    « Nice place »

I arrived in a snow storm. Parking was good and service was great. Helpful staff. I was in a second building across the street. There is a sky walk, so getting to the restaurant was easy. Food was good and not that expensive. Pool looked clean. Nice place.

    « Nice friendly place »

Clean rooms, with very reasonable rate for pet deposit. Internet worked very well. Fridge in the room was convenient. They did not have a free continental breakfast, but we did receive a 50% off meal coupon, and 2 free drink coupons for their bar. Walking distance to several breweries and downtown.

« Great Value, at the edge of the historical cowboy town »

I ended up with a room that was tucked away in the back building - yes difficult to find, but very quiet. The outside of this building is OK but for the price the quality of the room was really outstanding! (I have paid twice the amount for a room in a larger city that wasn't nearly as good) Clean, fresh smelling, good size, not large but not too small either. Nice new bathroom, with the vanity (granite top) and sink conveniently located beside the door. The little fridge was great for keeping my travel food. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was also fresh and clean. Internet worked well. I loved the location. I arrived at about 5 pm, but being November it was almost dark. I went for a walk along the downtown street, which starts steps from the hotel. Lots of interesting shops and eating/drinking establishments that fit with Sheridan's historical cowboy town character. Most of the shops had hand made Christmas displays in the windows. (I think there was some kind of competition going on) Totally NOT what you would see in your local mall or downtown city street. A MUST SEE is the Mint Bar filled with taxidermy, photos, posters. Check out their own review on Trip advisor.

    « Not a great night's sleep! »

This is quite a dated motel style hotel with all the usual facilities offered in rooms. The set up is slightly strange with the reception being across the road from the rooms but it does have a bridge attaching the two together - although the heat is quite unbearable in there in Summer. There's not much to see in Sheridan but we only intended our stay to be a short stopover after a very long day of driving so we didn't see much of it. Unfortunately we were woken in the early hours to a domestic argument outside our room. There was a lot of what appeared to be alcohol fuelled shouting, swearing and screaming which after half an hour ended up in the room directly next door to us. This domestic continued for several hours and because the walls were so paper thin we could hear every spoken word and were nervous about calling reception as they would be able to hear us doing so. Our children were very scared by the aggressive nature of the row and we all felt quite vulnerable by the incident especially as reception was across the road and the building was built so flimsily. After virtually no sleep we left early in the morning. Breakfast was pretty basic, nothing special. On checking out we were asked if we had a good night's sleep so we explained that we didn't and the reason why. The girl on the desk couldn't have been more disinterested. Over all not up yo usual Best Western standards in my opinion. We would not stay there again.

    « Good Stopover »

We stayed just one night being on a coach tour, The room was very clean and spacious with all the usual amenities. Indoor swimming pool which does help relax you after a hectic day. There is a restaurant serving breakfast lunch and dinner. Breakfast was good.

    « NIce stop over »

This is a step up from a motel, and very quiet. There is separate bar area for residents and locals alike. The restaurant "Blackstone Grill" was fantastic both for dinner and breakfast. The staff were helpful, quick and friendly. Suggestions from local breweries was welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed!

« Nice place, nice people »

Stayed in the very comfortable rooms here on a coach tour, having had a credit card refused in a couple of places. Two young women at Reception spent the best part of an hour and couldn't have been more helpful in getting us through on the phone to the UK to find out what was going wrong. PLUS a helpful waiter in the restaurant recommended a riverside walk to the City Park, which gave us a chance to discover how civilised Sheridan is (thanks in part to a Mr Whitney, whose philanthropy pays for students to go to Uni). The same waiter, Starr, with her colleague Michael, also made dining in the hotel restaurant a relaxed and satisfying experience.

    « OK »

We stayed here one night as part of a Globus National Park Tour. Our room was ok, but it was a little like a motel setting. It was easy to walk into town although there was not much going on when we were there. The restaurant that we used was across the street. I assumed it was affiliated with the Best Western. There is a Dairy Queen very close to this hotel and seemed to be a hit with the local population.

« Very clean, pet friendly, near walking path along river »

Overnight stop on the way to Canada. Clean pet friendly main floor room. Close to Mill Park and nice walking trail along the river. Supper at Blackstone Grill was alright with good service. Will stay here again

    « Wonderful Stay! »

My husband and I stopped in Sheridan on a trip out west. Our room was on the ground floor with parking right outside the door. The room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. The counter staff was courteous and helpful. This motel is within walking distance of downtown shops. Free breakfast buffet at the Blackstone Grill across the street. This restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is great and seniors get a discount if you ask. Thank you, Starr, our awesome waitress! We would definitely stay here again!

« Awful, no way I'd ever go back »

This place is more a motel, certainly not a hotel. It is situated on two sides of the road at a cross-road (see photo). I took the photo at around 7am, so the road looks pretty quiet... it isn't during the day or late into the evening. My room was pretty standard but in an absolutely awful location (see photo). One door opened straight into the main road through the town, with all the traffic noise that brings, and there was traffic late into the night. The other opened onto a corridor which led to the swimming pool just a few yards away, with no doors in-between. I first entered the room from the street door, and the very first thing I noticed was the overpowering smell of chlorine/bleach. There were no windows to the outside so no possibility of airing the room to reduce the stench of chlorine and the only ?fresh' air came through the gaps around the external door where drafts came through. The room was unbearably hot & stuffy all night ? it was impossible to use the air conditioning unit in the room because it was so noisy. The room was also right by the entrance to a corridor which ran along the internal bedroom doors to the indoor pool: it had a window opening onto the corridor, but there was no point opening that because it would have let more chlorine into the bedroom. Even with the window firmly shut, the external door to the corridor was so close, and shut with such a loud bang, that it woke me up whenever late-night revelers returned to their rooms, and they sounded as if they were in the bedroom next to me ? a 2? gap at the bottom of the door to the corridor certainly didn't help keep either the noise or the chlorine out of the room, and stuffing spare pillows into the gap didn't seem to help at all. The pool was open until 10pm and accompanied by loud voices, singing voices, adults shouting & children screaming. There was also a pervasive humming in the room... one source of which was the fridge which I turned off immediately. I could hear taps running in nearby rooms all night. The carpet was filthy don't think it had been vacuumed for days. Abysmal night's sleep. Awful location.

« Noisy near the pool »

Traveling with our pup and liked the pet owner reviews of this hotel. Room was okay, had two doors, one from interior corridor and one to rear of motel. Unfortunately two barky dogs living right across alley from rear door. The only lawn at the motel is off limits to pets, but there is a great door park just a few blocks away. No microwave. Room was near indoor pool, which is NOT closed off from the interior corridor, so got to hear the whooping and yelling until late evening. Nice skybridge across hwy to office and restaurant, but no elevators to access it.

    « Definitely different! »

When we had to drive into the city to find this place, I wondered just what I had gotten us into! Rooms on one side of street, office and restaurant on the other, steps up from outside, enclosed walkway over street, doors in rooms opening to exterior and interior hallway....just different. But everything was fine. Got in OK..had to pull luggage up one flight but so what, had an ice machine to fill up cooler, breakfast was good (used voucher system). Clean, beds good, enough room to move. Would stay here again, might look for another place might not, enjoyed our stay. Parking was out front, a little crowded, but not too bad.

« Close to riverr for nice walk »

We arrived in the late afternoon and were allocated a large room with two double beds, fridge and coffee making facilities to the back of the hotel. It is actually more of a motel than hotel and it straddles the main street with a bridge over. The room was fine and comfortable. The walls are very thin and we could hear the people talking in the adjacent room. Immediately at the back of the hotel is a pleasant walk alongside the river to a park. We then climbed up through a wooded area and back along, overlooking the town. The main street is uninspiring and of very little interest. There is a breakfast available, which was plentiful and varied.

    « Clean and friendly »

We stayed for 2 days. Our room was clean and had a sliding door to a beautiful grassed courtyard with picnic tables. Beds was comfortable. Had a fridge. We asked for a microwave and they brought it very quickly. Was a little noisy but nothing that kept us up at night. We didn't visit the restaurant on site but it seemed to stay busy. There is a Dairy Queen within walking distance. I would defiantly stay again. I tried to upload a picture but trip advisor didn't work

    « Great Visit »

I would highly recommend this hotel to any business traveler. Well located and veyr affordable. Printed material was very helpful and useful for the surrounding area. Staff were outstanding and helpful. I will absolutely stay here again.

    4
    « Well Kept »

Older facility that has been very well kept and updated. Nice little bar on site and says free breakfast but it's really 50% off. Room on back side of the facility was quite and very clean. The rooms have been updated in the last few years. Hotel is well located to walk to town center for shopping or dinning.

« If you have a Tesla...stay here!! Not done with staying here, but wanna come back already! »

The BW Sheridan Center is my go-to for where to stay in Sheridan. This trip as well as the times I've stayed here for leisure trips as well as conferences just keeps getting better. First of all, the place is immaculate. The housekeeping staff, desk clerks, and restaurant wait staff keep this place in tip-top shape. My room was comfy, which I particularly when I'm on a business trip. The bed was comfy, linens soft and clean (and might I add pretty), the towels fluffy and thick, nice amenities, quiet (I was in the business wing), outfitted well with what I needed for business purposes, a fridge was in the room and they brought me a microwave. LOVE the decor, particularly the chair covered with fabric that had a big bull elk on it! Food at the restaurant was great. The breakfast had nice thick bacon pieces, cooked exactly as I wanted it and they even have Montana Bread Company rye bread...try it, yummy. Their lunch specials are economical as well as tasty. Lots of specials to choose from. AND for dinner, try their prime...cooked perfectly. The wait staff is efficient, great, personable and show kindness to guests. What more can you ask for? Great coffee? They have it. The business center is clean and well stocked. Quiet and located well in the main building. Now to the desk staff. I can't say enough good about them. Thank you, ladies!! You made my stay memorable, easy and pleasant. Kris, Sarah, Katie, Tiffany and Renee in Sales in Marketing. Many, many, thanks. You all run a tight ship. I don't have a Tesla, but I noticed about six docking stations located in the main lot. Easy to juice up your car and spacious. If you have a Tesla...now you know where to come in Sheridan!! Will be leaving in a few days, but will be back in a week or so...HOW could I chose to stay anyplace else?? I can't. My home away from home.

    « clean and comfortable »

We stayed here while en route from Idaho to Colorado. Overall a clean and comfortable stay with friendly staff. The free breakfast was a very nice buffet and was more than enough. And it was actually in the on-site restaurant rather than in the lobby. The layout of this hotel is odd for a BW. Part of the hotel is across Main st. There is a skywalk connecting both sides which was fine for us but anyone that is stair-challenged would definitely struggle. Our room was close to the pool and the smell of chlorine was overwhelming when we first entered our hallway. Apparently our noses did adjust and this did not bother us except for the very first entry into the building. After we checked out we could not access the building and had to walk way around to get to our vehicle because they hadn't unlocked the hallway doors yet. This was about 8am.

« FRONT DESK STAFF NEEDS LESSON IN COURTESY »

Front desk staff acted like they were too busy to assist us. One was writing and told us the other would be with us shortly - waited 5-10 mins when finally the other one had finished her filing and was ready to assist us. She was rude and short with us when we asked if they would come down to the Expedia rate. She told us that had nothing to do with them and basically turned and left. She didn't even give us a chance to change our mind and book with them. Talk about POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. At least say it in a courteous manner or with a smile. Total turn off. We went out of our way to find a different hotel - and ended up staying at one beneath our standards but, at least the staff was nice & very accommodating. I'm sure the owners and/or management would love the fact that their front desk staff is so unfriendly it causes people to leave and even go to a different hotel.

« Clean, updated and inexpensive. »

We started out on the wrong foot when they told us none of the rooms would be ready until 3. It was 2:15 and we had just biked 80 miles. We were tired and wanted a shower. How can all the room be ready at 3? They gave us a drink ticket for the lounge and took our bikes behind the office. Getting off to a better start. We finished and got to our room and we were very surprised at how clean and well organized it was. The price was inexpensive enough that you start to wonder. Cleanliness is most important and it was.

    5
« Value, good management & classy rooms »

We have probably stayed at this Best Western 4 times since 2008. Their room lay-out is my personal favorite: a sink outside the bathroom, but still hidden from the sleeping area. The room maintenance is up-to-date, & the furnishings are spiffy. During their slow season, they offer a sharp price, with BW points. Since our last visit, they have replaced their buffet breakfast with a cooked-to-order menu, which I really appreciated. Highly recommended!

    3
    « A bit dated »

Although it was clean, it was pretty dated and a bit of a walk down the main Street into town. We had to cross the main highway from our room to the main dining area and reception, with no pedestrian crossing to be seen. The local drivers must be used to it and often slowed right down and even stopped so we could cross. (thanks) We had dinner here and it was very average. You could either have buffet or order from the menu, we chose the menu and had steak, it was very fatty. The service staff were very pleasant and well mannered. The price is OK and reflective - pay for what you get. The buffet breakfast wasn't that great either, with choice. If they spent a little money on the décor and improved the dining area, it would be worth it. It does have an indoor pool that looked nice. Free WiFi too.

    5
    « Great location »

This is a nice clean motel, in a great location. The restaurant had a nice menu, good service and tasty food. There is also a separate sports bar. The location is great, at the end of the main street, making downtown completely walkable.

« My driver's stay at your facility »

The staff at this facility worked over time to make sure that our driver was taken care of. He had been in a wreck and was without transportation etc...Along with Maintenance, your front desk Hannah, went above and beyond to ensure that he was taken where he needed to be. This was not a quick process...over several hours we had to try and figure out how to get him transportation out of there. Along with needing to get to the truck and retrieve his personal belongings, we needed to get him to a truck stop to receive funds for travel...then get to the bus station, where we were told by Greyhound he could purchase a ticket. This was not so...so once again we had to make changes that affected your staff...throughout the process, Hannah and your maintenance staff were nothing but professional and extremely personable! I just cant say enough good things about the staff at this location!! Thank you so very much for helping in every way possible to get our driver home!! We definitely recommend this hotel for any and all who need a place to stay!! Thanks guys! Blair Logistics Inc...

    « Excellent Value. »

We had a very good experience at this hotel. For a free breakfast, it was very good. Eggs, potatoes, bacon, yogurt, fruit, muffins, waffles, etc. The coffee was actually very good as well. The location was really nice; right downtown Sheridan and a short drive to good restaurants. Perhaps my primary reason for rating this hotel as "excellent" is the customer service. We ended up heading back a day early, and even though our original reservation said "no cancellations", they allowed us to check out early with NO extra charge. Lobby and room were both very clean. Overall, it was a good experience, considering this is a Best Western hotel.

    5
« Oh man I love this place »

This is an excellent hotel from the 1980s(?). It just owns it. First of all it's super clean, the staff are great and it's in the middle of town. But honestly this place is way more than that. The building spans both sides of the main street so to get from one part to the other you walk across this sky bridge, which is pretty kooky (it also makes noises but it's TOTALLY stable. Feels like you're in a sci-fi movie). Then there is a pool area with a hot tub that feels almost polynesian...like a resort. Then there is a wonderful full breakfast included, buffet style. Our room was large and immaculate. We took a dip in the pool, had a cocktail at the hotel bar (just OK but it's my fault for ordering a martini where that's not the thing) and traipsed out into the starry night for dinner. Absolutely stay at this hotel. Quiet, great nights sleep, relaxed breakfast, great deal, cool as anything.

    3
« Okay stay at Best Western Sheridan Center »

This was day 4 of my 16 day National Park Tour with Cosmos, we stayed here for the night after we visited the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument. The hotel is off a busy street (I guess it's the main drag going thru Sheridan). My room was an end unit that bordered a busy back road (could hear some of the road noise in my room). The hotel restaurant was across the street where I ate dinner and breakfast, the food was okay. There were some other restaurants and shops within walking distance from the hotel but was too tired after a long day of touring to try any of them.

    3
« This was a WOW Best Western with a poor Breakfast! »

This is the Best Western of Best Westerns with a bar, indoor swimming pool, great clean rooms and Friendly staff. However the breakfast here is lame for such a great hotel. I expected more and you could tell that others sitting around did too. They had a great all you can eat prime rib when we arrived but dropped the ball on breakfast! Rate was 107.99 a night here. Parking was hard also.

« Did not feel the love »

I stay at BW more than not and am a Platinum level member in their travel program. In most places, we are thanked for being a Platinum member and often offer an upgrade if available. When I went to check in at this BW Sheridan property, I did not fee the welcoming that should be offered, and I just did not feel the love from the young man behind the desk. He did not offer the usual thanks for being a platinum member except to mention two free house drinks in their bar. I had requested a ground floor room but was told none were available. So we took the 2nd floor room which was adequate. It was quite quiet adn the room looked clean. One issues I have with the Best Western properties, is that you rarely get anything put plastic glasses and foam coffee cups. When you pay well above $100 a night for a room, it sees to me that they could at least offer glass glasses and coffee mugs. Same goes for their free breakfasts. Using plastic table ware and coffee cups is very annoying. I think I will go a step higher to Hampton Inns or Holiday Inn Express from now on.

« On both sides of a main street. »

Avoid this town, if possible. Nothing much to see or do. This was a one nighter on a bus trip and was a passing through stop. This hotel is probably the best available in this town, but not particularly desirable. The outside is dingy looking and is on both sides of a main street. The lobby, restaurant, etc.are on one side and the rooms across the street. Rooms have been renovated and were surprisingly quite nice. The breakfast had a waffle station as well as the usual, and was good.

    4
« Great place to spend the night. »

Stopped last minute to spend the night on a bike trip. Parking area for bikers, on site restaurant and lounge. Centrally located so you can walk to attractions. Will definately stay again! Friendly staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Pool....etc.

    3
    « OK Stay »

We were only here for one night, travelling as a party of four. One thing to be aware of with this hotel, is that it is split by a busy road. When we arrived in one car to we discovered that 2 of us were one side of the road and 2 on the other. Not great, especially as our booking was made for 2 rooms. It wasn't the fault of the receptionist who finally sorted things out for us, but the situation wasn't helped by another receptionist who made some comment about a bus party and priority. Our room was ok, but the hallway carpets looked tired. Breakfast was ok.

    « Clean rooms! »

Very comfy beds! Clean rooms was a huge plus, yummy breakfast and nice location in the middle of town! You can walk the town right out door. Friendly staff, fair price, indoor pool. Thanks for a great experience

Very friendly people who try to please you in every way. I would definitely stay here again. They offer you a free drink in the lounge when you arrive, and have a good restaurant attached to the hotel.

    « Blackstone Grill 5 Stars »

We stayed one night during a Globus Bus trip on 9/17/16. The room was nice. The Blackstone Grill provided excellent service and food. The staff was the best! Thank you for a great dining experience - job well done!

    « Decent stay »

I have stayed at this hotels multiple times over the years and I have found the place to be decent. The cost has typically been around $90-100/night. Overall the rooms are relatively clean with the occasional exception but nothing that has caused me to leave. The hotel is a little dated but some of the rooms have been updated which has helped. The rooms typically have cable with a flat screen tv. The AC/heat has never been a issue. The hotel has a skywalk to access the rooms and the pool from the office which is across the street. The unique items are: Tesla charging stations, and easy access to some restaurants that are within walking or driving distance. My suggestion of eateries that are close are; Frackletons, the rib and chop house, and Sanford's. There really isn't and fast food close by. The location makes it easy to get to the interstate or to old downtown. Downtown you can visit the Old Wyo Theatre. If I had a negative, it would be that I have stopped eating breakfast at the restaurant. For various reasons I have found it to be disappointing. Sometimes due to service, selection, or food quality.

    5
« Stay here in the lovely city of Sheridan »

This hotel has it all....a bar with free drink per guest; restaurant on-site with 20% senior discount; full buffet breakfast included; great pool and awesome hot tub; comfortable room and beds; friendly staff and enclosed footbridge to lobby and restaurant/tavern. This hotel is busy with tour groups but they managed well.

    3
« Standard motel stop on a bus trip! »

This was a standard motel stop on a bus trip! Nothing terrible to report! Basically a one night stand, beds were ok; breakfast was standard. Location was on the main street not much to do at night, pool was away from most of the rooms you had to cross a pedestrian bride to get to it.

    « Excellence and More »

We arrived at the hotel and had a trailer that we were pulling. When I asked about parking they were very helpful and gave good directions. The room was excellent and very comfortable. We were able to watch Thursday Night Football in the Lounge and had a great time. The Breakfast was fabulous. All in all the stay was filled with Excellence and More!!!

    « Friendly place. A bit odd. »

Comfortable room. Excellent service in restaurant from waitress 'Star'. Huge portions! Odd integral bridge across the road from one part of hotel to another. Very convenient location for rest of town.

    1
    « Disappointing »

A very old motel. Room is drab and out of the past, sorely in need of updating. Access room down a narrow alley and it's difficult to park there. Lobby is located across Main Street. One of the towels was all wrinkled and looked like it had been used. This place isn't cheap either! Definitely not worth the cost. Stay somewhere else if you can.

    2
    « Basic hotel »

Stayed as part of epic tour. The room was clean and comfortable but with 2 doors, one opening onto the very small pool and one onto the back street. The one door had a 2" gap under it!!!! The bathroom was small but with plenty of towels. Similar to a motel in the center of town. Unable to use the pool as not open until 8am when we had to leave. The overall feeling was a very tired establishment, poor for Best Western!!

    4
« Good place to stay in Sheridan »

This was hotel #7 on our Globus tour. We had a decent room - clean, comfortable, quiet and functional. We also enjoyed dinner in their restaurant (while getting a laundry done across the street in the other building) and breakfast buffet the next morning. This is a fairly good choice while in Sheridan.

    5
    « Great hotel! »

Location, location, location! From this hotel you are able to walk straight to historic shopping district and enjoy a little bit of Sheridan night life as well. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

    3
    « Needs help »

Personnel were great. The property needs and upgrade. Poor TV didn't work. Rooms need help. Rubber pillows. Take a look at the Missoula Best Western as an example of what a hotel should be like for the money!

« Checkin was a pain in the butt »

I checked in about 1615MDT on 14 Sept 2016. At least 12 people, evidently affiliated with some energy firm, had all arrived simultaneously in front of me and were checking in as well. Their reservations apparently were made in a sloppy/haphazard fashion because their check-in procedure was SLOOOOOOW ("Oh, was my reservation made in your name? Well, no, it was made under Bill's." "So, when did Tom reserve our rooms?" "Does this place have free breakfast?" etc etc etc). I also noted what I interpreted to be unnecessary (read: time-consuming) banter between the staff and guests, when getting people checked in expeditiously should have been the order of the day. I'd been driving all day and I will admit I was unhappy/impatient with the wait. Nevertheless, when I finally was the next customer to be checked in, the unoccupied staff member present behind the counter chose to answer the phone and take a reservation rather than check me in. So it was about a 5 MORE minute delay. I was finally assigned room 210, in a building west of Main Street, whose distance from the reception area I would estimate as about 75 yards (one can drive a vehicle from reception to the parking area beside this building). As I was finally being checked in, I overheard another guest immediately behind me indicate that his room key card did not work. And when we got over to our room, OUR KEY CARDS DID NOT WORK EITHER. Good God. So I--literally--jogged back the 75 yards or so to the reception area. The other young front desk lady was very apologetic, and quickly issued me key cards that did operate the room lock upon my return to the room. I suppose front desk staff cannot help when many people arrive simultaneously to check in, but my impression of what occurred there between 1600 and 1645MDT on 14 Sept was positively shambolic. Also, my room's bath did not have a functional exhaust fan. I cannot understand why hotels refuse to install such a simple appliance. The room was OK otherwise: clean, good mattresses, functional wifi, TV. There are no elevators in the building to which we were assigned, which may be of concern to some folks. I will say, however, that the breakfast next day was outstanding. Best scrambled eggs I had on my 8-day trip. And bacon is always great to see at an included breakfast rather than the all-too-frequent SOS.

« Small room with only the basics- NO ELEVATOR »

Property is on both sides of the street. We were booked here as part of a tour other wise I would not have stayed here. Room small and tired. Free breakfast was ok but dining area small. No elevator so we were able to get a first floor room

    4
« Nice Hotel, but do NOT eat there! »

Rooms were nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, do not eat at their restaurant. Their free breakfast is worth what you paid for it. Pre-cooked scrambled eggs, burnt bacon, and sugary orange drink.

    « Very good »

We only stayed the one night but all seemed good. Check in was efficient, staff very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was included and was nothing special but adequate. I would definitely recommend this as a stopover.

« Try to Stay Elsewhere »

Strike number 1 was when we discovered that our room had two queen beds instead of the king bed on the reservation. When we complained at the front desk, we got a shrug of the shoulders and were told that they had no available rooms with king beds. They couldn't explain why our reservation wasn't held. The rooms are in three different buildings from the one housing the lobby and restaurant - across the main street and across the side street. The buildings are two stories with no elevators and primarily outside access to the rooms. Rooms are ok, nothing special. Restaurant was adequate at dinner. Food was average and service was distracted at times. While we didn't avail ourselves of the buffet, the individual at the carving station frequently left his post creating a line of people waiting for food to be carved. If we stay in Sheridan again, it will be elsewhere.

    « excellent »

Nice comfy bed, the room was very clean, super indoor pool all to myself. Good wine bar in centre of town. Very clean and no noise problems. we had a good meal in the cowboy cafe, they were able to cope with my gluten free diet.

We loved the Sheridan BW from the first moment we walked into our room. The letter on the bed was impressive. They strive for excellence and are there to make your experience nothing less than excellent. Keep up the great work, Sheridan BW!! I highly recommend this hotel.

« Great place to stay!! »

Very nice hotel with a great breakfast, nice indoor pool, clean rooms, and a great staff. All you could ask for. The town of Sheridan has a nice old west feel to it. Lots of history around the area including The Custer Battlefield which is about a hours drive north on the interstate. Definitely would stay again!!

    « An excellent stay »

An enjoyable stay whilst travelling on to Yellowstone NP. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The resturant was reasonably priced. No complaints and would be very happy to stay again.

    « Wonderful front desk »

We had a slight problem with air conditioning first night. Hannah at front desk could not have handled it better. She worked it out even though they were booked the night before. Great service, clean rooms, and good breakfast.

    « Touring holiday »

Clean but slightly tired hotel beds were comfortable though. Only stayed here one night we were on the ground floor at back of hotel so it was quiet. Nicely situated on Main Street so we could walk out in the evening town felt very safe and people were lovely and friendly. We didn't eat in the hotel at night we eat in town but breakfast was adequate. Ask for a room away from the pool as our was otherwise the smell of chlorine from the pool may be unpleasant. Nice indoor pool small but well up kept adequate free parking.

« Long motorcycle ride from PA »

The room and facilities were nice. Staff very friendly and they went out of their way to accommodate us even though we checked in early. We had dinner in the dining room. I was a little disappointed with the fettuccine carbonara on the menu . It was not fettuccine , it was chopped up spaghetti and the sauce was made up of oil and garlic like a scampi , not a carbonera . I suggested the chef look up the recipe for carbonara. It should have a creamy Alfredo type sauce and some prefer with a yoke of an egg mixed in. The staff was very nice about it and waiter , Michael ,was very attentive. They offered a dessert in order to make good, but I declined , I just commented on the menu discrepancy but the food itself was ok.

    « Older hotel »

We had a room in the back lot of the motel, next to the alley and drive thru for the local Dairy Queen. First glance, the room looked nice, has had some updates. But, on further checking the floors and chairs were stained, the bathroom wasn't super clean either. The complimentary breakfast was good. It's right downtown Sheridan, very close to everything, but next time we go to Sheridan we will probably stay somewhere else.

    4
    « very good »

The room was a little small. one could tell it was an older hotel that had been remodeled---very well too but the rooms itself was a little tight and no exhaust fan in the bathroom or heater in the bathroom.

    « Solid Overnight Stay »

This is an older Best Western that has been kept current and clean on the inside. Our room had a vaulted wood-paneled ceiling which was out-of-the-ordinary and nice. Our kids were looking for a bigger pool with slides. We ate in the restaurant and had a good meal and great service. The Skyway had a nice view. We were just there overnight - the town had an interesting western feel to it - I wish we had more time to explore the area.

« Clean, comfy, and convenient »

The Best Western in Sheridan, WY was a good spot. It's not fancy or spacious, but our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff in both the motel and the restaurant were very friendly and provided good service. We enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant. My grilled shrimp and my husband's meatloaf were quite good. I'm a bit of a salad snob so I wasn't pleased with my iceburg side salad. The complimentary breakfast was not so hot but the coffee was good and we're fine with cereal. There's lots of interesting road trips to take. We enjoyed our ride through the Big Horn mountains and a stop at the famous Occidental Hotel in Buffalo (frequented by Butch Cassidy, the Sundance Kid, and Calamity Jane. You gotta love that!) Each night we walked over to the Dairy Queen, right across the street :-) If we're in the area again, we'll stay at this Sheridan. Happy trails! Bruce & Connie Virginia

Great room, friendly staff, good restaurant. I celebrated my birthday in style here. We were even allowed to bring our bottle of wine Ned wine glasses back to our room for a continued celebration. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

    « Nice Hotel »

We stopped here after a long motorcycle ride. Check in was OK and everything else was good. Room was good, bed was comfy, washroom was good. Did not use the pool, but we should have. We had a free breakfast and it was very good. The lounge is pretty good and the service there was great. I would stay here again

Hotel located on both sides of N. Main St road so we had to check in on one side and drive over to other side, although there is a walk over but we were advised it gets very hot up there. Not to convenient, staff were friendly and efficient. Not sure about restaurant, very busy and food left a bit to be desired. Would not stay here again.

« Over night stay and dinner. »

Excellent friendly service by all staff from greeting by hotel manager and great service by all restaurant staff for dinner. Rooms are newly renovated and spacious . Blackstone Grill offered good selection from sandwiches to salmon and fillet mignon and salads. Daily specials. All priced well.Travelled as part of a bus tour.

    « In Sheridan »

As we arrived a couple hours before we could check in, we asked the girls at the front desk what was there to do while we waited. They didn't know of anything. I can't imagine living in Sheridan and not knowing of places of interest in their own town. On our own we checked out the Trail End mansion and took a really nice tour of the old Victorian house.

    5
    « So very helpful »

I was so pleased with the staff of this facility. I lost a favorite shirt the day we arrived in Sheridan and when we packed to leave the next day I noticed it was missing. The front desk staff informed me that the restaurant I suspected I lost it in did not open until 11:00 AM and we needed to leave. They volunteered to try to retrieve it for me and were successful. They sent it on to my home in Jacksonville. Fl after letting me know they had my shirt for which I was happy to pay the shipping charges. I had my shirt waiting for me when I got back home. I will always believe the best people live in Sheridan, Wy. We had a very relaxing stay and enjoyed the hotel very much.

We interacted with several staff members from the front desk staff to the bartenders and waitresses. We were made to feel welcome and important. We definitely will be staying again at the Best Western Sheridan WY.

You can tell that the owners invest back into this property. Rooms were very nice. This is an old style motor inn where you can drive right up to your room. Our room had both an indoor entrance as well as an outdoor entrance. Easy walking to some of Sheridan's better restaurants. Worth the drive to downtown. Good value.

The Best Western Sheridan Center is a great place to stay. It is only a few blocks from downtown Sheridan and the hotel has all of the amenities that anyone would need! I highlyt recommend this hotel when staying in Sheridan, WY

« Weary travelers-no room at the inn »

The Best Western had my party booked for 1 Double Queen room, not the 4 Double Queen rooms I had booked and prepaid through Tripadvisor/getaroom. The hotel told us they were completely booked and had no record of my reservation, even though I had my confirmation email. This was very stressful as we were tired after a long day of travel. After about 40 minutes the hotel did give us 4 rooms, 2 doubles and 2 singles. No refund was given for the stress and inconvenience caused. The rooms were nice, once we finally got them. I will still use trip advisor for reviews but will be very hesitant to book through you in the future!

« Best Western Sheridan is a surprisingly good hotel »

Stopped at the Best Western Sheridan for a one night stay on our trip between the Black Hills, SD and Yellowstone National Park. The hotel includes a few buildings on either side of the main road through town. It's within walking distance of restaurants and a short drive to several more eating establishments. The pool area is indoors and includes a nice, clean pool and built-in hot tub. Check in was quick, and my credit card was charged appropriately - on surprises. The continental breakfast included scrambled eggs, a waffle maker, sausage biscuits and gravy, among several other items. We stayed in room 145, very convenient parking and very close to the pool, which is what we requested. The room was a little outdated, but it was roomy and clean. I certainly recommend this hotel.

    5
    « Excellent Hotel! »

Welcoming, comfortable, professional--definitely everything you want in a quality hotel for an excellent value. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our traveling motorcycle group. Thank you, Best Western!

    4
    « Good restful stay »

The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was above average and the entire facility was kept up well. On the downside is the parking and room access which might require more than the average walk if the hotel is sold out. Overall I would recommend it as a nice stay in Sheridan

    5
« Best Western was great »

We had a family reunion, several family members stayed at the hotel. We got a group rate and even a special room set up for the impromptu dinner the first night. The staff was very accommodating and made our time together as a family special.

« Nice location but no outside pet area »

Room comfortable, good shower, good food, but not a very good pet area outside. Sabrina in the bar was very sweet getting our food order together and the lobby is beautiful. Breakfast in the restaurant was more than the usual cereal and waffles.

« Disappointed yet again with Blackstone Grill »

We have made several attempts to dine here on Saturday night for the Prime Rib Buffet. Each time we were told it was going to be 30-45 minutes late. Last evening we went for the buffet, but were told it was going to be served at least 45 minutes late, again. We ended up getting a steak that was so full of fat and gristle that it was mostly not edible. Our server, Starr, was the best part of the dining experience. She was honest, professional and attentive.

« Have stayed in better Best Westerns »

No elevators, advertise pet friendly but no pet area, took away that privilege (don't consider privilege I paid $20 for our pet and no pet area). Have to walk across the street to your rooms. Located right down town, cute town but not very pet friendly. Quiet and peaceful at night. Some hotel staff very pleasant. Good dinners at the restaurant. Free Breakfast was ok but need a little more organization of food.

    « A Pleasant Room »

This is a large, older, sprawling motel crossing two streets and comprised of four buildings, Sheridan Center. The buildings are in good repair and the staff are helpful. The hot breakfast was generous and included thick slices of real ham! The staff were friendly. Older persons should be aware that there are no elevators; however there are only two floors to each building. Upon check-in, I misunderstood the instructions and crossed the wrong street, dragged our luggage up to the second floor and to the end of a far corridor only to find that my room number was not to be found. I needed to return to street level and and proceed to a building kitty corner to find my second floor unit. The desk did send a staff member over to assist with the transfer. All in all the stay was quite pleasant.

    4
« Rooms were good, the handicapped access was bad »

We arrived late in the evening and checked in at the lobby, nothing different right? well the lobby was across the street from where our room was. My wife needs a wheel chair to go any distance...we had to park where the lobby side was and carry her wheel chair up 3 flights of stairs to cross the street in what can be best described as a gerbil tube....we wheeled through the tube....and had to descend 1 flights of stairs to get to our room floor (2nd) and go through several doors, all difficult to open while pushing a wheel chair. If I remove the wheel chair aspect of our stay It is a great hotel for location and the staff were very friendly. A great stop if you are working your way across the country.

« Very calm and relaxing pleasurable meal with great taste. »

We ordered Tomato Basil Sandwich and a Mushroom Bacon Swiss with two Arnold Palmers to drink. The drinks were never empty and the food was very good. Star is a Great waitress and if you get the chance swing in and try it for yourself and I am pretty sure you will agree. Prices are about average with our meals ranging $8.95 and $10.95 and drinks $2.50. We will be going back and bringing others with us.

    « Okay short stay »

Typical motel type accommodation nothing special. Walk up room off car park - loud sir conditioning - Room 118 - seemed a little older than the normal Best Western but local was good as everything was close buy.

    4
    « Okay stay »

It's in a good locataction, close to the downtown area and a few good places to eat. The hotel is also pet friendly but if your dog's park at loud bangs or yelling, the walls are thin and every door in the hotel seems to slam. We didnt try the breakfast because we left early, but I'm sure it was good.

    « Great place »

Situated in a convenient part of beautiful Sheridan, this hotel had everything we needed. The rooms were clean and the service was great. I would recommend this hotel for a stay. Our family enjoyed the pool area, breakfast, nice rooms and easy and well- lit parking,

« Great Choice in Sheridan »

Convenient to downtown, our spacious room was comfortable and clean. Tony, at the front desk, was extremely helpful as he put us in one of updated units out back. A generous breakfast buffet is included. At a price of $95 plus tax, we thought it was extremely good value in a quaint and attractive town. Easy to see why this is the #1 hotel in Sheridan.

    3
    « Nice room & breakfast »

Overall a good experience. Pool area was nice, room was nice and comfy and breakfast was good. Not many exits & long hallways. Made me wonder if exits are to code. Check in staff was overwhelmed with 6 people in front of me waiting to check in. He was the only one staffed.

« Great hotel, nice rooms, good location, friendly staff, good breakfast, lots of rooms »

On a trip with 4 other couples - easy check-in, friendly staff, great location, walk to restaurants, comfortable rooms, able to do some laundry, pool, must be soundproof because never woke up from noise, clean, comfortable, good breakfast provided free. Would definitely stay here again!

    « Very Nice »

After a long day on the road, it was nice to get to this place where everything was fantastic. From the time we checked in & out all was great. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. There was a coffee pot & coffee in the room. We went to their bar and the bartender was very helpful & friendly. The happy hour prices were very reasonable, $2.25 for a well drink. Plenty of parking. Good location to restaurants, stores & gas.

    « Good stopover. »

This is an older property but well maintained with friendly staff. The pool at hot tub were nice. Room was comfortable and quiet. Note that there are some pool side rooms that might not be as quiet but they have several buildings with lots of room options. Close enough to the highway for convenience but not so close as to hear highway noise. Overall a decent value.

« Quirky hotel in a quaint town »

Sheridan is an interesting town where old and new comes together and this hotel fits right in. The hotel is spread over 4 buildings on both sides of Main street. It is an older style hotel and as a result has nice big rooms. There is a reasonable sized pool and a hot tub. There is also a bar and restaurant. So everything you need is covered. The staff are helpful. There is easy access to walk down Main street where there are additional bars and restaurants and some very interesting shops - especially if you like antiques or oddities. Bigger shops including a supermarket are a short drive away. Worth a visit.

    « Would Recommend »

The room we had in this hotel was very nice as were the amenities. I did have some trouble accessing Wi-Fi and became frustrated with it. The comfort of the bed was great and the services we received were very good. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. I would recommend this Best Western to my friends and family.

    « Vacation »

Hotel is dated and spread out. Rooms small and crowded with to match furniture. Room was dark and lots of noise outside and upstairs. Breakfast was good but the usual and staff was friendly. Rooms need to be updated more. Sheridan is a very nice small town with lots of good restaurants and shopping in their downtown area.

« Best Hotel of Our Trip »

The hotel staff was friendly and the room was clean. The room was had (2 Queen beds) was very big which was nice. The pool was also clean and my kids loved it the three days we stayed here. The décor in this hotel is also well done. This was a perfect hotel for our family on a cross country trip. This was actually the best hotel we stayed in out of the 6 over a 12 day period. The breakfast was good and the area was big so you weren't crammed in a little room like some hotels. Great job Best Western Sheridan!

    5
    « Great room »

The Best Western Sheridan Center is probably the best place we have stayed in quite some time. It is nicely decorated, possibly newly remodeled, and extremely clean. For the most part it is quiet except unfortunately our room was on the second floor directly across from access to the pool area so it was a little noisy with the kids having fun but not enough for us to be concerned. The staff that I interacted with was very pleasant. Security is really good as you have to use your key just to access the building at all times of the day or night not just between certain hours. The only thing they didn't have was a microwave but as it turned out we didn't need one anyway. Parking was sort of an issue but could have been worse. All in all a really great place to stay and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again should we find ourselves visiting Sheridan WY again in the future.

    5
    « Great place »

We stayed 1 night in the hotel 3 years ago and enjoyed it so we thought we would try again. We were not disappointed. The staff was great, the pool is nice, the food is good, the rooms are very nice and clean. Love the town and this hotel!

« Both ways on a long road trip »

We ended up staying here twice in 2 weeks on a road trip and were happy we did. We needed a dog/family friendly place and this hotel met our expectations. It was pricey, but we called ahead and the front desk gave us a lower rate both times than what was available online. The pool area is great and clean. The breakfast was adequate for our family and the downtown location is perfect. We would stay again.

    5
    « Great for a family stay »

We were pleasantly surprised by the family room we stayed in. It is very rare to find a hotel that fits our family comfortably in one room. We were so happy with our stay--we will definitely stay here again when driving through Wyoming. The spacious room had two queen beds and a bunk bed, and we still had room to spare using our inflatable queen mattress we had with us for camping (they may have had a roll-away, but we didn't ask)--we never felt crowded. We were upstairs from the pool but the room was very quiet. The beds were soft and the pillows were nice. Our kids enjoyed the skywalk when we went to dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, and with breakfast included in the price of the stay, it was a good value for us also. The hotel felt very clean and comfortable, and we felt welcomed by the staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

    5
« Pet Friendly, but Not Exactly »

This is a great hotel. We were driving back from our vacation in Montana. The hotel allows pets, but they have no designated area for the pets to "go potty". I called the front desk and asked and was told to just take my dog down the alley and pick up after her. I don't think the neighbors, who backyards were being used for the pets appreciate it too much. Other than no designated potty area for the animals the hotel is excellent with an excellent breakfast as well.

    « More than good... »

Strategically well located hotel. Value for great price. The pool leaves much to be desired, but rarely in these hotels it`s used. Decent choice for breakfast. Depending on where you get the room can be great, as uncomfortable. I stayed in a room in the building next to the Main. Reserved parking and access to a patio / garden. Because it`s only busy in the adjacent block there is a "Drive". (Take Away). Friendly staff, funny and helpful. Highly recommended.

    « Stay in Sheridan »

The hotel was large and well appointed. The bed was comfortable as was the room temperature with the high temperature outside. The staff was pleasant but did not go out of their way to help with questions regarding roads in the area or the fact that there was already someone in the room we were originally assigned. We had a good stay but the price seemed a bit high for the area.

« Road trippin' reserved on the fly »

The service was great, the room was clean, the pool was clean, and there was great free breakfast! My kids loved the pool, a much better experience than a hotel we stayed at in Rapid City, AND it was less expensive. Only down side was that the complimentary coffee in the room didn't come with lids to go!

    5
    « Nice for overnight »

Facility is in good shape and breakfast was great. Got in late and didn't get to use the pool, but the area was nice. Located just on the edge of downtown. Room was larger than normal. Nice lobby area.

« Nice exterior and lobby »

Don't bother, move on to second choice if you have one. A maze trying to locate room. Dirty carpeting, giant ugly stains, odors. Try locating the ice machine on the second floor after you have found your room. Good portion of building borderd by concrete so internet connection would not function with three different devices.

    « Western Summer Road Trip 2016 »

This hotel, although it looks old-school from the outside, is wonderfully clean and modern on the inside. Located in charming and quaint downtown Sheridan, the hotel is in close proximity to restaurants, bars, bakeries/coffee houses and shopping. Comfy beds, clean room and quiet, even in the peak of summer with lots of travelers. We needed a fido friendly hotel and they allow pets. Employees are friendly and helpful. The only negatives: parking can be challenging and there's no elevator.

    5
« Fantastic front desk staff. »

We have recently moved to the Sheridan area and needed a hotel for a few days until we found a house. I called the hotel and Amber answered the phone. She was pleasant to talk to and took my reservation for the room in a busy time for them. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Amber. She was again pleasant and helpful. She made sure we had a nice room for my family. Over out visit the majority of our run ins with the staff were with both Amber and Hannah, both of whom were always asking how the house hunting was going and how our stay was. They both were helpful not only with hotel stay but also knowledge of the town. When checking out this morning they even congratulated us on finding a place. Like any hotel there were little issues but between Amber and Hannah I feel these will be addressed. I am in the hotel industry and sometimes have higher expectations than others. These two met all the expectations and then some.

    « Nice Place »

We were in Sheridan for a wedding. The bar was where we all gathered the first night we were in town. It was nice that there was enough room for all of us to be together. The staff was awesome. The location is great right on Main Street. We were able to walk to the little shops and other businesses.

    4
    « I would stay here again »

Almost all rooms surround the pool area so it's loud until the pool closes. The air doesn't have a thermostat so it's either on or off. There is also no elevator so you'll have to carry your things upstairs. There are vending machines and guest laundry ($1.50 wash/dry). The breakfast buffet was the best I've ever seen come free with a stay. Eggs, ham, potatoes, pancakes, juice, etc. Also, they do have car charging stations. Overall, I would probably stay here again.

    « Ok but uncaring »

We made reservations in April, when we got there we were told no 1st floor rooms were available. We reserved with AARP rate. In our late 60's we had to drag bags upstairs because our rooms were given to a wedding party. Breakfast and hostess was very nice. Outside the uncaring staff and rooms given away, rooms were good.

This Best Western is a cute, western-themed hotel. It was clean, comfortable, and has large rooms. We had family also staying here, and their enormous room included a bunk bed. The kids spent tons of time in the pool, which looked clean and maintained well. Our stay included a full breakfast. Overall, we'd stay here again if passing through Sheridan ? this great little town won us over!

This is a best western at the heart of the town. It has a pool and bar. The layout is strange, they have several building spread over two city blocks. The room was adequate, it was pool side so it was loud until after ten. Hard to get the kids to bed on time. The staff at the event we attended were pleasant but disorganized. The main table was missing food, even after the back of the room was finished eating. The bar was nice and the staff we eager to satisfy. Even with the event discount it was over priced.

    « Bighorn 100 »

First visit to this location, and so glad we picked it! This was a vacation stay along with home base being I was running the Bighorn 100. It does look like an older location, but the upkeep is very good. With it being pretty much downtown, we were able to walk everywhere, that was so nice! The front desk helped us with a little mix up with the reservation and made it all work out so we wouldn't have to change rooms. The only thing that would of made it better, if we would of had a window view of the Bighorn Mountains, but it was still great!

« Comfortable, clean rooms but not quiet »

Rooms were clean and comfortable with plenty of parking. It is very popular with families and so not that quiet. Our room was near the pool so it was quite noisy while the pool was open, as popular with the kids. Good breakfast provided. Within walking distance of other restaurants and bars, although both available within the hotel complex.

« Great place to stay »

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Because we were Best Western Rewards members we each got a free drink in the bar. Since they have a restaurant at the hotel we ate there and the food was wonderful. I had the meatloaf and highly recommend it to anybody staying there who likes meatloaf. We would stay there again if we were in Sheridan.

    « Just a Perfect Stay »

If you get chance, stay at this Best Western hotel in Sheridan. The hotel is great value and Sheridan is a really interesting town. The room was very clean and well equipped. The Breakfast was one of the highlights. All together well worth a visit. The newly refurbished Sheridan Inn is worth visiting and the receptionist there will give you a guided tour if you ask. Also Kendrick Mansion, trails End is a must to see, and cheap to get in.

« Good place to stay »

This is a nice place to stay in Sheridan. The room had a fridge/freezer, comfortable beds and free Wi-Fi but no safe. The complimentary breakfast had a limited selection but did change each day. The staff were friendly and helpful during our 2 night stay.

    3
« Old and needs an update »

We stayed expecting this to be dated, but this was just old. The outside paint looked splashed on and the room window looked out on a garage which was falling apart. The bed was uncomfortable. too soft, and the room felt in need of a good scrub.

« Very comfy bed and super staff »

We stayed in Sheridan on our way from Yellowstone to Deadwood. Drive right to your door and park. Rooms are quiet and clean. Coffee pot right in the room. Pool and hot tub felt amazing after a long drive. Free breakfast buffet was good but the food was a little cold. This is a nice little town you can walk at night without being afraid. Right outside the Bighorn mountain range with beautiful scenery.

    5
    « Comfortable Beds »

we like the beds very comfortable; the breakfast buffet was really good - potatoes, eggs, bacon, waffles and all the other usual goodies; location was easy to find; hope to visit Sheridan again and stay at this Best Western

    « Very good »

We had a family room. We like Windows that you can open for fresh air. The bed was comfortable but in a big room we can't understand the wash basin being in the room. It was worth the stay just for the sausages at breakfast

« Hotel rooms located across the street »

GPS told us the hotel was on the right side of the street. When we approached the hotel, we saw the big Best Western sign on the building across the street, so we went and parked there. Turn out the Registration Office was on the right side of the street and the hotel rooms were on the left side of the street. The weather was a little warm and we made a mistake walking inside the glass tube overpass to get to the Registration Office. It was liked walking inside the oven. The hotel room is clean and comfy with free wifi. Paid breakfast served across the street, in the same building with the Registration Office.

    « Wonderful Historic Hotel »

Very clean, friendly service, great food and all around wonderful value. Location was perfect, in the middle of downtown Sheridan. There is a swimming pool - heated and indoors. This area includes a very nice hot tub. We used the laundry facility, buying laundry detergent from the front desk. Very convenient.

« Wow! Impressive staff and great breakfast »

Although it's an older BW the rooms were spacious and very clean. We were impressed with the staff and the breakfast was great. We ate off of china and used real silverware (most hotels have paper products and self service). The staff actually assisted and cleared away plates and enjoyed talking to guests. We were also given a free drink coupon upon check in (maybe because we're Best Western members) but we were pleasantly surprised with that. We had a meal there and the food was great too along with excellent service. The only draw back was that the property is split with units on each side of the road, if we wanted to use the pool we would drive over to it.

    3
    « A Bit Tired »

The room was clean and comfortable, but had no outside window, making it rather dark. The window looked onto an internal balcony, so curtains had to be kept closed for privacy. The air conditioning was very noisy, making it difficult to get off to sleep. On the positive side, breakfast was complimentary.

    3
« Used to be better »

This hotel located near the historic downtown of one of America's greatest western towns has started going down hill with its accommodations. Sadly the breakfast was once the highlight of the location and it has now only a mediocre buffet. The noise level between rooms and in the halls was higher than other hotels. The pool was all right but the jacuzzi/spa is inferior and deteriorating.

« Place to stay in Sheridan »

Great location for a trip to this wonderful area. Walk to all the local attractions. Staff was very friendly and efficient. We asked to a ground level room and had one opening to the back parking area, very handy. Large, clean room with all the extras you would need. Had a nice breakfast served by a wonderful lady who could have used some help as the dinning room was busy at the time. This was the best Best Western we have ever stayed!

    « Great location! »

Wonderful location. Walking distance to all of downtown shops and restaurants. Very clean rooms, friendly staff. Good breakfast too! We have stayed here a couple of times and have had good experiences there both times.

    « Don't leave your things »

First off, customers need to know that this property is not in one location. Check in is at one place, the pool another, etc. we got a room that was on another block- the backside of one that was creepy to boot. When we hauled our things up the stairs (all doors are exterior), we tried to get in and neither of our keys worked. So we hauled our stuff back downstairs, loaded back up the car. We saw a maid upstairs so went back up to try our key in hopes that the maid would let us in. Fortunately she did so we dropped our stuff off then went back over to get the keys fixed. After standing in line behind two angry customers whose rooms were not ready, I decided not to be upset at the workers and just get the keys recoded. We the. Went to dinner, did some looking around and came back to go to bed. Once again, our keys did not work so we went back over to the lobby for the third time. I was a little pissy at this point. It is a pain to drive back over!! Got them fixed and we actually got I. Our room this time!! When we walked in, we found two motel keys laying on the floor by the door. We thought that was weird but continued on in. We noticed the bed was messed up and that my phone charger had been taken out of my bag and was plugged into the wall by the bed. We then noticed another two motel keys under the window. A little freaked out, we tried all four keys and none of them worked so we were glad about that. As we continued on through the room, we noticed the toilet seat was up (it definitely was not up when we left) and the shower rug was in the floor damp. The shower was used and still dripping out of the shower head. We freaked at this point and called the front desk telling them to get us a new room. We were told they had none. I told them I would be down for a refund and we got the heck out of there! When we got to the desk, they did offer us a family room (only me and my son were there) but we took it anyway because I was afraid the refund would not work due to my experiences so far. When we got to that room the window would not lock so we used hangers to jam it so it would not open. We made it through the he night but we're darn happy to,get out of there!!!!

    « Good motel »

On the main street and only a couple of minutes from the interstate, with a few restaurants nearby. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower was powerful and free WiFi in the room. Breakfast is available although we did not try it. A good value overnight stop.

    « Excellent experience »

In all aspects of staying at the hotel, restaurant and bar it was a great and delightful period I spent there. I would entertain anyone that is going to spend time in Sheraton to stay at this hotel for all amenities.

    « Very nice hotel »

The hotel is relatively new and within walking distance of the downtown. Good bed and helpful staff. Very nice facility had has a reasonable breakfast. The property is on both sides of the road and has a unique walk way over the road to avoid the road.

    « Fun and Comfortable »

I have stayed here a lot for business, the lobby staff are great, and always willing to help. The indoor pool is great the Lounge has also been remodeled and the staff are very good. I always stay here when I am in town. They offer a good corporate rate, and discounts for frequent guests.

    « Mothers day trip »

The staff is very good and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is easy to find right in downtown Sheridan. There are several restaurants within walking distance. The price is a bit high.

    « Business Trip »

I took my wife along on this business trip as we like Sheridan very much. Have stayed at this hotel before and was happy with most everything. The only thing is the bedspread that can't be laundered between guests that is a little uncomfortable. Had dinner in the lounge and thought the music was extremely loud, even for a bar. We actually really like most music so wished they could turn it down a notch.

    « Just passing through »

this hotel was great. the staff were very accommodating. the restaurant was great for supper and the 50% off coupon for breakfast. The room was very comfy and I would gladly stay here again. I booked this through tripadvisor as I usually do when we are traveling.

« Ok place to stay in Sheridan, WY »

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, but some updating needed. Beds were very comfy. Did not like that a door led to outside as well as to the hallway. The hotel is broken up into different buildings on two sides of a street (connected by skywalk) but this made it difficult for our group to connect.

    1
« Asked for a quiet room got the loudest room imaginable. Shame on you Best western! »

Wow! That's pretty much all I can say as I lie here listening to seine run around upstairs and people talking outside. Usually I ask for a quiet room And the hotel gives me one. This time it's almost the loudest room I could possibly get! Happy mothers Day to me I guess.

    3
    « Comfortable »

Clean and comfortable. The rooms are across the street from the lobby and restaurant, so negotiating a busy street or use of the third floor skyway (without elevator) is required. Street noise was a bit of a problem.

« Great hotel close to downtown »

This is a nice hotel located near downtown Sheridan. It has a terrific bar/lounge are and the rooms are nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it. Cheeseburgers were amazing!

    « Really, really a nice stay. »

Decent pillows and lots of them! Access from inside and outside! BIG bed. Nice TV. Okay it's not a new place, but they are renovating and the office and restaurant - both of which are across the street - are lovely. Free breakfast was apparently discontinued April 1st, but we did receive a voucher for breakfast in the restaurant and although it was limited to certain items, two eggs, sausage, hash browns and toast plus a beverage, cooked to order for free? That doesn't happen everyday. Parking lot was a wee bit squishy on the older side, but doable. Well worth a visit.

    5
    « Great new bar!! »

A group of us went to the newly renovated bar at the Best Western Sheridan Center on Friday April 30 - it was great and obviously very popular with both locals and visitors. Real good drinks, the usual good beers on tap, nice selection of appetizers, great waitresses... all-in-all top notch.

    « Horrible experience »

upon arrival the heater in the room was turned up to its fullest setting resulting in a very hot uncomfortable room, there was a strong smell of Drywall dust that was on the heating elements. I turned the unit to full cool to cool the room and left for dinner hopeing that he smell would go away. when i arrived at the hotels restaurant the waitress was rude and did not seem to want to serve me so i left and went to a restaurant down the street. i came back a few hours later to find that the room was still very hot and that the cooling unit was still putting out a lot of dust and heat. i turned the unit off opened the doors and window to cool the room. i was unable to sleep due to the heat so i called and requested a different room. the lady was also rude to me and told me that i should have gotten a different room when i first arrived and that she could not move me to a different room as i had stayed in that one for several hours. The following morning when i took a shower found that the washcloth had red stains on it. there was excessive amount of hair on the inside of the shower curtain as if it had not been cleaned in some time. the bath towel had a smell of dry wall dust on it also...I had to drip dry as i was unable to use the towels due to the smell of dry wall dust. This was a very unpleasant stay at your facility. I will not be using this hotel and I will avoid using the BW chain from now on.

« Overall good made a few changes I did not like »

This is where we stay anytime we come to Sheridan for the most part. It is always great service. However I do not like that they changed the breakfast to a paying breakfast. They upped the rates and took more away :(

« Excellent for sleeping and meetings!! »

Hosted two days of business seminars at this hotel. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Delicious breakfast. My only suggestion is brighter lighting in the meeting room, which an easy fix. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 as the highest, this meeting staff receives a 12. Despite being very tired when arriving Tuesday evening, I observed that the hotel had sleeping rooms on both sides of the streets. Consequently, common sense led me to leave my luggage in the car when checking-in. Then easily drove across the street and carried in the luggage. This hotel also borders a wonderful run/walk trail along the river and/or to a nearby park.

« Under staffed and over priced »

The night staff was non-existent to answer the phone for noise complaints. My husband and I were put under a noisy family with children when there were plenty of obviously empty rooms around the hotel. The attached restaurant was very expensive, terrible salty food, items were left off my take out order and not refunded and again, under staffed in the morning. After complaining to the morning desk staff, I was given excuses for the night staff and no discount for our awful night.

    « Decent »

BEFORE you unload your things from the car check with reception and see if your room is across the street. We made this mistake and had to carry everything up and down the stairs over the skyway, its a long distance. Room 164 has king bed and is small but comfortable. The linens were all great and an extra towel and blanket are provided without requesting it, I wish all hotels would do this. Thank you. We usually skip the breakfast in the morning but today we had time so off we went. Arrived at the restaurant and all the tables for breakfast were dirty (I think only one waitress). Another couple were in front of us (please wait to be seated). they got tired of waiting and went in and sat at a dirty table. We waited another 5 minutes and decided to leave and have breakfast down the road.

« Nice Hotel---Poor Customer Service and Staff »

Great hotel---staff not real knowledgeable on rates for frequent travelers. Did not receive a wake-up call for an early flight and check out staff had little concern. Was told by a large Billings company to stay at this hotel and ask for a rate offered to their clients. Check-in staff had little to no knowledge of this and made no effort to find out. Embarrassing.

« I felt nervous to sleep & uncomfortable worst nights sleep »

We had a chain lock that was put on backwards so anyone trying to break in, it would of just unlocked as they pushed the door open & that was there only privacy lock. We had a big window that was very thin & worried me because the rooms were on the outside of the main hotel & I felt like I was in a motel but for $100 a night I shouldn't of felt like that. We ended up pushing the big chair that was in there in front of the door & between the door & dresser hoping that would keep anyone out since our door locks didn't work. But it was 1am when we finally got into our room so we were exhausted & didn't have time to call for help. I was so anxious there with all the issues that I didn't fall asleep til after 3am & was up by 8am & tried to make breakfast but it was over at 9 so we missed it. My husband & 3 little kids & I were very disappointed & hungry & with that price deserved a complimentary breakfast but instead had to buy it down the road. Would never stay here again.

Love the breakfast choices and fresh ordered breakfasts. Rooms tend to be a bit noisy because walls are not sound proof. Excellent pool area. Parking is good. Location downtown is helpful. Sheridan is my favorite western town.

« Christmas party at the Best Western »

I wrote a review a while back about our company Christmas party at the Best Western which stated that things came up missing while our belongings were in the banquet room after our party. I would like to say thank you to the staff at the Best Western for finding some of the missing items and replacing the items that could not be found. They took the time to make the situation right. Thank you!

    « Excellent Staff »

My husband and I stayed here overnight, as we were attending an event in Sheridan. At first we were unsure what to think because it's not the most appealing property from the outside. However, once we got in the lobby, the staff turned that around. I have a bit of a walking disability and when I booked, I reserved an ADA room. While that's what we initially received, it still did not have a shower chair, which I needed. We returned to the lobby to see what could be done and Rhianna and the evening maintenance man (unfortunately, I cannot recall his name but he stated that he's been with the property for many years) jumped into action. The maintenance man and my husband went room-to-room until the perfect room was found. As soon as our room was found, Rhianna had new keys made up and we were on our way. They went above and beyond. In addition to that, if you're a Best Western Rewards member, you receive one free drink at their bar. That was a nice touch, because it was needed after a bit of a boring night drive through Wyoming. When we're back in Sheridan, we will definitely stay here again. The room was spotless, the bathroom was spotless, and the shower was hot with great pressure. Only drawback (if you want to call it that) is that the flat screen TV was not HD. I can overlook that.

    « Worst Service »

Don't recommend eating at the restaurant in the evening because we had the worst service. It wasn't very busy. The waitress never brought us water and never checked to see if our drinks needed to be re-filled. There was people waiting and no one to seat them for about 20 min. We waited for about 20 min after we were done eating to get our check and then had to wait an additional 15 min just for the waitress to come back and take our payment! When our food was served my potatoes were cold.

Very nice hotel and very reasonably priced. The room was clean, beds were comfy and the free breakfast was tasty and made to order. After paying over $100 for a room in a different city on our trip it was nice to have a room that I felt comfortable in, didn't stink, and was very inviting.

« Overnight in Sheridan heading south »

We have stayed overnight in Sheridan WY many times over the years while heading south to visit our son in Colorado. This time we chose the Best Western Sheridan Center?'great off season rates' the first of November, and pet friendly, too as we were travelling with our small dog. We have stayed at the Sheridan Center several times in the past. They have kept up this Best Western very well, renovated rooms, good selection full scale breakfast included, WiFi, easy walking to several bars and restaurants quite close by. We enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was very good in the morning. A dependably well run establishment in Sheridan. Recommend it!

« GREAT PLACE GREAT BREAKFAST »

We stopped here on our way south for the winter. After an 8 hour drive this place was right on. The hotel itself looks like it is on about 4 city blocks. Some rooms are across main st and some to the south of the main building. This was our first time here and I pulled into the parking lot from the lobby but they have a walkway over the street which is a nice touch. Arriving at the lobby I was greeted with a smile and checked in very easy. Our room was on the lower level where I parked my van. I backed right to the door unloaded. Room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I can only say great things about the breakfast you have 5 items to choose from the in room menu...pancakes, eggs Toast....sit down hot from the kitchen . The servers were excellent and helpful. Check out was as easy as check in....This is on our list of places to stay again. Our dog Suzie even had a great sleep...

We stayed here one night and it was nice. Room was clean, nothing fancy but we were just passing through. We staying in room 231 and it was pretty quiet. « Great stay! »

Nice room, friendly staff, great dinner and a selection of good included breakfast choices the next morning. I've stayed here before when passing through the area and the stay has always a pleasant one. I booked directly with the hotel instead of the national website. A bit unique in that a large portion of the rooms are across the street from the office, restaurant and bar, but they have a skywalk to protect you from the traffic and elements.

« Excellent pet friendly hotel »

Great accommodation for travelling with pets. Excellent value for the price. We only stayed one night but it was the best hotel that we stayed in during our four night road trip. The only thing that could use some improvement was the breakfast.

    « Western Hospitality »

A well kept older motel with great western décor was a warm winter overnight on a long journey. Though the lounge was being redone and it was the "off season" the staff was on their toes. We had a nice drink and dinner in the lounge/restaurant. The food was excellent and the bartender/waiter did all he could to meet our special requests and was both pleasant and efficient. The morning breakfast and waitress were just as excellent. In the center of town it would be a great convenient location for visitors to the area.

« Nice surprise....great burgers at the restaurant »

    « Very average! »

Other rooms in this hotel may be OK, but our two rooms were across the street from the lobby and breakfast room. We did appreciate that our rooms did have security access and not on the parking lot side. However, the hallway which our one window faced was dark and we felt like we were in a basement. The breakfast was just OK.

    « Weekend nightmare »

We stayed at this motel Thursday through Sunday. The facility is older but well maintained. The staff is friendly. The location near downtown makes many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The weekend nights were A NIGHTMARE. The swimming pool is 40 ft from our room, down open hallways. Last night there was a community college sports team yelling & screaming in the pool until after 11 pm, while the coaches sat around drinking beer. Tonight families with many young children are in the pool running & screaming. We spoke with the front desk - walking across Main Street because she would not answer the phone, at 10 pm to see if the pool would get closed on time tonight. Guess we'll see if that happens. Will not stay here again. Would NOT it recommend it to others unless they have children they allow to disturb the peace after 10 pm. I have no idea why 2 adults were given a room so close to the indoor pool and with only handicap parking near by, that was not required. Bad choice for us all around. With the lobby&desk across the street, the person on duty has NO IDEA what is going on at the pool or the hallways of the motel. A questionable setup.

    « Birthday day getaway »

The breakfast at this hotel is amazing. The room was very nice and clean. Check in was not very informative of things going on in the hotel. Hotel layout is very confusing. You check in on one side of the hotel and your room could be in 4 different locations around the block of the hotel. overall it was a good experience

    3
    « Decent hotel »

This hotel was average. The room was large but, while it was a non-smoking room, it still had a slight smoky odor. The pool was nice and the hot tub enjoyable. The free breakfast is one of the better hotel breakfasts that I have had. The hotel is actually quite large, but it is several different buildings and navigating it can be a bit challenging, especially if you have mobility challenges.

    5
    « Very Pleasant »

Our stay was very pleasant. Room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Downside is that our room was across the street from main office/restaurant. Pool was a bit chilly but it was the end of December when we visited. We had a nice, relaxing experience and would stay again.

    « Serious Issues This Visit :( »

We really enjoy staying at this property but had a string of problems - unfortunately not neccesarily the fault of the property. We requested a room close to the pool and enjoyed a refreshing swim and soak in the hot tub and didn't have to venture outside in the sub zero weather. An ignoramus family of 6-7 decided to take over the pool and hot tub and hold it hostage from 10 - 11:15 pm. Running, screaming and being plain ignorant, the pool closes at 10 pm and is clearly posted. We called the front desk at 10:50, figuring they were not going to leave in a hurry unless prompted, but we were advised they couldn't do anything until maintenance came in @ 11 pm as the lady was unable to leave the front desk. The remote and/or TV was not working properly - we managed to figure out a "work around" but we were pretty much stuck watching the one program as the remote would not switch the channels. We called about this and again told maintenance not in until 11 pm./ In the morning the toilet backed up and overflowed so we had to use the rest rooms by the pool area and take showers in a swampy floor condition. We turned off the water flow to the toilet, but the damage was already done. We did express the issues to the manager, Ms. Lacy. She was somewhat unsympathetic in my opinion. We will consider this property in the future, but hope for a much better experience.

« Would definitely stay here again »

We stayed here for NYE 2016 and had the best time. We enjoyed the band in the conference room, drink prices were very reasonable, and the complimentary champagne at midnight was a nice touch! Thanks for a beautiful memory. Only missed room service.

    « Quiet and clean »

This Best Western is a cut above the rest. Our room was spotless, a nice size, and a comfortable temperature when we walked in. There was plenty of space for all our luggage and extras. I like that the sink is separate from the shower/bathroom. My only disappointment with the room was that the water didn't get hot; it was definitely warm enough to shower, but not something you could stay in long enough to warm up on a cold night. The breakfast area is quaint. Our server was quite nice and the food was cooked promptly. They offer standard breakfast options which is included with your stay. We've stayed here multiple times because the price is so great for the room and the fact that a hot breakfast is included seals the deal. Really a bang for your buck. We'll definitely be back on our next road trip.

« Great value for the price »

Stayed here one night with my wife on Dec. 27, 2015. Excellent value for the room. The $67 + tax included a large king size bed (super comfortable) and a large quiet non-smoking room with an oversize bathtub. The price included a full size breakfast in the restaurant in the hotel. Very nice. The TV remote was not working. We called the front desk, but the tech person could not come until the next day. Would recommend this place at this price to anyone. Summer prices are much higher, but this winter rate is a bargain.

    3
    « Adequate »

We traveled with two dogs and chose this hotel as it rated well for pet friendly accommodations. Our room was on the back side of the building across the street from the main hotel. We had an exterior entrance that was handy for bringing the dogs in and out and for loading and unloading all our stuff. The room itself was okay - rather dated, but the bed was comfortable. Not a lot of floor space, but our dogs were smaller, so they had enough room. Bathroom could have been better - small sink area with little counter space due to coffee maker and coffee, ice bucket and cups all stored next to the sink. Hot water in the shower was warm at best, and barely warm by the end of the second person's shower. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant wasn't bad, but our order got messed up and took twice as long as it should have. But since it was included with the room, I can't complain much about that. Overall, it's an okay place if you're traveling with pets, but I probably wouldn't stay there otherwise.

    « Excellent experience »

Fantastic experience. Far better than I expected since the star rating was 2.5. Far better than most 3 star hotels I've stayed at in the last year. Great décor, very clean, complimentary breakfast in a real restaurant, made to order.

Items were stolen from our party when we booked this hotel for our Annual Christmas party. We were told the items would be locked in a room and we could get them in the morning. No compensation has been offered by the staff.

« Personal belongings stolen from banquet room »

We had our company Christmas party at this hotel and we were assured that our belongings would be locked in the room until the next morning when we could go back in and clean the room. We found several items missing when only staff had access to the banquet room after we left the party. The hotel was very accommodating to our needs with planning the Christmas party, the rooms we reserved were very clean and comfortable, the banquet room was very nice, the dinner was very good, and breakfast the next morning was very good. The experience was great until we discovered that we were missing five items that were locked in the room. Because of this my rating for this hotel went from five stars to 1 star. If you cant trust the hotel staff, then I do not believe the stay is worth it. Unless the incident that happened is made right I will not plan another event with this hotel! Very disappointed.

    « Not much quiet »

Room had an outdated, outdoor entrance and I could hear traffic on the main street all night. Also, cars leaving from 5 am on. Maid started tapping on doors around 7:30 am and shouting "Housekeeping!" and could be heard clear down the hall. Not going to be my first choice to stay in Sheridan. Great location for walking to nightlife and great breakfast but that's it.

    « Love Best Westerns »

We decided we get the best service, and best breakfast at Best Western hotels. We have the Rewards Card and will try to stay at BW hotels from now on. We wish the dog fees weren't so high ($25). We have a Maltese who is trained to sleep in a crate and doesn't shed. We think $10 is sufficient.

    « Best Western Sheridan »

Great experience. The hotel is centrally located in historic Sheridan. You are in walking distance to shopping and all the events Sheridan has to offer. The staff were helpful and the rooms were great surprisingly quiet.. Best sleep I have had in a long time. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff were very accommodating.

« Room great, Breakfast not. »

The stay was great. Room was clean and price was great for service. No complaints about the room. The only complaint would be about the breakfast service. At first, it looks great. Good selection of food items to order. We had to wait about 10 minutes before we were greeted and offered a table. We were at our table for 10 minutes before we were offered drinks. Another 10 minutes before we got to order. Then, our food came out wrong. and COLD. We sent back one plate to be re-heated, but had to ask for it back after not receiving it again. Thankfully, we were comped for the additional non- complimentary orders we had placed.

I have stayed at this particular Best Western hotel many times. I always book the family room at this hotel. In order to book the family room you must call the hotel directly, so this is what I did. When I arrived at the hotel they had me in a King room. Now why on earth these individuals would think that 6 guests could stay in a room with one bed is beyond me. Needless to say the female that checked me in could have cared less. I had to make the suggestion to find me a different room that would fit us all OR give me two rooms for their mistake. Obviously they did not give me two rooms that would be going above and beyond for customer service.

« Satisfactory for a stop along the road »

Convenient location for those arriving late in the evening. The room was just what one might expect from a Best Western that is obviously very popular in this area. Could use a light reno to match the effort of staff to keep it clean and tidy. Breakfast was ok for those who are just hitting the road.

    « Is going downhill »

Stayed at this hotel in March of this year and things were great. So when I had a business trip planned I book this hotel again. I cant believe how disappointed I was. When we were trying to book our room, it took calling 5 times to get someone to answer. The restaurant quality is terrible. The food was horrible. They switched from a breakfast buffet to having to order a specific meal. It took 45 minutes to get our breakfast and then it wasn't good. Go back to the buffet people!!! My heater in the room didn't work well so it was cold. The checkout process was horrible. I needed a receipt and went to check out at 11am and the front desk person wasn't there. I tracked a person down and they said that she was probably out "checking rooms". 25 minutes later I was able to get my receipt. That is just ridiculous. Next time I will definitely stay at the holiday inn.

Great venue for conferences and meetings with ample room for just about any size event. Comfortable rooms with just the right amount of amenities. Awesome Breakfast with large portions made to order. Dinner has a great selection that will satisfy everyone's tastes.

Friendly staff in a nice hotel. The rooms show traces of tear and wear, but are clean and good. Pool is nice and clean. Good, continental breakfast with real cutlery. Good place to stay on a road trip.

    « Good location »

The hotel has an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, spa, restaurant and bar/lounge we did not use these facilities so I can't comment on them. Rooms are comfortable with free wi-fi, fridge, coffee machine, iron and ironing board, TV and hairdryer. Bathroom has soap, mini conditioner and body lotion. Breakfast was OK with cereals, scrambled egg, potatoes, ham, bread, pastries, mixed fruit, yoghurt, juice, tea and coffee. If you go out of the hotel and turn right, cross the bridge you will be in the main town. We went to an excellent restaurnat there called the Wyoming Cattle & Creek Co.

We generally stay at Best Western in Sheridan when ever in the area because, it is very clean, has good parking, a decent breakfast and the nicest and most helpful staff of any place we stay. This makes for the most pleasant of stays.

« Comfort with great service »

We stay here whenever we're in Sheridan. We like the close location to downtown, as well as the clean, spacious rooms. The beds are always comfortable. Included with the room is a breakfast in the hotel cafe. This is an average breakfast. The coffee definitely needs some work. Overall, this location is a great value.

Stayed for one night - while on a National Parks Tour. Although a good location - and staff at hotel very friendly and helpful. Food/Breakfast - very basic. Plenty of places to eat in the area - and a fair amount to see. Nice clean town. Recommend for a one night stopover.

« Very friendly and efficient »

Traveling is rewarding scenery but when you stop at a hotel most hotels just assign your room and they are done with you NOT HERE. We were met with friendly faces, very helpful staff. Really cared if you were satisfied. I would go out of my way to stop there again

« Unusual; but unexpectedly nice »

The lobby and restaurant of this motel is across the street from the rooms. There's a covered skywalk; but it's poorly ventilated and has warning signs about the heat. Or you can just walk across the street. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, with paintings and wooden furniture. Parking is convenient; right outside your door (if you're on the ground floor). We didn't take advantage of it; but If you're a member of the BW rewards program, you also get a couple coupons for drinks in their lounge. But the nicest thing about this BW is their breakfast. Not just the scrambled eggs, sausages, fried potatoes, fresh fruit, and the usual breakfast drinks; all of which were good; but the hustle, efficiency, and pleasantness of the dining room workers. Most people leave after breakfast; so having the high standards of service by these workers lets you leave with a smile. I highly recommend this motel.

We arrived late and were tired and hungry. The front desk staff person was helpful and friendly. We ate in the bar and had some of the best and most welcoming wait staff we've encountered while traveling. The food was quick to arrive and very tasty! Our room was fairly small, but clean and comfortable ... everything you need for a good nights rest after a long day of driving. Even though we were on the ground level on the main drag in town, it was very quiet. Lastly, the breakfast that that was included was a simple buffet, including scrambled eggs (which were hot!), a waffle maker (delicious) and thick-cut bacon (ate way too much) was a great way to end our brief stay and start another long day of driving. Good job Best Western!!

Stayed at BW in Sheridan WY and Deadwood SD. Good clean rooms with great breakfasts. No elevator in Deadwood for anyone needing it if on 2nd floor . buy overall great staff and the restaurant in Deadwood is the best breakfast in town! Sports Bar in Sheridan was fun with lots of TV's and great bar staff.

« Good City Centre Option »

We stayed at the Best Western Sheridan Center for 1-night in early Oct ($81). Located on Main St in the middle of downtown, the hotel has a strange layout. The main building houses the lobby, restaurant and bar, while all of the rooms are in three separate 2-story motel units, one located across Main St (linked by an overhead walkway) and the other two across the side street. Our 2nd floor king room was in one of the smaller side buildings, tucked into a corner at an ?L? curve. As such, it was dark, with the only light coming from a window inside the ?L.? The room was a bit small, furnished with a comfortable bed, 2 end tables, chest of drawers that housed the mini-fridge and TV on top, a small table with 2 chairs, and a closet with an adjacent vanity and sink. No desk, though, which made writing reviews a bit cramped. The bathroom was typical, small and with a bath/shower. There was a grassy area with picnic tables out front, and one of the other buildings houses an indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast was good: scrambled eggs, ham, hash browns, yogurt, waffles, apples and oranges, and juices; no take out coffee, though. Because the hotel is located in the centre of town, it is an easy walk to a number of restaurants and bars. You should definitely check out the Sanford Bar, an eclectic place packed with almost everything imaginable ? old licence plates, sports memorabilia, canoes, tricycles ? and a good selection of craft brews. Also, the Blacktooth Brewing Company is a few blocks away ? great selection of craft beer brewed on-site but it is for the beer drinker only ? no wine. There is a liquor outlet next door to the hotel. The Sheridan Center offers reasonable value for a somewhat high off-season rate. Recommended if you get a good rate.

    « Nice hotel downtown »

Clean comfortable rooms with ample space but no elevator, however hotel staff helped lug the luggage up to our second floor room. There was a nice indoor pool that was great to cool off in, and a big hot tub. The hotel is on both sides of the street, linked by an overhead passageway. Breakfast good here.

« Terrific Hotel in Sheridan, WY »

Best Western at Sheridan, Wyoming, is a delight in this barren part of Wyoming. Excellent accommodations, ample space in the room, and inviting pool made for a 2-night restful experience. I'll consider staying again if I'm on I-90.

The staff was friendly and this was an average hotel, but more of a motel style. The room was ok, just average but clean. It was within walking distance to the Black Tooth Brewery, which was awesome! This hotel is a good recommendation if you are on a tied budget and location is a priority.

« Dated but not worn, but even so ... »

The rooms are small but (a little cramped) clean and fresh. The bed was a little short (I'm 6'4"). I missed the 'hospitality tray', didn't see one. There were 'in room' rags for motorcycles, which I appreciated as mine was pretty dirty. The shower was good, lots of hot water. There were music channels so we had something to fill the silence. I could park the bike in front of the room. There are two entrances, one from the parking lot and the other from the inside hallway. The place is 'downtown' so the early evening is spattered with some noise, thump stereos, kids on their 'go fast' MC's cruising the main drag. But this all quiets down and was not a problem for a good night sleep. This is a nice place. It is dated, but well attended too. The staff were very accommodating and due credit to the facility. However ... it does not work for us on several levels ... 1. No elevator 2. The rooms we were in, there are a lot of these, are across the (main) street from the check in desk. Really? 3. My knee don't accommodate the 3 flights of rather steep stairs (3 up and 3 down) to the 'sky-way' that goes over the street (and to the 2nd floor). So ... if we needed anything from the office we either had to dash across the main street, or the staff did if we ask them for something (saw them do it). 4. The cement barriers, in the middle of the main street, don't line up that well with places you want to go. 5. The 'restaurant', attached to the office building, is pretty over priced. There is a DQ right next to the place that a lot of folks seem to like ... we're one of them. During the evening the main street isn't that bad crossing. 6. The hot tub looks to be an in home type ... not something that is easy to get in and out of - we passed on this. The pool was good though I don't understand the rooms along side the pool. Seems this would be a little noisy at times? If you do get a room on the same side of the street as the office ... the pool will be on the other side of the street. The staff got an extra 'dot' for the place ... and ... of course ... the MC rags.

« In need of an update »

We stayed here one night in September and the hotel was just fine but it is starting to show its age and needs to have some updating. The carpets are worn and dusty, the shower is showing signs of age and everything just feels like it could use a good clean. I know that the rooms are clean but it is simply that this hotel gets a lot of use and it is showing it. With a little investment and upgrades this could be a nice place to stay and it does have the best location near the centre of Sheridan

Getting to the hotel ...

All directions
·From: Interstate 90 Take Exit 23, to downtown Sheridan. Turn left on Main Street, hotel is two blocks down on right hand side of street is the BEST WESTERN Sheridan Center.
