« A Surprisingly Perfect Place to Stay in Plymouth »

Our experience at the Plymouth Best Western could not have been more perfect. From the darling updated room and bath to all the amenities like a coffee/tea bar, easy to operate TV, to the Free internet and ultra comfortable mattress, Best Western anticipated everything you want to have in a hotel room far from home. I also have to say how wonderful Wonzel at the desk was to us. I left a few items in my closet and he said, "No problem. We will ship them out to you and just charge the shipping on your card." Perfect. He was funny, welcoming and kind - three attributes you hope to find in people working at your hotel, but don't always. At checkout he was so efficient and friendly at the same time. When I called later to report I had forgotten a cape in the closet, he called me at home to say he had found three other items and was sending them all to me. I was so grateful and relieved. That man is a treasure.

« Great staff, great breakfast, great room, great value! »

These folks put hospitality into their mission. Really an amazing amount of pride shown by the staff and the property. A bonus was the availablity of a laundry onsite. Breakfast is different everyday.

« Great Place to Stay in this Tourist Town »

Since Best Western has been upgrading their location, (BW), they are a very good place to stay again. This is a good location to stay while in Plymouth. While you can walk to downtown, I don't recommend it. We were there in September so parking was available downtown. If you were there during the heavy tourist season, it might be worth the walk. The rooms are very nice, comfortable, with plenty of hot water. We had parking right at our door. The breakfast buffet is above average. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. This is one of the best places we have stayed in a long time!

    « Definately a "PLUS" hotel »

Excellent experience at this Best Western designed as a "plus" level. This is an expansive hotel including several buildings with two floors (no elevator). The room was well sized and equipped and very up to date. The breakfast was well stocked with a wide variety of food. Every staff person was friendly and helpful. Excellent choice if you are looking for a place to stay in Plymouth.

« Wonzel is the Best »

Stayed here for 4 nights on a Road Trip, Had to come to Plymouth as we live near Plymouth in Devon, England. Anyway, Wonzel. what can we say, he is a breath of fresh air, every hotel reception should have a Wonzel, so enthusiastic, helpful and nothing was ever to much trouble. I think my wife found a friend for life. They got on so well. Told us everything about the hotel and the area, so helpful. Hotel itself, we had Room 30 which was just on the hill above main area. Very clean, excellent standard, comfy, no noise from other rooms, laundry room in block was useful, easy walk to the town and harbour, only 15 mins. Easy access to Cape Cod Area and Martha's Vineyard. All in a lovely hotel, would stay again and well recommend.

« Nice place, staff were great »

We stayed for three nights as part of a tour of the USA. The place is well placed for visits to Plymouth Rock, as well as Boston and Cape Cod.Rooms were clean, quiet, comfortable, and fully equipped. The staff could not have been more helpful and obliging, even loaned us a kettle to make tea (we are English), they helped with information on visiting Boston, using the train from the next town, rather than Plymouth where the service is poor. On that note, getting tickets was easy from the tea caravan, paying for the car park at the station very difficult, it has to be paid via an app to download on a smartphone we did not have. An American couple on the train did it for us, and then started us on our tour of Boston. Shops and eateries near the hotel.Car parking outside the door. The premises are not new but in excellent condition, and overall they set the standard for Best Westerns, which was not beaten.Breakfast part of the deal, and great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

« Nice property, better staff »

Nice property; good location; staff extremely helpful - offering comments on area attractions, places to eat, etc. all on a voluntary basis. Very pleased with our stay. Complimentary breakfast was very good.

    « Texas Two »

We stayed at this property our last night of a 12-day trip to the Boston area. That evening Jack said, "This is my favorite hotel room of our whole trip." It was also the least expensive of our whole trip! It was a large room with two queen beds. The bathroom had a sink, but there was also a sink area in the room itself, which works really well for two staying in the room. There were also two side chairs and a table which we liked. The staff was exceptionally helpful with information on the area.

    5
« Reasonably close to most attractions »

The room was spacious and comfortable. Our room had two queen beds with two separate sink areas. It was nice to have room for both of us to get ready at the same time. It is a little bit of a walk to most of the attractions but if you can walk a couple of miles it is nice since you don't have to hunt for a pay parking spot. It was in the upper 40's when we visited so it was a brisk walk. The breakfast buffet was good and the staff very friendly.

« Wonderful in every way »

We were lucky enough to stay here for 9 nights on our recent US trip and it was a lovely place to stay. After walking non stop for 10 days in New York and Boston, we did plenty of walking here but a bit of rain meant we had an enforced rest and it was great to have such a comfortable modern room to chill out in (the in room coffee is welcome when you come in from the rain!). From the moment Kevin checked us in until Wonzel ordered our cab back to the station, we were well looked after by all the staff who take a pride in their customer service. Our room was not only comfortable, it was huge and had everything we needed. There is a great buffet breakfast constantly replenished by the attentive staff and the breakfast room, and all the rest of the hotel, is spotless. There is coffee available in the lobby and if you are very lucky warm cookies! The lobby is full of local information, and old photos of the hotel which has an interesting history itself. The grounds are beautifully kept and on a warm sunny day it must be lovely to use the pool from where there is a great view. The location of the hotel is fantastic, it's a short walk to the town, a short cab ride from the station, and there is a shopping plaza opposite the hotel with a big Rite Aid and best of all Pioppi's Liquors which is a fantastic shop. Good choice of channels and HBO on the hotel TV. Housekeeping finishes at 12 but if you put the do not disturb sign on as we did a few days they will leave clean towels and toiletries outside your room which I thought was a great idea. If you run out of anything else from the room just ask Wonzel like I did who is only too happy to help! I loved our stay and it was the perfect place for us in Plymouth.

« Wonderful for family in town for wedding. »

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for a few days when in town for a wedding. There was plenty of room at breakfast for us to all eat together. Service was excellent. Very much enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed sitting outside as a group on the benches and chairs that were provided.

    « Best Western »

My review of Best Western Plus Cold Spring, Plymouth Massachusetts. The room had a muskie smell to it. On inspection of the shower, I opened the shower and the drip tray fell on the bathroom floor. The hot water faucet handle was so loose, I had to be careful it did not fall on the floor too.

    « Good stay »

Just out of town, this motel is quiet, clean and comfortable. There is more than adequate room, facilities include fridge, microwave and coffee making machine. One star off though - no safe. Breakfast good. Complimentary room wifi good.

    « October Plymouth »

Situated on the road into Plymouth from Boston. Easy 10/15 minute walk into the centre, road not busy, or just walk down to the sea on the road opposite. Hotel was clean and good service with the usual BW breakfast. In room coffee, fridge microwave. Room we had looked a little tired, and the initial smell of the cleaner or disinfectant they had used was a little overpowering, but it soon dissipated or we got use to it! It wasn't my first choice for these days but overall it was adequate for the nights we had and it was quiet.

    5
    « I recommend it 1,000% »

It was the best stay I have ever had in Plymouth Massachusetts I am looking forward to come back again the breakfast was fantastic the coffee was fresh everyone is super Pleasant there is no word to describe anything the room are clean the front desk man was super happy and helpful it's a great location :) :) :)

« Beautiful hotel, amazing breakfast, excellent customer service »

This was a great stay... we were greeted warmly and offered an upgrade upon arrival, and we were very pleased with the suite we had. The breakfast was great... lots of choice, fresh fruit, and yogurt. Our only disppointment was that we only had one night in Plymouth to enjoy it!

    5
    « Massachusetts road trip »

What a super find this hotel was. We had a fantastic welcome, all the reception staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable, so many extras with this hotel. We had a room right at the back of the hotel with a lovely room over looking the pool and a view of the ocean. The pool was lovely and a really super spread for breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance of all the main attractions and a stonethrow from the beach.

    5
« Great service, great room, great location »

I stayed at the Best Western for two nights, while visiting an elderly friend in nearby Duxbury. Not only was it easy travel between the two locations, it was, also, an easy walk to the Plymouth waterfront (shopping, Mayflower II, Plymouth Rock, etc.) The hotel is a large, landscaped property of several buildings. The rooms are lovely & well-equipped. Fridge & microwave were included. Breakfast is available in the main building & includes various protein sources & hot foods. The staff was friendly & helpful. Hint--Unless you walk easily, ask to stay in the buildings near the road. Next trip to Plymouth, I will definitely stay here again!

    5
« Excellent Place to relax »

The Best Western is a great place to stay. It is in a convenient location with access to downtown Plymouth and the waterfront to do all your shopping. The waterfront has all kinds of great restaurants to have great food and drinks.

    « Beyond my Expectations »

Our room was far more than I had anticipated. There was a table and two chairs; a desk and desk chair; two queen size beds; a full bathroom as well as a sink and mirror outside the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and it was a treat to have the table and chairs available. The complimentary breakfast was awesome! There was everything from fresh fruit, eggs, cereals, meats, yogurt, and more pastries than I've ever seen at comparable motels. The serving dishes were never empty and the dining room staff was friendly and most helpful.

    « Long Weekend »

I have to say, I would stay here again for a short get away. The rooms were large and spacious. I had a king room. I loved the way the rooms were situated. It is near the center of Plymouth, MA literally around the corner from the beach. The front desk has a professional, personable customer service rep on duty. His name was Wonzel. He was so helpful. I wish I could have met Kevin, the Director of Sales, he is wonderful to work with. He was very flexible with me as I had a gift certificate and kept trying to use it over the summer, which the hotel was consistently sold out. NOT A BAD THING!!! It was nice...woke up Sunday morning to pouring rain, which made the day even better believe or not!!! We watched the New England Patriots put an butt-kicking on the Cleveland Browns..yep. Another one bites the dust!!!

« Our Go to Place to Stay in Plymouth. »

Wonderful staff. We were greeted like we were family. Clean rooms very comfortable beds.. Good buffet breakfast (both hot and cold items). Within walking distance of the waterfront. Would not stay anywhere else.

    5
« Great stay in Plymouth »

Very nice property in Plymouth. Close to beach area with restaurants, shops, historical sites. The hotel was great, friendly staff at the desk, helpful, area map on back of hotel grounds map. Breakfast was in a very pleasant room with windows, well supplied, plenty of seating. Rooms were upscale, and very clean. Excellent property for the money.

    4
    « Return to Plymouth »

A return visit to Plymouth resulted in a return visit to Cold Spring. Four years later we were met by the same gentleman on the desk, very friendly and luckily they had a room for the night. You usually manage to park outside your room which is convenient. We had a double Queen size room which was comfortable and clean. A breakfast is included which was enough for us too last the day.

    5
« Excellent accomodation and parking facilities »

We had 4 nights at this motel and it ticked every box. Being able to park directly outside the room was a huge plus and there are many room on the ground floor so people with children or mobility issue are going to find this really helpful. The staff at the front desk were really helpful and polite and directly opposite the reception area is a small fitness room which is very clean and well maintained. There is good air conditioning in the bedroom and the beds are huge. There is a hospitality tray in the room and a good size refrigerator. The breakfast room offers a good choice and this is in with the price of the room. Fresh fruit, juices, hot drinks, waffles yoghurts pastries, toast, 2 hot dishes. BUT. The layout of the servery and the tables in the dining area is hopeless. It needs some serious re adjusting as people wanting to get something from the servery are trying to squeeze themselves past the tables where people are sitting. It really is a poor layout but apart from that the staff do an excellent job of clearing away and making sure there is plenty of food coming out of the kitchen to top up the server. I would definitely stay there again - it's a good choice for people who are out and about every day.

    2
    « Old and tired »

For the price I feel it is expensive for a motel. Rooms are very old and tired and the fan on the bathroom sounded like a helicopter taking off. Everything didn't feel clean. Breakfast room don't bother unless you don't mind sitting on top of people in the smallest breakfast room I have ever seen Very budget but not worth the price

    3
« bed needs updating. pillows too big and hard »

The room had a mild, musty odor. Window did not lock. Bed and bedding needed updating. One side of bed had a bit of a worn well or sunken area. Also, bed had mild urine odor in spots. The pillows were so big and hard, that I was more comfortable using my jacket as a pillow. Overall the room and property was clean and well kept. Breakfast was very nice and staff was terrific. Hotels should focus on sleep needs; after all, that is why we sleep in hotels.

    4
« Pleasant stay ... would go again. »

We liked the setup of the property. It was spacious and nicely planned to blend in with the ambiance of the small town of Plymouth. The room was nice enough. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok - with good coffee and fresh fruit among other standard offerings. We were surprised how comfortable the bed was. Our only complaint was being in a room close to the street. Though the nights had less traffic, we are not used to any traffic noises and would have liked it quiet. We would stay at this property again.

    4
« Quaint and quiet but close enough to walk to attractions »

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was half of a small cottage away from the main strips of rooms. It had a nice sized fridge and microwave. The continental breakfast had something to suit everyone. Every single person on staff that we encountered went out of their way to make us feel at home. It felt like we were talking to old friends. The motel was only a few blocks from the wharf and it was an easy walk there and back. A small shopping center is directly across the street as well. Great price and super convenient!

« Great place to stay! »

Could not ask for a better place to stay while in the area. Front desk help very polite and helpful, they even gave us printed directions for a day trip! Breakfast area clean and well stocked, one morning we had to eat in the over flow area upstairs and a gentleman came up to offer refills on coffee! The room was spotless! I do believe this has been the best hotel we have stayed at on our many travels.

    5
    « A Gem »

This hotel surprised and delighted us. We usually stay at a Hilton chain hotel and our previous stay in Plymouth was too far from town to walk. This is very different from any BW we have stayed in before. We drove past at first not seeing the sign because the hotel sits next to a stately residence. When I walked in the door I was greeted by the smiling Wonzel. He was cheerful at the end of the day and the next morning when I saw him again. He is a treasure in the hospitality business. We walked to town easily through a lovely neighborhood. I will always stay here when I return to Plymouth.

    4
    « Excellent stay! »

We spent three nights at the Best Western Cold Spring in Plymouth, MA. It was a great experience! We stayed in the Pricilla Alden room which was like having our own little cottage at a hotel! It was clean and the staff was great! The prices were the best!

    5
« Fantastic hotel and staff »

The room was wonderful. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The breakfast was great. Really convenient location, very close to the waterfront and the downtown area.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

Wonderful hotel in beautiful Plymouth, MA. The hotel complex was so pretty and the room was just perfect! There was an outside pool set up on the hill which was quite pretty. The grounds were spotless as was the hotel room. Have never stayed in a hotel with such nice ammenities, such as a large bathroom counter in the bathroom and another one outside the room. Nice patio area outside the first floor rooms with tables and benches and chairs to enjoy the outdoors were there. It was just a very nice place to come back to after touring during the day. I would highly recommend this hotel.

    4
    « Perfect Plymouth location »

We stayed two nights at the BW Plus Cold Spring, and were very happy to be there. For the cost is was quite nice, and better than we expected. Reception on arrival (Sheila) was very friendly and very helpful, with good recommendations on dining, and how to get around both by car and by foot. Room was comfortable and clean and spacious. Would suggest asking for an upper room or single storey bldg if you are a light sleeper so you don't have anyone walking around above you. Lovely wooded setting and quiet area, easy access to everything in Plymouth area.

    5
    « Beautiful hotel »

This hotel is set on beautiful grounds. The pool had an ocean view and everything was clean. The staff, especially Wonzel, we're extremely friendly. Nothing seemed to be a problem for them and they were happy to help. The rooms were a good size. The free breakfast was good. It consisted of eggs, sausages, porridge, cereal, toast, waffles, pastries and yogurts. There was something for everyone. I would definitely return!

    5
« Beautiful place and great staff. »

The hotel structure was very unusual and pleasantly different. The property is well maintained and staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, clean and nicely laid out. I enjoyed walking around the hotel's well landscaped property.

    4
    « Wedding Weekend »

Stayed at the Best Western for our son's wedding weekend along with our out of town guests (24 rooms). The front desk and housekeeping staff were welcoming and helpful. The grounds were lovely and the location quiet and convenient to town. Many of our guests were not used to "motor courts" but most enjoyed their stay very much. There seems to be a wide variety of room sizes and amenities. Some large rooms with fireplaces and at least one room with only a shower. The breakfast was quite good. One guest had a problem with noise coming from a utility room but the motel was quick to offer a partial refund for the inconvenience. Would definitely recommend the Best Western for a relaxing stay.

    5
« WE KEEP GOING BACK »

We have tried every hotel in Plymouth over the years and found BW Cold Springs has the best rooms, the best complimentary breakfast, and parking that is close to the room. The waterfront is an easy walk as is downtown. We especially like the proximity to may golf courses that my wife and can enjoy playing (not too long). There are many other things to do a short distance away. We have made Plymouth an annual vacation destination as well as dropping in for a long weekend.

  • 5
    « New Decor!! »

Its always nice to come back here but this time the room decor has been updated. It looks very nice and more modern then it was. The color scheme still seems to fit well with the hotel - very tastefully done. The blockout curtains (best in the world!) are still there so you get a great nights sleep.

    5
    « Great Hotell »

Beautiful and quiet environment, with good parking. The staff were very friendly. We came very late at night, but after calling the staff they arranged with information to get to the room on our own. Breakfast was very good in a tidy area. Everything was just perfect. May be a slight smell from the floor carpeting, but not a problem. I will not hesitate to stay here again. Øyvind

    4
    « Room rather dark »

Lovely staff, lovely facilities (pool and gym), lovely breakfast, but the room we were given, although clean and comfortable was very dark and the low ceiling made it seem even more confined. Maybe we were given one of the cheaper rooms.

    5
    « Pleasant Surprise »

This was an excellent property. Set back in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the waterfront area. Beautifully maintained, nice landscape, attentive staff. Weren't sure what to expect in a busy touristy area but this place was a hidden gem. Good value as well. Breakfast buffet included and coffee and tea available all day.

    5
    « Very Pleased »

From check in to check out, this motel did not disappoint. During check in, they took the time to show us a map of the property and pointed out the locations of everything. Then they showed us a map of the town and gave us pointers on where everything was located and even suggested various restaurants. Super nice pool area that you have mostly to yourself because everyone else is in town sightseeing. Really impressed with the complimentary breakfast which had enough choices to satisfy anyone. I really liked the parking spot right outside my door which was super wide. Everyone on the staff was just great. Did I mention quiet? Really quiet and peaceful. Tip: Parking in Plymouth can be a real challenge plus expensive. The free parking lots fill up fast. The paid lots are $1.00 an hour or $10.00 a day. The wharf area is less then a 20 minute walk from the hotel. So leave your car at the hotel and walk to attractions.

    5
    « Restful Property »

The grounds of the hotel are spacious and filled with trees. Our room was clean and comfortable. The windows open to get the fresh air. The complimentary hot breakfast was great! Across the street is a Rite-Aid, Liquor Store and a Pizza/TakeOut Cafe. It is walkable to the waterfront and attractions but it is not extremely close. We chose to drive.

    5
    « Great hotel »

This hotel is very clean and comfortable. They have a breakfast included where you can make your own waffles. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. Location is near the harbor, but of a walk though drive is better. Would definitely stay here again!!

    5
    « Gracious Hospitality »

From the moment we walked into the office to the check out the experience at this motel was more than pleasant...we checked in and the clerk filled us with information about the hotel, the area, and some of the best places to dine .... The rooms were very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable .... Recommend highly!!!

    « Family holiday. »

Really glad we picked this hotel, The staff couldn't have been friendlier. The room was clean & the complimentary breakfast was very good. The pool was nice & clean. The whole setting of the hotel was calm & tranquil which was great after the bustle & noise of New York. It's just a couple of blocks to the sea front. There are a few shops opposite the hotel to pick up essentials. There's also plenty of good restaurants in walking distance

    4
    « Nice Stay, Almost a 5 »

The grounds are well-maintained, rooms are spacious, updated and clean. The staff is hard-working, courteous and friendly. Upper section of rooms nearest the pool likely have a distant view of the ocean since I could see the ocean a little from the poolside. Breakfast was nice for my family. Easy walk to the Nelson park. What kept this from being a 5...beds were too firm for both my husband and I, ran out of hot water on our last night there (appeared to be a full house) and the DirectTV went out at about 9pm our last night there. Overall, would still recommend and return.

    « Wow, What a Gem! »

We spent two nights at Best Western Plus Cold Spring on our way to Boston. What a find! The service was beyond expectation, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Wonzel at the front desk was extremely helpful as well as personable. We loved Wonzel! The free hot breakfast was plentiful and yummy. There is a nice outdoor pool. Plymouth's attractions were a short walk from the motel. This is the best Best Western I have stayed in - not your average roadside motel!

    5
    « Fantastic! »

Stayed here for a week. Cannot fault anything at all. Staff all very pleasent and polite. Wonzel on reception is a star. Breakfast is excellent enough choices and additional seating upstairs at busy times.

    « Lovely hotel »

Very friendly staff who try to help out wherever they can. The owner even gave us a lift when the shuttle bus didn't turn up. Good pool with towels provided. Walk into Plymouth very easy, only 10mins to the water front. Breakfast had a good range of food.

    5
« Great Stay at he Plymouth Best Western »

We had an excellent time at this hotel. The lobby and breakfast area were neat and tidy and had a nice overall appearance. The check-in and check-out processes were very easy and our room was cleaned every day. Thanks BW!

    « Great Place! »

This is one of the best places i have been! Property was very beautiful, staff , all of them were awesome , The room was extra clean and the morning hot breakfast buffet was also awesome! Highly recommended!

    5
    « Great Stay »

The property is absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. It has a really cozy cabin vibe to it and the staff were the best. From the moment we checked in to when we checked out, we felt so comfortable. The best service we've ever had in a hotel. The rooms were really clean and in great shape. Hot showers and mini fridges in all the rooms. The only downside is that the beds are getting to be a little on the old side. They're probably ready to be replaced. While the prices are a little steep during the summer, they are worth it. The hotel is located right on the main drag of Plymouth and you can get to any of the action by walking about a half mile - about 10 minute walk. We highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a hotel in Plymouth.

    « A Great Place to Stay »

I haven't stayed at a motel in ages, and this was a great one. It was pretty and well kept. The room was spacious, clean and had a comfortable bed. Breakfast is served down in the lobby, and if the breakfast area is full, they have outdoor seating. Would recommend.

    5
    « Perfect Stay »

We were in town for a wedding and stayed here for 3 nights. The place is great. Would definitely stay here again. I would though, request a room on the second floor next time, just a little to noisy in the morning on bottom floor. My sister stayed in one of the cottages offered and they were great too. Front desk was very accommodating. Within walking distance to harbor and dining.

    5
« Fit our needs just right »

We stayed one night here during a buddies golf trip. Considering the locale, this was a good bargain. The rooms were large and the beds were comfy and refrigerator in room. Both of the gentlemen who we dealt with at the front desk during check in and out were very courteous. The pool has not yet opened (5/15) but will soon. What's nice is the free breakfast which consisted of a Belgian waffle maker, danishes, oatmeal, greek yogurt, cereal, bagels, eggs, bacon, muffins, fruit and who knows what else I left out! Of course, juice, coffee, tea and some other drinks. I left feeling good!! Would stay again!

« For Quality and Value. One of the Best »

Kevin is mentioned often in reviews, and not without reason. He worked with us to change a 1 night stay into a 3 night. The grounds are immaculate and all the staff we spoke with were friendly and knowledgeable. We travel a lot throughout Canada and the USA and have stayed in some of the worst and many of the best. This hotel has to be in the top 10 Best. Great location to visit Plymouth and close to some very good eating places. If you read a bad review for this hotel, please ignore it. Obviously the owners provide the staff with the $ tools $ to do the job. Not something all hotels do.

« So accommodating and very nice »

Reception was so accommodating, offering 24 hr coffee/tea with cookies. They were very helpful on tourist places. Our room 48 was very comfortable and spacious. The beds were great! Housekeeping did a great job. Nice Pool (no life guard), nice grounds. Across the street from a little mall (liquor, pizza, discount variety store, exercise place, quick bite stand). This hotel serves a nice buffet off the reception area. You can sit inside or outside. I love the outside sitting. They serve eggs, cheese omelettes (small), sausage, hot waffles, yogurt, fruit salad and fruit (bananas, apples,) several types of cereal, hot cereal, different coffees, and teas. Bagels, toast, english muffins, slices bread, etc. All hot items were hot especially the coffee. You can walk to Water street (left out of hotel, right on Nelson Street, then all the way down to Water Street, where there are countless restaurants, plymouth rock, Mayflower II, stores. Or you can drive, 5 minutes and park for free or pay a dollar or two. We found housekeeping, and the cafe staff very accommodating and friendly.

« Wonderful place for holiday »

This is a very lovely place, very cosy feel at walking distance from the quaint city center of Plymouth. grounds are lush green and well kept. Rooms are spacious, clean and well furnished. A very good bed, good mattresses and pillows. Small fridge is great to put some water in, airconditioning works like a charm and the shower seems recently re-done. great sink with a lot of space for your stuff. Also lovely that every room has 2 chairs outside to sit and relax. Breakfast is good, enough to choose from and very very friendly staff everywhere! So genuinely kind and helpful. Our thanks go out to the reception and breakfast room staff. Would highly recommend staying here.

« Good value for money »

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Plymouth from the UK. This is a motel style place with good sized rooms with a fridge and microwave, the bathrooms are a good size. The staff are very welcoming and informative. There is a buffet breakfast serving hot and cold items. There is a nice outdoor pool with plenty of towels too. We really enjoyed our stay here, the room being adequate for a family of four.

« Tired travelor made it just in time! »

Best Western never disappoints, it just exceeds expectations. After 4 long arduous days sightseeing the big sign greeting us was very welcoming. Comfortable clean and courteous is their mainstay. The staff were great as always and the room was perfect. The breakfast was fulfilling and set us up for another day of adventure.

« Nice location and amenities! »

We liked the multi-level group of rooms and the landscaping. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Swimming pool is very attractive and the breakfast room was clean and just roomy enough. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Just for a one night stay but we enjoyed the partial view of Plymouth Bay and the setting. I will choose again if in Plymouth.

« Bed and breakfast feel »

The way this property is laid out, it gives the guest a feel of being at a bed and breakfast. it is tucked away from the busy city area, but only a few blocks away from the Harbor area which is filled with great places to eat. The property is very well taken care of.

    « Family Reunion, July, 2016 »

This facility is great. Set on a multi-level property, the Motel has front door parking, great breakfasts and a quiet environment for a long or short stay. the pool was located in an area to avoid noise from it annoying other residents. We were very happy with our experience and, would stay there again if in the area.

    « Historical Pleasure »

I stayed at this Best Western for 2 different occasions in May and August and both times I was please with the grounds & staff. The rooms were clean and relatively quiet. The breakfast was great, especially the waffles! Fruit was fresh!!

    « Great value »

Stayed with family just for one night unfortunately. Lovely welcome by reception staff with some great info about the surrounding area and restaurants. Rooms were perfect for the price point and the hotel offers a fitness room and lovely pool as well as convenient free parking. Hotel is maintained well and gardens also. Pretty close walk to the fantastic Plymouth centre. Overall, this hotel is much much better than the price would suggest, fully recommend a stay.

« much needed rest after sight seeing »

after all day long sight seeing tours, getting back to our best western was a much welcome relief. Boston was hot and humid and the pool was wonderful, we were able to head back out for dinner down by the ocean and enjoy the local flavor and be rested for another day. we were very pleased with the staff and service and would recommend this best western to all....

« Very clean, wonderful staff, perfect location. »

This hotel was so wonderful! The staff, Mark and Wonzell greeted us so warmly, gave us lots of advice on where to go, what to do. The rooms were so clean, rocking chairs on the balcony, patio seating, a nice breakfast that's included. Highly recommend.

    4
« Clean, quiet and a nice setting »

Although the rooms were updated they still seemed old. They were spacious and clean. My only complaint about the room was the constant on and off of the AC. I loved the layout of the motel and the breakfast was good with fresh fruit/again very clean. The workout room had cheap equipment and the one treadmill kept turning off during use. The staff was exceptional.

    5
« A little jewel near the heart of Plymouth.... »

We stayed here, expecting a run of the mill motel.......what we found was an updated, clean, delightfully comfortable place to spend some time..... The beds seemed brand new and comfortable. You could have convinced me the room was brand new and I was one of the first to stay....... The grounds are well kept. The location is great........just a short walk to the heart of Plymouth and the Mayflower II. Buffet breakfast was served. There are many good restaurants nearby for lunch or dinner......

« Comfort and convenience for downtown Plymouth MA »

We were here for a wedding but also appreciated the easy access to downtown Plymouth. Our room was comfortable though the pillows on the bed were rather too thick for comfortable sleeping! Breakfast was good though the breakfast room got rather crowded; even though there is an upstairs option, no-one seemed to want to use it!

    5
« Excellent place to stay »

Great place to stay. The swimming pool was perfect for the kids and the staff were very friendly. One of the 'nicest' best westerns I have been too and I go to many. The town itself is a nice place to stop and the hotel is close to the centre. Highly recommend

    « Excellent!! »

Room was extremely spacious for large family of 6, plenty of room for everyone. Breakfast was very good lots of choices to keep everyone happy and full! Some people enjoy a firm mattress, not me way too firm, but thats a personal choice, everything else was great!

    « Awesome surprise! »

For a best western, this place surpassed my expectations! The rooms were clean and fresh - microwave and fridge included. Every room has their individual router for better internet connection. The place in general, feels like a resort. The breakfast had a huge collection. The location of the hotel is just perfect- maybe about a mile from the harbor. Overall, an excellent place to relax and have a great vacation!!

    « Basic Hotel »

We stayed here one night, got in late and checked out early. The manager was very nice at check-in and the room was adequate for our needs. The location was excellent for visiting Plymouth Rock and The Mayflower. We did not stay long enough but the pool looked nice and we were sorry that we missed the complimentary breakfast.

If we ever visit the area again we will stay at the Best Western. Love the location and atmosphere. Within walking distance to historical landmarks. A nice quiet and safe neighborhood. The landscaping was beautiful. Breakfast was very good - hot and cold items available.

    « Surprised! »

I'm not a fan of Best Western Hotels or indeed of 2.5 hotels generally but this one surprised us with the standard of accommodation and grounds. Wonzel got us off to a good start at check in and we felt warmly welcomed. Requested a second floor room and this was not a problem. Room was nicely sized, looked like it had been updated but TV would have benefitted from HBO or similar. Grounds were landscaped and well maintained and outdoor pool was great although, again, would have benefitted by having more umbrellas. Two umbrellas for a pool area of this size is just not enough. Breakfast included, didn't fancy the burger/sausage type meat but everything else was fine. Overall, did best Best Western and 2.5 hotels proud!!

    « FANTASTIC! »

My son and I spent overnight here and really enjoyed our stay. This Best Western is set up like a small village which is quite unique. The front desk staff was very friendly gave a great orientation of what there is to see and do and also the location of the Lobster Hut Restaurant. He even offered a map of Plymouth. Outstanding service!! The room was very comfortable and spacious. I didn't have to spend any money here as I used my Best Western points. I will be back and recommend others to this hotel.

« Vacation in Plymouth Mass »

Enjoying a mini vacation to learn about our history. Best Western location was minutes away from the water by car The entire staff from start to finish was excellent The breakfast was filling to start off the day The pool was soothing after a 90 degree day I am planning on returning next year and explore more of Plymouth

« Very Nice Place To Stay »

Very clean rooms, great breakfasts and very pleasant desk clerk! He had a warm and genuine smile and had no problem with us checking in an hour or so early! We had a great time and we had 3 youngsters with us. They enjoyed the pool and the large room - plenty of room to stretch out.

    « vaca in plymouth »

We arrived without reservations in July on a weekday and had no ploblem getting a room. Clean bug free room. Price was only $20 more than a B &B. Close to all attractions.Outdoor heated pool, exercise room. Everyone we came in contact with was helpful and pleasant. Free breakfast was good..waffles,juices,oatmeal,cereal,pastry,eggs and sausage.. The sausage was good but the eggs not so good in our opinion.Would stay there again.

    « Great location »

The rooms are spacious, with a traditional feel, and are clean and well maintained. The pool was popular with families, but no noise even though our room faced towards the pool area. Parking right outside our room was a bonus as the were travelling around New England and had lots of luggage. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly and helpful. The proximity to Plymouth and Plimoth Plantation ( just a few minutes drive away) makes this an excellent choice for sightseeing

« An Overall Pleasant Stay »

We stayed there for 4-day using Plymouth as our center point visiting Cape Cod. You can reach Hyannis within 30 minutes and Falmouth about 40 for ferry. I decided against staying at Hyannis after checking their price and suitable accommodation; BW Plymouth worked out better in my trip. I can tell from my contact with hotel management this is a well-run establishment. The free breakfast was great with the usual hot and cold items. I reserved two rooms, one is King bed and the other double queen. They put their King-bed rooms in a separate building and the room size is smaller than the Double-Queen room; the price for the KB room is slightly lower. But if you have lot of stuffs to carry in a trip, I would strongly recommend you to book the double QB instead. In the first night of my visit, there is an issue with moth congregating outside my room. I reported to BW management and it was promptly taken care next day. I did not see any moth after that night. All was well with my KB room after that. The other double QB has no insect issue but my kids were bothered by noise at night due to guest walking around at night. One night there was also wild things going on next door around mid-night, so they banged on the wall to quiet them down. Other than that everything was fine with their stay there. If you don't mind their out-of-date décor in the guest rooms, I don't see any reason not to choose their comfortable double QB. Parking space appears to be sufficient and it is spacious for most car size. But if you want to do coin laundry there, you do need to know their hours is from 8AM to 8PM there. Since it takes at least two hours to complete most laundry, that means you most likely waste an entire morning if you can start at 8 with no competition. And if you want to complete before 8PM, that means you should consider different dinner hours or use take-out. That is something hotel management needs to improve by adding laundry room else where so its operation will not affect guest staying there. I ended up driving to the Mayflower laundry on Court Street 5 minutes away to start my laundry at 7.

    « Wonderful stay »

We stopped in Plymouth on the way from Boston to NYC, and we were so tired and stressed from Boston traffic when we arrived at the Best Western. But Wonzel at the front desk completely changed our attitudes! We have never had such a warm welcome when checking in to a hotel, and he took the time to mark all of the places we needed to go on a map, along with dinner recommendations. And there were free cookies! We were able to walk to the waterfront for dinner, and Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower were a very short drive away. The hotel grounds are nicely landscaped, and everything is very clean. There are different buildings, and we stayed in the one nearest the pool, which was great for our kids. The free breakfast in the morning was excellent and much better than others we have run into. There is also a small outdoor courtyard you can eat in if you don't want to sit in the breakfast room or if it is full. Although we normally stay in this type of hotel when traveling for just a night's stay, this one felt different than most - more attention to detail and more care, rather than just a mill of churning tourists in and out of rooms. I'm guessing the ownership has a lot to do with that.

    « A Fine, Welcoming Place »

This hotel has a wonderful "family" feeling about it, and everything about it seems to be a little better than it needs to be. Somebody really cares. The location, while very near the attractions of Plymouth, is just far enough away to avoid the tourist zoo. The furniture in the room has a very warm traditional feel. The staff are very welcoming and really seem to want to help you. I understand that the hotel is family-owned, and it shows. Also, it has a great swimming pool! I would highly recommend it.

    4
« Good family hotel, nice pool, good breakfast »

Stayed 1 night only in July 2016. Nice basic hotel for family stay. Both room and pool very clean. Grounds well kept and hotel rooms are spread across a hilly landscape. Parking is right outside your room so should not be an issue. If walking up/down slanted driveway to breakfast is an issue mention that when you check in. My kids loved running up and down the driveway. If you like to sleep in, avoid the rooms numbered in the 20s. These room windows catch the sun in the morning, even through the blackout curtains.

« Clean, well taken care of place that makes you feel welcome »

We would like to thank Best Western Plus Cold Spring staff for a wonderful and comfortable stay at their establishment. There is personality in this hotel and the grounds and rooms are clean and well maintained. All staff is extremely helpful, friendly and kind. Great breakfast with a well thought out menu and fresh items (and a little outdoor patio for those who enjoy the outdoors). We can't wait to return.

    « Family fun »

Great family hotel. Went with my daughter and her kids, age 6 & 9 to see Plimoth Plantation, the Mayflower etc. Nice beach and park nearby, good breakfast, very nice staff, great heated pool, enjoyed our stay

« Great breakfast and friendly staff »

The good points are the great breakfast and the nice staff. The hotel is also in a relatively good location--quick drive to Plymouth Rock and wharf area. However our room was dark and dingy and smelled very musty. If I hadn't been so exhausted and doubtful of a better one, I would have requested a room change. The motel is old and appears as such. It's really very worn and malting more than a motor lodge. A bit expensive for what you get.

    « Lovely hotel - brilliant staff! »

We loved our stay at this hotel. The location is excellent (about 5-10 minutes' walk from the centre of Plymouth), the rooms are large, well-appointed and spotlessly clean. The grounds are immaculate. Breakfast was good and although the breakfast room is small, we didn't have to wait at all even though the hotel was full. The pool was nice to sit by for a few hours at the end of the day. We had a lovely, relaxing time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. However, this hotel's X factor can be summed up in one word ? Wonzel ! All the staff were excellent (friendly, efficient and helpful) but Wonzel at the reception desk was so exuberant and enthusiastic. It was a joy to see someone so genuinely happy in their work. Seriously, Best Western, work out a way to make copies - every hotel should have a Wonzel !!

    « Just 1 night »

We are overseas visitors from the UK. We arrived mid afternoon and we're welcomed warmly, when we got to our room my Husband was thrilled to see a Fathers day card and gifts, which our kids back home had arranged and paid for by phone, and the hotel staff had kindly organised. We didn't make use of the hotel amenities as we were only staying one night, but the room was comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was great! Thank you, We will recommend.

« Nice, Comfortable and Clean »

I travel to Plymouth regularly for work. I arrived late and saw the hotel office was closed. My first thought was, "this is what I get for not sticking with the HIlton"; however, they had me all taken care of. An envelope on the inside door with my name. Inside all the instructions. It was well handled. My room had a private entrance and was nicer than I expected. First, it was large and had plenty of space; Second, it had windows on the front and back allowing for ample light; Third, it was clean and comfortable with a very nice updated bathroom. The following morning I went to the desk to do my formal check-in and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was fine, as you'd expect from any chain. The only reason I gave four stars was due to parking. I had no where to park except at the bottom of the hill in the main parking which is closer to the office. I liked that my room was up there and away from everything, but it wasn't a pleasant walk late at night. Otherwise, I'll definitely be back. It is in walking distance to the waterfront.

    4
    « Quiet & Clean »

This hotel is located not far from most of the activities in town. We walked to just about everywhere we needed to go - restaurants, Mayflower II and Pilgrim Hall Museum, etc.. The guest rooms were renovated and clean. The breakfast room was a little small, but there were plenty of food to choose.

    5
    « Best Stay Ever! »

What a wonderful place to stay! The grounds are beautiful, the room was clean and perfect for what we needed. I loved sitting on the porch in front of my room having a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The staff at the hotel are so friendly and helpful. The only thing wrong with our trip was that we couldn't stay a few days longer! Cheesy, I know, but it's the truth. If I'm ever in Plymouth again, this is the only place I'll stay and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

    4
    « Good service , average rooms »

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. A good base for Cape Cod. Cleanliness is not enough, rooms a bit outdated. The hotel is scattered in several buildings of short stature. Separate dining building. Excellent Service, quiet sleep, good location for travelers with a car. Not enough privacy.

« Excellent hotel but too expensive »

Nothing to complain about with this hotel but thought $215/night for a Best Western Plus was a bit steep, even if it was a weekend stay. The room was large and clean. The pool was very nice. We don't usually have maid service but they dropped off a basket of towels and toiletries. My wife liked this.

    « Good night's rest »

I booked a suite since we are a family of 4. My room was great. I wish I was staying longer than overnight cause the location is close to everything. It is walking distance to the waterfront and some local shopping. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. My room was clean and worth the price. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others.

« Fantastic hotel, excellent service. »

Stayed here for just one night due to time. If I would have known this hotel was this good, I would have tried to change our travel plans. First off, this is not like any other hotel we've been to. The rooms are sectioned off into several locations on the property so there is a lot more privacy. From the check in to checking out, the staff was the friendliest and most helpful we have dealt with in a long time. The room was very comfortable with all the needed things for our stay. The breakfast was better than most hotels and very fresh. Next time we are in this part of the country, we will look no further for a place to stay, this will definitely be our first choice.

« Best experience BY FAR! »

Immediately greeted by Wonzel upon arrival. Our room was ready sooner than we expected and we could not have been any happier. It looked exactly like it did in the pictures, and to top it off it was "hospital clean" (to our standards!) The furnishings were modern and thought was put into the decor. I can't say enough about how comfortable the bed was! All the little things always make a big difference. The area was quiet and close to downtown. The continental breakfast was better than I've ever seen. Complete with make your own waffles, fresh fruit, sausage and eggs, bread, yogurt, coffee and cereal. The workout room was clean and modern as well. We're already planning on returning in August!

    « Home from home »

Very friendly staff who could not do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable, we stayed in a queen size room which was a good size and cleaned daily to a high standard. The buffet breakfast had plenty of selection including several hot items as well. The hotel was well situated about a 10 mins walk to the harbour, would definitely recommend a visit to Plymouth plantation.

« Family Friendly home away from home »

We have 3 children under 5 and this was our first family vacation, brought about by my brother's wedding. The staff were able to accommodate 2 cribs in our suite and did an excellent job of cleaning up after we left the room a disaster every morning. Everyone was pleasant and friendly. The hotel has a shallow pool that the kids loved and is convenient to a great park with a playground, the beach, and downtown. Thanks for making what could have been a very stressful trip more relaxing.

« Very Nice Place to Stay »

My sister and I were traveling down the East Coast on a history trip and wanted to spend one day in Plymouth, MA. We enjoy walking about the towns that we visit, so I reserved one night here because it was located in the town of Plymouth. This place is located on a side street in a residential area. It is beautifully laid out and landscaped and charming. Check in was quick and the staff was very, very nice and extremely friendly. I had reserved a suite with two queen beds. We were directly across from the office area and a private home on the property. Parking was easy and walking into town was wonderful. The area felt very safe even walking back to our room after dark. The suite itself was truly wonderful. It was very, very clean and decorated simply but very modern. Our beds were comfortable and made up perfectly. A large dresser and flat screen television was opposite the beds. The rugs were spotless. The bathroom had a nice vanity, tub/shower, a very powerful fan, and was spacious. Also, very clean. Outside of the bathroom was another sink and vanity, a large mirror and a coffee maker, next to that was a nice closet for coats. We also had another very large room with a sofa, television and a full desk. A wonderful place for kids to keep their belongings and watch television. The breakfast the next day was very nice, hot and cold foods. The room was comfortable with plenty of places to sit. The staff was very helpful and courteous during breakfast. Overall, I was highly impressed with this Best Western.

Avoid the rooms near the road if you want to get any sleep. Very noisy traffic and apartment building next door wasn't very quiet either. Nice enough staff, and continental breakfast is nice because you can eat what you like and avoid what you don't.

« Great old style hotel. »

My wife and I stay here right before the busy season last, planned to return but it hasn't happened YET. The room were a little dated but large and clean with a nice comfy bed. The room also had everything you could need, LCD TV, Coffee maker, Microwave, Fridge, Hairdryer, Desk, Internet, etc. The outdoor pool and pool area are awesome, very large with plenty of seating. The location is great also just a few minute walk to downtown Plymouth, the ferry to P-town, and the best beach in the area. They also have and excellent free breakfast with indoor and outdoor seating, you won't need to eat again until dinner! We hope to get back here again some, this time in mid summer.

« Friendly, Clean and Quiet »

We rented a room for a week while my husband had business in the area. I tagged along to check out Plymouth and Cape Cod. When we arrived, we were greeted by Wonzel, who spent a lot of time helping us understand local attractions, fun things to do, what was open, what wasn't, and great places to eat. We took some of his recommendations and they were fantastic. Every time we saw him during the visit, he had a sunny smile, a warm greeting and always seemed genuinely interested in making our trip and stay happy. Our room was in the carriage house. It was spacious, comfortable, clean and well-appointed. Whenever we used something (coffee, makeup wipes), it was replaced with more of the same item. (For example, they left us four coffee packs after my husband drank both of the original caffeinated coffees.) The pillows were fantastic. The mattress was firm and comfy. It was quiet and dark and we slept great. We went to bed very early a few nights because of my husband's work the next day, and I didn't hear a peep even with the early bedtime. The continental breakfast has a good mix of hot and cold items. (For example, meat, eggs, bread, pastries, yogurt, waffles.) Food was refreshed regularly, there was ample seating room and everything was fresh and delicious. The ladies who worked the breakfast room were kind and efficient. It's only a short walk to the waterfront. Straight down the road across from the hotel is a nice park with access to the bay, which offers nice places to walk, places to sit and enjoy the view and a park for kids to play. It's only a bit farther to waterfront restaurants and whatnot. My husband asked me to mention the cookies. They have Otis Spunkmeyer cookies out at the front desk and they're delicious. I originally chose this hotel because we've had good experiences at Best Westerns and because it was inexpensive and near where my husband had to work. Now, though, I'll definitely stay again when I want to roam around Cape Cod or Plymouth.

« A touch of History right outside your door »

This was my first time in Plymouth MA and it was a wonderful experience. The Best Western had everything I needed to enjoy my stay in such a historical place and all within walking distance. Can't beat that!!

    « Great location! »

Excellent location in the heart of Plymouth, close to all the major attractions! Every employee had a smile and "hello" each time you saw them! The breakfast buffet gets an A++++ - the best buffet we've had with fresh fruit and hot eggs and sausage from a hotel! However, our room #7 was in the older part of the property, it smelled extremely musty, even with the door open! The bathroom door was not an open and close kind of door, it was the kind you pull out of the wall - not much privacy there! And for whatever reason on the last day the cleaning people took our shampoo & condition from the shower and left us with nothing to bathe/wash our hair with the next morning!!!!

« Good location. A very nice place to stay. »

We booked this place based on the reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. The location is not on the water, but is just a few streets up and very convenient. The fellow who checked us in was very helpful in helping us choose a spot to eat our dinner and provided a large map of the downtown area. This is a large motel with 2 separate entrances off the street and built on several different levels of the property. The room was very nice. The bed/pillows were wonderful! The heat was quiet and it is on a quiet street. We got a great night's sleep which we much appreciated since this was our first night after traveling all day and we were beat. The bathroom was completely updated with a new shower and basin area - really everything in there. The breakfast was nice. It was served in an area just off the reception area and had a good selection of foods. We were surprised to see real dishes instead of paper. If we make it back again next year, we will definitely plan on staying here, and would recommend it to anyone traveling there.

    « Did Not Listen »

I called the afternoon of our reservation about 1:00 and said we would be checking in late. I spoke with desk staff and explained our need for a quiet room and were told "No problem." When we checked in I again mentioned our need for quiet room and were given our keys. The room was quiet until after we were nicely settled in bed when people began clomping up the stairs and talking loudly. This noise was intermittent, but went on much of the night. When I spoke with the person at the front desk upon check-out they said "Sorry, we can put you on a list so you will always be upstairs next time. That is the only place we can be sure is quiet." The hotel complex is huge and I felt like we had clearly stated our need for quiet, and no one cared or even listened. We have family in Plymouth, and we visit often, but we will NOT be staying here again.

    « functional motel »

This was a good stopping place after walking around Plymouth Plantation most of the day. And for us who have been traveling for more than a week, we really appreciated the guest laundry facilities. The queen-size beds were very comfortable.

« Did not honor reservation beginning on Friday night last October 2015 »

The room was nice and clean and the breakfast was an added bonus. However, the Friday night experience was horrible. Before this trip, I don't know how many times I called and verified my transaction. However, since we were traveling from L.A. to Boston and had one stopover in Chicago, we had to rent a car at 1:00 a.m. early on Friday allowing us to arrive at the motel at 3:00 a.m. I was told a key would be waiting for us in the lobby. However, an employee showed up and said we would have to pay for an extra day even though it was officially Saturday. We had Friday, Saturday & Monday reservations. We refused to do this, so went all over Plymouth looking for a room to sleep in and didn't get one until 5:00 a.m. We had to pay extra for the few hours we were there. Also, we went back to the Best Western @11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Needless to say, we were totally exhausted by this whole experience and we had to attend a wedding that same day.

    « Good value »

Stayed in Plymouth Ma. For 2 nights. Hotel was just right. Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean if a bit dated. There is a small fitness room. Breakfast was fine. Just right for a short stay. Parking right outside the room. Not too far from the main street and some great restaurants.

    5
    « A great place to stay »

Staff is professional and courteous. Great location near downtown. Quiet and comfortable. I won't stay anywhere else when I am in this area. Fitness center is small but convenient. Great restaurants nearby.

« Got back to my Plymouth roots, excellent location »

I stayed here when I was in Plymouth last year in October. The room was great and this hotel is located very close to downtown Plymouth. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. Loved everything about my stay at your hotel. I am coming back to the Northeast next month and I have at night that i will be spending at your hotel again. Keep up the great work!

    5
« Warm welcoming staff, great bed »

I would recommend this for clean rooms, great bed for the best nights sleep and warm welcoming staff. The location was close to restaurants and other activities. parking spaces were oversize, making it easy to load and unload luggage.

« The best Best Western we have ever stayed at! »

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend, while we were moving my mother-in-law. After driving by the hotel more than once and seeing their ads in my mil's churchs bulletin, we said lets give it a try. Kevin welcomed us with open arms, enrolled us in the best western rewards program, which is I am glad about, with all the traveling we do. Our room number 30 looked like it was recently remodeled, very comfortable and a great view. Thanks again to everyone, you were all great hosts. We will return.

    « Stay here! »

Staff are welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is delicious with the added benefit of trays to allow you to take it back to your room. I loved the room and plan on going back in the summer months. I rented a room with two queen beds while relatives rented the king I recommended either both are clean and well cared for.

« Okay but room was dark, too cluttered and tatty in places »

Stayed for one night in March 2016 and having stayed in other Best Western hotels on this trip was very disappointed with this one. The outside was good - easy to find and it was clean and tidy. However, our room (No 9) was an okay size but had too much furniture in which made it seem small as there was limited space to open two suitcases out (as no point in unpacking for an overnight stay). The room was quite gloomy due to dark paint on walls and large furniture and dark (stained) carpet. The paintwork was also tatty in places. Considering the price paid for the room (particularly compared to other similar hotels stayed in) this was disappointing.

    « Good for a motel »

Thought we were staying at a hotel, but this turned out to be a motel. We were a bit surprised because snow was forecast for the night and breakfast was served in another building a bit of a walk away from our unit. We had to drive there as I am in a boot cast while I recover from ankle surgery. There was no way to request consideration for mobility issues online, also. Luckily, we were booked into a first floor unit. Rooms were comfortable and clean, but noise from above was a bit of a problem as the people staying over us played music through much of the night. The sound of their footsteps also seemed to indicate a lack of sound barrier in our ceiling. The included breakfast was okay, but not hotel standard.

    « Treated Like Royalty »

After a long trip from Bar Harbor, ME in severe rain and horrific and terrifying traffic in and around Boston, I arrived at Best Western Plus Cold Spring at around 7 p.m. I checked in and the gentleman at the desk (I didn't catch his name) was so welcoming and friendly. He told me I'd be staying in the Priscilla Alden Suite--which turned out to be it's own building! The downside: the porch light was out, but it wasn't so dark I couldn't see and it was right along a main road, so if you're a light sleeper it may be an issue. The positives: This was an amazing room! It had a living room with pull-out couch, a flat screen tv above an electric fire place, a mini refrigerator and a microwave that then led into the bedroom, which had a flat screen tv above another electric fireplace, large closet, full-size desk and a huge bed with gorgeous linens. The bathroom was phenomenal--whirlpool tub, separate shower, fully lighted vanity and it was very spacious--pristinely clean too. Although I only stayed one night in this hotel, it was an amazing stay. It was accommodating and centrally located to everything in Plymouth and the staff was wonderful. The continental breakfast was good--I'm happy with coffee and a bagel, so I'm not a good reviewer of the breakfasts. Check out was simple and again everyone was so friendly. I learned later that my room the Priscilla Alden Suite was named after the wife of one of the original Mayflower passengers.

    « Motel Recommendation »

My wife and I spent one night here when visiting the local attractions. We were very pleased with the accommodations. The room was quiet and clean. The staff was most pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was a nice feature. We did not use other amenities. We departed refreshed.

« Last stop on a Tour of New England »

We stayed 2 nights here in October 2015 at the end of our New England holiday. I was a bit concerned about traffic noise as our triple room was near the road outside, however once the door was closed it was ok. Breakfast was a relaxed affair near the reception area & was more than adequate. This Best Western is in a good spot as you can head down a side street on foot to the coast & then walk into town, a pleasant walk albeit we used the car at night. Plymouth gets very busy with tourists so we were pleased we had picked a place slightly out of town. Another advantage of this hotel is the ease of parking on site, in our case directly outside our room. We found this very convenient.

« Clean, well cared for and very pleasant »

We stayed for one night with 4 kids in a suite. Staff was very pleasant and the hotel and grounds were well cared for. Room was tidy and in good condition. Breakfast was great. I would definitely stay here again. Some road noise so I would recommend asking for a room away from the main road.

    « Nice Stay »

Room was clean, a little musty being so close to ocean but that was expected. Breakfast was very good, better than expected. staff was extremely helpful. Not within walking distance to Mayflower, or the rock but very close and convenient to attractions. Wifi was sketchy, but did not need it for long so that was OK. We were on a corner room first floor by the pool and could hear everyone walking on the steps by the room and the above us. The grounds were very nice.

« Great place to stay in Plymouth area »

Very attractive property, comfortable and very clean room and grounds. The breakfast room is also very clean and the food is fresh and tasty, typical breakfast. The breakfast room ladies are always attentive and friendly, as are the cleaning staff and desk people. Love the location for being close to everything in the area but far enough out to have peace and easy coming and going.

« Quiet, convenient, well-equipped and very clean »

We were pleasantly surprised by the Best Western Cold Spring. The welcome was warm and friendly and the bedroom and bathroom were immaculately clean. All the fixtures and fittings worked perfectly and, having selected a room at the back of the complex, we were delighted to find that it was very quiet at night. Breakfast was unexceptional, but quality-wise and quantity-wise it was fine. The hotel is very convenient for the centre of Plymouth and is excellent value for money.

    « A return to comfort. »

After a three year absence of coming to Plymouth because my family moved, I returned to staying at the Cold Spring recently and it is just as top notch now as it was when I stayed more frequently from 2009 to 2012. The service is impeccable. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the amenities are superior. Compared to staying in other local hotels/motels, the rates are very reasonable. I would strongly recommend this motel.

« Best Western Plus - Plymouth, MA »

Excellent value for the money. Clean, easy access, Excellent service. I do not normally stay at Best Western's but i will use them in the future. My main reason for staying at this hotel was because i had my family of 6 people and needed a room large enough for us all. Happy that we chose this hotel for the two nights we stayed while we toured the area.

    « very nice stay. »

Spent a relaxing weekend in a very clean, comfortable room. The bathroom had new fixtures and was very spacious. Linens were so soft and bed very comfortable. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Convenient to downtown & waterfront- we are not walkers, but it was an easy and scenic drive. We stay at many Best Western Hotels, this was a 3 star and definitely deserved the rating. The breakfast sounded enticing- but 10am is too early for us to get up on an r&r weekend!

    « Really nice stay! »

I had to be well South of Boston for business, and a friend recommended this property. Check-in was quick with a very friendly front desk staff. My room was spotless, and the bed oh so comfortable. I was especially impressed by the breakfast room - large and sunny - and its offerings. Everything from fresh fruit and yogurt to bacon and eggs, a waffle press, and countless breads, muffins, and bagels...all included in the rate. Not to mention that a very nice woman kept sweeping the room, picking up after anyone who was messy. Highly recommend.

    « Such a nice place »

Just a bit away from the harbor this is a nice place to stay. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious, staff is helpful and there is a brook running behind the hotel. You can look down on it from the second floor.

    « Great Place »

Great place to explore this part of New England. Plymouth has plenty to offer as does the surrounding countryside. The hotel is ideally placed to make the best of both.It is pretty, functional with great staff. No flaws during our stay here.

« Really is a GREAT place to stay! »

We only stayed one night in this hotel, but would have gladly stayed more. The room was spacious & very clean & the staff was very helpful & courteous. Sadly, we had to leave before breakfast was served, on the advice of the office staff (we had a fairly early flight departure from Boston). I can't remember the gentleman's name (he had a son who lves in Round Rock, Tx), but he gave us great advice on when to leave & how to move over & gain access to the HOV lane on the way to the airport. So helpful - we made our flight without too much stress in all that crazy traffic! Would definitely stay here again & recommend it for any traveler.Be sure to take the short walk from the hotel to the "Monument to the Forefathers". I somehow never saw this in any ads or reviews about Plymouth, but saw the sign very near the hotel & was amazed at the size & detail of this beautiful monument.

    « Great Experience »

I stayed for the weekend with my girlfriend for a wedding. The bed was really comfortable as well as the decor in the room. Great breakfast and very nice staff. The receptionist gave us a map of the most visited places in the area and suggested hangout spots. This was very helpful as it was our first time in the area.

« Conveniently Located, Beautiful Grounds, Accommodating Staff »

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 5 days. Our trip was planned around the famous New England Fall foliage. There are several different types of rooms available and ours, room 22, was in a separate little building (that looked like a house) that had 2 rooms on one side and another 2 rooms on the other. The room was only steps from the parking lot. The room itself was comfortable and clean. There is a big screen TV and free high speed WIFI available. As our flight didn't arrive until after normal hours when the office was closed, Sheila, the lady my wife set our reservation up with, had an envelope with our key available at the front door for us when we arrived. They had a slip of paper in the envelope with the WIFI log on information which was a thoughtful touch since there would have been nobody to ask for it until the next day. The grounds are just beautiful and very well manicured. Being Fall in New England, the vivid colors were breathtaking to look at. There is a fairly well stocked complimentary breakfast provided every morning with eggs, sausage, waffles, cereals, yogurt, muffins and fruit, etc. We really enjoyed our breakfasts every morning. Unlike some places we've been to, everything was well stocked right up until their closing time at 10 am. Of special note is staff member named Wonzel. He works the front desk/check-in area. What a wonderful man. Very happy, very helpful and very accommodating. Just a real decent guy and a joy to talk to and be around. This hotel is a short walking distance from all the things you'll want to see and do in the Plymouth harbor area. Excellent restaurants, quaint little shops and a number of museums, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this hotel again if I ever return to this area. It was a very pleasant experience.

    « Nice Stay »

Stayed at the Best Western Plus Cold Spring in Plymouth MA for an event I had to attend in the area. The hotel was nice and quaint. We arrived 3 hrs prior to the check-in time and our room was not ready so we went out for a bite to eat and within 30 min I received a call that our room was ready. Once we finished eating we headed back and they allowed us to check in ahead of the check in time (some hotels I have been to do not allow us to check in prior to the set check in time but this place was great and didn't give us any trouble). The location was great - close to lots of restaurants and shopping and tourist attractions. It was also easy to find. The lobby is small but sufficient and the front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is provided in the area slightly behind the lobby which is also a small room but contained quite a bit of seating. The breakfast was your typical "American" breakfast but it was enough to satisfy your palette. They had juices, teas, coffee along with a variety of breads and cereals, English muffins, mini bagels, a few pastries, sausage, eggs, yogurt and a waffle maker for you to prepare your own waffles. The rooms were spacious and well kept. Everything was clean and in working order. This place is great if you're looking for a no hassle hotel for one night or a few nights.

    « Disappointment assuaged »

We had booked for 5 nights but were so disappointed with the first room we were allocated that we almost moved hotels. When we booked we had got the impression that this WAS a hotel and not a motel. The room we were given initially (28 I believe) was dark, cold and had a 'weird' and rather noxious smell. We asked to be moved but were told there were no other rooms available. However they did say that we could be moved the following day to a deluxe room which we accepted. After a poor nights sleep (due to smell and cold) we were happy to accept the deluxe room as it was SO much nicer and we enjoyed the rest of our stay. No reason was given to the smell in the room but we were glad we had not unpacked our clothes as I had to wash my pjs the next day as the smell had permeated in to them. Although the breakfast room is small, the breakfast was excellent (probably the best (included0 we had on our 3 weeks 'Fall' trip. Everything was readily 'topped up' by the hard-working ladies and on the whole we found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. The pool looked lovely and I possibly would have swum even though it was October, as the weather was so good, but it wasn't being cleaned and by the time we left all the chairs had been removed and the area was locked I am sure it is beautiful in the summer and a great plus point. If you go, (and yes I would recommend it now) make sure you book the deluxe room - it is not very clear on the website what the difference is - but from our experience these rooms are much better and at little, if any, extra cost.

« Just As Good the Second Time »

This is a great hotel. It was just as good this time as last. The rooms are very spacious and have all the amenities - coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, free wi-fi. We had a room with two queen-sized beds, table and chairs and plenty of room to spread out. Breakfast was included and had omelets or scrambled eggs with trimmings, oatmeal, waffles, assorted pastries, cereal, fruit, etc. All of the above is great, but the staff at the desk were just wonderful. They were knowledgeable about the area, warm and friendly. Mark and Wenzel had great senses of humor and made our stay that much better.

« Decent stay for the area »

We were visiting the nearby Edaville/Thomasland amusement park (20 mins away) and we usually stay at one of the Best Western hotels and this one fit the bill. Loved how close the hotel was to the historic Plymouth town. The hotel was kept well and the breakfast was very good. My only complaint (and my own fault) that I had heavy luggages and didn't realize that we had to go to our room from the outside but going up stairs as there were no elevators. The stairway steps were narrow and I could see some safety concerns walking up these stairways. Other than that, my family had a pleasant stay.

    4
    « OK »

We stayed here for a couple of nights and it was OK. The rooms are a decent size, set a little way back off the road and it's only a short walk to the seafront. It is a little way from downtown though, about a 15-20min walk to the main areas. There was sausages and eggs for the breakfast, but they didn't look great, so we stuck to freshly-made waffles, bagels and coffee. Not bad, but nothing outstanding.

« not your typical BW »

I was staying in B&B's across new England and was having trouble finding one to stay in in the Plymouth, MA area. One of the places recommended this hotel and said it was locally owned and operated. I was very happy with the accommodations. The place was clean and the breakfast was better than a typical free hotel breakfast. The only thing that was a little annoying was their cancellation party required cancelling 3 days before, and I feel that is a very long time. We enjoyed our stay, however, and didn't need to cancel.

« Gracious and comfortable hotel »

This hotel consists of several building spread over a sizable and well-landscaped campus in a quiet area of this charming old New England harbor town. Our room was large and comfortable -- two beds with lots of room to move around. Round table with two chairs plus good size desk and chair. Cabinet with drawers and large flatscreen TV on top. Small refrigerator and microwave. Two places for open luggage. All without crowding. There is one sink in the room and another sink with very large countertop in huge bathroom. Room very clean. Complimentary breakfast includes a couple of hot entrees and was fine. Very friendly staff. This property is closed during the winter.

This motel is one of the nicest all around places to stay in Plymouth. Very convenient to harbor and all cites and restaurants. It is immaculate! Has all the amenities and conveniences in the room you could want. Comfortable beds and nice linens. Outside is nicely landscaped with benches and rockers. Hot and cold breakfast served daily. The front desk people are very knowledgeable and helpful. We will be going back there for sure.

    « Disappointed »

We booked this hotel based on tripadvisor ratings and were excited to pull into what looked like an attractive complex with modern, motel style accommodation Our welcome from Wonzel on reception was warm and friendly with great recommendations for places to eat. However when entering our allocated room (12) all of this was overtaken by the smell of damp we were met with. This block of rooms turned out to be the originals from when the motel was built. As the hotel was busy our request to move could not be accommodated and we spent our last 2 nights in the USA in a room that we did not want to go back to. These older rooms really need to be refurbished to ensure the customer experience on arrival extends to the whole stay.

Had a room for 4 nights, room was big and a big bed, the room was kept clean each day, everything worked great. Breakfast was standard but there was plenty of foods. The hotel was well positioned for us, as just over the road was a nice little take away diner, seafront was not far same as the main street, would be happy to go back. Only pick up point, they have only 1 4 slice toaster to cater for a full breakfast room

We arrived intending to stay one night and stayed for four. The hotel is clean and well appointed and is within walking distance of restaurants and the town. It is a short drive to The Plymouth Plantation and an hour on the train to Boston. We couldn't have asked for more from this hotel other than more than one toaster at breakfast and a bigger breakfast room.
