Best Western Mill River Manor

This hotel is very conveniently located. I come back here due to the location and staff. Linda is great. She goes out of her way to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. There are so many restaurants to choose from. The continental breakfast is great. I definitely recommend this property.

very good..service staff was excellent. breakfast was very good. wait staff excellent. different soap is needed. this one had a 'coconut' smell. With COPD, this smell kicked off our symptoms. A natural soap would be better.

Clean, courteous staff, phenomenal breakfast buffet, gym, laundry, comfortable beds, all you need within walking distance restaurants, coffee shops, and food markets! There is a huge beautifully, well maintained large pool with a sun area. I would recommend the homey and comforting feeling the staff exudes, especially the manager Linda and Sonny. They make you feel welcome, and answer any questions you might have. I'd highly recommend a stay here if you're in town! Thanks Linda. Will be back!

I really love this hotel. It's nice and clean centrally we're located to everything there's a lot of restaurants within walking distance the train is right behind the hotel and there's a bus if that's what you wanna do and Linda has been very instrumental of selling the hotel and all its perks and bonuses very sweet very nice. All of the staff is really great never had an issue with any of them I give this hotel, five stars and by the way, I didn't have an issue with my bed, my bed was great great shampoo and conditioner and body wash in the shower already so I brought stuff because I thought I was gonna you know forget things and normally when you go to a hotel they give you a little tiny bar, so not this one I had a great experience And you will too!

I feel really disappointed with the money I paid to stay here. I dealt with a room key that was broken for the majority of my stay, and it was way too cold outside to have to deal with that. I dealt with a screaming baby and parent at disturbing hours of the night and early morning for the majority of my stay. I was unable to sleep peacefully. The beds in my room were deformed and on a slope. The garbage wheel barrows went back and forth all night, that disturbed my rest as well. There is no way I paid the amount of money i did for the poor quality of my stay.

Stayed 3 nights for family funeral so had no expectations. Just needed convenience. But, the entire staff here was very attentive, very hard-working, helpful and excellent at their jobs. Starting with Sean who helped us get a quiet room (busy location) and even offered his condolences when I phoned the night before. Made sure room was perfect before we checked in. Linda was superb helping us add an extra night but ensuring we stayed in same room. Linda offered advice, help and was always smiling and gracious. Breakfast was the best. It was a full buffet with truly 'farm fresh' scrambled eggs (not fake), omelets and different meats, potatoes prepared fresh and tasty every day. This cook is terrific. There was always a food service person watching the room, replenishing supplies, wiping crumbs, cleaning tables and chairs - all with a smile. Never saw staff like this at this class of hotel. Housekeeping was perfect. Room always ready for us and, of course, super clean. When raining, staff made sure slip-proof rugs in entry way. Again, the entire staff here knows their job and does it well. Only reason for 4 stars is that location is between busy highway and railroad. Tho, our room, in center and top floor was pretty quiet, considering.

During my stay I'm totally Grateful to the staff at the Best western (Mill River Manor,Rockville centre) for the complete Door to Door service,Linda and Sunny at the Front desk with smiles and great information for everything is seems to the breakfast and the way they are on top of the cleanliness during my stay makes me very comfortable

This is a solidly good hotel with excellent staff; received great attention from Linda, who accommodated our needs with a smile and was always warm and attentive. Breakfast was sufficient; once we relocated to a larger room, it was comfortable, well serviced every day, and had all of the necessities. This is a solid choice for a reasonably priced hotel, especially one with such good access to NYC. Also, the immediate area around the hotel is replete with so many restaurants of all types.

We booked this hotel for our guests and the experience was great!! Our guests traveled separately and the front desk made everything seamless. The lobby and rooms were clean and kept up. The front desk was awesome and always smiling. The beds and pillows were very comfy. Our guests enjoyed the breakfast. Management is diligent and extremely visible. The manager Sunnie was very accommodating and helpful. They were able to manage extra rooms for our guests at the last the moment when the hotel was completely sold out. Did not experience any issues. Overall the stay was great and I highly recommend it. Thank you for the great service!

There is a lot of good about this place no bad at all actually they keep the place feeling very atmosphere friendly and secure all of their staff from the top sunny to all the maintenance men that work tirelessly every day one in particular Henry is a very nice man always gives you a wave and smile the housekeepers are excellent leti is a very nice newer housekeeper also another big smiler all the staff here I can give enough respect and praise to down to the night shift man that was the New York Yankees had I don't know his name but he is a good fair and reasonable man also having great people skills quiet but all around good guy then we have Linda who sits at her desk well really mostly standing because she's multitasking on about three computers and four phones she is the woman you want to go to to know anything and she always greet you with the warmest smile in the morning despite what she may have going on in her own world she is a great person I have been blessed to even had a chance to meet a lot of these human beings I speak of I could say a lot more but and my grammar skills could be a little better but I give this place a 12 out of 10 definitely family-friendly beautiful breakfast in the morning beautiful pool there always improving on the property whether it be sunny is beautiful flowers and decadent landscaping directives or putting on a new roof in a safe environment they work under there's nothing one time where I said wow that was a close one everything here runs like a well-oiled machine, have a blessed day stay true to yourself never give up on your dreams

Our family loves coming to this hotel. Linda and the staff are always friendly and helpful and make us feel at home. The rooms are spotless and up to date and the pool is a big plus. We highly recommend coming here!

We had such a wonderful experience at this hotel. Love their pool and their staff is incredible. Huge shout out to Linda who is the best. The hotel pool is clean and has a lifeguard which we love for the kids safety.

Our flight from JFK to Rochester, NY was cancelled late Thursday night. We were able to book 3 rooms online, easily and Ubered there. We did not get there until 4 am. The front desk staff was friendly and check in was super easy. He was very informative and helpful regarding car rentals. In the morning, the front desk staff loaned one of us a phone charger and extremely helpful giving information about trains, etc and how to get to Penn Station. The breakfast was good and the staff there was friendly and helpful. Overall, a horrible situation was made much easier!

We feel like we are at home whenever we stay at this hotel in Rockville Centre. Linda at the front desk is the best, attentive to all of our needs and, when free, always up for a great chat. Also, fantastic breakfast.

The hotel is wonderful in every way! Our room was spotless. Everything is new in the room. The furniture makes you feel like you are at home. Breakfast is fantastic. Much to choose from. You can make your own waffles. They make homemade homefries and eggs. There is a selection for everyone! Linda, the manager, makes you feel welcome, and meets every need you may have. All in all, I will absolutely recommend, and come back to Best Western.

Traveling alone I need to feel safe and here at Best Western Mill River Manor I feel completely safe. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Come see Linda at the front desk. She's wonderful. . Plenty places to eat and things to do walking distance. This is my second time staying here and I will stay again in the future

This place is fine if you're staying for one night. Most of the staff are rude and disrespectful, the beds slide right off the platforms. My kids injured themselves quite often there. The TV remote did not work so the volume was permanently stuck on 20. There was work being done so we were woken up to drilling at 7am. There was no WiFi in our rooms. Never again

When I first pulled in, I wondered about the quality of the establishment. I was pleasantly surprised by the helpful young lady working the desk. This was approximately 8 p.m. I was displeased with the incidental deposit of $200 After all, this isn't Manhattan. Other than tha, the room was nice and clean, the hotel quiet and the breakfast and Wi-Fi were all good. There is also plenty of on site parking. Rockville is a nice little downtown area.

The hotel was very nice and clean. All employees were very friendly and polite. The breakfast bar was very nice as well. Our neighbors were ungodly loud!! They were up until 5:30 in the morning. Security needs to patrol more in the early morning hours. There was underage drinking going on as well.

Our staying in the hotel was very confortable. I made a mistake in my room reservation but Miss Linda was very helpful and accommodating giving the room that I really wanted. Very friendly staff and helpful. Breakfast is good and have a good variety of food choices. We spent a week in the hotel and book another week while visiting the area. The hotel have a great location and it is walking distance to pharmacy, supermarket, train station and many choices of restaurants. Rooms are very clean and confortable.

Linda was excellent. She is knowledgeable, sensitive, and just special. So helpful!!!!Thank you Linda. She answered all of my questions,; she was very patient. She told me about the best places to eat as well as all of the amenities o the Manor. A real treat. I look forward to my nest visit.

Linda..always warm and friendly....the manager is impeccable..she was kind enough to change rooms for me for a bigger one and on top of that helped me with my bags when it's not a necessity.. Hotels should have manager like Linda.. The comfort level is personal .. 5 stars just for her.. ❤️....

I am sorry, I cannot recommend this motel or stay here again. I am usually good at researching places I have not stayed at before--but somehow my skills failed me this time. There is no problem with the staff here--they are as friendly and helpful as can be. But this is a motel that needs demolition and a re-build IMHO. So David, what was going in the middle of a business week at this motel to cause you to give it 2 stars? What happened? I don't know if this motel has a government contract to house homeless people? or they just rent to a certain clientele that is up ALL NIGHT sitting on stairs or hanging off the balcony smoking cigarettes like they have no place to go the next day... And my room was just off the stair--the only room left the clerk told me when I checked in--and the smoke would get sucked in by the AC and pollute my room. There were some women that would come out of their rooms and sit on the stairs by themselves looking like the world is going to come to an end and drown themselves in cigarettes all night long I saw from my window (and the next morning too). I almost went out there myself to tell them to stop but it was late and I was very tired and did not want a confrontation. At 2.30 am tired of smelling the cigarette smoke I picked up the room phone to call the front desk and guess what? Phone was Dead! I tried fixing the cord--unplug and re-plug--dead as a door-nail. Tried to sleep--no sound insulation in these rooms. Every car going by sounds like they are going to drive into the room--loud as can be. Did not get restful sleep here. I needed to drink an entire Starbucks black coffee the next morning to do business that afternoon. The are no interior corridors in this motel--every room opens to the outside. It's a very old Best Western motel built cheaply--It's not a "manor." For the rest of the room--the bed was okay, shower good, TV worked, parking easy and free, clean enough. I went to bed late so I missed the free breakfast. It's just not a comfortable place to rest and I would not want to stay here again as nice as the staff members were the next morning.

First off- this is the BEST Best western that I have ever stayed at ( and I have stayed at about 25 of them across the country!). Clean, friendly, accommodating are just some words that describe the rooms, the staff and the people at the mill River manor. *** Second, LINDA, (the manager I believe) is AMAZING and she has the most accommodating and pleasant personality. …. My child and I were having a hectic day when we were checking out and I had the ability to take an extra 30 min to check out without interruption and then Linda knew we had a flight at 4:30 pm and check out is at 11 am so she offered to let us stay by the pool for the day until we had to head to the airport! LINDA made life a little easier for me, and it's rare that I get to say that!! Thank you Linda!

I stay in the NYC area once a week, always with BW - decided to try this hotel because the usual one that I use was pricing higher because of the US Open. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast started at 6am which is a huge plus for me because i need to get to the office by 7am. great breakfast selection and very friendly staff. Food was fresh - proper sausages and eggs. Check in was easy - staff pleasant. You can hear the train - but its not enough to wake you up. Room was well insulated and quiet. I was wary because initially it has outside doors for the rooms - but it all felt VERY safe. Plenty of parking and well lit. Great area - lots of nice bars and restaurants. Gas station and grocery store very close. I walked to a bar around the corner had great food and drink and felt safe. walking on my own in the area. The only one downside - no bottle of water in the room that I saw - and no Diamond Level bag when I checked in. Also would like a fast check out option. Overall GREAT and will be back! 100%

Just wanted to say had a great experience at BW. Ther setvice was great especially the pool. Linda is the best part about the hotel. She was so helpful and accommodating during our stay. We will definitely be hack here again.

This place is perfect! Right at check in, I knew this was a great property. Linda, the front desk agent, greeted me and made me feel welcome. We arrived very early and the rooms were not ready yet, so Linda told us we could use the pool in the meantime. She shortly came out to the pool area to tell me that my room was ready, and it was much earlier than check-in time. She gladly accommodated my room request for a ground floor room. Linda was very friendly and courteous and told us all about the hotel and the amenities; she really represented the property well and is an outstanding guest relations provider. The staff all seemed well trained and every staff member I encountered greeted me and asked me how I was. The property was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. The pool area was spotless and well maintained. It was such a pleasant surprise to have an outdoor pool in an urban setting; this is very rare in this area. Breakfast in the morning was above average for complimentary hotel breakfasts. Overall, I definitely recommend this property!

Very old, outdated budget motel that is in much need of a facelift. The stairwells are dark and nasty. Way overpriced! The staff was pleasant but it was just a nasty place to stay. We smelled cigarette smoke at 3am- not sure where that was coming from.

On a whim, I decided to make a 12-hour drive with my kiddo to see Jimmy Buffett at Jones Beach. I had never been to Long Island, so I had no frame of reference about hotel locations or neighborhoods. I scoured the reviews of hotels that were available on the dates we needed; they were all interesting reads, but it was obvious that lots of folks had very different experiences while staying at the same establishments. I ultimately booked this hotel based on proximity to the venue (20 min. drive), recent favorable reviews, affordability, and the recommendation of other Buffett fans who stayed here in years past. Check-in was smooth, the front desk staff was kind, and he directed us to an open diner close by (which was great, we were starving). The hotel itself is older, but our room was extremely clean. The blankets, sheets, pillow cases, and towels were clean and smelled freshly washed. We thought the beds were comfortable and A/C worked great. There was a mini-fridge in the room that kept our water cool, but not cold. I'm 5'8", and I will say the bathroom light hung down kind of low...so taller folks, you might want to watch your head when you get in and out of the shower. Breakfast was different both mornings we were there, and both mornings it was good. Sausage, eggs, and potatoes one morning, bacon, eggs, and hash browns the next. Kiddo loved the touchless pancake maker! The staff kept the area stocked, clean, and they were very friendly. We stayed on a Monday and Tuesday night; it wasn't completely crowded, maybe that is a different story on weekends. If we get the chance to return, we would stay here again.

I am a travel assistant for a group called, The Beat Goes On, out of Chicago, IL. This weekend they played in Massapequa, New York,; however, they stayed at the Best Western in Rockville Center. The groups manager Linda Olivier assisted me in booking six hotel rooms. Linda did a fantastic job communicating with me and reviewing the rooms and dates when necessary. I spoke directly with the groups manager this morning and she informed me that everything from checking in, to parking, to breakfast, to location was absolutely perfect. Good job for the hotel but more importantly good job to Linda Olivier who made their stay a wonderful experience.

I had left items in my room on 8/10. I was frantic, I couldn't drive another 4 hrs. and 4 hrs back alone! The Woman I spoke to this morning 8/11 was wonderful, she knew I was clearly panicked, and brought my things personally to the post office and ship them back to me! She was pleasant and helpful and promptly called me with every step to keep me informed! She was very pleasant even though I was clearly agitated, only due to the response I got the day before when I called. I unfortunately forgot her name, but wish I could give her a shout out! Her manager should be proud! Breakfast was serviced well and turned over 0nce things ran out! Construction is underway so its hard for me to judge anything due to this being my 1st trip! But my friends keep coming back every year! The Pool looked amazing with a lot of sun even after 3pm! I slept like a log in the mattress in my room, Room 469! I was surprised because I do not sleep well! It was comfy with nice light linen. Hair dryer, small fridge, small coffee maker and microwave! I just wish they had a little safe in the rooms!

My boyfriend booked this hotel because we badly needed a getaway and the property isn't that far from Jones Beach. Photos of the hotel and the name "Mill River Manor" suggested that this was an above average Best Western. When we arrived, we were disappointed to see that the hotel is steps away from a LIRR stop and there was a large dumpster in the parking lot. The motel-style property was very average, but I will say that the rooms were clean. My boyfriend was awakened around 330am on the second morning of out stay by loud noise coming from a car in the parking lot for at least 5 minutes and a potentially violent domestic violence situation. When he went to the front desk to complain, the front desk clerk and "security guard" on duty completely downplayed the scene that they'd also witnessed and the security guard told my boyfriend that the man in the car blasting his music (and forcibly pulling a female into the car that didn't want to voluntarily join him) "lived there" and he said that he wasn't doing anything illegal. No attempt by hotel clerk to smooth things over with my boyfriend. Obviously, we wouldn't stay there again..

This hotel is a motel. The "renovated" rooms had peeling walls, scalding hot water in the shower, and old musty carpeting that triggered my allergies all night. The guests also played blaring loud music until 3 am. I will never stay at this motel again. The only decent thing they had was breakfast. The pool closed by 7 and opens at 10 am so we couldn't even use it. Don't stay here, not worth the 200 dollars per night.

If I could leave "zero" stars, I would. It's beyond me how this hotel, which is more of a motel on a noisy road, would have such a high rating. I've relied on TripAdvisor ratings for many years. They're usually pretty accurate - trust me, this one is not. The hotel is dirty, outdated, and noisy. There's dirt caked all around the bathroom, and we didn't even take our shoes off to walk around the room. The bedspread was worn out, wallpaper peeling, etc. I mean the whole place needs to be gutted & updated. Our "non-smoking" room reeked of pot and gross cleaning spray to cover up the odor. Between the people yelling on the balcony outside our room, and the LIRR racing by, it's hard to get any sleep. Parking is inadequate too. The spots are so small and there's a dumpster taking up a lot of spots. I did not feel safe due to some of the people hanging out around the hotel. Didn't even stay for the breakfast because we couldn't wait to leave. With taxes, the rate was $260. If it had been $99, I would have known what I was getting into.

We stayed for four nights, two adults and two children. The room was very clean and the pool is nice. The best part was Linda from the front desk. She was nice, and helped with everything that she could, in a very kind way. We will definitely come back again!

The room was very clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Pool area had unruly children and parents that didnt care, but overall very nice place and I will definitely stay there again every time I visit my daughter

We stayed four nights. Check in was easy and Linda at the front desk was very helpful. The continental breakfast was very sufficient and the area was kept clean by the attentive staff. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Parking could possibly be a problem if coming back to the hotel late at night. Otherwise, it was a very nice place to stay for the weekend and I would recommend it to others.

Very nice hotel, with nice and helpful stuffers, who were very friendly!. Not to mention their delicious Breakfast!!. The Receptionist was super helpful, and even told me where to find best Restaurants in town, and which Beach was the closest to the hotel!! It is a keeper!!

Can't beat the location of this Best Western. Adjacent to RVC train station, walk to great restaurants, shopping, movies, Starbucks, supermarket, etc. Free parking is a plus. Linda at the front desk is very efficient, helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast staff is attentive and friendly. The included hot breakfast is surprisingly ample and pretty good quality with different selections daily. That said...the property is older. Sunrise highway is busy. And the outdoor hallways can be noisy. Updated rooms are tired but clean. But for convenience and a pleasant stay, it's a great value for this town.

Thought it'd be a little nicer based on the website. Staff is great, BW is probably too cheap to actually make the place look as nice as it could. If I paid $60 a night I wouldn't complain but for $150 that was ridiculous. Again, no complaints about staff, but I'd stay somewhere else if I were you.

A gem of a hotel in Long Island. Outstanding service by all staff however the Yamilet and Jose who manage the Breakfast buffet are first class, efficient and professional. The room was clean and very conveniently located on the first floor. The hotel is very centrally located on Sunrise Highway with easy access to neighborhood restaurants if you choose to dine out. The least favourable was the internet speed which was very slow. Apart from that I will definitely return. We are Best Western Diamond members and are very loyal to the brand.

It was very close to the Long Island Railroad. The hotel could use some paint upgrades. I advise not to lean against the wall because it felt wobbly and unsafe. This was a return trip back to NY after 15 years of moving to Florida.

The service was outstanding, breakfast with Jose and Yamilet was a lesson in first class service . The front desk staff was helpful and pleasant. The room was super clean and inviting. Thanks again for such wonderful service

We stayed one night on the top floor. The bathroom could benefit from a little fixing up, but the room was quiet and beds were comfortable. Shower had great water pressure for being on a top floor. The Breakfast was great. Fantastic food with a great selection of items. Front Desk Staff and breakfast room staff were friendly very willing to help/answer questions.

I had the pleasure of working with Linda for my employee's stay at the Best Western Mill River Manor in Rockville Centre in the month of April. Linda was extremely professional and is always accommodating to my employees when they stay. The level of service is superb. I recommend this hotel to all of my industry professionals for their employees as well.

I had to go to Long Island to take my daughter for a sports tournament that started early Saturday morning. We found out the location on a Tuesday and needed a room Friday night, so it was tough to find a room in Long Island at a decent price -- prices were high and many places were sold out. Got a room with 1 king bed (all double rooms were sold out) on the 5th floor. Nothing special, but nothing wrong with it either. Good value for the price. The motel is in a pretty heavily traveled area, so there was a fair bit of noise. Running the white noise app on my phone and leaving the A/C unit fan on drowned it out well enough to sleep. Ended up needing a room for a second night (after I had checked out from the first night) and came back again about 2PM (prior to check in time). The only room they had open was on the first floor (two double beds this time). First floor naturally was considerably louder since it's adjacent to the parking lot, but it was important to get in and shower before going out to dinner, so we didn't want to wait for a room on a higher floor (the front desk staff said we could get another room if we could wait until after 3PM). None of the electrical outlets worked in this second room, so I had to move the bedside table and use the extension cord the room lamp was plugged into. Not a deal breaker or bad enough to wait around an hour for another room, but annoying. Some of the common areas of the place are being renovated, so I suspect it will be a bit nicer shortly. Solid free breakfast for this level of hotel with sausage, hash browns, make your own waffle, etc. They did not have any to go plates and had a sign discouraging you from taking food back to your room for cleanliness. Was it great? No. Would I stay there again to save $100 vs. some of the other nearby hotels? Yes.

This place still has the same furniture, carpet and fixtures it had over 40 years ago. The place is dirty, smelly and definitely not worth the money the hotel is asking for. Nothing has changed in 50 years

Upon arrival I was pleased with the state of the room but all of that changed the moment I sat on the bed. The mattress was more like a padded slab. The tiny square pillows were minimally stuffed and barely gave your neck any support. It seems that there once was a box spring that was removed because backboard started well above mattress which meant that the pillow only had the wall behind the backboard to support itself on. When I called the front desk to request a room with a better bedding set up, I was told that all the rooms in this hotel were the same and had been ‘recently renovated'. I've stayed at best westerns in the past and I've never had bedding like this. The cleanliness of the room and other amenities didn't matter since I couldn't get a restful nights sleep in in the 3 nights I was there.

This location is convenient and directly across the street to the LIRR which will entail a 25 min., train ride into Penn Station. The staff are cordial, the rooms recently renovated and parking free and ample.

I travel regularly to Rockville Centre and always stay at the Best Western Mill River Manor. I find the location very convenient; the rooms are always clean and comfortable; the breakfast is absolutely super; and the staff are always helpful, friendly, and professional--especially Linda at the front desk! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting here.

This hotel reeks of smoke. Both Cigarettes and Marijuana. We had to request a room change twice. The hotel is not updated, there was water damage in the bathroom, the shower curtain was shredded, the sheets were rough and the bed uncomfortable. The staff at the desk apparently have no access to fresh towels.

Linda was a great upfront sales woman and made my stay a good one by asking if I needed anything extra. And also told me to get breakfast downstairs. Also kayla was a great worker an asked which floor I wanted to be on.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, have free Internet, free parking, and an ample breakfast buffet is included. They have a stand-out staff day and night, especially Linda on the day side who remembers me from visit to visit, and takes personal concern that visitor's stays are satisfactory. I travel to Long Island several times a year and the Rockville Centre Best Western is a convenient and reliable place to stay for my travels throughout the area and into Manhattan via the Long Island Railroad which is half a block away. There's free parking and lots of restaurants and stores nearby.

This is one of the greatest hotels I've ever stayed at due to the staff and the beautiful rooms. Plus the fantastic breakfast they serve in the morning. Also the most friendly helpful people like the day manager Linda and her assistant Kayla,, Vincent oh, Andrew, and the entire made staff especially as meralda

Discussing overall appearance. Ice machine looks like it's never been clean and the soda machine. Room had unusual pipes hanging and AC unit was extremely cold on low. Train next to i.e. motel. Nasty.

My fiancé and I were very pleased with our stay. We were in NY visiting some family and the location was great, close to major roads. Our room was very clean, very quiet. We did utilize the free breakfast, which was wonderful!

I always come to the Best Western when I come to Long Island. Linda at check in is awesome., she's very nice and helpful. The location is close to train and restaurants. Rooms are very clean. Breakfast was awesome. I definitely recommend staying at this location.

We stayed at BW on 10/1-10/3/2021 came in for my bestie wedding. Check-in was slow, staff was not very friendly, ridged on the edges. Room was dirty, bathroom worst! Bedding were stained! Walls were stained! Night stain and table were sticky! Thank goodness I walked with Clorox wipes and Lysol spray! Not corvid clean! Grounds and location great! BW needs a face lift inside and out! Pictures lied! ! I would not call this “River Manor” no water r surrounded the area other than a small fountain.There were however, loud train sounds difficult to sleep! Room rates was not worth it! Seriously don't stay here unless you are desperate, bring your own sheets and disinfection. Better yet, find a different hotel! Marriott, Hilton? Or place with quality!

Had a quick stay for a night place was quiet room was clean and the bed was so comfortable my stay was great At arrival the front desk lady wasnt there immediately had about a 8 min wait but it was 9 at night and she apologized quickly and checked me in quickly

I usually never write reviews but I felt compelled this time because of the tremendous disappointment we experienced for an overnight stay while traveling to visit family. The first room we were given was very dated. I could forgive this but in addition to the worn out furnishings, the room was dirty, had a strong musty odor, visible mold on the ceiling, visible mildew on the AC vents and flies. I am not a fan of rooms where the entry door opens to an open walkway balcony where anyone can access it from the outside. Security is a concern! The second room we were given was also date but at least it was clean and didn't have an odor. However the rattling noise from the air conditioner made it difficult to sleep. The hotels also located on a main thoroughfare where many times during the night you can hear sirens blaring. There were also a number of single young men wandering around the balcony walkway at night which added to my security concerns. I selected this hotel on the basis of the TripAdvisor rating which I found to be wildly in accurate and misleading. I would've rather spent more money to stay at a neighboring hotel that is known to be highly secure, newer, clean, but with “rude service”

You cannot beat this hotel for location and convenience. The place is nestled among pubs a restaurants just feet away. The price is low. The help is excellent. My room was clean and the bed comfortable. So convenient to just park and hit the stairs or elevator without the long lug of an enclosed hotel with a giant parking lot….or worse no parking or easy access to your car. I find this hotel to be perfectly located near the railroad and highway which gives yiu access to the whole NY and Long Island area.

I needed a place to rest my head over the 9/11 anniversary. I didn't need to break the bank, and with 88 restaurants/pubs within walking distance I knew food…and more importantly beer was not in short supply. I also needed to be within walking to the train. I needed highway access to be able to zip to various ceremonies and remembrances. Linda and the crew run a great hotel. You cannot beat this value with so many amenities near by. The room has been freshly renovated and the AC was so cold I needed to run it a little lower. This Best Western has never come up short. What a fantastic place to say at such a great low price.

My friend and I had a fantastic stay at this hotel this past weekend. The proximity to the LIRR, restaurants, bars, and beach were all fantastic. Customer service was great both by phone and in person. The modern decor of my room exceeded my expectations.

This Best Western in Rockville Centre has become seedy, noisy and we felt unsafe staying there, called the Hampton Inn down the block but they had no available rooms so we had no chose but to stay was not told at check in that power outage was scheduled at 3:30 am to 6:30 am on 90 humid night we had no lights, A/C no windows to open and the phone in the room did not work. We left at 6am will neve use this hotel again

Stayed one over night with my husband for a concert at Jones Beach. Pricing is great for a summer night on Long Island and it close to restaurants, train, stores and highways. Room was kept clean and very happy with comfort of bed. We were given Room 473 which is at the end of the hall, next to a snapple machine and directly near the train. The train surprisingly did not bother me or my husband much. However, the rude guests at the snapple machine having an explicit conversation between 1:30-2:30 AM was very disrespectful to guests. They sounded like they were hanging right next to our door but could have been in the stairwell either up or down from our room. Guests were smoking outside their rooms and that was also a horrible smell. When I was taking a shower, I slipped and my upper calf now has a big bruise. There are no bath mats in the shower to avoid the slippery surface. When I checked out I notified the man at the desk how I slipped because the surface was so slippery. He said "oh if you had called her I would have brought you one up. We have them in all of the handicapped rooms." First off, I am not handicapped and secondly how about a sign in the bathroom to notify guests of this? I had no idea. His concern for me came at the end of our conversation. I am a AAA employee and although I am not a secret shopper, I would not recommend any one to stay here. Unless you are not bothered by loud guests, smoke, trains and unsafe tubs. We did not have the breakfast or use the pool.

The hotel staff is very helpful & wonderful. The pool was my favorite part. the rooms are very clean and sanitized. i enjoyed going to the nearby restaurants. There are nearby stores/gas stations/liquor stores.

The only reason we stayed was because the room was clean. Outside hallways were dirty and there was a constant smell of pot throughout the room area. People hanging out in the parking lot all hours of the day and night. Expected more for what they charge. Desk and cleaning staff were courteous and helpful

This hotel is not your 5-star hotel, however, it is not your bottom of the line hotel either. I'd say somewhere in the middle. I am practical when it comes to hotels and this hotel met my needs. They provided a decent breakfast variety. There is a pool...I did not use it but heard people having fun there. One issue, if anything...the air conditioning unit is very loud.

My check in on july 29 at 9:37 was a good quick smooth transition with linda. And she said go get breakfast which was a good salesperson. Kayla was a excellent worker also behind the computer. And everything worked out good in my check in process.

My daughter and I recently stayed at the Best Western Mill River Manor for three nights. The room was clean and the breakfast was great. Linda at the front desk could not have been more helpful during our stay The Long Island Railroad is right around the corner for a trip into Manhattan. I would highly recommend this hotel and if I go back to Long Island I would not hesitate to stay there again

This is a housing shelter. Violence, open drug use and 2am shouting every day/night. Staff is aware. Police & ambulance is there daily... overdose, fight, psychotic break. The last night my husband wanted us to sleep on the floor because guys fighting and one was threatening to come back with a gun outside our door.

Let me start off by saying this is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at! The maids keep the rooms absolutely spotless make sure you have plenty of towels and toiletries. As for the people at the front desk let's start with the assistant manager Linda. Linda is the sweetest kindest most helpful person I have ever met! She makes me feel like family! Then there's the manager Andrew who is always willing and able to help you out with any request no matter how big or small and always with a smile on his face. I would also like to acknowledge the rest of the front desk people especially Vincent Marshall and the other Andrew. They are always so helpful and friendly. I also want to give a special acknowledgment to Lucy Esmeralda and the rest of the maid and maintenance staff who keep this place beautiful. Let me know not forget to mention the delicious breakfast served every morning and the beautiful pristine swimming pool. This is definitely my favorite hotel in the world!

The hotel was filthy inside and out, and rooms were loud and smelled of smoke. Issues took many hours to resolve with no clear reason why. You could hear drug deals going on right outside your door while paying a price better matched to a much nicer hotel. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Greeted with huge smiles from both Linda and Kayla. They were professional, enthusiastic, and exuded hospitality! Rooms are clean and comfortable. Made suggestions for nearby restaurants. Best Western Mill River Inn is lucky to have two charming, professional guest service agents in their employ. A terrific, quiet, clean place to stay in the middle of a very busy area. Andrew, the manager, was the epitome of warmth and professionalism. The room was welcoming, lots of channels on the TV, blooming flowers placed here and there on the grounds, and a pool that although COVID-closed, looked inviting. I would recommend this to any traveler who is looking for better-than-basic accommodations for a reasonable price.

You enter your rooms from the outside here like a motel. Ample parking, clean rooms, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Train station and restaurants short walking distance. The rooms are a little bit tight. The breakfast grab and go consists of nutrigrain breakfast bar, muffin, banana, oatmeal with no spoon, 8 oz bottle water, coffee in lobby.

I booked this hotel because of all the great online reviews. This was the worst hotel I've ever visited. When we arrived, the person behind the counter couldn't be bothered to give us directions to the elevator or our room. I looked around for signage. There wasn't any, so I had to turn back to ask. On our way to our room, there was a shirtless man smoking outside of his room on the walkway. Note that it's supposed to be a smoke-free hotel. One of our keys didn't work and the other was hit or miss. The window faced the walkway so we had to keep the blinds closed, or anyone walking could look directly into our room. With the blinds open, it was like being in a fish tank. The pics of the rooms are extremely deceiving. The rooms were shabby and not well cleaned. I found sunflower seed shells on the carpet. There was also a dampness to the room. Breakfast consisted of a small bottle of water, a "blueberry" granola bar, and a soggy "blueberry" muffin. But by far, the worst part was the smoking. As I mentioned, this was supposed to be a smoke-free hotel. Yet, there were people smoking cigarettes and weed in the walkway and the staircases. The smell seeped into our room, which we shared with our very young children. We called the front desk about it twice. They said they'd handle it, but as the night went on, we smelled no improvement. Oh! I almost forgot! There was a loud, drunken fight in the parking lot one night. We were on the third floor and it was intense enough to wake me up. So it's safe to say that our stay was an all-around awful experience.

The thing about this hotel is that the room doors are outside. Since it is no smoking in the rooms, the guest just leave their rooms and smoke right outside not their door but in front of others leaning on the balcony. So if you are in your room, you smell the cigarette and marijuana smoke. I went to the other floor to get ice, and two girls smoking marijuana. The guests can be loud and rude if you are trying to sleep. Once it was after midnight you hear so many people outside being loud having conversations. Another time a man after 2:30 am to have a conversation having the other person on speaker while they are talking and he pacing up and down outside. No respect to the other guest. The staff were wonderful. We had no issues with them. Our rooms were cleaned. Breakfast grab and go could be better. It was the other guests arghhhh that made it a 3 star.

I have been living here for the past 4 years, this is probably the best hotel if you're going to be in Nassau county it is right near everything and has the best price I see Linda and her daughter Kayla probably twice a week they will give you any toiletry items that you need and help with any problems you have at the hotel but I have never had any problems message me if you have any questions

This hotel has the most incredible staff starting with the manager Linda her daughter Kayla the other manager Andrew and the night manager Andrew! They are so friendly and so helpful and so ready to do whatever you need them to do!

When I was last there linda as isualbwasba good upfront sales lady always accommodated you with quick check in an the best floor for you to be on and Layla is excellent at greeting you and once again linda is a gorgeous woman.

I may never return again. The smell of the room was horrible , I had to cover the smoke alarm and light incense. The neighbors were loud and were partying all night. The internet connection was horrible was barely able to complete my school work , honestly put a damper on my whole NY experience. Once I made it know that the room smelled bad, they proceeded to claim my incense were a fire hazard and kept my deposit. I could not stand the putrid stench it was giving me a migraine, and steered me from my school work.

I haven't been here for almost a year. It was so nice to come back and be greeted by Linda and Kayla. They are so welcoming. They always make me feel like I'm home. The place is super clean. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

I go to the best western for 4 weekends a year to get away from the hustle and bustle of this hectic world and just relax and enjoy myself. I will not stay at any other hotels during my weekends. Only best western

This is in praise of how unusually wonderful the front desk staff was with us. The staff member Marshall was off-the-charts great, in so patiently and thoroughly answering all our questions, for us to make sure the room and the hotel would meet our needs. And then, when it turned out that even after all that, we weren't going to be making the trip and had to cancel, the staff was so understanding and didn't even ask for any cancellation fee, even though it was on very short notice. I was so impressed and so grateful that I was tempted to just offer one. Needless to say, this place stays at the top of our list for whenever we will be going to the area. Thank you, Marshall and the whole staff!!

Most horrible experience ever. I was never so terrified in my life as to this experience Stayed with family, two toddlers included and a joining rooms. Thank God they could accommodate adjoining rooms . Stay due to trip to Storybook Experience. Had a great time in the town of Rockville. Great restaurants. Storybook experience was wonderful. Was looking forward to doing an overnight with the grandchildren in a hotel. Someone suggested the best western. Best western previous experiences were always great in different areas. So I expected the best. My son noticed it looked a little shady upon arrival. I didn't word his warning unfortunately. When I can't work it became extremely scary. People walking in the outside Corridor's Yelling profanities, Banging on doors. A lot of outdoor activity. Seem like a little monkey business going on. I decided to stay still and be very quiet as to not wake up anyone in the other room or my grandson. Had the drapes closed as much as I could. Kept thinking oh my God I hope nobody knocked on my door. Lo and behold if somebody knocks on my door at 1o'clock in the morning. Of course they didn't answer. Sounded like two guys. One guy said to the other guy I don't think there's anyone in there. I felt it was safe I snuck into the adjoining room to inform him of what happened. I apologized for not listening to him earlier I'm not acknowledging his concerns. The best we thought we could do is sit out tonight very quietly and get out early in the morning as soon it was light out side. People knocking on doors. Loud activity, continued profanity is fighting outside until about 3 AM in the morning. Yes we were both up all night. 6 o'clock in the morning we heard someone bang a door and screen open up police FBI. We knew it wasn't the police or FBI...If it were I would've been thrilled to get out of that hell hole. I heard my son wake up bitch wife and come on we're getting out of here now. I went in the other room is I can't wait until it's a little bit later he said it's light enough we're going now ...get the kids up. I didn't even wanna go to the front desk to check out. But it certainly didn't wanna get charged again. I had my son going to check us out as we waited in the car outside the front door for him. He checked out and we took off once he was in the car of course. The night from hell. I have never felt a fear like this. No security to get to the room. Anybody can walk in from the street. Easy access to someone's room. I've never been to this town before is that I thought it was the safe town. I'll do better research next time I stay anywhere. Conclusion : not a safe place to stay! Just a note when we checked in the staff was amazing this review has nothing to do with the staff. I don't blame them. I have to blame the owner for letting this happen to this hotel. If I could give you zero stars I would. I can only post if I give it a one star! Just a note I had to tell the toddlers to keep quiet as we were leaving the hotel. Bad people outside. Thank God they were compliant and we got to the car safely wow it was late got out of that little hellhole.

I am basically here everyday because ofbusiness,I pay daily and I see the manager Linda every morning she is very nice and always greets me with a smile, she also asks me if I need anything extra for the room every time, this hotel has the softest beds that you can crawl up on and watch HBO channels on a big huge LCD screen. Finally the hotel is as clean as it looks I have very sensitive skin so I would be the first to have a problem if it was a dirty place.

So I'm not sure how the area is here, but I read another review that stated it's upper middle class and yet the hotel didn't seem to be. 1. Everything is separate. 1A. The vending machines are in the lower level and had limited options. 1B. The ice machine is on the second floor. 2. It's like a courtyard and rooms are outside, lighting needed! At night it's dark. 3. Lots of noise and people hanging out 4. Our room wasn't clean 4A. One of our wash cloths had hair on it(makes me wonder how clean everything else is. Thank goodness we had Lysol spray and Alcohol. 4B. In the bathroom, there was a used bar of soap left!! I couldn't believe it! 4C. The shower has low water pressure 5. No body mirror. Every place needs a full mirror.

We had business in Long Beach New York from Sept. 23-28. We were able to secure an AMAZING room rate deal via Priceline for the Best Western Mill Run Manor. About 15-20 minutes with traffic and lights from Long Beach but worth the drive because of the rate. HOWEVER - some negatives: 1. If you cannot sleep on a hard mattress on a platform bed, don't stay here. 2. If you desire or need absolute quiet, don't let them put you in a room at the back of the hotel. We were in room 352 and right behind us was the passenger train rail. The trains came by frequently and were loud, but thankfully short. ALSO, our room was very close to the pop vending machine. When people went there they were loud talking and stayed around the machine before and after they got their pop. 3. Also, if you need or desire absolute quiet, you may not want to stay here. Every evening after 7pm while in the hotel there were people staying there who would stand outside their rooms or go down the hallway and talk loudly, sometimes sounding like they were in an argument. Sometimes we wondered if it was going to turn into a physical fight outside our room. At least 1 of the nights I was concerned because a female voice sounded afraid; I was going to go out and try to stop whatever was happening/going to happen but then it got quiet and I didn't know what room she was in. And sometimes this happened after 11pm when we were trying to go to sleep. One evening there was a woman in a wheelchair who parked herself near the stairwell right outside our room and engaged in a loud telephone conversation. When I opened the door and stared at her, she stared back and continued to talk loudly for about another 20 minutes. The room itself was great, actually - aside from the mattress. Inbetween the trains and the people we were able to relax and enjoy our room.

They have the nerve to charge over $150 a night yet there are homeless and drug users living there. For an upper middle class neighborhood it was downright creepy and scary and I am someone who doesn't get ruffled easily. I wrote a review on hotels.com which they refused to acknowledge or publish and same for the BW website. STAY AWAY IT IS GROSS!!! Good faith and customer satisfaction I should have gotten a partial refund or future credit along with acknowledging....A DISGRACE!!

We used the Best Western Mill River Manor for lodging for our wedding last year. They were nothing short of incredible. Linda, Jonathan and Yasmin all went above and beyond for us and our guests. There is so much planning and stress that goes into a wedding and they made sure the lodging aspect was as seamless and worry-free as possible. Friendly, generous, hospitable, it was a pleasure working with the entire staff and we are so grateful we chose them as our hotel.

Stayed at this place as an emergency for a family funeral. Looked great from the outside,but the room was less than acceptable. Chipped paint on the doors,an armchair whose arms had to be wiped down with a washcloth,poor lighting,cramped quarters ... ugh. Generally speaking the online promo was misleading at best. In this era we're living in, I expected more. Not likely I will ever stay at Best Western ever again! Stay away!!!

This facility is wonderful with the large free parking lot and not dealing with a garage. The staff members are quick to secure your list of needs. When business resumes in Manhattan you will find this facility just a short ride away on the LIRR.

Because of my job I stay here all the time the staff is very friendly they have laundry facilities everything works great no problems TV air conditioner refrigerator microwave ect the rooms are reasonably priced for such an upscale Hotel if you go to a more expensive hotel you were just throwing your money away feel free to email me any questions

We stayed here for two nights and it was in walking distance to some good hotels. This is a motel with the doors to the outside. We could hear the train going by but it was ok. Breakfast was quite good. Parking on site was good also. Great price for the quality we got.

This is my go to hotel on long island. It's agreat value the heater is powerful, and the location is perfect close to many bars and restaurants, transport to the city the beach the mall right outside the hotel doors. Breakfast buffet that is probably the best in any hotel I've stayed at.

Stellar customer service goes a long way when you are traveling in a foreign area and not familiar with where you are. Arriving to the hotel was a breeze and the service at check in was top notch, Breakfast was hot and the chef was constantly replenishing and getting things for guests. This hotel is a 5 Star to me and should be a plus/premier BW in my opinion. Would definitely stay again.

We've been staying at the Mill River Manor off and on for ten years while visiting relatives in Rockville Centre. It's always needed a little work on some of the rooms and the hotel is in the middle of a renovation now. But it's unobtrusive and the renovated rooms are simply terrific for the price this close to downtown Rockville Centre. Don't forget to ask for one of the new rooms.

The hotel was clean and accommodating. The check in clerk was nice and I was checked in a timely manner. There were renovations going on, and I would have liked to have known a head of time as you could really hear the banging and stuff.. but overall it did not ruin my experience. The hotel is just steps away from bars and restaurants. Hotel breakfast was typical.. eggs, waffles, sausage, fruit, oatmeal, cereal. The staff kept the breakfast area clean and replenished. Overall a great experience and you can't beat the location.

I choose this hotel due to its location from where I was traveling to. I personally made the mistake of not looking at all of the pictures posted because if I had saw the outside and knew that it is a motel, I would not have booked it. With a daughter in a wheelchair it is not convenient to have to go outside to go to breakfast especially in the winter so we did not utilize the continental breakfast. The door was extremely heavy and if a disabled person was by themselves they would have a hard time trying to get into their room. It was hard for her to get to the bath room without my assistance. The floor to the bathroom was not level so I had to tilt and lift her wheelchair each time she had to use the bathroom. The shower head was not the type that moved up and down so she could not really use it because she doesn't like the water running on top of her. Also I had to place towels in front of the door due to the draft of cold air coming in. Since we flew in and rented a car to get around, we stayed here as apposed to trying to find another hotel for the two days. This room might be satisfactory for someone else as long as they are not wheelchair bound.

Nice clean well maintained room. Room upgrades in progress, so things will get even better. Bed is the softest pillow top I've ever been on. Best Western ALWAYS has complimentary breakfast. A little loud if planes happen to be flying overhead.

Very Noisy. Between the train every 20 minutes, noise/ loud music from other guests, smoking outside room balcony that comes thru the air conditioner intake vent. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for extended stay.

Everything was very good, from check in to check out front desk personnel are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and well cared for, house cleaning does a wonderful job. Some street noise can be heard

Staff was very nice but the room was overpriced as compared to other Best Westerns where we have stayed.The main building where breakfast was served and where there were business meeting rooms where more modern and pleasant.

The location, staff and parking included on the premises meets your every need. You have the diversity of visiting Manhattan and coming back to your room in a small town with venues on every street. The safety factor is a welcome as well.

On arrival at a Recent visit - the hotel receptionist was absolutely brilliantly friendly and informative. A great first impression that has obviously lasted. The rooms are really good value which are well equipped with adequate space and above all - very clean. Reception offers 24/7 complimentary coffee and water with comfy seats to while your time away. The hotel's Italian restaurant is presently closed fir renovation; however there is a plethora of restaurants of all cuisines within short walking distances. We met hotel manager who was very nice indeed and he specifically asked about our welfare and asked if there was anything extra he could do. His staff obviously follow his great customer service. The hotel is situated close to a rail station which provides easy access into New York City Centre. Also quite close to JFK airport (Uber $30) and 25 minutes at rush hour which I thought was very good value.

We were here for a funeral. Location could not be better. Right by train station and many restaurants. Also right near St. Agnes Cathedral and the funeral home we went to. Cala Di Mare restaurant was closed for renovation. The room had two double beds. We had to unplug the clok to plug in a cpap. The outlet was quite dusty but the room was otherwise clean. Staff was friendly and helpful

We stayed at this hotel during a renovation on our home we live very close by, I have to say Linda Sky and Brian were all so nice at the front desk they were very accommodating and helpful. They helped schedule our stays around our renovations. This will be our go to place for family and friends when they are in the area visiting!

When I first arrived at the Hotel I wasn't to sure if I would be happy or not but Brendon and Brian at the front desk completely changed my opinion. They were both very professional and accommodating to whatever I needed. The next day at breakfast I was shocked to find out that the person helping me with the waffle machine was the General Manager of the Hotel. The only reason I found out is because when I asked To speak with General Manager about how good the staff is Andrew emerged from behind the curtain of the front desk. Him and Linda were such pleasures to deal with as well. The cherry on top was the maintenance man helping me down with my luggage. I love this place and I will be back.

A convenient hotel to Rockville Centre but tired. Rooms were clean and a pleasant staff. Unfortunately it is located close to the local fire station and with old windows there is no sound deadening.Lots of ambulance calls. Many wallpaper seams are rolling. The breakfast should be avoided, head over to Dunken Doughnuts.Hot foods were cold. Breads selection was limited and only a few pieces of each. The tables had not been wiped and the waffle machine was a mess. One of the poorest Hotel breakfasts I have experienced.

Deadbolt on our room wasn't working and they didn't want to do anything about it. Took 30-45minutes to get another room and this was at 1130pm at night. And smokers were everywhere on property so it smelled like smoke everywhere. The smell was also in the rooms and elevators. But the room was clean.

So helpful at front desk! Asked for a late check out at noon and they gave me an extra hour on top of that! They have good coffee, and the breakfast had some low carb choices (eggs and sausage). Room was clean and the water pressure for shower was great for being 4th floor. Internet is pretty fast too! Definitely will book again! The area is also pretty nice!

I enjoyed the hotel, they had a nice staff, location and outdoor pool , also close to lots of places to eat. the only issue I had was with the night time security guard who yelled at me for smoking in the wrong section--even thought the smoking area isn't identified with any signs, I work nights about 14 hours a day so it was about 2 am and he was very rude and very loud about it when a simple could you move to the area about 20 ft to your left would have been fine.

We had a great stay. Good value for the money. Staff was excellent. Clean. They had everything we needed. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the overall breakfast quality but it did help get everyone on the move in the morning. We really loved the pool too. Great for winding down after a long day of sight seeing.

We chose this hotel because of the location and the "Certificate of Excellence" given by Trip Advisor, which I will NEVER trust again! Check in was pleasant and fine. Property looks ok from the outside though it seemed there might be section 8 housing there. We were offered a choice of floor, so I picked the 5th. The room was NOTHING like I expected. First of all, this is a motel, not a hotel. The room had an overpowering stench of stale smoke and deodorizer. I spent the first 20 minutes searching for bed bugs, which I didn't find, however, I just could not feel comfortable. The room was old and in desperate need of a makeover. The noise from the outside sounded like the people were in our room, and then a knock at the door... a person who I would describe as homeless and either intoxicated or on drugs looking for someone he had lost. That was the last straw. I went online and booked another hotel... oh, the Wifi was good. Terrible property. TRIP ADVISOR, you need to screen these reviews. There is NO WAY this place should be awarded your "Certificate of Excellence". Shame on you!

This location is great.Train is located right behind the hotel. Breakfast is included and very good. The staff is very friendly. Linda and Kayla were very helpful with directions. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Room with old furnishings, poor cleanliness, poor breakfast. Very noisy air conditioning. Quite comfortable bed. The room price is very high for the quality level of the hotel. I would not choose this hotel again.

When arriving at hotel Linda and Kayla who greeted us were wonderful. Our 1st room was ok but the actual leaked and the carpet got wet. Our first breakfast was cold and very little food. Our second room was by the street and very noisy and hard to sleep. Great location and great service.

My wife and I stayed in Rockville Centre this past week for our 36th wedding anniversary. The stay was wonderful. The manager Linda and staff did an awesome job , they took great care of us the whole time. We had driven 360 miles to get there. We were catching a mets game, taking in the beach and doing some fine dining. They were able too get us into our room early, which was great. Extra towels and blankets also. The entire staff was professional and very helpful, right from checking in to check out. I have been staying at this facility on and off for the past 18 years. I would recommend this Best Western to anyone!! The rooms, lounge area, breakfast, all was super. Please keep the staff together If possible they work great together!! It will always be my first choice. Thanks again Brant!!

Not the newest of Best Western locations however it was clean and fairly comfortable. The staff were friendly and accomodating. This was our second visit to this facility. The complimentary breakfast was complete.

The first couple of times I stayed at the Best Western Mill River Manor in Rockville Centre (in 2016), I came to be with some friends who were having surgery at South Nassau Communities Hospital. I was absolutely amazed at how well the staff took care of my friends and their families. For this third visit (May 2019), I was the one having surgery. I cannot tell you how fantastic the Best Western staff were. I am glad to call the Director of Sales, Linda Olivieri, a friend of mine. She made me feel like this hotel was a home away from home. She and front desk associate, Yamilet, got me and my mom settled into a quiet room on the 4th floor. When I had a difficult time with a late taxi driver on the day of my surgery, Linda and another associate, Kayla, personally communicated with the taxi company (with grace, even though the cab company operator was abrasive) and then found me another way to get to the hospital with time to spare. The 4th-floor housekeeping staff kept my room very clean and were so kind when I was recovering from my surgery. General Manager Andrew took care of so many details, like overseeing the creation of new breakfast menu items (and delivering them personally to our table) and taking care of guests who had emergencies and were in distress. It's the people at the Best Western Mill River Manor that makes this hotel special. They aren't just "doing a job". They truly understand service with a heart. My mom and I did not have to worry about anything other than making sure that I got better. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who made a difficult trip as comfortable as possible. God bless you all.

At first, I was disappointed that this apparently older hotel had outside corridors, but that turned out not to be a problem. There is an elevator in a covered area, so no stairs! Breakfast was fine. The room was clean and as expected for a chain. Some might be put off by landing planes at JFK...I happen to like seeing them. Overall, a fine place to stay if you're in Rockville Centre area. And right around the corner is Monaghan's Irish Restaurant..it's pub-like and very convenient and tasty for dinner.

I have stayed her many times over the past few years. The prices of the rooms are always reasonable and the location is great. The LI railroad is 1/2 block away for a quick ride into Manhattan. If I deal with Andrew, Linda Kayla, Jonathan, or anyone else, it is always a pleasure to check in or out. The Best Western offers breakfast if you do not want to have to look for a diner to eat. There are also many restaurant for dinner in the area.

Linda Olivieri and her assistant Kayla made room block reservations easy and straightforward. Consistently warm and hospitable, she went out of her way to accomodate my need for additional rooms despite everything being fully booked for the dates requested. Over from the U.K. for 6 nights, use Best Western a lot in the U.K. and they are normally a good price and a good standard. Wanted something on a budget close to the public transport, so this is ideal as it is next to the Long Island Rail Road stop. I did my research about this place beforehand so I wasn't expecting it to be amazing but it is a bit run down. This is an old style motel, it is in need of a refurbishment but room was clean and the TV and Internet were fine. Breakfast was very basic and limited and not very good. The was a bad unclean smell from the stairs going down to the breakfast area. It can get noisy outside at night, especially at the weekend with idiots playing music from cars and behaving anti-socially at 2 am. Not sure I would return but it was okay overall but only just okay.

Location was good. But, the hotel, although "renovated" was old. The water pressure was so low that I could hardly get the soap out of my hair. The bed was so hard that it hurt to sleep on it. I would never go back or recommended this hotel to anyone. And, one day, it seemed like the sheets weren't even changed.

The Best Western at Mill River Manor is the best hotel in Nassau County! Andrew the GM is awesome. He wants to make sure his guests are comfortable and happy. Linda is a sweetheart, always smiling and happy to help. Kayla is also very helpful! She is funny and makes sure you are settling in okay. But overall i wouldn't stay anywhere else. Everyone here makes you feel like family.

I will always and only stay at this facility when visiting NYC. This venue has a short LIRR ride into Penn Station and the train is directly behind the hotel which eliminates driving to catch the train. This hotel has the best location for walking distance to restaurants, bars, coffee bars, movie theatre, and so much of a small town feeling when you become tired of the BIG APPLE.

When ever I go to Long Island, being able to stay at a very welcoming and clean hotel is always nice. Always being welcomed and having Andrew and Linda in charge is the best service ever and their staff show their dedication to the service I highly appreciate. The continental breakfast as well was delicious and the rooms were spotless. The entire location was kept up to date and I always recommend to anyone in the area to stay and I will continue to stay at the Best western when ever I'm in town.

The staff Kayla and Linda are terrific. The location is amazing. Walking distance to the center of town. Breakfast is included and always good. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Overall a wonderful experience.

Front desk staff: young and untrained. Not friendly and don't make eye contact. Need customer service training. Parking: insufficient. We had to park off site at high peak hours. Room: overwhelming odor of deodorizer. What are they covering up? Bed: hard as the floor. No padding, no cushioning, old and flat. Needs to be replaced. Face mirror: placed up so high that only a person 6 ft tall or taller can see their reflection. Breakfast: food choices very limited. Coffee and juices are watered down. Staff doesn't wear uniforms so you don't know who works there and who to ask for refills of creamer, syrup, etc Homeless family with all their worldly goods obstructed the main elevators and access doors. Obviously section 8 housing in the hotel. Had to ask the parents to hold back their toddler so we can exit to the parking lot. Deplorable.

Mill River manor best western is the finest inn buy far on long island..the staff is friendly , kind and professional...Linda and her daughter are the best in the business..they care about you and your stay and make it much more enjoyable..try it you will find it the same way..

What more can I say about the staff at front desk other then phenomenal sweet & last but not least they are very professional. (Linda, Kayla & Yazmin) went above and beyond anytime they assisted me. You guys were the greatest by far! From the rooms to the staff and the breakfast (Andrew "The Chef" looking at you He's also the GM might I add, great guy.) everything was great and reasonable. They're plenty of stores and bars around so if you need to shop or perhaps you want to cut loose it's all walking distance. Honestly top recommended.

I stay at the Best Western 3 to 4 times a year for business. The location is great, 45 minute train ride to NYC. Linda and Kayla are always so accommodating and very friendly. The price is great and includes a complimentary breakfast.

We stayed here will attending the PGA tournament. Decent location. Lots of choices for restaurants. Very nice complimentary breakfast. Room was OK but could use an upgrade. Old style 'motel' room with sink outside bathroom.

This is a section 8 hotel. When checked in room next to us where smoking weed which the smell enter our room anywhere dealing drugs out of the room. Within the first 5 minutes many shady people entered and left there room. Had to switch rooms. People live at the hotel. Did not feel safe especially with having my 1 year old with us. Drug addicts hang outside all hours even during the day you are afraid to leave your room to go to your car. Requested handicap accessible with roll in shower. Neither room was handicap accessible. This place is a disgrace to Rockville centre. Stay away especially of you have kids foe yours and there safety

I had read many reviews and no one mention that this is a motel not a hotel. If I had k ow this I would have never booked here. I was shocked to see this low low motel, rooms out dated and the rooms are outside not inside of the building. Yuck yuck yuck, I felt like it was on the 80's. I guess the good reviews are for people who like motel living. The room oh boy not for me, the sheets look clean but did not appearance of cleanliness. Why any one would choose this piece motel is beyond me. The Hampton in was over booked,now that is a nice hotel in the hotel. and for the breakfast I heard it was limited crap put together in an unorganized way. Thank god for amazing diners in the area. If you wanted to be surrounded by motel people do not go here.

I stayed for two nights to visit family and to take care of some personal business in Manhattan. The location is super! Everything I needed locally (bank, supermarket, drug stores, etc.) was within easy walking distance.The hotel is literally right next to the Long Island Railroad station--so getting to/from JFK and Manhattan is no problem. The room was very comfortable and clean. Plus, staff were super helpful and accommodating--especially Andrew, Linda, and Luz! I would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights, it was very clean, and the front desk was very helpful The one downfall is that the restaurant and bar/lounge is not open anymore but it was a short walk across the street to restaurants

Honestly I love this Hotel. The customer service here is the best in the business. Whether it's Linda or Andrew I always know that I am in good hands. I always get a room in a good location and the the breakfast here in amazing. The chef in charge of breakfast is amazing. Jeff really cooks a good meal and he is a huge asset to the company. I will be back and I absolutely love this place.

There was a college fraternity/sorority spring social at the hotel conference room and most stayed at the hotel as well. When we checked in around 10:30 at night, the lobby was filled with drunk college kids. There were not enough staff or security guards on site to keep them from yelling, fighting, and banging on doors all night! Even after calling the front desk - by several of us, they noise did not subside until 4:00 am!

Since there isn't a single person at the hotel right now that could help us, I figured I could leave a review here on our 30 minute ride to the next hotel with rooms available. There's a brand new employee at the front desk by himself while there's some kind of event going on plus myself and another hotel guest with serious complaints. I felt so awful for that young man. He kept calling and calling different people but didn't get a single response. How aren't there ANY managers or supervisors at a HOTEL while there's an event in the first place? I've worked in the hospitality industry for a decade and I've never experienced such neglect to employees or an establishment. Now to why we left- sitting down on our mattresses felt like sitting directly on the metal springs that squeaked below us. We sunk so far deep into the bed, it was a hole. I knew these beds haven't been replaced in a long time. I took the sheets off and lo and behold- a yellowed 11 year old mattress. I did my best to inspect it without touching it but I'm fairly certain there are bugs. We packed our stuff immediately. Aside from the bed, the shower barely had any pressure to rinse anything off. The air conditioner(?) was blaring so aggressively we couldn't talk to each other at a normal volume. This place should be advertised as a motel. It's a dirty, old motel. The man at the desk felt bad because he didn't have the authority to refund my card and the managers who did have authority weren't answering his calls. He said the manager would have to “assess” the situation. I expect to be fully refunded. It's 11 o'clock at night. And tomorrow, my second day of what was supposed to be a fun birthday weekend will be spent on the phone talking to the manager and his manager I'm sure. This place is disgusting. It shouldn't be listed. It needs a serious health inspection. I can't believe we have to drive out to another hotel right now...

Whenever I go to visit on Long Island, I stay at the Best Western in Rockville Centre. I find it is the best deal around for your money. The rooms are always clean and the desk staff is always welcoming. When I checked in yesterday, I was greeted by Linda. She, and Kayla, both helped me get checked in quickly. Since there was none else checking in at the same time, they both worked on this together. When I got to my room, the heat was set at the perfect temperature. Each room has a microwave and refrigerator in it. I like the fact that if choose, I could always heat something up or have a cold drink later in the evening. Each morning there is a complimentary breakfast served with eggs, waffles, breakfast meat, and a variety of other foods and drinks. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within a short walking distance of the hotel. Finally, if you want to travel to New York City, the train is 1/2 block away from the hotel and a short 40 minute ride.

The hotel is neat and good for family stay. Staff are friendly and nice to guest. I initially wanted to stay for only three nights but the good experience I had make me change my mind and stayed for 8 nights.

the look of the hotel was nice, still doing construction in curtain areas, bathroom was kind of small , but was updated. for a one night stay over the hotel adequate and served its purpose. should be a nice hotel once the restaurant is open again

This is a motel. Expect a motel. Corridors are open and room windows face the walkways. The rooms are clean, small and showers fairly good. There is a bit of a smell to overcome smoke in the non-smoking rooms. The staff is friendly. Lots of outdoor noise even over the weekend as you're right next to the train tracks and in an urban center. WiFi is not fast but free. That said you're likely not paying top dollars and are 40 minutes away from Penn station on the LIRR. I wouldn't stay here by default but for one night it was sufficient. Just bring ear plugs.

The hotel looks shabby from the outside with poor onsite parking. The restaurant, that I had asked about, was closed for renovation-I wasn't informed. Staff was friendly and my room was clean, attractive and comfortable. That was the only positive. The walls to the room were paper thin and I could hear conversations in the next room and in the outdoor corridor clearly. I was there for a 2 day workshop and was appalled at our service. The room was freezing. We complained constantly and many of us wore winter coats the entire time, but it was never fixed. Coffee was tasteless, wasn't refilled, hot and cold water weren't refilled. We had to ask for cups twice at different times. When the conference room was used by another group at night, it was not cleaned or set up for us the next morning. At breakfast, some food options and milk was not replenished and many items had run out. I was repeatedly told "wait 2 minutes" for each item that was depleted. I will never return to this hotel. I was appalled.

The room was clean and confortable. I was staying here to attend a wake and a funeral. Upon arrival I asked for an iron to iron my shirts and Linda at the front desk volunteered to do it for me. Now that's customer service!!

Parking was limited. Very loud if you stay on first floor. Our bed was kind of dipped down in the middle , which made sleeping hard. Very close to lirr train for quick ride into city. Plenty of stuff near by to eat and was easy to find and get to.

The Best Western is a great place to relax and regroup even though its for business---- Linda and Kayla at the front desk always make my children and I feel at home and cater to our every need no matter how big or how small. All that matters is that my kids are happy and Linda and Kayla always assign a nice clean room and greet us with smiles when we arrive as well as smiles when we leave. From easy check in to clean rooms and service its wonderful. In a world today when we are all just numbers its comforting and so wonderful to be treated like kings and queens when we stay at the Best Western. Linda, and Kayla I thank you so much for always going above and beyond. The front desk staff is superb Jasmine knows me by name and also goes above and beyond and the late night staffers always so kind. Breakfast is delicious and great staff as well always clean and neat and my kids love the spread from danishes where we can make our own waffles...fresh and never a cold donut for the road. This facility is centered in the midst of everything and places you want to go. The train into NYC is just across the parking lot, making the travel very simple. The frint desk staff and breakfast personel are helpful and kind. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place Is the front desk. The second we walked in, were greeted by Suraj with her welcoming smile. Suraj was extremely helpful and her customer service skills were remarkable. She checked us in within seconds and we were very happy with the service she provided and accommodating early check in since we had long day. Hats off to her. Thanks for making our visit at best western mill river manor incredible!! We will definitely stay again!

This was the perfect place for our needs, we needed to be near Beth David Cemetery, needed to be near a grocery store, and best of all a one minute walk to the train! The hotel was pretty average but clean. The people were very helpful and accommodating, particularly Yasmin! The breakfast was fine but it's location in the basement wasn't pretty! The room had a few glitches but nothing that would prevent me from staying there again. No string across the tub to hang wet things, light switches and plugs that seemed awfully loose, a make-up mirror you needed to be 6' tall to see in, lol! Nit picky yes but not too bad, clean was my main objective and that was fine!

I have stayed at this hotel a few times now. Rooms are nice, very clean, and plenty of space. And I have to say, the staff is amazing! From the front desk, to the cleaning people, they are all professional and so friendly! Everytime I check in, Yasmin makes it a quick and easy process! When I had an issue, she helped me fix it, all while being so pleasant and patient! She truly goes out of her way to make sure things are done quickly and efficiently. Suraj at the front desk has also helped me and always has a smile on and is also a sweetheart! I have stayed at other hotels, but the service I have always had here is hands down above any other hotel! Well they like to say that this is and I quote “this is a hotel and not a motel” however after staying where back in September for a family wedding I can safely say that this is most definitely a MOTEL!! To call it a hotel would be an insult to actual hotel's and I work in the hospitality industry myself so I know what I am talking about.The Motel's first impressions that you get is that very dated and it is, however Linda who looked after us on check in and out was very kind and helpful and is completely wasted working here, she was honestly the only positive thing I could say about the Motel, so thank you Linda!! Our room was extremely small, very dark with dated decor and there was constantly a smell of damp from the carpet and luckily we were only staying there for 3 nights as we were staying in the city for another five nights before we returned home, couldn't of possibly stayed any longer than that! There was absolutely no security, anybody could walk in off the street up to the rooms to the walkways. The wedding we were attending had the after party at the Motel and some creep who wasn't a guest in the Motel made he's way in and followed a family member of mine downstairs to the bathrooms and made his way into the ladies bathroom after her lucky another guest seen the guy follow her and the guest was an off duty police officer and he followed him down and threw him out. God only knows what would of happened to my aunt if he hadn't seen him follow her and there was no staff around to report this to, absolutely no security nothing!! Also the doors to the bedrooms are completely unsafe if you give them a hard push they'll swing open even then they are locked!!

The rooms are very clean and great pride is taken in the hotel. Housekeeping are excellent and the girls on reception, Linda, Kayla and Yazzie are wonderful. They are always smiling and create a great start or check in experience

When the restaurant/bar opens there is no parking in the lot. We have a valet but he seems to fill up the parking lot before going outside to another lot Front desk told us to park at the train station

Always come to me his hotel when I'm on Long Island. Kayla and Linda always treat me like family. The location is great with many restaurants to choose from. I will tell my colleagues to come to this hotel as well.

This is my second stay at Best Western Mill River Manor. I will stay here again in future visits. I like the location. I like the proximity to the train and it is a nice neighborhood in which to walk. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff and friendly and helpful.

I love this hotel. I come a Couple of times a year and it always feels like home. Kayla and LInda are great. They treat us like we are family. The location is great, many restaurants to Choose from. I definitely Recommend this hotel.

Clean, good facilities, restaurant on site. Short walking distance to amenities (grocery store, pharmacy, coffee shop, etc) . Convenient location, as you are close to train services. Also, very reasonable rates.

Excellent stay! Hotel is located two minutes from the train station, making it the perfect place to stay for those wanting to spend their time in the city without having to pay city prices for a hotel. Breakfast and coffee was delicious. Staff was very accommodating. Bed is comfortable, and the room was very clean. A few things to beware of though:1. The shower isn't very accommodating for tall people. There is also a “bump” on the bottom, so be cautious whenever using it. 2. There is only one washer and dryer on site. Also, you'll need to bring your own laundry detergent, and pay $3 in quarters to use the washer. The dryer is free.

We recently visited Long Island and stayed at the Best Western Mill River Manor. It was our first stay at a Best Western property. From booking to checkout, we were impressed with the customer service. While all the staff were wonderful, Yasmin, Linda and Julia provided effortless and genuine customer service. We prefer rooms that open to interior corridors, but all of the rooms open to the outside. Our room location on the second floor made up for this with easy access to the elevator, stairway and enclosed bridge to the front desk/ballrooms side. Rockville Centre is a delightful community with lots of great restaurants within walking distance. CVS and a grocery store are across the street. If you are traveling to Long Island, I strongly recommend the Best Western.

The ladies at the desk are always smiling and so welcoming , they truly care about their guest offering all options to make you feel as comfortable as possible. They go above and beyond every visit ! Thank you ladies!!

I was greeted by Yazmin when I checked in, she was awesome, very professional and helpful. Breakfast was great, room was clean. I checked out with Linda and Julia, they were just as awesome. I will definitely recommend to my colleagues.

We visit Long Island from the west coast twice a year and always stay at the BW Mill River Manor. The location can't be beat: a short walk to the LIRR, fabulous restaurants in the neighborhood, a CVS and supermarket across the street. The staff are always great to work with, including Linda at the front desk and Alexa in the breakfast room. The breakfasts, by the way, are better than most hotels we've stayed at, with sometimes a treat of extra special pastries. It's not glamorous, but homey and pleasant. We will definitely be coming back on our next trip to Rockville Centre.

We were in town for a surgical procedure and was looking for a hotel near the Nassau Community Hospital. My Sisters, their husbands and I were treated like kings and queens by Linda (the hotel manager) and her daughter Kayla.

Linda and Kayla at the front desk will make your trip. They're friendly, informative and will do what it takes to make your stay the best! The hotel is walkable to the Long Island Railroad. The town has a ton of restaurants and your right on Sunrise highway and easy access to the parkways. Don't stay in Manhattan, your only 38 minutes from Penn Station. 7th ave. and west 34 St. By car the midtown tunnel is over $8, without eazypass $17 no toll, they mail it to you from your plate, and you haven't even parked yet. The lot will be about $50 plus tip. IF! you find street parking, good luck figuring it out, just because other cars are there doesn't mean your cool there. They have this little black sign that has stars on it that means no parking after 11pm or midnight, not sure which, but they tow you $$$$ Round trip on LIRR is less than $20.

We recently moved out of the area due to a work transfer but my children and I needed a room and out of all 4 hotels local Linda the manager called back and made room for me and my kids. We won't stay anywhere else and will be back throughout the year. Linda and her daughter Kayla are so friendly and kind and follow up with phone calls to me after our stay to make sure all was wonderful with our stay. I think Linda goes above and beyond her job to make sure her customers feel home away from home. Kayla does the same. Attention to detail make sure our room is perfect. Thanks Linda thanks Kayla ! The hotel was dated but wasn't terrible, the room was ok. The main problem i had was with the parking, this is a hotel and "Conference Center" and being that it is a hotel over 5 floors with on their website stating complimentary parking that there would be adequate parking. If they have 75 spots i would be amazed. Needless to say it took the hotel 45 minutes to find a parking spot for me, the TV in the room didn't work, even after i had someone come look at it, and when i called back i just kept being placed on hold. I did speak to the general manager this morning with hopes of at minimum empathy and maybe an apology, i got excuses (Same as the staff gave) and not a single i am sorry for the experience. Some other highlights, the area is noisy so expect a lot of noise, and they do not patrol the exterior hallways so it can be loud to all hours of the night. I wasn't able to tell the manager of the yellow water that came out of the shower into the tub as i left when he was curt to me and just giving excuses.

I come to this hotel every time I come to Long Island. The location is great. I'm always welcomed and make my reservations with Linda, she is great. Andrew and Kayla are very helpful as well. The breakfast is good and many restaurants to choose from. I definitely recommend.

This is not the quality I expect when staying at a Best Western. We paid $179 for a Saturday night stay. This place is really a seedy pay by the hour type of lodging! I really don't understand how anyone can give this place an excellent review (maybe fake?). There is no security despite being in a commercial strip of Rockville Center. The Hotel staff are no where to be found, The noise from Sunrise Highway went on till 2 am with racing cars and motorcycles on one side of the hotel while the LIRR train sped past the other side of the hotel! You can hear everyone walking through the walkways outside your room and cars coming in and out of the tiny parking lot in the middle of this motel style hotel. I don't see where any renovations are being or have been done. The hotel pictures are Really deceptive. Planting some flowers doesn't make a hotel renovated! The entire hotel has dingy carpeting and the downstairs conference room where they serve breakfast is just old and ugly! The restaurant was closed while we were there. The rooms are plain and our bathroom had a leaking rusty tub, noisy A/C and damp carpeting. Forget about non smoking, our room reeked from cigarettes. I couldnt wait to leave! Not a place for families!

This hotel was in the middle of the road under a bridge and in the median. I stayed here for a wedding all guests were staying at this hotel. I was in room 100 on the corner. It was very noisy and you were right on the corner of the street. There were fruit flies in my room as well. We asked for a room change and were told There were no rooms available. I had asked for a fork and paper plate for my room so I could eat something and I was told to go look downstairs myself. The room was dark and I was the told to get out and wait outside by someone else. Another guest that was staying with the wedding had dirty sheets completely stained with what appeared to be coffe but who knows and was given an attitude by the staff about changing it. They made her change the sheets herself and didn't even want to remove the dirty ones from her room. Inwould not recommend this hotel again to anyone.

What a great experience and great price. I was welcomed by Linda and Kayla when I arrived. They were so upbeat and helpful. The waffles at breakfast were delicious. The room was cool and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Room was fine, however there are some inconveniences due to the renovation in process. The temporary breakfast area can only be reached by walking down a set of stairs and the TV was not operational because the antennas were down while they're working on the roof.

Even though the hotel was remodeling, it didn't effect our stay at all. We had a last minute funeral and had no problem getting a room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. We had a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. The lounge was a nice feature after the stress of the day we had.

If your looking to just sleep here then it's ok. I wouldn't spend any time in the rooms. The pictures are very deceiving. The employees are very nice but need a little help on what they are doing. First time they actually gave another person the same key and room to mine.

This hotel is awesome. The location has many restaurants to choose from. It's very clean and they have a pool, complimentary breakfast. The staff Linda, Andrew and Kayla are so nice and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Six members of my family stayed at Mill River Manor between the 1st August and 11th August 2018. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were on the first floor but noticed the lack of security as anyone could walk on to the property from the street straight to the ground floor rooms. Not the best of locations because of the busy street and noisy traffic. This establishment is fine if you are passing through for a few nights. The breakfast was more or less the same every day. The only difference was that there could be bacon instead of sausage (which looked like a beefburger). Also paper plates and plastic cutlery were used which in my opinion does not portray a good image of a 'hotel'.

I've stayed there several times. Great rates, and the rooms are always clean. The staff is great. Vincent is very professional, friendly, and accommodating. There are many places to eat in the area, and its very close to the train station. I highly recommend it.

This is the only place I stay at when in that area. The rooms are always clean and the employees are always friendly and the prices are reasonable. There is also complimentary breakfast every morning. The hotel is 1/2 block away from the railroad that goes into New York City - the ride is about 40 minutes. The hotel is about 20 minutes from JFK Airport.

Our room was clean, plain, comfortable and worth the money. I would recommend this to all of my New York friends and family. Only negative is that the bathroom was small and the toilet kept running. I would stay there again.

The hotel rooms are impeccably clean and rates are reasonable. Front desk is accomodating and friendly, especially Yasmin. The hotel is half a block from the Long Island Railroad and St. Agnes Cathedral. Shops and restaurants are close by. This hotel is a gem. I stay here every time I visit Rockville Centre. The location and staff are awesome! Linda and Kayla went above and beyond welcoming us. We arrived early and they checked us in right away. The Front desk personel are very friendly and accommodating especially Linda and Suraj They are two of the nicest young ladies who greet you every day at breakfast with a very nice smile and a Good Morning, I had requested a high floor and I got a great room on the 5th floor, The housekeeping staff was very friendly and thorough and made sure our room was tended to even when we left late in the afternoon. I thought I was going to hear the train as it passed but it was so peaceful and quiet I was pleasantly surprised. Although some people may not feel that the breakfast is adequate, But They have a nice selection of items that would suit anyone and it is more than sufficient. if you cant find anything you like there then that's on you cause its convenient to just walk downstairs to the lobby and have coffee and eggs and sausage and toast and fruit!! not to mention the hot waffles and syrup Lol!! there's something for everybody. I would choose this Best Western again for any time I need to stay close to all that RVC has to offer. Thank you BW MRM Staff for an excellent week.

I stayed in the Mill River Manor for over a month. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The pool is really nice. The train station is literally at the hotel, but you would NOT hear the train at all. Breakfast is not the best, but certainly not bad. I have great memories from this place.

This place is highly overrated and overpriced. First let me make mention that the site clearly states they have a restaurant and lounge. In the 3 weekend days of my visit it was closed to guests for 2 of the days for private parties and although they advertise being open on Sunday they were not. Thankfully, Rockville Centre is a very nice area with other alternatives. In my particular room the remote control on the TV did not work, the phone did not work and you could not set the alarm clock. This caused significant stress on the last night when we needed to be up at 4:30 AM to catch a flight home. I don't remember how many times I had to go to the front desk and for a solution but it was a lot. The young lady at the desk was very sweet but not very efficient and the young man she kept sending to the room to do something about the problem, well I don't know what to say about him. Clocks were changed, that didn't help still couldn't set alarm, phone was changed and it still didn't work because the problem was in the wall connection. I said I wanted my room changed and was told they were sold out. As a last resort they promised to give a wake up call on the cell phone, which in fact they did. Meantime I woke up every hour on the hour looking at the time because I didn't trust their promise. This would be the last place I would recommend to anyone.

Great location, rates, staff and comforts. I was thankful to find such a clean friendly place. Yasmin was great at getting me checked in a bit early, given I just came off of a 10 hour road trip. I was grateful for consideration of the housekeeping staff and the front desk staff to get me into a room quickly.

The mill river manor hotel in Rockville centre is wonderful and Linda gives the main lobby a joyful feel. Great location with plenty restaurants for lunch and dinner or drinks. Andrew the manager deserves some type appreciation award. Damian and kayla also showed great customer service throughout the stay.

This place has the worst customer service. They charged us four times for a 1 night stay in a standard room. I've left the general manager 5 voicemails to try and rectify the situation, but he has yet to return any of my calls. He did, however, promptly respond to my poor google review. Not only was he not apologetic or helpful in the least, but he basically accused me of lying! The multiple charges to my account has not only left me with no money, but a negative balance due to overdraft fees. This is ON TOP OF the other issues we had with our 1 night stay. This service is absolutely unacceptable. They're the ones that charged almost $600 MORE than they were authorized. I also called the Best Western corporate line and the representative I spoke to was appalled by the situation. She then called the hotel and the front desk staff gave her the same terrible customer service! They ended up transferring her the same unanswered voicemail. I really need someone with the right authority to help me contact Best Western Rockville so I can get this mess straightened out. All I want to do is pay my other bills.

They both made me feel like family the moment I entered the lobby please have some cold water or freshly brewed coffee as they took down my name and information. I had made reservations for 3 rooms for family coming to NY from Ca for a family reunion. They both helped me at my making the most accommodating rooms for my family. This is an ALERT for travelers going to Long Island. This BW property put us in a room son the last floor with a small hole in the ceiling. It couldn't be fixed until the next day because, I believe, their roof was flooded. In addition, the shower head came off while showering. Maintenance repaired it but it fell off again when my wife showered later. Also, I asked for a reduction in the room rate but the manager never got back to me. Need I write more?

We had a great stay. We were here for a wedding and had a great time. Kayla and LINDA were very helpful with directions and restaurants. We definitely recommend this hotel. Close to beaches, restaurant.

We received excellent service from the time we arrived to the time we left. Need anything?-just ask! Centrally located, lots of restaurants near by. Close to the Long Island Rail Road for quick rides into the City. The room was comfortable and clean. On site laundry for the quick/emergency load of laundry. Continental breakfast was warm and good. In the office; Sky, Linda & Kayla were responsive and great to work with!

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. I was easily able to park my car and not worry about it. I found that I really didn't need to drive any where once I arrived. There are several restaurants nearby within easy walking distance and even a grocery store across the street. You want to go to Manhattan? No problem, a train station is behind the hotel. I also utilized the hotels boardroom for a small business meeting. It was very good. Lynda and staff went out of their way to be accommodating. Will definitely return.

My senior bus group stayed over Belmont Stakes weekend and had a great time. Linda & Kayla at the hotel made booking easy and went out of their way to accommodate all 40 senior citizens. My company will definitely book with this hotel in the future.

Great location, near the train station and great restaurants. Linda and the staff were very helpful and courteous. Complimentary hot breakfast included in great room rates. We have stayed here on several occasions and enjoyed our visit each time.

Stayed at BW Mill River Manor for the week. Absolutely wonderful experience. Breakfast was great, there are plenty of stores and shops nearby, and parking was a breeze. The staff here are good folks. Andrew and Sky took care of multiple requests from me without any issues. I totally plan on staying here a lot more while I am in Long Island. 5 stars from a seasoned traveler.

We stay at the Best Western Manor when we visit daughter at Molloy College. Excellent location, near the train station and many excellent restaurants. The staff is friendly and we always enjoy our stay!

We came into town for a wedding and the location was perfect. We were given a great price when we booked and overall very happy with the property. Our goal was not to waste time watching TV or stay on-site, we were here to have fun! Therefore, I didn't want to go to pricey so I did my research to make sure the property was clean and the location was convenient. I called family members, read reviews, found out people had stayed their recently for high-school reunions and was given the green light and was not disappointed. If you are looking for a resort, don't stay here, there are other options. This property is more of a retro-motel, very clean and I felt safe the entire trip. The pool was also a bonus since the weather was warm if you were travelling with children. Actually reminded me of the places we have stayed on road trips down Route 66 but plopped down on a main road in RVC. We were down at Long Beach enjoying the days, walking the boardwalk and at night we had dinners, gatherings, and finally the wedding. The breakfast was basic but did the job as you find in every other state. Most mornings we walked to a deli for bacon and egg on a roll which we define as NY comfort food. Can't seem to get it as good anywhere else. The restaurant had the room to move tables together so a group of 20 could sit together without an issue for breakfast and the coffee was good. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our group checked out the morning of the wedding and we had a few hours before the Church as we were driving out East for the reception. Andrew and Sky were amazing. They opened the pool area to us after check out and we sat around a table with shade enjoying the company. It was a hoot this many years later to visit with our friends and embraced that time at the pool. Andrew and Sky allowed us to use the restrooms on the lower floor to quickly change before the Church which made life much easier. I have stayed at much nicer, upscale hotels and not been treated nearly as well as the staff treated us here. I can't say enough about the staff! You can walk to countless restaurants and bars. Monahans was amazing just around the corner. You are a two minute walk to the railroad into Manhattan. You are a 20 minute drive to the beach. We took an Uber to the Rehearsal Dinner in Lynbrook for a few dollars which was also convenient. I would book here again without hesitation.

This place is horrible all around. The front desk isn't great, the breakfast is limited and the rooms are okay at best. It also takes so long to clean the rooms and the people around there aren't the best. Not coming back soon.

Pay hotel prices for a motel. Not wheelchair friendy at all. Dagerous place to stay for wheelchaie users. Hard to eat at resteraunt its never open. No haindrails to access lobby and no assisance with baggage. Automatic dootrs to lobby very dangerous to wheelchair. Rooms are not wheelchiar friendly, wheelchair showers are subpar.

I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It has a good location (although it can be a bit loud being on a busy road) and is clean. The continental breakfast is sufficient. The hotel could definitely use a overhaul but was a good value for the price. It seems like you must book in line to get the best price. When I tried extending my stay w the front desk they said they couldn't match the on line rate.

I have stayed at the Mill River Manor about 20 times over the past 8 or 9 years. Each stay was for either three or four nights. The professionalism of Ms. Linda Olivieri is the main reason for my returning again and again. No detail is too small to be addressed, no problem too large for her to solve. The rest of the staff takes its message from her, I am sure, because each and every employee is pleasant, friendly and competent. Her daughter, Kayla appears to be following in Linda's footsteps. She is a friendly, warm, pleasant individual very interested in the clients' satisfaction with their stay.

The best thing about this hotel...it's location. Located in the center of Rockville Centre, just steps from the Long Island Railroad station. We walked to everything in Rockville Centre, then rode the train into Manhattan So if you want to visit NYC and don't want to pay the high hotel rates there, stay here and just hop the train to/from the city. This is really a motel with all outside room entrances. Lobby and restaurant are nice with decent free morning breakfast. Rooms are small and a bit dated, but very clean. My biggest issue was parking. They had a party in their banquet room each night I was staying here, and the guests to the party too-up most all the parking, so there was no parking available for hotel guests. The management puts their banquet business first. I had to park at the train station way behind the property. So, not a safe parking option at night, especially if you are alone. The hotel general manager Mr. Chan even wrote me about their parking, "they are not guaranteed for all of our guests."

GOOD value and service for the price ; very friendly and attentive staff ; passed my wife's cleanliness test; amenities are satisfactory; breakfast was a VERY GOOD start to each day; hotel is convenient to all downtown services and attractions.

The Best Western was at a convenient location for where we needed to be, and was extremely affordable. The room was very comfy and clean. Lots of amenities for guests to access - complimentary breakfast, free WiFi, workout center, business center... would definitely stay here again if we were in this area again.

Yeah I know there's other nice hotels,motels out there and if you decide to stay there God bless you. However I'm just giving my experience of staying at the best western hotel in Rockville centre.The staff here showed me and my wife the up most respect I understand it take a team to run a good business however every place has that special person. But here at the best western in Rockville center there's 3 special people who go beyond there way to make us feel welcome, and that meant a lot to me and my family. Before coming here me and my family been going through some things and it was a blessing to feel they really cared. We needed to stay overnight near Valley Stream recently; the Rockville Centre area provided the best choice of medium-price hotels so we focused there. Our preferred hotel chain was charging $200 for a single weekend night so we decided to price shop a bit. We ended up using Priceline, "best offer" tool; our $100 (plus fees and taxes) bid was accepted by The Best Western Mill River Manor. Our room was clean and comfortable. However, the hotel seems to be a bit shopworn overall. We had a king room that included a desk, a small refrigerator, a microwave oven and a side chair with ottoman. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom, especially the tub and shower, could use an overhaul. The free breakfast was average; you could cook your own waffle if you like. Free parking was plentiful. If the price was right, we would stay here again.

the Breakfast is great....rooms are clean and comfortable and Pool area small but nice also. BUT....the service is great!!!!! I book a block of rooms for our group and we were welcomed in by Linda Olivieri. I did miss seeing her his year but the staff was just as wonderful. I will book again with her because of the wonderful service and welcoming we get from her and her staff.

Love this hotel. Clean and the staff is friendly and helpful! Linda & Andrew are particularly kind and helpful. There's also a young lady, brunette with glasses, can't remember her name but she's been awesome every time as well. They're very conveniently located, right next to LIRR and shops/bars and are accommodating. Most of the house keeping ladies are very sweet as well. Definitely recommend!

I've been coming to the Best Western Hotel since July, I'm currently staying here with my family temporarily. Linda and Andrew make things happen. Mr Alan, Sky and Damian are great as well, they make sure your needs are meet. Whatever I need for my room I get it, If something is not working, they send someone to fix it, If no one is around to fix it at the time, they send someone the next day. These Guys are great.

The room is small, but clean and efficient with microwave and fridge. Breakfast has hot items and lots of choices. Fitness center and business center are adequate and convenient. Location is great and within walking distance of many restaurants. Parking is free. Bar and restaurant on premises as well. Would stay again!

This hotel is great. I recently visited for a birthday party. Linda and Damien allowed early check in. The location is amazing. So many restaurants close by. Definitely recommend this hotel.Also; train within walking distance.

Stayed at this motel last weekend......both of our computers got hacked I realize this was a non secure web site.........many units appear to be occupied by government assistance customers......noticed in restaurant and generally around motel.....very noisy in walkways when you are in unit.....do not recommend

We stayed for an overnight as we were visiting family in the area and this was the most convenient location. The desk manager was friendly and helpful, she recommended a local restaurant which was a very good choice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Parking was easy and we walked to the local restaurant for dinner as this motel is right in the downtown area. If you cannot abide any noise this might not be a good choice as the motel abuts the LIRR station and the trains are frequent and noisy. It did not bother anyone in our party although we are all used to quiet neighborhoods, maybe we were just very tired!

We stayed here last week on a trip to the area to see family. There are only a few hotels in the immediate area and we chose this one because of price. We arrived on the coldest night of the year. Checked in near 10pm and the young girl at the desk (who had her friends there while working) assigned us a room. We got to the room and told her the heat didn't work well. She told us maintenance had left for the day. Then we asked for an extra blanket and she said housekeeping leaves at 4:30pm and she doesn't have a key to their closet. How does the front desk not have access to supplies like a blanket? When I mentioned it the next morning the morning front desk told me “well we're a 3 Star hotel.” I asked for new towels because I used them the night before to block out the draft at the door and was told housekeeping doesn't come in until 9:30am so the front desk didn't have towels. Don't plan on having a place to park your car if you go out on a weekend. We came back at 6pm and they had an event so the parking lot was chaos with a valet for the parties and we saw valet options other nights too, it looked to park for the surrounding restaurants. It's a non smoking hotel but many patrons smoke right outside the rooms so you'll smell smoke in your room. Then they throw their cigarette butts, we picked a cigarette off our car one morning. There was also freezing rain one night. We called and asked for ice melt to be put down because someone in our party is handicapped and they again told us maintenance had already left. So basically don't expect anything outside 9:30am-4:30pm. Next time I'll spend a little more money and go to the Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn.

Stayed at this friendly property when we were stuck in NYC during the "bomb cyclone" of Jan '18. Sky helped me book our room when I called and was very kind and helpful. When we finally made it to the hotel, their staff was working overtime shoveling snow, and keeping the property usable for the guests. I even witnessed them (the staff) help a homeless man outside the hotel who was stumbling by, and facing the life threatening blizzard, sub-zero temperatures and high winds. I collected my room key and Ms. Linda very thoughtfully advised me that there was only one restaurant still open in Rockville Centre (a pizza cafe') and offered to call them for me before they closed. I took her up on the offer and we ordered two large pizzas from Front Street Pizza. Great call Linda!! The property is PERFECTLY located just one block from the Rockville Centre LIRR train stop (very convenient for weary travelers during a blizzard, or anyone wanting quick access to excellent public transport). In good weather, there are many exciting dining and shopping options only a few blocks walk from the property. The room was clean, but the wind did cause a draft through the room door (less than perfectly insulated), but the weather was extreme, and the room's heater was definitely up to the task of defeating the cold from outside. Overall, I'd definitely stay there again. Great combination of value, friendly staff, city access, and local dining/shopping. Thanks for a nice stay!

I requested a three night stay online at this motel. Upon arriving late night after a flight delay, I parked my car in front of the lobby area and as I exited noticed two vagrants standing and watching me. It was after midnight and very cold (approximately 15° out'. I immediately regretted booking this hotel and decided to stay only one night. . I advised the front desk assistant that I will only be staying for one night and to please change my reservation for that night only. He verbally said no problem and I checked in. I left at 5:45 AM and never went back. Three days later I receive a phone call from the motel asking if I'm extending my stay due to the snowstorm. I was shocked at the call and advised that I only stayed one night and I advised the front desk clerk of my intention when checking in. She told me she would get back to me but never did. I called there several hours later spoke to another person told them the situation and they switched me to the general managers voicemail. I left a detailed message for him and also did not receive a call back. I called back in the evening and the general manager (Allen) answered the phone. I advised him of the situation and he proceeded to advise me that I signed a paper that said three nights I would be responsible. He said he would speak to the clerk the next day and that I should call him in the morning or afternoon to find out the status. He spoke as if he was familiar with my reservation and I had signed a paper for three nights. I advised him that would make it more sense if he called me once he spoke to the clerk instead of me trying him in the morning and afternoon until I reach him. He said OK and asked me for my name and phone number . That's when I realize he was not familiarwith my reservation and he did not know for sure if I signed the paper for three nights. Between him trying to get me to call him again and him insinuating that I signed the paper but not knowing for sure, it raised red flags for me To be truthful I did not look at the paper I just signed it assuming it was all in order as I had just finished on telling the front clerk that I'm only staying one night. I was more concerned about the vagrants being outside and me having to walk through the parking lot to get to my room. I asked Allen if they had cameras in the parking lot and if they did they can see my parked car when I checked in and when I left several hours later early in the morning and that my car was never back after that. Again he was unwilling to put in the effort and advise that he would not check the cameras to see if I was there or not . I also asked him to speak to the front Desk clerk who I described so that he can confirm my conversation. I asked him if he can check my paperwork as I'm on the phone with him to see if I did say three nights or if the clerk did put in for one night and there was just a mixup. His response was the most unprofessional response you can expect in a situation like this. "i'm not going to go thru paperwork right now" I was shocked at that response and insisted that he go through the paperwork because I specifically requested one night and I will not allow him to charge me for three nights because of their mistake. He came back on the phone a minute later and said I signed for three nights and I would have to dispute it with the credit card company. Based on the entire incident I am still not sure if there is a paper that shows I signed for three nights. In any event it was handled completely wrong by the general manager. Even if I did sign that paper he can confirm with the clerk that I advised I only wanted one night you can also check the video and see that I only stayed one night. And if I did sign a paper that said three nights. While I should've reviewed it and not signed it, The front clerk should've given me the right paperwork to begin with. Now yes legally he can charge me for the three nights if I signed that paper But if you can verify I only stayed one night and that the clerk made a mistake, what kind of customer service is that? I gave the general manager the opportunity to do the right thing and even advised him that I would be writing this review and he acted belligerent and could care less. Very bad customer service.

Stayed recently for family vacation. It was extremely cold outside and we were challenged by outside entry to rooms. It is adjacent to the Rockville Centre LIR station which is convenient but the property is dated. There appeared to be many nearby restaurants. The front desk staff was very accommodating although we had an issue with the heat in our room and the overnight front desk was not as helpful. The manager did accommodate us the next morning when he heard about our troubles.

The hotel had a great location for the work I was doing. was clean at a good price and gave me what i need. Nobody went above and beyond what was necessary, but all did their jobs. Good experience and i will definitely continue to seek out BWs across the county. My experience has been good for a while. Bigs improvements by them over the years.

I stayed at this flea infested, hooker populated and drug runner stopover for work. I have never felt so unsafe, vulnerable and dirty than staying at this hotel. The staff is friendly, especially Mario, who had to escort us to our rooms because the key machine was not working. This meant we could enter our room unless we went to the lobby, waiting for Mario, and walked each of us to our room, every time we went out to eat. My room also came with complimentary dirty used thong, that was left on the lamp shade to dry. The housekeeping came through twice before I found it, which means either the housekeeper left it for me, or it was overlooked. The sounds of the highway felt like each truck was going to enter my room. The bathroom was cleaner than the lampshade, but still I had to shower when I came home and disinfect my clothing. I notified management about the dirty thong, and was not given a new room, or a refund, or any courtesy. A shrug was all I got. Stay away unless you like hookers, drugs, loud cars in your sleep and fleas.

My husband and I enjoyed the stay .The night was very quiet and in the morning they gave good breakfast .I just did not like having to go through the patio to go room because it was very cold and it was snowing

We were in town for a funeral and were out all day. Came back to hotel to find that housekeeping didn't come to the room. I called the front desk and was told that they respect people's privacy and that if you want housekeeping to come you have to let the front desk know. I told the person on the phone that we were not told this when we checked in. I've stayed at many hotels, including other Best Westerns before and have never heard of such a policy. Guess I won't be leaving a tip nor will I be coming back or recommending.

This hotel is great. I come here every time my business brings me to NY. Linda is great, she always remembers me and makes me feel very welcomed every time I come. So many restaurants, stores and railroad nearby. I definitely recommend this hotel.

I stayed here on my last visit to NY- tried the South Shore and it was a mistake! Checked in on a Saturday Night, they were having a very Ethnic Wedding...and everyone there INCLUDING the main desk couldn't care about regular paying guests...that were NOT PART of the special event. We were given a room that was nearly on the front main street-- literally, there was a door next to our room door that opened onto the sidewalk. People were standing out there talking and smoking. I closed the door and luckily we were so tired from our trip, we were able to get to sleep with the A/Con - even with the road noise etc. We checked out and moved the next day... The parking is next to and part of the Railroad parking, I was so afraid that my car with out of state plates (or should I say "tags") would be broken in to. Luckily the rest of the night and check-out was uneventful, but I won't be back.

I chose this particular property because of its convenient location. Near all the eateries, transportation as well as the businesses. Clean rooms and comfy as well. Staff was professional and responsive. A tremendous location that you will enjoy.

I and my employees stay there often on business and there are several choices of hotels in the area. The entire staff, including housekeeping, are always happy to assist the guests. Linda always greets you with a smile and remembers you by name. Best Western is fortunate to have her.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times, and just booked my 4th stay. Lots of business travel into the city and this hotel is perfect. The LIRR is right behind the hotel so makes it super convenient to get to the city. You have a 24 hour CVS within walking distance. The rooms are always clean and the beds are super comfortable. The staff is great. Parking lot is big, so parking is never a problem. Don't have any complaints.

Upon examination of our bedding I found what I believed to be mouse droppings. I discretely told management what we found and that we would not be comfortable staying at their establishment. The manager said that he would check it out. After he checked on it he informed us that he did not think it was mouse droppings but he thought it might be makeup and would not be able to refund us. I did not argue or cause a scene. I hope that this review will be our justice. Besides this experience this hotel should not be rated 3 stars anyway. A two at best.

The people were great and the bed was clean and comfortable. WiFi was without issue. Sadly, the whole building had an air of neglect and was really showing its age. Door locks didn't work, elevator doors stuck open, the main door into the lobby shook and screeched as it opened. Breakfast was okay (It was free, I don't expect much for free). had we paid $90/night, I would have been satisfied. But we paid almost $400 for a 2-night stay and the value simply is not there.

The hotel room did not appear clean. There was an odor in the room. At 5:02am the noise from the next room was too loud. I called down to the front desk twice before we were able to go back to sleep. :(

Very clean nice room! Wonderful staff! Great free breakfast. Walk right onto the train into the city. Many restaurants in walking distance. Just perfect! The street sounds didn't bother me at all ( nothing to do with the hotel).

Big shout out to Linda who helped me out big time with our visit to the Manhattan. I was in a bind with my car and was too nervous to druve in. She called a family member to ask about local parking (it was check out day for me) and ended up being able to stay parked at Best Western Thanks Linda!!!

Great price! Booked 5 rooms for one night with family for an event nearby. Rooms were clean and neat. Traffic a little noisy, but not the hotel's fault, what can you expect with a busy street and train running so close? Staff was great and accommodating. Bar was nice and Free breakfast very good plus to save us out of towners money!

The other occupants at the hotel were the most of the problems. Too noisy. After the first nite the staff helped us change our room. It was Halloween wee do I guess the clientele were partying overtime

I was attending an evening reception at an event space nearby and wanted to sleep over. This place had reasonable rates and was fairly clean. The bed was comfortable. I found the downside was that you can hear everything on the street and the air conditioner is very loud. When I woke in the morning I heard a commotion outside. There were police cars and an ambulance. I heard someone jumped from the fifth floor. When I put my luggage in the car I was fortunate that it was on the other side of the police tape because there were bloody towels on the ground. It wasn't the hotel's fault. The continental breakfast was very good. My brother enjoyed the eggs, I had a fresh waffle and my girlfriend had a yogurt.

I was having a medical procedure in a nearby hospital which required an overnight stay. Since I live about 70 miles away it was a tremendous burden lifted off my shoulder to find this hotel so we didn't have to endour rush hour traffic on the morning of. Plus, it was nice that my husband who has leukemia had a place to rest in between visiting hours. There were lots of restaurants near by for him to dine at too. He enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and the restaurant for dinner. Then dined out the next day. Water pressure in the shower could've been better as well as the comfort of the bed...but overall it was a good stay.

noise screaming early morning hanging out in hallways . really scary almost called the police. we had to check out a head of time. yelling outside our door. talk to front desk. gave me his card and general manager never returned our call. this place must be checked out by security .

We check in in sat. Oct 21 . Seemed nice . Until we got to our room. Everything was old. Then at night at 2:00 until 5:00 am. Kids were skateboarding screaming it was scary I have no idea what was going on. No security. Told the front desk in the morning. Who was nice Andrew he told me to contact the general manager. What a disgrace this place is. I say do not stay here. It was noisy & scary . They were banging on doors. We should of called the police.

I will stay there again in 6 months, Great service,and very clean **And walking distance to a lot of places*and washer & dryer***and great eating places within five blocks**and a drug store with in three blocks of the hotel*

Do not stay here, this is not a hotel it is motel and it's a dump. The night and early morning staff are rude, the rooms are noisy and small and over priced. This might section 8 housing unit. People were hanging out in the parking lot we felt unsafe. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

I just spent 3 weeks in the Best Western in Rockville Centre. I must say that the staff is wonderful, and Linda is the best. The rooms are clean and the service is great. They have a good breakfast in the morning, not just Danish and bagels. They have eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, and much more. But I can't say enough about the staff, Linda is so helpful.

Shower could not turn on. The maintenance guy couldn't get it to work, so how on earth was housekeeping able to clean the shower without running water? How can they provide a room where the shower does not work at all? Either housekeeping didn't clean the bathroom or they reported it to management and they did nothing to fix it. Also, why is Best Western so stupid to ask me to review this hotel? I just completed a survey on my experience that was very poor, then at the end they ask me to make a public review? So many layers of stupid going on here.

We arrived to find no parking spots. We had to park in the LIRR lot and hope we wouldn't get ticketed. The doors open to the outside which made it very loud. The doors to the upper floors were supposed to lock at 10pm (per the sign on the door), but we opened and went through it at 11pm. Considering the amount of random people lingering around the parking lot, I didn't feel very safe, especially with the doors open. The 3 times we left and returned to the property there were no parking spots and we had to park next door. It's not a private location, it's right next to a gas station and crowded shopping centers, so I feel it's really easy for people to just wander onto the property. Upon checkout, I approached the front desk and the woman working there just looked at me. I said, "I'm checking out," and gave her my key card, and she just nodded and did something on her computer and said, "you're all set" without smiling or asking us how our stay was. It seemed odd. The shower was pretty gross and had brown stains all over the bottom of it. The pillows were not standard size, they were small squares and were not comfortable at all. They give you about 10 of them, so I'm not sure why they couldn't have regular sized pillows and just give you fewer of them. Overall, we weren't very happy here, but we got what we paid for...it was the most inexpensive hotel we could find in the area.

The wife and I come here to visit our daughter at Molloy College on a regular basis. The location is great. Walking distance to the LIRR for easy travel to Penn Station, Manhattan. Access to lots of restaurants and shops. The rooms are a great value for the pricing - spacious, clean, and comfortable and free breakfast in the mornings. Most of all, the staff are courteous, professional, and friendly. I had great conversations and travel tips from them being from the West Coast; it's like a visiting an extended family.

We checked in late with our baby and ended up in possibly one of the worst room of the hotel. Street level and next to elevator. Needless to say we had a bad experience. No sympathy from manager or staff

I needed a last minute room for an overnight stay. Thankfully, their staff went the extra mile to accommodate my request. I would highly recommend the Mill River Manor for their extremely clean and comfortable accommodations. The front desk staff, especially Linda, was very helpful and friendly. The price point was more than reasonable and the complimentary breakfast made my stay complete. Conveniently, near transportation, dozens of restaurants and attractions make the Manor a gem. Why it even has a major Chase branch right a across the street. A great spot indeed.

The hotel provides a bed, a TV, good breakfast, is reasonably clean. Could it use a renovation? Yes. The service at breakfast and behind the desk is attentive. The location is good if you are visiting Rockville Centre. I'd hate to pay more than $150 for a room here.

Though I live a mere 10 minutes away in the town over, I have to say that the courteous and professional staff at The Best Western made me want to stay the weekend that we had our music business conference there. Our panelists and speakers had nothing but great comments about the service and the staff. Linda, the director of sales was instrumental is securing two rooms at the last minute for two of our guests who needed to stay an additional night due to change in flights.

This hotel is clean and staff is wonderful. I have had a better cup of coffee, but there is plenty of places to go to eat around town and get a cup of coffee. it is very conveniently located to many things which is a huge plus if you are not able to have a vehicle. However be aware, the cliental this currently serves is awful. One man stood outside chain smoking and taking phone calls all day and night. Another thing is, I saw multiple families staying.... which makes me feel like it's boarding for DSS. Also I am pretty sure I saw a drug deal go down in the parking lot. Needless to say ok for a man to stay but a single woman or family? I would not recommend.

I'm not comfortable with a hotel where the room doors open to the outside. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The free WiFi kept cutting in and out. There's a free breakfast that's quite humble. Considering that the hotel is in bagel land, the bagels were more like white bread. The coffee was good.

Take the time to consider this property on Sunrise Highway the next time you are visiting NYC. This town will give you that small town feeling as you walk around the neighborhood and talk to the friendly community. The greatest attraction is the LIRR that offers an affordable and short ride into Penn Station. This hotel extends a safe haven for you, your vehicle and belongings. You can't go wrong at Rockville Centre!!!

Arrived at hotel approx. 9 pm. No parking available in hotel lot. Front desk clerk generously offered his parking spot. Upon arriving in room, noticed floor lamp was tilting to one side and could not be straightened. It was a cool September evening and room was cool. Called front desk and he advised me to turn unit to "heat" position and run for awhile.Tried that but still no heat. Noticed cabinet for refrigerator had large gouges in it. Ceiling had watermarks from a apparent leak. No hot water in vanity sink in the morning. Overall VERY DISAPPOINTED and would never stay here again.

staff was very friendly. the rooms were clean and comfortable. a little pricey but worth it. also close to many restaurants within walking distance and there was a restaurant in the hotel and breakfast was included. breakfast options weren't top notch but they were adequate. would have rated overall experience excellent had the breakfast been better.

This is my third time I stayed in this hotel. The hotel is very basic but maintained properly. Required amenities are available in rooms, coffee machine, oven, fridge, wifi, etc. The only concerns I had is, air conditioner was giving a noise and very limited breakfast options. If hotel management can work out something on this, it will be perfect. Reception staff is always welcoming and helpful except for one staff member at reception at evening/night, I don't know her name. I called the hotel (one day before traveling) from Mumbai (Int'l call) to inform them for possibility of early check-in, and the receptionist picked up my call and kept on hold for couple of minutes (in spite I told her that I am calling from Mumbai) and then she informed me somehow in a rude tone that she can't do this !!. Needs training here, for handling customer calls. Location of hotel is perfect, 2 min walk to Rockville center train station, 2 min walk to super market, many restaurants, pub, bar options within walkable distance. So overall it's good option for stay. I can think of staying again, if management fixes some of the concerns mentioned above.

We flew into New York from Los Angeles to attend my mother's funeral. The last thing we would have needed was stress about our accommodations. Thanks to Best Western, we had none. The hotel is situated near where we had to be, with restaurants nearby, a healthy breakfast onsite, and other amenities if we had needed them. Thanks for making our stay easy under the circumstances.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay for 6 nights. From the staff to the room it was excellent. The restaurant attached to the hotel was superb. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is run professionally and with excellent customer service. I will return

We blocked rooms for my husband's birthday celebration. Family and friends from out of town were coming. We all stayed at the Best Western on sunrise hwy. The price was reasonable and the hotel was nice. I love coming to a clean hotel and I was very pleased when I got into the room. The bed was very comfortable and it had a microwave and a mini refrigerator. Great stay!

Needed a last minute place to stay.. very clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating, especially Sky.. I thought I had lost a sentimental piece of jewelry and called to see if I had left it..Sky promised that she would find out if it was there and call me back. Despite her hectic day, she kept her word and called me back. She and her coworker Sri were so friendly. This hotel is lucky to have them.

Excellent. We came to a wedding and all the guests stayed here, even the bridal party. The gift bags from the Bride & Groom were adorable. If you helped with that, you did a great job!!! The breakfast was amazing and we could not believe the choices we had for everything. It was also very clean and someone came out and asked us if we needed anything. We all met after the wedding and had a great time over coffee talking about the evening.

I am a frequent visitor to the Best Western Mill River Manor in Rockville Center, NY! The staff there are always attentive to their guests needs specifically the front desk staff Angelo, Sky, and Linda they really go above and beyond to make sure EVERY guest comes, stays, and leaves happy (not that I ever want to)! I have never seen a hotel run so well!!!!! The housekeeping staff (Gladys, Rosa) are top notch as well, each and every room is thoroughly cleaned and when I say, thoroughly, I mean these ladies even lift up the mattresses off the frames to make sure that there's no dirt, debris, crumbs, or anything else left behind, you never have to worry about or question if the sheets or the pillowcases have been changed; trust me they have!!! The housekeeping Supervisor Luz comes behind and double checks every room to ensure everything in the rooms are up to par! Even the maintenance man Paul was awesome he saw me walking across the parking lot with my arms full of bags and bottled water and ran to my aid to help me carry my belongings up to the room while all the other people just stared or walked by me as I struggled!!! The list goes on and on!!! Thank you Best Western Mill River Manor for your exemplary service and accommodations! (I was not compensated or accommodated for this Review this truly comes from the heart)!!!!!

This was a last minute stay. The rooms were clean except for the non privacy drape, the beds were comfortable there was no lifeguard so yo couldn't go in the pool but it was a short stay so that was OK

I've stayed here many times. The staff is helpful and the rooms are clean. Some fixtures in the rooms could be updated or changed. It's close to the long island railroad. The hotels is very walkable, with lots of near by food choices.

Good hotel for the price. No issues with the service, staff, or room cleanliness at all. The beds however really need to be changed out. The mattresses are old and sag..badly! Parking is an issue as well, as spaces are VERY close together and you will be squeezing into a spot - if you can find one, on the property

My daughter and I stayed for one night. Check in was a breeze. The person checking us in was very sweet. Check out took one second. The complimentary breakfast was surprisingly very good, better than I've had at other hotels. Not only bagels and muffins, but eggs, sausage, bacon and waffles too. The only thing I have to complain about was the bed and pillows. The room was verizon, very clean. The bathroom was spotless. The bed linens were very clean. But the mattress was too soft for people with back issues. I couldn't get comfortable at all. And the pillows were also way too soft. I used two on top of one another and still felt like I was laying with my head flat. May be time to update the pillows. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable stay

We recently visited family on Long Island and stayed at Best Western Mill River Manor. This property is definitely not a manor, but is a clean, convenient hotel/motel in a busy section of the city. We found the staff to be kind and polite, especially Sree who upgraded my husband and I to a suite and gave us a special room rate upon hearing that it was our anniversary. She was personable and friendly and really made us feel special. We did find the place to be a bit noisy (beer containers outside the rooms) and we really didn't like that because the rooms are open to the outside there were people smoking everywhere- including in the elevator! However I do feel that the staff works to prevent problems like this and would have been responsive if we had brought these issues to their attention.

We really enjoyed the location, the facilities, and the staff. A minor inconvenience of the toilet flooding, and the staff upgraded us to a suite which was above our expectations. We enjoyed the location and the facilities.

Let me tell you this is a great place to stay the staff is very nice an helpful mainly Linda she is great at what she does when you go to the front desk she greets you with a smile great place to stay love it

Sree was very helpful with my reservations and during our stay. The hotel is clean, in a perfect location, very close to the train (quick train ride to the city) and so many delicious food options are within walking distance. We would certainly choose to stay there again. Finding a hotel in a great location which is clean and great customer service is a gem.

I recently coordinated a family party which required reserving a block of rooms. I contacted Linda, the sales manager for the Best Western Mill River, who eagerly and efficiently assisted me in arranging a room block. I made the room block for two nights, but Linda and her team accommodated those guests who made a reservation outside the room block, at the same rate. Additionally, she called me about a month before to update me on the room block. My guests were happy with their accomodations, and i was happy that everything went smoothly. Thank you Linda and the staff of Best Western Mill River.

My stay at the Best Western Mill River was comfortable and professional.. The staff was helpful and concerned... When my 2 elderly aunts went missing in the hotel for a few minutes the gentlemen behind the desk went to check the cameras and found them in the bathroom on the lower level near the gym.. I was so relieved and happy that they were found... Thank God.. Kudos to your staff...

I had attended a Family reunion at the Best Western Ballroom, I just have to say the bartender was rude and he appear to have an attitude, the food was appetizing it's wasn't I expected although the young waiting staff was very friendly and professional I guess that's what the one star is for.

We stayed at the Mill River Manor while attending a wedding on Long Island. Location was very convenient for all guests. Hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. Great breakfast and nice lounge! Would highly recommend this Best Western property.

What can I say about the Best Western? The Best Western is very family oriented. The staffs here are simply the best. Andrew Hickey!words can't explain how much of a Gentleman,he is so understanding,kind and approachable,thoughtful,compassionate and such a delight.I hope his boss knows how much of an assets he is to this company..May the good Lord continue to bless and keep him always..Love you Andrew Hickey. Linda Olivera,is one of the most on hands and organize person,her and Andrew works excellent as a team. At first I didn't know how to approach her,but once I did I can tell anyone she is so sweet and a delight to talk to,very understanding and must I say she have an answer to all your questions. Stay anywhere else.....Our reservation was lost after booking weeks in advance. Finally got a room after waiting over an hour. Welcome bags for all of our wedding guests not given out, sat behind the counter. Room AC sounded like a 747 was in the room.....Do I need to say more? Utter disaster.

Nice older property, staff was excellent, rooms nice, clean and quiet. Nice restaurant and complimentary breakfast was very good with wide selection. Only issue was slow elevators. Great staff, very accommodating.

I've stayed at this location many times. The staff; Linda and Andrew are awesome. They have an outdoor swimming pool and lots of restaurants within walking distance. The train to new York City is within walking distance as well 40 minute to Penn station. I definitely recommend

Poolside during the day, then went to the weight room for a little workout, the to the computer room to check my email, ate a nice meal at the on site restaurant, then watched the fireworks from the 4th floor balcony. Very nice.

Very clean room, good breakfast, very kind staff, but a little bit too noisy. More a motel than a hotel, swimming pool is outdoor, you have a 24h grocery and pharmacy at 2 min walk. I certainly won't go back there.

The location of the hotel is perfect, convenient to everything- including the LIRR. It givves you a taste of the city without being in the craziness of it. Rooms are kept clean. Hotel staff is very cordial and accommodating. Hot Complimentary Breakfast doesn't disappoint.

M..... making noise at 3:00am and the direction did nothing about it. "make America great again" will not happen here". Room clean, noisy environment : road, train, and some unrrspectful idiots. Maybe the best hotel in this crappy area.

Good value, dated, not as clean as possible. Has a pool and workout room and free breakfast. Easy to get to. Good staff; Free paper. Free breakfast. Ice, but have to go downstairs. Bed hard as a rock; sheets minimal. Work out room, minimalist, in basement. Coffee awful, wish I could buy a good cup. BRING A KEURIG AND CUPS. Iron in room. Ice box in room. table and chair in room. Internet free, slowish.

The rooms and service were great! Sales rep 'Linda' stayed in touch after the sale. It was an important occasion for us and Best Western made our experience special. Each detail from the parking lot to check out was satisfactory.

Although clean, this motel is a disappointment. It is outdated and in serious need of renovation. Access to rooms is from parking lot. Haven't experienced that in years! Service is good, breakfast is the usual. Not too many healthy options that aren't carbs.

We visited this hotel while in the area for an Engagement Party. The decor of the hotel is dated and the lobby area is super small and dingy looking. The restaurant wasn't open when we arrived around lunch time and the breakfast was sit down when we left. Neither was conducive to our travel needs. When we got home from the party around 9 there seemed to be parties going on in the hotel rooms. There were groups of people sitting outside one of the lower level rooms and a group of people outside a top floor room. Smoking, drinking, etc. If I were staying solo, I wouldn't have felt comfortable. I wouldn't return and I wouldn't recommend unless this was your only option.

Walking distance to St Agnes Cathedral (for weddings & funerals) and to the LIRR for those doing business in NYC. We stayed in the new wing, where the rooms are small but comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The staff (front desk and cleaning ladies) were pleasant and helpful. We would stay here again, and recommend it to others.

My stay here is wonderful, Linda is so helpful and very informative i really appreciate when i get services like this. I will be coming more often and also referring friends and family here! I also love the pool and bar! Thank you guys so much

The service, price and location can not be beat. There are 25 excellent resturants within walking distance. The hotel is in a little, quaint village. From the hotel you can cross the street and hop on the train and travel to NYC. There a beautiful beaches within 20 minutes away.

I booked 37 rooms for my wedding which happened to be the same day as The Belmont Stakes. Linda in group sales worked diligently to make sure everyone had the rooms they needed. Her dedication to every detail was amazing. Linda is a Rock Star!

Perfect hotel, perfect location and great breakfast. Convient to great locations. Easy access in and out of the city. I would definitely stay with them again. Buffet breakfast included and could sit down and relax and enjoy.

Linda is amazing! She handles all our group bookings seamlessly. We have conferences through out the year and guest come from all over. We have hosted dinner gathering and various social gathering in the ball room and the room down downstairs. The food is great as well as the staff!!!

The hotel has been nicely upgraded with modern plumbing fixtures etc. The location at the railroad for easy access to NYC is great and it's good to have a small exercise room with machines and a restaurant on premises. Overall, a terrific value for the money.

Great Location , Andrew the hotel manger was very helpful in addressing our needs during our stay. Free breakfast was a plus , really good coffee , walk to everything and a quick train ride to NYC . !!!

I always come here when doing business on Long Island. Linda is awesome, she always takes care of my reservations. I love all the restaurants within walking distance and the train to the city 35 minutes is so convenient. I definitely recommend.

Hotel is more like a motel. Not worth the price. Very old and cheap. It's situated right near train tracks, you can hear the train go by. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Not what I was expecting at all.

Price during the booking was not honored at the arrival and was charged much higher price. Would have stayed at 4 star or 5 star hotel with the price I paid.Do not take advantage of customer just because he is in need and there is an exploitation opportunity.

The hotel is in a great location next to many bars, restaurants, cvs, liquor store. Close to train for easy city access. Great friendly staff. Clean rooms. Ate at the attached Italian rrestaurant which was excellent. It has a bar/lounge as well. Food was delicious and wait staff amazing. Free hotel breakfast is actually served in same restaurant which worked out great with seating for our large group that stayed there. Breakfast included eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, etc We stayed there as a group for a banquet at the ballroom on property which was also wonderful! So if you're looking to hold an event I highly recommend. We had 125 people. Rooms are elegant. Food and service excellent. I have read previous reviews complaining about noise. We had no issues even with a room near train. It is Long Island so everyone should expect it to be a busy area with prices higher than the rest of the country. The only thing I can say about the stay that was a slight negative was low water pressure. But that's reaching for a con. Highly recommend!

Front desk and breakfast staff were extremely helpful. The bed was super comfortable, with crisp linens. Breakfast had hot eggs and sausage, and make your own waffles in addition to juice, cereal, yogurt, muffins, etc. Check for online rates before booking directly with the hotel for best rates. Room included a microwave and refrigerator, which was very helpful because I use lactose free milk and had brought this with me. This is a motel type facility with outdoor corridors. Amenities were great.

Well we had issues with someone from another floor throw a beer bottle down into the parking lot almost hitting friends of ours, I called down to the front desk and gave them the specific room number of the person who it as I saw it happen. The woman assured me she was sending security up, upon security coming up he did absolutely nothing not even a knock on the door. Instead tried to tell me that nothing happened. This is completely unacceptable, upon my insistence that he do something he instead threatened to have me thrown out of the hotel.

Best Western in Rockville Centre, NY is a fine location that offers several local amenities. Easy access to the LIRR and Long Island beaches. Many fines restaurants within walking distance to explore.

The rooms either side of us were occupied by 20 or so 18to22 year olds , and they were partying all night long , and knocking on doors and windows just for fun , the night time security guard did not give a dam

My husband and I came to New York this weekend because one of our family members is suffering with stage 4 cancer. This trip was very emotional for both of us. When we left Virginia Beach, to arrived in Long Island we had no idea where we were going to stay. After being very disappointed by several hotels in the area we decided to try the Best Western. As soon as we arrived Andrew and Sky greeted us. They never knew what we were dealing with, but they had all great intentions to make sure we were comfortable. When we received our first room my husband didn't care for the location. Andrew immediately with no hesitation changed our room. Sky, was so pleasant through the entire change as well. This hotel and the people in it gave us such a professional and accommodating stay, this is my hotel as we embark on our family members journey with cancer. Thanks again: Linda, Andrew, Sky. You all were amazing.

Linda was amazing to work with ! She made my stay wonderful! We had a large wedding block set up and about 50 people staying. Everyone agreed how wonderful everything was. Staff is so helpful and friendly . Breakfast was wonderful and the staff went out of there way to make this a great stay for all of us.

Linda, the manager, is always professional, caring and helpful. We look forward to seeing her as much as our visit! The hotel is perfectly located. A short walk to the train into Manhattan, and to two amazing pubs to relax after a long day.

I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. The management and staff are extremely pleasant, efficient and attentive to guest needs, most especially Linda and Andrew, who greet you by name like family. I have been staying here on and off for several months. It is no wonder they are so often fully booked.

Enjoyed my visit to this facility, comfortable bedding and a very clean room. Nice cozy setting with easy access to all eateries, shopping, etc. Very helpful staff with professional attitudes. This makes the stay that much more rewarding.

close to JFK , friendly atmosphere . excellent restaurant cala di mare . confortable rooms cleans and roomy . gim ok and nice new swimming pool. very nice restaurants close to hotel . very close to rail station that in 30 mins gets you to NYC... and to JFK .

I would say more suited for a one or two night travel through. It's motel style outside facing access hinders privacy. Guests basically have to keep curtains closed. The surrounding area is busy and can get noisy. The hotel is located on a main intersection adjacent to a train station. The room was fairly small but again, good for one night. I didn't have time to try its amenities.

top location , very clean room.. What I like the most was the staff,front desk, Linda is the best!!! Andrew can't say enough,walk too any restaurant within 5 minutes, also a restaurant in the hotel small gym but very clean,washer and dryer,if needed.thank you all!!

The hotel appeared clean from the moment I checked in until I checked out. For a Friday afternoon, the front desk staff were pleseant and very helpful. I was there for a erdding and the shiuttle bus left before I could get on and the hotel was kind enough to call a cab for me and made sure that the car service came to the hotel right away. Excellent and caring service.

I stay at this hotel often and ALWAYS have excellent service and accommodation. Very Convenient to the Long Island Rail Road station. The are 20+ restaurants within a 4 block radius of the hotel. Very happy customer!

Chose this location due to an early flight out of LaGuardia. The location was perfect. Easy walk to LIRR and several good restaurants. Linda helped us with the LIRR, arranged our early departure ride to the airport, suggested excellent restaurants. Price was good. We had limited hot water one morning. I mentioned it to Linda and she had it addressed immediately.

There were very few positives about this hotel. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and sweet, the free WiFi was rock-solid, and the room was clean. Everything else was subpar. The bed was horribly uncomfortable, so much so that my back and legs ached by the third morning. The breakfast was mediocre and set up in a way that caused crowding and awkwardness. Given that the hotel is across from the railroad station, you would think that trains would be the noisiest aspect of our stay...but no. The housekeeping carts made a huge clatter on the sidewalks outside the room early in the morning, housekeeping staff called loudly to one another outside rooms, and a group of partiers were screaming at one another most of Thanksgiving night. It may be the noisiest place I've ever stayed. The hotel itself is clearly an old motel that was renovated; I know it's New York, but the $153/night charged seemed excessive under the circumstances. I can't say enough good about the front desk staff, though. They really went out of their way to address issues with our reservation and other problems. I wish that were enough to make up for the rest.

Had a wonderful Visit. Restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was delicious. Room comfortable a little small. Breakfast should be till 11am. Stay overall i give a 4 Stars. I would stay here again if i come visit again, maybe the weather will be nicer and we can use the pool.

We received a free upgrade to a suite since we had my wife, grown son and daughter together. Space was great, the front desk was so helpful and we had a great stay! Thanks for making our stay so great.

Our family, actually many families, stayed here on 9/29 & 9/30/16. The service we received was second to none! It was Linda Oliverie that was exceptional! She is truly great at her job, a very real people person! Everyone was wonderful to us, even when we had to be told to tone it down! We were there to celebrate our son's wedding...and we got a little rowdy! We, and many others, just loved this place! So welcoming, and informative about the area! We definitely recommend this place, and LINDA!

Needed a place near my high school reunion. This place was adequate. Needs updating. Bathroom was tiny. At least it was clean. Also, the rooms are not interior, so security might be an issue, although it wasn't for me.

Once again I am visiting and staying at the best Western I deeply want to thank best Western corporation for having and keeping such a wonderful and attentive Staff it brings me great joy to see Linda and Andrew as they have made my stay extremely comfortable thanks again keep up the good work you guys are awesome!

Nice clean hotel. Room equipped with clean linen, towels etc. Room temperature was working properly. Wonderful hot breakfast. Very nice front desk clerks. Close proximity to surround stores and strip malls. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker included in the room. Price was a little steep but maybe not for New York especially on a Friday night which was $145+ taxes. Included hot breakfast so I believe it was a good deal.

Every person at this hotel is great but one person stands out among the rest. Linda Olivieri, the Director of Sales, is top notch. This is my fourth time staying here in the past year and she has always tried to accommodate my needs. Her friendliness and helpfulness is always appreciated. Location of this hotel is another reason why I choose Best Western in RVC. It is walking distance to train, shops, restaurants, movies etc.

Friendly staff, nice property, good variety breakfast, clean rooms. Perfect for staying and near ground transportation. If you are sensitive to sound when sleeping, trains and planes might create some room noise but not a problem for me. Good value for the area. Would come again for sure.

For the last several years I have been staying at the Best Western Mills River Manor when traveling to Long Island. It is not a luxury hotel, but neither is there a luxury price. The rooms are clean, the hotel staff is helpful and knowledgeable about the area. In the past several years I have been staying here I have never had a complaint about this place. At first I was looking for a cheap place that was not a no-tell hotel. Now I rely on the Best Western Mill River Manor whenever I go to that area or to New York City. Parking is free at the hotel and there is a free breakfast every morning. Although this hotel is not in New York City, the hotel is 1/2 block from the Long Island Railroad which would take you right into midtown Manhattan for a 45 minute ride. I recently booked a block of rooms at the hotel for an event I was having at another location. The woman I dealt with, Linda, could not have been more helpful. She was always available for questions and gave me a good group rate.

Nice and clean!!!. It's located next to the train, great condition and the service was excellent. Very good breakfast included, many good bars and restaurants next to the hotel. VERY Good place to stay.

On September 24th our 50th class reunion banquet took place at the Best Western Mill River Manor. Knowing we would need a block of rooms to accommodate all our out of town guest I contacted Linda Olivieri, Director of Sales. From the moment I spoke to her I was at ease knowing that she was going to take care of blocking off our rooms, obtaining a special rate, giving me all the necessary information my classmates would need to make their reservation. Upon request she sent me a list of classmates that had booked a room. This gave me an actual account of who were to get gift baskets. Dealing with Linda and the entire staff was a breeze. Thank you for a great experience. As for the rooms, not one complaint came across to me. Our banquet was held in the hotel at the Gramercy Ballroom, the food was very good, service and décor outstanding I highly recommend the facility. Jeff Boltz, Banquet Manager made sure the evening went without a hitch.

After a fantastic experience during an extended business trip last year, I came back to the Best Western in Mill River Manor for because of the superior service I constantly receive here. The staff, Linda, Andrew and their coworkers, are always ready with a welcoming smile, and friendly service. I have not, in the accumulated months I have stayed at this hotel, had a negative experience. They always make you feel like a welcomed guest. I will continue to stay here anytime my business brings me back to New York.

This is now, for all practical purposes a welfare hotel. Whole families living there. I completely understand and sympathize with their plight, but I should not be duped into believing that this is a prime hotel when it is not. Noisy air conditioning and TINY room...I will not return.

Very nice staff, but deceptive website photos! Smelly room and doors open outside!!! quite scary as I had no idea it was a hotel like that! and I had never been to one of those. Also I was there with my 10 year old daughter, last minute booking going to JFK to pick up family and head back to MD. I could not sleep all night, left at the crack of dawn. Will never ever book a Best Western ever again!

We found this hotel when displaced by Hurricane Sandy four years ago, and were very impressed by the way this hotel is run from top to bottom. very well run from mgmt to desk staff,housekeeping and maintenence. Since then we moved out of the way of the water in Florida but our whole family is still in NY, so this is our first choice.. Linda at the front desk is the best and Alan, the branch mgr. is very good at what he does. We always leave happy.

Close to the LIRR wihtin walking distance. Plenty of shops around, also has a restaurant. Convenient to many locations in the area. I was on business and this was the best place to stay. Hotel could use some facelift

Disgusting- Cockroaches in my room, I would never stay here, The room should never have any bugs, this is a total nightmare for any guest to arrive and then find any bugs in your room, who wants to now take all your personal belongings and place them in a large garbage bag then take them to a laundry mat to clean so that you don't take any bugs back to your home!!!!

Am in NY on business at least four times a year, Obviously, I have a choice of many different hotels, but I constantly return to this one because of the service provided by Ms. Linda Olivieri. Her overall supervision insures that I get what iI need without asking. The onsite restaurant is a good, Italian restuarant and the equal of many of those in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

Linda of Group Sales helped with bookings for my son's wedding. She was incredibly helpful and accommodating of special requests and modifications of reservations, and the front desk staff was unfailingly welcoming and competent at keeping and handing out the many misc. things we needed to give to one another. She recommended All--Island Taxi for vans to venue, and they were prompt and clean--what more could we want? Rooms were just right, and the RR station across the street made coming and going into the city a breeze. By all means let this hotel make your stay in the RVC area hassle-free.

Enjoyed my stay at this Best Western. Staff was very friendly, housekeeping did a great job, and the room was nice and comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast, and the location was great for us. We plan to stay with them again when we visit that part of New York in the future.

We had great experience staying at this hotel, the staff are very friendly I met the manager Linda Olivieri and she is very accomodating she made sure that our stay will be as comfortable as could be, the place is very convenient to good restaurants, train station, shopping etc.

Clean rooms, great location.A bit pricy mid week considering no room service.There are resturants that will deliver to room.there is a restaurant in hotel itself quite reasonable and good.The matress in this room was in need of replacement although, I have stayed here quite a few times and never had this problem

The stay at this Best Western was quite comfortable and conveniently located to the train, good restaurants, & other shopping! It was easy to get to the City from the train each day. My family and I enjoyed the stay there overall.

It's a small motel. There is a Small swimming pool. Rooms are spacious and parking is free. Staff is very pleasant and breakfast is average (Muffins, toast, Milk, Coffee, Tea, Waffles, scrambled eggs).

this was a friends trip out to Jones Beach. Last year we just happened upon the Best Western Mill River Manor. We had such a great time there we booked again. I worked with Linda Olivieri as we were coming to stay 2 nights with a group of about 8-10 and needed multiple rooms. They were very accommodating and wonderful to work with, I had only spoken to Linda on the phone but she somehow knew it was me and introduced herself. Sree at the front desk was amazing and they both made us feel like old friends. Will definitely stay here again when we return to our concert in Jones Beach. Everyone was great...The breakfast is amazing..not just your standard continental breakfast. The pool, and pool area is clean and happened to be empty this stay.
