Best Western Port Aransas

Great value for the location. The staff go above and beyond always with a smile. Pool is nice temperature and well maintained. Hot breakfast that varies during the week. Nice little library in the lobby that carries new and used books. Beds are comfy and clean. Lots of food and fun within a walkable distance or there's a cart rental place next door that has good prices.

The staff is incredible. We love Dee who makes checking in a pleasure. Kathy who cooks breakfast is a treasure. Part of vacationing for us is not having to cook. We so enjoy what she serves. All the staff wouks say hello when we saw them. Also, great location so you can walk to the Beach.

I typically don't stay at Best Westerns unless they meet BW's “Plus” or “Premier” status. I almost rejected this property because it does not have BW's higher ratings. I'm glad I opted to stay here. We had an excellent 3-day visit. The room was at the back of the property so it was whisper quiet. While an older building, it has been nicely renovated. Our room was very clean. There were NO SIGNS of any bugs. Bed linens were obviously fresh. Interior and exterior walks were freshly painted. The beds were comfortable. The front desk lady was friendly and accommodating. Chilled water and available fresh fruit were both a nice touch. The pool is inviting and the water is kept warm. The only reason I can see why this property doesn't have the “Plus” designation is that it has the old style exterior doors. I know many like the security of interior hallways. I understand. Personally I really like being able to park immediately in front of my room. If you are alright with an exterior entry property, don't hesitate to stay here. You'll be about 3 blocks to the beach and town is small so getting around is super convenient.

I liked this hotel. Great service! Very clean. The location is awesome. Just a short walk to the beach, souvenir shops, restaurants (pizza buffet across the street), convenience store across the street. Just a great place to stay. I would stay there again.

Over all great service✅. Swift and friendly check in, Clean room, great breakfast and a great family friendly environment with all restaurants and stores within walking distance. Kids loved the warmed pool. 10/10 we have found our hotel for our future visits to port aransas!

The room is always comfortable and the breakfast is the best in town. The best part though, I left something behind and they called to let me know. I asked them to mail it to me, and I have to pay, but I'm happy they called. I've never had a hotel do that.

Clean facilities, friendly and efficient staff, convenient location, delicious breakfast with variety of offerings from day to day. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return or to recommend. Just a suggestion: add closed caption capability to room TV.

Megan was great! We had booked a double room and she was able to change us to a king at check-in. Cyndi is the best in the kitchen. Breakfast is always top notch. She is so sweet and helpful. Cleaning staff do a great job as well. We only stay here when we visit the coast!

The bed was very comfortable. Awesome spelt great. Room was awesome size. Full kitchen. Room location was great and easy access to the pool and main lobby. Breakfast was good as well Will definitely return again Great place to visit and see the dolphins

Location was good - quiet, close to beach & most of what we wanted to see. Front desk associate was especially friendly & helpful, gave information on the area. We got a room set up for someone with disabilities. It was very spacious. The only thing that might be updated is the towels - they were extremely thin & rough. The floors could use a good 'steam cleaning'. Overall, it was a good stay.

Everyone was helpful and friendly, which seems to be sadly lacking elsewhere these days.Location was central to all local amenities. Breakfast was better than most. Walking distance to beach, shops and some of the restaurants/bars.

I was a little worried about this hotel since we had stayed at another one for about the same price and it was disgusting. But this one was clean and spacious. The breakfast was fantastic instead of the same boring stuff that just gets you by. There was a hash brown casserole that my son raved about and on New Years Day my husband was excited to get flavorful black-eyed peas. The location was great with several places to eat within walking distance, and golf cart rentals within walking distance. We'll definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

I have to say that this was one of the nicest hotels i have stayed at. The room was clean, well maintained also. The front desk ladys were friendly and nice as well. Breakfast was good as well. The grounds are kept up and clean too. Great location, just a pleasant stay all around. Great job staff !!!

Best Western in Port Aransas is the best! Clean! Friendly staff! Everyone is so friendly & helpful! Great breakfast! Coffee & hot chocolate all day! We come here every year on our way to South Padre & back.

Room was clean and well kept. Pool area was well maintained. Continental breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is located in a good area of the island. There was washer, dryers and a fitness center available, and a library of books for visitors.

We love this location. The staff were great, the location on the island is awesome and the rooms are clean. This trip was just the hubby and me. We have brought our family, which was a total of 6 adults and 6 kids. They also loved it!!

I always chose the best western over any other place to stay because the staff is always so friendly and accommodating. From the Manger , front desk and maids. Everyone is so nice and always checks to see if you or your guests need anything.

Me and my Honey love this Best Western and always enjoy staying here due to the very good breakfast and the most welcoming staff and location. We've been coming here for the last 7 years and highly recommend everyone try it out

All hotels on the island are pricey in the summer, this is no different, but at least with this one you get an actual clean room, not outdated, with a nice size fridge with a freezer as well as a microwave! The service was amazing and the front desk was very helpful on several issues!

We entered our room easily with the keyless card and the room was nice and cool. The check in was nice and short. The breakfast bar was top notch! The facility was pro guest service. I will be back!!!

The Studio lodging was excellent! And, the staff starting with Dee's welcoming smile was very friendly and accommodating. Also, the great breakfast prepared each morning by Cyndi was a highlight of our stay before heading to the beach.

The reviews were great and we found that they lived up to expectations. Clean hotel, comfortable sleep, air worked great. Staff friendly and helpful. Cynthia ran the breakfast wonderfully. She had a smile each morning and took really good care of everyone. She's friendly and we'd go back just because of her. When seeing her around the hotel she greeted us by name. What an excellent employee you have in her. The breakfast also had several protein choices which I appreciated. The pool was clean. Inside and around the pool area. First time staying here everything was clean. No bugs and the food was good. Having a breakfast taco option was a nice option to have. The rooms were clean and adequate and the air conditioning was working

My husband and I went for a quick getaway. This Best Western is just a few blocks from the beach, restaurants, shops and everything you need. This is our second time this year to stay here. We'll be back!

If there's sand on the floor at the Best Western it means your room has not been cleaned from last guest—as in my case. Beware—they do not change the sheets nightly even at the prices they charge unless you ask. Gross! They don't replace coffee, they don't replace soap I normally don't stay at a Best Western but did because friends did. I won't stay there again

Loved the experience! Room was large and very clean. Breakfast was more than expected. Pool hours are great 6a-11p. Very kid friendly. The beach is within walking distance, 10 minutes tops. I'll definitely be staying there again when I come back to visit. Great value.

This hotel is off the main drag yet close to the center of Port A and within walking distance of some restaurants and stores. We prefer to drive to the beach, which is not far from the hotel. The king bed with kitchenette was perfect. The bathroom was spacious. The a/c kept the room comfortable, and the box fan was a bonus since we always sleep with a fan nearby, for added comfort. Breakfast options were varied. Loved the Texas waffle makers(2), syrup or strawberry toppings. Hot scrambled eggs, tortillas, potatoes, bacon or ham bits, cheese, cereal, yogurt, and the best coffee from any hotel. And the friendly lady in charge ran it smoothly and efficiently. After a few hours on the beach, the pool was a nice alternative. We will stay here on future trips.

We came to Port A to camp on the beach for a night. It was a lot of fun, but with an 8 hour drive home, we knew we wanted to be clean and well rested, so we planned our second night at the Best Western for showers and a comfy bed. After our two fun days at the beach, we limped into the parking lot sand-crusted, sun-dried, and heavily-salted. Check in took less than 2 minutes, and within 30 minutes all of us were showered and power napping. I cannot tell you how nice it was to wake up clean in a bed with AC after nearly 24 solid hours on the beach in 100+ sunny weather. From there we were able to walk across the street to the Stripe convenience store for some stuff, and then just one lot over to have our dinner and drinks at Bron's Backyard, complete with live music and Cornhole. This Best western could not have been more conveniently located. All in all, I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Everything was great…except my husband says the grills could be upgraded. Cleaning and breakfast crews were outstanding.well recommended to family members and friends. This place was accessible to beach and stores very nice

This place is by far the best stay we have had with Best Western , The breakfast was really good and the attendees Cathy or Cassy im bad with names was really nice . Also the cleaning room service they work there butts off, despite it being the beach they alwaya had our room swept , and fresh towels . I would stay here again . Front desk staff was very friendly . No complaints !

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Port Aransas. The hotel staff is extremely friendly. Our room was very clean along with the rest of the hotel. It is in a great location and very convenient access to the beach. We have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions and will continue to do so.

The room was awesome and the staff in the front was so nice and helpful! We had a full kitchen and living room in our room and it was overall one of the best experiences I've had. The pillows were also really nice! My boyfriend and I had a great time and will be returning.

The hotel staff was great and friendly . We loved the perks that BW offers. The free breakfast was superb. So many different options everyday. The little library in the corner is a great addition. We will be staying at BW in Port Aransas from now on.

Awesome breakfast open until 10, manager came quickly on time off to help with a charge, nice pool. Housekeeping staff very nice and attentive. Water available while in the pool. Great stay! Also stayed at Hampton Inn area, would stay best western instead.

Hotel is clean and the staff are very helpful. I like this hotel because it has laundry on-site and they are happy to make change. There is a small bookstore inside also which is a nice touch. Coffee/tea/hot chocolate and water always available and breakfast has an option for everyone.

The room was well cleaned and the staff was wonderful, especially Dee. I feel like I've come to have reduced expectations in the service and hospitality industry over the past few years, so I was pleasantly surprised at the exceptional staff I encountered here, from check in all the way to check out. Two blocks from a great stretch of beach, super clean rooms, great service from desk to rooms to complimentary breakfast with something for everyone. Andrew's staff is super friendly, helpful and good at their job! Everything worked as intended. Kids love the pool after the beach, outdoor shower, and Texas shape/size waffles with all the fixings at complimentary breakfast. Good coffee and healthy choices including (fresh) fruit, juice. Plenty of hot breakfast food too. Ice machines are high capacity. Water, coffee and hot chocolate all day. Room fridge keeps stuff cold. Nice beds, lots of towels, daily housekeeping service is much better than the "majors". All good here, enjoy!

Rates are reasonable. Breakfast is very good - not fancy, but made the family happy. Beds were comfortable. Towels were resupplied daily without having to request. Bathrooms were very clean. TV remote listings a bit of a challenge to discern in the beginning.

We had a great stay at the Best Western. Room was clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. Pool heated to 90! Breakfast was great. Awesome little library nook. Bottled water available in the lobby. Weather didn't cooperate, but still a pleasant stay.

Great place to stay!! Front desk was extremely helpful and accommodating. They asked our preference of room location and met it. They gave us much information about the island and committed to meet any need we may have. Breakfast was outstanding!!

I've lost track on how many times my husband and I have stayed here but the service still remains the same: clean rooms, comfortable beds, clean enjoyable pool, and friendly customer service remains top notch at all levels! My stay was so peaceful and quiet. Now for the customer that complained about a big roach, I have never encountered ANY bugs during any of my stays so it must have been a one-off. For the patron that complained about the same eggs, potatoes, sausage everyday, REALLY! She failed to mention the other breakfast food available-the fruit, pastries, yummy homemade waffles with toppings, yogurt and a variety of drinks, at no additional cost! If you are one that wants a gourmet breakfast, then, yes, this is not the place for you. Pull out your wallet and pay a higher price somewhere else. And let me add one more thing: the pizzeria across the street has delicious pizza, just walk to it. Enjoy your vacay! My husband and I did.

The location is beautiful & breakfast will exceed your expectations trust me. Like my kids said Ms Kathy is the best! Everything is in walking distance. The staff are very professional, friendly and happy!

Front desk clerk was extremely friendly and helpful, answered all our questions cheerfully! ( Dee) Will definitely stay there again! The room was really clean, beds were very comfortable. Hotel upkeep was excellent and I must add, being winter and the pool water temp was 90 degrees, that was a plus!

The hotel is located just a few blocks from the beach. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. The staff are great. Our group was a mixed of children, parents, and grandparents so the variety of food in the breakfast bar fulfilled all of our wishes. The heated pool is a wonderful retreat after a day of seashore activities.

It was such a great stay! This is my second time staying at BW Port Aransas and I love it. It's family friendly, all of the employees are extremely welcoming. Breakfast was delicious! I loved that there was a surprise breakfast dish along with the regular menu. They made it even better with the pot of black eyed peas on new years morning ❤️ Our room was perfect, I'll definitely continue to reserve the king suite with Kitchenette. It made it so nice to be able to cook for my little ones!

Hotel is pretty newly remodeled due to hurricane Harvey. Rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast very good. Small bookshop on premises. Great pizza resteraunt across street. Short walk to beach.

Everything was just a notch higher. The breakfast was superior with the homemade quiche being amazing. We stayed in four hotels this week. This one embarrassed all of the others. Their "heated pool" was actually really heated and super comfortable. The staff were all super friendly and obviously well trained. Be sure that you sekect this ine.

The whole trip was amazing from the guy at check in to the cleaning people they made you feel so welcome and after going to the beach and come back our room was cleaned and new sheets on the bed it was so nice. We love coming after thanksgiving for our anniversary every year we stay at best western and we always have a great time. The only thing is breakfast was okay but it has been better. But we will be back

We were looking for a place to getaway and relax. This place exceeded our expectations! From the minute you walk in the door to the time we left, it was PERFECT! The breakfast had a wonderful selection of hot foods, pastries and more. I will definitely be back!

The staff is awesome!!! The accommodations are nice and clean, and the amenities are great. Since discovering this hotel several years ago, I always stay there! The breakfast is tops, they have snacks, water, and great coffee, and a quiet library for checking out books or taking a break from the beach.

You really couldn't of asked for a better location than this. A simple couple blocks walk to the beach, or short on your cart, or a small minor detour if you're driving your car for the free beach parking. All the shops or restaurants are also in walking distance which is perfect. The pool was nice, since it was November apparently it's cold for locals so it was heated which, actually was! The breakfast choices changed throughout our three day stay and did differ from what we've experienced in other BW stays.

The room was 100% immaculate; the pool was 100% immaculate; the breakfast was yummy; bed was comfy, and customer service was 10 star - my husband and I have never seen customer service reps that show care and concern, go over and beyond to assist as these at Best Western. Every employee that we had interaction with was top rated! My husband and I are repeat customers.

This was a great budget hotel. Great value, close to the beach, near the town center and filling breakfast. Rooms were well appointed. Internet access was easy and consistent. Clean rooms and convenient parking.

Motel is close to beach and restaurants. I was very impressed how clean the rooms were. We had a great breakfast in the lobby every morning. All the staff were very friendly. I will definitely be back.

This hotel was close to everything available in Port Aransas. Walking distance to beach and pier and a ton of good restaurants! We only stayed 2 nights but we were very comfortable at this motel. Staff was very good at answering our questions and making excellent referrals for dining, shopping, etc.

Staff was very accommodating and friendly Always love staying here!! They have a really good continental breakfast, the pool is always an added bonus and of course they are located close to the beach!

Our stay was so wonderful from the friendly staff and maids, to the room accommodations, and to the GREAT breakfast! They recovered so well from the devasting hurricane a few years ago. We will continue going there to enjoy the beach, the dolphins, the friendly people, and the best of Best Western.

We hadnt been to Port A for years, the place we used to stay was very damaged by Harvey. But we found the Best Western on Booking.com and the stay could not have been more perfect! Our room was really comfortable, the pool was beautiful and SO clean! Breakfast was delicious and had lots of choices, the price was very reasonable and staff was super friendly. Andrew was especially helpful the evening we checked in! We will definitely come back!!!

This hotel was kept very clean, our room was really comfortable. The pool area is kept up so nice and the pool is a great size. I love the fact that they kept the pool open till 11:00pm, so I could go down for a nice night swim after the little kiddos go to bed. Breakfast was great with a lot of choices offered and it was offered a lot later so there was no rush, and we could just enjoy a nice slow start to our day. This hotel is in the perfect spot, gift shops right out the door so you can walk, beach just a couple blocks away. The staff was really friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay. We will be back

This hotel was very clean which is my number one priority in selecting a place to stay. The room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable. We were a few blocks from the beach which made it easy access and easy to get back to the room for bathroom breaks.

Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. The size of the room was great! We did not feel cramped and the sofa bed was a plus. Great location! Close to everything, walking distance to the beach, Pizza restaurant across the street and golf cart rentals all around. We very much enjoyed the pool and the library was a plus! The ac will definitely cool you off after a day at the beach!

The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. I thought breakfast was first rate for Best Western. Loved having washer and dryer so I could keep up with towels and clothes of two fishermen who took three showers a day! Easy access to grocery store, souvenir shops, gas station. Love the pizzeria across the street. So close to the beach. The AC in the room worked so well! Your cleaning staff and front desk personnel were very accommodating and kind.

Staff was super helpful and welcoming, the room was nice as well as the pool and workout room. Also, the hotel is a pretty reasonable walk away from the beach. Overall, made it a very comfortable stay.

This hotel was very clean and the staff was kind and very helpful. We have a family member with special needs and they were very accomodating. Short walk to the beach. Breakfast was a good variety and good hours. Rooms were cleaned daily and we had fresh towels daily.

Staff was professional, polite and accomodating. The location was perfect, we could walk to many places. Enjoyed the pool and the breakfast buffet. The facility was clean, updated and well maintained. We will definitly return upon our next trip to Port Aransas.

Do not stay anywhere else in Port A. Walking distance to the beach, clean rooms and facilities, incredible breakfast, 24 hour delicious coffee, phenomenal staff and the comfiest beds! We will never stay anywhere else while in Port Aransas!

I stayed here over the 4th this year. I arrived a little early on Sunday and asked if we could get into a room. General manager made it happen. Very impressed with the staff. Made our stay easy and seamless. Highly recommended. 5 stars.

Fantastic hotel and staff! Andrew is so kind and the entire staff is pleasant and welcoming. Room was clean and the beds were so comfortable I had to ask what mattress they used. Breakfast was hot and fresh with a variety of options. Best of all, the coffee! It was available 24 hours a day and delicious! Allowed us to keep up with our busy kiddos. We will be back to this hotel for sure!

Great location with clean rooms, extremely friendly staff and pretty good breakfast. The pool is nice after a day in the gulf and the hotel staff keeps your rooms spotless while you are out. I would highly recommend staying here on your next trip

The breakfast provided was great, I loved the waffle maker. The pool stayed open later than most hotels, very friendly staff and clean room. Hotel was very close to the beach. We enjoyed our stay so much before leaving we booked another week in August.

The cleanliness of this place is impressive. Super happy with the cleaning staff - the room sparkles every day. All staff are super friendly and attentive. The manager went out of her way to accommodate my husband's gluten free diet for breakfast. The location is great - walkable to the beach and to the stores of downtown Port A.

One of the best places to stay in Port A. Front desk receptionist Jerri is incredibly welcoming. The breakfast is self serve and plentiful. Rooms are super comfy. Best Western is convenient to eateries and a short walk to the beach. You're missing out if you don't stay here.

This hotel has it all! Super reservation experience, thanks to Jerri. Megan was outstanding at check in. Room was ready and spotless. Rebecca, our housekeeper, was always smiling! Double queen room on lower level was quiet, spotless, and large. Pool was heated and also spotless. Relaxing walk to beach or shops. Staff was friendly and busy accommodating guests. Nice selections and breakfast until 10 was a treat. Outdoor dining was very pleasant. Lobby also offers a library. We considered this one of our best vacation hotels. 5 nights was not long enough. Rates do go up on weekend. Weekly rate was outstanding! Highly recommend and we will return!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Port Aransas. The room was newer modeled, clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was nice with lots of hot and cold selections to satisfy. Heated pool is pleasant and clean. All staff interactions were very frie dly a d helpful. I would choose to come stay again here.

Came in on a Saturday and found an available room here. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was super clean and well priced for season. We didn't take advantage of The pool, but there were several enjoying it. Got quiet about 10 pm which was nice for a Saturday evening. We did enjoy a hot breakfast before checking out. Nice place

Excellent hotel with amenities for the family. Close to the beach and activities, close the the ferry for easy transport to Aransas Pass. Desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the room. We will stay there again on our next visit.

This was our third visit to Port Aransas Best Western. Each visit is better than the last! Wonderfully helpful people at the front desk, and the cleaning staff keep the facilities looking immaculate. We love the heated pool! Also, the breakfast bar has an amazing variety!

Best Western sure does know how to make you feel like family when you visit and stay here with them ... From the moment you call to make your reservation till check out time... I also requested a room downstairs due to my mother-in-law being an elder and they made her room priority made sure she got a room downstairs with a handicap shower... As an added bonus... Texas is my favorite place and now I can say that I have a new go to place to stay whenever I am here. Will for sure, tell my friends to visit you guys your agents are very nice to everyone, I am satisfied with my stay.

This hotel is our favorite to return to as often as we can. The rates are affordable, the hot breakfast is great, the pizza place across the street has great food, the beach is about 2 blocks right down the road, the hosts and staff are friendly, and the hotel and grounds are very clean. We love it!

Love staying at the Best Western Port Aransas, clean, safe and very close to the beach and many resteraunts, will be back next year! Very affordable stay even during Sandfest. Rooms were quiet despite the extra activity. Staff was very friendly and helpful with questions, our honest housekeeper even found a 100.00 bill under a nightstand and placed it on top of the table for us and told us about it the next time we saw her.

This is probably the best Best Western I have stayed at and I have stayed at many. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and well maintained, the price was very good, and the internet was the best I have experienced at any hotel ever.

The hotel is located in a great location and to make it better the staff was amazing. Checking and checkout was very easy and the staff was helpful. The breakfast was great pool is heated and the rooms are very clean! Will be booking again.

We stayed right before the Spring Break crowd arrive (Feb.28-March4). The price was excellent for the amenities that were there. There was an excellent "hot" breakfast included(real eggs, not watery, along with breakfast meat, cottage potatoes, waffles with toppings, and fresh & canned fruits). There is also a large outdoor pool that was always heated(nice & warm) and a fitness center that my husband used. There is no elevator, but the hotel is only 2 levels high. The room was nice & clean and the staff members where very friendly. Cindy went out of her way to bring me bottled water! The bed was a little firm for me, but my husband liked it. The only reason that I gave it a "4" rating was because I think the young man that "checked us in" should have warned us that the city was going to turn the water off at 8 am the next morning, until late that afternoon. I would have rearranged my swimming and shower times if I had known ahead of time. There is a book corner in the lobby that sells books or you can just donate some money if the books are used (used books have a blue dot on the back). This was very nice for me since I was able to purchase some books for my preschool program. The location is very good! It is only a mile to the Port A. Beach and there are restaurants and golf cart rental near by. We ate once at Port A. Pizza across the street. It was an excellent price...all you can eat for $9 or $10 (we ate there at lunch and I think they gave us a senior discount because it was cheaper than we thought it would be). There is a good salad bar, along with pasta, pizza, and calzone. Fountain drinks and ice tea are included in the price. We also enjoyed eating at "Venetian Hot Plate", "Virginia's By the Bay", and appetizers at Irie's Tropical Food, as well as gelato at "Coffee Waves". Don't miss-out on visiting the Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center! We saw tons of white pelicans and a rare bird, the Roseate Spoonbill, plus many other kinds of birds. Back to the Best Western Hotel: Over-all it is a very nice place and I would recommend staying there!

We overnighted here and were very impressed. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The entire property was spotless. The pool is enclosed by the courtyard. There is also an outside sitting area just off the breakfast area. We had a NS, King suite with kitchenette. Full kitchen with 2 burner stove top. Large room with all wood vinyl flooring. Nice living area, the bedroom is not separate from the rest of the room. Nice large bathroom. Everything was clean and well laid out. Two things kept me from a 5 rating. No elevator and we were on the second floor (of 2). This wasn't a show stopper for us but if its important to you ask for a ground floor room. The other was thin walls. We could here the folks and their TV in the adjacent room so I assume they could hear us. We had no issues during the quiet hours so it wasn't a problem. We got a fantastic rate and its only a few blocks to the beach. Pizza place right across the street. Many restaurants you can drive to. We'd definitely stay here again.

We were upgraded to a huge suite room which had a full kitchen, a comfortable sofa, and a bathroom we could have danced in. Parking near our room door which I love. Pool is heated to 90 degrees although we didn't partake. Wifi was excellent, TV was good. Breakfast offerings were good too. Good location and highly recommended.

Good stay at the Port Aransas Best Western. Wife is a "Birder" and wanted to go to the Corpus Christi area. We ended up staying in Port Aransas which has several bird watching locations in and around town. The Best Western hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The staff all seemed dedicated to doing a good job. Room, lobby and breakfast area were clean and comfortable. Pool area was also nice but the late January weather was cool so we didn't use it. It was the slow season and most guests were older. The hotel was quiet in the evening though at times you could hear some noise from adjoining rooms. Ate at Gumbles on the marina in town. Tues/Thurs Happy Hour had draft beer for $2.50. We would definitely stay again.

Folks, I have been"trying to stay at the Port A BW" for years. Bad planning, life and a full docket with regard to reservations kept me from doing that. BUT, I finally got to stay there back on November 13-14 for a night and what a blessing. The hotel, has entry from the outside room doors, and no elevators to get you to the 2nd floor, but let me tell you. This property is all that I knew that it would be. From check-in to check-out it was a great stay. Comfy rooms, well-appointed, heated pool and hot tub outside, a BBQ Pavilion with tables, etc just off the parking lot, and the staff was amazing - friendly and attentive. The hotel is quiet, and the location can't be beat - ALL THAT I HOPED IT WOULD BE ! I will be back. Worth a do-over again and again and again !! Thanks, Best Western, Port Aransas for being such a great place to stay.

Clean and friendly place. Pool area is protected from the wind. All outdoor entrances, which I prefer. Comfortable beds, soft towels, and clean room. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall great place with good staff!

Rooms were very clean, beds and pillows comfy, close to everything (beach, shopping and eating) Nice heated pool Breakfast was great included waffles with many toppings, bacon, eggs, muffins, milk , orange juice, apple juice and many other items.

Tammie, Andrew and Dee were great & very friendly. Tammie the manager made sure I got my double points for the campaign going on with rewards. Gave me an extra 500 at check in. Had an issue wth the cooktop in our room. Couldnr figure out how to turn it on. LOL Andrew got on it right away but by the time (about 3 minutes) he got to our room we had it figured out. everything was great. comfortable bed. Had an awesome time. We always stay here though so we were familiar with everything.

The staff is so kind and helpful. They make sure everything is clean and neat. Cynthia is an excellent employee. She was very proud of the facility and loyal to her employers. That is a very refreshing attitude to find in this current environment. All staff are an asset to this business.

A wonderful place to stay when visiting Port Aransas. My wife and I have stayed here many times and the staff and service always exceed our expectations. The staff is friendly, the rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable. The best of all is that this location has ceramic tile in the rooms. No beach sand in the carpet here! The breakfast is better than IHOP! You will not regret a stat at Best Western in Port Aransas, TX.

Great stay at Best Western. Nice room with a heated outdoor pool and full breakfast. The room was clean and neat. The staff was super nice and helpful. Location was superb, close to everything, the beach, gift shops, and restaurants.

Everything was great. Kids loved the pool and breakfast. We had 2 rooms and all was perfect except the weather on Friday and Saturday which was not in your control. Front desk was super helpful with recommendations. Cleaning

For the price, this was a great hotel. We stayed off season, which helped. The TV is nice and large and the bathroom is newly remodeled and clean. It is also a quick walk to the beach and lots of restaurants and shops. The breakfast is pretty good, but I wish they had granola like some breakfast bars. I would stay here again.

It was too chilly to swim in the ocean, so we really enjoyed that the pool was heated to 90 degrees. We had a king suite, and used the kitchen to make dinner. Nice finishes in the room and lobby--felt classy. Ultra-comfortable bed! Nice variety at breakfast, and superhot coffee 24/7. Great proximity to the beach and restaurants.

I have always had a nice experience while staying at the Best Western in Port Aransas. The bed is super comfortable and the pillows are like laying on a comfy cloud. You get a hot breakfast that is great! The location is close to the beach. You can rent golf carts right across the street. It's in a convenience location and a great pizza place across the street too.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted warmly and with a smile.......breakfast was outstanding and hot :):) - rooms were cleaned each day much to our surprise, which really made the stay feel more like home

Management and staff are wonderful. They truly care about the customer and the customer experience. Thank you Tammie for making this such a wonderful stay! She went above and beyond to fix a cancellation and rate change error and followed up to make sure everything was perfect. The hotel is close to restaurants, bars and the beach. We had a great time!

The room was very nice, clean and updated. The outdoor areas consisted of a pool, outdoor sitting area, picnic area with grill, and a sand shower. Wifi worked well. Staff was friendly. We went to the pizza place across the street. They have a buffet which looked good, but we ordered a pizza. My husband especially liked the pizza. The beach was about a five minute walk from the hotel. It is a beautiful, wide beach. It cost $12 to park in that area. You can buy a pass to park while you are there. If you want to park free, drive 3 minutes down the street from the hotel; turn left. Go past the fishing pier. We felt that the area was safe and did a lot of walking. There are many stores and restaurants closeby. I recommend this hotel! Port Aranasas is a hidden gem!

Clean, friendly staff, room very nice, close to beach and restaurant's. Not much noise within room. The suite had everything we needed from dishwasher to refrigerator and big screen tv! All in very excellent repair!!!

The staff is very friendly and are good at what they do. The beds are comfortable. I always sleep well when I stay here. The place is clean. The breakfast has a good variety. For the price it is an exceptional value, hence, the five star rating.

There is not enough space to post all the good things about this hotel. The employees are the greatest, going above and beyond for the guests. Rebecca in housekeeping stood out in September. This time it was Josie(housekeeping) Donna( breakfast) and Amber(front desk)

First time for my family to be at the beach. We had a great room close to stairs with adjoining room for family. AC went out in one room and it was replaced and cooling in less than 30 minutes. Wow!! All staff professional and friendly.

Cutest hotel! Cleanest rooms I've ever been in! Pool was clean and not overly chlorinated . BreAkfadt excellent . Megan was wonderful every time I called … and it was a lot. Ha! Sooo close to beach and so much more! Will definitely stay again. Wish I could rate it higher!!

Our first time staying here but won't be the last. Very clean, wonderful friendly staff, hot breakfast, free coffee in the lobby at all times. The only downside was the humidity in the room, but hey, you're at the coast so that can't be helped.

On a short notice trip were able to stay at the BW-Port A. Tammie made the check-in process a ease and no hassle. All dealings with the staff were pleasant. The breakfast was fine, everyone liked the Texas shaped waffles.

Took some much need family time and hot the beach. Our stay here at Best Western was great and made our overall trip that much better. The staff was friendly and helpful and our room was neat and clean

First stayed at this BW 11 months ago… been back 4 times with girlfriends ( I'm 55 +years) and last visit solo. Well maintained, good AC, close to beach, great beds and clean rooms, polite happy staff, well lit parking lot. I will continue to go there -with the girls or solo. For me it's perfect

Staff are very pleasant & informative. Easy check in & check out. Studio room has everything you will need. It was clean & smelled good. Parking is good, there is area for parking golf carts. Hotel location is excellent. It is in walking distance of beach.

Location is great, just blocks from beach and near restaurants, shops, CVS, Whataburger, golf cart rental, etc. Breakfast buffet with eggs, potatoes and meat plus more was terrific. Nice pool. Friendly staff. Comfy beds and great coffee make this place our #1 pick while in Port Arkansas.

Every staff member we met was so kind and professional! The room was clean, we loved the large variety of food for breakfast, and the close proximity to the beach, shopping, and restaurants made our vacation so enjoyable. We stayed at this hotel in April and again this weekend and both times they exceeded our expectations. ALL the staff are so friendly, helpful, professional and just pleasant in general. The hotel both times was very well maintained, clean and just awesome. Breakfast is fabulous, tons of choices, kitchen staff were wonderful and very attentative to everyone and the food being served and keeping it stocked as there was a lot of people this trip. Great location and close to the beach. In a nutshell.... we love staying at this Best Western!!!

First if all, let's get this out in the open. This is a beach hotel. This isn't a 5 star resort, luxury condo, etc. The doors face the outside, there is sand everywhere no matter how often you sweep (trust me, I had a broom and swept 6 or 7 times a day), and it is hot & humid. That said, this is one of the best, cleanest places to stay in Port A and their rates are less than other hotels. The staff here was amazingly nice and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful (hot breakfast, fruit, and pastry options that align with a hotel in this price range). There's also a reading nook/area for kids that's stocked with books and kids seating. I would have died for something like this when I traveled with my kids when they were younger. Genius! They also have a little business center with three computers to use, which came in handy when I needed to locate my phone through an app. If you're like us and spend most of your time on the beach or at a restaurant when you're in Port A, don't waste your money on a fancy condo. This place is all that you need and near most of the restaurants. Want to call out some of the staff because they were worth it. Meagan and Reid at the front desk. So nice and helpful. Always asking what can we do for you. Sharla in housekeeping (and another lady with dark hair that was so nice) were both kind and helpful. I saw both of them in the mornings and at the end of day and they were dripping with sweat by the end, really worked hard to get their rooms turned around. Kathy and Cynthia in the kitchen were so busy but always polite. Their cooking was great and they kept everything stocked which wasn't easy as the hotel was fully booked and you felt it in the morning at breakfast. Please keep doing what you're doing. It sets you apart from the rest. And please reward these employees, they are the reason we'll come back! Thanks!

I can honestly say, I was expecting an “ok”place to stay, but it was better than that. The hot breakfast was really good, the service was wonderful and the location was perfect. Most places are within walking distance including the beach. It's very easy to get around on a golf kart from this location as well. I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel, especially for a room with a kitchenette at this price point. They even had a box fan available for use.

This facility was amazing! Great staff and clean rooms and common areas. Lots of options for breakfast and great accommodations for your stay such as pool, golf cart parking, sand showers. Great location too!

All was good except this particular location did not have an elevator available. Not a big problem in my younger years, but not good now. Oh well. we lived through it! Wish we had noted this on the hotel info - learned a lesson!

Our original plans was to stay from sun-thurs but we decided to go a day early. Called and talked with Tammy, she was great. We ended up having to change rooms after the first night, but she took care of it all, even moved our stuff while we enjoyed the beach. Even moved us downstairs like we asked. Trip was wonderful and we really enjoyed the best western. Breakfast was great! Nice variety! Pool was clean and refreshing!

Everyone was great, from the check in and throughout the stay. My dad got locked out of the room and they called me to get permission to give him a key to get back in since the room was in my name. The front desk clerk called several times trying to reach me and apologized for calling so many times. The breakfast was really good. There were waffles that you make, in the shape of Texas and bacon, eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast, cereal, bagels, muffins, danish, fruit. Juice, milk, and coffee. I'm sure I missed something but they had something for everyone to eat. The person taking care of filling the foods did a great job keeping up with refilling when items became low. The pillows were amazing and the beds were clean and comfortable. Definitely will be staying again!

The customer service is great at this motel. Tammie went above and beyond to accommodate our room request. The rooms are clean and bed was very comfortable. Location is nice because you are just a few blocks from the entry to the beach. The motel also has a warm complimentary breakfast.

We've been staying at the Best Western in Port Aransas for the last 5 years and have never been disappointed. The staff is very friendly, GREAT LOCATION(couple blocks from the beach, across the street from the Port A Pizzeria, next door to a Stripes, and a quick walk to Bron's for golf carts, drinks and entertainment.), DELICIOUS continental breakfast, clean rooms, and comfy beds!

We were quite surprised at the cleanliness of the hotel. The full breakfast bar every morning was a definite plus , it's nice to be able to start your day off with your free breakfast prepared when you're ready to eat. This was a great location as you can access everything from Avenue G. Will probably come back again.

Wow! Our stay at this hotel was simply great. The staff was genuinely welcoming and helpful. The location is really fantastic with the beach an easy walk away and it is just as close to Old Town. The hotel has been updated and it shows. Breakfast options were plentiful. There is a large pool area that was clean and inviting. Lots of parking. Great stay. Highly recommend.

Large room with kitchen and couch. Short distance to beach, ferry, birding and nature sites, top restaurants and beach cart rentals (a couple cross the street). Second floor room in main building must have been next to building air conditioner that was heard through bathroom wall. Could hear next door conversations through the walls. Eggs, potatoes and sausage were standard for breakfast. And hot waffles. I liked it!

Very pleased with Best Western Port Aransas! The location was great and within walking distance to beach, restaurants and shops. The hotel has lots of outdoors seating options which made social distancing easy. The room and pool were clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating.

This was our first time to Port Aransas. We stayed for two nights and loved the location of this hotel. Port A is very much a golf cart town, they are everywhere! But we did all our travel on foot or in our truck. It was very easy to walk from the hotel to the beach or to Alister St which is the main road that has lot of shops and restaurants. (I will note that my husband and I had 20,000+ steps each day). Our room was spacious and had a nice kitchenette. I liked that we could open our door and get directly to our vehicle in the parking lot. I took advantage of breakfast each morning and was happy they were offering hot items (previous hotel was only going grab & go due to COVID). Staff was very friendly and allowed us to check in early/made suggestions on places to try. We did not try the pool, but I hear it's a fabulous 90 degrees! The hotel is also a block from Bron's which does golf cart and beach rentals, but for us it was about their outdoor yard games, live music, and drinks.

It was that Texas shaped waffle and that 90 degree pool that did it for me LOL. I had a great stay with my Girlfriend. The location was the best too because everything from the beach, to the bars, to the souvenir shops was all walking distance from the hotel.

Great room and service was exceptional. We just had a mattress that was a to worn we woke every morning very sore .It was very uncomfortable . But our room was excellent. We did not need any pans or utensils from home.

Can not thing of a better a better place to stay. Everything was wonderful. Great room, clean and neat. Plenty of pillows. Shower was hot and had lots of water pressure. Everyone kept their distance, felt very safe

The hotel staff was super nice and friendly. The hotel is minutes from the beach on a fun part of town. There are buggys to rent and cruise on the beach and neighborhood. The best part was that the pool was heated to 90 degrees! The hotel room itself was clean and spacious. There was even a library for the kids to read and buy books. The breakfast was decent, they had texas shaped waffles so that was cute and a hot tea/coffee/hot cocoa bar. Not the fanciest place ever, but perfect for our stay. We had a great time with family and friends.

Clean rooms, clean grounds, quick check in and check out, pool heated and very well kept, friendly and helpful staff, close to the beach and downtown activities, felt safe with night security patrolling the parking lot and grounds. We would definitely stay here again.

Kathy the breakfast lady. Is so wonderful. We love coming and seeing her friendly face and great breakfast. She made bacon for our 9 year old son for him. He asked the first day because they did not have it and she made it for him the next day. Made him and our family feel valued and special.

We've stayed here many times, and it's our hotel of choice in Port A for many reasons- it's kid friendly, the pool is heated, the breakfast is free and has a lot of variety, staff is welcoming, and it's clean. It's your basic no-frills hotel but our 7 year old loves it and it's a part of our Port A tradition at this point. It's a few blocks from the beach, easily walkable, or you can go right next door and rent a golf cart.

Poor Customer Service. Was not given consideration when I requested to extend my stay. Would not hardly speak to me when I politely asked a question. Never had a problem with Best Western ever. I will not be returning.

Very clean hotel, we stayed in the king suite. Nice room with lots of space for my family. I always wish beds were more comfortable but that's to be expected. Didn't have issues getting extra towels as needed. Would recommend and would stay here again

The rooms are cozy and very clean! We enjoyed our stay. It was close to the beach so we could walk and the pizza place across the street is really good! We can't wait to go back again soon and stay even longer!

I stay here every time I'm in Port Aransas to fish. Excellent service, property is well maintained, and front desk is customer focused! They have done a nice managing the COVID situation. I always feel safe staying here.

Great place to stay. We were able to upgrade our room to a kitchenette because we wanted to cook fresh fish and shrimp. In a matter of minutes we were upgraded. The employees worked very hard to keep the place clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was good and filling. I already miss the Texas waffles. My wife lost her earring and didn't know where. We received a call from the hotel saying the found it. Thanks Ms. Charlotte and ms. Jennifer. You will not be disappointed!!

Everything you need. Breakfast items included, coffee 24/7, heated pool. Walk to restaurants and the beach is 2 blocks.

Very nice, very clean. Everything was newly furnished with new appliances, we can't wait to plan another weekend. The beach was an easy walk also plenty of restaurants within walking distance, the pool looked amazing also.

No part of our stay there was bad the rooms were freshly remodeled and clean with tile floors, the pool was a great 90 degrees. The breakfast was good. And the staff was very friendly. The beach was only a 5 minute walk away.

The facilities are great, location a walk to the beach and the staff is fantastic. The rooms are up to date and, if you have the opportunity, take the rooms upstairs with the kitchenette, comes in handy for multiple nights and worth the money. When we come to Port A, this hotel is our first choice when it's just the two of us.

There roaches in bathroom and vanity, When stripping the beds there hairs embedded into the beds and blankets, front hotel staff was told and was I guess you should of said something sooner about it. Guest above us were so loud thought the cirus was in town. Hiusekeepers were very friendly with each encounter. Breakfast was old and stale and very nasty.

This BW is the best I've ever stayed in, and that's saying a lot. The tools are large and everything is clean and functioning properly. The staff is a dream team of happy, helpful people who never fail to meet your needs.

The staff, hotel, amenities, and breakfast were just perfect! I certainly will recommend to my friends and associates staying here. Breakfast is great, I would suggest Picante sauce available for the scrambled eggs, like Pace Picante sauce.

The location of this hotel is about 2 blocks from the beach. Located in close proximity to stores, shops, and restaurants. The staff is fabulous! We enjoyed the on-site breakfast each morning. We also used the heated pool that was heated to 90 degrees and comfortable to swim in! The check-in was quick and easy. The housekeeping staff were excellent and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We actually left a clothing item in the room when we checked out and they actually called us to come pick it up. I appreciate the honesty and hospitality and will be returning as often as possible! We've made 2 trips in the past week! Would highly recommend this hotel!

We have made this inn our home away from home since August of 2020. We spend a couple of nights a nights a month here. The property is clean and inviting. We feel safe here. The team members are exceptionally friendly. The breakfast is AOK, as good as we have seen at competing hotels and motels. Kathy sets a good spread. We will be back next year..

The towels were so soft, the toiletries were rich and the cleanliness of the whole Inn was pristine! The continental breakfast was Amazing! Best Ever! Well priced!! Next time we hope to have more time to enjoy the Pool. We'll see y'all again! Happy Holidays!

First the good. Breakfast. Kathy the lady who did it was GREAT! Caring, kind, attentive. The bad, the floor in the room. Second floor so sand should have been a low concern. It was. I have very low standards for the floor at the coast yet the dirty floor couldn't even meet my low standard.

The Port A Best Western is our go to when we want to get away. The heated pool is always a plus especially in winter. The breakfast is consistently good and the staff has always been kind and friendly. It is also great to know that the beach is only a minute drive from the hotel.

Saw their sign on an earlier trip. Weather turned cooler and heated pool was a draw. We could also walk to the beach every morning for exercise. Right next door was Third Coast Theater with live music.

I always stay at this best western when I am at the beach. It is perfectly situated. It is very easy to walk to the beach or shopping. There are plenty of eating options within walking distance as well.

We stayed here for a week in the King Suite which provided us a kitchen and big fridge and dishwasher along with a little stove top. Not far from the beach at all, quiet, saved us money by making our own meals. The room was so clean and smelled clean!! In the mornings while my husband deep sea dishes i spent a good portion swimming at their pool. Very relaxing! Yes We will definitely come back to this hotel again as we try to make it to Port A a few times a year!

Comfortable beds, pillows, shiny clean bathroom, microwave, fridge, cable, internet. No funky hotel room smell either. Pretty scenery. You can walk across the street for pizza and beer at Port A Pizza, rent golf carts and there is a convenience store to pick up a beach pass for your vehicle. Beach is a few blocks away. Really easy to get too from this hotel. My only advice, bring a floormat, house shoes, or some socks to walk around your room in. Otherwise you'll be wiping sand off the soles of your feet the whole time in your room. It's in the stair wells too so it's almost impossible not to track it in. They still have a limited breakfast selection that includes hot food. It will be served up for you by order. Not bad for $100 a night.

The team members at this property were 10 of 10, friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The room was clean and made us free quite safe during this C19 pandemic. At check in the young lady referred us to some local places (San Juan and Virginia's) to eat and her suggestions proved to be spot on. The pizza place right across the street serves good pies. The pool area was spotless as was the whole property. These folks all care about their Best Western. The beach is a short walk turning right out of the parking lot and a $12 season pass buys beach parking rights. Walking gets you there in ten or so minutes. The hotel has a handy sand shower right in front. Breakfast is included and is grab and go. For a grab and go meal it is AOK and ample with lots of choices and a friendly server. We are already booked for another visit next month and are looking forward to it.

We experienced loud and unruly guest above us during both stays. I suggest the hotel not put families with children above the kitchen suites. We paid the premium but we're very unhappy with the noise each night. Parking was a problem because of the golf carts. Guest with golf carts take 2 or more parking spaces which creates parking issues.

The room was extremely clean. Smelled so good too. Shower had excellent pressure. Only thing was the bed was a little too soft for us. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lady on the front desk was very welcoming. Pool was clean, lots of towels great place to cool off after a day at the beach.

Great location, 3 blocks walk from the beach, and many nice restaurants. Very clean and hygienic. The staff was very friendly. Loved the little library located in the lobby. Small but clean and refreshing pool.

My granddaughter and I spent one night in Port Aransas, and were so very happy with the hotel. It was beautiful and clean. The water in the shower was hot....that was a big deal for us, since we had been in another location with NO hot water for 4 nights! Everyone we met was really great, and we WILL be back!

The check in process with Toni was easy and friendly. She was knowledgeable about the area and recommended some great places to eat. There was a free golf cart ride to the beach but it really wasn't very far to walk either. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a closet, a mini fridge and a coffee pot. The bed was comfortable too and so were the pillows. I will certainly be back.

Very nice staff and close to the beach. Clean rooms. The location was in walking distance to the beach and around a lot of shops and food. Will stay again in the future. Will refer others to stay and enjoy this Hotel.

The Best Western did not disappoint. Large comfy rooms with great AC. Two blocks from the beach. Great place to rent a golf cart and make the rounds. Strips across the street to refill beer and snacks. Would stay again.

As always, we were both pleased with the BW Port Aransas. Jerri is always very friendly when we check in. Our room was very clean. Because of Covid, every employee had on a mask. The practices they had in place to insure the safety of guests and employees were evident. Breakfast options were very good. Again, the safety of guests was evident in the breakfast area. Cyndi provided guests with the breakfast items of choice. She was very helpful and attentive to those in the breakfast area. If you are coming to the island, we highly recommend BW Port Aransas

This hotel made our stay comfortable and relaxing. Could not have asked for a better stay. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Give the the COVID restrictions, the breakfast was remarkable good.

The facility was very clean, both the lobby and our room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this Best Western to others and we would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay. Jerri at the front desk was absolutley amazing in helping us with our stay. The parking lot is well lit, the rooms are nice for this type of hotel, breakfast was good and hand many things to choose from, and the pool was clean.

This hotel was great. The location I only a minute or 2 from the beach. The pool is heated. They have a washer and dryer for guests at a very reasonable price. Golf cart rentals are within a block, The breakfast was amazing. It changes daily and there is always fresh fruit. It is super clean. Housekeeping is always around to help you if you need anything. A wonderful hotel.

Hotel is a few blocks from the beach and there a lot of stores and restruants with in walking distance. Loved the modern feel of the room and the hotel in general. The big walk-in shower was a PLUS. The room has plenty of space and get around and to put all your things.

This was our first visit to Port Aransas. We nailed it with the hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and great amenities. What a great location! Walking distance to the beach, dining, souviners. We'll be bak!

Our stay at the Best Western in Port Aransas was beyond wonderful. The rooms clean and well stocked with items. The breakfast was perfect. We were there 2 weeks and the staff had varied options which covered all diet needs of the guests. The fruit was always fresh. Please note this place is perfect for a beach vacation. The place is only a few blocks from the beach. Pull out of the parking lot and it is a straight shot. Convince store, golf cart rentals and a pizza place across the street. I am sure there were other nice places to stay but I wouldn't trade my time spent at Best Western in Port Aransas, The room we had met all our needs. I am handicapped and the staff went out of their way to meet my needs. For that I appreciate them greatly. It helped me to enjoy our trip. The room was spacious with a full kitchen with utensils supplied. Nice big TV. HBO. Walk In shower with a shower stool. The decor was pleasing to the eye. The room was clean . The breakfest provided was great, They had everything you could think of. Waffles and toppings, Hot sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes, warm flour tortillas to make burittos. Wow what can I say. There was fresh cut up fruitalong with other fruits. Cereal and all kinds of bread products, Hot coffee. The motel foyer was beautifully decorated and nice places to sit and eat. They are also putting in a library for kids and adults which I think is a sweet deal for everyone. The front check in staff were always helpful and friendly. The outside was clean and tidy. In the area visiting friends and family; pictures of the property and pricing of the room help us decide to stay here. The pictures were accurate; pretty much everything had been redone and the housekeeping staff kept our room super clean and made sure all the expendables were replaced each day. Front desk personnel very friendly and helpful & lastly the free morning breakfast was a couple rungs above the normal - lots of selections and all was fresh & kept well stocked.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, good location, 100 degree pool, good location. Three blocks from the beach, three doors down from UTV rental, fuel station, Short drive from many restaurants. Great birding destination!

We stayed here for an extended weekend. The building shows some wear & tare, probably from Harvey. The room was pretty standard, 2 queen beds, cable TV & wifi, small fridge, microwave and coffee bar. The lobby area was redone and we loved the reading for adults & children. The breakfast was probably the best we've ever seen at a hotel. Personalized waffle makers were a hit with my kids. About 2 or 3 blocks from ocean. Great, friendly staff.

The Best Western Aransas was an excellent choice for our family. The staff at the front desk were wonderfully hospitable and accommodating. Kathy is the woman who runs the breakfast and it was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had!! She made a special dish for New Year's Day and it was so wonderful and special. And the outdoor pool is heated which makes it a perfect place for a winter getaway. I would definitely recommend this place.

My wife and I stayed for three days, a short winter break. The motel is very well maintained. Good breakfast, friendly staff, even books one can borrow in the lobby. a neat little outside area with tables that'd be great in 70+ weather. The suite was spacious. we will come back.

The wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Best Western in Port A. We arrived on the 26th and left on 29th. The 27th was my birthday and we went to Moby Dicks to celebrate. The hotel is very clean with a wonderful staff. Nice heated pool at 90 degrees. Good breakfast buffet came with the room. Bed was a little too hard for our liking but bare able.

Great hotel, good location, facility in good shape. The heated pool was wonderful, breakfast was better than most free hotel breakfasts, staff was very accommodating to our needs. We did not have reservations stayed 1st night in a room with a full kitchen dinning area very reasonable rate decided to stay another night this room was a regular room still very spacious and clean

We needed handicap accessible and they got us in a room immediately. Spotless and perfect. Will stay here whenever we come back. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, lots of options. Could not have asked for more!

Staff was very attentive, professional and friendly. Paul who took the time to find the child that lost their stickers. Kathy who kept the breakfast bar clean and well stocked. Toni who made sure we had every thing we needed. The hotel was clean and the beds comfortable. There was even more towels in the room than we needed.

The place looked brand new. We had a studio. The small kitchen area was ample for our needs with a full size refrigerator. The room was nice and bright. The shower was very nice. The breakfast was better than most for that type. The staff were quite helpful. The pool area was nice. We only had to walk a few blocks to the beach or you could, as we did another day, drive to the beach and on the beach. Different! Restaurants and shopping were exceptionally convenient and good. We would return to this location.

Tammie was welcoming and helpful. The pool was, as advertised, a warm 90 degrees. Breakfast was great. Books were available to check out to read on the beach. Room was immaculate and the bed was so comfortable.

We had an awesome time at the coast and the Best Western in Port Aransas is one of the reasons why. They have very ample rooms for the handicap. The shower in the bathroom is very easy to handle for a handicap person. The bed are so comfortable we had no problems falling asleep.

Car broke down so I wanted to stay somewhere comfortable. Check in was very fast and the lady was helpful. Bedding was wonderful, it made my stressful night better. Their coffee isn't the greatest, which was a problem, but the rest of the breakfast was okay.

Stayed here for 4 nights mid-November. Comfy beds, nice and dark, quiet, great breakfast and heated pool. Close walk to the beach, restaurants and coffee. Lots of parking and clean and fresh. Hot tub would have been the icing on the cake and perhaps a door mat to help with sand accumulation. Great value!

Great staff and I do mean ALL staff, clean rooms, breakfast area, and lobby, wonderful and varied breakfast choices, excellent location, and the room amenities (including the kitchen) were terrific! Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

I would not stay at any other place in port Aransas. Everytime I have asked for something here, it has been done with a smile and a friendly response. Rooms are always clean spotless and the staff is always working to make our stay enjoyable. They are very professional, polite and will go the extra mile. Management must be please to have such a great team of nice people.

We stayed here for two nights recently. It is a very nice and clean hotel with friendly and knowledgeable employees. Check in/out was easy and fast. Good breakfast, too. Easy parking was right outside our door. There are 3 floors and there is no elevator, so be aware of that. We chose a bottom floor room and only a couple of times we were aware of outside noise in the parking lot, but never late at night.

WOW. from check in to check out our stay was great. The pool being 90 degrees was a bonus. The breakfast was the best part of our stay. It is the perfect way to start your day, and leave a lasting impression on a Hotel.

Port Aransas is one of the most beautiful and well kept beaches in Texas. Looking for a great off-season bargain, we hit upon the Best Western hotel. We've stayed there before but since they have re-modeled since Hurricane Harvey, it is clean, updated and well managed. The pool is beautiful and warm (90 degrees) for these fall mornings and days. And the breakfasts are really excellent. When in Port Aransas, give it a try.

Good location in Port A, which is close to beach and local restaurants. Rooms are comfortable with plenty of space. Some elements of rooms looking a bit tired but this did not detract from overall stay. Good choice at breakfast and coffee available during the day. Great swimming pool with plenty of seating. Overall a great base for a stay in Port A.

This is a great hotel hotel to stay in on the island. The staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is good. The free breakfast is always good with a nice selection of food. The pool area was very clean and the water temperature was perfect. I am always happy with my stays!

This hotel property has always been very clean on the property and the guest rooms. The staff is outstanding. All are very personable and helpful to us very time we visit. We have found rooms prices to be competitive.

We had a great stay. Tammie and Karen were fantastic at helping us plan our little beach visit, pointing out some out of the way places to drink and ocean watch. Room was large and well appointed, AC not too loud. Great water pressure and only 1 mile from the fantastic beach! Hint: to park on the beach, you need to buy an annual pass for $12...buy it at the Stripes next door. Quiet and comfortable with full sized frig etc that we didn't need. It was a really nice place to stay. There is a pool but...there's a beach...a mile away...an amazing beach. We went off season so the place was ours...it was great.

We have stayed at the BW several times. It is close to the beach, convenient restaurants and stores. The price is good. They accommodated us on the last trip {9-27/29-19} excellently. We had 3 rooms, I booked about a month out. I called about 2 weeks prior and asked that the rooms be close together if at all possible. We had 2 connecting rooms and the 3rd was a few doors down. I had also requested that we be on the 1st floor due to my husband having had both knees replaced recently. They were also able to accommodate us with our rooms being on the 1st floor.

My husband and I needed a relaxing trip to just get away for a few days. The Best Western in Port Aransas was perfect. The staff could not have been better. We even decided to stay an extra night. We will be back.

The staff is exceptional, our rooms were exceptional. Breakfast is a big plus. We stayed here last year and will keep coming back. Value for money just works for us. The location is great too, easy access to everything.

Check in was quick and staff wasvery understandable when we arrived before official check in time. Room was clean and spacious. Housekeeping was great. Breakfast was great with many hot and cold options to satisfy everyone.

The room was nice, service was great, but it just wasn't worth $600 for two nights. It's like if you bought a really good grilled cheese sandwich for $100, sure it was amazing, but was it really with $100? I suppose that's my fault for accepting to pay that amount, but I just wouldn't go again or recommend it anymore.

Helpful friendly staff and very comfortable rooms. Clean refreshing pool. Free breakfast buffet is pretty good. Coin operated washer and dryer came in handy so I didn't have to bring home sandy beach towels and clothes.

Before my trip I read the reviews for this hotel and I can tell you that they are all true this hotel is very nice and clean and the people working there are very nice and helpful is also within walking distance to the beach

Where do I begin? As a former hotel supervisor in one of the largest chains in the world, I am very discerning and I know what to look for. First of all, the level of professional by every employee, from the front desk, breakfast attendants and housekeeping, they are truly at the level of a 5 star hotel easy! They are working at the top level in the industry. Outstanding! I was amazed. Then, the value for the room was beyond my expectation. The breakfast was superb in every way! The location is excellent! Walk to almost everything, including the beach! I am truly amazed. I was not expecting any of that! Thank you! Ya'll rock!

I was told by a co-worker to stay at this Hotel when visiting Port A. I took his advice and have returned every year since, as my family does Port A trip every summer. I noticed the cleaning team works as a group, they take great pride to make the rooms extra nice. The breakfast maker shows the same passion. It's amazing what pride and passion in your job can do for a business! I noticed it's the same staff again this year. if you believe cleanliness is close to Godliness--- you'll love this hote!

Our leisurely stay at the Best Western is always top notch! The breakfast is the best we've ever had, with a large variety that differs daily.. It has us coming back every year. The rooms are clean, and staff is friendly.

For a motel, this one is not bad. Comfortable beds and very friendly service. The acoustics aren't very good, as one can hear everything going on outside the door. Proximity to the beach is good and the staff have a lot of local knowledge. Very clean, with decent breakfast.

The room was clean, the breakfast was good & the pool was well maintained. I would definitely come back to the Best Western Port Aransas. Even though the breakfast area was very busy they were able to maintain all of the breakfast items so that everyone was able to get whatever they wanted.

Great experience from start to finish. Newly remodeled downstairs unit was very close to beach. Service was excellent. The breakfast was outstanding, well presented, and attended well. I stayed at a five star resort in Florida the previous week, and this property was equal in service and cleanliness for sure!

We have stayed here several times. The rooms have been totally updated and are clean. The staff and manager take care of things and are very knowledgeable about what's open and whats not- what to do and where to go.

Clean rooms and the breakfast bar was excellent. Check in had some issues, but the overall experience was very good. Breakfast had a wide variety of foods. The waffles were extremely good. The staff were always helpful.

From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone is helpful and happy to help. Breakfast staff is wonderful, breakfast was hot, fresh and delicious Rooms were VERY CLEAN and loved the shower! I have curly hair and hotel showers never seem to get all of the shampoo out of my hair like my shower at home, this one did and I appreciate the update!

Rooms were clean and spacious. Just a this location is just a few minutes from the beach and a short drive to restaurants. Staff was very courteous and friendly. Rooms are separated from the main lobby but you can park fairly close to your room.

The staff made sure we had the food we wanted each morning. The front desk staff was helpful with suggestions for eating out and for activities to do. I had an 18 month old and a 9 yr old and they treated them well!!! Will stay here again!!

Friendly staff , good breakfast with good selection very clean through out . Good lighting for security. Was fairly quite for the area. Resolved any problems very quickly. Plenty of parking, close to restaurants and convenience stores.

We took our five year old grandson to see the beach for the first time. With only a couple weeks planning, we were lucky to snare a mini-suite with 2 queens and pull out sofa for 3 adults and 1 kid. Note that this hotel is sort of a motor lodge style with two floors and rooms are accessed from the parking lot and stairs/balcony. No elevator. We requested and were given a first floor room, #148, on the far end from the office. It was very quiet. The room was clean and comfortable when we arrived but we had a slight problem with the shower not turning on. Maintenance quickly fixed the valve problem. Location is near golf cart rentals (reserve in advance!), restaurants, and just a few blocks from the beach. Parking permits are required for beach parking. Rooms have tile flooring instead of carpet. Yes, the floors get sandy quickly but you are in a beach town. Sand is everywhere. You cannot escape it! But there is an outdoor shower rinse station in the front area of the hotel where you can rinse the beach off before going to your room. And a clean, small swimming pool directly behind the office. Good, fresh breakfast buffet in the mornings with lots of options.

This place is clean, the staff is more than helpful and the price is right. Every time we visit, we bring our own champagne and have mimosas with breakfast, the staff is more than okay with this. We like our coffee in the afternoon and the coffee is always hot and fresh. Highly recommended.

This is our second time staying here. We love the location. It is a few blocks from the beach. You can walk, rent a golf cart, or take your car. It is also right across the street from The awesome pizza place we love. Bron's is right down the street for renting carts, karaoke, ice cream, snow cones, etc. The beds are WONDERFUL. The parking lot is lit up and secure. I never felt unsafe at night. My main concern was that servicing of the rooms wasn't until 4-5p some days. Sometimes someone would even walk by and randomly ask us, if they saw us, if our room had been cleaned. It never was. Maybe they are short staffed. When they did clean it was wonderful but like I said it wasn't until very late in the afternoon. They also would only make the bed and not change the sheets which I thought was odd.

We made a last minute decision to travel to Port Aransas. Since only staying for one night, we were unable to rent a condo, so found the Best Western which was close to the beach. We were so pleased with our stay, we will return to this Best Western on our future trips. I don't know if we have ever stayed at a Best Western, but we will certainly consider one in the future. This hotel had one of the better selections of breakfast items of any hotels we have stayed at. Mainly the warm tortillas for breakfast tacos - who doesn't love a breakfast taco. They also had fresh fruit and cottage cheese to help me not feel so guilty about the egg and potato taco.

We always stay at this hotel for the following reasons: free breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff, close to the beach, close to Bron's Beach Carts, close to Stripes to pick up beverages and ice. You can't go wrong by staying at the Best Western in Port A!

First time I stayed at the Best Western in Port A, the staff was very welcoming and provided a map of restaurants in the area. The breakfast area was clean an food was yummy. The hotel entrance was decorated really beautiful.

Following their recent renovation after Hurricane Harvey, the rooms were like new, fixtures spotless, had microwaves and small refrigerators. The handicapped bathroom was great and the two queen size beds allowed for a spacious lounging environment. The complimentary breakfast was"the BEST", almost anything you wouldeat, even offer to prepare eggs specially for you. Very clean. Front deak personnel outstanding. Had snacks and drink machines inside lobby. Heated swimming pool. THE BEST at reasonable rates.

Just 5 - 10 min unhurried walking to beach, comfort and convenient exterior with a rest spaces, Parking. Quiet. A lot of air in a room, updated restrooms, fridge, microwave, comfortable bed, no smell of any chemicals or chlorine. Great full breakfast. The total experience was pleasant. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was super, heated pool, not one thing to complain about. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Walking distance from restaurants and bars.

Had a wonderful stay. Caring staff. Great breakfast. Stayed a week. If we needed anything they were quick to get it to us such as extra toilet paper or towels since we had a large family staying. Kathy the breakfast lady was always on her toes with cleanliness and restock of food.

As expected, our stay at Best Western Ocean Villa was great. We were able to get checked in early so we could maximize our time on the beach. The front desk clerk was very friendly. When we got to our room, we found it to be very clean. Every employee we passed interacted with us. Ocean Villa is our go to place when we are in Port Aransas.

Our stay here was great! The room was clean and comfortable. Cleaned daily with fresh towels. Good small breakfast to start the day.We loved the outdoor heated pool. Very good location close to restaurants and beach. Staff very friendly and helpful. We will stay here on our next visit for sure.

I use this hotel for birding programs that are offered through Road Scholar and the Univerdity of Texas. We stay for 5 nights each program and run approximately 6-8 programs per year. The facilities and staff are excellent. Could not ask for more. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. In fact, it's a must!!

The hotel itself was in a great location! I've always wanted to stay here because of the location. We arrived late on a Friday night. The room seemed pretty warm, but I thought that was because we didn't get in till late. The next day we got up early and had the free breakfast. They had a lot of items on the buffet. It was one of the better free breakfasts that I have had. We got ready and spent all day at the beach and the heated pool. I was a little sad because there was no hot tub. That is always my favorite part. But the pool area was nice. They do offer towels as well! Went back to the room and it still felt warm in there. I am always cold so we knew something was wrong. We turned it down as low as it would go. When we returned from dinner it was still fairly warm in there. I told my hubby to let them know. We were offered a fan. That would be my biggest complaint is that the air didn't work properly in our room. They couldn't move us because they were full that weekend. When they came to our room and offered the fan it was more so the way they offered it. Just kind of rude about it. It was cooler outside than it was in our room.

Great location for birding by being proximal to a number of diverse habitats. The BW was among the better places that I have stayed while birding. This was a repeat stay and I was not disappointed, the service and accommodations were their usual top quality.

We came to Port Aransas for the bird-watching, and we found this Best Western to be an excellent home-base from which to explore the many wildlife refuges along the birding corridor of southeast Texas. Things we especially appreciated were the always-welcoming folks at the front desk; the excellent maps we were given when we first checked in; an immaculate room with well-equipped kitchenette; the above-average complimentary breakfast with healthy options like fresh fruit and whole-grain breads; the easy walk to the beach; and the Port A Pizzeria right across the street (with salads and other offerings besides pizza). A highlight for families was the 90-degree-heated pool (although we never got around to trying it because it seemed to be always occupied). Port Aransas still shows the effects of Hurricane Harvey in the many damaged buildings that have not yet been repaired or torn down, but the town was bustling otherwise. Restaurants we particularly appreciated were the San Juan Mexican restaurant in front of Paradise Pond and MacDaddy's BBQ on Beach Street. There is an IGA grocery store a few blocks away from the hotel, as well as a Stripe Convenience Store practically next door. All the main roads have a sidewalk on one side, so one can walk safely from the hotel to anywhere in town. This town is blessed with wonderful birding spots: the Wetlands Park across the street from the Post Office on Route 361; the Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center on Ross Avenue (the boardwalk re-opened while we were there); the Charley's-Pasture section of the Port Aransas Nature Preserve (with a path now open between The Community Park and Port Street); Joan and Scott Holt Paradise Pond on the road to the ferry; and the Port Aransas Jetty at the end of Cotter Avenue. A 30-minute drive to the south brings you to Padre Island National Wildlife Refuge, and an hour's drive to the north to Aransas National Wildlife Refuge with its wintering flock of endangered whooping cranes. Highlights of our bird list for this trip in mid-March included two whooping cranes, many roseate spoonbills, a gorgeous Prothonotary warbler, yellow-throated warblers, many sightings of scissor-tailed fly-catchers, a northern waterthrush, and a loggerhead shrike, as well as elegant regulars like avocets and stilts, and herons and egrets of all kinds. Here on the coast of Texas with its shorter trees, it is easier to see warblers than in places where you have to crane your neck up towards the canopy, and we were treated to close-up views of parula warblers in full breeding color, black-and-white warblers within arm's reach, and countless yellow-rumps. For anyone who loves wild places, this town will feel alien, with commercial and industrial development crowding in on every little pocket of nature. But the thing to keep in mind is the devotion that has gone into preserving and restoring the remaining pieces of undeveloped land. Kudos to the people of Port Aransas who have worked so hard to keep their town open to wildlife. One suggestion — if you are not a college student, you might want to avoid Spring Break week in mid-March when the town is over-run with party-ers and beach carts blaring music. Finally, thanks to all the staff at the Port Aransas Best Western for their contributions to a relaxing and comfortable vacation for two escapees from winter in New England.

After a nice drive from Austin the cold front caught up to me and was very happy to see our pool is 90 degrees on the sign in front. Great check in with a friendly upbeat desk clerk,she was helpful with a place to eat and warned if you don't like smoke stay away from these bars. Great stay with clean room and great bed.

Stayed at Best Western Port Aransas on 3/8 - 3/10. I'm a germophobe so I was very happy to see that the room was clean and looked like it was renovated recently. It also has wooden floor instead of carpet. Bathroom was clean, including the shower curtain. Towels were fluffy so you could tell they were not several years' old. We had a late check-in at 2:00 am and hotel staff was very accommodating. By 7:00 am, we were awakened by heavy footsteps and whatever stuff being dropped on the floor from the room above ours. When I reported this to the front desk, they immediately gave us a different room on the second level. This hotel has 2 storeys so my recommendation is to get a room on the second level. Only drawback is there is no elevator. The hotel has a pool that is heated to 90 degrees so guests can swim even if it's cold outside. Breakfast was served 6:30 am - 9:30 am. It's typical continental breakfast you will find in a Best Western, Residence Inn, Holiday Inn Express, etc. except the breakfast area was kept meticulously clean by hotel staff and the food has better quality, e.g. scrambled eggs and sausages cooked perfectly, not a lot of mess in the waffle maker nor toaster oven. Hotel is conveniently located near restaurants, grocery store, and 5 minute drive to the beach. Overall I liked the cleanliness of the hotel room and breakfast area, central location of the hotel, and very friendly and helpful hotel staff. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Port Aransas.

The trip was just a chance to have some true relaxation. We took our time doing whatever was available. Sightseeing was our main objective. We spent some time at the ship channel, watching the ships come in and out. Watching the dolphins was highest on our list.

Friendly staff, comfortable bed, clean room and good breakfast with the usual eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc. The location was good, walkable to the beach and some restaurants. What more could you ask for?

Amazing kitchen for a suite. Huge room big fridge, new and clean. Huge bathroom too. In a quiet neighborhood. The only downside is the room was very dark with no good window other than onto the parking lot

Thick dense fog outside but our BW was all blue skies and clearly spectacular....thank you to the awesome staff! especially Jerri the front desk lady...my.lazy husband wanted to move downstairs and I wanted near the pool...she fulfilled both needs...oh and of course the cook...I didn't get her name but wow..full breakfast! We had not been back to Port Aransas since Hurricane Harvey. Before Harvey, we always stayed at the Best Western and it was good. It seems that they have totally "retooled" now and it is excellent! Wonderful shower, clean room, and a complimentary breakfast with more variety than we have ever seen! Fruit salad, breakfast tacos, do-it-yourself "McMuffins", and, oh, those Texas-shaped waffles (with a heart in the middle for butter and syrup!) Though we didn't use the pool, it was heated to 90 degrees for the January weather. Highly recommended!

One of the higher priced rooms in the area. The hotel was clean the staff was helpful. We got a good nights sleep and took advantage of the Breakfast in the morning. I would recommend BWPA and will probably stay again the next time I am in town.

Out door pool was perfectly warm enough to swim under stars. Breakfast was always delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I like the new tile floors instead of carpet floors. I loved the decor. Parking was spacious. Right across street of best Pizza place on island.

I have stayed at Port Aransas Best Western several times in 2018. I love the staff, the rooms, and the awesome Vibe that surrounds this place.I am always treated very well and I know I can count on a decent room and a good night's sleep.

We recently made a quick trip to Port Aransas this weekend to look at the various beach RV Parks for a spring break getaway. We stayed at the Best Western Port Aransas on recommendation of my wife's co-worker. It was a nice clean budget friendly hotel. It is next to one of the beach access roads, however is a couple of blocks from the beach. Check in was a breeze, and the evening staff gave us several suggestions for dinner that night. The room was nice and clean and on the first floor. Breakfast was your standard provided fare, and was fine. It was funny that they have a texas state shaped waffle maker. The second evening the on duty manager suggested a wonderful place for dinner which we enjoyed greatly. Overall this is a great value for the money, the room was clean and comfortable. We would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed one night for a weekend getaway. Check-in was fast, friendly, and best of all early! Our room was clean and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was really good too. We'll definitely be back!

We have been coming to Port A for a few years now and always stay here the first night. They have remodeled nicely after the storm. The desk people were the best. Very friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was right. Had one of the suite and it was more than we could have asked for. We will be back and this is our place to stay. Very nice

We really liked this property, starting with the excellent desk staff, right down to the spacious room, with all the comforts of home and even an awesome Pizza Place right across the street! It was quiet and comfortable. The room was spotless. The breakfast was sumptuous and well prepared. The hotel has apparently been “redone” since Hurricane Harvey, since everything looks new.

A nice and clean hotel, no surprises - good or bad. I would not call this a romantic place to stay but the price to what you get for it ratio yields optimal results for the area. Located walking distance to the beach. Breakfast is included and there are many options to choose from. Our room was average size, the amenities were new-ish. You can actually operate your A/C unit and not freeze to death. Noise level was minimal.

Quick fishing trip to Port Aransas, the Best Western is obviously completely redone since the hurricane. Looks great inside and out, great pool, staff uniformly pleasant and helpful-even for a midnight arrival! Well located, close to a variety of restaurants, etc

The service we received from this Best Western is going to be hard to beat. Check in was very pleasant and helpful. We took a king size room on the second floor and it worked out perfect for us. We got help from maintenance with our bags. The fridge and the microwave came in handy. The bed was very comfortable but a little high for me and they found a small stepping stool which worked out great. We liked the large TV and channel selections. The pool was heated and we enjoyed our evening swim. The breakfast selection was the best we have had in a long time. Considering that this area took such a serious hit last fall from Hurricane Harvey the hotel was well restored and in really great shape. We really liked the beach here and stayed two days and would have stayed longer if the weather had not gotten so bad. Would definitely stay here again.

Always accommodating to myself and any of my co-works when we are in Port Aransas. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful no matter the time of day or night. The convenient breakfast room is always delicious. Very good value. Very nicely rebuilt after Hurricane Harvey decimated the area in 2017.

Had a wonderful relaxing few days in Port A this week. The beach was uncrowded and the water perfect! Staying at Best Western was great! It's close to the beach, as well as restaurants and shopping. Staff was welcoming and gave us some great suggestions on places to eat. During our stay, my husband was wearing a shirt from Knoebels Amusement park located in our former home state. The lady at the front desk saw it and told she also used to live in PA and has been to that park. Small world! The hotel room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with lots of selections! We also enjoyed a nighttime swim in the heated pool which was open from 6am-11pm! This may be a small thing, but I really appreciated having two decent size trash cans in the room. Most hotels only have tiny trash cans, which get filled to quickly. Consider staying here on your next trip to the beach!

A very warm and welcoming hotel. This hotel has a great breakfast, and a very friendly staff. It is just blocks from a very nice beach. I never had a chance to visit the pool, but it looked very refreshing. I would stay here again ??

We had an awesome stay at the Port Aransas Best Western. Every employee was friendly and the manager asked how everything was going whenever we encountered her. The room was clean, beds comfortable, in-room amenities all in good working order, nice pool area and the best breakfast I have had at ANY hotel. This our favorite place to stay on Port A. It's close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. The staff is always helpful and they have one of the best breakfast we have found. The pool is large and very clean.

We stayed 3 nights here on our vacation and we were pleased. It rained the whole time we were there so we did not get to swim in the pool or do too much, but our room was very nice. We had a king size room that had a kitchenette in it - full size fridge, small cook top and a microwave, sink and dishwasher too. The bed was very comfy and the room was very large. We could hear our neighbors and their tv, we could really here them if they were in the bathroom and talking. The staff there was great - when we checked in they even provided a map and marked which restaurants were open and which ones they recommended. Check in was quick and so was check out. Breakfast was good but was the same each day. The waffles are amazing - I miss them. hahaha We will stay here again if we go back to the coast for vacation.

This is a really great place to stay. Because of Hurricane Harvey, many hotels and condos are still being restored in this area, but this one has already been fully renovated. It's like brand new! There was originally some confusion with our reservation but Tiffanie at the front desk made it right. She was delightful ... so friendly. She helped direct us to good restaurants and answered our many questions about the area. The front desk was staffed 24/7. The free breakfast was a plus because the restaurants in Port A are expensive. Kathy, the breakfast room attendant, always made sure everything was clean and well stocked and even made waffles for us. Food selection was amazing. Coffee and juices were available free around the clock.The location is great, being only a couple blocks from the beach. Wi-fi worked great. And the TV got a large range of channels. We were there for a week and stayed in a King Suite, very clean with a really comfy mattress. Suites have no tub but large shower that we loved. Suites also have full-size refrigerator, dish washer, range, dishes, and cookware, which is helpful because restaurants there are expensive. Hint: Buy groceries from Dollar General as IGA is very expensive. Thank you, Best Western Port A for providing such comfortable accommodations. We will be returning!!

I recently wrote a negative review about our stay at the Best Western the way housekeeping was cleaning of the floors, Tami reached out to me and we discussed the issue and what she could do , she has met with her housekeeping staff twice so far and Tami is making the changes that have changed my views on the hotel. We have stayed the 5 years and will be back because of the leadership and commitment Tami has shown in the past and going forward. Tami I will be back every year and will bring my family and tell my employees and my friends to stay with you and Best Western in Port Aransas, Texas . We were drawn to this rental due to its closeness to the beach as well as the high reviews; no one was wrong. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. They suffered from the hurricane as well but you could not tell. The hot breakfast was very satisfying and offered a wide variety of foods. I would definitely consider another visit.

When we arrived, we were told there were no rooms despite our reservation. It took the apathetic desk clerk over forty minutes to "find" a room for my family. And, she knew I had to young children in the car, late at night, waiting. She also discussed with me how much she did not like children while waiting to figure out how to "unlock" the available rooms. When we finally got into the room, about 40 minutes later, there was urine on the toilet. This place is just gross and the staff is completely apathetic. On top of that, the rooms are so overpriced and underrenovated. There are so many better options at Port A. Find a better venue for your family.

Once again we were not disappointed in our stay in Port Aransas Best Western. The facilities are so nice and clean and the staff is wonderful. It's an easy walk to the beach and convenient to other locations. It was wonderful! Somehow you feel at home.

We decided to make a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives, and were gladly recieved at the Best Western on Port Aransas. The young woman at check-in was extremely helpful and excited to have us stay with them on the island and provided us with maps and descriptions of many of the local businesses that have resumed operations. Though there were a few minor personal issues, we were extremely satisfied with our stay, and are looking forward to being able to make another trip and stay with this wonderful hotels family...

Great hotel and great staff! We had a great time. Best Western is in a great location to everything and you can walk to the beach. You can also walk to the gift shops. Restaurants are close by with a great pizza restaurant right across the street. There is a nice outside pool as well.

Could not have been more pleased. The hotel room was very clean and equipped with everything you would need. Location was excellent, walking distance to beach and shops. Highly recommend the hotel. Have stayed at more expensive hotels and this was just as nice. Staff was super friendly, pool was great, and again could not beat the location. Five stars!!

The staff were all friendly and helpful. They person at the front desk who was alone late on a Saturday afternoon took the time to set up the lift so I could get my quadriplegic daughter in the pool even calling the maintenance man to make sure all was done correctly and doing it all with a smile Breakfast was awesome Located in a good location close to the beach and near places to shop and eat

Stayed here several years ago and was worried rooms would show wear. Rooms are still clean and updated. Staff was helpful and breakfast room and area all clean. Will stay again. Easy access to the beach maybe half mile down the street.

I just visited Port Aransas and stayed for the second time at the Best Western. It is good to see the island back and hopping almost a year after the devastating Hurricane Harvey. The manager is very hands on and is very personable. The breakfast buffet was plentiful. The pool was clean and enjoyable. Our room was clean and well appointed. We loved the artwork on the walls. Great place to stay ! Keep it up!

One of the best hotels I have stayed at, all staff members were extremely helpful and service could not have been better. Always willing to help with directions and provided local knowledge of places to see or visit.

Smaller motel with exterior corridors. Newly remodeled and clean. Safe neighborhood. Several blocks to the beach; we ended up just driving. Very nice breakfast, and breakfast room attendant, Cynthia, was wonderful. Would stay again.

My wife and I just spent two nights at this very well maintained Best Western in Port Aransas, Texas. This is a well-established property, and we've stayed here several times in past years. Well maintained with attractive, comfortable, and clean rooms. All the usual Best Western amenities. Very nice complimentary breakfast 7 days a week. Lovely pool area for relaxation. Convenient complimentary off-street parking right in front of your room. Reserve early, as this hotel is heavily booked, especially during the busy tourist season. Recommended!

They have done a wonderful job updating the hotel after Hurricane Harvey. The rooms were nicely decorated, clean and the beds were so comfortable The staff was so friendly and always checking to see if we needed anything. The breakfast was great and plenty of options for my family. It is located within walking distance to the beach, a gas station with drinks, restaurants and anything you could need. This will be our go to hotel in Port Aransas and highly recommend it to anyone vacationing there.

They have done a great job restoring their hotel after Hurricane Harvey. Everything has been updated and was a great place to stay- slept well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the best I have ever had outside of an all inclusive resort- fresh fruit, eggs, sausage, assorted breads, waffles, etc. They gave us a map showing where the places were that were open- a nice touch.

Staff, rooms, and amenities are first-rate, and make for a comfortable stay. Ten minute walk door-to-waves. The copious breakfast buffet has variety to please everybody and is replenished constantly. Efficiency and the well-being of guests are top priorities. The nearby beach has lifeguards. A pizza restaurant (with its own buffet) and a convenience store are across the street.

I don't typically stay at BW hotels (except in Europe). I am normally at Marriotts, Hiltons, etc. But I may try out another BW based on my experience here. Some of the nicest staff members I have ever encountered in years of travelling. The front desk people were just great. The property is nice, the rooms clean, and the hotel is just a few blocks from the beach.

We stay at this location often when visiting Port A. It's always clean and neat in appearance. The hotel staff and management were helpful and accommodating. The location is near the beach and cart rentals which is very convenient!

We spent 2 nights here as part of our Texas family road trip. I didn't think the mattresses were very comfortable but most places I stay I could say the same thing. This is motel style, not having an elevator gave us a little extra workout carrying luggage but nothing that we couldn't handle. Our room was very clean and big enough to fit all of our luggage, including a jogging stroller and huge cooler; plus 2 adults and 2 children. The pool was heated to 90° and it was perfect! It's a great walking distance from the beach! About a 10 minute walk is all! The breakfast, in my opinion, is the best part!! Best breakfast at a hotel I've ever had! I'd definitely bring my family back to this hotel!!

Went to Port Aransas to celebrate our 52nd wedding anniversary, we go every year. A nice place, comfortable and very relaxing. Was surprised to have the 2018 SandFest in progress and looked at all the sand carvings on the beach, what an experience.

Excellent choice for value and service. The staff was the most professional I have experienced in all of my travels. I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Port A. Rooms had microwave and a small refrigerator which was perfect.

This hotel tries its best and manages mediocrity with flair. Paid $150 a night and was met with my neighbors smoking cigarettes on the veranda and a somewhat shady clientele at the breakfast table. Head ed up to the beach for a view of the oil rigs and came back with a film of industrial oil on our feet. The beach was covered in trash and my son had his jacket stolen on a dolphin trip. To be fair, the hotel does its best but I can't say we had fun here. Grim.

The rooms were large, and the kitchenettes were fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was great! The pool is heated, which made it a great way to relax after a day on the beach. The hotel is in a great location - a few blocks from the beach, a block or two from cart rentals and shopping, and there is a pizzeria across the street with a nice, affordable buffet for dinner. The views from the balconies are nice, overlooking beach houses but also able to see the sun rise in the morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay near the beach.

The staff at the front desk were very friendly we were greeted each time we walked in. The location of this hotel was excellent for the beach. We also did some fishing and this is an easy place to come and go. I will definitely stay here next trip to Port Aransas.

Clean, modern and staff very helpful! I am so glad I chose this hotel. Great location, room size is great and bed is huge (as I type this my partner is miles away). We are on our 11th night of our US trip and this is in our top 3 hotels so far. Coffee machine was a great welcome, the pool was 90 degrees, we parked right outside our room, neighbours couldn't be heard...all good! Well worth a few extra dollars to stay here!!

Great stay. Close to everything and the staff is on point. The entire place was very clean and well maintained. Our only complaint was a lack of parking when everyone has a golf cart rented for the weekend. Will stay again.

The hotel rooms, staff and location were all excellent. Port Aransas was a lovely vacation/beach town and the people were all very friendly. This hotel has made a great come back after the hurricane and was a wonderful place to stay.

We loved this hotel! Just a short walk to the beach or rent a golf cart to get around. Easy walking distance to great restaurants and shopping, too. There is a nice grilling area, out of the wind, complete with picnic tables. The pool was spotless, nice size and heated to 90 degrees!! The rooms are very clean and spacious. The breakfast was good, I loved the Texas shaped waffles! The staff were all friendly and very accommodating.

this place was very nice and clean the beach is so close you can hear the ocean the staff so amazing and friendly the breakfast was so good, this is just a wonderful place to stay,i would recommend it to any one for a trip

Enjoyed the professional service and promptness from the employees. Rooms are very clean and plenty of towels for everyone. The pool is very clean and a pleasant place to enjoy on a late evening. I will stay here again for another girls weekend trip!

Chose this hotel due to hurricane taking out our favorite condo, they rented a room that was not completely finished out, room never cooled off even turning down to 60. Walls too thin, heard neighbors TV and snoring all three nights we were there.

When you consider the damage to the town from Harvey, it is impressive that this hotel is up and running and able to provide refurbished rooms and breakfast in a temporary area. Overall was as expected. We would prefer real plates and cutlery for our breakfast but realise that is increasingly the norm in the USA.

Open for business when many places are still not after Hurricane Harvey. Bottom floor rooms still being worked on. Upstairs room was good. Saw a big pallet of mini-refrigerators being delivered so they are getting there. Heated pool was open. Breakfast still good.

My trip to Texas included two days in Port Aransas, looking for whooping cranes. I chose to stay at the Best Western based on prior good experiences with the brand. I was pleased to find this property was open and continuing to recover while providing a comfortable and clean place for guests to stay. The lobby is currently undergoing renovations but check in was handled easily in a temporary office that was easy to find. My room looked new, was clean and comfortable, with TV, refrigerator, small freezer, coffee maker, microwave and free wifi. Breakfast was available, the usual morning fare. I would stay here again if in the area. Good restaurants nearby.

One of the few hotels open on the island. Clean, new rooms. Still loud unit air conditioners. Sheets new. Hot water did not stop! All furniture new. Pool clean and cool temperature. One room is used for breakfast . Coffee maker new... icebox too. Breakfast very good. Clean, with attendant present. Newspaper on tables. Fresh fruit, eggs, tacos, waffles, bagels. Etc. the attendant was very attentive and the place was clean. Coffee good.

Best Western Port Aransas is recovering from hurricane Harvey and is open for business. The hotel has completed major repairs. A few cosmetic details are being addressed; the lobby is still under renovation, watch for signs pointing the way to the temporary front desk. Our room was in tip top shape; comfortable and fresh. The heated 90 degree outdoor pool is a nice benefit on still slightly chilly February days. The complimentary breakfast is outstanding, Cathy does a great job keeping the buffet fresh. The staff is very pleasant and efficient, making a stay in this hotel a top notch experience. As for Port A, as of mid February, there is still lots of repair work going on. Most of the major storm damage has been cleared. Many restaurants and gas stations, important for travelers, are open. Shells, a nice restaurant we enjoy that is down the street from the Best Western, is open. And of course, the primary reason for travelers to head for Port Aransas in the first place, the Gulf of Mexico and its beaches, is definitely open.

Cant complain. Everything was in good shape. Bed was clean. Bathroom was clean. Very nice. modern. Will definitely start using them more often. Close to the beach as well !! Good places to eat and drink are also nearby.

We had booked a single night as we were on the island for business. We finished early in the day and called to ask about possibility of cancelling the reservation, when by all rights they could have held us to the full reservation charge. The manger not only let us cancel but also waived the cancellation fee! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Will get all my business and referrals!

This was a great hotel. We walked to the beach (it's a little bit of a walk) but we made it. It was very quiet and friendly. The pool is average size for a hotel but could have been a little bigger for the size of hotel it is. But, we enjoyed it.

Best Western provides all the comforts and up to date style in lodging. They are working hard to recover from the hurricane. Delicious breakfast .. friendly, helpful staff. Walk to the beach. Highly recommend.

Port A. is slowly returning to normal and this was a comfortable place to stay over Christmas. Our room was freshly remodeled since the hurricane. It looked and smelled clean. The buffet breakfast was the best I've seen in a hotel in this price range.

Friends/birthday/girl's weekend outting...was nervous about staying in the area due to the devastating Hurricane Harvey, but was pleasantly surprised. Very clean & comfortable. Would consider staying here again.

We had a great experience here. Considering the hurricane came through here 3 months ago, they have almost completely recovered. The breakfast was an exceptional treat: eggs, sausage, waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, etc. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We will return here in the future!

Friendly, accommodating staff. Walking distance from the beach. Easy to get to other parts of the city. The city is still recovering from Hurricane Harvey, but the hotel is being redone and the rooms are great.

We just had a wonderful stay at the Best Western in Port Aransas. The hotel was in great shape after the hurricane and all of the staff was so friendly! The breakfast was really nice and well stocked with many choices. We look forward to another stay here in the future.

The hotel is one of three that is open after the hurricane. They have done an amazing job of getting the hotel in shape for guests. Is it back to normal? No, the office is in a little side room, the breakfast room is accessed through another side door, the pool is still be repaired. But none of this interfered with our visit. The rooms are all newly repaired and lacking for nothing. The breakfast is great, with all of the usual choices. The wifi worked well at all times. Best of all, every employee is friendly, helpful, and so upbeat in spite of all they are dealing with.

Even tho it's only been 6 weeks since Hurricane Harvey hit Port Aransas & Texas Coast. The GM, Tammie and all her employees are doing the best to fix the damage and are open for business for all the customers to come visit and stay at Best Western. It is sad to see the damage to the town and the BW, but everyone is positive and looking ahead to Port A. getting back on it's feet.

I stayed at the Port Aransas Best Western this past weekend and was throughly satisifed. Yes it's being renovated after 2-3 feet of water came into the first floor rooms, but they are working hard to get everything fixed. Everything worked, and the employees were all super nice. The bed was very comfortable, and I was more than happy with the entire experience.

Due to hurricane damage this hotel is under construction. I thought that when they rented me a room it would be one that was completely repaired. However, the first floor room that I was sent to had no baseboards, was not completely painted and had three large holes in the bathroom wall. The manager did offer to give me my money back or move me to the second floor. It was after dark and not a good time for two women to be looking around for another hotel. I didn't trust that the second floor room would be any better that the first floor room. If you want a nice room for a special vacation, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

This was my first but not last stay with BW in PA. I will remain a loyal client. The place even after Harvey has cleaned up well. The rooms are very nice and the entire downstairs rooms will be brand new once finished. The staff is great and most accommodating. If you have been down here since Harvey you will understand it is not easy but getting better every day.

We just stayed in Port Aransas. It was awesome to see that the Best Western was open. They were very very nice. We stayed in room 258 and it was one of the nicest rooms we have ever been in. The staff was amazing. We've never stayed at this best Western but we will go back. Thank y'all for a wonderful stay. The place looks great.

We stay here for the crane festival and every time we come down to bird. We hope all the people are ok and we will be back when things are up and going. We have not seen any photos of the area but we are heart sick and are praying for you all.

This was the second year in a row we stayed here and just like last year our stay couldn't have been nicer. The hotel was very nice and in a good location close to the beach. The employees were friendly and helpful. My wife and I will definitely come back here again and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

What a delightful two-night stay we had. I write this as Hurricane Harvey is about to descend upon Port Aransas…extremely hard for us to imagine what this sweet community is facing. We waited until after 4pm to check into our rooms. We kept busy having a late lunch at the pizza place across the street (will pass on that next time) and visiting some of the souvenir shops. The rooms are largely comfortable with the king and a little cramped with the two queens…still quite doable. We liked that the floors are tile and even though we left our sandy shoes outside the door, sand still tracks in. We appreciated having a second clean pair to wear once in the room such as slippers or extra flip-flops. The staff was superb – could not ask for more attentive or nicer folk. The breakfast was well presented, plentiful, and good. Loved the Texas waffles! I think they are the best I've had. When possible, we would return. This was our first visit to Port A and we'd enjoy returning.

Clean room, friendly service, good food at breakfast, clean pool and relax and location too, stuff and Specially Tammy is awesome ! We were very happy with this hotel and recommend this hotel to every one .

We met our kids here they have a 5th wheel they stayed at a beautiful Resort. We had a great breakfast to start our day at Best Western Port Arkansas then we went to the beach to play. We came to BW to rest and went back out for food and fun for 2 days. It was all great hope to do it again and again.

Great location. It was a very nice place to stay but a little overpriced for a hotel. Hotel staff were great and did a great job keeping the place clean. Breakfast was good but the same thing everyday gets a little boring.

I loved everything about this hotel. From the amazing guest service, to the cleanliness, to the modern apperance and comfort of the room. Best western port A made my trip 100% better! This hotel is better than anything you can rent on mustang island (munis the beach view). And Its about an 8 min walk (1-2 min drive) to the beach.

We went for a friends trip and had the best time. This is simple the most friendly people who work there. They are will to help in anyway they can. Giving great insight into the island and the best places to see, eat and drink. The staff was so friendly they let us have the conference room to watch the Dallas cowboys pre-season game. We were able to bring in snaks and Adult beverages. It was simply Awesome. They gave us info on sone great places to eat. I will stay there from now on. The rooms were amazing. They were newly remodeled and very clean, tge A/C was COLD on the Hot summer days. It is located right in the thick of everything abd very close to the beach. Breakfast was spot on and very tasty. If you are looking for a place that in the midfle of everything and a full breakfast please come. Tammie and the staff are ready to please.

Staff friendly and helpful--they make you feel like family. They keep everything clean which is a challenge at a beach. Breakfast is good and plentiful. Whenever we asked for extras like towels or a crib, we received it right away.

This was our first time staying here and my family and I were very pleased. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, just overall nice. The breakfast was really good, a variety of selections for every taste. I will DEFINITELY be staying here from now on on family trips.

This is a great place to stay for a relaxing trip to Port Aransas. From the the moment you check in til the time you check out you are on vacation! The room was clean and nicely decorated. The beds were extra comfy. The free breakfast was excellent with your choice from waffles to toast and all the trimmings. And the scrambled eggs there were the best we've had at any hotel!! The staff were all courteous and friendly too! That's a big plus these days!!

Rooms were nice. Housekeeping, breakfast and check in staff were great. Close to restaurants and stores and just a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed our stay and all slept comfortably in the oversized room.

Close to good restaurants, the beach, the bird sanctuary, and the Port-A Park with miles of trails and the 9-hole disc golf course. Helpful staff, good internet access, and lots of TV channels. I recommend this hotel (but will not go back to Mac Daddy's; worst burger I've ever had).

I haven't stayed at a Best Western in several years..... I know the brand has been undergoing some renovations. I was very surprised at this location and it's accommodations. All for the rooms in my reservation or clean freshly remodeled and the air conditioner was very cold beds were great and the staff was awesome. We are in town traveling for business and typically stay at a different Hotel here in town but will certainly be back to the Best Western.

Newly renovated, great selection of breakfast and great location to everything you need in Port Aransas!! We loved it! 5 walking blocks from the beach, across the street is Pizza Buffet, and 4 walking blocks from the main strip of shopping and restaurants.

We spent one night here but wish we had time to spend another night. The breakfast was one of the better BW offerings. We thought the price per night was a bit high but it seemed to be the norm for this time of year in Port Aransas. The room was clean and appointed well....lots of outlets for your electronics. :-) Another good point was that it was easy walking distance to the beach...maybe 3.5 blocks. We would stay here again.

I recommend this hotel to everyone because it looks new, staff helpful, maid service is outstanding, breakfast was good & fresh every morning. The hotel is 3 blocks to the beach& across the street from pizza parlor. We rented a golf cart which was across the street also. This hotel was exactly what we were looking for.

Super hotel close to the beach and Old Town Port Aransas. Walking distance to shopping, grocery, restaurants and beach!!!! Wonderful beds with fluffy pillows and great shower!!!! Have fun in Port Aransas!
