"Amazing ! "
Baz J, 07 Septembre 2018

What an amazing find ! From the stylish lobby and bar to the cosy and relaxing spa area this hotel has paid attention to design details and finishing touches that make this a lovely place to stay. The room again is modern, comfortable and well designed and with black out curtains we had a great nights sleep. Credit should also be given to the staff who have been consistently excellent from the moment we arrived.

"Great property in central Rennes"
Kjelljk1, 06 Septembre 2018

Stayed one night in the very comfortable and small (60 rooms) Le Saint-Antoine Hotel and Spa in central Rennes. Arrived late night via TVG, but the hotel was only a 5 min walk from the Rennes Train Station. Very nice clean room, but I would recommend asking for a room that faces inwards and not out towards the main street as there were quite a few revelers in the late night. Great breakfast in the morning as well. Did not try the spa as we were leaving early for sightseeing. Would definitely recommend for couples.

"Jewel in the city"
Tangi C, 04 Septembre 2018

This recently renovated hotel in the center of the city offers the perfect setting to relax and from which to explore. Very clean and modern in its decor, Le Saint Antoine offers a beautiful spa service as well as incredibly comfortable rooms. The most original part of the hotel was their underground parking which you get too by taking a car elevator, gave it a James bond feeling. The hotel is situated right next to the train station and the city itself, it was very easy to go exploring the city from there and the staff was very helpful with any questions we had regarding the hotel itself or the city. It was a very nice experience and I will definitely be staying there again on my future travels

"Friendly Staff"
ChirioTheGreat, 11 Juillet 2018

The staff was very professional, and friendly. We were there for one night. A gentleman on staff gave us excellent recommendations on what to visit in one afternoon and evening. He marked a map that was easy to follow. The hotel has its own garage with limited space, but we were there on time to get the spot before last. Breakfast (for a fee) was good.Very clean and modern hotel. We were two couples, both rooms were equally nice. We would definitely recommend staying there.

"Excellent room and spa"
PekkaH78, 09 Juillet 2018

Visited only for a day and it was a good choice. The hotel itself feels like you are in Singapore or alike. Very Asian design and feel! I think we got upgraded to Executive room which had an amazing twin door window that you could open and enjoy the summer weather high up. You can use the spa for 1h inclusive. This time was enough and the spa facilities were just awesome too - highly recommend to use this option. We hade some misfortune with our air con that made noise due to some malfunction issue, so we needed to change the room before going to bed. This mishap was handled in an excellent way by the staff. Highly recommend to choose this hotel in Rennes, especially if you have spare time to spend at the hotel too.

"Nice City visit."
bevbru1, 29 Juin 2018

Stopped here for 2 nights on the way down to Vendée. Booked the room and parking in May after realising the hotel was on a main road and decided hotel parking may be safer. Staff at check in were great, got the car parked and went to our room. Room was spacious with a lovely bathroom, with walk in shower. Nice Large window and glass door that opened.(we would rather have windows open than have a/c on.) Our room looked out onto a school playground which we Had no problem with as we were out most of the time,( and it's nice to hear children playing and having fun! ) Breakfast we thought was fantastic! Really nice breads, fruits, Coffee, ham and cheese. Dining room was really nice and calm decor. Breakfast Staff were good. Overall a really nice stay.close to city centre ,so good for exploring. P.s lovely indoor market!

"Stunning hotel and a great find "
James W, 25 Juin 2018

Well all I can say is how great this hotel is and the staff. Great hotel and a lovely room and perfect underground secure car park. All the staff were unbelievably helpful and nice. They even recommended a lovely restaurant for us for dinner and booked us a table. We will definitely be staying again.

"Excellent customer service"
Mary O, 20 Juin 2018

We only stayed here for 1 night but wished we could stay longer. Such an exciting entrance to car park, a little nerve racking as we drove into lift and car was turned automatically for parking. Loved our room, very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean, quite small but ticked all boxes. Must compliment great staff on efficiency. We overlooked checking wardrobe and left 4 items, they were immediately in touch and have posted them to us. Exceptional service and great location.

"James Bond Parking!"
Margaret H, 17 Juin 2018

A very modern hotel. Delicious breakfast in clean, minimalist dining room. Very secure parking in futuristic underground parking, accessed by a car lift and turntable worthy of 007. Small open plan bedroom/bathroom, modern square sink a bit gimmicky but all clean. For me a little lacking in character and charm but comfortable and clean.

"Two lovely nights"
SmileySammy1985, 29 Mai 2018

My husband and I stayed in a room for two nights, and my parents stayed in another. We all enjoyed a great stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. Just a shame there are never any English tea bags... a fancy coffee maker isn't really my thing. My parents agreed; my husband loved it. Personal taste, I guess. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. There were certain foods that they didn't refill very quickly. But the food was great. Staff were very friendly and patient. We had a little trouble when we arrived: our car would not fit in the parking lift with the roof box on, plus my dad broke a bottle of wine in the parking area. The staff were very understanding and cleaned it up etc. The parking is useful in a busy city centre. The fact it is underground, needs to be advertised though. We were searching for ages for it. It is a bit of a pain, also, to get a member of staff to help get your car in and out each time. But, we didn't use our car that much. Plus, it is reassuring to know the car is safe. The spa was brilliant. Lovely pool and Jacuzzi. Only downside is the "one hour" limit. This doesn't seem necessary, especially in February. We were the only ones in there. And I don't think you should have to pay if you want longer than an hour. Overall, a great stay and would use again.

"Family Stay"
theelmfield, 12 Avril 2018

We had a couple of nights at the lovely hotel, it was quite expensive but we were looking for a treat and Sainte Antoine did not disappoint. We loved the private Spa session. The rooms are luxurious, the decor is lovely and the staff very professional.

"Wonderful discovery"
France_Tourism, 30 Mars 2018

The Saint Antoine is well located, from train station, it offers modern amenities. Pleasant reception attentive to request wit an efficient management. I believe this is one of the best properties in Rennes.

"Great hotel"
henriksen2, 05 Mars 2018

The hotel is very nicely decorated and warm The staff is fast and good The rooms Are Nice and standard And there is a small pool which is giving it an extra point. The gym is ok but not Big (very hotel standard). I didn't get to try the spa but it looks Nice Will definetely come back here Thomas

"3 days in Rennes"
costatof, 09 Décembre 2017

Very good experience in Rennes, beautiful hotel near the city center; we loved it! We also used the SPA for a relaxing hour, very nice! It was also easy to find- and there is a parking near the hotel.

"Stylish spot convenient to gare"
James C, 09 Novembre 2017

Our room had a unique glass-enclosed “patio”, which was fun. But the room got quite cold, I presume due to the large amount of window surface, and we could not get any heated air to blow, so had to bundle up! The spa looks very stylish, too. We were not informed at check-in that hotel guests get an hour per day free use of the pool, only found that out by asking out of curiosity how much it costs to use the pool. By then it was too late.

"Very smart boutique style hotel - very quiet rooms"
Kaggie6773, 17 Octobre 2017

A very smart 4 star hotel at a mid range price. We booked a standard room but were given an executive room at no extra cost. Good size room with balcony effect window, large modern shower and very contemporary decor. Rooms are incredibly quiet and peaceful - hard to believe you are in a city ! Well located only about a 15 minute stroll to old scenic centre of Rennes and 5 minutes from train station. There is a free use of spa but we didn't try it. Breakfast is very good but do book it in advance with your room otherwise it costs a wallet busting 17 euro each ! Staff very friendly, always with a cheery bonsoir when you walk in. Fun to use nespresso machine in room. Rooms have no particular view but are light and airy. Air con quiet and efficient.

"Modern hotel in Rennes"
xipto, 08 Octobre 2017

Good facility within a walking distance from main attractions. staff is friendly and attentive, willing to help. room was a bit small in spite of the fact that we ordered a superior room. main reason was that the bathroom is a glass cube built inside the room. bathroom was too small to feel at ease. but still room itself was clean, nicely decorated, good sleep quality and nice coffee/tea maker. wi-fi was a bit tiresome, disconnecting a lot, however it functioned well, mostly. car parking was hellish. you needed the assistance of a receptionist each time, because it is an elevator parking and you can not be independent in coming and going, not to say that the space is pretty challenging in itself. so if possible park in the street (another challenge). Breakfast was a little boring, but not too bad. decoration of the loby and the zen garden were sweet and we also enjoyed the 1 hour free spa. lastly we had a room over looking the street which was nice.

"A wonderful finish to our holiday"
118steve40, 02 Octobre 2017

The hotel looks like and old French building right on the roadside, so I thought where's the parking, until the porter opened some medieval looking gates, then stainless steel doors open to a James Bond looking room, which we were coaxed into. The car lift took us to the car park, where a turntable helped us move around impossibly tight corners, so cool. The lobby was very modern and smart, staff very accomodating. The room was state of the art, roomy and bright. Breakfast was a delight, with attention to detail impressing us.

"Great Hotel"
MaxSpark, 05 Septembre 2017

Great hotel, great location, great friendly staff This is a terrific new hotel opened for just one year and everything is still very new and well kept. The rooms are large and spacious and equipped with Nespresso Coffee maker and built in USB ports for various device charging. The bed and linens are very comfortable and the bathroom / shower is a delight to use. One slight thing is that the shower door should open the other way as it is difficult to get out without squeezing through the opening. (i.e. the door should be attached to the wall and not to the glass partition / open into main bathroom and not into the shower) Great location, short walk to train station.

"Great Modern Hotel"
LASA1971, 19 Août 2017

Stayed one night in this cool sleek modern hotel with excellent service. Highly recommended and looked suitable for business and pleasure. Very comfortable bed and we enjoyed a view of the city from our room. The location is good and you are close to one of the finest restaurants in Rennes - almost next door. We were delighted all around.

"Great Hotel"
WWtravalla, 07 Août 2017

Lovely stylish hotel in a great location. Room was very nice with floor to ceiling windows and wet room with rain shower. The hotel is very well kept, perfectly clean and the facilities are good. The parking garage (15 euro a night) is accessed via a car lift and turntables but this was very easy to negotiate and you will have no worries about the security of your car so it is worth it for a few nights but maybe too expensive for longer stays). The spa is small but well appointed with a Hamam, Jacuzzi, swim spa pool and some treatment rooms. They limit to how long and how many can use the facility and there are extra charges after your initial free hour this could put off some travellers. Saying that though, there is a particular jet on the floor at the far end of the swim spa that I would quite happily pay double to use. Your feet will feel like they have been massaged by a harem of angels. Overall this is a lovely hotel that will certainly make it on to my re-visit list.

"A really exceptional hotel in every way"
Stephen607, 05 Août 2017

My wife and I use the Red Michelin Guide as our bible when traveling in France and we always try to stay at a hotel which the Guide places in their third category (third out of five). This hotel was the only one of the five hotels in which we stayed on this particular trip that we felt truly merited the third category rank. It was ultra-modern (not usually a plus for us but it WAS a plus in this particular hotel) and the rooms were well appointed with a suitable area for a woman to sit in front of a mirror and an electric outlet in order to do her hair. The toilet was separated from the rest of the bathroom and there were actually TWO chairs in the room in which one could sit. The tiny garage had a turntable in it so as to accommodate several cars in a very, very, small space. The staff was wonderfully helpful and were most delightful folks with whom to talk! We would stay at this hotel again any time!

"Excellent"
Katalin V, 05 Août 2017

We stayed in this hitel for 3 nights in July. The location is good 10 minutes walk from the historic centre and 5 minutes from a shopping centre where you can make small purchases and find some restaurants. Parking in the hotel is expensive, but comfortable and secure. The garage is very modern. The room was smallish nicely designed and spotlessly clean. The bathroom is comfortable, you have some small amenities in it, what you might need Front desk staff was extremly polite and helpful.

"Excellent hotel in Rennes"
T B, 02 Août 2017

We stayed at this hotel for a night in mid-July at the start of our trip and two night again at the start of August and it was fantastic. Rooms are modern and super clean.Staff are extremely helpful. Breakfast is excellent. There is a cute (very tiny) pool. Location is good.

"Presque parfait/ almost perfect"
Florence A, 19 Juillet 2017

This Hotel was about 7 minutes walk from train Station , so great location. It offers all amenities most 4 stars Hotel in the USA offers: Hair dryer Safe Coffee machine Robe Sleepers Booked thru Priceline, apparently most hotels in France just take a reservation but do not run credit card, they just then charge you when there , not sure why. Stayed here only one night, vey quiet and centrally located, lots of very good cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The only downside is mildew issue in shower , just disappointed that such an important detail is not being addressed , would have give it 5 Stars if not for that, see pics!

"New, fresh hotel"
Beefcheek, 13 Juillet 2017

I stayed here two night when it was really warm outside (38 C). The hotel was still very nice, cool and relaxing with excellent air conditioning. Nice room (same nice AC there) and very good and firm bed. Nice lobby with a small bar. Did not check out any of the SPA facilities. The only negative was that I found the breakfast quite "boring" (nothing really tasted much). Very good location in Rennes with two nice restaurants in the next two buildings. Will definitely try and stay here again if in Rennes.

"Almost excellent"
Jack64240, 07 Juillet 2017

The confort of the room is excellent : beautiful decoration, very modern and simple, color offer relaxation... Some little things give some troubles : Wifi is not powerful enough and if you use more than 3 devices you should ask for another wifi code. But what make me crazy is that you have to do all the process when your smartphone or iPad is off. So when you want to brush your teeth, beware, you will have to restart the whole process. 2 nights stay, I think that I have done it 30 times. And because I think I have too many devices, i didn't get my emails for 2 days...A nightmare. For parking, many have mentioned the issue of the lift. Another thing is that the parking entrance doesn't mentioned the hotel name and is anonymous. So because this area is busy and is a mess according to the restructuring all the block around the railway station, we can't park nearby and we had to park at the railway station where we got a space at the 10th floor. Luckily. So if you drive don't hesitate to climb the sidewalk, parking entrance is on the right when you face the hotel. If you don't mind I suggest you to park on railway station, there are 10 floor parking, it's the same price (15€/24h but you pay less than 30€ if you stay 28 hours only...) and you just have to walk only 100 m from the hotel Having say that, all the staff are really nice, friendly and helpful. Take a book instead of your iPhone...:)

"Le Saint-Antoine Hotel"
traveler2001074, 02 Juillet 2017

This was a beautifully renovated hotel in a very convenient location. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Parking is convenient. The pool area is gorgeous, as is the garden-like lobby. The rooms have terrific views.

"Great Hotel"
CaitB90, 22 Juin 2017

We stayed one night at this hotel whilst travelling around Northern France. The arrival by car can be a little awkward as it is a busy street but we didn't have too much trouble. Loved the car lift to the car park. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was superb, extremely comfortable, clean and modern. There is a spa at the hotel which looks beautiful but we were not there long enough to try it. We would definitely go back to this hotel.

"Lovely hotel with a few flaws"
tomhourigan, 06 Juin 2017

There's a lot to recommend about Le Saint-Antoine: it's well-located, just a few minutes away from the city centre, and modern - the whole building was well-maintained, from our room to the communal areas. The room itself was great: neutral colours, nicely-designed bathroom, Nespresso machine, safe, large TV directly in front of the bed (which was extremely comfortable with lots of pillows) and plenty of storage space. The staff were friendly, too. However, there are a few niggles that mean the hotel's not worth a five-star rating: - The wifi is appalling. We didn't try it in the reception/lobby area, but in the room it was completely unusable, on multiple devices. - Parking, as other users have said, is a bit of a hassle: you need to pre-book as there are only a handful of spaces (all underground), and while very secure, a member of staff has to accompany you to the car park, even if it's just to get something out the boot. Access - as already mentioned in other reviews - is via a lift and turntable. €15 a day also seems a little on the steep side. - There seems to be some confusion about the on-site spa (which is very pleasant). You get one hour's free use as a guest of the hotel, but you have to pre-book (we knew about this in advance). However, because we'd made our reservation directly with the spa and not the hotel reception team, there was no record of it - and so we had to book our slot again. - There's no room service outside breakfast if that's your thing. These are minor grumbles, though, in the grand scheme of things - the hotel is of a high standard and a good place to base yourself if you plan to spend a day or two in Rennes.

"Superb Stay"
Dianna R, 03 Juin 2017

This hotel is situated near the town center within easy walking distance to all of the historic sites. The staff is very friendly and accommodating speaking excellent English. We arrived early and our luggage was stored until check-in. We stayed one night in an Executive Room with disability access and found the room quiet with a pleasant view. The bed was very comfortable and the room had all amenities that we needed. Our flight was in the early morning prior to the included breakfast buffet opening. We were accommodated with selecting breakfast items that were delivered to our room. I highly recommend this hotel.

"A pleasant experience"
Dmac2854, 01 Juin 2017

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's a great location with friendly and helpful staff. As a person who is learning the french but cannot speak it fluently, the staff were extremely accommodating. They took the time to not only speak slowly and clearly they also had the time and patience to allow me to try my french and plus me with what to say when i was unsure, which i absolutely loved. I know things get busy but sometimes reception staff can be too busy with protocol than to spend the time helping create such great experiences. Thank you, iI really appreciated it. Also the breakfast was a great touch with plenty of choices.

"Fantastic"
TimTally, 01 Avril 2017

Service is amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. Our lack of French was not a hindrance. We love the "James Bond" style secure garage! The rose petals on our bed for our 22nd anniversary was such a lovely surprise. Thank you.

"Hilarious carparking"
David D, 18 Octobre 2016

We drove from Cherbourg via Vire, which is hard to recommend, and arrived at this Hotel and asked for parking. This involved a car lift to the basement 4th floor and then a turntable to arrive at the parking space, all supervised by hotel staff. I'm afraid we did find it terribly funny. Our room, on the top floor, was extremely comfortable, well-appointed, as was the bar and backyard garden. altogether highly recommended as a hotel. It is also in the part of Rennes which though it looks unlikely is coming up; the Hotel and restaurant Balthazar is about 5 minutes away.

"Overpriced and flawed"
A J S, 13 Septembre 2016

I just checked out of this hotel and am quite disappointed. I stayed in a suite on the 9th floor as it was the only hotel room available in Rennes due to a major event on the area. The suite was very stylish but had some major annoyances: anemic air conditioning that was locked at 17c. I needed it colder. Expresso maker didn't work. Shower had leak. Bathroom had double sink but neither were directly in front of where you needed to stand to use them. Hotel staff seemed to believe it impossible to get a taxi an hour ahead of time and admonished me for not calling the night before. Wifi access only allows one device at a time. For what I paid I'm exceptionally disappointed.

"Lovely hotel"
Margaret W, 22 Août 2016

A very pleasant overnight stay here. Room was very comfortable with good facilities and very welcome air conditioning. Within walking distance of city centre. Car park available under hotel, essential in such a busy city

"Nice room, helpful staff"
Krystina G, 15 Août 2016

The staff at saint antoine were very helpful. They assisted in arranging a car to take me out of town to a wedding when we missed our bus. The rooms were a little tight but not really when you compare to Paris and they were very clean and modern. The hotel arranged for a hair stylist to come and do my hair for the wedding. Incredibly expensive and NOT worth it. Try to arrange something like this elsewhere, I was a little surprised since it is also a "spa". The spa consists of a pool, hot tub and eucalyptus steam, very nice but you only get one hour. We opted out of breakfast since it was quite expensive. Overall the hotel and room were fantastic, the beds were comfy and we would likely stay here again if in Rennes. The extras are tooooo expensive and it's better to go outside.

"Modern and stylish yet very relaxing"
elleyh2016, 01 Août 2016

What a wonderful hotel. Up to date decor, friendly service catering to your every need, friendly device, a cute funky bar and lounge area and cute relaxing outdoor resting area with running water. Wanted to stay forever. Comefortable bed and fabulous room, best shower in France. Also a staff member came and found us in the rain with 2 umbrellas and led us to the hotel, beyond the call of duty! Highly recommended.

"Stylish hotel"
muckymary42, 11 Juin 2016

Stylish hotel, central location, reasonable room rates. Room was on the small side but most things were in it. Generally front of house staff were charming and attentive, Bar, lobby and outside space tranquil and attractive. But housekeeping needs attention as room was missing coffee, milk, tea, gowns and slippers. Wifi was patchy at best and the hotel charges 25 Euro for 2 for 2 hours to use the pool; this should be in the room rate.

"A beautiful brand new hotel with a Catastrophic Customer Police"
X5185OMthomasm, 17 Mai 2016

We stayed two nights in this hotel. It's brand new and ideally placed. 3 min walk form Train station and 5 minutes walk to the city center. Our room was quiet, clean and nicely decorated. Staff was well mannered and friendly. BUT, it's a spa and we were thinking going to it for a quick hamman jacuzzi before starting our day. SPA is available for 50 euros (for 2) and for 2 hours only. That we did not know when I booked. WIFI was so slow that I could not work in the room and I had to go to the lobby. You can access the WIFI after you signed their online chart... What is this chart for? I wondered too? So I doubled check, this prevents you to access adult websites... In this day and age and in Europe not Middle East? Pathetic New Moral Order crap. Really irritating and the last time I am booking in a Best Western hotel. I am not paying to be told what I can access or not from my room from people ignoring there are laws in France and that Inquisition is over.

"Wonderful new hotel exceeded expectations "
Robyn T, 11 Mai 2016

This hotel ticks all the boxes, it is new, clean, polite and helpful staff and a " James Bond " style underground car park which is accessed by a series of entry foyer, elevator and turntable - all while you sit in your car and a staff member ( dressed in black of course ) directs you by pressing a series of buttons . The car park costs Eu 15 per day Our initial room, their standard one , was a little small for us so we upgraded to a larger room of 21m for an additional Eu 15 per night. The room had a glassed in verandah which overlooks a very pleasant tree lined street. This hotel had all we wanted for a most plesant stay.

"Worth a visit"
EmmaL0ng, 22 Février 2016

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for the Valentines weekend. The hotel is so interesting, modern and has elements I've never seen before in a city hotel. The interior design and design accepts make it a dream for guests who love interiors. It manages to ooze luxury but maintain a quaint boutique at the same time. The live wall in the sitting area was amazing! It's really well situated for exploring the city. If you're visiting I'd recommend staying here 100%
