    « Okay hotel »

Good location, a short walk to the centre. The room was okay, the bed a bit sunken though. The breakfast was bland, but this might reflect the cuisine in czech. The staff were helpful. So just okay nothing special.

« perfectly placed and priced. »

superb location, v nice rooms at excellent price compared to those around. wonderful restaurant in the old wine cellar at exceptionally good prices. a lively little bar in the lobby. all in all i cannot fault this place a real gem.

    « Great Stay! »

Hotel location is perfect, walking distance to everything. Hotel staff was super friendly and helpful from check in to check out. Would definitely stay at this hotel again if I visit, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

« Really friendly with great service »

Stayed at this hotel on a three day break to Prague Staff where always helpful and would always help us with directions to all places of interest rooms where fine had a good nights sleep. Breakfast ok but the buffet was not the best apart from that it is well located to walk to most places and the trams are really cheap too, I would stay there again no problem

    « Perfect location , »

Perfect location for visiting Prague right in the Old Town, restaurants, shops, old square all on your doorstep. Excellent rooms, very modern, everything you needed. Breakfast excellent, great selection. No complaints at all for our 3 day stay. Very helpful and friendly stay.

    « Perfect location ! »

Wonderful hotel, nice rooms, perfect location and good service !. Public areas were clean and the breakfast was perfect !! I didn't get a city view but I guess it's only because of the room category that I booked.

    « Excellent location »

The hotel is quiet, with good wifi and near everything. The train station is just 10 min walk, the tram stops are located near the hotel as well, and the main attractions of the city are nearby. There is a big shopping centre close to the hotel and a lot of local shops. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is an elevator in the hotel and the breakfast is pretty good (buffet).

« good valeu for money »

the hotel is located near every thing (paladiom, shopping, etc) it is not new at all but well organized. the reception staff are very helpful with every question. the breakfast was very good. the wifi worked very good in the lobby and at the room. recommended!!

    « Nice Relaxing Hotel »

This hotel was in a great location, Very clean and very reasonably priced. Breakfast included was very nice although the waiting staff where very grumpy and unnattentive. i would stay here again, mainly because of the location.

    « Wonderful Stay »

Great location downtown. Minutes to major shopping and restaurants. Maybe 10 minutes to the clock tower and square. Toured for 3 days on foot. Staff at the hotel were wonderful. Andrew on the desk was great and helped us plan our day and route. Breakfast was exceptional every morning. The only downside was the really tiny room and only 2 English TV stations, both all news networks. That made it 4* versus 5*. We would gladly stay there again..

« Good standard hotel, centrally placed »

Stayed at this hotel between 7/11 March 2016. Hotel is ideally situated 100m from the powder tower, and therefore a short walk to the city centre and all its attractions. Room was of good size, nicely decorated in the local style. Many would say the room is dated, but I would not, rooms are typical Czech style. Adequate nice sized bathroom, good shower. Comfortable bed. TV and tea coffee making facilities. All in all, very good standard. Breakfast is served between 7/10am, and is self service. There is a vast selection of food to pick from, if you cannot find what you require for your breakfast here, you will never be pleased. Very good standard. Restaurant for evening meals/dinner is located in the cellar. Very traditional feel. Extensive menu, good selection, very reasonably priced, excellently presented, and fast/efficient service. Cosy bar opposite reception, open to midnight/01:00 for residents. Good local beer and wine available, tea/coffee etc etc served with a smile. Really could not find fault with the establishment at all, very comfortable, and very very reasonably priced all round. Would I stay here again, certainly, would I recommend to you, certainly.

    « Great stay »

Great hotel , great location, nice staff, great breakfast, would really recommend. I think this is the place to be in the old town , we had a room facing the courtyard and it was very quiet, no noise in the evening at all The breakfast is a buffet where there is lots of choice from cold to full English.

    « Enjoyed our stay »

Myself and my husband recently stayed for 3 nights. Found the location to be perfect, literally a 1 minute walk from main train station and entrance to the Palladium shopping centre. We explored the city on foot with no need for use of public transport at all. We found the rooms to be well equipped and comfortable. The pillows and duvets were a little light but we requested additions which was no problem at all. The shower was very strong. The wifi was great, we watched Netflix without any interference. The room had team making facilities and a fridge which we found very useful. All in all, we felt we had got exceptional value for money.

    5
    « Excellent value hotel »

We stayed for three nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a cheap pre paid deal and on arrival was upgraded free of charge as rooms were available. Nice room. good internet. Nice décor and lounge for a drink. Lots of choice at breakfast, ample to eat. Excellent location in the centre of town. Good restaurants and shops a few minutes walk. Would use again and recommend to anyone who wanted a hotel in Prague.

« Geat location at a geat price »

The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of many attractions. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included which was a plus. It is a bit loud sometimes with the slamming of doors by other guests.

    4
« Great location, clean hotel, friendly staff »

Lovely hotel not far from the main Square. Hotel very clean, staff friendly & helpful. Rooms are spacious enough, free tea & coffee, beds comfy and shower is hot and fast flowing. Breakfast is varied, hot & cold buffet, lots of different choices. Bar prices are very reasonable, 2 glasses of wine and a bottle of water £5.00.

« Best Western Meteor Plaza Prague »

The staff and central location of the Meteor Plaza makes for an excellent hotel. The staff are personal professional and welcoming and all that Prague has to offer is on the doorstep. What a find, didn't realise how good until we were there, non of the write ups made it clear. If its value and to experience the wonders of Prague you want,, then this is the hotel for you. We travel much and do not offer praise unless earned !! On this occasion it was well deserved.

« Elegant and discreet in a great location but a bit fringed on the edges »

In a beautiful and historic part of town. Simple decor but good service and attention to details. You can tell the furniture and style is not so modern. Rooms with plenty of space and comfort. Generous, delicious breakfast. Very helpful staff. Small possible improvements: cleaning supplies and vacuums left all the time in the corridors, one day my wake-up call for 730 occurred at 830 and I was late for a very important meeting (not cool!), should propose the necessary bins for recycling.

    « Average »

Well located, near everything if you want to visit nice places and not walk (or drive) a lot. The only problem I see is that the hotel is quite old and for that reason, the bedrooms are not really nice. You can also understand as a "vintage" bedroom. The breakfast is quite good, lots of different options and with an interesting variety between the days. As it is not expensive and the experience was quite nice, I would recommend this hotel in terms of cost-benefit

    « Czech out Prague »

Great hotel for a city break friendly staff very helpful just a two minute walk to the old town square where it all is .had a lovely two nights would recommend the grand tour they picked you up from the hotel took you up to the castle and boat tour very good guide took about three hours in total well worth the money . Good restaurants near by busy and very good value ask at reception . Also explore the side streets for small cafes and bars where the locals go would definitely go back .

the hotel was in a very good position, pity the hotel didn`t compliment it. long weekend was a Christmas and birthday present combined. room upgraded to a suite, but in all honesty only as good as an average room in a 4 star in Spain. continental breakfast with a small choice of English food. city was well worth a visit , but beware, you can use euros or sterling , change given in crona. which gets me to my next point. they price their wares , just above what a full euro would be, thus giving you a lot of unwanted crona, which are no good in Primark or any other retail outlet in Britain. people were friendly and very helpful, so no complains there. the sooner they go over to euros the better.

« Good Hotel at a Great Price »

The value of the hotel was exceptional. I paid a fair price for a hotel centrally located, great staff, clean room, and free breakfast. I really could not have asked for more. Upon arrival staff were inviting, and lobby area is very nice. Things are up to date, and looks well taken care of. No problems checking in and was given keys to my room. Took the elevator up, and although the room was a bit small, it was fine. The rooms look a little old, and worn, like stained carpets, but you could tell they are well at least well taken care of. The other negative was the lack of English speaking TV channels. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel's location was so great it's within walking distance to anything at all tourist related. Definitely one of the best located hotels, so close to New Town and Old Town. The room itself was kind of small, two single beds, and a small bathroom with shower, but everything was adequate and clean. Wi-fi was pretty good speed, definitely acceptable. House keeping was done on a daily basis by staff that were helpful, and were happy to service the room whenever I requested. Front desk staff were attentive, and helpful with directions around the city. Or anything else, like calling my airport pick up shuttle and making sure everything was in order for me. The free breakfast is exceptional. It's a huge breakfast buffet with just about anything you can think of. Cheeses, cold cuts, breads, yogurt, hot items like eggs, beans, bacon, sausage, and tons of juices and coffees. Definitely one of the best breakfast buffets I have ever had, and was happy that it was included in the cheap price of the room. All in all, I thought I got a great value at a great hotel. Great location, with great rooms, and nice staff. Couldn't really ask for more. I will definitely return, and would highly recommend this hotel to others.

« Good location but beware the fake hotel taxi »

This was the second time I stayed here, mainly because of it's good location and because I had a good impression the previous time. Now, my experience was a bit less positive. I was assigned a rather old room, in (I guess) some older part of the hotel on the 4th floor. When I entered the room, it was very cold. The radiator wasset on maximum but produced almost no heat. There was a small portable heater, which I connected and put at maximum power. After some time, it was possible to get the room warm, although the bathroom remained rather cold. Some things in the bathroom were also worn out. Internet was too slow. The positive thing was that the bed was OK and that it was really quiet during the night. The breakfast was also very good. For returning to the airport, I ordered a taxi at the reception. They told me that this was a fixed price 680 CZK. The taxi came on time, but I was unsure whether it was really the taxi I ordered and I asked a man from the hotel staff about it. He confirmed this and had a short conversation with the driver. Only a minut after we drove away, I realized that this was some sort of illegal taxi service; There was no visible badge of registered taxi within the taxi, there was no meter, the driver behaved untypical, he didn't take the main roads (probably to save road toll), and so on. Arriving at the airport, he asked me to pay 780 CZK (100 CZK more than I was told at the reception), then he also wanted me to pay parking, etc. Of course, I told him that I agreed to pay 680 CZK at the hotel and I did pay no more than this. It is really sad that the hotel staff wants to do such things to their clientele. Therefore I will not stay in this hotel again.

« the hotel is located very central »

the Service was good. the staff at the reception very helpfull. the Restaurant lacked a bit of friendliness. The mattress that I had was TERRIBLE. there was a big dent ôn the side and middle. They should Change the mattresses. The Location is perfect, one can walk everywhere. the spa massage area well....... the Prices are rather deceiving

    3
    « some changes »

the Hotel is situated in the Center, one can walk everywhere, within Walking distance to the Charles Bridge, Wenceslas Square, the astronomical clock, the Jewish Quarter, the Paladium mall-it's great- ist right down the road from the Hotel. the staff at the reception were friendly and helpfull. the massage/spa area!!! the offers are very deceiving, they advertise a Price but then you're told "oh this is based on 2 People" this Needs to be changed.

    « Mr Curry »

Very clean with helpful staff. Great location with easy access to all attractions. My 2nd visit and it didn't disapoint. Trams Taxi's all accessible. Shopping centres 3 min walk old town square 5 min walk.

    « Nice atmosphere »

The hotel is in a perfect location just a short walk from the beautiful old city. We had a relaxing 4 nights here, the breakfast was included (food was amazing!!!) staff really helpful and the room was comfortable and clean. Perfect choice for a long weekend in Prague!

    4
« Good value for your money »

Stayed here for three nights in January for a city break. Meteor Plaza is in perfect location only few minutes walk to the Old town square, you can walk to almost all of the most important sights and the tram&metro are also close. Breakfast is all you can ask for, with some small differences daily which we thought was a nice touch. The room was basic but clean. Staff at the reception and at the breakfast is friendly and helpful. Good value for money, would stay here again.

    4
« Best location in town! »

This hotel is close to almost everywhere you want to see in the center of Prague! The room is not so big but it is clean! It has clean sheets and clean towel which are two of the most important elements of my hotel stay. There are free teas and coffee as well. The breakfast is good as well especially its super black coffee! It also has a small bar that serves cocktails:) It is just a few steps away from the Prague Municipal Hall, Divadlo Theater, Czech Central Bank and the famous Powder Tower. Just next to the Divadlo Theater as well is the metro station that can get you easily from one place to another. We booked this hotel through Easyjet and indeed, it is easy on the pocket!

    4
« In the heart of Prague »

Located in the heart of Prague, 5 minutes walking from the astronomical cloak. Perfect for a weekend of tourism. Receptionist staff is very kindly but I can't say the same about waiters and cleaning team. Dining room is very useful and cheaper if you are too tired to go out in the evening.

  • 3
« More Minus than Plus »

A pokey little room, with dodgy heating, and the only view is the other guests bedrooms. The breakfast food was nothing to shout about either. But to be fair, I did not find much of the Prague food to my liking. The one good thing that it was only a short walk to the Old Town. But watch where you eat around the Old Town Square, prices can be steep.

    3
« Great location, a bit older equipment, good value for money »

This is perfect location at Prague city center, close to historical center as well as railway stations. Hotel has a bit old equipment but everything works. It matches good value for money. There is number of hotels that are better and more expensive and hotels cheaper with lower level. There was very nice staff at the reception when checking out. The invitation when checking in could be more warm considering claimed **** and Best Western standards. Anyway, it's about people. The stay was good, great location, breakfast very good, all the equipment at the room worked.

    3
    « Short-Stay in Prague »

We visited for 4 nights in January. The hotel is well situated just a couple of minutes walk from Old Town Square in the centre of Prague. The check-in and check-out is very smooth and the team on reception helpful and polite. The room we had was an upgrade and consisted of an additional sofa bed, which meant the room was larger than standard. The room was comfortable and had everything that is needed for a short-break, although tea / coffee refills were hit and miss. The Lobby bar is ok for drinks, reasonable in price and you get a BOGOF on your first cocktail on arrival. Breakfast is served as a buffet, and has plenty of variety and food on offer, from hot to cold, toast, fruit, cake, pastry and rolls. The restaurant was closed whilst we were visiting, so we did not use this facility, For the price paid, can't really fault it.

    5
    « Great Place »

I've stayed here twice in the past year (Summer and Winter). The location is excellent; close enough to walk to the Old Town, yet situated in a place where you wont have too many tourists pass by. The breakfest is excellent with lots of selection including fresh fruit. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. We had a garden view, so it was very quiet. I'd be happy to stay here again.

    5
« Perfect hotel, Perfect location »

We stayed at this hotel for a short break during December in time for the Christmas Markets. The hotel was in a perfect location just a few minutes walk from where the Airport Express bus drops off and also for the 10 minute walk to the main train station where the bus back to the airport leaves from. The Old Town, (where the main Christmas Market was located) was a 5 minute walk away through the lovely Powder Tower. The Hotel looks small from the outside but it is lovely inside and has a wonderful history of its own to share. The Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming and the staff in the hotel bar were very attentive as we enjoyed a cocktail (or two) after a busy day of sightseeing... The Room was large with comfortable beds, a fully stocked mini bar and the bathroom and shower was exceptionally clean and a high standard.... our room was serviced each day with nice little gestures like chocolates left for us.... The breakfast was one of the best breakfast buffets we have had..... everything from hot cooked breakfast to pastries to continental breakfast.... the breakfast room staff were very friendly and efficient. If you are looking for a hotel near the Old Town then this has to be the one, it is central to everything and in a quiet, safe location. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Prague.

    4
« Good Base to See Prague »

Enjoyed 2 nights here, cheap and excellent location. Recommended for a budget, central location. Didn't try the food so cannot comment on that. Rooms are larger and clean and tidy. The hotel arrange airport transfers, this was cheaper than paying a taxi at the airport.

    5
« Nice hotel situated close to the old town »

Nice warm clean double room, with tea and coffee making facilities. Friendly reception and bar staff (restaurant staff could have smiled more). We stayed over New Year, and on New Year's Day and the 2nd January there was Champaign and strawberries on offer at breakfast. Plenty of choice at breakfast, hot and cold buffet. The hotel is close to the old town and market, and about 5 minutes to Wenceslas Square. About 10 ? 15 walk to Charles Bridge. No complaints. I would book this hotel again next time we visit Prague.

    4
    « City visit »

We enjoyed this hotel as it was located ideally, had friendly service , clean and tasty breakfast and so is good value for money. They gave us a free bar voucher and gifts in our room , although perhaps as it was over Christmas. The desk arranged taxis from the airport for about £23 each way. There a good snack shop opposite which is handy I would recommend this if you wanted to visit Prague

    4
« One of the best hotels in Prague that close to the OLD and NEW town in Prague. »

The highlight of this hotel is the location. We can reach the Old town square within minutes as well as Wenceslas square. Restaurants and cafes are around the hotel. Palladium shopping mall can be reached within minutes. Charles Bridge can be reached within 10-15 minutes. The room is in a good size and CLEANLINESS is great! When we came on Dec24, there were Christmas Cookies on the table. We found it really welcoming. The receptionists were really friendly and helpful. I called her for mass information and she got back to me with information needed quite fast. Breakfast may be the only 'down' side for us as we expected more (Perhaps we expected too much for 'German frühstück'). However, everything is there, from warm and cold dishes, from salad to bread. I love the special czech sausages that serve everyday. We found the breakfast area a bit 'cold'. The waiters/waitress were not that 'friendly' (they were polite). No smiles...no greetings 'Good Morning...etc.), whilst we always say that whenever we enter the breakfast room (but...no answer unfortunately).

    4
    « Very good value/price »

Excellent location (near city center and railway station). Good room with tea table, fridge, bath. Frendly staff. Excellent breakfast, especially - sausages, bread, fruits. Bad was too soft. Cofee at lobby - weak.

« Excellent location. Great value. »

We stayed here for three nights in December 2015. The hotel fantastically located: two minutes from The Powder Gate and the opulent Obecni Dum concert venue, cafe, bar and restaurant. There is good shopping nearby including a supermarket. The hotel is walking distance to the Old Town square, the river and Charles Bridge. Our room was quiet with free WiFi, fridge and flat screen TV. Breakfast was included and was one of the best buffet-style breakfasts we've ever experienced in any hotel with a great selection of hot and cold items. If you get up for early breakfast you earn a free Aperol spritzer! We will definitely stay here again.

    1
    « Terrible customer Service »

I couldn't attend the hotel at all due to Storm Desmond Cancelling my flight at Dublin. The staff were very unhelpful and refused to offer any refund or alternative dates etc.. Will never book through them again on this experience.

    4
« A visit to Prague to meet and old friend and celebrate my birthday ..... and to visit the Christmas markets! »

Very convenient hotel to both shopping areas and the old town and the river. Long, long walk through the hotel to the bedroom BUT the room was fresh and clean and very comfortable. It was also quiet as it overlooked an internal open courtyard. The only negative was the fact that old fashioned bleach was used to clean the lovely bathroom and boy, did you know it when the door was opened. Excellent wi-fi and clean bedding and the room was changed / cleaned when it suited me! Breakfast buffet was superb with a huge array of dishes, friendly and efficient waiting staff. Could not be faulted. Small intimate bar by reception serving excellent coffee and apple strudel and again superb staff. The same can be said for an efficient, friendly and helpful reception staff who, incidentally arranged my collection from the airport. All in all, a great experience. Thanks to all concerned.

    4
« Good hotel in good location »

This hotel was in a good location near The Powder Tower and a short walk to Old Town Square with Astronomical clock, Wenceslas Square and about 15 minute walk to Charles Bridge. Fair selection at breakfast- usual cold meats and cheeses plus salad, fresh fruit, cakes including apple strudel! scrambled(bit undercooked) and fried eggs, bacon, frankfurters, beans(hard!), various cooked peppers and veg. plus usual cereals and dried fruit and yoghurt. Only downside was couple of times corridor smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Overall good with helpful staff. We took the airport express bus, only 60 Koruna each and stops about 5 minute walk away at last stop.

    4
« Long weekend in Prague »

Excellent stay over the Advent weekend. Good location for all the sights. Christmas market very interesting and loads to see in the streets and squares. Hotel very clean and comfortable. Service excellent. Breakfast in the hotel - wide choice and no risk of starvation.

    5
« Lovely place to stay »

We came to Prague for a long weekend to see the Christmas markets and stayed here as it was just a little bit out from the centre but not far to walk. The staff speak good English and we booked the hotel car to pick us up from the airport. Pay the driver cash and don't put it on your bill as they add vat. The rooms are warm and comfy with toiletries, tea and coffee making and a mini bar which is surprisingly inexpensive should you wish to use it. Breakfast is continental with their own twist on a cooked breakfast, poached eggs, bacon, beans sausages and fried cauliflower! The small bar is open 11am til 1am and you can have coffee and cake in the afternoon. There is a restaurant open in the evening but most people went into town. Wifi is available all over the hotel free of charge.

    4
« Ideal hotel for what we required »

This hotel suited our needs for a four night visit to Prague. It was ideally located for all our requirements, The staff were friendly and efficient and the room was of a decent size, warm and comfy. It was lovely to open the curtains to a lit Christmas tree! It set the mood for our stay. The bathroom was absolutely fine with a very efficient shower. The breakfast bar was plentiful and varied.

    4
« Good value for a budget trip to Prague »

We stayed here as part of a four night EasyJet trip from Bristol to Prague. Hotel is very near the centre and is OK provided you are not expecting luxury. The hotel is in an old building, rather tired, wifi slow, very nice friendly and helpful staff, good choice for breakfast, warm room, comfy beds and excellent bathrooms. Very good value, no complaints.

    3
« Good location, ok hotel »

We spend 3 nights in this hotel and everything went well. The location of the hotel is great: the subway station is near by as also the old town and it's sights. The breakfast was diverce, however the quality of the food was not so average. The room was really quiet, but quite small and the bed wasn't really cosy. The hotel had free wifi which was nice!

    3
    « Convenient location »

Stayed here for two nights. The hotel is lcoated approximately 15 minutes walk to the old town. The room was a little small and dated. There are two convenient stores within few minutes from the hotel.

We stayed at the Best Western Meteor,in tThe Czech Republic 4th to 7th Nov 15. I must say we look for Best Western hotel,s when we are having a city break and find them excellent, they are spotless, food hot & cold breakfast, the beds are amazing, especially the one in the meteor Prague, the staff were lovely very friendly, helpful , knowledgable. The Hotels are most certainly value for money and usually ideally situated for sightseeing. I would recommend The Best Western Meteor plaza, our stay was lovely and it was an excellent hotel

    4
    « Nice hotel »

Stayed here with my girlfriend earlier this year, great location and very pleasant stay. Our room was tastefully decorated and very quite, basic breakfast but did the job. There's a great pub opposite which has a open fire which was very welcoming after a day sightseeing in the cold.

    3
« only for the location »

there is nothing to love about this hotel, except the location, which was very good for us, attending a wedding nearby; rooms are small, the whole hotel needs a refresh, some work was in progress, wifi is weak, don't plan on doing any work online; in the summer Prague is really crowded so do not expect great staff on reception, they are short of trained people

    4
« The last of the Best Western hotels »

This hotel is the last of the Best Western hotels that I will be visiting in Europe this year and I can say it did not disappoint. It is within close proximity to the old town and the main railway station. I was given a room on the second floor which was more than adequate for my needs. It was quiet, relatively spacious for a small person like me, the WIFI was great and the range of toiletries on offer were better than expected. The breakfast was superb and I thoroughly enjoyed the range of food on offer. The reason why I rated this hotel 4/5 rather than 5/5 was simply because of the problems I encountered with two of the male receptionists and the electronic key card for the door. The first was when I was checking in, I was obviously the first person in the queue and when the male receptionist on duty (the night of 2 October) finished with the guest he was dealing with, he decided to bypass me and go to the guests after me. I soon made it known that I was unhappy with this and as a result he then decided at an instance to deal with check-in for me. The same male receptionist on duty on the night of 3 October did something similar again and again I made he aware of my dissatisfaction with his conduct. The second male receptionist on the morning of 3 October 2015 when I asked him for directions to the tourist office, he proceeded to ask me why did I need to go there and then attempted to sell some of the tours that the hotel were offering to me. If I wanted to buy a tour from the hotel I would have done so was my response. The final gripe that I had with this hotel was that during the 2 nights that I had spent there I had to change the key card three times due to them becoming inoperable which in my opinion is an unacceptable amount of times to change the key card over a weekend. NB: Saturdays are usually the busiest days in Prague and certainly for this hotel, so please try and ensure that you get to the breakfast room before 08:45 as long queues often form after this time.

« Good base for touring Old Town »

The hotel is 100m from the Powder Tower and the edge of the old town and surrounded by bigger hotels. The breakfast was generous and extensive and there was pleny of space in the dining rooms. Good price on Booking.com Our room was on the 4th floor and, even with the lifts, we have to go up 2 flights of steps to get to it - tricky with luggage and for anyone with walking difficulties. Room was cramped wit hall the furniture and the Air con underpowered so we had to sleep with the windows open.

« Close in and clean »

Prague has many choices of hotels. Many are large business chain types. Many excellent hotels are found in the outlying areas. This hotel has the benefit of being really close to the Old Town area, a few blocks from the hop on hop of bus, and part of a international chain that allows advance reservations, and significant discounts. Having a hotel so near to the main tourist activities that you can walk everywhere, and not hesitate to return occasionally for rest stops.makes your stay less stressful.

« Some goods, some bads »

Within 2 mins walk from Wenceslas Square and 10 mins from Old Town Square. Fabulous champagne and wine bar/restaurant next door!! Rooms small but beds very comfortable, shower room modernised and tea/coffee, hairdryer, mini bar, safe in room plus free wi-fi throughout hotel. Cannot control heating or air conditioning in rooms from October - rooms so hot but reception just said to open a window! TV in room with19 channels but only 4 English speaking channels - 3 news and there should have been one movie channel except it is no longer available and is a religious channel instead. Reasonable cooked breakfast and good choice of cereals, Danish pastries and range of teas but slow to replenish plates, glasses, saucers. No concierge in reception but there is a porter.

    « Prague Stay »

Good location close to the Power Tower. Ideal for a short stay and just make the 4* grade. Breakfast disappointing and even in October, the breakfast time was busy though the food reasonable, but no pancakes - American chain!. Restaurant adequate, but choice of fare a little disappointing and little choice, and local. The waiter could have played a part in "Fawlty Towers"and brought a smile. Lobby bar unattractive and rather squashed although this seemed to be a short-term matter as I think the front door was been repaired. Would have liked to have seen the patio in use with heaters, if warranted.

« Great location disappointing service »

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in September '15. We chose it because of the Best Western tag and its location on the map - wlking distance to most of Prague's sites. The hotel was indeed very close to most sites - Republiky, old Town Square and Wenceslaus Square. Even Prague castle was walkable though a little further. The rooms were OK and the breakfast (included) good. The one thing that put us off was the attitude of some of the front desk staff. We had to leave at 4:00 am to catch an early flight and because we did not ask for a hotel arranged pick up, the man at the desk just shrugged his shoulders and told us to go out on the streets to search for one. Luckily there was a taxi close by. In addition there was no on to help with bringing our bags down. Despite lifts our room required some stairs to be negotiated and we were left lugging suitcases down these stairs - not pleasant at 4 in the morning when both are over 65 years!

Excellent location to main sights in Prague. Walking distance to both Old and New town squares. Clean hotel. Excellent breakfast and overall friendly helpful staff. In particular Klara Synackova who provided for all our needs.

« Great location but disappointing hotel »

The location is fantastic with this hotel, not far from the metro, train station or airport express bus stops. However the entrance is small as is the bar. Rooms are also small but do have kettles which is a bonus. Breakfast is disappointing but staff are friendly. Don't use the mini markets, just over he road through the archway is the billa supermarket which has much more reasonable prices and open till late.

« Lovely hotel in the right place for all that Prague has to offer. »

Really helpful reception staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms are very clean, warm and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and great hot water showers. Spoilt for choice at breakfast time, croissants, pastries, cereals and hot cooked breakfast of local sausages, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and a few bizarre options like cake, roasted Mediterranean vegetables, cheesy cauliflower etc. You will be well set up for the day after breakfast.

« Great location, great value »

This hotel is ideally placed near enough to the old town but also just outside the hustle and bustle. It is also handy for King Wenceslas Square. The hotel itself was also a pleasant surprise for the price. The room was a good size, clean and well furnished. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the breakfast had a good selection and the lobby bar was a nice place to start or end the evening. We also tried the restaurant on the first night, again no complaints - the food was very nice and reasonably priced. Overall, more than we expected for the price we paid for a 5 night stay.

    « A small piece of History »

A quaint old place with a lot of history dating back to the 1300's and very clean comfortable beds. You can walk anywhere, anytime in this City that is full of tourists trying to capture the essence of past. Breakfast is included and that's the best meal to start out walking on, then come back to the hotel after a full day of sightseeing and get comfy in the wine cellar for some good ole home cooking. We can see why Prague is the 5th most visited City in Europe. Best Western you did it again.....thanks for the memories with son, daughter in law and soon to be grandson

    « A short visit to Prague »

My partner and i decided to go on a short visit to Prague - a really beautiful and pedestrian friendly city. We booked our flights and hotel (Best WesternPlus Hotel, Meteor Plaza) on the easyJet website. We were delighted to find that the hotel is in easy walking distance of all the imprtant tourist sights except for the castle which needs a whole day on its own. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and both arrival and departure were quick and easy. The room and facilities were comfortable, well fitted, and very clean. Breakfast was ample and varied. Excellent value for money.
