« M/C Group returns for Street Vibes »

The hotel is older, partially rennovated, and spread out on the property. The staff provides some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. The breakfasts are outstanding. The bar is laid-back and the bartenders make excellent drinks for really good prices.

« THEY WILL HELP MAKE YOUR STAY PLEASANT! »

I must admit this has to be my 3rd or 4th stay at this hotel over the years. It's a great location, especially across the road from the airport. This particular stay was in waiting for my new apartment to be ready for move in. My first day of check in, I wanted to stay on the first floor but was put on the 3rd floor at the suggestion of the desk person because of a wedding that would make the first floor noisy. Well, not only was the third floor room next to the elevator, it turned out to be directly above the wedding (on the 2nd floor) complete with a live band! By 10:30p I was livid and called down to find out how much longer. By 11p it hadn't ended, but the front desk staff were more than helpful in giving me an upgraded room far from the wedding events on the first floor. They helped gather my things and I was resettled in a very nice, quiet room. The housekeeping staff at great and friendly. It was nice having access to a washer and dryer as well. One thing I don't normally do is complain, I suffer it out and vow never to go back. This time I said something and they helped and I'm satisfied.

    « Lousy room »

Shower didn't work . Room smelled awful. Had to pay $5 for two cups of coffee which I ended up throwing away . Coffee wasn't strong and was stale . Left without taking a shower and had to stop at a Starbucks to buy a cup of coffee

    « Western - Yes, Best - Not Hardly »

My wife and I checked out of the Best Western Airport Plaza Hotel in Reno, NV this morning after a one night stay and found it to be of poor quality for the following reasons: - telephone that did not work - smoke detector beeping throughout the night - shower faucet so stiff I thought it did not work - housekeeping knocking on the door and entering without waiting long enough to determine if it was OK to enter - toilet that did not flush properly AND.... the worst of all NO hot water to take a shower. Most surprising there wasn't a hotel manager available on?site just a very polite woman at the front desk that indicated she was sorry and nothing more. I sent the manager that was supposed to be arriving at the hotel later in the day an e-mail message but have not received a response. I stayed here based on other recent Best Western hotel experiences which were superior experiences when compared to Best Western hotels in the past but this one does not match in the least, this facility is of the quality that I had seen in the past. This was not worth what I paid for the room!!! Based on this experience I will need to think twice before booking a Best Western Hotel or you might want to use your old logo on the old and tired hotels and your new logo for the hotels that have been updated.

« Very good and convenient »

We stayed here for our flights, inbound and outbound on a recent visit. It was walking-distance close to the airport but we used the shuttle to and from, quick and easy. The hotel has the design of a 1960's meeting and convention property with large open well furnished lobby and landscaped outdoor patio. It has a full service restaurant and lounge/sports bar which met our needs. The hotel is very well maintained with new/clean carpet and fresh paint in the hallways and rooms. We were pleased with our room both visits as it was large, clean, comfortable and quiet. Convenient for us, our car rental agency was just across the street. We booked the very well priced room & rental car through the airline when we made our flight reservations. We'd stay here again under similar circumstances.

    « Vacation »

Hotel was good and the employees were great. Had a problem with the shower being hard to turn on or off. They do not offer a free breakfast but rather a discount for the attached resturant. We did not like the prices so we went elsware for breakfast. Overall the stay was pleasant and quite being by the airport.

    « Nice, comfortable property »

We are regulars at the Airport BW here in Reno. We always enjoy our stay. We are a little disappointed in that this site does not offer the usual BW breakfast. Instead, they offer a 25% off coupon for the onsite restaurant.

    « Bring earplugs »

One should expect some noise when I'm in a hotel is directly across the street from the airport. We didn't hear any airplanes. However, it sounded very much like howitzers and mortars were exploding much of the night. The ballroom had been rented out for a very, very raucous party with an incredibly powerful base thumping sound (cavemen might call it music) machine. We could hear it on the far end of the hotel through the ventilation shaft. Nice front desk staff, though it took a bit of a wait in line to meet them. One clerk, seven people in line ahead of me, several more behind. The beds were fine. Good pillows, too. The room was clean. The wifi was abysmally slow. No breakfast provided. Very convenient for flights.

« Much nicer than expected »

Only stayed for 2 nights at the last leg of my honeymoon, I was pleasantly surprised by the elegance of the hotel and the fast tempo it operates on. Quick and friendly service. Room service was pretty good, t.v. was a good size. Plenty of outlets and a nice desk. Morgan from the Plaza court restaurant was very friendly and helpful as an employee and as someone to talk to to find out local gems. Thanks Morgan! I enjoyed my stay here.

    « Great Best Western »

We have traveled quite a lot the past 7 weeks and have often stayed in a Best Western. This one was the least expensive and the best of them all. Rooms are quiet, beds great and showers wonderful. Even though they don't serve a free breakfast, they provide a 25% off coupon to their restaurant which has excellent food and service.

    5
    « Excellent stay »

Highly recommend this hotel. Clean room, unusually pleasant, professional, friendly check-in receptionist. great location. Room was very clean, didn't have that usual motel oder. Great design with ample room to spread out. Would definitely stay there again

    4
    « exceeded expectations »

This is a nice hotel. It was much larger than I expected. Staff very helpful and accommodating. The room was very large and clean with mini frig and microwave. Bed comfortable and curtains really blocked out the light making it easy to sleep in! Definitely will stay here again next time in need to stop over in Reno.

    5
« People and pet friendly »

We stayed one night. Location is right across the street from the Reno airport. Heard no airport noise. Room clean and comfortable. Pet friendly hotel but must ask for a pet friendly room. Business center on site. Restaurant on site. Coffee café on site. Check in is at 4 PM some websites say 2 PM. Hotel staff was very accommodating and got us in before 4 o'clock. There is a shuttle to the Reno airport. Very happy with stay and would stay again!!

    « Very good »

This is a great place, although this last time we had no hot water for a shower and it fell on deaf ears at check out time! He acted like we were just telling him a story. There was also another person complaining of no hot water during their stay as well! Would liked to have been compensated some how! The pillows are to hard also!

« Out of the way »

Nice looking hotel - away from anything other than the airport. Terrible front desk staff that did not appear to know what is happening or how to handle people. First they could not find my reservation made the day before on the 800 number for BW. Had to sign into wifi to get the confirmation number - but that did not help as they said they do not have it. Even when I showed them the e-mail confirmation. Then she (Emma) hemmed and hawed finally admitting they had lots of rooms and there would be no problem. She gave us a room away from everything. Told us the elevator at that end was not working so we would have to take the one next to the desk and walk around in a big circle. She forgot to mention that there were some stairs up and down where the corridor went over a delivery entrance. At this point we were schlepping luggage. After getting to our room (not bad - nice size) we decided to walk down some nearby stairs. Guess what was next to those stairs 3 doors down from our room - yep a working elevator. Down to main and we walked past another elevator 10 doors down with a notice it wasn't working. Didn't the front desk staff know where their working elevators were? Emma was too busy thinking about her quitting time and the coming evening I guess. The room was big but the shower was near impossible to deal with. To start it, I thought I would break the handle to turn it on. It was so stiff that it took both of us to pull out the lever as per the instructions we got when we phoned down to ask how to start it up. And I travel at least 20 times a year using all kinds of shower levers. Then the restaurant - no free breakfast at this BW - only a 25% discount on breakfast. The waitress took our order and some time later slapped down our order asking if we wanted coffee. First time we have had to wait close to 20 minutes for our first coffee. There were only about a dozen patrons at the time. Last time to Reno.

« Friendly staff but just an average hotel »

The A/C in my room was weird, it only turned on for a half hour or so and then just turned off. It did not continue to run through out the night so it got pretty stuffy in the room. Other than that it was just an average hotel stay.

    4
    « Extremely pet friendly »

Very knowledgeable and friendly at check-in. Got the needed driving directions, as this was a busy location, with quickness and clarity. My dog loved his bed in the room and I loved the outside access for dog walking. We, my dog and I, loved the large sized room as well. A good place to stay in the busy Reno area.

    2
    « Terrible Service »

The hotel appeared in excellent condition. It had a nice appearance both inside and outside. The Service at this hotel was the worst ever. The front desk attendant was on her phone and did not give us eye contact until we interrupted and said " we would like to check in". She never once smiled or said hello. The restaurant was short staffed, all the tables were dirty, we sat down and after about 20 minutes of getting no service, we decided to leave.

    4
« Soft bed and complicated air conditioning. »

Overall very good clean room, service and staff were good. No breakfast offered. Bed was too soft and offered no support, resulting in a sore back in the morning. The room key must be placed and left in a slot in the wall to get the lights and A/C to work. Controls for A/C are complicated with insufficient instructions. Once figured out you still have to find a hidden switch at the opposite end of the room to get the A/C to work. No reference to this switch in the instructions. This was just annoying.

« Best Western Airport Plaza Is A Great Place To Stay »

We stay at the Best Western Airport Plaza when we go to Reno because the rooms are spotless! The staff is friendly and helpful. The restraint is great and upon check-in, you receive coupons for discounts on your meals. They also have pet friendly rooms so you can bring your dog, cat, bird! The hotel is in a great location, right next to the freeway for easy shot across town. The only negative thing is sometimes the freeway is a little noisy. Thanks Best Western for the great hospitality!

    3
    « Needs a serious cosmetic renovation »

Best Western properties are generally reliable, and this one is no different. It was secure, the staff was helpful and welcoming, they had dining options, a coffee stand, and even a bar. However, the property itself could use a little more attention. I am guessing that the last time the property went through a thorough renovation was awhile ago, mostly because there was a lot of wear and tear to the baseboards in my room, and the AC made a sound like plastic wrap on the busted-out window of a 1972 Pinto. It was incredibly noisy, and irregularly so. At times it seemed to get better, but then it would start in even louder. The room itself was designed in such an odd way that it should have come equipped with a nightlight. The bathroom counter jutted out into the room without a wall, and would have been easy to walk into in the dark and could cause significant bruising, should one run into it. Breakfast (most of the time) at Best Westerns is complimentary, but this one was not. They gave me vouchers at the desk for a discounted price for breakfast. I did not look at the menu, nor did I eat at the restaurant, so I cannot review the food itself. The hotel is for conventions and is a large, rambling property. The elevators are slow. All the external doors are opened with key cards, except for the main entrance, which complicates matters, but does provide additional security overnight. With a little facelift, and perhaps some more perks for staying there (like free breakfast), I'd probably stay there again and take advantage of the pool, which is in a courtyard in the center of the hotel. Also, it *is* convenient to the airport, which is right across the street. If you don't mind some cosmetic problems (or noisy AC) then this is a solid property at which to stay.

« Very Nice Place to Stay »

On a recent road trip, we stayed at the Best Western. It is a very clean hotel with a lot of amenities. The room was large, the bed was comfortable for sleeping and other activities. Our room had a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. The shower bath was nice and roomie, but the water temperature was not stable when other guest were using the water at the same time. We used the pool, sauna, and jacuzzi, which were all nice. We had breakfast in the restaurant in the lobby and the food was good. This hotel is close to the airport and a great place to stay if you want to get away from the casinos.

    2
« Convenient for airport is the only plus »

We thought we would stay with Best Western so we would have the "free breakfast" in the morning after a long exhausting day. They charged slightly more than what we would have paid if we stayed at one of the casinos, but we were thinking free breakfast. Note to travelers this Best Western does not have a free breakfast. Instead they off a 25% off voucher at the restaurant. We didn't bother to try it out, we didn't have time to order a breakfast and see if it was any good since it wasn't "free." The hotel is large and is right across the street from the airport, the lobby is very nice and modern. The room was very dated with a strange heating/AC unit that we never totally figured out. They also had the awkward square pillows on the bed instead of normal standard ones - they look cute, but aren't functional. The person checking us in was a little too quirky for my tastes and didn't appear to be very well trained or knowledgeable about their job. The hotels in Reno seem to be getting very expensive, but there are better, more up-to-date choices than this one.

    4
« Nice Place, Convenient to Airport »

Stayed here primarily because of it's proximity to the airport and enjoyed our stay. It feels like an older property, but is very well maintained. We enjoyed the pool, and the courtyard area around the pool is pleasant and very attractive.

    4
    « Accommodating and classy »

This is an older hotel that is dated, but very unique. The desk clerk was quick to get us checked in, and after parking close to an entrance, we proceeded to our room on the third floor by way of one of the several elevators to choose from. The room was clean, but dated. We had dinner in the dining area on the main floor. There is a beautiful courtyard in the middle of the complex you need to explore, and you can eat your meal there if you like. We had two issues. First of all, the toilet ran loudly until you fixed the inside part in the tank after every flush. Secondly, they forgot to tell us how to keep the AC on. We thought you just had to set the wall unit and it would stay. It does, but only for about an hour. You have to use a key or something to make it constant through the night. They apologized at the desk for running out of the handout that would have let us know about this. (It's really rather complex.) Other than being too warm all night, the bed was comfortable enough and the room was clean. Check out was also easy. We paid 109.99 with an additional $14.30 for tax and a $2.00 charge for using a VISA. (What was that about?)

    5
    « Comfortable »

We've been going to the Nugget Rib Cook Off for 6 years and the last 3 years we have stayed at this hotel. Very nice hotel. Restaurant and Bar/Lounge on the property. Convenient. Friendly staff. Clean establishment. They offer shuttle to and from the festival.

    2
    « not happy »

if you like a hot and cold shower, all at once this is your place, and a not very happy motel crew, not very caring, very dark parking lot, next the airport. the room was nice, the paint was looking a little worn.

    3
    « Flying Out? »

Staff and resturant help average. Typical of tourist town employees. Long term airport parking? Better options. Just do your home work. $9.00 per day but shuttle bus back is erratic. Can also walk back. Rooms clean and neat and resturant has good menu but again staff average. Noticed 1 car booted in long term parking.

    3
    « Good hotel but... »

Good hotel, staff was nice, stayed in room 324, bad location for us because the maid breakroom was right next door and they were very loud and nosey while we were still sleeping at 8am, im talking yelling from the breakroom to another staff member down the hall. The restaurant was ok but I will never eat there again, to me it was the worst food that I have ever eaten.

  • 5
    « Rib Fest »

We've stayed at this hotel previously on trips to Mexico and Central America. The hotel is great but Reno is difficult to fly non-stop to desirable locations for us. That forces us to fly out of SFO. We would much rather fly out of Reno and stay at this Best Western which is close to the airport, comfortable and has a great staff.

    3
    « Airport motels »

Best Western is consistently a good value for the money in the US market. It does not compare, however, to the European or Latin American hotels for a higher price. Locations are usually by an airport, which can be convenient, if one is connecting a flight but does not offer any cultural interchange.

    5
« Good location and great value »

This was our first stop on our recent trip to Oregon...we were staying here to hook up with some friends that live in the area and this place is a typical Best Western. The staff was great and the room was clean and comfortable. The price was very reasonable and we'd stay here again when in the area. Even though it's right across from the airport, we never even heard planes coming or going so this wasn't an issue.

    4
« Meets Best Western standards »

Hotel is across the street from the airport; did not hear any airplane noise. The other side of the hotel is across the street from the freeway; did hear some minor freeway noise. Breakfast is not included, which is unusual for a BestWestern

    4
« All good but the pillows »

I stay at this BW frequently and the parking, proximity to the airport, and the front desk staff can't be rivaled. However, the pillows are my downfall. When I can't bring one because I am not leaving a car, I had been able to check out a "flat" pillow from the front desk, but the last 2 times, they were the regular pillows in special covering. For those of you who understand, pillows on the night before a long day of traveling can be a deal breaker.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

This hotel is great. The room was large, clean and quiet despite the airport location. The beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was understaffed which caused the service to be very slow, but the food was very good. The airport was just across the street, so there was no concern about making your flight on time. Definitely will stay at this hotel the next time I'm in Reno.

    4
« Save BOTH your room keys! »

Because this is one of the FEW places that uses the room key to keep the A/C from shutting off every 30 min.( I wish I was told this at check in, or a label put on the card slip beside the room's door). When the A/C shut down the first few times I assumed it was motion sensor based. (WRONG)! OTHERWISE, This is a great hotel. It is directly across the road from the airport terminal, has a coffee shop, restaurant, and lounge in the lobby a great pool, courtyard, and a great staff This property has nearly the same amenities and price of the local casinos, without the lines for check in or meals. Should your nap takes you past the kitchen's closing time a 24 hr casino is about 1 mi away.

    5
« Close to airport retreat »

This facility is so nice, large, and well kept with a beautiful lobby and outdoor area to relax by the pool or just sit in the shade of a tree before we caught our flight out. The food was great and very reasonable and the staff was friendly and helpful. I was also impressed with the price and size of our room in comparison to other local places! Great overall value.

    4
« Great staff, comfy lobby, ehhhh rooms. »

If you have to sit around in a hotel lobby to wait for a room, this is the lobby for you. Large, comfy chairs that I fell asleep in, with large tvs and plenty of outlets. We were too early to check so it wasn't a problem of the hotel. The front desk staff member was exceptionally personable and professional. The rooms were clean, but very dreary and in massive need of an upgrade. The shuttle service was very handy and as the hotel is right across the street from the airport.

    4
    « Near the airport »

One of the handiest hotels near the airport, right across the street. Rooms are clean, but decor is a little dated. If you need to park a car that is available. Restaurant (food good) and bar ( pours a good drink) on property. Has all the amenities needed. I use this often when I'm headed out for a trip. Close to casinos.

  • 5
« Convenient Location - Great Customer Service »

I have never stayed at this Best Western Plus before, but I'm glad I did this trip. The front desk staff was amazing! Very helpful and professional. My room was great! I had a two room suite with a fireplace. Being summer, and high temperatures, I didn't use the fireplace. The room was very spacious, which is what I prefer when staying four nights. The housekeeping staff was very thorough. I appreciate all the employees at this hotel. Because of them, I will return.

    5
« The Best Best Western Hotel »

Great people; great amenities; great prices; great location!!! I have been coming to this property for over six years, and would not consider staying anywhere else while in Reno. this is a property that is consistently professional, courteous, clean, and convenient. Very well run operation.

    5
    « Stay »

Very nice hotel to stay at. Although they don't offer a complimentary breakfast they do have a restaurant on-site and will offer a discount for dinner and breakfast when you check-in. I would definitely stay here again. Great rate for what you get. Only offer Pepsi products so if you like Coke make sure you bring your own.

    4
    « Hotel experience »

Nice clean quite hotel with clean rooms and has a good restaurant. The staff were courteous and helpful when we needed help. The hotel is conveniently close to the airport and has a shuttle van if you need some one to take you to and from the airport.

    5
    « Excellent Jewel - Beautiful Gardens »

This hotel is located adjacent to the airport with a walkway leading to the front door. Large lobby, restaurant, bar, and coffee counter, as well as a beautiful manicured garden with swimming pool and trees and benches. Very surprised at how nice this property was when we walked in. Loved that they had 24 hour shuttle to downtown as we were not then confined to the airport area.

    4
    « SQUEAKY CLEAN »

Located directly across the street from the airport. Both the room and pool were sparkling clean. I don't normally stay at 2-3 star hotels but this place was every bit the standard of a 4 star. That evening I was playing it safe and ate a Plaza burger in the restaurant WOW! Bacon cheeseburger was superb. A great place to stay..,

    4
« if you want to be CLOSE to the airport AND save money, this is it. »

very clean and cozy. a large grounds that's hidden from the street. it's a typical best western which means warm clean and price is right. AND you can actually walk across the street, through the parking garage and into the airport. how nice!

    2
    « Unhappy with price »

For business the hotel was average. For this weekend, three big hotels host a car show. When hosting a show there are several band that come in and play for the crowds. For this they raise their rates to help pay the extra expenses. So in turn you get what you pay for. This hotel raised their price but offered no services.

    5
« Great Place for Pets (and their humans) »

Great water pressure in shower and comfortable bed. Room was spacious and the extras for the dog (dog bed, treats, nice outdoor area) were much appreciated by all of us. We will definitely stay here again.

    4
    « Very helpful staff »

We were driving through and didn't realize we were in town during a big convention until we started calling around and all the available hotel rooms were really expensive. Jennifer at the front desk of this Best Western was extremely helpful: she gave us a great deal, upgraded us for free, and had lots of helpful advice about where to visit and how the AC worked and so on. Because of the convention we were advised to use the shuttle service into town and back ($5 round trip) which worked out very conveniently. The hotel is near the airport and I-80 but we weren't disturbed by noise from either one. The AC was a bit loud but it kept our room very comfortable.

  • 5
    « Nice Place »

Since I had a plane to catch early in the morning, this was the ideal place to stay for the night. The room was nice, the staff was helpful, and the overall experience was enjoyable. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

    4
« Still enjoyed my stay! »

The Best Western at the airport in Reno Nevada Found the room on Expedia The price was $109.00 which sounded great to me, as I own a beach hotel in Mexico. Going to check in was nice, as I got a employee with a sign stating a employee in training which meant no perks for any reason. I tell her I have a dog which I couldn't find a place to enter that on the Expedia page. She tells me there is a $20.00 fee per day for the dog which I understand. Now my room is $139.00 a night. Next she asks if I have a car.... Yup I sure do, as most travelers do. She tells me there is a $10.00 a night fee for you to park your car in the parking lot of the hotel you are paying for. Now my room is $149.00 a night. Not so quickly, as she hands me the bill each night has a different price. Thursday check in is $109.00 which turns out to be $149.00 Friday is $129.00 which turns out to be $159.00 Saturday is $139.00 which turns out to be $169.00 Also remember we haven't added taxes as of yet. I was blown away and asked the desk manager about it and instead of trying to make me feel ok about it the manager just kind of brushed it off as "that's what our prices are" like I just need to accept it. He then says he doesn't understand why Expedia doesn't explain it on the web site. A little frustrated because my bargain three days are no longer a bargain. Original price I thought would have been $327.00 Price now because of new fees - about a hundred more than I expected. Now the fun begins.... Headed to the room laid down on the bed which was awesome. Turned on the TV, but the remote doesn't work. Called the desk and soon a knock on the door.... The new remote was half as bad... The TV had a mind of its own. It would either turn the channel on it's own or give us a black screen. Instead of running up anymore complaints we decided to just let it go. Went to turn on the air conditioning and it was real loud. We were right across from the airport and the air sounded just like a plane going over. There is an island in the bathroom that sticks out into the entry of the room that is really out of place. Reno was about 105 the first day, so I asked where the ice was and it was at the very end of the long long hallway (kind of like in the movie the shining) I have a knee that is troubled with a large wrap on it. I trecked down and found the ice machine and to my surprise it was empty. I asked a maid where another machine was and it was at the other end of the other hall. Got to the other machine and it was also empty. Got back to the room (exhausted) called the hotel desk and the same hotel desk manager (I could tell by his voice) tells me "oh it must be the construction workers". Tells me go to the second floor " right above the empty ones. "I'm sure there is probably ice up there" There was! Coffee the next morning was great... Brought my own metal Starbucks cup for coffee and was charged $2.00 for my coffee. Came back for a refill and was charged $1.00 with a great smile. The next morning the different clerk charges me $2.48 for my coffee and my refill was $2.48 At the restaurant for breakfast I ordered an omelette called the works.... Many many vegetables and bacon, ham and sausage and when it came it was cheese and eggs and a couple of mini pieces of ham and not to much more. It was good but not what I was paying for. The next morning I ordered the same thing and mentioned the empty omelette and it came as it said on the menu. It was real good! Now back to the room... Some male maids start to open my door after one half a knock about three hours after the maid came in the morning. Had no idea why they wanted in (very questionable) The entry to the room was blasted with the smell of marijuana from the male maids. Kind of blown away, but maybe it was medicinal. On Saturday evening we came back to the room and the two rooms on the sides of our room there was a connecting door. Which was not soundproof by any means. I could hear most of the conversations and then the fun started. On one side at about 9:30pm a group of visitors showed up and they seemed to be all sitting on the other side of the door which opens to our room. To say they were loud would be an understatement, as they were very, very loud (my wife slept right through) but I'm a light sleeper) until 2:30 in the morning. I was pissed and because there seemed to be about 5 men an a few women I did not want to call the desk in fear of retaliation. At one point I got up at about 2:00pm and was going to knock on their door, but something told me it could be dangerous. I decided to go back to bed and turned off the main light and it wouldn't turn off. I tried over and over. Finally I had to get a towel and unscrew four bulbs to go to bed. At this point I was wide awake and waited about a half hour till the folks next door went to their own rooms. I will never and I mean never stay in a room with doors to adjoining rooms. On the good side the hotel is clean and the courtyard and pool area really very nice with trees and grass. The pool area only had a few folks at most times. The employees are real personable. I would stay here again, but after what I went through I would make a few small requests. I own a small boutique hotel in Mexico and know how much it takes to keep it all together.

« Excellent Service, Good Food »

Front desk staff is excellent, Crosswinds Lounge Restaurant wait staff is very good. Strongly recommend the Reuben sandwich. Room Service menu is limited and expensive. Several channels on the TV service (TBS, TNT) have unreliable signals.

    « Relax and Enjoy »

Very nice Motel near Reno Airport. Nice accommodations with friendly staff. Very handy restaurant and Bar. Scenic courtyard with Pool and eating area. Main lobby is outstanding and spacious. Many arrangements of couches, easy chairs and tables to visit with friends and/or watch TV.

« Much to be desired »

I don't understand the other reviews that give this hotel such high ratings. The smell in the hallway and non-smoking rooms is stifling. I get a headache just walking from one of my rooms to the other. One of the rooms has a strange counter outcropping that I'm afraid one of us will walk directly into during the night. The only way I can imagine this getting a 4 out of 5 on this website is that the average hotel in Reno is not very good. Positie: Check-in attendant was helpful and very nice.

    « Travel Stop »

Okay, I admit it right off the bat that I have an affinity for Best Westerns. I have traveled quite a bit over the years and have found them to be the most consists in the quality of service provided. This place is no exception. For having a location close to the airport the facility is quiet. Even during the night this place is quiet, quiet to the point that we thought we were the only people in the building. The rooms are comfortable and clean. This is a place to stay if you are passing through Reno.

    « Don't get a room near the pool »

Came to this hotel because in Casino's you can't get fresh air and can't open the windows. Staying next to the pool in room 289 was terrible for us. Pillows horrible, toilet made noise when flushed-high pitched, no screen on windows and could not get fresh air because the lights of the pool at night were blinding. Air in room was terrible and could not use air conditioner because of noise it made.

    « Convenient and Comfortable »

The BW Airport Plaza is located just across the street from the Reno, NV airport and could not be easier to travel to or from for any traveler. The main lobby is spacious, comfortable and easy to maneuver for any guest. A lounge, restaurant, and outdoor area for drinks or socializing are just a few steps from the main desk. The rooms are clean and the amenities are what you would expect for a higher level hotel but at a much better daily rate than most. I was absolutely satisfied with the hotel except for a couple of minor glitches that involved my security card and the TV programming. I will definitely try to stay here on my future trips to Reno where we used to live for nearly 20 years.

    « Welcome respite »

After a lengthy road trip it was a treat to settle in to a clean room with up to date amenities. Location was great, accessible to the Riverwalk and local businesses. Very dog friendly...spoiled with a giant bed, bones, and clean up bags.

« Clean, easy to find and get to... »

This is a great place to get on and off the freeway, be in a clean, well-lighted place, and then move on. The breakfast is discounted at the restaurant and was good. The internet was reliable, and the staff was fast at check-in. I am making the trip a couple of times this summer, and I've already booked this hotel again for my stop-overs.

    « Good food,nice room,dog friendly »

This is a very big motel but it has designated rooms for pets ours had a nice comfy dog bed to go with the clean comfortable people bed and convenient access to a dog walking area. Unfortunately there are still people who think they don't need to pick up after their dogs even thou bags (as well as biscuits) were provided in the room. The in house restaurant has a decent menu. my food was actually quite good but the service was nonexistent. Maybe they were short staffed but one bus girl looking like a deer in headlights was left to cover the whole room and couldn't handle it. Prices very reasonable though. I'd stay again though

    « Quick Overnight Trip »

This review is for the room only. We did not eat in the restaurant or use any of the other amenities. We went to a concert at the Grand Sierra Resort and needed a clean place to stay overnight. GSR wanted almost $200 for a basic room. That was a big "no thank you." We've stayed at Best Western's all over the country. We've come to expect certain things from BW's. This one did not disappoint! The check-in was easy and Jenny was friendly and professional. The room was clean, although it did feel stuffy upon arrival. Turned on the a/c and took care of that problem. Bed and pillows were comfortable and we did not hear any noise from the nearby highway. There were small children running up and down the hallway in the morning, but that's parents not parenting, not the hotel's fault. If I ever need a just an overnight in Reno, I will definitely look up Best Western Airport Plaza Hotel.

« Great quiet dog friendly hotel »

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The price was good. It is very quiet evening even being across the road from the airport. It is the most dog friendly hotel in which we have stayed, complete with dog bed, and a doggie good bag with 2 large dog cookies and poop bags. We travel through Reno at least once a year and this is where we will stay.

    « Pleasant Surprise »

This is one of the best hotel experiences we have had since our retirement last year. Great food and service and a beautiful courtyard. There shuttle service made everything so easy for us. We definitely will stop here every chance we get!.

    « Pleasantly surprised! »

I worked at the airport across the street from this hotel for years and parked by this hotel for years and walked by this hotel daily. I never once thought it was anything special. Just didn't look all that great. When it came time to move across the country my family and I stayed here and I was very pleasantly surprised. The interior is very clean and welcoming, the lobby is beautiful, the hallways look new, the color choices are calming, and the rooms have nice wood furniture. The bed is very comfortable. The view out the window of our room was very relaxing and tranquil, with mature trees surrounding the pool in the middle and grass everywhere accented with lamps that light that pathways at night. I think this Best Western is the nicest one I've ever stayed in. The hotel is constructed around the pool and trees. It literally looks more like a resort rather than a regular hotel. If you want this tranquil resort looking view from your hotel room, try not to book a room on the parking lot side, because all you'll see is a view of the parking lot; which in that case then the hotel would be pretty lame. If this hotel served the complimentary breakfast in the mornings this would EASILY get a #5 rating.....easily!!! Way to go Best Western this hotel is niiiiiiiiiice!! :-) I may need to come back!

« MET OUR NEEDS PERFECTLY »

We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary while on a business trip. I first thought we'd splurge on a fancy room at one of the casinos, but we would be traveling with our dogs, so that sort of limited us... plus, I just have a hard time handing over $300-$500 for a bed and a shower. So I looked for "dog-friendly hotels" in Reno and found this Best Western. It worked out perfectly - convenient to everything we wanted to see and do. We were able to park directly outside our room so we could keep an eye on our truck/camper, where our big dog sleeps (and the parking spot was shaded most of the day). Our room was coincidentally right next to the outside exit, so we could easily take the two dogs from the room outside, get Big Dog Kate out of the camper, and walk the three of them around to the doggie area. The room was neat and clean, spacious, and nicely appointed with refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, TV, AND a large doggie bed with its own blanket. (But we travel with our dogs' "cozies," so they didn't use the proferred bed.) It was very hot during our stay, and the AC cooled the room quite well. (Only complaint: the knobs and buttons had all been removed from the control panel, for some strange reason. The unit cycled on and off according to some thermostat we couldn't see or control; there was a wall-mounted "kill switch" so you could turn the entire unit on or off, but... no "cooler/warmer" control, and no fan control. It was what it was. In our case, what it was was fine.) King-size bed was comfortable. There were ample pillows (four) on the bed, plus an extra over the clothes rack. There was a hair dryer and a full-sized ironing board and iron, which we didn't need, but it's nice that it's available. The water pressure was outstanding. I thought the airport noise might be a problem, but we never heard a single plane. Our room was fairly close to the highway and from outside, there was quite a bit of road noise, but you couldn't hear it inside. Didn't hear much noise from the interior hallways, either, or the adjoining room - for all we know it was empty. Our limited contact with staff was friendly and accommodating (had to request late checkout ? no problem). Didn't have time to explore the pool, or to eat at the restaurant (partly why I chose this hotel - I thought we would take advantage of it). Oh well; next time. We will definitely be back. All in all, a most pleasant experience.

« Good place to stay before an early morning flight »

This is a large hotel. Service at the desk is super friendly, and efficient. They have a pretty courtyard with a pool. Large office room to print your boarding passes They also have a bar open all day and a restaurant that serves dinner. You can turn your car in at the airport the night before.and take the shuttle to the airport at 4 am. The room was large and had a re fridge and microwave. they put a pack and play in my daughters room for her baby to sleep in. The air conditioner worked but was very loud and hard to regulate from the wall We opted to open the window instead Beds were comfy , room was clean. I have a problem with the bright light on the microwave and also the wall light switch that keep me awake- had to cover them We ate at the restaurant- service and food were both very good.

    « Nice quiet stay »

We arrived in late at the airport and needed a place to stay for one night. I called up the BW 800 number and booked the night very quickly while picking up our luggage. The hotel is located very conveniently right outside the exit from the parking lot. Check-in was easy and we were given a quiet room on a higher floor as requested. Since it was about 1:00 in the morning, we were exhausted and the clerk was helpful. We didn't get to experience many amenities except the internet, TV and the fridge in the room.

    « Good »

I appreciate your hospitality. Rooms are very neat & clean. Surrounding is nice. Lobby is specious. Restaurant service is very nice. please provide complimentary breakfast like other Best Westen hotels .

« High Quality; excellent restaurant »

We have stayed in many BW hotels over the past few years and this one is quite 'fancy' as BW hotels go. A grand lobby, a bar and a restaurant on site. Despite that the price of a standard room with a AAA discount was still only $89 which was a nice surprise. The room had all the amenities including fridge and micro and flat screen TV. Because there is a full service restaurant on site they do not offer the usual free breakfast but they do give you a 25% off coupon which is very helpful, plus a coupon for a free drink with dinner. We ate both dinner and breakfast and all food was delicious and reasonably priced. Note: be aware there are elevators at two sides of the lobby going to different ends of the hotel. We were not directed to the elevators that were closest to our room so on our floor we did have to walk past over 80 rooms (with our luggage) to get to the other end of the very large hotel. Other than that the staff was great, the hotel clean and elegant, and we enjoyed our stay.

    « Best Western quality »

We stopped here pretty late in the evening and they got us right into a room. Clean and updated. Outdoor pool-but we didn't use as it was already too late. Staff was very accommodating and helpful-super friendly and we were given an excellent rate!

    « great in winter »

with great employees to make your stay pleasant, the hotel room in summer is too hot to use unless someone has turned on the a/c a looong time before you turn the doorknob. location across from the airport a big plus, and the restaurante is good.

« Different than other BW »

Staff, room, and cleanliness are excellent. No breakfast except in restaurant with a % off menu. The lounge is definitely for a young crowd with serious hearing losses or soon will have such. The 3 to 5 happy hour skips those that worked all day or were in meetings. Building and hallways iminate and rattle with sounds all night with the comings and goings of people. Noise did not bother me, but the more sensitive person will lose sleep. I would definitely stay here again as the positives are better than the negatives.

    3
« Clean but old fashioned »

The rooms are nice and clean. If you are coming on vacation it would be a very good hotel. If you're here on business then this hotel is a drawback. Even though the Internet works good you have to struggle to find somewhere to plug in your laptop and phone. Most hotel now days have multiple plugs and USB plug-ins for the phones. Also their business center is not well equipped. That being said it is a very nice hotel considering it's location.

« Fathers day weekend with my son »

They have a nice small pool table, we ended up playing pool in the lobby. The staff was nice and let us play for awhile , until we got tired, The staff Jo and Isabel , are just fantastic, we got hungry and they fed us so well. I am so happy to have met them. They made the stay so nice. The only down side was the rooms wallpaper coming off in spots, just old and needs a fresh up!

    4
« A great place for a road trip break. »

The room was clean, cool, and had really good mattresses. The fridge and microwave were quite handy. The desk staff was great, and very efficient. Fairly quiet, with little interstate or airplane noise. The restaurant had pretty good food as well.

    4
« Very decent for the price »

I needed a hotel near the airport and fortunately this fit the bill, it's both affordable and of good quality. Staff was nice and helpful. Some smaller negatives: 1. Pillows are overstuffed, I slept on a bundle of sweaters instead of them. 2. Taps work very hard and there is no sign to encourage you to PULL them forcefully. 3. There were 2 desks in the room, and I probably chose the wrong one: my cell and laptop, plugged in overnight, remained uncharged.

    5
    « Very nice hotel »

This hotel is next to the airport and convenient to freeways. We were in Reno just overnight. This was a good option. The bed was very comfortable and the wi-fi was great. Restaurant was mediocre for dinner, good for breakfast. I was disappointed the pool was not heated.

    4
    « Good Airport Location »

This hotel is directly across the street from the Airport and they provide shuttle service on demand. The lady at the front desk during check in was most friendly and provided top notch service. They had free wi-fi in the room. Room was nice except the faucet handle in the sink needed to be cleaned. We ate twice in the restaurant located in the lobby. Dinner was not very good. There were not many customers in the place and the service was very slow. We had London Broil and it was very chewy. Breakfast was better and the price was reasonable. I would return to this Best Western location.

We will only stay at Best Western - Love it. Clean outside and inside. Nice rooms - very comfortable beds and nice décor. Nice to have refrigerator and microwave. Great pool and spa. Friendly and professional staff.

« Quiet, Clean and Comfortable »

Staff was welcoming upon check-in, I had a nice room for my overnight stay. The location is perfect, right across from the airport, easy access to the freeway, and only 1.5 miles from downtown Reno. The complimentary wi-fi was rock solid, I was able to upload large images within a few seconds, without issue. Will be back when my travels bring up north.

« Piping hot food good - hotel room not so good! »

After a wonderful ladies long weekend in Lake Tahoe, we spent our last night at the Best Western Airport Plaza Hotel before flying out very early the following morning. Very pleasant hotel, Stephanie at the front desk was delightful. When we reached our room, it was sssoooo hot - contacted the front desk - they told us where the switch was on the thermostat to turn it on. While waiting we went down to the lobby and spent some time there while waiting for our furnace to begin to cool. Sorry, the room (302) never cooled. Since we had to be at the airport by 4AM, didn't make another call to the front desk. While checking out we mentioned that perhaps they should have maintenance look at it - she said "you should have called the front desk", we said we did. The manage happened to come over, she told him we didn't enjoy our evening since our room was very hot. He said "you should have called the front desk" - after explaining we had, joking mentioned he could feel free to adjust our bill, since we were going even earlier to the airport because it would be cooler. He wasn't very pleasant - said they took care of the rooms 24/7 - all good - but - the AC should have worked. I did mention, it was great in this day and age - we could review the hotel and service. Nice hotel if the AC works.

    « Great Stay »

Highly recommend. Staff very helpful and facilities were great. They even provided transportation to and from downtown Reno where I had business meetings. Restaurant had good food at a reasonable price.

    2
    « Outdated, musty room »

Smelled of stale smoke and musty. Flatscreen TV didn't work. Hot/Cold on sink was reversed. Windows opened no more than two inches, so fresh air was impossible. Airplanes commence landing at nearby airport at 6am. Bed was comfy, adequate supply of towels.

    5
    « Comfortable - Great Location »

I came to Reno for a 3 day weekend. To see a concert and recuperate after completing a large project. I walked to the hotel from the airport - (5 minutes). Very friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is clean and quiet.

« Rating the restaurant only »

Needed a quick lunch before dropping our passenger off at the airport. Saw this facility across the street from the airport entrance and pulled in at about 1pm. Had sandwiches and salads which were quite good. Serving sizes were hearty but not overwhelming. Prices were reasonable and service was friendly. We were the only ones there at the time. Facility was clean. Since we have to return to reclaim our family member next week we will stay at the hotel for the night. Staff at the hotel front desk were friendly and helpful with booking a room. Will post a complete review of that experience later.

    « A Blessing »

We have been traveling internationally and domestically for just over a month. Tonight is our last stop waiting for an early morning flight before returning home to Hawaii. This seems like an oasis in the high desert! Very clean, comfortable, friendly, and only two minutes from the airport. Perfect! !

« A nice pet friendly place to stay close to the airport »

I was in town helping my daughter move cross county when we discovered her personal accomidations for the night were not available. I had booked a room at another hotel closer to her home but now needed two beds and a room that was dog friendly. After a quick search I chose the Best Western. I've stayed at several Best Westerns in the past and for the most part been very pleased. This location was no exception. The room was clean and comfortable. They had a dog bed and treats for her dog in the room when we arrived. The price was very resonable. I was concerned about noise from the airport which is right across the street but you would never know it was there... Overall, a great experience.

    4
« Great for early airport departure »

We always stay here if we have an early departure from the airport. It is comfortable and very convenient. The staff makes you feel welcome. You can leave your car here while you are gone, for a nominal fee. The restaurant and lounge are nice and have tasty food.

  • 4
« Nice time, so so facilities. »

The hotel staff was very nice and willing to help us plan our site seeing. The lounge was nice but we ordered pizza and it took over 45 minutes to prepare and was no better than the frozen. We wanted to swim after a long day of site seeing, It had been opened all weekend but when we went to use it the pool was closed without any notice. So we went to the hot tub which had all kinds of floating things in it. The sauna was no hotter than my laundry room. But the rooms were nice.

    2
    « Smelly, uncomfortable beds »

We stayed at the Airport Plaza Best Western on 5/30/16. The rooms smelled stale and musty, the air conditioners were off in the rooms and hallways, making the rooms very warm and stuffy. The pillows were oversized and hard, making the beds extremely uncomfortable. We will NOT stay at this hotel again, nor would we recommend it to anyone who likes to sleep!

    5
    « Airport Location »

We did not even know we were at the Airport. The staff was excellent, accommodating, and friendly to our families. The owners, however, need to HEAR their staff, when relaying concerns or requests of their guests....Other than a game 6 Basketball (Lobby TV) issue, the stay was great for our 4 basketball teams.....

    5
    « great staff! »

The front desk staff handled everything with efficiency and a smile. They were helpful for information about other things in the area, places to eat, things to do. The hotel was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Getting to the airport couldn't have been easier.

    4
    « Good hotel. »

The rooms are great, the lounge is a good perk. The layout of the hotel is a bit confusing. I had contact with a number of guests during my stay and many voiced the same concern. It is difficult to understand where the room locations are and what is in each hallway.

    4
« Stayed before, will stay again »

Not our first visit here, as you may devine from my reviews in the past. But yes - we like the place very much, it meets our needs and we will be back! Very fast pick-up from nearby airport is just great, friendly drivers. Location is excellent for transit flyers like us, needing a good nights rest after long haul. No noise issues from planes. The Courtyard is very relaxing by the pool, greenery abounds. One can actually chillax! But this is not a place for youngsters who want latest things - whilst WIFI is AOK, the AIRCO units/controls are aging and decor may not suit all. But, BUT - beds are excellent and that is what counts most, surely? To sleep well?!? Breakfast is always a treat for us as I love steak'n'eggs and this place understands how to cook that. Orange juice is fresh, as good as Florida. Coffee hot and strong too, only thing missing was strawberry jam for toast.

    5
« Good value for money and convenience »

I stay at the Reno Best Western frequently due to its proximity to the airport. It's convenient location allows me to rest after a long flight or get a good night's sleep prior to an "o-dark-thirty" morning flight.

    5
« Great value and great location - very clean »

I stayed here recently with family while visiting a relative in Reno. The hotel is ideally located, easy to find, and has free parking. The front desk staff was very helpful at checkin - Savannah was very polite and efficient at getting the paperwork done. THe hotel graciously allowed us to have a late checkout. Would definitely stay there again, and would recommend it. If you don't want to be in a smoke-filled casino, stay here!

    5
    « Staffing »

The staff made you feel welcome! They were very efficient and friendly. The bed was cozy to sleep on. Even though you are by the Interstate you don't hear the noise of traffic. The Reno airport is within walking distance and was not noticeable for being loud. This was a nice stay. We are glad that we chose this Best Western Airport Plaza Hotel in Reno.

    4
« If you like plane spotting then stay here! »

The initial impression is very good. I was a bit surprised that breakfast is charged for as most hotels I book have it included in the price. However, that is were this hotel did well, price. A reasonable cost for the night and slight discount at the restaurant / bar. Cannot comment on how these are as their menu was not to my preference. Parking is monitored so they give you a slip to put on the dashboard. Just make sure you remember to put it back when you get back from a meal elsewhere. No sign of other restaurants within walking distance. But if you are into planes then you are a short distance from Reno airport. Despite being so close there is no problem sleeping. I will be staying here next time I am in Reno.

« Honor Flight Nevada, Participant »

I have stayed at this hotel other times and found it to be quite nice. This time I had to be at the airport at 0430. So I did not have much time to enjoy the amenities. The restaurant is very good and quiet. We have often eaten there even with out staying overnight.

    4
« Good value, quiet. Restaurant quality greatly improved over the years. »

Two things bother me about this hotel: Biggest complaint is they advertise an exercise center. Part way through my stay the exercise "center" was shut down. The "center" consisted of 1 treadmill, 2 stationary bikes, and a universal gym. Explanation was that they were not a BW Plus, so were not required to provide an exercise center. They are probably not required to offer flat screen TV or internet service either, but the traveler today expects these services. Other issue is there seems to be a lot of dogs in the halls.

    4
« Great deal for the price. »

The hotel and amenaties was very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Parking was close to my room. This hotel is not within walking distance from either the airport or downtown area but it is only a few minutes of driving to either of them, which was exactly what I was looking for.

    5
« Amazingly good for an airport hotel! »

We initially chose this hotel strictly for its location (just across from the airport). What a surprise. GREAT mattresses, GREAT full order breakfasts (25% off you ticket with a coupon given to you at check-in). Clean rooms. TOTALLY quiet rooms. Lovely courtyard. Helpful and friendly staff. We could not have asked for more! The only negative was that the vending machines were low on items.

    « Very nice »

Visited for one night for work and was quite impressed with the accommodations customer service and grounds. The interior veranda and pool are great for a family allowing for watching kids in a safe enclosure. Was a little tentative given the proximity to the airport but there was no airport noise at all. Beds are firm, linens are clean and rooms are well appointed. Food is served from a restaurant adjoining the spacious lobby. The staff is excellent, the food is good, the coffee is hot - the prices however make you wonder if you're next door in the airport. Overall a very good experience.

    4
« Across from the airport »

Nice hotel across the street from the airport. Convenient when you have any early flight when flying East which is the only reason I have stayed there because I live 1 hour from the Reno-Tahoe airport.

    « Poor »

This Hotel is dated and did not have a working pool or hot tub. The refrigerator started getting cold when we were checking out. The staff could be a little more polished. The staff at the restaurant was amazing and the shuttle van employees were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The van could use some revamping. The pic's online are photo shopped because when we showed up the property looked nothing like the online photo's. Very disappointed. Rooms smelled like mold.

« Near airport but still a very nice place to stay »

Very helpful staff that takes attentive care of its customers. We stayed 3 nights at the hotel as we attended three different events for Reno Beer Week. Rate was very good and Tess, the lounge bartender was very caring and solicitous.

    « hotel rating »

this is a great hotel. rates are fair and its very dog friendly. well run hotel overall. I highly recommend it. good location near airport. staff is helpful and friendly. I have stayed there many times. there is no breakfast included with the room but the restaurant serves a great breakfast and the hotel provides a 25 percent discount for guests who eat there.

« Pay for coffee, not acceptable »

poor experience, would not return to this hotel. Had to pay for regular coffee, bathroom door and tub spout broken beyond what was acceptable. Location was good, check in was okay, restaurant not great, overall experience between 1 and 5 I would give this a 2

    « convenient and relaxing »

We had driven here for several hours to meet relatives who were coming in on a morning flight and wanted a quiet comfortable place for the night. We chose the hotel for its proximity to the airport and its accessibility to our route. The hotel avoids the noisy crowds that can be found in the big casino hotels. You can hear some noise from the airport, but the rooms are pretty quiet and well soundproofed from the outside noise. This is a good place to stay if you are looking for a convenient and restful stay. If you're looking for excitement, you'd probably be better off staying in the middle of town.

    5
    « Very Classy »

The place was very beautiful and full of class. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and the bar's decor was very interesting and fun to look at. Even though it was near the airport it was very quiet.

« This place is cleaned up, and the resaurant is now very good »

This is an older place, very large, and hard to keep nice. They have done it though, and it is now the best value in terms of travelers who need to use the airport. The restaurant was a surprise, very good, and should be getting even local traffic. It's not, though, so travelers will have it mostly to themselves

    « Very Impressed »

Had a reservation at the Peppermill & decided last minute to stay here. I was very impressed with the WHOLE experience. I stayed here 2 nights at the price of 1 night at the Peppermill!!! I would stay here again. Easy access to everywhere we needed to go.

    « Good Stay »

Overall the hotel served the purpose for my business trip. The rooms were clean, but the bed was uncomfortable. There were some issues with the toilet & AC unit the first night, but was fixed the next day. Restaurant & lounge was nice. This hotel is right across from the Airport, but I noticed little to no airplane noise.

    « Locked out »

This was my first time to spend the night in Reno Nevada. I had shuttle service from the airport and was assigned a room on the third floor. The room was very clean very nice and had a king size bed. I used room service to bring dinner to me since it was a long walk back down to the restaurant and I was very tired. As I set the dish in the hall the door close behind me. I had no other choice but to walk down to reception and get another car key to let myself back in the room. Everyone was very pleasant and very helpful.

« Great greeting by checkin. »

I use Best Western for most business trips. Alway sufficient. This particular night I was checked in by a marvelous lady named Debbie. Also the breakfast of Eggs Benedict had the most Hollandaise sauce. I ordered 3 to make sure. I am glad I stayed here.

« Not up to Standard »

We stopped to find a hotel for the night in Reno and found the best Western rated fairly well and took pets. They had a room available for $80.99 so I called central reservations to make a booking and confirm the pet policy. The agent said there were rooms available and I could have one for $189. I say that I am looking at their site right now and there is a room for $80.99 and several for slightly more. She finally gave in and decided my price was available and made my reservation but spelled my last name wrong and switched it with my first name. We were at the hotel in five minutes to check in and found the agent did not include my pet requirement in the reservation. Luckily they had an acceptable room available (the front desk staff was very nice). The room was fine except all the 10 pillows were the same and all were too big and hard to sleep on. Also the HVAC was noisy. Add to this no free breakfast or coffee and I recommend passing on this property. Personally, I usually pass on Best Western all together and based on my experience here I will stick to that policy.

« Awesome place to stay and feel safe! »

I recently stayed at this hotel and was very pleased with their customer assistance, all of their employees were very nice and willing to help you out with any questions or concerns. Rooms were very clean and the convenience was unbeatable wither it were for food or airport. I strongly advise this hotel and will be sure to stay again. Keep it up Best Western! Two very good employees I can remember were Jenny and Savanna, very sweet and helping young ladies.

    « Airport convenience »

I picked the Best Western because of reasonable price, convenient proximity to airport, convenient proximity to conference/meeting and that they had a pool and hot tub. Staff was very friendly and helpful: let me into my room early, great suggestions for attractions and shuttle service info. Restaurant had good food and vouchers from hotel was nice. Clean rooms, very nice lobby and court yard. No working pool or hot tub. Fitness room in disrepair. Staff did not remove room service tray when they cleaned, started to smell. No WiFi connection in room. Would stay again if these non working facilities and wifi were disclosed ahead of time. Does anyone have cotton sheets anymore, hard to sleep with small lightning storms in the synthetic bed fibers!

« Bad shower and temperature control »

The shower had bad water pressure and the water went from freezing to burning hot every 10 seconds. The Heater turned off in the middle of the night and had to be controlled by an on and off switch behind the desk and a temperature control panel on a completely separate wall. For the price this room should have been flawless. However, the staff was very friendly.

    5
« BEST HOTEL IN ITS PRICE RANGE »

The room itself was very clean and comfortable. It was clean, well kept, internet worked great. The only problem I had, and it is just personal preference, the pillows on the bed are too tall and firm to be slept on.

    3
« If internet faster, then excellent »

Massage chairs and recliners in lobby, very decent restaurant with multiple big screen TVs, convenient location with shuttle service to top places, very comfortable bed, clean and quiet, pleasant staff, crappy internet.

    « Perfect Location! »

This hotel was big, clean, friendly and close to the best casinos in Reno- Grand Sierra Resort, Peppermill, and Atlantis. The rooms were large and clean. I recommend staying here for your next trip to Reno!!

    « Descent hotel »

The hotel is a little dated and in need of care. The hotel though was clean and presentable. States a week for a conference and found that the staff was very accommodating. The wait staff in the restaurant and the bar we outstanding. They made stay pleasant with small talk and getting to k ow us. Suggestion: descent place, descent food and great staff. Good place to stay.

    « Long shuttle wait »

I got in and called the hotel before I got off the plane and I told them we had just landed. We were 2 hours late, so I really wanted to get to the hotel. I waited 20 minutes and called them a second time to be told that the shuttle had been there twice for me which I didn't believe because there had not been a vehicle from the hotel their the whole time i waited. He sent it back out and I had to wait another 5 minutes. I could have walked to the hotel and gotten there before the shuttle got me there.

    5
    « Great Experience »

great service in the complete facility. The staff was great, friendly, willing to assist me with my needs. I would recommend this facility to everyone that I know. This is a place that we all are looking for to have a restful night sleep before getting on a plane. Thank you

« Airport Best Western Reno NV »

Simply phenomenal service and accommodations. I travel frequently for work and pleasure. One of the first orders of business is to see if a Best Western is available in the are to which I am travelling. My recent trip to Reno NV was for work, during a challenging assignment. The long days melted away when I came back to the wonderful comfort of this Best Western.

« Good and well maintain hotel »

Comfortable ans clean room with microwave and fridg. I did not like paying extra for the Internet (if it there, it does not cost or they can add the price in front) and for coffee and continental breakfast at the near restaurant.

    « Very nice »

I needed a quiet place to study without distractions for an exam I had the next day. This hotel was perfect. It was quiet, clean, and a great price. I would recommend not parking your car under the trees this time of year because I ended up with sap on my car. Once I figured out the heat/ac it was perfect. I tore both beds apart checking for bugs and didn't find anything. My favorite part was the remote control bag.

« 4x4 in the mountains, rock hounding »

We came in kind of late and the front desk staff person wasn't that friendly, we just had a long day out in the desert looking for fossils and needed to get in. It was just not like she wanted us there and we were interrupting. We went up in the mountains outside Verdi, found good four wheel drive trails , no rain and little mud, no problems getting through. We ended up at a place they were grading the road, so we turned around and went North to hallelujah Junction. We saw many antelopes and fields to drive on trails that looked like the original stage coach trails. We then went to Portola/Loyalton area and enjoyed a meal with our friends. What a trip. My son loves getting out in these areas. There is so much to do and see.

    « Quick overnight stay »

I stayed here for one night and arrived kind of late so I wasn't able to visit the hotel grounds. The check in was really fast considering that I had just booked the room through a third party website about 20 minutes to me arriving. There's a restaurant inside and a patio. They offer a free 24 hour airport shuttle which was great because I had a flight to catch at 5:30am. The airport is a 2 min drive from the hotel. They have vending machines for quick snacks and drink. I would stay here again.

« Not bad...sleeping room o.k. But seminar room, that had some issues »

This traveler presented a seminar at this faculty. The hotel was sent a fax with some requests of this traveler for some reasonable accommodations due to a physical disability. Upon check-in, the front desk agent (very competent and professional) had no record of those requests sent a month previous to the arrival of this traveler. However, the room assigned (204) did meet the needs of this traveler. And kudos to that professional representative of this Best Western property. Note that this Best Western property does NOT offer a free complimentary breakfast- rather a 25% discount breakfast coupon. The seminar room was vey close to the sleeping room of this traveler- thanks! But the banquet staff did not know that the contract ordered an audiovisual patch, or hot water and tea. At no time did the banquet staff check on the temperature of the seminar room. The banquet staff did, however, bring in new ice to replenish that water, dumping the ice with an incredible amount of noise DURING THE PRESENTATION, so much that the attendees turned their attention away from the speaker to see what the cause of the ruckus was. After the lunch break, someone (maintenance?) was pounding on the floor above the seminar, to the point that this traveler had to stop the presentation and go downstairs to demand that this interruption stop. So, the sleeping room was good but the support from the facility to help make this presentation successful was sorely lacking. Indeed, for this latter deficit the overall TripAdviser grade from this traveler would be "marginal."

« Family friendly near airport »

My family stayed 1 night before driving from airport to Tahoe. Staff were efficient and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable for our stay. We didn't use restaurant but seemed nice and hotel had pretty outdoor courtyard. Very easy to get to from airport (almost walking distance) and great access to local highways and stores.

    « Reno for Business »

The Hotel is old and dated the service was great and the location is outstanding for the area and the business traveler. Area restaurants are also good. The hotel overall just needs to be consistent with the décor the hallways and lobby look nice and have been updated, the guest rooms are dated and beat up also they do not match. I expected more from Best Western.

    5
    « Affordable & Friendly »

This is an excellent hotel for the price and the ocean views. Super clean with very friendly staff make it a wonderful family place to stay, play and visit the beach! Special Glass beach is less than a mile from the hotel. Easy access tunnel allows you to walk under Highway right to the beach. Indoor swimming pool and volleyball court is an added plus. Breakfast included is also a super nice value and again a super accommodating staff.

    4
    « Nice, Clean, Quiet »

Everything you should expect at a Best Western. Super easy to find right at the airport. Fantastic parking. Attached coffee-shop-type restaurant. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are super quiet for an airport hotel. The WiFi signal was solid and no problems. If you want coffee in the morning be prepared to make it in your room or buy it at the restaurant because you won't find it free for guests in the lobby after 5am. I make sure I have a few bottles of water just for the coffee maker in the AM.

    4
    « Conference on site »

My first time at this property. I had a continuing education class in one of the meeting rooms. We enjoyed lunch that was provided ( taco salad) and was pretty tasty. The cheesecake was awesome! They offered ice tea, coffee, and the service was sufficient. I'd go back and stay in one of the rooms. The ladies restrooms were nice and remodeled.

    3
« nice place to stay »

The location is just beside airport, so it perfect stay for travelers who would like to stay nearby airport. The room is big, we use a double bed room. The room is reasonably clean though the hotel looks old. There are bar at the ground floor. There is also pool but we went in winter season so it is close. The hotel is relatively big floor area. The staff are also nice. It is also nearby the Reno casinos which are about 10 to 15mins drive.

« Perfect! With good food and an airport shuttle! »

We flew to Reno from Texas to meet our California family for skiing at Tahoe. This was a great place to spend the night afterwards and fly out the next morning to go home. We saved a day's car rental by turning in the SUV and calling for the hotel shuttle, which arrived in five minutes. Right next to the airport, the hotel was attractive, with a lovely little "park" between the wings of rooms. The rooms themselves were clean and offered free WiFi, microwave, fridge, ironing board, flat screen TV, hair dryer and a very comfy king bed with a selection of pillows for whatever feels best to you. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. But best was the restaurant, where we had a delicious breakfast, which included fresh fruit, a very good veggie omelette and a yummy homemade Hollandaise sauce for the Eggs Benedict. We felt pampered, and we flew home happy.

« Good location for stop off fwy »

Stayed here for a midway place to sleep on our way home. It is surprisingly quiet for how close it is to the airport and freeway. There is a restaurant on the premesis with a discount offered for guests, but no complimentary breakfast. The establishment is a bit older, but acceptably clean. Good pet facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is away from the Casinos.

    5
    « Perfect when traveling »

This was a great find. It is extremely convenient off the freeway and what a welcoming for those with pets. Room was fresh and had a big dog bed, blanket, and biscuits. The second surprise was the hotel restaurant. We got a great dinner and breakfast and never had to settle for second rate. Highly recommend!

« Very Convenient Access to Airport »

We chose the Best Western due to its proximity to the Reno/Tahoe Airport after a ski trip and an extremely early flight the next morning. The hotel is really close to the airport terminal and offers a free shuttle 24/7. The front desk staff saw our huge pile of luggage and ski bags and offered to keep everything but an overnight bag in a locked room by the bell stand which really saved a lot of time the next morning. We didn't do anything other than check into the room, sleep and catch an early shuttle to the airport so we didn't take advantage of the other hotel amenities. We had a room on the 3rd floor and could hear a little noise from neighboring rooms but it wasn't disruptive to sleep at all. I would definitely stay here again if flying out of Reno/Tahoe airport.

    5
« Really enjoy our stay »

We booked the Reno Airport Best Western for one night after arriving in Reno on our way to Lake Tahoe. The staff was very good and helpful in every way, and our room was much better than expected. We had originally booked a room at another Hotel but decided for the short stay in Reno to book this Hotel because of the better price. We were so impressed with everything about this Hotel we canceled our Hotel for the return trip going through Reno for another nights stay before our flight back to Boise, and booked this Best Western. Very much worth the reasonable price charged for the room, and the amenities are superb! I highly suggest staying at the Reno Airport Best Western for Business or Pleasure. This is a great stay!

Close to freeway and airport. I was traveling south and knew that a Best Western would be a good place to stop. I was not disappointed by this Best Western at all. Very nice entry and lobby. Check-in process was a breeze. The room was more than ample for space. Everything worked as advertised and the internet was great. I plan to stop here on my through Reno again.

    « Very Average »

3rd floor room: Plusses: -clean -low noise level Minuses: -poor (very soft/unsupportive) bed -dated decor -TV remote not working -poor temp control on wall heater/AC unit Disappointing, the bed was a major disappointment, the mattress is very overdue for replacement.

    « Best Hotel Ever!!!!!!! »

We stayed at this hotel for three nights and it was truly one of the best stays. The staff was so nice and that included housekeeping. Front desk was always very helpful. The rooms were so awesome and it surprised us, given Reno is about the Casinos. The main factor in all this was the non smoking. Although there are a few rooms that are designated as smoking, and I mean just a few, the rest of the hotel is designated as non smoking. That was a tremendous plus for us!!. Everything was spacious, very, very clean, and felt like it was built yesterday. The staff at the restaurant was so kind and made you feel like you have known them for years. You never had to ask for anything, and since my wife has tremors, they made sure they accommodated her in every way possible. Total awesomeness!! The rates were very reasonable and although we were right across the street from the airport, we never heard the planes, never heard any noise. It was always peaceful and quiet. Additionally, there is easy access to and from 395, plenty of parking, and we felt so safe. We will definitely be back and highly recommending this Best Western, if you're wishing to stay somewhere else from a casino..

    4
    « Conference comfort »

This facility was quiet even though it was close to the airport and the freeway. The room was comfortable and clean. The access in and out to the roadway was good. The restaurant attached to the hotel was pretty good, but we only ate breakfast and there's not much you can do to ruin bacon and eggs. All in all it was fine.

« Amazing Pet Friendly Room »

Our toy poodle is our traveling family and we always stay at Best Western hotels while traveling. Always pet friendly and this one in Reno was by far the best one with a large dog bed, convenient dog run and even dog treats. The room was super clean ~ not your average pet friendly room. The hotel and restaurant staff were very pleasant and helpful; the London broil steak was fabulous. Thank you!

« Clean rooms, great Staff, great Value »

The rooms were clean, roomy and nicely outfitted. Very friendly and attentive staff. Great price! Restaurant & waitresses are good (but the kitchen was slow preparing food). Great location, easy 3 minute walk from the Airport, but I heard NO airplane noise. Rooms facing the freeway are a little noisy. The Inner courtyard rooms were very quiet, but cost a little more. NO gambling or slots!

« Great option near airport »

This hotel is handy for people who want/need to be near the airport. They said if there was a room ready we'd be able to let us check in early and we were able to. This was much appreciated. The room was clean and spacious, the bed very comfortable. There is a full restaurant where we had lunch on arrival, and the food was good. We opted not to have breakfast--would have appreciated something less time consuming than the sit down option, since we had a plane to catch. So we opted to eat at the airport after going through security. We were there one night and the high speed internet worked the first day in our room but we couldn't get it to work the next morning. They said at the desk when we were checking out that we could have used the business center. But our room was way at the other end of the hotel so we did not want to walk there till check out. The fitness center was not the greatest.

« Good place to stay but not on first floor »

I have stayed at this place several times and have found that it is o.k. but only on the third floor. If you stay on the first or second floor expect to hear your 'upstairs' neighbors. Also have found that having hot water may be a roll of the dice.

    5
« Great location for the airport airport and excellent amenities provided »

This hotel is 5 minutes from the airport. It provides free parking for four days with a free shuttle on demand 24/7. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds, refrig., microwave, and free wifi. Breakfast is not included but is discounted and is reasonably priced with a full resturant menu. What more could you ask for?

    5
« Great value, convenient location »

We needed a place to stay at the airport and picked this place because of the high ratings. It didn't disappoint. It's very close to the airport with a free 24 hour shuttle. It's nice and clean, and the price is great. I would a liked a free breakfast, but oh well. The restaurant gave us a discount. Also, check the price on hotels.com and ask for that if it's lower than their website shows. They'll match it.

    « College visit »

This is a great location for visiting U Nevada Reno, I recommend other Best Western members stay the price is right on( at least online with AAA) and the staff bend over backwards to accommodate. Also plenty of good restaurants with easy parking.

« Great Hotel and location for airport »

Nice place to stay. Very helpful, friendly staff. Great location if you are flying anywhere. If you are flying out they have a shuttle that goes to the airport on demand, very helpful and you can leave your car in safety while you are gone.

    « Close to Airport »

Stayed overnight because of a very early flight in the morning. Had a nice dinner in the restaurant. Airport shuttle driver was in lobby already when we had to go to the airport. No waiting and a very nice driver.

    « Bad night's sleep »

The heater in the room was very loud, I needed earplugs to sleep. The mattress was thin and cheap, much tossing and turning resulted. The shower valve did not work correctly. A lampshade in the room was broken. The wifi is slow.

    « Great Hotel »

    « Surprising! »

Stayed one night on my way through. Frankly I stopped here because I did not want to be near the casinos and it turned out better than expected. The access from the airport was easy and close. The pricing was great and the room itself was clean, a bit dated but well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately I left very early in the morning so I did not get to try the restaurant, perhaps another time.

    4
« Nice place to visit »

Had a good night's rest here, the staff was super friendly. Just needed a place to sleep before my early morning flight. The best part about this place is its across the street from the Reno Tahoe Airport. You can't beat the price for the location and how nice the place was. Not sure if the room I stayed in was a suite or not but is was very spacious. I will definitely stay here more often when doing business in the area.

    5
« Best place to stay by the airport for the $$$ »

Great convenient hotel location. Spend a night and park your car for 4 nights free. If you are flying at 6:00am, this is a great way to arrive for your flight in good shape. With airport parking so expensive, you really stay for free if you are parking for 4 days or more. Great staff, decent rooms, generally pretty quiet.

    5
« Great for the price »

Best Western is one the best hotel lines and all rooms and service is excellent world wide. This hotel is great for the Reno area since you don't have to deal with the smoke issue in most casinos. It is very quiet and the room overall is nice a spacious. I use to live in Reno and the area is also very safe and basically across the street from the airport.

    5
    « Great Quick Stay »

We stayed here one night just driving through Reno with our dog, so this hotel was perfect. Like the other reviews, they do really cater to dogs with a bed in the room and a goodie bag with treats. My dog loved it! We ordered room service for dinner and they were fast and the food was good. Very cool outside courtyard in the middle of the hotel. Great quick stay. Also if you're flying out of the airport, this place is perfect, you can walk across the street to the airport.

« BEST WESTERN AIRPORT PLAZA HOTEL-RENO, NV »

Great access to airport and downtown venues. Close to I-80 for easy get on/off if driving. Very nice rooms and courtyard in center of hotel lends a garden effect rather than a typical high rise hotel feeling. Restaurant and bar have great menus and delicious food with terrific service.

This is a very nice hotel that is very clean. Staff goes out of there way to expedite service, and be courteous. « Best Western Airport Reno, NV »

Good stay. Good breakfast restaurant. Building was under construction during my stay but had little or no effect on my experience. Noisy refrigerator in the room; made a buzzing sound. Reasonably-sized flat-screen TV with sufficient channels available.

« Stay close to Airport »

This was a very nice place to stay over. Airport was a couple block walk to the ticket area and was easy to get to. Ate at the hotel and the food was very good. The evening service was a little slow but the food good. In the morning service was quick and the food great. They were doing some remodeling in the bar area but all else looked real nice. Only thing in the room was the carpet will need to be updated as was starting to fray a little.

    « Not a good experiance »

Hotel was under construction and short staffed. Heat in the room was not working, no one came to repair it. Express check out was not delivered as promised. Additional parking fee that was not communicated at booking time.

    « Excellent value »

Staff was friendly and professional. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Conveniently located and décor was pleasing to the eye. restaurant service was quick and courteous, prices were reasonable and quality of food was pedestrian but palatable.

« Very convenient but could be better »

Great location in Reno for the airport and shopping. Unfortunately does not have usual BW breakfast available. When the listing says queen beds that is WAY inaccurate and makes being comfortable for a tall person impossible. Bathroom fixtures not working smoothly, either. Very disappointing stay. We stay here because of convenience, not because it is great.

« Stay in Reno, Nv »

The hotel was fine, but we had trouble with the restaurant. When we got the bill it was over what we expected. We were charged tax and tip on food that was free and we paid full price for the food that was the special.

    4
    « Quiet and mature. »

This is a nice example of an airport hotel. It's a larger place but not oriented to the glitz and noise of casinos and shows. It has lots of parking and has good road access to the Reno/Sparks area. I was here for four days and liked the service from the front desk and housekeeping. Wi-fi worked well and it was only the sheers that were showing age. Like most hotels it is a little short on outlets for a computer, a digital camera, a rechargeable shaver and toothbrush. It had a proper office chair at the desk. The hotel isn't new but it seems they keep it updated. Breakfast was served in the restaurant with a discount for guests. I was surprised by the short and on/off hours of the restaurant and lounge in a 200+ room hotel. But still this will be my "go-to" in Reno.

This place has improved in recent months, and we will stay here again. We're not sure why the rooms don't have enough light in them, but we have headlamps, so it doesn't really affect us. The value is very good, as all the nearby hotels are twice as much. The airport is a short walk away. That's hard to beat. The restaurant is getting much better, and we now look forward to eating there. That's unusual for business travelers. Hats off to Airport Plaza in that regard!

Clean and quiet, nonsmoking, glad it did not have in lobby gambling machines. Nice court yard with many trees, grass, and walkway. Restaurant close clean and efficient. Under going some remodeling but not a problem.

« Nice room, good location. »

The rooms are spacious and well appointed with mini-fridge, microwave and coffee service. (not a fan of the coffee though) Bed was comfy and the large TV and desk space were much appreciated. WiFi was fast and reliable

« We really liked this motel. Very dog friendly. »

This Best Western had a outside seating area next to the lobby with a fireplace. It was fall and a bit chilly so we moved the table next to the fireplace and had dinner and drinks outside. The best part was being able to bring out Golden Retriever outside with us so she didn't have to be kenneled while we ate. The also had a dog bed and cookies in the room for her.

We found the hotel to be clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were thick soft towels. It was also quiet. Convenient. The beds were comfortable. Also had a recliner. The food at the restaurant was good.

    « Excellent Value »

Extremely clean & comfortable, great price, location was quiet and within a mile to just about everything, fast wifi, hot shower with great water pressure, relaxing courtyard outside if needed. We considered staying at a casino resort but we aren't big gamblers and this hotel was perfect for just staying the night in Reno.

« Best Western at the airport »

Convenient and what you might expect for a Best Western. Clean and the staff was friendly. Very easy to find from the airport and that helped me because I checked in from a late flight. Probably would not stay here again because Reno/Sparks have other more attractive and fun places to stay.

I take surveys all the time. This is the first survey where United States was not at the top of the drop down button to select what country I am from. You should change that as I did not like it. My review for the stay itself is excellent. Staff was friendly, room was comfortable and my dog got special treats.

Our first visit to Reno driving up from South Lake Tahoe. This hotel is a great value and the proximity to the airport cannot be beat, especially since we had an early morning flight and a rental car to return. Clean room and comfortable bed. Most amenities right in the hotel, which was very convenient.

We used this for a family function. Everyone who stayed (10 rooms) was very satisfied and would use again. My only complaint is that there is not a comfortable chair to sit in to watch TV or read. A desk chair is not the answer. Convenient for airport and on and off access to hwy. Check in was great and host was awesome.

« Sleep quality 1 out of 5. Room was clean, no smoke odor. Decent restaurant. »

Employees are nice. I asked the front desk for a quiet room. I specifically asked if I could hear people walking on the ceiling. I took a ground floor room, since she said it would be quiet. I was woken up at 2am by what seemed to be a family of bears directly above me who stirred for over half an hour. I could not get back to sleep due to a hard bed, overstuffed Dacron fiber pillows that kept my head way higher then I find comfortable. There are five pillows on the king bed, but not of different types. I had to lay towels on the bed as a pillow, which was not a good solution. The walls and floors are thin. I could hear a neighbor snoring, doors slamming, elevator bell ringing down the hall and conversations echoing down the hallway most of the 2 plus hours I laid awake trying to sleep. I would not take a bottom floor here if noise bothers you whatsoever, and bring you own pillow! Property is clean and good condition. Has large LCD TV. Fridge and micro in every room.

« Nothing better in the Best Western Chain »

Read Trip Adviser reviews, some of which offered negative views of this hotel. I stay in over fifty hotels a year, Best Western, if available. This hotel will rank with any I have stayed in, including Premier. The Staff is outstanding even in the middle of the night. Desk personnel are right on target and are guest oriented to the highest degree. The facility is beautiful inside, the atrium is like a stadium and the courtyard is beyond beautiful I stayed in a business room with a desk and recliner. and it was perfect; but, now one the Courtyard. The bar is great, good prices and the cafe next door has great food, all reasonable and room ready if that is a wish.... if you goo there, look up Claudia at eh front desk and everything else will be smooth sailing.

    « Airport Convenience »

We had a flight that got us in at 1AM & had to leave at 6AM. With it's proximity to the airport this hotel was our best choice. The 24 hour available shuttle was crucial because of our flight times. The shuttle was prompt and convenient. The hotel restaurant had good food at a reasonable price with excellent service. The rooms were clean, comfortable. The price was reasonable.

    « Glad I chose this place! »

Wavered between this and a few other hotels, and I'm very glad with the decision I made. They do not offer a free breakfast, but they do give you vouchers & coupons for the hotel restaurant and bar. Our beds were clean and comfortable, fridge and large TV in the room. The shower temp was a little inconsistent, but the pressure was good. Despite being located directly in between the freeway and the airport, our room was perfectly quiet. Would recommend this place to anyone, and we will likely stay here next time we're in town.

« Best Western Stay at Airport Plaza Hotel Reno NV »

Overall stay was enjoyable. I did not utilize the restaurant within the hotel so I have no comment on that facility; however the room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Surprisingly quiet since it is next between the airport and highway. Staff was friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and painless. Bathroom set up was a bit strange - the wash basin counter top protruded out so when you walk to the door it was in the way - odd

To many mishaps, that should have been anticipated by management. Housekeeping was non existent the third and fourth day. animal dander made the no pet room miserable for my wife. you could not spray enough disinfectant to rid the room of the dander. The battery failure in the electronic door lock should have been anticipated and repaired before a complete failure. or someone on staff should have been able to change out the battery. as it was it was move to another room next to the elevator which thumped all night long. Not a pleasant stay!!!

What a great place to stay! The room was very nice and very clean. I was so surprised how quiet it was, being so close to the airport. We could not hear any noise from the outside even though we were on the freeway side of the building. Very quiet!! The restaurante in the hotel was just the greatest! Great food!! It would be a good place to eat if your in the area, even if you don`t need a room.

    « A night in Hell »

We have stayed at the Airport Plaza in Reno a number of times in the past. It has always been clean. This time, the room was a little on the shabby side, towels and washcloths short, and a feeling of "lack of care", but the biggest problem was with one of the queen size beds which tilted over to the side and slid me off. Yes, it is laughable. I went to the other side and sat down, and this time it tilted farther to the side and pushed me to the floor. Not so funny. All night long I had to be aware that I didn't get to close to the side, or else I was tossed onto the floor. Not funny at all. We will not be back.

« Bed & AC Were In Good Order »

Often hard to justify as casinos are cheaper and nicer but the location close to the airport is hard to beat. Value is not bad for price paid and BW points don't expire so I always consider BW as an option when I have to make a stay and a Holiday Inn isn't close by.
