Best Western Pine Springs Inn

Very good, as in we would come back, but the property is in sore need of upkeep. Pretty setting, lovely and helpful front desk. Laundry was a plus. Full breakfast. Very near the racetrack but up above all the hub bub. Outdoor entry doors and what looks to be rooms facing a courtyard but we were not offered those though we were members.

Pine springs inn is amazing! Their breakfast is unforgettable and so many options. The biscuits and gravy alone make me excited to come back. The staff was very nice and accommodating and the courtyard is so peaceful. We will definitely be staying here again!!!

Location is a bit away from downtown but it's good. Customer service is good. They have friendly staff. The garden is area looks nice. I like that they have an area for pets and they have a plastic dispenser and trash can there. Rooms needs updating as well as some repairs.

We stayed during Labor Day weekend and returned for Christmas. The GM and her staff did not disappoint. All staff members that we encountered were so pleasant, even on Christmas Day where everyone wants to be at home.. Our only complaint was how uncomfortable the mattresses were. Time to make a change. Breakfast was great and the staff were always on top of the items as they started to diminish. Overall, I was happy with the stay. Room was clean and no issues.

This Hotel has always been great, but this stay was different. Rooms were not ready at 4:00 p.m. (4 guests waiting) due to small cleaning staff. There were no hand towels, only wash cloths and many people living there full time. The grounds are still very well maintained and the breakfast is excellent. Hopefully this was just a one time incident due to the holidays.

Pine Springs Inn is a fantastic place to stay in Ruidoso. I highly recommend you stay with them. Holly and Adriana and their crew go above and beyond to make your stay a fantastic one. Marcella makes a fantastic breakfast that I highly recommend.and she makes sure that you are very satisfied with you breakfast.. Philipie does a great job keeping the hotel grounds very clean and the maintenance of the hotel in good working order. Eve and Katelyn at the front desk will welcome you with a great big smile and they go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.

We enjoyed this hotel. The accommodation were excellent. Very quiet and peaceful. The outdoor area is very clean and well kept. The breakfast is good. We would stay here again and would recommend this to family and friends.

We have stayed at quite a few motels and cabins in Ruidoso over the years, but after we discovered Best Western Pines, we have never stayed anywhere else. It is friendly, quiet, beautiful, and they love dogs. The beds are good and the breakfast is outstanding. We look forward to going back soon.

Horrible hotel! My room smelled like cigarette smoke, pot, and something else indescribable. I opened the door and window to hopefully clear out the stench, but that did nothing. Some topless guy kept walking back and forth looking inside my room. Then a car load of people with SCREAMING kids got the room upstairs and started bouncing around like they were on a trampoline. Besides all the random people just standing around the hotel, the topless man walked by with a lit cigarette and walked into his room. The smoke smell started getting worse in my room, so I went to the front desk to to let them no what was happening. They canceled my room and I checked out. Most every note was booked, but thank God La Quinta had a room. Now I have to make sure Best Western actually canceled my room. Staff could not return points so I have to call corporate today.

Good enough but not perfect. Had several issues that were resolved. No towels upon arrival, no water cups/glasses, room was not ready at posted checking in time, price was HIGH (Previous night rate was 1/2).

Mattress was very old, I was rolling to one side all mite, exhaust fan sounds like a jack hammer, bathtub was so old dirty, front fest over charged me by $3000.00 , yes that's the correct number, my bank denied charged, it was fixed but no apology

The staff was super nice! All were friendly and knowledgeable! We especially appreciate the couple who prepare the breakfast and maintain the grounds. The breakfast options are yummy good! We truly enjoyed the beautiful view! It seems like you have a very good team, who work well together in maintaining your hotel! Thank you!

Room was not cleaned good,sofabed had mouse droppings on it.manager was hard to get a hold of.problem has not been dealt with.person on duty last night said she would bring some blankets and put on sofabed so we could sleep on it.

Its is a good spot to be at but your service in general needs to be improved. I will suggest to improve he light of the place, it is dark in general, needs to have better notice so you knw where you are and where other spots are in the facility ,

We had stayed at this hotel before and our memory and experiences, made us want to stay there again. This stay was simply, marvelous! The balcony is very long and wide. We spent a lot of time out there. We actually, took our little heater and TV and placed it outside. It was very enjoyable and more memories were made. The room was enormous! We just loved every aspect of our stay there.

Beautiful area and wonderful people. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet, clean and friendly place to stay. There are a number of things to see and do whether you are young or of the senior generation.

Employees were very friendly and helpful. They liked to joke around with the guest and did. The rooms were very clean and so was the parking area. The location was off the main road a good ways so you did not here any road traffic. They what tables setup outside so you could enjoy the view of the mountains

The hotel is located near Ruidoso Downs and very well maintained. This is a peaceful place to relax. Breakfast is good for the family and a nice variety to choose from. Very close to great views and exploration. Surrounded by trees and located at the top of hill. Only recommendation for Hotel would be to try and repave the entrance a bit bumpy with holes already that have been covered

This is quite a beautiful place. Located off highway up hill and in big trees. Quiet setting. It has been my favorite for a long time. The rates are reasonable and I will continue to stay here as long as they are reasonable.

We chose this hotel because of the availability and relatively reasonable price during an event weekend at Ruidoso Downs Racetrack. Once there, we were immediately impressed with how quiet it was being tucked among the pine trees. We felt lucky to have found this location after a tour of the boisterous tourist area of Ruidoso. Driving to the tourist area was extremely easy and returning to the peaceful hotel at the end of a fun day was very satisfying. I don't think anyone would want to cross highway traffic on foot to get to the racetrack, but we were parked and ready for the races within 2 minutes of leaving our room in the hotel.

This Hotel has a beautiful view, but the bed is hard as a rock, the room smells like dirty body odor, and the staff are not welcoming at all!! You have to officially check out or the hotel charges additional fees and they expect you clean your room before checkout. Not that I would leave a mess, but really???

Great location... close to anything you want to do in Ruidoso but located far enough off the highway to feel secluded in the country. Breakfast buffet actually has meat on it. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are clean

This is a very nice clean hotel and is in a beautiful setting. With all the pine trees it smells great. It's directly across from the race track and easy distance into town. The staff was very efficient and helpful. However, the beds in our room #114 need replacing ASAP. They sagged and were very noisy while sleeping. We will stay here again, but will check out the beds first!

What a beautiful location this hotel has! It is up in the trees while still being easy to access from the main road. The courtyard is lovely, a great place to sit and relax. The rooms were nice. Very comfortable beds, and very clean. Breakfast was nice, and the hot tub was a great way to end a long day. The staff at the front desk were also very friendly. We stayed mid week (not during horse races), and our rate was low as a result. Great value for the money!

Made reservations with Best Western, when we arrived the front desk guy said he didn't have them. I showed him the confirmation number and charge to my card. Told me I had to call Best Western, have me some number to a 3rd party. After 1-2 hour of back and forth I had to go to another hotel. I was charged a no show fee as well. The guy kept saying what do you want me to do? I just think you should avoid it, we went to LaQuinta and it was fabulous. Best Western did refund me.

Almost every person's room was not ready. We waited over 2 hours for our room to be ready/cleaned and we're never offered a discount for the inconvenience. Additionally, an elderly couple waited over 4 hours for their room to be cleaned/ready!! The entire lobby was consistently full of people waiting for their rooms to be ready. This was just unacceptable.

The location of this hotel is beautiful! I love that it's tucked away in a wooded area off of the main road. The setting and views are spectacular. As was the complementary breakfast service - excellent selection and attentive staff. However, we arrived late, around 10:30 p.m. after a long day on the road and were ready to fall into bed and sleep. Unfortunately, as I turned down the sheets, I discovered a balled up used tissue with lord knows what inside, as well as many hairs on the rumpled sheets. It was obvious that the linens had not been changed since the previous guests. Totally unacceptable and disgusting. We got clean bedding from the front desk and changed the sheets ourselves.

We tried checking in a little after 4, front desk said our room wasn't ready and was unsure when it would be. We returned at almost 11 pm. Front desk said they think it's ready. Gave us the keys, when we got to our door it was wide open. Called front desk they said cleaning left it open. Almost positive they just made the bed and didn't put clean sheets on. Someone else's hair all over. Just a terrible experience and so sad for it, it's really a beautiful location.

We absolutely loved the setting/location of this hotel and the friendly, helpful staff. The courtyards and breakfast were incredible, with authentic tamales. We stayed at 4 different hotels during our spring break and this one was our favorite. The outdoor pool and large jacuzzi were tucked behind the hotel with large trees flanking the area. We really loved the dreamy setting. The hotel had rooms to access from outside, but we loved the fresh air. Deer were just outside and it was perfect. We truly loved our stay

Motel style property with outside entrances to rooms. Nestled on the side of a hill amongst pine trees, the three buildings make for a nice little complex. Staff was friendly and efficient, room was clean, bed was comfortable, parking was ample. Breakfast could have been more healthy.

The road up to the hotel was pretty. The property itself had a lovely park-like feel, like it may have been a retreat center at one point. I was treated nicely when I checked in and even given water a bottle of water. Unfortunately, the smell in the room was so off putting. I had booked through the BW app and the room was non-refundable. I also heard in the lobby that they were sold out. The bathroom sink drain wasn't working. Called the front desk and someone came within the hour and ‘fixed it.' We went out for dinner and when we came back, the sink now drained but the stench increased. It smelled so foul, like sewage. I went to the lobby and the 3 young people working may not have understood the issue. I asked for drain-o to see if that would help and they gave me a bottle of spray cleaner. I poured it into the drain. Same awful smell. We stopped the drain and put a towel in the sink for the night. We showered the next morning, the tub wasn't draining. I told the gentleman at breakfast, who had fixed the sink, that the tub also had an issue. He apologized, but…?! On another note, the breakfast was fabulous.

The location of this motel was great. Scenery, the Court yard is beautiful.the landscape that surrounds this beautiful.The amenities are great. The pool and hot tub were great. Very If there is motel that you need in area I would recommend this place. Very quite. Place. Even if you just want to get away for a weekend. This is a great place to do it.

This property is up a hill by itself. Mountains and trees all around. Like a private get away. If you are into the fancy hotel with the beautiful lobby area, bars etc.., this may not be for you. The rooms are much bigger than I am used to, comfortable but not lavish. They have smoking and non smoking rooms that are actually in diff bldgs! In my opinion it is the best bang for your buck.

Gorgeous property that was private and safe! They were helpful in switching rooms to a more private area. Great breakfast options for families and nice location that was close to stores and shopping before leaving town.

From the checking process, housekeeping services, breakfast, to lounging in the room, everything was great. Groundskeeping was also excellent. The location is great, far from the noise and yet close enough to everything essential and more.

In actuality, the room was nice enough and clean. However, the front desk attendant, Shannon, was extremely rude and acted as though we were a huge inconvenience when our room key failed to work. The first time, I called her and she stated it would be awhile for her to come bring us another because she had a lobby full of people. So, I went myself to get another set of keys. When I got to the lobby, it was totally empty and she said, “oh I was just bringing you the keys.” So I brought the new set of keys to the room and they did not work. So, I called Shannon again. She literally argued with me and wanted to know if the light turned green, which of course it didn't therefore that was the reason I was calling her. Then she said “well, I don't know what's wrong, I programmed it myself” I asked her to please come figure it out because my 80 yo mother was waiting in the cold. She said “YES MAM”. When she came, she demanded to try my cards and of course they did not work. So she tried the third set and they finally worked. She left in a huff. No apology, nothing….I asked her the name of her manager and she said “Sarah”. So Sarah, if you read this, your staff needs a lesson in customer service. Just because things have changed because of Covid, does not mean you can treat paying customers with such rude behavior.

We were passing through Ruidoso, NM as we always do intentionally for a lil Anniversary getaway. Ha. Had a great time and the Best Western here is one of our favorite places to stay. Few times it has been less than perfect but this time they have any past problems taken care of. Room was great, Breakfast great and Service great. Tomales for breakfast was genius. Yummy.

We've stayed at this hotel 4 times and we will continue to do so. This hotel has such beautiful scenery. We enjoyed the pool, even though, it is November already, it was not that cold. The jacuzzi was nice and warm.

It's located by Apache mountains, it was cold at night but beautiful :) had a continental breakfast. Nice patio, quiet and just loved the view. The pool was closed but that's okay. :) The room was spacious and had great amenities.

Nice little place tucked up in the woods we normally travel that way three or four times a year one of our favorite spots really nice people extremely good breakfast heated pool and Jacuzzi extremely nice Always a plus..Great place to visit

This hotel is in a beautiful setting with a courtyard for some rooms. The staff is courteous and helpful. Due to covid, housekeeping is every 5 days, however you can exchange towels as needed. I depend on the reviews to help me find hotels and selected this one due to those good reviews. I must say that I was extremely disappointed in the room that we had. First of all, it was clean, but that's where my good review ends. The sink stopper was rusted and there were cracks in the sink. The carpet was loose where it met the tile in the bathroom area - a tripping hazard. Our TV remote did not work most of the time. The staff put new batteries in it and no difference. We complained several times. Also, our door keys had to be reprogrammed twice. When they did work, it took several tries to get the door to unlock. I do not mind staying at an older hotel, but this one could use some TLC. It is difficult for me to believe all the great reviews on the "beautiful" rooms when ours was in such bad shape. Also, we were on the 1st floor and we could hear the people above us 3 out if the 5 nights. We would not stay here again and will not recommend it to anyone.

Everything at this hotel was perfect, breakfast was great, and our stay was perfect, in the morning it's quiet when you sit outside with a coffee, I would recommend this place to all my friends and family

Hotel was very nice. Breakfast was very good, standard fare I believe across most hotels. It was on time in the mornings. Rooms very clean. The courtyard if you call it that was excellent. The pine trees and grass and the layout of the yard was very nice.

Great place to stay (although the beds are a little uncomfortable). The view is amazing, it's centrally located so you can easily get to many parts of town. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

We had a class reunion here and the location really made it nice. We sat outside on lawn chairs and visited under the trees. It was well suited for our cookout dinner. The breakfast was ample both hot and cold options. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

We stayed here on a last minute trip to Ruidoso and were very impressed. The grounds were immaculate. The breakfast was fresh and hot and even had tamales. The room was clean even though they were short staffed. We will stay there again when in town.

We love the seclusion of the courtyard rooms and accessible breakfast room, plus it is pet friendly. The full breakfast is made by a couple who have been with this Best Western for 15 years and welcome us back with smiles (behind their masks). The free WiFi is sometimes difficult to access if your room is too far away from the main entrance.

Easy check in. Had a jr suite with a pool view. Very clean nice room. Great mountain view, Grounds are well kept. Breakfast is no different than most continental breakfasts. Room was spacious and cozy. Easy access to racetrack and not far from shopping. Had a smoking room and had to go to Walmart and buy our own ashtrays but the Walmart is just down the road. so that was a minor hassle. We have stayed here 5 times and have never been disappointed. We will stay here everytime we come to Ruidoso. We have stayed at the more exclusive hotels and they are good but, for the price this is the best stay in the area.

For the price I would expect better rooms. The faucets leaked all over counter when used. Lights were unplugged behind the bed and I had to move the bed to plug back in. Worst of all wreaked of urine. Dog or ??

Full Breakfast is not an apple, granola bar and a yogurt. Key cards that don't stay activated long enough to get checked out. Heat and Air units out dated and that don't work. Had to call maintenance 1:00AM to Fix. Showers that dripple not even warm water, tub that takes almost an hour to drain. Standing in not even warm water. Two locations put me in a room with a shower stall only, when I asked for a tub room. Out of 7 locations only one was fair, the rest were not where you would want to ever go back to. Not where you would want to spend your traveling time and money.

The rooms were clean, and the location was perfect for the horse races and casinos. One problem with the bed was that slats were sticking out, and I hit my ankle. Front desk was notified at check-out, and we had some taken off of the bill. Breakfast was delicious. We will most likely stay again in the future.

If you are coming to Ruidoso to be in the peaceful mountains then this is the property. I immediately thought it would be perfect for a large family group as well since there was so much outside space to relax together. Check in was a breeze, the room was large and had windows facing out over the parking lot to the mountains. It was wonderful to lay in bed in the morning and look out at the view. We were on the corner by the stairs and it was never noisy. The room was large and we weren't crowded at all. The room itself was basic but clean, the property grounds were fantastic. We had breakfast on the deck, surrounded by trees and the fresh mountain air. In the evening we played games out there as a family and enjoyed walking around in the courtyard. There were so many places to read, draw, or just sit and chill out. I was SO RELAXED staying here! Covid updates: Pool was closed and breakfast was a full self service hot meal (excellent coffee) and everyone was masked during the service time but not during sitting and eating. We ate outside so it was not an issue for us. Check in was everyone wearing a mask. There is so much outdoor space here that you can easily social distance. I felt very covid safe here.

Don't waste your money or points staying at this hotel. The beds were the worst of any I've ever slept on at a Best Western Property. Also the water pressure was non existent. It was so low the shower would not stay running. The grounds were lovely and well cared for and the setting was quite tranquil, nestled in the pines of Ruidoso. Unfortunately, I was not camping, I was paying for a room where I could actually get refreshed and recharged. The beds were so uncomfortable none of my family got a good nights sleep. I'm talking soft, soggy, lumpy, springs sticking up in the mattresses. The water pressure is so low that the shower would not work, and it took 20 minutes to get a tub full of water to bathe in. This stay was anything but refreshing or relaxing. I have never felt led to give a negative review of a hotel but the reviews online of this hotel were glowing so either folks are lying or the people who had a bad experience were too pissed off to write a review.

Upon arrival the clerk was not able to find out reservation. Then stated that the last name was backwards which was clearly not on our side of the reservation email we got then they claimed we only reserved for 4 adults and 2 children when our email reservation clearly stated that the reservation was for 4 adults and 3 children. Then we asked if we could add an extra adult for an extra price and we were denied the request. So we had to book another whole 2 queen bedroom just for 1 extra adult. After leaving I realized somebody had scratched my trucks front bumper. Overall bad experience

Property is surrounded by nice green trees away from the road. Room was very large, and very clean. Lots of TV channels. Comfortable bed. Nice thick towels. Bathroom has a heated ceiling light. A safe choice.

I just had to add this to my previous review; I was just helped over the phone by Shannah and if more people were like her, life would be so much easier and less stressful. She went above and beyond to make our trip more satisfying. She didn't have to, she could have just continued with my regular reservation but she made some calls, and well, needless to say, we are now even more excited about our trip! Thank you Shannah!-------My friends stayed at this hotel a month ago, so when we went to visit them there, we were envious of their hotel compared to ours. The area looked so cozy and the room was large and clean so two weeks ago, we stayed at this same hotel and just loved it. The manager that night had her hands full but we were quite impressed with how she handled the stress. We are making our way there again this weekend and can't wait to get there. Believe it or not, we have no other reason for going all the way to Ruidoso, other than enjoying our room. We might go out for awhile but the main purpose is to enjoy this hotel.

The second floor parking lot view is beautiful. I can't say enough about the cleanliness of the room, bathroom and linens. Nice view of the racetrack from the road leading to the hotel which matters when the track is closed for pandemic. Great quiet place off the highway. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay but we were bummed the pool was closed other than that it was a perfect getaway! We would absolutely stay again and tell all our friends and family about the property in ruidoso so they can enjoy like we did!

Location was great. Its off the road so you feel away from the traffic. Its within walking distance of Wal-mart and overlooks the Ruidoso Downs racetrack. Really liked how dog friendly they were. Staff was very friendly and accommadating.

Ok...customer service definitely need improve....room old but decent size...the sink was not in good condition...breakfast good and employees from breakfast nice and helpful...also some front desk ladies not nice and in a bad mood

The hotel has lovely outdoor spaces. Breakfast was great with a real breakfast with proteins, carbs and great coffees and teas. The hotel was comfortable with really helpful and caring staff. I will definitely stay here again.Hotel is off the highway so it is quiet. Really felt like I could sit and enjoy the outdoors which I did in the early mornings.

Stayed at this motel for a volleyball tournament. It's across the street from the racetrack and next to Walmart. The rooms are a little dated but quiet, nice and clean. Beautiful view of the mountain. There is a fridge and microwave. The heater would turn on & off frequently which bothered my husband while I was able to ignore it. Water pressure was weak. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was hardy. Scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits with gravy, waffles, pastries, coffee, tea and juice.

First time at this hotel. Check in was very easy and the hotel was comfortable. Very good deal for the price. Would definitely stay there again. The views from the room we're gorgeous and hotel is right across the highway from the racetrack

My wife and I had a great stay at this best western pine village.Everything was good from check I to checkout. The location across the street from Ruidoso racetrack and casino was very good and also right next door to a Walmart was a plus for quick necessities. Staff deserve compliments

The room was nice and clean. It was also pretty spacious compared to other rooms we've stayed in. We always look for hotels that have an included breakfast and this one did NOT disappoint. Sausage & biscuits, waffles with lots of toppings, scrambled eggs, and then the normal pastries, bagels, toast, etc.... The food was very well prepared and they kept the area very clean.

Will stay here again on our next trip. Clean rooms that are larger than most hotels. Sits on a mountain top with pretty views. Fast check in. Staff is very kind. Breakfast room was great with lots of different things to pick from

Wife was the first one in the shower at 0800 and the water disappeared. All lathered up and no water when it came back on it was freezing cold. needless to say nobody else wanted a shower. by 1135 there was still no hot water and just a tinkle of water pressure. Will not ever come here again.

We stopped in a snow storm at this beauty. Great staff and the best place off the highway we have ever stayed at. Pleasant staff and beautiful place. Breakfast untouchable by other hotels. Beautiful grounds and peaceful Highly recommend this beautiful location if you are ever in this area.

I highly recommend everyone to stay at Pine Springs Inn. Carol and her team goes well above and beyond to make your stay with them the best experience possible. It is a nice secluded, quiet and peaceful location.And be sure to try the breakfast also.

The front desk, breakfast staff, housekeeping are all to be commended. Everyone is part of a great team here at this aesthetic beautiful BW. We stay here many times a year and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

Our fourth visit as we love the wooded location off the main highway. All staff are friendly and professional. Rooms are comfortable. Very dog friendly and popular with those travelling with pets... lots of grassy areas. Well maintained and any small issues are quickly addressed. Haven't seen a more pleasant hotel than this in the area.

This was our 4th stay at the BW Pine Springs Inn, our 3rd for a Christmas getaway. The staff always makes us feel welcome and gives our dog the attention she loves. The property is well maintained and both staff and management are friendly, service oriented, and responsive to our needs. The wooded location can't be beat for relaxing. I must stay when in the Ruidoso area.

It was ok but if you would like a quiet room do not stay on bottom floor. Overall hotel is clean with very friendly staff very nice location. I think the price for hotel is reasonable and would recommend it.

The location was in the center of the town in a great location. The price is really great for what you get. You also get breakfast which is a bonus with the price. The view from the side of the mountain was probably the best in Ruidoso.

Do NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! Rooms are filthy, beds and pillows should be thrown out, smell of mold and super NOISY waking you up at all hours of the night because rude people cannot respect others solitude by stomping on floors abd stomping up and down stairs. Not good handicap access whatsoever!

We loved everything about this hotel. Staff, location, huge rooms and a big breakfast room. We would reccomend this hotel to all. We loved the quite of the location. The smell of the pine trees in the morning.

We found this motel on internet but was absolutely surprised at how beautiful the area was. The landscaping was very nice. Our room was fabulous. Very clean. Staff great and breakfast wonderful. We are already planning our next trip to this Best Western Pine Springs Motel. Also gave us a senior discount. Loved it!

We stayed at the pine springs inn for the cowboy symposium. Check in took a really long time. It didn't seem like they employ enough personnel. Don't know when I've had to wait that long. Room was clean and breakfast was varied.

Our team stayed here for a gymnastics meet. The rooms were dirty and wasp were in the rooms and everywhere. The front desk was neither friendly nor helpful We have stayed here for many years but now it is way different. They over charged my card and when calling them to let them know, they were very unprofessional and not clear. My team and I will not be back Very disappointed

Great hotel; friendly staff, very nice comfortable rooms. In my opinion; the best place to stay in Ruidoso! Beautiful grounds; well maintained. The breakfast buffet was very good; they even had biscuits and gravy!! Will definitely stay again and recommend it to all of my friends and family!

We went during the off season for horse racing and no special events which is the way we prefer to travel. It fit ALL our needs. It was off the main road and very quiet, it was clean, roomy and comfortable, the breakfast had everything you could want. The one draw back was that at check in, we were told the pool was open and heated but when we got out there, the sign said it was closed. The hot tub was still open so we used that. I would still recommend this for anyone wanting a nice and affordable room that is in a wooded area yet a short distance to many attractions.

Great Hotel, we would stay again. We were concerned about noise since the hotel was booked and the Cowboy Symposium was going on. However, we didn't hear anyone or anything from our room. We liked how the hotel was set back from the road. That was the main reason we made a reservation with them.

I came in from Lubbock tx and I've never been to a hotel where all my needs wants have been fulfilled like I have at this hotel.. the breakfast was outstanding the housekeepers were quick the rooms are nice but the front desk staff my gosh!!!! WONDERFUL JOB LADIES!!! I REALLY APPRECIATE THE WAY THE BOSS CAROL AND FRONT DESK LADIES CAME TOGETHER TO GET ME AND MY FAMILY INTO ROOMS!!! Stayed during Cowboy Symposium. The setting is always beautiful. Rooms clean and nice breakfast area. The staff in breakfast area were outstanding. Good hot food and great coffee. Easy access to beautiful Ruidoso.

We stay every year and would not think of staying elsewhere as we used to and tried every place in town none come close to Pine Springs BW! One reason we come every year is Pine Springs our fav by far!

Wonderful hotel away from noise high up a forested hill with beautifully maintained gardens, picnic areas and tables under the trees and plenty of pet areas. Ample parking, beautiful dining area with a conference room and bbq patio - all in a separate building. This is a great place!

My mom and I took a weekend trip to Ruidoso and stayed here. The place was wonderful. The view was amazing and the staff were great too. It was very relaxing. It is pet friendly too. We will definitely stay here again.

Motel overall above average rating was down graded by lack of interent service and attitude of management sincerity as to the cause or efforts to provide internet service. Lack of interent service required me to sit outside McDonalds or other internet available place ti use the internet.

The rooms were very pleasant, clean, and comfortable. The grounds, surrounded by trees and rolling green lawns, were fantastic. We were able to take side trips into Ruidoso, Lincoln, and the racetrack and come back for a great ngth's sleep. Couldn't have had a better stay.

We stayed here before and enjoyed it then and enjoyed it this time around again. The staff is always friendly and love the fact they allow pets. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone else staying in Ruidoso.

What a nice surprise to find myself (and my dog) in this peaceful location. Our two nights here were delightful! The BW Pine Springs Inn is just off the main road, nestled in the pines. Some reviews have mentioned that it's dated which is not the case. When I hear "dated," I expect to see worn furniture, threadbare carpet and a cringe factor when you enter the bathroom. The room was sparkling clean, the bed and linens of high quality and it was quiet! Since I travel with my 45# shelter mutt, it's nice to have an exterior door. The only possible dated feature would be the wall mounted HVAC unit which is not as good as having a room thermostat but that was a VERY minor item. The motel is a few minutes drive from central Ruisdoso and convenient in all respects. Special recognition should go to Cyriana (sp?) who worked the front desk, was genuinely friendly and ready to help with anything.

Location was great. Room was very roomy. Liked that our pitbull was allowed to stay with us..front desk people were great. Breakfast was hot and plenty of it. Pool and hot tub were fun especially heated since it was outdoors

This property is an older property with dated furnishings, but the property is clean and generally well kept. The spa was not properly working. The grounds are lovely and the staff is exceptional and the breakfast was great. This was our second stay as they are pet friendly.. I did find the rate a bit high at $309 on Labor Day weekend when regular rates are $124.

The Hotel sits on a quite mountian top and has a beautiful court yard with shade trees and nice sitting areas. Our room was very clean and well maintained. I would recomend this to anyone wanting a peaceful stay.

Facility location is good and ambiance of lot is good. Facility shows signs of age and is in need or renovation. However, I would stay here again without question. Very quiet. Location near the Downs is a plus.

Located up a hill from the highway situated among the trees with a feeling of isolation, even though businesses and town is real close. The breakfast is more than acceptable with good variety. The pool was exceptional fun for us all.

We have stayed at this hotel for several of our family trips to Ruidoso. I have never experienced another motel with a better atmosphere. So relaxing nice surroundings ,well kept grounds .Tables and chairs provided for outside relaxing.They even provide a barbecue pit.

This Hotel is highly recommended!. The staff and their professionalism is Outstanding!. The breakfast is good and plentiful. The only notable problem I saw, was one of the queen mattress was stained on the side of the mattress. Some very "Minor" housekeeping items needed more attention to detail but nothing devastating. I would recommend a deeper inspection by supervisory personnel would solve this minor problem. Thanks for a great stay!.

This is a very peaceful and quiet place to stay. It is one of my favorite places, but it is getting run down and needs some improvements. The grounds used to be very nice, the rooms are looking a bit shabby, and so are the towels!! All in all, we still like it, just needs a little TLC.

We always stay at this hotel when we decide to stay at a hotel in Ruidoso. It's off the highway a ways and has a secluded feel to it. The grounds are beautiful with lovely landscaping. The rooms are always clean and well furnished. The doors open to the outside instead of a hall which we prefer since we have dogs. We have stayed here several times and will continue to stay here in the future.

Manager is very rude and is very unprofessional. Staffing also doesn't know what they are doing. Because the number of customers going there to stay I strongly recommend more training or new management

The hotel is nestled off the highway, free of highway noise and had a very comfortable outdoor courtyard, including room for our dog to run about. Location is very convenient to the Ruidosis Downs race track and museum. Breakfast was standard, but good, and the breakfast area was kept neat and well-stocked. Rooms were clean and comfortable on arrival and the high speed internet worked without any issues. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to the Ruidoso area, especially those traveling with pets.

Got a free night with BW. Took advantage of the promotion and it worked great. Nice hotel in the big pines. Excellent front desk. They were friendly and efficient. the bed was a little hard but other than that it was a pleasant stay.

had a great time at the bestwester pines, the weather was great and the staff was very helpful and nice. the the room was great and modern and clean. the patio area was well kept and clean. our group had a great visit in the covered patio area and cook out.

We spent one night at this property. The room was much larger than expected and clean. The internet left a lot of room for improvement but the desk staff said they were working on fixing it. Might want to check signal before settling into your room if you're going to need service. Breakfast was average. Hotel staff was exceptional. Even received a courtesy call after getting settled to make sure everything was ok for us.

Enjoyed our stay here. It is in a very pretty location in the pines. Hotel was clean and has plenty of outside amenities. Wish we would have had more time to. This small jewel in ruidoso is a great place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of a tourist town. We stayed an extra night just because it is such a lovely setting among the pines in Ruidoso.

We stayed at this Best Western because of the value. Several were broken the blow dryer, the toilet, the water pressure was low and the people next door left their dog in their room while they were out who bark the whole time.

The Pine Springs Inn is in a beautiful wooded location, which makes for a quiet stay. The landscaping in the area by the rooms is incredible. Nice rooms, large and well-equipped. Breakfast comes with lots of choices.

We came to Ruidoso for spring break and from check in to check out BW was fantastic, even got a call from front desk as soon as I got settled in the room just to make sure I had everything I needed! Friendly Staff, great breakfast and everything is so close. 10 min away from Grindstone Stable, 18mim away from Winter Park and right in front of the Billy the Kid Casino!

Beautiful view, quiet area, and friendly staff. The beds were a bit too firm for my liking, but were perfect for my husband. I would definitely stay here again. I did not try the breakfast, but heard good things about it. I will have to try it next time!

We have been staying at this Best Western as long as i can remember. The location is just fantastic and super quiet. I always come here to recharge my mind and body. I guess the only thing missing is a gym,but i will take the peace and quiet over a gym any day.

The rooms were larger than normal which made out stay even better. We weren't cramped or trying to climb over each other. Everything was very clean and tidy. The hotel grounds are so peaceful!!! All the staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful!!! We would definitely return!

Beautiful location. The room was good. Comfortable and enjoyable. We enjoyed our stay very much. We would stay at this hotel again. The only complaint is bed is a bit firm. We went to walmart and bought plush mattress pad and it was perfect!

We had no recourse but to stay at this hotel when traveling during a severe winter snow in late December 2018. The roads beyond Ruidoso where closed, and several other hotels were full. Pine Springs had one room...and we grabbed it while we were en route into the town. After the reservation was made, we gasped at the high price...$270 with tax included. The rates on Google were $76. We are older and needed a hotel room, so we took it. The room itself was below average for Best Western, and while the young woman at the desk was super nice and also fixed our TV, the manager was not friendly at all. We complained about the price and the manager shrugged it off. I've complained to Best Western corporate, but they responded that management said that is the standard price because of "after Christmas" high season. Interesting that not all restaurants were open given the off season (and some had closed for the weather!). So, I checked, and in December 2019, the rates are $100 below what the management is saying the rack rate was for 2018 at the same time (though they are supposedly sold out on the exact day we stayed). I'm a retired marketer...and I know price gouging when I see it. I expected more of a Best Western franchisee. I will not return and encourage others to pass this hotel up.

The hotel was comfortable and the prices within normal range. There was a mishap with the reservation but it was fixed ( it was a smoking double queen instead of non smoking). The rooms were clean and appealing. I didn't bring my dogs this time, but they are pet friendly. They add a ten dollar fee per dog to the room fee. Over all it was good and the breakfast was abundant. The staff was friendly.

Whent down to this location for a snow trip with family i love the location on top of hillMy kids as crazy as it sounds enjoy the jacuzzi lol the temperature outside was below freezing but the tub was excellent breakfast was something to look forward too ot was really clean and had lots of selection just wish they had oatmeal other than that great place love it

Stay at Best Western Pine Springs, right after a 30 inch snowdump. The hotel was quick to clear the walkways, and cover to walkways upstairs. The property was picture perfect. The hotel was nestled in a forest of trees below a great mountain backdrop. The pool and hot tub, would have been perfect, if it wasn't blanketed with snow and an average of 19 degrees in temperature. Only a couple of minutes to shopping and a short drive to Winter Park. Great restaurants and casinos near.

When we arrived at the hotel it had snowed, so the grounds were a beautiful sight since the property is nestled in the woods. When we arrived, we spent a couple of hours playing in the snow with the kids. Our group was composed of 13 adults, 5 children and an infant. After that, we were allowed to use the breakfast room to gather and play some cards and socialize. The next day, after breakfast at the hotel, we spent all morning playing in the snow in the woods that are part of the property. We had a great time

Our trip started in Phoenix after an extended drive including a blown tire,no cell service,long empty not traveled mountain road filled with Elk and deer bounding out in front of us,we finally arrived.They cheerfully held the room for us. But the most exceptional part was the morning staff. The Continental breakfast was managed by a wonderfully competent woman named Mari her bubbly exuberance toward the guests was contagious, and the quality of the food was unexpectedly fresh ,it is amazing what a person like that can do for your rest of day. Only downside was the noisy heater could use some work,the front desk offered another room , but not needed anyway

We just finished our 3rd visit to the BW Pine Springs Inn, the second during Christmas. The staff never fails to make us feel welcome, especially our dog Hannah who always gets spoiled with attention and treats. They are always responsive to my request for a specific room facing their beautiful courtyard which makes it easy for Hannah to go out and enjoy the property. The breakfast room staff keeps the free breakfast well stocked and the room itself clean. The front desk staff always meets or exceeds my expectations and, as a former 11+ year hotel manager, I don't say that lightly. A big shout out to the front desk and housekeeping staff that include Erica, Rachel, and Tommy who worked on Christmas day and gave Hannah the attention that she loves. Erica ensured that my transition from a free night points stay to a paying stay was painless and seamless (it required two separate reservations which some properties don't handle well). Our room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The BW Pine Springs Inn is a must stay location for your visit to the Ruidoso area, especially if you are a dog owner.

This was a business trip and we stayed 2 nights was a great experience. We will be back if we are in the area again. Keep up the great service. Very quiet and clean. Pet friendly with a small pet fee.

Let's start with the good and great - easy access from Hwy 70 makes it a great location for a stay with day trips anywhere to Southern New Mexico. Hotel itself is far enough back that not much traffic noise will be present. As of Oct 2018 room price includes a free HOT breakfast - and not just waffles but eggs and sausage as well. Can always stop by the desk for some more free coffee, and cookies when available. Courtyard is very well designed - except that the lighting is mainly along the paths and so the little foot bridges can be difficult to navigate after dark. Not so good - first day room service completely missed the room. Second day they replaced the used towel and bath mat with two bath mats, and still didn't empty the trash. Finally on the third day (day before I left) they got it mostly right. Also, there was an issue with the door to the room that was reported to the desk the day I got there and never addressed - basically you had to swipe the card fully, then quickly push UP on the handle. Pushing down never worked and the timing often required 2 or 3 attempts. Maybe they thought it was a security feature? Overall I'd give it 4 stars as the good (mainly) outweighed the bad.

I've never stayed at a hotel where they called after we checked in call to ask if everything met out expectations and to see if we needed anything. Nice touch and lasting impression. Tucked away in the Pines with Walmart a skip away... Best Western Pine Springs Inn has been one of the best hotel / motel experiences I've had in a long, long time. The room was incredibly spacious, well appointed and clean..... the early morning breakfast was tasty and well prepared and.... the customer service from check in to check out was a solid 10. Nice place, nice people.... nice everything....

This hotel hosted a motorcycle gang of about 150 members on the same night of my family's stay. This gang revved their engines all night, talked loudly outside of my room, and made it completely impossible to sleep. My family got absolutely no sleep on the first night of our vacation which completely ruined our enjoyment of the entire trip. I was irritable and exhausted the rest of my trip thanks to the terrible decision to stay here. Management refused to give me a full refund, even though I complained throughout the night. I had to go outside and run people off in front of my room myself several times. The manager told me the next day that I was not entitled to a full refund since I "used the facilities". Well yeah, you book a hotel under the assumption that it will be somewhat quiet enough to sleep which it DEFINITELY was NOT. Will never stay here again under any circumstances.

We stop over in Ruidoso, NM lately when traveling to Oklahoma. I have stayed here 2 times. Very nice place with friendly staff. Pet friendly. Place is clean and worth the money even though they charged more for race season. Probably the norm for all Hotels. Ground floor is best looking into courtyard. Breakfast great. Pool would be a 2. Hot Tub was broken in February, March, and still in June. Same thing. Never fixed. Nice area but broke. Fix for a 5 rating. All in all, I will be back. Hope this helps.

We've stayed here 2 years in a row for our annual gathering. I've never been disappointed by the way they treat us and happily interact with such a large group. We'll be coming back over and over again

My family and I stayed at this hotel for a week. We hadn't had breakfast there until the last two days before we left. I overheard another one of the customers raving about the coffee that was being served at the hotels' breakfast room. That grabbed my attention! We had breakfast in and both times it was exceptionally good. They had a variety of ítems for just about anyones' taste. The hot breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. You also had a choice of cereals, yogurt, muffins, waffles, etc. And yes, the coffee was to die for! Mary was so pleasant during breakfast service! This property is very well maintained. I loved the private feel it had, away from major streets. Every staff person we encountered were extremely helpful. Special thanks to Ciryana. We enjoyed the pool and all other facilities at this hotel. Overall, everything about our stay was wonderful!

Great service, great location. Wifi can be a little better, but overall great Hotel to stay while visiting Ruidoso. Great location for horse racing and casino. Will definitely stay here again when visiting.

Many Best Western's across the country are 'average', at best; however, Best Western Pine Springs was a nice surprise. This hotel is not new; however, clear that money has been spent to refurbish certain elements and that they are trying very hard to raise their game. Everything was functional, clean and in good working order. The standout at this hotel is very pretty grounds (on edge of town), and universally good staff. From the front desk to housekeeping to staff in the breakfast room - all were above average in helpful attitude. When you are paying less than $100/night, you have to have reasonable expectations - we found this particular Best Western to exceed those expectations both for the rooms and the staff.

we had a great weekend with friends, went to the casino at the travel center and inn of the mountain gods, and some other stops. The staff at the best western pine springs was great the breakfast was very good also. the only problem we had, the carpet in the room was dirty and need to be cleaned, Do not walk around bare foot.

Clean, not new but nice rooms. Peaceful surroundings, in a wooded area. Even had a few dear visit. Nice grassy courtyard with outdoor tables and chairs. Continental was good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice location. Quiet and restful atmosphere. Great breakfast. Not much more to say. It's a motel with a great location. Facilities were average to good. Expensive for weekends because of semi-resort town location with casino and race track across the street. An excellent value for mid-week stays, however.

I have previously been a fan of several of the best western lodging facilities, but I was aghast by the way the hotel management (particularly Holly and Rose) at the 2 Ruidoso locations treats its employees. I have personally witnessed several of the summertime foreign college students be lied to, insulted and humiliated, deprived of lunch breaks while working 8-11+ hour shifts, and then same management sought vengeance on the Ruidoso locals who have tried to intercede on behalf of these young adults. Apparently, this is the status quo at this facility, as there were similar complaints lodged by other foreign college students last summer. If you choose to patronize these two facilities, please be aware of the management team that you are effectively supporting. For me, this is the last hotel I would ever recommend to any friends or enemies of mine. Should offer the option of zero stars!

Pros: The location is perfect, the view from the heated pool is stunning; beds are comfy, the bathroom is clean. It is quiet and lovely. CONS:we had to change our room as it had a terrible, chocking cigarette stink. When I wanted to open the window I found a spider web in the window-frame.BTW there are no bugs screens(!). The breakfast is not the strong side either, basic essential. However, all negative features are compensated by the very friendly staff; our rooms were changed with no hassle.

We rented a cabin in which we were conned!! Cabin was HORRIBLE!! At 1st we weren't happy that we had no choice to stay at a hotel. In all honesty it couldn't have worked out any better!! Loved the fact that we were still able to BBQ Thanks BW Beautiful view! Awesome caring staff, very clean!!

This is the place to stay in Ruidoso. The hotel is a 5 star hotel to us. All of the staff go way out of thier way to make sure that your stay with them is comfortable and enjoyable. I Highly Recomind staying here .

Lights are on the whole night. The explanation was they're security lights and can't be turned off. The were on our room balcony. The balcony door was stuck. The sofa bed was literally broken. The room had a weird smell. I had to literally kick thE door open. The door stuck. The room had a weird smell. We asked for towels and they never came.

Great location good food but hot tub is hot but no circulation or bubbles for years now. You would think a big chain like this would take care of this problem by now. We love the courtyard and feeling of seclusion by the pool.

This hotel was wonderful. Great staff, grounds were kept very clean. The internet was a little slow but when your on vacation who needs the internet. But all in all it was excellent. Would definitely recommend to others.

Our HOG group spent one night at the Pine Springs Inn. The service was excellent. The gathering space outside was great. We ordered pizza and they let us use the breakfast room for dinner - just asked us to be sure it was clean and in order when we left. Nice place and friendly staff!

We liked the size of the room and the view of the courtyard from our room window. The breakfast had a very good choice of food and loved the waffles. Didn't think the eggs were very good, but everything else was great. Was able to check in right when we got there with early bird checkin. Very pleasant place to stay.

The hotel is over priced. My wife and I have traveled across the country twice a year for 15 years. There is an expectation of the value for various price ranges. This room was clean and comfortable. However, it is not a $100 room. Noisy stairs and creaky walkways as well as a limited breakfast offering are characteristic of a lower priced hotel.

This hotel was a dream come true. After spending three weeks on military training at Ft. Bliss's McGregor Base Camp, this hotel was the perfect remedy for relaxing in the forest, swimming in a perfectly heated pool surrounded by trees, birds, sunshine, peace, quiet, and mountain views, along with a great rate and the ability to stay only one night, which none of the cabins in Ruidoso allow. If ever in the area again, we would definitely choose this hotel and location again. There's also a grill for families/groups that want to grill outdoors. No highway noise, but still close to everything. Cyriana was also a gracious concierge despite her being a bit under the weather. The only thing broken was the ice machine, but the fridge in the room was cold enough to preserve our food. Also, since it was chilly outside, they didn't think people would be swimming, so there weren't any towels poolside, but the room had just the right amount of towels.

The hotel is set back in a secluded area away from the main road, which was great! Very quiet. The staff is very helpful and the breakfast was decent. We had enough to eat for breakfast that we usually didn't eat lunch and just had an early dinner. We will definitely stay here anytime we come to Ruidoso Downs!

I was graciously greeted and checked into our room by Max. Very friendly host. He called our room to make sure we found everything in order. The room was very nice, clean and the hotel setting is beautiful. The wife was very impressed with our location after driving much of the day Amarillo to Hereford, TX to Fr Sumner and then down to Roswell. Ruidoso was like hitting a true oasis. Thanks BW and staff for making our trip finish like a winner!

Personnel and hotel were top notch. We always stay there when in Rudioso. The most unbelievable place, it's like you're alone in the mountains., and yet only a 2 minute drive to shopping, the race track, a few museums.

we liked the location of the motel, also rooms were clean and ready upon arrival. location to hotel may be hidden but is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. breakfast and coffee was good. we really enjoyed the stay.

Excellent and beautiful hotel will definitely be going back!! Front desk did an amazing job and did not show frustration at all even though there was a line waiting to check in she did awesome and was very professioinal.

Spent the night, King Bed, very clean. Room faced the courtyard. Very quiet and peaceful. Friendly staff and great breakfast!! In fact, it's about the best breakfast we've had while traveling! Driveway is a little hard to find but well worth watching for! Didn't get to use the pool but seen others enjoying themselves!

The rooms are large and well taken care of. The grounds are beautiful. Lots of picnic tables under the pine trees. Very relaxing. Great front desk, especially Cyrianna. Pet friendly as well!! The folks upstairs brought their pet elephant, but otherwise everything was perfect.

We go to Ruidoso New Mexico once a month, we go to see Kevin Allen at his office living energies, for treatments, so we found this best western hotel, it's on our way, the air in the morning smells so fresh and clean, the staff are unlike any we have ever met, most of the staff from other hotels you can tell force friendliness, and I know sometimes with what goes on outside of work can put real pressure on you, and I understand that, but you can usually tell in a hurry whether they're struggling or just plain lazy, but the staff here have a way of making you feel like family, to us anyway, thank you for that?

First time to Ruidoso and actually enjoyed this Hotel. Staff was friendly. Nice place to stay with breakfast included. Wifi was working. They have a outdoor fireplace that we actually got to use one of the nights we stayed and roasted marshmallows with the kids.

My family and I took our winter vacation in Ruidoso, New Mexico. We had stayed at this Best Western hotel back in 2010 and had a pleasant experience so we decided to return to stay for 3 more nights. The experience once again was welcoming and warm as Holly was very attentive to our arrival and took just a couple of minutes to get us in. The rooms were nice and comfortable as well as clean and warm. Although the flooring could be a little quieter, we had no problem sleeping through the evening to prepare us for our next day's activities. This hotel has one of the nicest scenic views and is close to where we want to visit. Breakfast is filling with warm food and fruits to choose from with good taste. We will recommend anyone looking to visit Ruidoso to look up Best Western Pine Springs at Ruidoso Downs for a restful evening.

Way over priced. It's worth about $90-100 a night. Not the $200 I paid nightly. The wifi was nonexistent and cell phone service up there is terrible, wifi is crucial. We couldn't send vacation pics back home. I signed a paper opting out of housekeeping, and they still entered my room.

Walls are very thin, you can hear all noises, the hotel itself is very secluded on a hill. Rooms were large and clean but very outdated. Stayed because it was the only room we could find but it was way overpriced. Will look elsewhere next trip.

We stayed several days over Christmas. As before staff was super friendly and professional. Again was impressed by level of customer service training. Syriana especially impressed me while watching her check in a large group. before us. The hotel itself is an older design that has a pretty wooded courtyard and is set off from the highway making it more quit and cozy. Breakfast is typical but maintained well by pleasant staff. Housekeeping seemed to be working extra late on Christmas to accommodate checkins and still seemed happy and in good spirits. Rooms are comfortable roomy and clean. Ours did not have completed improvements but hotel is upgrading. This remains our go to hotel in Ruodoso.

The best western pine springs in ruidoso is a cute little hotel nestled in the pines. Very secluded but close to whatever you need! Glad we picked this hotel! The staff was great. Beds could be more comfy but nonetheless we loved our stay.

The renovations done at this BW are very nice and much better than the last time I stayed at this BW. The sign in service was excellent and breakfast had a very good verity of products to choose from. Grounds were very well kept and it was a pleasure to stay.

Difficult adjusting heating. Couldn't get it to a comfortable setting in that it was either too hot or no heat and couldn't get something in-between. It's also not a thermostat controlled unit so it's either running or not. Seems floors between 1st and 2nd floor must be wood framed versus cement as people above me came in at approx. 3:30am and every step they took, including creaking floor, could be heard and voices could be heard (normal talking) though not understood indicating to me their isn't something solid between the floors and certainly no sound deadening. This went on for about 40 minutes and I was very surprised by this, especially since it wasn't people raising their voices or running/jumping in the room.

Stayed at this hotel because most of the cabins in the area were booked but turned out to be a great place to stay. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was friendly. Pet friendly too. The wooded scenery was awesome. Definitely returning.

Cependant le personnel a immédiatement et très aimablement résolu ces problèmes. Hotel located in the forest, far from road traffic. Very spacious room, very comfortable and well equipped. Charming and welcoming staff. Excellent value for money, rich buffet breakfast included. Just a bad thing: difficulty getting the WiFi connection and card lock that did not work. However the staff immediately and very kindly solved these problems. The picture does not reflect the real environment, much more pleasant

The breakfasts are excellent, some of the best in our motel travels. But, if they're full, it's noisy. If noise is an issue with you, ask for an "inner" 2nd floor room. By "inner, I mean in the center area overlooking the beautifully landscaped grounds, not facing any parking. There are good places for walking your dog too. What's more, coffee and cookies are available in the office. I would have rated it a 4-star, if it weren't for the noise.

Recently updated facility. Clean. Secluded. Only problems were tons of flys, stairways are very steep, No internet first two nights and walls were paper thin. Will probably stay there again if nothing else is available.

Thank you all at Pine Springs for another wonderful stay! The room was wonderful, the bed was very comfortable, plenty of pillows and the room was nicely appointed. Could not ask for more. The staff is a 10+.

Directly across from the Horse Race Track. You could easily walk there if you wanted to but you would have to cross the highway. Which at the time had very little traffic. Hotel staff very friendly and always asking if there was something we needed. Has a heated pool and small hot pool outside. We did not use. Good hot breakfast. Nice outdoor but inside rather basic and one complaint I have is that the water pressure was very low and hard to adjust from hot to cold. The sink also had a broken handle fixture on it. OH, and the A/C was not that cold. But overall when you compare prices it was decent and we enjoyed our stay.

Staff was friendly and caring. Great access to town. Location was off the main highway. The grounds were clean and relaxing. Rooms were newly renovated. Employees were friendly and eager to make our stay comfortable. Had our small dog with us and she was well received.

Wife and I have stayed here every October for 5 years and this year was perfect including the incredible breakfast! Staff is always the best with super clean rooms as is whole motel! We have never stay anywhere as perfect.

Checking out the south east area of New Mexico we decided to see what Ruidoso had to offer. While there we stayed at this BW local. Really liked the fact that it was off the road and extremely quiet, with lots of manicured landscaping and even some great wooded areas to walk my dog. The staff was very welcoming and engaging. Good options for the full breakfast and well presented. Nice experience.

I was very pleased with the friendly staff, the grounds, and our room. Pool and hot tub are located outside as is the breakfast dining area. Beautiful courtyard. Pool was warm but hot tub was cold and they immediately had someone working on it but it never warmed up in time. Very nice breakfast provided.

Clean/Cozy nestled up the mountain! Good breakfast! Poor internet connection! Walmart is walking distance or casino for FUN is across the street. Your pet are welcomed here and at $10 daily rate. Your best bet when traveling with FIDO.

Very secluded off highway. Quiet and cozy. Remodeling in progress. New carpeting being installed. Have oversized rooms for comfort and nice beds. Would recommend the toilets be changed out I think they are for handicapped people very small and low to ground. Other than the toilets its a nice quiet place to stay.

The Best Western in Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico, is one of the best I have stayed in. The hotel was beautifully landscaped with little bridges along the walkway in the courtyard. The hotel is on the hillside nestled among trees and away from the highway. There were wood carved tables and chairs in the front lawn under trees as well as an outdoor fireplace, and a couple of small totem-pole like statues in the front, giving the place a rustic feeling. My room was comfortable and clean, but the top drawer of the dresser kept opening and wouldn't stay closed. Stayed for 3 nights and only drawback was one washer and dryer that would accept the quarters and had to have an attendant come in to open the box to start it. As a side note, the hotel was across the road from the Billy the Kid Casino, but you could not hear road noise as the hotel was up the hillside. I would definitely stay here again.

I used TripAdvisor to help pick this hotel. The traveler photos were very helpful in making my decision. This hotel sits on a hill above the race track and is close to the Walmart next door although separated by woods so you do not see either from the hotel. This hotel has exterior doors and is two story. There is no elevator and you must climb stairs if you have an upper floor room. Check in was easy and pleasant. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. The hotel has a courtyard with trees and is a nice place to sit and reflect. In front of the hotel is also a large area with benches or seats and a nice place to stroll and look for birds. While we were there in early October, the area was quiet and relaxing. Our room was a second floor king suite which overlooked the pool and had a view of the area across the highway. Wi-Fi was very good during our stay. The TV had a variety of channels. This hotel has a separate vanity from the tub and toilet which makes getting dressed in the morning better for us. There was a microwave and refrig in the room. In the evenings, coffee and cookies are available at the front desk which is a nice treat. Breakfast was from 6:30 to 9:30 as I recall. Breakfast is the usual fare with make your own waffle, biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, pastries and some fruit in the form of apples and oranges. Coffee, regular and decaf along with juices. The lady that handles the breakfast area is pleasant and helpful. Parking is adequate for this property. We had no major issues with the room. We noted a couple of maintenance items which the staff noted to handle after our departure. The bedding was very good although the pillows were a little firm for my taste. All in all, this turned out to be a good choice for us and I look forward to returning. I would suggest becoming a BW member as points toward another stay accrue with each visit.

We were placed in an area that was being recarpeted and had to walk through the debris and nails to get to our room. Plus there was a gas/propane leak on the same end of the hotel. We were told we couldn't move to a different area because we didn't request a specific area when we booked and they would call about the leak. Nothing happened because we could smell it the two days we were there. While the clerks were friendly, the manager made no attempt to meet with us when we checked out. Be cautious if you want to stay here. If anything goes wrong, she will stay hidden in her office.

Quick trip with the dog, which this hotel was great for. Beautiful grounds, lots of green for your pup to walk around (must be on a leash), complimentary dog biscuits and breakfast (standard eggs, sausage, waffle maker, yogurts, fruit) Rooms aren't new but seem to have been updated, they're spacious and clean. Mountain Inn Casino is about 15 minutes down the road with lots of things in between. Would recommend for travelers with dogs, however there is a $10 fee per night for your pet. Staff is friendly, this hotel is tucked away on a hill giving it privacy from the main road.

Very quiet "woodsy" experience just above the Ruidoso Downs racetrack. The courtyard was very green and scenic. The rooms were spacious and a good value for the price. Good cable TV with free HBO and Cinemax. I did have some problems connecting to the internet. It would take 3-5 minutes on occasion to get linked into the wifi. I had a laptop, so maybe that was part of the problem? The free breakfast offered the usual stuff and was in a spacious dining room with TV. Very helpful hostess at the breakfast. I would reccomment this hotel for visitors. A pretty good value.

Had a great stay at this Best Western! Check in process was quick, professional and friendly! Room was very comfortable The breakfast area is clean and large with plenty of sitting. Food was great. We will stay here again in the future!

Went with my 89 year old mother to Ruidoso and she and I enjoyed our Stay. The cleanliness of the rooms are excellent. Spent time in the court yard relaxing. The staff is very friendly and we will definitely go back for our future trips to Ruidoso!

This hotel had no fancy bells and whistles, but it was very clean, the staff very nice and efficient, breakfast good. nestled in the trees, it was quiet. this is an older motel, but very well maintained.

I was very happy with my stay. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable and hotel was off main road and very quite. The hotel is across Hwy 70 from the racetrack. The little park they have out front has seating areas in the trees and was well maintained. Overall Very Satisfied.

wonderful ~ we had such relaxing days~plus eating the breakfast food. The place is so beautiful and clean. The room was so clean and had all that we needed. What more can I say! This hotel sits atop a knoll surrounded by pine trees providing a resort feel. The staff is extremely friendly and the breakfast supurb! The rooms are large and new. Right across the street from the horse race track but secluded enough the you wouldn't know it's there. Great pool too. I'm coming back!!!

Booked this hotel on line and had no idea what to expect. What a pleasant surprise when checking in and was served by such a professional and polite staff. Hotel had been refurbished and offered clean, comfortable and well appointed rooms. WiFi worked great and the breakfast was fine.

Staff was hospitable, extremely nice at check in and check out was extremely convenient. Hotel is older, but has been updated. Loved the location, secluded and quiet. Rooms are large and were clean. Adequate parking.

I had booked this hotel a little over a month ago, because my boyfriend and I had a wedding right down the street. We had gotten a "discount" which still ended up being $157, while price advertised online wish $89. We had originally requested early check-in, due to the fact that the wedding was at 4. We were told this couldn't be guaranteed, which was understandable, but we arrived and were told that we couldn't check in until 4, which was when the wedding started. We couldn't get into our room until 2:30, which considering is pretty late for check-in. The room was nice, but not worth the price. The hot tub was also out of order. I had been told there would be a holding fee placed on my card, but wasn't aware it would be an additional hold of $187 in addition to the charge for the room already, adding up to double the cost double the original cost of the room itself. I understand the hold charge, but the hold wasn't removed for 4 days. All together it was inconvenient, and I don't plan to stay here again, nor would I suggest it.

The Best Western Pine Springs has become our home away from home in Ruidoso, NM, especially due to the pet friendly policy. It is tucked up on a hill surrounded by pine covered slopes and has a charming central courtyard area. The complimentary breakfast is efficiently handled by Maricella and in a separate building across the courtyard, so as not to disturb those who prefer not to partake. We met a lovely, helpful young woman named Cassandra from Jamaica who graciously retrieved extra towels and coffee, since we decline room service due to our pet in the room. The rooms have free wi-if, refrigerator, cable TV, and microwave. For those interested there is a pool and covered cookout area. We consider it a hidden gem of Ruidoso ambiance!

Very clean hotel and the breakfast was extremely good, never ran out of items. An additional waffle machine would help with waiting in line. Adding an additional ice machine at another location would also help.

Situated inside a forest area, great views, excellent facilities, and at the same time very close to the main Ruidoso attractions (across the street from the horse track). Perfect for a weekend getaway. Heated outdoor pool was a plus.

When in Ruidoso, NM we like staying at this BW because of the relaxing atmosphere and resort like at a fraction of the cost. Always clean and the staff is always pleasant. Sitting is up the mountain above the hi-way with no other industry or roads in view. Excellent value.

The first room we were assigned had nauseating sewer gas coming from the sink drain and the mattress needed to be thrown in the dumpster. Other guests reported the sewer gas odor as well. We were assigned another room for the remainder of our stay. Even though we requested non-smoking when we made the reservation, the woman at the front desk put us in a smoking room (knowingly). We did not realize that until we saw our bill. The tub faucet was plumbed backwards and the water pressure was slow in the second room. The carpet in the second room was in desperate need of cleaning and the curtains and bedding needed replacing. Updating has been done on the exterior grounds, but I think they have forgotten the interior altogether. The facility needs to become NO-SMOKING in my opinion. The manager was very defensive when we approached her about the problems we had during our stay. She did not seem the least bit concerned about how we were affected as guests. We stayed at this motel 2 years ago and thought we would stay again on this trip; however, we won't make the mistake of ever staying at this motel again. The quality of this motel is getting worse instead of getting better.

Location is pretty, staff is friendly, room 252 upstairs with a courtyard view was very nice, low low low water pressure in the shower and carpet a bit worn, however was breakfast outstanding.....the town of Ruidoso however closes up by 5 pm....totally geared towards retirees.

We had a great stay at the Best Western Pine Springs Inn. We arrived an hour early and was not able to check-in. There is a lovely area in front of the hotel with shade where we could sit and wait. We did go into the office and got a annoyed reply when I mentioned we have a booking and I called regarding earlier check-in. I was still talking and requesting access to a bathroom when I was cut off to hear that the room is not available yet at 3:30pm. I told the lady that I am aware of that and that my children just need a bathroom to use. We went back to the front office around 4:05pm and the agent contacted housekeeping to find out if the room is ready. We got checked in around 4:15pm. There was only 2 towels in a King suite and no bedding for the sleeper sofa, but I was able to get some from the front office after a 20-min wait. Breakfast was good, although I would suggest alternating meats. We had the same meat (sausage) for our 5-night stay. The heated pool was great. Hot tub did not work. There was only pool towels set out at the pool on our first morning. The rest of the time we had to request pool towels from the front office. Most staff were friendly, housekeeping spoke limited English. Great location, right across from the race tracks. Quiet and nice sitting areas in the garden. Pet friendly. I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed there for 5 days, the help was refreshing, nothing like tx. People were so friendly, the grounds were kept excellent. I really enjoyed breakfast every day, didn't really help my diet, but was sure good. I like the location of the Inn, just all really nice.

Good location-not too far from everything. Takes no more than 10 minutes to get to any attraction. Beautifully nestled into a hill making the scenery nice. Wal-Mart is conveniently located next door (not seen from the hotel, though). The staff was super nice & friendly & very accommodating most of the time. The only issue with service we had was when we visited the pool & there were no pool towels available. Actually both times we visited the pool there were no pool towels available. The 1st time we notified staff they delivered some promptly. The 2nd time no one came. My husband had to go to the office to grab some. The breakfast staff is the best, though. Very attentive & kept things running so smoothly. They kept everything well stocked & fresh. They were awesome! The food selection is great & we left for our day full. The room itself was nice & not too dated. The carpet was visibly dirty, though, with several spots on the carpet. I understand they are pet friendly but the stains were a bit much. We made a point to not walk barefoot in the room. There were also various insects coming out of the sink drain. The first time we tried to flush the toilet it clogged. We called the front desk & the young lady quickly brought us a plunger. I only had to use it once after we learned the trick to flushing the toliet but I did hear another guest in the lobby complaining about the same thing in her room, as well. Maybe there's a plumbing issue that needs to be addressed. Other than that, every thing was fairly comfortable. The bed was very clean & comfortable. I make a point to check beds when I arrive & both were spotless. Honestly, despite the carpet & plumbing issue the room was comfortable. The fridge & microwave were both clean & roomy. The cooling unit worked well, too. Our housekeeping staff member Cassandra was awesome! We had a little mess the first night & she took great care to clean up after us beautifully without disturbing our personal belongings. I was very grateful & it was nice coming in after a busy day to a cleaned room. The exterior of the hotel is well kept & the courtyard is beautiful. My kids loves just playing outside while we walked the dog. Sitting out in the morning is very peaceful out there. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much. The quality for the price was a great value & we do recommend it & will be back ourselves in the near future.

Perfect location across from horse race track & casino. Short drive into the center of town. The staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. Quite location & beautiful courtyard where you can enjoy your breakfast outside at picnic tables.

Just across from the race track, nestled in pines on a quiet hill, Pine Springs Best Western is a good location to stay if you want quick access to attractions without the noise. The cooler nights allow for some relaxing time in the courtyard or by the pool.

The location is excellent!! Tucked back in the trees, you would not know that you are just off the main highway. Always quiet and so relaxing! The staff is very friendly and courteous. Breakfast is great! Stay here annually and always look forward to it!

Best Western Pine Springs is a Fabulous place to stay. The staff are really Great, Friendly and go out of thier way to make our stay Faboulous and Comfortable. I Highly recomend staying here. We will be staying here everytime that we visit Ruidoso.

first thing to notice is the property is not near the highway. has a log cabin feel to it after driving up into the mountains. property is clean, staff is courteous and professional. had a noise issue with the room next door and the front desk addressed that immediately. breakfast was simple but good. overall a very good stay with no issues.

This was a very good hotel out of the way of people and kind of a get away from the crowds. Close to everything and very cozy. Very refreshing with a walk through the trees and was pleasant. Would recommend to anyone who wants a little alone time in the evenings from the crowds.

I would highly recommend this place to go to to just relax if you like going to the casino this is a very beautiful place good employees great manager everything you can ask for is right there Planning on making this trip again next year

Outside pretty! Bugs in room kids upstairs sounded like they were gonna fall in on us never were quite!! Room dirty they just fixed beds on second day did not clean or vacuum!! No towels on second day and room smells had to buy spray for room was horrible and never offered a discount or apology oh and door handle would not work had to fight every time to get in room

Rooms were nice room service needed an improvement beds were not made, beds were not changed, call front desk to get towel to shower .checked in at 4:39 Friday checked out Sunday at 11: 00 am. Water pressure was low in bath room.

Excellent place to stay. Rooms clean, friendly staff, and beautiful grounds in which to enjoy the cool weather. Nice amenities such as a nice pool, area for picnics, places to sit amongst the pine trees, excellent breakfast and many other amenities such as discounts etc. per visitors needs.

My family and I stayed there in Ruidoso, New Mexico and the Staff and Hotel are wonderful , we had a wonderful time this week there. The Staff work hard and do a wonderful job everyday from the breakfast to preparing the rooms. Can not say enough about the staff and hotel, highly recommend staying there ! Crenshaw family

This is a smallish hotel virtually plopped down in the forest, with nothing else in sight. The green grassy courtyard surrounded by lots of open space and evergreens was lovely, the scent of pine trees wonderful. That and the warm temp of the pool water were our favorite things, along with a nice breakfast 'buffet'. They even have slices of American cheese in the fridge if you want to make your own breakfast sandwich (plus a waffle maker, always a favorite of mine). Not much in the way of fruit, but good sausage and the other usuals were in abundance, along with some pretty decent coffee. We discovered this place because it's the closest to the casino and race track, but we plan to be back because it's so refreshing to find a hotel that is not all concrete and asphalt surrounding the buildings. We didn't like the fact that the spa jets didn't work and it really needed skimming to clean out the overnight bugs and pine needles. Also the beds were truly too hard for both of us. That ALMOST made me give 3 stars instead of 4, but for the price we paid (this trip at least) of $64/night + tax, I just couldn't knock it down to average. Honestly, though, I don't think I could sleep in these beds for more than a couple of nights--but not everyone minds a very firm bed. Oh yes, I should mention that the rooms were spacious compared to a lot of the newer hotels these days. And every employee we encountered was professional, friendly and helpful. On the negative side--the TV was on the smallish side for the size of the room, and in the room, there was only ONE bar of soap to share between sink and bathtub. If you're looking for luxury, this is an older place that won't give you that feeling; but if you love being secluded in the forest in a spacious room, this might be the place for you. Also, if you want to be close to restaurants and downtown Ruidoso, this is NOT that--we much preferred being out in the forest! Oh yes, some of the rooms are smoking, and it is a dog friendly location--neither of which mattered to us, but fyi.

While the location was in a nice area of Ruidoso Downs, the hotel was very average for the price. Attendants were polite, but the facility itself was very average and the breakfast was nothing special. Could have found the same quality room and breakfast at a much cheaper location.

I have found my place to stay in Ruidoso N.M. The courtyard is so peaceful and quiet and the scenery is just beautiful . The staff is friendly and helpful , when we arrived our rooms were separated and I needed them right next door to each other on account my daughter is handicapped .They worked things out and got it done . The rooms are clean and spacious . Maricela had breakfast ready and she kept it clean . I will definitely be going back .

My stay here at pine springs inn was an absolute beautiful experience. The housekeeper CASSANDRA was very sociable and extremely efficient. She is such a beautiful character. Happy that she served me.

Beautiful and private area. This hotel is isolated in the mountains. Friendly staff. The only issue is that I requested a wake -up call and it never occurred. Extraordinary view from the pool. The hot tub did not work. Lawn well kept.

My husband and I have stayed at the Pine Springs for years. We love it! This trip I lost a ring of great sentimental value. I told Cassandra our housekeeper and she found my ring in the trash. She is my hero. Cassandra I can not thank you enough.

I went her to site seeing and to relax. The Best Western was located back from the main roadway making it secluded and quiet. The staff was friendly (would say hello when they saw the guest). I saw one staff member assist a handicap person (awesome). The only negative I would give - the carpet needs replacing.

The setting is beautiful and the hotel is pet friendly which is an absolute requirement for us. The room was very nice and the hotel staff were wonderful. Slight problems with power source for microwave and water pressure. We wanted to pay bills on a secure Internet and went to the office but their guest computer did not even work. The bed was very comfortable but I had to purchase a pillow from Walmart because the pillows provided were hard.

Overall a great place to stay. Being pet friendly is a major plus for us. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The breakfast is great! The rooms were clean, but carpet was stained. Our only complaint is that there should of been more than one ice machine. Not enough considering over 200 rooms!

i can start by saying that this hotel was really good for the price range in my personal opinion, there was free breakfast and the rooms were nice and clean good choice if you ever need to stay in Ruidoso.

This Best Western is conveniently located off the highway on a nicely landscaped wooded property. We enjoyed the large room, flat screen TV, and excellent breakfast. The motel has a heated outdoor pool. I rate this Best Western as a very good value.

The hotel grounds are beautiful - lots of well-maintained lawn and trees. The Hotel Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to welcome pets, including a doggie treat at check-in. Fresh-baked cookies. The hotel is old, but it has been well maintained and is clean. No road noise, because the hotel is roughly a mile south of the highway, in the woods.

The staff was very helpful over the phone when I called 3 times to get information and to make reservations. When we got there she was very nice even though it was late. After we checked in, got to our room and unpacked our truck the phone rang and it was the front desk just checking to make sure our room was to our standards. The next morning we used the guest laundry room and had a little trouble with the washer, but a lady that I believe was in the housekeeping crew helped us out and then with the dryer too. The whole experience was great. We will be staying here next trip also.

It is a very nice hotel. Our room had a view of the mountain trees. It was really clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk helped us sign up for easy rewards and for express checkout. Would totally stay there again.

Despite being over booked, the staff worked to make sure we had a room and upgraded us. Even though it was a smoking room because it was the only one they could give us for our reservation, they sprayed the room and the smell was almost non existent. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was good, fresh, and hot. For the price, definitely will be back.

My brother and I stayed at this hotel for one night as we were in town for a day of skiing. The room was large and great. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and the place itself was nestled in the forest with nothing else next to it. The free breakfast was great and I will definitely stay here ever time I go skiing in Ruidoso. The price was great as well being that it was on a Monday and not their peak season

Very nice hotel. Clean and quiet. We just slept poorly because the bed was extremely firm. I had to lay on top of the pillows to get any rest. It was also very tricky to get the shower temperature right. The faucet needs to be replaced.

All the employees were wonderful and made us feel very welcomed. It is a great place to stay. We loved the grounds surrounding the hotel. The room was clean and very big. We had a view of the mountains behind the hotel. Can't wait to stay here again.

Okay so here is my review I tried to read all the reviews I could both positive and negative. Let's start with negative. We checked into hotel room and at first everything was fine until we saw flies all in our room. And then later on that night there were spiders everywhere no lie. So we asked to switch rooms but to our avail there were spider in the bathroom. Okay now the good breakfast was good for the kids. Me myself don't like carton eggs so I didn't eat the breakfast all the beverages were fine. The property is in a nice secluded area. Pool was closed due to it being too cold. I probably wouldn't recommend myself. But better than most options in ruidoso.

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and have always had a good experience. This time the internet kept dropping so I asked them if they had a problem and they said that the hotel was full and there were too many users on at one time. Later in the evening it was better. Other than this and a missing telephone cord our stay was very pleasant.

Check to make sure you want a smoking type room before booking. It should default to non-smoking instead of the other way around. With everyone being more health aware, having to pay more for a non-smoking room is not with the times.

This hotel is in the mountains across the street from Billy the Kid casino and Ruidoso Downs racetrack. It is surrounded by tall pine trees, and is beautifully landscaped! The rooms are quite spacious and very clean. When we pulled up to our room there was a big elk that went into the woods from the parking lot! The grounds are well kept and clean. Holly, the manager, is very kind, friendly, out going, and will see to it you have a wonderful stay!

Holly and her entire team go above and beyond...every time. This is our third (ski) season and we make trips to Ruidoso 1-2 times a month during the winter. They remember us and make us feel at home, while continuing to be courteous and professional. Breakfast is early and a great start to the ski day.

Our stay at Best Western was very enjoyable.Nestled in a pretty wooded area at the top of a hill in Ruidoso Downs, N.M..It was across the road from a fun casino/race track and many other close by activities and restaurants and southwestern shops.The climate was ideal and the weather perfect. All in all it was a very enjoyable trip.

The 686th AC&W SQ (Air Force). Held two reunions at this facility (2006&2016) We were treated so well at the 2006 reunion until we just had to return. We usually hold our reunions in a different State each year but,we voted to return to New Mexico and Ruidoso because of the fine services and friendly staff members.

1st night we awoke in extreme pain from from too soft mattress and was replaced fast so other 3 nights were restful and fantastic! Breakfast was perfect and both made our stay incredible add in super friendly service we booked 1 year in advance for next year!

I didn't expect what I saw......a large, well decorated and exceptionally clean hotel and room. All the staff went out of their way to ask if they could help in any way and if our stay was to our liking. We will definitely be back.

This was my second time traveling to Ruidoso, NM for work. Without a hesitation, I headed to the Best Western Pine Springs for my stay. I stayed at this hotel a little under a year ago, and was really impressed, not only with the location manager Holly, but how attentive the housekeeping staff is as well. Once again, the grounds were manicured very well, and the room was clean. I definitely would stay here again, if I find myself in the area.

We normally stay at the other BW when visiting Ruidoso but decided to try this one because the rates were a little better. We were very please. It is built back off the road in the trees and has a more mountain feel to is. It was clean and quiet and if you are only using it to get sleep at night what more do you need. The breakfast was very good. We are returning this weekend with another couple and we are both staying here. My new favorite in Ruidoso.

friendly folks and very nice Hotel to stay for Business or pleasure. Dog friendly and that is a must for us. Rooms were big and easy to put the Dog Crate and not be uncomfortable. Very quite place to stay and relax.

Really beautiful area and a nice location. Room was average but smelled smoky and musty (non-smoking room). No screens on the windows so airing it out was not an option. Directly across from the casino and track. Could be why several vehicles were broken into overnight.

The hotel was very pretty, with lots of outdoor charm. Tons of trees and places to sit and relax in the shade. Room was very clean and beds very comfortable. Our only complaint was poor lighting and lack of electric plugs for our electronics.

There is no better place in my opinion for a weekend unwind/relax the this paradise in the tall pines. I've been here many times and would never consider another palace in Ruidoso. they are pet friendly and will bend over backwards to make your stay memorable. Try it and enjoy!

So, you're going to Ruidoso to enjoy the mountains and forest? Then the BW Pine Springs Inn is a really great choice for your overnight lodging. Its forested, hillside setting sets this motel apart from most other choices in the area. Plus, the motel itself is very nice. The BW Pine Springs Inn is in a great location. It's just across the highway from the popular Ruidoso Downs horseracing track and a casino, but it's also isolated from both because it's on a hillside and surrounded by a pine forest. Altogether, it's the perfect vacation combination: You're very close to some major tourist attractions but you'll also feel like you're somewhere far away in the woods. The motel itself is above-average for a conventional motel. It has two main buildings in a V-shaped arrangement. A small outdoor pool and hot tub can be found on the north side of the property. About half of the rooms face the perimeter parking lots, but the others open to a very nicely landscaped courtyard. Inside, my room was unusually large, spotlessly-clean, and newly & nicely re-decorated. Everything worked. The desk clerks were very friendly at both check-in and check-out. I even got a phone call shortly after check-in just to make sure I was happy with my accommodations … and, yes, I was definitely pleased. Do know that this is a basic, limited-service motel and not a resort. They do serve breakfast there, but that's about it. You'll need to get in the car for dinner, etc. but the Ruidoso area has a lot a wonderful options for all of the many tourists who visit there throughout the year.

After a 10 hr drive, I arrived to find my reservation was not for the room location confirmed. I had reserved 3 nights, and was told they could move me the next morning, but because that would be a weekend (as my stay already was, plus a day), it would cost extra. I said not to bother, unloaded the car and went to diner. When I returned, I found the toilet would not flush properly. I called to report it not working, but during the 10 mins it required for someone to come up, I found the problem was that it took 2 to 3 minutes for the tank to fill. I then checked the bath/shower and found it produced no more that a small trickle. The on-duty manager said their maintenance man was gone for the day (it was 8PM), but agreed to call someone out. Sometime later she called back to say her manager said that since the problem was low water pressure it could wait till morning. I said the problem was not low water pressure, but that after a 10 hour drive and a 1 hour hike in the middle, and after paying $126 for a room, I wanted a shower and a toilet that flushed. She said she could do no more, and left. Later I called down and asked if there was another room available, and was told yes. Sometime after 10 I moved myself to that room (which had a slow draining sink); and checked out the next morning (that person was good)..

My family and I have always stayed at the Best western and have always enjoyed it. It is clean, friendly and just a beautiful place to stay at. The breakfast is ok but it is close by other restaurants and the location is perfect for shopping.

The structures are too old to have just one maintenance man. Due to items not working properly, (door, toilet, frig, bath heat lamp); we had to move to another room at 2am. The second room's door was so bad, I had to lunge against it to open it, even after the maint man worked on it three times. The poor guy is just overwhelmed with work there.

was a nice place to stay with pool and hang out area outside with lots of shade. full breakfast was good. has low water pressure. beds are good and the room was a lot bigger with lots of space compared to your a regular room. clean room and staff is very friendly. I would stay here again

This secluded hotel is excellent if you want to relax. The courtyard is very inviting especially in the evening. The hotel staff was top notch! Breakfast was good and hit every morning. I'd stay there again! The hotel is conveniently located on a major thoroughfare so getting around town makes it easy. If you are there for gambling or the horse races, no problem. The hotel is located right across the highway.

We were traveling through Ruidoso with our Golden Retriever and stayed here. It is a very nice place up in the pines well off the road on a hill across from the Race Track. The people were very nice and gave our Bella several treats. Rooms were nice, clean and quiet! We highly recommend this place with or without a pet!

Excellent all-round accommodations and amenities of all ages with delightful swimming pool, breakfast area clean, wide-variety of items from which to select. cookies & coffee in front lobby all afternoon, very quiet when nearly fully booked, clean rooms have refrigerator and microwave for snacking convenience. Layout of buildings on treed lot positioned for easy access to services!

I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. First the good. You will be hard pressed to find a hotel in a more beautiful setting. It is on top of a hill surrounded by pines. The grounds are attractive and meticulously maintained. I watched the pool maintainer do a very thorough cleaning. Now the not so good. The rooms need new carpet and furniture. The room had been cleaned but the carpet and sofa were stained. The mattress was sitting on 2 x 6's The other issue is the front desk. They were polite enough but put us in the wrong room at first. It got straightened out, but it was a hassle. So if you are patient and want a room in the mountains and don't mind old furnishings, this is your place. I can't decide if I'll go back.

This hotel is awesome it's clean they have awesome rates and friendly staff.Not to mention the view of the mountains it's very beautiful u have elk and deer walk right in front of u in the morning I love it

This place is tucked away for quietness and natural beauty but is just a few minutes from the downtown activities. I have stayed at several around Ruidoso but this one tops them all!! The pool and hot tub were very clean and comfortable. The room was excellent with a very comfy bed and the peacefulness of this place is just amazing!! If you want to relax and get away but not too far away, check in!!

My husband myself and our small dog recently stayed here for 2days and it was wonderful ! The grounds are just beautiful. Beds were very comfortable and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Our stay was so pleasurable we are planning a trip back in August. You have the feel of being secluded in such a beautiful forest but you are only a minute or two away from everything. Perfect location, impeccable rooms, and very friendly staff, with a great breakfast. Only down side was the jets not working on the hot tub, but other wise, an excellent hotel. will stay again in the future

Pictures of the hotel looked great and we only use BW if they are available as our past experiences at other properties have always been stellar. I will say the staff really went out of their way to try and make our stay good but sometimes you can only do the best with you have to work with, and this might have been the case. First of all, unlike most BW's when you arrive around 2pm there usually isn't an issue with checking in, not here. We were told we couldn't check in until 4pm, not welcome news after a 200 mile drive in 90+ degree sun. The desk clerk did try to accomodate us and switched around some other reservations and found us a room. The room was on the back side of the complex close to the pool, a plus for us, but when we got there we had to wade through a corridor of room furnishings that had been taken from a multitude of hotel rooms, as though they were gutting our entire wing and upgrading. Okay once construction was done, but made us feel a bit like we were living in a construction zone. Next, when we got in our room we found the trim pealing off the walls, the toilet ,I kid you not must have been taken from a child's bathroom as it was, almost impossible for a small sized adult to sit on. And the cherry on this mud pie was that our room was covered with ants. Ant everywhere, by the door, on the walls, on the sink, on the toilet. We notified the clerk before we left for dinner and she told us she would go spray, but we still found them when we got back and so we had to spray ourselves. The whole thing just gave you the sense that things were crawling on you when you were laying in bed. Not a comforting feeling. The last thing was when we tried to use the pool. It was covered with bugs when we first saw it, then the next day before we used it their tech scooped out some of the bugs which made the pool usable. It was outdoor and I think heated because it was fun swimming in it even with a cool breeze outside. There was also a hot tub, but might as well may not have been because the jets didn't work and it was filthy. A layer of dirt on the floor of the hot tub and bugs floating everywhere. We paid $180 for our room on the Friday before the July 4th holiday weekend and all I can say is we would have done just as good at a motel 6, because at least there we would have understood that you get what you pay for, but not for what we paid, it was really quite ridiculous to have such a horrible room. The continental breakfast was good (about what you could expect). The staff does get an A+ as they really tried to do everything they could, even asked us several times about our experience but not quite sure they really could do anything more because of what they had to work with. I know holiday rates more than anything dictated prices, but it was sad to spend what we spent to get what we got. I won't be giving up on BW, but won't be staying at the truly beautiful hotel (more settings than anything) Pine Springss in Ruiodoso.

Last minute travel plans left few hotel options that allows pets. On priceline we found an express deal and took a chance. It turned out to be the best choice we could have made. Our dog was very welcome and given a gift of doggy treats at check-in. The room was big, updated and clean. The grounds are beautiful. The pool is secluded and has amazing views. Breakfast is fantastic and the lady in charge (sorry I didn't get her name) keeps everything well stocked and clean. This off the beaten path hotel is a perfect place to stay in Ruidoso.

Nice pet friendly hotel. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, very clean. Stairs need to be recovered, but all in all well maintained. Breakfast area was very clean and well staffed. The food was typical for a continental breakfast. However, there was sausage and fried eggs. An extra waffle maker would have been nice.

We have stayed at the Best Western Pine Springs many times. It has beautiful grounds and our rooms are always comfortable. The staff and personal are always polite and helpful. We had car problems and one of the staff drove my husband to get the necessary equipment to repair our vehicle. We enjoy the proximity to Ruidoso Downs Racetrack. We have also have a pet that we bring and this is one of the best pet-friendly hotels we've visited. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there in the future.

Older hotel but very well run and with beautiful grounds. The front desk is the best I have experienced and my satisfaction with the stay was very high. As a frequent traveler I am strict in my expected standards but like to acknowledge outstanding efforts.

Best Western Pine Springs is great! The staff is always hard at work and very friendly. They go out of their way to make you feel appreciated. The breakfast offered is outstanding and like no other we have experienced! The rooms are clean and maintained. The courtyard on the premises is absolutely beautiful! Very relaxing. The price is very competitive for the amenities offered. The conference room for meetings is very affordable and perfect for family reunions of 50-75 attendees. Thank you to all the staff for always making us feel welcome!

This place was ok. I was there with a group or I probably would not have stay here. Good staff and breakfast. NO WATER PRESSURE. WIfi did not work good. The place could us some updating. You can't find this place on your GPS

There ARE a couple minor issues that really don't matter to me but might matter to others. The AC unit had a bit of a 'buzz', the cable tv had a bit of a connection issue and some channels dropped in and out...and the place is not NEW....HOWEVER., this is one of the NICEST Best Westerns I have been to and I am a Diamond Rewards member and have been for 3 years. I travel a LOT for work and have found BW's to be a great value. This one is VERY well kept and the grounds are park like, it is isolated from the road noises and gives a true 'in the mountains' feel. Bravo to all who keep the place so well kept.

Stayed for a softball tournament. .staff was helpful. .. most beautiful surroundings. .. the kids enjoyed the pool. I loved the hot tub. They have barbecue grills you can use. And have great areas to get together if you are with a large group

after finding out that most of the other motels in ruidoso were non smoking we found this one to serve our gods given right to smoke if we want to. It was the best stay yet and we go to Ruidoso at least 4 times a year

We always like to stay here, very pet friendly, cool, calming property, easy in and out. Welcoming staff, great breakfast, good parking. Love the swings and furniture throughout the property. We like it's away from the city center but yet convenient to everything, restaurants, casinos, etc.

Spent a Saturday night on short notice. The motel was practically full and it was not racing season! They have a better than average breakfast set-up for breakfast with a wide selection. Room was clean and quiet. Plenty of parking close to your room. Across the street from Ruidoso Downs and a short drive to mid-town shopping and restaurants. Very reasonable rates for the location.

Stop over on our way to Arizona. We arrived before sunset, check in went smooth, even a bone for our dog! Rooms were huge and comfortable. Went for dinner based on a recommendation from staff. Breakfast had a lot of choices and was nice and hot! Only downside, night we stayed, late check in near us made the walkways extra loud and the hot tub was not working but was still hot. Highly recommended as it is a beautiful spot.

This is an amazing place tucked away in the woods. The rooms were VERY nice, clean and roomy. Microwave and fridge in the room too! The hot breakfast and grounds just added to the ambiance. We are locals and will recommend to every visitor we know!

We really enjoy staying in Best Western Pine Springs Ruidoso it is a great hotel.. It sits off the road up on a hill and so many beautiful tree's and landscaping is so nice and the staff is great. You are within feet of Ruidoso Downs and Casino and town is less than 10 minutes away if that long. Loved how quiet it was at the hotel and the rooms were very nice. Older hotel but very nice.

As a local, we have had the privilege of staying at most hotels in the area. The Best Western Pine Springs Inn is, hands down, the best Hotel in town! The staff is the most courteous, efficient, and helpful crew that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Holly, the manager, bent over backwards to make sure our stay was as enjoyable as it could be. She is very professional, friendly, and is an amazing manager. The standard of the hotel and the exceptional service from the staff was second to none. The rooms were immaculate, comfortable, and very up to date. They have a superb complementary breakfast with the most friendly and helpful staff. As busy professionals, we recommend this Hotel to everyone and we stay here as often as possible!

The location is perfect. The surrounding trees everything is picturesque. The staff on check in was wonderful. The desk attendant called shortly after check in to see how things were. My only complaint was we were on the second level and as there are no elevators it involves several trips to the car. The room itself was clean, well appointed. The pool and hot tub were clean and in a perfect spot surrounded by trees. The continental breakfast was very nice, the food was hot, good selection and wonderful staff.

Nice place, conveniently located, has pool and a nice picnic area, you can even borrow a grill for your cook out at the hotel, there is a Walmart near by, and is right across the billy the kid race track & casino

we loved this hotel. it is nicely situated on top of a mountain surrounded by pine trees. convenient to downtown Ruidoso and surrounding places of interest. breakfast was great and tasty. will definitely stay here again.

We have stayed here twice on our travels to and from Tucson. It is a great pls e to stay. Our room was clean and they served breakfast. Today the breakfast was better than the first time we stayed. Not just rolls and coffee. Waffles, eggs and sausage was served today. The people were very helpful. We had a malfunction the first time we stayed but this time there were no problems. We will be back some day!! Very friendly people too. Cookies served on the lobby too!

First visit to Ruidoso 3/15/2016. With wife, 3 daughters ages 3,6,9. Wasn't sure what to expect. Prices were decent and this got better reviews over of moderately priced motels in the area. I'm glad we did our research. This location is down the street from the main part of town (none of it is really walking distance) so it doesn't much matter. It's set back in the woods a little so it sort of has a retreat vibe to it. We was checked in quickly. The room was a double queen. Very large decent room. I wouldn't say it was "modern" but it wasn't out-dated. My daughters loved the heated pool, My wife and i enjoyed the large hot tub. The landscaping was all very well kept, and made the location feel like a retreat more than a motel. The room had comfortable beds, large flat tv, and a great heater. The one thing that really made this place stand out was the breakfast. It's in a separate building. They offer a large hot breakfast that was a true cooked breakfast (not instant eggs or microwaved sausage)..I even left a tip for the cook/waitress. We had intended on staying 2 nights, but our youngest wasn't feeling hot (double ear infection and strep throat) and we did check out after only 1 night so we could get her home and to the doctor. Without a doubt we will return to this location during our next trip to Ruidoso....cons towels were ehh, and internet was so slow we couldn't even get on facebook (first world problems huh) ...pros price, location, comfortable rooms, very nice breakfast (better than most expensive hotels) Great staff (American, not newly arrived immigrants) that took genuine interest in my daughters wellness. Karissa and her manager were over the top sincere.

Everyone we met who worked for the hotel had the friendliest, most helpful attitude. We didn't originally plan on staying here, but had a change of plans, and we are so glad we stayed here. The hotel is set up on a hill amongst pine trees, making for a beautiful setting. The rooms, the grounds, and the facilities, are all neat and clean. The as I mentioned before, the staff was fantastic. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here 2 nights for a quick getaway weekend. The price is great as is location. We didnt try the breakfast but heard from other guest it was good. The hot tub was nice, we will definately go back soon its a great place for the price.

This hotel provided a nice respite in the beautiful Ruidoso, New Mexico area. The hotel served a nice breakfast, and was pet friendly. The location is convenient to Ruidoso Downs and the Casino as well as retail and other amenities in the area. Due to the mountain roadways and speeds, I would estimate that it is approximately 30 mins to Ski Apache although that does not it is not that far by distance. Beautiful views of the nighttime and sunrise skies area available here.

Beautiful location in quiet pines just on the edge of town. Isn't this why you come to the mountains in the first place? Convenient to all the fun Ruidoso has to offer. Staff were friendly, professional and attentive, we really appreciated the tlc. We will definitely stay here again.

Management Looses Repeat Business from Customers and Creates Bad Name for Best Western. Need New Management otherwise property will continue to Go Down Hill Fast!!! Bottom Level Was Not Given as an Option and Hotel was more then Half Empty.

The location of the hotel is good, in the middle of the forest, so quiet. The front desk attendants were very friendly at check in. The room are simple but very clean, Free wi-fi. Overall a good stay, at check out again very nice people. If you like to gamble a casino is near or you can go to the Inn of the Mountain Gods.

We decided to stay at the Best Western due to its location. Its up hill and is secluded from busy streets and town noise. It was nice, the property is kept clean and we were able to relax. We will be back to this property when we return to Ruidoso

Overall is good. But I think they got to be a little more professional. The rooms were ok but again I was not happy when they gave me a smoking room knowing they have a non smoking because one of my friends call to reserve another room and he ask for a non smoking and he got one.

Excellent price for what you get. Breakfast is better than expected and actually has hot food. Rooms have always been clean and friendly staff at check in and check out. Mattresses are a little uncomfortable and seem to be older but other than that it is a good value.

What a lovely location, so peaceful in the forested mountains. The rooms are beautiful, and the staff friendly, even offering baked cookies. Returning from dinner we saw a deer crossing the property. Wooden bridges criss cross the courtyard. A retreat you'd never believe was so close to town.

I travel to Ruidoso for work pretty regularly, and even though my company pays for my lodging, I try to find a clean, safe place at a reasonable price. This hotel definitely fits the bill. It's a slight bit off the highway, and at first I thought, "Where the heck am I going?" but it actually is easy to find and get to. The rooms have external doors, which I don't mind but I know some people do. I had a room with two queen beds. The room was spacious, very clean, and quiet; it had a flat-screen TV (didn't use), a microwave, and mini-fridge. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom/shower area was efficient. I appreciated the curved shower rod, which really makes a difference, the better-than-normal quality towels, and full sized hair dryer that wasn't shrill and hearing-loss inducing like most are. The wifi worked great. The free breakfast included waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels, juice, and fruit. The only minor complaint I have is about the shower. While hot water was plentiful, the shower-regulator thing (what is that thing called??) was the kind that goes from ice-cold to scaldingly hot with a millimeter's change. It's possible that it was just my room that had that issue. I definitely plan to stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers.

top of the hill hard to reach when iced clean room plenty of hot water, breakfast was very good. no elevator, great view. convenient wallmart next to hotel. close to casino and main road. the sign on the road should be a little bigger.

Clean Rooms, Plenty of Hot Water, Comfy Beds and clean grounds Breakfast was very good, Waffles, Eggs, Sausage, Bagels, Fruit, Yogurt and Cereal. Excellent Staff. Night girl was very helpful, manager came at breakfast to see how everything was. Walmart is really close. Will definetely stay there again!

Our stay was shortened by a day due to the weather. It was this hotel that called and told us we would not be able to make it in the first night. I appreciated that information. When we made it in the next day, they were late getting rooms ready, which was totally understandable with everyone finally able to check out after the same snow storm that had kept us away. When we were able to check in that evening there were no towels. I called the office, and three different employees came by to deliver towels- over the top accommodating. Breakfast was ample, everyone can find something they like. Employees are always checking and refilling when necessary. The grounds were beautifully covered in a snowy white blanket. My one complaint was one ice maker for the whole complex, and it's in the breakfast room, which I would guess is noisy when it's working. It was not working during our visit.

Spent a weekend at this hotel great, enjoyed the stay very pretty property and delicious complimentary breakfast. The only negative, the desk manager was a bit rude and short with customers. We did make a written complaint with Best Western however we never received a reply from corporate.

We did have problems with upstairs room where someone was jumping constantly all the way til 11:00 at night We called to complain but it didnt stop The rest of the stay was above average room was comfortable and roomy We were close to many convenient stores, shops restaurants casinos and parks for the kids.Reasonable price for the stay and food was good.Will probably come back again but hope that we will not have the same problem with the top neighbor above us.Made good memories with the 2 1/2 ft of snow and walking distance to WalMart for groceries.Snow was beautiful to see fall all day and all night.

This a clean and beautiful hotel with an unbeatable scenery. Definitely a great value. I traveled with my family to this hotel during the winter time and there is enough room to play in the snow at the hotel. The staff is super friendly and the cleaning staff does a great job of cleaning the rooms and restocking if necessary. Loved my stay here.

Staff was very friendly and hotel was nice and clean! Manager is great and very proactive . I would visit again. Breakfast was good too and is replenished frequently.. They even opened up the conference room when the breakfast room was full.. Great customer service!

This dog friendly hotel was a perfect vacation spot for us. It's location is a plus because it was situated separately on a small hill offering privacy and good view of the mountains. During the snow, it provided ample space for kids to play in the snow. Hotel room facilities were good and satisfying. The breakfast had multiple options including sausage/eggs/gravy/bagels/juice/yogurt etc. Would come back here when we return next year.

This is the best hotel that I have stayed at. The rooms are big, the staff is awesome. They are always willing to help no matter what. The grounds are beautiful. A nice place to walk around or just sit outside and visit. Breakfast is amazing! They serve scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, sausage gravy, make your own waffles. They have different kinds of bread, muffins, and rolls. They have cereal and yogurt too. All free.

Excellent price, rustic off-main street location, good grounds, adequate parking and good clean room accommodations. Not so good: regarding inadequate breakfast and upstairs walking by other guest created night noise, making sleep difficult. Plan to visit againbut to take an upstairs room near stairwell.

The Pine Springs Inn in Ruidoso NM is an excellent place to stay with or without your pet. The staff is excellent. The rooms and grounds look like a resort. There is plenty of room for exercising your pet. The staff, however, make this motel what it is-----excellent

Very noisy and ants in one of the rooms. I got a good rate but wasn't worth it if you can't sleep anyway. They shampooed the carpet in one of my rooms, so I guess it was clean, but the carpet was still damp and the cleaning solution smell was bad. No other rooms available.

Very nice hotel tucked away into the tree's but just off the road across from the race track. Friendly Staff. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and affordable. Doors directly to the outside. Seriously Yummy breakfast. Parking lot was big enough to maneuver and park our pick up and trailer.

I have stayed here several times and always have had a nice stay. I chose this for a relaxing weekend due to the area and knowing I would have a great hotel. As I expected we had an exceptional stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights last year and had a good experience. As a result, I returned for two nights in November for a wedding anniversary and the experience was anything but good. The room was in the same wing as hotel laundry, which did laundry practically all night the first night keeping me awake. I talked to the staff the following morning and they indicated they were short staffed and had to do laundry at night, but would be sure to end it between 10:30 and 11:00 pm. The second night they stopped when we called them at 11:30 pm. The room was marginal, sinks leaked, shower faucet wasn't properly mounted on the wall, shower head leaked, and the carpet had multiple stains. The bed (queen size) was not really comfortable with two people in it as it sagged a bit in the middle. On the positive, the hotel had a great breakfast, the hotel grounds are nicely landscaped. The staff are pleasant to talk with. The room had a nice TV, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. The atmosphere around the hotel (away from the laundry area) is quiet and peaceful.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. I have taken photos of the family and friends on the grounds. It is a beautiful setting with extremely nice staff and patrons. I would recommend this hotel to both couples and families. It is always quiet and peaceful.

We were in ruidoso for the cowboy symposium. We really enjoyed the music,cool are, country stars and food. We stayed at the best western pine springs,in Ruidoso downs. It was a nice place and landscaped beautifully.the arts and crafts were really an interesting array of items. We have been to the symposium several times and have always enjoyed it. We ate at some wonderful new restaurants,and tried different foods.the hotel was clean ,well ran and a wonderful place for us. The location couldn't be beat.right across from the symposium.

I have stayed here many times and highly recommend it for price, location, amenities, hot breakfast and ambience! It is across the street from the race track and within short drives to nice restaurants.

My wife and I took a little vacay here, and Loved it!! The setting is just wonderful. You drive up a steep road to get to the Inn, and you are surrounded by natural woods, with a great, quiet view! You are also Directly across from the Racetrack and Casino, which is Very convenient! The staff is very friendly, the rooms are nice and roomy, and the free breakfast can't be beat! They actually have a separate building for breakfast, with great food, such as biscuits and sausage. This place can't be beat for the price! We will definitely be back!

Hotel was very clean. Safe area. The scenery of the property was outstanding. Also being in the woods, the smell of the fresh trees was great. Breakfast Bar was very good. I'm a non smoker, but this property allows smokers and pets. Would stay here again, no doubt

This small hotel is an older Best Western, but the family that takes care of it does a superb job. It is in a lovely location up in the mountains, off of the main highway. It is extremely quiet and has a beautiful courtyard with lovely flowers, grass and picnic tables. It's a great place to have a glass of wine and enjoy the smell of the pines. There is also a place to grill or have a picnic. The rooms are older, but they have been repainted and the bathroom has been modernized. The prices are low compared to others. We love this little place because of the above reasons and because it is so close to the race track.

Stayed at this hotel for two days while in Ruidoso. The hotel is back off of Hwy 70, up a hill and in a beautiful wooded area. The hotel and grounds are well groomed with a swimming pool and picnic areas. Our room was large, having two queen beds, frig, microwave and TV. The bathroom area was quite small however. Anyway good room facing the parking lot and easy to load and unload luggage. The internal rooms faced the garden area and have good views. The hotel provides a daily breakfast service and it was a good variety of hot and cold foods. I would recommend and return to this hotel.

The hotel is set among pines in the hills in New Mexico. The grounds are very lovely and well kept. The staff is charming and helpful. The water pressure is not good. The mattresses and box springs are being changed out but they have not gotten to every room.

My husband and i came to get a way for the weekend,stayed at this hotel,ask for a court yard view which cost extra(got the last room of the building so you could see the parking lot and a couple blades of grass),there were only 2 towels in the bathroom and the water pressure in the shower and sink were next to nothing..the location was nice and away from traffic.. would not recommend this hotel for the price it was.

nice alpine getaway. hotel met the needs of this get away. were some minor repair items to be noted such as low water pressure for bathroom and showers and somewhat noisy air conditioning system. everything else was good.

i have been on a best western kick lately after driving from texas to canada and back so decided to try another one here and i wasn't disappointed. the rooms have been updated at some point and they are large. the chair is a little worn but the beds were comfortable and it's always nice to have a fridge and microwave--even if you don't use it. the grounds are very nice and well maintained. the hotel sits back off the main road so it's nice and quiet. i got a good price on the room and the staff person was very friendly when i checked in. i would definitely stay here again.

Do not stay here stay in your car the rooms smell of smoke in non smoking. The beds were 1960 vintage and very bad. The shower went so slow as we had no water pressure at 5:00 in the morning. We should have left but could not find another room. We were very tired and just craned. The coffee maker parts were missing. Glad to leave very early in the morning to get to a real Hotel. Will never go near this place again when in Ruidoso.
