    « Weekend stay »

Everything was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay. Room was clean. Breakfast was really good. They hold it in a really big room off to itself. Not the traditional place at the entrance. More of a dining experience than a lobby.

    4
    « Close to Everything »

Close to all attractions, eating and views. Our only draw back was the breakfast area not large enough if the hotel is booked. They didn't rotate food every other day as other locations. Food was so so

    « Fall vacation »

Excellent location in Pigeon Forge. There was friendly staff on xheck-in and check-out. We had a very clean room. Breakfast area was located in center of hotel, clean and uncrowded. Food was decent for complimentary breakfast.

    « nasty »

rooms was very dirty, hair in tub, mirrors were nasty and dirt on floor. next day housekeeping didnt even put pillors back on bed and left sheets hanging on the floor on one side and tucked under on the other. ice bucket had no bag for the ice.

« Recent return visit to Pigeon Forge »

This Hotel has become a second home as I always stay here when I am in the area. The location is the main reason as it is close to many shows & not far from the trolley stop to neighbouring towns. The staff are always polite & friendly and I enjoy the conversation. The room is large & spacious with a comfy bed ,microwave,& large flat screen TV amongst some of the amenities. The breakfast is delicious and you have a choice of Waffles, biscuits, gravy scrambled egg, sausage patty, cereal & fruit along with coffee & juices ,although the room can become very congested at busy times. So early or late is best. There are swimming pools but I have not tried these. All in all a very nice hotel.

    « Location excellent! »

Very nice Hotel right around the corner from Dollywood and a great midway point to Gatlinburg and Sevierville. Enjoyed the indoor pool and continental Breakfast. Clean rooms and friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay!

« Very good mini family vacation »

The only issue I had was that the beds aren't very comfortable.. Everything else was very good. Very good room for the price. Perfect location, and very friendly staff. If your not sure, stay. Worth the money.

« Great Values and Views »

First time we traveled through Great Smokies and Pigeon Forge. Glad we did coming from South Carolina toward Asheville and taking the Skyline Drive to cross over the middle of the National Park to Pigeon Forge. Used the free PC to access Internet before going for a late evening relaxing time in the indoor pool and hot tub. Got an early start at breakfast with help from the friendly staff. As we finished many other guests filled the restaurant area. Enjoyed conversation with several of them before getting amazing views of the Smokies from the Clingman's Dome observation tower and overlooks along the way. Hope to return again.

    « Excellent »

The check=in staff was efficient, the rooms were exceptionally clean and the housekeeping staff quick to respond to requests! The location was great, right next door to the Dixie Stampede with many local restaurants within walking distance. The BW Plaza Inn was well maintained and very prettily landscaped.

« Nice clean, friendly hotel »

We chose this place to stay for a quick family getaway. We were very pleased with the clean rooms, friendly staff, good continental breakfast and accessibility to Dollywood and other attractions. would definitely stay again. Good value for price.

« Great place if you got the money »

My room was a suite inside the indoor pool room. Very spacious, full kitchen (range, oven, microwave, dishwasher, mini fridge) 2 queen beds, a fold out couch, 2 comfy chairs, flat screen TV with HBO and a fireplace. The bathroom had a hot tub / bath tub that was huge. I am 6'4" and I could lay down, stretched out with just my head above the water with plenty of room for at least one other person beside me. My only issue was the price. I think the $200.00 per night is outrageous but I had no other choice.

    « Grandson's first Smokey Mountain trip. »

Great experience. My grandson loved the indoor pool and hot tub. Is in a great location walking distance to Dixie Stampede. The rooms were.clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Will stay there again.

    « Nice big room »

We booked a king Jacuzzi with a fireplace. Room was huge, mattress was good, not great but good. Had a good night's sleep in it. Staff was helpful and friendly. it's right on the strip, but not bad (there on a Thursday night).

    « Beautiful Property »

As a Dollywood season pass holder I frequent the Pigeon Forge area often. I have stayed here for a quick nights rest in the past but never had a chance to enjoy the property. Was not disappointed. This is a great hotel and although an older property, it is in the process of a remodel. At least a fresh coat of paint. The front desk staff was professional and made sure all my needs were met. I was checked into a room has had been smoked in and when I made the front desk aware of the problem, they immediately apologized and switched my room. We ended up staying in 3 different room types. All were clean, ample room , and soft mattresses. 2 Queen:standard - room with parking lot view, exterior entry. 2 Queen: mountain view- just like the standard but interior entry, on the top floor with a balcony looking south towards Mt. Leconte. 2 Queen: poolside- larger room that opens up to the indoor pool area. Has fireplace. They do leave the waterfall on all night, I found it quite calming. This was my personal favorite. The halls and elevators could use a little updating but like I said earlier , they are renovating. Breakfast area was nice with a hot continental menu. They had fruit topping and powdered sugar for the waffles.. yum! The grounds were nicely kept and no trash was noticed. There are two outdoor pools but we didn't get to experience them due to the season. I did notice one of the pools had a gazebo with fireplace and will definitely return to try it out. The hotel is located on the southern edge of Pigeon Forge. Dixie Stampede is a short walk and Dollywood is accessible without fighting traffic on the strip. There is also a trolley stop in front of the hotel. I definitely give this hotel 5 stars all around.

    « Weekend Getaway »

We come to Pigeon Forge every year for our anniversary. I enjoy the rooms around the indoor pool the best....The breakfast is very good and my wife and I ate there every morning...We will be back next year....

« Great value for money and a good base for Smokies »

We stayed for 3 nights in a king room with spa bath on 3rd floor. The room was very spacious, clean, modern, included fridge, microwave, coffee maker and even had a fireplace which made it feel very cozy. The fireplace warmed the room quickly on these cold November mornings and evenings. The bath tub with jacuzzi was ok, but to get a proper whirlpool experience, we went to the indoor pool that had it's own jacuzzi. After a long hiking day it was very relaxing. Breakfast was included in the price and they had a good selection, including hot food (eggs, pancakes, beef patties and "biscuits" with gravy). It got very crowded on Saturday morning, other days were fine. Pigeon Forge is just a 15 minute drive away from Gatlinburg so it is still a good base for Smokies. We hiked in Smokies every day. If you are not a hiker, there were many attractions in Pigeon Forge too.

    4
    « Great Location »

This hotel is a great location. Easy to access from lots of local attractions. Our room was ok. The bathroom was a little cramped even for our "average" size. We did skip the breakfast on site, since it was crazy busy with the tour bus groups getting ready to leave.

    5
« Nice hotel for the price »

Upon signing in we felt the place was nice. We had a downstairs balcony room. It was clean and spacious. Staff was very helpful, breakfast was simple but good. We would stay right here again but would liked to have been closer to Sevierville as it was closer to the restaurants and shopping that we like. There are restaurants and shopping in the hotel location.

    4
    « we will return »

great view ,,we stayed on the 5th floor and had a great view of the mountains ,,, we will be back ,,clean room ,good bed and quiet,, large balcony and also had a small frig. Breakfast was very good and quick too

  • 1
« Warning, this location is not meant for normal sized people! »

Bathroom - extremely small with a dropped ceiling? MOLD MOLD MOLD! no exhaust fan. The toilet - seriously undersized, like something that would be found in a camper or RV. We had to dangle our legs in the bathtub to use it. furniture - old and worn out. This location was built in 1966. I doubt any upgrades were made since then.

    4
    « Will return »

Have stayed there before, and returned for the clean rooms, extra comfy bed, quiet atmosphere, convenient location and better than average breakfast. I did have to pay $10/night more for a balcony with a mountain view; but, the price was still reasonable.

    4
    « Great 5th floor mountain view »

Went to smokies to enjoy the fall foliage and the view from our 5th floor room can't be beat. Nice large balcony rooms with frig and microwave. Good breakfast but very crowded but met some nice people there. Indoor pool very relaxing and also had 2 outdoor pools. The negative was lack of information when checking in such as where ice machines are(not on our floor) wifi code pool hours, etc. would stay here again and good price directly through Best Western

    4
« Pigeon Forge October visit during their fall festival. Everything was decorated so pretty. »

Best Western, Plaza Inn was a nice & clean place to stay. Breakfast was better than most & lots of choices to eat. Was very good. Bigger dining area than most, also. Almost next door to Dixie Stampede so was perfect for us.

    5
    « Pleasantly Surprised »

After our fiasco in Gatlinburg, we were pleasantly surprised with this find. They didn't have side by side or connecting rooms, but they did have a townhouse like room. It was half the price of the rooms we had reserved in Gatlinburg and very nice. The hotel was clean and very well maintained. The staff was extremely friendly. The townhouse was nice, I do wish however that you would put regular steps to the upstairs. I had a sinus infection and having to walk up and down the spiral stairs wasn't pleasant. Everything else...GREAT!

    4
« Always clean and inviting »

B-W Plaza is next door to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede. Consists of 3 stories with many rooms on each level. No interior halls. With just 2 elevators, as far as we know in the main unit on the front side, some rooms could be rather far to walk with large bags. It seems that almost every year we stay here, a fresh coat of paint has been applied inside and out. This time, the furniture had been updated, and once again, we were satisfied with the facility with one exception. The breakfast room is very nice - larger than some hotels of this type, but still too small for the number of guests who use it. This time, three busloads of guests invaded the breakfast room, resulting in a very long line of people waiting for a table. Not sure how to remedy this problem, but something needs to be done to accommodate the number of people who stay here and choose to have their breakfast before moving on. One suggestion we have is to open the breakfast room at least by 6 a.m. The 7:00 a.m. opening does not accommodate the crowds in peak seasons. October is a popular month, so reservations need to be made well in advance. We'll be back the next time we visit Pigeon Forge.

    4
    « Great Location! »

This is right on the main parkway, 2 doors down from Dixie Stampede. Lots of restaurants very close. The hotel itself is quiet and clean. The pools appeared very nice but I didn't use either the outdoor or indoor one. My room was clean and nice but I would have preferred a heavy blanket on the bed. I probably could have had one if I'd have called but I just pulled the blanket off the other bed since I wasn't using that one. The wifi was HORRIBLE but luckily I wasn't in my room enough to really care but that could be an issue for others.

    5
    « Nice clean hotel »

This hotel is well placed for our hiking trips to Great Smokey Mountain National Park. It is clean, has a good breakfast, and indoor and outdoor pools. The staff is always sincerely friendly and helpful.

    « I would recommend this one »

I haven't stayed in Pigeon Forge in many years, but due to the holiday, we opted to stay at Best Western Plaza instead of our usual hotel in Gatlinburg. We were VERY pleased!! The rooms are large and the beds were firm, but comfortable. Our room boasted a fireplace with a stream view and the room was cleaned every day. We were extremely happy to have chosen this one and would recommend it for anyone in the area

    4
    « Family Getaway »

Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Ten times better than what we had stayed in last year. We appreciate the kindness of the staff. It was a great weekend. Would come back and stay here on another trip!!!

    « Nice for price! »

Just returned from 4 night stay in riverside room. Quiet, clean....seemed to be recently renovated. Only downside was size of breakfast room, had to wait for table almost every morning! Food quality was ok but variety was definitely lacking! Wonderful staff!

    3
« Worst bed ever! Otherwise, average. »

On the main 'drag'. Front desk staff very efficient. Could not get a good dinner recommendation nearby. One bed was very uncomfortable. Too late to ask for another room when we found out. Breakfast was good and they had canned fruit! Not often seen.

    4
    « Convenient and Affordable »

Our first stay at this hotel. Well pleased with our room and staff. Just not enough parking in back and the cafe seating area needs to be expanded. Basically standing room only during the serving hours of 7am to 10am, but food was good. Just not as large a variety as at some other hotels. Would like to have seen fresh fruit and yogurt.

    5
    « Pigeon Forge, TN »

Very nice for the price. Outside patio overlooking the pool and hot tub. Spacious and comfortable room and bed with two overstuffed chairs. Great breakfast choices. Would have been nice to have a freezer compartment in the refrigerator.

    5
« Another great Best Western Experience »

Our group of over 30 people arrived and were all checked in within 30 minutes by friendly, competent staff. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Checkout was a breeze. We stayed here about 3 years ago and the property has been up graded and does not look dated. I ate breakfast at a nearby restaurant as I prefer large country breakfasts but others in the group said the food was good.

    4
    « TRIP EXPERIENCE »

This motel was okay. very beautiful view of the mtn on the 5th floor. awesome balcony. room was very large and spacious. bathroom lots of counter space. i would recommend hand held shower heads though.

« Very dissatisfied Not at all a Kid Friendly place to stay »

We have 5 children and this hotel is not a kid friendly place to stay, our children are very well mannered and quiet when staying in a hotel so imagine our surprise when we receive a knock at the door telling us we were to loud....Will not stay at BW Plaza Inn in Pigeon Forge TN again

    5
    « always a pleasant stay »

We were traveling with our 4 year old grandson and stayed 3 nights in this location. It's convenient to the Parkway into Gatlinburg as well as the outlet malls in Pigeon Forge. Room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

    4
« Nice room, No View »

Stayed here for three nights before the kids went back to school. Nice location to visit Dollywood and many local attractions. Close to several restaurants. Located on a very busy main street, but a not so busy section of roadways is located behind the hotel. Room was clean and spacious.

    5
    « Fall Break »

The Plaza Inn has always been a family favorite. The room was clean and ready on time. Beds are comfortable and the pools are clean. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast is always good.

  • 4
    « Mountain Stay »

We have stayed here before. We enjoyed it then and now. We love looking at the mountains as we sit outside. That is what we come for. The staff is always respectful and very helpful. Only problem was at breakfast. They were over flowing and we ate elsewhere so we could start our day of exploring.

    4
« good place to stay »

Very nice hotel within walking distance of many restaurants and attractions. Easy check in, clean room and good service. Breakfast was great with many selections. Reservations were made directly through this hotel. Received email reminder and confirmation. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

    4
    « Quick Trip »

Stayed here in the past many years ago, but it got run down. It has been remodeled now and looks great. Very clean and spacious rooms. Nice staff. Decent breakfast, however the space is not large enough to hold everyone trying to eat breakfast. Many ate outside and this time of year it is starting to get cool which is not the best way you want to start your morning trying to stay warm while you eat. Having a tray to carry things back to your rooms to eat would be helpful.

    5
    « outstanding hotel »

great place to stay ,eat, sleep just relax close to shopping and Dollywood, nice restarants we enjoy the in door pool in the winter the out side pool in summer , the staff aways go out of their way to help with any needs you have over all this is a great hotel to stay at.

    5
« Good hotel in a GREAT location »

Like many hotels on the strip it's a little old but imo so what. The place was clean, comfortable, good AC and everything worked in the room. The staff was really helpful and friendly asking about our plans and willing to give some advice. We live not far from there so we didn't need it but it was nice they offered. Again the best thing is the location there is so much to do in Pigeon Forge. If you're going to Dollywood this to me is the best place to stay imo.

    4
« Great place, very biker friendly »

We took advantage of this hotel's Harley Owners Group perks and we are not disappointed. The rooms are very clean, well put together and they have a cozy feel to them. The front desk is friendly and they called to check on us when we were late checking in. I thought that was nice. We aren't the only bikers here! There are about 12 other bikes at this hotel too. It's obvious the staff here are used to riders which is nice to see. Pigeon Forge in general has been a disappointment, but this hotel has been lovely and comfortable. We are glad to stay here while we ride up to Cherokee, NC.

    4
« Would recommend this hotel »

We loved the new addition to this hotel, our room was large and very nice. This hotel was also very close to everything we had come to the area to visit so was very convenient. The room was very reasonably priced and included breakfast which was very, very good. A very good experience and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

    2
« not up to par »

many problems with handicap room ,tub not easy access, only one elevator and was slow, room not cleaned properly ,not stocked with amenities .room had no info on tv stations and when office called said to walk over and get one ,did not offer to send one up. poor lightning and beds not comfortable ,has 4 small pillows om bed ,none of which were good, decided to leave a day early due to comfort of room and had construction crew blocking handicap parking making it difficult for disabled person to enter or exit ,told crews that it was illegal to block unless other arrangement are made but was ignored

    1
« Worst front desk assistance »

I called tthe front desk twice before I had to walk to the front desk and get the towels and rags for my family. Also the janitor was standing at the pool when he was "getting towels" and he told us the pool was closed .

    5
    « Quick trip »

This was a last minute trip we decided to take. This hotel was very affordable, clean, cozy and we'll definitely stay again. The only problem was the beds were not soft, they were hard. We'd stay again anyway despite the beds. The breakfast area was nice. Overall a really good place!

  • 5
    « great place »

we stay here 3 or 4 times each year and are never disappointed. the staff is always friendly and take good care of us. April showed us one of the townhouse suites this trip and it looked great. we stayed in the indoor pool area this trip but will check into the townhouse suite at a later date. the breakfast proviged each morning is superb.

    4
    « Good Trip »

We went to Pigeon Forge for a quick family trip and chose the Best Western. As others have mentioned it was old (where we were staying), but clean. Everyone we talked to while we were there was nice. We enjoyed the balcony at night while our kids slept. We paid extra for it, which was worth it, but it was advertised as "mountain view". It was more like "view of parking lot and other hotel". They also have 3 pools, so we enjoyed ours one evening. The breakfast was standard offerings for continental. If you don't get there early, the line may be a long wait to get food.

    5
    « Awesome stay!!! »

OMG! Best place to stay. I was sick on vacation when I went, and the hotels breakfast and pools soothed it. It was so amazingly clean and thanks for the fresh remote. I know that hotel remotes can be dirty and best western went the extra mile to ensure a god and clean environment. The rooms looked new and updated and amazingly clean linens. Thanks for your outstanding hospitality and service. Were definitely coming back.

    5
    « Completely Satisfied!!! »

Updated Best Western Plaza Inn. Great rooms, pool and parking. Was a tad concerned when I made reservation since we had not stayed here before, but was pleasantly surprised. Not a typical Pigeon Forge Hotel. Stylish color scheme in rooms, pool areas and breakfast area. Even though it has been here for years, the updated facilities puts it highly on my list for excellent locations to stay.

    5
    « Best Western »

The staff was friendly n courteous. I requested a downstairs room with indoor pool access. The staff member said-- I have the perfect room n indeed he did. Nice clean spacious room with fireplace n door opened directly to pool!! Enjoyed having lunch around the pool n listening to the waterfalls!! The motel is in walking distance to the Dixie Stampede which was another plus.

    4
« Ideal Location For Dollywood and Dixie Stampede »

The Hotel is next door to the Dixie Stampede and about 2 miles from Dollywood and the road has pavements if you prefer to walk and save the $12 parking fee. The hotel is Motel styled. It is clean and the breakfast was good although you might struggle to get a table at peak times. It has indoor and outdoor pools both of which are open 'til late. There are several restaurants gift shops and a funfair close by.

    3
« Pool area was lovely! Room - not so much... But I've stayed in worse... »

We have stayed in several BW properties, and considering the reviews I thought this place would be great! But we were sorely disappointed. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The in-room table and chairs were in such bad condition, that after sitting and feeling the insecure wobble, we decided not to sit on them anymore.I don't usually care much if the furniture or decor is outdated, but these were unsafe. The tub/shower/ toilet area needs updating badly. The vanity was nice, updated, and seemed out of place in the much older feeling room. There was a nice mini fridge and microwave in the room. The pool area was lovely. The room was reasonably clean. The sheets seemed old and worn. not soft and comfortable. The elevator was the scariest thing we rode even though we went to a theme park! There is no certificate posted (the certificate holder was empty) and it sure felt like it wouldn't make it the times we took it. (felt safer to use stairs) The breakfast area was crowded and the lines were long, and we were there off season! The food was OK, but the system needs to be made more efficient. They have powdered eggs, some type of sausage, biscuits and brown gravy, canned fruit cocktail, yogurt, breads, and make your own waffles. We really wanted to like this place, but couldn't. I heard some rooms were updated...That would help a lot! The location is great if you're there for Dollywood. The hotel emailed after we stayed asking for feedback and had a place to write a review for TtripAdvisor, but after a few days, I never heard back and my review never seemed to appear on this site. I wonder if that is why more of the "less favorable" reviews are not here?

    4
    « I would stay again »

We Enjoyed our stay. First time at this location. The breakfast was very good for a hotel breakfast. The breakfast room was pleasant though not very large. Our rooms were large and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only thing is, the room decor could use some updating.

    5
    « Great Value, Comfortable, Clean ! »

Great Value, Comfortable Beds, slept very well, Clean ! Staff EXTREMELY friendly and helpful, grounds excellently maintained. Free breakfast are was very nice and food served a notch above expectation. Huge indoor pool, 2 addl outdoor pools, will stay again! Clean, clean, clean!

    4
    « Good hotel »

Good hotel quiet although it was packed. The hotel was clean and staff friendly. The area is lively and has an abundance of things to do. I didn't take advantage of the free breakfast but the dining area appeared clean and well stocked.

  • 4
    « A Weekender for Two »

Decided at the last minute to jaunt over to PFTN from WNC! The staff was friendly and helpful at check in. The room was clean, but a little outdated and worn-- except for the vanity next to the bath that looked newer. It was a nice hot breakfast and the ladies putting it together were charming and answered any request with a smile. Overall, we would return--even with the grand kids for the three pool areas that looked well maintained. Only downside was that the room's door connected straight outside.

    5
    « Always A Pleasure »

We stay at this hotel a few times each year and always look forward to coming back. The staff is always friendly and helpful. April and Brandon checked us in this time and they both were very helpful. April even gave us a 10% off card for where we were going for dinner. That was much appreciated. The mountain view rooms are always clean and very spacious. Pools are clean and nice also. Looking forward to the next time already.

    5
« Great place to stay »

Great place to stay. Central location for visiting attractions in the area including like Dollyworld, Gaitlinburg & The Smoky Mountains. Only problem, which isn't the hotel's, is the traffic is bad getting out on 441.

    4
    « Girl's weekend »

We checked in Thursday September 23 and checked out on Sunday. We got in early and they gave us a room. Everyone was friendly. They have 3 pools. One was indoors. Hot breakfast every morning. The only problem for us was how hard the beds were. Would definitely stay there again.

    5
    « Very Nice! »

We brought our youth group to Pigeon Forge and stayed at Red Roof and me and my wife stayed an extra day and the room we were in was booked so we moved over to the Plaza Inn. This is a very nice place to stay! We got a king room and it was a very large room. Very clean. It was inside by the indoor pool so that made it a little noisy but it closed at 9 so it was ok. Didn't try the breakfast but we would definitely stay here again!!

    4
    « Great Place »

Stayed here with Family, was a very nice place, it was great weather when we were there. We spent most of our time at the Island of Pigeon Forge or in Gatlinburg out sight seeing, but the hotel check in was simple and the room was clean.

    4
    « leisure stay »

I did not have any reservations but check in was very easy. Had a little trouble getting in room because handle of door was not installed properly but hotel personnel was very nice and took us to room to gain access. Hotel was located for easy access to activities. They offered a very nice breakfast with lots of selection. They do need to add additional seating in the breakfast area.

« It was pretty good. »

I enjoyed the stay at the Best Western Plaza Inn. I booked on trip advisor and everything was squared away. We had two decent beds. Everything was clean. Right beside the Dixie Stampede which was a plus because that's one of the shows we saw. Indoor and outdoor pool. Free wifi. Hot breakfast. Would recommend. Only downside was that the room's door connected straight outside. Other than that, great experience! :)

    « I've seen worse »

Gosh, we have stayed in several BW properties, and considering the reviews, I thought this place would be great! But we were sorely disappointed. The beds were pretty old and uncomfortable. The tub/shower/ toilet area needs updating badly. The vanity was nice, updated, and seemed out of place in the much older feeling room. The table and chairs were in such bad condition, that after sitting and feeling the insecure wobble, we decided not to sit on them anymore. The indoor pool area was lovely. The room was reasonably clean. The sheets seemed old and worn. not soft and comfortable. The elevator was the scariest thing we rode even though we went to a theme park! There is no certificate posted (the certificate holder was empty) and it sure felt like it wouldn't make it the times we took it. (felt safer to use stairs) The breakfast area is so crowded and the lines were so long, and we were there off season! The food was OK, lots of choices, but the quality was low. (powdered eggs, cheap sausage, refrigerator type biscuits and a brown gravy, canned mixed fruit, lowfat milk, juice, cereal, yogurt, breads, and pretty good teddy bear waffles). but the system needs to be made more efficient. We really wanted to like this place, but couldn't. I heard some rooms were updated...

    « Great Customer Service »

The one good thing I can say about this place is that they have AWESOME customer service. They're very helpful and try to accommodate your needs. The first room we got smelled funny and we told them, it was instantly taken care of! The breakfast is good. The pools are great and well taken care of. The WiFi sucks. The air kicks on and off most of the time. But overall it was okay. The staff was amazing, but some of the other things.. not so much. Probably will pick a different hotel next time.

« Left item was not "found" »

Room was clean. AC unit kicked off and on, seemed like it wasn't a consistent temp. Breakfast was really good. Loved the teddy bear waffles. Room location was in back part of building near rear outdoor pool. It was quiet being away from traffic. My only real complaint is the help obviously feels entitled to belongings left behind by lodgers. I left my nice flat iron and case in drawer. Called the nice morning and even though the lady on the phone seemed very sincere about my loss, it was not there. My fault for leaving it but I'm very disappointed that the staff didn't turn it in

    « Rod Run Weekend »

The overall stay was very good. All public areas were well maintained and very clean with all the traffic for Rod Run. The room was clean, beds were exceptionally comfortable and we experienced no problems with the room. The only issue we had was with the parking.

    « OVER PRICED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! »

Been staying at the BW Plaza for over 10 yrs. We have a revolving reservation. This year the price increased by 80.00 w/o any notification. I called twice to confirm the room, nothing was said about an increase. They know all other hotels will be sold out also due to car show. They are taking advantage of loyal customers. We will NOT be staying at the BW Plaza again. I talked to lady at the front desk about the increase. All she could tell me was "Yes it increased, the car show. Last weeks show was cheaper." That should have nothing to do with it. AND I could have received something in the mail or told in my conformation calls. The bed was so terrible we did not rest at all. For 600.00 I would expect to sleep like a baby. Thank you for a terrible weekend!

    « better than most »

This property is close to all activity, can be a bit noisy at times because of traffic, and our king size bed was a bit uncomfortable, but it was nothing a foam topper could not fix. I would recommend this property to my friends.

« Always return to this Best Western »

Nice motel. Staff always greets you with a smile. We have stayed at this Best Western for the past 20 years, always for a week and at the same time of the year. Yes, we will be scheduling our stay for next year.

great place to stay for car shows only complaint was they would not let me make reservations for next years car show till Jan they did in the past. Always stay here for car show.Had a plumbing issue, reported it and was fixed so fast they replacrd faucet instead of fixing leak.

« Great location, great stay »

Our family of four (kids were 8 and 6) stayed here while on vacation from California. It is in a great location, easy access to restaurants, Dollywood, wonderful pools on site, hot tub, great breakfast and the rooms were nice. The beds were great and I have no complaints about the room! We definitely would stay here again!

Great place to stay, nice people, clean rooms, fair prices and laundry facilities. The motel is on the main drag with lots of restaurants and activities in the area. This motel offers 3 pools one of which is indoors.

    « Great Time,Great Place »

Hi stayed here for the first time to see the Shades of Past Car show ,It was great and convenient close to the strip where everyone likes to sit out on the strip to see all the Hot rods, It's close to Dollywood's splash country where they had the car show, The rooms were clean and they have a good hot continental breakfast which will save you money and time everything is in walking distance and their are trolleys to take you anywhere and they don't cost much I'm a regular best western customer and I like this place it has two pools so with that being said I hope this helps everyone out, 'Happy Traveling' everyone.

« Shades of the Past optimum stay! »

We have stayed here for over 10years for the Shades of the Past car show...and we absolutely love staying here. Everyone is always so nice and helpful, breakfast is good, and they are constantly working on updating and maintaining everything. This year they are painting the outside of the buildings (love the colors btw) and they have changed the carpet almost every year we have been here. We had a leaking sink faucet that also sprayed everywhere when turned on and they fixed it (actually replaced it and the stopper) within an hour of calling! I can't even get my husband to do that... Pools are clean and someone is always cleaning off the patio and furniture every morning. During the car show, parking is tight there is a STRICT one car per room policy but we know this and it works when everyone obliges--personnel are always making sure your vehicles are secure as well. By the way, this hotel is about 2 miles from Dollywood's Splash Country which also is the location of the Shades Of the Past car show in September. The trolley has a stop out front and is marked "Special" for the car show during that time to drop you off at Splash Country. It is also about 3/4mile from the Old Mill...we try to walk a lot of places during the "car show" (lasts about 3days). Don't know how else this place can be beat except for a cheaper price (good luck during special events)...

Great place to stay! Loved the location. Room was very comfortable and clean. Cleaned and restocked daily during our stay. The breakfast was good with a wide variety. Would definitely stay at this location again.

We stayed in the king suite inside the indoor pool area...we loved it! The beds were super comfortable and the room was pretty big! Everything was clean....the breakfast is absolutely wonderful as well

« Good place to stay »

Would I stay again? Yes Good location to stay, clean and friendly. This place is more motel than hotel but the rooms are large, clean and very comfortable and the rooms were made up every day and clean towels provided. It offers 2 outdoor pools, so plenty of room to relax. Breakfast was included but it was a buffet style and often long lines - waiting up to 15 minutes. I was also charged for the room, despite booking it through a 3rd party - however, the stay resolved this issue quickly which is all anyone could expect.

    5
« Wonderful staff and comfortably room »

This place was aces. The staff made the whole experience even better than expected simply by being friendly and Happy! Not fake happy but naturally happy. Great location to get to Dollywood easily. Fulfilled my special requests from the note box of my on line booking :)

« Great place to stay! »

We showed up Friday night and was looking to get a specific room we had stayed in before, but it was already taken. The lady at the desk recommended another room for us and we were absolutely pleased. We paid $119 a night which i was a little displeased with the price (i was thinking prices would be a little cheaper since it was after school starting back and before labor day) but either way...once we got to our room and seen the layout and how perfect it was for our 3 year old daughter and 3 year old niece, we didn't see a reason to go try to find something else on down the road. We loved our stay. The room was very clean and we enjoyed the continental breakfast the first day. It was aggravating the 2nd morning when we went in that there was nowhere to sit for us to eat and other people were just sitting at the tables done eating and didn't care to get up to offer their table seeing there were other people in line that wouldn't have anywhere to sit. We ended up going down the road and getting food elsewhere. I'm sure we will stay here again!

This was a great option for an extra adult traveling with a family. The loft accommodated everything we needed. Very clean and well maintained, the room was well stocked with towels and everything expected. I would definitely recommend this room.

Bed linens were dirty. I called and when the linens were brought, I had to change them. Also the Air conditioning unit was not working properly and noisy. They looked at it, jiggled a wire inside, and said if we had any more issues to call. This did not resolve the issue as the unit quit working again. We watched what the maintenance person did to fix it. We did the same thing and it worked for a few minutes and stopped. It only worked while the cover was off the unit so we just kept the cover off. No one seemed concerned about our dirty linens which only made me feel like if they are not concerned about that - what else are they cutting corners on? That would be the pool chemicals. There was green algae growing around the bottom edges of the pool so my girls refused to go in. Other kids that were in the pool complained about their eyes burning and had to wear goggles. The good thing was their breakfast and location. But that is not enough for me to stay again.

    « Very Nice Hotel »

We enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plaza Inn in Pigeon Forge. We had an awesome room with fireplace, balcony, and huge Jacuzzi tub. Their breakfast area was very clean and neat with lots of options. Loved the front porch with the rockers. The front desk clerk was very nice. Definitely will stay here again when in the area. TIP: Have breakfast early - this area can get very busy if you wait until later to eat breakfast.

    « Great stay »

A great place to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary!! We were met at check-in by three employees who all had a warm greeting for us. They provided needed information about area attractions and restaurants. One employee went out of the check-in area to find us a mobile luggage rack. We were very pleased with our visit and the personal attention given us.

The staff were great! The rooms were clean. The breakfast was great. April and Sandy at breakfast always had a smile. Fortina in housekeeping kept our room clean. The kids enjoyed the pools. There was easy access to the hotel and other activities in the area.

« Room never cleaned, repairs never done »

We reported problems with the shower water valve the first day and nothing was ever done. The only available electrical socket in the room was hanging out of the wall. Our room was never cleaned during our 7 day stay. The bed covers were thrown in the corner and stayed there all week. The last day the beds weren't even made. We had to ask for enough towels and toilet paper every day..

    4
    « Nice Hotel »

It was a nice hotel. I would say low frills, it has a nice pool and the jetted tub was a plus. The room seemed to be lacking furniture, but it was clean, which is always a bonus. It was right off the main highway, and was very confusing as to how to enter, because it is stuck to the days inn. but considering its spot (stuck in between Dolly Wood and the Dixie Stampede) it was quiet. I think they should renovate, they could get a few more dollars a room as they are probably the most high end hotel on the whole strip.

    3
« good stay for a few nights »

over was pleased with the stay - the hotel had been updated since the last stay we'd had. will be back - breakfast is typically good - but don't know this time the line was so long we had to go somewhere else to eat. and was sad about that since we'd paid for it with our stay.

There are 3 pools on sight, all are very clean. the breakfast room is very clean and the times of service are convenient. I don't write reviews, but I hope this helps. Safe Travels. Sharon

    « Great place! »

My boyfriend and I stayed here two nights for a weekend and was amazed. Right at check in we was welcomed with smiles and gave great directions to our room. The room was clean and very nice with its own balcony. The bed was super comfy and plenty of pillows for everyone. The breakfast by itself is enough to book here again. There is plenty for everyone, and it's so good. Hot biscuits, eggs, sausage, gravy, cereal, juice, waffles and more. The only thing I could comment on is I wish they didn't close the pool at midnight. After walking 11 miles in Dollywood and down the strip I could of used a relaxing swim at 12:30.

    « Perfect Spot »

This motel has been our vacation spot for a number of yrs. It is in the right location to the parkway and all the stores are close at hand but in a few minutes your right into the Smokey Mountains. My grandchildren loves coming to this motel to enjoy the in-door and outside pools and they love walking the parkway in the evening. The staff is friendly and always helpful. Breakfast cant be beat. The manager Mike will do everything to make you feel at home and welcomes you with a friendly smile. You can tell the staff loves working there and is proud of the cleanness of their motel. A must stay while visiting Pigeon Forge Tn.

« Love the Indoor Jacuzzi / Pool »

One of my favorite places to stay. If I can book a room close to the access door from parking for the indoor pool, I am happy. I am disabled and cannot walk more than a few feet at a time so this really helps my mobility. Rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast is very good.

    « Clean...convenient...comfortable »

What a wonderful surprise! I was not expecting the great facilities and amenities offered at this lower cost chain...but it is great! The room is basic, but very clean and updated. Nice refrigerator and microwave included too. I really enjoyed the swimming pool that was not packed with kids. The separate "restaurant" setting offered for the hot breakfast buffet was wonderful. Rockers and tables out on the porch with coffee greeting early risers. Thanks Best Western Plaza...I'll be back.

Spiral stairs to balcony bedroom and perfect location for restaurants and transportation to Dolly-wood. Breakfast is tasty and hot. No waiting for food but get there early as the tables fill up fast. Easy check-in and out. Plenty of parking. Indoor and outdoor pools to cool off after a hot day at Dolly-wood.

    « Great value »

The hotel was in great condition- clean and nice looking. There were three pools and a jacuzzi, which we didn't use, but is ideal for families with children. We didn't have the breakfast, but I did walk through their one morning. Looked like a normal breakfast offered by hotels.

    « Better than expected »

I had checked previous reviews before booking here and they were all pretty good. The room looked just like the pictures online and was very clean. Only issue I had was the mattress was too firm for my liking. This facility had 3 pools and hot tubs throughout. The free breakfast was good for free... Eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, and donuts, cereal, bagels and even a make your own waffle station. Not too shabby! Staff was extremely friendly, and we were even given a refund when we needed to leave a night early. I highly recommend this place, great for the cost!

This is a no frills hotel. It has a very nice breakfast. There are two outdoor pools and three kiddie pools. My mother and I love the rooms with the balcony that overlook the pool and also have a beautiful view of the mountain. This hotel is next door to Dixie Stampede. The hotel is older, but they do keep it clean. They clean the rooms daily and the beds are endowed with many pillows. The TV was nice with many channels. It is a comfortable stay that doesn't break the bank.

    « LOVED THIS HOTEL!!! »

During my honeymoon we started out at a Bed and Breakfast in Landrum,SC which was a total bust. We asked for our money back and headed to Pigeon Forge, TN with no reservation we walked in and asked if there were any rooms available and we are so glad there were! The guy at the front desk was so nice about answering questions and helping us find a room. The room was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful view off the private balcony! The parking area was well lit and spacious enough for everyone, and the hotel overall seemed very safe! We even walked over to the Dixie Stampede the night before we left, rather than having to get out in traffic (2 Parking lots over). Our trip may have started off pretty bad, but this hotel made up for that plus some. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Pigeon Forge!

« Vacation with our granddaughter »

After much research and checking reviews, we made the reservation several months prior to vacation. The deciding factor was that is was next door to Dixie Stampede. Check in went smoothly. The breakfast room was a definite plus, plenty of food. When reserving our room, we choose a river view room because of the description. We felt that it would be a quieter room...wrong. What they leave out of the description is that there is a back street (that a lot of people use to stay off the main drag) between the room and the river. We weren't pleased with the shrubs around the balcony, definitely needs trimmed (or even removed) as the branches are growing onto the balcony leaving no room to use. The room size was great, it even had a fireplace (which would be nice in the colder months). The condition of the room was average. We have stayed in better, but also unfortunately worse. Will we stay again, probably not. Mainly because there are so many other places to try.

    4
    « We'll be back! »

The location was perfect...lots to do in Pigeon Forge and not too far from the Smokys. Dixie Stampede is on one side and there is a trampoline place on the other. We walked to both. We stayed over the 4th of July for 4 nights and the place had no vacancy for a couple days. There are 3 pools (all were crowded because of the busy weekend). Also the breakfast buffet was very crowded and had the same thing every morning....eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, waffles, various breads. The servers seemed very impatient and irritated...possibly because of the large crowd. The room was large and beds were comfortable. We had a balcony (the door stuck) that overlooked one of the pools and had a view of the Smokys. I used the laundry facilities one night...2 washers 2 dryers. Only one washer worked and the dryers were full of sand from the previous load. We are looking forward to returning....just not over the 4th of July!!

    « A wonderful stay! »

We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back. The continental breakfast was way more than expected! The rooms were wonderful and quiet. The only issue I had was terrible wifi service! Maybe they were having issues while I was there idk. I could have called and asked but I just let it be. The back pool is very nice. Most people were in the front one :) and it's right beside the Dixie Stampede! :)

    « Very Enjoyable. »

Loved our room, we had a room facing the strip in the pool bldg. Walked right out our door into the pool, or out our front door went to a balcony where you can sit and watch the cars and people go by. Staff was very friendly and help full.We had no issues, but another couple that was with us had a few problems in their room and had to change rooms and they ended up on the back side of the property overlooking the river which was also very nice but was charged about $20 more per day for that room. Over all it was a great trip and reasonably priced.

« Great place to stay »

Great location, easy to shoot down Parkway thru Pigeon Forge. Room was large, had an upstairs, so we put teenage kids up there. Room also had two bathrooms and an eating area. Breakfast was good and the attendants were on hand restocking and filling things up.

    « Our 3rd stay »

This is my granddaughter's favorite hotel because it has indoor and outdoor pools. We like staying here because it is close to the trolley terminal. Not having to drive is one of my favorite things. Breakfast selection is fair, just not enough tables or chairs for the size of the hotel. We usually skip the free breakfast, other than juice so we can find a place where we can sit and enjoy our meal.

    « Not bad...average »

« Business (with a splash of personal) »

This hotel is very large & is located right in the heart of EVERYTHING. Great for the business traveler (but get a room on the backside away from the main drag noise). As a business traveler - free Wi-Fi, Hot breakfast & centrally located are a MUST for me. Big rooms, well appointed are a PLUS. The outdoor pools are open late (which is awesome for a few moments of personal down time & some R & R). The staff is very courteous & aims to please. Always a pleasure to stay here! Never a complaint about this place. Tons of room type choices (none are small) so spread out!

This was a great place for a family to stay. Big spacious room with lots of bathroom space. We stayed four nights at this hotel. Rooms were clean and kept cleaned the entire time. « Good Price, Nice Pools indoor/Outdoor »

We visited Pigeon Forge during some very hot weather. The room stayed comfortably cool. There was a nice breakfast area with pancakes, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, plus cereal, yogurt, and fruit. It's right near everything "Pigeon Forge" including Dollywood ( at the next stoplight) an Dixie Stampede dinner show. It was very hot when we were there, and we decided to head back and dip in the pools earlier than planned, just to cool off. When a thunderstorm approached, we simply moved into the indoor pool area. It was a nice stay for a relatively low price.

    « Great stay »

We weren't planning on staying in Pigeon Forge but once we started walking around and having fun, we knew we needed to stay and have even more fun! We must have called 20+ hotels all stating they were all full until this was the last one we called before were about to give up. The one and only room they had was a king suite with a jacuzzi in the room, fireplace and private balcony and we jumped on it. Really cute little room. Hotels ground very nice including three pools pools (1 outdoor and 1 indoor one in the front and 1 outdoor one in the back). Was about a 3 mile walk from our hotel to The Island but on the walk there, you got to see a lot of cool stuff. The trolley does go down the strip but if you walk it you can see a lot more! Nice view from balcony of the river and the mountain ranges. All in all a good little nice trip with very nice front desk staff! They saved out butts that day and we thank them for it!

« Pretty good for the money! »

The Best Western Plaza Inn was our hotel for our 4 day Pigeon Forge trip. The room was clean and comfortable although there were no extra pillows or blankets in the room. The beds were made everyday but we weren't given fresh sheets. We did get fresh towels though. The breakfast was great and they definitely had an array of things to eat. The three different pools made it easy to avoid a crowd during the busy tourist season. Definitely would stay again.

Our stay was wonderful! The hotel staff were all nice and helpful. The room was clean and smelled fresh. The outdoor pool was well kept and very clean. The indoor pool was clean and very spacious! The breakfast area is a bit small BUT decorated beautifully and the food is great! My family and I had an amazing time here. It is affordable, clean, updated and the pools are just great! We will stay here again on our next visit!

Super clean for the age of this property. Liked the pool. Hot tub does not have step going down. It would be hard for someone older or with bad knees. We were fine, but it also didn't have all the Jets working. Breakfast the first morning was a mess, but there were just tons of people and it couldn't be helped. Next day was fine. Same food both days. So, so.. I wouldn't factor breakfast into your decision. We actually wished we would have went out for bfast our second morning.... Can't say enough of how clean it was, people were constantly trying sweeping sidewalks and cleaning the outside and inside of rooms. I think this is at least a 2 5 of not 3 star for the area.

In our first night at 1:00 AM the fire alarm went off, everyone had to evacuate the building. The police, firefighters, and ambulance came. When it became 1:30 the police said it was a false alarm and that we can go back in the building now. The next day we could not use the elevator that day till 7:00 AM. The breakfast building was small and options were limited. Hallway floors were dirty, Rooms were spacious, pools were nice. Make sure you get a mountain view room.

Got a great deal, clean, secure, comfortable, have parking and wifi included. Perfect location. Only downside.... The earmuffs or how hotel call them pillows. Get it together. Pillows are to support your head not to be use as earmuffs!!!!

The staff was very helpful- making sure we knew where our plans were, discounts if available, maps and any questions answered. There are three pools, so it was usually easy to find one not too busy. However you need to bring your own towels. Even though there was racks that said towels, we could never find any on them and had to use ones from our room and then hang them to dry to use for our shower. The hotel is within walking distance of quite a few fun things to do, which was nice to not have to always drive in the traffic to get everywhere. Overall my family enjoyed our vacation without many complaints, which is a great vacation for me as a parent.

My family and I stayed here one night in July. We got here late, around 1 o'clock. We notified the hotel that we were arriving late so that was not a problem. We got there and there was no parking spaces available we ended up parking on the side. Also the bathroom door didn't have a lock, the bathroom door hardly shut to add in. The hotel can also use some more outlets as some of them were not accessible.

Good place to stay while in Pigeon Forge. Comfortable beds and fairly easy to get to with addition access through a back road along the river. If going to Dollywood, the back road access is really convenient since you do not have to deal with the traffic on the main road. Breakfast area is small and crowded in the summer.

This is the only hotel we stay at when in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. Over the last 10 years we have visited 6 times and have always used this Best Western. It is in a great location and they have never let us down!! The quality and service are awesome! The beds are very comfortable and breakfast is very good. The rooms are clean and the pools are really nice.

« Great Place to Stay »

After a long drive, we pulled into this Best Western. I booked through the website and got a pretty good deal. This hotel was great. There were constantly people working to keep it looking nice. The rooms comfortably fit our family of 4. We walked around the property and found 3 pools, with one indoors. We went to one outdoors and enjoyed the waterfall that it had. The breakfast was good, but got crowded fast. My only complaint is that it was supposed to be a smoke free hotel, but people were smoking outside their rooms so that others had to walk though it to get to their cars.

Plenty of other shops and diners near by if (like us) you missed breakfast..!! Great location. You are right in the middle of everything from moonshine to stampede dinner shows via christmas village Couldn't fault it

« Can we say outdated! »

Stayed here for one night because I decided to come down a day early. Really disappointed. The room is very outdated, although clean. The beds really need replaced. The mattresses were not at all comfortable. I ended up sleeping 3-4 hours because I just could not get comfortable. The service was friendly, but it did not seem genuine. It looked like she was working at being friendly. Either way, I got through check in quickly and to my room in less time than I have ever spent dealing with a front desk. All in all, you get what you pay for. At $100 a night, I shouldn't expect much. Being outdated seems normal in this area. With the rate of occupation, I am not surprised that this or other hotels would not freshen up though. Why do that when you are always attracting guests?

If your looking for a hotel in Pigeon Forge, Tn. look no further. This is the best hands down place to stay. This hotel is located in the heart of Pigeon Forge and is close to everything. We looked and looked trying to find a reasonably priced hotel for my family to stay at while visiting pigeon forge. I ran across this hotel and read the reviews and decided to take a chance. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel has 3 nice pools 2 outside and 1 inside. All pool areas are clean. The rooms are small but clean and updated although this is our first night so far we are happy with our choice for this visit.

    « Nice Hotel »

This was a great hotel, close to Dollywood and many other attractions. my only complaint was that there was hair in some of the towels. The breakfast was great and the staff were friendly. the pools looked very nice but didn't swim in them. A tip for getting a room is try to get one away from the stairs to avoid the noise from people walking up and down them at night since they are concrete. the room it self was up to date and cleaned before and during our stay. the beds were very comfortable in my opinion, it was the best sleep out of my home state in a long time. over all a great hotel. I traveled in july 2015.

Nice hotel with 2 outdoor pools and 1 indoor pool. Breakfast bar was great but could have more hours. Sandy, Janis, and Maria were great at making sure food was available. Room was big and balcony was wonderful to sit outside and relax. Josefina did a wonderful job at cleaning our room and making sure we had what we needed. Went there for the 4th of July week and could see the fireworks from the pool area.

My husband, daughter, and I stayed only one night but, we were really impressed. We were in the front motel part of the complex. It is old but, remodeled and clean. The breakfast was plenty and everything was fresh. It is definitely one of the better breakfast bars we have had. The front swimming pool is really nice with a pretty waterfall. The indoor pool wasn't as pleasant but, is great for the little ones because it's only 3-4 ft. deep. Bring your own hair conditioner. There wasn't any in the room and only one small tube of shampoo. You may want to ask at check-in for extra if you think you will need it. We always have our own so, it wasn't a problem. We will be coming back to this place. I highly recommend it! P. S. The back hotel building is much nicer if you can get it ??

« Good value for area but not for the picky »

We stayed 2 nights in one of the "mountain view" rooms. The staff was friendly and the room was large and clean. The 3 pools were well maintained but the one jacuzzi was always full. The beds were not very comfortable and we had to turn the air conditioning down to 66 to get the room to comfortable. The hot breakfast was good but the size of the breakfast room and amount of seating was extremely inadequate for the number of guests the hotel holds causing long lines and no place to sit. There was an odd smell in the hallways (like burning wire mixed with mildew) and the outdoor doors were not secure at night like most hotels. Overall, the price was good for the area, but read reviews if you are picky.

This hotel property is very nice. The rooms are clean and up to date. The breakfast area and lobby have just been renovated and is very nice. The location is very convenient as it is just outside of Dolly-wood in Pigeon Forge Tennessee and right across the street from the Dixie Stampede. I would recommend this property to all my friends and family.

« Great place to stay »

Spent 5 nights with the family (3 kids) in the hotel. Room was clean and big enough. There are 2 outdoor pools and one indoor pool, Jacuzzi next to them. It was really nice to spend some time in the pool in the evening. Breakfast was mediocre and the staff there was not as friendly there. But it was included in the price which was nice. Hotel is very close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and that is why we stayed there. The visitor center is about 15 mins from the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants, stores, grocery stores, Walmart in the close proximity. We would go back if we are in the area again.

    « Comfortable and clean »

Although I despise the crowds and noise of Pigeon Forge and Garlinburg, a friend booked a room during a motorcycle trip. The hotel is very large and spread out, but has adequate parking and 3 swimming pools. The staff were friendly and recommended restaurants and attractions. Our room had 2 queen beds, much appreciated by us tall guys. The decor was average, but the room was clean and comfortable. WIFI was free, but slow. The highlight was the breakfast, which had biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage in addition to the normal fare of cereal, waffles and bagels. If I were ever in PF again, heaven forbid, I would book a room here, and that is about the best recommendation I can give for lodging.

« Great for the location »

We are walking distance to the Old Mill and a Cuban restaurant that were both local places to experience. Every one at the hotel and even the city were noticable kind. The room is very clean and comes with a fridge & microwave. There are also three pools! We stayed in the back which was very secluded and peaceful. It is also right next to the breakfast area (free with the stay). Breakfast is the basic eggs, sausage, waffles (in the shape of bears!) with all the other standards: coffee, bagels, yogurt, etc. What is most impressive is that even though it draws a crowd for hours, the staff kept up with the food and keep it very clean. Three days in a row, a consistent experience. Patting my own back - even the guests are great. Kids are well behaved, everyone was more respectful that other places we walked by on the way to the Old Mill. You can also drive out the back and and go around the pigeon forge traffic. Thank you for making this a wonderful place to stay.

« Island of Tranquility in Pigeon Forge »

This is one of the best Best Western inns in which we have ever stayed. Pigeon Forge is a beehive of activity until late at night, but the Plaza Inn is an island of tranquility. Ask for a room at the back of the inn, and you will enjoy peace and quiet. The rooms are quite spacious, and the beds are quite comfortable. The breakfast room gets busy right before the end of breakfast service at 0930, but if you get there by 0800 you should find the breakfast line short and table are readily available. And the breakfast foods are delicious. The entire staff is very friendly and competent. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone and would stay here again.

« We enjoyed our stay »

My wife and I along with my parents booked a stat here for the weekend on a getaway to Pigeon Forge. There are certainly more expensive places to stay but this Best Western hotel had good reviews on here and the rates are reasonable. We stayed in a couple of mountain view rooms on the fourth floor and enjoyed seeing the mountains in the distance from the balconies. They did overlook a parking lot and Dixie Stampede but it was still a lovely view. The rooms were nice sized and the beds were comfortable. They also had a decent bathroom and nice shower and a small fridge in the room. I believe there were two outdoor pools as well but we didn't get a chance to swim. The hotel was a good one for the price and the location was perfect. We weren't impressed with the breakfast so we ate elsewhere. I would stay here again as it was a good, clean room at a decent price.

    « Great Service! »

Visited here this past week. We arrived around noon and were able to check in early. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. Pools were nice and indoor pool was a great option as well. Super convenient location next to Dixie Stampede. The best part was the free breakfast. The food was excellent! The eggs were delicious and obviously not powdered. They also had great gravy. It tasted homemade and not like the usual buffet staple of instant gravy. Wide selection including yogurt, oatmeal, grirs, fruit, and super cute Teddy Bear waffles. They even had strawberry and blueberry topping for them. It was easily a $40 breakfast for our family of 4. I wish I had stayed here longer and saved the money I wasted at Wilderness in the Smokies! If you're looking for a room in Pigeon Forge, this is a great deal!!

I would not stay at this hotel. The rooms have a smell, you can hear the upsair toilet flash from your room, the soap is cheap, smells terrible and is made in china, plus you wont get any lotion. I did not try the shompoo. The matresses must be old because they are using matress covers that come apart while you sleep along with the sheets. The parking is also a problem if you are in town to late you may not find a parking spot. The coffee in the room does not taste very good. Also unlike most Best Westerns were the coffee and fresh fruits are available all the time, here coffee and and apples is only available from 7:00 to 10:00 am.

    « Clean Rooms »

This is the second time I stayed here and was very happy with my experience, again. Rooms are very clean. And a big thing for me was that the bathroom and shower was spotless. I will be staying here again next year for my annual trip.

This was our first time in Pigeon Forge, TN. We stayed in the King Suite and was amazed with all the amenities and how spacious it was. Everything from the Jacuzzi, fridge, coffee pot, and TV worked. Staff was EXTREMELY helpful and polite. The pool was perfect! Was close to Dollywood and the Trolly stop it right outside the hotel. I would like to make a few suggestions: 1. The TV's in the room should be updated. Also had some trouble with the cable (at times). I know its in the mountains, just an F.Y.I. 2. Need to work on the WIFI. I did report to the front desk that I could not keep a signal for the 3 days we were there. If I wanted to look up something, I couldn't. It was not a bad stay, and I would stay there again.

This is a very nice, conveniently located hotel. There are 3 buildings and large parking lots. There are 2 outdoor pools and 1 indoor. The breakfast is good and served in a little "cafe" setting. Get there early to get a table though.Everything is very well maintained and neat. The room is large, clean and quite. The beds are comfortable but have those little weird pillows. (I brought my own since that seems to be a trend now.) We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

« Great Stay at Best Western »

We visit Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area every year, sometimes twice. We always stay in Gatlinburg in condos or cabins. This time we stayed in Pigeon Forge at the Best Western. We were very surprised at how nice the hotel room was. We thought it would be old, but it was nicely updated. Our room was in the indoor pool building, an indoor pool room (160). Very nice with a fireplace (didn't use because it was June) and unexpectedly large. We paid extra but it was worth it. The hotel has 3 beautiful pools, 1 indoor and 2 outside pools. All of them are nice, but my daughter liked the indoor pool because we could walk out of our room, right to the pool. Everything was great. The continental breakfast building is big, nice and organized. The food is probably a so-so rating, but nice accomodations.

After an unhappy experience at a different motel, this was a very pleasant surprise. We were met with smiling faces at check in, then a towel elephant greeted us when we opened the doors to our rooms. We asked for adjoining rooms and were accommodated. This gave the grand kids room to move around. We enjoyed the indoor pool. After spending a week in the sun on the beach in FL this allowed the kiddos to swim without having to deal with putting on sunscreen. I will definitely stay here again then next time we come to Pigeon Forge.

Everything was really great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pools and jacuzzi were really good. The breakfast was really great. We stayed on the third floor, the room was big and had alot if room, we had the king sized bed and parkway views. The only reason I gave four stars was cause the the internet wasn't great, it worked just really slow, and our balcony had a light on with no switch to turn off. It was still a really great stat and we'll most likely stay again!

« Would stay again but not the view I expected »

Had a wonderful stay. Everyone was friendly and the hotel is VERY clean. It was nice to have pool options. The inside pool was our favorite due to the hot tub right in the pool so we could relax while watching our kids swim. We had picked the mountain view room... Not at all the view I expected. I didn't realize that there was so much on the strip and the building beside took away from the "mountain view" but it was still beautiful and I would stay here again.

    « Would stay again »

We were in town for 1 night and needed something to fit our budget. We got to town earlier than we expected and the desk staff was so kind to allow us to check in early. The housekeeper was still cleaning our room when we arrived (Maria). She was very friendly and apologized for holding us up - no need to apologize as we were in HER way by being early. She even helped us to bring in our luggage cart. Our room was a top floor balcony facing towards Dixie Stampede (right next door). There was a decent view of the mountains and the outdoor pool from our balcony. I have read many reviews about the odor from the entrance and hallways in the side we stayed in - and I do agree with those reviews. There is a really strange smell throughout. However - this property was extremely clean. The beds were comfortable. The whole property itself could use some updating to the décor and fixtures but everything we saw was in good shape and served its purpose. Good water pressure in the shower. There are many smaller shops within walking distance - which the daughter and I did while Dad was catching some zzz's. Several fast food restaurants nearby (McD's, BK, Pizza Hut, Wendys). The location was good - right on the strip. We only saw the outdoor pool as we didn't get a chance to check out the indoor pool. The outdoor pool was nice with a baby pool and fountain. There is also a gazebo. There is room for sun as well as shade at the pool. Parking was good throughout the day but filled up pretty quick as the sun went down. There seemed to be enough room for everyone although a few people had to park along the back fence. They do monitor the parking to make sure only guests are parking here. The breakfast "house" was a cute touch - loved the rocking chairs and covered porch. Nice landscaping. Staying here sort of felt like we were staying in an outdated (but kept up) resort. The customer service was good and all of our needs were met. This review is coming from a family who frequents mostly Hilton brand hotels - and we would definitely stay here again.

    « Run-of-the-Mill Best Western property »

Large hotel complex with at least two pools and large outdoor spaces. Although there is a large grassy and shady area around the pool, there was NO SEATING except in the pool area and, in fact, no outdoor seating at all except those rooms with balconies. Other than this somewhat negative comment, the BW was an acceptable place for families.

We had a king room in the back section of the property. It overlooked the river. The room was very nice, clean with all the necessities. There is a free breakfast and free parking.

I did a lot of research prior to taking this trip. We arrived and were warmly greeted. The room was very clean and well kept. The pools were refreshing and the staff always ready to help. The continental breakfast made you feel like you were at a small restaurant with good variety and friendly staff. We would definitely stay again and am grateful after a 10 year hiatus to return to such a great experience and could concentrate on the attractions vs any issues with our accommodations. Thanks BW!

My family has stayed at the Best Western Plaza Inn for the last 3 or 4 years and the hotel is clean, staff friendly, and the pool is great. It is close to the major attractions at Dollywood and other shows and shops. The only thing I don't care for is the pillows but I started bringing my own and have had no problems.

Stayed here for a long weekend and rented 2 rooms for 8 people. Was a great spot. Our rooms were right off the pool with the gazebo. Kids really enjoyed. Breakfast was alright. Waffles were a hit with our group. Rooms were large w fireplaces (not needed in 90 degree weather but nice to know have) and our balconies faced river. Hotel is in a great spot. Main entrance off parkway but back of hotel is off a street that runs parallel to Pkwy so much lighter traffic. The hotel is also off of Dollywood lane for those interested in the park. Great location will definately use again.

Allthat I can say is the hotel staff were very polite and if it all turns out we will go back for another stay for Christmas, Hope to see you again.

This was only our second stay at this property but I will state when we travel to Pigeon Forge in the future, this will be our first selection! My husband and I traveled with my 82 mother with ALZ during April 2016 to this hotel. When I made the call to reserve, originally thinking I would need to have 2 connecting rooms, the staff listened to our needs and then recommended their 2 bedroom townhouse room - it was awesome! The 2nd bedroom is in a loft type area, accessed by a spiral staircase - it provided just enough privacy for us, but still allowed my mother to realize we were in the room with her. The main bathroom was huge with a jetted tub! The loft bathroom was a decent size as well. Additionally this room had a sleeper sofa, fire place, kitchen table for 4 - it was a very large room, and included a balcony overlooking the main street. It was perfect and I can see families being able to enjoy this room greatly! The staff were very friendly and helpful not just on the phone call but ever single one we encountered. The breakfast was wonderful as well. The room and property were immaculate! This hotel is a definite choice to consider staying at in Pigeon Forge!

A great place to stay. Check in and out was easy. Room was clean. Two issues. First, we paid extra for a room with a balcony overlooking a creek/stream and mountain view (found this tip on tripadvisor). On entering our room, the only thing we were able to see was the swimming pool. We talked with the check in folks who stated we do not have any rooms with such a view. This certainly was not true. Our stay was during the memorial day weekend as well as a ball tournament so the hotel was full. We were disappointed. Second was the drainage in the bathtub. While taking a shower, we would stand ankle deep in water. Reported the issue to the desk who said we will take care of it, not sure if they did because we were still standing in water. No one contacted us to make sure the issue was resolved. All in all a good stay besides the two glitches.

Very Clean, Personable Staff, Honest maids, Excellent breakfast the breakfast alone you save $40 by not going to a diner, with that in mind price of hotel pays off verses cabins, They also have a Trolly Stop out front, and several places to eat that you can walk to, Did I mention DIXIE STAMPEDE is 3 doors down maybe 1 block away ;). also 2 ways to exit front to parkway, back to avoid parkway to get to Veterans Blvd to go to Dollywood or Counrty Splash. So for a reasonable price visit Best Western Plaza Inn

    « Weeknights with Family »

We stayed in two adjoining rooms with our in-laws last week. Unfortunately, these two rooms seemed to be missing a few things. Neither of the bathtubs drained properly. By the end of a 10 minute shower, I was standing in 9 inches of water. I asked after the first morning of our stay for this to be fixed, but it was evident by the next morning when we all showered again that our room was never touched for maintenance. The phone was missing half the buttons. The wifi never worked. Don't even bother with it. I asked the front desk about it and got excuses about the storm, then it was the password, then it was something else. But it never worked.

This is the first time that we have stayed at the Plaza Inn. We usually stay across the street at the Toni Inn, but we wanted a room with a balcony. I am so glad that we booked this hotel. We had a room with a jacuzzi tub, balcony with river view, and king size bed. It was really nice and quiet. There are three pools, which is great since it gets crowded this time of year. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will be staying here again.

    « Disappointed »

First, the positive-room was clean and comfortable and continental breakfast was good. Now, the negative-out door hot tub was lukewarm, only slightly warmer than outdoor pool. Asked at front desk for temperature to be turned up & was told it would be taken care of, but it wasn't. Two other groups also complained & asked that temperature be turned up, but it was never turned up. Hot tubs are very disappointing when they are only lukewarm. Also, lots of kids were throwing footballs in the indoor pool area and this was very frustrating for us and other guests, as we couldn't enjoy the pool or hot tub because we were dodging footballs. We asked the staff to address this, but no one ever addressed it. We chose this hotel because we knew the weekend was supposed to be rainy and the hotel advertised indoor pool and indoor and outdoor hot tubs, but we were unable to enjoy any of these because the front desk/staff would not address out issues. We heard quite a few other guests complaining about these same issues. On the fence at this time as to whether we would choose to stay at this hotel in the future.

This time 3 couples, stayed in the indoor pool area w/2 Queens in each room, adjoining large rooms w/fireplace which we didn't use but we are already planning a Thanksgiving trip and hopefully staying in same rooms! Enjoyed our stay, comfortable beds, microwave and frig. in each room, flat screen TVs, very nice people, Fun time enjoyed by all! Thanks Best Western Plaza Inn. See you soon!

« Best Western Pigeon Forge »

Very affordable for a budget. Room was adequate as it had 2 queen size beds. We enjoyed using the microwave and refrigerator. There was an room odor of an old motel. The staff was excellent, but the front lobby could use a remodel as it looked and felt very old. We drove right passed it and had to double back. The front reception/lobby was not well marked. We actually went to the enclosed pool area to check-in. The newly remodeled breakfast area was in the back, but we found it ok. The breakfast was ample with great service.

    « Clean, nice hotel »

Friendly staff. Our room was upgraded due to painting near standard rooms. They upgraded us to King with spa. Room had mini frig and microwave. Both were nice to have. Nice view. Nice pool area indoor and out. Breakfast was hot and not bad. Offered biscuits and gravy, donuts, toast, bear waffles, juices, coffee, eggs, sausage and much more. Tasted better because it was complimentary! Didn't give a 5 because of small things such as outlets were loose, receptacle was missing near table and carpet was dated. Will definitely stay again.

I stayed in a nearby hotel while my daughter was on her over night 5th grade school trip. The accommodations were adequate. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Friendly welcome and helpful information provided at desk on arriving after a long journey from Ireland. Hotel well situated on Parkway with trollies for transport as we didn't have a car. Would love to know their make up/ brand??

« Nice Stay, Good Value, BUT...... »

Nice motel, typical for this chain. The room was clean, 2 queens, with all the usual amenities. There were two outdoor pools. The breakfast was typical motel fare, but there was not enough seating. We paid extra for a room with balcony and a mountain view. Because of trees, however, we had no such view. If you want this type of room, check out the view first. It maybe worth the extra $10 per night if the view is there. Easy short walk to the Dixie Stampede, really, I mean short and same side of the street. Also an easy drive to the national park, especially if you take the bypass route around Gatlinburg. Overall - a good value. We were there pre-Memorial Day. I imagine the rates go up after the holiday.

Very nice place to stay for the money we paid. Right next door to the Dixie stampede show. The breakfast in the morning time had plenty to choose from. Will stay here again when we come back. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Cleaning staff had room smelling nice and clean everyday when we got back to room.

« 3 pools, great service, reasonable price »

We love staying at the Plaza. It is on the main parkway with quick access to shows, go carts and the Great Smoky Mnt national park. Our favorite is the large indoor pool and hot tub open year round. There are two outdoor pools. The large main outdoor pool is near the front with kiddie pool and hot tub. Another outdoor pool and kiddie pool with a bbq area is in the quieter back area. They have a hot breakfast included and a very friendly staff in all areas.

I had a bad experience at a previous Best Western in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area so I was a little worried about this one. Once we checked in and got in our room those thoughts of our previous Best Western stay were gone! This hotel is nice, clean and the staff is friendly. There are 2 pools, one in the front and one in the back. The rooms were spacious and clean. I would definitely stay at this property again!

Stayed a couple of nights @ the BW Plaza Inn, before moving to the wedding venue in Gatlinburg. Arrival experience was satisfactory...no problems checking-in. Our room was in an older part of the hotel complex. The room was clean & comfortable. The housekeeping staff was thorough and efficient. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. The breakfast attendant was very attentive to us and other guests. The check-out experience was satisfactory...no problems.

Hotel was clean and great quality for the price. Location was perfect. Close to convention center, restaurants, shopping, and area attractions. Indoor pool and 2 outdoor pools. Nice mountain views.

    « Beautiful view »

We picked Best Western plaza because they had rooms with private balconies that have mountain views. Wow our room was on the 5th floor and the views were wonderful!!!! It was clean and we had towels on the bed made into a swan. There were 3 pools and 2 hot tubs. 2 outside and one indoors. We used the indoor one every night. The last night we used the biggest outside pool. Was so nice. The only problem we had was on our last night. The hot tub in the inside was way too hot. We notified the staff. Not sure what they did as we left the next day. We would stay here again!!!

« Nice Hotel close to amenities »

I have stayed at this hotel on several previous occasions & have not been disappointed. The reception staffs are very pleasant & willing to assist with any queries. The room had all the amenities I require TV, Fridge, Iron, coffee not to mention the large bed. There is an ice machine & vending machine situated down the corridor, Breakfast is quite comprehensive, there is a waffle maker, Biscuits & Gravy, Sausage Patties with scrambled egg, Cereal, fruit, toast along with juices, tea / coffee. This is a good way to start my day. There is a large car park and parking is no problem. There are pools which I have not tried. Location is perfect for a non-driver as it is a few minutes from the trolley stop serving neighbouring areas; I have walked quite a way down the parkway so if you are active then local amenities can be reached this way along with a good selection of eateries. It is close to the smoky mountain national park and about an hour's drive from Knoxville. I believe it is good value for money. The hotel caters for both singles & families.

This Hotel is a wonderful place to stay, this was our 3rd visit here. It has been upgraded since our last stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean, it has internet, the food was very good and has both hot and cold items. « Stay away »

The hotel wasn't horrible but I wouldn't come back here nor would I recommend this place to anyone. The customer service was mediocre; no one really made me feel like my presence was welcomed (not sure if it was a race thing). The rooms had a musty odor. I would definitely recommend some renovating. The carpets felt dirty and old and the bed was not comfortable at all. One thing that I didn't like was that there were about 5 separate buildings that made up the hotel. I found this to be inconvenient. There was a separate building for the indoor pool, another building for the front desk, another building for the continental breakfast, and several more random buildings. It was a bit annoying to have to walk outside to access everything, as opposed to just taking an elevator up and down the floors of one building. The main reason why I gave this hotel one star is because of one experience we had in particular. We went to the indoor pool late one night and ended up being louder than we realized. We ended up getting kicked out of the pool by the property security guard (which we were not upset about at all). I wasn't upset for being kicked out of the pool because at the end of the day, it was technically closed. The issue with the indoor pool is that it was circled in by guest rooms, therefore, the area echoes. I genuinely didn't think we were too loud but I'm guessing our voices carried and made it seem louder than it was. Also, there was no sign on the entrance door showing the hours of the pool, so we assumed that it was open 24 hours. The main issue that we had with this situation is HOW we were told to leave the pool. When the security guard first approached us, he asked for my name and room number about 3 times... basically insinuating that we were random bums using their pool, which I found quite offensive. The security guard then felt the need to word for word repeat back what the complaint was, which was: "There are 3 black people in pool".... Black people? Pointing out our race was irrelevant to the true issue at hand and that information could have been withheld. I'd rather him tell us that we are being loud or even tell us that we are in the pool past the curfew time and kept it at that. But why include anything about race? He turned it from a disruption issue into a race issue. I found that to be very unprofessional and was highly turned off. I mentioned it to the two young ladies at the front desk before checking out and they seemed pretty unbothered by it. They mentioned "passing the message on to their manager", but I waited one entire month and haven't heard anything from any of the staff members. Average quality hotel and poor customer service. If I were you, I'd stay away; not horrible but it's overall not worth it.

We meet here every year for our annual reunion. BW Plaza Inn takes very good care of us and everyone else as far as I can see. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds. « Excellent Hotel at Reasonable Rate »

Everything about this hotel was top notch from the easy check in, quality of the room decor, cleanliness, quality of breakfast and friendly staff. The ladies, Janice and Maria in the dining area, were personable, diligent in making sure all items were always well stocked and always with a smile and conversation with the guests. The housekeeper, Fortina, makes small animals by folding the towels and placing them on the beds which provides a nice and unique welcome ! The next day after checkout, I thought I had left my GPS in the room and called to speak to Michael the Manager who went to the room with the housekeeper and moved furniture looking for it. I later found the GPS in our car. I truly was impressed with his efforts and his concern. Would definitely choose this Best Western if in this area in the future.

« Great Place to Stay! »

The rooms are EXTRA large, the food is great, the staff is super nice, the pools are clean and have towels stocked. We have 5 people in our family and BW has a room that is like an apartment. We all fit comfortably and it has a full kitchen. Talk about amazing! We didn't trip all over each other. Especially since everyone wants their own beds. We always have to take a cot with us and it fit perfectly out of the way. We even kept it up all day. The indoor pool was a blast and this time we went to the outdoor pool. So much fun. We even had to cut our trip short and got a refund on the night! That is unimaginable! No questions asked! Oh and super comfortable beds! and right by the turn off for Dollywood! Perfect place to stay!

    « The Tucker Review »

We were very pleased with the hotel. Our ham radio group, The Afternoon 68 Group and the Corn Cob Net, picked this hotel for our annual gathering. The group has stayed here before. My only slight complaint is that the air conditioning unit did not seem to perform well. We had to set it to the lowest setting we could attain (60 degrees) to get a comfortable temperature. Other than that, we are very pleased and would certainly recommend Best Western Hotel.

    4
    « Nice Hotel »

We have stayed here several times. The Indoor pool is not the cleanest in the world and the room wasn't extremely clean, but I would stay there again. I'm pretty picky about the cleanliness of the rooms but this was clean enough for our liking.

    « Family get away »

We stayed at the Best Western Plaza Inn for a visit to Dollywood. Our room was by the inside pool. Everything about the hotel was great and we had a fun time. The pool was a good way to relax after a long day at the park, and the hot tub was just right. The breakfast was good but wish they had more items to choose from.

    « Convenient and Clean »

We recently spent 3 nights at this Best Western. It was very convenient to Dollywood and other attractions in Pigeon Forge. Our room was very clean. The housekeeper even created swans out of towels!! Our only disappointment was with the GUYS at the front desk. They were not friendly or helpful at all. (A woman at the front desk was more helpful with another couple checking in.) We went back to ask for directions and suggestions, with almost NO response from the GUYS at the front desk.

I was looking for a hotel in the heart of pigeon forge with an indoor pool. Best Western fit the bill. It was clean, well maintained and I felt safe. The room I had had a fridge, microwave, jetted tub and fireplace. Very nice for only $100 a night.

    « BW Plaza - Good Location! »

The room was clean - We however had trouble with the toilet. Had to call the front desk and received prompt service. Bed wasn't the most comfortable... but I've also had worse. We were missing a small item after the room was cleaned. We are looking in our luggage to see if it was just misplaced... but haven't found it yet! That is my only displeasure with this hotel. Although the item was small it has a higher value and we are upset that it is gone. The breakfast was good - and they moved the "PACKED" hotel thru very quickly. With the missing item - I do not know whether to say the "service" was good or not.

Friendly front office staff, cleaning service was really good but one of the best kept secrets is the continental breakfast that is serviced every morning. My husband and I came to this hotel for our 7 yr Anniversary. We stayed 4 nights in room 205. We arrived April 9th 2016. We really enjoyed our stay here and we were really impressed with all the updates in the room and the indoor pool area. We loved the bed and the pillows, everything was very clean and the bed was soft. Breakfast was really good as you get a full hot breakfast. The staff was extremely friendly. We will definitely be coming back to stay here again in the future.

I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    « Nice stay »

I would recommend this hotel. It was clean and had a good location to the attractions in Pigeon Forge. The breakfast was great and it was nice that it was in a separate area. They did a great job keeping the food fresh and hot. The only thing we were disappointed in was the indoor pool. I felt it could have been cleaner. The outdoor pool was great and heated so the kids were able to enjoy it even though it was only about 55-60 at night. I would stay there again

    « Acceptable accommodation »

It is a standard mid-level hotel with standard facilities. I would say, it is an average Best Western. The hotel is being renovated, as of April 2016. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Did not try their breakfast. The location is good, close to various attractions and entertainment.

« Do Not Get a Pool Room! »

After much research I picked this hotel because of the indoor pool and rooms that have access directly to the pool. It is amazingly convenient. It is just way to loud. You cannot get any rest. Pool stays open til 10:30 pm and if you are lucky people are out by 11am. All day long the pool is full so no day time napping. Check in was quick and easy but staff was not very welcoming. Room has been clean and comfy and the layout was nice. Breakfast was good! I would stay here again just not by the pool!

    4
    « Spring break trip »

The rooms were really big and pretty clean. I never heard any of the people in the other rooms so it must be insulated well. The indoor pool was nice but not very warm and the water was blue/green. The outdoor pool is really pretty but the hot tub outside did not work right. The continental breakfast was excellent. Home cooked breakfast every morning for free!! Janis and Maria took good care of us for breakfast everyday!

« You Get What You Pay For »

We chose the Best Western Plaza Inn based on its decent review at Trip Advisor, its very reasonable price, and its proximity to other attractions we planned to see. We got exactly what we paid for: a clean but no-frills place to sleep, free breakfast of decent quality, and a nice indoor pool area. The outdoor pools looked inviting, but it was just too cold (in March) to be out there. The worst part of our experience was the uncomfortable beds and cheap, flat pillows. None of us slept very soundly during our stay. The best parts were the excellent customer service provided by everyone, from the front desk staff, to the breakfast crew, to the cleaning ladies. Every single person we encountered was friendly and helpful. We also liked our room. We paid a little extra for a room at the back of the property facing the creek. It was larger than average, with a gas fireplace that our boys enjoyed after returning chilly from a swim in that great indoor pool area. Overall, this was a great choice for the price. I might splurge a little next time and stay in a nicer hotel.

    « GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT »

For years now we have went to this hotel 1-2 times a year. We always request the same room. this year was different; they gave away our room to someone else who checked in before us. We requested a pool room on the first floor. We were given a pool room on the second floor. The hotel staff made it clear that they did not care about our concerns; to them a pool room is a pool room, that we should be happy and settle for what we got. Very disappointed in the customer service. The phone in our room did not work, the TC channels worked some of the time; other times you got a couple of stations. There was no extra blankets for the room; my daughter's hot and I am cold. Since the phone did not work you had to go to front office and ask for some only to be told they would try to find you one and send it over. Still waiting. Internet was hit and miss.

« Great location but room was not very good »

Great location, next to Dixie Stampede and in walking distance of many stores. This is important because you wouldn't want to drive down the main strip that much, always stop and go traffic. The room we had was musty and the water kept changing temperatures during showering. Was not impressed with the room and breakfast was always jam packed.

    « Don't get a pool room!! »

#1 Very nice hotel for the money. We got a room in the indoor pool area.... holy bat crap those rooms are NOT insulated. Which means 2 things, 1 while trying to relax in the evening the t.v. only goes to 100 and it's still not loud enough, #2 all night long you listen to the waterfall, it sounds like a a fan being on. We were on the 2nd floor, the echoing of people talking and kids laughing is really loud. Please keep in mind we were here on Spring Break so it's extra busy this week, there literally was about 60 people in the indoor pool area lastnight it was extremely loud... If you coming in from severiaville go passed the hotel and turn around to get into the entrance. Now as far as the room... nice when you walk in, fireplace, never used, the kitchen area is nice. My only complaint really about the room is something about the bathroom wasn't right. Don't really know if it was the fact that it just needs updated, or wasn't super clean or something I don't know, just something about it was off from the rest of the room. Probably would stay again, worth the money but in reality probably wouldn't just because there's so many places to stay down here and we like to try something new.... happy trails!

    « Janis and Maria »

The breakfast served by Janis and Maria is like a home cooked breakfast. They're very nice servers. I recommend this place to anyone that wants to go tourism during the spring or summer seasons. Was a pleasure and hope to come back next time ??.

« We LOVE it here! »

We stayed here for Spring Break 2016. We have stayed here multiple times before and absolutely love it! Everyone is so nice, the rooms and facilities are so clean. The breakfast is amazing. We will continue to come back time and time again!

We choose Best Western Plaza Hotel every time we stay in Pigeon Forge. The rooms are clean, modern, and well maintained. The indoor pool is nice. The staff is extra friendly and helpful. And I have to mention the breakfast is awesome. We look forward to going back.

    « Disappointing! »

I knew this was not going to be a 4 star hotel but after reading the reviews I thought it must be a decent hotel. I was WRONG. The hotel is very old and it shows. We had the "indoor" building in the back of the property and the musty smell hits you as soon as you walk in. The elevator was a little scary and said the occupy permit was in the office. NEVER saw that before. Could not find the stairs because there were no signs. The room appeared clean however it smelled worse than the lobby. I had to spray my perfume to help cover it up. I could literally hear the people next door talking, sneezing, etc. Then at 6:30 am I assume the person above us decided to take a shower. It was soooo loud and was making a vibrating noise. In any case, we won't be back.....

« Clean, Quiet and Safe »

Large and quiet rooms. Not fancy but clean. Breakfast area looked great and located for everyone staying to get to. Indoor pool nice but small. Comfy beds and clean bathrooms. Safe area to stay. Close to lots of attractions but not too close.

My mom and I always stay at the Plaza Inn Hotel when we visit Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. We visit very frequently and love the staff, service and rooms. The staff is very pleasant and the rooms are clean. We have never experienced any problems while there and we will continue to stay at this hotel.

« Great Weekend Place to Stay »

Our room was very comfortable, well decorated and roomy. It was close to restaurants and activities. We have stayed here several times and also enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. The breakfast is very good and enough food for anyone. We will definitely stay here again.

« Best for the value! »

We stayed here for spring break with 1 child. The price, free breakfast, indoor pool, and being Best Western attracted me to this hotel! The room was clean and had no issues there! The entire staff was helpful. The women of the kitchen ran their tails off to prepare so much food for so many people. The downside... It is an older best western so it is a motel type setting. You have to walk outside to get to the indoor pool and breakfast area. Noise control outside of your hotel door is needed.

« Not starting off well... »

We have only stayed one night so far, but it's not going very well. We arrived around 6 pm on Mar 22 2016. Our greeting was not overwhelmingly friendly, but we overlooked it. When we got to our room, we were pleased that the room was generally how we expected it to look. FYI, we paid extra per night for an in-room jacuzzi, fireplace, and river view. The jacuzzi wasn't at all inviting, and the fireplace wasn't working. We then looked at our "river view" and agreed it was disappointing. In hindsight, we wouldn't pay extra again for that view or the other amenities. We called about the fireplace and were told it had been turned off since the weather had been warm lately (which it had). We asked to have it turned on since when we arrived, it was in still cool at night. The front desk person said he would send someone up. No one ever showed or called. This morning, we headed over for the complimentary breakfast. There were around 30 people waiting in line at 8:30, so we got coffee and took it back to our room. We proceeded to shower and noticed that the sink was plugged and draining very slowly, so we had to run a trickle of water while shaving. As we were leaving the room to start our day, I found someone else's black sock laying beside the dresser. I'm assuming it was the previous occupant versus more than one previous occupant. When we returned from a full day, our room had not been cleaned. We called the front desk and were told that they would send up some fresh towels. We responded that we preferred to have our room cleaned and were told that the maid service would be contacted to try to arrange cleaning. Since we assumed someone would be coming to clean our room, we decided to go out for a cup of coffee. On our way out, we stopped by the front office to verify the cleaning and make sure that they knew it was ok to go in the room while we were out. We were then told that there was no way to have the room cleaned and that there was a "do not disturb" sign on the door, so it wasn't cleaned. We had left around 10 am and knew there was no sign on the door. There was no attempt to make it right other than offering fresh towels. We are considering finding a last minute booking elsewhere since we have 3 more nights before we leave.

« Best Place to Stay in Pigeon Forge »

The rooms are very large! The suite was awesome with a fully functional kitchen, big bathroom, plenty of sleeping space and even tons of floor space. There were 5 of us and we weren't on top of each other at all. The indoor pool was fantastic! The staff was friendly, the breakfast was great. I will stay here again and again! It is also right by Veterans Blvd. where you turn to go to Dollywood.

    4
    « Nice Hotel »

Front desk staff were superb with courtesy, and speed of check-in. Cost and location is good for value. Easy to visit Dollywood. Stayed for a short visit with my wife. We've stayed here before. The room was nice with a King Bed. The bed was firm and not as comfortable as like with a softer mattress. We had a room facing the creek side which was nice. However, its close to the rear road at the back of the hotel. I could hear cars driving occasionally in the night and even more when the workday was beginning between 6 AM - 8 AM. Then there was construction going on in an adjacent lot with bulldozers. I didn't sleep very well. But would choose a room in the middle of the hotel complex in the future. The breakfast is good, but limited with eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffle and some cereals. Coffee and juice were fine. It is very crowded in the sitting area and can be difficult to get a seat. We stood and waited about 10 minutes for a table to open up with our breakfast in hand.

    « Great »

This a great place to stay. it was very clean and convenient to all attractions. A layout of the hotel would have been nice. We could not locate the breakfast and the one cup of coffee in the room was not enough and was not very good.

« affordable and nice hotel for kids »

We have stayed here twice both times in the building with the pool which is very convenient for those travelling with children. Great price, nice amenities and the location is central to most of the attractions in Pigeon Forge.

    4
    « Nice, Friendly Place »

We arrived at 1:00 pm, but we were allowed to check in early because our room was empty and clean. This meant a lot to us because our trip was short and every minute counted. We got the indoor pool access room, and we love it. The balcony overlooking the parkway is fun for us although I can see why someone would prefer a creek view. BW staff is friendly and helpful. We had no problems whatsoever except sometimes the water temps in the shower fluctuate unexpectedly. I don't really consider that a major inconvenience worth leaving a poor review. We have stayed there several times in the past and would definitely stay again.

    5
« Great Location, Staff and Value »

I would stay here again. Reasonable, location is great (once you learn to enter from River Road), rooms generous, quiet even though it was a full property. Quiet between the rooms, and no overhead noise at all. WiFi great, breakfast is average. At room parking (ground floor). Great location for Dollywood.

    4
« Clean and affordable. Close to Dollywood., »

Clean rooms. Nice view over the pool. Mountain view. 5th floor room. Great front desk service. Decor was pleasant. Air conditioner was perfect temp. Beds are uber comfy. Great price. Close to Dollywood and main drag

    3
« OK hotel for the price »

The hotel was fairly descent for the price, however room that I was in smelled like mildew and the faucets were leaking. The outside hot tub is not hot at all, it just basically makes bubbles. They do offer an indoor pool, but if there are over 5 people in it, especially if they are big people, you want have room.

    5
« One of the Best »

This is one of the best hotels in the area. The staff is most helpful, the rooms are big, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is one of the best. It was a full hot bar with scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy and waffles. It also included cold cereals, bread for toast, fruits, and anything else you could imagine. I have stayed here before and will be back!

    5
    « Excellent Hotel - Great Location! »

This is a fantastic hotel. We have stayed here about twice a year for the last 7 years. All the staff are super friendly from the desk staff to the maintenance staff and housekeeping. The rooms are exceptionally clean, well decorated, large, and are very quiet. The continental breakfast, located in it's own building, is very good with a variety of breakfast items, hot and cold. The owner has done an excellent job updating the motel. This past week they were installing new ceramic tile in the elevator. There are 2 outside pools and one inside pool. There is free-wifi which was adequate for what we needed during our stay. The location of the motel is great, next door to the Dixie Stampede, short drive to Dollywood, and close to both the Old Mill area and the new Island area. The room rates are very reasonable. We highly recommend this motel to all travelers visiting the area. We will continue to stay here during each visit.

    « Awesome weekend »

After looking at and comparing motels in Pigeon Forge, we decided to give this one a try. We were so glad that we did! Nice rooms, great breakfast and fun pool. The staff was very professional while extremely friendly. All grounds and buildings were free of trash and always smelled fresh and clean. This is our new favorite place to stay when visiting the Smokey Mountains!

    « Vacation »

One of the best places to stay in pigeon forge. We stay here every time we come 4-5 times now. Always clean staff is friendly and helpful. And it has the best continental breakfasts out of any where I have stayed. Full hot breakfast. Would recommend it to anyone coming to the area

    4
    « Nice but noisy »

Room was fine, very clean. Check in was smooth and staff was very friendly. Rooms were updated and beds very comfy. Only real complaint was that the walls were very thin, I woke up thinking someone was in our room but it was someone in the room next door. Housekeeping carts started rolling by very early and it sounded like they were in the room as well! Breakfast was standard free hotel breakfast, we did like the teddy bear shaped waffles!

    « Loved this place!! »

We stayed in the 3 bed suite for a week during family vacation and it as one of the best hotel stays we've had. The customer service was wonderful, the housekeeping kept out towels stocked and beds made everyday. The breakfast area was always clean and stocked with foods. I would highly recommend this hotel!!

    « Amazing »

I went through a lot of places and found this hotel. It was a short vacation (2 nights) and I loved this place. (writing this in 2016 and I plan on staying here again in a few days. I had the king size bed and everything looked great. The pools were clean; I loved that they had two. In the indoor pool area there are hotel rooms surrounding it which I found weird but I guess some people want to be right there in with the pool. The only bad thing I saw was there is no walk way between breakfast room and the hotel. The breakfast room is in a different building which is kind of cool. If you stay on the side of the road rooms (anything facing the road) then you have to walk through this little tunnel where the cars drive through to get to the back side of the hotel. Overall a great place, everybody was friendly.

« Very clean and nice breakfast »

We stayed 4 nights in Gatlinburg and driving through Pigeon Forge we decided to stay one more night so we stayed here. The motel was very clean, staff was very friendly when I came in the door, pool and hot tub was very nice and a huge breakfast in the morning. All the sausage, eggs, bisquits and gravy, cereal, and waffles you could eat. Wish we had stayed her the entire trip. We talked to another couple in the hot tub and they said they had been coming to this hotel for the last 20 years. I can see why! Thanks

    « Great Family Stay »

My family and extended family enjoyed a weekend stay. Rooms are clean and staff was helpful and friendly. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool and the breakfast was very large including biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, pastries, etc. Would stay again.

« Really Nice Place to Stay »

Friendly staff and very welcoming upon arrival. Room was clean, well stocked, and had a nice TV. The pool area is warm and inviting although the chlorine level was a bit high as was evident by my burning eyes. The breakfast was better than most but if the hotel is sold out, you better be there early or else you'll find yourself waiting in a line that stretches outside of the dining area; I reject this on principle. I would stay here again if I needed to as it is a really nice place. The rates are reasonable, the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are nice, and the location is convenient to all surrounding attractions. Plain and simple it's just a really nice place to stay.

    « Valentine Weekend »

Clean, very spacious room. We had a balcony facing the river which was very nice. It is a private balcony other than the small road separating the hotel and the river. Our room had a mini fridge, microwave, iron, hair dryer and coffee maker. I was surprised to find a fireplace in our room although it wouldn't come on. The breakfast in the morning was great. A lot of variety so no need to eat breakfast else where. I would recommend this hotel to others.

    « Nice and clean »

This is the motel my family always stayed at when I was a kid but I hadn't been back to it in 24 years. We recently spent Valentine's weekend here and I was very happy to see that the property has been maintained very well. The rooms were clean and updated and the grounds were immaculate. The front desk staff was very friendly and the cleaning staff was very prompt on cleaning our room. The beds were some of the most comfortable that we have slept on in a motel. We will definitely be back.

    « Nightmare Hotel »

My wife and I had a very late check in(Midnight) and were only planning on showering and sleeping for a few hours. The lobby was a disaster and the woman at check in was not clean either. As soon as we got into our room we sat things down and I checked out the bathroom. My wife checked our bed. The sheets had clearly not been changed from the previous guests. The sheets had tons of what appeared to be certain body hairs which made us not even want to lay down. I attempted to shower but was forced to put towels in the floor to walk on because the floor was sticky. I tried to pull back the shower curtain and the curtain had crust on it from God knows what and I had to pull it apart. Nasty! There were tons of hairs on the shower as well as the sink. It was apparent that this room had not been cleaned at all. We have stayed at other Best Westerns and never had an issue. This is the first nasty one that we have stayed in. We travel often and love staying in Best Westerns but we will not be staying in them any longer. The room was that bad..

    « Elopement/honeymoon »

The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful at checkin. The room was clean and newly remodeled. The hotel has great access to the parkway and Dollywood. The continental breakfast they provide is great as well! They offered warm biscuits, gravy, sausage, scrambled eggs, a variety of cereals, toast, bagels, honey buns and waffle makers that make waffles in the shape of bears. We enjoyed our get a way and stay.

    5
    « Great Location! »

Very clean rooms...friendly staff...would stay there again...reasonably priced...up dating lobby at the time of my visit...older motel but well kept...very conveniently located for all the attractions and not a long drive to Gatlinburg..Very close to eateries...

« Pool Access Rooms are great! »

This hotel is one of the best in the Best Western chain. We have stayed here before and experienced great service. This time we requested a pool access room. These rooms are well worth the small extra charge. The room we stayed in was larger than a standard room, had an extra sofa, fireplace, and balcony facing the parkway. The pool access allowed our group to meet and socialize. What a wonderful way to chase away the "winter blues"!

    5
« Our Favorite Place in Pigeon Forge »

This is our favorite place to stay when we visit Pigeon Forge. We always choose a room in the back of the hotel with a balcony (even though it was too cold on this visit to enjoy it). On this visit we were on the 5th floor. Our room was big with all the usual amenities (microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc.) The only problem we had was in trying to get the heat adjusted. The unit blows air constantly and when it's blowing warm air, it gets hot in there, but when it's blowing cold air, it gets too cool in the room. We tried different settings and finally just layered in our clothing so we could remove when it was warm and bundle up when it was blowing cold air. The breakfast was great featuring biscuits and gravy, bear-shaped waffles, cereal, danish, etc. This hotel is highly recommended.

    « Great »

This hotel is great for families. It has 3 pools in all. There is 2 outside and 1 inside. The weather is never a problem, there is always a place for the kids to play. No matter what time of year this hotel is a great place to stay. With the indoor pool and hot tub its a great place to relax while its cold outside. It's in a great location. You can walk to all the shops and kids activities your heart can hold.

    « Always enjoyable »

We have been to Pigeon Forge countless times over the past 15 years. B-W Plaza Inn was the first one we stayed at years ago. We have ventured to stay at a few others in Pigeon Forge, but keep coming back to this one. In our view, it can't be beat for value. We have never had a significant complaint. What we like about this place is its location, friendly and helpful reception staff, cleanliness always, ample rooms and excellent hot breakfast in a stand-alone breakfast room on the premises. This will always be our first choice in Pigeon Forge.

    5
    « Wonderful Stay! »

This was our 3rd visit to this property and it won't be our last. The staff is exceptional, as well as the cleanliness and amenities. The breakfast is great too. « Hotel was okay, but never could use wi-fi »

This hotel was okay for the money. It was within walking distance of the Dixie Stampede, which was great for us. The breakfast was good. The beds weren't very soft, a little stiff by my standards. And no one in my family could ever connect to the hotel's wi-fi. We finally had to call the hotel's IT support, and still did not get a resolution to our problem. We think the router was bad or needed to be re-booted.

    4
    « Good stay »

We enjoyed our stay here. We didn't realize but Pigeon Forge has lots to do! I was worried because it was much cheaper vs. Gatlinburg, but we ended up spending just as much time in Pigeon Forge. The room was fine and check in was easy. The breakfast was so packed- not sure if there is a good time to go, we always had to wait a while. (and sit outside to eat.) The waffles were good.

    5
« Great Price, Great Location, Great Staff! »

The room was very clean and spacious. Good size flat screen TV, fridge, microwave & hair dryer. On site laundry, outdoor & heated indoor pool with small hot tub. Hot breakfast but the breakfast room is a little small considering how many rooms there are and the potential number of guests. Get there early or you'll have to stand in a long line and won't have anywhere to sit. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly.

« Rating our stay at Best Western Plaza Inn »

Everyone friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was good and clean area. Location good. Restaurants close and easy to get to Dollywood. Trolly stop close. Area easy to walk to different stores, grocery or anything needed while staying. Biggest problem was breakfast area to small for all the people, but you can eat outside or fix your plate and take it to your room.

This is our favorite place to stay in Pigeon Forge! Great location, great rooms, great value! Wonderful hot breakfast included. Our family of five plus a baby had plenty of space in the 3 queen bed suite. It was great! the teenagers had the loft space with there own bed, bathroom and tv!

    « Great Place »

This Hotel is great. The staff is always nice and helpful in any way. The prices are great which allows us to make trips to the area more often throughout the year. The rooms are clean. The location of the hotel allows easy access to (walking distance) to go-cart tracks, the dixie stampede. Why pay big prices for a fancy motel when you can get the same service here.

« Vacation in the smokies »

We took out 8 yr old granddaughter for her first visit to the smokies and it had been several years since we had been. This place has 3 pools to relax in 2 on outside and 1 inside. While we were there it rained for a couple days so our granddaughter got to still play in a pool. We were close to the Dixie Stampede so walking was pleasant. This was truly our best visit to the mountains. Looking forward to our next trip there.

« excellent place to stay »

I've stayed here many times before and will upon returning to the area. The pools are really decent, property well kept up, reefer and micro in room. the only bad thing I can say was this time we were leaving early in the morning, breakfast doesn't start till 7 AM, I had hoped it would be 6 as most travelers want to be on the road by 7, sadly we didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. I would suggest anyone traveling the area stop at this hotel as it's close to everything including Gatlinburg.

After a long day at Dollywood and plus all the shopping we did at the Island in Pigeon Forge. This was a nice, clean and comfortable place. The breakfast next morning was awesome and free. I will stay here again.

    « Christmas lights »

Hotel decorated nicely for Christmas. We went to PF to see the lights and they were quite beautiful. Enjoyable peaceful time. Went on a Sunday and the rates were much lower than they are on weekend days. PF very slow just before the holidays so it was nice not to have to fight traffic or wait in restaurants.

    « Great Motel »

We stay at this motel every year for our anniversary and we love it. It is located close to a lot of attractions and restaurants that most people would be interested in. The motel is a simple motel, not real fancy. It is clean and well kept up. The rooms are nice and large. The breakfast is great. The surroundings are quiet. It is a great place to stay.

« Christmas in Pigeon Forge »

We stayed for two nights and everything was very satisfactory. Our room was on the 5th floor with a balcony view of the mountains. We enjoyed walking to restaurants and the walk beside the river was nice. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. We would stay here again. Would have liked to have coffee offered in the lobby. I don't like to use the coffee machines in the room. Restaurants were very close so we just walked to pick up some.

    « not as expected »

Booked double beds online, but on check in was given a single king bed. Got rooms switched (for a fee of course, they said they didn't have available what I booked online) and the new room was correct, but there was a dirty diaper and takeout food in the trash. Also in the bathroom there were bugs on the floor and one roll of toilet paper for 4 people to use. The property was nice and the breakfast was excellent, just disappointed in the room.

    « Overall decent hotel »

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and I usually have a good experience. The breakfast is usually good but it can get busy so get there early before the crowd does. I have only had one incident where there was a used bar of soap left in the room on the bathtub. Kind of gross but most of my other experiences have been good.

    « Everything you need. »

Plaza Inn is always welcoming and friendly. It has always been very clean. We enjoy the size of the mini-fridge and microwave, as we always have leftovers we like to enjoy the next day. Their breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I've ever had.

    « Satisfaction »

We have stayed at this hotel for the past 5-8 years and we never even call another hotel when we come south. It is the nicest, cleanest and friendly hotel. The location is great also, as we head out the back and hit Veteran's Highway for short cuts. Our daughter and her family stayed with us this year and was very pleased also.

    « Thanksgiving »

It was so relaxing and the staff was so pleasant, you never have to worry about your personal belongings as the housekeeping are very honest. The new face lift in the pool area was in process and looked really nice, I noticed they also changed the fencing around the outside pool that was also nice. The breakfast offered a lot of selections, so the price in reality was worth every dime.

    « Will visit again »

Arrived wed before thanksgiving and town was packed! Got to the hotel located next to dixie stampede and found that we got just what we ordered. 2 queen beds in back section which is newer. We requested top floor, quiet. We were given just that. I was surprised because we were the first room off the elevator but heard NO NOISE at all from the elevator or candy machine (all other vending and ice are on 2nd floor even though the sign says 4th and 2nd). We had a very large room compared to other rooms weve seen. Balcony was nice and had a nice view of mts. Be sure to utilize the rd behind the hotel for easy access to Teaster and Veterans rds which is like a bipass for the traffic. Room was clean, comfortable and we will return. Great location. Kind staff.

    « crappy wifi »

hotel itself wasn't bad, staff nice, but OUTDATED NO GOOD WIFI ! they only have a router every so many rooms and with all the "halls" and 'wings" off of this building and more than one building, they need to have a higher powered wifi system, and have routers for every room! right now, I am sitting in the lobby and guest wifi still only has 3 bars strength and I am right next to public computer for here. the business wifi (which of course public can't access) has a full 5 bars of strength. Staff is nice, not their fault

    4
« Short and sweet trip »

Stayed here for two nights the weekend before Thanksgiving, was very busy around the area, the room was very clean and more than satisfactory for comfort. The breakfast area looked quaint decorated like country but was a little small considering the hotel capacity and made you feel very rushed while people waited in lines for tables and food.

    4
    « Great room! »

The room was clean and great. No problems with WIFI, Jacuzzi tub or fireplace. My only problem with the stay was that the bed was way too firm. Granted my bed at home is soft!! Had a 5th floor room with balcony overlooking the river. I suggest a lower floor just so you're not looking through the power lines. The bathroom needed some fit and finish work but everything else was good!

« Vacation and Christmas lights »

This year we chose a different type of room at this hotel. We picked a room that has a kitchen and hot tub in the room. It was very nice. There was only service in the kitchen for 4. We are looking forward to using this again next year for the family vacation. We have never had bad service while staying here. There are 3 pool options. 2 outside and one inside. The only down fall is that we are above the indoor pool. Noise can be loud sometimes but it closes at 10:00 pm sharp and all is quiet. Don't forget to enjoy the Christmas lights if coming down during Thanksgiving - Christmas.

    « Nice comfy stay!! »

The front desk staff was extremely friendly. Our room 123 was very nice and clean and appeared updated. The room did not have a bad odor. There was a fridge and microwave that appeared good as new and the fridge kept our drinks cold. The bed was a very comfy king size and me and my husband slept great! We did not check out the pool area. The breakfast was your basic continental breakfast nothing more nothing less than other hotel/motels. The breakfast area was nice and clean and had friendly staff. They had probably 12 to 13 tables that seated 4 people, they also had outdoor seating available but the temp was to cold to sit outside. We Would stay here again.

    « Dollywood Christmas lights »

Nov 20-23 2015 visit. Chose mountain view room around back and found room to be very clean and comfortable. Great location to see the sights and shopping trip. Housekeeper Donna was friendly and kept the room neat and clean daily. Found this part of hotel to be quiet and the rear parking easier to avoid the heavy traffic.

    2
    « Run down »

This hotel is in need of a facelift. The beds are not comfortable and the room we stayed in had a very bad odor. Our room was right beside the tunnel that leads to the back of the property and it was quite dangerous to park there, due to the heavy traffic coming in and out. The breakfast room was very small and did not allow for alot of seating. If you have a hotel of this size, you should invest in a larger room for your guest to eat their meal. On a positive note, the water pressure in the shower was great!

    4
« Great Place To Stay »

The hotel is older, however, it has be kept up to date and most importantly, it was CLEAN. Staff was prompt, friendly and helpful. Breakfast room is new and very nice with a good, free, warm breakfast.

« Average stay durinmg a busy season of year »

Overall hotel was what is expected for the price mark, clean and functional. As with most hotels, the trend to the use of many small (often very uncomfortable) pillows on the beds rather then the traditional pillows that are used in most all homes is a mistake in a major way. Travelers want comfort much more then any décor options. Three nights of these small, flat, lumpy pillows left me with a neck ache that took two days to go away.

    « FAMILY MEET »

We got to Gatlinberg from Kentucky with my In-laws and I called my brother in Dahlonega Georgia ans asked him to meet us. I was staying tin the Best Western Toni Inn but they did not nave additional rooms so I went across the street and made reservations here for my Brother, his wife, and my mother. They enjoyed the stay, room was clean and neat, beds were comfortable and breakfast was great.

Almost every trip we take, we stay at a Best Western no matter where we go. We love the service we receive for the price we pay. The employees here were helpful in every way, and the room was cleaned by Michelle and she did a wonderful job. Breakfast was really good. We will definitely be staying here again.

Hotel was in great location (Dollywood Theme Park and Dixie Stampede. Location was our main reason for choosing this hotel. Price of room were reasonable. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel staff was super. Rooms in heated pool area are very noisy----when guest are using pool---pool did not close until 10:30 pm. Staff were prompt ensuring people were out of the pool at closing time. Pool should close earlier NLT 9 PM.

    « Another Great Stay »

Our first stay was in 1994 and for the next 15 years we stayed here at least once a year sometimes twice. It has been 6 years since our last visit and just like in the past, everything was outstanding. We have stayed in rooms that overlook the river, rooms with fireplaces and just basic rooms and they all have been in excellent condition. The employees are some of the nicest people we have ever dealt with in our travels. We have had others travel with us at times and no one has ever had a complaint about this hotel. Excellent describes their employees, their rooms, their free breakfast and their location.

This was the 4th time staying at the B/W Plaza Inn. I reserved a room in the pool Building. The next morning when we went to breakfast, they were painting the area around the pool I asked if we could change Rooms, that the paint fumes were bothering My wife, the lady did not hesitate about changing me to another room we settled in to the new room and the rest of the weekend went fantabulas The rooms are clean, spachious, staff very friendly. the Breakfast area can get a little crowded at times but no problem with the tables out on the porch. I`m already planning a few trips for next year, and will book the Plaza Inn again..

    « We will return. »

The only thing that I have to say that is negative is in a no smoking room I still smelled the smoke from neighbors smoking out on their balconies. The location is convenient to anywhere that you would want to go. Overall great experience.

« Western Plaze Inn with bad pool hours »

We arrived home last night. I have been completing what to write since we pulled out of the drive way yesterday. The hotel was recommended by my parents and other relatives. They love it at this Best Western. I was so excited because of the reviews they give the place. Upon arriving at 11:30pm on Thursday we discovered our fridge was not working. The maintenance man asked me if it was plugged in!!! I felt like he was talking to me like a child. Of course I made sure it was plugged in. He told us it was on defrost and will turn on shortly. It never turned on.... Day two it started working after it was worked on. No note was left for us or a phone call explaining what happened or what we should except. On day 5 we went to pull our ice out and discovered it was melted. Who knows how long the ice had melted and refroze. Now lets move on to the towels. We never had enough towels. They always gave us too many wash clothes. On day 5 which was yesterday morning I went to the front desk at 8:50am to get 4 towels for the pool (they are suppose to have towels in the pool area and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday no towels) and I was asked if I wanted wash clothes. I said no I need the towels for the pool. I was then informed that the pool was going to be closed for repairs until 4:00pm. We check out at 11:00am. I did not see a sign up anywhere. We were never told this once during our stay. When we went to swim on Friday we were told it was closed due to maintenance and would be re-opened at 4:00pm but not told this would occur on Monday as well..... My daughters loved the cold pool and hot tub allot; despite my 7 year old getting cuts on her hands and feet from the bottom of the pool. I absolutely loved that they had a breakfast that really helps with the cost of food on a vacation. I however did not like one of the staff members who was extremely rude to me when I asked a question. Despite the negatives the hotel does have positives: great location, EXTRA CLEAN ROOMS, no noise, great parking, walking distance to food places and entertainment. You get to see all the Christmas lights... If I would not have had my kids with me then I would say it would have been just fine but I did have them and a POOL that works during the hours stated in a MUST. We did receive a $32.00 re-reimbursement however that is not good enough for me... I do not think we will be back here.

    « Nice visit »

We had stayed at this Best Western before & had problems with the Wi-Fi......there was a huge improvement this time. We had no problems with the Wi-Fi connection at all. The room was clean. We think this hotel is a great value.

    « Clean and comfortable »

Hotel is a good value. The rooms are clean and spacious and the beds are comfortable. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Good location. Hot breakfast has good variety and generally very good. Family friendly with indoor and outdoor pools.

    « good central location »

Mainly chosen for proximity to shopping, food, and surrounding attractions. It was convenient to Gatlinburg and some beautiful scenery in the area. The only downside of the location was the traffic situation. Extremely difficult to pull out onto the road or get back across traffic to the parking lot.

    « disappointed start »

Stayed here many times, booked a room last week. Arrived today, paid balance, signed, etc... only then was I informed that the room I booked wasn't available. Put us in lesser room with nothing more than "sorry". Nothing else offered at all. Very disappointed as I have recommended this as to many as a great place to stay for the weekend visit.

    « 3 night stay »

Just finished a three-night stay. Make sure they give you a decent room. First night they put us in room (senior rate) with damp carpet, broken deadlock and construction going on during the day. My aggravation is I think they had a good room available, but chose to put us in a crummy room. Have stayed here several times with no complaints, but probably will not stay here again.

    « None »

All in all we were very comfortable staying at this hotel. It was close for us and transportation was just outside the hotel. The only thing I felt it needed some updates to the decors in the room and the beds and pillows were a little to soft. The staff was excellent and very friendly! I would come back again and also recommend this hotel. The breakfast was great a little different like in a separate part of the hotel altogether. The food was good would have liked a little more variety like adding Bacon and French Toast to the menu. The service was excellent.

    « Don't do it »

The hotel that is in the back of the main hotel is a five story building. It looks like it could have been a stand alone hotel maybe at one time but is now part of Best Western. I have stayed, I always try to stay, with Best Western. I recently stayed at the Dillsboro, NC hotel and it was fabulous. However, this hotel is just terrible. The rooms had bugs coming in under the doors. The wallpaper had been patched and was peeling from the wall. The bathroom tub fill with water as you shower, yes the plunger was open to let water out. The corners of the carpets were thick in dust. The windows were nasty. The room had a foul smell, like must or mold. The people at the desk were just rude and unaccommodating. All in all, it was a really bad experience and I will never go back to this hotel.

« A good time was had by all »

My daughter, grandson and I had a great time in Pigeon Forge at the Best Western Plaza Inn. This hotel is near the Old Mill and other attractions. It was convenient to the trolley line and a short drive to Gatlinburg. The fall decorations were beautiful. The best part of the hotel is in the rear, that where the complimentary breakfast is served. There is a nice out door dining area there. Looking forward to going again......the price was not bad at all.

« Great hotel for the money »

This Best Western is located very close to Dollywood. We have stayed here more than once, and each time were pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms. Hotel staff were very friendly, and the complimentary hot breakfast was a nice bonus that saved us from having to purchase breakfast before heading out to Dollywood. The hotel was reasonably priced. There were cheaper hotels in the general area, but some of them looked a bit shady/seedy.

    « Loved it »

I would definitely recommend Best Western Plaza in Pigeon Forge. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with the entire experience.

    « Average »

We had an oversize king room which was better than expected and would warrant a higher overall rating for this hotel but for a few other things. This is a large hotel offering free breakfast but the breakfast room could no accommodate the number of people wanting to sit and eat. We passed many taking their breakfast back to their room because guests in the dining room where slow to vacate their table. On our arrival we found a bug in our room and reported this to the front desk. House keeping arrived but just to tell us that it was the season for stink bugs and there was not much they could do but they would send someone to clean them up. I killed 20 that evening.

Good room for a vacation a little pricey for an older room but very clean and awesome staff great location. Breakfast is okay long line and have to wait on a table. My wife and I like the Best Western Brand and my rating is based on caparisons with other BW Properties. We enjoyed a nice night in one of the Mountain-view rooms. Larger than standard commercial and had a balcony which was a pleasant surprise. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and nice bed. More than I expected which will prompt us to chose to stay here again. Ample parking, good breakfast and access from the parkway and the "back road".

Me and my family was putting our stuff in the car then all of a sudden we heard a woman name Janice yelling at the housekeeper name Liz telling her to get back on her floor and stay there and she was being so mean and and so disrespectful. Liz told her she was out off coffee and was going to get some. Then Janice told her to hurry up and get back on her floor. If the bosses going to treat their help like this then we will never be back again. The housekeeper was nice she turn around and apologize to us. The rooms was clean and the housekeepers was nice.

I also found it to be very unsafe walking so far to my room.

« Not the best of Best Western »

Well, at first site looked OK, the room looked clean and place overall was kept up. But, there is always a But. That first night going to sleep, I found a bug on the bed which turned out to be a stink bug. Well, for the next 4 days staying there I killed over 40 if them .I spoke up and was told, Oh yes bad year for them. Not what I wanted to hear. I am not paying to sleep and stay with bugs. There is a trolley service in the area, so we used it and left the car at the hotel . Well, they were resurfacing the pool area and my car was part at the end of the row away from it. But, it must have been windy and my car was covered with a tan sand and stuck to the windows and paint. I was told I had to talk to the manager Mike the next day when he was on. I did he looked and I was told sorry. I took it to a car wash and had too run it through twice. He never offered to pay for the car wash. Over all I would say this was the worse Best Western I ever stayed at.
