Best Western Plus Shamrock Inn & Suites

I travel a lot and usually stay at Best Western. This property was not my favorite. I had issues with the AC in the first room I was placed. Was moved to another and although the AC worked, it looked damaged. The LED lighting was like a strobe light. The desk chair had issues. The weight machine in the gym was damaged. On a good note, it was the best breakfast I have had at a Best Western. Made to order eggs!!! Need I say more. Staff was friendly like always. Just hope they are able to fix the damaged equipment.

The ladies working were so kind & considerate! I was in town for a funeral & they were so kind and accommodating for everything I forgot! Treated us just like family! Will stay here every trip now. Thank you!

I thought this place was a great value. It was clean and comfortable. We got a suite, and the room was huge. It even had a kitchen and a hot tub. The personnel were helpful and friendly. I appreciated the presence and work ethic of the handyman. The breakfast was made to order eggs, and lots of options to choose from. Would return here again when passing through the area.

A very Merry Christmas..... Linehan Family Christmas night in Shamrock, Texas. Best Western Shamrock had "room in the stable". It was heaven....Crystal clear pool.....Hot Tub that was hot, and two Angels at the desk at 5pm on Christmas night! Comfy beds, clean rooms, yummy continental breakfast that got us 10 hours down I-10. Yummy Pizza and Yummy Wings with Ranch Dressing at CEFCO gas station - We kid you not! I was very tired after traveling all day and more or less found this Best Western motel by coincidence. I stopped for fuel, saw the Motel and stopped in. The lady behind the desk was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. A great way to begin my visit to Shamrock TX. So much so that I spent 2 nights.

From not being able to get door open without body slamming it, to having someone try to get in our room, to discovering in the morning that the striker was not even on the door and if we hadn't had the extra lever lock slid across the door the night before, the man who tried to get in probably would have gotten in because we couldn't get the door to shut all the way the next morning so it probably wasn't shut all the way the night before, to finding a dead bug in the bathroom, and something sticky on the bathtub, to low water pressure, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

This particular Best Western is superior. It is well managed, has a welcome feel, and the staff are considerate of travelers' need for a REAL breakfast before hitting the road once again. In addition, another neighbor gets employment. Kudos!

We were passing through and needed a place to stay. The staff was helpful and there was a definite pride of ownership. There were signs of wear, but nothing which diminished the stay. We would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed at this hotel a couple times and it always delivers. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic. They had eggs made to order along with crispy bacon and hashbrowns. I was very impressed with that. Location is right off I-40 so its easy to get to. If I'm ever in Shamrock again, this will be my go to hotel.

On a positive note, the made to order eggs and the rest of the breakfast was great! Otherwise, our stay wasn't so great. The bathroom was dirty with lots of chipped paint. There was a long black hair in the bath tub. The shower head and tub control was corroded and didn't work well. Poor tile repair of the bathroom floor. The carpet needed vacuumed. (I found a crayon on the floor next to the bed.). The towels were very thin. It was quiet and not many people there. The Kleenex box was empty in the bathroom, and the ice machine on our floor didn't work. There aren't many places to stay between Amarillo and Oklahoma City, which is why we stayed here. We should have kept driving.

We've stayed here a year ago and came back because of a good experience then, good this year as well. We did have to ask for a room change because of a noisy air conditioner and a key card problem I believe. But the desk clerk was very responsive and cheerful about helping us with that. No road noise, good beds, AC worked well, and very good hot breakfast. Actual the lady cooking eggs was another big reason we returned. She is very helpful.

Great location, clean, comfortable beds, good breakfast and then is full of Route 66 things to see. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only negative was restaurants are closed on Sundays except McDonalds and Taco Bell.

Great location (just off the interstate) , good value for low cost, dog friendly, good breakfast with plenty of options (includingcooked to order eggs), and friendly staff. While in need of updating, everything appears to be clean.

This pet friendly hotel is clean, has a friendly staff and serves a nice hot made to order breakfast. Nice to see people care about their guest's experience. We were traveling with our 2 small dogs and we found everyone working there helpful and very accommodating. The only issue we had was our pups would hear everything in the halls but we shrugged that off as being in a foreign place.

the place was very neat and clean,, the breakfast was plentiful,, made or order eggs,, bacon, hash browns,, pretty much anything you could want,, staff pleasant ,a beautiful pool, Not much for the area resturants on a sunday, but a few fast foods near by

Room was not cleaned upon arrival. Desk clerk didn't realize the rooms were still being cleaned. Had to ask for towels and toilet paper. No regular coffee pods available. No on site parking if you're pulling a trailer. No hand soap available. Breakfast was the best thing about our stay. Would not stay here again.

we drove an extra half hour to get to this "pet friendly" hotel. We were put on 3rd floor which is horrible if you have a pet. Then we had to sign an "extra" pet agreement saying we would pay $30 for a towel, plus a bunch of other fees if our pet made a mess. Our springer is 11 years old and very well behaved so it was an insult. We don't stay at hotels that charge exorbitant fees for pets because our pet is our child. I approached the staff about this unexpected "agreement" and they told me I was being rude. Also, maid said they were out of soap so I had to go to front desk to ask for a bar of soap. Bathroom door wouldn't latch. Not the cleanest either. Just a total disappointment. Will never stay there again.

Good Best Western - clean, nice bed with plenty of pillows, good breakfast choices (not that I necessarily made good choices - hahaha), and reliable internet. There's a good steakhouse nearby if you want some good 'ol Texas cooking!

I've stayed at many BW+ hotels, and this is the worst. Holes in the walls, rusted tub “painted” over, sticky carpet. It was fine for one night, but I wouldn't return. Woman making eggs to order was the best thing about this place. The BW+ chain should be ashamed of this one.

Great places to stay on your trips. Clean neat easy to get to most are close to interstates, Pools are very nice and Breakfast are always great. Quick check in and check out is very easy. Parking at most BW have video cameras on the parking lots.

This motel is just off the Interstate and across the bridge from downtown. There's a small reception area and a larger breakfast area. We had a lower floor king room. The mattress was firm but not rock hard. We asked for a place to eat and were told the Mesquite Canyon steak house; unfortunately, we weren't told that everything in Shamrock, on Sunday, is closed, with the exception of MacDonald's. So we had a big Mac. Poor substitute for a steak. Morning came and we were greeted with an offer to cook eggs to order. Wow! Most of the time, it's powdered scrambled eggs. The breads were wrapped in paper, both to preserve moistness and add cleanliness. Nice touch! The hostess was involved with the guests and we enjoyed that. Not likely that we'll stay in Shamrock again, but the Best Western will be our choice if we do.

I was amazed at how quiet my room was even though the hotel is situated close to a highway. there is also a beautiful indoor pool. The Hotel offers made to order eggs or omelettes. Nice hot breakfast was just what I needed to fuel me on my road trip to Nashville.

OK it's not freshly decorated but the BW Shamrock fulfils all that you would expect of a Hotel along the Route 66 Freeway. In fact the only let down to the Hotel is that Shamrock seems to be quite run down, and it's the town that lets the Hotel down. There are so many places that have shut down that getting good meal is difficult, especially on a Sunday night. Otherwise all was as expected, the staff were excellent, and we had a good stay.

This is one of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed in. Large rooms, clean as can be, location is right off the interstate, people at the desk were very nice. We have stayed here more than once, and will stay again in the future. One caution: There are few restaurants in Shamrock, TX. Best to know this in advance.

The hotel was a little rough. Furniture, bathroom, sheets, beds. Just worn out. I bet it was a happening place in the late 1990's. The pool was FREEZING and the hot tub didn't seem on. Even though it was 110 degrees that day, the pool was too cold. The breakfast was EXCELLENT. Biscuits and Gravy, waffles, egg bar, etc. It was really good. The help was very friendly and accommodating. They just didn't have much to work with with the facility.

The first room we were in on the second floor smelled so bad we immediately changed room to a third floor room. Had to wipe down the entire room. It was nasty. There was a long black hair on one of the pillows in the bed and a long black hair in the bathroom sink. There is a wet sticky spot on the carpet in front of the desk that did not change over the tow night stay. All the surfaces were dirty. We know because we wiped down everything in the room with white towels and disinfectant soap. I would not allow my Mother to stay in a room like this and doubt you would be comfortable with one of your family members sleeping in this filth.

Good hotel off the beaten trail or a stay-over. It was clean, staff was friendly, and the continental breakfast was quick and good. Our room carpet look dirty and the bed sheets were a bit worn and rough, and the freezer in the fridge was not working properly. Over all, I stilI would give it a B+.

We paid extra for a suite, which was a larger room. However, the furniture (bench and couch) needed to be replaced. Fabric on couch was worn, and bench too wobbly to sit on. We would have used the pool, but the water was cloudy. Probably needed chlorine. We were just passing thru... not looking for luxury at this economical price. But please replace the old furniture and service the pool...

Stayed here in 2018. Knew this would be the place to stay again this year. Great stay all the way around. Best Western is my hotel of choice when I am traveling. Great staff, rooms and you can't beat the full breakfast.

Hotel room furniture was a bit outdated, but clean. Staff were very friendly. Shamrock is a small town many stores and restaurants were closed. No one escaped Covid pandemic. Grounds were unkept and trash cans surrounding the building were full. Clearly staffing has been a problem. Again, because we're still coming out of Covid, I'm not surprised. Highlight was made to order breakfast. Rare these days but welcomed perk.

We stayed at four different hotels during our recent travels and the Best Western Plus was the best and very nice. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was pleasant, professional, and helpful.

The room and lobby area was clean. They have a small parking lot which I found strange. Soft bath towels. Poor internet connection. Okay stay for one night on our way east. Best Western hotel quality varies quite a bit as you travel around the country. Never real sure what you will get.

Lady checking us in was nice, but what was odd there was a guy sitting at the desk eating and two kids were there as well. Stayed here before but it looked bad weeds a couple of feet tall, I said you need a gardener the guy say we had a storm two days ago, weeds don't grow that fast.

The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is fantastic, they offer eggs made to order. That has never happened at other places I've stayed. The beds are comfortable and the room is clean. The only negative I would give is that some of the furnishings are showing wear and tear.

Did not have a good experience at all. Let me explain! We had to clean our rooms air handler as soon as we got into our room……..the louvers on the air conditioning unit were covered with weeks and weeks of dust AND my wife immediately began sneezing. (We were too tired to drive on we had already driven 800 miles.). So, we took one of their washcloths and cleaned it ourselves. See picture. In the morning the breakfast person spent more time on her phone than working on the task at hand…….which was getting quick breakfast food for guests. Examples…… Hash browns were just defrosted, not hot or brown. They had not been cooked long enough. Simple as that. The gravy was barely warm. Closer to cold. Biscuits ran out of stock until someone told her. Microwave in breakfast area behaved very oddly. Not sure if that thing is operating correctly or not. I was a building manager an did not allow our staffs microwaves to run with their doors wide open. As we left we pointed something out to the front desk clerk but she was so busy on her phone that she barely answered us. They did not even hide it! Both employees we encountered were totally on their phones! Must not be supervised very closely. Then we walked to our vehicle, passing all the weeds growing in the sidewalks and the formerly beautiful landscaping. That is sad.

After a long day of seeing sites and on the road the site of this hotel was a welcome to tired eyes. At first entering I saw a group of younger individuals and thought for a moment that we were at the same hotel as the local high school after prom party. Too my shock it was just some individuals that worked there. Check in was smooth and easy. Hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable. the beds...so relaxing and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was quick, easy and filling. Never to long of a wait for the waffles or made to order eggs. I would highly recommend this location.

Very good staff. Nice place in the middle of nowhere. Nice breakfast with eggs made to order, very quickly. Clean room, everything worked. Easy on/off interstate. Nice dinner next door. Quiet. Good parking.

6 problems: 1) No sink drain 2) wobbly luggage trunk 3) Parallelogram table disguised as a desk -- extremely wobbly 4) Mold and mildew so strong in shower and accessible fold-down seat -- frame black and slimy 5) Thin towels -- also yellowed. Had consistency of dish towels. NOT KIDDING 6) Mattress so saggy that I put a pillow underneath place where people sit on bed so I wouldn't roll off. Positives: AC worked great, 2) Service personnel cheerful and efficient

Nice hotel; nice amenities, nice rooms; nice people. A+++ Easy off and easy on from I-40. Beds were very comfortable. My original stop was going to be Amarillo but I decided to get away from that congestion and this was the perfect choice.

The hotel was newer. The staff was very friendly and good at their work. The breakfast is prepared on site and was very good. We had a pet room at a reasonable extra cost. The room had a nice sized refrigerator.

The stay was great the pool was a little cold but the hot tub was warm. The eggs to order was so great both ladies cooking made my eggs perfect and the coffee was good. The ladies at the front desk was very polite and greeted everyone. It would be nice if the breakfast started at 5:30 for the people in town for work i was able to make it but it made me run close on time.

Awesome breakfast. Eggs cooked to order. Each customer, she created with a smile, and offered them eggs to order. The experience from visit, has encouraged us to seek out more Best Western, on future trips.

This hotel was friendly, The hotel staff was always eager to help you get what you need. The breakfast was a full breakfast with a variety every day. Judy would cook eggs for you any way you like. I never saw them run out of anything in the week I stayed. If you have a trailer parking might be more of a challenge and you have to park on the street in front of the hotel. It's close to what food is available. There is Mesquite steak house just up the road about a mile for sit down dining or Taco bell, McDonald's or Subway within a quarter mile of the hotel.There is a grocery/ hardware store behind the hotel with a larger hardware store about a mile up the road. 3 gas stations within sight of the hotel. Pool and hot tub were actually open for use. Most hotels say they have a pool and hot tub but when you get there they are closed for “repair”. I would definitely stay here if I were in the area.

Clean rooms, friendly helpful staff, breakfast was really good. Stay here every time I travel to Shamrock. For the price and value best in town. Rewards program is very nice as well. Other hotels in town are the same or not as good but always want way more per night. Great value

We were very pleased with this establishment. Was it perfect, no, but it is in the small town of Shamrock. The staff was nice to us. The room was clean and yes it's a little dated, but I'd stay there again if the need arises. On this road trip, this was the best breakfast. Sausage, or bacon, burritos, biscuits and gravy, waffles, and what seemed like locally sourced fresh pastries, the cinnamon rolls were pretty good.

Hotel was average. Rooms ok. A little dated. AC/Heater unit noisy. Hair dryer missing. The replacement only had one setting, the rest inoperative. It was the only one they had. Iron worked intermittently. Pool and hot tube heater inoperative. They put out of order sign up after asking about both. Bed sheet thin and worn. On positive note breakfast was decent. Book hotel for amenities. They had better choices than other surrounding hotel. Knowing what I know now would have chosen differently and saved some money.

This Best Western was nicer than the other two we stayed in on this trip. It looked much newer and the decor was nicer. The room was clean. The TV wasn't working but they gave us another room where it was. Easy access from interstate. Fantastic breakfast with several choices

Hotel itself was in very good shape. Room was nicely decorated and clean, for the most part.. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and breakfast (I was the first one there and it was ready at 6AM as advertised) was good...I had a breakfast burrito and a self serve waffle--made in the shape of Texas--and everything in that area seemed COVID clean. This place is right off route 40 so it was super convenient.

Nice, clean, comfortable. We got there very late and they allowed us a little bit later check out. Good breakfast too. All the people were friendly, and the room was quiet. Kind of generic if you are doing Route 66, but a good choice if you are traveling through.

Our room was not clean, especially the bathroom. I think the cleaning staff just swiped at surfaces with a towel. The staff was disinterested. There are renovations going on and we had to walk over a rickety plywood pathway to get into the lobby. I would not stay here again.

The staff here is amazing. The breakfast are fresh made and the rooms are spotless. It is a very safe place to be. The bed was quite comfortable and the price was very reasonable. We will stay at this location again when we travel this direction.

Finally, a motel stay where staff were kind. Traveling with an elderly parent and attempting to get an accessible room most evenings was extremely difficult. Not only were we able to get an accessible room, but also a connecting room. Thank you David for your magic! He ensured that our meets were met by making adjustments. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and breakfast had several options. We also loved the public area paintings of western art; although not relevant to a motel stay, but we did think the property was very well cared for and it showed. Again, thank you David for assisting us.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the fresh breakfast burritos. The unit provided a quiet nights sleep opportunity. We would stay here again given that the cost is reasonable for what you get.

This hotel isn't up to BW Plus standards. The landscaping outside is in rough shape and the garbage can by the back door was overflowing and smelly. While the lobby area looks good, it went downhill from there. There were some unidentified spots on the wall of the bathroom along with white powder all over the back of the bathroom door. Several of the outlets weren't attached to the wall straight and paint was rubbed off the corners of some walls. Our room was on the 3rd floor facing the interstate (which is just a stone's throw away) and was loud. When I went to use the phone to call the front desk to see about switching rooms I discovered the phone wasn't plugged in and couldn't find a plug in for it either. Turned out they were full and we couldn't switch rooms. We stayed put but I wouldn't recommend this hotel until they address some maintenance and cleaning issues.

With limited accommodations in Shamrock I'd rate this Room as adequate, but definitely needed some attention. Plumbing drained slowly and ran slowly. Parking was tight. Breakfast was good. Front Desk Clerks could have been more professional.

This BW was very satisfactory. Very clean and ease of access to get to, near the main highway and close to stores. My room was very clean but the internet did not work for some reason. Use of the fitness center was just ok.

This hotel was a pleasure to stay in. Nicely decorated, clean, fresh, roomy. Hot and cold breakfast options and the pool was open! All of the staff members were polite and helpful. Ample parking and close to a restaurant and grocery. I would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past four years, and I'm always pleased. The pet rooms are kept very clean compared to other hotels, the staff is fast & friendly, and the breakfast is good.

The decor was very well done. Hotel was clean. Usually I find dirt in the corners or a poorly cleaned toilet, bath etc. Not here. I had no hesitation about sleeping here. Great little breakfast with breakfast burritos and a nice attendant. Washer and dryer worked well too. This is the best BW I've ever stayed at and better than all the other hotels I stayed at on this trip. If I have the flexibility to include this hotel as a stop on my next trip I will.

Front desk and breakfast staff were friendly and efficient. Room and motel overall were clean and comfortable. If you're driving East and want to push some time past Amarillo this is a fine place to stay a night.

AC does not work good. It never really got cool in room. Even though we had it in 50 All Night. Room was moist and damp. We were too tired to go some place else. And everything around here was booked. Would not recommend. Surprised for Best Western Plus.

Stopped here on a long road trip. Checked in around midnight, and it went very smoothly! To no fault of the hotel, the room was damp, from the high humidity outside. The bed and pillows were good, not great. We fell asleep quickly! Had a nice hot shower before hitting the road in the morning.

Clean hotel nice indoor pool. AC didn't work so they switched our room right away, very apologetic. AC in 2nd room fine but kind of loud. After check in went driving looking for places to eat. Not much in area, taco bell right across street. Room clean, would stay again. Few parking spots on front side may have to park at far end.

The hotel itself is clean and the staff is friendly BUT there was no TV service and when I asked the front desk she said "TV service is tricky" May I suggest you get an new TV service. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay

Traveled with my family from Phoenix AZ to Ft Wayne IN. Our second hotel stop was the Best Western in Shamrock. Now, I don't ordinarily sleep well away from my own bed, and this trip was no different, with one exception; the room we took at Best Western Plus Shamrock Inn & Suites. Comfortable, quiet, with extra pillows. Zero problems with check-in. 9 hours of solid sleep left me ready to hit the road first thing in the morning.

We stayed one night during a long road trip. Comfortable beds, decent breakfast. Well maintained. Did not have energy to visit the pool, but it looked really nice. Hotel is handling COVID very well. Good choice along I-40.

Great hotel with great amenities. Staff was friendly and efficient. Room was very nice and clean. Good location and very accessible to good food and shopping. I would highly recommend this hotel to all travelers.

This was the best hotel we have stayed at in a long time. The staff is amazing and so friendly. The breakfast was the best. The room was clean and comfortable. You cannot be at the price anywhere in that area.

We stayed here for one night. Room was clean. The guy at the counter would rather go outside and smoke then assist you. The other workers provided nothing but excellent service. Good breakfast. Indoor Pool was super cold but there was a hot tub that was working. Good quick stay with the family. Safe and quiet. I would stay here again.

Stopped here while traveling. Had a good night sleep, there was a store within walking distance and I was able to park my trailer on the street. Staff was professional and the room was nice and clean.

This place was clean and convenient. It had a pool and an exercise room. But it's old. They have made some renovations to the rooms but the a/c is loud and the bathroom fixtures are old. They have a nice breakfast that is free of charge. Today a worker made fresh breakfast burritos for guests.

Room was clean, comfortable bed but desk chair arm was broken. The breakfast burritos were very good made with your meat choice. Rather disappointing with check in, people smoking in the entry way and no one was wearing a mask.

We stayed at this Best Western in Shamrock and we very pleased with condition of room and breakfast choices. Highly recommend this hotel. Very friendly staff. Bed was very comfortable. Would stay there again.

We stayed here overnight while traveling between home and a possible new home state. Located right off the freeway, it was still quiet. Inside hallways, clean facilities and nice staff. We were disappointed that the indoor pool and hot tub were closed during our stay, not because of COVID-19, but for something else. We didn't try the breakfast. The fitness room was open, and the treadmill was working properly. (After sitting in a vehicle all day, walking a treadmill felt good!) We would definitely stay here again if/when we come through Shamrock. The biggest downside is not with the hotel, but with Shamrock: for dinner, you have a choice between 3 fast food places and 1 sit-down restaurant.

I love you guys hotel clean, quiet and comfortable. The cable selection was great most hotels only give you one premium channel you guys give me multiple options. And the price with being a plus member was beautiful $71 for what you gave and it was a KIng size bed. Was a bargain the next I'm in the area I will be stay there.

Good hotel, we were traveling with our dog and stayed here. One of the few that accepts pets, good staff very informative and knowledgeable on the area. The beds could be better but not bad, clean. We were traveling to Oklahoma and had a fifth wheel, we could park in the parking lot and we wanted to get in and out, accomplished

Great location off of the interstate. Right across the street from a gas station. Very reasonable breakfast, including filling my thermos with coffee for the next day. Not the Taj Mahal but very adequate and very polite staff.

Judith went above and beyond, 15 year employee, in making breakfast burritos and even carrying them to our room. This is the cleanest of all 6 hotels we stayed at in the past week. Thank you! Will definitely be back!

this was a very nice hotel, offered a brk burrito with other typical choices, David was vey helpful with making arrangements for stay, ( initial reservation cancelled and they called to notify of electric outage d/t ice storm

I wish I could give this more than 5 stars! We are traveling east and was going to stop in Amarillo but all the hotels there had bad reviews or booked for the night so we kept driving on and found this little gem in shamrock. Y'all, it is one of the best hotel stays I've had. Extremely clean rooms, covid compliant, the sweetest staff ever, Julie, I believe was her name was so welcoming and warming when we showed up at midnight. Then the morning staff greeted us with warm good mornings. Wonderful breakfast burritos and amazing coffee. The best part was it was so fairly priced!!! I had all intentions to hit the gym before breakfast but the bed was so comfortable I couldn't get up! If you're planning on stopping off in Amarillo stop short or keep driving to shamrock. You won't regret it!!!

Stayed here so could visit the Grand Canyon of Texas on way back to AZ. Nice rooms, pleasant staff. Quiet in hotel but street noise from highway. Provided hot breakfast In spite of COVID. But were very conscientious regarding COVID. Would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the location was very special in this small quiet town right on historic route 66. Also, it was very close to the highway so we didn't need to drive much. The staff was nice and helpful !

We have had a great trip from Florida to Phoenix AZ. Our Luck held up at Shamrock's Best Western. They relly went the Extra Mile with their version of the Grab & Go Breakfast which included a Made to Order Breakfast Burrito, Coffee, Yogurt Cup, and a piece of Fresh Fruit. Now we are taking the Long Way Home with a stop in Springfield IL to see the In-Laws. Staff was very friendly. That's where the positive review ends. The rooms are extremely run down. We called the day before to specifically ask about washer/dryer availability and were told we could do laundry. The dryer was broken when we arrived. Ice maker was also not working and the pool was closed. The town is very cute but the stay was quite disappointing. Wouldn't recommend.

Pulled in tired from driving all day. Got a good rate for a room. We were disappointed that the pool is closed for COVID... not sure why a pool full of chlorine is a COVID risk... part of the current craze I guess. The room was nice. Will need a renovation in the not too distant future. Curved shower curtain rod was coming loose, built in night light in the bathroom was a strobe, and the pillows were soft but a bit lumpy. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. In the morning we were pleased that someone was making breakfast burritos! Not the standard hotel breakfast crap. We appreciate the effort, and they were good. Made a little bland as to cater to a larger crowd, but they had picante and tobasco on hand to remedy that! Very friendly front desk staff, and overall great stop for a weary traveler!

This hotel is very close to I-40. easy on and off. Nice place to pull in and spend the night on long cross country drive. Gas right across the street. Breakfast ready at 6:30 do you can eat and go. Indoor pool.

Stay was as expected from a Best Western hotel. Such outstanding value for the price. Knock on wood, I have never had a bad experience at a Best Western. They are my hotel of choice. They have outstanding customer service and the breakfast is typically very good.

Staff did I not wear masks, guests did. Best Western website indicate that all staff would wear masks due to COVID. This is unacceptable. We had two more travel nites in the road and avoided best western because of this experience.

I needed a pet friendly hotel and this fit the bill. Pool was closed due to the pandemic so I didn't check it out. Room was very clean and roomy. I would definately stay here again if I was in Shamrock.

We came in at night and coffee and a cinnamon roll we available. The front desk person was kind. The next morning we had a nice breakfast bar. A woman was there to make eggs if you wanted them. I recommend this place. We were there in November 2019 and December 2019

I can't believe this hotel has such great guest satisfaction. In spite of calling two days ahead to insure all three of our rooms were situated close together, we had one room on each of the three floors. The front desk man was clealy ill. There was a dirty washcloth hanging on the shower rod in one room, the TV remote didn't work in another room, the internet reception was horrible, the bed in one room sagged on one side, the pillows on the king beds were small and lumpy, the toilet dribbled water constantly in one room, and the shower heads in two rooms were awful, Because of Covid-19, we were given "Grab 'n Go" bags which is understandable but the yogurt in them was warm and one had a totally brown banana. If the front desk woman would have asked about our stay at check-out, I would have told her but she didn't ask nor thanked us for staying there. I've never written a bad review but I want to save people the expense of staying here.

We paid more than the normal price due to the 74th annual St Patrick's Day Celebration which was fine. We stay there at least a dozen times a year and things have progressively gotten worse. We always have to switch rooms due to maintenance issues. This time we slept the first night without AC because it wouldn't stay on. Then we were moved to another room the next morning but when we went to shower the day we were checking out we could not shower because the shower head would only drip water no matter what setting you put it on. We attempted to talk to a girl at the front who didn't seem to care and was more concerned about looking at her phone. She stated the manager would call us but that never happened. We called again today and are waiting for a call back. We try to always stay at best westerns but if this place doesn't start maintaining their rooms we are going to have to stay elsewhere.

Nice room not much within walking distance. Clean nice room ( had a suite) Poor parking if you have a trailer. Have to use 200 letters and I am out of comments hope this does it...Gas across the street..

This hotel is in dire need of renovation. There are better options in Shamrock. Stay at one of those! The mattress was worn out and the sheets were ripped and stained. Not good! The room furnishings were worn, chipped and scratched from decades of heavy use.

Because of my status aites a BW rewards program our room was upgraded to an executive suite, which we enjoyed After a nice morning swim breakfast was cooked to order (eggs). Everything else was fresh and hot. Nice to see the ways properties are upgrading the breakfast. Judy the cook was delightful!

Our Christmas & New Year trip took us through Shammoch Texas. We spentvthe night at The Best Western Plus there. It was our first time staying at a Best Western and we were pleased that we stayed there. From check in to check out was 1st rate. Friendly, fast service and the rooms were spotless. The complimentary breakfast was great. Eggs were cook to order and were perfect. Would stay again should the need arise.

This hotel is perfect! Beyond clean, beautiful bathroom, great linens, comfortable beds, eggs cooked as you like for breakfast and nice staff. We will be back and we will look for Best Western Plus as we keep traveling.

Our family was satisfied with the customer service, cleanliness of the hotel and quality of the hot breakfast. The only thing that would have made our stay even more enjoyable would be a heated hot tub! If ever needed again, we would book this hotel.

If you are ever traveling thru North Texas along I40 you have to stay here. The people are great and the breakfast buffet is first class. A young lady will make your eggs anyway you like them. Great little town.

We were very happy with our experience. Super friendly, helpful staff. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The best night's sleep we had had in months actually. The room was billed as non smoking and unlike our last stay at a different hotel in the area, it was clear that it was truly a non smoking room. Smelled fresh. We will definitely be returning for sure on our next trip through.

We travel here once a year at least. For the last two years, we have had problems with a nearby property that refuses to heat their indoor pool. I called this property 3 days in advance and they assured me the pool was in working order. With two young kids, the pool is a needed amenity. We arrive to find a nice room and a pool too cold for anyone unless you are looking for a polar plunge. The person working the front desk that evening was less than helpful. His solution was, "the hot tub works." The next day upon our return from a family get together, the pool had a sign on it saying it was closed. The wi-fi was so spotty that I finally used my hotspot. Also, the DirecTV was in and out of reception. That being said, the breakfast was good and the lady working there was very friendly. We had two rooms with a connecting door and they were fine. I was not asked anything about my stay when checking out.

Excellent experience and value. I had a king room, and it was pretty large and comfortable. Room and hotel were clean. Bed was very comfortable. Looks like it was recently updated. Friendly staff. Good breakfast with cooked to order eggs. Great location just north of the freeway.

All staff were very pleasant and willing to help . The breakfast was way above what other chains provide you . .I would highly recommend this facility to my friends and families .I will definitely stay at this facility again as I travel between Wisconsin and California .

I stayed at this hotel for about 2 weeks. The breakfast they had was awesome. Judy the breakfast attendant was very friendly, and the eggs she made me were always excellent. The Front Desk staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. I needed recommendations on where to eat and they suggested a few places. The pool was clean and the water very clear. The hot tub helped after a day of working and then traveling. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I especially loved the wifi.. I will always return to this hotel when I am traveling in the area...

There is actually nothing that makes this hotel stand out from the others. The decor was ok, it was clean. We didn't use the pool but it looked ok. Our room was average. The only thing that stood out to me was the incredibly small breakfast area. It has 5 tables and is a very narrow space. People were bumping into each other. They do have a lovely woman working in there who cooks eggs to order..that's a nice touch. It's right off the highway & we paid less for this BWPlus stay than the previous night at a regular BW.

A great modern hotel, great location very clean and comfortable. Large room with a comfortable bed. Staff is very friendly and made a great suggestion for a local restaurant. Would recommend staying here if in the area.

After driving all day, this was an awesome place to stay. Very welcoming staff, nice room with a comfortable bed and an awesome cooked to order breakfast. Highly recommended for a relaxing evening to a long day of traveling.

We picked this hotel due to location and BW brand. We were not disappointed. Beautiful hotel, well decorated with wonderful art. Our room was extremely clean and very quiet. TV had many channels including a number of HBO channels. The price was very reasonable and desk front very kind. The breakfast was very good, with made to order eggs. The only negative about breakfast was the cheap paper plates. If you are dring down Hwy 40, a great place to stop.

Clean, efficient, great value!! Best Western standards at their best! Easy access off the freeway, very pleasant staff! Only slight down side was the size of the breakfast room, but breakfast was made to order excellent!

Always a safe place when I travel alone. I know the people will be welcoming, the room clean and I get to have a nice breakfast before I leave the next morning. The wonderful staff has always gone above & beyond to make sure everything is perfect and I've stayed there at least 12 times!!!! I strongly recommend this lovely Best Western!

A very good motel meeting our needs for good value and high quality. Staff were courteous and friendly and addressed all our questions. Breakfast was flavorful and nutritious. Location was very good and readily accessible from I-40 both east and west bound.

We had a very enjoyable stay. Room was clean and the breakfast was very good. We will definitely stay there again The only drawback was a cold jacuzzi. We were looking forward to relaxing in the jacuzzi but the water was cold.

King suite room - Bed was comfortable. Flat screen tv (needs to be in front of the bed) but worked ok in the sitting area. fridge, microwave. Breakfast you could order what style eggs you like. Ac worked ok.

I have never stayed at a Best Westen Plus before this but was exhausted and jumped off the interstate to stretch my legs and it was right there and looked nice so we decided to call it a night and glad we did!! Very reasonably priced and very clean!! Staff was wondeful and the breakfast was also very good!! We will definitely be trying this brand more after our experience here. Also pet friendly!!

This is the second time I have stayed here on trips to Albuquerque and both times a great experience! Rooms are very clean and staff excellent. Had a problem with booking from a different website but David at the front desk was so patient and helpful.. kudos to him! The hot breakfast was magnificent.. cant say enough good things! Pool and hot tub were very clean. Great stay..

This was such an excellent hotel. We will definitely stay again and I am recommending to all our friends. The hotel was clean, staff was very courteous and helpful. I cannot comment on brekkie as we did not stay for it.

I would have given better ranking if the couch in the room hadn't been torn and laid flat so we could actually sit on it. The elevator was also down, not ideal for carrying luggage up the stairs. We also never had internet. The gals tried to work on it all through the night, even at check out at 7am it still was down. Was unable to receive a receipt or get reward points for the stay. The staff was very apologetic and friendly but doesn't make it better when you pay more for certain amenities.

Room was very clean. One of the better places to stay in Shamrock. Plenty of parking on site. Direct TV in room a real plus. Did not make breakfast as it finished at 9am and we arrived late. Would stay again.

This BW Hotel is a little dated, but the beds were nice and comfy, rooms were clean, the staff was very accommodating and they had the best selection for a continental breakfast, with made to order eggs. The nice lady that prepares the eggs actually prepared them for us even though we were a little late.

The hash browns were awesome and I needed them for the day I was going to have. Really good selection. The brand muffins were good too. Great staff and good location off the major interstate The room and bed were very comfortable.

We stayed one night prior to Memorial Day, 2019, on our trip to Colorado. Check in was easy, the property easy to find off the interstate. We were charged a reasonable pet fee and warned there were charges if we use hotel linens for pet clean up.. Our room was on the 3rd floor. The elevator was a little slow but welcome. There was no parking for our trailer on the property but there was street parking available plus the parking lot of vacant business properties the next block. There is a gas station and quick mart just up the street. We had a standard double room which was clean and the beds comfortable. There was a micro-fridge with a small freezer and a newer t.v. with a dresser and night stand. All looked mostly new. Breakfast was good with a couple hot items, and eggs made to order by friendly staff. Overall a nice stay.

In general this hotel was nice, but beware the 3 or 4 rooms located are at the lobby and breakfast area. Any and all of the lobby noise can be heard in these rooms. I would guess other hotel rooms would be ok.

So booked one night on best western website. No where was there an option to ask for pet friendly room. So when I checked in late at night like almost midnight, I told the front desk I need a pet friendly room and I am willing to pay the 20 dollar fee. They say no pet friendly rooms are available so they has to put me in a suite which was an extra 40 dollars which I had to agree since I already booked the room. No courtesy to offer a room for the same price plus pet fee since I booked on their own web site. I will think twice before I stay here again.i like the best western brand but this particular location was not a good experience. Plus the suite smelled weird and the ice bucket had water in it like they forgot to clean after the previous guest.

Shamrock is a well-situated travel stop along I-40, and the Best Western Plus is an ideal place to stay. It is convenient to the highway, homey and with a consistency from other BWPs I visited. The beds are very comfortable and it is peaceful, so I always get a good night sleep. The staff is professional and friendly, and the breakfast is more than sufficient. Of all the places in Shamrock, this is my permanent rest stop!

This place is awesome! We just randomly pulled off the highway as we are traveling West, and we had been loyal customers of another chain (they will get no free advertising here!) but they have recently been bought by a larger chain, have changed the pet policy, the elevator was out of service (that motel is less than 3 years old) and is expensive. So we had great service at Best Western in Henderson last year, so we saw them when we pulled off the Interstate _ and I am glad we did. Not only is the whole staff extremely nice, the breakfast is the best of any motel we have stayed in. And as good as any 3 star hotel. And the room was half the price of the previous evenings' stay. Also, we travel with our pets, one one of which is 95 pounds. Highly recommend.

Service was awesome. The free breakfast was nice. The price was good. The room was the nicest hotel room I have ever stayed in. It had everything I could ever ask for. Giant bed, bar with sink, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, living room area with couch and table, big flat screen TV with direct TV, nice desk with chair and a huge bathroom.

We were passing through and stayed just one night. The staff was very friendly and efficient. They actually had a wonderful lady cooking eggs fresh per order at breakfast. The room was clean and nicely furnished. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Just one hitch though. While they do advertise that they are pet friendly (which they are) they do charge $10.00 per night per pet.

The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The breakfast had made-to-order eggs. Bathroom was very clean and the room was quite spacious. The hotel was very close to I-40 and close to gas stations. There was a burger joint right behind it; I would not recommend them due to their blantant intolerance of people with different beliefs or values.

Great room and an amazing breakfast with eggs made to order at a very affordable price . On top of that, they are pet friendly, and I was traveling with two dogs. The room was incredibly spacious and the staff was very helpful and accommodating

Because of my Status with Best Western I was upgraded to an exectutive room. Very nice!Breakfast was outstanding, Eggs Cooked to order, fresh hot hashbrowns and very friendly attendent. Staff was friendly and helpful, and I had a great nights rest.

After a long day on the road my husband and I were delighted with the warm reception and check in by Samantha. Very accommodating with meeting our room requests. Room was clean and comfy. Great breakfast with made-to-order eggs by Judy. We will definitely stay here again.

This hotel needs to get new maids that know how to clean. Bathroom was fifthly, roach eggs in the dresser and cold air was coming thru the air conditioner from outside. Breakfast was the only thing this place has going for it.

My husband and I stayed here last night, passing through on our way to Arizona. This morning we had fresh cooked made -to -order eggs and bountiful breakfast selections! Who else offers this?! Reasonably priced and clean rooms, and we were also impressed with the friendly staff. We plan on returning here on our way back to Illinois

Good place to stay when traveling through Texas. Close to interstate but still fairly quiet. Friendly people, large rooms. Clean but a little dated. The hotels was doing work while we were there (ie. a new pool) so it will only improve. Dog friendly, low pet fee.

This is a well maintained property easy to find. Friendly front desk person who directed us to a couple of local restaurants. Comfortable room.. Clean and good bed. Very great value. Breakfast room small but good selection with a lady cooking fresh eggs to order. Very nice touch. We'll stay here next time we pass through Shamrock.

This is not an expensive hotel, but it is in a safe location, and it's pet friendly. The people who work there are fantastic. They all treat you like you are someone they know and like. They are willing to go out of their way to make you a satisfied customer. The free breakfast is good and makes it a real value. I have stayed at this hotel twice, and both times, i forgot something at the hotel. The first time, the manager got the item in the mail the same day. (New management) Then, about three weeks later, i left my SUITCASE in the lobby. I felt like an idiot. Samantha, the general manager (they were smart to promote her) explained to me how I could send a "Click and Ship" label online from the USPS. On HER OWN TIME, she put the contents of my suitcase into two boxes and mailed them to me. Wow. i had one very sentimental item in the bag from my late husband. It meant the world to me to have Samantha helping me. Shamrock, TX is a tiny town, but very easy to get to from the freeway. After your free breakfast, you will be able to get gas right across the street and get back on your way.

Awesome customer service. Very clean room and delicious breakfast. I want to personally say thank you to David he's a super cool employee there and I'm extremely grateful I had the privilege of bumping in to him.

GIVEN someon else's room, NEXT room found something that looked like a SCAB IN BED. Arrived at 1AM in morning didnt report till check out at 7am. Showed attendant what I found and she just Brushed It OFF. So NO WILL NEVER EVER STAY A BEST WESTERN AGAIN

Nice hotel in middle of nowhere off Rt 66! Will be nice after remodel is finished! The pool & fitness room was ok! Needs some weights! Enjoyed the eggs made to order for breakfast! The Mesquite Canyon Steakhouse restaurant nearby was very good!

After reading the other reviews, I'm wondering why our room didn't stack up with the other reviews. We found the room not to be as clean as other reviews. There was dust in many areas. The bathroom door had spatters of something on it that could be scraped off with my fingernails. On the positive side, breakfast was very good. Pre-made omelettes, bacon/sausage, and yogurt in containers and not out of a dispenser. Also a waffle maker instead of a waffle machine (which we found in other hotels to not work well at all). The breakfast room was full of flies, which made eating difficult. There were no newspapers like other hotels offered. Towels were absolutely wonderful.

Very pleasant stay. Great breakfast and comfortable beds. We stayed on a Sunday and town is in the middle of the bible belt and shuts down on Sunday, can't buy liquor or get much to eat other than frast food.

We were passing through and stayed here. The breakfast was excellent and had a lot of choices. The hotel was neat and clean, the staff very helpful, nice pool, and great room accommodations. The tv channel line up had great options. The beds were pretty comfortable.

I been to a number of Best Western Hotels over the years. This was a great hotel! We only stayed a night, but the pool and hot tub were excellent, we also enjoyed the fitness room. The breakfast was amazing! I haven't seen such a number of options in a long time. The waffles came out Texas shaped! What fun! The staff was great, the beds were comfortable, the price was reasonable. They were the only hotel in town that did not raise their price due to a festival in town. Another hotel raise it to $200 a night! We were very satisfied with our stay at Best Western Plus in Shamrock. We are now looking for more Best Western Plus to stay in as we travel.

My husband and I stopped overnight at the Best Western Plus in Shamrock on our way westbound on I-40. We've made the trip several times, and we always stop here; it's always a comfortable, pleasant night's stay. Our room was spacious and clean, with a fridge and microwave, and ample room in the bathroom. This isn't a luxury hotel, so there were a few cracked tiles in the shower and a stain on the ottoman, but the carpets were fresh and all the linens were clean. The hotel is definitely attended to on a regular basis, as we saw plenty of evidence of recent remodeling as well as normal upkeep. The full, hot breakfast is complimentary and quite tasty. I used the gym room and it was perfect for a single session, with a treadmill, elliptical trainer, stationary bicycle and small weight machine. Even with its proximity to I-40, the hotel is VERY quiet, and we had an extremely comfortable night's sleep. The A/C kept our room at a nice temperature, which was very appreciated in the summer heat. The Mitchell family restaurant on the grounds has closed, but there are some good options for dining in town. Kudos to David at the front desk for such a nice experience at check-in; he was very welcoming and helped us out with everything from breakfast hours to the wifi password to a great dinner recommendation. All the staff is attentive to the travelers' needs and seem genuinely committed to every guest having a great stay. They certainly succeeded in our case!

June 6,2018 Check in went fine, after that it was all down hill. Our room was warm, turned air down, went to eat dinner. Back in the room, very warm. The hallway was actually cold so i propped open the door. Called front desk, clerk came up put his hand over air, said it was blowing cool air. Thermistat was set at 65 for quite awhile, his remark was "it's no 65 but, it's no 80.. not nice not friendly, no other rooms. Went outside, looked like the walkways hadn't been pressure washed for years. Attacked by flies, trash cans over flowing. The next morning, desk clerk won't look up or acknowledge you..too busy watching videos. Entering the breakfast area we were offered a fly swatter! Need i say more.

Comfortable but could not get over the smell. The a/c had a sour smell coming from it. Breakfast was great. Location was convenient. Pets are welcome, so that might have had something to do with the odor.

Room was clean and breakfast was fair (very limited choices). The male desk clerk was not friendly at check-in. I went back later to ask a question and found him on the phone. I waited but he never got off the phone or acknowledged my presence. We were attracted to Shamrock because of the warm welcome that we received at the “Do Drop In” on our way out West following Route 66. On our return trip, we decided to stay in Shamrock. Shamrock is a great little town BUT NEVER TRY TO VISIT IT ON A SUNDAY!!! EVERYTHING IS CLOSED!!! YES, EVERYTHING! Our only choices for food were: McDonalds, Subway or Taco Bell. Vern's Steakhouse was suppose to be open but wasn't. We asked a convenience store... and was told their was a steakhouse down the road about 25 miles. I tried calling it, got no answer so I assume that they were closed too!

A pet-friendly hotel (although on the high end of fees at $16) just off the highway with an iconic Route-66 gas station just down the street. Staff is extra friendly and the hotel is clean and comfortable. A LOT of pets. Breakfast offered a typical selection of eggs/meat, breads & muffins, waffles, etc. BUSY between 7-8am. Downside of a small town (pop 1910), arrived on High School graduation night - the entire town was closed, including most restaurants... however, found a great little steak house a couple miles up the road

We were passing through on our way home from vacation. Overall we were very pleased with our stay. Breakfast was great! I would recommend staying here. Great value and our room was very clean! Elevator availabe to those who have a hard time with stairs.

Caring staff, clean property, quick check-in/out, good parking. Unexpected amenities in out of the way location. Located conveniently right off the exit of I-40. The breakfast I think is listed as continental, but goes far beyond. We stayed many times, eggs, hot waffle Texas cooked by the individual, sausage, bacon, sometimes omelettes, and More!

I found this to be a very comfortable hotel with excellent room, pool, and spa. They also offered breakfast, but we left too early in the morning to take advantage of it. They appear to be pet friendly as several guests had small dogs. It was just what we needed after multiple days of motorcycle riding.

Our stay at this best Western was excellent the rooms were clean the staff was nice the breakfast was good to ground her cleaned. We we travel from buoy Maryland to Albuquerque New Mexico or Billings Montana every year so I'm sure we will be stopping at the best Western again it is on our route going out and coming home

The room was very nice, and clean with the air conditioner already cooling the room on arrival. All of the staff that I visited with were very nice. The check in and check out was fast and easy. My stay was overall a great experience.

Stopped in at the Best Western Plus Shamrock Inn and Suited on our drive to Phoenix. Front desk clerk seemed rather disinterested in our arrival but the room was clean and beds were good. Breakfast was good in the morning so it wasn't a long stop.

Very nice!! The staff was friendly. The room was very nice, bed comfortable everything was clean. The breakfast had a nice variety of things to choose from.Easy access off I-40. We came in late and left right after breakfast but were able to recharge for another long day. I would definitely stay here again and hopefully be able to stay longer.

This best western plus did not disappoint us, as they rarely do not. Front staff lady was absolutely fantastic We asked for recommendations on a good steak house as we saw several advertised.. She recommended one and, to our delight, it was fantastic. Our room was across from the breakfast room in the lobby, but we never heard any noise whatsoever. Room was very clean, king bed was comfortable sleeping,. Plenty of hot water for 2 ppl and pressure was great..Breakfast was a hot breakfast and all was good there also. We would stay here again!!!! Hotel was pet friendly, as we saw several dogs, but never heard them at night.. Parking is great also.. hot tub and inside pool , Wifi was great..

Great stay in a nice hotel that accepts dogs....everything was very nice. We had no issues and the staff was very nice. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was good, and all in all, well worth the money and a good stop in Shamrock, TX.

Clean, comfortable and a good place to have your doggy....no complaints. Short and sweet stay. Beds were very nice....Front deck help very nice, breakfast fine. A little bit of green space for the doggy and close to Big Verns Steakhouse for a great dinner!

I am a snowbird and I make several trips from the midwest to Scottsdale, Arizona each year - in 2 different cars - going east and going west before and after winter. A large part of my journey is spent on Interstate 40 - from Arizona To Oklahoma. I know every mile, every town and just about every hotel along the path. Shamrock, Texas was a new stop for me. I usually stay in Amarillo when I'm driving back to the midwest, but driving on to Shamrock added about 90 miles and made the next day's ride a little shorter. I am a fan of Best Western Hotels - especially the ones that qualify for the PLUS designation. The Shamrock Inn and Suites met the standards very well. My room was a King Suite and I had a refrigerator and a microwave. There was a big flat screen TV, but part of enjoying this journey is the ability to keep the TV off ... The WiFi was fast - but there was a little hiccup at one point in the evening -- I called the desk and the WiFi was back on in a few minutes. The shower had lots of hot water and high pressure. The bed was comfortable - with lots of pillows. The heating and AC worked and it was quiet. A great feature of the Best Western chain is the included full breakfast. We're not talking about a stale Danish and some coffee here - this is bowls of cereal, scrambled eggs, bacon and/or sausage - and a do it yourself waffle. There is also fresh fruit and a refrigerator filled with yogurts. The Shamrock breakfast area was clean and attended by a wonderful person. It was great! I enjoyed my stay and I'll be back ...

Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Room was extra clean and comfortable. Breakfast was an unexpected pleasure, all foods that we tried were excellent including the omelets(which was the surprise)

Up to all the Best Western standards. Clean room, comfy bed, great breakfast. Dog friendly with some green space which is important to us. This will be our annual stopover coming home from Arizona after the winter.

Our room was right next to the lobby and I was concerned that it might be too noisy, but the room was great. It was quiet and comfortable. We stayed overnight and got an early start in the morning. The hotel was right off the freeway and next to a gas station. I would recommend this hotel for a quick overnight stay.

This hotel should not Bea Best Western PLUS much less a Best Western . Upon checking into our room we discovered mold in the refrigerator , the control knob broken and could not get it to turn on so we moved to another room however we waned a king and got 2 double beds so they moved us again to a room with a king bed. The refrigerator had old food in it but it worked, there was still trash in the baskets, the shower head was falling off the wall, mold in shower, bathroom wall crumbling, paint spray on bathroom door, mold on tile floor, old linens. This was worse than a motel 6. The pool has been closed for months because of needed repairs and this is an indoor pool. They have no idea if they can fix it.

We arrived to a less than enthusiastic young man at the check in who was unable to find our points in his system for whatever reason. Our room was just off the lobby which I thought might be noisy was it was very quiet. Breakfast was good and clean as were our rooms. Didn't check out the pool as this was just a quick stop on our journey. Shamrock is a small town so we were just looking for a spot to rest our heads for the night. This was certainly fine for what we needed.

My mother and I stayed at this hotel for one night. We were greeted by a friendly and helpful receptionist. We were checked in quickly and the receptionist accepted our request for us to switch rooms. We had a big bathroom and comfortable beds. The TV worked great. The fitness room has cardio machines, however, we could not get the treadmill to work. The breakfast was great. Good assortment of cereal, furor, pastries, eggs and sausage. We felt very comfortable and safe at this hotel.

Room was okay. Bed not great or the pillows. Linens felt like they had been hung out on the clothesline. Breakfast was undercooked, bacon floppy and nearly raw. Employees friendly enough. Overall not horrible, but there could be a few things to improve the experience. This is our second stay here. Not sure if we will again, despite the convenience.

Likely, the best place to stay in Shamrock, TX. The hotel was in the process of being updated to the new BW standards, but that did not distract from the overall quality of our stay. Conveniently located off of I-40, friendly hotel staff, and pleasant accommodations, made for a perfect stay.

Staff is attentive to detail, very clean rooms (stayed many times at this same hotel now), and breakfast is awesome, hot and way beyond continental standards. Even though the hotel is right off I-40, it's very quiet and the beds help me get better sleep than at home.

It was the best hotel and room we have ever stayed at. The young lady was very helpful and when I told her that I had a Best Western card but couldn't find it, she looked it up and up graded our room.

Comfortable beds were a plus. This hotel has improved since our last visit 3+ years back. Breakfast at this BW did not have the variety of others, but it was okay. No half-and-half for the coffee--now, that one is a deal-breaker for one of us; since there was butter for the toast, why not something better than Cremora?

For the services offered, this wasn't a Plus for Best Western. The toilet was continually running, I adjusted the flapper myself. The bathroom was filthy, Dirty in the corners and when I had to wipe up a spill and the washcloth came up black. The smoke detector was missing from the wall. The last thing I want to do is maintenance when I've been driving all day.

Very clean room with comfortable beds and pillows. Friendly and helpful staff. Also, a great little restaurant within walking distance that has the best hamburgers and icecream anywhere. Hotel breakfast was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Great holiday on Route 66 & location is terrific just off the Mother Road & within walking distance of the wonderful Big Vern's Steak Place. Recommend this hotel... very friendly staff. Good pool & spa.

I must say being a hotel when is is raining, lighting and thunder is a different experience I am very happy the power never went out, the staff is very comforting and helpful too! I would for sure stay at this hotel in my near future. Finding out that a Disney movie was inspired by a historic site there made it all that much better.

We took a trip out west through Oklahoma Kansas Colorado New Mexico. We stopped at various sites and so many new things. Pikes Peak was probably the most impressive. I enjoyed my stay at the Best Western and would stay there again.

This hotel is well taken care of and provides a quiet time for needed rest while traveling, Once inside your room it's like the comfort of home. We are very pleased with the employees that we come in contact with and amazed as to how quick they are to want to take care of your needs.. This hotel offers a good breakfast with a large variety of foods, hot and cold.

It's a BW plus so everything was very nice. I especially enjoy their mattresses and pillows. Spacious rooms, granite surfaces, great shower heads and nice staff. There is a pool and sauna and a good hot breakfast.

There were a number of us on our MVPA Route 66 Convoy that spent the night here. Check in was smooth as was check out. Room was clean, beds comfortable. Breakfast was good. It is a good value! Thanks again, Best Western.

Traveling thru the panhandle on the way to Sante Fe & stopped for the night.The 2 closed down buildings next door have no curb appeal. BUT, This place was great. Friendly staff, great pet friendly room, & great breakfast. I took my dogs out for a walk at 3 A.M, & the desk person had treats for our dogs when we returned. Right on the highway, but no highway noise.

This was one of the nicest places that we stayed. The employees were so nice, helpful and friendly. The room was marvelous. The property was so beautiful. The breakfast was very good. It couldn't have been any better. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to stay.

Staff very helpful , the room clean shampoo lotion coffee , plenty of towels , nice TV , nice breakfast selection, GOOD coffee . Loved the pool lounged in the hot tub . Felt great! We would stay there again .

I'm a person that love to travel. But unfortunately, not all the time I have money to do so. Travel is a way to take my stress away. If discount I can always save up and we'll be able to travel more often.

Bad weather forced an unexpected stop in Shamrock, but the hotel was a pleasant surprise The staff was efficient and friendly. The room was large and comfortable. The free breakfast was good and the food items were replenished as needed. This was near the end of an eleven day road trip and the free breakfast was the best we enjoyed on our trip. Good thing, there are no nearby restaurants.

We were weary travelers, having come from Holbrook, AZ, on our way home. Finally stopped after looking for a room, and finding none. I asked for a room, David said yes they had king/queen, but since I was a Rewards member, he could upgrade us to the Executive Suite. So up we went to a wonderful, comfortable room. We had a good nights sleep, and went on our way early the next morning. I love Best Western Hotels! They are always clean, the staff is always friendly, and it's a wonderful place to stay. If you're in Shamrock, TX, stop in!

The hotel is well located just off I-40, close to a gas station and convenience store. The room was clean and comfortable, almost across the laundry room, which was a welcome thing during a cross-country car trip. Though they'd ran out of laundry supplies for purchase at the front desk, a short walk to the convenience store solved that. Breakfast was included with our room, with a good selection of fruits, cereals, bagels, pastries and waffles.

one night stay, very easy on and off interstate during road trip, excellent friendly staff and breakfast, room spacious handicapped suite had roll in shower and room for my scooter around bed and sofa area, rated sleep quality average because we found the pillows thick and hard but we did not ask the staff if they had any others

Very clean the staff was very nice and helpful come through again I will stop here for good night sleep they have a great selction for breakfast the pool area was clean and they a great workout room you feel like you are home in this motel outside is so pretty grocery store right around the Conner and fast food right across the street

We lost a garmet bag that flew out of our luggage rack we left open. We were an hour away when we realized it happened. We called the hotel and they sent a staff person to look for it and it was found on the road! It saved our trip. Very grateful for the helpful service.

Hotel looks good from the outside. Front desk help was nothing special. Room was oversized which was nice but there was an odor and dampness to the room. I think the AC was leaking and it couldn't keep up with the size of the room.

Stayed one night. Desk clerk was very nice and helpful. Did not eat b'fast. Coffee was not good. Room was good. No problems. Nothing special. Would probably stay again if under the same need for a hotel at the same time of day and location during my travel.

We spent only one night at this hotel while traveling to central Oklahoma and it was a very pleasant stay. Easy access to the hotel, everything we saw was very clean and well maintained, our room was clean and comfortable, the bed was comfortable, the free wifi was very good and the breakfast was good. It was also a very good value. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

After traveling cross country, this hotel gave us the best accommodations for the least amount of money. Large king bed, pool, breakfast, free internet, and quiet. Not a night spot for the partier, but perfect for the traveler (250 ft off the interstate). Oh, did I mention that it was quiet? Our room opened to the lobby and not a sound!

The Best Western in Shamrock was a little disappointing. Front desk always tells what's beyond and smile goes a long way. Breakfast and staff were great as was checkout. Inside pool was past its "use by date" As an engineer I see a fire hazard in the boiler room adjacent to the pool where the was open. Very poor maintenance.

Stopped to get some rest. Arrived at 4 am. Asked if I could check out at noon instead of 11. They said yes(with an unhappy look). They were knocking on my door at 9 am. Long story short paid $120 for about 4 hr of sleep.

We only stayed in Shamrock because we needed a place to stop for the night. The BW had rooms available at a reasonable rate. The hotel is a little rough around the edges, but has been updated. The couch in our room was torn and had holes in it, but the room was clean and comfortable. The beds and bedding were comfortable with plenty of pillows. We had no problems using the wifi in our room. The pool needs some TLC. The breakfast was included and is set up in a nice new eating area that included all the usual fare that suits our family for a quick breakfast before we hit the road.

Excellent service. this was 2nd night staying at BW and service of desk clerk was excellent. Would stay at BW again. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Close to restaurant. Would highly recommend this hotel

This place had everything we were looking for! Indoor pool, fitness center, and nice rooms. I only wish I had more time to enjoy all the amenities. There was even a grocery store within walking distance of the hotel with great deals on fresh fruit. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at this motel with a pet and were very pleased with the room and facilities. The breakfast was especially good. Being a pet friendly facility, there was a nice safe place to walk our dog and the room worked well for pets.

Rooms recently refurbished. Clean, neat and tidy rooms with top amenities. Free breakfast and wifi. Reception team very helpful and friendly. Would recommend to everyone. Route 66 friendly and close to the town and freeway.

Spent the one night here while travelling Route 66 and the rooms were clean and and bathroom had not long been renovated. Breakfast room clean and we'll set out with a good choice of foods. Reception staff friendly and welcoming would stay here again.

We stayed here last night and this was our (5) time to stay here! We have our dog and the hotel charges $10.00 extra for him! This is a fair price for a pet! The hotel room is large and clean and the staff is always friendly and nice. Breakfast is well done with fruit and HOT COFFEE....!! Will always stay here when traveling thru Texas!

We have stayed here several times and have enjoyed our stay. The people are friendly and we are made to feel welcome. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. There is a nice family restaurant across the parking lot with reasonable prices. We will stay here again if we come by this way next year.

This is a very nice hotel off the interstate and near a small town on Route 66. The hotel is clean both inside and out. The rooms are large. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful. We would stay here again

I made a habit of staying at Comfort Inns for the past 10 years,then I got sick of their "GO Nowhere!" rewards program and stayed at a Best Western that I booked online.What a nice hotel!Beautiful comfortable room with an easy chair and ottoman to relax in after the hard road. What a pleasure! Great bed ,great pool and Hot tub, and great breakfast. My only complaint was ruff towels-get fabric softener! Definitely consider this Hotel.I'll be back!

Was visiting Shamrock for a sports event. Considered some of the quaint motor lodges on the old Route 66 in town, but chose the Best Western hoping for a better night's sleep. The room was very comfortable and extremely quiet given the location along I-40. The complimentary breakfast bar was standard Best Western fare with the exception of warm flour tortillas which were a very nice (and tasty) surprise. Shamrock is an interesting Route 66 town worth stopping to take a look, even if you don't stay the night. I'll be back and will stay here again.

Just off of I 40 and a nice stop after nine hours of driving. Shamrock is more an intersection of highways than an actual place so not much to do once you get there. Breakfast was well appointed and the wifi was quick. Our view was a residential neighbour's back yard.

This was my second stay ever at a Best Western--my experience in Blackwell, OK was so good I decided to give another one a try. This one was a little more pricey, and I'm not sure why--but still, just under 3 figures. Well worth it, again. Large room, large TV with plenty of channels, accommodating staff who happily placed me in an easy access room and suggested eateries...very happy with my two BW experiences, and I do plan to stay in them again (assuming the keep the prices under 3 figures...I don't care if it's $99...which is double what I've paid until this past trip, ever...it's worth it to pay more and have peace, quiet, and comfort.

Room was clean, but near the lobby, so a little noisy. Breakfast was OK. Parking was limited. We had to park our truck & trailer on the street. The pool was closed, but charge for the room was not discounted.

This is a pleasant Best Western in a convenient place to stop along I 40 as we headed east. It was clean comfortable, but the mattress could have used updating. I am not sure why it is a Best Western Plus as it seemed just like a lot of the other inns we have stayed at.

The room was perfect. Large, comfy and very clean. Great bed, quiet surroundings we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was good with lots of selections. Staff were polite and helpful. there was an elevator and baggage carts available for ease in settling in.

I called ahead while I was on the road and they made it very easy to request a pet room. My room was very well set up and my pet was very happy with the clean room to stay in. Was able to make this reservation on the road and no hassle with just letting them know about the time I would be there and no card to hold room!

We are celebrating our 30th anniversary by traveling to Sedona and Grand Canyon Area. We picked this hotel from all those in Shamrock because of amenities. The room was clean and slept well. However, the cost considering the pool and hot tub area were closed was too much. In the morning, the guest next to us had a dog barking like crazy. Really shouldn't book folks that close when hotel wasn't full. Felt terrible the lady trying to keep up on the food for breakfast. She tried so hard . The seating area was very cramped for the 6 tables. The dryer was also broken in the coin op room.

We were travelling Route 66 and decided to stop here for the night and they had a vacancy. The room was large and clean and the staff were amiable and helpful. Complimentary breakfast in the morning was the usual BW fayre and cannot be complained about. We did have a problem with flies in the room and asked at reception for some fly/bug spray, but were just told "we don't have any".

One of my favorite Best Western Pus hotels during this trip. The rooms were very comfortable, breakfast was good with a very clean area. All of the staff were professional and polite. At check in, the desk clerk Paige recommended the restaurant Mesquite Canyon Steak House located north of the hotel less than a mile. Great place to eat, I highly recommend it. They serve steak, chicken, and a variety of other foods. Like being at home atmosphere.

We stayed here in late September 2016. We did not make a reservation but was able to get a room. The location is right off the highway and easy to get to and get back on the highway. The room was an average room but the hotel staff were very nice. They recommended several places to eat dinner and gave us directions to a few local places. The breakfast was fresh and the morning staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

One think can be said for doing surveys they always want one but what do they offer after doing so many. What does it do for the Hotel and or the Customer? One The same questions appear on everyone and most of them want ask the right questions, how was the shower, the toilet, the carpet, the TV/Remote, the Ice Machine, ETC. Was the pool useable, warm ETC.

Stayed here in later September, 2016 while I was touring East-bound, Rt. 66. It has been years since I stayed at a Best Western; some good, some not very good. Since I was tired and it was almost dark, this was a good time to find a place. I did not make a reservation, but stopped in and asked to see a room (which I almost never do, but I had a poor experience at a hotel on Rt 66 in AZ). I was pleasantly surprised. I had previously stayed at two chain hotels the prior 2 nights and they were great. So, this property was just off the interstate, everything worked ok in the room; it was clean and up-to-date. Good amenities, check-in was good, quiet, comfortable room. Breakfast was ok and enough to get one back on the road. Shamrock was a delightful town the next day with good Rt. 66 sights and things to see. Great restored gas station almost next door which had a very good gift-shop and friendly folks running it. I ate about 9:30PM at the restaurant next door which was marginal at best and I was under the impression that it was about the only place in town that was open; my traveling companion is a vegetarian so that was a challenge for him. I would recommend this property and would stay there again.

My father, sister and 4 month old nephew stayed in a suite while passing through. It was so nice. We had plenty of room to set up the pack and play. The hot breakfast was good! (Biscuits, gravy, omelettes, bacon, sausage etc.) Would definitely stay here again!

While this may not sound like an exuberant endorsement, to say "I'd stay there again," really is. The room was comfortable, although the air conditioning unit was loud. The room had a refrigerator and microwave and the tv got lots of channels. The shower was really nice and the bathroom was big. The breakfast had the usual selection and was fine.

Best Western Plus hotels are always nice. All have free, yummy breakfasts as well. The only reason I didn't give this particular hotel 5 stars is because we asked for a wake-up call and we didn't get it. That's a problem when you are driving cross country and have a tight schedule.

Stayed one night during a cross country trip. Nice place. Had a large room with 2 queen beds and they were okay. Slept pretty good. Had a/c set on 68 but still got pretty warm. Just can't figure those things out. One place you'll freeze at 68 and the next place you'll burn up at 68. Right off the interstate which makes it easy to find. Nice breakfast of eggs, sausage and biscuits with a few bagels and cereal. Coffee was really good.

We were traveling thru Texas and wanted a place to stay for one night. The hotel was nice and while restaurants in town were limited, there was a family style place next to the hotel. The town offered some unusual tourist sites that were free and required a small amount of time to see: a piece of the Blarney Stone and a former gas station that was HWY66 related and was used in the CARS movie. I like small time required sites since they allow us to see something different and not take up much of our travel time.

We were pleasantly surprised with the friendly service and very good accommodations. I've never been in a room just off the lobby before, but it was kinda neat. Coffee and breakfast was right outside our door. Bed was very comfortable, room was quiet, no complaints.

Another road-trip last-minute reservation...the room was large, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was decent. Price was also comparable to other hotels that had somewhat less access and fewer room choices (no king beds, etc.). Staff was very helpful with several items. Room was clean, well stocked, and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was also clean and adequately sized. Room was also very quiet even though it is very close to I-40. Would stay here again.

We were very pleased with our stay at Best Western Plus in Shamrock. The information in the directory was very helpful and many choices were given on things to do and see. Very accommodating staff, comfortable bed and nice shower. The bed and shower are the "meat and potatoes" of a hotel and this one is A+++. The breakfast was hot and ready and the staff was friendly and helpful. We recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

We were attending my father's funeral and were NOT LOUD at all when the desk clerk told us to "use our library voices". We were making plans with the preacher. She was on her cell phone not the hotel phone. We will never stay there again.

So is the wifi, but it's so slow you're better off without it. It does have an indoor pool and there's a diner right across the street. There's also a small (4 pieces of equipment) fitness room. The rooms were actually quiet and reasonably clean. The staff wasn't super customer-friendly, but they apparently aren't used to large parties. Overall, it was OK and probably the best place to stay in Shamrock.

Stayed at the Best Western Plus in Shamrock, TX on our way home from a motorcycle trip to Santa Monica. Very nice place to stay - easily accessible from highway, clean and comfortable, accommodating staff, good amenities and great breakfast/breakfast service. Would stay there again if in the area. Negative points - limited restaurant options within walking distance from hotel; hi speed internet was very problematic.

Good location, friendly staff, quiet room, nice indoor pool and hot tub. At $98 for the standard room, I thought it was a bit high. Although this appears to be the nicest hotel in Shamrock. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. The included breakfast is typical of hotels serving complementary breakfasts. Overall, I guess I would stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel both times on our round trip from Arizona to St Louis and back. Both times we found it to be clean. The free breakfast was decent and the staff was friendly. We just needed a clean place to lay our heads before continuing our road trip and we found it here.

This hotel is pet friendly but be aware to ask if your room is one of those said pet rooms. We also then ran into a room that didn't have working air conditioning. Thought the bright side after driving from Santa Fe, NM would be having a chance to be on my iPad and enjoying some stuff there, but the wifi sucks! Doesn't work! Have had this issue way too often at BW.

We are traveling across county with two small dogs, and were happy to find this pet-friendly hotel. The room was very comfortable, with a king bed, sofa in front of the TV, and refrigerator. There is plenty of open space outside for dog-walking, and a grocery store within easy walking distance was an added convenience. Breakfast had many options. We took the yogurt & fruit, and the dogs got some bacon & eggs. Nice hot tub with strong jets, and the indoor pool was larger than most indoor hotel pools. Very friendly and caring staff. We will be back.

Excellent property in the process of new dressing-up. First Best Western, however, with no microwave and we have stayed in many. We had the only single bad experience we have ever had at the BW Plus Mark in Weatherford, OK by a very rude elderly lady wearing a GENERAL MANAGER badge in a small hotel in a very small town in Oklahoma...seems to love to assert her authority...do not recommend that anyone stay there.

After driving with my elderly handicapped mother for 10 hours and having a mixup at a different nearby hotel who ended up having no rooms, we were sent here by a third party booking. I was not feeling it to begin with so to be fair, if it wasn't up to other reviews I'd nit pick. Just being honest. Although DESK CLERK was very sweet and tried her best- CHECK-IN was gruelingly slow because she made a glitch and couldn't correct it. After abt 15 mins she finally said she'd let the manager deal with it in the morning. The ROOM: clean, but walls cracking in bath, smelled like a wet dog, and I never got nose blind to the smell- and front desk had no air freshener. BED: was a cheat; not as comfortable as they hoped, cutting the corners they did, and the PILLOWS are all fat spongy type. Faking real comfort hoping no one notices. I may have gotten 3 hours of restless sleep all night, off and on. BREAKFAST: It was similar to gas station food. One bite of the eggs and I felt ill with the slimy fake cheese. STAFF: Passed several maids and breakfast person and not one was friendly enough to say good morning. This is specifically why've did not choose this hotel to begin with, I'm always willing to pay an extra $10-15 for better beds, rooms, service. I paid MORE or as much for this hotel (not my 1st choice) as I did for the much nicer, prime location, elaborate breakfast, superb bedding hotels we stayed at!! See pics for proof (San Diego Bay front embassy suites was LESS!! Wyndham Hilton Riverfront was LESS! Boutique hotel in Penn was LESS! All 3+ hotels!!) I wouldn't be this upset had I paid half what I did for this side of the road 2 star motel.

This is always our first stop headed out west from Memphis and it never disappoints. Rooms are spacious, staff is friendly, pool and hot tub are large, continental breakfast is just that. Across the street from a neat local yocal bar and a good family restaurant.

Overall, a VERY nice place. The room was comfortable, clean and fresh. The hotel was well maintained. Used the pool and that was well maintained. Breakfast was complete and tasty. Very nicely located just off the freeway and in the proximity of several restaurants.

Wasn't expecting much from such a small town but really a quality hotel. Nice amenities and clean. Comfortable bed and good breakfast in morning with really helpful staff. Asked for handicap accommodations and room close to parking for easy access and was able to get it. Would stay again when passing through.

Don't stay here if you want a clean room and the room of choice that you made when you made your reservation! We were forced to take a more expensive room even though we made reservations ahead of time. This hotel was so dirty as were the folks at the front desk! We were not helped at all. It was take this room or continue down the road! They were not friendly nor busy whenever we came by them. If the hotel was so full our reserved room was given away there should have been more cars in the parking lot! We won't be staying at Best Western's again and will not recommend them to anyone who asks about our trip.

Just off I-40, easy on and off, this hotel is like an oasis in a rather dry environment. They had lovely flowers starting to bloom (it was spring) and really pretty exterior that was inviting. Room was clean, good beds, great shower and spacious but poorly planned as the computer chair blocked the path through the room. Good breakfast (they had sausage and BACON) plus the ladies taking care of it were really clean plus friendly. Will stay there again.

We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. When we left, we signed up for their member benefits and stayed at two more Best Western hotels on our way home. We had two cats that traveled with us and the cost for them was very reasonable. Room was comparable to other higher priced hotels.

There is a market located just behind this Best Western, convenient for snacks etc. Gas station across the street, easy fill up, all located on Hwy 40 easy access. Good breakfast, workout room and quiet at night

East bound on I-40 I saw a sign for the Best Western in Shamrock, TX at approximately exit 80. The motel was at exit 163. About every 10 miles as it was getting closer & closer to midnight I past a sign for the motel. By the time I got there I was dead tired, almost too tired to relax or sleep. After a hot bath I laid down only to wake up to the alarm going off. Can't tell you about the rest of the motel.

need signs to find elevator on the floors when at staying in upper floor rooms. exterior signs should be out in the open and not behind shrubs or trees. would be nice to have the room numbers larger and in hallways showing which way to the different rooms.

I want to give a quick update...we stayed here last here on our way back to Wisconsin. This year we stayed on our way out to Arizona. Again, very clean, comfortable beds(which we needed after driving 16 hours)! Very consistent, the breakfast was good and hot being the normal buffet style. I suggest a reservation, it seems to fill up. Also, pet friendly with a very nominal fee of $10. We've found fees up to $50. My only comment is friendly welcome when checking in.....not friendly!

We have stayed here before and it is always nice and clean.It has comfortable beds and it is very clean.It is quite and a friendly staff.The price is good with AARP. It has a nice pool and a very nice breakfast area.We will stay here again for sure.

Stayed here on road trip from MI to AZ. I'd rate this a 5 but the pool was not working and I needed it for medical reasons. They did not disclose this when I called ahead for room and they did not discount the price which was high to begin with. Rooms were clean, quiet, comfortable and the breakfast was great. Restaurant selections were limited for dinner. We ate at the Mesquite Canyon and it was good.

This hotel is conveniently located close to the highway. The rooms were very quiet and nicely decorated. We usually go to the deli at a grocery store for dinner and there is one right next door. The gas station is across the street. There is a nice pool and hot tub. The jets on the hot tub were excellent. The breakfast is your typical hotel breakfast but very adequate for our needs.

Our stay at this hotel was enjoyable. We did not have reservations, so we were glad that they had a room. The hotel was very clean and the staff was really nice and polite. the only draw back was the elevator had just gone out. But I'm sure they had it fixed.

The entire staff was super friendly. We stayed there with our two small dogs. There were many other pet owners in our section of the hotel. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. They offer a continental breakfast with eggs and bacon and sausage etc. which was quite delicious and fresh. Very nice place to stay. I have to stay that the kindness of the staff really set them over and above for us.

Perfect stop for a cross-country road trip. We simply needed a place to sleep on a long stretch between Nashville, TN and Santa Fe, NM. This place popped up right after driving into Texas. Clean, comfortable, convenient.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable The staff were friendly and professional. Enjoyed a good hearty breakfast in the morning with a great cup of coffee. Breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful.

I am a loyal Best Western Rewards Member. I only stop when a BW is near a freeway, and this one is right off the exit on Interstate 40. This one was a BW+. Great location, nice, clean place to stay for you and/or your family. Nice indoor pool, with hot tub. Average area for dining selection, but felt safe throughout my stay.

Traveling West on interstate 40 entering Texas, the Best Western Plus at Shamrock, Texas is a great place to stay. Shamrock is an interesting place to visit and the BW Plus is a very good rest stop. I have stopped here many times and each time it just seems to get better.

We stopped for the night at the Best Western in Shamrock, TX on our way to the Grand Canyon. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel for such a relatively small town. There were several good restaurants close by also.

I called the motel while driving from Moab Utah to Shawnee, OK. David answered and said they had vacancies so when we arrived 30 minutes later, David greeted us. The motel lobby was very nice. David offered to let us see a room before we checked in, but based on the lobby we left comfortable checking is. David was very friendly and gave us a recommendation for dinner. The room was nicely furnished, clean, quiet and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights rest.

this is a clean place to stay but that is all you get . no coffee in the pm or the early am. I f you leave early you get nothing, to eat or drink.. not even a muffin or coffee. the pool was closed so all we got for our very high rate was a clean bed and a grumpy clerk in the morning..

I was a little disappointed with the "Plus" rating of this hotel, as it is in the process of renovation. The exterior is in rough shape, with cracked walls, raw concrete patches, broken metal railings and the pool closed for cleaning and repair. Inside was OK, but my room and bath needed more attention to dusting. The bath was clean, but had a towel rack that was beginning to sag and was showing signs of rust and tile molding on the floor near the tub had been sloppily repaired. The King bed was comfortable and the room had all the usual amenities, but the A/C didn't work properly and I had to set it at 68 to keep it on. The room door squeaked loudly when opened and closed. My 3rd floor room was very quiet, even located next to the elevator. As others have said, I didn't find the staff overly welcoming. Breakfast options included bacon or sausage, pre-made "Omelets", pastries, fresh fruit, and waffles. My rating was due to the advertised level of the hotel not meeting my overnight experience.

The hotel did not have any regular rooms; although a suite was available. It was a nice stay; although the internet did not work well there and the hotel's internet was having problems as well. The pool was getting painted or cleaned.
