Super friendly people, clean and breakfast was hot and had a good variety! Would definitely stay again!! I loved the wall of picture of the pets that stayed. The location was perfect. Located right by the mall.

This was a good location choice for our stay in Sioux Falls. Close to I 29, shopping areas and restaurants.Their parking lot was well lit. On arrival it was a good feeling to be welcomed by friendly and helpful staff. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was spacious and clean and beds were comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers. Yeah, also plenty of outlets for charging. Breakfast was in a clean and well attended area and offered a good variety of hot and cold items. The entire staff was very courteous and accommodating. I would stay again.

Do not stay here if you like clean, the dirt hanging off the ac vents, dirty stained carpet at door, you could feel springs in the bed, no toiletries or shampoo, and they could do nothing about any of it when I reported it

We've been here before. Lot less money this time (off season?)…. around $130 with dog and all. Man at check in was nice. We got a goodie bag for us with Oreos and popcorn and water… Bonzer (dog) got a couple milk ones and a chew toy ( and a poop bag.) We got in late, had a one king room with a kitchenette and dining table, sofa, etc. Clean comfortable bed, nice linens. Kind of poor bath towels - thin. Right across from the elevator, but it wasn't noisy. Good hot breakfast. Both waffle and pancake machines and scrambled eggs, sausage links, premade French toast, a yogurt station, etc. Seemed busy at breakfast

Location is decent in an area with lots of other motels. Check in/out was a bit rough but after contacting manager he was able to fix it. Beds are extremely comfortable and rooms are decent for being an older motel. Breakfast was good but the area can become crowded quickly.

I stayed with my mom here when we were traveling through. Quiet and safe. Zack was the manager on duty, maybe the GM? He was so helpful in giving us information about Sioux Falls. There is some construction on the main road but it was navigable and wasn't noisy. The staff members I encountered were all very friendly and accommodating.

The staff were all very friendly, they were able to answer our questions and their service was great! The location was very good for all the locations we wanted to visit: the zoo, the aquarium, the movie theater and the Empire Mall. The room was very clean and nice and had everything we needed.

This place was disgusting and not a representation of the BW brand. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling, stains on the carpet, and we were put in a room with a view of trash dumpsters and transients. I was there for maybe 30 minutes and left. I informed the front desk that I couldn't stay there and was checking out and the reasons why and all he could say was "sorry". We went a few miles out to the Ramkota which was a fantastic BW. I am requesting a refund. This place is way overpriced and someone from BW should audit this location.

Overall a good experience. Our room was on the ground floor and the outside noise interfered with sleep. The roads were torn up for repair or construction making it inconvenient to get to the hotel. We did not use the pool so cannot comment on that. Room was clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was standard for an included hotel breakfast and the breakfast area was clean and maintained.

This is the first BW we have stayed in that did not meet our expectations for a room rate of $173 per night. I don't understand all the good reviews. The property is not being well maintained, sofa in lobby is scuffed and worn, definitely should be replaced. General area of the lobby is a bit cluttered, walls are scuffed, noisy elevator, just a general appearance of a lack of care. Staff were polite, but not very personable. Our room was clean, but mattresses have a dip in the middle. Can't comment on the breakfast as we won't be staying for that.

I booked this room using hotels.com. when I arrived the woman at the front desk charged me for another room. I have tried to contact them since but was told to wait for a manager but one is never available. She has lied everytime and refuses to fix the issue.

Nice property. Clean and modern room. Beds were comfortable. Fast and easy check in. Price was reasonable. Near lots of restaurants. Parking was easy and adequate. Very nice property and I would definitely stay here again.

This is a very nice, clean Best Western. Hotel staff is very friendly & accommodating. The continental breakfast was good with a nice variety and the coffee was delicious. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Comfortable beds, clean, nice breakfast. Pleasantly surprised. I think this will be our goto motel from now on. If you want to be close to shopping and food and a little ways away from the freeway this is the perfect location.

The sweet lady that checked me in was exceptionally nice and informative. The room was clean and I was upgraded to a very nice suite since I made my reservation last minute. They also let me check in a little early since I arrived a little early. Great experience.

This hotel is close to the interstate and is close to the mall for shopping and there are several restaurants nearby. The breakfast was adequate. The service was friendly and well informed. We have stayed here before and will stay here again.

We were in town for a college campus visit. This place is fairly central and it was easy to get to the places we were going. 10-15 minutes from downtown. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfy. The breakfast was okay, but they often ran out of hot items. We did not use the pool, but it looked clean and small. Overall a great place to stay for the price.

Pet policy needs to be reviewed and made clearer. Restaurants nearby list needs to be updated: there is not a Old Chicago, Benihana or Lone Star close by. These three have been closed for almost 3 years or more.

My go-to hotel in Sioux Falls, SD. From front desk to cleaning and breakfast staff, the employees make this a great place to stay in the heart of the southern Sioux Falls business district. Great breakfast and pool is clean.

Room was clean and the beds were comfortable but the hallway smelled strongly of pot. No staff or breakfast in the morning. We left at 730 and couldn't find anyone to check out with or get breakfast. No pool towels.

One of the reasons we seek out a Best Western Hotel when traveling is that we can usually count on their cleanliness and a good breakfast. This hotel did not disappoint. There was a good variety of options for breakfast to get us off for a good start to the day and the food was hot. Some motels have cold food that doesn't taste well. That was not the case here. Second Best Western we stayed at on our vacation. This was a little better than the other. Area where is was located seemed little scary with several people walking around and looking for hand outs. Room was clean but during the night sounded like people were jumping on the floor above for over an hour. Then across the hall had a dog that barked half the night. I didn't feel that's really the hotel just guest issue so it's just what happens. Breakfast just ok nothing special.

I have to say we had a lot of confusion the evening we checked in due to having four rooms and then suddenly canceling two due to a death and then it ended up being postponed the funeral to still go on our VC Since it has been booked for several months upon our arrival like I said there was a huge mixup but Jeni at the front desk made sure we still had rooms and I honored our price I believe she had to call the owner or manager to see if she could but she went above and beyond out of her way to make that happen Jenny had a beautiful way about her and her smile her hospitality was great and she know how do use kind words thank you so much Jeni and the best western to all your staff thank you from the cleanliness, hospitality friendliness, Breakfast and who else I am forgetting thanks again

I tried calling with a question about my reservation. Across multiple days, nobody answered the phone. I called at least 30 times and left a couple messages, never got a response. I should have cancelled my reservation then and there. I arrived - and the person at the desk was rude and unhelpful. I asked to be put on the first floor in both my reservation notes and the phone messages and they still put us on the second floor. I was traveling with my elderly father who has mobility issues and they said they didn't have any first floor rooms. It was a random Tuesday night - it wasn't like they were sold out. They could have easily accommodated that if they cared at all. I will never stay at a Best Western again after my experience - and certainly not this location.

We got a restful night's sleep and were able to quickly get our business done. This hotel was in a fine location for us. We will stay here again when in town on business! The hotel grounds were clean, and the room was exceptionally clean. The staff when checking in was very helpful with making sure we had a pleasant stay!

It was so nice to walk in to a clean hotel. Our room had the air conditioner going, so our room was already nice and cool. The room was clean and there was a welcome note from housekeeping! It was a welcome relief after a long day of travel.

On July 3rd we made a reservation for the 7th. On the 7th we completed the online check-in. We arrived after 10 like we had told them we would when we checked in to find out there were not available rooms. Evidently their computers had gone down during the night before and things got messed up. Their solution: to send is next door to an inferior hotel at the same price. I left my contact information and have called and left another message to find out how they are goi f to compensate us for the once inconvenience and loss of rewards. We had signed up for two promotions, one of which would earn us a free night. Bad form Beat Western, still waiting.

Was a little apprehensive when we arrived. Outside appeared outdated and crowded by other businesses. But inside was a different impression. It was clean and fresh. Our room was everything you expect from a hotel- clean fresh and well supplied with basic necessities. A special shout out to Ali in the breakfast area. He was as pleasant as can be, very polite. He went above and beyond keeping everything stocked and sanitizing tables chairs and countertop. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others!!!

Payed through priceline.com Paid $241 for 2 days. JUNE 29TH AND 30TH 2022.. Front desk Staff Charged me 2 times at $241 for my 2 day stay that was already Paid for. Front desk Staff Now does not want to resolve the issue. I have been calling the hotel for 3 days. This is my Third attempt to retrieve my missing funds. Avoid this hotel if you are Booking Any stay online or through a third party.. Staff is not trained on Accepting virtual Payments and Respond negatively when brought to attention of monetary mistakes made. I Had to call the hotel and Suprise they don't have internet access to Fix and refund me!! Bringing to higher ups with the Franchise. Manager is polite and Attempting to fix the issue.

The pool broke a few days prior and that was, in part, one of the reasons for choosing this hotel over a lower priced one. The beds were uncomfortable and the water had a slight smell to it. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and we were happy with the breakfast in the morning.

We were on our way to see Mt. Rushmore and this was the stop we chose so our final trip in we could stop and see other sites. The front desk clerks were very nice and helpful. The breakfast area was small, however there were several options and the person that was handling the food was making sure everything was fully stocked at all times. We really appreciated that type of consideration. The hotel was older, however it served its purpose and we all slept well and started our next day rested and well fed. The single night stay was a little pricier than we would have liked, however it was 1 night and a Friday.

When you have travelled all day, and it's hot, and you try to check in... Desk clerk asks for my ID and credit card. Then says she can't find the reservation, and wants to see the email confirmation. I told her we made the reservation months ago. Could she not look us up? NO, need the reservation email. After having to ask for my id and credit card back, I go to the car and find my printed trip itinerary, which includes the confirmation number, bring that back. NO, she can't look up our reservation using the confirmation number, she needs the email. I get husband, who tells her reservation was made MONTHS ago and he has thousands of emails to dig through. She wants his email address and he says no. She takes his ID and credit card. After a few minutes while he's searching for the email, she says Oh, here it is right here, with today's scheduled arrivals! She says our credit card is declined (NO way!) - she's trying to scan it. He says it's a chip, please use the chip reader. She can't - it's broken, can we give her a different credit card. He says No. She says, OK then I'll manually enter it. Which of course, worked. Not to mention we had to confirm our reservation with same credit card way back months ago. this hotel seems messed up, and we feel like it was a scam/setup and are hoping our credit card and ID info weren't copied while we were distracted. As we left to go find dinner, she was checking in someone else, and as we walked by, she was asking that person what was her password. What? Why would she need anyone's password for anything? Also, we don't use the pool, but it's under repair, looks like for a while. Not very happy with this Best Western. We haven't stayed at one for some time, and probably won't again for some time.

Some mixed reviews on Trip Advisor, but we went ahead and stayed here and it was very nice. The woman at checkin was very busy, but friendly and helpful. They gave us a ‘goodie bag' since we were rewards card holders, which contained a bottle of water, some Oreos, granola bars, Gardettos and microwave popcorn. There was an elevator and our room was on the third floor. Nice spacious room. Very clean also nice bathroom. One towel was good and one very good. You could hear people in the hall, though. Breakfast as a bit thin. The waffle batter lacked a spout at first, but got fixed. They also had some cereals that weren't sugary. Good juice. Coffee cup lids didn't fit. They were very short handed and in the morning, the woman checking people out was also setting up the breakfast room. She was still kind and friendly through it all. (About 12 days late) Second time in little over a week. Much the same except we didn't get popcorn in our goodie bag and did get a whole bag for the dog… with a cute bowl, poop bags, a chew toy and milk bones. Very nice. Our room was on the second floor and larger, with a ‘bump out' containing a table, four chairs and a roll of paper towels. (?) Right over the entrance, which seems fine, but there was a bright light that was hard to block out. Bed a bit soft. Real complaint is that last Tuesday we spent $113.61. [$82 for room, $20 for dog, the rest in taxes and fees]. This time it was $218.10 [$197 for room, $20 for the dog and the rest in taxes and fees.] The difference was that flooding had just closed the entries to Yellowstone and folks were clamoring for rooms. Price gouging at its best (worst?) We'd stay again if only for the ladies at the desk.

We booked this hotel because it was the last stop on our trip and our kids were so excited to swim in the pool. When we arrived, no one told us it was closed, we had to walk by and see the hole in the ceiling for ourselves. We had two very disappointed kiddos. When checking in, there was a new girl getting trained. She was doing great and doing her best. The girl training her was SO rude to her. I felt really uncomfortable and bad for the new girl. The lock on our door fell off as if someone had just stuck it in the wall and crossed their fingers that it would stay. I'm glad I found the screws and not my 2 year old. We had our AC turned on high at the lowest temp. It never got cold in our room. It was hot and stuffy. There was an employee closet next to our room and no one was ever quiet while accessing it. The walls are VERY thin. Unfortunately pretty bummed about this stay.

Checked in at 3:45 p.m. on a Friday. Our room had a terrible odor of tobacco, giving my family a headache. (It smelled like someone spilled their chewing tobacco spitter and it never got cleaned up.) We informed the staff and asked to switch rooms, but none were available. Hotel staff did not smell the room or try to identify the odor, they just started spraying a deodorizer as they walked in the door. We left for over an hour to let the deodorizer work, but when we came back the odor was still there with no change. (They also informed us we could open a window to help with the smell...) If they could not switch us to another room, we asked if we could check out with a refund. Hotel said they would approve a refund, but we had to go through our booking website. Called the booking website, which had to call the hotel for approval, and apparently the hotel was only approving a 50% refund. Decided we could not stay there for our health, and checked out at about 5:45 p.m. We were physically in the room for probably 30-45 minutes total, got headaches from the smell and still had to pay 50% of the cost. Not a good experience. We are reasonable people, who wanted to stay at that location. The room looked nice, but the odor was just too much. The fact that the hotel would only refund 50% when they failed to provide a clean/comfortable room is unbelievable to me.

My friend and I stayed here for a weekend in March for a girls weekend for shopping. The hotel was clean, and the room was big and the beds were clean. I stay here a lot and the staff is always so friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel all the time.

My wife and I arrived at hotel early front desk attendee nice enough to let us in room early. The first room my wife notice in refrigerator black mold was not a great start to our three day stay. we informed the front desk of the situation she sympatized with our issue and made and gave us another room next door for our convenience for such a long journey to them she was thoughtful to make the transition to a clean room with no black mold or any other uncleanliness. The stay from then on was nice staff nice the location was amazing. business in a 5 mile radius was the like of Walmart, fast foods, and family dinning. Looking forwards to next stay. By the way the owner made it right by also compensating us for the black mold mishap by giving us 50% off our first day stay. thank you.

My husband and I recently stayed at Best Western Empire Towers for five nights on a business trip. The initial room we were given appeared clean -- until I opened the refrigerator door and found a bad of rotten food the stunk horribly. The front desk clerk was appalled and quickly moved us to another room -- no smells, and clean...once I scrubbed off several areas of grease from the table in the kitchenette. Went to use the garbage disposal on the third day -- only to find it wasn't working. Drain in the shower/tub was very sluggish. Not sure who was having a "party," but Saturday night and Sunday there was a heavy smell of pot in the lobby, elevator, and third floor hall. The breakfast area was kept very clean and full during the week (the amazing front desk clerk, I think her name was Nia/Nya? was pulling double duty and keeping that in order as well as front desk duties), but everything was quite messy and sticky on Saturday and Sunday when she wasn't there. Our room was quite spacious (king room with kitchenette) but I'd recommend against room #313 as it is right next to the ice machine which got quite noisy. Housekeeping came in on our fourth day after we requested them, but dirty paper towels were crumpled on the floor (that we didn't use). I will say -- this was a last minute reservation and MUCH nicer than our originally booked hotel next door which was moldy and smelled of beer when one walked in. We had to change hotels as mold is extremely toxic to me. It was frustrating to call BWET to book a room only to find calling the front desk for a reservation was about $40 more per night than booking directly through bestwestern.com.

Bed was terrible! Had a huge dip on one side of the bed as if someone had been sleeping there for months. It was so bad you would practically just roll off. Did not sleep. And to add to it the water spelt like sewer. Like we felt like we had to use bottled water to rinse our mouth and felt dirty after a shower. Terrible experience!

For it's location it was remarkably quiet so that was appreciated. Staff was able to accommodate our request for first floor. We were able to park very near the entrance where our room was located. Room was clean and well stocked with linens and coffee packets.

The motel was clean (even if my handheld shower didn't work in handicapped room), and the breakfast was good. But watch your bill for overcharges as the front desk staff over charged me severely and then didn't know how to fix it. What a hassle. And I do believe I was not the only one that this happened to during this time frame.

I stayed at the hotel in July and August. I was double billed for three rooms. I have tried and tried since then to get in touch with anyone who was willing to take responsibility for the double billing. It is now December 27 and I was told today that I could expect a refund in three months. That is completely unacceptable! They owe me over $500! Neither the hotel or corporate will accept responsibilty. I believe this hotel is committing fraud!

I would definitely recommend this hotel. The facility was very very clean and comfortable. The staff was great. The pool was nice, I wish I had brought my swim suit. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The area of town had plenty to offer.

Will stay again, had some awesome customer service when checking in, I had called front desk a few times for questions and a wake up call and I was surprised there are still people who work hard. Thanks Best Western for having a great team

This place was nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a room with an alcove that had a table and chairs and that was handy. One of the things I have found lacking on this trip in the bathrooms are handrails and some of these tubs are very slippery.

This was a quick trip for a Cross Country meet. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. Breakfast was delicious with several different options. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent access near Empire Mall and 41st Street. Clean rooms, pool, breakfast; all for a reasonable price. I was appreciative of the friendly and helpful counter staff clerks who found me a single bed room versus my reservation room that had 2 beds.

I stayed in this hotel on July 15, 2021 and was billed a second time for my room on September 2, 2021. I have called the hotel multiple times as well as the main Best Western customer service number. It is now the second week in October. The fact that neither the hotel nor corporate customer service has done anything to resolve this issue is simply unacceptable. I ended up filing a claim with my credit card company.

My wife and I arrived Wednesday to find a clean main room but long black hairs were on the inside of the shower curtain. We had no housekeeping the next morning so we asked for them. We were ignored by housekeeping the rest of our 3 day stay.

The actual stay at the hotel was fine. There is a very serious problem with this location's billing process. I reserved 3 rooms for multi-night stays. I was billed for 4 rooms upon checkout and was told problem would be resolved. Three weeks later, I was billed for all 4 rooms again. The amount of the overcharge is well into the 4 digits. I have called the hotel 70+ times -- absolutely no response. I filed a complaint with BW corporate -- no response. This has been going on for 2 months. Outright fraud. My previous reviews on other sites have been removed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Empire Towers in Sioux Falls. The hotel was clean, the staff was very helpful and the hotel was located in an area with great amenities. We will definitely seek out the Best Western Empire Towers if we are in the Sioux Falls area.

We stayed here once before in 2019 on our way to the Black Hills with our good friend from the UK Because we have family in SD we need a place to stay over night on our way to see them. Our first time was a good experience so we opted to stay here again. Nice room, clean and quiet. Price is good too. What I really like is the location as there are many good places to eat nearby. Also easy on and easy off the highway 29. Breakfast was hot and plenty to eat. This time we had enough spare time to see the Park Falls and the USS South Dakota battleship memorial. Not far from the hotel. Our GPS got us there quickly. Its the first time after coming to SD for the last 30 years we got to see more of Sioux Falls. Nice town. We will be back someday.

This hotel charged me a second time for my stay six weeks later. I notice this is happening to others who stay here as well. I reported this to Best Western who spoke with the desk clerk, and they promised to call me several weeks ago. They have not! They do not answer the phone nor call back after leaving messages. Best Western said it would be corrected, but I haven't heard from anyone at the BW Empire Towers since. I will be contacting my bank. It appears as if they have been making fraudulent charges on their guests' credit cards. Be alert of extra billings for your stay there.

We chose this since it was on our route and was at a place we had never stopped at. The hotel was nice and the front desk was helpful with telling us about places to eat. We felt good about the place and breakfast was on par with other BWs.

Absolutely no customer service ... never answered front desk phone. I tried several times both in evening and morning. Breakfast was OK. But think items could have been displayed in a better way to prevent cross contamination

Charged us a second time for our stay weeks later. This has been reported several times on other reviews by others also. They do not answer the phone nor call back after leaving messages. Spoke to a Morgan Hamilton once , she claimed it was a glitch and it would be corrected, and haven't heard from her since. A glitch doesn't happen several times over several people's different dates of stay. Will be filing a fraud report and contacting my bank as well as their corporate office. It appears as if they have been making fraudulent charges on their guests credit cards.

I stayed with this property, Best Western Empire Towers, in July. Since then the hotel has charged me on two more occasions, again in August and September. They will not pick up their phone; I cannot get the larger body of Best Western to refund the money. Do not stay here. Find another location who is not scamming folks out of their monies.

This place was fairly clean except my husband said he had to rinse the tub of quite a few black hairs before he showered. We didn't have the breakfast so don't know how that was. Plenty of parking. There is a pool inside. The price was very reasonable.

This place was my family's favorite hotel we stayed in during our recent family vacation. We stayed here going West and then on our way back home, and both experiences were very pleasant. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pool was clean and offered a refresher from all the time spent in our vehicle. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast options offered something for each member of my family. Would definitely make a return visit to this location … and will definitely recommend it to friends/family who travel West.

This was our first time in SD - Hotel was perfect for what we needed and close to our conference. GREAT breakfast selection, well stocked, clean hotel and comfortable. People upstairs had a young child that like to run alot however its a hotel and not home. We will choose again if in area.

I prepaid for my room prior to my stay. Prior to departing I noticed they charged me again and I was assured that my credit card would be credited not to worry. Several weeks and numerous phone calls later they have still not removed the charge. The fact this hotel charged me twice for my stay and keeps promising to fix and not resolving it has me beyond frustrated. Beware this place is very dishonest.... and gross too.

The check in went well. The room looked fine. In the middle of the night a front desk worker tried to get into my room. Ruined my sleep. I had to ask the next day what was going on. They said they were trying to get into the wrong room. I was pretty angry they didn't elaborate or try to rectify what they did. The shower was not clean. Long hairs on the side of it. No shampoo. The breakfast was good and had some good choices.

Disgusting. Unchanged sheets from day before. After no response after an hour, had to change them ourselves. Worried about covid cleaning standards. No management took responsibility. Worst hotel experience ever!!

Stayed at this location 26-31 May 2021. We had a very nice room and the cleaning staff were great. The electronic key system was screwed up during our entire stay as we had to have our keys recoded at least every day, sometimes more often. The lobby was undergoing repairs or something and was a mess the entire time. Billing was/is the worst I have ever seen. Made countless phone calls to the hotel and Best Western Customer Service over a billing issue which has never been resolved.

Problem with management was apparent yo many of the guests. There were not enough employees available to support the guests. I personally overheard a phone call between the employees of her present and the manager/owner of the facility and I felt truly bad for the employees. They really seem to be doing their best with limited resources. Upon departure I told the manager/owner that he needed to be there to support his staff.

We would never stay at this hotel again! The first room we were given was dirty and the second room we were given had a bad odor. We weren't sure if the smell was coming from the AC unit or the room itself. The neighborhood was sketchy and we did not feel safe in the parking lot at night. The breakfast was okay. The breakfast attendant was sitting down and eating himself instead of wiping off the dirty tables and attending to guests needs. We had to step around and over workers when we were checking out as the lobby area was undergoing remodeling.

Best hotel on our roadtrip. Shower was great with no issues on pressure. The beds were comfy. The pool was clean but I will say the coldest darn water ever so brr. The staff was so friendly. The area was a tiny bit sketchy feeling but nothing unsafe just people lingering about

A block of 4 rooms were booked directly through the hotel for my wife's softball tournament about a month in advance. Upon check-in the staff informed us the reservation was canceled at approximately 4pm and no rooms were available. The reservation was not canceled by our group and he could not give us any explanation of cancellation other than that is what he sees on his computer. We then watched a family of 5 enter with 3 children and he said the same thing to them. This family drove 12 hours and had no place to stay. We were in the same spot and 5 hours from home. We were sitting in the lobby and watched as 2 other guests were able to check in after informing us there were no rooms available. No rooms were available in Sioux Falls so we had to drive an hour to Brookings, SD for the closest hotel. The absolute worst customer service and would not recommend this hotel nor will we be giving them any business in the future.

We are on a trip from California to South Dakota and needed a place to stay one night close to Fall Park. From the description in the app, this sounded like a great place, with a good cost for one night. What I didn't know was that it was in a busy part of town and located in between a discount store and SDSU Extension Center. A little noisy and very crowded. So if you are looking for tranquility after being on the road - this is not the place for you. That being said, the rooms are clean and is provided with everything that you need - shampoos, conditioners, etc. The beds were quite comfortable and we slept well. The staff is super nice and the check in was easy and quick. If you are able to choose, though, don't stay on the first floor because you can hear the people on the floor above use the shower and run their water. Also, the next morning they provided breakfast which was simple - eggs, sausage, continental, etc. and make your own waffles but enough to fill the belly.

We chose this place because of the price, and then the location. The guy at the check-in was friendly, though it would probably be nice to have more than 1 person working (it was a problem at check-out the next morning). We didn't know this was a dog friendly hotel, and our room was right next door to one that barked. Would have been nice to stay in a pet-free area, or given an option. Our room smelled like old man cologne (or deodorizer?). But the bed. Ugh. The bed was HORRIBLE. I would have slept on the floor if I wasn't so worried about covid and uncleaned carpets. I'd rather pay more money and get a good nights sleep elsewhere. Also, the sink is located outside of the bathroom. Very awkward, especially with midnight trips to the bathroom/washing hands/getting water. Walmart is down the street if you forget something at least.

We stayed two nights at this location. The hotel was central to everything we needed to do and had eating places in the vicinity. The breakfast food and beverage selection was good and the food was tasty.

Masks not mandatory for staff or guests, and most staff were not wearing them, including all of the cleaning staff (who also can't read the 'no housekeeping' signs). Breakfast served buffet-style with buckets of loose cutlery, so all guests are breathing in them during a pandemic. Sheets not totally clean. Tables in room not thoroughly cleaned. Decently comfortable sleep. H

Reserved room for 2 nights. On second was told they were over booked and was told i had to check out Was told my room rate would be half price, but never offered to help find a room somewhere else. Beds were hard and saggy, and dirty towels hanging behind bathroom door. I'm not a Super 8 person, but the one next door had a nicer room and the bed was very comfortable.

Driving from Montana to Pennsylvania. Stopped in Sioux Falls for the night. Some very nice young man gave us a really nice room as a veteran discount. Bed very comfortable. Shower great. Clean. Quiet. If I had one complaint it would be the breakfast provided. Not great. Hate to complain but not very good. Also, I asked the young lady at the desk in the morning to book our room for the next city. She said she couldn't. I bet the nice young man that helped us the night before would have done that for us. I don't know. But Best Western lost that night from us because we stayed elsewhere.

Staff was very helpful and noted any concerns I had. Breakfast area was clean and set up for dining with appropriately spaced seating. Although some normal breakfast items were not available, C-19 restrictions, selection was good.

We stayed here in 2017 for several nights and it was great. Not so this time. The front desk clerk was unable to enter the credit for a B/W $25 travel card. He said to bring it down in the morning when I checked out and they would enter it then. Guess what...the morning clerk did not know how to do this either! What a joke! Maybe they just don't want to mess with honoring their corporate programs. This lack of staff training reflects on poor hotel management. I checked out and used it several days later at another B/W. Room 210" The king mattress was lumpy and not level. It had to be many years old. As you can see I have nothing good to say about this hotel on this visit.

We pulled into a savers parking lot that is right next to hotel. Lots of homeless walking around the area. Room reeks of smoke even though smoke free hotel. They offered cookies at the front desk the person who checked us in was super nice. Pillows and bed are comfy.

Stayed 9/24-- There are alot of options to choose from within a few blocks of this hotel, but this one is a hidden gem! I stayed here as one of my stops on my cross country trip home with my two dogs. The receptionist at the hotel was very nice and welcoming which was greatly appreciated on my end after a long day on the road. Upon walking in I immediately noticed how clean the lobby entrance was. The hotel is located in a busy area and it is set a bit back off the street which helped completely minimize the noise from the traffic. My two pups and I were in room 204 which was a Pet Friendly room. I have seen my fair share of pet friendly rooms and this one completely blew me away. It was beyond clean, the room smelt fresh, not like "dog", which is a hard smell to get rid of in pet friendly locations. The bathroom was so clean I questioned if it was brand new. The bedding and pillows were soft and comfortable. I can not say one bad thing about my experience at this location. The management clearly took the time to hire a great team of people and it shows in every aspect. If you are traveling and find yourself questioning where to stay in this area, stay here. You will not be disappointed!! PS- A special thank you to the cleaning staff who I am sure works extremely hard to keep a property looking this good. Its the first worry on my mind anytime I check into a hotel and after a long trip it was so nice to relax in that department. I will now make it a point to check out other Best Western Hotels on my travels in hope to have the same experience at another property.

We really enjoyed our room at this location but I think this was one hotel that really didn't take social distancing very seriously. We did our best to social distance while there though. The pool was crowded so we would not let our grandson swim. He was disappointed. Breakfast area is small and people were packing in it the next morning. Some people left and got breakfast at a nearby McDonald's. Might consider if in the area again.

Great location, quick checkin and check out. Comfy beds and lots of restuarant close by. Employees were very helpful and quick to respond. Breakfast bar had essential to get thru the morning. Would stay again!

This was a nice stay. If I was in the area again, I would consider staying here again. There was nothing extraordinary about it, but it was a nice place to stay. I don't think there were many other people staying there at the time, but it was really quiet, which was really nice.

Room was ok. Nice TV, fridge & microwave. There was enough room for the 3 of us. Cleanliness was ok, not sure if it was vacuumed because we found pieces of broken plastic on the floor. My two issues were the manager and COVID safety. We did not feel we were billed correctly and tried to discuss and reason with the manager. He was rude and refused to discuss with us. In our observations there are no COVID restrictions in place. Staff does not wear masks. No social distancing procedures. The breakfast area was very, very crowded. We do not plan to return to this hotel.

The area seemed nice online. But once we got there. There were several drug addicts and beggars who we saw near the highway holding signs in the parking lot when we pulled up. We drove around the area and noticed much more strange behavior and sketchy people. We called and cancelled as we didn't feel safe. We drove an hour to Mitchell and were very happy

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and decided to stay here. We went to see if they had any rooms available for the night and were told yes. As we are getting set up for a room the gentleman at the front desks asks to see a credit card which I hand him along with my ID. He asks what credit card we will be paying with and we told him a debit card he process to say ok swipe go ahead and swipe it. The screen outside the window says payment approved but he says that the computer didn't accept our payment at which time I get my phone out to check our account to see if it did go. He then asks again what credit card we are using and again we tell him that it'd a debit card not a credit card. At this point he proceeds to tell us that they do not accept debit cards because the bank holds the money for too long and then points to a sign on the wall to our left that is about 4 inches tall and maybe 8 inches wide with very small print that says they don't accept debit cards. We went out to check with our bank about the pending charge and they said to check with the manager to make sure that it didn't go though. We went back in and asked the gentleman at the front if we could speak the the manager. When the manager arrives the gentle at the front desk explains everything to him and I ask again just to make sure we aren't going to be charged $167 for a room we didn't get. He very rudely said "That's what he told you. Thanks for walking me up for nothing." and walked away. This was at 1:30 on Friday afternoon. We have never been treated so rudely by staff let alone a manager of a hotel and we will never go back. Also to have a no debit card policy and not even have a sign readable is completely uncalled for.

My check in I thought would be quick since I did this from my mobile prior but it was not. Staff very rude. Charged double on my credit card. Room smelled like smoke and I had to get my own towels.I had no room service.

Room was fine at first, but in the morning (we only stayed one night) the shower from the unit above us was leaking into our shower, while showering. We first noticed the water when I entered the bathroom and almost fell due to the wet floor. When I checked out I reported the problem to the front desk. I was told that we were not supposed to be in that room, and it appeared that had not checked in, even though I had a receipt for the room charge. It took several minutes for Dez at the front desk to find the hotel paperwork. I was concerned as it seemed the front desk clerk was also concerned that we were in a room that was closed. The front desk clerk when we checked in seemed to also have some difficulty in getting us checked in. All and all it was not a good experience and left me feeling uneasy.

I will never be staying at this hotel again. We encountered drug addicts in the parking lot along with what appeared to be drug dealers using the parking lot as a meeting place. Honestly I was there with my 14-year-old daughter for a softball tournament and I didn't feel safe.

The hotel is pretty old and has a stale cigarette smoke smell throughout. It's not overpowering, but noticeable. However, the room was clean, bed was comfy and the pool was nice. There are many restaurants very close to the property, which is convenient. Breakfast was the standard "grab and go" that we've all grown to loathe so hopefully hot breakfasts will come back soon.

The room was wonderful and clean very spacious. Checked in on friday June 5th. The worker was less than thrilled to check me in. The next day I was nosing around for breakfast and he saw me and ignored me. He finally came and said they were only doing bags of granola bars and bananas. Certainly disappointing. I stayed at five other places on my trip this was the only one that did! Otherwise great place, pool not open yet.

We were very disappointed in our stay here. The room was clean, if a bit dated (I thought so, my partner did not). I think the biggest issue we had was that the entire hotel smelled like cigarette smoke. We considered demanding our money back and looking for a new place to stay but we were tired and didn't want the hassle. There was a clanging noise that would randomly and repeated bang for 10 minutes at a time. I'm guessing it was plumbing in the walls rattling whenever anyone took a shower or ran their sink. The woman who checked us in wasn't particularly pleasant. She asked for my name...handed me a form to fill out and then slid the keys to me. She didn't bother to tell me what room I was in or how to get there...or even where the elevator was. I had to ask her for that information. I don't think she smiled once. When I went to check out on Sunday, no one was at the desk - but the TV in the empty lobby was blaring a Catholic Mass. I've stayed in other similarly priced hotels in the area and they provided a much nicer experience. There's nothing terribly wrong with this hotel, I just think there are better options for the price. We won't be going back.

This is a very nice very clean Best Western. Used my points and was very pleased. Have stayed at ones that were not as nice for way more points. Everyone was very helpful and tried to make your stay as nive and comfotable as they could. Enjoyed the stay!!

Traveling cross country for work during a pandemic with a pet was daunting. Finding a clean, pet friendly hotel open was awesome. Everyone was nice, beds were comfortable and there was free wifi. Thanks Best Western

We were returning home from Texas to Winnipeg. We have stayed here a number of times before on trips. The hotel is close to the freeway and under normal circumstance close to restaurants and shopping. The hotel was offering a grab and go breakfast that was adequate given the COVID situation. The front desk clerk did not know much about what restaurants were available for take out or drive thru. This would have been a big help in these COVID times. The rooms were clean and adequate. The internet was good. This hotel does not accept gift cards. We had a reasonable night and were on our way to Canada in the morning.

We always stay at Best Western Empire suites whenever we stay overnight in Sioux Falls. They never disappoint us. Our room is always clean and the staff are always friendly.The breakfast is always great.

We checked in quickly online before arriving and were greeted by very helpful & friendly staff. Everything was clean and the bed was so comfortable. The pool looked like a lot of fun, and the breakfast started early and went late, with one of the largest variety of food I've seen. They even had a lending library of children's books. We will definitely stay there again in the future!

It's a great place to stay with family! It is very close to the Empire Mall, aa well as a few restaurants. I also appreciate hotels that offer a free breakfast in the morning. I traveled with my three kids and they enjoyed it as well.

Excellent staff & hotel. Traveled here for a gymnastics meet recently and back in July 2019 stayed here for state fastpitch.We'll be back again soon. January 16th we made it before a winter storm came in. Let's just say the staff surprised me when I noticed they cleared a path to my car. Amanda & Carolina always greeted me with a smile, as did the rest of staff. Clean king bed room spacious & comfy, breakfast had options to choose from. Kids had fun in the pool and had a good temperature to jump right in. Love that they give a little something extra to our furry family member & treat them no different.

Arrived late and departed early but this room met our needs. Location is good if you on on the south central side of town. 2 queen beds which were very comfortable. Quiet on this winter night. A little difficult to find late at night but signage helped. Breakfast was average but it was good to have real ham. Overall a good experience for the money.

The check in was very smooth and the clerk was friendly and very polite. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Very good selection of items to choose from. The internet worked jus fine.

Stayed on a quiet Monday night...except for having a room under the stairs and having to hear people coming in that side door and going upstairs. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was good with good water pressure. We travel with a white noise machine but I think without it and on a weekend the stair situation would have been a problem.

Low price medium quality. Water pressure of the washroom was exceptional everything else is alright nothing to out of the ordernary if you need a place to sleep that affordable do in that city is you probably can find great deals.

Due to inclement weather we needed a last minute place to stay. Our room with a kitchenette was roomy and quiet for a restful night and helped make up for not being able to get home. There was a wide variety of breakfast choices.

Being that I am 65, I was not given a senior discount due to the fact I did not have AARP. My driver's license, as my ID should have been enough. I do not feel I should be forced to purchase a subscription to something that votes for something I do not believe in.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a pleasant and efficient check in desk. We were automatically upgraded at no extra charge and were given a gift bag and bonus points for being an Elite BW member. The check in was well organized, as was the check out. Our room was clean and nicely decorated with a comfortable bed which afforded us a good night's sleep. Breakfast was complete with all choices needed and also included a good choice of fruit options.

Stayed November 24th to see the falls lit up. Did the check in online so quick and easy when we arrived. Wonderful lady at check in told us we'd been upgraded to a tower room, she also signed us up for the new Best Western promotion. Great service. Got to the tower room on the third floor, nice room. Loved the alcove with a table and four chairs and the three windows. Extremely clean and quiet. Breakfast was good and the coffee was wonderful. This was our second time staying at the Empire Towers, we will be back.

The room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds. Well cleaned and kept up bathroom area. Clean hallways. Nice entrance appearance. Easy access and good parking space. Friendly staff. Good breakfast selection.

I was in town for a funeral and needed a place to stay. The majority of folks attending the funeral stayed here. Check in was quick. The room was clean and very quiet. Just what I needed. The bed was comfortable and the amount of channels to watch was awesome. I was happy to see the express check out form under my door, however, I still stopped at the front desk to let them know I was checking out before I went to my car.

The Empire Towers has always given more than expected in customer service and value. The staff remembered us from our last stay over a year ago. Carolina even remembered the name of our dog. Hassle free and I strongly recommend them.

Friendly staff conveniently located for what we were doing, but close to some sketchy areas, but we only "knew" about them, they didn't affect us in any way. Wished the table in our room wasn't pushed back into a dull corner. Didn't appreciate staff smoking outside our open window.

We checked in very late. Our son had passed earlier. Front desk made sure to provide the best price. Room was clean and updated. Manager provided us flowers and a sympathy card because of our son's death. Very much appreciated. Would stay here again.

Patrick got me the best rate possible and signed me up for Best Western rewards, which saved me lots on the next nights. Bed was super comfortable. The hotel welcomed my dogs and gave them nice gifts.

I travel to the SF area for work and usually stay at a different Best Western but decided to give this location a try. It is a very nice smaller hotel located with in easy walking distance a number of chain restaurants and the shopping mall. There are lots of other hotels in the area and as I was walking around the area I felt very safe.

This motel is just off the I-29 and 41st Street. Makes for a good place to do some shopping and good restaurants are in the vicinity. The beds in the BW are very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The motel attendants are all very pleasant and we often stay here when in Sioux Falls. You will enjoy your time here.

This is a great best western to stay at. we stayed here last winter for a night and found it very warm and accomadating so we decided to go there for our fall trip for 3 nights and one night on our way home. the staff are very friendly and try to help one as much as they can no matter what, (ie internet was not working so I went to the lobby and told them and the lady immediately started working on it and got it working again) the breakfast was very nice and always filled up. there waffle maker was not working ( sticking0 and when we got there the second time, a new waffle maker was there and it worked perfectly. the room was very nice and spacious and very clean. the only negative that we found was that they do not have a hot tub. they have a nice pool but older people like a hot tub very much. we are looking forward to staying a night again soon

we travel between Calgary and Windsor Ontario to and fro twice a year and always stay overnight at the Best western empire towers because it's very comfortable and close to the mall for shopping and restaurants/pubs as well easy off and on the interstate.

In fact we are booking this place for our return trip home. I would recommend this place to any of my friends.

This room was free with out Best Western Rewards. No cheap crappy room or attitude so that was quite refreshing. What a nice room it was. We requested an upper floor quiet room and this is exactly what we received. It was a huge room with two queen size beds so we were away from the air conditioner. The fridge had a nice freezer. There was a table and chairs for eating too. It was a wonderful stop and no pets are allowed in the hotel either. We would return in a heartbeat. This is one of the better Best Westerns for sure.

Do not stay here! When we checked in I was not happy with the neighborhood, alot of homeless people, people out wandering around hotel, lobby did not look clean. Went up to room and checked bedding to find a huge brownish/yellow stain on the mattress pad and the same stain and size on the mattress!! Immediately went downstairs to complain and found others who had checked in infront of us were downstairs complaining about their rooms. The receptionist tried to send us to another room and I walked in to smell the strong scent of mildew (I have asthma) and to see they were patching holes in the wall. Went back upfront and told her we were not staying there. She said she wasn't "able" to give us a refund. Went out to car and hubby called corporate. Corporate said they would get back with us a few days later. We went to a much better hotel. Corporate did call back the next day and had talked to manager and refunded our card. As we were leaving the lobby the final time, the clerk was trying to give the other family our old room. I told them what we found, and clerk tried to give them mildew room. I hope they left.

Although a little difficult to get to the effort was well worth it because the hotel sits well back from the street and therefore is very quiet. We were greeted with a smile and was able to check-in early allowing us time to visit the local sights. We had not gone to the room at that time. Upon returning and entering the room, the smell of cigarette smoke knocked us over. The clerk readily moved us to another room. The 2nd room was clean and quiet. The beds were good. Lighting was adequate but not bright. Breakfast area is small but had all the usual items. No automatic entry so handicap may have difficulty entering the hotel.

Beautiful new hotel near interstate, mall and restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast included quality bread and pastries. Has a Best Western Plus atmosphere at a lower price. Definitely will stay here again when in Sioux FLls

Check in was quick and easy. Since we are Platinum members, we were upgraded to a suite (room 201; $150). The suite was clean, with comfortable beds, and spacious with plenty of electrical outlets especially on the nightstand, a microwave and fridge. The water pressure in the shower was good, the A/C quiet. The hotel has an elevator, is close to the interstate and easy to get to. It sits back from the road so is quiet, not much traffic noise. Our suite faced the side of the property. Parking is free and plentiful. All the rooms have an interior entry. Several restaurants nearby, within walking distance. The only negative thing I have to say about the room is we could hear the toilet flush in the room next to us. It sounded like it was right next to the bed. We didn't eat the hotel breakfast but the choices were scrambled eggs, sausage and gravy. Check out was quick and easy. I would definitely stay here again if ever in the area again.

Quick summary: clean, comfortable room with many amenities. Friendly, helpful staff. Near I- 90. My review is based of what I expect in this price/class hotel. We were passing through Sioux Falls and stayed one night. Room 102 has 2 queen beds, 4 nice pillows on each bed, fresh linens. Desk and chair; three drawers in a chest. Many of the amenities we have come to expect at Best Westerns: coffee maker, iron\\board, good flat screen tv and channels, wifi works well. This BW also had a fridge and microwave, nice clean indoor pool of a good size. Bathroom had a bathtub (thank you!) and shower combo that worked well. (At the end of a long day, I love a tub.). Shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion toiletries. Reasonably spacious vanity to spread out with your stuff. The room felt fresh and clean. Mt husband claims it could use a refresh, but I thought it was fine. Things looked nice and worked well. Excellent housekeeping -- fresh and clean. Breakfast was a nice buffet of things we enjoy that were well-prepared: eggs, sausage, yogurt, a variety of breads, bagels, and pastries. Juices and pieces of fresh fruit. I appreciate the latter for grab-and go, especially. Good coffee, including a dark variety. I love their biscuits on their own (I prefer with butter, not gravy.) Friendly, professional service throughout. I think there is shuttle service (to an airport (?) In a perfect world, there would be a room safe, but there is so much to like about this place that we'd be happy to stay again if in the area. This is a good example of why we are fans of BW -- very comfortable stay and well-run.

Everything is very clean, breakfast is really good with lots of items to choose from. Personel is very efficient, stayed here many times and everything is always great. It is located in a very good location that is close to shopping and a lot of restaurants.

We had a great 4 night stay! Everything was clean and well kept. WiFi was strong and consistent. Breakfast was well stocked and had a variety of offerings. Rooms, breakfast area, and pool area were very clean.

Nice Motel, but it was a little out of the way, but only because we chose a different route than we originally planned. The room exceeded our expectations and was very roomy with a partial kitchenette. Breakfast was good for my taste. I have stayed here before and I would stay again.

We had never stayed in this hotel before because we didn't know about it. But on this trip we saw it in a web search and liked the price, so we took a chance and were amazed at the staff, the comfort of the room and the convenience of he location to the Interstate Highway we were traveling. The staff at check in was extremely helpful and courteous. And checkout was the same. The room was clean and very comfortable--one of the best night's sleep I've had in a hotel. Excellent facility even though it is a bit unassuming in appearance and set back off the street (41st St.).

We traveled to Sioux Falls this year to take our Grandkids back home, we booked a room here were there, the kids loved using the pool! Enclosed indoor so temp controlled year round, good size pool too! The room was very comfortable, king bed, desk/chair and recliner, which my husband loved! The bed was comfy and the bathroom set up was what I preferred the toilet/shower separate from the sink/mirror/etc. Good wifi and desk worked well for my laptop. We had a ground level floor. The breakfast was very good everyday, even had omelets, Belgium waffles of course made fresh everyday, plenty of fresh fruit, biscuit gravy, very good, fresh coffee made all the time all day! Very friendly staff, fast and easy check in and out! Would stay again.

BW Empire Towers is in a good location very close to a number of restaurant and shopping options. The room we had was clean, comfortable and quiet even though we were right next to the elevator. Breakfast options were consistent with other BW facilities and the food was tasty. The setting for the breakfast is very pleasant. Overall, this is a nice facility..

This hotel was hard to find even with a Garmin GPS. It's tucked away on a little street behind a row of restaurants and shops on the main thoroughfare. The road into the property is full of ruts and potholes, not a good impression on arrival. We stayed one night in July 2019 and though it was a good place for one night we were a little concerned about the clientele. The area around this hotel was a little sketchy, or at least it felt that way to us,When we arrived there were bikers out front and in the parking lot which didn't give us a sense of security. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but they have a nice sufficient breakfast in the morning. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Staff on check in were friendly and so were the cleaning staff. This hotel is situated in a group of hotels in what seems like an older part of the city. The desk clerk recommended the Fryin' Pan Restaurant for dinner after our arrival located on the same lot as the hotel. It was good but not excellent.

I arrived to Sioux Falls late, and even though I had called ahead early in the evening, I arrived, received my keys, and found the room occupied. It was the last room. So I arrived at this hotel very late. The front desk staff member, Patrick, was very helpful and understanding. The room was very comfortable and nicely furnished. We will add this hotel to our list of places to stay in Sioux Falls. Travel safe...

Nice big room and cozy bed. Our dogs had ample space in the room with us and the kitchen area was an added bonus we really enjoyed. We were just passing through on our trip cross country but would stay again if in the area.

We had a beautiful room with clean organized environment. The room was large and accommodating. Took some time to cool the room. Would have been better if the air was on before arrival. Breakfast was perfect and staff was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here while en route to Illinois. The bed and pillows were fantastic. We had a great night sleep. The breakfast was good too. The staff were courteous and friendly. Easy check in and out. Highly recommended.

We stay at Best Western all the time and always find the rooms to be clean, free of bed bugs, with great service. The breakfast is very good. We travel all over the US and always find our stay at Best Western very affordable.

Traveling thru Sioux Falls & needed a one night stay, checked some reviews & found this hotel. We needed a place that allowed pets as we have a cat with us. First place we called asked for a non refundable deposit of $75.00! We called this BW and not only do they say they are pet-friendly they proved it! The pet fee was $20 per night, and, on check-in, Patrick (super nice desk clerk) offered a toy mouse & a water bowl for our pet. If that wasn't impressive enough he told us to bring the cat down & have his picture taken for their pet display board! The room is nice, bed comfortable and so far very quiet. Two thumbs way up!

We had come in very tired because of floods and construction on the highway. The GM and Breakfast Person went out of their way to make us comfortable and full of delicious food. What a wonderful stay!

The front desk staff was very informative and nice at check in. The room was in good shape for the most part. The shower did not drain well and you ended up in a pool of water after about 10 seconds. Our TV sound was not great, you had to turn it up to 100 to hear it. Another person in our group had a TV that didn't work at all. The bed was comfortable, but the fitted sheet kept coming off both nights no matter what we did. The breakfast was your normal breakfast fare, but the staff was doing an excellent job keeping things stocked and helping everything go smoothly. They had a computer and printer in the lobby which came in quite handy. The pool was good size and the kids enjoyed it very much. A few small fixes and this review could be 5 out of 5.

We stayed at the Empire Towers on Shirley in Sioux Falls. We had our pet with us. We needed a non-smoking room. We were given aroom on the bottom floor in the back. The room was fresh and clean smelling. We are both over 70 and cannot walk stairs or long distances easily. This room made it easy for us to take our fur baby out. Breakfast was fresh and had a variety up untill shut off time. Thank you for a very pleasant stay

If you avoid the potholes on the only road into this hotel then you are in for a treat. The room was quiet and bed was great and we got an excellent nights rest. This is an excellent hotel across the road from the Empire Mall. Staff guided us to an excellent restaurant in walking distance of the hotel that gave guest of the hotel 20% discount on there bill. When in the area we will stay here again!

We were very pleased with our stay at this Best Western. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The room was immaculate, comfortable and nicely decorated. The price was reasonable and included breakfast. Easy off and on Interstate.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is difficult to find as it is behind a few businesses but it is super quiet location. Also my wife and like to walk and shopping, restaurants, walking paths along the Big Sioux River, movie theaters, etc are all within a 10 to 15 min walk from the hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and the brkfst varies and was quite good including hot foods, fruit, yogurt and etc. Our one complaint, which we brought up with reception, was on the last morning a man brought in his ill mannered dog into the brkfst area. He ties the dog to a chair and the dog pulled the chair into other chairs, sniffed into the top of the tables and etc. The dog was not identified as a service dog. Don't believe this would meet Dept of Health within an area where food is served. I would recommend signing for no pets.

Great place to stay in Sioux Falls. Easy to get to off I-29. So many great restaurants near by. Beautiful and well maintained hotel. Dee was wonderful at check in. She gave us all the information we needed to enjoy our stay and offered us cookies and coffee. Hotel was very quiet and we slept excellent. We have stayed here in the past and will again.

Room was clean, but door to room had to be pushed hard to open, furniture is just so so. Breakfast was sub par, with very little seating and crowded. Place needs an upgrade. Check in was painfully slow,,,mostly due to an overly chatty couple checking in, but when people are in line to check in, staff needs to find a way to disengage so they can tend to guests that are waiting. No apology offered after we waited in line a while. Guests in line were commenting about it, so it wasn't just me feeling this way. There are better offerings in this city.

The room had a terrible musty smell, found a spot of blood on the wall and could hear dogs barking in another room. My kids were first off disgusted by the blood on the wall and secondly could sleep cause if the dogs. Will NEVER stay here again. We picked this motel as we have stayed at the Best Western Ramkota in the past and loved it but this one was a huge mistake!

Have stayed here before. Hotel is located close to the freeway, gas stations, and restaurants. The hotel was clean and the room neat and tidy. The breakfast was quite good. An adequate food selection to quickly get us on the road in the morning. The food was hot. The staff were friendly and efficient. We will stay here again and would recommend to others.

The breakfast was good with a very good variety of warm and cold breakfast food. The pool area was nice but did not have a hot tub. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The mall was just across the street and a variety of restaurants and other shopping was close by. It was easy to locate from the interstate exit.

Good location friendly hotel staff. Very helpful. The rooms we're very clean, The beds were very comfortable, plenty of towels and wash rags. The breakfast was fantastic. They have just about everything you could want - waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, rolls, fruits, toast and they have juice, milk, coffee. And the lady in charge is breakfast is fantastic!!

Greeted by friendly staff and checked in quickly, the only downside was the hallways were very warm as was our room but we opened the window and it cooled off. Beds were comfortable and WiFi worked great. Great breakfast .. thanks for a good nights sleep!

This is a clean motel. The access to this motel was easy access from the interstate. It is very close to grocery shopping and leisurely shopping. The breakfast was hot, and was well-stocked. The kids had a great time in the pool.

Checked in on March 6th 2019. Went to crawl into the bed and then saw the bed bugs!!! First time this has ever happened to me before!! So disgusting. Such an inconvenience to say the least! Will never stay there again

Everything from checking in to checkout was a pleasant experience. The staff we meet were all more than accommodating, the room was nicely decorated, spacious and clean. The breakfast was great with a wide variety to choose from. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed here over a year ago and were so pleased, we stayed again. Check in was quick and easy. The desk clerk was welcoming and friendly. I cannot say enough about the cleanliness of this establishment. Stay here. You will not regret it.

The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. It is literally across the street from the Empire mall and there are PLENTY of nearby options for meals. Breakfast was good with a nice variety of choices.

My second time staying, and I still plan on using this hotel again. I usually just look for value stays while in Sioux Falls, and this one has been by far the best one for the cheaper rates (depending on your day choice of course). Usually when I looking for a "value" hotel in the town, it really is a mixed bag of service and cleanliness in my experience. But this one I really feel comfortable in and it is convenient. The staff is courteous and really make me feel welcome. Breakfast has many options and is well monitored. It feels fresh, updated, and clean (no old smoke smell!). I was planning to use the pool, which unfortunately just happened to be under repairs, but the front desk was very helpful in offering other options to me if I wanted. The location is great if you want to get an early start on the south side. Plus the BW rewards system is easy to work with!

Enjoyed our stay with family. Good food nice comfortable room. Helpful staff. Had problem with toilet overflowing took three calls and two visits to desk to get it fixed was disappointed with that but over all a good stay.

We are on a mini Christmas family road trip making our way through some new country. After sightseeing and driving all day we made it to our destination at 11pm. We were thankful there was availability but that is where the thankfulness ended. We got to our room and noticed a funny smell (like burnt plastic) but were too tired to investigate. We started to get ready for bed and the room was pretty cold so tried to turn the heat on. I should have noticed when it said 70 and felt so cold there was a problem. Again we were too tired to switch rooms so I did call down for a couple extra blankets. They helped but we still all slept in pants, sweatshirts and socks. Also the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The only thing that brought the rating up was the good breakfast and sweet little lady serving in the dining room. She was pleasant and adorable.

We had a wonderful stay at your hotel. The room was clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the employees were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay with you again when we are out your way.

The hotel was clean, well kept, and had a very welcoming environment. The rooms were well kept and beds very comfy. The gps on your phone is a little confusing to find the parking lot but it is tucked nicely out of the traffic but still in a great area for things you'll need.

We had a king-size bed with kitchenette in room. It was nice having a table and chairs besides a desk in the room. Although we stayed only one night, I could see us staying here a week if needed. Feeling safe and having clean rooms are my two major requirements while staying at a hotel. Both were fulfilled here. The price is great too. It is easy to find- there is another Best Western near by so use caution - I do not know what that is like. The breakfast bar is very well stocked. Love the cereal variety. The hostess is the best. She deserves a raise.

We stayed for 4 nights. We received an upgrade to a lovely room w a kitchenette. Comfortable bed and bedding, decent breakfast and very clean. Super friendly staff. Near the mall, other stores and restaurants. Pool. They don't have a fitness room but have an arrangement w a nearby hotel.

Great place to stay. comfortable, clean room with lots of space. Staff VERY nice and helpful. Have a "Pet Wall" in the lobby with pictures of dogs that have stayed there. Cute. Modern bathrooms. We will definitely stay here again.

Stopped here during a vacation stop between Mt Rushmore and Nashville. The inn was above satisfactory and met all our needs. The beds and the internet worked fine. We did not shop at the mall, but the access from the freeway was easy and the check-in/check-out went very smoothly.

We won't stay at this hotel any more. Each time we stay the staff gives us a different rate. The bath tubs are slippery and the bathroom pipes clang when the next room takes a shower. Spoke to the Manager but she stands with the different rates and had the nerve to say "well some of the people who stay in that room don't mind the clanging pipes". Really ????!!!!!

Great place to stay for the night on way to Custer. Rich was so polite and helpful. Close to midnight and he was still going strong and making sure we had everything we needed. There needs to be more guys like him! We appreciate your helpfulness.

What another great place to stay in Sioux Falls, SD. Clean and neat rooms!!! It's location was perfect for going to the Sioux Falls Fairgrounds. The prices were amazing!! The breakfast was awesome also. I would highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed here on our Northern Mid West vacation. The staff was great, hotel was clean, room spotless, comfortable and the bed was very good. It was very quiet and we got a very good nights sleep. The free WiFi, parking and breakfast were a plus. We would definitely stay here again.

From the Front Desk to the Shuttle Driver very professional , polite and helpful. We would not hesitate to return or recommend this Hotel. The the free breakfast is awesome and the entire Hotel was spotless. The location is perfect for shopping and site seeing. Can't go wrong.

Very enjoyable stay, I stay at this location every time I'm in Sioux Falls. The staff is extremely helpful. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The Empire mall is right across the street, great for shopping or killing time.

This hotel is in a good location for south Sioux Falls area with easy highway access. Set back from major street far enough to be quiet. Adequate parking is available with outlets available for cold weather and electric and plug-in hybrids. Breakfast is average and space is limited. No fitness center.

We stayed at the Best Western Empire towers on our way from Illinois to visit family in Rapid City SD. We mainly just needed a place to spend the night. The motel was clean and the breakfast was average. I would stay at this motel again if in the area.

This is a nice place to stay in Sioux Falls. Very comfortable beds and nice breakfast. Very reasonably priced. Pool area isn't the greatest. Small low ceiling that felt cramped and clostrophobic. Clean and comfortable.

The staff went out of their way to help us find a place to stay the next night, near Mt. Rushmore. The room was very clean but the people were outstanding! I would recommed staying here to anyone. They also accomodated lur little Beagle puppy with no problems and no extra charge!

Very clean hotel, pretty standard free breakfast. Breakfast room is okay sized. Nothing extraordinary. Beds need to be replaced, very soft and broken down. Nice size rooms , ours had a dining table with 4 chairs, that could be handy if the breakfast room was crowded or you ordered takeout.

The very comfortable beds resulted in a great night sleep for all. The breakfast was surprisingly good, offering a decent selection of scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits, gravy and waffles. We would stay here again.

Hotel is a block off the main road. Parking is somewhat limited. Front desk staff very courteous. Had an issue with my TV remote and promptly moved me to another room. Room was clean, no issues with the WIFI or tub and sink draining. Air conditioning worked very well. Property has an indoor pool. Hot breakfast in the morning. Recommend putting the hotel on the watch list and as the hotel room prices will fluctuate.

Hotel was clean and employees were nice, but room was way over priced. The room we booked online was not the room we were given at check-in. We were given a more appropriate room, but still not the room we originally booked. When we asked the clerk, there was nothing she could do...?

Our family stayed here one night during our 4000+ mile road trip. We enjoyed our stay to some extent, but it could have been better! Pros - • The room and bathroom were both very clean. • The staff members were all friendly and helpful. • Our kids loved the small welcome gift for being BW rewards members. Cons - • Breakfast was not as good as other BW's we've stayed at and the dining area was somewhat small. • No extra toilet paper was provided, which meant we had to ask the staff for more (not a big deal, just inconvenient) • A dog left unattended in the room next to ours barked for long periods of time. And while not the fault of the hotel, it made our stay less enjoyable. Please note... as pet owners ourselves, we do commend the hotel for allowing pets. It's just some people can be inconsiderate jerks and poor pet owners. • The walls were extremely thin, which meant we heard everything in the hall and the adjacent rooms. • The small road leading to the hotel was riddled with very large pot holes.

The staff at the Empire Towers Best Western were outstanding. We had several difficulties (not related to the property) to which the desk staff responded in every way they could. Ronnie, especially, moved us to a room that met our special needs and gave us the best rates possible. Another person gave us the name of a close, recommended urgent care facility. We had such a good experience that we rebooked for our return trip through Sioux Falls. The breakfast and physical aspects were average. The level of cleanliness was high.

They had a good room, plenty of towels, good bed and good breakfast. It was hard to get to, but it was worth the stay and it was nice. The staff was friendly and recommended different restaurants plus cookies.

We are very happy with every facet of our stay at the BW Empire Towers. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was large and extremely clean, the beds comfortable, and our stay was affordable. The breakfast was even better than usual.

This property is well maintained and clean. Staff is pleasant and professional. I was given an upgrade for my gold elite status without having to ask. The price was quite reasonable especially for the quality.

Hotel was very nice and the price was extremely affordable. Close to the areas that I wanted to visit (Falls Park and Great Plans Zoo). I appreciated the gift I received for being a rewards member. If I were going back to Sioux Falls I would stay there again.

My wife and I decided to stay here on our trip from Oklahoma to Winnipeg and this hotel was a great stopover. We paid a fair price here. All of the staff members went out of their way to make sure we had the best stay possible. Our room was big and spacious and clean. The hotel is easily accessible from I-29 at Exit 77. We've stayed at other hotels in the area before we tried this hotel and none of them even came close to the experience we had here. This will be our only choice in Sioux Falls from now on. We will definitely stay here again

I stayed three nights in the BW Empire Towers hotel. It is a nice looking building, the room was spacious and clean; the "no pets allowed" policy for part of the hotel is supported by signs on the door of rooms on the third floor. The only negative point was the taste of the scrambled and fried eggs (breakfast items). Also, I could not appreciate the large potholes in the road leading to the parking lot of the hotel (although that is outside the hotel property). The front desk staff is friendly and effective. If it would have been possible, I would have rated this hotel 4.5 out of 5.

We have stayed at several Best Western Hotels and have never had anything to say negatively about any of them. The Best Western Hotels are our preference when it comes to having to pick a hotel to stay at.

My family and I booked three rooms for Friday May 4th through Sunday May 6th, as my sister was searching for her wedding dress. Every room had issues. The room my sister, daughter, and I stayed in reaked of men's cologne and cigarette smoke. There were burn marks on the carpet and something brown was splattered underneath the sink all over. We complained about the smell of smoke, especially since I am 34 weeks pregnant and my daughter is 4. They were booked on Friday night so they couldn't switch us rooms but instead sprayed a deodorizer all over the room (which once again just masked the smell momentarily). On Saturday after complaining again because at that point, the cologne and deodorizer wore off (not to mention our pillows all reaked of smoke), they were able to switch us rooms. I will say, the new room was on the second floor and was very clean and didn't smell; it was almost as if we were in a different hotel. In my Mom and Aunt's room the bathroom tub/shower would not drain, the card reader would only work intermittently (had to have keys remade numerous times), and it smelled very musty/was dirty. In my Grandma's room, a light was burnt out and her TV consistently had issues/wouldn't work. Also, on Saturday we went to go swimming (we had no issues swimming Friday evening) and went into the pool area only to find that the pool had completely flooded out into the walking area. We reported it to the front desk and their response was that maintenance must have forgotten to turn something off. For the price we paid to stay here for two nights and for three rooms, the issues we encountered were and are unacceptable. I read reviews on here before booking this hotel and was extremely dissatisfied with what we encountered.

Very pleased with our stay! Great staff, breakfast was good. This was our second time at this hotel and we'll stay again! Close to the mall and many restaurants. Convenient for us while visiting family in South Dakota.

Snowed in allowed us to talk to other guests and BW personnel. I really appreciated that BW thought enough of their employees to tell them to stay home on Saturday. The motel explained this to all the guests. Also, I was amazed that the Frying Pan was open right next to the motel. Good stay for a blizzard.

Staff was fantastic!! Rooms were very nice & clean, and staff went out of their way to make our stay a great one! With 20 in our group - they allowed us to use the breakfast area at night to visit so as not to wake their guests next to our rooms. Location just 2 blocks from the mall & easy to get to. Was a fantastic time even with the blizzard that was happening.

Our room was quiet, comfortable and very clean. The front desk was polite, efficient and very polite. We arrived very late and check in was fast and efficient as was check out the next morning. The staff here are very helpful from the cleaning staff, front desk and breakfast room. What we have learned to expect from Best western. This facility is just off of I-29. we checked in fairly late and the front desk is excellent. The room we booked was quiet, very clean and comfortable. Internet was good, bed very comfortable, and bathroom very good. Breakfast was also excellent as was pre-checkout.We will be back.

We stayed here March 15 - 17 for the state basketball tournament. Check is was quick and easy. The lobby of the hotel was noticeably neat as well. Our room was inviting, and the bed so comfortable. I have never stayed in a hotel this clean. The bathroom was absolutely spotless! The rest of the room was fantastic. The continental breakfast was good -- waffles, cereals, other hot and cold foods -- and the breakfast room was clean. The attendant did a fantastic job! We will stay here again. Great accommodations for an even greater rate!

Older hotel that is well maintained and clean. I was pleasantly surprised with the breakfast. I have special dietary needs, and it was nice they had low fat hot protein options on the buffet. The front desk service was great too.

My daughter and I had to visit Sioux Falls for a dance competition and we chose BW for our stay and were well pleased. The room was very clean, the beds firm, and the hotel staff were always courteous with us. My daughter really enjoyed breakfast each morning, and we always left satisfied. Hotel is located near most everything in town with the large mall across the street. The pool is slightly smaller than others we have visited, but it worked for the kids in our group. We will definitely return again!

A chain hotel with no surprises and is in a great location close to the highway, shopping mall and restaurants. Booked a two-bed room for two nights, but I didn't sleep well. The air conditioner was on and off with a dripping sound and the hallway and upstairs were very noisy. I would try a different hotel next time as there are many choices in the area.

I have stayed here before but this time it was because of a pending blizzard. This time, as in the past, I found the staff very friendly and always helpful. The breakfast is very good with many choices of cereal, bread, juice and waffles. The room was very clean and the internet signal was very good. The hotel is located just off of I-29 and very easy to get to. There is a big mall close by too.

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel. Easy check-in/out process. Nice selections of breakfast items. Pool was warm and pool area was clean. Shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. TV could have been bigger.

Clean--quiet---decently decorated and furnished. Breakfast was just fine. Parking lot well lit. Good value. Many people would find this hotel very conveniently located---close to mall, many fine eating places, movie theatre, etc---I did not like being backed right up to some very cut rate hotels. Our room was a smoke free room but I thought it smelled a bit smoky.

Young lady on Reception was efficient and pleasant. The hotel was attractively decorated and spotless. Car parking easy and free. An elevator. We only had a one night stay after a long drive and had chosen a Kitchenette Suite because of this. The Kitchenette area was excellent and attractive but no crockery, cutlery, glasses. Counter-intuitive. When I asked the young lady might we be able to get a kitchen pack I politely received the answer I expected. I could help myself to disposable items out in the Breakfast Room. Foam cups, plastic cutlery, paper plates. I was then and am now trying to make a point to Hoteliers. If the accommodation has a Kitchenette can a minimum of basic kitchenalia be supplied please or even advised as available if wanted. I get guests can be lazy slobs - we are not - but can some thought be put into this issue. Amusingly, or not, whilst a kitchen sink in the Kitchenette the bathroom sink was also helpfully, or not, placed outside the bathroom. I loathe hotel rooms with a bathroom sans sink - daft - but a first that we had a kitchen sink and a living room sink. As the two sinks were mere feet away from each other it was a good example of an architect or whoever designs hotel room fitouts, not thinking. At all. The Breakfast Room was efficient and offered a good basic breakfast.

This was a great property to stay at. The staff was super caring and the entire property clean and well kept. I will stay here again if I am in the Sioux Falls area. Best Western is always a fantastic place to stay no matter where you are. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

Extremly clean room, nicely updated room/halls/stairs and breakfast area. Bed and linens comfy. We do have a few comments that affect the overall rating from being a 5. The coffee served in breakfast area was terrible. It comes out of an automatic Nescafe machine so we think it's not brewed coffee. Very disatisfying. Also we liked to use the stairwell and accessed the side of building doorway near our car. Door is unlocked all day -sign says it's locked at 11pm daily. We found it unlocked at 11:15 pm Saturday eve as we entered from our evening out. That is a security issue. The biggest issue was with a staff person upon our arrival. I will give name of that staff in the BW site for management. The front desk staff gal was sitting in a chair furthest from desk, near a window when we walked to desk to checkin. We greeted her first. She was not warm, friendly or welcoming. She was absorbed on her device. She did offer & explain details of breakfast times and the usual check in info. We had a voucher for 1 free night stay that I gave to her. She accepted it but said that someone else needed to enter it later so that our account may show both our nights being charged. I didn't think much of it. The morning of our departure our receipt that was emailed showed both nights charged. As we checked out I asked FD about our free night. An extremly happy, friendly, helpful front desk gal (who normally works laundry/housekeeping) said that the free night should have been credited upon arrival by that FD staff. This gal worked diligent to correct our bill even though it consumed a bit of time as she doesn't normally work that job but she was very apolgetic trying to get processing faster.

Terrible customer service, very rude, had to wait a very long time for an extra towel, staff dressed sloppy, waaaay too much chlorine or bleach in the pool-damaged my kids eyes, would not go back or recommend to anyone

Internet didn't work on check-in, but was reset by the front desk. Unfortunately, it failed again the next morning. Overall, good staff and as good a hotel as much more expensive offerings in the area and the location was very convenient.

As we were on a long trip south and this was our first nights stop it was convent to find and the rate was reaonable. There is a charge for pets of $20 which was a bit much, but as I had a $20 coupon from my previous stays it balanced out.

The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Very pleased for the price paid.. We come back to Sioux Falls usually only once a year, but it will now be the motel we will stay at in the future. The staff was very accommodating when I accidentally left my briefcase in the lobby. The breakfast had everything you would need and want for a continental breakfast. When it was time to head home, I was wishing I could stay one more night to rest up after a busy 2 day craft show. Couldn't this time, but will plan for that in the future.

We have stayed at this location multiple times over the past several years. It is always clean and comfortable. Staff is generally pleasant and helpful. Parking can get a little tight when it is really busy. We don't often have the breakfast, but the few times we have it was ok....like most motels, nothing to get excited about. (I recommend the Fry'n Pan a few doors down) The price is reasonable for the location. Good Place overall.

We enjoyed our stay here even though we had a mishap with the rooms. Not sure what happened, but when we went to the room we were supposed to stay in, someone else was already in it. They also handed me a bill that had someone else's name on it. They put is in another room, and in the morning, someone tried to come in our room since they thought it was supposed to be empty. But overall, it was a nice place to stay. The breakfast was good and the beds were comfy.

This is a great option if you need a good night's sleep. We had asked for a quiet room away from the elevator and noises. Our room (#313) was near the elevator but we didn't hear a thing. The room was also nicely furnished and pleasant to be in. The breakfast was the standard awful American unhealthy breakfast with bad coffee. Other than that, all good.

Was traveling to Montana. We stayed at this Best Western on the way there and on the way home. Both times were for one night. We were pleased with our stay. No problems at all. My husband had a toothache and the lady at the front desk was very helpful with providing some Tylenol to ease his pain. We were very thankful we didn't need to run out to a store. Breakfast was fine. Just a couple of things about that was I didn't like how dining area was kind of small and counter space for the layout of the food made it difficult for more than one to get their breakfast. However, wasn't big enough issue to keep me from staying there again.

The bathtub was very slippery and I was nervous about falling while taking a shower. The shower head was so tall, I couldn't adjust it for my height. The bath towels are so small to use. The air conditioner was either too cold or not cool at all. Not enough electric outlets on the desk or the vanity area. Weren't offered the rewards program and when we checked out and I called about receiving the reward points, was told they couldn't help me or give me any points. Won't stay there again. The continental breakfast could last until 10am on weekends but they stop at 9:30am. We like to sleep in a bit on our weekend trips. Temperature of the continental breakfast area was terribly hot.

I Travel a lot for work and this is my go to Hotel to stay every time I am in the Sioux Falls Area. The staff is so helpful, the facility is always so clean, the hotel is in a great location close to restaurants, the mall, and other stores. Easy access to the freeway is also nice. Keep up the great work and thank you for all you have done for me while staying with you!

They were clean, well apportioned and the beds and pillows were great. The breakfast was good and provided a good start to the day. We also stayed on our way home. Recommend.

Very nice stay at a clean and comfortable room in a quiet hotel and the price was right. Plenty of places to eat close by. Listen to your GPS as it's not easy find. I was traveling on the I-80 and this was about 6 miles South of I-80 but just off of I-29 if your traveling North/South. Not that big a deal though.

We do road trips and have found that Best Western are the best...this was no exception. Check in was a breeze, friendly staff and room was amazing. Breakfast was full of cold, hot, healthy, a little carby bad (hey I was on vacation...it was allowed) choices! Would for sure stay here again!

Was travelling with a group for a conference and selected this Best Western. The hotel was very well maintained - both inside and out - and I didn't have any problems during my stay. The check-in process was quick and easy (even with the multiple rooms I had reserved). The staff was very friendly and the room was VERY large and quite comfortable. The breakfast was very good - a nice selection of both hot and cold options. The checkout process was also very quick and easy! Would stay here again when travelling for work or for fun!

This is a friendly, quiet hotel away from traffic noise. Staff was friendly and helpful in coaching us what to see and enjoy while in Sioux Falls. The heating and air conditioning were not individual room units. This provided a much more quiet room.

If going to see the beautiful Falls Park with an over-look tower (has elevator, rest rooms and the nicest info staff), make sure that your route includes Phillips Ave. If your GPS tells you to turn left onto Minnesota Ave., don't. Rather continue one or two more blocks and turn onto Phillips Ave. It will take you through a residential area first, and into Downtown before you reach the park. Along the Downtown area sidewalks are the Annual Sculpture Walk sculptures that remain for your pleasure from the July Festival to April. Drive by or park and enjoy up close. Fabulous plan bringing art into every day. Changed annually!

This property is tucked behind a McDonalds and near a large Savers Thrift Store. Several great restaurants near by. Quiet because it is a bit off from 41st Street. Clean and well kept. Breakfast has a good variety and dining area is clean and neat.

It's nothing fancy but the price was right and the room was clean. Right across from a mall so I always consider that a good location. Very welcoming staff. Perfect for an overnight and if you want to be near shops and restaurants.

We arrived at about 1 a.m. but were met with a friendly smile and a person that was genuinely excited about looking after us as a guest. They were more than helpful to let us know all the amenities, and quickly processed us to get us to our very reasonably priced rooms that were excellent quality. Great beds, plenty of pillows, and a quiet nights sleep. The breakfast buffet had every kind of staple food option in the breakfast category with fresh juices as well. There were multiple staff constantly fussing with making sure all the food was freshly brought out and topped up, and full of smiles and made us feel welcome. This is a must stop choice if you are passing through.

This is a nice hotel, welcoming staff, clean, lots of towels and comfy bed. We have stayed at many BW hotels and had better breakfasts at a few of them. This was adequate, well attended but with less hot choices than some other hotel breakfasts....we have become experts on this drive from Alaska. It was an easy to get to hotel, clean and comfortable. We especially liked the outside faucet and hose set-up to do our windshield fresh to start the day.

We stayed here on a road trip across country, looking for clean places with good reviews and decent prices. This is a great hotel! We were greeted by Frank....I don't know if he's a worker or manager, but he was very welcoming and very helpful. Our room was ready early which was nice. Luggage racks were available to help us get out things up to the room. Our room was very nice....large, clean and comfortable. Frank helped us with directions downtown and other suggestions. Upon returning from our outing, fresh cookies and coffee were available. In the morning, the breakfast was very tasty and nicely presented. I would totally stay here again if I were to make it to Sioux Falls again!

Very convenient to major highway and as clean as a whistle. This is the kind of stopover you look forward to. Breakfast was great and all the amenities were superior. I really like this place. If you are looking for a place like home at a good value this is it.

We stayed in a king room. It was spacious. The vanity was outside the bathroom. This is nice for two people to get ready in the morning. It was a very quiet room. We were tucked away in the back maybe - first floor. The breakfast was standard for hotels that serve the free breakfast. The man at the front desk was friendly and efficient. Close to the mall, if you wish to shop. And, the price for a Sunday night on Labor Day weekend was very good. The beds were decent. And, the air conditioning worked. It definitely would cool to the temperature you set. For the price and a quiet, spacious room we would return.

We generally stay in the Best Western Plus hotels, but there were none in this area so we decided to give the Empire Towers a try. While the hotel is very small it is also very nice. The lobby staff are very friendly and offer to answer questions about the area. Our room had a queen, very comfortable bed, desk, chair, microwave and refrigerator. The carpet was clean and so was the room and bathroom. If we pass this way again, we would certainly consider staying in this hotel one more time.

Best Western Empire Towers advertise internet access however actually their internet service is terrible. Unreliable!!! Would recommend this hotel if you do not have to access internet during your stay but if you do need internet best check into a more reliable hotel with reliable internet access.

The staff was very pleasant and accomadating they even provided a doggie bag for our pet. It had two biscuits and poop bags. interior and exterior was clean. Room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was plentiful.

Right off the highway for easy on/off. Large room with comfy bed and great pillows. Clean, QUIET, quick check in, PET FRIENDLY! We recharged our batteries with a good night sleep. Walking distance to many restaurants. The entrance in is a little tricky, just pay attention to the sign, it sits back off the main road (which means it's more quiet there). Hearty breakfast and we were on our way the next day.

The Best Western is one of my favorites. The Hotel is Clean all the amenities I look for. Orderless, the beds were comfortable pillows were the best. The air conditioning was good to so good we had to turn it OFF. It served its purpose as I expected it to. The breakfast are is a little smaller than most of the hotels I visited but the food was good had a microwave just in case you wanted to warm up something. We had a whole floor to accommodate all of us which was good. We love to shop but we love the THRIFT STORE which was walking distant right across the back lot amazing it had our name on it "CHARGE". Overall when I go back this is where I would stay again. Pool was small but it was ok we had an hour on Saturday nite. Over all a good stay. Staff was helpful and polite.

We checked in around 11 pm, the hotel is very easy to get to. The room was clean and we enjoyed the breakfast in the morning before we go back on the road for our next stretch of the trip. I would come back again the future.

I stayed here on an overnight for a business trip. The hotel is nothing fancy. It is actually kind've hidden off the main roads. The stay met my needs very well. Clean, comfortable rooms and professional staff made the stay uneventful. I didn't use much of the amenities as it was a quick in and out stay for me, but I would definitely use this place again.

For an overnight stay, this was a good choice. Our first time there and it was just what we needed and comfortable, quiet and will perhaps use it again if we need accommodations there. It is close to restaurants and a large mall. I 29 is just 2 blocks away so handy for moving on.

The hotel was certainly acceptable but nothing outstanding. I would have been happier if it had a hot tub after a long day of traveling. A crib was brought to our room very promptly and the rooms were clean.

My family stayed one night on our way back from North Dakota. This hotel was extremely clean, the room was spacious, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast great. We were extremely pleased and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the area. The young ladies who checked us in we extremely polite. The hotel staff accommodated an early arrival with an immediate room opening. They also easily allowed a switch in plans due to a medical situation on a change in return date without any problem. The upgrade to a full kitchenette was terrific. The bed was a little soft

We were only here for one night as we were using this hotel as a waypoint on our trip to Colorado. The hotel is located near the highway and has free parking, indoor swimming pool and a gym. It has a full hot breakfast which is included in the room rate. It has a breakfast place right across the parking lot next to the hotel (forgot the name, sorry) if you want more variety for breakfast or woke up to late for the free breakfast. The rooms are good sized, nice bathroom, comfortable beds and nice rooms. I would use this hotel for a business trip or for a layover but not necessarily for a vacation or extended stay. It is not walking distance to anything other than the one breakfast-dinner place that I can't remember the name, it is a popular chain but more in this neck of the woods (not a Denny's or IHop)..

We were very pleased with this property....very friendly accommodating staff, clean, well kept rooms, great beds, and it is in a really quiet area so you can get a good rest. There are several choices of restaurants near by and a mall right across the street so it is in a great location

The positive was our room was very clean. I was a little bummed that my dogs picture wasn't taken. I saw a wall of dog pics. Bed was very comfortable. Pet area had some trash that needed cleaning. Breakfast was okay and the lady was very nice.

Stayed on July 8th. In town for Hot Harley Nights. I would highly suggest to management that you capitalize on your relationship with Harley Davidson! We did not know that BW had a deal with HD until after we checked in and settled into our room and I was browsing the corporate website. Since the desk didn't notice that we were bikers, we didn't get the things like the two bottles of water upon check in that being a HD-BW rewards member offers. Room was clean. We all remarked that the pillows were very comfortable. Room rate was 135.99 which was okay for the property, probably due to high demand. Would pay less otherwise.

Not professional. Not clean and did not show any concern for customer. Was told room would cool off eventually. Pubic hair on towels, no water pressure, and ran out of breakfast foods. Was an overall awful stay.

We arrived at this hotel after a very LONG day of travel. The front desk check-in staff and process were fast and efficient. We had requested a quiet room because we are light sleepers and this request was honored. Our room was quiet, the bed was very comfortable and we were happy customers!

We got off the interstate looking for a place to stay and also wanted to visit Sioux Falls Park. (We were heading west on vacation.) We saw the Best Western but wanted to see if there was anything closer to the park. After spending over 2 hours at the park, we decided to go back to the Best Western we saw earlier. At first we were unsure on how to get there with the way the road is and the construction. Otherwise the location is great with restaurants, close to the interstate and a mall across the road.

Never arrive in Sioux Falls, SD during last week of June without a reservation - host city for Nat'l Soccer Tournament. No rooms available within 75 miles. A week later. I returned to the Best Western on the third day of a 5 day road trip. I was pleasantly surprised to find room (and upgrade) was available. The room was spacious, clean and well decorated. My stay at Best Western in many states have always been pleasant. I expected no less.

As we traveled over 9,300 km during the month of June on our motor cycle, we relied on Best Western any chance we got. This particular BW. had an added a bonus, being beside a shopping mall. The hotel chain set standards, which are appreciated. Being on a bike, there are always concerned during the night, with the bike and parking. They arranged it so the bike was visible and easy to watch. The room was appointed well, loving the sink and mirror outside the actual bath area. We had a third floor room which was quiet and restful. Breakfast is always a treat, being right there in the hotel, and part of the reservation. The variety is appealing to both adults and little ones. There is a pool, but our day was full without it. We high recommend this hotel if you are in the vicinity.

Stay here a lot and have always been satisfied. Love the pool, cookies, yummy breakfast, pleasant staff, comfy rooms. Never had a bad stay here. Location close to interstate and mall. Easy access. Quiet location.

Found this hotel online about 2 hours out from Sioux Falls, and found it was about $25 - $50 cheaper than other hotels in the area. It was a very comfortable and roomy for my family of 4. We did have some noisy neighbors above us, but there were a lot of families in the hotel that night, so I assume it was kids releasing energy. Overall great stay.

As someone else said, the motel seemed to be at the end of an alley, but once we arrived everything was fine. The only negative is that the WiFi was weak, but that seems to be the case in every motel we have visited. With my slow laptop this slow WiFi seems very very slow. We will stay here again when in the area.

My wife, dog and I are making a cross country move and driving all the way. This hotel was a tremendous find about midway: a real gem. The breakfast was very good and the room lacked for nothing, Check-in and checkout were easy and quick.

Our stay at this hotel was only for one night, but we will return if our travels take us back to Sioux Falls. The staff, particularly the front desk staff were excellent: professional, responsive, efficient, and helpful. We were also impressed with the kitchen staff and the breakfast. And our visit to the pool was relaxing and fun with our grand daughter. The room was comfortable and clean even if a bit dated.

Motel is a little hard to get to but well worth it. Hotel staff were great. The internet was a little spotty but we were on an end room so it might have been at the limit of the router. The bed was a little firm for me but that is a personal preference. Still was able to sleep good . It was very quiet.

We stayed at the Best Western Empire Towers for one evening while in town to attend a family member's wedding. We arrived before the 3PM check-in time, to which the front desk clerk had no trouble with - she assisted us right away and we were in our room no more than 5 minutes after arriving. We had a small dog with us, who was welcome for an additional $20 overnight (an extremely reasonable price!), and the front desk clerk even took a little polaroid photo and put it on a board in the lobby with the other dogs in house, which we loved! Our room was all you can ask for at a 3-star hotel - very clean, well-kept, stocked with amenities, extremely comfortable beds. We don't have a single complaint about the room! The location of the hotel "is what it is" - this was our first time to Sioux Falls, so I would call this area of town the "shopping district". Certainly no nice views nearby, but that's hardly the hotel's fault! If anything, I would credit the hotel for making us feel at home and comfortable in an area that is otherwise a bit more industrial. Thank you to your entire team for a great stay!

The room was extremely clean. Wonderful to have a microwave and fridge. The staff was very friendly and polite. We only stayed one night as we were visiting our niece at the Great. Plains Zoo where she is interning.

Room and Hotel were clean and the staff was friendly. Location is not the best. Area is older with several hotels all close together and sharing streets/parking lots. Hotel is older. Pool was simple and teenagers were not interested in going in. Room was very big, we had a 'tower' room with a dining area.

The room we were in was so noisy all night from the upstairs room shower and toilet. We found it hard to believe that the guests could run water all night. We mentioned to front desk next morning and she just did not understand how it was that noisy. The room was clean, the breakfast was the typical hotel type. The service was ok.

Noise from Nearby room is bothersome when they use the shower. A lot of Potholes going to the hotel. But overall, good. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Close to Barnes and noble and the Mall! And the highway!

The check in staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and offered good internet service. Our main complaint was when we were leaving. The hotel cleaning staff took over the elevators leaving us waiting several cycles before we could get checked out. Unfortunately the breakfast was below average for Best Western.

I stayed at this hotel several times in the past 2 years for a week at a time. The building itself is older but kept very clean and the staff is very friendly and professional. Great breakfast to start the day - LOVE the omelets! Close to the mall and other amenities. Certainly no complaints on this hotel.

This hotel was a quick overnight stay at a "way station" during a long car ride. Our experience really could not have been better. Do not let the kind of odd location throw you off. This is a clean, well-appointed, well-run hotel. The decorating in both the common areas and in our room itself are tastefully done. Such that we could see, everything was spotless. Our room was comfortable, very clean, with a nice bathroom. (The toilet and shower are separate from the sink area. The complimentary breakfast was perfectly fine; nice assortment of items, replenished, and kept clean. Friendly staff with very helpful attitudes. We did not have occasion to utilize the pool or the business center. They looked very plain, but also appeared clean. I can't really imagine a better value for the price we paid. A very solid choice.

I used to travel 2-3 times a week visiting many hotels. This hotel is only average. many hotels offer as much or more in the same price category . Nothing out of ordinary just a safe place to stay. Front desk staff seem to be easily side tracked by other things like doing the laundry or going to another floor for what ever reason. This Hotel is just your basic overnight stay place.

The motel itself was OK. Walking distance to many restaurants. Pleasant staff. Clean rooms. However, this seems to be a fairly sketchy area as when we were walking back from the restaurant, we saw an empty pocket bottle of Windsor in the driveway that wasn't there when we left and many other items that were alarming. Then, once night fell, the yelling and screaming from drunk people in lot along with car alarms was more than I could take. To top it off, breakfast was less than wowing, with cold food and little variety.

This hotel was one of the best ones we have stayed at. The beds were so nice and comfortable. The staff was nice and polite answered all the questions I had. The breakfast was also good, except for not much room to move around when it was full of the other guest. But overall I would stay at this hotel again.

I needed a place to stay because my husband is a patient at the local VA. The hotel gave a discounted rate to help me out. The place was wonderful. Comfortable beds, clean, and again super friendly staff. The breakfast was wonderful and the attendant made everyone smile with her great attitude. She also kept the food coming and it was delicious. This is a pet friendly hotel.

We travel quite often for many things. Would like our experience with every facility were this good. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of choices. Too bad the weather was not as good as the facility.

Room was not serviced during two-night stay by maid. Staff response to address my complaints about room condition consisted of leaving additional towels/glasses, etc. in a pile on the sink. Dirty linin, glasses left in room and bed not made.

This was our first time at this hotel and we will continue to use it when we stop in Sioux Falls. No disappointments, great hot breakfast, warm welcome, and they quickly honored a $10 coupon which I received in my e-mail after I had checked in. Bed was very comfortable, room was quiet and very clean.

Very nice updated, clean rooms, lobby and hotel. I'll be staying at this location again. Front counter staff very nice and helpful. Newspaper and breakfast in the morning is a nice touch. A very good value for the location and price.

Easy access off the I-29 Interstate. Hotel set far enough away from street for quiet rest. Lots of local shopping and dining close by. Plenty of grass walking space if traveling with pets. Helpful staff with local attractions.

We had the BEST stay at the Best Western Empire Towers!! Friendly and nice staff!! They make you feel special!! Nice rooms w/amenities and comfortable beds!! We didn't want to leave!! Breakfast was SO delicious!! Eggs, the best biscuits ever and fresh fruit, cereal options just so many wonderful choices!!

The staff was exceptional. Room was clean . everything worked. Breakfast was set up and ready before the time postef whoch was great for me since i had to leave early. Check out was a receipt under the door loved it.

We have stayed at this location multiple times and have always found the desk people helpful and personable, the rooms tidy and clean, everything works as it should. Not yet have we been disappointed. I do have to say that after trying the breakfast once, we prefer to go out. Not that it is terrible, but it just isn't that great. Probably fine if you are in a hurry to get somewhere and don't want to find a cafe.

Recently spent 3 nights here while attending BB tournament. Staff was great and room was large and clean. Free wifi with strong signal. Very nice breakfast. Close to restaurants, bars, and shopping and easy access to Interstate. Highly recommend.

I am always highly satisfied with this property, the staff is always caring and friendly! Rooms are clean, a shuttle service is available upon request. I have never had a bad experience with a Best Western property!

This hotel is clean, neat and seems to be well managed. Most of the fixtures and furnishings are relatively new. Breakfast was fine, if not particularly memorable. The location is near the intersection of the Interstate (I-29) and a major arterial, but off the street, so finding your way to the driveway can be a little tricky; fortunately, there is a good-sized sign and it is relatively well lit. The only downside in my mind is that the neighborhood is mostly strip malls and other ugly commercial buildings. There is not much in the area other than discount stores, a few chain restaurants and car dealerships. It was fine for a trip passing through as I was doing, but it wouldn't be a destination spot, I don't think. The staff seem very eager to please.

We were on our way home from Montana to Minnesota and needed a place to stay. Found this hotel via their website. It was a little hard to find but was a great hotel. Everything was clean and ready to use. The front desk was very well organized and checked us in quickly. The room was ready, clean and well stocked with items.

We arrived later in the evening and Ronna checked us in. She was very welcoming and answered all of our questions. She was able to check us in using 2 best western gift cards. Its hard to find a place that is able to use 1 let alone 2. Great Job. The room was clean and had updated decor. Bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet.

Ronni, the front desk clerk, was very helpful and accommodating to our needs/wants. She was extremely friendly and understanding. The rooms look like they have been remodeled recently and are very nice. They have a pool that's open until 11:00pm. Plenty of parking. I would highly recommend this hotel!

This place was good enough for an overnight stay. Close to the Empire Mall and several chain restaurants. Seemed to be a favorite for construction workers, however. My beautiful daughter was oogled and catcalled upon our arrival by the guys playing Cornhole in the parking lot. Not a big deal, but unexpected and undesirable. Clean room and ok breakfast.

Hotel is great, the staffing is great and it's really in decent location for about anything you could want to eat, price is fair rooms clean and comfy beds . They also offer a good breakfast, the wifi is good

Best Western Empire Towers in Sioux Falls is reasonably priced, clean, and included a good, hot breakfast in a relaxing environment. Employees were pleasant and helpful -- we asked for an extended check-out time at arrival and they were able to accommodate my unique needs (surgery early in the morning and Dr appointment that afternoon) by allowing us to check out a couple hours after the usual check-out time. This was much appreciated!

Staff was friendly when we checked in late because of storm. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, good atmosphere. Great location right off highway. I tend to favor Best Westerns and this one was a great place to stay.

A decent hotel for the price. Good location, good breakfast. Hotel staff was efficient and friendly. The only problem was load plumbing was we could hear water and pluming noises very early in the morning

It's nice getting off the road and into a comfortable bed and clean sheets that actually smell clean and fresh. That is my lasting impression os the BW Empire Towers. The staff was pleasant and helpful, the WiFi was reliable and had a good signal and the breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold food, including fresh fruit. The heating/air conditioning unit was a bit loud and the mini fridge had a wet shelf and ice build up in the freezer, but the staff member at the front desk said he'd have the maintenance staff look into those issues and have them resolved that day...which I considered another indication of the staff's efficiency. The motel is conveniently located near a highway exit and on one of Sioux Falls' main shopping thoroughfares.

We stayed at Empire Towers on the second night of our travel through South and North Dakota. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and the beds were comfortable with lots of good pillows. The breakfast area was kept clean and well stocked with a good variety of hot and cold selections. The website references an "afternoon cookie", but those were not there the night of our stay. It was a good one-night stop and if in the area again, we will certainly choose this Best Western again.

We've stayed here before. We visited Sioux Falls for our anniversary. The room was nice and clean. One of the beds was not comfortable so we switched to the other and it was fine. I think the beds have been better at some other BW's but we slept well. The staff was extremely friendly. My husband wasn't feeling well on the day we were leaving and Ronna at the front desk offered us late checkout so he could rest longer. The breakfast was good and the lady who was refilling food was very nice. I would stay here again

Nice room, good breakfast, good staff. No problems! An easy, stress-free night during our road trip. The breakfast was appreciated by all of us. Microwave and small fridge were appreciated and used. Good location, with retail nearby.

After traveling 5+ hours cutting across North AND South Dakota--the Empire Towers was a very comfortable and relaxing place for an overnight. Tip: The Motel can be a little tough to drive to as it is set on the backside of the block. You must drive past(coming from the Interstate) Motel turn north than west.

Stayed here for one night as part of our road trip. Good location near Empire Mall (we wanted proximity to Texas Roadhouse) and very good value - the least expensive of all the places we stayed. More than adequate breakfast and friendly staff.

Very convenient off I-29. We could see the hotel but had trouble getting to it. Rooms were very comfortable. After reading the reviews, I requested a room on the top floor and the noise level was just fine. Very friendly lady checking us in. I don't do round scrambled eggs but other than that, the breakfast was decent. I had enough points for a free room so can't beat the price!

We have stayed at this hotel several times while visiting Sioux Falls. We like this hotel because it is clean and allows pets with a reasonable fee. This hotel is a great value compared to the other mid range priced hotels in the area. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. The rooms area large and very clean. Sometimes with a pet you get a room that smells and looks like a pet room, but not at this hotel. The hotel offers the standard hotel breakfast, and is served in a clean well maintained area. The location is convenient and is one block off of the interstate and close to the shopping mall and other shopping. It is not close to downtown. The hotel sits behind another hotel and it is confusing to find the first time.

The hotel was a little hard to find, but once we found it, we were happy we did. It was what I have come to expect from a BW Hotel. Everything was top notch. The room was clean and well decorated. The beds are always the best part as far as I am concerned. The breakfast selection was good and all very tasty.

First time staying here. Comfortable, cozy room. Felt safe and had a great sleep. Breakfast was good. Attendant kept the room clean and keep the items full. Everyone we encountered was friendly and had a smile on their faces. Overall a great stay at this hotel.

The good - the room was clean and bed was comfortable, so that's important. The breakfast was not outstanding, but satisfactory. The bad - NO soundproofing in the room....Very annoying to be awakened at 5:30 AM by the shower running in the next room. Loud enough I thought someone was in MY room. It sounds like the building is a wood frame, because it sounded like the people upstairs were walking on bare wood floors. A motorcycle outside in the parking lot sounded like the window was open. The annoying - NO convenient place to plug in my phone as alarm. the only outlet near the night stand had both plugs used. The desk chair is very low. There is no way anyone could actually work at the desk. It was 2" shorter than the toilet seat! The tv was not set up, so I had to call the front desk and it still took a while to set it up.

Always clean , friendly service , great location for dinning , shopping , everything is within a few blocks or walking distance , safe day or nite , employees are very helpful from the front desk to the house keeping !

Clean and comfortable rooms, very quiet location and we were very happy with the service and value in the room. Would return again. We felt this hotel provides good value for the price and will definitely return.

We stayed here for 1 night - my two parents in the 70's in one room and myself and my 4.5 year old daughter in a second room. I had spoken to the front desk the week before while I was in Sioux Falls after landing from Australia - I stopped to make sure that the hotel had a suitable chair for my mom to sleep in because she has severe back issues that require her to sleep semi-upright in a chair. After speaking to the very lovely man (originally from Boston) and one of the other lovely staff, I viewed a couple of rooms and was assured and comfortable that we would have a chair for my mom when we arrived the following week. However, a week later, we arrived and upon check in, a very very rude young girl was working who said we were lying, had never been told my mother could be guaranteed a chair or the room that we requested etc. She told us we had no reservation and it went on and on. I asked to speak to the manager, and the young girl working said that the manager was not available. Eventually after a very heated discussion we were able to get the manager on the phone so that my mom would have the room I had been guaranteed the previous week. The manager did eventually come and sorted things out, but this was a major stress that never should have happened. People like this young girl should not be left to cover the front desk when clearly they have no customer service skills. I would never stay at this hotel again and it was the worst experience I've had anywhere in the world, and I travel a lot. So disappointing to have this happen in friendly Sioux Falls. Anyway aside from that, the hotel was clean and comfortable, but one bad apple spoils the whole bunch for me... A month later and I'm still disappointed by what happened...

I came in here dead tired and they were friendly and quick to get me checked in and on my way. Quiet room and clean too. The price was pretty good considering the local events that were going on at the time.

We advised the clerk at check in that we had our grandson along with on our trip. When the reservations were made we only booked a king because we didn't know he was going to be with us. I asked for the price of a cot and she offered a two queen-bed room instead, saving us that cost. We appreciated the extra effort to make our stay more comfortable. And our three year old grandson was excited with "mine own big bed!"

We stayed here on the way to the Black Hills. We needed a place to eat and rest up for another day of travel. The room was quiet and very clean. It was attractively decorated and large enough for 3 people. There was a great selection of restaurants within easy walking distance and The breakfast was great with eggs, sausages, biscuits, gravy, waffles, etc. The breakfast area even had a milk dispenser.

We've always loved staying at Best Western So when we had to make a quick to Sioux Falls we decided on Empire Towers. We were not disappointed. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and great to work with. Our kids loved the pool! The breakfast was also good, with the usual cereals, hot breakfast, etc. We were overall very pleased with our stay!

This hotel is my home away from home. Great place,good breakfast, clean rooms, internet. A very friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Always helpful with anything you may need. I want to mention a few who have done things for me. They are:Amanda, who has done a lot with the help here and always pleasant. Frank at front desk has helped me with several things.Jo makes a good breakfast and make sure food is plentiful.Dusty who is head of Housekeepingdoes a great job and Gail who is a housekeeper does a very good job. Great place to stay.Also front desk Ronnie.

Enjoyed our stay. Beds were a little less comfortable than other Best Westerns. Looked like it had recently been remodeled. Best feature was the elevator. The other BW we stayed at did not have an elevator. Kids enjoyed the pool. We would definitely stay here again.

The front desk staff working the graveyard shift was so rude it made my whole experience suck. I had been driving all day and was tired and just wanted to get checked in and go to bed. The guy at the desk was rude and argumentative. Make sure you get there early so hopefully you dont have to deal with that process.

Internet quality / speed poor, could not even get toilet paper in the evening, made a prior request that was approved then ignored, beds are not comfortable, location is good, but hotel is starting to get outdated

This was a nice, clean place to stay. They had a microwave and mini fridge in the room. They also had a complimentary continental breakfast. The beds were comfortable. There was a sketchy looking little motel across the parking lot (not anything Best Western can do about that). They are located far back from the main road and a little hard to see.

Thanks, and praise for JO in the breakfast room, who goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect and guests get what they want. Over-all desk staff as well as maintenance/cleaning staff are efficient and friendly, rooms are very clean and basic. Beds are good. Pillows a little too soft. No extra blankets or pillows provided, though staff would probably jump to provide these if asked.

Haven't been to a Best Western for a while but might be staying more often after this stay. Everything was good. There was one bulb missing (not burned out) on the desk light but the remaining light was more than adequate for my use. I did mention it at check out so it could be fixed for the next customer and the attendants (two of them) said they would have replaced it for me if I had asked the night before. I'm sure they would have but it wasn't necessary. (July 11-12, 2016)

Stopped here on way home from the Black Hills. Booked online as we were driving because it was the only hotel to come up on Tripadvisor as available. Upon arriving, desk clerk told us we got the last room they had due to a cancellation. Apparently an air show and a big concert caused all hotels to sell out that weekend. We were thankful for the room, although it was dirty upon arrival and has clearly not been vaccumed. The room for 4 guests only had 2 wash clothes and no shampoo. The air conditioner leaked overnight and the floor by the window was soaked. Breakfast was nice, but the tiny room was not adequate size for guests, with only a few tables to sit at. I would pick a another hotel before staying here again, unless it was again the only one available in this class. The price I paid was not a good value.

We stayed at Best Western Empire Towers on our way back to Iowa. The hotel is very neat and clean, quiet and luxurious according to our standards. The refrigerator was just the right size, the in-room coffee was much appreciated and the air conditioning system ran quietly as needed. The pillows were very comfortable.

1. Front desk staff lacked politeness and profesionalism 2. Bed linens seemed to be of goodwill quality. There was no freshness in the bed linens. 3. The breakfast room was extremely cramped. The breakfast itself was of poor quality.

Good location. Comfy beds. Clean and spacious room. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Easy to find. There is a pool. And located next to shopping area. A good value. Convenient parking. The area seems surrounded by business and other hotels. I wouldn't take a stroll in the eve ring around there.

The fresh baked cookies at check in were a nice touch. Clean and well decorated room, AC was on and room comfortable from the get go. Nice breakfast but the bacon and omelets needed to be replenished. Gravy for the biscuits should also be preheated before being put out for consumption. Maybe I am critical due to the fantastic breakfast at the Americinn in Aberdeen the night before.

Recently stayed here while passing through on the way to the black hills. As such, we were in and out. It was completely functional for our purpose. The room was clean, and the breakfast good. Parking was no problem and we found the staff friendly and helpful.

We had an awful time finding this hotel. We didn't have the specific address readily available while driving but knew it was near the mall. We drove by it twice before we saw it. It sits behind the Super 8 with limited signage along the main road. Once we arrived the hotel is clean and comfortable.

The front desk manager was very friendly and brought a plate of fresh made cookies for us and the other guest that were arriving. The room was quite clean and well appointed. The breakfast room was very clean and the food was fresh, hot, & plentiful. The location was good, the Mall was across the street, and plenty of dining opportunities were available up & down 41st St. You are only a few minutes away from Downtown & Fall Park.

We booked 2 rooms close together.1 room with 1 queen and 1 room with 2 queens. When we got here said they couldn't find a room with 1 queen so they upgraded it to a room with a king right next to our other room. Everything has been wonderful and will stay here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights and wasn't overly impressed. It's an average hotel. Location is ok. It's right across the street from the mall. No hot tub - I wish I'd have realized that when booking. Pool was cold. Room was ok, air conditioner couldn't keep up so it was kind of stuffy in the room. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was ok as well. Not sure if I would stay here again or not.

The overall appearance of this hotel is average, but the bed mattress and bed linens were marginal, at best. The bed mattress was not a "pillow-top" and was lumpy. The lines felt like gunny sacks. On a positive note, free breakfast was very good, with diverse items and well set-up. It was a quick overnight trip and the hotel located in a nice shopping area.

This was a comfortable stay for an overnight during our trip. I would recommend this as a place to relax overnight. Great staff, amenities, breakfast and grounds. I recommend The Empire Towers in Souix City, South Dakota.

We stayed one night on 6/24/16. We arrived about 7pm, check in was very quick and staff friendly. First impression on walking in the front door was not good, the entry foyer was not welcoming at all (see pic) and made it look run down. Once inside, it certainly improved. We had a king suite 215 that was very comfortable with kitchenette. It smelled like a previous occupant had been smoking in the room despite it being designated nonsmoking. Otherwise it was very nice. Heard some noise from neighbors briefly but not bad. Breakfast was good, and the lady handling the breakfast service was very friendly. It's in an interesting location hidden behind other hotels, but wasn't difficult to find. We would certainly stay here again.

Our room smelled bad, sprayed Lysol in the room to cover odor. Mattress pad was shredded, sheets and pillow cases has hair on them, runner at the foot of the bed had a stain that looked like blood on it. Had to call and ask for someone to at least come into the room with clean sheets and pillow cases and to take that runner out of the room. When the staff member arrived with the sheets, she threw them in the floor (which didn't look very clean) and told me that she didn't normally make the beds and wasn't sure how they did it. Just a dirty hotel. We felt dirty and uncomfortable the whole night. Would not recommend.

We just needed a place to stay one night on our way across South Dakota. BW Empire Towers is located just off I-29, but requires a little hunting to find it. It is tucked away behind some other buildings so you have to go past it and turn left at the next street and then immediately turn left again. We arrived too late to use the pool so can't comment on that. The beds were adequate and the room was quiet. When we went down to eat breakfast, the tables were full so we had to sit out in the lobby. It filled our needs for a place to crash one night and we would stay again.

This is the first time I had stayed with a Best Western that had a room right under the stairs. People were going up and down all night, It was so noisy. They should not have a room under stairs......or at least warn the people that were staying there that there was this problem. When leaving in the morning to check out I mentioned it and basically they said "oh well that is the luck of the draw". I was quite surprised at the attitude since they seemed so nice when checking in. I guess they don't like complaints.

We stayed here on our way across South Dakota-was a good price. Rooms were very clean and beds were very nice. Easy access to the Interstate. The workers were very helpful in giving directions to where we wanted to go. Breakfast area is kinda tight.We also choose to stay here again on our way back home. Price was very reasonable.

Bad value for the price. Room was dirty, carpet stained and curtains torn. Breakfast was adequate, well-prepared. Had to report noisy tenants on the floor above, they finally went to sleep or passed out...not certain staff did anything about the problem. Exterior was littered and needed cleaning up.

Hotel is located near many stores and restaurants so thus is good. B W has a nice breakfast in the morning and the rooms are comfortable . The morning staff was excellent so my only issue is with the evening staff. When we arrived, the desk clerk just sat there and looked at me and finally only asked "do you have a reservation"? Seems like a hello or good evening would have been nicer.

I am a Best Western person whenever possible and feasible. I was a little disappointed in this particular hotel as I believe it did not quite meet the high standards that the Best Western chain is known for. That being said, it is still a fine facility. Easy access to I-29 and very near just about all needed travel services (food, gas, convenience stores and the like) Be very careful after turning off of 41rst St., one can pass the driveway to the hotel very easily. You need to turn left immediately after the McDonald's on the left. Staff was great and the breakfast was satisfactory.

We always stay at this Best Western when we travel to Sioux Falls, S.D. There are lots of good resturants that are close enough to walk to, and a couple of malls that are close to the motel.. A Nice place to stay.

We stayed here twice on our trip going to Ct and then back to Alaska. It was a very nice hotel. The rooms and hotel were clean. The staff was very friendly and the beds were comfortable. The only problem was the signage from the main road... it was very hard to see. Other than that, we'll be back...

This has been our go to place for our frequent trips to Sioux Falls for medical reasons. Have to admit that this last stay in May was not quite up to previous experiences. Maybe after their transition, things will even out. Sure hope so! Price is good, breakfast is great, and rooms are clean and comfortable. Quiet. Jo in the Breakfast room makes you feel welcome and special. Frank who helps at the desk is a good guy and helpful.

We have stayed here previously and were happy to return for 3 nights. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Never used the pool so can't comment on it. Walking distance to several restaurants. We paid a little more than I usually like but it wasn't out of line with the other places in the area.

Our room was comfortable and clean. The only drawback that we found was that we could not access the internet and the attendant did not know how to remedy the problem. The breakfast was excellent with several options to choose from.

Was very pleased with this hotel. nice rooms and beds, breakfast was good. they have a pool but no hot tub. was pleased with stay.the pool was a little dirty but was nice. the lobby was very nice to walk into. they accommodate to pets which is very nice. the grounds are clean from pets droppings. again i would say stay and enjoy.

This is a very nice hotel. Super friendly staff. Staff was quick to assist in anything we needed. A well-stocked and good variety breakfast. Dining area has also recently been remodeled. Also the first time I've stayed at a completely non-smoking hotel. I really appreciated that. We had requested a rollaway bed. The first one we received was very uncomfortable. But staff immediately brought a different one and apologized over and over again about the inconvenience. I'd say this is one of the best experiences I've ever had at a hotel and will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Sioux Falls.

Staff is super friendly and happy to help however needed. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was warm and good, although the breakfast area seemed a little tight and cramped. I also got stuck in a room by the back door and by the stairs, so we had to listen to the door slam and people pound up and down the stairs a lot. All in all, it was a decent hotel and I would stay again and recommend to others.

This hotel is very clean, comfortable,quiet and has a nice atmosphere. My experience with the staff has been positive. I would say it is a little pricey for a Best Western, but competitive within the area and comparable hotels.

We were there for a graduation and wanted a motel that was central to the places we needed to be and this fit the need. It turned out to be a good choice overall. We found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. The pool was warm and clean.

I had an ADA accessible room across from the vending machines. I was concerned that it would be noisy, but the room was very quiet. Comfortable bed provided a very nice sleep. I would like to thank Jo and Tanya for the breakfasts. Good range of food, different selection every day, Eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles. Hot food hot, cold food cold. Kept clean and well stocked. Only a few blocks from the 29 freeway, but a bit tough to locate. Worth the effort. Reasonable prices.

Empire Towers is a no-frills hotel with pretty decent continental breakfast, standard rooms, and tremendous staff. Pros: the staff was awesome! Can't say anything else! They were helpful and attentive to our needs! Breakfast everyday was great! Can't complain there. Cons: the darn lock on our room kept locking us out and for me no exercise room though it did have a pool which was nice. The other problems was the guests next to us who were absolutely horrible but that's not the hotel fault.

This is the less expensive but better reviewed of two BW hotels in Sioux Falls. And our experience here clinched that opinion. While the hotel is hidden in plain sight and not flashy in the exterior, the room was well apportioned and very comfortable. Breakfast was also above average. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
