The hotel was very clean. Rooms were well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was extremely professional and helpful. They answered my phone calls promptly and in a professional manner.

Everything was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well equipped. The location is perfect for our visit to Newmarket - close to our family, extremely close to many shops and the big Upper Canada Mall.

I stayed here for one night on a business trip and I was very impressed. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and had great pillows. I've stayed at hotels with lumpy old pillows but that was not the case here. The location cannot be beat as it's right across from Upper Canada Mall with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Overall, I would definetly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Newmarket!

The hotel is located at the crossroads of Yonge Street and Davis Drive (Hwy 9 and 11). Opposite Upper Canada Mall, the main mall in the region. Also just 5 minutes from Southlake Hospitel, the reason I stay there. Good restaurant attached .

The Best Western Voyageur Place Hotel is ideally located on Yonge Street just below Davis Drive and is close to everything! The staff are professional and helpful. The rooms are immaculately clean, nicely appointed with both a fridge and a microwave. The Internet and TV's are excellent. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms have shampoos, conditioners, lotion, mouthwash, soap - everything you need for your stay. I highly recommend them!

The pull out couch was the worst thing. It should not even be an option. You feel every cross brace and there is no structure to the mattress. The room was overall clean and the pillows were very comfortable. Be careful as to which part of the hotel you stay at. It has a hotel tower and a “motel” section that was not very favorable from or friends that were traveling with us.

A little mixed feelings about the building as the front is hotel and the back is motel. For the experience, we had boardrooms to hang out in and the staff was extremely accommodating. A good place for the price.

Don't let the facade fool you. Rooms were really clean, showers hot and beds very comfortable. The staff are exceptional! They seemed to enjoy working there. Breakfast at the restaurant was simple, yet very tasty. Definitely a go to place again for the area!

Wonderful staff both warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean. The beds were super comfortable! We enjoyed the coffee provided in the room. It was spacious with good ventilation. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Outstanding customer service in the morning by dream team Souphine and David. I arrived early and they did everything they could to take care of me, giving me options to accommodate. Very pleasant and professional, it is rare these days to find great customer service and staff who really go the extra mile with a smile. This was in contrast to the three people on the later shift, who were very involved in their personal conversations behind the counter, and did nothing to help any of the guests that I observed in the lobby throughout the afternoon and evening. That included me struggling with the trolly and luggage: not one of the three budged to lend a hand. I'm honestly not sure what they are being paid for. The room was very clean and everything was working properly. I had a great nights sleep. The bed was extremely comfortable, it was quiet and the black out curtains are terrific. The location is very convenient and I stay at this location every time I'm in Newmarket. You have your choice at this hotel of staying inside the main building or there are also rooms that you can drive up to and have direct outside access, like a motel. The room was very clean. Close to all amenities. My wife being disable with difficulty walking, they accommodated her with all her needs. I have been staying here one a month for nearly three years and never had a complaint.

Stayed for 4 nights. Hotel is dated but nice and cozy. Very good location for shopping. Upper Canada Mall is just across the street. Easy to connect high way . Lots of parking spots. Friendly and helpful staffs .

We stay at this hotel whenever we're in the Newmarket area. The location is perfect - in the heart of everything. We can walk to most things. The staff are wonderful - friendly, professional, efficient. The rooms are always super clean and everything is in good repair.

Beyond exceptional service. Rooms are super clean and there is a coffee maker, fridge, smart low port efficient appliances. TV service included (but I didn't use it much). The location is very close to Upper Canada Mall and few other places I normally hang out. The less than 5 start on the service is because I haven't asked for any special requests.

This Best Western is in a great location for when I do business in that area. My room is always clean and the staff is top notch. They make you feel very welcome and do their upmost to make sure that your stay is perfect

A Great place to stay! Always a Friendly Welcome when you arrive! The Staff here are always willing to help and do so in every way possible and with a Smile on their face. They do their Absolute Best to Accommodate their guests in every way possible. The Lobby and Rooms are always nice and clean, the beds are very comfortable so you'll wake up refreshed and ready to go the next morning. Everything you need as far as shopping or restaurants are all close by so no need to drive all over the city looking for something. Even a grocery store within a two minute walk if need be. I've stayed at many hotels over the years and seen many places where you run into RUDE and Non Caring Staff but you won't find that here. Management obviously does a Wonderful job and it shows in their Staff. 14-16 stays in 2022 and probably 18 stays in 2021 why look for another place when you get treated right each and every time. The staff at this hotel are amazing especially the front desk. I have never felt so welcome at a hotel. The hotel itself is comfortable and worth the price. The restaurant on the ground floor was full of wonderful staff and great breakfast selection. The location is perfect with the mall across the street and restaurants nearby

Very nice little hotel with an excellent restaurant on the main floor available during daytime hours. Rooms are comfy cosy with impeccable bed linens, pillows and overall cleanliness. This is my go-to hotel in this area.

This hotel is a good place to stay. The rooms are very nice, very clean and have a welcoming feel to them. Be aware that there is no food after 2:30 pm so do not arrive hungry as checkin is after 3pm. That being said, the restaurant is opened at 7:30am for breakfast and stays open for lunch. The food is good and it is a more upper class dining venue. Very nice! Our 1st morning our appointment was to early so breakfast there wasn't an option, had it opened an hour earlier it would have been no problem. The hotel boasts about the on-site restaurant, but again, the hours do not suit the average traveler. Another beef, covid has past by over a year but protocols are still in place. No room service during your stay. If you require any amenities including bedding you have to call the front desk and they will leave it outside your door for you to attend to it!

Our stay was very convenient and nice. The staff were excellent and the service was great. We would definitely stay again next time we're in the area and will always recommend to family and friends any time they're in need of lodging.

We attending this hotel with a large group. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond. The friendliness of the staff was more than we could expect. The night staff made sure we were all taken care of and could enjoy our time in the hotel. Thank you to the staff that I really should have got their names. I apologize I didn't, to direct praise correctly would have been better on my part.

All was excellent, very pleased we chose to stay at this hotel for this trip. We were very comfortable there. Clean, comfortable, and easy access parking directly at the door of the room. Very convenient when returning from an outpatient procedure. Great rate.

Everything was perfect. Room cleanliness, helpful staff, internet was really good. Received free upgrade due to our handicaps. I was very pleased and pleasantly surprised with our overall stay. We will definitely book again at the end of the month for our next stay.

Stayed there with a group for a wedding. Hotel room was larger than expected and beds comfortable, with all the amenities needed. Was able to check in early and made change to name and payment of reservation without issue.

The hotel room here was so quiet! I barely heard any noise from the hallway and never heard anything from other rooms. I slept so well here! The internet also worked really well. So often in hotels I get disconnected or buffered but that never happened while at this hotel.

Had a room on the side by parking lot on bottom floor. Even though room was nonsmoking there was a heavy smell of smoke and there were cigarette butts close by door. Room was adequate but dated. Beds were fine and staff friendly. The view from back window was a dumpster. It was a place to sleep . Close to shopping and places to eat. Has a restaurant.

Beautiful facility! Clean and all who work there are friendly! The restaurant is a must try! Owners and staff are FABULOUS! We were in town for a wedding and were able to get all late check out. Front desk was so accommodating and by the time we left we felt like we made new friends! Highly recommend!

We got married nearby and needed a place to spend our night- what an unexpectedly great experience ! We were welcomed by a lovely receptionist in the early hours of the day. Our room was big and spacious with a spa bathroom (big bathtub with jets and rainfall shower). The hotel staff were amazing- they had decorated our room with chocolates/roses/bottle of bubbly. We were even given a voucher for breakfast the next day. We had originally been looking for a 5* hotel for our wedding night, but little did we know that this Best Western was going to be a 5* hidden gem ! Would definitely recommend !

Convenient location, check-in pre-registration option and the friendly greeting from Brooke when you arrive, makes this stay away feel like home. Besides the cleanliness and solid standard amenities, we were afforded a good nights' sleep with a very quiet room location and an a/c unit that you hardly knew was on. It's also little details, like a night light in the bathroom, and access to the Blue Jays channel that made our experience comfortable and enjoyable.

In short, it was a good hotel .A large room with comfortable and clean beds, the facilities inside the room are also good and recommendable. The distance to shopping centers is short, but the distance to downtown is long.

Clean, convenient location, good value. Staff friendly and professional. Our door had a once inch gap which allowed smoke to come in our room, but otherwise we were happy with our room and will be staying again.

Hotel was really "slummy" looking and the building was half motel and half hotel, which was odd. Not a lot of parking. Staff were friendly and efficient (although only dealt with them at check in and out). The room was super noisy with the air conditioner fan and bathroom fan... did not like that at all. The room had a musty kind of smell upon entry. Otherwise, acceptable.

This Hotel is situated on Yonge Street with lots of businesses, Coffee Shops and Restaurants and right opposite the Upper Canada Mall..fantastic! The rooms are clean and housekeeping is through. Bravo!

No breakfast included, scratchy sheets, and room furnishings that are looking worse for ware. Drunk people being loud outside rooms in parking lot at 2AM. Don't waste your money - book somewhere else.

This location has great service, staff are attentive and kind, right beside LCBO, many restaurants around. It's north of Toronto but I was working in Vaughan and Richmond Hill so was less than 30min from each location and that's a blessing in this heavy traffic/construction city. Would come back anytime.

We stayed two nights because my husband had to attend Southlake Regional Hospital for surgery and it is located close to hospital. It was very clean and a request for special item was attended to very quickly. Very friendly and helpful staff at front desk. Would recommend highly.

Our car was vandalized while parked in front of our room 111 on the evening of 2022/05/16. We advised the manager Pat Lusink that someone took a key or knife and dragged it across the rear end of our vehicle. She advised there are no security cameras on the property. She reminded us that we signed a waiver to park in the lot and then went onto say she couldn't be sure that it had happened on site, she parks in that spot often and had never experienced any vandalism to her vehicle. She concluded by saying that nothing could be done for us by way of compensation in any form. Only when I advised that perhaps she could show some empathy did she apologize. We stayed at the property for 2 days after the incident. I find it very frustrating that the manager never followed up with us. She clearly could use some additional training with regards to customer service. I would like to know if the incident of vandalism was reported to Best Western head office? Upon check out the front desk attendant was told of our circumstance, she immediately apologized and said she could offer us some points to try and make the situation better. To date I don't believe we have received any points. On a brighter note, Brooke who is the front desk attendant that checked us in is super. She's excellent at her job and it's obvious that she takes pride in what she does. Pat Lusink would benefit from spending some time with Brooke to learn how to treat clients with respect and kindness.

We used this hotel for guests to stay while attending our son's wedding. It was clean and front desk staff were pleasant and courteous. They were very helpful and went out of their way to accommodate our requests and needs.

The stay was very pleasant & the staff very forthcoming! They knew what I liked from earlier stays & kept records of personal details, making check-in quick & to the room types I targeted-they need rad my mind! Needed things were delivered simply using SMS-simply exceeding expectations!

Nice clean and bright room, white clean towels and bed sheets. Staff is friendly and approachable, on site parking, across the street from the mall. I will definitely stay in this hotel again. Breakfast next door was excellent.

I love BW been coming here for work since 2019, wouldn't have it any other way. House keeping is very accommodating and front desk guests services. They always try to make your experience a good one!!

Good location, extremely clean, very quiet, quick check-in and check-out. We would recommend to others. We wanted a peaceful overnight stay before one of our sons' dental surgery early the next morning.

Stayed overnight with family member having to present for early morning hospital admission. No issues with room or guest services. Close to hospital, mall, and other services. Breakfast at restaurant next door was excellent.

The rooms were nice. The staff were friendly. The hotel does not supply free breakfast. The hotel restaurant was very nice and the staff were great but some of the food was cold. Tea pot had one tea bag and they refilled water but no new bag. It is also a shelter hotel so expect noise.

My rating of excellence is foremost for the staff at this hotel. From my first contact with Brooke in making the reservation, to our check-in with Suphina and in requesting late check out, every experience with the staff was friendly and courteous. Hotel room was pretty standard, very clean, and nicely set up for a good night's sleep. On site parking is very convenient, and the location is great if you want to walk over and browse at the Upper Canada Mall, and as in my case, if you need to visit the Southlake Hospital and are from out of town. I would be remiss if I didn't mention “The Buttery” restaurant for their friendly service and tasty food.

Monte was not impressed with the accommodations. The motel ( tower room we were told) was rather old and in serious need of updating. It could be that Monte is used to finer establishments, and that perhaps for the layperson this is worthy of the #1 position. The staff were respectful and seemed eager to help, all the way to our checkout. But unfortunately, due to the general condition of the hotel, it will not be receiving Montes coveted 2 thumbs up.

Stayed at the Best Western in Newmarket was not sure about this hotel but we were very surprised by how clean it was and the room we had was very nice with one of the nicest bathrooms we have had.The hotel is older but well kept from what we saw,no free breakfast which would have been nice but a great old style restaurant on site.

Not bad. Staff A++ Friendly, helpful. Place was very clean. TV didn't work during the day, was fine at night. Quite area, no noise, no one bothered me. Beds were too hard for my liking. Pillows were too high, didn't sleep well.

If you are looking for a great , clean and friendly place to stay, this is the place to go! The place is very nice and even the bedspreads looked very clean which you don't see in many motels. This is the only place I leave my bedspread on the bed. I'm a very picky on cleanliness in motel rooms. The staff are very caring and attentive to your concerns, also very friendly and kind.

This hotel is close to a major hospital so we picked it to stay at when my husband was having heart surgery. We had to make last minute changes to our reservations. The staff were caring and understanding. They inquired about my husbands well-being and made me feel at home.

Amazing, amazing, amazing staff!!! My family is not from the Newmarket area. My father had to go to the Southlake Hospital for a serious operation. When they arrived at the hotel Souphine checked my family in. There was a misunderstanding and the rooms booked were not what we requested. Souphine quickly made the changes. Souphine even upgraded my parents room as I truly feel she knew how stressed my family was and that we were going to be there for at least 3 nights/days so she tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We really appreciated that. Then when we were waiting for the hospital to release my dad, we had to extend our stay for 2 more nights/days which Souphine made happen without any due stress on us. After we left we were notified that my son's watch charger was left behind. I requested it be purolated at my cost, but Souphine said they would just put it in the regular mail at no expense to us. It really is the small things people do that make a horrible time a little more doable. Souphine is a definite asset to your team. I truly hope she is appreciated for every little extra thing she does to make your customers feel like they are at home.

The place was clean and meticulously organized. Will definitely stay there again and would recommend to anyone interested in spending the night or days in a place I would call home away from home. See you at Best Western!

Even in these trying times with the pandemic, staff were excellent and courteous and went beyond the call to make our stay safe and enjoyable. The price is excellent and is in close proximity to all amenities.

The Best Western Voyageur Hotel itself provides all that is expected for a very pleasant stay. The hotel is very well located too in that it is very close to a variety of restaurants and all the shopping that one could possibly need.

Have had to travel a number of times this past year for medical appointments, and were lucky enough to discover the Best Western Voyageur Place on our first visit. It is always clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel like part of the Best Western Family.

Was in a great location and staff was very friendly, loved the rooms very spacious and clean. The rooms and the bathroom looked like they had all been newly renovated. Did not try to restaurant but food looked good.

Rooms could use an update, our heating/cooling system had a pretty big crack in the wall above it. One stain on the ceiling but nothing that made us not want to stay! Really close to the mall and great restaurants! I don't recommend showering if you are there for a short stay, the water pressure is pretty bad! But overall for a short stay I'd go again!

everything was excellent, very comfy bed ,warm on a cold stormy night. The ice machine on the third floor was out of order but ice was at front desk but it was not a problem for me to pick up their. I was surprised and enjoyed the stay their and will return again when need or on travels again .

We usually stay here when in town and have not been disappointed. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the rooms are clean and well kept. They also have a special rate if you have a medical appointment. I recommend this hotel.

Location is amazing. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, superb accomodations and feels at home. Everything is accommodated for guests. I am an airline pilot and have been to 165 countries and have stayed in hotels all over the world, truly I never met such kind staff as this hotels, I will surely go back there in the future and recommend it to my friends and family. This is the cleanest, friendliest, most helpful, convenient place ever! We stay there every time we go to the Toronto area! They are flexible and accommodating! If you want to stay another day, they do the utmost to make your day!

Great hotel. Very friendly staff. Excellent location and walking distance to restaurants. Have stayed At this location 5+ times. Highly recommend this hotel for a getaway. Have only stayed in Main building so cannot speak to other rooms.

My online reservation was changed to a smaller room and I only found when I arrived, and I booked 3 months in advance. I was told the hotel was fully booked so there was nothing they could do. The room wasn't big enough to fit us so it was a very uncomfortable sleep.

Very helpful, friendly and efficient staff on every encounter. Room was very clean, comfortable bed and pillows. Location was close to where I needed to go for an appointment. Close to shopping with a large variety of stores to choose from.

My sister had booked this room in advance for two nights. Due to an emergency hospital admission the one night needed to be cancelled and the staff Meghan and Miranda handled the situation... Thank you so much. The one night she did stay They were very attentive to her needs of more blankets and the computer printer for forms. She was attending a wedding and these extra touches really helped her to save her strength for her son's wedding.... Went to the Buttery for breakfast EXCELLENT! Thank you again...

I always enjoy my stay here. Friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. This hotel is well situated and there are many restaurants nearby. Historic downtown Newmarket is just a short drive or reasonable walk away and there's an LCBO right next door.

When my partner and I began the check-in process, we were asked whether we wanted a room "at the side" with one king bed or in the main building with 2 beds. Not knowing the difference, we asked if the rooms were the same quality. "Yes, the same" we were told--so we opted for the room with the king bed "at the side." When we entered the room, it was extremely cold, so we immediately put on the heat. The heating/AC unit began to emit smoke and smelt terrible. Not only that, the room was tiny, crowded, poorly laid-out, and in desperate need of an update. Not wanting to stay in such a room--especially with the smell and potential danger, we went to the front desk and went for our only other option--2 queens in the main building. THAT room, in contrast, was LOVELY--spacious, updated, clean, and with a much more modern heating/AC unit. Yet these two rooms had been presented to us as being THE SAME ?! There was no difference in price, whatsoever. We do not at all appreciate being lied to. This is a very poor strategy for retaining business, as this is something that we, of course, share with others. Unethical behavious is totally unacceptable. You can be sure we will never darken the door of this hotel again.

Stay away from this place. The rooms are dirty, they have strong cigarette smell and people like to party all night so you won't sleep. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. I went there with my family and the 5 of us couldn't sleep in this place.

The hotel was the perfect location while attending a family wedding. I loved the lobby, very professional and clean. The room exceeded my expectations and the bed was so comfortable which made for a good sleep. A very pleasant surprise and I would recommend the hotel to family and friends.

We have stayed at this hotel in the past and will return again. Spotless accommodations, central location (LCBO next door!), and terrific restaurant within this property. Room rates are most reasonable and as a BW Rewards member we can use our points that never expire! Easy booking engine too!

It is always a pleasure to stay at this location. I have been involved with my organization for over 21 years and has been the best accommodations I have had while conducting our business and fulfilling my duties.

The room was great, the beds were comfy comfy and it was clean as a whistle. However, there were several partyers in our section (the motel style wing in back of the hotel) and because we had our window open for some fresh air, that noise carried until 3:30 in the morning. I called the front desk a few times and could hear that someone had gone to talk to the partyers, but as soon as the front desk person returned to the desk, the noise continued. Otherwise for a quick stop overnight so that we were close to Cardinal Golf Club, it fit the bill nicely.

Good hotel with proximity to lots of resources. A little outdated for decor but was clean and well kept so can't complain. Stayed on the second level with outdoor access and was happy with that decision.

When you walk into the elevator there is already a horrible smell. You walk out of the elevator and it smells like pot. I walk into the room and I don't feel clean and the room doesn't feel clean/look clean

Great hotel! Stayed in the interior building for four nights ahead of our wedding as did a number of guests. Staff was accomodating of any needs in our group; very friendly, our rooms were clean and quiet to ensure we slept well! Recommend staying in the interior building (price was similar, felt more welcoming). Hotel is very close to amenities (groceries, mall, etc.).

This is great hotel with super comfy beds but the reservation accuracy needs improvement. When I made my reservation I specifically asked for a quiet room on the backside of the building away from any stairs and/or elevators and that is exactly what I did not get. Other than that it's a great hotel.

The hotel lobby was beautiful, and I think there were rooms in that section of the hotel. The room I stayed in with my daughter was in the back, more "motel" section of the hotel where it seemed more long-term tenants were staying. Our room stunk like old cigarette smoke and BO. I just couldn't really enjoy the stay because of the smell - I had asked for early check-in, and it was accommodated, but honestly there's no reason I would have wanted to be in the room longer than we were. The morning after our stay, there was a police cruiser circling the parking lot, that was also a little sketchy. I've stayed in a hotel downtown Toronto that had a pool and clean, stink-less room for the same price, so overall I wasn't impressed. The staff were great though and the room was clean despite the stank.

So we had to be in town for a stressful hospital procedure. This hotel made everything else stress free. Bravo to the friendly attentive staff, clean rooms and an overall friendly atmosphere. We stay at this hotel every time we come to town. Can't wait for the buttery restaurant to re-open after Covid

Booked this hotel for our wedding weekend as it was close to our venue (Holland Marsh Wineries). Nothing fancy but the rooms were nice and clean and we had a great stay! Would recommend this hotel especially for weddings in the area.

The Best Western continues to maintain high standards of quality. The suites will make you feel at home. You do get to relax and enjoy yourself. All the staff from front desk to housekeeping are polite, respectful and welcoming.

There were a handful of guests in the parking lot that were clearly drinking (as evidence of empty bottles and can in the morning) and being very loud. Since the rooms face the parking lot everything is very audible in the rooms, making it impossible to have peace and quiet. If you want a redneck party int eh parking lot then this is the place to stay

The staff at the best western are incredible. I stayed at the best western for work related reason. I got the privilege's to know the incredible staff and they are all to kind, helpful and accommodating!!

Close to all amenities. Great service and very clean rooms. No issues connecting to the internet. I have stayed 8 times in the last 6 months and have never been disappointed. I would recommend this to everyone.

I have spent almost a month in this hotel. During my stay i didnt had any issue. Staff was friendly and was available 24/7. Hotel rooms are clean and comfy. Location is nice as you can get what ever you want close by. Pizza hut, subway, tim hortins, no frills, popeyes and much more. I am satisfied with my stay.

Best value for price paid. Staff are polite, accommodating and always trying to ensure our needs are met. I've been staying here for one night every six to eight weeks for the past two years. Never disappointed. Can't go wrong with that.

what a great experience. Every person that works there was so nice and caring. The hotel was super clean. Our room was probley the cleanest room I've ever slept in. The complementry breakfast was as best as it could be during a lock down. Defently will be going back.

This is the only hotel we have stayed at since the start of the pandemic. My wife had surgery at the nearby hospital and this was a place to stay after a long drive for the procedure and mulitple recastings. The staff goes out of its way to address all customer requests in a polite and caring manner. Beds and bedding are great. They have improved the breakfast pickup routine over our three visits. Have stayed at this hotel a few times. Rooms are very clean.Bed and linens are excellent. Front desk very helpful and attentive to ones needs. Close by New Market hospital and shopping malls etc. Highly recommend this hotel.

In spite of COVID staff were warm, breakfast was well balanced and room had microwave and fridge. Lots of good restaurants in the area to order from. Very comfortable bed. Definitely plan to stay there again.

It's always a pleasure staying at BW, staff gets to know your name and what you like and often in puts it into their system records under your file. For instants, I like my room to be facing the front of the building/city view and extra face and body towels. I get them without asking. It's definitely a great choice

Covid times, all restaurant options in area were limited, no room service,,no pool,,especially hot tub,,poor view,,roof of main floor,,, however rooms very well maintained even smelled nice and staff friendly and helpful

I stayed at this hotel for the first time , last week when I was on business. What a incredible stay !! Started with a very friendly check in and I was extremely impressed with the hotel room. The room was in mint condition, and the pillows were amazing ! Lots of them on the bed. What really amazed me was the attention to detail in the room. They obviously must have top notch housekeepers as every little thing was perfect . I stay at a lot of hotels and this one was outstanding! Their care really shows through ! Would highly recommend!

Great location with super comfy beds that is close to a lot of shopping. The front desk staff are very friendly and accommodating with any special requests that you may have. I can't recommend this hotel enough for any of your future stays in the area.

This Best Western is one of my favorite in Ontario to stay for business. They always offer me an upgrade for being a Gold status member and the individuals at the desk are always so friendly and you can tell that they love to work there! I will keep coming back :). It's also very close to a lot of amenities and they used to give you a pass for GoodLife while you stayed with them (this may have changed due to COVID-19 restrictions and I didn't ask this time).

Stayed at the Voyageur Place Hotel for a wedding with the entire wedding party. Staff, room and restaurant were amazing and very clean. Close to the mall and amenities. Very convenient! Would highly recommend

We stayed here as the location was half way in between several golf courses we were playing. It's close to many restaurants and Upper Canada Mall is right across the street. It is located on a busy street but the noise didn't bother us at night. We stayed in the King Suite which was very spacious and comfortable. The restaurant is only open 6:30 am - 2:00 pm right now. We ate breakfast there and it was very good. Tina was our waitress and at 6:30 in the morning was so happy and friendly, and served us lots of coffee which we definitely appreciated.

We use your Hotel for our meeting place about 4 times a year. through these difficult times, the situation can change very quickly from good to worse and vise-versa. I commend ALL of your staff for a great job they do.... I am attaching my comments fro the earlier portion of the survey from the Best Western - Newmarket. "They all meet or exceed when we have a stay at your motel. Did not have interaction with too many of them this time, but Thursday check in was great and we had a request to switch one of the persons accommodations and it was done to our expectations and we appreciated it greatly. With some of our group it is hard for them to grasp the concept of our current situation, they don't neccessarly deal with it in their everyday live and have difficulty understanding some of the reasons for housekeeping not going in everyday to make the bed or bring towels, being spread throughout the floor for rooms. After (I) explained (as I am an essential worker in a pharmacy) they were more comfortable hearing it from within our group. But my point in saying this is, I have great empathy for ALL your workers and please extend my sincere gratitude to them.

Hotel well situated, access to shopping/restaurants. Reception staff friendly and efficient. Easy in and out. Room clean and well set up. Internet seamless and good strength even on the third floor. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed, but during earlier stays the food was good.

The beds are very comfortable and the overall decor in the hotel and your room(s) are quite acceptable but a little dated. The lighting especially in the hallways needs to be updated and improved but is still acceptable. My biggest complaint is that the hotel has removed the pen and notepad for Covid cleanliness reasons but they did not remove the coffee maker or the wine and bottle openers. If they truly were trying to maintain cleanliness standards to curb the spread of the virus then they should remove everything. The pens can be either wiped down with a sanitizer or if they were wrapped in a plastic sleeve and removed/replaced if they are opened.

The room itself was quite nice and quiet. The problem was that during the Covid pandemic, we were not informed when we checked in that housekeeping would not be cleaning the room when we were out. Upon check out we informed the front desk. Nothing was done but made notes in the computer

We stay at this hotel for training every year. It's conveniently located to restaurants and shopping (mall across the street even). The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is the best - the ladies that work the front desk are fantastic - so friendly and always helpful. Thanks for another good stay!

When in doubt, Best Western is the chain to stay with. BW Voyageur Newmarket is my home away from home. The staff are incredible and work hard to make your stay the best it can be. The rooms are well appointed, the beds are comfortable, the coffee is delicious, and the restaurant has some of the friendliest people you might ever meet - I love hearing their stories from Greece. Always a pleasure to stay there!

WE stayed there for 4 nights while on a family trip. Check in and check out was a breeze and the front desk staff were very pleasant, courteous and helpful. The room was very clean including the bathroom. The room was well appointed and modern. We will certainly stay here agin if we are in Newmarket as this hotel is centrally located.

I recently rented several rooms at this hotel for my son's pre and post wedding stay. The wedding couple had a king suite, 1 had a Queen with a Sofa Bed room, my daughter had a King with a Sofa Bed room and my son had a room with 2 double beds for his pre-wedding night stay. All the rooms had tv's, microwave, and mini fridges, coffee/tea, hair dryers and bathroom amenities. The internet in the room was easy to access with very good service. The towels were sufficient. My bed was a little too soft for me and the pillows were too pouffy as well. The staff was very helpful and provided my room with a late check out for a small charge. We did not eat in the restaurant so I cannot comment on it. Overall this hotel worked out great. It was very close to our wedding venue (ceremony and reception in the same location)m which was Madsen's Greenhouse Banquet Hall (a spectacular venue for any special occasion venue). I'm very glad we stayed there and would highly recommend it.

Friendly, warm staff. Gave us bottled water for the road when we checked out. The room was spacious and clean. Towels and wash cloths were thick and fluffy. The bed was comfortable, as were the pillows. The room was quiet. Breakfast was not included but there is a restaurant next door. We opted for Tim Horton's :^)

Host was very efficient friendly and engaging. Rate was reasonable. I decided to sign up for a rewards card and will come again. Room was very nice as was breakfast. The smoothies were as good as I ever had them.

Mine was one overnight stay while attending an event in the area. Check-in was a breeze as I had 'pre-paid' on line (even though not necessary) The hotel was updated and clean. Room was spotless: ...mine was on 'the ground floor' (motel style) with parking out front of the room.. I was offered an upgrade to the 'tower' for $10.00 more, but not needed Good supply of clean linens and lots of pillows on the queen size bed. Room amenities included: Mid size fridge, and microwave oven, flat screen TV. Bed was extremely comfortable. Black out drapes. Check out was quick, and security deposit refunded at the time of check out. I would recommend this hotel

Mom was having a procedure done at hospital and needed to stay the night. My sister's and I were going to stay in the waiting room, but we're not allowed, so got last minute accommodations at a reduced rate!

I was quite impressed with the lobby and staff. My room was spacious and had some lovely perks such as a makeup mirror as well as top notch toiletries. The attached restaurant is quite nice. I suggest the Mousaka if you visit.

Situated at Yonge and Davies the hotel is easy to access. Hotel is clean and they give a discount for guests with hospital visits. The restaurant on site is very good . Front staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel.

Our family of 4 stayed in Best Western Hotel in Newmarket. Their service was excellent, they provided free upgrade to the tower level which was quieter. In addition, they provide free bottled waters to us. The room was very clean and comfortable. We will stay there again if you will ever go to Toronto. Highly recommended.

Hotel was great. The room was super clean and very roomy. TV's were large and modern and the internet connected quickly and easily. The bed was comfy and air conditioner was so quiet I thought it was not even on. The Buttery restaurant served a super breakfast, nice to be able to walk directly from the hotel in my slippers.

I did not think they would have a room but they had many and the price was very very reasonable, at $117.00- in fact the lowest I had encountered in the last 3 years and we stay in many hotels as we install signs all over Ontario.

We were a bit suspicious because of the outside of the hotel but honestly this place is great! The rooms are clean and nice. We had a block of rooms for our recent wedding and the staff at the Best Western Voyageur Place Hotel were FANTASTIC. Cannot compliment them enough. We are so happy that we went with this hotel and highly recommend for weddings in the area. They made my husband and I and our guests feel so welcome, comfortable. We were so impressed. I also loved the cute touch in the bridal suite on the day of our wedding. THANK YOU!

Stayed 1 night and found it to be a comfortable and convenient place. Located at corner of Yonge and Davis Drive. Restaurant on site was good. Internet was good as well. Rooms were spacious and clean. Slept well as it was quiet.

One of the most welcoming, clean , quiet Hotels around, Room Decor is warm and cozy. Bedding is exceptional quality and most comfortable bed I have slept on in any major hotel. Staff are very friendly and most helpful.

We were a little disappointed that there were only two luggage carts and it seemed like the were hoarded somewhere. It's a difficult thing to control, however, when we went for breakfast at 8:15 a.m. they were in use, (we did not see them). When we came back and throughout the carrying of our luggage, etc our to our vehicle, which was almost an hour to do this, not once did the carts reappear in the lobby. This is very hard on some people even with the elevator. Maybe a few smaller carts could also be made available, or a tracking of where they are!

Great price as a memner. Room clean. Beds great. Great having restaurant onsite so we could cekebrate spouses 75th birthday. Didn't have to worry about drinking and driving. Lots of other restaurants and shopping withing walking distance.

Front desk check in was very polite and lovely. They asked me if I had eaten dinner yet because the restaurant was closing soon and wanted to make sure I got something to eat before I retired to my room for the night.

I have stayed at many Best Western properties over the last few years and although this one is nice enough, it doesn't offer some of the amenities that I have come to expect from BW - NO free breakfast, no laundry on site. Also, many of their rooms are outside access (motel type) rooms. Was very put off that they allow smoking of both cigarettes and marijuana just outside the main entry doors....very disappointing.

Hands down the best service around. I swear the Best western must do some crazy background checks on all staff because the quality of service you receive is the best of the best. I should be an ambassador because I am so proud to stay at these hotels. Lol

Best surprise was the makeup mirror in the room Clean comfortable room. Very comfortable pillows. Meets expectations of best western chain. A bit pricey for one night, but missed booking early enough to get wedding rate.

Great location, staff were very friendly. Express checkout option is fantastic. Room was clean and very accessible. Some maintenance on the actual room needed (ie bathroom door frame was chipped and could see wood underneath). Shampoo, conditioner and most bathroom toiletries provided

Stayed two nights and found only two issues. You need to keep the aircon on if you like your room cool ( bearing in mind the beds only have duvets, not sheets, so are warm) and it's the noisy old fashioned unit type. You need ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Secondly, there are huge numbers of plug sockets including two on every light, but none of them allow enough space around them for an international plug adaptor. Eventually I found a double socket hidden behind the sofa! Other than that, great service, fresh and well maintained decor and generally a very pleasant stay.

Booked a wedding block and our bride and groom suite. Amazing service! They were able to book our shuttle bus for all our guests. Very friendly service and very clean hotel. They even decorated our suite on our wedding night!

I had a great stay recently at the Best Western in Newmarket. The staff there are exceptional. They are always on hand if you need anything and they try to give upgrades when they can. This time I was upgraded to a king suite with jetted tub and it was amazing! The room was pretty clean (just some stuff on the carpet that should have been vacuumed up possibly) and the décor here is new and fresh. I love staying at this Best Western when I'm in town for business and will definitely stay again for business or pleasure! I love that there are so many things in walking distance including the GoodLife across the street, which they will give you free passes to by the way.

We stayed here for 4 nights. It was wonderful. Our room was so spacious and clean. When we would return in the evening the room was spotless..... towels and toiletries were all topped up. The location was ideal. Right across from a amazing shopping center and not far from the bigger city centres. All staff we very accommodating. I would highly recommend and can't wait to return.

We have used the Best Western facility in Newmarket Ontario on several occasions while attending South Lake Health center and also personal outings. We have always enjoyed a very good experience and excellent service.

The staff was excellent, the room was spotless and the beds were really comfortable. We were greeted with a cold water upon arrival and it was greatly appreciated after a 6 hour drive and hot weather.

This is an excellent hotel to stay in if you are visiting in this area. I had requested if at all possible to have room available before I went to a town close by to visit a past work colleague and friend and even though I knew they could not guarantee it, they did have my room ready for me when I arrived around 12:30. Staff are excellent, very friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is good. Staff go a wonderful job at giving you a very clean room.

Though not particularly attractive from the outside, inside of Best Western Voyageur is lovely, as are the rooms. It's the most attractive & well equipped Best Western we have stayed at. We were there for a family wedding and Best Western was able to accommodate a large group of us with amazing flexibility with bookings and cancellations. It was a good choice made by the bride and groom.

The first night we could not sleep and finally at 3:30 moved to the pull out couch not obly because the bed was uncomfortable but we also think it was a double instead of a queen. At home we have a queen bed and this one was either the worlds smallest or it was a size down which made it a tight sleep even though it was advertised as a queen. We would not stay here again.

Motel was clean and tidy but nothing fancy. I would not recommend it for an outing but if you're just passing through then it's very accommodating. TV channels were the best I've ever had at a hotel EVER.

Stayed here on business many times. The hotel is fine, well maintained and clean. The staff is exceptional. Well trained, friendly and helpful. Brooke is the brightest star among many other stars. Always a joy to stay there.

We arrived late in the evening after a long day of travel. We were greeted with a friendly face at check-in and a very comfortable room. There is a nice selection of rooms with either interior doors in the main building or external doors in the back buildings. Our double queen room had plenty of space for a family of 4.

Room was clean and fairly well appointed, restaurant was excellent , staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. ospe were in town for medical reasons and had a procedure at SouthLake Hospital. We had a great stay at the Best Western for our wedding. The whole team was dedicated to make our day special. When we arrived back with our guests in the early morning, we were offered a meeting room to 'continue the party' which was incredibly thoughtful.

stay was for a wedding just outside of newmarket, this hotel is in the middle so it was better location then the few close to 404. staff were very friendly room was on floor 2 close to lobby stairs which was better then taking busy elevator!

frond desk customer services are great. very friendly and helpful. best first impression from me. the hotel is a little dated, but room was quiet and clean. everything else is great. there is nothing more to say. this would be highly recommended from us.

Family Wedding event with 120 guests. Over all experience at the Best Western Voyageur was perfect, as well as being an excellent place to stay. The meals at the restaurant were very good, and the service was excellent.

I went for a friend's wedding & am so glad I chose this hotel. My room was in the main bldg. It was clean, the bed was comfy, the pillows were like sleeping on a cloud. The fridge, coffee maker & microwave all worked. I doubt friendlier staff (front desk & housekeeping) could be found elsewhere. I originally booked to stay for 3 nights & ended up booking 1 more night since I was enjoying myself so much. There's a huge mall right across the street. I would definitely stay at this location again, without a hesitation.

Check-in was smooth with no waiting and the staff was friendly and very helpful. Location was close to shopping and numerous restaurants. On site restaurant has excellent food and the ceasor salad is one of the best that I have ever tasted!

I have stayed at the Best Western Voyageur Place Hotel in Newmarket, Ontario regularly over the last 5 years and continue to find the rooms clean and pleasantly furnished, the beds comfortable, and the staff courteous and accommodating. The restaurant offers quite a wide variety of food at reasonable prices with good service, and its Sunday brunch is of a good standard and very convenient. If you enjoy shopping, the Upper Canada Mall is just a few minutes walk away as are many other amenities, including supermarkets and banks. All in all, a good getaway for a week at a reasonable price.

Just a short stay overnight for a wedding but staff was very helpful in making everything go well and even allowing early checkin so that guest could get ready for the wedding. Couldn't try the dining room because all booked for Father's Day

Friendly staff at the front desk, clean rooms, comfortable beds. About the smallest rooms outside of England though. Barely room to move for two people. If you are not in the tower (3 stories), then you are in the little rooms out back. Don't take a room on the second floor as it is a tough lug up the stairs with your bags. Main level let's you park by your front door.

The hotel wais very clean and comfortable, the rooms are not outdated and tastefully decorated. Good restaruant with reasonable prices, rooms have adequate amenities. Parking lot a little small. Staff was courteous and efficient. Shopping was near by.

We were on business in NewMarket and figured this might be a great place to just have a night out. The front desk staff were over the top friendly and helpful. What a welcome from start to finish. Hats off. The rooms were comfortable, beds great, lot of pillows, and I am fussy. Nice clean rooms too, great bathrooms. Noise at a minimum. The front desk staff recomeneded the restaurant in the complex and we had a dinner and breakfast with them. They have been doing this a long time we were told and they did know how to make people happy and full. Oh boy the name of the place i cannot remember but its right off the lobby. You can't miss it. All and all just a great stay, this Best Western is close to lots of shopping restaurants, movie theatre not too far.

We stayed as a large group at the Best Western after our wedding and the service is incredible, rooms were clean, amenities are great. Breakfast was a nice surprise! Coffee was fantastic. Highly recommend!

This hotel, while not very appealing from the curb, offers very clean and comfortable rooms. There is good television and wifi service. The bathroom amenities were very good. The rooms are very functional but could use a little refreshing as some of the furniture is looking a bit tired. Overall it was really good value.

Great value and location. Stay here 3-4 times a year and am always impressed. Walking distance to mall and restaurants. Staff are always friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here. Will be back.

It's in a strip mall, many rooms you get to from the outside, halls are kind of basic , so is the lobby.../ but I will say a lot of extra touches. For one thing the remote is in a separate bag for the TV, OK so how many of you wonder how often is the remote cleaned. I feel good about this. The other thing was the coffee station, it included a bottle opener. Yes it's a best Western, so the toiletries are not the best, but it's clean, and it's in a commercialized area near lots of restaurants and shopping. I would give it 3 1/2 stars if I could, as I think it's a little better than average. Staff is also very friendly

I would recommend this BW, Newmarket to anyone looking for quality accommodation. The overall experience was exceptional. Staff members went out of their way to make our stay most comfortable. The adjoining Restaurant (The Buttery) provided decent quality at a manageable price.

enjoyed staying at this hotel very much. very reasonable price for excellent value. the staff were stellar, the room was excellent amenities everywhere... shopping, eateries, all close at hand. no swimming pool on site but this outlet has an agreement with the local community centres to allow for guests to enjoy swimming and work out, all inclusive..

We stayed in Newmarket for a funeral. The rooms were super clean and the beds very comfortable, with a big selection of pillows. Internet worked well for the brief time we were there. Restaurant on site has very friendly staff and good selection of meals.

Very inconsistent as I was there for 3 weeks, 4 nights a week. I was able to check in around 11am and no one told me it was early until the 3rd week and said there was a fee for it. Then, the damage holds varied too... for two weeks it was 100 and the last week was 200 even though I stayed for the same 4 nights.

Stayed there for 2 weeks, i had an excellent experience, amazing and very friendly staff , clean rooms and bathrooms, resturant on sight amazing food and amazing staff as well . I highly recommend . Would definitely go again !

We stayed at this hotel 7 days ago, we would definitely stay again. Front desk was extremely helpful and polite. The room was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. Nice location because you don't have to go right into Newmarket. Lots of restaurants close by, mall across the road. We had breakfast downstairs at the restaurant. Breakfast was good (you can't really go wrong with eggs and bacon), nothing too fancy, they were knowledgable about gluten free and our server could tell you exactly what you could and couldn't eat. They had gluten free toast if you wanted. Highly recommend this hotel.

I have to travel to Newmarket regularly for medical tests and treatment. It is always comforting to lodge at a familiar place at a reasonable price. I don't need any luxuries, just a comfortable bed and clean room. The hotel is a little dated, but suits my needs. I am not there for a resort holiday. The staff is always friendly and the staff keeps the room clean. I will come back soon.

I travel often for work and I am not a fan of change so when i find somewhere that I feel comfortable, I tend to return to that place as often as possible. This was my second time staying at this hotel, both times for 2 nights, in the last 2 months. Honestly, from the cleanliness of the hotel to the exceptional customer service, this hotel should be a benchmark in the industry. All staff is great, but Erin truly knows what it means to make a guest feel at home. Great job Best Western! I'll be back!

Got lousy directions from a friend and ended up at the wrong Best Western. Erin at the front counter was super polite and personable. She never made us seem like an inconvenience. She called over to the Orangeville Best Western to see if they had our reservation (save us a trip just in case). Thanks for going above and beyond, Erin!!

i'm in room 130 right now and i have never seen a room this clean !!!! you could eat off the floor and trust me i do hotel A LOT , the bathroom is wow , they even clean the remote control and place it in a little bag, i recommend it

If you want to sleep during your stay then this is not the place for you. We had a 2weeks stay and during that time listened to people shout, scream, sing, dance on the shared balcony, have parties and physically fight. We complained to the front desk (one night 3 times) and nothing was done. Upon leaving the hotel we e-mailed the manager, who basically implied the situation our own fault for not complaining enough and not escalating it further. The room was tidy enough for a budget hotel or should I say motel. If you book a room just be aware there's a motel attached to the hotel where you may be placed. We didn't even know there was a motel!! The manager also told us if we had asked we would have been changed to the hotel. We did ask and was told the hotel was fully booked but she didn't bother to ask us that!! We were offered a breakfast as a form of compensation (the room was £1,300) which we declined. And was told we would get nothing else because we said we were going to give a trip advisor review. Awful place to stay!!!

I was just mocked by the front desk staff member named Tony for asking for new sheets on the pull out sofa which weren't fresh and had pieces of metal on the bed and crumbs so that's how I know it wasn't fresh!! Real class act to mock someone who just lost a family member! Bet you didn't think the elevator would open and I'd hear every word you'd say!

We have been staying at the Best Western Voyageur Place Hotel Newmarket many times in the last year. They have been more than accommodating at all our visits. They greet you with big smiles and welcoming comments. You actually think you are a friend. Would not stay anywhere else when we are back in Newmarket.

The rooms were comfortable and the staff was very friendly . The Buttery was a good place to eat.The food was very good. The lobby was neat and tidy and very pleasant. Hotel was close to shopping and restaurants. The staff was very accomidating.

I just wish it was nicer in decor and lobby areas.It was a bit noisy for me, could be im a light sleeper. The staffs are friendly and knowledgeable abour the area. Helpful and attentive. I definitely will stay here again

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the Mall, LCBO, shoppers drug and other stores but we return got the way we are treated! Like we are special and they appreciate our coming to their hotel. They ladies at the front desk are friendly helpful z c treat each guest like s friend.

Very clean and good room and the restaurant/bar was amazing. The staff offered me the Best Western membership card which took less than 5 minutes. Overall my girlfriend and I were pleased and would return to this hotel and would recommend to others. Good value for the price!

Best value in Newmarket for location and amenities.Clean and comfortable. Most rooms are updated and modern. Only thing I would change is get rid of the bathtub shower combos, switch the regular rooms to shower only.

Restaurant for brunch is wonderful and again doted on my all the staff! We would go back in a heart beat! Wish more hotels cared as much as this... or at least pretended! Thanks again! S

The room was nice and comfortable. Location near Aurora downtown was the reason for the stay. Had some minor issues with the noise and the thin walls but otherwise was a pleasant experience. STaff tried to be helpful. Breakfast would have made the stay better

We had a pleasant stay at the Best Western Voyager in Newmarket, ON earlier this week. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful, both at the front desk as the ones who did the housekeeping. Our room was adequate and the beds were very comfortable with nice bedding. Even though we faced onto Yonge St., it was very quiet and we couldn't hear the traffic at all. The room had a frig and coffeemaker in it. The TV worked well. The bathroom was fine and everything in it worked well. The towels were nice and fluffy. There was a business office in the lobby which came in handy. Although they don't have breakfast included, we ate at the restaurant (The Buttery) next door and found it to be excellent ... nice atmosphere and reasonably priced. If in the area, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed at the Best Western Voyageur Place for two nights and had a very pleasant stay.The front staff were very polite and attentive,the room had all that we needed , and the beds and pillows were comfortable for sleeping.Convenient location near our competition at the Magna Centre.

we found the concierges both to be very friendly and helpful. They gave us lots of info on available attractions and restaurants as well as directions to the hospital. They were fast at check in and were able to answer all of our questions in a timely manner.

We stayed here for a night as part of a Wedding block for a nearby Family Wedding. The lobby was busy at check in which of course is to be expected. The staff were friendly, fast and efficient, keeping the line moving well while providing great service and answering questions all with a smile! When we returned from the Wedding a large group of us were in one room which of course was loud, the staff offered us a meeting room so we could continue the fun without disturbing other guests! The night auditor at the desk was also super! She helped us when we needed the address for pizza, was nice, friendly and funny! She was fantastic! The rooms were well appointed and the beds were very comfortable as well!! The amenities offered in the bathroom were above and beyond the normal hotel amenities! When we asked for a late checkout in the morning this was granted right away by a very friendly agent!! If you find yourself needing a place to stay in Newmarket look no further! Great hotel and AMAZING staff!!!

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had reserved a block of rooms for our Wedding Day and the hotel was more than accommodating to our guests. Many guests received early check-in so they could arrive and get comfortable before our reception. The hotel also allowed us to drop off gifts for our guests and gave it to them upon check-in. This was a truly nice touch! Also, when we returned from our venue at 1am- the hotel staff was more than welcoming and made us feel extremely comfortable as we continued to celebrate. My guests were in total disbelief at the level of service we received. WOW! Tony is amazing. I am so happy I booked with Best Western for my Wedding night!

I love staying at this hotel and come every year! It is right across the street from the large Upper Canada Mall.. The on-site restaurant is wonderful (the Buttery?) - but remember that Sunday nights they close after their Sunday Brunch is over (I always forget!!) - but the LCBO is next door and that helps a LOT! The first time I drove up to this place I was worried - the building looks like a government building from the 60's and the neighbourhood was also dated. But when I walked through the front doors, the lobby was inviting and the staff is very friendly and helpful! There have been a lot of upgrades to the surrounding area since - although not much you can do about the exterior of the building. Give it a go - it's GREAT!

This is a great hotel with amazing staff and amenities! When I'm in the area I always stay at this hotel. The front staff are very helpful and go above and beyond to meet guests needs. The rooms are very clean and the hotel is well maintained.

We live out of town but had to go to South Lake Hospital in Newmarket for tests and operation. The Best Western is within 2-3 km from hospital. Hotel staff accommodating and pleasant. everything was amazing. That is why we gave it a 5 star rating. Restaurant staff friendly and extremely knowledgeable.. Food was delicious!,,,, Definitely stay here again...Have book additional nights for October.

This hotel is quite adequate for medium level accommodation. A bit tired but clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. There were no complaints to speak of; and the price is not unreasonable. Needs updating to freshen the decor in all areas.

if you are stuck working north of the GTA this is the only good place to stay, not much to do in this region so stay here or be bored to tears the whole region is littered with over priced hotels. I paid more here than I would have paid with our corporate rate to stay on the gold floor at the Fairmont royal York hotel ion downtown toronto

I travel a great deal however this stay was due to the fact that one of our family members was I a hospital near the hotel site. The staff made an effort to know what we were there and made every effort to help us through this terrible time. I thank them for their professionalism and also their compassion . OUr family member did OK and is now at home .

Stayed 1 night for a friends wedding at Holland winery. Quick check in and provided shuttle to and from wedding. Clean room reasonable rates. Shuttle driver very pleasant. Located close to everything in newmarket

New market GTA no restaurant included. It is privately owned and requires additional cost. There are some good restaurants in the city although they are close early before 10 pm. there is a splash pad for the kids in Summer open till 10 pm

We had 2 nights here - ideal stop over for a wedding close by. Room was small but adequate. Staff were excellent- willing to help and very efficient. Had dinner there 1 night and the food was first class.

We recently stay here for a wedding we were attending. Staff was great at check in. Got to check in early. Place was clean. Only down fall was in the bath tub there was a huge bug. The cleaning staff took care of it right away but nothing was followed up by the front seat as I advised them. Overall it was a good weekend. Hopefully they learn from this and treat guests with more care.

When in Newmarket on business, I always stay here. Free parking and Wi-Fi, and convenient for many Newmarket locations. The staff are always super friendly and of course the Buttery restaurant in the hotel is great value.

This is a solid Best Western with friendly service. Building is very 70s on the outside but nicely renovated on the inside. Very clean room and bathroom; good HDTV but needed more HD channels. The Buttery restaurant had an excellent diner-style breakfast.

I stayed here for one night while on business. The hotel is basic and provided everything I needed for one night and then some. The room had a microwave, mini fridge, iron/board, and coffee maker. The bed was comfortable and the room was a good dice with a queen, couch and desk. I found the hotel to be quiet though you could hear guests in other rooms at times. If you are staying longer, the location is not all that close to a gas station or a Tim Horton's. Staff was friendly and the pricing was inexpensive at $132, taxes in. Can't complain about that. Good value for a one night business trip.

I stay here for business quite a bit and am always very satisfied with my stay. The Buttery Restaurant in the hotel is a must for anyone staying here. Have the caesar salad because it is actually the best I've ever had. Their steaks are also fantastic!

Though the staff was somewhat professional, there was poor ventilation & room smelt of smoke. It was awful. We stayed for a wedding and that was the only reason we carried through with our reservation. Serious updates are required to this hotel.

Great little hotel, very clean and more than reasonably priced for what it has to offer. The front desk lady (Erin) has absolutely great and I want to thank her for her services! She upgraded my room without being asked and was very helpful overall. Easy access, microwave and fridge in the room, the cleanness of the room, complementary wifi, etc all made my stay a pleasure. The only two things I wasn't very pleased about was the fact that there is no phone in the room and not so easy access to the pool. Overall, I would recommend the hotel to all that need a room in the area.

I enjoyed my stay, the restaurant was fantastic and the pricing was quite reasonable. The girls at the front desk were courteous and took interest in the outcome of the games as we were there as a basketball team.

Staff is always very nice and make you feel welcome. Only complaint is you have to go to the restaurant for breakfast. Food is good but a bit pricy, not like other BestWesterns with a hot breakfast. Rooms are always clean and beds are comfortable

We checked out a day early. Room was dark and very warn out. Carpet smelled and it was so dark it was impossible to see to get ready. Room cleaning came as we were getting ready for a wedding so sent them away after getting a few clean towels. Not the bed size we had paid for. It was a double at best and we paid for a queen. This place is so dated and warn out find somewhere else to stay.

Average hotel. needs major room overhaul. The rooms look outdated and dark and gloomy. Not a restful get away very noisy surroundings of guests coming and going. The carpet smell musty and the scent of dust in rooms. No room service. Great location in the center of Newmarket. close to great dining experiences and shopping in Newmarket. an Ok place for a short stay.

Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. They also provided an after party room (midnight to 4 am) so our group could continue without annoying other guests. All staff were friendly and ready to assist when asked questions.

I booked the Best Western during a conference and enjoyed my stay. It was short stay but the room was clean, comfortable and provided all the amenities. Staff at the front desk were always friendly and happy to provide help and accommodate with my requests.

My husband and I just stayed one night here and was totally satisfied with this hotel..Upon arrival the Receptionists were friendly and attentive..The Room had a queen bed..large fridge..sofa..chair..The room and bathroom were clean..bed was comfortable..a comfortable lobby....staff friendly..will stay here on our next trip to Newmarket..price point was very good

We stayed in this hotel for an out-of-town wedding. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the on-site restaurant is very good. On the morning that we were meant to check out, our car wouldn't start and we had to call CAA, but the wait time was hours long. We stayed in the lobby with our 3 children until mid-afternoon, and when it was becoming clear that CAA wasn't going to get there any time soon and we didn't have other options for our car, the manager on duty was incredibly accommodating. She offered to open a room for us downstairs to wait since they were cleaning the carpets in the lobby by this point, and when we decided that we were going to have to stay another night, they provided a room at an excellent rate. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat. It was an excellent experience, despite our less-than-ideal circumstances.

Stayed in an exterior entrance room. While clean, it was colder than being in the tower and I don't think the beds were very comfortable. However, the staff, lobby and lounge were very pleasing and accommodating.

My fiance and I stayed in this hotel, as I was a bridesmaid in a wedding that was out-of-town for us. As we did not spend TOO much time in the hotel, we didn't form an opinion one way or the other about their services. It was clean, cozy and had everything we needed! I did however notice that the staff was chilly, impatient, and sometimes rude. They did a very good job of hiding it behind the usual professionalism, so if you don't pay too close attention to their facial expressions or the tone of their voice, I'm sure you won't notice a thing.

Really like this hotel. Stay here whenever i'm in the area... Great beds and clean. Like having a restaurant on site. Staff are great. Hot tubs in room are nice but spray water lots... Hard to relax with jets going. Otherwise great showers and rooms.

Best food ever at a hotel in this range. Caesar salad to die for, excellent meats and friendly service all the way through!! I was here on business for three days and our entire group stayed in and ate each night at the hotel and this is something we never do. This is a gem of a spot if you are ever in the Newmarket area

My son and his bride arranged rooms at this hotel because it was close to the wedding venue. The hotel staff was helpful and courteous, doing all they could to accommodate early check-in for the guests. "The Buttery" restaurant attached to the hotel serves an excellent breakfast buffet at a reasonable price. The room was clean and comfortable although we really did not spend long there! They opened a small room downstairs post-reception for those not ready to call it a nite. I would recommend this for any traveller to Newmarket.

We stay here often - it has the very best location in Newmarket. The hotel is always super clean and everything is in good repair. The staff are friendly and professional. There is a restaurant on site and lots of good options in the immediate area. It's all good!

The staff recognized the fact that we were there for an event for our brother who stayed there for the previous month...ohhh we love George! Was one of the first things they said. Service was awesome !

Great Place for business or pleasure lots to do lots of shopping ! And lots of places to eat as well. Very convenient and would most definitely would return and stay at this hotel .The front desk girls were awesome from the reservation to the checkin and checkout .

Our worst stay ever... from the reservation to the check in to our numerous conplaints... nothing was taken care of !! The attendant Erin did not care, was impolite to both me and my spouse... I have never met a hotel staff this arrogant before and probably never will again The rooms are very noisy but that is not the staffs fault and the hotel is 30 years old so understandable But the service was horible !!!

I was here to host a work conference. This is a great venue to host and everything was organized and ready to go. The catering was phenomenal and I would like to thank Dmitri and Gus for their hospitality. They are attentive to detail and ensure the highest quality when serving their food! The two of them leave such a lasting impression! Thank you!

Good Hotel, good location. Restaurant is very consistent. Dinner and breakfast are good. Wish it was open earlier in the morning for breakfast. Could use some updates in the rooms, stuff is getting old. Have stayed there for over 20 years.

Right next to the LCBO and everything you need around. I stay here often for business because of the price and location within GTA. It has a restaurant but it's often closed by the time I get there (8-9pm) but many other options around. Always great service here.

Typical Best Western - Clean Hotel - Everything works the way it should - Friendly / Happy Staff. No Pool, or free Continental Breakfast at this one... But we didn't have time to use the Pool anyway (plus we have a Health Club Membership, with a Pool, back home) & we were feeling Fat anyway after the Party we went to - LOL -

We did not realize there was a motel portion of this hotel and did not reliaze we would be placed in the motel side. Lots of construction workers partying outside at night who would stare are us as we brought our bags in from the parkinglot. A bit creepy. Would make mention to stay in the main part of the hotel next week.

We checked in on Sunday afternoon. The carpets were being cleaned in the lobby. The noise was deafning and we almost tripped over the hoses. However the hostess at the front desk was pleasant and efficient and our reservation went fast, so we didn't have to stand there amid the noise. We were pleasantly surprised how nice our room was. It was in the main building.

This Hotel is outstanding. Clean , Comfortable, Friendly. The Staff are very professional, organized and helpful. The Restaurant service, meals and Staff are outstanding. The room we stayed in was perfect and well maintained.

We stayed at this hotel twice before while in Newmarket. The rooms are very clean and well equipped with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee machine. The Buttery Restaurant downstairs is very nice with good food and great service. All the staff are very helpful.

This hotel is 100% smoke-free, which I found disappointing, as there is an entire wing separate from the main building which could easily be reserved for guests who smoke. That aside, the bed was very comfortable. The internet was as fast as home. The HVAC worked well, as did everything else. Very professional staff in and out.

I've stayed here a few times before and will go back again. This hotel is a great place to stay. Clean, comfortable, well-appointed. It's conenient to full-serve restaurants, fast food places, and shopping - most within walking distance.

My husband was having surgery at Southlake Hospital and we decided to book the best western as it was just a few mins away, There was a mixup of our room at check in the staff was very courteous and fixed the issue immediately we received an upgraded room @the rate we booked, staff were all friendly and respectful. Hotel very clean, room was large and roomy and clean, we would recommend this hotel to anyone who is in town for a night or if a loved one is in the hospital

The rooms are clean and the staff a shear joy. The restaurant was very good and made meal time enjoyable. Hotel staff went beyond what they needed to do but we appreciated the help. We are going back in January!

We stayed here bc a relative needed surgery at the South Lake hospital. The front staff was fun, professional, just the right amount of inquiry to be caring and not nosy, and most of all able to roll with our inability to confirm a check out day. They were fantastic. The hotel has been recently renovated, ask for top floor, even number. The odd numbers are on Yonge and it is busy. The hotel has a restaurant attached. The location is good, across from a decent mall. Heading north on Yonge there are a ton of places to eat like Jack astors, Milestone, Mr Greek etc.

I have never had a problem with any Best Western, I love them all, I like this one because it has external rooms, so you don't have to go in out of the main building. its just one door right to your vehicle

We checked in late. Check in was efficient. Room was as we expected and clean. Room was very warm even though temp was set for 63. Gave up trying to adjust it. Restless night as a result. Wake up call came early as a result of housekeeping outside of our door more or less screaming at each other about their day outside of our door:( No restaurants close to hotel other than restaurant in hotel that closes at 9. Close to shopping at local extensive mall.

I have stayed here several times on business. Very nice hotel. Pleasant staff. Nice clean rooms. The restaurant next to the hotel has amazing food and great service. I will continue to stay here on future visits to this area.

The room we stayed in was fairly clean, quiet and had some handy amenities, small fridge, microwave, and an alarm clock with a night light, the night light in the bathroom was a nice touch as well, There was no free breakfast. The attached restaurant had reasonably good food but for folks on a limited budget, was somewhat pricey. Access to other restaurants meant crossing multi lanes of traffic at least twice, could be difficult for some seniors. The price of the room was reasonable, but the location could be troublesome for less confident drivers who need to turn left to leave the hotel. All in all, reasonable value for the dollar.

Arrived early on a Friday morning flight and the staff were happy to help, I was able to get accommodated into my suite just past noon. From top to bottom one of the better places I have stayed. Looked like a newly renovated suite, with surprising more amenities than other suites I have stayed in, bathroom redone, 2 big screen televisions and even a little entertaining area. The staff at the front desk were happy to help whenever I had any questions and staff supervisors Kim and Halina, made sure that everything was to my liking all the way through my stay, made the stay feel more like home. I would recommend this place to anyone that is in planning on staying in the area, keep up the amazing work!

We have stayed at the Hotel for several years now for our annual shopping trip. It meets all our needs and is just a walk across the street to the Upper Canada Mall. Rooms are spacious and clean. Only downfall is that breakfast is served at the restaurant connected to hotel which is not included in the price of the hotel stay.

I checked in at 12:30 at night and was given a room with the loudest air conditioner that I have ever had the pleasure of being kept up all night by. I decided to try to sleep through it because I only had about six hours till I had to get up. Every time the unit clicked on it startled, woke me up and continued to loudly buzz. I am not a light sleeper and I routinely sleep through a crying baby (my wife and I trade turns getting up). I ended up getting nearly no sleep. When I called the front office they asked why I didn't call to change rooms. I feel stupid for thinking it couldn't possibly be that bad and that the hassle of changing hotel rooms would be worse than the buzzing. I am upset that the room was noisy. I am upset that instead of just coming to fix the problem they chose to question my motivations for trying to get the problem fixed. I am upset that I have now been waiting so long for an attendant that I am not going to have time to get any sleep before heading out. This was to be a short stay to refresh during a business trip, instead it was an exercise in sleep deprivation and testing of patience. I urge you to choose another hotel and to not have to endure this customer service boondoggle. Hopefully the franchise owner reads this and speaks to their staff about bare minimum of service.

I recently stayed at the Best Western in Newmarket for a few days and had the best experience I could have imagined, the girls Erin and Sam at the front desk were so accommodating and Alison our house keeper along with Kim and the rest of the staff were amazing I would recommend this hotel to everyone! Stayed for 4 nights in Rm 125 which is at the back of the property , ground level. A lovely suite, extremely quiet .. Room was clean .. could have used another soft chair .. was only a sofa to sit on or a rolling chair. Staff very friendly and helpful ..

The hotel Was very clean and organized I was there for four days and was super happy with my stay. Kim was one of the staff that really made our check in and stay As easy as it can get answered all our questions and made our stay great! Our housekeeper Violet always took great care of our room asked if we needed anything room was very clean everyday! I will recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family for sure!

Stayed here for 3 nights while attending a family function. Room was clean but tired. Hallways and room need an paint job and new carpet. Bed was uncomfortable. Staff were friendly. Breakfast at the Buttery was great. Okay hotel for the price.

Several members of our family stayed at this hotel in September 2016 and had a really great time there. The room we had was excellent, quite spacious and the bed was really comfortable. We were in what the staff called 'The Tower' which is the main part of the hotel. There are other accomodations to the rear of this main building which I'd imagine would be a bit cheaper/quieter. The ladies on the reception desk were really friendly as were all staff within the restuarant/bar. We had come over from Scotland for the wedding of my nephew to a young lady from Newmarket and I think this made all the hotel staff even more welcoming. Located right across the road from the Upper Canada Mall and round the corner from one of the most well stocked wine stores I have ever seen, the Best Western Voyageur Place Hotel was the perfect base for us.

Front desk staff gave a great recommendation for a restaurant and took the time to look up the info for us.

Had a recent stay at this hotel in the middle of September. We have Diamond status with this chain, and they were sold out that night- so I wasn't expecting an upgrade. However, when we checked in about 2 PM that day, I asked the front desk person if this was their best available room. As a Diamond, we are entitled (at most BW properties) to obtain this perk. She responded that no upgrades were available, which was fine. However, in the early afternoon there absolutely had to have been many other standard queen rooms available in much better locations throughout the hotel- and this individual (initials were CR if the management cares) chose to put us out in a room overlooking the parking lot. My wife is currently having some plantar fasciitis, so lugging suitcases up stairwells was not a pleasant experience for her. We were visiting friends, wouldn't be in the room too much, and would be returning for a good night's sleep, so the location wasn't that big of an issue- or so we thought. Upon return that evening, there were people hanging out in the parking lot- and sitting on the walkways that patrons use to get to their rooms. Some were shirtless, and our friend even commented how bizarre it was that people were just hanging out in the parking area. I want to make it clear that current management ENCOURAGES this by having bench seating available at certain places on the walkway. I understand having seating on a balcony at the rear of the room- but not on the main walkway- it is about the stupidest thing I have come across as far as logistics go at a hotel property. To make a long story short, the people on the walkways and/or in the parking lot were quite loud well into the evening. So loud, in fact, that even after putting in my travel ear plugs I could still hear them. This hotel is highly rated- and, quite frankly, I just don't get it. It was the worst stay I have had at a Best Western property in the 5 years since I became a Diamond- and the worst overall stay at any hotel anywhere in the past few years. Fortunately, Newmarket is growing very quickly and new hotels are beginning to pop up. My prediction is that this particular property will become an afterthought as the city gets larger and the competition becomes stiffer. It goes without saying that we will never stay here again, but your mileage may vary. If I could give them a zero rating I would- but a one will have to suffice.

The person at the front desk during check in did not seem friendly or happy at all, she seemed tired and gave the impression off she didn't want to be there. The hotel Lobby is nice, however quite small. No pool but was given pool passes. The hotel rooms are dated. The A/C in our room was only hot air. The beds are quite comfortable however housekeeping wasn't the greatest.

Stayed here for a wedding at the Holland Marsh Winery. Staff was wonderful and very attentive and polite in all aspects. My husband and I were upgraded to the King suite which was a nice welcoming surprise. Will def. recommend. LCBO and Shoppers were within a 30 second walk across the parking lot. Only negative was the slow elevator.

We made a last minute decision to stay in Newmarket and picked the Best Western. The receptionist was great. When I arrived she was on the phone with someone, looked at me and let me know she knew I was there. I walked away from the desk while she was on the phone and another person came in and checked out. The woman commented that she hope things would be fine once he got home and did the check out quickly. She then apologized to me for keeping me waiting because she thought I was with the man checking out. She found a room that met out needs and wee were pleasantly surprised ~ clean with new flooring and new fixtures. Great beds and good pillows for a reasonable price. Breakfast wasn't included but the restaurant was very good and was reasonable

We stayed a couple nights while family stayed well over a week. The rooms were nice, clean and a decent size. The beds were okay, not overly hard or soft. (Pillows were awesome, and PLENTY) The staff were excellent, very helpful and always smiling. Very happy with customer service. Though the hotel had no pool, they did offer a free days pass to a gym that was down the street that had a pool. Not exactly what I like (makes it hard for a late or early swim) but still the offer was there. Right across the street from Upper Canada mall, next to a liquor store and Shoppers drug mart (they sell everything) There is a budget car rental part of the building as well. We ate a couple times at the restaurant in the hotel. The staff were very nice as well, and the food was pretty good. The prime rib was Excellent when they offer it. I recommend if you are in the area.

We were in the area for a wedding and stayed for 1 night at this hotel, which we've stayed at several times before. It is comfortable and pleasant. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are large and very clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The hotel has been redecorated since we were last there.

I was so impressed with all of the staff from the front desk to housekeeping. They truly understand the concept of Customer Service. Each morning I was greeted by the staff to welcome me to my day and ascertain if I had had a good night's rest. They all wanted to make sure that all of my needs were met. The attached restaurant staff recognized me on the second day and remembered what I had had for breakfast the day before. Wow, Customer Service! The room was super clean and well decorated with all of the amenities that I needed. I had a great stay here!

We had booked our room through Expedia and were disappointed to find that meant our room was to be in the motel-like section of the property, and on ground level. We didn't need the room immediately (we did arrive before normal check-in) but would be returning later in the evening. The staff worked with us and for a minimal upgrade charge we were given a room to our liking in the tower section. After a similar request for a quiet room above ground floor not being fulfilled as promised a couple of weeks ago with a different chain, I was pleasantly surprised to get a voice message confirming that the room we desired was ready for us. As to the room, it was really quite spacious with a full couch, fridge and ample lighting. The room on the fourth floor was quiet, clean and the bed comfortable, not your typical board like mattress. The friendly greeting upon entering the lobby was appreciated. I would definitely recommend this hotel and return here if in the area again.

Hotel was great for our one night stay. Staff very friendly and always greeted us . The room was clean and spacious for our family. The air conditioning was loud as it was an older unit by the window. It also blows the curtains out and the sun shone through early in the morning. I'm a light sleeper when travelling so not too bothered by that! Overall, well located and would return.

The room was large and comfortable and very clean. All amenities functioned properly. Parking was very convenient. Beds were very comfortable. Room was ready upon our arrival and our upgrade request was fulfilled. Great location, close to shopping and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for 2 days because of my husband having surgery at Southlake. The front desk staff have been incredibly friendly. Every time I returned I was asked if all was ok. I had read TA reviews and knew I didn't want the motel part at the back..(only because as I was alone) and I would feel safer in the " tower" ( a 4 story building with elevator). The room on the fourth floor was all I could ask for. Thick towels, great bathroom amenities, the bed was So comfortable, the sheets ironed just so, excellent view of Yonge Street and the Upper Canada Mall, lots of places for eating close by, There was a fridge, not the teeny one but this was about 3 feet tall with freezer so more room for whatever you need it for. There is an LCBO a 1 minute walk as well as a Shoppers Drug Mart. I felt totally at home during my stressful couple of days. A huge thank you to this Best Western for providing me with such excellent accommodation !

Stayed for one night with 2 other guys for a golf tourney. We didn't have reservations. Two very friendly ladies at the counter on check in took care of us right away. We got a 2 bedroom with a pull out couch that was perfect as well they offered a military discount. We actually came here because the Holiday Inn up the street could not accommodate us and they referred us to here. Large size room and very clean. It's all we needed.

The hotel is excellent, well staffed and well located in the Newmarket area. The hotel has excellent facilities. If possible though, try to stay in the main hotel. The motel part is aged and dated and the quality of the accommodation drops substantially from that of the hotel itself.

We've stayed at this location several times and will keep coming back. Very clean location, comfortable, well-appointed guest rooms and friendly, efficient staff. On-site restaurant, but within walking distance of other restaurants and shopping centre.

A great stay at the Best Western Voyageur Place Hotel, in Newmarket,ONTARIO, Canada. Had a great sleep in the very comfortable bed. Very nice and helpful staff at the front desk during check in made my stay more enjoyable, and I would highly recommend this location.

This was a very clean, quiet stay. The staff were helpful and courteous. The internet was appreciated and the rooms were kept very clean. The air-conditioner was in good working order and kept us comfortable. i would recommend this hotel.

This hotel is a gem in the middle of chaos. The Yonge St., Davis Drive intersection is horrible at best, noise wise and traffic congestion is so start. And then there is this hotel - as soon as you walk into the cool hush of the lobby, it all fades away. The Front of The House Staff are quick and attentive with wonderful personalities who know their jobs well. The rooms have recently been renovated and are lovely. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, the bathroom had all the extra perks you would expect but of a higher quality than you would possibly expect. It was spotless, as was the bedroom. Our room overlooked Yonge St. Facing the mall and a pond with ducks and geese. Once it was late and traffic was slow, it was quite a pretty sight:) We left the next morning at 10:00 so that we could go to the Saturday Farmers Market at Fairy Lake, meeting friends there to have lunch before heading home to Toronto. I was surprised to see that the lobby was very busy at that time of the morning - a lady outside explained to me that this hotel was the #1 hotel in Newmarket for wedding parties and they are always booked solid every weekend. That says it all! If we should have to stay overnight in Newmarket again, this will certainly be my hotel of choice and highly recommend it.

Location is perfect for us and the hotel is clean and staff friendly and courteous. Everything from eating places and stores, even car rental location is right there including public transport. They are also animal friendly from what I saw.

This hotel is clean, convenient, comfortable, and all the staff I spoke with were incredibly friendly, professional and helpful. It's close to a number of different shops, transit and restaurants, all within easy walking distance. I visited The Buttery only for breakfast, but had good food and service there. It seems to be quite popular with the residents too! (Don't forget to take your keycard envelope with you for a discount.)

The service was great. The inside is beautifully done and the rooms are exceptional compared to the outside. We would certainly stay there again. The only thing is there is no complimentary breakfast. But there is a restaurant on site called the Buttery and you receive a 10% discount. We had dinner there and breakfast the next day. The food was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this hotel

I highly recommend - the staff very professional , friendly . The room, quality #1... Actually we felt spoiled - well taken care of .. You will enjoy I guarantee your stay. The food was excellent- room, service all in all ..no complaints whatsoever.. A great night sleep on the most perfect mattress- you will so appreciate. I know I did.

Nothing would be memorable or bad about this place really, if you book online and save plenty for a nightly stay. If you are paying front desk fare, you would be far happier at the Holiday Inn down the road. The beds are hard, the pillows are hard, noise from outside and guests talking, shouting, arguing, etc. can be heard at all hours. Nothing is done to stop this and staff is quite rude if asked. Only view available is the parking lot where there was a kid and an adult continually kicking around a soccer ball that was constantly hitting cars. When we asked for this to stop, we were told that it was private property and they could kick around balls if they wished. Rooms are clean and cleaning staff quite nice. However stay away from the old troll at the front desk with the big hair. She will make your stay miserable from the get-go. We more than one time listened to her loudly chastising guests while speaking with her and even listened to her being abusive to who ever she was shouting at over the phone. She immediately put our stay on such a negative note that it was difficult to enjoy our trip after a run-in with her. If she was removed, the hotel would be a far nicer place. Most other staff were welcoming and polite. If it hadn't been for the convenient location and the huge discount we were able to get online, there is no way we would have stayed.

The hotel was easy to find & easy to get to, just off Davis Drive onto Yonge Street. Parking is a little tight in front of the hotel, but there are many more spaces on the side & parking is free. The location is right across the street from a large mall, with a cross walk down half a block. It was an easy (and safe) walk for me. The hotel room was very, very clean. It had a larger fridge without a freezer compartment, a desk & an office chair in addition to a sofa bed & the standard furniture. No microwave. The bed was comfortably firm. The remote for the TV was in a small bag, I'm assuming to indicate that it had been specially cleaned. I thought that was a nice touch. We did lose the TV connection a few times for very short periods, though. The noise level at the hotel was very acceptable. The decorating was a bit odd, with a large lamp on the desk right in front of an art piece on the wall. Window overlooked the front parking lot, Yonge Street, and the mall. We didn't take advantage of the 10% off coupon for the restaurant, the Buttery. The front staff were friendly and helpful.

Pillows are like bunching up some old laundry and sleeping on it. Mattresses firm, so no comfy night sleep but a backache each morning. Wifi is terrible. TV is always losing connection. Heater is so loud it is better to be cold and sleep with it off as it never goes off. Passes for a local gym are given but only if you are aware of them as we were not and it was not mentioned. View is only of a parking lot and a huge sign reading LCBO on the wall of a building in front of parking lot. Restaurant is expensive and not very good and not connected but gives a 10% discount. Big deal. Would not recommend. There is however a nice Holiday Inn down the road with free breakfast, bright rooms, pool and microwaves in room with entres that can be purchased in lobby. Wow. Same price and comfortable beds.

Don't stay here if you need Internet. Couldn't get a signal in our room. Had to go to the lobby to get a signal. Other than that, we liked the hotel. Bed was comfortable and the room was a decent size. The attached restaurant is good. The staff were friendly but of course couldn't do anything about the wifi.

We have always been satisfied with our stay at this hotel . We stay there at least twice a year . The hotel staff are pleasant and accommodating . The beds are bedding are very clean and comfortable and the rooms are very clean.

I had an amazing room, Staff was of great with service,, My issue is, If I'm paying for a room, I booked in at 5.00 pm, I should have the room Until 5. pm the next day... Instead I have to pay and extra 35.00 dollars and i get to stay till 2 pm, or I have to be out at 11 am.. I was not satisfied with this, I would of like to travel around Newmarket a little longer but my stay got cut short...

our room was very clean and close to shopping mall and a tim Hortons as well as many other fast food and shopping. Would stay there again. Bed was clean and very comfortable. Room had microwave a small frig as well as hair dryer in bathroom.

Over many years I have occasionally had the opportunity while on business to stay at this property. It has never been a disappointment. For me everything is of a high calibre and this venue has always fulfilled my needs, including a quality on-site restaurant. I wish I could stay longer during my business trips.

Located across from a major shopping mall on main street. Friendly staff. Baths are clean and appear to be recently remodeled. This place appears to be a very popular hotel as it was booked solid when I checked in.

Just stayed here for a night while traveling through. Staff at the front desk on night shift were very nice and pleasant. I told them I had to write an online test the following day after check out, and they offered me their boardroom at no charge. Room was great, and they extended checkout time for me too. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, great location (close to restaurants, shopping, LCBO, GoodLife). Grateful that they went out of their way to help me, and the night desk attendant even left notes and made the full reservation for me in the boardroom. All staff that I spoke to were very nice and pleasant.

We had a great time at the Best Western Voyageur. It served it's purpose for us. The staff were absolutely delightful. The bed was comfy and the room was spotless. The wallpaper makes the place seem a little dated. Paint would help with that. Honestly their level and standard of cleanliness has been some of the best I've seen in hotels and we will definitely be back to stay!

Stayed here a few weeks ago while traveling for work. Overall I was happy with the experience. I found it a bit dated but the front desk person was nice. Also I had breakfast at the attached restaurant and the service and food were great. I would stay here again.

There's only 2 hotels to choose from in this city and I am glad I chose this one. Customer service is awesome as is the rooms that I get. Very clean rooms, lots of towels. I wish they had valet parking with an overhead canopy so that I can temporarily park while unloading my car. Also, the parking is limited and I don't like to park behind and walk all that way. Wish they also had room serviced and a gym. Maybe one day, they can buy out the entire area next door and expand to include their own restaurant and have more parking available. Anything you wish, they will get it for you. Quiet except during hockey season and wedding season but it does get quiet. great for business as well as pleasure

We were thereto watch our grandson play in a hockey tournament. The hotel he stayed at was full (of tournament contestants) so we booked here. A fortuitous turn of events. It was quiet, comfortable, and not full of young exuberant young people. There was not a free breakfast so we ate elsewhere. We didn't eat at the adjoining restaurant, which was supposed to be good. Parking was adequate. A shopping centre is across the road. The arenas were nearby. Our focus was hockey. We did nothing else but watch great hockey for 3 days. Our grandson was MVP for the championship game. His team won the championship trophy. It was a great weekend. No complaints.

Nice hotel to stay in. Internet access is terrible. If you need to prepare reports for the next day good luck. The Internet usually crashes around 10 pm for at least half an hour. Called help desk. They were not helpful. So if you need Internet for business purposes don't stay here.

I had a business trip just outside of cottage country and needed a midway point to stay the night. The desk staff were fun and very friendly, a great check-in experience. The facility, while being older, was clean and comfortable. The only problem was I had to get on the road very early in the morning and had to find a place to eat since the breakfast buffet was not open yet. Still I would stay again.

If you want to extend your stay they want 25% more per night. Their picture shows a nice high rise type building. The reservation said upper floor. Unfortunately it was an upper floor on a motel style addition on the back of the building. This meant a climb up an outside staircase at minus 14 degrees Celcius. Not what I was expecting. Once up there, the room was quite nice, but not pleasant for an older person with walking difficulties.

Clean, comfortable room. Nice restaurant. But if you're hoping to get some work done during your stay - look elsewhere. The internet is wholly unreliable and apparently that's the norm. I had to leave my clean, comfortable room just to stay on top of work. I'll stay elsewhere next time.

There are very few choices in Newmarket for hotels. The Best Western Voyageur Place is very good on two fronts. Location and food services. It is right where you want to be if your traveling into the city, shopping, and dining in the area. The number one reason though is The Buttery. A wonderful, locally operated restaurant with scrumptious food, an elegant ambience, and a first class staff. The owners are right there. The hotel is comfortable and clean, but not the newest hotel in town. Right across from Upper Canada Mall.

I stayed only one night on business. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable, one of the best nights sleep I have had in weeks. Front desk staff was very friendly and fun. Only draw back was the restaurant for breakfast open at 7 am and I had to be on the road by 6:30 am and thus had to find somewhere to eat. I would recommend staying here

We have been here before and came back, partly because of its location which is convenient for us, but you don't come back if you're not happy, and we still are. We were greeted warmly, efficiently, and appropriately. Our room was spacious, clean and pleasant. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom large. We'll stay here again on our next trip to town.

This hotel has been around for quite some time and it shows. It is quite dingy. The ceiling in my room was damaged and in disrepair. The wallpaper is old as is the shower curtain. The fan in the heating/cooling unit was very loud and the sleep setting didn't do anything. The tub sounded like it wasn't 'seated' properly on the floor and made a clunking sound under my feet during my shower. When I arrived, I had a ton of stuff in my hands and had to juggle things in order to pull open two sets of doors. No one offered assistance, despite the fact that there were 2 staff at the desk and one in the foyer watching me. I was, however, treated very well by the 2 women at the desk and was thankful they provided me with useful information which is the only reason I am giving the hotel 3 stars.

It's hard to get to the top, but it's even harder to stay there. This hotel has it figured out and do everything well. I travel 100+ days per year, and I have to say, this was the cleanest room I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. The standards here are high, and the housekeeping staff should be commended for their hard work and efforts. Room is adequate, has everything you need for your stay including fridge & microwave, good shower pressure, reliable fast internet (even during peek times) and best of all, amazingly comfortable bed and pillows. Did I mention how clean it is ? I would eat off the floor here, I'm not kidding. Restaurant onsite has been in business for 25+ years and they have the same outstanding standards. Good quality food, good service, reasonable prices. Just an amazing stay.

The staff was extremely friendly. Our room was very spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable. One of the downfalls of this place is there was no continental breakfast. The hotel is in a great location very close to shopping and dining. I was there with my mom for an appointment at the hospital. The staff went out of there way to make us feel comfortable.

This hotel is close to great shopping and seemingly unlimited dining choices! The hotel restaurant offered great value and good quality breakfasts. We were especially impressed by the cleanliness of this hotel. Rooms are not huge, but certainly adequate. All amenities offered worked great and WiFi connection was good

The staff on check-in and check-out were helpful. Parking was adequate and close to the entrance. Exiting the hotel is awkward if one wishes to go south to Toronto. The restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent.

There seems to be 2 sections to this hotel, a motel part and regular hotel part. The access to the motel part is directly from the parking area. The hotel part is from an internal elevator and looks a little nicer. They have a courteous and friendly front staff and a special rate for persons going to the Regional Health Centre . The motel unit was convenient, quiet, clean and comfortable but had the usual motel characteristics. The restaurant in the same building was very good, pleasantly decorated, friendly staff and good food reasonably priced. It is observably a local favourite.

The room is a tad small, seems to be a former motel converted to a hotel. Room entrance is direct from outdoors. Parking close to the room was handy. Room well equipped with a microwave and fridge. The work table is inadequate for any serious work effort. WIFI worked but was open to anyone in the area; no password required. The walls are thin and I could hear and understand the discussion in the next room.

If you are looking for a convenient location in New Market/Aurora area The Best Western Voyageur is the place. Very close to malls, restaurants, LCBO, Pharmacy next door. Great food in the Buttery Restaurant with great staff to serve you. My second time staying here and would definitely stay here again.

Rooms were clean, staff very friendly, beds very comfortable. Great location right across the street from the Upper Canada Mall. The Buttery is attached and food quality and pricing is very good. We will definitely be back.

Clean, and well managed, this hotel has a clean feel to it and staff was courteous and professional. The beds were a little softer than necessary and they made my neck hurt but the washrooms were fairly well maintained.

We were at the tail end of a vacation but my wife had a business meeting nearby the following morning. Before leaving the Thousand Islands area earlier that day I looked on-line for a hotel near the Keg and movie theatre. What a pleasant surprise!! We did not have a reservation but parked right outside the front door and were in a perfectly cleaned, good sized room in under 5 minutes. 20 minutes later we were eating lunch in their restaurant with an unbelievably good and professional greet and wait staff. The food was par excellence. The following morning they gave me a late check out as I waited for my wife. I took full advantage of the restaurant again. Wonderful place.

Contrary to information given on line and on telephone this hotel does not have a pool. They confirmed at check-in that this was a re-occurring issue and that they had coupons for an off-site pool a 10 minute drive away, but it was closed.

It has been years since I have stayed at this property. The room was great but I arrived late and had to leave early for business. The restaurant used to be very good and from the activity when I checked into the hotel it still seems like a popular place. Parking is a bit of a challenge but it is there.
