    « Good stay! »

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights over Thanksgiving when we were visiting relatives. By booking this hotel a long time in advance and using the AARP discount, I got a good rate. Checking back later the rate had gone up a lot. The room was large, with two queen beds, an easy chair with a footstool, a desk and chair, a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge and a microwave. There was a combination shower-tub. The beds were comfortable and there was good wifi service. There was a good breakfast?both hot and cold items. We asked for a quiet room and were placed on the second floor at the rear of the building. No problems or complaints at all.

I try to stay exclusively at Best Western when I travel. Loved, loved, loved this one. Modern, CLEAN and quiet and a block from ocean. No cleaning crew early in morning. It was like walking into a first class cabin on a ship. Everyone and everything about this hotel was first class.

« Sightseeing trip to St Augustine »

Great beach location. Staff was friendly and check in very easy. Room was decorated professionally and very comfortable. Entire stay was great! Breakfast was not very good however, but not horrible. Otherwise, would definitely stay again and enjoyed ourselves in St Augustine immensely!

« Beautiful renovations, felt like a new hotel »

My recent stay at this hotel was flawless! I was first impressed by the desk manager, Jesse. He was so friendly and helpful by offering information about the area to help us get the most out of our short stay in St. Augustine. We were all impressed by the room. The new renovations are so fresh and modern! The bathroom especially was clean and perfect. The breakfast was very good. The fruits were fresh, bacon & eggs looked good too. I made myself a waffle dark & crispy. It was great! I want to thank the desk staff for helping me with a problem I had. I left two of my shirts hanging in the clothes rack. When I realized it after I got home, they offered to mail it to me! I appreciate this so much. I enjoyed my visit to St. Augustine & plan to return for a longer visit. When I do, I will stay at this Best Western without a doubt.

    « Great hotel »

Great hotel! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and updated ,breakfast was very well stocked.Price was excellent for how nice the room was. Will stay again when we return to area. Short walk to beach and resturants.

« Ok Hotel Good Value »

The Staff were amazing, They went out of there way to make sure we had everything we needed. I used there dryer to dry my clothes and it blew a fuse and they dried my clothes for free, they gave me a printed copy of direction to Orlando airport, The night manager gave us a wake up call & brought us up fresh coffee and carried our luggage to our car for us. The stay was very nice, the rooms are nothing special and didn't come with a Bible, But the Great service maid up for everything else. You also can walk across the street to the Beach

    « nice property »

This BW has a friendly staff, the place is very well maintained and has a very attractive appearance both outdoors and indoors. They serve a nice breakfast and the people taking care of the food kept the place orderly and clean. I definitely recommend this facility.

    « Great value! »

Having just spent time in a dreadful inn down in Vero beach, this motel was a most pleasant surprise. Totally renovated room, free parking at your door, excellent breakfast and a really low price, what is not to like. Would highly recommend this spot, of all the places we stated in the USA, this was by far the best value.

    3
« Fine place near the beach »

The rooms have obviously recently been remodeled and are quite nice. But there was an ocean smell that was relieved by fragrance spray. I wouldn't let this put you off. The price of the room was more than reasonable, just pack some spray. I would have ranked this hotel with 4 stars but there was a hot water issue. I reported it to the front desk but I went a day and a half with lukewarm water. Nice breakfast area. Nice pool area.

« Best Staff, Great Room and Close to the Beach »

Our family of four stayed 2 nights. The staff could not have been more friendly, helpful and pleasant to interact with. The rooms were as nice as the resort we stayed in at Universal and incredibly clean. Would absolutely recommend to family and friends!

« Clean, Comfortable, and Close To The Beach »

My wife and I booked three nights and were very pleased with our accomodations. Breakfast is included. We had a room with two queen beds. The room was either new or recently renovated. We had a very nice spacious bathroom. There were enough plugs for our phones, laptop, iPad, etc. There is a pool and hot tub. A road to the beach is diagonally across the street. It is about a 5 minute walk. There are several restaurants that are not far by car. We would go back again, if we were in St.Augustine Beach. Parking is a little tight.

    4
« Modern room and great breakfast »

Stayed one Saturday night. Great customer service in Lobby and room had a modern and attractive remodel. Easy 1/2 block walk to beach. Great breakfast and would stay again. Parking is tight due to a small footprint but beach property is like that.

    4
    « Newly renovated »

I've stayed here over the years just to get away and be at the beach. This trip I was totally surprised that the rooms and hotel have gone thru great upgrades. Rooms are very modern, tile floors thru-out, beautifully decorated. Pool is open til 10 at night, including hot tub. Continental breakfast great to get your day started. Just a short walk across the street, with access to the beach. Not far from the pier area. Will continue to make this my getaway!

« Beautiful rooms, friendly staff »

Spirit of the moment get away, had stayed here before, rooms have totally been remodeled. Comfortable, modern, clean ....just a wonderful place to stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Even offered several recommendations for dining.

    « Family Beach Trip »

Planned a weekend trip to the beach with my brother and his family. The hotel let us check in a little early and we changed into our beach clothes and walked one block to the beach. Hotel staff were very nice, the hotel was pretty clean and the rooms were just alright. Free breakfast the next morning was in a tight space and the food was average. It is within walking distance of some restaurants and bars.

    5
« Awesome hotel -close to beach »

the hotel is updated with great style- the staff is wonderful- the 1 bedroom suite is fabulous! The breakfast was very good! It was right across the street from beach - 2 minute walk! Kristina and Jesse are awesome! I had family come from Mass and KY and they all loved it!

« Photos differ from experience »

Room was very humid, enough that the A/C couldn't get the humidity out, semi disappointed at that. Breakfast we were greeted with friendly staff but almost like vultures in a small area with only minimal food out. We opted for milk and cereal and ate in our room. TV was outdated and the channels didn't come in great. The decent part is the distance to the beach and the price compared to other hotels in the area. We were able to stay for a couple days and let our son visit the beach. We wouldn't return if we had a chance, we would pick another place to stay.

    5
« Great Romantic Place for Our Honeymoon »

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had booked a king room but were upgraded to a suite. Both of us were blown away by its size. The decor was beautiful. The staff was warm, friendly and helpful. It was very clean and I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. We will stay there again in the future.

    « Help during Matthew »

Hotel clean, safe, good internet, good breakfast. Across the street from the beach, hotel was as described. Matthew caused us to have to leave early, hotel staff told us when we needed to leave, make reservations to ensure a room in FL.

    « Great get away.... »

I will come back to the Best western Seaside Inn and suites.. It was clean, up graded, bathroom very clean and pretty. Pool area clean. The grounds were clean and well kept. The front staff friendly and helpful.

    « Modern Hotel »

Booked for 1 night on a Sunday as we could not get in on the Saturday...stayed in a hotel down the road and could not wait to leave. Upon entering the Best Western we fell in love with it. Very clean, modern and beautifully decorated. Lovely room, bathroom and pool and the staff were very accommodating. A few mins walk to the lovely beach. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return if i was to come back to St.Augustines.

« GREAT hotel and staff »

They say the third time's the charm and when looking for a place to stay here that was exactly the way it was. After nothing but problems from the Super 8 hotel down the street, and then being told that even if I pay cash, they'd charge my credit card anyway at the Courtyard by Marriott, I ventured a little further to the Best Western Seaside. Melissa at the front desk has to be one of the best I've dealt with at any hotel. She was courteous and very professional. She checked me in with no problems, adjusted my room rate for AARP, and her caring attitude was the best as she heard I had just put my mother in a Hospice care facility. She offered NO hassle regarding my service dog, and I was put in a spotless and nice size king room. After a restful night sleep, the breakfast offered was just fine. Cheese omelets, cereals, breakfast meats, waffles and more. I had planned on leaving town after being with my mother, however circumstances had me returning once again to the Best Western. Melissa was there again to take my call asking for another night's stay, and had everything ready when I got back to the hotel. It was another nice, restful night, and very quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to be treated correctly, with respect and by professional staff. The morning front desk clerk was the same. Thank you to all of the staff for making a tough return home situation a little easier by providing some of the best service I've dealt with in my travels.

    « Pretty good »

Nice hotel, very modern good breakfast and nice pool. Was almost a 1 mile walk to the ocean unfortunately. Not to bad but not ocean front. Nice hotel for a good price. Staff was a little rude but tolerable.

    4
    « Great Location »

The hotel is across the street from the beach access which was not crowded. The stop for the local tour shuttle is in front of the hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of several local restaurants. The breakfast was great. Staff was helpful. The rooms had just been remodeled when we were there. Lots of parking. Safe location.

    5
« A really nice place to stay! »

Hotel was right across the Rd from the beach. It had a Modern Beach flare. Pier is really close and nice outdoor area for Volleyball. The Pool and hot tub made you feel secluded(Nice). Free Breakfast was the BEST we have had at any BW. Loved the towel art. Loved our stay

    5
    « PLEASED »

The room was very clean the staff very professional. close to the shops and beach. the pool was nice . the outside was well maintained. close to the attractions in the area . well worth the stay. also family friendly . would and will stay here in the future.

    « Tropical Storms »

We were fortunate the tropical storm was not bad. Our stay was excellent, the breakfast was great, and the staff was terrific. It's a very short walk to the beautiful beach. I didn't give the hotel a five star because the cigarette receptacle was in front of our room and it smelled.

    5
« SPRING Break with friends »

This hotel was freshly re-modeled..the manager name was debbie and she was super friendly and helpful..the water went out for a couple hours..but she made sure we were kept informed and gave us bottle water..the jakuzzee was broken but after we told the Manager and within an hour some came out to fix it..the breakfast was great..bacon and eggs with lots of fresh choices of fruits and pancakes machine ..we loved our stay. It was across the street from the beach and we enjoyed the beach ..it was convent to hang out at beach..loved the hospitality and was close to lots of restraunts...the room had new beds and our bed broke..the manager came right away and fixed the bed..née dressers and beds..freshly painted room..it was nice room

    3
    « Pretty Atmosphere »

Overall it was a nice stay. The hot tub had too many chemicals in it and bleached my suit. Also, the hot water took a while to come on. The atmosphere was beautiful and the location was perfect. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

    2
    « Needs serious cleaning. »

The beds and breakfast were fine, but this hotel is not clean. Bathroom, grout, crack and crevices, toilet area tile where all dirty. Hotel also feels old and muggy. I like Hamton Inn, so didn't like having to report badly about them.....

« Best Hotel Experience Ever »

We do a fair amount of traveling, and this hotel, is by far, the best experience we have ever had. The staff, in particular Melissa, was exceptional. Every single staff member sincerely greets you with a smile and willingness to go out of their way to assist your needs. We loved everything about this hotel.. location, rooms, breakfast, and pool (which we used a lot with our 12 person group). We would certainly recommend this hotel!

    4
    « Nice place »

This was our first visit to this property. We arrived on a Saturday and it was fully booked which made parking difficult. But the rest of the week was fine. The rooms are light in aqua and gray with laminate flooring. Much more pleasant than the dark decor of some places. The rooms are average size equipped with a large bathroom and also a fridge and microwave. The beds were very comfortable. Their breakfast was good with a lot to choose from including hot eggs, sausage and a waffle maker in addition to the normal muffins, cereal, fruit and so forth. It was located on a corner and was only a block away from the beach. It has a small pool. All the staff were great. This is a good choice for a beach trip.

    « I recommend this hôtel »

We stayed two nights in this hôtel, choosen by our travel agency. We were in thé beautifull and spacy parental suite. The confort was very good. Employees are great and the hôtel is nice and clean. We have been able to wash our clothes. They also propose à nice breakfast. I recommend this hôtel and hope to come back in a futur trip.

    5
    « Clean rooms »

Really impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. Every day the rooms where spotless with plenty of clean towels and sheets. I really likes the location, it was close to some great restaurants and a short walk to the beach. The staff was very accommodating to all of our needs. The breakfast was above expectations also. Bacon eggs and bagels.

    5
    « Extremely accommodating! »

This hotel provided wonderful service to our family. We traveled with 12 people (3 families.) Each family was very pleased with the front desk staff, breakfast staff and housekeeping, as they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. -Nice breakfast -Short walk to the beach -Pool hours 9:00-10:00 -Quiet hotel We look forward to a return stay!

    4
« Happy in St Augustine »

The hotel's proximity to beach and old St Augustine was a definite positive feature. That combined with the outstanding decor and comfort of the room were the recipe for a pleasant stay. I would instantly recommend this Best Western property to others.

    4
    « San Augustine Vacations »

I recommend Best Western, affordable price, sea side location, excellent! Breakfast. The personnel was always there to help and whole facility was good. The rooms are not too big, but they comfortable and clean.

    3
    « Don't accept a road-front room! »

This compact hotel is fine - the rooms are clean & modern, the staff are friendly, and the location is good for the beach, though it's smaller than the pictures suggest. BUT the pool is tiny and overlooks the road (so it's noisy and not very relaxing) and the 8-10 rooms at the front suffer badly from road noise and an array of noisy a/c outlets outside. The rooms further back are probably much better, particularly on the upper floor.

    4
    « A good value »

Many good points, well done breakfast with sufficient seating, clean rooms with friendly staff, reasonable beach access (cross A1A then about 1/10 mile). Very good location to downtown historic area, about 5 miles. I would have given an excellent rating but for some glaring problems If you have an aversion to cigarette smoke then be aware that it is allowed at the pool area which is small in size, so you cannot avoid it. Also I found the tv service provided by Direct Tv satellite to be confusing with limited channel selection. Most confusing is where they put the wardrobe for hanging clothes, in the bathroom with no door to shield the clothes from the moisture. When we took our showers our hanging clothing would be damp afterward.

    4
    « Can't beat Best Western »

We always stay at Best Western when we travel. In fact, we have stayed at this hotel at least 4 times. It is a block from the ocean and a great place to a family to stay. We love St. Augustine and invited two family members to join us on this trip as they had never visited the town before. They absolutely loved it and plan to return again as well.

  • 5
    « Great stay! »

Room was so nicely put together. If you have a child, they fold towels into a dog. Thought that was so cute. Very clean. Staff was great. They got us in a room even though we arrived before check In. They went out of there way to check with house keeping to get us in our room. Fridge was perfect size. Breakfast bar was great! Pool and hot tub. Short walk from the beach.

    4
    « Excellent for the $ »

Stayed with our 22 year old daughter for 5 nights. It appears the rooms had been updated recently & were fairly spacious with 2 beds, a chair & ottoman, a frig & microwave. Staff was friendly & helpful. A few problems with wifi. Breakfast was more than continental & included fresh fruit. Housekeeping did an excellent job cleaning our room daily & re-stocking towels, etc. Washer & dryer on premises came in handy. Just take detergent & about $4 in quarters for a load to wash & dry. Location is just across the street from the beach & within 10 minutes of the Pier & some decent restaurants. Less than 15 minutes to historic downtown, lighthouse & state park, as well as other attractions. Didn't get a 5 star because of wifi issues, a/c couldn't keep up during the day with keeping the room cool (however, it was in 90s with indexes over 100), & if you can't do stairs, better specify you need ground floor, as no elevator. Imagine that might be a problem for some. Would help if they put towel racks in the bathroom to hang larger bath towels on for drying. Also, I thought the pocket bathroom door was awesome until the first night when someone is in the bathroom & has lights on. Basically, lights up the entire room because it's only frosted, so you can't see in the bathroom but it definitely is like turning on a light in the room!

    4
« Beautiful hotel across from beach. Enjoyed our stay. »

Beautiful hotel across from beach, located just down from the pier where they were having an open-air concert one night. As others stated, parking is extremely tight in back so park up front if possible. Room was immaculate and decorated differently than other hotels which was kinda nice. Reading lamps over beds. No carpeting. Pool was wonderful.

    5
« Great location, Great service! Absolutely unbeatable! »

My wife and I took 2 granddaughters to St. Augustine for a long weekend. It was our granddaughters first trip to Florida, to the Beach and to stay in a hotel. We were thrilled with the location and the accommodations. Spacious, clean rooms. Well appointed. Terrific pool area. Outstanding service. Unbeatable breakfast. We will definitely come back and will recommend to others!

    4
    « Great stay »

Great hotel, close to everything, room clean and modern, comfortable beds, service was outstanding. Only complaint was the fridge wasn't working well. Pool was very clean and plenty of comfortable chairs for everyone. Parking was tight after a long night.

    4
    « Great Location »

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Very easy walk to the beach and local restaurants. No carpeting in the rooms, a good idea because of the sand from the beach. The breakfast was well stocked. The typical waffles, but also had eggs & a meat. I would stay again.

    5
« Best Place to relax »

This facility has most caring team always go above and beyond to satisfy you. The breakfast is a treat. It has a clean swimming pool and fresh coffee always avalable. Literally a block away from the beach

    5
    « Delightful summer trip! »

My husband and I finished a few days at this hotel in St. Augustine Beach. What a little gem on the best beach! Across the street from the beach. The rooms are renovated in a contemporary style. Super clean and comfortable. It's really a cute Spanish style hotel. Walking distance to a number of shops and restaurants. Great pool! Looks better on the outside than the fancy place across the street!

    4
    « Awesome Value & Fresh Look »

This particular BW is on it's way to being a BW+ with a fresh look and newly redesigned rooms. The location is older so you have all the problems that come with older buildings but the maintenance/contractors seem to be in the progress of getting the work done. Carpet has been replaced with LVT flooring which is great because you know you are going to be tracking in sand after the two minute walk from the beach across Beach Blvd. All linens are fresh and white with gray/whitewash colored furniture in clean lines and styling (think Ikea), accent pops of lime green, turquoise, and orange kept to the Florida feel with beachy art prints. The bathroom was larger than we expected and updated with granite counter tops and fresh fixtures. The water pressure was decent coming from a rain style shower head and we never ran out of hot water. We chose this location for a last minute beach trip and stayed 4 to a room (Husband, me, 2 teen girls) with 2 queen beds and were very comfortable after a long day out at the beach or downtown. The a/c is cold and the rooms are fresh and clean. The continental breakfast is a misnomer because there is definitely a better selection than bread and jams. Our morning breakfast choices were: egg omelet with cheese, sausage, bacon, juice, coffee, breads, cereal (hot & cold), milk/almond milk, muffins & danish, fresh fruit, yogurt, and my person favorite....waffles with a myriad of toppings. You may as well just get up and eat at the hotel because you are certainly getting a good breakfast here. After a day on the beach, you can head to the pool which is on the smaller side but wasn't crowded when we went so it was fine. Within walking distance is a great (legit) coffee house where you can get pour-overs or iced coffee at Kookaburra's and they also do savory pies which are great for lunch. Also within walking/skating distance is Opi's for burgers and the Taco Shop which has an amazing invention called the UFO, which is like a crunch wrap on steroids. Rent your surf boards from the Pit right across the street after you fill up on nachos and hit the waves. If you have a 4wheel drive, you can throw your boards in the back of your vehicle and pay $6 bucks to drive on the beach and drop your crew off. If you want to visit downtown, don't bother driving and trying to find parking, just head out to the bus stop in front of the hotel and catch the beach bus to the trolley and spend the day exploring...when you are finished, you get dropped off in front of the hotel for the evening. This Best Western is a great location and has an awesome staff but if you want to know what's what....ask Jesse, he even answered my question of "I wonder what property taxes are around here?" So, why not give it an "Excellent" instead of just "Very Good"? Simply this, they aren't finished with all of their improvements yet and they are still a work in progress. Kudos for being almost there. If you want a quick walk to the beach but don't mind if you can see the ocean from your room, this is an awesome value.

    5
« NICEST HOTEL IN ST AUGUSTINE »

This hotel is super nice and convenient to the beach. The beach is just a short walk across the street but this part of the beat is so beautiful with the sand dunes and no traffic on the beach. The beds are amazing very comfy and clean. The breakfast is yummy and the staff is super nice and helpful. The rooms are very clean and updated. Will definitely stay here again.

    « Great stay! »

We recently stayed here for two nights and the visit was great. I took my two kids (age 6 and 4) and we had a good time. The walk to the beach wasn't too bad. Room was very clean (only thing was the sliding door to the bathroom was broke) and the door to the room was giving us some problems but after we checked out they started work in there so I think that problem will be fixed. The pool are hot tub were ok, the pool was a little hot but that is to expected when the days are into the high 90's. Breakfast was good. The guy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again in the future.

    3
    « Good price »

I have no complaints. The hotel staff were very friendly. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Yes, parking was tight and crowded. There isn't an elevator to the second floors, just stairs so if you don't want to lug your belongings up and down the stairs; you'll want to make sure to request a downstairs room. I think the hotel is in a great location and good price.

    5
    « Surprisingly really nice!!! »

Once we arrived the staff was really welcoming and offered tons of recommendations for restaurants and attractions! We stayed two nights and the service was great! The rooms were very nice and clean and had a hose outside to wash the sand off before entering! The beach is a block away and is located half a mile from sunset grille and mango mangos! The parking is kind of bad throughout the day and night but other than that it was a great experience! I would stay here again if I come back to St. Augustine Beach!

    4
    « Beach fun »

Was a very nice stay. The pool was clean, staff friendly, and breakfast was small but all that was needed.Convenient to evetything, the pier is right across the street short ride to downtown. Please keep our beaches clean

    5
    « Love! »

Awesome location! The beach is across the street, and it is beautiful! The hotel is newly remodeled and clean. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows. The staff is friendly, and the breakfast is great! I would stay here again!

    4
« Great place to stay »

Recently stayed at this best western. The staff was terrific and were able to provide us two rooms we needed adjoining. I am surprised this is not a best western plus. The rooms were fully upgraded, tastefully done, the beds were terrific. We loved everything about this place and would stay again in a heartbeat. The breakfast room was crowded and small, but the attendant did an excellent job providing hot food refills as needed.

    4
    « Very impressive! »

I normally don't leave reviews online, but I have got to give it up for the crew you've got at this hotel! Sure. There were some issues with the pool, but Jesse, at the front desk, was especially helpful and informative! He helped us find a great coffee place, which literally saved our day! He really made my friends and I feel welcome and he more than made up for any inconveniences we encountered. Can't wait to get back down to Saint Augustine!

    5
« Best value of the whole trip! »

One block from the beach; the pool was immaculate, the room was spotless and renovated and quiet. The breakfast area was squeaky clean and the warm foods were warm and fresh. Beds were comfortable, pillows were soft and room was very clean.

« Not Beachfront, But Nice »

Nice newer hotel with nice pool and clean rooms. Within walking distance of the beach and some restaurants, but certainly not beachfront and no view of the beach. The staff was very nice and friendly.

« Newly renovated and comfy »

We came during 4th of July weekend for a little get away and were very pleased with the newly renovated room. It was very luxurious and comfortable. I wish I could say the same for the pool. Sadly the pool was lackluster with a hot tub that smelled of rotten eggs. Also while we were down by the pool we were bombarded by mosquitos. I live in Florida and realize mosquitos are awful but normally resorts and hotels spray for bugs in order to prevent them for feeding on guests. The parking situation was awful as well. Very tight and not enough spots. I would recommend coming on a non holiday weekend, perhaps parking would be better. The breakfast was good and consisted of bagels, English muffins, eggs, sausage, Danishes, muffins, waffles, cereal, yogurt and juice. But a lady insisted on hogging the waffle maker and when another guest complained about this, they did nothing while she continued to make 12 waffles for her entire family. Beach was a quick 3-5 minute walk across A1A.

Very nice decor. Pool was clean and inviting. Many extra touches to make you more comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. Good breakfast included. Parking was a little challenge as it seemed spaces were limited.

« updated hotel, very close to the beach and a big breakfest »

This Best Western hotel was completely updated and looks better then most hotels on A1 Beach rd. The hotel rooms were updated and modern with WIFI. The breakfast was cheese omelettes, bacon, ham, rolls, bread, cereal, waffles ect. I did not expect a breakfast like this at a Best Western. This hotel is across the street from the beach but it is an easy walk. I have 4 kids and going to the beach we carry a lot of stuff so 1st day i drove across the street and dropped everyone off and then waked over. when it was time to leave we packed everything up and walked back to the hotel, it was easier to walk then to drive and unpack. the road A1 Beaches is a slow driving road and cars stop for pedestrians. After the 1st day we walked daily to the beach from the hotel and it was just as if the hotel was on the beach side, distance is small. This hotel is just as good as the more costly hotels on the beach side so save your money.

« Not up to reviews. »

Booked here after reading Trip Advisor. This recently renovated Best Western was far from the best. When we checked in on Saturday front desk person warned us the breakfast area the morning would be packed and to expect lines. Not enough seating in dining area and very cramped serving area. Had to wait for refills on food all week long. Only 1 waffle maker and not much variety. Our first floor room had a broken fridge to start. The room had just finished being remodeled. It was cold and sterile. Grey pergo flooring and grey Formica headboards. Furniture is all Formica. Bed frame is a silver vinyl. Water pressure in shower is terrible. Bathroom ceiling was leaking final night. Front desk gave us towels to put on floor. The pool was dirty. Looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a few days. One positive the air conditioning worked great. Wouldn't stay here again.

« Family Trip to St. Augustine Beach »

The location of the hotel was perfect...just a short walk to the beach. The hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are newly remodeled but more attention to cleaning is needed. Breakfast was decent and there was something for everyone. Parking is a nightmare! There is only one way in and one way out. If you're room is located on the pool side, good luck trying to get out if the parking lot is full...terrible! Another deterrent was the designated smoking areas...there aren't any! People walked around with their cigarettes everywhere including the pool area. It's very frustrating and disrespectful to nonsmokers.

« I had an Amazing stay at the BW!!! »

Me and my husband traveled up to St Augustine for a weekend getaway and we booked the Best Western beach side. The rooms were clean, the towels were bright and white, the bed was the most comfortable and we truly appreciated the refrigerator in the room. Complimentary breakfast was fantastic! The property was well maintained and clean. Parking was tight but it wasn't an issue. The hotel was quiet during the night, no disturbance while you sleep. I would definitely return to the BW when I travel back to St. Augustine.

« Impessive..! For the price...... »

The Hotel is 1 block from the beach & restaurants.... We were in a first floor room recently renovated... Room was very clean and fresh smelling. Hotel employees were friendly and very helpful, thanks Jody for the recommendations to local restaurants and attractions. Rooms were priced $50 and more, less than other hotels.

The hotel is clean and the grounds were kept up very nicely. Also the staff were all very professional and helpful. The location was across A1A from the beach but very close. The breakfast was so so, The hotel is only a few minutes to the historic district of St Auigustine.

« Very clean updated and good value, beach across the street easy access. »

We were looking for a low cost night to spend at the beach and visit Historic San Augustine 10 minutes away. Best Western has 3 categories they use to rate their chain, and this one should be rated Plus or maybe even Premier, but isnt. Jesse the Manager was very knowledgeable about where to go in historic area, and very pleasant. Recently updated (nicely) very clean, and great location. Parking a little tight, look for one of spaces at west end of the property. I Recommend highly this hotel.

    « Sisters weekend »

Jesse was a very helpful , friendly front desk person. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Beach is across the street . It a very quite area but close to downtown. You can also use the trolley instead of driving . Will stay again

« Had a few bumps but all addressed »

Recently renovated but a storm had knocked out some electrical functions that were still being identified - like no phone. Previous occupants stuffed plastic down the tub so it wouldn't drain and hotel handled. Hot tub wasn't hot and bubbly night one but was corrected the next night - which shows there is a very responsive staff! Décor in the rooms nice and modern. Across the street from the beach. We chose to take a cab to/from the old city and it worked well for our short visit. Nice area to stay to be in between the city and the beach!

« Excellent Hotel with amazingly friendly staff »

This hotel is among this best I've visited. The gentleman that assisted us: Jess McCaleb was great. He made the entire experience so much more. His knowledge of the city helped us to plan our visits to the attractions in the city as well as know the best places dine. We certainly applaud your staff (especially Jesse) and look forward to another visit in the very near future.

    « Excellent hotel & exceptionally helpful/friendly staff »

This hotel was recently remodeled and was in perfect shape. The hotel is located close to the beach but not on a busy hwy so there was no traffic noise. The hotel staff is very friendly and very helpful. For example, on my departure Jesse at the front desk arranged my next hotel stay in Atlanta Georgia at the best rate and closest to my destination. My room was kept exceptionally clean. The breakfast area is a bit small, but a light breakfast can be made. My trip to St Augustine historic downtown was so much fun and this motel was a perfect place to stay.

    « Great Beach Stay »

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was a few minutes walk to the beach, which we were able to visit almost every day we were staying there. There is a free continental breakfast with a great employee working named Travis. He kept us smiling, each day! The beds and pillows were comfy. The bathroom was nice. Shower had great water pressure. Liked the fact the floors were not rugs, especially after a day at the beach where it was impossible to remove all the sand. However because of that we wished there was a stand by broom or mop or vacuum to remove the sand we dragged in to the room. The pool was nice and the hot tub was the right temperature, however it could use more powerful jets. Also we weren't impressed with the hot tub being unavailable/closed for a day. And the following days it smelled off like rotten eggs or sulfur like. Also, the pool closed at 10pm each night. It would be better if was open until midnight or at least 11pm. You don't hear the people next door to you but you most defiantly can hear people outside. The air conditioner could have had more power and was a little difficult to change the temperature to a lower setting. It looks like hotel has been recently updated or repaired, especially with workers out every morning painting. The rooms look really nice. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again or recommend.

« Great weekend with grand kids »

Location great across street from beach. The Trolley has a pick up at steps away from the hotel. Pool area clean. Presently renovating, but never interfered with our stay......Within 15 minute drive to lighthouse, Old Town, and other attractions. Definitely will return.

« Not worth the money »

Checked in and got to room after lugging bags up two flights of stairs. Found toilet lid up and urine/toilet paper in it. Room decor was nice but that was it. Toilet slow and had to call front desk for plunger after first use-minimal paper used. Floors were laminate. After showering the next morning and walking on it my feet were filthy. And the parking is horrendous. Named Seaside Inn but it's across the street from the ocean and you can't see any ocean. Not worth the price!

    5
    « What a wonderful staff! »

What a wonderful stay we had at the Best Western Seaside Inn. The Inn was immaculate, room was large, the hot breakfast very complete and the St. Augustine Beach, only a short walk away, is so beautiful as anyone who has been here knows. What I really want to emphasize is the wonderful staff of the Seaside Inn from Laura, my initial phone contact to Melissa who was a tremendous help in getting me registered for membership rewards to a young man, Jesse, who bent over backwards to return some critical items I left in my room in time for me to take them on my next trip. How proud the Seaside Inn must be of this enthusiastic, polite and helpful young man. Thank you all for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back!!

« Pleasant Place to Stay »

Overall satisfied with hotel. Staff were pleasant and helpful!! Good place to stay for a few days when accompanied. We stay 7 days but found not enough closet space for us as a couple for that many days. Otherwise, good hotel and a good location. Also, the pool was great.

« Saint Augustine Beach has some very expensive hotels, but this one is very good and reasonably priced. »

When you're in Saint Augustine Beach, you're in a resort town on a beautiful beach several miles south of the city of Saint Augustine. Some of the more expensive hotels are on the beach side of the street. This hotel is 50 feet across the street and it's easy to get across the street. In beach resort towns like this, (and I think it's Florida state law), if you want to cross the street, the cars have to stop and let you cross. So walk across the street to the public access walkway and you've saved yourself a hundred dollars a night. If you are rich, it's no big deal, but we had wonderful seafood dinners while we were there that were essentially free because we saved money on this hotel room. The room was clean with tile floors because, everyone who stays there probably goes to the beach and brings sand back. I was so glad that this room did not have carpet on the floor as I don't think they could ever get all the sand out, that is probably tracked in. As it is, they keep the floors clean and you know it's clean. The beds were very comfortable as were the pillows. The room had a small refrigerator and a microwave, and that is great since my wife likes her diet cokes cold. The breakfast was good with eggs and cheese, and different cereals. They have a waffle machine which I used along with butter and maple syrup. Front desk staff, particularly Debra Darkes was very helpful in referring us to some excellent seafood restaurants, along with an ice cream shop that is great. Be aware that while we were there, we saw the local police regularly patrolling both ends of the main street in Saint Augustine Beach. They seem to be there to make sure there is no speeding in town as there are hundreds of people constantly walking across the street from one end to the other going to and coming from the beach. So the police are there to protect them. Don't speed as I'm sure they will ticket you to get your attention and keep you from killing some child crossing the street.

    « Clean and comfortable »

Although not oceanfront, the public (non-ADA) access is nearby. The room, lobby and breakfast area was recently renovated. I didn't visit the pool. Plenty of restaurants are within walking distance. Remember, the beach isn't the same as the historic district. I would book again.

    4
    « Great Stay - Too Pricey »

Great place but it just way too pricey in my opinion. Went there for a wedding and got a group discount and it was still more than I felt was reasonable. Breakfast was great. Only thing I didn't like is there were small bugs in the bathroom (mosquitoes, flies)

    4
    « Delightful Find on a Budget »

Only a block from the beach, I was overjoyed with the budget price for our clean and well-appointed room. The pool was lovely and the service was impeccable! The free breakfast had a very large assortment of hot and cold items. I was also very happy getting to know the other guests. This is a great family value!

« good value for beach »

A clean, newly remodeled room. Microwave, fridge, wifi, comfy bed and free parking and free breakfast. It is across the street and one block from the beach. It is a very easy walk. I would recommend a second floor room (top floor) just to avoid any overhead noise. ( I always request that.) There is no elevator, fyi

« Clean and updated hotel in great location »

This hotel is on the main drag through St. Augustine Beach. It is a short walk from the beach. There is a trail to the beach just across the street. The room was clean and modern. The staff were outstanding. The front desk, breakfast, and housekeeping staff were all very friendly. I highly recommend this as a place to stay in St. Augustine Beach.

    « Reasonably Priced »

This hotel is very reasonably priced. It is conveniently located close to the beach - a huge plus!! The staff was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The pool is small and it does have a hot tub but it was not working well during our stay. We did not try the breakfast that was included. Sad to say, we experienced some rude guest during our stay.

    5
    « Very Helpful Staff »

We stayed for four nights and enjoyed comfortable bed, plenty of parking and convenient location. The staff at reception were extremely helpful & obliging. Advising restaurants and places of interests, even helping to find accommodation in our next town.

    3
« Best Western Seaside St. Augustine Beach,Fl »

Front desk personal, especially Melissa, were outstanding. Maintenance employees were hard working. Did not like a mattress truck blocking part of the parking lot entrance. While this was going on, landscapers influenced closing of the pool on a hot day, and hot tub wasn't working for most of our stay. Pool needs to be upgraded with a heater.

    « really surprised »

When I found out that my secret deal at hotwire is Best Western I was more than worried. Thankfully, the reality was much better than what I could expect. The room was very clean, like a good 4* clean. The girl at the reception - Melissa - was super friendly and extremely professional (once again a good 4* quality). The breakfast was complimentary and for the price I've paid I couldn't ask for more (I usually stay at Hampton Inn and it was pretty much the same quality and choice of food), maybe except a microwave in the breakfast area to heat up milk. So surprisingly my lucky shot was really lucky.

« Great little hotel-- Only thing that would be better brewed coffee »

Last week the weather was great . The staff was very friendly. The hotel has the feel of a family owned hotel. It's a little older but remodeled and kept well. Very clean. It's across the street from the beach, and about a 5 minute walk to the fishing pier. There are several restaurants between the hotel and Pier. Pick one with an outside second floor and you'll enjoy the view. This is a perfect time of year to go.

« overnight in Saint Augustine »

Hotel is nice, parking can be a nightmare especially for a larger SUV or truck espcially on the back side as you cant circle the building, if it is busy you have to back around with little room for error, two blocks to the ocean but plan on a good sand walk once you get to the access, really cool diner within walking distance. If you are top floor plan on carring your bags up the steps NO ELEVATOR

    3
    « Disappointed »

I am a BW loyalty member and was disappointed to be allocated a room at the bottom of the stairwell for our two night stay. I wished I had gone for one of the two BW in St Augustine. The room had been renovated and was clean, but we found it very dark. The pool was very small, with very little room for the loungers (of which there were only 3) and chairs. The situation was good for the beach and there were restaurants close by but we went into St Augustine to eat. The breakfast was the usual standard Best Western.

    « Girls Weekend »

The exterior of the hotel is beautiful and the breakfast is pretty good too- but the rooms still need some work . We had a 2 bedroom suite on the 3rd ( no elevator ) the suite was clean and the kitchen was lovely to have but there was only one bathroom in the whole unit and it had no towel racks or a hooks to hang your towel up. The shower was the smallest I've ever seen and no shelf to put your soap and shampoos . The only mirror in the whole suite was in the bathroom . The toilet was small and stained. In addition to the bathroom door not shutting none of the closet doors shut properly within the unit. We had a lovely time but I don't think we will return.

« Housekeeping was very spotty and renovations in progress »

We checked in 4/15/16. Checked out 4/22/16. Location is not bad but you have to go across a busy street to get the block to the beach. Beach is awesome. Weather was great. One asset is the flooring is hard surface, not nasty carpet. Breakfast was substantial w/cheese omelet, sausage, bacon, cereals, waffle maker, juices/coffee, bagels...you name it. Desk staff, Melissa, very friendly and responsive. Breakfast area is rather small, esp when hotel is fairly full. Parking lot is way too tight. They shoe horn spaces in every nook and cranny. Housekeeping was inadequate. They did not touch our room one day. On two additional days they only made the beds halfway and didn't change the bedding. One day they didn't touch the bathroom. I complained twice then on the third time I asked for compensation. They were very prompt in offering to comp my last night. That was nice but the least they could do. I let the first two times slide but it was clear the housekeeping dept didn't give a rat's ugly backside. I was told when I checked out they were short in housekeeping. If that was the case I shouldn't have been seeing the staff sitting on the curb from time to time checking their cellphones and smoking cigarettes. For avg per night during a month like April of $150/night it should be better. The last full day a contractor goes into the room next door and guts it for renovation. It was so loud we had to vacate off property for peace. I enjoyed the stay in St. Augustine overall but the hotel should have been better for that price. If I'm going to deal with lousy housekeeping and renovations I don't expect to pay $150/night. They did not inform me in advance that renovations were in progress.

« Seaside at St. Auggie »

    « Location, location, location!!!! »

My sister and I stayed here for one night (04/14/16). We used a coupon from the Florida travel coupon book and got a rate of $99.00 + taxes. This rate was good through Thursdays only. The room (#119) was very nice. The room was large with two queen beds. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The room had a flat screen TV, microwave and small refrigerator. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. My review title says it all.....you walk directly across the street to the path that takes you out onto the beautiful beach. You can't get much closer than that unless you spend $200. or more per night at one of the hotels directly on the beach. We did not use the pool but did go and look at it. The pool was very clean and inviting. The lounge chairs looked comfortable. Beautiful palm trees and landscaping in and around the pool area. The pool is tucked away on one side of the hotel for privacy. There is a handicap ramp to get into this area. Breakfast offered many choices. The area was kept clean and organized. The area where you sit and eat could be a little larger. There isn't much the hotel can do about this. There is only so much space that could be used for this area. We enjoyed our stay. I will be going back again. Hopefully soon!

« OK for one night near the beach as I was passing through »

Average Best Western. Selected this based on location and price. Probably a 2.5 star hotel -- actually a motel (each room is accessed by an exterior door). My room's bathroom and furniture were updated which I appreciated but bedding and cleanliness were not top-notch. If you want to walk a block to the beach and don't want to pay too much, this will probably work but realize it's 2.5 stars. Check-in clerk was unexpectedly effective, pleasant, welcoming.

    4
« Great for the money »

Very close to the beautiful beach. Only took a minute to walk across street to beach. Clean large rooms. Loads of choices for breakfast. Close to many restaurants. Price goes up on weekends but still ok compared to other places. Parking a little cramped but that is the case in all of St. Augustine in our opinion. Staff very friendly and efficient.

« Perfect location, great stay, close to the beach!!! »

This hotel has a great location, directly across the street from the beach and in the middle of St. Augustine Beach. Love that there was no carpet in the rooms, felt more clean and fresh! Highly recommend!!!

« Great place for beach fun! »

This hotel has a great location, just across the street from the beach and close to all of the fun of St. Augustine Beach. It seems to be very newly remodeled, the rooms don;t have wall to wall carpet, they have laminate flooring which feels far more sanitary than mystery carpet. Great stay at a great price!

    « Much Needed Vacation »

If you don't mind a short walk to the beach, this location on the St. Augustine Beach Blvd is just right. You are within walking distance of several nice restaurants and also the pier. This property has an older, mature feel about it. There is a nice, small outdoor pool to use. Plus the breakfast was an extra bonus....hot breakfast items, make-your-own waffle or cold cereal, if that is what you prefer. We woke up early every morning, grabbed a cup of coffee, walked to the beach to watch the sun come up and pat the dogs that owners were walking. Then we would head back to our room to wash up for the day and have our breakfast before heading out. A nice place for a vacation.

    « Family Fun »

We stayed 3 nights and the weather was amazing. We were on the 3rd floor and had an ocean view balcony. It was a beautiful view. The kitchenette was nice. They provide dishes, utensils a pot, a pan and even a cutting board. The bed was nice and firm for us. Lots of extra blankets, and pillows. The room was very clean. The pool was chilly and the hot tub was like a luke warm bath. I have one tiny complaint about one of the desk agents but the others positive attitude and helpful manner made up for it. We definitely will be back next year.

    « Good value »

This small motor inn has an attractive curb appeal and updated rooms. They have granite counter tops in the bathroom, laminate floors, and tiled baths. Our room had a fridge and a microwave. The beds are on a metal frame that was noisy. The pool is small and the hot tub is not very hot and is not bubbly. The breakfast area is small and can be very crowded. Homemade waffles are good! Unfortunately, the washer was broken and appeared to have been that way for awhile, The hotel is across the street from the beach and there is no crosswalk.

    « Nice All Around »

We stayed there 3/28-31/16. Had 2 young teens is us. Location was within walking distance to the beach, places to eat, and a couple souvenir shops. We enjoyed the walks as the weather was beautiful. The pool and hot tub were enjoyed by the kids. Breakfast was great and coffee was available all day long. The young man who kept the breakfast stocked was very friendly and helpful (sorry I didn't get his name). The room was nice and clean. Newly remodeled and in great shape. We enjoyed the Old Time Trolley beach bus pick up right outside the hotel. We never had to drive until we left. We definitely enjoyed our stay! Best vacation we have had in a while

    5
    « Great Value »

For being across the street from the beach, this is an awesome value. Breakfast is nice in the morning and the pool is quaint but nice (as is the hot tub). Only a short trip from all of the downtown action, but still close to restaurants and bars on the beach.

    « Glad we stayed. »

The staff is her friendly. The rooms have recently been renovated, which is a plus. Really loved the fact they used a laminate flooring instead of carpet, helps with allergies! If your fan of carpet, don't worry they kept an area rug in between the two beds. The breakfast was pretty good, my kids seemed to have no problem finding something to satisfy them. Unfortunately, the area where you select food and beverage is very small and can be difficult to move around. The young man did a wonderful job keeping up on the quickly dismissing supply of food and beverage. The dining area was ok. My daughter enjoyed the pool and did not complain about the temperature. It is walking distance from the beach. Also the Old Time Trolly has a pickup directly in front of the hotel, so no need to drive downtown St. Augustine unless you decide to stay late, but even with that you can use taxi service. So now on the down side, the hotel was temporarily out of water, due to a water main break down the road (not their fault), management dealt with this well, she informed all pratrons in the dining area and attempted to call all rooms to notify them of situation and if that didn't work they were going to each guest room( glad I showered before bed)! I went to do laundry and it was out of commission, dislike going home with dirty laundry! Next, a house keeper was cutting corners, when I pulled down the sheets someone left their sock behind! I called the front desk, and Jon apologized for it and immediately brought up fresh bedding. The housekeeping manager was also very apologetic about situation and assured me she would check schedule and deal with the problem (begin in management I understand you don't always have control of what an employee does and can't fix something if we don't know about it!) Overall I was satisfied with our stay and will most likely stay their again. Beside the few issues makes good conversation and memories for the kids! The cost was reasonable as well.

« Family spring break vacay »

We wanted something reasonably priced, walking distance to everything, and this was it. Hotel is being renovated, so we were advised to ask for first floor since those rooms are done. We did and they were happy to accommodate. Rooms were clean and modern. Love the laminate floors! (can't stand carpetting in hotels by the beach) Bathroom clean and modern. 5 minute walk to beach, ice cream shops, and the best reataurants you can imagine. Also from the hotel is about a 20 minute beach walk to the pier. Pool was clean, but pool area could use more lounge seating- but no room for more. WE WILL BE BACK, as we loved the location and cleam rooms.

« Great place to stay »

Went for a weekend getaway. Haven't been to St. Augustine in a long time. Nice quiet location, newly renovated. Easy drive to the city, and walk to the beach. The staff was pleasant, especially the young lady who checked me out, and of course the manager who took my reservation. It's nice to see another hands on manager. Keep up the good work.

    « St. Augustine trip »

The Sea-Side Best Western was a nice hotel that was a short walk to the beach. If you like to walk on the beach, it was also a longer walk and you where in the State Park's beach. The Motel is getting ready to replace the beds in the rooms, however we found the beds to still be very good. Prices where high, I guess the time of year, and events going on controls that. Some real good places to eat, really liked the Sun Set Grill.

    « Really great value! »

This was exactly what we needed to have a good visit at the beach of St. Augustine. It is a really nice place. Its nice and quiet, the beds are comfortable, they provide you with everything you need, and the staff was very nice to us when we had a bit of car trouble on our trip. If you want a great place to stay for great price, this is the place to go.

    « Highly recommend »

We just came home from our 7 night stay at the Best Western Seaside Inn location. I would recommend anyone to go here, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms are very clean and have everything you need. I wasn't aware when I booked at the last min. that there was no elevator (only 3 floors), my husband walks with a cane. However, he would have been able to handle the stairs if he had too. Our room happened to be on the ground level which was nice because we could park right in front of our room. We never used the pool but saw that it was clean and well kept. They serve continental breakfast which is standard. I was worried that we couldn't hear the ocean since we were across the street, BUT its less than a 5min walk to the beach across the street literally. Biggest issue we had was the fact that the hotel room door had to be shoulder bumped in order to open it everytime as well as the bathroom door. I would stay here again, the location cant be beat and very reasonable prices as well as the area is very safe.

    « Fabulous General Manager! »

Our reservation was messed up. Booking through the internet is usually easy but not this time. We got there to find our reservation was for the week before and already charged. The GM was awesome and gave us a room for a discounted rate. The room was fabulous and we couldn't have been happier with the hotel or the staff. I will definitely book Best Westerns again.

« great looking hotel and location »

Love this hotel, they were doing construction the time we stayed but it didnt bother us, nice looking rooms. Love the glass bathroom door, talked to the manager, a very nice down to earth lady. close by resturants and bars. They are getting rid of the hot tub, least we got to use it.

« Excellent hotel near the beach »

The staff was friendly and helpful especially Jon at check in. The rooms are clean, spacious, comfortably, and well designed. The free breakfast is superb--hot eggs, sausage, biscuits and waffles, in addition to the usual array of cereals, pastries and beverages. The hotel is a short walk from beautiful, clean St. Augustine Beach.

« Lovely hotel, easy walk to the beach and restaurants. »

My wife and I stayed here in December, 2015 as part of a trip to the southeast USA. We asked for and received a quiet room for our three-night stay. The ocean is a 5-minute walk, and some excellent restaurants are nearby. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the breakfasts were tasty, the room and facilities always clean. Great little hotel with a great location!

    « great time »

This is a nice quiet, peaceful hotel right across the street from the beach. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a courteous, and helpful front desk staff. Our room was very clean and well kept. Would stay here again if we're in the area.

« Would stay here again »

Stayed here 3 nights while vacationing in St. Augustine. The hotel fits well with the Spanish history because it kind has that look of a Spanish villa. Close to the beach, but there's no beach view from the hotel. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms were comfortable. I loved the chair with foot stool, so nice for putting your feet up after a long day. The breakfast area was a little small but workable. Hot breakfast included eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits & gravy, waffles. We were very happy with the hotel except for a couple things. The parking lot is very small, and if you get to the hotel after 8pm, good luck finding a spot. Housekeeping was excellent except for one day where it looked like the maid didn't even 5 minutes in our room. The bed wasn't made, the towels were just thrown on the counter, and I don't think they emptied the garbage that day either.

    « Great location »

We normally stay in another hotel, but it was booked, so we stayed at this Best Western. Honestly, we will be staying here in the future instead of the other place. This Best Western is in the middle of renovation. We had one of the "new" rooms. It is very pretty and the bed was very comfortable. The only thing I didn't like is the type of office chair they have at the desk. The floors are tile or something, so the chair keeps sliding away for the desk while you're sitting in it. Otherwise, the work they've done is very nice. They have a pool and hot tub, but we didn't have time to try either so I can't review them. It is basically across the street from the beach. A short walk but worth it. The breakfast is typical hotel continental breakfast, but Travis does a great job of keeping everything filled so you can have what you want without waiting. (He is also very friendly) There aren't too many table, but we never had to wait to eat. We stayed 2 night, and like I said, we will be back.

    « Nothing Soecial »

Room was clean and we liked the non-carpeted floors. Three of three front desk people we spoke with were friendly and helpful. The thing we didn't like was paper thin walls both inside and out. Neighbors next to us were not loud at all but we could still hear their conversations. Could hear anything going on outside. Fortunately we have a sound machine app that allowed us to sleep without hearing everything going on around us Only other thing was that our used towels were not taken and replaced. We asked for replacements but it didn't happen. Best thing about the room was a fabulous shower...I want one for home! Location is great for exploring St Augustine Beach or the city. Right across street from lovely beach.

    « Great hotel/Great location »

My family && I only spent one nite here but it was a great nite. We just needed a quick getaway and this hotel was right on time. At the time there was some construction going on but we didn't mind. Check-in was speedy. Great staff. Hassle free parking for a small hotel. The room was very clean and spacious! Wi-fi worked well && best of all, beach is literally across the street.

This place is amazing. The staff make the experience so wonderful. Cannot say enough about how clean and well presented the hotel is. Brand new bathrooms are great! Wish I could have taken the shower head home with me.......... The bed is comfortable and enjoyed the entire 2 nite stay! HOT TUB is great!

« Great Place to Stay »

Enjoyed our stay here as we have stayed numerous times over the past few years. The ocean and restaurants are within walking distance and it is quiet and peaceful. I did leave some clothes and hope to get them mailed to me soon.

    « Nice weekend »

Just remodeled and very clean, close to the beach ,beds were comfortable, easy walk to everything, just what I expected for the price. Staff was very helpful. The only problem was the bathroom fan was not working

« Great location, a short walk to the beach »

We stayed at this location for two nights and its location is great. We were visiting to see the sights of St Augustine but wanted to be near the beach so we could do some beach walking. Room has been updated and is well furnished and comfortable. It is a short walk across the street and down a path to ocean access with miles of beautiful beach to explore. Breakfast is typical cereals, waffles, eggs but certainly enough for us to get our day started. Breakfast area is a little tight but you can make do.

    « Excellent Service »

I want to let everybody know the Excellent Service Ashley, Melissa, Travis and Jody gave us all when we stayed last month in January. I'm writing a personal Satisfaction Letter to each and everyone of them as I promised before I left. Because of my busy schedule I apologize for not doing it before but this serves as proof that me and my family love the way you guys always went out of your way to make our stay pleasant. I miss you guys, I miss the Hotel and I miss St. Augustine but we will be Back!. You guys deserve to be recognized. And I hope you do. Thank you again for your generosity making customer service the Highest because of you!!. Always, Mrs. Del Toro

Just outside the city, hotel provides great comfort and value plus a variety breakfast each day. Newly renovated, this hotel is classy and comfortable! Great pool and hot tub. About 10 minutes away from Old St. Augustine and all the sights. Loved it here!

« Nice hotel in St. Augustine Beach »

We stayed one evening at this comfortable hotel which is close to St. Augustine Beach. I walked accrossed A1A and down a short path to the lovely beach. We were greeted by a very nice young man who checked us in and was very helpful. We ate at a restaurant, Salt Life which was right down the road from the hotel and the food was outstanding.

    « Helpful Staff »

Stayed 2 nights at this motel not hotel, as your room exited outside on to a common landing overlooking the car park, which was quite noisy first thing in the morning as people went about there business. The check in staff were very helpful and pleasant. The room was bright and colourful consisting of 2 queen beds with clean fresh linen and fridge, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities but no lock box/safe. The bathroom had a bath with shower with adequate clean fresh towels though strangely the hanging space for clothes was a rack open in the bathroom. The breakfast was fairly basic, but set us up well for the day and again the staff were helpful. Free wifi and parking were available. Reasonable value for money and would use again if in the area.

    4
    « VERY NICE!! »

This hotel is both nice looking, and nicely located. The room was clean, the king bed was comfortable, and the staff members were friendly. When we discovered that our microwave was not functioning to the maximum in the evening, the young man at the front desk arranged for a new one to be brought in within a short time. While the breakfast items are pretty much the norm, they were well done and fresh. Were spent the night during the week, rather than on a weekend, and found it to be restful and quiet. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

    « Great weekend getaway »

What a beautiful view! The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was yummy. It is located very close to the beach which makes it very easy to just walk right down and enjoy the good Florida sun! I will definitely come back!

« Very nice close to the beach »

The rooms are clean, big bathroom, nice linens. We had a burned out headlight and the desk staff directed us to a local repair shop. Helpful with places to eat & places to see. Very friendly & helpful. Only a block to a wide beach. : ) . The hotel was quiet even with remodeling going on. The front desk said to call if there was noise after 8 & they would send them away. But never a problem. They are starting to recycle too. Only suggestions to make it better. Put two chairs with foot stools in the room. The one is nice and there is a desk chair to use. After a full day of sightseeing it's nice to put your feet up.

« Clean and close to the beach »

Spent a couple of days here. Nice quite location, clean and very comfortable. A good place to stay as it is close to the beach. The weather was not good for the beach, but all in all a great two days. Would stay again

« Great Adventure with family, and excellent service »

Im also a an employee at the Best Western too and is funny how I write a review as a guest haha. First off when I checked in with Ms.Ashley words cannot describe the best service I ever had, she is one of the staff that really sparkles the hotel.and is cute how we became "best western buddies"' and I thank you very much how you were able to take care of my me concerning my reservation and also accomodated in adjoining room not expected nbut thank you cause I do understand whats available or not and yes the hotel is small but beautiful though, very clean, and comfortable is like an oasisin St Augustine to relax. Next, Mr. Jody who is a "night auditor like me" I would love to thank you for your service and how you were able to take care of all my needs in concern of my reservation, also Ms. Melissa I thank you so much too and my family clicked in with u soo fast and also Mr. Travis thank you very much for your service you as a breakfast server I see how you were always filling out every needs of food, drinks, whenever it was running out and as courtesy greetings to others, and offering water. I am more than happy to meet all of these staff I mentioned because without them there is nothing. Again I was soo thrill to meet you all and hopefully we see each other again. Best regards: Newton. Go team go!!

« Excellent Service, Good hotel to relax »

My name is Newton and Im also a Best Western employee in Miami, FL, is funny how I write a review as an employee. On January the 10th, Ms. Ashley from the front desk checked me in. I would love to say Ithank you Ms. Ashley soo very much for being so attentive she such a beautiful person at the hotel, and how I was accomodated in an adjoining room wasnt really expecting for that cause I do undertsand whats available or not as a staff, hehe, she really attracts the public, and employees too with that beautiful character of her, she really shines the hotel. thank you Ms. Ashley I was soo thrill to also meet other best western employees like Ms. Ashley. I also would love to thank Mr. Jody (nigh auditor like me lol) who also helped accomodate my reservation and for answering my questions. thank you Jody I was so thill to meet you too. Ms. Melissa the front desk supervisor it was such a great pleasure meeting you even my parents liked your service, and also Mr. Travis who accomodates breakfast is been such a great pleasure meeting you too, good job in serving the breakfast, whenever run out and also greetings. The hotel is soo beautiful is like a mini palace an osias near the beach to rest, howvever why the city in St Augustine be so foggy anyways? smh but who cares I had a blast with me and my peeps, also neighborhood seems quiet too. Once again I thank you all very much for your beautiful service and hey we are the crew that composes"" Best Western'' Go team go.

« Good Hotel across street from beach »

This is a quiet and well-run hotel that has recently renovated rooms, an attentive staff and is very clean. This is good for small families wanting to stay at the beach instead of in town when visiting Saint Augustine, or for travelers down the coast who would like to avoid the traffic rush in the city of Saint Augustine. I'm one of those bedbug inspector types, and the room passed with flying colors. My husband liked the mattresses, I felt they were too soft. Difficult to please all. This had a convenient laundry area for all those wet beach towels we made. The complimentary breakfast exceeded our expectations and included a different item each morning.

    5
    « great location »

this hotel is across from the fantastic beach, and just along the road in walking distance some great places to eat ( and drink ) We will be staying again in 2016 !. Only thing to be aware of is the hot tub !! yes great to relax in but remove any silver rings as they come out black after the chemicals in the tub.

    5
    « Excellent Staff »

By no means a 4 or 5 star hotel this hotel still wins points on it's friendly staff, and clean rooms. Looks like the bathrooms have been recently updated and refreshed, although workmanship was not the greatest (toilet loose on flange, tile not installed in the most appealing pattern). Great place if you want something close to the beach, clean and comfortable, but not too expensive

    3
« Room appeared recently renovated but dirty »

Room appearance was pleasant and modern and appeared recently renovated. Unfortunately, our first floor room was full of sugar ants that were all over our belongings, the towels had stains, and the tub clogged. We opted for another location the following night. « Good value. Cute and Cozy. »

This is a great little hotel just off the beaten path and across the street from the beach. Considering the holiday season and nearby tourist attraction of downtown St. Augustine, this hotel was a great value. Rooms were clean and very cute. Staff was friendly. Clientele was primarily families and young travelers. I'd stay here again.

    2
« Outdated and not clean »

This hotel is outdated, we received an updated room which still is considered outdated. The room was not clean there was used soap in our bathroom and red ants that we had to go complain to front desk about. The staff is very friendly

    4
    « secure and convenient »

Although not walking distance, the location is reasonably close to the town centre. We were fortunate that we were allocated a room to the rear which was well away from the busy road. No trouble with noise. The building is showing a few signs of age and could do with age refurbished before too long. As a gel ways in this chain, the breakfast is close to shocking.

    5
    « Diva 5K Race »

We stayed at this hotel for the Diva 5k race. I would stay at this location again. It was within a reasonable walking distance from the start and finish line. The hotel rooms were very clean and I liked the fact that there was no carpet in the rooms.

    4
    « Nice room ... poor parking »

The room was clean and neat. We had a king bed - very comfortable. It was 'roomy' - as in a large space. There was laminate type floor with an area rug in the sitting area. A pocket door separates the sleeping quarters from the bathroom area. What I did not like was the parking area. It is awful! If you have a large vehicle, do not drive to the back of the hotel. There is only one way in and one way out of this place. Large vehicles do not have enough room to turn around ... you have to back out. Also, I left my galaxy charger and when I called I was told it would cost a minimum of $10 to ship. It's cheaper to buy a new one. We are a preferred customer and they don't care.

    4
    « St. Augustine Trip »

Hotel is very clean and the staff was accommodating and fixed any problem that we encountered. I was very pleased with the hotel and location was awesome. The staff was helpful and friendly. I would stay there again and recommend this hotel to everyone going to St. Augustine.

    3
    « Great location »

Great location, walk to beach and short drive to historic area. Day front desk was nice and funny at check in but when I wanted to lengthen my stay she wasn't helpful and a bit rude. Wanted to charge way too much and I would have to change rooms. Changed hotels for my last day. Night staff very friendly, Jody was friendly.

    3
« Ok for a night or two »

They have a full kitchen and plenty of rooms. Be weary that there are a few people who live in the motel. close to everything, but not close enough to really walk downtown. carpet in rooms, tile in bathrooms.

    4
« Good Place to Stay »

Staff was friendly and helpful. Near the beach and pier. Close to historic places and outlet mall. Rooms were recently renovated and nice. Only issue is they were dusty and satellite kept breaking up due to high wind.

« Nice hotel for the price »

I stayed at the Seaside Inn after a bad experience at a hotel down the road. The hotel is being renovated, the exterior is done as well as the pool area. They both look really nice. The rooms are currently being renovated as well. I received one of the rooms that had not been renovated yet, but it was nice and really clean. I was able to see a couple rooms that were near completion and really impressed with how modern they are going to be! Really nice place, quiet, yet just across A1A from the beach. The staff was exceptional! Everyone was friendly and seemed to want to go out of their way to help with your needs! Breakfast was good as well. I will be back.

« Great price & location to the beach »

It's a short walk to the beach. The staff were all so kind and helpful. The rooms are being renovated and we were in one and it was nice & clean. It had comfy bed & pillows. A cab to downtown is around $12. We'd defiantly stay here again.

    4
    « Excellent value! »

Can not beat it for the money. Great location..great breakfast..great staff!!! Pool area is spotless and includes a hot tub. Our room was recently renovated and they did a fantastic job. I read where someone in a previous review had a funny smell in thier room. Please remember that Florida water is full of sulfur. It is what it is. I would have given this hotel 5 stars. But the parking can be a little tricky. It would definitely not keep me from staying again though.

    5
    « pleasant stay »

The hotel is being renovated but the room I was in was very nice and the personnel are extremely helpful and pleasant. the location is good there are nice restaurants around and the beach is right across the street(beautiful beach).

« Very nice hotel. GREAT staff! »

The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of towels and good water pressure. The breakfast was quite good with some hot and a good selection of cold items. I loved that there was always coffee available! The pool area and hot tub were not huge but definitely usable and immaculate. The outdoor area is very pretty and nicely illuminated at night. Wifi worked great and the beach was literally just across the road. The desk and breakfast staff were all brilliant. Very helpful and friendly. The only reason I didn't give it a five rating was there was an odd smell when entering the room. We all adjusted to it pretty quickly but each time we came back in it was there. (It seemed like a drain issue.) Other than that it was a great stay!

    3
« Good location and nice stay »

Our room was clean and tidy and the bed was exceptionally large and comfortable. There was large flat screen tv, fridge, coffee machine and microwave. The bathroom is really compact, with a decent shower over the bath and the loo, with the sink being in a vanity unit in an alcove in the room. The room felt a little bit dark and old fashioned, however it looked like some of the rooms were in the process of being refurbished, as there was a lot of moving of mattresses and workmen at the hotel. There was a smallish outdoor pool and a whirlpool. There isn't a lot of space around the pool, just room for a few sunbeds and chairs. The hotel is a short walk from the beach, which on a still and sunny day, must look stunning!!! Breakfast offered a good selection; cereal, some hot eggs, waffle machine, toast/bread, yoghurt etc. It does get quite busy in the room, as there isn't that much space.

    2
« Overpriced for a Hotel under Renovation »

Initial room was extremely musty smelling, and we all wound up waking up with headaches; Requested a different room and were moved to a room that was supposedly "just renovated". Staff was wonderful, showed concern and the desire to make things right. However, the room we were moved to was still under repair - painter's tape on the trim, sash between bathroom tile and room carpet missing, bathroom toilet seat needed repair, etc. They should have offered to reduce the rate since the rooms were not up to par.

    5
« Great Stay and location »

Location, location, location. Was in town for a wedding which was four blocks away. Room very clean. Great size. Had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Microwave, refrigerator. Desk and Chair. With an additional comfy chair. Small, but, nice breakfast area. The pool area was kept up and bright and cheery. I would definitely come back and stay at this location!

    4
    « Under construction »

The staff was very friendly. The room smelled like it needed to be aired out. Unfortunately, that kept my husband awake from coughing. The Breakfest had a nice variety so it was easy to find something we each liked. The location was good. It was an easy walk to the beach and to restaurants.

    2
« Sugar Ants, broken appliances, dirt behind the bathroom door... »

If you don't mind sugar ants crawling all over your night stand... a broken refrig.. and dirt behind the bathroom door... then I would recommend this hotel. However, if you do mind those things... then find another hotel.

    2
« Need to redo rooms »

The staff was great. Several rooms (the ones we stayed in) were very moldy smelling. No hooks in the bathroom for towels, etc.. Rooms were not well-lighted, even with 4-5 lights. Upstairs room we checked out smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Continental breakfast was nice. A few ants crawling around on the nightstand.

    « Pleased with stay »

After a nightmare at Daytona Bestwestern Casa Del Sol. I was afraid this was going to another dump. I was surprised!!! Very pleasant and helpful staff. The room was clean and updated. Love the new bathrooms! Very convenient to beach and restaurants. Did not try the breakfast but it smelled very good. The only issue was there was no trash can in our room. We will stay here again.

    2
    « Under Construction »

While I understand that hotels need renovation noisy saws and cutting and banging should be confined to a few hours during the day. Currently management at the front desk tells me that they stop by 9 pm. This turns an otherwise great little place right across from the beach into a construction zone. Stay away for now unless you hate peace and quiet.
