    « Great Hotel »

This is one good hotel. Close to airport and very clean and great breakfast. The shuttle to airport & bart which enabled us to get into San Fran easily made the trip. I'd rather stay at the Best Western Grosvenor than a hotel in the city anyday.

    4
    « Convenient airport sleeping »

The hotel is a very basic overnight stop, but with superb access to the SFO rental car return location. There also is an airport shuttle that makes an early trip to the airport for a morning flight quite convenient. Have stayed there many times, and most recent stop-over showed that they have upgraded the place and keep it in clean and decent shape.

    4
    « Close to SFO »

Hotel has been redone and rooms are much improved. This is a convienient stay for an early morning flight from SFO. Full breakfast buffet, rooms are full of plugs for electronics, comfy bed, and shuttle to airport every 30 mins.

    5
    « Vacation »

This hotel provided excellent hotel restaurant, had a washer and dryer for us to use, and free hotel shuttle to and from the airport. We stayed at the Best Western Tuscan for four days and decided to stay closer to the airport since we had a very early flight. It gave us the opportunity to rest before going home.

    « OLDER HOTEL WITH A FACELIFT »

On occasion I take early morning flights, which causes me to stay at hotels near the SFO airport. This one is about a Mile away. I have stayed at the holiday inn, la Quinta and here. This is by far the best choice. Friendly check in staff, John and Peter, in my case. Clean spacious and updated rooms, at a very reasonable price. That's what the Hotel business is all about.

    « Good »

Great hotel to stay. The tub didn't drain well in room 624. That was the only down side to out stay. Other than that everything was great. Me and my lovely wife enjoyed the breakfast and how nice the dining room was. Thank you!

    4
« Nice hotel and good location »

The hotel is very nice and clean. Our room was cleaned daily during our 4 nights stay. The breakfast was decent and they do offer steamed rice too! The location is very good as well to go to SF downtown. We would stay here again when come back to SF.

    5
    « Convenient and comfortable »

Handy for an overnight near the airport, reasonably priced. Spacious room. Comfortable bed (Best Western beds always seem to be very comfortable.) Good Wifi. Above average breakfast -- lots of selection. Welcoming, friendly, helpful staff. Free shuttle to/from airport, makes it easy when you fly in and just want to get to the hotel and relax.

    4
« Great hotel for a night before a flight »

This hotel is very convenient for SFO and has a park and fly package at a reasonable price. The breakfast in the morning is a good way to start before a flight. The room was comfortable and clean. We'd stay here again.

    5
    « Great Meeting »

Thank you to the service team for making our meeting so comfortable. The hotel is easy to find and convenient for people who had to fly into the city. The property is also self contained with all the amenities we needed. There was no reason to leave the building and we could focus on why we were there.

    « Keeping looking... »

This hotel smells like a sewer in the lobby and in the room(s). No response was given from the staff as to the cause if the foul stench. We were also put in a room with a whopping 10" of space between the bed and the wall. Bad for all but proximity to the airport car returns.

    3
« Average hotel close to SFO airport »

Visited this hotel during a family trip to San Fran with my 2 children. Hotel is good enough to sleep and have free breakfast before spending all day outside. Not a bad drive from main attractions vs. downtown hotels that are very expensive.

    4
« Better than average Best Western - Renovated but still a bit worn »

This hotel is a bit worn on wood floors and elevators but the other decor is tasteful and in pretty good condition. I particularly liked the stained glass in the lobby and restaurant - but I'm a glass junky :-). The rooms are large and clean with nice touches - mini fridge, comfortable reading chair, lots of space to set suitcases, and desk and chair. The WiFi is easy to access and decently fast (not counting large downloads). You get a bit of noise from outside but not too bad. No bottled water in the room but available if you ask for it at the desk. The staff was very nice and helpful. A real bargain in SF. I will definitely stay there again if I need an airport hotel at SFO.

    5
« Best Hotel in San Francisco Area »

This hotel to me is the best hotel. Close to San Francisco, the staff are great and the rooms are clean. Parking are great prices Vs what you would pay if you were in San Francisco. I recommend this hotel to friends all the time.

    3
« Convenient for Airport, could do with an update! »

Stayed here for one night when arriving late into SF. It's fine as airport hotels go, shuttle takes you direct to the Hotel (takes around 10 minutes) although beware we had to wait for a long time for the shuttle (we may have just missed one but took 20-30 mins for one to arrive). Rooms are big with two double beds in each. Feels quite dated and breakfast was all very much self serve, no healthy options (all sugar laden).

    1
    « Dated and Depressing! »

I travel a lot for work and this has to be the very worst hotel I've stayed in, ever!! They charged to park in the parking lot, really!!?? The decor was so dated I felt I stepped back to the 80's and not in a hip retro way. it was so depressing and drab I couldn't wait to leave!

    4
« Good to Stay Near Airport »

This was our last place to stay on our way back from a family event in both San Franscisco and Gilroy . We checked in after a day of sight seeing and had an early flight for the east. Everything was on schedule and found the staff was busy but helpful. The restaurant food was ok , would not order anything Italian there. My husband did and was up most of the night with stomach discomfort. The rooms were spacious and clean . The bed was very comfortable .The shuttle for an early flight on time! Would recommend end for those who are flying output of. This great city.

    3
« Very close to SFO »

If you want to stay near the airport to easily catch an early flight this is a great jumping off point. it is clean and comfortable. there is a cute bar on site. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet and had everything we needed.

    4
« great choice for overnight before a flight »

nice, large hotel; close to airport, convenient for rental car return or hotel shuttle to airport: very good breakfast with lots of variety and choices; variety of small multicultural restaurants close by but most best reached by car

    4
    « Excellent, overnighter »

Stayed one night after LHR to SFO flight. Near the airport and easy to find. Check in excellent, friendly staff. Room was clean, amenities as expected with a BW Plus Hotel. Nice and quiet for a good nights' sleep. Parking easy and free. Bar OK, but wasn't easy getting served.

  • 4
    « Nice Hotel »

Great Location!!. Close to airport. Price for a one night sleep over was reasonable and that also included 10 days free parking with shuttle service to and from airport. Worked very well with my schedule. I would gladly recommend this hotel to family and friends.

    5
« Best place near the San Francisco Airport »

Room space is expansive and clean. Transportation to the airport every 30 minutes starting at 4 AM and a grab bag lunch to go was a nice surprise also. An apple, carton of OJ, sweet roll and a power bar, no cost! Pleasant staff and check in took 2 minutes or less. Breakfast is scrumptious and balanced. Dining in the evening has a small, but good menu at a good value. Did I mention free newspapers for the early risers and free ice water and coffee plus their earn a free night program? I've stayed here many times over the years and it only gets better as time passes. My congratulations to the management and I highly recommend,

    5
    « Excellent Choice »

Great location - only minutes from the airport. Convenient location for public transportation and downtown San Francisco. Hotel staff was very helpful with directions to assist new visitor to the area. I had a room with two queen beds which was very clean and comfortable.

    4
« Great for a 1 night stay before an early flight »

We stayed here twice within a week when we flew into and then out of San Francisco. We chose this hotel because it offers a free shuttle service every 30 minutes to and from the airport. This was a very efficient service! Our room was ample large enough for 2 one night stays because we didn't need lots of storage space or hangers. It did have coffee and tea and an iron and board, but no in-room safe.. There is free Wi-Fi in the hotel. On our first visit only one elevator was working, apparently the other had been broken for some time. This caused problems with accessing other floors and queues at busy times. On our second visit, the problem had been fixed which made checking in and out much easier. The complementary buffet breakfast was OK with a reasonable selection of breakfast items available, but the dining area got crowded at busy times. On our first visit we ate in the bar as we arrived late. Stephanie who served us was very helpful with menu choices. On our second visit we ate in the bar again since it was easier to organise. Stephanie who again served us was very good - she remembered us from 5 days previously. We had the salmon and the jambalaya pasta, both of which were very tasty but not too filling. The hotel offers happy hour in the bar from 4 - 6pm which is good value: beer $4, wine $5, well drinks $6 with complementary nibbles.

    3
« Some good, some not so good »

This is a property that has a lot going for it, but falls short in some important areas. The location is very good- less than 10 minutes from the airport even in rush hour. The hotel shuttle is efficient and timely. The desk staff is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is included in the relatively reasonable room price, and the food is a little better than the typical hotel freebie in terms of taste and quality. The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed with pretty much everything you need. Now the not-so-good part. The road noise is quite annoying, in part because the in-wall HVAC units are essentially open conduits to sound. Those HVAC units themselves are excessively loud (at least mine was). I had to turn it off for the night to get any sleep. Walls are fairly thin between the rooms. My neighbor left his TV on all night and I could hear it clearly. Bottom line- this is an OK stop to spend a brief night prior to catching an early morning plane.

    5
    « Great airport hotel »

Great airport hotel with shuttle bus every 30 mins. Friendly staff and we were given a fruit basket as a welcome for our honeymoon! It made all the difference for our first night in America :) We used the little fitness suite and enjoyed the massive breakfast! The on-site restaurant had tasty food & friendly staff. A little expensive, though ($60 for two drinks & two main courses).

    5
    « Great Airport Hotel »

Have stayed here twice now for early AM flights. The rooms are very spacious and have all the amenities you need. The restaurant and bar have a good selection of food and drinks. The free breakfast in the morning is the best I've ever had at a BW hotel. The shuttle to airport is very fast.

    5
    « Excellent choice »

Very nice hotel for the price and very clean and safe. I checked other hotel for our company event but selected BW because of location, cleanliness and pricing. They have a terrific staff ready to help you. I felt safe arriving at night at this hotel due to its location. I will recommend this hotel to others.

    4
    « Fast, efficient, no-nonsense hotel »

Except it was a little costly, the hotel was nothing short of an efficient, clean, comfortable hotel. If you need to catch an early flight, this is a great place to stay. Airport shuttle comes regularly (free but tips expected), front desk service is fast, room is large enough and comfortable.

    5
    « another great stay »

I said in my june review we would be back in October, well we have just enjoyed another great stay here, thanks to everyone for making our two nights so comfortable and enjoyable,we will be back next year

  • 3
« Decent place for short stay but a bit far from Downtown »

The hotel is near the airport but about an hour's drive to downtown. The breakfast was the standard continental fare and decent enough. The two elevators were a bit small small and busy at times stopping at too many floors. Other than that a decent value for the money.

    4
« wonderful stay at a nice clean hotel »

My partner and I rode on a motorcycle and it was cool and rainy. We were allowed early check in. We got an upgraded room by being in their rewards program The hotel was all newly remodeled, very clean, nice breakfast

    5
« Clean, comfortable, convenient, and friendly »

So much more than I expected. We just wanted somewhere to stay after our flight into SFO. The breakfast was great and the room comfy. Convenient location too. Our waiter at dinner was a real comedian and very helpful. The beds were very comfortable and fresh.

    5
    « Overnight stop »

We stayed at the Best Western for one night after arriving at San Francisco airport and prior to flying to Seattle the next morning. The Hotel is very near to the airport and a shuttle bus is available for convenience. We were greeted warmly at reception and check in was very efficient. Our room was large and well appointed with a very comfy bed - important after a long flight. We had a drink at the bar before retiring and again all the staff were very welcoming. After a great nights sleep we took advantage of the breakfast on offer as part of our booking which was perfectly adequate and plentiful, and used the hotel shuttle to travel back to the airport. A great option for an overnight stop.

    3
« Have stayed in better hotels »

For location to the airport you cannot fault this hotel, and there was a note left in the room explaining the improvements that they had made. But the hotel needs a it of a face lift. For a hotel with 9 floors and one out of the two elevators working it was an age waiting for it to arrive. Breakfast was good, and there was plenty of choice. The room we had (3rd floor) was on the front and the traffic noise from the road was quite loud. Bed was very comfortable, but on our last day there were no glasses left in our room by housekeeping. For the price paid it was an expensive hotel for the level of room paid for. San Francisco is expensive for hotels. but would not be staying here again if I visit SF again. I have stayed in a number of Best Western hotels all over the world and have to say this is probably one of the worst I have been to.

    4
    « Excellent BW Service »

After an 18 hour transit from Europe, we JUST missed our connection at SFO to our home (Boise). We had stayed at the Grosvenor in January 2016 on our way out of the Bay Area (and I am a BW Rewards member), so I called to see if we could get a room for the night. Mary at the front desk got my BW member # since I didn't have it, and upgraded our room. Our waiter in the restaurant also provided great service. So thanks to the Grosvenor staff for making a not-good travel experience into something a lot better.

    5
« A great hotel right near the San Fran airport! »

The location of this airport can't be beat for air travelers. You can see the airport from them hotel window! They have complimentary airport transfers every 1/2 hour which worked perfect for us. The place is clean and well kept up. The have a restaurant they serve lunch and dinner in and it also has a bar. This is the same place they serve their complimentary breakfast, which was very good! We stayed here 2 nights and would stay here again if in the area.

    5
    « Very Comfortable Hotel »

We stayed in this hotel for one night between flights. The room was very comfortable and had all the amenities you expect from a good quality hotel. A real plus for this hotel was that you could get a meal in the bar late at night. We arrived at the hotel at 9.30 and ordered our dinner at 10.00 pm. We have found in other hotels in the vicinity of the airport do not normally have the option of eating so late. The meal was excellent and the server was very friendly and helpful. The meal arrived very quickly which was just what we needed after a long flight. Breakfast was also included in the cost of the stay which was a bonus. Breakfast was good with good choices. Wifi was free. I definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

    5
« Five stars for being airport accessible, quiet and clean, with efficient staff. Outdoor Parking. E »

Stay here if you have a red-eye or early flight. It is a few miles from the airport and reception can handle early departures and late arrivals. I will stay again when I have an early flight. Rooms are clean and quiet. But book early - I was in town during a major tech conference and was lucky to have a room.

    5
« Front desk very efficient, morning shuttle to SFO very efficient also. »

Front desk very efficient, morning shuttle to SFO very efficient also. We will definitely use this hotel again when we need to fly out of SFO and park our car. Coffee was available at 5:00 am when we had to leave, which was very nice.

  • 4
    « Reliable Comfort »

I chose this hotel because of the proximity to SFO and the fact that there was a shuttle service provided . This was not my first time to stay at a Best Western , I have always been able to rely on the comfortable bed and the great pillows offered . Everything else is just window dressing as far as I am concerned .

    5
    « decent hotel »

hotel was nice clean near to airport. room was spacious bathrooms clean . dinning area big spacious. breakfast was good though could have more variety. only thing the staff can be more polite and courteous especially during the breakfast time. they were not very helpful . looked like they were in a hurry and rush. well if you have patience and not too bothered about the staff then you can enjoy your stay and enjoy the breakfast.

    5
« Great place to stay when travelling »

Hotel offers overnite parking while you are away flying out of town, recent renovations have vastly improved the facility. Best breakfast in any BW+ in the area. Airport shuttle available 20 hrs a day.

    5
    « Pleasant stay »

Spent two nights in San Francisco prior to our cruise. Facility was everything we needed. Front desk staff assisted us with getting a limo into the city. Restaurant food was delicious and service was great.

    5
    « cannot fault »

excellent location , very friendly staff, and a free shuttle to the airport, cannot complain about anything at this hotel would stay again and highly recommend it, the price excellent for the city it is in

    3
    « A Bargain for SF Travel »

We were planning a trip to visit friends and family in the SF area, but waited too long to book a hotel and discovered that our usual places were all full. After an extensive online search, we decided to try the Best Western on Bayshore. For anyone not familiar with San Francisco, Bayshore Blvd. is the surface street adjacent to the SF airport that is populated mostly by hotels and office buildings. Perhaps as a result, our hotel appeared to be largely occupied by international travelers who were in transit somewhere. We felt fortunate to have a room on the 7th floor as only one of the elevators seemed to be working (we passed lots of people on lower floors who were unable to get on our full elevator). Our room was very clean and quiet, except for the airport shuttle bus that insisted on honking its horn on one early morning. The hotel offers a full complimentary breakfast, complete with eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, cereal, fresh fruit, donuts, bagels and toast - far more than the usual Best Western fare. The hotel also had an adequate dining room with a full menu. This would be unusual in some hotels as there are typically a myriad of local restaurants to choose from nearby. However, in this location, virtually all of the restaurants are located within the hotels, presumably as travelers in transit do not have cars with which to reach a more distant location. We arrived with a car and one evening spent a considerable amount of time looking for store where we could buy a bottle of wine, only to discover that Bayshore Blvd. offered few retail options of any kind. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful no aside from the broken elevator, my only other complaint would be that we were charge a daily parking fee for a hotel with a large surface self-parking lot next to the hotel. I would stay at this hotel again, but anyone looking to stay here for the first needs to understand that Bayshore Blvd. is not a resort destination, but a convenient and clean base from which to visit the SF area.

    4
    « Good overall experience »

Great stay. Price per night escalated because of large EXPO in town. Would recommend this property for a business or casual stay. Keep up the cleanliness, and offer new things to customers. Update when you can to stay up with other properties in area.

    4
    « Very good hotel »

Room was as expected, furnished well and clean, could have done with a couple more coffee sachets though. The swimming pool does go into shade at midday and so can be cool. Meal at restaurant was excellent, bar staff and reception staff are attentive.

    5
« Great hotel at the end of a long flight »

Hotel facilities were very good, very clean and the staff very helpful, my luggage had not arrived at the airport and the staff could not be more supportive, either making calls or taking calls on my behalf or leaving memos with colleagues,

    5
    « Great! »

Everything was excellent except getting a shuttle to airport It took over an hour barely missed my plane. The driver either was not sure or just did not care Hotel staff excellent and lounge staff!!! Reception desk was waiting for us and quick check in.

  • 3
« Nice rooms well appointed, unfortunately room faced the highway and was very noisy. »

Convenient to the airport. Friendly professional staff. The noise from the Highway was very bad and significantly detracted from the quality of our stay. Asked for a room facing the opposite side of hotel was advised totally booked. I am highest rated Elite in BW program. Rather than accept a room facing the highway find another hotel.

    1
    « WAS A BEST WESTERN SUPPORTER »

An old not updated hotel with a very ordinary restaurant. Noisey. Leave lots of time for an elevator or you might miss your plane. Over priced. Sorry I can't think of anything good to say about this hotel. Very disappointing .

    4
    « Very nice hotel »

Very nice and cozy hotel...very nice and delicious breakfast! Big and comfortable rooms..! Only the window in the room was little broken and it was cold sometimes into the room but in general was very ok because there was a heat!

    5
    « Nice Stay »

Clean hotel, nice lobby and lounge area. Very pleasant staff. Great breakfast. Close to the airport- however it was not noisy. Bathrooms were a bit small. Staff was not familiar with how to choose a movie on demand.

    3
    « Vacation »

Comfortable bed spacious we had a two room suite front room had an odor. we left some items behind and have not had good luck with a response from management regarding this. I have called twice in 24 hours and no response sort of disappointed

    2
« It should call Motel »

Wow $280 for a Hotel which should call Motel and i got a special price. Regular price $325. Everything here is from the 70' without any improvement/ investment. You can not adjust the air conditioner ( old model) nor shut it off. And this one loud. I hope the eleveator will work/ hold on until i check out. You can reach the toilette almost from the Restroom entrance. When i ask the Bar service if there could pack my dinner left over, there brought me a empty box to pack it up by my self and brought me also the bill without asking if i may want desert or something else. Unbelievable.

    4
« Rescued at the last minute »

I was checked into another hotel that was crappy so I called up the Best Western as it was just down the street. They were able to accommodate me at the last minute and were very helpful and friendly when I arrived. Will definately stay there again when I travel to San Francisco.

    4
« Convenient Hotel To San Francisco International Airport »

Hotel is close to the San Francisco Airport which was convenient during our holiday as we had flights in and out of San Francisco on a couple of occasions. The room was neat and tidy and comfortable. A wide range of breakfast items available. Although the hotel is not new it was clean and tidy, would definitely stay here again.

    5
    « Great Stay »

Was on the 7th floor facing the front of the hotel did not hear the jet taking off good room location, great service at the Bar Happy Hour as well as the Dinner the free breakfast was a full menu more than normal

    5
    « San Francisco »

We had a great stay at the Best Western Plus Grosvenor. The bed was very comfortable, great breakfast. Staff was all excellent, especially Imelda Alipio! It was very easy and cheap to get the bus into San Francisco. Would definitely stay again. Only complaint is the room was very small.

  • 4
« Great Location and Breakfast »

This hotel is a basic Best Western with a great full continental breakfast with fruit, eggs, sausage, cereal, etc. The rooms are simple and is a good layover after a long flight in. There is an airport shuttle that comes by every 30 minutes(schedule is online) at ALL the terminals. We used the shuttle to get to the hotel(less than 10 minutes) and then used it the next morning to go back to the airport to get to the car rental garage. We saved a full day of car rental and the 7$ parking fee at the Best Western. Very efficient, friendly and convenient.

    5
    « Travel made easier »

I had stayed at this hotel about 10 years ago and was very unimpressed and only stayed again because of expediency. I was so surprised at the overall improvements. The receptionists, Mary and Bianca, were so exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The hotel used to be so dark and drab and is now light and airy. Our room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was very nice. The only negative was the water flow but I suspect that is a California thing. The airport shuttle picked us up very fast and the hotel is close to the airport. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back again after this good experience.

    4
« Good Airport Style Hotel »

Excellent helpful staff who got me into a room asap following arrival after long haul international flight. Any request dealt with promptly and with courtesy. Older type hotel however upkeep is maintained. Public areas clean. Rooms with up to date fittings and very clean. Shuttle drivers courteous and friendly.

    4
    « Nice »

I only stayed at this hotel for one night but found it was nice. The rooms were nice, although the bathroom was a little small. The complimentary breakfast was nicer than I've had at other best westerns. There is also a restaurant in the hotel, serving lovely food, which I found to be very convenient.

    4
« Nice inexpensive place to stay for a San Francisco convention »

i was always brought up to look for a decent return on the cost on the thing that you are purchasing so in regards to finding a good hotel for a convention, this hotel worked out well. It has a shuttle that can pick you up from the airport, has a restaurant on grounds, and is within a decent amount of time from downtown San Francisco. The price is much less than those downtown. Besides, I am the type of person who does not come back to the room until i want to go to sleep. With San Francisco being so close, why would you want to spend all of your time in the room? Even with that, the room was clean and comfortable. The bed was good. Even though there are 9 floors to the building, it did not feel crowded. The building itself is a bit old and it showed up in the elevator in that the decor was a bit worn, but it operated fine. So overall the location, amenities, and the free breakfast made this the ideal place for us to come to for a convention in San Francisco.

« Just the place after a long haul flight and US Immigration! »

We stayed overnight here at the start of our holiday in California. We arrived after a 10 hour long haul flight from London and over 2 hours queuing to get through immigration, getting to the car hire garage and renting our hire car. The hotel is easy to reach from the car rental garage at the airport (5-10 minutes)you cannot miss it. Look out for Sean at registration. I simply mentioned our flight and US immigration and he changed our room for a quieter one. He was so efficient! There is a parking fee of $7 per day, which we considered very reasonable. There is a great heated out door swimming pool. Our room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The coffee machine produced very drinkable tea and coffee. The bathroom was a little cramped but once again well equipped. The shower was hot with a decent water flow. Parts of the hotel are looking a little dated but there is evidence that refurbishment is underway. The bar was a fun place to be with a really good atmosphere. The barmaid was so down to earth at times it seemed like an English pub. The waitress (Lynda?) was just as friendly and between them gave the place a 'buzz'. It was good to be able to simply relax. There were free bar snacks available, which provided a nice touch. The bar prices were very reasonable. The restaurant and bar menu was simple but excellent value. We had a very comfortable sleep and were hardly aware of the aircraft! The free breakfast buffet the next morning was extensive with hot and cold items. Just what was needed to set you up for a day travelling or going to a business meeting. Check-out was just as efficient and Chris was engaging and offered advice on how to negotiate the freeways for the first leg of our holiday. Nothing was too much trouble. This really is a place to consider as a a stop over or as a base for the San Francisco peninsular.

« Overnight stay before an early flight out of SFO »

Rooms were spacious and clean, complimentary breakfast buffet, and fruit and coffee in the lobby at other times. Friendly check in, and easy shuttle ride to the airport the next morning. My daughter ordered a late night pizza from the bar and did not like it, however, in defense it was the last order of the night.

    « Another great night »

Flight arrived at SFO at 11.05PM. Off the plane at 11.15PM. Baggaged claimed at 11.43PM, shuttle picks up at 11.50PM....Not sure where it picks up, call the hotel...run upstairs and get to the pickup area. Shuttle picks us up at 11.51PM! To the hotel a few minutes later. Check in was quick and painless, only one person ahead of us in line. In the room shortly after and in bed by 12.20AM aka 3.20AM NYC time. Room was clean and large as we expected from previous visits. We got up at 6.30AM and grabbed some breakfast (free) in the lobby on our way back to the airport in the AM to pick up our rental car. All in all if you need a quick night near the airport this place is close.

    « Great Stay!!! »

My stay at the Best Western Plus Grosvenor Airport Hotel was an excellent business travel experience from the moment that I step through the door and was greeted kindly by the Front Office representative. The room that I was assigned was clean and well organized. The WiFi was good and did not cause me any issues. Overall I would recommend anyone staying in the South San Fran area, to consider this hotel for their future business accommodations.

« Nice hotel (very) close to the airport »

Stayed for one night after a flight from London. Very pleased with location, room size and comfort. Breakfast included which was nice. Plenty of restaurants nearby if needed. Quiet, comfortable, plenty of parking.

    « Labor day escapade »

Went on a getaway with close friends and family. Booked 2 rooms for our party of 8..they didnt have connecting rooms so they gave us 2 rooms beside each other. Room was okay--just right for 4 people. Rooms have coffeemaker and small fridge, no microwave..i find the bathtub small though...it would be too tight for big and tall people. Bedsheets were clean and carpet vacuumed. Generous with blankets. Hot breakfast from 6am-10am was excellent---different hot dish each day. Lots of options for kids and adults. Coffee, fruits and water avail in the lobby all day.

« Pricey for basic stay »

For 200 a night this is a very basic hotel. Breakfast was included and it was fine. Very close to the airport and that is why we chose this location. I would have rather spent a little more money and upgraded to a nice hotel chain.

    « Excellent airport hotel »

For what it is, ie a hotel close to the airport, this hotel is top notch. We were on the 9 floor, room good size, clean, and bed very comfy. The staff were very helpful and the food at breakfast great. Lots of choice and well presented. The lady at the bar was lovely and made excellent bloody Mary's.. Probably not a feat long stay hotel as there's really nothing close by but as a transit hotel with free airport shuttle it's A+

« Best Hotel in San Francisco Bay Area »

This hotel is the best hotel to stay in. Though I have many hotels to go to, I always stay at this hotel because the front staff desk staff care for you and your stay,. Also parking is only so many dollars Vs $40-$50 Dollars if you stay in the city. You are only 20 minutes from Downtown San Francisco. The rooms are very comfortable and relaxing. Plus after a good night sleep they offer free breakfast in the morning.

« Good choice for overnight stay near SFO »

I needed a place to stay for a quick overnight near SFO between flights (I checked in at 9pm, checked out at 7am the next morning) & reserved a couple days in advance after spotting a 70% discount on the room - a great bargain! But I would probably have chosen this hotel anyway. Shows some wear & tear in places, but a decent, clean place with polite staff. A very good breakfast buffet included with the price of the room, airport shuttle starts at 4am. Overall very good value for money.

« Ok for what it is »

We wanted to stay near the airport and we were surprised how expensive the accommodation in San Francisco is so we choose best western as it was one of the cheaper hotels. It was clean and functional and okay for a short stay. We didn't eat at the restaurant so we can't provide feedback on the food. The nice touch is that you can print your boarding passes out in the lobby.

    « close to airport nice&clean »

slept here for two nights.we were two adults and one child. we got a very nice suit with a separate room for us. close to airport and not far away from the city. big comfortable rooms. great breakfast. only minus is the internet did not work at all in the rooms.

    2
« Not worth the money »

Over priced, rooms are small. Has a diamond rating but don't know why. Good location for airport but so are other hotels that cost less and treat you better. Resturant good food but wait staff rude could carless you are there. they make you feel as if you are an inconvienance.

« Overnight stay on the way back to Houston »

Very great value for the price. Close to SFO and modern, clean, friendly, very good comp. Breakfast, spacious room with desk and sitting area. Use AAA disc. and was under $100 for a Sunday night stay. Booked on-line at Bestwestern.com

    « Comfortable Visit »

The hotel is very nice and quite busy. The rooms are very comfortable and well decorated. The beds were very comfortable! Breakfast was tasty, with a lot of options. Other than a bit of a line at check in the process was smooth and easy.

« Best Western Plus San Francisco Airport »

vey nice room. Spacious with 2 queen beds. Also, the restaurant / bar off the entrance was very nice as well. Several TV's. Good breakfast as well. Eggs bacon and sausage, bagels, yogurt and coffee. Very convenient to the airport, 5 minutes away

    « Would give this one 2 1/2 stars »

We stayed here one night. The checkin clerk wasn't very friendly or helpful. The room was very run down, and was in need of some updates. For example, dirty/cracked grout throughout the bathroom, extremely low shower head (I'm only 5'5 and had to duck to get my head wet) ith almost no water pressure, cracks in sink, worn spots in carpet, etc. On the plus side, the breakfast was really good with lots of choices. We've stayed at many Best Western's, and this one was the most expensive with the worst room and service. would not stay here again.

    3
« One Night Stay on Our way through. »

The service here is very good, We dealt with Sean at the desk and he was very accommodating with our early Check in, we left our bags in their custody and left in a Hotel friendly Limo Service to Downtown San Francisco, The Hotel itself must be one of the older ones here, it is clean and does have class, it could use some upgrading as the window in our room would not close, The road noise is there but after a long flight it is easy to sleep, Breakfast is complimentary.

« A place to stay before flying out early in the morning »

Very convent location to the rental car return center and SFO. You have to pay for parking which is not the case with other Best Westerns I have stayed in. Common areas in the Hotel are looking a little worn out and the hall carpets could use a cleaning. I did not have a chance to eat breakfast at this hotel as I had to be at the Airport by 0530, but they did have a paper bag with a bagel, apple and orange juice for to take away, which was nice.

    « Great Mini Vc »

front desk employees are awesome, fast service and very friendly our breakfast wast great, lots of verity for adult and kids room service did great, when we came back in our room all cleaned and towels are all new

    « Excellent experience »

We stayed here before an early morning flight from SFO. The room was large and clean. The front desk staff was friendly. And the price was very good, particularly compared to the big chains on the Millbrae side of the airport. Breakfast is included, and we really appreciated the to-go option for early departures.

    « An Expensive Waste »

The biggest problem I had was with the service behind the counter. They could use some work. Every single time I went to ask for help at the counter, I had to expect to wait at least 15minutesbefore getting any help, even when it was help with cleaning up spilled food on the floor. Got o frustrated with them that I just left the mess for them to deal with. Also, if you do a sleep and park, make sure to use the park for as long as possible. Otherwise, it is much cheaper to just pay an extra nightly fee to park your car. I do have to say the bed we got was supper soft and comfortable and even though we were right across from the elevator, we weren't disrupted as much as I thought we might be by any noise in the halls.

    « Old. Very old. »

We stayed at this hotel as so many people do for one night before a flight out in the AM. It is a perfect location which is why it is probably still in business. The hotel is old and in dire need of repairs. Yes, some of the carpeting appeared to be new and was quite lovely. But the bathroom was a mix of attempts at modernizing and very old chipped/gross tile in the shower. The bathroom fan which went on whenever you turned the light on was so loud it made you deaf after a while. But the best noise was from the window. I though a fan was running. It was just air coming in at the edge of the window. We could move the frame of the window about 1/4 " and tried to stuff it to keep out the noise. It was very loud, to say the least. The good news is that all of the reception desk staff and the evening wait staff were very polite and helpful. We ate our dinner in the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the great service. Breakfast was a bit chaotic as the staff could not keep up with clearing tables and we had to move into the bar area.

    4
    « Very good breakfast »

Hotel is little old but clean, the bed is comfortable. The airport shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes. There is McDonald across street, but don't go there. Cosco is a few hundred feet from McDonald. The food is much better there. The free breakfast is one of the best, real eggs, OJ taste like OJ, even the coffee is good. There is computer in the lobby that you can print your the boarding pass.

« Just what we needed »

we can into town for a wedding and vacation. Originally we were staying in Napa and coming back into SF for the ceremony but family advised that would not be wise, so we adjusted our Napa reservation and booked the BW Grosvenor, it worked out perfectly. The place was very nice, clean and the staff was friendly.

« Hotel made it easy to return car /catch flight »

I chose this hotel mainly for proximity to airport, free shuttle, breakfast included, boarding pass printing function and check-in and price. Rooms were overall nice, clean and comfortable but not state of the art decorated/bathroom dated but didnt matter to us Front desk clerk at the time was top notch helpful, knowledgeable about everything, efficient, kind Shuttle worked out well to/from airport-had to drop off rental car the night before and whole process was easy and quick and free transport on shuttle and air train at airport

    4
« Great hotel near the airport »

Really close to the airport and with free airport shuttles. Its a great deal gor the value the rooms are big and clean There is a bar in the first floor wirh really nice food and drinks. The service at the bar/restaurant is incredible and make you feel comfortable

« Very nice hotel and pleasant, helpful staff. »

This is a very convenient place to stay near SFO. The outside could use a little sprucing up but the lobby and the rooms were very clean and nice. The staff was very professional and well dressed (which is not always the case in hotels lately). We would definitely stay here again.

    5
    « convenient-close to airport, great staff!! »

Friendly staff, free transportation to the air port, great breakfast...clean and comfortable rooms. For me this hotel was the best value and in the area I needed to be in. I will recommend this hotel to friends and family for future referral. Mahalo!!

    « Needs refurbished »

Outside appearance looks worn out. Same applies to the hotel rooms. Also the rooms did not appear as clean as one would expect of a hotel in this price range. Conveniently close to SFO airport with free airport shuttle (which was the reason for our one night stay). In summary I found it overpriced.

    5
    « An all-in-one experience »

The location was convenient and the price was good. The room was very clean and service at all points of contact was efficient and friendly. The highlight, however, was the breakfast staff. In particular, Art (according to his name tag) was just a joy. He embodied what is fun about traveling: meeting someone who is cheerful, friendly, fun to be around, and very welcoming. He makes it feel as if it is our home away from home and he is our host. We are looking forward to going back next Monday evening--and having Art there to host our breakfast--when we need an airport-convenient place to stay.

« Friendly hotel. Close to airport. »

Close to airport. Friendly staff. A little dates but clean. This BW had a great breakfast with fresh fruit, Activia yoghurt, real boiled eggs, real fresh scrambled eggs and sausages, potatoes that was not out of a packet, and hot beverages. Of course breakfast included the bagels and waffles and baked goods stuff which I don't eat. For dinner we had the brass elephant Caesar salad which was pretty good. And a nice big hearty serve too. Big car park and you get a sign for the car. No room safe but can use safes in reception. If you lose the safe key there's a $250 fine. Taxes are quite high in California. Our hotel bill for 3 nights incurred $130 in taxes.

« Friendly staff, convenient, expensive »

A great little hotel that is convenient to the local conference center and to the airport. As everyone mentions, the hotel is a bit outdated and the elevators move a little slow, but the hotel is well-maintained and very clean. I had some glitches with restocking of the room on the final night -- weirdly, they took all of my soap and also only gave me shampoo and conditioner. Not a big deal, but also not good attention to detail. Because of the drought they ask you not to change your linens, something I appreciate, though you can request a change if you need it. Water is available in vending machines or fruit-infused in the lobby. There is a gas station down the street if you need other amenities. They serve a fairly comprehensive hot breakfast in the morning. I found it so nice that the person checking me in had recognized me by the second day and memorized my room by the third day. The breakfast always had scrambled eggs, a potato of some kind, and a meat. They have fruits, yogurts, variety of cereals, breads - bagels, donuts, and others. Coffee/tea machine, juice machine, all good. All staff were friendly and helpful when asked, though I wasn't in need for a lot. The hotel was extremely pricey due to some events in the area. And had I been the one paying instead of work, I would have said that it was too pricey.

    5
    « Had a nice stay here. »

I had a two week stay at this hotel. The breakfast buffet is fantastic! The rooms are a little old, but never the less, they were always clean and comfortable. We never had a problem with noise, other than hearing traffic on the busy road outside, but this never bothered me. The airport shuttle is convenient not only for getting to and from the hotel, but to catch the nearest BART Train for transportation. Evening restaurant was good and servers were friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

    5
« Convenient location and great staff! »

We flew into San Francisco, picked up the rental car and drove the short distance to this hotel. Location was perfect for easy highway on and off to get everywhere we wanted to go. The hotel stay includes breakfast and a offers a nice restaurant for late night snacks. Outdoor pool. We'd definitely stay here again.

    4
    « Close to AirPort. »

Older but well maintained hotel. Nice rooms. Outdoor pool. Good breakfast. There is a parking fee. Noisy in the hotel. The hotel is a few minutes from the AirPort rental car return. There are some fast Food restaurants close.

    4
    « Overnight stay »

This is a good hotel for business travelers or if you need quick access to the airport. There is a free airport shuttle and the staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed here because it was so close to the airport and had a very early flight. We didn't try the restaurant so I can't comment on that. We didn't find too many amenities but it is a modern and clean facility.

    4
« Great place to stay »

This was our 2nd time staying at the Grosvenor. It's close to the airport and an easy drive into downtown San Fran. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is very good with lots of places to sit. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable.

« Beds too High for the ADA wheelchair bound »

My stay with my family was great with only 1 problem. The Beds were too high, perfect for my husband and kids, but not for me. It became an annoyance to have assistance every time I wanted to Relax on the bed. The beds should also be low enough or of standard height for an ADA accessible room. Can this be corrected by asking to remove the box spring on one of the beds next time we book? Or is there any other suggestions? Overall, my stay was great.

« In SF for sightseeing with my daughter »

This hotel staff made us feel at home, from the minute we walked up to the desk to check in. Being from out of town and never to SF, the young man at the desk suggested transportation and areas to see. The rooms were clean, spacious, and the free breakfast was very good as well. Parking was included which was nice. Would definately stay there again.

    4
« Good value for the money »

The hotel was quite comfortableand had all the amenities I needed. It even had a shuttle pick-up from airport. Convenient location for south San Francisco. I had no complaints at all. The staff were polite and professional.

« Excellent Service and People »

My entire family and I enjoyed staying with Best Western's family of hotel. There's no other place, other than home, we love to stay in for traveling needs. Thank you. We were welcomed from check in to check out. The continental breakfast was delicious and nutritious. When traveling with kids, your chain of hotels is very accommodating. We all love the food and fun facilities your hotel has to offer. I love the convenience of fast check in and out and customer services.

« Make this your First Choice »

We tried a hotel closer to the Pacific Heights area which was our final destination. It was a disaster! Changed to the Best Western Grosvenor. It was well worth the extra travel time! Comfortable beds, clean, good service, nice atmosphere, nice breakfast buffet with plenty of choices. Bianca at the desk provided excellent service helping us find rooms that met our needs - both price range and comfort. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

    « One night »

Shuttle from airport: The wait was long (45 minutes). The driver was rude. Most drivers like a tip this gentleman expected a tip to the point he reminded me. The front desk staff was wonderful. She was very helpful in telling us where we could find a place to eat, the movies and stores. The double room was small. The beds were comfortable. It was a little run down but maintained. We had an issue with the sink and they were there in a few minutes. However, we called down for tea bags, they never arrived. The hotel appears to be a setup for large group bus tours. So you may experience a few guest that don't understand how you use their inside voice. The breakfast you get with the room is fabulous. Bagels, toast, eggs, sausage, waffles.... Do not call it a continental breakfast the restaurant staff gets upset. The goofood was good. Overall this hotel is perfect for one/two nights. To far from downtown to be functional but a great hotel for a lay over.

    « Enjoyed My Stay »

Would stay here again. Room was a little small, one king size bed.Have had smaller rooms. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast buffet was good. Shuttle to the airport was on time and FREE. Staff were helpful. The in house restaurant "Brass Elephant" was busy but service was quick. For a San Francisco area restaurant the prices were reasonable.

    « Good overnight hotel »

Decided to stay here after arriving late from Hawaii . And Then travel to San Francisco the next day. Very good hotel, shuttle service from airport. Clean , comfortable beds, good breakfast. Good service. Good value for money. Close to airport.

    « Very Accomadating »

This hotel is very accomadating and willing to meet any needs that you may have. Me and my wife ended up having to stay within the San Francisco are for medical reasons. The staff went out of there way to make the extended stay vey comfortable at an excellent price. From breakfast to the internet to comfort of the room, we have no complaints and recommend for all needs. Short distance to the city.

    4
« Economical and clean near airport. »

Economical and clean. no thrills. I was pleased that they had an onsite lounge and restaurant though. The gym was also nicer than I expected. I rarely stay at Best WEsterns but this was the most reasonably priced hotel in the area when I booked. I was pleasantly surprised.

« Great Hotel Close To Airport »

Great choice for hotel close to SFO. Hotel provides free shuttle bus to/from (picks up 2 other hotels as well). Large hotel with an excellent hot and cold buffet breakfast included. Room was large king, very comfortable with an air conditioner which could be regulated. Free wi-fi was great. Staff and meals at the restaurant were excellent.

    4
    « Great stay »

I would rate this hotel an Excellent-except for the pay for parking-which made no sense considering where it is located. The complementary Breakfast was outstanding-the free wi-fi and business center was unexpected and very good. The hotel is very close to a district called Grand Ave ( we stumbled on) which is downtown South San Francisico. I would recommend to anyone looking for something in the immeadiate area. Quaint shopping/restruant area.

    5
    « No complaints »

After staying in National Parks it was a welcome change to have a real hotel (with fast wi-fi) and a great breakfast. The breakfast was really good, nice variety, clean area and plenty of room to sit and eat. Good location near the airport and not far from downtown. Would recommend.

    « Exceeded my expectations »

We flew in late at night and wanted a place to stay near the airport. We were happy to be able to get the free shuttle from the airport. The room was spacious and pleasant. We got a good nights sleep. The gym was pretty minimal, but I was glad to have a place to work out. The breakfast area was pleasant and the food was decent. Biggest problem was the noise from the highway, but it didn't keep us from sleeping

    5
« Very good SFO airport option »

This hotel is always a good choice for an overnight near SFO. Rates are better than others, rooms and breakfast good. Shuttle (shared with other hotels) is efficient. The staff, though, really shines. They are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

    4
    « Delightful stay »

This hotel is an excellent value and close to the airport. They provide convenient shuttle service between the hotel and the airport, which we needed because we had to drop our car off before checking into the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable and the guest manual was one of the best we have seen. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and it was very good. Ty provided the best service, as if we were in a 5 star restaurant, and the food was delicious. The bar is cozy and they have a happy hour between 5 and 7 pm. We had their breakfast buffet the next morning and it was exceptional. We can highly recommend this hotel.

    3
    « Where's the Air? »

Although the hotel was older, they kept it very clean and had very comfortable beds. We only had one issue and that was the cooling system. It appears we had no air our entire stay of 2 nights. The first night went unnoticed because it was nice and cool outside, but the next morning it began to warm to 80 in the room. I alerted the hotel staff and let them know we would be gone for the day and they could get it fixed while we were gone. It was not fixed when we returned late evening. They sent maintenance, but she didn't know what to do and offered us a different room. We had too much stuff to move, so we just stuck it out. They did overlook our parking fee which did not exist when I booked the place. A whole 14.00.

« HR Star Conference Stay »

Pretty decent hotel. The cable tv was somewhat limited. Not much food options around. Friendly and prompt service. Free airport shuttle is a plus. Was able to storage my luggage and pick it up after my conference. Good hot breakfast options.

    « Amazing Hotel »

This hotel is amazing. The staff to me is the best staff from all the hotels I have stayed in during my travels.. They greet you with a smile and make sure your visit was great and they make sure if you have a issue they take care of it right there and then. The location is only Twenty minutes from Downtown San Francisco. Parking here is at a great price as well. I will always stay at this hotel. The beds here are just not THE BEST but after my first stay here I went out and bought the same kind of bed due to how comfortable the beds are.

« Great Hotel Near the Airport »

This hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the airport which runs at regular intervals throughout the day. There is also free parking and a wonderful free hot breakfast. The hotel itself has nine floors. We ended up with a fabulous suite on the 9th floor that was incredibly spacious and had two bathrooms. It would be a great place for a family!

« Affordable, reasonable and only 12 minutes to the beach »

We recently stayed here with our 2 grandchildren for the 4th of July Holiday. It was great because of the following; free full breakfast in the morning, very reasonable rates for the area, only 12 minutes to the beaches in Pacifica, a short 22 minute drive to tourist sites without all the traffic, such as the Golden Gate Bridge and Presidio. The rooms were clean, the front desk and staff were helpful and friendly. It was very convenient to family in Daly City. Located on the South side of Sanfrancisco, it was easy to take hwy 1 to Santa Cruz and like I said with little or no traffic. This was a plus in our minds.

    4
« Perfect for park and fly »

This hotel works for park and fly. It is clean, friendly, and comfortable. We have stayed here a few times over the years. The restaurant is just ok, and breakfast is doable for a quick bite o see you off. There is a Starbucks near, for a much better quick cup of coffee.

    4
    « Great Stay! »

I just stayed here one night to catch an early flight out of SFO. Staff was great, room was nice. Free wifi! Happy hour at the restaurant with good food and service. Standard restaurant / bar food - I got a club sandwich and 2 glasses of wine and enjoyed. Service was great as well. Free papers, water and coffee and the lobby. I left to early to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. FREE SHUTTLE to the airport with printed schedules at the front desk. There's a small mall close to this hotel as well with a target, Barnes and nobles other ships and a few places to eat. I took an uber there and back with ease. I will stay here again.

« 2 nights at the Best Western »

Our stay was ok, however when we landed, the shuttle was late and we waited for over 40 mins and it was frustrating to see other hotels coming repeatedly before ours finally arrived. Check in/out was superb! The bar was nice but the breakfast which was included and till 10 am was lifted at 09:59 and in 5 mins almost the entire buffet had disappeared as if it was a race to ensure you wouldn't have a second helping- that left a bad taste -there should be a 10 mins period after which food can be lifted....rooms are ok, except the bathrooms which are very basic. Amenities lack a safe which is essential in most basic hotels today.

« Great Stay at SFO »

Great front desk staff that accommodated my every need. Try to get a room away from the highway for less noise. Comfortable bed and the room was immaculate. Did not try the restaurant but it was continually busy. Free Airport Shuttle twice and hour to SFO was great!

    « Convenient family hotel »

Nice hotel, great staff, clean rooms and convenient to Lassan Volcanic National Park. The breakfast is really bad - cold egg patties, soggy sausage patties, long wait for the waffle maker or toaster - not up to the standards of the rest of the hotel. If you like breakfast plan to eat elsewhere.

    « Nice clean hotel »

We stopped in San Friscisco for some siteseeing to the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf and wanted to get away from the crowds afterwards so this BW location wasn't far away and fit the bill. The price was right, the bed comfortable, it was quiet and clean. The pool was refreshing and we didn't mind the planes flying overhead. We also had our dinner in the hotel restaurant and enjoyed the atmosphere

    « A Nice Stay Overall »

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Plus Grosvenor. Although I have a few criticisms that I will address at the end of my review, there weren't enough of them to justify dropping it's rating to a 3 in my opinion. The location of this hotel is very convenient if you plan on driving into San Francisco. It's located right off the 101, and depending on what time of the day you are making your drive, it should take you about 20-30 minutes to arrive Downtown. There is ample parking, the employees that I encountered were friendly, and the hotel was clean enough. The free breakfast was wonderful! There was a huge selection and they use real plates, glasses, and silverware. The cost is definitely not "cheap," but San Francisco is an expensive city. I was also caught off guard by the $7 daily parking fee (somehow I missed this notification during the reservation process). The tub in the room didn't drain properly and I was standing in a small pool of water by the end of my short 7 minute shower. I also found a quite disgusting booger on the shower curtain that I'm positive would have come off had the curtain been washed thoroughly. Lastly, the rooms are small and a little dated. You could definitely do a lot worse than this Best Western, but it's not without a some flaws. It's got some age to it and could use some "sprucing up." I'd probably give it a 3 1/2 stars if that were a possibility. Although I'd return to this property if I find myself in the Bay Area again, I would also probably shop around at least a little bit next time to see what other options are available.

we have stayed here twice a year on our biannual motorcycle trip for the past 12 years and as allways enjoy the excellent service provided by the staff on front desk, bar and restaurant and the personal service from the manager (david) who oversees our booking,we have already booked our September trip and would not even consider anywhere else but the BW Grosvenor

« One Night in So San Francisco »

I can always count on BW for cleanliness and consistency. I loved, loved, loved the mattress. Great nights sleep, full on breakfast was great and the location was perfect for the event I attended at the conference center. Quiet surroundings even though our room was directly across from the elevator. Wish I could have spent more time in the city by the bay.

Everyone was happy to see us, pleasant and they offer a free shuttle to the airport. Their breakfast buffet was free as I'm a member and it was great!!! You can make belgian waffles, eggs were fluffy and they also offered nice pastries. Thank you!

    « Finally a good night sleep! »

When one is on the road for business, you need a good night sleep. To get this you need a GREAT bed, a clean comfortable room and a quiet night. I am grateful to have ended up here at Best Western Plus Grosvenor upon my return travels...I was exhausted after a long layover across the country and you delivered what I needed!

« Great Location for Overnight Airport Transit Stay but Very Tired Hotel »

Very tired bedlinens and towels. Room not very clean. No sense of any luxury, a real no frills experience in the bedrooms. Chaotic self-service breakfast. Tables were left dirty. You even have to make your own coffee. We requested a quiet room away from noise and ended up beside the buzzing drinks and ice machine and the elevators! But the staff we encountered were helpful and the free airport shuttle was great.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and loved it! The rooms are of good size. The building and grounds are immaculately well kept. The reception staff are super nice and efficient. The breakfast has many options and is very tasty!! Also, the location is unbeatable for vsiting San Francisco and regional sites....well situated near the highway and San Francisco airport(maybe 2 miles).

« A good hotel located at near The SF Airport (edited) »

It was my first time experience to arrive at SF airport. I had none previous stay at any hotel near the airport. So it was my first time to stay at this hotel. It took about 5-10 minutes from the airport shuttle area (departure area). There was free shuttle to and from the airport every 20-30 minutes. I arrived at 1-2 PM at the hotel and nicely welcomed by the frontdesk staff who helped us with the 'fast' check in process. They served complimentary drinks and foods at the lobby. Our room was modern and clean, not too spacious but enough for us, the bathroom was clean With bathtub. Non smoking area. Standard amenities, but the Free wifi was the major point for travelers (like this!), and big TV display in my room though somehow it took seconds to turn it on. Breakfast was standard, but they did serve steamed rice (additional point for Asian guests), McD was just across the hotel, not too busy environment. Car rentals were close to the hotel. Parking fee was 7 USD per day (although should consider lower fee or free for hotel guests). Overall, I enjoyed my short stay and if I need nearby airport hotel, I will consider to stay in this hotel again.

« Simple, no whistles, wonderful breakfast, helpful front desk staff and bellman »

In town with wife for vacation, Hotel was sold out and overwhelmed, but managed to keep its head above water. Room are sufficient, A/C blows cold, digital TV had some issues but nothing major. Breakfast was wonderful, When they would run out of something hot, they would just replace it with something else. Variety was well received, including make your own waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, cold cereal. Staff was helpful, and when something ran out, they were quick to finish up with something to replace it with. Not bells and whistles, but efficient, staff was very helpful. All in all, a nice quiet place to stay with a full restaurant on property.

« Good Value For Area »

This was a little older hotel that could use some updating but they gave good customer service and it was a very good value, especially for the area. They had a delicious free breakfast buffet. I'd be happy to return!

    « Great transitional place! »

We live in Northern California, when we have to fly out of SFO, we stay at the Grosvenor. We travel down late, stay the night and take a very early morning flight, we can leave the car for a great price and when we return we catch the shuttle, get the car and home we go!

« Good Value of Money »

Location is good and with free shuttle bus, just 15-20 mins to the SFO airport. Food is nice in The Brass Elephant restaurant. Staffs are nice and helpful. Free fruit and drink in the lobby, there are See's candy store and McDonald's next door.

« Excellent out of San Fran hotel with transport links »

Wanted a hotel near enough to San Francisco but not at San Francisco prices and this hotel is excellent in many ways. Staff friendly and polite on both check in and check out. Booked a suite as travelling with husband, teenage daughter and her boyfriend and room comfortable for all of us and kids could have their privacy. Breakfast can be a bit crowded in the morning however big bonus is this hotel has a restaurant. Ate in it for two nights of our three night stay. Food reasonably priced, delicious and large international selection on menu. As an example I had curried prawns the one night and it was an authentic Indian curry. Husband had salmon and kids burger and steak. Service in the restaurant provided by John and Linda was excellent. Good transport links into city. Took bus 292 the one day from stop opposite hotel into city for $2.25 (out of city $4). If you don't have correct change you get a credit ticket as change for next journey. Had taxi back from city as it was night time and this cost $45 for four. Tanforan shopping mall nearby and a couple of minutes drive away. BART station next to shopping centre with parking. Husband went into city on BART while the kids and I did some shopping.

« Quiet, clean hotel. Good breakfast. »

I spend 12 days on April 2016, I stayed at the queen suite. The room was clean (the room was cleaned every day), and I really enjoyed the fact that there are 2 rooms at the suite. The breakfast was great, I surprised to find a lot of vegetables and fruits. The self service laundry is a great solution. The wifi was pretty poor in the suite.

« Great place to stay that is not far from downtown »

Upon arriving the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The parking situation was good as there were plenty of parking spaces available even if you arrived late at night, however, you would have walk a bit to the front entrance though. The room looked and smelled good. The carpet and floor bathroom tile looked clean, beds were comfortable, plenty of soft pillows, great water pressure for the toilet, sink and tub. There were not as many wall outlets to use. The television worked good and the mini-fridge, microwave and black-out curtains were a nice touch. Daily maid service was wonderful. The free breakfast near the front lobby was delicious. It consisted of hard-broiled eggs, cereal, milk, juice, bread, bagels, donuts, muffins, yogurt, fruit, scrambled eggs, sausages, fried potatoes and a station to make your own waffle. I have to give special attention to the night front desk individual who helped me with my luggage. I lost my keys for my locked luggage and had him cut the lock so I could get in it. He took the time to go into the back maintenance room, find a tool, come back out and open my luggage at the check-in desk. Thank you to him and management for allowing the front desk personal to help their guests in that way. I would give this hotel 4 and a half marks out of 5 only because we were close to ground level and could hear traffic and people talking below late at night on multiple nights.

« Best Western delivers again »

Traveled as a couple in April-May and used this hotel after arriving at the SFO airport, which is a very short drive from here. We really enjoyed our stay and found that it was everyhting that we could expect from a Best Western property: clean, spacious room, good wifi, big flat screen tv, updated property, ... . You will have some noise from the nearby airport (obviously), but it's not really a nuisance. We were a bit disappointed/surprised by the $7 surcharge for overnight parking as it wasn't mentioned when we booked (which we did through hotels.com), but overall the price was good. We paid about $ 100. They have a restaurant on site (but there are plenty of other options nearby) and also a conference room. There's an extensive and tasty breakfast included in your stay. They also have an outdoor swimming pool but it was too cold for that. Reception desk was very friendly too. Best Western has always come through, and this time was no exception.

« Absolutely the best to stay for catching late night flight out of San Francisco (SFO) »

We were glad to have found this gem of a hotel that allowed us to have a late checkout at 6pm (normally 12 noon) at an additional USD55 plus taxes, over and above the overnight tariff. We wanted the late checkout because our flight back to home country Australia was close to midnight and we didn't want to wonder around at SFO aimlessly from normal hotel checkout time to flight check-in time for our homeward bound flight. The room was clean, the beds and pillows were absolutely comfortable and the breakfast included in the tariff was one of the best we had for our 3-week vacation in USA. The fee for parking our hired car was a low of USD7 plus taxes. Dining was not a problem at all because the hotel has a restaurant and nearby was an American diner iHOP that served good meals at reasonable prices. The hotel is truly a PLUS for the Best Western Brand of hotels.

« Close to the Airport! »

We stayed two nights to enjoy San Fransisco on our way farther north. The room was well kept, a/c unit was not loud, breakfast was good. The only issue we had was the parking area and in all honesty it was that bad. Using the Grosvenor as a base made getting around pretty easy too. overall we enjoyed our visit.

    « Meets your needs »

Nice hotel that meets your needs (continental breakfast, fitness center, comfortable beds, friendly staff, clean). Close to SFO airport with shuttle access to the Bart transportation system. Close to freeway so be aware of some noise at night (keep fan on and you won't hear it).

    « AMAZING HOTEL »

This hotel is the Best Hotel to stay at in the San Francisco Area. The Staff is friendly, the rooms are very clean, the parking is only $7.00 Dollars a Night Vs $40 to $50 a night in the San Francisco, It is very easy to get to and from this hotel to San Francisco or any part San Mateo County. Only minutes away from San Francisco Airport.

« Convenient and Excellent Buffet Breakfast Included »

« The staff was very accomodating and the facilities in good repair. »

The restaurant was excellent. Dinner was very nice and the morning breakfast was great too. We arrived early for a memorial service and were allowed to check in at 10:45. Worked out great, able to freshen up and make the memorial service. I would recommend this site to anyone. Only issue was the TV did not pick up channels other than movies to purchase and infomercials. Otherwise all was great!

    « Would stay again »

Hotel was clean, hot breakfast offered daily, free shuttles to and from the airport ran every half hour, to go breakfast packed for us to take with us for our early departure. Very easy to catch the Bart into the city as the free shuttle will drop you off and pick you up right at the Bart station in the airport. You can also catch a bus a short distance from the hotel. The staff had printed instructions available at the desk on how to take the bus or the Bart. Overall pleasant experience.

    « Nice airport hotel! »

We have stayed here 2 x 1 night (before and after our motorhome vacation). The rooms were nice, the complimentary beakfast was great and the staff helpful. We took the bus (across the street, line 292) to downtown San Francsico. And we have rented a car at the airport for driving around. During our stay the airport shuttle was never on time and the bathroom is very small. Overall, we would recommend this hotel as a nice airport hotel on a central location.

    4
« Would stay here again »

The rooms were well appointed, bed was VERY comfortable, staff friendly. Hot choices for breakfast. Go early rather than later for breakfast, fills up quickly. Location was great for us, we easily made it to AT&T Stadium, good food choices near by.

    « Basic hotel »

We stayed in this hotel for one night coming back from Kona, Hawaii. We arrived around 10:00PM and the shuttle although a little late from the time we were told, it did arrive at the airport to pick us up. This hotel is convenient for the fact it is very close to the airport and has a shuttle that departs often. Now, the reason why I gave it a 3 star... we had booked a king and had the reservation made several months ahead. When we arrived the clerk was pleasant but did not tell us that the room she actually gave us had a queen size bed and was extremely small and in corner. I called downstairs asking what happened to my king size room and she said they were sold out. She then told me she could offer me a room with two beds and I decided to go with that. When we went to that room I noticed it had two double beds and not two queens. Number one, it would have been nice if the front desk person would have told us at time of check in she was not giving us a king size bed and given us choices and number two she should have explained that the two beds were not queen. The room was much larger than the one with the queen size and we were too tired to change rooms again, but we did not sleep comfortably because of the bed size. The window did face the highway but the noise did not bother us because we live in a downtown highrise so we are used to it. However, the window did not close properly and needed maintenance. The hotel itself has that older, dingy look, but if I would have gotten a king size bed I would have probably being ok. The lobby and frond desk was nicely done and remodeled. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. The price was good for the area and they did give us a government employee discount. I just wish we could have had the room we booked or a discount for the room we got.

« Deserves 4 star w breakfast included if you book way in advance »

Comfortable stay on 2nd level but you over an ugly slab of concrete. But if you are not spending much time in room, the lack of view does not matter. Almost daily rotation of front desk except Pinoy lady whom gives local tips to guests whom seek such. Another plus of staying here is if you don't like to dine, Mc Donald is cross the road ! The shuttle is quite regular on the hour and half hour so you don t waste much time waiting. With the many great reviews, they are bound to bump up their tariffs but there is always Holiday Inn across the road to give them competition. For my return trip 2 weeks later price went up from 130 (far advance booking ) to $250 !

    « Nice, convenient stay »

Great overnight stay at this hotel, just minutes from the airport. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with my questions. The room was large and comfortable and the bed was ultra comfy. Got my wake-up call as asked. Didn't eat at the restaurant but it looked decent. The only reason I didn't give this hotel a higher ranking is because of the door slamming (which is par for older hotels I guess). Most people were respectful though and at least tried to quietly shut their doors. Overall, it was a perfect pre-flight hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

    « Nice hotel - 5 minutes to airport »

« Very decent place for at least the short stay near SFO »

To be fair, I only spent about 9 hours at the hotel - I got in one evening and had an early flight. The parking lot was crowded and it wasn't enjoyable having to go back out to my car after check-in to hand a tag on my mirror but I guess they have to monitor their lot closely. The check-in person was extremely nice and gracious - I was tired and grumpy and she made me smile (thank you!). The room was fine - clean, dark enough for sleeping, had appropriate amenities - and the price was very reasonable. Breakfast comes with the room - but they didn't have an offering for someone departign before the official breakfast opening. Very close to the rental car return at SFO - very simple.

    « Very Nice Hotel »

We checked in to the Best Western Plus Grosvenor Airport Hotel after a long drive and were please to see ice water and coffee in the check in area. The hotel is pleasant, the room was quiet (not facing the highway), and the desk staff were excellent. They steered us to great parking (you know San Francisco can be pricey) and dining options in the area. The bed was nice and soft, and the shower was hot. Enjoyed this hotel best of the three we stayed in during our trip to CA.

    « Terrible!! »

My friends and I got 2 rooms. Upon entering, Our room had cookie crumbs on the floor and our friends room was even worse! It was my first time to witness a room where the housekeeping staff left a plastic of garbage, glasswares, and laundry IN THE ROOM. All of these are upon check in. Told the front desk staff about it but he offered a downgrade room since they're fully booked. The front desk staff doesn't have a pleasing personality either.. And their staff seems unmotivated. Breakfast was terrible too. I would never stay in this hotel again and will tell my friends to avoid staying here!

« NICE HOTEL NEAR THE AIRPORT »

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It's always hit or miss when you stay near an airport. This was a hit. It was clean and the staff was very attentive. I was afraid it would be very loud with planes flying over so I bough ear plugs but surprisingly I didn't have to use them. The airport shuttle was on time and the hotel had little grab bag breakfast for the early birds who were leaving before the buffet was open.

    « Simple and convenient »

Stayed there solo for 4-5 days. It's a good hotel if you're looking for a decent bedroom far from the main city. The most convenient BART station is at the airport, but there's a shuttle that goes between the airport and hotel. You can use the shuttle to get to the airport in order to catch the BART. The hot breakfast buffet is good, which helps save some money on eating out in the morning. For a decent price and good amenities, this is a good hotel to stay in when you want to travel. I would stay here again if I were to come back to San Francisco.

    « Good location....Nice breakfast! »

Even though the hotel needs a "make over" I can say it is OK. Location was perfect to get on the train at the SFO Airport to San Francisco downtown. Breakfast was convenient and fresh, with enough variety of items. Staff was friendly but they should pay more attention to housekeeping mainly in the bathtub.

« Convenient and affordable hotel near San Francisco airport »

I use SFO airport frequently for return flights to get home. This is my favourite when booked for an early departure. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The menu in the bar has some pleasant surprises -- more than the usual fare for an airport hotel. The hotel lobby area and main floor exterior were recently renovated. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

The service was wonderful, the rooms and elevators are somewhat dated but functional. The food was good. After dropping off rental car the night before departure the shuttle was 10 minutes late from scheduled pick-up time. The shuttle was prompt in the early morning before our departure.

    « Great Park/Sleep/Fly Hotel »

We have stayed here to park our car rather than using airport parking. Always have friendly service, good breakfast and a great night sleep before getting on a flight. This time we parked and spent the night on our way home. Our car is always in the same shape we left it in. No dings or dents. Very comfortable rooms, especially the beds This last time we were given a mini suite.

This was the first time I stayed at the hotel. I was looking for a hotel not far from the airport. It can be difficult to find a good value hotel with parking around San Francisco. Their hot breakfast is excellent and you can't beat the shuttle service that takes to from the airport and to the airport. We always stay at this property and I highly recommend it.

« Perfect for SFO parking and staying pre or post flight »

There are many park and fly hotels near SFO, but this one seems to have the very best staff. All were personable, friendly, and concerned about our visitor experience. The room was fine, the breakfast generous (average ingredients), and overall, I have now switched from El Rancho to the Grovesner. Special kudos to staff member Bianca.

« Relax after crossing USA and get pampered! »

Best Western Gorvernor is only a few miles from San Francisco International airport. How convenient!. A complimentary Shuttle service is provided and you do not have to hassle upon arrival with a car rental. A delicious buffet breakfast is prepared fresh daily by their hard working team. The lobby area is always busy with many travelers passing thru, but during our 5 day stay, the kind staff was Ready to accommodate our needs or questions. Easy central location to many sight seeing areas - loved the Golden Bridge and piers. And Best all all near to our family celebration in Pacifica, CA. Thank you Best Western for being the BEST.

    « Protect your property »

The stay itself was great but the problem we had was not resolved and I don't think we will stay here in the future. Mr. Kong,( the CEO was sent this) we had a problem and your managers didn't even address it. We paid to park there and our car was hit. The clerk said that problems of that nature are not covered. We ask to see any security videos to see if we could determine what car hit us and you didn't even comply with that courtesy. Mr and Mrs Keena The room itself was comfortable but the way management or lack of management to handle a problem is poor.

    « Great Hotel Stay »

The entire experience at the hotel was great. The room was comfy, the location was great and offered easy access to all points due to the proximity of the highway, and the breakfast was great. The only thing that could have made it better was an indoor pool.

« Good hotel if you have a car »

We stayed at the Best Western Plus for a San Francisco vacation. The hotel is close to the airport with easy access to the freeway. We had a car and were in the city center within 20 minutes. The hotel is nice, decent breakfast and everything clean. I would definitely stay there again.

    « great stay »

very close to airport, on time shuttle. Perfect place for short term transit stay. Quick check in/check out. room is pretty nice and clean. Breakfast are also good. overall, this hotel is good and value for money.

« Excellent accomadations as well as location »

This hotel is overall excellent becuase of the accomodations, location and staff. We have stayed at this hotel for several years while doing buisness in San Francisco. The staff will see that you have everything that is needed at anytime, day or night! Individual consideration is given to each stay as we frequent UCS for variuos reasons.

    « Great value »

My family and I stayed here the night before a morning flight. The hotel building itself is very nice. It is also very popular! The front desk staff was helpful and able to manage all the people needing assistance. This is not your typical hotel breakfast. You have to check in with the head waiter, and then get in line. I guess that the food was a "high-end" continental breakfast, including hard-boiled and scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels, toast, juice, etc. Something for everyone! There is just enough parking. It was dark in the parking lot. Overall, a good night's stay.

    « Exceeded my expectations »

The hotel was very quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast offered a huge selection, which we thoroughly enjoyed. A Sees Candy store right across the street was an added bonus!

« Business and pleasure trip »

The hotel staff was very friendly and went the extra steps to make sure our stay was pleasing. The noise level from the outside is a bit loud at times from the traffic flow. It is a good location for the airport, but rather isolated for convenient shopping.

« Overnight stay after long flight »

The hotel staff was very nice, I was given a small room at end of bldg. Facing main street, after arriving at room I noticed a lot of street noise , so I changed rooms to opposite mid area of hotel. I was on the 9th floor, very nice remodeled rooms well equipted. I was happy, and had a peaceful night, even though the hotel was booked solid, it was very quiet later in the evening. There was a restaurant, but I has eaten out prior to checkin. The next morning I ate a free buffet breakfast, had most everything for a breakfast, only meat was a hash and potatoes which some might be unhappy with. There was fresh melon, juices, omelet stand, rice, cereals, eggs, and pastries, adequate for most guest on the run. During the day they are open for meals, and serve mostly oriental dishes. I was happy with my selection of this hotel. There is a charge of 7. For self parking, which is cheap for the area. It has easy access to the airport, and I would stay here again. Rooms are nicely appointed, staff are accommodating, and close to places to eat. There is an IHOP next door...the price was great for the area. Would recommend

    « More than I expected... »

Given the good price I was expecting a lot less. Pickup and drop off at airport was good and fast. Room was fine, not brand new but in good shape. Free breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Just spent the night between flights and it was a good choice.

    « Good stay »

Spent one night here as we needed to be in Daly City early in the morning. The beds were comfortable. The room had been updated some time ago, but it was in good condition. The breakfast was a nice bonus as it included several hot items, including steamed rice and corned beef hash. Overall, a good stay that's convenient to the airport and the surrounding cities.

    « Great Hotel & Great Value »

I like this hotel. Its convenient to airport and San Francisco. The people that work here go the extra mile to make your stay great. Clean rooms, nice amenities. The shuttle from airport to hotel is very important to me. The breakfast is great and something for everyone.

« Wonderful stay in South San Francisco »

This was a very nice, clean and friendly place to stay. The breakfast was great! It was easy to find off of the freeway. The added bonus was a Sees Candy Store right across the street. If we visit the area again, we will definitely stay here.

« Very good choice near SFO airport »

We chose the BWP because of it's proximity to the airport and it was a good choice. The hotel bar and dining area had plenty of options. The queen suite was OK. We would have preferred the bathroom to be more accessible to the living room without having to go through the bedroom.

    5
    « Pleasure trip »

Excellent overall, from staff to amenities...Staff are really friendly and very helpful. Hotel is clean and the rooms have plenty of space. The beds are very comfortable. Check in and check out is quick. Keep up the good work Best Western Plus Grosvenor !! You guys give out of town people a home away from home.

    2
    « Stay at hotel »

There are very much noise from the airport and from the aircondition. The rooms are old and small. it's not possible to get coffee between during the day. It's an okay hotel for a short stop before flying out but not for a longer stay in San Francisco.

    5
« Great option when visiting SF »

I attended a conference at the Moscone Center and refused to spend $400+ a night for a hotel room downtown. The Grosvenor was the most economical, yet high-quality, hotel I found. I was able to take BART to Moscone each morning, so I ended up saving a ton of money. The rooms at the hotel are roomy and light, and the bed is super comfortable. The breakfast in the morning is very good and is included in the room rate when you book your room directly with Best Western. If you're planning to visit SF, I highly recommend staying at the Grosvenor and saving some serious cash.

    4
« Good Option For SF Airport Short Stay »

Not to be redundant, but my experience at this hotel echoes the majority of those made by the other reviewers. Hotel is close to SFO, it's old but being updated, service and check in and out is quick, rooms are small (especially bathrooms), employees are friendly, and breakfast is big but boring. My only criticism is simply that upon entering my room for the first time, the garbage from the previous stay was still there; pretty big oversight for a hotel that proudly shows its housekeeping awards. Restaurant menu is all over the map; no doubt trying to satisfy an international clientele. Be prepared to drive a bit for quality food; the area around the hotel is a food desert. What recommends this hotel over the dozens in the immediate area is the pricing and proximity to SFO, especially if you are just catching a flight. Perfect for a short stay; if vacationing in SF, there are better options.

    5
    « Everything you need! »

What do you want in a hotel the night before an early flight home? 1-dependable shuttle service; 2-front-desk personnel who pay attention to your preferences; 3-convenient bar and restaurant with great bar food and menus; 4-no-hassle, in-house Internet; 5- a computer where you can print out your boarding passes; 6-clean quiet room with fridge, microwave, robes, and a comfortable bed; 5-a bagged to-go breakfast, even at 5 a.m. Best Western Plus Grosvenor SFO has it all.

    3
    « Average Airport Hotel »

This is your basic run-of-the-mill airport hotel. It's all about the location and convenience of being near the airport and freeways. The room was clean and updated. The included buffet breakfast was quite good with lots of hot and cold options. There is easy access to the freeway and it's a short 20 minute (non-rush hour!) ride into SF. The price is WAY better than downtown so we chose to make the drive for our two days there. The surrounding area is commercial and I wouldn't walk around here after dark. Again - everything that is typical of an airport area. The hotel itself felt safe and the exterior entrances were key-card entry so it was fine.

« Best Hotel In the San Francisco Area »

This hotel is great and easy to get to and the staff are the best !!!!! Parking is very cheap Vs staying in San Francisco which is very expensive !!! The beds are the most comfortable beds I have every slept in at a hotel.

    « Decent Airport Hotel »

Nothing special. Room is typical of these hotels. Adequately roomy. Decor was pleasant.. Clean. Decent breakfast included. Recommend for this use.... going to and from airport and leaving car. Staff fine.

    « They'll be expecting you! »

Everyone from the morning maid to the check-in clerks treated us as though we were the only patrons in the hotel. They were extremely polite and very helpful, Our suite was very clean and comfortable. We had dinner that night and breakfast in the morning...both were wonderful. We'll be back!!!

    4
« Close but too close »

Close to the airport but didn't get much sleep. Plains taking off thru the night, late night/early morning travelers were inconsiderate of others. Stayed the night before our flight early in the morning. Convenient shuttle bus, room is very nice, comfortable beds, restaurant open til 10 pm, breakfast starts at 6am we didn't get to enjoy but got a nice sack breakfast instead.

    « Good airport hotel »

A good overnight hotel for airport, nice lounge, good clean room. Good value compared to many other SF airport hotels. Free shuttle service, punctual and regular. Hotel staff efficient and courteous, recommended.

    5
« excellent choice for the airport »

This a really nice hotel with a great staff. We did a park and fly package. The shuttle was great. They even have real cups and glass's there. not like the hyatt airport hotel. We had food delivered and it was great. There is a large Costco right across the street for items and gas.

    3
« Small Room, Would stay in a pinch but not long term. »

We stayed here for an overnight connection. We got to the shuttle bus area, I called and asked how frequently they came and she said the next one would be there in 10 minutes. We diligently watched the shuttles come. After 20 min I called back and they said I missed it. Next one was in 20 minutes. So we waited. A bus parked way behind the others, I started walking toward it to see who it was and the driver stepped out. I asked if he was with the BW Grosvenor and he said no. As I was walking back, the bus started to drive by and I saw it was for our hotel. Had to flag him down. Hotel check in was nice and quick. Got up to our room which was next to a stairwell. The wind was blowing so hard it was whistling through the stairwell door. We could hear it in our room. Our room was tiny. Probably 12x12. It had queen bed, 1 nightstand, small table, desk at the foot of the bed and a cart with fridge in it. Everything was nicely updated, just very very cramped. We ordered room service which was very good, very plentiful and considerable affordable. We did not do the breakfast the next morning since we had an early flight. They were supposed to have snack bags for those leaving before breakfast but were not ready for those leaving on the 4am shuttle.

    « BW Grosvenor »

Clean hotel, friendly staff, especially the woman bartender- who went out of her way to please. We didn't care for the free breakfast, but it was a full breakfast including eggs, potatoes, and sausage, waffles, yogurt, etc. Convenient off the freeway location to SF Airport. The only issue for me was although it is only about 9 miles outside of SF, driving into SF during morning commute traffic, and back to the hotel during rush hour was a bit difficult. A 9 mile drive took 35 minutes.

« for quick over night to be close to airport and auto rental return. »

room is standard but nice. Bed is very good and comfortable. service is very good. breakfast is very nice and very nice seating. Parking was extra. wifi worked well in the room without probs. very nice office with 2 computers and printer. IHOP and Denny's near by. Free shuttle bus from/to airport. they stop at Holiday Inn across the street and Travelodge down the street plus at this BW hotel as well.

    4
« Close to Airport + Good Breakfast »

The hotel is very close to SF airport. Have Mc Donald in front of hotel. Breakfast is great. But the sad thing is they charged USD7 for parking fee for hotel guest. It is not easy to find a parking space inside the hotel. I stay in 4th floor in front of elevator that make very loud ring everytime the elevator got to the floor. Very annoying.

    5
    « Surprised! »

I had an unexpected overnight layover in San Francisco and I had nowhere in mind until I found this surprising gem of a hotel. It stands out in my memory because of how effortless the entire check-in and check-out process was for me, as well as how neat and classic the entire hotel presented itself. The shuttle to the airport was lovely and the driver was a complete sweetheart. My room was immaculate and it was very quiet. The front desk staff were extremely courteous and kind. I've been meaning to leave a review for a while now. A big thank you to making my layover bearable (and enjoyable!)

    « San Francisco Vacation »

We stayed in the Best Western Plus at SFO for our two nights in San Francisco and found it overall a great hotel for our stay. We were a family of six and had two rooms. Front desk was very friendly and helpful, especially Mary. Lady in the bar/restaurant was also very informative and nice. Shuttle to the airport was convenient to catch the Bart into San Fran and to the airport later. They also stored our luggage when we had a late departure. Everyone enjoyed the complimentary breakfast offered, and my husband made use of the fitness room in the evening. I would stay here again when in San Francisco.

« Great Hotel for Airport Travel »

Hotel and restaurant staff were very nice. The rate was reasonable, parking was easy, staff helpful, room clean and comfortable, shuttle easy to use, etc. The only reason that I would rate it a 4 vs 5 is that the shuttle only runs every 30 mins. Would be nice if they joined with other hotels and could offer every 15 mins.

    5
    « Good Value »

Excellent choice for a trip to San Francisco with reasonable parking and a comfortable stay with free breakfast. Only 20 minutes into SF. Very close to airport with free shuttle. I will stay there again!

    « Very good value »

I booked this hotel on my brothers recommendation. He has traveled around the world for his work and in his leisure, he and his partner use Best Western hotels as they are a good value and provide what he needs. I am pleased I went with his recommendation. I am disabled and was visiting my 3 and 5 year old grandsons. I booked a room for myself, my grandsons and my daughter, for four nights. From the first time I contacted the hotel they helped me choose the right room. I had originally decided on a single king bed as the boys co-sleep with their parents, but the hotel moved me into a disabled room with two queens for the same price. It worked out perfectly. My grandsons, as all children this age are, were very loud and messy. The hotel staff was gracious about getting us extra towels, cups and accessories. They vacuumed the room twice one day because of the mess they made with crackers. In the restaurant, they were treated like little royalty and the staff was quick to clean up a spill or get more napkins for us. The staff answered my questions accurately about how to get places I wanted to take the boys. Staff was knowledgeable about the area and knew were there were parks and kid friendly venues for me to take the boys. I got confused about check in for my return flight and one of the staff stood with me and helped me take care of it and get my boarding pass. They offered to help me get my walker in and out of my rental car, as it was heavy and awkward. Once my youngest grandson took off running out the front door of the hotel and one of the staff caught him just in time. (The boys can be a handful at times). Thank you for the great experience you provided for me. I will return

    « Almost Perfect! »

This hotel is the venue of my seminar, so I booked in this hotel for 4 nights. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Ameneties included were mini-ref, wi-fi among others. Room/bathroom were clean. Location is near the SFO airport and McDonald's is just across the street. I have no problem with my stay except with for free breakfast food which has limited choices. For my five days stay in the hotel, the breakfast meals always come with meat containing pork.

    « I would recommend this hotel »

The property is very well kept. Staff is helpful and pleasant to deal with. The morning breakfast was outstanding. Location is a big benefit. Close to freeway with easy access to San Francisco or the Peninsula. Family friendly, quiet and a great place to stay.

    5
« They get it right every time! »

Again... a perfect stay! The hotel is very well managed. The entire team has a real sense of pride in the quality of their work. Breakfast is delightful, a great selection run by caring staff. I love this hotel!

    « Nice »

Search for a good hotel deal around SFO area, we booked this hotel for 3 nights with a good price. The hotel were Clean, modern, quiet and very close to Sfo. Staff were friendly. One was even showed us some area to visit. Breakfast included. Free parking. We will book it again in the future.

« Worse ever stayed in Best Western hotel »

    1. Did not got the room I reserved 2. Very... bad Wifi. I waited 10 minutes to load a page or timeout. 3. Noisy room because it is close to the freeway 4. When complained, the front desk staffs just said "I am sorry" and did not try to help me.

    5
« Great place to stay near SFO. »

Friendly, competent people at the front desk, clean, comfortable, quiet room with all the amenities and the shuttle is always on time and helps with the luggage. Hard to beat for the price! Have been staying here for many years and very consistent service and cleanliness.

Overall experience was good for comfort, amenities, facilities & staff services Except the room was small if for mature couple stay. Good wifi connection & breakfast was nice. Was given microwave when requested.

« Good price and very convenient to the airport! »

We stayed 3 nights and if you need to stay near the airport, this is perfect, with good prices (booked through Booking.com). The hotel is relatively well maintained, and while not immaculate, it's clean enough. For example, all along the baseboards in our room, there is an accumulated dust line on the carpeting. But, not a huge deal. The first day, we were gone all day and got back to find the room not cleaned at all. We called reception right away, then spoke to a staff member who came up with toiletries we had requested and the next morning mentioned it to desk staff. Nobody apologized; we just got a "Hmmmm... we're not sure what happened there!" When asked at checkout if everything went OK, I repeated myself and the desk person looked puzzled, but not concened. Due to that lack of concern or apology, I insisted on some recognition of the loss of service paid for and he refunded me $7.00 for one night of parking. Speaking of which, parking is paid, and they must have a very healthy airport parking business, because the lot is always crazy full and we often had to circle around a few times before finding a spot. Good breakfast with hard working breakfast staff. All things considered, our stay was positive with a couple of minor annoyances, and we would return.

    5
« Good choice in San Francisco »

We stayed here 3 nights and we're pleased with this hotel. The shuttle to the airport got us to the BART station which was then a short ride downtown. I'm glad we didn't try to take our car downtown as SF traffic is crazy and parking, if you can find it, is expensive. There was originally a mix up as we were given a handicapped accessible room which we didn't ask for but they were very helpful in changing us to a regular king room on the same floor. We even had a bit of a bay view from our room! Breakfast was very good, lots of choices and regularly refreshed. Our bed was comfortable. We'd defiantly consider it again. They have sufficient parking but charge $7/night - free would have been nice.

    « Many ammenities »

The Best Western Grosvenor is one of the top three Best Western plus in the Bay Area. Their courteous staff and excellent breakfast are unparalleled. Always recognize the Best Western Platinum members, also. Always an enjoyable stay while on business trip.

    « Exceeded expectations »

We were pleasantly surprised by the service we received at this Best Western. From check-in to check-out the staff delivered above average customer service. The person we checked in with asked questions and offered services to meet our needs. The restaurant staff was friendly and quick. The room was small but very clean, attractive and had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend.

    5
« Great rooms and customer service »

Great service. Free shuttle to the airport. Bagged breakfast if you are leaving before breakfast is served. NO free coffee in the lobby. Rooms were clean. You can hear the airplane noise, but to be expected being that close to the airport.

    4
    « Nice Place »

I stayed here for a training course and the hotel is nice and the staff were good but it is not near anything. I did have a problem at check in. I asked for a quiet room and they put me in a room across from the elevator. I didn't even settle in before calling and requesting a different (quiet) room. It took some negotiating but eventually they gave me another room. The stay was good after that.

    3
« Good enough for a business trip - quiet and clean rooms »

They charge $7 for parking. The hotel is very close to SFO, but you rarely hear the air traffic. They have a restaurant and bar on site. While the hotel is an older property, it is clean and comfortable and you can see that some updating projects have been completed and others are still yet to be completed. The pillows are small and the mattress was firmer than I like, but all things considered equal, I would stay here again on a business trip. I wouldn't try this place for a romantic weekend. There isn't much around the property, an IHOP and McDonalds.

    4
« Would Have Given 5 stars but... »

Other than a very welcoming lobby, nice decor, staff were nice and accommodating; however room fell short of my expectation as I assumed the beds would be Queen sized; it came as full sized ones and my room did not have a microwave oven; when I notified the receptionist about the beds she insisted it was Queen sized so I did not bother asking for a microwave oven. Other that that..overall the hotel stay was okay hallway was clean; breakfast was satisfying with a lot of food choices, I just wished they serve oatmeal-but everything was a-okay.

    4
« Good Value for services »

Comfortable room, Wi-Fi, complete Breakfast, Car Storage available, Airport Shuttle on the half hour, Courteous staff. Have used Best Western Grosvenor four times; each visit has been very satifactory.

« Everything you need for a stay near the airport, BART will take you to The City »

You will get everything you need if you stay here. FULL continental breakfast with biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, the works...not just pastries and coffee. VERY busy dining area at peak time, but there is plenty of seating for all the breakfast eaters. Room was quiet and comfortable. Bathroom is tight but it got the job done. First time travelers to CA beware, our water restrictions mean business, so low flow faucets are everywhere, this hotel is no exception. Pool is outside in the parking lot. Kids would love it no matter. Truly a traveler's hotel. Has Everything. Bar seating area open 24 hours, last call at midnight, ample selection, great staff. If you have time, you will be so close to San Francisco, drive in and go see The City. Hotel is very close to the Milbrae BART station, less driving, easy trip to The City with no parking hassles if you want to use public transportation, downtown buses, cable cars etc. If you don't have a day to play, but you have a couple hours to spend, you can sit by the windows at the restaurants just down the road from BEST WESTERN PLUS and watch the planes take off.

« overnight stay for airport »

    « Everything I Wanted »

I expected clean and neat, and that's what I got. It isn't a destination in itself (which is the only reason I didn't give it a top rating), but for what it is, it does it well. Wonderful breakfast, clean room. My stay in San Francisco was better for the experience.

    5
    « Good customer service »

Receptionist was great and very helpful, room was nice and clean besides the people next door letting their baby cry for over an hour everything was great. Good Breakfast and a nice restaurant and bartender who made you feel right at home.

    « Good Locations »

Right off of the 101. Clean, continental breakfast. Other places to eat breakfast if you don't want the Continental breakfast. The only bad thing is they charge for parking. Next time I will use Taxi or Uber to get rides to my destination. The $114 parking charge was a bit much.

    « best airport hotel »

I Have stayed here many times and I will not stay anywhere else. Very clean, Quiet, and really great staff. Very comfy beds, close to airport, and free shuttle service. They also let you leave your car there while gone on your trip. Absolutely awesome.

« great location at SFO »

Close to the airport with timely shuttle service. Good full-service hotel. Well-made cocktails in lounge and very well prepared dinner in restaurant; with very reasonable prices. Very comfortable bed in quiet room that blocked out all airport and traffic noise! We'll be back, whenever we're travelling through San Francisco.

    « Super Bowl week 2016 »

We were coming to SFO from NC for the Super Bowl....I was skeptical at first as I had gotten a really good rate through my vacation club. I was afraid once we got there, they would try to charge me extra, but they did not. The only trouble we had was a long wait at the airport for the free shuttle. It is possible the shuttle passed us as we weren't sure what we were looking for....the rest of the week was a breeze. We rode the shuttle multiple times during the week to connect to the BART (train/light rail) into downtown SFO. The drivers seemed happy that we rode the shuttle a lot, of course, we did tip him a couple dollars each time. The beds were very comfortable and the daily breakfast was a nice surprise....it was interesting to get see steamed rice for breakfast. Each day the offerings were a little different. It was really nice to see fresh apples in the lobby and citrus infused water as well....computers were available for checking points of interest or flights....overall, I definately stay again. However, if you think you will be going into downtown often, it cost us 18.00 per person round trip to ride into downtown each time....almost 60.00 for the 3 of us...so not really worth it to go into town for dinner...however there was a downtown South San Francisco shuttle that took you close by for more restaurant choices. The shuttle was free during Super Bowl week. Close by there is a IHOP and a pretty good Chinese Buffet...across the street there is a McDonalds....next door there is a See Chocolate shop....we were only about 1 mile from the airport. 40 miles from downtown SFO and about 40 miles from San Jose....pretty much right in the middle of where we needed to be.

« Okay for an overnight, but definite room for improvement. »

Hotel is very near San Francisco International Airport and is listed as a Best Western Plus. The rooms are very small and dark, and the front desk staff, while cheerful, have a terrible habit of asking you to wait while they talk to each other, communicate messages over the walkie talkie, and answer the phone. The restaurant offers basic fare, but something for every taste, from Asian, to Italian, to sandwiches, steaks and seafood. My server, Linda, was very friendly and efficient. While I probably won't return, for a quick business overnight, this hotel is acceptable.

    4
    « A great place to stay. »

There was a free shuttle to and from the San Francisco Airport, we were glad of as it was pouring rain. The driver was courteous and let us know which hotels he would call at, ours was the first. The ladies at the reception were very helpful. Water with fruit in was available while we waited to check in. The room was spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. An excellent breakfast with a variety of items was available and include, free papers were also available.

« denied late check out and had to get another hotel just for an hour! »

I was forced to leave when i needed late check out to get ready for a late afternoon meeting and Roberta denied it to me and I had to scorunge and was stressing out trying to locate a neaby hotel to save me BUT i had to pay a full nights stay for just one hour I needed. I a,m asking for a refund becuase I stay at many hotels and it was never a problem but all that I had to go thru was awful. unless they refund me I will never go back again and will tell everyone I work with,

    « Very pleasant staff »

I left my cell phone in my roomon checkout, staff found it and kept it for me until I could collect it.Very honest and pleasant staff. Overall it was a pleasant stay with a friendly atomoshere and a convenient location for the airport and city.

    « Don't get discouraged »

Don't get discouraged by the old interiors of the lobby and the hallways, when you get to your room you'll see that the rooms.and the bathrooms are renovated and really looks nice! The room is very spacious too with a big screen tv and the bed is very comfortable. The staff are friendly and the restaurant downstairs offers good food. Breakfast was included and it was sumptuous - 3 main courses and lots of fruits and bread to choose from. Hotel is very close to the airport, less than 10 minutes shuttle ride. You have to wait for aboit 30 minutes for the shuttle though because it doesn't arrive on time.

    4
« Affordable in San Francisco »

Stayed two nights to get out of the rain. Ok transit access but some real crazy people on the BART. Breakfast was good and changed from one day to the next. If you want to check in earlier than 3pm you need to make arrangements prior to getting there.

    4
    « Close to SFO »

Deluxe suite was great. We only had one night to enjoy this awesome room before boarding a plan for Europe. The room was spacious with two flat screen tvs so everyone could see what they wanted. The hotel staff were very accommodating and the only struggle is when you arrive late you will need to park way out back. I did not use the restaurant during this stay but I have used it in the past and the food is very good. I recommend the bay shrimp salad.

    5
    « Wonderful stay »

We have stayed at this property many times in the past and have continued to get consistent wonderful service. The rooms are clean, spacious, and breakfast generous. They treat their BW members very well too and accommodate when they can.

    5
    « SFO Airport South »

A centrally located hotel not far from the airport and very efficient. Airport van service very reliable. I highly recommend it. I have stayed here some 15 times over the last 10 years...the beds are especially comfortable. If you want a hotel near the SFO airport, this should be the one.

    5
    « Old faithful »

We stay here several times a year. The rooms are always clean and fresh. The staff are competent and friendly. We use the shuttle service which is a great convenience. We choose the park-and-fly option, which saves us money and time. The free breakfast is acceptable and other meals are good.

    4
« Does what its designed to do »

I stayed here because it was convenient to my business trip plans in downtown SF. It is clean and the breakfast was excellent. The building is clearly getting dated and the rooms are clean and nice, but the bathrooms are really tiny. No worries. Excellent customer service from Imelda, at the front desk make up for these minute shortcomings. I say bring back the gym visit privileges to local gyms because the fitness center was lacking. Try to get a room facing the front of the building because facing 101 expressway, my room, was really noisy.

    5
« Good place to stay »

Clean, Convenient and cozy. We stayed here each time when we come to San Francisco and feel it like home. We are familiar with the people and place and even the See's Candy next door. And everything is nice. Each trip is a nice memory. I love it here!

« Nice enough hotel and convenient »

Attended a convention at the Moscone and chose this instead of paying close to $500 / night at downtown hotel. Other reviews refer to the rooms as "tired" and "shabby" and I completely agree. The property needs a major overhaul / updating there. My room had a rather large hole in the curtains and the window didn't even shut completely. As the room faced the highway and is near airport, that made it rather noisy. Room also had no remote for the TV. The bar and food were pretty good -- and the bartender gave me a free drink!

    3
« Convenient but better places elsewhere »

This tired hotel has a shared shuttle bus with other hotels and is on the main road - quite expensive although helpful staff allowed us to keep the room until 4pm with no extra charge. Bar restaurant OK, bedroom small.

    3
« Warm staff makes up for so-so accomodations »

While the lobby of the hotel is quite nice, and the food is actually pretty decent, the rooms themselves are somewhat shabby. The heating system in particular is clearly old and the shower curtains are warn. However I was very pleased with the friendliness and cheerfulness of the staff, especially those in the restaurant.

    5
    « Business »

A friendly and very helpful staff. Room was comfortable and clean. This is close to the airport. They have a decent breakfast to fuel up for the day. I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay in the area. San Francisco is only 20 min away.

    4
« Good stop before an early flight »

Very comfortable place to spend the night if you have to take an early flight in the morning. The shuttle comes every half hour. Occasionally can get crowded but since it starts at this hotel, there is usually not a problem getting a spot. There is a token bag breakfast available if you have to leave before the breakfast buffet opens up, but not really worth it (a cold danish, and apple and a light yogurt).

    3
    « Quick overnight stay »

stayed here 1 night with family of 4. The rooms are nice but small. Beds were pretty comfy. bathroom pretty tiny. The hotel is a bit dated but for 1 night was ok for us. Shuttle was good and on time. we ended up taking a cab to in and out burger in Millbrae but was $50 USD..not worth it and we should have asked for the price before we got in. Our bad.

    4
« Good place to park and stay as part of your travel plans »

We were out of town on a trip for just over a week and chose to park our car during our trip, with a one night stay when we flew back to San Francisco. Hotel is convenient to the airport and offers a free, generous breakfast. Rooms are clean, breakfast was good, and staff was quite helpful. It was a good choice spending the night upon our return rather than drive 2 hours after a long flight. Will do it again when flying out of SFO.

    3
    « Close but Average »

The good news is that the Grosvenor is very close to the airport. It is convenient for a very early morning flight. What makes it at best "average" is that it shows it's wear. This is a threadbare hotel, minimalist in amenities and comforts. Stay for it's location, do not expect more.

    4
« Great place to stay »

Stayed for business. Great location, close to the airport, easy on/off of freeway and quick drive to the city. Hotel was quiet, the room clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was great and the restaurant had a great menu for dinner. Recommend this place to stay.

    2
« Perhaps it was an 'off' day »

My expectations were in line with the reviews. However, they must have been having an 'off' day. When I checked in at 4pm, there were wet towels on the floor, the sheets were stripped but not replaced, other sheets appeared used and stacked on tables. Bad first impression after a very long day of traveling.

    « Comfortable Stay »

Very clean updated rooms. Airport shuttle very punctual going. Back & forth every 1/2 hour. We had dinner in the restaurant & both the service & food were excellent, not only was our server efficient he was also friendly & thoughtful bringing an extra plate in case we wanted to share the dinnervsaladvthatbwas very large.

« This is a great hotel and staff »

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and love it. Handy to airport, great shuttle and even greater employees. John Sy, Front Office Manager was exceedingly helpful with all requests and Eugenia Mora, Housekeeping was the same. I had a need for a microwave which was in my room at check-in and requested they replace this microwave because it was old and not safe. This was done immediately. The General Manager of this hotel is also helpful. I don't think I would stay at another hotel in the San Francisco area. The breakfast is also very good.

    4
« Very Handy for SFO airport »

This hotel is perfect for anyone travelling to SFO airport, it was comfortable, nice big room, comfortable bed, bathrooms are small but perfectly adequate for weary travelers. I had an end room room 501 which has a connecting door to the room next door, which was a little odd, as I could hear every word from the couple occupying it. But other than that, it was pretty good. The free shuttle to the airport is easy to use and an excellent service that leaves every 30 minutes. There is a Mcdonalds across the road and an IHOP diner a minute walk away.

    5
« Always love staying here »

I love everything about this hotel from the wonderful customer service to the yummy breakfast. We've been staying here at the Best Western for at least 13 years :-). Clean, safe, modern. I highly recommend this hotel.

    4
    « Worked for me :) »

I like the fact that BW offers breakfast, has a bar/restaurant, park n fly, and real close to SFO. My room was a corner room, not to my liking but now I know to question where the room is before I accept a key. I found $200 to be a bit high for a one night stay but I like the location of the hotel. I would recommend hotel to a friend but also advise them of the pricing of rooms.

    3
    « One Night Stay »

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night following four nights in Napa. We wanted someplace convenient to SFO, and this fit the bill. The exterior is a bit dated, and the bathroom was very tiny. However, for a one-night stay this was perfectly fine, and relatively quiet given the close proximity to SFO. We dropped our rental car off and then were easily able to catch the shuttle back to the hotel. We were on the 4:30am shuttle the next morning and they had complimentary to-go bags for breakfast, including a danish, orange juice, apple and granola bar, which was really nice. The shuttle was prompt and made the final leg of our trip stress-free. I would recommend this hotel for a night or two for close location to SFO and free shuttle.

    5
    « great airport hotel! »

Nice spacious room, great breakfast, and good location to the airport. we delivered our car the night before our flight, and it was so easy to drop off, and then have the shuttle deliver us back to the hotel. Would definitely stay there again!

good hotel for catching an early flight shuttle bus every 30 min takes you to your airline nice friendly restaurant on site and good free breakfest check hotel websites prices look for deal very nice staff at check in and good service in the bar and restaurant. Happy Hour 4-6 pm was good value and free appitizers. 15 min from SFO

    « Hotel Experience »

Staff was friendly, Rooms were nice, Bathroom was quiet small though, Comfy Bed, Liked that they had options in watching movies in room. Room Service was over priced. overall though it was a good experience

    3
    « Buisness »

I was able to book this room at a decent rate. The hotel location is close to 101 and has great access to the SF Airport. The room was clean with the exception of an old stain on the sheets. It did not bother me that much but may bother others. The staff was very helpful. There is a charge for parking.

  • 2
    « Convenient at best »

Nothing special here. We stayed here because it was close to the airport and we arrived very late. Hotel is worn and dated. The complimentary breakfast was probably the WORST that I have ever been served. The room was relatively clean. Not a fan and would not stay here again. The best thing I have to say is the shuttle drivers were courteous and very helpful.

    2
    « Needs updating »

We stayed here on our way back from Maui and were disappointed. The hotel is in need of updating. Feels stuck in the 70's. I will say that our beds were very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and it was just okay, but our service was excellent. Would not stay here again.

    4
« Close to the airport convience. »

We stayed here for a wedding reception. The banquet hall was good size. They had a DJ, a dance floor and several round tables surrounding it. It was a served sit down reception. Servers were adequate. The food was okay. Upon check in I noticed they kept fruit water refreshment in the lobby. Offered a great free breakfast. Comfortable & clean rooms. Being so close to the airport it surprisingly wasn't loud. We returned our car early the day before our flight out. We had an early morning flight. The shuttle was a quick pick up & drop off to our departing airline. The whole process took less than 10-15minutes from pick up to drop off. Very convenient. I would recommend staying here & will probably make it a point to always stay here my last night in SF.

    5
    « Always a pleasant stay »

We use the Grosvenor often for park/sleep/fly and have always had a pleasant stay. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. Bianca at the front desk is always friendly and has been extremely helpful, especially this last time when our flight was going to leave a day early and we had to change our reservation at the last minute.

    5
    « Great Stay »

Great room, location, and customer service. I truly enjoyed my stay at the Best Western. The room was extremely clean, all services were excellent. I will definitely stay more often at Best Western. Great Stay!

    « 2/1/16 »

I loved the hotel. We used park N Fly, it was awesome. The restaurant was good, loved the free breakfast. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The shuttle experience to the airport was convenient and helpful.

« Good for South SF »

Stayed for 3 days for a work trip. Initial impression was not positive when the shuttle bus from SFO didn't seem to come around for over 30 mins (I called to check on it twice), but it improved once I got to the hotel. Staff was nice and welcoming. The restaurant host was great, offering a take-out option, which I wasn't aware of. The property feels a little dated, but it is also not billed as a 5 star hotel. Room was nice and big, clean, and the bed was super comfortable! Mattress looked new. The walls are a bit thin, so I did hear a toddler next door, but not a big deal. Nothing walkable in the immediate area except McDonald's, but the hotel had a shuttle to downtown South SF, which has some restaurants. To be clear, this is South San Francisco, which is totally separate from San Francisco itself. Overall, the hotel is a good choice if you need to be near the airport.

    5
    « ? Meaning? »

The Grosvenor is the very best you can hope for! We've stayed here many times, always a great stay. The workers in the restaurant / lounge / bar are especially great! If you're flying out of SFO this is the very best with its location and shuttle.

    3
« you get what you pay for »

which means next to the airport a bit of noise of everything motorway - airport - noisy (don't care) neighbours free breakfast which is nice wifi is free - parking not would be great if hotels would adapt to offer at least one hard pillow as well and if there would be the original remote controll in the room for adapting the TV (e.g. brightness, timer ...)

    3
    « Great Value »

Stayed for three nights recently and was quite satisfied with the overall experience. Being next to the freeway and very close to the SF airport it is remarkably peaceful and quiet. The hotel itself is pretty old but looks like it has been renovated recently. The room was clean, carpet and furniture looks new and bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom is rather small but updated as well. We absolutely enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning at no extra charge. They actually serve hot food i.e. scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes etc in addition to fresh fruits, cereal and breads. For the price we paid it was a great bargain. Will stay here again when we return to the bay area.

    « SFO Airport »

Hotel very well located, price and services are very good. Room are a little noisy. Restaurant food is good and the service is OK. & minutes from rental car return and many restaurants around the hotel.

    « Near SFO »

This place is close to SFO and pretty quiet for being near the freeway. We only stayed for one night and got there pretty late, so I can not say much besides how comfy the bed was, it was pretty clean and the front desk personal we nice and helpful. I would stay there again. Kind of pricey and they charge for parking.

    « I always prefer best western »

The best western hotels cover a range of quality levels. This particular hotel is at the high end of the range. It was pleasant and comfortable, without being ostentatious. In short: an excellent best western facility.

    5
    « Excellent airport hotel »

When I need to stay near the San Francisco Airport I always stay here. The restaurant and rooms are nice but the employees are some of the best I've encountered and I travel for business a lot. If you have business in the San Francisco Airport area then I highly recommend the Best Western Grovsenor hotel.

    5
    « Great clean motel. »

This motel was great clean and very friendly front desk people. I would stay there again. The breakfast is a full breakfast. And the food was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable and they have a restaurant right there. And they have a nice clean laundry room.

    5
    « Great Service »

The service personnel from the front desk to wait staff to cleaners is great. Breakfast was basic. I say basic because there wasn't a great deal of variety. We had our meals in the evening at the hotel because I wasn't up to going out and the food was of fine quality.

« No dishonesty or theft is tolerated by me! »

Good Morning, I am Steve French. I disputed that Restaurant charge of $15.43 yesterday at the front desk, and I spoke with Lea in the accounting dept. She said she was gonna 'talk' with the room service restaurant delivery guy. He came to the room. He handed me the receipt and my food. I signed the receipt that I got my food and I 'verbally' told him, 'Im paying cash. Do u have change?' He said he only had a $5. I gave him $22 and he gave me $5. I dont drink, I wasnt drunk, I dont do drugs. Im very very clear what happened. Then YOU charge it to my room, so I paid 'twice'. Im not paying $30 for a hamburger and Im not giving him a $15+ tip. I WANT A REFUND OF $15.43 ASAP. I am not going away. I will write corporate and post a bad review if your going to continue to be dishonest. And I will go back there and confront the idiot myself. When I told the guy 'Im paying cash', that would be his clue to inform me to not sign the receipt that I had received my food. And not play some dishonest thieving game with me. I will not go away. The dishonest idiot should be fired! I am a business owner myself and I have employees. I DO NOT TOLERATE DISHONESTY AND THEFT AT ANY LEVEL! PERIOD!! REPLY AND REVERSE CHARGE OF $15.43 IS EXPECTED! Steve French IF NO REFUND OF $15.43.....EVERYTHING IS A BIG ZERO!!!

    « Worth every penny! »

This hotel is the best compare to surrounding hotels: Their location is in the center of South San Francisco and only 1 mile to airport. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The room is in good size, very clean and the price is very reasonable. The breakfast buffet is surprisingly good. I am very happy with the stay.

    5
« A hotel worth your every penny! »

The location is perfect. The staff are very friendly and professional. The room is clean, roomy and bedding is very comfy. Their hot breakfast buffet are awesome and changed. I will book this hotel if I come back SF.

« Very good value for money hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast! »

Booked to stay here after flying internationally to meet my girlfriend - she didn't want to drive after picking me up so we booked online for $95, which was the going rate for most of the hotels nearby the airport - but this one looked a lot better than the others! Upon check-in, the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and even upgraded us to a suite because of us being long distance! The hotel is very clean and modern and the suite was very cosy. Lounge area with a sofa and a 40-ish inch tv, bedroom and bathroom area (also had a 40" tv). Bed was super comfy too! Breakfast in the morning was included in the price and was a nice surprise! Hot food (sausages, eggs, potatoes) and continental options too. Had to pay a $7 charge to use the hotel parking lot, but we felt that was reasonable enough - there is a free shuttle to/from the airport that takes about 5 minutes. The driver seemed nice and helped with my bags. Would definitely recommend staying here over other hotels in the area.

    4
    « Fit for Purpose »

Shuttle, check in, room, parking and housekeeping all as expected. Breakfast above average purely for the real crockery and cutlery and restaurant decor and setup. Would have loved an area for patrons to put their used crockery instead of it sitting, piling up on the table. With a family of four, the table begins to look and feel like a fast food cafeteria experience.

    5
    « Terrific service... »

Clean, comfortable, convienent to airport...The restaurant was good and the comp breakfast was better than I expected...Parking also a plus and reasonably priced. The staff was helpful and friendly.I would definitely stay there again

    « Good Night Rest »

This hotel is only 5 minutes from the airport which makes it convenient to get to Bart, the train that takes you to downtown San Francisco. The rooms were clean and acceptable. All I can say is the bed was so comfortable I think I was sleep in a matter of minutes. They also have a hot breakfast and a good variety which was a plus because I was traveling with my teenage son who loves to eat. Overall the desk clerk was great and other staff were very helpful. It was a great stay!!

« Great place to catch a SFO flight »

Need a place to crash near SFO to catch an early morning flight, or any time flight? This is the place. Easy to find; spacious; accommodating ; good restaurant ; perfect room for one night stay; reasonable rate, i.e. competitive.

    « Excellent service »

I was there just for a day, but the service was excellent, the room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was also very good, there was a lot of different kind of food to choose from, I would stay there again.

    « Nice Airport Hotel »

I choose Best Western hotels when function is the primary need. Grosvenor Airport Hotel met all my expectations of function. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The airport shuttle followed the schedule. The staff was courteous.

« Bad shuttle service; driver harassing for tips »

This review is for the shuttle service to SFO. The shuttle service was advertised as complimentary. When the driver dropped us off at the SFO terminal, we lined up at the back to get our luggage. The first woman gave him a tip and he said thank you, but the second guy, a man who didn't speak English, started to walk away and the driver started yelling at him and blocked his way to the terminal: "Money, where's my money? That nice lady gave me a tip, where's my money?" The man gave him some cash and left and started making the same demands of me. I would have been happy to give him a tip if he hadn't been so rude about it - when I told him this, he said verbatim "Nothing in life is free, I need my money." Thanks for the life lesson but maybe don't stop people from entering a building so you can shake them down for cash. Bottom line, if you're staying here for the shuttle to SFO, make sure to call an Uber or Lyft. This shuttle also stops at two other hotels (the Holiday Inn and one other) so it's not direct transit.

    5
    « A good hotel at a small price »

We stayed at this hotel for three nights while visiting family in San Francisco. Everything was perfect - the room was very clean, the bed comfortable, the breakfast very good (with real, not plastic, dishes and silverware). WiFi worked well. The young woman at the reception desk was extremely friendly. They charge for parking, but since the hotel rate was very inexpensive for San Francisco we didn't mind this extra small fee. Cannot comment about the shuttle or the pool since we didn't use them.

    4
    « Good , comfortable hotel »

A comfortable hotel, close to airport- the free shuttle was practical ! I found the rooms spacey and the bed the best I´ve ever slept in . Staff was very service minded. Easy to go to airport or S.F, either by bus or BART train.

    « Best budget Hotel »

Decent hotel with good amenities at great price. The proximity to the airport makes it all the more the best choice for a comfortable and convenient stay. Thanks to the courteous hotel staff, good breakfast and shuttle ride. I am coming back again.......

    3
    « Quite a notmal stay »

Nothing uncommon, a hotel like any other in this category. Not bad, but not enough good to be in this price. WiFi was good, but sometimes bad. The breakfast was poor as for me, nothing to eat except some sausages, eggs and bakery. No espresso at all, too bad coffee(( the room was clean enough and the bad was comfortable.

« Friendly Staff and Comfortable Hotel »

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights because we had an early flight returning home. The location was great, about 15 minutes from SFO, even going to other areas was easy because it was close to the highway. Checked-in was fast and the staff were all very helpful and courteous. The room was a good size and clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was my best 2 nights sleep out of my 10-night trip in San Francisco and some small towns along Pacific Hwy 1. Breakfast was included and there was a good selection of food. Parking was not free but it was only $7 per night. I had checked other places before deciding on this one and most hotels in the area could charge up to $20 for one night parking. And ended up the Hotel waived the parking fees which was a pleasant surprise (thanks John). I will recommend this hotel.

« There are other options »

I have visited San Francisco many times in the past. I have stayed at numerous hotels in the past. This is however one of the few hotels that charge for parking. Really? I did not know this until I got there. I asked the clerk as I was checking in and she said very matter-of-factly that all the hotels around SFO charge for parking. I know that is not true. So what do you get for your parking fee? Nothing but a simple piece of paper. All for the privilege of parking in the hotel parking lot. It is not even covered parking. And they are quick to point out that you park at your own risk. If they are taking my money at least I would have expected covered parking. Parking fee is just a profit center for the hotel. Room was Ok. There are not enough outlets in the room I stayed in. With two laptops and two phones we had to take turns charging things. Beds are double not Queen. Hotel needs renovation. It may have been Ok for the 1980s but not now.

We like Best Western Plus because everything is great. Clean rooms, excellent service by the personnel. Great bar and Breakfast. It doesn't matter in what city we stay the service and value of our stay is wonderful.

    « Great location...great price! »

Having just completed 8 nights at another Best Western in the Monterey area, the Grosvenor location was a welcome upgrade!!! It was minutes, non-freeway, from the airport with easy access and close enough to downtown San Francisco to enjoy the sights. The rooms were clean, beds were comfy, and the breakfast was good. And...the price was great especially considering it was New Year's eve!!! Although I would consider it budget based on the price, I would consider its value much greater than "budget". I would definitely stay again and recommend this location.

« BW Grosvenor Airport in San Francisco... GO THERE! »

Our group met in San Francisco, and the the hotel seemed a good option to staying at the high cost of living hotels in the city itself and a bit quieter for when we needed time off. This hotel gave us all we wanted. Good rooms, good food and good service with STYLE.

    5
« Nice hotel near airport »

We stayed 2 nights right after Christmas. Nice room, great staff, and good breakfast included for a reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I highly recommend this property. It's right off the 101.

« An alright stay for a night »

If one is looking for a place to have a peaceful sleep for the night before a flight, this could do the job just right. Nevertheless, the automated alarm was a tiny bit late (5 minutes). I don't think a 5 minutes would be a usual problem, although one might want to take this into account if they are a 5 minute snoozer. Be aware that the hotel does not offer shuttle if your flight is at ungodly hours. I would have expected that an airport hotel in a major airport like San Francisco would have 24 hour shuttle services. But they don't. Most disappointing part was when we tried calling for dinner. We have had a tightly packed evening and was in no mood for dressing up for dinner downstairs. But no one picked the call and we eventually had to go down. Funny enough the restaurant staff claimed that they were near the phone and could not have missed a call.

Remember when hotels would shuttle you back and forth to the airport and charge a fair fee to babysit your car (based on the length of time you were going to be gone)? It wa so much cheaper than using airport parking and less stressful. Those day are gone. The shuttles run late...are packed, stop SO many times and the "deal" is no longer a deal. This place used to have a fair rate...no more....

« Great place to stay. stuff helpful and friendly »

Room Location was just right, on the 8th floor with. Partial view of the SanFrancico bay and on the side away from the Freeway, which cut down the noise, perfect as requested. Restaurant very reasonable with courteous waiter and wonderful free breakfast in the morning.

« Comfortable room and great breakfast »

My light was cancelled. Found this hotel at last minute to spend the night. The room is comfortable and and clean. The breakfast was great. There is not much around the hotel. It is a good place to spend the night for SFO flights or go to SF.

    3
    « Flight got cancelled »

My flight got cancelled, i needed a place to stay. SFO airport is not a vacation destination. So not much to expect. The place is clean. The interior is - for European eyes - not from this century and needs to be updated. btw: rough plaster ceilings, no way! The doors facing the hallway are paper-thin. Noisy fridge in the room. Like all hotels close to the airport: overpriced. BUT: the bed was great, the shuttle to the airport and WIFI for free.

« Met all my needs with convenience, service and amenities. »

Friendly staff throughout the property and great dinner. Would have eaten at the bar, but the debate on TV would have killed my appetite. Location is great to drop off a rental car the night before. Only word of caution is to allow plenty of time for the shuttle to the airport. The one I took was more than 15 minutes late and cost me at the airport. Pick a time and then take the one before that time.

    5
« Comfortable and Close to Airport »

Stayed one night to facilitate an early flight out of San Francisco. Typical Best Western Plus level of service and facilities. Good complimentary breakfast. Complimentary airport transfer that runs most of the day every half hout.

« Lovely people make this place! »

We have been staying at the Grosvenor for almost 20 years before and after flights, as we live so far from the airport. Over the years, we have come to feel this is our second home. We especially enjoy the people -- Rosa, Stephanie, John, Bianca -- consistently kind and competent. This is an amazing spot with so much spirit and creative atmosphere -- quirky stained glass, a delightful little library, We love this place!

    « Good basic room »

My girlfriend and I stayed here and booked this through Expedia for our return trip home to Philadelphia. Conveniently located and easy to find. The room was clean and everything worked as expected. The bed was comfortable and welcome after camping for more then a week in tents and on air mattresses.

« Why I stay at the B W Plus Grosvenor. A very well trained staff! Very clean and comfortable! Easy to travel the bay ar »

A very well trained staff. A very clean and well maintained hotel. Good breakfast and easy to use as home base to get around the bay area! It is also a great place to stay and leave your car if flying out of SFO!

    « A little dated, but comfortable »

Building is a little dated, but I would not hesitate to stay here again if in the area. Shuttle service to SFO is convenient, but note it is shared with two other hotels (I did not mind that at all). Rooms are comfortable, front desk staff was very friendly at check-in/out. My BW status was recognized at check-in. I did not have a chance to experience the breakfast.

    4
« Convenient to SFO airport »

Nice room, convenient overnight or longer term parking, decent buffet breakfast, shuttle to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) every 30 minutes. A decent place to stay for early morning flights departing from SFO.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

This hotel is GREAT !!!! I always tell my friends here in Las Vegas when you go to San Francisco stay at this hotel !!! This hotel is close to the freeway 20-30 minutes from Downtown and five minutes from the airport. The rooms are very comfortable. When I go to San Francisco, I will not stay anywhere else !!!

    3
« Close To SFO Airport »

It is close to airport. If you need to sleep after airfreight, come to Best Western Plus Grosvenor. Bed was confortable and hotel room was clean. It is reasonable price and offers shuttle bus service from Hotel.

    5
    « Clean & Comfortable »

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room with 2 double, comfortable beds; table & chairs with a refrigerator in the room. Breakfast was included in the room price. Restaurant on site, but I did not have the opportunity to dine in it.

« Good price but main attraction is location »

Let's start by establishing this is hotel is about 1mile from the SFO airport. I had been in Pleasanton formwork the days before but I found this a great alternative for my last night. My flight left a little before 6am so I wanted to be closer to the airport. Room was small but nice, a little noisy from the street. Service was good and rate included a to-go breakfast. Most impressive was the free shuttle service which was super timely and reliable.

« Good Hotel. Close to Airport. Nothing Fancy »

Standard hotel, nothing fancy and does the job. Recommended if you need to be close to an airport for an early flight which was our case. Provides free shuttle to and from the airport although it does stop at midnight and resumes again at 5AM. Considering how expensive hotels in San Francisco are, this one seemed like a bargain and I think better than what you would get for the same price downtown. A bit old looking throughout i.e. bed and bathroom etc but fairly clean and decent enough. Internet is pretty good and free as well. Not much around the area though but Maccas is across the road. You need to walk about 20min to get to the nearest restaurant areas. You can get to Downtown San Francisco and Golden Gate Bridge by taking train from the airport and then number 28 bus (total trip time 2hrs one way). Recommended for overnight short stays.

    4
« Nice place before an early flight »

My wife and I visit relatives in Berkeley. If we have an early flight out in the morning, we like to stay at this hotel the night before and take the shuttle over in the morning. Not worth trying to battle with traffic on the Bay Bridge! We always get a good night sleep before a long day of travel.

    5
    « SF Airport »

We needed an overnight stay before a flight home. The hotel was clean, comfortable and provided good transportation to the airport. We appreciated the 'to go' breakfast in a bag since we had an early flight.

    4
« Good value at airport »

This was a comfortable, good value hotel. 15 minute free shuttle to airport. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and beds. The oriental lady bartender is great and the bar is well stocked did not eat dinner, but saw others food and looked good Big breakfast selection on buffet.

« Always personable and friendly staff! »

Our room, as always, was exceptional. We value the care Best Western takes of their properties. This one is near our family in San Bruno and we love staying here on holidays. The buffet breakfast is the absolute best.

    5
« Comfortable bed and great service »

Comfortable room and good location for those traveling and using SFO. Love that they are considerate enough to give you a bag breakfast if you have an early flight and are not there for the breakfast served 6-9am.

    4
« Comfortable room at a reasonable price »

Single queen room was perfect for a solo traveler. Very comfortable bed, very clean room. Location is very close to SFO and the shuttle runs every half hour, so you can park your car (at a rate much lower than park'n'fly garages). The free full breakfast was pretty amazing. Lots of choices including scrambled eggs, pancakes, steamed rice, breakfast meat, fresh fruit in addition to the usual continental breakfast offerings. They also have a green practices program.

    5
    « Best one yet! »

This Best Western was really nice. It was actually more of a hotel than motel. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and breakfast was great. Parking was very limited due to an event, but parking was free that night because of it. They only thing was I was scheduled to do a race that morning and was hoping to take breakfast to go but they had no takeout supplies but I made it work.

    1
« Hell away from home »

Sleeping at the airport can be no worse - at least they have some semblance of food for the famished, weary traveler. Aircon takes minutes to kick in so it's next to impossible to set. No bottled water in room - not even to buy.Out of shave kits and other advertised toiletries. Cheaper to by a disposable tent. Hard bed.

    4
« SFO near the location »

The Hotel shuttle bus is not too bad. Just I wait 10min after phone call by the fixed free Hotel phone call at the shuttle bus station area. And the shuttle buss frequency is each 30min included mid night to airport. The front person is quite friendly. It's good.

    4
    « Convenient Location »

I wanted to stay at a hotel close to the airport as I had to catch a 7am flight and because it was an international flight, had to be there by 5 am. The BW was less than 10 minutes away with a courtesy shuttle which picked me up at the airport the night before and delivered me to the airport early the next morning. Very smooth and timely.

    4
    « Very efficient! »

We stayed here after our trip through sonoma county and Napa Valley as we had to return to LA very early in the morning. This is a modest, but very funcitionel hotel. Rooms were clean; beds were great and we were only 3 miles away from car return/airport!

    4
    « Unexpected High Rise »

This hotel is really nice and we enjoyed our stay. There are nine floors and our room was on the seventh floor facing west toward the 101 freeway and some hills beyond. We peeked into a room across the hall and the view on the east side is slightly better as you can see San Francisco Bay in the distance.

    5
    « Friendly Staff »

The staff couldn't be any nicer! We were greeted every time we entered or exited the hotel by the front desk. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of options that changed daily! It was refreshing to have different options for breakfast each day.

    « Great Breakfast! »

Very convenient to SFO with free shuttle and great hot breakfast with eggs and sausage to get a good start on your day. The limo service that works with the hotel was a fabulous, reasonable price to get to the cruise ship dock. The room was very comfortable. We would highly recommend this hotel.

    5
« Great airport hotel location »

Shuttle to and from airport awesome, near Costco if you need things Great little bar and friendly servers. Have a breakfast buffet, but didn't do that.$9. Great in and out place to stay when you arrayve late and don't want to go into SF

    2
    « Unsatisfactory experience »

Hotel's website photos misleading the lobby is ok but the rooms need major TLC. The hotel is not clean at all..The price is too high for what they offer. For someone needing to stay by the airport the location is close to the airport and you get there in 10 minutes. The food service in their restaurant is good. The servers take good care of the dining room, constantly wiping the tables and placing service.

    4
    « Excellent for a stopover »

We arrived late at the airport and it was a big advantage that there was complimentary shuttle bus to the hotel. The reception was very friendly and we could get in the bar a cold beer. Although the room No. 221 was older and had traces on the carpet, but the beds were very comfortable. Annoying was the noise from the highway. The window closed not correctly and cold wind blew through the cracks. Although the air conditioning worked well but also made quite a noise. The internet in the room was free and fast. Although the breakfast buffet the next morning was not huge, but contained everything you needed for a normal breakfast. The coffee from the machine was very good.

    « Pleasantly surprised »

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel, and this Best Western Plus met our needs price wise, but surprised us with the all around service especially in the lounge area. The location was ideal, and it was easy to access from airport to the son and daughter in law who live in San Francisco proper. We would recommend staying a this hotel, and plan on staying here again in future visits to San Francisco area.

    5
« BEST HOTEL IN SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO »

We totally enjoyed our stay at this Best Western Plus property. The room was large; the bed was comfortable and the location is close to the airport. The Shuttle service is dependable and convenient. Besides, you can't find a better managed hotel with friendly staff.

    « One night stay »

I stayed there because it is locate very close to the Airport. The hotel has a lovely Bar/Restaurant and this was the main criteria for choosing this facility. You can have Dinner and a few Drinks without driving anywhere. Good place to stay. highly recommended.

« Housekeeping Woes and dishonest staff »

We checked in rather uneventfully and went to our room. Upon unpacking, we noticed a bar of soap in the shower that very clearly had pubic hair on it. We took a picture with our iphone and immediately went downstairs to the front desk. We very discreetly and professionally showed the photo to the front desk staff. We told them that we were leaving for a few hours and asked that housekeeping go back in and PROPERLY clean the shower. We returned 6 HOURS LATER and the bar of soap was still there. Housekeeping was in the room because they emptied the trash (we had thown away a soda bottle and miscellaneous papers) but did not touch the shower. We were inconvenienced again because we couldnt shower or go to bed because we had to wait for housekeeping. We had an issue with a lost iphone. We used the computer in the hall around the corner from the front desk to check on our flights. When we returned to our room, we realized that one phone was missing. We immediately went back to the computer and it was gone. We inquired at the front desk, tried calling the phone and using the "find my iphone" app and no luck. We returned to the room to seach again then went down to the front desk to ask a differerent front desk staff member if anyone had turned in a phone. We saw a gentleman in plain clothes (jeans and casual shirt) leave from a back office behind the front desk and turn down the business hall and out the side door just as we were showing the front desk rep where we left the phone. Within seconds, the missing phone called my phone. Of course I didnt answer in time. I called right back and a gentleman answered. I very firmly exclaimed that he had our phone and we needed it back. He said he was leaving the hotel to take is son to school and would be back at 10 am. I said that was unacceptable and that we werent waiting until 10 am. He then asked if we were hotel guests to which I replied yes and also said that i was in the lobby. He said "oh" and drove his car around the front of the building. We received our lost iphone. The next day we checked out and this same gentleman was walking thru the lobby, this time in his best western attire and name badge. He briefly talked to us socially then came back and said he recognized us from the lost phone incident. He further said taht he heard that we were upset. I told him that we were concerned that he had our phone and that it wasnt turned in to the front desk nor was the front desk even notified that he had found an iphone at the computer. He then said that he had it safely locked in the back office and that they turn over found items to the housekeeping supervisor and that person wasnt in yet. We left the facility even more upset. If the phone was "securely locked in the back office," then WHY DID HE CALL OUR PHONE FROM THE MISSING PHONE FROM HIS CAR OUTSIDE OF THE HOTEL?????????

    « Great Airport Hotel »

Probably one of the best airports hotels I have stayed in. Big clean room, friendly staff, shuttle service to airport, and reasonably priced. We ate in the hotel restaruant with really good food and the most accommodating staff of any place I have ever eaten. Very long check in line, but it was a Saturday evening with lots of people flying out on Sunday. Even with the long check in process, the staff was friendly and patient with every customer. Would definitely stay here again.

« good hotel for airport stay »

We stayed here for 1 night because we had an early flight out. It was perfectly fine for the night. We were not able to have the free breakfast because we left before it started. I dididnt understand why they needed to charge for parking when they have a huge parking lot available

« Great place to stay!!! Very kid friendly!!!! »

My family stayed here for 4 days, and couldn't have been more pleased! We have a 15 month old, and found it difficult to find a hotel in downtown San Francisco that was kid friendly, but wouldn't break the bank. As we started looking further away from downtown, this hotel showed up in the search. After reading all of the great reviews, I booked our trip, hoping the hotel would live up to the reviews. It did!! Our room was clean and well kept. I wasn't afraid to let our son walk or play with his toys on the floor. The queen room was a good size. There was more than enough room to maneuver around with a pack-n-play, and all the luggage that comes with a family. The breakfast was great! The hot items were different each day of our stay, and they had the usual staples too. We ordered from the downstairs restaurant one night of our trip, and the food was great too! We drive our vehicle into town each day, and had no problems finding reasonably priced parking. Don't let the location away from town deter you from staying here. I read hundreds of reviews on probably 85% of the downtown hotels, and I wouldn't stay at any of them. Safety is a top priority for me and my family, and I definitely felt safe staying here. We will definitely be staying here for all San Francisco trips in the future!!

    « such a pleasant surprise! »

I booked this hotel due to the proximity to the airport and only stayed one night. However, after 3 nights at a much higher priced hotel I was so delighted at the Best Western. The staff was helpful, pleasant and caring. The room decor was updated and very clean. Loved the 42 inch flatscreen, free wifii and refrigerator in the room. Full breakfast was a nice surprise as well.

« Long San Francisco weekend »

The family and I made a nice weekend trip to San Francisco for the first time and picked the Best Western for its location to the train and routes into town. It was so convenient to stay there and it was not far to anywhere in town. The room was extremely comfortable and clean and the staff went out of there way to be friendly. We will be staying there again in future trips.

    « Good for a short stay »

We stopped here one night. It's close by the airport and they provide shuttles every 30 minutes to/from the airport. The staff is friendly. There's a McDonald's across the street and two blocks away is ihop. They provide breakfast. My hubby and I were very tired and got in late. There were 3 strands of hair in the bathroom sink and near the tub. Other than that our stay was perfect for our needs.

    3
« Good location but noisy (from traffic) »

The hotel was convenient and has an open air pool. Free transfers to the airport on a shuttle (every 30mins) that is shared with other hotels. Our room was tiny and dated but the staff were helpful and allowed us to keep it until 4.00pm checkout. Quite expensive.

    4
« Excellent Service, Fair price, Room Ok »

I really liked the excellent and friendly service. Always helpful for any questions (going out, luggage etc.). Restaurant serves good food (friendly service). Breakfast: Good, reasonably priced food. Surroundings is noisy but you have to expect that if you stay overnight in the near of airport. Free Shuttle Service available to Airport and back every 30 Minutes. Room is big enough and ok. Avoid rooms near vending machine and elevator (noisy).

    3
    « Good value »

Hotel is located near the airport and is a good value. Shuttle runs frequently and is a good option for an overnight visit. The workout room is small but adequate. The business center has two computers and a printer. The restaurant and bar have a good selection of food and drink. The front desk was friendly.

    « business trip review »

Staff was very friendly. They even price matched after the price drop. The only reason I am rating the room was poor because room was very small but more importantly I was booked executive suite but was offered a very small room. Annoying factor is there is a lot of traffic and other noise due to which I couldn't sleep well.

    4
    « Good airport hotel »

This hotel was clean and comfortable. Everything was in working order. We stayed here to be close to the airport for an early morning flight. The cost was ungodly likely because the date coincided with a CISCO convention. All costs in, it was nearly $300 for an airport hotel for one night. At other times the cost is much less. My fault, but try to avoid this time of year if you can.

« GOOD BANG FOR YOUR BUCK »

Don't let the exterior of the building fool you, the inside has had a recent remodel and is very nice. When you consider the prevailing rates in the area this is a very good option that provides a free limited but nice morning breakfast as well as free shuttle to airport.

    5
    « Cant fault it »

Stayed here on a stopover as part of my honeymoon. The service was brilliant. The rooms were nice. Nothing special, but very cosy. After getting there late, we went out and got pizza that night and brought it back for dinner , there was no problem in doing so. Also, there was a breakfast the next day that pretty decent for a budget hotel breakfast. I would recommend for business or stopovers

« Service, over and above »

The hotel is clean and inviting. The staff go out of their way to make our experience a positive one. The bed is comfortable and the breakfast is awesome! It is also a quick jaunt to the airport. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

    « I was impressed »

I've never stayed at a BW before and was surprised by the accommodations. I will be back! Awesome people, great hot breakfast, room service was reasonable, quick, super impressed. I'm a Hilton guy but after this experience I will try BW again.

    « Conference stay »

I chose to stay here because the conference I was attending said they had a block reserved for a lower rate. It was full and I had to pay full price but agreed. After only 1 night, I chose to leave because it was to noisy to sleep. The noise continued all night. I left the conference early and I explained to the front desk why. They did nothing to make it right. I left and will not go there again.

« Conveniently near the airport with direct connection to San Francisco center »

Hotel is very well located near the airport. Check-in staff and other staff in the hotel were very friendly. Rooms were OK, looked clean, but I had problems with my allergies due to the carpet (I have this problem less in some hotels)... The restaurant only has a small choice for meals, we stayed for 2 days and I don't think there was anything else on the menu we would have ordered if we would have stayed longer. The meals were OK, good quality/price. The area did not seem to be cleaned properly in the morning, as I still saw a slice of lemon on the ground... Breakfast has quite a good choice and variety. If you stay on the main street side of the hotel there are load noises from the outside, but replacing all windows would probably mean that the hotel would have to increase the prices. In the room itself we heard the 'annoying' bell from the elevator all the time, it is quite loud (our room was located 5 doors from the elevator, so I do not want to imagine the noise if it would have been in front of the elevator). A shuttle takes you from and to the hotel - airport. Our drivers seemed to be in a bad mood all the time. When we returned to the airport with our suitcases, the driver refused to pick it up and told me to put it in the back of the shuttle myself because 'too heavy': he didn't even touch the suitcase. Arriving at the airport he did take it out himself, only to slam the suitcase in my leg without apologising... Maybe it wasn't his day, but I could have done without the bruise on my leg. Overall I would certainly stay again in this hotel for our next visit to San Francisco. But do realise that when taking the train to the center you are at least en route for 1 hour.

    5
    « Close to Airport »

This hotel was very convenient for an early morning flight, besides a good price. They had breakfast available at 6AM. The room was nice with free Wi-Fi; the staff was friendly. We would definitely return.

« Our Best Western Grosvenor experience »

I asked my friend to book me for a 3 night stay at any hotel in Shan Francisco and hIs best choice was Best Western because it was near the airport. At first i didnt like to be near the airport as it was far from the city and downtown but I was wrong. We were welcomed by the staff and they taught me and the hubby how to take the BART and the cable car from the hotel via a shuttle back to the airport bacause there is a bart station there. It was a breeze and we didnt get lost. We were able to go to the Fisherman's Wharf and the Union Square not worrying how to get back to our hotel. Next is their breakfast. Although it's not like a buffet from a 5 star hotel, I must say that it was good. Everything was in order and i just love their sausages. One thing though are the beds and the pillows. The beds were too high and the pillows were too small like the size of a throwpillow. All in all i would say it's a good hotel.

« Best Western Plus Grosvenor Airport San Francisco »

Very nice hotel close to the airport, very clean rooms. Full breakfast included with price of room. Desk staff are very knowledgeable about the local area. IHOP restaurant next door to hotel. Shuttle bus available.

    « great staff! »

Shuttle service exactly what I needed. Front desk people were very friendly, professional and helpful!! There was an overall smell to the hallways and the rooms that indicate they don't clean very well and or shampoo the carpet often enough. It was obvious by the crumbs on the room floor and the disgust in the bathroom that the room had not been cleaned very well if at all. The breakfast was ok, but could have been better. A waffle maker would have been great!

    5
« Great place near the airport, ok breakfast »

The hotel was mostly excellent - clean room, hot shower, right next to the airport. We only needed it for one night before our flight back home, and it was perfect for us. The complementary breakfast was ok, nothing more. The selection was ok - scrambled eggs, pancakes, bread and jams, pastries, yogurt and some cereal - but none of it was tasty.

    « Fit the Bill »

My mom and I stayed here for 4 days. There was a BART park and ride 6 minutes away, so we took that into San Fransicso. The actual city is so expensive, I had to figure out a different option. Our room was cheery and clean, and everything worked properly. The beds were a bit hard, and made some kinda silly noises when you first get I them. We had a two double bed room. There was a fridge, and glassware provided. We probably could've asked for a microwave if we wanted one. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. The linens were clean, and there were no weird smells. The hallways are kept up. The restaurant downstairs has a surprisingly well set up breakfast buffet from 630-10. No lunch service, but they served up a decent dinner starting at 5:30. Room service available from 530-1030pm. I was delighted to find an In-n-Out 3 miles away, as well as. There was also a really good, clean IHOP just north of the hotel. You could walk there. The view from our room was nothing to look at. BW is right next to the freeway and the airport, so it's pretty loud outside. The windows in our room were well insulated, but the pool had zero ambience, and was surrounded by lots of noise. We skipped it. Everyone working there was very courteous and accommodating. Check in and out was very easy for us. The parking lot had plenty of well lit parking. I'd stay there again.

    3
« Overall Nice, But Beds were a Bummer »

We booked this hotel for two reasons. The park and fly option and the fact that they have beds, which we needed after and before a very long trip. There were three of us in a two bed room. The beds were reported to be queens but they were definitely not queens. I will be asking for a room with a king on our next trip to this hotel. Because we really only used this room for one night and only to sleep in, I found the value to be low. The staff, service and breakfast were all above average.

    2
« Uncomfortable bed and pillows; musty smelling room »

The first thing that I noticed was the musty, "thrift store" smell upon entering the room. We decided to ignore it, but it was impossible to ignore the uncomfortable bed and the pillows that collapsed into nothing as soon as you put your head on them - new ones are badly needed. The only reason I gave this hotel two stars instead of one is because of the location, which is conveniently close to the airport. Of course, you will have to contend with a lot associated noise from planes and traffic...

    « Rude Desk Clerk »

I have stayed at this hotel over a dozen times before I leave on business trips to Asia. It is nice to be close to the airport so I don't have to fight traffic and the park and fly is convenient. However, tonight 10-7-15, I called to make a reservation and the person I spoke to was so rude. I purposely called directly to the hotel and did not use the 800 number since they had my Rewards and credit card info. She was rude when inquiring about the day of the reservation (arguing that tomorrow was Friday when it is Thursday) and especially rude when discussing the rate. I told her I had found a lower AAA rate on the internet site and she told me there was no AAA rate. She said to go there and hung up. I have always found this hotel to be clean and nice and enjoyed staying here but I am now going to try the Holiday Inn across the street. I don't need to have someone treat me terribly before I leave on a stressful business trip.

« Third Stay at location »

This is a very solid Best Western location, centrally located, good freeway access with solid amenities. The breakfast here is one of the best for the chain. The staff is very helpful and professional. Some further policy of the floors for smokers is needed, however.

    « Close to airport »

Within easy reach of airport with curtsy shuttle bus. Staff were friendly but not that helpful.Rooms were clean and tidy ideal for a few nights stay.used shuttle bus to get back to airport and then Bart into city center. Fixed price taxi from hotel was around $50 but erratic driver added to the experience but not everyones cup of tea!

« Grosvenor Airport Hotel is wonderful place to stay. »

A very comfortable hotel with a great location close to the SFO Airport and excellent shuttle service. Staff are very attentive, friendly and lots of fun. Especially the ladies working at the bar...they made us feel really welcome & gave great service. We'll be back the next time we're in San Francisco.

    « A Great hotel for travelers!! »

Let me start by saying that I am rating this hotel from the view point of a traveler that needs to get from point A to point B, and park the car. Check in was simple and easy. The parking for our vehicle was safe and well lit. We stayed one night, and parked the truck for eight nights. Upon returning to SFO, I was tired, and did not want to drive home. We decided to stay another night. Again, everything was easy. The shuttle to the airport was efficient and on time. The drivers were friendly and helpful. The two nights that we stayed at the hotel was very restful. The hotel may be a bit older, but everything was in order and comfortable. The rooms were a bit small- but it didn't matter. We were there to sleep, shower, and park the car. The rooms were comfortable. The best part of our stay was eating at the "Brass Elephant", the eatery in the hotel. We sat at the bar each night. Our bartender, Stephani, was absolutely awesome!! She made great drinks, provided great service, and has a wonderful personality laced with the perfect amount of humor! The food at the Brass Elephant is very good. I will stay at the Best Western Plus Grosvenor whenever I fly out of SFO.

« Close Proximity to SFO »

We chose to stay here due to the close proximity to SFO, and the shuttle service offered to the airport. Pleasantly suprised at the very close and easy proximity to the rental car return! The hotel is just a little tired, and the room small, but adequate for our single night stay before heading to SFO. The shuttle service is convenient. The hotel dinner was good, the breakfast, the usual fair.
