« No Wifi, No explanation »

There was a sign at the lobby stating that the wifi system was being upgraded and that there would be interuptions, but actually there was no wifi the first day and feeble wifi on the second day. Compensation was an upgraded breakfast. Lighting in the room was abysmal, fine for sleeping but inadequate for reading. Soap and shampoo dispensers in the bathroom were almost inoperable and had to be opened up to get at the contents. Used towels were taken away, but not replaced the following day!! The "american breakfast" was good, as was the morning coffee. Front desk is on the ground floor and the lobby/breakfast area is one flight up. No bottled water in the rooms. Location is central but far from beaches. There are much better hotels for a slightly higher rate in this city.

« Great accommodation close to Main Town Noumea »

Use one of their single suit room for 3 night. Rooms are clean. great soundproof even-though it's close to the road you can hardly hear anything unless your window is open. Close to town and main grocery shops for your convenience.

« Great stay at Le Paris »

This hotel is very near the centre of town with good walking distance to shops and the markets and the water. Room was very clean and a good size. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Good breakfast too and excellent shower pressure. Wifi patchy at times but good connection from the Salon. Air conditioning worked well too. Will definitely be back.

« Good location, clean room, but uninspiring hotel »

Good location, clean room, but uninspiring hotel If you want to be in the center of town for one day, that is a good location hotel. If you want the beach and the view, then pick another hotel !!! Room size is o.k, very clean, like the usual standard of the Best Western Hotels, but very uninspiring. Simple design, as I said, zero inspiration. No lobby at all, to sit and relax, one not very friendly person at the reception. Just a simple business hotel in town. Not a hotel for nice vacation. Not a great hotel, but the price is reasonable.

« Just ok for a short stay »

This hotel is nothing special and just ok when you have business to do in town. The rooms are clean enough but have a distinctive the smell of a cheap hotel. The managers are helpful and friendly and try their best.

« How can you have such comfort at 65% off without a promotion? »

At the Best Western in Noumea (the Hotel de Paris), you have everything you would expect or desire from a five star hotel: good running water, TVs with multiple stations, quiet air conditioning, refrigerators, coffee machines, free bottled water, daily changes of bedding and towels, imported amenities, an elevator, continental breakfast, and Wi-Fi in your room, all for a third of the price of a five star establishment. You also are not subjected to noisy nighttime festivities with blaring music and late night drunks screaming in the hallways. Thanks to Phillippe and the the staff at the reception desk, we enjoyed our stay.

« Small but ok, its in the city, but not the Hilton or the price »

Basic room, with air-con, reception was helpful, cost was great for Noumea, maybe $140 NZ, but same price if you book direct including breakfast. Good location for overnight stay, to leave early in the am. Some of the best restaurants in Noumea are close by. Best Air-con we had, and the best and fastest wifi.

    « Good location »

We arrived at Noumea airport from Narita at midnight, but we already booked a shuttle bus through the hotel, we could take it. And the next flight to Port Vila two days later, it was an early flight, but we could also take a shuttle bus to the airport thanks to the hotel..The hotel is located in down town Noumea, it was very convenient to move to everywhere. We took ferry to Ile des Pins from the ferry terminal near the hotel. And we took a bus to Anse Vata from a bus stop near the hotel. Of course we walked to Place des Cocotiers and went up to F.O.L hill.

« Good for a one night stay »

My husband and I stayed here on the last night of our New Caledonia trip in August. The hotel is in a central city location, walking distance to the Latin Quarter, McDonalds and the City Square. The lobby is small and modern, but the room and the outside hallway were very spartan in comparison. The room was clean and had all of the basic amenities. We had some trouble with the shower (water temperature was either lukewarm or scalding hot) but otherwise it was fine. The flat screen TV was the most modern thing in the room. Great aircon, cooled the stuffy room down quite quickly. The new breakfast room is very basic. Staff are friendly but they didn't have a lot on offer. We paid about XPF$20 for 2x croissants, coffee, juice and some horrible "yoghurt". There is a great bakery down the road in the Latin Quarter (unfortunately it was closed on the day we were there). We would highly recommend you go there instead. Front desk staff were friendly and spoke English well. The lady on the desk when we arrived booked our airport shuttle for us and gave us some suggestions for places to eat dinner. Best Western is good for a one night stay if you have to take an early flight the next morning. The price is right and if you need an airport shuttle then Arc en Ciel will pick you up out front. We wouldn't recommend staying longer than that, though.

    « large room »

I really liked its large standard room with clean bathroom. Room interiour was very simple. good window view of a church. walking distance to town centre and some shops. Free wifi in room was nice and fast.

« Don't be fooled by the central location »

I was a little disappointed overall. I expected more from a big chain & the photos certainly seem to be better than the actual rooms. Very basic & in a central location but I would advise anybody going to Noumea to stay at either Anse Vata or Baie de Citron as there is so much more to do & it feels so uch safer at night. I chose this hotel because it is right in the city centre & I went there for work but unfortunately, unlike most City centres, there is very little open after dark regarding restaurants so it was a bit daunting walking round deserted streets looking for somewhere to eat. The room itself was basic but large, it had tiny fridge that had broken shelves was under the wardrobe & it had the standard tea & coffee supplies & adequate TV & a good safe . It was kept very clean every day & the in bath shower was nice & powerful & hot but could really do with some none slip mats . I asked one night for a corkscrew to open a bottle of wine & the hotel didn't possess one, let alone wine glasses. Next time I will definitely travel the extra 5 or 10 minutes & stay nearer the beach

    « Fine clean simple! »

If you just need a clean, simple, fine place to stay then it's a great place. Nothing special but rather central, well located to go to shops, to the harbour and to get a taxi to head off into the islands.

    « Simply a stop over. »

The Best Western, Noumea is a very simple hotel in a slightly confused city. Noumea is the gate way to wonder and yet it's a city that struggles with an identity crisis - not quite French, not quite Polynesian. Not quite third world, definitely not first. Would you go to Noumea itself for a holiday - no thanks? How about the outer islands? Yes absolutely but only when the sadness of a disgusting cruise ship is not about to land - that's another story. The Best Western is clean and simple. It's well placed to walk to restaurants and bizarre French jewellery shops. Staff struggle with English and there was confusion concerning airport transfers. Tip - have as much organised and prepaid as possible.

    « Perfect for a break! »

the Best Western Hotel Le Paris was a thoroughly enjoyable hotel to stay. Courteous staff and friendly, with many speaking English to make you feel more at home, and to be able to ask questions on activities etc. Our room was beautifully maintained everyday without the need for a ticket to be on the door asking for the room to be serviced. I would recommend the hotel as somewhere to stay. The hotel has a new breakfast room facility with local restaurants within walking distance.

    « Great city pad »

Nice hotel in the heart of the city next to the grand cathedral. Three floors of well kept rooms with aircon. Breakfast served with many options. 24 hour reception with English speaking staff. Walking distance to Le Marche and supermarket, and boat jetty . The owners are great hosts. Will definitely return.????
