Best Western Plus Hotel Plaza

I have stayed at the Plaza many times over the past 16 years, short visits, one, two or three nights. I've just returned back to the Island we live on in Greece and I must write another review. This hotel is terrific, the staff are efficient, friendly, pleasant and will move a mountain to help you. Nice, quiet, good food and some really lovely staff. Highly recommended.

I just have to reccomend Best Westren Plaza hotel. Most of all very thankful to Aris Tsioukanis, manager at the hotel. This hotel and the stuff are the most warm, plesent and proffesional. We staied their at a very difficult time for us. Mr Tsioukanis Recognized our needs before we even approached, made us feel very wellcomed, took care of evrything we needed for the baby or didn't know how to find. Always very friendly and happy to help and to create the best customer experince. We will definitely be back

A very nice hotel with modern and clean rooms in a good location in Rhodos city. Staff and service is excellent and the hotel has a very good and price-worthy hotel restaurant, which is unusual in my opinion. We had a rental car to take us to beaches and points of interest on Rhodos during the day, and in the evening we visited the city (especially the old city) by foot.

Love staying at the Plaza. Spotlessly clean. Great staff who are attentive and welcoming. Bar and restaurant are great. Local Greeks use the bar so has a very local feel and very relaxed atmosphere. Can't wait to visit again.

Staying here for a few days to get away from the superb all-inclusive to wander about the shops see some local time and watch the yachts and do some poolside relaxation I was not disappointed. I stayed on a couple of days extra and did the world's fastest room change to facilitate a ferry visit to Kos. 100% like what is says on the tin

The food lets this hotel down. In particular the evening meal. Don't think the chief knows what an oven or hot plates are. I like food hot not tepid. Hotel in good location for seeing the sites of Rhodes. Staff are lovely. Hotel kept clean, safe and tidy. Housekeeping were so nice and polite nothing was too much trouble for them. If I visit again it'll be bed and breakfast for sure. Plenty of local restaurants deserve my money rather than this hotels chief.

Perfectly located hotel, with every comfort. Extremely pleasant public areasand very clean, comfortable bedrooms. The staff are all excellent and you are made to feel very welcome. Breakfast is absolutely superb. Well positioned in the new town for a 10-15 minute stroll into the charmimg old town.

Very comfortable modern hotel near the Colona Port in the new city with a friendly front desk, staff who were helpful and accommodating. We had a spacious room with a view to the sea . Excellent breakfast with many options . Hotel has a nice pool . Perfect choice for one night stay.

A perfect city Hotel, good position, absolutely brilliant food, very attentive staff, very good prices, and well kept. My wife and I stayed during August, and found the experience relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. The location gives easy access to either coast, and the old town is 5 minutes away. All amenities that you might need are within minutes.

Hotel is in the new town but only 10 mins walk to old town and 5 mins walk to beach. Rooms are a little dated but have everything you need including toiletries. Breakfast is lovely with hot and cold options to suit all tastes. Pool is great and never gets over crowded and you will generally get a sunbed. Pool bar is excellent and the staff that run it are super efficient.

Hotel pool looked nice though I didn't use it. Location is great as it's well within walking distance to the old town as well as lots of places to eat (both touristy and not). Pillows were fluffy and better than at the 5 star place I had previously stayed at. The decor is a bit dated and there were a few ants in the bathroom but considering the weather I wasn't concerned.

Stayed for 4 nights with my wife and another couple of friends. Location was excellent,breakfast was as good as any five star hotel I've been in and rooms very clean and beds we're comfortable. Air con worked very well as very hot outside for our stay and without it I may of just collapsed with heat exhaustion. Swimming pool ok especially just to jump in to cool off but pool area quite small. Staff all very nice. We could have done with water in fridge every day but small gripe on a good hotel to explode Rhodes city from.

I stayed here 1 night as a visit to Rhodes town from my main holiday in Lindos.. beautiful hotel, lovely rooms with complementary toiletries & water . We used the pool area & had a quick snack to share which was lovely . We stayed B&B & the breakfast was plentiful & lots of choice to suit everyone. The staff were all lovely & made sure our stay was enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel & if I ever want an overnight stay again in Rhodes Town this hotel will be my go to, good location & lovely & clean hotel ..

My wife and I and my two children (25 and 28) went on a family vacation and chose the hotel Best Western Plus Hotel Plaza and we found a clean and tidy hotel, in an excellent location and above all courteous and professional service.

As everyone has commented, this is in a good location for Rhodes town. Room size was sufficient but very plain in decor. Aircon was good. Had a wall mounted bathroom hair dryer which was ok but I'm sure women will prefer their own. Hot water was always available. Good mini fridge and the tea and coffee facility in the room was very welcome. The shower was poor. An iron and ironing board was speedily brought to the room upon request. What I thoroughly disliked but seems to be becoming more and more popular with hotels is a glass bathroom door. This was particularly unwelcome as the toilet was directly behind the door, so enjoy the view as your partner uses the toilet!!! The outdoor swimming pool size and surrounding lounge area was just about adequate for the size of the hotel in June. The pool staff were incredibly polite, helpful and hard working. Pool and lounge area opening time was from 10am to 7pm. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and had cooked options. A late checkout was possible if there was room availability on the day, at a cost of €40. We would be happy to return.

Very very nice hotel, had everything we needed, lovely pool, loads of options for breakfast and friendly staff - for the price we paid, we couldn't have been happier! To top it all off the location was brilliant. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Rhodes :)

We were checked super early by a very friendly and welcoming receptionist. Rooms were spacious , with a fridge, 3 free bottles of water a day, great air con, and a bath & shower, spotlessly clean and very comfortable.. Breakfast was fabulous. So much to choose from, with variety every day, from breads, cereals, meats , cheese's, pastries, cakes, biscuits, fruit, puddings as well as a hot plate with great selection of hot foods.. again very friendly waiting staff. Pool was very freshing after a day exploring, sometimes we had to wait for a sun lounger but again is all spotlessly clean, free towels are provided and there are hot and cold jacuzzi's. Location is perfect for exploring Rhodes town. Beach is approx 10 min walk away, old medieval town again about 10 minutes away, lots of shops, restaurants, bars etc all around the hotel.. we loved our stay here and definitely would come back again

Excellent location for Business travellers in particular. Good central meeting place with requisite amenities: Lounge, Bar& Restaurant. Responsive staff: Front Desk, Dining, Housekeeping etc. Certainly could do with a car park. ISM

The staff were amazing rooms nice. Food absolutely awful people who are putting food is good are saying that because it's from the alacarte menu which you have to pay extra for and even if you're half board and you've already paid for the buffet (inedible) you still have to pay the same as someone coming in from the street. Not fair. You don't get your points if you're on a package. There wasn't even ice cream or pitta bread just one of the worst hotels I've ever been to for food and I've been all over the world

This hotel is of a very good standard, clean and comfortable with friendly helpful staff and well located in Rhodes town. Rooms are spacious , clean and comfortable and food very good. It is an 3 minute walk ti the harbour and 5 minutes to the old town and there are plenty of small restaurants nearby. There is a swimming pool with sunbeds and comfortable lounge area and bar. I would not hestitate to stay here again or recommend it to friends.

Great location. Low price. Free buffet breakfast; quite good. Friendly staff. Room was small and furnished very simply, but functional. It is certainly not 4 or 5 star hotel, but if you want to stay in Rhodes New Town with 15 min walk to Old Town this hotel is a good choice.

We booked a Tui package with this choice of accommodation and it came with half board, so glad we did as the food was amazing, many interesting Greek dishes too, something to suit all tastes with so many choices different everyday. The location was absolutely ideal for walking to all the places, the harbour being a couple of minutes walk. The historic town only a short walk, we visited in the day and in the evening when the little streets were alive and buzzing. A fantastic bar just to the left when leaving hotel, highly recommended! The room and pool were just what we wanted and the staff were always keen to assist. We very much preferred this hotel to the others on offer and feel we made a great decision. Would happily return to same hotel.

We have enjoyed a holiday at the Plaza hotel previously so we were really pleased to return. We had a lovely warm welcome from Helena, who was friendly and helpful. We were allocated a room on the first floor but asked if it was possible to upgrade to a room on the top floor, preferably with a sea view. None were available that evening but were advised to ask the following morning. The room we had was spotlessly clean and comfortable and we enjoyed good nights rest. The following day we asked Harmony on reception about an upgrade. She was brilliant.........very helpful and professional and advised that a room on the top floor would be available but later that afternoon. We packed up our original room, left our cases in reception and enjoyed day in the amazing Rhodes old town. On our return our new room was ready and Harmony had taken our cases to our new room..........what excellent service. The room was again spotlessly clean, nicely furnished, had a balcony overlooking the sea and Mandraki Harbour...........perfect. It was serviced daily by Sonja, who always greeted us with a smile and kept the room beautifully. We were on half board. The restaurant was light and airy, tables well spaced and all the staff again friendly and helpful. Both breakfast and dinner was buffet style with a wonderful selection and variety of choice of dishes for all tastes. The hotel is in a great location some 100 metres from Mandraki Harbour and only 10 minutes stroll from the old town. Some excellent restaurants are only 5 minutes from the hotel. All in all we had wonderful holiday at this gem of a hotel, which had a lovely atmosphere thanks to all the wonderful friendly, helpful and professional staff.............outstanding.............grateful thanks to all and see you next year.

The staff are excellent, friendly and helpful, from both reception to cleaners and pool staff. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms clean and well stocked with fresh towels etc every day. Having tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge to use was very welcome. Ok the balconies are on the small side but the hotel describes them well, that a partial sea view does mean exactly that, but unless you are on the 5th floor sea view means overlooked and little sun. Although a good choice is offered for breakfast and pool snacks, the evening meals are uninspiring, with desserts varying little day to day. The hotel values and charges non guests €20 for the all you can eat buffet and to be honest, you get what you pay for. No outstanding dishes but also not terrible ones. We did ask if we could upgrade to a la carte and have a discount. This seemed to be a strange request but was eventually agreed to as long as it was only once or twice during the 10 day stay. It must be said that the possibility of having a bottle of wine kept for you so you could drink it over 2 days is a great service. Service in both the restaurant , pool bar and main bar cannot be faulted for attentiveness or friendliness. The hotel is well situated close to a busy shopping and restaurant street, with a local well stocked super market close by and car rental just 2 doors away. No need to hire and have parking problems. Should you wish to walk a little further, both the old and/or new town is less than a 10 minute walk away. One point of note, if ordering a shuttle service from the airport, due to the narrowness of the street, the set down point is on the main road, meaning be prepared for an up hill walk on uneven streets with your suitcase. No a fault of the hotel, but worth noting for those with even mild mobility issues. That is however no different to most of Rhodes town. Subject to the above comments, we can recommend the hotel, but it is a shame they do not charge more for the evening meal and improve the offering. However at €20 its no hardship to miss out a meal or two and use a local restaurant.

I stayed in the hotel for 5 nights with a friend. The location is extremely central to the best Rhodes town has to offer. A ten minute stroll to the medieval part of town. Restaurants and bars within a two minute walk, along with great shopping. Lovely pool gets sun all day and the pool staff were amazing. Great food also served at the pool bar. Breakfast choices were endless which is not always the case in Greece. Staff from household to front of staff to both pool and main bar are a credit to the hotel. Rooms are large with balconies on the slightly smaller side however, this had no impact to ourselves as there were always sun loungers available at the pool. I would recommend pool view as the balcony gets sun all day long. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

One night stop off en route for Kos. Good hotel, excellent breakfast. Rooms small but well equipped with kettle, fridge, effective air con etc. Very clean Lovely staff, pleasant, helpful and efficient. Small court yard pool with sun beds Decent central location

We very rarely return to the exact hotels that we have visited before but made an exception on a return to Rhodes one year after our last visit as we had such a great holiday last year. Would the Best Western Plaza in Rhodes town still be as enjoyable to stay there as last years ‘post pandemic' visit?…..yes it was! The hotel scores on 2 main features, the location & the staff, both can't be beaten. The pool bar staff and the lovely smiling singing Nefeli in the restaurant especially! The hotel is a mid range city centre hotel, convenient to walk around town and a 7min walk to the harbour where we had a very enjoyable boat/day trip to Symi which was a great way to see another lovely island. The hotel was fully booked during our 9 day stay but never really felt too crowded. As before everything is spotlessly clean, the complimentary buffet breakfast was of the same high standard as before and the room housekeeping was faultless. The hotel has a good size pool for a city hotel and is served by a pool bar where you can get drinks and pool side snacks at very reasonable prices. The staff here are super friendly and very efficient and really give a great service, we spent lots of days relaxing there. There was a slightly different procedure this year regarding the pool with access to the sun loungers/pool being restricted to a 10am opening time. This worked well in stoping guests who insist on reserving sun beds early in the morning and then disappearing back to bed or breakfast but was slightly frustrating for us personally who are early birds and enjoy an early breakfast and a sit by the pool by 9am in what is a lovely cool relaxing time of the day. I can see why 10am is the time here as this is when the pool bar opens but on many holidays the early birds at the pool who just enjoy to sit and read don't expect to be able to get food or drink that early, personally we think a 9am opening to be able to gain access would be better. All in all it was another lovely stay, busier than last year but thankfully the world is almost back to normal and more people are returning to the lovely island of Rhodes……will we be back?…..hopefully so!

Expectations fully met, the best location, near the hotel are the beach and the old town,food tasty and varied, rooms clean (special thanks to the maid who cleaned room 230 from 18.07. to 29.07.), staff friendly and smiling (with a few exceptions), nice pool, nice experience.

Good and friendly service, rooms ok, pool area a bit small but clean and nice. Breakfast as usual, very busy at 10am (hard to find a table). Location ok, good walking distance to Old Town and the beach. All in all a good, functioning city hotel.

We have been coming back here for over 14 years & it's because of the staff & location, special thanks to Anestis, at the main bar who always makes us feel welcome, along with little Kostas his new assistant & kostas & ironi who always look after us at the pool bar , special mention to George & the staff on reception & George who looks after maintenance, we come back year after year because we love the staff so much, it's like coming home, our big family will all be coming soon & our son Leon coming in August, look forward to seeing you all again very soon , much love to you all & a big thank you for making our holiday so very special

The Plaza Hotel is ideally located a few steps from Mandraki Harbour, and only a short walk from the old town. Clean and comfortable rooms, plus helpful and polite staff. The hotel also has a restaurant and a small pool, which is very popular with families.

What a difference coming back to this hotel after 2 years, post covid.... All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful.... Especially 2 of the day reception staff.. but more late on that.... Overall - very clean and bright.... Super pool with sufficient sunbeds . Reception, and bar areas very welcoming. Our room - 3rd floor - 308,,, spacious , always kept clean, and large balcony facing the street with views off to port and sea.... always a buzz from the street.... The breakfast room was lovely - again clean and bright..... with a very extensive menu, cooked brekfast staples, cereals, breads, rolls, lot of cakes, local yoghurts, fresh and tin fruits, and lots of cheeses, salady bits and cold meats.... brilliant... Again all the staff, friendly and welcoming..... This our 4th successive year in Rhodes... The only place in our 15 years of travel, and more than 100 countries, visited, that we have come back to the same place.... After many years of travelling around Greece and visiting more than 20 islands, it's taken us all this time to 'find our happy'.... personal taste , but for us it has the perfect package of hotel, culture, history , a number of good local beaches, easy access to the port, various boat trips, ferries to Marmaris and various islands, snorkelling trips etc... It's why we fully intend to come back next year , to this hotel... and ... maybe earlier... ?? One thing that stopped me giving this a 5* review..... and one that the hotel or the company needs to address.. When we first visited 2 years ago, my wife had several instances that caused her to miss the bottom step coming down the carpeted spiral staircase.... This time she actually missed a step and fell down, severely bruising her ankle and foot... The 2 reception staff - a young girl and young grey haired guy, were brilliant.... It was a spiral staircase, with a wide-narrow tread, but a very shallow step riser... I think the issue is the carpet is very dark and it was difficult seeing the edge of the step... Maybe it would help stop this type of accident by maybe making the carpet 2-tone , with a different colour strip on the edge..... Luckily it dint spoil the holiday, in fact somehow it was one of the best.... and this could and should have been a 5*+ review... Hotel/Company.. take note .!!

Nipped over to Rhodes from Turkey (Fethiye) with open ticket 55 euros pp. searched for this hotel on internet and took 10 minute walk from old town Roades to new town part. What can I say. Reception staff so helpful. We booked on line in the lobby and saved 93 euros (stayed for 4 nights bed and breakfast. Worked out £65 a night for 2 of us). Breakfast was great. Very similar to what you get in the uk when you stay at these types of hotel. Buffet and lots of choice including fresh french toast and pancakes, cheese straws doughnuts, too much to mention. Room - brilliant, clean and fresh towels daily and bedding. All toiletries provided, just ask reception for any you need. Pool towels provide. We had lunch at the pool a few times. Was cheaper than local restaurants. Although evening meal for 18 euros didn't entice us. Menu was always posted in the bar area. Pool Bar staff great, friendly and chat to you. Must mention sorry (If spelt incorrectly) Costa was a lovely man. Also not to mention Irene and sorry known affectionately as lover boy, oh and George in the lounge bar. They made our 5 days stay something to remember. Certainly recommend this hotel and the staff are a credit to them. Some have worked there years and it shows why.

We enjoyed our two night stay very much and any of the staff we dealt with were friendly and efficient. The meals were lovely and the beds were very comfortable. There was a swimming pool available but unfortunately I didn't manage to go for a swim.

My friend and I enjoyed a one week stay at the Plaza Hotel. We chose it because it's walking distance from the harbour, the old town and the beaches. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast & dinner and it was great to see a good variety of choices each night. The rooms were clean & beds comfortable and the staff were friendly. We also enjoyed relaxing in the pool area and ordering drinks from the pool bar. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who likes to wander and go on excursions. Top places we walked to from the hotel include the old town (10 min), Harbour (5 min), the Acropolis of Rhodes & Ancient Olympic stadium (30min), Elli beach (10 min), Zephryos strand (less rocky beach - 45 mins). Being so close to the harbour, it's also a great location to go for boat trips too.

Our group stayed there for 5 days. Very comfortable rooms and perfect staff who were always there to offer advice and help. The manager and the staff were always available to answer question. We were a group of seniors and they were happy to take our luggage to the waiting coach. Thank you, thank you.

Perfectly located between Old Town and new. Very comfortable and clean room. Bed comfortable and spotless bathroom. Very friendly staff. Pool was great, nice bar and good choice for breakfast. Close to harbour, bars, restaurants and tour offices. Great hotel

Thank you for a lovely holiday. The staff were all very helpful and friendly; everything was clean and comfy, and a great location. Covid measures were brilliant and we felt very safe staying here. Breakfast was a nice buffet and the room was clean and comfortable. Close to all the shops and in walking distance of the old town. My daughter swam every day and had a wonderful first holiday in Greece.

There's not much international chain hotels on the island of Rhodes and I came across this property as it was priced reasonably with breakfast included in my rate for the 1 night I needed. Location The property is located in the "new" part Rhodes/Rhodos - which is close to the main shopping area and restaurants/bar/cafe area. It is close to the harbour area and from there it is about a 15 mins walk to the old town of Rhodos. There are lots of parking options around the hotel - parking garage, street parking - both free or paid. The area around the hotel is not too busy (at least during the low season), so after around 10pm there's not too much disturbance from street traffic. Check In I arrived at the hotel around 1700hours and there was no other guests in the lobby/front desk area, so I was helped immediately. Check in was fast and efficient, and I was off to my room after approximately 10 mins. I was also provided a quick information about the breakfast facility and the bar/restaurant. As expected, without any status with the Best Western chain, I did not expect any upgrade. Room The room is located on the 3rd floor - accessed via the lift of the spiral stairs in the middle of the lobby. The elevator was on the smaller side - depending on the amount of bags and size, you might only be able to fit 2 persons with bags. There were 2 lifts available - which I think in the high season could be some wait. The room was located close to the end of one of the hallways - facing the main street. Size of the room was ok - for the price paid, I was fine with it (but I can imagine that in the summer season, with the high prices you might find it not so much value for your money). Room was basic and was showing a bit of it's age (strangely the exterior of the hotel seems to have been renovated). There was a balcony facing the main street with 2 chairs and table, which was well maintained. The main desk in the room acted as a TV stand, coffee/tea making area and working/vanity area. There was more than sufficient electrical outlets (all European plugs). The tea/coffee making items were in current times well packed inside a plastic bag (first time seeing this) and cups provided were paper instead of what I assume normally porcelain. There was a minibar, but it was kept empty. TV size was ok with the usual mix of international and local channels (although a number of the channels did not work - either not part of the subscription or no signal). Internet speed was good (login was via a code provided at check-in). Sleep quality was good - the bed was just right with sufficient pillows of different firmness. Interior noise was ok - although walls are on the thinner side (with the TV off) you can hear the room next door or along the hallway, but this was never an issue since the hotel's occupancy was low. Noise from the exterior (even with the balcony door closed) can be quite audible, but during my stay in this low season, it was not too bad between 2200-0700 during the weekends. [I can expect that it might get bothersome during the high season]. As for the climate control in the room, it seems to be on just heating mode - so I again had it off and had the balcony door open to cool the room (there's two doors, one the usual glass door and the other a sort of wooden door acting as a barrier but still letting outside air to flow into the room) The bathroom was on the smaller side - with a walk in shower. Water pressure and temperature control was good. The hotel did provide some toiletries - a generic brand. Besides that all the usual room facilities were available - including an iron and ironing board. Breakfast The breakfast was served in the hotel's main restaurant from 0700 to 1000. The spread was good - with both cold and hot options. In current times, both face mask and plastic gloves needs to be worn when getting food from the buffett. Service was friendly and used plates/cups were timely picked up. Overall All in all, for the price paid, I was happy with the property. They did also have an outdoor pool, which was not used (pool is not heated). I would certainly return to this property if I am in the area without any hesitation (of course with the right price). This was also my first stay at a Best Western Plus property - which I understand should be slightly better in terms of facilities to a usual Best Western, which in this case here was the case.

We've stayed here whenever we are in Rhodes for the last 25 years. Our teenage children, travelling alone, have stayed here, we have always had total confidence that they will be cared for like "family".

I love this Hotel, have stayed many times over the past 14 years. Quiet, Comfortable, Clean, Friendly, good food and a good variety of food in the breakfast and evening buffet. Pet friendly too as I had to take one of our cats to Rhodes for Scans and she was more than welcome to stay at the Plaza.

We have stayed here on several occasions on route to and from the island of Tilos. It has always been a good experience but our stay on Saturday was exceptional. The hotel has taken its care of guests in this Covid climate very seriously. The main hotel areas are spotlessly clean, our room and bedding was immaculate and the restaurant staff should be congratulated on the superb facilities on offer. Everything we needed to stay safe was provided. Bravo Plaza, see you again soon.

The Plaza Hotel was imaculatly clean with Covid taken very seriously. The location was ideal being close to the Old Town and shops and bars. The restraunt had a fairly good choice both at breakfast and the buffet dinner. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an excellennt 2 week holiday in September 2021 with temperatures in the low 30's throughouut. My wife and I would recomend this hotel to anyone and would certainly stay there again.

We could enjoy the views from 5th Floor. The personal was really really nice and helpful, from the Check-in in the reception, Housekeeping and of course the people from breakfast. They have a good control in relation to covid which most clients (that I saw) comply with. The breakfast buffet is very varied and everything is very tasty. And the staff is very friendly and attentive. Thank you for those smiles that were surely under the masks! They also have a doctor who does tests or PCRs at the hotel, which helps a lot because you don't have to look for places or move far away. It is true that I had to call from the airport because my results had not arrived, but they were very fast. The only "contra" I will add is about the towels in the room. It seems unnecessary to me to change the towels every day. I think it would save a lot of resources if the client is given the option to choose whether or not to change the towels. I tried to explain it to the cleaning lady but she didn't understand me... Again, thank you very much, and hopefully see you next time!

We have stayed here several times and recently during Covid and felt safe and secure. They specialise in friendly unobtrusive service where you can relax in clean, comfortable surroundings without a worry. Their Covid precautions are excellent but discrete; they have units cleaning the air in the lift, sensible precautions in the dining room and deep clean rooms (including fumigating rooms). The food is fresh and healthy although there is less choice in the evenings compared with our previous visit 2 years ago. This we put down to fewer guests than in previous years. Excellent professional staff. We can't fault it!

We are staying here at the Best Western Plaza in Rhodes between August 4th until August 12th and we are having a lovely time. For those people that have been unsure about travelling during the pandemic and more importantly coming to Rhodes and perhaps staying at the Plaza we can only say that we are very pleased that we came. The hotel runs its ‘We Care Clean' program and everything here is spotlessly clean with Covid procedures firmly in place which is very reassuring. Masks are worn in the inside public areas of the hotel and there is a specific procedure when entering the restaurant for the excellent breakfast buffet or for those that use the restaurant for lunch and dinner. Hands are sanitised, disposable gloves are worn while you select your food from the many choices available and once seated you are free to then carry on ‘as normal'…..it's very reassuring to see that the hotel is putting safety of its staff and guests as a priority during these times. As others have said, the Plaza is in a fantastic position, close to everything you may want to see in Rhodes Town and is a lovely ‘city centre' hotel with a good sized swimming pool for those lazy days during the heatwave that we are experiencing at the moment. The staff are fantastic, very hard working and cheerful and genuinely care about giving their guests a good experience during their stay. We have spent a lot of time relaxing by the pool during this hot weather and a special mention to the guys that work in the pool bar, ‘Costa' and his colleague (sorry didn't get his name!) are extremely hard working and are a credit to the hotel. Drinks, snacks, meals available at the hotel are very competitively priced and are similar to the many tavernas found just seconds from the Plaza. I do like a cocktail and the barmen here make one as good as anywhere at a price equal if not lower than anywhere we have been. Overall the Plaza has delivered all and more for a extremely competitive price for a hotel so well positioned and it's very hard to find genuine fault……of course some people will always moan about something, we read a review of another hotel where someone moaned that the fridge door was too loud when it closed!!!!! Come to Rhodes and enjoy yourselves, we are very pleased that we did.

As a family of 3 (myself, wife and a 4-year old) we've been hotel guests at the end of July. We've found the hotel to be perfectly located for a lot of Rhodos has to offer: very close to the beach (either in the Elli Beach area, either in Casino-Aquarium area), very close to Mandraki harbor and Old City and seconds away from the shopping and restaurants area. In terms of hotel's focus on its customers - perfect! We've arrived way before the official check-in time, but a room was found immediately for us so we've been able to "benefit" on Rhodos attractions right away. Same for our last day - a late check-out option was available, for a fair extra-cost. Considering the pandemic times we're living, all hotel employees were very focused to keep all safety precautions visible and active all the time. Which meant for us less stress around the COVID-19-related risks. Thank you Plaza Hotel for a wonderful stay! For sure, we will return!

Very welcoming hotel. You can walk to many interesting places in Rhodes town - the beach is only 4 minutes away and there are loads of nice restaurants nearby. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned every single day. The pool-bar became a favourite hangout for us during our stay.

I received a friendly welcome from the receptionist who checked me in in at 10:45 am, as the hotel was rather quiet in mid-June. I had an evening flight on my day of departure, and she informed me that I could also keep my room until 6:30 pm for the very nominal fee of €20. Much appreciated. I paid only €67 a night, which I consider a very good price for what I got. My room was of good size, and it came with a narrow balcony facing the swimming pool. I thought it might be noisy, but the pool area was very quiet, as were the guests, so no worries there. The balcony had two chairs. The room itself was equipped with two single beds, two chairs, a coffee table, a desk, a safe and a fridge as well as airconditioning that was efficient enough, but it turns off automatically when you remove the key card from the slot by the door. The room was clean and tidy and everything worked. There were sockets by the bed for charging your devices. My bed was very comfortable. Wifi was fast and reliable, no problem watching videos. The room filled all four-star criteria, and there was daily housekeeping, even on the day of my (late) departure. The bathroom was very small and the bathtub likewise, but water pressure was good and hot water ample. I very much liked the fact that the hotel provided a 35 ML hand sanitizer in the room, replenished on request. Toiletries were in generously-sized single-use bottles, which I appreciate as this is a lot more hygienic than the wall-mounted containers some hotels unfortunately use. The pool area was remarkably quiet – there were guests there, but they weren't noisy. No children during my stay. The pool was of good size for a city center hotel. The jacuzzi, however, didn't work too well. It turned on for some 30 seconds, after which it shut itself off again. The poolside bar served drinks, snacks and meals at very moderate prices. A pool towel could be picked up at reception (no charge). According to the sign, the pool area was open 9 am to 5 pm, but the receptionist said it was okay to use it until 7 pm. Breakfast (included in my room rate) was served from 7 to 10 am, and it was an ample self-serve buffet with both hot and cold items as well as some Greek specialities and delicious fresh fruit. The restaurant also had à la carte service for lunch and dinner (1 to 9 pm), as well as a dinner buffet for €12 (6 to 8:30 pm). The dinner buffet was very good value for money, including several salads, three hot main course options as well as fruit and cake for dessert. Drinks cost extra, but if a bottle of water is 50 cents, you can't really compain! The location is excellent, as it's a quick walk from the old town, beaches and shopping areas. There is a supermarket within a few steps and if you need a taxi, the hotel will call one for you or you can walk 6 minutes to the nearest taxi stand.

Nice hotel with clean and modern rooms and the pool was huge and even heated. Great way to stay with kids in a big city. The location was also great, walking distance to the old town and the shopping street. Took us a little while to find parking for our car but after a few laps we found one not too far from the hotel. Would definitely stay there again.

It's the first time the hotel didn't manage to catch up with the its own standards. It's really perfectly clean ,apart from the balconies ,and all the safety measures against COVID 19 are activated. Cosy and nice city hotel-in the centre of Rodos & the staff is really friendly and willing to help . But we weren't informed that due to COVID 19 regulations the rooms are not cleaned every day . I asked for new towels-that were immediately brought in my room -but I can't imagine how someone could stay in a room for 3days without any cleaning services. Dinner also was not what we were used to have every time we had booked before. No starter& extremely limited dishes .. We really hope to see The Plaza hotel we have known for some years now .

Overnight stay en-route to Symi. As usual everything was excellent. Looking forward to next stay and hope everything is soon back to normal after the Covid restrictions ( miss my drinks at the bar.) I have to congratulate the hotel and how they have worked through the Covid restrictions, they have had it organised perfectly.

Renovations were being made at the front of the hotel but we were given a pool view room so no problem. Staff are always friendly and helpful and this trip was no exception . Dinner was lovely and a take out breakfast was arranged for an early check out next morning

In the middle of the Covid disaster I found myself needing to spend two months in the Plaza recovering from an accident. These lovely people probably got me through the worst time of my life with their friendship and care. Everything was organised for maximum protection from the virus. They were unfailingly helpful and kind. Their amazing positivity in the midst of an economic catastrophe gave me inspiration. Go to the Plaza and experience the Plaza 'family' for yourself.

I have been using the Plaza for 20years and have never been disappointed with the services provided. Staff are pleasant and helpful, food is good and reasonably priced. Even in these times of vivid restrictions, they are still providing an excellent service and going above and beyond to ensure the hotel complies with all h&s advice.

Stayed here last minute after leaving a disastrous all inclusive resort. Staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Good breakfast and decent poolside food. Comfy beds & decent bathroom. Location couldn't be better as you can walk to new town & old time without any bother. Loads of bars & restaurants nearby.

Great location, within walkin distance to the old town, to mandraki port, to nice shops to all points of interest. We got a room and a half which was a real surprise, the room was clean and comportable. The staff was kind, the pool and the outdoor jacuzzi were cute. Overall- if you decide to stay in the new town, it's a recommended. Packed breakfast due to early checkout was very disappointing

Left here yesterday, didn't want to go home to be fair. Hotel did very well with covid under difficult times. Lots of hand sprays, masks reminders. Breakfast was handed to you by staff after you point out what you want. Ok under the circumstances. Bar and restaurant staff are very hard working, very very friendly. Reception staff were efficient and helpful. Nothing was an issue here and I'd like to go back, especially without social distancing. Pool is good, location to town centre and old town is great. Lots of places to eat nearby, easy walking to beach. Room had a massive tv with a few english news channels, Fridge, free room safe which utilises the room key card. Asked for and got a pool view, 5th floor(top). Drinks in the hotel bar were very reasonably priced which was good. Had a couple of gyros at pool and found it to be excellent and as good as wed had at local restaurants

Ask for a pool room, I had originally asked for a ‘city view' but there isn't much to see. Pool is lovely so recommend this! Staff were really helpful and accommodating too, and helped me to extend my stay.

Great location although don't be fooled by the free parking. It is free as it is on the Main Street and you have to find parking that doesn't require a card, which can be miles away. Room was incredibly basic. Staff at breakfast were plain rude, apart from one waitress. Customers were an inconvenience, where process was favoured. Breakfast finished at 10am, but everything gets judiciously packed away at 09:30. As tables are not laid, you have to sit down with your breakfast and wait till they decide to bring you cutlery and a table laying. You have to ask for everything separately of course. After a prolonged time of waiting, got up and helped myself to a cutlery pack, which resulted in a intense and very public telling off - once as I took the cutlery and another one at the table. Coffee and tea was also not offered, although offered to my partner, I suppose I needed to be punished for my actions. There was a lot of running around, to pack things away, but not a lot of running around to perhaps lay tables for customers to sit down? A shift in priority would help, although I would ordinarily blame the restaurant manager for this. Didn't go back for breakfast the next day. Went to Grigori's bakery, €7 buys you two coffees with pastries and a smile :-). I think the entire staff need a re-think about customers, as we are paying guests and not an inconvenience - come on guys it isn't that difficult. Great location though.

Whether you stay overnight or for a few days or weeks you can always be sure of a comfortable stay. The precautions they have put in place during these difficult times make you feel safe but still comfortable

Staying here on a last minute break. Some recent reviews were negative so my wife and I were wondering what to expect. Turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Hotel is in a great location for exploring the town. It is clean and the food is pretty good. We are staying on a half board basis. The staff are really friendly and helpful and there are lots a practical precautions in light of coronavirus. It is end of season so the hotel is fairly quiet but we have always found it easy to get sun beds and the pool is great. It's a short work to Elli Beach (which I would definitely recommend) and also a short walk to the harbour and the the old town. All in all a great stay.

I would not recommend. Very poor hotel. When they ran out of drinks at breakfast, the staff did not respond. They didn't even respond to requests for other additional things at breakfast. We also had trouble paying as we were overcharged. The room was dirty, smelly, also the bathroom.

very convenient location to the beach and old town, bus terminal where stops bus from airport and to other cities. very good triple room with 2 rooms. breakfast expected better, always same, coffee from machine extra charged. maybe due to covid-19

Obviously in these trying times we all have to make sacrifices and never expect that things will be the same. However, that being said you should maybe still make sure that if you are running a chain of hotels you still need to have clean bedsheets , speak basic English and inform Guests of latest Covid 19 developments. The hotel is chaotic and if it wasn't for the weather I would have stayed home.

We'll be looking forward to staying at your hotel in the near future. We did have a booking for May 2020, but due to travel restrictions we will have to visit later. The hotel has integrity & has refunded our non refundable booking due to the virus. We thank you very much & hope to see you later this year. This shows the hotel has good customer relations and high standards, so well done from us.

A really good hotel, clean and very comfortable, excellent staff, excellent food, excellent value for money - my favourite hotel. The staff turnover is low - always a good sign - and they are unfailingly warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them.

Another 5 day trip and stay at the hotel with no problems. Everything was excellent. I will come back next month. Next time I will ask for a junior suite and I will try room service breakfast and dinner.

Stayed here for 2 nights in my travels to explore Rhodes. 1. The room ----------------- The furnishing seemed a bit old but very clean. I had a partial seaview room which overlooked the Town hall and the beautiful blue sea beyond. Housekeeping is very efficient in cleaning up the room every day so I come back to a neatly prepared room at the end of both days that I stayed there. 2. Location ---------------- The hotel is walking distance to restaurants and mini markets. It is a mere 6 minutes walk to the Windmills Of Mandarki ( you should check out the view from there!) and also walking distance to the Old Town of Rhodes. There is a Hop On Hop Off Bus Stop supposedly infront of the Town Hall but it is unmarked and I've seen only the Red Bus stop there. If you get tickets for the Yellow Bus, it does not stop here at all - best to wait at the next stop which is about 10 minutes walk away; infront of Aktaiou cafe. 3. Breakfast ----------------- I enjoyed breakfast very much here! They had a good selection of cold meats, pastries, juice, coffee, tea etc. They've even got this Greek Coffee Making thing at the buffet counter if you're up to trying Greek coffee, with clear instructions how to make it. All in all, if you're just here for a short stay, it is a pleasant functional hotel.

Great rooms, great breakfast and even greater customer service. I was confused when booking my room because the descriptions are different from the States. So I ended up with a room that could fit a family. I didn't need all that space, so they changed my room for me easily. I actually stayed there several time during Nov-Dec and they remembered me each time. Which I could appreciate.

Best Western Plus Hotel Plaza is a modern hotel in the New City of Rhodes. I was here for three nights, and my room was very good, with a comfortable bed, good working desk, and also a small balcony. Insulation from outside noise was not perfect, but also there was not much traffic overnight. The bathroom was also good, and so was the complimentary wi-fi. Breakfast was truly outstanding, with so many choices available, all very good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Very happy , staff are polite and friendly , A/C works well . TV very good . Beds comfortable . Bath room well stocked and clean . Balcony very small (no space for table) and view not that great . Will choose front room next time . Pool is big and deep enough . Bar prices are good . Breakfast is very good . Top location . Hotel laundry prices are Ridiculously expensive . Go instead to Laundry not even 5 minutes away(Tornado). Would stay again . I would go again .

Friendly reception on arrival. The room was nice, bed comfy and toiletries provided. The cleaners were marvellous after my husband was ill during our stay. Breakfast was decent so no complaints. It was too cold to use the pool and although not huge I bet it is nice in the summer months. 10 minutes walk to the old town and 5 minutes to shops and restaurants. Ideal location really.

I have been staying 2 night great location Open buffet breakfast dinner it was many different food .the stuff where very helpful.they have spa advertising in the room But it was end of season closed. I ask for massage. Some one came l take deep tissue. Massage.. but it wasn't my best massage.not recommended . Walking distance popular places l enjoyed my stay l recommend

Stayed at this hotel as part of a week's package deal and we were pleasantly surprised. Although mainly used by holiday makers there were a few businesspeople too and this probably reflects its position. Although not on the sea front it lies only 5-10 minutes walk to the east and west coast fronts and beaches, the nearest eastern side being the top of the harbours, and 10 minutes to the old town and bus station from where much of the island can be readily reached. It is in a largely residential/small business area and thus away from the concentration of hotels and restaurants, although very close to many eateries. The standard rooms are perfectly adequate. Ours had a balcony overlooking the pool which we used twice. Its a reasonable size given the location and wasn't at all noisy. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of hot and cold foods although the omelette chef seemed to disappear towards the end of the week as the occupancy reduced as the end of season approached for package deals. The staff were all attentive and helpful, particularly the reception staff who retrieved and forwarded without charge some spectacles we had left behind. Thoroughly recommended. They were promoting some big reductions on half board packages going into the winter season which would be a bargain if cheap flights could be obtained.

The service is first class. The beds are really comfortable. The shower pressure is great. Just one gripe, the buffet food was too greasy for me. Great situation; most things are within a 5 minute walk. The walled old town is only 10 minutes walk. I recommend the 1 Euro shop for last minute little mementos (turn right exiting the hotel, then right again and then straight up the hill. The shop is on the left at the top.) There is a great salad bar down by the casino. Turn left exiting the hotel, then turn right and go down the hill to the bottom and turn right. The eatery is on your right. The owner makes the most delicious homemade soups. Just one more recommend, Giallo ice cream parlour. It is in Socratous street in the old town, less than half way up from the bottom on the right hand side.

Warm welcome. Staff charming and remember us year on year. Clean. Bedding changed with towels every day. Spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast and very nice evening menu. Pool was open. Local with bars and restaurants within easy reach though by now many are closed for the winter. Excellent hairdressers opposite.

We spent four nights at this hotel. The staff were efficient, and the rooms comfortable. The breakfast was good, as was the bar. There was a mix up with our rooms when we arrived, but the issue was resolved quickly.

My second stay in five months. Why, because of location. The hotel is just very handy for everything. Only ten minutes walk to all needs. I guess the real main reason for returning to this hotel for a second time is because its friendly orientation. The staff are always very efficient and helpful. Excellent quality food with plenty of variety in a spacious airy restaurant. Yes there are parts of the hotel that could do with a makeover, carpets and some of the rooms but bear in mind that this hotel is one of the few in Rhodes that stays open all year around. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We even got the same room we had last year, when asked for it. Excellent location, short distance everywhere. Delicious breakfast with lots of variety. See you again next October!

I love this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very nice, with comfortable beds. You can beat the location, close to everything and walking distance to all of the major sites, the Medieval city, the Mandraki harbor, the beach.

Excellent hotel,held a business meeting here,great room, very helpful staff,had a great massage very impressed ate in the hotel in the evening from the buffet a good selection of main meals salads etc,will definitely use this hotel again

Our travel agency (Agean Thesaurus) did a great job picking this one. Walkable both to Elle Beach and Old Town. And two excellent mini-marts at the corner, followed by a street of tavernas and shops. Not a Greek breakfast, but good for Brits, Americans, anyone looking for something hearty. If you are not in a rush, they will make you an omlette! Delicious, but too big for me, so I went back to scrambled eggs the next few days. many choices! pool looked great, but did not take time to use it.

Everything about this hotel was awesome. Very clean and modern, great location for shopping, restaurants and connecting with tours. The breakfast that was included offered the same variety you would encounter on a cruise ship. It was delicious with so many choices. Very comfortable setting too. Excellent pool area. We would return to the same hotel and recommend it to friends and family.

The main reason I stayed here is the location, as it is convenient for the new town and the old town, and the hotel delivers on that front. The breakfast is excellent, with a spacious restaurant and lots of choice. However the room itself was very dated and given the price point of the hotel, in my opinion is in need of a refurb to meet modern expectations. Soundproofing was not good, I could hear the neighboring rooms, people in the corridors and sound outside the hotel. The bed was not very comfortable, very hard mattress and thin sheets rather then a duvet, for me it was very hard to sleep.

This was a return visit for us to this Hotel,( same time last year). Its in a perfect location for Elle Beach and the Old town, with plenty of bars and restaurants. Its quiet ,the staff are lovely and really helpful with any queries. Bus station is 10 minute walk away Rooms are very clean and comfy. The pool is very clean and no fighting for sunbeds. Breakfast is a buffet with every choice possible. definitely recommend.

We are just back from a week at this hotel. The hotel is very good and in an excellent location close to the harbour, the old town and numerous bars and restaurants. We flew with TUI from the UK, the journey time from the airport was 1 hour and we were last off the bus. This is due to all of the drop offs. The bus actually drops you off about 200mtrs from the hotel and you have to walk up a side road to get to the hotel. I think the reason for this is that the streets are so narrow and congested a bus would not get there. Taxis do get to the hotel and cost 25 euros to get to the airport should you go for that option. Anyone staying at this hotel with TUI from the UK are classed as being in what TUI called a digital hotel. This means there will be no TUI rep at the hotel for UK travellers. If you need help or advice you have to either call, text or email back to the TUI people and they deal with any issues you have. The details are on your welcome sheet of paper given to you at the airport by the TUI people. We called them as we found out that you get charged for the texts but calling them is free of charge depending on your mobile contract. Emailing well, that could possibly take forever to be replied too. We called as we wanted to know about pick up times etc. Speaking of pick up, you get picked up at the same spot as you are dropped off at. Check in at the hotel was simple very quick. There is a 3 euros hotel tax per night per room. The room is nicely decorated but is a bit small, especially the bathroom, no full sized bath and very tight inside the bathroom. It does the job that is needed though. The room has a safe that you use your room key card to gain access to it. The safe is free of charge. The beds are typical Greek beds, hard, the beds are ¾ sized beds and are pushed together so plenty of space to stretch out on. Our balcony faced onto the street, not much to see there, the other side of the hotel looks out onto the pool. The room is cleaned every day by maids. There is a fridge in the room, it works but is not very cold, It has some soft drinks and water in it that are charged accordingly to your room bill should you use any of them. Air condition in the room is excellent and is free of charge. We have read people are putting out towels to take up the sunbeds at the poolside, that is slightly true, there are a few beds but on our visit there was never really a problem getting one at 1030 am. People came and went so you never really had to wait long to get one. The hotel does supply pool towels if you need them, unsure if there is a cost as we used our own. Poolside bar serves snacks and sandwiches, chips etc. Drink prices in the hotel were surprisingly cheaper that out and about, 4 euros for a large beer and 4.5 for a Strongbow. Plenty options available also. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast, varied options for this and in the evenings we only ate there once due to our own personal eating habits. Out away from the hotel the harbour is to the right of the hotel as is the way to the old town and to the left you head off towards the bars and restaurant area which was always busy. We did find Rhodes to be expensive to drink out and about, most sensible bars charge about the same but others are very expensive Overall the hotel was very good, great location in the middle of everything would give it a thumbs up.

We had a great stay in Rhodes at the Best Western Plaza. It is a very modern hotel, perfectly located in town. The room was great & the breakfast outstanding! The staff was helpful & they have a very nice pool. I highly recommend this Hotel for a stay in Rhodes Town!

We stopped for 3 nights at this hotel. Have stopped here before. Our interconnecting rooms weren't available on the first night so we had to have a quad room which was okay. To compensate us they let us have a free late check out when we were leaving and transferred all our luggage into the new rooms once they were available which was great. Always use this hotel when stopping in Rhodes Town.

Very good option near the center of the town. 10 min walking from the castle. It is also near from the port. It has a big clean pool with jacuzzi. Decent spacious rooms. Many options for the breakfast.

We only stayed one night as we were en route to Symi island. The hotel was chosen for its proximity to the ferry terminal. It was very comfortable and the breakfast delicious. We would definitely consider staying again if we repeated the trip.

Please help? I booked to stay in one of the Best Western hotels 8th June to the 19th June 2019, the Best Western Plaza Rhodes Town. I booked through Best Western Plazas website myself and not through TUI as I'm keep being told. Basically, I was forced to find alternative accommodation at an increased cost as all i was offered by Best Westerns staff was a hotel located in Faliraki. Being disabled, I can't do beaches which Faliraki offers and my OAP mother was not keen on the Faliraki party scene, apart from the fact we booked to go to Rhodes Town not Faliraki! The manager at the Plaza seems to miss these points. The only accessible hotel available in Rhodes Town was the Bellevue Suites. I was assured in several emails that the Plaza hotel was accessible, I even sent my mobility scooters information and pictures (its a boot scooter, a Tiempo Rapide). However, upon arrival. I find the Plaza is not accessible, my small mobility scooter would not fit in the lift/elevator! I was not told my mobility scooter wouldn't fit, or told any dimensions! Due to my scooter not fitting in the Plazas lifts, to try to make the best of a bad situation, i reluctantly used a borrowed large heavy and cumbersome hotel wheelchair. This fit in the lift, just. It skinned my arms as i tried to mobilise as it was so big and heavy. In the room this borrowed wheelchair had a right time manovuring to get in the bathroom, due to the angles. Eventually my OAP mother with the help of 6 American guests dismantled my scooter to bring it upstairs! Plazas receptionist would not help and Plazas other staff had gone home. This holiday was saved up for well in advance as it was primarily booked for my mothers birthday but it was spoiled as I was lied too and then cheated. Is this the way OAPs and disabled people are treat? Hurt physically, emotionally, financially and stressed to the max! I feel disabled people get the dirty end all of the time, as I hear alot of horror stories. It needs to stop! I have acknowledged that the Plazas manager refunded his hotels costs and thanked him. I feel Best Western Plaza should do more as it was their fault. So I have requested help with paying for the Bellevue Suites, they were at an increased cost and the only accomodation available in Rhodes Town? I have also requested that disabled people are treat with more dignaty, not lied to and provided for as anyother paying guest!

We had the most wonderful visit to Rhodes & this was in big part due to the wonderful stay @ the Plaza. The rooms were clean & comfortable, the pool was just right, breakfast provided great options from custom omelets to fresh fruit & everything in-between and most importantly, the staff were just fabulous & they helped make our stay a 10!

Excellent location, less than 10 minutes to the beach, and ten to Old town, very clean and nice rooms, food delicious more than in some other 4star hotels, Vey good value for the money... Definitely I will back again

Location fantastic and rooms/ hotel fine. Poolside bar staff cheery and helpful. Family room a bit cramped for a family of four with teenage children. The reception staff are incredibly rude and disinterested in guests. They don't look up when people enter the hotel and simply don't acknowledge your existence. Unhelpful. I paid my bill at the end and the male staff member behind the reception didn't say a word to me or smile throughout the encounter. Front of house staff are crucial to how you feel in a hotel and the front of house staff at this hotel (especially the male member of staff early morning and late evening shift) need serious training. Smiling and offering to help are not difficult skills to learn.

Stayed at this hotel for a week at the beginning of July this year. Food is amazing, great choices,to suit all tastes and nationalities. The desserts are amazing.The staff are very helpful and friendly, upgraded our room as I was unhappy with the size and storage for our clothes. The hotel was full so we had to wait until the next morning, staff moved our belongings and prepared our new room for us. Rooms kept very clean bedding and towels changed everyday. This hotel is very central and ideal to reach both new town and the old town. Would definitely come back here again.

Great holiday was made even better by the service and staff at this hotel. We were a family group and the hotel catered for all our needs. Friendly and relaxed . Rooms were clean and beds very comfortable.

We stayed as part of a TUI package, not that we saw anything of the TUI reps although for us that wasn't an issue. The hotel was centally located in Rhodes town, only a few minutes walk from the Old Town, the main bus stops and the tourist boats to other islands. It is ideal for those wanting to do day trips on Rhodes itself or to do boat trips. The main ferry port is slightly further away but still within walking distance although some companies will provide transport if needed. Be aware that package deal coaches to and from the airport drop off about 200m away so this may not be a good choice for elderly or infirm travellers. The room was adequate and was clean and quiet. There was a rather old fashioned bath and shower but plenty of clean towels were provided on a daily basis if needed. There was also a small fridge and a safe though security was never an issue for us, we felt perfectly safe on the streets and buses. The food here was excellent from the substantial buffet breakfast to the equally substantial buffet dinner. There was a large choice at both meals and the attentive and friendly staff were constantly topping up with fresh stuff. We really enjoyed it and the drinks were not too expensive either. There are several small supermarkets and bakeries nearby should you need supplies for days out and six large bottles of water (essential in the summer) can be had for less than €2. There is a small swimming pool but those looking for a beach holiday should try elsewhere. All in all we had a great time and can recommend this hotel for people wanting to do their own thing with a lot of historical sites close by.

Great location, it's time some of the rooms had a makeover ( tiny baths!) but in the centre & close to everything x the staff are great too x Shame people keep reserving sun beds & then do t come down to use them for hours! The pool staff really helpful when this happens Not far from the beach, Mandraki harbour, Old Town, shops & restaurants x

We love this city hotel. The room is ideal for a couple and a child. Breakfast offers a great selection of food combining continental breakfast and traditional choices. The staff is very good but insufficient in quantity for so many guests. The elevators are rather slow as they are small. The housekeeping is great. The receptionists are very accommodating. The bathroom provably needs some refurbishment. I recommend it.

We always stay at The Plaza as our flight from UK lands to late to catch ferry to the Islands. Rooms have recently been refurbished so appear bright. Air con makes this first night in high temperature tolerable but even the noise didn't cover the door slamming and raised voices as visitors arrived or returned through the night. Breakfast had something for everyone from traditional bacon and eggs to fruits, pastries with unlimited tea and coffee. Reception ordered out taxi for us which was quick to arrive. Book as early as you can to secure the lowest price possible.

We had a little trouble finding The Best Western Plus Hotel Plaza even with our GPS. When we located it we had to park 2 blocks away. The hotel has some free spaces just across the street but they were all taken so I parked on the street next to a meter that was out of order. The car was still there the next morning and I moved it to one of the free spaces. The hotel was very nice with free WiFi and an included nice breakfast buffet. Also it was within walking distance to the old town.

Good location in Rhodes town. Apart from that it is a fairly ordinary average hotel. Service was adequate, dinner and breakfast left a bit to be desired. Ok for a one night transitonal stay but not for a holiday for me anyway.

First time in Rhodes for myself and husband. The hotel is ideally located and in walking distance to Old Town, Mandraki harbour. Stayed for a week half board and found the food good especially the cakes. If you like a resort hotel this is not for you but if you like to explore great base

Unfortunately the reason my son and I had been booked in was due to my husband being admitted to the hospital in Rhodes.The staff were most caring to us in what was a distressing time for us. We had a basic room,fine as we spent most of the time at the Hospital,it was clean and fresh towels each day. We only ate breakfast but the choice was varied and the best we had in the four hotels we stayed in while we were in Greece.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for four nights. The location of the hotel is great it is only 5 min walking to the harbour and 15 min walking to the old town. Plenty of bars, shops, restaurants nearby. The beach is about 15 min walk. However, it isn't a Sandy beach. To go to the nicest beaches you will take to the bus or car or boat trip. The breakfast is ok with good variety. The room was always very clean and good size. The staff is ok...but not brilliant. We have been a couple of times in Greece and in this occasion we didn't find the staff very friendly (mainly in the reception)

The Best Western Plaza in Rhodes can be relied upon to provide consistent quality and good service all year round. I have been using this hotel several times a year for at least 20 years. The staff have a wealth of information to share with guests and are very helpful.

Don't book if you're needing accessibility. They say it's accessible but it's not! My small mobility scooter couldn't even fit in the lift! They lent me a large cumbersome heavy standard hotel wheelchair which skinned my arms and left me in pain, when I tried to move it. Then there's the rooms, awful disabled facilities. Toilet too low, shower unreachable, towels unreachable, sink to high, not enough grabrails, sharp angles, ramps to steep, bed difficult to transfer, rooms just too small.

Hotel was great...5 mins to tourist port for all the island boat trips, 5 mins other way to beach and 10 mins from old town. Couldn't be better. Food street 2 mins away. Plenty of eateries in the area. Room was big and decent bathroom. Breakfast was good. Hot and cold selection. Staff were lovely . Very helpful and friendly.

Decent hotel with good location near the beach, restaurants, shops and old town. Definitely worth of money. Staff are mostly a bit stiff, but just ask and they will help you. Room was clean and the bed was good, there's also small fridge for snacks in the room. I'd stay here again when visiting Rodos town.

We stayed 4 nights end of May. The hotel is centrally located & max 10 min walk to everywhere, the old town, the coastal promenade as well as good restaurants. Well appointed generous sized rooms ( ours was 507, top floor overlooking the pool, with just a narrow balcony room for 1 chair). Very good air con, & great bed. Breakfast buffet was standard chain hotel fair in a bright & airy dining room with outdoor seating. Seating around the pool was tight but the pool wasn't our hangout. Overall perfect for our needs & great value.

One of the first things that fascinated me after we had checked into this hotel by the efficient and friendly reception team, was to look down on the hotel pool from our balcony on the fifth floor, to see swifts skimming the hotel pool. From that moment I knew we were going to enjoy our week in Rhodes and the Best Western Plaza. This is a well kept and well run hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, our room, on the top floor, was not the largest we have stayed in but a reasonable size, nicely laid out and kept clean. The balcony was narrow with two chairs, but when in such a fascinating place as Rhodes who wants to hang around on a balcony when the historic Rhodes old town is waiting to be explored. Finding your way into the old town at first is a bit of a puzzle, but we soon worked it out and spent a lot of time there exploring the historic buildings, medieval walls, castle and back alleys, not to forget the numerous bars and shops. With the Plaza being in the heart of Rhodes and close proximity to the old town wherever we wanted to go was little more than a short walk, this hotel really is ideally situated. When adventuring around Rhodes became hot and tiring work, it was good to return to the Plaza to laze on one of the sun beds provided and cool off in the nice sized pool. Although busy around the pool we could always find a couple of sun beds, and when we were ready for refreshment the hotel pool bar would provide us with a cold beer or other drinks as well as snacks, ice creams and cooked food by the welcoming pool bar staff. We had booked half board for our stay, so ate breakfast and our evening meals in the hotel restaurant, which had seating both inside and outside. For both breakfast and our evening meals there was a good choice of hot and cold foods from the buffet. Again, like everyone else in the hotel, the restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. Before our evening meal and then later, after we had returned from visiting the old town, we would sit in the hotel bar and enjoy a drink served by the smiling barman who soon got to know our order. There were always a number of locals who used the bar, which was obviously a popular place for them and a good sign it was the right place to enjoy a late night ouzo. One of the highlights for us at this hotel were the near tame sparrows who would hop around close to our feet when having a drink at the pool bar, they would perch on the back of the chairs just a couple of feet away looking to see if there were any treats for them. Like the swifts who no doubt return each years, so we will too when the chance arrives. You do not have to be a bird brain to want to enjoy a stay at this really nice welcoming hotel.

The location of this hotel is excellent. 25 minutes or less in a taxi from the Airport. 10 minutes walk south brings you to the Medieval City. Less than 10 minutes north brings you to Elli beach. Nearby numerous bars, cafe's and restaurants. I found the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff of this hotel a cut above the norm. Impressed with the nice spacious and airy restaurant and the size of the bedroom. The food was excellent with a good variety of choice for breakfast and dinner. There is a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and a bar.Space for sun beds is limited so you must like your neighbour. On the negative side, there can be noise at night as the hotel sits on two roads. The bathroom could do with a make over as it was a bit tatty. Would I return? yes most definitely.

Visited this hotel late in May. We has two rooms, one for my wife and I and one for my adult son. The rooms were of a reasonable size, though the bathroom was a bit small. We had rooms on the street side and found them quiet. The beds were comfortable and the fridge and tea making facilities were appreciated. The flat screen tv had two English speaking channels. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was relaxing and we found no problem in finding sun beds. Some were too close to each other, but this was expected as the pool, though of a good size, was not of the magnitude one finds in resorts. The poll bar was efficient and provided an excellent lunch menu. Breakfast was excellent , providing for all tastes (their were quite a few different nationalities as guests - French , German, Scandinavian and, of course, British). We ate one evening meal in the hotel. This was not of the standard we had expected. To be honest we did not try again, though it appeared some of the older guests ate there every night. Not to fear though, the hotel is very near a variety of bars and restaurants. The location of the hotel is supreme. Leave the hotel and turn right you are very near bars and restaurants. Turn left, go to the end of the road, near the harbour, turn left for the beach, turn right for the old town. Leave the hotel go left and the immediately right, ie round the corner, follow that road to more shops and restaurants and another approach to the old town. Rhodes town is lively and interesting. The hotel is comfortable, especially after a day on the beach, a day exploring or a day on a sea trip. Enjoy

This hotel was recommended by the people we stayed with on Symi. The hotel is very near the port to catch the ferry to Symi. We are returning to the hotel at the end of our stay for the same reason. You need an overnight stay at the beginning and end of the trip if you are staying on Symi to be able to Co ordinate the flights and ferry crossing.

Very helpful stuff, very good location of the hotel (near the center of the city and the Old Town Castle), excellent facilities (lobby, pool, front desk, restaurant with very good food), very clean rooms.

A very good location in town,close to old rhodes and elli beach. We had half board,breakfast very good ,evening meal ok. Room is clean, bath VERY SMALL! .although in town very quiet at night so slept well.Staff attend promptly to any needs you may have and very polite.Only thing annoying was from a large hotel you would expect english channels which they dont have,strange as we had come from much smaller hotel that could.Pool very clean with jacuzzi ,which was lovely. Bar prices very reasonable. All in all an ideal hotel from which to explore the city.

This is well located in the heart of Rhodes town and very close to the historic old town. Can walk to the hotel from the ferryport as well. Value for money so don't expect too many luxuries but comfortable, quiet and good breakfast included in price.

a city hotel with helpful staff, comfort room, good internet speed, big TV screen in the room, very satisfying breakfast. perhaps is needed an improvement and a more ergonomic configuration of the pool area in order to serve more people better.

…....from a city type hotel as a base for exploring Rhodes World Heritage city or touring this historic and beautiful island. Room 501 was smart, comfortable and well equipped. The buffet food was good and varied and the bar was excellent. Not a hotel for lounging around although there is a small pool with sunbeds. A room on a high floor may even get you a sea view and the lift works well.

Ideal situation for walking to the sea front, old town and commercial area. Our room was well equipped, including kettle & tea making facilities which is always a pleasant surprise in Europe. The bathrooms are quite dated but everywhere was beautifully kept & clean. Rooms at the back are quiet but have very small balconies. Rooms at the front have room to sit out on the balcony but are too noisy with traffic below to enjoy! There's no sea view, only on the top floor which is 30 euros a night extra. The street is quite noisy most of the time. Beautiful pool and pool area and a nice relaxing place to be. Plenty of choice for breakfast but absolutely dreadful coffee - surely this should be a priority for a 4 star hotel. We also had problems with smokers. The bar & front terrace always had smokers, even at breakfast which spoilt it for a lot of people. The evening meal was self service and rather too much like a canteen for our liking so we preferred to mostly eat out at nearby tavernas. Staff are very helpful, especially in the restaurant and bar area - the reception staff could certainly do with smiling a bit more!!!

Very friendly and professional staff. Clean, decent-sized rooms. Quiet at night. Very good breakfast and friendly breakfast staff. Short walk to the walled city and port area. Lots of cafes and restaurants and mini-grocery stores in the neighborhood. Parking is free on the streets around the hotel, but sometimes difficult to find (in April). Dinner buffet in the evening is a good value with a good variety of food choices.

We returned home after a 5 day break in this hotel on Thursday. Spotlessly clean and lovely staff. Breakfasts were excellent but we ate out in the evenings so can't comment on evening meals. Had a nice pizza in the bar one lunch time. Rooms were huge. We had a suite as we had our 8 year old grandson with us and there were 2 bedrooms with huge beds and a flat screen TV in both rooms. Bathroom great, with a bath and separate rainfall shower Ideal location for the beach and the Old Town, only 5 minutes walk to each. We had a hire car and drove round the perimeter of the whole island one day, stopping for lunch and say hi to the goats on the beach. Will definitely return to this hotel one day, we were sorry to leave.

Our two night stay was most enjoyable. Clean, comfortable room, good breakfast and very reasonsbly priced at this time of year. Located close to both the old and new town. Breakfast was excellent but buffet dinner, although reasonably price lacked imagination.

We've stayed at the Plaza at least 10 times in the previous 15 years. In all that time, if we ever had a complaint (including tobacco smoke in the breakfast room) the staff and or management took care of it immediately. In that case, they just closed the doors! If they weren't there to close the doors, I can and have closed the doors myself. Problem solved, no need to let it ruin your breakfast. Or ruin anyone else's time by complaining about someone on holiday having a smoke in my vicinity. They really are very nice and responsive to guests needs. Non Smoker

Great hotel if you smoke, awful if you don't. Smoking aside (for now), the hotel is very basic. Nothing to complain about if it were a 2 star hotel, but dont expect better than 3 star at a push.The air con only works in the hottest months,so never worked in April. Also, I have a breathing problem so the fact that guests are permitted to smoke at the bar which is right next to the restaurant, and they obviously smoke in their rooms, causing the whole hotel to constantly wreak of stale cigarette smoke, was a huge annoyance and cause of unhappiness for me.. The location of the hotel on the island is great, but I cannot recommend this hotel.

Nice, large clean rooms. The breakfast is decent. Right in the center of the city and only a few steps from the sea. I would go again if I had to visit rodos. Good for families too. They should have the outside doors closed so smoke from smokers does not enter the inside area at breakfast or when visiting the cafe.

Love this hotel. It is centrally located near the harbor, Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, restaurants, shops and Travel Agents. Breakfast is served from 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM. Breakfast is excellent with a good assortment of coffee, tea, milk and juices.

I had a two night stay early December. The hotel was warm and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and professional. I ate the menu of the day both nights it was exceptional value and extremely tasty.

This is my second stay in this hotel. Excellent value, great breakfast, fantastic location. Things to improve are: Management needs to seriously place signs around pool area which tells guests that they should not hog the lounges by the pool. Some people need to have to be reminded of basic manners, but they would leave their towels etc and be gone for a couple of hours, whilst other guests had no place to lie by the pool. I reported this but nothing was done. Secondly, the supervisor came up to my room because something ( clothes line over bathtub) was broken. They said they would have it fixed.... we were here for 8 days, nothing got fixed. Overall I love this place but some of the above issues need to be managed better so that the quality of guests stay improved.

Beds are extremely comfortable. The bathrooms could do with getting rid of old baths and replace with modern showers but ok and loads of hot water. Air con good. Breakfast very good value. Dinner variable but can recommend the fish, the soups and the veggie pizzas. WiFi good, pool lovely, the bar is just right. My only complaint is letting people smoke in the officially designated smoking area but leaving doors/windows open so it pollutes the air for the rest of us. Particularly disgusting at breakfast time. I wrote to Best Western about it but they just shrugged my complaint off...grrrrrr!

Warm welcome and staff charming. Rooms comfortable and clean. Had a pool view this year. Sunny balcony. Breakfast excellent. Very nice evening menu and beautifully presented. Maestro red wine very nice. Cafe bar does excellent greek coffee and campari soda. Very good value. Looking forward to next year as like to end our holiday here.

The hotel is in a great location for exploring the old town and harbour area. The staff were friendly welcoming and helpful. Food was ok, limited selection of hot food for vegetarians but plentiful salads. Be prompt for breakfast because they are quick to clear away most things before 10.....you snooze you loose!

First we had a forced stay at Plaza as the hospital advised us to stay on Rhodes a least 3 days - we stayed for 5 days and had a good stay with food served on the room at same price as in the restaurant.Next stay was 3 days planned on our way home and due to weather conditions you stay and enjoy Rhodes for some days.

We stayed at the Plaza on recommendation from friends and were part of an extended party of 9 for 10 days. The location was excellent - close to the beach, harbour and restaurant and shopping precincts. The "partial sea view" from the fourth floor is barely that (if you want to see the water request 5th floor only) but the balcony was useful and the room well set up. The bathroom was ageing but clean and there was a problem with the shower head flying off while in use, but otherwise the air-conditioned room was very comfortable. The breakfast service in the ground floor dining area was exceptional and the range of food delicious and extensive. Staff were extremely helpful and the hotel pool area a real delight, given we were enduring some serious summer heat. All in all, the Plaza was a wonderful base for our Rhodian experience and we'd recommend it as good value for money.

We spent a great holiday at Plaza on October 13-20. Our room 521, 5th floor, pool view, was perfect for us. Very friendly service, perfect location, delicious breakfast. We will return to this hotel.!!

I booked a three night stay and stayed at this hotel in October 2018, and it was good. The room was air conditioned and came with a balcony, a safe for storing valuables, a kettle, and mini bar. The breakfast selection had a variety of foods including cheese, yogurt, pancakes, eggs, bacon, cereal, and fruit. There is also a pool with outdoor bar. The location is great too, only taking about 10-15 minutes to reach the old town and less to reach the bus station.

Enjoyed my stay here as the hotel is well located for the town centre as well as the local cruise terminal. Stayed close tot eh hotel for dinner in the bars and cafes in the nearby streets around the night market. There was just as much activity on the nearby sea front ! Next time!

This hotel is very well situated for easy access to the old city and to restaurants outside of the tourist areas. Great for staying over night before a departure by ferry to the Dodécanèse Islands. I have already made reservations to return to the hotel later this week. Value for the price is excellent!

Very good hotel. In particular, all the staff were very welcoming, nice and helpful. The hotel is very clean, good food with lots of variety, reasonable priced bar, nice pool area with jacuzzi. The rooms are also very clean, with comfortable bed and we had a small balcony looking over the pool. Location wise, this hotel is excellent! It's right in the middle with just a few minutes walk in either direction to the old town or new town. The only negative was that there was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke in our room for a couple of days. It's a shame as this is not the fault of the nice staff but of the selfish ignorant guests. The manager did his best to find out who was smoking in their room and put a stop to it however it did spoil our enjoyment for those few days, so otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

This is a good hotel the offers good value in a very good location. Restaurants are within a few hundred feet and the hotel has a restaurant and bar. The start of old town is about ten minutes away by foot. The room was clean and had a refrigerator, a TV and air conditioning with a balcony. The outdoor pool was nice.

I find the Plaza a friendly well-run hotel in a convenient location in Rhodes town. The breakfast is good (although it was even better in the past when there was fresh orange juice) and the poolside bar is too.

Just got back after a weeks stay in this hotel, our room was very good cleaned every day, restaurant food was very good not much choice for the evening meal that didn't bother us because we ate out most nights breakfast was very good staff in restaurant very helpful and friendly same as the bar. pool was ok sun beds to close together for my liking we like the beach which is only a short walk away same as the old town very nice hotel would stay again only down side is we had a late flight and wanted to book a late room which was €50 very expensive when other years we pay only €35 in other hotels in Rhodes town

If all u need is a shower and clean bed, then this is the hotel for u! Great location- close enough to walk to the old city by foot, but not too close so u can't hear all noise from there :) The rooms aren't sound proof at all, I could our neighbor using the toilet, sneezing and so on. The rooms are very clean. Nice pool. As for breakfast... they have gluten free bread and that's it on the gluten free bakery stuff. No attempt to offer a pancake, cake or anything else! Me and my partner didn't find the breakfast buffet very good. U didn't have a lot of options. If you need kosher food- this is definitely NOT the place for u.

We have just returned from a one week stay at the 4 star Plaza Hotel in Rhodes town and had a very good stay there. Check in was quick and efficient, as we arrived after the restaurant had closed we were told that we could have vouchers to get lunch on another day instead. We had to go back to the front desk a couple of times to get key cards re-programmed, service was always very good. We asked for a quiet room overlooking the pool, we ended up in room 223, this was quiet and overlooking the pool so we did get what we requested. The room was very clean, maids cleaned and towels changed daily, recently refurbished and came with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, the air-conditioning worked, there was a mini-bar, bathroom with over bath shower, safe operated by room key (So no extra charge) and plenty of storage space. There was a flat screen TV but we never used it so don't know what channels were available, the free wi-fi in the room and elsewhere in the hotel was very good. The only downside with the room was that the balcony was very small, on our last holiday we had a huge balcony (42sqm), this was tiny (Less than 2sqm) but it was not a problem, could still sit there and relax when I wanted. We were staying half board, the breakfast buffet was good, not a massive choice but enough to suit most tastes, I always had plenty of vegetarian food available. The selection did not vary much but what was there was good and fresh, hot dishes were hot and cold dishes cold, nothing luke warm and dried up.We only went for dinner once, again this was a buffet, the same comments apply as for the breakfast buffet, reasonable choice, fresh, temperature right. We did check out the buffet selection a couple of other nights and it seemed similar to the night we ate in. The service in the restaurant was good, tables were cleared quickly at all times, we only had to wait about 2 minutes one morning for a table to be cleared and reset. There is an un-heated pool at the back of the hotel as well as a jacuzzi, space was limited around the pool but there were an adequate number of loungers available, most of these were comfortable padded loungers, a few were older, unpadded ones. The hotel discouraged lounger hogging and generally most people abided to this, as always there were usually a few unaccompanied towels though. The pool bar sold a reasonable selection of food and drinks, the service was excellent, the barmen were always cheerful and had time for everyone. The main bar was also good, there was always a good atmosphere helped by the excellent barman Anestis, prices were reasonable, the drinks good quality and service first rate. The main reason we chose this hotel was for the location and we could not have chosen any better, there were loads of restaurants near the hotel, we were close to the marina and only a few minutes walk from the old town. The walk to the old town was along shopping streets and passed by the bus station on the way so we were also handy for buses to other parts of the island.

really friendly hotel. we stayed for a week and had no complaints. The room was clean and a good size. The buffet breakfast was very plentiful with every choice you could think of. This hotel is in a great location. 5 mins walk to the beach and restaurants, and 10 walk to the harbour and the old town. Shops and restaurants are plentiful. The hotel pool is very clean and was never crowded the whole time we were there. Plenty of comfy sunbeds. They have a nice pool bar where you can grab a drink and a bite to eat, all reasonable prices. If you want to stay in the centre of Rhodes, this is the hotel to stay in. It is up a side street so not noisy.

Had dinner here, the food was delicious. Antonio the waiter who served us was very friendly so were the rest of the staff, I would give this pace a five star just for how nice and welcoming the staff are, but everything about it is pretty 5*. It looks really fancy and at first you'd think it's too pricey but it's actually ok

This hotel scores ten out of ten on location; literally minutes from beach, the town and the walls of the old town. Right in the centre for everything you could need, yet on a quiet backstreet meaning you have no "noise" from the bustling Rhodes town. The hotel is looking a little dated and tired in places. The rooms, very clean could do with a revamp and I have literally never found balconies so small, just enough room to stand with a coffee. Air con was clearly getting to the end of its life, but it still worked and although not "cold" did keep the temperature low. Bathrooms very small, again need modernising, the lighting far from efficient especially for hair and make up. There is a mini fridge which was helpful and iron/board on request. Staff are friendly and professional although some of them didn't quite have a great understanding of English. Breakfast buffet, nothing special but certainly adequate. Getting a table can be difficult when busy but to be fair to staff they attend as quickly as they can. We didn't eat evening meal here but did eat around the pool and prices were very reasonable for very good food. The pool is a good size, not heated which I suppose is a bonus in the Greek heat. Sunbeds little grubby and not enough umbrellas, although in their defense there is not a great deal of room. Check out at noon, extra 30 euros to check out later - we checked out and took advantage of "room to shower" before an evening flight - this was a bit of a disaster - it is the unused sauna room downstairs which has no lock on, so good there was two of us! also shower was broke and hairdryer didn't work! A good point - right next door is a travel shop - unsure if this was part of the hotel, they were amazingly helpful and went out of their way, the prices were cheaper than those on the internet or on the harbour... worth a visit. In terms of location I really could not recommend enough, if you are looking for something central to everything, clean and good value - book this hotel

We didn't have the best start, arriving very late evening to find we had been allocated a temporary room which wasn't very nice and without a balcony,however the room we were given the next day was good overlooking the pool with the balcony we were expecting. That said the staff are very efficient and helpful in all sections of the hotel, and we felt they all seemed motivated and pleased to serve their customers. Our room had a mini fridge and kettle plus beverages. WiFi good too. Hotel is quite peaceful and small enough not to feel anonymous. Food quality was good especially the desserts, which were patisserie quality using fresh cream, including traditional Greek ones. The location is great, with the beach and old town less than 10 minutes within walking distance. We would consider staying again if we return to Rhodes.

Everything was good. We were with a baby and got everything we needed (mainly crib and chair). The people were very helpful. There were many good things about the hotel, the ones which we really enjoyed were the location - very close to restaurants, beach, dock and walled city ans the endless breakfast. Highly recommended and for families who like to combine different style of holidays: walking a lot, relaxing and eating!

We booked this hotel for its perfect placing in Rhodes Town. On a 7 day trip we always managed to find a good spot around the pool with parasol. It's very relaxing around the pool with no hassle. Great pool bar staff and prices were very reasonable. Food was also very good from the pool bar. Rooms are standard fare for a 4 star hotel, the bathroom and balcony are rather small but just about manageable. It's cosmopolitan with many different tastes to please for breakfast. English breakfast is limited to bacon and egg with a mushrooms mix and mini sausages in some sort of sauce. which didn't appeal. Tried a few pool meals which were good and tasty. Good internet wifi inside hotel, but poor reception around the pool area. Mini bar just has soft drinks with enough room for your own bottles. I've stayed in Rhodes 4 times now, and if I was to return I would def pick this hotel.

Nice Hotel in good location. Breakfast was good and not too grounded. Room was big enough and bed comfortable. Last two days we had problems tobacco smell coming to our room. Some one was smoking in his room and the aircondition brought the smell along. Reception was great trying to figure out the problem and we could have changed the room. Pool is nice and gets sun all day. It is good that the Doors to Pool opens at 10 am so people cant reserve the place early in the morning. We had dinner here once and it was good too. Many dishes to choose from. I would go to this Hotel again.

We spent 2 weeks in this hotel and keep very good memories of it. Indeed, the hotel itself is very good - high standards of BW chain and a good value for money. I'm not sure about other rooms but the one we had was of a good size for three. AC was functioning perfectly and was easily controlled. There was a balcony overlooking the pool - maybe not the size for sitting there with a glass of wine but good for drying beach towels and swimming suits. The pool is not big but quite clean. We are not big fans of spending time near the pool so is was quite ok to swim 15-20 minutes and quit. The breakfast was really very good - we always came in peak time but never had to wait for the table. The staff at breakfast is really very efficient and helpful. A lot of hot items and cold cuts, fresh fruits etc. Usually during long stays after several days of having breakfast in the hotel we try to find alternatives in the neighbourhood just for a change but here it was so good that nobody wanted to eat somewhere else. I can say nothing about the dinner as there is a lot of places to eat around and we never used a chance to eat in the hotel but their bar is quite good. The hotel is centrally located and is perfect for sightseeing however I wouldn't recommend it for long beach vacations. Probably it is just our perception but we didn't like beaches at the walking distance from the hotel. Luckily we found Faliraki beach - a fantastic sandy beach - in the very beginning of our two-week stay but you have to take a bus to go there and it takes about 40 minutes which is not very convenient especially with children though the buses are rather often. If you have a car every day it is not a problem but still it is not what I expect from beach vacations. But as it is a hotel review - the hotel itself is perfect - nothing to complain. Just get sure that it ok for your purpose.

This hotel has a perfect location- close to the beach, the harbour, the old town and lots of restaurants. The hotel itself is brilliant. The staff are polite and friendly, the rooms were cleaned perfectly everyday by friendly staff. The pool is nice although there aren't a huge amount of loungers (this didn't seem to be a problem for us though). Pool bar is great with a range of food and drinks. The breakfast is absolutely superb, there are many options available every morning as a buffet service from 7-10am (we recommend the pancakes)! The hotel doesn't have designated parking and there are only a few limited spaces on the roads nearby so it's first come first serve; if arriving late to the hotel parking could be a problem. We thought a car was necessary as although you are close to a lot of things, there are so many amazing places to visit and a car is necessary for this. There are lots of lovely restaurants a very short walk away from the hotel and lots of places that offer cocktails. All in all we had an amazing time in this fab hotel and would recommend to others!

A very good city hotel in the heart of Rhodes town. The pros are: you don't need a car. You can reach almost everything in walking distance, even the beach. There is a market around there, if you need a super market look for the food market just around the corner. Our room was not very spacious but there was enough room for 2 adults and a kid. There was also enough ergonomic space for luggage and a big closet as well. The staff of housekeeping was very friendly. The room was clean. There was pool towels complimentary in the room. Breakfast was great. A big buffet full of fresh delicious choices. Our highlights were omelette, fruit, melekouni and pancakes. Actually we found it difficult to try everything. There is also a boiler in the room. The air condiotioning is very efficient. The cons were of minor importance: Standard coffee could be better. We had a problem dealing with getting our swimsuits dry. There is an establishment in the bathroom but was not enough. Our swimsuits were not dry till the next morning. Maybe if there was something on the balcony could be a solution. The bathroom floor was slippery for kids but the housekeeping offered a bathpad.

We stayed (family of 4) at Hotel in July. Everything was great... perfect location, nice breakfast, very clean room, 5 minutes to beaches and 10 to old city... Infront of the hotel you can always find place to park your rent-a-car. All recommendation for perfect stay on this beautiful island...

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of days at the end of July and we had a very good time. We loved the location (close by the Old Town and lovely shops), the pool and most of all the staff. When we arrived here, we checked into a room without balcony, but I love to sit outside my room before going out in the evening, so we asked if we could get another room. This was absolutely no problem. Don't expect too much of the balcony, it's rather small, but I liked it nonetheless. The only minor thing that could be a bit better is the regulation of the air-condition temperature: although we did put it fully on, the temperature at night was still a bit too hot for me. But this was only a small thing amongst all the good things of the hotel. The breakfast was great; enough to choose from. At the pool restaurant the food was very good, for a reasonable price. We are also very satisfied about the service at the pool. I love to have a mimosa, and the guy that helped us (we don't know his name anymore unfortunately, but we called him Enrique), offered to make me a special mimosa, which was the best I've ever had. The staff at the desk was also extremely friendly; nothing was too much for them. I would definitely be coming back to this hotel, most of all because of the great service and the nice people that work here.

The hotel is perfectly situated for both the beaches, old town and other restaurants. (in fact perfect for the whole island). It is just off the busiest areas by 100m and so the best of both worlds re quite quiet and literally seconds to the action. The rooms are a decent size, have functional aircon (controlled yourself) and are cleaned and serviced beyond expectation. Beach towels were provided on top of the room towels which were refreshed often. The hotel has a decent sized pool with sun loungers and a nice bar serving a decent variety of drinks and food and reasonable prices. We went half board and expected to eat out in the evening mostly but we ended up using the onsite facilities as it was so good and the staff so welcoming. My wife is vegetarian and was very contented with the choices on offer. The head waiter kept a very tight ship and kept everything very smoothly run throughout our stay and although busy at the time of year we were there he always sorted us a table and made the place feel relaxed. There is also an in house bar close to the restaurant which is good and again very friendly staffed. We hired a car and found it ok to park near to the hotel. Overall the hotel felt safe, friendly, clean and professionally run at very competitive prices for our stay generally and all the extras we chose. I would definitely go again.

We stayed in Plaza Hotel for business reasons, in June. We were satisfied by the service, our room was good for one person, clean, tidy, breakfast rich with many options. Location is convenient, close to many services and facilities. Swimming pool is a nice option to stay if you can't go to the beach.

First trip to Rhodes as a family with teenager. Excellent location of hotel deciding factor in choosing hotel. Literally round corner from lots of high street/designer shops in new town. 1min walk to Mandraki harbour so excellent for all water based trips. Few minutes walk to Grand Master palace entrance into medieval city which is majestic and charming at same time.Easy to spend hours wandering around it. Breakfast plentiful,international fare with options for all tastes(although i favoured the Greek option of gorgeous feta and olives). We had half board and are vegetarians. Buffet style but once staff knew this keen to point out what dishes were suitable. One night we wanted pasta but the dish made had meat. Staff quick to respond to request for a vegi alternative which made for us no problem.Many places to eat within minutes so would be inclined to go bed and breakfast only if returned in order to explore the many options. Special mention to George and Marias round corner for the best falafel! Mini bar very reasonable pricing as pool bar/menu.No pressure from staff re drinks unlike some hotels. Used pool most days,was busy but always found a spot. Staff throughout friendly but not intrusive. Mixed nationalities using hotel although seemed lot of Americans at time we visited. Overall great location made this perfect choice for us.

Just back from a weeks' break in Rhodes town and stayed at the Plaza. Excellent value for money. Centrally sited and just the right size. Room clean and, modern. Buffet offering varied choice. Very friendly staff. If we return to Rhodes would certainly consider staying here again. Just a word of warning - and not really concerning the hotel - the parking in the town is really challenging.

The Plaza Hotel is a wonderful hotel in an ideal location. It is not overly large, so you feel like a Guest, rather than just a number for the stat's. ALL of the staff are wonderful, professional and friendly. The Plaza Hotel is spotlessly clean and the food was excellent. Buffet style breakfast with various options to suit everyone. We found the evening meals, also buffet style, excellent, with a different menu each evening. It is only a 10-15 minute walk to the Old Town, which we explored extensively. A few minutes walk takes you to the Harbour, where you can get a ferry to various locations. Also only a few minutes walk to the restaurants and bars.

I chose this hotel by it's great reviews but unfortunately the visit was a disappointment to me. We wanted to have a room for one night from the center because we had an Airbnb cottage quite far away from center. I booked a room with the pool/garden view but still we had one from the other side and the other side was not that beautiful side with the view of city and roofs. Our room wasn't the one we booked (and paid beforehand) and it was dirty and it was so much mold in it that we noticed it right away after stepping in the room. And all this would be OK, but when we gave this feedback to the hotel staff they didn't even care, vice versa they were rude. So only good thing about this hotel was the location.

We arrived from Athens to return to Rhodes Island where we had our honeymoon 27 years ago. We arrived from the airport to the city centre via the bus. The journey time was aprox 40 mins with single trip cost of 2.60€. The bus station was a walk of aprox 10 mins to the hotel. The hotel is perfectly located very central to the beach, shops, restaurants and tourist sites. The rooms were comfortable, clean with adequate storage space, a free safety deposit box and good WiFi. Breakfast buffet had plenty of choices to suit all tastes. Overall a convenient location, with friendly staff in a safe area.

My second time at the Plaza. So near the old town, the port and just about every place you wish to go. Very nice waiting staff always with smile and a kalimera. Breakfast is a buffet plenty to eat, cooked, cereals fresh fruit. Lovely pool but spoiled a bit by the smarties occupying the louges with towels at 7 when the pool opens at 10. Not the staff fault as I witnessed a member of staff asking someone to remove the towel and go back at 10 butt totally ignored by the very rude man. Food at the pool is very nice and very reasonable and so are the drinks. Will go back.

Great location for beach, old town, new town and port. The staff were, without exception friendly, professional and helpful. The rooms were clean, spacious and lovely comfortable beds, effective air conditioning and quiet at night as in a quiet street. Lovely bar area plus pool bar. Best place we've ever stayed in Greece and will return next year.

We stayed here for a week, and we loved it. The location was in the middle of Rhodes. Easy access to the old Rhodes Town and the port and beaches. The hotel itself is great. The rooms spacious and clean. The pool area was fantastic, and the buffet breakfast was magnificent. The staff always had a smile and a hello. One particular staff member, the barman Anestis. Always had a smile and greetings what ever time of the day it was. He was also very helpful with advice, even to people who came off the street. His drink making skills was superb. I have made a lifelong friend

We travelled to Rhodes from Melbourne Australia for the first time, not familiar with Rhodes at all. We Had no problem settling in to the Plaza Hotel. The staff spoke English well, were helpful and friendly. Our room clean and comfortable. Pool area lovely too. Excellent location walking distance to shops and beaches. Overall an enjoyable stay:)

This city centre hotel is right in the heart of everything, 12 minute walk to the Old Town, 8 minute walk to the Casino & beach (We are in our late 60's, so tend to saunter rather than a brisk walk). 5 minute walk to restaurants and bars. Even although you are in the thick of things it is quite quiet. Plus for a city centre hotel it has a good size pool and sunbeds are comfortable. Not too many sunshades so if like my husband you have to have shade you need to get to the pool early. The hotel itself is nice, rooms are fine, has everything you want, but don't expect a wow factor, for the price you pay its very good value. The prices in the bar are no more expensive than bars outside. Lovely friendly barman (sorry can't remember his name). The breakfast at the hotel is very good but the evening meal is in my opinion just standard hotel buffet, nothing to write home about. Where the hotel lets itself down is their refusal to be flexible and perhaps they are losing revenue because of this, We asked if it would be possible on a couple of occasions to change buffet dinner to lunch at the pool so that we could have dinner out, the answer was no. We then asked, can we have an allowance towards ordering off the Al a Carte menu on an evening, once again we were told no. Had we been given an allowance towards Al a Carte we would have been inclined to linger over dinner and would have ordered bottle of red & bottle of white wine between the 4 of us, as such we used to have a couple of drinks at the bar before dinner and then just had a bottle of water with the buffet dinner and then went out for the evening. You also need to be aware that if you go down to dinner any later than 8.00pm the choice gets less and less especially the desserts. We would go back to the hotel if in Rhodes Town again, but in hindsight we would only book bed and breakfast as we only stayed in for the evening meal on 4 occasions out of the seven. This is a good hotel, but with a few tweaks it could be an excellent hotel and overall we enjoyed our stay at the Plaza.

At checkout, EUR15 was due (for the EUR3 per night of government tax). Staff clearly didn't understand that my total booking cost (through Bookings.com) was inclusive of this tax, even though I explained it to them. Instead they wanted to charge me EUR30.30, essentially double charging for the tax (I have no idea where the extra 30 cents came from). When I refused to pay and kept explaining that only EUR15 was due, they took my credit card details from Bookings.com and charged me that way, and when I asked to confirm that only EUR15 was charged, they said yes. However after returning from the trip, I see in my credit card statement that they actually charged EUR 30.30 without my authorisation in the end, and lied to my face about it! Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Stay away from this hotel.

The Plaza is a beautiful hotel in a very convenient area of Rhodes Town. The room was large with a balcony and view of the water. Everything was very clean! Their breakfast was amazing, and had everything imaginable on the buffet. I wish I had brought a swim suit as the pool looked very inviting, plus it was only a short walk to the beach. All of the tour boats were just a couple blocks away, plus lots of shopping. It's very close to the Medieval town and castle. I would love to stay again!

I booked the night before, and got a very good rate of €65 a night. Very good value for money. The front desk clerk was friendly, and I was able to check in at 1 pm (noon would have worked, too, but the clerk recommended that I wait an hour and get a better room). My bigger-than-average-sized room was on the top floor and came with a balcony (with chairs and a table), three beds (a sitting area instead of the third bed would have been nice), a bathroom with a smallish bathtub, a minibar and a safe. While the room would benefit from a renovation, it was clean and tidy and everything worked. There were sockets by the bed for charging your devices. My bed was comfortable. The a/c was efficient enough, but it turns off automatically when you remove the key card from the slot by the door (or if you open the balcony door). Wifi was fast and reliable, no problem watching videos. Water pressure in the shower could have been better. There are beach towels in the room that you can take out to the pool or beach at no extra charge. The pool area was remarkably quiet – there were guests there, but they weren't noisy. Hardly any children during my stay. The pool was of good size for a city center hotel. The poolside bar served drinks, snacks and meals to very moderate prices. Breakfast (included in the room rate; walk-ins pay €7, which is a bargain) was served from 7 to 10 am, and it was an ample buffet with both hot and cold items as well as some Greek specialities and delicious fresh fruit. There's also a chef on call to make you your omelette of choice. Location was good, the hotel is within walking distance from the old city as well as shopping areas. All in all a very enjoyable two-night stay in a hotel that I would consider four-star. For the price I paid, it was excellent value. I could see myself returning, and paying a bit more, too.

The Plaza (Best Western) is great hotel in the ‘new' town, centrally located within easy reach of the beaches, good bars and restaurants, mini markets and shops, Mandraki harbour and is about a 10 minute walk to the Old town. The large pool area with jacuzzi is lovely, has the sun all day and has a great bar serving food and playing contemporary sounds. The hotel provides pool towels. The open bar at the front of the hotel is also reasonably priced, fun, and the staff at both were great (special thanks to Anestis, Dimitri and Kostas). Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice and a man making fresh Omelettes, Crepes etc. Coffee/Tea juice etc. is available from a machine. This time I was room 308 overlooking the road with partial sea-view and larger balcony than the pool-view rooms. Smoking not allowed on balcony. The TV channels are basically non-existent, but they did put on MotoGP in the main bar. What a great afternoon that was (hic!). Check-out: after a day at the pool/beach you may use the bathroom downstairs that belongs to the hotel sauna if you require it. Transfer pick up: if your transfer is ‘post office' be aware this means it's a coach so you must drag bags down to the main road (where all the big coaches stop). It's an easy walk to the beaches. NB. All have a stony entrance into the sea so take/buy aqua shoes and with a bit of a shelf you'll soon be out of your depth, but it's so buoyant you can just bob about with little effort. Wonderful! There are a couple of mini-markets left out of the hotel and also Mandilara the pedestrianised area. There are some excellent restaurants (with good red wine!) on Leontos Street, which is off 28 Oktovriou Street. Kerasma remains my favourite.

This hotel is well located near old town, comfortable and clean. The rooms are big enough for two people with luggage and still have room to move. The pool area is lovely when it's to windy for the beach which is a short stroll down the road. Restaurants galor around this area and shopping is plentiful. The harbour walk is a must. Breakfast was lovely and clean..

The hotel is in a good location, just a short walk to the harbour and the spectacular Old Town. It's also very close to the Bus Station for days out around the island. The room was spacious and clean. Having a fridge in the room was great for storing bottles of water and the kettle and tea tray very welcome. The pool area was clean with plenty of sun beds, chairs and tables. The breakfast buffet was excellent. A huge choice of freshly prepared hot and cold food, served on a spotlessly clean buffet.

I must ask please who ever reads this review,read to it to the end. It is not all bad . Firstly we arrived late on the 2nd May due to our flight being delayed , on arrival we were met by a mature gentlemen with grey hair, I informed him of my name and his reply was extraordinary, I travelled with a friend and we shared a room . His comment was . What 2 men staying in the same room!!!. I replied Yes . I then asked him about the restaurant and I know we are late due to the flight delay, He said there is no food available and the restaurant is closed. ..., We then decided to go the room and leave our bags and find somewhere to eat, Bear in mind we are staying HB . Later when we returned my friend went to the room and I went to the bar for a drink at around 23:15 , To my amazement when I was sat at the bar another gentlemen had a plate of food brought out to him from the Kitchen. So first impressions of this hotel were not great. Over the next two weeks of our stay we had several issues, Firstly, the Wi Fi in our room was awful, we reported it is to reception on several occasions and I thought we fobbed off every time with excuses, It was sporadic in the whole two weeks and poor. Secondly, our fridge stopped working twice after we had asked reception to have it fixed . In the end they put a new Fridge in. Thirdly, Smoke permeates through the dining area and even in the morning in our room as we were above the restaurant.. Last but not least . We felt the Buffet was repetitive and of poor quality food,Also too many dishes were recycled into salads. General feel of the hotel is it is past its best and does not warrant its current star rating. Now for the positives . Great Air con, Good pool area although it should have more covers for the loungers.Breakfast was adequate Staff in general were nice in particular the Restaurant, a mention for George and Antonis, Only one person to mention reception is Nicolleta .All the Chamber maids were very nice and smiley. Our main issues came from reception staff, Heads bowed down every time you passed reception and not a greeting or smile .These people know who they are and require serious training in people skills.

Stayed for a week with a group of friends. Hotel was in a good location, short walk to harbour and old town and in the newer part of town with shops and restaurants . Room was spacious and clean although the bathroom was a little cramped. Meals are buffet style with an extensive choice and the staff very efficient friendly and helpful. Lovely pool with plenty of sun beds , also area to sit at tables and areas in the shade . Drinks and snacks available at reasonable prices poolside. I have temporary mobility problems but the hotel was easy to move around . Very spacious and lifts to all floors . Enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay again .

We stayed here for three nights. Personally I had no complaints. Huge balcony in the sun of about 30 m2, with a view of the pool area if you stood on tiptoe. Pool excellent and warm. Sun beds. Nice area for a stroll around. Staff friendly, lifts work, what's not to like? Big bonus was breakfast choice and evening buffet. Brilliant and for sure the best value meal in town. Highly recommended.

Stayed here 6 nights, March 2018 in a junior suit. Living room and bedroom. Bed comfortable. Very helpful English speaking staff. Breakfast was great (wide variety of hot and cold items). Centrally located about 1 mile or less from Old Town, Acropolis, harbor, shops and restaurants. A few minor issues. Seemed like the AC was not turned on for the season, only hot air came out. Could not get the room safe to work. Our room while spacious had no view. Overall an excellent stay, great value at only 122 Euro per night including breakfast (off season). Solid 3 to 4 star hotel hotel.

We choosed this hotel because it is located in the center. On arrival we had a quick check in, the guy at reception was helpful, smiling and explained us the facilities of the hotel. They gave us a beautiful room for five persons but........it is located up the restaurant, so we had three horrible evenings. One night, my three boys where playing in the room and suddenly the girl of the reception knocked our door and told us that my kids making noise and disturbing people at restaurant. I apologized for her and i said that the rule in Greece says that you cant make noise from 15:30-17:30 and from 22:30 till 7:30. They knew that i have three kids why they gave me a room near by restaurant????? Second night, it was 30/12/17, they had gala dinner due of wedding, music so loud, noise from restaurant, we couldnt sleep properly, my kids make noise and disturb the restaurant but when the noise of the restaurant disturb my kids, who care?????? It is unfair!!!! Third night, it was 31/12/17, the restaurant organized a special dinner for New Years Eve, music stopped at 3:00 O'clock in the morning, waiters after should prepare the restaurant for breakfast for next day, too much noise , lout music, my baby (20 months old) couldnt sleep, so my husband took the baby around 4:00 O'clock morning at went to sleep in car!!!! That is not holidays. I paid to sleep in room and not in car. It is a shame. I booked the hotel almost one month before, they new that i have three small kids, why they gave me a room beside the restaurant???? And the most dangerous thing is that i found twice crockroach ( ?????????) at buffet during breakfast and I informed the girl who served the breakfast. No manager, no hotel owner, no public relations manager, no front office manager to complain. From the another part, the staff is so lovely in all the departments,they solved our small problems, they tried alway to compensate us in their way. Food is so delicious. Room is so clean. No more room 103 in this hotel.

Good classic hotel that provided excellent value for money. The rooms are good with a balcony. The public spaces in this hotel were very pleasant to sit in or to have a drink. In the summer the pool area would provide a welcome place to relax. Close to the old town and beach. Staff friendly and helpful. Would certainly consider going there again.

Close to the oldtown, the beach, shops and restaurants, car rental Margaritis around the corner (great guy !). Clean room and clean towels daily, safe and fridge in the room. Breakfast good, pool is nice, all and all a very nice place to stay.

This is not a beach front hotel, so don't expect a view. But it's a very nice place to base your tour of Rodos. Very easy to walk to beach, aquarium, casino, old town, harbor. Even the acropolis, though I would not call that an easy walk because of the climb. Our room came with breakfast included, which turned out to be a full service breakfast with eggs, meats, cheeses, bread, fruit, cereal, jams...you name it. We were here off-season, and found that many local restaurants are closed. There are plenty of pizzerias and sidewalk eateries, but if you want to branch out from Greek food, the hotel turned out to be a good place to get a nice dinner as well. Very courteous staff, and some delicious items on the dinner menu at fairly reasonable prices. We had our best meal here during our stay. Rooms were adequately sized, clean. Our room looked out the front of the building to...another building, but we easily found our way to all the major sights. Bus station was about 1/4 mile away and we were able to use it to get to other places and to the airport for our return trip.

As always excellent value and superb service. Rooms comfortable and balcony covers smokers. Pool available. Lift to all floors. Improved WiFi. Restaurant staff attentive and food brilliant. Hairdresser one road over.

Smoking is allowed in the bar and restaurant areas, and due to the open plan design, the smell permeates through the whole hotel. We were on the third floor, and I was kept awake by the smell of cigarette smoke. Ended up rolling a towel up at the bottom of the door and opening the balcony door to try and get rid of the smell. The hotel also had quite a strong chemical air freshener smell (febreez?) to mask the smoke, which resulted in us all feeling rather queasy. Other than that, facilities and staff were nice.

Loved my weeks stay at this friendly comfortable hotel. The bar area is one of the best hotel bars I have come across. Very reasonably priced and lovely set up, comfortable and nice tasteful music in the background. The only negatives I can give this hotel is the bathrooms in the rooms need a refurb. The pool wasn't very inviting. Breakfast wasn't the best but I'm not a cooked breakfast person anyway. So when we did get up for it there was always something I could have. Also I feel more English tv channels are needed. These may sound like a lot of negatives but my overall experience warrants this hotel it's 5 stars.

Just had a wonderful week in the best western. Lovely hotel great location for everything. Staff where all smiles and friendly. Special mention to anestis the bar tender who was great always smiling and happy in his work. Really could not fault the hotel me and my wife really enjoyed our week there. Lovely bar area and comfortable beds around the pool had plenty of sun loungers and the bar tender in the pool area although I never caught his name was also very good at his job.

Another overnight and surprised by comfort of bed and pillows.....they've obviously been spending some money! The bathrooms though desperately need to be upgraded to make this a great hotel rather than a very good one. It's our hotel of choice as staff always welcoming and courteous. Generous breakfast.

The hotel is very well located in the city centre making it ideal for business meetings, as well as, a place from where to operate. The service overall is excellent: restaurant, bar and others as well.

The hotel was really nice, friendly staff and good location in the centre of Rhodes town and close to the both of the beaches. The pool area was small but every day there was enough space for everyone. The breakfast and dinner in the hotel's restaurant were absolutely amazing! The food was really good! The service all over the hotel was great. We had a room with a pool view and otherwise there was nothing wrong with the room but the balcony was quite small.

Fantastic hotel. Can't understand the moaners! Modern, friendly, clean, very helpful staff. Excellent location. The first time ever we haven't had to put towels on the sunbeds! A small pool area, admittedly, but always a space. Breakfast buffet had plenty of choices. Favourite restaurants were Romeos in the Old Town and Reds in the new town.

As a local I have been staying at this hotel quite a few times. Unfortunately the last time I entered the lobby and asked the receptionist about availability and prices he was extremely rude to me informing me that the hotel was almost fully booked and that there was just one room available at that price. 'Take it or leave it, I am speaking to you in Greek, what is it that you don't understand?' were his exact words to me! Unfortunately he was not wearing a badge so and of course he didn't want to give me his name. When I asked to speak to the Front Office Manager or the Hotel Manager, he informed me that they weren't there and that I was more than welcome to walk into the offices to see for myself. Seriously, 4 star quality? I believe not! More like a disgrace and it is such behaviour that gives us Greeks a bad name. Worst Western Hotel Plaza: Never again!

Renovation at rooms should do soon. Bool small and cold. Tables too much at bool area. Staff nice and helpfull.

Really enjoyable stay at this hotel. Great location - in the new town and close to all the restaurants and the port. A 10 - 15 minute walk to the old town. Easy walk to the beaches. Decent sized pool really useful in that there is always a part of it shaded, even at noon. Good snacks at reasonable prices. We had rooms on the top floor looking out over the street. However the double glazing meant everything was quiet - the a/c was very effective. Good powerful shower. Breakfast buffet always great for fruit, bakery etc etc. Even the mass produced cooked stuff was decent, and there's a chef for omelettes etc if that's what you want. We didn't eat in the evening, but it always looked pretty busy. As a Best Western and a bit above the package prices it's probably not going to attract the youngest of guest profiles ! All the staff we encountered were really helpful. The hotel uses a travel agency next door for car hire, and whilst we could probably have saved a few euros shopping around, I went in to the agency at 7:30 in the evening, and had a very decent car delivered to the front door the next morning. It's not a five star top of the range luxury hotel, but we'd go back any time - we thought it was real value for money.

Stayed here for one week with family and we had an amazing time. The hotel is in a great location near to the old town and close to the beach. Within reach of lots of restaurants and shops. The facilities are fantastic with the safe and air con at no extra charge. The Wi-Fi is also free and with great coverage, in fact I am writing this on the sun lounger next to the pool awaiting our departure pick up. The staff are all lovely and very helpful. We had b&b but also are at the hotel on a couple of occasions and the food was fabulous. An absolutely amazing hotel for a visit to Rhodes town.

We have stayed at the Plaza many times, though for only two nights at a time, and find it comfortable, convenient for our purposes and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is generally good and the bar well stocked and run. There have been changes since we were last there, most for the better. The dining room has a better layout than before.

There was nothing to displease at this hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. It was close to everything we wanted to see and do. There was a good selection of restaurants on the doorstep and the neighbourhood was safe. A good choice. The breakfast buffet staff were exemplary. Always ready to help and serve with a smile.

We have been overnighting at The Plaza for the last few years. The staff are helpful, the hotel is well maintained and is regularly refurbished and breakfast is plentiful and caters for a wide range of tastes. However, the nightly cost has increased hugely over the last 3 years, now making us reconsider using it in the future. £120 - £!40 per night in high season seems exceptionally high. Even booking months in advance doesn't impact on the rate.

Stayed over on route to symi.room was clean but at front of hotel the view was of run down building.I would not have wanted to stay another night in that room.on the plus side the evening buffet and breakfast buffett were really good hotel staff friendly and helpful.the location was good as if you turn right you come across some lovely tavernas and shops wich are relatively chesperbthan those by the water front

Comfortable, spacious. Good location. Very good breakfast. Wifi worked well. Rooms are with balconies. The sea was seen from mine. There is a swimming pool and a bar in the hotel. A tea kettle in the room. It was a pleasant stay.

Returned home on Sunday after a 2 week stay. The hotel was a perfect place to return to after spending the days travelling around Rhodes and Symi and as many people have mentioned, it's situated in a great location with the old town, tavernas, shops and bars mere minutes away. The rooms are cleaned daily to a very good standard and bed linen, towels etc were changed every couple of days. The breakfast buffet offered an excellent choice of hot food, cold, continental & Greek & a special thanks to George and Fotini who were always on hand to make sure I had access to gluten free bread, crackers and soya milk. Nothing was too much trouble. If you're too tired for a wander in the evening the bar area is a great place to relax, superbly managed by Anestis who always provided first class service and had an excellent rapport with all the customers. In short I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Rhodes or passing by, we'll definitely return.

Stayed at this hotel several times and it is a perfect stopover when on route to Symi. Good location, Lots of eating places nearby and near to Rhodes Old Town.Hotel has a pleasant bar area and provides a good breakfast to suit all tastes.

The hotel is in a great location just minutes from the old town and the harbourside. However, the rooms are badly in need to an upgrade. Our bathroom door didn't shut and wasn't fixed for the whole week we were there. The beds are iron hard. The décor is tired and feels very 3* ish. The 'sea view' was a la Basil Fawlty! The WIFi is terrible! We had virtually none I the room, none at all by the pool and only got a reasonable signal in the bar. Very frustrating. The pool was freezing! Breakfast is very average. Disapointing. On the positive side the staff were very friendly.

The hospitality of the staff was excellent, we stayed on a half board basis, had a room with partial sea view, which was more of a benefit for viewing the town rather than the sea. The room was cleaned and tidied daily. The buffet breakfast and dinner provided a wide choice to eat and the food was well cooked compliments to the chef. Breakfast was always busy so get there early to choose where you want to sit in the restaurant. The hotel has a medium size swimming pool, we did not use because the beach was only 5min away. We enjoy walking, which was a benefit as many of the attractions and activities were within 20 min walk from the hotel, or a short bus journey (costing up 2 euros), whereas organised tours to these same attractions (Rodini Park, Ancient Stadium, Butterfly park, Lindos etc) were much more expensive. The hotel is in an ideal location as the main shopping centre is 2 min from the hotel and the medieval city is 4 min away

We chose the hotel because Rhodes can be very hot and we wanted a pool for our one night in Rhodes before catching a flight. Our stay was pleasant and the staff were nice, but the interior decoration of the hotel is really dated. We almost laughed when we saw the place that we had picked on the internet! Like something out of the 80s and shabby too in places. The location is very convenient, but I wouldn't stay there again. If you pay a substantial amount for a hotel, you don't want to pay for something that's long overdue for a refit.

+ The location in the city center - Room was big but a quite outdated, I felt back to the 80's ! (Bed was quite comfortable indeed). - At 1st floor, balcony without any privacy with the adjacent one, and another one in front. Butts in the plants (as they don't put any ashtray). - Surrounding by the pool not very inviting to spend time there. - Breakfast was ok and buffet dinner (included with the room) was low quality. Expensive for what you get (190 € , 2 adults + 1 child, mid August, buffet dinner compulsory included).

Overall experience was nice. Pretty good food and positive attitude from all hotel staff. Very reasonable prices. Also located in pretty good place. Easy go get everywhere, old town, harbor etc. Room service was also fine. Maybe the rooms were a littlebit outdated but not big problem. Only negative point was voices from other rooms. But easily fixed by earplugs.

This hotel was lovely, but not luxurious. Very well located in the heart of Rhodes with very simple clean rooms. The buffet breakfast which was included was amazing and full of choice. The hotel staff were friendly and always happy to help. The pool was a bit of letdown with not much space around it - a first in best dressed scenario. My recommendation to them would be to get rid of the tables & chairs and replace them with sunbeds :)

The price was excessive as I was allocated a family room, apparently no smaller room available although I booked three months in advance. The price and availability appeared the same on booking.com and the hotels own site.However the rate offered to a local travel agent was considerably less.

Hotel in what is the major tourist area that can get quite noisy. Rooms are comfortable and the WIFI works. Breakfast is reasonable, we ate there for dinner as we had a child with us and couldn't venture too far. Staff are a mixed breed, the majority were fantastic but a couple especially the morning ship you felt wanted to be elsewhere. This is a 3.5 hotel but just short of a 4. The pool was great and convenient

Well-located, friendly hotel with a large,varied buffet breakfast. Dinner buffet wasn't as good. Pool area is a little tight so sunloungers may be limited. Bathroom in room was incredibly small. Overall, I would definitely return. Hotel was clean, staff attentive and with small shop across the road, within easy reach of daily essentials.

The hotel, the pool area and the room were nice and clean, and the breakfast OK. Location of the hotel is excellent. The dinner buffet was a disappointment with tasteless food and rude service. We also ordered an iron to be delivered to our room, but they never sent it..

My husband and I visited towards the end of July. This hotel is within minutes walk of the harbour, the beach and the Old Town. Within the surrounding streets there are a range of bars and restaurants. The staff were friendly - housekeeping especially - but the front desk could have been better informed about details of trips, or at least offered to find out. They could give the departure times for the bus to one particular site but both they, and the leaflet, said nothing about getting back! . They dealt effectively and swiftly with a group of young people having a bit of an after midnight night party on the balcony next door. Sunbeds in the pool area are tightly packed and busy - but we generally found a space after a short wait. You have to be prepared to sit very close to other users. Beware the 'city view' room description. Do not expect a panorama. This is a view of the street outside - but our balcony was generous and the room was not too noisy. The 'parking (paid)' description could also be misleading. We had hoped to explore the island independently. There is no hotel parking. We were told there were a couple(?) of spaces at the front for hotel use but I suspect that was for dropping off. The street outside was metered. There were free areas around but we took one look at the solid ranks of cars and decided we had better things to do than drive around looking for a space - so no car. Great location - and I guess a good base given the time of year. If you want quiet and more room travel earlier.

Excellent location in Rhodes Old town, good value for money & the staff were very helpful and attentive, nothing too much trouble. Close to Mandraki harbour and the old town, not the noisier newer part of town.

Location within short walking distance to beach, harbor and the old town. Nice and quiet Hotel. Pool area also nice and quiet (sunbeds close to each other). The food and service in the restaurant was also good.

Very clean and friendly with excellent facilities. The buffet style breakfasts and dinners had so much choice with both hot and cold dishes and all were delicious and great value for money. The bathroom was small but served its purpose adequately. I would not hesitate in staying there again and will do so on my next holiday to Rhodes.

I have spent a tranquil and beautiful week with my fiancee at Best Western. Thumbs up! Great location, very good food, friendly and helpful personnel. I strongly recommend this lovely hotel to those who want quality!

I whine each year that I love this place, but wish they updated it. ALRIGHT!!!! The carpets in the rooms vanished this year replaced with nice tile, the bedding took an upgrade, and the wireless jumped up!!! Now, combined with the excellent staff, great breakfasts, perfect location and pool (well, the pool still has babies in diapers - fecal teabags), makes this an excellent choice.

Very well located within 5 mins walk from anywhere in Rhodes Town. Clean , presentable and well furnished . Nice staff , always ready to be of assistance. Half board not much more than B&B so we ate here a couple of nights and went out for dinner on the other nights. Highly recommended

We stayed as a family of 3. The location is the best, it's close to the beach the harbour the night life on bar street and more importantly the magnificent old town which we loved. The hotel is very clean, the maids clean the room every day except for Sunday. Clean towels, a mini bar with soft drinks and bottled water, but this is not free, if you use one get it half the price straight across the road from the hotel, make sure to get identical to replace which you must do before the maids come in and replace. noticed that we were getting mosquito bites at night ( definitely in the bedroom) hotel provided us with plug ins after bringing it to their attention, so ask for them on arrival, we ended up with loads of bites. We sprayed our selves with jungle formula before going out but the pharmacist told us you must also spray yourself just before you get into bed. We stayed for 14 night and I only had two breakfasts, one early on in the holiday and one on leaving and can honestly say it was very good, I didn't get up for the rest because I don't eat breakfast at home. Now I wasn't happy at all when handing in our room key cards. It was on 12/07/17 at about 1030am, I was met with a very negative, no people skills receptionist who must have got out of the wrong side of the bed. I approached her and said, hello, I would like to hand in my key cards, she replied ok and said, just a moment whilst I look at the mini bar bill and then said abruptly, 4.75 euros not sure exactly the amount but it's as near as dam it. I said my husband will be hear in a moment, he's in the lift after me, so I said, please can I order a taxi to the airport, she replied when you've paid the mini bar then I will order a taxi, I said okay but was absolutely disgusted with the way she said it, she doesn't deserve her job, she didn't even ask us if we enjoyed our stay, just wasn't interested in any feedback, how sad because we did. The taxi fare to and from the airport was 30 euros each way. Rhodes town is massive which was great. The coffee frappes were so nice. Hope this was helpful.

I understand why I paid too much in mid season, this I didn't get, how people choose this hotel for their vacation. Everything looks past age and untended. Breakfast was so greasy and tasteless, so second day I avoid it. A veil steak I ordered for in room dining was a tragedy of fat. Generally the one thing there that matters was the personnel, happy and smiling, while they were taking care of your accommodation.

The service folks are great but you need to ask for some things... like removing used shampoo bottles or cleaning the bathroom counter tops. Ask if they have replaced the wifi before you book if you need wifi! teh location is great for the beach and access to town. Very helpful front desk staff with great intentions but the owners must be pre-interent generation!

Room with pool view good but but bathroom small. Great pool & bar and main bar. Lovely buffet breakfast and dining area. Staff friendly and helpful especially front barman. Gave us breaibag to take as we left early.

This hotel is in a great location within walking distance of many of the Rhodes town attractions. It was a pretty standard room, and the bathroom was a bit small, but the bed was great, nice balcony looking towards the sea, and it was very clean. The hotel has a lovely pool--amazing considering it is so central in town. The staff were delightful, and you felt they really wanted you to enjoy yourself. Absolutely great breakfast was included and it was great value. We would stay there again for sure.

We met up with friends who stay here frequently and had lunch. Everything was very good indeed and the service was discreet and good. The front doesn't look that wonderful but once you are inside it is very comfortable.

Ordered on the internet at Plazas own site - ordered pool view, but got view to alley next to noisy street. When reported at checkout - just claimed usual price. Bar and restaurant was ok - but mosquitos ;-(

This is a fab hotel Peaceful and relaxing Close to the old town, new town and harbours and beaches. Very good breakfasts , pool bar does lovely lunches and drinks Main bar is also good, there is plenty of seating areas, in bar and large seating area that is comfortable and quiet.

This was our second stay, the first being in 2012, which made us keen to come back as back then it was comfortable, reasonably spacious and well run. This time was even better. Breakfast offered a fantastic selection of good quality food, staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. Pool bar food and drinks are competitively priced and the rooms are kept clean with fresh towels daily. The location is very handy for exploring on foot Mandraki, the town centre, the windy beach, the old town, good tavernas and local bars. Excellent tavernas within 2 mins walk. A kettle and cups were provided plus a spacious bathroom, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, a free safety deposit box, and a good hair dryer. Good TV service with nearly 40 channels, good picture quality too. Balcony was a bit narrow though. All in all an excellent hotel

everything to satisfaction, rooms, breakfast, pool, staff, hotel bar, every day decent cleaning of the rooms Hotel is close to everything. The old town, restaurants and the beach except the wifi, wifi not everywhere in reach.

We weren't staying here but as guests we could pay €7 and have the buffet breakfast which we did. It's got to be the best buffet breakfast we'd had and at only €7 each it was excellent value. It included cereals, fruit, doughnuts, bacon, eggs, coffee, juice, crepes, toast, cheese, ham, yoghurts etc etc It filled us for the day. Staff made us very welcome and we did visit one evening for the buffet dinner which was equally good and only €15 each.

When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist didn't really seem that happy to see us. We checked in gave the holiday voucher in which stated pool view. We were given our key and told what floor our room was on. The receptionist gave us no details about the hotel. We went to our room and were quite annoyed that we had been given a road view. We went downstairs to reception and asked the receptionist why this happened and showed her our voucher again. She replied by saying we had an upgrade, the room didn't really seem any different and why didn't she inform us in the first place? She changed our room, we had a partial pool view. The balconies were quite small although we had two chairs there. The air conditioning we found only worked when it felt like it. There was a hairdryer, tea making facilities, TV (with hardly any English channels), fridge and safe. Toiletries are provided. The cleaners didn't seem to clean properly, the floor always seemed dusty and our cup that we used never seemed to be changed. The hotel is in a great position, in between the new town and the old, the beaches and port are close by. Reception weren't that helpful when it came to tourist information. They had an excursions office next door, but they didn't even offer us a map. I have stayed in hotels before, where they will even reserve a table for dinner and bend over backwards to give you information on anything. It's difficult when it's your first time in a place. I can say though I cannot fault the breakfast, bar or snack bar staff, they always had a smile on their faces and very always pleased to see you. The breakfast was very tasty and there was a good range to choose from cooked or continental. The food in the snack bar was always well cooked and delicious, you could sit by the pool to eat, they served cocktails and drinks which were a good price. The pool was a decent size and there was a small jacuzzi although these would have been nicer if they were heated. We were always lucky to have a sun bed, but you could sit by the pool there were seats and tables. Overall we had a pleasant stay, and would go back as the majority of staff were great and the location was good.

Lovely hotel,near to the Old Town Walls,in easy reach of everything,bus station,harbour. Great breakfast's all you could wish for. Menu in the evening was very good aswell,couldn't fault the food we had. Pool area was lovely, I would deffinately choose this Hotel again.

If you want to stay in actual town of rhodos this is most certainly the place. The room was very clean, the breakfast very good. If you are a smoker you can smoke in the open air part of the bar and restaurant. For me the bar was never full of smokers. The staff at the desk were exceptionally helpful. One very small complaint the tea and coffee facilities in the romm were not always replaced. Would love to go back!!!!!!!!

Stayed with family and friends for three days recently (May 2017) Excellent location close to the water and shops and all the required amenities. Modern hotel with an excellent breakfast and bar facilities however did not eat there for lunch and dinner. Next door to the hotel has an excellent travel agent that can book you trips all give you superb advice. Negative observations: WIFI is problematic in rooms although you have no problems in the public area. Stayed in a superior room on the top level. Room is clean and modern but very small. Street noise can be invading however, if you are looking for atmosphere this is the place to go. Outstanding views and a very good breakfast included in the price. Recommended.

Fantastic location for the beach plus walking distance to all the attractions. Lovely rooms, comfortable beds, immaculately clean. Linen & towels changed everyday, hairdryer, kettle & fridge in room. Beach towels plus free safe provided (added bonus) And the staff are so helpful.. what more could you ask for ? I would totally recommend this Hotel to anyone wishing to visit Rhodes Town.

We booked this hotel independently after reading Tripadvisor reviews. The people running reception were excellent - very helpful and most courteous. The room was ample sized, clean and quiet with all amenities. Wifi was up to the required standard and free. The breakfast was excellent and there was a chef in attendance every day to cook you whatever you wanted that didn't appear in the comprehensive buffet. Great coffee too - unusual for Greek hotels, it can be a little earthy for me but this was spot on the mark! Anestis was the guy behind the (Cheers style) bar in the evening and he was great. There was a bit of trouble one night were a guy had had too much to drink. Anestis calmed him down and ushered him to bed with no fuss. Very professionally done. He knew his cocktails as well (not the drunk!). There is a large pool with a patio offering plenty of Sunbeds, chairs, tables, etc and a snack/drinks bar. I leave the best recommendation to the end - the hotel location. Ideally placed for the better restaurants, the harbour and the Medieval City. All within about 10/15 minutes easy stroll! Best Western people, you have got yourselves a winner!

The staff in this hotel are first class and very friendly .II have read other reviews about the staff not being very nice and I think the problems lie with the guest themselves ,treat others how you would like to be treated yourself and you will be rewarded. The hotel is in a great position for all the amenities that Rhodes has to offer. The pool could have been a little warmer but we were there the 1st 2 weeks of may which is the start of the season and was a great time to visit.

From the front desk persons, to the kitchen and waiter staff, and especially Nestis the great bartender, this hotel is tops in every way, its was like " Home" away from home , Many thanks again to all of the staff and George Georgas, owner... we will be returning for another great holiday.

At center of the city and close to every where. Service excellent. Staff with smiling face. No any other hotel interests me on my next visit just Wester Plaza Hotel. I shall recommend for my friends to stay. I am sure the best choise for them. No coplain!

Booked room for one night. Cannot stay because of the awful smell in the room. Disgusting. Complained but no help or change of room. Going to another hotel instead. Staff in restaurant is good though.

I have used the Plaza for almost 20 years a few times a year for short stays on our way to and from Symi. Always comfortable (except the bathrooms which are onlyfor the slim) and I have no great complaints about the hotel or maybe except for the smell of smoke which permeates throughout the hotel as a causal non smoking policy is implemented at the bar and nothing done about people smoking in their rooms. But prices have risen far too high! The prices do not reflect the standard of the hotel and I for one shall be staying elsewhere for less than half the price. I know that others who have houses in Symi are also sadly moving to other hotels because of the unrealistic prices. And I do mean sadly because the Plaza was like a second home but too much is too much !!!

We have actually stayed in this hotel on three occasions but just now getting around to a review. Very friendly staff and a nice atmosphere through out. Spacious rooms with good wifi. Very close to Rhodes centre, walkable within 5-10 mins. Would certainly recommend and caters for multiple types of customers

Overall, we are enjoying our stay at the BW Plaza - However, the front of house staff really do need to smile and interact with guests in a way that makes us feel welcome. Nobody likes a sad or solemn face. Smile and the world smiles with you! The general hotel staff on the other hand are excellent with a special mention of thanks to the bedroom service staff. The food was adequate and well presented although choice was limited on the half board arrangement. Breakfast was generally enjoyable even though the fried eggs had rock hard yolks after being displayed too long. However the bar area is not a good place for non-smokers as there seems little control over guests intent on damaging the health of others. Our clothing reeked of disgusting tobacco smoke residue, requiring airing on our balcony. The bedrooms are excellent and the hotel location allows easy access to the local restaurant, bars and shops. The old town is an easy 10 minute walk. Would be return? Yes of course. We would expect the hotel management to address our criticisms in a professional manner and ensure total customer satisfaction is achieved.

I was on a business trip and I stayed one night in Plazza. It is about a decent, quiet and clear hotel. It has a great breakfast including omelette/sausages/bacon/fresh bread/cheese/yogurt/marmalades/etc. The staff was polite and the rooms too spacious. I did not have the opportunity to see the pool and the other facilities, maybe another time :) The most important thing for me is its location, especially if you do not use a car, since you need approximately 10 minutes to be at the Old Town of Rhodes.

stay there for 3 days in the Plaza about once a month in the winter. Lovely comfortable clean rooms. Excellent breakfast. What really makes the Plaza a great place to stay are the fantastic staff. From reception, cleaners, dining room to bar staff, everyone is so friendly and all the staff seem to really enjoy their job which is reflected in the brilliant service they provide. Stayed in a few hotels in Rhodes town but the staff at the Plaza are the best and for that reason I would recommend the Plaza to everyone.

I stayed here in Sept 2016 on a 5 day break from my work in Turkey. It was very good, the location was excellent and it was easy to walk to the Old Town and many of the restaurants and bars locally. Staff very helpful and the two guys at the pool bar were great (sorry forget their names)...but full of good advice and happy to chat. Will definately stay again.

Superb location in city center (and also not noisy) made our staying in Rhodes very convenient. The atmosphere in the pool area was good and relaxing (except of the cold water in the pool). Our room was OK (we changed the first room because of strange smell, the second rood was OK and kind of new). The staff was helpful and nice and the breakfast was very good.

Just stayed 5 nights at Plaza. The stay at Plaza was nice with an OK but worn down room. The room had the amenities to expect plus a narrow balcony overlooking the swimming pool. Breakfast was a buffet with basic supply. Staff swift and very service minded. All in all a very nice place to stay.

This hotel is not very suited to holidaymakers who intend to stay for a week or more. It does have a pool and sun beds surrounding it, but the pool at the rear of the hotel is surrounded by high buildings so it feels like being at the bottom of a valley. When we were there at the end of October there was noise from refurbishments at adjoining property's as the holiday season finishes at the end of October in Rhodes and most tourist venues close. I would say to consider the hotel like a Premier Inn/ Travel Lodge, as there were many business men/women and Greek families who appeared to say for two or three days.There was only around 20 to 30 holidaymakers in the hotel for a week or more with only around 12 around the pool most days. We were on B & B so we could try local tavernas, but the breakfast was best described as adequate due to the hot menu consisted of bacon, fried or scrambled eggs, beans, small sausages and was the same every day. (mostly not well cooked and only warm)The bedroom was of an average size with a small fridge, tea and coffee facilities with kettle, and a flat screen TV, small safe free of charge. Adequate wardrobe and drawer storage. The housekeeping was good with bathroom towels changed every day and bed linen changed several times a week. Towels were supplied for the pool sun beds. The bathroom was small but adequate with a typical shower over the bath. We were on the top floor so the water pressure was low and on one occasion the shower stopped during use when covered in soap!!! Also the water was off for several hours on two days due to some "maintenance" which we were not advised of. Also being on the top floor our room had constant noise from some fan or pump on the roof which ran constantly. The room had a "balcony" which was just wide enough for one chair (about 18" wide!) All the staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is good for access to the harbor and old town if you enjoy wandering about and exploring all the passageways throughout the old walled town. We will be returning to Rhodes Town, but not to this hotel!

Two nights waiting for a ferry to a small island. Room very good, clean, comfortable bed, good shower, tea & coffee facilities. Breakfast buffet ok, good value and planty of choice. Didn't use the retaurant for lunch or evening dinner so cannot comment. Menu looks interesting so may have used it if not already decided on an outside tavevna.

We use the Plaza as a stop over en route from UK to Symi. This usually involves just one night with an early start to catch the ferry. Despite our stay only being for a few hours we are always made very welcome and allocated spacious rooms. Bags are taken up for us and we spend what is left of the evening in the bar. Amazing that the barman remembers what I usually drink even though a few months has elapsed between visits. For us, breakfast has to be taken at 7am and the restaurant is open with the extensive buffet ready. The reception staff will call taxis for us and look after our luggage should we have more time in Rhodes before catching onward ferries. A great staging post!

We stayed at the Best Western in early October and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Staff were friendly and attentive, rooms were large and clean with the narrowest of balconies in the 2 rooms we stayed in. Bathrooms were a reasonable size and well maintained. Close to the old town, no more than a 10 minute walk at a leisurely pace. Plenty of choice for restaurants nearby. Plenty of choice in the buffet breakfast also but quality was only average. For the money though you couldn't ask for better. Would definitely stay again.

Only 15 mins pleasant walk to the centre of the old town, the BW Plaza is in a quiet area adjacent to high end shopping, and a short drive to the airport. Bed was not the most comfortable but would stay here again for the value and convenience.

Stayed to be in town centre. This is close to everything and a good hotel. Reception staff lack hospitality as computer screens are far more important than guests. Pool bar guy is brilliant as is the general bar man. Breakfast is good. We enjoyed our stay. Would stay again. Enjoy your time here.

I was on the top floor of the hotel, normally not a problem but the lifts took ages to get to the top, my room had to be a family room originally as there was a paper thin door adjoining, I could hear the neighbors practically breathing, this was a major problem at 4 in the morning when they decided to listen to music then at 8 in the morning when they watched the simpsons on TV. When I left the reception staff never even asked how my stay was. This was a work trip so I felt like crap all the next day.

Recommendable hotel for people going to Symi or other Dodecanese islands. Of course it´s a good choice if you´re going to stay in Rhodos for a week or two. Placed near the most interesting part of Rhodos city - the old town.

Although we believe that the prices , especially during the winter time should be more competative and more flexible to those that are not for business or leisure on island. For our first time visit to this island this hotel's location made it easily walkable to all the famous sites and shopping areas as it was centrally located as well as reasonably priced. Clean accommodations and a friendly staff added to the travel experience. Breakfast buffet each morning offered an array of items freshly prepared.

We always stay here if we need an overnight on the way to or from Symi. The staff are courteous and efficient, will store luggage for you, and the ouzo in the bar or by the pool is a delight! Breakfast is a very good spread.

Have just returned from a weeks stay here and it did not disappoint, breakfast was great, room was standard and what we had expected, the swimming pool was kept clean and I must give credit to the barman and the assistant waiter who were always very friendly and happy to see us. I was pleased that there were always sun beds available throughout the day and the location was fantastic. Very glad we chose this hotel

Great hotel, pool ,staff. Amazing location for boat trips to see old city and beach. Was lots of fun but Everything was great except fot the housecleaning. The cleaner didnt take out dirty cups or empty the garbage bin in bathroom. Also strange you sit on terrace on the right and see garbage bins when you eat dinner or breakfast. They should move these bins. But overall wonderful hassle free excellent friendly staff. I would definitely go again.

we have been staying at this hotel nearly every year, but I think this will be the last time. The hotel is very dated, staff at front desk not friendly and ignore their guests, the room they first gave us was disgusting, the room was ok, but the bathroom was horrid, it was tiny, dirty, with no shower but a tap, with bars along the wall and a stool for the elderly, tiny sink with a window that looked out onto the back of the hotel which was dirty and disgusting. It was a nightmare!! We asked to be moved immediately, which they did, they moved us to to 5th floor, which was a much better room, but tired and dated, the carpet on the floor was all stained, the bathroom again, tiny, stains on the tiles, there was a bathtub with a shower which was a huge improvement, but again not very clean, with a stained bathtub. Considering what they charge for the room, you get nowhere near what you pay for, it is way overpriced for a sub par room. The breakfast was good, it was a saving grace, but I'm afraid this hotel has deteriorated with every year, yet they still charge so much a night. We will be looking for an alternative next time.

If you are looking a place close to the old town, it is ideal. But the rooms and hotel is from 90's. Breakfast is below avarage. Only for 1 night. The best part is close to Starbucks amd shopping Street.

Overall if you are looking for a place that is close to the port and the old city, this is the place for you. Be aware that there is no place to park a rental car and you may have to park far from the hotel. Access to the hotel is not great. It was a chore just to load and unload luggage and most likely you will need to block the road to do so. Everything was clean, but just very outdated. Breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. Staff was good, but didn't go out of their way to make your stay more pleasant.

I know I should tell you what i have experienced there but it can not be described but with one word EXCELLENT . I know it seems expensive but at least pay for BB and you will see how good the hotel is.....grat hotel, great people, great position, great sea and seaside...great evertything....Best regards from Mirjana and Marija from Belgrade, august 2016

4 of us stayed here for one week in August. Room 317 is large and spacious with a double balcony overlooking the harbour so great views when the cruise ships coming in. The air con was good but a little noisy however you can turn it down to a lower setting so not noisy and can sleep with it on. The shower was good with free shampoo etc and a hairdryer. The pool is great with lots of sunbeds and a nice bar with reasonable prices. Coffee is good. The hotel has a small shop which is reasonably priced. Location is fab with a short walk to the old town and harbour. All staff are helpful and friendly Definitely recommend this hotel

When we arrived we were disappointed with our room, as it overlooked a back street and had no balcony big enough to sit on (Pool View). After trying another room that was no better, we ended up paying 195 Euros for a Sea View Room with a balcony facing the Street below. This Hotel is in a great location within walking distance to the New Town and the Old Town.

Its not cheap but for the price you get a lovely buffet breakfast and the pool is a welcome relief after a long day sight seeing. Would use it again but would shop around for a better price. The location is a bonus too with easy walking to the old town, marina, shopping and transport. There is a convenience store nearby too. It is not a 5 star by any standards but a good hotel and the service was very good also.

Good location, old and dated hotel. Service is hit and miss, some are very nice, some are rude and can't be bothered. Breakfast was ok just standard. Air con was old and loud. Bathroom also old and very dated. Hotel needs a complete renovation

We booked this hotel on-line for 7 nights and we were not disappointed. Five minutes from the diving boat and day tour marina, five minutes in the opposite direction to a wide variety of shops and restaurants, and 15 stroll minutes from the Old Town, the Best Western is very well located. We found the staff very friendly and helpful, always ready to provide information on the town and the island. The lady in the tour office next door was also very helpful. Our room was quite large with lots of storage space. We had a balcony overlooking the street but traffic noise was never an issue. The hotel restaurant provides meals at all times of day and we took advantage of the pre-paid breakfast arrangement every morning. The food was broad range without being too fancy and the seating was always comfortable. The restaurant staff were top notch. The outside pool was quite large although a little cool in early June but its big advantage was the shelter it provided from the strong prevailing wind at the time. The beach on the western side of the island was suitable only for the brave. We highly recommend this hotel.

A great value for money hotel close to Mandraki Hotel and close enough to the shopping area without being affected by city centre traffic or noise. Very convenient for ferries to the islands and only a short taxi ride to the main port areas. Staff are friendly, supportive and helpful.

The hotel is close to the harbour,beach, lots of places to eat and 15 mins stroll to the amazing old town. Nice pool, sunbeds a bit crowded but we never had a problem getting one. Really good location but be aware that transfer buses cannot get to the door so you have to walk a little so may be an issue if you have mobility issues. Get a taxi not a bus!

We have stayed at this hotel four times and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent for beach, shopping, sightseeing. Restaurant excellent. Good value for what you get. Recommend highly. There are classier hotels with better rooms but they are far out of the town, with the Plaza you get the best of service with the best of locations.

This hotel has a great location if you want to explore Rhodes. We walked to the port, shopping precinct, beach and food strips all decently close to us. The staff can work on their customer service however. They do aa you ask, but attitude can go a loooooong way. The rooms are clean and tidy and the pool are is nice. It can become quite crowded so i suggest going down early of that is the plan for the day. The bar area is nice (a tad expensive however). Overall a decent stay.

Good location near the the beaches, city center and the Rhodes fortress. Excellent diner and good breakfast. Nice rooms and friendly staff. Pool is small but not crowd. Excellent location for couples.

Hotel is to good to be true but it is for me this year to expensive . I am going for vacation to Rhodes again but a little bit cheaper....I hope that anyone who goes to Rhodes and to this hotell will have a great time as I did a few years ago.....enjoy in all that is offered to you....

We stayed here as family for 2 weeks and really enjoyed the stay. Relaxed hotel, very friendly staff. Nice pool with beds, not too big but good enough to relax. Rooms are basic with good airco. Missing the indoor gym. However breakfast is very nice with lots of choice.

We have visited Rhodes as familly of four and thus chose Hotel Bestwestern Plaza, expecting to make our journey more comfortable. What we have seen and experienced there was according to our expectation. Hotel is nicely situated, in walking distance of Elly beach and old city of Rhodes. Magnificant Harbour is just 2 minutes walk from the Hotel. Hotel itself has all elements needed for enjoyment. Staff is extremly friendly, helpfull and at your disposal all the time. Meals are quite ok, but slightly less than we have seen in similar hotels in Spain ie. For instance some of the days bread and croissants were taken from previous night, which shouldn't be happening in 4 stars hotel. Room was quite in good condition. It must have been renovated year or two ago and still kept in a good condition. Cleaning is regular and good. What was a problematic in a way was that room are not that big. Again we expected a bit bigger room. For familly with two small children was a bit narrow. I imagine that for the familly with bigger children would be even less satisfactory. Swimming pool is really nice and sunny, there is even a part for small kids. At the end of the day I would rate the hotel with 4,2 grade and recommend it for the vacation on Rhodes.

Our usual accommodation when in Rhodes. The Plaza offers spacious rooms with comfortable beds and free wi/fi. A generous buffet breakfast in the morning and very good meals on offer in the restaurant for lunch and dinner. A 5 minute walk and you're in the middle of Rhodes' shopping district. Another 5 minutes and you're in Rhodes Old Town. For those who don't want to walk to the beach, the Plaza has a decent sized swimming pool. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak a variety of languages.

Just back from a week at the Plaza and had a great time. All of the staff were really friendly and couldn't be more helpfull. The public areas always spotless and the room cleaning great. The rooms are basic but clean. For the time of year pool just big enough, loungers are padded which also helps. The pool bar service was fantastic as was the dining area, I'm a little fussy but there was a variety of foods and I was able to try a few new foods as it was buffet style. The hotel bar was great and had a fantastic range of drinks and cocktails. The locaction of the hotel is amazing. It is just down the hill to the harbour and about a 10minute walk to the old town one way and 10 minutes the other way to the beach and along the road to the new town, bar street and the shop's. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back again

We went for a couple of nights stay at the beginning of our trip and found this hotel had just what we wanted - so we returned for our last few days and nights. The staff were all very helpful and everything seemed to run really smoothly. Food was good whether you were looking for breakfast ( everything from pancakes to bacon and eggs as well as the excellent greek yoghurt etc - even fresh donuts one morning); bar snacks in the evening, lunch by the pool or dinner. Great position for our needs (old town visits, ferry port, taxi to airport). Wifi and computers available... great for independent travellers used to more business than package holiday.

We return most years, and as always, George the night desk flashes that big honest smile, the breakfasts are wonderful, and the room comfy, the location could not be better. Wifi involved since two years ago but still, each year passes without a major overhaul, and it's time.

This hotel was good place to stay for a week with my friends. Good service and the people were nice and very helpful. Pool area is nice and you get tasty drinks and food at the poolbar. Margarita is absolutely the best drink. Great logations, near everything you need, food, shops and transports. To the elli beach is 1 km walk. Definitely worth a stay

My family and I stayed at this hotel for a week. The location is just perfect. I would advise anyone who wants to walk around without renting a car to stay at this hotel. To the right of the hotel it's a 2 minute walk to the port which leads you to the old city. To the left you have shopping places and can reach the beach and hotels area. Highly recommended and enjoyable stay.

Excellent hotel in all aspects of my stay. From the pool area to the bar - this hotel is worth it. Best of all, it's priced just right. I recommend it to all. The staff goes out of their way to make things right all the time. Clean, comfortable and best of all cozy and family friendly.

We stayed 2 nights at Best Western Plaza. It has a great location, very close to the beach, old city and ferry port. There is a variety of cafes and restaurants nearby. Rooms are spacious, clean and bright. Breakfast is pretty good. Highly recommended.

We visit the Plaza regularly on our way to and from Symi when ferries don't allow us to make the trip in one day. It's always the same, welcoming staff, spotlessly clean, hearty and good value breakfasts. Nothing fancy but reliable and friendly.

Had a brilliant holiday in Rhodes. The hotel is perfectly situated for short walks into the Old Town and down to the harbour. The New Town should not be overlooked and this is also on the doorstep. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Bathrooms a little on the small side but perfectly adequate. Really good pool area with great snack bar menu. Great breakfast that caters for every taste. Worth trying the evening buffet as really good value for money. Staff are brilliant. Special mention for Terry who runs a superb bar area, George who manages the restaurant and went out of his way to ensure everything was ok and his staff Feteini and Agapitos who looked after us so well. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Good service and nice comfortable hotel in Rhodes center. Everything (beach, shops...etc.) are nearby and hotel have all facilities what needed for business travel. This suits also for vacation base hotel if you are not interested to stay in big holiday resorts.

Loved this hotel, as close to everything you need. The rooms were cleaned daily, breakfast choice was good and plenty to suit everyone, pool was on the small side but only 10 minute walk for lovely beach and 10 minute walk from Rhodes old town, which we loved. So many places around to eat. Hotel bar was good and Terry very pleasant,. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be close to everything.

we were staying in Rhodes for three nights and decided to book this hotel and was definitely not disappointed. From the moment we booked in, late in the evening, the staff could not have been nicer. The location is perfect for the harbour and the buzz of the town. The hotel is spotlessly clean. We stayed bed and breakfast. Food was excellent, a huge choice of delicious things to start your day. We had lunch at the bar on one occasion and it was very good. The hotel was a lovely pool with a bar. There are a lot of sun loungers, the only thing I could find fault in is that they are positioned very closely together. The main hotel bar is very relaxing and comfortable with seating by the pavement but undercover. On the evenings we were there the barman, Terry, was an absolutely great guy. You don't have to pay for the safety safe in your room....a wee added bonus. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

This was the fourth time my daughter and I have stayed at this hotel. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and we always feel very comfortable here. The staff are very friendly, helpful and polite. There are no sea views and you can't walk straight onto the beach but for us the position is perfect. It is within a 5-10 minute stroll to the beach, the Old Town, the new town with it's designer shops and the harbour area. There are also lots of restaurants and little shops in the streets around the hotel. The pool area is very clean and usually quiet with sun beds always available. The rooms are spacious and well furnished with air-con and a safe. Whenever we holiday in Rhodes Town we will stay here and look forward to returning.

I've been many time to this hotel. Good location, rooms are clean and breakfast ( variety) . Not far away from a beach and all restaurants, Caffè place. Reception is very helpful as well. Worth to visit. Highly recommended. We will come back soon.

This location is perfect if you like to wonder in the harbour. Close the old town as well as the new town. Great atmosphere at the bar thanks to the bartender who seems to love his job! Fair prices! More than enough choice both at breakfast and dinner. I am going back!

I stayed here for one night to do some sightseeing in Rhodes Town and catch the early catamaran to Symi the next day. Overall, it was a pleasant stay - the location, in particular, was very convenient. The room was a little dated in appearance, but it was clean and comfortable. The selection for breakfast was very good in the morning, with continental and cooked options. My only negative point is that the member of staff on reception was a little unfriendly, and unhelpful in answering my questions when checking in.

A great location in Rhodes town. Easy walk to old town and historic sites. Large rooms, with lots of storage, including a safe locked using the room key card. Bathroom shower was excellent. Restaurant and bar service all very good.

I went to Rhodes for just 4 nights with my cousin and I didn't know what to expect as I had only booked it 2 days before we were to fly out. However by the end of the holiday I was so happy with my mini break. Therefore I suggest to anyone who are not sure where to go this year for the holiday Rhodes is a must. There is soo much to see and do daytime, evening and night. First of all because of the last minute booking with teletext I did not get a chance to throughly check out the hotel or it location which I'm sure most people like to do. When we landed in Rhodes we had booked a shared transfer but luckily for us the best western was a 20 minute ride or maybe 30 (sorry I can't remember that much but I know it wasn't so long but at least the views were amazing as we were travelling along the coast. So when we finally got dropped off we weren't dropped off in front of our hotel because it was situated on a small road but it was only a two min walk on a straight road. The outside the hotel could be deceiving but once you enter its a very charming hotel with people at the reception ready to help and speak good English. I've never Brent k fussy with my hotel room as I feel like I need a place to sleep shower and eat therefore I felt that the rooms were more than adequate for my needs. We were also given welcome drinks once we refreshed ourselves and meet the barman Terry who made the hotel that extra bit special. He always had a smile, always had something to say and very helpful. I think he may be the reason why the bar of the hotel is alway busy in the evenings. The hotel is probably one of the best located in the area. If you turn right from the entrance of the hotel it will lead you to harbour, the old city, the new city, and the beach. If you turn left for the restaurant you will asleep eventually see a beach and there clubs on that side. In regards to a restaurant there are too many all have similar menus that mainly include Greek specialities, pizza and pasta. The restaurants outside the old city are less expensive and the average dish price should be around €10-12 if not fish. The harbour is close and gives tourist a chance to visit our the places in Rhodes such as faliraki, lindos and Anthony Quinn bay. You may want to visit at least Lindos but all the places mentioned have a sandy beach apart from rodos the city centre where the hotel is situated All in all I'm very happy with the holiday and even though I never visit the same place twice I think I would make an exception I would definitely stay at the same hotel.

We spent 10 nights here. The location is quiet and just a few minutes walk to the famous old port. Rhodes old town is 10 minutes leisurely walk along the marina. There are numerous restaurants in the old town(tip you can find the best by avoiding the main thoroughfares with hustlers) Also near the restaurant -100 metres away is a street full of restaurants. For this reason we did not eat in the hotel in the evenings. There are literally hundreds of restaurants to choose from and the best are listed in trip advisor. Breakfast in the hotel is buffet style and has an abundance of possibilities. Staff are very polite and speak English. Special thanks at breakfast time to Fortuniti always smiling and clearly loves her job. By UK standards the hotel is excellent value for money

The Great Western and Plaza hotel is situated in a relatively quiet road in Rhodes in an ideal position for the tourist. It is within a 5-10 minute walk from the sea marina, the castle and old town. Moreover, it is surrounded by a plethora of restaurants serving the local delicacies. We stayed at the hotel for a week in May. Our room was sufficiently spacious and effectively air conditioned; we had access to a small balcony that could take a chair and a small table. A fridge was available which, however, contained only fizzy drinks and water; nothing alcoholic. No coffee/tea facilities were available. A modern television could access many channels in most European languages. The bathroom was very small and ill designed; putting cold water on your face in the morning was a major challenge. Minimum toiletries were available and essentials, such as a shower cap, were missing. No safety mat was available so that having a shower in the slippery bath is worrying, particularly for the elderly. The restaurant was large so that a table was always available at breakfast, even at the busy times. A modest selection of both cold and hot food items of adequate quality were available; it was obvious that many items were ‘reformed' from powders rather than fresh. On some days the so-called ‘fresh juices' were so dilute that it was not possible to identify the fruit! The staff were courteous and friendly. Checking in and out was very rapid and simple. The hotel was maintained at a high level of cleanness. It should be emphasised that the hotel is inexpensive thus constituting very good value for money, and it is particularly recommended to the low budget traveller.

Stayed with my adult son for 4 nights. Superb service ,staff helpful and informative Plaza is close to town ,the old town , the harbour and beach agreat location Breakfast will set you up for the day We stayed on half board basis, unfortunately they will not let you use the allowance at lunch. We only ate once in the evening, a very good buffet , plus small selection of dishes to order . All good Both rooms were a good size and overlooking the pool .....quieter than the road side. Pool area is small but ideal in May, not sure what it would be like in the height of the season, beds are very close together, and due to the hotel being in the town you have to change beds to get the sun.....not a problem in May . Very good pool bar as is the hotel bar .....friendly staff who spoke excellent english Will stay again, hoping to go back in May next year

The hotel is in perfect place in the town close to sea front area. Close to old city shops and restaurants ideal place to see all of Rhodes town. The room that l had was on the second floor ,wifi was good. Breakfast was very good staff were pleasant and helpful

There is an old adage that says you get what you pay for.... Well the Plaza gives you more than you would expect for the price... There are countless five star hotels in Rhodes that charge twice as much but aren't twice as good, the Plaza is perfectly located, has a great pool area, breakfast is excellent value for money and the rooms whilst dated are clean and well presented.. We found the staff all very friendly and accommodating without exception and all our needs were attended to with a smile and enthusiasm... I think the only way you could fault this hotel is if your expectations are unrealistic or you were hoping for champagne on a beer budget... I am happy to recommend it!

I just returned from an 8 day stay in Rhodes. In provirus years we stayed outside the city (Ixia), and now wanted a different kind of vacation. I found the Best Western hotel and as I had great experience with this chain decided to give it a try - it was a wonderful stay for anyone looking for a city holiday. The hotel location is perfect. Walking distance from the old town, and city center. All the amenities are very close by (super market across the street, coffee shops and restaurants all around, hair salon 5 min away and etc). The room was very specious, beds were comfortable and cleaning staff did a good job (just a bit strange they never once washed our coffee glass). The only thing was that the porch was a bit small, and I noticed this is not the case with the majority of other rooms in the hotel. Also, before season starts they don't let the air-condition be on cool, and we were a bit hot in the room in some of the days. This is something I already encountered in Rhodes in different hotels, but still cannot fully understand it. The hotel itself is also very nice, great bar team and great food from it. Breakfast buffet was basic, but nice. I understand that when the season opens officially they also have someone preparing choice omelette- I really wish we had that. Great pool and all very clean. I have no doubt I'll return here for my next visit.

I agree with all the positive reviews. A very good choice for me. The location was great - 5 minute walk to the beach and waterfront, old town nearby, supermarkets a minute away, restaurants and bars on the door step. The hotel facilities were great - pool was nice, WiFi was very good, room with balcony was great, breakfast was a very varied offering and really nice, staff were pleasant. A real plus for me was that when I stayed there weren't many kids at this hotel. I was on the 5th floor overlooking the street side with sea views and didn't experience any noise that affected any sleep quality. Very good value - booked via booking.com several months in advance for £42 per night. I got a taxi on arrival from the airport for 25 Euros. On departure I asked about a taxi at reception and they quoted 29 Euros. I walked down the street and got a taxi for 25 back to the airport. So itbwas only a 4 Euros difference but it was the principle for me. Overall really excellent value and location - a very nice and comfortable stay and if returning I would certainly stay again

We was in hotel plaza for 4 nights from April 17th until April 12th the stay way high quality the stuff was kind generous. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and full with fresh food. The bartender was kind and made nice drinks.

The room was clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was fine and the staff helpful.All in all, it was exactly what it said it was and good value for money. Location is great if you want to spend time in the old town - just a short walk away. And lots of bars and restaurants near the hotel.

I always come to this hotel during the off season for business. Rooms are very neat and clean and prices are very reasonable. Staff is helpful and kind, breakfast selection is ample and restaurant quality is good.

We are customers for years in Plaza hotel. The location is perfect. In less than 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. 10 minutes to the old town and the Mandraki harbour. 20 minutes from the airport. Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff. The main bar with bartender Terry is the best bar in all of the town! Nice pool with a perfect poolbar. Very good food in the restaurant and bar. After visiting many different hotels in Rhodes the Plaza hotel is by far the best one!

Good location (450 m to the airport bus main station and 650 m to the Old Town), good food (breakfasts and dinner buffet), good price, large rooms (with kettle if you ask for it, TV with many international channels, and balcony). They have 3 computers to use free at the 1st floor. There is free public parking at 300 m.

Stayed here on business for a week, the hotel was great, bedroom was very clean, breakfast was great. Was not great if you have a car as parking is hard. BUT, what really made this hotel was Terry behind the hotel bar, he would go out of his way each night to make sure you are happy. A real credit to the hotel and look forward to seeing him again as really made out stay. Many thanks Terry.

stayed for a few days. breakfast was decent and will keep you from going hungry untill lunch time. the coffee was good which is exceptional for hotels. rooms are spacious and well lit. since this was my second visit, i knew to ask for a room facing the pool and not the street. pay attention that the rooms facing the streets are loud and there is transport running all through the night. no double glasses so the noise will go in. i ended up having a room close to the alivator. there is noise coming from the outside even though no transport noise was present. also, there was noise comming from the alivator and in comming guests. the bed was called queen size, which meant it was made out of two single beds. no connecting matress was found in order to really making it into one bed. since the mattresses were so old and used it was very uncomfotable to sleep on them, especially with separation between the tow matresses. the solution found was to move to a room with one bed which eventually was more comfortable. all was done with great grace and understanding on behalf of the hotel's team. it was a good experience. the hotel is close to the beach. less than 5 minutes walk would get you to one of rhodes beautyful beach lines. a nice supermarket is also at a short walking distance. location is excelent. enjoy

Excellent hotel. Breakfast very good. Room very good and clean Staff where excellent and very helpful and full of good advice about the area Couldn't fault our stay there at all As it was our winter holiday break we expected it to be quiet but the hotel was quite busy. The bar was reasonably priced and so where the meals in the evening We will definitely be back to stay there again and it's just around the corner from our friends so that was a bonus

The location is excellent (great for exploring medieval Rhodos), the room comfortable, and the breakfast was very good with considerable variety to choose from. parking is a challenge, although with patience you can find parking on the street close to the hotel. Otherwise it's about two blocks West to the public parking lot. The sole drawback to this facility was the lack of courtesy and friendliness of the staff. The benefits definitely outweigh the drawbacks especially if you want to explore the old town.

This is a self described 4 star hotel but in a three night stay it certainly pushed the upper limits of that rating. The staff were uniformly excellent and friendly, the room we had overlooking a very appealing pool area was first rate, room safe, wifi, air conditioning all at hand in a spacious area with a good bathroom. There was a bar near the lobby, and restaurant, along with a poolside bar that served a reduced but appetising range of food. Buffet breakfast was first rate. We ate out at night in several different nearby locations - there is plenty of choice within easy walking distance - but did not find anywhere out of the box (perhaps our fault of course), so maybe dining at the hotel, at least once, might have been a smart move. All in all, a very good hotel perfectly situated in the old town.

We stayed overnight on 5th Jan, for my 70th birthday. All the staff were great and extremely helpful. We were going to walk to a restaurant nearby for our evening meal, but as it was such a cold and wet night decided to stay and eat in the hotel restaurant. What a great decision that was. The food was really good, and the waiter brought us some cake to celebrate my birthday. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anybody who wants a good hotel near the centre of town. We had lovely views of the sea, with Turkey clearly in the distance. We are seriously thinking of going back there for our wedding anniversary in February. We live on Rhodes.

We only stayed here for one night on 5th January 2016.Right from arrival @ Receiption we knew our stay would be amazing. Our room 402 was spaceous with an very large double bed, & a nice view towards Mandraki church & harbour.All the staff were so friendly & delightful.When the bar staff & restaurant waiter knew it was my wifes 70th birthday they brought us cakes.At only € 6 how could I not use the sauna.Our evening meal was good. However I would liked to have seen more Greek food on the menue.The buffet breakfast had a large selection of hot & cold food. Plus fruits,yougurt. biscuits & cakes.Off course tea, coffee & juices with toast & jams.

As a member of a Ramblers Holidays' trip to Rhodes we spent 11 nights over Christmas and New Year at the hotel and I cannot really fault it. The location is ideal to explore the Town and harbour on foot and within five minutes there is access to tavernas and a friendly supermarket. The hotel staff made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfasts were hearty and the buffet dinners had variety and always included traditional island recipes. The two special occasions, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve were well organised with live music and this added a touch of class by the hotel.

The Best Western Plaza is an ideal hotel for anyone visiting Rhodes town. Near Mandraki harbour and lots of good restaurants this hotel is ideally suited to everyone wanting to explore Rhoes new town or the old town. Very comfortable clean rooms, delicious food in the restaurant with excellent breakfast choice. From booking in at reception to having a drink at the bar this hotel offers excellent service to its guests. Have stayed many times as we live in Rhodes and book in for an overnight stay quite often. The staff are so friendly and really make your stay enjoyable. Have tried other similar hotels but they all for short in staff service. The Plaza staff are outstanding and I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Simply the best.

We stay there for 5 nights and the place was lovely. The breakfast was very generous and very nice with a lot of variety. The location is very central so we could easily walk to the beach and the old town. I could not find any faults with the hotel...

Rooms are very clean..Beds are really comfortable. Personnel is friendly and helpful. Breakfast has a great variety and it's fresh. Free Wifi with a good reception. In the centre of Rhodes, the restaurants cafés, supermarket and shops are nearby. We will be back for sure.

In the center of the city, you can easily explore the city on walk. Nice and quiet place. Clean hotel accesible to wheelchair users (just check your measurements of wheelchair cause elevetars are not big enough).

I have been to many luxurious 5 star hotels around the world, but I have never met such friendly and helpful people ever! This hotel helps donate food and things to the refugees at the camp in the island. The staff go out of their way to help you with anything and even if u just wanna talk. The room was cozy and comfortable and quiet. The shower always had hot water and the water pressure was good. During breakfast little birds would come in and I would feed them so that was very pleasant. The breakfast was not bad but sufficient. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the house keeping would sometimes leave only one towel but if I asked for more then would gladly send some to the room. Overall a great experience and the staff felt more like friends and family.

Ideally placed near the beach, shops and medieval town it provides excellent accommodation and facilities at a good room rate. This was our third stay here and we were not disappointed. A great base for a really relaxing holiday.

I've stayed at the Plaza several times now and would definitely stay again. It provides a quiet, clean, comfortable and reliable stay in Rhodes new town. It's in a very convenient location with decent facilities and excellent staff, all of whom remember guests from one stay to the next.

Rather than trudging round the Old Town again, we decided to have a chill out day. We had breakfast which was fabulous, and a lazy day by the pool, facilities were excellent, the staff helpful and polite, it was heaven

Reception excellent. Balcony room very nice. Pool open from 9am. Lift to all floors. Easy walking to harbour for boat trips and for shopping. Breakfast very good. A la carte menu excellent and wines reasonably priced. Staff are all lovely. Recommend. Plan to be back 2016.

Nice rooms in a central hotel with exstremely Nice staff. Reception, bar, poolbar and restaurant - everyone are doing their best to make your stay perfect. They are friendly, Funny and helpfull and serviceminded. The restaurant have great prices for good food and the happy hour at the bar is worth trying. And it is close to all eccential in Rhodes town

Have stayed here on numerous occasions. For the price and the fact that is has a pool where many hotels around the area do not this place is great. A nice simple bar and good food served downstairs is handy but the town offers so much more we really only spent time sleeping and soaking up the sun!

Power would time out after 2:30 regardless of key card. Was not able to charge phone. Otherwise hotel feels like it's in the90's and the carpet was uneven. No really sure what to say now but apparently I have to write 200 words. Seams a lot 200 words bit much really. O wait the power to the fridge is still on... that quite handy. So all in all typical Best Western

I love this hotel. It has all the amenities you could want and the staff is friendly, courteous and very helpful. Close walking distance to the beach and to the old part of the city. Neighborhood fool of shops and restaurants. Clean and well kept, with a lovely pool and sun deck. The breakfast is outstanding. A good value and top notch hotel.

It was a good place. Next to the city, good staff and also a clean hotel. The breakfast was perfect. If you have a car you will not have a problem with the parking because you also have the public parking close. Value for money!

Hi people, we got here on the 1st of October for a relaxing holiday in a 4* hotel.. I wish. At first, we got a twin bedroom 'sea view' (room 522) so I went back to the reception where the gentle lady tried to fix my problem changing my room..(we are a couple, and we would have liked one bed...) so we moved to room 426, I onfloor behind, but it just got worse worse. The beg was a single king size, and instead of a sea view(that I paid an extra 120€ for it)

We booked very last minute for an overnight visit to Rhodes town. Chose this hotel because of the location and great price. Receptionists who greeted us on the evening of the 9th October were more interested in their administration tasks than concentrating on checking us in. The hotel overall was clean and everything was as you would expect for the price we paid. I was surprised at the amount of Greek, German and Russian TV chanels considering the overall guest profile. It would have been good to have a few good English speaking chanels available rather than just the news and Macadonia TV. Breakfast was very good and check out this morning swift and efficient. We will definately return on future visits.

We always use this hotel as a "pit stop" on our way to/from Symi and know that we will get a warm welcome, a decent room and a good breakfast at a very reasonable price. Public rooms (bar, lounge,dining etc.) are clean and welcoming and, although a little "tired" the rooms are fine for a short stay. The buffet breakfast, taken in a pleasant dining area with some outdoor seating, is very good value for money with a good choice of hot and cold food. Do avoid the juice though - cheap and nasty! Didn't use the pool but it looked clean and there are sun loungers available together with comfortable chairs and tables around the pool. Snacks and drinks are available in a shaded area beside the pool. The bar, both inside and out, is clean and comfortable with good, reasonably priced drinks and very pleasant bar staff. Our room this time (415) was clean with a large bed, crisp clean linens and all the usual amenities with plenty of wardrobe/drawer space should you need it. There was a small mini bar containing water and soft drinks which is operated on a trust system. Didn't try the TV but liked the large LED alarm clock on the dressing table which could be easily seen from the bed. WIFI in the room and throughout the hotel was excellent.The balcony overlooking the pool was tiny (just wide enough to fit a chair at each end) but adequate for our needs. The bathroom was clean and functional but showing signs of wear and tear. Pool towels are provided in addition to usual bathroom towels. The hotel is in an excellent position just a short walk from the New Market, the Old Town and Mandraki harbour. There is a small travel agency next door where you can purchase ferry tickets etc. and a small mini-market opposite the entrance for basic supplies. In conclusion - a good stop over or base for a few nights whilst exploring Rhodes town.

I couldn't have been more happy that we chose to stay at the Plaza Best Western in Rhodes. The location was PERFECTION. 3 minute walk from the beach, 3 minute walk from the old city, and right in front of the hotel was an adorable pedestrian area filled with delicious restaurants and tourist shops. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The breakfast every morning was delicious, with a chef making custom crepes and omelettes, there was free wifi in every room and a computer station on the first floor of the hotel. The staff was so warm and welcoming, the rooms were spotless, and I wouldn't hesitate to return one day. It really is in the perfect location if you want to experience all that Rhodes has to offer. It is central yet very quiet and the pool area is great as well! You get the best bang for your buck here!

Arrived early from Symi for a one night stopover in Rhodes Town. We arrived at about 0830 not expecting to get a room (we had reserved one in advance) at that time of day rather, expecting to leave our bags in concierge. We were immediately given our room for the whole day and night which meant we could freshen up before hitting Socrates street and the old town! The service was fantastic at reception and at breakfast which we paid for separately having got up on Symi at 0530hrs. Breakfast price is a fantastically silly price of Euros 6 per head!!! The rooms are spacious and air conditioned with all the usual amenities plus mini bar.

We stayed here the first and last night of our holiday. Room was fairly large with everything you want. I think it is ideal for a one night stay. Negative was the breakfast. The so called orange juice was awful, yogurt not much better. Service good but food quality poor with cheap ingredients. Pool area looked nice but not used. Taxi fare from airport to hotel 25 euro, hotel to ferry port 8 euros.
