Best Western Sonoma Valley Inn & Krug Event Center

For a weekend visit to Sonoma where we were on the go the whole time, this location was just fine! Actually, we had a fireplace in our nicely appointed room, comfortable beds and private bath room. The courtyard also offers a pool, hot tub and steam room that we were not able to take advantage of. They do offer in room coffee and a quick breakfast in the hotel lobby, but you are likely in Sonoma for taking in all of the tastes, sights and sounds and will by-bass the lobby offerings. The location for this hotel cannot be beat. You can walk to the Sonoma city square just down the street. Great value, Great location. We were there for the first weekend of March 2024.

We checked in at night and no one mentioned that there was major construction occurring at the hotel. In addition, we were given a room right in the middle of the construction which started 7:00am and was VERY loud. The staff was rude when I tried to talk to them about this.

Awesome gem just off Sonoma Square. Beautifully remodeled large rooms, with fireplace. Gorgeous grounds, perfect location, walkable to everything you need. Pool, large spa, steam room, gardens. Lots of parking space, pet friendly.

We stayed for one night as we were on a road trip across CA. Great location - we were a very short walk to the town square, which is filled with restaurants, stores, wine tastings and historical sites. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. When we booked the room, they said they only had room with a queen with a roll away but when we arrived they were able to switch us to a room with two queens. It was pouring while we were there and they provided umbrellas. The room we had was very recently renovated, so it was tasteful, light and clean. They provided a light breakfast though we went across the street to an excellent diner. Terrific hotel - would totally recommend!

Room 209 was great! Comfy beds, quiet, overlooking the adorable courtyard and pool. Amazing walking distance to fabulous Sonoma town square, train town, nature trails, Whole Foods, great toy store across the street, hop monk brewery. Highly recommended!

Kendall Comfort thank you for your response to my review. Your Trip Advisor spot advertises free parking. I suggest you change that. It's the principle of the $5.00. Also, it's the principle of offering rooms for rent that you know are dirty.

The first impression of this hotel was that we needed to pay $5. a day to park during our stay. Really? To park in your spots. Not a “resort” fee as this place is not a resort.. Our room was quite spacious. The furniture was a bit worn. The carpet though……absolutely filthy. Embarrassingly filthy, actually. Your free breakfast is a selection of stale bakery items or some dried cereal. Also, teeny cartons of yogurt or a peeled boiled egg. The floor in that room was disgusting too. I hope the people behind the desk get well soon. They were both coughing very badly. That added to the ambiance…… Don't waste your money here.

The property was ok. But the carpet in the room couldn't have gotten any dirtier. Went to breakfast which didn't have a lot of selections. The sofas and chairs were as dirty as the floor in our room. The only clean chair was a wooden one. We visit here twice a year and this is the first and last time we will stay here.

Most recent visit was between Christmas and New Year's. Hotel is a block away from the main Sonoma town square and a short drive from several wine tasting rooms. Love the location and for that area the rates are reasonable. There is also a Whole Foods across the street. Our room was recently renovated and had a microwave, small refrigerator and modern shower.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Conveniently located across from Whole Goods. Decent room. The heating system seemed old and decor nothing to write home about. Great hiking nearby. Jack London Park wonderful excursion with fascinating history and great staff.

If you're looking for a great place to stay that's close to the plaza, dining and shopping, while seeming like you're a world away - this is it. The inner courtyard and gardens with pool, hot tub and steam room - heavenly. An oasis in the bustle of the wine country.

Loved the location right off the square, pool was nice, patio area near pool was great in evening and coffee in the AM. Walkable to all of downtown, the square, restaurants, the Old Mission, Tuesday was farmers market and music in the plaza.

Short walking distance to historic square, supermarkets, restaurants, etc. Great room size, pool, hot breakfast, Internet. Eating breakfast outside in the tranquility garden was really nice. Offered everything we needed.

Room was dark, dingy and the carpet was horribly stained and dirty. I am pretty sure there was black mold in the bathroom sink as well. One tiny window was all there was for natural light. They should be ashamed for renting this room out let alone charging the price we paid of over $750 for a 2 night stay. Rest assured that does include the $5 daily fee for parking. The breakfast included over preserved muffins and frost bitten breakfast sandwiches that you microwave. In addition it is obvious by the lack of eye contact, smiles and any greetings that the staff is just about as happy to be there as you are. Don't waste your money here, find any other option.

Nice hotel. Very comfortable, large room with lots of space. Very clean. Needed a little tlc on the flooring and the shower curtain. There should be a blanket in the closet for the hide a bed. Breakfast was a simple continental style breakfast. Nothing fancy and started at 7- a little late for us. And didn't realize we would have to pay an extra $5 for parking.

We were traveling in the Sonoma area to visit some wineries, that are close to the City of Sonoma. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We find it within 20 minutes of the wineries that are close to this city, and the downtown location means we can walk to all dining locations while we are staying at the hotel.

We made a reservation and unfortunately, we had to cancel it. The hotel deducted twice the amount and never returned it. Despite several attempts to contact them, they never replied. Stay away from this place.

We chose the Sonoma Valley Inn based on its location and price-which are both good. That being said my husband and I both felt the motel fell short on comfort and welcoming hospitality. I think the staff meant well, but their choice of words lacked graciousness. When checking in, we were informed that breakfast was available in the lobby, but we had to take the food someplace else. It's as if the inn's rules/procedures are more important than making the guests feel welcome. On checking out when my husband inquired about the $5.00 parking charge, he was informed that while it was not specified online, the $5.00 charge was included in the quoted price. Odd. The room was clean and spacious, but the bed was not as comfortable as I have come to expect in hotels/motels. Also rather than providing nightstands for glasses, water etc., there was a shelf about 4 feet above the bed. Not good. We had to use the electrical outlet in the bathroom area to charge devices. Interestingly, our friends who also stayed there, asked our opinion at lunch. They had the same reaction! The devil is in the details!

Excellent location. Very nice considering it's a Best Western. Lovely room with plenty of space. Coffee, Fridge, Safe, all my checkmarks. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. We had stayed here years ago and it is good to see the quality has been maintained.

We picked this hotel primarily for its location in Sonoma and its reasonable pricing. You will easily be able to walk to restaurants, wine tastings on the square, and shops. Also able to get to several wineries if you have a car in less than a half hour. Room was spacious and clean. It also had a little patio that we could sit and drink coffee on, and accessed directly to the pool which was lovely. Fireplace in the room was also nice but really not something you can use in July! Breakfast and lack of a refrigerator in our room is what lowers the review.

Enjoyed our trip to Sonoma. Location was perfect to walk the downtown area. I would stay here again. Inside courtyard was a bit noisy late at night however the room location was close to all the amenities. Staff and the other guests were very nice.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The manager showed me where they hid the mini fridge; under the bathroom sink.. which would have never thought to look for if I didn't' ask. However, when comparing prices of other Best Westerns all within 20 miles of this one, the price was double

I wrote a review yesterday it posted with 1 star it should have been all stars ⭐️ we stayed june 13 to 17 of 2023 and had the best time ever the staff was awesome and hotel was clean and super accommodating and the location is the best!!! The review was titled fun in the Sun!!! It was a birthday party and family reunion and Father's Day celebration and we were supper glad we stayed at the best western it's always the best!!!!

I've stayed at this hotel three or four times in the past and was satisfied with the prices and accommodations. This time, however, I was very disappointed. I paid $400 more for the same room for two days, room 127. I needed a room, so I paid it. My bill came out to over $1,000. Last time it was $740. I was willing to pay that, but on Sunday morning we were woken up by a loud continuous sound at 6:30 am. It sounded like hundreds of people going up and down the stairs continuously. It lasted 20 minutes and I could not get to sleep after that. Because I stayed awake the night before until 1:00 and got up at 6:30, I ended up being tired all day long and it was a family celebration- my 70th birthday. All my relatives came to Sonoma to see me and I was tired and irritable because of my poor night's sleep. Paying over $1,000 for two nights is barely acceptable, but then not sleeping on top of this was extremely disappointing. The desk staff, although nice enough, acted as if they had no idea what noise I was referring to. I will not stay here again and will definitely not recommend Best Western to anyone.

I was so tired from lack of sleep that I could not enjoy the 70th high school reunion on the plaza the next day, and was not able to socialize with some of the other activities planned. Because of all the noise above my room, it was impossible to get any sleep or rest. I did not call the officed at that hour because I was hoping my roommate slept through it, but he didn't..

Great hotel in the center of town! We stayed in one of the rooms in the separate building at the back of the hotel. The room was huge! The bed and pillows were comfy and it was in easy walking of everything. We will definitely stay here next time we visit Sonoma!

I wasn't expecting anything amazing being that it's Best Western and very reasonably priced. Chose it for the awesome location and amenities. However the pool and hot tub are closed for renovations and that would've been nice to know beforehand. The hot tub would've been great after walking all over town on this rainy weekend. But our room was nice with a fireplace and balcony and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was quiet and the courtyard that the rooms overlook is charming and full of greenery. Continental breakfast is average at best. But the coffee cart next door is AWESOME with great people running it. My biggest complaint was the ambiance in the rooms- lots of empty's walls and the LIGHTBULBS- Ick! Harsh bright LED lights, zero warmth to the lighting. I replaced two lamp bulbs within an hour of arriving (handy that CVS is right across the street). But they need warmer light to make the rooms feel more welcoming and comfortable. It'll help offset the lackluster decor, instead of shining a harsh light on it, literally. All in all- we'd go back (lightbulbs packed lol) and we'd bring our dog now that we know they're pet friendly!

I will not stay here again. There was black mold growing in the windowsill and more mold growing in the A/C Unit. Within 2 hours of being in the room I was so sick we had to leave (itchy eyes and skin, nausea, migraine, scratchy throat and irritated lungs). I know this wasn't an illness because within hours of being out of the room and showering my symptoms started to resolve and I was back to normal by the next morning. I located the mold in the windowsill and a/c unit and took pictures but still haven't been offered a refund (even though we didn't stay overnight and weren't even able to complete our trip because of how sick I got).

Enjoyed our stay here. Great location. We only stayed one night but room was clean and bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed the fireplace. We had our dog with us so appreciated they are Pet-friendly!

Great location for myself my wife, our 18 month old son and our dog, enough room for everyone to have a great nights sleep and so close to the Square. The breakfast was yummy and the hot tub was nice and warm.

Ooof. Our first night at this hotel, I woke up to pee in the middle of the night. As I turned on the bathroom light, multiple cockroaches scattered. Of course, I screamed and woke up my partner to help me track them and kill them, as our bed was just a few feet away from the bathroom. We killed the ones we saw but after the commotion, we couldn't go back to sleep. It was about 4 am. I was there for a wedding so I left around 7 am. My partner woke up got breakfast, tried to get some rest & called the front desk to try to resolve the issue. They offered for maintenance to come, so he agreed. After they hadn't shown up for a long period of time, he had to start getting ready for the wedding, and called them back to let them know he would be headed out soon and since he had been waiting awhile, that it seemed they didn't prioritize our issue. The next morning I began the laborious process of trying to receive a partial refund. We were met with suspicion and disbelief, even with the photos we provided…they refused to refund us because we didn't let maintenance in. The frustrating thing is we did try to let maintenance in, they just were taking too long, the damage was done (we lost sleep and killed the bugs we saw), and it didn't make sense to have them there the next day as we left early in the morning. They refused to refund us even when having evidence and we gave them plenty of time to make it right. I work in customer service, I can't believe how they would risk losing a customer over a $200 refund. I am telling you right now, avoid this hotel. And if you have bugs, you're out of luck because they clearly don't care! Oh, and when you see two cockroaches, that usually means there are a lot more there that you can't see.

I traveled with my husband on a work trip. We stayed in one of the Krug Event Center suites. What a wonderful room!! Huge. Sitting area. 2 TVs. Walk-out patio. Quiet. Courtyard. This would be a perfect place for a wedding or family reunion. In the main building there is a pool, hot tub and spa. Breakfast is very simple. Grab and go foods like you would have at home. There are several area restaurants within walking distance. A Whole Food store across the street. Friendly staff. Updates going on in several of the rooms.

Don't stay here if you need to modify the dates of your reservation! My original date had to be changed due to my sick dog and they charged me $75 to make the change. The second reservation had to be changed because friend tested positive for Covid & they told me I couldn't make any more changes & id be charged the full amount. I could understand if I had to cancel my reservation completely but I was just changing date. I will never stay here again. Plenty of better options in the Sonoma/Napa area.

This is a cozy, friendly, and accessible hotel that you will love. The breakfast was excellent with especially good coffee. On Friday, there was wine and cheese for the guests which was very enjoyable.

You can't go wrong with the Best Western, if you're looking for a hotel near the square in Sonoma. Self-parking is free. Rooms range from regular to fireplace/balcony/jacuzzi. Our last visit to the hotel was in 2018 and a few things have changed since then. We booked one of the suites in a separate building at the rear of the hotel. The room was spacious with a balcony, sitting area & fireplace. In the past, a complimentary bottle of wine came with the room. This is no longer provided. Our room was definitely showing some wear and tear. The carpet was discolored, tile/grout were cracked & the bath exhaust fan was inoperable. We declined daily housekeeping. The housekeeper was very friendly and offered us anything we needed from her cart. The bed was too soft for my taste. Breakfast is provided in the lobby every morning. It is somewhat downsized from what was offered in the past. There is an onsite laundry. The adjacent gym has been eliminated. A receptacle for recyclables was not evident in our room. It wasn't until I checked out that I found out you need to call the front desk, if you want the firepit in the outside seating area lit. Sara at the front desk really came through for me. I left chargers for my electronics and my noise canceling headphones in the room when I checked out. I called the hotel to find that housekeeping had turned my belongings in to lost & found. After I emailed the hotel a shipping label, my stuff was promptly packed and returned to me. Happy ending!

Possibly the noisiest stay in a hotel I have ever had. First morning we got a surprise alarm at 5 am, we did not set that. All evening the first night it sounded like the people upstairs were coming through the floor. Someone with heels woke us up the second night at 2am clacking back and forth. The pot lights sounded like they were rattling out of their seats above our heads. Worst sleep I have tried to get, especially after paying over $350 a night, could not be more dissatisfied.

If your goal is to have a room to come back to after a long day drinking, this is it. If you want to have a little class while wine tasting, I'd recommend the lodge or a boutique hotel. The breakfast( hot coffee) was the nicest thing going for the early morning cold wake ups.

I'm so sick of Best Western's policy's. The room I booked was $50 less on the day of my stay but they wouldn't make any adjustment upon check in. THEN I tried to cancel another reservation that was one whole week out and when I called I was told I was 17 minutes too late. Disgusting! I guess BW doesn't realize there is a lot of competition out there.

I was a little apprehensive about staying here after reading some of the reviews. The hotel is older and I would agree needs some updating (like the carpet) I would agree the breakfast was not good. There was no fruit to be found, all I wanted was a banana. They had warmed up frozen breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches. You can hear people walking above you, so I wouldn't stay on the first floor if you are a light sleeper. With that being said, the room rates are very reasonable during the week and you can walk to the plaza and restaurants. If you are looking for a cheaper place to stay and are not going to be there very often, I think you will be fine. This is not a high end hotel, so I would lower your expectations.

Overpriced hotel with terrible breakfast, lumpy pillows and thin walls. Could hear the people upstairs walking around during the night/early morning. Certain staff was not friendly or welcoming. Seemed bothered when asking them a question.

Beautiful BW - located in a lovely quiet part of town, walking distance to town center. Well designed and landscaped courtyard offers a large hot tub (was always running), pool, and tables. Very clean inside and out. Whole Foods and attractive strip mall across the street offers easy snack, meal and drink options to pack out or enjoy at the property.

This is a real gem in the city. You could walk to Tasting Rooms and Restaurants and it had a nice breakfast as well. There is a hot tub and a steam room along with the pool. Went for Wine Tasting and this was a great location!

I almost don't want to write this review because I don't want my favorite gem to get too crowded. This property is such a steal I don't know why they don't raise prices! From the outside, it looks ok, but once you get into your nicely decorated room and look out your sliding door, you realize you have entered paradise. The inner courtyard is magical. WIth the pool, jacuzzi and sitting area, there is plenty to do but the plants make the atmosphere. Every room I have stayed in has a great view. The room themselves are spacious, comfy and well appointed. Microwave, fridge, fireplace and large bathroom are all excellent touches. I will never stay anywhere else in Sonoma. And the location, 1 block off the square is excellent! You'd be crazy to not stay at this spot!

Couldn't ask for a better location. Walking distance to Sonoma Square's shops and restaurants. Grounds are clean and well maintained with a nice courtyard in which to relax while sipping that purchased bottle of wine & crudités. The pool is an added attraction when weather permits.

My trip was an extended stay, although having to ask for my room to be serviced which was inconvenient, the staff was accommodating and pleasant! The Wi-fi connection was weak but the hotel stay was awesome!

Did not feel safe in hallways. Smoke from guests filtered into our room both cigarettes and pot. The halls were dark and some questionable characters hanging out. Children in diapers in the pool and hot tub.

The property is in a great location and the staff was awesome! The property was clean and comfortable. Definitely would recommend this location. The price was a great value for singles and families don't pass it if it's available.

We were able to upgrade to a suite at very low cost and what a lovely room. Large living area, balcony, fireplace and spa bath. The hotel is centrally located for dropping into Sonoma which is a beautiful place. The pool is lovely as is the courtyard and it also has a spa and steam room by the pool. Slight niggles was breakfast. Basic offering and very limited seating in courtyard, but this is only a minor thing and shouldn't distract you from staying here.

Travelled with my Wife for long weekend in Sonoma Wine Country. First, I booked non-refundable room 2 weeks prior. The day before i went online to Best Western site and saw the same room for $289.00 cheaper. I sent request to 100% price guarantee and was told I had to apply within 24 hours of initial reservation. That response sucked. Next, the room was dark, dark carpet and smelled dank, like overuse of chemicals for carpet? We kept the window open as much as possible. the internet was equally bad, constantly going off. The breakfast was... bad. No fruit, the breakfast burritos were frozen, and you heat them up for 3 minutes in the microwave, that was last cleaned in 1982. Bagels were old. Orange juice was in a carton suitable for a hobbit. The Coffee was like dark water. we picked up coffees at the small trailer next tot he gas station, next to hotel, it was much better. The facility has numerous personnel, out every day cleaning and they seemed pleasant and hard working. This was our first trip to Sonoma, i would not stay here again.

We used to love this hotel with it's beautiful courtyard and proximity to the square. However, the hotel, from the guestroom to the lobby, was so dirty and unkempt, and the courtyard poorly maintained, that I am sorry to say I don't think we will be going back.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Our room was very nice and had a fireplace. The hotel is only about 2 blocks from the city square so we were able to walk everywhere, which we really enjoyed. The outside eating area was very nice. Breakfast was a little sparse, compared to other Best Westerns we have stayed in.

Pros: Great location, just one or two blocks from Sonoma plaza. Nice, though dark room. (Maybe dark because we had a garden room). The hotel courtyard is very attractive and a nice place to hang out. The kids loved the pool. We would happily stayed another night or two. Cons: The Aircon was very noisy and kept switching off and on (5 min cycle), making it hard to sleep. In the middle of the night we shut it off and opened the sliding door to the pool instead. (which was screened) The breakfast was really limited, even for a continental breakfast, and not very good. Fortunately, there are cafes nearby.

The staff were so accommodating to us, we had contacted the hotel before booking with regards to leaving our vehicle and luggage as we would be arriving early and were going on a wine tour. They had no issues with this which worked out well for us. The room was spacious and also clean. Not noisy either, we were in walking distance from Sonoma Square which had a variety of restaurants available. Breakfast was included at the Inn and there was a variety of juices and hot drinks as well as cereals bagels and fruit.

Great experience! Excellent location right near the Sonoma Plaza. Rooms were clean and spacious. Hot tub was great. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely stay here again. Great value considering the location.

The WORST front desk experience. Not helpful, not friendly, won't let you check in before 4 so don't even try. Then prepare for a line at 4pm. Offer no wine glasses or wine openers despite being in the WINE COUNTRY. We usually like Best Western hotels for a less expensive option but would not recommend this hotel. Way better small boutique hotels around the square. To management: front desk staff not ok!!

We stayed at the Sonoma Inn for 3 days during a visit for a family wedding. The hotel is located near the square and transportstion. The room was very comfortable with all the amenities and had a small balcony overlooking a well kept pool and lovely patio. The front desk was very helpful . As well there was a wine and cheese on Friday. We would definitely return.

The rates are very reasonable for Sonoma. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast and decent, free Wi-Fi. Great location just a block from the town's main square, and across from a Whole Foods for basics.

Great location, good size rooms, and beautiful courtyard! Staff was friendly and helpful. The courtyard was lovely with Jasmine everywhere, fountains, statues, chairs, fire pit. There is a pool, hot tub and sauna. The main thing lacking is breakfast was not that great, they tried but it was comparable to a gas station quick bite. I appreciated the orange juice and coffee but the food was not that great but better than nothing.

Location was ideal, walking distance to square. The pool area was nice looking with grounds well landscaped. However, rooms were dirty, NOT updated and the AC unit was so loud ON/OFF that sleeping was marginal at best.

If you are looking for an "affordable" Sonoma property in an excellent location - this is your winner. This is the place to stay if you are coming to the town of Sonoma for an event weekend and won't be in the room that much. The location is excellent in that you can walk to the Sonoma plaza. Pros- -Staff was welcoming and on top of it. -Nightly happy hour and breakfast each morning were staffed by nice hotel employees who were friendly and helpful - Courtyard, hot tub, and pool area were clean and cute - they did a good job here - You can walk to the plaza!! - The price is fantastic for Sonoma Yes, the rooms are not super updated and older - but they are clean.

Older hotel located near the square in Sonoma. The rooms are very dated and need an update in a bad way. The courtyard by the pool was actually very nice, and the employees all seemed to be pretty nice. The breakfast was frozen burritos and some muffins/such. Not impressed overall.

We came here for our anniversary and liked how close it was to the square. When we got back from dinner and went to bed we noticed the bed frame was covered in dust and cobwebs. The wall also appeared to have water damage. We called the front desk, and rather than apologize they told us they were booked solid. Not once did they apologize or try to offer a solution. Do not stay here. Photo of the washcloth is from wiping down the bed frame.

Beautiful, clean room. Grounds were lovely. Staff was friendly and efficient. Not a fan of continental breakfast. Would prefer sit down hot meal. Short distance from the square with lots of great food options and fun wineries to visit.

Had a great stay at this hotel. Somewhat dated rooms but very clean and comfortable. Whens the last time you had a working fireplace in your room. What a great feature to have. Nice pool and hot tub area. Close to the city square, loads of shopping and dining. Great value and a great stay.

Super friendly staff and the location a couple of blocks from the town square access to the wineries can't be beat. Very Clean facility and a courteous staff. A super plus for us, they are Dog Friendly! For the $$ it can't be beat.

Unbeatable location, right next the square and across the street from Whole Foods. The pool and hot tub were so nice! And a bonus sauna! Wish we could have stayed longer! So much to do in that area. We 10/10 recommend!

This place is old and dirty. The furniture is in despite of being replaced. The floor looked like it had not been vacuumed in a while. The sheets and towels were cheap and scratchy. It had an in-tub shower with an old curtain that I made sure didn't touch my body. After one night of a 3 night stay we checked out and went someplace else. They charged us in full for the remaining two nights - we are still waiting for the manager to return our call. Best Western should be embarrassed to have their name on this place!

The worst breakfast we have ever experienced at a Best Western Hotel and we have traveled extensively, including many International locations, staying at many Best Western Hotels. If not improved, we will never utilize these premises again. We travel to Sonoma often, so I'll make a point if stopping in to check the breakfast offerings.

They have the cheapest rate per night when we were looking for a place to stay in Downtown Sonoma. Location is excellent. Walking distance to the restaurants and attractions. The place is clean and welcoming staff.

Greedy business owners and they are mean! Beware of 7 day cancelation policy. My wife got covid and we tried to cancel 4 days before arrival on a busy holiday weekend but the manager Kendall Comron refused to refund us even though they were able to re-book our room almost immediately. So they get paid twice for a room!! I checked and they were sold out that weekend. Check out the El Dorado hotel instead, they are super friendly there and have a great restaurant too.

We experienced several issues, from check-out to security. The rooms could use some maintenance, super thorough cleaning. The location is fantastic, but it's not great value to cost. More attention needs to be paid, in general.

This Best Western is located one block from Sonoma Town Square. The rooms are large and have all the amenities you could need. Breakfast was COVID safe and coffee was good. Had a little trouble with wireless, it kept sending me to a secure site so I couldn't log in.

The title says it all. We are Diamond level members and have stayed at Best Western properties all over the world. This one is in a great location, but staff overworked or under paid. Blamed basic amenities on Covid but we have stayed at multiple Best Westerns during this time and no other property had these excuses for missing items and terrible customer service.

Parking was a little full. Rooms are nice staff was friendly. Hot tub and Pool area clean and nice. We will stay here again. Its is in the town so lots of stuff around to do. Also close to Sonoma Raceway. Street parking for truck with trailer.

Do not stay at the Best Western in Sonoma. The management at this hotel does not care about the guest or property. The property is old, there are sketchy people around the property and the room cleaning is subpar. The breakfast is not fit for human consumption

Need to replace the dirty, stained, worn out 80's carpet in the guest rooms! It was so bad that I had to wear shoes and lay towels on the carpet. The high rate charged for the room was not commensurate with the low quality of the room.

The over all stay was ok, not much to complain about. I did have a couple of gripes. The best part/s: the size of the room the jacuzzi and the fireplace, the moon suite was extraordinary in a general sense, very spacious and I loved the open concept of the room, w 2 private baloconies that are to die for. The OK part/s: it had ok breakfast and ok service for breakfast, some items weren't displayed until we had to ask (beagles) and the lady when she did pull em out was checking them for mold which did not inspire much confidence on the age and quality of the food. Another ok thing was the over all suite had some places where there were cracks whether it was the walls or the “jacuzzi metal” parts they were flimsy (like the nobs to turn the water on and of) the suite def needs some TLC, the dual shower heads were amazing but the space in there is for two skinny ppl for sure. The poor part/s: I would say is the cleanliness of the room in general it was clean, but if u didn't look under the bed u wouldn't have seen that it probably hasn't been vacuumed in a bit, the jacuzzi when we turned it on for the first time it had floaters and some dead bugs. Which after a rinse were gone but not what we expected from a Moon Suite! All in all the experience was better than OK but not a OMG IM ONLY USING THIS HOTEL WHEN I COME TO SONOMA GREAT! Yeah for the amenities and price it's a great stay but the amenities offered were not on par w the look the hotel is trying to put forth. The thing that broke the camels back, was I think when I called the front desk Ron said that he couldn't get me another fire place log bc of inventory back up issues and that they only had them 1 per suite at the moment, he then suggested I go buy one my self… so if the hotel had them in stock it would be no problem, but bc of “inventory back up” I have to go out and BUY one my self. That seemed a little like they are trying to give the image of a champagne worthy place w a beer budget. The experience was just not complete. We were satisfied w our stay but there was def a lasting impression made that was not necessarily all good. Kind of a bitter taste in some cases.

For the price, and to have a fireplace was exceptional. The fireplace set a relaxing mood for the evening. Location is close to eateries. There were a couple of things that did not function properly, but they did not affect the experience.

I group of us selected Sonoma to celebrate a birthday and do wine blending, wine tasting and dinner, This hotel was close to the main square and lots of nice restaurants. The rooms were bright. Carpets a little worn, there was a pool and hotel,but it rained so we left those to younger braver souls. Everything worked well we got parking just outside of the room. We have stayed here many times and hope to do so again

Easy, efficient check-in & check-out processes; very kind & helpful stuff; convenient breakfast options; clean facilities; great value while staying in Sonoma & visiting nearby areas. Within walking distance of the historic Sonoma Plaza, and directly across the street from a shopping center (Whole Foods, restaurants, shops, &more). Super convenient location!

Walking distance to the centre. Great outlay of the property. Great courtyard with swimming pool and hot tub. Rooms are big, some with fireplaces, the provide wood. Quiet. Breakfast was basic, because of Covid. Staff very friendly.

We were pleasantly surprised to find such nice accommodations. The whole setup was very inviting. The rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The linens were in good shape and not stiff and scratchy.

We loved the suite. Very roomy with a huge jacuzzi pool. Enjoyed the fireplace. The only downside was the stairs. Not a good option if you have any walking issues or heavy bags. The room was like a studio apartment.

We stayed at the Best Western Sonoma on November 15-17, 2021. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The location is great while staying in Sonoma. It's a block or so from the restaurants around the square. We were able to walk to dinner, which was a plus. It's right across the street from Whole Foods if you want a quick snack. Really enjoyed our stay.

The B W Sonoma Valley Inn is the perfect place for a getaway to the wine country. It is centrally located. You can walk to the town center and to several wineries and restaurants. The property is well maintained and clean. The staff very professional. We could find nothing wrong and can't wait to go back

I did not have high expectations due to reading other reviews, but we had a wonderful time! Love the room, very big, loved the fireplace! Can't say enough about what a relaxing trip we had! Location is amazing. Will go back!!

Rooms were not updated, but most importantly they were clean with comfortable beds. Service by staff was excellent and light breakfast was included even though it was not a BW Plus hotel. Great value for the money in wine country.

The Best Western Sonoma Valley looked good on line but I was a little wary before arrival. The unassuming exterior hides a very pleasant experience. While old, the rooms are nicely updated and we took advantage of the in-room fireplace. The room was fresh and clean. The courtyard was a great place to have breakfast and catch up on email. We didn't us the pool and hot tub but they appeared to be clean and well maintainge.

Archaic booking process and shady staff, all leading to guests being cheated. Please read the reviews and filings with the Better Business Bureau before dealing with this hotel. Reported issues were completely dismissed by management.

Our room was right near the laundry. No access to pool, seemed a first floor rooms had access or a balcony. Windows would not open , problem was the air conditioner was so loud, we had to sweat it out all night.

The staff was welcoming and provided excellent service throughout our visit. Extremely clean and well appointed rooms. The support staff was courteous and gracious and the front desk personnel were exemplary.

Beautiful clean motel in Sonoma CA village. Everything within walking distance. Beautiful grounds. Spacious rooms. Clean and staff are very attentive. Only issue was the the Internet did not work in our room and breakfast was a bit cramped.

We had a terrific experience at this hotel. It was so convenient to be able to walk to shops and restaurants, and even the Whole Foods across the street! It was very quiet, and we absolutely loved the interior courtyard with hot tub. The grab and go breakfast had more options than other hotels we stayed at on this trip, and we enjoyed eating our breakfast in the courtyard. The only drawback for us was the uncomfortable bed, but we would definitely stay here again!

This is a follow up to my recent review. So don't go through snap travel. But with that being said there are goods and bads about staying at this place. First the good stuff. Our room was very large and very private. The room had everything we needed and more. We had a small kitchen area, two TV's. There is a large bathroom with double sinks and jacuzzi tub. We were pleasantly surprised. The check in clerk was friendly. We did have a problem with the TVs but they came and fixed it right away. We also loved the court yard. Nice pool, nice hot tub, and beautifully landscaped. Such a nice relaxing place to be, Now for the bad. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The mattress was to soft and both my husband and myself had backaches everyday when we woke. It helped that we could sit in the hot tub in the courtyard. But it was very uncomfortable and we were there to enjoy ourselves. The carpet in the room needs to be replaced. Maybe with some laminate flooring or something. The carpet is stained and buckling up in areas. I was a little surprised they would have a carpet in a ADA room. Also, I wondered if they had pets in this room in the past. I got bites on my feet a couple of times. Felt like flea bites. I tried not to walk around bare foot but at times that can't be helped. Also the breakfast was a grab and go. It could be better. Mostly prepackaged. That could be because we are still in Covid times. It's a nice place with a good Location but needs some up grades. To the carpet and mostly the mattress. I would certainly stay here again if those upgrades were done. I would also go through best western or the actual owners to book. For the Owners my name is Terri M. Stayed in 311. Sept 6-12.

Although we haven't stayed here yet we are starting out on a bad foot! We booked through Snaptravel and they sold us a room we didn't ask for. We aren't in need of an ADA room. It was never told to us this is what we were getting until we got the printout of the room. When I notified Snaptravel they just said they wouldn't refund or change anything because it was non refundable . I didn't want a refund or to change anything. I just wanted what I paid for. So we called the hotel. They also wouldn't change it. Said it was because it was through a third party. Although this could put a damper on our trip, which is by the way is our 31 st anniversary. I won't let people without any understanding of customer service ruin our time. I'm a nurse and I work each and every day taking care of others. It's upsetting that after a year and a half of not taking a break. Because of the pandemic. I finally take one with my sweetie and we are treated like this. So much for appreciation of all the medical professionals that have taken care of everyone over the last 18 months. Just don't use Snaptravel! And we will see how we are treated as to if you should stay at the Best Western Sonoma. So far they aren't doing very good!

This was a surprisingly nice place where the outside is hiding a truly wonderful place to stay. Angela (sp) did a nice job of checking us in and taking care of our needs. The only drawback is that the place a little dated and probably in need of new carpet, but otherwise this was a perfect place to stay and we highly recommend this BW.

absolutely loved how hotel room let directly on to the pool area! not to mention room was huge and came with fireplace and living room area! Hotel was ideally located less than a block away from the heart of down town sonoma!

We were dropping off our son at sonoma state the day before his birthday so we decided to stay the night and celebrate with him. The location was absolutely perfect. We walked to champagne tasting and then to dinner. The room was clean and had enough space for my husband, son, and I. We will definitely be going back!

The location is great, and the property is generally clean, but the room was not in good repair. The carpet was worn and ancient, there were holes in the upholstery cushions, the walls are in desperate need of paint, and the bathroom tile dated and in need of repair. The bed was comfortable, at least. Until there is a major renovation, we will stay elsewhere.

The location was wonderful. We could walk to many good restaurants and stores. And tours can pick you up at the hotel. The price was very reasonable so that we could use the saved money to buy more wine.

Hotel very well laid out; entry doors are on the exterior of the buildings facing parking & the rooms open to patios-balconies that face inwards to the courtyard, pool hot tub & steam room. Downstairs rooms have gate access to the courtyard pool area. Gas Fire Pit very nice to gather outside. Courtyard closes at 10 pm. A short two-block walk to the plaza - or look for the little foot path alongside the Krug event center at the back of the property - this puts you right on 1st st west and 190 feet from plaza! Black bear diner ( A+ breakfasts ) & whole foods grocery right across street. Sonoma Market a few blocks but worth the effort. Clean spacious room, comfy bed and super nice staff. A+ + +for our family!

Staff was totally indifferent and non responsive at this property. We stay at BW all the time and this was by far our worst experience we have had. There is no elevator to the upper floor and if you have mobility issue such as we have, staying on the upper level is a real problem, The staff at this property could care less. I would not recommend this motel if you have mobility issues.

Enjoyed staying here. Very good location, very clean. Only problem is parking. Lots of « workers » staying here so parking was extremely difficult with all their large work trucks. One night there was no place to park! Noisy when loud families party in the courtyard till late hours, not a fault of the hotel, just inconsiderate people who scream with crying, yelling kids. Good restaurants nearby, with a Whole Foods right across the street. Would stay here again, love the convenient location.

The rooms need new carpet, furniture and cooling systems. Better shower heads and less scratchy bath towels. The room was clean and it was nice to be able to walk to Sonoma Square for restaurants and shopping.

The Sonoma Valley Inn was a nice place when we visited 18 years ago. This time we were forced to stay here because it was the only hotel with available space over the busy Mothers Day weekend. We had plumbing issues at home that forced us to need a hotel. The A/C blew hot air into an already hot room, and we could not open the windows because there were no screens to keep the bugs out. We were not told where to find their Grab and Go breakfast of a muffin, orange and oatmeal package. We ended up walking all the way to the far end of facility to the breakfast area noted on their information page. The bathroom was not bad but not the best. The hotel is just very tired and has not seen improvements in all of these years.

Great accommodations, some staff not as helpful and some maintenance problems we reported at check out. Cleaning staff missed some spots, but overall great place, location, amenities. Take away breakfast not really worth it.

We wanted a hotel that would be walking distance to the historic Sonoma Square, and this fit the bill. The hotel is not much from the outside, but the inside courtyard and pool area is lovely. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. Would definitely stay there again!

My complaint with the Sonoma Valley Best Western goes beyond anger. I feel like a robbery victim. Be aware of their cancellation policy; no exception is given for unforeseen events. In our case, a reservation was made and paid for in advance to the Inn before a medical emergency occurred (surgery). Additionally, a state-wide ban was issued by both governors of Oregon and California due to a spike in the pandemic in December/January 2020-21. Numerous attempts were made to cancel the reservation via phone and e-mail, but there was no response from the manager, Jack. I was ignored. There was no offer to do the right and honorable thing and either refund our $673.00 or postpone the reservation. We are a retired couple with years of travel ahead of us. As a result of this wretched experience, we won't be staying in any Best Western again. This policy means they could have rented our room and doubled their profit. Wow! What a racket!

We stayed at the BW Sonoma valley Inn due to its location right off the square. That is probably the only reason to stay there. We wanted to be within walking distance of a restaurant where we had reservations. Things to know- there are no elevators so if your room is on the second floor be prepared to lug your suitcase up the stairs. Inquire about breakfast because no one bothered to tell us that it was not in the breakfast room. We walked over and there was a sign on the door to get a “grab and go” breakfast from the lobby. Now that sounds like you could grab a breakfast, hop in your car, and munch on the way to your next destination. But no, your bagged breakfast included a dry packet of oatmeal. So it is really a “grab and go back to your room and boil some water” breakfast. Other items in the bag were a tangerine which we ate and a muffin which you could eat on the go if you are into eating pastries for breakfast. Other less than optimal aspects of the experience were an overhead heat lamp on the very chilly bathroom ceiling that did not work and a remote for the heating system that was next to the TV remote. We discovered it when we went looking for a way to express check out. Without the remote you have to get down on the floor to control the temperature. Bed was comfortable, internet worked, shower was okay and the location is good!

My posts/reviews normally are quite positive however, I must vent. 2019I booked at Best Western Sonoma Valley Inn & Krug Event Center for a stay during a wedding. I did know that the prepaid trip was not refundable, however when days prior to my trip, Napa/Sonoma was without power. YES, PGE cut all power to the area. The wedding was moved to San Francisco and I canceled my reservations. The Reservations Manager would not refund me but he did give me a credit if I stayed there. Then COVID hit and I did not travel. Now there is silence from the Hotel. I called and they could not find any information on my reservations. I happened to check an old computer and I did find all the documentation. Called them to discuss with no return call ...for 10 days. We are talking about $750+ they have kept of my money. Hoping others take note...

We always get a room in the spa suites when we stay in Sonoma. It is very close to shops and restaurants. I've seen a lot of negative comments, both here and on yelp, but I personally have never had a problem here.

Other than the heating system not working and them taking a long time to make it right and the manager didn't even apologize or anything, it was okay. The room seemed clean. The room was big. The courtyard seemed abandoned and not taken care of.

We have stayed at this location twice now and it's really so nice. The location is perfect because you can walk downtown to the square. The rooms are spacious, the bed is comfortable and the pool and jacuzzi area is beautiful! Usually there is a great breakfast included, but because of the covid restrictions this time it wasn't available. The only thing that could have been better is that even though we requested a fireplace suite, there was no firewood or gas lighting available. The guy at the front dest said that they were out of presto logs. Usually it is a fantastic place and location. There is even a Whole Foods directly across the street!

After a long backpacking trip up north we chose to stay here because of the jacuzzi tub. BEST DECISION. It was clean and comfortable and brought us back to life. The rooms decor needs an update but it was more than efficient. The bed was super comfortable and the balcony was a nice touch. Grocery store across the street, super close to everything in downtown Sonoma, I would stay here again for sure.

I needed to get out of my house and away from my housemate but did not really want to go far. I always liked Sonoma's downtown. This hotel is one block away. The rooms were spacious, clean, and priced well. The entire complex seemed in good condition. I just wish COVID had not closed down the hot tub and the sauna/steam room.

Just horrible! We gave the hotel 4 months notice to cancel our wedding block due to covid and they are not returning our deposit or those of our guests. The manager was arrogant, condescending and rude. Book at your own risk. We have been treated horribly and been dis-respected. They offered credits and when we explained we went thru with a small wedding he said that's our choice and the deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances. Read yelp reviews too. Awful to people during the fires and covid.

I would warn against booking with this hotel right now. They charge your credit card RIGHT AWAY but if your plans change and you cancel, they take 60 days to refund you. They hold your money 2 months with no interest paid to you. Because they are independently owned there is no one you can elevate it to. I asked why the process hasn't changed knowing people's plans can change with COVID, the manager basically said its how he's staying in business. This changed my view of Best Western. I'll never book with them again.

I'm reviewing their customer service, since I'm not staying there. Contacted them to try to change my reservation dates by one day, and the manager Jack/Jake was incredibly condescending. He made me feel like he was doing ME a favor by allowing me to stay at this hotel (at a higher price for the different dates no less, which was understandable; his attitude was not). I can't imagine people are knocking down the doors trying to get reservations at a mediocre Napa Valley hotel in the middle of COVID and the worst fire season in recent CA history. My experience with him left me with a bad taste in my mouth, so I cancelled and took my business and money elsewhere.

We reported road work crew starting at 7:45 right outside our balcony door. We were not informed upon checking in or given a discount. We should have been given the option of a different room. The hotel staff only cares about filling rooms not the satisfaction or comfort of their clients.

If you want to just park your car and walk to everything in downtown Sonoma this is the place to stay. Great location, lots of free parking, nice pool area and lovely rooms. Greatly appreciated all of the USB plugs in the room. Due to covid there was no breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Courtyard is beautiful. And rooms just need a little upkeep and deeper cleanings. Especially now every inch of rooms should be scrub between guess and some of the dust I found in places is a long time of buildup and worries me.

We were looking for a getaway spot close to SF with a pool that would be as safe as possible during the pandemic, and the Best Western Sonoma was the perfect choice. We wanted a place where you could enter the rooms directly from outside without traversing interior corridors or worse, elevators! We asked for a first floor room with easy pool access and were given a room right by the pool which was ideal as we could access the pool directly from our patio, and easily access our room from the pool to use the restroom, rather than using the hotel's pool bathroom. We came Weds-Sat with the hopes that the pool would be less crowded than the weekend and it worked out perfect, while it got more crowded after Friday's check-ins we were able to get some nice pool time in when it was not at all crowded. We also appreciated that we had the option to request housekeeping if we felt it necessary, while we did not choose to have the room cleaned during our stay some hotels we have looked at during the pandemic don't even give you the option, even for a stay over a week long! The Best Western Sonoma's policy was perfect for us, and was explained in a letter given to every guest at check in, which the unfair one-star reviewer who was "very unimpressed" clearly did not bother to read, and they also have clearly not traveled anywhere else during the pandemic as not cleaning the rooms automatically is a national best safety practice even at the most luxurious 5 star hotels during the pandemic. The rooms were tastefully decorated, well kept up, amply sized and spotlessly clean. There was a couch sitting area with coffee table, desk and chair and outdoor patio as well as the two queen beds. We liked how the sink was outside the toilet and combo bath/shower. There was a fridge and closet, two luggage racks, and drawers to put our clothes in. Big flat screen TV. They removed the coffeemakers from the rooms due to the pandemic, but you can request one in your room and know it is clean. There was no microwave which we missed, though I did not not ask about that at the front desk as I did not see that in the room amenity list on tripadvisor. I did find the texture of the sheets distractingly rough on my legs, but was OK after I started wearing leggings to bed. If you are texture sensitive or spoiled by high thread count sheets at home like me, I recommend bringing long pajama bottoms to sleep in. The bed was otherwise comfortable. The pool and outdoor dining areas were gardenlike and pretty, the interior patio grounds were very green and well tended, with relaxing fountains at each end. The outdoor dining area had 4 tables with umbrellas spaced far apart, which was great for eating takeout from the Black Bear diner across the street, on the corner (Black Bear was open for indoor dining if that is something you are comfortable with). I saw staff at the hotel cleaning the outdoor tables numerous times though we brought our own disinfectant wipes to wipe down before use just to be extra safe. There was also a Whole Foods, bagel place, and an asian restaurants in the strip mall across the street, though we only tried the bagel place out of those. There were a number of nice restaurants within walking distance with large outdoor patios. The Sonoma Grill and Bar was very close, Della Santina's was a bit further of a walk, both were quite good and both had nice large patios that felt safe to eat at. Della Santina's was especially romantic and picturesque. Sonoma Square is quite close walking distance and makes a nice place to stroll or eat a picnic lunch, or ice cream from the homemade ice cream shop on the Square. If you are accustomed to the buffet breakfast at Best Westerns do be aware that due to the pandemic that is not being offered. You can get a "grab n go" bag with a small apple or orange and a granola bar, and coffee or tea, but that is it, so if you need more to eat in the morning like my husband and don't like to have to go out to buy breakfast, you might want to bring a box of cereal and some milk or something. Again, some hotels we have stayed many times in at the past that normally serve breakfast are offering nothing at all during the pandemic, so I was glad they at least made an effort to provide something. All in all the Sonoma Best Western exceeded our expectations, we think the manager and staff are doing a fantastic job at a most difficult time for hotels, and I feel so bad for them seeing the recent unfair one star reviews on this site. If you are looking for a great, convenient, affordable getaway that feels safe during the pandemic I highly recommend this place. We've already booked our next stay here and recommended to friends who may be planning their own getaway here as well.

I made an hotel reservation on Thursday June 25th 2020. I stayed at this hotel two previous times. On this date my wife felt ill and had to cancel day of the hotel visit. I made this reservation with 20000 bestwestern points. I called the hotel to see if someone sick during a pandemic could cancel I was notified nothing He could do and points would be charged. I called coperate bestwestern and they stated they would send email to site about the situation. On Monday June 29th. The hotel refunded my points. but charged me 125 dollars. management stated under new policy they could cancel points and charge my credit card. Management also informed me it not their responsibility to inform guest they could cancel points and charge at their privilege at rack rate. I was my responsibility to keep up with change in hotel policy. I stay in 50 to 90 hotels a year this worst service I seen with keeping guest safe with sick guests. (There is a pandemic). Management was rude and chaged the rules and ignored corparate. I have disputed charges with Cooperate and American Express if you care about your safety stay away until pandemic is over. They forcing guest to arrive even if sick. I will follow up on the results on this dispute. Johnnie Powell

I got a suite for for 2 nights. Assuming that the room was going to be cleaned during the day, we went out. When we came back to the room It wasn't cleaned. I called the front desk and asked them why and they said because I did not requested it? I was not told that it was my job to request to have my room cleaned daily during my stay here. Unimpressed.

this hotel is extremely situated: easy walking distance to several very good to excellent eateries; a very good grocery store and bank across the street; a gas station at the corner for getting gasoline if needed; and just a block away from a nice waik to a historical site; and a few minutes to the charming park of Sonoma--and tons of wine tasting venues. The hotel itself is well-kept, the rooms immaculate.

The front desk (customer Service) at this location is rude and unwelcoming. We will never stay at this property again. I would recommend staying at a different hotel or even the best Western in Petaluma.

The hotel staff was not welcoming and did not attempt to address needs of guests. The hotel is not disabled friendly as it does not have an elevator. Hotel staff was stuffy in demeanor and consequently assigned guests to the worst room location which was difficult to traverse as the room was very distant from parking area and difficult to transport luggage. As this property is located in the Wine Country of Sonoma guests would expect better treatment and a welcoming attitude which was sorely missing.

Because of COVID-19 the wedding which I was traveling for was canceled. Even though before I booked I check the cancellation policy which said "guests may cancel at any time, as long as cancellation occurs least 24 hours before arrival, and the reservation is canceled on or before June 30, 2020". The hotel would not honor the National Best Western updated policy due to the virus. This cost my family $664 during an already horrible financial time due to the virus. My extended family and place of business will never stay at this best western or any other best western again. On top of everything, the manager on the phone the manager was abusive, condescending and pretty much heartless.

The hotel was clean, quiet and had a good breakfast offering and their rates are fantastic compared to other options in the area. Easy walk to bars and restaurants and at least one winery is in walking distance of the property. Will definitely stay here again. Do yourself a favor stay here and save your money for the area's great wine and food offerings.

This hotel is centrally located in the town of Sonoma a couple of blocks from the city square. It allows easy access to wineries in the Sonoma Valley (Hwy 12), Carneros region and Napa Valley. The facility was clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided in the morning had a good selection of items. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would stay here again on future visits.

Nice and clean rooms with nice facilities and a rather good included breakfast. Good pool arena, central location and very nice staff. When you see the price, it must be the best hotel value in Sonoma.

We picked the Best Western on price and were pleasantly surprised. The room was nice and the breakfast was a full hot breakfast with fresh eggs not powdered. The pool area looked inviting. We would stay here again on our next trip to wine country.

In Sonoma, there are traditionally some overly priced hotels with not much amenities offered. I stayed here for business purposes but fell in love with this place. They have a heated pool and spa right outside your back patio. All rooms I stay at here have a cozy little fireplace with a free Duraflame log to lite. The cleanliness was exceptional as I found no visible trash left on the property nor in the room. The pricing is a great value for what this place comes with, and it is conveniently placed near the heart of Sonoma for shopping and eating within walking distance. The bed I slept in was very comfortable and had no issues going right to sleep. The only recommendation I would make is to update some appliances (microwave, and lighting), and the couch. These were not in bad condition but could be a little more modernized. The overall experience was wonderful the staff and the breakfast were very satisfying. Look forward to staying here again.

We took and family trip to Sonoma with our 6 month old daughter. We love the Best Western! They have a delicious free breakfast along with wood burning fireplaces in every room. It is right on the square, so there are plenty on things (restaurants, wine tasting rooms, shops) within walking distance. Plus, there is a Whole Foods across the street. The manager started having wine tastings in the courtyard on Friday and Saturday evenings while we were there which was awesome!

We took a last minute trip to Sonoma, decided to stay at the BW. This hotel was great. Right in the center of town, walkable to shops and restaurants. The hotel was well equipped with great amenities and fantastic staff.

We wanted something within walking distance to the Sonoma plaza and the Best Western is in a very convenient location to do this. Even though it's on a bit of a busy street, the rooms are tucked back and were completely soundproof. Our room was spacious and clean, the staff said "Good morning" to us as we passed them in the halls, and the hot tub/pool area secluded and inviting. Breakfast was a huge spread of delicious fresh options and the room was spacious. The Krug conference center looks like a great place to hold a small meeting - 3 conference rooms from what I could see - all in a building across the parking lot from the main hotel. I would stay here again and recommend this to anyone staying in this area. Prices are a bit higher than you would pay in Santa Rosa but its proximity to wineries, great restaurants and other interesting parts of Sonoma is worth it. Thank you to Paul for his special attention to our reservation - and to all of the staff for making it such a pleasant visit for us.

Made an incorrect booking and tried to contact the manager for corrections. A waste of my time - after several calls and countless email over a month, still no response or reply from the manager. We will take our family and business another place, hope he sleeps well and karma be with him.

Very surprised with the quality of the room. Breakfast had everything we wanted. Bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles, pastries, muffins, juices, coffee, fruit, smoothies, cereals, and more. Parking was available, directly in front of our room.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Best Western Sonoma Valley. The location is perfect for being able to easily walk around Sonoma Square to enjoy the wine tastings, restaurants and local shops. The room itself (Room #231) was quite spacious with a comfortable King-sized bed. The fireplace was a nice feature that we took advantage of one night. The sink is located outside the bathroom, making it easier for multiple people to get ready in the morning. The breakfast provided was quite good each morning and always kept well-stocked. All employees we interacted with were friendly. We'd highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Sonoma.

Nice place to stay in Sonoma. The hotel was well priced and a easy walk from the town square and numerous restaurants. Breakfast was good but I would have liked the food a little hotter. We had an issue with a few things in the room and they were corrected by the next morning. We would consider staying here again. Lobby offers coffee, tea, hot chocolate and water at all times...nice when you come in at night and want something to drink.

My wife and I stayed there Jan 17/20 in one of their suites. I think it was 316, but am not sure. The property has many things going for it, but we will never stay there again. The room has a fireplace with one of those fire logs. Just light it with a match they supply and it will soon become engulfed. Also handy by are instructions that say, amongst other things, “do not move the log”. We did not. We were woken up by a fire alarm and the phone soon rang. They sent somebody up and he arrived about 15-20 minutes later. During the interval. I had become affected by the smoke and felt sick. I opened up the front door and lay down outside the room. The fresh air felt good. The employee arrived and stepped around me. He did not ask how I was, let alone ask if I needed medical help. I was not drunk. I hear him talk to my wife and blame the improper placement of the log on housekeeping. Nonsense. This was a training issue. When he left. I had managed to sit up, but I was still outside. All he said upon leaving was “good night”. When we checked out the next morning, I, I calmly expressed my displeasure to the male employee on duty. “Sorry” is all he could manage at first. Then he offered “to take a few bucks off”, which was 20%. For Maki me sick and stinking up our room? Entirely inadequate. Isn't this the state where people sue for whatever? They should have at least offered to refund 100% of what we paid. We will not stay here again.

Really pleased we chose to stay in Sonoma as part of our California trip. This hotel was great and well priced. A few minutes walk from town and well located for exploring the local area. The room was great and had everything we needed. Staff were all friendly expect the grumpy old lady who initially checked us in. Ron on front desk was very helpful and friendly when we decided to stay here another two nights. Breakfast was good but I must admit i wish they would vary the items as i was desperate for a change by day 3. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a great experience at Best Western Sonoma Valley Inn. The room was clean and well-decorated. There was a refrigerator in the room. The hotel is close enough to walk to restaurants, bars and the downtown square. The fireplace in the room makes a nice touch. Our only complaint was the furnace/AC unit was very loud. So loud that when ours was off, I could hear the one in the neighboring room turn off and on. I tried to just leave the fan on permanently, but either it wasn't possible or I couldn't figure it out. However, our friends stayed in a different room further down the hall and they had a newer unit in theirs that was much quieter, so hopefully, they are slowly changing these old noisy ones out. The pool area is great. The jacuzzi is surrounded by a large gazebo and there are a couple of gas fire pits with chairs to sit and drink all the wine you just purchased! Overall, it was a lovely experience. We just had to turn off the furnace to sleep better the second night.

This Best Western has a rustic, romantic feel. There are fireplaces in the rooms and the first log is free. We spent time in the hot tub. Great pool/fire pit area. Good free breakfast.The best was Ron at the front desk helped us with a surprise early check-in at 10 am before our 10:30 wine tour bus arrived. We'd expected to have to wait until our tour ended at 5 pm to check in. Thanks, Ron! Also, this hotel is in a great location near the square in Sonoma with easy walking distance to the area's best restaurants and a few blocks of the fabulous Sonoma Market.

I enjoy staying at Sonoma Valley Inn Best Western. I can check in early to stow my luggages when available and head to work without thinking of missing my check in at usual 4pm time. I get off late and too tired to do paperwork.

This hotel was very quaint. Sonoma is a kick back town and the atmosphere at the Sonoma Inn didn't disappoint. The room was clean, we could keep it warm and cozy, bed was great, one of those high beds so if you are short, you may need a step stool, and breakfast was fantastic! I would have liked a double sink but we got by. There is a fireplace but we didn't try it out. We were in a lower unit and parking was convenient.

We had a great time at this hotel. The amenities were wonderful. We liked having the access to the gym offsite. The breakfast was yummy, the grounds were clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating!

Amazing breakfast!!! We stayed here last year and came back this year and one of the primary reasons was the excellent healthy breakfast provided. Great choices including smoothies and chia pudding with some of the more usual fare like bacon and eggs and waffles Everything was VERY good! Nice room with a fireplace,view and location for a reasonable price. We will be back!

Can't beat the value for this hotel, especially the suite. Large room with king bed and in room hot tub. Very good continental breakfast with two hot dishes and a small smoothie bar. Lots of free parking. Best part of this hotel is the location. Only two blocks from the hotel square.

Sonoma Valley is a place you could spend several laid back days to see everything Sonoma has to offer.. lots od great accomodation in this small town. We rented a car and we're able to travel around the outskirts of the town also. There are plenty of restaurants in the area to reach everyone's taste. Hotel accomodation was fantastic. Dear Customer Care You don't seem to care. Your information is not correct. The internet was not working, and the front desk kept telling me it was because of the rain. I contact your customer support at 12:37 800 676-1415 . for 15 minutes and they did troubleshooting to determine that the internet at the resort was not working, it was not my fault. The opened a ticket number and told me a supervisor would contact me. Then I got a phone call 1:34 from another technician 800-676-1415 for 18 minutes did another round of trouble shooting to determine that the fault was at the resort, not my computer of phone. They said they would send a technician out to fix it. I assume they did, because the next day everything was working, my phone and computer. I am still in the hotel, same room, and writing to you from it now. The resort is correct, it is working NOW - but only because I spent half a day on the phone with the front desk (8 am and 11 am) with them telling me it was the weather or I didn't know what I was doing. Then from 12:30 to 1:34 with technicians so that it was eventually fixed. I spent nearly six hours so that the internet was fixed - with no help from the Front Desk. This is not acceptable, and your customer care is not customer friendly

Maybe not the most special room in wine country. But as I said in the title the room was really clean and the hotel is really well located in the heart of Sonoma walking distance to restaurants and tasting rooms. Room was a good size and if it was warmer it had a nice balcony overlooking the pool. But since it wasn't warm the fireplace stocked each night with a duraflame log was a really nice touch. Price was a steal for wine country. I only didn't give it a 5 star rating because the heater was pretty annoying. It come on and off all night and when it came on it was pretty loud. And a few other minor issues. It is a completely pet friendly hotel which made us nervous having an issue with fleas at a different and much more expensive hotel in San Francisco. But it was so clean you couldn't tell if a pet had stayed there. All in all I would stay there again.

Our small group, my daughter, her two cousins and I had a two trip to Sonoma planned and we booked the Best Western Sonoma Valley Inn. Yes, the hotel is slightly dated, but the courtyard, fireplace in the room and delicious breakfast - make it up - as an excellent rating. Clean, comfortable beds. Friendly staff, close walking distance to shops and historical spots in Sonoma make this hotel a great place to stay.

We stayed only one night and we were on the ground floor. The noise from upstairs kept us awake most of the night and the room was very stuffy with no ceiling fans etc We had a very strong smell of deoderiser of some kind when we first went in the room and discovered that ALL rooms are pet friendly, not what we were expecting. Good location. Only a short walk to town square etc and breakfast was quite adequate

My husband & I spend a lovely day in Sonoma & had a great stay at the Best Western Sonoma Valley Inn. We came up from the South Bay to watch a screening of White Christmas. After the movie we relaxed in our beautiful Suite. Had a soak in the Jacuzzi tub & then relaxed on the sofa in front of a warm fire. Our room was excellent & the morning breakfast was very good & plentiful.

The hotel is clean with a fireplace. The staff is excellent , The hotel is in a very good location close to stores and cafes. I highly recommend this hotel. A lot of history in and around the hotel.A lot of activities to do, a lot of things to see.

Property was clean and comfortable. Outdated and plain. Overpriced at $300 per night after fees and having a pet. Not worth the over-all experience for the price. Breakfast was crowded and coffee was not good. Walk across the street to Whole Foods instead. Won't be back.

We had an amazing one night at the Best Western Sonoma. Due to my status as a Best Western rewards member, they gave us a complementary upgrade to one of their best suites. This room is awesome. We enjoyed the fireplace -Dura Flame log. One funny note is that it did set off for a few minutes the smoke detecetor in the room - so open the doors and wait a bit. We loved the comfy sitting areas, the dual head showers, the spa tub, the very comfy king bed. The outside areas at this hotel are superb. The include swimming pool, jacuzzi, nice sitting areas by outdoor fireplaces, and some very nice mural and other art on property. The included complementary breakfast is very good with many healthy options to choose from. The staff is very nice. In addition, the location is ideal. Across the street is a Whoe Foods Market and nice neighborhood shopping center. Its also just a few minutes walk to the Sonoma Town Square and Park area. We loved our stay and do plan to go back.

This hotel is located within walking distance of Sonoma Square. There are shops directly across the street and a diner also. The courtyard had a heated pool, beautiful hot tub and fire pit with tables and chairs. A great gathering place if you have a group. The rooms were clean and when I asked about a microwave, they had one delivered to my room. The service was very accomadating. I would definitely stay here in the future.

We stayed 3 nights. Location is wonderful as you are only a couple blocks from the main square. You are located across the street from Whole Foods. Breakfast selection is fantastic and plentiful. Rooms are spacious and the facility is very well kept. You can't go wrong starting here.

We chose hotel for price and convenience of location at the Vets Hall we were attending. Some of our friends chose a swankerer hotel/spa but I had as very satisfied with the quality of our room as well as the service. We shared a wonderful complimentary breakfast with friends who were also staying at the Sonoma Best Western and evening to advantage of the fire pit area to extend our conversation past the check out time. The staff was very forgiving and we are honored to recommend this property to others who are looking to book not just a room but a restful, convenient, friendly as well as elegant experience.

Have stayed at this facility several times over the last 8 years. The grounds are very well maintained and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. The facility is extremely convenient in that it is only about a 5 minute walk to the town Square and all the restaurants and shops. There is also a large market, and many shops and a gas station across the street. The included breakfast is of good quality with a large selection. The high speed internet is fast and reliable. The room are clean and well decorated and maintained. In addition the ground are beautiful and always very well maintained

Room was great, I don't think there is a bad room in this hotel. We loved the breakfast and eating area! Location was fantastic to a small mall with a grocery store across the street and Sanoma Square was a few blocks away. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful room and experience. Every part of the hotel surpassed our expectations. Breakfast was amazing. The ambiance amazing. Definite 5 stars and would recommend the Krug Center BW to anyone visiting Sonoma and the wineries.

This Best Western was not the motel you think of. This was a very comfortable stay, with a hotel/resort feel. It is an older building, but did not have that feel. Rooms were very quiet, and comfortable. Location to Sonoma square is perfect. The pool and hot tub area are very updated. The staff was awesome. Went with mother and sister for a girls get away, we all said we would come back again.

Great little hotel in a fantastic location. We walked to Whole Foods, the square, and Sonoma Market. No issues or problems with the room or with Customer Service. They even had gluten free bread at breakfast!

The room was so confortable, had bed sofa, writing desk ample bathroom. The bed was king the TV worked perfectly. Free breakfast, at the lobby coffe, tea chocolate, water all complementary. Sonoma Square 5 minutes walking. Places to eat or buy foid within walking distance. Need gas 45 second drive. Great location, really comfy, romatic hot tub or fire places in patio. Great rates! Will come back again.

I left a favorite and expensive designer dress in the closet when I checked out of the room. The dress then somehow “disappeared” after that. I believe someone on staff must have stolen it, as I know for a fact it was in the closet when I left. Also, the room was super cold (air conditioning in November) and it was very difficult to get the heater working. Kept resetting itself back to 63 degrees. Other than these issues the hotel was okay.

This hotel is in the perfect location to explore the beautiful town of Sonoma. There are lots of good bars, shops & restaurants in a short walk, the town square is all lit at night. It has a nice pool, good breakfast and free parking.

I thought I had done everything possible to insure our wedding party guests would not have to deal with room payment. I gave a credit card, I called ahead to confirm the situation and STILL they couldn't complete this simple task. I was asked, while driving out of town, to go to my email to complete the charges! When that couldn't happen, my guests had to pay for the room. They were held up and left in an uncomfortable situation. Shame on you, Best Western.

Stayed 3 nights in a room without a microwave. How am I suppose to heat my pizza from the night before. You have to go to the office or the breakfast room when open in the morning. We did have a fridge. I am just happy that the shower & TV worked. Just overpriced to stay here my bill for 3 nights came to $660. I know it sounds like sour grapes. I am a platinum member they should have upgraded me to a room with a microwave.

A really nice place. Well decorated with all the amenities. Central to the Sonoma area. Within walking distance to all the restaurants and some wineries. Staff was helpful. Highly recommend this BW! Just wish all BW's were like this one.

Thank you to the reservation clerk and staff by accommodating us so quickly and efficiently and applying as many discounts as they could so our stay was somewhat within budget. We disimbarked off a 3 day cruise from Vancouver to Los Angeles and drove throughout California and through Sonoma and headed to Seattle, then to back To Vancouver, B.C. We loved the suite we had here at your Sonoma hotel!

This hotel has the perfect location in Sonoma. It is a short walk to almost every place you need to go. A lovely pool and hot tub, big rooms with a small balcony. Convenient to wineries, and Whole Foods and CVS are across the street and Peet's Coffee is a block away. The breakfast was a bit plain -- not enough fruit and variety, but i couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Sonoma!

This is the only place in Sonoma that we will stay at! It is that good.The service is excellent and the pool was our favorite place to be on two very hot days. We loved the breakfast on all the days that we were there.

Had a road trip with a group. We met out by the pool area and and attendant lit the fireplace when it got dark. All the food at the breakfast was fresh and good. I really liked the beet purée. You don”t usually find something that healthy at a hotel breakfast. This hotel is really confidently located. You can easily walk to the square.

I had a great stay at this hotel. Free parking, free Wi-Fi, fire place in the room, and free breakfast, walkable location to explore the city center..all these make this a nice place to stay. The rooms are large and clean. The breakfast is pretty standard for this chain of hotel. My only complaint is that rooms around the pool area can get a bit loud at times.

The hotel is in a perfect location for walking into the town. There is a very nice pool area for relaxing around. The rooms are of a good size with nice balconies. Breakfast is included and provides a good choice of hot and cold food .

this was a great location in Sonoma. Only a few issues; limited parking and very weird reverse gates coming out of the rooms- meaning, needed a key to get out, not in - thank goodness there wasn't a fire.

This was the perfect little tucked away spot right on the square and in walking distance of wineries and restaurants and shopping. Free breakfast and wifi. Great pool and hot tub. Right across the street from whole foods and cvs too! Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff!

The room was spacious, and the bed very comfortable. We had a corner room with lots of windows, which was great. The room had a microwave and a space for a fridge, but there was no fridge there. Since we were only there for 1 night it wasn't a problem, but had we been staying more nights it would have been nice to have. The breakfast area was nice.

We split our time at this lovely hotel as we traveled the local area and our trip north to the redwoods.We stayed in room 220 the early part of the week and found it to be roomy, clean and comfortable.Fridge, mini kitchen, jetted tub the amenities we all expect. We stayed in room 234 on our return from Eureka. 234 was a standard king with fireplace overlooking the courtyard. No jetted tub but a truly comfortable and pleasant room, The facilities were relaxing with a pool, spa and steam room in the shaded courtyard which also had a fire pit for enjoying the wine we purchased. Complementary breakfast was served in their event center which also had a courtyard with fire pit. Outside sitting was available with outdoor heating. They had complementary laundry room with newish washing machines and dryers. Breakfast had choices of scrambled eggs, bacon.sausage, waffles, fruit and the normal cereal, muffin, oatmeal, etc. choices. The coffee they served was really good. This location is an easy walk to the square and there is whole foods grocery across the street. We found the staff at the front desk to be extremely helpful and responsive. I would recommend this relaxing and centrally located hotel. They did not have an on site workout room.

This place turned out perfect for us to stay with kids. Very good breakfast, neat and clean rooms, pool was a huge plus. Kids thoroughly enjoyed their pool time. Overall had an extremely conformable and stress free stay. Thanks to the Best Western Sonoma Valley Inn & Krug Event Center Team! Looking froward to our next stay there!

This Best Western has generously-sized rooms, beautiful grounds and pleasant staff. Do NOT stay near an ice machine as staff is deaf to the giant motor noise and breakfast, while ok for one morning, would be more enjoyable at the nearby Black Bear Diner.

This is a beautiful, clean hotel with nice pool and hot tub. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, and in excellent condition. Service is great. The best Best Western I've stayed in. Amazing value too.

Stayed one night while visiting wine country. Staff at check-in was lovely, room with fireplace was terrific. Able to open a window is a huge plus. Breakfast had all options you would need. Convenient walking distance to downtown Sonoma. Whole Foods across the street if you want to pick up food to eat in the room. Rooms are a bit expensive, but it's summer in the wine country. Would definitely stay again.

This was by far the best hotel for Sonoma. Staff very friendly and helpful. The courtyard/pool area in the center of the rooms was perfect. Our room on the second floor was a corner room and it was beautiful, the windows offered great views and plenty of space. Would highly recommend this hotel and you get breakfast!!

For the price I paid I expected better quality, nicer amenities, and friendier staff. Is it expensive in California or am I expecting too much? Downtown Sonoma was lovely and it is a nice stroll to that area.

The hotel is located downtown Sonoma which makes it great to walk to many of the local wineries. The rooms are a decent size, but it's worth to upgrade to the suites as guests get a bottle of wine and enjoy a nice balcony view of the neighborhood. The breakfast spread is also worth the price as it includes hot food (eggs, bacon, waffles) along with the usual breakfast foods. It's a great property for a good price.

We stayed here for a couple of nights. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. They have a central courtyard which is a lovely place to relax of an evening. Coffee/Tea maker in room. Breakfast is served in a seperate part of the complex (Krug Centre ... just next to the hotel ... 2 minute walk). The buffet breakfast was excellent. Staff were polite & helpful. All in, I would definitely go back.

We were in walking distance to the Sonoma Plaza, it was perfect. I loved the garden feel of the pool and breakfast area. The rooms were large but could use some sprucing up, but good price for the location. Had a mini-fridge and fireplace with matches and log provided. We stayed two nights, the pool was well utilized. We used it in the evenings. The first evening was very nice and mellow. For the second night there were some drunk women talking loudly so not very relaxing. The hotel staff is very good about closing the pool/hot tub area at 10 p.m . Be sure to ask for a map of the Sonoma Plaza, nearby wineries, any wine passes available, any monthly winery specials- these were all great amenities but I had to ask for them. Also, I was not told about a bike rental rack right outside of the lobby area, I just happened to see it- so that could be fun.

This is a really nice hotel in an excellent location in downtown Sonoma. There are many restaurants in easy walking distance, and lots of parking available. Staff was very helpful. The breakfast was very good, too.

BW Sonoma was a great location. Walking distance to Town Square & restaurants. Rooms were clean, staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast area was nice, selection was good. Did some work there and wifi was very efficient. Wish they had a fitness room

The staff are all friendly accommodation is really great and the amenities are also good. I would recommend this place with no hesitation. It also has a good location from the town centre I would say a slow 5 minute walk.

My friends were visiting from East Coast and hadn't been to Wine Country before. They wanted to go to Napa, but I convinced them Sonoma was better. I just happened across Sonoma Valley Inn as I had not been there before. We were both so pleased with the accommodations! The pool, hot tub and sauna looked so appealing (sadly we didn't bring bathing suits) the room was clean and fresh! Being so close to Sonoma Square is a bonus! Loved our stay and hope to be back in October!

Front desk interior design looks more like a motel but the staff was amazing and friendly and the room was beautiful. The fake fireplace was a bit cheesy but we enjoyed it ☺️ Was a great place to start off a trip to Sonoma and appreciate the walkability!!

We spent four restful nights at this Best Western located a short two blocks from Sonoma Square which is arguably the center of the action in town. Restaurants, bars, shopping, even wine tasting are minutes away by foot. There's a back-way from the hotel to the Square down a dog walk path located next to the Krug Event Center. Easy! The location is so good - we parked our car and it didn't turn a wheel for two days! That's a vacation... The physical facility is in need of updating and renovating. The room interior is 1970-ish. The layout is odd with the bathroom sink area directly inside the room's outside door and directly in the narrow pathway to the toilet/shower area. The room was a good size and it was comfortable.The place was dead quiet and we slept soundly every night. The "free" breakfast is on par with the typical mid-quality hotel. It's nothing special and the eating location is a touch inconvenient as it's in the Krug Event Center which is detached from the hotel and at the back of the parking lot. The location and sleep quality were 5-stars. The decor and food were 3-stars. So 4-stars it is!

We stayed for four nights in May 2019. King room with couch, coffee table and chairs was huge! Great location for walking to shops and restaurants. Free coffee, tea, fruit and granola bars in lobby. The included breakfast had nice selection of items. Free washer and dryer to use. All in all a good place to stay and would definitely book it again.

We can see it won't be everybody's cup of tea, but we just like the place. It is very conveniently located, one block from the main square. The ground floor rooms are large and ours was a few steps from our little patio area to the pool. There is plenty of foliage about that makes it charming in some respects. Our room was kept very clean and the breakfast was good, given that it was included. We would certainly return.

The motel is an average room but it does have free wi-fi. The breakfast can accommodate any tastes or diets and is free. The daytime staff were great and gave us maps and suggestions as needed. There is a grocery store across the street and also a 7-11. It is a one block walk to downtown, which is why I chose to stay here - no driving after wine and dinner! For the actual room, it was clean, but tired and I guess in Sonoma you are going to pay a lot for wherever you stay.

The location is great as it is within walking distance to the town center. However, the bedroom doors are exterior. The room was clean but a bit tired looking. The worst part is however that the pillows on the bed are thick and stiff and 4" to 6" thick. When I called the desk to ask for softer pillows they answered, "No. Those are the Best Western Standard issue pillows for The Best Western." So.... we will never ever stay at a BW hotel in the future.

The Best Western Sonoma Valley Inn is a beautiful property. All of the rooms have a view of the pool/sitting area. Walking distance to the town square the has bars, restaurants, & wine tasting. We will return to this location again!!

Our room wasn't ready when we checked in at 4! Waited over an hour.. Room was Filthy, dirty ! From scratchy sheets , lumpy pillows, noisy a/c, stained ceiling near old old ceiling fan.. Looks like blood splatter..! didn't have time to take a photo.... Dirty dirty carpet! Had to lay towels on carpet to walk across the room! ! Disgusting! We had the handicap room and we we are not handicap....The furniture is old dated , dirty. The decor pillows and fabrics on sofa and bed so old dusty and dirty! Cheap old and dated tile work in bathroom! Cheap shampoo soap lotion. Not to mention the early 6 a m noise as breakfast is being set up across from our room. All this for $450/ nite!? We should be credited back money! Although BW are individually owned and operated, some kind of franchise... Never again Best western.. couldn't get outa there quick enough! to get to our rooms we had to walk and haul our luggage across the back parking lot . We were party of 3 , with 3 rooms. .. no elevator to floor two! We had just come from glamping at Mendocino Grove which was a canvas tent with queen beds ... soo clean, lovely sheets towels, toiletries, .. that was $200/nite in a forest with icean view! Beat western needs to take hospitality /cleanliness classes from camp ground hosts!

The location is perfect and the rooms are a generous size. Breakfast is included. It's okay! There was an issue with our bill. Our entrance door to our room was broken. Luckily, they were able to give us another room. Overall, I would stay again!

Friendly staff room was big and mainly clean. Two things: 1) the carpets in the rooms were sticky or something. Need to be replaced. I didn't want to walk barefoot. 2) they give you fire logs in your room which is nice but when you get in your room at night you smell everyone's lit logs. That's not a great chemical smell. Because we were there one quick night this was all ok. It was very easy to get to and get around town.

We booked a block of rooms for a family gathering. The rooms were spacious, well appointed and quiet. Loved having the fireplace even though we didn't use it - other members of the famliy did. The hot tub was very popular at night so we didn't use it ourselves. Despite being popular we were not disturbed by any hot tub conversations. Nice gathering spot around the fire pit and some of the younger members of the family used that. Good location in terms of walking distance to restaurants and town center. If there were elevators, we didn't find them and that meant we had to carry our bags and strollers and other clobber up and down the stairs. We got a "block room" discount but it was still expensive but probably not more than other hotels these days.

Spent one overnight visiting Sonoma town squae area. Great reastaurants near by. Full service facility within town center. Clean and well-managed. Only disappontment was electric vehicle charging station that attached an unexected escalating parking fee to the charging cost.

We stayed in the Spanish Suite & were absolutely thrilled with our stay. A log fire, a spa bath & a beautiful breezy balcony. Truly a wonderful place to unwind- and not at all formal or stuffy. Just charming, relaxed accommodations in the heart of beautiful sonoma. Can't wait to return.

This hotel is perfect if visiting Sonoma th clientele is mainly older people so you can guarantee you won't be awakened by noisy partying. The hotel has a pool that gets sun all day, there is also a Jacuzzi and steam room Breakfast was included and was ok The rooms are large with spacious bathrooms and are spotless. The location from the town square is perfect. I would use this hotel again

Second time staying here in last two years. Great location within walking distance of town square, restaurants and wine tastings. Rooms are very clean and comfortable with many amenities. Breakfast was good and plenty of options. A reasonably priced stay.

Stayed with a few friends for a wine country overnight stay. Convenient location. Within walking distance to Sonoma Square. Clean, spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

This is a well-situated property near the plaza in Sonoma. Nice pool and spa area, beautiful flowers and landscaping and spacious, clean guest rooms. Breakfast buffet is generous and includes health-conscious options along with outstanding coffee.

This is a quiet property with nice rooms. I was looking forward to a good nights sleep. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were hard, so not a good night's sleep. On the plus side, the room was lovely and fairly spacious. The breakfast was good, and the coffee was great.

Good price for the area. The hotel is close to Sonoma Square and all restaurants, etc. Though it has a dated decor, the rooms are nice and clean. I would skip the breakfast buffet ad it was okay. Go to Sunflower Cafe instead for an awesome breakfast.

Very cozy, the breakfast is very correct; Too bad they still use the carpets rooms that smell of humidity. The waterpool and jacuzzi are very nice placed. Enough parking lot. Good service at front desk and restaurant!

My stay here was great from start to finish. The room was great (I was in 232 so it was a corner room with tons of windows and light.. but nice and dark at night. The fireplace in the room was a nice touch and the outdoor tables with the firepit were great to relax with a glass of wine. The location is perfect and only a block from the square. There is also a Whole Foods across the street to get picnic items or stuff to enjoy in your room. The free breakfast was great with lots of choices. The thing that really set this stay apart from others was the front desk staff. I had a few silly questions and they went above and beyond to help me. I cant thank them enough. If I was ever back in Sonoma this would be my first choice when looking for a place to stay.

Although parts of the hotel look a little tired it has lovely rooms and helpful staff. It was a lovely break in a beautiful part of the country. We upgraded our room after check in as the staircase right outside our room was being repaired and not in use only to be put into a different building with another staircase being repaired and not in use for half of our stay. It wasn't too much of a problem but just annoying when carting luggage and a dog upstairs. The room itself was fabulous the Valley of the moon suite Room 326 was beautiful with two balconies, two TVs a fabulously huge Californian king size bed and a whirlpool tub as well as a double headed shower and clean except maybe a few outside cobwebs (but they looked like they hadn't been there too long and too be expected outside ) and really quiet as it backs onto a residential street and the breakfast room was located downstairs in this building not the main building . The hotel is pet friendly and there is a dog path with poop bags and bins to the side of the building.

Have stayed here several times in a double queen room. Rooms are large with fireplaces. Nice bathroom. There is a safe in the room. Carpets were a little worn this trip. Workers were working on replacing outside stair trends. Breakfast is very good by hotel continental breakfast standards, but staff had a little trouble keeping breakfast items stocked this time. Breakfast room was very busy. Room rates are very reasonable for this proximity to town square.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. It was extremely clean, the employees were very friendly, the free breakfast was fabulous, and the location ideal for walking around Sonoma. We were in Sonoma for the film festival and all of the venues were within walking distance. The quality and variety of breakfast choices were amazing. Anthony (from Ireland) was very friendly and helpful in the breakfast area. Some of the other women who worked in that area were also great. If we are ever in Sonoma again, we will stay there again.

Avoid. Not sure why this place reviews at 4/5 on here, it's definitely not worth it. I am actually here as I type this, thankfully checking out tomorrow. I spent 2 nights. The problems started when I first checked in. There is no parking and the stairs to the 2nd floor awkwardly positioned. Trying to find my room was entertaining and I accidentally disturbed some possibly underaged drinkers trying to coax a little more out of the ice machine. I eventually found my room and got us checked in, the partiers were a few rooms down and although staff alerted there was nothing done (see trash, that was them- trash remained all night). Hotel layout and physical appearance reminded me of a bad 70's cop movie. Breakfast, at least anything decent, didn't happen either. Front end staff (British accented lady) was nice enough, just remaining staff didn't seem to have a pulse, the hotel was dirty, questionably occupied and did not meet expectations I've grown to enjoy with BW (the one outside Venice Italy is awesome). I was embarrassed having picked this place. I won't be back and will seriously question both future BW stays and feedback I review on TripAdvisor subsequent this stay as this is not a 4/5 hotel, especially in Sonoma.

When my sister and I arrived to our room the over whelming smell of bleach was hard to take. We had to leave the front door and back door open. It was present for the two days we stayed.(ended up with very bad headace and a sore throat) The pool area is very noisy at night.But, they do close it at 10 p.m. like they state. Wish they had more selections on dish t.v. Breakfast coffee was good. A nice place to visit but, not a very friendly town.

The BW in Sonoma is a great location - within walking distance of the famous Sonoma Plaza with all it's charm and character. The Solano mission, the barracks, so much history in one little spot. The fashionable boutiques, local cafes, the Basque Boulangerie, famous for its sour dough bread, the Sebastiani Theater with all it's original charm and the friendliest folks at the Information Center. So much to enjoy and, for those men who do not enjoy browsing/shopping with their wives, 'babysitting is provided at a local bar!

We were visiting from the Northeast and stayed for three nights, which was about half hour West Coast trip. Very comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast included was great. The front desk staff was also helpful and accommodating. I'll recommend to friends and look to stay again on our next trip.

I stayed here a couple days ago with my boyfriend and his two sons for my birthday and we had a wonderful time. The hotel is a little old and could use some work but it's still beautiful and very romantic. I specifically booked for the pool/hot tub/steam room and was not disappointed. The courtyard was so pretty and peaceful and we very much enjoyed ourselves. The room was fantastic and I adored it! It was very spacious, overlooked the pool which was nice and had a fireplace inside! We were very warm all night. I had told the hotel while booking that it was my birthday and they gave me a cute happy birthday note and a bottle of wine from Cline Cellars which is one of my favorite wineries! The two ladies at the front desk were very kind and helpful (our room didn't have a microwave which I knew about before so no complaints here so one of the ladies used her office microwave to heat up some food for us which was absolutely wonderful of her) and the lobby had a little machine that made coffee, tea, and hot chocolate which was a really nice touch. All in all a tremendous stay and I will definitely be back next time I need a little mini getaway! Only giving four stars because I feel I need to mention that there were several cobwebs on our ceiling in our room which isn't a big deal but just kind of annoying seeing as I paid a good amount for the room and I feel like it should be clean and when we went to get into the hot tub the morning of checkout it was absolutely filthy. Small hairs, filmy bubbles, insects, leaves, etc. I've honestly never seen a hot tub so dirty before and I have stayed in every kind of hotel you can imagine from a motel 6 in Albuquerque to a huge resort in Disney World. It was also lukewarm and not at all hot. We asked for the temp to be turned up and a maintenance man did so but after a little while it was still lukewarm. We were checking out so didn't bother asking again and didn't bother complaining to the front because I'm not the kind to try and get a discount or whatever and I still had a good time so not a huge deal but if you stay just make sure they clean the tub and regulate the temperature. Overall still a great stay and will be back!

We spent one night in this hotel but the room was very spacious enough that we could have stayed more days. Although the hotel needs some refurbishing, it was comfortable and clean. We had specifically asked for a room on the upper level and even paid extra for that request however when we got there, we were told that the only ones they had available were on the first floor. We ended up in Room 127 on the first floor and it had a patio enclosed with a gate to the nicely landscaped common area that had a hot tub and a pool. The room we had (and I imagine all the rooms on the first floor) was dark even with sliding doors to the outside. Otherwise it had a good size TV above the fireplace and it even included a little fridge and microwave. Breakfast from our room was a little distance and you had to walk thru their parking lot to go to another building in the back of the reception area. Breakfast was typical for any Best Western hotel. I would recommend this very well located hotel as you can walk to all the restaurants and wine bars around Sonoma Plaza.

Spent 3 nights at the BW Sonoma Valley. Loved the breakfast (fresh smoothies and juicer blends), eggs, waffles, yogurt etc. Room size was great as was the location! Room was quiet and the king bed was very comfortable. Wish we could have used the hot tub but it was crowded and the 4 of us did not feel like bumping elbows. Another benefit of this hotel is the fire pits. We did sit beside the pit near the pool but wished the one at the Krug center was lit at night. It seemed to be on in the AM for the Breakfast crowd, but not at night. Either way, we did ask for one to be lit and the staff accommodated our request. The only thing I would change would be the carpet in the room. Was clean and no smells but just dated. Otherwise this is a FABULOUS Hotel for the price, location and amenities. I would highly recommend and would stay here again!

I had a great stay at this centrally-located hotel. Our room was on an upper floor but they constantly offered to help us with our bags and whatever else we needed. Staff was friendly and always answered our questions quickly and efficiently. Rooms leave a bit to be desired (could probably use an upgrade) but who spends much time in their room in Sonoma?! With walking distance to all of the spots in downtown Sonoma, the location truly can't be beat. Very nice pool area as well, though I didn't have time to make use of it!

We booked this hotel for it's convenience to Sonoma Plaza, It was perfect for us. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was pleasant. The beds are comfortable, room temp is easily controlled with a remote. The breakfast room had something for everyone. There's even coffee & snacks in the lobby if you need something mid-day. Lots of uber drivers in the area for rides to the Sonoma wineries/vineyards. Whole Foods (across the street) has plenty of picnic options. It's an easy walk to Sonoma Plaza to wine rooms, restaurants, shops (including the ORIGINAL Williams-Sonoma).

We stayed here in Januuary 2019. We thought it was great! It's conveniently located within walking distance to Sonoma's Historic Square, Whole Foods, several restaurants, and tasting rooms. Our room was very spacious and clean with plenty of charging stations for phones and computers. We used the fireplace it was great for a rainy chilly evening , a special touch. Also the included breakfast was good with a big variety of selections. We didn't get to access the pool hot tub or steam room because of our itinerary and weather, but the area looked very nice. This was our first trip to wine country and we would definitely stay here again! We had a great time!

Very very disappointed. Customer care very poor; didn't seem to value my custom, even when I complained. Couple this with the fact that I had to move rooms twice owing to the noise of building work. I should have been advised from the start. Very in professional.

We stayed 2 nights to spend some relaxing time wine tasting after visiting my grandmother for the first time in memory care. Early on the morning of our second night, there was literally a team of workers jackhammering the tiles off the walkway right down from our room. We tried to get away from the sound by going to the continental breakfast, and there was a team trimming the trees in the parking lot with chainsaws. After about 2 hours of this, we just checked out early. When I checked out, I made a comment and received zero apologies or offers to make anything right. "Oh they're changing out the tiles". Like that is something that just happens most nights at hotels. The room was fine and the location was fine. It's pricey for a mid range hotel otherwise. And bad customer service in my experience. I understand you have to do maintenance, but if you're going to be jackhammering a walkway, don't have people staying in those rooms. Or close! If you book, call ahead to make sure this renovation isn't still happening.

Great place.!!! Room are so nice.!!! Breakfast is second to none.!!! And the location is right downtown.!!! I have been here twice now for business and like I said it have been a perfect stay every time and that is why I keep coming back.!!!

The pool gate was next to our room and people walked through it to cross to the lobby. ALLLLLLLL night the gate was opened and slammed, waking us up every time. Manager said he was taking $25 off our bill because they know the gate is a problem and have to fix it all the time, but it hadn't been fixed in awhile. Credit never showed up on our bill. Creaky cart also came in during the middle of the night to take out the towels.

We have stayed at this property many times. It is and has always been a well kept hotel with an excellent staff. The included breakfast is excellent. Grounds are very well kept. The wifi was exceptional 128 Upload 40 download. The location is perfect only a short 5 minute walk to town and a great outdoor shopping area across the street. Rooms have been recently renovated.

I was looking for a place to stay in Sonoma for one night and this Best Western looked nice enough from the rode so I stopped in to see if they had a vacancy and they did. The cost was around $150 and the room really exceeded my expectations. The room was ground level with a king bed and sitting area, a large bathroom, a large flat screen tv perched over the mantle of the fireplace. They USB ports and blackout curtains which were very nice. There is a hot tub by the pool and some of the guest were in it. The temperature was around 50° and it was raining and they did not seem to care. The next morning it was raining so I had to walk about 100 yards across the parking lot in the rain to where the breakfast was being held and it was worth it. Eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, fruit, waffles with milk, juice coffee or hot tea. The breakfast was excellent and included in your price. We had a great day in Sonoma thanks to a great night's rest and wonderful breakfast at the Beat Western Sonoma Valley.

My family and I stayed here for one night. Beds were very comfortable, rooms were very clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast with a wide variety to chose from. Everything to see in town is easy walking distance. Definately would stay here again.

The Best Western Sonoma Inn offers great value at a very solid property. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The courtyard is very attractive and the steam room is excellent. We love steam rooms and this a good one. The included breakfast offered a nice assortment of fresh and tasty items. The staff were helpful and cordial. The. Location is great with a wide variety of tasting rooms and restaurants within easy walking distance. The lobby offers good coffee and tea throughout the day. Overall we were very happy with our three day stay and would definitely go back. Not a deluxe or luxury brand but does everything it is supposed to do very well.

The room exceeded our expectations. Spacious, comfortable bed, fireplace, large TV, USB and electrical outlets on both sides of the bed, excellent breakfast with healthy options, and a fast, free Internet. While it seems to be an older facility, most amenities have been updated. We've been to two Best Western Plus hotels this past year (Sea Island, Ga.), which totally changed our perception of the chain. Neither were the cookie-cutter style of most chains. Both had some really charming touches. We wouldn't hesitate to return to the Sonoma Valley Inn.

This location Is one block from shops and restaurants . There is a sauna and jacuzzi on site if you just want to chill. It is the Gold standard in Best Western hotels at a very reasonable price. Enjoy!

Although I live in Sonoma, I've stayed several times at the Best Western Sonoma Valley Inn as a guest as have most of my friends in from out of town. It's a comfortable clean hotel and to say it's close to the Plaza is an understatement! You're right there! Aside from that, I've been to many events in their banquet halls, been there for board meetings, and various other social events. Every time the service was amazing and the space comfortable. Although it's downtown, this is Sonoma so you will find it quiet and they have a nice pool and hot tub. They do sell out on major event weekends, so I would call right away when making any travel plans!

The fireplace is wonderful - with a log provided daily. Nice courtyard grounds and pleasant short walk to breakfast. Easy walk to shopping, restaurants. The grounds are well kept up, the bathroom spacious. Very accommodating of our dog, although the fee was the highest we've ever paid. But the hotel rate is also higher than most of the other Best Westerns. Must be that fireplace.

The rooms are drafty, smoke smell throughout. Windows are not sealed or very good, can hear conversations, so not peaceful. Air filters had light on and were never cleaned after a request. This location doesn't seem to care about Best Western members. The location is great. Breakfast had a great variety unfortunately there were fruit flies all over the fruit and smoothies. However, it was nice they had these options. Rodney was very helpful at the desk .

What a wonderful hotel, walking distance to shopping. The hotel had firepits and what a wonderful way to drink wine and meet new people. The rooms had a fireplace which was a nice feature. The staff could not have been more helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

My wife and I stayed at this Best Western over 25 years ago, it was good then it is even better now. We had a king room with fireplace overlooking the pool and spa. It was a very quiet clean room with nice decor and very comfortable kingsize bed. What impresed us most was the full breakfast in the adjacent Charles Krug dinning room. Nice choices incuded bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles, fresh fruit salad, pastries and glutten free breads. But how about fruit smoothies and choice of green or rasberry? That was a rare treat at a hotel. We will be back!

My husband and I got charged for 3 rooms for 2 nights. The manager did not try to solve the problem. He was rude and very disrespectful to the point that we left and drove 6 hours back home our second night. It has made us not want to stay at any Best Western again.

I've stayed here 5-7 times and loved it until this trip. Hot tub had been broken for a week before we arrived and no one notified us (or other guests who also complained). When I asked if any discount would be applied to this trip or my next trip the manager said 'amenities are not guaranteed' so no response was needed. The reason I choose this or any hotel is price and hot tub. I've worked in guest service for years and it's not outside the scope of management to offer something/anything if a guest is not happy. I heard other guests complain who also were told nothing would be offered to them. I won't be staying here again. MacArthur Place (about $30 more per night) down the street will be my next destination. I will say the front desk staff was very nice and helpful during our stay. Management not so much.

We have stayed here several times. The rooms are generally spacious and comfortable, but some have features that are annoying, like towel bars so low that towels drag on the countertop, and clothes bars so low to the ground as to be virtually unusable. The location is excellent and they offer some nice amenities. The breakfast room is too small in the winter when it's too cold to eat outside.

If you want to listen to the guests upstairs all night walk around, flush the toilet and have intimate moments- this is the place. This hotel has no insulation between the floors, it is so bad that when someone walks upstairs, the light fixtures clink.This hotel is not cheap, but the rooms aren't any better than any cheap chain.

After a three night stay I received call on Christmas from the Inn named Jack whom I never met (nor do I know his title )during my breakfast in the motel lobby to tell me that I am unwelcome at his motel/inn. ...on Christmas?.... This was an unsolicited call. Took me by complete surprise. He said I was unhappy blah blah blah and the staff is tired of me asking for upgrade....but by the end of the call it I was clearly being scolded by making his employees frustrated and I am to be added on the “do not have as guest “ list. Well I was tired of having a broken door ! They have a list like that! After I checked in and paid ? I followed the rules and exercise my rights as guests like everyone else. You cannot discriminate me because i use unscented sheets ! Never in all my life have a stayed someplace and paid and the business have sellers remorse and on Christmas all me ? Is the tactless or what ? I'm the customer !I then realized he was tired of my mishaps at the Inn and was taking notes and times . He also said he didn't care I wrote a poor review online since they do such great business so it's ok to belittle me. A call to badger and harass a Customer ? Really ? I intended to book a fourth night prior the unwanted call but front desk said they were all booked including my room but I had no clue I was on the uninvited block her list. I believe the call to best western about the broken door may hav added to my demise on Christmas. I didn't know this was privately owned business so I called Bw customer service. They explained I could upgrade if available but Jack has put a stop on any upgrade. BUYER BEWARE! No upgrade possible *A plus here is the kitchen staff is so charming. Kudos to Patrick and the ladies in the kitchen, Ian, Aiden, and older maintenance , Alfredo nice lady who,knew Norton Buffalo and Angela. Thanks for making it a nice Christmas until the eve. I booked through Best Western as suggested by front desk my previous visit. I wanted to make sure I followed their preferred booking to reassure my holiday stay . I wished for the suite but they were sold out on the 22nd so I asked them if I could upgrade to a suite the next two days since there was availability but the front desk suggested that I had to call the next morning around 8 am to see if the room was still a available. I didn't realize I should book three separate days if I wanted the suite. More confusing now than ever. I did pay for an upgrade my previous stay as did not anticipate this issue because i became a Best Western member, Several issues arose each time I was there some small some much larger, * First stay the T. V kept turning off . I inquired non scented sheets and nice lady front desk on the phone said they would do a double rinse for me but when I arrived the refused service and I suppose Jack was right when I inquired at 4 pm, taking notes on my sheets ....Odd but I brought my own sheets. *Second stay a man smoking a cigar at suite 323 so I had to call the desk since it was so strong, I paid the upgrade from a balcony room that smelled bad. No big deal to me really wanted the suite to,try out for Christmas. *Third stay the sliding door jammed the entire three nights. They came to fix it but after the heavy rain it jammed again. Dangerous if you locked yourself out plus one of the workers almost did, Hot tub broken. They offered me one room downstairs ( to me a downgrade lots of dogs barking and kids screaming at the pool lots of people in the hot tub). The second night was completely booked as Best Western customer service said no rooms available so,I thought ok I will call first thing in the morning. Aside the challenges I was in Sonoma enjoying my holiday and I thought the inn would try harder for me as a member to accommodate me. I had to make the most of it. I enjoyed my smoothies and I was grateful I even had a balcony room. Since my fireplace was a little smoky I wanted to be able to open the sliding door. So the 23rd I had to leave town no time to move my things and waited an hour while the guys were in my room trying to fix the door. So management calls me on private line on Christmas and tell me we need to have this conversation and my staff says you're person non grata. Total Over $500 four night stay ... .

Our room was huge!! It was a nice place to stay and a good location to the square. We could walk there. It was clean. The only thing we were so disappointed in was the hot tub was not working. :( I stayed on my points so it was hard to complain. Breakfast was good and the people were really friendly. If you stay here, the breakfast room is really far from a lot of the rooms. Check where it is, you may want to drive there if you are older like us. We walked but it was quite a walk in the cold morning. :) Internet was good. The pool wasn't warm enough to swim in , especially with the hot tub not working.

Perfect location of Sonoma Valley. Walking distance from shops and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room with a balcony overlooking the pool and jacuzzi. I would definitely stay here again on my next wine country visit.

Hotel is fairly priced considering the location. Unfortunately, the employees couldn't be less hospitable if they tried. It's a shame ... We have stayed here couple of times already, and really like the area.

The Sonoma Best Western/Krug event center features easy walk to Downtown Sonoma, good eating close-by and pet-friendly accommodations. Easy to get to Sonoma wineries and Napa Valley as well as Alexander Valley are easy commutes. Breakfast service in the morning is a great way to get going every day.

Had not reserved a room but Check-in was quick and easy. The room was large and well maintained- fireplace had a complimentary fire log which was very nice. Bed and bathroom both excellent. Free Breakfast was excellent and catered for all tastes- all in all an excellent stay.

Having arrived at 9:30 am, bringing a crew in to do an evening show, was not expecting immediate check-in for the shower room or driver's. Now 5 hours later, one room ready for crew, my driver has now watched 3 groups check in and he is still waiting. One was told your room has been waiting. He MUST BY LAW have time off in our schedule. This is un acceptable that others are getting runs ahead of someone waiting already.

Hi everyone, First time at a Best Western property and my experience was excellent. The Internet is superb - Comcast fiber. Crate with clean wine glasses at the reception desk - part of the service. Included breakfast every morning as part of the regular no thrill room. Fireplace with a log in the room - nice touch. Free parking and best of all - walking distance to all city of Sonoma venues, really easy walking not a work out or anything like that. In summary I would be back!

Chose this hotel because I use Best Western for busines. Staff not friendly nor did they acknowledge my membership. It is Sonoma, thin plastic cups, no wine glasses, had to go to the desk to ask for a corkscrew. Easy walk to the square bit there are several hotels closer which I will try next time.

We stayed 3 nights. Our room was not cleaned after our first night. Complained to front desk but was told that told housekeeping staff has gone since it's already 6:30 pm. Asked to talk to manager but was told there was no manager on duty at the time. Was told that a manager would call us the next day. No call the next day so I called front desk again. No manager on duty again and was told that a manager would call us that afternoon. Got back to the room in the evening and called front desk again to ask for a manager. Was told that all the managers are away at a two-day conference! Stay away from this place. No accountability at all.

excellent, pet friendly, there for a wedding , Really Great location, close to city center, able to walk everywhere across from shopping center, good food,whole foods, Staff friendly and helpful. The Air conditioner control needed batteries. Very fast to replace. Will stay there again when in Sanome

Although it is an older hotel, it was comfortable and clean and the staff very friendly. The pool and courtyard area were beautiful. A little oasis between buildings. The included breakfast was very good. The food was fresh and constantly replenished. The location is perfect for exploring downtown Sonoma. It is within walking distance of so many attractions. I would recommend this hotel.

Rooms were clean and the breakfast was very nice. Perfect location. We were able to walk into town for dinner, shopping and wine tasting. Coffee and snacks in the lobby were a nice touch. We sat out by the fireplace on eveining. That was very nice. I would stay here again!

We spent the weekend in Sonoma and stayed at the Best Western, we could not have been more pleased. The hotel is in a great location, only a five minute walk from the downtown square, where you can visit may wine tasting rooms, shop and eat at great restaurants. The hotel is clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the “free” breakfast is great. We really loved having a workout fireplace in our room! A cozy, quaint hotel that is ideal for a couples getaway.

BW Sonoma is truly a gem! Walking distance to shops, restaurants and wine tasting rooms, as well as only a short drive to several wineries. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The heated pool, hot tub and evening fire pit were added bonuses to an already fabulous facility.

We loved our stay at the Sonoma Valley Inn! Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. There was a balxony overlooking a pool area and a fireplace in the room with complimentary logs. Very romantic! Walkable distance to boutiques, restaurants, and small tasting rooms. Complementary breakfast is served each morning with nice selections including eggs, fresh fruit and yogurt, oatmeal, and breads/pastries. We highly recommend and were sad to leave this morning!

What a little gem of a hotel! Walking distance to everything in downtown Sonoma. Staff was wonderful. Angela and Ron at the front desk were very helpful. Breakfast was great - hot and cold selections and many choices. Even fresh smoothies every morning! Got to know the the breakfast staff - Anthony, Crystal and Lucina. They, too were exceptional and made us feel like family. Room and bed were comfortable and looked over the beautiful courtyard. After sightseeing all day, it was so relaxing to come back to our little "Eden" and enjoy a glass of wine in front of the firepit. Will definitely be back and will recommend it to my friends.

We were so surprised to find such great anemities in such a small town atmosphere. The staff was knowledgable and polite. They even include complimentary laundry facilities. Breakfast is great. It is both tasty and plentiful.

What a little gem in this beautiful little town. Very friendly staff and a beautiful court yard that has lots of seating areas and both a pool and a hot tub. When we checked in they had just finished a wine tasting so good to keep in mind for next time. Parking is offered and breakfast included. Breakfast was not anything special but you do get to make your own waffle which is always fun for kids and they had yummy mixed fruit smoothies on offer. The room was very large and the beds a good size for sharing. Lovely touch with a fire place all set and it was just to strike a match to get it going.

We ended up on the second floor because there were no ground floor rooms available and no elevators. I am too old to be lugging suitcases up a stairway and there were no bell hops on the premises. The room had two hard backed chairs for sitting and reading or "relaxing". I stayed in three different hotels this week and this was the only one that disappointed me.

Great rooms, big, clean and with good beds. Free use of their washing machines. Stabile and fast wifi. Good breakfast and the facilities had a nice atmosphere. The bathroom were nice and clean. If I must find something to point my finger at, they could improve the water pressure in the shower. My wife has thick hair, and it took forever to wash out the shampoo.

THis BW is really nice. I've stayed in a few that don't measure up to the "best" part of their name but this one certainly does. Right from check in which was smooth to check out, this one scored. He physical layout is excellent. The place is clean, the staff friendly enough and efficient and they tried to do an excellent job on breakfast, even featuring healthy alternatives. I would certainly stay here again. Plus! The location, one block from the square, couldn't be better.

Had the suite on the corner that sits above the restaurant. Hotel is slightly dated, but it has everything we needed. We had been on the coast traveling and it was pretty warm in sonomas when we arrived so nice to have A/C. Room very spacious. Was not ready at 4 when we got there and front desk staff was working hard to figure out the issue. Finally ready around 430 and they gave us a free bottle of wine for waiting. Parking was plentiful. No issues there. Noise was quiet. Breakfast was decent. I am a picky eater so I usually bring my own food! Location was perfect. Right by the town square and across from Whole Foods.Staff at breakfast were very good. Free laundry!!! Only issue was housekeeping could have stepped up their game. We were there 3 nights and had the same cobwebs and light bulb out. But overall not a big issue. We loved the town of sonoma.

I'm so glad I stayed here! It's the perfect location to be able to walk to the town square, so it's really close to a bunch of restaurants and wine tasting rooms. There are multiple vineyards around, so nothing is more than a short drive away. The room we stayed in had a fireplace, and they even provide a complimentary fire log each day! Compared to other hotels/inns in the area, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone as a first choice. The price was fair, there was free breakfast and parking, and the service was great. The balconies overlook the pool area, and it's really quaint. Can't wait to go back!

This is a "typical"chain hotel. It has a good level of comfort, a guest laundry (which is free!) and plenty of parking. The hotel is in a very convenient location - close to the main road into Somona and within walking distance of Sonoma Plaza (so restaurants etc)

This hotel is ideally situated in Sonoma and it was just a short walk to the main square (which unfortunately shuts down at about 21.00). The room was located in the Krug Center and was very nice however it was let down by its proximity to the main road and we were awoken many times during the night and early morning by traffic and refuse trucks. The staff were very helpful and in general the facilities were very good. The choice at breakfast was okay but it was a bit manic trying to find seating (if you arrive at the wrong time). Would stay here again.

Lovely trip through Sonoma. The BW Inn was right on the highway, easy to access. The facility was clean and our room was spacious with a fireplace. Breakfast was in a separate building-fabulous meal. Any breakfast food you would want. Check-in and out staff were very helpful about the area and directions. We walked to center of town square for sight seeing.

We only spent one night in Sonoma, and think this hotel is excellent for a short stay. The room was spacious, comfortable, and we enjoyed the fireplace amenity. Great breakfast, but if you would prefer to eat in a restaurant in Sonoma, the location is perfect to reach the Sonoma town square and great shops and restaurants. The staff was very accommodating and kind, and parking was easy and fast. Would definitely stay there again!

Loved this place, great room with fireplace, super clean, very comfortable beds and what a great location could walk to many great places to eat and drink, the complimentary breakfast was just outstanding

So I don't want to sound like a snob but I haven't stayed at a Best Western in probably 18 years until this one came along. My husband and I decided to stay a few extra days in Napa and he warned me to lower my expectations and find something "cheap". I think I found it on a deal site for under $200. We also got the King Suite. I decided to stay here for several reasons...the location and the good reviews. YES, the rooms are dated but our room was very clean and had a cute little balcony with a couch. The bathrooms are dated but were very clean and it was bigger than my master bath at home. It had a walk in shower and a huge jacuzzi tub. We had a fireplace too.There was also a cute courtyard out by us with a fire pit. Whole Foods is across the street so one night when we were tired we got a bottle of wine, salad from Whole Foods and sat out by the fire pit. It was great! The town of Sonoma is literally around the corner and you can walk there and back from your hotel in no time! It really has a great location. The downside was that it is near the breakfast location so it is way too loud in the morning. Ask about that when booking. The free breakfast sucked but there are breakfast places close by you can walk too, and lastly I agree the carpet could go away. I truly hate carpet in most hotels and feel most guests would like to see wood floors or tile in their hotel room. It is so much easier to clean. I would stay here again if I was able to get a good rate. The bed was actually very comfortable and the location is awesome. The ladies at the front desk were very sweet upon check in.

For the price, I would have expected top-notch amenities, however, these are average at best. The rooms are dated with need for repairs and maintenance issues to be addressed. There was some moldy grout spots in the shower, the toilet leaked, the carpet was stained and though the facility is supposed to be non-smoking; there was ash on the furniture on the balcony. Amenities were just okay. The pool was clean, the steam room didn't work and no one was enforcing the no babies in the hot tub rule. Now, for location, this BW is great! Right across the street is a shopping center with a Whole Foods, CVS, Baskin' Robins and Black Bear Diner. Within 2 blocks you will find a variety of food establishments, like The Girl and the Fig. The breakfast is in another building, so be prepared to stroll to breakfast in the the events center. About 1-2 minutes. The largest issue I have with this pet-friendly hotel is two-fold. First, the pet walk is small and placed in the far corner of the property... not ideal if you pup has to do his/her business first thing in the morning and you are located on the opposite corner. Next, the parking. There needs to be enough parking for the number of rooms.

We stayed here one night this past week on our visit to the wine country. It was in a great location for visiting downtown Sonoma. We had a huge room, complete with microwave, refrigerator, 2 tvs and a nice balcony. It was a little tired, here and there but we did not spend that much time in the room. The shower was excellent with the 2 shower heads. The bed is probably the one thing I would recommend replacing. The mattress was very worn on each side. The breakfast was not bad, very convenient.

We totally enjoyed our stay. And, it was walking distance from everything. We loved the setting and the room/suite that we had.They also had continental breakfast in the mornings. They treated us with great respect and service.

The Best Western Sonoma Valley Inn is right around the corner from a variety of restaurants, shopping, and a bucolic park. It is also across the street from a mini mall with a Whole Foods. The room was ok. It had a curiously large water closet with a bathtub and shower. The sink was outside of the bathroom. I generally don't like this kind of configuration. The room with the beds was comfortable. We had a sliding door that led to a small patio (with no chairs). The furniture was helpful. There was a desk, nightstand and couch. We enjoyed getting into the hot tub at night. The staff at this hotel were well trained, friendly and competent. I would stay there again.

Stayed to nights on vacation visiting the Mission and some local winery tasting rooms. Hotel a block away from the town square, the heart ot Sonoma. Great shops, restaurants and wine tasting. Can park your car and walk wherever you want to go. I only used my car for visiting two winery tasting rooms and a restaurant outside of town. Room was large, comfortable, and clean. Everything worked. Great lighting. Best to get a room on the first floor to not have to carry luggage up to the second floor. A lot of early California history here without the crowds in the more touristy areas. Great place to take children. Tip--you can use your room key to get five free wine tastings at the Cline Winery outside of town; they have some very nice, reasonable wines

Great location for being near the Plaza and its many stores, tasting rooms and restaurants. It's not chic but it is a solid property. Small pool, complimentary breakfast and wifi. rooms are dark but large and fully equipped. Furniture is a tad dated. If you are looking for a inexpensive solid stay in town this is it!

This basically feels like a motel trying to be a high end hotel with high end prices. The rooms have very little sound proofing, so can be noisy during the day and in the evening. Being on the ground level also enables you to hear every creak and footstep from the room above. The rooms are situated around the pool area which can be very noisy with no privacy if you sit on the balcony. The bathrooms are basic and certainly not modern with tiny toiletry offerings. On a more positive note, the hotel surroundings are quite sweet with a pretty Court Yard. The inclusive breakfast offers a good choice of items. Staff are friendly.

We have stayed here several times, and there are good parts to the property. We have great check-in service from Drew, and when we had a concern the front desk responded very well with Anthony (I think) coming to check with us and then talking to housekeeping, who did a great job. Location is excellent, and the new TVs are very good. Breakfast is a good benefit. However, the property, inside and out, is on need of maintenance and updating. The front of the grounds looks good, but in the courtyard near breakfast service, there are several non-functioning fountains, which look to be in disrepair. There are also black, tar-like footprints on the tiles and the plants/planters are not in good shape. It needs sprucing up. Inside the rooms, fixtures and floors are not only tired but worn. Louvers on one of the patio doors were not fully attached, faucets and light controls are not fully functional, flooring is not in great repair, and there really needs to be a renovation.

Only 1 night - we chilled in and around the pool all afternoon, then found a great little restaurant round the corner - Sonoma Grille then comfy beds and a decent breakfast. Could have done with an extra day to explore Sonoma. Shops opposite include supermarkets and chemist. Would love to come back. Would def stay here again.

This property is only 2 blocks from the cutest little city square with many options for meals other than the breakfast they serve at the hotel with so many options and many healthy options too....all of our 20 something kids loved the smoothies! A grocery store across the street. We've stayed here before and will again.

After a few days of poor sleeping conditions, this was a little island of comfort. Great beds...by which I measure all hotels. Afterall, you're there to get a good night's sleep. This did not disappoint. Additionally, it was within walking distance of the downtown restaurants. It's also pet-friendly, in case you're traveling with furry friends. Highly recommend.

Good value for money with a nice pool area and complimentary breakfast. The room was spacious but the air conditioning was ancient and very loud which meant sleeping with it on all night was a no no. So did get very hot in summer. The room doors need a soft close fitted due to lots of slamming doors. Excellent location, across from Wholefoods and a shopping precinct and short walk to town. Would stay there again.

We stayed here for the last three nights of a long road trip ...it was chosen as it was so close to the square where we could try wine tasting & not need to drive. The location was great, less than 5 mins walk to the square. Staff on reception were very welcoming and friendly. Room was large with a fireplace and a good size bathroom, the sink was outside the bathroom which was a bit strange as there was plenty of space in the bathroom. The only thing was,as we discovered the next day, we had one of the few ground floor rooms that didn't have direct access to the pool area, which meant we had to keep walking through reception & also right round the hotel to breakfast...Room 132. We had only a small window in the room which made it quite dark . However, the breakfast was fine for what we wanted with plenty of choice. The pool area was good with a selection of beds and tables/chairs & towels available.

Nice hotel with good amenities and walking distance to downtown. The room is older but large with a fireplace and large bathroom. Bed and linens were nice. The courtyard is awesome with a fire pit, steam and sauna rooms, hot tub and pool. Nice to sit in the hot tub in the morning when it was 55 degrees out. The breakfast is in a cute building and had eggs and meat both days we were there along with waffles, oatmeal, breads and pastries. Very nice staff.

We had a hotel room block set up for our wedding weekend and worked directly with Laci who was so helpful. My overall experience working with her was amazing as she really understands the importance of great customer service. Wedding planning is stressful and Laci made this whole process very easy. I would definitely recommend any groups looking to do room blocks to visit the Best Western Sonoma, Laci will take great care of you!

We booked in advance from the UK so did not have a chance to see the room beforehand. They were traditional rooms but perfect for us as the beds were massive and comfortable and the hotel was only one block (3 minute walk) from the centre of town. It was nice to have a pool and breakfasts. We enjoyed a lunch one day we bought ourselves and ate in the area near the pool. Staff were friendly and helpful and the place was very clean. Free parking right by our room. Slightly odd that the bathroom sink was outside the bathroom. We were upstairs which was good as no noise above us. Breakfast was in a conference centre across the car park. We loved Sonoma and would stay here again if we came again.

No drab rooms here. Our room was bright & beautifully decorated. The bed provided me the best night's sleep I'd experienced in a very long time, including at home! Breakfast was wonderful, so many options. I particularly enjoyed the delicious health options, especially the smoothies. I didn't have to concern myself with my bread choice because gluten free bread was available. There was even a gluten free cereal offered. Bacon, sausage, eggs, and a variety of fresh pastries. Although my husband & I didn'tswim during our stay, it was nice to see families enjoying the pool. This place is lovely & I look forward to staying here when we next come to the Wine Country. Oh, I almost forgot. The location is FANTASTIC. Walking distance to everything.

Solid choice in a great location, only a block from town square and a Whole Foods accross the street. Front desk staff really nice, helpful and they are very dog friendly! I had a second floor room with a balcony facing the pool. A nice area, except if you have the air conditioner running the back of the unit is on the balcony so it is loud and blows hot air. Comfortable outdoor seating, with a patio heater, in a courtyard by a small but nicely kept pool area. It was a last minute trip and stayed mid week so got a good nighly rate that made this a great value. Highly recommend amazing tapas at Tasca Tasca and wonderful pastry at Basque Boulangerie Cafe

As always we totally enjoyed our stay with the Best Westerrn. The location is central and seeing the best of Sonoma was very confinient. I highly recommend staying at this Best Western in Sonoma and taking the time to visit the wonderful restaurants and wineries.

I stayed at the BW SVI in July 2018. I have to say I was happy with the hotel overall. All the staff were friendly and attentive. My room was always clean, and room amenities were good (fridge, tv, etc.). Only complaint about the room (and this is highly personal) is that I just did not like the bed (found it too hard/difficult to sleep), but my wife had no trouble sleeping. The pool areas is small, but it is kept clean and the surrounding courtyard is a nice place to sit and relax. Offers a good selection at it's free breakfast, and free and available parking. Hotel also offered free fitness passes to local gym -Sonoma Fit - which was a great gym only about a mile away. This hotel's one big positive - LOCATION! The hotel is a block from Sonoma plaza, and across the street from a 7-11 and Whole Foods. Great for misc. needs / water / snacks, etc. I have no complaints about the hotel, and would recommend (pending pricing) to friends. I have read some reviews about the hotel being overpriced and old. However, for the rate I paid, I felt it was a fair value, especially considering price of neighboring/nearby hotels, and given SVI's location and amenities.

It's easy to be fooled by nice pictures on websites. Don't be fooled by this one. This is a 1950's motel that hasn't been upgraded since it was built. It is difficult to believe that they have the chutzpah to charge $400 per night for what they offer. It has to be a goldmine for them. In fairness, it is clean. It is also in a pretty good location if you are there to visit Sonoma itself. It is about one block away from Sonoma Plaza. Expect vastly overpay for a below mediocre motel.

I would highly recommend Best Western Sonoma Valley Inn for anyone traveling to this area. We were able to walk to many tasting rooms and restaurants. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and the courtyard was lovely. Our wine tour readily picked us up from the hotel. All in all, my daughters and I would easily recommend this hotel.

Perfect hotel in the best location. Within walking distance to several great returants in town. Whole Foods and CVS across the street. Hotel is clean and quiet. Loved the hot tub and pool area. We had a 1st floor room that allowed us to walk right out to the pool. Free laundry for guests was a huge bonus. Free breakfast with several healthy options to choose from. Coffee in lobby. Friendly front desk staff that were always willing to help out with a recommendation. We would return to this hotel!

I would highly recommend staying at this Best Western Inn while visiting Sonoma, California. close to all actives in-town. I suggest visiting early in the week and attending the Farmers Market on Tuesdays at the towns plaza. Wine Tasting and food tasting as well, sometimes live music.

This hotel is not the fanciest hotel in Wine Country, but the location is within walking distance of the Sonoma square where there are restaurants, shops, and wine tastings. Our teenage son liked the pool and hot tub. The hotel is not large and all the rooms have balconies or patios overlooking the pool area which was nicely landscaped and well maintained. Breakfast was adequate with a few hot food items offered each day along with pastries, cereal, etc. We had a large flat-screen TV with a decent amount of channels. The WiFi was free and functional. Beds were comfortable. The carpet in the room is dark colored, which made the room feel a little dark, and walking around in white socks showed they were pretty dirty. The rooms could be improved with some lighter colored solid flooring! This hotel was a good choice for our small family and was a reasonable value for the area. The location is hard to beat!

Nice property with courtyard areas and out door fireplaces. Rooms are a good size with comfortable beds. Bathroom is an odd set up, sink area is located as you walk into the room entry door. Shower/toilet area is large (could not understand why sink was not incorporated in the same room). Small fridge located under sink. Breakfast offered a decent choice of items. Whole Foods market and CVS drug store located across the street. Walking distance to town square and restaurants.

Lovely Inn/motel style layout with excellent rooms, many with fireplaces! everything the standard of a good hotel, but at the some of lowest prices in Sonoma, and just around the corner from the main square with it's many fine restaurants. Don't even think about staying anywhere else around here, and the area and wineries are nicer than Napa

My favorite winery, Pangloss, has a tasting room in the heart of Sonoma, so when we decided on a roadtrip, I had to stay in Sonoma for one night. I also wanted to visit with a childhood friend who I reconnected with last year, in Sonoma. Looking for a place to stay that is dog friendly, the BW Sonoma Valley Inn came up. I like that it is far away from the town noise, but close enough to walk to everything. We had a two queen room with fireplace and balcony. The room was comfortable with a small sofa. I didn't expect any bells or whistles, just a nice quiet room for the night. Cako made herself right at home. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast since we're late risers. But walking around the town and just coming back was very convenient. I would definitely stay here again!

Had great 2 night stay with my wife at this lovely hotel in Sonoma. The hotel is in walking distance of lovely restaurants and wine tasting in Sonoma and we even walked to Sebastiani winery which was a very pleasant 20 minute walk away. Staff were very accommodating and friendly and we had a lovely suite with jetted tub. They had a nearby fire pit on courtyard by Krug Building where our suite was which was great when the weather turned chilly in the evening. The breakfast included in the rate was very nice and plentiful and would love to stay again if ever visiting the area again

My family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids) stayed 5 nights at this property. We had originally booked an Air B&B for our trip, but ultimately decided on the BW Sonoma Valley Inn because with the included amenities it was the better value. Overall, it was was perfect for us and in many ways exceeded our expectations. We were given a large corner room (#130) on the first floor. It had a pull out sofa and small kitchenette but no fireplace (not a major complaint b/c it is summer). The toilet, sink and shower were together, unlike the other rooms, which was at times an inconvenience but manageable. Room was clean and beds comfy. Noise outside was minimal, except for a few trucks passing. Breakfast is in the conference center at the back of the property -- an easy walk from the main building. There is a lovely courtyard with tables, sofas and a fire pit adjacent to the main dining area. The selection of food was impressive. Besides the usual fare of eggs, bacon/sausage, oatmeal, breads, etc., there was a table of healthier options which included hard boiled eggs, chia pudding, fresh smoothies and more. Gluten free bread and other items are available when requested. The courtyard and pool area in the main building are lovely! The area is well kept and clean. My daughters loved the pool and hot tub, and the adults loved to sit at one of the patio tables and enjoy a nice glass of wine and snack. Complementing the area are the cascading flowers that seem to grow everywhere! What a nice retreat it was to relax after a day out and about. Location. It can't be beat! Just around the corner from the hotel is Sonoma Grille and Bar which has a pretty great happy hour menu and garden for dining outside. You also are 2 blocks from the Sonoma Plaza which boasts great restaurants, shops, tasting rooms and more. Mary's Pizza Shack is delicious is you're looking for a casual bite. On Tuesdays the farmers market takes place on the plaza and it a great way to shop local artisans, sample food and enjoy live music. The shopping center directly across the street has a Whole Foods and CVS and a few other small shops. Great for picking up water and snacks and maybe a nice gift. And of course, you are in wine country, so in a matter of minutes you can be at one of many wineries. The hotel room key, when redeemed at certain wineries, gets you a free tasting. Miscellaneous...very pleasant and helpful staff, especially given the MULTIPLE times we needed a new room key as ours consistently became demagnetized or misplaced. There is complementary water, tea and coffee in the lobby and free use of a computer if you care to check email or check-in for a flight. At the back of the property is complimentary laundry facilities. Not that one plans on doing laundry on vacation, but the 2 very nice washer and dryers for use free of charge was a nice perk when needed.

I travel alot for work so we typically stay at SPG or Marriott properties on vacation, however, my wife found this little gem in Sonoma. The location was great as it is very close to downtown shopping, restaurants, bars, etc. so you can walk where you need to go. The room we had was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. They do need to change the pillows though, they were very uncomfortable and stiff! There is a Whole Foods across the street as well. We would definitely recommend the BW for anyone wanting to spend a night or two in Sonoma!

I cannot tell you how happy I am with this booking. We left our previous location early (because it was a dump) and came here for an extra night (3 total). I am SO happy we did! From the minute we got here, the staff was so accommodating. We originally had a king fireplace room booked, but because we added an extra night, we had to be in a different room for that night. The staff made sure that the king room was close by and ready as early as possible, so we could just switch over and go about our day in Sonoma. I appreciated that so much. The rooms were so clean, and comfortable. So much space, the beds were so nice, the washroom was huge and clean, the fireplace and little patio going right out to the pool was a dream. The pool, patio, hottub area was so nice. Very well kept, and a nice relaxing feature to this hotel. Honestly, just such a nice place!! Oh my gosh, the breakfast!! Guys, we came from a place that said continental breakfast and it was yogurt, muffins, and hard boiled eggs. We got here expecting something similar, but we were blown away. Muffins, toast, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, smoothies, eggs everyday, sausage or bacon everyday, make your own waffles, coffee, all the juices, I'm sure there is something I'm forgetting. It was SUCH a good breakfast! A really great way to start your day, and so nice to not have to pay for a meal. Ok writing this is making me sad I'm gone and not here. The location alone is something to come back to this hotel for. It was in walking distance of everything, and then the wineries we drove to were only 10 minutes away. I loved every minute of Sonoma, and was so sad to leave. I will definitely be back, and highly likely book another stay here, as we loved it!!

Dated motel in great location. Very spacious, room has fireplace, bathroom is split where sink sits outside (convenient). Bathroom fan and a/c are very noisy. Comfortable one night stay in wine country.

Excellent place. Had a great stay at Sonoma Valley Inn! Clean, comfy and spacious corner room. Comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location, close to the town square, several restaurants and a Whole Food market is across the street. Great price-value! Would come back any time.

The staff is so accommodating and helpful. We were very fortunate to find this hotel which was comfortable and within walking distance to the town square. Breakfast was included and the court yard was very pretty with a pool. We enjoyed the size of the room and an entrance on one side with sliding doors on the other and small patio on the pool side. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms are clean. The reason for the three star rating is the rooms were dark inside even when table lamps were turned on. The rooms have been updated inside but the outside is dated.

We are Best Western Rewards members so it was nice to see a BW in located near downtown Sonoma. The Inn was located within walking distance to restaurants, a grocery store and shops. Sonoma is a very quaint town with bakeries, restaurants, shops and wine tasting. It was a bit on the cool side when we visited but we still enjoyed the area. The location was perfect for going to the local wineries and attractions. The room was spacious and had a fire place which we lit one night for warmth. They have a nice pool area with a hot tub. The complimentary breakfast was adequate for getting you started in the morning. They did offer healthy options also. The one day that we opted for the complimentary breakfast it was crowded and they were out of silverware and some food items. The supply of breakfast items did not seem to meet the needs of the guests. We opted to have breakfast at the Big Bear the next day. The hotel itself was decent but could use a bit of an update. Perhaps have a few more ice machines as it is quite a distance from the rooms. The check in area was great with the complimentary teas/coffees and cucumber water was delicious.

Perfect location to walk around Sonoma. Close to nice trails to walk dogs. Large, clean rooms. Nice area (Rocky's Road) designated for dogs, well lite for those evening potty breaks. Breakfast typical fair, best to stick with oatmeal or yogurt. Very nice staff. If you can come during the week, huge difference in pricing by several hundred dollars per night! Having stayed in the BW in Healdsberg and now in Sonoma will definitely stay here again dogs. Better accessibility to town's offerings!

We stayed here for a weekend while attending a wedding. Sonoma is a beautiful area with a high cost of living, so most of the hotels in the area are pricey. However, this Best Western was not worth what they charged for the rooms. This was a typical Best Western level motel (all doors were outside), with two levels around a central courtyard with a pool. The rooms have a small fireplace where they provide a complimentary fire log each day. The bathroom was clean and spacious, but water pressure was light. The towel bar near the sink was too close and crowded the sink. Overall, this was an average motel, but priced as a high-end hotel.

I'm a business traveler and I've stayed at a lot of best westerns. This is the first one I've come across that if you have to check out early they charge for the full stay. I was just at another best western in Santa Barbara this past Monday and had to check out early because work changed my schedule, no problem there. I won't be staying here again.

We go to the wine country every year or two and almost always stay at this hotel. It's walking distance from Sonoma Plaza, it's typically pretty quiet and the breakfast, while not particularly exciting, is more than adequate. We will definitely staying here again on our next trip to Napa/Sonoma.

We loved staying here! The rooms were large, clean, and the fireplace an extra bonus!!! Outside our door was the pool, hot tub, and fire pit. It was centrally located and a good place for a run! I will be forever grateful to them for finding the bag of jewelry I left and sending it to me!!! Need I say more!

We normally don't stay in best western hotels, but stayed in one in Napa that was like a very nice bed and breakfast. We have not stayed here yet and I hate this hotel already. We booked in March for a September stay with non refundable rate to save $100 a night. Do not do this, as they seem to make a lot of money this way and have no flexibility. Unfortunately we cannot stay the first night of 3 and Expedia called on our behalf and their management said absolutely no refunds. I understand nonrefundable, but not willing to do anything 6 months in advanced is poor customer service. If you are such a great top rated hotel renting one night should not be an issue 6 Months in advance. Our Thursday night that we cannot stay is half the price of the Friday and Saturday that we will be staying. Their management recommended that we cancel the 3 night and forfeit $1k and then rebook for 2 nights at $800. Hmm, that makes a lot of financial sense. Unfortunately we have come to the conclusion that customer service is dead in the US. I will never stay here again or a Best Western. I recommend finding another hotel or VRBO instead.

3 nights, almost $1000. The pits. Very noisy infrastructure. Every time the HVAC cycled it sounded like at runway at the airport with a big jet readying for takeoff. The thing about this hotel is the tall beds. They are so tall, they are somewhat of a challenge to get into. Personally, I like them. My mom, who is shorter than me almost had to get a running start to get up and in. The fun is figuring out a way to deal with the situation. Once in The bed, you never want to get out again as they are very comfy. The bathroom is spacious with the sink being on the outside. A coffeemaker is near the sink. The room is very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel has a nice lobby with a very nice coffee machine that can make a cappuccino. There is a pool and Jacuzzi in the central open courtyard. The courtyard also has a fire pit and conversation area. The 2 story hotel has exterior corridors and no elevators. Breakfast is served on a lower level at the Krug Center nearby. The breakfast includes make your own waffles, bacon, eggs, cereal, oatmeal and assorted breads and pastries. There is a variety of indoor and outdoor sitting areas to choose another is a modern fire pit and a water fountain courtyard. The indoor seating is more than adequate for about 50 people. We enjoyed a four night stay here and would definitely return.

This hotel definitely need a remodel. Every thing looks worn and old. I've stayed here twice and all the rooms have an odd odor. It is also noisy. There was a party going on the in the pool courtyard until 10pm at night which takes away from a relaxing weekend in sonoma. The only two good things was the comfortable bed and fireplace in the room. I would not stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is within minutes walking distances from Downtown, everything is perfect, set up, room, food, service. There are great restaurant in the area and the personnel has given great suggestion to visit and place to eat. Will definitively come back at this place.

The hotel room was decent. Things were clean. I loved the fireplace, we went across the street to purchase firewood to use it. The walls were paper thin, and since we were on the bottom floor, we could hear every single step. Carpet and shower could use an upgrade, porch/balcony could be cleaned off more. Outside pool area was beautiful. The weather was chilly and rainy but it was still a great setup they had by the pool and patio areas. The place where breakfast is located was also really pretty, nice garden patio. Walking distance to lots of shops and whole foods and restaurant right across the street from hotel.

Great location to the town of Sonoma and wonderful restaurants.We could walk everywhere. Our room was on the backside of the building, 2nd floor and was quiet. The pool, patio, and grounds were well maintained and flowers everywhere.

This is the second time I have stayed here during a trip to Sonoma, and I have not been disappointed either time! The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable with nice balconies overlooking the pool area. All of the staff is friendly and helpful, and having the pool and hot tub is an extra bonus. Very nice breakfast every morning and the best part, the location! We arrived, parked our car, and didn't touch it again until we left two days later, this place is walkable to shops, restaurants, and wineries! I would not hesitate to stay here again, it will be where we return on our next trip to Sonoma!

Just spent two nights there...check in was smooth and staff were very accommodating. The room itself is nice sized and clean....furniture a bit dated.The sink was outside the bathroom...something I don't like for obvious reasons. Having said that, the beds were very high and I found it uncomfortable at times....mattress was good. I was glad that we had a room on the second floor...no elevator tho...found the courtyard area to be noisy at times as this is where the pool and hot tub areas are. Kids on the first floor were noisy...could have been quieter after ten. Breakfast was included and was certainly enough to get you going, but the room was a bit small for the number of people trying to eat....would suggest eating after nine.

This place was a real treat. There are fireplaces in the rooms for the adventurous. Rooms are large and clean. The real plus is it is literally located in the middle of the town making exploring is a blast,so set aside some time. This is a destination worth returning to.

Beautifully maintained grounds, pool, spa, steam room. Our room was very clean and comfy with a nice fireplace for added ambience. This was our first vacation with our new little labradoodle. The location of our room was excellent to walk our puppy around. Very dog friendly facility.

We fled from a nearby town that was on fire to Sonoma. Because some of their staff were also fleeing, they were short staffed but did their best. We arrived at 3 a.m. and they would not have a room until the that day at 12, They offered us a seat in the lobby with tea and coffee and granola bars. We were so,glad they let us have a dog as we had no place for her. Had a nice breakfast and then they came up with a light lunch for everyone the second day. Stayed two nights and then had to leave because of fire north of town. We got a discount because of the situation. They did a good job for their guests.

It wasn't hard to find, check in staff were great, rooms were very spacious and best of all the location was perfect right across from Whole Foods, a bank and other stuff. It was near a lot of other places interesting to see and experience. We will definitely choose this place again.

Staff really were amazing specially breakfast members where really helpful with all the gluten free options, they went above and beyond. Tons of healthy options for the entire family. My favorite were the green smoothies.

My wife & 2 teenagers (13 & 14) thoroughly enjoyed our mid-week three night stay. I admit that I have never been a fan of BW properties, but this one in the heart of Sonoma was very different from my BW experiences elsewhere. Extremely helpful and friendly service, clean room, and nice amenities (hot tub, pool, sauna, 24/7 refreshment area, & full breakfast bar included). Our room even had a fireplace & Duraflame log (replaced daily) which made our evenings even more memorable during the cool, rainy week. It's proximity to the town square, Whole Foods (across the street), and central location to Sonoma wineries fit the ticket for us perfectly! Note that if you're expecting a 5-Star hotel property this may not be for you, but it's my opinion this place far exceeds its 3-Star hotel classification. We've been recommending it to our friends.

Their beds are so comfortable, I was able to sleep for hours and know that I had a Jacuzzi just outside our room. You can walk to their famous downtown area for their cheese or walk across the street for about anything you need.

This was a lovely hotel so conveniently situated for Sanoma. The check in was efficient and friendly and the bedroom that awaited us was beautiful. It was very nicely appointed and the real log fire which we lit at night added a stunning ambience to the room. Breakfast was good with a good choice.

We stayed here for two nights in February. This was our second time staying at this hotel, and we love it because it is walkable to Sonoma Square that has tons of great restaurants, shops and tasting rooms. The staff are always super friendly, and the breakfast in the morning was good, we especially liked the smoothies. Our room was on the first floor, as we didn't want to carry our luggage up the stairs, and we found it to be very quiet at night. Another great feature is that Whole foods is right across the street, so picking up snacks is super easy. Overall we would definitely stay here again.

The Best Western Sonoma Valley Inn is very conveniently located, just a block west of the Sonoma Plaza and close to Highway 12. There's a Whole Foods Market across the street and a large Safeway grocery about three blocks away. The Inn has several different wings, and I was assigned a room in the original building, very close to the office. The room was OK, with good TV and internet services. Everything worked well in the bathroom. The included breakfast is in the Krug Center, which is in a separate building at the rear of the property. It seems silly to drive to breakfast from your room, but some people apparently did that. It's only about a 3 min walk, and definitely worth it. I brought fresh OJ from the Whole Foods Market, and had scrambled eggs, which were freshly made. There were two issues with the room: 1) the heating and air-conditioning unit isn't very powerful. I was there on a cool evening (below 40F) and the unit just couldn't heat the room, especially the far end where the bathroom is located. I had to wear an extra layer to bed to stay warm; 2) the bed isn't very comfortable, and my experience would have been greatly improved if they had put a foam topper on the mattress. Those aren't very expensive and would have made a big difference. The Best Western was a good value, especially for that area. If I were returning to Sonoma, I'd consider staying there again.

This is a great location for walking around town. There are restaurants, shops and wineries nearby. The pool, spa, steam room area is lovely. The breakfast had lots of options-smoothies and fresh eggs- and one could sit outside or in. I needed a sweater to sit inside though. Both pleasing environments. The evening desk clerk was friendly and helpful. TV had MSNBC which is a must. Only issues were parking-almost none. Also a bell that went off more than once during the night. A little unsettling as the fires had just ended. All and all a pleasant stay and would definitely stay again. Show less

This was the best location in Sonoma walk to shopping, the plaza/square, and lots of restaurants!! The room was huge and had the best fireplace! Wonderful breakfast with great outside area with fire pit as well as a great inside room. If we ever get back to Sonoma we will 100% stay at this hotel. Everyone could not have been more accommodating and nice!

The down flow location made a good base for a weekend of wine tasting. There are 15 + wine tasting rooms you can walk to, reducing the need to walk. The hotel presented a satisfying breakfast including waffles, real eggs, sweets and healthy smoothies. value priced but included some luxuries, refrigerator And qworkjing fireplace. Mission style furniture seemed new. We will visit again.

We were revered to this hotel from the Traveller's Bureau in Sonoma, on the basis of a fair rate. When we appeared at the hotel were informed there were no rooms available at the rate. Okay, so we were offered a suite and told it would not be ready until 4 as it was a Sunday night as ithey had a full hotel through the weekend and housekeeping was behind. Nicely appointed and spacious room. We decided to put on the heat as it became cooler in the late afternoon. The heat did not come on, front desk was alerted They sent a service person who could not fix it. He came back twice with a technician, with no resolve. They offered us a blanket. Besides having our entire evening interrupted tree times and then finding the jet tub not clean, we were frustrated and disappointed, as we looking forward to a relaxing evening in Sonoma. Upon checkout, manager was summoned and we were offered a $30 discount. Not a satisfactory conclusion. We are Best Western club members but will certainly look to alternative lodging in Sonoma on future business.

Greeted on entry by 3 large dogs whom get to go to work with their owners, I knew this place would be good! Great location, helpful staff, nice room, great breakfast, other guests were extremely noisy first night! We were on bottom floor and you would of thought they were moving the furniture around upstairs! Should have brought swimsuit for jacuzzi!

All in all a nice hotel, comfy beds and decent size rooms. The bathrooms could do with modernising but other than that the rooms were good. And the location is fantastic. Breakfast was nice, but maybe not worth paying extra if it's not included in your rate. Great service from everyone there and really helpful information and tips on the local area.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It's a little loud and the pillows aren't the best, but overall, it's a cozy place to stay, and you can't beat it for convenience and location (a Whole Foods right across the street, and the plaza a very short walk away). When I checked in, the young woman at the desk gave me a great dinner recommendation and a map with a shortcut of how to get to the restaurant. The hotel also happens to be one of the few places I could find in town that didn't require a two-night minimum stay -- very helpful for my spur-of-the-moment decision to get away for a day. I would stay here again.

This trip was a last minute anniversary gift from our daughter, son, and daughter-in-law. Our stay was a two night weekend trip. POSITIVES: Ron at the front desk was able to get us into an available room before standard check-in time. Room was in very good condition. My wife and I were impressed with the space of the Railroad Suite room 311. Room was on the ground floor, and was in the back part of the property. Furniture was comfortable, with a large screen TV over the fireplace. A kingsize poster style bed, oak wood dresser with more than sufficient storage in drawers, two night stands with lamps, and a small TV on top of the dresser for bed viewing. A small refrigerator, a microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker were included in the room. The large 2 person (one person facing the other) jetted tub was in decent shape, and provided 6 jets on the sides (3 on each leg). Folding window louvers cover all windows and an open space between the tub and bedroom. You can watch TV from the tub! Walk in oversized shower is designed to accommodate wheelchair, so it is large. Bathroom closet has a small safe for personal items (large enough to hold a laptop). Room has an outdoor walled patio with lounge and chair (maybe more, but we didn't go out on it) Courtyard just outside our room had a gas fire pit with enough seating for 10 people. Also, a large outdoor water fountain was in the courtyard. Well lit and comfortable for enjoying relaxing time. Morning breakfast was very good, with delicious options for breakfast. BEST FREE BREAKFAST you will ever enjoy! CVS and Whole Foods across the street from inn. Town square is only about two blocks away, easily within walking distance (if you are healthy, on the weekends, probably easier to walk than find parking). Electric charging station for electric cars. Property appears to be well-maintained. NEGATIVES: Very few negative issues of any significance. Room front door is missing weather stripping, allowing outside air and noise into room. Breakfast begins at 7am, which is in a room 20 feet from your head on your pillow in this room (which does not have any soundproofing in the walls). THANKFULLY, upstairs guests could not be heard walking or talking, but we could hear their jetted tub drain. Heating/air conditioning unit is quite noisy, but most units at all hotels are noisy. Filter was dirty, as was the filter grille. [Note to management: Filters need to be changed every 90 days MAX at a hotel: too much foot traffic. I'm just an HVAC contractor, so...]There is no fan in the bathroom, so bring your air spray and be prepared for foggy mirrors. Also, there is no magnifying makeup mirror, but there is good lighting in the bathroom. No jets in the tub for your backs, which a major downer. Very little space in bath closet to hang clothes. Finally, before breakfast, breakfast staff get ice from the ice machine, which is 10 feet from your head on the pillow. RECOMMENDATION: We did not use the hot tub or pool, so we have no comment. However, I would have to say I was surprised by how well-apportioned the room was, the space and the amenities. Noise at breakfast was the only major drawback. If that is a problem, you may want to stay upstairs. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and the facilities, and would stay there again.

I've stayed at several Best Westerns, and this one was the nicest. First it's within walking distance of Sonoma Plaza, Whole Foods, Baskin Robbins, pretty much anything you need. Check-in was a breeze, and really friendly employees. I stayed in Room 220, it's not super close to the stairway but close enough to get your stuff upstairs pretty easily. Windows on two sides in this King Bed room with mini fridge, hot plate, microwave and jetted tub. Awesome room for the price, along with 2 for 1 wine tasting passes to local wineries included in my Groupon deal. My only complaints are that the door to the room is in need of weatherstripping and the heavy odor of room deodorizer when you walk in. Overall this is a great place to stay and I will definitely be back for another visit.

For the price I paid,(online deal), I can't believe how great this room was. There was a 55” flat screen tv, kitchenette, jacuzzi tub, king size bed, spacious room with seating area and breakfast included. I was only there 1 night but for future visits, I'll plan on staying longer because the comfort level was amazing. And it's a good central location for exploring the Sonoma Valley.

Economical property with comfortable, clean rooms and wonderful staff just a block from the Sonoma Square. The jacuzzi is located just off the patios and the hotel was quiet even on New Year's Eve. Breakfast had eggs and sausage as well waffles. Basic but filling.

Great hotel close to the town centre attractions. We walked everywhere (we like walking) including Ravenswood winery (also highly recommended). The buffet breakfast is good and the room (206) was very comfortable with a small balcony over the pool area. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. If you need some supplies there is a Whole Foods market over the road which is open until 9pm I think. Recommended for your Sonoma stay

This property is a gem. Close to Sonoma town square, always clean facilities, and great customer experience with the staff. Walk to dining, shopping and never need to use your car. Overall, you cannot do any better if you are planning a trip, be it business or recreational, to Sonoma.

We were greeted immediately when we stepped into the lobby to check in. We were given a gift bag for our dog who was travelling with us, which impressed us. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We booked a king suite and had a nice Jacuzzi tub and fireplace in the room, as well as a balcony. Buffet breakfast in the mornings is always a nice touch, and the food is good. We were in walking distance of Whole Foods and the downtown Sonoma square, which has some great restaurants. We plan to stay here again.

This is a great economical choice for visitors who want to be in downtown Sonoma. The front desk staff are so welcoming and the rooms are very clean. We had an extremely drunk and loud guest next to us and I called the front desk at 3am but they were already all over it. i would definitely stay here again.

Traveling east from SF this was a great place to stay. Good quality rooms & comfortable beds. Close to town where you can walk around & across the road to fantastic shopping mall & yummy Thai restaurant. The included breakfast in the tariff was amazing. Highly recommend.

Do NOT give this place your business! We were scheduled to attend a medical a conference here and when the fires were encroaching and making a visit dangerous, the conference was appropriately relocated to Monterey, CA. We immediately called for a refund of our hotel reservation. The staff asked us to call back in a week. I knew they were likely in a chaotic situation, so I agreed. That next week, the so-called ‘manager' was rude, had an angry tone and refused to give us a refund, stating the imminent danger was past. Well, yes, because he made me wait a week to speak to him!! What an unkind fellow, clearly not the right person for this position. I would NEVER recommend this place!!!!

Perfectly located in the heart of Sonoma and a short walk to restaurants and historic places of interest. The rooms are big, clean and well designed with all the amenities you would need, the breakfast was fresh and tasty with hot options and healthy options as well. Thanks to Ron on reception for making us feel welcome and getting us into our room before official checkin time. I highly recommend the Best Western Sonoma!

My Fiancé and I loved this place due to its location (downtown; walking distance to bars and restaurants; also near a Whole Foods and CVS pharmacy) and its amenities (above average continental breakfast, fireplace with firewood, ability to use a local gym, winery discounts, etc.). We will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I wanted to spend time at the Sonoma Cornerstone so we booked a night at the Best Western (the price and location were the reasons). When we checked in, we were upgraded to a suite (at no additional $$) because the other rooms were needed by a large party. We were extremely pleased! Room was great and clean. Would definitely consider staying there in the future.

This is our go to spot to stay in Sonoma. The hotel is extremely clean with great amenities, and reasonably priced. Best of all, it has a great location, with only a short walk to the town square of Sonoma. Leave the car behind and walk to restaurants and shops, and WINE!!!

The motel itself is an average no frills establishment. The included self-serve breakfast is okay. I don't mind that there is no mini-bar, restaurant, or elevator, but I hate being cheated. I traveled to Sonoma to attend a wedding and was referred to this motel by the venue because "special" room rates were reserved for guests of the party. I called Best Western Sonoma Inn and they offered me the "special" rate of $139 per night per room, non-refundable, paid in full at the time of reservation. I accepted and paid for the room. It is a situation I am familiar with and understood that room is fully paid for. At time I checked in there was no mention of any need to charge credit card. It was only after I checked out that Best Western Sonoma Inn billed my credit card an additional $17.07. They claimed it was for "room tax". I protested but they refused to remove the bogus charge. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and weeks later, they have yet to respond. If this was a legitimate fee, why did management not inform me when I was at the desk in person. Why did they not give me a receipt? Or mail a receipt?

We planned a two day visit to Sonoma and had a very nice stay in this Best Western. The room was clean nicely appointed , had a fireplace and the included brunch breakfast was good and varied. We didn't take advantage of the pool but it was heated and kept clean. In the reception lobby area they provided hot apple cider, coffee and teas, granola bars to go. It is only a short walk to center of town and right off Rt. 12 for driving to various vineyards.

Came to stay as part of a wedding party. While attempting to get ready, I had no hot water. The hotel clerk kept telling me I needed to wait for someone to come in and hour after I needed to be at the venue. Eventually accommodated, but it sounded like this problem occurred all to often and the time it took to rectify it was awful.

Lovely grounds with lights, flowers, pool, hot tub, fire pit. The staff loaned us wine glasses and bottle opener to enjoy out Sonoma finds! So close to everything; Sonoma square, restaurants, tasting rooms, wineries. Loved our stay!

This hotel should not charge what it does for substandard room decor. It's is very outdated. You can hear your neighbors. The only thing it has going for it is the location. Cant beat that. With red grape and girl and fog near by. It is pretty awesome. The staff is nice but there was a huge mix up and basically for 1 room night, when I went to check in...there were 4 rooms in my name and since I was never sent a confirmation I had no idea that the hotel had 4 names under my reservation. Trust me...I am an event planner and I don't let things like this slip by. When I called central reservation it said I had two reservations though the hotel operator and reservation desk had completely different info. What a nightmare! It turns out bookings.com double booked me which will eventually get fixed but what a nightmare it has been to try to resolve this.

Best Western is a block from the Square. Reasonably priced for Sonoma with clean quiet rooms. It's an older property that has been well maintained and is very comfortable. Front desk staff was very friendly. Across from a casual restaurant called the Black Bear that serves good breakfasts. Whole Foods is right across the street along with several cute shops in the strip mall. Worth checking out. Great dinners at El Dorado (make a reservation) and Sonoma Grille. Being able to walk to shops and restaurants - and wine tastings- make this a good choice for a visit to Sonoma.

This Best Western is a great place to stay within walking distance of the historic Sonoma Plaza. Hotel has a pool and hot tub. Room was comfortable and has a fireplace and extra large TV. Staff were friendly.

This hotel tops all the places we have stayed in the area. We go to the Napa/Sonoma area at least twice a year along with our other travels and this is by far our favorite place to stay. The area to see is within walking distance and along with many restaurants. This hotel has a large garden patio with pool and hot tub. It's the perfect place to relax after seeing the Sonoma/Napa area. We have traveled a great deal and highly recommend this hotel as the rooms and breakfast were beyond anything you can ask for.

Nice location (walking distance to center of Town, Restaurants, etc.) Very quiet, our Suite was well equipped (located at the Rear of Premises). Did not use the Pool or Spa but it looked well maintained. Breakfast was very good (nice offerings). Would return here again.

Room was clean and large, we were in the back building in the Krug event center, 2nd floor. Several restaurants are close, we ate pizza at the Red wine, it was an upscale place, the pizza we had was delicious. There is a whole foods in the neighborhood.

Excellent, competent staff, great breakfasts and walking distance to the Historic Sonoma Plaza and Mission. Famous wineries and tasting rooms near by. Variety of gourmet restaurants, hamburger cafe and Irish Pub. Music at the Speak Easy down the alley on the square.

We stayed at this property in Nov. 2017. It is an aging 2-story 1960s-style motel with a great location. There is no elevator. The rooms were sparsely furnished, but clean and the bedding was comfortable. There was a fridge under the sink. Overall, not a good value for your lodging dollar. My main reason for the poor overall rating was because of the poor customer service and staff attitude. We woke one morning at 7:00am to no hot water. We called the front desk and were informed that the maintenance crew did not come in until 8:00am. There was no "sorry for the inconvenience" and, in fact, the attitude was more "oh, not again." Upon checkout later that morning I mentioned the hot water issue. Once again there were no words of understanding and the staff simply stated that the boiler had gone out and the problem was now fixed. Still no "sorry for the inconvenience."

Located directly off the square, clean, well priced, friendly people, free breakfast, directly off the square, parking, directly off the square. Did i say directly off the square? Look no further you can taste wine all day and walk back! So GO! DJ

Great location, walk everywhere, great facilities! Pool, hot tub & steam room an added bonus. Rooms large with a fireplace if needed. Grocery store across the street. Outside space very nice. Highly recommend this hotel!

I live in Puerto Rico, an island in the Caribbean recently devastated by Hurricane Maria. My husband and I planned our first vacation with our son for November 2017 with many expectations for our trip. We included a visit to Sonoma Valley in our plan and make the travel arrangements several months before, including our stay in Best Western Sonoma Valley for Nov 20-22. Because of the devastation of our island, and taking in consideration our recent economic situation, we decided to cancel our Sonoma visit. The island was so devastated that we have been without telecommunications after the hurricane. Even today, I have to move miles away from home in order to have access to internet or has an stable phone call. For the aforementioned, I started calling the Best Western management as soon as I could to ask them for a "waiver" on their Cancellation Policy considering our difficult situation. Because the reservation was made through Booking, they required me to communicate directly with them and tell them to call the hotel. I communicated with Booking, who tried to call several times to talk to the manager (Jack) of the Best Western Sonoma Valley without success. Finally, after three weeks and many efforts, Booking was able to communicate with the manager, who declined to cancel and return our money. I am impressed by the lack of consideration to us because of the crisis that my island is going through due to Hurricane Maria. I know that Sonoma Valley is also going through a difficult situation because of the fires and we feel very sorry for that, but we expected some consideration due to the devastation of Puerto Rico and the challenges it represents to us. I can't believe that the hotel could not return our money, knowing we have been victims of a Category 4 Hurricane. I will never consider to stay in a Best Western again and I feel sorry for the lack of empathy that the management has expressed in our case.
