« Average for Best Western »

I was here for my integration back to business after a great vacation. Breakfast is fine rooms look new, the internet is awful- 2.9 for download/ .36 upload... we have called everyday and they do tweak it so it is a tad better-

« Great Stay in Pahrump »

We had a great stay at the Best Western in Pahrump. The staff was very accommodating. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good. Beds were decent. They provide a sack lunch option for people going to Front Sight. And will have it waiting at the front desk early in the morning. Great prices for the rooms. Great stay, we will be back.

    « Great overnight »

This is my 2nd time to stay here. Last time was 2 years ago. Checkin was easy. Breakfast is typical for BW. Rooms are comfortable and clean. I was surprised we had a fridge and an iron. Not surprised we had a hair dryer but all of the other hotels we stayed at in NV did NOT have one. So that was a nice treat. Beds were comfortable. Linens were clean. Bathroom and floor were clean. In all, we are here late and out early. It's an overnight for us. But this place fills up. Make reservations and confirm them. They had e-mailed us and called us to make sure we were coming. And while we were checking in they turned away walk-ins. Not sure what was going on in town, but I will say that it's a great choice for the price, cleanliness comfort and features. We'll be back in a year or two and I won't hesitate to stay here again. Oh -- wifi was also great there both in the room and in the parking lots.

    « It's a BW »

Hotel is a typical Best Western and we arrived on our 5th night touring on bikes. Rooms are spacious with Tea and Coffee making facilities, fridge and microwave. Bedroom has been updated but the bathrooms look original. Good nights sleep, rooms quiet and beds comfortable. Free wifi and there is an outside pool. Helpful staff and walkable to a few local casinos and bars.

    « Unexpected delight! »

From the moment we called to make sure our request were added to the reservation (since the website is the pits since they changed it) Chelsea was wonderful. She also checked us in and placed us in an area of the hotel that met our needs. The area is also very nice for Golf at Mountain Falls and dinner at the Pahrump winery was worth the drive.

« Quick overnight stay. Not bad, 3.5 »

Stayed here with my wife and family on our way to Death Valley. We booked the hotel way ahead of time and the staff was super nice as we had packages shipped to this hotel as it was the first of many stops along our vacation journey. The grounds were nice and the bar was entertaining with bowling and many other games. The free breakfast buffet was nice with many options. The problem I had was the room smelled very very musty and also smelled like they had tried to cover up the musty smell with a cleaner of some sort. There really are not any attractions around, but there are a couple dining options close. Our stay was not long, but it served a purpose. Kind staff, good breakfast, room just very musty smelling.

    « Lovely big room »

Stop for one night here as it was near death valley check in was quick and friendly welcome, got a room that we could park bike out side when we open door it more like a flat they was a area with 2 settee and TV then a full kitchen area with everything in then a large bedroom with very nice bed then a large bathroom and we paid very little for it They are pool and a bar with very cheap drinks and good food , hot breakfast is in with room rate We wish we could stop longer would highly recommend this hotel to anybody

« Great value and service for Front Sight visit »

Room remodeled from 2015 and look great. Septic tank smell throughout property all gone. Excellent front desk and restaurant (including breakfast) staff service still outstanding. Wifi works consistently now. My third stay in three years. New Holiday Inn Express now open down the road, but for twice the price.

    4
« Very clean and comfy »

This is an excellent motel to stay at if you do not want a smoke-filled casino in the lobby. Good quantity for the breakfast. Nice sports bar/restaurant. Good value. Landscape is very well maintained. Rooms are large and clean. Great water pressure for the shower too! Love this place.

« Best Western stay while taking classes at Front Sight »

My buddies and I rented rooms for three nights at the Best Western in Pahrump while we took a class at at Front sight. The hotel gave us the Front Sight discount (good savings off of regular price). All of the staff were super friendly. All of the facilities and rooms were clean and comfortable. The water closet-shower room was a bit cramped but clean and it served its purpose well enough. The complementary hot breakfast was pretty good. Eggs, biscuits, gravy, link sausage, waffles, fruit, juice, coffee, mini-muffins, etc, etc. All in all, the BW was a great choice and we will be staying there again!

    « Dated hotel »

I booked this hotel mainly because of price and my prior experiences at Best Western. The hotel is conveniently located on 160 and the grounds were nice but the interior is in need of a makeover. The staff were friendly enough but the room barely satisfactory and poorly insulated as you could hear doors closing, faucets being turned on, etc.

    5
« Perfect room and generous breakfast »

Quit place to stay, comfortable modern room and tasty generous breakfast with a lot of choice for any taste. Convenient location, walmart supercenter and gas station are very close. Death Valley 1h drive. Would stay here again. Thanks!

    « Very good stay »

Our stay was very good. The staff was excellent (especailly Rachel who went out of her way to secure us a room during a very busy reace weekend) ; very accomodating, willing to help and very friendly all the time (very early in the morning and late in the evening). The room was sufficient for our needs, clean, comfortable and quiet.

    5
    « great customer service! »

though the ice machines were down the kitchen had no issue of giving us some for our daily needs. Friendly staff and helpful too! The lounge bar was really cool with the bowling alley and pool table. Very good food breakfast or dinner and very affordable prices on drinks! Im definitely coming back here next time were in Pahrump =)

« Clean rooms, free awesome breakfast, great free wi-fi and more »

Clean rooms, free awesome breakfast, great free wi-fi and more. Every room has a refrigerator and a microwave and free wi-fi. The breakfast is good too. Not just the typical continental breakfast but complete with eggs, sausage, waffles, and sometimes hash browns or biscuits and gravy. Better than the other hotels in the area. Not fancy rooms but always clean and functional.

« Long time FRONT SIGHT MEMBER »

I have been coming to FRONT SIGHT for 16 years, and taken about 75 classes at FS and have always stayed at the best western pretty much always had a great experience But it sold 2 months ago I rent one of the large 2 room suites with a full kitchen even though I don't cook there mostly . The full fridge is good to keep your water bottles frozen to take to front SIGHT I have always had a good experience with the Draft picks , the bar and grill attached to the hotel This time was very different I arrived to find that my reservation had somehow dropped from their system and they did not have the room type I reserved and was guaranteed. All the staff I worked with was very nice , seems like there are a lot of issues and problems So i called BW customer service and the new owner called me back , very nice , comped one night and bought dinner The next day I was able to move into the room type I wanted But ....the hot tubs are not working and I believe they have been down for months None of the downstairs ice machines 3 total did not work , nor did the AC in my room and I called twice and never heard back Total bummer So I moved to Saddle West across the street for 59 for a deluxe room with a way better bed , a working hot tub and great AC I will probably give them another try but not for a while

    « track weekend stay »

Decent property - better than average hotel breakfast. Plenty of near room parking. Most of property is ground or second floor. Property rooms have been remodeled relatively recently with good beds/bedding. Clean rooms, bathrooms clean. Trailer parking nearby. Non-smoking facility. Seems reasonably safe.

« Front Sight Hotel Rooms at Best Western »

Great place. Looks renovated. Great Continental Breakfast with eggs, sausage, bisquits and gravy, pancakes cereal yogurt etc. Every one will be satisfied. Close to Front Sigh facility about 20 minutes away

    « I expected better service »

We had an issue during checking in evening 10/14/16. Our accomodation manager sent 3rd party authorization form prior to our arrival. Unfortunately, lady on reception said that she is unable to open attached file (pdf), her boss was already away and after three calls receptionist told that she needs to swipe my card as a security till 3rd party payment clarification and swore that my card won't be charged. Next morning at reception I was informed (by other lady) that everything is good and authorization form accepted. Now I got bill from bank for almost $600 as accomodation there. Probably stolen. It's the most unprofessional service I've ever seen.

    4
    « OK place »

This is a decent hotel that is getting a little old and could use some upgrading. The chair in by the desk was in bad need of replacement. The restaurant is not great except for the free breakfast.I would come back because of the discount I got but it is nothing special.

    « Nice property »

Stayed here for one night during a SW road trip. We were very happy with the room - at first. I killed two ants before we went to bed. In the morning, my purse and laptop (on the nightstand) were inundated with ants. I spent the morning before we left making sure I had killed them all. Front desk was sympathetic but unsurprised. We were told we'd get an extra 250 rewards points for our trouble.

    5
« BEST WERTERN of Nevada »

Greta place to stay, good food, friendly staff, nice room, fair price. If you're going to Front Sight this is the place. Been there 3 times and each time the quality was consistent. I would recommend to anyone having to stay near Parhump. Also had a nice RV park.

    5
« Nice room, nice looking lobby »

Everything about this stay was really nice except the staff at the desk seemed a little distracted from their jobs and the quality of the free breakfast food seemed a little off. There was a nice selection and it was hot, but perhaps not cooked as fully as I would like or perhaps too much in some cases. The pool looked great, but we didn't try it out.

    3
    « Retirement Road Trip »

Stayed here for 1 night on our journey from Williams to Lake Tahoe. Room was adequate and clean. Wifi was terrible. Breakfast area was very unwelcoming and food was not good. Table was being cleared while some of our party were still eating. Overall, OK for a 1 night stop but would hate to stay any longer.

    3
« Great room; poor breakfast »

Despite the fact that we had to stay on the 2nd floor we enjoyed our stay. It was difficult to carry our heavy luggage to our room. A lot of free parking slots were available; directly in front of our rooms. The room was large enough; bed, shower,... everything clean. The breakfast room was a little catastrophe. Neither tea nor coffee tasted well and the room did not invite to stay here for a longer time.

    3
« Best Western Pahrump Oasis »

Decent hotel. Well situated. Rooms are clean and quiet enough. Wifi was awful. All but one front desk clerk was great. Breakfast was great. Two queen beds. One was good, one was awful (sunk in the middle).

    2
    « Don't go »

We booked one night and asked the receptionist to reserve us the next night; she said she had done that. When we came down for breakfast next morning after a comfy night we were told we had to check out as they'd sold all their rooms during the night. Not good! The 'free' breakfast was horrid. Everything wrapped in plastic or extruded from a machine, and all so excessively sweet. You'd be much better off not eating any of it. The hotel pool was perfectly adequate - a ray of sunshine in an otherwise very disappointing experience. I guess some people like the plastic anonymity of a chain motel, but we found this Best Western soulless, sad and sour.

    5
« Real Best Western gem »

We were pleasantly surprised after have stayed at some other BW in the States. Very good hotel with medium sized pool in artificial oasis. Nice and clean rooms, quite modern design. Very comfy beds. All amenities one might need including microwave. Breakfast on the weaker side but it is not hotels property. Plenty of parking space. Internet was good. Excellent place to start or to finish your trip to the Death valley. Would highly reccomend.

    5
« Met all our needs! »

Stayed here while attending Front Sight and received the special rate. Rooms clean, quiet, good bed & plenty of pillows. Free breakfast quite a bit above average and a perfect start for our day. Housekeeping staff was great! Restaurant had great food and exceptional Burgers. Hot tub was nice after long days at the range. Plan to stay here again on our next visit.

    5
    « Feels like home »

This was my second stay at the Oasis. The staff treats me like a valued guest, the rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable and breakfast is good. The location is convenient to the activities I want to participate in.

« After seeing all those hotels located around Death Valley in California, we finally arrived something good.. »

Decent hotel. Good stay. It also provides a outside pool. But during our stay it was so cold so we didn't get a chance to try that. Not too far away from Death Valley, and definitely worth the money paid.

    3
    « Mediocre »

We stayed for 1 night in a room with 2 queen beds. Upon arrival the staff weren´t very helpful. It took quite a while to get us checked in. Later we wanted to use the pool and it took an awful lot of time to get towels in the reception as they were apparently very busy doing lots of other things besides helping us out. The pool was extremely cold so we couldn´t really get in. At night we had a cockroach staying with us in our bathroom which wasn´t very nice. The breakfast was good though with the opportunity to make our own belgian waffles - despite from that I doubt we would want to stay there another time.

    4
    « Nice, but noisy »

The staff (front desk, bartender, and breakfast) were great. They were helpful, pleasant, and able to answer any question you ask. The restaurant is a typical bar menu (burgers and sandwiches), but the cheeseburger I had was really good along with the sweet potato fries. The bartender suggested their homemade ranch for dipping and it was the best ranch I'd ever had. The breakfast was your typical continental breakfast buffet, but otherwise good. I was supposedly in the new addition. It was the noisiest hotel I have ever been in. The people next door awoke at 430 and showered. The noise of the water turning on would wake me up. The refrigerator in my room was at a constant hum that I had to sleep with a pillow covering my head so I could sleep. Unfortunately I had food in it so I couldn't unplug it otherwise I would have.

« Best Western Parumph nevada »

The staff at the Best Western were truly outstanding to a person! They cared aboput problems and went the extra nine yards to help us solve our unanticipated issues. The romm was great; clean, comfortable and nicely prepared. The food at their restaurant was surprisingly good. the salads were fabulous. Great place to stay.

    4
    « An Oasis indeed. »

This Best Western was a very pleasant surprise for being out of the way in the desert. Super friendly and caring staff. Clean room with everything working properly. The bar and lounge was fun and offers great food. Would definitely stay there again.

    4
    « A desert oasis! »

Staff are very friendly, and room accommodations are very good for the area. We had a minor issue with accessing the Internet from part of our room, but I'm certain that the staff can address that in the future. The decor is showing its age, but the housekeeping staff do a great job to ensure that the premises are clean and welcoming!

    5
    « Pahrump Best Western »

Very convenient for going to Frontsight. One of the closest places to stay; less than 30 minutes away. It is very Frontsight students friendly. The free breakfasts in the morning allow for a predictable, timely start to the day. They offer boxed lunches for the long days at the range. All my kids and their spouses were able to meet and stay with me there at an affordable price.

    3
    « Old facities »

Somewhat older facility but definitely adequate, with swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and breakfast with bar & restaurant for fast evening meals. Rooms don't have adequate lighting for reading or doing paper-work; however, they have Wifi so computer work is possible.

    5
« Stay here just for the "all you can eat" breakfast buffet in the morning! »

Very nice room for the night. Average Best Western. The night clerk was very friendly. The best part of the stay was the breakfast buffet in the morning consisting of waffles, eggs, sausage, and lots of other stuff to kick start your morning. It's a serve yourself buffet. The hotel is part of a restaurant so the breakfast inside the restaurant. We would definitely stay here again!

    4
« Nice and helpfull staff »

Stayed here on our way to Vegas. Chelsea was super helpfull and so nice! Nice room, good bed and good breakfast. Only reason its not getting 5 stars is because their bar didnt have their liquorlicense but it was expected the day after so no biggie :)

    « Little Gem »

Our car broke down while visiting Death Valley, so tow truck brought us in Pahrump. Luckily, this city had the only car shop that was open over the Labor day weekend. Anyhow, had to stay for the night in the city. BW was our first choice. We did not think twice. This specific BW has a pool, very clean and extremely large rooms. Breakfast the next day. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    5
    « Very cheap-great hotel »

Pahrump is a very nice place. The best western is a very cheap but great location to stay. Very big and clean rooms, wifi, pool, tv, comfortable beds.... Very nice and friendly staff. Free parking in front of the hotel. Breakfast included. Near to Vegas. I can recommend it.

    4
    « Nice option! »

Have been stuck at other hotel/casino properties in the past while in Pahrump and had horrible experiences with smoky, noisy rooms. When staying at this location ask for the rear building which seems newer. Hallway entrances and totally non-smoking. Pool is easy access and it's far away from highway traffic. Breakfast was well-appointed, although seating is limited. This was a winner for us and would be happy to stay there again.

    5
    « Fantastic 1 night stay »

Really handy hotel for us to stop over for one night. Staff really friendly, the pool was a welcome bonus to the stay. Parking, there was ample of spaces and right outside our room. Beds were really comfortable and the room had AC which is essential.

    3
« Not as great the second time »

We got a smaller room in a building that had no elevator. Our room was on the second floor. We decided to eat some food we'd brought in the room, and the table instantly was covered in ants. In the morning, they were all over the bedside table and every other surface in the room. The breakfast was fine and the staff is great. Don't stay in the two story portion of the hotel. Last year we stayed in the single story part and had a wonderful experience.

    4
« Spacious and Pet Friendly »

We have family in this area and find it very convenient and appreciate its "pet friendly" environment. The Front Desk asked how "Jake" was doing:) Having breakfast included in the room rate was appreciated and had a nice variety to choose from Both hot and cold options were available.

    5
« Small Gem in the desert. »

    1. Arrival: Typical for Motels in the US. Drive up to reception, everything was already prepared on the basis of our Reservation, check in, drive around the Corner, park in front of our room and get in. 2. Room: In the original part of the Motel. Small but well equipped, clean and efficient. 3. Restaurants: Had a good breakfast in their Restaurant which is adjecient to a Bowling alley. Funny. 4. Surroundings: Very well kept. Lots of Palmtrees. Nice pool. 6. Proximity to Death Valley: Somewhat longer than I expected. Plan a good hour to the park entrance.

    4
« Nice place to rest before driving through the Death Valley »

We were here on our trip to the Death Valley. The room was quite confortable and well furnished. We had a nice rest at the pool side and a good buffet breakfast in the morning. The only problem was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy.

    4
« Good place to stay outside Death Valley »

This was our base for our trip to Death Valley National Park. We stayed 4 nights. There weren't too many reasonable options within the park so we opted driving in an hour each way. It wasn't too bad. The hotel is clean and close to restaurants, drug stores, grocery stores, casinos etc. It was good to stay in a hotel near civilization and visit the park. The hotel itself is getting dated but it was clean and comfortable and had good service. There was no elevator so you had to lug your bags if you were staying on the second floor. Breakfast was simple but sufficient with good selection. It also has a laundry facility and had free wi-fi. All in all, a good value for the price!

    4
« Stayed for 4 nights in 3 differnet rooms »

Nice rooms. Large and spacious. Clean and well maintained. The front desk is very helpful. Catrice was a delight. Did have an issue with last room we stayed in 133. Right next to housing for employees, and they hung out all times of day right outside my door. Very awkward. Also the pool water was not very clean. Cloudy and hair in the pool everyone you moved it got on you. Otherwise good visit

  • 4
« Quality for the price »

Happily surprised with a fresh smelling, clean, large room with a comfortable king sized bed. Nice furniture and cold air-conditioning! Their bar restaurant that is on property is a nice touch and their food is good. The complementary breakfast was awesome!

    5
    « Great Find »

My husband and I stayed at this Best Western while traveling to Death Valley, we were greeted by Cat who was phenomenal, she was friendly and very helpful. We stayed in one of the suites they offer and it was very roomy, actually about the size of a small apartment, the morning breakfast was exceptional and offered lots of choices. The staff in the breakfast area were courteous and bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed.

    5
« Exvcellent value for money and breakfast included »

The Best Western In Pahrump seemed a little quirky when we arrived for our first stay. The entrance was a little hard to find! However, if we were in this area again we would never stay anywhere else. Room was clean with 2 big beds - and all mod cons. We booked to stay the following night at a hotel in Olancha which was almost twice the price - but came back the the Best Western - despite not getting our money back from the hotel that we had booked in!

    4
« A clean and quiet oasis in a dusty region. »

The Best Western is a large Motel, but was exceptional because its rooms were spacious and scrupulously clean and tidy. Good facilities in that wifi etc all worked very well. The restaurant was fairly basic but the portions were huge (for a Brit anyway) and the sports themed bar was more Mo's than Cheers. But you could not hope find better, more genuinely helpful staff. And if the restaurant is not to your taste there must be another 50 of all types within a few minutes driving time in town.

    4
« Clean, comfy, and friendly staff - plus, a great location. »

We recently stayed at this property and were very pleased with our decision. The overall value was very good: the room (double queen, non-smoking) was on the ground floor, but there was no outside traffic noise. The A/C unit struggled a bit, and the room became very humid if the fan was switched to "Auto" instead of "Continuous". Otherwise, no problems. The front desk staff was efficient, and answered questions re: directions, restaurant suggestions, etc in a friendly manner. Breakfast was ample (hot foods, fruit, yogurt, muffins, waffles, etc., plus good coffee) and included in the rate. The hostess was present, and any dwindling items were promptly replenished. I have no hesitation in recommending this property if you are in need of accommodation in Pahrump.

    5
« If ever need be I'll stay here again in a heartbeat! »

Nice, clean place to stay. Great staff, very helpful. Their free continental breakfast is great and is why we stayed there. Much better than the higher priced hotels in town. Stayed at Nugget first trip while house hunting and were disgusted. (don't need the slot machines) We felt as we belonged there. Free coffee in rooms, small refrigerator etc. I highly recommend here as first choice!

    3
    « 4 days at Frount site »

We stay when we went to 4 day class the price was great and the breakfast was great. AC in room needs to be updated the room was clean and had a Refrigerator and Microwave in the room. The Bar is ok if you like light beer you had a lot to pick from. However if you like dark beer they have only one on tap and it is so-so

    4
« Best Western Inn of Pahrump »

A good quality stay at a good quality price. The Best Western Inn of Pahrump has a good location not only in the town itself, but also to Death Valley National Park about 1 hour away. and the country's premier firearms training institute, Front Sight.

    4
    « Over all, a nice place. »

The hotel room was clean and the beds comfortable. The room (130) we were in shows as the pictures on the website. (2 queen room) I am a light sleeper and found the air conditioner was rather noisy (as expected as they usually are). Turned if off at night, although it warmed up a bit we managed. The refrigerator in our room was rather noisy as well. The building is older and not well insulated. When your neighbour turned on their shower it was very loud until they pulled the knob to redirect water to the shower head. Did not use the pool but stuck my foot in it, I think it would have been refreshing, hot tub looked like it could have used a scrub, not overly hot but then with temperatures in the mid 90's that might be okay. Grounds were nicely kept. If visiting Pahrump again I would stay here again. Draft Picks (Lounge attached to the hotel) also holds the breakfast area (which the waffles were great). Draft Picks food was decent, pizza with sourdough crust...still out on that one. Staff was great

    5
« Very friendly staff & great breakfast »

We will definately stay here again! The service was wonderful and the hotel was very affordable. Breakfast was great and there was mini bowling and arcade games that kept everyone busy and happy. Thanks again!

« Great place to stay with excellent staff »

We were very please with the quality of the room and the pool but the highlight of our stay was the excellent staff. When we arrived we experienced some difficulty with the wifi and the front desk sent Tra to help us out. He was very helpful, fixed our problem and gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations in town .Throughout our stay whenever we saw him ,he greeted us with a smile and a friendly interaction. His cheerfulness definitely made us feel welcome. The grounds were well kept and truly an oasis in the desert. The breakfast that was included was a self serve hot meal and good quality. We were very pleased and would highly recommend the Pahrump Oasis

    « GREAT LOCATION »

This Hotel is very CENTRALLY located and well maintained. Have been coming here for the last 3 yrs. Love the location and the people. Great Service and food. The Lounge Bar has fantastic Bar food and selection/ Great prices and the drinks are the bomb. Can't say enough positive

    « Five Night Stay »

Over Memorial weekend my family has an annual reunion in Pahrump. Many camp in tents, RV;s, but several of us older folk preferred to stay in hotels. My cousin booked our one bedroom suite many months in advance. It had a nice king size bed in the bedroom and a pull out in the living room. Full kitchen with very little cookware. The morning breakfast was excellent with hot food and wonderful, friendly staff. We went all 5 mornings! The sofa bed was a little lumpy, but that's typical and nothing to complain about. Clean towels and a hot shower is about all we were looking for.

Perfect placement between Vegas, Red Rock, Death Valley and Ash Meadows. School group 12 kids, no problems incredible breakfast. Ton of amenities around the hotel. Although staying in Death Valley is an experience, this hotel was much better location and comfort -wise.

    « Large modern rooms »

We spent the night here on our way to Death Valley. The girl at the front desk told us we would be staying in the newly renovated building. It sure looked new. The room was huge for its price with a modern design. Everything was very clean. We had a great experience with this hotel.

« Need to take care of roach problem. »

We understood that bugs can be difficult, but we found roaches in our room 2 different times during 2-day stay. We have never experienced this before this stay and we have stayed at various hotels in various places in US.

    « Training »

This was a very clean and the staff were professional and went out of there way to assist you. I would stay here again and advised friends and family to as well. The pool was great and the food was good.

« Great place to stay »

Friendly helpful staff. Clean comfortable rooms. In the future I will specify I would like a ground floor room as we were on motorcycles and it took several trips up and down the stairs to get all our stuff to the room. The food and service were very good. I highly recommend this location.

« Best Western Pahrump - nice hotel »

I've been staying at this hotel for several days a year for about seven years because of the staff. The rooms are nice, good airconditioning (important in Nevada), and the free breakfast is outstanding. It's located on the main street (Hwy 160) and is convenient to the main businesses. The swimming pool is great, with a nice patio around it and chairs and tables. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pahrump.

    « Near Front Sight »

My wife and I were attending a course at the Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. The discounted room rate for Front Sight was very good and sealed the deal for our booking. Our first room was in the older, non-smoking section. This was an "ok" room for me although it was relatively cramped for two and my wife prefers a little more "upscale" room. Due to this and noise from outside; i.e. Harleys and one very loud talking woman (not the hotels fault), we requested a room change. The hotel obliged immediately (good thing they had availability) and the new room was fabulous. More modern and spacious. Made our trip much more enjoyable! If you're attending Front Sight, this is a good place to stay!

    « Motel with a resort feel »

The motel is located on a large parcel of land with a resort feel to it. The rooms are adequately large and the breakfasts are better than most motels. The swimming pool is centrally located with very large umbrellas and palm trees along the perimeter.

« Great place to stay in Pahrump »

We attend Front Sight for training, and the Best Western in Pahrump offers convenience, clean and comfortable rooms, and excellent breakfasts. We have stayed there before, and we wouldn't think of going anywhere else. There are good restaurants nearby, and they are within a few miles if that. The staff is helpful and courteous, and it is a nice place to relax after a hard day. My recommendation is to stay at the Best Western and enjoy the comfort and the relaxation.

« A good hotel, showing some age but overall well maintained »

Booked early which turned out to be a good thing. Not only were a number of guests going to the same high school graduation, there were other holiday weekend activities in the area and some walk-in guests were being turned away. Room was clean and everything worked (except one receptacle. Breakfast was good and certainly an added value. Hotel had what the signage said was a Farmers' Market in the front parking lot but it looked more like a flea market. Made entering that lot difficult and certainly didn't add to the value.

    « Very Comfortable Hotel »

Driving to Death Valley on the east side and needing a hotel, we cam upon this Best Western in Pahrump. It turned out quite nice with friendly staff and, a clean and comfortable room. mostly a typical BW but a bit on the plus side. If you need a room in this town nmot clos to much, this would be a good choice.

    « Terrible night!! »

We arrived later than anticipated, checked in, the night staff was not very friendly, a man camecharging out of the lounge in an agitated state, banged the door and left. we went to our room, as two men ran past towards reception, a man appeared to inform us he was in his room and those men had tried to rob him . I called reception as I was concerned we were not safe, the receptionist said we would be as the men had run off. The room was dated and not clean, fridge buzzed all night, slept very little, no time for breakfast as we caught up on the sleep we lost listening for problems, all in all not a hotel I would recommend!!!

« Fair Room Rates But Watch Out for Desert Bloom Prices »

I have stayed here on and off for many years, first starting early 2000's then later on till I bought into the town. The good part is they are fairly friendly staff wise. Its a motel rather than a hotel, per se, but at one time it was the only game in town unless you stayed at the casinos. There are amenities here. They include an RV park, some laundry facilities, and from my recollection they provided a breakfast included in the room rate. There are newer amenities, including a Holiday Inn nearby but the Best Western is fairly well established and a good place to stay. Prices are reasonable but in the Spring time if the desert's blooming, there will be a sudden influx of tourists which means your room rate goes up. Ashe Meadows and Amargosa Junction are within 30 to 50 miles, as are Tecopah Hot Springs/Baths and China Ranch is close but a slow drive. Pahrump offers an easy, quiet life style. Not much to do in town except gamble, drink, and relax. There are brothels nearby as well for those folks that just have to either try it, or go for a free tour.

« Two night stay in Pahrump »

This was a convenient, economical stay, and the staff was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast had good variety and was nicely presented. We had dogs with us, and they made certain that we had a first-floor room in a convenient location.

    « Front sight visit »

So I have taken about 80 classes at front sight over the years and stayed at this hotel a lot in the last 16 years . I always get a suite with a kitchen and they really do cater to FS staff and students This time the experience was ok except for their pools . Both of the pools are in real disrepair . The chemicals in the hot tub are really not correct . The bleach smell is overwhelming . I recall them having this issue before . Time to change pool services The pool area was really dirty and it's time for a face lift The rooms have been upgraded and the restraunt called Draft picks is very good for diner food Hopefully I next time I come they have fixed the pool issue

    4
    « Near Death Valley »

Stayed here as reviews and costs for Death Valley were too high. Worked out well as there were good food choices nearby, but the trip to the National Park was about an hour! The room was very large and comfortable. Had a nice clean pool nearby.

    3
« Great hotel for the price, but dangerous stair case »

The hotel is a great place to stay and is very clean. The breakfast is excellent if you do not have any food allergies. The side walks and stairs are slippery. If they are wet, walk slow and maintain a tight grip on any handrails.

« Great Hotel when attending Front Sight »

Son and I stayed for 6 nights while attending Front Sight. Great value due to discount from Front Sight. Staff was very nice and attentive. AC broke one night and they had the entire unit replaced while we were out the next day.

    5
« One of the Best »

This is "Hands Down" the best BW property we have stayed at during this cross country trip. The Front Desk was "Spot On" with locations to eat at to directions to National Parks in the area. The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. The pool and hot tub area both had lift chairs for those that needed assistance into and out of the pool and hot tub (very rarely seen). The breakfast was out of this world and was the best breakfast we have had.

    4
« Convenient to Front Sight Firearms Training facility »

Very nice and clean place to stay for a reasonable rate. The provided breakfast was quite varied and generally good tasting. Staff was helpful and friendly. The connected restaurant was also decent with good food. There was a nice pool although the water was too cold and there is a small hot tub by the pool but it was too grungy to get in. Overall though if you're not looking for a hot tub, a very nice place to stay.

    2
« Dismal service detracts from good facilities »

When I called direct to Pahrump BW to make my reservation, for which I knew I could receive a FrontSight special rate I was told by the lady at reception that she did not know how to apply the discount (which she knew about) and that I should just book online through a booking service even though I would lose my discount. I paid almost double for my stay. While we (4 people) were there we were only given 3 sets of towels. After a long day at FrontSight I called down for more towels to be brought up and I was told by the receptionist that she was too busy to bring any up so I had to come down and get them even though we were all in various states of undress and showering. Almost an hour later I walked to reception for more towels and she was sitting in the back office doing nothing and then acted as though nothing was wrong with her shoddy service. The rooms are great but service is dismal!!!!

    3
« Decent hotel, good price »

Hotel was ok. Room was smokey because they have cigarette trays right outside the non smoking rooms...dumb! Breakfast was decent. The pool was fairly clean, but not heated. No fitness room/equipment. The shower head was slow and the toilet had a hard time flushing

    4
    « Nice place »

Clean room, comfortable beds. Front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again for future trips. Did not have the breakfast there, can't rate that, but the staff made it all a very nice stay.

    3
    « Average »

Average, We have stayed here in the past and enjoyed it. We will be looking at the new Holiday Inn for our next stay though. They were told that they have had two new management changes in a very short period of time. We had large cockroach in our bathroom Yick!, We ate at their restuarant "Draft Picks", and the waitress, who was also bar tending that evening, was extremely inattentive. To us, room cleanliness is a must, and not real sure about that this time around.

    5
    « Front Sight Discount - Great »

We have stayed here for four nights each with family and friends on two occasions while we attended the Front Sight 4 day defensive handgun course. Great experience both times. Rooms are clean and have all the usual amenities, the front desk staff and everyone else are kind, friendly and helpful, and the Front Sight discount is a welcome bonus. We plan to stay here on all future Front Sight visits.

    5
« Return from Death Valley »

Price was a little high, but we had the new section. What made this a fun place were the front desk girls, Rachel, Catrice and Christina. They were good directions and very friendly and nice. Location was good, with a nice sports bar attached. Had good breakfast, also.

    5
« Best Western, Pahrump, NV »

This is the like a perfect place. It is brand new. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is very smooth, like a lego model hotel. People go to this town amid the desert and mountains about 50 miles from Las Vegas for a reason. And this this the preferred place to stay.

    « nice trip! »

My wife and I stayed at BW Pahrump Oasis for four days. The rooms were very well kept, the staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. This was our second stay at this hotel, and will be using it in the future.

« Great hotel in Pahrump »

This hotel was excellent. Great breakfast buffet included every morning with an extensive menu. Great sports bar and happy hour. Rooms clean and quiet. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Would highly recommend.

    4
« Good value for the money »

I usually stay here when I'm in Pahrump, their spa room is nice, the room I stayed this time was nice. The only drawback is the high speed internet sucks. Also the breakfast buffet is AWESOME (great waffles!)

    5
    « overall »

If taking FrontSight course, don't take second floor rooms in back, all the weight of the guns and ammo gets heavy lugging up and down the stairs each day, and the course is mentally and physically exhausting. Be Prepared!

    3
    « BW Pahrump »

The hotel was quite nice. It was early in the season so not much expected of the pools but they were too dirty to use. The bath towels are crap and they only issue 1 per customer. I would consider a stay there again if I have the foresight to bring my own towels.

    2
« Couldn't use shower, maintenance slow to address. »

After some confusion about room assignment, I got a room where the shower was unusable. The problem would have been evident immediately to cleaning staff if the shower had been cleaned since the last guest. The maintenance guy finally showed up as I was lacing my boots to leave.

    4
    « Business Traveler »

This motel is conveniently located right in the middle of Pahrump. You can feel safe here with the family or just on business like myself. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is very good. The quality and the presentation are great. I had to ask where is your tip jar? She definitely deserved a good tip for her excellent service. .I would highly recommend this motel. I will stay here in the future for sure.

    3
« Best Western, Pahrump, Nevada »

This was a clean property with very pleasant staff. We arrived very late but were promptly greeted by the night staff. The breakfast was good although nothing exciting (really good salsa though). If I were to be back in Pahrump, I would probably stay here again.

    5
« Checks all the boxes »

On a motorcycle trip to Death Valley, five of us stayed here. Our requirements are: clean, quiet, dark, and reasonably priced with a restaurant within walking distance. This place has a restaurant as part of the package so it worked out well for us. Lotta folks going to Frontsight Training stay here.

    4
« Everything you need in one place »

There aren't a ton of options in this town, but this one is a great value, offering you a large, clean room complete with microwave and fridge. Parking is close to your room and there's a pool and hot tub. Free, hot breakfast at the restaurant you can also use for lunch and dinner adds to the value. Centrally located, you can find what you need. WiFi signal is strong and clear. What more could you want?

    « Let down »

As a cancer sufferer I asked for a non smoking room. I was told that the hotel was full and as I'd pre paid in full There wasn't an option to move rooms. Whilst I was checking an Australian family walked in off the streetand got a room, So the girl on reception was lying. My room had a strong odour of smoke and the pillows did too. Breakfast was poor. I had to ask for tea. Which didn't appear. I ate my breakfast in a bowling alley that doubled up as a dinner. This is a motel not a hotel, I parked my car outside my room. Which fronted onto the main highway going threw the town.

    4
    « Surprisingly good »

Pahrump is one of those odd places on the map that makes you wonder why it's there so we were surprised by how nice the hotel was. The room was enormous, as was the king size bed and shower. Service was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was basic US heart stopping fare and the front rooms had a bit of traffic noise but overall a nice experience.

    5
    « Great stay! »

We stayed here while attending a 2-day Frontsight training in Pahrump;. VERY nice stay. One night we ate at Symphony (which was fabulous) but 2 nights we ate "in" at the bar'restaraunt at the Oasis. Excellent burgers and bar food. GREAT service. Delicious salad. Perfect and easy. Great service. Don't miss. Plus breakfast was great. We'll stay here again and again.

    5
« Pleasant surprise in Pahrump! »

We stayed at this motel because we were visiting family who lives in Pahrump. We were delighted to find that theer was a Best Western in town, and even happier when we saw how nice it was. It's a resort!

    4
    « Very Good Value »

This hotel is very good value, excellent quality bed and shower. It is also in a very good location, especially if you are traveling to the Front Sight facility. The only complaint with the hotel is with the wifi, it is terrible, almost nonexistent. The breakfast is good.

    4
    « Front Sight Lodging »

Good room for the amount we paid. The only down side was a moldy smell that we had to leave the window open to get rid of. Other than that is was a great room. Everything worked well, the drains worked well, bed was very comfortable.

    5
« Friendly, caring, informed and great value »

My family of four stayed 4 nights in two adjoining rooms. We spent two days at Front Sight and two days touring Death Valley, etc. The Staff was friendly, helpful, offered tips on everything from food to travel routes. Had a toilet clog one time, they were there in minutes to fix it. Completely exceeded our expectations in every category.

    5
« We will be back! »

Price is always a factor when planning a family trip, so when I saw the rate I was a little worried but decided to book based off the photos. The hotel is VERY clean and the staff is great! Not only friendly, but personable!!! It's rare these days to get good customer service, but this Best Western has hired the right people... The breakfast buffet was delicious and the variety better than some major resorts'. The menu choices in the lounge are good, tasty, and the prices are reasonable! We opted to take ours to the room because of the smoke (not used to that since our establishments don't permit it anymore) Highly recommend this hotel!

    5
    « Perfectly adequate »

My wife and I stayed one night on the way to Death Valley. This was the closest hotel that was available - only an hour drive to the park. Was clean, comfortable, and service was helpful. Absolutely no complaints! Booked on Priceline for only $69.

    2
    « For the ducks! »

This motel is very old and not worth the money $200.00 a night plus tax.The furniture was very old and no place to put luggage.I used the ironing board to place belongings. The bed was broken down.Your stuck staying here if you have a pet.The swimming pool was crowded with ducks!Las Vegas is only forty miles away, stay there! The staff and breakfast was very nice but I can't say that about the management.

    « Close to everything »

This is a great hotel centrally located in Pahrump. Plenty of parking and lighting. Secure area. Close to Front sight. Good breakfast. pleasant staff easy in and out. Good restaurant and bar for after hours. Clean rooms. Plenty of hot water

« Nice clean smoke free no frills room but showing it's age. »

I was staying here on a return visit, stayed here two tears ago, and found it to be not quite as nice as before. It could be this particular room just gets a lot of use, room 223. Showing it's age. King bed has troughs in it. Still sleeps well but has troughs from so many folks sleeping on it. Maid service is excellent. Breakfast is ok, not great but typical of what we see these days in the "free breakfast" places who don't actually cook to order but (I think) heat and deliver pre-made stuff. It's ok. Good coffee, very nice lady keeping things in order. Front desk folks very very nice.

    4
« Registration problems, but nice room. »

We had a group registered for four days, and there were many issues with the registrations, It took quite a bit of work to get all of it straightened out. However, the rooms were nice and clean, and the cleaning staff was very pleasant. The free breakfast was not the best, hot foods were cold and the selection was standard hotel stuff. Again, the serving staff was very pleasant and helpful. We did not try the breakfasts on the other days. We would be willing to return and stay again, because of the nice room.

    4
« Best hotel for price »

Not many lodging options in Pahrump but the best value in town. There are a couple that are cheaper but not nearly as nice as the Best Western - Pahrump. Good hot breakfast included, not just pastries!

    4
    « Better than expected... »

Stayed at this location for a four day Front Sight course. Check in was a bit chaotic due to the fact the representative was attempting to help a walk in without a reservation find other accommodations. By the time we were helped, there was a line of people waiting to check in. The 2nd employee was on the phone most of the time we were being helped only to surface after things became busy. Assigned to the second floor in the newer building, a large, quiet clean room. Never used their maid service for the 4 day stay due to having firearms with us. Only suggestion for the room would be having a table and chairs. There was plenty of space. Breakfast was very good each day with plenty of choices. We will stay again on our next visit to Front Sight.

    5
    « Warm friendly staff »

The place is quiet, clean, and friendly. Can't wait to return. I called the staff a couple times for local directions and information on local restaurants; was totally surprised at their willingness to help, share their own local experiences, and with total professionalism, offer suggestions.

    4
    « nice overnight stop »

Needed to spend a night in Pahrump and did not want to stay at a casino with smoke and noise. This Best Western had parking that was NOT visible from the streets which is a very good thing. Also the motel property was very well kept and clean. Don't let the street view sway a decision. The motel proper seems to be hidden from street view which is a good thing.

« Last minute stay on New Year's weekend couldn't have been better. »

We arrived last minute on New Year's weekend thinking we would never get a room with Vegas just over the hill. The staff was out of their way helpful and very friendly even to our dog. The room was exceptionally clean. The free breakfast in the morning was fabulous with lots of choices we loved the fresh waffles. The hotel is centrally located in town, walking distance from several casinos leaving you to enjoy the town as much as you want. Would definitely recommend this even as an alternate stay of Vegas considering the high rates on the strip. Just a quick drive over the hill and your still in the fun. Thank you Best Western we will be back.

    5
    « Front Sight Class »

Had a great experience. Hotel was clean, rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable. Staff at hotel and restaurant were engaging and attentive. Amenities in room were appreciated - refrigerator, coffee maker, bath supplies. Would definitely stay here again if in this area.

    3
    « Best. ...Not Really »

Having stayed the previous night at the BW in Lone Pine we expected that the Pahrump version of BW would be on a par. Sadly not. Receptionist appeared disinterested. Room was around the back of the unattractive sprawling building. Had to walk a way to the inadequate breakfast in a yet even more unattractive room next door to a bowling alley with gambling machines around the wall. This group of Motels is not our cup of tea.

  • 3
« Average is being kind »

Room average free breakfast slim on selections in a dismal dining room. Couldn't get an additional night added as some gun convention going on and booked up so went next door to brand new Holiday Inn where rooms and breakfast were light years ahead. It will be the new #1 rated hotel for Pahrump when people find out.

    3
    « Sparse »

The rooms were fairly large (about 30' x 15') with minimal furniture. No chairs for sitting in spite of space of a couple of comfortable chairs, foot rests and side tables without crowding room. Noisy rooms: can listen to TV and normal level conversations in next rooms to point of being disrupting because one can hear both simultaneously. And, this room was response to request for "quiet" room for Diamond level membership in Best Western.

    2
    « Poor service »

Had problems with reservation after having called hotel directly to verify before arriving. Problem with shower with no temperature control that went unfixed after reporting the problem to the front desk.

    « Pahrump Shooting Trip »

Had a great time shooting and enjoyed the after hours at the loughn/bar. Enjoyed looking around the city of Pahrump and dinning at some very nice resturants. The weather was just right and even met Ted Cruz who was there campaining

    4
« Great Staff, clean rooms »

Our room a/c was faulty from start, but was fully replaced within 20 minutes of call to front desk. Desk and maintenance personnel were extremely courteous and friendly. Breakfast was "average" for this kind of hotel. We travel with two dogs, and LOTS of clean onsite places for them to do business. Poop bags are also provided. Grounds are very well maintained.

    4
« Best value that I can tell »

Very nice hotel for the money. It's not new and the rooms could be considered small and dated. That said, they do a marvelous job keeping things clean and in good repair. Free Wi-Fi and a hot breakfast in the mornings. My go to spot when in town for Frontsight.

    2
    « Don't Waste Your Money »

This is the second time we have stayed there (this time, no other hotels had rooms available) and both times the rooms were substandard. Last time we reserved an nonsmoking for three nights and were given a smoking handicapped the first night, then told we had to relocate for our second and third night's stay. The rooms were dirty and the free morning breakfast was also terrible and cold. This time, again we were placed in a handicapped room (no didn't request handicapped) and it was on the first floor; apparently the upstairs plumbing for the bathroom has a leak or was installed improperly, because the wall in the bathroom would bang loudly most of the night keeping us up. It sounded like the pipe was not firmly attached and, that caused a rattle. One of the bed pillows had a hair under the pillow case (luckily, we brought our own pillows to sleep on) and the ice bucket had dried rice caked on it. The door jams were dirty and the bathroom doorknob was sticky. The internet access instructions were incomplete, with no password to use. We had to call the front desk for assistance with this.

    5
« Great place to stay »

Three of us stayed in the room while we were attending the Front Sight firearms training. The staff was great, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, got a great night's sleep all 5 nights we were there. The breakfast was handy for us since we had to be to class early each day. It was acceptable but not great.

    4
« Room Good, Service Slow »

Stayed here with my wife and son 2 nights as we attended training. The room was clean and nice sized. Bed was comfortable and heating/cooling worked good. I think they are understaffed as service was very slow or nonexistent. When I called to confirm my registration, I was put on hold and waited 10 minutes before I hung up, waited a little and called back. I was asked to hold again and waited five minutes before I hung up and called back. The third time they talked to me to confirm my reservation. I hadn't received an email confirmation. The staff was kind and helpful at check-in. When we got to our room we noticed there was only two sets of towels for the three of us. I called down to get more towels delivered, and had to call again and hour later. When we return from our training the next day, again there was only two sets of towels. I called to ask for more and they asked if I could come to get them or if they needed to bring them. The hotel rooms are in a separate building from the office and I asked them to deliver the towels. They never did. Breakfast had lots of choices with hot foods such as waffles, biscuits and gravy, sausage or bacon, scrambled eggs and hashbrowns. I also appreciated that they opened up breakfast at 5:30 AM as we needed to leave by 6 AM for training. The breakfast is in a separate building from the hotel rooms also. There are quite a few places to grab a bite to eat close to the hotel and restaurant inside. All in all, it was a good stay at a fair price. If you need something from the management (towels), try to pick it up on your way to dinner or back!

« Above expectations for this level of hotel »

Interesting to read the recent reviews. May vary based on staffing. We found it to be above average for this type of hotel. It was quiet and clean. Breakfast exceeded expectations - definitely not Sheraton Bangkok excellent but we were planning on eating somewhere else and decided that we didn't need to. We liked that they opened breakfast at 5:30 as we were on our way to Death Valley. Only downside is that they seemed understaffed and staff was slow.

    « Great Value »

In Pahrump for classes at Front Sight. Second stay at Best Western in Pahrump. Definitely much better than Saddle West across the street. Clean, no casino traffic and no cigarette smoke! Nothing fancy but very adequate! Room was quiet. Heater/air conditioner was quiet. Second floor, but no elevator. Not a big problem.

    3
    « Don't forget the fabreeze »

This was the first time we brought a pet and we were so grateful to have a hotel which accommodate pets, but the room had a fairly bad pet odor. Otherwise, we were happy as we usually are with the Best Western Brand.

    3
    « Middling »

I would rate our stay here as pretty average. Our room was OK but not as good as other Best Westerns we stayed in. Breakfast is included but it was well below average. The coffee was so weak they really shouldn't have bothered. The staff were helpful and the location is convenient.

    4
« A Good Jumping off Point for Death Valley »

I usually try and stay at Best Westerns when I travel. This one is a pleasant surprise. Was planning a second visit to Death Valley (first time stayed with friends at a motel in Stovepipe Wells). The drive from Las Vegas was too long and the 2-3 places to stay IN Death Valley were too expensive. This is an excellent alternative. About an hours drive from the Park. Very friendly staff, plenty of parking, reasonable rates. Spacious, clean room with microwave and fridge. Hot breakfast. Lots of supermarkets, a Walgreens, CVS, Walmart around, plus several casinos for a meal and gambling. And for golfers, the Mountain Falls golf course is very scenic and reasonable.

    4
    « Great Stay »

We stayed here for two nights on a trip to attend a training facility in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful on check-in. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good and served early, I'm assuming because the training classes start early. Lots of other people from the class there. Overall good stay.

This is a large casino hotel well located and with large clean rooms. Don't eat here though except for breakfast (in a bowling alley). Reasonably priced with very good staff. Plenty of parking and easy access.

« Not up to Previous Standards »

I have stayed at this hotel 2 or -3 nights every year for the past 5 years. This year the rooms that I prefer had problems with hot water. I was given a room in back of the property with 2 queen beds, I prefer one king size bed and more open space. The guests upstairs were heavy walkers and at times annoying and the dog next door barked at anyone walking by. Planning another trip to Pahrump in November, perhaps this time it will be a more pleasant stay like previous trips. I usually enjoy staying at this hotel while in Pahrump.

    « Disappointing »

Spent 2 nights. We chose this hotel because we were running a marathon and wanted a hot tub to soak in afterwards. Well, that never happened because the hot tub wasn't hot. We brought it to their attention the first night but they didn't seem to even know or care. They said it would for sure be taken care of the next night. It was not. The room itself was the least impressive I've seen. It takes at least 5 minutes to get hot water for a shower. Then it fluctuated between luke warm and hot without ever touching the handle. The breakfast was pretty good. The cleaning staff did a good job though; the room was clean.

Front Sight has a discount deal with Best Western. The vast majority of the students in my c lass stayed there. Service was good, free breakfasts, and the reception staff is very helpful with directions. Recommend highly.

Great hot breakfast and polite staff. The room was excellent for the value. One of the closest hotels to Front Sight if you are attending there. It's about 30 minutes from Front Sight. Also, they are DOG FRIENDLY. That was a huge plus for us. Lots of green grass for the doggies and well lit parking lot.

    « Nice Lodging »

Great pet walk area. The nightly rate was very fair. Some noise from rooms upstairs. Location is quiet with dining options within walking distance. Breakfast area is large & well-staffed. My only issue is with the excessive water flow in the shower. You can't control the volume of water; only temperature. The squealing noise emitted from every shower head (you'll hear the neighbors) is so annoying your shower will be cut short. The drain can't handle the flow so I was standing in water the entire time. The biggest issue is the water waste--saddening.

    « Run down! »

Facility has outgrown capacity of it's systems. Of 5 night stay, only had one day where I got a hot shower (during Super Bowl half time) Otherwise, only had 2min of hot water, even off peak hours. So, keep that in mind. A/C didn't really cool down much either.

« Excellent value, very clean and modern »

From check-in and throughout my stay, very efficient and courteous treatment. Great location as base for travel around Pahrump. Special rate for Frontsight Shooting Academy attendees, which is located about 22 miles to southwest of motel. Sports bar and restaurant next door was good.

« Best Western Pahrump, Nevada »

This hotel had a good appearance and was well-kept. The room was well-equipped, and I had a comfortable stay. My room was a welcome relief because I had a busy schedule and I had to wake up extremely early. I was able to get two nights of quality rest.

« Very clean, nice rooms, excellent price »

If you want a very nice and clean room at a great price, with breakfast included, this is the place to go. I have stayed here 3 times and will be back. The rooms are very new looking and have good beds. I have never had a problem of any kind here. I highly recommend staying here.

« They understand the word "breakfast" »

This was not a super special property in the manner of some of the wilderness lodges I have reviewed. It is a motel. That said, I would not hesitate to say it is one of the nicest motels I have ever stayed at. My room was clean and comfortable (and enormous!). The bathroom was clean and large with plenty of hot water, the air conditioning kept the room cool. The bed was comfortable (and enormous! Is everything just big in this part of Nevada, or what?) In short, the establishment lacked nothing in what I demand of a place to stay for the night. What made this place extra special were two things. First of all, the service was fast, efficient, friendly, everything one could want but does not always get. The lady at the desk went out of her way to explain things and to make certain I got the advantage of every deal and discount available to me, not only here, but at later places I would stay on this trip. She did this, incidentally, while having to deal with an absolute madhouse of phone calls, guests coming in, guests wanting things, and a jillion other interruptions. I was a little in awe. Second, this is the first place I have ever stayed that advertised a "free breakfast" (other than certain lodges which provide all meals as part of a package) that really understand what "breakfast" means. There was sausage, bacon, eggs, breakfast potatoes, a waffle maker, all kept freshing and fully stocked. Of course they also had fruit and cereal and pastries, but the point is that if you like (as I do) to make breakfast the main meal of your day while travelling, you can do so right there and actually fill your stomach. Golly, what a concept. My only gripe was that the ATM machine on premises was inside the sports bar / gambling area, which, I guess, must be mandatory in Nevada. If you are into that sort of thing, I guess it makes sense. If you can't stand smoke as much as I can't stand smoke, it makes getting some spending money out of the machine a matter of holding one's breath for a while. Still, a great place to stay.

« Great Hotel- great price »

We were skeptical of staying in Pahrump and not in Vegas, but we were happy we did. We stayed there 5 nights while we attended Front Sight. Our king room looked like it had just been remodeled and painted. The room was very large and could have fit 2 king beds. Our only complaint was the lack of seating. There was one chair with a desk, but it would have been great to have had a couch or a recliner type chair - especially since there was so much room. The breakfast was nothing special - your typical hotel food, but they start serving at 5:30 which is a plus. They have a good size sports bar and although the hotel says it has a restaurant it is a stretch to call the eating area a restaurant since most of the tables are in the bar area and the others and in two rooms which features a mini bowling alley. There is a nice outside eating area but it was to cold for dinning when we were there. We did eat dinner there one night and it was very good, but a strange setting. The pool and inner court are nice too. We found the hotel staff to be very helpful and pleasant. We will stay here again when we return to Pahrump.

« Nice place to stay »

Would have been excellent if they had ice machines that worked. I like the outside ambiance with the palm trees. It's close to restaurants and a Walmart. They now even have a Dominoes Pizza nearby that offers delivery.

« Very Clean and affordable »

Like-new condition. Great staff. Good breakfast and fabulous burgers. Nice little lounge area that serves food. The only negative was the miniature children's bowling alley in the middle of the restaurant. Very distracting and noisy especially during NFL Playoff games. Would suggest bowling lanes closed during games.

« Hardly worth the trouble »

Have stayed at this location several times in the past. Since the casino closed the service at the hotel has been declining. Last visit was 1/14 thru 1/16/16, not hot water in room, young people on the desk flippant and dismissive. Buffet breakfast OK, dinner menu, not so much...

    « Pahrump, NV »

Good motel, good value and Close to Death Valley. The breakfast is a full breakfast. It has eggs and sausage along with the usual fare. But it's not restaurant quality. But it's okay if you're in a hurry and don't want to wait at a restaurant. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom was clean and nice.

    « Worth staying »

Enjoyed staying at this hotel, very friendly staff and good breakfast. Worth for the money. Good quality service. I was with my family and everyone enjoyed the stay. I strongly recommend to consider this hotel if planning to stay in Pahrump.

« Front Sight Customer Experience »

We go to Front Sight a couple times each year and have stayed a couple places in Pahrump. We seem to come back here. The rooms are adequate, the beds are clean and comfortable, and we especially like the sports bar. At the end of the day we can get a cold beer and dinner and watch sports without leaving the premises. This is not a romantic getaway. This is a guys weekend. The price is right and it certainly gets the job done. The bar serves Blue Moon on tap... I love that!

    4
    « Clean and comfortable »

Our room was very clean. The bed was comfortable but, as usual, bring your own pillow if possible. The free breakfast was okay, an actual buffet meal and not just yogurt and muffins. There is no casino attached to this hotel. There is not one crosswalk to be found...you will dodge vehicles on a four lane highway to get to the closest casino. In my room there was a coffee pot, microwave, and fridge.

    « Death Valley »

Excellent value for money. Big and clean room. Easy access to Death Valley. Very few motels serve such a rich breakfast, although one should not expect that a motel serves a breakfast like a 4* hotel.

« Two Cold Showers & Bad Breakfast in One Night was Enough! »

This is not going to be a good review unfortunately. Staying at a hotel over New Years Eve, you'd have to expect that some standards are potentially going to be below par - we're all human after all and our minds may be on other things rather than work, but we seemed to encounter the C team the night of our stay. The rooms appear to be of an older styling and we were allocated a room directly facing the road. Noise didn't seem to be too intrusive but the front door needed a decent shove to get the lock to engage (warped door probably) and the card lock would only recognise the door key 50% of the time. After returning from dinner we noted that the hot water was not working and advised the front desk. We were told it will be running in 15 minutes time. We wait 30 minutes and try the taps again - still no hot water. Called the front desk and advised that they were working on it and would call me back in 20 minutes. A further hour later, no call returned so I went to the front desk to check. Was tersely told it was back on again and to go try it. It was indeed working but appeared to trip out again within 5 minutes so my wife's shower was tepid at best, not great during a cold December. I re-advised the front desk that the hot water had stopped working, which was met with indifference on the end of the phone and I went to bed. Upon waking in the morning, I found that the situation had not changed. I managed to give myself a bath heating a small amount of water in the coffee maker which was nowhere near ideal. Going to the breakfast we were greeted with a serving of stale bagels and the rubberiest scrambled eggs I've ever experienced. This was the final straw and we couldn't see ourselves enduring this for another two nights which we had booked. We cut our stay short (first time ever) and checked out going to the brand new Holiday Inn less than 100m down the road. We were only offered an alternative room upon checkout, which was really too late if you cared about your guest's experience knowing the problems previously raised. Subsequent correspondence from the hotel indicated that the water fault would be fixed within 2 weeks which would have made our stay miserable if we had persisted. As a further tip to the front desk staff: when talking face to face with someone, wiping your nose on the front of your shirt mid conversation is not a good look and really grosses the other party out.

    « Pleasantly Surprising »

A comfortable, well appointed room in a relatively large complex. There were two queen sized beds, with extra bedding, though it wasn't needed. Very clean. We chose this location because it was a convenient stop over point on our route. Pahrump is a busy little town/city just west of Las Vegas. There is an abundance of casinos and, as we discovered later is famous for its laid back attitude to prostitution, apparently having a fair supply of brothels. The Best Western was easy to find and the staff were very welcoming. The rooms are housed in separate buildings surroundling a courtyard at the back of the reception area. Within the main building is a lounge area, with coffee and tea available 24/7, the restaurant, a sports bar, amply supplied with slot machines and a two lane bowling alley. The reception staff were friendly and efficient, if not very knowledgeable about local matters, especially local geography. When I asked for advice on which of two routes to take to Lake Tahoe, from Pahrump, first I was asked , " is that near Las Vegas?", which is over 100 miles in the opposite direction and then, " I would take that route because the other line is squiggley" There is no answer to that! Having said that our meal in the restaurant was really good, if a little over facing, though we should have remembered this from previous experience. There was enough left over, however, to provide lunch the following day.

    « Great No-Smoking Building »

We will definitely stay at this hotel the next time we come to visit relatives in Parumph. Our room was in the no-smoking building in the back of the hotel. The room was clean, smelled wonderful, and the King-Size bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and stocked with lots of delicious choices. Patricia was a warm, friendly, and delightful addition to our morning coffee. The Front Desk personnel were welcoming and inviting. Bobbie and Brittany were especially helpful.

    « Pleasant hotel »

Reception staff were very helpful. Rooms were big and nicely furnished, however, one of the rooms smelt really unpleasant, and people were smoking in the rooms around us. Don't bother with the breakfast, really poor, and unfriendly staff who couldn't wait to move you on. We stayed here as we thought it would be too hot in Death Valley, this meant a long journey out of Death Valley in the dark which was a bit scary. We should have stayed in Death Valley hotel.

    « Affordable, no frills »

A 90 min drive from Furnace Creek Visitor Center of the Death Valley National Park, this is an affordable, no frills motel. Pros: Hot breakfast which was a life-saver in the absence of many food options. Cons: Very basic. The hot water took 5 to 10 min to kick in every morning. Overall, a good deal for its price.

    « Big place »

The first thing you will notice is that it's huge with lots of rooms . We ( 4 of us) stayed here for one night and had no issues . Continental breakfast was good . Only complain is that the walk was kinda long walk from building to the breakfast area . Overall nice place to stay .

« Great Deal! Very Clean and Nice. »

This was my second stay at this hotel. It is super clean and new looking in the rooms. One of the best I have stayed at. Restaurant/Bar is basic but good. If you just want a decent meal and a good price, it will do fine. Lots of other eating options close by.

    « Disappointing Best Western »

Although the staff is so friendly, the rooms are noisy, bare, and not a place where we would return if in the area again. There appeared to be other hotels in the area that may be worth trying. Unfortunately I looked at some of these reviews and perhaps their standards were entirely different from the 4 of us who stayed in different rooms but had the same experience.

« Clean, comfy room and hearty breakfast »

« Struggling to be better »

The front staff and management need a tune up to improve efficiency and appearance. The cleaning products being used in the rooms leave behind a overpowering cheap perfume odour that hit you like a wall of stink. Guest experience could easily improve with more attention to detail. I hope they get it together as its a good location.

    « VALUE FOR MONEY »

We were very happy with this hotel. Nice location, huge clean room, comfy bed, adequate breakfast and very nice outdoor pool . Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely return and stay longer.

« All good except for breakfast »

Friendly and helpful staff, clean room, good bar/restaurant. But the provided breakfast has a lot to be desired. Four breakfasts and it was the same offered every morning. No variety at all. And what if breakfast if you can't have bacon??

    3
    « No Hot Water »

Never had hot water for my room over a four day period. Used another rooms shower, that a friend was staying in. Not a very good choice. I called the front desk and their answer was to let the bath/shower run. I did but wast water for 30 minutes just to get warm water never hot enough for a shower. What a waste.

If you find yourself near Death Valley or Las Vegas, Nevada....don't miss staying in Pahrump, Nevada at the Best Western. Nearby winery. Nice rooms, great staff, delicious free breakfast, daily newspaper, lobby popcorn machine....they have it all.

« Great Value compared to National Park »

We chose this hotel because the price was amazing, and I knew Best Western would be decent quality. We appreciated being close to Death Valley National Park and not having to pay the exorbitant prices for food and lodging inside the Park. We wish we were leaving the park on the east side because we would have stayed at this hotel another night.

    « Met All Expectations »

Good hotel to meet 5 day stay need. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ample. Used hotel while taking classes at Front Sight. Room was clean. There was a wet spot in the closet area, I reported it, and someone came right away to take a look. The heating/air was a little iffy, front cover dropped off. Needed extra blankets and was told there were none, but they were delivered to the room.

    « Average stay »

The room was clean the price within range. The mattress needs to be replaced and the floor in #103 a bit uneven but after a couple of hours I got used to it. The hotel is a short 1 hour away from Death Valley which made the choice convenient for my stay.

« Stopover after Death Valley »

Arriving in Pahrump we were surprised at the size of the place, we had been expecting something the size of Lone Pine where we had been the night before. Pahrump was in fact a sizeable town. The hotel was situated on the main road and was easy to find. The accommodation was however spread over a number of units which made it rather unusual. When we entered our room the adjoining room had the volume of their TV on full however as we were going out to eat we did not do anything about it. Having returned several hours later the situation was the same. Therefore went to reception and asked if they could do something about it. The gentleman on reception was rather indifferent to our request although he must have made contact with the occupant as eventually the sound was turned down, albeit we considered it still to be loud. Luckily the occupant turned the TV off around 11pm and after that we had a quiet night. Apart from the issue with the noise from the adjoining room our room was fine. Breakfast was available, there was plenty of choice and enough seating for all. Although the hotel itself was clean and well presented we think we would have reservations about booking here again based on our recent experience.

« No hot water! (or breakfast) »

My husband and I stayed one night while on a road trip to bury my father-in-laws ashes. We arrived at the hotel after a long day in the car. The room was nice enough. Large in size and took our dog. After going out to dinner all we wanted to do was come back to the room, take a shower and hop in bed. No hot water! I went to the front desk to see if anything could be done. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and told me that others had complained too and that he had spoken to maintenance and that the hot water should be back on soon. He said to give it 30 minutes. Never did get hot water that night. He also told me he would leave a message for the front desk person in the morning about the problem. When we still had no water the next morning my husband went to the front desk. He was told that maybe we weren't turning on the faucets correctly or that maybe the pipes had frozen overnight. (There was also no note left from the evening before as promised). Her solution was to give us a key to another room so that we could shower there. So we packed up our toiletries and drove to the other end of the hotel to take a shower. There was no offer of any type of compensation until my husband pressed the issue. After our shower we went to breakfast to find out that the Front Sight group had just been there and most of the food items were wiped out. No coffee, no silverware, very slim food selections, etc. The server did her best to accommodate us, but we had to ask for everything. We understand that things can happen, but felt that the staff did a poor job of handling the situation. All we wanted was a nice bed, a hot shower and breakfast before we hit the road again in the morning. We got 1 out of 3!

    « HIt and miss »

It's a nice hotel; it's clean and well kept. The prices were very reasonable, but we got a group rate - don't know what the regular rates would have been. That's the good news. Here's the bad: The front desk staff was in need of training. Making a reservation was a difficult process (even as part of a group - we had a block of rooms reserved, we just needed to call in and claim one with a credit card guarantee), and getting checked in was a slow process. Our experience in the attached sports bad / restaurant was Jekyll & Hyde-ish. We ate their twice, and the food was good both nights. The first night our group came in in twos and threes, and the service was good and timely. The second night we went there for a pre-arranged group dinner. It was a disaster - the extra help we were told would be brought in never materialized, and things went downhill rapidly. Our drink orders were taken but never delivered, and the food was taking 45 minutes or more to come out of the kitchen - my hamburger took an hour and fifteen minutes. It was so bad, that no one went back for our third night. Bottom line? The hotel and restaurant have potential - but they need to get their act together.

My wife and I just completed our third visit in as many years while attending Front Sight. This year was the best as the room we stayed in had been redone. The breakfast buffet is opened early to accommodate the students also. Great job.

I stayed here on my way to Death Valley N.P. I trust the Best Western brand and was not disappointed. In fact, I was surprised how good a place this is. Stayed here before travelling through Death Valley to Bishop. It's a clean hotel with indoor corridors and a safe feel. Car parking is plentiful. The wifi worked well for us. We had a reasonable meal sat outside the bar on the terrace because we didn't like the darkness of the inside or the sports bar feel.

    « Front Site Stay »

This hotel was very convenient for our stay and participation at Front Site. The special rate was especially helpful. The staff was friendly and rooms were clean. The breakfast which was included varied daily and provided ample choices with eggs, meat, fruit, etc. The pool and hot tub needed maintenance. The bar and restaraunt were smokey and service was poor on 2 of our 3 visits. The room was lacking any chairs.

« Some problems but good in the end... »

4 day business trip. Reservation not accepted at check in and over billed. Requested contact with manager asap. Room was very nice. Slight smell of insecticide and cleaners. Good HVAC, TV, WiFi. Property overall is nice and well maintained with the exception of the ice machines which were obsolete and noisy. Staff was courteous. Breakfast was good. The location was ideal for my work. They were in a "management transition" explaining much of the difficulty I was having. To their credit once they realized their error they did everything possible to correct it. I would stay here again. I would contact the local front desk directly to confirm reservations.

« Decent place, pet smell in room ruined it for me »

The hotel seems nice enough. The room had a microwave and a fridge. It was clean, the sheets were fine. Mattress seemed old, soft and lumpy. I liked the restaurant/bar. But the real deal killer was the smell. Smelled like animal pee! I have to say, this is a real problem these days. It's becoming rare to find a room that doesn't smell like pet. The bane of a sensitive nose!

    « It's OK »

Two nights in October 2015, part of a driving tour including Death Valley and Mt. Charleston. Rooms are basic but clean, bathroom entrance a little tight, limited soundproofing but not a lot of customers at the time. Majority of rooms are motel style, you'd have to keep the blinds closed most of the time. One of the buildings is different, block 1XX but I'm not sure. Pool looks OK - after a major storm in the area it was cold and waiting to be cleaned (it was actually cleaned the morning we left). Breakfast is good, the sports/gaming bar menu items have lower prices. Big draw: all rooms are smoke-free, smoking is prevalent everywhere else in Pahrump.

    3
« Pahrump was larger than we expected, but there aren't many motels. It was convenient to Death Valley. »

This was the only place on our 2 week trip that charged a $25 deposit in case we stole the towels.Breakfast was in a bar/ bowling alley that was hard to find. it was warm and crowded. We should've taken our breakfast outside to the patio where it was cooler.

Stayed at this location for 3 days. Last time I stayed here was in 2007. At that time, hotel rooms were OK, but outdated. This time the stay was fantastic. The room I had must have been recently restored. Decor was all new. Bed was extremely comfortable and the whole experience felt like I was staying at a higher end hotel. Well done Best Western.

I would not recommend this motel to anyone. We tried to check in, was given an already occupied room. Then we were told there were no rooms but they would pay for us a room at a casino across the road. As I was trying to check in the story changed and they would only pay the difference even though one of their employees had told us we would have no charge. Very unhappy with there service.

This BW is aptly named 'Oasis' because it appears to be one from the highway and becomes one when you see the property. Comfortable, clean and a repeat stop for us if we ever travel north of Las Vegas again!

We've stayed here before. The rooms that we've stayed in are large and very clean. This visit we were put in an inside entry bldg, nice rooms but we didn't realize that there was not an outside entry. So if that matters to you request an outside entry when you make reservations. The room was very large with a lot of empty space-no table and only 1 chair. They may be refurnishing the rooms. Other than that it was a great room. The food in the restaurant was very good, and the complimentary full, hot breakfast was great. Gaming is limited if that is important to you.

Under new management, the computer system didn't work right, we are redecorating. You've heard it all before. That's why the you didn't get the king bed you reserved, there aren't any chairs in the room, the neighbors shower sounds like it's in your room, etc. We reserved 3 nights and left after one!
