« Great Place, Great Location »

Me and my girlfriend stayed here on a mini vacation.(Nov. 13-16th) I read all the great reviews and we decided to give it a shot. Check in was at 3, but when we got there the room was not ready. For the inconvenience, the girl at the front desk(extremely nice, though her name escapes me), gave us our suite at the rate of $109 for the first night. Our room was on the 16th floor, with a great view. Nice size balcony, plenty of room. Great feeling of privacy because there was only 2 other rooms on our floor. Great breakfast buffet. The beach is about a block away, and Walgreens and CVS are right outside the hotel. Dining, shopping, and gambling are all within walking distance. My only complaint is the pool, wish it was bigger and deeper. But the beach is right there, so it's no big deal. I highly recommend this place, when we come back we will definitely stay here!!!

« Noise and sink leaking »

We stayed in room 602 and had construction noise right above us. We had checked in at 2am. The construction noise directly above us started early and by 9 am it was unbearable. The sink had a major issue with any water running directly from the pipe below onto the floor. And soaking items on the shelf. We were only there for 1 night and when explaining this at checkout, the only comment was thank you we will notify maintenance. No apology at all.... We will never stay there again.

    « Quite adequate »

The staff was excellent helpful with directions. My phone was not working at all in my room so they let me make a call from the desk free of charge to the United States. The room was a good size and both queen beds were very comfortable. The showers were hot however my bathroom was not one of the ones renovated yet. The hotel's undergoing renovations there was some noise during the day and some Street noise at night but overall I got a good night's sleep. This location is great close to the beach and lots of restaurants around. CVS and Walgreens right across the street so if you forget anything that's quite convenient. I was impressed with the breakfast it was excellent. I would have given four stars except for the dated room Furnishings and bathroom

    « Great Location »

Even though they are in renovation and expansion mode the staff's efficiency and great attitude made up for it. Located 1 street from the beach, great restaurants and casinos makes it perfect for enjoying the whole day without having to get into a taxi. Pool could be bigger and maybe will be when the expansion is completed. Can't wait to go there again. We also liked their breakfast buffet.

    « Nice but quirky »

The hotel is only about a block or two from the beach, has nice, large rooms, is priced reasonably, and is generally a nice place to stay. But...we had room 901, and it has a full length window in the bathroom - with NO window covering! It was really cumbersome trying to avoid the window and the large mirror opposite the window. We had arrived early, and the rooms were not ready yet. So the staff kindly stored our luggage while we went to the beach and got something to eat. We came back at 3:00 PM when the rooms should have been ready. As we walked up to the front door of the hotel, we noticed our luggage on a cart outside, waiting for a taxi to take them to the airport! The staff thought it was funny; we were glad we got back when we did to save our luggage from going to the airport while we were checking in for a few days stay! The window ledge leaked with the rain that was falling. If you are willing to accept the quirks, it's really a nice place to stay.

« Perfect location in a perfect place »

I liked everything about this hotel. The linen and mattress were excellent. The staff was helpful with directions and ideas of places to see. Many restaurants in the area. The beach was easy to walk, and I loved watching the surfers and playing in the waves. Good breakfast. I've stayed here before, and it is always my first pick.

    « Adequate hotel »

We stayed at the BW Condado for 4 nights post a round trip cruise from San Juan . The check in time is at 3 pm and since our ship arrived 6 am, we arrived at the hotel around 10 ish and got the room around 2:30 pm which is understandable. We hang out around the hotel, explored the area around the hotel while waited for the room. The reception and common areas are clean and modern. Internet is available throughout and more over they have three workstation and printer as well. Our room was in the 8th floor in the north tower, partial ocean view as the parking building of the Marriott blocking the view, I believe rooms on floors 10+ won't have this issue. The room itself was very spacious with the living area separated from the bedroom. Room kept clean by housekeeping. There were also two TVs one in bedroom and the other in the living room. There was a small pantry with microwave , coffee maker and fridge, I only used the fridge. We picked this hotel because of its proximity to beach and center location in Condado , we were very disappointed with the beach as its open ocean and very rough for swimming, and this is not a hotel faults but just a watch out for future travelers. The hotels provides an area with lounges and towels on the beach , around 5 minutes walk from the hotel itself. The breakfast in the hotel is ok, the usual fare of boiled or scrambled eggs, pancakes, cereals , yogurts and fresh fruits. However there are a lot of breakfast options around the hotel that can be explored for reasonable prices as well. The swimming pool in the hotel was small and a construction was going on on parts of its, we haven't used it during our stay as we ended up going to the public beach next to the Hilton Plaza. Overall the location was centralized and the room was comfortable.

« Officially my hotel in PR »

Simply perfect! Just couple steps from the beach, actually you never stop see the water if you walk down the street from the hotel, only takes two minutes or less. They are renewing the rooms, try to book a new suite, it is amazing, full time ocean view, yes, at that moment up from the balcony you realize what close you are from the beach. Don't forget you are on Ashford Avenue, so party calls you, enjoy nightlife. If you like local presence, great food, few drinks, Salsa, Rumba, party, you have to go to La Placita de Santurce, 10 minutes walking distance, this is a MUST DO. Back to the hotel, enjoy that large bed in the separate bedroom, huge bathroom, take a shower, take another look to the beach now with the moon mirroring just in front of you. Breakfast time, included with your booking, basically you have all you need to start the day. I can continue talking about Condado Palm and PR, just come visit, make a reservation, give yourself the opportunity to enjoy it, not leaving yet and you will be thinking on the next trip back to PR. I had the chance to meet Kenidia at the front desk, she is wonderful, thanks to her, I'm pretty sure the rest of the team is great too. Congratulations and thanks to the Manager, great work. Again, officially my Hotel in PR.

    « Remodeling. »

Not a very clean room. It was obvious by pieces of cement laying in the tub. Apparently, no one does a walk through before rooms are occupied. Lot's of remodeling noise. Toilet stopped flushing 3X. They're lucky that I gave them 3 points. I debated.

    « Decent hotel »

Hotel was decent and affordable. Staff were very friendly and helpful!! The hotel has a very good continental breakfast....lots of options available and one of the best continental breakfasts I've seen in my travels! I may have given this hotel a 4 if they weren't having so much trouble with their elevators on first day of our visit! Staff were apologetic and helped people get from floor to floor. Once we finally got our luggage to room, we took the stairs until the elevator got fixed. The situation was fixed by second day of our stay.

    « Enjoyed Our Stay »

We stayed here prior to embarking on a cruise. Located close to the beach and surrounded by bars and restaurants we were happy with the location. The front office staff were efficient, friendly and helpful with our few enquiries about the local area. Our room, although a bit old, was large, clean and functional, housekeeping did a very good job. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The included breakfast was sufficient. There are 2 supermarkets opposite the hotel, and there were always taxis waiting out front. The hotel wi - fi was very good and reliable. We would stay again when we next go to San Juan.

    « Great Customer Service »

I booked this hotel over the phone. They granted the trip advisor discount since I couldnt finish my booking due to internet and data issues. Room was booked 4 hours before the checkin, I was traveling to PR back from a business trip and wanted to spend the night with the fam. For our surprise the room included breakfast which was really good. A lot of variety and everything fresh. Room was clean, partial view to the ocean with a small balcony.

    « It's an ok hotel »

I stayed at this hotel for a weekend attending several business meetings. They are in the process of remodeling some areas of the hotel. My room's bathroom had been remodeled although the carpeting seems old. Dust was an issue. My room was very dusty apparently from construction. Parts of the floor needed moping and it just felt very dusty with construction type of dust. Saturday morning woke up to banging from workers very early. It's not a bad hotel. It's just details. Hosts and other personnel were very nice. I had issues with the food offered during the business meeting (ham sandwiches, don't eat pork) and they were very kind and got be something to snack. Location is great as its right there is Condado close to the beach, bars, restaurants... everything.

    « anniversary celebration »

this hotel is very conveniently situated. the front desk people were very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was just ok. we stayed in a oceanfront suite. except for the bathroom, the room was very nice. bathroom was small and dated, showing signs of wear. however functional. housekeeping services were not the best. made bed and left towels, that's about all. however the room we stayed in was definitely worth the reasonable rate we paid, and would stay again.

« New Friends at Best Western Plus... »

We were looking for a hotel that was near the cruise port and found this hotel that had reasonable prices. We knew when we called that the friendly staff was going to take good care of us. The room was ready for us when we got off the plane and it was big and clean. The balcony was fun with a "peek-a boo" view of the ocean. Loved visiting the beach -- you were able to walk there. If you needed to go any farther they always had a taxi out front. It was also nice to have a good breakfast at the hotel...it was included. The local restaurants that were recommended by the front desk staff were excellent. Try some new dishes . They all welcomed us back after the cruise and even remembered it was our 30th wedding anniversary....We will visit them again. .

« Very Good place to stay »

Great location in Condado, walking distance to great restaurants and many other amenities. People are fantastic and hope once done with renovations it comes out great. I recommend this hotel, less than a block from the beach.

    4
« The right priced hotel in an excellent neighborhood »

Not the Ritz Carlton but not their outrageous prices either! Perfect for a business trip or a family vacation. Centrally located near restaurants, shops and the beach a block away. The rooms may be a little old fashioned but they have everything a traveler should need. Very friendly staff to help you around if needed. A great bar for younger crowds on the ground floor. Reception staff very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast is served from 6:00 am on with a large spread of dishes and drinks. I highly recommend this hotel !

    « It's just okay. »

I have heard stories about other places, so when we arrived, I found the lobby clean and inviting with pleasant staff. We were definitely early and they were only able to take our bags without indication as to when our room would be ready. There seemed to be no system in place to prioritize rooms. I recommend packing a day bag so you can enjoy the beach or pool. The suite was large with a full view of the ocean (and the vacant building on the waterfront). However, the rooms are dated, certainly nothing special. The kitchen had minimal dishes although we were not looking to cook, a microwave, and a full fridge. the bed was a little uncomfortable for my liking. Also, the thermostat is in Celsius, so be familiar if you want to make adjustments. We were too rushed for breakfast, but it looked good as we passed thru the next morning. As others have stated, the location is convenient, but I wonder if it gets nicer as you move down the street.

    « Everything was good! »

Everything was good, the staff, the location, the breakfast and it has a complete gym. I went to Culebra and they kept me my bag during 3 days. I recommend this hotel. Nice people at the front desk, I will come back

    « SAN Juan PR »

Great place to stay, rate is reasonable. Airport security s few minutes ride and fare rate. Close to beach; free beach chair. Pool on site. and close to the down town area. Great staff, view from room, free breakfast. Clean, great AC ??.. you won't regret it. In the heart of downtown you can walk to everywhere. Also great tours Availabile, see front desk.

« we would come back »

hotel has 2 towers, we stayed in the newly renovated north tower, the south tower is still under renovation.. the room was awesome (king suite) very clean. small pool, but we didnt come for the pool. the ocean is one block away or you take the bus down the street to a calm beach before the bridge. the staff was friendly. the free breakfast was just ok. i would rather see scrambled or fried eggs vs hard boiled eggs. this hotel is in a very convenient area to food and shopping and bus routes

    5
    « Comfortable and friendly »

Hotel had everything I needed. Small pool, beach down the block and access to a strip of restaurants and great views! Breakfast was okay-complimentary so I can't expect too much. Very clean room/lobby! 20 min bus ride to Old San Juan!

    « Sufficient enough »

Our family of four stayed for three nights before cruising out of San Juan. The bathroom has been redone and looks good but the AC! If it was off you were cooking, but when it was on, not only did it sound like a jet taking off, but we had to chip the ice off the poor person sleeping beside it... my husband! He took one for the team. The breakfast was suspect. We went at different times yet still usually out of many items or maybe they were never there. Staff was fabulous and you can't beat the location. Bus is right outside, as is the beach and many good restaurants. All in all sufficient for our needs.

    4
    « Week long stay...would come back! »

My husband and I stayed here back in August for our honeymoon. Staff was extremely helpful. Check in was fast and easy...nice young lady at the front desk, can't remember her name right now, but she had pretty dark curly hair. Gonzalo helped us book several outings including a private tour guide named Jonathan, who was amazing! I would highly, HIGHLY RECOMMEND him! He guided us through El Yunque, several caves tours around the island, and even took us off the beaten path with just a small request. Prices for private guides are a little steep, but definitely worth every penny! We stayed in a suite, which was beachfront. Although the beach is literally steps away, I wouldn't say it was beachfront. Breakfast was pretty good, but if you get tired of 'hotel breakfast' there are several restaurants/cafes that are sure to satisfy your cravings. Walgreens and CVS are close by. There is a bus stop across the street, which was very helpful when we went exploring to Old San Juan for souvenirs. The hotel itself was comfortable. Pool is very small... but who goes to the pool when the beach is literally steps away! Reasonably priced for the location. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the hotel itself could use some updates. I would definitely return just for the location, excellent staff, and price!

    4
    « Solid no frills »

No frills. Close to the beach, solid breakfast (I mean it's not fancy but it makes the job done). Clean rooms. Pool is ok. Little but functional gym. It's not "La Concha" sure, but it's half the price (and beyond).

    4
« Good Location for the money »

The hotel had a good location near the beach without having high beachfront prices. I had a car and it was easy to drive to and parking was convienient, just out the back door. The bus stop for San Juan was right across the streed and a short walk away for the return.

    5
    « Vacation »

The staff, room size, location, amenities, and the breakfast were excellent! I would like to thank Carlos the from desk supervisor, Ramon, Francibett, Alexander, and the entire breakfast crew for making our stay a very enjoyable one. The hotel bicycles are complimentary for two hours. The only lows were the pool needs to be cleaned more often due to the sand and the chamber maid would forget to restock simple necessities like Kleenex and toilet paper. One day she even left a roll of the trash liners. I would not hesitate to stay there again and would highly recommend this property to anyone. Thanks to the entire staff.

    5
« Best Hotel in condado »

Steps away from the beach. Conveniently located close to everything. The complimentary breakfast was the best and has a big variety of foods to eat. The staff is the best there is. It has a safe , microwave and small fridge in the room. I will def be staying here every time I visit Puerto Rico.

« Contact manager for best rate »

Our family stayed 7 days in the north tower. There are 2 separate buildings/towers but the north tower rooms are all suites with king bed, pull out couch, full size frig, microwave, kitchenette & dining room. Very spacious. Pros: Condado location, very central, safe area 1 block from beach Great restaurants were steps away Spacious north tour suite Full kitchen meant we could buy frozen dinners at CVS & microwave them Full size frig meant we could keep restaurant leftovers Excellent hot breakfast w/ many tables for seating Free bike rental We had a nice view of ocean from north tower room We got a discounted rate by contacting manager via email to make reservations Concierge desk to book tours to El Yunque, bioluminescence kayak tours, etc Balcony Cons: North tower suites were a little dated but the size of room outweighed this issue Tiny pool on the property was usually occupied LOUD urban & construction noise. Car horns, Jack hammers, etc ******* Would we stay there again! Absolutely! Great value!

  • 1
    « REALLY noisy »

For a hotel that charges obscene pricing, laying in a bed that is more uncomfortable than my college futon, while listening to construction all day is unacceptable. This is NOT relaxing. Listening to the rubble being poured down the chute to the ground below every five minutes is infuriating for how much they charge. They didn't even give me a heads up at the front desk when I checked in. Crappy hotel.

    5
« Excellent stay before and after a cruise »

This hotel stay was such a pleasant surprise! We were given a recently-remodeled suite on the 17th floor - very spacious and beautiful ocean views. We used the complimentary bicycles and took a bicycle ride along the ocean. The beach was a quick one-block walk with use of beach chairs provided. The breakfast was quite plentiful with a good variety of hot and cold foods. We felt especially cared for by Carlos who was quick to help us with information - I accidentally left my tennis shoes during our 2 night stay before a cruise, and when we returned for a one-night stay before our flight out the next day, Carlos brought my shoes out for me that they had held for my return. Alexandria also was a great help - as we had to leave for the airport before the breakfast would be served, Alexandria went to the kitchen and provided us with yogurt and fruit that we could put in our room's refrigerator for the next morning. We even found the Walgreen's across the street to be very handy for some emergency needs. This was an excellent stay for the price.

    4
    « Great value. »

I really liked this hotel, it had a great value and the amenities were awesome. The staff was very helpful and polite. The only thing that tarnished my impression of the hotel was the very aggresive taxi driver that was outside of the hotel. The taxi driver ordered me to move two blocks down the street when the bellboy asked me if I needed a taxi and told him I was waiting for an Uber car. His interaction led to an argument with said taxi driver, and even though he doesn't work for the hotel I was wondering why do they allowed them on their property if they are going to yell at their costumer. The argument left a bad taste in my mouth.

    « Good Condado Hotel »

The hotel is a little older but the staff, location, and amenities make up for it. Would recommend. This will be the first hotel I look to book next time I fly into Puerto Rico, Condado area. Very reasonably priced.

« great experience at the BW Plus Condado Pslm & Suites »

our experience at the BW Plus Condado Palm Inn and Suites in San Juan PR was a very positive one ! great staff , the location by the ocean and close to restaurants , shops , old san juan and clubs makes it the perfect place to stay ! will be back soon , I highly recommend the BW PLUS CONDADO PALM INN & SUITES in San Juan , Puerto Rico

    3
« Great location and price »

In the heart of Condado is the Best Western. So close to the beach and all the shops and restaurants of Condado. The price of the hotel was very reasonable especially for where it is. The price fills up the hotel, so book early even week days. It is an average Best Western, towels and linens weren't the best, towels were partially stained. The building was showing its age a bit. The view was great and the pool looked nice although we did not use it. The breakfast that was included we passed on as well. Both the pool and the breakfast were overtaken by the masses which made it less appealing.

    « Sept 2016 »

Staff was very nice. Arrived for one night stay prior to cruise. Hotel was not what we expected. Paid $198 for 1 night, 2 people. Room was very small and very outdated. Could use some major renovations. Breakfast was not good. Would not recommend this hotel.

    5
« Excellent place to stay »

Perfect for Business travelers needing a nice location, well equipped, fair rate, walking distance to restaurants, Walgreens & touristic zone. Close enough to Old San Juan and Condado main restaurants. Not fun for kids or families unless you just stay to sleep having other plans for the day.

    5
    « great view »

The room we had was a clean and a large suite. The room was quite and the view from the deck was great of the ocean and the busy street below. The deck had 2 chairs and table on it. This trip was a 2 night stay before a cruise.

Location was nice, lots of shops and places to eat. I went for business so I did not get to enjoy any of that. Rooms were OK, but room not appropriate for business travel, very noisy all day and nigth in front tof street and walgreens that had trucks delivering merchandise at early AM hours (3:00 am). desk small and in front of the huge AC console.

« Honeymoon Week in Puerto Rico »

The Best Western Condado Palm Inn and Suites was a perfectly centralize location to spend a week in Puerto Rico. The customer service was great with no faults. For those that only need the basic amenities, this hotel is the place to go. They offer complimentary chairs and towels on the beach and umbrellas are only $10. Taxi service is readily available at all times. Breakfast was delicious every morning. I'd stay there again and recommend it to everyone staying in. The condado bay area.

    3
« Vacation in San Juan »

A bit overpriced I would say. But overall not too bad of a choice. First time in Puerto Rico. Absolutely hate the fact that VERY FEW hotels offer free parking. This is something i am not used to. Otherwise, the room was not too bad tho some repair is needed.

« Great value and location »

When looking for a hotel I was torn between going with the Marriott Stellaris or this place. Usually when traveling I really prefer 4 star hotels or higher. With that said this hotel was a pleasant surprise. My family and I stayed in the king suite with partial ocean view. The partial ocean view was actually very nice and the balcony was large! The room was also very spacious! It honestly could have fit the king bed in the bedroom as well as two double beds in the living area and they could have just removed the pull out couch. the pull out couch was not comfortable at all. I could feel the springs in it and it was very hard to sleep through the night. The king suite had a dining table, a kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator and sink. The bathroom had a separate door from the toilet and shower than the vanity which was great for privacy when several people were getting dressed for the day. The complimentary breakfast was great! I enjoyed the selection of food! I'm vegetarian and they had many items for me. My cousins loved the potatoes, I enjoyed the eggs, the toast was delicious with the jelly they provide. They provide many other things too. We liked that the pool was open 24 hours with the exception of one hour for cleaning. They also have a kids pool which is nice for people with small children. They have a beach club which provides chairs and towels. Would be nice if umbrella was also included in the beach club but it wasn't over priced for the rental either, just 10.00 for the entire day. The staff was very friendly, the hotel always looked very clean, and the checkin and checkout process was very quick. Would stay again if back in the area.

« decent hotel in center Condado »

We stayed at this hotel from July 23 to July 30, 2016. The hotel is located in the center of Condado ? a noisy place with busy traffic. There is a bus stop at both corners of Condado ave. The hotel's lobby looks nice. The pool is small. The gym is adequate; however, there is a radio in the ceiling that plays 24/7 with no way to turn it off, even if you are alone and don't want to listen. There are towels and drinking water available in the gym. The breakfast area is huge, with enough room for everyone to eat. The front desk can give you towels for the pool and beach. The pool has a convenient shower. Some distance from the beach, beach lounge chairs are available for visitors of the hotel if you show your room key. There are also umbrellas for rent, but it is hard to find shade on the beach regardless. The water temperature in the ocean was warmer than the air. We stayed in room 1104. At check in, we asked for a quiet room. The front desk agent told us that this room is across from the elevator but the elevator is quiet. The elevator itself was quiet but the people who used the elevator were loud, regardless of the time of the night. They screamed and laughed very loudly, especially some children coming in after midnight. My advice is to definitely avoid any rooms near the elevator. The room has a balcony. The furniture in the room is old, cracked, and overused. The bathroom looks like a cheap motel, except that a cheap motel costs much less per night. The walls have old, cracked paint, with dim lighting and a small mirror. The bathroom tub is slippery; no bathtub mats are provided. The beds are good. The housekeeping service is good everywhere. We checked into this room on Saturday. On Tuesday, the hotel started remodeling room 1105, which shares an adjoining wall with room 1104. The walls have no sound insulation and it felt like everything was being done in our room. We had a terrible time with this remodeling. There were all kind of noises like knocking, saws cutting, squeaking, grinding, and the roar of a motorcycle, all day long. We were glad that our stay ended on Saturday and we were ready to move to another hotel. We didn't complain because they could have offered to relocate us, but relocation is usually inconvenient. We could only escape this noise by going away for the entire day. The weather was hot and humid and to stay outside for a long time was not much fun. The price per night is the same with these noises and without. Breakfast had an outstanding service. The front desk provided excellent service, ready to help us with any problem. The tour corner agents Ms. Natalia and Mr. Angel helped us with orientation in the city and with finding different places. At check out, guest service agent Ms. Alexandra asked us how it was, and after our explanation about our terrible experience, Ms. Alexandra gave as service discount that reduced our aggravation. In all, if we were to go back to the same area, we would stay at this hotel again with all of the nice services and wonderful location. Also, we may recommend this hotel to our friends, keeping in mind our experiences.

« Best buy for your buck! »

This hotel is very clean, the staff are very helpful and always have a smile on their faces. The location of the hotel puts you in the middle of everything, including two blocks from the beach. The free breakfast was also a plus, it helped us save and have more money to enjoy our vacation. We will definitely be returning to this hotel.

« Lobby does not match Guest Room Experience »

Lobby cleanliness/appearance and Staff were great, very attentive and approachable. Solved any issues we had. Lobby design and layout was great and clean. Main Guest Room Issue was cleanliness and A/C. Found a Chicken Bone in the Bathroom floor on the first night and the Guest Room entry carpet had traffic stain. The A/C vent location is very close to the bed so it will hit you on your face or on your back all night. We placed a small towel with a chair in front of the AC to deviate the air flow to be able to sleep. The AC is also a little tricky to set the Temperature, it seemed to reset back to a very cold setting regardless of what temperature setting we wanted. We had 2 rooms and both had the same AC issue. Bathroom handles and shower valve seemed old and hard to set water temperature bc of how old they were. Tub/Shower/Lavatory seemed old and many attempts to repair walls/caulking/paint shows. Location of the hotel 2 block away from the beach, surrounded by all kinds of restaurants, night life, close to the airport and pharmacy, seem to make all of these issues not as important. Be careful with your step inside an out of the hotel, it has several ramps and slippery surfaces in the exterior and interior common areas and a steep slope entry to the hotel, something to consider if traveling with eldery persons.

    « Clean Needs Updating! »

So I checked in on August 26th. I just stayed a night before my cruise. Lobby is beautiful updated however you step off the elevator and your in circa 1980) (dissapointed) and the suite we were upgraded too felt the same. The area surrounding the hotel is aged a lot of vacant stores/ properties ( hard economic times I guess) (Just a FYI FOR YOU NIT PICKERS). Homeless everywhere on the side walks. There is construction going on downstairs at some restaurant next to the hotel and a strong urine odor outside the property. Breakfast was ok. The staff was helpful friendly and attentive. The idea of the key cards activating your access to your floor when you step on the elevator is great. The area has restaurants in walking distance and souvenir shops, starbucks. Cvs & Walgreens are right across the street (convenient). The neighborhood seems to come alive at night with people frequenting the restaurants. But I'm just disappointed with my choice. The pictures are deceiving the place is outdated and our room smelled moldy stuffy.

    « Great stay!! »

This place was amazing!! Nice clean suite, nice staff & a beautiful city view. Dispite some of the iffy reviews I read about this place, we thought it was great. Very convenient location. Two pharmacies across the street, many restaurants within walking distance. Beach about a block away. Beautiful!! Very pleased with our stay!!! Would stay again and highly recommend.

« Meh. Not really a "resort." Good location. »

Although billed as an urban resort, the amenities here are fairly anemic. The pool is very small, although open 24 hrs. Parking is guest-paid, which is a drag. The breakfast is so-so, with terrible coffee. The bathrooms weren't as clean as you'd probably expect. However, the bed was comfy and the location was really superb. We also liked the free bike "rental" and the business center where we could print our tickets for free.

    « Fantastic Stay! »

Had a fantastic time staying at this hotel, traveled from Australia and had a great time! The staff at check in and check out were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and tidy and parking was easy. Loved being so close to everything! My partner and I had a great time, the pool was nice and the buffet breakfast was great. Will definitely stay again. Highly recommend the hotel <3

« Great Last Minute Pick »

Had to book a hotel at the last minute and am so glad I chose this one. Location great, near restaurants, shops, casino and beach. Nice pool that was cleaned daily. Breakfast buffet also lovely, kept well stocked and clean. Room clean with fridge and microwave. Staff excellent; pleasant, friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again.

    « Saved the Day »

We were going to stay at a bed and breakfast up the block, but they messed up our reservation and this hotel saved our vacation. This place is a great value in a great part of Condado. Right by the beach, next to a Starbucks. Walking distance from the best spots in Condado. The staff was very helpful and kind. Clean rooms. Breakfast isn't great but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Not a luxury hotel, but it gets the job done.

The breakfast was a perfect way to kick start our day. The rooms were nice and the staff were very friendly. The pool provided a nice swim in the afternoon. Overall everything was great and I will definitely be staying at this hotel again.

« Perfect location to explore San Juan »

I really enjoyed this hotel....I had an ocean facing suite, this is the only way to go if staying here. The room was large and the AC was perfect. It was awesome waking up with a beautiful view of the Beach from the balcony each day. The breakfast was perfect, with hot and cold choices...the pool was smallish but refreshing after a long walk in Condado. The staff are all very professional and friendly. There are a lot of changes going on in Condado, for the good, and can't wait to come back and stay here again..Thanks to all the employees at BW Palm for a great experience.....

The hotel is excellent for business trip. The beach is nearby. It has a good location. This close to many places to eat and walk. It also has the Old San Juan to minutes for sightseeing. Excellent breakfast and the tranquility.

« Great value on Condado »

I stayed for 6 nights on a recent work/leisure trip to San Juan. It's very convenient for walking to the many shops and restaurants on Condado and close enough to the highway to not get stuck in the tourist traffic every evening. My room was older but very clean and had its own microwave and mini fridge. It also had a programmable thermostat so I could set the AC to get the room to a nice temperature when I arrived each evening. The parking lot is just behind the hotel but can get very full on weekend nights with the club/restaurant traffic. Breakfast is free but limited so I ate at a few places nearby. While not directly on the beach, there is public access 2 blocks away. Overall a great value!

    « Great »

Great location and great room it can do for minor upgrades but other than that it was perfect. Staff was so nice and friendly. We stayed on the 7th floor and had the partial ocean view which was great you get a great view. When I come back I will be staying here again :)

« Great precruise and postcruise accommodations! »

We stayed here before and after our family reunion cruise with 10 family members. The hotel is clean, affordable and located in a good area. There are nice restaurants close by. If you need last minute provisions, both CVS and Walgreens are across the street. I suggest you request a room on an upper floor. There is noise from the street late at night. I highly recommend this Best Western!

    5
    « Great location »

Great location, one block from beach, across CVS, safe area to walk around, plenty of restaurants. You can borrow free bikes, fun ride to old San Juan. Buses around the corner to go anywhere ( old SJ, Isla Verde, airport...), make sure you have coins, they don't take bills. Good wifi, breakfast, decent size room. Great for the price.

    « Bestwestern review »

Over all stay and Best western was good. Breakfast service was nice, location is excellent. Walgreens and CVS pharmacy just across the street. Beach is just one Block away. North tower has rooms facing ocean. Getting to Old San Jaun was easy from hotel.

« Great hotel and costumer service. »

I stay at Best western 6 nights and the manager Carlos A. Camacho was a super person, he went and upgrade my room at no charge. He went above his duty to make my stay super. The room was fantastic. The location was closed to every place you can think to visit, even the old San Juan is like 10 Minutes. The breakfast was super good, and you can't beat that is free too. The employee were super nice and helpful. I used to live in Ponce and decide to stay in El Condado and don't regret it staying in The Best western.

    4
« Good location and comfortable rooms »

The hotel is well located, near the beach and some nice restaurants. It is close to some of the main attractions in San Juan, such as El Morro, Fuerte San Cristobal and Old San Juan. The hotel is nice, clean and the rooms are quite comfortable. Breakfast can be improved, but it's ok. Be aware, that the hotel does not have a shuttle service to the airport.

My family and I stayed here for 6 days. We loved it, the pool is open 24 hours, the rooms were clean, a bot breakfast with many choices the location is awesome. 1 block from the beach and steps away from restaurants, shopping, casinos, starbucks, next to a 24 hour walgreens and cvs. I will be returning with my family the next time we visit PR.

    « Perfect location »

This hotel is perfectly situated at the Ashford Avenue. Right across Wallgreens and CVS farmacy. Rooms are nice spacious and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. In my room I had a sliding toilet door instead of a regular door. Very inconvenient as it can't be locked. To top things off: there was this little cockroach in the room. I killed it nasty bug.

    « Condado Palm Inn »

Very affordable stay right in the mix of Condado, Puerto Rico. Accessible to fine dining and night life and high end shopping. The room is nice itself, but the bathroom is very tiny and need some attention to detail or better quality control when maintenance upgrades are done. Bathroom sink pipers are exposed and faucet was loose, paint splatters noticed on the tub.Air Conditioning was not very strong. But for the value of price and location, I guess there has to be a sacrifice here and there.

    « Excellent Location »

Great location in Condado, just one block away from the beach and convenient stores. The front desk staff was very friendly and I was able to check in earlier than I expected. The room was clean and comfortable, it looks like they were recently renovated. The complementary breakfast was definitely a plus, great selection. I would stay here again in my next visit.

    4
    « Location, location, location »

The pros: The best part about this hotel is the location. It is down the block from condado beach on a main strip where restaurants, bars, and stores are so everything is within walking distance. They serve breakfast daily which suits its purpose. Nothing to rave about but saves money esp for families. ALL Staff was helpful and courteous and premises were kept clean. We are a family of 4 (with teens) and we stayed in a king suite with a full size sofa bed and a twin size blow up mattress with partial ocean view. We stayed 10 days and it was comfortable and roomy. The cons: pool was on the smaller side. The hotel is an older hotel so there are some areas (hallways, parking area, misc) that can be remodeled. I would come back.

    4
    « Very Good Hotel »

excellent location, many many near amenities, super room comfort, huge breakfast. Pool kind of small, but good. Attention very good and facilities. The internet worked so good from the room. Across the street was the beautiful beach.

Wanted to surprise my husband for his birthday so I thought of Puerto Rico I saw the reviews for the Western and I was on the fence I'm so happy that I chose the hote..l five star baby...booked a Suite on the 9 th floor..very beautiful. I reached out to Henry the manager and he convinced me to book with him.. Henry thank you so much . Yes the bathroom is small but the shower is awesome..the plumbing is state of the art..the sink very modern.. So what if the bathroom is small? My hubby 6 4 and he had no problems...he loved it..yes if you know what you're doing you can make love in the bathroom... Location, location location..Walgreens across the street n CVS at end of building...bus stop about 1 minute or less from hotel to ride the bus .75 cents..pick up free shuttle in Old San Juan... Beach 1 minute walk or less..awesome... Henry thanks again.. Breakfast buffet was great especially the oatmeal...not a oatmeal fan but they cooked it in such a way I became addicted

    « Do Over! »

This review is an update to my original. When I received my room on arrival July 23, 2016 I new I wouldn't be able to stay in it. As It reeked of mildew. I immediately complained and heard nothing back. I checked again yesterday and was told to recheck this morning. I then encountered Kenidia who was at the front desk. And just like that new room within 2 hours. She was fabulously courteous. What a saviour for this hotel.

This location has the most helpful staff, and coffee is wonderful. Location is great and is close to Walgreens and CVS and major fake Puerto Rican Cuisines. Also, crime free area and close to the beach.

« Comfortable, Friendly, Great Location »

I had another great stay at this Best Western location. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The staff at this location is very familiar with the Condado area and can be very helpful when it comes to places to visit for those who are new to the lovely island of Puerto Rico. The check in process was very quick. I walked into a very clean room. The only downside I had was how cold the room was when I walked in. Other than that, everything was clean from the bed to the sink area and bathroom. The balcony I had offered a lovely view. This property also has a great location. Almost everything is within walking distance. From food to toiletries (walgreens & cvs) to the beautiful beach. I will be staying here again!

    « Mini vacation. »

I treated myself and my cousin, her husband and 10 yr old child to a mini vacation for a 4 night stay. The location was important, as was parking and a pool. Free breakfast saved us about $180 dollars for the four days we were there. Hot coffee and tea was available 24 hrs a day and the pool was open 24 hrs also. My guests used the gym and were delighted with it. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance as well as high end stores. I am not a casino person and neither are my cousins but we did enjoy the elegant lobbies of the Vanderbilt, Marriott and La Concha Hotels.

    « Centrally located »

Our room was basic but comfortable and clean. Staff were kind and helpful. Great breakfast with many choices. Nice gym. Good for a younger crowd since it is close to nice clubs, the beach and restaurants.

    « Towels & Toilet paper included?!?!? »

We finished up our honeymoon at the Best Western Plus Condado, which included 4 nights. Pros: Centrally located near beach, food and 2 drug stores incase you forgot something. Free Continental breakfast to conserve $$ to spend on a taxi ($15 each way to old San Juan). Located near Condado Lagoon, good place to spend the day, go swimming, or paddle boarding. Elevator works. The housekeeping leaves their supply closet open every morning, so you can get more towels, or toilet paper and not have to wait for more that aren't coming. Plenty of tissues left in bathroom. The balcony spacious with 2 chairs and a table to watch traffic that isn't moving due to construction. There was a naked old lady every morning on her bacony of an adjacent hotel with nothing but her bra and diapor watching traffic, that's free of charge in Puerto Rico. Cons: small bathroom is small. Sink is not level, slants toward you. No plug for the tub, so I used a wet wash cloth. Bed is extremely hard. We ran out of toilet paper twice, how a 1/2 roll was going to last us 4 days I have no idea. Only allowed 2 towels at a time, we repeatedly asked front desk for more towels that never came. Ran out of clean towels at pool all 4 days. Housekeeping didn't vacuum any time, nor would they replace our coffee cups.

    4
« Excellent Value and Location »

The hotel staff was extremely nice and accommodating, one block from the beach, no onsite restaurant (just a bar) but restaurants and shops all within close walking distance, breakfast was ok but not much of a variety of items, pool area was small but nice, rooms were quiet at night. Would definitely stay there again.

    3
    « Best Staff Ever »

I would stay here again because the staff is GREAT.. However the floors/ rooms could use a little work because they smell stale. Everything would could possible want is centered around the location of this hotel so the location is perfect.

    5
« Great place to stay »

They say don't judge a book by its cover and this is so true. Although the hotel doesn't look like much from the outside the inside is a different story. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free breakfast (bonus) and although they do offer a variety of food it is the same everyday but considering it was included and was free who am I to complain? The rooms were spacious and clean. I had a terrace that overlooked the pool. City view not much to look at but the fact that I was able to go outside without leaving the room was a great feeling (I had small kids with me) the pool although pretty small was clean. Located to lots of convenient places to eat and a CVS. the beach is located right down the block (less than 2 min away. Everything is all within walking distance which was great since I don't drive. Would definitely stay here again.

    5
« Great hotel option in Condado »

Great Location - just blocks from a beautiful beach and tons of great dining options. It is on a lively street, so the front rooms are a little noisy - but it was happy Puerto Rican noise. The hotel staff was excellent, always friendly and helpful. They watched out bags while we went sight seeing before and after checking in and out. Complimentary breakfast was plentiful and varied, and was served in a spacious breakfast room. No hot tub, oh well.

    4
« Great location and quality for the money »

The hotel is located next to a Walgreens, two blocks from the beach and about two mile from downtown San Juan. The area is quiet with some bars within walking distance. Walking on the beach near the hotel is not easy as many high end hotels are located directly on the beach and have blocked off some of the sandy areas.

    « Surprisingly nice!!! »

I booked this hotel at the last minute because of the price, location and the positive reviews and I'm happy to say that it lived up to them. It was very clean, accessible to everything you could need, very friendly and helpful staff, a hearty bfast buffet and a 1 minute walk to the beach. My only complaint is that the bathroom was very tiny. Overall a great stay!

« Good Value, Excellent Hi Speed Internet »

Overall, we had a pleasant stay here. There were a couple of minor issues, but nothing that interfered with the enjoyment of our stay. When we reported we thought we left our safe open and for no one to service our room, they quickly put a do not disturb sign on our door and complied with our request. We really appreciated this. Very diligent and honest staff who take pride in their jobs.

« Very good location and price »

I stayed in the south tower with my husband for two nights. Positives: The hotel is nearby several dining places, as well as stores. The complimentary breakfast is very good and our room was very clean. The decoration was pleasant. The hotel has a pool for adults, a pool for kids, computer stations and printers and a fitness room. The check in process was quick and simple, the employees were very friendly and corteous. Negatives: Our room was on the west side. In this side you can hear all the noises in the street which will not allow for a good sleep since in the Condado area, there is traffic and people all the time. The building is a little old and it shows in the defects of the ceiling and some walls. The bathtub showed a little wear. Rooms in the west side are noisy, the east side will have a view of the parking lot but maybe there will be less noise. North side in north tower may provide sea view.

    « Great Service »

We had a great stay ! The hotel staff was awesome, very friendly and accommodating. My fiancé has diabetes and our refrigerator was not working they sent maintenance right away. We had to move roo.s due to the electric outlet not working. They moved our stuff for us to a different room. We attended happy hour and the bar tender Pablo Budet was great. He offered to remake our drinks with no hesitation. He even entertained my fiancé with his knowledge of sports. Very warm personality. We will return again.

    « Capital City Bonanza »

Stayed in BW for 5 nights on a combination soccer trip and sight seeing journey. For the money you couldn't really ask for more. Me and my 2 kids had a suite on the 18th floor, which had a king sized bed and a queen sleep sofa, and the room was quite large, had a small kitchen and nice sized sitting area for eating. The hotel itself is one block from beach, and amenities include: free breakfast ( excellent), pool, and exercise room. The staff was very accommodating and bottom line folks, you cant do much better than this hotel when you add up the location, price and amenities. I highly recommend.

    3
« Good for the price »

We got a suite to separate us from our toddler. There is an open entrance between the living room and bedroom, so the suite was kind of pointless. However, our Partial Ocean View suite might have been an upgrade, since it was facing the ocean; the only obstructions were building since the hotel is a block from the beach. The pool is small but there is a relatively large kiddie pool. It was mostly clean; the tub needed to be resurfaced so it look nasty, but it wasn't really dirty. The toilet tank was leaking when we got there but it was quickly resolved. All in all, it was worth the money; The Marriott across the street right on the beach would have been nicer but it was 2.5x the price. Seemed they were understaffed at times. Almost everyone but the housekeeping staff spoke both English and Spanish, but obviously it helps if you know Spanish on the island. There are a many restaurants to choose from in walking distance and a Starbucks around the corner. The front desk staff recommended a few places to eat in the area (Orozco) and 20 minutes away (Kiosks in Piñones) and we went to them a few times. The hotel has no parking, but there is parking right behind the hotel with direct access for $16/day.

    4
« Staff make us felt like family »

We arrived in our car and the staff quickly helped us with our luggage. The check in process was very fast. The front desk personnel were always very friendly with a smile on their faces. The whole weekend was great and we felt like everybody treated us like family.

« Courtesy, prompt service and reliability are their hallmarks. »

The manager was most helpful before we went there via emails. The staff were some of the best I've met in hotels anywhere! Courtesy and prompt service are their hallmarks. We really enjoyed our stay there; for the most part. Even the bar staff was exceptional in their service and advice.

    1
« So-so at best, and they lie to you about taxes, fees, and tariffs when you book with them »

The suite was comfortable, though awkwardly laid out; we used both packets of regular coffee, didn't use the decaf, so for some reason housekeeping replaced the regular coffee, and added two more packages of decaf. My biggest complaint is that I was lied to outright when making the reservation, confirming 3 separate times in the conversation that the total for the 3-night stay was inclusive of all taxes, fees, and tariffs. Three times I was assured that the rate and total they quoted me at the time I made the reservation was complete--in total. Then, sure enough, upon viewing the receipt that they sent me at 4 a.m. the day of check out, there were $30 in additional charges added as a 'tariff,' solidifying their reputation to me as liars.

    « Great budget hotel »

My boyfriend and I stayed for four nights at this hotel. We could not have asked for a bit of a better location. Our hotel room was clean and spacious. We loved having a mini fridge and microwave in our room. Happy hour at the bar was wonderful. We took advantage of the beach club and use chairs and towels at condado beach. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We did not have any issues with bugs or leaking showers as the previous reviewer had mentioned. It was the perfect place to fit in our budget. Would recommend to friends.

    « Horrible l »

This is a low budget hotel. Our shower was broken and leaked all over the bathroom floor. There was mold in our closet. Our balcony door did not close completely and we found three huge roaches in our room. I would not recommend this hotel. Pay more and stay at a better place.

    « Pre Cruise Stay »

Stayed at the Best Western Plus Condado Palm for one night before our cruise. We chose to stay here because it is a block from the beach and about 10 minutes from the cruise terminal. Old San Juan is just a short cab or bus ride away. The front desk staff- although busy - was pleasant and accommodating. While not a luxury hotel- it certainly met our needs .The lobby is big and bright- with a nice tropical fish tank in it.The room was big and clean. The shower in the bathroom showed small signs of age or wear- but it was not awful. Breakfast was included and consisted of hot items like scrambled eggs and bacon and as well as cereal, yogurt , fruit, etc. There is a Walgreens and a CVS right across the street. All in all the hotel was a good value.

« Amazing Anniversary Stay and Wonderful Staff »

First I was hesitating in booking this hotel for our anniversary but I decided to go ahead and do it. I made the right choice and we enjoyed every minute of our stay here. From amazing staff to the tasty breakfast that we had every morning. We were greeted with a warm smile by Anthony of the front desk. Since we were on our anniversary he upgraded us to a suite and that made our stay even better. Short walk from the beach and a lot of restaurants to dine in. Definitely coming back in a future trip to this hotel and would recommend.

    « Wonderful Experience »

I had an awful experience with a vacation rental the day I arrived in PR. I called Best Western and spoke to Jihan. Briefly explained my situation, she was very sweet, gave me prices and I let her know I would call back after asking the property manager (at the vacation rental) to give me my money back. After a couple of hours of frustration and absurd negotiation she agreed. I immediately called Jihan, she told me she had actually put a room on hold for when I called back and gave me even better rates. To my surprise, when I checked in, I was informed that my parking was taken care of. My original stay was for 7 nights, I ended up extending my trip a couple more days. I did not want to leave. Everyone on their staff was very attentive and courteous. I will definitely be going back.

« More than expected for one night stay »

It is not a luxury hotel not too big but very nice and cozy. Everything was very clean. The rooms are large, comfortable and fully equipped. Extremely comfortable beds and pillows. Service and attention of the staff was excellent. There are several stores and good restaurants close to the hotel. Just one word: Excellent!!!

    « One night »

Hotel located within 10 to 20 minutes of attractions in San Juan and to airport. Good restaurants available within walking distance along with night life. Hotel has seen recent renovation as is clean and neat inside. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was quite nice. Keep in mind that Puerto Rico is suffering a lot worse from the economic down turn than we here on the mainland. If I were rating this hotel in comparison to the 3 star Best Westerns I have stayed at I would say it exceeds them. Especially when it comes to the helpfulness of the staff. My wife and i found everyone that we encountered to be friendly and eager to help.

« Good location and helpful staff, ask for the North tower »

We arrived during a heavy rain storm and on entering our room in the South tower on the 11th floor we could see rain coming through the wall by the air conditioning unit. On telling the hotel staff we were moved to a different room 1 floor above which had exactly the same problem. This time we were upgraded by way of an apology to a suite in the North tower which was much nicer. We returned to the hotel towards the end of our trip for a further night and had a normal room in the north tower which again was nice. It seemed to me that the South tower is in need of some refurbishment so if you're booking is request the North tower. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice available. Take advantage of the happy hour in the bar 6pm-8pm too. Location is also very good. Right next to a 24hour store and 100 meters from the beech. All the staff we helpful but Henry who sorted out the initial issues with our room couldn't have been more apologetic and helpful.

« You won't be sorry if you stay here! »

We just returned from staying at the Condado Palm for 24 nights. Before we left, we made reservations for a return visit in February and can't wait to go back. As with any organization, the person at the top sets the tone for the entire operation. Mr. Henry Neumann is the hotel manager and is one impressive gentleman. He has hired staff that are very upbeat and eager to assist the hotel guests. They are smiling and polite and assure you if you need anything to get back to them. ("Francis" at the front desk and Raymond, the person responsible for keeping the pool area and lobby, etc. clean, stand out. If I knew the names of the others, I'd mention them too.) The free breakfast would please anyone. There are many tasty choices from cereals to sausage and scrambled eggs to fresh fruit and more. The rooms are clean and attractive. Across the street is a bus stop. The bus fare to Old San Juan is 75 cents. (Busses do come spasmodically, so leave enough time for what may or may not be a bit of a wait.) Once you arrive at the bus station in Old San Juan, a half block away you can catch free trolleys to the forts, waterfront, and other sites. Plenty of restaurants to chose from near the Hotel. We particularly enjoyed Restaurant Orozcos (on Ashford near Walgreens. Look for the large white awnings.) Authentic, really good Puerto Rican food and reasonable. The Chinese restaurant across from Walgreens also very good.I assure you, you'll feel quite comfortable at the Palm Inn and won'[t have spent a fortune to be treated as first class guests.

« Needs updating but OK for budget hotel »

We were staying in San Juan as we were cruising from there and decided to spend a few days before the cruise. When deciding where to stay I was torn between Old San Juan and Condado and decided to go with Condado (to be near the beach). I researched hotels in Condado and Best Western seemed to be in a good location and was a good price. We had a Partial View suite and it was a good sized room, although it is badly in need of updating. Room wasn't ever really cleaned properly, beds were made and bags of rubbish removed but the same bit of crumbs remained on the carpet for the 3 days we were there. The hotel offers a free breakfast, it was fine for what it was. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a Walgreens and CVS across the road so that was great. I would recommend you stay at this hotel if you are on a budget but if you are travelling to San Juan stay in Old San Juan - Condado did not have much in it and the Old Town as fabulous.

    « We had a great stay!! »

This hotel is in a perfect location in San Juan, without the big price! We had a great stay. The staff was super friendly and Alexandria took good care of us at the bar!! I would definitely stay here again. They also provide free breakfast everyday.

« Highly recommend this hotel »

We stayed here for a week on a business/familiy trip with 2 children. We changed to the Best Western Plus Condado Palms at the last minute as we wanted to be in a more central location near the beach and restaurants. We were so glad we did! The staff and management were very accommodating, the breakfasts were substantial and there was something for everyone. I can only find a few things to complain about - could have been more fruit options at breakfast, the pool wasn't too big, and the room could be more updated - but these were minimal in contrast to the excellent customer service and location. Really made a difference for us on our stay. Everything we asked for was taken care of. Thank you for making our stay so easy and fun. We really appreciate it!

    « Great experience »

If you are on a budget, this hotel is a great value. The hotel has a wonderful staff, great facilities for the price, near the beach, etc. A special thank you to Alexandra, Kenidia and Normari. They went above and beyond to make our birthday vacation a wonderful time! You won't be disappointed.

« Great place for the money »

1 Block from the Atlantic Ocean. 2 blocks to the Beach club. Easy walking distance to tons of restaurants. Tours are available from this hotel. There is taxi service to and from this hotel to the airport. You can catch a bus to Old San Juan just a half a black away. Great comfortable beds and extremely clean rooms! Ask for a room not near Condado Avenue if you're a light sleeper, because the street is extremely busy all night on weekends. I'd stay here again.

    « Senior Prom stay »

My son Senior Prom was at San Juan, we pickup this offer from Expedia, honestly I was thinking that is a average hotel but when arrive we saw good quality staff, very nice room, and good breakfast, I just enjoy my stay, they are very flexible with hotel rules.

    « Amazing Place! »

After having a horrible stay at a different hotel, this hotel was a life saver - Kenidia mainly! She truly saved our trip. While everyone at the hotel was very sweet and helpful, Kenidia was our go-to person. She definitely knows Puerto Rico and gave us AMAZING advice on where to go, what to eat, what to do. She made our trip a million times better. (THANK YOU!!!) The hotel was also wonderful. The rooms are what you would expect, clean with a mini fridge and microwave. Overall, our stay was wonderful! We will definitely stay here again in future trips to San Juan.

    « Family visit »

Great view and room. Nice breakfest and the employee's are very nice. Hope to come again. Enjoy the night life near the hotel and the pool is very good for the children. Hotel lobby is very clean and the gym is excellent.

« great location, good atmosphere, great service! »

The staff is very helpful, polite and efficient, specially Yamilex in front desk, always with a smile on her face, did our check-in in a few minutes for us to start having fun right away! The pool is open 24-hours, the bar had a great atmosphere. Overall great experience! Will be coming back for sure!

    4
    « Comfortable, great location »

It's walking distance to many places, e.g. restaurants, grocery store, Walgreens/CVS right across the street. The hotel provides complimentary beach chairs on Condado beach about a 3-5 min walk away, the breakfast was more than a basic continental (eggs, meat, bread, pastries, coffee, juices), and the pool is a nice option too. The bathroom was outdated, but the room was fine and while the balcony was ok, I'd ask for a room on a higher floor (mine was on 2).

    4
« North Tower is the side to be on »

This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations, I honestly didnt expect much, but we got it all. The breakfast was awesome, and served with fresh guava(and other) pastries every morning. Our AC leaked a few times, and they asked if we would like to move our room but we declined since we were comfortable (they fixed it quickly every time). The room smelled really fresh, unlike a lot of hotels I have been to. I will be staying here again next time I come to Puerto Rico, the staff was super friendly too!

    5
    « Great location »

Located at the heart of condado you have everything on walking distance. Theres a restaurand across the street called buenos ayres that is amazing if you like steaks thats your place. Also theres a walgreens across the street as well. We booked the suite and is very spacious it even have a full kitchen! The staff is great and they really have a continental breakfast included. Rooms are very clean. I include a picture from our view on the balcony.

    3
« Amazing view but needs fixing »

I seperated it for memorial day weekend decided to upgrade it to an ocean view suite must I say you should upgrade its not as expensive as I thought. There were things I enjoyed but things they need to fix.I left a day early after I was supposed to stay a day more but the air conditioning in our room was not working very well we reported it but the technichian said thats how it worked it was just cool and at night it was getting too hot the bed was hard and the sofa bed had the springs hurting your back, the pool was warm but the water was cloudy and dirty. The best was the view, the breakfast, and how close it was to San Juan.Don't know if I would stay again.

« Pablo in the bar was the best »

The bartender Pablo was an absolute gem. He made the best grey goose dirty martini and a sangraii mix for my friend. He was nice and pleasant and offered to get her a wheelchair when she got too tipsy :) the hotel was nice all in all but our experience that night at the bar was awesome.

    « Better than expected it's a YES !!!!! »

Pleasantly surprised with this lovely hotel . Good rooms with bathtubs . Breakfast is ample and decent a really good choice . The staff are very helpful friendly and polite . We've had a wonderful stay here and have now re booked to return next week after our cruise !

    5
« Best bet for the price »

The location doesn't offer an ocean view, but you can clearly see the city of Conrad of. It's 1 block of the main strip, so you don't have far to go to have a good time. Modest accommodations but well worth the price.

    3
« Ok hotel, great location »

This hotel is nice and clean. Rooms are good sized with a tiny balcony (can't fit a chair out there). There is parking available for a fee. The hot breakfast was adequate. The location is great. Right in the middle of downtown area. A couple of blocks from the water.

    « A+ Hotel for Condado »

Great location, clean and spacious rooms, great service and did I say great location? Wow! This is where you want to be in Condado if you're looking for a relaxing vacation. The in-room safes and secure elevators make it even more comfortable. Outstanding and cost-effective hotel that is definitely committed to guest service and attention to detail. Looking forward to going back soon!

« Terrific Experience in Puerto Rico »

During all my trips to Puerto Rico, I selected this hotel for their great location and for the best value for money paid. The staff are very kind and proactive with a great service approach Definitively I recommend this hotel for business or leisure

    5
« Ask for north tower above 7th or 8th floor! »

Parking is costly $15 per day. Breakfast is very good with lot of varieties. Great location for beach goers. The staff are nice. I asked for the ocean view rooms but they only offered partial view in the 5 th floor in the north tower. Ask for north tower above 7th or 8th floor!

    4
« Good cost benefit at this Condado location »

Service perfect, room nice, breakfast provided healthy alternatives, altogether you get a good benefit for your rate. And the Location is ideal, bus stop around the corner, only 20 minutes to Old San Juan or to the Airport by bus. Beach in short Walking distance. Pool area and gym available. Helpful staff at the desk to give you advise on tours or special interest requests, like where to visit a coffee Hacienda.

    4
« Clean, friendly, great location!!! »

I stayed at this location for 4 days! Excellent customer service, clean and great location. I wasn't expecting the BW to be like this. The front desk reps were awesome. There were helpful when asked about places to go around town... The rooms were clean and housekeeping came to clean right away. The only down is that breakfast on one of days wasn't what we thought it would be. Other than that it's centrally located near the beach and shops and restaurants. I'd stay there again!!!

    2
    « No luxury here »

We booked this hotel for one night because we had an early flight from San Juan the following morning and didn't feel it necessary to stay in a resort for a 5:00AM departure. You get what you pay for. The rooms were small, the bathroom door was a sliding thing which offered little privacy and the noise from the street was pretty bad (certainly not their fault.). I will avoid this place in the future

    4
    « Nice place for a pre-cruise stay »

Most of my family stayed here one night prior to our cruise. We got a decent price and I was looking for something in the Condado area. We were somewhat surprised to find it in an area of some run down buildings and less than spectacular beach. I was a little surprised as I had stayed in the Condado area before. But the hotel itself was nice. The building is obviously not new, but our room was fine. It came with coffee maker and microwave, as well as an iron. The breakfast area was spacious with nice variety. It was within walking distance of both restaurants we ate at, which was also nice. I think the best part of the hotel was the staff. They were very helpful and friendly. Our room was not ready when we arrived and I was asked if I would like them to call me when it was ready. I said OK and they called as promised. The next morning when we checked out, two cabs were called for quite promptly. So I found it to be a good value for the money, and a good place for quick pre-cruise stay.

    « Súper! »

Had a great weekend with the kids. When we arrived the cable service was down but wifi was working perfectly. Pool is warm all the time. Breakfast is very good and part of the package. Service is awesome and rates are very good. Lot to do within walking distance

    5
    « A true gem »

I booked this hotel after I read the reviews and After a four night stay I was not disappointed, the front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating, room was always clean, good toiletries in bathroom, breakfast was good. Self parking is a short walk right behind hotel. Service great overall. Would definitely return here when I'm in San Juan.

« 4 night stay at he Best Western Plus Condado Palm; May 2016 »

Public areas generally good; gust room required a make over, dirty carpet, paint flaking from bedroom walls, cracked tiles. Coffee maker and hair dryer in gust room. Most staff friendly however there were 2 occasions when service was poor asked for iced water in the evening was advised to buy it, also required directions for hotel car park advised it was at the back of the hotel; unable to find it; after driving around a one way system for over 30 mins; requested further directions and was then given a map

« Best Bang for you Bucks! »

Friendly staff, Walking distance to everything including the beach, casinos and stores. Walgreens and CVS are right outside the main door so it helps when you need to get something late at night or in the morning. Tons of restaurants around the area - all walking distance. Breakfast is your typical stuff but again, if you prefer something fancier, theres tons of options around. Felt safe walking even late at night.

« Nice hotel 50 yards from the beach »

There is a mixed bag of hotels in front of the beach, some with terribles reviews, so we went for this chain hotel, that usually cant go wrong. Indeed, it was a lot better than expected. They upgraded to a suite with a nice view. Service is attentive and professional. Breakfast is included, not that good but it was acceptable. It has a swimming pool, parking (extra), gym, wifi in rooms, but the best thing...it is 50 yards from the beach, the finest close to Old San Juan. Of course there are better beaches in San Juan, but that is another story.

    5
    « Great Experience »

As a teacher-Chaperon accompanying 15 students, this hotel was more than accommodating! It was clean and nice. They supplied Bath and Body Work products, as well as hair dryers. The continental breakfast was well stocked and changed meats and potatoes options each day! I was happy that they supplied towels to be used at the pool or beach! Lots of Restaurants nearby as well as the bar in the hotel! 2 blocks from the Beach!

    4
« Good quality good price »

Excellent location, 1 block from beach and from many restaurants and bars; good service in general, nice and comfortable rooms. Small but nice gym and outside pool. They have a beach club with chairs and umbrellas. The relation quality-price is ok.

    5
    « Very nice. »

I usually live in Renaissance/Marriott/Sheraton kind of place. Even this time, I was in a dilemma to chose between Best Western Plus and Marriott (Because I was booking through my air miles). We ended up selecting BW. Best Western Plus has everything you can wish for. It has a swimming pool, a bar, a business center, fitness center, Walgreen just across it and last there is a beach just a block away where you can see the Sunrise and Sunset. Location is pretty nice. On top of it, Amanda (Staff at BW) was just awesome. She upgraded our room from a standard to an ocean view. The staff really cares for you and is ready to help you through your plans to see Old San Juan. There is taxi right at the front of the entrance. If you are going to OSJ, you have two options - 1) Walk 10 mins and you can catch the bus to OSJ for a 1$. 2) Catch a taxi 15$. Yeah it's that cheap. Traveling to Airport is 18$ plus 14/a bag. Pretty much in the budget.

    5
    « Very Good Location »

We stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago for 2 nights after our cruise. This hotel is in a very good location overall with plenty of things in the area to do. It is one block from a beach, there is a Walgreens right across the street for all your medical or personal needs. The taxi service is very good and although they said it is possible to walk to Old San Juan from this hotel, we did have older family members with us so we just took a taxi and it was only about a 10 minute drive. The walk I think is supposed to be around 1 hour. As far as restaurants in the area, there are a lot of mom and pop restaurants which we went to. For our standard, they were a little pricey, but authentic. There were no so called "brand name" restaurants in the area within walking distance that we saw. As far as the hotel room itself, we were upgraded to a suite on the 6th floor. We did have an ocean view which was outstanding, but every time you went to sit on the balcony, the air conditioning units across the street from a neighboring hotel was so loud, it was actually annoying. The room itself was spacious enough for 3 people, it actually had a small kitchen with full size refrigerator and small sink. I can't remember if it had a microwave as we really didn't use the kitchen area at all. There were no dish towels or soap of any kind that was given to us either. As far as the sleeping arrangements, there is a wall separating the king size bed from the living area which had a sleeper sofa. I wouldn't let my dog sleep on that sleeper sofa. When I inquired at the front desk about the comfort of the sleeper for my mother who is 80, they said it was really good. Well, when we pulled it out, the mattress was only about 4 inches thick and all the springs could be felt when you laid on it. Needless to say, my husband braved it out for 2 nights so my mom could sleep in the King bed. My In-laws did down size to a regular room with 2 queen beds and they said it was good. The breakfast bar in the morning was one of the best I have seen around, even in the States. There were plenty of choices for everyone including hot and cold foods. Finally for those of you who need a wake up call in the morning to catch a flight, the hotel did an awesome job of keeping their promise for our 3:00 wake up call to fly out and they arranged for a taxi to be there for us. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for their location and amenities, but don't stay in the suite if you have plans on using the sleeper sofa.

    « Condado »

Good for short time frame. Close to Isla Verde which seems to have the main attractions. Staff was VERY helpful and friendly. Limited breakfast options. 24 hour pool. Lots of food options near. One block away from Condado Beach which has pretty rough waters but overall decent stay.

    5
« Great hotel in in Condado »

This is a great hotel in the Condado section of San Juan. I block from the beach and included a good breakfast. Not your typical juice, coffee and danish breakfast. The price is very reasonable for its location, free wireless and breakfast.

    5
    « Awesome Puerto Rico »

Went with a group of girls for a short vacation but I had to stay a couple of extra days. Picked Best Western Condado because it appears to be close to the beach. (about a block away). Easy to get to Old San Juan on the bus. Would do so again.

    « Superior Value !! »

We stayed in a king suite which was very large with ocean views. Very clean and we'll appointed with frdge, safe, microwave, dishes and plenty of space to relax and enjoy. Awesome and friendly staff who were very helpful. The free breakfast was wonderful with plenty of options. I loved that there was always hot coffee available all day. With these prices, I found this hotel to be of excellent value. Perfect location and home base for 5 days. We were originally scheduled for 4 nights but after we stayed at another hotel we found ourselves right back at the Best Western!! Just because a hotel claims to be "luxurious" doesn't mean they will offer the same customer service and value. I learned the hard way. The other two hotels we stayed at were both around $400 a night and did not compare to value we received here. Special thanks to the staff, EVERY SINGLE member we encountered were completely welcoming and helpful. Great job guys you truly made our stay awesome. Do yourself a favor and save money!! I will forever recommend this place.

    5
    « Wonderful »

Very nice, clean hotel with great staff. Close to all you need, stores, parking, casinos, restaurants, amenities, beach, everything! All that is walking distance. If you are driving, you can go to Old San Juan, Isla Verde and other beautiful places in the island and taste all typical dishes, which are just wonderful! Planning my next trip!

    « Excllent for cruisers »

This hotel is very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Taxi's are at the door and take your bags for you quickly to the cruise port. The breakfast was good with plenty of seating for everyone. We were upgraded to a suite for some reason, and it was very spacious. Restaurants within walking distance and a Walgreens just across the street made things very convenient for us.

    « Pre-Cruise Delight »

We stayed here for 3 nights pre cruise and were more than happy with our choice of hotel. I contacted Henry Neumann directly and he offered us an ocean view suite with a king size bed at an excellent rate. On arrival, after almost 22 hours of travel, the receptionist was most welcoming and checked us in efficiently. Our suite was 1810 in the north tower, very spacious, extremely clean with a fabulous view. The complimentary coffee, bottled water and toiletries was a great help after our journey. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and tea/coffee/iced water was available 24 hours in the lobby. Also a very useful laundry facility in the basement. All the staff were helpful and pleasant. The hotel is in a favourable position very close to some amazing restaurants serving local cuisine and on a bus route to Old San Juan. We would recommend this hotel and "thank you " Henry for organising the room, sorry that we didn't see you in person to convey our appreciation personally.

    2
« Room was not worth the money »

I went there for a night stay with my wife so we can enjoy San Juan during the weekend but the room had an odd smell to it and the bed had hair which was gross, I seen dust on the table and the small kitchen had coffee but no coffee maker and the ceiling had a crack and water was droping witch made a huge puddle all over the small kitchen. It was not a fun stay, I do not Recommend.

    4
    « Great Location - Awesome Staff »

The location is right in the center of Condado and the staff is outstanding at making you feel welcome. They're very helpful and informative. It can be a little loud in the North Tower but you also get an ocean view and a front row seat of the action on the street.

    2
    « Disappointed »

This hotel should not be classified as a BW Plus property. They are very understaffed at the front desk. Could never get help when calling due to understaffing. Bathroom doors are pocket doors, so no locks, and floors are uneven. Pool is small. The on line pictures must have been taken a while back. On the positive side, rooms were very clean, and breakfast is good.. Lots of places to gather in and around the lobby.

    5
« Great Place With Great Staff »

My husband and I had a pre and post cruise stay at this hotel. All of the staff were very friendly and well trained to meet our needs. The location is ideal to a variety of restaurants, the beach, and sightseeing tours are available at the hotel. Parking is easy and out the back door of the hotel. A Hertz car rental location is across the street at the Marriott on Ashford Avenue. I feet that every effort is made to accommodate the guests and would recommend this hotel.

    5
    « Great Hotel Experience »

The amenities that this hotel offers make it a great vacation spot. One block from the beach, close to shops and restaurants and great amenities make this a great experience. You can enjoy views from your private balcony while using the free internet the hotel offers. Free breakfast and computers with printer too.

    4
    « Nice place »

Great place to stay in San Juan. Good located in Condado, the beach at the end of the street. Good welcome and breakfast included in the price of the room, you don't have to look for one in the city in the morning. A lots of shops around. Maybe a little noisy but nothing else to mention.

« Good value for the price »

The hotel is older, but it has been updated. The room was large enough and the refrigerator and microwave is a real plus. the location is good, close to the beach and bus line. You will need to take a bus or a taxi to get to Old San Juan. The taxi is about $40 and the bus is $.75. We took the bus.

    5
« Quiet Place to rest »

We liked this hotel, close to the beach, great excursions, quiet rooms. The only issue was the beds were like sleeping on boards. Very stiff and uncomfortable. Staff was courteous and helpful at all times. The breakfast was good. Not much in the way of GF items but that wasn't their fault since PR doesn't seem to be as readily available to the Gluten Free options as the states are.

    5
    « new traveler »

The Hotel is within walking distant from the beach. Great dining and shopping. The price is perfect for the budget minded. If you like to bike around they have nice bicycles with helmets. I hope to return on my next trip to San Juan. The staff are the best. Oh almost forgot state of the art security too.

    5
« Great hotel for off the beach experience »

The hotel was very clean and nice. We were upgraded to an ocean view room which was wonderful! It was 2 blocks from the beach and several places to eat near by. They also gave chairs on the beach for free. The umbrella was $10 but the beach was very clean and nice sand! The hotel offered a hot breakfast which was great! They were very accomodating when we arrived early in the morning but couldn't check in until 12:30 (our rooms were ready early and they contacted us by phone). We were given towels and chairs for the beach to enjoy while waiting on the room. There was a small children's pool and adult pool. It was nice to enjoy when you were tired of sand!

    « 1 night pre-cruise »

Stayed one night pre-cruise. This is probably one of the best options for the price, as long as you do not expect luxury. It is an older property in need of updating/remodeling, but it is maintained and relatively clean. Overall average condition. Staff is friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is a notch above average for this class of hotel. It is located one block from the beach and near a convenience store and pharmacy for last minute purchases. Fair or not, rating dropped due to location. We were not impressed with Condado, but would consider this property again of we decided to come back. It is close to the cruise pier we were sailing from which is why we chose this area in the first place. The beach is not very impressive in this area unless you stay at a beachfront resort that grooms and maintains it. Will probably stay in Old San Juan next time we sail from PR.

    « great discovery »

Have been to PR many times, but this is my first stay at Best Western. Found this hotel to be an really great hotel for the price. All staff were extremely nice and helpful. Great location and great pool. Free use of computers, internet, and printer which was a nice bonus.

    « AWESOME STAY! »

The hotel is very clean! The staff is very friendly and will help or answer any questions you may have. They're very knowledgeable of the area if you're looking for ideas for lunch or dinner (bilingual also). The complimentary breakfast was very good in my opinion had a very good variety. Location was also on point only steps from Walgreens and across the street from CVS there is really no point on packing tooth paste and other travel needs with these stores nearby. The hotel was also very conveniently located to many great restaurants and only 1 block from the Condado Beach. The views from suites are breathtaking looking over the beach. The fitness room is top notch, the pool is smaller but who cares with a beautiful beach a 1 minute walk away. Taxi's are always at the main entrance of the hotel and only 10 minutes from the airport. I suggest calling Henry the General Manager he is a great guy and will take care of you like he did for my little brother and I.

« Convenient place to stay »

My husband and I took a quick trip down to PR so we could get some beach time in. The room overlooked the ocean and was very spacious. The breakfast was very tasty. I love having the CVS within walking distance because it was out go to for everything.

« Great hotel in Condado »

Hotel is perfectly adequate, everything was great except for the hard bed. Don't know why many mid-range hotels cannot upgrade to better mattresses. Area is accessible to everything in the Condado area. Beach is one block away, drug stores and restaurants close by. There are a lot of empty dilapidated buildings on Ashford Avenue, and the area appears to be going downhill. Parking available behind the hotel for $15/night, and free parking is scarce in the area. We walked over the bridge headed to the Hilton Caribe and saw two manatees swimming off the bridge and in the lagoon, which was very cool.

    « excellent service »

I consider this A-plus hotel. It is a clean environment. The customer service is very professional. Breakfast is good. The location of the hotel is the best around because everything is at walking distance.

    « Best Western Condado »

Overall pretty good but room 211 needs a little berm so the handicap shower water does not run onto the carpet. Need cold milk for cereal. Other than good hotel with helpful staff and good location. I would stay here again anytime.

« Farewell to Puerto Rico »

We rented two king suites, ocean view for one night prior to our departure from San Juan after a week long stay in a private home in Rincon. While not directly on the beach, the Best Western Condado Palm Inn & Suites was only a block and a half from the ocean and our room provided a perfect view of beach and surf. The hotel is very comfortable, clean, and convenient to many restaurants and shopping. The staff is outstanding! I would not hesitate to stay there again.

« My trip in San Juan »

The hotel is located in the center of the Condado at one block of the beach, you have restaurants, shops, pharmacies, souvenirs, banks, everything in the area, also it is very safe neighborhood. The hotel is completely renovated, everything is clean and working, breakfast is included, parking available behind the hotel, has pool, I strongly recommend this hotel.

« Beach & Old San Juan prior to Cruise »

We stayed here a few days to enjoy San Juan prior to a cruise. Very Nice hotel for the value. A block from great beach. Hotel pool OK, but not overlooking the beach like some of the more expensive hotels. Good breakfast buffet included and nice little bar with a great bar tender!! Also, near some good restaurants and a short cab ride to Old San Juan. Found a wonderful restaurant nearby right on the beach called Oceano with great food, view and service! Overall happy with choice and would stay here again!

    5
« Clean and great location »

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and I would highly recommend it. The location of this hotel is as good as it gets and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Located between a CVS and a Walgreens makes it a perfect place to pick up anything you need. There are also numerous restaurants located within a block or two. The beach is not a 5 min walk from your room and the Best Western has a location for its guest on the beach that supplies chairs and towels. I think it is a additional $5 for a umbrella. The complimentary breakfast was more than I expected and had a wide variety of items. Our room was #1109 and it was facing the ocean with a nice view. I also liked having to scan my card to access the floor my room was located on.

« Bester Western Plus Condado = Average At Best »

Average hotel. I booked my trip last minute and this hotel/flight package were within my trip budget. The lobby is fabulous and modern. Which would lead you to believe the rooms were the same...not so. The hotel bar doesn't open until 6pm so that meant I had to go down the block to the Marriott for a drink at a fabulous hotel bar. The location is great, across the street from the bus stop to Old San Juan and a CVS and a Walgreen's. But again only an average hotel. Spend the extra dinero and stay at a resort.

« Very nice place to stay »

Overall a great place, clean and comfortable! Friendly staff! Close to everything including food, the beach, and fun things to do. My husband and I stayed here the last 2 nights of our trip and we were both extremely satisfied with our stay! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large and very clean, the balcony was a little small but we had a great view of the beach and other attractions!

« Affordable hotel with great service »

We really enjoyed our stay at this Best Western Condado hotel. We have stayed before and they have made improvements--there is a nice bar in the lobby for relaxation and the breakfast items were ample and tasty, including hot oatmeal, eggs, sausage, pancakes. I was not expecting the selection. My 5-year-old enjoyed the pool, which is perfect for young children. Most importantly, the staff was very friendly and responsive. I had left my purse in the room and did not discover it until an hour after check-out. It contained everything--my driver's license, credit cards, money, cell phone! Not only did the housekeeping staff turn it in, with everything intact, but the supervisor was so helpful in getting the purse returned to me! I will definitely be returning!

« Great Place to Stay »

My friends and I stayed for the last night of our trip. This place is great, clean, and a very friendly staff! Breakfast was good as well. The rooms were very clean, and the lobby is very modern and appealing. There is a really cool saltwater fish tank by the check in desk.

« Isla del encanto and San Juan a beautiful city. »

The Best-Western Condado Palm Inn is about 20 minutes drive from the airport in the busy Condado district and one block from a beautiful beach. The hotel is very nice and clean and has a beautiful aquarium when you walk into the lobby. Our room was very nice ;comfortable bed ,fridge, big T.V.and a pretty good bathroom with very classy beauty products. There is a very decent workout room and a cute little pool, but that pool which is open 24 hours was the reason we did not sleep too well during our two nights there:groups of kids came in and had their party until the morning hours.Breakfast was excellent and a lot of choices.A bus stops right on the corner of the hotel...and in 15 minutes you are in beautiful old .San Juan. Close proximity to many restaurants and beautiful ocean views.

    « Contrasts! »

We stayed here with another couple prior to a cruise. We booked through the cruise line and were given a room that needed a serious renovation and overlooked a parking lot. It was as clean as the housekeeping could make it, but well worn, old & tired would be a better description. The toilet barely flushed, the air conditioning was feast or famine, and the bathroom window no longer fit in the frame. Our friends booked on their own and received an oceanview suite....

« Great location for the price »

This hotel is in a great location and walking distance from the beach and bars/restaurants. The staff was really friendly and very nice. Pool/room is small but it's okay we weren't in the room that long.

    « Relaxed Vacation »

Hotel is very clean, employees are very friendly and a very relaxed environment. Parking is hard to find near the hotel but there is a pay parking next to it. The location is excellent with many places to have lunch or dinner at walking distance. The beach is about 100 meters from the hotel.

    « Renovation Approved!!! »

This hotel used to be an old, ugly place, but since Best Western acquired the place and made renovations, it's like a new building. The hotel now is beautiful and comfy. RENOVATION APPROVED!!! Ambiance. 5 Service. 4.5 Cleanliness. 4.5 Location. 5. In the heart of Condado!! Amenities. 4.5 Pool, bar, gym, the usual!! Price.-- They have the usual prices for a hotel with a good location.

« Great value super location »

I arrived at the hotel which is a short ride from the airport. The hotel staff were all very friendly and check-in was quick and easy. The room was clean. All of the expected amenities. Wifi is free for unlimited devices. The pool and breakfast area is basic but nice. The hotel is a 3 minute walk to the beach and there are stores downstairs. The food was good and public transportation is right outside the hotel.

    « Pre/Post Cruise »

I looked online after our travel agent gave us some options on where to stay pre/post cruise. The pictures online made this place look great. The first night we checked in, North Tower 2nd floor. We got in at 130am and it was a good thing I was tired and didn't care. The room smelled very musty and the bathroom was questionable. Yesterday we were in the South tower, 5th floor. What a upgrade. Large room, clean and no smell.

« Hotel at a great location in Condado »

This hotel need maintenance but I have to say they are working on it.I think that for the price I paid it was fair.It is a good place to stay if you only going to be at the hotel to sleep. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is ok.The most important thing the hotel offers is the location. There are several excellent restaurants at walking distance. You have 2 pharmacies 24 hrs open (CVS & Walgreens) in the same street, that have available everything you need. The beach is 5 minutes away walking if you want to do some surfing is perfect in a windy day.If you just want to relax there is another beach 15 to 20 minutes walking or you can take a taxi and go to Ocean Park.

« Not worth it for the price »

I arrived and everything went very well since I checked in until the last night when everything turned in to a nightmare. A wired noise came out of the bathroom and it sounded like a short circuit and all lights in the room also started to blink, I called front desk to report the potential problem and the girl forgot to reported to maintenance people. Called twice and reported it in person to front desk to. Finally they came and fixed and they said there was a short circuit, cables were touching each other and that could lead to a fire. About an hour later started to do the same thing, I asked to change room and the front desk guy agreed to give another room but he advised that the room had a flood issues but there was a blower in the room to dry up the carpet. The room had a bad smelling cause of the flood due to air conditioning unit liking water. I asked for another room and front desk said they didn't have nothing available, finally after insisting in getting another room he said yes we have another room. I took my staff in the room try to close the blinds and they felt down and the shower tub was clogged. Over all, I won't go back to this hotel cause is too old and it need lost of maintenance. Not worth it for the over $200 paid per night I stayed.

    4
« Comfy beds, friendly staff »

The hotel suite was large and clean but a bit dated. The reception staff were very friendly. Happy Hour in the bar is worth a visit! Hotel very near lots of restaurants & beach very near. Walk to the more up market "promenade" about a 10 mins walk towards San Juan. There was a food and craft Market on the Sunday morning but I don't know how often it is on. We stayed a night before our cruise which was OK,only 10 mins from the terminal $18 cab fare - but if it is your only night I would stay in San Juan as it is a gorgeous interesting city which you could easily explore before sailing off.

    4
« Pre and Post Cruise »

We stayed here both pre and post cruise. I must say that the hotel checked off all of our needs. It was close to restaurants and nightlife. The bike program was amazing!! We took the bikes all the way to Old San Juan which saved us on cabs and we got some exercise seeing the city. The hotel could use a little updating and the breakfast was below par. The best part of our stay is that we got upgraded both nights to large suites overlooking the ocean.

    5
« Excelent service and accomodations by the hotel front desk »

During my last visit to San Juan PR, for the last night my original place to stay was not available and I had to find a hotel for one night. After talking with the front desk personnel I found only one room available which only covered my basic needs. This was due to a big event in the Island in where practically all the hotels were at the maximum capacity. Nevertheless I booked the room. When I went back to the hotel to get my room around 11:00pm to my great surprise the hotel upgraded my room for the same price and the room included everything I need it for the night and more. We were extremely satisfy with the front desk personnel that made this happened. I would like to make special attention to Mr. Carlos Camacho which made all these process very easy and pleasant. THANKS and great Job. I would definitively book with them on my next trip.

    « Great service »

We were looking for a hotel last minute due to a family situation. When we called they were very helpful in every posible way. Accomodating beyond what one would expect, but in reality doing their job 100%. We had a great stay and the breakfast was full of choices (cold & hot) and savory.

    4
« Good but Nothing Spectacular »

The location of the hotel was excellent, only 2 blocks from the beach and close to the main road filled with restaurants, bars, and shopping. A lot of options on things to do. The hotel pool was a little smaller than expected, but the rooms were a good size for 4 adults to be sharing. Overall a good trip based on the location.

    « Great stay.. »

From the time that I walked in to the time that I checked out the service was great. I had to leave at 3:30 in the morning and they had a taxi waiting for me. I would stay here again. Loved the happy hour bar also.

Rooms need updating, pool very small,, nobody answered phone at front desk,no restaurant for dinner,no brochures at front desk, had 2 bottles of water when we arrived but not replenished, no backup t.p.had to call front desk, no entertainment, room smelled musty, they don't tell you when you check in that room key needs to be scanned in elevator, breakfast pastries terrible had pancakes every day except 1 , breakfast stops at10 ( missed it on check day) bartender was more interested in closing than getting our check. We were at Marriott across street more than here. Worth the extra money to go somewhere else unless you are only there to sleep!!!!

    « Pre-cruise stay »

We chose this hotel for a one night, pre-cruise stay. Location in Condado was great. Walking distance to fabulous restaurants. One block from the beach. Walgreens and CVS both across the street, where we purchased bottles of water and soda to take on our cruise out of San Juan. Staff was friendly and got a cab immediately for us when we wanted to leave for the cruise pier in the morning. Great balcony, where we could see the beach; and in the morning, we were able to see our ship. A nice surprise was when arrived, we were upgraded to a huge suite. The complimentary breakfast was sufficient before we left for our cruise. The price was reasonable, compared to other San Juan hotels.

    « A Good Stay »

The hotel was great, the quality of the rooms was good and they were clean. The lobby offered free printing and up to date computers for your use. The complimentary breakfast was average, typical hotel breakfast. Although, NOT mentioned by the hotel was that you had to pay everyday to park there while other hotels offered free parking for their visitors. The location of the hotel is convenient to a Walgreen's and several restaurants. Overall a good stay within but definitely did not like paying each day for parking.

    « Highly recommend »

We chose this hotel for a short stay before a cruise out of San Juan because we had stayed there last year and were happy with everything. This year, we had even more to be happy about. When departing our room at the Best Western Condado Palm, we left behind a backpack and pair of shoes. (Blame it on jet lag.) When we got to the ship, we realized what had happened and contacted the Condado Palm just as we were pulling away from the pier. The manager, Carlos Comacho, stepped up and arranged to have the backpack and shoes sent to our home address, free of charge, so we didn't need to worry about it during the cruise. We will definitely be staying here again. The staff are the best--very friendly and accommodating. Thanks, Carlos!

« Excellent attentive service and great location »

The staff alone was reason enough to stay at this hotel. Everyone kind, helpful and professional esp Normari at the concierge desk who gave us great recommendations and booked us on a biobay tour even before our arrival. The location was perfect in center of restaurants and bars; nearby beach access included chairs provided by hotel; about 3-4 miles from historic town (easy to walk in order to see everything but cabs were always available (15.00 flat rate to town; 20.00 flat rate to airport. Breakfast was provided with basics; rooms were clean and beds were comfy.

    « Decent hotel »

I stayed here for 3 nights. Second night my room started to have maintenance problems, electrical to be specific. I requested to get another room. First, the front desk guy told us that they did not had any rooms available. Then, they gave us one that was having problems with the AC. The carpet was wet, and the room was smelling horrible. So then we had to go back down and ask for another room, 20 minutes later they have us a room. Smaller than the one we original had. This all happened around 11pm. All we wanted is to get a good night sleep.

    « Hotel Review »

Stayed 1 week and everything was great and problem free. Good value. Excellent free breakfast with hot foods, fruit, yogurt, cereals, oatmeal, toast, juice, pastries, and more; coffee available all day; Happy Hour 2 for 1 from 6 to 8 PM. Staff was very helpful and polite. Free internet; Free bicycle use, including helmet and bike lock (for 2 hours at a time); Parking right behind the hotel available for $15 plus tax per day, charged right to your room. Bus stop just a couple hundred feet away - take Bus 53 to/from Old San Juan for just 75 cents each way (exact change required). Buses are air conditioned and only take about 20 minutes each way. Bus 53 also goes to airport in its "loop". The week at this hotel was great in all aspects. My room 306 overlooked the swimming pool and patio area. Walgreens and CVS 24-hour full drugstores adjacent.

    « Great winter break »

My husband and I chose this hotel because it was so reasonable compared to others in the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially at breakfast. There are chairs a short walk down the beach reserved for hotel guests. I liked the variety of restaurants in the area. We could walk to a different one every evening. All in all we had a great stay.

    « Nice location & great hotel »

We really enjoyed this hotel and the accommodations. The pool was a bit small and they could use a jacuzzi but the hotel itself is nice and updated. The rooms were very clean and roomy. We had a great view of the beach and surrounding area. The parking is the only downfall. There is no parking that's free, it cost us $16 a night to park.

« Great location, price and service »

Stayed 4 nights with my college age daughter and her friend. Great location in Condado, 10 min from the airport 1 1/2 blocks from the beach and 1/2 block from Ashford Ave shopping, restaurants and casino. Hot breakfast is included, 24 hr Walgreens across the street, $15 cab to OSJ or 75 cent bus trip. We took the bus once and in was easy and drops you across from the cruise port. It doesn't run in Sunday's. The hotel has beach club on Condado beach 1 1/2 blocks away and with your hotel card they give you chairs and towels. The pool was nice but there is only sun in the am because of the buildings. Overall a very stay in a convenient location.

« This hotel is ok. »

The hotel looked a lot nicer on line. After settling in it wasn't that bad but it was below my expectations. the pool view sucks...they don't tell you you are looking at the top of a building, in addition to the small pool. Ocean view is a must. the maid didnt change our sheets until we stripped the bed. the hallways were little dated (clearly we stated in the pool view tower. We should have had an ocean view. i think those were way nicer. its what we wanted but it wasn't available. its a great location, walk a block to beach, food, street life, yes! its was ok. less that what i expected but PR is beautiful ... so it was ok.

« Clean and well situated »

My room was clean and well maintained every day. Comfortable Queen Size bed and linen and large bathroom stocked with quality products. There was also a small room that served as a walk in closet and also had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The room had a very partial seaview. Unfortunately, a derelict high rise hotel was visible. Well situated in Condado Beach area, but note easy to go to Old San Juan. Taxi rides vary from $15 to $25 dollars one way. The bus is only 75 cents, but there are no schedules and arrivals are very sporadic.

« Terrible ventilation in room, Near the beach, Supermarket outside »

PROS - Very nice and big lobby where you can lounge; there are computers you can use and a tea and coffee station available all day - Hotel is just down the street from the beach, 2 minutes walk, where you can get sun loungers and towels from the beach club - Walgreens and CVS are right outside the hotel and there are multiple restaurants around - Stayed in a room with partial sea-view which was spacious with a comfy king-sized bed, ironing accessories, and microwave - You can do your laundry in their coin washing machine - We took a rainforest tour via the hotel which was fine, they conveniently pick you up at the hotel CONS - Our room was extremely humid all of the time (despite putting the air-condition on very low temperature at times to counteract this) and had a bad mildew smell whenever we entered. The bathroom was tiny and had terrible ventilation (and useless counter space), the wall outside the bathroom door always had water drops streaming down, and the door wouldn't stay open unless we put an object in the way - The partial sea-view is merely a glimpse of the sea - Breakfast was standard with a few hot choices, though, breakfast area was quite uninviting and so basic - Check-in was a little slow - Pool area is very dull, not a place I wanted to spend any time at

    4
    « Great location & friendly staff »

This hotel is very conveniently located in 5 minutes walking distance from the beach in the center of everything in Condado. Great restaurants ts around, lively atmosphere around and of course the beach. You can easily get to Old San Juan for some sightseeing (taxi or bus). The service was great, very friendly staff, however we did not need much so there was no much interaction. This hotel is the typical "Inn" type of place and everything you can expect from this. You know it's not 5 star place but you get a comfortable and clean enough accommodation, basically you get what you pay for. Go for a ocean front or partial ocean view room as you don't want to be facing the parking garage during your vacation. Rooms are spacious with a comfortable bed for good night sleep, a bit outdated maybe and I wished housekeeping did a bit better job cleaning (especially mirrors & windows) but we enjoyed the accommodations very much regardless. Pool is also clearly for the sake of having some sort of pool on property. We did not use it at all, very small and not appealing, but hey hopefully you go to Puerto Rico for the Atlantic Ocean not for some chlorine bathtub. Front Desk staff and employees serving breakfast (complimentary btw) are beyond helpful and friendly. I would recommend the place and stay there again given a chance!

Highly recommend this hotel for business and you can't beat the value/cost compared to the other hotels in the area.

    « Definitely over rated »

Booked this hotel based on Tripadvisor reports. As per the reviews the staff was friendly and the location had some advantages (ie: close to the beach, and some stores). When we first entered the hotel the lobby looked nice but that's when things started to go down hill. The hallway to our room was dimly lit and in major need of updating. Our room ( was supposed to be a suite) was dull, looking like in was decorated in the 70's. The air conditioner made a lot of noise and we had to cover part of the vent with towels to try and gets some relief from the fan that had no controls. We had arrived late and were exhausted from 17 hours of traveling or we would have complained. Had conversation with other people around the pool about similar issues. We are very glad we were only staying there one night. I would rate this hotel a 3 and for the price that is a real push. Bottom line we would not recommend this hotel to any of our friends.

    « Comfortable, Great Location »

Two drugstores nearby. Beach 1 block. Lots of places to eat. Clean, comfortable, decent breakfast. It is a tourist area so there will be families. The rooms were not exquisite, but had everything we needed and were clean and comfortable. The staff all spoke english, were available 24/7 and were very friendly. I only wish there was a jacuzzi instead of a kiddie pool. (The full size pool is only 4 feet deep anyway)

    « Awesome caring staff »

I really dont have any complaints. The room was comfortable and cozy, the balcony was cool even though it was angled toward the street. We enjoyed our stay. The gym is sufficient, capable of cardio and weight training. The pool was warm, and seemingly clean. The internet access was speedy, and they even have a set of computes to use. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The bed mattress was a bit hard for me, but that's perceptive. I'd stay here again, absolutely.

« Wonderful value for the location and the quality of the staff »

My husband and I just returned from a week's stay here. I did a lot of research before I booked a place. I wanted a good value, but not at the cost of comfort and location. I nearly booked somewhere else and then I read all the wonderful reviews of this Best Western. They were not wrong. First of all, the staff here is phenomenal. The front desk folks are very friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff did a good job. Our room was always perfectly clean. All the common areas are immaculate. The tour desk guy stayed later than his shift to help me book a rain forest tour for the next morning. The bartender is a serious WORKER! She handled a packed bar by herself every night. The place is bustling because they have an awesome happy hour deal of 2 for 1 drinks on weeknights from 6 - 8. And it's not just for bottles of beer. I mean she will make you perfect mojitos, too! So good. I should also mention that they have free freshly popped popcorn as a bar snack during happy hour. It is delicious. I'm getting hungry now just thinking about it (not to mention THIRSTY!). The location really can't be beat. There are a million bars and restaurants within walking distance. You are right across the street from the bus stop (you can take the #21 or the #53 to Old San Juan for .75 each way). And the hotel is right between a CVS and a Walgreens for all your sunblock and Dorito needs! We were in a suite on the 9th floor of the north tower. It had a huge balcony with a nice view of the water, though it's obviously going to be obstructed as the hotel is about a block from the ocean. They DO have their own section of beach, but one downside is that is a couple blocks away and it's not entirely clear where (there is a flag, but you have to keep a good eye out for it). Just ask the front desk staff before you go and they will direct you the right way. You may also want to ask them for some towels before you head out. They DO have them at the beach, but not always reliably/immediately. They have good lounge chairs; there should be a hotel rep around to help you with them (generally somewhere in the shade behind the flag). They also offer umbrellas (for a fee, I think), though we never needed them because there was always a nice mix of sun and shade. In fact, sometimes you get people coming over from big fancy oceanfront hotels because their beach is too shaded by buildings in the afternoon! The breakfast was fine. They vary it slightly day by day. Sometimes it's scrambled eggs; sometimes they are hard-boiled. They always have toast and cereal. There are sometimes bananas. Sometimes apples. Yogurt, applesauce. Tiny baked goods. The coffee is mediocre, but it always is. There is a Starbucks about a block away if you want something stronger/fancier. The only other thing I can imagine someone complaining about might be the bathroom. The toilet/bath room is kind of small and dated. But I really spent very little time in there so I didn't care too much. The sink is separate from the toilet/bath, which I always appreciate. There is ample space to put toiletries around the sink, which is lovely. I would definitely stay here again. And I would have no reservations about recommending it to others as long as they aren't real snobs about their bathtub being pretty.

« Best Western Condado Area »

Feb.1st, we booked 1 night stay at the Best Western in the Condado area of SJ. Hotel is across from the beach, close walking distance. We had a corner room on the 10th floor. Our room had a very small balcony, but we did have a somewhat ocean view. You could see the ocean from between the building across the street. Best Western is an older hotel, but well kept. Our room was clean, comfortable, & the staff was friendly & helpful. Hotel has a small bar with a happy hour, has a pool, & offers a complementary breakfast. We would stay there again.

    « Overpriced »

We chose this hotel for one night prior to a cruise. We arrived at 3:00 in the morning so only had a few hours. The room was upgraded to a suite, but everything was very old and tired and not worth the outrageous price we paid. The bathroom had very poor ventilation and showed water damage. I think the$15 per person resort fee is a cash grab - it does not have resort amenities. Next time, we will look for a different hotel

« Would stay here again in a heartbeat! »

From the point of check in the experience was positive. There was a slight problem with our check in in part because we added a day to our trip, but the woman checking us in was very polite and had a solution to our problem before even mentioning the problem. Her solution didnt cost us any extra money and the rest of our stay was easy!. Our room was partial ocean view, but we only paid standard price! 1 block from a beach which is free to go to! The pool is open 24 hours! Great to just relax in the pool after a long day of hiking! The continental breakfast is not too bad! and the hours are 6:30 to 9:30, which in my experience is better than many others that end at 8AM. There is coffee and water always available and convenient to go cups! Our room, standard double had a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge with cold water in it. There is a 24 hour CVS and Walgreens across the street! The staff was always so nice, and they held our luggage after checkout until 10PM! We stayed there in Feb, which I believe is a higher tourist time, and it was $182 a night, it may be cheaper in the off season, Definitely a good place to stay!

« Nice Clean Hotel Close to Beach »

We have had good luck with the Best Western brand wherever we travel so we thought we would try this one for one night before we met up with another couple and flew to Vieques. The hotel and staff did not disappoint. It is located on a relatively quiet street so street noise is not a problem. The hotel was immaculate as was the room. The complementary breakfast in the morning was very good with a decent variety of quality dishes. Though we did not take advantage of it, the hotel is located within easy walking distance to the beach All this, combined with a reasonable price (and no resort fee), makes the Best Western Plus Condado Palm Inn and Suites a great place to stay. We will definitely consider staying here again when we return.

« Loved that Best Western »

We stayed there overnight Jan 29 took a cruise from ther allways loved Best Western but what I was most impressed with was the decor and guest services we had a transfer from hotel to pier they told us to attach labels to our carry on so they would take not only checked but carry on as well so we had a few hours to take some walks and not have to worry about carry on. We also asked where they recommend for dinner they suggested Oceancia which was awesome by the way Thankyou Best Western Condado

    « Good hotel »

We stayed at the hotel again this year while doing our annual southern Caribbean cruise. Is reasonably priced and in the Center of the Condado area of San Juan. Great restaurants, bars, nightclubs and casinos nearby. Try mofongo at the Orozco's restaurant two down from Walgreens. You won't be disappointed.

« Great Hotel for the Price »

We booked The Best Western Condado Palm last-minute as we made plans only a few days out to travel to San Juan for a short vacation. The price is below average for the Condado area, the rooms were clean and well kept, and the hotel is walking distance from everything you could need for your stay. We were especially happy to find out that our standard room still had a partial view of the ocean. If you're in the area and looking for simple accommodations and a friendly staff, definitely stay here!

« Just OK, Not Great »

My wife & I did a pre-day stay here prior to our Southern Royal Caribbean Cruise. We felt the location was the best asset of the hotel. The hotel was located in a nice area near a few restaurants & across the street from the Walgreen's Drug Store. We stayed in a room on the 6th floor that was just ok. The room walls, floor needed attention very bad. The bathroom was designed very odd. The toilet was stuck in between the wall & the tub and the paper holder jammed into your left side making it very uncomfortable. The pool area was real small also. Overall, our one night stay was ok.

« Ideal for precruise or post cruise stay »

We stayed here for 2 nights prior to our cruise and we were quite happy with our choice and experience. We were unable to book a room in any old San Juan hotels because of unavailability and went with this one because of positive reviews and more reasonably priced than other hotels in the area. The hotel is close to stores, restaurants and beach. It has a nice warm water pool - it is not in the sun all day and is not built to swim laps- pool towels are available at the front desk. We stayed in the south tower on an upper floor and had a nice sized room with safe, fridge, microwave oven, coffee maker. We found staff pleasant and helpful. Only issue we had was a noisy air conditioner but we appreciated it Sunday night as I think every harley and car in San Juan with loud music, loud engines and exhausts, honking horns were out on the streets till all hours of the night. The balcony was very small and not usable except to stand out and watch street activity. We were a little startled at the number of beggars using puppies or dogs as a means to get money on the sidewalks but they did not bother anyone. We felt very safe to walk around and explore. The hotel is surrounded by other buildings and you can see the ocean if you are on the north side of the towers but it is a very limited view. Breakfast buffet was appreciated but could have been better staffed to refill food areas that were out of items.

« Clean, well priced near beach. »

Hotel was well maintained and staff is very friendly. Great location. Within walking distance to many eateries, shopping and beach. Rooms were not available until well after 3pm. Be sure to understand how elevator works using your room key so you don't get stuck going no where. Breakfast had many options. I worried about room facing the busy street but had no problem with noise on the 2nd floor.

    « Terribly Dissapoineted »

Your evening staff should take a customer service training in providing service and explanation and should also not comment in Spanish under his breath regarding how stupid he thought we were and bad mouth us as Puerto Ricans we spoke and understood English and Spanish and given that Puerto Rico has a 49% poverty rate you might want to treat all guests with respect as they are spending money .

    « Simply great »

It was one of those stays that met all expectations. Great customer service, excellent view from my room and cannot complain about the location. Really enjoyed my stay. The beds were extremely comfortable. We were close to plenty of restaurants. The one thing I did not like was having to pay for parking but this is something any traveler should be used to when visiting a big city

    « Comfortable hotel »

Hotel was conveniently located. Short taxi ride from the airport. 1 block walk to the beach. Bus stop to catch bus to Old San Juan was at the corner. CVS and Walgreens across the street. Many restaurants within walking distance. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. They responded quickly when I couldn't get the safe open in our room. Room decor was a bit dated. But rooms were spotless. You do have an ocean view from upper floors.

    « A great beginning »

We came to San Juan with friends a few days ahead of our cruise and stayed at the Condado Palm. It was clean, comfortable and bright. We were walking distance to restaurants and a very short walk to the beach. The neighborhood seemed safe to walk in at night. We very much enjoyed the pool on both nights of our stay-it was our favorite feature of the hotel. The breakfast was good and added value to the stay. We were able to easily catch a bus right in front of the hotel to go to visit Old San Juan. Note: We were busing on a weekday and apparently the buses are not as reliable on Saturdays and don't run on Sundays. The free trolley system in Old San Juan made it easy to see it all. The hotel was able to delay our check out on Saturday morning so that we were able to enjoy some time on Condado Beach sunning and swimming. The hotel offers complimentary beach chairs and towel right on the beach. All in all a great experience. We would recommend the Condado Palm Inn.

    « Very basic »

We stayed for one night after our cruise. We wanted to be near a beach and the kids wanted a pool. The lobby seems bright and updated and the employees are friendly. The rooms seems dated and a little shabby in areas. We booked two rooms and they were side-by-side, but not adjoining. I found the carpet seemed a bit icky, the bathroom was very basic (think dormitory) and seemed a bit rough around the edges. It was clean enough but felt run-down and outdated. I did like the Bath & Body Works products however. The bed was comfortable enough. The other thing that annoyed me was that the air conditioning unit was adjacent to the head of the beds against the outside wall and anytime you had it running, it blew cold air right over your heads while you were laying down. Even on the lowest setting, it was annoying to have the cold air blowing directly on your head. We turned it off for a while but figured out how to have just a fan with no cold air. Without the unit on, we could hear the people in the pool. Apparently the pool is open 24 hours so it wasn't until almost 2am when it finally quieted down outside. The location is nice however it is not directly on the beach. Our friends stayed at a different hotel and we wish we had stayed there. That hotel had a large, resort-style pool, was directly on the beach, free boogie-boards, and updated rooms. This was fine for the price and a one night stay but I probably would choose a different hotel next time. The employees are great and that is probably the best thing about this hotel.

« way more than expected!!! »

Conveniently placed in the center of The Condado at a walking distance from the pristine waters of San Juan beaches. Their professional and friendly personnel take pride in making you feel welcome to a clean room and shower, 24hrs pool and gym, great breakfast and parking right on property. No problems with the internet, very good signal and security features to access the facilities with your room card even the elevators.

    « Very Good Experience »

Staff was very warm and welcoming. My partner is disabled and treated her very well. The suite was beautiful. Would definitely stay again the next time we are in Puerto Rico. Many kudos to the entire staff of this establishment.

« Comfortable but not fancy »

Needing a place to stay for two nights, we opted for here. The facilities are clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful and it is located a block and a half from the beach however it has a pool. The complimentary breakfast offerings hot and cold selections.

    3
    « Not really impressed »

Where to start...aside from getting stuck on the elevator, bathroom sink plumbing flood (twice), no towels at the pool or designate beach spot (as expected), super firm mattress, no wash clothes...hmmm? The best was the beach spot attendee telling me I could either have used beach towels (he called them dirty) or I could walk back to hotel to get clean ones. Ocean view from our suite was sweet and plenty of eateries nearby. 24-7 Walgreens and CVS across the street was nice, especially when travelling with a 7 month old. Nice seafood buffet at the Marriot nearby. Oh and parking was $16/day. Every other lot nearby was $10.

    4
    « Warm and welcoming »

We stayed four nights at the Best Western Plus following a Disney cruise. The hotel is a block from the beach, with nearby shopping, restaurants, and bus stops. Our room was very comfortable, and we had a view of the beach from our balcony. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered a variety of hot and cold dishes, more than enough for anyone. There is free high speed wifi and a business centre, handy for printing boarding passes. The pool area is clean and sunny. It is a great choice for those who want comfort and convenience without the much higher price of beach-front accommodations.

« A very nice hotel by the beach »

This hotel is very clean and has really friendly and helpful staff. There are always lots of staff there to help you with anything you need. The location is great because it is right by the beach but also convenient as you can walk to lots of restaurants and there are 24 hour pharmacies right there in case you need anything. The internet was very fast and stable.

We stayed here post cruise for 1 night and loved it. The staff was delightful and so friendly. The rooms were clean and the area the hotel is in has a ton to do! There is not a restaurant in the hotel but there was a bar. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

    « Not My Favorite »

Ordered a handicapped room; placed in regular room which wasn't suitable for my issues. Told that handicapped room would be ready and cleaned in one hour. Three hours later I went to the desk and was not a happey camper. Finally, the room was finished but it smelled so bad. I thought the maid sprayed something so we moved in to the room. I complained and finally on the second night was told that I could move but at that point, I refused. When we were in the room, the air conditioner spilled a good amount of water unto the carpet and we reported the issue. The smell was from mildew and mold, The manager did come to the room and since we didn't want to move since we were checking out in the morning, gave us one night free. In a follow up email. the manager said the problem was taken care of. The rest of the hotel, pool, breakfast, etc were all fine. Around the corner from the hotel was a delicious Chinese, Japanese restaurant as well as close by casinos.

« Condado Location and good value »

Close to Cruise docks, beach, Old San Juan, restaurants and shopping ( including CVS and Walgreens for forgotten items). Have used it twice for pre and post cruise lodging. Last time I got really reasonable AAA price for 16th floor suite with balcony facing the ocean. Check out the full suites and be surprised that the huge suite with beds for four costs only a fraction more than the base room .... I dealt directly with the hotel and got a much better price than any of the hotel price engines

« Good location and nice hotel, but Condado Beach is not very nice »

We stayed at Best Western Plus Condado Palm inn & Suites for 3 nights before a cruise and we liked the hotel and the room was nice, however the bathroom was not renovated. The complimentary breakfast was a typical BW breakfast with some kind of eggs, toast, youghurt and fruit, but it's a long way from a Swedish or even European complimentary hotel breakfast. The pool area is OK, but the sun disappears at about 2 o'clock p.m. We didn't like the Condado Beach at all, because it was small, narrow and somewhat dirty, but BW has some complimentary sun chairs on the beach. The location is good and the bus ride into the bus terminal near Old San Juan only takes about 15 minutes, and there are also plenty of restaurants nearby, but the area is not very "cosy", for example, very few restaurants with outside places nearby the ocean front. It's also fairly close to Plaza Las Americas by taxi, if you'd like to do some shopping.

« Great central location Isla Carolina/Condado San Juan area »

Pros Best Western in Puerto Rico has a terrific location. The lobby is beautiful and elevators work fast. Our room had a king sized bed, desk, closet, microwave, refrigerator, and of course private bathroom. Also, free hot breakfast, free wifi, and no hidden resort fees were a plus compared to many other hotels in the area. Restaurants, shopping, and the beautiful Condado beach our just a few steps from the hotel entrance. Walgreens and CVS pharmacy are 24 hours located right outside the hotel, too. Cons Sleep may be trouble for some because of its central location-you will hear traffic, trucks backing up, and horns honking around this bustling area. Suggestions: the rooms need some updating as far as some of the electrical outlets not working, the ceiling needed a paint job and some work in our room, and window glass needs sound proofing. Overall a great deal for the location as compared to other hotels down the street and around the corner. I would return again!

    4
    « Good value »

San Juan is not the cheapest destination. This hotel was cheaper than other hotels in comparison. All the hotels in the Condado area have the usual exorbitant taxes and fees associated with all San Juan hotels. The lobby was remodeled and clean, staff was very polite and helpful. The rooms are small but so are most in San Juan hotels. Continental breakfast is included and includes the usual cereal, yogurts, pastries, and some hot items like eggs, sausage, etc.. that change daily. And of course coffee, tea, and juice. There is a pool, a gym and a small business center. The hotel bar is nice and the bar tender friendly and makes a really good Mojito. Beach was a short walk away, nice having chairs and towels available there. Rooms were dated and in need of remodeling/updating. Breakfast was hearty (included eggs and some sort of meat and a potato each morning) but crowded. I'm not sure I'll return to San Juan, but if I do, I would definitely stay here again. There is a Walgreen's and a CVS across the street which sell everything from food, to beach wear to pharmacy items to alcohol. And the prices are reasonable at both.

« Good Place for Pre or Post Cruise »

After a 12 day cruise we checked into this Best Western. We were early, but had our room by 1:00. Staff is very friendly. Room in the South Tower was large with two queen beds, but the bathroom was small. The air conditioner was so loud we had to turn it off at night to sleep. The pool was great! Breakfast was adequate. Being a hub for cruisers, the weekend breakfasts were very crowded. Happy Hour in the bar Monday-Friday was a nice touch. On the beach we had a reserved area with free loungers. Loved the location as we were right near the bus line, great restaurants, CVS, and the beach. Would return, but only in North Tower.

« Great location, mediocre everything else. »

I was really impressed when we walked in the lobby; very clean and modern. The front desk staff was courteous and helpful (we arrived in the morning well before check in, but they were nice enough to store our bags and get us a parking pass so we could go explore the area). The location of the hotel is perfect; about a block and a half to the beach, surrounded by shops and restaurants, and centrally located to just about everything you'd want to do on the island (10-15 minute drive to old San Juan, El Morro, and the Bacardi distillery, about an hour of very scenic driving to Arecibo where la cueva del Indio is, about 20 minutes to the big fancy mall, and about 30ish minutes to El Yunque). The tour desk up front was very helpful in organizing a couple of activities for our group of four, as well as recommending some places to eat that were off the beaten path. We had a very easy time getting around, and really did enjoy coming back to the little beach community at the end of the day to explore the area on foot and unwind. Unfortunately our stay here did have some disappointments. The ocean view that I thought I had paid for is definitely not the view from our room in the north tower on the 15th floor (see pictures taken from just outside the sliding door in the middle of our patio). The room was spacious and tidy, but a little shabby and outdated. The pool is small and and not very well maintained, and what we had thought was a hot tub actually turned out to be a shallow "kiddie pool". The hotel does have a beach club that provides lounge chairs and towels, although I recommend bringing your own towel if you can, as the ones they offer are very thin and tiny. The breakfast varied from okay to downright bad, so most mornings we opted for an inexpensive breakfast around the corner at Latin Star (FANTASTIC coffee). Overall we really did enjoy the location and a clean, comfy bed. However, as someone who travels quite a bit, I think I was expecting a little more for the money from the actual establishment.

« great location and value »

We enjoyed exploring San Juan in this hotel because of the location and free bikes we were able to use. Also great local places are within walking distance to eat at. We liked that the beach is only 2 blocks away and they had towels and chairs to also use for free. The breakfast is encluded in the room rate and was great to get your day started. The bar has happy hour 2 for one drinks during the week that was a great deal. We got delicious frozen drinks,

« Condado Best Western Palm »

Very long wait for room (1 hour +) for room to be cleaned. Strong odor of mildew in room. On the last day of our stay, we were offered a room change. Breakfast choices were adequate but saucers were used for plates. Are they afraid we will eat too much?

    « Condado Best Western »

Henry was an awesome employee at the front desk. Smooth check in with a suite on the 17th floor facing the ocean. Just newly renovated with modern touch. Great balcony with marble tile that has a table and two chairs. Walking distance to the beach and many restaurants, buses and taxi's. Pool was very clean along with the property. Free WiFi and breakfast which was very good. Wasn't the same thing everyday. Will definitely return here again. Oh there is a friendly happy hour. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. If you need to buy yourself some things including some vino or other cocktails supplies you can purchase at Walgreen's across the street.

    5
« Loved our home away from home. »

Excellent place to stay. We were on the 17th floor overlooking the ocean. There was a busy street right below us but we didn't hear any excessive noise. There was a very nice beach within a 3 minute walk. The stores right across the streets were very convenient and have many items that you may have forgotten or need to snack on. The breakfast was great. It was a wee bit crowded as everyone wanted to eat at the same time, but there were no complaints. We would recommend this hotel.

    5
    « Great bartender »

My cousins stayed at this hotel. We joined them at the bar for happy hour. Pablo, the bartender, was amazing!!! He was alone in the bar and did an amazing job keeping up with the crowd!! And he kept his fun and friendly personality the whole time!!!

    « Super convenient! »

My wife and I stayed one night before a cruise and the location was spectacular. The beach was maybe two blocks away, there were drug stores on two corners for any last minute needs, and plenty of restaurants. A short taxi ride from the airport and a short taxi ride to the pier. The hotel does provide transfer to the pier but we chose to take a taxi but they did make sure our luggage made it to the ship, a huge plus! The room was sizable and clean, the pool was nice, a great little bar off the lobby plus an adequate breakfast to start the day. We would definitely stay there again should we be taking future cruises out of San Juan.

    « Great Hotel Location »

I enjoyed staying at the Best Western Plus Condado Palm Inn & Suites Hotel, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The hotel is located right in the heart of the Condado, with great restaurants of every possible type of cuisine to choose from. The night life is great with many night clubs to choose from, and if you enjoy gambling, I recommend the casino at the La Concha Renaissance San Juan Resort Hotel.

    5
    « Great Value, Location »

We spent two nights here pre-cruise and it was a great time. The hotel is well located, with restaurants within walking distance. The beach is just a block away and we had a great view of it from our room. The staff was very helpful and didn't hesitate to recommend places to go, things to do, and were just very cheerful to deal with. The breakfast each morning was an added bonus and we always found something to our liking. Would certainly stay here again and recommend to our friends.

« Fine Place to Stay »

We stayed here for two nights when we arrived in San Juan before leaving for our ultimate destination. We chose it because it was one of the more affordable options for our stay. The hotel was perfect for our needs. It's about two blocks from the beach and within walking distance (albeit a healthy walking distance) from San Juan. A full breakfast is included. Our room was comfortable and quiet. We found the staff very helpful.

    5
« Great Hotel After Cruise »

We stayed at this hotel after our cruise. Though we did have to wait for our room, we were able to check our bags in and explore the area. The hotel is a short walk, about a block, to the beach. Also, in either directions you walk you will find a ton of restaurants and shopping. The hotel offers free wifi. We waited in the lobby for a little while, where they had coffee and drinks available with plenty of seating. We found the staff very helpful whether recommending restaurants, to helping us acquire a cab to the airport early the next morning. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We would stay here again.

    « Great! »

We stayed here for one night before our cruise. It was centrally located in Condado just a block away from restaurants and the beach. The room was nice and the staff was very helpful. They provided a very nice continental breakfast. The bar in front was good and doubled as morning storage for travellers' luggage. They had a system in place to check your bags after checking out so you could go out and tour the area. Only negative was that there was no restaurant attached. There was, but it closed.

This hotel offers an excellent value. It is clean, comfortable, and it has a great continental breakfast. It is also very conveniently located. We will definitely come back to this hotel during our next trip to Puerto Rico!

« Great Place -Nicely Renovated »

Booked one night at this property and discovered it had become a Best Western from a former decadent hotel that closed, and we were impressed from the moment we walked into the lobby. They had the best rate in the area - considering all hotels were booked solid and even over booked due to extended holidays in PR . Pleasantly surprised to get a nice free breakfast. The room was spacious, bright, clean and we got a nice view of Ashford Ave. and also of the swimming pool area. The hotel has good security and the guest key is swiped to activate the elevators. With Walgreen across the street and CVS at the opposite corner it's a winning combination. Very positive experience overall, but sadly, we weren't vacationing but instead dealing with a family loss.It fulfilled it's purpose but couldn't stay another night due to being overbooked.

I love the service that has been provided to me and my co workers. The hotel staff goes out of there way to make our stay comfortable. With the perfect example about the lost of my glasses and when I called Rosa in the way she went out of her way it was so appreciated.

« great location and great staff »

this hotel made you feel right at home and the staff were so helpful in very way. the location is perfect for walking to local restaurants and the bus to Old San Juan is right on the corner .75 in and out of the town. The beach is half a block right at the end of the street easy walking distance.

« TRUST US!! WE LIVE IN PUERTO RICO!!! »

We are a gringo couple from Florida who have lived in PR for 8 months now. We have traveled all over the island and experienced much of the wonderful people and culture here!! For the price, you just can NOT beat this hotel!! We paid well under 200 for an ocean-view room which was a suite! These are converted apartments, appointed well, the entire North wall is Glass with a sliding glass door and balcony with desk and chairs. You have a nice flat screen in your bedroom and one in the living room that swivels out so you can watch TV on the balcony while enjoying cocktails and a nice cigar and enjoying the view! The hotel is just one block from the beach BUT THAT IS PERFECT!! Trust us....when you are ON the beach in surf season (which is NOW) you will HATE IT!! The waves are EXTEREMLY LOUD!! Sounds like somebody is throwing the couch around in the next room!!! In this hotel...the wave sounds are just right...you can hear them crashing, but it wont keep you up! We stayed in a hotel just down the beach a month ago, paid MUCH more and didn't receive NEAR the service!! The staff here from the girls at the desk, to the bartenders are just WONDERFUL!!!! You will NEVER find a hotel with an ocean view, for this price ANYWHERE!! Not in California, Florida, etc. Most of the guests were waiting on cruises and the cruise dock is only minutes away. The food right across the street is AMAZING!! We had Sushi right across the street and it was the best we've ever had (and we are Sushi snobs!)....It's the place right next to Condom World (which is a fun store with awesome cheap cigars!!...and condoms) . You can walk across the street to the Marriott where they have awesome LIVE huge Salsa band and AWESOME HUGE cocktails with great bartenders and dance the night away without having to pay 500 plus a night!!! This hotel will be our go to hotel on the East side of the island from now on!! While we were there we ran into a famous actress (Hi Brooke!!) who was staying there while they were filming a movie and we had a blast!! This place is a gem! If you are a super picky whiner type, you might not be so enthusiastic about the little things (like our bathroom door handle was installed upside down and you had to lift UP on it to open the door....BUT WHO CARES!!! This is PR.....you'll find stuff like that in the Marriott too!! But you will pay MUCH more for that option!!). We have stayed at HUNDREDS of hotels in the states and very few stack up against this one. Highly Recommended!!!

Very nice hotel. Very clean. Staff very friendly. Couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast selection excellent. Pool a bit small but very clean. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Directly across the road from 2 24 hour drug stores. Taxis available all the time, very little waiting.

    « A live hotel »

First time to Puerto Rico and i stayed 2 nights at Best Western.. The long trip and the full time schedule with my business, i never had the time to discover their fully potential.. The room was fine and clean.. I liked the bed.. A/C was very strong.. In this hotel, the life is 24 hrs.. People come and go.. Next to it, there are the beach, lots of restaurants and coffee/drinks, and a super market.. The stuff was very friendly.. As an European, i didnt like the breakfast.. We are not used to eat soups or some many sweets.. The prices, the first days at Puerto Rico was seem to me very expensive.. But, now i believe its regular (visit other places in Puerto Rico).

I did not sleep because of the noise at the pool. Kids playing at 2am, that is when I called front desk. Pool should be closed by midnight especially during the week. Room is in serious need of updating. Don't be fooled by the exquisite reception and bar areas.

Very busy hotel. Clean good rooms. With Balcony, just a side sea view. Close to beach and restaurants and shops. Helpful staff, reasonable breakfast. Swimming pool. Use of the hotels towels for the beach, hotel had its own spot the beach with sun beds you can also have the loan of their bicycles.

Had a great 4 day stay. Staff is fantastic....our room...the pool...free breakfast...convenient location....reasonable rates. Shout out to our cousin who kept food rolling for breakfast every day...the staff is what makes this place so special. Gracias. Hasta la proxima visita!

« Short walk to beach, nice hotel aminity »

We are pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade to suite. Even though the room has no ocean view, the balcony has. The room is clean and neat. The bed is very comfortable. We like the short walk to beach and had a good time there. Please note that the parking entrance is on rear of the hotel, The parking lot is shared with other users. To receive the guest rate of parking, a special form has to be obtained from the front desk before driving to the exit both.

    « Fabulous Staff »

The Best Western Palm Inn and Suites in Condado, PR is a nice, clean hotel. The best part of our stay was the fabulous staff. All front desk staff were friendly and helpful. They remembered our names, provided advice about activities and things to do, and made phone calls on our behalf. The excellent service the staff provide helped make our vacation a special one!

    « Top notch »

This motel was in the perfect location. It was only a short drive from the airport as well as the pier. We were within walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The staff at Best Western offered advice on places to eat. They also helped plan shore excursions during our stay. It was very clean! Our room was a bit noisy from the traffic outside, but our children stayed further back (still with an ocean view) and they heard nothing all night. I have recommended this to family and I would stay there again!

    « Great in everyway.!! »

We got checked in fast, the room was clean, the furniture in great conditions, the view was amazing in the 12th floor. The maid Coral was very nice and cleaned very good besides she found my phone that was lost in the room and left a nice note wishing me Merry Christmas.!! The beach was a 5 minutes walk. The breakfast was The breakfast buffet was fresh and real good... I will obviously stay again.!!!

    « Could be better »

I realize that this is a busy hotel because of the cruise ship traffic, but housekeeping could do a better job of cleaning the rooms, comped this room and was not treated very nicely by the front desk, they seemed to make sure that we were one of the last to get a room, all in all a 4 star hotel.

Jan 29th 2015 ..Before we moved back to Pennsylvania.. 2 days we stayed here.. we love our suite big spacious and we stayed the 15th floor ... we watch the sunset Beautiful. the breakfast very good.. the staff are great.. « good location - nice breakfast »

PROS very close to beach - one block very nice breakfast with multiple hot choices that changed daily nice sized rooms friendly staff discount drink coupons for bar at check in 24 hour pool lots of restaraunts and shops in walking distance large parking lot ($) CONS little run - down and showing wear in some places parking seemed a bit expensive noisy area little pricey

    « Noisy »

Too bright and noisy. South side of room had only see through shades and no curtains. Even the nights were too bright. Did not get enough sleep. Beeping noise all night apparently from a gate. Difficult to open balcony door and did not close properly.

    « Great for a family 3 to 4 stars »

For 189/night we got a suite on the 18th floor overlooking the ocean. We felt this was a good price for this area. It's a little old and could use some updating but for the price and location it fit the bill! The balcony was large and the view was great. They have chairs and towels on the beach for hotel guests only. On our 2nd day it took some prodding for the attendant to go and get more towels since they ran out - there were about 15 of us without towels - that was a little disappointing that he didn't think on his own to go get some! Breakfast was just okay - on the 2nd day they only had ham for a protein choice - everything else was a carb. They had cream cheese but no bagels...and toast but no peanut butter. Hopefully it was just an off day - but feel that a bit more protein could have been available. If you park be sure to let the office no right away - Use the Magnolia parking lot right behind the hotel. The front desk needs to give you a voucher so you can go in and out of the parking lot. Don't plan on sitting at the bar - we rarely saw it open - but there was a lot of options right out the door. We found a great pizza place right around the corner with brick oven pizza Di Zucchero...right across the street from CVS. Pool area is small and doesn't really get sun. Definitely spend the extra and get an ocean front - it was worth it.

    « Well-Situated Hotel, But Not 4-Star Property »

We booked the 18th floor suite of this hotel for New Year's Eve, and paid $$$ for it. Got a great view of fireworks, but compared to other four star or even three star hotels, this place felt pretty flimsy and shoddy. Our suite was beige and had bare walls and thin sheets. It's barely a step up from the kinds of hotels you stay in when you're on a road trip in America. I guess I was expecting a grander feel, but that's not what this place is about. Friendly staff and one of those depressing breakfasts I've eaten at roadside hotels many times. But it's a short walk to the beach, so if that's what you're looking for, go for it.

« Big Room, Amazing Views at Half Price of Nearby 5 Star Hotels »

The Best Western Condado Palms is in my opinion the best deal in San Juan. Situated across the street from the same beach as five star hotels The Marriott, La Concha and The Vanderbuilt, in the ritzy Condado area of San Juan, I reserved an upper floor suite at The Best Western for roughly half their price and likely a larger room than all of them. On top of that the views, especially from the upper floors are amazing panoramas of the beach/ocean and the city. Thanks especially to their manager, Henry Newman, who granted me an extra discount on an additional night I booked and for his very attentive staff for making our stay such a great one. I would recommend this hotel, especially the suites, for anyone that wants a great hotel room in the nicest part of town at a great price. Thanks again!

    « Nice »

We spent 4 days and 3 nights at the BW Condado. It was good, could have been better but good! Ask about the tax when booking as its a wee bit high but they took care of us. The beach club was nice and the attendant kind. Brought us chairs and set us up. Talked with us about sights to see. On leaving they walked through all the expenses and were kind when dealing with the tax issue. Although I wasn't happy they felt sympathetic.

« Good location, a little too pricy »

Very good location, quite clean room, but the interior is quite old and the bed is very uncomfortable, I couldn't fall sleep well at night. The breakfast turnover is slow so dishes or forks are often run out.

« Excellent stay at a great rate!! »

Outstanding Staff! Very polite congenial, helpful. Always a smile, makes you feel welcome!Hotel in near excellent condition in a convenient location one block from the public beach. Exceelent room and service!! A MUST STAY!!!!

« Really good value for the location »

Spent five nights here with our family of four. Got one of the oceanview king suites and were glad we did. The units are very big, with a kitchenette area. We had two of us in the king, one kid on the sofa bed and another kid on an air mattress we brought. Even with that, we still had room to spread out. King bed is round a corner, so some privacy, but not a separate room. View from the balcony was good -- we were on the 15th floor. Didn't really like the breakfast much, but ok. Location is excellent -- one block from a sandy beach, CVS and Walgreens across the street (we laughed when other reviews mentioned that, but it's incredibly handy for all those little purchases), Starbucks round the corner that opens at 6am if you need to be out early, and easy walk along Avenida Ashford to everyhting in Condado. Wifi was good, and free. Very happy indeed.

    « Best (worst) Western »

The hotel lobby look nice compared to the room. Once you get out of the elevator the smell was musty and moldy. The room was looking dated and not clean. The light fixtures were rusty, paint was peeling all over the room. The room has a lot of storage space. That bathroom was looking dirty and even had bugs. The hotel have good location close to shops and restaurants. The breakfast was ok but I will not consider that was free. The hotel charge a hotel fee of $ 48 per day. The pool is really small as well as the gym. The parking is far from location with an additional price tag. The staff is friendly. We don't recommend the hotel.

    3
« Good for one night before/after cruise »

Looking for a decent hotel before or after cruise? This one fits the bill for location. However, cost is a bit steep but it does include a breakfast which saves some money at that end. It is located directly across from 2 pharmacies, so great for last minute items that you may have forgotten. Hotel is a bit shabby (peeling paint, musty odour, not as clean as one would hope for), but for a one night stay....doable.

    4
    « Reasonable and comfortable »

The quality of accommodation was very reasonable. Kids enjoyed the pool even after experience in the beach. On the other hand, we were frustrated from bad-mannered guests who put foods near the pool that resulted in contamination.

« Good location but noisy. »

We stayed at this hotel on a Sunday into a Monday. It is in the Condado area, a nice up-market area of San Juan. The good: Clean, roomy, good service, nice breakfast selection. Good location for beach, shops and restaurants. The bad: Our bad experience was one of noise. The traffic in the area from about 3pm through to 1am was gridlock. For some reason the PR's love their car horns which come in many different variations. The younger set obviously like to let you know how much they love their music and blare it out their cars. Sadly the room we had in the 8th floor did not have any soundproofing so we heard it all right through until about 3am. We closed all the windows as tight as we could but then it gets hot, so the a/c has to come on which is also quite noisy.

« Great hotel in a great location »

If you are looking for a nice clean hotel with great amenities, great service, location and value, this is the place. It's right off the main street and one block from the beach. At the beach you are provided with complimentary beach chairs and towels. Wonderful restaurants, such as Orozco, is on the next block. This hotel also provides you with a wonderful hot breakfast, complimentary to all guests. There is a small outdoor pool, but you have the ocean one block away. The service here is very attentive and exceptional. Considering the hotel rates and all the amenities, staying here is exceptional value. I will definitely stay here again.

    « The BEST »

We stayed there for one night. Our stay was wonderful. Mr. Henry Neumann and his staff were the best. The view from room 1810 was fabulous. There were great places to eat food, CVS and Walgreen were around the corner. The hotel was not far from the port if you were to take a cruise. In fact, you can see the Carnival Liberty Cruise Ship from the balcony on a Sunday morning. The view of the ocean and see the reef where the surf broke was awesome!! We wished that we could have stayed there much longer, but I will be back. Take care. Alvin

« Very nice stay at Best Western PLUS Condado Palm Inn & Suites »

Enjoyable stay with excellent service! I would stay at this hotel again. My only complaint was regarding the breakfast. Although the breakfast was free,I feel that the quality of the food was subpar. Everyone in my party of 10 agreed that there should have been a better selection. Despite the breakfast, I would still recommend this hotel to friends and family. It's a great value.

    2
    « stayed 1 night pre-cruise »

It is good location, rooms are OK for 2 star hotel level. I want to warn people that they are charging extra 'Hotel tariff' which is 20% tax in addition to regular tax of 11%. I never saw taxes more then 30% of the rate. I talked on the phone before making reservation on the website, it was never mentioned. With added taxes the price is too high for the quality of the hotel.

« San Juan Best Western »

I am a Platinum member and usually stay at Best Western. I used my points for the one night stay. San Juan is a nice city, but the hotel is quite old and smells. But if you just need one night, then it was okay. The room appeared to be clean and the bed was good, the window views was not good. The elevators are slow and the traffic during this time of the year was so bad the taxi driver dropped us off at the Marriott and we walked with our luggage at least one block to get the hotel entrance. Breakfast was not good and wasn't very inviting. Had some yogurt. I will say a lot of people like me were there for one night prior to our departure on the cruise ship. It was not a bad thing, but would not fly to San Juan and stay there.

    4
    « Good for a quick trip »

Hotel rooms were small but very clean and comfortable. Hotel staff was great at suggesting local places to eat and do things. In a GREAT location! Everything was within walking distance and it was about a 10 min can ride to the airport and to old San Juan. We were only there 3 nights and we were really only there to sleep at night so it was good. If you're staying longer, maybe not the best since the rooms are small BUT it perfect for a short trip.

    3
« Nice, Convenient, Great Location »

We stayed here for several days after our cruise. It was located about 20 minutes from the Pan American cruise terminal and cost $14 plus $1 per suit case. Cruise ship docked on a Sunday and we stayed here until Tuesday. Location was great. 5 minute walk from the beach. Staff very knowledgeable about the area, local transportation and tours. We would definitely stay again.

    « Business Trip. »

I have used this hotel several times, at least 4 times a year for the last two years, they have made some improvements but, the one thing they need to work on is their dining, there is nothing for you to eat at this place unless you get up to eat their breakfast. No lunch or diner are served at this hotel. The bar has no snacks.. I am talking nothing to eat. The good part about this Hotel is that it is at a great location. There are many restaurants and bars in walking distance. Their check in and check out service could improve as well. They always seem to be short handed. The price is good for where they are located. Overall if you are just looking for a place to sleep this is the place for you, if you want to invite a customer or someone to cove over to meet you for diner... not the place for you.

    « Bugs in bathroom »

We stayed one night before our cruise. The front desk people were very nice but we had bugs in our bathroom. We were told they were doing construction next door and the bugs were in the wall, It took awhile but received full refund.

    « Highly Recommended »

I loved this place. I arrived early in the morning and really appreciated being let into the room to rest and get ready for the day. The room was on a higher floor, spacious, very comfortable, bright, and with a breathtaking view of the ocean and city. Location is perfect in the heart of Condado that comes to life at night, a block from the beach and close to Santurce and Old San Juan. The best part, however, was the service. The wonderful, hospitable staff really made my stay very memorable. The only thing that could be improved is breakfast - it's basic and bread heavy; some fruit would be a nice addition. Can't wait to come back.

    « Old Hotel »

I don't know what we did to cause us to be given the room we got, but somebody must not have liked us. It was in the front corner of the hotel, on the second floor. So noisy! It's on a very busy street, and you can hear everything that goes on outside. The lobby was so modern and nice. We were shocked at the smell that assaulted our nostrils as soon as the elevator door opened on the second floor. Old, smelly, musty! Nothing like the pretty lobby! Our room was clean, but still had a musty smell. If you choose to stay here, ask to be located somewhere other than the second floor, facing the street!. The staff at the front desk, especially Janice , the concierge, and the night clerk were very friendly and helpful.

    « Annual Ladies Trip »

Three of my girlfriends and I went on a getaway to San Juan and decided to stay in this hotel because we got a great package deal from Expedia. We liked that it was near the beach and in a very walkable neighborhood. The hotel is an older one but if you are budget conscious, it works very well because it includes free breakfast and wifi. The breakfast was surprisingly good; I discovered that I liked oatmeal while I was there. It tended to get crowded at certain times but the staff kept refilling the dishes. The lobby is very modern looking with a relaxing aquarium. The room was adequate but the bathroom could have used more updating. The housekeeping left a lot to be desired because we found hairs in the sheets on both beds. We contacted the front desk and they sent up two folks to change them but they did not seem happy about doing it. Also, the tub didn't appear to be cleaned while we were there. There is a coin laundry onsite which is helpful for families. There is a wonderful burger joint down the street called "The Place" that has wonderful food. I don't think I would stay again but it's not out of the question if we got a great deal.

« Nice hotel in a nice area »

Good hotel, very close to the beach, a lot of places to go eat near. Rooms are a bit small, and if you have a car / rental it will cost you to park it. I was at the second floor in room 215 and there was a lot of noise from maybe another room, I heard all of the times the next door neighbor went to the restroom.

« Budget hotel charging mainstream prices »

This hotel is centrally located in Condado which is a strong plus. But is basically a vertical Best Western motel. It is a classic case of over promising and under delivering. The bathroom is outdated and the carpet was dirty ane worn for this price point. Plus, you get the sense there is no management on site to set a standard. There was an inebriated guest who was running in and out of the the hotel lobby bar with only swim trunks and flip flops in the evening. Not a sight for families with children.

« Comfortable and Convenient Stay! »

My family and I stayed here for one night and it was comfortable, neat and well refurbished! Everything you need for an overnight stay is in walking distance. Complete make over from the previous Diamond Palace. Staff was super friendly and well trained. But my big thumbs up goes to the Lost and Found Department! I left a personal effect in my room and Mr. Henry Neumann made it a priority to get my belongings back to me. Now this is not the first time I've left something in a hotel room. But this is however, the first time I've gotten anything back! So thank you THANK YOU Mr. Neumann and your team for your kind assistance! I would most definitely recommend this hotel!

    « Nice hotel »

I recommend the Condado area. Very nice and safe. We walked at night and felt safe everywhere. Staff was great and facilities was very good. Once thing I will recommend is that the hotel promotes the fact that they can coordinate tours for you. We didn't know this and we spent time driving around town when we could have spent more time having fun. Puerto Rico is a beautiful place. If I had to find something to complain about it would be the fact that the eggs were slightly over cooked one day. Other than that, the free breakfast was a selling point for us.

    4
    « Our honeymoon »

Overall the hotel is in a great location, the price is right and the staff is well trained. It would be better if the facility has its own parking lot, but anyways is right next to the hotel. The beach is at walk distance and the hotel have their own chairs for their guests.

The last day of our trip we stayed at this hotel which was really great, the staff was amazing, the only thing that I didn't like was that the parking had a cost, but besides that it's was really great, the breakfast witch was included was delicious and it's really near to the beach!

    « Best Western »

The vibe is more Puerto Rico than Ashford Ave. Condado. It's not a hotel you can see the ocean from your window, you see another building. The staff is good, the hotel is clean, the furniture is dated, the rooms are small, it's cozy and the price is right. They have parking, access is easy.

« Great location and helpful staff!!! »

We stayed at the best western the first week in November. It was a great experience from beginning till end. Only minor problems such as our first room was on the second floor the first day we got up the carpet was down wet.. And traveling with small kids o e with asthma that was a concern to me. I got help from Anthony at the front desk he was really nice n got us a room on the fourth floor. The rooms were ok breakfast was Hmmm I guess alright.. But location is everything,!! We are planning to go back for the summer I can't wait !!!!!!!

    « Comfortable, Cozy, Convenient »

I had a great stay at this location! I visit the Condado area often and thought about trying a new hotel. Not a bad choice for sure! The location was great. CVS and Walgreens right across the street if you need anything, tons of restaurants nearby, and the beach is less than a minute away by foot. The room had a welcoming feel to it. I also had an amazing view from the room's balcony. The flatscreen TV was a nice touch. The bed was very cozy and I slept like a baby. The bathroom was clean and I felt comfortable here for my one night stay. I will be staying here again for my longer trips as well! The wifi also worked well!

    « Nice hotel »

We stayed on the 3rd floor. Everything is nice except that there is almost no ocean view in the room because of a high building in front of the hotel. I think if you want a decent ocean view you should go to very high floors. Fast check out was nice. Convenient location with 2 big stores just downstairs. Near to beach, just a 2 min walk. If you go to beach, you can get towels from front desk, which is nice.

    4

This hotel is within close distance to the beach. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great for the price of the hotel. The food is comparably different to Embassy Suites buffet, but embassy is farther from the condado main beaches.

    « Good Location »

Not fancy, but clean and economical. Good location near the beach and restaurants. Comfortable beds and adequate continental type breakfast. Would probably stay a second time if returning to San Juan.

The staff is friendly, the accomodations clean and adequate. It is within walking distance of the beach, close to shopping and restaurants. It would be nice if they offered shuttle service to and from the airport as most large chain hotels do.

the hotel was delightfully clean and has highly hospitable people managing whether it is front desk or room service. A high end location. its more than worth the money. The breakfast was diverse and hot too!

« Short stay before boarding our cruise ship »

Excellent location for a few days in San Juan. It is a couple blocks to a wonderful beach. The staff is excellent and very friendly. They gave us a late check out for us to go right to our ship. Lots of restaurants right around the area. I would use this hotel again. We walked to Old San Juan from the hotel. It was about a 1 mile but a beautiful walk.

« A great location and and an even better bargan »

I was looking at other hotels in the area. The best Western offered the best view, best location, all at a reasonable price. I had a suite, with water-view and it was half the cost of a town-view room at other hotels.

« Best place to stay in Puerto Rico »

Excellent customer service and superb place to stay. You guys exceeded our expectations and made our trip for our 10 wedding anniversary even more special. The hotel is in a very safe and fun area within walking distance to everything. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the balcony in our room and could hear and see the ocean. Beautiful sunrise and sunset. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. We will return very soon.

    « Better & better! »

Have been coming here for years & it's gotten better with Best Western ownership. They continue to renovate the hotel - I prefer the north tower. In this last visit they had upgraded their security including the elevator. The parking is behind that hotel & although not free it is safe & the area is lacking in parking space so this was convenient. The free continental breakfast had a good variety & got your day started. The staff is of course bilingual & very professional, nice & informative. Free internet access & ocean views from both towers. Small pool & a bar to relax in after a long day enjoying the beach, shopping or touring the island. The hotel is located on the main street in the Condado area with buses available to Old San Juan & other areas. Restaurants & shops line this main street, as well as other hotels with additional restaurants & a casino. Hard Rock Cafe is coming back to the island & will be a short walk away. Although it's not ocean front, it's affordable, clean & a pleasure to stay at.

« Fantastic property, Well maintained and managed. Would highly recommend! »

We had the privilege of staying at this hotel from 11/8-11/10/15. I wrote to Mr. Neumann prior to our stay, telling him that we would be arriving early from de-embarking from our cruise, and asking if the hotel could hold our luggage. I also mentioned that this was our anniversary vacation, and whether he could recommend any local restaurants for an anniversary dinner. Mr Neumann got back to me very promptly with an upgrade to a suite(on the 18th floor facing the ocean), and had Angel(the tour guide personnel and local restaurateur expert) send me many wonderful suggestions. Upon our arrival, Jibran greeted us warmly, and advised us that our room wouldn't be ready much before check in time of 3:00 , but took our cell phone number in case it was ready early( and it was ready at 2:00!) We packed bathing suits in a carry on and were encouraged to change in the clean restrooms in the lobby. We had lunch, and then went swimming, and our suite was ready. The suite was fantastic with just some minor issues. The water pressure was slightly off and when I notified the front desk prior to supper, they arranged to have someone come and fix it while we were dining. Also, the safe in the room didn't work with our credit card, and maintenance advised us not to use a credit card, but rather use a number code. Bedding is soft, and the towels given were plentiful. No calling down to housekeeping to send up extra bath towels. A first for this reviewer! I would like to see a "green" program introduced. I believe that I could use a towel more than once. If I hang it up, please don't replace it, but if it is on the floor, please replace it with a fresh one. The facilities are extremely well maintained. The pool is very clean, but some umbrellas would be welcome for those who would like to get out of the sun during the morning hours. By 2:00pm, the pool area is nicely shaded. Breakfast is a beautiful hot buffet. Oatmeal, cream of wheat, eggs, ham, pancakes, toast, bagel, and three different varieties of dry cereal are offered daily. In addition, they also have juice, coffee, apples, applesauce, and yogurt. Coffee, both regular and decaf are available 24/7 and are refilled during the day. Tea bags are also available. There is a CVS on on corner and a Walgreen on the other. There is a bar on site with three TV's, and they also have three computers and a printer which made it very easy to print out our boarding passes. They are about one block from the beach, and very close to many great restaurants(which I will be reviewing as well!). Can't wait to come back.

    « Girls Trip »

Great hotel, great location being only 1 block from beach and right on the main road with access to so many great places to eat. The Best Western Plus offers a hearty breakfast buffet daily, pools that we didn't visit & a Computer area for surfing or printing and a wonderful staff. Everyone was so incredibly nice and very helpful. Not a single moment did we have issues. In fact we asked if our room had a beach view upon check in and without hesitation, he was able to change our location the very next morning... A big thank you to the Staff for being exactly what I hoped to find... Top Notch!

« Excellent Stay in San Juan »

The Best Western Plus Condado Palm in San Juan, Puerto Rico is excellent! My wife and I have visited the hotel twice. Our first visit was in 2013 and we just visited again in November 2015. Each time the staff went above and beyond the call of duty and exceeded my expectations for service and hospitality. The suites are beautiful and very spacious. They have a full sized refrigerator, microwave, dishes, and silverware so you can make light meals in the room. The suites have two flat screen TV's ? one in the living room and one in the bedroom. The balcony has either a full or partial view of the ocean ? depending on the room. They also include breakfast in the morning. They have a Manager's Happy Hour on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM with free drinks. One of the biggest bonuses for me was their internet ? I clocked it at 20 Mbps for downloads and 22 Mbps for uploads. That's the fastest I've clocked the internet at any hotel and was a real plus for me to have such high speed access. I have to make a special mention regarding their Guest Services Manager ? Carlos Camacho-Rosado. He is fabulous! He helped us with room and tour reservations and made our stay very enjoyable. I would highly recommend that you reach out to him for any assistance that you need while staying in Puerto Rico. The General Manager, Henry Neumann, is also very helpful and ensures that every detail of your stay is handled with professionalism and pride in his work. I highly recommend the Best Western Plus Condado Palm in San Juan Puerto Rico.

    « Pleasantly surprised »

I stayed here with a group of friends for a bachelorette party. There was enough space for 3 to a room without feeling too cramped. The beach is close, but you do have to walk (just a little bit) to get to the hotel's area where they provide chairs and towels. Breakfast was okay. There are restaurants within walking distance and we made use of the Walgreens right across the street. Cabs are pretty much always waiting outside. Overall, I would stay here again.

« Nice place to stay prior to a cruise »

This is not a fancy hotel but it is clean and nice. The location is great for beach and airport access. The room was clean and well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and well as wifi. The hotel is about a block from Condado beach and close to restaurants and shopping.

« Convenient, comfortable and affordable accommodations »

Our first impression of the hotel was quite favorable. Lobby and adjacent areas very open clean and inviting, and staff were very helpful. Our room was quite adequate, but perhaps could use a bit of updating. Breakfast area was clean, convenient and spacious with a nice array of different foods. Management was excellent in addressing some minor problems as were other employees also. Bar is comfortable and inviting with a great bartender. The staff provided information helpful to our stay and there were many amenities such as Free chaises for guests on the beach which is slightly more than a block away and beautiful. Free bicycles and more. Taxis were summoned or available right in front of the hotel as needed and one half block away was a bus that takes you to San Juan for only 75¢ (cash) Compared to some other hotel stays, this one is a hidden gem.

    « Too Much Noise »

Room next door under renovation, too much noise and vibration during the day.Small bathroom. Centrally located, one block from the beach. Walk to many venues, Short bus ride to Old San Jaun. Nice views from upper floors.

« Nice hotel, nice rooms, great service. Close to the beach, but the location wasn't great for us. »

This was a last minute booking day-of. Our experience at the hotel itself was great. Unfortunately, the nightclub(s) that we were interested in going to were in Old San Juan, while other areas of interest were in Isla Verde. So we sort of ended up inconveniently far from everything we wanted, without being close to anything of interest for us besides the beach itself. However if the Condado area is for you, then I definitely recommend the Best Western.

« Just what we needed! »

Check in was awesome - staff is absolutely wonderful. Young woman behind the desk was so friendly and helpful - gave us a great restaurant recommendation for dinner. Room was good sized and CLEAN. Bed was comfy. Only stayed one night before a cruise, but it was exactly what we needed. Walking distance to restaurants and stores (across the street from Walgreens and CVS which was NICE). Plenty of cabs and free shuttle from Royal Caribbean. Breakfast was really nice with plenty of seating. PLUS two-for-one happy hour rum drinks in the hotel bar - what more can you ask for? It's just a good deal!

« Staff goes above and beyond »

We had an issue with our AC but the front desk staff was so helpful and so quick to resolve the issue that we felt better right away. The rooms are a little shabby but housekeeping does a great job keeping them clean and well stocked. The hotel is very close to all of the bars and restaurants and there is a 24 hr walgreens right across the street.

    « Birthday »

This Hotel is a block from the beach. They offer a beach club. Sadly it does not have parking so you will need to find parking on the street. However the area is safe and there are also two drug stores across from the hotel in case you need to buy something you might've forgotten back home. The stay was great. Room was clean and balcony was a plus since we are smokers :).

« Right in the Middle of the Action! »

BWPCP is right in the middle of everything you need for a great stay and LOTS to do! A block away from the beach. Hard Rock Cafe will be opening soon around the corner. Across from a Walgreens drug store for last minute needs. Taxis right out your front door. Good restaurants and shops nearby. Try here!

Yesss, this is the best. The employees at this hotel are so friendly and very professional. Thank you Carlos for all your attentions, Jihan, Misael, Alexandra, Amanda, Yamilett, Jean Paul, Bernardo, Raiza, and Giselle make me feel like home. My suite was very clean and amazing as always, thanks Yaymari and had a beautiful ocean view. I highly recommended tourist to stay in this hotel, which is a short distance from the beach. This Hotel has parking and I feel safe. Thanks Josuan, Omar, Kenidia and Wallace for a really good buffet breakfast with a lot of options. The oatmeal is very good and there is cereal, fruits, yogurt, juice, milk, coffee scramble eggs, bacon, hash brown, pancakes, different breads and pastries. This Hotel is close to the airport and Walgreens and CVS is across the street and there are a lot of different kind of restaurants. Thanks Mr. Henry Neumann and Mrs. Rosa Desarden for an excellent team and all your attentions, you really make me feel like home.

    « I will be back »

I had to stay the night in San Juan and catch an early AM flight. Condado Palm was excellent! It is near everything including the beach, good food, pubs, nightlife, etc.. The staff was super friendly and the price was very affordable. I took advantage of the hotel gym, pool, and the complimentary breakfast; all better than most. Taxi service is non-stop in front of the hotel so there was no problem getting to the airport (around $20). I want to go back soon and stay longer to really enjoy the Condado area.

« Nice Hotel, Great location »

Conveniently located close to beach and lots of restaurants, Walgreens and CVS (for that last minute wine for cruisers). Nice rooms and pool area. Breakfast only average. 15 minutes from airport and also to cruise port. There was no one to help with luggage when I was there which was a little inconvenient for me.

« Don't stay on the second floor and secure any important or expensive items »

We were traveling for a week vacation. The employees at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. However, the evening of our first night, we found a roach in our room. We were on the second floor which is level to the ceiling of the lobby so bugs were more prone to get into hotel rooms on this floor. We were moved to the 5th floor where I noticed a dead bedbug on the desk in the room and the sheets on one of the beds had a huge brown stain. They changed the sheets and I checked every corner and crevice for live bedbugs and didn't find any. Because of the hassle of moving once, we decided to stay in this room. It was sometime after the move that I noticed my makeup case with all new makeup was missing. Called the front desk and the couldn't find it. On the last day of our trip, one member of our group discovered that her kindle tablet was missing. We called for the manager to come to the room. He brought with him, the housekeeper that cleaned our room each day and I noticed how she had quite a bit of shimmery makeup on (suspiciously like the kind I was missing). The manager asked us to file a report so that the hotel manager could do an investigation. Long story short, they fired the housekeeper and gave us $120 for the kindle. They also gave us a partial refund for the room since we had to change rooms. I have to say, I loved the location (a block from the beach) and the check-in staff who were very helpful and knowledgable regarding the area giving us ideas of good places to dine. Simply because of how many issues we had during our stay, I wouldn't stay here again but I wouldn't necessarily suggest that you don't. You may have a better experience than me.

    « Clean and friendly »

Staff extremely courteous and helpful, Clean and great location. Free continental breakfast was above and beyond anything we had ever had! « Honeymoon Pre Cruise Stay »

Myself and my new hubby stayed here for a few nights before our cruise. We were on the 15th floor..great views overlooking the sea and as it was a suite, the room was massive! Very impressed. Bed was comfortable and the lounge area and balcony were fantastic. Breakfast in the morning was lovely. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Bar within hotel was great with relaxed atmosphere. Pool area we found quiet which was lovely. Hotel is situated very close to shops, restaurants and bars (as well as the beach). Around $22 to airport and $18 to cruise terminal. Lots of taxi's outside. Would highly recommend.

    « 3 night stay before Cruise »

We stayed here fot three nights prior to a cruise. We were all very satisfied with this hotel. The rooms are quite large with all the usual amenities. Nice toiletries, coffee machine, fridge, iron, hairdryer, etc Great location close to the beach and lots of restaurants within walking distance. There is a Walgreens and CVS right across the road. These both sell everything you may have forgotten. Room rate includes a Buffet Breakfast which is adequate but not stunning. Not much choice if you're a vegetarian as eggs are only supplied every other day. The free wifi was superb. Didn't drop out at all. The outdoor pool is ok but a bit small. All in all, we were pleased with this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

The Best Western Plus Condado is a very nice hotel in an excellent location. The beach is only a block and a half away! « Pre-Cruise Visit »

Stayed at Best Western Plus at Candado beach for 2 days before our cruise. Nice hotel located about a block away from the beach, not on the waterfront. It's a very short walk to the beach and they do have a reserved section for Best Western guests, just have to show your room card for free chairs and towels. The hotel is convenient to the Candado beach area with several shops and restaurants close by as well as 2 different casinos. There is a CVS on one corner and a Wallgreens on another next to the hotel. Not like the stores in the states (at least not NY state), they have everything you can imagine including beer, wine and liquor. Our room was good size with a balcony overlooking the pool. The pool area was very nice and had a small pool area for children. They serve a hot breakfast buffet for guests each morning which was very good, not huge but food was hot and made fresh. Check in was fast and easy and the staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. It's about 15 to 20 minutes to the airport, about $22 cab ride. The beach was great but at least when we were there the water was pretty rough, breaking waves would easily knock you down. All in all this is a nice place to stay.

« Value for Money Accommodation in Condado »

I stayed at San Juan for 3 nights to explore around San Juan. This hotel is conveniently located with friendly staff and comfortable and spacious room! Condado beach is just one block away, and the hotel provide free beach chairs for use. You can also use their free bicycle to explore the city and old San Juan. Lots of restaurants nearby offering great variety of cuisines. The free breakfast provided is a standard one, but it's good enough to feed your stomach.

    « Nice hotel »

Hi, I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights four days during July. It was a pleasant stay. We were in south tower with a partial view of ocean. The breakfast was absolutely lovely. There is a car rental place close to here and a bus stop just across the street. But renting a car is ideal option since the frequency of buses are not so good, although they are highly economical if you are on budget. Couple of good places to eat around this hotel and with $ 18 - $22 taxi fare, a lot of good places to see nearby. The beach is right across street.

« Excellent Hotel and Excellent Location »

We stayed two nights and I am actually writing this review from the complimentary computer center. Our room (1008 South Tower) was spotless, the AC hummed beautifully and kept us very comfortable. The lobby, onsite bar and complimentary breakfast were all clean and the staff extremely friendly. We walked every night to the wonderful selection of restaurants in the area and enjoyed all our meals. The beach is maybe a block or two away.

« Save Money and Get the Same Location Convenience »

If you're looking to save money in expensive touristy San Juan but you want to stay somewhere with nice quality (not a hole in the wall), then this is the place to be! Walgreens is directly across the entrance of the hotel and straight to the right of the hotel is CVS. PROS: - You have the same convenience and location advantage as the Marriott, near all the major restaurants, beach side and shops but you save so much more. Like a 5 minute walking distance away from Condado Beach. - Includes daily breakfast, an open gym, WI-FI and computer use is included. Get there early for breakfast because it goes fast. All hotel staff are super friendly. At this hotel is a gym, 3 public computers, tiny pool and very nice rooms. There aren't really any cons other than it's not as "fancy" but it is nice. TIPS: 1. GET THE BLUE PARKING VOUCHER THE FIRST DAY YOU GET A RENTAL CAR! The front desk deals with so many people, they don't remember to tell you about the blue parking voucher to avoid the $35 a day hit. Staying at the Best Western your daily parking rate is reduced to like $16/day. 2. The Best Western Parking lot is Magdalena parking, located directly BEHIND the hotel. It was hard to find at first because of the one-way streets. When you drive pass the Walgreens, take a left at the next light and you'll see it on the left.

    5
    « Great Location »

This is a great location. 1 block away from the beach. Walgreen's is right across the street the street from the hotel. Which will have everything you need including liquor. The breakfast is pretty good. If you're looking to try something new, there are a lot of restaurants near by.

    5
    « A Good Value »

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights with our kids. The location was nice as there is a Walgreen's next door, several dinner options on the street, and the beach is an easy walk down the block. There is free wifi and the free hot breakfast was surprisingly good. The front desk staff, which were the only folks we really interacted with, were amazing and super helpful. There are certainly nicer hotels in the area, but the value offered here fit the bill for us.

    « Best of Condada »

I loved the hotel. The room could use some updating but wasn't terrible. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I loved the location and the city was incredible. It was close to the beach, walking distance to lots of great restaurants and the community felt very safe.

« Not up to BW standards »

I had read the reviews and usually like Best Westerns brand. Disappointed from the minute we opened the room 610 door. This room was located in the North Tower with a slight view of the ocean. A king room with barely enough room to walk around the bed. The bathroom is also small, only one person at a time. The pool was small too. The breakfast was adequate. The hotel was clean, but needs updating.

Getting to the hotel ...

All directions
·From: Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. Head northwest when exiting the airport. Make a slight right and take the ramp to Interstate PR-26. Keep left at the fork and merge onto Interstate PR-26. Keep on straight for about five miles then take the bypass to Condado Centro. Turn right onto Condado Avenue. The BEST WESTERN PLUS Condado Palm Inn & Suites will be on your right.
