Best Western Garden Villa Inn

The guy that checked us in was friendly and personable. The lobby was very humid, warm and uncomfortable, felt like we were in a sauna. A gal offered us water which we appreciated, but declined. Our room was ok, nothing special. There was no hand soap at the sink and the hand towel that was there had something on it. Fortunately housekeeping was just a few doors down from us, so we were able to remedy both issues quickly. The shower also had some stuff in the tub, like a twist tie and something else, not sure what it was. Building definitely on the older side with some attempts to update. We didn't check out breakfast, so not sure what that was like. The lobby did have board games it looked like you could check out, not sure if it was to borrow or rent, but for a family I appreciated those available. Location wise was pretty good, just off the freeway and close to a variety of shopping.

Located just off the I 5 made it a very convenient place to overnight. The building itself is showing it's age in some places yet that was easily overlooked as our room was clean. What stood out for us was the outstanding service provided by the night manager Tim can't say enough about the quality of his customer service that and the fact we didn't fret about our truck being broken into as the parking lot has numerous security cameras that are monitored. We plan on coming back.

Bryan gave us the best greeting ever and was so genuinely friendly even though we arrived quite late. We would stay here again. The facility was older but well kept bed was a little lumpy but we slept well. Breakfast was ok, coffee not too good.

Not sure why others gave bad reviews on this hotel. Excellent value, very clean snd spacious room, king bed comfortable, good location, good breakfast, friendly staff, washer/dryer on site. Modern decor in room. Would highly recommend.

No hot water room smelly bed very uncomfortable overall the hotel needs some work. Location easy to get to and access the town amenities. I will not be staying here again if I return to the area overall very displeased

I stopped in for one night while traveling. The front desk staff was very friendly, the free breakfast was pretty good, including eggs, waffles, sausage, fruit, etc. My room was pretty quiet even though it was facing I-5. It is a basic 2 star hotel, but the room was clean and it felt very safe. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay! Extremely clean and friendly and accommodating staff. It is also dog friendly. Breakfast was good in the morning as well. This reminded me more of the service you expected when hotels were more supportive of the traveler. Thank you!

This was a highly rated hotel but I think a little too highly rated. It was clean but seemed cheap. We could hear the next door neighbors having sex and feel the wall shaking. Good for them. Bad for our sleep. Parking was tough - I'll blame that on the storm. In the am the toilet stopped work. All in all it's a motel just off I 5. We slept - on and off and left.

The room was decent as we had a pet friendly room four our dogs. The breakfast was horrible. I don't think I have had one this bad at any Best Westerns my Wife and I have stayed at. The eggs were flavorless and runny. The potatoes were cold, and they ran out of sausage way before they closed for breakfast. The items available were quite limited which was quite a surprised to myself and other guests.

This was one of those last minute i'm driving through its late, this had a room situations. I won. Tim at the front desk was super chipper even for the late hour we arrived and took great care of us. He said here i'll put you in one of the better rooms, and indeed the room was spotless and comfortable. They had a pretty darn good free breakfast in the morning with breakfast sammies that my daughter loved.. coffee to go in the lobby. Oh the breakfast lady was super cheerful and sweet. I really liked this place it has lots of charm, but the staff were above and beyond and made the stay.

I was born and raised in Roseburg, know the town, it's culture and demographic. We visit frequently from the Sesttle are where I have practiced law for almost 50 years. Freeway inns have become too expensive, often indifferent to our needs and exhibited poor hospitality. Garden Valley Inn is our answer to all of the above ! We will return and encourage others to visit.

This place is great. The customer service was outstanding. Ana and everyone else was greeted us woth a fun, festive, and friendly vibe and they even had cute little pet care bags. Their breakfast was one of the best chain hotel breakfasts I have had in years. the rooms are modest but great for the price value. They we're clean, comfortable, and well equipped. I often drive from Washington to California and I think this will definitely be my go to place to stay on route from now on!

We needed a pet-friendly room, and our first 2 choices were booked. So we found this property. The pet friendly room was $176.99 PLUS a $25 pet fee. That's pretty high for an old property, but it was all we could find. So, when we get to the room, the hideous old carpet was disfigured with stains and ground in dirt. Even worse, the room stank of old dirty dog. Everything was worn, tired, and just not worth the money. I went back to the office to ask for some air freshener, and this must be a common problem, because the front desk had a spray can right there to give to guests. But before I got to the desk to ask, I -- and 5 other guests -- had to wait while the manager lectured the new desk clerk on why she was so wrong to quote prices to a customer, because 'customer service is our corporate value.' Then the manager doesn't even look twice at the line of customers and just walked off! The poor new clerk did as best she could, and none of us were mad at her. But we all had a few things on our minds about that manager. One other guest said that she'd been in retail for over 25 years and had never seen such a poor performance as a manager. Best Western, if you're reading these reviews, fix your problems in Roseburg.

Upon entering the room it was apparent the room had not been made up or cleaned after Last occupants! I went to the front and advised the clerk of this situation she had no solution to fix this problem! No other room available and no rooms in town! After pleading with the clerk she did find a clean sheet and pillow for me! I returned to the room and stripped the bed I used some cleaning supplies I had in my car and cleaned the bathroom then made do with the dirty room! Upon check out the day clerk gave me a email of her supervisor to try to discount the room. I have emailed her including pictures but not received any response ! If no response I will definitely advertise for this property!!!!'DONT STAY HERE

My husband and I frequent Best Western on our travels, and were using some of our points for this hotel. However, we were very disappointed in this particular facility. The staff were friendly and check in went well. We had asked for a 1st floor room with King bed to avoid using stairs (there's no elevator), which they gave us. It was right next door to the laundry room accessible to guests, which was a concern, but did not end up being a noise issue. I did get a bit concerned when the man ahead of us checking in asked if it was ok to leave his dog alone in his room while he was away, and the clerk told him it was fine. I was glad he didn't have a room next to us. I also wondered how noisy it would be when there was a bowl of earplugs for guests at the desk. (The hotel sits very close to the highway off-ramp). When we entered our small, dark room, I noticed right away that the patterned carpet was stained in multiple locations and definitely needed a good cleaning. The furniture showed obvious wear and tear, and some of the walls could use a new coat of paint. The bathtub had mildew around the edges, and overall the room just felt unclean. The AC and WIFi worked until the power went out in the area for 3 hours in the evening, so we closed the drapes and tried to keep things cool until it returned. (WIFI never came back on.) The room had a microwave, small fridge and coffee maker. The bedding was the only attractive thing in the room, but I noticed that the sheets had a faint musty smell as if they had been stored for awhile, and the pillows were a bit flat. We used the AC fan to drown out traffic noise, which wasn't too bad. I didn't notice until the next morning that there were small spots of what looked like blood or a dark liquid on the bottom edge of the box spring cover. The free breakfast bar in the AM was decent, with a variety of hot and cold food options, including homemade cherry crisp which was a treat. I can say that the biggest issue with this Best Western was cleanliness, and due to that important issue, we would not stay at this Best Western again.

1. Parking lot behind the hotel became a noisy race track (think of street takeovers) several times after midnight each night. 2. Internet failed due to power outage. Once the power was restored, the Internet remained unusable. At check-out the next morning, it still wasn't restored. The hotel had no leverage with their vendor to restore the service for their customers.

This hotel was conveniently located and the room was roomy nicely decorated with a comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and helpful and we were provided with a full breakfast buffet. Would definitely stay there again

this facility is run with the great standards of the best western brand. Staff are very friendly and very efficient to deal with any issues or if you need something. The room was clean and the bed was very comfy. The breakfast is excellent and has a lot of options to choose from regardless of taste.

Friendly and helpful staff clean rooms easy to access right off the highway decently priced and has hot tub, will definitely be staying there over any other hotels near by. Only complain is there pillows could be bigger.

Due to my career, I have to travel all the time for work. I have been a frequent visitor at this location, and I just HAVE to leave a positive review. I have never felt safer and more comfortable in any hotel than I have here. Tina, the front desk representative, is a huge asset to your business and your Roseburg team. She has gone above and beyond to ensure my safety is a priority. She always greets me by my name, has a smile on her face no matter what, and just makes me feel like I'm home away from home. She even called me to let me know she made cookies! I really appreciate how she has made me feel so welcomed during all of my stays. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough to anyone thinking about staying here; You will feel right at home! The rooms are clean, the location is easy to get to, and overall is an enjoyable place to stay.

Everyone and every time we have stayed here it has been great. All the Best Westerns we have stayed at, this one is one of the best, in our opinion. It's just the way all the employees are and how helpful they all are.

Spent the night on our way home from California- Super clean room. Comfy beds Quiet location! Good options in the area for dining. Booking online is cheaper than in person. Good breakfast with lots of options included! Good value

Excellent location for trips to Umpqua waterfall region. It is just off I-5 highway. The hot breakfast was very good. Very clean rooms and good internet connectivity. Excellent access to nearby restaurants. Fred Meyer is nearby. I would highly recommend this place.

The bathroom was so gross we left without showering! It looked like someone tried to paint the bathtub. Tile was dirty. Popcorn ceiling, vanity was thigh level, tv was so small and everything was extremely outdated.

Location was very convenient, close to two very good takeout restaurants, good location for service dog. But the room had a bit of odor to it. Not totally unexpected when traveling with a dog. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

I arrived late and tired, Tina went out of her way to meet my needs. She provided exceptional service. The room was clean. TV worked fine. Water pressure and hot water was great. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

I literally just got in my room, and I refuse to take a shower. The tub of the shower looks as if someone tried to paint it. The bottom is stained with possible mold. There is mold in the corners of the shower. The room is musty. How this place has a 4.0 rating, I cannot understand. The only good thing was the clerk who checked us in was very friendly and efficient.

I booked a standard room with a King bed and a kitchen months before my trip, through Chase travel. When I called the front desk the day of my stay I was told they had booked a Queen room instead. I asked if they had a room with two Queens instead. The front desk rep said yes, changed my reservation without asking me, and said the rate had increased by $150. Since it was originally booked through Chase, she couldn't fix it. I spent 2 hours on the phone attempting to fix her error and eventually just demanded a refund, which is still in process with Doug the hotel owner. Awful experience, a waste of my time, and a clear lack of training, competence, and customer service by the staff. Avoid this place at all costs.

The breakfast is excellent, it has many options and it always has food, you do not have to be warning that something is missing, the receptionist is very kind, very clean the breakfast area, my husband and I love breakfast in this hotel

I stayed here several times, in recent years, when my son was in the VA hospital. The location was perfect. It's a little noisy due to proximity to the freeway, but overall seems very safe. A lot of shopping and food choices are nearby. The staff, in spite of appearing less than professional with their tattoos and hair color, were pleasant. It's a shame that seems to be the norm now.

Nice Stay, even being close to the freeway, the noise was minimal. Breakfast was hot and available. Waffle machine malfunctioned, but not a big deal. Pool was kept and enjoyed. Room was clean, but the carpet was in desperate need of more than just a vacuum. The bottom of my daughter and I's feet were dirty not even an hour after a bath in the Jacuzzi. Otherwise, our stay was pleasant.

We had a great stay at the Garden Villa Inn Roseburg. The staff was super nice and the property is very well maintained. They have an amazing pool if your traveling with kids. A lots of breakfst items to choose from.

Hi gang, Yup, back up here in Oregon again. I decided to make an overnight stop in Roseburg on my way north. 92 deg during the day and it rained at night….in August ?? Got a ground floor room, reasonably quiet, bed was comfy for a good nights rest after a 400+ mile drive. The only issue I can say is the breakfast was limited. Bacon, potatoes, waffles, toast and pastry, cereals and biscuits and gravy (my favorite) were standard offering, good enuff to fill your belly. Otis Spunkmeyer muffins are a nice alternative. I didn't see any milk offered and there was no OJ. Freeway noise wasn't an issue at all and is easy to get to. Several restaurants are nearby and gas stations are plentiful. Check pricing but worth a stay. Rich

Clean room, bed was fine. Noisy plumping from adjacent room, horrible scrambled eggs for breakfast and $198/night for one queen bed. Not much interaction with staff. Check in told me price was cheapest and included Best Western membership and AAA rate. She did not offer what if any discount I received.

We stay at BW often. The staff was super friendly and made every effort to make us as comfortable as they could. The beds were comfortable and the room appeared clean. The room air conditioner was woefully past it's prime. The room was super hot and stuffy. The curtains did not meet the wall, so we had full on I-5 light coming in the sides. We were woken up by the housekeepers running their carts past our room at 6am. We got dressed and went to breakfast- expecting a full breakfast buffet. The bacon was good. The biscuits were dried out and hard. The gravy was not too bad. The scrambled eggs tasted as though they were watered down. They were out of maple syrup. They ran out of plates and had some use paper. No pastries. The two bananas were mostly black, and hard on the inside(kept in a too cold refrigerator I presume). The two apples had a layer of dust on them. Overall, I'd choose to go elsewhere if staying more than one night. And the issues we had are solvable, if the wonderful staff is allowed to work on them.

Standard room with a hot breakfast. There is a pool on the property, although we did not use it. Housekeeping staff are friendly. Good for a one night stay to get to the next stop. Quite crowded for a weekday stay.

The staff was friendly and funny. The bed - OMG - comfortable. The facility itself was very enjoyable. I enjoyed the on to go breakfast. The parking was great as well. I wish I could have played the games, but it will be a next time.

Great location. All staff are very nice. stayed in suite with kitchen. very nice and clean. Would definately stay at this Best western again every time we are in town. Pool was amazing, kids loved it.

We have always enjoyed our stay here. Location is perfect and when vehicles pulling trailers park outside the area, plenty of parking. Breakfast is always enjoyable, fresh, non bruised up bananas are always good.

Close to the freeway, very nice hotel, and friendly & clean. Free buffet breakfast. There are plenty of restaurants around and grocery store across the way. The VA medical center is right across the street, there is also a park and the river is beautiful!

Overalll, experience was wonderful. I traveled with 6-year-old grand daughter and we stayed 2 nights while visiting Wild Life Safari. Only negative was no elevator and up and down stairs with suitcases was difficult. Breakfast was pretty standard - assorted cereals, waffles, eggs, potatoes, meat, toast, etc. The hot tub was not working; the pool was quite nice but pretty cold. Daily room service was provided which I didn't expect given experiences with other hotels post-COVID. It was nice to have clean towels and trash emptied. The room was clean, shhampoo and conditioner were provided.... alll was good.

We book this hotel for volunteers at our local event. The property is centrally located close to restaurants, coffee kiosk, fuel, banking, and the interstate. Reasonably priced compare to others nearby of like amenities.

We came to Roseburg for a funeral. The hotel staff was more than accommodating when they were told the reason for the stay and that I would be arranging flowers for the service the next day. We left the room clean and it would be hard to tell I had done 3 arrangements and boutonnieres for the pallbearers. They made sure to have an extra garbage can for us . They were great to my 92 yr old mother and made sure she had a ground floor room for herself It was a quiet hotel and didn't have any intoxicated weekend party guest returning from the bars. Rooms were clean, Great staff. Hot breakfast. close to shopping . easy off and on the freeway

The staff and the rooms here are super nice. If your are an Rewards Member you are greeted with a nice thoughtful gift bag. If you are traveling with a pet we found the pet area a little to far away from the pet rooms which was a little unsettling. Other than that this was a very pleasant stay.

I made a reservation through a third-party vendor, ended up getting a queen size bed thinking I had reserved a room with a king. I asked if I could upgrade to a room with a king it was told there were no kings available but there was a room with two double beds. The front desk clerk then realized that I had made the reservation through a third-party and said that they were unable to switch me to that available room which would have accommodated my needs. If I had made the reservation through them directly instead of a 3rd party vendor I could have made the switch with no problem. After I offered to pay an upgrade to move me to that room I was told it would be possible for $177 more. Your kidding right? Being 6”4' tall and my fiancé being nearly as tall as me, the queen bed would have been next to impossible for us to sleep in. I ended up leaving and unfortunately paying for a room I didn't use that night as I felt insulted and “punished” for using a 3rd party vendor. Moving me into the other available room would have been the right thing to do. They wouldn't do it unless I paid another $177. It seems some hotels use the “we can't do things when it's a third party vendor reservation” making a customer feel like garbage, when those same hotels use the 3rd party vendors happily to fill unsold rooms each week. Finally, the property seems run down, I'm not sure why it's so high up on the trip advisor list of hotels, but there are truly nicer options for about the same amount of money. I would not recommend this location for your personal or business trip.

Good Service, pool was down being refinished , no eggs at breakfast due to shipments , elevator Oder of strong dog, not motels fault people don't take better care of there pets. but should have some sort of deodorizer

We always stay here when going to Roseburg. The employee are always cheerful and willing to go above and beyond to help out. They will always refer you to the best local establishment's for eating, drinking and other delights.

The staff here is great! They are friendly and helpful-genuinely greeting you or asking about your day makes or breaks a stay. The one glaring exception was the breakfast service manager. If you're having a bad day, don't take it out on guests.

The rooms are a bit old but everything works and the doors all face an inner parking lot, which feels a little safer than some motor inns. I like having ceramic mugs in the room, too. The breakfast is surprisingly good with a breakfast burrito bar and they even had almond milk.

After a long day on the road we were happy to get a room here. We had some trouble with our credit card and the desk staff were very patient and understanding and helped us sort it out. We are very appreciative of their patience with us. Despite being near the interstate, the room was quiet and comfortable. There were a couple of special touches which made staying there a little more pleasant than your standard motel. I loved that there were real glasses for water rather than plastic and that the housekeeper had taken the time to fold the towels in a decorative way.

The Garden Villa Best Western is conveniently located just off the I5 Interstate, but not so close that freeway notice is noticeable. it is in the corner of a small shopping center. Parking is more that adequate and it is easy to drive around and the entrance and facilities are very complete. t In addition to internet in every room there is a good business center. The rooms are fairly large with a table and plenty of electrical outlets. Direct TV is in the rooms along with an easy chair. There are plenty of lights available in the rooms. There us drawers for keeping underwear and other items if staying for a few days. A refrigerator and microwave are in the unit with the drawers and on which the large TV sets.

Best choice for clean,quiet and comfortable. I bring a group of friends once or twice a year to fish the nearby rivers. The location is convenient and breakfast starts at 6am. Coffee available before.

the price was excellent, we only had to pay 15 dollars for our puppy, then we were given not only a gift bag for us but also a gift bag for our puppy that touched our heart. we travel to the state often and we will only make this best Western garden villa our home.

This property is older so I wasn't expecting such a nice comfortable experience. They have rooms with a balcony and outdoor seating - super cute. The beds and pillows are comfortable and no weird smells. Room was clean and I enjoyed my stay. The continental breakfas was actually really good -- it tasted like actually cooked not nuked. Even though right on I-5, I did not hear much road noise during the night and the parking area is very safe/secure. I had a truck with a ton of stuff in the bed and no one bothered it.

Motel is basically a place to park, go to bed and leave. Hotel staff great and friendly. Rooms basic but clean and not too outdated. Great pet policy but not good for anything other than a lap dog no where to walk - grounds are basically a parking lot. Noisy setting. You basically are in the middle of a bunch of strip malls bordered by an interstate highway. But if you are really tired....

Easy check in. Clean room. Was small but that's fine. My husband had to take a test in Eugene but we couldn't find a room in Eugene so this worked out just fine. It was an easy drive to Eugene. Will stay here in the future if needed.

If you need to contact them to ask a question or make other arrangements, they never answer their phone. I had to make arrangements at a different place for accommodations and still was charged for a stay at this location. No idea why they never answer, and did not have time to go to the location and speak with them about it.

very nice, easy to find from the freeway, excellent breakfast. Helpful staff. No inside access might be a problem in bad weather. Rooms were large and comfortable. If in Roseburg, we would definitely use this hotel again.

I booked a room for my family. This includes 3 kids under the age of 8. We were driving on the road for around 8-9 hours that day and were really looking forward to resting for the night. When we got to the hotel, we found out that they gave away our room. It was 10PM at night. We didn't have a room to sleep in. They offered us a pet friendly room (last room). Even though we have potential allergies, I offered to check it out. We walked together with Bill (front desk guy) to view it and the smell was so bad that even he walked out. It smelled like pee. SO at 10PM at night (it was also raining lightly), I had to call Hotels dot com. Get a refund and find another hotel to stay in. Kudos to Bill for making the situation not as bad, but really not a great experience.

Room was adequate, breakfast was pretty good especially for Covid times. Non smoking motel, but it seemed every guest smoked directly outside their room so odor was noticeable inside and out. Location is directly adjacent to I 5 so there was a little road noise.

The beds were uncomfortable. The pool was cold and overcrowded with a large group partying and drinking alcohol. The breakfast was the worst I have seen at a hotel. The rooms were ok, but not worth what I paid… more like $79/ night value.

I have stayed at a number of Best Western properties around the West but this is the worst by far. I made reservations in May of this year, and called 1 week before my stay to confirm they had the reservation and to make sure one of my two rooms was disabled access. We arrived into town after driving for 7 hours to find they had no record of our reservations whatsoever. Thankfully the front desk person was able to get us 2 rooms for the night. The inside of the rooms are fair, though certainly need updating. Lots of noise from the parking lot, pool area, and street. Part of the carpeting near the bed was wet, which is disgusting. I will be glad to never return to this property again. Shame on Best Western for not doing a better job.

Nice staff. Average breakfast and average rooms. Easy for what it is right off highway, close to gas, food and coffee. Little pool so great stop for young kids. Have family in area so we visit a few times a year, ask for a non pet room or you'll get that familiar smell associated with these type of rooms which can play upon a persons allergies if this is a factor.

Overall nice place and this was a very nice room but you need to avoid the free breakfast. The food is served to you by unmasked proudly anti-vax employees who became abusive when questioned about it and shouting at my husband.

This motel is very conveniently located to I-5. Check in was easy and the front desk supervisor was outstanding. Very good breakfast selection and the lady serving it was top notch! The room was clean but did have a slight musty smell. The AC is located in a weird spot , so it didn't cool the room down to my liking. The pool was the cleanest I have seen in all my travels. It was crystal clear. The grounds were spotless. The location is close to everything. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The price was good also.

This place is really no more than an overpriced roadside motel. If you are Covid careful, do not stay here. The clientele and the staff at the front desk and around the breakfast food are unvaccinated and unmasked.Hordes of people in the pool and hot tub at all hours.

The place is a revamped motel and as such it was decent, but the family that runs this place are very strong vax and Covid deniers. They did insist on serving breakfast and once I realized they were vax deniers, I decided not to eat itl

I had a wonderful stay. I was a tired traveler & was so appreciative of a last minute booking & everyone was so friendly & accommodating The room was very clean & had all the amenities needed. I have stayed there before & found it to be consistently a great stay for my needs.

Our stay at the BW Garden Villa was an absolute pleasure! From check in to check out, and everything in between. Room was great! Clean, comfortable and convenient. Staff was awesome, but special gratitude to Jo in the dining room, and Shelby in housekeeping. Both went off the charts in customer service! That kind of service is what keeps us coming back. Breakfast was hot and very good. Jo clearly loves her work. Shelby went out of her way to unlock a jammed door lock...then showed us the trick if it happened again. For people who hate stairs...no worries here! Very mild climb to second floor. Overall...a 10/10.

I have stayed here a few times and the only problem is lack of parking for guests. The guests that are towing trailers should park on the side of the building. Why should a car or motorcycle park on the side when the truck and trailer would be easier?

Clean room. Good breakfast. Tables outside to eat breakfast. Unfortunately, selfish guests decided to sit at the table for over an hour and no other guests could sit down. Bed was comfortable. A/C was easy to use and the room was easy to regulate the temperature.

We were traveling from an event so was not sure where we would stop. The team at this Best Western on 5-23-2021 were great getting us checked in and the breakfast was great. Thank you for the great customer service.

We stayed three nights. The room was cleaned well each day. The staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast was very nice and Jo, the breakfast supervisor, was especially friendly and welcoming. We didn't use the pool, but it looked clean and inviting.

Motel is right by main road. Easy access to a lot of things. VA hospital right across the street. Dutch Bros coffee in the parking lot. Fred Meyer Gas Station next door. Everything is conveniently located. Motel is clean and reasonably priced.

This place is disgusting! Globs of dark hair in the shower walls and in the bed. Dust an inch thick on the lamp and hair dryer. Carpet not vacuumed and disgusting. Bed so hard I couldn't sleep. DO NOT STAY HERE

While we were glad to get a room on short notice while passing through on a road trip, we did not have the same experience as many reviewers regarding cleanliness. The check-in staff was great. The room was just OK - it could use a refresh. The thermostat did work good. Not great beds and we ended up using a few of our own clorox wipes in places. We did not get the bagged breakfast, but that is available. Thumbs-up for being pet-friendly and having a decent pet area. We also had good wifi. Location is also close to the I-5 freeway.

Internet quit working in our room called front desk did not care, called tech support they could not resolve issue remotely I asked if they could have someone come to my room and reboot the access point manually he said it would not happen for many hours . Ran out of breakfast. Staff was rude and uncaring.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay with our puppy. From checking and checking out, all the employees were friendly and very helpful. Even in this pandemic it's nice to see everyone still trying to be smiling when it is very stressful to work in this line of work from making sure they are safe to the guests and that is amazing!

Highly recommend this Best Western. Very clean, comfortable beds, fast Internet. Looking forward to the return of breakfast dining. The premium King room has a cute shared “balcony“ for sipping wine before venturing over to Burrito Vaquero for some of the best Mexican food we have ever had! Keep coming back!

Finally a BW that is not trying to take advantage of the virus. There was a hot breakfast available to take to your room; coffee, juice, cereal, eggs, bacon and biscuits and fruit. It was a real pleasure after a terrible experience the weekend before in Portland. Probably one of the reasons they were booked solid.

I really appreciated the hot breakfast option. An employee was there to dish up their breakfast buffet in to-go containers. Something that I believe many other hotels could be doing. The front desk personal were very polite and the rooms were very clean. The only draw back is parking can be a little tight.

The hotel was older and in an area of town that is declining. The breakfast was great. The beds were comfortable. The wifi was very good, The daytime manager was very friendly as was the lady serving the nice hot breakfast

Great weekend with family Hotel was nice ! only thing is our King bed was so uncomfortable we had a hard time getting any sleep ! my sisters had a double bed room and said there beds were great ! everything else was great hot breakfast to take back to our room was one of the best breakfast we have had at a hotel

We stop in Roseburg as a half way point to visit family a few times a year. My first impression was "oh, no, race car drivers behind the building." But by late afternoon they were gone and the rest of the time spent there was very comfortable. Clean room, easy access to car, good breakfast, friendly staff.

On check-in I was told I had to present my Best Western Reward discount at check-out the next morning meaning I had to once again enter the Lobby and interact with the Clerk. When checking out I waited over 15 minutes while the clerk helped out in the kitchen. On top of all that, the television would not work. When I contacted the desk they told me to unplug the set and reset it. Not to difficult an operation once I had crawled underneath the desk to find the plug. Unfortunately that did not solve the problem .

This place is awesome. Every employee I encountered during my stay was an absolute joy to deal with. do not under estimate the power of great customer service. IT carries a lot of weight, expecially in this day of corporate minimal effort hotel chains.

My husband and I spent our wedding night in the spa suite, and it was beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for couples wanting a romantic night. They left rose petals everywhere and chocolates on the bed. The breakfast was hot and delicious and we were so thankful that they had breakfast despite COVID! Very friendly staff. We had the best stay at best western.

This is a convenient and modest accommodation that has never disappointed. The staff is wonderful and the rooms just fine. This is an especially accessible location in town compared to other hotels, access to and from restaurants and a short hop for deliveries (during covid) make it nice. The pool and hot tub are clean, and when I have traveled with a dog they have been very accommodating.

Great BW experience. Clean room. Quiet. Pool and hot tub still were available. Grill available for people to use. Loved the breakfast and thankful for the COVID adjustments. Made me feel more comfortable.

Very clean and easy to check in. Prompt service with a small problem. Easy to acess main road and countess food and shopping opportunities abound. Beautiful parks and places to walk close to rivers and also Wildlife Safari was a very close.

Road noise, cold shower, postage stamp sized bathroom. Grumpy check in clerk. Deceptive photos in advertisements. Save yourself 50% and stay at the 6. The room was passably clean but it did not inspire me to relax Covid sanitation measures. It's a hard pass.

Over all our stay was great. Breakfast was good, the normal continental breakfast you would normally see, our room was pretty clean, the pool stays open tell 11pm that was a plus for our stay :) the kids enjoyed it. The only thing would we ran into was no available parking spaces in the parking lot when we returned from a day out, & a shortage of lounng chairs, table & chairs in the pool area.

We were able to check in early, the people were awesome. The room was spotless & smelled great, no smoke. Will definitely stay there again, can't say enough about the fantastic service. The breakfast was hot & had quite a variety of selections to eat. Tables were clean & area well maintained. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs to stay there. We will be back for a wedding next year & be staying at this motel.

Great place to stay. The manager was funny and he showed personal interest in each of his guests. Even remembered my name and greeted me when I saw saw him by the pool the next day. When I told him that I appreciated him and that I was enjoying my stay, instead of taking credit, he praised the staff. It makes all the difference when a leader can guide a team to work together toward one goal. Customer service was their aim and they didn't have to spell it out. It was obvious from our arrival. The slate entrance floors in both of our rooms were filthy. Obviously they had not been washed or sanitized in a long while. With 2 kids under 3, this was very unsettling. I had to hand wash them as there was no cleaning help at 5 pm.

Great staff, good food, comfortable rooms, nice area for pets, easy location to roam around town, easy access from I5. We did not use the pool, but it looked nice and was clean. The maintence man Gage has grown incredible hydrangeas that just make you happy when you see them. They are all along the first floor of the hotel - just incredible color and size!

Spent the night here on July 24th and couldn't have been more pleased. Great service at check-in. Everyone was so friendly and helpful including the maids and the people serving breakfast. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Seemed like a full hotel, but it was really quiet at night. Pool area was great - clean and well supplied with towels and even sunscreen. Breakfast was excellent, even though it wasn't self-service because of COVID-19. If we're ever back down in Roseburg, we'll stay here again! Highly recommend for those visiting Wildlife Safari.

Check in and check out was fast & friendly. The overall room was small as well as the bathroom & vanity area. It was very clean. The bed was ok, but the pillows were not. The AC struggled to keep the room cool. It was quiet even though it is close to the roadway. Gas station and Dutch Bros next door was a plus. Overall, it was a good place to spend one night.

We took our 2 granddaughters for a trip to visit wildlife safari and stayed at Garden Villa Best Western. The staff was super friendly, all masked, and super helpful. The rooms were updated, clean, very nice. Microwave and nice size fridge. We had a 2 double bed. Breakfast each morning was a very nice selection, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, biscuits gravy, breads, cereal, milk, juice, coffee. The staff served because of the virus. The pool area was very nice, my granddaughters were in heaven. Right off I-5 and restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Will definitely go back.

My family and I stayed here for one night on our way to Wildlife Safari. I chose this hotel from the pictures of the pool mostly, as Covid-19 in our area still has our pool closed, and because while living with in-laws for the past three months, we needed to get away! Hence the trip to Wildlife Safari. Check in was easy, the gentleman working the front desk was very friendly and attentive. The rooms are smaller as this is older hotel, but despite this, despite it being a Friday night, and choosing the first floor...we did not hear too much of our neighbors above or next to us. The amenities in the room were standard items but I can't lie, and say I didn't love the Coconut smell of the little travel lotion in the bathroom. The beds in the room were ok. Typical spring mattress type, the pillows were good, not those overly soft puffy type that offer zero support! From the website it appeared all two bedrooms, rooms were only doubles, so my husband and I just let our kids sleep with us in order to have more space. The shower and tub was nice, deeper tub than most places and the water pressure and temp good. They serve breakfast I. The morning, good array of choices, and they even let you eat in your room. And....finally the pool. Cute little peanut or kidney shaped pool, 3ft to 9ft, not heated, and outside in the middle of the complex. The pool though busy still had plenty of space with most adults sunbathing while kids swam. They also have a cute covered spa but it was 80+ degrees and after a refreshing dip in the pool, I didn't want to get warm. Overall I would stay again if I was in the area. I can't rave about the rooms, since they're pretty standard but this place was a good price, people working were very friendly, and my kids and I loved the pool!

Wow... What a little hidden Gem!!! Super Hotel, great layout, great pool and hot tub, fantastic room, and superb location. The friendly staff were so helpful and generous. The front desk clerk was so nice and helpful, she even moved her car for me to able to park my truck for the evening....great experience and stay.

Fantastic price, clean rooms, awesome details like sunblock samples at the pool and a great hot breakfast, very pet friendly and a sweet little dog walking area. Most impressive was the great customer service! Ryan was awesome and made us feel so welcome with our large family it's not always easy or budget friendly to find a place to stay the night but this place exceeded all our expectations and will be our new favorite place in roseburg!

Great location and the room was very clean! A bonus was having a 'sterilized' TV remote in the new CV19 whirled. The front desk was Very friendly and very accommodating. Also, the hot (served) breakfast was fantastic!

This is a good option if you looking to save money. It does have an on-site laundry, but this is more of an extended stay style hotel, as in there are people that live here full time. It is of the older style hotels, drive up to door.

Warm friendly staff. Breakfast with real plates and cups, no paper. Good Thai place to eat a short walk away. We left an apple tablet which they found and are mailing back to us. The air conditioner was a little loud but didn't interfere with a good nights sleep.

My husband and I were going through on our way to visit relatives. After a long day of driving we just planned on going to get a bowl of soup for dinner and once we checked in the staff member told us she was just getting ready to set up some soup and snacks for the guests for the evening. It was PERFECT!! and the breakfast the next morning was a wonderful variety and the special extra there were REAL plates (not paper) and real coffee mugs (though throw away was an option if you wanted to take it with you) My husband and I felt that was a nice touch.

Easy access from I-5, clean and quiet. Very good breakfast with above average selection of hot and cold items. Staff competent and friendly. Good well-lit pet area. A nice touch being given a list of nearby restaurants and recommendations. Would certainly stay here again.

This is an older property wedged between the freeway and the parking lot of a large plaza. We asked for a quiet room and got room 116. You could hear the freeway noise through the walls and windows, as well as a pickup behind us that kept revving its engine while waiting for someone. The hotel mgmt could not do anything because it's not hotel property. Finally got some sleep using 3 sleep aids: 1) earplugs 2) leaving the aircon unit on 'fan only' all night to create white noise 3) clonazepam - great for emergencies like this one. I don't know what the other choices in Roseburg are like, we will avoid it in future.

Last minute check in. The staff was super friendly and accomodated us with no problems. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was especially clean and I enjoyed a nice clean shower there. Breakfast was good as well. There was a good selection of food to choose from. We would stay there again.

This is a great place to stay. Hotel was very clean and was easily accessed from I-5. The room was quiet and the breakfast was very good with lots of different options. The price was very reasonable also.

Very easy to get to. Adequate parking with good lighting. Parking lot in good repair. No problem getting ground floor rooms. Big signs directing you to the ice machine. Welcomed with loyalty gift, fresh cookies, soup, and fresh popcorn. Very friendly staff. Check in was very smooth. Rooms are a little older and TV is a little smaller but comfy and cozy.

Took a quick overnight trip and decided to stay at best western. Great people work there and couldn't be more helpful! We were in town for a concert so we're had a late check in, but we're offered the option to check in on line the day before. That a perfect. The price was right, too!

i use this motel 2 -3 times a year for work trips. it's always a great stop for me. I do alot of travel for work. this one always brings a smile. Very nice place to hang your hat for a week or so. good food and stores close by also.

Stayed here after a long day on the road in wet weather and found this place very very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Even though it is close to the Interstate a very quiet Hotel. Rooms are pretty clean and the appearance of the outside is good. Some pride taken here in the Hotel. Soup and Chocolate Chip Cookies were very good on arrival. Breakfast was very good with plenty of selection. Would stay again if passing by.

I would recommend this Best Western. It provides hot soup and popcorn in the evening and there is an amazing breakfast. Walking distance of some shopping, the dollar tree, Pier 1, Ross should you have forgotten anything

Very last minute trying to find a place to stay for the night that also did cash payments and this place was so welcoming and kind I absolutely would recommend anyone to stay here plus so close to shopping!!

We were in town for a Surprise Birthday Party, the Best Western was in a central location for all of the events that we attended. Close to shopping, wineries, dining & travel necessities. Staff were helpful and quick with any requests that we made. Should the need arise, we will stay there again.

We stayed only one night but could not have felt more welcomed when we arrived. The manager, Ryan, was very friendly and accommodating and made sure all our needs were met. Ashley, was very helpful when we checked out the next morning. I liked the layout of the hotel and decor and the breakfast room was cheery with wonderful breakfast selections. Thank you!

Close to the highway with plenty of restaurants nearby. While this hotel is older, it was clean and comfortable. The staff were both pleasant and welcoming and the breakfast was a great way to start the day.

We like to stay in Roseberg because it half way between our home and Seattle. This time we stayed at the Best Western garden villa. It was wonderful. The people were so nice and courteous the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back. have been a REWARDS member for years. asked for a late checkout of 30 minutes, was denied due to hourly housekeeping members being lazy and choose not to let us stay 1/2 hour longer to shower and clean up. front desk was NO HELP they had no authority (really??) to determine that and manager not around, (go figure) will never use this location again.

Easy off & on Interstate 5. Convenient to fuel, shopping, restaurants. Clean, quiet, pet friendly, cordial & competent staff, all facilities in good working condition, comfortable surroundings in lobby & dining area, spacious parking area.

We stay at this motel once a year as we drive from Seattle to Ashland, Oregon. The rooms are quiet, very clean, with comfortable beds, good wifi., and there are chips and dip or fresh cookies in the evening and a good breakfast in the morning.

We decided to stay here for a leisure trip to Roseburg. It's convenient location was great so close to shopping, restaurant and the mall. Staff was friendly and rooms were clean. I'm so thankful they let us check in early as we were coming from out of town with a toddler who spilled a drink on her shirt so it was nice to be able to clean her up and change her clothes before going out. Totally appreciated that. Our room was 124 , king spa suite which was right next to the off ramp of the freeway. Surprisingly the room was quiet but we did have the fan going constantly for air flow. We picked this hotel for ease of location to amenities and the other reviews mentioned the comfortable beds. That would be my main complaint. The bed was awful, way too firm and not comfortable at all. Didn't sleep well due to that. You could feel under the carpet the uneven floor boards, some being much higher than others as well as soft spots in the flooring. There was a bow up of the floor in the sink area which was very noticeable. The bathroom was small and the odd placement of the toilet paper rolls made you have to squeeze your arm in to sit on the toilet. I would suggest to management to move this to another location for convenience. I felt the room was overpriced for comfort. I wish I'd known how bad the beds were as it would have been worth paying an extra $30 to stay up the road at Hampton Inn. This will factor into our decision for our next trip to Roseburg. I took a picture of the floor but it's hard to tell in the photo I captured. However you can see in the background how close the TP roll is to the toilet.

This Best Western is way above some of the others we have stayed at. In there lobby they have fresh baked cookies, soup that was very good, crackers and fresh hot popcorn they pop right there in there cute machine. I am a popcorn lover so this much appreciated. Also fresh coffee, cold water and tea. Loved all of this even tough we just had a cookie and popcorn. Keep up the good work. The staff was very friendly and Erma that cleaned our room did an excellent job. CUDOS!

Being originally from the area, I was apprehensive at first as the motel is an older building. But after looking at the online pictures, and some of the reviews (and knowing the reputation of Best Western), decided to take a chance. It also helps they take direct billing for state employees. I was impressed with the service, the modern rooms, etc. Rooms are a tad small, but is probably due to the age of the building. Still, every thing in them was modern. I would gladly stay here again, thanks for making my stay a pleasant one =>

Stayed 3 nights. Front desk personnel were all very friendly and helpful. Nice lobby, coffee available all day, popcorn, chips and salsa and cookies in the evening available. Room spotless with fridge and microwave. Nice chair with ottoman for sitting. Breakfast was hot and fresh. Sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, make-your-own waffles, pastries, toast, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee. Was a little concerned about traffic noise as it is literally next to the I5 off ramp but it was very quiet for sleeping.

This hotel may be rated a 2 star hotel on Google but I would definitely return to this hotel. It was clean, the rooms & beds were comfortable & offered free breakfast. Best of all, the room rates were reasonable.

The rooms were clean and modern, the staff helpful, ample parking close to the rooms and big breakfast selection and it's right off the I-5. Also, snacks in the lobby during the evening, popcorn, cookies, etc. were a nice touch.

The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is good, always hot and plenty of selections. Easy on and off the freeway, close to shopping and restaurants. We have stayed here for many years to visit our family. They have an outdoor pool and plenty of seating.

It was a nice place to stop for the night. The had a nice Breakfast in the morning. The only thing that was wrong, was the roll away bed mattress was like springs. The king bed was nice. I would stay here again if we were in the area.

This has been a regular stop for us over the past ten years when traveling I-5 between our home near Vancouver and the southern U.S. The Garden Valley Inn is conveniently located close to the freeway, and Roseburg has all a good selection of amenities -gas, groceries, restaurants. Our experience at this hotel has always been excellent. We are happy to recommend it .

Very comfortable room and very clean. It was pet friendly tool as we alwaysb travel with our two small dogs, a Westie and a mini dachshund. The bes and pillows were very comfortable. The restaurant close to hotel was very good also.

Very nice location, splurged got the hot tub well worth it large spacious room, very comfortable bed, excellent ac came with fridge and microwave, close to alot of eateries, very nice staff, for the money can not go wrong!!

The hotel really a hidden gem: the room is in almost perfect condition (just remodeled?), the towels were folded & organized nicely! Only issue: the AC is noisy, we had to turn it off in order to be able to sleep.

Very nice, the new remodel is great, Team members were very nice and helpful, the arrival choose of snacks was great, I stall at many BW's this one has gone above, Price for value is on point! Great Thai restaurant next door! and Dutch Bros. across the Parking lot entrance. What more could you ask fore!

in all the hotel room and staff were excellent but the parking area sucks, over all that i would stay there again if they fix there parking situation. the rooms were very clean and the do comadate your needs. there was one other thing i didnt get was handicapp room

This is a very easy to access hotel, very clean. Staff was top notch even the cleaning service. Very nice continental breakfast, food was hot and well maintained. In the same parking lot as shopping center, so very convenient. Abbys pizza delivers there, and my overall experience was totally excellent.

I was delighted how pleasant this location is, getting to it winds though a sea of asphalt and buildings, but having to stay post-medical procedure, it was really pleasant by the pool and I could sleep in the daytime, the room darkened well, in bright August sunlight. This is a typical Best Western. An older updated place but very clean and comfortable. Our room was nicely furnished and had everything we needed. Location is convenient and easy to find. We are happy to recommend this hotel.

Nice courteous check in folks, clean room, large room, good quality bed, decent price, easy access from I-5, close to fuel, food and some shopping. Lots of parking spaces. We did not partake in their breakfast. Good place to stay.

We had never stayed in Roseburg before & picked the BW as we have stayed in many over the year. It is an older Inn, however all updated and very clean. The breakfast was incredible and the use of real plates and silverware a bonus! We ventured to The Parrot Inn for dinner and had a very nice experience in a delightful historic setting.

We stay here once a year to visit family. Always a pleasant experience. Continental breakfast, snacks at night and an outdoor pool. Rooms are clean and everything was in working order. Staff was helpful. Breakfast eating area is small so plan ahead.

This experience was the BEST! Right off I-5, close to Fred Meyer gas and store, plus nice selection of restaurants close too. Check-in with Shawna was perfect! We needed a ground floor room - no problem! She made fresh hot popcorn to enjoy, baked up some fresh peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies, plus chips and salsa! Yum, and so nice! The pool and hot tub were open until 11:00, and all was clean with well-stocked towels. Shawna helped adjust the music selection and has the BEST personality! So nice, and a real sweetheart! The room was wonderful - cozy beds; clean, clean, clean everything, artistic towel folding was fun, and there were plenty of supplies. The TV worked great, and there were plenty of selections and variety there too. Used the wifi - easy! Oh, and the fridge and microwave worked fine - kept our salmon cold overnight! :) Breakfast was fabulous! Everything was fresh and hot! I tried the scrambled eggs - fluffy and light, the sausages were fine, and the potatoes were perfect! You could make a burrito too - but making smallish waffles was easy to accomplish, and were delicious too! Plenty of fruit, breakfast "garnishes" - raisins, nuts, etc, plus juice and just too much to remember, but plenty to enjoy! The breakfast room was clean and bright, well staffed with friendly folks who kept everything filled up and yummy! This deserves an "excellent" rating - friendly, sharp folks working to make this a really great choice to spend the night at! Will definitely stop at Roseburg again!

Check-in was easy and staff friendly. There were free cookies & popcorn and the pool was open till 11 pm. Hot Breakfast was included the food was good with a good variety to choose from. The room was clean and well-kept the shower worked great and the beds were conformable. Wildlife safari was only 10 min away. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again next time we go to wildlife safari park.

Excellent place to stay close to the interstate and all amenities .Had the breakfast in the morning was really good had lots of selection would stay here again all the staff was great and responded quickly if i needed anything,

We were traveling north and needed a place to stay overnight. The first motel we tried was filled up, so this was our second attempt. I asked for a "quiet" room, as I am a light sleeper. They placed us in a nice room at the end of a corridore, at the top of the stairway. Very quiet room, and a nice comfortable bed. And a free breakfast to top it off!

We recently stayed here while on our way to Ashland. The kids loved the outdoor pool and the hot tub was great too. Staff super friendly and helpful. Free cookies, chips n salsa and popcorn in the lobby til 9pm. Room was very clean. Definitely would stay here again

This hotel provided everything we needed from a pit stop during our road trip: high speed free internet, TV, cable, hot shower, clean beds, clean rooms, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hair dryer, hot breakfast, ice machine, hot and cold drinks, cereal, midnight snack, plenty of big fluffy clean towels, free parking.

Family loved this place! Pool, breakfast, staff, room, and location was fantastic! Close to restaurants and grocery stores as well. We appreciated the gluten free options for breakfast. They had cookies, popcorn, and chips/salsa in the lobby all day (kids loved it).

We enjoyed the stay at this hotel. Every aspect of the stay was perfect except for the size of the beds. I don't think using double beds in a room for four people is adequate. We would rethink using this hotel again because of that even though everything else was great.

My favorite hotel to stay at on my way south. Not a big hotel, but quaint. Right off I5, but you can't hear the noise from the freeway. Good breakfast. Very friendly help. They already know my name since I stay there several times a year. The hotel was remodeled this winter including the pool

Stopped early after a full day of driving, and were pleased we chose this BW property. Check in service was excellent. When I asked the start time of breakfast and indicated we may be gone by 6 AM, they offered to open early (0530) for us. And they did just that. Room was comfortable after we got the temperature down with the AC. Beds were a little soft for us, but all else was good. The strongest point of staying here was the excellent service. Thanks to all who helped.

The kids loved the complimentry snacks in the lobby, the pool and hot tub! We love how close in proximity of just about everything a traveler could need. Staff was extremely helpful, friendly and attentive to our needs whether it was our room or pool area. First wedding anniversary is in the books!

We enjoyed an excellent stay at the Roseburg Oregon Best Western! Our room was squeaky clean and very nicely appointed! They had a fabulous pool which was stocked with fresh towels. The Breakfast was delicious and there was even outdoor seating for the summer travelers.

Staff at this location was all very friendly and welcoming. The grounds are very well maintained. There is a pool and a small gazebo that you could use. It is an "old style" motel where you park your car in front of your room and enter directly from outside. It was quiet even though the inn was pretty full the night we stayed there. We were in Rm 124, which can be used as a suite. Decor was quite nice. It was nicely appointed with a table and two chairs in addition to the desk and desk chair. There was also a whirlpool tub in the room. The bathroom was small (toilet and tub/shower) and the toilet paper holders were so close to the toilet that you bumped them with your arm. We ended up taking the paper off the holders to give us a few more inches of space. Very odd placement. King size bed was comfortable. There was some traffic noise but nothing that kept us awake. Breakfast was generous with many options. Staff was diligent about keeping it stocked. We had one problem. There were many flies in our room. During our twelve hour stay my husband killed at least 40 flies. There were no unusual odors in the room and it was very clean when we arrived. But flies were on the window curtains and on the shower curtains. When we told staff about it at checkout, they said they would have maintenance look into it. Despite that minor problem, I would definitely recommend this comfortable, welcoming hotel.

We had an amazing experience with our stay. Employees were so kind and truly cared. Housekeeping and front desk, listened and helped to make this a great visit. Pool was so clean and nice. Room was very clean and nice. We will be coming back again.

Visiting the animal park in Winston. Chose this BW for close access. This property has been updated and is well maintained. While close to freeway noise was not a problem. Good staff and the breakfast items more than met our needs. We were very pleased with this hotel.

This property is an older one, but very clean and well kept. Close to I-5, but not noisy. I will be staying here on my longer trips because it is right where I need to stop for the day. Very good value and the hot breakfast is good.

Previous storage room converted to a "accessible" room. Toilet room had a walker to use for getting up/down off toilet. Shower/bath separate from toilet room. Cabinet under sink didn't meet ADA requirements for a wheelchair. Window looked out on dumpster, which was emptied about 3:00am. Terrible room, should never be offered to anyone and should not be priced as it was.

The Best Western in Roseburg, Oregon is perhaps older than some. It was so well kept up and was spotless when we checked in. The "double sheeting" on the top blanket/quilt is something we always find exceptional. Not many hotels/motels do this.

We stayed at the Garden Villa for a tennis tournament. Location was close to Tennis center. The soup, popcorn and cookies were very welcome after a day of tough matches. The hot breakfast was one of the best I have experienced with hot eggs, bacon, waffle machine to yogurt and cereal choices. Clean rooms, helpful front office staff. We would stay again!

Not sure how this one night stay could have been worse. Firstly, the property is a bit dated, but conveniently located close to I-5. Being woken at 2:30 in the morning with banging on the door and a shout of "MAINTENANCE" wasn't appreciated. Thankfully I had the chain on the door, or they would have barged right in. They said they didn't know the room was occupied. ?? Never the less, who goes around shouting and banging on doors in the middle of the night? Then, while taking a shower, the power went out. So, had to finish getting ready in the dim light, which also meant no hot breakfast. Couldn't get out of there fast enough.

This hotel was a nice experience, probably the best staff I have ever had! Even though this property is close to freeway our room was nice and quiet. My wife got a craving for popcorn at night so I went to lobby and popcorn machine was almost empty and I asked gal in lobby and she gave me two bags of microwave popcorn! We will stay here again!

This stay over hit the spot. Arrived late and the lobby offered complimentary Chicken Noodle Soup, cookies and popcorn, the perfect late night snack before snuggling into the comfortable bed. Very clean, staff was amazing, no problems. Didn't have a chance to tour the surrounding area because we were up at dawn and on the road again. I will stay again which makes this hotel a thumbs up!

Great hotel off the I-5. Staff was excellent. The ice machine was outside our door but not an issue. Hot tub was great and so was the breakfast. Would definitely stay here again. My last stay was approx. 25 years ago. Good then and good now.

Everything about this Best Western met with our approval. It was clean, friendly and staffed with personnel that really seemed to care about their guests. We also appreciated their "treats" in the evening that kept us from going back out to find a restaurant after a long day of driving.

Not worth the price paid at all, should have stayed at the travel lodge for half the price. Will not stay here again. Zero sleep on the rock hard mattress with flimsy pillows and the noise level was extreme. Only desirable items at breakfast buffet were some mediocre fresh fruit offerings and ittty bitty containers of yogurt.

We stayed here years ago and had an ok stay. We have stayed in many Best Westerns and find this to be one of the best. This most recent stop was more than ok. From the friendly person at check in to the pleasant room with a frig that actually froze the ice but not the food , to the expansive breakfast choices with real dishes and silverware followed by a very friendly check out...what more could you ask for? Well one of the best showers we had on the road with nice towels and very comfortable beds. And unlike another guest who was excited about coffee nearby, we were thrilled that a Starbucks was close. It won't be quite as long before we return. Definitely a good choice.

The people at this motel are what make it so special! They go out of their way to assist in any way they can. The maintenance man, Gage, is especially helpful. Doing anything and everything he could to help anyone that might need it. And, due to the extreme weather, a lot of us needed it!

We have not stayed at a Best Western Motel for many years. This Best Western was an excellent experience. Pleasant employees, VERY CLEAN ROOMS. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms small but very accommodating. Good hot breakfast and hot soup offered late afternoon. I would stay here again.

We were in transit from Canada heading to Palm Springs. The weather had been poor and needed a place before major mountain passes that still allowed us the ability to go to the Coast I'd serious weather. Proved to be a good move as Siskiyou was very risky with periodic closure. Front desk person was extremely helpful in providing accurate information as I believe she also does dispatch work with the local fire department. Gave us directions to take safer route to 101. Was a lovely drive although not as fast as I-5 was safe. Breakfast was good but mainly hotel was very clean and well run.

Luke warm water. Smelled like dog pee. No maid service....when we complained they accused us of leaving DND card on door. We specifically remembered removing it as we had to use keycard to open the door to put it back in the room. We were in town because our daughter was in the hospital there. We left the hotel at 9 am and returned at about midnight...long enough for room service!!

This really was an amazing hotel, definitely a hidden gem. Super clean and very friendly staff. The hotel is right on the freeway, but you really wouldn't know as the rooms are very quiet. My son and I had a pleasant stay. The room we had was surprisingly spacious (wish all hotel rooms were that large)! Water in shower was always warm and had great pressure. The breakfast Sunday morning was large and had a good variety and was kept super clean. And best thing? You're literally 50 feet from Dutch Bros coffee!! This may be odd to point out, but the outside stairs to the second flooos were very nice! They weren't too steep, were a great width, and was easy to walk up. I mention this because my parents have a hard time with stairs and as I was taking these steps to our room I thought to myself ‘wow, even mom could handle these without a problem'. Only issues: the overhead lights flickered (even when off) but that was liveable. The alarm clock was possessed (went off throughout the night making white noises and it was never set). And the heater/AC unit was VERY loud, running throughout the night. These three things combined are the only reasons I didn't give 5 star rating.

The staff that we interacted with were excellent and very professional. The hotel not so we expected more of a Best Western at least of others that we have stayed in. This is an older Hotel, they may say they are upgrading. However the King room we stayed in the bathroom was old ant tiny. New tiles cannot really be said as an upgrade at least in the unit we had. felt like an older early 80 style establishment. Used points for one of 2 nights that was a mistake. Would not stay here again.

From the minute we entered we felt Wecomed and valued! And so did our dog! It is about time dog people (and their dogs)were treated with respect. Add to this - free hor soup, homemade cookies, popcorn and doggie biscuits! We drive longer just to get to Roseburg!

Our stay was great and the staff and food were excellent and delicious. We were on our way back home to Salinas, CA after celebrating our 30th anniversary in Victoria Canada at the Harbor Best Western for a week.

Hotel really easy to find. Shana provided us with great customer service - super friendly and so helpful when needed. Pool was closed but thankfully the hot tub was still operating so grand kids could play. We had a craft project and Shana allowed us to use the tables in the breakfast area. From 5-9 pm, they have popcorn, hot chocolate, cookies, and even hot soup! A great stay! Definitely recommend.

The management here are doing everything they can to make the property a continue improvement project. They have a professional staff and when there is something you have a concern with they do everything they can to make it right. I will use this facility again and look forward to seeing the improvement they come up with next

After trying some of the budget choices in this area over the past few years, I chose the Villa Inn for this year's stay based on recommendations from locals. This Best Western has been here for decades, but recently underwent complete renovation--from facade to room interiors; it's like an entirely new structure. It's located right off the interstate (but my room was delightfully quiet), in a shopping center that includes surprisingly good Indian and Mexican restaurants (the Thai place had a fast food/Subway vibe, so I didn't try it), several discount stores (e.g., Dollar store, TJ Maxx), and a convenient gas station. My stay was 12 days. Check-in was professional and friendly. I had neglected to specify a 2nd floor room when I reserved online, but the woman at the counter quickly checked with housekeeping and verified the availability of a room on the 2nd floor and accomodated my preference. The room is small (how much space do I really need to sleep in?), but very well laid out with queen bed, chair + ottoman, generously sized TV (with a large array of cable channels), dorm-sized fridge (larger than "mini"), microwave, iron + ironing board, coffee maker and hair dryer. A big plus is the outrageous number of electrical outlets--each lamp (1 desktop and 2 beside) provides 2, and the desk has 3 more (making 9 conveniently located outlets without counting the more conventional wall mounts near the floor). Charging multiple devices simultaneously is no problem, and the free wifi was strong and steady. Special kudos to Celia and Sam (names provided on hospitality cards) in housekeeping: no other room I've stayed at in the Roseburg area has come anywhere near the standard of cleanliness here! Carpet, bathroon and surfaces were unfailingly clean, coffee/tea supplies and toiletries always replenished, and abundant towels were always provided. The work you do makes all the difference in the quality of a guest's stay, and I sincerely appreciate the superlative attention my room received! The only quibble I can come up with is that the tub drain was slow, so I found myself standing in ankle-deep water by the end of my shower. This is a very small nit to pick, though! This motel offers a free breakfast and evening refreshments (including hot soup during my October stay) which I did not try, and the pool area was, of course closed for the season, so I can't comment on these aspects. Summary: the Villa Inn checks all the boxes: clean, quiet, attentively serviced and reasonably priced. I'll be staying here on future visits to Roseburg.

Used this hotel as a base for a weekend trip to visit Crater Lake and waterfalls of the North Umpqua. Staff was friendly, room was clean, breakfast was better than many other hotels. Generally appearance is a bit dated, but hotel overall seems to be managed fairly well. Also, the thai place next door is very good for take out dinner!

I was traveling from Port Angeles, Washington to Fresno, California on my motorcycle. I stopped here for the night and was very glad I did. Staff were very friendly upon check in and the room was very nice, clean and comfy. They even set out a bucket of handy items next to my motorcycle for me to use in the morning. Nice touch!

We've stayed here before. It's right off the freeway and near food and shopping. The hotel was very accommodating and got us a room on the ground floor right near the office for my disabled mother-in-law, so that was really great. The area feels safe and secure. They have a pool, but we did not use it this visit. Complimentary cookies and chips in the office. Nice staff. The breakfast is not as nice as other Best Westerns I have stayed at, but I was adequate. I wish they had already-made oatmeal rather than instant packets you have to prepare yourself, but that is a minor quibble. Nice, comfortable room.

We had stayed here before and found the desk staff very nice and helpful. We enjoyed the snacks in the lobby -- chips and salsa, popcorn, and fresh cookies in the evenings. The breakfast staffer was amazing -- she has clearing dishes the minute someone left his table, asking if we needed anything, and answering requests almost immediately. The manager runs a tight ship and was extremely helpful with unusual requests. We really enjoyed our stay at the Roseburg Garden Villa because of the great persons working there. We appreciated the redecorating and the newly redone bathroom as well.

Great place to stay after driving I5 all day. All the rooms surround the pool. They have sunscreen available to guests on the tables by the pool. Continental breakfast, wifi, t.v., nice shower and comfy beds. We had to do some laundry on our trip and they had two washers and dryers. Don't forget the quarters for the machines.

Very clean accommodation. Reasonable rate. Professional, courteous staff on all shifts. Perfect for us when travelling through the area. Within walking distance of 4 restaurants. Snacks in the office from 5 to 10 pm. Outside pool, small spa/hot tub, guest laundry, quiet for sleeping. Highly recommend!

Started with working staff at the front desk. Employee's name was Shana. Very professional, personable, efficient. She explained all of our questions in a professional manner. Our room was very clean, and the room was at a nice temperature. It was pretty warm outside that afternoon. We had no problems at all.

We stayed here for two days this summer with our 85 lb Italian Mastiff puppy (Cane Corso, if you want to get specific). We wanted to go to the Wildlife Safari (which doesn't allow pets for obvious reasons), but were worried about leaving our puppy in their outdoor kennels because of the triple digit heat. We would much prefer to leave her crated in the air conditioned hotel room for the 2 or 3 hours it would take, but most hotels won't let you do that. We spoke to the front desk about it, and they were totally cool with it! They just asked that we leave the do not disturb sign on the door so housekeeping didn't get a surprise. We also left them with our phone number in case our puppy decided to make a nuisance of herself. We were grateful for the accommodation, and I'm sure our puppy was much happier than she would have been had we taken her to the park.

Very nice facility for the cost, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone coming through the area on a bike trip, or for any other reason (grin, wink). The staff was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable of the area. They had several suggestions for nearby places to eat (we went with the Thai). I got a big kick out of waking up to a "cleaning kit" sitting next to my bike in the morning. Such a nice touch and completely unexpected (not to mention, my scooter REALLY needed it) We'd definitely include this BW in our route planning for our next trip through Oregon. "So many roads so little time."

If you have pets, want a clean, friendly, accommodating stay in Roseburg that goes above and beyond for their guest, do yourself a favor and stay here. I ended up needing a long-term but temporary room for about 3 weeks and it was truly a home away from home. Roomy and comfy, exceptionally quiet rooms and grounds, even with weekend weddings. Ryan the manager runs a great place and his staff clearly respect him and the facility. Big breakfast, coffee always, cookies and salsa and chips every night at 5:00 for free, perfect! Was at the neighboring Days Inn first and had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE- CHEAPER MEANS NOTHING and these guys are flexible in their discounts. Spent a week at Holiday Inn before the Best Western and I'd take this over that any day, I don't need to pay more for a river view of the homeless camps. Best Western is very convenient to gas, groceries, and food also.

This BW is easily located off the freeway close to gas, shopping and not far from restaurants. It has a swimming pool and laundry facilities. The room was very clean and spacious with a refrigerator, microwave and a side chair. There is a breakfast room near reception. Breakfast choices included scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, mini cinnamon rolls, yogurt, cereal, coffee, OJ, toast and you can make waffles.

This is a re write of an earlier review as we wished to EDIT following our experiences with Best Western Roseburg Oregon 97471. It's expensive for what it claims to be, and we're DOWNGRADING a circle based on their lack of 'responsiveness to concerns'. Firstly, the 'bricks n mortar' or bones of the motel are good. Room, although small was ok for one night, everything worked, WiFi strong, bed comfy, clean tidy...no room to open the luggage racks, a VERY small space on the 2nd story, up steep 2 flights of stairs. Breakfast was the standard motel high sugary type, mainly carbs, and nothing for a dairy free diet, but decaf coffee was free and available during our stay and much appreciated. We did enjoy the corn chips and salsa when we checked in. It's not all poor. This could be a great property? However: We booked as seniors, received the rate as such, were given an inappropriate room on 2nd floor no elevator, no parking at the foot of the landing, and we expressed our concerns at check in & again AFTER schlepping heavy bags up 2 flights of stairs left a message using room phone, all ignored. Our review on T A, also mentioned the inappropriate 2nd story room. (since removed so we could RE WRITE), Manager Mr Sandhu replied on T A, but never through his corporate channels, saying NOTHING about our concerns! He congratulated his staff calling them wonderful. Sung their praises! He said our review on T A was POSITIVE? Let us set the matter STRAIGHT, here and now in the EDITED version: It's NOT a positive review, SIR. Minimalizing our feelings of being placed at risk by very steep stairs, by NOT acknowledging our REAL experience seemed unfeeling, even insulting. This was our first stay at the Garden Villa Inn, a comfortable, well-appointed BW hotel. The staff was friendly and efficient, the breakfast satisfying with sufficient choices, and the room a bit smaller than other BW's we've stayed in, but we were well pleased and refreshed at the end of our stay.

larger full bath for suit rooms, a much MUCH larger bathroom, we could not even use it it was so small and disconferting .. a bed that isnt hard as stone so we could actually sleep, we needed to leave EARLY due to how bad it was. a better arrangement for the tv and bed, we had to stand or sit on the floor to watch tv right and it was so far away from the bed we couldn't much use it. and the AC hardly worked, it was HOT out and the room, never got bellow 80.. i would rather like a refund, it was one of the worst places i ever spent my time, and the breakfast was gross as well and not filled on much anything..

I rarely rate a hotel "excellent" but this hotel was VERY close to that rating. We stayed there for 4 days and did not have any issues. It was VERY clean, had a GREAT breakfast and the staff was VERY accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. If I ever return to Portland, I will stay at this hotel.

This was just an overnight stay on the way through to Crater Lake. Must say we were a bit concerned upon arrival given outside nature of the hotel and proximity to the I5 but it ended up being fine. Room was comfortable, aircon worked fine and also drowned out any traffic noise. Staff were friendly and the basic breakfast was ok to get us started. Wouldn't want stay more than 1 night but suited our purposes.

The good: everything inside the room works, shower is good, bed comfortable, it's clean and tidy. coffee is always free n easy even de caf! much appreciated. corn chips n salsa upon check in was nice. Fridge worked well Not so good: breakfast is VERY ordinary, couldn't find much of a dairy free nature, and it's bog standard el cheapo motel americano powdered eggs, starchy stuff, SUGARY things that we can't eat. Room was very small and slightly cramped once our baggage was placed inside. no space for luggage racks of course. (working off the floor) value? I guess this is what 120 bucks buys in Roseburg? Thoughtless and loss of circles: we checked in as seniors and paid as such: room 226 up two flights of stairs and car park NOT close to the bottom of landing. couple of OLDIES 'shlepping' baggage up n down made for difficulties. was mentioned and 'not taken on board' at check in. we did our best, but feel placed at risk as it was steep.

Pulling in and seeing all the people with dogs I was alarmed. However, as Aman was checking me in he assured me no pets were allowed in the section where we were staying. this facility was built in the late '50's as I was informed. That was when buildings were solidly constructed and sounds didn't permeate the partitions as in the newer ones. Mr. Arman also informed me that starting at 5 P.M. they had a complimentary time in the lobby for coffee and treats (our day was chips & salsa along with freshly popped popcorn). We walked into our room and found it very clean. All the staff with whom we interacted, especially Dana who came into out room when I called to say our A/C wasn't working. I had failed to see the correct setting that was in a lighter, harder to see color. The result was a sound night's sleep. This facility has two levels with no elevator. However, the incline of the steps were such that they weren't hard to climb. I had already noticed that the room had real coffee cups along with the throw away type. At breakfast I discovered they also used real plates and real utensils. Additionally, a staff member, in addition to keeping items fully stocked, walked among the visitors ascertaining they did not need anything. This was especially a nice touch seeing her helping the children trying to fix for themselves, such as the waffle iron, and that still gave the children a sense if independence from parents doing everything for them.

Very pleased with overall stay. The pool area was very clean and well maintained. The upkeep of this property was excellent. Not a it of placed leaf. Highly recommend this hotel. Good job BW. Oh, the breakfastwas right on track as always. Great value.

Less of a hotel and more a motel the room was very basic but adequate for a night. We slept well enough although the breakfast was not great. Service was good and the room was clean enough. It was also within earshot of the Interstate.

Clean comfortable room. The pillows were very soft they did not give me a neck ache. Power outlets on each side of our beds for devices. The bath room area had a low light switch for nighttime which was a very nice feature. Breakfast staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. The fact that the hotel wrapped around the interior parking like a courtyard was a nice touch of added security. Staff had buckets on hand containing supplies to clean our car windows .

Although this Best Western sets on edge of a shopping center, it is relatively quiet and comfortable. The staff like most Best Western's are friendly, attentive and professional. On this day they were serving snacks in lobby for guests between the hours of 5 and 9 PM. Rooms clean and fresh and very well appointed.

I was looking for a hotel that had a lobby and no outside entrance (separate entrance) to guest rooms, so I was a little let down when I arrived and saw that there was no lobby entrance to rooms. It felt like more of a motel than a hotel. Otherwise, the rooms were clean, the staff was extremely nice, and the food was delicious. I would stay there again and I would recommend it to others.

I have stayed here many times on business, always with my service dog. I have no choice but to have this dog with me and he is a trained service animal. This time, upon arrival, I was told that my room would need to be reassigned because they had to make sure I was in a pet friendly room. I told the check in person I would wait and they then explained that I had to have a pet friendly room to protect guests with allergies. I waited. They explained how unfair to allergy sufferers it would be to have me anywhere but a pet friendly room. I waited. They explained that as long as pet friendly rooms were still available they would be able to check me in. I explained that the last statement was, perhaps contrary to the ADA laws and that I really didn't need to know how their policies worked. On they went with more explainations of how allergy sufferers would suffer if my “animal” were allowed in a non pet room. How about this.... in the future just assign me a room, any room you like that matches what I have booked and quit with the patronizing explainations of your discriminatory policies on service animals. It's not a pet, it is not with me so I can snuggle with my furry friend! It is a service animal that allows me to be in public without unacceptable personal risk. The room was just fine. The iron leaked but no big deal. Noise outside in the night from a couple of inconsiderate guests; not usual for this location and the hotel was not to blame. Internet didn't work but again not the fault of the hotel because a large area was down that evening. Not a bid hotel. Just a poorly trained check in person.

Newly redone motel with very little room size, no privacy to bathroom. IMO it was overpriced. The motel was next to an interstate highway but the noise level wasn't to bad. Next time in the area we will try another.

Really good little Hotel right off I5 with a GREAT Thai restaurant right next door. Nothing really fancy or spectacular here but a very solid Hotel at a reasonable rate, Rooms and beds were small but very comfortable. Really good breakfast with scrambie eggs and potato's, and the lady who works the breakfast room was delightful. Staff all around was very nice. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if in the area.

Stayed one night basic room but clean, room had everything needed such as TV, microwave, fridge and even a bathroom. beds seemed a bit old but not bothersome. enjoyed the breakfast had plenty of sausage , waffle , and some fruit.

We've been before so we knew what we were getting: quiet, clean and comfortable accommodations. Strong wi-fi. Good breakfast with waffles/eggs/bacon/sausage/hash browns and lots of cold choices. Very friendly 'breakfast lady'. Attentive staff at check-in-check-out. Curiously, if you want to pay for the room in cash, they want $250 up front for security so be prepared for that.

I'll begin by saying I'm not that picky and have had to stay in some hotels out of necessity. But my wife, who was accompanying me, is very picky and she was surprised and pleased. This hotel is one of the old motor hotels with the outside entrance to your room. The room was very clean and well furnished and the bed was comfortable. There was some road noise from being next to the highway but all of the few hotels in Roseburg are along the highway. Breakfast was the usual with scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles and cold items. All in all, looks like the best option in town for now.

Anniversary trip with friends...sweet hotel...complete with the warm cookies we've come to expect from best Western. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel cared for...even giving us an anniversary card signed by the staff! It was cold January so we didn't swim but the hot tub was open. Comfortable bed, lovely clean room and the jacuzzi tub was fabulous

If you had a choice to stay at a Best Western Hotel, choose a Best Western Plus. The hotel uses 2 queens in a double room and complimentary bottled waters are given with complimentary hot buffet breakfast. Good value for your money.

I reserved our room via their website since we needed a place to stay since the following morning we were heading to Wildlife Safari. Also reading the reviews of the surrounding hotels, I decided to spend a lil more and be secure and not in a sketchy people or area. Once we arrive shy of 9pm, I was greeted by Britney who was friendly and has an infectious smile. She check us in and I also confirm if they were willing to accommodate us with a ground floor close to lobby since traveling with two small kids. She said we certainly were able to. I thanked her and was ready to depart when she offered chicken noodle soup in a crock pot, cookies and popcorn. She did say it normally ends at 9 but would hold off while I unloaded and got situated. The room is nice and comfy. Cable was great since I was able to watch the ID channel which in the other hotels it wasn't on the guide. Next morning we head to breakfast and was greeted by Genia who was cleaning the tables, clearing the plates and restocking items. She was friendly and courtesy. She kept checking on us and even took into consideration our kids asking questions and complimenting on there hats etc. She definitely made my day being a positive energy and cheering with everyone she came into contact with. Kudos to this hotel and staff. Would come back needing if I'm back in these neck of the woods

My husband and I recently stayed with our 5 month old son in the King Suite. It was perfect for travel with an infant. It had a separate sleeping area from the sitting area which allowed us to put our son to bed without disturbing him while we visited and watched television. It was clean and quiet. Overall it was a very well appointed room and was a great value for the price.

Best ever walk in experience. This is a very well run hotel, all the staff were friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay in Roseburg Oregon. Best Western is our place to stay when we're on the road.

From check in to finally relaxing for sleep, no issues. The BEST shower ( spray and force) in chain accommodations. New beds being put in all rooms, mine was superb. Room clean, even on surfaces by lights Breakfast server attentive ( items do not run out by 7 AM)

Over all my stay was good. The employees were very good, helpful, pleasant, and professional. The room is well used and could use some updating. Over all the room was clean and maintained. The breakfast was good and had several choice options. I liked the homemade soup and cookies available at check in. The only problem encountered, I was awakened several times during the night in what sounded like trash trucks picking up trash dumpsters. I don't know if this was just a random one-time occurrence or not, but it was annoying.

This is the closest hotel to the Roseburg Veterans Administration Hospital. So, it was the perfect choice for us to stay here while visiting our veteran son who was a patient. My arrival experience was warm and welcoming. Brittany was friendly and professional. Though this is an older hotel, and the exterior is a bit dated, the rooms appear to have been recently updated. The room I had was small, but had everything I needed. Thoughtful touches, like the swan holding the makeup remover, lotion, and shower cap were very welcoming. A real coffee mug was another nice touch. I look forward to staying again in a few days, with my husband, so we can visit our son again. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Roseburg VA hospital.

Visited Roseburg to take the grandkids to see the Festival of Lights and Santa's Village. Staff were friendly, warm, and very helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay there again when we return.

Great room and price. A little tricky in finding the entrance during rush hour traffic but manageable. Great nearby restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room layout is some what dated but very comfortable with a nice room sink and well lit mirror.

Friendly and helpful staff, good accommodations. Plenty of local shopping close by. Easy highway access yet very quiet in the room. Fresh popcorn at check in and excellent choice of breakfast combinations in the morning. Almost as good as being home.

I've stayed here many times, and always the front desk staff is friendly, professional, helpful. The soup is good too! It's nice that they allow pets to stay. The rooms are clean and the hotel is fairly quiet.

We arrived around 5:30 pm after a really long drive. The lady at the front desk was very welcoming and efficient. She offered us cookies and soup. We were in our room within minutes. When asked for restaurants in walking distance she had a list pre printed. The bonus was they used real plates, cups and cutlery instead of plastic and styrofoam for breakfast. Nice touch

A nice room that was quieter than expected being right next to the interstate. Clean and roomy with close access to casual dining. The heater and the fridge were quiet running too. Hard to find in rooms these days.

We landed here around supper time on Thanksgiving night. Normally there would have been stores open where we could have taken advantage of the facilities offered at this hotel for cooking, inncluding the area in the middle of the property for barbequing. However, stores were not open and we were very kindly looked after by the hotel - they supplied soup, coffee and freshly made cookies until 9 pm that night. That's in addition to the coffee always available. Had a great stay.

First off, there isnt an elevator at this hotel so we had to stay on the ground floor as my elderly mother was with me and she cant climb stairs. I prefer to stay above ground level for several reasons: parking lot noise, foot traffic at ground level is more and often louder as people are coming and going from their cars. The hotel staff were all friendly and accomodating, and the complimentary breakfast was like most at this type of hotel-neither spectacular nor terrible. The room was our issue. The toilet leaked (which we did get a slight discount for) and the linens didnt appear to be fresh. They didnt feel, look, or smell fresh. Personally, I wouldnt stay in Roseburg again for other reasons, but if I were stuck in Roseburg, I wouldnt stay here.

This hotel is a little gem in the valley. The staff is warm and friendly and they go out of their way to make your stay the best. With the proximity to the freeway and all there is to do in Roseburg you can't go wrong.

For the low price of this hotel, it was really excellent. The checkin person offered us cookies and popcorn, the breakfast person refilled our coffee cups. It was a very pleasant stay. I have no complaints

My husband and I stayed just one night on our way from Seattle to LA. Check-in staff was very friendly; our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast had hot and cold items and was a great way to start our day before the long drive ahead of us. Even though the hotel is located right off the freeway, our room was nice and quiet. Would stay here again.

Is within walking distance of many restaurants, stores and banks. Rooms are nice. Employees were extremely helpful. Working laundry room for guests. Has soup, popcorn and cookies for guests after 5 pm.

Upon check in we were offered a bowl of chicken noodle soup. Jessica was very helpful in moving us to a Jacuzzi Suite which was awesome. Breakfast was delicious. Giana, in the breakfast room, was a ray of sunshine.

This is an older two storey motel style that has been kept up and modernized. The rooms are very clean. Just off the freeway so easy access. Good restaurants nearby although they had a big pot of home made chicken soup and cookies we took to our room for supper. Very good. This is our third year using this stop on our way to Phoenix. Will definitely stay here again.

Best Western in general has good quality hotels. I would rank this hotel is one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed and certainly one of the top Best Western hotels that I have stayed. The hotel is exceptionally clean. All employees are very professional and they provide many unexpected extras. They even have hot chicken noodle soup and cookies for the evening.

From fresh chicken soup with homemade noodles to 3 kinds of warm cookies in the lobby, to pleasant and caring staff, to clean rooms with towel touches found on cruise ships, this was my best experience ever in a hotel. Even had music playing by the hot tub!

Breakfast is first rate with lots of choices and great coffee. There is some noise from the freeway - but almost all the hotels in Roseburg are right along the freeway - so it is hard to avoid that. But rooms are very clean, bed is comfortable and breakfast was perfect before getting on the road again!

We decided to stop over night in Roseburg Oregon and selected the Best Western Garden Villa Inn due mainly to the proximity to the highway. It is an older facility but the overall experience was great. Check in was quick, room was very clean and even with it being very busy it was a quiet night. Enjoyed the breakfast then back on the road. Only issue was one of the beds is needing to be replaced as there was a slight sag.

My husband and I were stopping along the way to our honeymoon and we found this awesome little hotel with great prices! We got a kind suite with a jetted tub for $110. Not bad at all! The beds were extremely comfortable. Staff was delightful and the breakfast selection was huge!

Stayed here while passing thru to go home to Idaho. Jessica gave great customer service on the phone booking as well as in person! They offer complimentary fresh cookies, popcorn and chicken soup on a brisk fall night. Check it out, you'll be glad you did!

The room was average. The sink has been upgraded to granite. There was a patch behind the bathroom door that had been some time ago and had never been painted over. There were cigarette butts outside the door even though it is a non-smoking room. The free newspaper and evening snacks were a nice addition.

It was the last night of a 17 day road trip. We stopped in Roseburg because it would be an easy drive home for us the next day. We stopped at the hotel without a reservation, but the lady behind the check-in counter quickly found us a room. The room was a typical king room and had everything we needed. The location was right off of Interstate 5 and there were several restaurants in the area. Perfect for our needs.

The Best Western Garden Villa Inn is somewhat dated (meaning smaller, outside entry rooms) but has been nicely updated, especially the reception and breakfast area. The heating/cooling system works but is an older style, and space is tight in the room. We stayed on a busy Friday night so there was considerable outside noise in the evening and again in the early morning. The breakfast was well presented, and kept recharged by the full time attendant.

Several times I have stopped at this hotel this time I was pleasently surprised at the nice improvements. The hotel has set up an area for travelers who bring their pets. The place is well landscaped with a grass area set aside of animal use. To back customers don't use the area and just let their animals go any place they want. The staff is right on up keep of the grounds as well as the rooms, making you want to come back and bring your furry friend with you.

This was our first time in Roseburg, and we were leery about the older property and low room cost. But the bed was comfortable, shower hot and strong, complementary breakfast better than average, and wifi worked well. Staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Only downside was "air freshener" used -- this wasn't needed to cover up any problems (thankfully!) and shouldn't have been used by housekeeping, Luckily it all cleared out by bedtime.

My wife and I spent the night here on our way to Crater Lake National Park within an hour and half away. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. What I did not like was the location of the room. It was tucked away in a dark corner of the motel next to an exit with an iron gate for security. That was ok till people started going through the gate and letting it slam behind them, very loud and annoying. I'm not going to downgrade the motel because of this, but we had already settled in with our luggage before the banging occurred. It did settle down later and did not become and issue with sleep, I would just not recommend the rooms close to the gate on the ground floor in NW corner. However, the continental breakfast was good and the staff was very nice. It was a pleasant stay and comfortable nights sleep.

Room was large and clean, next to off ramp but quiet, staff was very helpful I would definitely stay again. Do not let location fool you. looks like it would be noisy but it was not. The pool was clean and well maintained. Very close to shopping, you can walk there. We stayed there during the fires and their cooling system worked so well we couldn't smell any smoke.

We visit Roseburg a few times a years and always stay at this hotel. It is right on the freeway, in good condition (though dated) and at a reasonable price for a one night stay. The free breakfast is Okay but nothing fancy.

Staff was very accommodating and helpful both at Check in and out. Breakfast was was enjoyable and hot as advertised. Convenient location. Comfortable bed and room was very spacious. We were greeted with cookies and popcorn...very nice touch. We would highly recommend this Best Western which meets their high standards for a hotel facility and exceeds it with the high quality service.

Our toddlers loved the free popcorn and cookies at the front desk. The sausage gravy and potatoes at breakfast are great! There's a gas station next door and several good restaurants very nearby. All the staff were very friendly!

We checked in with an awesome girl at the front desk named Brittany. She was very sweet and fast. We booked a pet friendly room so I figured it's usually a little less of a room than the normal rooms because the wear and tear pets can have on a hotel. But I wasn't e pectin what they were selling at $135.00 a night. The bathroom is tiny, the amenities bare bones and not what I was thinking they would hand out. The room dire tory is great, tells you everything you can do there, i. e., mail letters, swim from 9 I believe until 11 pm., vending machines, free breakfast, 2 HBO channels, etc.. The breakfast lady was quite rude and when I didn't want their instant oatmeal proceeded to tell me it was good, I said, no its old and doesn't dissolve, I wasn't going to eat it, I tasted it, yuk, the rest was pretty greasy and bad fake butter, old stale bakery items and stale hard biscuits to go with the OK. Gravy. I won't go on, but I believe the saying is, 'the customer is always right'! Not according to the breakfast lady. Besides all that, it's clean, but if you get there around 9 p.m. As we did, you have to park off the property in the Ross% Pet o shopping Center, which does not feel safe. And did I mention they had cranes outside our room that were welding at 7:45 in the morning. I would really like to ask for half of my cash back. Won't recommend to anyone Plus we had just stayed in Lincoln City for a week at a beautiful Hotel on the water that serves breakfast to you're suite in the morning and wine party socials at 6pm. each night, for the same as this sub par Best Western

We were on a 3 week pleasure driving trip from Southern Calif. to Washington state to visit friends, and then back home. All 1 night stays at a time. This hotel was a lovely hotel, very friendly employees, clean rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast to start the day. All foods ready for early departures. Wonderful restaurants in town for lunch or dinner.

The employees here are trained to please. It starts with checkin and continues to breakfast with over the top enthusiasm. Near the I-5 but you never hear the road noise. Breakfast better than most and rooms very comfortable. They do offer evening snacks. Roseburg is between Medford and Eugene but I would prefer to stay here if given the opportunity again.

Stopped late and as given a wonderful upstairs room, which Jessica at the front said she did especially for women traveling alone. She was courteous, the room was perfect and I slept well. Best Western has always been a sure stop for cleanliness and comfort.

As other reviewers have said, this is an older hotel that needs an update. However, it was the pitifully ineffective air conditioner in Room 125 that made for a miserable, sleepless night in 90 degree weather which warrants a 2 Star review. Even the friendly staff (Brittany) and the secure parking for our moving truck couldn't make up for that. Definitely would not stay here again. If you do, check the A/C before you unpack.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 days, over a weekend. The service was very good. The breakfast was good with very good attendant. It was nice to eat on china dishes and real silverware. The washing facilities were excellent but would be beneficial to have a chair in the room for guests who want to stay in the room when washing/drying their clothes.

The staff was excellent. Was easy to find with shopping nearby. The outside of building is old, could do with a facelift. It has a lovely pool area, and BBQ area. Rooms inside are clean and bed was great.

We used this hotel/location on our way home from Canby. We had a trailer full of animals. The staff helped us to park our vehicles and provide water for our animals. When towards midnight when our animals were getting a little unruly, the staff, again, provided assistance to calm them down by providing access to water. This access allowed us to fill water buckets, make them available to the animals, and calm them down. The only downside is that there was no real butter with breakfast.

The Jacuzzi suite we stayed in was well decorated, and extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable, there was a nice big screen t.v. in the room, as well as a desk, and a small table with 2 chairs for dining. The room was very charming. Our only complaint was that it seems that the motor in the Jacuzzi tub was going out, and not only was it ridiculously loud, but the water coming from the jets came out in spurts. We had to turn it off and just use it as a large soaker tub. We informed the front desk when we checked out, and it seemed they were going to address it.

It is always difficult to find accommodations that are pet friendly at a reasonable price but we found that Best Western consistently meets our needs over 95% of the time as only a very few do not allow pets. The breakfast was not fancy but had enough variety of selections to meet most people's dietary needs (including gluten free); the woman who serviced the breakfast was outstanding in providing caring attention to ensure we got everything we needed. The room was very clean but the building was somewhat dated. Overall, I would recommend Best Western to anyone travelling with pets.

As far as a motel goes, it's clean. Beds are uncomfortable though, but they served a purpose. We stopped at this one because we knew the BW in Forest Grove is really bad, and it was cheaper than Eugene. However, for a motel, it was way overpriced.

My wife wasn't feeling well. Jessica gave us a quiet room away from the road. Ended up staying there for 2 additional days and they were great about everything. I highly recommend staying there. Places kept spotless and up-to-date. The nicest Best Western I have stayed in ever!

Best western usually does a better job. There are better option then this hotel. It smelled bad, the bed was hard and had a plastic cover that made noise every time you moved. There was mold in the bathroom so I passed on a shower. Won't be going back.

We really enjoyed our stay. Check-in was easy, the room was nice and affordable, and the location was great. What was really outstanding was the customer service. The woman at check-in was fantastic and so friendly and personable. She even gave us some free toothpaste after I asked where we could find a store to get some. The morning check-in crew was terrific and when we checked out the man who helped us was terrific. The lady at the breakfast buffet (which was very good) was helpful, friendly, and eager to serve. Our one complaint was the bed was not as comfortable as we would have liked, but I am still giving a five-star rating because the customer service was so fabulous.

Service was good but the hotel needs an update. Hotel staff were very friendly and professional. The location is convenient but located right next to I-5 which provides a lot of road noise. We always stay at Best Western because of their value and quality, but this one for the money paid is at the bottom of the ones we've stayed at.

I have stayed here a couple of times in the past and have been impressed with the value received, cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff. That hasn't changed, but the overall condition of the grounds and room could use a little improvement. The sidewalk fronting our room was dirty, with stains from spilled drinks noticeable. The door of room 122 was hard to close without slamming it hard enough to latch. While the room was clean enough, the carpet seemed a little worn. The toilet seat in the bathroom had 3 little holes in it, just rough enough to irritate sensitive skin and delicate sensibilities. Overall, these deficiencies aren't enough to make me consider staying someplace else, but a little sprucing up would be appreciated.

On arriving my room was spotlessly clean and welcoming. The staff was friendly and professional. The hot breakfast was copious and there were many choices. The breakfast person was very friendly and looked out to see I was well served.

We found the manager STAN very rude and the clientele at the hotel less than desirable. Lots of smoking in and around all the rooms. The breakfast was not that good. The hotel was not kept up for a Best Western. Carpet stained and there was an odor. Felt like I was in a very cheap hotel.

Average.. Clean enough. Should be cheaper for what you get. Pool pretty cool. Breakfast ok. Just should of been cheaper for what you get.... oh well .. would stay again, but going to search for a Groupon or something first. LOL

We stay here the same long weekend every year and it's consistently reliable. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean. It's not a fancy 4-star hotel, but Roseburg doesn't have any. If you want clean comfort, stay here. The outdoor pool is always clean and there's plenty of pool chairs for relaxing. The outside grill by the pool area is a bonus. My highest 5-star rating to the woman who works the weekend breakfast. She is outstanding! She remembers us every year and is so kind and thoughtful. This year the bed in our room this year was not good. My sister stayed in a room as well and also expressed an uncomfortable bed. The foundation was very wobbly so any movement felt like you were in a water bed. Even with this, I would still recommend this hotel.

typical chain motel... a little dated... places like this undergo rennovation every 15-20 years and this one id due... everything works, no problems, just dated...in middle of large mall with a different chain next door... staff friendly and helpful... you won't remember this place as soon as you leave...

Older property, our room was small, but comfortable, and very nicely decorated. It was a hot 90+ day, and the a/c was on when we arrived, making arrival very pleasant. A nice chair, microwave/rfrig.,comfortable bed, and wonderful staff. Very clean, and breakfast area was pleasant and very nice breakfast host was helpful.

We love the Best Western Garden Villa Inn. We come through Roseburg at least once a year and we always book with them. It has a great location, the price is reasonable and the rooms are very comfortable.

Some of the site shows it's age. Mattress had wire poking out of the side, stairs to the second floor need attention, cleaning rag on the floor when we arrived. And (worst of all) the cookies were all gone ! Breakfast was ok but not as good as the past., hashbrowns were cold at 6:30, no bacon. The new (to us) attendant was cheerful and friendly. Room was quiet and no noise from the rest of the site. Price is higher then expected.

The room was older but still nice and clean. There was no lockable safe in the room which was strange. Also, it was one of these hotels where, when the water goes on next door, it's really loud in your room. The parking is in the middle of everything, making it not feel that safe for kids. Keep an eye on them. Breakfast was good. It was a hot breakfast. The pool was nice, but the pool lights didn't come on every night until five minutes before it closes. This is a safety issue that was brought up with staff, but the folks working didn't know how to alter the time it was set at. Why would the time be set at that? Loved the music out by the hot tub. But the jets didn't work at all. We sat in the hot tub with Chuck, a journeyman plummer who said it wouldn't be a hard thing to fix, but it was obviously not something they were worried about.

Did the job, room seemed very clean, seemed like older bath & sink, but all else very nice, lobby has nice decor, desk staff (esp. Ami [sp?] super nice, early next morning, 0300! departing for eclipse, Mr. ? opened breakfast room early so I could fill water bottle with cold h2o, also gave us go bags (banana, granola bar, water+) ! So great service, super easy booking thru AARP (Expedia) site.

Tried to cancel the request at the lobby and they kept helping other guests even though my husband was there first. Finally when he was helped they told him he needed a confirmation number. Left to go get the number and then when he came back they tried to push him to the side again and not help. My husband did not let them happen and said they needed to help as this needed to get resolved. Finally when they "helped" him they stated there was nothing they could do because it was booked through a travel site. Had they said this in the beginning (as he was first in line to be helped) 30 minutes wouldn't have been wasted. No remorse after they said that, no help whatsoever. Had to contact expedia ourselves to resolve the issue.

Above and beyond. Super clean. Great location. Very friendly staff. We stayed on the eve of the great American eclipse. Just to accommodate the eclipse guests, hot breakfast was ready by 4 am, only for the day, of course. What more could we have asked for? All this for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

We have been driving to Ashland, Oregon for the Shakespeare Festival once a year for 5 years, and have found that the Best Western Garden Villa Inn is well located, good quality, with a friendly staff and a pretty good included breakfast. It meets our needs quite well and has been reliable. Beds are comfortable, the internet is fast, the air conditioning effective, and the sound proofing pretty good.

Retro charm. Clark may have stayed here during his vacation but the place is great. Wonderful location clean rooms comfy sleep and fresh breakfast. Evening Friendly helpful staff complete the hotel right off interstate

Easy access on & off the freeway, very clean and comfortable rooms. good bang for your buck. Plenty of places close for Lunch and dinner. a very pleasant stay on a long business trip. Very surprised i could get a room during the fair.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful, courteous, and polite. The breakfast was well above average. Perhaps best of all, there are multiple, easy to use outlets to keep all of your electronics charged.

Our family likes breakfast and that is why we tried this BW hotel and it did not disappoint. There is a lady that is always there to clean up the tables and refill the foods and drinks. Hotel is clean enough, towels provided are clean and so is the washroom. The only downside are the beds that seemed to have already worn out and are in need of replacement. I woke up a bit early with a sore back and I attribute that to the soggy beds.

We used to stay at this BW years ago on a regular basis when our kids were younger. Just wife and I went this time to visit Wildlife Safari (If you have not been there...GO!). We were greeted by Tabitha, a very pleasant and welcoming front desk professional! She checked us in quickly, had freshly baked cookies for the guests, and is very knowledgeable about the area. She recommended a restaurant/grill that was "new to us" and it was the best! Customer service is a main component of an enjoyable stay, and Tabitha gets an A+. It's people like her, and "Genia", the dining room service provider, that make it easy to decide where to stay during future visits. The property maintenance man greeted us pleasantly the next morning, which is also very appreciated. We watched him work while we ate breakfast, and he was "putting his shoulder to the grindstone," even though it was already very warm outside. What a wonderful staff! Thanks!!!! The room was clean, the bed (King) was wonderfully comfortable, the in-room amenities al worked great! The hot water pressure in the bathroom sink was a bit weak, but let the clerk know the next day. Would never be stupid enough to let a trivial thing like that affect the trip...because it didn't! Just needed to find ONE thing that was not perfect! The free breakfast was wonderful! Not just muffins, yogurt and waffles (Oh, My!). It was a FULL breakfast! Cereal, waffles, sausage, bacon, eggs, muffins, cinnamon rolls, juice, tea, coffee...and MORE! The pool area is very nice. Did not swim, but it is a very nice, pleasant place to sit and relax. There may be "fancier" hotels/Inns, but no reason to pay the higher price or to take the risk of less-than-perfect treatment from staff. Our sincere gratitude to the BW Garden Villa staff for treating us like "friends" who were visiting. You are all a class act! Tom and Gina Suing

Just off the I5 this little gem is representative of the good value one finds at Best Western. Rooms were clean, beds so comfortable after a long day of driving! Close to shops and restaurants, we were able to quickly settle In for the night.

Stopped here en-route to Portland. Clean, comfortable and quiet room. Great bed so restful stop while traveling! The hotel was located near fuel, restaurants and other shopping so convenient location. Easy on and off freeway access.

We chose this Best Western for the location off I-5 but did not hear road noise. Room was small with 2 full beds very clean with new furniture. There was a pool and it looked very nice with families using it.

On a one week trip throughout Oregon and Roseburg was a way stop. Very pleased with Garden Villa Inn- great room, clean, cool (temps were over 100). Staff was terrific and amenities exceeded price. Easy in, easy out. Although this wasn't our destination, it's a great place to stay.

Room was very nice and comfortable. WiFI was a little slow, but strong signal. Staff was very nice and the the location was great for the activities we had planned. The toilet and shower room was a little cramped, but we managed just fine. The room spa worked out great - room for two adults in the tub. Parking was OK for us, but the lot was jammed come the next morning.

The property was clean and well maintained, and all the staff were helpful, friendly, and very gracious! Our kids spent hours in the pool because it actually had a 9 foot deep end! Absolutely wonderful!

We stopped in Roseburg on our way back from Sacramento. After dining in downtown, we enjoyed a quiet and comfortable room for the night. The next morning and early afternoon, we toured a couple of the Umpqua Valley vineyards before making our way back to PDX.

This is an "old school" motel that has been pleasantly updated. The rooms are clean and the service is superb. Breakfast is included and what a spread (eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes, waffles, pancakes, etc.)! One of the best features is the outdoor pool...a delight after a long hot car drive.

Out of the three places we stayed on our travels this was the greatest! Great breakfast! Cozy bed quiet and a wonderful staff! Definitely recommend this place! They were also pet friendly and welcome to our dogs!

We chose this hotel for various activities we had planned in the area. The location was great. The older style hotel has been updated and the pool is very nice and clean. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Bountiful free breakfast provided and free snacks and coffee in the lobby.

We were traveling from Southern CA to Gig Harbor, WA and BW Garden Villa Inn in Roseburg, Oregon was a wonderful place to stop and get a good night's sleep from our hours in the car. We have stopped there a few years ago and everything was still clean and well cared for

Room was clean and comfortable. The pool was great. The staff was very welcoming. Didn't have breakfast as on the weekends it isn't served long enough. Since everyone is checking out pretty much the same time you have those same people trying to all eat at the same time. So kind of hard finding a seat. But oversll the stay was very nice.

The room was clean,. It was a nice feature to have a chair and ottoman in the room in addition to the beds, breakfast staff and desk staff were helpful and friendly. Everything seemed as it should be.

We were on a road trip from Arizona to Glacier National Park, then to WA, OR, NV & return to Arizona in late June 2017. NOTE: Construction Crews stay here! From our experience several were outside their rooms drinking beer and loudly joking. Things did quiet down after 9PM. The included breakfast was bad but got us on our way to something better. Our two queen beds were comfy as we got a good night's sleep. This hotel is dated but it was for one night only. Then we continued to Crater Lake.

There was a group of us who came for Graffiti Weekend in Roseburg. We all enjoyed staying here. It was located close to anything we would need. The staff were all very helpful, and polite. The rooms were big and roomy. I loved how nice an clean the rooms are and the bed was very comfortable. This is a great place to stay when you are in Roseburg, Oregon. I highly recommend staying here.

The Garden Villa is more a motel. It is good located near the highway and near some shopping malls. From here you can easily make a day trip to the famous Crater Lake. The hotel itself has a basic comfort with rather small rooms. Price/quality is good.

Best Western Roseburg, OR adjacent to I 5 Hwy., is comfortable, convenient for business travelers and family friendly. A Motel style property with drive up outside room access. Rooms are average, clean and comfortable, with good linens. Rates are reasonable and include breakfast. Shopping and a variety of restaurant choices are close by. Centrally located pool is well maintained.

Hotel was okay, clean no big issues. Bed was pretty comfortable, air conditioner was very loud but worked well. There was a decent breakfast although it can sometimes be very crowded. No one acknowledges that your a member when you check in.

Our family of 11 came to Roseburg for two nights to go to wildlife safari. This hotel was perfect for all of us with the swimming pool and hot tub and a wonderful breakfast each morning. We would stay again in a minute. The cleaning staff was also amazing and took care of our every need.

Was 4th of July weekend and this BW motel was swamped. That did not make the ladies that checked us in grumpy. They were so friendly and willing to help. The hot popcorn and fresh cookies made the experience even better. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was very good even tho it was crowded. We told the poor lady working that we understood how busy they were. The food was great. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay with the kids. Every staff member was incredibly friendly. Clean room and healthy breakfast. The pool is well kept and they opened it early in the morning for us. We will definitely go back.

All was Great except for the breakfast staff, one worker was very Rude! The Morning Front desk staff made up for everything! And the Night staff was very helpful. Thank you all for being so helpful to us.

The room was clean, Full breakfast , And quiet. Hotel is very well maintained along with the pool. The bed was firm, But we liked it. The only draw back is the parking. There is no assigned parking and its first come first serve. If you do decide to leave, there may be a chance you won't get the same parking spot. Staff is friendly and Anthony was helpful with our situation. Thank you Anthony! ;)

Everything about this location has met our needs, leaving us happy and satisfied with our choice to stay here. The employees are friendly and helpful, the room meets our needs, the close by restaurant they recommend is fun.

The reception folks and breakfast helpers are all pleasant, responsive, and efficient. The rooms are satisfactory in every respect - small but well laid out. We have stayed here several times and have enjoyed each stay.

The only issue we had was with the road noise, but my sister and I are light sleepers so this is something we have to deal with when traveling! Other than that the room amenities were great, hotel was easy to locate, the pet policy is convenient and fair, and we had a nice stay.

Breakfast was super. Plenty of hot food and coffee. Rooms were large and clean and service was great. Close to a shopping like mall and near everything. Near gas stations, stores and restaurants. Parking was not a problem.

We arrived after a long day of travel on the I-5 in the rain and heavy traffic. The people at reception were very efficient and offered some suggestions on where to find dinner in the vicinity, which we were very happy with also. We had a good nights sleep, breakfast and were on our way again early the next morning. Checking out was a breeze too. We will definitely stay again on our way back north.

Was very impressed with the updates the room underwent, and the value for service received. Felt very secure and safe and centerally located to the freeway. Would defiantly recommend the hotel to friends and family traveling.

My son was on a long drive back from college in California and we had him spend the night here. He had a great stay and said it was a really nice place! The rooms were clean and parking lot close to the hotel

Great clean and quiet hotel with wifi and a nice breakfast. You always know what to expect when you stay at a Best western. We also went to a nearby Casino and had a good time!!! We also love the Best Western Ponderosa in Sisters, Oregon on this trip!!!

Clean room, easy access to I5 and the Vineyards. Staff have been grey, there is s pool f you are looking for that. Good basic hotel. The rooms have been clean each time we've stayed. The basics, coffee/tea in the room. Basic breakfast in the morning. No great restaurants within walking distance.

The rooms had been refurbished so there was new furniture, rugs, paint, etc. Very nice. Service people were very pleasant and efficient. Nice breakfast options - eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, etc. And for those of us on the lighter side, regular (without sugar!) oatmeal packets that you could do up as you please. LIked the popcorn and apples in the lobby. Quiet and felt safe.

Apart from the internet speed, I did not find any issue of this hotel stay in Roseburg. I was with my family (wife, son, father, mother and sister) and we all enjoyed the stay in this hotel. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was also good.

We were on our way north after visiting with our daughter and grandkids. We were going to stay in Grants Pass with a competitor. We were early so we decided to go a little further. We were able to cancel our other reservation up to 6pm so we looked for something and found this location. It has a nice spa and the room was very quiet.

Older Best Western, but modernized and a very nice room. Pool and a Jacuzzi were clean and looked very inviting. They were outside and it was a little chilly for us. Had a pet room and it was also clean and did not have that pet kennel smell that some hotel pet rooms have. Fabulous water pressure for the shower.

enjoyed room and plan to stay there again on future trips. enjoy that best western is usually near avery good restruartant. the town of roseburg was beautiful. we like the support from best western with help to find the next closet best western motel when one is full. thank you.

Free cookies and soup every evening really ramped up this best western.Rooms where good. Internet fast. Staff every happy and helpful. I had no problems checking in and checking out pool was being cleaned )a good thing) They need strawberry yogurt in the breakfast fridge tho.

It's located right off I-5, but tricky to get into and out of. Dutch Bros in parking lot. It Has been renovated, but is not quite the caliber we're used to seeing for BW. We stayed in a King jacuzzi suite that had an irregular grade to floor, tiniest toilet area I have ever seen, and a TV that was perpendicular to the bed (viewing was uncomfortable) It wasn't the worst BW experience we've had, but not great either. Their breakfast attendant was nothing short of...fabulous!

Tho this was just an average room, it was clean and comfortable.. The mini refrigerator and microwave was nice to have (tho we didn't need to use them). Staff was very friendly, breakfast was okay but nothing special.... Seemed it was a bit expensive, but it did happen to be over Memorial weekend so perhaps that was the reason. Parking lot very large and would accommodate a larger vehicle in the center parking if someone needed extra length.

I stop in Roseburg on my way to Northern California because of the excellence of this motel, especially the breakfast. For those who care, you can gas up on Dutch Bros. coffee while you gas up your car at one the most affordable venues in OR, Fred Meyer Gas.

The staff is great, especially the breakfast hostess. We never had someone like her at a hotel. She is always making sure everyone has everything the need. The rooms are all recently re-done so everything is new. They have a soap dispenser attached to the mirror over the sink so you don't have to waste a bar of soap. "going green" The only thing that they did during the remodel was move the pet area to the opposite side from the pet rooms. That is a bit inconvenient.

Too costly for the severe lack of secure parking. The place was average and the property needed work. I will never stay at this motel again. Granted, it was a late night stay with a last minute reservation; however, NEVER AGAIN.

Clean and tidy everywhere you look, friendly staff who actually seem to care. Its no 4+ star hotel, but perfect for business travel when you need a place to crash for the night. The pool was closed and drained, no comment on this, but next time through will give it a test drive.

We have stayed here multiple times a year for the last three years and blame the average to below average stay on poor timing, we seemed to visit while they were in a state of 'hot mess'. The staff is still welcoming and as friendly as ever but we had disappointments one after another with the hotel. Toilet issues, pool closed on 95 degree days, having to lug our bags around roped off areas of the parking lot as they were having it paved, grill wasn't functional, and some cleanliness issues with an air conditioner. Staff was understanding and moved us to a suite due to the toilet issues but the pool was a big disappointment. Especially when I paid $100+ for the room based on the amenities advertised and that I was used to receiving.

This is the worst Best western hotel that we ever stay for USA road trip in May 2017. Room and facility is old and dirty (blanket looks old and not clean). The toilet is broken could not be flushed. There is insect in the room such as many ant on the sink area. Telling the front desk on the problem, she just acknowledged and seems like this is normal situation for her. Not worth for 197$ per night that we spent.....room condition just like cheap motel. This location is below Best western standard.

For an older hotel the rooms were pretty nice. Has a great area for the pets. Poor insulation between rooms, especially the connecting door ones. Unfortunately we had a neighbor in and out all hours of the night. Cookies, popcorn and hot chicken noodle soup in the lobby. Very friendly staff.

My husband went for work and I tagged along. Great location, walking distance/close to everything. Great, Friendly service by everyone, good breakfast food/ afternoon snacks, clean rooms, just a little noisy due to freeway off ramp, but not horrible. Would return. great value.

Conveniently located right off of the freeway. Seems as though the hotel was remodeled and although rooms were non-smoking, the room still smelled of smoke. Beds were comfortable. Shampoo and soap were through a dispenser but the stay was reasonable.

Small details make this a great hotel. Very nice staff. Clean rooms with origami washcloths, cookies and popcorn in lobby, and a great hot breakfast with eggs, meat, waffles, cereal and great service.

We were tired and the entrance was difficult to find. The walkways to the rooms could use a good pressure wash. By the way, I accidentally left my favorite robe lying on the bed. Could it be sent if you still have it?

I have stayed here several times with my dog. They have a great staff and nice rooms with a tasty breakfast and afternoon snacks and evening soup that is great in cold winter nights. I will stay again!

We travel I-5 from San Diego to Bremerton and back a couple times a year. This is a hotel we will visit again. It was comfortable, reasonably priced with a helpful friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. It was quiet, but with easy access to the freewayl

The room was clean and comfortable, but we woke up early to alot of noise from a leaf blower, power washer on the wall, and a truck dumping gravel outside oyr door! Very rude and poorly planned maintenance.

Newly remodeled and updated rooms. Older hotel but very clean and extremely quiet. Nice Vizio TV with a high quality HD cable provider. A welcome change from most hotels. Great staff. Quick, decent breakfast. Great location right off the highway. A nice place to stay and get some needed sleep.

Loud freeway noise, loud room heater, awful pillows, breakfast ran out of food, pool closed. Low quality experience that was way overpriced. When I checked out the employee spoke on the phone the whole time.

Having a chef make your breakfast to order is very unusual for a chain motel. The service was very very polite and the room was exceptionally clean. My Only complaint is that the safe is on the floor. It is very difficult for a senior citizen to have to get down on the floor to operate the safe.

Nicole was very friendly! Always has a smile on her face! They are remodeling the rooms at the hotel so I think it will be even better place to stay. Hotel was quiet, easy off and on freeway access, and close to everything a person needs..

Friendly staff, close to shopping center and food locations. Very quiet location and affordable price. Wish I would have stayed here on my way to California instead of just the return trip as well. Good spot to stay a night with the family and I recommend the Dutch Brother's coffee shop if you haven't tried it before! It was next to the hotel with great prices for the taste and options!

We with a large group with all sorts of special needs. All of them were accommodated by a very attentive staff. Some of us had dogs, some had to be down stairs and some wanted upstairs. The breakfast was better than most Best Westerns

We were very happy with the service we received and the lovely comfortable beds. We particularly loved the hot soup and warm cookies awaiting us in the lobby upon our arrival. Way to make a weary traveller feel welcome. Kudos!

The in-room soap dispenser what a beautiful idea, and the breakfast host she waited tables, cleared empty plates, served coffee, milk, and made one's visit a very enjoyable experience. Explained how the machine's worked where the condiments were and helped guests from Sweden understand the area and provided instructions how to enjoy their stay in Oregon. It was so wonderful to experience, beyond words and made our day a most memorable visit. We will defiantly return. The hostess should be recognized for her love and zeal to make us so accommodated! THANK YOU!

been at this location many times,,keep staying here when in town..... I would recommend this motel...to all , if stay one nite or multiple nite and days. BW has a decent breakfast meal for all.... especially family with small kids... Staff is friendly and helpful...thumbs up!

Have stayed here many times in he past and most recently and the staff is unbelievable. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is more than you could ask for. Starting to upgrade... so a bit of new carpet smell in the room but nothing the fan couldn't get rid of quite quickly.

Beautifully remodeled!!! I love the colors chosen by the owner! Although we weren't hungry, the soup was a nice added amenity! Cookies and coffee, too! Breakfast was good. Thanks for a good comfortable stay!

I did not have a reservation so I ended up paying for an upscale room that I did not need. I had to rearrange the furniture so I could have access to the closet where the built in luggage rack was located. Since the room was huge, that seemed a bit strange. The breakfast was typical Best Western.

The weather was windy and the power went out for about 5 hrs. The facility is located conveniently right off the freeway and has a gas station and grocery store within walking distance. The facility is older but clean. The staff friendly and helpful. The complimentary cookies are a nice perk.

Service and staff personnel very friendly and good. In addition to breakfast, soup and cookies offered in the evenings - nice touch but get it early!! Close to freeway and traffic and some guests noisy but not bad. Very close to mom :)

Don't be fooled by the exterior of this property-in need of an update, and, I was especially skeptical as we travel with our dogs and there was hardly a patch of green for walking, but, when I asked the very nice person (may have been the manager) at the front desk, she explained how to easily access the enormous trail system just across the street. Between that and the BLM office with tons of greenery, you are just a minute of walking until ample space. Most impressive though was the kindness and helpfulness of every staff member. The guy when I first checked in quite early was on a phone call not related to work, but he apologized profusely and helped me during and in between his call to get an early check-in on the ground floor. Several things impressed me, having lots of BW's and moderate range hotel stays each month to compare to, with the room features: namely, great internet, not the usual sign-in 2-3 times per day, and "hooray" ! outlets on all the lamps for charging. Nice cooling/heating system with an energy saving setting. No plastic utensils on property and earth thanks them! Even an evening light snack hour-including soup-we didn't have time to avail, but good to know. The most wonderful thing about this stay, though, unlike the other time this happened, is that we decided to leave at 2:00 and, incredibly, even though the room was already made up, they totally refunded our money. This is the kind of service I would expect from a much more expensive hotel/resort and, unfortunately we have had hidden charges and excessively punitive rates for no show or day late arrival-the most recent of which was when the resort does not mail confirmation and we could not remember where to cancel, when we did, and it was that day, they still charged for the entire 2 day stay. Of course we will never go back to that place or recommend and now, wherever we travel to Roseburg or need a place on way to WA from Cali, we will return to Garden Villa in Roseburg. 5 stars for customer service and value. (also very reasonable pet fee and pet friendly)

The Best Western Garden Villa Inn is a nice hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious and the location is great for traveling, just off I-5. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was fine. I stayed upstairs, which I prefer, but note that the hotel does not have an elevator. This is a place I would stop again while traveling through this area.

Easy access from the highway was a bonus for someone like us just travelling through. This motel represented well the standard of cleanliness and care we know and expect from Best Western properties. Good breakfast.

Great all-around experience starting with Shane the night desk clerk who was fantastic as well as a friendly lovely person. Jeanie in the breakfast room had the sunniest disposition and really acted more like a waitress during the self-serve buffet, which featured hot food. Both employees are a credit to this hotel. Our room was remarkably quiet for being so near the freeway, the beds were comfortable, and the room was a good size. I would recommend Garden Villa and stay there again.

This is the second time I have stayed at this property. The last time the hotel was full with a convention which made it a little noisy, but this trip was much quieter. The room was not large but very clean and I appreciated the refrigerator and microwave. The morning and evening staff are pleasant and the cookies in the evening were a nice touch. I slept well, which is unusual for me in a hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised by the easy access to this hotel from I-5, and equally pleased by the service! I was given a lovely room, a suite, for no additional cost. The room was very clean and spacious-- lived the special touch of hand towels folded like shells. Wish I'd taken a photo! Check out was also fast. I'll definitely stay here again.

Clean, mostly quiet, nice pool in season, comfortable, accommodating and pet friendly. Price is right too. Easy access from I-5 or Garden Valley Blvd. Included breakfast and evening snack are a super extras.

I go down to Roseburg, OR several times during the year and always stay at the BW. Friendly staff, clean room good breakfast. The staff is getting to know me and I always get a friendly greeting with a welcome back

From the front desk to housekeeping to the breakfast. Everyone seemed happy to be working there and it showed. One of the friendliest places I have ever stayed. And kudos to the gal that took care of the breakfast room.

Our cost tonight was $123 for a King Room. This is not a hotel but a motel with older decor. The bed comfort is just okay. The rooms are on the outside versus in a hotel where the rooms and lobby are inside the building. I stayed at a Marriott Courtyard last night in California for the same price and got a superior room with an excellent bed, decor, etc... I am very disappointed with how average this room is for the cost. It is overpriced for what you get.

Clean, friendly, and comfortable for short stay. Hot breakfast area and staff provide ample choices for starting the day. Located in central Roseburg, close to historical areas, VA grounds and plenty of shopping.

Fairly nice decor and average breakfast. Not enough parking spots because the hotel was pretty full (and one customer alone took up 5 or 6 spaces with their truck and trailer), and there appears to be no (legal) street parking. The front desk people were nice. Lots of freeway noise, but that's not the hotel's fault. We were disappointed when all the copies of the morning newspaper were already gone by 7:00am on a Saturday......why would they order so ridiculously few copies? Better not to tell people they provide newspapers at all, than to disappoint them by deliberately ordering too few! Probably wouldn't stay here again.

Although the motel could use some updating, our room was clean and comfortable. It was near the interstate, but we did not hear road noise from our room. They serve a good buffet breakfast with friendly and efficient wait staff.

I normally go to Best Western Hotels because they very seldom disappoint me. Not the case here. This hotel was over priced, noisy, not well attended to. We arrived very tired and without a reservation. That was my mistake. The room was generally clean but discarded orange peels on the (spare pillow) shelf had been overlooked. Also the drapes wouldn't shut due to damaged mechanism so we had to pin them shut. One of the mattresses was worn out (way soft). The other one wasn't great but ok. Also not very good sound insulation. I would only stay here again if it was priced a lot lower than what we were charge and then not for more than 1 night.

Reasonable pricing; clean room; courteous staff; clean premises; can hear some road noise from nearby busy street; but also very accessible from freeway on and off. Would stay again without hesitation. Breakfast options were above average. Missing from the usual offerings were pastries. Only a small mini cinnamon roll was offered as I recall. Raisin bread,couple varieties of bagels, english muffins were offered.

I always stay at this hotel when in Roseburg. Convenient location off the interstate. Rooms are fine and the beds are ok. the staff is great and the breakfast is good as well. Pool and hot tub look nice but I never get the chance to use them

This is an older property that has been renovated. Best I can tell, completely renovated. I found a deal on the internet and only paid $50. And for $50 you can't go wrong. My only complaint, and why they didn't get Excellent, is because the WF-FI was spotty or not working. But all in all, the room was clean with all of the necessary amenities and a pretty decent breakfast. I'll be back the next time I pass through.

Our room, #368, was an incredibly large room -- with a Jacuzzi – which, unfortunately, we were too tired to use! The cost of the room was a little on the expensive side for us, but we did enjoy the room as it met our 6 criteria standards for an overnight room. 1. The bed was stellar! 2. Everything was very clean. 3. It was quiet and we even had a window overlooking little fenced-in area. 4. The bathroom, towels and amenities were all very nice and up to our standards. 5. The lighting was very good. 6. The Internet worked perfectly. Lyn at the front desk was very efficient and friendly – and her cookies were delicious and very appreciated after a long day on the road! Definitely a nice place to spend the night!

Have stayed here a couple of times. Rooms are plain, clean but not very comfortable. This last time we ended up with a room with only queen bed. Haven't seen a room like that in awhile. Breakfast was ok for free. Staff was friendly. If the motel is full parking can be a problem.

I rented a room at this property because it was "pet friendly", but discovered on check-in there was no grass for them to use. The A/C was the antique push button type which didn't cool the room at all and the Wi-Fi was down. The hotel clerk did try to reboot the router server times, but to no avail.

This room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was good. It was easy to get to the hotel and to get to the various areas of the area that I wanted to visit. Even though it was close to the freeway I never heard the freeway noise.

My Husband and I are making a last minute trip to Rosburg Oregon from Carson city Nevada this weekend. We were looking at rooms online to book. We found a deal through Priceline and booked it. Not realizing our computer had reset the dates for two weeks ahead. In a panic I called the Best Western Garden Villa and spoke to an amazing customer service agent named Ryan. I was very upset in tears and he skillfully calmed me down and helped get the dates correct. Reassured me by sending a confirmation email while we were on the phone. We can't wait to come stay and am so very thankful for the kindness, professionalism, and helpfulness of this above standard employee. What a great experience. Thank you!!

the Garden Villa is visible from the I-5, which made it easy to find. However, that's what also made it a bit noisy for me, and woke me up at 5:30 the first morning :( My room was up on the second floor, and on the closest side to the freeway. I had earplugs, but forgot to have them handy when I went to bed. Did not make that mistake for the second and third nights, and I slept fine. I had friends who had booked a room with 2 double beds (mine was a queen), and they were on the bottom level, away from the I-5, and they said their room was quiet. We really appreciated the hot tub, and made use of it all 3 nights we were there. The first night it felt good after driving all day, and the next 2 nights it felt good because we had been on our feet most of the day. I was a little surprised that there was no recycling available. Nowhere to put the water bottles, glass bottles, or anything else. Also, I got full new sheets and towels after the first night, which I didn't feel were necessary. There was no sign that said "if you wish to reuse your towels, hang them up, and if you want new towels, leave them in the tub", like some other hotels have. The second day I just left the 'do not disturb' sign on my door knob, so room service didn't replace all the linens in my room. The breakfast available each morning was well done, and also much appreciated. There was only sausage (for meat) on Saturday and Sunday morning. There had been bacon on Friday morning, but I missed it :( However, I was far from going hungry :P You could make your own waffles, there were scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, cereals, milk, oatmeal, breads, a toaster, a few flavours of small tubs of yogurt, and various juices, teas and coffees. Something for everyone :)

Visited this property on the way back to Canada from our vacation. The property is old but the room was clean with a decent bed. Hot water didn't work very well but we were given a reduction in our rate for the inconvenience (I thought this was good customer service). There are not many decent restaurants within walking distance but a trip to the historic downtown area yielded a very good meal at Salud. It's a convenient stopping place with decent value for the money. Check in and out were both easy and staff were quite friendly.

Stayed here one night on a road trip. Very Clean rooms, staff were friendly. Beds were comfortable. Stayed at a place later in the trip at 100 dollars more per night and the rooms weren't nearly as clean or bed as comfortable as this one. Pleasantly Surprised!

This Best Western was in a convenient location off the interstate. It was a bit odd how it seemed to be placed in a shopping center/strip mall parking area where outside my room door, looking to the left was a locked iron gate at the end of the building and I could see Pier One Imports across the way in the shopping centre. The satellite for television in my room wasn't working upon checkin so the front desk sent over a maintenance to fix it. He was stumped for awhile but finally got it going. I was a little disappointed because I missed the first 15 minutes of the season finale for a favorite show of mine. The rooms could have been a bit cleaner (i.e.-vacuumed, dusted along walls, under nightstand, etc). I would probably choose a different B.W. location should I pass thru Oregon again.
