The hotel was under renovation smallest bathroom I have ever seen Rooms could have been cleaner. Ate at bar and it was so cold in there Very nice area of town I would be willing to retry after the renovations are complete

    « Great Place »

Great location right on the bay. Unfortunately they were renovating the swimming pool and the building with the bay view rooms during my stay. At check-in they gave us free parking during our stay for the inconvenience. Very friendly & helpful stuff. Room was dated, but clean and comfortable. Refrigerator & microwave both in working order, free wifi with good signal. Room had a great sitting area great for relaxing & reading or doing a little work. Free breakfast had a nice selection; scrambled eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, assorted fresh fruits & yogurts. There were also cold cereals, muffins and bagels. Coffee and fruit infused water were available 24/7. Ample seating or you could take back to the room. Great bar/restaurant onsite, Italian restaurant with a piano bar across the street. Nice place to relax & enjoy South Florida!

    « I Super recommend »

The Hotel is fantastic there are educated customers and very polite. Also there are a beautiful view to river. The room there are good beds, tv and assistance when necessary. The parking and coffee break is amazing.

    « Concert in Miami »

Really a beautiful location. The bay view is to die for. It is fairly expensive for a Best Western. The staff is great. If you stay in the building with no view, the rooms serm older and less well maintained. You can't get the room with the bay view with your best Western rewards points. That really pissed me off.

« They Are Truly An Accomodating Group »

While on vacation recently in Key West, my wife had a very serious medical issue which required her to be taken to Mt Sanai Hospital. After staying in a over priced place by the airport that gouged the daylights out of me I found this property. Initially the receptionist was able to get me booked for just one night, but after explaining my situation the next morning they made accommodations for me. I had to move once or twice, but I was able to stay closer to the hospital. Every evening when I came in the staff always asked about my wife. Every morning as I was going out they inquired. The property is older but well maintained , they were actually in the middle of a renovation to one of the buildings while I was there. The pool is nice and clean. The onsite restaurant serves decent food and is priced right. Over all I would recommend this hotel and hope to go back under more favorable

« In remodeling mode but a great central location with on site waterfront grill. »

This is the first time I have stayed on 79th street causeway and was glad that I did. This is a centrally located hotel and it sits right on the bay. A great convenience is that it has a bar and grill on site that sits right on the water. This is an older hotel and Best Western is remodeling , but the staff is very friendly and helpful and my stay was very pleasant.

« Has really gone down »

Stayed here a lot over the years. It was always nice but now they have bugs in the rooms, specifically mosquitos. I stayed from September 17-20, 2016 and the room had mosquitos and a leak in the ceiling by the door. I am here again now, October 5th and THIS room also has mosquitos. I was bitten several times on the face and legs. They need to clear up the bug problem immediately.

    « Pleasantly surprised. »

Everything was excellent, in particular the Manager, Cristal. She runs a good team: Cynthia, Eva, Claudia, were also always very helpful (I'm sorry I didn't get the names of the gentlemen). For example, when we told them there was a mosquito in our room, they sent someone to spray the room. When I needed a letter from Cynthia, she wrote a very professional one. And Vivian, during breakfast, was an absolute darling; made sure we started the day on a positive note. It was such that after a first stay in August, we went back for other days in September. It was like our home away from home. Just one note: we found that the elevators and the area around the vending machines weren't always clean, perhaps guests had spilled drinks. I'm sure if I'd reported it to Cristal she would have immediately done something about it, but it would help for a staff member to check the situation around the property from time to time.

« Always well maintained and great staff »

We always stay here when we visit family in Miami. Great property, well maintained, great staff. They are starting to charge $10 per night for parking and $15 per person for breakfast. That reduces the value, but it is still better than any other option that we have been able to find in the area. Shucker's has great food, drinks, and TV's.

    5
« Stayed the night before our cruise »

It's about a 10-15 min drive to the port. We had a balcony water view room. It was beautiful. It is right above Shuckers bar and grill but inside we heard no noise. We were hesitant reading the reviews but we had no issues. It's not a 5 star hotel but it is Clean and has friendly staff. We will stay there again for our next cruise. My brother had a regular inside room it was very roomy with a bonus sitting area. Also As a bonus if your a Pokémon Go fan, they are a pokestop and a gym. We got some great Pokémon just walking around the hotel and parking lot that we didn't have! My niece was ecstatic over it and got a Pikachu for the first time!

    « Cockroach Infested & Moldy Hotel »

Spent a few days in Miami to finish out Florida trip. We went with Best Western because our experience with that chain has always been positive. Positive until this stay in North Bay Village. The moment we walked in the room, we immediately knew it was not going to be good. The room smelt very moldy and uninviting. We checked out another room to see if it would be better. To no surprise, it was the same moldy smell. So we hung fabric softener to the air vent to try to kill the smell. It...didn't help. Then we decided to have a look at the air filter. Now that was a real shocker. The air filter was completely covered in dust. So thick that nothing was getting through there. Dead cockroaches were between the air filter and grill. Once the filter was out, you could see a huge area that was blackened with mold. It was absolutely disgusting. We stayed the night. Hardly had any sleep because of the smell. The next day we thought that the smell did dissipate a tiny bit and thought we could stand the next 3 nights. Spent the day in Miami South and came back at the hotel. Now we started to see live cockroaches. One, ok... freaked me out but then more kept coming out. I'm not afraid of bugs... I camp in the wild but this was not the same. After killing a few, we decided to check with the front desk. To our surprise we were given a can of bug spray to take care of the situation (obviously nothing new to them). So here we are spraying all over the room, behind the beds (which btw have probably not been vacuumed in a decade) and room furniture and still the buggers were coming out. We cancelled our stay and the next day moved to another hotel. Worst stay in a hotel ever. I give it a rating of one star because the lady at breakfast was the best customer service I had received in my trip to Florida. Guest service were nice as well. Otherwise, if it were possible this rating would be in the negative. I'm disgusted just thinking of the place.

    « NIce location »

Stopped here for a night after a long flight from the UK. It looks a bit basic from the outside, but once in the rooms are nice and it is friendly. The restaurant and bar were buzzing and very popular. The view over the bay is quite spectacular. I would use this hotel again.

    « Ripoff »

With all the money they want you would think that a best Western would be a great choice...Cant recommend it's old and tire breakfast line was too long and the staff just isn't well trained especially the manager Crystal will rip you off

    5
    « a good overnight tay »

The hotel is under going remodeling as of 09/12/16 but the rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and friendly the Free breakfast was good and the breakfast attendants very helpful and friendly

    2
    « Strictly for emergencies »

This hotel has great views. That's honestly the only great thing about it. My room which was on the 2nd floor of the main building and smelled of mold I don't know the cause but the fact that there was a slow leak in the ceiling by the door did not help. The room itself was clean. The furniture was much too big for the room causing movement to be awkward. The front desk staff acted as though they were being held there against their will. I stayed for one day and I am glad it was for a short period of time inhaling mold is very bad for your overall health. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it. Also, the payment of $10 for parking is more than excessive.

« Pre or post cruise stay review advice »

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night post cruise. Having read the reviews we were not expecting the Ritz however we were a little disappointed with the overall upkeep, security and cleanliness of this hotel. Room review - Our room was not renovated and you could tell. It was very old in appearance and did not feel secure. There was daylight coming in from the door when locked. The area the room looked out on was beautiful however at night there is not much to look at apart from a very noisy road and a large carpark. On returning to our room we saw armed police officers in the car park which coupled with the noise and gap in the door left us feeling very on edge. Cleanliness of the room could be questioned with multiple black hairs found in common areas that could be avoided. Wifi was free and actually very good speed / coverage. Breakfast - Nothing to shout about and in comparison to other chains that offer this type of breakfast very poor offering Parking - Considering the area, the parking should be free but a nominal $10 per night is charged on check out. Staff - Mostly friendly, however not willing to engage in conversation. I would have expected to be asked about my stay on my departure. Area - If you have a car and you do not want to stay on the main beach area it is very accessible. The area is free from queuing traffic and allows you to explore both lower Hollywood and downtown Miami / Miami Beach within 20 mins. This is the best thing we found about this hotel. I would not stop in the same style of room again, however if I could guarantee a renovated room and within the main block (not overlooking road) I may consider this hotel again.

« GREAT VALUE AND LOCATION »

The Best Western on the Bay is fantastic. Great location on the bay, clean rooms, very nice pool, great parking, and a great price. The breakfast is good and complimentary. Shuckers restaurant and bar has a great view of the bay and so many TVs to watch every possible game on TV.

    4
« Clean hotel, breakfast included, good price. »

This hotel was basic but very satisfactory for our purposes. I like when breakfast is included because it makes it easier to get going on your travel plans each day. The facility was well kept and our room was nothing special but it was clean and tidy. The only negative is that it is not within walking distance of the beaches, but for the price it was not an issue for us since we had a rental car.

    5
« GREAT PLACE GREAT LOCATION »

NOT ONE COMPLAINT! Great rooms, good parking, cameras on the property, friendly help, clean rooms, good breakfast, close to downtown and close to the beach, Great restaurant with a beautiful view and good food.

    3
    « On the bay »

Basic place to stay. Room 452 overlooked the pool. Deep blue lights at night. Gets busy some nights due to Shuckers. Bathroom door hard to close. Air conditioning unit blew into your face if you were in the bed next to it. tub drain needed cleaning. shower handle hard to turn on.

« Best Western on the Bay »

I was here for only one night in a spacious room with two queen size beds, a smallish bathroom with a hair drier and a coffee maker in the room. My room looked on to the parking lot, where you can leave your car for $10 (not expensive for Miami, I found). Next to the hotel is Shucker´s Bar and Grill with a nice view of the bay.

    « Anniversary »

We were staying for 1 night in Miami and was looking for a place close to the airport and close to our dinner in Bal Harbour (Makoto). This Best Western was located right in-between our 2 places so it was convenient. The price was very affordable compared to other hotels and overall, the environment was clean and great! The STAFF was what made this stay incredible as we were only there to check in, rest, and have breakfast. This was a very friendly atmosphere, extremely helpful, and kind staff! The place was also much nicer than we anticipated, with a beautiful pool, restaurant and docks for us to walk out and take some nice photos! Parking was fair and was good. All in all, great place for a good price, but again, wonderful smiling staff made it extra sweet!

    2
    « 2 1/2 stars »

This was my first time in Miami with my girlfriends and we had a disastrous experience with Airbnb with a nasty room so we had to make last minute reservations at this location. I think the ONLY highlight of this place is the rep at the front desk around midnight on August 5th - I believe his name is Steven. He found us ladies a room last minute and answered all of our questions; he was super helpful. Parking is $10 a night and The location of the place is ok - not within walking distance to the beach but was advised we can take a bus that runs every 15 mins. We were on the bottom floor and the walkway to our room was narrow, and dirty. The room was small and ok - could've used a vacuum to the floor though. now what really put a damper on this place was waking up to find roaches in the room! I wasn't really crazy about the place to begin with but this solidified that we did not want to stay all 3 nights as planned. I checked out at the front desk with 2 people, male and female didn't know their names, and advise them both about the little critters and the female just nonchalantly said, "oh im sorry" and the man didn't say anything but he did cancel the reservations for the other nights and provided me with a receipt. I believe they could've atleast been a little more sympathetic about the roaches but the way she said it was as if they were used to it. I wouldn't recommend booking here unless you are desperate, as we were at midnight due to issues with our initial reservation.

    « Layover »

We had a one night lay over and stayed here. We checked in and went to our room. I was a little concerned after leaving the lobby. The hall going to our 3rd floor room looked a little old but once I unlocked our door everything was fine. The A/C already had our room nice and cool. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. No problems.

Stayed at Best Western on the Bay North Village. Great location for a stay over to go to Port of Miami. Clean , great pool area, wonderful restaurant. Great views. Highly recommend Staff helpful and breakfast good

« Nice hotel for a good price »

The Best Western on the Bay Inn & Marina is located in North Bay Village, but when you have a car it's no problem to reach Miami beach. The breakfast was nice and the room was big. The walls are pretty thin and we had one cockroach in the room. The outside area is nice (when you like bar music by the pool). There is a little harbour right next to the hotel which looks great in the sunshine. Parking costs 10 Dollars per night which is a bit much for this location.

    3
    « It's OK »

The Hotel was OK. We were there for two nights when we visited Miami Beach. The room was clean but not nice. The room was very dark and old. The staff was professional and the breakfast was OK. It's possible to go to Miami Beach by public transportation, it's a twenty minute ride. We had the option to park our car for 10$ per night. There is a restaurant right at the hotel wich is all right.

    5
« Beautiful pool, nice view, great breakfast and very clean rooms »

The pool was big, clean and with a wonderful view of the ocean. There is pool bar that sells good food, including veggie burgers, at a reasonable price. My only critic is that they automatically add 18% tips to your bill, even if you buy a couple of meals only. A bird stole a piece of my bun as soon as the plate was set on the table and the brought me another burger without any charge. The breakfast is very complete, it has cereal, yogurt, pancakes, eggs, fruits, etc. The rooms were big and very clean. We stayed only two nights, but we rented three rooms and were a total of 11 people. None of us had anything bad to say about this hotel, and I have to say that there is picky people in my family.

    2
    « Broken sofa bed »

Booked a room with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed and was assigned room 103. The sofa bed was broken with tape all over it and metal wires poking out, bottom layer was torn and hanging on the floor. When checking in, the TV remote was missing and few minutes later, a maintenance staff came with another remote. After asking the front desk staff about the broken bed and if it is safe to sleep on it, a maintenance staff was sent to the room to take a look but there was nothing he could do to fix this since it was basically broken and need to replace. He did put more layers of tape to cover areas where the metal wires was poking out so that we would not poke ourselves ( I wish that I could post pictures of the broken sofa bed which I took up here). The bed sheets was so old and appeared milky yellowish. 3 out of 5 family members got bug bites after one night sleeping on the beds and sofa bed. The facial tissue box was empty and have to go ask for another one. The only thing I like about this hotel was that the staffs were friendly, especially the lady name Vivian who served the breakfast.

    4
« Good value and great staff »

Clean and comfortable, but the bathroom is a very small closet! Breakfast was very good and the service was excellent. They were very helpful as we needed to store luggage after checking out. There was some remodeling construction in the hallway/rooms on the route to the lobby, but no noise and an alternative route was easy to access. The small sitting area was a step down from the room--unexpected! They should have used some of this space in the bathroom as it was so small--no counter space and could barely turn around in it!

    « Trip to Florida »

Its comfortable, the staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast was great. The bay view is amazing and the pool was real nice too (which my kids enjoyed alot). Its a great location because, although its not too close to the beach, its close enough and still be out of traffic jam zone. For the money, I was extremely satisfied.

« We came back to Best Western Plus for the place and service »

After our early morning cruise embarkment, we drove to Best Western Plus. We were greeted by the receptionist and told our room was ready. We went directly to our first floor room in the main building. Our handicap room had a large walk in shower. The room seems to have been changed from a drive up room. There was a drop in the floor to the seating area and the patio door opened directly to a hedge. The room is adjacent to the pool area so if you want to nap in the day, it is very noisy because of the children enjoying the pool experience. But it was good to hear they were happy. The positive aspect was the room was close to the pool when we wanted to swim.

    4
« Great boardwalk marina find »

Great find with an incredible marina view for the price and reasonable attached restaurant. Breakfast, although good did not have sufficient seating, which caused queuing problems for seating. Issue with a very noisy neighbour, but staff worked seriously to resolve problem. Very happy with find and staff.

« Reliable, good value. No bay views (unlike stated on Expedia booking). »

Offers all you expect from Best Western - clean rooms, good showers, appropriate breakfast. Excellent atmosphere at the bar downstairs, the outside part is fun in the evenings. Extra money for parking. 4 stars is for false advertising on Expedia. I booked a room which explicitly stated "with bay views" (picture attached). Don't believe it. You going to see the bay only if you go out of your room and walk towards the part of the corridor facing the bay. The real view from your window is a corridor where people walk back and forth to enter/exit their rooms, which makes you keeping your windows always curtained. Otherwise, it's good value for Miami, just have the right expectation.

    4
« Good rooms, great view, great bar! »

Large, clean, comfortable rooms with excellent view over the bay. Coffee machine, fridge, safe, iron and ironing board all in room. Excellent rates. Good food and drinks in the bar. Some interesting cocktails too! Hotel breakfast was surprisingly good with many options. Had parking costs included in room rate by booking in advance.

    5
« Great price awesome location »

I couldn't have asked for a better room for the price we paid. The staff was awesome. They upgraded our room. It was ready when we got there. The view from our room was amazing. And the location was perfect.

    4
« Great location and price »

My dad booked two rooms with two double beds for a great price. The location is great and has a beautiful view of the ocean. The pool looked nice (we didn't use it only because we were always out!) The front desk clerks were friendly and provided us with everything we needed, including local attractions. The complimentary breakfast was good and the employees were the friendliest I've ever met.

    5
« Great stay on the water. »

We were traveling to Miami for a baseball game and needed overnight accommodations. The front desk and entry are very nice and welcoming along with the people working. The room was clean, nicely decorated which was recently remodeled including the bathroom. The room was a little crowded but included a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable and there was a good sized balcony with a small table and 2 chairs. We did have a water view. The restaurant on site has amazing fish tacos and key lime pie. The water view from the restaurant at sunset was beautiful. There is a good sized pool also. This is a great place for a short stay.

« Great hotel great service! »

We really loved this hotel. It is close enough to drive to South Beach Miami beaches and yet not too close. It has a great restaurant with delicious food and drinks, the staff is very pleasant and they offer a very nice continental breakfast. We only reserved one night but stayed a second night because we liked it so much. We also loved that there was a breakfast room attendant who kept the food fresh and tables clean. She made the waffles and brought them to your table. Nice clean pool and lots of deck area. Beautiful view of the bay, we watched the boats come and go. There is a $10 parking fee per night.

    4
« Fantastic views and bar attached »

Great location and views, room was nice, we paid for a bay view with balcony, it was only extra few dollars. The staff were very friendly, but the bar attached made this place great for us...... Met many friendly locals over beers and had nice dinner looking over the water. Staff very helpful and friendly.

« Lovely view shame about the hotel »

Sorry to say other than the views I wouldn't go back, the room wasn't serviced while we were at Miami Beach for nine hours, the door card was temperamental to say the least and the carpet in our room was wet (presumably from it being cleaned) we stayed 2 nights and it was still damp when we left. When I told the front desk about the room not being serviced it felt like he was calling me a liar, being told I shouldn't leave the do not disturb sign on the door, it wasn't!!!!

« OK for one night »

Not a an exceptional place . Ventilation system was poor but ok for one night. Breakfast was ok too . If you are looking to crash for one night its ok . Dont expect royal breakfast . There back entrance to rooms was so dirty , they had open garbage cans and it was smelly every where. location was good , beautiful view of ocean and downtown

    « Great pool »

Would stay there for the pool, great location overlooking the bay. Clean rooms. Hot and cold breakfast. -Loud music playing at the pool starting at 10 pm. -Breakfast room is freezing so take a sweater when having breakfast. -parking charge is 10 dollars a day.

« Our trip to Miami »

I would recommend staying here. Everything was close by. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. Ms. Vivian was very nice and extremely helpful. Parking was ok. We didn't get to get in the pool because it rained most of the time we were there, but it is nice. The only thing is that the restaurant was a little expensive.

« Dirty annex at Best Western On the bay Inn & Marina »

We spend 2 nights in this hotel (6/7-6/8). The hotel has two buildings and they gave us one room in the annex which is well located as it is on the water front. Unfortunately this annex is old and surrounded by a huge open garbage container in the parking as well as a garbage collector which smells bad as the door is always open and dirty liquid continuously leaking from the inside. Also the way to the elevator is narrow and dirty. I looks like the way to underground. The room is acceptable except that it smell humidity and the ac very noisy. The bar is OK, waiters are motivated. The breakfast service is good. The lady in charge was very helpful. The free wifi in room did not work.

« Miami On The Bay »

Great location, great hotel chain and quality on services offered. This hotel is very well located and let us on an easy spot to go where we want in Miami area. I had a pleasure time there and I will return next time. Great parking area, pool area, restaurant and bar located on site wih great prices.

« Good place a bit far from South Beach »

It's a bit far from South Beach but it is located in a calm neighbourhood so you get good sleep! Our room was spacious and clean. Our bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had enough towels. The breakfast is simple but good. The staff are friendly and nice. You can easily go to the beach with the trolley which is free and has a station nearby.

    « Great value lodging »

Visited twice in June, staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Room was clean and roomy, the softest towels I have experienced in a long time. Breakfast tasty and plentiful. And 24hr coffee in the lobby

« Convenient Hotel in Mid - Miami »

The Best Western on the Bay was a good spot for my friends and I to celebrate a long Memorial Day weekend. It was located centrally to most spots we wanted to visit, and seemed like a lot of others took advantage of it's location (also right on the bay, which provided for great views). I was disappointed to find out that it was wrongly advertised on the third party website that they provided rollaway beds...we were told this upon check in (rudely, I might add) that "they have never offered rollaway beds in the history of the hotel". Regardless, we did not let this ruin our trip, and simply squeezed ourselves in the room. The bathroom was spacious, which was helpful in the double room. We also enjoyed the restaurant downstairs and being able to relax at the pool. For the price, it was very reasonable, and pretty much exactly what you would expect for what you paid. Staff was friendly and helpful when needed. Be aware that there is a $10.00 parking fee per night per car when you arrive. Overall, it was a good stay and I would book again if needing a last minute hotel away from all the hustle and bustle of Miami.

    4
« Clean Room Great View »

Although this hotel is somewhat outdated I found it to be very clean and the employees were pleasant and professional. My room was located on the fourth floor overlooking the bay with the restaurant located just below our room, which made people watching and the boating activity on the bay entertaining. The only gripe I had with the hotel is that on the last day the elevator broke and it made carrying all of our luggage down four flights of stairs very exhausting. The hotel offered a continental breakfast and the food was great but the breakfast bar was located in another building from where our room was located.

    « Family Trip »

Average hotel. Reasonable price. A bit far off from South Beach but still ok as you can take the public transit. Staff not too genuine and I believe we were misled on a few things. Appreciated the free shuttle to the airport. Breakfast was decent and the kitchen staff were very helpful and kind.

The staff was very courteous and attentive. Checking in and out was quick and the lady in the breakfast room was simply awesome. However; the big disappointment was the hotel lobby and our room had a terrible smell. We had to go to the store to get Febreze to help eliminate the odor. It was horrible and we will not return to this hotel.

« Good hotel in great position »

We stayed here for one night and loved our rooms and the position on the hotel overlooking the water, room was in the separate block and was clean and the beds comfortable, our fridge wasn't working initially but was soon fixed after a call to reception. Great pool area with pool towels from reception and good breakfast.

« Good place to stay! »

We´ve stayed at this hotel 2 nights before our flight back home from MIA. The hotel was nice, but a bit outdated and the smell in the room was not the best but ok for the price in this area. The breakfast was very good, everything you could think about and a very nice woman was looking after it all the time so that nothing runs out. The pool was great, you had a great view over the ocean and in the sky!

« Great stay! Awesome view! »

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our visit to Miami. When I booked the hotel I didn't know we'd have a balcony room. The view was absolutely amazing, however the advertisement pictures are deceiving. If we looked straight we looked on to the parking lot but to our left was a view of the ocean which was beautiful. The service was great! We were always greeted with a smile no matter what time we came back to the hotel. The staff was just wonderful and always made us feel welcome. The rooms were a bit out dated but I would definitely consider staying at the hotel again.

« Great Place to stay »

The hotel is an older one but has been remodeled nicely and rooms are clean and comfortable. The real treat comes with the staff that go above and beyond to make your stay a nice one. I have been making several business trips to Miami & stay at this hotel every time because of the way I was treated from the very first stay. RJ & Eva at the front desk are exceptional & know me by name as well as Vivian who warmly greets me by name every morning and makes me a waffle. I do not know all the names of the rest of the staff but all greet you with a smile and do what ever they can to make you feel welcome.

« good hotel on location that requires car »

the hotel was nice, kind of a motel style, the room was quite big with balcony but it was very humid, felt like the bedlinen was wet? all essentials available in the room like coffeemaker, fridge? breakfast was ok, standard. pool area nice and clean, heated pool. parking is charged 10$ per day but next to the hotel parking there is public parking and restaurant parking for free so use that instead.

« First trip to Miami »

Location is close to beach. Our room overlooked the bay. Beautiful. Great pool. Shuckers restaurant right there with good food and service. Hotel staff are great. Breakfast manager, Vivian, is a darling person. Loved her. WiFi was not the greatest tho.

    « Fantastic! »

Rooms and service were impecable, clean, spacious, well furnished, good beds and tv, great balcony. On the water--all rooms had a great view of the bay, and the restaurant bar was large, right on the water, and well served. Food was very good, although not stellar.

« Great all around hotel! »

I stayed at this hotel from April 9th to April 12th. The room was very clean and comfortable. Fresh bed sheets, the mini fridge worked fine as did the microwave and coffee machine. Oh..., and free breakfast included every morning! The staff was very nice and willing to help if any issues arose. Check in & Check out was flawless. The location of this hotel makes it perfect to reach the main attractions, South Beach, Miami Beach and whatever other destination South Florida you might have in mind. Thumbs up on this booking and experience!

« Very Noisy and carpets were very dirty »

On our booking we mentioned we had 80 year old's that needed easy room access. We were then given rooms on the third floor, the furthest rooms away from the elevator and the closest to the Road which was extremely noisy. The hotel was only half booked so they could have been a lot more accommodating The carpets in the room were very dirty, we always remove our shoes at home and in any other accommodation and all of our feet were black with dirt There are no lights on the balconies so not easy to use in the evenings and they have the audacity to charge you $10 to park in their own car park, disgusting! Free wifi connected but did not work The only good thing about this hotel was the two ladies at breakfast, who were fantastic. Helpful, friendly, accommodating and the only good thing about our stay there

    « Great stay »

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. Walter picked us up at the airport and gave us some useful information that helped us organize our days in Miami. Every day Vivian was a delight. She was caring and she took very good care of us. The hotel is clean and comfortable. It took us about 40 minutes to get to Miami beach as we had to ride the L bus. There are some stores and restaurants around. We had a very good time.

« I could take it or leave it.... »

I had picked this particular hotel because it offered transportation from the airport to the hotel, and from the hotel to the port to catch a cruise. When I called them to arrange for a shuttle from the airport, I was told they were under new management and they didn't offer that service any longer. When we checked in, it was well after 1am The room was OK but it just didn't seem very clean. In fact, my hubby felt more comfortable in his jeans and t-shirt on top of the covers rather than getting all tucked in under the sheets The next morning when the sun was shining, we could see gaps in the door (not that it makes any difference, but it just didn't seem very secure) The breakfast in the morning was alright The last nugget of information was when I returned home from my cruise a week later, I found my credit card had been hacked. I know it was from this location because I don't use it very often and had given it to the front desk upon check in for incidentals.

    « Very nice place »

Even though this hotel needs to be updated, we found it to be very nice and clean. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. ANYTHING we needed was taken care of right away. Nice pool and Shuckers restaurant next door was delicious! I would recommend new pillows. They were terrible, but the beds were very comfortable. Overall, great stay!!

    « good »

was a very well maintained hotel for the age it seemed to be....very clean.... nice area...restraint needs some help with the menu but the view was awesome .The staff was great and very friendly .We will plan to stay again at this same hotel when we come back to Miami. ..The bus will take us anywhere we need to go. It is a great system.

    3
    « Good base »

Good for what we wanted. Free parking, clean comfortable room but we were out all day. Pool and great view over the bay. Shuckers restaurant was very good, inexpensive and some good beer. Easy to find and also good access to South Beach without the extra expense of hotels there.

Hotel is simple but very comfortable, clean and practical. We had a wonderful hospitality, concierge team was very helpful and polite, and they made our staying much more pleasant. We truly recommend for other travelers

« We love this hotel »

We usually stay at this hotel before/after a cruise. The hotel is away from the airport, so it's much more relaxing. Rooms are comfortable and come with a flat screen TV, coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. The hotel has a free continental breakfast just off the lobby. Breakfast offers cold cereal, breads for toasting, and a waffle maker. They also have some hot food. Scrambled eggs and sausage are also available. I also want to mention the woman who works the buffet. I wish I knew her name, but she is great. She keeps everything restocked, and she also operates the waffle maker during busy times to keep things moving. She is very pleasant and nice. This is actually something that I can say about every employee that I've met at this hotel. The staff has been outstanding. We were told on this visit that the hotel has been purchased by new owners. The owners plan some remodeling (always a good thing). Actually, new ice machines had arrived the morning we were leaving. However, with new owners come other changes. Apparently, they are ending airport pickup. They are also ending cruise port transportation. They used to offer a couple vans on the weekend to the Miami cruise port (with a reasonable cost). The no airport pickup may be a deal breaker. Depending on what the cost is for a cab or Uber on our next visit, we may have to find a new property. There is also a restaurant on the property (near the pool). The restaurant is called Shucker's. It always seems to be busy, and it looks out on the bay with indoor and outdoor seating. We usually get ours to go and sit near the pool. Also, across the street is a bus stop. You catch the "L" for $2.25 each way, and in 30 minutes you are on Lincoln Road Mall in South Beach.

    « Okay, not great »

This was our second stay here. Somewhat disappointing. Since we were staying three nights, I asked for a balcony room and we were given a room with no balcony. I called the front desk and they said they would change it. We waited around in the lobby for them to change the room. Just an extra hassle to move rooms-- would have been nice if they gave us what I requested in the first place. The bathroom at the new room was small. This place didn't even have body moisturizer, just soap and shampoo? The TV was terrible with lines running through the picture; they need to get cable and get rid of the dish. The bed was rock hard. The ice machines were non-existent at this building; they weren't working. The toilet got clogged up, they had to call them to come fix it. Oy. Attitude at Shucker's, which we used to like. I guess the servers were practicing for their future jobs on South Beach. Ridiculous prices for drinks if it's not happy hour. Now it's $10 to park here, meanwhile they have parking galore. Geez, just add that onto the cost of the room. Okay breakfast. The pool was nice. But next time we visit, I'll look somewhere else.

    « Comfortable stay »

My mom and I stayed here for two nights prior to our cruise. We enjoyed our stay, found the room very clean and the beds comfortable..The breakfast room provided a good breakfast, there were tables inside and outside in the courtyard by the pool. Vivian was working in the breakfast room, she was friendly and keep the area very clean. Our room had a balcony and we faced Biscayne Bay which gave us a great view. The bathroom was small but very clean. Carpets are older and show some wear but we didn't find the room smelly like some people previously mentioned in reviews. We ate at Shuckers restaurant and sports bar one night and it was good but I did find the music was way too loud. Good music and atmosphere but you had to almost yell to talk to each other sometimes. There are other restaurants within walking distance. We walked across the bridge towards Miami beach and hopped on the free North Miami beach trolley that was provided. Bus stop is across the street from Walgreens pharmacy. We got off the trolley on Collins Ave where the shops and restaurants are located. We accessed the beach on 69th ave/st. Hotel also provides a shuttle to the port and airport. We were going to the port early so we choose to get a cab. Price was about the same. Would certainly stay again at this hotel.

« Very good location, comfortable and good value for money »

We stayed there for two nights during our visit to Miami. We preferred this hotel instead of staying on the beach itself for few good reasons. The hotel is very close to the beach so we did not have any problem accessing the beach whenever we wanted. In addition, if you want to go somewhere in Miami you don't have to go through the Miami beach traffic (taking Collins Ave). Good thing is the hotel provides free overnight parking. Hotels on the beach charge you about $30/night (if you can't find the street parking) for the overnight parking. They have free breakfast included. Breakfast was very good and the staff was very courteous. I was really impressed by their swimming pool. It's heated, opens till late and very nicely decorated.

    « Awesome »

I really enjoyed my stay here. Very clean, great pool, great staff, breakfast was ok but wish they had nonpork options. The restaurant below is really good and reasonably at happy hour 5-7. Good wings....would stay again and recommend.

    « Lovely »

My daughter and I stayed 15th to 17th April and found it lovely. Weather was poor when we arrived Friday evening but was made up for by the wonderful food and atmosphere in shuckers! Rooms are very clean and roomy. Unfortunately we didn't have opportunity to use the pool! The views across bay are amazing. Our thanks to Walter for all his help. The hotel was great value and excellent accommodation

    3
« Wonderful View of the Bay »

It's a Best Western. Great for the budget-wise traveler and families. This one is special! I was given a room on the 5th floor right above the Shuckers Bar and Grill. I love the ocean view! The room is clean, comfortable and the noise level from the bar, other guests is kept to a minimum. The service staff are warm and friendly! I love Vivian - she's the lady who welcomes guests and helps them during breakfast, she's the best! Always smiling and really friendly to everyone. I only reason I gave it a 3 star is because of it's location... You can Uber, anyways... so it's not really a big deal.

    « Amazing Hotel!!! »

I booked a room last minute and was given a room on the 5th floor over looking the water. Such an amazing view to have when waking up. It was a short stay but was able to eat at the restaurant downstairs and would say it was DELICIOUS. Would definitely stay again next time I'm around. Staff was friendly and continental breakfast was worth waking up early for.

    5
« Great place to stay! »

The staff was very friendly and helpful and seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs. The grounds and room were clean and fit our family needs perfectly. EVERYONE in our family enjoyed our stay which means my husband & I, 2 young adults & a teenager. That's multiple age groups with lots of likes & dislikes, so you do the math on that! We all agreed, if in that area again, we'll go back and stay again!

« Far from European standards... »

After spending 13 hours on the bus (not good idea) we could not wait to get some rest... checked in by not very friendly reception staff. We booked friends and family rate as we work in BW as well... they asked for proof that we really work in BW and our business cards were not enough for them... so we spent half an hour on the phone to call back to england to send us a special letter... room itself was ok...everything u need. Our room was in another building - no porterage offered... We had to pay for the room straight away-no problem but they charged extra $100 in case we smoke in the room or bring pets???? It took almost months for money to come back to my account. Morning breakfast was horrible...plastic plates, cups, cuttlery... waiting for ages for the table... buffet always empty.one waitress for a lot of people... I would not stay again...

« Lovely setting for a holiday hotel! »

Called the hotel when we arrived at the Miami airport and the hotel person said someone would be by in approximately 30 minutes to take us to the hotel. We enjoyed an interesting and informative drive to the older hotel. What a great location on the Biscayne Bay! We were pleased with our king size bed, the bedroom and a great view of the pool and bay. The room is older in style and decor but was clean and efficiently laid out. The elevator was around the corner to make it easy to deal with luggage. Breakfast was the standard hot and cold breakfast with two ladies serving. There are three servers but only two work each day. One of the ladies is so good she even asks if she can make your waffle. They make a mean batch of scrambled eggs! The front desk staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. If you want a cab, they usually can have a cab for you in five to ten minutes. The pool area was clean and well planned. Would definitely come back for the place and service!

« Improving its service everyday »

Unfortunaly the parking is not free ($10) but the helpful staff and the incredible breakfast compensate that. Well located, let you move easily from beach to Mall. Also you can enjoy the swiming pool in a restful area plenty of sun and shade.

« Best Western On The Bay & Marina »

Room 561 had the most amazing view across the bay...stunning! We knew from previous comments the hotel decor was a little dated & that was of no concern to us. The location is excellent if you was somewhere a little quieter but easy access to Miami Beach. Bus was right outside hotel & easy to use. Our room could have been cleaner & breakfast a little chaotic but all the staff could not have been more helpful.

    « Good value hotel »

great location for us from the airport after renting a car. liked the drive down to south beach area. glad we did not stay in south beach area bc it was crowded and loud and we were traveling with kids. the hotel was very quiet and clean. room was very large. nice patio. very small workout room. pool heated. hotel right on marina area so we ate take out pizza for dinner and watched the boats/sunset. very nice.

« Great loacation and staff. »

Hotel located directly on North Bay and has a beautiful view of the bay. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Although an older building, it is very well maintained. Rooms are comfortable and very quiet. Amenities include a nice sized pool which, during our stay, was not overly crowded. Breakfast buffet is adequate with a decent selection of both hot and cold breakfast items. Adjoining the hotel property is a nice, reasonably priced bar and grill which you can enter without leaving the hotel property. Will definitely stay again when in the Miami area.

« Great comfortable room and very helpful staff »

We had reservation for 8 days. We got help from Krystal and RJ to paus in the midle for Our Orlando trip. Krystal booked car and helicopterflight for us to. Very helpful and the breakfasthostess that i missed the name of is very sweat and caring. Her waffels are delicius! Nice big rooms both stays and clean. Maybe a little late cleaning at 15 when we got in from the pool. Wifi, Coffee and cool drinks complimentry in the reception added with free hygenic products give the hotel 5 in rating. Even free ride from and to the airport is apricciated. About 45 min varm walk from the miami beach. We recomend!

    3
    « Short stay »

It would be a top quality hotel but does need some upgrades in the rooms. Its in a prime location which makes up for the room itself. If I am in the area and want to place that I can sleep and feel comfortable, I will stay here. The price gives you great value for your stay.

    5
    « Great location! »

Great location, very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were clean with a nice view of the water. Only issue we found was the breakfast area was way too small for the hotel. The food was good, nice hot breakfast, but the eating area was so small some people had to stand to eat.

    1
« Awful hotel. Do not book it - even if you think it's cheap »

I booked this hotel because I think that BW hotels in Germany are actually ok. This hotel is in another dimension. And the price was good for Miami. We waited for an hour for the airport shuttle bus and it was a really old bus which smelt and was falling apart. The reception staff were friendly enough and it stopped there. The hotel stank and was damp. I couldn't be sure if the linen had been changed and my daughter kept asking if there were bed bugs - I didn't dare to look. We were on the 3rd floor in a separate building. The lift didn't work. There was a carpet throughout the room - even in the bathroom (well room with a mirror and washbasin) and my feet swelled up from walking barefoot on it. The room stank of dampness. The bed felt damp. There was no ventilation. The door didn't fit in the frame. It was dark with net curtains and dark furniture. But there was a massive TV, a microwave, a fridge and a coffee machine. But that didn't matter because we didn't want to stop in the room. There's a restaurant which is privately owned and is directly at the sea. The prices are high and the quality of food is, for our European standards, terrible. There's a supermarket just down the road where we went a few times. The breakfast. OMG. You eat it in the foyer and the place is full so you wait for a table. You have plastic plates, cutlery and cups. There's only toast bread or yoghurt or scrambled eggs or something in a sausage shape. Gross. I had actually booked the hotel for a few days later after a cruise but I cancelled it. There was no way I was coming back. It was my worst ever holiday experience.

    5
« very nice affordable Miami option »

We had a very good experience. This is a fantiastic location in North Bay Village to see the Miami area. Make sure to get a room over looking the bay above Shuckers Bar and Grill. This is a eating establishment at the Marina with an awesome view of Biscayne Bay. There were numerous great eating establishments within a 20 minute drive.

    « A good hotel for a good money »

Everything was fine, personnel is friendly and ready to help. The breakfast is a little bit unusual as for Europeans, but overall good. There is an open-air pool in the hotel, which looks to be nice. We didn't use it though. The room was clean and well furnished, TV and WiFi worked perfectly. The room air conditioning system could be adjusted in degrees Celsius, which was very convenient. Enough parking space.

    4
    « Great price »

We booked here after looking extensively for a decent deal near South Beach. The hotel is basic, but fibe for us as its just a place to sleep. It does have the dank smell you sometimes might get in the Caribbean in lower end resort rooms. We stayed on the third floor and it was very noisy. That would be my biggest complaint. All times of the day and night you would hear traffic and horns. Twice at 430am a truck would be backing up with the beeping noise waking all of us up :( not pleasant! Staff was great! Ladies at reception were helpful and friendly. The breakfast ladies were very warm and accommodating.

    4
« Want to be near the Beach, Miami, and South Beach? »

Want to be near the Beach, Miami, and South Beach? Its hard to find a location that gives you all three at a reasonable price ....except for THIS!! Rooms are clean, The staff except for one gentlemen whose name starts with A is very friendly and accommodating. Fortunately for us, RJ came to our rescue. Avoid getting Room 108. It seems its strictly done for punishment being near the elevator and all noisy traffic. Fortunately, RJ listened to our objections and allowed us to move immediately to better accommodations after A had placed us there. I strongly suggest you get RJ.or one of the ladies to check you in for the best experience. The breakfasts were excellent with extremely friendly service. Parking is ample and reasonably priced. The rooms are large, although the bathrooms were kinda cramped for two people to use at the same time. The pool is clean, the in house restaurant has typical Miami Beach prices. An excellent view of the bay from the site. Overall our experience was excellent. I highly recommend it. As long as you avoid room 108. For the best hotel experience select a room with a view, plus balcony. 79th Street Causeway gets crowed during rush hours but before and after traffic is manageable

« cant beat the price and close to north beach »

rooms are clean friendly staff and schuckers restaraunt best po'boy sandwich i ever had and the view was beautiful most comfortable bed i think i ever slept in at any hotel free shuttle from the airport to the hotel the only down side which really isnt that bad was that it is a good half hour drive to the cruise terminal other than that i will be staying here on my next cruise in one year i would highly recomend this hotel

    4
« good location close to beach »

clean hotel, great view. Shuckers resturant is very handy, although kinda high prices, with limited selection. WFI was terrible in room, and spotty in pool area. nice place though. 2 miles from beach, plenty of things to do

    4
    « Great Location & friendly staff »

We stayed here for a couple of days and loved the place. Very friendly and helpful staff. Full buffet Breakfast was included and was good. Great value for money and very conveniently located. Ample free parking was an added attraction. Would be our first choice when we visit Miami again.

    4
    « Nice Hotel »

The hotel is in a fine location and parking is very convenient. The only downside is you are about 25 minutes away from South Beach, but for what you are paying it is a great deal. The breakfast was good, but not an abundance of choices.

    5
    « Great Short Stay »

I was only there for about 7 hours, but it was a great stay. Good food, shuttle wonderful, called cab for early morning trip back to airport even had some food out early! Thanks. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family

    3
« Miami Chic or just old »

Hotel has that 50's/60's Miami feel and my room smelled of a similar vintage. There is a pool but I couldn't find a workout room so went for a run around the Village, which is not a bad option but disappointing that there is no public waterfront path to do so. Bar/restaurant is located right on the water and offers a decent although uninspired menu. If you want to "hang" at South Beach, tour downtown or roam Key Biscayne, none are within walking distance. Given the price of Miami hotels, this one is probably worth a visit.

    3
    « Not Bad - Not Great »

PROS: It's on the bay. They have a hot breakfast that is decent. The parking is close. The price is right. All of the staff was nice. CONS: The carpets are BAD, I never went barefoot in the room. There was a moldy odor typical of an old hotel on the water but, you got over it in a minute.

    « Location Ideal »

First Stay in Miami Beach Miami, The Hotel Location was ideal for a two night stay, located in easy reach of the beach and the city. Two night stay for leisure purposes. Check in staff were excellent and efficient, i was impressed with the detail that was given and the service levels. The Room was ok, nothing special but clean and well maintained, a very outdoor hotel and the corridors were exposed to the elements a little but didn't detract from the Rooms appeal. We would stay there again.

    « good experience »

Great location if you visit Miami Beach. I love the breakfast best, service is great. but the room cleanness is just average. There is a smell in the room. Overall, it is true to the price. Restaurant is on the beach, nice location. A little bit pricey for the food.

    3
    « Average »

First trip to Miami. It is what it is. This is not a resort. It's a hotel. It has a pool and it was fine but no one was using it. Supposedly the restaurant (bar) is good but didn't use it. This hotel has a good location if this is where you need to be but if it isn't there are other hotels. The room was clean and cheaper than anything on South Beach but no bargain compared to downtown. It's adequate if you need to be in the area.

    5
« Always the Right Choice »

I love this hotel, the location is spectacular and it has all the things I need in a work base. I love the coffee machine available all the time in the lobby; the water with oranges or lemons to refresh - and the morning breakfast really hits the spot. The best thing is the staff who are always helpful and friendly. The pool and beautiful plants/trees looking over the water are a rest for my eyes, even if I am headed back to my room to draft contract language!

    4
    « A dated, though pleasent hotel »

Pretty good overall. We arrived out the door of MIA at 7PM, and rang up the hotel using a borrowed phone. At 8:13 it finally arrived. I had smoke coming out of my ears, but the driver explained that there had been repairs and lots of traffic on a road. So, well, okay. Nice enough check in area, lobby, room. Dated elevator which took forever to come, open, close, or pick up that you'd pressed the button. However it rode fast which was a plus. There is a nice pool and wonderful restaurant. Lovely rooms, though not so modern. The bathrooms are very tiny and the hot water is temperamental. It takes ages to come and lasts only a few minutes. My dad, who went #2 said that he got plenty, so maybe use the shower, not the bath!

    5
    « Very Very Nice »

If you jump on this hotel early.. the later you book it the more you will pay.. I booked this hotel about two months of my actual stay date and payed $150. I checked the room rate before I left and It had increased to at least double. The hotel in and of itself is very nice. It was an older property, so It has no frills..but I can say this, I would NEVER stay in South Beach.. this was the best chose. It is a better property than South Beach and located in a great spot ... but again..I perceive that its a popular hotel and It will go pretty quick as for as the room sales

    « decent hotel »

Stayed here post cruise for 1 night. Great location, close to the beach, great views of Biscayne bay and also downtown Miami. The hotel is a bit dated, but very clean. RJ was very accommodating with a early check in so we could put our bags in the room and go to the beach for the afternoon. RJ was very helpful with any questions we had. Left early for our flight the next day, so did not partake of the breakfast.

« Customer Service is Top Notch. »

Hotel is conveniently located between North and South Beach. Its a standard version Hotel but the customer service is really great. All the way from the reception and the breakfast girls. You meet a genuin smile everywhere. Especially Kristel in the reception went out of her way, helping us out when we left an iPad in the room. Extremly helpful!

« Wonderful service, right on the bay »

This hotel has a free shuttle service from & to the airport. The staff were all very friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable about the area. They were replacing carpets in all the hallways and stairways so a little noisy during the day. The breakfast was fresh and hot. The hostesses were exceptional - very inviting, interested in what you were doing & where you were traveling, anticipating your needs, etc. We had an end room overlooking the bay. It was wonderful to sit on the balcony and watch the boat traffic. The view was wonderful but we were above the bar/restaurant so it was noisy until closing time. They do not chill the red wine in the restaurant - in fact, it was hot. The manager said they have had the problem for many years and have no means to chill it. (but they do serve cold white wine ??) The food was good, but the usual bar fare. RJ and Eva on the shuttle service and front desk were exceptional. Vivian and Carrie were so efficient and welcoming at the breakfasts. This is a good choice for the staff, the location, the free shuttles to the airport. They even arranged a Miami city tour for us, which was fantastic. We would definitely recommend this hotel and return again.

« Right next to the beach, without all the fuss! »

Me and my boyfriend wanted to find a nice hotel for Valentine's night. We wanted to be next to the beach because we planned to have dinner nearby, but did want to stay RIGHT on the beach.. just so that we could avoid the crowds and traffic. This place was perfect!! It is not far from Miami Beach, yet far enough to have a peaceful getaway. We are locals, not tourists..so this matters lol. We got the room with the balcony, which doesn't exactly face the bay like we were told. But if you turn your head to the left, there's biscayne bay! So I guess that still counts as a view, right?? The room was clean and fresh. Cute and accommodating. Breakfast is the typical free breakfast that you get with hotel stays, except they did have offer hot eggs and sausage. We also saw that there is a restaurant on site. Benihana's is 2 minutes away. Overall we enjoyed.

« beautiful location but noisy »

The room was comfortable, very clean, with a lovely view of the Bay. The restaurant served delicious meals, reasonably priced, with quick and efficient wait staff. The reception area is bright and welcoming with friendly staff. Large containers of iced water with orange and lime slices were available in the lobby. However, there was constant music playing at the restaurant, directly below the balcony rooms, with thumping drums and base, and this detracted from the tranquil atmosphere and view of the Bay. If you enjoy quiet surroundings while on vacation, this pricey hotel is not recommended.

« Great Start to our trip »

Booked a room for two nights before our sailing trip and it was great! The staff was very nice, breakfast was good and the room was clean and nice. In FL with the humidity you just never know what you will get but our room was odor free! Great restaurant next door and the breeze off the bay was awesome. Def stay there again if we travel down there!

« Better than average but not very good. »

I stayed here for a night either side of cruise. It is a little out of the main Miami beach area but on reflection that was a good idea. Perhaps not the best hotel I have stayed in but it was clean and being beside the water added a scenic twist. The rooms are typical Best Western, I was located in the high rise block overlooking the pool and main buildings with a restaurant situated below on the ground floor. Over the highway is pizza cafe type place and to the next block right, a very pleasant Italian restaurant. Check in was easy, breakfast was OK. Walking? If you take the bridge, left on exiting the hotel, locate the ESSO vehicle propellant replenishment facility, on the right is the bus stop for the local free trolley service which will take you to 65th St. and then a few paces to the beach. If you want to go further downtown Miami straight over the highway from the hotel, take bus "L". The hotel offers seaport and airport transfers but as there is no information visible on the desk or notice board then it is a guarded secret. I was quoted $30 each in the shared minibus but took a taxi which cost $33 to the seaport. As with most places there are pluses and minus points but on the whole plus wins.

« Best start to our Cruise »

First of all I don't usually fill out these questionnaires unless it's negative. But this is not one of these times. Me and Marilyn came to down to stay at BW with 28 friends and family. We stayed as a group because we were getting married on the NCL sky Monday in Miami. Besides all the helpful staff on duty, 2 stood out, making our stay even better. Krystal and RJ. Two of your managers. The made not just us but all our guest stay special. Thanks to everyone at the Best Western on the Bay. :) Would be our first place we would stay the next time we come back to Miami

    « Got ripped off »

I found the hotel on Expedia and decided to call directly to the hotel as I knew about 6 years ago we had stayed here before a cruise. Indeed it was the same hotel and they found my name and best western reward number. I explained to the nice lady onsite that I was interested in booking and wanted the same type of room I had before...in the smaller building with a balcony and direct view of the bay. No problem that's what was booked and I paid for. Upon arriving they couldn't find my reservation due to a typo and then put me in the tower with a view of an apartment building. My room smells like cat pee and is so small I don't have enough room to unpack! Best Western should be ashamed of how the CLERK at the desk handled this. Basically telling me those rooms were booked up and would have cost more anyway!! How does he know what I was willing to pay. Shame on him! Completely ruined my high expectations and now I'm stuck here for 3 days while my husband attends the boat show. I HATE it. Did I mention my room smells????

« 2 awesome days at Best Western noth bay village »

Initially I booked a bay view room , but due to some reason the hotel could not provide me the desired room. Instead they upgraded me with a suit with bay view. That was so awesome. Thank you Best Western north bay village. .

    « Not recommend »

The hotel needs urgently a restoration. Everything seems old. At check-in the guy who attended us were so cold, it seemed we were not welcomed. He said lots of times that it was a non-smoking room and pets were not allowed (It was exactly the type of room I did the reservation) but our room was a pure nicotine smell. I found bush waste and remnants of flowers on the ground, then concludes that the room is not well cleaned. The sheets were stuck. The ice machine didn't work, and nobody seems to care. During all my stay, everything was the same way. The floor nearby was dirty. The carpet was so smelly!!! The place where the breakfast is served is too small for so many guests. ONE person I didnt remember the name (an older woman) was so kind and polite, worried all the time if everything was fine. Scares you when you compare the pictures on internet To the hotel itself at arrival time. If I recommend ? Never.

    « Great Staff!!!! »

We arrived in Miami a day before our cruise on 1/22/16 and booking.com had messed up our reservation. When we called the hotel for our free shuttle ride from the airport, they advised that our reservation had been cancelled but not to worry - there were rooms available and they reinstated it. Krystal came to get us and was SO NICE! Everyone at the front desk was very helpful, suggesting places to eat including the restaurant (Shuckers Bar & Grill) on site which had really good food. You HAVE to try the wings! They had free toiletries at the front desk in case you forgot something, which we did, and the free breakfast was pretty good as well. Free wifi and and the room was a descent size and things were quiet. We stayed on the side facing the street/bay. There was always water with lemon/oranges in the lobby and I'm pretty sure coffee as well. There is a fitness center also. This hotel had all we needed and the people were really nice. For a small fee they will also take you to the cruise port the next morning. Everyone there is extremely friendly and accommodating - I'd definitely return!

    « Needs upgrading »

In hind sight, it might have been a better choice to stay around South Beach where the Miami vibe is better. However we were watching our budgets and so, this hotel was selected based on its price. Rooms are fairly large, but carpets are rather old and white fluorescent lighting doesn't complement room ambiance, it cheapens the look. Unfortunately. The bathroom was small but the water pressure was good- the basics of a no frills hotel room for a weary traveller, are in place.

    « Great Location »

we stayed at this location for the weekend , this is a good location close to the beach , good service .The staff were extremely friendly, the rate was good and the room was nice and comfortable. few miles to downtown Miami. 15 mins away from the airport. water view and the amazing pool . they let us use it late in the night . I will be back for sure.

« Pay the extra money for a better hotel »

We spent 1 night at this hotel, prior to our cruise. We were dissatisfied with the hotel. Our room was located in a detached building from the main lobby. We were on the 5th floor. The stairwells were scary, dirty, no water to purchase anywhere, beds were uncomfortable, very thin mattresses, had to walk past smelly, leaky dumpster to get to main lobby.

    4
    « Great Location »

Great room, restaurant and location. We came into town late. Because I have had good experiences with Best Western in the past we decided to stop here. The staff were extremely friendly, the rate was good and the room was nice and comfortable.

« Start of our Florida Vacation »

We stayed here for 2 nights following our flight out to Miami, this place is approx. 12 miles from the airport, so very convenient and easy to find. It is near the causeway on 79thst North bay. Everything you need for breakfast, 24 hr coffee and iced water. We had breakfast at 8am, on going out later we noticed that there wasn't enough places for people to sit for their breakfast and was taking it back to their rooms. In room security safe, microwave, coffee machine and fridge. We were on the 3rd floor overlooking the Bay. Nice swimming pool, a little cold, we did not use it as it was Jan and a little cold. Over the JFK. causeway you can pick up a free Trolley bus(outside Walgreaves) which takes you to the Beach(not the South Beach though).Overall great hotel, friendly staff and quite central for a hotel. Free parking and balcony on the 3rd floor. Attached resteraunt is a little expensive but good enough food, cocktails expensive.

    « A LOT FOR THE MONEY »

Good location with free parking and good breakfast included in the price. Choose room 317 or 324 if you can, rooms with balcony. 324 has no neighbors on one side and good view of the ocean. Do not use the restaurant on the site. Staff really kind and helpful and a great + for free coffee/tea in the reception area. Avoid more expensive hotels, the areas are rather small but you do need a car to get around! Nice little pool area. Loved to sit on the balcony and look over the water. Add the few extra dollars so you will have a balcony. Coffee maker and microwave in the room, as well as a fridge. Bathroom small but functional.

    3
    « Pretty nice... »

The layout of the motel is super strange... The pool seems nice but is cold and shady! The lobby is super nice breakfast was really good (and free)!! The outsides of the motel seems really dirty but the rooms are really clean and nice I feel. Falling apart a little but clean!!

    « Disappointed »

Was in town for a birthday celebration. Decided on this hotel because it was close to our friends that rented a private property in the area. I did not like the hotel at all. Very dated, employees was not friendly. Wasn't worth the price at all. Spend your money elsewhere for something much nicer.

    4
    « Very good value »

When i arrived I requested "a room with a view", and the attendant did not disappoint. I encountered friendly and helpful staff throughout. Very nice room, satisfactory amenities, great value. The view of the bay, food & service from Shuckers, were added bonuses. Mine was a pleasant experience.

    3
« Just what we needed »

We arrived to spend just one night, and service was very good, room clean and beds very comfy. Did´t like very much the area around, but the sight from the restaurant on the side was good enough. The SHUCKERS beside served VERY good food as well! Recommend it!

    4
    « Good Value »

Dated hotel but well maintained. Shuckers restaurant on-site is a definate plus. Great atmosphere, nice bay view and good food. Like many older hotels there is a lack of electrical outlets. My room had micro and fridge.

    3
    « No hot water »

No Hot water can be frustrating after a long days work or the waking shower. I put a call in and was met with an attitude of indifference. I stayed a total of two nights. All the other amenities were satisfactory. The best offer of the Hotel was breakfast. The food was decent and I was surprised with the staffs happy behavior and helpfulness.

    « Best Western - Miami Beach »

The hotel location was good. I haven't received luggages' assistance during the check-in. The breakfast was okay. The rooms are old, and the bed sheets are old and not purely clean. needs update on the furniture and decor. It feels like you are in a cheap motel. The price was too high for it.

    « Ageing Gracefully »

On a recent trip to visit relatives we stayed at the BEST WESTERN On The Bay Inn & Marina. The hotel itself is only one of a handful that you can park your boat. Everyone who works here is very nice and helpful. The breakfast that is served is eggs, bacon, sausage and your choice of cereals and waffles. There is a coffee machine where you can help yourself all day, or lemon infused water is available. The ice machine was on the second floor ( we were on the third) and it never made ice the whole time we were there. The lady who runs the breakfast buffet was nice enough to give us some of the ice from her work area for our cooler on the day we drove home. The rooms with balconies are preferred, as you can sit out at night and star gaze. The rooms are very average but very clean and certainly all we needed. A Canadian real estate investment company has just bought the property, and I hope they give this hotel the star treatment.

    4
« Very nice hotel, not the cheapest though! »

Well, it was one of the cheapest in Miami Beach area, but the same quality can be had for three times less in other areas. Guess it's just the economy.. But we really liked the pool, the view from the pool, clean rooms, and overall appearance. Also the staff were really nice, especially Vivian who hosted the breakfast!

    4
« Good lodging for Christmas Eve »

We flew into Miami from Belize on Christmas Eve. We stayed here and ate down the street at Benihana's. My only concern is it took the shuttle van about 45 minutes to pick us up. The ride to the airport on Christmas day was fine as there was minimal traffic.

    « Holiday in Florida »

Great location on the bay, easy drive to South Beach. It is easy to find from the airport. Very friendly staff at the breakfast and good food choices. Enjoyed swimming in the pool before checkout. Food at the restaurant was great and the view was awesome.

    « What a pleasant surprise »

We chose to stay at this Best Western because it was on the water. We had to be in Miami for business and wanted to add a little pleasure to the trip as well. We had never been to this hotel before and with it being during the holiday week, we had trouble finding a room. To our surprise, we found a room at the Best Western on the Bay. It was a pleasant surprise to see a quaint and well maintained hotel. Breakfast was excellent. The help was extremely professional and courteous. The view was wonderful. Shuckers restaurant was on the grounds with great food. Benihana is close by as well. I just wish they had bigger bathrooms. It was a great stay!

    4
    « Large rooms a trifle threadbare »

Overall I would return. Rooms are roomy with two queens per room. Sea view at the rear marina area is a peaceful place to relax. Pool also overlooks sea view. Access to main tourist areas is convenient. Breakfast is comprehensive with excellent waffles and helpful wait staff ever ready to assist.

    4
« Good location in Miami »

If you look for a good place in Miami, this is a excellent option. This location could not be better and it is combined with a reasonable price. besides, the breakfast is wonderful and the pool is beautiful.

« Careful with your belongings »

I stayed in the hotel from december 8-12, 4 nights. Someone stole 3 brand new Ralph Lauren Polo Shirts I had already packed in my luggage. We where in miami shopping and on vacation with my wife and daughter. That is all that was stolen. I wrote to the management about the incident but I did not get even an apology. The restaurant of the hotel, Shuckers Bar & Grill is good and is write on the oceanfront. Parking is good, the breakfast personnel every morning is superb. The location is very good, not far away from the beaches or the airport. Cleanliness in the rooms was ok. I think that with a change in the personnel the cleans the rooms the hotel would receive a full rating. Because of the incident I would not start in this hotel again, or recommend it to anyone who goes shopping and is going to have lots of bags in the room.

« Great views and food »

My wife, and another couple stayed here the night before our cruise. We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel and lounge, restaurant combo. Had a great combo of sea food, I would strongly suggest the clam dish they have. The breakfast was great, and someone was assisting guest the whole time. I would suggest any one to stay here!

    4
« Nice Hotel for the price »

The breakfast is nice and the morning staff is wonderful. Free internet and parking is a huge plus. The hotel is in a great location with a nice view of the bay. Everything you need to do in Miami is only minutes away.

« Smelly room, construction, terrible beds and bugs »

I stayed here 2 nights. its right on the water. The 1st night we stayed in a room where the were flies in the towel and it had a bad odor. we couldn't sleep since they had construction about 7am.. I told the manager and he moved us to another room. This room was much cleaner but the toilet doesn't flush that well and the bed was really uncomfortable.. I stayed at other best western and they're not this bad.. I hope my review was able to assist in your booking. I will change my review if im ever desperate to stay here IF the quality improves. I posted pictures.

    « On the Bay »

I arrived on Friday night, at the hotel there was a film crew shooting the HBO show Ballers. This is what I was told was the name of the show by a crew member. I spoke with the desk clerk and received my keys. I went off to my room: 558. I then learned that it is on the fifth floor and the front door faces an outside balcony. It was not in the main building. Once in I noticed several bugs. Other than that my stay was ok. I had no other problems.

    3
    « It was average »

We checked in early because we went post-cruise, luckily a room was ready and the front desk agents we're friendly and very helpful! The pool was warm and very clean. It took us awhile to find a vending machine with food and the drink machine was sold out of water and the orange water in the lobby wasn't coming out :( The room was average for the price, not great not horrible. Wifi was iffy at times but overall the stay was ok.

    5
    « Awesome Stay »

On a back-to-back cruise and wanted to just relax between cruises and enjoy overlooking Miami and the bay. I enjoyed my "big" room and beautiful view. The staff was extremely helpful and so nice. My only wish is that it could have been a longer stay. Next time!! Thanks.

« A great place to stay out of the noise and traffic of Miami Beach »

Great location, reasonable rates, great breakfast, clean rooms, comfortable beds, great views and a superb restaurant as part of the property, this is the Best Western on the Bay Inn and Marina. This was our second stay and we were surprised at the many upgrades that were underway at the hotel, new carpet in the hallways and paint on the older section of the hotel. Location is only 10 minute drive to Miami Beach and its great beach parks and eating establishments. The walking on the beach could not be better, and the people watching is amazing. Great Argentina and Cuban foods are available all along this stretch of the Beach.

    5
« Great place to stay pre/post cruise »

This is one of the few hotels in the area that offers a free shuttle to/from MIA and to the port of Miami. This hotel is ideally suited to the pre & post cruise crowd. I waited roughly 40 minutes at the airport for shuttle pick up (tip last airport pick up 10:00 PM). Check in was fast. I was upgraded to a suite based on my Best Western points. Breakfast served 6 to 10 AM and was very nice. The port shuttle leaves twice a day and takes roughly 30 minutes. I will stay here again.

    3
« Business and Pleasure Trip »

Upgrades can make this into an incredible property. The manager working at the complimentary breakfast is amazing. The hallways are being updated and the same needs to happen in the rooms. Holding the door closed while you are in the bathroom is not a pleasant experience.

« Best western lives up to its name »

The staff at this Hotel are wonderful , Nothing is too much trouble & you will get the best breakfast in the USA ! Served by the most lovely ladies who will cook you a great waffle,The Hotel is well positioned on the bay with lovely views, There is no extra charge for car parking or resort fees ! The pool is lovely & kept in good order ,there is a small gym if you want to work off the extra calories gained at breakfast ! We will definitely recommend this Hotel to others & we be back again our selves, The Hotel is in a good position for getting to other places eg South Beach or up to Sunny Isle , Bal Harbor & Halover Beach. The on site restaurant is good fun & serves up good food. All in all its a Great Hotel " The Best in the West " !

    « Two stays »

We stayed for two nights at each end of a cruise. Very comfortable with friendly, helpful staff. On our return we were upgraded to a suite which had balconies overlooking the bay. Reasonable selection for breakfast. Stair carpets were being replaced which required some detours but the completed areas look really good.

    5
    « Stay before cruise »

Excellent hotel and staff. Ate at restaurant on site during happy hour friendly service and food was excellent. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was included and very well serviced. Reminder that shuttle service is on demand and you cannot wave them down at the Miami airport.

« Nice restaurant at hotell »

This hotell is in need of some refreshing, but it was clean and as it is quite cheap I figured you get what you pay for. We stayed there for 2 nights before our trip home. It is located in the bay area of Miami, not so very far from famous South Beach, but it is recommended to have car as it is not walking distance. But parking is free, so also WiFi and breakfast. The restaurant in the evening is very nice, with view over the bay area and tasteful dishes. Prices are medium, food is nice, view is great. Overall it suited us fine just for stay as we visited other parts of Miami when stayed there.

    4
    « hospitable good place »

very, very hospitable staff, they gave us room and very, very early check-in, good breakfast, clean room, nice place to stay if you have a car. not very fairway from beach, but for sure not for walking.

    « November 2015 stay »

This hotels location is excellent, right on the bay and close walk to shopping and stores. Very well kept, lobby had coffee and fresh water available at all times. Breakfast that was offered was warm and tasty! Pool area was very clean and had plenty of chairs to sit around the pool or eat outside. Rooms were clean and had a balcony, great for smokers! Schuckers Bar and grill is right next door and has a great view of the Bay and wonderful food. We ate there twice in one day it was so good and friendly! We will stay here if we visit Miami again.

    « Great as always »

Clean, comfortable, great breakfast kept well stocked even though was busy. Nice beds and great pool and gym. Near to wendys taco bell, need car to get around. Plenty of restaurants on the 1 road close to hotel.

« Very good for stay in Miami if you have a car »

We wanted to stay near South Beach without incurring all the valet parking charges. Easy 15 drive to the Art Deco centre and close to North Beach as well. Restaurant with lovely view across the bay adjoins but other eating choices limited unless you drive. A good base for 4 nights in Miami and continental breakfast included.

    3
    « Average hotel stay »

This was an average hotel stay......room was clean. We stayed on the bay side so it was quite noisy with the sliding door open since our room was right over the restaurant. With the door closed however, it was quiet. Not enough seating room at breakfast. Bay view was very pretty. We did receive good recommendations for nearby restaurants. Staff was courteous.

    3
    « A pleasant stay »

The hotel have a nice location with some views, not the best but you still get some water views if you into that and dont wanna pay ton of money. Rooms are comfy and spacious. Internet provided in the room is high speed that you can actually use it. I'm not into sea food so I cant really say anything about the Restaurant/Bar. Free parking is a big plus and great for the price. Breakfast is nice, I never missed a day. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

    « A mixed bag! »

A mixed bag. Room was immaculately kept. Decor is motel-basic. Catwalk hallways, with lots of rooms facing onto catwalks, but some rooms only have doors to catwalks and view out back of room (better). Soft beds, which some will like (but not me!), Awful lumpy pillows. Included self-parking is a big plus. Good selection of breakfast foods.

    « Nothing special »

Flew on the red eye from Las Vegas and hoped for a room. Did not happen.Good location, took the bus to South Beach and pizza places within walking distance. They say transport to Miami cruise port. Well not really. It cost $30. Dont think I would return.

    4
    « Great »

Our room was clean and spacious. Fully equipped with all necessities. The pool was wonderful and the attached restaurant was the perfect place to unwind after a hectic day. Free shuttle and quick check in made this a completely enjoyable stay before our cruise. I would highly recommend this hotel.

« An OK overnight stay »

Stayed here overnight prior to a cruise. Good location and beautiful view of the bay. Shuckers restaurant was really delicious. Room was two double beds in the west building attached to the restaurant. It was sufficient for our needs, but did have a broken lamp and we woke up to a random bug on the sill. Decor seemed dated and the wifi was sporadic. Breakfast was good- typical best western fare.

    5
    « What a view »

The is one of the best Best Western that I know, because of the proximity of the view to the hotel. The view is something else. The facilities are very good. Good breakfast and coffee all day which you done get from other hotels. The Shuckers bar attached to the hotel is excellent. Food very good you really dont have to go anywhere is you done way to. Bus stops right outside gets you to South beach for $2.25. And you can also get to Aventura Mall by bus across the road or the Trolley which if free.

    « College Visit »

I was very impressed with this hotel..it was very clean and very nice..I was very worried when researching other properties in area due to their reviews but extremely happy and satisfied with our choice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was for the Shuckers restaurant was not very impressive with their service and the food wasn't the best for the prices.

    « Expected better »

I booked this hotel because of reviews I read here on Trip Advisor, so did not expect what I got. We had an over-night stay before boarding a ship for a short cruise to the Bahamas, so were not looking for an expensive hotel. First, the good. My friend and I arrived on separate flights, and we were both able to use the free shuttle service. Check-in was simple. The lobby and rooms themselves appear to have been renovated within the past few years, however the rest of looks like the original 1960's vintage. There are 2 buildings, one where the lobby and breakfast are, and the other one where the restaurant Shuckers is. We were not in the building attached to the lobby. The walk to that building is through the parking lot, next to the garbage dumpster, to an elevator in a short outdoor hallway with 2 doors that have hazard warning signs on them. Overnight, there must have been a spill from the dumpsters and the parking lot had sand spread on it over the spill area, rather disgusting. We had dinner at Shuckers, which was pleasant enough, we each ordered salads, mine with added grouper, my friends with added shrimp, both were fine, and a decent value. The restaurant is totally outdoors, on the bay, which is a nice view. It had been drizzling for a while, but stopped when we went for dinner, so good for us, not so good if you hit the rain. They have a free continental breakfast which was fine. Normal assortment of cereal, toasts and pastries, scrambled eggs with sausage or bacon (no potatoes), fresh made waffles, coffee and juices. When I wanted a bottle of water, it had to be bought from a vending machine. The one in our building, did not sell water. I walked to the lobby, and was told that I had to go to the 3rd floor of that building, where they had plenty of water. Of course the fact that they sell water for $1.50, that you can buy a case of for $5 is another story. I didn't really feel safe walking in this neighborhood by myself through this parking lot either. There is a rowdy crowd at night at Shuckers, which has a lively bar. I recently stayed in a great Best Western in Wyoming, so expected more from this brand. The reviews for some of the airport hotels were not good, so I thought this might be a decent choice. I got a great deal, but think I would have rather paid $20 more to get something like a Hampton Inn. I wasn't expecting the Ritz Carleton, but thought it would be much better than this. The other good thing was that I got a coupon to use for Uber, which is what I was planning on for a ride to the port, so the ride was actually free, other than what we tipped the driver. They aren't really supposed to go to the port, so you have to sit in the front seat, but the driver was so reliable, in a brand new car, that we didn't care.

« Quick Trip to Miami »

The location, value and quality was the ideal combination for our quick concert trip to Miami. The facilities met our expectation and had a lot to offer for a multiple day stay especially boaters to the area. Breakfast was well done and was popular to not just us but to other guest staying at the Bay Inn & Marina.

    4
    « Great Place »

The position of the hotel is ideal for exploring both North and South of Miami. The Shuckers Bar and Restaurant is a very lively place and the food is varied, value for money and very tasty. I will definitely stay here again.

« You should stay here! »

The hotel is in great location 4-10min from the Port of Miami! The staff was great & Walgreens was in walking distance along with a restaurant inside the hotel which was awesome! Hotel was clean, room was up to date & bed was soft!! The only thing I didn't like was the carpet smelled a little, nothing that will discus you, just a little smell. They allowed us to check out later than the normal because we had to wait on their shuttle van to come pick us up & they allowed us to ride for free!! So it was a plus with us!! We will book again here!

« Beware of shuttle service denial »

recently spent one night here at this property for a connecting flight next morning. Have stayed at this property a dozen times over the years and am a IHG Platinum elite member. I stay at this property which is a distance from the airport but does offer shuttle service, so I thought. We arived on a 930PM flight and once I collected our bags I phoned the hotel for shuttle pickup at 10:05PM. The desk clerk informed me that shuttle service ceases at 10PM and they would not pick us up. I was forced to pay for taxi ride costing $42.00. The desk clerk was not that concerned as I told him that I felt 10PM was too early for canceling shuttle and he said that he understood but really did not care because he was leaving next month. I was naturally upset with this property for denying shuttle service to us as their hotel information does not indicate shuttle hours of service so you should beware of this misleading practice if you are arriving at night or may have a delayed flight due to weather or other issues. I know there are many other closer proerties to MIA including other BW properties that offer more friendly shuttle service and if you had to pay would not cost as much as I had to pay that night. I will not stay here again and shame on this property for not giving booking information listing hours of shuttle availability, as I will book elsewhere. So please beware and confirm shuttle availability if you are needing a ride to/from airport or port of Miami, and confirm before bookinfg.

    « wonderful experience »

we booked last minute and ended up with a great room. It was right off the water. We ended up seeing a jelly fish by the pier which was cool. The night lights were beautiful around the water. The swimming pool was great. As was the beach we ended up at here in miami.

    « Very enjoyable stay »

We really enjoyed our short stay at the best western on the Bay Inn & Marina from 18th to 20th Sept. We were staying for two nights to start our holiday driving south to the Florida Keys. Even though the hotel is not in the centre of the tourist belt or the beach areas it is within a short drive to all the tourist areas and only a 10 min drive from Miami International Airport. We found the hotel to be very clean and all the services and facilities of a very high standard. We liked the view from our room and the restaurant "Shuckers" was very good and had an evening meal on both days there. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming.

    « Best Bed Ever »

I have a bad back and I can't sleep on saggy mattresses. Their bed was the best! The view was spectacular and the price was cheap for Miami Beach. We stayed on the 79th street causeway. Very quiet at night. The hotel clerk greeted us a 1 am in the morning when we finally got there. He was really friendly and fast.

« Simple and enjoyable place to stay »

Very polite employees, well located and clean. The room was big and there were two beds, which was nice to organize our luggage. The breakfast was simple, but good. Some bread, waffles, juice, tea, coffe, fruits and yogurt.

    « Nice and Clean »

It is quite a challenge to find a hotel in Miami Beach that is clean and has good rates. We found exactly what we were looking for at Great Western On the Bay Inn and Marina. A very nice full breakfast was included in the price; the rooms were clean, and the staff, from front desk to the maids, were very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a nice, clean, reasonably priced hotel in Miami Beach.

    « Good Value »

Good location if you drive a car with no hidden costs to be around north Miami Beach. Nice quick breakfast, plenty of parking space and good in and out. I believe you receive a good value for your money.

The room was smelly, it was impossible to keep the AC turned on because of the smell, thank God it was for only one night and it was rainny. The breakfast was good and the service of the frontdesk staff was great.
