    « Convenient and Affordable »

We stay here on our way to Port Canaveral for a cruise. The accommodations are comfortable and the staff is friendly. They offer a continental breakfast with a good variety. This motel is a little hard to find at first , but is close to downtown St. Augustine and all the attractions There are several restaurants within 1/2 mile. Rates are very reasonable for the area

    « good value »

This motel is just off the SR16 at the junction with I-95, but the entrance isn't very clear. We went to a BW in Brooklyn last year so had an idea of what to expect. The lobby is clean and well-presented but the chap who checked us in, Dympho, needs to go back to Charm School - there was no welcome and he snatched my credit card and ID from me. However, the room was clean and tidy (the dresser a little worn) and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom area was clean and tidy, but the toilet seat was broken. I reported this the following morning and was assured it would be sorted, but when we left a few days later, it still hadn't been replaced, although the missing axle for the toilet paper had been installed. The breakfast room was clean and a reasonable selection of food available - four cereals, yoghurts, bread, pastries, bagels, fruit, coffee, fruit juices, what the Americans jokingly call bacon, and a waffle maker. The attendant, Riccardo, also needs to go to Charm School - I stepped back out of his way twice and he never even acknowledged my presence. I thought the Yanks were supposed to be polite and good-mannered? On our return on the first full day, we found our bed hadn't been made up, although the hospitality tray had been replenished. The bed had been made on the second day. I believe there's a laundry for guests at the end of the block, but we didn't use this, or the fitness room. There's also a swimming pool behind the block. We noticed several lorries using the place as an overnight stop - these took up several parking slots, but there seemed to be no problem getting a space. Being so close to the motorway, there is some traffic noise.

« Convenient stop over location »

Right off 95. Old redone motel but clean rooms and comfortable beds. Park right outside your door. Nice breakfast to hold you over till the next stop. Hard to find, behind the Toco Bell. Excellent water pressure with nice hot water. Had a frig but no microwave.

    « Beware »

I am a 70 year old retired Air Force Officer that stayed at this motel for one night. When I returned home and checked my credit card statement I found an additional $150 charge. When I called the motel they said I was charged for a broken mirror in the room. Neither I or my wife broke a mirror in the room. In fact I stood in front of the mirror to shave on the day I checked out. It was not broken. I tried to speak with the manager but was never put through to management and management never returned any of my calls.

    2
    « Poor Exterior Appearance »

The rooms were adequate though unimpressive. The property looked like a "takeover" for BW and was a lower quality appearance than I expect from their properties. The staff was functional but not overly friendly

« some very good things to say! »

when we heard a major hurricane was headed our way we started looking for a reasonably priced hotel in case the stay would be longer than expected. online I booked with b.w. but because of changes in forecasts and plans at home I must've called this hotel 5 times to change dates. every time I called, even if I had to wait for a long time, the lady who answered the phone was professional and very courteous. i have to say i kind of marveled. after we checked in to a nice room on wed. of that week we didn't know what to expect as we live beachfront in a small cottage and really thought it might be gone after the storm. needless to say our anxiety level was high. we slept well though and the beds were great. the following day our city was told they had to evacuate so Thursday night was a full hotel, with a zillion dogs of every shape and size, and weary people with what belongings were precious or needed. we really expected a poor night of sleep. nope, even with the approaching storm and a packed hotel we heard nothing but the a/c when it kicked on. again i marveled! i mean there were a lot of people and dogs there! throughout our stay we were surprised how even with all the craziness going on that the hotel carried on. we lost power one night but that was to be expected. the one breakfast we ate there was very marginal, but i wasn't expecting much. the rooms weren't huge but adequate with a mini fridge which we used a lot! the main reason i wanted to write this review is to applaud the staff for their hard work to keep us comfortable while they got blown by the wind and rain. the highlight of our stay was Annette. she is the head of housekeeping. what a gem. greeted us by name whenever she saw us and really seemed to care we were doing ok. she deserves a bonus or a raise! also tonya, at the front desk was wonderful and she deserves a bonus too! overall this hotel was what we needed for this difficult time. thank you for a very good experience. you were there when we needed you!

    « Vacation »

Stopped here while on a trip to Port Canaveral for a vacation. The front desk personnel were pleasant enough and accommodated our slightly early check in. The room was very clean and bed slept very well. The breakfast was just ok but filling. Coffee is excellent. The TV services have a serious problem but they may have it repaired. There was several families staying here for what appeared to be a baseball tournament. The kids pretty much trashed the green areas with their litter. Responsible parents should have had them clean the entire area and not leave it to the motel personnel. I hope some of the parents read this post so they know other people watch them and their children misbehaving badly. So very rude to others.

    « Comforting Place During a Hurricane »

We stayed at the hotel for two days during Hurricane Matthew. The employees were very kind, patient and accommodating. Wish it had been for pleasure, but it was a comforting place during a hurricane! Many of the tourists to our area love this location as it's next to outlet shopping.

    2
« Not worth the price »

The only good thing about this hotel is that it is right off Rt. I95. It was not close to anything. We had to drive to everything we wanted to see in St. Augustine. If you want to stay at a Best Western stay downtown.

    5
« Stayed while working on my boat »

This hotel is very nice. Rooms were clean and well organized. Close to I 95 for running to Jacksonville Only 10 minutes from the St Augustine Marine center. The staff was friendly and breakfast was decent.

    « Needs Updating »

We have stayed at this motel twice inthe past 5 years, and it seems to be going downhill. It is in the middle of updating, which is needed, but the staff does not appear to be as competent or friendly as in the past (new ownership?). For some reason, we were given a room on the pool side of the building, so we had a haul our luggage @30-40 yards as opposed to being able to parking in front of our room. The room faced I-95, so we heard trucks all night. The breakfast was OK, but service was not as friendly. The room rate is good, but we were surprised by the small number of other guests that night (?). We will think twice about staying there again.

    4
« Clean and Value for your Money »

Good, Clean & Value for your Money - Location is good - Hot breakfast was excellent and on par with most higher price Hotels in the Area - Outer appearance is the only thing that is not as appealing as other choices in the area, but if you get a good deal, it make out for that

    4
    « Checked in: »

The check in had a little problem, I missed the first day of the reservation ad the young man had a hard time registering us for the night but the manager helped him and it was not that bad of a problem. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was good.

    3
« Clean hotel, pet friendly »

Very inexpensive, about 15 minutes to downtown St Augustine/beach area. Room was clean and contained a refrigerator. Accepts pets!! Comfy bed and A/C worked great! Direct TV channel line up. Nice outdoor pool.

    4
    « Great breakfast »

The hotel was clean and they left a heart shaped towel on the need to welcome us. It was nice and the staff are friendly. It is next to Denny's and a gas station which is convenient. It also had a taco bell within walking distance. Do not expect a view because it is right by the high way buildings and a busy road. The breakfast was great! The provided a large variety and they're staff there that helped with everything. The dining room was small so we took our plates back to our room. The beds are stiff and there was not a comforter. Just thin blankets but everything was nice for the price which we thought was reasonable for this hotel. We would go back.

    3
    « Not the best »

Ok but not great, reception nothing exceptional said hi and welcome, asked for id etc gave room key, no lifts here, luckily rooms only on 2 levels, our room (200) had a musky smell to it, found hairs in bathroom, bed ok but biggest problem was the noise from the air con - this you have to have on but it is so loud, it kept us awake most the night! Breakfast also ok but not great either

    5
« Right place to be »

A little bit outside of St Augustine but the price is much more cheaper than in other places. Extremely clean rooms and I know what I mean. Breakfast ?? is perfect for the American standard. I was astonished about the different things to eat for breakfast in an American hotel/motel. The service is perfect, especially the black fellow serving the breakfast room. Man I mean you, you're right. Special thanks to you for your kindness. If I return to St.Augustine I will come back to this Best Western, i promise ?? if my English isn't perfect please apologize, I am German ??

    5
« Great place to stay! »

Centrally located. Can't get any better for seeing St Augustin. I fell in love with the place the minute I walked in. The receptionist was so sweet and helpful, she made us feel at home. There were free newspapers, lots of tourist info, and coffee! The bed was awesome although the room was a bit small. Ironing board, iron, fridge were all there. Breakfast was adequate.

    3
    « Would rate it 3.5 if I could »

First off, we don't regret staying here. It's worth the price (which is pretty cheap). However there are some pros and cons Pros: the price, fairly clean, decent breakfast, close to restaurants, easy highway access, fridge in the room, they let us check in early, 10-15 minute drive to downtown St Augustine, 5 min away from outlets Cons: Sugar ants in the room, maids did not come to tidy room or give us towels or empty the trash (which is important because of the sugar ants!) and when we called the office we were told that no maids were here and we had to walk to the office to get more towels. Overall you get what you pay for, and frankly in this price range I've seen worse. We would stay again if we were working with a budget.

    5
« Good for the price »

We stayed here 3 nights, it is a basic hotel, clean and friendly service. Very close to restaurants and a short drive from the amenities in St. Augustine. It was more affordable and it turned out to be a great choice. Very happy with my stay.

    « Good deal »

    Clean,nice comfy bed,realy good deal for$80 a night price range,free good breakfast,good location close to shoping outlest,15 - 20 minuts drive to historick St.Augustine,Vilano beach,St.Augustine beach

« Very nice and clean »

This hotel was extremely nice. It was clean and welcoming. The staff was kind and friendly! Do not go to the Taco Bell that is right in front of it!!!! It was slow and not good at all. Our overall stay in St Augustine was amazing and it was nice to come back here I highly recommend this hotel. There is not a mini fridge in the hotel room but they do have an ice machine.

    5
« Relaxing, Quiet, Reasonable Price »

This Best Western is close to many restaurants and to the St. Augustine Outlets. Our room was upstairs facing the pool. It was comfortable and satisfactory for a budget priced room to stay the night. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The hot food area is next door to the lobby and the food variety was sufficient to satisfy most breakfast choices. If you arrive there for breakfast and the place seems crowded, there is another room at the back and to the left with more tables and seats.

    5
    « Best Western »

I have not been down there in quite a few years, but I was very glad to see that the hotel still have good people to help with the check in and the room was very clean....Overall, I have not found a Best Western that I don't like....they are safe and well kept, both outside and inside...Their continental breakfast have not waivered....I do hope that they continue to maintain their standards...as I am hoping to return in six months....

    5
    « Great Every T ime! »

My daughter attends Flagler College and I've been using this Best Western as my place to stay when I visit her or pick her up / drop off. The pool is great and the rooms are really nice with very comfy beds! I'll be returning for sure!

    5
    « Great Customer Service & Location »

This hotel has been renovated. The room was nicely decorated and had all the amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We asked about different places we wanted to go & they were very helpful & pleasant. The hotel was very accessable from the major highway. The continental breakfast was surprisingly good. I look forward to staying there again when I return to St Augustine. You are minutes away from historical downtown & the outlets are to die for.

    5
    « ! Super weekend ?????? »

It is our second visit to St. Augustine and was better than the last time, a super hotel. great customer care, cleanliness and organization in general by the entire team from reception to cleaning rooms. the hotel is in very good pocision of restaurants, shopping and the interstate I 95.

    3
    « RUDE »

Hotel was clean and bug free but that's it. Front desk/ owner was rude and unaccommodating, poor attitude. I travel with my job and stay in hotels more then 1/2 the month. I expect people to be polite and accommodating when I am booked for 8 nights. They were not. This property stays near the bottom of my list

    4
« Great price, great hotel »

This hotel was all it was advertised to be. It is a Best Western that holds up a great name. The price was better than the local competitors and the service/amenities were very nice. Breakfast was the excellent start to a new day. I would go back there anytime I was returning to that part of St Augustine, FL.

    5
« Close to downtown and great restaurants around it. »

Quit and safe. Pool was great. We stayed in 2006 or 2007. Maids were great kept our room clean. Our balcony faced the interstate. But didn't here the traffic while we slept. It made me pick a year and it is wrong.

« You get what you pay for, but it is fair »

When we stayed it was very noisy in the morning. We checked in late, but the room was clean and the bed was very clean and large. I love how they put the remote in a "Fresh Remote" bag too. The details they provide for a clean stay are what makes it pleasurable and welcoming. The only complaint was how my boyfriend and I could hear the family beside us talking, it was so loud. The people on the other side were having sex extremely loud, so it was impossible to fall asleep after we were woken by the noisy atmosphere at 6 AM. The breakfast was fair, the staff that was in charge were rude though. The wifi is terrible too. But I would say if you're looking for a cheap, but clean stay I would say this is your best bet.

    3
    « Overnight stay at BW 95 »

Decided to save a little $$ and stay a bit farther out for our one night in St. Augustine. It was a good decision. I can see the appeal of staying in the historic areas of the city, but for one night, this BW met all our needs. Drove in to ST. Aug and spent the day sight seeing - was a 10 - 15 drive to this hotel. Found it clean and comfortable. A few restaurant options within walking distance, which was helpful with two young kids. Didn't use the pool, but it looked fine. Bfast was busy and very crowded with the usual options (they did have 'hot' items of eggs, sausage, etc). Waffle maker too. We were just passing through and this is very easy on/off of I-95. No complaints, everything was fine.

    1
    « go somewhere else »

room condition poor, pool unusable, breakfast fair, all exterior entrance rooms. Bathroom floor flooded from room above every day. maintenance head speaks very little English, not particularly interested in fixing things. Breakfast staff were nice and efficient, however bacon and "eggs" were generally cold.

    3
« Would no go back »

Got there @ 1:30. Told check-in not until 3. There were no maid's carts in sight anywhere! The rooms were obviously ready but desk clerk would not let us check-in early. Instead she kept pushing me to take the Trolley Tour of the historic district. I was very tired after a long road trip and when I said I'd ask my husband she called the shuttle and started handing me coupons, when we found out from the shuttle driver that it was a 1 1/2 hour ride in an open car in 95 degree heat we said no thanks and went somewhere air conditioned to wait it out. when we got back she asked why we didn't go and seemed annoyed.

    5
    « Spotless and amazing »

Had no issue discovering inn. Check in was brisk and immediately. Room was extremely agreeable and had a decent rest. Breakfast was great with a veriaty of oats, breads, and waffle blend. Grouped espresso and juices.

    5
    « Nice »

The room was pleasant, impeccable and sensible. The work region individual was friendly and pleasing. If you don't have a coupon, ask what refunds they regard. There are a couple. this is not a luxurious hotel but instead it is a conventional spot to stop for a night's rest. they in like manner served a light breakfast.

    3
    « Mid-quality but clean. »

Room was clean. Bathroom was clean. Leisure areas, Pool etc.. was not what I expected. My wife was going to stay at pool while I worked, but there was not sufficient chairs there not was the upkeep around the Pool what we normally expect. We decided to check out on the 2nd day and find another place.

    3
    « Great location »

Great to be in walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Parking was tight and our air conditioning did not work sometimes. Other than that it was a comfortable stay. Free breakfast was convenient and staff was friendly.

    5
    « Perfect »

Clean rooms and agreeable individuals. Perfect and icy swimming pool. Did not have a solitary issue the whole week I remained. Close strolling separation to eateries and stores. Close separation to Helen also. Would cheerfully stay once more. :)

« Served Our Purpose Well »

We stayed here back in April, 2016 while attending the Ancient City National, Mustang Club of America event at the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind. The property was neat and well kept, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was very good. Although we didn't see a lot of St. Augustine, the location seemed fairly central to all that we did manage to see. The intersection where you turn into the property is very congested and, in my opinion, dangerous but once past that you're good. The property shows some age but, again, is well-kept and neat. Our group stayed in the back so parking was more than ample for our car haulers, trailers, and Mustangs. Even within the close proximity to the interstate, noise was minimal and was never a bother or distraction. Several restaurants are located within walking distance (Ruby Tuesday, Cracker Barrel, Denny's, etc.) and by walking distance, I mean only a few hundred steps. This comes from a man who bought a golf cart so I don't have to walk to the mailbox which is only about 100 feet from my front door.So when I write walking distance, I really mean "walking distance". There are a couple of huge malls just across the road and interstate so if shopping is on the agenda, a quick taxi ride and you can shop away. No Wal-Mart close by so if you need stuff like that then you better obtain before check-in. I can recommend this hotel for the price point, service, and general location. I would stay here again if I were in the area.

  • 4
« Trip to the mountains »

On our way back home, we stopped at this hotel for one night. We have stayed here before and the location is excellent, next to I-95. The place was very clean and good breakfast, the have hot and cold buffet. can't complain. Good value for the price.

    5
    « good »

nice, comfortable and rewarding experience, excellent hotel staff.memberable days and memorable nights good an excelleent swimming pool.good foodgood breakfast etc.friendly atmosphere i would recommend to friends and relatives and inlaws.

    4
    « Just right »

We booked this hotel on the way down to the beach for just a night. We were looking for something close to the interstate, not knowing much about the area. We booked the Best Western. Finding it was a breeze, it is literally feet off of 95. Check in was quick and painless, the room was clean and comfortable. They had a "real" breakfast the next morning before we rolled out and check out was a snap. Staff was friendly. It 's a very convenient location with the out let malls close by and several places to eat. I would definitely stay here again.

    3
« Overpriced in my opinion »

Really nothing special about this place and I truly believe its overpriced. Th breakfast room/area was super tight. Not many options and some food was cold (supposed to be hot). One major complaint of mine was that they have those little square pillows where instead of one long one you get two squares, and I find these highly agitating because they aren't big enough to roll side to side or anything so you kind of have to put two together. the alarm clock wasn't plugged in and I didn't want to try and find out where the cord was. Only one ice machine could usually make it through the morning rush. Be careful pulling in and out of property because there is lots of cross traffic and can get a bit hectic.

    5
    « Amazing and reasonable »

Everything at the inn was extraordinary, exceptionally agreeable and clean, the rooms are cutting edge and reasonable, Jaidyn and Hiten, were awesome, they are an advantage for BEST WESTERN St extremely supportive and learned. I would prescribe this Hotel to everybody, couples and families, singles and companions. Pet amicable which is awesome for our four legged relatives.

    3
    « Good until checkout »

Would have given higher starts if it wasn't for the hour spent at checkout. The room was nice and as good as expected. However upon checking out we were told our card was somehow declined which made no sense since we paid a week in advanced via trip advisor. We sat there while the receptionist was on the phone and accomplished nothing until she understood the rates were different which had nothing to do with us. It was still never explained but at least we finally were able to leave.

    5
« Minutes to Attractions, easy in and out »

We were not able to spend more than a morning in St Augustine on this trip, but we did want to stop and then get on the road home...this BEST WESTERN was ideal--easy, immediate access to I-95 but less than 10 minute easy drive to the center of Old St Augustine. Perfect!

    5
    « Great renovations »

This hotel has done many really nice renovations. The work out room is nice, pool was great. The front desk staff was wonderful. Breakfast was very good, they have it in a renovated room on the first floor. The room was very nice and very clean. We will stay here again.

    4
    « Cute little hotel »

Cute little hotel. Nice and clean. Friendly staff. Serves its purpose as a stopping point to Key West. Denny's and Taco Bell in parking lot. Many other places up road to eat. Breakfast starts at 6:30. Bathroom nice and clean. Small two story hotel off interstate.

    4
« Decent place for decent price »

This was a decent over night stay. The hotel was an older building but looked to be majorly updated. Everything was fine. I checked in late at night and the lobby was locked. I had to talk the to receptionist thru a little window. Not sure why they needed to be so secure. The room was fine, clean, neat, etc. The only issue was that it feel and smelled very muggy and wet. Not sure why. It was room 159.

    « Decent Stay »

We needed to stay in the area for a family event over Memorial Weekend. There were no rooms available for miles around. We were glad we had booked enough ahead to find a room available. It was comfortable enough, clean, and reasonably priced. The rooms have the typical, noisy in the wall under the window air/heat unit. And there were a few noisy people outside. But I guess you can't get away from that when the room doors all open from the outside (as opposed to being enclosed in a hallway) and parking is in front of your door. This BW is located in a very busy area, near the outlet mall, close to I-95. The motel's driveway is in an awkward spot for getting in and out of such a busy area. Especially with so much holiday traffic! And you have to drive THROUGH the Taco Bell parking lot (around cars lined up at the drive-thru) just to get to the BW lobby area and parking. Strange set-up! But we made the best of it!!

    5
    « Amazing and Agreeable »

This was a perfect, agreeable room, with Wi-Fi and Breakfast, and so forth. The thing I enjoyed, in any case, is the way that this specific area did not have a Low Flow Shower. I am just for sparing assets, yet in the event that you need to remain under the shower twice as long in light of the fact that it is low stream, you aren't sparing anything. This property gets this. That was the best shower all in all trek this time.

    5
« Didnt expect much but...... »

We didnt expect much, as this was a holiday weekend and rhis was what we could get. It turned out to be a great stop. Room was a bit dated, but VERY clean. Air conditioner wasnt working when we arrived, but a call to the front desk had someone replacing the unit in less than 10 minutes. Breakfast (included in room rate) was excellent and there were two or three workers helping people get their food, as well as keeping items stocked. Pool area is pristine and very relaxing. The people that own/run this hotel have worked very hard to keep it up to date and nice for a family. All workers were very courteous and very helpful. We would stay here again.

    4
« Reasonably priced area hotel »

This BW is outside of the busy area of St Augustine -which is what we were looking for. The room was comfortable. Breakfast area needs help-very crowded first day, next day less crazy. Nice that restaurants near by.

    2
    « Very Unpleasant Smell »

This is the second time we've stayed at this location. The SMELL(MOLDY) was even worse than before. Carpets were DAMP and AC was noisy and didn't remove moisture from the room. Staff was very nice. Bed comfortable. Breakfast room dark and un appealing.

    3
« Not your dad's Best Western... But not bad either »

Like most motels, you show up at the lobby and you are dazzled by how nice it is. This one is no different. After you get to your room however, things look a little different This motel is located just off I-95. Very convenient. Denny's right next to it. So far so good. The room was clean, we never sighted a bug. the A/C was a bit noisy but worked. I only had 2 problems with the place. 1) Out of 3 ice machines, only 1 was operational, and it was a long walk away. it was also tapped out of ice. 2) For some reason, motel operators seem to have latched onto the idea that darker is better. The lighting was by 13 watt bulbs. If your spouse needs to get dressed for a night on the town, you better bring a lamp cause the the bathroom area is DIM. The pool area was pretty well kept up, but as others have noted, the infrastructure of the place needs to be worked on. (Perhaps less for the lobby and more for the rest of the place is in order). Our night's rest was comfortable, and besides the lighting, everything in the room worked. I have to hand it to housekeeping, they did a good job cleaning and preparing the room. One note - there are non smoking and smoking rooms available. If you need a place to stay overnight while traveling, this will do. The price was very reasonable for the time of the year. The parking lot is well lit.

    « Nice stay »

We were on our way to Savannah traveling by motorcycle and needed to stay overnight it was a most enjoyable stay. The location was near many eating places and close to the interstate. The room was clean and the A/C worked well

    « Very Comfortable room »

That was so good. Staff was so nice i like it. My room was so clean and bathroom was clean and shinny. i wana say amazing service no extra noise cool air everything was fine and good i love it. At morning they offer free breakfast. free internet. the big thing is it fit in my budget i recommend this hotel

    « Outstanding Experience »

Among the very many good things about this hotel is that it's only about six miles from trolley stop #1 in downtown St Augustine. There is a Denny's next door and it's seconds from I-95. Oh! And it's a lot more reasonable than six miles away. What's not to like?

« Room Without A Toilet? Really, Yes, really! »

Room was adequate, pool is very nice. Property had been somewhat updated, but show signs of some neglect and wear and tear. We noticed immediately that the toilet was stopped up, would not flush liquids (did not try solids). I advised the front desk and after what I considered unnecessary questioning and validation, they said they would have somebody come right up. I advised that we were going to go next door for something to eat and they said it would be resolved when we got back. One hour later, we returned, and the toilet was still stopped up. I called the front desk again; they said the maintenance guy came up and nothing was wrong with the toilet. Yes, we verified room number, etc. The front desk sent up another maintenance guy (different guy) with a plunger, who proceeded to take a hand full of toilet tissue, put it in the toilet and flush it. Guess what, it stopped up (now we have water all over the floor). He called the front desk and told them that the toilet was stopped up. Then he advised us that another maintenance guy would come up with a snake to clear the line. Nobody ever showed. We called the front desk again. They said the guy with the snake went up there and cleared the toilet. I advised we had not left the room and nobody had showed up. They said they would send him up again. Never showed. Again, called the office and advised that we were going to go to the pool for a little while and they assured me that the toilet would be fixed when we got back. Back from pool; toilet still stopped up, water still on floor. Called front desk, no answer; went down to front desk. They said they would send up a maintenance guy. Nobody ever showed. Long story, and long night, short, we never had a working toilet. Next morning, complained to front desk clerk. He said it was not his problem because he was not working yesterday. He said the manager would be in at 8:00, but was usually late, so it may be a little later. I advised that we needed to get on the road and he assured me that he would have the manager call me and he took my cell number. The manager never called - big surprise. If you want to pay a hundred bucks for a room with a nice pool and no toilet, this is your place.

« Nice clean room, very comfortable »

We stayed here one night, king bed. Room was spacious and very clean. Nice size TV, and the breakfast was great - the breakfast area was in a separate room next to the lobby. Plenty of seating. Food was great, waffles, eggs, bacon etc. Only drawback was there was no 'fridge or microwave in room. However, there was a small microwave for use in the lobby. Nice outdoor pool. Fitness room. Priced right - one can save about 20 percent off room cost if it is booked online ahead of time. Would stay here again, and would recommend this hotel to others.

« Very convenient to I-95 and 7 miles from downtown »

My wife and I picked this for an overnight stop on our way to South Florida. Very clean room on the inner courtyard (less noisy here). This is in the motel style with exterior entrance and standard commercial size rooms. Less than a half mile I believe from the exit to I-95. Good value.

    5
    « Newly remodeled rooms »

This hotel is quite comfortable and clean. Excellent value. Would definitely stay again. Nice breakfast also. Near outlet mall and easy access to I-95. Lots of parking. Friendly staff. Clean inside and out.

    « Comfortable stay! »

We had a room with a king size bed. The bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean. We had a very large HD television with Direct TV. The hotel offered a complimentary hot and cold breakfast. Grounds were well kept. Many eating places nearby. Being on State Rd 16 made it an easy ride to the city of St Augustine and also more affordable because it wasn't right in the city.

    4
    « quiet and affordable »

stayed for 4 nights which included a weekend, the hotel is just off the I95 but very quiet, close to major outlet stores, and just minutes from downtown historical city. Very affordable and the staff during our stay were constantly upgrading and cleaning but never in the way.. pool was smaller but clean. check in staff were helpful and friendly. rooms were large and clean. . thanks

    « good motel »

we stay here one night every year because it is beside the outlet mall. Rooms are clean and newly updated but a little expensive. Their is plenty to do around here a far as eating and shopping. We have had a couple of nights that noise was a problem but over all not a bad place to stop for a night.

    3
« All right for a "cheap" night to sleep for one night/not great »

Pros: free breakfast in the morning - hot waffles were decent. (However, "eggs" were fake - not great - barely edible.) The staff were nice. Cons: I went to take a bath and there were hairs from the previous occupant floating up on the water! I didn't complain because there was no point... I didn't feel comfortable with taking a bath at that point. It was kind of gross. The accommodations here were very basic. Also, we were on the second floor and there were no elevators.

    4
    « Comfortable »

Hotel is close to interstate. All rooms have outdoor access and there are outdoor stairs to second floor. Room was comfortable and clean. No microwave or fridge in room. Does have hair dryer, iron and ironing board and small single cup coffee maker. Outdoor pool...we were rushed so didn't use so can't comment on that. Breakfast had a wide variety...from cold cereal, to eggs, bacon, waffles and toast. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Hotel is close (but not walking distance) to some shopping including a Publix. We would stay again.

    5
« Excellent Hotel and Stay! »

The hotel was very easy to get to from I95. The staff was very nice and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. I loved that the remote was "certified" clean and in a bag. The only complaint was the wifi. We had the user name/password, but could not get connected. Other than that, great stay!

    4
    « best western stay »

This hotel was fine. it was just off I-95 with easy access. the only true complaint was that the toilet is to low and it was hard to get on and off and we also found the beds to be somewhat uncomfortable. All said, we would stay here again.

    « Best Western St. Augustine I-95 »

Inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. Right off highway. Very noisy. Setting is horrible. Room clean but very sparse and dated. Internet access and TV ok. Breakfast what you would expect. OK for a couple of nights but you are not going to want to stay here for any length of time.

    5
    « Perfectly located »

We drive South in December and return north in April and this hotel is very conveniently located off I-95 to stop overnight on the way. They serve a very nice breakfast and there is a Denny's right next door and lots of restaurant within driving distance.

    3
    « Clean comfortable room but $$$$$ »

Room was clean and comfortable Everything worked properly, wifi very good It was a busy weekend in the area and price was much higher than advertised in coupon book. Hot day AC worked well but a little noisy. No frig or microwave. We travel with and dog and used this facility because they are dog friendly. Would stay again but hope for a better price.

« Great place and staff! »

We stayed here on the way to the Florida Keys. Rooms are roomy and super clean! Hot breakfast is great and the staff are great folks! Definitively will stay here again! The grounds are clean and has a great pool. Free Wifi too, right off interstate and only 5 miles to downtown!

« The Best Option for the Best Price off of 95 in St Augustine »

No frills but the room was clean, comfortable and convenient ~ recently updated. Quiet room, directly off of the highway but removed enough that it was private and safe. New mattress in our room made for a restful night. Great location with various dining options (we LOVED the thai place 1/2 mile away) and in walking distance to outlet shopping if that's your thing. 20 minutes to Historic St Augustine. We just needed a place to sleep on our way back north and enjoyed the nice hot breakfast before checking out in the morning. Great last-minute weekend rate via Tripadvisor. What more do want for the money?

« Came for Bike Week And Enjoyed Myself »

I came down to FL to take part in some of the bike week festivities going on down there, and I had a really good time. I stayed at this Best Western and wasn't expecting anything spectacular, but to my surprise, the place is renovated pretty well (it's an older motel), has an EXTREMELY friendly staff, was clean, and it was just a good deal. I'll def stay here again next year when I ride down!

    1
    « Pet Friendly - NOT »

Made a reservation for this hotel for February 2016 which I have just cancelled. Booked this hotel for 3 nights as it was pet friendly and close to friends of ours that we were coming to visit. Not only is there a charge each night for our small dog but also a one time cleaning fee of $100.00 (we were only planning on staying 3 nights). Decided to stay at a higher rated hotel for the extra $$ fee fee but cleaning fee..

    3
« Better off spending a little more and staying somewhere else »

This location is a motel and very close to i-95... which is great for getting on and off the interstate, but not good for seeing downtown. It wasn't so much the drive to downtown that was disappointing as the aesthetics of the overall property. The plus was the friendly service and the quality of the breakfast buffet. However seating for breakfast was not accommodating. Also our room air conditioner leaked all over the floor and left a large 3 x 3 foot area of cold wet carpet. I like to get value for my dollar when traveling with my family and still recommend spending $20 - $40 more a night for a better location and an actual hotel.

    5
    « Clean quiet rooms »

The hotel is off of the I-95. Take the 318 exit and stay on your left. Turn left at the light and drive under the bridge. Passing the light, stay to your left because you are going to turn left at the first median where there is a No U turn sign. You are not making a U turn but you will turn left here. The hotel is behind the Taco Bell restaurant. The hotel has two floors and the doors to the rooms are outside. There are cameras all over the property for your safety. The property is also very well lit. There are no elevators to get to the second floor so if you can't walk up the stairs request a bottom floor. The property also has a small gym with a bathroom (it was locked so I don't know if you can use it) a sink to wash your hands, a water cooler, treadmill, stationary bike, a machine to work out your arms (I don't know the name of it), and a step machine. It also has a window A/C unit so that you can control the temperature in the small gym. The hotel is built in an "L" shape. The base of the "L" is its own building and separated by stairs from the rest of the building. There are stairs on both ends of this building. The long part of the "L" shape is divided into two buildings and separated by stairs at the far end, middle, and closest end to the lobby. In the middle of the property is a cute little garden with a pathway to walk and a pool that has a fence around it along with bushes to give you some privacy. The pool has lounge chairs and tables. The shallowest end is 3 ft deep while the deepest end is 8 ft. The water is not heated. On the other side of the pool are 3 gazebos to sit in and relax. This part of the property faces the highway that is next to the hotel. It can be loud depending on the amount of traffic. Rooms do face this direction so if you want a quieter room, ask for a room on the backside of the hotel. They have a vending area with one snack machine (prices range from $0.75-$1.25), soda machine (sodas are $1 and bottled waters are $1.50), and 2 ice machines (the ice machine is free). You can use your credit card to pay for snacks or insert dollar bills. The second floor has an ice machine on far end in between the base of the "L" and long side. The lobby is at the entrance of the property next to the enormous carport. In the lobby there are couches and a coffee table, bathrooms, a water fountain, a small business area with a computer, and the front desk. This is the second time Andrea has checked me in and it was a pleasant experience. As she was checking me in she also received phone calls and had more people walk in. She handled it like a professional and took care of 2 people and 2 different phone calls in under 4 min all while keeping calm and being professional. There is free wifi at the hotel and it has good speed. I did not have any trouble connecting or have problems waiting to web pages to load. The property also has 2 sets of washers and dryers for you to clean your clothes with. It is located in the far back corner of the property on the first floor. They also have a soap box dispenser where you can buy a small box of soap for $1. The washing machine and dryer costs $2 each. The doorless open room that it is located in is dark but when you walk in, the light automatically turns on. If you want to smoke, you have to go outside your door or be in the parking lot. This is a smoke free hotel. The rooms also have free local calls under 30 min and free long distance access (meaning you don't get double charged if you have a calling card). There are also adjoining rooms if you need it. The breakfast room is located in room 101 (it's actually labeled breakfast room) right behind the lobby. Breakfast is from 6:30am-9:30am. When you enter the room, there is a seating area with a 4 tables and chairs and tv to watch the news. As you continue walking to the back, there is a second room where there is more seating along one wall and on the opposite side is the breakfast food. They have fruit drinks like orange juice, apple juice, passo-guava, water, milk, coffee, tea, bread, pastries, bagels, muffins, cold cereal, hot cereal, sausage links, scrambled egg patties, and make your own waffles. The hotel room is very spacious. It has a big screen LCD TV on top of a three drawer dresser. They have DirecTV as the provider. Next to it is a desk with a lamp that has an outlet at the base to plug in your computer. The chair is leather and semi-comfortable. The bottom felt like it had no cushion. There is also a guest directory binder that has all the info you need about safety and things to do in Saint Augustine. The bed was firm and springy. I thought it was comfortable. They also leave you 4 pillows on each bed that are very fluffy and comfortable. The sink area has the ironing board and iron hanging on the wall. The one cup coffee maker is located here along with the coffee packets, cups, and ice bucket. The suitcase stand is tucked underneath the counter. The area to hang your clothes is also here. There is no mini fridge in the room but I do know that room 105 does have a mini fridge. The bathroom is small but the shower feels big. Towels for four people are provided. The toilet has a low pressure flush. The shower head is high pressured and you can adjust the water flow by rotating the outside ring of the shower head. To turn the shower head on, rotate the water knob that is in between the water spout below and the show head above. Once the water is going, pull the lever that is on the water spout up. This transfers the flow of water from the spout to the shower head. To turn the water off, rotate the knob again. The bar of shower soap that is provided lasts for about 6 showers. There is no in room safe. I did not hear my neighbors at all during the night. Overall, I enjoyed the room for the amount of time I was there. It was clean and comfortable and that's all I wanted. This is my second time staying at this hotel and I have another future stay planned at this hotel.

« Best Western Hotel St. Augustine, FL »

Good location right off Interstate 95. Good parking close to rooms. Many Chain Restaurants in easy access to this hotel and they are all National known. The Check Out staff was professional and helpful and wanted to know if there was any problems during our stay.

    « Trip to St.Augustine »

Need to improve quality and cleanness of rooms. Breakfast lady was so rude and not even smile at you. Billed differently for all 5 rooms. Need renovation or change the exercise room. It feels like over priced for rooms.

    4
« Bargain close to town and beach »

If you are willing to drive a few miles to the downtown resort area, this facility is a bargain. Neat and clean, but definitely an older motel. The pool was excellent and clean. I hate cloudy water and this pool sparkles. Breakfast area is small and gets congested so I suggest being an early bird.

« Ya know, I'd stay here again, maybe, if I got a good enough deal »

My air conditioner didn't work in my room, so it was balmy in there the first night. I asked them to fix it. I come home that night, and my room door is standing wide open. Luckily, nothing is missing. I complain, and they knock $30 off one night's room, out of 3 nights x 6 rooms in our party. The night clerk is very rude. The ice maker doesn't work on our floor. The pool isn't heated in winter. The hotel is very difficult to turn out out of and into. It's bike week, so there's tons of bikers everywhere, and nowhere to park because they've got all their bikes and their trailers and their trucks and their crap parked sideways everywhere. The washing machine is outside with no door, so you have to sit there and watch your clothes. The breakfast is lackluster. But, the price is pretty good for where we are. I'd probably stay here again if they cut me a deal. maybe. Nothing special, except they have DishNetwork with about every channel you could ever want.

« A Decent Place to Spent the Night »

We spent the night there on our way to Port Canaveral and a cruise. This is an older Best Western, but it was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was pretty good. If you want to explore St. Augustine, this is close and convenient to the interstate as well.

    2
    « Over Priced »

I needed a quick 1 night stop for a last minute business trip. Desk Clerk not overly friendly and there was no breakfast even though it was advertised. The Room - Toilet did not flush properly, air conditioner was slow to come on, and there were holes in the curtains. I won't be back!

« It is what it is. »

This is an old motor hotel likely built during the Kennedy years when Interstate 95 was a baby. To the credit of the owners they have refurbished the hotel but their comes a point in the lives of structures such as this that they are best left to the real "budget" brands. The hotel is a mismash with an old bedroom as the gym the breakfast area all connected with separate rooms that were likely part of the original restaurant/ kitchen/hotel bar. The doors open to the outside and we could see the sunlight coming through in the morning. The hotel has likely had 60 years of settling in the Florida sand. It is reasonably clean, tired in spots, not what the new BW brand is all about. The staff ace really great and help, make up for the defencies of the hotel. For the price, it is fine for a late night stop off the Interstate.

    4
« Quick stopover for one night. »

Just needed a place to rest our heads for the night. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but didn't expect fancy for the price we paid. Breakfast was ok not the best but was free. I wouldn't stay here for an extended time but for one night it worked fine. It is close to the interstate so there is some interstate noise.

    3
    « Over Priced »

We stayed at this hotel during Bike Week. It was way over priced. Room was old with cracks in wall. Not my choice but only place left with rooms under 200. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Door going in room was bent so it was hard to close the door. It was a OK stay however paying $165.00 a night because of bike week was a little ridiculous!

    5
    « Just off the I95 »

We were driving from Toronto and this was our second stopover and it's perfect as it's just off the I95 and check in was fast and we walked to Ruby Tuesday for dinner. It's just a place to rest our head after a long day on the road and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was fine, no complaints at all.

    3
« Not bad for the price, but not great. »

We were assigned this hotel from a website where you choose a price range and they choose a hotel in a highlighted area for you. It was not in the ideal location, we were hoping to stay a little bit closer to the historic St. Augustine area. The motel however isn't far from the downtown area, it's just right off the interstate. The rooms were better than we were expecting from the outside of the motel. They had been updated somewhat recently. The carpet was a little iffy, but the bathrooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. It was a little loud in our room. There were a few people being loud in the walkways right outside the window of our room. Overall, if you need a quick cheap spot to stop for a night, this Best Western will do just fine. If you're wanting to be in Downtown St. Augustine or on vacation, you're way better off choosing one of the other two Best Westerns (Spanish Quarters or Bayfront) in the historic area.

« A good choice on the 95 near the Outlets »

After a long day of driving, we used a travel coupon found at a gaz station to get a very decent price for a good bedroom on the highway near St. Augustine, Florida and a short walking distance to the shopping outlets. The price was right for a 2 Queen comfortable, clean and quiet room on the 2nd floor of the hotel. Beware that there are no elevators to get there but it is only one flight of stairs. We slept very well and were pleased with the hot breakfast offered to us (waffles, fruits, cereals, bacon, eggs etc.) with good juice and coffee. Only an outside pool but we thought we had a deal!

    « Poor »

This hotel, weel located, with restaurants, Outlets in the area needs to be renovated, brought up to today standards, That we have come to expected in a Best Western properties. A good clean up and new Equipment should do the job. The breakfast was ok as expected.

    4
    « Excellent location »

Perfect for being the St. Augustine area and right off I95. Also many restaurants to choose from. Just a little louder than I wanted being close to main road. Rooms were very clean and parking seemed efficient. Close to many things

    2
    « Our stay »

Arrived to find there is no refrigerator or microwave. The chain lock on the door was broken. Arrived back to the room to find it was not serviced. Bed not made, towels on the floor and cups left laying around. That was day one. On the plus side the breakfast area was good for the price. There was bacon, a big plus, with plenty of room to set.

    3
    « Just ok »

the workers were great, but the room was just ok. Kinda bummed that the pool was not heated. If you want the white at Augustine experience and don't have to worry about having to find a parking spot stay at the best western in the historical district

I stayed here for the first time ever and for the first time in a hotel, I wasn't sure of what to do but the ladies at the front desk were very helpful and sweet. « Great Location »

Stayed at this Best Western while going to the Daytona 500. Was 45 minutes away but a lot less expensive. Great hotel, easy highway access, loved the waffles at breakfast. Next year will come a little earlier and visit St. Augustine.

    3
« Nice looking, but a little disappointing »

Old style with doors outside to parking (which we like) but not as nice as we like. A little old and in need of more renovation. We found little red ants around the sink in the bathroom (lots of rain in the last month). The breakfast room worker could not keep up with the coffee remands. Nothing TERRIBLE in this hotel, but just not quite up to snuff.

    4
    « No complaints. »

Was clean, all supplies, soap, lotion, towels, ironing board, coffee and maker. AC worked well for the heat we needed. Staff was courteous and friendly. Not the Ritz, of course, but excellent location, walking distance to 2 huge outlet malls. Great diner nearby so we didn't try the breakfast but I asked and it was a hot breakfast, not a simple one, so more value there. I would definitely stay there again. About 20 mins from downtown St. Augustine.

    « Best Westerns »

Our primary choice for auto traveling is to stay at Best Westerns. They are always conveniently located to the interstates and places of interest, clean, continental or hot breakfasts provided and always pleasant staff.

    « bad »

The heat did not work, the blinds were broke ], the lights were broke, the bathroom was not clean, the first day cleaning was not provided, the fridge was not clean, the apt needed a make over, the kitchen was not clean, over all, it is not a place I would recommend.

    5

« Ideal Location ir Passing By »

I booked the room the previous day in Atlanta driving south to Miami. Conveniently located off I95 but within a short drive to marvelous St. Augustine, Fla. The room was clean and confortable with the right ammenities. Desk services courteous and efficient. The hotel was preetty busy and maybe this was the reason that my room was not ready when we arrived at 3:30 P.M. on that saturaday of january. That incident is the reason for not gaining the 4 rating with me.

« One night stay as we passed through St. Augustine, FL »

Very friendly front desk staff. We showed her a discount coupon on check in, but it turned out it was for a different Best Western. However, she said "not to worry, I'll give you the same discount". Our room was very nice, exceptionally clean and we had a good night's sleep. Right next door to hotel was a Denny's. We were pleasantly surprised by the service, quality of food and price. (We rate them a 5) The Best Western had a great hot continental breakfast.

« Comfortable and newly renovated »

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little worried about my reservation - unnecessarily so. This is an older style hotel so the rooms are a little small, but the rooms have been newly renovated and were big enough for our purposes. Our room and that of another couple traveling with us were both very nice with new paint, carpet, bed and granite counter tops. There were plenty of good restaurants in the same area as the hotel and St. Augustine, which is full of every kind of restaurant you can imagine is only 7 miles away. The price on this hotel was about half of those right in St. Augustine. It's very convenient if you're there to visit and it's right next to I-95 if you're just passing through,. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Stayed here Friday thru Sunday with the hubby..was able to check in early Friday am so that was great!! Room was clean and adequate, although we would have preferred a fridge and microwave in room. Breakfast was good too. Only complaint is that the pillows on the bed are pretty flat so we had to get extra. We will def be coming back again!!

My husband and I stay almost exclusively at Best Western hotels, but we will never stay at this location again. It is dumpy and old, it's smells bad, and it is very noisy. We used a coupon that brought our price down to about $60, but I would have preferred a camp ground stay. If we had not been so exhausted with a need to get up very early and no desire to trudge around looking further, we would not have stayed. That mistake won't be made again. Just say no!

« Not Good for Pets »

Carpet reeked of urine. We were told at check-in no possible room changes could be made because we were past 4:30PM and hotel was full. No coffee maker or mini fridge in room and only one ice maker for all units.

« Perfect hotel on the way to The Keys »

This Best Western is perfectly located just off the I-95. The rooms are clean and the bed is very comfortable. Very quiet room to permit us to rest after a long drive. We will stay again on our way back home for sure.

    « Saint Agustine I-95 »

We drove 540 miles to get to this hotel, upon arrival the was a lady waiting for her room to be cleaned, she said she wait more than 3 hours' This hotel needs a lot of improvements. The lobby furniture is very dated, the carpet on the rooms are old and dirty, Room was not smoking and the smoke smell was really bad.

« Stayed at better Best Westerns »

Have stayed at nicer BW properties - convenient to I-95....greeting fair - room clean - bed excellent - NO microwave - NO refrig in room - microwave in lobby was nasty - NO coffee in lobby - computer and printer in lobby worked well - WiFi in room was excellent - 2 floors with exterior entrance - very Pet friendly - no recycling on property - breakfast room too small for size of unit but the breakfast was the usual stuff with little variety but all good - Dennys and Ruby Tuesday within walking distance - room clean - fixtures average

    « Ok for 1 night »

We stayed in the suite above the lobby. It has spacious living and bedroom and 1 bathroom. Thre is a kitchen, but no microwave or ANY utensils. The bathroom does not have a single hook or towel rod to hang the towel. There is a couch, but we were able to request a rolling bed. The couch is too small for tall children. There is a Taco Bell right under the windows. it was very noisy and disturbing at night. We will very unlikely to stay in there again.

    « 2 night stay was good »

The rooms and bathroom were cleaned as we entered. Could have rated 5 star but our rooms were not cleaned on 2nd day till 4pm after which the staff wasn't available to clean the rooms. Overall good stay n good breakfast (waffles were good). I would recommend this hotel.

    3
    « Musty! »

Room was clean, but smelled really musty and couldn't control the A/C, unless you unplugged it. Other than that it was okay. The bed was really hard as usual. Didn't have breakfast, so can't comment about that.

    « average hotel »

we stay over here sometimes on our way to Daytona beach and its your average/normal best western. Rooms have always been clean and recently updated but a little pricy for what your getting. They offer a free continental breakfast but there is a cracker barrel and shoney's next door that we go to. Also next door to the outlet mall which is why we stop here.

    « Don't stay here »

Needs BIG upgrade, Not a comfy cozy place. I would not stay here again. Bugs in light fixtures, broken shades, cobwebs on light fixtures, mold on ceiling. Stayed in so called suite over office. 140 dollars for one night.

    « Miami Lakes »

Very cosy hotel, located near the golf court, excellent staff and impressive garden. You can purchase breakfast if it is not included for accessible prices. Rooms are spacefull with nice view outside the window. The hotel is pet friendly (additional fee required).

« Good Place To Stay »

All of the employees that we had interaction with were extremely polite and helpful - from the check-in and checkout staff, the housekeeping staff and the breakfast staff. The location of the hotel was great. It had a variety of eating places in walking distances and had quick access to the I-95 highway.

« Great location and value for the money »

Perfect to consider for a stop over on a road trip. Easy online reservations, effective and friendly staff, comfortable beds, good quality free wi fi and a complete hot breakfast. Right off I-95 on St. Augustine, I come back to this hotel at least twice a year, and its quality has always proved very consistent.

« Good for the price »

Very friendly front desk. The room is worth for the price. Standard breakfast is included ( they have pancake ). Fitness room is small but meets the need. The room is well cleaned. 10 mins driving from st Augustine historic district. No fridge or microwave in the room.

    « O.K. place to stay »

We have stayed at 4 of the 5 St. Augustine Best Westerns and this is probably the best except for location. None are super but represent competitive value with other motels in the area. The Ruby Tuesday next door was a plus for us.

    « Good Location »

We have been using this hotel for the past eight years when we travel to Florida. It's right off I95, close to the outlets, and close to restaurants. Since we started using this hotel, they have upgraded the property. We actually stayed there one year when they were changing all of the mattresses. We find this place very comfortable and more than adequate. Breakfast in the morning is always good and included in the price. Also, Pet Friendly which is great for those traveling with pets.

    « very good value »

We stayed 2 nights during the St Augustine Night of Lights recently. We were pleasantly surprised at the value we got. The motel must have just done a remodel. The carpets, bed covers, furnishings, bathrooms, etc. all seemed to be very up to date for a older motel. The HAC was very quiet, plenty of parking, very clean and the staff, especially Dora (front desk) was very accommodating with directions and suggestions for the trip into town (6 miles) for the celebration of the lights. The breakfast is waffles, bacon, omelets, yogurt, cereals, fruit, coffee and juices.. It is held in a converted room next to the office and a little crowded but adequate. No complaints from us.. We ate a couple of times at Denny's which is just across the parking lot and it was very good also. It is located next to huge outlet mall. We had a good stay. Great value.

    « Multiple Stays »

Have stayed at this property a half dozen times over the past 2 years. Great location near outlet mall, i95 and the beach. Comfortable value. Remodel complete with a new lobby and new beds. Breakfast always good.

« Hotel met our needs »

Hotel a bit hidden behind restaurants. Check-in person was not the most polite. Every thing about this hotel screamed adequate. Nothing special but not real problems either. Could walk to a few eateries or within short driving distance of many since we are right off the interstate. Good hotel for us as we were tourists in st augustine that day. Checkout was smooth and right back on the road again on nearby I-95. Breakfast was fine.... place was clean.... run of the mill hotel......

« Nice Value, Good location »

My wife and I stayed here two nights on vacation. Close to our destination but right off the interstate so easy to get to. Clean room, friendly staff, not as expensive as other nearby venues. Would stay here again.

« Spent one night while traveling from NY to Florida. »

Older motel just off the highway. Across from the outlet mall. Clean room. Tiny toilet/shower combo. Free full breakfast and newspaper. Price was considerably less that other hotels in area. Good value.

    3
    « Okay »

Not too many of the amenities we have come to expect at a Best Western. Although quite clean the rooms were Spartan with no micro wave or refrigerator, there was no couch or comfortable side chair. Additionally, coffee was not available in the lobby, although they did have a microwave. I would only recommend this Inn based on price and cleanliness, which were both good.

    « Excellent Stay »

I stayed at this hotel for a stop in St. Augustine on my way to florida with my 13 year old daughter. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and nice I believe her name was tanya we checked in on November 10th for one night. Originally we were assigned a room on the second floor but the desk staff move us to the ground floor so we didnt have to carry bags to the second floor. Once cheked in we turned the heat on and it started to smell like smoke and our alarm went off I am guessing this is because heat would not have been needed in florida for a long time. but the desk very quickly changed us to the room next door. She was so pleasant and a delight to deal with after a long day on the road. The room was spacious clean and had comfortable beds. The breakfast in the morning was excellent for a budget motel, with eggs bacon yougart cream cheese begals fresh fruit and pasteries cereal juice coffee and tea and was kept very clean. would stay again excellent value for the money.

« One night in St Augustine »

My husband and I wanted to spend the weekend in St. Augustine for my birthday and we wanted to stay overnight since the trip back to Orlando is about 2 hours. We looked for somewhere relatively close and found this hotel. It was a nice ride about 5-10 minutes right off of 95. It was easy to get back and forth from the hotel to St. Augustine and the price was under $100. We got a king bed and it only had three pillows on it so I asked the woman at the front desk if we could have another and she went out of her way to get us an extra so we each had 2. Great service overall!

    4
    « Comfortable »

Had a good stay at this hotel. Rooms were clean and okay. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise and the front desk staff were helpful. All in all would recommend this hotel for people visiting this Historical city even though it is a little out of the city. Easy on and off I95.

    3
    « Average budget motel »

My wife informed me that we were at a motel, because all access to the rooms is from outdoors and there are only two floors. The accommodations are no better than average for a budget motel. The free breakfast is average as well.

    4
    « clean and comfortable »

Simple, clean, and comfortable, when you are only going to be in the room long enough to shower and sleep. It is close enough to drive to Old Town in a matter of minutes, but is far enough away to get out of the noise of the tourists and heavy traffic. It is in walking distance of Cracker Barrel, Taco Bell, and Dennys if you require food other than breakfast. Breakfast was much better than previous stays.

« A good value for the price »

We stayed one night on the way to Miami. Pluses: We paid $67., including a $10. pet fee using our AAA card. That was a great value. The hotel is right near 95 and is surrounded by restaurants. Our room was recently updated and was VERY CLEAN. The bed was comfortable. Minuses: No complaints. The breakfast was underwhelming, but we did not have higher expectations. Conclusion: We will stay at this hotel again, with our dog, Teddy.

    « Update this hotel »

This hotel needs to be updated. The room smelled of mildew. Carpet was dirty looking. Lobby was lacking any personality, no flowers or signs of life. Shower was warm, no where near hot. TV was an updated, flat screen.

    3
« Central to the area »

Booked this hotel for a baseball tournament as 2 queens, check in was great, very friendly staff. The room was received had two doubles and no fridge. Website stated fridge upon request, well we did request and were told sorry we don't have any. The double beds were okay, bit uncomfortable. The room was clean though. The exercise room power on the equipment was inoperable, but you could use it. a bike, treadmill, elliptical and a very outdated NordicTrack. Did not try the breakfast but heard they had waffle machine and standard stuff. Other than that the grounds were good, room was spacious and everything was fine. Don't think we would stay here again based on the lack of service for what we wanted and what we actually received.

    « Very comfortable »

Comfortable room - in terms of amenities, space, cleanliness. The only thing missing was the microwave and frig - but they stated they will be adding these back. (Supplied an add-in frig and a microwave in lobby). Continental breakfast was served well, adequate, convenient.

    « Just Perfect »

Needed a nice and comfortable place to stay while visiting my daughter who's in college at Flagler in St. Augustine. This hotel was perfect. Good distance, affordable, close to good places to eat. I'll be back for sure!

« nice place to stay »

nice place, easy access to interstate, pet friendly. We would stay again if need be. Chain restaurants are available and close. Friendly staff and grounds are clean. Breakfast was very good with quality food and plenty of it with extended hours.

    « Nice quiet & clean hotel »

Our room was very clean & designed for comfort. Our beds had plenty of pillows (4 apiece!). It even had a desk with an office chair on wheels. Made me feel right at home. We'll definitely be back. Breakfast was ok too. Beautiful well maintained pool area too.

    « Great hidden gem on I-95 :) »

From the outside it appears to be a regular "motel", but on the inside it is great! The bed was super comfortable, was very clean, shower worked well, and the TV was large including Direct TV. Also, the AC worked wonderfully. What was sad is that this room had better working AC and TV than the Disney resort we had spent the previous week at! There is not too much to do right around this hotel, which was fine with us as we were just passing through, but major attractions like the Fountain of Youth was just a few short miles away. I will definitely be back! :)

« Too far away from the beach. »

We didn't know our way around St. Augustine and booked online just before we got to town. It's not a bad drive on into the city and sights. We saw 3 other BW motels closer than we were but probably not at the good price we received. It was within walking distance of several fast food places and a Ruby Tuesday's. The breakfast at this BW was pretty good-loads of carbs and sausage.

    « NOT HAPPY »

I won't ever stay here again the end. Rooms were dirty, bed was uncomfortable, checking in the lady was rude. She acted very snotty and unhelpful as soon as I said I was disabled and needed a bottom floor. I should have said something to her but I was tired and just wanted to get this stay over with.

« Calm during the Storm »

During a recent trip from NY to Marco Island,Fl my sister and I stayed here. Due to bad weather mid-Florida we stayed two nights in a suite with a kitchen, dining area, bedroom, bath with giant jacuzzi,, and living room, 2 tvs. Pet friendly so our cat was welcome. Room was immaculate. Pool and complimentary breakfast were welcome perks, and every staff person was cordial and helpful. Relaxing calm afternoon by the pool and easy access to 95 make this a great spot to stay on a trip south. Will return to see St. Augustine and the many attractions it has to offer. Highly recommend it to all.

« Perfect for my need... »

I was on a trip for business, driving several hours. Arrived in St. Augustine very late. No reservation. Hotel was at the intersection of I-95 and 16 across from some of the outlet shopping malls. Just a few short minutes drive from the center of St. Augustine. Checked in quickly and with no issues. Room was clean, properly appointed, no maintenance issues. Showered and went to sleep. Slept alright for 4 or 5 hours. Awoke in AM, breakfast bar had coffee, juices, bagels, toast, cereal, waffles, eggs, bacon and condiments... Very nice breakfast. They even had a small fitness center. Checked out at 11AM, quick, easy, no issues, staff I interacted with were pleasant. Room was a double queen, with a desk, coffee maker, TV... watched a little local news etc... all in all. A good stop. I would stay here again. The price was only $67.00, a very good value for the area.

« Nice room for a quick pitstop »

I remembered staying here a year or so ago and wondered what was going. But now the renovation was done and it was very nice. Nothing spectacular but it was updated, clean and a restful night sleep. What more do you need??

    « Don't rent the suite! »

Checked in and was handed a key with a worn out key tag. That was my first clue something was up. We found the one bedroom suite in terrible condition. It stunk of cleaning products. The dining room table looked like it had been drug in off the street. The refrigerator door was filthy with black mold growing on the gasket, dents and more. While the bed actually looked clean and well made up, the old dresser had a broken lamp, so did one in the living room. The furnishings are very old. I don't even think we could have slept with one eye open! To the management: spend a few bucks, get proper lighting (you need a light in the shower!), purchase some nice décor, patch the holes in the walls and on the bathroom door, get a welcome mat and maybe you could rent this place for $169/night otherwise, no way. Fortunately we found another room (not easy to do as it was the city's 450th birthday weekend) for only $20/night more. Note: we were not charged due to Best Western's 100% quality satisfaction guarantee which is the only reason I'm giving the service 2 stars. There is no lobby and I never saw where they served coffee.

« Good choice in St Augustine »

Great location between JAX airport and St Augustine bearch. Right off I-95. Good service and reasonably priced. Plus, free breakfast. Plus, we had a smoking rom for my wife..which is very, very rare these days.
