    « Was here for dinner only »

    Nice and friendly staff, good food. I had a Shrimp ceviche and pina colada. Yummy. Nice view. Nice place to sit at night. I recommend to sit in the roofless area so you can enjoy the breeze and lighting. Staff speak english very well.

    This was a good experience overall. All of the public and private areas were great looking and well appointed. The prices of the food and drink were somewhat inflated, but the quality was good. The internet was merely decent. Wifi strength was only adequate in places, and the bandwidth barely supported video streaming. The staff was great and the manager seemed attentive to all of our needs.

    This was my second stay at the BW in Petion-ville. Both times I have been very grateful for the staff and the quality of the amenities. I feel very safe in the hotel. The food is good. The service is wonderful.

    « Our return to the "Unexpected Gem" »

    We just returned from our second visit to Best Western Premier Petionville and it was just like returning home. We were welcomed with a cold refreshing drink and Chimene at the front desk made checking-in a breeze. Our room was ready and the air condition was just what we needed after a long trip. I just love their attention to detail and the room is just so clean and fresh. I love the chocolate kisses at bed time so special. Later that evening we went to dinner at the Le Michel restaurant and the service, food and ambiance was wonderful. Our server Pierre Jackson and Samuel really helped us to make our meal choices by explaining the menu, please try the chicken wings with the Banne Peze, Fried Ockra and that spicy Piklis and the Jan Jan Rice. I love Haitian Cuisine and I looked forward to the smiling faces of our servers and to learn a little about Haiti. Pierre Jackson really took the time to make our dining experience special and it was really appreciated. Our five night stay was a culilinary experience and the drinks are great. My compliments to the General Manager Tamara Magloire, who we had the pleasure of meeting for running such a Top Notch hotel and for having such a great staff. We are looking forward to our third visit.

    Hotel staff is truly great, friendly and accommodating. Lobby nice, rooms stylish enough, everything works well especially the airco and great to have a small fridge. Hallway carpets in sad need of cleaning/replacement. Bathrooms with walk in shower are pretty Haiti chic! I'll be staying here again for sure!

    I often stay at this hotel for work, and appreciate the convenient location, amenities, and outdoor terrace. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, in particular Jean-Luc Benoit, one of the waiters. Highly recommend!

    This is my 3rd state at the Best Western in Haiti. The service is always excellent . Great location not to bad with traffic which is normal in Haiti. Close to my favorite Haitian bakery . They have great happy hour and the food is amazing .The rooms are super comfy and clean . I truly recommend this hotel for business or leisure .

    This was my second time here in about a year. This time was worst than first. Last April when I was here, there was no hot water. This time in August of the following year....same problem. Taking cold showers should not be the standard. Last year I complained about hotel staff entering my room without permission. This time a year later in August, 11:45 pm, I'm in my room buck naked and a technician just opens the door and comes in. I reported this to the front desk who said he went to the wrong room for maintenance. Very alarming especially when crime and kidnapping are common. Service is very poor. They charge you an "extra" energy fee which they require cash and it's not your hotel bill. I'm not sure who in the shadows that this fee goes to but it feels like extortion. I paid $400 for my two rooms for one night. Lunch cost me $200 for two people. (Burgers, wings, and two drinks a piece). My complaints were not addressed adequately. They offered to give me the $10 extortion fee back and refund my breakfast which was $50 for steak and eggs and French toast. I declined their weak gesture. Instead requested a shuttle to Karibe Hotel which is where I am now. Karibe is my hotel of choice in Haiti. Best Western lures you in because you think since they charge the most in Haiti, they must be the best. They are actually worst. As I see the reviews on the page, I wonder who really wrote them. I am just thankful for the shuttle they gave me to change hotels.

    Clean, comfortable room with AC that kept things cool! Daily water bottles were a plus. Staff, particularly Robert Desir and Edouard Junior, were very helpful with information about the area. Nice little deck bar for Prestiges, and good food too!

    We stayed there for three(3) wonderful nights during our two weeks vacation in Haiti. That was wonderful. It is a good place to stay, staff members are professional, service was wonderful, parking is easy, security was excellent. a special thanks to Junior and Robert.

    « The staff here are fantastic »

    The staff here were really what made staying here so nice. They are SO friendly and helpful. The hotel has a quaint little pool and also a fitness center, which is fantastic for a hotel in PaP, since it's pretty hard to get much exercise out and about in the city. It has a lovely outdoor terrace bar and restaurant. The rooms are very clean and well maintained, and they also have a fridge, which is handy. Definitely a chain hotel, but it has everything you could need and its location is fantastic too - a block from Giant Supermarket and Place Boyer, where there are some great restaurants, in particular Quartier Latin, which is lovely.

    Everything is as good as you would expect from an international chain hotel, but there are definitely cheaper options (in the same area!) that are just as good - not only other chain brands, but also individual local hotels. If you are on a budget but still decide to stay here, then book online as prices are lower, and go out to eat as the hotel restaurant is rather pricey (and really not that great considering the things you can find around). Other than that, no complaints though - very comfortable and clean, great service, friendly staff, well located in the heart of Petionville near many restaurants and supermarkets... the list goes on.

    Rooms were modern, spacious and comfortable. Loved the pillows. Food was great but a bit pricey. Ice was ok to consume which was a plus, given that this is a third world country. You get better prices by booking online, even if you are extending an existing stay. Staff spoke English which was definitely a plus. Even Bellmen were courteous and helpful. Robert Desir was particularly attentive when we were checking out. Gave us great tips about where to go, shop and change money. Would definitely stay there again.

    Hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, welcome drink was great, and the room was clean. Everyone was helpful when I was unable to print my boarding pass. I really appreciated that. It is also near a grocery store to buy coffee to take home on the way to the airport from what I was told by people that I was travelling with.

    The service was exellent, the people were very friendly and nice. I actually came to watch a soccer game and had a lot of fun even though I was alone.The Bw burger at "Le Michel" was out of this world, I also had the chicken wings which were very good aswell. All in all, great hotel with great restaurant.

    We recently stayed at the Best Western while visiting Port-au-Prince an Petion-Ville. It's a new, upscale hotel, conveniently located. The staff was great, the restaurant good, and the bar, fun. It's walking distance to some parks and restaurants (a real plus in our book).

    I stayed for a week at the Best Western Premiere - Petionville. The staff were very professional and courteous and made my first stay in Haiti confortable and enjoyable. The location of the hotel is excellent for seeing Haiti. Lots of fascinating galleries around as well as restaurants. The Giant Supermarket just a few blocks away is convenient for longer stays.

    « Worst hotel experience ever »

    I travel a great deal and this the worst hotel I have ever experienced. I am also a retired University Professor in Tourism & Hospitality. I was in Port-Au-Prince to help build playgrounds for traumatized children, so I was looking for a place to relax when not in the field. My problems began before I ever set foot in Haiti. I called to make shuttle reservations before I left the U.S. I received an email informing me that the shuttle does not operate on Sundays (even though the website says that it also available). I had to rely on a Haitian friend, even though he had to leave his family on Mother's Day. When I got to my room I found a large puddle of water in my room. The maintenance person cleaned up the water, however I asked for a new new room. I was moved to a room directly under the room I was in previously. There was a puddle of water in this room, however I did not want to move again. So I used a towel to wipe up the water. I then decided to relax with a swim, however I was informed that the pool was closed. When I reported my experience to the front desk the manager sent me note with list of items which I could choose from to take care of misfortunes; this included a free coffee or a bottle of water or fruit of the day, etc.. I was offended by these tokens. The staff for the most part tried, especially internet fixer, Robert Desir, however the hotel needs a total makeover and does not designation of Premier

    I have nothing but good things to say about my stay at Best Western Petion Ville. The staff is professional. Service came always with a smile. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable. The food was good and reasonably priced. The portions were more than I could eat. The decor is pleasant.

    « Not bad considering the challenges »

    I would probably be harsher, but the hotel is OK given the operating and logistical challenges it must have to overcome to survive in Haiti. My room was spacious and clean and fairly quiet. The A/C was reliable and there was a good supply of hot and cold water. The bed was pretty comfortable. I also got strong Wifi service in my room. The hotel was a welcome respite from the complete chaos in the surrounding area. I had been told that Pietonville was a more affluent part of Port-au-Prince and it certainly was. But it is by no means a nice or relaxing area in which to stay. The hotel is surrounded by several busy roads, and walking is difficult and downright dangerous. There were no real restaurants to speak of in the immediate area, so I ended up eating dinner in the hotel's restaurant every night. The food was mostly average, no better or worse than you would find at an Olive Garden (although the pasta Alfredo with grilled lobster was delicious, but it may have made me sick the next day), but I was taken aback by the New York-level prices. There was also, somewhat incongruously, a modern Giant supermarket a few blocks away. It was cleaner and nicer than most supermarkets in New York! The one major issue I had was with the toilet - it barely flushed. Also, I saw a few roaches in my room. Like I said, I could be more critical but given the conditions in the country, the hotel was really not bad.

    The Best Western in PV used to be a better-than-average place to stay, but no longer. The hotel is falling apart at the seams and is in need of a clean up and corrective maintenance. Even the staff's uniforms need replacement. The food has gotten worse. The only redeeming feature is the general professionalism of the staff.

    The hotel itself was just a hotel. Nothing fancy but very comfortable. A little bit pricey. The staff was very helpful. The only thing I did not like was the fact that the staff thought that they saw money when we (Americans) walked into the hotel and had requested that we pay at check in. Once we got that ironed out that we were not going to do that because payment was due upon check out; it was good from there. The hotel did not have enough towels to accommodate our daily usage. Other than that the hotel stay was a good one. I especially enjoyed the hotel restaurant. We stayed at the hotel for 8 days and the waiters and chefs got to know us very well. They had memorized parts of our orders. The food was expensive but entirely worth every penny. We got to know the staff by name!! Dume the chef is a great cook. Pierre, Jean-Luc and Sam; our waiters were the best there. Keep up the good work guys!!! We shall return...

    « Horrible customer service. Double charged!!! »

    At first I thought this was a dream hotel for Haiti. It's beautiful. The pool is clean. The beds are comfy and all the staff seemed nice. That is until we booked for a second night. Jennifer at the front was rude and she wouldn't honor the price we booked online. She overcharged us $10 and refused to change it. Then to make matters worse she ran my credit card twice! I was charged twice for one night. When I called back and spoke with the manager they state they don't have any records of this and won't reverse the charge. I have called multiple times, sent emails and they won't do a damn thing. Complete fraud! I have my credit card company involved now. Such a shame. This place was somewhere I would have liked to return, but the fact they won't take responsibility for their mistake or reverse my double charge makes me want to never return and to warn all others!!!!

    « Not coming back. »

    We spent the holiday here and checked in for one night(good thing). Bathrooms are clean and same with the room but the water supply wouldnt give you time to finish your bath. Water ran out like every time we took a shower. Swimming pool is clean but small. Customer service is very very poor, they'd even take your change if you don't count it. Spa is very expensive and the masseur doesnt know what she's doing. Overall, very bad experience. I dont suggest going here ever for the very expensive price.

    The hotel is nice and clean and the staff is very friendly, it's in the Petion Ville walking distance to restaurants and clubs, the mirror in the bathroom is not bright enough, as a woman we need this, to take care of our face.

    Stayed here after a long trip because it was closer airport . We got in super late and were really cranky but Hotel front made checking in super easy and fast . they even called all the rooms in the morning when our drivers was panicking because none of us woke up . they arranged shuttles for those that were and breakfast amazing . NOTE : Try the Sacha Cocktail at the restaurant !!

    I had a tremendous experience.A good size room very clean.The food was great .Great customer service specially the Shuttle Mr Samuel Francisque , but breathtaking view at night due to gleaming lights .I highly recommend this hotel to any one.When you book your reservation ask the best shuttle who will take you around the city when ever very nice guy smart and good driver Samuel Francisque.

    « Excellent Staff, Comfortable Rooms »

    The multi-lingual staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Alexandre always went out of his way to strike up a friendly chat an see if there was anything I needed. Tamara Magloire and the rest of the staff hosted a wonderful social hour and made sure everyone felt at home. Housekeeping was always courteous and prompt and the turndown service was a nice touch. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. I stayed at BW premier on and off on a 2 week business trip and the view from the front rooms are much better than those in back. The free Wifi is adequately fast for business use and the Terrace café/bar is a nice setting to meet with business clients. The only problem I encountered was that the airport shuttle I requested for my departure did not show up. After a half hour wait, the manager called a private taxi to rush me to the airport. I will definitely stay at BW Premier Petion-Ville on my next trip to Haiti.

The Hotel is well located and there's a bit of everything around, such as Supermarket, Parcs, Church, restaurants...Hmmmmm.     Overall the hotel was Okay. What made it better, was the exceptional smiling workers, from the door man to the terrace. It would be better if the housekeeping was more prompt and fast. Towels was not given at a fast pace when asked. If you are planning on staying at this hotel currently as a couple and would like to enjoy a couple's massage. It would not be available because they only have one masseuse. The pool is not heated in the event you wanted to enjoy the pool in the evening time. There's not a variety of food at Le Michel Restaurant and the entree meals are not always fresh. Whatever you do, DO NOT ORDER ANY SPECIALS ON THE MENU. Acra are freshly made, and honestly that was the most I enjoyed. the fritay plater is not the greatest.

    After 16 years of leaving Haiti, I decided that it was time to back my bags and head back home solo for a short stay, and I could not have picked a better hotel to stay at. The security measures at the hotel was excellent, staff were amazing and HELPFUL, food was delicious and the room was very comfortable. The General Manager, Tamara is fluent in several languages and was beyond helpful - If you need any recommendations of where to go, what to eat, who to see, she's your girl. Also, A big thank you to Samuel Francisque, for being an excellent shuttle driver. He helped navigate the city safely and sort of became my personal tour guy for the rest of my stay there. I was overall very satisfied with my stay at the Best Western Premier, and highly recommend it.

    I had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Premier in Petionville. The room was very comfortable, gym and pool excellent, breakfast buffet delicious, and service helpful. Staff helped to navigate the city safely and with minimal stress. Specifically, I would like to mention the excellent service of Samuel Francisque, who went above and beyond shuttle driving duties, expertly navigated the roads, and being available for transport. He effectively served as a knowledgeable concierge, recommending restaurants and historical sites to visit. This saved a lot of time and energy that would have been spent researching and planning. Overall, I am very happy with the experience at this hotel and highly recommend it.

    My stay was generally enjoyable and was impressed with the shuttle service as well as restaurant service. The Sales Manager showed concern to guests by inviting guests to a Cocktail. My only comment is that if a room is booked for a couple, room services such as water, coffee, toiletries etc, should be for TWO people and not just for one person as was the case during my recent stay at Best Western.

    « Where is my refund confirmation?! »

    I made a reservation 2 days ago for 9-11 feb. Email confirmation clearly reads I have until 4 pm on the 9th to cancel, or my card will be charged. I called at 1233 to cancel. I was told I has to so it 24 hours in advance so I would be charged. I told the lady what my email confirmation said. She said she could not do it but Would have to go get the person who handles cancelations and call me back in 5 minutes. I was on a borrowed phone and told her she could not call me back. She put me on hold. She came back and said it was canceled. I asked for a confirmation number. She said I would receive and email. I asked for one anyway. She said she could not give me one and I would receive an email immediately. It has been 30 minutes and I have not received the email with the confirmation code. It is 220 pm and still we'll before the 4 pm no later than cancelation without charge deadline. Hoping the cancelation was taken care of. Will try to borrow a phone again. Will update this review with the final results. Not happy right now. Happy to at least have wireless to access internet so I can capture the experience as it unfolds.

    « Not as good as the Marriott »

    The rooms are nice, the staff is pleasant, but the restaurant and pool were a disappointment. We tried to order multiple things for dinner, but were told they were out of our first few choices. Finally settling another option we were disappointed to have several items substituted on the plate. The pool was also a disappointment. There were about 5 men smoking marijuana in the pool area on a Sunday at around noon. Overall I'd choose the Marriott any day over this hotel.

    JobPaw.com has used the Louverture conference room of Best Western to launch its 2015-16 writing contest. We have amazed by the excellent coordination and efficiency of Sacha Perez. She is a great sales Manager with a brillant team. When we arrived at the hotel for the event, the nice welcome with big smile at the front desk left us mouth close. We have delighted to see how Gilbert Andre manages and coordinates the team making sure that everything is fine. He stayed even avalaible to help solve any issues. We recommend all the event organizers to try Best Western and to second our great experience. Congratulation to Sacha Perez for her great work and leadership at her Sales Manager position. Keep up the good work.

    « Shuttle Service and Good Location »

    The Best Western is a good choice for arrival and departures in Haiti because the hotel offers reliable, scheduled Shuttle Service to and from the airport for 35.00 dollars. It is important to schedule the shuttle in advance though. There was a mixup on the taxi service I needed to catch an early morning flight but the front desk staff were able to arrange a driver to the airport at 6 in the morning without difficulty. I do not suggest waiting to arrange transportation at the last minute and always schedule extra time due to traffic congestion that begins at dawn and slows down at dusk. The shuttle can also be scheduled for locations in a two mile radius of the property which is a bonus. The General Manager, Tamara speaks several languages fluently and is available to solve any issues with the hotel during your stay. The room with two queen beds and luxurious linens was super clean. The staff was courteous and helpful although in Haiti as a rule of thumb english is not a second language. The outdoor pool is small. The Fitness room has all the standard contemporary exercise equipment. There is a spa for massage and skin treatments onsite. The lobby and common areas are decorated with a wonderful selection of Haitian Art. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant Michel is extra but well worth the money. The restaurant serves a good variety of dishes and on Thursday there was a special French themed menu in addition to the regular fare of Creole or American Fusion. Diners can eat inside or out with a view of the mountains. At night, it is a lively and comfortable bar scene. A big plus is the location. There is a 2 story Giant Food store with every and anything you may need during your visit including prescriptions across the street from the hotel. I visited two Art galleries with a variety of well known and emerging fine artists in the neighborhood. The staff is well informed and courteous. A shout out to the in house reservation agent who booked my room in english and helped me change it when my plans changed. Tamara states that booking directly usually insures a better rate than online and the shuttles can be arranged at the same time. First time travelers will appreciate the transportation services because I discovered getting around the city to be a big challenge. The free WIFI connection was terrific too.

    « A comfortable place to stay. »

    Best Western is a very nice hotel to stay in Haiti. It´s well located and very close to a good supermarket. The staff is very kind, polite and helpful. The porters, the guards, the waiters and waitresses at the restaurant, the housekeeping girls, who bring Kisses chocolates to us every evening, like Kitty, the managers, everybody does everything to make us feel comfortable during our stay. The bedroom is big and the bed is very comfortable. There is a mini bar, a coffee maker and you can ask for a microwave oven if necessary. The cleaning is good and is done daily. Breakfast is good enough for a nutritious nourishment, and we can have a taste of local food too. We get two small bottles of water everyday, which is a nice touch. The gym is small, but the equipment is very good. The swimming pool is also small, but charming. There is a small spa, a business place, and events, like a magician show or speeches or a party at the bar. I would love for the shower to be stronger and for my safe to work, but all in all I would definitely recommend Best Western for those who visit the city for business or vacation.

Granted it is nicer than a lot of the local accommodations, however it is definitely not worth the money. There is nothing especially wrong with the rooms outside of the fact that for the same amount of money you can stay in a much more luxurious hotel in the same area. The amenities however, are definitely lacking. Don't expect to get a good meal here. The pool is a joke. And if you need parking, forget about it, it's limited and an enormous inconvenience.

    Conveniently located, new and neat. Restaurant is overrated. Food is not consistent - very good sometimes, not good at others. Service falls short at the bar as well as the restaurant. Staff is customer oriented, but not well trained and don't measure up to what you're paying for thee food and the service.

    « Best Western Premier is the best!! »

    I recently travelled from Australia to Haiti and had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel. The room was absolutely fantastic! The 2 free bottles of water you received every day was appreciated. The team made sure the room was clean and the chocolates we received every day at 6.30 pm was a nice touch. The location was great and very close to the local "Giant" supermarket. Level 2 has The Whiskey Bar which had the most amazing atmosphere and a great view. There was live entertainment during the week too. The food was delicious and the waiter Pierre Jackson looked after me!!!! Thanks so much to this guy who was friendly and very professional. I will definitely stay at this hotel when I return in August 2016.

    I am in love with Best Western Premier, I had an unforgettable time. My little girl simply love the place. Room service from "Chez Michel Restaurant" was a little pricey for the value. Best Staff ever Kitty Vincent from Housekeeping is such a sweetheart she went above and beyond her scope of work. Next vacation will be spent again at Best Western Premier!!!! My Room was great slept the whole night through the was was awesome I was able to see part of the city.

    I read so many mixed reviews on this hotel so I was a little worried but once I got there, the worry went away. We checked in to room 305 right above the outdoor lounge with a balcony. I had no problem with the noise level. Slept with no problem and couldn't hear anything. The roosters are much louder than any noise you will hear at the bar :) The beds were so comfortable, air conditioning was fine and the room was clean. American Airlines lost my luggage for my entire trip and Tamara (the General Manager) was the most helpful person I've ever met at a hotel. She even offered to share her vitamins because I needed mine that were in my luggage and she also called American Airlines trying to help me get my luggage. She is the one that approached me at the front desk because she could see how disgusted I was after hanging up with American Airlines. This hotel is lucky to have her. We did go to the restaurant at the hotel almost every day, even if it was just for a drink. My husband and I had the same waiter, Pierre Jackson, almost the entire time. He is a great waiter! We never waited for anything! He smiled and was attentive and friendly and began to know what we were going to order before we even ordered it. We did use the fitness center. Small but exactly what you need. We even left our old cell phone that we use for music in the fitness center by accident and the front desk returned it to us. The pool is perfect size. We used it for 2 of the days. We were the only ones there. I also sat at the pool for a few mornings to relax while my husband worked out. Very relaxing! I wish I could remember the woman's name at the Spa. I got an 80 minute Swedish Massage and it was sooooooooo good! There is a free shuttle anywhere within 2 miles of the hotel. We were going to a friends house that was about 3 miles and they were only going to charge us about $15 back and forth. We ended up cancelling because our friend picked us up. The charge was never taken off our hotel bill so at check out the front desk took it right off after we explained that we didn't use the shuttle. There is a store across the street that has a little bit of everything. I bought some sun dresses and a few other things that I needed for the week because my luggage never came. There is also a regular market (Giant Market) about 2 minute walk away. We went there and got snacks and a few other things to keep in our room. I also bought all my toiletries there and they had ALL of the normal products I use at home. I was so happy! :) I NEVER felt unsafe in Haiti. I walked and went everywhere. My husband is from Haiti and he was able to communicate which definitely helped. We will definitely be back to this hotel!

    Marvelous Luncheon My parents recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on the 29th of December 2015. The Event was held at the Best Western Premier Hotel in Petion-Ville. From the beginning Sasha our sales contact answered all our questions and assisted us in securing a menu deemed for the event. I consulted with my parents who in turn agreed with the choices. Sasha remained attentive to us until the day of the event. My parents also praised the serving staff who took care of the guests while continuing to replenish the buffet. I highly recommend the Best Western Premier because it is a very beautiful Hotel, the Sales department is exceptional; in addition I would like to thank the owners for opening a first class establishment in Petion-Ville.

    Great service!!! Smiley staff! Always clean!!! I only used the Conference room and I received always a fantastic service; staff answers to my queries and my guests are happy to come back. The arts used are great Haitian art and it makes me feel at home.

    This is by far the best hotel experience I've had in Haiti. It was a great experience by any great hotel standards. I have never seen a hotel in Haiti cater to guests this way before. My experience was fantastic in every way from the moment we arrived. The coutrtesy of the doormen was noticebale. They were extremely polite and prompt to help us to checking In especially RObert . The front desk welcome is one of the warmest I've ever received anywhere in the world. The fruit drinks they gave everyone was a sweet welcome. Please thank Jennifer she is great!. The room was top . Clean , Big , Cold Air , nice view beautiful bathroom everything you would expect in a good hotel. Great Management, staff ! Made me they cared and home. Best Western is best hotel , atmosphere, and drinks ! Haiti can be proud.

    Had a great time at Best Western. I came for a wedding at Best Western. The food and music was so good. From the time we arrive they took care of us. Doorman Peterson was so helpful. Front Desk everyone so nice Marie Chimene help us so much. She gave us welcome drinks cold water & everything we need at checkin. Restaurant plan the family dinner. We use spa to do nails on the weekend. I recommend haiti best western hotel its really the best hotel in port-au-prince.

    Definitely "nice" considering you're in Haiti after all but I must admit this is one of my top choices of places to stay. The convenience in Petionville is good but the quality of the room for the price is disappointing, plus the food is overpriced. Tired of hotels gauging foreigners.

    This neat hotel is located at the heart of Pétion-Ville. It is quite new and features a swimming pool, fitness room, restaurant and two bars. The staff is nice but be aware that everything here has it own rhythm. There are good restaurants nearby as well as two supermarkets. The rooms are nice and ample. If you choose this Hotel, ask for a room on the side facing the street. The rooms facing the back have balconies and a nice view, but the noise coming from the terrace, mostly on Wednesdays when they host a happy-hour with a DJ, may be annoying to some. For a short stay the menus available in the restaurant and the bar are good enough. I recommend the burger and the chicken tacos. Little things I would point out: the music in the lobby is always way too loud, don´t know why. The breakfast buffet on Sundays could be different from the buffet served every other day. An omelet station would be nice, guys. For any problems you may have the staff at the front desk will be ready to help you.

    I booked this hotel based on the feedback from others, despite the fact that I have never had a great stay at a Best Western. Sadly, that is the case yet again. I was placed right next to the elevators. I hate that. They demand that you pay for the full stay on arrival, not at checkout, and still take a card imprint for incidentals. Wow. And Within literally a minute of getting into my King Suite, which I paid extra for, I noted the following: 1. The phone was broken; 2. There was no room service menu in the directory: 3. I could not adjust the temperature lower than 24 C. What's going on? Isn't this place maintained? Yet another uninspiring stay at a mediocre hotel.

    Where do I begin. If you are well travelled, travel often to Haiti and have stayed at the very few other viable lodging options, you will be so thankful you chose Best Western Premier. I have stayed at a few hotels in Haiti. I can tell you this is by far the best choice in Haiti. Beautiful, Reliable , Safe, Hospitable, Comfort are some of the words I would use to describe this hotel. I stayed here during the elections in Haiti and felt 100% safe despite all the travel warnings we had received not to go! Thanks to the General Manger and her AMAZING staff who are really all great. The security measures were to US Standards and the location is Prime this may also be why the US Government referred us to Best Western in the first place. My room was the perfect retreat after long days of meetings so refreshing with cold bottles of water and cool A/C . The bed is literally to die for ! I want to thank the housekeepers my room was spotless and smells so good I love to find the goodies they left for me every night with my slippers and folded robe. The entire staff is so warm and friendly they seem so happy all the time it makes you feel happy & appreciated. My welcome Drink with haitian rum was so delicious I kept ordering them every day until i left. Ask for the Savor Lakay Drink you will not regret.

    The Best Western in Haiti is a very nice place to stay. Even though the security issue in that country is not the best, but at Best Western you feel the air of safety. One thing I that was strange is when I got charged $10.00 more a day for electricity. I pay for the hotel, I feel like it is very irresponsible management to charge a customer more at the counter for something that was not mention in the contract.

    First let me start by saying OMG ! I had never heard of a Best Western PREMIER , stayed in one and did not know the difference. The Premier is the Upscale level of Best Western Hotels. At the Hotel they explained to me that there are 4 & 5 Star Premier's all over the World. Who knew? After my experience in Haiti I will be looking for them all over. You are greeted at the Hotel by Doormen! Smiles! and a Welcome fruit Cocktail that is delish! Yes please. I kept saying Is this a Best Western? with Chandeliers lining the entire lobby? WOW. The decor is out of a magazine the thousands of Art pieces are all recycled and made by hundreds of local artists. Never expected to find a green hotel in the Heart of Haiti. The Best Western Premier Hotel in Haiti provided a car and chauffeur free of charge to drop us and pick us up to all our meetings & dining. If that is not Luxury I do not know what is. They also made all of our restaurant reservations for us and took us shopping. Every night housekeepers come to check on guests and delivered chocolates and candies to our room. We may have gone overboard in using the 24hr room service - ordered room service day & night even at 1 a.m. the butler was smiling. Unlimited Wi-Fi, all Free - so was the bottled water! If you are traveling to Haiti. Take it from this NYC Guy This hotel should be at the top of your list. I highly doubt anywhere else can beat the comfort and service at this price!

    Best Western Premier doesn't feel like a hotel it feels like home with every luxury you could hope to find while visiting Haiti. They have spa that is open late on weekends I had a mani/pedi on a Sunday before I left. So worth it. The pool is not to big but it's very clean crystal clear and there's a good gym too. My fave spot is the terrace and best deal is the lunch specials. Spent afternoons on the terrace sipping coffee using the wifi. The employees are so friendly they remember you by name and your preferences. The front desk was like my personal concierge they helped me print documents , charge my phone , call my bank , dry cleaning and suggested the best restaurants Mosaik, Papaye, Quartier Latin, Magdoos, Pizza Garden, Meraki tried a new place every night loved them all. The Supermarket Giant is on the same block and so are two big banks. You could walk to the restaurants and stores but the shuttle took me for free. My fave drink was the mojito with mint leaves freshly picked everything is organic! I could go on and on but I will leave room for my next review. Thank you to the entire team. I am coming back home in January ! Get ready !

    I stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks. I highly recommend this hotel; the rooms, restaurant, accommodations, shuttle service, and the location of the hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff was professional but lacked the level of customer service skills a guest would expect from a Premier luxury hotel. One particular restaurant staff stood out for his excellent customer service skills is Alexis Pierre Richard. If the management of the restaurant and hotel would improve the service skills of the other employees to raise to the level of customer service that Alexis demonstrated, I would have given the hotel a 5-star rating. The WiFi is free and is suppose to be available in the room, however, the signal is too weak. You need to get a stronger WiFi signal for the rooms. The business center was great and that made up for the weak WiFi signal. One safety tip for the management of housekeeping - when mopping floors, have your cleaning staff should mop one side, let it dry and then mop the other side, so that people can walk on the dry floor, rather mopping the entire floor and allowing the guest to risk walking on a wet tile floor.

    « BUGS. Terrible hotel - not worth the rating or the price, awful service - Left me stranded »

    I recently stayed here on a business trip. Despite arranging airport transportation, I waited almost 90 minutes as they had "forgotten" to pick me, leaving me standing outside in the sun and heat. They were not even apologetic, and I had to fight to not be charged for the shuttle service. The rooms smell of mold, and I had bugs all over my room. I was afraid to bring things home with me, out of fear that the bugs would come with. No mini bar in room, and the "store" the hotel advertises had nothing except for club soda and ruffles potato chips, nor is there any place nearby to purchase food or beverages. Service in the restaurant was slow, even by Haitian standards. Do NOT stay here. The Marriott is much nicer, more dependable, and offers better amenities.

    I booked 2 rooms for my birthday weekend. on my first night of arrival 10/13 I was told by the front desk that they did not accept best western gift cards (Let me specify that I am the reservations manager of the best western in Miami beach and I have dealt with best western gift cards for a couple of years now) I was given room 718 and 701. I usually stay on the 7th floor when I stay there but this time I did not want to stay because room 718 had a smell of urine and room 701 we found 3 roaches. the next morning we went to have breakfast at the michel restaurant and we were greeted by GILBERT ANDRE The food and Beverage manager and he asked about our stay and we explained to him what was happening. Gilbert went to the front desk and had the General Manager Mrs. MICHELLE MAGLOIRE come and talk to us about the issue. We were offered the breakfast complimentary which I thought was very nice of them and checked out that same day because we were going to jacmel. We came back on Friday 10/16 and was given 2 rooms on the 6th floor and those rooms were incredible. I want to thank Gilbert Andre for acknowledging the fact that we encountered this issue and went out of his way to help us out. I also want to thank the GM Michelle Magloire for helping me out with the gift cards issues and for making sure we got better rooms when we came back. Overall THE FRONT DESK STAFF was incredible I want to thank Marie Chimene who helped me most of my stay. I also want to thank Valencia and marie Esther from the fdesk They were really nice. Thank you to the housekeeping staff YVONNE GENEUS and DAZIE REZERNA for servicing our rooms everyday they were perfectly done. The bellman staff never cease to amaze me. They are the best staff of this hotel Specially ROBER DESIR He greets us with a big welcome back everytime I come back to the hotel. I also want to thank Junior Eduard,Peterson and Jean Bertrand from the Bellman staff. Thank you for storing our luggages safely. Overall I had a great stay except for that first night. Thank you again Michelle Magloire You are a wonderful GM!!!

    I visited the hotel a couple of months ago when I was vacationing in Haiti. It was awesome, They welcome my friends and I with open arms even though we weren't staying at the hotel. We received a tour of the premises, the rooms were beautiful with an equally beautiful view. The food we had there was just amazing, and they make the best fresh passion fruit juice. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Haiti.

    I went on a week long business trip to Haiti; however, my luggage did not arrive until day 3! Upon check in I shared my missing bag saga. A bellboy was immediately assigned to escort me to some shops for business attire. In addition, he took me to an area where I could buy some relatively inexpensive lounge wear. As I was purchasing clothes, he helped me by translating and bartering on my be-half. In one location, he used his money so that I would not have to break my US$! I was IN LOVE with the hotel at that point. In addition, the hotel is very nice. The rooms are wonderful! The bed was beyond comfortable, TV and phone systems are technologically advanced (large, smart TV), nice gym and quaint pool. The food in the restaurant was good, but the dinner menu did not change! The guest appreciation evening was classy and fun. I would love to go for vacation and not business

    I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Haiti. The restaurant is very good. The food is amazing, however it may take a while before you get served. The prices might have been a bit expensive but the taste and quality made up for this. The gym is great and so is the pool. The door men were really helpful in getting things outside the hotel. Security is really good. The front desk has amazing and friendly staff that always helped with a smile. I experienced a few problems but they were minor and was attended to instantly by staff. never the less I had a great stay! ??????. Can't wait to visit Haiti again. ????????????????

    I thought the room was clean until I got up from the table I was having my dessert and returned to find a roach. That meal was over. They sneak in a concession fee of an additional $10 per day that I was not made aware of. Breakfast was supposed to be included but magically disappeared from my reservation. The worst was being placed on the second floor by the staff and being told I would be moved the next day. Music was blaring at the outdoor bar and I was informed it would end at 10 which extended till 11:30. I had no rest that evening. My view consisted of mechanical equipment. There has to be a better spot out there.

    While the food/drinks are expensive even by US and import standards, the hotel is comfortable, safe, and conveniently located. Caveat that they will charge you $10/day for energy consumption. But air con is good and staff are friendly, if not knowledgeable. Concierge assured us that there would be live jazz every night at a nearby club. Alas, when we suffered through Air Supply on the stereo over dinner, we realized that we should have simply inquired at resto directly.
