    « 5 Stars ??? »

we stayed one night on our way to Burgundy, to see the landscape with its volcanos. Really worth to see. The choice of Hotel was in a small village just close to Clermont-Ferrand. The Best Western, on its website a 5* Hotel, was good in location, easy to find. The reception was minimal, no welcome, no question if help is required with the luggage etc.. We had booked a Prestige room directly with Hotel, we expected a good size room with a bathroom with 2 sinks and shower. We got a small room on floor 6th with a tiny bathroom and worn out interior. so disappointed. Private parking is available for a fee, be aware of the portal which did not open by itself, there is no videocamera or call button to help, reception did open from the inside once they were informed of the problem.

« Wonderful hotel, great spa »

Your best choice in Clermiont-Ferrand. The rooms are large and furnished fir a real sense of luxury. Reception and staff very friendly and helpful. Dint abuse the sweets that are given there, they are addictive, you can't stop once you start! The spa facility and pool is great. The beds were perfect for a very set full and quiet sleep. Price is reasonnable for this category, and great considering the quality of this place.

    « Excellent personalized service »

Overall a good stay in a very good hotel. The best part are the thermal baths which you can reach from the hotel while staying inside. The baths are very nice with different temperatures, saunas etc. They offer a package where the baths are included and this makes the stay extra relaxing. Their front desk staff are very helpful. I had 300 bottles of wine in the car which they helped stock in the cave of the hotel. Very nice service! Parking is inside under the hotel and under lock and key.

    « A wonderful experience »

A beautiful room, perfect bed, spotless, ideally located for entertainment free access to the spa...what more to ask! The staff was friendly and helpful although nobody offered to help us with our luggage which, for a five star, is unexpected.

    « A piece of good luck »

On our way to the South of France, we had become lost and could not find the hotel we had reserved. We stopped here to see if they could give us directions. It was after 10 in the evening, but the night staff promptly found a map and explained we were very near. He was so helpful that we asked if they had a room, and he said yes, he would love to have us but the other hotel was very near. Impressed by his thoughtfulness, I cancelled the other reservation. They kindly brought us a much needed drink(getting lost is so stressing) we relaxed and then went upstairs. Very comfortable room, very nice breakfast. I wish we could have stayed longer. The staff told me that cathedral is definitely worth a visit. It was a shame we had to go on, but we hope to come again and spend a bit more time in this comfortable and lovely place.

« Excellent, shame a waiter took the shine off the stay »

The only thing that let the hotel down was dinner on our first night. The food was excellent and the service to start excellent. We were then left sitting with empty desert plates for 20 minutes waiting to sign for our meal. The wait was due to the waiter chatting to his friend and showing each other photos on their phones. Not what you expect in a 5 star hotel.

« Beautiful hotel, excellent staff »

We had a great stay here, the hotel itself is beautiful, very comfortable and luxurious rooms, great beds, lovely bathroom. The thing that really blew us away though was how welcoming, professional, courteous and helpful the staff were. We arrived with a small dog and a large motorhome and parking was going to be a major issue as we were too tall for the hotels private car park (our fault - we forgot to mention the height of our vehicle). The staff went out of their way to sort everything out for us with the minimum of stress and we were very impressed - a real "old fashioned" approach to customer service and problem solving. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we had other arrangements but it looked very welcoming with a tempting menu. We did however make use of the Spa and spent a very relaxing hour or two there, we also had a drink in the bar - our barman was also helpful and friendly and made a mean mojito! overall a great experience and the staff are a credit to this beautiful hotel.

I was really enjoying my short stay at this nice boutique ish hotel. Real air conditioning, a rare find in France... Nice room, big comefortable bed, quiet room with second door between the bedroom area and the hallway... Everything was going so well, until I got in the shower... I HAVE HAD BETTER SHOWERS AND WATER PRESSURE FROM A GARDEN HOSE... It was also a huge step to get into the tub and I am 6'2"

    « Good size rooms »

This was a stop over in travelling to Switzerland . Positives are: 1. The rooms are a very good size with a separate "lounge " area. 2. Good location so easy to walk into town. 3. Public parking just next to the hotel - free after 6 pm. 4. Tea/coffee making facilities 5. Very well appointed in terms of shampoos etc A great restaurant to try is Le Europeen. Wonderful fit out, great food and reasonable prices. The chef was particularly helpful, allowing us to come in pre the 7 pm opening for a drink before dinner. The only negative was the square and hard pillows.

« Nice hotel but some staff training for the men »

Stay nights , receptionists very nice and helpfull, we had an upgrade but even then room was very small but nice except cobwebs at corners of bedroom ceiling, bathroom was spotless and very nice. We went for a drink at the bar ...when out because the music was to loud but came in after a while as it was getting to cold, ask the waiter,Russian to put the music down,he did so but it was still to loud as the music played was...african,south american, argentino etc...not quiet music... IS THE MUSIC FOR THE STAFF? Waiter ,Russian, insisted to speak english, fine with us but we both speak french fluently. When ask where we came from...husband seem to be ok but where I came from seem to deserve insult....not a country worth mention it!!!! After this we decided NOT to have another drink and went to the restaurant for a meal. When we got there this young Russian man was there and seem to be in charge! MUSIC AGAIN TO LOUD AND THIS TIME CRAP WRAP!! NOT music for a quiet meal when you try to talk and relax.......IF you need something as a back ground.... We ask for a quiet table and pointed to one.......but he decided that we should have to a larger table of 6 people...nobody there but if someone would have come it would not have been quiet! We had the special menu who was good but overated and had trouble getting the wine that we wanted even that it was on the list, first they did not have it any local white to replace it....and then they had it ...but it was somehwere else in the hotel.... This hotel has great views especaily a roof terrace and the staff try their best, the women seem to be better then the men but this Russian guy should learn at least that agressive russian humor does not work with european. Would stay there again as it is convenient for our travel but would not stay there for more than one night and IF this Russian guy is still there will avoid him and may not even have a meal in the hotel IF he is in charge. This could be a one off but it did leave us with a bad taste for such a well known hotel, Will give it one more go and if still no good...will go somewhere else.

    « Overated »

    « Merci Igor! »

We visited this hotel as part of a Driving Adventures holiday en route to Cannes. After a long drive this was a perfect place to relax and recharge: we used the spa, admired the view of Clermont-Ferrand from our window and enjoyed a great evening meal, overseen by the wonderful Igor, a most charming waiter and fixer.

    « What a fabulous hotel! »

We enjoyed a very luxurious stay in the junior suite - the room was amazing, with beautiful views across Royat. Breakfast was plentiful with everything you could wish for. We enjoyed a superb meal in the restaurant attended by the charismatic Igor! Very friendly guy with great English, he couldn't have been mire welcoming. In addition to all of this the hotel has its own thermal baths/spa. As guests we had complimentary use - this was the icing on the cake for us. We would love to visit again in the future.

    « Lovely, lovely hotel! »

My wife & I stayed for two nights. We'd been working hard, needed a break & having visited the Royatonic Spa once or twice before, we thought that this time we'd treat ourselves & also stay at the attached hotel, The Princesse Flore. The room was spacious, luxurious & more like a small studio apartment than a "room". Clean, warm (almost TOO warm, but we opened the windows), & VERY comfortable. The staff were really friendly (special mention to Melle who helped us sort out booking the stay with our Cairn terrier, Eric), & always gave the impression that they were pleased to see us & would do everything they could to make our visit as pleasurable as possible. And the icing on the cake was our unlimited access to the Royatonic Spa, in which we had 3 lengthy sessions, bliss. If you're in need of having your batteries recharged, we very highly recommend a couple of days at the Hotel Princesse Flore & the Royatonic Spa - we've come away feeling pampered & refreshed!

    « GREAT STAY »

Many thanks to the flore team 3 days with kids Nice and confortable hotel, easy location Big Suite for 200 euros by night good breakfast we envoy the menu of the restaurant free acess to ths spa center , Royatonic warm welcome Lula an sharif

    « Could improve »

Princess Flore hotel is stuck between a public parking and a water enternemaint center. The pool/spa is not accessible before 9h45. The garage is tricky to get in. Employees are lacking a 5 stars experience.
