    « Disappointing »

Arrived Saturday Nov 19. First impressions in Lobby were good. Once in our room, things looked OK. My wife went into the washroom to find the toilet plugged. A call to the front desk had someone arrived within minutes. While waiting my wife noticed the bathroom counter had adirt in the corners and there was what appeared to be an elastic hairband rolled up on the corner. There were also hairs in the shower. We complained to the man who fixed the toilet and he said he would have housekeeping come right away. We went to dinner and after we returned no one had come. By now it was late so we just went to bed. At checkout we asked for a manager and were tld none was on duty. They took our complaint and email address. They said a manager would be in touch. 3 days later I get the following email: "Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Best Western Plus Savannah Airport Inn & Suites while visiting Pooler. We hope that you enjoyed your stay. If you would like to stay with us again when you are in town, please do not hesitate to contact us at 912-330-0330 so that we may assist you. We would greatly appreciate your review!! Click on link below It was signed General Manager --Tesh Patel As another reviewer said "Cleanliness is not a priority." I would expect this at a $34.95 Red Carpet, Not a $129.95 BW Plus

« Nice hotel, Large room »

Styaed at hotel on our way to Florida as wanted to spend some time in Savannah and then only a 4.5hr drive to Kissimmee. Hotel was easy to find just off the I95, about 10 miles to Old Savannah.Hotel seems fairly new or recently refurbished. Short walk to Cracker Barrell for dinner. Large room with king bed with full hot breakfast in the morning.

« "Overrated? Cleanliness is not a priority »

11/17/2016 - 11/20/2016 My stay a Best Western Plus Savannah Airport Inn & Suites was a very goo. My first night at the hotel I was confronted with dirty linen left on the bed with human fluids on it. The next day housekeeping left the sheets and dirty towel on the floor and the room untouched, also housekeeping went into the fridge and stole my drink that I put there. Its not worth the cost they charge for there rooms.

    4
    « Overall nice »

Near I95, nice room ,quiet ! Large room Hot tub reel hot! Stayed one night Although the building and furniture are up to date, cleanliness & maintenance are not prioritiesThe staff at the Best Western were very friendly and helpful.

« Need to work on their cleanliness »

Stayed one night here. The shuttle driver picked us up at the airport and was very nice. That was the best thing about our stay. Arrived after midnight and the lady checking us in was not friendly at all, acted like we were bothering her. She gave us our room on the second floor, we went up there and opened the door to find that someone else was already in there. Awkward. Went back down and told her--she acted like it was our fault. Mumbled a curt apology and gave us a new room. All the way at the back end of the building. The room smelled very musty. The curtains were a few inches too long such that they draped over the air conditioner and had black mold growing all over them. 5am the factory across the street started hammering and drilling--it sounded like they were building equipment in our room! The breakfast area in the morning was so dirty my feet were sticking to the floor as I walked around--needless to say we decided to skip eating there. I was so glad we were only there one night. Gross. Stay away.

« Pretty but not Clean »

Although the building and furniture are up to date, cleanliness & maintenance are not priorities. At the first entrance that we were advised to use, we were greeted by a dead roach. The entrance didn't work because we didn't "pull the handle real hard" according to the front desk clerk (who seemed most interested in sitting in the lobby and watching tv). As we walked to our room on the first floor, the first thing that I noticed was the dirty carpet. It appeared that it had not been vacuumed in days. Our room was spacious and attractive. However, the bathroom floors were not cleaned well. There was dust and light debris in corners and along the edges. The toilet was not secured to the floor and rocked when you sat on it. The tub faucet was also not secured to the wall and the tub drain clogged within a minute of showering. The living & sleeping areas were okay but I wasn't quite comfortable in the room given the initial impressions.

    « Two night stay »

The staff at the Best Western were very friendly and helpful. We were attending the Marine graduation at Parris Island and stayed here because of the convenience of interstate travel. When we arrived the first night, our room was not available and we were given an upgrade to a business suite. After attending the family day activities on base, our room key failed to open the door to our room. I was told that the room key was sensitive to magnetic fields, which happened when I went through the security metal detector at the Marine base. Would have been nice to know that before hand, so we could have left the key card in the car. We would go back to this location because the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the friendly staff.

    « Wedding in Pooler »

Visited hotel because it was close to a wedding we were attending. The staff was friendly, helpful and energetic. Large room, comfy bedding and close to I-95 made the hotel a great selection for it's convenience. The next exit down has a Tanger Outlet, TJ Maxx, and numerous other stores. Various other stores are in process of being added to this exit.

    « Emergency »

We stayed here Oct. 11 on our way back returning to Hilton Head after the hurricane. Was a perfect accommodation for us in that it was clean, economical & friendly. Breakfast was good. Surrounding area offered several good restaurants & shopping area. Would definitely return if needed.

    3
    « Quick Getaway »

The property could use some work but over all it wasn't bad. Found some blood stains on our sheets but it was quickly replaced. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We walked in on them dealing with some difficult clients and it did not change their attitude towards us. The sauna didn't work and way to much chlorine in the pool, we had to open the doors to let the room air out. It's s good distance to downtown.

    « An average experience »

The hotel staff were very friendly. The room was clean. There were 2 double beds (a little small for 2 adults) and a sofa. The sofa folded out to make a small bed big enough for 1 adult or 2 children. It didn't look too comfortable, but that is true of every sofabed that I have seen. The room was satisfactory but I found the bed a little uncomfortable considering the price I paid for the room. There was a breakfast including sausage, eggs, biscuits (not very good), gravy, oatmeal, make your own waffles, cereal, fruit, and other items. I was disappointed by the biscuits which you had to heat in the microwave. However, I enjoyed the sausages, and the eggs were fine. Overall, I considered the hotel average in quality considering the price.

    2
    « Not a Great Choice »

While inviting on the exterior, the property needs some interior love. The hall carpets are very dirty. My room had a dirty shower curtain and it was obvious it hadn't been cleaned around the base of the toilet or behind the bathroom door. The area in and around the bed smelled like urine, although I couldn't pinpoint exactly where it was coming from. The internet worked only sporadically. They did provide early morning (4 am) shuttle service - driver very polite.

    « Nice hotel...only 1 issue I had. »

I must say I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel until the morning of check out my husband noticed something crawling on our blacket and it was a baby roach. I travel alot so I know what bugs look like. All was well until that. And I still don't want to give a totally bad rating because it was still a pretty decent hotel. They just need to exterminate.

    4
    « Hwy. Rest Stop »

Picked this hotel only as it was halfway along our route, and Best Western the only choice to pay with AirMiles points. Turned out to be clean, well equipped and reasonable. The pool was down for maintenance, not great but they have to me maintained now and then. Breakfast was mediocre, typical chain hwy. hotel food. Hallways smelled like they ad just been sprayed but that might have had something to do with Hurricane Matthew just a week before. WiFi was very spotty in our room at the far end of the hotel. But the high point for me turned out to be the surprise I got fining the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum immediately next door. A most enjoyable morning. Also try Terra Mia Italian Restaurant just outside the gas of the hotel. Excellent.

    3
    « Hurricane Matthew Escape »

We stayed here because we were evacuated from our home on HHI, SC because of Hurricane Matthew. Shelby, Eddie and Ashley employees there treated us and the other guests like friends. Their warmth and concern made a dreary situation seem not so bad.

    3
« Excellent Location, friendly Staff »

We stayed here right after Hurricane Matthew recovery. Some of the utility crews were still staying at the hotel. That is to say it had been a crazy time for everyone living and working here! That everyone of the staff from front desk to housekeeping was friendly and pleasant said a lot about them!

    1
« Do not stay here »

The hotel was filthy. Our room smelled very musty and the bathroom was awful. There was mold growing on the walls of the bathroom and it smelled very strongly of urine. The place reeked of every variety of Febreeze- clearly they are trying to mask the smell. Also we picked that particular place since if advertised an indoor pool. When we got there the pool room was closed for repairs. Will never stay there again.

    2
    « Unhealthy Air Quality »

The air quality in our room was unhealthy. The room smelled damp and of mildew. Both my roommate and I awoke extremely congested. The room was large and comfortable but the smell made the stay most unpleasant.

    3
    « Great location »

Convenient location between historic Savannah, and the outlets in Pooler. We had originally thought we'd stay in historic Savannah, but this was only 10 min away, and was so much less expensive...(therefore extra $ for shopping:). Have no idea how the breakfast was...we never made it to the lobby in time to eat there. Staff was friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed our stay. Hardly any of the hotels in the downtown area offer free parking, so you would still have that expense whether you stayed in town or drove in.

    5
    « A Great Place »

This was my third stay here this year. The service keeps getting better and better. Everything you could want in a Savannah area hotel. Lots of food options in area. Just off the highway to historic district.

« Good airport hotel, quiet and comfortable »

Room was very clean, bed exceptional. Nice wide screen TV and excellent choice of channels. Check in was efficient and friendly. Next door to the Air Force museum was an added treat. Easy access to airport up I-95 (5 MINUTES). A Cracker Barrel restaurant next door made it perfect.

    « Bed bugs issues »

My family & I stayed at this hotel 10/1 to 10/3 but on our last day at 1:30am, I woke up to use the restroom, came back to find a bed bug crawling on the bed which my daughter was in the bed. I killed it & got my kids & grandson up. I went to tell the night representative & he offered me a new room but all I wanted to do was leave. I had to wake my mother up which is 68 yrs old, which stayed in the room next to my room. I work for Orkin so I know what bedbugs look like, as you know they're hitchhikers so if we take these bedbugs home with us, that's 3 different households that will need to be treated which is VERY expensive. We packed all my family members up at 1am to drive 4 hours back home which we was planning to go visit more places before we left & wasn't able to. I spoke with the front desk manager Shelby Beauchamp which wanted to give me a $34 discount for only my room which was unacceptable. I asked for the general manager Kevin Smith to call me back which supposed to be in at 12pm & it's 4:40pm & still waiting for a call. I've called 10 times but no one answered the phone at the front desk. GO FIGURE! I will pursue this matter until I get this issue resolved.

« BW by Savannah airport »

Eight miles from the airport but they have a free shuttle service. Very quiet. Free full breakfast. Friendly staff, especially Mike, the night manager. Reasonably priced. Perfect for our travel needs.

    4
« Just what we wanted »

We stayed here for one night when passing through the area. The room was nice, 2 double beds and a fold out couch. My only complaint about the room were the bathroom fixtures, my kids had a hard time turning the shower on because the handle was stripped out. Breakfast was pretty standard. Frozen pastries thawed out, waffles, gravy (which was actually pretty good if you ate it on toast instead of the thawed out biscuits). What really set it apart and gave it a very good was that the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

    4
« Good hotel for a reasonable price »

We (2 couples) are staying at Best Western Plus Savannah Airport Inn & Suites in Savannah / Pooler. The rooms and beds are very comfortable and clean, the staff is helpful and friendly and the breakfast is ok. The hotel is significantly cheaper than the hotels in downtown Savannah (Historic District). From our hotel it is only a 20 minutes drive to downtown Savannah. Sufficient parking. The hotel has an indoor pool and a spa.

    1
« This place is awful »

Poor quality, noisy, the breakfast was way below what is expected from a Best Western Plus hotel. The front desk people were not very helpful bordering on rude. Don't believe the amenities shown on the flyer. There never was evening refreshments with complimentary beer & wine and the hot breakfast was pitiful. Don't expect to get a Grab & Go bag - you won't get one. The hot tub was green when we got there and the indoor pool was more like a sauna. You will never have enough towels and wash cloths if there is more than one person in the room.

    5
    « Excellent »

Thiscwas a great place to stay. It was clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was great. Overall it was great value for money, convenient and great place to stay. My husband loved the Museum which was right next door.

    « Nightmare Hotel Experience »

Our stay started in a good manner and quickly changed. The front desk attendant disappeared for a bit and returned smelling of marijuana. I am not sure if it was for medical reasons or not but it caught us off guard. The rest of the night the lobby had an alcoholic party downstairs and yes you guessed it, the attendant was partaking. We never felt comfortable and did not sleep well as we did not know what would happen to us. Never again and I recommend you stay elsewhere.

    « Not a clean Hotel »

Check in Fri 9/16. I was greeted by Eddie @ guest services who was a breath of fresh air when it comes to customer service and very accommodating. The first room the toliet wasn't that clean. Housekeeping came up to clean the toilet and so I looked in the refrigerator and food was still in it. Omg. They didn't clean the room. Dust on all the table furniture. The second room wasn't all that clean either then the third room was a lot better. The whole time the housekeeper still had his same gloves on that he use to clean the toliet the whole time he was showing each room. I asked him did you change your gloves he responded no because that don't have many. Omg then he changed his gloves. The next morning we checked out early it was bugs in our room. Sorry for long review. However; I would come back to see Eddie. Eddie has the best customer service and exuberant personality.

« Great place to stay while in Savannah area »

Clean, comfortable and pleasant staff. Good breakfast, work out room with a sauna and reliable shuttle service to airport. Close to nearby destinations from interstate 95. Would stay here again if i was visiting the area.

    « Great Stay »

This is the second time I have stay at the Best Western Plus Savannah Airport. The service is still great and the rooms are still clean. Loved the swimming pool did not close until 11 p.m., which made a great way to end the day of shopping and exploring Savannah. Location was accessible to interstate 16 with Tango Outlet one exit away.

    « Unprofessional Customer Service »

We won't stay here again nor will we ever recommend this hotel. We recently stayed overnight in a handicap accessible room with 2 Queen beds and a roll in shower, as requested. Before leaving, we arranged for our return stay five days later. We asked if there was a similar room that also had a sofa bed and requested that for our return visit. When we checked in, we were told that our request was not available. The accessible rooms with a roll in shower did not also have a sofa bed. Although this seemed to be due to a simple miscommunication, the woman at the front desk was more interested in deflecting responsibility from the hotel and assigning blame to us than in trying to accommodate. We were told that no one ever spoke to us about the special request. Very unprofessional! A friendlier, nicer person with better customer service skills would have handled the situation properly and avoided this bad review. We paid an additional charge for a folding bed, that at first she said she would waive, and stayed overnight. But we left with a very bad impression, will never recommend this hotel and will stay somewhere else next time!

« Not really a good place to try. »

We weren't happy about this place. When just get in the lobby you will be amazed by the amount of air freshner thy use to get over their bad smell old facility. The front desk weren't friendly....I just regret it...we stayed at a Marriott location nearby and for the same price....it's hard to compare....will never comeback again. I don't understand how they got 4 stars on tip advisor???

    3
    « Decent »

Arrived very late via the airport shuttle. Disheartening that the front desk staff knew nothing about how and where to grab the shuttle, and basically never visited the airport? Yet this is an airport hotel? Lobby was "soaked" in air freshener, almost chocking how much air freshener was used. Sleeping was humid, tough to keep room very cool. Generally decent cleanliness in the room. Miscellaneous hairs were found in the bathroom that were not mine.

    2
« Is it legal to charge more for a handicap room? »

Having driven for 8 hours by myself with an aching back, I requested a handicap accessible room with a walk-in shower so that I didn't have to step over the side of the bathtub to take a shower. I was told by the front desk clerk that my reservation guaranteed a king suite, and I would need to pay an additional $15 for a handicap accessible room. If this is legal, it shouldn't be. Regardless, it made me angry. I felt as if this was a rip-off and declined the "offer." I would never stay here again. The king suite room I was given is nice, but this is a shameful policy. Why should a person who wants a walk-in shower for a bad back have to pay more for that room?

    1
    « Unclean! Unkept! »

My family stayed on 9/2. The price was good and the rating was 3 1/2 stars. Seems OK, right. WRONG!!! We were barely greeted by the guy at the front desk as he was attending to three police officers whom he had apparently called for some disturbance. The condition of the room was terrible. When I pulled out the sleeper sofa, there was years if dirt, dust, and trash piled underneath. When I lifted the bed mattresses to check for bedbugs, the bedskirts were filthy. However, the bathroom was the real shocker. Unfinished drywall patching behind the toilet, a suspicious cutout in the drop ceiling tile above the toilet/shower, a mildewy shower curtain, a sink faucet that almost fell off in my hand, rusty trim around the shower, and last but not least, ROACHES!! This is my first hotel review. I travel for work and stay in hotels/motels regularly. I accept that a $60/night room will not be a pleasure to stay in. This room costs $135. NOT ACCEPTABLE!! I would have taken photos, but I just wanted to get my family out of there as quickly as possible.

« Best Western Savannah, late August 2016 »

This hotel is not the standard of Best Westerns I've stayed at multiple times before. The outside of the hotel is old and looks old. Hotel is set back off the main roadway, checkin in was a "pay my room cost and get lost" affair. Ice machines on all floors (3) were broken; Internet connection wouldn't remain 'on'. The 3d floor hallway walk looked like you had an unequal unsteady walk to the space capsule or onto a boat, the floor was uneven, looked like an after thought. This hotel looks like it needs to be demolished and built new. Very disappointed, this BW didn't make the grade, it's not what I expected.

    2
    « Business Trip »

Parking spaces are very narrow, difficult to get into car and not ding other cars. Walls and ceilings are thin; can hear footsteps above and talking thru walls. Floor below a/c unit is spongy and needs repair. Black mold in bathroom corner above shower. Rates are very unreasonable, especially being a Platinum rewards member; $115/night is twice as much as the value of the room. This location is definitely on my do-not-return list !!

    3
    « Passing thru... »

Driving from NJ to Disney, we stopped in Georgia to spend the night. The lobby I'd gorgeous. The front desk attendant was very nice: personable and helpful. The third floor halls smell of old nicotine and at first I thought the room smelled fine. But the longer I sit here, the more I smell the hall. The wifi isn't great. I can't skype my husband.... Something I do every night as we live in different states. The pool is old and ugly but my kids don't mind. The room is actually very nice. But the smell is hard to ignore.

    « Summer vacation »

This hotel is disgusting !! The fountain in the lobby had mold flowing inside he edges the corridors are filthy and the room I got yes it was spacious but the bathroom shower wall was falling apart ! The smell of urine and mild was unacceptable. The air conditioner leaked and the carpet was wet the curtains were dirty and the window edge was peeling off . They had no available batteries for the tv remote and the door to the refrigerator was not closing properly. The cleaning staff unfriendly and rude and the night front desk attendant unable to help. This is the first time that a have a negative experience with a best western . We were on our family vacation and had just stayed in 5 other best westerns within a two week period and had no issues . WhenI spoke to the manager about it in the morning he was nice and helpful. Thank you Keith!

« Great Room and Beautiful Lobby »

When you first walk into the lobby you are hit by cool, fresh air which is very refreshing after being in the 102 degree Savannah heat. Lobby is beautiful and staff was very friendly. Accidentally booked a handicapped room as it was not clear on the website, so room was larger than anticipated. Our room had plenty of space, sleeping 3 people in 2 Queen beds. TV, microwave, coffee maker, the works. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was spotless. Lots to choose from for breakfast - eggs, sausage, hash browns, oatmeal, make-your-own waffles, yogurt, etc. Very satisfied with this hotel and will definitely return.

    « No complaints »

Great little motel in Pooler. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was good and WiFi worked perfectly. What made it even better was that we were in Pooler to visit the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum and to get there all one need do is walk ou the back door of the motel, cross a lawn and you're there! It's just steps away from the motel!! While in Pooler be sure to stop at Spanky's for food. It was recommended by the motel front clerk and he was spt on with that suggestion.

    « Grand »

for weeks all my grand=daughter could talk about was she wanted to go to Yew nork and stay at the Best Western. The hotel was really great. very courteous staff. Great location. Easy off the interstate and right next to the Mighty-Eight Museum.

« Good Hotel With Great Location To 8th Air Force Museum »

We stopped here because you could go out a side door and be right at the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum which was our destination. Clean room and friendly staff and a good, full breakfast should be reasons top consider this hotel. Biggest problem - someone got a bad deal buying those mal-functioning ice machines.

« Great place to stay when travelling. »

Room/Suite was spacious and clean and hotel was quiet. Location was perfect for travelling on I-95. Eddie at the desk was friendly and helpful. Only glitch was that the WiFi was weak and could not handle the volume of guest s using the system. We had good stay at this hotel. Got up too late to evaluate Continental Breakfast which ran from 6-9AM.

    5
    « Great place »

Really enjoyed the stay at this hotel. The customer service was awesome, the location was so great. The bed was comfortable and the room was really nice. I would recommend staying here. The location is like 10-20 minutes away from everything.

    4
    « Nice hotel »

Clean room , friendly staff, good location near 95 and lots of restaurants. The pool area had strong chlorine smell which was bothering our eyes and looks like the area around pool is flaking and needs restain or repair. The shower rod/curtain in our room was poor design - we all had trouble keeping it closed.

    5
    « Never Had a Better Deal »

Girlfriend and I were travelling to Disney. We stopped here for the night because she found a deal on priceline for $96. Hotel room had the following: -Spacious Room: there was a lot of room for us including closets, refrigerator, microwave, and a couch. -Good breakfast: not amazing but definitely better than most other hotel breakfasts. -okay wifi: wifi is just average (we were on the 3rd floor) Staff were courteous, the room was clean, and overall this was a steal for only $96.

    2
« Stopped for the night »

Room dirty the fire alarm wasn't attached to the wall the ice bucket still had water in it from melted ice from previous guest pool area unkept just to name a few dark and dingy not worth the 149 a night very disappointed never stay here again. Apparently I need 200 characters to finish this review in order to submit it so now I'm going to just take up space....

« 2 nd trip just as i remembered it. »

Stayed there last year and again this year. Rooms are clean and a good size. Elevator was small and I didn't get to go to the pool, but overall I would recommend. Didn't find the staff any more friendly this time but not wrenched.

    « Great room , great value »

We used Priceline Express and we knew it would be either Best Western Plus or La Quinta (2.5 stars, both). We got the Best Western and could not be happier. It is a huge room, a suite really with couch, refrigerator etc. Everything was clean. The receptionist who checked us in could not have been nicer. My compliments to the management and staff. A+++.

« Great place to stay! »

We were upgraded to a suite which was very comfortable after an awful stay at another hotel. The staff was friendly, nice snack at night and a wonderful breakfas in the morningt. The beds were very comfortable, nice fluffy towels. Will be back and definitely plan to stay here.

let me begin by saying the Best Western Richmond Hills ( Savannah area) is usually where we stay, no problems but we stayed on Friday night and I am very disappointed in this Best Western plus, it was beautiful, but the hallway had trash and paper in it needed to be vaccummed, the room was big but it had raman noodles on the wall behind the bed and the side of the bed skirt had something dripping off it, I was afraid to see what, I went to desk as soon as I checked in and was told it would be cleaned, returned 2 hrs later and noodles gone but bed skirt had been wiped all spots quickly returned, worried all night about cleanliness of our room VERY DISAPPOINTED, didn't ask for any thing else from staff

Very nice room, two queen sized beds and pullout couch in little "living area"." Room was clean and tastefully decorated, equipped with microwave and refrigerator as well. Complimentary self serve full breakfast was great. Small but comfortable indoor pool and hot tub. Friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again.

    « Good choice »

Our stay was pleasant. We stopped here on our way back from FL. The accommodations were clean and comfortable for a one night stay. I chose this location because they had a suite available with 2 queens a sofa and a microfridge. The breakfast was ok. I would stay here again as the hotel was acceptable, clean and has a good location right off the interstate.

    « Beautiful Hotel »

I often stay at Best Western, because I know I can expect a quality room that is clean, comfortable, and usually includes breakfast. This Best Western hotel far exceeded my expectations. One look at the beautiful room, and I felt like I was staying in a far more expensive hotel. The fitness center, pool, and hot tub, all added to that impression.

« Overnight Stay While Driving FL to VA »

Clean and quiet, with a very friendly staff and a better breakfast than typical. Finding a hotel along I-95 is like throwing darts for me: try to get somewhere near the center but not out for the very best score. And this Best Western worked. I've certainly stayed in nicer properties but the room worked well -- comfortable bed, quiet. Lobby shows some new investments -- nice computer work stations. WIFI was fine. Walked in without a reservation and the asking price started a bit high, but since I belong to BW program, dropped to OK value.

« Great location to visit Mighty Eighth Museum & I95. »

Convenient access to I95 corridor. Large room, updated bathroom, comfortable bed. Breakfast was good with several choices of hot or cold foods. We wanted to visit the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum and they are located right next to it! Staff were friendly and professional.

« Nice breakfast, helpful staff »

Rooms have comfortable beds, a pull out couch,a desk with ergonomic chair, microwave and larger than average mini fridge. Very nice large flat screen TV. The only problem encountered was that the fridge in our room seemed to be leaking water onto the rug and left a sour odor. I reported it in the am upon checkout-the staff were quite apologetic and said they would have moved us if they had known. The breakfast area was kept very clean, scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, waffles, hot and cold cereals, fruit, danishes, biscuits and sausage gravy etc.

    « Great »

We stayed for one night on our way to FL. Both ladies that worked the front desk while we were there were SUPER nice and friendly. The room was great, and the sleeper sofa was great as well. Breakfast was good but a little crowded. It would be less crowded if the waffle maker and toaster was in a separate area, they seem to hold up the line. They offered eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels, toast, cereal, juices etc. The room was big and very clean, the air worked great. Will stay here again if we are in in town. Wonderful experience.

    « Wonderful Stay »

Lovely, clean, comfortable facility. Desk personal very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Had king suite. Huge!. Hot breakfast was fairly good. Small pool. Felt safe. Good for family. Had room 313, Dont know if it was just our room, but the shower pressure was a big disappointment. Bathroom was clean and house keeping was great.

    « Away from home »

I really like Best Western no matter what the location but this hotel has it all. Located in Pooler Ga near interstate 95 and the airport. It's well equipped with an exercise room, business center and a pool. My room was cool, comfortable and clean. I have stayed at this hotel before and I have had a great stay each time.

« Good price fine hotel »

We booked through Expedia and left a day early. The hotel had no problem refunding our extra day even though it was a Friday night reservation. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and they did a nice job cleaning our room between days. Pool was small, we didn't swim. Breakfast was good. We have no complaints. We would stay here again.

    « Nice stay »

This hotel was very nice. The bed was comfortable and we even had a little sofa in our room. The only complaint we had was that the entire bottom floor, including the lobby and breakfast area, smell very strongly of chlorine from the pool which is closely located to the front of the hotel.

    « Pleased ! »

This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel and I once again enjoyed my 7 night stay ! Everything from the hotel, to my room , to breakfast and beyond met my standards ! I always feel safe staying here and the hotel staff are very friendly and housekeeping is also very nice and helpful ! Breakfast was yummy and had lots of choices . The room was very inviting and cozy and I love how comfortable the bed is and the modern décor in the room ! Everything worked great , and I can't complain ! I will be staying at this hotel again soon !

    « Fourth Stay »

The rooms did not smell fresh, especially the restrooms. Don't think it was from the lack of effort, just think its time replace some tile in the restrooms. Also, the breakfast bar closes to early, this was not a problem for me and my family but several people showed up after 9:20 to find all the food removed and nothing available but coffee, juice, water. The attitude of the Kitchen Staff was not overly friendly, but you can understand her problem, she was asked to close at 9:00 it stayed open to 9:20, this should not close until 10 am on weekend and holiday's. I must say the Front desk clerks were very friendly and helpful.

    « Not very accomodating.... »

We were in Savannah with our girl scouts. They had been saving for this trip for 2 years and were very excited about going. However, upon check in our trip took a turn for the worse. One of the rooms had visible mold on the ceiling as well as a horrible odor. She requested another room and was told we would need to pay for it in addition to the mold room. We decided to go ahead and get another room. The room that they initially gave us was not made up and a total mess! It smelled like a smoky bar! They finally gave us a room that was acceptable. On top of all of this, the pool was closed. This was really disappointing to our scouts who had just spent 12 hours driving. We changed hotels. This could have been handled so much better. You really need to train your staff better. The lady who was working the desk was surly at best. I'm sorry Best Western - you have lost my business.

« Fire waiting to happen. »

As soon as we arrived the fire alarm was going off and firemen were checking the rooms. It was said that a curling iron was the reason for the alarm and that everything was OK. We booked two rooms. My three adult daughters were in one room and my husband and I were in the other. Both rooms had very loose electrical sockets. When I plugged in my laptop to a wall socket an electrical spark came flying out. I looked for another socket but it was loose, too, so I plugged into a socket that was built into a lamp. It was also loose, but it did not spark so I used it. There were also loose sockets in the room my daughters book so I assume this was just not a problem in my room but throughout the entire hotel.. One of my daughters plugged in her hair dryer in a wall socket and when she unplugged it the plug prongs were so hot she received a small burn. This is a serious problem that needs to be addressed immediately. My husband is a fire chief and wonders how a fire marshal ever passed this building. I do commend the staff. They were very friendly and courteous. Price was affordable.

    « Unacceptable »

Broken AC (wouldn't cool & leaking water on the floor)Unresponsive front desk (Wouldn't allow us to change rooms or offer other alternatives). Breakfast was ok in the morning. They needed more seating to eat. Need to do better with so many other choices in the area.

    « Girl Scout Trip »

We were given a room that had water damage and mold was growing. We asked to be moved and we were told they couldn't move us and that they don't have any issues with water damage and mold. They made us pay for a new room. When we went to the new room assigned to us, the room hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests and this was 8pm. Finally they were able to find a clean room for us. Also, the pool and hot tub were closed which was a big disappointment for our 10 girl scouts. Never ever stay in THIS Best Western! The staff was rude.

    « Nice comfy room »

The room was very nice and clean. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor was also very nice. We would recommend this hotel if you are in the Savannah area. Also, their prices were reasonable.

    « Disappointing »

Disappointed, not enough towels, we asked and got told to wait to the next morning. No sheets available for the sofa bed. The man restroom bij the pool was glogged and nasty. Staff was not very friendly. Mostly disappointing, the lady serving the breakfast was very friendly and helpfull, rest of the staff was border lone ruse or not interested to do their job right.

    « Not bad... »

This was my first ever stay at a Best Western. The overall visit was nice. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, breakfast was good, and the location was no more than 20 mins from Downtown Savannah. The negatives were the sauna and hot tub were not working properly which wasn't so much of a disappointment for an overnight stays. If we had stayed longer the this would've bothered me more. If you come back late after a day of sightseeing, be prepared to be frustrated with your parking situation. However Jazmyn who was working the front desk Sat. night assisted us with parking suggestions and reassurance that we would not be penalized for our parking decision on the property. She was also very helpful later on that night when someone fell ill. I was very grateful for her assistance. Breakfast had some nice options, however the staff was a little slow in refilling the eggs and sausage. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

    « Pros and Cons »

We specifically booked this hotel because there was a pool for the kids. We were pleased with the looks of the place online and were quite excited to arrive. Once we got there, the look and feel of the hotel met all expectations. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful and check-in was fast and easy. We had breakfast the next morning and there were many options both hot and cold. Two complaints though. The pool was closed for maintenence so our kids were quite disappointed. And our room smelled like a musty cooler which had been left closed with an inch of water in it for several weeks. There had obviously been a water leak somewhere and the place not properly dried out. After being in it for a while the smell faded to the background but if you left and came back into the room it hit you like a truck again.

« Best Western Plus Rocks! »

Great Staff, the general manager was friendly and fun. I enjoyed all the staff there. Nice and Clean rooms, decent breakfast. They make a big effort to ensure you are having a nice stay. My first time at a Best Western and we will be back!

    « Hotwire offer »

I used hotwire for a work conference and was EXTREMELY pleased with my stay at the Best Western. Staying in Savannah can be expensive especially with daily parking fees. Pooler is a awesome alternative with its close proximity to Savannah and Tybee Island. This Best Western was an excellent location. Very clean and quiet. I only wish they would offer non pork meat options for breakfast.

« In Savannah to attend a Memorial Service »

This is the second time we have stayed here - I feel it is an average motel and a good value for the money. Room was fine except the shower head badly needs replacing as it just throws out fine sprays in all directions. Very comfortable bed. My major complaint is the WiFi - the router must be undersized as our room (329) would, at best, barely get a signal and when it did it wouldn't hold. I had to go to lobby to get a decent signal.. We had the same problem when we stayed here last year. I made reservations through AAA and when I tried to get the Desk Clerk to enter my rewards number she said they could not do that - WOW! I guess they don't like regular Best Western visitors (we have over 21,000 points). They suggested I contact Best Western, but when you go to the web site there doesn't seem to be anyway to solve that problem. Live and Learn.

« Not wonderful...but could have been with some effort »

I was disappointed, I paid a little more than I usually do while staying in Savannah because my in-laws were coming for my son's graduation. Well it started off bad, my in-laws had to switch rooms 3 times...with NO help for the hotel staff, did I mention my mother-in-law is in her mid-80's !! After the third move they settled for a room with a shower that was coming off the wall because they didn't want to move again! The pool which is a must for me, so I can do my therapy, was GROSS!! It was in need of painting, as the lip of the pool was chipped and peeling all the way around. The furniture in the pool area was very old and the bottoms all rusted and the chairs actually didn't sit level because of the rusting bottoms. The floor had not been cleaned in who know how many days and there were old band aids, knots of hair, and various other trash on the floor, the pool open at 10AM and since I was there before 11AM I'm sure it had not been cleaned before being opened, and they had NO TOWELS. When I asked for towels they brought hand towels, REALLY !! The breakfast was good and the woman who handled that, especially during the weekend, was amazing. The cleaning staff was nice, but did only what you asked for, if you said you needed towels that was all you got. The bed wasn't made, the bathroom not cleaned and the trash not emptied. We actually ran out of toilet paper on the last day because they never replaced the back up roll we open and used, we stayed 5 nights! And getting towels was not easy, they were always out, and they only gave you one bath towel per person, and they were small bath towels. If you asked for more you had to go to the desk to fetch them and they were always short towels and waiting for them to come out of the dryer...EVERY DAY ???They need a new dryer or a new person doing their laundry!! I would have rated it somewhere between poor and average, but that was not an option. I will be staying elsewhere when I return in September and probably paying less a night than I paid to stay here.

    « Port in a storm »

After fighting through terrible rain on I-95 on Memorial Day, I was really in need of a break. I called Best Western at the last minute and reserved this room. It's right off the highway and easy to find. In front is a Cracker Barrel, so this weary traveler was able to get a good meal. My room was very nice, really clean, with coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave. The staff was very nice and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again!

    3
« ok but not wonderful »

I shopped on line for a "wonderful" hotel and this one was not. When you get cheap toilet tissue and only one trashcan for the suite, you know the hotel was not what it was advertised to be. Breakfast was mediocre - powdered scrambled eggs, typical cereal and toast. Nothing special. And the place just did not seem that clean. Popcorn spilled in the elevator at night was still there in the morning. Seemed short staffed. Not worth the money paid.

« A good place to stay next to a unique Museum »

This particular hotel is very conveniently located just off I95 highway on the rt.80 that goes directly to the downtown of Savannah. About 10 min, of easy drive brings the traveler into historic heart of this beautiful city when it turns into Bay Street. There are several access roads to the River Street with a number of convenient parking areas. These parking spots could be busy at times but there are many alternative parking garages nearby. One of the exits on the right hand side of the hotel (looking from the lobby) leads directly to the entrance of the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force. This amazing Museum is a result of devotion and determination of several Air Force Veterans committed to preserve the glory and valor of Great American Pilots and Airmen. It does not offer a large exposition of planes available in many other Aviation Museums. Actually, there is only one well restored and preserved B17 plane but the rest of collection is about very brave and patriotic people. The main impression of this Museum comes from its unique atmosphere. It is truly The Temple of US Air Force. The heart of every visitor must be open for learning our History and learning about People who made it happen.

    « Great hotel »

We were half way home from our vacation and needed a place to stay close to I-95. The reviews seemed good and we'vetypicallyhad good luck with Best Westerns. So I booked a room from the Jeep while we were about 5 minutes away. The staff was wonderful. The hotel also has a pool, hot tub, and sauna. While we were not able to utilize them, they looked very nice! Our room was fabulous. Had the King suite. The bed was very comfortable, and we had 6 pillows! Yes, 6! For once my husband and I didn't feel pillow deprived, lol. The bathroom was gorgeous. The room was really up to our high standards, and nicely updated. We didn't want to leave!

    « You Won't Believe This »

The desk clerk assigned us a room already occupied by another guest. Imagine everyone's surprise and embarrassment when we walked in on the other guest, who was in bed. That same desk clerk didn't even apologize when we returned downstairs to get another room. Nor did she offer us a discount for having inconvienenced and embarrassed us. When we finally got our own room, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The wifi didn't work reliably, however. The signal was weak, and it often threw me offline. The carpets looked worn. All in all, it was not a pleasant experience.

« Great location and rooms »

Great location in Pooler. Ideal for wanting to explore Georgia, reasonable distance to places like Tybee Island and Savannah. Also great tanger outlets and restaurants just minutes away. Great customer service. Only complaint is that we specifically chose this hotel because it had a hot tub in the pool area and it was way too hot to use. Couldn't even put feet in it. That is extremely unsafe. Otherwise great rooms and better than most laundry facilities. We were a little worried about noise from the airport but that was not a concern during the stay at all.

    « Hot tub. »

Upon check-in I asked the receptionist if there was a hot tub. Her reply was yes. So excited for a relaxing sit in the hot tub after traveling all day. To my dismay the hot tub was out of service. Back to the receptionist I go inquiring why she did not inform me of the problem. She told me with MUCH ATTITUDE that I did not ask if it was working ONLY if there was a hot tub.

    « Staff was wonderful »

Loved this place. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and went out of their way for our group. The only problem we had was with the shower head leaking and was too high for someone of my height. Otherwise we loved it here. The room was spotless. Lobby was very impressive. Highly recommend this place.

« Have stayed here several times always good! »

We have stayed here several times in the last 12 months. Every time we walk in it smells so fresh, Once we walked in and they were washing the entrance way. the staff is always nice and friendly. the breakfast buffet is always filled and good. The rooms are clean. It's very close to 75 and close to restaurants and the outlet mall. There is an outside seating area in back. I hope it doesn't change. They have a package going to downtown Savannah that picks you up right outside their door.

    « Pleasantly Surprised »

We stayed a night here because downtown Savannah was booked and/or too expensive. We didn't not have super high expectations, so we were pleasantly surprised at our one night stay. The rooms were clean and the beds were pretty comfortable. The breakfast had several different options. Only issue was the Wifi was spotty and didn't really work. Overall, we were happy to stay here for the price!

« only problem was the noise »

If you're looking for peace & quiet, this might not be for you. Other than that, the motel is all suites, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable, lots of amenities. The free breakfast had plenty on offer, all of it good, and the room was kept clean and everything stocked up. All but 1 staff member were very pleasant & helpful. Spoke to the manager prior to leaving, and he compensated me with points on my BW account due to the noise issue. However, be aware that no effort was made to do anything about the noise by the staff, and it was an issue for hours.

« Stayed one night Bug Problem »

Stooped at pooler GA, overnight so my parents could rest. They slept fine, me not so much. I woke about 2:00 AM and found a huge roach in the bathroom. I got rid of it and since I was awake I walked to the front desk and told the night attendant and his response to me was that this is the south and you have to expect bugs, he did not ask my room number of offer any assistance at all. I have stayed in hotels all over the south and this is the first time I have ever seen a roach in any of them. The night attendants response was even more irritating. I paid 110.00 a night and it seems I could have done better. The next morning the free breakfast was so busy you could not get into the dining area especially with a motorized wheel chair so we went to a nearby Cracker Barrel.( No bugs there) will never stay at this location again. One other thing that is irritating is that all the doors slam shut on you and this would be ok if my mother was not in a wheel chairs. The is not a handicapped friendly place as they have not kept it up. t

    « overall very comfortable »

I had a pleasant stay. Staff is very friendly, and the beds were very comfortable and had plenty of pillows. My room had a fridge and microwave, and really good and quiet heat/AC unit. I was a bit irritated that the TV could not be set to take an input from a computer/game/dvd player. And I had some difficulties with getting an accurate receipt at checkout, but overall not a bad place to stay.

« Not Fancy just Very Nice »

Staff were wonderful, And Property is upscale. Everything is included in room and quite comfortable. They have obviously gone the extra mile to make guests not worry that anything will not be available and work well. It was nicest Motel we have stayed in without costing over $250 a night.

« Dont even come near to it! »

We thought a Best Western Plus would be a good choice but it turned out to be a very bad one. The room was not cleaned properly, the corridors do not smell good and breakfast is served only until 9 am. I must mention that the people at the front desk were very nice, especially Andrea. She tried to help but the cleaning lady was not at the hotel, and although she wanted to clean herself, she had to attend the front desk. I told her not to worry and I ended cleaning up the bathroom with desinfectant. Not my job nor Andrea's.

    « Super Nice Hotel »

We have stayed at many hotels, but this one wins the biggest prize. Super clean, modern, new. Breakfast was very good. The value was unbeatable. Bed and pillows were awesome. Little fridge, microwave and nice flat panel TV. No smell of any kind in the room of any kind. You will not be dissapponted and you'll love your stay. I complimemted the GM, Keith Smith, and he was very kind and immediately gave credit to his staff. That's the reason this hotel is so great. It has a great GM,

« Good value! Free airport shuttle! »

We stayed one night at the Savannah Best Western and, despite some disgruntled reviewers, we went ahead and picked it based on both it being the best price (given we booked less than 24 hours prior) and this location offered a free shuttle to and from the airport. We arrived late evening, 11 pm, and the shuttle picked us up from the airport right on time. The shuttle and desk staff were pleasant. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The morning buffet selections were comparable to most hotel breakfast buffets, including hot and cold food, but was very crowded. The eating area was small and there wasn't enough seating. There were lines for food and people would scoop up food as fast as it was being put out. No gluten free muffins or pastries. Important to note, if planning to use the shuttle, you must give 24 hour notice. Some how we missed this fact and had not arranged for a morning shuttle back to the airport. However, the front desk was kind enough to find someone to drive us back despite the lack of notice. Aside from the crowded buffet, I would use this location again!

« Not what we expected »

The girl at the desk barely smiled and seemed very annoyed by her job. The bathroom had several bugs crawling around on the floor. After many hours of driving we were looking forward to relaxing our sore muscles in the hot tub. We were told the heater was broken. We usually like to watch tv in bed and fall asleep with it on then turn it off sometime....no remote and was told there were no more remotes. Just not a pleasurable experience after a long day on the road.

« Beautiful Room and Property; Administrative Issues »

Our king bed room suite was clean, quiet, had a nice large TV, with the typical refrigerator and microwave. We could not have asked for a nicer room. A couple of administrative issues. First, upon arrival (a little earlier than 3:00 check in time) the first words (before hello) out of the front desk personnel's mouth were, "Our check in time is 3:00 to allow housekeeping to clean the rooms, so your room will not be ready until 3:00. One of the housekeeping personnel happened to hear this statement, and advised the front desk personnel that many rooms were in fact ready for check in and we could have a room immediately, which we ultimately were provided. (Umm, a little awkward.) Next, my wife and I had been on the road for a number of weeks, and had stayed in multiple Best Western properties. We had a $25 off promotional coupon that was sent to us from Best Western, which we wanted to use at this property. Upon presentation to the front desk personnel, she did not know how to apply the discount and asked me to send a soft copy of the coupon to the manager (which I did), and she told me that they would apply the discount after the fact. The next morning, the bill did not reflect the discount. I went back down to the front desk and it took the morning desk personnel about 20 minutes to figure out how to apply the discount, which he ultimately did, while I stood there for 20 minutes. Obviously the manager nor the check in desk personnel bothered to advise me when they had a problem applying the discount the prior afternoon. Not good. Next, though the property was very nice, the hot tub, ice machines and business center printer all had signs posted that they were out of order. Not a big issue, but an unnecessary inconvenience. This property could have easily earned five stars from me had it not been for the poor customer service from their check in personnel and 'manager' (remember who your customer is), and having several service related items out of order.

    « Adequate »

Spent one night traveling down 95. Staff was very friendly. Rooms a bit worn but pretty clean, although bathroom could have used more cleaning. Bed comfortable and air conditioning worked well. Breakfast OK. Hard boiled eggs available, waffles, sausage, pastries, muffins, but eggs were powdered. Would rate this Best Wesern Plus a good 2 star, vice the 2 1/2 star given. Would stay again as price I got was very good.

    « Disappointed For Sure »

This Best Western is in need of refreshing it's paint, carpets, and cleanliness. The hallways are dark, dingy, and have a musty smell. I am fairly certain that the blanket on the bed had not been changed or laundered in no telling how long. The price for the value of stay was way too high. The next evening, we stayed in an impeccably clean Marriott Courtyard in the Atlanta area, and the difference between the two hotels was as if I was in the Ritz Carlton on the second night.

    2
« "I DON'T CARE what you write in your review" the front desk said »

While the rooms was not bad, the employees (especially the evening front desk) need a serious upgrade. When we came back from working all day to find that that housekeeping had not touched our room (cleaned or towels) at all. When I called the front desk, she informed me that they were only a 3 star hotel and they didn't have to bring clean towels to the room. I went down to the front desk and had to get kinda nasty to get new towels and when I told her I was going to include her in the review, she said " I don't care what you write in your review, it won't make a difference". The room condition was like looking at a car from a distance and liking it, but as you got closer, the warts became clear. On the first day (before I had to get towels) the room was "2 star clean", BUT in the bathroom, the exhaust fan was growing a beard on the louvers and the paint was pealing on the walls in the shower and in back of the sink. Overall, the problem with this hotel is that there is more demand than rooms in Savannah, so the hotels just do the minimum. One night stay is OK, more than that stay away.

« Excellent place to stay! »

Excellent place to stay! Very polite & accommodating staff, very clean room as well as the motel itself. I would expect to pay a lot more then I did for a hotel of this quality. This was the only motel that I could find who's shuttle runs 24 hours a day so therefore they were able to accommodate me with my 5:30 a.m. flight. I will definitely recommend this Hotel to anybody wanting an inexpensive high quality stay!

    « Returning Home »

This hotel was okay for 1 night but needs to be updated to earn that "plus" rating they advertise. Wouldn't stay here again. No one was at the desk when we arrived, I had to search for a desk person. Breakfast wasn't the best and the room needed major updating.

This was our fourth stay at this hotel. Unfortunately, it has gone down hill the over last 2-3 years due to lake of upkeep. Our bathroom walls had multiple, large, unpainted white plaster (?) patches. The first floor ice maker was out of service again. The staff was friendly and attentive but the room condition issues put a damper on the stay.

    « Trip to Savannah »

Advertised beer and wine at 5:00 pm, did not offer that. The hot tub did not work, there was a broken ice machine on our floor and had to go to another floor to get ice. The bathroom shower felt like if you leaned on the shower, you would fall through. Cheaply done.

    « Disappointed »

Opposed to other stays at BW, this was very disappointing. From the fire alarm going off just outside our room and nothing done about it to the employee at the checkout desk who ignored patrons, to the unpleasant odor in the room, this was not a great experience. This would not stop me from booking another BW in the future....but never this one again. It was the last day of our second honeymoon planned with great care for out 25th anniversary and it left us flat after 5 previous days of enjoyment.

    « A great stay except. . . . »

Our stay at the Best Western Plus was great. The room was cozy and clean, as was the hotel in general. The only negative happened at breakfast. It was not the fault of Best Western, but some event nearby must have led to MANY kids and parents at the hotel. The breakfast bar was literally nuts with kids! They were orderly, but there were so many of them that food was tough to get at, tables were grabbed as soon as they emptied, and the breakfast room was wall to wall people!

Best Western made my proposal weekend amazing. The rooms were exceptionally clean with professional staff members. My fiance was ecstatic. The atmosphere was just wonderful. Thank you Best Western. -Justin Green

    « Smelly room »

The room seemed clean enough, the carpet could have used a cleaning. The shower fixture and hair dryer seemed to be coming off the wall. My big problem with the room was that it smelled. Was it mildew or dirty feet I don't know, but I smelled it all night.

« Decent hotel for a stopover on our drive south. »

We stayed here as a stopover on our way to Florida. Nice hotel located close to I-95 so it was easy to get off, into our hotel and back on the next day. Not much around it for any real food options and the breakfast buffet looked pretty minimal with your basic bagels, muffins, greasy sausage and very runny fake eggs. Although they did have a waffle maker. Basically a nice place for a quick one night stay.

    « What a Stinker! »

This hotel stinks--literally. We bought air fresheners and fans to make the room tolerable, but the whole place smelled like very pungent cooking spices. It was very unpleasant and, frankly, over-priced. Will never stay here again.

    2
    « Poor Maintenance »

Has the potential to be a nice hotel, but the poor maintenance on the facility creates numerous issues that you may have to deal with during your stay. Internet, hot tub, sauna and refrigerator in the room all had issues during our stay.

« Half done and many smells »

The room i was in had a broken window and you can tell they put nice furniture in the room but the walls and borders were cracked and needed some work. It seemed as though they upgraded the furniture but not the building. Their are many smells before you reach your room and then the room smells of mold. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. If they did the upgrade correct, clean better and fix things that are broken it would not be that bad. !!!PICTURES ARE DECEIVING!!!

    « fabulous stay »

Room was clean and large. Bed Bug inspection uncovered no signs! Breakfast was large and filling. Plenty of coffee! Pool facility was nice and the kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and there was also a great hot tub. WE LOVED our stay here Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

« In laws in town »

The staff were all extremely courteous and helpful. By in-laws were from NY, and had never been to Savannah before. The ladies at the front desk have them many ideas for things to do, including the Savannah Trolley Tours that pick you up right at the hotel. The only thing that I would change is that the pool room was why too hot. The pool is heated, which is nice. However, without proper ventilation the pool room would have been much more comfortable.

    « First Stay!!!! »

My family and I stayed at this hotel during our Spring Break trip. I was happy with the room. I found the room to be clean, well equipped, and spacious. I was extremely happy that our room had a mini refrigerator and microwave. Our room also had a sitting area with a sofa bed. I was also thrilled with the price of the room. We paid approx $79 for a King room. The only issue we had was with breakfast. The food was good, but the breakfast room was very packed. We found it hard to maneuver around people to get our food. I also believe the breakfast hours should be extended to at least 10 am and hopefully that might help with the overcrowding. Overall we had a great stay!!

    « Disappointment »

We have stayed here before but this time, march 26, 2016 just went from bad to worse. We stayed the week before and it cost $115. This week they charged $151. We asked for a king handicap. When we got to the room it was handicap but two double beds. They changed us to a king room not handicapped. Time to get a shower and the shower head fell off. They offered us another room. Our third. We declined. We had already moved our stuff once. So we got a good nights sleep with no shower for either of us. The person at the desk said there was nothing he could do..curious i went online and they were charging $87 for the same room. We were paying $151. Wth. No offer for compensation because we couldnt shower. So we asked. They gave us $75 off the price. Got home and realized my husband had left his not very often used cell phone in the first room. We called and they said they would send it to us. Just checked the visa bill. A charge of $63.61 to send us his $1 phone. $63.61!!!!!!!!!!! We r seniors and travel. This is not how a hotel should b operated. No more stays at this hotel. I understand problems but this place has bad business practices. Our previous stay, they kept the hold on our money on the credit card for 8 days before removing it.

    « Wouldn't stay there again »

The staff at the check in was friendly. Our bathroom was dirty, we found hairs in the bath tube and the whole bathroom could need a renovation. The breakfast is only until 9 and the offer is very poor. There were too many people in the small breakfast hall so we left right away again.

« Reasonable price, lovely room friendly staff »

This Best Western is a very lovely place to stay at and very close to the airport which is why we booked it. The room was beautiful and really the best one we have ever been in. We do stay at lots of Best Westerns so we are able to compare with others. The staff were friendly and the afternoon popcorn was a treat . Pool was small but inside --good for rainy days. We were very disappointed with the breakfast Watery eggs and many sugary hidden items. Best Western really should do a over haul with the Breakfast offered and really add simple basic health foods to the menu. Get ride of the sugar and white carbs. You would do a great service to every ones health and well being Not to mention give every one a good start to their day.

    « Below Expectations »

Hotel was clean. Staff person was not pleasant at check in. Nor the next day. Good staff goes a long ways. Not found here. Our room cards would get us in the hotel but repeatedly not the room. The staff would tell us how we need to keep them away from other cards, cell phones, etc. Each time same result and another preaching how it must be us. Issues with the room but after experiencing the staffs lack of concern and initial bad attitude we felt complaints were useless. 4 night stay for wedding anv. 1st stay with BW.

    « Improvement Needed »

Our family arrived later in the evening on our way home from vacation. Check-in took over half an hour as there was "trouble with the system". While we were waiting we noticed a number of guests from one area of the hotel informing the staff of water concerns near their rooms. When we were checked in the staff member still placed us into that area!!!! When we arrived at the room we noticed obvious signs of recent water damage to the room. When we pointed out the concerns she then relocated us to another room. Why put us through the hassle when there was a known problem!!?? We had a business suite which was well laid out and spacious. However, there was a musty odor and the shower area needed work badly. The beds were good, and the breakfast was good.

    « Flooded room »

I shared the room with Terry & JoAnne - after sleeping for 3 hours we were awakened to find water pouring into our room inches deep - about 20 feet into the room. Upon asking they did give us another room upstairs - no offer of help in moving our stuff - had to even ask them to unlock the room holding the rolling carts. By the time we packed up and got resettled it was hours later and you can imagine quit hard to get back to sleep. When they charged full price for the room and we asked for an adjustment the person said it was above their pay grade but would have the manager call. That didn't happen so we called again. Finally got to talk to the manager hours later and she offered 10% discount - to which we said you have got to be kidding - then the offer went to 20%. I cannot believe that it wasn't a minimum of 50% and I would think that night should have been free. I have no problem with paying full price for the first night. Room was great and a lovely breakfast. I talked to my friend that had a motel for many years and he said he would have given that night free. Anyway what you need to think about is what old people do - we get together go out to eat and/or just visit and we talk and talk and talk about when we are treated well and when we are not - so you can guess what I will be saying about Best Western. And you need to know that my husband and I have been staying at Best Western (because I like their breakfast and their comfortable beds) ever since we gave up traveling in our motor homes. Now I will be telling people about how Best Western handles problems and it is not in customers best interest. We will be finding another motel. Any questions feel free to call 509.660.0225 Thanks Beverly Cobb

« No way to treat a customer. »

On the first night I happened by the reception desk and asked for two boxes of tissues. The lady said only one per customer.I thought she was kidding until she went into the room in the rear of the desk area, and came out with just one box. I questioned the concern over a box of tissues. She said "I'd give you more but it's hotel policy. Sorry." as she then left the desk area toward the front entrance. It was not a big deal but it left me with a bad taste in my mouth.Overall though, the rest of the hotel was OK, but just average.

    « Nice stopover »

This Best Western is conviently located on I-95 with easy on and off and near the Savannah Airport. The WiFi worked very well and the breakfast was very good. When we travel we are not particular when it comes to what side or floor our room is located but from what I could tell it would be quiet most in most rooms. The rooms are spacious and clean but we did have trouble with the bathroom door but once reported it was taken care of. There is a nice Cracker Barrel to enjoy a meal. Overall, a good place to stop whether you are just traveling on I-95 or wanting to go into Savannah without paying Savannah prices.

« More of a Best Western minus the Plus »

This hotel was a little bit disappointing. Check in took forever - only one person working front desk & they had a difficult customer. Great Location - place is right off Interstate & right beside the INCREDIBLE Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum. Breakfast experience was very good. Room seemed a little "old" with discolored chalking and "iffy" wallpaper & carpet in places. The fact that we had to pay a premium price due to St. Patrick Day celebration in Savannah just increased our feeling that we didn't quite get our money's worth.

We both appreciated the location and the services provided by Best Western. We also like the points card for a nights stay where ever we go in the USA. We really liked the good breakfast options we had to choose. Friendly staff and good parking.

« Easy Access to Savannah »

Not only did this hotel meet our expectations for cleanliness, friendliness, breakfast, style, but it was also well located. Coming from Jekyll Island on Hwy 95 it was an easy find off the exit. Next door was the National Museum of the Eighth Air Force. No parkiing issues. The hotel had helpful brochures down the hall on first floor. We chose the Oglethorpe trolley, easily drove in to the lot, parked for free. Took the 90 minute tour ($18 each with discount we asked for) and afterwards wandered back through the city. We stopped at the small but moving Civil Rights Museum a short walk from where we parked our car earlier. Savannah is very walkable with lots of sights within the Historical District. Leopolds was a great stop for ice cream, sandwiches and soup. Your Oglethorpe driver will point it out. Staying at this BW made our exploration work well. We paid a mere $191. 04 for two nights. Great stay.

    « Poor Customer Service! »

We called and made sure a king suite was available and booked it. When we get to the hotel they give us a handicap room with 2 queen size beds. My husband told them they give us the wrong room and they said that is all we have left. He explained that we did not book that room and that we made sure that what we booked was available. They said they couldn't do anything about it. It was 1 in the morning and we were exhausted so we decided to deal with it when we got up. My husband went and talk to them sometime around noon and they told us they would have the room we booked ready when we got back that afternoon. Well guess what....no room! They claimed they knew nothing about it and they didn't have anything open. I don't know how they figured that cause there was several parking spaces available that night and Sunday morning. Yes the room was clean, but that is all I can say. Customer service was horrible. My husband is 6'4" and 330 lbs. so we didn't hardly get any sleep because the bed was to small. They should have at least admitted to messing up and give us a credit or something, not keep lying to us.

I had a great stay here. Staff was always pleasant, location was excellent within 10 minutes downtown. 30 minutes from wildlife refuge and beach with plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Rooms are large with updated equipment and great decor. If you stay here also the air force museum is next door right off the back walkway which is a must see in my opinion.

« Nice hotel for price and location »

On a recent trip to Savannah, we stayed at the Best Western Plus. There had been some problems with our reservation, but that was handled quickly and professionally by Ellie. Short drive to downtown Savannah, room was in good shape and the continental breakfast was just what we needed before heading out each day. We mistakenly checked out of the hotel without even glancing in the closet only to realize what we had done 20 minutes down the road. A quick call to the hotel remedied that and Januaria saved the day.

    3
    « Good but Over-Priced »

Overall, the premises was good, as well as, its location. However, it is a bit OVER-PRICED compared to the many hotels I have used Internationally and throughout the US. The room was not bad, except for the shortage of linen. We stayed in an executive suite, but it was more like an indoor Motel v. Hotel.

    2
    « Horrible »

First off we could not check in as soon as we arrived so we had to wait almost 2 hours to check in. Once we got checked in we were checked into the wrong room. We also were checked in under some one else's name. We were also overcharged as well as double charged for the room. We reserved a king suite and were placed into a double room. We were very upset and the situation was not handled properly. We live almost 5 hours away and had to handle these things over the phone.

« Nicest lobby I've ever seen at a Best Western »

Helpful staff recommended for dinner a nearby Indian restaurant that was quite good. Room was large and nicely decorated. We slept soundly despite being so close to I-95. Standard breakfast fare in the morning.

« Misrepresentation and False advertising! »

My husband And I were traveling to Florida from Montreal and been on the road for two days. We were looking for a nice affordable hotel to spend the night. After stopping at a rest area where we picked up one of those hotel coupon books, The Best Western Plus Savannah was advertising rooms for $74.00 per night plus a free Happy hour with snacks, beer and wine! We thought this was great so chose this hotel! We arrived at 2:50pm on a Sunday afternoon. When we asked about the special coupon rate of $74.00' we were told it wasn't good for weekends or holidays however the add only says holidays. Since we were so exhausted we said we would pay the regular price $119.00 plus taxes. After we had checked in I asked where and when does Happy hour take place. The check in clerk informed us that they don't do that anymore however their pamphlet at the front desk stated that there was a Happy hour with free wine Beer and snacks as well! Definitely False advertising! The Happy hour was one of the reasons we chose this hotel ! When we got to our room all we wanted to do was relax and have a cold drink but wait for it ,Yup the ice machine was broken! It will be interesting to see if there is a hot breakfast as advertised tomorrow morning.... Not Impressed!!

« Our whole room was TILTED! »

The first impression of the hotel is nice - the lobby is tastefully decorated and you can tell they've done some updates. Proximity to the Mighty Eight museum is great. The front desk staff were friendly. But something was really "off" about the whole place. First, our entire room was crooked/sloped/sagging. It was enough that it was mildly disorienting, especially in the bathroom where there were zero right angles to be found. You could drop a pencil anywhere in the room and it would roll inward. The bed was crooked, the TV was crooked, the doors didn't line up, trim was not squared. The bathroom counter and vessel sink was so high that I'd hit my forearms on it when trying to wash my hands (I'm 5' 3"). Seems like with such a high counter, they chose the wrong type of sink for functionality, although it did look nice. The daily cleaning service was the worst I've ever had, and that's what brings this review from a 3 down to a 2. They made the bed, and that's it. They didn't even vacuum or wipe a single surface. I'm attaching a photo of the large gap that was under our door. We had to stuff a towel under it in order to help block sounds from the hallway. I'm also attaching a photo of the tacks they had used to hold up the curtains. This could be a nice place, but it needs some work!

All your front desk staffs are very friendly and helpful!! My room was very large and clean and! nice too!! I loved it!! Air force museum was right next to hotel and only 10 to 15 min from downtown. Thank you for your great service and we will be back next weekend for St Patrick's day!! :)

« Bedbugs, Roaches, and Poor Service! »

My family and I recently booked at this hotel. We checked in 4/4/16 and checked out soon after. Long story short there were bedbugs! This was seen by the manager on duty and we were refunded our monies. The only problem was no hotels had any available rooms, so all 11 (6 children) of us slept in our cars. Management never contacted me as I requested. I decided to call customer care to make a complaint. Conveniently, I then received a call from Mr. Patel. He was rude and very smart mouthed and offered no resolution or apology. He wanted every picture and video I had which I did not give him due to his shady character. Again conveniently, the 2 rooms where checked after I had made the call on 4-8-16, 4 days later. He sent a receipt stating there were no bedbugs yet the service time was 10:27am-10:28am, 1 minute to thoroughly check 2 rooms for bedbugs??? Its a good thing I have video footage, pictures, and witnesses to back up my claim. Beware people... why would anyone wait 4 days to have a property checked, and how could 1 minute of service define a thorough inspection. Mr. Patel has been very unethical and rude. I plan to take this issue further before someone else goes through what we did nearly 1000 miles from home. This was just one of our many complaints.

« Unsanitary is an understatement! »

I arrived at 10 pm, went straight to bed. Room looked good at 10pm..spacious. In the am, I discovered that the previous guest has been male as dried urine was stillevident on the back of the toilet. There was no hot water at 8 am so decided to take a sink bath. Discovered black fleck that I intially thought were bugs floating in the water, closer inspection depicted possible mold under the sink stopper. I complained to front desk who offered me a 15% discount because after all, I did sleep there. ( are you kidding me????) front desk manager offered me 30% back. I mentiones these were health hazards and my stay should be comped. She said she would have her boss call me, he has not. I have since filed a complaint with my credit card company and the Savannah health dept and better business bureau. Never again.

    « Worst Experience »

Terrible front desk service and the worst breakfast. The front desk made me book my hotel room through my phone, while the front desk was 100 percent capable of doing this. The breakfast coffee served was brown water. I complained and nothing was said or done.

    « Great stopping place »

This hotel is very handy to I95, large suite type rooms, very clean and well maintained. Stuff very helpful. The only complaint would be the size of the breakfast area, not big enough for the number of people staying a the hotel. The night we were there the hotel was full, and there was a line up for seats the next morning. They disown up a meeting room as overflow, but it was nor well advertised to those waiting.

    « Nice and Comfy »

The Best Western Plus was a good stay. Nicely located off the highway and not very far from the downtown area, shopping, or the airport. If we ever go back to Savannah, which we would like to...we'll stay here.

    2
    « Overpriced »

This hotel is overpriced. We stayed at this property 10 years ago and found it wonderful. We didn't even shop around for another hotel in the area because of our good experience previously. There are lots and lots of hotels in the immediate area and within 10 minutes (25-30). Based on my stay this time, I think it was worth $50-60 per night. Much better room can be found for <$100 in the area. We paid about $120 for this room.

« Beautiful Hotel in a Great Location »

We needed to stay in a hotel on our way to Florida. We were hoping to stay somewhere close to Savannah, GA, so we could spend a few hours there while driving to Sanibel Island, FL. We picked the Best Western in Pooler because of its location, close to Savannah, and its very reasonable rate. It turned out that we loved the hotel because of its cleanliness, quiet atmosphere, proximity to Savannah, and value. We will definitely stay there again and recommend it highly to other travelers.

« The Best Western Experience »

Ellie was great. The hotel was in a great location. Walk to the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum, just outside the back door. Beds were comfy and breakfast was good. Popcorn and lemonade in the lobby was a nice treat. Walk to great restaurants and night life. I recommend a stop at Bootleggers just across the street.

« Acceptable hotel but really crying for some updates »

For the money, one of the best values in Savannah. However some of the amenities are showing their age (sauna not working, multiple issues in exercise room, ice machines broken, etc). Good for short business trip (Ok beds, decent internet, good space available in room.)

    « Could be cleaner....expected cleaner rooms.... »

We loved the staff... but when we first got into our room we couldn't believe it. The curtain above the air conditioner was disgusting. The bed linens looked like someone stomped on them with dirty shoes and there were some questionable bugs crawling around. Could have been ants but not sure. Called the staff right away and they came to inspect and gave us another room right away. Everything looked great until we turned down the sheets.. Gross...called them again and asked them to change the sheets. It's a shame because the staff was so nice, the hotel is so pretty, but the cleanliness of the hotel was not good. It happened to be a weekend that the price was double for the rooms. I expected to have a clean room .

« From Atlanta; Rooms are bigger than most. »

Good location for heading downtown. Staff is friendly. Swamp/garbage smell coming up the elevator shaft. Bathroom not cleaned properly daily, skid marks still in the toilet after three days, shower head plumbing loose in the wall. Watch for roaches in rooms, killed a few, asked the desk to have the remains removed and spray the room. Returned end of the day and bodies were still there which suggest the room wasn't sprayed either. Needed some extra shampoo/conditioner after maids had left for the evening, front desk couldn't provide any and told us we'd have to wait until the maids came back the next day. Breakfast staff not able to keep up with number of customers and start cleaning up before the end time with customers still eating. Only apples for fruit. Coffee maker stopped working, staff said it just needed to be cleaned, and they did! Right in the middle of the breakfast rush. I would have thought the machine would normally have been cleaned daily after the breakfast closed? No milk selection in cartons, had to ask for milk that was kept in the kitchen. Biscuits should be kept warm and gravy should be kept hot. No local or national news papers. Pool water heavy with chlorine, uncomfortable the eyes. Very few pool towels available and small/thin. Pool is small. Hot tub smaller.

    « Rooms great, Breakfast P*ss Poor »

2-3 night earlier, we stayed in the BW in Culpeper, Va on Route 522. We had a King AND a STUNNING Breakfast. Rate & Taxes (all in) amounted to $100. I rated them overall between a 9-10. (I am a BW Rewards member). This time (at Pooler/Savannah) I also got a King and paid overall $160. Both Rooms were clean & pleasant, as was the Staff. At YOUR Hotel Restaurant, I had better Breakfasts in the Army 46 years ago. First off, there was only ONE Girl working the Breakfast area (busier than a "one armed paper hanger"), and yet, still pleasant. Got there, and this new fangled "cock a mamy" Coffee machine was OUT! She CCOULD NOT REFILL IT. We actually went thru our breakfast, and Finally, by the end of breakfast, it got Changed or Refilled". Which one of you Rocket Scientists thought this one was a good idea....WRONG!!!! I would have done better to go back to my room, make the coffee, and get back BEFORE it got back up and running. When you Don't have coffee, "Ready & On Demand", your breakfast isn't worth a Tinker's Damn!!!!! (Not to mention the crappy either 1) powdered eggs, or 2) scrambled eggs that have had the crap cooked out of them!!!!!)...any further questions?

Room was very nice and spacious however the trash cans outside and in the breakfast room needed to be emptied. The elevator was not clean either (chips and snack wrapper both upon check in and checkout). Bed was comfortable, towels were fluffy. I would still recommend the hotel. Location and price were great.

A recently revamped hotel, profession reception staff who always acknowledged you on passing. Breakfast was 1st class with friendly staff. The hotel is next to the air museum, Pin Point museum is 30 minutes away. Cracker Barrel is almost next door. Tanger Outlet 10 minutes. In reception in the afternoon popcorn and lemonade is served, tea and coffee available 24 hours. Free morning paper. Our room was a suite with 2 queen beds and a 42 inch tv. Room was serviced every day and plenty of toiletries. There is also a swimming pool and guest laundry, all at a reasonable price. Wifi is slow but is free and works. I would come again.

I have stayed three times at the Best Western Plus Savannah Airport Inn and Suites on business between January and February. Everything was good from all shifts of the customer service front desk, the cleanliness of the rooms and those who keep it clean everyday, the breakfast, and the fresh popcorn on the weekday evenings with lemonade. It was comforting to stay especially when you are on the road and missing home. Pooler, Ga. Best Western is my choice to stay even on a family trip.

We had a GREAT stay at BWP Savannah Airport Inn & Suites. At check-in Janesca & Terrence were fantastic. When we asked Terrence about a nearby carwash, he took time to go on the internet and find a couple in the area and printed us out the directions to both! He also recommended places to eat and one we went to was wonderful! We will stay here again and would highly recommend this Best Western!

On our way to Florida we stayed overnight. We were greeted by Scott the evening manager who was friendly and cheerful. Our room was clean and very comfortable and the cost reasonable. The breakfast unfortunately was not very appealing. However, breakfast is never a consideration for us since there are usually an abundant choices for restaurants nearby. Overall I was very satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the Savannah area.

I had to call the supplier of the service in order to have them send another signal to the hotel so that I could access the internet. The hotel's desk personnel where of no help in resolving this problem. It was like they threw up their hands and said, "that's life".

« Has gone down hill.... »

Have stayed here in the past year and was very happy, bu things have changed. The front desk help used to be great, no more. The breakfast help changed. They tried to pre peel the hard boiled eggs? They looked awful. I got water instead of coffee out of the machine. The trash cans were full outside. The ice machine was broken for a week. The floors were dirty. Just was not what I was used to. I will seek other accommodations on my next trip.

The nicest Best Western yet, a great value. Excellent location, large rooms, comfortable bed, clean and well taken care of. Large HD TV, internet and a very good breakfast compared to similar hotels. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again without question.

« Great meeting spot with the kids »

I have stayed at this hotel twice now the hotel staff is friendly the rooms are clean and comfortable. The rates are extremely competitive. It is definitely the best hotel in its price range anywhere around Savannah. This hotel has become the official hotel in Savannah for our family.

Staff went out of the way to help after I had an injury off hotel grounds. Rooms are spacious and clean. Fitness room was too cold but had all the basics. Pool is warm and good for swimming as exercise.

« too Early breakfast time, but great Hotel! »

Breakfast was stopped by 9am and that's far too early, but hotel was clean and comfortable and very friendly and helpful staff. Will be back but eat breakfast elsewhere. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

    « Good and Bad »

Pro's : Good Price, Nice Room, Breakfast Con's : Pool and Hot Tub looked like it had never been cleaned. Shower made annoying ringing noise. The location is great for a trip along I-95. Very close to Savannah, Georgia, This was the second time we used this hotel in 2 years. It is right next to some air force museum.

« Perfect place to stay near Savannah airport »

This is a perfect place to stay near the Savannah airport. Large nice rooms and furniture and far enough off the freeway to make it quite. Staff in genuinely friendly. Good self serve breakfast to boot. They will shuttle to the airport but ask do for a 24 hour reservation to do so. This was not mentioned on the web site, but the staff accommodated me anyway when I arrived.

    « I dislike Curry smells »

Not quite the Best Western Plus experience I'm used to. Got it on Priceline for a very discounted rate, so I couldn't resist. Arrived from the airport in an Uber Cab about 9:30pm. My first thought was, "well it looks like most 'Plus' locations on the outside." Unloaded my luggage onto the nice, not-run-down luggage cart. Walked in, all the way across the colorful entryway to the front desk, was greeted by the staff person who was on the phone at the time. Not a problem. He hung up with his customer, and greeted me very nicely and got me checked in rather quickly, no problems there. Explained breakfast hours, wi-fi, etc. Got halfway down the uneven-floored hallway, almost to the elevator, and that's when it hit me.. THE CURRY/BODY ODOR SMELL. After the unpalatable surprise died down, I got into the elevator, to the 2nd floor, out the door, and BOOM the odor was horrendous. After walking down to my door, the door handle read "lift up to open", so I inserted the key and lifted UP, instead of the normal door motion. I assume it was broken. Walked in.. a hamster cage smell hit me. Wow. Room was mostly clean, a few blonde and black hairs in the sink, no biggie. Found some odd unmarked orange capsules in between the nightstand and the bed. Linens clean, not as soft as I usually like. King size bed was comfortable. Room very large. I just prefer a more traditionally colored hotel, not all these bright colors. Didn't get to experience the indoor pool, I had to check out before it opened at 10am.

« Great place. Great price. Great breakfast! »

Just stayed here last night. Entryway was very clean, nice and desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Free popcorn and lemonade served in decorative artsy entryway. Room was clean and spacious, with two double beds and also a pull-out sofa area to the side of the beds. Bathroom was very nice and again, clean. Swam in the pool. Enjoyed the hot tub. Sauna was not working but . . .not a big deal for us. Wifi working great in the room. The breakfast this morning was wonderful, with eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, cereal, fruit, yogurt, bagels, rolls, juices, coffee, apples, and much more. Walked over to the air museum next door. Admission price was $9. One of us walked through it and thought it was well done. Would stay at this place again in a heartbeat. Had three teens with us and they also enjoyed. Kudos to the workers and management. They've done an excellent job with this place.

    « What's that smell? »

Traveling home from a trip to Florida and stopped here for the night. At first glance it seemed fine however there was an odd odor in the second floor hallways, and the first room we were assigned smelled so overwhelmingly bad we immediately changed rooms. The only way to describe it was a blend of chemicals, dirty feet & too much air freshener. The room was large and the beds were comfortable- the bedding appeared clean but there was a lot of grime on walls, baseboards, corners and carpet. It was one of those places you don't want to take your shoes off in. Our window in our room leaked created puddles, that was a nice bonus! ?? The breakfast was bad- scrambled eggs were very watery so was the coffee. The bread was stale and they were out of many items (bagels, cereal, hash-browns, etc). The breakfast space is really cramped & the trash cans were overflowing. The pool didn't open until 10am which seemed really late so my kids did not have a chance to swim, but judging from the rest of the property I'm not sure I would have trusted the cleanliness of the pool anyway. I can say the gentleman who was working the night we checked in was very friendly, helpful & courteous. I would NOT suggest staying here. It's a shame because the location is great the rooms are big and at least some of the staff is terrific, but it was not enough.

« GREAT HOTEL IN EVERY WAY »

I love the BW in Pooler, GA. The location (next to the National Eighth Air Force Historical Museum) side door and you are in their parking lot. The staff, breakfast and amenities are all terrific. Area to sit outside next to the indoor pool, fitness room. ALL the hotel staff goes beyond normal to be friendly, helpful and professional.

« BEWARE! DO NOT STAY HERE! »

MY son stayed here this week on business. The trip was booked through priceline. When he discovered his trip had to be extended one night he had to do so through Priceline. When he got back to his room last night all of his belongings were gone. At first the front desk denied any knowledge of what had happened. He filed a police report and this morning received a call from the "head of housecleaning". This individual said that they had packed up all of his belongings and taken them to the front desk where they gave them to a "third party" traveling with my son. There is no third party. So, if the housekeeper is telling the truth, then the desk staff handed over all of my son's belongings to a random stranger with no ID, etc. A call to Best Western corporate was a waste of time. They won't get involved since each hotel is independently owned, they just send a report to the GM.

« Nice hotel but not impressed with the room.... »

Close to the Savannah airport. Friendly staff. Full breakfast was fantastic with hot items, fresh fruit, pastries. In the evening there was free popcorn beside the check in desk. Comfortable beds. Large rooms. 42 inch tv, microwave, fridge, sofa bed, The rooms at first glance or on the internet look really nifty. But once we started really looking around it was renovated poorly. The valance was falling apart, there was a large ridge of plaster on one wall, behind the toilet hadn't been cleaned in ages. On the website it said they had happy hour during the week but that is no longer available. We were only here for one night so it met our needs.

    4
    « Good Stay »

We had a very good stay with a few minor exceptions: non-working hair dryer, sauna and hot tub not working. The room was upscale, roomy, and very quiet. The overall decor of the hotel is a bit gaudy, while trying to look modern. The 'modern' is a bit overdone, in my opinion,

« Terrible Odor in Hallway »

If you want me to stay there again, do something about the odor on first floor in hallway. Smelled like **it. I liked the room. We needed the extra sleeping area. Easy on, easy off I-5, close to restaurants. I did not stay there on my way back

« Great Place to stay. »

We stayed at the Pooler, GA Best Western while on our way to Florida. The first impression was of a very well maintained hotel. upon entering the lobby, this impression was enforced. The desk clerk was very helpful and offered us free popcorn, lemonade and coffee. Our room was very quiet, spacious, and clean for the most part. We did notice that the bathroom floor was sticky and dirty, in need of a good scrubbing. The bed was extremely comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

    « Clean and comfortable »

« Comfortable, clean but distinct smell in the room »

Older hotel, that looks like it's been renovated rooms wher big and clean. BUT there was a terrible smell when I inquired , it seems they knew already. They said it was the carpet cleaner it smelled like cat urine or vinegar. Not sure what they are going to do about it. The staff was great.

    « Mixed »

Every year we drive from Vt to Fl. We stay at lots of hotels in the savannah area. This hotel was basically good. They did accept the coupon from the coupon book. Mattress was very comfortable and room was large with pull out sofa micro and fridge. Here's why 3 rating: 1. Breakfast ends at 9 feels rush to get out. 2. Lobby smelled funny. 3. Room smelled funny. 4. Could smell indian food in hallway. 5. Ice machine on 1st floor was broken. 6. Water in gym broken. 7 most importantly the young lady at the front desk was a little bit rude and rushed us out at 11 AM and the maids in the morning were very obnoxious and we asked for a late checkout and received a lot of attitude we felt rushed out.

    « Large rooms-Modern Design. Bathrooms/Plumbing Old »

Large rooms-modern design. Bathrooms & Plumbing are old-modern sink/counter. Breakfast closes early 9:30 on weekends. Get there early they shut off light and clean up on the dot. They will take food right from under you to put away. Low class guests. One threatened to fight me in line for waffle maker. That was a first for me-add to crazy vacation stories!Staff I encountered not professional...rude breakfast girl, check out girl on personal phone call. Expensive quote at check in $199 booked on priceline for $101 in lobby.

« Bad air in rooms »

My wife and I stayed in Pooler over Christmas and the air in the rooms were very debilitating. The first room we were given was awful . . . a combination of smoke, vapor, mold, and old air conditioner smell. We asked for and was given another room. This one was a bit better, but still had odors and very much smelled like hotel rooms did in the 80s. My wife has asthma and the next morning was having difficulty breathing. We were forced to pick up all our stuff, on Christmas, and move to another hotel. The hotel staff apologized but made no further effort to correct the situation. The next day my wife and I both had swollen glands that lasted three days, also due, I am sure, to the air problems. We had planned to be there 3 days and considering that we were at the end of a 10 day trip, it was really a hassle to have to change hotels. It looked like a cute hotel. I know it was an unusually warm December that might had stimulated mold growth, but it was really a terrible experience.

    « Nice hotel »

Nice hotel with good breakfast. Large room, quiet air conditioning. Convenient to I-95. Lobby area very modern and clean. Beds very comfortable. Some rooms had fold out couch bed. The one in our room was not very comfortable. The mattress was very thin. It was OK for a small child. Under the couch was not cleaned and floor below was very visible. The rest of the room was clean. Modern updated bathroom.

« Perfect place to rest »

A lovely and restful place right off 95 with easy on and off. Lots of restaurants, grocery store and gas stations close by. Clean bright with delicious breakfast selections. This is the perfect mid way point to stop if traveling to Florida. Great value.

    « Once a Year Every Year »

Visit the area every year. Always stay at BW Pooler. Big rooms, decent breakfast(which makes it far better than most), value for the $$. Convient to highway system, airport and next door to the 8th Air Firce Museum, which is worth a couple of hours to visit.

    « Pooler GA »

The Management of this hotel is never concerned with the problems or concerns brought to their attention. One time there was an hotel employee that entered my room when the "Do not disturb" tag was on the door. They could never provide a reason for that.

    « Long day »

Myself and a few others put in a long day and was in need of a place to lay our heads. We tried another hotel that was just a little closer but didn't have any non-smoking rooms. We checked with this hotel and Scott was happy to assist us. The rooms were very nice and the bed was very comfortable. I only have two items that I had an issue with. The eggs were cold and mushy, I believe they needed to be cooked longer. The other issue was the attitude of the young lady who checked me out that morning, it seemed as if I was disturbing her. Overall, Nice place to stay

« Best Western Plus was a plus! »

This was a great hotel, with so many little extras. The King bed suite was very spacious, great mattress, clean, small fridge, microwave, lovely furnishings. Amenties include indoor pool, hot tub and sauna (which was broke during our visit?). Nice breakfadt with waffles, eggs, sausages, etc. Only negative was breakfast area was crowded, but shows how popular this place is. Great price too. Location is great, ne t to a Cracker Barrel, easy access to I-95 and cool museum right next door.

« Really nice stay in Savannah »

My husband and I frequently stop along I-95 in the Savannah area on our way to and from Florida. We have particularly enjoyed staying at this property the last couple of years. It is clean, staff and courteous and helpful, the breakfast is wonderful, and it is close to lots of restaurants and amenities.

    1
    « Terrible! »

The unsatisfactory issues that I wanted to appoint (sauna, trash, smell, hot tub, bad service etc)have obviously caused problems in the past and nothing has been achieved to improve the Best Western standard.Management seems to apologize for months, but nobody is able to advise guests about the current issues. I see it as false advertising, because the reality of this hotel is not nearly comparable to what they offer. Never again!

    4
    « Consistently good »

This is my 5th stay. Good ..clean.... staff is always ready to help and beds are great ! Price is great .. BUT....there are a few things I'm starting to see that are easy fixes in my mind. Until now I haven't posted pictures but it needs to be shown. Things left in the windowsill....mold growing around the TP holder and closet doors that won't close. Like I said easy fixes on things that make or break a comfort factor for us who travel weekly for business. Will I stay there again sure.

Hands up for Best Western, but you def.want to stay away from that one! HORRIBLE smell, dirty bathroom, and unfriendly, untrained staff. Trash stored in hallway and the pool was a joke!Sauna did not work at all.Way to expensive, sorry but you are not on top of your game!

    « Never again! »

Unprofessional staff and hallways smelled like curry and trash! Trash was stored in hallway during my entire stay! Sauna did not work and the pool was not as shown as advertised. No pool towels either.Breakfast room was a mess and we were unable to sit down.Room was big and the bed was compfortable, but the bathroom smelled badly like urin! Had to finish my vacation in Savannah due to a fire in the morning! Staff informed us that it happens all the time in the same room, but the fire department didn't seem that relaxed about their attitude. We were fed up with a business card, because there was no manager there. The staff took over and we waited in line to ask a refund, but were absolutely shocked how the front desk responded to guests ahead of us.No class and no paitence to handle the situation. She was very unprofessional, so I didn't even try to get on her level!Obviously, I wanted to talk to a manager, but I took my children and checked out instead! I wrote the manager, but have not received an answer. We went to a Best Western in St.Augustine instead and received the usual great standard. Best Western-yes,but stay away from that one!

« Good Place to Stay »

This hotel was in a good location. Great Breakfast foods available and quality was good. The Sauna was out of order. The 3rd floor Ice Machine was out of order. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds and access was good. The location was not found on two different GPSs. Gave me the wrong location first. We used our cell phones to locate the property. Overall a good value for cost and good service.

    3
« Not the Best Western »

The check-in receptionist was not friendly. When I first entered the room, the bathtub didn't look clean and had a hair in it. The breakfast station ran out of everything (coffee, waffle mix, bagels, eggs) multiple times because too many people were trying to eat and there was only one staff member trying to keep up with restocking everything, also the garbage cans nearby were overflowing. The hotel (hallways, lobby) had a strong weird odor. The pool did not look as pictured on website. The sauna was broken.

    « great value »

We stayed four days and found the staff and room to be great. Clean rooms, great breakfast and great location. our last night we were woke at 05:30 by the fire alarm sounding. The staff did a great job ensuring everyone evacuated the building. this particular morning was 37 degrees, the first cold snap. I'm a Florida Firefighter and I see this scenario often. The first time the heat kicks on after being dormant all summer, dust builds on the heating elements and when the heat turns on for the first time will burn the dust, producing a light smoke triggering the fire alarm. the Pooler FD arrived quickly and found no fire. The staff provided everyone outside with blankets. The on coming desk clerk gave us a 20% discount for the inconvenience. Overall I rate this hotel highly. One lady complained and demanded a full reimbursement because of the fire alarm, so if you read her review just know some people are just unreasonable and expect thing that are beyond others control. Just know the staff did the right thing by evacuating the building. "Life safety first" great job Best Western Plus!

« Worst Staff ,Misleading Hotel..Dont Need tobe a BestWestern. »

This is not only the worst hotel ive been in my whole life but also the staff is the worst untrained, I have ever seen anywhere in the while. We had a double queen room and we paid 120$. one of the bed was broken in the middle and on the sheet of the other bad there were hair on it so we had to sleep on the broken one! the room was smelly and definitely not worth 120 box! Non-smoking room reeked of smoke and Curry Powder. Carpet was loose in many places and looked like it had been flooded. Killed three beetles that were living in the bathroom. Cob- webs in every corner. Dark hair all over the sheets. HVAC unit was full of dust and Mold. Bathroom was filthy Molded. Left the room and got a refund. There was no way I would have stayed there. I have filed a complaint with Best Western Corp.

    « Could be better »

This hotel could be better! I usually use tripadvisors to book a hotel and find the reviews to be helpful. When we first arrived the hotel seemed nice. The decor was pretty, staff nice but the entire hotel smelled like Curry. Thankful our room did not have that obnoxious smell. I would not stay there again

« Call it haunted...I call it bad management! »

Firstly, we arrived and our booking was not registered in the system. We waited a few minutes to get it all under control....not a big deal, staff apologized and our room was clean. However, the pictures of the pool area posted by the management are an illusion. The sauna was out of service and the "hot" tub stone cold. The next day we checked again and there was a nice doodle noodle surprise floating on top, so I didn't test the temperature. At 5:00 am the next morning the fire alarm rattled us out of bed, and when we checked the hallway we were overwhelmed with the smell of smoke. There was a fire on our floor. The receptionist was fantastic, she made sure she got all guest out of the hotel and I highly praise her. Thanks again! All guests were gathered outside and we had no choice, but to wait in freezing temperatures. It was very uncomfortable, because we didn't get a chance to get fully dressed.Five fire trucks arrived in a hurry. Children were scared and shivering and we waited outside for over an hour. After the fire department assured us our safety, we were gathered inside the breakfast area to wait until all issues in the second floor have been cleared. At that point people asked for a a General manager. At 7:00 the assistant manager swaggered in without any emotions, but a big amount of attitude. She was overwhelmed by customer feedback and absolutely unprofessional in handling the situation. The guests were clearly a problem for her and she seemed annoyed. The fire fighters got very angry with her as well, clearly stating that the fire was caused "again"by the same technical maintenance issue. We also heard the same statement from staff members that encouraged us to take action against the management. After the confirmation of the fire dept. all hell broke loose. The fire was caused by the irresponsibility of the hotel management. You are risking our lives, because you are not able to uphold the safety standard and necessary maintenance of a business. People started to check out, because they didn't feel safe. Others (me included) got together to get answers and a refund for the night, but there was only cold attitude, lies and undeniable arrogance in the air. We were told to address this issue to the General manager. Nobody was in sight, but we demanded to see one.We were told that he may,or may not come, but that we would receive a text message. People kept complaining, but left disappointed without a refund. We were told to stay in our rooms, but the small group that was left to "deal with"demanded a manager. Suddenly she ticked and felt "threatened" by "verbal complaining". For the information in all US states, it is an offense to threaten to (1) use a deadly weapon on another person; (2) injure another's person or property; or (3) injure another's reputation. None of us did that, but I guess some have the talent of making a mountain out of a molehill. Anyways, she called the police on us. We welcomed and supported her idea, but I guess it was a fake call, because the police never showed up. They surely were there in the morning to file the report against them! The "surprised" General manager finally arrived 6 hours after the incident. His delay proved to me his level of leadership and sense of responsibility. The icing on the cake was that he actually had the nerve to blame the fire on the guests and that a refund was out of question. He told us that we should consider it like a natural disaster, and after all,we were able to sleep till 5:00 am. Kindergarten, but unfortunately I didn't have crayons to explain to him nor his assistant what really happened. I saw no more point in arguing with them, they did a fine job in proving their complete ignorance on their own. Thanks to the great staff members that helped us during that time. YOU were there for all of us and have shown superiority, while others were absent.

We really like staying here and hope to for years to come. The BEST part is the Wonderful Beds ! We always look forward to a restful sleep. The room smelled of paint which we did not care for and there was no way to open the window to get fresh air inside. Thankfully we only stayed one night or would have asked for another room due to paint fumes. Still over all it is our Fav. place to stay

    « comfort after a long day »

After driving all day from early morning, my wife and I were looking for a relaxing evening. That's exactly what we found at this motel. Everyone was very nice to us. The only negative was the breakfast in the morning, especially the "eggs" It was identified as scrambled but looked like it was run over by a roller. This was something we never experience on other trips.

Ensure before/after checking in the room is not still occupied before getting to room to find a do not disturb sign hanging on door knob and finding it is occupied or still needs cleaning, especially if your are short on time needing to be somewhere. Due to the screw up you end up getting to event late which to me is totally unacceptable, especially after you attempt to check in early but are told only after 3:00 p.m. and problems occur.

The Property is clean and the room is comfortable. None of the room have the factory remotes so if you want to use your Laptop to interface with your in room TV you have to request a remote which took 45 minute for the staff to locate one. The management of this hotel is all about them and their money. Hotel guess are treated like a imposition. All the way up to the call at 11:05 on check out day asking me when I was getting out.. I told them as a Diamond member I am usually afforded the benefit of a late check out.

    « Overall fine place »

Met our needs well; we always stay at 3 star or higher. one person fell below expectations and the breakfast was a bit less than we wanted for our trip [If I'd been on business it would have been fine]. There is a Cracker Barrel near by/

    « My Last Days »

This was my last 2 days in Pooler, GA. My girlfriend and I stayed for two nights. The staff here are extremely professional. The room was impeccable, no complaints. If abs when I come back to this town, I would stay here again. I do recommend this hotel.

    « Impressed »

Overall I was very satisfied with my stay at this location. It was a bit further from Downtown Savannah than I had thought (15-20 minute drive), but that was my own fault. The quality of the rooms were amazing, my girlfriend and I really enjoyed are stay here and are definitely coming back with friends next time we come to Savannah. The rooms are clean and the staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time. Unfortunately, was too hungover to wake up on time for breakfast! :)

« Odor in the room »

There was a terrible odor in the room when we checked in. This was not the case on the last several stays at this hotel. We normally had good experiences at this hotel. Our next trip through Savannah we will try a different hotel.

    « Needs some improvements »

Service was great, however as soon as we walked into our room our fire detector was beeping. Someone did come to replace the battery but it continued to beep. We had four staying in our room and I was told that their policy was for only three towels per room that each day I would need to come to desk to request the fourth towel. Dirty underwear was accidently found under the bed while looking for something which was just disgusting. On a more positive note the beds were very comfy, the bathroom was large and roomy and price was really affordable.

    « Much better than I expected »

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was clean, well maintained, and the staff is warm and friendly. I would stay again if I travel back to the area. My only complaint would have been about finding parking, but that didn't dampen my stay.

« Excellent hotel for the right price! »

I was pleased with this hotel. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was good and the rooms were clean and spacious. The only issue I had was at checkout. I asked the front desk at check-in that I needed to split the cost of the room 3 ways with my friends who were staying as well. They said no problem, that I could do that at checkout. However, when I called to the front desk to make sure someone was there to check us out early Sunday morning, the lady at the front told me they had already charged my card the full amount. I was aggravated, but it was fine as my friends wrote me a check. Not a huge deal, just a lack of communication! Still a nice hotel and I was pleased overall.

« Hotel ok, desk clerk rude and uncaring »

My wife booked through hotels.com and had needed a rollaway bed. Hotel did not provide and was told by clerk that it was hotels.com fault. Made her feel awful and did not try to make it better. Told her it was her fault that the room was not right. Will never stay there again.

    « Good for overnight »

Overall, the hotel is nice and in a good location just off of I-95 (exit 102). Our room was large (king) and very clean. The bed was comfortable and pillows didn't just go flat when you laid your head on them. There was a breakfast buffet provided, but we did not eat so can't comment on it's quality. My main complaint there is only 1 elevator which is a pain around 8:30 in the morning. If I got a good deal on a room, I'd stay here again.

    « Our Stay »

This was a great hotel with excellent service! We had 5 people and slept in a suite. You could hear the freeway a little bit but room was nice and clean with a pull out couch/bed in a separate room. The breakfast area was nicely laid out and there were a lot of choices. Hotel located right next to Air Force Museum.

    « Amazing »

This hotel is amazingly beautiful. From the water feature in the lobby to the vessel sinks in the bathrooms, this hotel is well appointed and beautiful. Breakfast was great with sausage and fried eggs in addition to all the favorites like waffles. The only con was that the Hot Tub wasn't very warm and had no handrail.

    « Good value - Average Breakfast »

Group price was very good for 15 rooms ($74.00) Breakfast was weak. Ran out of coffee & butter..Twice in 4 days..Did have waffles but awful hard fried eggs, good sauages. Good staff, Nice large rooms, fully equipped..Great location next to Mighty 8th Air Force museum, a must see!!

« Good wayside stop on our journey south. »

Have had good luck with BW in other locations and this one worked as well. Located right off I95 near Savannah we were able to drop into town for a wonderful dinner. The room was large, clean and priced right. Only stayed a night, but will return on future trips.

    « Nice but.... »

The lobby and Breakfast area was nice, however when heading to our room on the 2nd floor we notices a string smell of moth balls. We thought the smell might have been the laundry area but noticed more and more. The smell stayed with us even after we left, I could smell it in the car. The room was also very spacious and nice, however the smoke alarm was non existent. There was mold in the bathroom and the shower head was built for a giant. It was so high up and barely movable that I had to stand at the back of the tub to get into the water. Other than the few minor things, it was a nice hotel.

    « good »

Clean rooms and everything worked. Cleaning service just made the bed and not replace the sheets every time they came around. Twice during the five day stay the floor was not vacuumed. over all I would recommend this place as one of the better hotels I have stayed at.

    « Excellent customer service?? »

Wonderful service from the manager Damian! My father lost his credit card at the hotel- he tracked us down and held the card till we could return. Thank you for a job well done! If I owned a hotel I would hire him for the manager position- he was very personable and went above and beyond to find us amd return the card.

    « Enjoyable Stay »

I was at the Best Western Plus for 3 days and nights for an annual military reunion. The hotel is very nice, the rooms large, clean and comfortable. The staff was very attentive to our needs. The hospitality room was plenty large to accommodate all the needs of the group of 30 I was with. I recommend this hotel to anyone.

    « Helpful staff & good value »

We stayed here twice. The first night we arrived after 11:30pm and the shuttle driver still picked us up. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were large, very clean with good bathroom amenities. The breakfast offerings included lots of fresh fruit. The shuttle driver took us back and forth to the airport to pick up and drop off the rental car. He was very efficient and always smiling. The front desk staff were very helpful with suggestions and information. This is a wonderful motel for access to the airport that is reasonably priced and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again.

    « Bed bugs - Flee! / Punaises de lit - Fuyez! »

The room had a bad smell, we saw cockroaches and I have been bitten by bedbugs (more than 200 bites in one night). Don't stay at this hotel. La chambre sentait mauvais, nous avons vu des cafards et j'ai été mordue par des punaises de lit (plus de 200 piqûres en une nuit). Fuyez cet hôtel.

Room very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated. Minor maintenance issue with exhaust fan in bathroom. Lobby very attractive. Free popcorn and lemonade. Not too far from downtown. Good location. Very close to 95! We drove to the city for a delicious dinner. Savannah is beautiful!

    « Nice king suite »

Very comfortable large king suite with a comfortable bed and a sofa and chair in a sitting area which was good for us since we met up with friends and it gave us room to visit. Breakfast was pretty mediocre. Never had boiled eggs only precooked warmed up eggs and sausage. They did have a waffle maker that made four small waffles which seemed to cook and taste better then the larger ones. The young women working the breakfast area was excellent. She had her hands full because of the flooding in Charleston the hotel had extra bus loads of people and she had to hustle . Because of the extra guests the breakfast area was overcrowded even though the hotel tried to encourage the bus groups to eat in a larger room they set aside for just them. As in a former review of another hotel, it seems that housekeeping only makes beds when you stay for more than one day. They don't clean up the coffee pot or cups. The man at the desk two nights of our stay was wonderful and went out of his way to make your stay a good experience. In the evening he was making popcorn for everyone. He was fun and very helpful with any of our questions. The hotel is located about 20 minutes from the Visitor Center and if you didn't go when there was work traffic it was easy to get there. They had a small pool which we didn't use.

    « Anniversary Trip »

The hubby and I stayed here recently as part of our anniversary trip to Savannah. Overall the service was great. Tesh, who picked us up from the airport was very friendly. Andrea who worked at the front desk was great with calling us taxis. The room was clean, nicely sized for two people. I liked that there was a fridge and microwave in the room, because it allowed us to save leftovers from our meals and eat them later. I did think it was weird that the fridge/microwave console also doubled as dresser drawers and TV stand. I definitely have never seen that before. I also liked that there were so many outlets to charge our devices. The breakfast was good, but I felt that there could have been more variety in the offerings every day. Over the 4 days we were there, I ate the same thing every morning. It was delicious but a little variation would have been good. My one complaint about the room is that the toilet had an odd, loud post-flush sound that lasted for a minute or 2 after a person had flushed the toilet. All in all, the hotel was very well kept and I loved that it is within walking distance of a museum, an amusement park/game center and a Cracker Barrel. Would recommend to anyone coming to the Savannah area.

    « Clean great staff »

When we walked in someone was cleaning the floors! I was impressed! The rooms were clean the hall was clean and the staff was very happy and friendly. Breakfast could have been a bit better. We were there 3 days and the first day it was good but not so good after that.

That happens everywhere!

Great, clean. Its a small town so there aren't a lot of options but I felt this was one of the best options. Great deal, nice people. Bonus that they had breakfast in the morning. Nice features like the pool, sauna, etc. Also great wi-fi.

    « Bri goes Gray »

The Room smelt disgusting. There was a spray being used to mask the odor of mold and mildew. Allergies were on high alert. Some in the wedding party could not run the A/C because of the smell. Some people in our party were overcharged for their stay. The front desk said they could override the charges because it was management that processed the bill. We had to evacuate the hotel at 6AM because of the smoke alarms Great way to meet the bridesmaids and groomsmen in their PJ's. Checked out and gladly paid $80 more a night in Savannah for a healthier nights sleep

    « Yes, yes, yes!!! »

A wonderful facility for a 1-year old to thoroughly investigate. He loved the room (and so did we) and he really enjoyed the breakfast the next morning. We were on our way to a cruise. Try it - you will love it.

    « Bus Tour Stop »

When we arrived we were quite impressed until we entered the hall near our room, the smell was awful. The staff was spraying the hallway with a mist of some kind. When we entered the room we were again pleased, it was relatively clean and a suite. When my room mate awoke in the morning she thought I had just finished showering as she heard a dripping noise. She looked over at my bed and I was still there so she investigated and found the floor soaked and water dripping over the tub. The problem stopped and then started again, obvious to us, that it was people above us showering. When we went to breakfast we reported our problem to the desk and they informed us we would have to let maintenance know at nine. I told them we would on our tour by then so they jotted it in a notebook. When we returned that evening we asked if the problem had been resolved and the clerk told us the room above was vacant. The next morning we awoke to the same problem but the leak had extended to over the toilet. We reported it to our group leader who witnessed our problem. She spoke to the front desk and they moved us that evening when we returned. No apologies or compensation was made!!!!

    « service/conditions »

The lobby had a strong odor of bleach covering some unidentified odor. The tile in the bathroom was loose with missing grout. The shower piping was loose in the walls. The tub did not drain. The room had a strong musty smell. The next morning at breakfast we got there right at the end of breakfast which we did not realize. Instead of simply waiting for us to fix our plates, the employees were all around us grabbing food to put away. I waited at the desk for quite some time to report the tub drain problem and the employees putting up the food kept looking at me. I finally asked someone if anyone was working the desk and it was one of those employees! When I told her about the tub she said she would let maintenance know. No apologies or offering any kind of concession for our inconvenience. Would never visit this entire chain again. Was really disappointed because trip advisor had rated it well.

« Best Western PLUS Savannah Airport »

A very nice and clean hotel. It looks very modern and clean. the hotel is less than ten minutes from the airport and less than 20 minutes to historic Savannah and river area. There were many choices for breakfast but the hot items were not kept warm enough.
