    « surprised by quality »

When I compared the price at BW compared to the more expensive hotels in the area, I figured the quality was not going to be as good. I was wrong! The room was clean and roomy with all of the necessities that we needed. Great soap and shampoo dispensers in the bathroom - environmentally conscious not to have the little bottles. Breakfast was great - including make your own waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, etc. Employees were friendly and helpful.

« Stayed because of location »

Need to remodel the rooms (room 214 - Had a tear in carpet, musky smell, a/c unit had dirt and grim in vent, the coffee maker had crust and grinds on burner, bed sheets had a cig burn in them.) The breakfast bar should have a different variety and higher quality.

    « Stayed at this hotel 7/26 - 7/28, 2016 for business »

Entire hotel smells like cigarette smoke. Breakfast offering is minimal. Overall cleanliness of the room was sub-par. Booked 3 rooms for 2 nights. Cancelled 1 room for the 2nd night the morning of (well before the deadline for cancellation), received a receipt from the hotel showing they had cancelled the room and credited the $$ when in fact they had not. Once this was determined upon review of the credit card statement, each time I called the hotel to get the credit rectified, I was told I would have to speak to the manager, Nick Patel. Each time I called, I was told he was not in and would be in the next day or the next week. Each time, I was told I could not leave a voice message for him because his voice mail box was full. I have tried to reach this manager 5 times and have yet to reach him or receive a call back. Clearly, this is the M.O. of this hotel. Customer service and satisfaction is not part of their business model. Do not stay at this hotel. Do not recommend.

« Good One in Many Ways »

The hotel is newly renovated with beautiful furnishings, obviously pride and an eye for detail were involved. We stay at a lot of motels so I took notice. The breakfast offerings were the usual fare, but the room was an unexpected treat. Binita oversaw a clean and sparkling environment, pink linen table cloths with glass tops, real china cups and bowls and flatware set out on tables like a sweet tea room. Enjoying a cup of coffee in this environment was a real mood uplifter. Other staff at the hotel was courteous and attentive. It also was a great location, just a couple blocks from a quaint downtown area. Memorable and on my list to stay again when I return to PA next year.

    « Family Visit »

We were traveling home from Italy & stopped to visit daughter. We have stayed at this Best Western Hotel at least 4 different times in the past year. Good solid hotel with good employees. Never had a problem that wasn't handled promptly. Very comfortable bed & pillows. We will continue to stay here when visiting family.

We chose this as a halfway place on our trip. It was easy to find off the interstate, was well maintained, the staff was professional, the room and bed were quite comfortable, the breakfast was plentiful, well presented and delicious. Recommend!

« Stay here if you like the smell of smoke »

This location is excellent. Too bad the hotel isn't. Half the towels were gray, although they seemed clean. Our room was clean and tolerable, but the smell of smoke in the hall was overpowering. The breakfast was very basic, but the breakfast room itself was immaculate and well maintained.

This Best Western was clean and simple. It was easy to find and the rooms were clean as well as the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was satisfying and simple. The Breakfast room had a variety of easy breakfast items, was clean and even the tables were set with real coffee cups. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a simple and clean place to stay, I would recommended this Best Western.

    « A Great Place to Stay! »

Have stayed at this motel several times. Lobby has been remodeled and is very comfortable. Has internet and fireplace. Went to breakfast room early in the morning. Nice and clean. Staff is very helpful. Selection of foods and drinks very good. No problems checking in and out of the motel. When you are in Quakertown PA this motel is a good place to stay!

    « I have,... stayed here before »

I have stayed here before (over 20 years) and nothing has changed. The staff is very helpful with extra request, like pillows, blankets, or where the ice machine is. They've added a breakfast bar, though a little early unless you're an early riser. I had a room on the 2nd floor room 204. It overlooks the driveway and the highway, so the noise from the cars going to the doughnut shop across the street is a little loud at 6am. The carpet has burn marks in it from being a no smoking room! The bed sheet had a 2" hole in it at my right foot! There was no WiFi anywhere I went in the hotel, so I used my MyFi from my phone to connect to my computer. When I tried to print my boarding pass to leave, the complimentary business center's printer wouldn't work. I didn't see an elevator for anyone who didn't want to or couldn't use the stairs. I guess you stay on the 1st floor if you can't climb? And the laundry room is in the basement. Same thing if you can't climb stairs, don't do laundry? The ceiling tiles in the bath room are cracked and stained. I mean for 80-85$ a night, you could spend a few hundred dollars and replace all of them in the entire building with a moisture-proof tile like used in kitchens and wet places (showers)!

« Bit dingy in Quakertown »

We stayed at the Best Western Quakertown last week, which is right off the main drag, outside of Main Street. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, but the hotel is a bit dingy, and some of the carpeting needs to be replaced. The upstairs rooms are non-smoking, but in the middle of the night I could smell smoke coming up somehow from a downstairs room. Hallways are not quiet if there are people talking or slamming their room doors shut. (There is NO elevator, if you have a disability ask for the ground floor.) There was a missing light bulb in the large room lamp, and the hairdryer didn't work. The "hot water" was only very warm, and the water pressure poor, partly due to the fact that half the water was going down the drain because it wasn't moving up to the shower head. These kinds of things ought to be noticed by hotel staff. Breakfast was standard BW - waffles, bagels, muffins, cereal, etc. Coffee was OK. I would say that if you want a functional room, stay here, but otherwise you might want a prettier location and/or some charm.

    « Great Employees »

The employees are very helpful and polite. The hotel has been updated and very clean, but towels need to be updated. This hotel is conveniently located to shopping areas and restaurants. We plan to stay here when we travel to this area,

    « full breakfast »

I thought the room was nice but had a little musty smell. The sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast said full, I viewed it ahs continental. They ran out of whole milk on sunday am. Full breakfast consisted of waffles. It's ok if you are in a hurry. We went to Dorney Park and it was a good cheap hotel only about 20 min away and was easy to find

« Best Western Quakertown PA »

First, let me say that I am A Best Western Diamond Member and have resided in many Best Western's throughout the country and Canada. I was not recognized as a diamond member at check in and when I told them I was did not seem to generate any response of loyalty. I asked about any perks (per the Best Western website about diamond members) and was told they do not participate. The place is old and not very well taken care of. The towels for instance are very old and badly stained. The breakfast is minimal at best and not very appealing. My biggest complaint is the internet, I travel for business and need it for my work. The system went down at least 6 times in the two days that I was there. There seems to be a faulty access point and it looks like they know about it (as others were complaining during my stay), but will not spend the money to upgrade to a more dependable system. The front office had to reset it many times. The morning of my departure, the internet was down again and the front office gave me the phone number for Best Western tech support to try and fix the problem. I do not think as a customer I should be responsible to fix their internet problems and furthermore, the tech services guy said their system was so messed up that they would not be able to remotely address the problem. This is by far the worst experience I have had at any Best Western and although individually owned Best western corporate should at least establish some minimal standards for all it's facilities. If this is a sign of things to come from Best Western, then my loyalty toward the brand will go to a more dependable hotel chain.

    « Great motel »

This motel is clean, comfortable, and in a good location, near restaurants, gas stations, and stores. We have used this motel many times over the years and plan to continue to return, as it meets our needs. And I very much like that I recognized long standing employees - that speaks highly of an employer when there is not a big over-turn of employees.

« Best Value in Quakertown PA »

Looking for the cheapest Hotel kinda close to www.awkscht.com , once again stayed here with friends. Not really that far from Macungie and was the only place under $100. The desk clerk Shurry and the night manager were very helpful and courteous. Would stay there again next time.
