Best Western Plus Richmond Airport Hotel

The night before my flight I was exhausted had been working 22 days in a row, I wanted some peace and quiet walked into best Western. You could smell the Cleaners, I was greeted with a friendly smile. I had a room on the second floor, I I mentioned to the young lady that I was exhausted. She said let me do something for you. I will put you on the first floor where it's quiet and close to the door as you're bringing in your luggage. Is there anything I can bring to your room, some juice, some water, coffee, and let me help you with your luggage. Best western is the best place to stay where they treat you like family

What I just experienced was one of the most unacceptable despicable displays of disrespect towards women as well as a valued best western customer. I am checked in this hotel right now and planned on extending however tommorow I will be contacting corporate and checking out. I came to Richmond for a business trip and as a best western member decided to stay at this location as last time I frequented Richmond I had a pretty good experience at this hotel. Unfortunately this is not the case this time. I left to walk to the store and noticed a man who was sitting by the breakfast area. He spoke I spoke I went to the store. As I came back he said “hello” I said” hello” he then said “HELLO” very rude as if I didn't answer him the first time. I explained I said hello and that I was on the phone. He then carried on about how he worked as security there and he needed my room number because he didn't know I was staying there. I explained he seen me on the way out and he started yelling at me. Angrily I told him as he stood up and walked towards me shouting saying I was “ghetto and rude” that I was a woman and if he wanted to yell at me I would get my husband. He kept demanding my room number and told me to get my husband and said he was tired of American women being rude and always having attitude. He kept yelling as I was telling him why are u yelling at me ur a grown man and he said verbatim “I don't give a f&*** woman man if your rude I don't give a f*%# Ultimately this was all because of a hello? It makes no sense . He told me he would get my room on the camera as I went to it if I didn't want to give it to him. Now I am extremely uncomfortable as i got cussed out. There was also a lady in the hall who witnessed the whole encounter. Please check the cameras to ensure the validity to the story of him walking up on me screaming. This is not the way anyone in customer service should carry themselves nor should it be the experience of a paying hotel guest let alone a best western rewards member. I'm disappointed in the disposition language and overall behavior of the employee of the best western and will be taking this to corporate. As I am far away from home I have never felt more disrespected degraded and overall concerned for my safety staying at an establishment

My stay was for business and I was alone for 3 nights and it rained and had bad internet. Breakfast was OK but could've been better and I was put off by the weed smell that consumed the hallways and dining room. Overall the price was good for what I received, tho the cleaning in my room was not done daily.

I was flying into Richmond late one night only to fly out mid-day the next day and needed somewhere to stay. I didn't exactly want to spend $200 or more and came across the Best Western Plus Richmond Airport. While the hotel itself is a little dated, it's clean, the staff is extremely nice, the breakfast was phenomenal (SO MANY CHOICES and amazing presentation!) If I ever find myself in need of a hotel room in the Richmond area again I would most definitely stay here! I think the only negative thing I can think of is that there was no hair dryer in the bathroom.

Property is old and not very well maintained. Key card would not open the side door -- found out later that it was broken. Place smelled like too much Lysol. Key would not open the door to the room, even though we got the "green light.". Scuzzy looking character hanging around in the lobby. Decided not to stay here.

The room was clean and contained all necessities. Beds were a bit hard. Breakfast was hot and good. Shuttle service was good and timely. Front desk staff wasn't always available. Snack machines didn't work.

Staff were courteous, however amenities were sub-par, e.g. shower unusable as tub faucet fell off and squirted water from bare pipe; AC cover hanging off; all vending machines as well as pancake-maker out-of-order.

Good value for the stay. Clean rooms, friendly service. Great breakfast included with stay, hot and cold buffet, best part of the stay. Rooms could use a little renovation but otherwise pleasant stay. Close to resteraunts and airport.

we have stayed here for many years but not anymore. Best western has been the only place we stay while traveling. The beds were Terrible, no recognition for being a diamond member. the shower had no water pressure, just a trickle. Maybe because we were on the 4 floor. We will still use Best western just not this one.

My Family and I were in need of a hotel really quickly, and this was by far the best and least expensive and also close to everything....food, entertainment, and medical! They have a customer for life!!! The past hotels in that area were horrible even bugs in our room and Damp, but Best Western came through!!!! Awesome Hotel and Staff!!!!

This location was the most pet friendly and cost effective place in the area. The rooms were very nice & comfortable. Breakfast was great with many choices, like eggs, sausage, pastries, cereal, waffles, etc. Highly recommend!

The beds in the rooms are old box spring. Don't come here expecting a comfortable rest. Room was clean though, so they had that going for them. Wifi was fast enough to stream from my Plex server back home. Breakfast was really good. Made up for the bad beds a little. Full buffet. Pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, eggs, cereal, fresh fruit.

My stay was comfortable my room was very clean my bed was clean and very comfy .I really enjoy their breakfast in the morning it a great start to day. this hotel is the best location for me and it is in distance of everything shops restaurants

Excellent for price, facility was very clean. The staff was very good. The bed was comfortable. It's only 10 minutes away from the airport for those that are traveling that way. There was also free transportation to and from the airport.

We stayed at this hotel for a night to be close to the airport. The staff was very friendly, the location is well landscaped, there is an Arby's in walking distance, and the room was very clean and everything in order.

The woman who ran check in/check out/drove the van was awesome. The remainder of the staff was rude & nasty. Drug freaks were going on around the place. We never felt safe. We were constantly on guard. As it turned out, our flight was canceled. We had to stay the night but went to a different hotel. It was completely different. Same price but amazing staff.

Whoever took the pictures for this place deserves whatever award photographers get for amazing lighting and staging. This place is dingy, dirty, dark, and smells so horrible once you get into the room. We were late coming in from charlotte thanks to American Airlines and they did hold our room. We arrived around 8:45 am (we were supposed to be there around midnight the night before) and just wanted to try and get some sleep. When we got into our room the smell was awful. The room was dingy and the connecting door had been hastily screwed shut. We didn't care because we just wanted a nap. After taking care of what we had to do for the day, we immediately booked another hotel, went into this one, packed our bags and walked out. Keep my money I do not care. Gross. I gave it 2 stars because the staff was actually very nice.

It was a last minute stay, and they accommodated me with no problems. My mother was paying for the stay and not with me, they were able to help me with getting this done over the phone the day before. I had no hassles upon arrival and the stay was very pleasant.

some of the staff was very rude, yelling at customers about their room numbers and forcing them to disclose their room number infront of alot of customers. and not allowing certain customers to take food to the room. i will not be staying here again.

I hadn't stayed here in probably 4 years, just due to not coming into town as often (and the pandemic), but the hotel is exactly I remember it. Clean, good customer service, nice room and excellent breakfast. I came into town a night earlier than planned and was able to get a room on same day notice, at the same rate I had. Matching to my existing reservation was seemless, although housekeeping did try to tell me I needed to check out after the first night, but a quick trip to reception and that was rectified. Room was nice. Had laminate floors. Bed was very comfortable. Nice sized mini fridge. Wifi was fast. Room noise was minimal. Clean bathrooms. Great water pressure in shower. Bathroom was a little dated, but that's to be expected as it's been a good 5 years or so since their re-model. It was very clean and common areas/lobby was super clean, as well. Nice breakfast spread. The options for cold and hot food were good. Staff refilled quickly if things ran out. Parking lot was well lit at night. Overall, it's still a great hotel for your stay. It's clean, comfortable, safe and the staff really does try to make your stay the best one possible.

Very disappointed with the hotel. When we checked in, we had a few question for the check-in lady, such as where to eat, get groceries, maybe a beer. Her answer was downright rude. No help whatsoever. She was more preoccupied by her cellphone than providing us with advise The room was run down. Carpets were very used, with actual holes (looked like burn holes) in them. The furniture was scuffed and had seen better days. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was ok, good selection and warm.

Pro's, Both Associates(male and female) that were checking people in were very nice and professional. They solved issues quickly. Breakfast was good with a good selection from eggs, waffles, cereals, breads, milk, juices, coffee. Bathroom was clean and had good lighting. Breakfast attendant kept food stocked and was very nice. Negatives, Hotel needs a major upgrade. Lighting throughout the hotel needs to be much brighter. Doors need fixing. Furniture needs replacing. Could use better looking table's for lamps in lobby area and in the rooms. Water pressure in shower could be better. Bed was ok. Ac was loud but worked. Pictures on website look better than what you really get. Would I stay here again with the property the way it is? I would not. I will spend more money and stay at a nicer hotel close by and I prefer to stay in Best Western properties. I very rarely give a negative review but I was ready to leave within 30 minutes after I checked in. If these issues get fixed I will stay there again.

six ladies traveling abroad for a mission trip: Beale Abuelas. We found this hotel to have excellent facilities, perfect location, and extremely friendly and helpful desk service. Our flight was cancelled and we had to rearrange future hotels stays and the desk staff were most helpful regarding cancelling and setting up new reservations.

Pleasant overnight stay on our trip...everything seemed fairly clean and in working order...the breakfast was pretty good for free hotel breakfast...I only gave 4 / 5 because the desk is over right next to the a/c unit and you can't actually do any work or eat at the desk because of the fan blowing right on you there..so the room set up is not great, but it's just fine for a one night stop when passing thru.

We chose to stay at this hotel and park our car for our trip to Canada. We were scheduled to be away for 11 days and were charged for 11 days on the day we checked out Sept. 11. Due to fires in Jasper, Canada, we cancelled our tour on Sept . 12 and changed our airline resverations and returned home on Sept. 13. When we went to the front desk and told our story, I expected a refund for the unused days I paid to park my car at the hotel. I was told that they do not give refunds so I have paid for 9 days of parking and my car is in my driveway at home. I have been trying to get in touch with the manager, Chris, for 2 days without any success.

Didn't feel safe. Room was nice, , great shower/pressure. Asked about doors and they said they have security monitoring....never saw anyone and management didn't seem concerned that they didn't lock. Once I went to front desk at 7:30 am and the clerk was asleep in in his chair. Maids have kids that run up and down hall. Will find a different hotel if we go to Richmond again.

Guys, stop looking. You have found the best room at the right price! Trust me, I searched extensively for a 1 night stay at a reasonable rate in Richmond. Hard to find. Rooms are either over priced or gross. This place is clean, affordable and includes breakfast. There's a heated pool and ots close to everything. I'm here right now. So happy we found it. Also, the hotel staff was super friendly. Very cool to be greeted with a smile during a late night check in. Enjoy!

Stayer there in order to pick up arriving guests the following day. The other option was to leave Hampton Roads early and fight the horrible morning traffic. The location and price of this BW made the option of going up the day before feasible. Lots of amenities nearby for an evening meal. Quick in/out to 295 and 64 to return to Hampton Roads with guests.

Thanks to weather I was stuck at Richmond, VA airport for a full day/night. I was able to quickly download the Best Western app and book a local hotel. Staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful to ensure my stay was pleasant.

For the price I was shocked at what all came with the stay. Fully stocked breakfast, very nice staff, cleanliness, and comfortable beds. The place is well kept and worth every penny. It's also extremely quiet.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times before this trip. Despite some remodeling a few years ago it is already looking tired and worn. The air conditioner is very loud, but at least it worked well during this heat wave. The main issue is lack of cleanliness! We had four rooms booked. The floors were filthy in three of the rooms. The shower in my room had hair in it from the previous occupant.

This hotel was an older facility in need of updating. There was a general level of wear and tear. We originally planned to stay here 2 nights, but decided to check out after the 1st night. Otherwise, the hotel is convenient to the airport, and there are a number of restaurants nearby.

Small hotel with friendly staff. Updated bathroom with waterfall shower & high quality linens that were changed daily. Good choice for basic breakfast & a good nights rest. Only negative - not enough outlets for charging electronic devices.

Hotel is very outdated. The hallway smelled of urine. The elevator is unsafe and very old. The breakfast was nothing to get out of bed for. A flying roach was in my room. The pictures on the internet are a bit deceiving to me. The beds are low uncomfortable with old mattresses.

I will stay at the hotel again and again I been staying at that hotel for the last two or three months I will keep continue to stay there and it's close to my job and it only takes me 15 to 20 minutes to get to work

I love BW Plus hotels and stay there almost exclusively however this was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. The room furniture was badly stained, No water pressure, Outlets not working, No ice machine, Breakfast was less than adequate. No resolve for anything. The only good thing was the bed was clean and comfortable.

I signed up for airport parking and shuttle, but was running behind schedule. Monie, at the front desk, helped me out by filling out the form for me as I was driving to the hotel and because the shuttle driver was not available, she herself shuttle me to the airport so I can get there on time and I am deeply grateful for her service. Thank you again!!

Hotel served its purpose. Staff were friendly and very professional. Hotel was clean and staff appeared always busy at work. Wished the hotel was more modern; interior decor is outdated. Need spiritual cleaning; had ghost encounters both nights in room 331.

The hotel was nothing special, but the staff made all the difference. The shuttle driver and front desk clerk were exceptional. They were very professional and friendly. Dwaine was very helpful and made sure I was up on time for my flight. He is definitely one of the best assets to this hotel.

Great hotel . I would recommend anyone staying here .The breakfast is always hot and appealing . The rooms are cleaned . The front desk is always most helpful. I always stay here when I just need to get away for a couple of days . Pricing is very reasonable as well

Breakfast not edible, not 1 piece of fitness equipment worked, and the hotel needs a major facelift. The hotel was very outdated, the water in the shower came out in a trickle. The staff was very friendly and the shuttle was very accommodating.

Arrived in VA at 12:10am. I called the receptionist to ask if they had a shuttle available. Dwaine Boxley was so polite! He even guided me on where to wait at the airport. Even though this is a 2 star hotel, Im rating this 5 stars for customer service! Dwaine is the man

We came in for just a night and was pleasantly surprised how nice the employees were at the front desk...We felt the room could have been a bit cleaner, especially the bathroom...The towels had been apparently moved and possibly been left over from a previous customer...

We have been staying here for years and enjoy the staff. Breakfast is always ready and the rooms are clean. Badly in need of a remodeling, but well maintained. There are a few restaurants within walking distance.

I came up for a week for my sons birthday and the Va Food Expo. We originally booked 2 of the days at the Microtel - not knowing that it was absolutely horrible! So I searched and found the Best Western "PLUS' (don't forget the Plus) It was the same price and 100% better.

Very close to the airport. Quick shuttle to and from the airport. Nice breakfast, juice and coffee was available at all hours. Hotel was very quiet, simple, met my needs. Hot water was good, air conditioning and heat were easy to control.

Boyfriend and I were itchy and had multiple bug bites. Sheets and blanket were visibly soiled and stained. Bathroom sink,shower, and floor visibly dirty with black spots and hair from others everywhere.Will never stay here again.

Yes, courteous staff. Yes, clean room. Yes, decent price. However, the lingering smell of marijuana in the lobby and in my room was perplexing especially since this is a non-smoking hotel. I later realized my loud next door neighbors may have been responsible for the smell in my room. The shower did not turn all the way to hot, it stopped midway but I was able to have a relatively hot shower the first night. The second night I had no hot water. I called the front desk and received an apology and was told the maintenance man had left for the evening and to maybe try to shower later. It was late and I figured I'd try in the morning. Nope, still no hot water. In fact, it was even colder. Called the front desk again, received an apology and was told the hotel was full, maybe all the guests had used the hot water and to try again in a little while. I was leaving soon and had to do a quick wash up so I don't know if the hot water ever came back on. When I checked out, I asked about having something taken off the bill. I did have something taken off, about the equivalent of the tax.

VERY VERY DIFFERENT FROM WHEN WE STAYED HERE FOR A CONVENTION TWO YEARS AGO. I don't know if management changed or WHAT bug i am so sad to see this place like i just saw it. The bathroom had rust, the shower wasn't draining properly and the water was ice cold and smelled weird…door are paper thin you can hear every little movement outside your room as if the people walking by were in your room. It was NO parking available and it was so dark in the lobby when we were checking in it made it feel like a seedy motel. The saving grace was that the bed was comfortable and that's about the only nice thing i can say. Really upset to see how this hotel is being let go.

There was no hot water during my stay. All of the gym equipment did not work properly. The treadmill belt slides forward when in use (major liability). The start button on the elliptical does not work. And the bike had no plug so I couldn't use it at all. I stayed in room 307 which was a non smoking room and my room smelt like cigarettes. My allergies were horrible when I woke up. I told the staff about the hot water issue and they told me to just hop in and out of the shower quickly with the cold water. The staff was not sympathetic at all! And you could feel the springs in the mattress. Will not be staying here again. There's a Fairfield Inn right beside this hotel that you're better off booking.

Traveling south from PA to NC for work - good business choice. You could tell the hotel was updated. Rooms were nice, clean as expected. Breakfast was solid - above average for hotel. Arrived late on Super Bowl Sunday, front desk attendant (Manyell sp?) was very nice! She helped me quickly, got me processed quickly. Highly recommend. Not that I used it, but looks like each floor had a washer/dryer - which is nice for someone traveling for multiple weeks

Take your money elsewhere. This hotel is 100% the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. The odor of my room was unbearable. Shower was cold. I could hear neighbors next door at 3am. Expired medications. Over charging my credit card at the vending machine. Please please please do not stay here. I left early and paid more money to stay somewhere else. It was unbearable!

We have stayed at BWP many times and chose this location due to its closeness to the airport as we had a 5:30am flight. Overall the hotel was in good shape and Manyell at the front desk was a delight upon our arrival.

Excellent clerk explained everything job done perfectly.....made me feel safe and comfortable explain breakfast times and check out times explained how restaurants was from me and how to call for ubers and things..... nothing bad to say

Both Manyell and Edward showed an amazing customer service solving some check in problems that happened because of flights cancelation, also Edward helped us showing us the way around and helped us late night, and most of all, they were very kind and polite. Great service

Manyell greeted me with a beautiful smile and attitude, also was able to work with me and get me a nice rate. Wish more people treated each person who walked in with same warmness. Between the front desk and the rooms I'll definitely be coming back here.

The staff at this hotel is amazing! If I had any issues, they would resolve it immediately. They are friendly and made me feel at home! It was so good to come back from class and have my room cleaned and smelling fresh. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel!!

The employees were so very nice and they all were helpful. Room was clean and quit (which was unexpected--didn't use my earplugs, but probably not always the case). Breakfast was very good and had EVERYTHING! Very good experience. Would stay there again!

BW Corporate really does need to do a better job of branding. This is no Plus hotel. Its no 3 star hotel. Its tired, worn, and in need of repairs, lots of repairs. Its a 2 star hotel. Had issues with the electronic key card not working on check in and after two attempts i was finally able to get one card to work but only for one night. The next day the card didn't work and had to do it all over again. Never could get two working cards. If you have to stay here don't pay more than $65 a night. It just isn't that nice. The floors transmit sound from above readily. The dog barking in the room across the hall kept waking me. Corporate, spend some money and upgrade this tired hotel or change it to a BW Minus! Its very misleading. I won't be staying at a BW again any time soon. I wasted my money on this hotel for 4 nights. And hotels that allow pets should at least limit the number of dogs and force them into the same off corner of the building. Hotel guests with allergies or fear dogs shouldn't be subjected to this absurd service provided pet owners.

We were delighted to find that the housekeeping services cleaned our room everyday. The breakfast was better than most. Next to the airport but we never heard the planes in our room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This is one place we will come back to.

The main positive is the hotel is near the airport. the price was reasonable and the room was ok. The staff was non communicative. Missing a hair dryer in the room and the person at the front desk said I had to wait for the shuttle bus driver to get back, then they would bring up? 15 minutes later I had the guy get up and get it himself.

We were assigned a room apparently was clean one bed was made over dirty sheets. The bed looks like someone slept there and the bed dirty sheets were reused. The front desk clerk was not concerned, would never use Best Western again

This motel near the Richmond airport is one of the worst if not the very worst Best Western that we have ever stayed in. You should avoid if possible. The carpet was torn, the room was tiny, the bathroom was cramped, the AC was noisy, amenities were missing, the breakfast was inedible, and there was no coffee in the morning..

It was an inexpensive place to get a good night's sleep near the airport. The feeling in the common areas isn't great but the room was fine, comfortable, quiet. Not sure if it's chronic but the wifi had an issue while we were there that seemed to get fixed. Mask wearing was mostly not happening even with staff despite a sign on the door. Breakfast was about average, and much appreciated.

The service here is amazing. The front desk, was truly A1. We had a 16hour delayed flight to NY and was forced into sleeping at a near by hotel "Best Western Plus Richmond Hotel". The Front Desk handled the exhausted, starved and frustrated passengers with grace and understanding. They were knowledgeable of close by food areas etc. The resort was clean, the food in the recommended restaurant was great. I loved every minute here. Thank you for making our night and made it better!

While I will never stay at this location again, the room was clean. There was an odor upon entry that caused me to ask about where pets were lodged. Despite a sign being posted about wearing masks most of the staff and guests did not wear one. As I went to my room, I was concerned that it would look/smell like the rest of hotel - I was pleasantly surprised. The room was VERY clean. The bed was the pits, but the room was cleaner than most.

Traveled with my 8year old daughter. We traveled to Richmond for a funeral. Was looking for a comfortable room for my daughter and I to stay to be able to conduct school and stay comfortably while visiting family.

Book elsewhere. Rooms had an unpleasant odor. Rooms were very smoky for being non-moking. Bed was worse than a college mattress. Breakfast was health hazardous. I very much regret staying here the 1 night that I did. Never again. Maybe I didn't find the right reviews to warn me against booking here.

The service was very accomodating. The airport is across the street. The clientele was a bit off. I would not recommend bringing kids to this establishment. I thought the room was a bit small for three people with two double beds. No handicap rooms available.

Large room with a chair and foot stool. The carpeting needed cleaned though and the wooden furniture was a little worn. The breakfast area was large and there were lots of choices. It is close to the airport.

Nothing fancy, but had the essentials and everything worked. No drawers for unpacking clothing. Hot breakfast was back and good. Daily room maintenance was also back. Wifi worked fine, but no security.

I'm also a BW Rewards member and had no complaints in my room / stay on the 1st floor at all. Not sure if I was lucky or just not as picky. The location with many options to eat close by was also a plus.

Worst experience ever! This was a six person business trip, so first hand I got six similar opinions from this hotel. For starters, when entering the hotel you can notice that there's no interest on having it neat and you can right away notice that it's majorly outdated. Have you seen those movies where drug deals take place? Believe me, I bet there are plenty here. I read many reviews just to realize that apparently there's no care from management as in April it seems the elevator was down and it's July and still, the elevator is broken. I tried not to make a judgement while I was heading to my room but I just couldn't. I got a room on the fourth floor, and while trying to get on the only working elevator, I walked down the aisle and it stank to cigarette and something even stronger, wouldn't be surprised that it was mariguana. When I came into my room, it was disgusting. I'm a former heavy smoker and I know how cigarette smells in a small room that's poorly ventilated and the smell on the room I got, was beyond someone could stand. The cleaning lady was three rooms away and I asked her if she knew there were other rooms available around so I could ask for a change, I explained her that the room stank horribly and in a mad manner she told me: "That can't be, I just cleaned it and I used a whole deodorant spray on it". She did a whole bottle and of course it made it worse. I asked for a room change, which I was granted and before leaving for dinner I went to check just in case and to my surprise, it was as bad as the first one. One of my co-workers was near and I asked to see the room and was the same as the other two. We left for dinner and decided we were changing hotel. Unfortunately, another co-worker left her sneakers at her room, called the hotel, and at the front desk they told her that her sneakers were there, that she could pick them up whenever she wanted. As we had a very early flight, we decided to pickup prior to the airport. Well apparently there was another lady at the front desk and told my co-worker that there were no sneakers and that if they were not at her sight that was because there were no sneakers left. Anyways, we ended up at a Homewood Suites by Hilton If you can avoid the BW Plus, do it. The non-smoking rooms are smoking and beyond that. And the staff can make "disappear" some of your belongings if you leave them.

I'll definitely use this Best Western again. Why? Reasonable rate, location near airport, reliable airport shuttle, neat and clean property, comfortable beds, large rooms, micro/fridge, great staff (everyone I met) and best of all — clean, clean, clean. Excellent value!

I'm a BW Rewards Member and was staying only 1 night, otherwise, I would've checked out early and relocated to one of the many nearby Airport hotels. This hotel needs a complete overhaul to the 21st Century. Horrible to have an Airport location where visitors to Richmond VA are exposed to this substandard level with poor maintenance. "Out of Order:" one of two elevators, plus the 4th floor washing machine that was located in the elevator lobby. My room: dingy carpet with old furniture that felt dirty; one shower door was stuck, and the mirror had an old wooden frame that was nailed to the wall. Actually, I stopped inspecting the room because I did not want to be more grossed out. The lobby breakfast area was dark with strange glowing green lights. At least there was a hot/cold breakfast buffet but I hated sitting in there. Judging from other recent reviews, management clearly doesn't care. Although, each Best Western is advertised as "independently-owned and operated," Corporate needs to pay an inspection visit. I stayed at three other BW hotels along I-95, and I don't know why this is a branded BW PLUS.

My wife and I experienced flight delays and received a voucher to stay in this hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, the manager refused to accept the voucher and would not contact the airline to help us. It was late and we had an early flight so I had no option, but to pay for the room myself. About the hotel itself, I preface these statements by saying that I don't stay in cheap hotels. The shuttle was convenient and the shuttle drivers were friendly. The location is close to the airport so it was a quick drive, but there is only one sit-down restaurant in walking distance. The manager and clerk were not helpful (see above). Room was dated and had poor lighting. Bed was worn down and was like sleeping in a hole. Price was what I expect from a low budget, dive hotel.

The only bright spots were that I was able to sleep comfortably for three nights and internet service was great. There are too many inconveniences; one of the elevators was not working, shuttle service came late for pick ups, grab and go was very cheap (had to use microwave oven to heat up sausage,egg, and cheese), did not get a wake up call for the airport. Towels were not replaced when dirty. There was a cleaning attempt but it was not done thoroughly. There are other hotels that are better but I saved $500 on this trip by staying here (including car rental). I would only come back if I can save this much otherwise consider another hotel. There are no in room safes.

Do not stay if you want to wake up to roaches! Manager Chris tells me they “checked the room” and found nothing. When we came cleared a bug had been killed on the ceiling as well. I could've stayed elsewhere for the money and it would've been cleaner! Will never go back. Do not waste your money.

Misleading, poor water pressure, very difficult to control temp of water in shower. The breakfast options did not come close to giving me a choice that was appetizing or even healthy. When i reported the problems all I got was an apology. The ad had a price about 30% below what they charged.

This hotel had very friendly staff, but the building itself is not well kept. I would recommend trying a different airport hotel unless you're desperate and just need a clean bed to pass out on for a few hours (like me). The room WAS clean, which is nonnegotiable for me. The hallway smelt strongly of marihuana, but that did not carry into my room. There were leaks dripping into buckets in the hallway that were still there the next day. No telling how long they have been there. But for $50, I had low expectations!

Absolutely wonderful from the rooms to the staff, filled with kindness and respect, uplifting attitudes. From when I first checked in till the next day and onwards, I made my mission to get a room at this hotel every chance I get

After an 8 hour drive, 1 1/2 of that in a traffic jam no one was at the front desk when I arrived here. I waited over 20 minutes and decided to go to the Quality Inn down the road. If one person can't handle the job, they should schedule 2. Don't expect exhausted customers to wait!

This hotel is dishonest. Flying into Richmond for a medical visit, I presented my Best Western Reward Points for $50. I emailed them from 1 of 2 business center computers as the printer was as broken as when I had stayed 1 month ago. Chris, the GM, said 'Dont worry about it and in his email replipy said 'Received. Thank u.' When I noticed my Best Western Reward Points had not been applied to my $73.68 room I contacted Customer Care. Chris, the GM, said he would 'contact me about it' on about 18 Dec. No actual contact was made. In late Jan when this issue hadn't been taken care of, I again contacted Best Western and a Rep contacted me the next day saying 'The hotel does not want to cooperate. They will be penalized.' I said 'I get the impression they don't like me. Give them the opportunity to apply the $50.' That time has passed. This hotel's GM singularity stands out as the most unaccommodating of the Best Western Hotel Brand.

I was very interested is trying out this newer version of Best Western. It was a great value. The room was very clean and organized. Check-in was friendly and efficient. The breakfast the following morning was very good with an ample selection of breakfast fare. It is near the Richmond airport if you are flying in and out of town. I would definitely give my business to this franchise again in the future.

From the moment I arrived it was very disappointing. The woman behind the desk was new and left with no assistance. She didn't understand the reservation. She was unable to code my cards. She didn't know the layout of the hotel when I asked which entrance was closest to my room - there were no carts - so I had to carry all my bags and three children all the way around the building to come back in through the main entrance and to the back by my room. Once there, the key did not work so i had to walk all the way to get a new key card. Normally this probably wouldn't have been a huge issue - but again - single adult toting three kids and luggage. At this time she also advised us that there is no breakfast - nothing. Not a grab n go, a piece of fruit, granola bar, nothing. I choose BW when traveling because they always offer breakfast which is a huge perk when traveling with children. I have stayed at multiple other BW this year and even with COVID they adjusted to provide something as a breakfast. On top of this, the only vending machines available was insanely priced. Once in the room we found out the pack n play wasn't there for my baby. I went to ask at the front desk and she was unaware of where they were. She finally called and was informed that they were not allowed to offer due to COVID, and even if they could it was dirty so they couldn't provide it. Again, I have said at many hotels this year during COVID, all of them sanitize and were able to provide a pack n play. I am not sure how this is any different than the bed i am sleeping in. The solution provided was my baby sleep in the bed with me...and risk falling off...or sleep on the floor - I am not sure how that is sanitary on any level. Truthfully at this point i am tired and frustrated. The door handle did not latch properly, but the key card loosely held it closed, but we definitely needed the latch lock which still provided a wobbly door. There was no bathtub as advertised, only a walk in shower. The mattresses on both beds were completely lopsided so you rolled from the middle to the outsides. The entire hotel smelled like smoke, the lobby was okay, but the carpet in the halls was horribly torn and ratty, the wall paper was peeling. To top it all off i was up all night with a cranky baby who had no where to sleep. I normally don't complain, and usually can roll with things, but this was too much and no attempt or assistance to make it better/help

The restroom is extremely small. The toilet is so close to the shower, I had to use the toilet sitting almost sideways. I have a somewhat bad back, which was made to feel a lot worse because the mattress is way too soft. No firmness at all. It advertised hot breakfast, which was not served, I'm guessing due to coronavirus. This would have been useful information before I actually checked in. The ice maker on the 4th floor had an "out of service" sign on it. Besides all that, it was generally disappointing.

In my opinion this hotel does not meet the standards of Best Western Plus. In the past I had always found the Plus hotels to be new or recently remodeled and somewhat upscale. Not the case here. I had paint peeling off the wall, cracks in the wall, etc. On top of all of this when I asked to use Best Western gift cards to pay for the room, they increased my rate by 25%. Oh, and no breakfast at all...not even an apple! I finally checked out and moved to another hotel for the remainder of my stay. I would not recommend staying here.

The room was excellent, comfortable bed and pillows. The TV was newer and had a good picture. The bathroom was also good with great water pressure. My only negative was that the shower head didn't really have more than one setting -- even though it was supposed to. The hotel was quiet, not because it was empty, but because of good sound proofing.

This is not a hotel it's a truck stop! I would not recommend this location if you paid me to! There is a brand newFairfield Inn next door...go there! Drug use is abound. I feel really sorry for the neighborhood that is behind the hotel!

When I travel, I typically have a number of BW Gift Cards that I use - courtesy of reward redemptions or rewards promotions, or even just prepaid "investments" per say. When I arrived, the front desk clerk refused to accept my gift cards, claiming that since I used a AAA rate I could not claim another "discount" - she is correct, you can only claim one discount, but a gift card is not a discount. It took a phone call to customer service to square away. She also was not wearing a mask, which is required by Gubnatorial Order of the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The room was clean and functional. On checkout, everything went smoothly, and the gentleman there even took me to the airport earlier than the first shuttle - which was very generous.

Sign say MASK REQUIRED - Staff does wear mask! - Never saw any of the Housekeeping Staff wearing a mask - We had to Refuse housekeeping because they did not observe any COVID precautions - Our Safety was more important - Very difficult to get clean towels - Most Front desk staff didn't wear mask - several evening front desk person was always on their phone NOT hotel phone but personal cell - Not friendly had no clue about customer service and of I don't care attitude - Yes it was a rain weekend when there Also we booked EIGHT (8) rooms - Roof leaked throughout building - Weekend we were there you needed to dodge buckets and cans collecting water - Buckets and cans collecting water on more than one floor - Hallways stunk from water on the floor over many rains - Beds so hare the floor might have been softer - Property wasn't what one would call clean - This property should have paid us to stay there not us paying them - Property operated as if they had not heard of any COVID precautions - Best Western you should be ashamed of this property and it's sad customer service

On check in was greeted by in friendly staff. On arrival to room noted room to be clean. No hot water Strange smell in hallway. Noted 4 rooms being fumigated for some reason or another. Never given notice of this. Daughter has asthma. Had to use medication multiple times. Will not recommend.

Low water pressure, hard bed, no ventilation system in bathroom. No continental breakfast. I understand social distancing but have prepackaged donuts muffins milk cereals juices etc handed out by staff.

Carpet needs removing. Had neighbors across from me smoking weed and partying all night. Just not my type of place. I was quoted a price for my stay by the manager before my stay which was not honored when I arrived. Manager on duty did not beleive me when I told her what my room charge was and charged me full price. Days later, my account was credited. Nice but just to much of a hassel.

My wife and I needed to fly to Richmond for an event. It was just over a 24 hour period. We needed to stay close to the airport. So I chose the Best western plus which is just 3 minutes or so from the airport. Normally I am not a fan of hotels right near the airport however the Best Western plus was very nice. Some sporting game was in town for dads and kids so the place was packed. One family let there kids run up and down the hallway well past midnight. I know this is more about parenting than the hotel. We paid a decent price, convenience is the main reason. The hotel was nice, clean with friendly staff. We did not have to drive very far for dinner that night.

We were in town for a wedding, and needed a two night accommodation. This became the "family" hotel. It served its purpose well. It was clean, convenient, and hospitable. Breakfast was good: meat, eggs, potatoes, etc. along with all the usual starches. Rooms were clean, and comfortable. A nice choice.

Although I arrived late from a night flight. The night front desk clerk took great care of me. She was very concerned over ll details of the property and made sure that I had everything that I needed. I highly recommend this hotel, if you need a place near the airport for a night or longer. It was easy to access and very safe. The breakfast the next morning was very good and I especially enjoyed the Old Fashioned Oatmeal (not instant) with all the fixins. Delicious.

Stayed only one night while passing through. Was greeted well and the overnight stay was refreshing. I want to thank Monica at the front desk for her caring attitude. Also the young lady that checked us in was very efficient and helpful.

We landed at RIC at 9 pm having come from Aruba.Cheap hotel near the airport? Best Western Plus came up and I went for the free breakfast King bed deal at a base of $85. I made specific requests like high floor, quiet, no glaring park lot lights all of which were granted. No stress, no drama. Then we found Mexico Restaurant right across the street. Best salsa, tacos, and rellenos. Highly recommend this clean, affordable, well-located hotel. Check out the restaurant too.

We didn't plan to stay at a hotel that night. I was traveling with my kids, and had been driving a while. I was tired, and a bad storm came out of nowhere! I decided to get a room. I checked out two hotels that were horrible in my opinion. Drove a little bit more, and came upon Best Western. Just looking at the appearance of the lobby let me know that this is where we would be spending the night! Clean and reasonable.

His was a stopover on the way to North Carolina. After a long day's drive of traveling, we we're glad to get some rest. This ia a hotel by the airport that gets a lot of transient traffic. The check in was very impersonal without any information given as to how to get to the room, no smiling salutation, nor services available. It was as I said just a stopover and we were on our way early the next day, so we did not need much. However this was probably the most quiet establishment of the three hotels I've stopped at and the best night sleep. There was a nice closed off area as a business center nd the breakfast was pretty good with a waffle maker , pancake maker as well as a nice assortment of fresh fruits.

The Best Western Was a great choice for us, the staff was amazing and if we needed anything they did it in seconds, not to mention the price was great. This place was Extremely clean!! Unlike some hotels. Highly recommend

We visited family in Richmond for Thanksgiving and booked 2 rooms (adjoining) for 2 nights and had a very nice stay. The room was sufficient for our needs as it was very clean and straight to the point and we basically kept the middle door open so that we could go between rooms very easily. The breakfast was awesome. They had something for everyone...breads/danishes, oatmeal with fixings, yogurt with fixings, eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, pancake machine and 2 waffle makers, juice, milk, tea, coffee and hot chocolate with whipped cream. I almost forgot to mention that the price was the best in the area too! Would definitely stay here again. The only downsides I had was that one of our room's door was very hard to open. We kept getting new keys but for some reason it would still stick, but we were fine since we did have an adjoining room to go through and the door could easily open from inside the room. And I wasn't sure if they actually kept the side door locked during the night as we were able to freely go right in at night without having to use our room key. And the last item is that we were very surprised the room did not have any USB ports to easily hook up our many devices to charge instead of having to use a plug, but we made it work.

stayed there as a stop over from a cross country trip, Easy to book. We had 4 rooms. It was easy access to many places to eat. Most within walking distance. the staff was friendly and helpful. I will stay there again.

Very friendly and efficient staff at check in. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and well managed. Very easy access to the highway. Airport shuttle is included. Definitely recommend this place.

I stay in BW's about 25 nights a year. This was the worst experience I have ever had in the last 15 years or so. Online check in, told about late check in. On arrival reservation was cancelled. Room must of had repairs before we arrived, saw dust not cleaned up. Room was not serviced while we were there. Requested fresh towel and was told to come to front desk and pick them up.

Except for the price and easy (2 blocks or so) access to the airport entrance, the only thing I would recommend about this hotel is the very adequate, clean room. If those things are what it's about, go for it. It is not a place where I would meet a client or a friend. The dingy carpet in the hallways, the aged reception area, the cramped (!) parking spaces, and NO WORKING COFFEE MACHINE AT BREAKFAST were turn-offs. I didn't like having to go outside at night, but I was glad to swing around the corner for gasoline and the airport the next morning. Functional with a clean room.

Room was ok, staff not so much. Checked in paid my parking fee, then next morning at 4:30 mind you, they wanted to charge me again for parking then after a not so plesant discussion I was told no problem. Ride to airport fine, ride from airport not so much. Called when we were ready for pick -up, waited 30 mins had to call again. Was told the driver had been there didnt see us and left. Absolutely false!!! We had been in the instructed location the whole time. Long story short, after 5 calls, 1 hour and 45 minutes and lots of ugliness a driver showed up and could only take half of my family had to make 2 trips.

Room was nice, clean and neat. However, there was a problem with how much it was to park and fly, (woman checking us in said $15 for both cars which we questioned at the time), and it was over an hour before the shuttle arrived to pick us up when we returned. Recommend if you're not relying on them to get you to and from the airport.

This was OK for one night, but having only one chair for 2 people is a problem. Outlets by the beds are appreciated. There was a power strip by the TV which indicates poor planning or old room. Breakfast was pretty standard, but the oatmeal was more like soup so we skipped it. Yogurt machine was nice, but showing ingredients would be helpful. Check in and out was good, but we had to ask for package for reward members. No choice for points which is better than the package. All that should have been done at check in.

Fine stay at a property that was clean overall and convenient to our need to be at a local museum (yes, a short drive away, but a good value). Carpet in rooms needs replacing. Parking free, simple continental breakfast with some hot items free. Night staff did not seem happy to see us upon arrival, hence three and not four stars

I had expected a new Best Western Plus like the one I stayed at in Georgia. That stay convinced me to start staying at these "new" places. Alas, this is but a "renovated" Hampton Inn, and not a new facility at all. This was a standard Hampton Inn (which isn't bad) with a fresh coat of paint and an attractive exterior. No issues at all. Just know that this isn't one of the newer ones as one might green from the picture on the web page. Good stay, but not a great one.

Wherever I to I always try to stay at a Best Western as they are always great quality and value for money. This particular hotel's single best feature is the fact it is a 3 minute drive from the airport. Location is really good if you need to catch an early flight or just want to sleep after a late night arrival. Check in was quick and easy, the receptionist was friendly. The room was what I expected. Huge, very comfy bed, TV, fridge, coffee, tea, the usuals. It was clean. Breakfast was great, usuals to choose from. They also offer a free shuttle to the airport which can be really useful. Would choose them again

Stayed here with buddy on golf trek. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Shower was hot and clean. Breakfast had nice assortment and waffle maker (always a plus). Located near airport and easy to get to.

I would have rated this Best Western as poor but for the super-polite, hardworking guy on the front desk who never seemed to clock off. Where to begin? So this hotel sits in a small cluster of (better) chain hotels at the end of a road called Airport Square Drive which runs along the edge of Richmond International Airport. The drive to get to this cluster is lined with several hotels trapped in circa 1950, a couple of restaurants that scream Avoid, some alarming dereliction, and a few pedestrians looking a little worse for the wear. Not a neighborhood for a jog or stroll. The hotel itself is super-budget oriented with mini-sized lobby, breakfast area, and work-out room. The decor ranges from bland to garish. There was a washer/dryer on our floor for the live-in crowd and those on long road trips (we met a few) - but, credit where due, it was clean and new. Our room was small/average-sized, dank in color and lighting and had a priceless view onto a backyard containing a scampering pitbull. It was probably the first time I was glad the windows in a hotel didn't open. The major surfaces were clean and the bedding was fresh, but the bathroom had too many nooks and crannies, including the poor choice of a wood-framed mirror, and none of it looked pristine.The door handle was neglected and I did not want to touch it after seeing it in the (brighter) bathroom lighting. I see the ease and economy (for the hotel) in the hanging shampoo and gel boxes on the shower wall, but I REALLY don't want to touch a handle that other people have used in their shower. That said, the formula for said shampoo etc was actually quiet nice and not scented like a plug-in, as one might have expected. The room fan provided some white noise for our one night's stay, which almost covered the usual hotel soundscape of people dropping things, scrapping things and slamming their doors, but it was dry as the Sahara and made for a miserable night. It rattled like a Halloween skeleton when we tried to add some ac. My other complaint was the tiny work-out room. It had one of everything, which is fine if you like an off-hour session or standing around looking hopeful while other people sweat. When I tried to use the treadmill, the room was being used as a playroom by three unsupervised little kids who, friendly as they were, were actively endangering themselves with inappropriate use of the equipment. Oh, and there was zero ventilation and the room had the temperature (and smell) of a very active six year old. The breakfast was actually better than many low-end chains, though the room is so small, peak times must be like the New York subway at rush hour. We were lured in by an excellent rate while travelling to a sports event and I wrongly assumed this would be a typical airport chain experience. As nice as the guy on the desk was, we won't be back.

The Hotel was nothing as advertised. In need of renovation and upgrades. As we checked in our confirmed room was already given to someone else and this was at 4:30pm! There was a dog loudly barking in a room on the first floor to which the clerk said "Sorry, I can't believe that dog is still barking". HUH? We were given a room with a bed and pullout sofa where my son 6'5" slept uncomfortably and the refrigerator buzzed the whole night! Nothing PLUS about this place. Just an average roadside Hotel with all the problems of one needing work.

Came to town for A Funeral, Went to the Hotel that I Booked (Eye Sore) called my Travel Agent who suggested this Hotel (360).The ladies at the front desk were really nice and the hotel felt inviting/safe and most important (CLEAN)

My stay was good. How ever I wasn't happy that they didn't even ask what credit card I was using. They billed me before I checked out, which is Odd to me. My room was great. But didn't like the fact that there was just a mattresses and No box spring. But times are changing. The breakfast area was Small, and they served the same thing for the 4 days I was there. Everyone was nice. I'm not saying anything bad, about this hotel just think they need to fix a few things.

I was traveling North through Richmond, Virginia and I needed to make a layover stop. So, I found the Sandston, Virginia local. Previously, I stayed at the BW in Glen Allen. At tthe BW Airport in Sandston near the Richmond airport, I was very pleased with the room and the courteous staff.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel was very convenient with respect to the airport and highway access to many historical destinations I wished to visit. The breakfast was great, and the bed was very comfortable.

A first floor room worked just fine hauling fishing tackle early in the morning to our van. My son was a coangler so we did not bring the boat as parking a boat would have been a problem. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good with a lot of the normal breakfast selections. Would not have any problem staying here again. The price was very fair as well!!

nice hotel that is very close to the airport. I had no issues, media center had working printer, 3 computers to use, breakfast was average just like any other hotel. hotel staff was nice and answered questions.

Very nice stay for my three days. Staff was nice. Hotel staff was very helpful. Shuttle guy named Mark was very helpful with info about area and letting me know what time the shuttle runs. I would recommend staying here.

Our family has been coming to Richmond over 10 years for the 4th July weekend but been staying at this hotel for 5 year and this staff is the best ever plus Heba she went above and beyond just overall fantastic staff

This is my "go to" hotel when flying out of RIC or working in Richmond. It's a very clean hotel with an attentive staff who goes above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. Rooms are well-appointed, toiletries are nice, and the breakfast is abundant.

Awful. When you question your safety in the parking lot and lobby, there's a problem. When you come off the elevator and see a stain and say “is that blood?!”, there's a problem. Room had 2 beds, but seemed like a closet. Barely any room to. I've around, and seemed more like a king room that they shoved 2 beds into. The bathroom was super tiny and like a cruise ship bathroom. The only good thing is that it is close to the airport, other than that I would not ever stay here again. This property has me questioning Best Westerns in general.

I greatly enjoyed my recent overnight stay at the Best Western Plus near the Richmond Airport. This hotel was very quiet; despite, being very close to the Richmond Airport. They have a quiet time between 12 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. (for the most part). During our stay, I did not hear one plane taking off or coming in prior to or after the quiet time listed above. I was very pleased with how quiet this hotel was. The most noise came from the blower in the room. Cleanliness: 5/5 The hotel was clean and very presentable from the lobby to the rooms to the dining area. I had absolutely no concerns with cleanliness. Location: 5/5 The Best Western Plus is located just off Rt. 60 near the Richmond Airport. Plenty of restaurants, shopping plazas and supermarkets were located within a short radius. The hotel was located to the East of town with easy access to Rt. 60 or I-64 into and out of town. Rt. 60 was easy to follow with light traffic. Staff: 4/5 Staff members were courteous to customers, but many were not outgoing. We were checked in within a reasonable amount of time, but were not given instructions about breakfast or information on how to find out room. Complimentary Breakfast: 5/5 Wow! What an awesome, complimentary breakfast. Breakfast included hot and cold foods. A buffet with eggs, hash browns, red potatoes and sausage was available. A pancake machine, waffle machines (2) and toaster were available for hot foods. A yogurt bar with fresh fruits, additional fresh fruit, cereal and a few danishes were well-stocked on the counter. The man running the dining area was visible, continually making sure the dining area was well-stocked and clean. I was very impressed with the complimentary breakfast. Amenities: This is a 2-star hotel as it does not contain a restaurant in the hotel. Amenities offered at the hotel included a pool and fitness center. My only concern is the only ice machine that was working was the one on the first floor. The machines on floors 2 - 4 were not working during the morning hours. Free parking and a complimentary breakfast are offered every day. Recommendations: I would highly recommend staying at the Best Western Plus by the Richmond Airport if visiting this area for a quiet and relaxing stay. I also recommend if you book this hotel in advance to check a week before your stay to see if prices have dropped.

One of the best hotels I've had stayed in that was clean. The breakfast was just ok. It could've been better. I would give a 9 out of 10. The location the hotel was in was very safe. I definitely would stay again.

I love this hotel they're always friendly and it's always a nice experience here weather it's breakfast, dip in the pool or getting directions to a good eating place the staff are always knowledgeable and caring. Rooms are cozy

We stayed in this hotel to attend to my son's graduation in his boot camp. Very close to Airport. We arrived almost midnight and the shuttle picked us up. This hotel met my expectations. Room is clean, bed is soft, I had a good sleep. Staff are friendly. They have good breakfast. The only reason I gave 4 stats is because the WiFi wasn't working the next day we arrived and it wasn't fixed until we left. I booked again for July to attend to my son's Advanced Training graduation.

Decent hotel - clean and comfortable though slightly dated. Bed was comfortable enough. Breakfast was pleasant and had a good range of options. The free Wi-fi needs looking at as I found it poor both in the room and in the seating areas in the dining room and in reception.

I love the fresh fruit (blackberries, blueberries, strawberries) to go with the yogurt. It is one of the reasons that I keep coming back to this hotel . The coffee is tasty as are the eggs, sausage and hashbrowns.

Our shower did not work and the bathroom door did not shut. They fixed the shower before our second night stay but not the door. The company gives the desk clerk too much work besides the desk. Several times we found no one at the desk.

No, major problems from check-in to departing. I have staying here everytime I'm in the Richmond, Va area since 2016. Location is great a few min away from airport/interstate and multiple store's. Oh, and plenty of parking.

We were very pleased with property which was a short ride off 295 SOBO. Clean well appointed room , quiet with a great breakfast including fresh blackberries. Check in was very smooth and desk clerk answered all questions.

We have been staying at this location for 10 years, usually 2-4 times yearly. Rooms are always clean and appliances are always in good working order. Beds are comfortable and water pressure in shower is good. WiFi is good and fast. Staff has always been friendly and show concern for their guests. Breakfast is usually different every day. Outer appearance of hotel is clean, good parking area for large vehicles and outside lighting and parking lot light is great. Hotel is in a good location and we always feel very safe at this hotel. Kudos to excellent staff.

The staff was friendly on my stay. The only complaint I would have is the WiFi service isn't the best and very slow. Downloading documents for work took forever in comparison to using my hotspot on my cell. Breakfast was good, coffee was hot, rooms clean and housekeeping did a fantastic job daily.

Very clean. Comfortable beds and nice pillows. Internet was a little slow. Nice smelling toiletries. Large breakfast area with many options to choose from. Yogurt machine was awesome. I would stay here again.

The hotel was fine. No complaints. Checking in was quick and easy the Staff was nice. Beds were comfortable and altho the room was a little small, it was clean. Nothing special but a good place for a night's sleep on the road

I booked a king size bed but given room with 2 full or queen. Was awakened middle of night by someone doing there laundry (washer and dryer across hall from my room). Throughout night caught whiff of sewer smell when air circulated in room .

The title pretty much says what needs to be said. Upon arrival, I found that they hadn't assigned me a room. First time that has happened to me anywhere. Then, I found out no dog friendly double rooms were available on the first floor. All the while I was having a great deal of difficulty communicating with the lady at the front desk who spoke VERY poor English. I went to pay cash and was told that the room was "181" for one night. When questioned, the lady at the front desk said that the room rate was $89. I then asked how in the world the room could then be $181!!! She then goes "oh, I meant one hundered dollars and 81 cents." The hotel was actually pretty nice with the exception of the room being a bit small. It was clean, well cared for and had a lovely sitting area near the front desk. The outside seems less well cared for; they were out of bags at the clean up after your dog station.

Pleasantly surprised by the visit. Not sure when this property was remodeled and made into BW Plus but had not visited yet and with the rate being much lower than surrounding properties (excluding the obvious budget places) figured we'd put the mom in law up here for the night. Smoking room required. Room smelled of lemon cleaner on arrival which was nice. No carpet in the room, all laminate, super smart and I wonder why all rooms aren't like this. So much easier to clean from us sloppy guests. TV with paid channels like HBO and Cinemax was a bonus. Single double size bed left plenty of room to move around, kind of wish there was a chair in here but the desk had a rolling office chair. Shower was a large walk in with glass sliding doors and a rain shower head. Real nice. Room had fridge, microwave, coffee machine all looking new. Quests were a mix of airport travelers, business people, and construction contractual stays. On entry the small front desk gives way to a sunken “living” area with many couches and chairs. Bright in the morning and clean. Off this is a business area with 3 computers and a copy/scan printer. very nice. There is an exercise room with various cardio and weight style machines. The breakfast area was fully utilized: included 2 waffle irons, an auto pancake machine, yogurt machine with fixings (fruit, etc), 3 types of cereal. A hot Buffett of scrambled eggs, hash browns, and sausages. Oatmeal, pastries and assorted breads finished out the set up. Juices and coffee machines as well. Arby's and Burger King are quick walk. My personal favorite Ma and Pa's diner not far and a Mexico restaurant across the street that I can vouch for as well. No issues with bed comfort per Mother in law. Off to side of airport so no direct overhead flights. Hall noise not excessive or any roudiness. Washer/Dryer on the fourth floor, looked new. Thanks for the great stay.

Many hotels along I-95 can be very run down but I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and modern accommodations at this hotel. We traveled with our pets and it was great having a first floor room with hard surface flooring. Our pets are house trained but it was nice to not worry as much about water or food bowl drips or potential dirty foot prints since it was pouring when we arrived. The staff was very friendly. You do hear the airplanes taking off occasionally but I didn't lose any sleep over it since it's fairly muffled.

Immaculate rooms, friendly staff, great location, and a very fair price. The rooms aren't large but they are comfortable. I purposely go out of my way off rt. 95 when I have to be in Richmond. I discovered this hotel years ago on a business trip and still use it after retirement when traveling from the NE to the SE.

I love staying here, the staff and hotel is awesome. It is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I am a travel nurse who works nights and they always allow me to have a late checkout.

The hotel is average but all I am looking for is something that is clean and comfortable. For that, I gave it a 4 out of 5. This fit the bill. Front desk staff was friendly-enough. It was in a great location if you are heading to the airport. The only real drawback is that the walls are paper thin. We could hear our neighbor coughing throughout the night. Cost was affordable, considering the location. There is a breakfast offered but we left too early to take advantage of it.

This was our second stay at this property. The staff is great, the hotel is clean and comfortable. The breakfast has several hot and cold options, The location is close to the airport and not far from I-64. If we visit the area again we will stay here again for sure !

This is a very nice hotel with great staff. From the front desk personnel to the housekeeping staff (that I bothered for additional blankets, pillows and towels), everyone we encountered was pleasant, personable and professional. The room was clean....although some additional detailing should be considered. The breakfast was typical offerings, fresh and the area was clean and well kept. Exercise room is small but adequate. Pool is outside, so there is no indoor hot tub or pool available during cooler months which was a disappointment. The ice machines could use a cleaning. You are less than 10 minutes from just about every amenity you could ask for, from a plethora of places to eat, to stores and spas. Overall a great value.

Nice accommodations with a great hot breakfast of eggs, potatoes, meet if you eat it with a side of make your own waffles or pancakes at 6 AM or for those who have to set out early there is a cold breakfast available at 4 AM. The hotel offers a park and fly program with shuttle service to and from the airport. As of Oct 2018 the cost was only $10 for a week to park your car. We stayed the night before our flight and when we returned. Shuttle service at 6:15 AM the driver was prompt and was even helping out setting up the delicious breakfast. Great place to stay.

The staff at this hotel were great - from the front desk, to breakfast, to those that we met in the hallways, and the driver of the shuttle to the airport. But that unfortunately doesn't make up for the serious flaws of this hotel. From the "decor" - I think the last time that this hotel was updated was probably at least 30 years ago. The surfaces were clean (bathroom fixtures, furniture, etc), but there was also cracked and peeling paint, frayed carpet, the telephone on the nightstand didn't work, the bathroom lock didn't work, the front of the refrigerator was dented, and only one of the outlets on the lamp on the nightstand worked which required plugging into a wall outlet - obligating one of us to use our computer sitting on the floor because there was only one chair in the room.

We were very pleased with this hotel. Through my work I've stayed at many hotels and this is among my favorites. This last visit we were attending a wedding not far away and were traveling with our senior dog. The hotel was great. The room was perfect (we did bring a large rug so our dog would not have issues walking on a smooth floor). We were assigned a room not far from an exit as we had requested (to make sure we could get her outside when she needed to go). Breakfast was great- I particularly loved the oatmeal and my husband loved the waffles. The staff was very pleasant and helpful- holding doors open for us, helping me maneuver the rolling rack, providing us with extra garbage bags (because we were doing wedding crafts in our spare time). I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed our two nights at the hotel. It was clean and check in was good. We slept well. The hotel is close to everything. The only drawback was that room key deactivated after our first night. I was told that it happened to another guest who allowed the key to come in contact with smartphone. In addition, there is limited space for clothing, unless you hang them up.

Amust try is the potatoes and sausage for breakfast. The rooms where clean. The ac was on. The tv took alittle time to start due to direct tv connecting. Loved the despensers for shower ideal. And the hair dryer and ironing supplies.

We were very pleased at how clean this hotel is. There was always someone sweeping, mopping or wiping. All the staff was incredibly friendly. Our room was squeaky clean every day, we stayed for four days. Breakfast had many choices, eggs, meat, breads, fruit, yogurt, waffles, pancakes, and more. Looking forward to a return visit.

The cleaning staff is rude, loud, and had no regard for our sleep. The front desk staff was more than accommodating. I greatly appreciate the help of the shift supervisor. I didn't report housekeeping because I was just too tired but let it be known that was the worst I've heard in all my years traveling.

We stayed one night. Clean, comfortable beds. Clean, comfortable budge friendly rooms. Checking was quick. Breakfast consists of eggs, sausage, waffles, pancakes. It was good. We'd come back if in the area again.

First impressions for both exterior, and interior appeared clean, and well kept when checking in. Associates were courteous, professional, and informative. Room was clean, organized, and with all the right amenities. The only Con for me was product dispensers for soap, shampoo, and conditioner located in the Shower/Sink area. I'm just that bar of soap kinda person ... fortunately there was a bar of soap for use located at the sink. In fairness, I didn't contact the Staff or Associates to check on product availability. The Hotel provides Breakfast for their Guest's. I had to check out super early, but was able to grab a Bagel on the way out the door. Food Service Specialists were already setting up Breakfast, and it appeared the Hotel provided a nice variety to meet most Guests tastes or needs. The Hotel is located approximately 5miles from Byrd Airport. Fuel is located at competitive price points within the area, as well as a variety of fast food or dining choices to meet your tastes. In addition, the Hotel can provide pickup from several of the various dining choices ... and deliver to your room. I would recommend the Hotel for consideration by others should you need a comfortable but quiet stay.

I recently stayed at the BW Plus Richmond Airport. It was a great place, the price was great. The staff was always cleaning, and they are all very friendly. They include breakfast which was great as we were traveling with small children. It was over 90 degrees and they have an outside pool, not fancy but worked for us! not a lot of frills (no bar, or restaurant ) but great for the price. It is close to the airport and has a free shuttle.

We missed our flight due to traffic. We needed a place to stay one night. They were very friendly and helpful. They suggested a nice Mexican restaurant for dinner, several fast food places were nearby also. The breakfast buffet was the best we have ever seen! You can have anything and everything! All kinds of fruit, waffles, pancakes, oatmeal ,yogurt, you name it, they had it. We got one of the last rooms, and it was a smoking room. The manager gave us 2 room keys and let us pick our room. We do not smoke, so he came up and sprayed the room with Fabreeze. Very comfortable and they have a shuttle to airport every 15 minutes. That was appreciated.

We stopped late one night around 1am. Got a room at a reduced rate since we were only there for 5 hours. Arrived to our room. The room was clean and orderly. What surprised us was the continental breakfast. We had stayed at multiple hotels that had this option but at this one the food was actually good. Would stay there again if in the area.

What a wonderful experience we had staying at this hotel. Arun, the manager, and all the staff were very friendly and made our stay extremely enjoyable. One of the best experiences we have had during hotel stays...world-class, excellent customer service! Thanks again for your hospitality!

My husband and I stayed 2 nights and were so happy with our clean,comfortable and quiet room. The complimentary hot breakfast was awesome each morning. We will definitely stay here again when we're back in the area

This is the best place we ever stop , rooms clean, service is excellent, breakfast was delicious. We liked it and will be back . The most important is all the shopping centers close and very convenient to stay.

The scariest night of my life. Do not leave any valuables in your car. There was blood all over the place; we have no idea what happened. People stand by your car drinking all night. Breakfast was great though.

I have stayed here probably five times in the last year and each stay is clean & comfortable. The breakfast varies day to day, has an amazing selection & is always hot & fresh (thanks Wes). The pool was clean & pool towels are provided. There is even a washer/dryer on the second floor if you need. They have pet friendly rooms for a very reasonable rate (reserve these early bc they do book out). The Mexican restaurant across the street is reasonably priced & fast! Love this place!

I don't usually write reviews but I must post this one. The room was dirty and we observed ants on the night stand and around the air conditioner. The refrigerator did not get cold enough to cool our water. We bought ice cream and put it in the small freezer and it totally melted. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Was looking for a less pricey hotel near the airport. There were sunflower seeds on the carpet near the beds when we walked in. Looks like the maid forgot to vacuum the area. However breakfast was good with variety of hot and cold items. Also someone had vomit in the elevator area, but the elevator floor and elevator buttons were still not completely wiped clean.

Made the mistake of staying here due to a very early morning flight. This mistake will not happen again. The hotel interior was extremely dirty. The common area was horrible, in disrepair and requires extreme attention throughout. The light switches, the outlets, and refrigerator were all non operational in the room. The water barely ran in the shower, The water was very cool. The light was very dim in the bathroom. The elevator was very slow and needs to be careful since it lurches between levels. The hotel used to have a restaurant, but it has seen it best days that are behind them.

We are long time members of BW Rewards and try to stay at the brand when on road trips. This property was a big disappointment. We were given a room on the airport/sun side of the building. When we walked in the window unit was wailing away trying to cool the small room. The desk called maintence and wanted us to wait while he attempted to fix what was obviously an ancient AC unit. After speaking with him, the front desk and the quality control housekeeper, we finally were put into an acceptable room. Price $119 for one night. I used a $100 Rewards Voucher & feel cheated.

The staff at check-in were friendly and the room was nice. The one exception would be the beds which were a bit older and springy. They had more tv channels than any other hotel I've stayed in and an excellent breakfast with a lot of good options.

This was an excellent hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean. I love the toiletries dispensers-very clever. The breakfast was phenomenal. If I am in the area again, I'd certainly stay at this establishment.

Best Western is close to the airport. We stayed 1 night before an early flight. It was easy in and east out. Perfectly suited to our need to have a place to stay that was clean, comfortable and close to the airport.

The check in staff was amazing, the hotel was clean. Our room was just the right size for myself and 14 year old daughter. Loved the amenities of the shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion. The breakfast was just the right size for us. Easy check all. Great stay and will stay again.

We always look for best western option if available & this one did not disappoint. 2 night stay prior to flight. Even though near airport it was very quiet. Staff was friendly & rooms were very nice & comfortable. Would stay there again.

I was very impressed with Best Western Plus Richmond Airport. When I travel to Richmond and stay on the East end, this is my preferred hotel to stay in. It's a nice hotel that doesn't break the bank. The staff is great and very accommodating and I was very impressed with the breakfast bar.

The rooms seems to too packed with stuff and there is hardly any space to move around The room service surely needs to do their job One good stuff is the front office staff is friendly and hotel is walking distance from lots of places to eat

I have stayed at Best Western Plus in other cities, so I was confident in booking at this hotel. I was shocked at how tiny the room is. Two small beds (not even the size of a double bed), hard mattresses, so thin that I could grip the mattress between my thumb and pinkie (and I'm a woman with small hands). The room is so narrow, there isn't room to walk between the desk chair and the bed. The chair had to be rolled out of the way to walk to the closet or air conditioner. There are no drawers for clothes, because there's no room to put something with drawers. DID I MENTIONED THE FLOOR ISN'T CARPETED???? REALLY?? Walking on linoleum in a room that should have carpet is awful!! I will never again stay in a Best Western Hotel. All this for $101!!!!!

I was really disappointed with my stay. I was not expecting a 4 star resort, however I was expecting a few steps up from your typical motel. The room was tiny, the carpet was brown and gold striped and made the room appear to close in on me. The bed was terribly uncomfortable, and the staff was less than friendly.

We stayed in a newly renovated room. The only problem is the bed was so hard. I thought all the beds were like this so I didn't request a different room. The room was very clean. I will stay at this hotel again I will just ask for a room with a softer mattress

I was more than pleased with everything. I arrived late on a Saturday night with no reservation, the clerk gave me a great rate, and a perfectly nice room. It was clean and comfortable. The riff-raff motel next door of infamy has been demolished and is being replaced with a larger structure; didn't spot anything shady here. You're in the middle of a business district, with lots of dining and shopping options nearby for whatever you need. Glad I chose this place!

Have stayed here several times. Staff is very nice. Rooms very nice. Great breakfast free. Beds comfortable. Great prices. They have available rooms when other hotels are full. Nearby restaurants are great. If you are flying in or out of airport it's perfect

Reception staff was nice and welcoming. he gave me a temporary toothbrush and toothpaste. Room was clean and didn't have a smell. Breakfast had a wide range of assortments: waffles, pancake, fruits, scrambled eggs, sausages, juices, coffee, etc. Overall, not a bad hotel. will stay again.

The waffles were great. The rest, not so much. We had the unfortunate luck of getting a downstairs room close to the front desk. It was late when we checked in, so we weren't thinking about the noise that would happen at breakfast. Bad on us. When we pulled out the couch bed, we found urine stains. When we asked the front desk to be moved they said there was nothing they could do. Bad on them. So our son shared a bed with us. The mattress was extremely springy and uncomfortable. The draft in the hall caused the door to rattle in the door jam all night (like a cabinet being slammed closed), so I ended up shoving a towel in the jam to make it stop. I would not recommend staying here. At least not until their renovations are completed. I wish we had this info when we booked for the location and price. We would have stayed somewhere else.

The hotel is very clean. The staff was nice enough. The mattress was way too hard. I didn't sleep well at all. Breakfast was adequate. I will probably stay here again once I found out if they have gotten softer mattresses.

This property is conveniently close to the international airport and is probably the best choice in the area. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. I got a really good night's sleep. The bathroom was adequate, linens were above average as were the toilitries (in dispensers near the sink and in the shower). In addition, there is a breakfast buffet, featuring cold and hot food, available beginning at 6 a.m. The coffee was not the best, but there is also a coffeemaker in the room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would rate this property somewhat higher than average, but not really "very good." I would recommend it easily for one or two nights business or tourist travel.

I got stranded overnight in Richmond Virginia when my air flight was cancelled and I called this BW and they had someone come pick me up at airport and then took me through a drive thru for fast food as every was already closed at airport. The room was very clean and quiet and the entire hotel was clean and breakfast next morning was very good.

King size bed was comfortable, room darkening curtains helped with sleeping, good climate control, everything was clean and pleasant. No odors or stains noted. Did not try WiFi. Ground floor room was very quiet. Nice breakfast with pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage, the usual cereals, bagels, pastries, etc. Was a good value added to the room.

The staffs were very friendly and helpful. However, the facility was out dated and bathroom door knob was broken. I could hear sex sound from the next room. I was satisfied with free breakfast and internet.

The only redeeming quality about this hotel is that it is close to the airport. I assume that is why they have airport hotel in their name. They advertise that that they have an airport shuttle service. Unfortunately, it stops running at 12:30. We were stuck at the airport in a snow storm trying to get a taxi or Uber, while watching other hotel shuttles drive by. When I called the hotel (as instructed), I got an almost incoherent receptionist that rudely says “the shutle stps runing at 12:30” and hangs up. When I originally booked the room, I believe I spoke to the same person regarding their park and fly policy. What I got on the phone was “you hve to ordr it on the webste” and hung up. When I checked into our room on the first night before flying out, we had a very nice and helpful receptionist. The hotel rooms are minimal and small, and typical of the chain. There is a refrigerator. Breakfast is Ok with typical make it yourself waffles and other items. Check prices from multiple sources as they are all over the place. Our first night was subtaintially less than our second night. I would probably stay again if it were not for their rude receptionist on the phone and limited shuttle service. Shop around at the other local hotels.

My husband and I were very pleased with this hotel. It was very easy to get on and off 295. The breakfast was good, rooms were clean and the Internet worked fine. We would definitely stay there again.

I was not given notice that renovations were taking place when reserving the room and that I would be required to endure power tools waking me up. Maid service carts blocked corridor, hindering entry/exit. Poor design/location of laundry/maid service office. Non-smoking room was found to smell strongly of stale smoke upon entering. Tub faucet needed maintenance. Lever for shower on faucet had to be positioned multiple times until I could get a useful shower stream. Key-card reader on door functioned properly roughly one out of thirty times. Sidewalk was covered in ice. No sand nor salt had been set out.

We tend to use Best Western the most when we travel and have to say, this location is one of the best we have stayed at. It starts with an incredibly friendly and helpful staff. From check in to check out, every staff member is courteous and greets you with a smile. The building itself I believe has been remodeled, and we had a room with a king bed, sofa, and sitting area, very nice! Hotel is green minded and I appreciated them using Paya products coming from dispensers for usage of soap, shampoo, and conditioner. There is so much waste when using individual bottles of shampoo or bars of soap. Rooms are quiet, and airport is literally a 5 minute drive away. There are many restaurants, a Target, Home Depot, etc. located close by as well. Breakfast is the standard fare; waffles, oatmeal, fruit, but they also included a turkey sausage which was excellent. There is also a nice business center with three computer terminals. All in all, this is a well managed hotel and was a very good stay!!

I had a cheaper reservation at a higher-star hotel, but canceled it in favor of this hotel because of the ratings and customer comments I read on Trip Advisor. I'm glad I did. The Best Western Plus RIC was very comfortable, had a very friendly and helpful staff, and was very reasonably priced. It's in a very good location (close to the airport, close to shops and restaurants). Check in was a breeze—they didn't bat an eye when I showed up early and they had my room available.

Jewel greeted me with a smile-a smile means a friendly staff-making check-in quick & smooth. Room # 127. One comfortable king bed. Writing desk & swivel chair. Flat screen atop three drawer chest. Micro/fridge. Two night stands. Bathroom: Shower/tub. Tub has a vertical safety bar on wall. No bottles of shampoo, lotion or conditioner, instead dispenses for each. Plenty of towels. Hair dryer with folding handle, which is difficult to refold. I used my own dryer. Dryer is located in a bag behind the bathroom's door. Sink area very small, with a wall mounted 6X20" glass shelf. Bathroom is also small. With only one bed, room for a small couch. Folding closet doors. Iron & board. Eight wooden hangers. Room & bath area very clean. A/C unit is easily reset. Breakfast: Hours 6:00-10:00. Steamers for scrambled eggs,, sausage patties, gravy & biscuits, bacon, fried eggs, two waffle makers, Make Your Own Pancakes- very good & tasty- oatmeal, hash browns, slices of round ham. Pasties, bagels, bread, English Muffins, blueberry muffins,. Four dry cereals. Orange, cranberry & apple juices. Flat screen for morning news. Seating is six table-4 chairs each-two separate counter with a total of 16 tall stools. Two children's high chairs. A woman-Sherry- and man were constantly wiping down tables & restocking items. Plenty of parking, with pool. Guest laundry on second & fourth floors. $2.25 wash, $2.00 dry. Large lobby with step down seating of several chairs, small & large couches. A short to the business center with three guest computers. Main nearby eateries: Arb'y-2 minute walk-Mexico Mexican & Roberto Italian Restaurants-both excellent- Waffle House, McDonalds & Ma & Pa diner. A set of two automatic sliding doors greet a guest, with three luggage carts between the doors. I want to thank the following staff: Jewel, Asja, G.M Mr. Brown, Darcelle & Sherry. The facility was picked for the location being on the south side of Richmond closest to the battlefields are northeast to south. This was my third stay, first two were just over night. Neighborhood is quiet, with traffic on Williamsburg well controlled to speeding vehicles. The only drawback is the small bathroom, the second stay bathroom was good size. If a fourth stay is in the future, will ask for a room with a larger bathroom. A stay is recommended.

They were able to accommodate my change in reservation, granted the room was directly next to the check in desk and was very loud. The free breakfast was definitely a bonus. The room was clean and just fine if you only need to be in the room to sleep.

You'll find it's very conveniently located, and yet, does not have that "congested" feel when you're near a city area. Simply lovely.

hotel needs to be updated , the door you could see light around the edge . The breakfast was alright at least it was clean . For the money I thought it would of been better. I stay in a hotel at least once a week . I don't think I will stay in a Best Western again.

They just let anyone walk by the front desk without asking their business or even calling the guest first. I had to leave early so unable to approach the manager about what took place but I figured possible customers would want to know before booking how they handle guest safety and security.

BW is close to the Richmond Airport which is great for an early morning flight. The hot breakfast that is provided is excellent. The variety of food available is almost like eating in a restaurant. Our first night stay was challenging because the shower/tub drain in the room just would not keep up with the water flow so we stood in water. Our next visit to this BW was just fine except the printer in the business center would not work. The young lady at the front desk did print out our tickets for us. BW is priced right for a small business traveler.

Located just off the main highway near many fast food and other restaurants as well as close to a grocery store. We were just stopping through so its a good location off the highway. The hot breakfast is a nice touch. Bed was comfortable and I felt safe in the area.

We traveled around Virginia for 10 days and found this BW to have friendly staff, clean and comfy rooms, excellent free breakfast, and a super airport shuttle service. Slow internet hook up in room. Walking distance to good restaurants though sidewalks are limited. Close to large shopping mall. Three computer stations in business room. Excellent value. 5 mins to airport.

Darcell was beyond amazing, when they say Home away from home, they really mean it. She made sure everything question I asked was answered and assisted in anyway she could. She made my stay memorable and Darcell is the reason I will return

I try to stay here whenever I am returning home from Virginia and have always had good service and a good nights rest. The shuttle to the airport has always been prompt and there are some items on the breakfast bar for those that have to leave before the regular breakfast begins. That is a nice addition when you have to leave at 4:30am. Checkin and checkout have gone very efficiently and have had no problems at any stay.

My mistake,booking for two nights.Morning buffet breakfast, a joke. Artificial scrambled eggs,some kind of simulated sausage patty,potatos and old bread to toast.The rooms are not furnished with Drawers(clothes storage) for even one person! My wife and I had to get our room keys reactivated after the first day.Not three star level!

I have stayed at this hotel in the past. I stay there because so far everytime I have stayed there it has always been clean and quiet. I have stayed at other motels and hotels in the area that wasn't clean or quiet. The Best Western has always been clean, that's why I stay there. Although there price has gone up some. Grocery store nearby, CVS and many places to eat all nearby.

This hotel is at a good location and friendly staff. I would come to this property all the time when I'm in Richmond. I was very pleased at how the check in process was and how clean the rooms were. Very clean and very good upkeep on the property

It was only a one night stay but it was a great stay! Darcell, the manager on duty, was a sweetheart! She was soo helpful and provided me with a quick check-in and scheduled my shuttle ride to the airport for the next morning! They had some breakfast items out at 0430. My room was clean and covers were fresh! I will stay here again if I have to come back to town.

I did not hear "NO" or "We can't do that" from any of the staff I interacted with. While I didn't need a rocket shot into space it was still good to know the simple things needed to accommodate a business resident was what they were here for.

I traveled here to spend a week with my boyfriend who is stationed on Fort Lee. My last 2 days in Richmond I reserved a room at this hotel. When I called the front desk I explained to the Operation Mgr that I was having a domestic dispute and needed to check in ASAP. She told me to come in and she would take care of me and she did. She was very polite and professional and made sure I was cared for. Aside that, the breakfast was great and the location isn't too far from the airport. If I ever go back to that area, I wouldn't mind staying at this BW again.

Great place to stay for a great price, too! I stayed here years ago when it was just Best Western (now a PLUS). Just as clean, quite and comfortable as it was the last time I was here! Plenty of places to choose from to eat, too. I would definitely stay here again.

Good location near airport; , clean, easy to access, excellent breakfast and offers an easy departure. Rooms appear refurbished but tidy. They are priced competitive, but will never get the Courtyard Marriott folks who want their points

This is not a Best Western Plus, it is barely a Best Western. The quality of the brand is none existent at this property. Filthy building, disgusting rooms, loud clientele. It was really hard to not walk right out after checking in.

Rooms were clean and nice, reception desk personnel friendly and helpful, breakfast was above average. Only downside was that there were no fans in the bathrooms. Liked the convenience to the airport. Good restaurants in vicinity.

The facility was clean and well kept. Breakfast was more than sufficient however fresh brewed coffee would be my preference. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only disappointment for me was the extremely small fitness room. The outdoor pool was very nice and clean!

This hotel was great to stay in since we were flying out of Richmond early the next day. Check-in was easy and we took our car to the lot after dinner. There was a shuttle that took us back to the hotel. Even though breakfast didn't start until 6, there was food out when we left at 5:15. Shuttle took us to the airport with no problems. When we arrived back in Richmond, there was a shuttle to take us to the parking lot. An excellent choice for a hotel for anyone flying out of the Richmond airport.

The purpose of my trip to Richmond was to accompany my granddaughter who was taking her car back to school with her. The next day I flew back home to Kentucky. I picked this location for its proximity to the airport I was using. The staff at the reservation counter and the shuttle driver were all professional, courteous and personable people, It was a pleasure to stay at their site. I think I made an excellent choice.

Visited on business, found many very reasonable hotels near the airport, this is one of them! Room was clean and comfortable, beds comfy, check in staff very pleasant and accommodating. However, a few items would probably keep me from staying here again: You get rationed one 1/2 dollar size square of soap! This is probably due to the salesperson that sold the hotel on putting liquid shampoo, conditioner, and body was pump dispensers in the shower--just like a high school gym, or lower class workout center. I didn't try any of it as I don't care to pump out body products that a group of others lathered up and pumped out before me. I'll include a picture from underneath and you decide. Second issue is the coffee in the breakfast area is some type of instant liquid-coffee mix that resembles a very loose and unappealing definition of real coffee. OMG I wish hotels would stop trying to save a small amount on offering good coffee. It is such a breakfast staple. Fortunately the packets in the room are real coffee but rationed to only two cups. Did try to get more but the staff said they didn't have anything but decaf. Please bring back the staples of quality travel amenities!

I chose this hotel based on reviews but I didn't feel completely comfortable there by myself. I was visiting my son at Fort Lee and it was a holiday weekend so that might have effected the clientele. My flight arrived late at night and there were always males lingering outside no matter what time I left or came back. Seems to be lots of construction workers staying there. I was expecting more of a business class based on location and price or families being a holiday weekend. I felt uncomfortable at the pool, I was the only female out there both times I visited and both times groups of men came out drinking beer. There was always males at the door smoking every time I came and went. Again, not even blue collar workers but kind of sketchy males. My room was clean, bed was comfortable but my son has to stay on the army base at night so I was not comfortable returning of an evening but had no issues once inside and room was quiet.

I would stay here again, would like to see an indoor pool. The breakfast that was offered was a full breakfast, complete with build your own yogurt bar. Missing the pool though, this would have been nice.

In a word the hotel is 6 minutes from airport terminal, it has a shuttle service that runs from 4AM to midnight, it is very economically below $100 priced and the rooms are clean. The rooms are clean, it has internet service but it is very old looking. For us a late arrival and early departure meant all we needed was a safe, clean room close to the airport at a reasonable price. Met our very limited need.

Close to airport, room was clean and comfortable--good value, staff was helpful and courteous. Fitness room was adequate, no hot tub, just small pool. Had to leave 5am so did not use the continental breakfast.

I had never stayed at a Best Western Plus hotel before and often equated them to a lower "quality" hotel. After my stay at this property, my mind and opinion was definitely changed for the better. The property was very well-maintained and the staff were very friendly. The price point and location was exactly what I was looking for and all of the above is why I will choose this brand/location again in the future.

Can't ask for much more if you're looking for a clean, affordable hotel. The staff was friendly and efficient. The rooms were pleasant, and location was convenient to airport and the city. Will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I chose to stay at this hotel because they allowed dogs without charging daily pet fees. Overall, we were quite pleased with our five night stay. The hotel staff was really friendly and helpful; they gave us a room on the first floor because we would be taking our dog outside frequently. Both the bedroom and bathroom were average in size and clean. The free internet was fast. Parking was free as well, and there were plenty of open spots - even on the weekends. The daily breakfast has lots of options - Belgian waffles, pancakes, eggs, potatoes, rotated breakfast meats (bacon, sausage patties, pork sausage), muffins, danishes, toast, oatmeal, juices, coffee, etc. - and we enjoyed it! There were only a few things we noticed that we didn't necessarily like. Our hotel room door made lots of noise, and if people walked by our room, we could easily hear everything they were saying. Also, because the hotel does not allow smoking inside (which, in my opinion, is great), a lot of people go outside to smoke. Taking my dog outside to go to the bathroom after dark felt uncomfortable because of this.

This hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and some very good choices for breakfast . Rooms are a little small but very clean . It is in a very good location with lots of eatery nearby ,lots of places to go shopping

After spending four nights a week in Hotels working 3 rd shift and at least 20 plus weeks a year. I Found this Hotel to be the top for Clean rooms very quiet for sleeping with a great Breakfast each morning our work group arrived from work.The breakfast alone is worth staying.

My original flight was delayed due to weather so was rebooked for a flight the next morning. My first hotel only had smoking rooms and I was able to get a refund for the night and called the Best Western for help! They had a non-smoking room available and took my reservation immediately. Mike and Faye were very friendly and attentive. I was starving and they showed me how to use their digital Concierge. The rooms are very clean as is the lobby area. They have an Air Port Shuttle - it runs starting at 4:15am which was fabulous and very conducive to my schedule. The driver, Wesley was awesome and very attentive to all his passengers. I was very glad I booked a reservation the night before so I'd have a seat in the morning as I had a super early flight. In the morning, my Hair Dryer was not working - Tia came up immediately with one that did work. The air conditioning works great!! It ran all night and was cool the whole time. I love their shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion Paya Dispensers!! I really wish more hotels would do this instead of the individual bottles/bars so you have enough of each for your whole trip. Even though my stay was super short (less than 24 hours), I would come back again! Next time I visit Richmond area I will look to stay here again even though it is a little farther from my work destination than I usually like but the people were great! I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a close hotel to the airport!

I have stayed at the BW Richmond Airport Hotel multiple times and I would recommend for the budget minded, family travelers. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The breakfast options could be improved but overall pretty good. My only negative is the hotel is very dated, updates to the decor are sorely needed.

Relying on reviews can be hit & miss bc so subjective so I had few expectations for one night at this hotel. I needed 3 things. Clean room. Early airport shuttle & some sort of breakfast. Having just seen a piece on hotels not changing bedding between guests I was on "high alert". But near as I could tell (& I was examining closely) the bedding appeared clean & fresh. The shuttle starts running before I needed it at 5am. I think it started around 4am. The breakfast was the real surprise. Far more options than I expected. Hot oatmeal & make-it-yourself waffle & pancake stations. Yogurt, muffins, pastries, English muffins, donuts and toast. There were granolas, dried fruits & nuts as well as fresh strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, pineapple for the yogurt/waffle/oatmeal stations. The hot foods were not meant to come out until 6 but "Wesley" obviously takes pride in his job & was able to get some of it out early (sausage & potatoes). He couldn't do it all early bc he's also the airport shuttle guy & we had to leave by 5am but Wesley also had my bags in his van and ready to go. Best Western=best in my book! Thanks Wesley. You rock!

I had a quick overnight stay at this hotel for a business trip. It's a quick 5-6 minute ride from the airport. (Note the hotel does have a shuttle and you can call them when you land). The staff was straightforward and professional. The room is average - a bit dated -but the bed is glorious! I felt like I was floating on a sea of clouds (and I don't normally get too excited about a bed). I took a Lyft to downtown the next day and it was a 15 minute ride. So the hotel was convenient for flying in late at night and getting to downtown easily the next day.

Very nice hotel with clean rooms; quiet. Beds were quite comfortable! Hot water always on demand, nice coffee in the rooms provided. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It is located very close to the Richmond Airport, but there are no noise issues.

My Tour company booked me in to the Super 8 just a few doors away from this Best Western. The Super 8 hotel is nasty, with sketchy characters & even had a woman murdered in her room a day before my arrival. I called the tour company & requested that they get me a room at this Best Western, based on the good reviews. Needless to say, I was very happy with my stay. First there was room to park my Motorcoach in the back. My room was very clean & the bed was comfortable. I was on the 4th floor and was concerned about the possible smell of cigarette smoke, based on previous reviews. The sweet young lady that checked me in assured me I would not smell it, And I didn't! I think they have a few smoking rooms on that floor. The breakfast was as good or better than most places. I did appreciate they had pure maple syrup for the waffles. The young lady taking care of the breakfast area was on top of everything. The swimming pool was very clean. The ladies at check in & check out were very polite & professional. If I had to pick anything negative, the carpet in the main hallway had some stains. No big deal to me as everything else was great! It appears that the management hires good help & takes the extra effort to give their guests a clean comfortable stay. I recommend this hotel, especially if you are staying near the Richmond Airport RVA...

Everything from check-in, the room, the breakfast, and check-out was first rate. Will definitely be back here the next time we stay over in Richmond area. The breakfast area has a fresh yogurt machine, the first we have encountered in a hotel. It also had a waffle machine, pancake machine, and everything else, plus space to spread out in.

Have stayed at this property twice. One year between stays. The staff is friendly and well trained. We will stay at this property every time we are in the Richmond area. After our stay last year my kids asked to stay here when they found out we would be in the area.

This was my 2nd time in 2 weeks that I stayed at this hotel. It was clean, staff was very nice. And the breakfast buffet was the best I've been too. This is right next to the Richmond Airport. Very convenient to stay there. Highly recommend it. Will be back.

I absolutely loved the best Western richmond airport hotel. The staff was friendly, everything was clean and bright, the breakfast was amazing. I didn't get a chance to go in the pool but my daughter and cousin did and they had a ball. Definitely staying here next time im in the area. Only thing I had a problem with was a discrepancy with the bill. There was a mix up and u eded up paying a little more than $20 more for my stay than originally booked for.

Overall hotel was clean. Beds clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Attendants who were very friendly, were attentive to restocking as things ran out. Food was good. The only problem was I could smell weed in hall when we returned to our non smoking room. I don't know if anyone can control that. I would book at this hotel again

Hotel Staff at the front desk was nice and helpful. Although late checkout was requested, hotel staff (housekeepers) continued to knock every 20 mins before the requested checkout time to make sure I had told the front desk, which I did on arrival.

Nice place, great staff, decor is just a bit dated. It was very convenient for our group attending a family reunion in Richmond, VA. Appears to be a popular place as there were several groups staying and enjoying the amenities.

Room was large, with fridge, good tv etc. There was a guest washer and dryer on 2nd and 4th floors - great for long-term travellers like us. I was thrilled to have an iron and ironing board but not so thrilled when the dirty iron plate put brown marks on my t-shirt! BAD! Hotel was noisy - doors banging, hearing people talking in the passageway outside. Breakfast above average with some hot food. Ok for one night, no more.

Our Trip was fabulous, from the easy check in to the complimentary late check out, the BW Crew were accommodating and very professional! We came down as a group for my best friends wedding and this was in an optimal location. The rooms were a decent size for the price and very clean compared to what I've experienced. The wifi was easy to connect the pool was clean and there were plenty of towels!!! Great job to the staff and We Thank You!!

This was ideal for our 5-day visit to Richmond. Looks like it was recently renovated. Close to the airport but we weren't disturbed by plane noise. About 15 minutes from downtown Richmond. Great variety of food items for breakfast and coffee/tea available 24/7. Helpful staff, Nice outdoor pool (but not much shade until late afternoon). We stayed on 4th floor which was quiet. Since it is a great value you might have large groups staying there. We had young girls softball teams. Thankfully our room was not near them and we were able to use the pool when they were at practice or games. We would stay there again.

My family and I had a great experience here at the Best Western. Both the exterior and interior were very clean. The hotel appeared remodeled. Furniture and fixtures were updated and looked new. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our rooms were nice and very clean. Wifi, premium tv, exercise room, pool use, and breakfast were included in our stay. Breakfast was delicious and the options were more extensive than any other hotel breakfast I've experienced. I would definitely stay here again. Bravo Best Western!

I had to fly out of the Richmond Airport at 6 am after visiting my parents who live near Charlottesville - too far to drive in the middle of the night. I booked the Best Western and was very happy. Clean room with lots of amenities (fridge, King bed, etc.). Very convenient to airport, plenty of parking, airport shuttle (which I did not use but they have 4:30 am -midnight). It was also really quiet! Super nice staff at front desk, even the reservation person on the phone was very nice. I left at 4:30 am, so pre-breakfast, but they had some carry-out things ready, and coffee, etc.

I was there with my daughters travel team and thought that this hotel was a great choice for the price. The breakfast was great compared to some other hotels I have stayed at. They ad lots of good quality, tasty, well stocked food. I would definitely stay here again when in the area.

My recent stay at Best Western Plus was absolutely great. Friendly staff from check-in to check-out. Clean rooms, great continental breakfast, pool, and did I mention the friendly staff. Everyone there greeted you and spoke to you in passing. I have never stayed at such a friendly place. I would refer anyone to this Hotel.

Overall stay was good. Great value for the money. Staff very helpful and friendly. We stayed for the stay and fly package. Although you must leave your car at the fly and go lot. It was not a problem the hotel shuttled you back and forth to the lot or airport.

This is an older hotel, but everything is in working order. The interior is a bit outdated, but everything is clean. Rooms are spacious. Bed comfortable. Breakfast is better than average. Staff is friendly.

The Hotel was near the airport and there were food options nearby (Burger King, Arby's, A Mexican Restaurant, also there were other food delivery options). The rooms have a fridge and microwave, flat screen tv, free Wi-Fi, iron and hair dryer; however the room felt a little cramped with two double beds and the bathroom was small. There was also a laundry on the second floor (where I stayed) and ice machine, but no vending machines (this was on the first floor).

I have been staying at the hotel for about 4 years and the staff is friendly and has always worked to make the stay comfortable. The hotel has always been adding to and improving the breakfast bar. Parking is good around the hotel and poll is open into September.

Very Good Hotel, close to the airport although I never heard a plane take off or land. Not all that close to downtown Richmond, but it was a very acceptable distance to drive (15-10 minutes). Good breakfast, clean comfortable room, good internet in room.

This place, although not overly fancy, was an exceptional place to stay. The room was attractive and clean, and everything worked! The breakfast made it all worth it - such a wonderful selection of hot and cold foods, including fresh blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, pineapple, etc. for the fresh yogurt from the machine. The staff were all friendly and very accommodating. I wish every hotel experience I have was as good as this one. Highly, highly recommend!

When I inquired about parking for the week, was offered a superb deal to park in a secure lot nearby with transportation back to BW.only $20/wk! Hotel staff extremely friendly. Airline crews stay here.

Reviews on line give this hotel more credit that it's worth. Its your very basic budget hotel. If you want to save money this is your hotel. Recent upgrades done but very cheaply. many kids everywhere.

After a few days in western Virginia, I needed a place to crash near the Richmond airport so I could get a little sleep before an early morning flight. This hotel is right across the street from the airport, so the location was perfect. Stayed in a non-smoking room with a king-size bed, which was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The room was definitely dated and showed signs of wear -- a hole worn in the carpet, peeling wallpaper, etc. For a quick place to set up camp before an early morning flight, though, it did exactly what I needed it to do: provide a comfortable place to crash.

good location... rooms were clean and comfortable.. staff was extremely helpful and friendly...maybe some updating? we met the staff thruout.. in the hall, in the lot etc.. and all were telling us if we needed anything to call and they would be available until midnite or so.. bed was comfortable.. noise was normal...the only complaint (and the staff we told was SO APOLOGETIC) was the dust vent in the bathroom.. it looked like it was never cleaned.. and its easy to miss because of its location etc.. other than that.. everything was fine.. and would return

This was a really nice hotel, bit at all what I expected for a Best Western. My room was pretty clean. There was a dead, dried up bug on the wall, but other than that it was ok. You could tell they tried to reglaze the tub was, but it was peeling on the outside. I checked out to early for breakfast.

New location for us on our route home from FL; N.B. avoid toll road to get here - $4.25 costs for 1 minute access not necessary. Hotel was clean & comfortable - other than our room had a very obvious soiled/stained carpet, which we reported to front desk; also this hotel unlike other BW's we book - requires a 24 hour cancellation notice - most will allow up to 6:00 pm on day of check-in. Was not an issue - this time - but you never know when travel plans will change at the last minute and I was surprised at the notice required compared to others.

Staff at this hotel is exceptional!!! Very friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was average but you had a lot of options to choose from.

The hotel was very clean, quiet, and perfect for an overnight stay before an early morning flight. The hot breakfast was good quality and presented in a very clean eating area. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The commute to the airport was less than six minutes. All in all a very delightful stay after traveling all day in a car readying for your flight the next day. I did notice there was a laundry room by the elevator of both washer and dryer. Very close to the ice and vending machines. The room was equipped with microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot. Coffee and tea were provided for the next morning. The bathroom was a unique layout, and was easy to maneuver around with plenty of room. The airconditioning/heating unit was not on when we arrived, but it didn't take very long before the room was pleasingly comfortable. Beds were comfy, and pillows were just the right fluffiness. We were very pleased with the overnight stay.

The thing which makes me choose Best Western for every trip is their staff. The way they receive the customer. They are so nice and friendly. It is really a very good place to stay with clean rooms and especially i love the breakfast service everyday. It is yummy.

This hotel is one of the best. Ask for room 202. It has Tile floors and it feels much cleaner than carpet floors. We stayed four days and enjoyed everything. The staff is flexible and gracious. Our flight was unexpectedly canceled and the management gave us a very reasonable rate to stay one more night. It's also close to the airport, many restaurants and freeway access.

Out of the many Best Westerns I stayed at this was the worst ...Wont be back If I can help it! A smile goes a long way and not one employee other that the maids even cracked a grin! They were more focused on leaving for the day then getting me checked in for my room! I literally walked in at 2:40 and was told there were no rooms available came back 15min later to a line of people waiting and a new FD staff that had plenty of rooms to offer!

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, wi-fi was fast. The best thing about this place was the breakfast! Pastries, fresh oatmeal & yogurt with a variety of toppings, waffles, pancakes, eggs, potatoes, canadian bacon, sausage, cereals, juices, and great coffee! A clean room and a good breakfast is really all it takes to impress me with a hotel.

We had a dirty spot on the toilet. But after traveling all day we were to tired to call and wait for anyone to clean it. We woke up the next morning refreshed and had such a great breakfast we completely forgot to complain. We would definitely stay there again. On our last morning I spilled my coffee. The lady there helped me clean it up without making me feel bad. Great Customer Service !

Room was clean, staff was busy but very friendly to us. Hotel was full on this weekend. Hotel is older, doors are narrower than modern ones. It was clean and comfortable. If you are really picky then do not stay here, if you are ok with slightly out of date styles, you will be happy as I was. Breakfast was excellent.

I was picked up quickly at airport by a super friendly and helpful driver. The desk clerk at time of check-in was very helpful in switching me from a smoking to a non-smoking room. The manager was very gracious and helpful in giving me a later check-out time as my outgoing flight was later in evening. He was friendly and took me to airport in the shuttle.

I was looking at the deals thru the Best Western site and came across a good rate for my daughter's graduation weekend. The rooms are nice, they have all the amenities we normally look for when traveling. The free breakfast was good. They have an up to date fitness center and the staff is friendly and helpful.

It felt like home at this hotel. The check in and checkout were great. The breakfast is homemade and delicious. It is so relaxing when I travel for business and breakfast is delicious and nutritious. Thank you Richmond.

Excellent Breakfast!! I thought the pool should have been open by now. The room was good size and clean. Wi-Fi was strong, no problems. Had to call housekeeping at about 2pm to change my garbage on the first day, second day they showed up on their own.

Getting my Nephew from Boot Camp. Awesome time. Drove from South Carolina and was beat, the room was a welcome. Comfortable and roomie. Had a bed brought in and great attitude from all the staff. Will come back.

Im a marriott rewards member but due to my mother in law raving about this hotel, i decided to give it a try. The breakfast is always perfect. Lorenzo and Cheryl really go out of their way yo make you feel like family. Anything i need, they are right there.

Booked a room through hotels.com for 1 night with my sister before renting a moving truck the next morning. Arrived at the hotel around 11:30pm. Checked in and proceeded to the elevator. The moment we got off in the 4th floor all I smelled was cigarettes. We got to our room and it smelled even worse. We asked for another room, as we both have allergies and could feel my eyes itching and coughing. Front desk informed us that since we booked through a 3rd party, we don't get a choice in rooms and no other room was available. The called the shuttle bus driver to come spray out room with what smelled like lemon pledge, and lasted all of 10 minutes. Needless to say I had a headache and horrible allergies all night. What hotel still has smoking rooms in 2017?!? What clientele are you trying to impress??? Last but not least, our carpet was FILTHY!!! Like gross!! Like someone died on the carpet and they never called Stanley steamer. I was completely skeeved out. Please clean you carpets and make this a non smoking hotel. I will never stay here again, and I wouldnt recommend anybody else to either.

I really enjoyed this weekend!!I must say that Asja was a multi-tasker!!! I had a really speedy check-in & check-out thanks to her!!! Rooms are really nice!!!! Would also like to point out that service was great,but this morning had to wait a little bit longer than expected on waffle mix!!!Would recommend on staying here,but continental breakfast could be a little better!!!

Was great and I had a pleasant stay there, the staff was very helpful, the hotel was clean and had all the amenities... breakfast was great had a wide selection of breakfast to choose from, was a great stay overall

We stayed here one night after arriving at the airport at midnight. We called for the shuttle and it was at the airport in five minutes. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The hotel room was dingy and old and the toilet wouldn't flush right. The mattress was hard and the pillows were thin. We didn't sleep very well. The next morning, breakfast made up for it. It's the best selection ever seen at a hotel of this type. Make your own waffles, pancakes, there was eggs, ham, hot oatmeal cold cereal something for everyone including yogurt, with fresh fruit lots of different toppings. The man filling the breakfast was literally running back-and-forth keeping everything filled and fresh. The customer service and the great breakfast would bring us back again.

I was up on the 3rd floor with a view of a motel foundation next door. The Legacy Inn is no more and there's a big ole fence around the property. The BW Plus had a strong disinfectant smell in the lobby. Heard an alarm going off in another room in the early morning where no one in the room answered it. Contacted the front desk and it was quickly taken care of. Agent at check-in was helpful and pleasant. And Lorenzo and check out was fast and friendly. I'd stay here again.

1st room had water dripping from the bathroom ceiling, which we realized in the middle of the night. Explained problem next day and asked for new room. Absolutely no apology, expression of concern, or hint of compensation offered by the staff, who clearly don't care at this hotel. New room one of the worst possible: right by the lobby so there's extra noise and food odor. We needed bedding for the sofabed. When it came there was no pillow or blanket. We pointed out the lack to the staff person who literally seemed stunned that anyone would want such things. We found an extra blanket in the closet (the staff was too dumb to suggest this) and eventually the staff person brought a pillow around claiming it was the only extra pillow they had (in the whole hotel?!). All this and I'm a Platinum member at Best Western, so they could at least pretend to care. Avoid this hotel. Poor service, staff clearly doesn't care, bad rooms.

Check in and check out was fast with friendly, helpful staff. The room was very comfortable with all stated amenities. The hotel is in a quiet area of town. Complimentary breakfast was available with nice variety.

This hotel is always clean, beds comfortable, and breakfast is adequate. Front desk staff members are pleasant and efficient. Location is good and near airport with shuttle service. The parking area is large and will accommodate trucks with trailer. Restaurants, grocery stores and shopping centers are near by. We have been staying here twice yearly for at least 10 years with no complaints. We highly recommend.

We visit this area for roller skating competitions. The facility was rated well on Trip Advisor so we booked one room for one night. This was a very good choice. From the moment we were welcomed by Joy at the reception desk until we were wished "safe travels" by the morning staff, this was a good experience. The price was reasonable, the value received our highest rating. Clean rooms, attentive staff, quiet hallways, comfortable common areas, great breakfast, well stocked room . . . it was all good. We will be back for more competitions. We will be happy to return to this welcoming, comfortable home away from home.

Stayed here for 4 days while attending concerts at the Coliseum. Booked online, which I am uncomfortable doing, I like to see where I'll be especially when am not from the area. What a pleasant surprise! My room was so nice, very clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable too! The staff were all so friendly and helpful. They greeted you every time you walked in and were more than willing to tell you how to get around. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get where I had to go, the hotel is located in a way that it is easy to get almost anywhere. I will stay here again if I am in the area!

I've stayed here multiple times, and I've had a problem two times now where the reservation somehow didn't go through. So, when we got there, we had to wait and go through the whole reservation process again. The first time this happened was a busy weekend, but fortunately there were 2 rooms available. The hotel does not honor the government rate on busy weekends, which I've never encountered in other hotels. Otherwise I LOVE that there are hand soap, lotion, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner dispensers in the bathrooms. Most of Europe does this, and it saves on so much plastic, so kudos to Best Western for that! If you like a lot of sugar and meat in your breakfast, then this hotel has the continental breakfast for you (but not for me!).

my sister was dying in a nearby hospital . My brother and I were paying for rooms for family and friends. The front desk cancelled a reservation for someone who stayed at the hospital and then would not waive the charge and my brother had to drive to the hotel to make another reservation for this person.They would not extend the reservations for us and we were paying for 4-5 rooms

We stayed at this Hotel because we have stayed at if before and found it met our needs. We had an early morning flight and this hotel is very close and has an airport shuttle. The hotel was clean and we had no problems. We were not looking for a resort, but somewhere to stay that was clean and quiet. The only problem, and not the hotel's fault, was we were awakened late in the night by a group loudly announcing their intent for a wild party, and again by the same group when they left just as loudly some time later.

Hotel and rooms very clean and well appointed. The room we had was missing an easy chair--only had one business chair so the 2nd person sat on the bed. Also, the room was small to the point the pathway at the end of the beds was a one way street, Got to be irritating. Breakfast was excellent and employees were very pleasant and helpful. Would stay again.

We were a little way off and called to see if they had a room that could sleep 3 adults in separate beds, they did and it was set up by the time we arrived. Room was clean. The breakfast bar is not to be missed make your own oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, and yogurt sundaes all with lots of toppings. Plus lots of other hot food and breakfast regulars. I would stay again if in the area.

As usual they went out of their way to make sure my stay was wonderful. From check in to check out the staff was superior. Breakfast was very good. Able to make and enjoy pancakes. Staff was wonderful.

We stayed here for one night prior to an early flight. It was fine for that purpose but I found the carpet damp as well as the sheets. It was clean but it was clear the property is aging and looking worn although they are making a good effort to keep it up.

Hair on the bathroom door frame where the hinges are attached. Stain on bathroom floor under the hair. Welcome mat in lobby with outside edge unraveling and lifting up (trip hazard). Drawers in room that were difficult to open or close.

The staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and fresh. Beds are a little small. (My husband is 6'4" I'm only 5'2",so it was a little cramped for us together) Breakfast was fresh and price appropriate. We would stay here again.

Have to give this a top ten in all categories. Room, Staff,Shuttle,Breakfasts all excellent. Great check in and out. 0400 coffee was ready when taking shuttle to the airport. Super shuttle driver. Will stay here again when I visit

The location was perfect for us. We toured and visited several Civil War places. The complimentary breakfast had a lot of selections, cold and hot food. We would saty here again. It is close to shopping, historical places, and museums.

The room was very clean. The pool area was very clean. We enjoyed the pool and had the pool mostly to ourselves. It was extremely hot during our visit so the pool was wonderful. The breakfast self-serve area was kept very clean and supplied well. All the employees were very nice. We are planning to stay at this hotel again in the very near future. Cannot beat it for the price and the location. The soap dispensers etc in the shower were very nice.

I stayed at this location in order to get my girlfriend to the airport early the next morning for her flight out of town. Upon arrival the front desk clerk asked if we had a preference of which floor we wanted. A first floor room was available that gave us a perfect view of our car right outside our window. We checked out early the next morning with no major issues. The only issue we had was the computer system was down so we couldn't get a receipt right away. Darcell the front desk clerk emailed me the receipt when the system came back up a couple of hours later. I would like to thank the entire staff for a great visit. Professional courteous and friendly. I appreciate the security cameras everywhere. I will continue to stay at this hotel when I am in the area. Outstanding job.

We were leaving another hotel in Richmond because of the poor service so this was a last minute choice. We had room on the second floor. The soap, shampoo, and lotion dispensers were a nice touch. They had a gym and a pool but we didn't have time to check it out. There also were many options to choose from for breakfast. Staff was courteous. Will stay here again.

Great value for a great stay. Self serve breakfast layout and quality is the best I have ever experienced. Breakfast included 2 waffle makers, pancake machine, do-it-yourself yogurt parfait, cereal hot & cold, bagels, muffins, and other breakfast items. Great staff who go above and beyond to help you. The cleanliness was great, bathroom was a little tight for movement, but clean and functional. The room had a larger than normal college size fridge and microwave. Work desk for those who require work space. The only downfall were the beds. You can tell they were made of springs, as they made a little noise when you rolled over and you felt them a bit when you slept. The beds could sleep two, but it was a little tight when you try to roll over. Overall stay was great and the staff were great!

I had a great stay at Best Western, as always. The ladys at check in was friendly and very nice. It was quite at night, no loud noises. The room was clean, Housekeeping did a good job cleaning the room everyday. The beds were comfortable. I will be staying here more in the future for my fishing tournaments.

This hotel is one my favorites to stay in in Richmond. They have remodeled the interior some and made it look a lot better. The rooms are extremely nice very clean bathrooms have been upgraded very clean. Only problem I have with it is the bed mattress is too hard maybe just for me had a hard time getting comfortable. Will stay there any time I go to Richmond.

First off, this is a "smoking allowed" hotel. Our room was a non-smoking room and was clean; however, the common areas all smelled of cigarette smoke. For this, I can only rate 2 out of 5 - it was that noticeable. Nothing spectacular about the hotel - it was a place to sleep for the night and very reasonably priced.

Really enjoyed our stay. The drive to move our daughter from PA to Richmond for Grad School was a long,tedious 9 hours. Never got to the hotel until 10pm. Glad I opted for late check-in so our room was available at that late hour. Desk clerk extremely friendly and helpful both on the phone and in person. Extra parking for the U-haul was a plus and a 5 minute drive to drop off location. Hotel was extremely quiet for being so close to the airport. Breakfast was the best I've had at any hotel offering many items to choose from. Was a convenient 10 minute drive to where our daughter is living. Will definitely be staying there when when come to Richmond for a return visit.

We stayed here based on previous reviews. Honestly the hotel is not as good as the reviews show. Perhaps it is this side of town, but this is the second hotel we have stayed at near the airport and have been disappointed both times. The staff is friendly, but the hotel is very dated and had a strange smell on the 2nd floor hallway. Our room was clean, but the carpet is stained and the A/C was only adequate. We will not be back.

This was the best bang for the buck anywhere right near the airport. Older and smaller hotel, but the room was clean, staff was nice, & the breakfast was good with many options. The courtesy van to/from the airport was good, and the drivers were friendly. If you are expecting a luxurious hotel, then you will need to look elsewhere and pay 2 to 3 times what you get here. I would stay here again if needed.

The hotel location was good, close to the interstate and Richmond International Airport drove down from Washington DC, I was shock there was no traffic. arrive early at hotel asked if we could check in, the clerk(LORENZO) was so friendly, he checked and it were rooms available to check. the rooms were clean and smell fresh, beds had good mattresses, breakfast was satisfying. look forward to staying there real soon, going back to visit my family. Making my reservations ahead of time (3 Months) I was guaranteed the best room choice at Best Western. I was disappointed in my room on many levels. These issues are listed below. Using the restroom on arrival, to my chagrin there was hair all over the bathroom floor. My request for someone to clean the floor was handled promptly. The hair was the issue not the service! Faulty smoke alarm issue: After chirping every 30 seconds and many attempts to rectify the problem, a replacement was made after a long 7(seven) hours. During this time it continued to chirp! Management initially told staff to not replace the detector. A major concern is why the room was extremely damp. Everything in the room including the carpet was damp and smelled bad. Bedcovers and towels included. Our clothes eventually absorbed this dampness and odor. The odor permeated everything in the room. We were staying with a group who meet annually in different states. I have a shared interest with this group. We like to share information and ideas as well at these events. According to my group leader we were not allowed to set up a display of our information in the hotel nor there was a conference room available. Therefore I was not able share the boxes of information I brought from home. I hope the powers that be take in to account that persons staying at Best Western facilities expect some degree of safety and comfort. We don't expect it to be homelike. With that logic we should not have to worry about being ignored or dismissed or considered as just a paying customer who will be gone soon. Based on this experience I will probably think twice before staying at a Best Western Hotel again.

Stayed here on our road trip through the south east. First night of our trip and it was a good experience. We had a late check in that went smoothly, and the rooms were decently clean and comfortable. Didn't like the half pillows the bed had, but the water pressure made up for that. Only about a 45 minute ride to Colonial Williamsburg. Continental breakfast was clean and a decent spread.

Very quiet, clean room. Great coffee! Made fresh all day. Excellent breakfast with eggs, bacon or sausage daily. Sweet rolls, waffles, fruit, and cereal. Room had a microwave and refrigerator. Plenty of restaurants nearby. We took up several tables, but there were plenty of seats for all of us and room for others. Nice lobby. Friendly staff. Near Krogers and other shopping. Near the airport but never heard the planes.

Made reservations 3 months in advance to stay here to attend a wedding in town. We would be traveling 5 hours by car and explained we needed an early check in, like 1 hour early, was told no problem since lots of people from the wedding were staying there. She explained she was putting a note on my reservations and that would not be a problem. Called a few days before date to confirm and was again told no problem, note on reservations. We arrive at 1 hour before check in time and was told our room was not ready and made no attempt to help us get in a room since we were on a time schedule to change for the wedding and be picked up at a certain time.My main complaint is with the hotel clerk that no way wanted to help us in this situation. After speaking with another clerk we were let in our room a few minutes after checking time. Very unfriendly hotel clerk. Air condition was so loud it kept me awake.

Very nice the staff made me feel like a king, and the place is very clean and quiet and extremely convenient to the airport. I would definitely make this a first class hotel and recommend it to all my friends and family

I have to stay in Richmond 4 to 5 times a year and decided to try the best wester only because the place I normally stay at in this area was booked and the reviews looked good. Boy was I surprised first it is off the main road making it a lot quieter. The lobby is spotless and the staff was attentive and pleasant. The room was on the slightly smaller size but was in excellent condition and well decorated. The tv selection with direct tv was better than my choices at home. As for the bed it was extremely comfortable and the fittings looked new. My biggest surprise was the price it is lower than most of the others in the area that you would want to stay at and even better than a few you wouldn't stay at even if there was nothing available in the area. The other great part for me was is was across the street from my favorite Mexican restaurant in Richmond. I know I will be back to stay here even when I have to be at the other end of Richmond as the value is probably the best I have found in this area

My room had a 'twin bed' which I never expected but should have known. Very small! A business friend was with me and received a king, yet both had the same request. The fitness center was not acceptable. Two of the three machines didn't work and the 'weight' machine had two positions. Location is great for airport in and out.

The service and welcoming spirit of the employees and manager at Best Western Plus Richmond Airport Hotel was outstanding! Our family was in Richmond for a family gathering and the Hotel staff took excellent care of our needs. The hotel was clean and is conveniently located 5 minutes from the airport. Clean room, nice shower and soap dispensers, microwaves and fridges in every room, good breakfast, and friendly staff - can't ask for much more than that. Only down side is that they still offer smoking rooms, but we were on a different floor and didn't smell the smoke at all (and I'm VERY sensitive to smoke smell).

I was in Richmond for a week and the Best Western was perfect. I asked for an upper, quiet room and that is exactly what they gave me. It was very clean, quiet and I felt perfectly safe being alone there. It is close to some shopping if you have a car and the breakfast was perfect.

We picked this hotel because it was close to the airport. Turns out, it is only 5 mins away. The room was comfortable, clean and relaxing. Great shower with lots of hot water! The internet was fast and the hotel computer readily available. We would stay here again without hesitation.

We got a great rate for this hotel through Trip Advisor and it was soo easy! I'm often skeptical about "ratings" because I never know if hotel staff is doing it. I must admit, the rating listed on this website was pretty accurate. Our stay was June 29th -July2, 2016. "Tia" checked us in and she was very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfast was good (although they only had pork the entire time we were there for breakfast meat- try turkey sausage/bacon sometimes), the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was nice (loved all of the pre-filled dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap!) and everything was updated. Thanks to the wonderful lady that prepared the breakfast and kept it stocked during the "rush" (I don't have the card with her name). Overall, great stay!!

The motel was misaddressed as adjoining near the airport. couldn't be found as there was another hotel there, and in fact was more than 5 miles distant in a secluded location behind another motle with no easily visible signage. I will never use Best Western again!

Only stayed overnight however everything was nice. Clean room and comfortable bed. Front desk called 20 minutes after we checked in to see if everything was up to our standards...nice touch. Free breakfast in the morning...basic food but nice to have coffee and tea right there. Would stay again.

This hotel was far below the expectations we have for Best Western. We were extremely tired and looked forward to the excellent accomodations we have come to expect from Best Western. As we walked into the room the room we noticed a bad smell. At that point all we really wanted to do was get into bed to rest, so, we simply put up with it.

Best Western Plus Richmond is located close to the airport and offers a pick up/drop off shuttle which is handy for air travellers. Our room was clean and unto the normal expected standards. All staff were very friendly and appeared to be wanting to assist with any queries that we had. There are several eateries within walking distance of the hotel.

This is the third time we've stayed at this hotel in the past few months. Always a good experience here. Location is great; a very clean hotel; the breakfast is one of the best for a hotel I've had in quite a while.

Stayed here a year ago, and they've upgraded the type & amount of breakfast items since then, and the bed & pillows are very comfortable. King room quite roomy & seemed quiet. Number of parking spaces seems limited, so try to check in before dinner time. Hotel & sign back off main road, so be paying attention when going down main road.

Don't ever really consider a Best Western but this hotel was very clean, super staff and great breakfast. I would definitely consider a Best Western Plus in future travels. Really a great value and surprisingly nice.

This is my favorite place to stay when I need to catch an early morning flight from RIC. I had a problem with getting a wake up call set up from my room and went to the front desk that took care of setting it. I never received it. It was ok, I had a back up on my phone. They no longer have park and stay. That's ok, I go to the Park and Fly a few blocks away. Everything is new and shiny and spotless and you have a choice of pillows!

Very good value and wonderful staff. They offered a shuttle within a 3 mile radius so we didnt have to drive. All people were very professional in dealing with them. It was easy for us to get to. Breakfast was great. Lot of things to do in the area.

Conveniently located near Richmond airport, with reliable and friendly shuttle service. Very friendly staff. Excellent value if you need to stay close to the airport for an early morning departure. No dining area in the hotel, but walking distance to Burger King & Arby's.

The room was clean and large. There was a microwave and fridge, and the TV was modern. The bed was comfortable. I liked the soap and shampoo dispensers especially. The gentleman who looked after the breakfast area made sure everyone was satisfied with their meal, and continually kept the food refreshed. There was a lot of variety, eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, yogourt, biscuits, and juices. I was very happy with the friendly staff and the overall experience.

We have been staying at this hotel for the past three years to go to Richmond international speedway. It has really never been great, just ok. But, this past stay was horrible! The outside of the hotel had cigarette butts everywhere. The carpet in the hallways and room are disgusting. Our room smelled like body odor. There was hair all over the tub and toilet. My husband picked up the ice bucket to get ice and there was ants all over it and the tv stand. Just nasty!! We will be finding somewhere else to stay!

Staff could not have been more helpful. My daughter and grand daughter had to stay and extra day to make a flight, staff left her check in early, shuttled her to a nearby park for my grand daughter to play while they waited. Shuttled them to airport and made sure they made it on time. Great breakfast and super value. We had to spend two other days at a so called downtown icon hotel, not near the value, room size or helpful staff. Thanks to the staff!

We had a very stressful happening before arriving at the Richmond Best Western. Our shuttle drivers were very efficient and good drivers. The breakfast was amazing with everything from oatmeal to waffles, etc. The attitude is "ask and you shall receive". I would recommend this hotel.

Very clean and comfortable. I stayed while taking a break from a long drive. The hotel was great and the included breakfast was excellent. Such a great hotel with many amenities, friendly staff at a true value that you can always expect from a Best Western.

Priced appropriately, the rooms were very clean, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I stayed here as it was perfectly located to visit Bush Gardens, and downtown Richmond, and affordable. It was myself and my 2 children and we felt safe.

Clean room, noisy refrigerator. Friendly staff. I disagree that there ahould be a pet fee but instead it should be a deposit, refundable upon check out. I got no services for my fee. There was no designated dog area, and there was no garbage container nearby. I have been traveling around the country. this was my first Best Western experience. I feel I have gotten better value from a motel 6 for 1/2 the price and no pet fee

Just like the headline states, this is a clean and dirty hotel all at the same time. My room was fairly clean....the sheets were clean, the bathroom was also clean. However, the carpeting, curtains and paint were aged....a little dirty. There was a musty smell throughout as well. For $95 a night I could stay here or I could spend $30 more to stay at the Courtyard right next door and be in a much cleaner and quieter situation. Free breakfast doesn't mean too much to me, sorry.

I'll make this one simple with a pro and con list. Pros: Nice room, Free Breakfast, Clean, Comfortable, Decent location Cons: Value was just OK, Loud (room was by the elevators) I'll give it 4 stars overall. Not bad for a relatively cheap stay.

Very nice and helpful staff that made our stay seamless. I miss them already. Our 2nd floor room was clean and functional. The beds were very sleep-able for our 5 night stay. We choose this hotel because of its price and location as its 10-12 minutes from downtown after a quick drive down the freeway. The airport is closer yet we weren't bothered by plane noise. Nice shopping and eating is just minutes away too. We had a rental car but I did use the hotel shuttle as we flew out at 5:45am and I had turned in the rental car the night prior. The shuttle driver was like the rest of the staff, a nice guy doing his job very well. The breakfast was good and included in the price of the stay. As the title states, this will be my go to hotel in the future for the Richmond VA area. I recommend giving it a try as its a good value for a no nonsense traveler.

The hotel appears small from the outside, but that's due to the driveway being so small and the hotel having to share a space. Upon entering, however, it presents a very modern look...hardwood laminate, nice modern furniture, updated vending machines and laundry machines, fresh like-new carpet, no rust, no musty smells, no peeling paint, nothing broken, but bright, light, and airy. The beds are full-size, not queens. There's a microwave and refrigerator in each room. The bathrooms are small, but workable. Above all, the customer service is exceptional, which is what I look for. The young lady who checked us in (I arrived with 10 rowdy teenagers) was very professional and courteous in her attempt to get us checked in relatively quickly. The bellman was also extremely helpful. I only tip when I have received exceptional service. Let's just say, the bellman was worth every dime. He was extremely kind and helpful. I generally only stay at 4 & 5-star hotels because the thought of sleeping where someone else has lain their head scares me. But, this was work, so I stayed where they sent me. It wasn't bad at all. If I had to, I'd stay here again; it was just that nice.

This Best Western is close to the Richmond International Airport. They have excellent breakfast included. The staff were all friendly and the front desk made check in easy and they were very attentive.

This was my first time staying at this location. I was very pleased and will try and remember if ever back to this location. Staff was very friendly and informative. The facility was clean and my overnight was in comfort. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone. A good choice for value when considering other locations nearby

Everything is too small - the rooms, the fitness area, the lobby and breakfast area, parking, you name it. There are many other options in Richmond to stay more comfortably. Updated to look nice but that doesn't make it bigger...

Always stay here while staying in Richmond or going through. I am an older woman and it's comforting to have a truly caring staff who makes my stay so enjoyable. They retain their staff which means the management is excellent to recruit and hold onto these people.

This was a surprise to have such a quite and pleasant stay so close to the airport. This location is clean, quite and very friendly. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The breakfast was good but I stayed more than one day I wish there was a little more variety.

The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to be pleasant and efficient. The hotel is not new, but it is in good repair and very clean. The beds were super comfy. Breakfast was a very good selection including eggs and sausage...not just a continental breakfast. Overall, one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in at this price range. We will be in Richmond monthly and decided on the way home that we will just stay here monthly. It is a very easy commute to downtown and there are a lot of conveniences like grocery stores, gas, and food in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

Very good hotel, comfortable bed, convenient to the airport. The best part is that they start "cold" breakfast at 4:00 am, "hot" breakfast at 6:00 am Coffee is available 24 hours. Nice when you have a very early flight out.

This hotel is near the airport and was nice. We just needed a place for an overnight and this was inexpensive. I was not expecting too much based on the price - about $90 for a King non-smoking room. However, upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised at this hotel. The lobby was clean and there was a free breakfast - mostly continental but there were scrambled eggs, potatoes, and cut up sausage. The room was very large with a closet, desk, chair, king sized bed, mini refrigerator, microwave, and TV. The bathroom was much larger and better than expected for a hotel. The sink was on a corner cabinet with plenty of space. Water pressure was awesome as well. The only drawback was a strong smell of some type - it wasn't a bad smell, just really strong. Maybe a cleaning product, or an air freshener - but it was extremely strong. But that was mostly in the hallway - not so much in the room, and after about 15 minutes it was hardly noticeable unless you went back out into the hallway.

I love this place. I have traveled across the country and this particular Best Western is outstanding, the service was excellent, the food was wonderful and plenty of it, the rooms were so clean, the icing on the cake was the soap dispensers something I haven't seen be for in a hotel.. Pretty decent hotel. Only thing I could find that was a bit dirty was the shower head. They clean the bathroom well, but the shower head has a little crevice that circles it which has pink in it. The rooms have good sized flat screens, the beds are pretty comfortable, and they have free wifi along with a computer room downstairs. Breakfast has lots of variety including waffles, yogurt, and oatmeal with toppings set out to choose from, the usual cereal, bread, and bagels, and hot items including scrambled eggs, potatoes, and what tasted like kielbasa pieces. They have a shuttle to the airport, but it will not pick up from Greyhound. They also have free wifi and a computer room downstairs, along with washers and dryers for $2.25 per load. The staff here is decent, but the lady at the front desk could be a little more forward with info and welcoming. As far as restaurants nearby, the only ones I saw within walking distance were Arby's, Burger King, Waffle House, and Mexico. Overall, nice place to stay for the $88 or so.

Great Place for over night, before or after flight. Rides available to and from airport. Also out to eat rides as needed. Nice breakfast, served early so we could get to our flight. I would stay here again if I have to fly out of Richmond. My granddaughter loved her own big bed.

I noticed a Tripadvisor sticker with a high rating on this hotel and I needed to write a review. I stay here for business ( company books and pays, we have no choice) and I find this place to be dreadful. It's 5 minutes to the airport, which is a good thing. The staff is ok, but tends to be indifferent. The toiletries are in wall mounted dispensers, which I'm happy to see as it keeps a lot of controllable waste to a minimum. The breakfast is there, but personally I'd rather go to one of the two Waffle Houses that are a short walk(and shorter drive) away. The first thing you notice as you walk in is the air freshener. It's not subtle, it pretty much slaps you in the face. It permeates the entire hotel. It's not a pleasant smell either, floral with a mix of a heavy disinfectant smell. As in "What are they trying to cover up?" The decor is tired and if you look closely, you can see flaws everywhere. Lots of things are worn out and dingy. I stayed in three separate rooms over a month once and none of them had outlets that would hold my phone charger without it falling out. The rooms are a bit small, so if you're planning on more than two people, I'd look elsewhere. The beds are OK, but the pillows are mostly flat. If you need a room in this area for one night and can do it cheap, then OK. But even still, I'd look for another option. I'm not expecting perfection, it's an older building with flaws. But I stay in enough hotels to know what I like and I don't care for this place.

been 8 months since last stayed and appreciate the newly expanded breakfast menu--i.e. a hot oatmeal station with great toppings, additional hot items, a yogurt station with delicious toppings and the addition of a child sized waffle..

4th time staying at this property over the last few years. That should say it all. Staff continues to be super friendly and helpful. Clean, safe and quiet. Great, hot breakfast. Overall, just a great place to stay.

The beds were very comfort and the room was clean. There was shampoo, conditioner and shower gel dispensers which I have never seen in any hotel. Breakfast was wonderful. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles with all different types of toppings, fresh baked biscuits and gravy. Very close to restaurants, shopping and attractions.

Hotel was located, not far from the Airport. The accomodations were nice with good working space and a nice comfortable bed. The hotel is located in a decent area near an Arby's, Waffle House, Mexican Restaurant and not far from all the other chain restaurants. The Hotel is very clean and very comfortable. I was surprised that I didn't hear planes flying by every 10 minutes are so. It was a fairly quiet, peaceful stay.

Clean, Professional, Great Breakfast, Quiet, Functional Business Center, Great Staff. Everything you need for a pleasant business trip. Everyone from the airport shuttle driver to the housekeeping staff were excellent in their positions!

This review was balancing between average and poor... While we were on our honeymoon we had to fly from Richmond Airport. This was our (cheapest?) hotel of choice; and it's okay. That's all, the room is okay, across the street there's a burger king (which is awesome in our opinion ;) ); the service was not really nice or customer friendly. But it got the job done... Cool hotel to get on your flight for one night, not much to do in the neighbourhood; okay area to stay in.

I called at more than a month in advance to book a room,asking for a first floor room because of the large amount of business equipment I must bring into my room.My stay was to be for 7 days.My request was not honored,I was given a second floor room.There was no way I could dolly my stuff up the small ramp and then into the cramped elevator,then around a corner through the narrow halls.The room was so small there would be no room for my equipment.There was hardly space between the bed and the desk.The bath was small and this place is OLD! To top it off I am a woman alone and they gave me a door in my room that adjoined the next room,That is a huge safety issue to me.I will NOT stay in that type of room with all my equipment in there.I immediately went to the desk,and canceled my entire stay,but I had to pay for the first night,even though it was only 4o'clock.The desk clerk was rude and very unprofessional.I did not feel safe there,in any way.How this is considered Best Western Plus is beyond me.It is old,worn down,small hallways,small eating area and an almost non existent check in area.This causes me to reconsider my future reservations.This was a very bad experience!

We reserve 2 rooms, for my son and me. Really very clean ,comfortable beds,nice bathroom. Free breakfast, enough food. ,but the eggs and sausage was terrible.., The staff let us ck in early them 3 pm.Very close to the airport and restaurants. They have a suttle bus to the airport ,but we had a rental car.
