Best Western City Hotel is a genuine city hotel with 115 rooms. Our wine bar offers wine from small scale producers and a good variety of beers from both local as well as small producers. We offer good possibilities for parking where we have a number of our own in-door spaces in an adjacent garage that can be reserved in advance. Besides, there is plenty of parking around the hotel both on the streets as well as another garage as well as an outdoor parking operated by Q-Park. Best Western City Hotel is classical city hotel in a supreme location in the middle of the city. We offer rooms to affordable and valuable prices and in our wine bar we serve classical Swedish tapas as a smaller bar-menu. The hotel is located within walking distance from the congress facility Conventum as well as close to Orebro Castle and the outdoor air museum of Wadkoping. Our location offers great city shopping with the malls Vagen and Kramaren just by the hotel. There is also a great variety of restaurants around our hotel.

« Ok for one night... »

No AC in the room. This combined with a room facing the very busy road outside made it difficult to get a good night sleep. Good location, just a short walk to the center of the city. Nice staff, and a small vinebar in the reception area.

« Room not soundproof, 5-ish minutes from Örebro Södra Station, 2nd stay »

PROS - Second stay here. Previously stayed in a ?family room' which was good but booked their second smallest room this time, the 'compact room.' Requested ?a new or newly renovated room? and received a whole other room (seemingly called the ?business' room according to the management photos on TripAdvisor) which was newly renovated with stylish interior, neat, and cozy - really nice overall. Room size was perfect for two people. The room had most of the useful necessities such as a mini fridge, safety box, suitcase stand, kettle, and a fan - If you arrive with the train at Örebro Södra you basically just walk straight down a street until you reach the hotel, a 5+ minute walk - Great location with shopping, restaurants, a bus stop, and ICA supermarket just outside the hotel - Comfy queen-sized bed with two duvets - Had prepaid the room so check-in and check-out was less than 5 minutes each - Fresh and clean breakfast with a nice and calm atmosphere. Coffee and tea is available all day in the breakfast room where you're also free to lounge CONS - Room was not soundproof, we could hear people talking in the room next door as well as anything going on out in the hallway. Woke up at 7 AM one morning due to lots of talking and opening/closing of room doors which was really loud - Curtains were not blackout - The toilet in the room was not clean upon our check-in - We'd requested a late check-out already the day before and the reception employee assured us she'd note it to our room. However, housekeeping was still trying to access our room with a key card at the regular check-out time the next day, despite our ?do not disturb' sign OTHER - Would've rated the hotel lower this time around if not for the nicely renovated room we received upon request

    « Average hotel »

Hotel is good... Rooms are well equipped and breakfast is also very tasty. Staff is friendly and i had a great time. Only issue is the missing of a proper room service. If u need a bottle of water u have to go down, exit from hotel and go to the store in the corner of the road...its a little uncomfortable especially in a cold evening

We stayed here for one night. It's right near the city center which is a plus, which also means no free parking. The rooms are modern looking and clean, but on the small side. The walls are also extremely thin, we could every word the people next us said. They eventually went to bed and we were able to fall asleep. The breakfast was about average, and was good. If the walls weren't so thin I would of given higher marks.

« Good place to stay »

We stayed here for one night with our two year old son. Decent and central hotel, free WiFi, good breakfast, no noise, good toddler bed, good beer in the reception area and friendly staff. Basically everything we wanted for our short stay in this city :)

    « Lovely small hotel »

The room was a good size , great wifi, easy access to the main attractions, Helpful staff, the breakfast was ok. There some an odd taste to the eggs but the pancakes wear lush. Would suggest they provide an easy access to ice. Would defiantly visit again and recommend it to others.

« 15-minute walk from Örebro Central Station, Clean, Yummy breakfast »

Pros - Centrally located with the shopping streets and restaurants just outside, a supermarket and bus stop right down the street. Örebro Central Station is a simple 15-minute walk away, passing through shopping streets (so it's easy to find.) The Örebro Södra station is closer to the hotel - Hotel is small but neat and cozy - Stayed in a 'family room' which was more than decent space for a couple. Room and bathroom was clean and modern - Kettle and complimentary tea and coffee available in the room - Great breakfast selection - clean, yummy, and fresh. Breakfast room had a nice and cozy vibe with regular seating as well as comfy arm chairs - Got an hour late check-out no problem Cons - The 'family room' is quite small considering it being a room for a family. Bed was just okay, could've been softer - Fairly noisy air-conditioning in the room - Bathroom was tiny with no toiletries offered (soap from a dispenser by the sink and in the shower is available) - Not sure about the view in other rooms but there was no view from our room on the top floor. Also, the curtains aren't blackout so the light will shine through in the morning - Room door isn't completely soundproof so you'll hear other guests walking and talking outside

« Very central in Örebro »

Completely OK. Small rooms, with some noise if they are facing the main street below. Very nice desk staff och cleaning staff. Located very centrally with the main pedestrian and shopping street just a hundred meters away.

« Ok hotel (but no more than ok), decent price. »

We stayed for two nights in May 2016. The double room was a bit cramped, but quite stylish. The hotel as such could have been very good, but the staff seemed to be really uninterested and unenthusiastic ? a bit unprofessional, to be frank.

« Good location, walking distance train station »

Good location, friendly staff, good lounge with tea/coffee throughout the day. Rooms are quite small. Internet a little slow, good breakfast. nicely maintained, walking distance from the train station.

    « ear plugs? »

Just arrived. Very noisy ventilation in the room blowing air inside without any possibility to switch it off. It was told me it is like that in every room and there is nothing they can do. Oh...actually...ear plugs were offered to me....:) Not a good decision to pay in advance....

I've been working in hotels for ten years as a head chef and lived in hotels for months at a time and I don't complain much due to respect for the staff. But. Construction Work outside window on fifth floor without any notice from front desk. On arrival the entire floor outside the elevators were covered with cleaning equipment and huge bags of garbage, looked like the staff made a deep cleaning on some rooms but it smelled and the staff made no effort to move stuff so I had to carry the luggage over the vacuum cleaners and garbage. The bed was making lots of noises, on the second nigh I found an extra bed under my bed that was squeezed in and after I pulled that out on the floor the noises disappeared. The floor in the extremely small bathroom tilted the wrong way so the entire floor was covered in water after you had a shower. After the room was cleaned no new towels were put in, mine was thrown next to the sink. TV in the room was the size of an iPad. Staff at the front desk never looked up from the computer on checkin and never said hello when you passed the reception during the probably 20 times I passed. Same with waitresses during breakfast. Breakfast was good and the chairs was comfortable. This hotel has a problem with staff.

« Nice, convenient and friendo y staff. »

Stayed here over a weekend. The hotel is nice and confortable although the rooms are a bit small and the bathroom is tiny. Breakfast has a lot of different choices and was very good excepto for the juices, which are terrible apart from the fresh applejuice. In the rooms you fine hay you need. There is a small fridge that you can use but you will have to buy your own drinks etc downstairs (or in a supermarket). You will only find gel and schampoo in the room. I would possibly stay here again when back in Orebro.

« First class hotel in central Örebro. »

I stayed for here one night and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. It is conveniently located in the centre of Örebro with metered street parking outside. The staff were friendly, my room was clean and quiet and breakfast was excellent with a good choice.

« Friendly staff, central location, very good breakfast and comfortable rooms »

Stayed here during a business conference in a room on the 7th floor. The breakfast is very good - lots of choices. Location is central (about 8-10 minutes walk to the castle around 12-15 minutes to train/bus station) but quiet. A staff person even walked around the corner to help us read the sign at the bus stop about rerouting buses on the market day. Would recommend this hotel.

« Would recommend for 1 person traveling for business »

We travel a lot, both as a family and individually for work. I would gladly recommend this hotel for people traveling alone for business. The hotel has a great location, it is nicely decorated, is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would not, however, recommend this hotel for families traveling on vacation. The reason is the size of the room. We booked a room called "family room" which featured a roll-away bed in the photos online. When we arrived, it became clear that there is no room for a roll-away bed in the family room, so our 8-year old son had to sleep with us in the King bed, which resulted in no sleep whatsoever for me and my husband. Again, super hotel if you are traveling by yourself, but I would not go back there when traveling with my family. Breakfast was delicious and Internet worked great. Parking is on the street or in a parking garage across the street.

    « Nice central hotel »

The location is perfect. 2 adults and 2 small children in the same room. Comfortable bed. Clean room. It was the first time that I saw that they have cleaned below the bed! They left a card that inform the guests about this! Clean but small bathroom with shower. The bed was double and big! Not enough space on the desk if somebody wants to work with laptop. The garage costs 150 kr per day. Closed garage. The breakfast is good enough. Not something excellent. The second morning the breads were not enough and we waited 15 minutes to have some. The biggest problem that we noticed was that the room was very cold. The air condition was not regulated properly so my kids freezed and I allied re reception to have another one blanket for them. Should e warmer to be more comfortable. Due to the location I would recommend this hotel.

    « small rooms »

Checked in to this place in Sweded, rooms are surprisingly small. My corner room didn't even have a closet to hang the clothes. The curtains were made to fit another window, not that it matters this time of year but i can imagine coming in the summer where sun is up from 0400 morning !!! Breakfast buffet replay nice though
