« Welcome to St. Catharines, Ontario »

Stayed for 3 nights at the Best Western. friendly staff. Ample parking and convenient access to all parts of the hotel. Large pool and hot tub. Recreation area is good. Also has great restaurant attached to the hotel. Wide variety of food from steak, burgers to great appetizers. This is also where morning complimentary breakfast is held. Rooms were clean, smelled good and the overall service was good.

    « NOT IMPRESSED !! »

Checked in on Nov 4th Checked out on Nov 6th. Stayed on the 2nd floor. Walked in my room went to unpack , noticed the closet sliding door was off it's track and was not working so I called down to the front desk and said they would have someone fix it. Later , I noticed later that my door to the room was not locking as I exited. I called down because my room door lock was not working properly. When I exited the door would NOT close behind me I had to insert my card and then pull the door closed from outside. I had someone come up and look at it ,he said sorry it was the old lock but never fixed it. On Saturday morning I called down for towels which were brought up quickly. Thank You. I left the hotel at 10:00 am with NO signs up that said DO NOT DISTURB so that my room would get cleaned and beds made. I came back at 3 pm , beds were still a mess all 3 garbages were still full and dirty towels were on the floor in the bathroom. I called the front to ask why they said someone will come up , I said I am leaving in 30 minutes , the front desk said I do not need to be there. I came back at 8 pm to a door that was left open. I had both keys so my young daughter who was with me could NOT have entered. The beds were still unmade and 1 of the garbages was still over - flowing and the dirty towels were still in the bathroom. I called to ask why my door was left open ??? Answer was I don't know. I told them a garbage needed to be emptied and threw the dirty towels in the hall , was I upset ? YES !!!! a A male came up to empty the garbage and bring fresh towels , I questioned him about the door being left open. He said it was him that emptied the garbage and walked out , he said he didn't realize the door lock was not working properly , the same door and lock which I had called the previous day about. I have never complained about a hotel prior to this but have to about my stay. My closet door was broken and was still broken and off it's tracks when I left. Beds were never made , garbages I had to call more than once to have emptied. The door's problems will now be someone else's . I just feel for $ 119 per night + taxes a little better service was and should be given to it's customers. Oh ya DO NOT order the chicken wings in the restaurant. I think they are heated up in a microwave. Also my friend said the Beef Dip was also very poor. Order a Pizza !!!! I have stayed at BW many times and have never had a problem. Maybe it was a full moon. Very unsatisfied this time.

« Clean, big and cllse to everything »

We stayed here for a family wedding. The gotel itself was huge! It was a courtyard with a pool and minigolf. Rooms were nothing special but werr clean and had everything we needed. The breakfsst was amazing and all you can eat which is always good. There werr separate entrances which made it easier to get to your room since the hotel was so large. Over all great stay and exceeded my expectations!!

« Very nice pet friendly hotel »

We stayed overnight to visit a friend in the area and had an excellent stay. From the staff to the facilities and the great selection at the hot breakfast we enjoyed everything. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

    « A bit expensive »

The place is about a 15 mind drive to Niagara. The rooms were large with a refrigerator and coffee maker. The beds were comfortable. However the rooms do not have a view. The restaurant is decent and open till midnight. Room service is also available .

    « good hotel »

Good hotel, very good breakfast. Try to stay off of floor sport teams are on...Great location to get to falls, canal, shopping and places to eat. though close to highway, that noise was not a problem.

    2
    « Tired hotel »

The hotel itself is tired and the rooms were run down. The linens were very clean and the staff was very friendly. The room was quiet with no traffic noise. We stayed there because dogs were allowed and there was a convenient area to walk our dog.

    3
    « Good Location »

We stayed at the Best Western for a family wedding held nearby and were very pleased it was located so close to the highway. It was easy to locate and close to many stores and restaurants. Our room was clean and comfortable and we liked that the hotel was only two levels. The breakfast had a nice variety and the staff were very friendly.

    4
« A great stop along the way »

Great value! Friendly staff. Hot tub and steam room were not operational on first night. Breakfast was very good and room was everything we expected. Location is convenient along the highway, but not very inspiring for the same reason. Hotel is only two levels, so that's a difference too - no view per se.

    5
    « Excellent Location! »

This hotel is located right off the highway, only 15 minutes from Niagara Falls and Brock U. The Sports Bar restaurant is a great choice although other restaurants/bars are also within walking. Costco and Walmart are also within walking distance. Our room had a large clean fridge and microwave. Two pools! A great option for a mini staycation.

    « Great get away »

We found the location easy to access and on routes to sites we wanted to visit. Very clean, and a good place to rest. Breakfast was nicely presented, a good variety which was nice and hot and easy to choose. There was plenty of room to sit and enjoy your breakfast.Staff were very helpful and made our stay easy and enjoyable.

« Great if you like noise »

Hotel has become a hotel for sports teams. Kids playing hockey in the halls at night. Folks partying in the halls drinking beer. Manager "Lela" was great in moving me to another room but told me that they can't do much as the teams contracs with the hotel only mandates quiet after 11:00 pm. If that's your idea of a great time, fabulous. Otherwise GO ELSEWHERE. Restaurant remains OK. Breakfasts good.

    « A very pleasant experience »

I arrived before all the members of my family I was coming from Erie Pa and they were from Montreal. I went to the front desk to pick up my key they asked me the reservation number they asked for my ID, got my key everyone were very pleasant. When the rest of us showed up they did the same thing. I got a courtesy call to let me know they had arrived. The breakfast was fine our table was clean as we were done with our plates. At the gym we were welcomed and shown where everything was. The only little complaint I have is, we were 4 in our room so with only 3 towels. We made a point to ask for 4 of each to the cleaning lady that day we did get our request but not the following days and to ask everyday is a pain.

    5
    « Pleasantly Surprised »

We knew when booking this hotel, that it was an older property. Upon arrival, we found our room a bit dated - but clean and functional. We were put in a room in the executive wing which had a controlled key access. That area is very quiet - no problems with any noise at all. The shining glory of this hotel is the staff. From check in to check out - every staff member we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was much better than many other hotels we have stayed at. The staff there were constantly refilling items and keeping tables clean and cleared. They have an indoor and outdoor pool. We are not sun seekers so we enjoyed the indoor pool which was heated to 85 degrees and clean. The location of this hotel is right off the QEW and very close to shopping ( Costco right across the street) and restaurants - Kelseys, Perkins and Montana's are walkable. Overall, our experience was very enjoyable and a good value.

« Great Circle bike hotel »

After getting off the Go Niagara Express train, its only a 4 km bike ride to this hotel. The next day we rode to Fort Erie 70 km and then 100 km back to St Catharines the next day. Staying at hotel like this one, guarentees a good nights sleep so you can tour along a picturesque canal all day enjoying car free routes.

    « don't flush if someone's in the shower »

We stayed here for a wedding at a nearby winery. After a very complicated check-in we found our room, which was run-down and depressing at best. This 2 story hotel surrounds a courtyard with a small pool and a mini-golf course, has a gym and a restaurant on site. We used none of it. The hotel's proximity to the highway is its best feature. Use this hotel as a last option. And don't flush the toilet if someone is using the shower.

« Best Stay for the Summer »

I have stated at this hotel many times over the years even before it became a Best Western. I have always found it to be a very enjoyable stay. The rooms are clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is very enjoyable and the restaurant is clean and satisfactory. I look forward to staying there again in the future.

« best complimentary breakfast ever! »

Based on Trip Advisor reviews we decided to stay here for two nights while visiting Niagara on The Lake. This hotel is good, not a 5-star, but a good 4- star. Bedding is lovely, white and clean. The restaurant provides a free buffet breakfast in the morning that is the best I've ever had (for a hotel). Hot fresh scrambled eggs, ham, potatoes, pancakes, fresh fruit, oatmeal, cold cereals, breads, muffins and more. The best part is that because you are in a restaurant there's lots of room, and I never felt rushed to leave due to table shortage, which happens so often in a hotel breakfast room. Hallways are a bit dark, and the landscaping outside needs a bit of a spruce up. The rooms are OK, but some paint pealing in the bathroom. We had a garden room, which is lovely because you can open your patio door and sit outside in the garden by the pool. There were, however, a pile of cigarette butts outside our room on the ground. Niagara on the Lake is a 20 minute drive away, as are two great malls! We loved having a fridge and a microwave in the room too. and... the staff were very friendly and helpful.

    « Our stay »

The rooms are very spacious and clean .Bed is comfortable and Internet is great which is the most Important on business trips.Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of choice in a relaxed quiet atmosphere in the restaurant.

« This is the worst Best Western we have ever stayed in!!!!! »

We stayed here for 2 nights, and it was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in, we were so disappointed!!!!!! We were on the ground floor...the patio door didn't lock, just a little stick in it. The room was so musty smelling it made me sick, I had such a headache in the night...got up to take a pill...drank the water out of the tap and it was very foul and mouldy tasting. There was no fan in the bathroom...I did not think that was allowed. Could not get the phone to work as per instructions, so had to walk all around the hotel to get to the main desk. I went to see about getting another room at 7:00 AM the next morning, they said there was only 1 room left a few doors down, so she sent a maintenance worker to show me the room...he couldn't get the key to work, then said he was going home? Had to walk back to see what was next....she said she would call someone else, that never happened...very incompetent staff...she new we were getting picked up for a tour at 9:00. Went back at 8:50 after numerous trips, desperate now...there was a very helpful staff that overheard our conversation, and said she could have come right away, if some one had told her. She moved us herself as our bus had now arrived. The next room was not as musty, the door locked...but woke up to ants in the bed in the morning. Complained about it in the morning...the same girl just said I'll get someone to clean it up, no apologies. The only good thing about our stay was the breakfast! This place is to busy making money to do any renovations. The outside looked rough as well!

« We love this hotel! »

The owner and managers were present every day, greeting guests and chatting; the staff were all friendly, greeting guests as people walked by; requests for extra room supplies were immediately and graciously provided; the complimentary breakfast offerings and presentation were delicious and attractive, and our room on the courtyard near the outdoor pool was clean, comfortable and very pleasant. Constant improvements and redecoration keep this hotel up to date and attractive; a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere we enjoy.

    2
    « Premium Floor a Joke! »

Nothing like stairs to get to the executive Floor....or walk around the entire hotel perimeter,,,,Rooms are nothing special and very dated,,,,,These rooms are what you would find at Travelodge or Super 8...Overpriced at $138 corporate.

    « Trip »

We went on a trip to Marinland and Niagara Fals and stayed in this Hotel. We all loved the in and out door pool as well the very well equipped and big gym. we also liked the steam room and hottup. the hotel has a courtyard with easy acces to the outdoor pool. the only negative thing to say is the breakfast time. this a a farly big hotel and the free breakfast is a buffet style however there is only one line up for the breakfast and therfore alwas a big long line oft guest and staff to replenish the items. A not to the managment- two buffet lines would take care of this problem. thanks again for the wonderfull stay this a a very family/kids frindly hotel.

« Diamond in the rough »

When we first pulled up to the hotel we thought, uh oh, what did we get in to? We were pleasantly surprised! The hotel outside looked old, but inside was very nice & clean. We had a nice King size bed & the room was on the second floor which overlooked the pool. The breakfast was very good every morning, the young man helping in the breakfast area, Jason was such a gem, attentive to keeping tables clean, stocking items that needed refreshing and checking to see if we needed anything! Had pizza by the pool on the last day. Pizza from hotel restaurant was great!! We will be going back!!

« I have to rate this the number 1 Best Western this tripo! »

This particular Best Western was the fifth we stayed in on our current trip. The courteous and professional front desk staff was superb . The hotel fitness center with a great work out room along with pool and spa was the best. They have a bar/lounge (Wrigley's) which we visited both nights of our stay. Could not ask for better service and the burgers are excellent. Very good complimentary breakfast in the restaurant. Highly recommend this hotel if you are ever in the area to visit Niagara Falls.

« Excellent hotel with great amenities »

A great place to stay that included a full breakfast. Indoor and outdoor pools, exercise rooms, sauna and steam. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Rooms spacious and included a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Well situated just off the exit of QEW. Restaurant in hotel and 4 in a one block area.

    5
« Great hotel to stop at »

Very friendly and efficient check in and check out staff; breakfast was well stocked and delicious; service staff extremely friendly; comfortable beds, great televisions...will definitely stay here again when in the area

« Great staff, HOT breakfast and friendless service »

Would stay here without a doubt. Everyone had smiles and was eager to please. The breakfast was amazing it is a FULL hot breakfast including, Fried potatoes, bacon, waffles, etc etc etc. Excellent value for your money. The breakfast in in the restaurant so there is plenty of room unlike some. Two pools are inviting for the family as well as mini putt. This hotel is just off the highway and easy to get too. Oh did I mention that Costco, and a lot of shopping near by.

« Only Choose As Your Last Option »

We booked this hotel for a family wedding. At the time of booking the gentleman on the phone provided us with a rate for 3 adults. Upon checking in, the clerk (Becky) advised us that the rate was going to be $20.00 more per night, due to the extra adult. We told her the rate quoted was for 3 adults (that she should check the reservation details) and she said that she would not honour that rate and insisted upon the higher rate. She was unpleasant and very uncooperative - she wouldn't even discuss the issue, rather she said she was sure there was a miscommunication with the person we originally booked. We were 100% sure there wasn't, but the fact that it was a long weekend, we were there for a wedding and there were no other hotels available, we had no choice but to stay and pay the higher rate. The room was clean, however some personal items from the previous guest were left in the room, which we just left outside the door in the hall and eventually they disappeared. This hotel does not provide individual shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc., rather there were 2 small bars of soap and 3 dispensers affixed to the wall (shampoo and conditioner in the shower and hand soap by the sink) - no hand/body lotion. Two of the 3 dispensers were empty (conditioner and hand soap). We called the front desk and the empty dispensers were refilled the day after were reported them empty. We had drinks and nachos in Wrigleys (their in house sports bar). We were served by Melissa, who was very friendly and helpful (she even poured our end of the night cocktails in plastic cups 'to go' as they were closing for the night). The nachos were very good. The breakfast in the morning was fairly decent (cereal, scrambled eggs, sausages, yogurt, juice and coffee). If I were to book here again, I would have them email me a confirmation with the price/details clearly stated. I felt that we were intentionally deceived as they knew on a long weekend there would be nowhere else for us to go (plus the hotel was booked with many other guests for the same wedding we attended). I am sure there are much better places to stay that ensure the rooms are clean, with all of the previous occupant's possessions removed, amenity basics such as soap, etc. available without asking and waiting a day for, and honest pricing matching the reservation quote. The rude behaviour of Becky, the front desk clerk was also a disappointment and just started our stay off on the wrong foot. Also, check your bill before paying it for an extra added fee. It is listed on the bill as "FF (inc H.S.T.)" - which is calculated at 5% on top of the combined total of your room rate and HST tax (for example on a room rate of $210.00, the H.S.T. is $27.30 and the extra FF fee that they will charge is an additional $11.87 for the night). Stay a few nights and this extra fee adds up. This is not a fee that you are required to pay by law. This is an additional cash grab that you can avoid by simply telling them to remove if from your bill. This extra charge is cleverly called "FF" and is probably not questioned by 9 out of 10 guests. So many things about this hotel made us feel uneasy, and we felt on more than one occasion that we were being taken advantage of. I suggest only booking this hotel as a last resort.

    « Meh... »

Did not really liked this hotel. The room we were in smelled, the furniture sends you back to the rarly 90's and we were unable to connect our devices to the Internet. We had to call an external company to get them to help us, but in the end, it did not work. We were upgraded to the executive floor which was really quiet compared to the rest of the hotel. I loved the balcony looking over the outside pool. Loved the outside pool. Definitely NOT a party place if that's what you are into. Lots of senior people. Good point, we were able to get a late check out at 2pm.

« Great Location For Henley Regatta »

We spent three nights here over regatta week. Easy check in with friendly staff, especially Becky. Comfortable rooms with microwave, fridge, and desk. Breakfast was a nice bonus. Hot and cold items, including eggs, sausages, pancakes, potatoes, bread, cereals, yogurt, cold boiled eggs, bananas, oranges, muffin selection and more. Good coffee! And nice to see the staff stop at the tables to check in with the guests. Didn't use pools or gym but looked like folks were enjoying these amenities. Watched Olympic opening ceremonies in the bar and had very attentive service once again. Only downside is that the rooms do need more ventilation but we would be glad to stay here again. Great location, great staff!

« Affordable acommodation 15 minutes from Niagara Falls »

We spend 2 nights in this St-Catharines hotel which we have chosen based on the reviews and the price. It is a good place if you are not going to spend a fortune while travelling to Niagara Falls. The breakfast is included which is very convenient. But the hotel itself definitely required renovation. Our room was very small, with a tiny bathroom. The air conditioner did not functioned properly and it was hot during the night. Otherwise the place was clean and the stuff was friendly.

    5
« Great Service and Exercise Facilities »

Had executive room for 5 nights during Henley Regatta. Eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, fruit breakfast. Very attentive and cheerful service. Front desk efficient and willing to be flexible since the length of our stay was dependent on whether our daughter progressed to the next level racing. Altogether great.

    5
    « Perfect for Business »

Comfortable clean room in business section. Great breakfast . Easy check in and out. Suited me fine. It was a quiet spot to sleep. I got the room for a good price. If you are in the area, it is a sound choice. I would recommend it for anyone travelling for business

    3
« Disappointed that room was not ready »

Despite being part of a block of wedding rooms and having the time of shuttle departure posted at the front desk, many rooms were not ready for check-in before the wedding. Had to get changed and ready in our car and checked in after we arrived back from the wedding at 2am when all we wanted to do was sleep. I am aware that check-out is 11am, but I called earlier in the week to ask about checking in before the 1pm bus departure and was told that wedding blocks had first priority for cleaning. Clearly, that was not the case. Adequate room, but not pleased with the lack of communication by the hotel or organization with wedding blocks.

    2
    « Don't stay »

If you make a reservation, don't plan on getting what you ask for. They will give you a room, but it won't be what you wanted. The fans in the bathrooms don't work, there are no safes, and they seem to disregard Americans. They like our money, which right now is worth more. They will take it to make change, but will only give you change back in Canadian money. Another profit.

    2
    « vacation »

We were made to wait to check in for a supposedly executive room while others were accommodated. The one elevator is in a closet at one end of the facility and almost impossible to utilize. Room smelled of mold

    4
    « value for money »

A clean comfortable place to stay , good restaurant ,convenient location to explore the region or to go shopping .It is an older hotel but has been kept up and the elevator is small not in a convenient location.

    3
    « Ho-hum »

Probably priced right at $149 for a room with two queens and breakfast. There is a pool and yard you can gather in with groups. The breakfast was the highlight to me. Otherwise, the hotel and rooms are looking tired. New paper and paint can only get you so far. Time for Best Western to unload this and build new.

    2
    « Disappointing »

I was surprised that I was so disappointed in this hotel, as there are so many good reviews for it. when we arrived, both of the luggage carts that we tried to use had flat tires. I told the lady at the front desk as my husband was struggling to push ones across the lot and she kind of just shrugged her shoulders. Getting said carts inside and to the elevator was quite the feat. The elevator is very poorly located, tiny, and scary. you have to basically push the luggage cart (flat tire and all) in a 180 around a very tight corner to get it in. Once in, the elevator noisily lurches downward as the doors close and then groans its way up to the 2nd floor. Once there, you have to repeat the 180 process to get out of the elevator, but there are also 2 doors to pass through while completing this maneuver in a similarly tight space. We got to the room and found someone's old coffee in our microwave. The cold water in the shower did not work. There were old sheets on the sofa sleeper. The wifi was spotty too. When I called down about the sheets and the shower, I expressed my frustration about our bumpy arrival to the front desk again and received a lackluster response. Once all the bumps from our arrival were smoothed out, I lay down to get some sleep - the mattress was as hard as concrete and I woke up exhausted and very very sore. As I went down to breakfast, I decided to make one last attempt to see if anyone at the front desk would care, and finally, one of the staff showed concern and compassion for our problems. She and the women on the breakfast staff were the only people who actually seemed to care about their clients. Oh, and when we went to load up before checkout, the luggage carts still had flat tires...I do not recommend this hotel and would not stay again.

« Great place to stay.. »

This was convenient to the highway with many restaurants that were walkable from hotel For Costco members , there is one so close ,it's almost shares the parking lot with the hotel The courtyard could use an update with supposed min golf ((????)) The complementary breakfast had a different special every am ( we were there for 4 breakfasts) coffee was good and plentiful BUT it should not be in the location it was ( too crowded with people trying to get food in same area ) surprise was having heavy white plates ( real ones , not paper !) and real silverware ! Breakfast attendant was wonderful and very friendly trying to make sure everyone was well fed. Weekend mornings were more crowded but attendants were constantly restocking the juices , breads and hot foods Room was ok , but very narrow getting into the room . Although it was great to have the sink outside the bathroom , it was very difficult to close the bathroom door since the bathroom is tiny., verrrry tiny! Bed was comfortable... I would stay there again if in the area ( BTW WE traveled every day to Niagara Falls ( Canada ) and it was an easy ride from this hotel

    « Great Staff! »

Very nice hotel. Conveniently located by major shopping district. Costco and Kia are right beside you! Amazing front desk staff during all shifts. Beautiful Lobby, clean rooms. Restaurant was very good as well! Continental Breakfast had many items to choose from. I would recommend this hotel if you need to stay in the area

    « Highly recommend! »

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We needed a couple of extra towels and more coffee and had both very promptly. Wi-fi worked great. Room was very clean and nice looking. The continental breakfast was amazing. Many choices and a nice big room to sit and enjoy your breakfast with family. Has an indoor pool and hot tub and an outdoor pool. We didn't use the pools but did enjoy the hot tub. Big screen tv, no dvd player. There is plenty of parking. We didn't go in but there is a sports bar and grill onsite.

    « Great service »

An inexpensive stay at a convenient location. Staff were tremendously friendly, both at reception and In the restaurant. The outer facing balconies leave a bit to be desired in terms of view but if you are there for business or a quick trip, it really doesn't matter. The pool area is surprisingly beautiful. The breakfast was of good quality, and filling. A pleasant stay.

Great hotel especially that the owner himself took time to assist in cleaning tables removing cutlery and crockery from the tables. He also found time to chat with us, that is an excellent Manager. Wait staff were excellent, and the cleaning crew were very pleasant and polite.

« Great place to stay »

We were there for 5 days from the 21st of June to the 25th of June.can't say a bad thing about this hotel. It's very clean and friendly for the whole family. They the staff were always friendly and there to help you out with all your needs. You really could not ask for any more. We will be staying there again in the near future. Had a great visit with my grandaughter and best western made it perfect.

    « Very pleasant stay. »

We were on a tour to see Niagara Falls and stayed here for four nights. The staff was pleasant, friendly and helpful, especially in Wrigley's, where we had breakfast. The room was comfortable, even though our patio door faced the highway, we could not hear the traffic noise. The breakfast was the standard egg beaters, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, rolls, fruit and yogurt. The wait staff was efficient at picking up the used plates and keeping the patrons moving through the restaurant. This area had retail businesses around it. There is a Costco store close by. There is also an indoor and outdoor pool with a sauna at the indoor pool.

    « Quick overnight Stay »

Accommodations were comfortable and very clean. While the facility is only 2 floors, it does have an elevator. In the evening - the hotel restaurant is a pub and served finger foods - mostly fried (fish & chips). Food was was fair, few choices and, in our opinion too pricey. Breakfast was a buffet that was provided with the room. Breakfast was better than dinner menu. Nice place, clean & good service.

    « Great Stay »

Stayed 3 nights in June, 2016. Perfect location for me to visit a relative in Buffalo, NY and friends in Ontario as well as being a short drive to Niagara Falls. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool as well as a hot tub. A full breakfast (hot buffet) is included in the rate. Our room had a king bed, fridge, microwave, dishes, glasses, etc., etc. Our room was well kept, had ice cold air conditioning. I also got a discount for staying a 3rd night . I'll return again when in the area without checking any place else since everything was perfect.

« Ok place, nothing special »

Came to St Catherine's for the Niagara Wine festival. Location was good (not aware it was a commercial area). Normally I stay in Niagara On The Lake, but chose this location for a change - closer to 20 Valley winereries. Bed was good, shower, very good, internet worked well. Free breakfast was good. Hotel is in need of updating, grounds appeared dirty. Exterior door to hotel did not work well with key. Beware - lounge staff will rip you off if you pay with American dollars.

« Pleasant surprise. Two night stay, because all hotels we tried in Niagara-on-the-lake were full. »

Hotel was clean, comfortable and breakfast(included) was excellent, only about 20 KM from Niagara on the Lake. and about the same distance to a very good outlet mall. Also some restaurants across the street. We ate at Kelseys. We did not use but the hotel had both an indoor and outdoor pool. They looked good.

« A Great Place to Stay in St. Catharines! »

The Staff was very welcoming, friendly, professional, and efficient. I could tell that they take pride in their work and strive for excellence in everything they do. The property was well maintained and had an excellent pool area and exercise area. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. An excellent property for any type of stay!

« Surprised by the mediocrity of this Best Western »

I was a little surprised by the mediocrity of this Best Western. The rooms were tired, the bathroom was tiny and the room was not cleaned well. The dust on the tv had fallen off the back in dust bunnies on the floor. If they aren't dusting what else aren't they doing was our thought at the time. That said, we had a good sleep. Breakfast was ok. The toaster was holding up everyone because it was on the darkest it could go and the it was coming out warm and un-toasted so people kept putting their toast back through. It became a joke to those of us in line and made us laugh but for the picky eaters out there a little ridiculous. They do seem to be doing some updating. The carpets in the hallways looked new and hopefully the rooms will be next. The other thing that surprised me was that we were told by Brock University to ask for their "Convocation" pricing, but when we asked the manager said, we can't honour that because you already paid." Well, when you order online their is no spot for "convocation pricing" haha. When I said that she replied, "nothing we can do" and walked away. The lady at the desk continued our check-in and then when we were leaving for our room the manager came back and said, "congratulations!" Really? We were too excited for our daughter to let this get to us, but just an FYI for any others booking for their convocations.

    « Dissapointing »

Refurbishment work ongoing resulting in a lot of banging with hammers etc, if you're going here to relax (as we did) check that the work is finished our you have banging all day from first thing in the morning,a call to let us know renovation work was underway would have been nice but I guess if it hits the profits they put the business first and the customer second!!!!

    « Lovely as usual. »

The hotel is of an age, has been upgraded beautifully and the upgrading continues. The outdoor pool is lovely with new pool furniture and the balcony furniture in the rooms is new this year. The garden courtyard is lovely. All the patio decks are lovely. The chef's soup of the day is amazing. Ladies, the veggie plate is hidden under side orders. The blue cheese dressing is made in-house and has chunks of blue cheese in it. Do not order it if you do not like blue cheese. The draft has never been stale.so they have high turnover. Personally, I like the beef dip but I order a second pot of dip. Breakfast is different everyday so if you staying awhile, it doesn't get boring. New this year is the weekend breakfast setup. This hotel can be extremely busy on weekends. If you come in and the place is packed, often with teenagers in for tournaments, as you enter the restaurant, there is a table with coffee, muffins, and fresh fruit. Grab something, head out, come back in 20-30 minutes. These kids and their parents have a mass start so they do not stay long. Come back and you can linger as long as you like in a cozy booth. This is picky but I personally like having a salt and pepper shaker on the table. Note the 5 kinds of syrup for pancakes. The yogurt and dairy products are in the counter fridge at the far end of the counter. It is easy to miss. Try the new Okio fruit flavored greek yogurt. I liked it so much I have switched. The hotel atmosphere is very relaxing. I always hate to leave and look forward to coming back.

« A pool and a gym and near niagara on the lake »

I actually really like this hotel. It's not secluded in the middle of nowhere. It is near shopping and some restaurants. And the hotel has ample parking, a gym and a pool. The rooms are a bit older but it's still nice. We drove to Niagara on the Lake and had a great day!

    4
« Centrally located for wine buffs, well priced »

This motel is located within a short drive of the Niagara-on-the-Lake and the 20 Valley wine regions and is easy to get to. Personnel were friendly and helpful. We ate a casual dinner at the hotel restaurant (great wings & nachos), as well as a breakfast buffet the next morning (routine items, but well done, and a "make your own pancakes: option as well.

    4
    « A pancake machine! »

One first for me. At breakfast, they have a machine that makes pancakes. Had to try it. (It's fine.) Well appointed building, nice lobby, friendly welcome. Clean, comfortable room. It's a commercial area with a highway nearby, but that didn't intrude on the consciousness too much. Slept well.

    « Afternoon / evening event »

Found the Hotel and conference room to be very attractive . The attending staff and hostess in the conference room were very professional , courteous and helpful . The desk staff very much the same . I will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to others .

    « Good property »

Stayed here for a dance competition. Spacious pool and pool area, so good for families. (Actually there is an indoor and an outdoor pool!) The breakfast (included) had good variety. I wouldn't normally eat dinner in a hotel restaurant, but it was good. (I also recommend Montana's across the street). Rooms on the outside of the building are a bit smaller than the ones facing the courtyard, I think. Overall I would consider this property a very good choice.

    3
    « comfortable stay »

I stayed standard room with two king bed. If you want to save the cost, it is good choice. Room: Clean, comfortable bed. Bath: Average, but small space. Brakfast: Under average, but it is free. Tim Houton is 5min from hotel. Internet: Average speed, sometime issue with my mobile.

    4
    « Exceptional »

I stayed here with my co-worker for a week and we didn't want to leave! We took advantage of all the amenities and thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The fitness centre was outstanding! Breakfast was readily available and plentiful. It was a great stay and we didn't even feel like we were there for business. Thank you for the mini vacay!

    5
« Friendly and good value »

A very friendly arrival with exceptional breakfast facilities. Very clean and a well organized operation. The location is easy to access from the freeway with lots of nearby restaurant options. The rooms are a little dated but all works well with good sound proofing from adjacent rooms and hallways.

    4
    « Great fitness centre »

I have been to many Hotels with hockey and football in past 20 years. Have never seen a gym attached to a Hotel like this. Pool, hot tub and steam sauna was great as well. Rooms were started to be ungraded...hallways and furniture. Beds were very comfortable...almost as good as a delta bed!! The hot complimentary breakfast was excellent as well.... The staff were excellent. Susan was great and made it all work out. My only con....needs more moderization in certain areas especially in the hotel room bathrooms. They are dated and tired. Will definitely stay there again...Ps. Close to the mall and other eating locations; Montana's, Perkins, Kelsey's etc

    « Exceptional Service »

Friendly and courteous staff make a stay enjoyable. I visit the area often and choose this hotel as my hotel of choice. The hotel provides a continental breakfast, and is well supplied with a good variety for any dietary choices.

    « Great Location/Great Breakfast/Clean »

Shopping/restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are clean, comfortable and pleasant. Excellent hot breakfast. Nice pool and workout room. Staff friendly and helpful. Have stayed here in the past and will continue to book at this hotel. Renovations in progress while we were there but did not impose on our stay. I always feel that is a good sign.

    « Just OK »

Decided to try something different then the same hotel while in town for business. Wish I would have went with the same old. Not impresses, needs work. Staff pleasant and close to everything but not my cup of tea.

    « Nice olace »

Price is good. Nice place and near everything. A bit noisy at times. We had the executive suite but I do not see much difference. The bathroom is still small but has an extra sink. Bed is not bad but next time I will bring my pillow as I do not like theirs. Otherwise worth staying but go for breakfast some place else. Lots near by.

    « Too Noisy »

I went with my 2 kids and my wife, we were in the room 174, the hotel was extremely noisy, and for us to say that, it has to be ultra noisy, because we are used and in fact like noise. There were kids yelling and running through all the hallways, knocking room's doors, they were wild, some of them were going outside in pajamas without shoes at -10 and with cars going around! nobody was controlling them; and the pool and spa was the worst, 40 or 50 kids yelling within a closed room.... the hot tub was also full of kids, there were no way to get in there, we couldn't enjoy the pool or the hot tub neither the stay in the hotel. The breakfast was very good and the bar has good offers and friendly staff.

    4
    « Hockey Tournament »

We stayed here because it was one of the hotels on the recommended list for the tournament.. Actually it was not bad at all... We had stayed at the Holiday Inn last year and the stay was better for a few reason. The staff at the hotel were great. The one opps all weekend was when my family arrived. They did not have my reservation.. They resolved it without an issue. Also they were a very accommodating to all the teams staying there over the three days. The pool was average size but just one thing the pool is apart of a fitness club which in the hotel. One thing that did worry us was the emergency doors were chained together.. The rooms were average. The beds were comfortable. There is refrigerator and microwave in the rooms. They are either facing into the quad or outward facing to the street. Even rooms are in the inside facing rooms. The hotel is near lots of chain restaurants in the area and has a restaurant in the hotel. It has complimentary breakfast bar which had the scramble eggs and bacon and pancakes ect.... It was good and the kids like it. We did not have dinner there. Over all not a bad hotel. The hotel is conveniently located just off the QEW and was close the arenas that we needed to play at. Pros: Location, Cons: Pools is not apart of the hotel.

« Clean, Clean but not for handicapped person, long walk to anything. »

Monday March 14, 2016 Our room was very clean which is what I look for immediately. We booked late afternoon as our house was being renovated and I couldn't take the noise anymore plus no running water. A quick call to Best Western and we were booked for the night, however when we specified a 'quiet' room.....that I needed rest, that's where we were told that many sports tournaments were going on everywhere in the city so the hotels are filled with many, many kids and their parents. But the very nice receptionist put us on the top floor near the end which proved to be very smart with 2 Queen size beds of unusual height which were fun to get into. WE DID! We were also offered a "Manager's Distress" rate due to the potential noise. Very happy for that. Our room was away from the crowd that always gathered in the middle of the long hall way, but that was no problem for us. Kids running up and down until 10 pm was irritating but it soon stopped and we drifted off to badly needed sleep. We ate our supper in Wrigleys Restaurant. Food was delicious and the complimentary breakfast was more than we ever expected with such variety. We didn't eat breakfast at Wrigleys' as there were toooooo many hyper kids raring to go play their tournaments. No problem, Hubby brought trays of delicious food and coffees and we ate our 'breakfast in bed'. Thank you my dear one. So sweet of him. Would probably return if we continue with more reno's down the road but this time ask the right questions. Staff is amazing, helpful and kind. Thank you everyone! My comment about this hotel not being for the handicapped is valid as there is only one elevator and it was quite a walk to get there and back to our room Not easy when you are in your 70's but we should have asked ahead of time as there may have been a solution to that.

« Best Western- Lives up to the name »

I have always enjoyed staying at the hotel. There are always friendly staff who will go the extra mile to make sure that everything is in order. The rooms are nice and clean. The attractions are close enough that you can still enjoy being outside of the main tourist destination.

    « Served the purpose »

Glad that they are pet friendly. Location - good. Breakfast - average. Hot tub and pool - nice but hot tub needed to be cleaned when we were there. Decor - dated but clean; in need of some updates all around. The heater wasn't working properly in our first room and the lock on the patio door was broken in our second room however we had a security so we just used that instead of switching rooms for a second time. Some of the rooms seemed to have new handles on their patio doors so maybe the hotel is in the process of some updates. Also some rooms had screens on their doors. Ours didn't. Our room had a fridge and microwave which was a plus. Bathroom - small but clean. House keeping service - good. Room service - good. Burgers - awesome.

    « Restaurant a huge disappointment! »

10 of us went to Wrigleys tonight for dinner, and the service was the worst I have ever experienced. It was not busy in the restaurant (a telltale sign), so having ten of us shouldn't have been difficult, but there were mistakes time and time again. I finally left after 2.5 hours because I was never served dinner ( or any food) in spite of being reassured time and time again that it was on its way. I was not the only one in our party not to have been served any dinner at all. One friend ordered a steak sandwich, but they forgot the steak, several had meals without cutlery, drinks were improperly made, nachos were ordered without cheese, and many did not have napkins. The server kept apologizing for the delays in the kitchen, but waiting for dinner two hours after the order was placed and all my friends had finished eating was ridiculous. Some manager came out but didn't even bother apologizing. She simply removed used stemware. We all agree we will never go back. Big disappointment!

    « Very noisy. »

We stayed 2 nights in Feb 2016. We are a family of 5 and this always limits our choices of rooms. We were given room 201, right at the main stairs. There is a door that must be opened to get to the hallway and there were people coming and going all night as the door clicked open, and then banged shut. It was quite disruptive to sleeping for all of us. Our room had a window into the pool which was very unique, but the chlorine smell was strong, and we could hear the splashing and talking in the pool area in our room. The first night our neighbours came home after midnight quite drunk and proceeded to slam doors, shout at eachother and yell "woohoo!". I went and respectfully asked them to be quiet as it was after midnight and I had three small children who were trying to sleep. This didn't work and my husband called the lobby and they did respond promptly, but it didn't stop the noise from re-occurring. We asked for a new room for night 2 and were told they were fully booked. Night 2 was quieter in that there were no drunk people yelling "woohoo" but the noise of the door almost drove me to insanity. It there MUST be a door right there it needs to be MUCH quieter. The included breakfast was great. Good variety, fantastic service. We did try out the pool and hot tub but were disappointed that children under 12 were not permitted in the hot tub at all! Not being rule breakers, we didn't allow them, even though they have been in hot tubs before with parental supervision. There are pool noodles & a couple of balls to use in the pool, but there were also adults doing laps, so we kept them floating quietly to the side. We didn't' stay long in the pool area as it really wasn't geared to children. Will we stay here again? no.

    « Great for groups »

Nice hotel, staff are friendly and breakfast was great. Noise was our problem. If you have a room next to a hallway door, bring ear plugs. I think this hotel is mainly for hockey/basketball groups so expect noise. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you need quiet (babies and such)

    « valentines »

Loved the room and the service. Breakfast in the morning was amazing. Would definitely stay again. The food at the bar was ok, a little over cooked but the service was great and they let us take our food and drinks to our room which was nice after a long day. Overall it was a great experience.

    « Sprawling property »

A comfortable 2 floor only property with many wings and a lot of rooms with outside access or balconies. Seems like a great location for ball teams/large groups. Not a fancy place but has a lot of facilities and amenities for corporate and family use. Enjoyed the sports bar on site.

    « Friendly and Quiet »

From walking in the front door to the check out counter you will feel welcomed here, I am staying here 10 days now which could become 20 due to a family health issue so with being here this amount of time i have crossed paths with a lot of staff from the women who clean and stock the rooms, the girl vacuuming the halls, the spa attendents ,the maintenance crew and last but not least Ida who made sure the morning breakfast was a happy wakening experience ,so wether it was just passing in the hall,or asking for directions or needing more coffee in the room you can sure that you will find a willing and friendly staff at this hotel This is a family run operation and they are on site and care about your comfort,Thank you

« favorite place to stay »

This is our favorite place to stay in St. Catherines and convenient to all area attractions. Although older, the hotel is clean, well maintained, quiet and comfortable. The pool, fitness center, lounge, restaurant, and breakfast (included) make this a real destination for travelers.

every thing was on average for one night stay.it was quite stay close to the highway, mall and other services, the only problem was with the price because it was showing $ 117 per night but when I booked it came to $ 254, this I did not understand why, thank you.

    « St Catharines »

Hotel is clean, undergoing some renovations, there was plaster dust near the heating unit - it should have been noticed by the maid. In the fitness center sauna is actually infrared - which is not really a sauna - rather microwave for humans. Not impressed. It is very close to the Niagara Falls, with out Niagara Falls prices!

« Excellent place to stay in Niagara area »

My wife and I decided to spend New Year's Eve in Niagara Falls. Hotel prices were ridiculously high there, so booked the Best Western in St. Catharines. Everything was first rate, from the staff OKing early check-in so we could watch the Canada-Sweden game from the World Juniors to the friendly front desk, to the clean, spacious room. I look forward to staying there again.

    « Great Hoiday Getaway »

I planned a brief last minute Xmas getaway with pool, quiet, etc. and arrived to find a lot of kids on a hockey tournament. I thought, there goes my rest. Nadine and Linda met me on check in and suprised me with a room in a quiet area of the hotel away from the teams. Everything was great including peace and quiet. I was also given many recommendations for places to eat. I would like to thank them for going above and beyond to help me enjoy my stay. I enjoyed the pool, hot tub, etc. The breakfast is provided here and much better than typical continental breakfast. This is one of my favourite hotels to stay, as I have stayed here quite often. Staff is always very pleasant, but I can truly say the customer service with a personal touch this visit was the best!

    3
    « Needs updating »

This hotel is not a new Hotel. It requires room updating and maintenance. The rooms were large but outdated. It had a nice indoor pool and fitness centre. It also has a restaurant on site. It is a conference centre as well. Staff were friendly but Hotel was at best a category 3.

« As usual, lovely place to stay in St. Catharines. »

We stay here a week at a time. Love the pool, the exercise room, the laundry room. Hotel is of an age and has been seriously and tastefully renovated. Hot and cold breakfast is varied and consistently good. Service is great. Note: they are very busy on the weekends so come early for breakfast or late to avoid the rush.

    « Visit with family »

We enjoyed the hotel very much unfortunate that we could not stay longer was down for visit with our daughter who is in school in the area. Very comfortable rooms but the only thing was the strong odor of chlorine from the pool. Breakfast was ok but one of the items was baked beans there was only sausage and not bacon but the rest of the breakfast was good, Didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked very nice. The hotel is self was very clean and nicely decorated. The elevator was very small and slow moving but efficient. We would consider staying again.

    5
« We enjoyed our visit »

We are diamond Best Western members and stay in them most of the time when we travel. This was a very nice one. Sometimes we are disappointed when we arrive at a hotel, but this was a good one. We were in the executive section with the courtyard view. It was clean and comfortable. The bed was a pillowtop, there is a fridge and microwave and a lot of outlets (sometimes its a problem when we get to a room and there are 2-3 outlets, not enough for charging phones, camaras, etc.) The sliding door for the balcony had a lock bar attached which was very nice. There is a big fitness room, an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna. In the courtyard there is a very nice outdoor pool, a large gazebo, miniature golf and many lounge chairs. Our only complaint was that there was a large party in their party room that they rent out and the quests kept coming out to the pool area to smoke, which was right below our room. They were fairly noisy - going late into the night (and not considerate of hotel quests) The hotel management should keep better control of this. There are many restaurants within walking and driving distance. We went to Perkins (very good) This was a good location for us because we are from Pittsburgh, PA and stopped at Goat Island (Niagara Falls) on our way to Toronto. Niagara is 4 hours from Pittsburgh and St. Catharines was only 20-30 min. across the border, then Toronto was only 1 hour and 10 min. from the hotel.

« there are a few redeeming features... »

I have to state upfront I'm not a Best Western fan. The quality is way too variable between properties for my liking. This place is badly in need of renovations. Worn carpets, stained draperies, cracked floor tiles...but, my room was clean (except for the curtains), and the bed was quite comfortable. There was a slight musty smell that comes from carpets being badly in need of replacement... The hotel itself was laid out very strangely. I was in the Executive wing, which while much quieter than the rest of the hotel, is kind of a pain to get to if you have any mobility issues. There is one elevator for the building, at the far end of the hotel, which means either dragging your suitcase through what seems like endless miles of hallway (and multiple security doors), or schlepping it up a flight of stairs. I chose to schlep it up and down the stairs. Luckily I left it in the car until I was able to actually get into the room...even the key cards are worn and need replacing, judging from the number of times I had to get them rekeyed (and no, this wasn't that thing where a desk clerk gets back at an annoying guest by screwing with their cards :D). Staff were friendly and helpful, although the manager was a bit overboard in that respect - I find it annoying while trying to read during breakfast to be interrupted with a query on how I'm finding everything, but that's just me...other people were happy to chat with the fellow! breakfast was about standard for a hotel continental. a few unchanging hot items which I didn't try, plus the usual cereal, boiled eggs, yogurt and fruit. It was nice NOT being offered red delicious apples, but instead being able to choose a pear or gala apple, I have to say. And for tea drinkers like me, it was excellent not having hot water polluted by being in a coffee pot - no, they actually used one of those lovely japanese hot water pots that keeps the water just below boiling, and offered a wide variety of teas to choose from. Tea that tastes like tea! Such a novel idea. location was good - it was easy to get to, there are plenty of shopping & dining options in the area if you don't mind chains. I didn't try the restaurant in the hotel - it was a bit loud for my liking, but par for the course for what is basically a sports bar. Didn't have a chance to try the pool or fitness centre. Wifi was fairly reliable and moderately strong...I was able to actually get some work done. Not the worst hotel I've stayed at - not even the worst hotel I've stayed at this month, but it could really use some updates. Don't think I'd stay here again without renos.

    « On The DECLINE !! »

I have stayed at this location often and was very disappointed. The room had a very musty smell and many of the items in the room were very dusty, the bathroom smelled like a public washroom and needed some TLC.In the restaurant for an early dinner with only 5 other diners it took an hour to get out out..and that was only ordering a burger and fries!! The bed and pillows were great, so I did have a good sleep.

Great place to not only do business, but the whole family can enjoy the facilities. Great food at reasonable prices, and a quiet atmosphere to catch up on work. I have stayed here many times and the service and helpfulness of the staff has never left me needing/wanting for anything.

« WORST HOTEL I HAVE YET TO STAY IN »

My husband and I booked this hotel for a wedding for two nights. It was a terrible experience. Our room smelt old and musty. 1 out of 4 lamps worked in our room. 3 lights in the bathroom were out as well. We were told our wifi password was in our envelope with our room keys. When we got back to our room we noticed it wasnt in there. No biggie. We call down to the front desk and no answer. We called 4 times...no one answered. My husband had to walk all the way down to the lobby which is actually a far trek from our room and no apologies were made. When we did get the password, the interest was so slow and kept cutting out completely. THe beds were semi comfortable which was the only acceptable part about this stay. The breakfast was awful as well. Not that i would normally care because its a free breakfast, cant really expect the world, however this one was actually gross....we choose not to eat there on the second morning of our stay. If this hotel was under $100 a night i would have probably let a lot of things slide however $360 for two nights in this crappy hotel was a huge disappointment. we will def reconsider before booking another best western again!

    « Good location....GREAT breakfast! »

My family and I recently stayed at this hotel while at a wedding in St. Catharines. The location was handy for us as it was very close to the highway exit. It's not scenic, but if you are travelling and need a place to stay...it's worthwhile giving this hotel a try. The staff are friendly and the room was a good size with 2 queen beds. The bathroom was very clean and well appointed. The only issue we had was that the beds were not very comfortable ( they sagged in the middle). Either they need to be flipped or replaced. The complimentary breakfast was terrific! Unlike many hotels that offer a small breakfast nook, this Best Western serves a hot/cold buffet in the sports bar attached to the hotel. The food was excellent and replenished often. Scrambled eggs, sausage, baked beans, pancakes, bagels, toast, assorted juices and fresh coffee...outstanding! Other hotels could learn a thing or two about serving breakfast from this venue. If you need a reasonably priced hotel while in St. Catharines give this place a try!

« 2 Night Stay in St Catharines »

Spent 2 nights at Best Western was a nice stay, enjoyed the pool & hot tub with the kids. Breakfast was included which was good with the kids. The rooms could have been more spacious. The bathroom was very small and hard to bath the kids.

    « Good night's rest!! »

The room was very comfortable and clean. Slept like the dead. The breakfast wasn't that great but OK. Staff was very pleasant. We would stay here again. The pool and hot tub were very nice. there were restaurants and Costco very close by. We went to the falls a couple of times 15-20 mins. Look up OH CANADA EH? dinner show. It was so much fun and the dinner was great fun too!!

    « Bathroom needs a Good Scrub »

I appreciate that this time of year is a high time for the area, but $200+ a night for this hotel is a bit much. The A/C unit hardly works and is very old. Our room had a balcony over looking the Costco parking lot, I am sure people use these areas to smoke, as our room smelled like stale cigarettes. The Bathroom, showers, floors and mirrors are in desperate need of a good scrub down. I have seen moldy pictures posted in previous posts and obviously no steps have been made to improve this. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the hotel has a pool and mini putt golf area. The bed and pillows are were very comfortable and appeared clean. The hotel is close to the highway and many vineyards. The hotel is also close to several restaurants and the Fairview Mall.

« Friendly staff, pleasant stay »

Very clean hotel, kind and helpful staff. Quite a confusing layout but you get your bearings fairly quickly. Decided against the free breakfast as there was a crazy amount of people in line and no tables available. A pleasant stay but what is with hockey parents letting their kids run wild at all hours??? Seriously, bring earplugs if you stay during a weekend.

The staff was very helpful. Loved having the sliding glass door to exit with our dog. The rooms were very clean and the room service was great. The hotel had everything anyone could possibly want. It was located centrally for touring wineries and Niagara-on-the-Lake.

    « Very pleased »

My husband and I travel a lot for pleasure. This hotel was one of the best we have stayed at. We were very pleased with the accommodations and the amenities. The staff was very helpful. The owner/manager made us feel welcome. He greeted us at breakfast and asked how we were enjoying our stay.
