Best Western Plus Tigullio Royal Hotel

A well run, modern & pleasant hotel in a great location. We stayed for 4 nights & on arrival upgraded to a room with a partial sea view. Perfect. The upgrade included breakfast which was excellent: a delicious buffet with hot & cold options, great coffee & homemade pastries/cakes. The staff were extremely helpful. Would definitely stay again.

The rooms are comfortable but they only have queen size beds (no other options) so it was good for one night. Our room had a massive very deep "jet tub" with a rain head shower. I would ask for a room without a massive tub....it's hard to get in and out of and if someone actually used it it would be a huge waste of water. The breakfast was the best we have ever eaten in Italy....amazing!

Hotel and location ideal for families. Quality of breakfast outstanding and courtesy of staff at a very high level. I would indeed recommend this hotel to friends and other prospect guests. Very useful also the parking in front of the hotel.

We stayed at this Best Western for eight nights and didn't want to leave. The hotel was modern, updated and very clean. Every employee we interacted with from the front desk (Elizabeth) to the restaurant staff, was professional, very knowledgeable about Rapallo and always kind and helpful. The Sky Bar on the rooftop was amazing. We had a great table and were instantly provided with blankets for the chilly night as we enjoyed the local wine. Everything about this trip and our stay at the Best Western was truly picturesque. Our memories will last a lifetime!

Location was perfect.. close to water, restaurants, shops, train station. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. Highly recommend this hotel!

The Tigullio was expensive and the staff was rude. It has few amenities for the price. I would recommend the Best Western Regina Elena in nearby Santa Margherita. It is much nicer, has a beach and is less expensive.

A great find. Lovely large room with a sea view and very friendly staff. More of an Italian resort than nearby Portofino, with more restaurants and shops. A beautiful town. The hotel has a rooftop bar on the 8th floor with great views over the sea. Parking available nearby for an extra charge and a lovely breakfast with friendly and helpful service. A great value alternative to Portofino

We do not want other travelers to be overcharged for bookings at the Hotel Tigullio Royal they didn't make like we were. I will not book at this hotel again and neither should you. Here is what happened to us: I made a reservation at the Hotel Tigullio Royal in Rapallo for a vacation stay from August 19th to 22nd. My credit card got charged twice for a second room booking caused by an error in the hotel's booking system. The booking error was clearly identified at the time of check-in by the Hotel Manager, the front desk staff, my wife, and me. The Hotel Manager, Mr. Andrea B., insisted that a correction could not be made at the hotel level, but rather it needed to happen at the corporate (i.e., Best Western Hotel Group) level. He kept promising he would contact the corporate office. We followed up each day of our stay. Each day there was another excuse about why the corporate contact had not been made. We returned home a week later and still nothing had happened--the charge was still on my credit card. I followed up again with both the hotel and the corporate office. The hotel manager finally reached out to their webmaster to investigate the root cause that led to the second room booking but we have not received a resolution. When I finally contacted the corporate office myself, I was told the solution needed to occur at the hotel level because the transaction had already occurred. A refund for the incorrect charge to my credit card still has not happened. The hotel manager blames the corporate office and the corporate office blames the hotel. As you might imagine, my wife and I feel very stressed and upset that we have been overcharged approximately 700 Euros. This impacted our vacation. We selected a Best Western hotel because I'm a member of their frequent traveler program and we thought we could trust booking with a Best Western hotel. I am shocked to see such a lack of customer care at both the hotel and corporate levels. We were robbed.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The typical Best Western in the US does not fall into the luxury category, but this hotel right across the street from the Mediterranean had all the hallmarks of a luxury hotel, without totally breaking the bank. The rooms were great, the breakfast exceptional, and the rooftop view was amazing. Make a reservation for rooftop drinks and you will not be disappointed. It's a 5-minute walk from the train as well, which made it a very convenient location for our morning trip to hike in Cinque Terre. The staff was awesome too, providing a fantastic experience from start to finish.

A beautifully located hotel overlooking the beach and town of Rapallo. We upgraded to a room higher up with a sea view and balcony. The room was very spacious and light. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially the ladies at breakfast. The car parking is located across the road in a public car park, open air by the beach. The hotel provided the ticket for access, so stop outside and check in before you park. The sky bar on the rooftop has excellent views but is only open on dry days (not covered). The bar staff were very accommodating and offered us a perfect spot with blankets. You may need to reserve a table at busy times. The breakfast was plentiful, both hot and cold food, even cakes and delicious homemade tiramisu. Easy access to hop on the boats to Portofino or like. We would definitely recommend a stay here!

Now this is one of the best Italian hotels I ever stayed in. Very friendly front desk staff, nicely designed, recently refurbished junior suites with a breathtaking view across the bay, brand new bathroom, perfect aircon, lovely rooftop bar, valet parking (on a public parking lot though), minutes to walk to the well-kept privately managed beach. Rapallo does not pretend to have the most spectacular beach in Italy, but this is made up by interesting shopping and dining venues. Would definitely return!

Beautiful location steps away from the beach! Breakfast is well worth the value it was incredible! Very tasty with wide variety for you to choose from! Rooms are nice spacious with plenty of space. Bed were clean, AC work perfectly! Staff here are very friendly and very helpful! Overall a great stay close to the beach literally steps away from the hotel!

We loved the location of this hotel! Across the beach! Our stay coincided with a July “Madonna” holiday so we had front row seats for the fireworks celebration. We were in the hot spot of town, near a bunch of restaurants. The staff was super helpful in giving us ideas for day trips. We knew we wanted to go to the beach and to Cinque Terre and they helped make it easy for us! The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. We thought we would hear noise from the street but we didn't hear anything and the electronic shutters on the windows kept the room super dark. Our two kids each had their own bed/cot. We did the breakfast buffet every day and it was also super impressive! Way more grand than anything you would see in the United States. Pastries, eggs/bacon, breads, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, many impressive cheese options, baked goods, lox, a super cool honeycomb with fresh honey and made to order coffee drinks. We would definitely stay here again!

Wow Rapallo and Wow Best Western Plus Tiguillo Royal Hotel! We settled on Rapallo as a base to explore both Cinque Terre and Portofino and it worked out perfectly. This hotel exceeded expectations - it is directly across from the harbour/beach and centrally located to the ferry dock and train station and all the waterfront dining. We were offered to upgrade our room at check in from the standard room we had booked to one with a balcony and water views and for the extra cost, it turned out to be so worth it. We didn't know in advance but we are here during Rapallo's major annual festival - Feste Di Luglio which has included ceremonial things like fireworks on the promenade which have been incredible. The room is certainly not fancy or super luxurious but is well laid out, spacious by Italy's standards, clean and comfortable. Aircon and great jacuzzi bath! Parking is available and the staff have been great assisting us during road closures due to the festival. The staff here have been so friendly, helpful and just incredible - everyone from the reception staff, porter, bar man on the rooftop bar to the wonderful ladies at breakfast. Special mention to Elizabetta at reception and also the main lady at breakfast who has been extremely helpful assisting in sterilising our baby bottles in the microwave each morning. While everything about this hotel is great, the staff have definitely been the icing on the cake and a stand out highlight. Highly recommend this hotel and would love to return some day.

Great location with ideal location with god sea views. Good breakfast and the Sky Lounge was perfect for pre dinner drinks. Close to many good restaurants and easy to catch a train to explore the locality.

Rapallo, located between Portofinh and Cinque Terre is a perfect "baser station" to explore the Ligurian Coast. This was my third stay at Tigullio Royal. The staff is warm and friendly. Excellent dining within walking distance or a very quick cab ride. The hotel is located within walking distance of the train station, allowing use of Italy's suburb train service. Boat excurions are virtual out the front door.

I was here for one night, all the staff has welcomed me as no one has ever done before, I felt at home every minute I spent there, especially thanks to Elisabetta for the great service and recommendations about what to do & see that she gave me, she was really charming and helpful! The room, the breakfast....everything was perfect! Thank you again BW Tigullio!

We were passing through on a trip through the region and stayed here. We rented a Jr Suite which was ample space for 4 adults. The room was clean and had a water view. The staff was kind and welcoming and the breakfast was perfect way to start the day.

We loved our visit here. The people were very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and there is a roof top bar with beautiful views. The location is right around the corner from many good restaurants and anything you want.

We came into rapallo for lunch. We had a lovely meal at amici miei. Then we went to check into our vrbo up in zoagli. It was not as pictured. I wont elaborate on that except to say this hotel caught my eye. I called and spoke with mr andrea and explained the situation. He immediately accomodated us in the apartment. Its comfy and great location. Everything we need. Its our first night and beds are a bit firm. But we are so tired it wont matter.

Best part about this hotel is the view from the bar, which I'm almost positive anyone can go to because we could never get a table as paying guests. We booked a queen junior suite and while the room was spacious, the only way I can put it is that it smelled like a cat litter box and the bed, if you can even call it that, was the hardest bed I've ever slept on. It was like you were laying on a box spring. Couple of other warnings are there's construction right next door which begins very early in the morning and is super loud, and the walls are paper thin as we could hear everything outside of our door, including the vacuum at 7am. No way was this hotel worth the $350+ I paid which is a shame because we had to drive out of our way to get to it expecting a fantastic experience.

What a wonderful stay. Our family had a clean and spacious room with balcony overlooking the water. There was a festival going on during our stay so we could watch the fireworks from the balcony. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very helpful. It's close to both a paid beach and a smaller free public beach plus lots of shops and restaurants. The ferry to Portofino is only a few minute walk.

Hotel is pretty average 4-star hotel - nothing luxurious but they put extra effort in maintaining the rooms and delivering good customer experience. There were lot of construction work going nearby so the view wasn't as good as it can be and it was a bit noisy too but of course this is something that the hotel is not able to control. The prices vary a lot during the summer season but you can easily spot the more affordable days from their own website's price map :)

This hotel was excellent in every aspect! Lovely rooms, very clean, excellent location, excellent breakfast buffet, fantastic Skybar with an unbelievable view. However, what really sets this hotel apart from others is the hotel staff from the front desk to wait staff to cleaning staff - so friendly and helpful! They really went above and beyond to help organize a scooter, reservations and provide recommendations. We highly recommend this hotel!

The classic room was lovely, spacious and comfortable. All the expected facilities and an excellent breakfast. Plus the management let us come 2 years late (we had a Covid voucher). Rapallo is a great location and we enjoyed coastal day trips by train and bus

My family just left this hotel and we had a great experience. The customer service was one of the best experiences that we've ever had & the breakfast was exceptional. My daughters loved the Nutella pancakes that were offered on Sunday. Thank you for making this trip special.

My family just departed the Best Western Tigullio in Rapallo and had one of the best vacations because of the service from Luca & his staff. The warm reception, excellent breakfast & friendly hospitality made our trip to the Liguria coast special. We will definitely return to this hotel and appreciated how clean and professional the staff was. Thank you for providing a great vacation for my family.

I find Ligurian hotels often elegant but "decadent" but that's not the case for BW Plus Tigullio Royal Hotel in Rapallo. Finally a modern yet traditional hotel! Lovely rooms, amazing terrace at the 8th floor, mouth-watering breakfast and over the top shower! And of course great location.

We had booked a standard ocean-view room. Upon arrival (great location by the way), the very friendly front desk staff asked if we wanted to upgrade to a mini-suite for only $30 euros more per night. That was reasonable, so we did. Pros: Location is great, staff is super friendly, the view is beautiful. Nice shower. But there were some issues with the room that were frustrating. One, the wifi was terrible in our room. I understand from looking at other reviews that many rooms had issues with wifi - so it's probably just spotty throughout the hotel and some rooms are probably fine. But since we didn't have international cell service, we were entirely dependent on the wifi and that made it incredibly frustrating to try to look up a place to go for dinner, or a map or train schedule. I mentioned it to the front desk agents when we went out for the evening, they said they would go up and check on it and when we got back they proudly said "it's working now!" But that wasn't the case. It was extremely weak whether we were on the balcony, in the bedroom, or the living room. Two, there were no plugs next to the bed on my side. Not a usb (ideal), not a European plug, ZERO. I had to charge my phone across the room as my husband was using the one plug on his side. I know again, this may not be an issue for everyone but I go to a lot of hotels and it's nearly unheard of not to have a plug next to the bed. I'm not asking them to re-wire the room maybe just put in one of those lamps that has a USB port in the base? And they didn't give us any washcloths so we basically had to wash with the provided shower gel by just dousing it all over our bodies. Some of the finishes in the room looked worn - the couch, the wall, the tacky clear plastic chairs. It wasn't worth it to upgrade to the mini suite as we didn't even use the living room.

The team is top notch. The hotel is extremely clean. The location can not be beat. The value for price paid and the breakfast both exceeded my expectations. I have worked in the hotel industry for twenty five years. Next time i am in Rapallo, I will be staying here without hesitation.

The hotel is excellently located in front of the promenade. We upgraded to a very nice room with a splendid view over the gulf of Tigullio and it was certainly worth it. . We Appreciated in particular the staff, super helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

This is a rare find in accommodations and it was a pleasant surprise for us. Great staff of helpful and friendly people. Ideal scenic location. We upgraded to a nicer room with a view and balcony. Very good breakfast. Ideal for visits to Cinque Terra, Portofino, Sestri Levante, Comogli. Simply super.

We were driving on our way to Portofino and stopped overnight at BW in Rapallo. It was a wonderful stay and will definitely stay here again the next time! Rooms were clean and spacious, staff was ultra friendly and helpful and the hotel location is in walking distance to town. Another plus we had the best breakfast here! You won't be disappointed staying at BW in Rapallo, Italy

If you are in the Portofino area and wish to enjoy the ambience, beaches, and beautiful scenery, this is the place to stay. Right across the street from the beach, 10 minutes away from Portofino, it offers parking, air conditioning, a very good breakfast, ample rooms with good bathrooms, but most of all, the staff is very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again if in the area!

Nice hotel with a good position. Superior rooms are large and the bathrooms are brandnew. What makes this hotel worth a visit is the bar on the top floor. Modern, excellent service, fantastic view and superb snacks. A must visit - open from 18:00. Breakfast is good value. The staff of this hotel is really friendly and makes one's stay a pleasure.

Honestly, you cannot beat the location of this hotel! It's right on the promenade by the water and such easy access to everything you could want. The hotel has an agreement with the private beach across the street where you can get 10% off admission, which was nice. Denise and Elisabetta were so sweet and friendly! They really cared about our experience and gave us a partial upgrade to a room with a balcony. It was such a lovely treat to enjoy our aperitivo on that balcony at sunset. The room we got was very spacious but the bed was not too comfortable. There was only one elevator and it was very slow, but the rooftop bar was well worth the wait. Although we only stayed one night here, it was a wonderful stay!

Location perfect! Front desk lovely attentive and very friendly! Park service and charge top! In our suit perfect view on promenade! Housekeeping need a bit more improvement and the room some maintance! All in all a nice stayo would recommend

For some special occation, we wanted to stay at the seaside for a weekend, and due to Covid and restrictions in place, we needed to pick a hotel that offers dinner inhouse. We've picked this hotel also for it's great location in the center of Rapallo, straight at the seaside. Their friendliness was incredible and they helped with all we asked for and even more. The same day of arrival I still wanted to arrange for a surprise cake which they kitchen could not realize anymore in time due to my late decision. They put me in contact with their a top bakery and gave me a reference person to pick the cake with. The bakery and the hotel then arranged between themselves to have cake in time in the hotel restaurant and as a surprise on the table after dinner with a candle. Service for breakfast and dinner was excellent, friendly and attentive. They even brought breakfast to our room when my partner wanted to sleep longe. Great parking service. Their chef is Sicilian and therefore, you can find on the menue also Sicilian dishes and the influence from the South beside the typical Ligurian food. Prices are reasonable, but we found the Prosecco quite expensive. Our romm on the 6th floor with sea view was beautifil, all extremly well maintained with fresh colors and a nice seaside style.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. All was good - service, food, interiors — a great option for the weekend in Liguria. Especially the roof terrace - probably one of the best in Luria offering amazing aperitivo.

Our couple visited this hotel with two baby boys 18 and 4 months old. I definitely recommend a Junior Suite for family travelers because it is quite spacious and has awesome view. The hotel provided us two baby cribs without a fee and introduced us an excellent babysitter. I also loved its neighborhood full of cozy restaurants and bars. I regret that we had breakfast only once during the three night stay because it was quite good for the humble price of 6 euros. Last but not least, the staff were very kind and welcoming. We will not forget your hospitality, Elisabetta. Thank you very much!

We stayed here on a last Minute search for a hotel Close to the autostrada. The price was very reasonable and write up seemed good. On arrival staff were fantastic, helpful and very welcoming. The room was large, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was superb for a European city. The lady serving was kind and really took pride in the service she offered and her buffet. I Travel regular on business so I stay at many hotels around the world. But for me it's all about being made to feel welcome and clean hotel room. And this hotel ticks every box on my wish list. 10/10 for the price.

This hotel was our second choice, but we would not have stayed anywhere else. If you are expecting your typical North American Best Western hotel, think again. The hotel itself was modern and very clean. The location is excellent, close to the centre, and restaurants. The staff were all amazing. The manager, Luca, was extremely helpful, as was front desk staff, especially Elisabetta. The breakfast staff were also amazing. Always cheerful and smiling, and never too busy to help. My husband has Celiac Disease, and must eat gluten free, and they always had breakfast items for him. We were there for one week, and had the best time of our entire vacation. We would definitely go back to this hotel if we go back to Rapallo.

We stayed here for one night and loved it! The hotel is across the street from the Lungomare and beaches. It is modern and well kept with great Italian Flare. Our room had a window view of the sea and had plenty of space. The breakfast choices were worth the price and offered something for everyone. They do try to upgrade your room for a fee and my advice is to check out both rooms before making a decision. Our upgrade was well worth it and we couldn't have been more pleased. Would definitely return!

This hotel is very central to Rapallo and just a short drive away from the E80 motorway. This hotel is also only 15 mins away from Portofino by car. You can also get a boat to Portofino and other locations from the Ferry jetty just outside the hotel. The hotel 'Sky Bar' is worth a visit. It offers fabulous views over the harbour and beach area. With regards to parking - when you first arrive at the hotel they have an 'arrivals bay' just outside the hotel - you can simply park here and unload and then the staff park your car for you in the car park opposite. The hotel has an arrangement with the car park opposite. You can park for 24 hours for 12 euros per day. You can come and go as much as you like for this. The room we had was comfortable but we had an internal view - unfortunately, the building behind is a bit run-down so the view is not great. We were offered an upgrade to a room with a balcony and a sea view on check-in - but because we were only stopping one night and were not spending much time in the room we declined. We were offered this upgrade for 60 Euros. (this also included breakfast). The rooms were of a good size. The bathroom was very spacious and the shower was excellent. Very clean, good sized TV. We had a kettle in the room and a fridge too. The shower was great. The breakfast was a great surprise. The selection was fantastic. The pastries are fresh and baked on-site each day. The staff also brought around smoothies and croissants as soon as they were made. Very good selection of hot and cold food, very tasty cakes, fresh fruit, meats and cheese plus smoked salmon! If you are looking for a central hotel with an excellent breakfast you should stay here. Portofino is expensive - but you have to expect that. As well as getting a boat or a bus to Portofino you can also drive - but please note the parking is limited and expensive.

Was a perfect end to our trip to stay in this lovely hotel. Very clean and comfortable room (we didn't upgrade and glad we didn't as it was still a great room!). Good shower, breakfast is definitely worth getting. Brilliant location, we walked from train station with ease (with one broken wheel on suitcase!) and very near ferries, shops and restaurants. Sky bar is fantastic!! Hotel suggested it would be €100 for taxi to Genoa airport but we found one for €60 (two big suitcases) which was very professional (search for taxi Liguria).

In particular we want to recommend Elizabeta, the front desk hostess. She is warm, very intelligent, with superb English,and accommodating to all of our needs and questions. I wish that other hotels around the world would have a persona like that on their staff. We were in this hotel for about one week with many of our friends who were equally as impressed with the hotel and the service.

We were travelling around several places in Europe for our honeymoon. As it was a special trip, we wanted to treat ourselves to some special touches along the way. We stayed in some incredible places on our trip, but this hotel was double the cost of anywhere else we stayed. Since we were spending such as exorbitant amount, we expected an exceptional place, which it definitely was not. The first thing the hotel did upon arrival was offer us an upgrade for a fee (on top of the high price we had already paid). They did not pressure us, but it made us feel taken advantage of. We were in a room with a sea view balcony and the view was lovely from a standing position, but they used frosted glass for the balcony. As soon as you sat down, the view was completely obscured and it felt like you were in a concrete box. Similarly, the glass blocked the view from inside the room. When booking the the room, I had lovely visions of reading on the balcony or waking up to a sea view from the bed. None of that was possible because of the ridiculous frosted glass. The rooms were okay, but getting to be dated. When we checked in, the sink did not drain, so a repair man had to be called. The toilet seat also had a crack in it and kept shifting to the side during use. No hair conditioner was available in the room. We purchased some prosecco to have one night and requested some glasses, but they were dirty. Many of the staff members were lovely, but one woman was quite aggressive. We witnessed her yelling at other guests on a few occasions. One time she yelled at a man for bringing an ice cream into the lobby, and another time, she yelled at guests for trying to take their own luggage instead of waiting for the porter. Breakfast was okay. They have many different options, but the quality wasn't great. Hotel was a great location and we liked that we could easily walk anywhere we wanted to go. Overall, definitely would not return and would not recommend.

We didn't stay here but we came up to the SkyBar for drinks before heading over to Camogli one evening. Absolutely fantastic views over Rapallo, we didn't find anywhere better and the drinks were good and fairly priced too. One word of warning; it can be very hot up there, I forgot my cap and burned my head a bit so be aware - we were supposed to return later in the evening for a night-time view but were delayed and it was our last night. Well worth a look.

Although this hotel had good reviews, I did not expect it to be as good as it was. The location could not have been better, easy walk from the train station, and a minute from all the seafront restaurants. The hotel was spotlessly, the staff helpful and friendly. And as for the breakfast! We sat on the beautifully decorated terrace, overlooking the yacht harbour. The array of breakfast dishes at the buffet was amazing, and presented very attractively. Freshly baked hot croissants appeared regularly, as well as other delectable pastries and cakes. Our room with balcony was good. The receptionist gave us tips on where to eat, and to take the local bus to Camogli, which was a great experience.

A hotel at the very center of Rapallo - close to restaurants but still at the quite end of town. The hotel is quite small but has every thing your may desire maybe except for a pool but there is a nice public beach and pool just outside (not for free however but further down the road you can access the beach for free ). The staff is extremely kind and helpful, the breakfast is excellent and the skybar has a perfect view of the city.

I was hesitant going into this hotel but I was pleasantly surprised. As soon as we entered my family were greeted but not just one but two of the staff, who spoke English very well. The lobby is laid out nicely, clean and modern. Our rooms were very spacious and had been recently renovated. The rooms have a very 'beachy' feel in relation to the location as the hotel is just off the beach in Rapallo. It is also close to the shops and about a 8 minute walk from the train station. On a side note the showers are amazing and without ruining the surprise you are in for a treat.

This hotel is ideally located on the seafront in Rapallo and makes a great base to explore the area. The staff are very friendly and helpful and they definitely made our stay more enjoyable - especially Elisabetta & Elena on Reception and the breakfast lady (sorry, forgot her name!). We had a panoramic room on the 6th floor - perfect for the fireworks over the bay. Rooms were clean, smart and the aircon was very welcome. Overall, a great hotel made even better by the great staff.

Very lovely clean rooms, with A/C, efficient and kind staff, good variety for breakfast, even for anyone who has allergies, parking in the front of the hotel, amazing rooftop with stunning view, perfect for drinks at sunset. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back!

People were very helpful and pleasant. Clean hotel with Parking across the street. The view from the top of the hotel (where the bar is) is overlooking the harbour. Great location to walk around the area and there is a small beach if you want to go as well (small cost to enter as tourist). Proximity to the hiking near Porto Fino etc is great as the Ferry will take you right where you need to go. LOVED this stay and will plan to attend this again for a couple of hiking days and just relax.

Not our first choice but glad we stayed here as the location was better and the hotel's 'Sky bar' had amazing views.Great breakfast and outside seating with good views towards the harbour. We had room 604. Not our original booking but 'upgraded' on arrival. We were asked if we wanted to upgrade as our original was a basic room-but it was ok. No balcony or outside views. We had to negotiate the price increase which was expected but bear in mind it is in both parties interest. A lot easier for the hotel to sell a smaller/cheaper room and at short notice for short stays. It is a good hotel and staff were friendly. They were not very versed on what was going on and where. Also short coming in informing us on 'deals' they had with beaches and restaurants. We found out at late notice that we could use the luxurious Excelsior Beach Club and facilities at half the price (70 euros/day compared to 120) All the beaches charge on average 40 euros per day for two loungers and an umbrella. A very good feature for the hotel was the 'Sky Bar', which I think they should welcome ALL their guest with a glass of proscecco. The room was large but had a very badly placed pillar which obscured the TV from the left hand side. The TV did have a swing bracket BUT was badly installed with too short a cable PLUS the mans connection was not safe and really bad-see pictures. No true English channels except for CNN and Al Jazeera TV!!!! We had a walk in wardrobe which could have been smaller and the bathroom given more space. The bathroom was large but so badly laid out you could not get in without fully opening the door to squeeze past the sink-see pictures. It had a modern all singing all dancing shower unit which only the shower worked for first 5 days. The extractor in the main bathroom did not worm (and never did) bit when raised all of a sudden all the other features on the shower unit including radio!!!! worked. The bathroom disposable-shower gel/shampoo etc were not replenished daily. The 'pop-up' waste was not always working but suddenly did-see further picture. The room had tea/coffee making facilities but you had to request milk-but a handy addition as was the mini fridge and your own safe. A very good hotel and the room had a fantastic view from the balconies (no outside lights so in Aug/Sept limited use) .All floors below had lights so maybe they were going to be fitted at some time. Despite the lack of detail to several issues, we would recommend this hotel on cleanliness, location, breakfast and Sky Bar.

We got to stay in the apartment which was really nice and well appointed. Loved it. The hotel is very well situated. Loved the roof top bar at night. Great advice from staff. Breakfasts excellent. Thank you so much for meeting us on the way to the station so early in the morning with delicious picnic breakfast packs. Above and beyond. Only thing was the keys in apartment were concerning if there was an emergency there was no way of getting out of the building without them. Need to be assessed. I am sure the hotel reception staff will remember us for a long time: either as the "troublesome" or "naive (perhaps even "stupid")" guests. From our inability to correctly plan our stay in Rapallo, we entered the hotel with a handful of problems .. all of which were created by us. I was truly (at the start) a pain in the a**. After several telephone conversations between the reception staff and the manager, they offered us a deal we could not refuse. We were there for a week. None of the staff held our rocky start against us. They were extremely helpful and friendly. I am not sure I would be the same to guests if I were standing on the other side of the reception desk. Bravo for the staff!!! True professionals!!! Our room was almost at the top of the hotel, with a view of the bay, with two large doors which led to 2 seperate balconies. The room was large, airy and full of light, which we like. The bath was immaculate. The breakfast was like no other that we have encountered in our many hotel visits over the years. It was fabulous. The staff in the breakfast room was top-notch. Their attention to detail was unique. I would recommend this hotel, without reservation, to anyone. If a sea view is important to you, mention it in your booking. I would glady visit this hotel again. Our two dogs were very welcome, and the parking situation (the cars had to be moved by hotel staff one time for the market stands) was great.

My daughter and I had booked a double room for 5 nights via Expedia without breakfast. When we checked in, the person on duty said that seeing as we were staying for a long time and our room was quite small, would we like to have an upgrade to a larger room, with a sea view and a balcony and breakfast included for 40 Euro per night. We said that we couldn't afford this, so she spoke to her supervisor and he agreed to lower the price to 30 Euro per night. This was a bargain as breakfast is 6 Euro per person. I am so glad we were offered this as the room was fabulous, the bathroom was roomy with lots of toiletries, a bath with a power shower. The breakfast were sumptuous: a large array of fresh fruit, pastries, cakes, breads, cheese and cold meats as well as scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages.It really is a bargain. All of the staff were very helpful and happy to provide beach towels, ice buckets etc. A special mention to Monia, who was the person who got us this special deal. A fantastic location as a lot of the nicest restaurants are nearby.

Stayed in a room not listed on website 2 bedroom one bath suite great for rate and privacy but not a lot of floor space. Breakfast at 6 euros is the deal of the century. Drinks at sky bar come with delicious appetizers Murphy beds are comfortable and bathrooms are well appointed.

This Hotel is darn near perfect. In fact, I think it is. You must stay there, take my word for it. It is right on the beach with gorgeous views. Try to book the Jr. Suite in the corner; 2 lovely scenic balconies to drink your coffee. Gorgeous room! Super clean and new remodeling. Unbelievable assortment layout for breakfast for only 6 Euros! This Hotel is such a pleasant experience. I would rate this a 4 star Hotel and I do a lot of travel all over the world. We absolutely loved everything about this Hotel; the people, the service, the atmosphere, the beautiful views, the wonderful smiling Employees who really seem to have a lot of passion.

We stayed for only one night and would have loved to stay longer. Room was spacious with the best shower we had our entire month away. Location was right next to the shops and restaurants with views of the harbour. I had a massage in the hotel and that was great as well. All staff were very kind and informative

The location is perfect as you do not need to use the car, the station to go to Cinque Terre is very close to the hotel. The team is very welcoming and the breakfast is one of the best I had ! Highly recommended :)

We had the pleasure of spending two nights in mid-October. The hotel is located right by the sea. Superb view of those rooms overlooking the sea. Delicious breakfast. You can dine on the outdoor terrace with a magnificent view. Within a few hundred meters of the hotel there is free parking. Ми мали приємність провести дві ночі в середині жовтня. Easy to find from the station and in the perfect location for any length of stay in Rapallo. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was amazing and made more special by Mariola who prepared and served with grace and enthusiasm.

The hotel has been totally renewed, the rooms are nice, clean and well equipped. Recommend to take sea view rooms with balcony. A few steps away from the beach and sea front, shopping. Personnel is friendly and breakfast is of good quality with many choices of food and fruits.

We escaped here after a horrible experience in La Spezia. The room we were shown was nice but they made us an offer for the junior suite which we could not resist. As a result we stayed there for two days and just recuperated and enjoyed ourselves.

We just returned from a pre-Xmas stay in Rapallo and this hotel was in the perfect position to enjoy a relaxing time. The hotel, although emptyish, still had a charm and a Christmas feel to it and its position right on the bay and in amongst the little alleyways with shops and restaurants was perfect. Although much of the front was closed off due to major recent storms and damage, there is a wonderful feel to this little town especially when the sun shone. Our Junior suite was perfect and the pull down service well appreciated as was the cleanliness and the efficiency of this hotel. When I had to see a doctor he was there within an hour - friendly and caring. The junior suite has two balconies and we loved spending time just catching some December sun and watching the boats zip in and out and listening to the chatter below. Some members of staff stand out greatly. Firstly Mariola in the breakfast room who is happy, welcoming, generous and kind to families. She is the true centre and star of this set up and, if Best Western read reviews, she deserves a huge raise and promotion! She goes above and beyond expectations. By the way the breakfast buffet is wonderful in the way Italian hotels often are however, this one is a gem for kids and adults alike. Secondly Elisabetta was friendly and helpful on the front desk advising us on where best to get bits and pieces from Parma ham to Olive oil to Pesto to Pannetone - all excellent. If the bar and front area of the hotel is a little sterile Elisabetta brings it to life. Again ‘Best Western' put her in charge of staff training! We even bumped into her shopping and she gave advice on clothes shops for my wife! A few issues - there is no parking and the cheapest option close by arranged by the hotel is €12 a night so add that onto your nightly bill if you are driving. Secondly- with a youngish family we enjoyed sitting up playing card games after dinner in the room area of our junior suite and having a laugh. However, on our last night we were called at 21:20 and asked to be quiet as another guest in another room had complained. Seemed odd on a basically empty hotel and in a town where you can hear chatter and laughter outside all the time. Come on guys - this is Italy! Let people cut loose a little. We will definitely be back! Well done

Very much enjoyed our stay. The location was excellent, close to the beach, hotels and train. The staff was particularly friendly and helpful. Enjoyed started off our day with Mariola in the breakfast area and Elisabetta always brightened up the lobby with her cheerful presence. Would highly recommend if visiting this area.

We stayed here to visit Portofino which is very close but expensive. Rooms are clean. The AC worked well ! Location couldn't be better. The staff was very helpful. It has a parking lot in front of the hotel, very convenient. I recommend this property

We stayed at this hotel in early October in a superior room with a partial sea view. We were thrilled with the room size - bright and airy, comfortably appointed and a good size bathroom. Apart from a problem at check in which turned out to be our fault and the fact that breakfast is not included in the tariff, we would definitely stay at this hotel again. The hotel is well run, very clean and well maintained and the staff were friendly and very happy to assist with all of our enquiries. The breakfast buffet (which I think should be included in the tariff) has plenty of variety and the 6 euros also includes a limited a la carte menu. There is a lovely relaxing rooftop bar at night and the blankets provided were very welcome! As we drove ourselves parking is very important in our choice of hotels and plenty of parking was available across the road for a daily fee. There is one day a week when you can't park due to market day so best to plan a driving day as there is very limited parking in the hotel garage ( which is hard to access and costs more than the public carpark!) Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is located right on the bay with restaurants, beach and shopping close by. The view was beautiful from our balcony room. The lobby is very inviting especially with the refreshments offered in the afternoon and the breakfast room even has outdoor seating.

Beautiful large room with a balony overlooking the laneway below. We had a room with a view to the ocean. Bathroom top class. Staff were fantastic and friendly and helpful with all questions. Short walk from train station. Many restaurants nearby. Breakfast was awesome on the first floor terrace. Roof top bar with a fantastic view. Ferry services to Portofino, Santa Margarita, San Fruttuorso as well as visiting Cinque Terra by boat. Hotel very accommodating with an iron and iron board. Definitely stay here again.

Hard to find anything negative about our stay here, except perhaps it wasn't long enough! Service from all the staff was outstanding from the arrival welcome to breakfast staff and the helpful knowledgeable manager who seems always on duty. A missed email confirming our pet cat would be with us was no problem and being pet friendly was an important decision for staying here. We would however stay here even without a pet. Location perfect for ferry cruises, town centre, restaurants and waterfront. A great rooftop bar - perfect for that evening cocktail at sunset ( or any other time!). The breakfast was excellent just as promised and there's something there for everyone's tastes - first class buffet with great fresh produce and a huge variety of dishes. We'd rate this place very highly and return anytime. Thanks everyone.

Star attractions are the great buffet breakfasts served on the first floor terrace and the roof top bar providing spectacular views of the bay at night. The staff are very helpful, polite and very efficient. Perhaps it is a little expensive in comparison to others but i am not complaining. Look forward to visiting again sometime.

This was a family holiday with seven of us in three rooms. The two standard rooms were excellent - roomy, large bed, first class bathroom, tea/coffee making. The superior room was bigger but not so good as to justify the significantly greater price; bigger bathroom with a bath, but less wardrobe space which was needed for a family of four (two young children). The breakfasts are incredibly good vale - plenty of variety, lovely friendly staff, fresh food. It would satisfy almost every taste. The fresh honey, straight from a honey-comb was delightful. Hanan was a helpful and and always smiling. The sky-bar on the 8th floor roof terrace has great views, and a grand 'menu' of drinks. The barman (sorry can't remember his name) was patient, pleasant and so helpful. And the plates of nibbles between 7 and 9 were excellent. Conveniently located for the restaurants, the lido and the ferry, this was ideal for a family holiday. Finally - thank you Elisabetta. You are a real star. Professional, helpful, happy, and great with the two grandchildren. If we get back to Rapallo, and I hope we do, I will stay here again. Thank you for a good family holiday

High quality Hotel in the heart of the old city of Rapallo and on the edge of the waterway. Great views from balcony room, great friendly service, and excellent breakfast. Very clean and spacious. Elizabeth at the front desk went out of her way to ensure we had a great experience, helping with trains, ferries, restaurants and more.

The location of hotel is good and breakfast very good. On the minus side, on my day of arrival, when the outside temperature was in the mid 30's, my room temperature was 26 degrees C. I adjusted the wall mounted thermostat to 22 degrees to achieve a lower temperature. After about 2 hours it was still too warm in the room. I checked to see how far the temperature had dropped, but in fact it had remained static at 26 degrees. I went to reception to report a fault in the system and was told (for the first time) that I only needed to ask to have the air-con switched on. Although there was a thermostatic controller in the room, the air-con was computer-controlled, room by room at the reception desk. My wife was in the room whilst I was reporting the fault and told me later that the air-con fan started operating within minutes of me going to reception. On arrival I was advised of breakfast times and wi-fi codes. I didn't have to ask reception to activate wi-fi before I used it or the TV remote. So why should it be necessary to contact Reception before using the air-con? So, don't rely on the air-con control in your room. Reception control on/off and probably the temperature control and duration of use. I complained that my booking had included a number of features including air-con and that I expected to be left to control it to my own comfort level for the duration of my stay. The management was apologetic but I doubt whether it will change how they operate. I consider that having spent 450 euros per night for one of their best rooms that I should have control over air-con. I wouldn't use the hotel again.

Excellent hotel with friendly, highly competent and professional staff. Fabulous location, convenient for downtown exploration. Clean and well kept with a very good breakfast selection; beautiful bar on the eighth floor with a panoramic view of the waterfront.

We had 3 nights in a Junior Suite. Room was an ok size with partitioned bedroom small separate living room with 2 small balconies. Air conditioner was loud and when I mentioned it the receptionist said it gets louder if you turn the fan up which wasn't true as it was loud on any setting so we had to tape a hand towel over the control unit so we could sleep. The bed was hard so I asked for another topper but because it was very thin it didn't help much. Breakfast was average and the scrambled eggs were a funny colour. Parking across the road was handy and the porter would collect your car for you. Shopping in Rapallo was very disappointing and most of it not from Italy. Driving around this area is not for the faint hearted and if you want to go to Portofino take the ferry as they close the road once it is full.

Being unfamiliar with the area I was unsure about my choice of hotel and its location, given that my husband and I we were attending a wedding in the neighboring town of Zoagli, a 10 minute taxi ride away. We need not have worried however as we really could not have asked for more during our stay at the Best Western Hotel Tigullio Royal for 3 nights. The hotel is very centrally located, perfect for walking the promenade and in very close walking proximity to the town. The railway station is about an 8-10 minute walk away. The rooms are airy, bright and comfortable and come with tea/coffee making facilities. The beds and pillows are also comfortable too. The staff, Edwin the bell boy and especially Elizabetta at Reception were most helpful to us in making restaurant recommendations as well as booking tickets for the ferry to Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino. There is a delightful roof top terrace in the hotel from which to enjoy a selection of sun-downers in the evening whilst soaking in the views of the beautiful Italian Riviera, with plentiful snacks on offer provided by the charming barman. The breakfast was delicious and varied too and catered for those with Gluten intolerance which was helpful. Lovely selection of food, and also cooked to order if required such as omelettes. We utilised the local pool/beach across from the hotel where a discounted rate is offered to guests of the BWHTR. Truly we could not fault anything with the BWHTR during our stay, and look forward to returning again in the not too distant future.

We loved this hotel. Our room overlooked the sea with a balcony. It was clean and modern. The staff couldn't have been nicer. I wanted to mail a postcard and they offered to buy stamps and take the letters to the post office. The buffet breakfast was well varied. They also had a rooftop bar and provided blankets at night if you were cold up there. Parking across the street was easy too. There was a private paid beach (10 Euro a person) right across the street which was clean and nice too. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

My 6:th stay here I belive and Always very nice. Easy parking in lot just beside or they even park for you! 12 Euro/day or a bit more if you want your car in their garage. Excellent B-F at 6 euro each. Nice modern rooms and many with balcony overlooking the bay. Very good location in the middle of the city. All staff are very nice. Good sleep in nice beds. Excellent wifi.

This is really a boutique hotel.. It is right on the center circle of Rapallo.On the bend . So it maybe loud.. It is very clean and renovated. Not a family hotel which is what we needed. The staff knowing this really did all it could to make our stay wonderful. Elizabeth at the front desk was a 10. The 2 brothers Andre and Lucca are the managers and they tried to accommodate us but we had to move 2 times for a 2 night stay. The Breakfast and its staff best in all of the places I stayed in Italy. There is not a pool and the local pool club is $10 Euros per family and is okay if you do stay here go further down Rapallo to the South end and visit those pool clubs Staff is amazing .. Location good ..

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. From the moment we arrived everything was taken care of. Parking the car, getting the bags to our room, recommending a wonderful restaurant for a late lunch, where they called ahead and the table was set when we arrived. The room was light and airy with a great view if the water, the shower fantastic. Breakfast choices were all delicious including their cappuccino. The owner and his wife made us feel like family. All the staff was genuinely happy to help. They gave us great advise on navigation the costal towns on the day we hopped ferries from Santa Margarita to Portafino. We will definitely return.

We had a corner junior suite on the 5th floor overlooking the beach and promenade with an awesome view. The hotel is modern and immaculate. The breakfast buffet was the best in Italy with a wide variety of delicious food to eat. We really enjoyed the Skytop Bar with its spectacular views and excellent service by Paolo. The front desk staff including Luca, Andrea and Elizbetta were wonderful --efficient, friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everyone! A great value.

My family and I have just checked out of this beautiful hotel with the one of the best hospitality and staff in the world. If you're looking to explore Rapallo, the location of the hotel is perfect but what really makes this focused Service hotel stand out among other hotels in Rapallo (we have stayed elsewhere last year) is the service. From the smile of the porter, Lucca and Elena at reception will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. We were 3 in one room and Lucca upgraded us knowing that we will be more comfortable in a superior room. The breakfast is delicious and the Sky bar a must visit. The people and Service made our second trip to Rapallo much more memorable than the last. I highly recommend this to business and leisure travelers! Thank you very much for your hospitality Tigullio Royal! We will be back next year for sure.

The hotel is clean and modern. The location is amazing near the beach and the promenade with a lot of great restaurants and cafes nearby. The breakfast for 6 euros per person is a very good deal. Staff at the reception is very helpful and recommended a lot of nice places to visit in and around Rapallo. The Sky Bar is amazing, with nice cocktails and beautiful view.

We stayed here for three nights in mid-May. I can't think of anything negative to report. I had a couple questions before we arrived which were answered promptly by email. We were able to check in slightly early and received a personal greeting, remembering our emails. At check in we were offered, without pressure, several room upgrade options, one of which we accepted. We were already paying partially with reward points and the math was clearly explained without issue. Parking is across the street in a public lot and the hotel parked and retrieved our car for us as needed. We just pulled up outside the front door and handed them the keys. No extra charge for this other than the normal parking fee for the lot. The room was very modern, clean and comfortable. The view from the balcony is amazing. As others have said the breakfast is all you could ask for. We went up to the sky bar once, the view and service could not be improved on, although the drinks are expensive they are also excellent quality. The music in the sky bar was unexpected, but appreciated. Everything in Rapallo is in easy walking distance from the hotel location. Countless restaurants, the beach, harbor and shopping are all very close. Nearby coastal cities are easily reachable by water taxi, car or even walking. The hotel staff was helpful with excellent restaurant recommendations. Checkout was smooth and prompt. At all times the hotel staff was friendly and helpful and everyone we met spoke excellent English - since we don't speak Italian this was especially appreciated! We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The location is great, and views from the sea facing rooms are fabulous. Rooms are modern and very well appointed. The rooftop SkyBar is a must for pre-dinner drinks - great ambience, stunning views and good service. Breakfast has a very good selection, and good service. I will be happy to return soon.

We booked the hotel last minute in booking.com - a direct booking at the hotel would have been cheaper. Stay firm, when they want to sell you a room upgrade. The "sea view" is overlooking the parking space and a corner of the sea; however, the other rooms have no view at all. The parking is just outside and for 24 EUR (for that you get a room somewhere) you get a single lockable parking 300m away. Thats nice, but expensive. The breakfast for 6 EUR is absolute cheap and a must book. The food is fresh and nicelely presented... Just wait until summer, the pineapple might still need some time to ripe... The rooms are very clean, freshly renovated. The massage shower is not required, as it does not massage and just burn your skin. However, the showers are nice and clean. The rooftop bar is awesome. You have a very nice service, with expensive but very good drinks. In summary: The stay was absolutely awesome but a real expensive endeavor.

Exceptionally clean hotel which serves the best breakfast in Rapallo. Reception area recently refurbished and looks brilliant. Ability to park across the road was a big bonus. I'm sure in the summer months you would struggle to book a room at this hotel due to it's location just metres from the beach.

I stayed at Best Western Hotel Tigullio Royal last July with my wife It's at a beautiful location with amazing views of Rapallo from the sky bar. The hotel is very clean with good size rooms having just being newly renovated. The breakfast buffet was nice too. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Hopefully you will be greeted by Elisabetta. (I think) She was very kind and being multilingual she was able to speak with my German wife in English and German. Overall I would highly recommend.

From the moment we walked through the door we knew that we had made a great choice with Hotel Tigullio Royal. We were greeted with cool towels (due to the heat), fresh juice and a selection of breads and croissants. Our room was modern and spacious and had all necessary amenities including tea and coffee. The bathroom was large and had a good powerful shower. This hotel is situated in the heart of Rapallo overlooking the beautiful bay. Unfortunately our room did not have a balcony but this was made up by the incredible view from the roof top terrace. We spent the early evening at the roof top bar, sipping cocktails and enjoying the complimentary, plentiful Italian snacks. To top it off, breakfast was 5 star - there was so much choice and it was delicious, it included fresh honey from the honeycomb and salmon! A super hotel!

This was the perfect place to begin our 3 week vacation. Great location, wonderful staff (Elisabetta went out of her way to explain everything) and beautiful Sky Bar to enjoy a cocktail and the fantastic view. The breakfast was amazing, well worth the price. Will definitely return.

We made a reservation for a double De Luxe room (sea view and balcony) which is one category below suite room. On arrival receptionist was very pushy and wanted us to sell us upgrade to suite room for supplement of 50€. As a Best Western program member we should receive a free upgrade, but not in this hotel. Once we refuse for upgrade lady in reception ignores us. No maps or information was provided. Only laconic answers. Next day morning another lady in reception was friendly and helpful.. Hotel charges 12 € "special" parking price at public parking lot is at front of the hotel, but we pay only 9 € without this discount. Rapallo is a cute and charming town in close proximity to Portofino and Cinque Terre. Location of the hotel was excellent, close to the center and promenade. Our room was nice, clean and fresh. Unfortunately sea view rooms are just above a busy road, so it was very noisy at night. Breakfast was excellent. If not the cold welcoming and attempt to receive additional payment instead of free upgrade, it would be very good stay. It just not Best Western standard.

Fantastic view from the balcony; spacious & clean room; delicious breakfast with local products ; helpful and very friendly staff; we were travelling with a dog and two kids; a perfect stay and we will come back!

Hotel seems to be updated or maintained very well. Modern look and beautiful view from the lounge - good place to have a glass of beer or drink at dawn. Internet connection was enough to use Netflix with easy. Buffet breakfast was quite good. The only problem was the absence of privet parking, big public parking lot is at front of the hotel.

This hotel is new, rooms and bathroom big and nice. sky lounge have amazing view. it's just alittle bit expensive. 2 drinks 28 euros Location good. Take room with sea view. Don't get partial view because you will see sea between two buildings

Very nice hotel, completely renovated. Unfortunately the interior designer furnished room an bathroom a little inauspicious, so that the small rooms were even more deprived of space. Beautiful seaview, obliging staff and a sky bar with beautiful view. Breakfast not included, which is curious. Price-performance ratio with the price we paid was not given. The price is driven due to region. Central situation near harbour and busy places, two minutes to old town.

This hotel is in an excellent position in Rapallo, the main promenade, restaurants, bars and the ferry are just literally around the corner. The town centre is also a stones throw away. The hotel is spotless, the staff are all helpful and friendly and all speak excellent English compared to our very poor Italian. The breakfast is fab, everything you could possibly want served in a very attractive breakfast room, with optional outside balcony seating and very friendly staff. Some rooms have sea views and balconies but we had just a basic room which we loved. It was a really good size, nice bathroom, air con etc and who needs a balcony when there is a roof top bar with excellent cocktails and free snacks! The hotel is about a 5 -10 minute walk to the train station from where you can get to the Cinque Terre very easily in about 40 mins and Genoa in around half an hr. Portofino can be reached by ferry, which takes about 30 mins, stopping at Santa Margherita first or the bus takes 20 mins. You can walk the " red carpet" if you wish from Rapallo to Santa Margherita and then on to Portofino, apparently it takes about 90 mins. We walked it to Santa Margherita which took about 40 mins,but took the ferry to Portofino and caught the bus back, the bus also runs quite late which means you can stay for an evening meal in beautiful Portofino if you wish. All in all Rapallo was a fantastic base for us and the hotel was the cherry on top :)

We had a standard double room which was a very good size. The breakfasts were excellent and extremely good value at €6 each per day. The bar on the 8th floor has great views and blankets are provided for when it's a little chilly. The staff were very accommodating and polite. Everywhere was very clean and comfortable. The only negative I have to say is that my parents were offered an upgrade to their room for a 'small fee' for a deluxe room with a sea view....their room was not much bigger than a standard, and the sea was just visible from a gap between the two buildings in front.

This place is across the street from the Bay and commands a great view, especially from their skytop bar. Enjoy drinks and light snacks during happy hour. From check in to check out we were treated with courtesy and respect. There's even a turndown service. It's within walking distance to two public beaches and a pay beach. Many, many fine restaurants abound in the area, take your pick. Highly recommend this hotel when you are visiting Rapallo.

This hotel located across the street from the bay of Rapallo is 5 stars. They start from the reservation process to make your stay as memorable as possible. The staff is non stop friendly and professional. the rooms are spotless and spacious. Checkout was simple and expedient. The view from the roof top Sky Bar is unequaled.

We have spent 5 days in Best Western Hotel Tigullio in August 2017. We had our two children with us so we booked a family room. The hotel is ideally located in Rapallo, very close to a sandy beach, to the train station, to the ferry station and to many restaurants. We arrived by train from Genova and we did not need to rent a car at all, because you can visit any city of the Riviera by train or ferry at very affordable prices. It was very charming to walk everyday along the seaside of the city. There is also a cableway at a 10 min walking distance from the hotel, that takes you to Our Lady of Montallegro, a wonderful place at 600 m altitude, where you can visit a superb Sanctuary and do a lot of hiking in the mountains. The staff of the hotel is outstanding, so nice and so helpful. They speak fluently Italian, French and English and are always ready to book for you a trip or give you an advice. We really felt at home thanks to Elena, Elisabetta and Andrea. Our room in the 3rd floor was nice and clean, with free Wi-fi. The breakfast is served on the balcony of the first floor and is really outstanding (5 stars) for only 6 euros, surely the best breakfast we ever had. The service was also very nice, and we got everyday our cappuccino with a big smile (thanks Hanane!). On the rooftop of the hotel, the Skybar offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Tigullio bay and we used to spend there romantic moments every evening drinking a cocktail prepared by Angelo. There is a private sandy beach very close to the hotel, which we recommend. We will surely come back to this hotel, because everything was perfect and beyond our expectations !

This is a compact hotel that we missed first time driving along as we were expecting a larger property - there is a general car park opposite but you can unload directly in front of hotel where there is an unloading area. It a bustling town & space is at a premium. There is no outdoor area but a rooftop terrace which is open from 6pm with fantastic views - drinks are expensive & there is a complementary buffet. The room we had was at the back of the building with no view but modern functional & very clean & quiet. The bathroom had an excellent shower. Breakfast was served on the 1st floor terrace overlooking the seafront & was excellent value. Staff were very pleasant & helpful.

I've spent there one night and I was astonished by very nice and helpfull hotel staff. The lady from reception was very well oriented and very helpfull. It was time after whirlwind in Liguria and help given to us by lady from reception was priceless. Room was nice, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was delicious, with wonderfull view from the restaurant. Location of the hotel was excellent, close to the center, promenade and railwaystation. Hope to be back :).

The receptionist are very helpful and friendly. they helped us order to ferry tickets to 5 terre. Beware though, those ferries get cancelled at the drop of a hat. In the end we had to take the train after ferries got cancelled 2 days in a row. Luckily everything is within walking distance, the ferry and train station. There is a public parking just outside but it was full and on Thursday morning there was a market there. We opted for the garage which is 10min walking distance. if you leave the car there during your entire stay that's not a problem. the rooftop terrasse which is opened in the evening is well worth it as is the Breakfast. definitely the best one we had in Italy with a lot of choices. rooms really nice with balcony. very modern with a great shower. AC efficient and quiet. only thing is the room was just above a busy road, so it was a bit noisy at night.

Recently (July 16, 2017 through July 19, 2017) my wife and I, as well as a traveling companion of ours, had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in the town of Rapallo, Italy. Our stay at your hotel was one of the highlights of a one month visit to France and Italy. In the first place, the property is a gem. Not only is the location excellent, the interiors are clean, modern, and contemporary. And, Rapallo is severely underrated as a destination on the Italian Riveria. Not only does it present a vibrant and robust port with scenery and beaches, it is a great base for day trips including Cinque Terra. Prior to our arrival, I had the opportunity to correspond with Elisabetta who proactively reached out to me because the way that I booked our reservations created confusion on the property's end. I have never experienced such initiative from a host property and her initiative avoided a possible booking disaster. Once we arrive, we were greeted by Elena, who greeted us enthusiastically, and truly made us feel welcomed. We did not initially sign up for the breakfast, but were encouraged by Elena to do so. What a wise decision. The breakfast that the hotel serves rivals all. We had just come from a river cruise in France that could have taken a lesson from your kitchen on how to set out a breakfast. As it came time to depart, we were discussing our plans with Elena and Elisabetta. Both had suggestions as to how we could better obtain a rental car and continue our travels to Tuscany and Umbria. This was not an easy task as it entailed obtaining a rental car in Rapallo. For almost 2 days straight, Elena and Elisabetta doggedly pursued getting us a rental car and succeed just hours before we were to check out. Their service and perseverance made is Best Western advocates. We will tell all of our friends about the special property the Best Western Tigullio Royal Hotel is in the unheralded gem of Rapallo. We hope to return again.

nice hotel in center of Rapallo. top quality service. clean, calm and very friendly personnel. good wifi. sky bar with 360 view on the city enjoyable at night time when temperature are cooling a bit. centrally located with good restaurant around. very close to seaside but not close to beaches.

We stayed for 8 nights in two junior suites on the 4th and 5th floor in June 2017. The hotel were extremely helpful via email before we arrived and we booked an airport transfer with them which all went smoothly. The location of the hotel is excellent as it is in the centre of Rapallo and close to many good bars and restaurants and within a short walking distance to the train station where we took the train to Cinque Terre. It is also very near to where you catch the ferry to Portofino. Our rooms were large with two balconies with great views. Breakfast was a highlight as the ladies serving were very friendly and the food was fresh, varied and plentiful and the cappuccinos very good too. We went to the Sky Bar on several occasions which has great views, friendly service and good snacks with drinks, although drinks here are expensive. The staff on reception were also very friendly and extremely helpful when one of my daughters got ill during our stay and they helped us to find the nearest doctor. We did however encounter several problems during our stay which unfortunately spoilt our experience. Firstly, we were woken up on our first night at 1am and then 3am by lots of noise and music coming from the room above, We did call reception and they sent someone up to deal with our noisy neighbours. However, the wooden floors in the rooms do mean you can hear people above you walking around and moving chairs etc so when this happens late at night it is quite disruptive. Also the air conditioning in both rooms stopped working and we had to call down on several occasions to get this sorted and we also found the Wi-Fi in the rooms kept dropping out and so was not that reliable. Finally, my daughter noticed one night that her two toys which she takes to bed with her every night, and which have travelled all around the world with us in all different hotels, were missing. We spoke to night reception straight away to report this and the next morning I spoke to the Manager. But the hotel didn't seem to take the matter very seriously even though my daughter was extremely upset as the toys have great sentimental value. The Manager said he had spoken to the maid who said the toys were not in the room when she went to clean it, and suggested my daughter must have taken them out with her, which she never does. I did suggest that the toys could have been taken away with the bedding and asked him to check again with the maid and the laundry. He did email me when we got home to say he had contacted the laundry and the toys had not been found. He did also offer us a small discount on our bill due to the problems we had, and upgraded our airport transfer on the way home. However, the fact still remains that the toys were either taken from the room or carelessly thrown away with the laundry, which I think is extremely poor service and not what I would expect to happen in a 4 star hotel. This did unfortunately tarnish our view of the hotel and spoilt what would have otherwise been a good family holiday.

It was great to unload the car at the front door and to meet the staff.We were stunned to enter our lovely room and encounter the magnificent view. The Sky bar on the roof was breathtaking and pre dinner drinks was a must do. Overall a great experience

This Hotel is great, so it's next to the beach and the sea. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. They have in the top of the hotel a beautiful sky lounge with an amazing view over the sea, the harbor and the promenade. The breakfast buffet is very delicious with a big choice of different food and a terrace to eat at the outside in front of the seaview. enjoy!

The hotel is across the street from the water at the end of the main avenue, perfect and very convenient. They arrange for parking which is so important. It was completely modernized recently so very nice, all the conveniences including a rooftop bar lounge. The view is unbelievable and there are complementary pizza etc.Do not miss it. No street noice. They upgraded our room for a very fair price. I must give thanks to Luca and Elisabeth for all their help; they couldn't be more helpful.

Hotel is at the see side, promenade full of restaurants for every taste. Shopping street starts from the hotel. 2 min to train station. 2 min to boat terminal to ride to St. Margarita and Portofino. Rooms and amenities match the 4 star rating to the full extent. Excellent continental breakfast on the balcony facing the bay. There is a bar on the roof (8th floor) under the sky, where we observed our lucky treat for 3 days - 3 fireworks a day for 3 days in a row for a religious festival. Valet parking available, but it was hard to reach the hotel by car due to street closures during the festival.

This charming hotel, on the water is a great value. You will have blond wood floors, a great bathroom and view of the sea. Staff if helpful and this is ter perfect place to stop for the night. We were there during a local festival and loved it. Half the price of Puerto Fino, next town over. Love it and will go again.

We stayed here for 5 nights during the religious festival in early July. We had a 6th floor room with exceptional views over the bay and an excellent place to watch the nightly firework from our two balconies. The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. The staff are amongst the best we have stayed with anywhere and we have been very happy to stay and recommend this great hotel and its staff. Breakfast is served on the 1st floor and is charged separately at 6 euro per person per night and was good value Highly recommended

The new renovated hotel has a very central location. Rooms are furnished and clean. The hotel provides car parking for a fee. There is free internet access and bathroom equipment is sufficient. They also have a magnificent bar at the roof but it was windy so we just went back to our room. The hotel is a bit pricy but this was the beginning of the season.

Stayed one night as part of our two week tour of Tuscany, Liguria & Piedmont Regions. We should have stayed for three nights.... We arrived on a Thursday which is market day and the traffic was unbelievable, however the sat nav took us to the front door of the hotel and the reception arranged for the car to be parked. We were early for check in, but the very helpful manager convinced us to upgrade to a sea view room and even let us viewed the room before we decided. The hotel must have been recently refurbished because everything seemed clean and new... The views from the excellent roof terrace bar are amazing ..... Only regret is that we didn't stay for three nights as there is plenty to do and see in Rapallo... For any enthusiastic home cooks, you must take a taxi to see Fausto the owner of U Giancu restaurant... I spent four hours with him in his kitchen in the morning and returned with my wife on the evening to eat some of the food I had made and of coarse Fausto's creations ... trust me you will not be disappointed.. (not cheap but worth every penny for the experience...)

We had a great stay at this hotel. One day only but it felt like more. Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Very clean room. Excellent air-condition. Please don't give attention to the outside. Wait until you get in and meet the great smile of the receptionist !

We arrived here Due to an error in booking a place in Monterosso for the wrong day, so this was a totally unplanned visit with a family of five. The receptionist was just the best in arranging everything for us at such short notice and being extremely pleasant and helpful throughout. I can't recall her name but it could have been Mona or something similar. Anyway, she was amazing. The hotel itself is superbly situated only yards from the beach in this beautiful little town. Rapallo really is like San Tropez without the hype and the overpricing. It's a gem of a place, with lots of great restaurants and walks. The hotel has fabulous rooms, all immaculately clean and many with beautiful sea views. Breakfast is wonderful and the wifi is free and easy. Nothing at all negative to say about this place and will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 days of relaxation after a business trip in Milan. Location is ideal, parking was easy and not too expensive. Room was clean and had comfortable beds and the free wifi was relatively fast. Checkin/checkout process was quick, staff was very friendly and helpful (Elisabeth gave great directions in fantastic English to a nice lunch spot). I would definitely come back to the Tigullio for another stay...

We spent one night here and it was too short. Service when you check in is very friendly with juices, water and food to welcome you. After a long 16km walk it was very well received. Rooms are modern and quirky which we loved. Very spacious with a separate bedroom to sitting area and good size bathroom. Breakfast can be enjoyed outside on their deck overlooking the esplanade and the choice of breakfast is of a high standard. Overall I loved this hotel and Rapallo

Friendly staff. Amazing breakfast. Rooftop bar was beautiful. Walk from Hotel along the red carpet spring walk towards a Portofino was lovely. Loved our balcony overlooking the bay from our room. All at front desk ( especially elizabetta ) were very friendly.

MY sisters and nieces stayed at the Tigullio Royal in Rapallo in May. We had great rooms looking over the shore, and were in easy walking distance of the shops and the train station. The staff was wonderful; helpful, pleasant, and spoke English very well. I would recommend this hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. Beautiful view, close to the water & restaurants and great customer service. We have stayed at other Best Westerns in different places & always have a good experience, we will be back!

We had a lovely journey. The service at the hotel was fantastic. The staff hold the boat to Porto Fino and we got with the boat. At Porto Fino we walked and could see a beautiful view. The hotel was really nice and the staff was great.

Hotel: Clean, newly renovated, awesome roof top bar area which is open till late. The most amazing views from the rooftop bar. Walk across the road and you are in the water. Rooms are great. we had a Superior Queen bedroom. plenty of room for my wife and I. Staff: Extremely helpful and friendly. If you arrive by train it is a 10 minute easy walk to this hotel. Breakfast is awesome, the staff are great especially Hanan who looked after us every morning for 6 days to make sure we had everything we needed. She went above and beyond in her service to us and everybody at breakfast. A must do is the walk to Portofino along the red carpet. It is a 8klm walk. Very relaxing and enjoyable to do with great coast line views. You can catch the ferry back to Rapallo.

Our group of 7 people stayed at this lovely hotel during our stay in Rapallo. We had booked three rooms but hotel management very graciously upgraded two of the rooms to a two bedroom suite with a beautiful sea view, patio/balcony, and living area. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful, particularly Elena and Elisabeth who work at the front desk. They went above and beyond to help our group with special requests and needs. We enjoyed cocktails and great service at the hotel's rooftop bar. We also enjoyed the hotel's breakfast buffet each morning. The hotel is very conveniently located within a 5-10 minute walk to the train station. We highly recommend this hotel.

We booked from hotels.com for a superior room and were expecting a 4star hotel. However, in terms of the facility and rooms it was a 4 star may be in 70s... the superior room was seeing another building from a 1m wide window. There were 2 windows and one was seeing a building other one was catching a seeview between a building, a streetlamp and another building. The queen size bed was made from 2single beds with slightly different height of beds. If you are looking for something superior, do not go there...

Great hotel with excellent location right across from the sea. We upgraded to a room with a balcony. The room was huge with all amenities including a small walk in closet, two sinks and a jetted tub. The balcony was a little small, but with two chairs and a table. The BEST thing about the hotel (among many wonderful things) was the pleasant and helpful staff. They meant it when that said they were there for us 24/7. We were greeted with a complimentary drink, and our luggage was taken to our rooms for us. There is a fabulous rooftop bar with a dazzling view. Marco, the bartender, was both very accommodating and lots of fun. When it got a little chilly, he even provided us with soft, snuggly blankets. Breakfasts were lovely , elevators fast, and beautiful glass works of art are located throughout the hotel. Rapallo is close to the Cinque Terra, but is a great little town in its own right. I wish we had planned a couple more nights there. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and again!

This was our third hotel on our tour and we stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the train station and located at the sea front with the shops cafes and restaurants on your doorstep. It's a modern hotel with a lovely breakfast room with outside terrace overlooking the harbour. The rooftop bar is fabulous with far reaching views, comfortable seating and the best barman in Rapallo (Marco). On arrival our room wasn't ready and the young man on reception said he could offer us an upgrade for 20euros however the manager then came and proceeded to march us off on a tour of his best toons desperately trying to up-sell to us starting at 60euros pppn then coming down in price to try and sell.. to be fair the rooms he showed us were beautiful but we didn't intend spending much time in the room and if you want sea views you can sit in the rooftop bar. Having been given a free upgrade to a 5* hotel in our previous location we decided to make do with the standard room we had booked. It was fine although quite hot due to a mini heatwave and they don't turn the air-con on until May. Eventually they found a fan. The hotel didn't have our breakfast booking but we had a copy of the email confirming we had booked bed and breakfast, all was well and they even prepared a very early breakfast at 6.30am on our last day... then tried to make us pay for our breakfasts! We again had to find our email, all was sorted out but it's a little annoying to repeatedly be told we hadn't paid for it. Rapallo itself is a great place to stay and base yourself. We visited Santa Margherita and Portofino. I was a victim of the notorious pick pockets so take care on the trains! All in all we had a great stay here and would return if we visit Rapallo again.

Tigullio is located just in the center of Rapallo and in front of the water. It Is a modern and comfortable hotel with nice and well equipped rooms. Pay a bit extra to have the view to the sea. We got a room on sixth floor with a big balcony overviewing the sea and the mountains. Very friendly and helpful staff, parking just in front of the hotel (12 EUR) and a very good breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs, good selection of breads and cheeses for 6 EUR per person. Good free wifi. Many good restaurants nearby. Awesome skybar but a bit expensive.

Very nice modern hotel, clean comfortable room. Wi-Fi signal worked on my PC but kept disconnecting on my Apple iPhone. Breakfast was great. location was perfect access to everything. The people working there could not have been more helpful and pleasant.

We planned a one night visit to Rapallo near the end of a week trip to Italy. We planned it this way so that we would end our trip on a more relaxing, laid back note, but it was anything but that. Elena at the front desk was anything but helpful from the moment we arrived. We had booked through booking.com, but apparently this is frowned upon. The front desk guy tried to charge us an extra 65 euro, but said he would settle for 60 euro... WHAT? A fee should be a flat rate, not negotiable. It felt as if they were trying to make a little extra cash for their own good. The room was great after we finally got in it. Elisabetta was the front desk staffs saving grace. She was friendly and extremely helpful. She recommended some excellent local options for dining and made sure everything was great. The rooftop bar also had a fantastic vibe with a great staff. Rapallo is a cute and charming town in close proximity to Portofino and Cinque Terre, but the staff upon arrival clouded our visit.

Stayed for one night for a business trip. Was very very good value for money, Nice rooms, super quality, great views, very clean. Super beds = nice and comfortable. Nice art around the hotel, Good breakfast.

There are many things about this hotel that were excellent - superbly clean, extremely comfortable, great location, wonderful breakfast. The one thing about this hotel that is EXCEPTIONAL is the STAFF. Everyone at the hotel, from Elisabetta and Elena at the desk to the porters were extremely friendly, helpful and engaging. Mariola, who makes and serves breakfast, does a superb job every morning as she prepares cakes and pastries and puts out the most visually appealing (and delicious) breakfast buffet. As we left each morning for our hikes and as we returned each afternoon we were engaged in conversation and given helpful advice. I really could go on and on about the superb service but I should also mention again that the hotel is extremely well located, impeccably clean and well furnished (the most comfortable bed I think I have ever slept in) and pleasant in every way.

We stayed at the Tigullio Royal in Rapallo for two nights in September. We had planned to stay in one of the Cinque Terre villages but all the accommodation was fully booked. In the end, we were glad that we stayed in Rapallo as we were able to take a lovely day trip by boat to the Cinque Terre. Rapallo also has the significant advantages of good parking and a much bigger selection of shops, restaurants and other facilities. The hotel is all you would expect from a top end establishment. It is located right on the waterfront and is modern, clean and luxurious. Our room had a sea view with a balcony and was beautifully appointed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic with a huge selection of delicious treats. There is a wonderful rooftop bar which is the perfect place for an aperitivo. The parking is not at the hotel but is immediately across the road in a public parking area. There is a reduced rate for hotel patrons.

Spent 4 nights in November with my wife. Location is excellent, you walk to the beach (100 yards) or the shopping alleys ( 300 yards) . The Hotel has been refurbished recently, Our room was a superior with a small balcony and facing the beach and sea. The room was super clean and spacious with a king bed and usual amenities. The bathroom was also very clean, a bit on the small side, good shower. Front desk service excellent , we asked for an extra night , no problem at same great price we had, when I asked if I could use the WIFI the day after we checked out they had no problem. The breakfast is absolutely worth the Eur 12 it costs, all the food from an American breakfast, plus all the local goodies, all in a room facing the sea.

We kicked off our trip to Italy in Rapallo and stayed at the BW Tigullio Royal. We didn't book tours or anything ahead of time because we weren't sure what the weather would be, so we arrived with a blank slate. Rapallo is a summer getaway town, much like the Hamptons in NY. We arrived in the 'off season' (end of October), which was perfect because we didn't have to deal with large crowds and we were able to comfortably walk around and explore. We found this hotel here on tripadvisor and booked through the Best Western website directly. Staff was amazing! Luca, Andrew and Isabella made our stay in Rapallo great! They helped us book a cool guided tour of Cinque Terra as well as assisted us in booking tennis courts, which are near by and beautiful. They all spoke fluent English, which made our life easy. They also made some good recommendations for restaurants (all within walking distance). If you guys are reading this review, we'd like to say thank you for a great stay!!! Good to knows: - The location is perfect, central to everything. - Parking available directly across the street, 12Euros/day through the hotel. - Our room was small but modern, we had a super view of the town and the water, really pretty in the morning. Also had a balcony. - Breakfast is 4Euro/per day, per person. Its one of the best breakfast buffets you will find! Excellent food and coffee and the wait staff is also great!. (I see people complaining about paying for breakfast, don't listen to them, its worth 20Euro easily) - You will be very close to Portofino, maybe a 10 min drive on the coast. It's small but nice to visit and eat. - If you play tennis, there are really nice red clay courts 5-10 mins drive away depending on traffic, they also have night lights (but those drive the cost up so, play during the day) -You can take the train from Rapallo to Cinque Terra - it's about a 30 min trip. We did a guided tour, which was interesting, but honestly you're better off just venturing out yourself and walking around... the 5 towns are not very different from each other, they are cool and worth a visit though.

We were not warned before. Parking is not the one of the hotel and the price is 12€ per day (Best western special price arrangement). Breakfast is not included (4€ per person per day) and if you have a pet, it's 12 euros per day... so a minimum additional charge of 30 euros per day... plus the staff was very pushy and wanted us to sell us another better room more expensive (supplement of 50€). Not the best experience. Would not recommend it unless you are ready to pay another 30€ every day on top of your room price. Very disappointed here.

Stayed here for 4 nights first week of October. So local for all facilities-shopping, restaurants, the marina and the seafront promenade. The rooms with balcony are ideal, and at night the rooftop bar under the stars makes for a great end to the evening. Try the coffee shops in the narrow side streets for real atmosphere and take the ferry to Santa Margherita and on to Portofino.

Excellent location across from the Rapallo boat harbor. There is a small beach across the street from hotel. Lot's of shops and a galleria as well as many good restaurants and a pizzeria nearby. A grocery store is located about 3 blocks away. Very nice comfortable lobby. Friendly helpful staff, particularly the manager. Free internet (with provided password) was fairly fast. The rooms were quite large, by European standards with a couch, small desk and television. I found one English speaking channel (BBC World). There is a small elevator. Bathroom was fine with small shower. Amenities such as soap, lotion and shampoo were provided. Plenty of electrical outlets (unlike some older hotels). Although we did not have one, there were some rooms at the front of the hotel with small balcony, chairs and table over looking the Mediterranean. Pretty cool. The provided breakfast buffet was spectacular. All of the expected breakfast foods (fruit, bacon, eggs, pastries, yogurt, etc) were there. They also had a nice selection of cheeses, foccacia, tomatoes, quiche, croissant. Excellent coffee including some in a big pot (not mixed by machine). Thje breakfast room is roomy wth white table cloth and indoor and outdoor seating. Breakfast was available from 7:15-10:15AM. If you take a late breakfast, you could easily eat enough to be able to skip lunch. The only two negatives I can think of is that the area is quite congested and driving a car or bus to the hotel can be tricky. Also, there was no coffee provided in the room but this is more a personal preference. The breakfast spread more then made up for it. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Rapallo.

This was one of the best Hotels we stayed in. The rooms were new with lovely views of the beach. We had a balcony to sit and ponder. Outstanding facilites and beds. Breakfast was the best in Italy Manager of Hotel was so helpful and Elena the receptionist was outstanding at her job. She rang other Italian hotels for us.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our trip between Rome and Provence in order to see the Cinqueterre area. After reading the glowing reviews, we were disappointed in our room. It faced an alley w/ a small view of the water from the one window in the room. The room was dark and we always had the lights on. The bathroom was quite small and had a shower unit that was self-contained. There was not much room to move in it, and larger people would have difficulty. The good part was that there was always hot water and great water pressure. As mentioned by others,It is also impossible to sleep with the window open as street noise will keep you up at all hours. The reason I rated the hotel a 4 out of 5 is because the service is top-notch. The front desk always helped out when needed, even letting my husband get food in the breakfast room prior to the breakfast opening so that we could have something to eat on our early train to Nice. Their customer- first attitude was very much appreciated. The location is also convenient to both the Cinqueterre region and the Santa Marghertia/Portofino area.

All in this hotel is very good. Since the first time, when you arrive everybody helps you. All is perfect. The friendliest, courteous , the smile that the staff always shows in their faces, is something very necesary, for the turists as us, that are coming from far countries. The WI-Fi is excellent. And the satff of the restaurant helpful . The views during de sun-light, and at night are very beutifull.Rapallo is a good place for holidays. If I can I will return , and I will choose again this hotel. I have to name Monia, but the thruth is that the hole satff is excellent.

We booked this hotel when the town of Santa Margherita was booked out and we looked at an alternative for our visit to Portofino. The Best Western is a great little hotel ideally situated on the corner of the Esplanade with a view of the beach. Rooms are very nicely appointed and modern, we upgraded to a junior suite and glad we did so. There is an excellent buffet breakfast and several restaurants adjoining.hotel front desk staff friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend staying here if you intend to visit Portofino. There is also a ferry to Portofino but we drove there and found parking in the city center garage

Superb location right in the middle of Rapallo. The friendliest, courteous and helpful staff you could ever find. The views at night from the roof-top bar are exquisite. The only possible drawback is that because of the hotels location right in the heart of the town traffic noise, particularly from scooters can be a distraction if you wanted to enjoy your balcony.

Rapallo is a good place to base yourself where you can take daily boat rides to venture out. This hotel may not be rated as a 5star hotel, but I promise you the customer service is 5star, the rooms are very clean, extremely pleasant, full of natural light and if you get a sea view room you won't regret it! The most memorable aspect of this hotel was the people. The customer service is amazing. All the front desk staff (especially Monia) are super friendly and (willingly) helpful and proactive to organise what you need. The breakfast is also quite a generous spread with lots of different offerings & the coffee is also fantastic. Again, you don't find this type of breakfast in a non-5star hotel, so it was a great surprise. Breakfasts on the sunny balcony is a must and a great way to start the day. This hotel also has a beautifully designed rooftop bar with breathtaking water and city views. Sipping a Spritz and picking at nibbles pre-dinner is a memorable way to start your evening out. We can't recommend this hotel enough and we will definitely be back!

As a disclaimer, we did not stay in the hotel. We rented a villa for a week. Included in the villa rental was breakfast, porter and housekeeping, and the concierge service from the hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted and escorted to our villa a couple of blocks away. We were treated wonderfully. One of my favorite parts of traveling in Italy is breakfast. Here, we were greeted with platters of salumi and formaggi, fresh fruit displays, trays of croissants, cakes and pastries, yogurts, juices, etc. They even offered regular scrambled eggs for unadventurous americans. On sunday, there were bottles of prosecco for mimosa making. The frozen coffee milkshake was a particular favorite. The servers in the restaurant always asked if we would like cappuccini, and it was always delicious. We also enjoyed cocktails one evening at the roof bar. Not too many options in the way of hard liquor but sufficient to have a drink. The view was very nice. The hotel was spotless. All the staff was extremely courteous and professional.

My wife and I spent a great weekend at the Tigullio Royal . The front desk personnel assisted with a problem with our car. They were competent, understanding, and caring. The room was more than we expected, breakfast was delicious, and the recommendation for dinner was appreciated.

Lovely welcome from Reception on arrival. Car parking was directly opposite the Hotel and at a subsidised rate. Our rooms were on the 6th floor. Our room was a corner one with balcony on both sides with a lovely view of the sea and the promenade. Our son had a room next door which was also very nice. All the shops restaurants and bars are in walking distance of the Hotel with masses of choice. Portofino is a short boat ride away and the cost was only 11.50 Euros return. Unfortunatley as we went in the evening we had to take a taxi back to Rapallo please be aware we were charged 70 Euros. We will visit in the day next time. Breakfast in the Hotel was stunning and the staff charming. This Hotel is in a great location in the centre of Rapallo and we would highly recommend a stay here. Can't wait to go back. We stayed at Best Western Hotel Tiguillo Royal. An elegant 4 star hotel strategically located on Rapallo seafront. I highly recommend it because of its vicinity to the train and bus station, cafés and restaurants and historical and cultural interests. Very convenient. They offer beautiful, spacious, well maintained rooms with different views. You can always upgrade to a bigger room or one with a better if you wish to. Since we were only staying for a night we didn't mind our partial sea view. Staff is welcoming, amicable and kind. Despite our early arrival prior to check in time, seeing we had a baby, they allocated a room and allowed us to check in. The hotel has a stunning sky bar that opens from 7pm. My girls and I enjoyed a quite aperitivo accompanied by nice Italian music and inclusive assorted bites before stepping out for dinner. We woke up to a breakfast buffet like no other. Everything was just sumptuous. Whatever you do, don't miss breakfast! We couldn't have wished for a better stay. Thank you Best Western Hotel Tiguillo. A special thanks to the Front desk.

Great location for the town of Rapallo, great location for the region. Hotel can help with tours and reservations - help you with train and ferry schedules, anything you need. Very friendly and multilingual - they even helped us find a pharmacy and translate when my wife got a bit of a cold/allergy attack. Breakfast is generous - but there is no restaurant. There are multitudes within a short walk. Bar service is a bit thin - it is on the roof, which is beautiful, weather permitting - which is most of the time - but it doesn't open until 7:00pm. Parking is off premises. Highly recommend this hotel.

Nice Hotel on a good location. They try to upgrade your reservation to a bigger , nicer room. of course a little more expensive. They let you see a room that is not cleaned up with a strange window with a view to a wall. And a bed were already was slept in. But they 're not pushing it so we get the standard room on the 7th floor , that was ok for us. It was noisy and certainly not the best night we ever had. Small bathroom but it's ok. Good for one night, not for a week. Breakfast was more than ok.

Excellent service, the Hotel has been fully remodeled, is just in the best part of Rapallo, the staff is excellent, you can walk to the Lungo Mare . The rooms are big this was my 3 time that I use this hotel

Rented a car in Genoa, wanted dinner in portofino without hotel price. Elena extremely helpful. Large room hardwood floors. Great sheets and duvet. Loved the brand new rooftop bar views highest in area. Easy to get to cinque terre the next morning.

Stayed at here for three nights. Hotel is in an excellent location only a short walk from the train station and very central. Our room was light, and bright with a balcony and views of the harbour. The breakfasts were the best we have had in Italy and all the staff are just delightful.From Elisabetta and Elena on the front desk, through to the house maids and the breakfast staff in the morning. Clean tidy rooms in a central location are important but if the staff don't have the personal touch it's not worth a cent.

I would say that this is one of the best hotels in Rapallo. The location is just perfect. Close to a dozen restaurants and just a few hundred meters to the Portofino ferry. The hotel is clean and modern and the staff is very friendly. If you are planing to stay here pls ask for an ocean view room as the views are very nice. Valley parking!

The location was unbeatable right on the sea front and 5 minuts walk to the train staion. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was modern and spotles . great breakfast buffet with option to eat outside on balcony overlooking the bay of Rapallo.a the staff Lucca, Elizabeth and Irena were friendly and very helpful! Entering the hotel reception is like walking in to a calm oasis. The reception staff were efficient and welcoming, nothing felt like it was rooming trouble. The rooms were exactly as described. It is well worth paying for the sea view and balcony. The air conditioning keeps the room very cool and when you need to shut out the noise of the town the soundproofing does the trick. Breakfast was amazing, so much choice and really good value. Again, the staff were faultless. All in all - a fabulous stay. I couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Arrived here and unloaded bags quickly using parking spaces outside. We were then told we should use the public car park opposite the hotel and we'd get a special rate of €12 a day (the price on the parking meter said €10 for 24hours!) During check in we had a VERY persistent receptionist trying to upgrade us to a deluxe room for an extra €50 a day. We declined but he did keep trying again and again. We eventually managed to get away and finally reach our standard double room which was located on the seventh floor. The room itself was clean although I would say rather small. The biggest negative would definitely of been the noise coming from the floor directly above us which was the 'sky bar.' We didn't have any view but didn't expect to because the receptionist made it very clear we wouldn't unless we upgraded. We did use the sky bar once and can't deny the views from there are amazing and it had a lovely atmosphere. Drinks are quite expensive though. I think a small bottle of beer was €8. The wifi was very poor and dropped out regularly but didn't complain as it was free. Breakfast wasn't included but I did have breakfast there on our last morning and it only cost me €4 and Would say it was good value for money.

We stayed here as a stopover on our way to Cinque Terre from Milan. Unfortunately our flight was delayed, so our arrival in Rapallo was 10 hours later than expected. We barely saw the city (just at night). We were greeted with the most friendliest of staff, and even though we were tired and beaten from our flight delay, still felt a warm welcome. She recommended a restaurant around the corner, that was delicious. The rooms are clean and spacious. Location is directly on the waterfront. They offer parking across the street (for a fee) and were even kind enough to take the keys and park for us! On the next morning, check out day, we accidentally overslept. Jetlag and over exhaustion had us oversleep all alarms and suddenly it was 12:45! When check out is at noon! and I still had to pack up our stuff and shower etc etc! I called downstairs and they were kind enough to extend our check out until 1:30. Although we weren't here for long, our impressions are only positive and if I have the chance to come back, will definitely stay again (and longer)!

Pricey, but perfect location. The city center, as well as the ferry pier, is just downstairs. The staff was helpful, and the manager Luca made everything to make our stay memorable. The buffet style breakfast was good, and excellent value for money. I just read the reviews that there was a "Sky Bar"? Unfortunately we were not aware of that during our stay; otherwise, we would have been there for sure. Fortunately, our room was provided with a balcony, with a full sea view. Amazing. We had a bad idea to let the window wide open when going to the restaurant at night. All the mosquitos got inside, and we have been eaten alive all night. It was a nightmare. Of course, this is not the fault of the hotel, but they should let the customers know about that. I think people don't expect to find mosquitos in Italy, but there are in reality more mosquitos there than in Asia :) The bathroom is the only thing that needs to be improved in my point of view. The shower is not practical at all. Voila! Laura

The Best Western in Rapallo is fairly average by big city standards but it's almost certainly the best hotel you will find in Rapallo. It's right in the centre of town, right next to two small public beaches as well as a private beach where you get discounted rates as a hotel guest. Parking is a bit of an issue. You can try to find somewhere free in town yourself or do as we did and pay €12 per day for them to take care of your car for you and bring it back to the front of the hotel any time you need it. We paid a little more for a sea view room with a balcony and it was well worth it. The room was newly renovated, very comfortable and the view was fantastic. The breakfast is a little limited but perfectly adequate and the coffee is fantastic. The hotel is a lot more expensive than those a little further out of town but you're paying for the location which, in my mind, is worth every penny. Would definitely stay here again.

We visited Rapallo as a group of 9 & stayed at this hotel. Rooms are really clean, new & nice. Excellent housekeeping . Rooms have a good view of the port & sea. Breakfast buffet is very rich & reasonably priced. The staff are helpful and very courteous. I can very comfortably recommend this hotel to anyone.

we stayed in a 2 bedroom suite on the 7th floor, the view was amazing and we had a private terrace, staff were very helpful and friendly, would definitely recommend. The location was right by the promenade and ferry to Portofino and other small towns, so was very convenient.

I highly recommend the Tigullio Royal when visiting the Liguria region of Italy. The staff at the hotel are very nice and are very willing to assist with boat and train schedules. The location is perfect for strolling around Rapallo, hopping on a boat to Santa Margherita and Portofino, or walking to the train station. There are direct trains from Rapallo to the Cinque Terre, Rome and Florence. The rooms are nice with a balcony overlooking the water. There is something for everyone at the delicious breakfast buffet and the lovely ladies in the breakfast room greet you with a huge smile. We are so fortunate to have found this wonderful hotel and can't wait to get back there!

We were fortunate to stay at the apartment ran by the Best Western right in the center of town. We reserved two rooms at the hotel, but since there were four of us Lucca (who works at the front desk) offered us the apartment and told us we would really enjoy it while we stayed our 4 nights in this beautiful town. We had the most wonderful time and the staff were great! They were always very helpful when it came to anything we needed. Each morning we would walk back over to the hotel for their amazing breakfast. The biggest spread of the most delicious foods. Probably the best hotel breakfast I have ever had! When we come back to Italy we will definitely stay here again!

LOCATION: lovely location, we were able to get the ferry to Porto-Fino and walked around the town. Rappallo is a lovely area and plenty of nice bars many good places to eat to suit all tastes. Nice walks along the shoreline and round the town.. ROOMS: we had booked for a basic room which was adequate but for two nights we upgraded to a junior suite with two balconies and sea views. There was a Pillow menu so you could request different types and plenty of info about being Eco aware throughout hotel. FOOD: breakfast was adequate-everything that you would want but waiter was slow to clear plates once you had finished. SERVICE: Friendly, nice staff but appeared a little disorganised at times, but this could be due to language barriers. COST: we found it to be a fairly expensive hotel but would expect this at a sea side resort so near to Porto Fino. OVERALL IMPRESSION: light, airy and modern with enthusiastic staff but on the expensive side.

The Tigullio hotel met all our expectations. It was clinically clean, great and varied breakfast and our room was fantasitc. We had a corner room on the 6th floor with 270 degree view of the city and harbour. The staff was very friendly and helpfull!

This is a top class hotel. I visited with my wife and stayed for four nights. We stayed in a junior suite. We were encouraged to upgrade on arrival but we did pay a supplement. Nonetheless the suite was large with a side view of the sea. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet is good and there is a plus, in that changes are made from day to day. So different items turn up each day. The Sunday buffet in particular was very good. We did experience a problem with our bathroom on our final morning. One of the bathroom units was coming away from the wall. It did not cause us a serious problem and I was pleased to say that once reported the staff were very anxious to sort the problem out. As it was we left early so cannot report on the outcome. Nonetheless I very much had the impression that the problem would be rectified quickly, which in my view reflects well on the Hotel. Would we return? The answer is yes. All of the main sites of Rapallo and services are close at hand. No problem with where to eat and this is a very good hotel with a very good location.

This hotel has an excellent location. It is in the center of the of the waterfront and accessible to everything. We arrived by train and it was only a five minute walk. The rooms are very spacious with enough storage space, but most importantly, spotless. A great buffet breakfast is included. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. I would definitely stay here again.

Friends and family were confused when I booked a "Best Western". But this hotel in Rapallo proves I know what I'm doing. Nice rooms. Not fancy. But generous in size, clean, efficient, and a nice bathroom. The location is very convenient, 5 min walk from train station and on the waterfront. And huge breakfast buffet for only €4. Well maybe not huge, but huge for that price and of really nice quality. And to make it even better... The staff were amazing. They were all so friendly and helpful. I guess that's how they do things, but to us it seemed like they went above and beyond.

We booked four nights at the Best Western Tigullio Royal and using the hotel's Internet site picked two standard rooms exclusive of the breakfast. When we arrived we were offered the use of the hotel's apartment, consisting of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and terrace, which was located three short blocks from the main hotel. Included in the offer was breakfast at the hotel plus parking all for the same price as our original reservation. Wow! This hotel also has an outstanding staff and we are already planning a return trip. Rapallo is an excellent base for visiting this area of Italy and I highly recommend this hotel.

We had Deluxe room 502 with a small balcony looking to the sea. Check in was efficient and Elisabet was so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotlessly clean and large with a comfortable king bed, a sofa and plenty of storage space and a large desk. The bathroom was lovely with a spa bath and shower over the bath. The free Wifi worked well in our room. The breakfast room on the first floor was bright and the staff were welcoming. The food was fresh and plenty of it, you could order hot food, we didn't and found plenty to satisfy us from the continental offerings. I recommend taking the 30 minute ferry ride to Portofino, a wonderful small fishing village it's a fabulous day out. you can buy the tickets at reception. Take the train to visit the Cinque Terre towns, absolutely lovely.

This hotel is really nice with a wonderful view in front of the beach. Staff are friendly and the location is perfect to go to cinque terre by boat or buy train. There are a lot of good restaurants and bars around.

We stayed in Tigullio Royal during the last week of April 2016 for 5 nights. This hotel !really deserves deserves all the excellent reviews it gets The Best thig is thr service. Although we were a big group with 6 rooms the check in was very quick and efficient. Everything was ready for our arrival. Our cars were taken care of by the staff and immediately taken to the parking near the hotel. Every time we needed the cars it were brought to the front of the hotel. During our stay we were assisted extensively (and always with a smile and good will) by the hotel staff with everythig that we asked including ferry and train infirmation, destinations recommendations and restaurants reservation. We especially thankful to Ellena for the recommendation to visit Portovenere which was "Bellissima !exactly as she said The Deluxe rooms we had were spacious and very modern with balcony and sea . view . The rooms were very clean with the chambermaid taking care of the room twice a day. Thanks also for Elisabeta for all the patience withe reservation and to Mr. Luka the Manager.

I work in travel and have been to many many places, but we had one of the best experiences hear due to the staff and our lovely room we were allocated. It is definitely best paying for a seaview or even side seaview room as the views are amazing. All of the staff could not do enough for you, Elisabetta, Andrea, Helena personal thank you!! The place is spotlessly clean and breakfast beautiful. I will be returning soon!

This is one of the best hotels I have EVER stayed in! I imagined that a chain hotel would be nothing special but how wrong I was! We stayed on the 17 th December 2015. From the reception to the room I was absolutely amazed. We only stayed one night en-route to Florence by car. We were given a superb room-huge! The hotel had been refurbished and it was beautiful! Lovely soft furnishings, pale elegant colors, very comfortable beds and magnificent bathroom. The breakfast room and buffet lacked for nothing! I was so sorry that we were only staying one night. I really cannot recommend it more. We will certainly be returning.

Perfect 22 degree days, a fabulous junior suite with sparkling sea views, and outstanding staff made our four day stay memorable! The hotel is located just off the esplanade so the location is ideal. The ferry to Portofino is a two minute walk away, and train station is just a five minute stroll. On arrival, we accepted the offer of an upgrade to a junior suite and were delighted that we did. The two balconies and having extra room allowed us to truly relax and enjoy the area. The sofa (converts to a single bed), table and two chairs and space made up the living area. The king bed and end tables made up the sleeping area. There was a large TV that swiveled between the two areas. The bathroom was a reasonable size and the shower had a unit with rain shower, hand held shower and shower jets as options. Breakfast was delicious and could be enjoyed either in the breakfast room or the lovely outdoor terrace to enjoy more of the sea views. All the staff we met were charming, competent and professional. We enjoyed extraordinary service from Elisabetha at reception, bookings, ferry tickets, restaurant recommendations, organising laundry to be completed in just a few hours before we left, nothing was too much trouble and all was excellent. We highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

Very nice Hotel, in the city center of the city and in front of the promenade. Staff very helpful, new room and fantastic breakfast with a lot of choices!!! October 2015, A very good breakfast, Unique view of the Sea from the Balcony where you can sit an enjoy , friendly staff and a very location, all these can be a very short review of a delight stay in Rapollo! the rooms are so clean and most of them have a very nice view to the sea.

It was a delight to stay at this clean functional hotel.The location is close to the train station on the front with views of the marina.The breakfast is excellent and reasonably priced.I will be back.The staff were welcoming and it was a pleasure staying at the hotel.

Rapallo is a great place to stay if you want to venture to Portofino or Santa Margherita Ligure. Plenty of restaurants and shops and very close to the ferry service. The staff at the Best Western is very attentive. The breakfast is VERY extensive and accommodates all tastes, well worth the money, and the breakfast room also looks over the harbor. Bellissimo!

Excellent location, staff was friendly and helpful and breakfast was a delight. We were able to walk to get to any of the local shopping, attractions and restaurants. We would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return some day!!

THE LOCATION IS THE BEST THE ROOMS BIGS ANS CLEAN NO BED THINGS TO SAY. THE BREAKFAST WAS WONDERFUL. EVERY THING WAS FANTASTIC. We had a wunderfull stay in this hotel. The hotel has an excellent level. The rooms are spacious and and well furnished. The staff s very kind and professional; able to let u feel confortable. The level quality prize is very good. The position is incantevole. The American breakfast with the gentile und zuvorkommend Mariola was very sympathic, to. They housekeeping service was very efficient and keep attention to little details. I suggest to people to make a stay in this hotel when they visit rapallo.

The Tigullio Royal is ideally located across from the beach in Rapallo, and is in easy walking distance to all of the restaurants and shopping. The staff is first rate and could not have been more helpful. All of their recommendation were excellent. Although the rooms are small they are very efficient. We had a great corner room on the sixth floor facing the harbor and the city. You will no believe the breakfast buffet that is offered each day. Wish all hotel experience we this good. We visited in October so the room rates were off season. Great time of the year to visit Rapallo. Four nights, one of the best rooms in the hotel for about $300 / night.

Pros. Rapallo is a lovely location itself. Sea room was spacious and clean. Good views. Ferry access very close, about 3 minutes walk. Shows designed by NASA. Fancy but great. Dante, front of house outstanding. Breakfast very good. Cons Front of house guy, middle aged with glasses was inaccurate and let the team down. He is fine if your Italian, otherwise avoid. Dante was leagues ahead of him and the lady front of house very efficient. Overall Hotel is a fine choice. Tip Approach Portofino by ferry, it's wonderful. Avoid taxis, they are very expensive here to Portofino.

A fantastic breakfast with a great view of the Gulf of Tigullio. We have stayed here twice as a base for exploring St. Margarita Ligure, Portofino and Cinque Terre. The hotel is very easy to find by driving down the main street in Rapallo to the ocean front Lungomare and the hotel will be on your left side at the end with 3 unloading parking spaces. Then the large parking area is just in front of the hotel with a discounted rate offered by the hotel. Once you park you do not need your car until you leave since the ferries( 2 minutes), bus station and train station are all within a 5 minute walking distance. The ocean view or partial ocean view rooms are fantastic and the regular rooms are also very nice. The staff is very helpful and pleasant and you can purchase your ferry tickets here and charge them to your room bill. All around a very nice and convenient hotel that is a pleasure to stay in and easy to recommend. Rapallo is a very nice and pretty ocean front town on the Italian Riviera.

We stayed in an apartment not in the hotel, but managed by the hotel a few blocks away. The staff were all expert and did their best to accommodate our every need. We had a sumptuous buffet breakfast every morning of our week long stay and it was outstanding. The women who staffed the breakfast made us feel like they were there to insure that every wish was granted. The front desk staff, Elena and Elisabetta couldn't do enough from making reservations at restaurants to printing mapquest directions for us. Luca and Andrea insured that every issue with the apartment was satisfactorily and promptly resolved.

Clean, modern hotel with amazing sea views right on the water. The included breakfast is huge with many options. 3 minute walk to the ferry. The staff is friendly and attentive, remembering numerous personal details during our stay. We were sad to leave our junior suite room which only cost €201 per night.

We stayed at this hotel at the suggestion of a friend. We opted to spend a bit more for a room with a view and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and helpful and always willing to help with attractions or information about the local area. The rooms are not fancy but are well appointed and offer everything you need. The breakfast is a great deal. The hotel is within walking distance (10 minutes easy walk) from and to the train station. Better yet, the hotel is directly across the road from the ferry that can take you to Portofino in minutes or Cinque Terre in under 2 hours (with stops). A great location for visiting this part of Italy.

Very clean and modern, our room was small however it had an excellent view of the waterfront and a nice balcony. Bathroom was clean and modern, however again very small. Staff were all really helpful. The buffet breakfast far exceeded our expectations, with lots of great options. Perfect hotel if your looking for a centrally located, clean, and modern hotel. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again if in Rapallo.

To be honest, Rapallo is not a nice city in comparaison to Santa-Margherita or Portofino but the Best Western is almost waterfront an a small walk from all boat departure to destination of the many port village , even the abbey San Fruttuso and also the Cinque Terre ( altough longer trip) The hotel as been recently renovated and is nice and confortable Very good breakfast in a convenient area with outside terrace Hotel staff are very friendly and helfull Public parking is just in front (easy in and easy out access) fare is reasonnable Restaurant close to hotel are just OK but if you want a treat in a real Italien restaurant I would recommanded the Ristorante ELITE , excellent food at fair price with true Italien cuisine . I found the restaurant using trip advisor and we were please with the evening see my review if you need more info

We searched a quite a lot for a place in Rapallo, and chose this one out of a few that were available... And feel so lucky to have chosen it. Front desk were very helpful and kind, in assisting with dining and general information. Room was clean, spacious. The rain shower being the best to start the day or wash off after a day out. And the breakfast - one of the best ones in hotels generally and in Italy specifically. Great value. Great location. Already looking for the next stay.

We would return to this hotel again in a heartbeat. We had a partial ocean view and the rooms are not only clean but upscale modern in design. The hotel staff is superb and go out of their way to help guests as well as to make sure they are enjoying their stay. And the breakfasts---not enough can be said about the superb breakfast that the Hotel provides from fresh parma ham to cheese to toast, to croissants, to eggs, to fruit, to frittata, etc. You name it they had and all was superb. The hotel takes much pride in servicing their guests. Location is great as well, close to the ocean, restaurants, activities etc. It is the perfect place to stay in Rapallo.
