Best Western Maritime Inn

Pros: large parking lot. Cons: 1. Bathroom has no vanity, no faucet, which is VERY inconvenient. 2. Light in the bathroom turns off suddenly, and you cannot turn it on for a while. 3. Front desk person barely speaks English. 4. No alarm clock in the room. 5. Breakfast is poor and tasteless; coffee machine did not work. 6. Not possible to switch from shower to faucet. 7. Cold air in the hallways and the breakfast room.

The first room we were given hadn't been cleaned and new room given when we asked. The staff was rude when we requested housekeeping services after 1 night's stay. My partner and I were basically "blown-off" when we asked being told that they only do that every other day. The room was bit outdated with absolutely no USB outlets in the room.

The property is tired, worn out, pooped! Exterior shabby. No TV guides in rooms. Thin old blankets between sheets that hide how old they are. Pets welcome, however, which was great for us. No plants or art or anything that would make one feel welcome or happy to be there. Utilitarian.

The room was beautifully remodeled! Breakfast bar was fantastic! Staff was attentive and respectful! The coffee in the lobby was there every time of the day too. The beds were comfortable and clean! I have always enjoyed my stay here. I can stay here for one night rather than having to book for 2 or 3 nights which is required at most of the places in Door County.

Over all it was a very nice hotel. We had a spacious room, although there was a couple of exceptions , the bathroom didn't have a sink , you had to walk over by the door to wash your hands, and brush your teeth. Then they had a cupboard on the wall with exposed plumbing underneath. Could have been a sink not sure. Beds were comfortable.

The hotel is an older hotel that needs some updating but overall a decent stay. The girl at the front desk was very helpful and she let us have a noon checkout to accommodate a kayak reservation we had on Lake Michigan. The breakfast selection was very good, the only issue I saw was the lady replenishing the bread and bagels was using her bare hands rather than wearing gloves. Since she had just moved the trash and replaced the bag, her bare hands were not very sanitary and I did not think she should be handling food items.

Overall this hotel is in some dire need of maintenance. Lots of cracks in pool area. Pool and hot tub need to be cleaned desperately. Shower handle was loose but worked. There was tape on the walls, hair that was not ours in hair dryer, sofabed sheets were dirty and a dirty shirt that was not ours was found inside the sofabed. For the price, I expected more.

Changed my mind about 2-star hotels! Room: Was fine, clean, no complaints. Good beds, bedding and pillows. Reasonably updated. REFRIGATOR was large with a freezer compartment so we could refreeze our cooler packs. Plenty of easy parking, different outside doors for easy access to your room. Breakfast: Ok but the same eggs/meat 2 days in a row.

Have stayed here before and though the location isn't bad it's still not in the heart of all the attractions in Door County yet the hotel prices their rooms as if it was. Hotel looks old and poorly maintained.

What we liked: The breakfast was ample, including breakfast sandwiches. The toilet and shower were in a separate room from the sink. The room was quiet and spacious. And the motel was near a very nice restaurant. What we did not like: The television did not work properly. We could not get the stations indicated on the screen. The room clerk/manager came to the room and could not make the TV work correctly. And by the way, it only had Fox cable news, not PBS, CNN, or MSNBC. The old showerhead had dark stuff inside the nozzle. It looked moldy. There were few places to plug in our electrical devices, like our phone rechargers. When we checked out, I asked about a discount because of the useless TV but was denied.

This was an easy to go place with hot tub and pool. Great Staff & breakfast. The place could have been cleaner & needs a lot of updating. It was good enough to do what we wanted during the day & relax & sleep at night. Nothing too fancy.

Front staff was great. Breakfast was typical for similar hotels. Air conditioning unit only worked sporadically. Room was damp and had chlorine smell. Not terrible experience, but could have been better.

Front desk and Breakfast service staff were fantastic (warm and inviting, knowledgeable of the area, provisioned supplies when requested). Location provides easy access to Sturgeon West and East sides entertainment, shopping and park areas. Super easy 2 miles to main highway for heading up to Door County. Modest Breakfast but ample and good coffee (and I'm a coffee snob) Pool area was very large with an ample hot-tub. (we didn't use either were semi-in-COVID mode yet)

Everyone at Centerpointe Marina has their friends and family stay at the Maritime Inn. That's how I found it years ago. The staff is friendly and hardworking. The breakfast buffet has everything from breakfast sandwiches, waffles, pastries, hot and cold cereal, and snack bars. I know I'm missing something, it's well done. The staff is always tending to the buffet and cleaning tables. The rooms are large with a nice tv and plenty of channels. The indoor pool is nice. It's a great value that can be hard to find in this vacation area. Plus you'll be close to restaurants like Old Mexico as well as the chains. Walmart and Tadych ‘s Finer Foods are just up the road. CVS is a short walk.

My room was immaculate and the staff were all extremely courteous. The hot tub and pool area was very clean and relaxing. The location was quiet and I was able to sleep well in the bed. Mattress and pillows were very comfortable.

This location was perfect for me, since I was working in the hospital. Very friendly staff and the accommodations were clean. The staff let me check out late since there was a bad snow storm, and I was between shifts, and unable to get home. The room was also very quiet.

The motel is in a good location. It is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Check-in was fast and easy. The parking lot is big and safe. The breakfast is very good. There is no reason to leave hungry.

From the outside the hotel looks like it is in need of a refresh, specially there is lots of chipping paint. The indoors however is very clean and well maintained. TV is in the smaller side. Pool and hot tub area was very clean and enjoyable.

We have stayed at this hotel the number of times and it's always been a pleasant experience with helpful staff, clean rooms, great location and a decent price especially during the off season. We have stayed once or twice and another hotel, but once we found the maritime inn, we have not stayed anywhere else in town.

A few years ago we stayed at this hotel and it was good,now they moved the breakfast to the lobby and the food is not as good as it was.the rooms need to be alot better and updated,the furniture is very outdated

Staff was prompt and attentive when checking-in. Pool was a nice size and the hotels location is easy to get to with plenty of parking. Definitely an older building that needs to be gutted and remodeled. Also, housekeeping only placed 3 sets of towels in the room for 4 guests.

The room was depressing. The faucets were “fixed” so you couldn't turn them all the way on. This resulted in barely warm water and low pressure. There was only a blanket in between two top sheets. The first night we were cold- second we asked for another blanket. The pool looked green or needed to be shocked- we didn't go in. This is not a $153 a night hotel.

They gave us poop bags and treats and there was plenty of grass to exercise our dog. The coffee machine was available at all hours and the breakfast was always a hot sandwich. We stayed for four days this Octobe and three days last September.

The hotel is older and a little worn but clean and the staff was friendly. The hotel is easy to find right off Egg Harbor rd. Breakfast was breakfast sandwiches and donuts in a sleeve. Juice was in bottles.

The outside of this hotel looks dated and needs a remodel but the inside is better than the outside. Our room was clean and nice and I would stay here again. There wasn't any daily room service, but that seems to be a new trend I've seen in other hotels, probably driven by lack of staff and perhaps a change in the service model that may be permanent? I didn't mind that too much because whenever we needed towels or something, the front desk was always able to supply what we needed. The staff was nice and friendly. There is continental breakfast but it was somewhat lacking. There were some pre-warmed breakfast sandwiches, coffee, a few other things. No waffle maker. We went to the McDonald's down the street for a better breakfast variety.

Back to back Best Western disasters (Mackinaw City). Selected this place because it was the only place I could find in Door County that didn't require a 2 night minimum. Not a single USB port in the room, no clock, smallest tv I've seen in years and the full length mirror was mounted on the inside of the bathroom door, so that was what you looked at while sitting on the throne! Pretty good location for access to roads, etc. but certainly not scenic. Breakfast (Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich) was served in the lobby where tables were 6 feet from front desk. The very plus side, was the very efficient young lady at the desk when we checked in.

Some of the best customer service I've had at a hotel. A good friend and I were on a flying trip for the very first time, and due to missing flights and other delays, we did not arrive at the hotel until almost 5 am the next day, and they gave us a night off for our late arrival (even though I reserved the room for the day before as well). They also provided us with water bottles (nice and chilled even). They also provided us with eating ware such as plastic forks for our stay. They did not have to do this, but they went the absolute mile for us. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I needed to go this location again!

Pros: Great location for events at the fair grounds. CVS is across the street for easy access. Front desk team always had a smile and were very professional. Clean sheets on the bed. Cons: The rooms badly need a remodel. Window trim on the inside need repair as wood trim was not attached (could see outside). Window was either very dirty or had some sort of moldy pattern within the pane. The AC had a must smell where either the unit needed to be deep cleaned or replaced. I was worried it was unsafe. We viewed our stay as “glamping” definitely not a typical hotel stay for $180-$200 per night. I understand it's DC and owners can charge based on demand, but a reasonable rate would be closer to $70 for the quality and condition of the rooms. Please consider remodeling so that the reputation doesn't deteriorate too much!

We enjoyed our stay at the Maritime Inn. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was spartan but 24/7 coffee was a bonus. There was plenty of parking and the location gave easy access to Sturgeon Bay as well as the rest of Door County.

When we pulled up the exterior was rough and we thought the rooms would be trashy. We were wrong…the rooms were clean and comfortable and the service was top notch. The pool area needs a little TLC especially by the hot tub…but this hotel was worth the value

I stayed at this hotel a number of times several years ago but stopped after they gave us a room with filthy bed sheets that were never changed after the previous guests checked out and a horrible musty damp smell in the room. I heard this hotel was now under new ownership and that they had taken care of the musty smells in the rooms so we thought we would give them another try but found the only thing the they did was install a portable dehumidifier in the room which did nothing for the musty smells which were just as bad as the last time we stayed there. This hotel is in need of maintenance , housekeeping and is grossly overpriced for a below average hotel .

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. Everything is wonderful, from the breakfast, to the very friendly accommodating staff. It is in a really great location. I will definitely be back next year.

Upon arrival at the hotel the front desk informed us that there is no housekeeping. Had I known this at the time of booking I never would have stayed here. We came from six states away with two small children, we did not bring the necessary items to fully clean a room after little ones have eaten and played in it. This is ridiculous. We didn't come on vacation to pay this price and sit in filth. The first morning we went down to the pool and it was so cloudy my husband didn't want to go in - and he has no fear of anything creepy dirty or gross. We saw a huge breakfast room near the pool but they no longer do breakfast there, it's at the front desk where it's crowded and busy and everyone is reaching over everyone to get stuff. This is turning out to be an awful stay and we are still here for a few nights. Considering finding a different place for the last night and just chalking it up to a loss.

This past weekend my boyfriend and I stayed at the Best Western Maritime Inn for two nights while we explored Door County, WI. The area is nice, not too far from downtown Sturgeon Bay and lots of food options nearby. The hotel itself is a little dated, and much like the rest of the US they are experiencing staffing shortages. For that reason breakfast was limited and they weren't offering room service. In my opinion, the room rates should've been cheaper all things considered.

We stayed for 3 days and we had to call down to the desk for more towels, toilet paper etc. If I would have known that there was no housekeeping, I would have booked another hotel! Front desk was nice.

Very clean room. Did not have daily room service, but efficiently provided whatever we needed, e.g., fresh towel. All the amenities were in working order and the staff we engaged were very friendly and helpful.

Staff here are very nice and helpful. I was worried our room behind the desk area might be loud but it was fine. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Summer rates in this area are high - it isn't the hotel's fault we were only there for eight hours.

The rooms were nice however the outside and common areas could use some tlc.we were pleased with the service and the breakfast was good. If you are coming because it is dog friendly be aware there is very little grass.

Overall satisfied. Clean, easy access, friendly staff. Quiet room despite being full. Nice quiet airconditioning unit, a rarity! Breakfast was disappointing, but that was not what I was there for anyway.

Despite being listed as pet friendly, the hotel was happy to charge a per diem for a pet, only to require that the pet never be left unattended in the room at any time. How is this possible? The fact that said pet would be confined to her crate when left alone didn't make any difference to them. The room itself was decent and the indoor pool was about as large as you could expect, so those were the positives that I need to acknowledge.

Stayed Fathers Day weekend - great value, clean & easy to get to! The staff was great - friendly & very knowledgeable! Enjoyed talking with them! Appreciated the reminder emails! Sturgeon Bay has a very nice downtown area and easy to get around. Looking forward to returning!

this was an older hotel off the beaten path but extremely clean and excellent staff!!! already booked another night in July. Highly recommend this place! the pool water was a nice temperature and clean~

Maritime Inn is always clean and professionally managed. Staff is knowledgeable about local restaurants and places to visit. They are very friendly, courteous, and well trained. Breakfast is Grab and Go, but well done in quality and variety.

Although I came here during winter this hotel is a great place. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was as I would expect it to be. TV is a little small but I can live with that. If one wants a place to stay in Sturgeon Bay then this is the place to stay.

Beds were comfortable. Room was quiet. Overall room was clean. The building as a whole could use a facelift, worn along the edges. Not a bad place to stay for a weekend while visiting the Door County area.

For a family leaf peeping weekend trip to Wisconsin with a dog, this was the only option available. The location was good, with only 20-30 minutes to most of the places we wanted to go. The fall festival in Sister Bay was great. Hiking in various parks and beaches was also great. The hotel itself is outdated, definitely needs a major overhaul. The room was very moist (not sure if because it was right next to the pool). Dark and did not give an impression of being very clean, although we did not encounter any cleaning issues. Just hard to tell if it was clean or not. Very old decor, and way overpriced. This would be a $50/night hotel in most other places. But they did allow dogs, and for our needs for this weekend trip, the hotel did the job. Albeit not a cheap option.

This is an older property in a convenient location with many rooms having a balcony overlooking the water. Check in was organized. Coffee in lobby 24/7 — which is a plus for us because I don't like the mini-machines in room. Rooms were clean and the balcony was so nice!

We were looking for a place to stay with our dog and this worked out perfect for us. Staff was friendly, hotel was clean, Great crab and go breakfast. Close to stores and restaurants. Nice size refrigerator and microwave in room. Overall a great place to stay.

We stayed here several years ago, and were perfectly happy to book again last week. However, this hotel's condition has taken a turn for the worse since our last visit. The neglect is evident from the outside where paint is clearly peeling in many places. Then you walk into the lobby where cardboard delivery boxes are stacked in plain view. The lobby should be where a hotel looks best. Not here. Our room was worse. It appeared clean enough. However, the bath tub and shower had almost no pressure. This was very odd because the sink and toilet had plenty of pressure. Finally they claimed they did not have enough help to refresh our room, but we could leave used towels in the hallway (imagine a hallway with dirty towels outside most rooms) and they would bring fresh towels. Fair enough, help is hard to find these days, but then we should get a price break--but none was offered. The fresh towels never arrived either, we had to call and ask. Overall, we do not recommend anyone stay at this hotel.

One of the cleanest rooms I have seen. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The Grab and Go Breakfast was vey good. Much more than I expected. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for a quick weekend trip for a girls trip. Hotel was very, very clean and bed was very comfortable to sleep in. Liked that there were pool towels available for use in the pool / hottub area. Great for families and friends.

Britney did a great job checking us in. Standard hotel room. Clean with regular amenities including a coffee pot which some hotels have discontinued since Covid. It was easy to get around. Close to shopping, restaurants and fairly close to Starboard Brewing Co.

We stayed here as a base for visiting Door County. It is located off a main road which was nice. Check in was easy and the young lady working was very pleasant and kind. Our room was clean and comfortable. The beds were great to sleep in. The pool tended to be busy but the kids liked it. We stayed 3 nights. So we had 3 breakfasts. The woman in the morning was the only person I met here who wasn't nice. I came down to get breakfast the first morning. She says “ what do you want?” I replied our breakfast if possible. She goes in the back for a while and comes back with two bags. These are lunch bags. One is stuffed with four orange juices. The other has muffins on the bottom, 4 yogurts, and 4 bananas. They don't fit of course. I ask for spoons and she sighs and goes in the back for them. I barely get away from the desk and my bag of juices is soaked and the bottles fall out. Next day same woman, same breakfast. Only I came prepared with my own bag. Third day it was a man. He was very pleasant. Plus he gave us choices for breakfast. Turns out we should of had choices each morning. We now got a breakfast sandwich which was much better than squashed muffins we couldn't eat. I would stay here again if I visit again. But I hope they change the front desk person. She is definitely not a people person.

Breakfast wasn't ready until 1030 am but the kicker was the disgusting bathroom. A crusty, smelly washcloth was stuck in the shower curtain and body hairs from someone all over the shower. Nothing like washing my hair and looking over to see a filthy rag right by my face. I called the manager and I was given $50 off. Not worth it. A $75 room for $180 price? Maybe if it was cleaned. Ruined my trip to Door County. Never again.

Only stay at this hotel in Door county very clean very nice, helpful friendly staff well appointed upto date amenities great home base for exploring Fish creek Egg Harbor, Sturgeon Bay, Efhram and down town shops and restaurants

This was a better experience than we expected. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and we appreciated grab and go breakfast. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Like that they have 24 hour coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.

Overall, a decent hotel. Room was clean and spacious, but a little dated. Some of the common areas could use a bit of cleaning/updating. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the “grab and go” breakfast. Very generous and filling. Rooms were very well insulated from noise, and came with a large fridge and microwave. The only real complaint we had was the air conditioning. It was not working properly. It had been set to 60 and was making strange noises. We figured out it had seized up and finally got it working but the room was kind of uncomfortable for awhile.

This is our 2nd visit to this property our first stay was very good this stay was average at best. Because of covid breakfast was grab and go which I understand. The room was nothing special some new pieces of furniture but all mismatched. The tub drain didn't drain toilet didn't flush correctly and no housekeeping beacause of covid. the rate was 179.00 per night i've been to a lot better properities for much less.

Nice, clean room with friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend staying here. Nice exterior and nice lobby area. Breakfast wasn't great, but that was mostly due to covid. We also loved the hot tub!

Last minute booking, great service, and location. At arrival was greeted by a very friendly host. Room was nicely located on first floor, which worked great with a pet. Love the convince of this hotel.

We stayed two nights. The exterior could use some work but don't let that fool you. The rooms were plenty big, clean and nice. Nice size pool and a decent grab-and-go breakfast. Rooms also had a microwave and dorm fridge. Super friendly staff. No housekeeping but you can quickly and easily get whatever you need.

The room we had was spacious and clean. Considering the Covid-19 virus they do a great job. Looking forward to a return stay there. All the employee's were nice. The only problem we experience was late night arrivals to the room above us that were very noisy for a while.

The floors and doors are so thin there is no sleeping that happens. The beds were so uncomfortable they should offer you a pass to just use the hot tub for the next few days to fix what the bed does to your back.

Hotel was clean and staff was courteous. Room met expectations and was convenient location that met our needs to places we wanted to go to. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean and functional. I would recommend the hotel to any visitors of Sturgeon Bay, WI.

Nice place for dogs, clean, nothing fancy needed, our trip was for hiking and having our dogs with us. Flooring was frest for dogs. Loud refrigerator or heating, coukdntbtell but we w ere so tired from being out hiking in cool air that it did not keep us awake

The stay was overpriced due to to the lack of advertised amenities “due to COVID”. Had they advertised accordingly, we wouldn't have chosen to stay there. Room and appliances didn't offer much and were outdated. They masqueraded laziness with COVID policy. Front desk stated pool was shut down because they “couldn't enforce social distancing” which supposedly they can enforce everywhere else? We were told upon arrival that the traditional continental breakfast was not being offered due to COVID. If small mom and pop stores can keep their breakfast and lunch shops open then a hotel should be able to perform the same. They had a “to go” option for continental breakfast at the front desk which was some fruit and a stale muffin in a brown bag. Pure laziness.

Best location for traveling Door County. Close to General stores and resturants. Room was quiet and comfortable. Priced right for the area and pet freindly. Plenty of parking and enterances for entering to your room.

I understand this is a two star hotel. I understand you get what you pay for. However, I expect any hotel room, other than one you pay for by the hour, to not smell musty, to not have a damp carpet, to not have facial/pubic hairs of various colors on the shower wall. It was obvious the bed headboards had been replaced due to the appearance of the old paint color on the wall where the old headboards used to be. The pool and hot tub were closed due to COVID-19 which is fine. However, both were covered in green slime. Why didn't they just empty them or at least clean them occasionally?

Great location that is within 20 minutes of many Door County top attraction -- parks, water, and restaurants. Extra friendly staff, exemplified by KP Patel who was there during our long weekend. Pet friendly and very clean throughout. COVID-19 prevented breakfast buffet, however grab and go breakfast with 24 hour coffee and tea was very acceptable! Looking forward to our next stay.

We have stayed here many times before and have really enjoyed it, but this last visit we just had will most likely be out last. We are VERY UPSET with current the policies in place. We used to love staying here because the rooms are nice and spacious, the pool and hot tub are very nice and they normally have an outstanding breakfast. They also allow dogs which is a major bonus for us! However....... This last visit they told us at check-in that dogs cannot be left in the room alone. This was never true in the past. Who wants to sit in a hotel room their entire trip?!?! That is not a vacation! We had to find all pet-friendly activities to do which was difficult at times. If you are a pet friendly hotel, then you need to truly be pet friendly. Especially when you charge $20 extra dollars a night per pet. I understand new policies are required due to COVID-19, however this hotel is using it as an excuse to be very LAZY! First of all the pool and hot tub are closed. We were not informed of this when booking our room and you can tell they made it difficult to find on their website. The CDC has made it clear that it is almost impossible to catch COVID from being in a pool and hot tub because of all of the chemicals. They could have limited the amount of people in the pool area at one time but their is no reason to close it. Just seems lazy to me. The breakfast was also a joke!!!! We got one banana, one granola bar, and a little orange juice in a bag as our breakfast. That is not ok. Especially when breakfast is part of the room charge. Online it stated that they would either have a grab and go breakfast that would also have a hot sandwich, a pastry or bread, and 2 cereal options, or that they would be having staff bring the food out to the tables instead of having a serve yourself breakfast. Another example of them using COVID to be cheap and lazy! Also, we found an old used hair tie in our shower which means our bathroom was not thoroughly checked and cleaned....and during a pandemic!!! >:-| The only reason I rated this as a 2 is because the staff is very nice and I know these policies are not their fault. Whoever was in charge of making these policies though really made some bad calls. Plain and simple. I am sorry but you cannot charge people the same amount and literally not provide any of the extra amenities that are already built into the room rate. We were very disappointed. :(

We spent 1 night recently at the BW Sturgeon Bay, WI. location to visit some out or state family members. The room was nice and clean, and quiet (we had a 2nd floor room). I understand that the pool and hottub needed to be closed for health reasons, but the normal hot/cold breakfast we normally would enjoy was slimmed down to a "grab and go" breakfast bar, piece of fruit and some juice. Since there was a McDonald's right across the street it would have been a nice touch to offer a $5 or $10 gift card for breakfast. We opted to go to The Rusty Tractor Breakfast Barn near Egg Harbor to have a hot sit down breakfast there as we were going to do some shopping before heading back home. Either that or charge less for the room because there was no breakfast and no pool. We will still stay at this location because we really like this motel and the location.

Great rooms for the bucks, clean and friendly service. Great location for travelers. Close to attractions and dining. Easy access to main roads. Great if your traveling with a pet, they even give free dog treats.

First time visitor to Door County. Not sure where to stay. Looked at reviews & chose BWMI. I am so glad we did. The staff were friendly, accommodating and professional. The outside of the property was well maintained. (Good first impression.) The front lobby was clean and modern. The room was clean, large and well maintained (except for the windows, which I was unable to open). Overall, it was a great landing place for our family of six!

I grew up camping in Door County and my family needed a trip after the past weeks. I chose this place to save some $ and when I looked into it, the pool was open. Unfortunately, it was closed so that was a bummer for my kids. Other than that, isn't have any complaints. It was clean, our two Queen was huge, and it worked out for us as a base for the weekend. The staff was all nice and helpful when we needed anything. I would stay here again and hopefully the pool and breakfast area are open.

Check in was fast and super easy. Me and my wife have stayed on both the first and second floors, and they are both pretty similar. For this trip we were on the second floor. Hotel wasn't too busy at the time, so it was very quiet. The pool and hot tub are great! Again, we had the whole pool to ourselves and were able to relax in the hot tub. The rooms are extremely clean, the micro-fridge holds on all the things we need (managed to get my growler of beer from Starport Brewery in Sturgeon Bay in there). The bed was very comfy, and slept great. The breakfast spread is always great! I really enjoy the fresh pico salsa they put out to enjoy on my eggs and sausage. They also put out fresh granola with all the toppings you would need. Check out was super quick and easy too! We will continue to show patronage to this hotel in the near future.

Rooms were very nice and clean very roomy plenty of seating options the breakfast in the morning had plenty of varieties for all to choose the staff was continuously refreshing what was out there the spa and pool area or nice and clean the staff was always smiling and friendly

Front Desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub worked well and stayed clean. Room was also clean and well stocked. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Sturgeon Bay.

This was an overall nice property. It was a last minute getaway. The rooms were okay. The decor has seen better days. Definitely worn, and mismatched furniture. The biggest complaint was the bed. Myself nor my spouse had a restful sleep. The bed was comparable to a bed of cinder blocks. The breakfast was a great amenity. The location was within quick driving distance to all sorts of fun visits. The concierge staff was so friendly and helpful. This is in no way a luxe getaway, but a value for the area.

We always stay there when we come up twice a year to visit family. It's close to a grocery store and Walmart in case we forget to pack something or need snacks, and close to one of our family members.

Everyone at the hotel was very nice and helpful! We really liked the morning female worker and the guy who worked at night. They were very friendly! Breakfast was also amazing with lots of options. The whirlpool room is great for couples looking to get away at a reasonable price.

Clean updated rooms, friendly staff, great price. It's not a fancy hotel but is great for the average customer. Kids loved the warm pool and hot tub. Beds very comfortable and fluffy pillows. Well enjoyed for just a simple family vacation.

We found this hotel 2 years ago when we come for Pumpkin Fest and will continue to stay here. Everyone is nice, the rooms have always been clean and they offer a nice breakfast in the morning with many varieties.

Place was very clean. Heat/AC was easy to regulate. TV was HD with plenty of channels available. Water pressure and temperature was nice. Spacious room. Comfortable bed. I bring my own pillow, but I didn't need it. Have an elevator. Hot breakfast was good. Desk staff was friendlly.

This Best Western was first class in every way ! Great service, food, clean and quiet. No need to look elsewhere if you need a room while visiting Door County ! It was easy to head north to see all that the area has to offer !

We visited Door County for 2 days and one night, which we spent at Best Western Maritime Inn in Sturgeon Bay. The hotel was convenient, a short drive from downtown shopping and museums, and from Potawatomi State Park. Our room was clean and comfortable and spacious, the young woman at the desk was helpful, the hotel was quiet except for the refrigerator, and the free breakfast was nice. We didn't use the indoor pool or free wifi, so can't comment on them.

Always a pleasure to stay here and enjoy the area. The accommodations are excellent. The breakfast is always very devine. They always try to help you whenever you have a problem. One of the best places to stay in Door Co.

Room was dirty and smelled very musty. Tried to take a shower and there was no hot water. I guess they are doing updates to this location as there was a big construction dumpster that was right outside my window in front parking lot. They should have put this off to the side of the building!!

The hotel room we had was all new . Everything was new and it was a awesome room. However the prices to stay here are way to high. I am sure it is because it is in Door county. Which seems to be high priced anyways.

Stay over two nights based on the recommended of family members as an affordable hotel in the Door County area. Our expectations were met. Rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly. Slightly better than a continental breakfast provided in the morning. If you are looking for an affordable room in town and like us do not care about a lake view, then I recommend this hotel.

Don't ask for an additional one hour late check out because you will not get it. They cater to a bike club but we were part of a different 3000 participant bike ride and they did not care. We have stayed there often in the past and never asked for a late check out. They only care about this bike club and not the riders of the Door County Century.

If you are visiting Sturgeon Bay or Sister Bay, this hotel is in a nice quiet neighborhood with Walmart, McDonald's and Subway close enough to meet your quick needs. Free breakfast was generous enough and the swimming pool was well maintained.

The title says it all. Needed a place to stay near Door County and this was perfect. Very fair price and as the title says... Great new construction hotel, very clean, comfortable, great breakfast. For sure will use this hotel next time we visit Door County

Spent four nights in Room 155. The room smelled musty. The bathroom door stuck when it was closed and you almost couldn't get out of the bathroom. Room was not very clean and the card key hardly ever worked. Will not stay here again and may rethink staying at Best Western again.

We booked the bw last minute and didnt know what to expect since we usually book Wyndham hotels, but we were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The pool wasnt the largest or deepest but the hot tub was good and hot! Breakfast was the best part, this is the first hotel we've been in that has an omelet bar for breakfast(compared to just your standard eggs and a few sausage links that most places have) we will definitely be booking here again next year when we come up for business!

This hotel was not only reasonably priced, but was very clean and had an excellent breakfast! The front desk staff was very helpful and even showed us places we should visit while in Door County. I would highly recommend staying here.

Having stayed before we notice some needed improvements. Our room was clean. However the air conditioning unit didn't work. It was either too cold or too warm and it wouldn't regulate with a thermostat....probably too old or whatever. Other members of our family stayed in another room which really smelled bad. It was a lingering odor that even after a few nights never left. Breakfast was good. We realize the room cost was reasonable for Door County, but they need to do some updating (room smells, room HVAC). The pool area also needs better ventilation as the chlorine order is almost unbearable. We were somewhat disappointed this time.

Though this hotel is not on the water, it is close to downtown and highway 42/57. The rooms are super spacious and have refrigerators, hairdryers, and coffee. Hot breakfast in the morning, hot tub, swimming pool, and small arcade. It was very quiet when were there and we both slept great! Thanks for a great stay.

We stayed with our Yorkie, Mr. snickers. Check in was quick and efficient. Room was ready on time, and there were no issues with the room. All amenities were there in ample supply. Room was neat and clean. All light worked as did TV. High shower head produced a comfortable spray, and bathroom was very clean, even in corners. However, firmer pillows would be appreciated. We will be returning.

We stayed in Room 301, which is a king jacuzzi suite. Everything worked great and was scrupulously clean. An added bonus: a bathroom fan! As a celiac, I also appreciated the breakfast room containing individually packed gluten-free General Mills cereal, hard-boiled eggs, Yoplait yogurt, and fresh fruit.

Stayed one night (July 15) in a first floor room (room 156). The room was dank and musty; the carpet almost felt damp. The air was so thick I actually felt congested. The room overall seemed worn. The breakfast was mediocre. Management/staff never responded to concerns. One bright spot was the pool, which was great size and well maintained.

Jean at the front desk was great but other than that the room left a lot to be desired. It looked a little outdated but clean but it really wasn't. We were in room 155 and it had laminate wood floors which were so dirty my son's feet and husband's socks were black after walking on the floor. I always were shoes while in hotel rooms, they did so after noticing the floors. The room also felt damp, the sheets and pillows were damp feeling. The bed was comfortable. If we would've been able to find another we would have. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else

The Hampton Inn crowd may be a little disappointed, as the property isn't quite as modern looking and the breakfast not as extensive. It's also located closer to the inner city so I was a little concerned about the security of my vehicle in the parking lot, especially since there's really no lighting. With that said, the place was clean, the staff was very friendly, and there is an indoor pool and hot tub. If you're looking to save a few bucks or don't have many options, this place is just fine.

Friendly staff. Room was clean and smelled good. The air conditioning was on so when we came in it was nice and cool after being outside in the heat all day. Staff was very helpful when looking for suggestions for dinner and things to do.

I wanted an economical place to stay in Sit Country. This place had an available discount through my work, and so was a good deal. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Updated throughout, comfortable beds, clean. The breakfast area was the highlight. Sunny and bright, they keep it well-stocked. Hot food like eggs/omelets, biscuits/gravy, sausage daily along with other typical stuff.

Room was very clean overall, but really needed a good dusting, especially headboards, which were noticeably dusty when propped up in bed to watch TV. Remote for TV was low on battery power and my sister made 3 trips to the front desk asking for fresh ones. Although not unpleasant, the desk attendant made it clear that there was probably a "wrong button pushed on the remote." He offered to come to the room to resolve the issue, but since it was 5 AM and I was still sleeping, she declined his offer. She gave up in frustration. We did enjoy the breakfast offerings, which were varied and plentiful. We also liked the liquid soap dispensers.

I love this BW It is close to were I want to go when Im in Wisconsin. Everyone is always nice. The foor is good. Guests are usually quiet. The beds are very hard so I wake up sore but the have a hot tub. Breakfast is good with a large variety of items to choose.

I must say I have stayed at this hotel before the improvement from then to now was very sugnificant. I like the new improvements. The rooms and hotel just seem more comfortable and welcoming. Alround experience was very good.

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Beds were decently firm, but not concrete. Very well appointed and friendly staff. Their breakfast is truly remarkable for a hotel breakfast, with a waffle bar like none other that I've seen. You won't be left hungry from their selection. Although the hotel was busy, the rooms were quiet and the sleeping was excellent. Toilets were a bit on the small side for a big guy like me, but that's the only quibble I had.

We have stayed here a couple of years ago, and decided to stay here again. The desk clerks were very friendly and helpful in giving us info on where to eat. We never felt more at home with this stay. We will definitely stay here again. Breakfast wasn't the best, but we made due. Hope it will get better by the next time we stay here. Room was clean and had everything that we needed.

I booked a block of rooms for our group but we ended up scattered all over the hotel. The location is great and the rooms are clean. The breakfast was subpar. The eggs were cold and the bakery was dry. Check in was a little bit challenging. They said they just got a new computer system and they were not familiar with it. Better training might have helped.

Great value wonderful pool full breakfast great service and there's a track one mile down the road. There's quite a few restaurant that are walkable and the running is great along the shipyards. Also a CVS pharmacy across the street for loading up on snacks.

The staff were great, rooms were comfy, and breakfast was fresh, hot and had a great variety. The pool area was a little to strong on the chemicals so it was hard to enjoy it but we did hang out in there for a little bit.

This hotel exceeded our expectations for the price. The hotel room had the heat turned up when we entered, which was so appreciated, as we had just spent the day outside in 20 degree weather. The pool room was also kept warm. Thank you. Breakfast had a large variety of choices and the food was excellent.

We stayed here on two different occasions as we were moving from Illinois to Wisconsin. Sturgeon Bay was convenient for us. The check in staff was cordial, the room was average and the breakfast was the usual fare. We stayed in April, 2018 and again in July, 2018

We work at a school in Milwaukee that was closed for a week because of the snow and were looking for a nice place to get away without spending alot of money. Hot tub and pool were very enjoyable as it was -20+ outside.

Front desk and breakfast was great But the issues were with housekeeping. Head housekeeper was rude and annoying. She smelled very strong of cigarettes and cat piss. Made my room stink. Fire this lady. I expect my room to be up to the best western standard and this one wasn't.

Great Stay close to shopping and great dining. BW staff is always very friendly and accommodating. This is a hotel that we have stayed at many times and will continue to stay at in the future. Breakfast is simple but has a good variety for picky eaters. Pool and hot tub are always very enjoyable for the kids.

The lobby was super cute and the pool and hot tub were great. Now for the unfortunetly bad. The breakfast was not good. The eggs were rubbery there was no sausage or bacon. Barely any selection at all. I asked for a late check out and was told they didnt know and had to ask housekeeping (which I have never heard.) The answer when called back was an abrupt "she said yes but you need to be out by 12". The staff was rude except for one woman. Wont be coming back to this bw.

We checked in on New Year's Eve. The front desk gentleman was very friendly. His coworker, a grey haired woman, was extremely rude. Friends of ours checked in after us and made the exact same comment. Unfriendly behavior, and the fact that there is no elevator yet in the hotel, made me give this a three star. The price is great for Sturgeon Bay.

At less than 1/2 the price of Green Bay hotels/motels, the Maritime Inn is a nice option for those staying in the area for a Packers game, and it's only 45 minutes northeast in beautiful Door County. Great free hot breakfast (waffles, eggs, sausage & more), good beds, small but adequate pool, and great prices. My only complaint was that the pull-out hide-a-bed in the suite couch would not pull out easily. It took 15 minutes to finally figure out the metal frame was slightly bent and was getting hung up on the wood couch frame.

The hotel was exactly what we needed for our weekend getaway in Door County. Easily accessible from the highway, close to a CVS, Walmart and several fast food restaurants. The bread buffet changes every day and has many options, cold and hot. There's a waffle maker, bagels, hard boiled eggs, toast, cereal, coffee, juice, oatmeal, and most of the days there was sausage links or an omelet available. Gluten free options available upon request.

Location was good near to basic needs. Property was excellent clean and neat. Room were spacious with required ammenties. Breakfast was pretty good and filling. 24 hrs coffee and tea available in lobby was very good one of the amenities. Staff was very welcoming and cheerful.

We are a family of six. Our purpose for going was to let the kids burn off some energy swimming during the winter month. We got one of the two larger rooms. The space the room had was appreciated. I was certain the room was going to be a typical hotel room... Which would have been tight. The full breakage was a pleasant surprise too. It was well done and very clean. Thee pool and hot tub were v Clean and not over chlorinated. Water Temps were perfect. My only complaint about the pool room was the lack of lounge chairs. Sometimes a parent doesn't want to swim and siging in a chair for an hour in a half can get uncomfortable. Some lounge chairs would have been nice. The staff was friendly and got us what we needed. The place had construction going on outside while we were there, but it didn't interfere with our stay. We didn't even hear them. My only complaint that upset read the lack of hot water in the shower. I'm sure it's a means of controlling "scolding" water. I've stayed in places that do that. But this was a little rediculous. This was closer to warm than hot. I need a nice hot shower at the end of the day to relax. That's not possible here.

The young lady at the front desk was very personable and friendly when we checked in. When we were ready to check out I put a dollar in the Pepsi machine for a bottle of water. It didn't come out, the young man at the desk got me a bottle of water from the machine. P.S. Good news they are putting in a elevator!

Comfortable room, but bathroom a bit dated. Breakfast was reasonable although the hot food was a bit plastic. The service was OK. The communal areas were not very comfortable. The hotel would have been considerably improved by having a bar.

We stayed here the weekend of Thanksgiving and it was enjoyable. We were near the breakfast room and close to an exit for convenience. Breakfast had a hot item that changed daily, as well as the usual items. Rooms were clean and quiet.

Our room was fine - a little older and shabby but well maintained and had six floors with two elevators. The bed was comfortable enough and the AC did the job. There is no lobby coffee. There is a busy restaurant (live music on Friday night) connected to the hotel and breakfast is served here. They had the weakest coffee ever and they only seemed to have three sugar packages in the entire restaurant. The orange juice was very good though.

Conveniently located, hotel is clean, helpful staff, great beds, great internet service. Miss the eggs at breakfast though! Nice pool area though we didn't use it. Overall a very fair value. Will visit there again!

Very nice hotel. Really great if you are traveling with a dog. We were on the first floor at the exit. No stairs for our older dog. Nice pool and hearty breakfast with variety each day. Taylor at the front desk was very sweet and accommodating. Autumn from the cleaning staff was also very nice. This hotel was what I expect from Best Western.

Very good breakfast! Friendly Staff! Big enough room. Young adults drinking and making loud noises in pool area, making it unpleasant to swim or go in hot tub. Bathroom facilities could be better. Toilets should be higher!

The Best Western Maritime Inn in Sturgeon Bay is always our choice because it is reasonably priced and staying there is always pleasant. The desk clerks are friendly and helpful. The lobby is spacious with a comfortable couch and matching chairs. A big fireplace and huge wall mounted TV add to hanging out to watch ball games. They have a machine that offers coffee and hot water 24/7 and I enjoy the cocoa mix. Breakfast is varied and tasty and the dining room is very large and overlooks the large indoor pool. Its location is only 45 minutes north of Green Bay and it serves as a gateway to sightsee all over the scenic Door County peninsula.

In Door County...the hotel doesn't need to be fabulous. For us, it needs to be clean, reliable, convenient, and friendly - this Best Western is. I forgot my earrings on the bathroom counter - we weren't on the highway yet and got a phone call. So sweet and accommodating.

Disabled will have a hard time. NO elevator. NO grab bars. Limited grab bars in the disabled room However hotel was clean and fairly well equipped. So without the disability I would give it a 3 because Of no elevator. Really hard to get the bags up those stairs.

I recently stayed at the Best Western maritime Hotel in Sturgeon Bay. Rooms were clean, staff was very friendly, I enjoyed the use of the pool in the whirlpool, and the breakfast each morning was very good with lots of choices. The couple of times when you needed help with something the staff was very quick to respond and very helpful.

Four of us stayed in their huge corner room with 2 double rooms and a very comfortable sleeper sofa bed. The room was very large with a microwave, frig, and table with four chairs. It was very roomy, and the A-C was very quiet worked very well.

Checkin was a breeze. Staff very nice and helpful. We had a nice size room with 2 queen beds and a pullout sofa. Microwave and refrigerator as well as a table with 4 chairs. Breakfast was a nice hot breakfast with good variety. Breakfast are was clean and kept stocked. This is my second stay here and would definitely go back

Rooms were clean, perhaps a little dated. Fitness center and pool were much appreciated after several days on the road. Breakfast, for a hotel breakfast, is better than most. We did not have difficulty getting a table as others describe, and did not see signs saying not to take food from the buffet, however a respectful traveler should know that and not need a sign.

We were very happy with our brief stay here. Clean, comfortable, working AC, excellent breakfast (eggs, hams, waffles, yogurt, etc), hot tub and simple pool. Staff was great. All card locks worked. Lobby was complete with fireplace and coffee.

My wife and I and the group we travel with when we visit Door County have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and have had rooms with a musty smell a couple times before but our most recent visit was by far the worst and probably our last. We were given room #150 on the first floor right behind the check in desk and noticed a damp musty odor as soon as we entered the room and found that even the mattress felt damp while lying on the bed. I told the manager about it and he thought it was possibly caused by the room air conditioner and said it might help if we shut it off and leave the windows open for awhile. Since there were no other rooms available as the hotel was full we tried that and also used some air freshener in the room and after several hours the odor was at least tolerable. The real problem we had with this hotel was found the next morning when we awoke and noticed some kind of black lint type specs all over the bottom on one side of the bed sheets like lint you might get from sleeping with socks on however my wife or myself didnt sleep with socks on or anything else that color that could explain what caused it so clearly it was some type of debris left behind from the previous guests which obviously means the bed sheets were never washed before we were given this room and I find that totally unacceptable for any hotel ! ! I contacted the hotel manager and he couldn't identify what this stuff was but apologized and promised to take care of it right away and had all the bedding replaced so at least the bed was clean and dry for the 2nd night of our stay. Even though the problem was taken care of right away it should have never happened in the first place and this incident has left my wife and I and the entire group of friends we travel with very uneasy about ever staying at this hotel again. The musty smell in the room was bad enough but being given a room with dirty bed sheets took an already uncomfortable experience to an entirely new level and is also against the law in Wisconsin. After all this the hotel offered only a 20% discount for one of the two nights we stayed and in a follow up email the hotel manager told me in an exact word for word, probably copied and pasted apology response they give to everyone that complains that they were sorry for not exceeding my expectations and that my comments would help them to better serve their guests in the future. Seriously your guests in the future, what ever happened to taking care of the guests you have right now so you actually have guests in the future ?? I informed Best Western Corp. of this problem and they didnt seem overly concerned or maybe they are just used to these type of complaints about this hotel as their response to me was they will let the hotel know that I had a bad experience, seriously thats it?

Disappointed ! Best Western normally good chain. Paid $188 too much. Room was musty damp smelling, carpet had that sticky wet feeling. The AC smelled when it kicked on, mold in the shower grout. Breakfast was ok

We definitely thought the hotel was in a good spot to still enjoy all of Door County. We were in a room right across from The ice machine and unfortunately both nights people got ice between 3-5 am which woke us up. Breakfast was nice but tables filled fast and they post signs saying don't take food to go. Staff was friendly.

Lots of noise from nearby ice machine and jacuzzi in next room (after midnight) made it very difficult to sleep. Jacuzzi in room not large enough for two average sized people. Hot breakfast was luke-warm at best. This is absulutely NOT a hotel worth $182 per night.

We stay at this Hotel at least twice per year. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is located in a great location, close to restaurants and shopping. The breakfast is very good. They have remodeled some of the rooms and they are very nice.

We stayed here at the end of July 2018 as a night's stay on our motorcycle trip around Lake Michigan. This hotel is great. The location is perfect. The front desk staff was amazing. Everyone was helpful and friendly. There's always great coffee in the lobby. The pool and hot tub were really nice. We will definitely be back!

There was no elevator so handicapped people should request a first floor room when booking. The continental breakfast was very good with different items offered each day. There was only one ice machine I could find and it was located in the day room the breakfast is served in. The staff were very friendly. We tried to watch the local news but the cable feed was terrible and the stations kept cutting in and out. There is room for a nice big screen TV in the room but ours was very small, probably no more than 24 inches. Lots of traffic on the adjacent roadway and we found the noise to be distracting when trying to sleep.

There was no elevator for this hotel and it is badly in need of an update. Air conditioner really did not work well. Room is fairly large and staff tried to be helpful. Stay closer to town center if possible.

Would stay here again. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Yammi breakfast included waffles, omlet, bagels, fruits, cereal coffee. We used pool and hot tub. Well maintained! Friendly and accommodating stuff. Overall great stay!!

We found this to be a very nice Best Western, probably one of the better ones that we have stayed at for this price. The front desk staff in the afternoon and early evening were super friendly and helpful. The only bad things I have to say is not replacing the towels by the Jacuzzi in our room on the second day, and no elevator. Good location for seeing the sites in Door County.

My friend and I stayed at the Maritime Inn while on vacation in Door County. The location is very good for touring Door County - just off of State Highway 42 and close to State Highway 57. Downtown Sturgeon Bay is also a short drive away. The hotel itself is very nicely appointed, with a pleasant lobby and a nice breakfast area with a good selection of breakfast food. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. I especially appreciated the small refrigerator in the room, which was useful for keeping soda pop, snacks, and leftovers cold. If I were to find fault with anything, it would be the full length mirror mounted on the INSIDE of the bathroom door, directly in front of the toilet! It made quite off-putting to "do one's business"!

I thought this was a great hotel for the moola. Free, big breakfast, close to wineries, free coffee 24/7, clean beds, clean bathrooms, great staff, plenty of towels, good parking, fridge, microwave. I didn't swim, but it looked like a nice pool. Accessible. I would definitely stay again!

Stayed here for two nights while visiting family. Very, very quiet hotel - even though we were on the front of the hotel. Staff was fairly friendly. We had breakfast both mornings in the breakfast area - it was good with decent variety, but could have certainly been a little cleaner. TVs in the breakfast area either need to be fixed or turned off - every 15 seconds or so, there would either go dark or mute. Probably the best place to stay in the area.

Close to shopping, good breakfast, clean facilities, decent value, friendly and helpful staff. Nice size meeting/breakfast room. Excellent business center and adequate/safe parking. Would definitely stay here again as a reasonably priced home base to start out various trips farther up into Door County. This time of year prices in the county skyrocket but this BW had reasonable rates.

First, everyone in Door County, Wisconsin is extremely friendly, warm and accommodating...except for the workers at this Best Western. The front desk staff never smile, never say "thank you," and do not ask if your stay is good. On the first day, the breakfast bar was not stocked and the coffee machine was broken. Each morning (we stayed 3 nights), my back was in severe pain because the bed was terrible. Finally, and most importantly, the day before we left we went to the front desk. I said, "I have two quick questions: what time is check-out tomorrow?" The desk person said "11 o'clock." I then asked,"since we will probably want to sleep in tomorrow morning, can you please leave a "do not disturb" sign inside our room because we were never given one?" She said, "no problem." Later that afternoon, we returned to the hotel only to find that the "do not disturb" sign was placed ON OUR DOOR (not in our room, like I asked), and therefore it was no surprise that housecleaning had not cleaned our room. I went down to the front desk. The lady said that housecleaning had gone home and that the next clerk would be in at 5 o'clock and she could have the room cleaned for us. I said, "okay, we will be at the pool, so she can clean our room as soon as she arrives to work, okay?" She said, "yes." Then, we returned from the pool at 5:30 pm and the room was still not cleaned. I went back to the front desk. The only person at the hotel who was friendly was the new clerk, named Amy. She said she couldn't clean our room because she was the only person working and couldn't leave the front desk, but should could make sure that we had clean towels, at least. She said we should talk with the manager in the morning before we check out and that they would do something for us with our bill. I said that was fine. The next morning, I went to check out at 10:30 am and the female manager who I was told would be there had already left! The desk clerk on duty was the same grumpy woman who made the mistake to begin with. She scowled at me when I said I wanted to speak to a manager. She said the manager had already left. I asked, "is there no one else here?" She said "the other manager is in his office with the door shut, and I'm not suppose to disturb him when the door is shut. The next manager will be in at 3 pm, and I'll have her call you." I said, "No, I want to take care of this now." She grumbled and sighed and went to the office, knocked on the door, and entered; then she shut the door behind her. The two of them talked for about 2 minutes. She then came back and said, "we can give you 15% off the bill for the issue." I said, "that's it?" She responded, "yeah." I couldn't believe it. 15% was less than half of just one night's stay! Plus, I didn't know what was more insulting -- the 15% reduction in price, or that the male manager didn't think enough of his clientele to come out and talk to me!!! I thought about making a deal out of it, but I figured they wouldn't do anything else. So I just said "fine." She handed me my receipt, and that was it. She didn't say "I hope you had a good stay" or "good bye" or "safe travels" or anything!!! It was infuriating. I will NEVER stay at this BW again, nor will I recommend it to anyone. And, I'm a BW awards member! By the way -- although I was told I would receive a 15% reduction for my overall stay, in the end, they only took off 15% of ONE NIGHT!

We. stayed here while we were touring Door County and were well satisfied. The room was clean and quiet, and the king-sized bed was extemely comfortable. We were also pleased with the well-stocked breakfast bar. Well worth the money

Every time I'm in the area on business I stay here, good value for the price. I would recommend it, good for business and pleasure. Staff is very friendly and helpful, one of the staff really stands out her name is Bobbie (front counter) very professional and courteous.

We came for a funeral and the next day the funeral was cancelled due to big snow storm overnight. Helpful people at the desk in the morning in case we needed to keep our room and couldn't get out. Pool was good.

Enjoyed our stay. The location was nicely centralized to what we were doing. I did find the room temp hard to regulate either it was cool or warm and stuffy. and there wasn't much for blankets on the bed so it was a bit chilly at night.

We stayed here in March and would definitely tell anyone to stay here. Very friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms, great pool, amazing breakfast! Great location, and great rates. We will be staying here if we are in the area again.

Every visit to Door County, we stay at the Best Western Maritime Inn in Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin. The rates are quite reasonable, the rooms are clean, all the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the free breakfast that is included is very good. We have stayed here three times in the past year. In November of 2017 we had a free upgrade to a room with a whirlpooll tub in it. It was very nice.

Due to family funerals in the past year, we have stayed at the Maritime 3 times. This is a close to town and highways to get to other places in Door County. The breakfast is very good and plentiful. The staff is helpful and very friendly. Will be staying again in the future.

This is one of my favorite hotels in Sturgeon Bay. Great location, across the street from CVS, Walmart, Dumhams, Shoe Sensation. They offer a 10% discount to the Nightingale, an awesome sit down restaurant. The staff was super friendly. Definitly would recommend to anyone looking to have a relaxing trip with necessities close by.

Stayed here for New Years Eve. Hot tub was out of order, but they kept breakfast open an extra hour in New Years Day. Breakfast included make your own waffle, sausage biscuits, gravy, pasties, juice coffee and more. If you have a dog ask for a rooom down by the CVS. There is an exterior door with access to a dumpster for poo bags;-) We were able to socialize in the breakfast room and enjoy cocktails in the evening. One warning—If you call to book, get a name and ASK for the full cost. We got nailed with an extra $15 pet fee even though we told the person on the phone we had dogs. They also Did not mention the price quoted did not include a bunch of taxes.

Booked a room for the 2 of us and the room with 2 beds was the same price and without a doubt had to be the largest hotel room we have ever stayed in. The could easily split this room in half and make 2 rooms out of it. FANTASTIC!! Hot tub was also nice, didn't get up in time for the breakfast.

Friendly staff, clean room, decently comfy beds. Nice warm hot tub and pool area. And pet friendly, which is amazing! We didn't try the breakfast, but it looked good. Would definitely recommend and stay again when up in that area.

I hadn't stayed here in several years, but that will now change. Remodeled, modernized, clean and safe. Best breakfast in town. Great rate. Friendly staff. Best location. Didn't use the pool or hot tub, but the area was clean, and a huge stack of towels were close by. DirecTV was acting up in the morning, but I was leaving then anyway. Definately an A+

Whenever we go to Door County we love to stay at this Best Western in Sturgeon Bay. It's comfortable it's a good value, there breakfast, which is complementary is very good. The staff is friendly and it's convenient to go wherever we want to go in Door County.

Friendly staff-free bountiful breakfast buffet with many options-lovely decorated fireplace with a real crackling fire-swimming pool and hot tub to relax in and watch the snow falling outside-comfortable beds and clean rooms- internet and cable tv with good reception and all this in the heart of door county.

Front staff extremely friendly and accommodating. They make you feel at home. This property is extremely clean with very comfortable beds. Breakfast has a very good variety including toast, bagels, french toast, waffles, yogurt, eggs, cereal, juice, etc.

The staff was helpful and courteous, the room was very clean, the location was convenient and the breakfast was delicious. We also appreciated that the hotel was pet friendly. The guide in the room was helpful and we were able to have our questions answered quickly and easily.

This is a very nice, friendly, well located hotel. Convenient to shopping and Door County travelers. The rooms are neat and clean and nicely furnished. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and attentive to your questions and needs. The breakfast buffet included in the cost of your room has many choices and the food is good! I have stayed here 3 times and I will return again.

The staff was very friendly and gave us ideas for places to go for dinner. For the most part, the room was clean. Bedding was clean. The microwave, refrigerator and bed headboard looked like they hadn't been dusted in quite a while. The vents on the air conditioner also needed to be cleaned. The vents looked like there was mold growing on them. The location is good and they offered a very nice breakfast.

I chose this hotel because of its rating on TripAdvisor. The overall experience was good. Staff was great and helpful. The property could use some updating. I found the breakfast to be very good and better than most hotels in this price range.

This is a very well kept hotel. Beds were comfortable and plenty of linens. Very good breakfast selection. Location is good for the shopping areas and access to major highways. Would recommend for families as it has a large pool and area.

Extremely clean hotel, perhaps not enough later evening desk staff though as the poor girl was running all over the hotel accommodating guests- kudos to her for doing with a smile on her face-even when 3 groups were waiting at the desk for check in. The process for all 3 groups took approx 5 minutes, so super quick! Pool area was nice, hot tub needs a good cleaning though. Did not care to stay in when there was “stuff” found floating in the bubbles. Best part- the beds! So comfy, laid down and was out in minutes- just like at home. I will be back next trip.

Normally I've been happy with BW. This time not. Too many unkowns that made this stay troublesome. Booked on what I thought was BW, but found out later that it was thru a different travel agency. Was given a room on second floor which was not good for my wife. Received a lower room with 2 queen beds in stead of the king, but was charged for the king room.

This was a very affordable and clean hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly. We stayed in Sturgeon Bay for a much better rate as we booked so late and there are still a lot of visitors in Door County at this time of year.

Was at "Best Western Maritime Inn" for the 1st time Thur. October 5th, (near Sturgeon Bay) When checking in the desk clerk was very busy with checking everybody in, (her name is "Amy") she was so nice and pleasant!! she suggested a place and coupon for supper club in area (which was a wonderful place to eat, name of supper club is "Nitengales" 2 minutes from hotel and food was great) she was so accommodating. The other employees I had talked to were so very nice also. The complimentary breakfast was very good, with many options of breakfast food and very clean area to eat. I will definitely be going there again.

King/accessible room on ground floor with shower bench provided. Very good service and decent breakfast. Nice location near Sturgeon Bay and convenient to Door County and Scandinavian fishing village culture of traditional fish fries held in August.

A very nice hotel, clean, nice rooms and a very nice complimentary breakfast. Pool and hot tub looked nice even though we did get a chance to use it. Lots of secure parking. The hotel is located in an area that makes it easy to get to many places in town w/o traveling far.

Needed a place to stay for an overnight to Door County. Didn't want to pay hundreds for a quaint place and found this Best Western. It is just north of the Bay, great location to see the county, just a couple of minutes from the intersection of 42 and 57. Checked in and was told that they do a Status Match, so called, got matched told the front desk and they provided me with their amenity bag of snacks, fruit and beverage. Their Continental breakfast was much more than that, as it had eggs/omelet and waffles along with cereals, breads drinks, etc.. Spacious room, next to the indoor pool and hot tub area. Plenty of parking and clean environment.

I'm starting to stay more and more at Best Western because of the price for quality. They almost always have a hot breakfast and decent pools and jacuzzis that we can relax in at night. This one is close!

Average hotel a little over priced for value received, the breakfast was poor quality and disappointing but free, no movie channel offered in guest rooms, staff was helpful, hotel is clean, location is easy to get to

First thing that was noticed was how clean the hotel smelled. The room smelt wonderful too. Rooms are spaciaous. The pool and hot tub are awesome! The continential breakfast was like a cafeteria with so many options!!! Definately worth the price.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western. We have had experiences in the past with Best Western that weren't as good but the hotel was very nice. It was centrally located for the road trips we wanted to take.

This hotel is in a good location and we had a spacious room for our two night stay. Even though I made the reservations 5 months in advance we were put in the annex building on the second floor which does not have an elevator. We are both in our seventies. I don't understand this, however, the check in itself was fine and the clerk offered to help with the luggage. There was no desk in our room and only a single light between the beds. The sink is outside the bathroom which I like very much. The towels were thin. Breakfast was very good! The waffles were wonderful and the syrups and jams were good too. I'm not sure why hotels think white gravy is a desired item in the morning. When we got back from our day trip on Door Peninsula the beds were not finished. The small coverlets at the bottom of the beds were on the floor and the pillows were askew. The pool is quite nice there and very clean. We were able to swim for 20 minutes without interruptions. This hotel is on the edge of a neighborhood and was very quiet and we felt very safe.

Very un-clean hot tub.....it was GROSS. Overall hotel rooms and outside was "okay" but cleanliness could have been better. The hot tub was unacceptable tho.....brown scum build up which started foaming over where we ended up scrambling to get out!

A group of 6 motorcycle riders coming in off a wet day of travel and were greeted with warm smiles and excellent customer service. It was nice to have a warm breakfast in the morning before hitting the road again. The would definitely recommend this hotel, comfy beds, Awesome staff and good warm breakfast. Great quality for the money!

This hotel must experience settling all the time because we couldn't really open and close our door without putting in a lot of "shoulder" into it, and our bathroom door never did close. We stayed here two nights and it was pretty crummy. The beds were hard, there was only one light bulb in the room that worked, so reading or work was out of the question. Only one light bulb in the bathroom vanity worked and the vanity was out in the bedroom. The place was totally booked with tours, etc. so the maintenance guys were running hard. But the breakfast was great! Each day they added something new--cheese was provided for their omelets, waffles were great with different syrups and heavenly homemade preserves and jams and various toppings. They offered different breads, including muffins and homemade bagels plus a great variety of cereals. Unusually creative and delicious. The pool also was clean and surrounded by windows, enabling you to see outside. Quite pleasant. I just wish our room was better appointed. A real disappointment.

We had a large room with two queen sized which were very comfortable. There were plenty of clean, white, fuffy towels and toiletries to use. Also a heating swimming pool on site to enjoy and a key part of why we booked this hotel. Excellent breakfast included next morning.

It was a very nice trip. The hotel was clean and breakfast was good. The check in staff at the hotel was very pleasant and helpful when needed. The check out staff was also very helpful and provided all the needed paperwork.

The hotel is not centrally located, but it is near shopping malls. We like walking and it took almost an hour to walk to the middle of the town, but it's only 5 minutes by car. The breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Very nice place! Front desk was helpful and friendly and recommended a couple local restaurants, as this was our first time in Door County. Pool is good size and hot tub is relaxing. Updated rooms are clean and nice. The deluxe breakfast has many choices. Would stay here again.

The updates are wonderful. Great bed, the room is very clean .The staff is friendly and very helpful. We had a problem with a noisy air conditioner and within hours it was replaced by a brand new one. The pool and hot tub are clean and well maintained. I usually do not like to be on the first floor of a motel, but felt perfectly safe in this motel. Staff were visible every time I went out to the lobby. I will come back with pleasure!

This was a last minute trip for our anniversary we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the hotel and door County. The staff was very friendly and helpful our room was clean and updated the pool room was wonderful

That will be my last stay at a Best Western. The bed and pillows were damp and the drains didn't drain in the tub or sink. It is very gross to shower in 3-4 inches of water. I complained to the front desk, was told that they would let the manager know. I was never contacted by the manager. Find another hotel.

People at the front desk were helpful. The room was clean and restful. It was close to the attractions in Door County. Best Western breakfasts are always a good start for the day. It was easy to check in and check out.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Maritime Inn, and have stayed there before mainly because they allow dogs, the kids like the pool and breakfast, and the proximity to family. However, I feel it is overpriced for the general quality of the hotel. They remodeled recently, but did a sloppy job. Our shower curtain rod looked like it was going to fall off the wall, and the caulk lines aren't straight and are sloppy. The heating and cooling unit was extremely loud and kept waking us up, but if we didn't have it on it was very humid in the room because we were close to the pool. There was something kind of sticky in one spot on the floor, and my bare feet kept managing to find that one spot! I feel that if they want to charge $130 per weeknight, the general quality needs to be better. Possibly they are trying to charge more because it's Door County, but they're in Sturgeon Bay, not Sister Bay or Fish Creek where the true tourist attractions are.

Beds were comfy, staff was overall very pleasant. We stayed during the week and wished that breakfast would be available until 10am like weekends. Pool was chilly so we couldn't stay in long. Overall it was a great hotel to stay in. Would visit again.

Went to Door County for a short trip. This location was right in the middle and had easy access to everything. CVS right across the street, with Walmart, McDonalds and many other businesses close by. Quiet and family friendly. Allows pets, so if you are sensitive to them, be warned.

Hotel is in a real convenient location and staff is great. We enjoyed our stay. Everyone went out of the normal to help us with anything we wanted. They even got us popcorn. Would recommend it to anyone staying in Sturgeon Bay.

First would like to say that the front desk associate Beth went above and beyond in friendliness and hospitality. However, several groups of people arrived a little early to check in prior to weddings in the area. When early check in was requested, we were told no rooms available until posted check in time of 3:30pm. As a frequent traveler, I've seen most hotels release their rooms as the are turned over by housekeeping but I've not often seen the inflexibility of the housekeeping manager at the Best Westwern in Sturgeon Bay. It put the front desk associate in the unenviable position to continue to relay that rooms were not yet available to the waiting guests. As we were checking out the next morning we saw several housekeeping carts cleaning rooms and it is difficult for this seasoned traveler to understand how it can take 4 plus hours to turn over rooms. Please, Best Western Sturgeon Bay, look into your early check in and housekeeping practices.

Only suggestion would be to get New mattresses as noticed they looked like they were at least 10 years old and were very uncomfortable as they were saggy in spots and very firm, my husband has back issues and could hardly walk after getting up in the morning and I had a sore hip for the entire time I was there but fine when I got home. I feel a goidn nights sleep important while traveling as you are out of your normal routine and it's stressful enough when in a strange environment so sleep is essential. Would have left the motel but they would t refund any money so we had no choice but to stay as we are retired and on a fixed income. However we did get some extra points so we could come back and enjoy another backaching experience:(

This is a very nice and clean hotel. The maids "honored" our request to "do not disturb" and never knocked on the door early in the a.m. (like many do!). The breakfast was outstanding...the staff kept all well stocked (even at 9:55---5 minutes before closing). For the price of the hotel, I would expect close to top notch service, etc. However, the television service (satellite) was terrible. Service intermittently every 5 minutes. It's a good thing we don't watch much TV, but sure would've been nice to watch the news (weather) in its entirety. Also, as far as we could see, we could not get the Brewers channel. For the price we paid to stay, I would think that should be an emenity. And, the gal at the front desk was of no assistance when we asked.

The staff here we very friendly. Rooms are nice and clean. Free breakfast was excellent with a great variety. Pool and hot tube was awesome. The location was perfect. Make sure you book in advanced because rooms go quick.

Location is not ideal for Sturgeon Bay site-seeing. LOTS of walking. Neighborhood is a little scary. Rooms look clean but soaks were getting dark from walking about the carpet in the room. Lost hot water one morning, then lost cable tv & wifi during rain storm.

Convenient stay at entry to Door County. Fabulous breakfast, Comfy pillows, clean.Felt at home because I knew any needs will be met. The desk clerk was delightfully friendly and helpful. She showed us the way to Stone Harbor which was a lovely walk along the bay.

BW Maritime Inn had everything we needed for our one night stay in Sturgeon Bay. Front dest staff was very helpful and friendly. Kids loved the pool. The breakfast was wonderful, but they should extend the time to go until 10:00AM. Rooms were clean and fairly updated. Loved the pump shampoo and soap!!! Close to grocery and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We are senior citizens and were assigned a room on the second floor a good distance from the main lobby. There is no elevator in this hotel, and we found it difficult lugging our suitcases up and down stairs. There were certain stairs we could use to access our room, and the first time we went up the wrong stairs and had to go back down with our suitcases. We felt the room was overpriced for the age of this hotel.

This best western is very motorcycle friendly, as I was able to park mu Harley under the awning as long as cars could get through. They were very accomodating. Upon arriving we were offered 2 bottles of water which after traveling 200 miles that really meant a lot to us.

The hospital is clean in appearance and it includes a good breakfast buffet. The room being very damp and wifi was too slow to watch a movie without problems. The room being damp made for an odd smell in our room. The main breakfast on Th am was biscuits and gravy-which isn't something most people eat. The shower head was not connected well and it sprayed water all over the bathroom. Z

We were very satisfied with the room and breakfast at this hotel. The only drawback was we were visiting Door County and this hotel is in Sturgeon Bay which is not very centralized when visiting that particular area. We left the hotel early and found another closer to the area we were interested in exploring. However this is a great hotel if you are in the Sturgeon Bay Area!

Wet carpet and moldy smell in the room. The front desk was excellent, as were the pool and hot tub facility. The gal at the front desk helped map out the sights to see for us, we really appreciated the help. Very affordable pricing. Location was a bit of a drive from Fish Creek and Sister Bay.

My wife and I highly recommend this hotel... great people work here that really made our visit exceptional. The rooms were great, the breakfast was fantastic and the staff really made us feel at home. We will be back here again for sure!!

We booked a last minute trip to Door County and had zero luck booking a hotel closer to the attractions / small towns of Door County but found a night at the Best Western in Sturgeon Bay so we took it. Though it's a little bit of a drive back at the end of the day it's still not too bad. We were pleasantly surprised by our stay. Desk staff was very friendly when checking in and we even learned they had a complimentary breakfast we were not aware of (and unfortunately not able to take advantage of. Had a double queen room that was large and clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Some things they could improve... quality of room coffee (switch to a Kurig like other properties would solve this), the new flat screen tv was quite small compared to the size of our room, the bed linens were thin and scratchy with no fan option for the a/c simply cooling that switched on and off loudly through the night. Bottomline, we would stay here again in the right situation.

At a little over 100 per night, with included breakfast daily and a clean pool and hot tub, this was a great value for the area. Easy driving to the attractions of door county but at a fraction of the price to stay!

We arrived in Sturgeon Bay very early in the day after driving all night. The hotel staff was very accommodating to allow us to check in early afternoon. Travelling with 2 small dogs, the hotel was pet friendly with a nice grassy area behind the hotel. The building is older. Lobby is very nice. Our room and bathroom were clean. Beds very comfortable. We would stay at this location again.

Our group had reserved 20+ rooms for a weekend stay. We arrived around 3pm on a Friday afternoon. The hotel knew in advance that we were enroute, yet they only had one person working the desk to check people in. The line to check in went out the front door of the hotel. Personally, I waited over 20 minutes to check in. Once checked in, the rest of the weekend went smooth with the hotel. The room was clean as were the common areas. The hot tub's ph needed attention, as there was quite a bit of foam on the water. The breakfast area was clean and better than a lot of hotels that I have stayed in recently. The food selection was adequate. The same room was also available in the evening for socializing, which came in handy during a thunderstorm.

Bath water started out with a gush of brown, rusty water. Inside handle of bathroom door fell off at first use, was not fixed during our stay. Foreign matter floated on surface of hot tub by pool. Breakfast was good, but not exceptional. Parking area when we arrived back at 11:00 p.m. was full, so we squeezed into an unmarked area.

The hotel was clean. Room comfortable and quiet. Staff efficient and friendly. Breakfast bar had a good variety of food to offer everyone. The breakfast room seating was comfortably arranged and spacious.

For travelers vacationing in Door County and interested in predictable, chain style lodging, Sturgeon Bay is the only community that offers some limited options in this category. Once you head north of SB, lodging is limited to independent, and often dated, old style motels, resorts, B&B's or the rental of private residences. I would encourage the latter category for select, higher quality locations for an extended stay, if your budget permits this. For short stay, however, a day or two in Sturgeon Bay is doable as well. Of the four primary chain motels in SB, online reviews generally rank the chain options as follows: 1) Best Western, 2) AmericInn, 3) Super 8 and 4) Quality Inn. As such, we opted for the BW for a one night stay. I found the property to be clean and recently updated. My stay was generally satisfactory. Both the guest rooms and the common area décor and furnishings were newer. The staff members I encountered were courteous, obliging and polite. I requested a room on the second floor with a quiet, non-parking lot/no street traffic exposure and had no trouble obtaining it. The complimentary breakfast was acceptable and well maintained. My only minor issue related to a spotty Wi-Fi system that didn't work well during my stay. Also, there are no elevators here, so those who don't want to navigate stairs should request the ground floor. The pool looked nice, although I didn't make use of it. Door County lodging is pricey no matter where you end up and availability during peak times is often difficult. Paying $115+ for a 2* BW is still not a cheap option by any means, but it's a reasonable choice, nonetheless. While one can certainly make the hour long journey day trip from Green Bay to the center of Door County and opt to stay in Green Bay, it's not convenient for a multi-night experience.

The hotel was very clean and had a great staff but for the price did not offer all that we were looking for. breakfast was good but lacked options. and the the setting was on a busy street so had no grounds. The only real complaint was he pool and hot tub which were disgusting. I swim in the Mississippi river and this hot tub grossed me out. nd the pool was not much better

From check in to check out, our experience was excellent. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great and the rooms were spacious and clean. We will met defiantly be staying at this hotel again. Highly recommended.

My wife forgot her wallet and important medications at the Inn and the housekeeper, Anna promptly turned those in. Front Desk staff went out of their way to get those items overnighted to our home. Also, the Front Desk staff gave us excellent restaurant recommendations and we were able to enjoy a Door County "Fish Boil." We had a wonderful time and will be back!

We had a good experience staying here for a couple of nights. The room had all the expected amenities, including fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and modern HVAC unit. Always a plus for us, the sink was outside of the bathroom. The room was clean and we were given a quiet location as requested. Staff was very helpful. As for location - we were not eager to stay right in downtown Sturgeon Bay because of the additional busyness (and cost). This location suited us just fine - about a mile out from downtown, and near other shopping like Wal Mart. Breakfast, which starts early (6 a.m.), was good, and included hot items as well as a variety of cereals, oatmeal, fruit, muffins, etc.

we stayed here for only 1 night on our circle lake Michigan tour. The hotel is about midway down the Door County peninsula. There was a mirror on the inside door of the bathroom, facing the toilet...a bit disturbing. The shower head was too high for short folks to reach and the shower curtain was a bit too short. The breakfast was included but was only fair, sausage and eggs, neither of which was perfectly done.

Clean, comfortable, pleasant staff! Great breakfast again pleasant staff manning this busy breakfast nook! We were pleasantly surprised as have not stayed in a Best Western for a long time. We will not shy away from Best Western again!

Average hotel with average to good breakfast offerings. Appreciated the internet and the desk attendant's advice on restaurants. A good hotel for a short stay, but not located within the downtown area or activities.

It was our anniversary weekend on the spur of the moment we decide to do the circle tour around Lake Michigan and door County was our first up a very pleasant stay. Never had been in door County before and it proved to be a very pleasant experience from checking into the hotel to our stay there to even suggestions on where to eat that evening was a very pleasant dinner at the Nightingale restaurant right around the corner from the hotel and the amenities in the hotel were pleasant kind a wish we had more time there but we were on a deadline

This is a clean, quiet, comfortable place to stay. The staff is generally very friendly. The rooms are spacious. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is much more than we expected, with a large breakfast room, and a wide selection of breakfast items. The breakfast room is located next to the swimming pool/spa area, visible through glass windows. The location is very good for a sightseeing trip of Door County. It is very popular, so be sure and make your reservation early.

Visited the winery.Quilt shops and various others stores downtown including the candy shop & ice cream store. Shopped Wal-Mart, piggle wiggley Stayed at Best Western Maritime. Conviently for our 2 day stay & play in the area.

The breakfast was great! Employees worked very hard at the facility to keep food items freaks holy stocked. Front counter was very helpful. Housekeeping did a great job. Will stay there again when motorcycling in Door County.

good value - The rooms were clean and large. Pet friendly and the pet fee was very reasonable- $15.00. The staff was friendly and knowledgeble. I typically stay at Holiday Inn or Marriott properties, but I was pleasantly surprised by the service and the rooms.

Great motel for the money. The room was large, well appointed and fairly quiet even though we were next to the lobby. The breakfast was more like a Sunday buffet! There was a lot to choose from, including hot menu items.

We had a nice time here. The hotel is very convenient to Sturgeon Bay and to the peninsula. Our room was very quiet--at the back --with a nice view from windows which opened. We loved that. Would stay again.

Our group has stayed here every year for the Door County Century Ride! We have always enjoyed the clean comfortable rooms as well as the friendly and kind staff. We love the Jacuzzi for that after ride relaxation time! The breakfast room is pretty with a nice view of the pool room and the food selection is great!

I'd like to congratulate the front desk associate named Bobbie for her excellent customer service skills. I had a problem checking in due to hotel being at maximum capacity, she gladly cleaned an unavailable room for me to stay in and checked me in. The room was very clean, almost spotless and I was very satisfied with my stay.. very impressed with her work ethic! Will continue to stay here during my future business trips. The rooms in this hotel are on the larger size which is great with four people in the room. The sink is outside the shower/toilet area so it helps speed up everyone getting ready in the morning. The beds are very comfortable. I liked that the fridges in the rooms had a separate freezer compartment on top. The breakfast had Belgian waffles, hard boiled eggs, premade omelets with toppings, ham or sausage, toast/bagels, fresh fruit, and pastries. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The furniture is a bit out dated but the stay was very nice. An Econo Food grocery store, McDonalds, CVS, and Walmart are nearby. The hotel is easily accessible to the highway.

What a beautiful hotel they have here! Very nice, very clean rooms and hotel is quiet as we never heard a peep. Their continental breakfast was great as well, they do a great job here. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, if you're looking for a great place to stay!!!!!

Nothing special about this place, the room was clean enough but very dated. We stayed here only for a couple of days and it was good enough but not like anything you would see in door county. It's ok if your only staying a couple of days.

We were very comfortable staying here and appreciate that they are dog friendly. Our room was large and clean. The motel itself is quite large, but with a dog we were fortunate to be right by an outside door. Breakfast was very good with so many options. That was helpful so we could get back on the road in the morning. We were impressed that there were some options for people with dietary restrictions including some sugar free syrup, gluten free things could be obtained, lower fat yogurt and milk, and even soy milk. The breakfast area was very clean and spacious. Made for a comfortable one night stay.

Easy to find location. Check in was a bit slow as clerk was new and being trained. That was no problem for me. Very friendly staff, and eagerly answered all our questions concerning eating and shopping arrangements. Room was very nicely prepared and bed was very comfy. Very quiet and room was on first floor. The heater was very quiet. Didn't use the a/c.

We stayed here 05/05/17. Our room was good sized, clean and up to date, which we expected. What we didn't expect was the array of choices we had for breakfast, much greater than what I was expecting. Among the choices were waffles, omlets and toppings, oatmeal, hard boiled egs, yogurt, cereals and more. Definitely a good value.

The Maritime has a clean, quiet, base location to explore southern Door County.. Freezer, refrigerator, clean carpets thru out, breakfast attendant watches over and maintains the area, Many fast food spots, near by, Jimmy Johns, excellent "Beach Club", Econo Foods, Wal-Mart, economical stay..

When I walked in the hotel Bobby was at the counter with a big smile, she asked me how I was and seemed to really care. I asked her about eating some where and she gave me a number of places. At check out that person also was very friendly and asked me how my stay was and told me to have a great day !!

Best Western Maritime Inn recently went through a renevation with new carpets and mattresses so rooms are really nice. The staff is so friendly, accommodating and treated you as friends. I also stayed at Bridgeport resort (that place is way overrated) I quickly checked out and came back to the Maritime Inn where it felt like I was home again. They also have a good breakfast and coffee in lobby at all times and microwave and refrigerator in each room is very convenient.

We had two Twin Queen Bed Rooms which were clean and orderly. Staff was polite and helpful. Breakfast had a good range of options and was neatly displayed/kept. Beds were comfy and clean. Bathrooms had two sets of shampoo and bodywash dispensers - one set in the shower and one at the external sink. Very nice! TV was a bit small and mounted too high on the wall. Fridge was a bit loud at night. Would have been nice to have a love seat or a upholstered chair in each room. Overall, good experience for the money.

Nothing fancy, but nice, clean and comfortable at a great price. Friendly staff and the hotel is within walking distance of many places to shop and eat. The breakfast is pretty much what you'd expect from a free hotel breakfast and served in a comfortable seating area. The room was a little stuffy when I first arrived but luckily it was warm out and some fresh air from opening the windows quickly solved the issue. The 4-star/Very Good rating I'm giving is based on comparisons to other hotels in the area, of which this BW is at the top of the list for a value-priced, clean, comfortable room, but compared to hotels nation-wide, I believe a rating of "Average" would be more accurate.

This hotel was in the best location! To the north, you have immidiate access to travel to all of Door County, and to the south, you have the local stores and bars in the dowtown area. The room itself was typical of any standard hotel, but overall it was very clean, the halls were quiet, and everything was in working condition. The best part was breakfast: lots of delicious and fairly healthy options to choose from. I would stay here again.

No bad experiences, no outstanding experiences; just average. Decent location relative to where i wanted to go in Door County and OK pricing. Nice to have breakfast included too to save on costs. Conveniently located right down the road from grocery store and Walmart if needed.

Very disappointed with how the stay went. Our friends complained about the noise so we didn't but nothing was done. For almost $100 a night I should have been able to sleep at least a little bit and I feel the rooms could be a little more presentable.

We came to celebrate my sister-in-law's 50th birthday. There are so many nice things to do in Door County. The Best Western in Sturgeon Bay is a hotel that you can count on for cleanliness,great service,and friendly staff. The continental breakfast is the best I have ever experienced anywhere. It is a real breakfast. Have a little wine and sit in front of the real fireplace and see how wonderful it is.

Was very pleased with this hotel. Picked it mainly because it was pet friendly. Would return again. Enjoyed the free breakfast. Added new items each day. Felt this was a good value for our money.It was our first visit.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Clean, comfortable. No elevator so be prepared to lug your bags up the stairs if you end up on the second floor. Also the refrigerator was so loud I had to unplug it. But the staff was very friendly. Close to everything you need in Sturgeon Bay. Would stay here again.

Staying in hotels almost every week I'd say it was " nice" . Very clean all over...New carpeting In many areas. Close to restaurants, and shopping. Was disturbed by noisy teenagers in the hallway at 1:30 am... but it was a Saturday. Night.

My family and I stayed here for a couple of nights in door county. Breakfast was standard. Location was good, easy to get in and out and not far from the rest of door county. Hot tub was very very hot! I like a hot tubs like that so this hotel gets bonus points just for that. Rooms were clean.

$130 + per night for senior not even close to peak season. Not nice enough to justify price. Pool area not great, bathrooms messy. No fitness on property. Average at best. Would not re visit. Breakfast was good.

Asked manager Amy for state employee discount. Forgot the I.d. At home showed a picture of I.d. but that wasn't good enough. Also had sarcastic comments like " I'm being rude I'm yelling at her I'm going to be asked to leave , do I show that I.d. At work like that? and customer isn't always right. Just tried to get state employee discount with a picture of an I.d. I forgot at home. Even had another one to compare it to Amy had no interest in looking at. O one more important issue whe checked in was given a card to open someone else's room that was already occupied.

The service at this hotel is fantastic. Staff went out of their way to be sure we had our needs met. Rooms are large and comfortable; very clean and well attended to. Excellent breakfast! Perfect location. The pillows are a bit odd. You might want to bring your own.

We were in Sturgeon Bay for the Door County Fall 50 Mile Relay Race, stayed at the BW. The race started for some at 7am, as did breakfast. The Breakfast Ladies actually came in an hour or so early, to support all the runners in the hotel. That was outstanding. The breakfast was nice, the rooms clean, the fireplace in the lobby very nice post-race. We had a nice time in this hotel. Thanks, BW!

This hotel was a fine lodging option for our group of ladies spending the weekend in Door County. The breakfast attendants were helpful and attentive. The room both felt and smelled clean. We were very satisfied with our stay here!

Overpriced first of all!!!! We were put in the first room next to the front office! Which right away is NO good!!! The employees working the front desk kept going in and out of their office door which SLAMMED each and every time they came in or out!! This continues thru the night. Not to mention other hotel guest slamming their doors!!! Then they offer free breakfast but they decline to tell you that their is very limited setting, the employee working the breakfast suggested to us to bring our food to our room, so we had no other option so we did. Leaving the dishes in our room, (we stayed two nights) , we left for the day to come back to the room to find the dirty dishes in our room. Very old, would never stay again!

Went to Door County for their annual Fall Festival in Sister Bay. I booked this hotel for a few reason, the price, the hot tub in the room and the location. In order to book during this weekend one needs to stay a 2 night minimum, so I booked it back in March when we decided to stay for the weekend. Hotel was clean, employees friendly, food was mediocore

We were here only one night, arriving late evening and departing early the following morning. We didn't have any major complaints with the room - it seemed clean and fairly comfortable. The hotel was probably very nice, but that has been a long time ago. It looks and feels old. The breakfast was a high spot - better than the average hotel complimentary breakfast.

We have stayed at this hotel I believe 5 times in as many years. The hotel is an average hotel for the cost, usually clean and quiet. The past two times we stayed there we have had problems with the billing for the rooms. Even though we made reservations on the Best Western web site 3 weeks in advance, at the AARP/SENIOR rate, we were told at check-in that we could not get that rate without an AARP card. The Best Western web site clearly indicates that the rate is available to any senior, AARP member or not. We have never had a problem with this at any other Best Western and we have stayed at dozens of them..

We stayed here several years ago and were happy with everything. After returning in October 2016 to see the fall colors, I can say nothing has changed. Our room, while being slightly dated, was immaculate and featured all the conveniences (outlets, flat screen TV, refrigerator) we needed. The carpet in the hall was clean and everything was well-light. The swimming pool and hot tub were well maintained and set at perfect temperatures. The coffee could be improved on, but overall the breakfast was hearty featuring sausage patties, burritos, french toast or pre-made cheese omelettes.

Wow. Nothing bad that I can think of. The room was very clean and was up to date. The breakfast was good and and spacious. It was also very clean and convenient to any place in Door County. I would highly recommend this facility. My only request would be for the fan and the light to be separated in the bathroom.

I have stayed at many Best Westerns in the past and this location fell below standards. The noise of doors slamming from 5am on was unbelievable to us. We did have a couple of issues with our room. Once I reported them to the front desk they were responsive and were going to have maintenance check into them. The pool and breakfast area were very nice. I'm not sure if the noise was from inconsiderate guests or a maintenance issue. Whichever it is, I hope it changes for future guests.

We had an excellent stay for the weekend. The hot tub was nice and hot...bubbly. The complimentary breakfast is by far, one of the best we have had. The staff was constantly checking items, re-filling, and maintaining the cleanliness of the tables and eating area. Also did not rush to pack food up as the end time approached. Honestly, a great breakfast! The room was clean... There is water in the lobby and coffee. The only complaint I would have is there was a musty smell upon entering our room. My husband thought it was the smell of a cleaning agent. Also, the walls are a bit thin. Sleeping in was a bit of a challenge, as there was a lot of noise in the hallway. But overall, a great stay!

s always this is a great place to stay. It is close to our favorite towns and eateries. We especially like Sonny's Pizza. Convenient shopping close by if you forget to bring something. The breakfast is awesome.

Myself, my two daughters and two Granddaughters(ages 3 and 17) were traveling to Door County for a June vacation. We had decided to stop at the "beginning" of Door County get a good night's sleep and start out early next morning for fun! Good idea. We stayed at the Best Western Maritime Inn in Sturgeon Bay. Good choice. We ordered in from Sonny's Pizza and had that night's rest we needed. Staff was very nice. Everything was clean. Good location and we would do this again!

The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Very nice lobby with free wi-fi and computers available. The staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast had a full array of cold and hot foods that was as good as you will find in most restaurants. The dinning room was separate and very spacious. We definitely would stay there again.

This was a nice hotel and priced very reasonably. Tney served a great breakfast in a nice sized room The pool looked nice with a hot tub. The staff was very nice and very helpful with all my tourist questions. The only thing we noticed was the room had a dampness feel on the carpet. It didnt smell or feel unclean, just felt a little damp. We were on the first floor so maybe the upper floors wouldnt feel that way. Would stay there again for the price!

Wonderful place to stay in Sturgeon Bay. We've stayed here multiple times! I highly recommend it. The morning coffee was very good! We were able to check out quickly and they even opened up a slot for next years event that our group attends regularly so we could book right away.

We really like this hotel. The staff did a great job finding us a room for the dates that we needed. We received a call when a room opened up for our planned stay. The free breakfast was very good. Variety of healthy food (and donuts). Breakfast servers were prompt and on the ball.

This Best Western is the best I have stayed in. It was clean, had a nice big dining room for breakfasts, a great pool and hot tub and most important; a large clean room well appointed with good beds and furniture. Also a refrigerator and handy access to ice and soda dispensers. The breakfasts each morning were fabulous for food that is complimentary. The offerings were of a nice variety from the usual cereals, rolls, and toaster items (which are included) to waffles, egg roll ups, sausage, Canadian bacon, biscuits and gravy, juices and fruit. Except for the waffles,the hot items are not all served every day but the menu changes each day making for a nice variety.

Front desk staff, Bobbie and Jane, were extremely friendly and helpful to us. The whole staff is very friendly and professional. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The motel was full. The breakfast was quite good. Based on our pleasant experience, we highly recommend this motel.

We have been staying at this hotel the past 2 years during the weekend of the Door County Century Ride. It is conveniently located across from the park. The accommodations are very nice. There is a nice breakfast bar to eat at prior to the ride. We are also allowed to bring our bikes into our guest rooms!

Staying at the Best Western night before DCC ride allows us to have easy in & out for the event. Breakfast was very good and helped fuel us for the long ride ahead. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Thanks!

Our second stay here and its a pretty decent place. Nice thing is that they accept felines. We travel with our cat who happens to think she is a dog so its convenient for us. Rooms are decent size, pool is indoors with hot tub . Breakfast in the morning is pretty good. Rooms are clean. Lots to do in the area.

My husband and I stayed here for our Anniversary. As soon as I walked into our Hotel Room it felt extremely damp. The carpet was wet, the beds were damp it smelt like very strong bleach in our room and I instantly got a headache. We complained to the Front Desk, they came up to our room and said they were sorry we got a damp room. They allowed us to see other rooms to see if they were better. We checked 5 other rooms that were the same if not worse than ours. Finally the last one we looked at was better than all of the previous ones (but still not great). They obviously have serious mold and ventilation issues. The front desk girl even admitted that the 1st floor rooms were worse then the 2nd floor.

I wanted to change the date of my stay and did not realized that instead of one day they have a three day deadline for free cancellation. So I had a charge on my CC bill including tax, about $10 more than booking.com said I was required to pay. When I called to complain, got the runaround, and no satisfaction. I actually became aware of this sneaky practice after my re-booked stay.

Free parking, Internet, indoor pool and hot tub. The stay includes a free continental breakfast. This may be the largest, most elaborate continental breakfast I have ever seen. I attached some photos to show the breakfast area. Room has a coffee maker and has the sink area outside the bathroom so two people can easily get ready at once. I found the staff friendly, the room and facility to be clean. No elevator so if you have mobility restrictions, requests room on the first floor.

My boyfriend and I booked a short weekend getaway to Door County. We stayed in a bed and breakfast the previous year and decided we wanted to stick with a regular hotel setting this time around. The Maritime Inn was in a good location near the places we wanted to visit. When we first arrived, we were put in a room right next to the breakfast area. It was a little loud in the morning with the breakfast preparations and early morning conversations. We found it difficult to sleep in, so we asked if we could move rooms. The hotel staff was very accommodating. They quickly found another room for us (at no charge) and followed up with us later to ensure our stay was comfortable. They were very friendly and helpful in directing us to local restaurants, shops, etc. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Maritime Inn.

Very convenient for what we needed. Friendly staff and courteous. In the morning for breakfast they were closed by the time I got there and the employees were more than gracious to get whatever I wanted. Decent breakfast. We needed to get in and get out in the morning and we could do this easily. It is very convenient to a grocery store, WalMart, restaurants, and banks.

If you are looking for a cheap descent hotel that serves a buffet style breakfast then look no further than this location. Friendly staff from the moment you check in till the second you leave. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Pool area is on the small side & adjacent to the dining room. No faults, just a no thrills hotel.

We booked our trip last minute, so had a hard time finding pet friendly lodging. The room was ok, it was clean, but you can tell it was the "dog room", a little stinky, stains on the carpet, but overall it was ok.

Very convenient location; staff was very helpful, breakfast was very good. Mattress was very firm and a little uncomfortable, but most people prefer firm. Don't think there is an option for this. Refrigerator worked fine for cakes to bring back to Illinois.

This Best Western needs help with their room dampness and smell and beds - and restaurant temperature of food choices! Our clothes were damp in our suitcases, the carpeting was damp and gross. Our eggs were cold on the breakfast bar.

We and another couple stayed here and were VERY disappointed. Both of our rooms smelled musty and of mold. (Not good for anyone who has lung issues) I talked to a few other guests prior to leaving and they too complained of the same experience. One guest told me that her room smelled so bad that she couldn't even stay in the room, guess she spent the night wondering around the lobby. I understand that the hotel is near water, but it appeared to me that the hotel may have experienced some water damage in the past. Our room was next to a supply closet and we were awoken to banging and loud talking. Staff was putting supplies away at 7:15am :-( Don't know how the breakfast was because when we went to the breakfast room at 9:10am it was closed. All of the different brands of hotels that we have stayed at don't end their breakfast until at least 10 am. When we arrived late after the Packer game there was no parking available. Desk representative said we could park along side the building...made us nervous to park in basically the fire lane. This is the first time we have ever stayed at a Best Western hotel and will probably be our last!!

We had a big room with plenty of space. There was a problem with the tub not draining properly and they came to fix it right away. The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms and common areas are a little dated, but the beds were clean and comfortable.

Stayed four nights at this BW. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. The free continental breakfast was decent, not much variety, but it was nice to be able to walk just down the hall. It's not right in the DC activity corridor but near enough and there are things to do right in Sturgeon Bay and along the easy drive north thru Door county. We enjoyed the local county parks in Sturgeon Bay, which gave great access to the Bay/Lake. The SB downtown area on 3rd Street was full of small shops for gifts. There is also a Walmart in walking distance to the hotel for those last minute items you forgot to bring.

This was a visit over a weekend to visit family. Pros: Beds were great! Room clean. Friendly staff. Great free breakfast. Wifi worked fine. Easy location Cons: My fault for not reporting but our bathroom light did not work so if the heat lamp went off (it was not reliable either) there was obviously no light with the door shut. May have been a wiring issue as we had a few other odd things like cell phone not charging overnight etc. Other than that recommended!

Great customer service and price for a hotel in Door County. It is an older hotel with some noise from above our room and hallway doors shutting but was clean. No fitness area but you can go across the road and work out for free. Pool was good size for our kids and lots of room for everyone. Breakfast buffet changed daily and had a variety of items. There was quite a bit of seating for breakfast, but many of us had to stand because all of the table and chairs were filled.

Hubby and I stayed here for three nights. It is a very average hotel. Our room was old but clean. When we checked in we found out that there is no elevator. Hubby asked four times if there wasn't a room on the first floor. It was always no until the fourth time he asked and then we got a room on the first floor. Breakfast was your usual egg dishes, make your own waffles, fruit, cereal and juices. The staff kept the breakfast area clean and well stocked. There is no fitness center on site but you can use one down the road if you get a signed slip from the front desk. Our beds were ok, kind of soft mattresses and very soft pillows. This hotel is nothing fancy but it is clean and easy to get to. (Although there is no signage on the front of the hotel. There is one sign on the corner towards the back. We did not see that coming in from the side road.)

Pool was cloudy. Room was "wet" like the carpet had just been cleaned, and had a very strong chemical smell whenever we returned and it had been closed up. A damp towel hung up on Tuesday evening was still damp Thursday morning. Didn't report it at check-in as I didn't realize just how wet it was until I took my shoes off and the rest of the family was in bed. Then assumed it would dry out while we were out and about during the day, but it was still wet the second night. Reported it at check-out and staff said it had been very humid.

We stayed here with our kids and grandkids for a number of days. It was a good place to stay in Door County since the hotels farther north tend to be more expensive. There was a great breakfast buffet (a bit more extensive than the typical continental offerings) and the food selection changed from day to day. Pool was nice, the rooms were clean, and the staff (especially the breakfast staff) were friendly and helpful.

My wife and I stayed here for a wedding that was taking place in the area. Everyone here was friendly and caring from start to finish. The room was very comfortable as well as clean. They serve a nice breakfast in the morning and the pool area is very inviting. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area whether for business or pleasure.

Very clean, quite and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was extremely organized, stocked and staff kept it very clean unlike most busy buffets. If we are ever in the Sturgeon Bay area again we would stay here.

We were planning a trip to Door County. Decided on this hotel because of its location and good value. We were not disappointed. It is an easy drive up to Door County, and the hotel was quiet and comfortable. There were a lot of people here, but you never felt crowded.

The 1st room, the water heater was broken and even though they were full they found us a room. The pool was great but very chlorinated. Some of the other guests were drinking hy the pool when i had my children there, so we had to leave. Looked like girls night out. The breakfast was nice, location good. I would def. Stay there again.

Room we had smelled damp, A/C didn't seem to keep up. We didn't spend much time at the hotel so didn't bother to complain. Location was convenient to drugstore and fast food, about a mile from downtown. Would probably stay somewhere else next time but we wanted to be close to downtown for this trip.

We always have a great stay at the Best Western Maritime Inn! The staff is friendly, engaging, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast buffet has lots of choices including yummy cherry topping for their waffles in season. The rooms are large and clean. The pool and hot tub are relaxing. The location is great as it is within walking and biking distance of downtown Sturgeon Bay. We have stayed at the Best Western Maritime Inn numerous times and always find it Ship Shape!

We stayed at the Best Western Maritime Inn while in town for a family gathering. We had booked a block of rooms at the hotel for our family, and the hotel's staff was very accommodating to our group! They very smoothly got everyone checked in. The hotel looks to have been remodeled recently, and was mostly up to date. The lobby and hallways were very appropriately decorated, and were clean. We were a little confused by the room, because certain parts had been updated while others had not. But the room was spacious and clean, and the beds were comfortable! The towel rack in our bathroom broke the first day, but the staff was quick to fix it. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, and included a variety of choices. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Sturgeon Bay, and we will stay again.

The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is very good. It''s easy to at first draw a negative opinion because the place looks somewhat dated and there is no elevator. (Top floor is second floor, so only one flight up). However, it is actually well maintained. Since Sturgeon Bay is at the "bottom" of Door County, one has to go north to visit any of the other towns. If you are exploring the area, you might want to stay more centrally located. Still, this Best Western is a good choice overall.

The Best Western was a good stop. The rooms were large and clean and very quiet. The pool and hot tub were welcome after our bike ride. The breakfast was acceptable. We had a good experience with the staff in returning my misplaced credit card which they turned in to our support staff for the Door county bike ride.

The place is nice in the lobby, but it ends there. No elevator for rooms on second floor, rooms look dated and dingy, shower/tub was dirty, toilet kept overflowing. Breakfast is a nice spread and pool is ok.

Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, best free breakfast I ever had. The ladies in the dining room kept the food stocked and the dining area clean. Great and safe location. Walked around at night by myself and felt comfortable. Great value, comfortable beds and pillows, also plenty of pillows. Spacious bathroom and plenty of towels. Plenty of free parking. Very clean Motel, nice staff, very good breakfast, easy check out. Staff was very helpful in getting us to where we wanted to be to see the Tall Ships, we had traveled to Sturgeon Bay especially to see the Tall Ships.

Immaculate, spacious, comfortable, quiet, with wonderful amenities and a free, delicious breakfast! Very helpful staff. Pets are allowed, but we never heard one. Great place to stay if you are touring the Door Peninsula.

Could really use some staff with answers to questions. Truly in need of staff who know how to use computers. Someone besides the guests should be confirming proper functioning of all guest room equipment.

We chose this hotel because we have stayed there before and really enjoyed ourselves and its amenities. It is close to places we like to visit while in Door Country, as well as close to different shopping and dining establishments where we like to shop and to eat. We almost always can get a reservation at this Best Western and enjoy our stays there. One of the groups to which we belong has met there several times and also received discounts for the room rentals. The breakfast is always good and eating there is a pleasure.

Hotel was reasonably priced. Very clean and comfortable. The best complimentary hotel breakfast we ever had. Everyday something different. Was delicious and always someone filling the entries up and cleaning. Was very impressed.

We enjoyed our short stay in Sturgeon Bay. Staff was courteous, and nice. Room was your basic with two queen beds, but it did have a microwave and fridge which was helpful. We stayed one night on our way to the Dells from MI. We wanted to see the other beautiful Sturgeon Bay on the other side of the Lake. We live near the Sturgeon Bay in MI ??. It's more of a small town than in MI, but just as quaint and beautiful. Great food at Sonny's, I highly recommend both! We did not use the pool facilities, so I can't comment on them.

We really enjoyed this Best Western. It was clean and neat. The staff were very very kind. They assisted us with questions about the area. The room was wonderful. A very good night sleep. The breakfast in the morning was very nice. ALot to pick from. Great coffee!

Door county can be fun if you plan your visit right be sure to stop by cave point park and small hiking path will take you through this hidden gem, eagle trail was fun, fish boil at the old post office was outstanding compare to our last trip at palliatarie, Zattle farm is a hidden gem I love the variety of "pick your own"cherries they offer. I have been to many orchard over the years and this one seems to be my favorite. They also have unique area for kids to play and wonderful walk of vineyard. Farm was hard to find it is next to PCJunction. I also found out he lets you pick peaches in fall, so definitely be going back for that. on our last day with chance of showers we decided to go to whitefish dunes and I am glad we did! it was amazing !! sounds of big waves crashing to the rocks, few local painters were out painting, ton of people in the park.

I have stayed at this hotel several times because of its location and reasonable price. But I'm afraid I can no longer stay here. Getting older prevents this: 1. The hotel has NO elevator and the first floor rooms fill up fast, so if are getting on in age, have bad knees, or if walking steps with luggage, shopping bags or coolers will be an issue call ahead. There is still no guarantee that a first floor will be available. I wouldn't think of bringing a handicapped person with NO first floor room! 2. I had an issue with the 6-9am breakfast time. I'm on vacation! Getting up that early was not in the cards. So the "free" breakfast wasn't to be. Staff is friendly. The room was clean.

Like many Best Western properites, overall this property is a nice place to stay. The staff is helpful and nice. The location is convenient and clean. Breakfast is reasonable. Nothing that really stands out - in either as a big negative. But nothing that makes this place extra special either. The one complaint I have is about the availability of electrical outlets in the room. I found the number of outlets, and their placement to be inadequate and inconvenient for the 21st century.

Room was nice and clean. Breakfasts were very good and breakfast staff was super friendly. Parking was plentiful, easy to get in and out. Not impressed with pool area, too shallow and small but we weren't staying there for that. Views were either of parking lot or road. Would stay again, nice hotel, price a little high.

We recently stayed 2 nights at this Greatly improved Best Western in Sturgeon Bay. The staff is Super friendly and helpful, from the front reception desk, Amy and Jane to the manager Kathy. Made us feel very welcome and like family. Every member of the staff , including housekeepers we met in the halls were friendly. They all go above and beyond for you. and with smiles. Excellent Customer Service. The rooms are spotless along with the rest of the hotel including lobby, hallways and breakfast area. The continental breakfast is Great as well as the staff taking care of it. Very hard working girls. I would Highly Recommend this hotel while visiting Door County. This is the only place we stay when we come here.

The entire property was clean and well maintained. The desk staff, breakfast staff, and maids were all friendly and helpful. It is located a short drive from the quaint downtown Sturgeon Bay area. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We were very happy to secure a room last minute at a rate that was not inflated due to the busy weekend in Door County. Other places we checked out were asking $100 more per night and, only living 2 hours away, we were willing to drive home. It was great to be able to stay on vacation for an additional day, without breaking the bank!

Very happy with the accommodation's and staff at this hotel. Breakfast was wonderful! The pool area and hot tub were great to relax in. The adjoining breakfast room was large and made a terrific gathering area for our large group. We would definitely consider staying here again. Several things within walking distance which is great for a group of motorcyclists!

Check-in was fast and easy, room was very clean, breakfast area was clean and well maintained. We didn't use the pool however it looked nice. We visited Door County for the first time and this was nice place to start and end our day. We'd stay here again for future trips.

I was photographing an event and found this motel to be well situtated and a good value. I would have rated it excellent except it had no water view. It was a very convient location but very little traffice noise for a weekend. Rooms were above average and comfortable for the weekend.

We went for a long weekend with 2 adults and 2 children. Very nice, clean hotel. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was outstanding. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the Door County area.

A relative and myself stayed 4 nights while doing some sight seeing in Door County. A quiet location out of the touristy areas in the more northerly part of Door County. Rooms were clean and staff were helpful. The provided breakfast was flavorful and plentiful. I'd definitely return here.

This Best Western had a good location, excellent service, very clean room, and a yummy hot continental breakfast. This initial stay in Sturgeon Bay really set the stage for our family having a great Door County weekend.

This Hotel has some of the friendliest staff that I have ever interacted with. I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who is full of suggestions on places to eat nearby. I had trouble with the room key and was immediately assisted to fix the problem. My only complaint is I had a second-floor room and there are no elevators.

Our room was large and spacious. There was a whirlpool in the suite but we did not use it. The AC worked great. The bathroom was clean. It was a little odd that the bathroom sink was outside the bathroom but it was fine for just two people. The staff was very friendly, suggesting places for us to eat and visit. The cleaning staff greeted us multiple times in the hallways in passing. The hot breakfast was great, although a little crowded. We did not swim as we thought the pool was a little cloudy. The cleaning staff never did get around to cleaning out room on our second day so we had a lot of trash build up by checkout on day three. But wouldn't be something that would discourage us from staying again. If ever in Door County again, we would probably stay here.

We stayed here one night. The room was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. They honored my request for a first floor room near the pool. it was not on the water but close enough to get to the sites we wanted to see. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast.The whirlpool was good. The pool could of been a little clearer, but not bad.The microwave and refrigerator were appreciated. I would stay here again if in the area.

Not very clean. Cleaning is something this place needs a big change in. If this place has an inspection for cleanliness, there should be an opening soon. I stayed there once a week for a year, and there was always something that made me scratch my head. I once found a washcloth hanging from the shower head. I wondered many times that maybe the sheets were being reused. The Heaters and Air Conditioners could not be regulated very well. I woke up many times, either sweating or freezing.

The Best Western Maritime isn't overly fancy, but it is worth a stay when you're in Door County. The employees are friendly and Adam gave us a nice recommendation on where to eat dinner. The hotel and room was clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. There is an extensive breakfast included and it included a wide variety of choices from make your own waffles, sausage, build your own oatmeal and yogurt, etc. The downfall is that there wasn't enough seating to accommodate the breakfast crowd. As a child of the 80's, I was extremely excited that they had an arcade game that had Atari favorites like Frogger and Burger Time! (Yes, I'm easily amused!) We didn't utilize the pool or hot tub.

Other than the location (it's not near or on the beach) this was a great hotel. The location of the lunch area and pool was easy to find, yet away from the office. The breakfast was one of the best we had on our entire trip.

The local people here were very friendly. The downtown was just minutes away. The Bay is beautiful with all the boats docked.

This was my second visit to Door Co. and have chosen Best Western both times. The staff is very pleasant and helpful, I especially wish to thank Bobbie, her assistance made my visit the best possible. Rooms are clean and well stocked, the complimentary breakfast has a large selection and the beds are to my liking. I will make this Best Western my home again on my next visit!

The first thing that we noticed was the cooler set at 61 degrees, though it seemed much colder. Perhaps the frigid air was meant to cover a musty smell. The beds were average, nothing special. Breakfast was adequate, again pretty standard. Staff was friendly. The hotel is conveniently located. There are not a lot of dining options in the area. The location was pretty quiet.

I'm awarding this hotel 5 stars due to its abundance of thoughtful amenities. The décor is a beautiful blend of cozy charm and contemporary update. Everyone is gracious and friendly. The staff makes you feel like it's no problem keeping you happy and comfortable. It's ideal for cleanliness and well organized. This is the place I can unpack my worries along with my vacation clothes. I'm Luxuriating in the serenity of the living room. It provides an easy way to relax while giving travel mates some Independence I really like the wall mounted soap and shampoo dispensers. Seems like an ecological,economical and hygienic alternative to tiny plastic bottles and bars of soap. Our room is spacious and cleverly appointed. A desk, plus a bistro table was an invitation for family game playing, solitaire, and coffee chats. Even though handsome candle burning on the coffee table in the common area makes it feel homey. The breakfast buffet was abundant and delicious. The dining room is big and airy. The spa pool is wonderful. A clean solarium style room with comfortable chairs. We appreciate the windows looking in from the dining room. It's a convenient way to keep an eye on one's kids in the pool. Finally, a thankful word for the superior lighting and ambience of the hallway. Too often the hotel hallways are dingy, depressing and dreary. These are warmly lit and clean. Makes for an inviting entry to our room. WELL DONE MARITIME! And thank you, kind staff.

Not overly fancy, but our experience was good! Rooms were clean and front desk staff were very helpful. Breakfast was adequate. The pool was visible from the breakfast seating area so you might feel "on display" when swimming and/or using the hot tub during certain times of day. People also use the seating area for small meetings, reading, etc. Note: there are no elevators. Room 255 and a few others on the "back" or southeast side of hotel have a view of mostly mature evergreen trees vs. parking lot/street on the front side.

My wife and I stayed there for 3 nights. The carpet was dirty and smelly. The bed and pillows smelled bad too! The bathroom and toilet were clean at least; and the wireless internet was fast enough. 6 out of 10 overall rating for me.

Well worth the price. Good breakfast, Nice pool and hot tub. The only thing that might make it better is the ability to completely close the window curtains in order to block morning sunlight. Otherwise the stay was great.

I was very pleased with my stay. The hotel staff was very helpful and respectful. It was very easy to find the hotel. I was able to check in early. The room was very clean. The bathroom was a bit moldy , otherwise I would have rate the hotel excellent. There was a nice pool and you have access to the gym across the road. Breakfast was good. It's a great hotel for families. Would stay there again.

I looked at several hotels in the area before picking the Best Western. I was clean and comfortable at a great price with friendly staff. My mother has a hard time walking and they put us in a room close to the door to make it easier for her.

I like this hotel. I thought the staff was wonderful. The pool was clean. Coffee was always on. The bed was hard but some people like that. I asked for extra pillows to soften up my sleeping and the staff end two big fluffy pillows. That really helped.

Upon arrival we had an issue with the bill & the front desk clerk was rude. HOwever, the next evening we approached the front desk again & asked the clerk to help us out. She was awesome!! She was professional & kind. She solved the problem and saved us over $200. She made the whole trip worthwhile. The food was great. The rooms could use a bit of updating, generally it was a positive thing. Very handy to shopping.

From the outside and from looking at photos on trip advisor I thought the rooms wouldn't be nice. When I walked in Jane at the front desk kindly greeted me with a small and had customer service that was so AWESOME i didnt care about what id previously thought... i just wanted a room!Jane gave us maps and made suggestions on where to visit and eat. The room were CLEAN ODOR FREE NICE SHOWERS!! Yes! Yes! Yes! After staying in a horrible hotel in Greenbay I was relieved and felt i had been given a blessing... lol. The free breakfast........ The BEST ive ever had at a hotel... It was so good I tipped the staff... We'd didnt get a chance to hit the pool but from the looks of it the pool and hot tub looked super nice as Jane stated... No gym here But... you can get a kee from front desk and hit up the Any time Fitness gym for free directly across the street within walking distance! Loved it here!!!!

Extremely clean, beds were comfortable with nice pillows...great night sleep. The breakfast was awesome; waffle maker, three hot items (sausage, omelets, French toast) and all the other normal breakfast foods. The attendants where very busy keeping items filled and CLEAN. I liked the idea that the sink was outside of the bathroom, made it easy to get ready. The room also had a refrigerator and microwave. At check-in we were made to feel welcome, and were given directions on a scenic drive or the faster way to a wedding we were attending. Only complaint about this hotel would be it's location.

They had clean room, a indoor pool, and a great breakfast. We asked for a first floor room near an exit and they gave us everything we asked for. It is located on the north side of the city on Hwy 42 & 57 so all we had to do was drive about 5-7 minutes and we were in Egg Harbor so it was located very well.

The Maritime Inn is a bit off the beaten path for Door County, but within a reasonable drive to the other DC towns. The room was clean with nice linens and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast offered more than the usual BW buffet - more choices - including soy milk, the first time I've seen that at any hotel breakfast buffet. I'd stay here again.

Overall a decent stay. The beds were very comfortable; a lot better than in previous years. Would have liked to have had some kind of bars to hang onto in the shower. The coffee in the breakfast room was one of those 'instant' coffee machines which I personally dislike. Did not eat anything in the morning but I'm sure the food was fine.

Had another great vacation staying at the Best Western Maritime Inn while fishing with guide Andy Stuth of Door County Charters. Room was good as always and the new breakfast items were really good. Especially love the granola with yogurt and dried cherries. The staff were friendly and caring and that is why I keep coming back and will continue to frequent this hotel. Spent three days fishing with Andy and had a great time doing it. We were able to catch the door county trifecta on multiple days which is not always easy to do. Hotel had parking for our boat with outlets so we could charge the batteries after a hard day of fishing. Thanks again for a great stay. Fred Hicks

My daughters and I stayed in Sturgeon Bay. The staff was very helpful. The front desk clerk helped us with directions and the best places to eat.The hotel was clean and the breakfasts were awesome. We have stayed here several times and like the location, pool area, and convenience to the area attractions.

This motel is an awesome bargain. Breakfast is wonderful for a motel breakfast. Pool area and rooms are very nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this motel if you are in the Sturgeon Bay area.

Room was very clean and staff very pleasant and helpful...our first trip to Sturgeon Bay...we had our dog along with us and the only problem there is that there isn't a lot of immediate dog walking space...but she was very welcome and the fee was minimal for the stay of 4 days...we were on an anniversary trip and disappointed to see what looked like a very rowdy and at least half-drunk party bus unloading...I made my apprehensions known and the helpful ladies at the desk made sure we were located at the other end of the property...breakfast was better than any of the other discount hotels we have stayed at...wi-fi was pretty good too

At check in I asked about the $25.00 for staying 2 times, I showed them my bill from the last Best Western stay last week and she told me I did qualify for it. She went into computer and told me she signed me up to get it. No hoops to jump thru !! That is truly service above and beyond.

Front desk was friendly. Room was clean, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, with the bathroom sink & counter out in the room, which I really dislike, instead of in the bathroom. Lighting was mediocre. Blanket on the bed quite thin, mattress slanted to one side, but good pillows. Quiet. The shower was apparently designed for basketball players. The nozzle was about 6 1/2 feet up on the wall & stiff, so even standing on my toes (I'm 5'2") I couldn't reach it well enough to adjust it. Breakfast was OK.

Not a lot of bells and whistles but the beds were comfortable, the shower was refreshing and the people were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is located within a couple of miles of downtown so it's easy to get around.

Recently stayed for two nights. Our room was very comfortable and extremely clean!! Heater was quiet and never rattled once! The breakfasts included waffles with choices of toppings, cheese omelettes, sausage gravy, biscuits, sausage patties, pastries, and all the other breakfast foods usually expected at hotel breakfasts. Employees are all nice people and very helpful. We enjoy staying here, have stayed in the past with family (grand kids loved the pool!) and will stay again without hesitation!

Check-in was very good but the amenities here very disappointing. From SD channels to very poor working Wi-Fi to old showers. Not anywhere near what we had expected. Lots of improving to do if they want us to return in the future.

Traveled to Sturgeon Bay recently to attend a family funeral, brought our dogs with, as we would be spending time visiting with family. This is the first time ever traveling with our dogs that they've been presented with goodie bags during check-in. Also enjoyed the new pet friendly room with hardwood floors. We usually stay at the Best Western when in Sturgeon Bay for family events, it's always our first choice and will continue to be. Thank you for a nice stay
