    « Fun times! »

My boyfriend and I stayed here and were quite pleased with not only the accommodations but the service and staff were very courteous. Rooms were clean and spacious. We will definitely be going back in the near future!

    « Above and Beyond »

Reviews are not always true and sometimes you need to experience for youself. This is true for the best western on fallsview. I read some not so great reviews but boy were those simply inaccurate! The front desk staff were amazing and management went above and beyond. Not only were they excellent to us but the people in line ahead of us as well. I recommend this hotel especially for the staff. They made our stay truly memorable and amazing!

    « Birthday Stay »

Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable! Check in was super quick and hassle-free, all personel we encountered were friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and gave a great view of the falls! Even though we're locals it was nice getting away for the night! We will definitely be back!

    « Good Stay »

The hotel and staff overall were very good. I had some problems with the television not getting all the channels and some I did get weren't very clear. Also, the duvet on one of the beds bunched up at the bottom inside the cover. I tried to fix it a few times but it just kept happening overnight.

    « A very positive stay »

The price was right, location perfect...easy to get to entertainment, restaurants, main roads, and shopping. Front desk staff, each and everyone of them was helpful. They were extremely capable dealing with my requests for taxis, car rental problems, and train schedules. My whole stay ran smoothly. Thanks so much. Sharon Groen

« Value. Location. Quality. Don't miss it. »

Booked this property from a Groupon deal. Two nights with a family pack. Here's a list and rating. Checkin-Hailey was helpful and informative Rooms-(I booked 2) are super clean. Very spacious. Updated. Location-super close to casino and falls. 10 min items walk to Clifton Hills area. That's the mecca tourist area Pool-clean. Plenty of towels. Parking-there is a fee. Bit every place chargws5 Family pack- super value here. Arcade and food vouchers. This place is awesome. I travel about 100-150 nights a year for work. I don't usually stay at BW but after this stay. I likely will. Well done

« Anniversy at the Falls »

Stayed at this hotel and had a real nice time. The check in was easy and the hotel was clean and close to everything we wanted. Would recommend this hotel to anyone else. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

    « My stay »

The rooms had a smell the noise of a mouse no one was very accommodating when I brought it there attention i spoke to front dish they did nothing I had to line up twice for half hour when I registered all ready

    3
    « Perfect location »

Bathroom looked like it needed a thorough cleaning. Tub and rubber bathmat looked very dirty. Very hard to find a spot to park at the hotel, took a long time, I asked at the front desk and they said I should park across the road at the casino even though we paid to park at the hotel.

    4
    « Location! »

We love staying here - we get great loyalty deals emailed to us and it's so conveniently located near the casino, Falls and attractions that you can't go wrong. The room we had was completely renovated and very comfortable. Great stay!

« Room is bigger and price is good »

We stayed one night at Best Western fallsview in November 2016, The hotel is very close to the the Falls. We walked to the Falls in about 10 minutes. The room is bigger than we expected, clean and quilt. I think we got good deal for the price.

    « Average . »

Booked hotel in winter. Hotel was okay.. Weird thing i found was a dispenser for shampoo and shower gel instead of providing small items and timer exhaust fan in shower. Just to save money i guess... Rest room was spacious. Stayed for one day. So cant comment on how they clean for the mess if asked for.

    « Nice room »

Have to pay for parking and there is required deposit but they have great beds and a IHOP on site. Great inside pool and Hot Tub!! And it is across the street from casino and Galleria. The mall has great stores and gelato and sports bar!

« Best Deal on the Block »

We have been staying at the Best Western Fallsview for years and will continue for many years to come! They offer fantastic deals to dine at various restaurants, casino coupons and local attractions. The hotel is clean and offers 2 swimming pools and a hot tub. It is across the street from the casino and you can walk to all the restaurants in the area. It truly is a great hotel for the price and has balconies which is very hard to come by at many hotels. I would highly recommend this hotel and always check for their amazing deals!

    « Basic, but ok »

Stopped here for 3 nights October 16. Hotel was clean ,very helpful, ask for main block, currently been refurbished. 10 minute walk to falls.close to bars/restaurants.Didn't eat at IHOP, found a good breakfast all you can eat 5 minutes away.

    « Terrible »

Very old and outdated, pool area is decent we have stayed here the past three times due to trying to save some money but not worth it they screwed up my credit card charges twice now. This last visit will be my family's last rather pay extra and not deal with the headaches.

    3
« Great for What it is ..... but ihop restaurant is outrageously priced »

This is a very old hotel, built motel style. The 6 story tower has 3 small elevators, You check in around the corner, there is no lobby, It is not luxuries in any way, The restaurant ihop is a breakfast restaurant and is outrageously priced. 1 Ham n eggs and 1 omelette and 1 chocolate milk cost $50.50 Really But I did like the hotel, Rooms are very large, Bathroom is very large and split into two rooms, Beds are great, TV is great, All rooms have a balcony, Very clean and well maintained There is NO view, Falls View refers to the street location and not the view. So it is great hotel, Clean and comfortable, We went with a hockey team. Not a luxury hotel but nothing to complain about.

    4
    « The Falls »

Have stayed here about 3 times before. Seems to be showing age. Sorry, restaurant change was not an improvement as far as breakfast is concerned. Had asked for a room far from elevator but this was missed somehow and we had to request a change. Acceptable overall.

    3
« Good for the Right Price »

Stayed here in the early fall (off season)? using my Air Miles. Check-in was smooth and staff helpful. The hallway outside the room is very outdated and appears dingy and is quite off-putting, however, inside the room was much nicer. Although rooms were decent, things are missing that are now considered standard in hotel rooms like fridge and microwave. 24-Hour convenience store was handy, vending machines and IHop (see review) waaaay overpriced. Parking is also quite expensive, but it sounds like that is standard for hotels in this area. I would stay here again if the price was right as this location is walking distance to most of the touristy stuff, but I would hesitate paying premium Niagara Falls hotel rates to stay here.

« Nice hotel with balconies! »

Clean rooms with great staff! We really loved how close it was to everything and we walked everywhere our whole stay. My husband is a smoker so it was really nice to just step out onto the balcony rather then downstairs to have a smoke. Our room looked like it had recently received an upgrade and the hallway carpets were being replaced on some floors during our stay. I expect it will look really nice when its done. Also, there was a plumbing issue on our floor during our stay and without even asking, they did not charge us parking which in their lot is $15.00 a day!!

  • 4
    « Comfortable Stay »

Nice upgrades are being done to this location which was needed. Room was clean, beds comfortable and good location. Have stayed here in the past and have never had an issue. Close proximity to the falls, casino and a number of restaurants, all within walking distance. If I had a concern it would be that there was no refrigerator in the room which would be a nice extra. This had surprised me as we have stayed in other similar type hotels and had a refrigerator. This did not affect our stay everything was very good.

    4
    « Was okay »

I think this place is starting to go a bit down hill from when I used to stay here. I find the price has gone up but the rooms stay the same (outdated and Old) even the bar of soap to wash your hands is cheap to the point of not even foaming in your hands. The parking is a MAJOR issue if your planning on staying here on a Friday or Saturday. Otherwise its central to everything (Casino, Nightlife, Restaurants). okay for $200.00 on a weekend.

    1
« Will never stay there again »

Terrible service, very noisy guests and we had what appeared to be mold in the shower stall abobe the splashguard. The front desk acknowledged the noise we had both nights, but did not offer any compensation to make it right. Friday night, things did not settle down until about 4am, messing up our plans for Saturday. The only possitive thing I can say about this hotel was it's location, other than that a complete fail!!!

    5
« Great stay in Niagara Falls »

My fiance and I were in a newly renovated king room. It was a clean and comfortable room. A quick walk to both the Keg and the Casino. It was an enjoyable stay and we would return to this hotel. It is a bit of a walk to the Falls but not too bad.

    5
    « Great Budget Hotel »

Nice and clean, well looked after smaller hotel a couple of blocks from the casino. There's a IHOP for breakfast which we ate one day (used our $10 off coupon as we booked through wagjag) but opted for local restaurants a few minutes away as they were priced for locals rather than tourists.

    3
    « OK for a short stay »

Rooms clean, looks like hotel has been updated a bit, new carpets etc. Basic hotel but does have all you need. Location is good for the Skylon, Casino and of course the falls (the walk back up the hill can be a bit wearing). The iHop restaurant is expensive for what it is and there are better places to eat, the food is basic for what it cost, and staff are not the happiest.

    4
    « Very good value! »

This is our third stay at this hotel. We like this hotel because check-in is easy. The staff is very friendly and nice. When they didn't have any room for early check-in, they were able to hold our luggage for us. We were given a room with the view of the Fallsview Casino and I have to say, it is much more cheerful than the other side- towards Stanley. I enjoy sitting on the balcony to relax, drink and enjoy a smoke. Furthermore, the room is larger than most. Although there is renovations at other floors, the bed, washroom and the room itself is clean. I don't know what most people expect when they pay less than 70 dollars for a night stay. This is very good value for your money if you are not a picky person and wanted everything new and top notch. Furthermore, wifi works well and they gave us plenty of coupons for restaurants.

    1
    « Very dirty »

Choose another hotel. Stains all over the hallway carpet, the toilet rocks back and forth. The room itself smelled , overall terrible experience. It was noisy but that is because it is close to many amenities.

    5
    « Great Stay! »

Enjoyed the location, I was in walking distance to everything! Very friendly and helpful staff. The building was under renovation but my room was clean comfortable and quiet, loved the fact that the rooms have balconies.

    3
    « An OK stay »

I was a bit worried when booking here, from the outside it does look a bit run down. But the room was spacious and clean. It was partially updated..... they seem to have stopped at the bathroom for updates. Was nice to have a balcony. Good location.

« Visit to Niagara Falls »

We arrived at the hotel and booked a room for a 1 night stay. Check in was easy and the room was ready for us straight away. The location of the hotel is excellent as you are only a short walk (down hill) to the falls and there is plenty of places to eat in close proximity. Room was reasonably priced but the iHop restaurant attached was very expensive. $53 for breakfast for 2 people. I would recommend but was advise that you eat elsewhere.

    3
    « good location = but »

Our room was nice and spacious for the three of us, but there were some drawbacks. There was no fridge in the room; when we checked out they told us that we could have had a fridge for $10 more a night, but no one told us that on checking in. There is no exercise room; the pool was open, but the jaccuzi did not work. And there were only few television channels. The IHOP restaurant on the property was so expensive that we did not dare go inside. One nice touch: they gave us token we could use to buy water or a soft drink from the machine.

« BE CAREFUL IF YOU CANCEL; THEY MIGHT CHARGE YOU THE ENTIRE STAY »

I had an hotel reservation from September 21/16 - 25/16. I called the hotel on September 8/16 to confirm my cancellation of the reservation. Since I had a bad feeling about this, I did ask the lady (who was actually really nice on the phone) numerous time if it was canceled and she kept telling me not to worry about it. Given I had never canceled an hotel room before, and given that I trusted her and Best Western, I was 100% confident it was done. Apparently, once you cancel a reservation, a reservation number is given... I did not get one nor knew you were supposed to get one. I called the hotel as soon as I found out on September 21/16 that my entire stay was charged. Thinking it was a mistake and the charges would be reverted, I spoke with the manager on duty that didn't believe me at all nor concider it could have been simply a mistake from one of their employees. No investigation was made by him, even thought I had the exact date and time that I called to cancel. He transfer my request to another manager. I left a voice message and also sent an email. Given I did understand it was a very busy weekend for them, I was kind enought to told them that they could get back to me the next week. Called back a few times, sent a few more emails (the manager even wrote to me on October 6th to let me know she would get back to me the next day, which never happened). They also didn't sent me an invoice until I asked for one. It makes me really sad to write this review, given I've been going to Best Western for the past 15 years. Errors also do happened (we are all human after all) and that poor lady that took my call in September 8 probably did not notice her mistake. As of October 23/16, Best Western still hasn't done anything to resolve the problem nor got back to me, even though I keep trying to get someone to help me... Please if you reserve at this hotel, ensure not to cancel unless you don't mind being charge for the entire stay. Given they are employees there that like their jobs and need it, don't decide not to go to this hotel because of my review. Just be really careful if you have to cancel... okay? Obviously (and sadly), I will probably not return to a Best Western hotel... Take care!

« Everything Needed in a Good Location »

I've stayed at this hotel on two occasions and think it's great! Rooms are huge and the balconies are a nice touch. Aesthetically, is it the nicest hotel in the world? No. But it ticks all the boxes for me. Comfortable bed and pillows, big room, balcony, 24 hour mini mart attached if you need snacks any time of the day, and walking distance to the casino and Clifton Hill. What worked out well for us is that we were a group of 6 on both occasions and the rooms were big enough to comfortably visit in each others rooms without feeling crowded. The restaurant was good too! Overall I would recommend this, especially now that the renovations have been done to it!

    2
    « Poor value »

Excessive noise during night not dealt with. People hanging out in hallways drinking all night. Somebody running down hallway at 5 am yelling "fire, fire, fire". Called to front desk and security takes 15 minutes to come. Asked them to check cameras and they just shrugged it off like it's no big deal. Also, very dated decor.

    4
    « Holiday Weekend getaway »

Very reasonable priced hotel within walking distance to venues. The rooms were large and clean compared to most hotel rooms, Restaurant, game room indoor pool and gift shop all on location. It was a 3 family vacation, our room were side by side with balconies facing the falls. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating, they had discount coupons to restaurant. The halls did smell a little cigarette smoky- but that is my only negative comment. We will stay there again.

    3
« Good for a one night business day or for a budget friendly family trip! »

The room was very large with two queen size beds. It was very clean and comfortable. I is dated but that does not bother me to much. There is plenty of parking at a cost of $15.00 a night. The staff very pleasant and helpful. This would be a great room for a family on a budget in Niagara Falls because the rooms were huge!

    4
« Hotel excellent value - read fine print on coupons »

Package included coupons for Ruth's and Chris Steakhouse and Ihop Restaurant located on Hotel. The coupon for Ruth's and Chris Steakhouse went towards one entrée (did not cover total cost of entrée) - two entrees to be ordered. The coupon for Ihop required 2 breakfast entrées be ordered. In both cases spent more than I would have normally for similar meals

    2
« Very Dated, Very Underwhelming »

Cons: Very dated, hallway carpets are dirty with numerous large stains which give a very filthy appearance, akin to a very cheap motel Elevator is old and unreliable (broke down on the 2nd day of our stay, had to take the stairs) Pool and hot tub was overpowered with the smell of chlorine but still looked dirty Cost of parking is $15/day (there is parking just across the street for $2 or $5 per day) Pros: Less than 5mins walk to the falls The rooms are cleaner than the hallways, which is the only reason we stayed, still very dated Free WiFI Indoor pool and hot tub

    3
« Fine if you just need a place to sleep »

Honestly, this hotel needs a HUGE overhaul. We came to niagara to celebrate our engagement last minute and the Best Western was the only hotel available. Our room was still dirty when we checked in (hairs in bed/jacuzzi) the elevators work sometimes and the floors are covered in mystery stains. Keeps the romance minimal. Staff was great, very friendly and honestly were the only good part of the experience.

« You could not pay me to stay here again. »

I usually don't take the time to review things unless I really love them or really hate them. This has to be the worst hotel (IF YOU COULD CALL IT THAT) that I've ever stayed at. Issues: This hotel was booked through Groupon (do I ever have a bone to pick with them), and the only 2 words I have to sum it up is FALSE ADVERTISING. When booking this hotel on Groupon you are shown pictures of newly renovated rooms, which only represent a very small percentage of this hotel. So let me tell you my story... Upon checking in we dealt with a lovely girl (her name truly escapes me), who put us in room 117 in the 4 story building attached to the mini mart. We completed the check in process and headed to our room. From the second we stepped into the building it was clear that this was not going to work out. The carpets in the hall and stairways were dirty and dingy, and the air was so thick (it smelled like marijuana). We unlocked our room (hoping that it would be better) only to find mould growing on the ceiling, and in the bathroom. The balcony/patio door was loose & there was tissue stuffed into the peep hole in the door. I truly do not know how anyone could sleep there, let alone purposely booked this room (no one expects to book this room due to the fabulous false advertising by the hotel). We immediately called the Front Desk and said we were coming back as we could not stay in that room. Once we got back to the front desk we explained that this room was unacceptable. It was mouldy, dark, dingy, and truly difficult to breathe in. I explained to the lady (same girl who checked us in) that my mother has asthma & there was no way that we were sleeping there. I was upfront with her in letting her know my disappointment in the room - not only for their poor standards but also the false advertising on Groupon. I would have never booked this hotel knowing that this is the quality I would receive. The lady at the front desk then got very defensive, accusing us of attacking her, saying that she had a long day and this was the last thing she needed. I assured her that we knew it was not her fault, but something needed to be done. She said that the hotel was fully booked for the evening and she only had 2 or 3 rooms available... in the same building on the same floor. I let her know that was unacceptable as my mother physically couldn't breathe down there & I was not going to play the "let's find a room" game all night. I said that we would be happy to have our money refunded and just go home. At this point the front desk agent is very agitated, and snaps on us saying that there is a 72 hour cancellation policy and there is no way in hell I would be getting any money back. I asked her if she knew the difference between a cancellation and a refund, because this was clearly a situation where customers INTENDED to stay the night but the hotels poor conditions were driving us away. At this point she got so agitated, she walked away from us and said she "couldn't deal with us". Then another customer service agent (Meghan) took over the situation. Meghan was beyond apologetic, both for the hotels poor conditions and for the other agents behaviour. She kindly explained to us that the building we were in is one of the oldest buildings in Niagara Falls & they are slowly undergoing renovation. We told her we completely understood but we could not sleep in a room with visible mould growing & such low air quality... again... mother with asthma! Meghan then found us a newly renovated room on the 6th floor. She was nice enough to even comp us the first night of parking & throw in a few more attraction vouchers. We checked out our new room assignment and could not have been happier. This was what the pictures on the website looked like, this is what we expected. The room was clean & mould free. We decided to stay both nights in that room because it was much better. My advice to anyone, booking through the hotel directly or through Groupon... BUYER BEWARE. This hotel does infect have quality rooms HOWEVER you must put up a fight for one. Do not believe every picture you see on the internet, as they only advertise the best rooms (then stick you in something way way worse). I probably will never stay here again & I'm going to be thinking twice about booking through Groupon, given this account of false advertising. I truly cannot express how disappointed I am, and how taken advantage of I feel. If it was not for Meghan's intervention, I would have not stayed the 2 nights and had to forfeit the $280 Canadian I payed for this hell hole. Ps- it is currently 2:54am & I am listening to obnoxious guys slamming doors, screaming and partying. I guess that is out of the hotels control but the walls here are very very thin. I doubt I'm the only one who can't sleep because of this.

    3
    « Spacious but underwhelming »

While the room that we had was very large, it lacked amenities (there wasn't even a refrigerator, though there was plenty of room for one). The large sliding door that opened onto the balcony had no screen (so if you wanted fresh air you had to deal with bugs coming in; we actually had a bird fly into our room!). The WiFi worked well however of the 40 or so TV channels available, about 15 didn't work. The pool was clean but the hot tub wasn't working (the timer seemed to be malfunctioning and the jets would not engage) and frankly, wasn't hot (the water was warm, but not hot). The hotel was a noisy during the day because they were having renovations done (new carpeting at least) which I'm sure will be nice when it's complete.

« Great Location, Friendly Staff »

Niagara Falls is a beautiful city. If you are looking for a reasonably priced stay in the heart of all the action, this hotel is a great choice. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful. We were walking distance to most attractions, and surrounded by restaurants and a convenient store.

    1
« Lacks Security, costly parking and food »

After sweating in the hot hallway trying to get the rooms to unlock, we finally got one of our 2 rooms open, The 2nd room would not unlock. I ran back downstairs and waited in line of all the people checking in. I handed the room keys in the sleeve with the room number to the same clerk who checked us in. He rekeyed them. I went back upstairs and let myself into an OCCUPIED room! Fortunately the people were not there. When I returned to the desk to tell them they had breached security, they had no concern whatsoever. The manager stated it was a simple error. If I had been a thief and robbed the occupants of their valuables, I suppose that would have been of no concern either. I was afraid to leave anything in the room while we went sight seeing. They refused to comp us even the outrageous paying fee of $15/day. Add the parking fee into the cost when shopping for a Niagara hotel. Turns out there was a lot across the street with parking for $5 but the hotel charged $15. We saw 2 cars get towed from the hotel for not paying. The onsite restaurant is a very expensive IHOP with slow service. Breakfast for 4 ran $114 after the $10 hotel coupon was deducted. Go online and read reviews of this IHOP and you will find food elsewhere. The balcony was a nice touch and roomy, but had no view of the Falls. The room itself was ok. We were not there for the hotel anyway, but would have liked to feel safe while there.

    4
    « Older clean hotel »

We stayed here with our teen daughter. This is an older hotel with little ammendities. However, we knew we wanted to spend money on local attractions, and not a one night stay. Our room was clean, check in was seamless, and parking was easy. We were able to pay the $10 and walk to many area local attractions and restaurants close by. We did not utilize the indoor pool or take advantage of breakfast. We did visit the mini market on site. Prices are a little high, but we needed a few items to get our day started.

    5
    « Vacation »

Great hotel very reasonable and the wing we were in has recently been reurbished, nice big rooms, very clean and bright, great location for the falls which are within walking distance, front desk staff very welcoming and helpful, this is our 2nd visit to this hotel would definitely recommend

    1
    « Spiderman »

The security on the patio doors (on each balcony) was a bar. Anyone could climb from balcony to balcony and access the room, and the security bar lets you know this. It could have been executed in a far better way. How save are the rooms?

    5
    « NIce Hotel »

this is a very nice hotel and right in the middle of the action. clean rooms and comfortable beds. The elevator is a little slow but hey your on vacation. relax. The fact that thee is a mini mart and an Ihop on the same property is cool. But don't waste your time in the Ihop the prices are way out of line!

    4
    « Great Location »

Clean, spacious room in the perfect location. Right up the street from the Falls, across from the casino. Lots of restaurants nearby. No views and a bit drab - but an excellent value for the area. If you spend most of your time out of the room and you would like to easily walk to the Falls and other attractions, it's a comfortable bed in a large room.

    3
    « Disappointing »

Great location...comfortable beds...but little else. After checking in...we were given 2 card keys...they ended up being activated for another room...not ours. The elevator was broken...had to carry our luggage to the third floor. We met others in the hallway on their way to complain. Beds were comfortable, wifi worked great, bathroom was clean. Hallway carpeting was very old and very stained. Location is great. Staff were OK. Probably won't return.

« excellent location, great value »

The room was large and clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was an east balcony that faced the Skylon tower. We could see the fireworks over the falls, which were just one block walk away. The extra sink outside the washroom was nice.

    3
    « Crazy Hotel »

We were hoping for a nice getaway, but landed in the middle of a playground. Unruly kids running around, and general mayhem everywhere, even the parking lot. Well, this was the weekend. But in case you want a more peaceful atmosphere go elsewhere. The hotel is also dated, had a feeling of a tourist "treadmill". The service proved to be truly invisible, aside from the reception. Chain restaurant on the property added a lot of frying smells even in our room.

    « Ok »

the hotel is ok ; the room was clean ; a little bit noise but ok ; the location is great ... there is a IHOP inside the hote but there is NO free breakfast ... the parking it's NOT free, they charge 15 dollars !!!! So ... if you are thinking about regular best western w breakfast included and parking , that's not the place .

« get away for one night »

.We enjoyed our stay at Best Western. The hotel room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We were on the ground floor with the pool outside our balcony. We found this to be very convenient. Overall we did like the Best Western and will be returning.

« Worth the price, but figure in the extras! »

The hotel is very clean, tastefully furnished, and comfortable. The standard two queen room is huge, larger than any suite in which I have stayed. Each room has a balcony with seating. Parking costs extra per day. BW members $15 CAD, but $2.80 fee on top of that parking fee is added. I recommend unloading in parking lot, then park across the street off property for $5. Wish we had done that. Breakfast is not provided, but the IHop restaurant on property is their recommendation. At check-in we were given $10 IHop coupon for two for each day. We ate there once, as the prices were higher than others even with the coupon. Location is great, across from IMax Theater and two blocks from Fallsview Casino. Near many restaurants and shopping. Convenience store on the corner. Fallsview is the name of the street, not the fact that you can view the falls from the hotel. The falls are a few blocks down a steep hill, getting up is more challenging. WeGo bus stops at hotel and gets you to all the venues and sights, costs $12 for 48 hrs. But is included in the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass, but Niagara Parks Dept. a real bargain for the best venue. Yes, I would recommend this hotel to others, but make sure the extras are added in the hotel price.

    « Won't stay again! »

Very disappointed. $20 to park and i had to wait half hour to get a spot. Room smelled like it had been sprayed for pests. There were little ants everywhere in the room.. Beds were uncomfortable and I got a sore neck from the lumpy pillows. iHop was very expensive even with $10 coupon off, we paid 50 some dollars CAD for two basic breakfasts and waitress kept making mistakes with order. Front desk staff were not friendly or helpful. I will never stay at this hotel again.

« Missed a wedding due to incompetance »

My cousin aligned with this hotel for her wedding and blocked off rooms. Family and friends travelled from all over to attend. It took me 19 hours to get there coming from the other side of the world. We (for 3 rooms) Called ahead and they ensured us the rooms would be ready, no issue. We (plus other wedding guests) spent hours begging them to give us a room, any room, even a dirty room or the pool change rooms - If we can't shower at least let us change. They did not think of solutions, just repeated the same corporate jargon and how they only guarantee rooms by 4:00pm and any issues are on us. Long, frustrating, bad service story cut short- we missed the ceremony and family photos completely but did get there in time for the dinner and party. At the end of the stay i calmly asked if they could give management some feedback since we missed the wedding we flew in for. Their response was the same corporate jargon as checkin and that the fault was on us. They didn't even say that would share the feedback with management. In my many years of travel i have never experience such bad customer service. The training needs an upgrade. This is a tourist destination and the hotel gives canada a bad reputation for service. If you need reliability. Never ever stay here. Spend a bit extra money and book something across the street.

« Great Hotel, IHOP not worth the coupon »

I liked staying here although thought I'd be "fallsview" due to the name but that's my own mistake. I asked in advance for a high balcony room and was accommodated with a 5th floor balcony room overlooking the Skylon Tower so that was cool. The room was HUGE and the staff was very friendly. The only real negative I had was with the IHOP restaurant. Each room received 2 $10 off coupons for breakfast and even with that, a breakfast that should have been $60-$70 CAD, came to over $100 CAD because of all the hospitality taxes. The waitress on the second day there also made many mistakes with our order. The only other thing I will mention is Niagara Falls, in an of itself (NOT THE HOTEL) is not wheelchair friendly. I had a broken ankle during my trip and the hills in NF are brutal for anyone pushing someone up those hills!

    « Economical »

Basically this is one of the oldest hotels in Niagara Falls. It's 40+ years old and shows it. The regular rooms are dated and not very nice. The suites are an improvement as the bathrooms seem to have had an upgrade but calling them a suite is a stretch. After checking in to find we had been put on the first floor without a patio or balcony, we called the manager and had a room switch to the third floor suite that was a noted improvement. The manager was accommodating. The front desk staff seemed uninterested in helping us but were pleasant enough to deal with. The pool and hottub, again dated but reasonably clean. Complimentary coffee in the front lounge (courtesy of the onsite IHOP) was nice because the coffee in the room was terrible. The location was good. It's very close to the casino and a short walk to Clifton hill. Parking was $15, valet is available at an extra charge.

« We like staying at this Best Western!! »

Yes we do! It is so close to everything. The falls are only a short walk, if you don't stop at all the fun places along the way. And a hop, skip and a jump to most everywhere esle you want to go. The rooms we have stayed in have always been clean, tidy and smell good. The beds are comfortable and the air conditioning and heat always work great. We love the balcony - being able to step outside is wonderful. Most of the staff are very friendly, grett you with a smile and helpful.Yes it would be a little better if the elevator had a bit more speed. Thank you! We will be returning!! Oh just a note to all - there are no fridges - we bring a cooler. The ice despensers work great! P.S. A note to the G.M. who is responding - you could spruce it up your responses a bit. :-) Unless these are corporate responses.

    « Deposit Not Returned »

I booked with Booking.com and they pre-charged my card 75 CAD which I was not aware of as policy states otherwise. Upon arrival my card was swiped for 'booking purposes' and I was charged a further 60 CAD, which was apparently deposit. I have online banking and when I noticed it the next day, I asked upon check out what this was for and was told it was for 'deposit'. The lady at the front desk said she had released the deposit. One week later, I still have not received it. I have sent an e-mail to the hotel but have been told that posting usually takes 3-15 days and that they are forwarding it to management. I have not received a reply. If I was to be charged 60 CAD as a deposit for a 75 CAD stay, I would LOVE TO KNOW beforehand and have the option to pay in cash instead of waiting this long while on the road to receive the deposit that was immediately charged on my arrival. Pool is in the parking lot. There was urine sprayed on the toilet seat of our room when neither of us had used it yet. Location was great and the bed was comfy. WiFi was fast and reliable and there is a convenience store open 24/7 just below.

    « Excellent Room »

Very good hotel, excellent room, very clean, good comfortable queen beds, good security (swipe cards at all doors), pleasant desk staff , nice clean pool & hot tub. Close to falls for walking, close to the Casino, lots of restaurants (some very expensive). Four minute walk to Casino parking underground, only cost me $5.00 for 2 days parking (you only pay when you leave, no tickets). Two blocks down the street (east then right)) is a restaurant that has a good buffet breakfast for $6.99 (they make their money on coffee $2.99). Good price for Hotel mid Sept. week day $71. + 13% tax + SC = $ 83. All in all I would certainly go there again, and I live only one hour away.

Very good location. Hotel is dated. Rooms are updated. Staff are very courteous and helpful!!!! Elevators are very slow. Room had an odd odor, but it ceased after some time. Bed quality is superlative!!!!!!

    « Old School »

We only stay at Best Western Hotels, and I think by far this is the Oldest one to date. Our room was really large and comfortable, and our housekeeper was such a sweet lady and made up our room beautifully each day, taking special note to any of our requests. It was quite hot while we were here so we enjoyed the air conditioned room, and outdoor pool, we pretty much had it to ourselves every day. I have to warn you though the hallways are grossly hot, and smelly and the carpets are in very poor condition. There is NO REASON for the amount of money this hotel brings in, that it can't be updated to the quality of the other Best Western hotels. The location is great and is all of a 10-15min walk to the falls, and is right across the street pretty much from the big Casino and Shopping area. The first day we ate breakfast at the "Famous" restaurant next to the Casino, and although we found it a little pricy, it was really good. The next morning we decided to eat at the IHOP located in the Best Western and if I can give you any advice at all...DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! Not only was the service sub standard, the food was TERRIBLE and on top of it all it was $80 for myself, my husband and our four year old daughter, (our bill the day prior was aprox $70 but it was 5star food and the service was excellent.) I just about fell off my chair...AND WE HAD WATER TO DRINK! To sum things up about our total experience, if this place wasn't free from reward points, we would have likely packed up and left the next day!! I most certainly wouldn't pay for this.

    « Great Location »

While I enjoy staying at this I was disappointed to find out that the parking had increased to $15.00 from $10.00 for Best Western Rewards cardholders. I know its a small amount but it is still disturbing

    « Location Only »

Stayed for 2 nights. Sad that Best Western gets tarnished by this hotel. Arrived on Friday evening and got woken up at 6 a.m. Saturday morning by fire alarm ringing in the entire hotel and rang for 30 minutes. Beds were comfortable but the rug was awful, big stains everywhere. Noisy in the back, Stanley Street connects to a major highway and cars keep coming. If you are light sleeper you definitely need ear plugs. Sad because this hotel is well located, close to everything. When checking out, no apologies were made from noise due to fire alarm and imposing TIF (Tourist Improvement Fee) for every night. This fee is VOLUNTARY, should not be force to pay. Will definitely not return.

    « Big mistake »

I thought this was a best western and that is the only reason why i made my booking. bu it is not, by far the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. dirty rooms, dirty bath, dirty tub, dirty carpets, falling paint, the place is old and requires serious renovations, the hallway looked like a seen from a horror movies, don't waste your money there. after two nights i check out and went to Hilton across the street, for the the price of the two rooms i booked i had a falls view sweet there. i wounder how they keep the franchise. the only good thing about is that its close from most of the attractions. parking is 20$ per night if you are a BW club member you get it for 15$ yet still even after i gave them my BW number they screwed up an charged me 20. the arcade area is the same, most of the machines are defected without a notice on i had to go 2 times to the front desk to claim the coins the machines ate and the third time i just gave up. do not waste your time and money there if you want to have a good vacation, for a couple of extra bucks stay in a better hotel. and yes never take guests comments for granted, a lesson i learned the hard way.

    « Not Happy »

Hotel not clean. Room had sparsely miss matched furniture. Curtains-1950's. Bed cover-blanket all bunched in lumps. IHOP- 2 seniors bkfst Total shock, the bill-came to $48.04 for a terrible breakfast.

    « Major disappointment! »

The worst hotel we have ever stayed at. Luckily only for one night. Other hotels were booked. Room and public areas dirty. Room furniture more than 'outdated'. Room phone not working and could not be fixed Same with air conditioning. TV and internet reception were also not working. I could go on...but suffice to say that we do not recommend this hotel.

    « Convenient Location »

Very convenient to Niagara Falls and the main strip. I-Hop attached with a breakfast special for quick in and out. The hotel was dated, but the lovely and friendly staff both at the desk and housekeeping made the stay a pleasant experience.

    « Don't know if I'll return. »

My boyfriend and I stayed here during my weekend birthday getaway. The hotel is located in the center of everything important...15 min walk to Clifton Hill and a 5-10min walk to the falls. The people at the front desk aren't very friendly, but check in and check out was quick enough. Our room was massive and very clean. No view, but we did have a balcony. The lady who cleaned our room always did a great job. The parking was also a little steep ($20), but we were able to get parking for $15 for being rewards members. They also allowed us to park there on check out day until 3pmwhich was awesome because we went to breakfast and did some last minute souvenir shopping w/o having to move the call and search for parking...now to the bad. The TV is our room was basically useless. Granted we didn't spend much time in our room but when we did the tv was in and out and had a pretty small selection to choose from. It rained one of the nights and we couldn't get any picture to come in for over an hour. There was also no microwave or fridge in the room which forced us to eat out every night with no option to heat left overs. I think that you could get a fridge but it was extra. The hotel was like a frat house (well if frat houses also included small children). There were unsupervised children running down halls. Beer bottles in hallways, loud music, people shouting off balconies, and in the mornings, I ran into a few hungover people stumbling around with no shoes. Me and my boyfriend are in our late 20's so this didn't bother us as much as it prob would others....because we were on the fifth floor at the end of the hall, none of the chaos ever reached us once our door was closed. We were also charged a TIF fee that we were told was optional and could be taken off only at the beginning of our reservation. We booked thru Expedia and wasn't given the option to remove it. I asked about the fee being removed at check in and the lady said that would be fine. After we checked in and I reviewed the bill I called and asked about the fee still being added and spoke to a lady that said that it can be removed, but only before reservation is reserved (or my card was swiped). I explained to her that I asked to have it removed but she said that it was nothing she could do after the card was swiped. I then spoke to a manager, who was polite enough but said that the fee is actually NOT optional, but required by the hotel. He apologized for the miscommunication and says he understands that it's not the customer's problem, but that it's also not the hotel's fault. Perfect. All in all we booked the hotel a few months in advanced and got a really good deal. However, if we could find someplace better for a little more on our next visit...we'll be heading there.

« Nice hotel, could use some improvements »

Great location, great price. However, B level wasn't as great as the upper levels. Room was nice and recently renovated, but lacked some things. 1 small mirror in bathroom, nothing in the room itself. Made getting ready difficult with more than one person sharing room. Thin cover on bed, no comforter or duvet, it got pretty chilly in the basement level at night. Lots of noise, do not think security did rounds down there. Parking is limited. Paid $20\\night at hotel but had to park next door in a $10 lot ( should of only had to pay $10/night in that case.)

« Not so great of stay »

We stayed here only one night, but when we first pulled in we wern't sure we were even going to be there for an hour before we found a new place. There were a bunch of young adults blocking the parking lot with games and coolers set up. Very rude and loud bunch. The hallways of the hotel had stains all over the carpets and a bad smell. Overall the room was nice and roomy so that was the one good thing. All night long though the adults stayed in the parking lot screaming, drinking and swearing until 6am. We would never stay here again because of this experience. This hotel is obviously for the partiers and people who don't care about the other guests in the hotel.

    1
    « Very disappointed »

We only stayed for 1 night but very disappointed. The rooms are not very clean and there are cigarettes butt and garbage on our car the next day. The hotel and rooms need some upgrade. Also very disappointed with the breakfast we had at Ihop. Not very good service and food is also not the greatest.

    2
« Disappointed with our stay »

Expected more from a Best Western than uncleaned up cigarette butts on the balcony, dim lighting and heating and cooling that was hard to adjust properly. Also, we were sold a Niagara tour and showed up on time, but staff had let the early bus leave without us. It was the last tour of the day, so we were very disappointed to literally miss the boat on the only day we could go. Got a refund, but missed the memories. The hotel is close, but does not have a view of the falls.

    2
    « Service was lacking... »

The room was large and comfortable but service was lacking. We stayed one night in August and booked the Magic Show package. At first our room keys didn't work and then they had to be programmed 2 more times during our stay. Surprised that there was no fridge in room. Hotel interior was dated and carpet stained. We enjoyed having two pools but not sure we'd stay at this location again.

    2
    « Disappointing »

Staff is nice. Lots of adults partying in the parking lot, as we were looking for a place park, they shouted obsenities at us. This was close to the main lobby. Property is run down and smells. Appears to be clean. Wouldn't stay here again.

    4
    « 2 Night Stopover »

We were only here for 2 nights. Our room was clean and comfortable. Free WiFi available too which was fine throughout our stay. Room a little dark but no complaints from us. The hotel give you some discount vouchers at check in, which is nice. We decided to put some of these to use. What I would say, particularly if you are on a budget, is check the menu on the Internet before you leave - the restaurants do not have menus displayed at the door, and once inside you may find it is more expensive than you had hoped.

    3
    « Niagra »

Decent rooms but basically it appears to have been a motel that had been taken over by the best western chain. Location wise it is amazing. However there are many better hotels in the same locality. Bang in the middle of the action n close to lots of restaurants n bars. There's a convenience store that is open 24hrs. It's about 10-15 min walk from the niagra centre n as much to the horn blower ride which is the equivalent of the maid of the mist ride from the Canadian side. Wouldn't recommend it easily

« Was nice and close to everything »

The hotel was clean and rooms were very large. Liked that it had 2 sets of sinks, one in bathroom and one outside. We walked everywhere was so close to everything. Would have been nice if they had a small fridge in the room.

    3
    « Very Dated Hotel »

I want to compliment the staff for their friendliness & help on check-in. The room was clean & the bed comfortable. However, the hotel is extremely dated. Not enough plug-ins for electronics. No cable tv selections. Sparse reception. Extremely expensive for what was offered. I am a Diamond Member & they up-graded us but the up-grade was not that great. I could have paid 1/2 of what we did and gotten a better room else-where. I was very disappointed. We won't be staying here again.

« "Great Place Great Price" »

We received a Groupon as a gift for this Hotel. We were very comfortable here during are visit we do the casino alot . I was reading reviews and after staying here can say it is a very nice place clean room's with a nice patio to sit in the evening and watch what's going on around . Before arrival I spoke with Adam . He was very good answering my questions on the Hotel and area and was very pleasant and made me feel comfortable and welcoming to the Hotel before arrival . The front desk staff was quick and easy to check in .. The outdoor pool was nice it was padded around the pool deck it was soft on the feet and indoor Hot tub in the pool area was nice in the evening . I highly recommend buying one of the deals online to have a nice priced get away for the night . You won't be disappointed..

« Not the "Best" Western »

My family has stayed at 4 best westerns in the last couple of months and have come to really enjoy the reliable quality of service at each location. This location seems to be an exception to the rule. Firstly I'd like to note that upon check out I brought up my concerns to the front desk politely and they did what they could to compensate us (which was greatly appreciated) and also informed me they would follow up with the various departments at the hotel to address the issues. Had they not taken these actions I might have given this location 2 stars instead of 3. We purchased this room as a Groupon deal, so our expectations weren't high. We were checking in promptly upon arrival and the staff there are great. The hallway leading to the room reeked of marijuana. When we got into the room it was large and clean (room 160), but the carpet at the front of the door was all ripped/cut and there were stains all over the carpet. Nothing a renovation can't fix. The wifi wasn't working that night but we were informed they were working on fixing that. There was no soap in the bathroom to wash our hands but it was late and we had soap so we didn't bother calling housekeeping for any. The next morning we were woken up by drilling of some sort in the building before 8:00am. Overall our experience was fine. We only needed a place to sleep and hadn't expected anything grand. It definitely felt like we got the shaft because we did a Groupon deal but the front desk assured me this was not the case. It's clean, good location, good staff but not much else. My dad nicknamed it the "Worst Western" but it's still far better than some hotels I've been to!

    « Location, Location, Location »

Stayed at the Best Western for 3 days from sep06-09. Great location. Basic hotel. Clean room and very comfortable bed. Close to everything. Short distance to the Falls, next to the Fallsview Casino. Many restaurants close by. Great staff and very friendly cleaning lady Holly. My only complain is that the room had a very noisy air conditioning unit, specially if you are a light sleeper. Had balcony and next to the pool. Good price as well...would go back.

    « do not reccomend »

Would not recommend Best Western to anyone, So disappointed in the cleanliness of the whole place, paid for parking and it took 20 minutes to find a spot. Very run down and paid way too much for this. Did not feel safe in the area.

    « Great Stay »

Room we stayed in was very clean. Reception folks/staff very friendly. Good location for walking distance to the falls. FYI: handicap parking is complimentary. Note that some rooms have air conditioner near the beds. Many restaurants within walking distance. Lots to see and do.

    « One night only »

Stayed here for one night. Staff were polite and friendly. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and tidy. Parking at the hotel was good and a decent rate. We booked 2 nights in September. This hotel was an older building but the room was amazing. The staff were wonderful. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a little warm in the hallways, but it was very humid outside. The price was right also. Great place.

    « Another Great Stay »

This is a great hotel within walking distance to all attractions. Yes there is no view of the falls, you have to walk 5 minutes for that. Have been to the falls a hundred times, so this is not important to us. 2 minute walk to the Fallsview Casino. The hotel is clean and kept up very well. Staff are friendly and courteous. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Internet is free and fast. Yes there is a $20 charge for parking, only $15 is you have a Best Western card. The IHOP on the property is a bonus as is the mini mart. We would definitely stay here again.

Room was very clean and large. No fridge, No Breakfast, Hallways and stairwells were not kept. Fire alarm going off at 6 AM was a huge disappointment especially after going to bed at 3 AM.... The location is excellent to all amenities, restaurants, Falls view Casino, Falls,,,, To bad for fire alarm and dirty stairwells took away from an overall good stay....

Great accommodations and great price. Room was good size and clean. Staff was helpful and friendly.. Location was perfect. However, there was no "view" of the Falls. « niagra falls labor day 2016 »

We went to Niagra Falls Canada on Labor Day weekend for three days and the Best Western Fallsview was ok. For this weekend the price was over one hundred dollars cheaper than hotels 2 blocks down the street. If you want a lot of extras this isn't it. It does have 2 pools and a IHop restraurant. It's a fine motel if you are like us and are mostly gone all day.The one bad thing was parking was 20 per day at motel but it seems all the hotels have paid parking.

    2
« Close to the falls but disappointing »

Unpleasant, unhelpful front desk person gave a bad first impression to the hotel. He gave us poor directions that sent us to the wrong building and the wrong floor. We were actually to go to a side part of the hotel through an unmarked door that looked like it was a part of the convenience store on the corner. The rooms (we booked one for us and one for another couple we were traveling with) gave off a smell of pet urine that was nauseating. While there, when we wiped up water on the bathroom floor, the towels were black. That said a lot for the cleanliness of the room. There was a dead bug on the floor and the radiator was dusty - all week. Somehow, the room was "cleaned" daily without addressing these issues. One of the a/c's could not be adjusted, either the fan or the temperature control, so either it was ON or OFF. Hardly catering to the individual needs of customers. The I-Hop (in the hotel) required a half hour wait, the bathrooms had paper towels and toilet paper all over the floors as well as toilets (not one but all) needing to be flushed - some were plugged (!), and the prices were so overly inflated that our breakfast (nothing fancy) for 4 people was $118! Needless to say, we left with indigestion. By the way, we asked a local at the nearby Walmart where she goes for breakfast and she advised a place called Phil's on Lunt Avenue, about 3 miles from town.Really good home-style cooking and much cheaper. $38 fed us fine and the service was extremely personable (the restaurant is run by her daughters). One day, while in the lobby, we had to use the bathroom and were told there was no lobby bathroom and to use the one in I-Hop. No thank you! We went back up to our rooms. This is a hotel that would have no customers if it wasn't for the convenient location to the falls. Too bad management has decided to give its customers so little else. We won't be returning and urge you to make another choice when visiting the falls. We researched for 2 months (off and on) prior to booking these rooms, reading reviews carefully. Yes, somewhere on one of the reviews, mentioned some part of the hotel had been renovated. It wasn't our part. Don't forget that you will need to pay, if you have a vehicle $20 a day for parking - on top of the high taxes (nearly 18%) and the price of the rooms.

    « GREAT LOCATION »

Got a great deal from Travelzoo so stayed here again August 28-29 the hotel was clean and is in a great location. The staff are efficient but not overly friendly. The outside pool was nice. Parking is a bit steep if your not a rewards member. We would stay here again. They charge an extra 5%, it's call TIF, but you can ask to have it removed from your bill.

Girls weekend getaway. Great rooms. Nice view of fireworks display over the falls. Comfy beds and great pillows. Hotel staff was nice and helpful. Ihop restaurant on site is overpriced. Ihop staff refused to remove the optional tourist tax from out bill but several other restaurants did quite willingly. Note to those looking to get a tattoo. There is a tattoo shop called Hart and Huntington in the building. Came super close to getting my first tattoo that weekend. Will be going back soon tk get it!

Would have given a "Very Good" rating but because the staff went out of there way for a minor problem with the first room they had assigned us, we felt it only proper to give an excellent rating. The location is PERFECT and the rooms are very clean. We will definitely consider staying here again.

Great location, nice pool area for the kids, the rooms need updated and we had to pay for parking and there was no parking available when we arrived the sheets were dirty. After spending a substantial amount over labor day weekend on this hotel would expect the beds and pillows to be a little more comfortable.

    « Great Location »

Clean room, small bath room, nice balcony-especially if you are a smoker. Comfortable mattress, awful foam pillows-got a kink in my neck. Great location-close to many attractions -casino, shopping, restaurants, falls. Parking charge of $ 20 per day

    « Great location! »

Location is excellent! The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and just a 3 minute walk down to the falls. The CN tower is also just minutes away by foot. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, AC and coffee maker, but no refrigerator. There is a small outdoor pool which is great to cool off in the summer and a small convienience store just below the hotel offering essentials and tourist items. Ihop is ajoined to the hotel, but be aware the prices here are higher than we've experienced in the states (17 CAD for pancakes)!

« Great location, average hotel »

My girlfiend and I have been having a girl's get away for over 10 years. The last two years we have stayed at this hotel and have been happy with the price for the average hotel that we know it is. The rooms are large, we have 2 queen beds and a balcony off the room. The parking is $20.00 a day to park in their lot which seems a lot when you are staying there. The rooms are clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. There is an overpriced IHOP attached to the hotel than should be avoided at all costs since the food is poor and really overpriced. There is a Tim Hortons across the street that is great and reasonably priced. There are 2 sink areas which are great when there are 2 women sharing. There is a pool, arcade area for the kids and it is close to the Casino and restaurants and shopping. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable and helpful. I would have like a fridge in the room. Would recommend for location and price.

This place was definitely average. While it is in a good location, the rooms are very old and lacked any form of amenities. There was no coffee, no books regarding Niagara falls, and it felt like the only thing we got were towels. Overall, I'm not totally impressed. The last time I stayed here was much better. Plus, I couldn't sleep because you can hear through the walls and there were extremely loud people.

Booked on line with Book me. Filled out information on Blackberry for $90 room and halfway through they said it wasnt available anymore but could get for 110.Went ahead anyways figuring places were getting booked fast because of time of year but when I arrived it wasnt busy at all.Older building but was clean and rooms were very spacious.Charged $20 just to park there. Wasnt until after I saw I could of parked at Imax or Casino for only $5.It said it was only a block from Falls but seemed alot further than that. Was a last minute trip so will do more research before going again

Good size room and clean - no AC in hallways or elevators was terrible! Overpriced IHOP restaurant and parking was inadequate and expensive. Great location to walk to falls and Clifton Hill area. Pool was well maintained.

Parking was terrible took us 10 to 15 mins to find a spot. Front desk and checking was ok , ask for renovated rooms before checking in. Rooms are large and clean, had all types of toiletries. Staff where great to help with all your needs, some of them even helped with you plans and directions. Great job.

« I found three beds and one was just right! »

Having recently stayed at a new Best Western Plus location in western New York, I was somewhat excited (in a dorky way) about capitalizing on the Groupon package I had reserved weeks in advance for this property. So I should temper my compliments by acknowledging that potential bias. All in all, I had a good stay here: the location was ideal, the amenities were very satisfying (including an onsite IHOP and computers for Internet access), and the room (complete with not two, but THREE double beds) was spacious and accommodating. It's true that the feel and character of the hotel are a bit "average," but then, perhaps that is part of its charm. It is a "motel" kind of place and delivers on that promise - the promise of an Americana vacation in a place not too far from America. If you are looking for a reasonably, even inexpensively-priced hotel (depending on the discounts you grab) within walking distance of the Falls and with a few pleasant distractions of its own, then this is the place for you.

« Better than expected - when you know what to expect »

We stayed on the North Side of the hotel, on the top floor (6th). We had worried about all the negative posts on Trip Advisor, but we are BW members and were ready for adventure. The room was very spacious, and clean. It is true there is no fridge or microwave - we knew that ahead of time. The whole town is expensive, but this hotel was reasonable compared to others in the area. Parking was about $15US, which was on par with other places. We didn't end up with any extra, unexpected charges on our bill. The staff was welcoming and shared tips of what to see and do in the area. It doesn't have a view of the falls, but it is easy to get to and from the falls while leaving the car parked at the hotel. We walked down the hill, and used the WEGO bus to get back. We swam in both pools while there - indoor and outdoor. Both were clean and had plenty of towels. We did NOT eat at the IHOP, which has terrible reviews. We did hear people in the lobby complain about the service - being very slow and taking over a half hour to place an order. We ate at the Tim Hortons on the corner. Hotel was a good value.

    « Average Place »

Not the best of hotels, but not the worst either. Comparatively, the price was right, the rooms were older and dated, but the staff at the front desk were great. Upon check-in, we asked about outlet shopping. We were give directions, a map and some advice. Great job! Keep the staff, renovate the hotel.

This was a mix of bad and good. Firstly the location is great, we had a double queen room which was huge and each room looked like they had a little balcony. The rooms were clean and had what you would expect from any hotel. The ladies who checked us in were also lovely, very knowledgeable and professional. Now the parking was a different story. We had to pay an extra $20 per day for parking and there wasn't even a spot for us! We had to park in a lot behind the hotel! Ok so it was a secure lot but if you were travelling with little kids, a lot of luggage or anyone with mobility issues it could be a real problem. We also opted to buy the advertised $12 set breakfast for the in hotel IHOP, big mistake! It was the worst breakfast and service I think I've ever received. We were seated quite quickly and got our drinks within 5 mins, then we handed the server our coupons and things went downhill. She dissapered for almost 40 mins, we ended up having to ask someone else to bring us milk for our coffee. Our food arrived after 55 mins with no explanation or apology. The tables around around us, who were seated within 5 mins of us were finished by the time ours came. The food itself was pathetic, hash browns were cold ,no sausage and the bacon was shriveled and about 5cms long. AVOID!

    « Never again »

I'm not even in my room yet. (Because the keys. That's right. Both of them don't work) No signs for room numbers. Had to haul my luggage up 2 small sets of stairs to get to the elevator. The smell in the hall is nauseating. There are stains all over the carpets. Very old and out dated. From the halls appears no updates or general maintenance is done. I have stayed in some really nice best westerns I feel like I'm in a bad movie at this one.

    « Very disappointing »

We recently stayed at the Best Western. It was close to everything which was convenient. This might have been the only convenience. There was no parking near the entrances so we had to park in the next lot over on the other side of the building and it was a walk for small kids and us carrying our bags. Our door was open, not unlocked, OPEN when we got there and the kids were terrified that someone was in our room. The A/C did not work. The hallways and room were not clean. The pillows were terrible. They had free wifi but apparently it only works in the lobby. The front desk staff were not very personable at check in or out. We will never stay at this hotel again and will advise our friends to do the same. This hotel is just living off the franchise name, and it has discouraged us from staying at any Best Western hotels in the future.

« Service Made All the Difference »

We have stayed at this property many, many times but i finally had such a great experience that I could not help but write a review. I would have given the property 5 stars but it is substantially dated and that is the only reason for the 4 stars. Something at this property has definitely changed. The customer service was outstanding. When I checked in, I was welcomed as a Diamond member and asked if I was celebrating anything. Nothing special I said, except my birthday. Well, I get back to the room, which was upgraded and quite nice, and we received a phone call to ask how everything was and did we need anything else. We were also told to call if we needed anything at all. That was a nice touch, But then, we hear a knock on the door and the hotel had a birthday card signed for me and lots of coupons for restaurants, wineries and rides in Niagara Falls. That was just excellent customer service! Although the property is dated, it is one of the few places with balconies and is very centrally located. We would stay again.

« Very nice place for families with kids. I'd go there again »

It was close to everthing. Really happy about that. The only thing is, the Ihop restaurant is quite expansive... So we ate at Tim Horton right behind. The rooms were quiet, the maid did a nice job. The elevator in the middle was slow compared to the others, but going down, we took the staird. They gave us a free entry to one of the attractions, my family adored it. The staff is nice also.

    4
    « Great location »

Location is perfect walking distance not more then 20 minutes to any of the main attractions. Not too fancy but I would definitely recommend if you want affordable accommodations in walking distance. Didn't like the I hop too expensive, but do try the chip truck north of the hotel called Maxine's. It is Jamaican excellent food and not over priced.

« Did not enjoy our stay »

We had a few issues with our stay. Our hallway smelt of weed, when brought to the hotels attention nothing was done. We had hair in the shower (was found before used), and our phone charger melted when plugged into the wall. Make sure you stay in the 'newer' rooms! I would not recommend this hotel for the amount of money we spent, there are many other options in the same price range. Hotel staff tried to deal with the issues but did not handle the situation well, lack of training.

    3
    « Don't judge a book by its cover.... »

Despite the look of the hotel from the outside, the rooms themselves are quite good, though basic. Beds were comfy, rooms were huge, but no fridge. Good location. We got a good deal on the cost of the room due to an error with a third party booking company. Made for a tough check in process (not entitling the hotel's fault). Should we have paid full price for the room I honestly would have checked other newer hotels which would have been more comparable in price. Parking is cheaper if you are a rewards member (but the hotel didn't really advertise that). Would give an overall rating of 3.5 out of 5 if that were possible. Would return if the price was right.

    4
    « Worth the price »

Very good location. Walking distance to the best part of Niagara as well as to the best Casino in town. Hotel is a bit dated with bad smells on common areas (hallways and elevators). Bathroom was not the cleanest. Although I booked a stay for 4 people, only 3 towels were available. For the priced I paid, I recommend and I would stay again.

    5
    « Short stay »

Very clean hotel. Only there for overnight but had a very nice view. There was even a heater outside on the patio. Would stay there again. When we got to the room, the air conditioner was on and it was cool in the room. It was very hot and humid outside, so it was nice and cool for sleeping.

« Annoyed with this stay »

More parking, drove around for 30 minutes looking for a spot I paid for and could not find one. My keys stopped working and I was staying the whole weekend, after driving around I just wanted to get to my room and that was not happening. Have bigger showers so you're not bending down to get the water on your head. Actually have a tv go higher than a blocked number that would not let me go any higher if I tried and the channel was very quiet. I found three huge spiders in my room that my boyfriend had to kill which was gross. Elevators were very slow. There also wasn't any ice in the ice machines so we had to buy a bag which was very annoying. I over all am disappointed in this stay and I would like to have my points back. If they improve I might like to stay again to find out because it was in a perfect location to everywhere I was going.

« For the price not nice. »

This was a very expensive stay for bleak accommodations. The carpets are absolutely disgusting, do not take your shoes off. Now the rest of the place is decent and the staff very friendly. The location is prime, but still upgrade for what you are charging $279 per night. I don't mind the price, but make it worth my money. The game room for the kids is nice and IHOP on premise great.

    2
    « Don't bother »

Not worth the money, look elsewhere unless you would like a view of the iHop for the cost of looking at the falls. Also, they won't waive the ridiculous TIF tax which they aren't actually allowed to charge.

    3
    « Okay hotel »

Pros: close to Skylon Tower and WeGo bus system which takes you to all the Niagara attractions, indoor and outdoor pools (Outdoor pool is in the parking lot but that didn't seem to be a problem for our family.), one of the more reasonably-priced hotels in an expensive tourist destination, friendly staff, air conditioning, Tim Hortons behind for a quick and cheaper breakfast Cons: We were put in the older section of the hotel and while not exactly dirty, the bathroom in particular was quite beat up, dated and needed some TLC. (cracks and dings, new cocking needed, nooks and crannies needing to be wiped). A standard bottle of pop from the vending machine costs $3 (same as throughout Niagara) and there is no fridge or microwave in the room.

    « Ok Best Western »

I am a platinum Best Western member so we always try and stay at one when we travel. Rarely are we disappointed with our stay. The room we stayed at was very large and comfortable, we enjoyed that aspect of our stay! However, the internet was INCREDIBILITY slow or unreliable. Also as a platinum member I was not happy that they placed us right across the hall from the elevators and ice machine. We were woken up early every morning with people getting ice.

« Failure to move reservation from Sat to Mon due to family emergency »

We booked this hotel through hotels.com. We attempted to move the reservation due to family emergency from Sat to Mon night. I called on Thurs noon for the Sat reservation. I was informed there was a 3 day cancellation period. They would not move this reservation to Monday nor would they change or cancel to anything. I talked with both hotels.com and Best Western. One blamed the other with no one assuming the blame. I would never recommend this hotel. How many hotels have a 3 day cancellation and then refuse to bend for a family emergency. It cost us over $200. We travel extensively so we will not use either hotels.com or Best Western again.

    « Okay »

We decided to try out this hotel after staying at the Holiday Inn the night before. It advertised cheapest rooms close to the Falls. It as well was a good 10 minute walk to the Falls which is reasonable to me. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Now, we had visited in the morning to reserve the room as we were heading to Niagara on the Lake for the day. We were told the room was $199. okay, certainly more reasonable than the Holiday Inn. We return to check in and then we get the ? it's $20. extra to park here (I'm sorry but are we not staying at your hotel, why are we paying for parking?) then you need to leave a $60. security deposit!.. Wow! The room itself was huge and clean, but to our surprise and I"m thinking this room is more of a romantic suite, the bathtub and sink/counter area with full mirrors is totally open to the Bedroom! .. There is a pocket door that separates the toilet/shower from this open concept bathroom, but if you turn the light on to use it (as it's totally dark with no light) the whole bathroom area and bedroom area is lit up!! So do not get up to go in the middle of the night cause you're going wake up the person who's asleep. Also, I'm not sure who designed the toilet area, but I will best describe it? small room, shower on one side, toilet on the other,?now when you need the toilet paper it is beside the shower, so you have to be able to reach it three feet away, or best grab some before you go. Very poor planning! All in all a decent hotel, but probably won't go back.

    « Won't go back. »

The lobby was nice. Staff was nice. That is where it ends. Room was clean but the ac unit made a loud noise like a wrench was banging around in it. We had 4 people. 3 bath towels one hand towel and two wash clothes. No ice on any floor! 6 floors and no ice!. Vending machine drinks were $3 and only took tokens. 2 cups of coffee available in the room. No breakfast available except at IHOP. Not happy and was very reluctant to ever go to a best western again but stayed at one in Pennsylvania the next night and was very pleasantly surprised. Stay someplace else.

    « Nothing special-below BW standards, I think »

Average hotel with overly crowded parking lot, which you have to pay for. After a long drive to Niagara, I was looking forward to taking a hot bath; however, we were put in the basement, in a handicapped accessible room...so only a shower with a chair. I feel the check-in staff should have asked if that type of room was ok, or at least informed us that we were getting that type of room. Also, we purchased the hotel stay through Groupon, which listed that we would get a $25 casino voucher, but when we inquired about that we were told the casino doesn't offer that in June & July, even though the Groupon was for July. Overall a convenient location and we were only there overnight, so it wasn't bad.

« Best Western needs to up their game »

Booked a 1 night stay with 2 friends at this location for the Civic holiday long weekend Saturday. Understanding it is one of the busiest times of the summer, we paid almost $300 for 1 night. We were on our way to hotel late afternoon and I got a curt phone call from the manager Ashley asking if I was going to take the room and that my credit card was declined. She told me she had to charge the room because they were busy that night (they normally would just use the card to hold the room). I gave her another card number and she told me that was declined too in an impatient and less than courteous tone, so I gave her a second card and half way through giving her the number, she told me to stop because her machine froze, which she subsequently told me that's probably why the first card didn't work, so she asked me again to give her the 1st card number and it worked. No "thank you" whatsoever from her, we ended the conversation. We arrived at the hotel shortly and checked in. I had requested a room with 2 Queen beds when booking online, check in staff gave us a room with 3 swipe cards (obviously saw the 3 of us) in the basement and when we walked in there was 1 Queen size bed. So we had to go back to reception to request another room. this time they put us on the 4th floor and the room was decent. I proceeded to get ice: 4th floor no machine (called front desk they told me there should be a machine there on the 4th floor); 3rd floor ran out of ice; 5th floor ran out of ice; 6th floor machine has "out of order" sign. We only found 2 bars of soaps in the bathroom so I went to ask front desk to give us some shampoo. The woman looked at me , asked me what room number I was in and then told me there is a shampoo dispenser in the shower. Most of the staff looked like they did not want to be there (including the managers) and when I asked questions, they talked to me like I was stupid or something. However there were 2 younger front desk staff who were quite pleasant (a guy who helped us change room and a girl who printed me the receipt at check out) This was likely my very last time staying at a Best Western (and my friends as well). They have very old buildings (the ones in Niagara Falls) and I doubt they can remain competitive with the other same rate hotels.

Great location. Close to all the attractions (within walking distance ). Rooms are spacious and clean. Decor was dated. Hallways were dirty looking, especially the carpets. Had 2 pools which were clean. For the price it was well worth it. Despite the look of the hallway I would stay again. Staff were friendly and helpful. FYI they will charge you a tourist fee per day about $6.00 a day. Also parking is not free .

« Good price, good location. Everything else is pretty average »

We stayed at the Best Western Fallsview for two nights. We booked more than two months in advance and paid $108/night for each of two connecting rooms. Check in was quick and easy. On check-in we were upgraded to the main building and to queen bed rooms for $10 (well, it turned out he meant ?$10 per night per room?). The rooms were large. Outside the bathrooms was a separate counter with a second sink, which was very convenient. The balcony was nice as well. The room came with wi-fi, which was included in the price. It was a bit spotty and there were numerous times when the signal dropped out or when one of us was simply unable to connect. My notes also said the free parking was great, right up until we checked out and they charged us $20 per night for the privilege. I checked my booking details and saw that the fine printsaid parking was $18/day. The hotel is in easy walking distance from the falls. There are plenty of restaurants around, including an IHOP attached to the hotel. On the negative side, the fact that the hotel is called the Best Western ?Fallsview? refers to the name of the street on which the hotel is located, not to any ability to see the falls from the hotel. There is zero view of the falls, or anything anywhere near the falls, from any room in the building, which was a little disappointing. No doubt, the hotel owners take advantage of the fact that a significant portion of tourists booking the hotel do so under the mistaken impression that the rooms in the hotel have a view of the falls. Then they will point to the name of the street and say they don't specifically advertise having a view of the falls (other than as is implied in the hotel name, of course). While the room was big, it had few amenities. There was no fridge and no safe. And the A/C unit was very loud. I don't mean, a consistent white-noise hum, I mean a sound you would expect from some sort of industrial grinder. The vast majority of my reviews get a 3 or 4 out of 5 stars. This would still be a 3 even if I could give half-stars. If I was coming to Niagara Falls again, I would definitely look at other properties before booking here. But I would stay here again depending on what else was available.

During a medical emergency that we experienced during our stay, the staff rushed in to help. The housekeepers used their personal cell phones to talk to 911 operators while the maintenance man worked with my son as he recovered from a grand Mal seizure. Their caring and quick action was a tremendous help to me. I also appreciated that the managers allowed us to leave our personal belongings in the room while we went to the hospital. The staff at this hotel went above and beyond...I really appreciated their quick action.

« Beware of over inflated/fluctuating prices when booking online. »

I booked a double bed room online 18 hours ago for $213. Checked in 2 hours ago. Now, sitting in our room, we logged onto the Best Western website and saw the same room advertised for $109. Called Carlos on the front desk and was told 'if the prices went up you wouldn't expect us to charge you more'. Fair point but a rude response that does little to make me believe rooms have suddenly opened up in the last two hours. The room is OK for $109, but NOT worth $213. Next time I come to Niagara Falls I'll call the hotels directly (skipping Best Western)

Have been staying at the Best Western Fallsview for many summer vacations. This time we were very disappointed with the hotel. The hallways were dirty and the carpet needed to be replaced immediately. Our room was clean, however, we felt the carpet needed a good shampooing. The balcony also needed to be powered washed. The staff at Best Western Fallsview from housekeeping to the front desk were very polite and professional. We hope the hotel will go up to Best Western Standards.

Stayed at The Best Western for a girls weekend getaway and overall we enjoyed our stay. The room was nice with clean carpeting and bedding, nice clean washroom, good size balcony with 2 chairs. We were on the 6th floor. Walking distance to all the attractions. The only negative that we would have is that we ordered a pizza for delivery and we had to meet the driver in the lobby when he arrived. The driver told us that The Best Western is the on hotel that does not allow their drivers to deliver to guest rooms. I have never stayed at a hotel where a pizza could not be delivered directly to me in my room. A disappointment as we had all changed into our pjs and were caught off guard when we had to change to run to the lobby to pick up our food.

We were very happy with our stay. Exellent customer service. The outdoor pool was refreshing and the room was clean and spacious with a nice balcony. Very convenient location. Affordable place to stay in fallsview district location.

    « Very decent »

I have been coming to Niagara Falls for many years and have stayed at a few hotels, mainly the Hilton or the Marriott. This is the second summer my friend and I have come to the falls for a girls weekend and the second time we stayed at the best western. I do like the hotel, though it needs many updates. Old carpeting, the AC units are very old and need to be updated. We had a much larger room this weekend than last summer which was nice, but the AC only worked on the fan setting. I enjoyed the double sinks made getting ready very easy for us. There is no mini fridge, which should always be included in rooms in my opinion. A short walk to the strip, a good location. The parking fee is very high considering you self park in a very crowded lot. Wouldn't remove the TIF fee, which was disappointing considering the Hilton did when I was there a few months ago, and it's frustrating that it's not used to do any improvements to the hotel facilities. The rooms are dated, and many upgrades would benefit your customers. I do like the balconies, because I'm a smoker and it's nice to just step out to have one. Also the elevators- very slow! ice machines should be on every floor!! I'd like to see these "fees" I pay go to improvements! Will come back again, but really hoping to see some customer improvements!! Please work on these things.

« Fallsview name of the hotel is a scam »

The hotel name is call falls view. The photo of the front of the hotes you see on the site is far from what it realy look alike. When we got there with a booking for 2 night at 250$ a night, after being told that we had the best room of the hotel we expected to see the falls from somewere in the hotel. Unfortunatly it didn't happened. We ask to cancel the second day wich was refused. Being a diamond member of there best reward fidelity program I tought that with calling the program customer service I would get help. They more or less left me with my problem. The day after finaly got to meet the big manager of the hôtel, he finaly let me go with a 50$ penalty. WE went to embassy suite and had a super view at the 40th floor for 60$ more.

    « 7th Wonder »

Loved Niagara! Hotel was adequate and reasonably priced. The rooms were larger than normal, clean and comfortable. IHOP co-located on property was OK but not great. Hotel was within easy walking distance to the falls.

« Stayed three times. Fireworks from the room balcony »

This is our third stay. As usals, it is a good place. All attractions at walking distances. Good caring staff such as Cathy and Kailasha. and Lovee in HK Parking is very high @ 15.00 per night. But you can park just across the street at $ 5.00 per 24 hrs. and save $ 10.00 per day. This BW gives free coupons to some attractions.A very worth gift to each guest. Thanks for the free coupons.

« Best Western Fallsview - Niagara Falls »

Our stay at Best Western Fallsview - Niagara Falls was a great experience. Hotel was nicely located within walking distance to the Falls, Clifton Hill, Down Town and the many many other attractions nearby. It was also a short cab/uber ride to some other attractions or a short train ride to downtown Toronto. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean. Would stay there again.

« Enjoy Niagara Falls but stay elsewhere »

This hotel was very disapointing. It is very dated and needs updating. It was not what we expected from Best Western it seems like it was an old "motel" that has been converted poorly. The pool was literally in the parking lot, the hallways were dark and maze like. The room was tattered with small holes in the curtains, everything seemed so worn. The location was walking distance to the falls but it was a long walk up hill to get back to the hotel. The title Fallsview is misleading it is the name of the street the hotel is no way near to the falls and has a view only of the street and other hotels. There are so many choices in the area, choose another hotel for the same price. Go to Niagara Falls though - we had a fabulous time and enjoyed every minute!

    « Good value »

We seem to stay here often as our kids make it a habit of giving gift certificates at Christmas. Always get what we expect. Comfortable bed, clean, but worn facility. Seems something is getting repaired or replaced most times we are there, but that is a good thing. Handy to everything you want to visit in the falls. Easy walks down to the falls themselves, restaurants, and the casino. We always get the King suite with large jetted tub. Recommend you call the Hotel direct to get the best deal and package. Can't beat the packages with meal, casino, attractions coupons.

« A Beautiful view of the fireworks from our balcony »

The room was extremely large. The bed were very comfortable, The staff was exceptional. They were very helpful in suggestion meal locations, laundry facilities, and would always greet us with Hellos, good mornings, and afternoons.

    « Very impressed! »

I was impressed with this hotel for the price. It is very centrally located so you can walk to everything. Our room was huge and the beds were very comfortable with nice linens. I liked that each room has it's own balcony. You do have to pay for parking but at least you can keep your car parked there and walk to everything. We were nervous that it would be noisy since there were some young "partiers" staying next door to us but we didn't hear a peep. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay near the Falls with a budget.

« Comfy bed... But front desk refused to remove the voluntary TIF when I asked »

The restaurant removed the TIF without a problem but the front desk refused to remove from bill when I asked. I paid 289.00 for a mediocre stay. Mist ice machines were not working, elevators were so slow and no air conditioning in the hallways so we were sweating while waiting for elevators!!! I will never stay here again! I have the number for someone higher up I'm going to call about getting the TIF refunded back to me

    2
« Only stay here if you get a deal »

If I had paid full price I would have gotten a refund and left...but for $75 a night it was okay ( groupon). Not very clean, old dingy bedding, shower fluctuated between hot and cold, very outdated, and just run-down. Unless you book this for cheap, don't stay here!

    3
« Decent stay...But refused to remove the voluntary Tourist Fee (TIF) »

Check in & Out were very easy and pleasant. Room was clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Beware: Even though B.W.Fallsview does not hide the fact that they will be charging a 5% TIF (Tourist Improvement Fee) they refused to remove it from the bill even though it is clearly a voluntary fee which is supposed to be removed when requested to do so. To add insult to injury, the 5% is added to the 13% HS tax as well.

    1
« DISGUSTING DIRTY CARPETS THROUGHOUT »

Definitely NOT worth the end bill of $180/night! In need of MAJOR renovation/decorating; ALL carpets throughout hotel are FILTHY; furnishings dated; no fridge or microwave; limited TV channels; bathroom facilities adequate; if you plan to spend close to $200/night, check out other hotels - WEGO transport system is throughout much of downtown tourist area of Niagara and costs are reasonable.

    3
« Good hotel for the price and location »

I don't typically write reviews but after realizing how heavily I rely on them for my family when travelling, I figured it would be good to start offering my opinion on hotels as well! We took a 3 day long trip to Niagara falls during the week with our 5 and 2 year old boys. We wanted something close to the falls but not $300+ a night. This hotel met those requirements, however my review of the hotel is mixed. Pros: Within walking distance to the falls and the Wego bus route. Great sized room for a family of 4, however we were supposed to have 2 queen beds and they seemed more like fulls. There was a sink in the bathroom and also a second sink right outside the bathroom made getting ready easier. The maids were really nice and very helpful whenever we needed something. We had a 5th floor room with a balcony which faced the falls and were able to see the fireworks, although we couldn't actually see the falls from the balcony. We were in the building which had been recently renovated and the room was decent and clean. Cons: it was beyond difficult to get around the hotel due to steps everywhere - made getting a stroller for our 2 year old almost impossible! Also made getting a luggage cart inside almost impossible. One hint is to drive around to the back of the hotel which comes in directly on the main level ? wish they would have told me this when we checked in! The hallways are not air conditioned and it was HOT! There was no breakfast and the IHOP on site was expensive - and not very good ? although the service was great. The outdoor pool was cold!!! We had to pay $20 a day to park in the parking at the hotel. Ridiculous! Right across the street next to the Holiday Inn was an all day parking lot for only $5! And on top of the $20 parking fee, they charge $10 a night for a refrigerator (just take a cooler and keep it filled with ice!), and $30 a night for a roll away bed.

« Worst hotel. Stay away »

I don't know who would give this hotel a good grade. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The halls are disgusting and the rooms needed updating 20 years ago. There was no air in the bedroom in the unit we had. When I asked the Manager about it -They knew about it but no mention when we booked or checked in. No wi-fi because we checked in Sunday night and they changed code on Monday. Mgr said it wasn't their fault and we should have called the number on the card we were given with code. When I called the front desk Sunday to complain they said we probably couldn't get on because it doesn't work when a l ot of people are on it. Great location but not worth the $300/night in high season. Pay more and stay elsewhere.

    4
    « Good location »

Good hotel. Got a good offer off Expedia, but if you want a balcony request it. There are rooms without one of course we got it and couldn't switch because they were booked. The room is huge, very small tv for the size of the room. Clean very quiet. IHOP is located on site for breakfast, going to try this today. There is also a huge mini store attached. Location to the falls 5-10 mins max one way, 5-10 to Clifton hill the other so it's neutral.

    « Niagara Falls trip »

I went on vacation for 3 nights, 1st time in Canada. Was easy to arrive... Location is great!! Indoor pool is a little room... Limited restaurant Parking is limited Arcade Room is fun but this Hotel is more to leave your stuff and go around most likely nothing in it.!

    4
    « Conveniently located Hotel »

The Hotel itself is reasonably priced and the rooms are clean and comfortable but looking a little old. The best part is it's very close to many things in Niagara Falls - the casino, Marguerittaville restaurant, the Falls, the iMAX theatre, and shopping. We have booked this hotel a few times because of the convenience.

    « Niagara Falls stay for a 6-y.o. birthday »

We are a family of four, with two young kids. To celebrate our little guy's 6th birthday, I booked a two-night stay at Best Western Fallsview. I will give you a "power-point" summary of our stay, starting from the best. - great room size! nice layout, two sinks; - good beds, seem too soft at first but comfortable to sleep in all night; - vouchers for Fun Centers - take them! use them! great deal! - two pools, we mostly used the indoor one as the outdoor was still chilly even in the immense heat; - quick service, reception staff great, maid service also very good; - use that Chocolate FX voucher, we did and it was fun. We actually started my son's birthday by taking an 10 a.m. tour there - is there a better way? - there is so much to do in the area, you will never run out of things to do and will never be bored! But if you have little kids, give them a break during the day - let them nap in your room with the blackout drapes drawn, and they will be as fresh as daisies after. Now this... - carpeting on the ground floors need changing. It is a very high-traffic area, and that smell put me off. Management, it is time. Do not wait any more. - we had to rent a fridge for 10$/night which should be a basic feature with no charge, in my opinion; I am not talking a microwave - but a fridge in the summer is a must when travelling with young kids; - we did not use those food vouchers - the restaurant prices are so overinflated it just doesn't make sense... - ok, hotel parking... Management probably heard an earful about that but I can't help but contribute. If there is a parking lot across the street charging 5$/all day, why would you charge $20??? That is just taking advantage of your customers because they don't know better. So I am going to say this: people who are going to stay at this hotel, just unload your staff and park your car across the hotel. Your saving will be 15$/day. Spend that money on amusement centers. In general, we had a great time and we would come back to the area - and maybe to the same hotel, provided the fridge and parking issues are resolved.

    « Had better »

Would not return to this facility, staff poor, over priced and food to expensive. only location good minutes from the Falls. Did not acknowledge taking off the Niagara tax off anything at the hotel. obviously did not adhere to Marketplace report

    « Family vacation »

Nice hotel, room was very large so great for family of 4. Location was OK.. a little walk to the Falls but not bad. The only issue was the cost of the meal at IHOP. we went for breakfast and order 2 meals split between 4 people and the bill was still over $50.00!

    « Great place! »

Great place! Super location, very clean, fantastic staff! We'll certainly be back!!! We've travelled to Niagara Falls on numerous times and our stay here at the Best Western ranks right up there near the top!! It's a great value and a return trip is in our future!

    5
« Wonderful Place to Stay »

    « Wedding accomodations »

I loved the central location and the view from the balcony of this great hotel and landmark on the Niagara landscape. The IHOP restaurant was very good for breakfast and hotel staff and housekeeping did a fabulous job. I would highly recommend this economical location when in Niagara Falls. The views of the city are great.

    2
    « Not a good Best Western »

On a road trip covering 20 states a 2 countries. And this was by far the worst hotel. The balconies on the first floor are eye level with parked cars which are within a foot of the chairs. So mthe view is of either a car grill or tailpipe. They gave a $15. credit for IHOP breakfast which came to $25 and change. Next day we went else ware for $18+ change. The halls are dark and dirty with house keeping carts always present. Don't stay here.

    2
    « Lack of concern »

My wife left her bathing suit on the balcony when we checked out. after 3 phone calls they finally got back to us with the excuse that a new maid cleaning the room may have put it in the laundry. most of the sheets are white, her bathing suit is black, not sure she wouldn't have noticed! room was far from clean!

    « Cheap Hotel »

My husband and I stayed here as a last minute hotel with our children as we were already in the area.. Yes, the price is cheap but you get what you pay for... The rooms are large but very old and outdated and there is no fridge or microwave in the rooms. I've never been to a hotel in this area that doesn't have a fridge?! I'm sure with such a large, empty room, a mini fridge could be squeezed in... The elevators are horrible- I think we managed to get one elevator during the durarion of our stay. If you don't mind waiting 20 minutes or you prefer to walk up and down the 6 flights of stairs every time, this is the hotel for you. The pool is also absolutely disgusting and the hot tub, if you can believe it, is 10 times worse.. I wouldn't even let my children in it as it was GREEN and there were clumps of hair laying on the ground all around the area. My husband brought this to the attention of the hotel staff, who promptly sent someone to fix the pool/hot tub- he turned the jets on in the hot tub, stared at the pool for about 5 minutes and TA DA-pool and hot tub taken care of. So gross. The man working at the concierge desk is also not very friendly. Vending machine ate up my money so when I went to ask for a refund, he tried to tell me I was wrong and that the machines all have signs on them saying they "don't accept cash, tokens only". There are no signs on the machines, in fact there are signs saying the machines accept "5,10,25" coins and to use "exact change" only. I do not appreciate being hassled and spoken down to, especially when I am paying to stay somewhere. My kids, being kids, we're opening and closing drawers in our room (only 3 drawers work as they've screwed the rest shut) and found someone's left behind lotion.. vomit. It was in the top drawer of the dresser, not very hard to find. What are they paying the cleaning staff for if the maids can't even open 3 DRAWERS to check them for things left behind? !?! And why are all the drawers screwed shut?? Normally when people are traveling they like to have the space to keep their belongings, I do not get this... It's a shame the hotel couldn't address these problems, as they are all small and easy things to fix.. This review would have been much different if it hadn't have been for all of the small inconveniences. We definitely will not be staying here again.

    « Average »

We got a deal on this Hotel so we thought we would try it. The location was good, the check in and check out went smooth and staff was friendly. But we were very disappointed in our room. The website showed beautiful rooms that looked like they were recently updated. Our rooms looked nothing like the picture, it was average at best. Will not stay again.

    3
« Nice place, close to the action »

This is an OK, clean hotel. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area. It's close to the casino and other town attractions. Short walking distance to Falls. Parking is crowded, but cheaper than elsewhere. Lots of steps and tight doorways to maneuver through. No free breakfast at this Best Western and the voucher doesn't cover much.

    5
    « Great stay »

Stayed 4 nights at a very affordable rate. Our room was very clean and huge really...any request we made we received....easy process. They have a card in the room for special requests. Just full it in and the next day we received what we asked for. (Extra hangers and towels ) You will not find marble floors or a fancy fountain but if you are looking for a comfortable clean room in a great location you will find it here. We will stay again for sure!

    2
    « It sucks »

What kind of hotel doesn't have a fridge or microwave? Or no air conditioning in the hallway and no heat in the whirlpool? Even some third world hotels have the basics. Don't come here and make the same mistake

« Noisy with party people but close to the fall »

It was a bit noisy with so many party people on Friday stay. However, the location is great, close to the fall..... Overall, very satisfactory. Parking nearby the fall would be expensive and difficult but this hotel is walking distance to the fall.

    « Awesome Stay »

Me and my boyfriend stayed her for 2 nights while we went to Niagara Falls Comic Con and we had an incredible stay. location couldn't of been better, service was very good and because we checked in early they upgraded us to a beautiful room on the second highest floor with a balcony facing the falls where we could watch the fireworks, and a huge Jacuzzi and the bed was SO comfy for only an extra $30 a night which was totally worth it! our stay there couldn't of been better!! Unfortunately the summer time prices are kind of expensive but in the fall/winter time we will definitely go back!!!!

    1
    « Dirty and cheap »

Rooms are disgusting. There was blood on my blanket! We booked through hotels.com and the pictures that appear on the website are NOT accurate at all. This place is more of a MOTEL rather than a hotel. If you are looking on an inexpensive hotel, you should book at a different place and pay the extra $40/$50 its worth it!

    4
    « Pleasantly Surprised »

I only picked this hotel because we got a great deal thru Groupon that included the room at a steep discount along with vouchers for dinner, breakfast, and other area attractions. The hotel was a lot closer to the falls than I had thought. It was located directly across from Margaritaville and we walked to the falls in less than 5 minutes. They do charge you $18 per night to park, but if you sign up for their rewards card they only charge you $10. I asked for a renovated room and received one on the first floor in the main building. The room was large, clean, and quiet. The a/c was tough to get going, but once we got it to come on it worked fine. We asked for additional pillows and they were delivered within 5 minutes. The beds were very comfy with nice bedding and pillows. There were 2 sinks which made it nice for 4 people to all get ready at the same time, one in the bathroom and one in the changing area. Overall, the hotel was much nicer than expected and I would stay there again if I could get another deal like this one.

    5
« We had a great day away. »

We just decided at the last minute to get away for the day and decided that the falls was a good place to go. We came upon this hotel by accident and enjoyed our stay greatly. We will stay there when we go back.

    « Great location! »

I stay at this hotel frequently but was a little disappointed this time. I asked them to remove the tourist tax as I usually do and with no problems its done. Well now apparently its mandatory at the owners request therefore they would not remove it. So just a heads up you now have to pay this fee to the hotel. I have a call into the GM of this property but have not heard back as of yet. Also was a little disappointed in the condition of the outdoor pool it was pretty dirty with dead bugs and white stuff floating around but we didn't care and still went in to cool off. The area surrounding the pool was great lots of chairs and loungers to relax on.

    « Good DC Location »

    « Will not return »

Hotel needs some remodeling. Elevator was very slow. Carpets had stains everywhere. Hallways looked old. Room rate was fair. But next time, I will budget trip for a little bit nicer hotel. Parking lot a little too small for amount of vehicles at hotel.

    5
    « Our favorite hotel »

This is our favorite place to stay. So close to the falls and just a short walk to all the action. The rooms are always clean. Gets the perks card and save on parking. Ask for a room on the main building of you don't like a lot of steps the smaller building does not have an elevator. The IHOP is not worth it! Cost us $54.00 for breakfast for two.

    3
« ok stay, beware additional 5% tax (T.I.F.) - would not remove it when asked »

On previous stays we have requested that the voluntary destination tax (T.I.F.) be removed from the bill and it was, and without argument. However, this stay we requested the now 5% tax be removed and they refused. We love this location near the falls, attractions, restaurants, casino and on the WEGO bus line. Queen rooms are spacious and we sometimes get a balcony. Housekeeping staff are great. The package deals are good. Just beware the extra charges if you chose to stay here. Some hotels in the area do not charge the tax. Some do. Some do but will remove it if asked. Check before booking and recheck when you get the bill on check-out.

    3
    « Great room »

So this is honesty at its best. The room itself is very clean, washrooms are good and there's a second sink which is handy. But the hallways are not very nice, nor super clean and overall the hotel is a little under par. The location is great but don't expect fancy. Hope this helps, cheers

    « What a let down! »

I decided to surprise my husband for our 17th anniversary. I booked a one -night stay at the best western fallsview hotel through a discount travel site. When I followed up with the hotel for the booking, they told me there were no rooms available at the discount rate. If you ask me, a happy customer is the most important component in the hospitality business - they should have taken it up with the discount booker later. Instead, they refused to accommodate me and my spouse and told me to get my money back from the agent! I will never stay at this hotel - why would they do business with discounters if they don't agree with the policies? Why not offer an adequate number if rooms at the advertised deal? Disappointed, J

« Great Hotel for a Reasonable Niagara Getaway »

Check in was prompt. We had made some special room requests and received all of them. The receptionist who checked us in was very friendly, polite and answered all of our questions with a smile on her face. Spacious room; quiet-on the 6th floor. No fridge, but we managed w/coolers. Received a voucher for IHOP-but we didn't use it as we felt the restaurant was very pricey.

« Great Location. Value for money »

Very good experience. Like the location and amenities - overall value for money. Fridge in the room without extra charge will really help. This is my third stay in the hotel. CAD $ 10 parking for rewards card holder was nice.

    « Good Stay »

We stayed here for an overnight get away. The rooms were basic and clean. You will not find a fridge, but can rent one at the front desk. The balcony was nice to sit on in the evening. I did ask for a sunset room, but did not get put in one. So our view was the parking lot facing Tim Hortons. I didnt complain as we weren't in it much. The elevators were slow, but once we figured out there were elevators on each end and in the middle of the floors, the problem was resolved. no waiting as everyone used the middle ones. The hallway was dingy, but the room was bright and spacious. It is located across the street from Margarittaville, easy walk to the falls. The only thing i did not really like is that this Bestwestern is more like a complex than a hotel, There are 3 areas , the lobby with the arcade and restaurants and pool, a middle section and another section with indoor pool and mini mart. It could become confusing or a pain if you were travelling with little ones. The parking is $18/day ,We were only staying overnight so we parked at the Fallsview casino and carried our luggage. We would stay here again if it was for a 1 night getaway. If all you want is a basic affordable place to stay when you are at the falls this would be a good choice.

    « Decent basic property. »

This is a good but basic hotel. Rooms clean. Staff friendly. Building definitely showing it's age. If you're looking for a room to crash in after seeing the sights and doing the casino this is fine. Would recommend. It's a good option to the pricier towers. There are 2 connected low-rise buildings. One has a raised 1st level with balconies and the other has patios on the first level. The patio doors, for the rooms with patios, open directly into the parking lot. I wasn't thrilled with this, as the cars were a bit too close for my comfort level. I would highly recommend avoiding the first level rooms with the patios. Hotel gave a discount for the onsite IHOP. We ate there but wouldn't recommend. Even with the discount it was expensive and not that great, besides there's a Tim's next door.

    3
« You get what you pay for »

Restaurant is VERY over priced. Cleaning needs attention to detail. Check in was long. When they state a room with a view, they do not indicate a view of what! Do not expect to see the Falls. Room was comfortable and quiet. Internet was very good. Not enough working elevators.

« Need to take customer service training »

My husband and I booked here for 2 nights. We decided to stay a third night, the staff wanted to move our room because apparently we didn't book the same room type. While talking to the staff I came to the realization that these people should not be in the hospitality industry. Cathy at the front desk was the only friendly person there. The rooms are nice the hotel is older but its up kept good. You have to pay $10 per night for parking even though you're paying for you room rental. Fridges are an extra cost if you want one, microwaves too. The old cots they use they charge $30 for are you kidding me? I'm a Best Western person, but this one really left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't appreciate being treated badly or talked down to. So we will never be staying at this one again. The only real plus side is its right close to the strip.

    4
« Nice place to stay »

Best Western Fallsview was an ok place. staff was friendly and helpful. on site restaurant an Ihop. Hotel gave discount for eating there 15.00 off Cad. Room was clean , everything worked. Hotel was close to everything , some thing were a bit of a walk. say the Hornblower mist boat . some may need to take a Taxi to get there. only thing i didn't like was paying 20.00 for parking, should be less or free.

    3
« Clumsy layout but overall better than expected! »

This hotel's layout is a bit labyrinthe. The way the rooms and laid out, with mini balconies, and the fact that there are two semi-interconnected towers, with their dim corridors and random parking slots, make this hotel reminiscent of a cross between a motel, a hotel, and a spruced-up British tower block housing project. It's...odd, and a bit unpleasant. BUT! The rooms have been decently upgraded. Our room particularly, which is admittedly probably not a standard room (I booked for 4 adults though only 3 of us went), is MASSIVE. Lots of space for all 3 of us to do line dancing, I kid you not. And I love the fact that the room had two sinks. Very practical! Also, the staff are consistently wonderful. Upbeat, polite, friendly, and always helpful. Even the cleaning staff joked around with us in the elevators, I really liked this. We paid much more than for a regular room, probably because of the time of year, and our large party size, so I can't really comment re: value for money. However if you can find this place for under $90 CAD then I say go for it. A quick 5 minute walk to the Fallsview casino area, which is pleasant. Parking, though, is the usual Niagara Falls shameless cash grab of $20. Final highlight? The pillows were fantastic. And this is coming from someone who has chronic neck problems when sleeping. Seriously, I have the world's whiniest, worst neck, and I slept great. For that, I'll always be thankful.

    « Wasn't horrible but wasn't great »

The staff was great and friendly... The hotel is in a great spot near the falls. The rooms were spacious but they so outdated, the hallways are dirty and dim. Needs major updating and remodeling....MAJOR! Like they say you get what you pay for

« Our Favorite Place to Stay in the Falls! »

this hotel just keeps getting better from the first time we stayed here! they have totally started renovating the rooms and they look fantastic! we stay here usually once a year this year we came a day before our friends to have a quiet dinner and spend some money. Upon check in Cathy at the front desk was extremely helpful, and had all the answers we were looking for. she went above and beyond in making our stay an enjoyable one! Thank you Cathy! Keep up the great work Best Western Fallsview it hasn't gone unnoticed from one of your regular customers! We will be back and we are already looking forward to it!

« Beware, they charge you the 3% tourist tax »

We stayed at the Best Western on June 7 and 8/16. Beware, they charge you the 3% tourist tax which is a rip off. If I would of know this I would of never booked with them. Also they charge over $18.00 a night for parking. Our room, #120 was outdated, clean but very musty smelling. This hotel is only a short walk to the falls down a very steep hill so if your fit then it is a nice walk. We have stayed at a lot of Best Western's and I would never stay at this one again.

    3
« Rating between poor and average »

In general I will give this Best Western a so, so average to poor okay. We stayed at the hotel for it's location to the casino and they had a casino and dining package and the casino is kitty corner to the hotel. Upon check-in, the clerk would not credit me with the ripoff tourist fee which was and should be voluntary because it is a fee collected by the hotel, not the government, and is not a tax. To me it was just a way to increase the room rate 5 percent and then the sales tax on top of that. There is a charge to park your car yourself in the crowded parking lot. I chose to park in the casino across the street for free. No complimentary full breakfast like other Best Westerns. There is an IHOP connected and the credit from the hotel of ten dollars doesn't go very far as the prices are from ridiculous to a ripoff. Hallway housekeeping was disappointing and substandard. And I'm not talking about the stains on the carpet. I'm talking about stuff that can be vacuumed and it stunk in some areas. There was no fridge in the room but it could be gotten at plus cost of twenty additional dollars. The A/C unit could use a good cleaning and was not set by housekeeping to be on cool. Called the desk and they gave me instruction to open a panel on the unit but I couldn't locate it. Fortunately there was a maintenance man coming down the hall and he turned the unit on. Speaking of maintenance, the hair drier didn't work. It was plugged into a receptacle that was controlled by a GFI in the next room. Maintenance call; GFI reset. Wife started to dry her hair and it shorted out with sparks in her hand right by her head. I guess that's why the GFI was tripped. Maintenance call; Inspected shorted dyer and left to get a new one and returned to install it. Wife's starting to get ticked at me for booking the room. TV was rather conservative in size and we couldn't locate a TV channel listing. (not a big deal, but...) The rooms have balconies with two outside chairs which are nice but the outside handle of the sliding door to patio area was covered with webs and dead insects. The casino/dinning deal rooms are on the ?sunset side? (Stanley Ave) of the building and that's all your going to see if its not cloudy. Plus side: We got a good sleep (bring ear plugs for the street and hallway noise), and it is in a good location. Staff was nice, especially the head maintenance man who was super. Newer tube enclosure was nice as well. Beds and pillows were fine and the room itself was clean. A/C sound was reasonable. Good location to the casino and some restaurants and entertainment and the walk to the falls. It's all up hill from the falls so your not up to it you might want to jump on a bus. Would I stay again? Maybe. I would need a good reason or deal to do so. As a Best Western Rewards member who traveled for business, I don't feel its not up to par with other Best Westerns I've stayed at. It's an older property and a bit run down and if you want to stay someplace nicer there are plenty of options at some very additional cost.

    « Weekday fun »

After MUCH research, we were very happy we chose this hotel! The location is great, just a short walk down Murray street to the falls. The room was SPOTLESS. this one was CLEAN The room was spacious, much larger than some Marriott The room had TWO sinks, a great benefit with kids when getting ready. The shower was spotless, as was everything. Even the hallway and entrance-way were spotless. The balcony - fabulous! A TRUE balcony, you can actually SIT on it. The comfort inn falls-view has balconies, but they are NOT private (no side walls) and there are NO chairs on them! Whats the point of having a balcony? The cascade inn is similar; not privacy and like the comfort inn, they just kind of hang there with no chairs. The holiday inn has balconies but it is NOT part of the holiday inn chain (had been years ago apparently but is now severed from the chain). Anyway, the Best Western Falls view has lovely, private balconies that are private, with sides/dividers. We've stayed in many places at the Falls over the years - both good, too) but this is likely where we're return the next time we visit. Make sure you get the $30 gift card which h makes it a very affordable trip

« Think twice before staying here. »

I would not choose this Best Western hotel again. It needs to be updated it is old and dingy. There are many other choices to stay at and would not recommend this hotel. The main reason we chose was the location which was good.

« Great Location and very comfortable »

My friend and I chose the "Casino Package" for a 2-night stay which gave us two $25 casino vouchers, two $15 IHop vouchers (which was located right at the hotel), and two $20 off vouchers for some other bigger restaurants nearby. We used every single one of them. It was a FANTASTIC deal! Since we had Fallsview casino cards, we opted to park in the casino (which was just a block away). We earned free parking from playing, so our parking was free for the entire stay. Worth the one-block walk. The rooms were VERY clean, very spacious, and very comfortable. It was close to all of the attractions, and for the price compared to some of the other hotels just 1-2 blocks away, it was a very fair price. The hotel staff was friendly for us, and he answered a lot of my questions upon check in. All in all, there wasn't a single problem we faced. I may have thought the price was a bit high for the weekend had it not been for the deals we got with the Casino Package, which really made it worthwhile. This is definitely the place I will be going again for a future visit!

    « Fallsview Best Western »

This hotel is a good value for its location to the falls and other area attractions, everything is withing walking distance. There is also a couple WEGO stops nearby which is much better. The only downside to this hotel is that there are no mini refrigerator in the rooms.

    « Visit to Niagara »

Staff very helpful, rooms clean, was able to walk where I wanted to visit. The building is a bit tired but everything was clean and satisfactory. Did not use ther restaurant but loved the pool. Overall, great price and quality.

    5
    « Excellent place. »

We would definitely stay here again! The room was very spacious (2 queen size beds). The only thing missing was a fridge. Found out at checkout that one could be rented for $10/night. The IHOP coupons were an added bonus for the onsite restaurant!

    3
« Good room, ok hotel »

Stayed there for a bachelor and bachelorette party. Rooms were big and clean, and looked fairly recently renovated. We were in the 6 storey building apparently the shorter building has much smaller rooms. The price was ridiculously high for a 2 queen bed room. Which is par for the course Saturday night in June. There also was not a fridge in either of our rooms. Also the hallways were in desperate need of a good vacuuming. Be prepared to pay the Niagara Falls tourist tax too, you are charged this everywhere.

    2
« Wish we had stayed somewhere else. »

I guess you get what you pay for. We booked a Groupon deal for $87 US a night and that included the couples package. The package included 2 wine tour vouchers, $20 Keg steakhouse voucher, $25 casino voucher and $10 Ihop. We booked a deluxe King room. The layout of the room was very poor. It was a huge room and if you had a family and needed space for extra cots, it would work. The room has a huge jacuzzi bath tub which was open to the room with a corridor behind it with a toilet, shower and sink. If you need the toilet in the night, all the bathroom lights come on in the bed room. The shower was a very cheap quality with a bouncy base which felt uncomfortable. The bed was comfortable with decent cotton sheets but an awful nylon feel quilt cover and the pillows where the tiny and lumpy. There are no refrigerators in the room but you could pay extra for one. The Internet is free and worked well. They charge $18 per day for parking, on a large outdoor lot but asBW rewards members we got a discount to $10. They have an I hop restaurant on site and give a $10 voucher. We tried it for breakfast. The service was good, the food was ok but they have really bumped up the prices, charging $17 for a 2 egg breakfast which included 1/2 round of toast and the smallest piece of bacon I have ever seen. Whilst we were there a number of people came in, sat down and read the menu, then left. The hotel did not have a fitness room. It had an indoor and outdoor pool which we did not use. The check in area is modern and nice and I wish they had put a bit of money into the rooms instead.

    3
    « Best Western »

the hotel is clean however the pool area could be better as the water does not look clean and another hot tub should be added I like the fact that they have an outside pool which is great in the summer time the area is good as everything is close

    4
« Good Value, Clean and Comfortable »

Decor is a little dated but the rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the hotel is well located. Fallsview Casino is across the street. Many restaurants are close by. We have stayed here several times. One of the features that is kind of nice are the balconies. Nice to sit out on a warm night especially if you are fortunate enough to get the a room with a view of the falls.

    4
« Decent for the price, nobody bugging you.. good experience »

Decent for the price, nobody bugging you, we are not very demanding so this was great for us.. overall good experience. would stay here again. Beware of Copacabana 4 draft beers cost us 33.29 in US did not give us the exchange rate. everything is pricey but they were outrageous.

    « Large rooms »

We got this through Groupon so it came with some extra coupons and things. The hotel was pretty average but the room was larger than we expected. Not much of a view, but we didn't care about having a view. Our room was right next to the ice machine and it was really loud when people were using it. Luckily not many people did use it while we were there so it wasn't too bad. There is a weird extra sink which amused us. The elevators are super slow. There is a Wego bus stop right outside the hotel and there is a mini mart attached to the hotel. Very convenient location since the bus is right there but it is also ~10 minute walk to the falls. Parking is $18 which is unfortunate but what are you gonna do?

    4
    « Excellent customer service! »

Very close to the falls & entertainment district. All within walking distance. Staff is the best!! The young women (Stacey?) that checked us in was helpful, kind & a true professional in all ways! I would recommend this hotel & will return again.

    3
    « Overpriced. »

Two things; Niagara Falls is very expensive and overpriced, and on top of that many businesses add a Niagara Falls Development Fee. This fee some say is optional but in our case today we had to pay it at this hotel. The hotel in s centrally located but looks its age. It is currently undergoing repairs. It has one elevator for 6 stories. It has indoor and outdoor pools. Parking fees at this hotel are $20.00 per night plus the development fee. A visit to the Falls is a bucket list item but you will pay an arm and a leg to see it!

    3
    « The Good, The Bad and The T. I. F. »

First the good; the room was large and the beds were good and the balcony is a big bonus if you smoke! The bad was the smell on the ground floor of the main tower(6 floors)! Smelled like the garbage dump! The vouchers are a joke! $70 off Ruth Chris doesn't even cover the extra price above normal! So many better restaurants; like Sandstone or AG. IHOP is over priced dog food! Almost $18 for eggs and bacon! The TV was rather small especially from the beds. Oh $18 Parking Fee! Now the T. I. F. is 5% and Best Western is the first hotel that does not remove it from your bill when requested! All restaurants and now most of hotels will remove this fee when asked to do so!!! It is a voluntary tourism fee! Still for the $$$, not bad.

    5
« Great Location, Large Rooms »

Found that the hotel were very staff friendly and knowledgeable, location was great - walking distance to the falls, room was large. Defiantly would recommend this hotel for future travelers. Big plus, the bed was extremely comfortable!

« "GREAT PLACE TO STAY" »

My family and I just came back from Niagara Falls for the long weekend, we stayed at this hotel..I must say that we had a great time, the rooms was very clean, the staff was amazing, my son who is 10 years old loved the amenities..we were walking distance to all the amazing attractions...I will definitely stay at this hotel again. My family and I had a very fun time...

« A great stay at the Best Western Fallsview in Niagara Falls. »

A great stay at the Best Western Fallsview in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. About 1 block from the water falls. Close to everything. I would stay here again, and I highly recommend the hotel to others. Also the staff were very good.

    « Can't complain »

I took my mom and sister here and was very pleased with the easy and quick check-in (Jaymes at front desk was wonderful), as well as the clean rooms with a balcony. The location was ideal as it was near to everywhere we planned to go, and the Tim Hortons right across the street was an added bonus. The WiFi was consistent and although the look of the hot-tub is a bit unappealing, it was still really great to relax in. Avoid the iHop at all costs. Would stay here again!

    2
    « Poor Choice »

Do not stay here if you own a motorcycle. Charged me $20 to park my bike in one of their tiny motorcycle spots. Cost for a car? $18 plus tax. Not bike friendly. The hallways stink and my bed looks like someone was laying on it. A/C is loud and there are burns in the carpeting even though it is a non-smoking room. There are much better options with free parking. My fault for not checking before.

    5
« Don't be detered by the reno! »

Our young family of 4 spent a week at Fallsview. The hotel is in the middle of a reno, but it was quiet and clean. Our updated room was HUGE! The staff was very friendly from our encounters at front desk all the way too our hallway meetings with the maintenance crew. We will be coming back for sure, you can't beat the cleanliness and location for the price :)

    « Pkg. Deal »

Very good deal-clean and close to falls & restaurants good choice of discounts for eating and activities-casino closeby-walking distance-I-Hop and Outback were good places to eat at. Enjoyed our little getaway.

    « Coupon visit »

We had a room that faced the river but could not see the falls, not a big deal. We had coupons for staying there including $70 at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, $ 20 at TGIF, 2 tickets for a movie at IMAX, 2 passes for the Chocolate Factory tour and the hotel for $79. The room was large, two large beds, two Queens I'd say but the whole feel of the place was a bit dated. Not enough to keep us away from staying there again. I forgot there was an adjacent restaurant to the hotel that we had a $10 coupon for but the prices were large and we didn't use it.

    3
« Budget Falls hotel in central location »

We stayed here due to a coupon offer with discounts at several restaurants. The room rate was budget rate but no one mentioned the current 3 year construction project to upgrade this facility. The room was large and sparsely furnished. No fridge or microwave but included basic coffeemaker. Bed was hard with budget type bedding and towels. Sunset view room faces Main Street but room was quiet. Got immediate service when we called about problem with hairdryer. Generally clean with great wi-Fi service. Good value for money if okay with just the basics. Walking distance to everything. 10 min walk to falls, 2 min walk to casino. Many restaurants close by. Save big on parking by parking across the street at casino Niagara for $5.

« DO NOT STAY HERE BEST WESTERN FALLSVIEW »

Only Good Thing IS the Location It Looks Like a Seedy Place From Outside Wait until you slink inside....Skip ALL the Horror Attractions in area (Niagara Falls)! Please go Inside the motel room (not really a hotel barely says Motor Inn)....You will be grossed out & horrified & terrified at the same time! This shady place is both unsafe & unsecure (No working locks on doors and sliding doors on main facing busy parking lot do not work!!!) The maids are no where to be seen & they offer no soap or other toiletries! Pool is filthy....showers and beds are really inferior....drippy taps no bar fridge cramped & dirty furniture. Bring loads of soap & hand sanitizer! The staff is both rude, belligerent & callous in nature.I am demanding a refund and a full apology! The extra taxes they sneak in are okay except one called TIF. (A beautification / marketing tax for region! B.S.!) They charge 20.00 parking in a seedy lot no security for your new rental car Hint sleep in your car safer!. Your vehicle is also at risk for Vandalism. Breakfast was both gross, expensive & disgusting. (Undercover as IHOP) I was sick all the way back to our beautiful resort in Collingwood! To surmise ....a real Tourist Trap in a motel (like Bates') which is Filthy with a capital letter "F" & way under Par I give it a minus 10 to the 3rd power! My spouse is still vomiting at the thought of spending the night Beware Do Not stay here!

    4
« Huge room! Great location! »

My sister and I stayed at this hotel on May 4th enroute to Washington, DC and again on May 7th on our return trip. Both times the rooms were huge! The biggest I think I've ever seen. All rooms come with balconies and in-room coffee facilities but no breakfast, fridge or microwave. Steps away from restaurants and the Fallsview Casino. Ten minute walk to falls. The pool and hottub could do with better maintenance as the water in both was not a clean as I would have liked. First night - very strong smell of weed in the hallway of our floor (maybe this is a sign of the times?). Mentioned it to the front desk and they immediatly sent someone up to spray. The smell was gone by the time we returned later that night. Second night: air conditioning unit was broken. Couldn't even get the fan to work. Parking is $18 per night. $10 is you're a preferred BW member.

    4
    « Ideal location »

This is a typical hotel in the heart of it all. It is located near the casino and is maybe a mile walk from the falls, and a mile walk from the other casino. Surrounded by places to eat and other activities, this hotel is the ideal location of you do not mind traffic noise, and noise of those walking along the street. This is my second time staying here, and will stay here again for sure.

    2
« What does this mean? »

See previous comments. The hallway was bare cement and very dirty. Our room was unfinished and lacking necessities. The coffee was terrible quality in the room. There were many things lacking in the unfinished bathroom. We were not advised ahead of time that we would be put in a room that was still under renovation and incomplete. When I expressed our disappointment upon checking out the staff person did not acknowledge my comment or try to give me any explanation. I was there with my son and wife who were visiting from Thailand and it was a huge disappointment to be put into a basement room, the price was not fare. I am partially disabled at the moment and did not feel safe in the shower as there was no hand bar or anything to prevent slippage in the tub. I had to bend over to get the soap off the bottom of the bathtub, there was no soap dish or anything to place soap on.

    3
« Great location- bare bones rooms »

The location is great!!! 2 blocks from the falls. The rooms are pretty basic 80's style old furniture carpet and all. clean but dated. Good for a cheap place to crash as we did for one night close to falls cheap compared to rest around . parking is $17 cad for a night

    3
    « Dated rooms »

Reasonable priced hotel 2 double beds so plenty of room dated hotel but adequate rather unfortunate odour in the room sort of an old smell had to go and purchase air freshener from shop below no breakfast ihop nearby but expensive and poor quality food in my opinion could not eat breakfast sub standard sorry I hop but ecpxcellent location for falls so that compensated for everything else

    3
    « one night stay »

We decided to come to the falls for a day or two to enjoy the nice weather. We picked this hotel because its close to the casino and the falls plus we had a 100 dollar gift card. The hotel is really getting old. The staff were very friendly but that's about it.They are doing construction on the one part so will have to wait and see if it improves. Doubt we will stay there again.

« Good from outside, poor inside »

Out of all my stays in Niagara Falls within the last couple of years, the one at Best Western was the poorest in terns of comfort and place amenities. (The other ones -similar in price but much better quality wise - were Four Points and Ramada.) Facilities are way dated. The bathroom and room amenities are subpar. I would definitely not to recommend this property to family or friends.

    1
« Avoid: not up to Best Western standards »

Dirty, dirty, dirty and smelly, smelly, smelly. The 3rd floor hallway is dirtier than anything I've seen outside of India. We didn't have change for a tip the first morning, thought we'd leave double the next morning but we came back to find air freshener sprayed heavily everywhere and the heat set to 30 Celsius. If we hadn't prepaid a non refundable stay we would have left. On the bright side the front desk staff are wonderful and Ihop is nice.

    3
« You get what you pay for........ »

When we arrived, staff didn't tell or show us where to go, which was across the Carpark. When we got to the door, the automatic security didn't work, but was fixed quickly. Access through the mini mart next door!! No fridge This place is tired and dated. Staff at front desk, sloppy and unprofessionally attired. A fee of $30 for late checkout, Hilton Hotel did it for nothing.....for the whole day.

    2
    « Quality of Stay »

Comparing my other Best Western stay, so far this particular one(Niagara) was the poorest, quality wise. The toilet was plugged, had to call maintenance twice and even went to front desk in order to get service. Facilities are out of date, in the '80's. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, heating system are out date and the hair dryer is not working. I'll be embarrassed to recommend this hotel to friends.

    3
    « Girls Night Away!! »

The hotel's location is great, it's across the street from the Fallsview Casino. The rooms are very big and spacious, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is clean, and they also have coffee? It is going through some renovations which will be good! They also have the I Hop Restaurant on the premises. We have stayed at this hotel a few times. We have usually been facing the Falls side, which is nice you can sit out on the balcony and watch the people around, and it's quiet at that side. But the City View is very noisy especially on a Friday Night, and Saturday Morning. They have a security guard for the parking, and also one inside the hotel so they at least watch and make sure your staying at that hotel. The staff were all very friendly. So would return to this hotel, the price is always good, and location great!

    3
    « unacceptable charges »

We booked our trip using Trivago for first time. The price was good but we noticed charges for parking and destination, but we thought they wouldn't apply and we would we would discuss on arrival. The manger was very polite but said it is the policy of the owner to charge. He did suggest if we joined Best Western Rewards they would only charge $10.00 a night for parking and not $20.00 Destination charge we could not negotiate. I pointed out the Niagara Council said this charge is voluntary same applies for the city Toronto. The destination charge is a rip off but he said this is their policy. The same goes for parking, but right across the road you can park all day for $5.00. Best Western offer no security, but just take your money. The Hotel was okay, but nothing to write home about, and all of this spoiled an otherwise nice little get away. Your can do a lot better in Niagara and we wouldn't recommend this place and we won't be going back. P.S. the manager (owner) direct but never received a reply.

« Value for the money »

It was a last minute decision to take my Mom to Niagara Falls for her birthday and I have always enjoyed staying at the Best Western chain. In Niagara Falls I love the location of this hotel and the price makes it that much better. They are in the middle of renovations (which are needed) but what they have done so far is great!

    4
    « Good for value! »

The hotel was clean! Staff were very friendly, and there's a balcony! It's very close to the falls and Clifton hill (15 minute walk). Parking is 20 at the hotel but it's $5 parking across the street or free parking at falls view casino (which was literally two mins away) if you're a PAC member. It is a good place to stay with family or friends or couples. The hotel is currently renovating but if you're lucky the staff will put you in the renovated rooms!

    5
    « Happy birthday »

We really enjoy our stay at this hotel my kids have fun. It is great location the staff if friendly and very helpful. Enjoyed my little one 6 years old birthday. I will stay again at this hotel and will recommend to my family and friends

    « Such good deals! »

Great service, in the middle of everything and has a 24-7 Ihop and a convience store attached! Great place to stay and I have stayed +4 times. A 10$ cab ride to clifton hill but right in the middle of everything on fallsview, so it is better for an adult stay, couples or with friends. For young people it is probably the best place to stay because it is not too fancy, has balconies and is totally affordable and right across from two clubs.

« Nice Hotel, Friendly Staff, Convenient Location »

This is a basic hotel, we caught it on a Groupon deal and it was a great deal. The housekeeping staff as well as the front desk staff were very courteous and friendly. Not a fancy big time hotel but if you are looking for somewhere with clean rooms and friendly staff this is a very nice economical option. There is an arcade and an IHOP on the property, as well as, a mini mart so it is definitely convenient. It is walking distance to the falls, Starbucks, across the street from Margaritaville.

    2
    « Not Impressed »

Stayed here for two nights, it was ok for the price, but we would not stay here again. We were pleased that it had free wifi, it was within walking distance to the attractions we were interested in, and we liked that they had an indoor, heated pool and hot tub. Although the hotel said they were under renovations, the floors in the hallway were disgusting, our shower didn't drain well (I was standing in a foot of water by the end of my shower), there were ants in our room and at the pool, our door to our room did not latch on its own - it had to be pushed/pulled to shut (and it was not latched when we arrived!), and the room was loud (we could hear the water run every time anyone near us used water and every move that our neighbor made!). Another thing we noticed is that our cleaning lady seemed to be VERY sick - which was not cool since my wife is 8 months pregnant and we had a toddler with us. Overall, we were not impressed.

Room was a nice size check it was ok check out fast charge for mini fridge walls paper thin some person running through hall at 1 am be nice pillows need to be bigger IHOP price cost high hotel is located good area close to the falls and close to Clifton hill

    « Never stay here »

This place is a dump. People partying in the hallways all day and night. Smoking pot in the rooms and the parking lot. Not safe for women travelling alone !!! This is like a hotel at the beach at Spring Break. It was disgusting to say the least.

    3
« Walking distance to the falls! »

The hotel is in a good location if you want to be close to the falls, although they cannot be seen from the actual hotel itself. Close to a few good eating places as well. The rooms are comfortable and mostly clean, we were on the bottom floor of the building and at night we felt quite unsafe as the door onto the patio opened onto the road outside, which is one of the main streets and had a fair bit of noise from traffic. The hotel was under a fair bit of construction while we were staying there but it didn't bother us. The girl who checked us in was training but was lovely, however after that we found most of the staff to be quite rude.

« niagara falls tax rip off and paid parking »

room needed a lot more cleaning ,shower good ,beds comfortable ,but the tax and the fee for parking is outrageous so even when u get a deal on the room ,not only that u have to pay the Niagara tax (rip off in my opinion),but u pay for parking ,the coupons u get cannot redeem at their own value if u do not get the dinner entrees they only give u a portion of them ,arcade u still have to pay a fee per person ...so by the time u are done and u think u got a deal ....well think again .

« Niagara nice falls tourist trap. »

The falls are still nice. Big horn boat ride is worth it. The food prices are outrageous for the commercial restaurants. Don't be fooled by food vouchers. Go to Tim Hortons or McDonald's. Or better yet take a 20 min trip to Niagara-on-the-lake for a nice meal. Don't waste your dollars on American owned IHOP, TGIF, Outback, Keg etc.

« Good Value For the Money »

The hotel is under minor renovations. Rooms are large and clean. Front Desk Staff are helpful and friendly.Casino and several restaurants are close by.Grand Buffet in Fallsview Casino is good food and a good value. IHOP in Best Western is very expensive tho the hotel usually gives patrons a coupon that helps. There is a large Arcade for the kids within the hotel as well as a mini mart/ gift store. The Timmy,s directly behind the hotel is handy and just a 2 minute walk. Approximately a 10 minute walk to Clifton Hill for a the family activities available in Niagara Falls. Except Marineland which is a 10 minute drive the other way. This Hotels rates during the week are comparable to Motels in Lundy,s Lane only nicer and closer to the Falls and Clifton Hill. If you have a P.A.C.Card for gaming you can Park in Casino parking lot for free. Overall a very good value

    « GIRLS NIGHT OUT »

Have stayed at this hotel before. Great location, clean rooms, ok price. The aggravation here was the infamous tourism tax of 5%. This is just a money grab for the hotel and has nothing to do with fireworks or gardening for Niagara Falls. I asked for it to be removed and they would not.

    4
« Large sized rooms, perfect location »

Cannot go wrong with the location of this hotel. Less than a 5 minute walk to the casino and very close to the falls. Room was quite large with a beautiful tub. Only request would be a larger shower & to have hair conditioner & lotion offered for the females users ! Loved our stay and definitely will be coming back.

    « Visiting Niagara »

Hotel is a bit old (elevator very slow) but rooms are big and clean! Good quality/price! Also, very god location, about 5-7 mins walk to the falls and most attractions around! Parking is expensive, but you can find parking across the street for much cheaper.

« Poor value for the money, noisy, run down »

I paid almost $600 for a room for 2 nights for one adult and one 13 year old child -- a shocking price for what we received: a room that definitely did not have a view of the Falls as implied. The hotel is very run down and has paper thin walls so that we could hear at 2:30 am(!) the group of people next store partying loudly, discussing what they would and wouldnt do if they were drunk -- awesome! To top it all, the halls in the hotel smell terrible, the carpeting is stained and the overall impression is that you dont want to touch anything. I definitely would never stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone. Very poor value for the money. This stay has definitely affected my view of Best Western as a brand and I will be avoiding staying at any other Best Westerns in future unless there is no other place to stay.

    « ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! »

I made a reservation for 2 rooms for the Niagara Falls Canada location through Expedia. I have been having issues major issues with oral surgery I had done. I called Expedia to explain the situation and said I needed to cancel or change my reservation. This was an emergency! I was in a lot of pain . Expedia called the hotel and I was told as long as I rebooked for another date I would have no fees. Therefore, I did just that and planned to return in June. I saved up for this trip and do not have the money to spare to pay for two times. Even though I was promised no fees I was charged nearly $200. I let Expedia know and they contacted the hotel who said they would not refund me. I have therefore canceled my rooms for June because there is no way that I would ever stay in a hotel when money comes before a person's health and well-being. I Spoke to the manager named Patricia who informed me that I could fight these fees and tell everyone I know how rude she was but that nothing would be done. I have never been treated so horribly in my life from a hotel. Beware of this HOTEL... beware of the manager Patricia. There are FAR BETTER hotels nearby who CARE about their customers. This has been a nightmare!

« Noisy-- only visit for a special deal »

I was definitely disappointed in this location. I dropped in without a reservation (best prices best rooms advertised). I said we did not want the old section cause of the noise from last time we stayed there and the rooms smelled a bit. We were told we were getting put in their newly remodeled rooms which sounded nice since I was being charged their top rate. Pros: Nice large room and good sized bathroom. Clean and all new furniture. Pool. Mattress was comfortable. Cons: no double curtains. We were on the first floor and some of the hotel guests sued it as a smoking area outside. Either keep the curtains open and have everyone look in the glass doors or close the heavy curtains and use only the room light-- 24 hours a day! Very small TV for the distance to the bed and the room size. (and channels don't match their menu at all!) No towel racks, no refrig (costs $30 extra), 1 chair outside and its small and medal. Inside chairs are not comfortable for really sitting it. Parking is additional cost if you buy a package. And the hotel is very noisy. Even on the remodeled floor people woke me us at 4AM from the hallway and we could hear people outside our patio door smoking a few times during the night. There were no blanks-- sheet and one of the older bedspreads. Hairs still in the floor drain in the bathroom. I looked but found nothing on the express checkout so I had to go directly to the desk. We feel we were taken- we paid highest rate (less 10% AARP) and were given a room without towel bars, very noisy (we asked for very quiet area) & laundry bag still in the room. Room size was very nice and we were told the room and just been remodeled. We were not told there would not be towel bars, no carpeting in the hallway, etc. If I had a special on the room I think my rating would have been different. I have stayed here in the past and was told they had remodeled so we thought we would take another chance. I hate leaving a place feeling I was robbed but I Left here with that feeling. Let me reiterate that the staff was pleasant, but the hotel is still noisy and the value just is not there.

Will stay again. Very busy weekend in the Falls. We lost our parking spot near the entrance to the hotel. On return, we had to park at the lot next door. Overall, great Hotel. I would recommend this hotel.

    « Reasonably Priced »

This is close to Clifton Hill and very reasonably priced. The iHop that is attached is rather pricey but there are many other restaurants within walking distance. It is also only a couple of blocks from the falls.

    3
    « Sports fans beware »

This hotel does not have any Sportsnet channels.I missed the Blue Jays opening game. Without Sportsnet you'll miss all Blue Jays games and most hockey playoffs. The limited channels they do get are so dark you can barely see. They are aware of the problem for quite a while but have done nothing about it.

« NOT AS GOOD AS IT SHOULD BE »

Staff : Good Room: Average Decor: Dark IHOP: Avoid this place at all costsI VERY EXPENSIVE for below average food. Breakfast for 2 $56.00CDN. Located across from the Fallsview Casino and within a short distance from the falls

    « Don't believe the website photos »

I'm just going to give you the pros and cons of this hotel. Pros - Walking distance to the falls. Friendly staff Cons - Everything else. The rooms were old, carpet was filthy, internet kept dropping, arcade games broken, and the restaurant was expensive.

    « Fun vacation »

Staying at the Best Western was an excellent idea. It was in walking distance to the Falls, and so many different choices for dining out. Safe location, clean rooms, good price. It was accessible to the entertainment locations and they had information about the attractions. They gave us coupons for discounts at different restaurants, that were exciting to try out. Their pool was accessible and clean.

« Mediocre but clean with friendly staff....Dan Jennings provided an upgrade at no cost »

This is a large well used facility that requires constant renovations due to the sheer volume of usage. The room we had although huge with a Jacuzzi in the centre looks and feels old. What is overlooked is the travellers need to recharge cameras, cell phones etc and there is a shortage of outlets with none on the desks. We had a toilet issue but the hotel resolved that for us. The one thing travellers need to know is the additional taxes such as the TIF and NFDS can be WAIVED. These are local improvement taxes which are NOT mandatory. Ask that these taxes be removed at all your hotel and restaurant stops. Do not eat at the attached IHOP restaurant unless you take out a second mortgage. It is outrageously overpriced.

    3
    « BW Niagara Falls »

Guest rooms were very "tired", understand the hotel is undergoing renovations so hopefully this will be addressed. Bed was too soft and very uncomfortable. Location of the hotel was very convenient and a short walk to tourist sites. Only 1 person at the Check-in counter on day of arrival and same thing on date of departure. No one came out to assist other guests waiting in line.

    « so so »

this hotel has a good location ,needs upgrading, older style not to appealing to the eyes, but they are working on it, nice staff helpful , good price, if you are looking for luxury , this is not the place for you, but if you just need a place to sleep it is good.

    3
    « Bed Good......Walls thin »

The people at the front desk and cleaning staff were excellent. The bed and room were comfy and clean. The walls were thin and there was a lot of partying !!! If you want to sleep soundly may not be the best spot..... other than that don't eat at I hop !!!!

« Clean and convenient place »

We stayed on the 4th floor, the room was huge with a Jacuzzi. Surprisingly I tried my luck at an upgrade and it worked. The room was very clean. Most important its location, right next to the Casino. Also, 5 minutes walk to all the major restaurants. Heated pool but not very big. The negative is the parking, the hotel charges you $20 a night (Includes taxes) to park on the premises.

    4
« large clean rooms, friendly service, two sinks »

We have been there several times in the past 4 years. The rooms are large with two sinks, the staff efficient and friendly and rates very reasonable. You can walk to the falls in 10 minutes and to the casino in 5 minutes,

    « birthday/family getaway »

We booked through wag jag we asked for an extra bed the extra bed cost us $30 per night not $30 in total like we were told had to pay $10 a night to park. The room did have two rooms, one with two beds and another with one which was nice. First night was great, quiet, second night there was a party going on all night long, called complained went quiet, party again called again still partied, went we checked out nothing was said no apology. When we called to complain they said we could have called earlier so they could send security my thought was if you had security they should have noticed earlier as it went on all night long. Our room was also above the ice machine so we could hear it on occasion. Room was nice and spacious we were able to sit on the floor and play games. No fridge, no microwave. It had two tvs one even attached up the wall except it was useless no plug, no cable, not sure why they put it in. Bathroom was small, occasionally had a smell, Water was hot but would sometimes shoot bursts of cold at you. Curtains on the windows blocked out the light which was nice so we could sleep in. We went to the pool it was very warm, we didn't try the hot tub as it was yellow in colour. When I paid the bill I told them to take off the tourist tax which they did, I then seen some other charges labelled room chargesI asked about them and he said they were they taxes from when I booked the room, i prepaid the room but not the taxes, got it, but then why did they tax my taxes, he wasnt sure and couldnt answer my question nor did he remove the extra taxes. After paying for my room upfront I still ended up having to pay an extra $113 for the extra bed for two nights, parking, taxes and the extra taxes. Not sure if it was a deal in the end as some other hotels have parking included and an extra cot is cheaper elsewhere. It was close to the falls though, one block and about a ten minute walk to clifton hill.

    « 1 night @ the Falls »

My wife were going to a dinner show @ Oh Canada Eh!, and thought we would stay overnight in the Falls. Best Western Fallsview was our choice. The hotel is very well located, on a diagonal to the Fallsview Casino, and very close to the Falls. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and the benefits package was outstanding. Dollars off to IHOP (located in the hotel), Ruth's Chris, The Keg, and East Side Mario's. We couldn't use them all. I am sure that we will be returning here in the future.

    « A lot of problems »

Stayed in ground floor room to start. Asked to be moved as no shears on windows. People walking close by & could see in the room as everyone else. The table was way higher & the chairs too low. When I talked to the staff about how unhappy I was they upgraded at no extra charge. They would not refund any money for leaving early. Moved to newer building higher as no windows had shears. That building was under construction. It will be nice when finished. The first night in new room & ran out of toilet paper by morning. No extra around. 1 bed the sheets were thrown on but not tucked in. Don't feel like the room was made up for new people. Found both sinks slow draining so had a shaving mess to clean up. stayed 3 nights. The room next to us on 1 night had young kids with no adults. I went to the front desk at 3 am. The manager went up right away. The noise stopped after that but had gone on for over 3 hours. Nice that it is across the street from the casino. Did not like that they charged $20 a day for parking. That is in small print way down when you book on line. The discount coupons for Ihop was a joke. With $15 discount it still cost $45 & we left hunger. Coffee almost $4. Balcony had lots of butts on the ground.

    « A great value »

My fiancé and I came to town to see the falls and visit the casinos. We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Fallsview. The only things that I did not like about the hotel were the décor in the room and the limited parking situation, which also cost us $10. However, it was one of the best hotel values we could find at only about $90 CAD, which for a young couple, made the trip more feasible.

    4
« Close enough for me! »

Nice and spacious room, helpful staff at the reception, decent wifi, and across the street from fallsview casino. We had a room that seems to be renovated, so that was a plus. The only things I thought were missing was more bars of soap and a fridge, but the balcony worked for that in the winter. It was a nice stay!

    3
    « Two night stay - Ok »

Best Western Niagara Falls is ok if you looking for cheap getaway. However, the internet does not work the best, and once you are there, they then tell you to pay $18 plus tax a day for parking. Aswell, we reserved two rooms (one for a friend) when that friend checked in, he paid for room and parking on his own, then our credit card was also billed and staff had trouble correcting this and told us we had to pay on credit card for everything and then the friend would have to pay us

First time in Best Western and i was glad i did. Took a trip to see NIagara Falls. The hotels was in great location as i was only a 4 min walk to the actuall falls. You can actually see the falls from the street. Rooms were clean and staff was great. i even used a wake up call. Will be coming back during the summer time.

« Great customer service, great location, great for a family stay »

Booked a two night stay at this hotel for a mini March Break getaway. While the hotel is a little dated and is currently under renovation, the customer service more than makes up for it. Check in was quick and friendly, lots of helpful receommendations from the staff. Check out was also quick and with out hassle. Every time we went to the lobby the staff was smiling and helpful, Our room was a good size and very clean. Again, very dated, but suited us perfectly especially with two kids in tow. Service to the room was quick too. When I called for extra towels (a necessity with two pre-teen girls!) , they were delivered with a smile within 5 minutes. The location is central to many great restaurants and shops. Hotel is across from the Casino and up the street from the Fun Zone. The gift shop attached to the hotel was very reasonably priced (as far as gift shops go) and the staf there was also very friendly and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of the Imax Theatre, the Skylon tower, and most importantly Tim Hortons!! The pool area was very very busy, but this is to be expected as this hotel seems to cater to families with children, the kids loved the pool, however, I found the pool to be over chlorinated, the chlorine smell was so thick in the air that I could feel it in the back of my throat and it stuck to your clothes after leaving. Towels for the pool were supplied by the hotel and constantly replenished which was another sign of great customer service. The only thing about the pool area that was a little bit gross was the hot tub. There water was yellow in colour. I cannot imagine it was very sanitary especially with so many people and small children in it. That needs to be monitored more carefully by the hotel staff. All in all it was a great time with the family. Great customer service always goes a long way.

« You get what you pay for »

The hotel is going under renovations which were told to us before arrival. The Bad: Unexpected what the room quality. The carpets need replacing, the walls need to be painted to get rid of the engrained cigarette type smell. Pool hottub water color looked disgustingly green. The Pool area needs a good cleaning. The Good: Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Lobby area was well taken care of Cost: great bang for the buck for a 2 night stay that came with a ton of extras that helped save a lot of money over the course of our stay and gave the kids lots to do for next to nothing.

    3
« Overall Good place to stay »

we stayed at this hotel during March with family and kids enjoyed the swimming pool. Rooms were cleaned but corridors were not. Location wise this hotel is at perfect place. Near to the falls as well as walking to all attractions. I would recommend to anyone with family

« you get what you pay for..... »

Decent sized room, some renos taking place, kinda loud because of the area, but for a night in Niagara it does the trick, esp when purchasing through Groupon. i may consider going to one of the bigger chain hotels next time.....

Hotel was clean and service was good. Stayed with kids for 1 night in Niagara falls. Kids wanted to go to the pool, but could not enjoy, because water was ice cold! That was a big disappointment. Close to falls .. can walk and also close to fun zone and other activities. i would recommended this place for a family stay.

    « Perfect location »

This hotel is older but is currently under renovation. It is perfectly located for ease of access to the falls, Clifton Hill and numerous places to eat. Room was a good size and staff were very nice and helpful. There is an IHop in the hotel. The food was ok but wayyyyy over priced. I will not eat there again if I can avoid it because of the pricing. Especailly for breakfast food, again wayyyyyyy over priced!

« One Night at the FallsView.. »

We stayed here one night on our March break travels. What we can say it a hotel in transition. Construction on certain floors. Still a lot to go. The rooms were big and the beds were comfortable. Again lots of hockey teams here because of march break tournaments. The location of the hotel is about 10 min walk to the falls and you can see a falls from the upper floors. We were on one of the lower floors. The hotel did have indoor pool and Hot tub but warning here not very well kept up. The hot tub water was grey green and the pool was green.. We did make note this to hotel management but if anything was done. We were out by the next morning and did not see the pool. They do have a IHOP in the hotel. The one thing we can say is save your money. Even with the $10 off it still cost a family 4 more that 60.. there is Tim Hortons on the other side of the hotel and McDonalds near by.. I would like to see the hotel when the construction is done to do another review.

    « Great Family Hotel »

Hotel offered us early check in. Brought our 2 granddaughters here over March break. Lots of coupons offered. Great deals. Rooms were large and clean. Balcony overlooked USA direction. Girls did go on balcony. Hotel is in a great area, restaurants, and of course, Niagara Falls.

    5
« Great place to stay and enjoy Niagara Falls »

Great time with hockey friends and family, large rooms, however it would have been better if the bar fridge was included in the price of the hotel and not extra, walking distance to Niagara falls, with lots to do, price of the IHOP is outrageous

    3
    « Standard »

For the price, you can't expect too much. I thought it was cheeky to charge for parking. Rooms are OK, old, but clean. The elevators are very slow, its quicker to take the stairs, I was 5 floors up. You can hear all the noise from outside. Its walking distance to the falls, I stay again only if desperate

    4
    « Great Family Fun »

Took our two granddaughters (13&6) for an overnight stay during March break. Requested high floor, got it! Package included lots of coupons for restaurants, and arcade fun. Needed extra towels and they were delivered immediately. Good customer service! The hotel is renovating.

« Stayed several times now »

We visit the falls quite regularly and have found this place to be our choice the last four visits. It's a best western so don't expect luxury or model rooms straight from a magazine page but for what you need it is the best price and location. We will definitely stay again. Also being smokers, having balconies in every room is a huge plus. Be aware of the expensive parking though. I recommend dropping your stuff in your room and finding a 5 dollar lot. There's a few nearby. Two minute walk to casino. Same distance to a Tim Hortons for a morning coffee. 15 minute walk to Clifton hill.

    1
    « Never again »

They didn't warn us of renovations when we booked. There were ripped up carpets, missing baseboards, broken elevator buttons, out of service satellite tv, loose cables and wires jutting out of walls, and gross rooms. Management/front desk was pretty rude and unsympathetic to our concerns. The smoke detector would randomly go off, including 4am, and no one came to deal with it despite telling us they would for a day. When we got back from a day out, it had been removed and never replaced. Our patio didn't have any chairs despite them telling us they would bring some up. The floors were filthy. We'll never stay at a best western again

« Great Value and Customer Service »

Another great visit. Our mattress was more comfortable than my high end home one. Water pressure for the shower was better than most other hotels and the WiFi connection is solid. We absolutely love this hotel. It is kitty-corner to the Casino, easy walking distance to the Falls and a host of eateries and entertainment nearby. It is an older looking hotel but it is a true gem. If I had a wish list for this place it would be: - more tv channels - larger size tv's - softer towels I highly recommend this place for great value and location. Btw, the buffet in the casino is the cheapest place to eat for miles and is actually pretty darn good.

Have stayed here many time. The hotel is clean and the price is good. With an indoor and outdoor pool you can swim any season. The last two times we stayed there was no basket to put your used towels so people were leaving them 0n the floor or on the chairs. This was not what I expected from a Best Western hotel.

    « Terrible hotel »

Unfriendly, unprofessional, incompetent and uncaring staff. Hotel under going renovations and staff could care less about the inconvenience and uncleanliness of the hotel. Room amenities very sparse and not functional. Had to request basics towels, coffee. Suggest a stay elsewhere.

    2
« Did anyone clean this room? »

We have stayed here many times over the years. It is good value for the money - BUT this stay the room was extremely unclean. A paint can and pizza box littered the room upon our arrival. The carpet and balcony had not be cleaned this decade. We don't complain any more because we are used to it and as the old saying goes "you get what you pay for".

    3
    « Nice and cheap »

Cheap hotel, we found it on Groupon. Included was a "Fallsview" room and free vouchers for dining at IHOP, OUTBACK and free game cards. (See my other reviews on those locations) We were unaware we had to pay $50 for parking on arrival, also the Fallsview room was not as stated. They don't have Fallsview rooms, just rooms facing a "garden" as the falls are a mile away and not in sight. The room was a bit dated but clean. Ihop is onsite, which is convenient but far from cheap. $20 for pancakes and owned by the hotel. The location of our room was inside but on a second or third floor, can't rememver. They do have elevators and are pet friendly. Staff was ok,indoor pool was great and clean.

    5
    « No complaints! »

We stayed here as a couple with another couple. No complaints! Just across the way from the casino. Restaurants near by. Room was huge. Balcony was huge. Clean. Nothing special at all but overall good. Would most definitely go back. Cab fare to Clifton Hill just under $10. IHOP on site.

    « Needs better staff/ management »

We arrived March 10th Was really happy our room was ready early it's a nice size two large beds and somewhat clean. We were not told its under construction so construction dust all over the bathroom counters, lights hanging down the hallway and the noise!! Drills banging ect all day! The side door key swipe is broken, so being on the first floor we climbed the patio to get in our room, got a call from front desk threatening to throw us out. I'm an adult, I've never in my life been threatened to be thrown out of a hotel all you had to do was ask us not to do it, we would have stopped no need to threaten us. Not sure if we did something to upset staff as I've watched others over and over do the same thing? Fire Alam was going off last night we believe because of water issue I say we believe as no explanation was ever made by staff no apologies absolutely nothing. Charge for parking, a fridge, expensive tokens in the room (ya $3 don't use them) free wifi if you can connect and stay connected (I have a teenage girl pretty upset about wifi) All and all not bad, but don't expect more than a place to sleep

    3
    « Just ok »

Not super impressed crazy taxes and parking charges IHOP is over priced Room was ok not the best smelt funny Hotel package was a good bargain Girl at front counter had a poor attitude I guess all in all.it was alright at best will second think my hotel choices in the future for sure

    « Meh at best... »

This hotel seems a little dated. The price was right, and it was booked through one of those group deals. Would probably be alright if you wanted somewhere cheap with a group of friends. Room was clean, however there were cigarette butts left on the balcony which was pretty disgusting. The real kicker is the walls are PAPER THIN. Not sure to rate this as a plus or minus... we could hear the couple banging next door in the middle of the night. Overall, probably wouldn't chose this one again. There are other hotels in the area with comparable rates.

    « Great Deal »

Stayed on a Friday night for a Girls Night. Great Promotion with great price. Good value. Hotel is average but worth it for the extras you receive. Paid $ 79 for the room and received $50 in Gambling $ at Casinos as well as dinner vouchers. Great location right across the street from Fallsview Casino. I've stayed here before but was disappointed this visit as was placed in a room in the basement when promotion indicated a "private balcony or patio". This inconvenienced the smoker in our group. The basement was also being renovated with mats on the hallway floors rather than carpet. . Not a big deal but was not warned ahead of time. No fridge in the room. I knew this going in but would be a nice addition to the room. Overall content with our stay.

« Not the best hotel in Niagara Falls »

My hubby and I just spent a couple of days in Buffalo to do a little shopping and take in a Flames/Sabres game. We wanted to extend our mini vacation by spending a night in Niagara Falls. While looking for hotels on various discount sites (TravelZoo, Groupon, WagJag, etc.) we settled on a promotion from LivingSocial that consisted of accommodation at the Best Western Fallsview. Our package came with the following deals and discounts: Chocolate Factory tour and tasting, $15 IHOP voucher, $20 Outback voucher, free admission for two to the Mystic Maze of Mirrors with five free tokens, two wine country touring passes to Peller Estates and Trius Winery, discounts at one of the following five restaurants - The Keg, TGI Fridays, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, and East Side Mario's. When we checked in we were upgraded to a King bedroom. Our room came with an armoire instead of a closet. We noticed that our room didn't have a bar fridge, so we improvised by storing our beer out on the balcony. Our room came with two end tables on each side of our bed with a lamp on each table, flat-screen TV, two chairs, a table, and a floor lamp. The dresser drawers were a little askewed and I noticed that our bathroom didn't come with lotion or conditioner. Our room was located on the fourth floor of the south tower, which had a pretty good view if Murrary St. It's a pity that there were so many cigarette butts on our balcony. The lobby, IHOP and indoor pool are located in the sixth floor of the east tower. The best part of the room were the photos of Niagara Falls that hung over our bed. I can't speak about the other rooms, but ours was/is in desperate need of renovations. I may not stay at this hotel again and just stick with the Ramada.

« Better option in Port ALberni, nothing special »

I visit Port Alberni for a week every month for business, I don't like the people working there, very flat and not friendly, but hotel is not bad. Probably better bet in Port Alberni. I stayed in all hotels there, if it wasn't for the people, I would give it 4 to 5 starts all the way, it's just wrong to deal with people that lack a smile!

    « Good Stay »

Good stay, was in walking distance to almost everything in the area about 10-15 minutes. They did end up charging for parking which I swear I didn't see when I was booking it, so about $30 for one night.

    « Weekend Getaway »

Hotel was perfectly fine, very large room that was recently updated. Very convenient location in the heart of the falls and walking distance to mostly anything. We had a Living Social deal that included Wine Tour passes for several NOTL vineyards which was excellent. The chocolate tour was OK at best but hey its near more Vineyards. The Ruth Chris Discount was good but still be prepared to fork over some cash, ask for tap water or prepare to be charged... Overall including the parking and extras it was a very good value.

    « Decent »

We had a groupon for it and because I had a coupon code for groupon we actually got the hotel for 35$ which is a steal! The room was clean and the staff were nice but the drunk and high kids partying was not the best but it did quiet down! We had free parking because my grandma is in a wheelchair because paying 20$ for the parking would have been absurd. All in all good time had

    4
    « Getaway »

The outside of the hotel is a little dated, but the staff and the rooms are friendly and clean. You can usually get a good deal rate wise because they quite often include coupons to local restaurants and attractions. Location is great because you can walk to almost everything you want to go to including Clifton Hill.

    2
    « Little outdated »

Under renovations a little now , basic and located close to most attractions . Casino is right across the street. Don't make the mistake of eating at the ihop downstairs ..... tasteless and waaaay overpriced there ..... $70 For a waffle and w basic breakfasts ..... not edible reprocessed food .... Will note room service did take my sons chocolate bar when they cleaned our room Lmao Must love aero bars :p

    « Not the best »

Stayed here for almost a week and I wasn't too sure of the place because of the reviews but it was not as bad as I thought it would be but I am giving this hotel a 2 rating because of a few things I did not like. I saw a lot of reviews that said it smelled like weed in this hotel and it sure did every floor smelled like weed but the floor i stayed on which was the 4th floor once the weekend past it didn't smell like it anymore. This hotel seems to be a party hotel a lot of young loud people, our first night there was a party on the first floor and they didn't stop being loud until about a little past 3am and sound travels through this hotel because the party was on the first floor and we were on the 4th and you could hear the music and stumping around. The down comforter in the duvet was horrible it kept sliding down so we would have to keep adjusting it. The pool and hot tub has way more chemicals than it should we had to have our engagement rings serviced when we got home and they said whatever they had in the water is not good with metal. Went to the Ihop twice and wow was it expensive for breakfast we didn't mind paying the price but it was very expensive for what it was the second time we spent 49 dollars and thats including our hotel coupon of 15 dollars off was not worth it. Also the weekends the parking lot is full you have to keep circling around looking for a spot and hope someone leaves and its supposed to be guaranteed parking that a lie and your paying 20 a night for parking. Compared to a lot of the other hotel around ours it seemed like we were staying in the ghetto I think if your going to have a hotel on the main strip then make sure it looks updated and so on probably will never stay here again because the only thing I was happy about was that our room was clean and that our floor was the quietest.

« One of the worst hotels I've ever been »

I'd give zero star if I could. Our room was giving on the highway. We could here the cars in the street so loud that at some point I wasn't sure whether the beeping we were hearing was that of a truck moving back or a fire alarm. There was a bunch of girls in the room in from the who kept screaming all.night...so much that the front desk and security had to come several times. But the walls are PAPER THIN so the 10 times they knocked on the door in from of ours and talked to the chippies, we for sure woke up. So we barely slept and the housekeepers starting going around at 8am. Laughing and talking very loud in the hallway. Again, THE WALLS ARE EVERYTHING BIT SOUND PROOF... OTHER THINGS: - the restaurant is ridiculously overpriced. DON'T EAT THERE EVEN IF YOU HAVE A VOUCHER! - the shower gel dispenser was empty - the ice machine on our floor was broken - PARKING IS FREAKING $18 PER NIGHT !! - I hope they are under construction otherwise...all of the hallway walls are dirty and unfinished. The good: - big room - free Wi-Fi. Avoid this place.

« walking distance to fallsview casino & clubs »

I stayed at this hotel on a short trip to Niagra Falls. We were only there for one night so cant say too much. It was three of us, the room was with two queen beds and quite spacious for us to put our stuff around. There are balconies which is amazing and the view is nice except you do not see the falls but we weren't expecting that anyway. The room was a bit dull so we requested more light and they brought up a lamp for us right away. The rooms are clean, definitely worth it for the price. There is a club right across the hotel (and about 3 mins walk there is another club Dragon Fly. The pool is nice except it was filled with children when I took a peak. They give you a coupon for IHOP which doesn't really help since you end up paying almost $25 per person for breakfast.

    « Good Experience »

Had an enjoyable stay for one night at this hotel. The hotel is undergoing a major facelift and the decor in our room was very nice. The hotel is clean and very conveniently located to many ammenties. I would recommend this hotel. This is not our first or last time staying here.

    3
    « It was "Ok" »

We booked this hotel for our honeymoon. Wasn't to satisfied with this hotel. Very out of date. The heater/AC was extremely out of date. Theres no fridge or microwave in the rooms. The coffee pot in the room is a one cup coffee maker. I would recommend this for a short 1 or 2 day trip if you are looking for a decent priced hotel. When we checked in and got to our room, the heat was off and it was extremely cold in the room. Hotel staff are friendly. Hotel has an iHop attached which was nice but every breakfast was over $50 CAD every morning. Location is really convenient. Right down the road from the casino and only a 10 to 15 minute walk from Clifton Hill. There is a $18 CAD a night fee for self-parking. Theres not much security on the property. There were other ppl in the hotel smoking marijuana on the first floor we were were on the 4th and it was extremely strong. Like, I said, if you are looking for a weekend getaway and not wanting to spend a lot of money on a hotel and just want basic, this hotel would be good for you. I prefer a updated hotel with extra amenities.

    4
    « Weekend getaway »

I've stayed here before and will again. Only downside is the iHop restaurant. Very expensive for typical breakfast. $17 for bacon and eggs? Seriously!! No wonder they always offer coupons. I would rather drive down the road or walk over to Tim Horton's. Even the buffet at the casino is a better deal.

    5
« not a free breakfast as indicated »

overall the hotel was great, except in the booking, it had indicated the hotel came with a free breakfast , however when we got there we were offered a $15 off coupon only at ihop was not free and my family of 4 was over $80

    « GOOD HOTEL »

nice clean hotel cheap and very close to casino and mall. We had a terrible sleep just because of tempature in our room being so hot we turned down temp and blasted AC and still hot.. :( Duvets lump up but aside from that it was great

« Don't care how cheap it was...never going back! »

Bought a Living Social deal for my boyfriend's birthday...I figured a nice romantic weekend away would be nice, and how bad could a Best Western be. Well it was pretty bad. They placed us in a room on the first floor...walking down the hall to our room, it felt like I was 3rd class of the Titanic. Dim lights flickering, gross carpeting and a stiff smell of chlorine. Our room wasn't any better, 2 out of the 3 lamps didn't work and neither did our alarm clock. We saw little soup stains in our tub so who knows if it was even washed before we arrived. We had a Kleenex box with ONE Kleenex in it.... Our room had an adjoining door to another room and we could tell they were loud but it was only 7pm so we didn't mind. Turns out we were in a party wing or something because both nights our neighbours were partying until 4-5am, despite us calling security 2-3 times each night. We got $20 off (our parking) for the disturbance though, but that's only because I complained quite a bit. The meal vouchers they give you are a complete scam...went to IHOP and even with my $15 voucher, my bill came out to over $40 for 2 people...that was just for breakfast!! We went to Montana's for dinner and our dinner for 2 people came out to over $100. Times that by 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 3 dinners and it comes out to an insane expense for a weekend. We learned very quickly that if you have a car, drive the 3-4 streets away to get into the less "touristy" area where the meals are much more reasonably priced. Went to this restaurant called the boat house where a super delicious breakfast cost us $5.99 each. So, stay away from hotel coupons. Also, if you see a Niagara Falls tax on any of your bills, it's totally illegal for them to charge it. It's a tourist tax that they just impose but you're not required to pay it. We went to a delicious pizzeria called Il Sorriso and they're right in the middle of the tourist section and they have reasonable prices and no extra tax! Apart from that, the hotel is well located, so you can walk to the Falls, the Casino and other tourist attractions. All in all, we tried to make the best of it but we definitely won't be back to the Best Western Fallsview.

    5
« close to everything, balconies! »

very clean, very comfortable, close to all attractions, balconies so you can step out and get fresh Niagara air anytime you want, Great deal on groupon, with dining passes and wine tours, we decided to leave home a day earlier than planned and to add a second night and got the same room with orbitz for $38 for a king suite, and i called the front desk before leaving home and they joined our two different reservations together and they gave us 2 nights of coupons and $25 each night for the casino! parking was $18 but if you sign up for best western rewards it costs $10, totally worth it for how close you are to everything and the coupons! We received $20 Keg steakhouse to eat overlooking the falls, $15 at IHOP in the hotel, wine tours, and more for area attractions. My husband wanted to bring the bed home it was so comfortable!

    2
« Watch Out for all the extras? »

My family went to The Best Western for a weekend get away. We bought our package on groupon already paid for it so we thought. Watch out for all the hidden fees that we were not aware of. My son is over 12 years old so there is an extra 12.00 plus tax on top of what we already paid for the room, 20.00 plus tax in a parking and this is what really got me because not anywhere did it say we had to pay a 60.00 plus tax for a security deposit per room (we had two rooms for our family). Which took six days to be credit back to my account. The pool is small and outdated, and the hot tub was green. There are a lot of young parties going on through this hotel. There was one unfortunately above our room and the party lasted to 4am. I guess they warned them 4 times which I think is more then they should have received, not a care for the other people around them trying to sleep. Screaming up and down the halls, yet again young kids partying across the hall. The only good thing I can say about this place is the rooms are big and they were clean. We will not be back.

    5
    « Very comfortable hotel »

Our hotel was very clean and comfortable. They are still doing more renovations. It was one block from the casino and the falls. Very easy check in and check out. The staff were very friendly. We would recommend this hotel

    « Good value, not-so-good services »

The front-desk lady very unprofessionally refused my 100 dollar bill. I am not upset with the policy, Best Western has its right to legally choose not to accept. But the lady's attitude was making me really uncomfortable. Her attitude was like: "I do not care, the trainer told me to not to accept $100, not satisfied? Not my problem, management asked me to do so." This is unbelievable, never encountered similar check-out service anywhere else in BW!! Definitely shocked, which actually ruined my good mood of enjoying Niagara Fall in the morning! Sorry I have to tell my true feeling. Sorry miss, if you choose to do the job, please love the career!

« Had to fight to get incorrect late checkout fee taken off »

There were a few small complaints that I had about the room: - there was no ceiling lighting and the tall lamp that was in the corner of the room had a broken switch so it was useless - the TV was quite small so we had to move it closer to the bed, it also had issues with some channels being fuzzy - there was NO free shampoo, conditioners or liquid body wash. I don't know about other people but that's one of my perks of visiting a hotel so I didn't pack any. This became a BIGGER problem when it came to the fact that they had a very large jacuzzi tub in the middle of the room so obviously you want to add bubbles! My boyfriend went to the front desk to ask for some soap for the tub and was given those crappy hard bar soaps which do not work for that purpose - I was provided with a letter saying I'd receive a survey to fill out and never got one (which is why I'm on here) FINALLY, a week later I checked my credit card bill and noticed I was charged around $33 extra by Best Western. I had to call and speak to three people of different positions to try to fight an apparent late checkout. They claimed we were still in the room at 1pm (our checkout was 11am) when we weren't even in the same city by that time. I was also quoted different times to checkout each time I called. At first the first manager only offered me $15 off the late fee which I refused to give into as I KNEW we did not checkout late. It wasn't until I asked for his superior that the next day I managed to get it waived, but the entire time each person spoke to me like they did not believe we checked out on time. Oh also the IHOPs food was very disappointing, I will for sure never eat breakfast at one again. As for the Best Western, I will also avoid them from now on. This wasn't the worst experience ever but it's not one I wish to repeat either.

    1
« Wrong side of the tracks »

This is a run down ghetto from the 80's. You also get the privelage of paying $20 for parking, when it is often free 200 meters away. If you have any addictions, this could be the place for you. Make sure you enjoy brown/beige/poo coloured surroundings.

    2
« gouging gouging gouging,,,how much is enough »

gouging should be there motto, even though you have a room you still have to pay $20.00 a night for they're parking, any extra's, make sure you have your wallet, clean rooms though but i didn't feel at home at all !!!

    3
    « OK For Niagara »

Fast check-in and check-out. On all the occasions I have stayed here these people never consider special requests. The rooms are OK but the whole place is either a little run down or in the process of being renovated but never finished. Rooms were OK. The one thing this place has going for it is location. Less than 1 minute to the casino, a few minutes to many restaurants and attractions and a 10 minute walk to Clifton Hill.

    3
« Not informed of the renovations »

It wasn't a terrible stay but they are doing renovations on a lot of their floors. Keys didn't work, ice machines didn't work, parking expensive so we parked at the casino instead. Smell of paint very powerful and cleaning staff very loud.

    1
    « terrible experience »

very terrible night. very loud. paid 20$ for parking and could not find a spot. parking attendants not helpful. woke up the next morning to no hot water. was given an extension for check out but staff not helpful at all

« Good place for a great price. »

This hotel is currently doing upgrades but the size of the rooms, the location of the hotel, the price of the hotel and the quality of the staff makes this hotel a place where I will return. The hotel is in walking distance to most of the major sites, restaurants and fun activities. I will bring my family here again.

    4
    « great location »

Hotel is a little dated in room and lobby decor. The location is great, close to the casino and all the bars and restaurants. Front desk staff was very kind and helpful. Parking at the hotel was difficult because there wasnt enough spots for guest, even though we had to pay $10

    4
    « Great location! »

This was our first time staying here. Our room was clean and balcony is nice to have. Ice machine was on the floor which was nice. Your walking distance to restaurants casino and the falls. There is lots of parking spots so don't worry about not finding parking.

    « Ok for a night »

The pros- the room sizes are large. We got a complimentary room upgrade to a room with 3 double beds. The room was spacious, and served it's purpose. A place to sleep until we awoke and got started for the days activities. The highlight of the hotel was having the attached IHOP which provided a familiar and easy breakfast. It wasn't hard to navigate to the falls when we did leave for our day out and about. The cons - There isn't enough parking. The room seemed dark and not as clean as I would ever want. I could make that sacrifice for a quick overnight, inexpensive family outing. But more than a night would have me booking elsewhere. Our room was by the vending machine, which seemed to create some noise with traffic and us hearing people's conversations that were going on in the hallway. However, it didn't wake us up once we fell asleep. Our room had a parking lot view (fine for our quick trip purpose). I did it for a night, I wouldn't do it again.

    3
« Silly Place for a Jacuzzi Dial »

Great place to stay in the falls, especially if your on a budget. However if you get the Jacuzzi room, the dial is right when you walk in on a wall you wouldln't even look at. Had to cut our Jacuzzi time short because we had to wait for a repair man to come "fix" our jacuzzi. I felt so dumb when he just flipped the switch. Was pretty annoyed that they didn't tell me this on the phone when i called and complained. There are three different dials, and its the one you wouldn't notice that works! How silly.

    1
    « Disputing charges »

Drug oder within the hallways and lobby. We are in the process of disputing a charge of "smoking in the room" and we did NOT. Apparently its acceptable to smoke drugs in your room and NO police are called. The smell carried right through the hallway and when our door was open to go in and out the smell would go in our room. The process to dispute a charge on your credit card is a lengthy process but there was NO smoking in our room (balcony room) so I will follow this through to the end.

    4
    « Big clean rooms. »

Stayed at this hotel recently. Perfect location , walking distance to casino and the falls. Very large room and helpful staff. There is also a mini mart open 24 hours just outside the hotel. Will be returning in the summer.

    3
    « Quick weekend visit »

Hotel is in need of an update. It was very clean and comfortable and the service staff were great. There was a memo at registeration about up coming renovations. Close walk to casino and other restaurants. Parking was difficult as it seems the parking fills quickly.

    1
    « Poor customer service »

I was unable to make my scheduled night due to medical issues in the family. The cancellation was beyond the window in the agreement so I was charged the full amount even though I could not go. I cannot argue that point but I thought there might be some sympathy shown by the hotel. All I received was a terse email restating the cancellation policy. I emailed the hotel back asking for compassion and received no further communication. The next day I got an advertisement email from them. Total disrespect. Do not patronize this hotel

    5
    « Fantastic »

We paid 69.99 a night. 2 queen beds a balcony and the floor plan was Huge!!! The staff was friendly the pool and hot tub was warm and fun! We met a house keeper named Steve! Truly went above and beyond in the customer service department! Its under going Reno's but our room was clean . Next time we come we will be staying here. Hands down. Be careful. The restaurant is crazy expensive and no free or complimentary breakfast.

    3
    « Stale »

The view of this hotel overall was outdated and the hotel smelled stale throughout the hotel, even in the room. Needs an upgrade. Everything is old, well used and stale, from the elevators, the hallways, the rooms. Nothing about this place was impressive, except the hot tub.

    3
    « Just OK »

If you're on a budget this was a good deal! Not sure why they call it fallsview, because regardless of the room you get, none of them are fallsview rooms. Staff was really nice and great. Room was a good size, king size bed, room was clean, but the stairways smelled really bad of urine so take the walk to the elevator. The hallways and stairways carpets were really stained. Walking distance to everything. It was just OK

    5
    « One night Stay »

This hotel is going through renovations. The room we had (578) was big and very clean. The two queen beds were comfortable and I got a kick out of the little pillows which were comfortable also. The location is excellent with the Fallsview casino across the street and a 5 minute walk to the falls walking down Murray St. Clifton Hill is about a 15-20 min. walk(depending how fast you walk). The price for a Friday night was very good. There is ample parking. All in all my wife and I would stay here again. This hotel has an indoor pool.

  • 2
    « It was okay »

This hotel is very run down - it's currently going though room renovations. I was in an old room that wasn't renovated yet and paid full price for the room, whereas my friends got a groupon deal and they got to stay in a renovated room - not sure the logic behind that is. But with that said, the renovated room wasn't much better other than new paint on the wall and new chairs. It's in a good location if you're wanting to go to the fallsview casino, but it's a decent walk ( 10-15) min to Clifton Hill where majority of the attractions are. The halls smelt very dingy and gross. The parking is on-site which is nice as I like to have access to my car, it's $18 though. They gave us a few decent vouchers which was nice (I hop , East Side Mario's, Ruth Chris's steakhouse) I wouldn't go back or recommend this hotel.

    3
    « Okay hotel »

First things first: the staff at the reception area was great. Very polite and helpful. We travelled as a group of 6. We chose this hotel based on how close to the casino and our choice of restaurant for dinner. They also offer a room with 3 beds, instead of just 2 beds and a pull-out. The room was a bit outdated, but okay. It had enough space for all 6 of us, which was great. My biggest complaint is that the housekeepers leave envelopes, asking for tips. I always tip the housekeepers, but this just rubbed me the wrong way. In the end, if you aren't wanting luxury and pampering, this hotel is for you.

    2
« Terrible Service Bad Policy »

I saw the price on the Internet for $89 per night. I booked with booking.com. The new charger was $129 due to Saturday night stay. I felt I didn't have a opportunity to rebook it was a last minute hotel change. Our friends were staying elsewhere it was full. I unfortunately had to cancel due to a medical emergency. I called. The receptionist didn't log in my call and I didn't cancel within 72 hours. I booked and cancelled all within 3 days. They charged me $153.06.....I called for a refund the reservation Manager was both rude and lacked empathy. NO REFUND. Worse part...this is a busy place they don't need MY MONEY.

    4
« Amazing Value for Oversized Room »

We were able to get 2 adjoining rooms for the price of 1 in other areas and our kids had a blast running back and forth. Not only were the rooms a great value, but the space in each was unbelievable. The hotel was under construction so there were some detours to make and the front desk was very slow but once the manager helped out things went very smoothly. Great location as well. Near the Casino, many restaurants and a short walk to the falls. It also has an IHOP in the building which made breakfast very convenient.

    4
    « Huge Rooms »

The rooms are very large and suited all my needs. I Will definetly stay here again. There are areas of the Hotel under construction, however it never interfered with my stay. Only gripe would be the fact that Ihop is part of the breakfast experience... Extremely over priced breakfast, but not an issue if you go elsewhere to eat.

    4
    « Great Location »

It is in a great location in Niagara Falls. The staff were nice. the beds were comfy. Yes we would stay again. The deal we had made for a great night away in the Falls. We could walk to the casino and restaurants.

    « Disappointing answers! »

My daughter and I stayed here last weekend and I must say overall the hotel is quite good, the location is excellent literally across from the casino, very central to all the restaurants and the falls (10 minute walk) Clifton Hill is a bit longer 20 minutes but still close. The issue we had was with the renovations, once we arrived in our room, which was nice enough, clean and quite big we noticed a tapping sound and realized it was the construction outside - we went down to the front desk and asked if it would continue into the weekend, as that would be very annoying Saturday morning - would not make for a nice sleep in!! We were assured they do not work weekends - well they started work at 7:30am Saturday morning! We once again asked if they'd be there Sunday morning - no they do not work Sunday's - well I'm sure you can guess what we woke up to - tap, tap, tap, scrape - just annoying, while I know renovations must be done, we specifically asked - just disappointing to not be told the truth.

    4
« A nice last minute holiday in Niagara Falls. »

The hotel was under renovations on our visit but the renovations did not disrupt our stay. We were welcomed warmly and enjoyed our stay. Our room was nice and spacious and included a balcony, which every room does.

    2
    « A little disappointed »

Had to argue my reservation rate on check in. Location subject to a lot of street noise. The property is dated but I understand renovations are underway. The room size is excellent as is the location near to one of the casinos and many other attractions.

    3
    « OK but wouldn't stay again »

We chose hotel for New Year's Eve because of it's convenient location to the concert venue and because it was $200-300 cheaper than large hotels nearby. We were lucky to get a room overlooking the Skylon Tower so we were able to see midnight fireworks. Room was large, beds good, possibly partially renovated (maybe new bathroom flooring?), had a strange soaker tub in main room, pillows way too puffy. Water very difficult to regulate. Had to run shower about 3-5 min before you could step in so that water wouldn't be freezing or scalding. Room clean but hallways dirty. Nice balconies which became havens for smokers and we were kept awake most of night by rumbling sounds from balcony doors and kids running up and down corridors. Housekeeping staff very pleasant. Adjacent to outrageously priced IHop. Food average but breakfast cost min $20-$25 pp for simple bacon and eggs! Shame on them! Ask for CAA rate for room and parking discount. If I were looking for a medium priced hotel again, I'd investigate others and not stay here again.

    « Just ok! »

The rooms are little dated but clean the bathrooms are worn down The pool was nice(indoor warm 85 degrees) hot tub was hot but not the posted 104 degrees 18 bucks for parking that you pay tax on turns to 21.50 you can get overnight parking for $15 on the other side of the hotel For the price it was a great bang for the buck! one night(friday jan 01/16 ) cost 65 plus tax

    2
    « Tournament Stay »

Our team stayed at this hotel for a hockey tournament in December 2015. Ambience was what I expected for the $ - not pleased. The highlight of our stay was the IHOP (for breakfast) within the hotel. Proximity to restaurants a plus, would definitely recommend Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville (across the street). The 24 hour convenience store in the parking lot was handy but prices were elevated.

« You get what you pay for »

The Good: This hotel has some great features. Its location is hard to beat. A short stroll to the American and Canadian Falls, IMAX theatre, Skylon Tower and Casino. It has a huge arcade in the newly rennovated lobby. Indoor and Out door pools, and spa. Large spacious rooms allow for extra cots without feeling cramped. Ours had a view out the front to look at the Skylon and Casino. The Bad. We were extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of the swimming pool / spa area. It DEFINITELY required attention, in the form of a good scrub down. The rooms are no frills, Each room has a large sliding glass door onto the balcony, but they are noisy and other rooms around us sliding their doors open and closed woke us up many times during the night. There is no way to avoid this, so it was not worth complaining about it. Overall, this dated hotel (now being rennovated) is a decent option for the price. But you get what you pay for.

    « Excellent Service! »

We usually go to Sheraton, Crowne Plaza and those hotels but we always have a bad experience with the service and all the staff. It seems like they're doing a favour to you and doesn't seem to be that you're actually paying for their service. So, this time we decided we were not going to spend that much money if the service was not worth it. All we had in this hotel was pleasant surprises with the size of our room, a decent size washroom (with Bathtub!) and all the staff there. Our only points we would ask for improvement would be the pool and the hallways (pool looked dirty and hallways could use some cleaning) but everything else was perfect! All staff was always nice, happy and helpful and check-in and check-out was fast and with no surprises. BONUS: Your car is just there so you don't have to pay for valet parking and call half an hour before you want to use it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED :)

    « It was alright »

Firstly let me start by saying we stayed here between Christmas and New Years, we had a gift card so we selected here. The good: Checkin was good as they had 4 people at the desk to make it quick. We asked for a specific side of the hotel and specific floor and we got what we asked for. The room was big, the room was clean. Nice and close to walk to the casino and Restaurants nearby. To walk to the falls was a bit too far with the cold weather but you could tell some people were walking View from the balcony is nice Not so good: There is no mini fridge nor microwave, not that big of a deal as we used the balcony for our cooler bag. There is some perfume or potpourri they pump into the halls or some cleaning product but it makes the rooms almost unbearable if one has allergies. Really not good: They give you a coupon at check in to eat at the ihop Restaurant which is attached to the hotel, seems good but holy crap the prices of the food for breakfast are ridiculous - I wouldn't eat there again. Not only were the prices high but the food was cold and servers were blah and that smell of air freshner was so bad I had to ask the server where the smell was coming from as we could hardly eat the smell was so overpowering. She didn't know and didn't seem to want to find out. We never finished eating and left.

comfortable place to stay. I definitely recommend to my family and friends. I have enjoyed a lot for my 3 days in this hotel. convenience store just right at the corner building if you need to buy souvenirs and other things.

« value for your stay »

good value for your stay in Niagara Falls. Walk distance to the falls and casino fallsview. Timhortons is nearby. The hotel room is very big. Our family usually stay this hotel when travelling to the Falls.

    « Pre- new year's stay »

The rooms were very spacious which we enjoyed having the space to relax and spread out. We had 3 quite comfortable chairs to pull up to the table. The spray they used to clean the room was so overwhelming that it affected our breathing. The breakfast at the hotel was Ihop, but it is very expensive ($20. plus), but we were close to a Tim Horton's, so we managed. The Best Western card gave us a discount on parking which was certainly a plus.

    « Weekend Away »

Great for the price. We went away for the weekend and the price was right. The hotel was clean & the staff were friendly. If you are looking for modern amenities this is not the place for you, although they are updating. The lowest level by the indoor pool was being renovated during out stay so maybe next year it will be a whole different hotel! There is a balcony in every room which is wonderful, the only problem the doors are old and heavy and if you have neighbors and they open the door while you are sleeping you will think it is your door opening! On our second night we had loud neighbors, this was not a issue with the hotel just with rude people. I think everyone should always remember to be considerate of others on vacation! We did have an issue with the key card reader on our door, it was temperamental, they offered to have someone go right up and look at it although we refused because we were going out for the evening. We could always access our room it just took a few extra swipes. I was surprised it was a hugh room, but there was not a refridgerator or microwave!

« Good for the price »

We extended our trip an extra day and booked at the last minute here. Good if you want a comfortable room in a good location for a good price with no frills. Staff was friendly and helpful. Can walk to falls and Clifton hill.

« Good value for a longer stay »

This is a good value for a longer stay which we did. The hotel is going through renovations, but do not recommend using the IHOP that is the restaurant in the hotel. It is overly expensive for the value.

    « Sadly disappointed! »

As frequent visitors to Niagara Falls, we have always stayed at the Best Western Fallsview. The location is ideal, the rooms are spacious & the staff always very accommodating. Sadly, this visit did not meet up to the the standards they have shown in the past. We were there for 2 nights - the first night, we returned to our room after a pleasant evening out - went to turn on the heat & alas no heat! We contacted guest services & they sent maintenance to our room. Unable to get it to work, he called the front desk & they moved us to another room. Not on the same floor, NOPE - we had to pack everything up & move 1 floor up & at the other end of the hall (the floor was nowhere near full). The second night, we were woken about 1:00 a.m by the music pounding in the next room - again we contacted guest services! The music stopped almost immediately but the sliding class door continually opened & closed & party central carried on until 5 a.m. Upon checking out, the staff member on the reception desk, asked about our stay - I told her the things that had happened & her response was "Oh, that's too bad". Why bother asking if you have no intention of doing anything about it? Sadly disappointed by the entire experience!!!

We where treated exceptional from the time we walked in until we left... There is construction going on but it didn't interfere with us at all...The channels on the tv wouldn't come in or were cutting in an out... Didn't go to the restaurant prices were way too high for us... Fallsview casino right across the road and we could see the fireworks from our room... Will definitely go there again...

Had a great time in The Falls. This hotel is in a great location for dining and casino. The beds were very comfortable and there is lots of nightlife close by. Also close to Clifton Hill for many other activities.

    « Worst service ever »

My family and i arrived with our two small dogs on saturday and were told that the pet policy had changed "a few months ago" despite no notification or posting online ANYWHERE. the manager cancelled our reservation and would not help us find alternate accommodations, so we were left stranded with two small dogs without a hotel. we had to cancel our vacation and return home. this was very upsetting, even more so when i got an email yesterday from a senior manager putting the blame on MY family - should a major hotel chain not be responsible for it's own online content, rather than me having to double check every detail on the confirmation (email below)? So in that case I should then have technically called to confirm that the rooms were non-smoking, the beds were kind, and i was actually booking at the right hotel? are they delusional? i am absolutely disgusted at Best Western's treatment of my family, particularly around the holidays. The initial error was bad enough, but then to have the manager go out of her way to email me and basically say "actually it's your fault" - DISGUSTING Here is the email I was sent: I understand you had booked 2 rooms through a third-party booking agency and ended up having both rooms cancelled as the hotel is in fact no longer pet friendly. It is very unfortunate that you had been given incorrect information about the hotel's pet policy via the third-party website, as Best Western Fallsview no longer accepts pets. I apologize for the inconvenience this caused during you family vacation, however it is advisable to contact the hotel directly to inquire about any changes that may not be reflected on third-party bookings sites prior to your arrival. Your reservations had been cancelled without any fees or charges.

« Going in the right direction »

We have been here many times and it was looking a bit dowdy, so the current, extensive upgrades should bring it back to good shape. This time we had a problem with noisy neighbors but a call downstairs stopped it in about 30 minutes. The staff here are always efficient and helpful. More feedback this time is that despite the discount coupons the in-house breakfast, run by others, is stupid expensive though pretty good. Parking fee is also expensive but reduced for BW members. The rooms have always been well sized with comfortable beds, so for this area is it by far the best value for a quick overnight stay.

    4
    « Great deal! »

We stayed at the Best Western Fallsview midweek with another couple. We were given adjoining rooms which was great for before dinner drinks. We were given large rooms on the 6th floor. Rooms are nothing fancy but clean and spacious. We used the $20 per couple at the Outback and the casino voucher. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

    4
    « BEST WESTERN.....BEST BEDS......CLEAN LARGE ROOMS »

We have stayed here multiple times over the last 4 years and always have been happy with our stay. The hotel has older decor but the rooms are very clean and large. The rooms have a balcony which is nice to sit out in the summer and keep your drinks cool in the winter. The hotel is located just a 5 minute walk to the Canadian & American falls, 1 minute to Fallsview Casino. Patricia the front desk Manager has always been very friendly, helpful and professional. This is a great place If your looking for a clean reasonably priced hotel to stay with the family or night out in the falls. This is a reasonably priced hotel not the $300-$400 a night bells and whistles hotel. Great value, serves us well and we continue to return.

Hotel was nice. It was undergoing some updates to rooms etc while we stayed but there was a considerable drop in price to compensate for any inconvenience. Parking was a little tight. Room was nice & clean.

A great experience. Very well managed hotel with very courteous staff. We enjoyed the convenience of the location . IHOP could better their menu and quality of the meals. May be not so great at after midnight. Over all a great stay. Inexpensive. stay. Will definitely come back.

« Not A Bargain (Many additional fees and costs) »

I'll give a bulleted list to make reading quicker: 1. There is not a view of the falls don't expect to see it from your room (the hotel is on a street named "Fallsview") not tall enough to have a view. 2. If you're booking because you believe you're getting a 'great deal' ask about all the additional charges or fees first. 3. Parking overnight? $15 at the hotel $5 across the street and at other lots (search for a better price or a hotel that includes parking) 4. Getting coupons for restaurants from the hotel? Fine print states discounts are only applied after you purchase two adult full meals. 5. There is no microwave or fridge on the premises so forget leftovers or warming meals. 6. Expect lots of people hanging out on balconies drinking and smoking on the weekend. 7. Want an extra cot pay an extra $30. 8. Spill something on their magazine? extra nearly $30 Just don't expect to get a 'true deal' staying here the place comes with loads of extra fees that don't explain the poor quality of the interior or exterior. The staff can be a bit on the rude side depending on who's at the counter. Some of the staff were great but there are a couple who need an extra break period to relax more. I would not recommend the stay.

    « Relaxing »

Went on a Mini Vacay with my sister to Niagara Falls, and stayed at the Best Western for 2 nights and 3 days had a very relaxing holiday, Not to close to the main strip, but not to far, about a 15 minute walk to Clifton Hill, right across the street from The new Casino . My only complaint was the price of food, Outrageous !!! DO NOT got to the IHop that is attached to the hotel. 52.00 for breakfast ...Yes you read that correct 11.00 for 2 chocolate milks, go around the corner to the all you can eat for 6.99 best breakfast around. Hotel was easy to find, 42.00 for parking for 3 days, Rooms are very clean and lots of room , My only complaint was the beds, Very outdated and uncomfortable, if you need a good bed to sleep on Don`t stay here. The bed even hurt us to sit on it. the hotel needs a face lift , carpet is on the walls in the hallways . on a positive note .....Tim Horton`s was directly behind the hotel, 5 minute walk.

    3
    « Location!! »

I assume this hotel is under renovations so it's not the most visually appealing in the hall ways. The rooms themselves were clean but had poor lighting and the washrooms were nice. The heater didn't work very well so the rooms were freezing at night. One pro was the showers, water was always hot which is good. The staff at front desk were nice but one thing that really bothered me was getting a noise complaint at 11pm on a Friday night with a warning of a $200 charge if it happens again, mind you I could hear people sneezing through those walls... Also I wouldn't recommend the ihop at this location. Service was slow and food did not appear fresh which didn't make sense to me.. close to empty restaurant with slow service and room temperature food? The only thing that was hot on my plate was the plate itself. All in all the only things I actually like about this hotel was the location itself and the free wifi. Everything is in walking distance so that 'sonly reason why I would recommend this hotel.

    4
« Handled our complaint promptly! »

Overall good experience. Hotel under construction and noisy outside the building. We were going to move to a new hotel and instead we were moved to a room with a nice view of the falls and no construction noise. Will be great when construction is complete! Felt very safe, walked to Clifton Hills and Casino late at night...no problems.

    4
« Great potential but under construction »

Location was great - right by the Fallsview Casino which is great and convenient for all the amenities - food, casino, bars, shopping. Hotel room was HUGE! - outstanding The building we were in was under construction which was kind of annoying but only for aesthetic reasons (no one was working or making noise) Great prices for where you are located! The crowd that stayed there seemed to be younger (like us) who were just there to sleep after being out all night! - Im sure there were families too but I didn't see many where we were staying.

    1
« Old hotel rooms with worst service »

The hotel staff is not at all courteous to guests. They make you check-in at 4 PM and check-out at 11 AM? To top it, they can't even extend a complimentary late check-out unless you pay $30. So, be ready to get up early morning and leave the room early to save $30. The rooms are so old and the hotel looks more like an inn or hostel rather than a 3 star property. Also, take your cutlery with you because the hotel does not provide any plates, glasses etc. There is no microwave or fridge in the room unlike some of the other Best Western properties. You are better off staying at some other hotel and spending few bucks more so that you can enjoy your vacation time.

    3
    « One night stay »

This hotel is being remodeled on the outside and inside. It was a little annoying on Saturday morning when they started working on the outside. It was very loud banging. The elevator we had to go down kept passing us up but we finally got on the 4th try. The halls are going to be painted but they are just primed. The staff was good though. Loved the shower pressure.

    2
« If you want to party then go here »

It was like a party house. The hotel is run down, things are broken, toilet was moving, no heat, carpet was stained and sticky. I mean a lot of stains, not just one. All in all a bad experience, not for a family that is for sure.

    4
    « Groupon Deal »

I previously booked this hotel for our family and went on to Groupon to discover a smoking deal! We saved over $1000! The room was huge and beds were very comfortable...again we were only sleeping there. I really liked the fact there was an extra sink outside the bathroom so someone could wash up, do makeup and/or hair while someone was showering. The balcony for our room was facing the parking lot and pretty loud. We would definitely stay here again...

« Exceeded expectations and excellent value! »

I stayed here one night and took a chance on this hotel since I wanted proximity to Fallsview Casino and can safely say exceeded expectations. 1. Was given 6th floor, 2 queens with spacious clean room, (almost a suite) and large bathroom 2. Front desk check in AND check out was friendly 3. Fallsview casino was 3 minute walk The place was under renovation for repainting but I'm not a stickler for that. One of the best Best Westerns I've stayed at, not sure why there are so many complaints about this place. Disregard any complaints about this place. Inside tip: Check the pricing of parking across the road before paying the parking at the hotel. Vote "yes" if you found this helpful, I always do!

    « SMOKING SCAM! DON'T STAY HERE!! »

I've stayed at this hotel many times before and have never had a problem but I will never will stay here or any other Best Western again. Let me preface this by telling you neither me or my boyfriend smoke. I realized my credit card was maxed 3 days after our stay here and thought the deposit was still on hold. I called and talked to a Dan Jennings and he informed me that no, we were smoking in our room and we were responsible for this now. I told him no, we don't smoke EVER and there was some kind of mistake..he did not listen, he just kept repeating "the charge stands". I called Best Western corporate and they informed me they talked to Dan and the charges would not be reversed. There was "evidence" of smoking..a residual smell they told me and I would have to pay. I am writing this to warn anyone who is thinking about staying in this place. Don't do it, it's not worth the gamble. They can add this charge to your credit card and there's nothing you can do about it. $226.00 for not smoking.

« Don't Stay here for at least the next 6 months.... »

If stayed at this hotel in the past and was very pleasantly surprised.. However I went to stay there again this past weekend on "loyalty offer" I was extremely disappointed with what I saw, the hotel is in complete renovation at this point in time and is more of a construction site with the walls torn apart electrical outlets hanging out of the sockets and the rooms were dirty and stained (I moved to two rooms before leaving for another hotel) We were paying for an upgraded "whirlpool" suite and received a "soaker tub" The customer service wasn't much better - the front desk was very dismissive with our comments and concerns.

    3
    « Good Value »

We stayed the night here for a Christmas Party in Niagara on the Lake. We got a Groupon Deal which was of good value. The room comes with vouchers but be sure to read all the fine print before you order coffee at the outlandishly expensive IHOP restaurant attached to the hotel and end up paying $10 for coffee after realizing you don't want to spend $40 on breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable and we used the indoor pool. Not a huge pool but was nice to be able to use that amenity. We would return.

    2
    « very tired hotel »

this Best Western is badly in need of some upgrading. Thankfully, there is some construction work going on, so hopefully in the not too distant future, things will improve. The sink was painful slow, we had no shampoo or bodywash in the containers on the tub/shower wall... we had to rent a refridgerator. Nothing at all matched in the room, a real modge podge of colours and designs. The carpeting was the worse. We were both glad we had packed our slippers. Sorry Best Western, but you need to step it up!

    4
« Great location and Value »

We have stayed here a few times before, and the hotel is clean with spacious rooms. Staff are excellent and always helpful. The location is key to us as near restaurants and the Fallsview casino. The hotel was doing some renovations but well marked and still easy to get around. Type of pillows need a review as we are used to a thin soft one and these were too hard and too thick, but that is our only complaint.

    5
    « Great Stay »

Stayed here close to casino as we had ticket to see the Christmas Show Had everything we needed for a good stay Large room 2 queen beds Clean bathroom. Would stay again This was our second time there. Got a great rate also. Parking a little much but got a reduced rate at check in.

    3
    « Good deal »

staff were very helpful, however outside appearance doesn't give the best first impression. we were also not aware that the hotel was under renovations. the patio doors were very loud and you could hear them in the surrounding rooms opening and closing. got a deal on groupon which was a very good deal, however it was a our first stay at the falls and we would have rather had a room with a few towards the falls, not necessarily overlooking really close but at least closer or a better view because from this hotel you couldn't see anything

    4
    « Great Location / Excellent Room »

Stayed at the Best Western Fallsview for one night and it was wonderful. The room was huge, beds were comfy and TV reception great. Only drawback was the fact that upon returning to our room on the sixth floor at 1:00pm from a swim (in our wet bathing suits) we found that the key card would not work. Had to go down to lobby and front desk (wet and in bathing suits) and get card reactivated. Was told that we should have came to desk at 11am since the cards are deactivated at check out time and need to be reset. We paid for late check out (2:30pm) and assumed key card would work until that time. It would have been nice to have been told that key card would need to be reactivated. Desk clerk was a little "short" with us and offered no apology for our inconvenience. Other than that little glitch, the stay was wonderful and we will be returning for New Years Eve!

    4
    « Will Stay Again »

We got to Niagara Falls five or six times per year. Love to stay at different places. We had a oversize room. Clean, comfortable. Good value for the money. Parking was $18 for a night which I thought was a little high. Coffee in the foyer. Happy with the stay.

    3
« Good deal Great Location »

This BW is located close to the Casino and restaurants. The room was ok. Dated and had an awkward set up but the bed was comfy. It is unfortunate that guests are allowed to smoke on their balconies as the odor prevented us from opening our balcony doors. We would stay here again.

    « Can't ask for much. »

We stayed for one night. The rooms are big and clean. The hotel looks old from the outside and the halls look dated but the rooms are fine. I liked how theveoom had two sinks. « Average hotel »

My wife arrived late on a Sunday night, we booked through Groupon and once there I noticed that the same deal we got was actually cheaper if you booked through the hotel itself, lesson learned. I worry a bit so the Friday before I called down just to confirm our reservations, like I do with every place we stay at, and was treated quite rudely on the phone like I was wasting the persons time on the other end of the phone. Upon arrival we where greeted at the front desk by the front desk manager a nice young lady that saved us almost $20 on parking, great deal! we then got our stuff from the car and headed to our room. we found out that the first floor was under a renovation, a little upset that no one told us but for the 2 nights we stayed it didn't effect us other then going to the pool, and that was only because you have to walk right by the front lobby in your bathing suits. After a long car ride we were looking forward to going into the hot tub but when we got there the water was green and smelled a bit. we thought that maybe their pool guy was off the Sunday and no chemicals were put into the tub but after a long day shopping the next night we went down and it was worse. The room was huge and a added bonus was the huge 2 person tub in the room that we didn't know about. the maid on the first day didn't clean our room because of my wife's PJ's where on her pillow (that she brought from home) which has never been a problem anywhere else we have stayed, the only thing that was done was the wet towels from in the tub where replaced and she left her nail that she broke off beside the tub. All in all the only thing that really bothered me was the broken nail, everything else not really expected but didn't really bother us since we are constantly booking on sites that offer cheep rates and you get what you pay for!

    3
« Great stay for price »

The hotel is a bit outdated, but there was renovations where happening so I think in the future the interior will be more appealing. The beds where a bit stiff but the room was a great size and there was a balcony. Overall I would recommend this hotel to others.

    3
    « Weekend outing »

The hotel room was large and everything worked, except the bathroom sink which drained very slowly. Had a great view of the parking lot. $18 for parking??!! Our room was next to the ice machine which we could hear when used, lucky for us it was not warm that weekend. No free breakfast! WiFi did not work - not a big deal for us. This area has no place to park and when you find a place - you pay dearly. Plan your trip around a parking spot.

    2
« Tired and old but clean »

This hotel is showing it's age. Carpet and paint are old and tired. The first thing that strikes you when you enter the lobby is the large arcade off to the side. The complimentary coffee station was a disaster the couple of times that I walked by it, but the check in clerk was very friendly and helpful. This is a four storey low rise building with a lot of people hanging out on the balconies. I was there in mid-October but I get the impression that it would be a noisy place in the peak season. Despite the name there is no view of the falls from this hotel. It has an on-site IHOP restaurant which I attempted to patronize, but after being ignored for almost ten minutes at my table, I left and went to the Tim Horton's behind the hotel.

    3
« Hotel Within Walking Distance to Casino and Restaurants »

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Found deal on Travel Zoo. We were warmly greeted at reception desk. I had many questions because I had previously read about this hotel on the net. We did not have any of these problems. Noticing stair on the outside and inside of hotel I was worried. I was explained that If we parked at the back of the first building there was a ramp and the middle elevator was situated there. Also given a ticket for windshield and no parking payment a saving of $40. We had no problems with waiting for elevators. Some wait time is to be expected. Our room 676 was large. It contained 2 queen size beds, storage, television, table and 2 comfortable chairs, patio door, balcony with 2 chairs, free wifi. The washroom had double sinks, shower in tub. The hallway carpets were stained but the hotel is under renovations. Floor 1 is now being worked on. This hotel has 2 pools (indoor and outdoor). IHOP restaurant is found inside (Expensive breakfast). Coupons for various restaurants given and some we used.

    3
    « November Visit »

The room was comfortable and spacious but a bit dated. A very small TV for such a big room. TV reception poor at best. Within walking distance of everything. Note: Just a street view available, definitely nothing special. Picked this hotel as a WAGJAG offer. Even with a discount coupon, don't eat at the IHOP. Very bland unappealing breakfast. They just increase the prices to cover the discount. Better bet is to walk to Applebees. The rate on room is misleading. They add on a $ 10.18 room charge and $18. parking per night

    3
    « Huge rooms »

Overall the hotel is very dated - it is undergoing some renovations. The front desk staff was very friendly and knowledgable. Parking is $18 but we parked at the casino it's a quick walk. The rooms are huge!! If you have kids and need some space these rooms certainly offer it!

« Outlet Mall Shopping Trip »

The Hotel was very comfortable. It is in a great location. Walking distance to the Falls, Falls view Casino, Skylon Tower, Clifton Hill and many other attractions. The Hotel is a bit dated but they were starting to do some renovations to update the place. The beds were very comfortable but the carpets could use updating. The rooms were very spacious but it could have used a desk for our laptop. there was a table and 2 chairs but a desk would have been nicer and there was plenty of room to add one. We were there for a shopping trip so we did not spend much time in the hotel. We booked this on Expedia and got a great deal for $50 per night. We did have to pay for parking but if you join their rewards club you get it for $10 per night vice $18. The iHop restaurant was a nice place to eat but a little pricey. But because of the booking on Expedia we received 3 x $15 coupons and another for $20 off at the out back Steak house and we used them all. So if you are just looking for a nice clean and convenient place to lay you head for a few nights I would recommend this location.

« A great stay in this hotel! »

We had a great stay in this hotel. The room was wonderful, no noise from the hallway, beds were so comfortable, and the room was clean. The staff was great. If i were to go back to Niagara Fall, I would definitely stay here. The location was great too close to all main attractions. Overall, I had a great time staying at this place. This place is highly recommended.

« They went above and beyond! »

So my boyfriend and I ended up staying here as a second choice because he had booked with Quality Inn Fallsview Cascade. However, once arriving at the Quality Inn they had cancelled our reservation without any notice! The best western came to the rescue. We were not looking for anything from them, but we told them our story, we were upgraded in our room and they gave us a whole bunch of dining vouchers as well as found a way to get us cheaper parking. I am so beyond the moon impressed with the customer service of this hotel! Even the manager was there when when we were checking out and was asking how everything went! This is definitely somewhere I will visit again! They know how to treat people right!

    « Under Construction »

Just stayed at the Fallsview BW for my fourth time. The hotel is going through a much needed facelift. I stayed on the first floor and the hallways (which were covered in carpet) are all torn up......Looks like they are redoing the decor.....The back parking lot is also partially torn up and fenced off as well. The room I stayed in (2 queen beds) looked the same as the last visit. These rooms are clean and quite large but could use an upgrade on the furniture and decor. This hotel is right across the street from Fallsview Casino and Jimmy Buffets restaurant and many more. It's all about location and compared to most other hotels on this street it is always much much cheaper. If you are just looking for a place to crash/sleep after a long night out, then this hotel will work for you. If you want the upscale accommodations, and are prepared to pay more money then look elsewhere The staff are always friendly and accommodating.... Never had any issues with this. When I travel with the boys, this is my go to hotel.... When travelling with my wife we stay other places

    « Met our expectations »

I would define this hotel as a motel type property with balconies looking over the parking lot or street. As per previous reviews, there is no view of the falls, but it is located on Fallsview Blvd close to all the amenities and night life. The location was perfect for our one-night stay. The staff both at the front desk and the cleaning staff were very helpful. This in not a new property, so our door was difficult to open as it "stuck", one of the entrance doors to the property did not work from the outside(but staff helped us in). The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and we had a good night sleep. The hotel offered free wifi, but parking was not included in our package. We did book our stay through Travelzoo and were offered many coupons and took advantage of every offer.

    « great location »

This hotel is in a great location in Niagara Falls - close to Fallsview Casino and many restaurants. The overall value is very good with casino coupon and restaurant/winery coupons. Although the hotel is undergoing some renovations in the halls, the rooms are large and beds are comfortable.

    « Good Overall Value-Good Location »

Best Western Fallsview has spacious rooms with comfy beds. My only suggestion is that they add microwave/refrig to the rooms to add to the comfort level. You do pay for parking at this hotel (like most hotels in the Niagara Falls area), but they charge half price if you are a Best Western rewards member.

    « Great stay! »

My girlfriend and I stayed here after dealing with a terrible customer service experience at another hotel nearby. The staff at the front desk were very helpful, upgraded our room at no charge after I had talked about my bad expereience at another nearby hotel. They also got me a deal on parking and gave vouchers for restaurants and activites in the area. Our room was quite nice! The location of this hotel is great! Very good budget priced hotel with great staff! I would definitley stay here again!

« Great bang for your buck »

-Great price -Perfect central location -Clean room -Beds comfy -Large room, extremely spacious and great setup in washroom area/getting ready area -Nice helpful staff -No bar fridge put a damper on things/ice machine running out of ice Don't eat at the IHOP even if you get vouchers....bill for 4 for breakfast $120! OUTGAGEOUS!!!!!

« Run down old and smelly »

We just got back from a hockey tournament and we stayed in this hotel. Lucky for us it was in our own car. Others were not so lucky, 2 people from the hotel had their vehicles stolen the first night we were. They never found them. The next night security was more worried about noise then protecting the parking lot. The picture they show is the nicest part of the whole hotel. It's old ,smelly and rundown . The elevators were so slow that we just walked the 4 flights of stairs. All of the ice machines sounded like they were going to rattle themselves apart. The hallways were very hot . The indoor pool was like a sauna . Unbearable to sit in . The Ihop restaurant was way over priced . They also charge a tourist tax that is optional to pay but don't tell anyone unless they refuse to pay it ,such a scam .

« Budget Hotel to stay in Niagara »

    1. Staff was courteous. 2. Ambience was just Ok. 3. From room to lobby, one have to pass through parking. 4. There was not water in vending machine, which was slightly disappointing. Overall, an average hotel to stay.

    3
    « Pricing »

I receive emails with deals $79.00 a night. When I booked we were not even close to that price yes we were a family but still. Also i think 20.00 dollars extra for parking is a bit much especially when you have to find a spot everytime you leave.

    « Okay for what I paid. »

The hotel is in an excellent location, quick walk to Falls and Lundy Ave. The room was updated, the rest of the hotel, not so much. No view of the falls from hotel...the room was big and clean. I got a groupon so for the price it was fine. i would not stay there again though. I would pay more for a nicer hotel. Perfect location!! If you get a room for $50 or less it is fine.

« Good Value, Needs Work »

My wife and I stayed here last week of October. Couldn't beat the price or central locationstreetand they really need to upgrade some of the amenities. To be fair, they are renovating the basement level, so there was some issues with the cable and internet connections. This was coupled with high winds for two of the days we were there. However, charging $10/day for refrigerator rental and no microwave oven on the property is unacceptable. Overall, the room itself was clean, but the hallway carpets could use a cleaning. Also, although it's not too appealing to the eye, the hallway walls are carpeted, which helps muffle any noise from reaching the rooms. Big problem: the lobby has no interior handicap access to the rooms. It's located a half floor below the first floor and half above the basement level where the pool is. The pool was not accessible from the rooms either because of renovations. I was on crutches and had to use stairs to access the lobby from the room. Overall, I would recommend this location purely on value and location. The WEGO busses run two different routes close by and you can get around without getting into your car. Fallsview Casino is diagonally across the street and there are at least 25 restaurants within walking distance. Don't forget that IHOP is connected directly to the rooms on the first floor by elevator.

« Great hotel for the price. »

We stayed there for Halloween this year. We had a queen room. Room was big, clean and comfortable. Nice to have a balcony to be able to go out and get some fresh air without having to go downstairs. Our room had a coffee maker, saved me a walk to Tim's for my wife's morning coffee. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location nice hotel good value . Would def reccomend this hotel . The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are super comfy. The hotel is fairly priced . We enjoyed our stay and will be returning again

    « great location »

Its in a great location and it has a balcony so if you smoke you can just step outside and smoke. Its also great for people watching. Having said that it needs a huge renovation done ,its getting very run down. But the location kind of makes up for that.

    « Pleasantly Suprised! »

We booked to stay 1 night at the Best Western on a trip to the falls with 2 other family members. We came across a deal on Groupon offering a King room for $50/night. We decided to go ahead and book this but we were not expecting anything great. On arrival we were warmly greeted at reception and given vouchers towards dining and the casino. When we dropped our bags at the room we were amazed at how clean and large it was. There was also a giant juccuzzi tub in the middle! Not expected at all for $50! 5 min walk from the falls and bars/casino. Overall, we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

    5
« Great location, great value »

This is our second stay at Best Western Fallsview and both experiences have been excellent. A slightly dated property, but you can't beat the location across and down the street from everywhere you need to go. We definitely look here first when planning to a trip to The Falls, Check out their promotions in conjunction with the casino and nearly restaurants and attractions.

« Good for a long weekend stay »

Good stay, comfortable beds, great location. No falls view thought. Pool it's very small and looks Cloudy, the rooms in the addition are better than the ones in the first building try to get one of those. The hotel is ok for a long weekend stay.

    2
    « A tired property with a an OUTRAGEOUSLY overpriced ``Mini Mart `` »

Rooms are dated and worn. The `MiniMart`` is insultingly expensive. Eg. Small bottle of ginger ale $3.10 ! Bag of potato chips $6.00 !! Even Mac`s and 7-11 are cheaper. Stay away from this rip-off joint!

    « Location , location , location »

Stayed here one night. Great location . A little tired looking but clean room. Walking distance to falls , casino & restaurants. Heat was a little wonky in our room so we opened our sliding doors to cool off our room. Thermostat was ineffective :-(. Breakfast (IHop) was yummy but cost almost as much as our dinner the night before at a nice restaurant down the road. Room does not include parking .

    « Good Location »

When you're visiting Niagara Falls, the only thing you really need is a good location. This hotel is a short walk away from the falls, and a short walk away from many of the other attractions, so it's worth a stay.

    3
    « clean and efficient »

food very expensive.Breakfast for 2 $50.00Good location, near everything, room was clean, not too noisy, did find it a bit warm even with heating turned way down. used the 48 hrs pass to the bus system wich was supplied by hotel.

« Our first visit to Niagara Falls area »

Fallsview is located in a very good locale. It's clean and spacious, at a good price. Located close to loads of different types of resturants. The falls are located closeby- just a few minutes walk away. The casino is also nearby- 2 minutes away.

    3
« Not bad, great location! »

The wife and I been going her for years now! We have no problem with this place! We find that it's clean and has what we are looking for! And the location is perfect!! This hotel needs to get updated. Ihops is expensive and we found hair in our daughter food. But they did try and make it better by not charging for her plate. But at the end of the day the hotel isn't bad! We like coming here cause they are one of the few hotels that most of if not all rooms have balconies! And for us being smokers with a child a balcony is sweet! We have and do recommend this hotel to a lot people.. This isn't the Hilton but we sure do like it!

    2
    « Ok. »

The good -location -service -attached arcade -discount for local attractions The bad - very gross hallway -hot tub and pool are DISGUSTING! Like a thick black layer of grime around edges. -nasty parking surprise of $20 a day -Attached IHOP cost $80.00 for 3 people to have bacon and eggs with coffee and juice. - Rooms need major overall work.

    2
    « niagara falls »

Bathroom shower and toilet area very poor quality. Toilet paper could not be reached without standing. Shower was almost like a portable one. Water temperature was impossible to regulate. Rug had burns on it from an iron.

    3
« Average stay with expensive parking surprise »

The rooms in the newer building are very big and decent. The carpets are filthy so keep your shoes on in your room. Checked in and was hit with a surprise $18 parking tab. I found that outrageous. If parking was free I would probably stay as the rate was good.

    2
    « Definitely NOT a Bargain! »

If you're thinking of visiting Niagara Falls anytime soon, think twice before booking a room at this hotel. It's noisy, outdated and the hallways are quite gungy looking with ugly yellowed carpeting on the walls of all places. The staff is quite friendly & helpful, but not very well trained in the tailored duties of bed making or cleaning in the corners. If you're just wanting to crash, sleep, eat and party, then feel free, but, if you are wanting to have a truly restful and enjoyable experience, do yourself a favour and pass on this one!

    3
« Decent at reduced price on WagJag »

A bit run down, stained carpets, has a terrible Ihop in the lobby - avoid that. At the WagJag price its worth it, but dont expect fancy, up to date or luxury. If I came back I'd shop around. They charge for parking yet its their lot, in effect a surcharge.

    2
« Good Location but rooms less than deserable »

We booked this hotel using air miles, what a mistake. The hallways were very outdated and the room had a small balcony and was not updated. The shower was pressure controlled and you could barely get the soap of your body let alone if you were female wash your hair. The left tub knob in the tub kept falling off and the toilet kept moving every time you sat on it. The was an extra charge of $18.00 a night to park, ridiculous. At this Best Western there is no complimentary breakfast. The cost of Breakfast at IHop's restaurant which is attached to this Best Western is unbelievably priced. For two people with a standard breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 toast, 2 bacon + coffee or tea would cost you an unbelievable $40.00 + tip, ridiculous. Probably the best thing I can say about this hotel the falls and Clifton Hill and other sites are 5-10 minutes away. Try to look for promotions on line from other companies and go to a different hotel. I would be hard pressed to give this hotel a good rating. We personally will never stay there again

« Nice rooms....just close your eyes in the hallways »

The location of this hotel is fabulous and they have been running some fabulous specials. Our room was quite big and had a table and a couple of club chairs and still lots of room to move around. The hallways leading to it were gross with stained carpet and a tan carpet all the way up the walls!! The biggest complaint about the room is that there were no shears. We were on the ground level...so you either had a pitch dark room because the black out curtains were drawn or everyone walking by saw into your room. Put up some shears, please! Now we have not been to Niagara Falls in 20 years but we were pretty bummed about what the place has turned into.....all American restaurant chains...tacky shops...it had the feel of a boardwalk in a town like Ocean City but without the boardwalk. And the partying!!! We were there on Canadian Thanksgiving weekend but the amount of very loud partying was quite disappointing. We were woken up several times by the noise. I love the falls and you have to be an idiot not to be impressed by them by if I go again, I would stay in Niagara on the Lake, visit the falls, and then go back to the peace and quiet and beauty of Niagara on the Lake. The Niagara Falls area feels like Atlantic city to me and that is not a good thing.

    4
    « Rooms »

Bit outdated, clean. comfortable bed, and good employees . Just down hill to falls and all sites and attractions. There is a charge for Parking, but everywhere charges also. Look for promotions online for discounts on certain days.

    2
« Good location but very poorly inside! »

We stayed here for one night. The room itself was pretty cheap but they charged us $21.36 for 1 night parking!!! Don't park there because we see other parking lots for much cheaper. During the check in, the front desk person was cold and unfriendly. I felt like she didn't want us to stay there or maybe she had something against us! For the room itself, it is old and dirty! The "super wrinkled" bed sheets (both beds) looked like it was not freshly washed. I just can't think of anything good to say except the location!

« We love Best Western Fallsview »

My wife and I visit the falls maybe 4 times per year. Once we found the Best Western Fallsview, we stopped looking.. We love everything about this place.. the pools the comfortable beds the location and the staff. Oh and you can't forget the amazing deals you get when you book the loyalty packages..

« ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE**** TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!!!! »

Absolutely HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !! On Saturday night october 10'th a friend of mine asked if I could help find him a last minute reservation because he wanted to celebrate his birthday in Niagara Falls. I call the Best Western Fallsview to make a reservation and Booked a room which includes 2 Queen sized beds and paid the $240 with a credit card. On the way to Niagara we had some car trouble( Radiator blew up in the middle of the highway ). I called the Best Western at Fallsview 1 hour after making my reservation and asked if we could get a partial refund or even rebook for a later date, the Receptionist ( ANDY : WHITE LADY WITH GLASSES ) said that this was not possible and there was nothing she could do for us, I thanked her and said we would be arriving but maybe a little later than expected. I had to get the car toed back to my house, hopped in my other car and made the trip again ? Upon arrival the receptionist said that I had stated I would not be able to make it and that she had given our room away to another customer. She had moved us to a single bed suite and said that we had no choice but to take the room and deal with management at 8am the following morning. After checking the room and realizing it was too small and not what we paid for, I went back and insisted we either got a refund or the original room that we had paid for. She spent almost an hour telling us there was nothing that could be done until finally admitting they had an extra room that they could offer us ( the same room we paid for ) ( 2 Queen sized beds ). We Finally checked in ( My friend and I ). As soon as we had checked in we had two of our friends come to visit us with a few drinks to celebrate our friends birthday, 5 minutes later we get a call from Management stating they want to charge us an addition $12 per person ( for 4 PEOPLE ) assuming our visitors were undeclared guests for the night. We go back downstairs and they accuse us of trying to cheat the hotel by not declaring the additional 2 guests. We spend almost 2 hours arguing back and forth with a Black lady at the reception (KAYLA). In my whole life I have never met such a person in hospitality with such a disrespectful, arrogant, and abusive behaviour. She said that she " Did not care what we had to say and that she was charging us the $12 per person for four people and if we refused she would send security up to our room in 1 hour to escort our guests outside the hotel as it was COMPANY POLICY NOT TO HAVE ANY VISITORS AFTER 12AM ). She continued to argue with us for almost another hour. After a significant amount of time had gone by and we could not reach a reasonable conclusion with such an unreasonable staff member I agreed to pay the additional $12 per person just so I could get on with our night and try to enjoy what had remained of it. After paying the additional charge I asked if I could get 2 extra keys since I had paid for 2 additional guests, Kayla's response was simply : NO ! At that point her manager orders her to give us the additional keys as she was pushing her attitude to extremely rude limits. UNBELIEVABLY HUMILIATING AND DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE: TO SUM IT UP .. I CALL THE HOTEL ASKING FOR SPECIAL CONSIDERATION AFTER MY RADIATOR BLOWS UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD.. 1)THEY DID NOT OFFER ME A PARTIAL REFUND AFTER STATING I HAD AN EMERGENCY 2)THEY DID NOT OFFER ME A BOOKING AT A LATER DATE 3) THEY GIVE MY ROOM AWAY TO OTHER CUSTOMERS WI 4) THEY CHARGED US $48 FOR HAVING 2 VISITORS FOR 5 MINUTES 5) THEY LIED TO US CONSTANTLY. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I didn't care about any of the money they robbed us of, it was the overall attitude and horrible customer hospitality that was appalling. Especially from "Kayla". Any respectable hotel would instantly fire someone like her and replace her with a monkey to better fill her position. I AM NEVER GOING BACK !!! NOR AM I RECOMMENDING THEM EVER AGAIN !!

« Great Rate makes it much better. »

We chose this hotel due to it's location. It's right across from the casino and walking distance to my in laws. I worked and my wife was seeing her family during the day. The mattresses are new and very comfortable. The pillows could use an upgrade but they worked. The decor of the room is rather bland, but the shower was newer and had great water pressure. The elevators are slow so if you are on the 6th floor like us, it can be a wait. I had a very good stay here to be honest but if you plan on staying in your room more and want fancy this is not the place. But if you want a great rate, large room and close to everything then this will be what you are looking for. The restaurant is overpriced immensely even with the $10 voucher your meal with still be about 30% more than normal. We didn't use the pool but it looked good. There is a daily parking charge of $20.00 but if you are a diamond member it is only $10.00

    3
« A bit old but ok otherwise »

The hotel is in a great location but the rooms may need some touch up/reno. The staff members are friendly. It is ok to stay here for couple of days, visiting the Niagara Falls area. The Fallsview Casino is just steps away, so are other major attractions, such as restaurants and Clifton Heights street.

    3
« Average Hotel, Excellent Staff »

The hotel itself is very old, kind of run down, but for the price, it's a good play to stay, close to the Niagara Falls and Clifton Hill area. The front desk staff is probably what made mine and my friends night. The front desk guy (Trevor, Tyler, or Terrence, can't recall), was amazing! He gave us an upgraded room because it was my bachelorette party (7 22-26yo women) and was very professional but also funny and cute! He was a doll, and we'd love to be helped again next time by him! Were thinking about driving down and spending a few nights there again just because he made everything so great! This hotel is definitely one of the best in the area for price, and customer service!

    4
    « Out for a night »

The hotel overall was ok, but other things were outrages. The only other hotel that I had to pay for parking was in Chicago. Not even in New Orleans was I required to pay for parking. The other was the cost of the food at your restaurant, I Hop. In the city that we live in the I Hop is about 1/3 to 1/2 the cost. I guess its welcome to Niagara Falls.

    2
    « Disappointed »

Surprised how old hotel is. Only good thing is room was a nice size. No accommodations for anyone disabled. Also have to pay for parking car in lot as a guest. I think that is ridiculous. Food available in IHOP. Limited menu. Waitress not at all friendly. But this is par for the course. Canadians do not like Americans. If I go to see the falls again, I will stay elsewhere. The carpets had big stains. The whole place was just gross. Canada may be pretty, but give me the good old USA anytime.

Positive: Location, beds, tv, wifi. Negative: Rough hallway, access to room, noise. Overall, not bad as long as you can get a good deal. I don't know about other rooms in the hotel, but the noise from the adjacent room was probably the worst I've experienced.

    2
    « Bad Customer Service »

Arrived at this hotel and went to check in. The room that I had reserved on the TELEPHONE, with an employee was not what I was told. The guy at the counter went and got a woman who I assume was some kind of manager, boy was I wrong. I asked her what we could do about the problem and she proceeded to tell me that I could just cancel my reservation and go somewhere else. She did not make no attempt to help me out. I had to suggest a solution to the problem and she finally agreed after treating me like an idiot. Where is the customer service in this hotel? I work in retail and we do whatever possible to keep our customers happy so they will come back. When we did go to our rooms we found the hallways had a very bad smell and the carpets were filthy! I asked the women cleaning the rooms and she said that they were stained. She told me that the rooms she was in charge of were clean and to her credit they were fairly clean. The cleaning staff was the only ones who had a smile for us, (her and the girl in the giftshop). The front staff need to learn some manners and be taught how to smile. I will never stay there again I don't care how cheap they are. I will find a hotel who appreciates my business.

    3
    « OK for a short stay »

Planning a short stay you will be satisfied more than 2 or 3 days would be tough it is in the heart of the Casino district all pubs and eatery's are over priced the cliental are not there to have a vacation atmosphere they come to gamble and some are not happy campers we came for a show only my wife only gambled her free gamble tokens given by the hotel. Hotel Parking is an extra charge of $20.00 that I do not like but it is understandable as others who are not staying at the BW would try and park for free and take the short walk to the Casino. The staff was friendly but did not have vacation welcome faces that we get when on a real holiday where gambling is not the reason for your trip.
