    « Location!!! »

Close to a lot of areas- itaewon, hongik univ, etc.. very conveniently located. 5-10 min walk to subway and various food options right behind the hotel. Clean, safe area at night and easy access to cabs and buses too. Will def comeback.

    « Rated Worst Hotel in Mapo-Gu »

After being greeted by the hotel reception at the desk, that was pretty much where service ended. One room key was given even though there were two occupants. Specifically checked if breakfast for two was included, acknowledged by staff and confirmed, but Guess whAt? Next morning, I was told I had to pay for another guests. That's crazy when there were two guests in the room. Absurd. Next, business hotel charging for toothbrush and toothpaste. Are you serious? Razors as well-please refer to pictures. Room ventilation was poor and did not accommodate for all guests-types. Window opening was a mere 2inch and they claimed "its winter". There was a difference between warmth and suffocation. They took a fan in, which stopped working at night. Reason given next morning "we seldom use it". Travelling monthly to Korea, id tell you to skip this hotel. Especially when you have a business meeting at 9am, it spoils any chances of closing that important deal. Room also reeks of smoke. Final advice, stick with Marriott group or Lotte. It will not disappoint you. Even boutique hotels like hotel loft are better.

« Nice hotel and breakfast except for the room temperature »

It is a nice hotel in a great location with a good breakfast selection but the temperature is centrally controlled and rooms are very warm. The only option is to open the window or keep a fan running.

    « Good »

Good location near to financial district. staff were friendly and helpful. They speak fluent English. Room was clean and comfort. Starbucks and coffee beans are near to the hotel which good for coffee lovers.

« Well located and good for business »

The hotel is nicely located closed to the tube station (served by 4 lines). Perfect for access to and from the Incheon airport: - direct tube line - 2 different shuttle busses (Hotel Limousine Bus and Airport Express Bus) with stops RIGHT in front of the hotel. Small rooms but super clean, modern and functional. Everything works simply and efficiently. Nice buffet breakfast. Plenty of little local restaurants in the nearby side streets. If your wifi is a bit slow in the room, ask for an extra router and it'll be perfect !

« High cost performance hotel »

It is the reason for my reservation that my friend lives close to this hotel. The location of this hotel is convenient for easy access to both the central part of Seoul and the airports. Tall buildings for business, good restaurants, cafes and bars are surrounding this hotel. Though the building of the hotel is old, interiors are clean and good due to often renovations. This hotel shall be a candidate at my next visit to Seoul.

« A centrally located & comfortable stay in Seoul »

We stayed as a family group of 10 at Best Western Premier Seoul Garden Hotel for our final 2 nights from 9 October and were allocated to 5 deluxe rooms on the 5th floor. It was a very pleasant two night stay at a very convenient location. There are plenty of eatery within walking distance from the hotel. Upside: - complimentary fast internet in-room - Good facilities for USB charger with international power adaptor too, quite rare in Korea (photo) - One of the most high tech & comprehensive Japanese style toilet seat with bidet, dryer & washer function etc (photo) - Two complimentary bottle of water daily - Buffet breakfast has good range and good space to cater for big groups Downside - Basic toilet amenities are complimentary BUT the basic razor & toothbrush are chargeable items so avoid if possible - room is a very space saver design, with the wash basin located outside in the room next to the fridge & bed, while the bathroom contains just the shower & toilet. - room's space saver design means no closet door, only a curtail sheet that you can draw close & open Overall, a good & comfortable stay.

    « Excellent Value »

Took an orange taxi from ICN, it was 55k. I made arrangements with the driver to pick me up Friday at 5pm in the same spot for 55k too. Worked perfectly. The hotel itself is not in much of a touristy area, but I was here for work. It's close to Yeoido, but cheaper than those hotels and really only one metro stop away. The breakfast buffet was awesome and has private rooms available for rent for business breakfasts. The room was nice enough, the shower was not ideal though. Just could not get the strength that I typically prefer. The safe is large enough for a laptop. I did not have much interaction with the staff, but they were all very courteous. On Friday afternoon, after work, but before the taxi, I asked if there was a place I could change into street clothes for travel. The concierge let me use his office which was very nice. Across the street is a McDonald's and a decent foot massage place too. On the winding streets behind the hotel I guarantee you'll find almost anything you need. If you need to be in this location for work, it's a really good place.

« optimum location, great comfort & service »

first stop from icn airport by limosine, needed no help to reach venue. pleasant , prompt service, excellent co-operation and advice in local sight-seeing, and the food & wine is simply great! the chef helps you know the dishes well, esp shrimps, king crab & lamb. and they overcome the language difficulties with ease.

« Nice location for quick visit to Seoul »

Was here for one night for a conference. Was a easy KAL Limosine ride from ICN airport believe the KAL limo bus was #6702. Hotel check in was quick. Room was nice overlooking the busy Mapo area. McDonalds was across the street for the early morning jetlagged need for food and quick wifi. The hotel did have free wifi. The work out room was small but had 2 treatmills that worked great. Overall a very good reasonable priced hotel in Seoul.

« Great location, Beautiful Hotel »

The location of this hotel is very convenient. It is within a taxi ride to all the major areas (Gangnam, Itaewon, etc.) while also being along the airport bus route. The hotel is actually the last hotel pickup for the airport bus before it hits the highway to Incheon, so once you get on the bus it's smooth sailing to the airport. The hotel is modern, with a nice lobby and good sized rooms. The rooms are very clean and modern. I've stayed at this hotel 3x and have always enjoyed it. They also have in-room massage available provided by blind masseurs (Korean regulations).

    4
    « Modern and comfortable »

Large hotel, probably mainly aimed at the business travellers. Comfortable rooms with good beds, air-condition, fridge and lots of gimmicks (the toilet comes woth an oprating manual!). Close to metro and airport train station, lots of restaurants in the vicinity. Somewhat unpersonal, but that has to be expected in a large house.

    4
    « Dining out »

The dinner buffet you should try. The restaurant La Stella prepares for its hotel guests, of course, every body is invited to join, a enjoy full dinner buffet. Antipasti and dessert section makes people happy. Main corse, soup and also some sashimi are available. It's worth visiting this place.

« clean, free bottled water, good AC, clean bathroom, modern decor, comfortable bedding »

My family and I stayed here in August 2016 in a 1 bedroom suite on the 16th (top) floor.  If you are from the US, and you willingly forget what you know about the Best Western brand, and you ignore the few signs in the lobby and the few labels on the towels, slippers and free toiletries (the razors and toothbrushes are for sale but they are clearly marked so), you could easily imagine yourself being at a Grand Hyatt or Hilton.  Apparently, not all Best Westerns are equal, and there is something to the formal name of this hotel, 'Best Western Premier'. The rooms (and hallways) were recently renovated and are spacious.  The furnishings are modern and well maintained.  And both televisions were large, new flat panels, one in the living area and the other in the bedroom.  The bedding was very comfortable (no saggy zones), and the sheets and pillows were soft.  The bathroom was very clean and I absolutely loved the deep bathtub, separate shower with nice controls, good water pressure, and shower handle.  Most, I loved the smart toilet with bidet, auto flush, seat warming, and gentle drying mechanism for your backside.  The room cleaning service was excellent, our daily chambermaid always had a smile.  Bottled water was complimentary and plentiful, which is HUGE if you are shy about drinking the local water while you acclimate; we had enough bottles to hydrate at the hotel and pack a couple for day excursions.  The AC was awesome and the two (yes, two zones) thermostats were quite user friendly and accurate (some numbers skip in F because of the conversion from C; it's not broken). I do think the gym could use improvement, and the buffet can get monotonous, though it is very tasty and the variety is good if you are open to Korean / Asian food.  As important, I never got sick once and I thought the prices were fair.  As stated, the hotel is very clean and you can tell the staff takes great pride in doing a good job. The hotel is well placed across the river from the 'Yoeido' area and a huge mall a bit farther south called Times Square.  Nearby to the NW is the very fashionable Hongdae area, which is known for its hip and young vibe, as it is near a few universities.  Cabs are cheap by American and other city standards, and the subway (Mapo) is a 2 minute walk.  Basically, this hotel, though not much to do within an immediate 3-4 block radius, is quite accessible to diversions.  The Han River is also quite close, where you can walk, bike, and do other fun stuff.  I quite liked the quieter location, especially traveling with young kids, as the busier areas can feel 'too busy' after a while. Though I do like to stay at 4 and preferably 5 star hotels, I honestly did not feel like I was wanting for anything.  Yes, you usually do get what you pay for, but I don't think paying 50% more would have improved my room.  Some of the very upscale hotels might have a better gym or more restaurants or even a department store attached, but I very much loved my clean room with free bottled water, good AC, clean bathroom, modern decor, comfortable bedding, etc...

    « Good business hotel »

The rooms are small in size which are fine for business trips but might not be apt for family trips. Good connectivity to the whole city through the subway stations, there are 2 stations close to the hotel. Though, there are fair number of eateries around the Hotel, I would suggest one travels to Hongdae for more options which is just 1 or 2 stations away by subway train. The staff, speaks fluent English and, is very warm and friendly. Elaborate breakfast spread. All in all a good experience

    « It's good,but need some improvements »

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The interior is modern and good. The room is kinda small, but have a pretty unique interior. Staffs are very friendly and they speak English fluently. You can find 24 hours convenience store near the hotel. Breakfast choice is pretty wide. It tastes pretty good. They need to improve their facilities, like room service.I think it needs to change the service to 24 hours service. They need to improve their breakfast menu too. Overall is a pleasant stay!

« First Class Stay for First Visit to Seoul!!! »

Our stay was memorable. We appreciated the English speaking employees. This hotel had easy and very close access to eateries, coffee, 711 mini stores, subways, taxis and our limo bus back to Incheon Airport. We are retirees from Wisconsin and our visit will be one that we treasure and we hope to return soon!!!

    « Dependable and comfortable »

Nice hotel used by both business travelers and tourists, not right in downtown but easily accessible to whole city by subway and bus, 1 stop from ICN on airport buses. Rooms recently refurbished and very clean, WiFi works well. All in all good value though personally I skip the hotel breakfast (may be expensive if not in your package) in favor of local coffee shops nearby. Staff are friendly and efficient.

    « Business hotel »

This looks like a hotel for people on business in Seoul. The room is clean and well furnished. The toilet has the amazing Smartlet - just press a few buttons and it will take good care of you :-) There are two train stations - on the left and right of the hotel. We walked about 10 minutes to the station on the right to get to Myeongdong for shopping at night. At the back of the hotel is a street full of restaurants offering Korean BBQ, fried chicken and beer - just nice for after-dinner drinks or supper. Will stay at this hotel when I next visit Seoul.

« good quality, right price »

is not the most elegant one of Seoul, however is a good hotel with a good compromise between quality, service and cost. i would recommend it, very close to the metro and in an area with man restaurants and bars. the breakfast is not superb, however complete.

    « Disappointing... »

I wasn't glad, that I chose this hotel. Small room, sink in the corridor?!?, no shower cabin only a curtain in bathtube... and at the end: razors and dental sets for sale! It wasn't for sure 5*... disappointing expirience - last Best Western Arirang was a star better...

    « Good location »

Stayed here for my company assignment with a group of 25. The hotel location is convenient as i can take the subway from mapo to myeongdong, dongdaemum and even other stations which are further away. During my free day, i had my early breakfast in the hotel and explore the hotel surrounding. In front of the hotel, there is mcdonalds fastfood and behind the hotel, there are alot of shops like korea food, fried chicken, chinese cuisine etc. I do not need to worry that i will go hungry... Hahaha And just a walking distance away from the left, you can view the scenic hangang river at one sight. :) The room is fine with me and is clean. I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Thank you so much for the services. :)

« Well located and clean »

The Hotel is well located in Mapo. Restaurants, bars and Shopping is easy to reach. Getting a taxi is no Problem at all. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The Hotel Restaurant has a good and reasonable buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    « Not good service »

Small room, spotty internet; beware of the extra charges of things like toothbrushes and razors. Seoul hotels usually provide complimentary toothbrushes, this one charges you without clearly marking them as chargeable. Best Western Premiers usually come with complimentary breakfasts; this one doesn't.

« Nice and good location »

Positive : 1) Good & convenient location in Seoul : - Mapo Subway Station at 2-3 min walk and Gongdeok at 5 min walk (which has the direct train to Incheon Airport at about 50-55 min) - easy to move around the different activities with the subway - many coffee shops, groceries (7/11, GS25 ...), restaurants and bars around the hotel for people who want to stay close from the hotel after long & tiring days ... 2) Very nice & helpful staff 3) Room was clean and bed comfy Negative : 1) Despite high-floor room and sound-proofing, the room was a bit noisy due to the car traffic of the main street (I am a light sleeper) but anyway, I did rest well after long days of activities and walking. However, I would recommend to ask for back-street room for light sleepers. 2) Breakfast buffet was nice but a bit expensive (especially when there is no way to get any hot chocolate ... which is quite surprising for a hotel ...) Remarks : we had the room 1422 which is on the 14th floor (out of 15), giving on the main street and at the end of the corridor (so far from the elevator and no noise from people walking & talking in the aisles). Despite sound-proofing, some background noise from car traffic in the main street but NOT troubling for "normal"sleeper. However, ask back-street room if you are a light sleeper.

    « Acceptable »

Room was very clean. WiFi worked well enough. The location is good, many taxis to be found and subway station close. Minor gripe, staff just OK,no problems but not very friendly either. To echo some others on here if your not a businessman I don't think they care much. Room service menu just so so, compensated by lots of local choices right behind the hotel. Also toothbrushes in the room are charged extra for, not a deal breaker by any means but a little 'cheap' given the price of the room. My advice is the same as many on here, if your staying for business it does the job but I wouldn't choose it again.

    5
    « Good memories at a nice place~~ »

recommend not only staying at a room but also enjoying very nice restaurants personlly..I like Buffe restaurant...'La Stella'.. you can enjoy so many choices for palatable foods with a reasonable price and get a good services from all staffs~ ^^

« Prime location where all the great food are »

If I were to name one reason why I like this hotel, it will be because of its prime location where all the great food are. You can find many convenience stores and eateries around the hotel, especially at the back alley. Other than that, I like the hotel breakfast spread where you can choose the different cooking methods for your eggs. The hotel room is much smaller compare to other hotels that we stayed in Korea, but it is very clean and cozy. Definitely there are sufficient spaces to open two 29 inches luggage at one time. You may be amazed by the design of the room, where the basin was built outside the bathroom. Just have to get use to it for your toilet routine.

« Well located and clean »

The Hotel is well located in Mapo and gives easy access to Bars and Restaurants and Shopping areas. Incheon Airport and Gimpo Airport can be reached within one hour easily. The rooms are clean and have reasonable size.

« Good 4-star hotel. Review includes a few local dining options »

Good points: - recently refurbished - spacious lobby - near two Metro lines - competent, friendly reception and concierge staff - fast wifi - room heating is easy to control, and the window can be opened - tea / coffee-making facilities and fridge - room size is OK, with comfortable bed (not the ultra-hard type so common in Korea) - bathroom has a tub and an auto-wash toilet - room lighting has variations for all moods and occasions - good management response to complaints or problems. Not so good: - breakfast room can get very busy, with a queue for the espresso machines - some dishes in the breakfast and dinner buffet are overcooked or recycled, and the general quality is only average - not many good restaurants within walking distance, unless you like local food and understand the menu. Nearby eating suggestions: - breakfast: Paris Baguette, behind the hotel - dinner: Etz Chayyim Italian, in the block opposite on the second floor - burgers: MacDonalds, opposite - coffee: Starbucks, one block up on the right (and several other coffee options nearby - going native: lots of different Korean places in the warren of streets behind the hotel.

    « Very nice hotel!! »

Very nice and cozy hotel!! Superb location central of Seoul and just 2mins away from alleys of foods and subway station! And of cause free wifi is provided. And there's bathtub as well. Overall very happy with my stay here. Oh and pls bring along your own toothbrush and toothpaste as I think they do charge for that?!

    « Perfekt location - great service »

I stayed at Best Western Premier Seoul Garden in December for 3 busy days. Room, Concierge and service was perfect. Nice and likeable Staff. They also have a nice Gym. They have a splendid Buffet twice a week - do not miss it! I will indeed be back?? Thanks to all of the passioned Staff.

« Great Property for Business Travellera »

The Best Western Premier Seoul Garden Hotel is a great property for business travelers and provides comfortable rooms and fast Internet. The only complaint I have with the hotel is the air conditioning which appears to be fixed at 25'c, far to warm to comfortably sleep during the summer.

    4
« Very clean and modern »

I spent just 1 night here. I had a very good experience. Check in at 2. Will hold your bags. Concierge service is very good. Provided umbrella, maps, tips and advice. The rooms were very modern and clean. The toilet is a little crazy, it has a remote control like nothing I've ever seen before, check the photo! Shower was decent, as was internet connection and tv access. My only complaint was my own inability to manage the room temperature which Seemed stuck at 25C... Didn't try the hotel food, as behind the hotel (right out of doors, right immediately after hotel, next left) is a wide choice of locally frequented Korean restaurants, including the traditional BBQ. About a 3 min walk from line 5 Mapo underground station (exit 3). Or 5-7 min from Gongdeok station (exit 10 or near) (many lines, including the airport rail link from both Incheon, Seoul station, and gimpo). Would stay again.

« Great and Nice stay! »

Stayed one night as part of our 7-day group tour. The hotel is good, nice and clean. Room size is ok because it is in Seoul. There are free instant coffee and tea bags, 2 free bottles of water, and kettle in room, + free in room Wi-Fi. The breakfast is good+ and more western style, breakfast seating area is nice too. Overall is a 4 stars hotel. The street behind the hotel, there are a lot of restaurants, the famous Korean Paris Baguette, Korean fried chicken?TRY the Korean fried chicken (fried without a lot of flour batter). We ordered one (~17,000 W) with two tastes - regular and hot & spicy, enough for two people; BUT need to wait between 20-40 minutes. **Bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste or razor!! Not like other countries in Asia (Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China?), most of the Korean hotels don't provide those or you buy at $$$ from hotel. ** If you love shopping - most of the local stores or shops, even the large department stores will be closed for 2 days during the Mid-Autumn festival or Seollal Holidays (Chinese New Year) .

    3
    « Well located »

The hotel is well located in Mapo. Easy access to bars and restaurants and as well good connections to the airports. Rooms are in good condition and the beds are very comfortable. Check in and check out is easy goind and the staff is friendly and helpful. Acces to a small business center is granted.

    « Business type hotel »

Rooms are average, low ceiling, small bathroom, clean, new furniture.Rooms have low ceilings.Breakfast is rich and very tasty but the breakfast room in not enough, especially between 07:00 and 08:00 a.m

« if all staff would be that nice! »

Vakue for money hotel. Location a bit further away from center, but price compensates a lot. Staff is really helpfull. Rooms are spacious enough and very well maintained. The buffet restaurant in the evening is worth testing. I enjoyed it a lot. Great selection, prime taste and quality

« Solid Business Type Hotel »

The hotel is nice, everything worked (though I suspect the AC thermostat in my room was only for my amusement as the temp stayed the same even when I changed it) and the important wifi was stable and fairly fast. The bed was comfortable, staff and housekeeping good. The Mapo subway station is very close so the city is easily accessed and airport bus stop is right in front. One note: My Korean contacts booked this hotel for me but it was at a rate that was $30 per night above what I could have booked it online at the Best Western site.
