Best Western Grand Victorian Inn

We stayed at the Grand Victorian Inn for one night while visiting relatives in the area. It is a clean and well maintained hotel, with a laundry room, a pool and gym. It is a new modern building, absolutely nothing Victorian about it. A pleasant stay at a reasonable price.

Easy to check in and out. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. I did not have breakfast this time but I have many times in the past and I am always pleased. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed at the best Western in Sayre Pa, my son was having surgery and having immediate follow-up appointment the next day. Room was perfect for my family. Pool and hot tub was really nice. Good price.

Such a bad experience….and this particular hotel used to be SUPERB, I even had my wedding reception there. Our room was freezing cold! It was -30° for the first few nights of the stay. We woke up to the windows of our room covered in so much ice on the inside (our actual room side). We changed rooms and those windows wouldn't even stay closed, they were held together with a wire. I had to buy duct tape and use a bunch of towels to help. The jacuzzi was disgusting and when we got out our fingernails were dark green!! And washing them didn't help! I called today to see if we could perhaps get a free night's stay (or any compensation) because there's not much to choose from in the Sayre, PA area that isn't outright scary, but the General Manager laughed at my request, was completely rude…and then HUNG UP on me! Coming from the hotel/restaurant business, this was an absolutely horrific way to treat a customer. Please view photos!

all hotel areas were fresh and clean... includeing the pool, fitness center and especially the breakfast area and food supplied was fresh and refilled as needed. No empty dishes. Our meeting room and banquet area roomy and well arranged... banquet buffet was very good, sufficient supply of everything, tasted very good.

This was the BEST Best Western we've stayed at! Excellent value for the price. The Hotel is lovely and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, fresh and the bed was exceptional. It was mobility accessible, and I give the property high marks for having a grab bar next to the commode, A grab bar to step into the shower/ tub, and 2 grab bars in the shower/ tub area. Excellent all the way around. We will definitely stay again!

We had a king room on the 2nd floor, the room was clean including carpet, behind and under furniture. The bed was comfortable. There were plenty of outlets. Air conditioner worked fine. The pool was clean and heated. Breakfast had the usual waffles plus eggs and sausage.

Mega business traveler here...mostly Hilton/Marriott. Stayed here because it was almost half the price and wasn't planning to stay long. I'm pleased with the cleanliness...I feel like sometimes you get less consistency BW or Choice. But...blown away by the mini fitness club in this place. It's very comparable to a YMCA from 20 years ago. Plenty of free weights and machines. They aren't new, but they work as well or better than some of the newer equipment I see in hotel gyms today. They even have 2 handball courts! If you appreciate great hotel gyms and don't mind the older, but still functional equipment...this place is awesome.

Not very friendly the room was not very clean or what you would expect from the pictures they give from Google when booking. the breakfast was horrible bad experience for a hotel from my experience staying in other places

Great location right off the Interstate. Sam's bar and Becky's diner were excellent places to eat. The hotel bar and lounge was excellent. Keep in mind that it's not a restaurant. Bar food only! The bartender handled the after party from a wedding with great composure! The staff were very friendly and the facility was clean and inviting. Would highly recommend!

From the cleanliness to the top notch customer service you get, this is by far the best hotel hands down! You feel like your part of the family and they'll do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

It's a gong show of incompetence between both the staff & guests as it's a mad max level free for all for waffles. Items are not restocked enough, quality is awful. Worst Best Western I've ever stayed at. Gym and pool are available for non guests so it makes for a ridiculousness of random ppl throughout the hotel. Constant reminders that the hotel “is not responsible for stolen items”. Camera throughout the building point it hotel room doors, this with the warnings above leave a safety concern. Changed rooms multiple times to deal with mildew, mould, and running toilets so loud you could hear it in other rooms. Can't leave the windows open to mask the smell because they have no screens and it's a marshy area so bugs galore. AC/heater and fridge are so loud that adults can sleep through them. Awful. The hotel reeks of mildew and mould, the hotel is also filthy. This was by far my worst stay with BW, absolute dump with staff that openly tell you how awful their job/life is (I wish I was kidding). Oh and the pool/hot tub are disgusting, no way these cloudy pools of filth aren't riddled with bacteria. DO NOT STAY @ THIS ROADSIDE FREAKSHOW.

It's a terrible thing when you're on a trip and you have to pay these high prices just to sleep but then when they overcharge and double charge that's even worse and then you can't get any satisfaction so now I have to go to my credit card company and I have to dispute the charges

Come from NJ and we stay here every year to play golf at nearby courses. Our rooms are always very clean and the staff is always pleasant. I screwed up my reservation and Mark was very helpful in resolving the issue. Will definitely stay here again.

The price was very fair, considering it was a Saturday night. The girl at the front desk was super friendly and answered every question I had. It was a pleasant experience for my daughter and I. We will definitely be a returning customer.

because you don't want people just walking into your room randomly or having the police called on you only for them to leave and the hotel still won't offer an apology. Basic room, small tv, terrible view (you get a beautiful view of the Dandy across the street), different random prices then what is advertised and for the weekend. 119 (Friday) 140 (Sat) 125 (Sun)

We used this motel for pre and post procedure at Robert Packer Hospital. I booked the room online (best Price) only to find out that if I call called the motel and informed them of the reason for the stay I would have received a discount, even though they would not give me the discount. Because I hadn't booked it that way.It was while I was checking in that they told me this. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly. I would use them again in the future.

My family loves staying and they work with you to make sure everything is good. They make sure everything is working for you and make sure you always are happy which always are. Definitely a 10/10……..

There was a strange musky odor in the lobby, hallway and room. The bed sheets had several holes somewhat shredded in spots which really grossed me out. The towels were a mix match and had stains. I could not wait to get out of this place and will never go back.

An older hotel but it was decently clean. Pool and hot tub were good temps. No pool towels at pool, have to ask at front desk. A strange odor in halls and rooms, could be the type of cleaning product used (not sure what it was due to). Breakfast was average.

I had a very bad experience at this hotel. I was traveling with my son for my 70th birthday we arrived at the hotel around 4 pm and checked in As soon as we got off of the elevator on the 3rd floor we were faced with paint carts in the hall and several large exhaust fans blowing. There were 3 men painting the hallway. I did not think about it until a while later when I developed a massive headache and began to feel sick to my stomach. I attempted to open a window which was screwed shut and the bathroom had no exhaust fan. I paid an increased price for the room due to the holiday weekend and it was Saturday night. I did not expect to be staying in a work zone! Why would they paint on Saturday evening on a busy weekend???That floor should have been closed off while the painting was being done. It is clearly in violation of OSHA regulations to have that painting being done in an unventilated area. as well as a health hazard to someone like myself who suffers from a heart condition and COPD. I was under the impression from the website that there were no rooms available so I just went to sleep and made the best of a bad situation. I spoke to the front desk in the morning and was told "next time let us know and we can change the room". Clearly there will not be a next time. they made no attempt to rectify "this time!" i feel I could have been offered a discount on the room rate because I paid an increased rate to begin with but they never addressed that option. I left a response to their survey when I got home and received a computer generated apology from the GM and promptly called him to discuss the matter I left a message and was not even given the courtesy of a return phone call. VERY poor customer relations! I will continue to voice my complaint to the appropriate channels and hope the situation will be addressed. I will add that the breakfast room was filthy and the food was cold.

Good Value for the money , needs a little updates, like repainting the hot tub, and replacing the old carpets inside the guest rooms . The hotel stay was enjoyable and wasn't to far from Binghamton University.

the front desk clerk was beyond rude and inappropriate, the room had stains on the walls, stains and holes in the sheets, there was a dirty sock left in the room, and there were literally crumbs big enough to tell what food they were on the floor.

I enjoyed my stay here. We stayed here to visit Corning Museum, and the trip to/from was easy. The front desk staff were always courteous and the room was clean. Breakfast was included and was tasty and the staff made sure it was stocked. The bar was nice and the wings from the bar were tasty, but I wish they had more of a beer selection. I do wish the pillows were a bit firmer, but they worked well enough. We didn't use the pool or fitness room, but will next time we come here.

Dropped by here for an overnight stay win the way to NJ. The location is in the nice foot hills of the mountains. The price was right at $134 per night breakfast included. We waited a bit befoe=re we even saw anyone at the front desk to check in. The 1 person was probably wearing many hats. Inside rooms were average - bit dated and well worn - nothing grand or fancy. But it does have an inside pool and gym. The breakfast was standard but good enough. Worth considering.

The room was clean. The bed was a little to firm for me and the pillows went flat after a minute or 2. The carpets need to be replaced as they are worn (pattern missing in spots. There was the smell of smoke in my room upon arrival but air freshener worked well. Breakfast served 6:30-9 am was ok. The eggs are very bland but the rest (sausage, waffles, cereal, yogurt) is very good. They only have large tables so sitting by yourself at a table for 8 is weird. The lounge and only food on the property is only open 5pm - 9pm

Stayed here due to close proximity to the hospital. Room was clean, just freezing when I first got in it. Hall carpet could use some attention as well as the aquarium behind the desk. Nice hotel for the money. Lady who took my reservation the day before didn't have a name tag. Denise checked me in and she was helpful.

Good value for your money, although a little out of the way. Well priced if the area is convenient for your travels. We were going to Watkins Glen so it worked for us. Breakfast was included and ok but everything was a little cold.

Driving across country, I choose this location & had trouble finding it due to all the re-routing caused by construction. I called the Inn & Mark answered (who I found out later was the General Manager), became my personal GPS & guided me by phone to the driveway. (Talk about personal service). Met several employees during my stay, all helpful & friendly. Mark & I had quite a chat about this facility & the eta of their renovations & updating. Quite a place for many venues as they have all the bells & whistles. Upon entering my room I discovered my a/c was not working & of course it was one of those hot days. The gal at the desk & the maintainence man moved me to another room down the hall which solved the problem. My stay was pleasant, great pool & hot tub, filling breakfast, grounds to take a walk, a restaurant on site for a snack or a drink & quiet at night. Room was tastefully done & CLEAN. A return visit perhaps with my family when we travel again. Thanks Mark & Denise for the welcome wagon.

This hotel used to nice; however accommodations, cleanliness and upkeep seem to have not been a priority. Every employee is very nice; however it's just not clean: stains on the sheets hair in the bed, hairballs in the pool and trash around to where the kids couldn't enjoy a swim.

Motorcycle trip for 2 nights to explore the finger lakes area. Chose it for its location and quick access to the highway yet still far enough to not hear the noise and the price was reasonable. First impression is the outside could use some work but much nicer inside. The room was spacious and clean and the hotel had a very nice pool, Jacuzzi and fitness center. Staff was very nice and they had an onsite restaurant with cheap drinks and bar food. If you find yourself there on a Sunday and the town of Sayre pretty much shuts down leaving you to have to go to Corning if your looking for anything other than the local bar or an Applebees to eat (the hotel restaurant/ bar is closed also). Great all around Hotel and I definitely recommend it

I've stayed here multiple times with my son and our two large dogs. Every time our room has been clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. We stay here en route to Long Island and we will definitely stay here again in the future.

We had read the reviews, and comments relating to this facility once being a really nice place rang true; the effect of 40 years was apparent. It's not a horrible place, but you definitely don't want to expect a high-class place, and their rates reflect that; it's a decent place for the price.

Great value for a clean and updated hotel right off the highway. Great stay for a layover or for extended stay. There is an in-house restaurant and bar that serves select food. Staff is friendly and courteous. Bathroom is large and has great water pressure for that shower you need after a long day. Lots of parking for that camper, bus, trailers.

Hotel doesn't have updated decor, but is clean. Beds are comfortable. Pool is a nice size and the fitness area is nice. Breakfast was included and we enjoy the waffles. One change I would recommend would be to expand the bar / lounge to have an area to accommodate people under the age of 21. I think the hotel restaurant would increase revenue if they would have a seating area to accommodate families.

I would recommend this hotel any day they have respected workers very clean and quiet they answer questions and the service is alright I've had no problems with my stays there! So yeah I would recommend this hotel

Hotel was clean. Easy to get to and conveniently located. Room decor needs a facelift, Bed was very comfortable, shower was good. Easy check in and check out process. We were able to check in early which was a plus.

We were pleased with our stay here. The price was reasonable and we liked the room. Check in and check out went very quickly and smoothly. The staff we meet were very friendly. Th heating/cooling system in our room worked well. The free breakfast wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. I recommend this hotel.

More often than not I'll stay here when driving back home to Indiana from visiting family in Massachusetts. I think the hotel was built in the '80s, and in many ways it seems trapped in that decade. It appears they're trying to do some renovating; one of the elevators appeared new since my last stay (February). I do hope they've addressed the roof - was on the top floor in February, and noticed lots of water stains on the ceilings up there. Glad it wasn't raining when there!! (this time - early November - I was on the second floor)

When in this area we always stay at this hotel. We were a little disappointed that the jets on the hot tub didn't work but all else was great. Due to Covid. fitness center wasn't open. Would recommend to anyone traveling in this area to use this motel.

We stayed here on the last night of a great road trip and after an 8 hour drive, we could not wait to get into the room and relax. What we found was horrible… the room felt damp, the walls were filthy, the in room A/C had an air filter hanging off the bottom with foil wrapped around it and the bed had a lot of hair on it as if the sheets were not changed. This experience was really a bad way to end our trip and we would definitely not go back.

The Sayre PA Best Western is neither Best, nor Western. The place is in disrepair, the staff seems like the guests are an imposition, and the ability to get the room serviced is spotty at best. I do not recommend this hotel!

This stay was excellent, the room was comfortable. I also like how close it was to some of the most common fast food restaurants that I normally use when I travel away from home. I was unable to use the pool, the restaurants, the breakfast that was offered because I was always on the move but it was available if I needed them...

I would recommend this BW for anyone traveling in the upstate area. Very clean with friendly staff. Great location too. the breakfast was delicious, they have a bar and restaurant on site. And some good places to visit and eat at close by.

The FIVE “MUST HAVES” in any Hotel/Motel stay! Safe! Clean! Quiet! Good Wi-Fi! No Bugs! The Grand Victorian Inn! First of all I give this Hotel an extra star for the awesome employees! I was actually staying at the Microtel in Sayer, when I awoke at 2am, bitten up by bed bugs!! The place is infested! I shook out my stuff, took a shower, and packed my car. I called the Best Western in Sayre and told them what happened; they said come on over, we will give you an early check in, and also took 10% off because of what happened! Very sweet! I got there, checked in, and crashed into the comfy king sized bed! The room was huge, and the view was green! I work remotely, and it has a great work space. Fast internet, but every time I signed on I had to do it twice, for my computer and my phone. Super clean, nice bathroom! Hot water on demand! Lots of pressure for showers. The Hotel is a bit dated, but that's part of the charm. The heat/AC unit is crusty, old, but works well. The microwave and fridge were in working order, and the fridge kept my drinks ice cold! I didn't see any bugs, and you know that I was looking.  I stayed there for ten days, and I would definitely stay there again! They also have a nice sizable lounge, indoor pool, racquetball, a workout room and guest laundry for a nominal fee.  Some of the rooms have balconies! It truly is a Grand Victorian Inn!  Covid rules are not in place, and most don't wear masks. One thing to note is that they will charge you a non-refundable “incidental fee” of $75 dollars. If you use a third party booking app, you will get it refunded. I learned this after my stay. Cheers!

I just wanted to say that Martha and the other professional people running this hotel are amazing!! The rooms are clean comfortable, the hotel is friendly, the indoor pool and jacuzzi is the best, great restaurant, great breakfast, can't ask for a better place to stay!!! and the rates are very reasonable!! Alot of staff members rude to the kids and parents one lady is so miserable she shouldn't even be working there. What right mind is it to tell at your guest in the pool and children says pools open until 10pm on sheet in room not 9pm don't like it then change ur sheet in the room

Can't complain about this location other than we found their elevator is very slow and the lighting in the rooms is a bit dim. Huge pool and jacuzzi downstairs plus a fitness center which was fully stocked.

I've been to this hotel a few times and I have always been very pleased. This was my first stay in a couple of years and I had the same great experience that I've always had. First off, I would like to say a special thanks to Arlene for giving me a room upgrade and allowing me to get an early check in. The room itself was clean and the tub was great. Jaylynn was also very helpful and polite as well. This hotel shows that you don't have to spend a lot to get a lot. The hotel is in Pennsylvania along NY Route 17. But it's definitely one of the best places to stay along the route. I will definitely keep staying here

I travel here for work. The air conditioning often does not work, rooms smell musty, and it is very loud. The fitness center is great however does not appear to be cleaned and once the equipment breaks it is not fixed. The pool is decent size but does not appear like it has had any upkeep.

The hotel is just ok. Nothing special to make this stand out. We used it because of location and for having a pool. The hotel is seriously dated, only had one working elevator and the elevator was extremely slow. We would wait about 10-20 minutes for the elevator. Unsure if we would use this hotel again.

We were visiting Elmira College, Cortland, Ithaca & Cornell college. This best Western hotel was in the perfect central location to quickly get to all the colleges and to the Corning Glass Museum. and the Price was perfect, the BEST WESTERN Brand came through and made our visit successful.

Please be careful of this town. No one believes in masking laws. People stare at you like they've never ever seen poc. The hotel room smelled like vomit. The towels had stains on them. there was wedding in the lobby and no one wore masks. Sutan is the greatest thing about that place give him the whole hotel at this point. The hotel is not updated and pretty terrible job at repairs. You can see the chlorine powder in the pool and they don't clean that pool very often, skin itched after getting out. I treated all of the hotel like a shower curtain, not wanting any of it to touch my body.

Where to start! No handclapped parking, hallway and room that wreaked of Marijuana smell. If I had been with my wife, the Police would of been called! My suggestion to anyone staying in or around Sayre Pennsylvania is to stay way from this hotel. The local Police should make this hotel as part of the regular tour of duty, the lobby and all floors!

Last minute stay arrangements and the staff member was extremely kind, helpful, and professional. The pool was perfect, and their cover guidelines are top notch. I especially appreciated the quiet after 11 signs posted.

The hotel was really nice and clean. The staff at the front desk was very nice also. It was a fair price for the area. The check in and check out process is really easy and I love that if you stay 2 nights you can get a free night.

My daughter and I stayed here on New Year's Eve. 2020 was a bad year for our family, and our family wanted to get together to make sure the year ended. Stay in your own lane about social distancing and the election infection . . . The hotel puts a 20 dollar hold on your credit card, which is something I've never encountered before and is weird. The pool was closed until January 4. I expected the pool to be election infection closed, but it was closed for some other reason. The room was fine, bathtub was huge, shower head had various settings, room was large, cleanliness was adequate. In the morning, I asked the clerk about the free breakfast. I paid one hundred dollars for a room with a breakfast, and the breakfast played a part in making that decision. I was told where the breakfast was located, but there were only a variety of beverages. So, I asked the clerk where I would find the actual food and was told that I had to ask him for it. Okay, can I get some food? And, why didn't you tell me that when I originally asked about breakfast? Don't be cheap, sir. I would have given the place five stars but the credit card hold and breakfast situation were too weird to ignore.

Stayed one night! Very clean! Covid compliance, pool and hot tub working, best thing! Since covid most hotel pools are closed! Friendly staff! Indian guy very helpful and kind! Forgot his name! Overall 5 stars!

When this hotel was built back in the 1980's it was THE place to stay. Unfortunately there hasn't been much done to it since that time. The old time ventilation system with push buttons and a simple temperature knob is an example. The door closers don't slow them down and the sound of door slams are easily heard up and down the hallway. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. I stay here now when I'm back in the area visiting family and it's usually the least expensive option. Not a terrible choice...for a one night stay.

My room had an odor, old dirty carpeting, ripped curtains, drapes that wouldn't shut, dirty spots on the wall, mold in the bathroom and plastic peeling off the toilet seat. Lobby has awful odor. Breakfast was decent considering covid. Didn't use pool or weight room. Staff friendly.

Would not recommend the restaurant, however it was late when we arrived and we had few options. Food was not especially good but it was edible and the order was ready quickly. Room was clean; typical Best Western decor, very spartan and it would have been nice to have had some information on other nearby restaurants. I suppose all of this has been removed from rooms due to COVID-19. Strongly recommend going through the McDonald's drive-through, which is about a quarter of a mile from the hotel, as the morning breakfast is VERY spartan. I have a dairy allergy and there was not much I could eat. None of the packaged breakfast choices was appealing.

This was our first hotel stay this year, we had canceled all our plans once covid hit. The hotel is clean but we saw many guests walking around without any face coverings even though they had signs up in the hotel stating, no mask no service. People without masks coughing up a lung in the elevator did not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling.

This stay was absolutely wonderful it was comfortable. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. From the pool to our room we felt more at comfortable than we have ever felt any where else. The staff was so very kind and helpful. We could not have asked for a better experience.

Hotel was very nice. Pool and jacuzzi were wonderful and staff was very nice. Will stay again for sure. I had my 2 small kids and they had a blast too. Bar was open for carry out too even during this corona bs

We take a family trip to a hotel with an indoor pool every year this was our first visit to this hotel. Everything meet or exceeded our expectations, for the most part. We will definitely return in the near future.

We stopped overnight to break a 10 hour drive home from Christmas spent with grandchildren. into two 5 hour segments. The online description and ratings were belied by the truth. There was nothing Grand or Victorian about the place.

Stayed at the hotel, the yogurt expired by 5 days, they didn't care. They said it's good, you have to go off from smell and taste, why the hell would a guest need to be bothered by that? Disgusting. For the staff to say milk is off from smell and taste and not the date is a ludicrous statement, in America those dates are there for consumer protection.

The hotel is 5 minutes from State Line Auto Auction. Which is where we go. After a 2+ hour drive it's great to arrive in time to relax over dinner. Then only have a 5 minute drive in the morning.Highly recommend this hotel.

Most emplyees there. Act like they don't care if you are there or not, or True meaning of satisfied customer..and some emplyees could use some good bedside manners and there are a couple of employees that does go the Extra mile for customer's

No towels for the pool, no heat in the jacuzzi, elevator did not work in the basement had to go outside to get back to the lobby to get to our room and woke up with bites on my left side. The staff was very friendly.

The room smelled of mildew and the beds are very uncomfortable. Had my son in the pool playing and I was asked for him to be quiet because of a wedding going on. The roof leaked into the hot tub and next to the pool.

This hotel has balconies. the rooms and beds are very comfortable. great pool sauna and hot tub. It's good that the area is attended. Bar and restaurant are good and reasonable. I don't understand the negative reviews. Our experience was anything but negative. I guess some folks just have to look for something to complain about and here you would have to look hard

This hotel obviously started its life as a nicely appointed, upscale hotel for the area. It has been adapted by Best Western into a nicely maintained standard BW with some extra benefits. Nice, hotel-style lobby. Brass and wood paneling on the elevators. The bathroom in my balcony room was an older design updated with nice features. The porcelain, cast iron tub was enclosed by an attractive and new-looking tile enclosure with new fixtures. The tile pattern is continued on the floor. Nice vanity with granite counter-top. Comfortable bed. Clean room. My only quibble with the room was a balky door handle. A lever-type, you had to lift it up for it to fully unlatch. During my six day trip, this was the only hotel where I had concerns about parking lot security. As I was checking in, the clerk was telling the folks before me that the parking lot had no security cameras. Every light pole in the lot had a large sign declaring the hotel not responsible for theft or vandalism. While it is true, they are not, It is disconcerting that they know they have a problem but don't take any steps to discourage the perpetrators. Breakfast was average and the dining area was spacious. Staff very pleasant an helpful.

We stayed at this hotel in route to MA. It was a little older, but very clean and the customer service was excellent. Typical hotel breakfast but the presentation was better than most. The bathroom had been redone, very modern and spacious. Bed was comfortable. Convenient location right off the highway.

Best Western Grand Victoria Inn was nice for the overnight stop. However the lounge attached to this location needed some serious updating. We did not eat in Nite Train Lounge or have a drink. However we found a great spot for dinner just down the street at The Grill at the Train Station 718 N Lehigh Ave in Sayre. Wonderful people and excellent foodies!

Short but Very enjoyable stay. Lost a decorative pin which many staff members helped to look and ultimately found. I was called and notified it would be put in the mail, since I had already checked out.

Spacious room, clean hotel and friendly staff It is way above the regular best western and is close to the plus level. Breakfast is with regular items like eggs, bacon and sausage. Everything are in great order. No complaints

Enjoyed our stay. Quiet and clean. Pet friendly. Some renovations done and some in progress but did not impact our stay as it was a weekend. Hotel was near good restaurants and easily accessible from the highway.

I stay here for business once a week. I choose this hotel because there is plenty of parking I like the swimming area in the fitness center there is a restaurant and lounge on site and the hotel is comfortable and clean

I booked 9 rooms for my family and our friends booked an additional 8 rooms. The rooms were clean, the breakfast area was large enough to accommodate our large group to sit together. We enjoyed the lounge, Courtney was a terrific bartender, very pleasant and accommodating to our large group. Everyone at the front desk was pleasant and accommodating. Tracy was the coordinator of the block of rooms. She did a terrific job of putting us all together on the same floor, making it easier for us to visit with one during our stay. This was a great staff that worked very well together.

The service at this hotel was excellent. The staff is what made my stay excellent. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and accommodating, going beyond just doing their jobs. The location was easy to get to, right off the main thoroughfare. The lobby and lounges were clean, as were my room and bathroom, the latter well stocked with towels and the beds had plenty of pillows. I ate at the restaurant, which had decent food at a good price. The breakfast buffet was ample, lots of choices and was kept restocked by very friendly staff. The price for the room was far less than what I anticipated spending, always a plus!

We have stayed here many time. It is getting better and better each visit. Clean comfortable rooms. Quiet AC is especially nice. Clean hotel overall. Spacious too. Only wish they had more functional elevators. But I'm sure that will be resolved very soon. A nice place to stay over night .

The hotel was lovely. The staff was great. Breakfast was good, nice selection. Different waffle batter both days we stayed. The food in the lounge was awesome and the bar looked well stocked. We will definitely stay again.

Clean but needs remodeling. Very worn looking. Bed too soft. Difficult to maneuver in facility. Got kicked out of a location and had to take door outside and walk around to get back in. Train noise and walls very thin

Stayed 1 night At this BW property. Looked like a modern hotel from the outside, but all that changed upon entry. The elevators were older, they worked yes but not modern by any means. Hallways were also old fashioned looking, I believe there was new carpet though. Upon entry into my room the AC unit was literally from the 1980's, a old push button unit that barely kept the room cold. Had to keep bathroom door closed to contain AC was coming out. I wanted to sit at the desk and use my laptop, but there was no chair - called the front desk and someone brought up a basic chair. Breakfast was Ok, staff was filling the items that were low. You can hear the train at night - but not that bothersome at all. One of the issues i saw immediately on arrival was the weeds growing in the mulch in the front, just looked unkept. It was raining out when I arrived, - when the rain stopped it was still raining under the carport for some time, obviously some work needs to be done there to fix the leaks. Also the lighting under the carport - about 4 light fixtures were out.

After 3 days of business travel I found this Oasis in PA. A friendly greeting on arrival with helpful main desk young lady who helped me settle in. Good Dinner suggestion, a local Sports Bar with a wide assortment on the menu. Comfortable bed, and a sound sleep. On my list to stop there again when I am in that area.

The spa tub is my favorite part of our stay everytime. Hotel is clean and affordable. Hotel staff very nice waffles are the best for breakfast. The pool is also warm. Sometimes kids ding dong ditch ur door but overall we had a good stay.

This hotel was nice for the price. It has a great location, but you do hear trains and general street noise. The breakfast area is well-stocked with eggs, sausage, some fruit, waffle makers, bagels and donuts, cereal, and coffee and juice. The only problem we had was that the air conditioner wasn't working when we arrived. The temperature outside was 90 degrees and humid, and the room was almost as warm. It seemed to be running, but the room wasn't cooling off , so the first night was a little uncomfortable. We told the front desk about the the next morning, and she said that it probably just needed to be reset and she would send someone up. When we returned later that afternoon, the room was still warm, so we mentioned it again. When we returned later in the day, the room was cool, and we didn't have any more problems with the AC after that.

Very good hotel. Staff attentive and nice and clean. Highly recommend while in the area. Centrally located to all attractions, convenient store right across the street. Easy access in and out and adequate parking.

The hotel is reasonably priced, although it appears to be a bit tired looking. I think that with a fresh coat of paint in the guest room it probably would have looked better. The carpeting in the room and hallway looked okay. One lamp in the room was stained. The bed skirt on the bed was wrinkled. There is a desk in the room, but no desk chair. The towels were not thick, but were fine for our use. We found the beds to be comfortable enough. The hotel has an excellent gym, with several treadmills and free weights. You can swim in their indoor pool or just relax in the large hot tub. The hot tub sorely needs to be repainted. I think that with some attention to updating the hotel it would probably be a four-star hotel with the amenities it offers. While in the area, eat dinner at the Tioga Downs Casino Resort. They have a reasonably priced buffet and the food is delicious.

Overall good price and convenient location.. There was a baseball team of 10 year olds running wild in the evening through the halls disturbing guests and ignored by the parents supposedly in charge. Front desk didn't offer much help, just telling me their curfew was at 10:30!!!

Except for the room decor which was a bit dated and a little bizarre, the hotel was wonderful with amenities we would expect from a much more expensive place...hot breakfast, pool, hot tub, fitness center, restaurant (more of a bar with food), etc.

I stayed only for a night driving from Niagra to NYC. Hotel is a bit old and it shows, but very clean and well mantained. Room was nice and clean so was the bathroom. The only down side on the room was that I was given a room facing the back of the hotel and there is a rail road there. I heard a couple of trains passing by and that's it. Front desk staff was very helpful, after my check out I called the hotel to inform that I had left something behind and was driving back to the hotel to pick it up. buy the time I reached the hotel my item was at the reception waiting. Thank you. Breakfast was what you would expect. Very good value for money.

5 of us-3 generations travelled over 4 1/2 hrs for our trip and the beds were welcoming after we got settled. After a nap, we visited! The staff were very friendly and helpful to kids trying to get on wifi.

Outside yard is pretty and the main entrance/check-in area as well. Room itself was ok. Second floor smelled mildly of smoke on arrival. We stayed on a Sunday and to our surprise a large group of people gathered to party and drink alcohol in the business center outside our room. The party continued past 11 pm (contrary to the sign at the elevator saying it's quiet time by that hour). We had to walk through this crowd to get to the elevators and it was awkward. I've stayed at tons of hotels and have never seen a group of people drinking into business center area to party. The next morning there were empty beer cans beside the elevator. It definitely did not feel very family friendly at all and the whole party stuff really caught us off guard. Yikes!

The staff and service during our stay wer excellent....but...everywhere we turned there was need for routine maintenance. From elevators and laundry facilities, to electrical devices and door locks, even trim and furnishings. Apparently we were booked into one of the two remaining rooms not remodeled, even tho we reserved it two months in advance. Our room was full of extremely used and mismatched furnishings (torn apolstry,worn tabletops,useless receptacles,hvac unit in need of seriuos maintenance). We are not ones to complain,so we did'nt;we just will not choose to stay in a B/W again. In no way what offered was worth the $600.00 we could have spent in another hotel. Very disappointed.

avg. just an a typical hwy hotel ... nothing around you should travel a little more to a bigger town or city ,, only place around to buy drinks or something to eat is a gas station /mini mart across the street

We stayed here twice in the same week as we had chosen this hotel as the interim place to travel to Niagara falls. There is not much con staying in this hotel. Plenty of parking, courteous staff, nice and clean rooms. Breakfast is good and pretty much standard we see in 3 star hotels. Make your own waffles is part of the breakfast. . This hotel has coin operated laundry unit. WiFi is pretty fast. We didn't eat in the restaurant in this hotel. There are fast food chains like subway, Taco Bell, pizza hut less than a mile form this hotel Cons: Elevator is bit old and takes lot time just to reach next floor. There is not much view from the room window though. Even from the 4th floor the trees block the view of the mountains.

My wife and I have stayed here a few times and we always get excellent service. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The rooms are affordable and we feel like royalty when we stay here. We get the best of everything. A great value, a great room, and great customer service. The hotel is easily accessible from NY Route 17 and I-86 at Exit 61. The best part of this hotel is that it's not usually that busy. It's not noisy and crowded, which makes it easier to relax more. The pool and hot tub are at the bottom of the hotel, which means you don't hear much other noise. That's definitely a nice touch. We are repeat guests for sure

Each year e travel with another couple from Michigan to Brimfield, Massachusetts for a week of antiquing. Stopping at Sayre, Pennsylvania is the regular mid-point for out travel. We were one again pleased to stop at this Best Western. We knew that we would stop for the day at a location with great accommodations and a restaurant. We were not disappointed. The hotel was just vin the final stages of upgrades, but there was nothing that spoiled our stay. Everything was first rate.

The hotel is being renovated (we were not disturbed by any noise). Our room was recently renovated. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. The complementary breakfast was very good. The hotel has a nice sized pool. The hotel is just a minute off the highway. Really enjoyed our stay and will definetly stay here again! EC

We were making a quick trip with our two small children to visit family. The hotel room was priced great. It was clean and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good. My son especially loved the waffles. The only negative thing I'd say is that the walls seemed thin because I could hear the guest in the room next to me if they coughed or talked loudly. I could also hear their shower and toilet at all hours of the night. Which neither were faults of the hotel. We will definitely stay here again. Hopefully we will have time to take advantage of the pool on our next stay.

Lady at check out not super friendly. Everything else was good. Breakfast was good. Did not use the pool, so can't review that or the fitness room. Close to good restaurants,but not much to do in the errands.

My stay most recently at the Best Western was the best ever. Each time I go I find myself saying why do I wait so long in between. I enjoy the fitness area the pool is my favorite. The minutes and hours pass by and I don't have to worry because its on Best Western Time and when your there time doesn't matter. This past stay I was able to enjoy it with my daughter and son in law and her family it was the first time I was able to meet my grand children the time flew by and we enjoyed it very much. This is where the tittle comes to play take some time for yourself you will be glad you did the staff will take care of you completely and you will be very satisfied with your surroundings and the cleanliness of the hotel and your room choice.

I can't say enough about this hotel! The staff was friendly, accommodating, and personable. The hotel was so clean and we were told that all the rooms had just been refurbished with new furniture, new flooring, new everything and it was evident! The pool was heated and well maintained. Hot Tub was wonderful but could use a little facelift. The laundry facility was greatly appreciated as this was our ninth day of vacation. The continental breakfast was great and again the staff was wonderful! This is our second stay at this hotel and I will definitely go back when our travels take us back in that direction!

This property used to be so nice. Had high expectations. Was given a ridiculously hard time on the phone about checking in early. Room smelled like smoke. Construction materials just outside our door in boxes. Bedbug found in another family member's room. Sunday morning front desk clerk was very rude. Event planner was super nice which is the only reason I gave two stars. She needs to work for a nicer property. She'd bring in lots of business with her professional behavior and willingness to help her guests have positive experiences. I recommend Wyndham!

They told my family and I what the pool hours were however failed to mention that they really close the pool earlier. We stayed at this hotel specifically for the pool...try explaining this to your upset kids

Excellent hotel. Everyone that worked there was friendly, personable, and was genuinely welcoming. I didn't get that "fake-hospitality-friendly-worker" attitude that you get at most places. The people that work there are professional, down-home, good, friendly people.

Hotel was short staffed especially for breakfast. The lounge had no beer or liquor because they were waiting for the license. The room wasn't as clean as we accustomed. We have stayed here several times before and this was the first time we were disappointed .

Hotel itself is adequate...a bit dated but clean and well kept. The key difference between this BW and other newer properties in Sayre is a lounge. However, despite the welcoming neon signs in the windows, they are in a dry state. While there is no indication of this on the website or given at check in, they have lost their liquor license. Not sure if this is due to change in ownership, and perhaps it is completely beyond management's control, but the lack of finesse in communicating this to guests was a deal breaker, in my opinion. A savvy manager would have partnered with a nearby pub (Alligers, perhaps) and provided a menu and discount coupon at check in along with a brief explanation of the hotel bar situation (maybe even a free drink for the BWR loyalty members if state law and management skills allow). Just some beer for thought.

Very clean hotel, bright lobby, room was large and very clean, very quiet so sleep quality was great. Close to resturants and right off the Interstate, would certainly stay at this Hotel again. Would enjoy going back in the summer to enjoy the pool and outdoor terrace.

Stopped for the night on our way to New York city. Great over half way point from Ontario. Short 3 hour drive the next morning Good hot breakfast with hot cereal. Bacon and eggs. Lots of variety. Clean hotel. Right off the hwy.

We had our annual Winter Conference at the Best Western Grand Victorian Inn in Sayre PA this year. Tracy set everything up for us and could not have been more pleasant, professional and accommodating. Deb, Casey and the rest of the staff were wonderful. We had 2 meals there- great food, great facility- extremely pleased !

Great location and reasonable price, however not suitable for family's with kids under 5..... lots of noise and foot traffic from adjacent rooms and lot come back from bars late at night.... close to ski lifts abs for short trip as couple with no frills would work well

All of the staff was very helpful. Checking in an checking out was very quick. We ended up upgrading one of our rooms at the last minute and they were very helpful and super quick! Absolutely no complaints!

Great hotel, clean, quiet, friendly great staff ! The area is convenient right off highway. Great wing place a few doors down and you can walk. The hotel has a restaurant bar/lounge also. You can opt to eat in also.

Great hotel away from traffic and main road. Very quiet area. Staff was wonderful and room was clean. Booked a king room with whirlpool tub which was the very end room on the floor. No noise! Room allowed us to have our fur baby. The hotel had a potty area for dogs on the one end of the hotel. Only downfall was we were on the opposite side of the hotel from the potty station which made it kind of annoying to walk all the way to one end of the hotel to the other early mornings. Wish they had stations at both ends of the hotel outside but I get not all people clean up after their pet! Other than that it was a wonderful stay and we will be staying again!

Stayed here while sadly in town for a funeral. Aside from one of the beds being broken on one side and the eggs at breakfast leaving something to be desired, it was a quaint, quiet stay. Would come back.

My husband and I stayed here for a family wedding. Upon checking in, our first impression wasn't a good one! The glass on the entrance doors were dirty. Check in was easy and pleasant and we headed to the elevators. They were also dirty on the outside and the doors were smeared. They have two elevators, but only one was working. I was worried about our room. Our room was very outdated but clean. Also, it was very dark. The lighting was horrible!There was a broken handle on the dresser. Soon it was time for the wedding. The room looked very pretty and the bride looked amazing! Now, the food, it was delicious! I was very pleasantly surprised! We had a very nice time! I am aware that this is a pet friendly hotel and that could account for the smeary doors, but someone needs to stay on top of that!

The hotel in the casino was sold out, so we ventured into the nearby town of Sayre, PA. The hotel was conveniently located next to a highway exit, and was quiet and well staffed. The room was spacious if a tad outdated, but the price made up for that. The from desk staff was polite and helpful, and the breakfast room was quite large; no problem chowing down the ample fare at one of many large tables.

I've been to this hotel multiple times- the service is always outstanding, the staff is always exceeding my expectations! Breakfast was excellent as usual. I never want to leave and I can't wait to go back :)

The Best Western in Sayre was beautiful! Very clean, excellent customer service, friendly and willing to do anything that was asked. We had 50 rooms in a group block for my son's wedding. In addition we had the Princess Room for hair and makeup with lunch for the girls. Perfect room and the food was delicious. In addition we ran a tab in the bar and were provided with wrist bands to signify who was on our tab. Pizza was brought in for us in the bar. Every aspect of our weekend was perfect! Thank you

My wife and I decided to stay here again and we were very pleased with everything, like always. Mercedes was super nice to us at check in and she was polite and energetic and that's a great vibe when you check into a hotel. We had a couple of minor issues, but they were resolved in a quick and efficient manner. Our room was very hot when we walked in and we didn't receive any of the wake up calls that we requested, but everything was taken care of. John and Stephen were apologetic and accommodating when we had those issues and definitely made things right for us. That's how it should be at a hotel. The hotel is in a quiet location right off of NY Route 17 and there is no noise from the highway. We will definitely stay here again and again

This Hotel is a bit out dated! Scratched word in the elevator, old busy rugs, older furniture. It is clean however! That is more important to me than the overall decor. The staff was scarce but there is no real complaint about the stay there. Bed was ok as well, not uncomfortable but nothing that makes you want to stay even longer. Tv was small, and choice of channels was limited. We ended up falling asleep to watching a movie on Netflix on our phone! Breakfast had a decent choice.Again, average about what you would expect!

Stayed here for 4 nights while going to Watkins Glen for racing weekend. Place is in nice shape, considering it is not new. Staff at the hotel were very good whenever asked for anything. Only issue was room had a mysterious water leak. Never tried the breakfast, but it did look good while getting a coffee to go.

There aren't many hotels in this area, but this place is still top of the line. We were greeted by a friendly, helpful desk clerk. Our room was clean and comfortable. We have stayed here several times and are never disappointed. Definitely a quiet, safe place to stay. Breakfast is great and the breakfast room is large.

This is the best location that I could have chosen for my wedding rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. The staff was amazing and extremely accommodating with everything! Fun and beautiful location with truly wondeful staff. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone!

Hotel & Staff went out of their way to ensure our event was problem free. We are a mature biker group and have rallys all over the eastern US. Rooms were roomy and clean, Are rooms were ready early for check in and were clean. We had 3 food Parties during the week and the food & service were outstanding

The inn is just off I-86 in a quiet location free of road noise. The breakfast meals are good served up by very nice staff, frankly everyone working at the Inn are very pleasant and go the extra mile to meet your needs. The bar also serves as the onsite restaurant that offers good fairly priced meals and offers craft beer from a local brewery. While not used, the fitness center, hot-tub, and indoor pool make this a good winter stop. The entire hotel is non-smoking.

Super facility! Awesome rooms, friendliest staff. Even though the hotel was crowded while we were there, there was no change to the quality of service. Food in the restaurant was great as were the prices. I won't stay anywhere else!

Usually when you pay less than you expected to, you tend to "expect less"...Not the case here! Amazing staff, clean comfortable atmosphere, great price. Stayed at a more expensive hotel last time we visited this are (not any more!) Will definitely stay HERE again.

The rooms are outdated and dark. The furniture is severely worn, scratched and dull. The chair and foot stool were frayed and severely worn alonf witht the drapes and curtain. The room was very dark and the flourescent bulbs were yellowish in color. The fridge and microwave blocked the aisle so you couldn't fulley open the closet door. Because of the blockage you had to turn sideways to get by.

This is the best hotel we have found in a very long time, for the money. Very reasonable & high quality, with nice size rooms, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, and lots of amenities. When we come to this area to do things, we always stay here.

This hotel is not near anything but close to a lot. We used the hotel as a base that was 30 minutes to 90 minutes from wherever we wanted to go on our Labor day weekend trip to the Finger Lakes. The State Fair in Syracuse, the Balloon Festival in Dansville, Watkins Glen and Senica Lake, and visiting friends in Binghamton and Montrose. The rooms are large, the breakfast is great, location is right off the highway.

The Best Western in Sayre is a nice and comfortable hotel located right off the highway. The location is great for us, but we wish the hotel would get a facelift/update soon. It appears to be stuck in the 80s and needs a good renovation. Staff is very friendly and we will stay here again as it is close to all we need. It would just make a better impression for all guests if it received an update.

The room was spacious and clean with a huge bathroom for a hotel room. The bed was comfy with some of the fluffiest pillows I've ever seen. Still had trouble sleeping but that was due to working nights. There was a nice little sitting area, desk, and mini fridge with microwave.

Visiting family in Owego but local hotels were little higher priced. So we decided to stay here since price was much better. Right off Rte 17 (86). 15 min from Tioga Downs. 50 min from Lakes & wineries. Room was very clean and comfortable. Free breakfast was good. Indoor heated pool and jacuzzi with large workout room. Plenty of parking. Would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful hotel with spacious and updated room great sized pool for families and a delicious breakfast with fresh eggs and make your own waffles that the kids love. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families. And very reasonably priced for the value!

Had to get a hotel room unexpectedly while visiting area. Really appreciated the location, price, friendly staff, room quality and amenities. They made an unexpected stay easy and pleasant. Highly recommend!

Price was good for all offered. Only 15 minutes from Elmira, where room were sky high due to Watkins Glen races. Bathroom very large. Closet was dark. Lighting altogether could have veen better. Slow drains, but great water pressure. Nice lobby. I didn't use the restaurant but heard it was good. Bed was comfortable. Gas station right across the street. Easy on and off highway. Would stay there again.

Stayed at the Best Western for 2 nights while attending a family reunion. The hotel is very nice. My room had a large king bed, flat screen tv, chair and desk and a very large bathroom with a great shower. There was also a microwave and fridge. The hotel has a restaurant and bar plus an indoor pool. Would stay again if back in the area.

I had a wonderful time. The staff here are good and treat you with respect. I would stay here again. I would stay here anytime i come back home and the prices are wonderful along with the staff. The food is awesome as well.

This was a return visit for work with the church, and this time in Sayre, PA. As before, the room, one which is handicapped accessible, was clean, comfortable and quiet. We did not ask for any room service as we maintained the room ourselves. We did secure needed towels and wash clothes and garbage bags. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast options were wonderful. We had a busy weekend, but our hotel was a great place to rest and relax between activities.

Rooms and common areas are extremely clean. I was impressed at how clean bathroom was. Housekeeping does a fantastic job. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding and if you're looking for one of those fabulous waffle makers, they have not one, but two. Blueberry and regular batter was available. Staff is very friendly. There's a bar and grill type restaurant in the hotel that does a very nice job. Even though they gave us the wrong room key and I walked in and most likely frightened some poor lady, I'll still give this hotel 5 stars based on the type of experience I'm looking for when I travel.

Just a weekend get away for the wife and I. Friendly people. In need of a update / remodel. Walls are thin, people in the next room really enjoyed there evening. Glad we did not have children with us. Wife woke up with what we think was a spider bite. Finger lakes area is beautiful.

The outside looks nice. Looks like they are remodeling the front of the building. The inside needs work. Got a bite on the back of my neck. Had to be while I slept didn't have it before. Couldn't get air conditioning control to a moderate temperature. The walls have to be very thin. Heard our neighbors enjoying themselves last night. Wow!!@ The breakfast buffet wasn't that good On the positive side the front desk ladies were pleasant and helpful. Giving us suggestions on where to eat. Great job ladies.

We had a wonderful time at your Best Western in Sayre! Mercedes and Kacey we're wonderful and took care of us at the front desk. Our grandkids had a BLAST playing racquet ball and swimming at the fitness center where Carol, Patrick and Cindy were AWESOME!! We ate at the restaurant and Trish was great, but we adored Denelle on our 2nd night she was AWESOME with the kids, the CHEF Dylan was AMAZING and prepares DELICIOUS meals the kids ate like never before even asked him for his chicken finger recipe. ?? Our room was clean and tidy thanks to Levon! Our breakfasts were just as DELICIOUS and the ladies did such a wonderful job keeping everything so neat and filled up thanks to Janet, Sandy and Machelle. We stayed 2 nights during Memorial Day weekend, undoubtedly one of our best stay. Hotel itself is clean, well appointed, room we stayed had fridge and microwave which worked well for us, but I guess it's the people who makes the difference. The staff is very nice and helpful, particularly the servers at the breakfast were very prompt in refilling the food, addressing individual needs and above all carrying lovely smile all the time. A real value for money.

I feel most hotels aren't as nice in person as they are in photos. But this one holds up to the photos. The hotel has a nice gym: free weights, elliptical machines, treadmills, etc. and even a racquetball court and saunas. The pool and hot tub are nice and the temperatures were where they are supposed to be. The breakfast included donuts, cereals,fruits, bagels, etc. plus scrambled eggs and bacon. The room was clean, but beds were a little rough. Overall, for $87 total, I thought this hotel was a great deal!

Very clean and nice hotel. We just stopped for 1 night. Kids liked the swimmingpool. Breakfast was OK and the staff was helpfull. Next time I will certainly come back here when we are in the area.....

We stayed at the hotel from Friday to Sunday for a friends wedding and upgraded to a Jacuzzi suite for a very modest charge. The hotel is very well maintained and in a quiet setting. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We very enjoyed our stay. The pool is especially nice, it's heated with a hot tub and great views of the grounds. While is we didn't use the fitness center it looked very nice and many other guest were taking advantage of the wide selection of equipment. While the menu is limited, we were presently surprised how good the food was at the Nite Train lounge and reasonably priced the drinks were.

Hotel was very clean in all areas, especially the room. Breakfast offered a good variety of things to eat. Staff friendly and helpful. This is my 2nd stay here at this hotel and will probably not be my last. Very convenient as it is just off the interstate exit.

My wife and I had a pleasant experience at this hotel. The Hotel has big parking, but it has potholes in it. The staff was friendly. The food was average, and the breakfast was the same every morning with a small variety. The room was clean and tidy, and they have excellent housekeeping service. The Internet is free and works well. For the money, one pays they offer good services.

Ac didn't work.. cigarette smoke came in window from outside. Being the Ac didn't work, we opened the window to get the cool evening breeze. Only to have the bar patrons and the hotel staff smoking below us, we were on the2nd floor, cigarette smoke come into our room. When I mentioned it, only thing I got, “I make note of it”. Very disappointed.

My unpleasant experience started at the entrance doorway, where there were several people smoking next to the door. Next, the musty stale smell as I entered the lobby was also unsettling. My room had the same musty stale smoke odor. When I checked the bed linens with an ultraviolet light the result was disgusting. There were numerous body fluid stains all around the bed skirt on both beds and one of the bedspreads had numerous fluid stains. If the reservation had not been pre-paid by my employer I would have immediately left the property and stayed at the Hampton Inn nearby. My previous experiences with Best Western have been mixed with one very positive in Haifa Israel and one bad in Des Moines Iowa. I will do anything within my control not to stay at another Best Western.

The hotel has a very friendly staff, the rooms both guest rooms and banquet rooms were nice and well kept. Liz and the other girl with the grey/purple hair from the front desk were very informative and helpful when we needed things. The one housekeeper was super friendly and had such an upbeat personality I wish I would have caught her name so I could mention her by name. Wish more hotels would have staff like this one Though things in the hotel were great, it was a little odd about the front doors, I went out late at night and when I came back in I noticed the doors were not locked nor did you need your key to get back in. While traveling and staying in different types of hotels and knowing Night Auditors from other hotels and being a former hotel employee myself, I know there is not a lot of other staff on hand overnight so not have at least a key to enter was interesting.

Very neat, clean establishment. Room, bed, etc. well appointed and comfortable. Was surprised with the size of the bathroom - lots of room to move around, extra space for storage of items, etc. The only problem/complaint I had was the fact that the front doors do not open automatically. Can make it difficult when pushing a valet card or carrying luggage.

No complaints except just don't eat at the restaurant as it is overpriced and not good. It is the one that is in the bar area. Other than the food in the bar area, everything else was superior!! There are lots of local eateries to choose from or you can also get delivery to your hotel room.

I've stayed at this hotel quite a few times and it's a gem. I go to Toronto about 4 times a year and this stop is usually about halfway for me. The price is fair. The staff is superb. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The property is quiet and far enough away from the highway where you don't ever hear road noise. Even though there aren't many dining and shopping options that close to the hotel, Horseheads is about 30 minutes west of here and there are a lot more options, but it's definitely worth the commute there and back to stay here. This hotel is definitely excellent and worth every cent. The one thing I will mention that might be confusing to people who are unfamiliar with the area is that the hotel is actually in Pennsylvania, but it's off of New York Route 17 at Exit 61. The route dips in to Pennsylvania for about 2 minutes and that's where the hotel is. But like I said earlier, this hotel can't be beat. I will return again and again

Had a great room, very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Facilities were great too! One of the best equipped gyms in a hotel, and the hot tub was HOT!! Already planning my next stay, and looking forward to it!

Great hotel, friendly staff enjoyed our time there. Breakfast had a good variety and the area was clean and stocked. Room had a couple of repairs done that we could see but didn't affect our stay. The room was quite large with a separate room that had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and sink. Hotel had a quiet time so catching up on sleep was not a problem.

outstanding everything :) We had a wonderful conference- accommodations, food, staff, 5 star on all of it ! The location suited us perfectly since it was a NYS regional conference, very easy access off the interstate.

A nice hotel in a really old building, decor reflects old Victorian era. Rooms are clean, but be prepared that the building is a bit old, so the smell of old wood and stuff will be there. Nice lobby, room and mirrors; if you are looking for some ghostly stuff, this hotel can help u make the perfect video!

My daughter and I were at this facility prior to my surgery at Robert Packard hospital. The desk clerks were very kind upon learning I was having surgery , wishing me well. Not only was the restaurant menu full of good choices, the food was plentiful and tasty. The waitress saw to our every need. I would recommend this Best Western if anyone is staying in Sayre, PA

This is a wonderful place to stay in Sayre, PA. I was passing through on a business trip, I got in around 1am and was greeted by Liz at the front counter. She was very friendly, polite and professional. I booked a king room and the bed was huge. The room itself is large too. Bathroom was newer minus the shower which had a more retro look. The shower functioned properly and had great temperature and water pressure. Everything was clean, which is really all I ask for. The included breakfast is pretty basic, it did offer bacon which was a nice option. The eggs weren't very appealing however if I had some salsa to add to it, they probably would have been better. I would stay here again if I have the pleasure of passing through.

This place was so family friendly! Warm on a very snowy day! The pool and hot tub were very pleasant. The restaurant downstairs was great for the grown ups to unwind for a couple hours! Definitely cannot wait to do this again!

We had a breakfast brunch after my grandson's Baptism for 24 people on 2/18/18. We had a private room, food was excellent, and the wait staff (Debbie) was very attentive without being intrusive. I have had 3 other events like this at the Best Western Victorian Inn and everything was perfect. Tracy Is the banquet manager and she ensures that you have everything the way you want it and that your event goes off without a hitch. I highly recommend this facility for any family/corporate event!

Great!!! This hotel was close to restaurants and shopping but far enough away for the quiet and peaceful experience. Very clean and excellent staff. My wife and I will definitely be staying here again.

I do plenty of work for Guthrie Health Care. When I'm anywhere within 35min of this place I make sure I stay at this hotel. Rates are good, staff is friendly, they have plenty of parking, rooms are very clean and they have a Pub in the hotel.

Bed springs were sticking in my back all night long, hardly slept at all. Although the rest of the hotel was above average, the bed really ruined it my total experience. Won't consider best western ahead of the competition in the future.

A last minute decision to stay here due to a death in the family. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. The hotel itself had everything I could ask for - nice bar/lounge, fitness center (with racketball & basketball courts, indoor pool, full weight room and sauna in the locker room), very clean, spacious room and a quiet environment. I will definitely stay here should I need a hotel room next time I visit!

Dont know if stars are based on amenities but this is not a 3 star property...I would say 2 and 2.5 at the most. Aging, needs modification and would be nice before you book that the pool and whirlpool arent in service. Instead there was a sign at check in. They upgraded us to a jacuzzi room but the water pressure in the tubs there are so weak that the water started coolingmoff by the time i filled the tub high enough and also because of that if you expect a nice shower forget it...complained one other time in another room and nothing was done. Mattress was too squishy too

It was a very nice place for the price. They have a restaurant bar in the lobby, allowing you to stay in and not having to drive around looking for a place to eat. The breakfast was very good at no charge. It wasnt your typical free breakfast, they had a very good selection with very good coffee. The workout area was also larger than most places.

Really felt like someone beamed us back to the Titanic's staterooms and not in a good way. Lighting was poor, decor was void minus a mirror, the carpeting made our allergies go nuts, and the mattress made it nearly impossible to sleep. Although quiet and clean, we didn't care for this hotel.

This is a reasonably priced hotel. Large rooms, microwave and refrigerator. The rooms and hotel are clean and the staff are very friendly. One exit from Tioga Downs Casino and a much better room rate than the casino hotel.

If you are in the valley this hotel is a good value. You get a clean room and a hot breakfast for the money. The staff was very friendly from the front desk to the cleaning service to the bartender. Great job.

Overall value was amazing. Best hotel in the area. We were traveling through the area on the way to family, and admittedly, there are no nice hotels in this region. This one was a real surprise. Nice exterior and nice lobby. The staff was friendly and the hot breakfast good, given there is not a really nice diner around. Would definitely stay there again.

I needed a place to stay for one night on my way home for the holiday as I was attending a Christmas party and and not want to risk driving. Best Western Grand Victorian Inn Sayre provided the perfect stopover.

This hotel is very nice when you first walk in. The staff is polite. Our room was very clean. You can tell housekeeping pays attention to detail. The breakfast was great and the room for it was very large. We were on the top floor and it was perfectly quiet. The older hotels seem to be more sound proof.

Solid hotel for our particular stay for local wrestling tournament. Parents/Coaches took advantage of on site restaurant while kids used pool and workout facilities. Nothing fancy but enough to justify good rates.

I needed a hotel near the hospital and this is only a mile away. The staff was very friendly, very nice rooms for a reasonable cost especially if you are a AAA member. I got a great night sleep and a very good breakfast at no charge. I highly recommend this hotel if you will be in Sayre, PA.

I am usually a person who prefers to stay at Hampton Inn, but the HI close to the hospital was sold out. I decided to try The Grand Victorian/Best Western in Sayre. I was pleasantly surprised. While it is not fancy, the hotel is comfortable and clean. The staff members are kind and helpful. I would certainly stay again in the future.

Stayed here Thanksgiving night. Had a late check in and the staff was ready for me when I arrived, they were great! The room was well appointed and spacious, most importantly, it was, along with the bathroom, very clean. The bed was quite comfortable and the room was quiet. The included breakfast was well presented and offered good variety. The dining room was comfortable, bright and clean. The room rate was very competitive. When in the area this hotel will be my first choice.

This hotel was wonderful as we just stopped on our way through to our final destination. The room was clean, hotel staff helpful, breakfast great and we only wish we stayed longer to use the gym....maybe next time.

Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Rooms were a good size comfortable and clean. The restaurant was good and the bar was fun. The hotel is located well, we used it as our base and visited places all round. Some good restaurants close by.

Everything was decent, nothing exceptional, but worth the money. Food was ok in the restaurant, probably would eat somewhere else if I stay there again. Room was clean, heat was out of control in the room I was in.

The staff was so happy and friendly. I received a courtesy call shortly after arriving in the room. The room was spacious and very clean. The jacuzzi was wonderful. The bed and pillows were the best. I wanted to buy the pillow. The TV worked well. There was a directory and a guide on the TV so you could navigate the TV. FABULOUS!

I really thought this hotel was wonderful for the price. The only thing that I would know to chreck on for next time is the temperature of the Jacuzzi. It was very cool when we were in it. Not what I was hoping for. Everything else was wonderful!

We were on our way to Atlantic City and was a night stay over and booked the Best Western, we found it to be a great hotel, clean, great staff. rooms were really good, our stay included a breakfast, enjoyed it, overall a great place to stay.

The Sayre Best Western rooms are large, comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The value of our stay was excellent. Location is also excellent. The front desk attendants were friendly, polite, helpful, and truly happy to help us. We only had one complaint. The breakfast was poor. The attendant was nowhere to be found. The coffee was cold. The garbage cans were full. Everything else at the hotel was superior.

The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff were all friendly and efficient. While the breakfast had the standard items, the lady taking care of the breakfast was extremely energetic, friendly and cheerful.

This was a wonderful stop on our way home from the Finger Lakes. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer. There is a local brewery nearby that had excellent food and brews.

Best breakfast, swimming pool, customer service, bed and clean room. Had to stop over to sayre before heading back to buffalo and they are accomodating for a last minute room. The bar is right beside the hotel, hot breakfast with waffles and a very nice pool and sauna room.

The only issue was the room phone, it did not work, the replacement did not work, so the wake up call in the morning was ineffective. Maybe part of daily room service should include a check that the phone works correctly!

My wife and I have stayed here for 5 years now, each time for about a week. The hotel is well maintained and the rooms are comfortable. The staff is about as good as they get. The breakfast is well done and hot with eggs, breakfast meat, cereal, waffles and lots of extras. Checking in and out was easy and quick. The swimming pool is very relaxing and the have a spa attached.

Surprisingly nice for the very reasonable price I paid. The exterior garden is really beautiful. Nice décor inside if a little shabby in places. Very nice and helpful staff. They got me a rollaway bed at the last minute and gave me a new key (after checking my ID) when I left my key in the room. Clean, comfortable room. Breakfast average. Would definitely stay there again.

This was my second stay here. My son and I go to the Twin Tier Comi-con every year in Elmira, NY. To me even though 20 miles away, this is the best value, amenities, staff and in the region. If I could stay at this quality everytime I traveled, Life would be great. Will definitely be back again.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Best Western a few weeks ago. Not only did we have the reception there, we also had a block of rooms booked for family. Everyone loved their rooms, breakfast, and friendly staff. The reception was great! We worked with Tracy, and she made everything as easy as possible. Our guests are still talking about the food, and the decorations. With such a big family, the Best Western was the perfect place to host such a large guest list. We couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate our wedding! Thank you to all the staff at BW, including kitchen, housekeeping, fitness, and front desk! (My dog also LOVED that he got treats. Yay for pet-friendly!)

Decent accommodations. Definitely not a corporate hotel as there were tons of contractors smoking outside the main lobby. Had a mysterious $30 charge on my credit card, but Discover took care of it. There is a really no other chain to stay at in the area unless you want to pay big bucks at the Hampton.

I would definately stay here again and highly recommend!!!! Love the decor and the look of the "old,luxurious" hotel feel. Definately an " adult hotel" not one where the newly of age come and party. The double beds are not huge, but very very comfortable. Breakfast was good, the pool was very nice but did not like the fact that you had to sign a towel out and in at the pool. Also the housekeeping staff might want to take a look behind the beds, and vacuum there. We found sunflower seeds on the floor, and had been there for a while. No huge issues, but simple things that can be taken care of.

The BWGV has been a favorite stay over for us for many years. The staff is friendly all through the hotel from the front desk to the lounge. The hotel has a noise curfew that helps keep it quiet come bedtime even when they have large groups. Beds are very comfortable!

The room was grungy. Yellow lights and grimy carpets. The bathroom saved the room because it was good and clean but the rest of the room needs improvement. Its time for the hotel to be updated. The breakfast though was well done, very nice room bright and cheery and good variety.

My parents and I stayed here for one night while we were in town. I think they could use new mattresses, but it was clean and the staff is very friendly. We ate at the train stop lounge which didn't have an extensive menu, but was quite tasty. I appreciated the continental breakfast. Make your own waffles, a yogurt topping bar, eggs, sausage, little donuts, bagels, fresh fruit. Definitely nicer than the run of the mill continental breakfasts I've had other places.

Beautiful hotel. Great breakfast. Had problem with toilet and were moved to new room. Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were really nice, with fridge and microwave. Pool and hot tub. All in all a great experience. Price was very reasonable, especially for the quality.

The hotel was fine and very busy at check in. It needs some major updates and some serious landscaping. The trees in the parking lot were in serious needs of pruning. The breakfast was the typical cold eggs and some mystery meat. You could hardly see in the bathroom mirror to put on makeup or to shave due to lack of lights. The mattress was hard and uncomfortable.

It was a nice hotel, very convenient to the places we wanted to go. However,the beds were not comfortable but we were only there for one night. The staff were very nice and helpful and the hotel was very clean.

Very average kind hotel with nothing very attractive. The biggest problem was there was no smile at any of staff it looks like they are not interested at all. During check in or check out not even courtesy to say hello or welcome. Breakfast was big chaos none of the staff member seems to be interested in helping. Though it's quite place but still I would suggest to look for another property at same price.

My husband and I stayed here on our way to Letchworth State Park. We weren't expecting much for the price and we were very happily surprised. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The fitness area is basically a true fitness center, not just a treadmill and weights. We were impressed that there were two racquetball courts, as this is something we often enjoy when vacationing, but don't find in hotels, just full-scale resorts. The pool and hot tub looked clean and nice although we didn't have the opportunity to use them. The room was well-appointed, attractive and clean. The bathroom was a nice size, as was the room. Will definitely make it a point to come back.

Not knowing ahead of time where I'd pull off for the night until moments prior I found this gem. I was looking for another one. Great looking lobby I noticed right away! Due to this I didn't think it would be in my budget. The friendly lady working have me a price that was good and I choose to stay vs find the cheaper one I was searching for. With the pool and hottub being down for the day I was there I got a room with a jet tub. Wow!! What a great room! Lots of space, very clean and well kept. Extremly quiet room from and wonderful bed. The tub and bathroom were both great. The halls were very sharp looking. And the room for breakfast was huge and well done. Nice selections and good quality!

Very clean hotel. Staff is great. Rooms aware updates and clean. Wifi included. We stayed 2 nights 2 years in a row and will go back again next year. The in house restaurant was fairly priced and good food.

Decent hotel with an excellent breakfast included. Good value for the price. Nice stop on the way out to western New York. On-site restaurant and bar available for weary travelers. Pet-friendly and apparently a popular location for events, since a wedding rehearsal was in progress!

Despite any problems, the stay is always pleasant. The breakfast layout is fantastic. The fitness center is good, especially the pool area. The food at the restaurant is ok. Recommend either a soup or a chicken wrap.

We were trying to book a hotel in nearby Ithaca, NY. As it turned out, Cornell University was having its moving in weekend when we were going for a tour at Ithaca College on August 17th and 18th. This Best Western was a blessing in disguise, not only significantly cheaper, $75/night directly through Best Westerns sight, hotels right in Ithaca avg $150-200/night. It was a relatively short ride to Ithaca, about 35-40 minutes, which we knew when booking the hotel. Because of this we were able to stay two nights instead of one, and were able to visit the college for a second day of tours. It was a very nice hotel for the area, rooms were nice, beds comfortable, A/C worked very well, nice pool hot tub and fitness center. Oh I almost forgot, the Continental Breakfast was excellent and amazing, among the choices for food; make your own waffles, bagels, toast, muffins, cereal, milk, juice, fruit, eggs, sausage, and outstanding coffee. This hotel is right near the highway, nearby was a gas station/mini mart, as well as 3-4 restaurants. We didn't try the restaurant/pub inside the hotel, but it gets great reviews here on TripAdvisor. It really out stay enjoyable as well as affordable.

Beds were comfortable, room was clean, breakfast was very good for a continental, pool and fitness center close at 9p on the dot! But if you are an early bird, it opens at 6a. Lounge food is basically a bar menu, but service was great. Front desk was a bit overwhelmed with only 1 person on a weekend. Overall, it was a good stay.

The reservation process and welcome when we arrived was easy, pleasant and customer-friendly - we called the hotel directly - Penny was awesome! Room, pool, hot tub, full breakfast, distance to other shops and attractions, - all within 10 miles - some 1-2 miles. Gas and small store directly across street and parking at hotel was great. Location one short turn off the main highway. Would stay there anytime!

We were there for 7 days, everyone was very nice and helpful, from the front desk, to housekeeping to the restaurant. We were greeted when we arrived and every time we left the hotel. The rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable. It was close to Highway 17 and I-86. Due to the flooding the bridge going east was washed out. If people are interested in the Tioga Casino I-86 can get you there. We had cool weather 40's to low 70's due to the resent rains.

Great location for any Finger Lakes activities. Pet friendly and you'd never know it (no loud barking, no pet odors). Awesome pool and hot tub. Clean, comfy room. Excellent wifi. Delicious, free breakfast.

The staff is courteous and helpful. The rooms are spotless. The breakfast is healthy and more than sufficient . The gym is clean and organized . The restaurant has well prepared food . They have a well stocked bar . I haven't tried the pool . They price is reasonable . Everything is all under one roof .

When I checked out at 5 am I asked Liz if she had any coffee made and she asked if I would like cream and sugar. I then went to my truck to liad my stuff and drive back up to the front door only to see Liz standing outside with my coffee. Never have I ever had that type of service in all my years of staying in hotels around the world. Thanks Liz

Called on a whim, got great service on the phone. Check in was simple. Penny at the front desk was super helpful and went over and beyond to find my membership card number. Bed was super comfy and the room was nice and clean. Breakfast was hot and had a variety. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent Best Western, one of the best breakfasts, very clean, friendly staff, near the finger lakes and a good value for the location. Seneca Lake not far away and Ithaca is an easy 45 minute drive away,

The room was a good value at $71 and had an excellent breakfast, among the best we've seen. Having said that the facility is clearly beyond the hey-day of its prime. Exterior of building and parking lot are in need of maintenance and upkeep. Interior is worn and chair in room had big tear due to wear. This would be easy to fix but for whatever reason is not a concern of BW parent or the local owner. Still, all in all, worth the price.

We always stay at Best Western when traveling. Grand Victorian Inn was absolutely the Best of the Best Westerns we ever stayed at. Highly recommend!! While we always get excellent service, clean rooms etc. The Grand Victorian just surpasses all others. Great job!

The staff at this country inn were sensational! From the desk, to housekeeping, to the bartender - they were all great! The room was average. Old decor throughout the entire hotel, but the bathroom was very nice! Complimentary breakfast was ok. Overall, an average hotel that I'll definitely use again.

I stayed for five nights. The place was very clean and well kept. I enjoyed the use of the pool and fitness center. Service was above and beyond. Breakfast was served from 6-10am everyday so you could sleep-in and still catch breakfast...awesome. I had no problem sleeping. The bed was wonderful. Service was great!!!

This hotel was the right price range (under $100), the rooms were large, clean and comfortable, and the pool and hot tub were clean and updated. Even better, as it was a weeknight, we were the only ones there! Great value for the money.

For the past couple of summers I've found myself working away from home . I'm very happy to have found the BW Grand Victorian Inn. The facility is always well kept and I can't say enough about the staff. Kind and helpful. I enjoy my time there,.... Thanks

I have stayed here several times a year for the last 5 yearsI have found this hotel very convenient to the Guthrie Group and Robert Packer Clinics, as well as Corning, NY. The hotel has a large fitness area and pool.

We stayed one night to break up a trip from Buffalo to Englewood NJ. The woman at the front desk 10pm was pleasant and provided effortless check in; and out (express check out). The room was clean and comfortable (rm in the 400's) not near the ice machine. Glad to have had the refrigerator. The pool was closed for a late night swim but we did enjoy it in the morning before a full breakfast with something for everyone. We really wanted to stay on our return trip but we went a different route.

The staff at the desk was very friendly. Our room was large and had a great desk to set up the computer. Bathroom had really nice tile and super clean. Bed was very comfy. Our room looked out on a small yard with a gazebo. Nice breakfast with hot foods as well as cold foods like cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit. Wish we could get such a nice room every night.

I was leaving the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital late Sunday night and needed a place for a single night. Driving back to Route 17 I came across the Grand Victorian Inn and it fit the bill. Nice room with very affordable rate. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was very good.

Traveling from Michigan to Long Island, we took the scenic route on I-86. This Best Western had decent pricing and located perfectly for an overnight. We were encouraged by reviews and have another to add that is positive. When you check out and reflect while going up the road about your stay, we found no negatives. This hotel has a warm staff, clean comfortable rooms, nicely decorated facility, and a very good breakfast to jump start the day. Whatever management and staff are doing, keep it up, you have a winner.

This is an excellent hotel; however, I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think that this place might have been something else or maybe it was just another brand name hotel and Best Western bought it. It might have always been a Best Western, though, but there is something "different" about it. It's not necessarily a bad "difference" either. Anyway, one thing for sure is that you can't beat the room prices. I looked at prices in Elmira, which weren't as bad as compared to room prices in Horseheads, Corning, or Painted Post. The prices in those place are quite high. But not only were the prices high in those three places, most if not all of the hotels in those three places were booked up as well - as in no rooms available this week. I think it may be because of the race track opening at Watkins Glen, but I am not sure. But getting back to this hotel. It was well worth the price even though it was about 35 miles from some of the tourist attractions that we wanted to visit. That distance isn't bad when most of it is along I-86. The hotel has quite a few amenities - an indoor heated swimming pool, a complimentary, decent help yourself breakfast buffet (which had all the usual items, and the items that needed to be fresh were indeed fresh), an on-site, reasonably priced, and decent restaurant/bar that had what I would say a very limited menu, 2 elevators, and a pretty well stocked fitness center that unbelievably had 2 racquetball courts one of which doubles as a single basketball court. My sons and I took advantage of the racquetball court. The fitness center has a name - Express Fitness that seems to have non-hotel guests using. There is also a tuxedo rental business which seemed a bit odd - Rockwells. And there were several meeting/banquet rooms. The hotel grounds are nicely maintained. That is, of course, except for the unused delapitated outdoor basketball court that was overgrown with weeds and small trees. It doesn't look like it had been used in over 15 years, maybe longer. Oh, but there is ample parking. Check-in was fast and easy and all the front desk personnel were friendly and each greeted us every time we past the front desk. And since the hotel is pet friendly we brought our 2 dogs. At only $10/pet/day, it was the cheapest pet fee that I have ever encountered. Upon entering the hotel with our dogs, the front desk person offered many treats for our 4 legged friends. That was a nice touch. The room itself is not the largest that we have stayed in, but it was adequate. The double beds seemed to be too old and are in need of being replaced. Queen sized beds would be a positive addition. The refrigerator came in handy, but it was noisy, and there was also a microwave. The flat screen TV was pretty good, too. We brought our own pillows as we usually do, but theirs were ok. And the a/c worked just great and wasn't too noisy. The bathroom was a good size, too, however either the exhaust fan was either not working or there wasn't one, we could not tell. The water pressure in the shower was perfect and the water came out hot when I needed it to be hot. We also ate in the restaurant the 1st night, and I must say that even though the bartender doubled as the waitress, she did an excellent job. Upon check-in we received a 10% discount coupon for the restaurant for each day of our stay. Even though the menu didn't have a lot of choices, the items that we chose were quite delicious. And it looked like the bar patrons were enjoying themselves too. The hallways were quiet the 1st 3 nights as there weren't many people staying at the hotel. The last night, however, was a little different with people singing Happy Birthday just after midnight. Thankfully the hotel enforces an 11pm quiet time, so that proved to be sufficient. The last amenity that I'd like to mention is the indoor heated pool. It is a decent sized pool, and there is a separate jacuzzi. We only used the pool one night as the other evenings seemed to be too crowded. The one odd thing about the pool was its location. To get to it, you had the take the elevator to the basement, walk through part of the fitness center, and then walk up a flight of stairs. This might be a bit of a problem for the handicapped person. You also had to check in at the fitness desk before using the pool. Check out was fast and friendly which was no surprise. After talking with the front desk clerks upon check-out, we learned that the hotel is used for multiple gatherings – weddings, proms, etc. Maybe that was the “difference” that I spoke about earlier. All in all, we were very satisfied with this hotel and we would stay in the hotel if we were to be in the area again.

Had a nice stay at this hotel. Visiting area for a graduation and this hotel was close to where our family lives. The breakfast was good with a fair amount of choices. My family enjoyed the pool while there too. Will stay here again next time we're in the area. If you go, eat at the train station grille a few minutes down the road - good food.

I would rank this hotel high if it were not for the difficulty of access to the pool and hot tub. For a handicap person or someone who does not like running up and down stairs to change or go to the bathroom, this pool and hot tub is located in a horrible location. I booked this room to celebrate our 45th anniversary for the hot tub! I am 64 and have had two knee replacements and I cannot climb up two flights of stairs easily. I also would not like to have to change downstairs and climb upstairs to get to the hot tub and then climb down them again in a wet suit to change while having someone sitting at a desk watching my difficulty.

Was nice to get away for a night, but the romance package was a bit of a bust. They were out of champagne (didn't really care but was part of package) and the chocolates they gave us had expired. Room was fairly clean, but mattress and linens were a bit under the expectations for what we paid for the room. There is a window between the bathroom and bedroom which is odd. Breakfast was quite good, except for cheap paper plates. Staff was professional and helpful.

Second year which we have stayed here to go to the IMSA race at Watkins Glen International raceway. It is about a 40 minute drive to the racetrack but the hotel is much less expensive than the hotels closer to the track. There are other races at the track including NASCAR and IndyCar where this would be a less expensive place to stay. Free breakfast is great and their parking lot is quite large so I could find safe parking for my sports car. We plan to stay here everytime we go the the racetrack.

Waitress and bar tender was very nice and made dinner enjoyable. All of the people were very nice. Dinner and portion size was great. Breakfast selection was good, food was hot and area was clean and inviting.

A little dated, elevators a little sketchy, and the pool was awkward to get to, but overall a decent overnight stay. The pool was warm, the fitness center was larger than expected, and the breakfast had a good variety. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and very helpful. Great price & great value.

I stayed at this hotel for one night to break up a long drive from upstate NY to Williamsburg, VA. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. This hotel is pretty large for a Best Western "roadside" hotel - because honestly I could not see any other reason to spend a lot of time in Sayre, PA. I chose this hotel for a number of reasons - the $88 rate, free breakfast, the gym and the onsite restaurant. Most hotel gyms are equipped with a couple of cardio machines and maybe some dumb bells. The gym at this Best Western is fully stocked with free weights, a full rack of dumb bells, weight machines and cardio equipment. Honestly, I think it's a gym open to the public but hotel guests can use it for free. The one downside to the gym - the equipment looks like it was donated from an abandoned prison - all of it has paint falling off and a lot of rust. While this did not affect my workout - it's definitely very old and worn equipment. I like staying in these type of hotels for one or two nighters because of the free breakfast - I don't need to pay $30 for eggs, toast and cereal. But what was nice at this Best Western - the restaurant on site for dinner. I didn't want to get fast food or order a pizza. So I went to the restaurant, had a seat at the bar and ordered a burger, with a side salad and a nice touch they have a selection of local craft beers on tap - bartender even gave me the remote to one of the TV's so I could choose what to watch while eating. Overall the hotel is traditionally decorated - a little old but did not feel worn. Hotel was clean, room had a fridge and a microwave - I think the mattress could use updating - it was soft but not pillow top mattress soft - more like - I've seen my share of guests over the years soft. If I were to ever stay in Sayre, PA again (highly doubtful) I'd probably return to this Best Western.

The employees were very nice, the breakfast was good and the room was nice and clean. The bar area was good and the drinks were yummy. We were only there for 1 night but slept comfortably and had a good breakfast to start our day.

Comfortable, value, a little dated. It is easy to get to the hotel, staff is welcoming and polite. Many amenities, such as pool, fitness room, Racquet ball courts (indoor) and bar/restaurant. Didn't get served at bar, so we went out to eat. Good place for cost. Comfortable and good nights sleep.

We had a wonderful stay. The room as clean and the hotel had a outstanding breakfast and a fitness center that included a racquetball court. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Just a one day drive from NYC.

Room was clean and quite. We stayed one night for a wedding. Lobby was clean, did not use any admenties or stay for breakfast. Would stay there again if in the area. We had a room in the back on the top floor near the staiwell. Al ittle pricy for just one night to sleep

Nice hotel, just minutes off the highway. Staff was very friendly and accommodating as we checked in right up to check out. Pool and fitness area is located on the ground floor away from the guest rooms. Breakfast is included and is better than average for most "free continental breakfasts". The kids enjoyed the make your own waffles. Price is reasonable. Rooms are clean. Great quick resting stop for the money

Stayed at a Best Western recently in Vinton LA and found it pleasant. Coming through on business I decided to try the chain again so I booked the Grand Victorian. I pulled up and immediately questioned if i wanted to stay there. Parking lot empty and entrance was badly in need of repair with visible mold. After checking online for a room at the Hampton Inn which was booked I decided to go in and check this hotel out. First thing I noticed when I walked into the lobby other than a darkly lit space was a mildew smell. Still I pressed on and checked in. Counter staff wasn't un pleasant but also at the same time not very welcoming either. I went to my room via the dirty elevator and walked down the dark hall like a scene from the Shining. Room wasn't dirty but very worn and old. Gloomy like the rest of the hotel. I sat on the bed and booked a room down the street at the comfort inn. I walked out immediately and didn't even ask for a refund. I wanted out. I don't know what the other reviewers are used to in a hotel but they are way off for this property. Maybe it was nice 20 years ago but that time has long left this place.

We stayed at the Best Western in Sayre, Pennsylvania while our granddaughters played in a softball tournament in Horseheads. Not the most convenient since the fields were 20-25 minutes away. This is not the fault of the hotel, just a quick comment. The room was clean, the breakfast was good and the room was very large, which isn't always the case. The fitness room was well stocked with equipment. The staff was very accommodating for us. We asked to go into the meeting room to be able to play cards and they had no problem with that request. The hotel was conveniently located to many restaurant option, fast food and sit down. Other options, i.e., Dunkin Donuts was very close.

It was a nice, short stay at the hotel. We had a great time because even though it is an old building, our room is nice, clean and we have all the amenities we needed. Free WiFi, good hot breakfast, has microwave in room, and we were able to walk around the area. There are lots of restaurants to choose from, a big grocery store and Variety stores. Highly recommended!

Been on several occasions and was never disappointed. Comfortable rooms. Plenty of parking (free). A complementary breakfast buffet. A bar right in the hotel with good drinks and food. Gym is good. Pool and whirlpool were a great way to unwind at the end of the day. We'll be back again in a few months!

The staff were very friendly and courteous. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed. The location was great, close to Tioga Downs. Breakfast in the morning was good, offered something for everyone but ran out of waffle batter early and also the sweets that were offered. The only complaint I had, is that the chlorine smell from the pool, assaulted you when you came in the front door and it was strong in the bar/restaurant area. When we asked, they said that you get to the pool thru the bar/restaurant. I was impressed of how clean the hotel was, from the outside, to the lobby, to the room. I would definitely stay in the hotel again.

Overal hotel was average, the staff were very considerate and professional. We stayed there for my young sons surgery and the hotel staff were very thoughtful and caring when they found out. I would stay here again, good fitness room.

There were items at the breakfast that I've never seen at a hotel before! Fresh fruit, waffles, juices, coffee, cereal, scrambled eggs & bacon, toast, bagels, jam, syrup and more! Everything was in great shape!

This hotel is very reasonably priced, close to the highway, elegant, clean, has a restaurant on site and free breakfast. Easy on off the highway, large parking lot, comfy beds, nothing to complain about at all.

Met friends here and enjoyed a convenient mid way rendezvous. This hotel is easy to find and convenient to the interstate. The registration clerk was accommodating in our requests for rooms close to the elevator. Both rooms appeared to have been remodeled in the not too distant past, and were clean and fresh. We enjoyed dinner in the inhouse lounge which with entries that were surprisingly good for hotel fare. Included breakfast was typical and adequate for a day starter. Although we did not take advantage of, the fitness facilities appeared to be significant. I extended an additional day and found the hotel to be within a reasonable drive of the winery attractions at Watkins Glen, New York as well as the Tioga Downs gaming establishment. All in all, a pleasant stay.

Awesome Jacuzzi suite with kitchenette, which was very affordable. Nice fitness center and pool. Fairly close to Tioga Downs Casino for entertainment. Hot buffet breakfast included. Excellent helpful staff!!

Overall, we were very happy with our stay (on two separate nights) at the Grand Victorian Inn. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well equipped. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was, as with most hotels, sadly lacking in protein - but served in the most pleasant hotel breakfast room we've ever seen. Backing onto the beautiful gardens, we watched the flowers grow and the rabbits play. Beautiful! However, because two members of my party of four are slightly handicapped, we are mindful of a facility's accessible features. This hotel was disappointing in three areas. 1. The closest handicap parking space was too far from the door for my companions to walk. 2. The front doors are manual, not automatic. At times, they were difficult for them to manage. 3. Our biggest complaint related to the pool/hot tub access. This was a holiday for us and, being lovers of a good dunk in a hot tub, we chose this hotel specifically for its advertised hot tub. On arrival, we were informed that the pool and hot tub were located in the basement. Fine. We took the elevator from our rooms to the basement and entered the fitness area. The gentleman on duty informed us that the pool and hot tub were back up a full and long flight of metal stairs. We were agog! When I asked about handicap access, he said we'd have to go back upstairs by elevator and walk through the lobby and the public restaurant in order to reach the pool. We were dumbfounded. There is no way elderly and handicapped people will be comfortable walking through a public restaurant in their bathing suits. We said thanks, but no thanks. When we mentioned this experience to a couple of other guests the next morning, they - neither handicapped nor elderly - agreed with us completely, saying they wouldn't use that kind of access either. For this reason, I plan to look for another hotel should we pass through Sayre again.

The staff was welcoming and very friendly one of them even took a selfie with our puppy! Our puppy was just 2 months old and needed to be brought out often , by the end of our stay, it seemed like the entire staff knew us and our puppy by name, because they saw us so much. The chamber maids we very kind as well. We would see them in hall and they would ask us how we were and if anything was needed. Highly recommend!

I was very, very well-treated at the BWGVI. It was immaculately clean. All the appliances in my room worked just fine. I was able to get any room supplies replenished easily. I enjoyed the fitness center's pool very much. When I asked for a luggage trolley "in the next 15 or so," it arrived at my room in 5 minutes. I could have been better treated, or more pleased!

I enjoy staying here when visiting the Elmira area. The hotel is nice, rooms are good. I ate once in the restaurant. I would suggest going down the road to the old railroad station for a meal. The breakfast is typical- take it as you will.

A great location and a beautiful hotel and staff remakable. I would recommend to all in need of a great place to stay, wheater on vacation or business or just for fun. It was an excellent experience with an attentive and caring staff, (the dining room hostess fed me like a mom) a very comfortable room and an exceptionally reasonable rate. Will not hesitate to stay again next trip to Sayre.

This is my semi annual stop on my Chicago trip. I have made this my one stop each of the last three years, and always enjoy the staff's hospitality, as well as the excellent breakfast buffet. I will return again.

We needed a getaway weekend and stayed here. The hotel is older but very well maintained and very clean. The first room we were given someone smoked in and the girl at the desk changed it very quickly and was very sorry about it. We had a room with a balcony and it was perfect for our really nice spring weather. The hotel is right next to a major highway and we were worried about noise but once the door was closed it was very quiet. We did not use the pool but it was a really nice pool area and exercise facility. The breakfast room was very large and very nice with large windows looking into the back yard, very nice for the morning. Any of the staff we saw or spoke to was very friendly. I would stay again if in this area.

The staff has always been very friendly and very accommodating. Nice hotel. We Have stayed here numerous times. Never had any issues regarding the hotel or staff. Dinner menu in the Black Diamond lounge is limited but everything has been good.

I live 2 hrs away from Robert Packer Hospital and I needed to be there early in the morning, so I stayed at the Best Western less than a mile away from the hospital. Everyone was very helpful and courteous and friendly, the room was very nice, and the breakfast was very good.

staff was rude especially the front desk personel and the manager. they made me feel insignificant and like a degenerate. I stayed here all week I'm different rooms and they made faces and whispered about my debit card..this isn't the first time either 6 months ago the manager was just as rude!!!

Such a great place to stay on your drive to NYC. Staff are so nice and go above and beyond to make your stay more comfortable. I love that this is a Pet Friendly hotel and that they treated my dog like a human guest! Thanks for a great stay!

The staff was very friendly, rooms and hotel were very clean, was just what we were looking for.. easy to find off highway .. if we need another room when this area this will be our first choice defiantly .

This is are second visit to this hotel and will not be the last! We have travel to the area every few months. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean. Pool area is very clean and does not have that over powering chlorine smell that you find in some hotels. Very nice whirlpool in pool area. Free breakfast has eggs, meat, waffles as well as the usual continental selections. My kids love the toppings available for the waffles and cereal. We ordered food from the lounge both times and food was very good! My kids literally act like we are at Disney World when we stay here!

I stayed here to see family and I had just drove 16 hours straight from sc. The lady at the front desk made the check in process quick and saved me some $. She also was extreamly friendly and made me smile even tho I was so so tired. When I came back to my room from my family's my daughters clothes and blanket were folded for me and put on bed. As a mother this made me extremely happy! After my experience I will not stay anywhere else. I will only spend my $ here. Thank you at the Sayre best western in PA!!!!!

Overall, a clean, accommodating environment. Staff is friendly and helpful. Have stayed many times and it is relatively consistent on providing patrons with a pleasant experience. Confortable beds, traditional full breakfast options and even more amenities I have not taken advantage of.

rooms were nice. food should be avoided in the restaurant. no accomodation if you are a smoker. no pool. Restaurant and bar service was slow. The food was likely of the frozen entre type. highly recommend finding some other place to eat. sorry no ideas on that as I got stuck eating 2 nights there and they were equally poor.

We have spent many a weekend at the hotel. The rooms are nice, neat and very clean. They have a nice restaurant which serves a nice breakfast. The staff is courteous and understanding if theirs an issue. If you get a chance, enjoy the bar which has nice entertainment on weekends.

We only stayed one night, but we would go back if we are in the area again. The staff was very friendly. The rooms and breakfast are really good for the price. It's was nice to have a bar on the premises since there didn't seem to be much in the area.

As I've said being a trucker I never know where I'm going to end up. But, thanks to the web I have found more Best Westerns along my way and plan on returning to them when ever I am in that area. I enjoyed the chair and the foot stool. After a long day behind the wheel, That is a very nice way to relax and get re energized for the next day.

This hotel was very nice.. classy and clean a step above just a budget hotel.. lobby was lovely, bed was comfy, breakfast was hot and generous. Windows opened to let fresh air in, a nice treat. Easy on/off to the highway. We went to the movies in town, a nice old fashioned theater and ate local at the recommended Grille in town.

I found my room to be Clean and comfortable. The employees were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good selection and a very nice variety. Gee, I don't know what else to say, we rolled in late, tired. We were treated well and found everything satisfactory. By the way, our dog was welcomed.

Room was nice, nothing too fancy. Neighboring rooms could be heard and the doors slamming was very loud. Beds were very squeaky and you could feel the springs when moving at all. Bathroom was very nice and clean. Breakfast was nice but the staff was very busy and had difficulty keeping up with the demands of those using the breakfast area. Had a nice variety of food to choose from. Had a variety of activities for you to use : basketball, racketball,pool,sauna,etc.

We love Best Western hotels, this one seemed to have a few issues, but overall a good stay. The staff was excellent however, there were a few problems with appliances in breakfast room and a sticky door lock that was aware of.

Called the front desk to inquire, if towels were available at the pool?, as some establishments wish you to keep room towels in the room. If you take you room towels to pool then you do not have towels for in your room latter. I was told yes, towels are available at the pool. At the pool no towels could be found, went to nearby fitness center and was provided 2 (two) skimpy (dish/ hand towels). one for self and one for spouse. It was obvious that we were going to use the pool, as we were dressed in swimming attire. Asked for an additional towel due to small size and got strange look from male staff worker siting behind desk, as if I was bothering him. Another hand towel was then provided. Enjoyed the nice swim in the pool, but that changed when drying of with a rough/ course hand towel. I should have taken the room towel. Other guest had brought towels from home, maybe they knew from previous experiences and others had some from their rooms I believe. Also barking dog in adjacent room during the overnight hours. Hotel not at capacity so why but other guests next to room with pets?

We were here for a wedding reception and chose to spend the night. So very happy that we did. The staff is wonderful, the accomodations very very good. Breakfast items very good and plentiful. What we got for the rate we paid was incredible. Will definitely be back.

Everything about my stay ranged from good to average with the exception of the Lounge/Grill. BAD EVERYTHING. Over an hour to get food and it was the worst burger I ever had. Warm beer...staffed by a single person ...management of this operation, non-existent.

The hotel itself was ok. Clean, quiet, but nothing special. Th ebreakfast was ok, but again nothing to look forward to. But the food in the restaurant was extremely good value. The special Tacco salad kept me eating for a good half hour, long enough to sample a couple of the excellent draft beers

This was my first time staying at this hotel and it was excellent. Heather was awesome and made the stay even more enjoyable. She was nice and helpful and made me feel welcome. It was a nice and clean hotel. It was a great property and it was extremely reasonable. It also had a great fitness center and pool. I will definitely be back

On August 13,2016 I was in a double wedding and reception at the Grand Victorian. While we had booked months in advance, the hotel overbooked for the same day. On the night prior, the event planner tried to force us into having the reception for 200 guests in the small lobby. Guests checking in,elevators open and closing, patrons wandering out from the bar adjacent to the lobby all free to interrupt. When I refused, the event planner become upset and somewhat sarcastic. The next day the wedding was beautiful. It went well and I have no complaints about the ceremony. The reception,however is a different story. First the soda was flat. No big deal, except the event planner at first became snarky and claimed that she couldn't solve the problem. Next, I was served alcohol when she was told repeatedly that I take meds and alcohol could have a fatal effect. Then she,the event planner was rude to guests, kept coming up to the bridal party and complaining about things that guests were bringing to her attention. There were other issues but I feel I have made my case for NOT patronizing the Grand Victorian. A couple days later I spoke with the general manager. I explained why I was disappointed. He brought his event planner in and she denied every single issue. In fact she was snarky during that meeting, and he,the general manager seemed very sceptical that anything I said was true. After two meetings in two days, they offered to refund each couple $250. I felt insulted, since we spent nearly $10,000 for the event, the hotel booked over a dozen rooms and they made several thousand dollars in the bar from the guests if our wedding.

Arrived late after driving for eight plus hours and was greeted by friendly staff. Quick check in and no hassles getting to our room. Front office staff mentioned lounge was still open so we could get some food. Had a great supper with hardly no wait time. Very clean room and bed was comfortable. Would stay there again any day.

Right off the highway, easy to find, loads of parking ~ no hassles getting here... Clean comfortable room, spacious - wifi, desk and table. Our room came with a refrigerator and microwave, would be a great choice for a multi-night business stay. The lobby was well appointed, roomy ~ restaurant on site (room came with a 10% off coupon). Several event rooms, and a lovely backyard gazebo area for a wedding. Free breakfast is a nice plus, Belgian waffle maker, juices, lots of food choices.

This is the best Best Western we have stayed in in our travels. The food was great, room was clean and we were there on taco Tuesday which was great. We have travel considerable and found this Best Western to be the best of them all.

I grew up in the valley but have been gone for several years. I remember when this was the Guthrie Inn. Lily, the front desk clerk was very helpful and very accommodating. You an outstanding employee in Lily and the rest of the staff was very nice as well. We really enjoyed our stay here for three days that we were visiting friends and family. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. Very good complimentary breakfast as well. Well Done!

We enjoyed a 1 night stay at the BW Grand Victorian in Sayre PA in early September. The hotel is very big, and is very welcoming and cozy. Room was large (with a king bed), as was the bathroom, and was spotlessly clean! Good in-room lighting and very fast internet connection. Buffet breakfast (included in room rate) was a mix of hot and cold items. Dinner at on-site restaurant/bar was very good, with a wide range of selections. You receive a 10% discount coupon to the restaurant, which is a nice feature. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Any time we are driving through upstate NY, we will make a detour to stay at this hotel in Sayre. Quiet and clean, the hotel is also incredibly reasonable in price. Free breakfast, free internet, free parking. Best Western "gets it".

I extensively checked the web for the Corning, NY area for a hotel. I thought the Best Western Grand Victorian is a beautiful hotel and a great value. The room was very comfortable, clean, quiet, and everything worked. The breakfast was a great selection and very well presented. The pool was a great size. The hot tub was plenty warm. I thought the fitness center was one of the best equipped for a hotel gym. I hope to return for another stay at this hotel.

This hotel is one of the cleanest I've been to in a long time. The price was very reasonable, the staff very friendly, the full breakfast was delicious, the pool and jacuzzi were well kept. Can't say one bad word about my stay. Would definitely stay there again and refer it to my friends and family :-)

Stayed the night for a girls get together and it was perfect! Close to great restaurants and bowling which was on our itinerary and 45 minutes away from Watkins Glen where we finished our trip. Would recommend to all!

We noticed some things were not at their best. Older lighting in the hallways and such, but the rest of the facility was great, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Quiet rooms. Even the AC was not too loud. The breakfast area is very large, the food was great. Scrambled eggs and sausage one day, bacon the next, plus the standards. Cereal, yogurt, pastries. When in the area I will stay again

This hotel was a nice surprise! The location was a bit in the middle of nowhere, but really worked for where we needed to be. The hotel lobby was very nice, and the breakfast room was large with a lot of selection. The staff was very friendly, it was very clean and breakfast was great. We would definitely stay here again!

This is an outstanding hotel with good service and amenities. The staff is excellent and they take care of you and the hotel. Their indoor heated pool and spa are wonderful. The breakfast is good and well done with lots of choices. The rooms are very nice, clean and airy. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Waverly/Sayre/Elmira area.

Good property for family or business. Service staff may need to pay more attention to the details--especially concerning refreshing room for next night stay. It was difficult to tell whether our beds had been made; the staff had the entire morning and afternoon to complete the task. The facility was not even at half capacity--hopefully just a bad day.

Was a lovely hotel, staff very friendly. ( they offer a 10% discount to customers, if you're dining at the lounge, only if you remember to mention and show the discount slip, that they slip into your key card envelope, if you do not see the discount slip, no one will remind you of the fact that you should have gotten one for dining in the lounge. ) We found ours in our key card envelope after the fact. Mentioning this to the staff person at the front desk the next morning, I was told I should have presented it the night before, I would have if I had seen it, or knew that it was there for my use. The whole time we dined, no one in the lounge mentioned to us about this discount slip....not even when we had our meal placed on our room #. It's a very nice hotel, but, don't expect them to honor their offers. Breakfast is kind of skimpy too.

It was a nice place to stay on our trip, right there off of the Interstate. Rooms clean, beds comfortable, spacious room. Hotel has a bar/lounge/restaurant for convenience. There is not much else in the immediate area. The hotel is between Binghampton and Corning.

A nice place in an area that not much else is offered. It was a lot nicer than I had figured it would be. We were touring colleges and had to stay over. Not far from the wine region of NY I would definitely stay there again.

This little gem of a hotel is tucked away in a country setting which is quiet and peaceful compared to normal locations in town or at main highways exits. The rooms and all facilities and services provided were excellent. I would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

Clean, comfortable and friendly. Good location and great breakfast! Enjoyed the pool and yacuzzi. My husband and I were in the area for our high school reunion and many of our classmates also enjoyed a wonderful stay.

The room was very clean, staff was knowledgeable of the area and very helpful, excellent complimentary breakfast, will definitely stay here again. We stayed in a king suite with jacuzzi , but the only thing that I can see as a downfall was the window between the bathroom and the rest of the room. I wish there was a curtain that you can close so the person who is in the room can't see in the shower whIle someone else is in there showering.

I stay here often and always find it to be clean, the staff is always friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to make your stay great and for those who are travelling through, it is at the end of the ramp from the highway.

I think the staff are working hard to satisfy those of us who stay. This is a very quiet hotel. Very good location to the freeway and gas station. Easy location to places to eat on the local roads. Solid breakfast. Very clean and friendly staff!

Staff was very attentive and helpful at all hours of day and night. Great breakfast served by great servers. Room was clean and recently renovated (I think). Towels thick and fluffy. Bedding just right amount of softness. Sheets crisp and clean.. Linens and towels had faint bleach smell.. just right.

Excellent stay, exterior could use a face-lift but the rooms were clean, beds were spotless and the bathroom was clean and those are the only things that really matter to me. Not a whole lot of stores and restaurants in the immediate area but for some, that's not a concern.

In your showers, it was nice to see floor grabbers so a person won't slip. The breakfast food was great and the comfort of the chair in my room was very nice. Being a trucker I never know where I'm going to end up. But, if I'm in the area I'll stop in again in the future.

Good service. Clean room. I previously lived in Sayre when the Hotel was built. It was the first quality / new facility in the area. Over the years it has had its ups and downs. Currently is in very good condition, the staff very courteous and nice amenities. The one area they have not paid attention to is the grounds. The plantings are dying, the basketball court is in ruins etc. While these affect the exterior appearance, they are not representative of what is inside. I would recommend staying at the hotel.

A great end to a long day. This hotel off of the I86 is clean and modern. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The included breakfast was good and the dining area was huge and clean. From what I heard from the other visitors in the elevator the fitness center and pool are wonderful also. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I found that our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff at BW Sayre was helpful, personable and professional. The only negative for me was the small, soft pillows. Glad I packed my pillow from home to use later in the trip when we weren't staying at a hotel. We did not make use of the fitness center. We had the buffet breakfast, variety of food was good, scrambled eggs were a little watery - I wondered if they used powdered eggs.

This hotel has a beautiful campus and very nice accommodations. When traveling from Michigan to the northeast coast we enjoy using I86 through New York state rather than the NY Thruway. The road dips down into Pennsylvania for a short time, and this is where Sayre is. The town is nice and has many places for eating and shopping. The rooms are very nice and clean, and the staff is always helpful and friendly. Breakfast is typical of hotel offerings, but adequate and nicely presented.

Located directly off of the NY Southern Tier and half way between our home and final destination. Good value with breakfast included. Have used this facility twice and was happy with the selection. If you decide to stay at this facility I would also recommend the The Grille and Train Station casual dining located close to this facility.

Rooms were nice but furniture out dated! Breakfast wasn't as nice as other places I have stayed but it was ok. Staff was nice and helpful! Local to family and close to things to do. AC works ?? nice lobby. Nice pool and hot tub. Quiet and peaceful. Nice deck but it's kinda hot so didn't get to enjoy.

We picked Sayre as a halfway stop to Gettysburg. The Best Western is a good chain so we picked it online and arrived in afternoon. Wow! our expectations were blown away, it was so nice. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Lisa at the front desk gave us instructions to find the WalMart...we are on motorcycles so didn't want to get lost. Our room was very well appointed and very clean...Bonnie was our maid. We felt the room price was reasonable. There was a pool (warm) and a fitness room but we didn't have time to try either. We went to dinner in this hotel and loved the penne alfredo, and the special that night of chicken in gravy over biscuits. This hotel is easy to find on your GPS and there is a gas station right across from hotel entrance - important for cycles with a five gallon tank! Our dining waitress was also the bartender that night and still took good care of us - Laura. We then booked the following Sunday for our return trip home.

The hotel is great in terms of location and service. We were traveling from Niagara to NY and stayed here for a night on our way to NY. The hotel staffs are extremely nice and professional. We were greeted nicely both at check in and check out. The hotel is very close to the freeway and there is a 24hr convenient store right across from the hotel. So the location is great.The hotel appeared to be an old one. So the rooms reflect that. However, everything was clean and well maintained. The breakfast quality could be improved though.

The house keepers, breakfast people, and front desk were all amazing! Everyone did a solid job! It a great place to stay! The rooms were super clean and food was great. The prices were perfect. And fitness area was a lot of fun.

Fantastic place to stay. Clean. Spacious. The name Grand Victorian is just that. A grand place to stay. Convienent to Ithaca and Cornell University with a nice drive in a scenic country side. Would definitely stay here again. All I can say about the breakfast offering..."BACON!!!" Nothing.like having bacon as part of the free breakfast offering.

Our overnight stay at BW Grand Victorian Inn was a surprise. The staff was very helpful, the room clean and comfortable, the breakfast filling. The pool and exercise room was great for a break in a road trip. The nearby town had several restaurants and the Hotel has one as well. We explored and ate in town. Would stay here again.

We were going to a race weekend at Watkins Glen Raceway and everything very near were quite expensive. The Best Western Victorian in Sayre, PA is about 45 minutes from the raceway and the savings was well worth the commuting to Watkins Glen. The free breakfast was a hot breakfast and was very good. The breakfast workers were very friendly and kept everything stocked well. Large parking lot with good lighting so felt comfortable parking my vette there. The front desk staff were very friendly. We never had any problems in our two days so were very pleased with our stay.

Everything was excellent, but you promise your guests 3 free movie channels, than you need to be up front on way this service is no longer available. Don't make promises that you cannot keep. The breakfast presentation was better than some other Best Western hotels.

Clean and comfortable. Just off the highway, but the room was quiet. Fridge and microwave in the room, and close to grocery store. Easy 45-50 minute drive to Watkin's Glen. Did not use the pool and fitness center. Breakfast was OK (eggs, meat and waffles in addition to the usual cold options). My second stay here when visiting The Glen.

The staff and actual hotel is a real home away from home. I just can't wait to go back! Everything about this particular hotel is absolutely outstanding! The lounge, the restaurant from breakfast to dinner, the fitness center, the rooms, you seriously can't go wrong!

Great breakfast, great accommodations, very clean, staff was awesome. The setting/location was beautiful :) Even though the location was semi-isolated, there was a lot to do in town and you're within 30 minutes of some beautiful state parks !

Many new hotels have gone up in the area but this is the best. Clean with lots of amenities. Close access to highway . With both a bar and restaurant no need to search for things. Clean, good exercise room and plenty of parking.

We loved our stay at the Best Western Grand Victorian Inn in Sayre, Pennsylvania. The room was beautiful, although I have to say that if you are wheelchair bound, the handicapped room we were in didn't see wheelchair-friendly to me. The bed was so comfy I fell right asleep. The biggest complaint I have is their lack of luggage racks which hindered our checkout. However, the staff was on top of it as soon as they realized our problem and they went up to our room, helped bring everything down to the lobby and then out to the car. I would not hesitate returning to this hotel. In fact, I look forward to it!

I recently stayed when traveling for a baseball tournament. The room was very clean and the desk accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was standard. The hotel offered many facilities. If ever in the area again would stay again. The hotel has a gym, racket ball court and pool which would work well if traveling with children

If you are looking to be treated as a second-class citizen then you come to the right place. Employees would rather talk on the phone than talk to a person standing in front of them both at check-in and check out.

After going to a memorial service for our Uncle, we came back to the hotel for something to eat, and the ten of us waited at least one hour and 45 minutes to get our food to eat. And then to make things worse, the waitresses came back and said "Didn't you get your food yet"? Hello, no plates on the table would have been a good clue to that, Enough said!!!

I'm on the road a lot. I never know where I'm going to end up. But, I do know where the good hotels are from the bad ones. The room was real nice. I was put up on the top floor so, I was not awaken by any noises. Which is good for us drivers. The breakfast was good. Nice quiet area. Plus it is nice having parking area for the big truck.

Handsome, well maintained public areas and guest rooms. Top quality mattress and bedding. Bathrooms sparkle and the room was super clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. All of the room amenities associated with a superior class hotel are included. 100% smoke free and the windows open. Breakfast bar (included in room price) was abundant and good. Guests have use of a very well equipped health club with free weights, resistance machines, a cardio work out area, racquetball court, sauna and steam bath. Nice sized heated indoor pool equipped with a handicap lift device. The hotel is over 35 years old and was originally called the Guthrie Inn. The one negative was the heating/cooling unit. The digital temperature display wasn't very accurate in heating mode. I had to set the temp at 88 degrees before the unit turned on.

Excellent choice if you want to go to Tioga Downs and stay overnight. Very clean and a pretty good breakfast included with the stay. We have stayed here 5 years now and we have a group of about 6 other couples who also stay

I had cancer surgery at Robert Packer Hospital and the Best Western offered a beautiful and convenient place for my wife to stay rather than to have to make the one hour trip back and forth to home. The hot continental breakfast that was included was also a nice entity as it saved my wife from having to go out to eat.

Such a nice place to hang your hat at the end of the day. I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. The location is perfect for our visit to Zion, Waverly for the pastors convention.

Extremely pleased with the atmosphere, the staff, the free breakfast and the cleanliness of the public bathrooms. If you request a handicapped room, you'll have wider doors, and a bathroom that is more suited for handicapped or older individuals. Nice meeting rooms. Excellent, ready to please, staff!~

I stayed at this hotel to attend a family reunion and I wish I hadn't. The lobby area is presentable but the rooms are terrible. The one we were in was very old, outdated décor and the musty smell was off putting. They had a microwave near the bed, which is something unheard of (better off not having one at all) so the appliance's red light would be on my face when I turned off the light. I had to get up and unplug or I would not sleep. Not a good value.

Pleasant stay, clean, comfortable. Did not use any facilities due to short stay. Due to short stay did not have time to utilize amenities offered.Arrived late left early next am. Breakfast was very good and available early am, for which I was grateful since I had to get back on the road. Overall good choice. would certainly stay again when traveling in area.

The hotel location is very convenient to Tioga Downs Casino, where we were going to see a local band play. The staff was very kind and helpful and the rooms were very nice as well. The full breakfast was a plus.

In my opinion, this was one of the cleanest hotels my wife and I have ever been to! Not the newest, but clean everywhere. The staff was a pleasure to deal with and we had no problems at all. We also brought our two dogs with us, and were welcomed by all as well. Overall a very pleasurable experience, and will return to this hotel often.

Very nice place to stay. The staff is always friendly, any needs that you may have are addressed immediately and the breakfast buffet always pleases. If you are going to be in this area than this is the place where you want to stay.

We were there this past weekend for a banquet & decided to stay over. First, this hotel is pet friendly, so we were able to bring our dog with us. The property is situated right off the Sayre exit on 17W. Easy on; Easy off. Easy check in process. Ample parking. Nice area to walk the dogs. Good pool -- fun for the kids. Very nice breakfast! Room was large & bathroom was a good size. Plenty of room to put the dog crate right by the bed. Only complaint (reason for not giving this hotel a 5 rating) was that the bed was probably the most uncomfortable bed we've ever slept in. Absolutely no back support whatsoever. Great banquet rooms and food was very good. There is a nice bar at the hotel as well.

Decided to stop here after visiting the Casino, should have drove the hour back home. Went to there dinning room, yuk ! You gotta be kidding me. My wife ordered loaded nacho's with beef. They brought her nacho chips with cheese covered with steak um's. Disgusting. The bartender left to go out and smoke so we never got a refill or service of any kind. Went to the hotel needing machine to buy here a Diet Coke to wash the terrible taste out. And the machine is empty. Decided to go to room and make coffee. Yep you guessed it they didn't have any regular coffee. Only decaf. Yuk again. Room is somewhat nice but I'm afraid to go to breakfast in the morning. Not what I'm used to from a Best western hotel. Will probably not be returning anytime in the future. Should have drove home.

My wife and I love using this hotel for an occasional getaway. The restaurant is not packed and the rooms are always clean. Sometime soon, if we go there and actually leave the room, we might even try the pool out. There are a couple of other establishments you can walk to for variety, or you can easily drive to dozens of places if you want to. We always have a great time when we go there.

One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in as to how clean it was. The staff was very friendly. The location was close to the venue we wanted to go to. The rooms are well maintained. The free breakfast is a nice touch. A good variety of food for young and old.

Any time I'm passing through Sayre PA, I only stay here...this hotel is just awesome. It's always quiet, the rooms are clean and the beds are very comfy. I highly recommend it! I also was glad to have a hot breakfast before heading out on a really cold day. There were eggs and sausage in addition to other items at the breakfast they offer.

I have traveled to this area for over 30 years and remember when this property was considered high end. The property is a little dated but well maintained and the staff was very helpful and friendly.The rooms had twin beds and I would have preferred queen, but I did know this beforehand. The price was very reasonable and I would stay there again. It is very conveniently located to the highway and centrally located to the three towns in the area. Overall a nice experience.

We stay 1 night on the way from Toronto to New York. It was really good deal. The hotel close to the high way, but very quite. The room and the bathroom were super clean. The breakfast was excellent and the lady at the reception was very nice and professional.

My husband and I stayed at this property on our way home from visiting family. Everything was perfect- our room was one of the cleanest I have seen, and the staff couldn't have been nicer! We will definitely be returning!

My wife and I were looking for a nice romantic getaway, and we chose this hotel. We were surprised to find out we could upgrade to a package and get our dinners paid for, so we jumped at the opportunity. We had a great time and we will definitely be back, and might try one of the other special packages, or the Romantic Getaway again.

Stayed here when a family member was transferred to the nearby hospital due to critical medical condition. My daughter booked for us as we were directed from hospital to hospital in transit. The hotel where we had originally booked was very gracious in refunding our prior booking due to medical emergency. Another family member asked where we were staying and were very surprised at the reasonable cost of staying in such a nice hotel- so were we. The hotel was lovely, the staff professional & gracious, and, although we were not able to use some of the facilities due to our schedule- I walked through the hotel to "see what we were missing"- nice hotel. Breakfast had good variety, well prepared & neatly presented. The young woman kept everything spotless- with a genuine smile. The hours for breakfast were more extensive than at other hotels where we have stayed- our late hours at the hospital made us so appreciative of the extra freedom. We did not return to the hotel in time to use the restaurant- but the discount provided, proximity and the great smells emanating from the restaurant would certainly call us in on another visit. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Nothing remarkable nor bad to say about this hotel. We did sleep very good the first two nights we were here. Breakfast is pretty typical continental, but the waffle area was nice. Did not have a chance to go to the pool. Internet connection was so-so. Easy accessibility to 86E&W.

We were meeting family at the Corning Museum of Glass so I wanted a hotel close by with a pool for kids and hot tub for me. This is right off the highway and you can't beat the price for what you get (pool, hot tub, free breakfast with hot options beyond cereal, yogurt, and fruit). We will stay there again as it's a great halfway point to meet family from Western NY.

Traveling home from Gettysburg on a motorcycle, we were ready to pay whatever we had to and accept the room available. Good room, good price, and a good dinner at the in house restaurant. Sunday morning breakfast was more than adequate.

This was the most pleasant motel stay I have ever incurred. Thanks to the front desk clerk, we were made to feel like family. For someone as young as she was, she was very mature and made us feel very welcome.
