    « It's doable and getting better »

The Suva motor Inn is totally fine. While perhaps a touch over priced, especially for international travelers, it is safe and hospitable. Several of the rooms have been recently renovated so some of the pictures taken by travelers would no longer apply. This is a great hotel for families because some of the rooms are basically two bedroom apartments. The staff are friendly. The pool seems always full and is kind of loud. The location of the hotel is great with close access to the downtown. The restaurant is not awesome, but not horrible either. Nice new Italian place has opened up in Albert park down the street and several other restaurants are conveniently located.

« Excellent!! Vinaka Suva Motor Inn! »

Great hotel. Clean, spacious rooms, excellent service, well priced restaurant/bar, central location and a neat pool. This was our second time staying at Suva Motor Inn and we wouldn't hesitate to come back again.

    « Worst Stay »

I have never experienced such a bad/ worse hotel in Fiji. After shower the water is on the bathroom floor. The room smelled like smoke room. The pictures on the website does not match. The front desk people are not helpful at all. We requested two rooms side by side but instead our families we were on separate floors. The pool water looks dirty and even the surrounding looks disgusting. There was no air conditioning unit instead a ceiling fan which does not help to keep the room cool. I would never ever recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Its a very low grade hotel. It gives bad image to the hotel industry in Fiji islands. Its not worth the money to stay

    « Excellent Stay - October 2016 »

We had an excellent stay. Our unit was very clean, spacious air- conditioned 2 bedroom unit . The staff were very friendly , helpful and very obliging. They provided great service daily. Good size swimming pool with water slide. Excellent location, close to city centre.

« Worst hotel in the world Don't stay there. »

One of the WORST hotels I have stayed in and I travel for work all the time so I have stayed in a lot of hotels all over the world. The photos on their website don't match the room. Except for only TWO rooms, all the rooms are VERY dirty, rundown and have not been updated since the 1970s. My work colleague had a RAT IN HIS ROOM! They also lie on thier website. They state they have cable and satellite TV but in fact only have 3 channels, Indian, cartoons, japanese news. Plus the reception is very bad. Hopeless. They state they have a guest laundry but there is NO laundry. Instead they charge high prices to do your laundry. Anywhere else they would be charged for false and misleading advertising. These people are thieves. They charge a lot but deliver a very substandard service. I had to specifically ask for my room to be serviced as the staff didn't even bother to service my room. When you walk in it is like walking into a concrete bunker and the room is very low over the stairs so there is a risk of heading your head when you go up and down between the floors. The staff don't seem to be helpful. They never resolve any issue you have but just make excuses. This is like a $30 hotel but they charge close to $300!

    « Good Stay & Centrally located »

Our stay in there has been good. Friendly staff. The rooms are serviced daily. Good facility. it is centrally located and easy access to the main town. Kids love the pools. It has parking facility and security is there all night so that is an advantage. Would love to go back again.

    4
    « Close to city »

The location is within easy walking of the city centre, Albert Park and Museum. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The room was large enough for two people, with chairs and a single bed and queen bed. The lighting was a bit dull, especially if you wanted to read away from the desk. There was a kitchen area with sink, fridge, microwave and basic eating bowls and cutlery. But there was no microwave cooking dish. We used the restaurant and were able to choose from a good menu. If there were more than 6 guests with cars then parking within the complex was difficult.

    « Old and Boring »

Stayed for a week as other apartments were fully booked at the time. The rooms decor, furniture, and bedding looks old and boring. Felt like I stepped into the 1980s. Needs a facelift. Friendly staff.

    « Great Hotel »

Love staying here - staff are really friendly, facilities are good. The restaurant is good and the swimming pool with waterslide is a great break for the kids. Nice and close to the city with lots of taxi's passing by.

« Enclave in the City »

We booked this hotel as a base for our activities and excursions. You really can't beat the price if you are staying busy with all of the activities available to you. We basically were only here in the late evenings and out the door very early. Our stay was 12 days and we had no issues. All of the staff is very friendly and were extremely helpful. Check in/out was smooth and easy. Room was large, clean and provided what we needed and expected. The pool area was nice with some kids playing on occasion. It's really quiet here and has a secluded feel in the city. Within walking distance to restaurants etc if you don't mind a 1/3 mile walk. Its close to the waterfront, we ran along the waterfront patch most days. Our room didn't have a chest of drawers, but had a big closet that worked just fine. All in all, a very good stay if you aren't looking for a full resort experience.

    « Pretty average »

Staff are friendly but facility is poor. Rooms are not that great. TV channels are poor and reception is shocking. They don't fix the issues you raise. The restaurant is average and they regularly can't serve items on thier menu. My employer books me in here by default, I then check out and go down the road to Grand Pacific which is an outstanding establishment.

« Basic hotel with poor client relations »

I received a written confirmation of my reservation from the hotel before starting my 16hr journey to Fiji, you can imagine my horror when I was told at check in that there were no rooms available. I had to haul my suitcase away to find another hotel at almost midnight on a Saturday night! I went back to the hotel the following day and followed up with the unapologetic hotel manager who informed me that I should have secured my booking with a credit card, a detail she had omitted while sending me a confirmation. This was very unprofessional, disappointing and disheartening ? first such experience in a Best Western branded hotel! The hotel is quite basic, has several types of rooms ideal for a lone or accompanied traveler. It's ideal for short stay since there are some self-catering rooms. Some rooms have an airy balcony while others don't, consequently you may need to change rooms several times before finding one that suits you. There is a swimming pool with a slide that can get noisy when there are several night swimmers.

    « Beware bed bugs »

We were woken at around 1130pm by something biting us and when we turned the lights on we discovered bed bugs in the bed and as we tried to kill them using tissues more started appearing from under the mattress. We called the receptionist and were moved to another room and as we were unpacking our bags my husband discovered bed bugs in the wardrobe and in the bathroom. Thankfully after many calls we managed to secure a room at another hotel and checked out around 1245am. We are still waiting for our refund.

« Great Location and friendly staff »

The rooms are large and spacious and clean. Rooms serviced daily. Restaurant meals are ok but with a limited menu and nothing fancy. Has a mid sized pool and water slide. Motel is within easy walking distance to numerous good restaurants and the major government offices and an easy 10 minute walk into the CBD.

    3
    « Just average accommodation »

Had to spend one night in Suva. This motel is hard to find and does not have good parking for those driving. Service was only average and the price I paid via booking.com was quite a bit higher than the standard room rate if booked direct. Wifi expensive

    « Food handling nightmare »

I cannot believe this property was rated at this level! I researched this trip well, and didn't expect anything flash, but now feel somewhat betrayed by the ratings. So here is my effort to give a clear picture of the property to those that might expect a clean, air conditioned room and safe if not tasty food. My room was not clean, it reeked of cigarette smoke, the "air conditioner" was a box hanging on the wall that rattled and blew out warmish air, but the clincher was the horrific meal that we paid for three times. Eating it, paying money for it, and then being sick for the next 7 days for me and 19 days for my husband. The menu item was described as chicken breast but had dark meat with strange joints in it and did not taste good. Obviously the food handling procedures are incredibly unsafe. This one meal ruined our entire holiday. What a shame! Fijians are a beautiful, friendly people - but we won't be anxious to return.

    « Great Hospitality »

I enjoyed all my time at Best Western Suva Motor Inn.The location is good and rooms are neat. Above all the staff are so warm that i always look forward returning to Fiji and staying at this hotel. The Management team is great and recommend visitors to Best Western Suva Motor Inn plus they have several more hotels in the Western Division and you always have a choice to stay at any of their hotel.

    2
« Paid Wifi and No Breakfast »

The price I paid for my room (about USD 80/night) is not worth it. The rooms are spacious with kitchenette (microwave, water heater, some utensils) but it is too big to be comfortably cooled by the under powered AC. For the amount I paid, I expected free wifi and breakfast. Do not be fooled when they say your room is at the second flood because it entails climbing several flights of stairs. There is no lift so this can be a challenge when you are carrying heavy luggage yourself.

    3
« Had an apartment and the aircon was only in the main bedroom, the rest of the rooms were stinking hot. »

The bathroom is out dated and needs work, staff are friendly but would not spend a lot of time here, restaurant has limited food options, not a restaurant really more like a pool bar. The food was ok but limited.

« Exceotionally Accomodating Staff, Best Location for both Business and Pleasure »

Our group of 25 people stayed here for 8 nights in January of this year and this would be our 4th stay at this hotel since coming to Fiji. This has been our 4th visit to Fiiji as a group and and we've always been treated exceptionally well by the staff who took care of our needs day in and out? from the hardworking ladies in Housekeeping, the Food and Beverage staff, Front Desk, Porters and all the way to management. This is a great place to stay for both business and pleasure. It has a great atmosphere for all types of travelers and a great place for families. Suva Motor Inn has an ideal location. It's tucked away in a quiet area ? with walking distance to central Suva. The Suva Museum, one of the nicest features of Suva is a minute walk from the hotel and so as the waterfront (seawall). The rooms facing Suva Harbor have the best views but the other rooms are equally nice; spacious, comfortable and reasonably priced compared to nearby hotels such as Holiday Inn and Tanoa Plaza. The daily room service made it more comfortable ? the maids were always available and willing to help despite the demands from our group. The staff was so patient and understanding. The hotel also has a nice restaurant and bar ? reasonable priced meals and drinks. The swimming pool makes a nice addition as Suva weather in January can be unbearably hot and humid. View from the dining area is surprisingly beautiful ? lush tropical vegetation despite its proximity to urban Suva. If you are on business ? the hotel has a nice conference room that can be rented at a reasonable cost. Thank you Ms. Kelera Ratumaiyale for being such a great leader (Manager). You have been very accommodating in making sure our group was not only take care off during the 8 days but received meals for the missed nights. You worked that out beautifully upon request without hesitation and it made our stay exceptionally special. Overall, this hotel has a great feel to it ? with private, warm and friendly atmosphere ? one that you can experience upon entering. We highly recommend this place for anyone planning to visit Suva. We plan to stay here again in our next visit to Suva. Vinaka Vakalevu.

    « Very Average »

The staff were very helpful and super friendly. The room was large and clean it had a kitchenette but only a microwave. The air conditioner was running but no cold air was produced, luckily the fan over the bed worked well. There is no hot water which was not an issue but the toilet was blocked when we arrived. They have a restaurant and pool. We ate breakfast, pancakes ok and the scrambled eggs were ok nothing special not well presented but staff make up for the down falls

« Inspected room and left. »

Room offered was up 7 floghts of stairs in the far back corner. The room smelled terrible and there were bugs and lizards in the room. We chose to look elsewhere and found the Holiday Inn down the road. I recommend skipping this hotel and heading for the Holiday Inn. Staff were ok but not overly keen to help.

    « Exceptional Staff »

Upon arriving at the hotel in Suva I explained that I needed to leave my bags in storage as myself and my colleague arrived in the morning and were going to explore the town, this was of course no issue and our bags were stored away quickly. Upon checking in later that day I was greeted with a very warm welcome by Epeli, he is extremely friendly and attentive and has a great way with people, although I am from London and I was on the other side of the world, I always felt at home. The purpose of my trip to Fiji was for work, I had booked my return flight on Sunday arriving at the hotel on Friday so that I had the opportunity to see Fijis islands I then spoke to Kelera and the staff at reception and I asked if there was any way if my booking could be transferred to a sister hotel, this had to be down between both hotels even though I understand this involved additional organisation and time between the two hotels, Kalera and all staff at Suva were more than happy to assist me this is surprising as in London people are not this friendly, they made sure I was looked after dropped me to the coach station made sure my booking was arranged and that I knew how to go to denrau port to even booking my trip for me on my behalf, I declined as I wanted to choose which island to visit on the day. Epeli personally came with me to the coach station and directed me to the correct coach to Nadi. Upon arriving at the best western hexagon international Rishi helped me with my bags I explained that I have an arrangement with the BW Suva instantly the staff at reception recognised me I was shown my room, Rishi showed me how to use the air con and I had a great nights rest. I cannot express enough, how greatful I am to all the staff who made this stay an amazing experience.

Enjoyed the stay with the superb customer service by the staffs of Suva Motor Inn. Convenient location which is just minutes away from the from major stores, bars & clubs. A place to be for a family stay out in the city.

    « Great location - Great Service »

Nice room, nice restaurant and very helpful service. The hotel is not 'grand', but everything works, it's quiet, and the restaurant is fine. But the thing I appreciated most was the response I got when I phoned to say that I had forgotten my iPhone charger. The lady at the desk had it delivered to a post office near me in Pacific Harbour, which was perfect, as I did not have to wait around for delivery. I really appreciated this extra and effective service!

« Friendly and lovely staff »

I have been a guest for more than a week and have to say that the rooms were clean every day and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The wifi connection is pretty bad unless you have a smart phone that you can purchase internet packages in town to access mails - otherwise, few computers are available downstairs if you want to transfer larger files.

    4
    « Sports trip »

We travelled with a sports team and supporters, 32 in total. It was a handy central location with great pool. We had a variety of different sized rooms and all were good. Staff were very accommodating. We would use them again.

« An excellent place to stay! »

I have been a guest here for a month now and never a time that i have to feel like i want to go home since the hotel offers so much comfortable services that makes me feel like i am home. The staff are great and are so friendly and also the rooms that they have are so comfortable and spacious that we feel so comfortable staying in. I would not recommend anything else to anyone than this wonderful hotel.

    « Nice quiet place »

Positives, - Friendly reception, - Clean place, - Being renovated - Pool finally had steps in the ladder, - Quiet place overlooking little palm tree Park - Behind police stop, - Kids love pool and slippery dip - Lovely central garden - Cheap happy hour 5- 7pm, Negative, - Rather 1970 decor - Interior tired, - Be careful, despite advertising self contained, some rooms only sink and microwave, - Air-conditioner in only one room, - At $240f a night fir 301,302, or,303 rather over priced - Some room no view, dark as narrow windows, Just not sure, Could be do worth the money

« Run down and disappointing! »

Travelling for business, entered room on 19 October to freshen up from 14 hour day and there was no water. Contacted reception and it took over 1.5 hours for someone to visit room and said I had to move to another room. On top of this there were flying ants everywhere in the room and the cleaning standards were very poor. The second room had water but again the hygiene was poor and it was 2 hours from arrival before I was able prepare for dinner. I will not be staying here again and have advised our business of this also.

    3
« Not worth the room rate charged »

We go to Suva for business and have stayed at the hotel several times in the past. We stopped going there because of the poor standard of the accommodation. After several months we decided to give the hotel another try. On check in we were given room 212, there was no hot water at all the cold water produced a trickle so you couldn't have a shower. There were ants all over the bathroom wall and the kitchen bench. The air conditioner made a terrible noise and no cold air came out. 2 of the lights didn't work. There sere workman banging in the room next door and the noise was so bad you had to yell over their work to be heard. We asked to be moved, the receptionist was very obliging and put us into room 204. This room has been renovated and is ok, however once again the air conditioner didn't work and there are only a couple of lights in the room so very dark. Unfortunately we want be back, The room rate of $104US and upwards is not worth paying for the accommodation. It is in the bracket of a 2 star hotel. The reception staff are very nice, it is a pity because Best Western should be better than a 2 star hotel in Suva.

    2
« Slow internet, noisy rooms, great staff »

I stayed at this hotel for the second time. I find the staff very nice and friendly and that makes up for a lot. The hotel is extremely noisy, avoid at all costs rooms 101-105 which are next to the swimming pool (front) and parking lot (back) and the loud music played every day in the restaurant (across the pool). I moved to another room on the 2nd floor which was better, but the walls are thin and from the back you can hear the parking lot and loudly speaking drivers (or arguing drunk customers). Thank Buddha for ear-plugs. The WiFi is a rip-off. I paid 50 US$ for a one week package but more than half the time it did not work inside my hotelroom, it worked OK in the lobby and restaurant.

« suva motor inn review »

the hotel is located in a quiet setting and within walking distance to the city. Good relations with staff, who also helped with my office needs like a stapler and ink pad. Had an enjoyable stay over the Fiji day weekend. Taxis are very accessible.

« Hotel Rate (For Locals) »

This is one of the best Hotel in Suva but the rate for us local is quite expensive. On September 2015 was my third time to be accomodated there with my family. We first accomodated there in 2009, 2014 and again 2015. We love the hotel and staff are caring and helpful and it is near the main city. We will be booking our next accomodation there in 2016 and wish if the rate for night will be reduced at a reasonable price for us local. We have been paying $224/night that is for family room and we will be there again next year and hope for a reduced rate. Thanks

    « BED BUGS! »

We stayed at the Best Western for a few nights and my friend was badly bitten by bed bugs. It was very bad and we have to move out even though full payment was made in advance. However, Best Western did refund our paid unused rooms due to their unhygienic condition.

« time waste money waste »

This is one of the worse hotel in Fiji we stayed in this hotel on January TRIP 2015 and they billed us double the price we paid Aud $400 from Sydney and the room which was given to us was dirty and dark room had no lights ,after complaining to the management they give us another room and after a while we found out that shower drainage is blocked and bed was awful on our last day office sent us another bill which was for $800fjd when we find out why they billed us again they said it is for upgrade, but we were not aware of it at all ? that it is for the upgrade, unfortunately the room was not worth at all , we are still waiting for our compensation from hotel and up till now we have had nothing from management . one more thing swimming pool was yuck, my kids got stomach bug after swimming in the pool due to locals were spitting in the pool and God knows what else they must have been doing in that pool , kids ended up in the hospital . I hope management will do something about this complaint . Anyone thinking of staying in this hotel please think twice otherwise you will be just wasting your time and money "no breakfast" plus you have to "climb hundreds of steps "to go to your room because they is no "elevator" ,

    3
    « great service »

this hotel is in a very quiet location. The staff are very helpful and provided great service. The pool was a bit cold in the afternoon. the rooms are a bit old but to be expected given the age of the building.

« A reasonable hotel for the price »

A clean, friendly mid range hotel. Only stayed for a couple of days but was fine for the purpose, probably wouldn't want to spend longer than that as it is a fairly basic offering but I imagine is good for business trips.
