Best Western Patriots Point

This hotel is in a great location and the rooms were pretty clean. We stayed two nights. The hotel ran out of hot water our first day so had to take a very cold shower at 7 am. Also could hear the kids in the room next door and folks in the hallways so had to sleep with the bathroom fan on to drown out the noises. The bathtub floor had a patch on it and it was very soft. I think they need to do some repairs. I would not recommend this hotel on a busy weekend but probably okay mid-week.

The hotel was clean and the staff was wonderful. Beds were comfy. This Best Western is a very short (10 min) walk or drive to Patriots Point Navel museum. There are food options nearby. The facility was located in a safe and friendly area. My family has no concerns walking in the area of the hotel either during the day or night. It was no problem to getting in a nice walk or run.

We had a great stay here! Very close to Charleston and everywhere we wanted to go, but not in a super busy area with lots of traffic, which was nice! The room was very clean and well taken care of! The staff members were very friendly and offered us fresh cookies whenever we passed through the lobby! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone heading to the area, and we would definitely stay here again! :)

I've stayed here while doing overnights in Charleston and have always had an enjoyable stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, there is ample and safe parking, and the front desk staff is freindly and accommodating. It's a hidden jewel in the Charleston area! I highly recommend Best Western/MtP

I was told by both the hotel and the Hopper app that my accidental booking for the wrong date would be cancelled and reversed. I tried the night of the booking and the day of booking within 24 hours to cancel and get some kind of refund with no response from either side after following up multiple times. I was given the run around from both Hopper and the Hotel. I am very disappointed and feel like both parties are money hungry and not that to serve customers. I work in the service industry and would never consider treating people this way just because you can. Shame on both Hopper and the hotel for saying you would reverse the charges and then doing nothing.

This facility was among one of the best places I have stayed in while looking for a quick resting spot. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will certainly look for THIS place when I come through the Charleston area again.

We walked into the hotel and what met us? Hot cookies! The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. It was easy to find and centrally located. We enjoyed the hot breakfast before leaving, and after staying in Charleston with valet parking, the free parking lot was a huge plus.

My family and I had an amazing experience staying at the BW-Patriot's Point in Mount Pleasant, SC. We were looking for a hotel a short drive from downtown Charleston, and this location was perfect: close enough to the College of Charleston campus but in an area with a little more breathing room. At check-in, the front desk staff person Dev greeted me with a smile. Upon request, Dev provided me with a room in a quiet section close to the stairs and just far enough away from the elevators to avoid early morning hallway traffic. We were able to enjoy a delicious breakfast each morning; I was very happy to know that gluten and dairy free options were available as well! At check-out, Dev made sure we had everything we needed and bid us a safe and happy journey home. I will definitely use BWPP for my future stays. Thank you for a lovely and worry-free weekend!

The staff were pleasant and the facility was very clean. The breakfast was also very good. I don't have anything else to say to meet this 200 character minimum box. Y'all need to fix this box so that there's no 200 character minimum.

We stayed this past weekend for the SEWE Festival and had an amazing stay. The customer service was hands down perfect, the man working the front desk the Saturday morning we checked out was one of the most pleasant and considerate employees I've ever met! Not only was he multi tasking by taking care of the breakfast area but also working the desk, you could tell he put genuine care into everything he was doing and making sure everyone had the best experience possible. Would stay again just because of this one employee!

I had tradesman coming into town for an assignment and Best Western was able to accommodate our needs. The room was great and staff were wonderful. We will definitely be staying here again when in the Charleston area.

This hotel offers good complimentary breakfast, clean hotel room, and friendly service. The location is close to Charleston Downton, about 10 min drive. The hotel offers a spacious parking spot. The hotel price is way cheaper than those in Downtown. Highly recommend it!

Older hotel but well taken care of. We arrived early and they where able to get us in immediately. Staff at front desk where very friendly and seemed happy to help in any way they could. Room and whole building was very clean. Location is close to many things to see and an easy drive to old downtown Charleston.

Great experience. Hotel staff helped me get a last minute deal the night of my stay. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was solid with a decent amount of different options. Would absolutely stay here again

We enjoyed our time in Charleston .. It was just a short uber ride downtown. We were taken back by the pricing though. Not exacly a 200 night hotel but for the location we took it. The challenge was sleeping at night with kids running and wrestling above us till 1:30 -2 am Shoukd have asked for top floor

Nice friendly staff. Excellent breakfast! More than just bagels & cheese! Clean room, comfy bed. Big room very nice bathroom. Handicapped parking close to front door for easy access. Recommend!

Quick check-in, room was clean and sowas the bath. Mattress was covered by a separate plastic (?) sheet, causing a lot of sweating. Room was very quiet, WiFi, A/C were OK and also the Breakfast Selection.

Our hotel room, the staff, and parking were all excellent. I loved the window section in our room. It was great for putting my luggage and bags of shopping that we did. The location was very close to tons of shopping and a variety of dining experiences. It was only a short 10 mins to the beach! Will stay again here in the future!

Great stay. Front staff was very helpful (sorry I forgot the lady's name who helped us with extra bed so son/daughter did not have to share). Felt safe walking around area, close to Charleston (just minutes from Arthur Ravenel bridge), close to Hwy 17 to travel to Myrtle Beach. Comfy beds, pillows. Pool area could use more lights at night, but other than that, highly recommend.

Patriots Point Best Western! Excellent place to stay, Dev and Danny were great staff, courteous, helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly and understanding. Breakfast was awesome and the evening cookies they gave out to guests were the Bomb!!!

Room was smaller than expected but I had only booked a 1 queen bed room so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. Upon checking in, I had to wait for the front desk person to come from the back. I asked about the BW Gold perks, and he grabbed a plastic bag and threw a bottle of water in it. Did not feel particulary welcoming, it seemed like he was preoccupied with something else. Room was clean, but no frig or microwave. Upon further research, saw they were available for a nominal fee. This is the first hotel I've stayed in that did not have this. But to be fair, there was really no room for it. There were some cookies in the evening tho, that were good.

We felt very welcome when checking in. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. We will recommend to our Families and friends.We were in a great location. The breakfast was good.The cable wasn't to good but it was ok. I would love to come back. Com to stay alittle longer. There so mucj more we didm't see or do. Had a great with my family . Love to come back and stay longer.

I was a little skeptical that a hotel located so convenient to the Cruise Port was this inexpensive. I must say it was a pleasant surprise to drive up and see a very modern building with a manicured lawn. We were greeted by the front desk staff in a very friendly manner and was in our rooms in no time. Again, I was pleasantly surprised that both rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would highly recommend it.

I did not stay after I checked in. I went to the front desk and reported and odor and that the hot water did not work in the room. They did not seem interested in my complaint because I redeemed points for this stay and they referred to it as "free". Nothing was done to rectify the issue and no other rooms were available. I have yet to receive a call from the hotel staff, and they said it wasn't an emergency because they're only required to have cold water. I am very disappointed. I checked out shortly after checking in and booked a hotel at the Candlewood Suites. I would like to renounce my Best Western Loyalty Membership and will never stay at another Best Western or associated hotel again.

First visit to Charleston booked the Best Western because of location.Price was reasonable and room was clean and beds were comfortable. Close to Patriots Point and 15 minutes to Boone Plantation.All in all great bang for the buck.

Room was clean - showers need a little work - not that powerful - front desk very pleasant and friendly - Breakfast was okay. Cleaners were friendly- Pool needs a little attention - but wind and leaves could be the problem.

My stay there on 7/13/23 was unacceptable. Room issues: The toilet lid does not stay up and the seat is broken. Big liability in the rental business. The granite was too wide for the lid to stay up. The a/c: a person my age cannot get down on the floor nor should they have to, to read the thermostat. The shower: No water regulation. It is either very hot or cold: no in between. I should of automatically been refunded. When booking the room I requested not to be by the elevator or ice machine . I had a response that would was no problem . My room was 2 doors down from the elevator and across the hall from the ice machine . So much about requesting those two things. I have sleep issues and stayed awake all night as people were continuously using the ice machine. This hotel is not safe. During the night a lady was saying she was I will shoot this door down if you don't let me in. I called the front desk , no assistance. The manager did not seem concerned as I have emailed and left message . His name I was told was Rilesh Mohan. Have no idea since he/she has not responded .They told me they do not rent to locals. Well I am a resident of Charleston. I believe that is local. I will call the police next time. Not safe and definitely no worth the money. I would give negative stars if I could .

It looks very new! Well maintained grounds. Everything was great: very clean and comfortable roon, nice breakfast bar, and the staff were very helpful. The surprising thing is the price that made the family vacation more relaxed.

The only good thing about this place is the location. Lights in room didn't work upon check in and everything was just so depressing aesthetically. My boyfriend and I didn't even want to sleep in the bed it was so gross. Not worth $200 for one night. Go elsewhere.

Much nicer than I expected. We booked the 2 queen with pull out sofa. The room was much bigger than expected. There was a fridge and microwave. The bathroom was really big too. My sister in law said she saw the other rooms and they didn't seem as big and looked like “regular size” rooms. The place was clean (as far as hotels go). The guy at the desk was super nice and the breakfast was decent. Way too many sugar items but there was bacon and eggs too. For the price and location you cannot beat this place. I don't usually stay in hotels because my best friend is local but because there were 5 of us we definitely needed a hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

The first room we entered has strange smell. Someone has smoked something weird inside. The second room smells normal. The breakfast is good, considering it is complimentary. Everything else is fine. Manager is helpful in changing rooms.

My family and I stayed at the best Western in Mt. Pleasant because I was closing on my house and had no where to go my over all experience was great the staff was very helpful and friendly breakfast was good rooms werw clean and beds were nice for location and price you can't beat it

Room was clean and comfortable. The front desk person was friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and directions. Breakfast was very good. Food was hot and there was a variety of things to choose from. Will stay there again.

We stayed 2 nights and everything was great until the morning I was packing to checkout and a roach came crawling from behind my toiletries on the bathroom counter!!!! Probably will not be staying here again.

We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and neat the room was - one light did not work but that's because the plug behind the bed was out. Do not like exposed wires, so had an issue with the black cables hanging from the TV.

The stay was great, Internet was great and shuttle service to and from the port is the best!! Breakfast was hot and ready along with the coffee. The area was busy because it's Charleston/Mount Pleasant but these folks were accommodating and friendly!

The room was small not like online, the shower head didn't work good the toilet had to be flushed twice to work and it ran. The tv was small. No where for the two of us to sit, only one chair. Breakfast was horrible. The bacon and eggs were gross. The coffee was disgusting like brown water the milk was spoiled and outdated

After reading so many mixed reviews on here, we were hesitant about staying here. Pleasantly surprised. It is an older hotel, but was clean and had coffee 24 hrs. that was very good coffee. Breakfast was not great unless you want instant oatmeal and such as that. Hot items were just edible. Location of the hotel was very convenient to the cruise port, being just over the bridge. I guess what most people want to know is that it was clean and yes, we would stay here again.

Hotel is clean, room was well maintained and bed was comfortable. Room didn't have a mini fridge,but made due with cooler & ice. Breakfast is basic,waffles,eggs,bacon. Selection of cereal & pastries. Area is well maintained & clean. The only thing that was off was check in clerk, polite but totally uninterested. Would stay there again if in the area.

I am a platinum member and i was happy with my stay ..Breakfast was good and the room with king bed was good as well .Pool was closed until 12pm because key could not be found but one of the maintenance men helped us get in at 1030amd and the pool was great before sightseeing for the day ... Would stay again if in the area

Very poor quality for Best Western. I picked this because of very pleasant experience in a Best Western Plus in Palm Coast F. A fresh coat of paint does not upgrade a hotel any higher that it was. Breakfast biscuits hard as bricks, cold eggs. Loud noises from doors closing, it spunded like someone was paling ball upstairs from us.

Check in desk clerk was monumentally disinterested in our arrival. Asked where to park for cruise..response, A lazily mumbled "it doesn't matter". Room was clean, pillows were like bags of rocks. Lots of street noise. Check out person was as disinterested in us as check in.

Checked in late night after canceling reservations at another hotel. The night clerk was kind and welcoming which was experienced throughout the rest of our stay at the hotel. Everyone from front desk to breakfast attendant was friendly and appreciative of our business. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well staffed, so it made for a wonderful vacation retreat after a long day of seeing Charleston sights.

Easily accessible at the end of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge across from Charleston. Close to the highway but secluded to avoid traffic noise. Clean, quiet, safe area with plenty of free parking on site. The room and bedding were clean, no creepy crawlers of any kind. It had tile floors, black out curtains, a mini 'fridge and microwave. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. An elevator for the upper floors, no having to lug your bags up multiple stairs. Close to shopping and restaurants, although I would not advise walking to them as the highway is busy at all hours of the day. The staff was very courteous and professional. Close to Patriots Point Complex and Soccer Stadium. the Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum featuring the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown, the destoyer USS Laffey and a replicated Vietnam military camp. More affordable than staying in downtown Charleston and close enough to get to Old Charleston in minutes. I would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Most reasonable price we could find but definitely not up to Best Western standards. The breakfast was marginally OK and the layout was terrible. The hostess was terrific but the food selection was convenience store quality.

One room had mold on ceiling. No hot water. The first room was not cleaned. We had to be moved to another room with a queen bed instead of a king. Only offered $10 night discount. When we didn't accept, they somehow found us another king bed. Breakfast was good.

Where to start! If there was a place for ZERO stars I would give it! We go to check in and they give us keys to a room already being used, then it took them 15 minutes to get another room for us. Once we got in the room, the toilet ran all Night and the AC wasn't even cold. Next morning the cereal (mini wheats to be exact) was stale. Go back to the room the second day, key doesn't work. Lady at the desk wouldn't give me a new key because it was my husband on the reservation. She asked for my ID and put me on the reservation which made zero sense since she STILL didn't give me a key! I told them we had the room last night and it's not my fault the key doesn't work. This isn't a new reservation just make me a new key! The key she made didn't work, four trips back and forth with it not working, she finally figured it out. While at the desk, another lady couldn't get in her room and some other lady came down In a towel and said someone just came in her room. They don't keep up with who they are giving keys to and what rooms are clean and ready for someone else. It's a hot mess over there! Do yourself a favor and stay ANYWHERE else! They suck!!!!!!!

If you are looking for an affordable, clean, good location hotel then you will be happy with Best Western Patriots Point. If you plan to spend a lot of time at the pool stay somewhere else. Pool was horrible!!!! Filthy!!! Hotel is in the process of updating the inside. Hopefully the pool will be next!!!

Great friendly staff! The hotel is currently being renovated so expect that it's a work in progress. Room was clean and this hotel is a great location. We have stayed here in the past and looking forward to a future stay, especially after all the upgrades have been completed. Thanks!

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT ever stay at Best Western Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. When we arrived to the hotel we definately figured out we were catfished. There was a dead rodent laying right outside of the hotel entrance. When entering the hotel it was a disaster, along with an extremely rude attendant at the front desk. I requested to be able to check out our room prior to checking in. She rudely swiped the card to activate the room key and then handed it to me without saying a word. The room was absolutely DISGUSTING!!!! Hair and who knows what else on the bed linens and more stains on the cushion under the window. The smell was horrible as well and was obviously not clean. When we went back to the front desk to cancel and attempt to quickly find a different place to stay, the attendant had a horrible attitude with us once again. Thankfully Holiday Inn came to the rescue and quickly found four families a place to stay for the week! They were above AWESOME!!! Unfortunately, after attempting to reach the hotel multiple times to not be charged for our stay, they have sent the charge through. The first call we were told the manager was not available, the second time she said she didn't have time for us and the third she said the manager was not available. I had reached out to corporate by phone and they were of no assistance. Only wanted to give me points for a future stay….no thanks. And I emailed twice still with no response. Well Best Western….thanks for being super NOT hospitable. That Southern hospitality completely went out the door.

This hotel is only a 5 minute drive over the bridge to Charelston. Very easy to get in and out of and close to Patriots Point. The staff is very accomidating and the hotel is clean. It is very family friendly. The breakfast is from 6-10 so you can get coffee early! The rooms are updated and the hotel is being painted on the inside. They definatley take pride in looks!

OK, so it's a Best Western, and the quality of the rooms/breakfast was exactly as expected. Clean rooms, standard breakfast. They were undergoing renovations, but were very careful not to disrupt guests (not an easy task), and Tammy at the front is AWESOME and never stops working! We had an awesome stay at an awesome price. Convenient to everything (downtown, isle of palms, Sullivan's, Mt. Pleasant). Super happy with this place.

This Best Western was close enough to downtown to quickly get to all our destinations without the "Downtown Charleston" room rates.The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

We had driven a long way to get to this hotel. Check in was 3pm but we arrived early. We went in to ask the receptionist if early check in was possible. She barked at us i have no rooms, we suggested we came back a little later & her aggresive manor continued. We went fir something to eat & then drove back & stood in line while one receptionist tried to check everyone in. On getting in the elevator to our room i couldnt belive how dirty the carpet was. This continued throughout the hotel, really disgusting. Arrival at the room which was supposed to have a fridge did not, but the size of the room was like a large cupboard. The bed hiwever was very comfortable. The next morning was a complete joke at breakfast, the room was so tiny & people were pushing & shoving past you to get food, which was minimalistic, albeit they did have a waffle maker. We paid a lot of money for 2 nights, the hitel needs a really good clean & a decent size breakfast room.

Great hotel, just room was never cleaned in the 3 days we stayed there!!! No fresh towels. No trash emptied. Breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable. Just room was never cleaned!! Great location to Charleston!

Consistent in all the positive ways! We always have a nice stay at this Best Western. They've opened up their breakfast bar again which was nice. Room was very clean and comfortable. We were across from the hotel's laundry so it was a bit noisy in the morning.

Best Western at Patriot Point Charleston is a wonderful experience . Good breakfast included, friendly staff, centrally located and a fair price. I recommend it highly to anyone desiring to experience the Charleston area or the nearby beaches and other social activities.

Not only their linen was stained but the people in the front desk are animals with zero social skills or manners they will treat you like a pest and give you all kinds of attitude. The manager Tiffany A. Bell will not answer any calls or emails. Save yourself a bad experience there are plenty hotels that offer better service than this hole.

I have stayed at this hotel before. Loved it because the staff was so sweet and caring. Cookie at night and always saying hello and checking on you. NOW it was a not clean room Moved to a totally dirty room. Then back to the only somewhat dirty room. Not good but it was 10 pm. Stayed and the net day got an attitude from the desk clerk for asking for the room to be cleaned up. Staff is no nice and hated being there.

Great location for an easy drive into Charleston, but…If you enjoy cockroaches in your hotel room, filthy floors, hallways and elevators, pilled sheets, and sullen hotel employees, then this is the hotel for you.

Three relatively minor but items that should have been caught by the Room Inspector. Toilet paper installed wrong in bathroom, the alarm clock was flashing on the bedstand indicating it needed to be reset, TV remote did not work. For the safety of the guests, a wall safety grab bar should be installed next to the tub in the bathroom. The major complaint, there were no blackout curtains installed on the window. Which meant that the parking lot was shining into the room all night.

This particular BW is very basic. Basic accommodations, Great location, but way too expensive. There's no breakfast options other than a 'Grab & Go' bag with a frozen breakfast sandwich, and a granola bar.

Nice room and very convenient to Charleston activities. Everything worked fine. Only con is breakfast was to go due to covid. We did not use the pool. I did pre registration which made check in a little easier.

The room was filthy. My grandson feet was black front floor. Had to change own The "hot" breakfast was a sack breakfast. The chicken or sausage biscuit was awful even heated. The sofa bed in the accessibility room was broke. Couldn't sleep on the couch. Will not stay here again!

The door did not lock when shut. Notified maintance, was out all day, came back and the door was not locked! Someone could have stolen everything! Also, the blinds did not shut. There was a street light directly out side our window that shone in all night long. Also, they had 2 of the same pictures hanging on the walls. Will never stay there again!

Good hotel for your money for the area. The staff are nice and friendly. Beds are clean and comfortable. The hotel isn't new so don't expect everything to be shiny and bright. The hotel is in a great location. Fantastic restaurants and shopping are within minutes away.

I love Best Western but this did not feel like a Best Western experience. Couldn't shower due to knob came off in my hand. Tub grouting was coming off. Dirty floors under the light stand between beds and one of the lights wouldn't work. Lobby elevator needed TLC -grungy waiting for elevator. Desk helped me set up Uber for the first time. She was the bright spot in disappointed stay.

My sister and i and our children had traveled all day and spent a couple hours at the beach before we got to best western patriot point. There was a terrible musty/mildewy smell in the lobby when we walked in. we should have known. we were tired so we went ahead and got the rooms. when we got in the elevator it smelled like cigarette smoke and a cigarette butt was lying in the floor. the hall was filthy and had not been vacuumed. in the room, the shower had a filthy mat that had mildew and mold on the shower floor and the water stood when my daughter took a shower. there were splashes and smears of filth all over the bathroom and room. bathroom faucets didnt work properly. i went down to the lobby and told the clerk jarred that it was filthy and we wanted to go somewhere else and he told me that he would refund our money. i went back up to the room to pack up all our stuff- it took about 15 -20 minutes. the clerk jarred called the room while we were packing everything asking what was taking so long. we had a bunch of stuff and kids. when we got back to the lobby, jarred changed his mind and told me i would be charged for the night because we used the shower and towels and carried sand in the room. there were other guests standing around when jarred spoke rudely to me and refused to let me speak to the manager. he gave me a business card with the managers number and i attempted to call the number several times and each time the phone disconnected. i wasnt even able to leave a message. he then gave me a piece of paper with the corporate office number but the office was closed. i called the police after he raised his voice at me and frightened me. the dispatch advised me to leave the hotel so i went to the parking lot. when 2 officers got there i asked if i could get pictures of the room and hall and the clerk jarred told them i couldnt. the police then told me there was nothing they could do and that the clerk said i needed to leave. (if i paid for the rooms why did i have to leave?) i was very civil through everything and there were witnesses the entire time. I think i deserve a refund. dont you?

The website claims a FULL Breakfast with pictures of a large room with waffle makers and all other kings of food servers but none of those things were there. I got a brown bag with an orange the size of a tennis ball and a biscuit with some king of strange meat like thing on it and a granola bar. Granola bar only thing fit to eat.

I am a Best Western Platinum member and I would not recommend this hotel. There was no hot water for the shower, the tub drain wouldn't drain because it was full of hair, the shower rod was broken and the exhaust fan was clogged with dust.

Stayed here during a weekend get away near Charleston. The room was decent, but nothing special. The Covid-19 precautions were evident with the bagged breakfast and the linen exchange during your stay done by placing trash and towels in the hall way and fresh delivered in a bag outside your room. The proximity to great restaurants and Sullivan's Island was fabulous. Steer clear of the pool.

Staff was good and polite. Breakfast impossible to eat, didn't know if those bags with sandwiches -not sealed pouch- were safe to eat. Orange juice water with some light orange color. Smelly carpets front desk and corridors. Room had a clean and neat floor, bathroom okay, tv microwave. They didn't make the beds or service the room 215 on Thursday 15th. Bed Linen run down, bed comfort seemed not to be serviced/washed like in all other BW hotels we stayed before.

The staff was not friendly. We had to call twice for towels and washcloths, the housekeeping person was rude, like she did not want to be there. The ice machine on our floor was broken. We made reservations online with the rewards program. We checked out and the receipt was to be emailed to us. It was not accurate (overcharged).

Poor quality and service. Pool closed by Dhec, bathroom door was stuck if closed and required at least 2 persons to open, therefore no one closed door all the way. Refrigerator would not cool, reported, never fixed. Claimed work order was put in to repair. Cold bag breakfast, not edible. Was told would have hot breakfast. Trash overflowing in most areas. No cleaning at all, all trash, towels to be put in hallway. Then had to go up front and constantly ask for enough for the amount in your room. Just very unhappy with this place. Find somewhere else. I have stayed in 2 star hotels before with cheaper prices and so much better.

This is in a good location, but it is not very clean. The floors in room, bathroom and halls are disgusting. They do not come in and clean daily so I think it all builds up. There were long very dark hairs all over the place. Only one trash can in entire room/bathroom.

No problems except for short staffing and breakfast. Regularly had to wait a while for someone to appear at front desk, trash cans were full, ran out of orange juice second day. Covid bag breakfasts are a waste of resources as guests required to take entire bag and throw away what they don't want. Would be much better to not offer breakfast; just coffee and juice!

This hotel has gone downhill at lightning pace. Rooms are filthy and they don't clean the rooms during your stay. They also have not brought back the breakfast. You get a paper bag with an unidentifiable object in it. We understand having to make concessions during the pandemic, but they have not done one thing to try and operate full service again. The rooms are in major need of renovation. We will not return.

Location good, outside entranceway trash can was overflowing and wasn't emptied during the 3 days that we stayed there. Rooms smelled bad. Door stuck to the point a crowbar had to be used to gain access. Way overpriced for the quality of this hotel.

The room and service was substandard. Dirt and hair was all over the beds and floor. I did not feel comfortable in the room and preferred to be out of the room doing what ever. The staff seemed to be indifferent and need to take more pride in their hotel. There is a lot of competition in the area which they don't seem to fight for your business.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Best Western! It is conveniently located between Charleston and the Isle of Palms. The grab and go breakfast was nice. Our room was very nice and the staff were very helpful.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel from Jun 13 - 16 and it was a horrendous experience! We checked in the first night and were given a room that was filthy - had dust everywhere and the door was so swollen that you had to slam it to get it to close. We requested (and received) a different room the following day. It too appeared not to have been dusted in a very long time - which again triggered my allergies. There was trash on the floor - including a pretzel under the edge of the bed. The box springs and mattress were off of the bed base. There had apparently been work done in the room as the cabinet that contained the refrigerator and another area was missing the front and sides. In the bathroom, the one light switch had popped out of the wall and the faucet was coming loose from the wall. Although we received the new room we had encounters with 2 very rude employees - so customer service was non-existent. They acted as if it was inconveniencing them that we were staying at the hotel. In all of my travels, I have never left a bad review - but wanted to leave this for anyone looking at booking this hotel in the future.

We booked this hotel because we were attending a wedding and rehearsal dinner in Savannah. We wanted to be close to Savannah but not spend the price for a hotel room. I wish I had read reviews before booking. I understand that many people are not wanting to return to work after the pandemic because they can collect more money from unemployment by staying home. This hotel is obviously suffering from not having enough workers. After checking in, we read a flyer in the elevator that the rooms would not be cleaned. If we needed new towels, we should put ours in the hallway. We should also put our trash in the hallways to be collected. If we needed anything, we needed to call the front desk by 10:00 AM. Breakfast was a grab and go, even though we have stayed a week at another hotel and they have resumed full breakfast. The breakfast comes in a stapled paper bag. The flyer above food said it would include either a sausage biscuit or a chicken biscuit. There is no way to tell. Both my husband and I got a sausage biscuit, an apple and a granola bar. The juice machine was out of order. There was coffee and milk. Cereal and yogurt were also available but no spoon to eat with. The second day, I decided to not eat the breakfast provided. My husband did and his breakfast with the top side of a hamburger bun with cheese melted on top. The coffee machine and the juice machine were not working. Now for our room. We had two queen beds. They were comfortable. The air conditioner worked great. The hotel was actually quiet at night. There is no carpet on the floor which I prefer. However, the floor was filthy. When I took a shower, the water turned black from my feet. There is a small closet, a desk chair and a clock radio. The TV works well and their is one free movie channel. In the small bathroom, the toilet seat was cheap and rocked when you sat on it. The hair dryer was falling off the wall. My husband said he saw a bug in the shower. We say women cleaning rooms that had been vacated. They seemed to work until early evening. They were friendly. The woman that ran the guest services desk was not friendly at all. Her answers were short. No conversational skills. As I stated earlier, if I had read these reviews, I would have paid a few dollars more stayed at a different hotel.

Every toilet is messed up in this hotel. There is a night light you cannot turn off in the light socket. The hotel staff is rude and likes to stay behind doors until you forced him to come out, then they make you feel like you are a burden on them. The shower does not have much water pressure and it is a mounted on the wall that you cannot take it in your hand. This Is 2020s you need to update this hotel. I have stayed in better Best Westerns that allow dogs this hotel did not, and it was crappier than all those hotels put together

Checked into this room and turned on the light to find a roach scurrying across the floor. Used the bathroom and went to flush-no water in bowl or tank. Came out of bathroom & roach scurrying up the wall. Called reservation.com who made the reservation & the hotel will not refund the money. They were rude and said we checked in so owe for the room. If it was just a water issue, then being to another room would not have been a problem. The roaches made the hotel unsanitary to stay in so we had to find another hotel(no help from reservation.com) Avoid this hotel,

The room itself is OK, with a couple of exceptions. It is humid, even though air conditioning is running. Also, I had to call the front desk using my cellphone as the room phone had no phone cord attached. Calling the front desk turned out to be useless as the phone without the cord. This because the piece of paper that I was told had internet username/password was NOT in the key card packet where it was supposed to be. Upon reaching the front desk the woman rushed through speaking the letters/numbers of the code to access internet. After the login attempt failed she asked to to come downstairs so I could better SEE the login she was articulating over the phone. I read back to her the letters/numbers and she indicated they were correct. I then said that I was giving up this internet access quest— AND SHE WAS FINE WITH THAT! Room phone has no cord, doesn't connect to front desk, and internet access login not working— it ain't no thang!? Perhaps small issues, but there are many other lodging options in Charleston. Next time, I'll stay elsewhere.

We usually stay at Best Western & my husband had stayed here previously without any problems. I would rate it a 5 for location, but gave it a 3 for a few reasons. My husband did the check in & unfortunately did not read the notice hanging up about no housekeeping service--it would be nice if when checking in that this was mentioned. We stayed 4 nights & by the 3rd night, I went to request new towels--I was given 2 plastic bags to exchange my current towels. While I was doing this, another guest also came looking for towels--she was told to place the card in the lock requesting housekeeping & was upset that nothing had been done in her room as well. I also had to request more soap since we barely had any left. We routinely took items to the breakfast room to throw out since our trash was not emptied. We also had an issue with the shower--it was scalding hot until my husband somehow fixed the knob! We only took the Grab & Go sack once, since there wasn't anything to put on the microwave sausage biscuit-we just ate cereal & grabbed our coffee before heading out to go sightseeing. The pool was also closed despite being in the high 80's--it would have been nice just to be able to sit outside by the pool as an option I understand with COVID about restrictions, but I think the staff could have made more of an effort to let the guest know about their policies.

I have stayed in this hotel 1 night while passing through. The room was given to me very noisy whole night, there was a strange buzzing noise which was probably coming from electrical panel just in front of window. I informed receptionist during the night he confirmed me the noise is coming from AC unit and did nothing. In the morning I asked for a manager, receptionist told me there is no manager available till Monday, I asked from her to give me call back and I left my number but of course nothing! Do not waste your money!, sleep in your car at least you can have some sleep in it!

No coffee or cups in breakfast area. There were 3 people waiting. Front desk said they called housekeeping. Walking past me in the hall housekeeping was complaining about cups being out yesterday and having to change that "stupid coffee". Never had room serviced during our stay, no acknowledgement as a Platnium member with a snack or extra points at check in.

Convenient location for Charleston travelers! I though I found a great deal, but you get what you pay for I suppose. We chose to stay here because downtown hotels where pretty booked for our particular dates of travel. Slightly below average property that was cheaply remodeled and had poor water pressure and temperature. Hotels also need to get back to full hot breakfasts, it can be done safely. The staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. Thin walls, even for a hotel. I've worked in the hotel industry and hotel management, I know what is and isn't good customer service and what standard and expectations most guests have. This was my first time at a Best Western and I'm not sure I doubt I will stay at one again. It was not terrible, it just did not meet my expectations as a Marriott, Hilton, and boutique hotel traveler. We aren't mad for what we spent, but we should have known by the price it wouldn't meet our expectations.

We spent two nights at the Patriots Point Best Western. On arrival to the room the first thing we noticed was it was HOT. After dealing all night with an a/c unit that was running rough and not working at all we all woke up a bit grouchy. Now, my fault for forgetting to call the front desk first thing, but we did call at 2 pm while we were out seeing the sights asking for someone to look at the a/c unit. We didn't return to the room until 430, and nothing was done. We put the sign on the door asking for the room to be made up and nothing was done. So I called down to the front desk and asked first for someone to please come take a look at the a/c unit and please send up new towels at least. Sid, the A/C repair guy, he's why they get 2 stars. He came up, was amazingly fast at switching the units, super nice guy and very sweet about everything. The lady at the desk seemed like she may have been having a bad night. We never did get clean towels, which by the way, you have to ask the front desk for new towels and they won't make up your bed, and they don't use those door signs anymore... okay how was I supposed to know that??? The next morning as we were getting our sack breakfast, another guest had opened a bag and gone through a sack. It was done long before we got there. We ignored that bag and got our food, unfortunately the lady behind us opened another bag and started looking through it, the lady at the desk came uncorked on her and started screaming at the other guest. When we went to check out I turned and told my mom, whom I was traveling with, “you forgot your face diaper.” (Mask) I was very clearly talking to mom and motioning to her face. The lady at the desk yelled at me wanting to know what I said to her. She acted like she wanted to fight me or my mom who's in her 70's. The lady she screamed at in the breakfast area was in her late 50's... not sure why this lady was spoiling for a fight but she's a liability for this best western. I wouldn't go back. The gentleman that work here though, they were all amazing. The young man working the desk at night was great and Sid, just awesome ya'll. Oh one more thing.... you have an a/c in your room, but they control the temperature. I turned that sucker down to 61 and it never got below 70. Good luck!

This hotel was good for the price! I had no issues with my stay here, we were looking for somewhere nice and affordable to stay for 2 nights and had a good time staying here, staff were very nice, would definitely come again.

An over all good experience. Comfortable bed, close to sites, fair price and everyone was courteous and friendly... EXCEPT the lady at the front desk when we arrived in the afternoon of 3-18-21. She was in the back room and two guests were waiting in the lobby. She appeared and gave no welcome or greeting, just a curt "What's your last name?" to both guests then disappeared to the back room, again. She reappeared with two sheets of paper and said to the 1st person, "initial here, here and here and sign here" then said the same to the next guest. gave them their keys and then on to me and another guest that came in after me. No greeting, nothing except, "What's your last name?" for both of us and repeated the same routine as before. No eye contact, no smile, nothing. I came out later on to see if they had a list of restaurants in the area. Her response was a simple, "NO!" I asked her for the name of a couple of pizza places and she mumbled a couple of names and I gave up and searched on my phone. From a previous review it seems that this Best Western could do with a little PR training on basic manners.

Very bad fella at desk eve on 3/4/21 would not honor our $25 coupon from be. He actually pushed my husbands cards back to him snd said he did not want to wait on him. Then we said forget the coupon. We have been staying in bw since before Christmas when we left Pa. My husband asked for a water and he said we give points not water No hot water in bathroom room Fort Myers fl and this one have been our only bad ones. The beds were comfy. No washer and dryer. He was mean to the man in front of us too

We wanted to be close to the sites in and around Charleston. This location was perfect and at a good price. You can get some really good food too. There are so many restaurants near by. WE will defiantly be returning.

This property requires a cash deposit for incidentals, the beginning of the problem. All deposits should be through digital transactions to avoid shady ordeals. Upon checking out, the night auditor refused to inspect the room and would not return my deposit. He claimed that housekeeping was the only one capable of doing this 2-minute job- as if it required a licensed contractor or a work permit. Housekeeping does not come in until 9:00 am, my travel plans started at 4. This irrational night auditor claimed that no one has every checked-out prior to 9. I wasnt born yesterday, this is a complete scam designed to create an inconvenience to coerce a forfeiture. Or maybe you become so outraged that you cause damage equal to or greater than the deposit. Don't waste your time here if you can avoid it. I have no idea why they are wasting money renovating this location when its their customer service that needs to be repaired.

Always satisfied and impressed with this Best Western. Location is awesome. We will definitely continue to stay at this Best Western when returning to Charleston. The staff, room and amenities were excellent

This hotel offers comfortable rooms close to town. Rooms in Charleston are very expensive and this was the best price / quality value we found. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is good. Good for families and large parties.

Our shower was broken and would only produce scalding hot water. We notified the front desk that afternoon, but unfortunately when we returned from dinner the shower had not been repaired. We asked for another room, but one could not be provided. We were offered a $50 credit since there was no management to authorize a full credit. We called to speak with the hotel manager this week. She was argumentative and promptly hung up on my husband after she told him that the water wasn't that hot and we could have left the hotel at any time. I contacted corporate about our experience, but I would not recommend staying at this location.

This hotel is does not have employees wearing masks. It is filthy and dark inside. No lighting in the lobby area. The manager in duty and front desk staff is rude. No southern hospitality found here. I would not feel safe staying at this fleabag hotel.

The location, value, and cleanliness were great. I am an older woman who was traveling solo and felt very safe. The wifi was great and I really like the grab and go breakfast: water bottle, fresh fruit and muffin. The coffee/tea station was open all day.

3rd time staying here this year, we stay for the location it is convenient to downtown Charleston only minutes away. It is budget friendly for family, some good places to eat near by. Rooms are basic rooms, staff has always been friendly, specially the cleaning staff.

This was a long weekend get away trip for us to visit Charleston and the surrounding area. We're Diamond Rewards members with BW and have enjoyed many other BW locations over the years. We were happy about the location and the exterior of this location, check-in was kinda normal for these times we are living in, and we went to our room. It was clean and seemed fine so we unpacked and then went out for dinner. Upon arrival back to the room it smelled like a skunk had visited, I went to the front desk asked for and received some air fresher and it did help a lot but I did spray the bottom of the AC, carpet and other areas. The next day, before leaving to go site seeing, I went to the breakfast area to get some coffee for my wife and some OJ for myself and no OJ to be had and the coffee the wife said it was awful. We didn't return until late in the evening where I discovered a well used cleaning sponge laying on top of my tooth brush beside the bathroom sink I'm just glad I had another one on hand. The next morning we were ready to check out, went to the front desk to see no one was there, waited a few minutes and while waiting they had 2 clear boxes marked "room keys".... I rang the bell and after another few minutes a young lady came out and stated for us to place our room keys in the box and a receipt would be emailed to us.... at the time I'm writing this review it's been 6 days and no receipt. To say the least I was disappointed in this BW property.

Room 300 had a broken lock. Keys issued did not work, Room could not be opened upon arrival, Front desk check-in clerk after vetting my ID and authorized CC payment, was rude and resistant to moving us to another room before we unpacked . We were tired from a long drive and eager to bathe and shower before dinner. Absolutely refused to send us to another hotel when after the room door could be opened with either key from the outside, it would not close or lock from the inside. Ended up going back to the front desk 3 times before we could occupy room 300. Called a different hotel for local dinner suggestions. Room 300 was clean with a comfortable bed and bathroom. However TV did not work even after several calls to the front desk before retiring for the night. Missed NFL Monday Night Football which really irritated me. Checked out early and upon departure alerted Front Desk Manager I would be notifying General Manager Tiffany Bell of these an acceptable issues .Also recommend lock on room 300 it be checked for EZ opening from the inside before re-renting. Have no idea whether it was unoccupied for 24 hours before our arrival.

Liked · Room was clean, hotels halls, elevator & rooms had a freshly cleaned smell. Location is excellent for traveling over to historic Charleston or a day at the beach at the Isle of Palms. Disliked · When we arrived, there was a very rude woman at the front desk. We arrived right around 4:00 pm to check in. She informed us our reservation had been cancelled because they tried to charge our room to the credit card before we arrived. She said I couldn't just do a walk in check in & that I needed to go outside & rebook on Booking.com, even though the rates were then higher. That to me was a bait & switch so they could charge us more. Very disappointed. Who can't do a walk in check in, especially after you cancelled my reservation?!? I had all the confirmation paperwork with me. We should have just left & gone to another hotel because at that point, the rates had gone up & we had to pay more than we budgeted. We had also requested a room on a higher floor, away from children & noise, because we were there for Anniversary/birthday trip. They stuck us next to a room with 4 screaming, jumping, yelling, running screaming in the halls, toddlers. When we went to the desk to complain of the noise around 9:15 pm, the shift manager didn't seem to care & wouldn't move us to another room. At 6:15 am the following morning, the screaming, running, banging on doors children started again. Breakfast was bagged “grab & go” due to COVID. The pool was absolutely filthy with leaves & junk in the bottom. We will never book at this hotel again & it WAS our absolute favorite until this trip.

Upon Arrivl not so friendly greeting Got into room floor was damp and dirty, commode lid would not stay up due to shelf that had been installed over the commode, no hat water for three days had to take cold or semi cold showers, shower curtain moldy at the bottom, Commode kept running day and noght

Couldn't turn on shower myself I had to ask for help from my daughter it was difficult for her also. Front desk just said pull harder. They knew it was broken. Dirty old tissues found in bed. So gross. Found them on my way out. Funky looking tin foil over outlet taped on. Door to the outside near pool never closed very insecure building. Great location, not so great Best Western.

Poorly kept facility staffed with rum employees. Seemed more the the Jersey Shore than Charleston SC. Really crappy bag breakfast substituted for real food. Original plan was to stay 2 nights but left after 1.

A 2 night stay for medical procedure, hotel was clean and staff social distanced. Minimal services available due to the virus. Breakfast was Grab n Go, fruit, muffin, bottle of water. Great location within walking distance to shopping center. I will return again when back in Charleston.

My mother and I stayed at your hotel 3/10-3/13/2020. The hotel was very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed complimentary breakfast every morning. This is a 100% smoke free hotel, however a previous guest had smoked in what was our room. I went to the front desk and explained I would need a different room because my mother was on oxygen. Without hesitation they gave us another room and apologized. Not fault of their's. It was greatly appreciated and we really enjoyed our stay while visiting Charleston, SC

Me & my sister booked same day, in the same house, at the same time (exact same room accommodations). Both needed to cancel (traveling together) due to traveling w/ an immune compromised child. She was able to cancel w/out question. I call to cancel & they are charging me cancelation fees-which it is what it is (could have some understating, compassion, & courtesy-as I was told it is at the discretion of the individual hotel on what fee they charge vs wave, but I get “policies”), when asked why one reservation had fees and one didn't (b/c I don't work in this industry, didn't have a clue), customer service at desk treated me like I was an idiot. We travel multiple times a year, never will we use Best Western again! A little common courtesy & understanding is all it would have taken to keep a customer.

Overall, the hotel and room were very clean and nice. The breakfast was passable, with enough variety to not eat the same thing every morning, and nice extended hours so you didn't have to rush out of bed to make it. The service was very accommodating and friendly. Great location close to downtown with several restaurants and a grocery store in walking distance. The only issue we had was with the beds, which were soft, extremely bouncy and squeaky, which was hard for us since we are used to firm memory foam mattresses.

First off if I could I would rate this location at least negative 5 stars. We booked a reservation for 2 nights and had to cancel 8 days prior to our check-in due to a family emergency. I fully understand their cancellation policy is to charge 1 night plus any taxes and fees for cancelling within 30 days of arrival. I contacted the hotel and Best Western customer service to request having this fee applied as a deposit on a later booking date and they absolutely refused to allow it. Obviously they're fine with just outright taking people's money. Bottom line: DO NOT STAY AT BEST WESTERN PATRIOTS POINT.

My wife and I came with our 2 year old and Friends on 2/8/2020 for the first time to Charleston and had a beautiful day in town only for it to be ruined by our night of hell in the Best Western Patriots Point Mt Pleasant South Carolina. Our kid was already asleep in his playpen and we had already gotten settled in bed, when all of a sudden my wife feels something biting her on her cheek on her face. When she turned on the light, the horror she found was of a bedbug on her pillow! So we got up and off the bed. When we started moving the sheets around, we found an infestation of bedbugs all over!! All sizes! From mature adults to young juveniles! They were absolutely everywhere! We were horrified! I went to the front desk to report our midnight horror only to be sent to a room which was already in use. So we went back to the front desk and were told that they had no more rooms available. We had no choice but to wake our son up and intrude the room of our Friends who were already asleep. We had to pack all of our things and transfer them to their room potentially exposing everyone to taking home bedbugs. It was a sleepless night. Not to mention that they had reported to us that the “clean” towels in their room had several pubic hairs on them and the toilet was backed up. The next morning I spoke to the Most unprofessional and dismissiveness ever front desk manager Tammy, requesting to speak to the General manager Tiffany Bell but she said the General manager was too busy to talk to me. I explained our ordeal but she refused to refund me for my Whole reservation. I called corporate and spoke to several customer service representative in different rankings but they all refused to refund me for my Full reservation and stated that they don't have any say after hotel make they final decision. They obviously didn't care no matter how many people I reported this incident to. They had absolutely no regard to my experience as a guest or the extra money and lengths I had to spend and do to try to avoid taking bedbugs home plus loosing my toddler playpen since I found bed bugs crawling all over. So PLEASE PLEASE save yourself a misery and don't come here! They clearly DON'T CARE about their Guest experience. Worst Hotel ever!!!!

I stayed here 1 night with a friend before going on a cruise. Happy with the location, and comfort of the beds. Check in was fast and the employees were nice. Good location close to several places to eat.

This is a ok Best Western. Have been to a lot bigger and more modern. Didn't even have small Referigator in room. Service and Breakfast average at best. Only thing positive, it seamed pretty safe. Would not recommend, lots better for same price.

The first room we had smelled horribly of mold. We changed rooms. Second room still smelled but not as bad. Third room didnt smell. Room looked outdated. Things were not clean such as the lobby and eating area.

We stayed here overnight before we boarded a cruise ship. Clean and comfortable rooms. Central location close to restaurants and stores. A short distance from the Charleston port. We will use this hotel in the future.

This was a great stay. The location is conveniently near attractions, shopping and the downtown district. The hotel was clean and staff, especially Tasha was very helpful. Breakfast offerings were also a bonus.

This hotel is close to Patriots Point, not too far from restaurants, just across the bridge from Charleston. Rooms are small but adequate, breakfast o.k. They have an elevator, parking is free. We ate at the Long Island Cafe, delicious, fresh seafood. It is a very busy place and on the pricier side. Lunch was at the Long Point Grill in Mount Pleasant, inexpensive and everything was excellent.

Very nice reception and rooms quite adequate you are a bit a distance from restaurants but with car it's about 1.5 miles away Three floors with elevator l Breakfast was good but if hotel is full the room is small

This is a very nice facility; well kept grounds, clean and pleasant lobby, very nice rooms. Pillows could be better but that's a personal preference. Good free breakfast. Staff is not the friendliest but they get the job done.

This Best Western was very convenient to stay overnight before our Carnival Cruise. One of our friends left their car at the hotel and was not charged. The breakfast was excellent and the price was reasonable. We felt like we had a good value for our money.

Great location, very convenient if you want to visit Charleston and don't want to spend a lot of money in hotels. Pleasant and helpful staff. Good breakfast options. For the price it's a decent hotel, it needs an update though.

Great hotel close to cruise port. Check in was very easy, also check out was fast. Rooms were nice size and clean . Would recommend anyone to stay here if you looking to be close to the cruise port in SC.

What a fabulous little place to stay! Location was great - only a short drive to Shem Creek with plenty of bars and restaurants. Nearby Andolino's Pizza was a hit!! But the highlight of our month long road trip around the Deep South was the wonderfully charming lady who served us breakfast every morning. I wish we knew her name. She was absolutely fabulous and her hospitality made our whole trip!! Please pass on our best wishes to her.

We booked 3 rooms this place has a great location convenient to everything in Mt. Pleasant and to downtown Charleston. Place has clean rooms and an awesome staff. The staff spoke to us every time we walked in or out the hotel. The recognized each member of our group and would ask about others.

Everything was very nice. Quick yet efficient Check in. Comfortable room and bed. Large bathroom, except the tub had a dirt ring around it. Breakfast was very good. Breakfast area very crowded. Maybe a few less tables to be able to move around easier.

Pleasure trip for Christmas. Beach, shopping and site seeing. Staff very friendly and room was clean. Convenient location for everything I wanted to do this trip. A good, safe place for single traveler.

We were going to stay here but left after we went into our room. The clerk was nice and polite. She was going to give us another room. However, the smell and the filthy carpet throughout the place made us want to get out! I felt bad because it wasn't the nice lady's (at the front desk) fault. I swear that the hallway and the room that we were going to occupy had not been vacuumed in days or weeks. The doors in the rooms were all scuffed up and the place needs TLC. Luckily Best Western Rewards was able to work with me and give me some points. We ended staying at the Sleep Inn which is just a few blocks away (much better!). I can't believe that this place is a Best Western as they are usually extremely clean and you don't have to worry about poor quality.

This is my go-to hotel when I head to Charleston or the beaches. It's clean and well laid out, but basic. Strong showers. Staff has always been super friendly. No breakfast, but you are in Charleston--why would you want a hotel breakfast? I have stayed here multiple times, and have recently learned that friends and acquaintances do as well. Located just across the bridge from Charleston and down the road from Shem's Creek, Sullivan's Island, and Isle of Palms. About a 25 minute drive to Folly. If you would rather spend your money on food, shopping, and experiences as opposed to where you are going to sleep for the night, this is the right place.

Really enjoyed the stay, good clean rooms and very friendly staff. Only thing is that we wish that they had a hot tub because of all of the traveling and it would be great to just be able to relax. The location of the motel is great.

Handicap room was perfect for wheelchair, but the toilet squealed so loud when flushed that it woke everyone up when someone got up to use the bathroom. Also, although a perfect sized TV for a regular room, it was so far away from the beds that my mother, who is elderly, could not see clearly. Otherwise it was a nice stay.

Everything fully met and exceeded our expectations. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was great. We did not explore area for much - went there after visiting with family and sole desire was a good nights sleep - and we had that. Absolutely no problem, except that shower/bath tub required many turns to change temperature and turn off water. I forgot to tell management/staff about that. Minor concerns will come up no matter where you are - life is NOT perfect - only God is perfect - and minor concerns will come up. Go with the flow and enjoy life!

Don't go to this hotel. Rude staff who can't handle tourists. When applying for a late checkout as a benefit of BW Rewards Program, a freak who claims to be a front desk manager shouted and said I was attacking her and started threatened to call the police. Stay away from this hospice !

room was clean and neat, temperature perfect. quiet. Bed was neat and sheets clean. pillow nice. everything was where it should be. I liked the floor...no carpets ! the elevator was pretty slow and the hallway had an off-odor i suspect is the carpet...that musty/moldy smell. Aside from that place was perfect for my purpose. Staff extremely friendly and kind.

Rugs smell of mold and this hotel needs a serious updating. I would not stay here again and there are plenty of other choices in this area. Staff is friendly enough, but there is a reason this is the cheapest of all the other hotels around.

So the ladies at the front were very pleasant and check in was very easy. The breakfast was hot and varied. The location was great as well. The bad part.. the carpets in the room were beyond stained the bathrooms had hair and crud in the corners and black around the tub...we found the pros outweighed cons and gave it a 4 out of 5

On arrival Linda greeted with friendly smile that made check-in quick & smooth. My reservation was made through booking.com for a king bed & M/F. What I got was a SMALL queen & NO M/F. Next morning was moved to large queen beds & M/F, much better accommodations. Room #216. Furnishings were the two comfortable queen beds with four pillows each. Writing desk with lamp & swivel chair. Hard wood flooring- sleeping & bathroom-that allowed chair to roll easily. A cabinet for the M.F, two drawer chest, topped with a large flat screen. Under room's window-facing the parking lot- was a large cushion wall to wall, that was used as a large luggage rack. NO blackout curtain of any color or type, just a white see-through curtain, however being on the second floor, no problem with other guests looking my way.Single night stand between beds. A closed closet with iron/board, with eight wooden hangers & two metal folding luggage racks. Bathroom. A shower/tub. Hot water for shower in five seconds.Bottles of shampoo, lotion & conditioner. Shower cap. Plenty of towels. Room is good size while there is limited counter space. Tub's floor has a permanent fixed non-skid surface. Toilet has good strong flush with tank refilling in short time. BATHROOM tip-before turning on shower, turn the exhaust fan first, this should keep the mirror from steaming up. Overall both bathroom & sleeping area very clean. Breakfast. Hours are 6:00-10:00. Steamers for scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, & sausage patties. Two waffle makers. For pasties, different types of jelly rolls, bread, bagels, large chocolate chip & two other unknown muffins. Three cereals. Orange & apple juices. Regular & decaf coffees. Large heavy wire bowl with oranges & apples. Large cooler for milk-skim & whole-yogurt & cream cheese. Seating is twelve tables with two or four chairs. One long counted with ten high stools & several electrical outlets. Large flat screen for morning news. This facility is three floors with one elevator. Plenty of parking, yet some areas can be tight. I learned that backing-if possible- into a a space will give better visibly to pull out. Soda, snack I ice machines on second floor by room #224. There is an outdoor pool, however no fitness center or guest laundry. Keith-front desk-suggested the Sea Island Suds, 1220 Ben Sawyer Blvd, Mt. Pleasant. Not a 24 hour facility, open 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Not a coin facility, must use a plastic card to put time on. The attendant is done by 5:00. Would stay again in the future. Factors-location-only a 6-7 minute drive to Patriot's Point, Sticky Fingers Restaurant-10-122 minute walk, price & the facility's staff. We only stayed one night in this facility. Apparently we were the only ones not going on a cruise the next day. The staff were pleasant on our arrival. Our room was nicely equipped with mini fridge, microwave, tv and two queen beds,however, the shower head was spraying on the ceiling. The staff on exit, didn't seem to care, that the ceiling was getting water damage and possibly mold. Breakfast was crowded, but sufficient fare. Facility could use a little updating.

Best Western Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant is a great place to stay that is in the middle of everything, but still quiet and out of the way. The location makes it easy to get to from just about everywhere in the Charleston area. This is a good place for business purposes as there are plenty of spaces to have meetings or find a place to get some work done. The staff here is very responsive and on top of everything and makes sure that you have everything that you need to have the best stay. I have been impressed every time that I have visited here and it is good to have a place that is this consistent for such a good value.

The hotel was nice. The room was clean but had a musty smell, which we figured was the carpet. It could use a deep cleaning or just replaced. The room was a great size and was very comfortable. The bathroom was big and very clean. We had problems getting the shower to work but Roslyn was able to show us how to get it to work. Roslyn was the most sweetest person and because of her, we are giving a higher rating for the hotel. I hope when we stay again we get to see/speak with her again.

We booked here because it was close to the carnival cruise port. Just over the bridge from down town Charleston. There beds were very comfortable. They have free complementary breakfast. Checking out was easy. We would stay here again.

The price is very good for this very average hotel, however I would not stay here again. I travel to Mount Pleasant often for work and will stay elsewhere. Cockroaches in rooms, bad smells to rugs, needs serious updating. Sleep and comfort were ok.

we are heading to Edisto Beach, and decided to stop over on Charleston. We got a room on line at Best Western. Very affordable rate with free breakfast . The building is alittle worn, but clean. The room was nice, and the bed sheets clean. I dont remember her name,but the lady that checked us in last evening did a super job.and was very pleasant. I had a cold shower this morning BUT let me say, hubby did a better job figuring out which way to turn the faucet, and he had a good,hot shower!!!! The breakfast was great with a large variety of foods. The need was very comfortable, and the thermostat worked great.

Quite a nice area, on a quiet road but with lots of shops and a cinema close by. I walked from the hotel into Charleston, it's a fair way but nice to walk over the bridge. Desk staff weren't overly friendly but cleaning and breakfast staff always pleasant. Room was a bit dark and dated and the carpet definitely needed replacing or at least a good shampooing. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was basic but always well stocked. As well as Charleston it's a short journey to places like Sullivan's Island from this location. Car park was quite busy and if you returned late it was tough to find a space.

Worse place EVER! The hallway smelled of mold. If I could give them a lower star rating I would. Showed up on Saturday the pool OMG had leaves in it (left 6 days later and more leaves in the pool), Took a shower COLD went to the front desk first thing out of her mouth was we are booked let me see what I can do lol She helped the "H" is not for hot water and the "c" is not for cold I made that mistake "H" does not mean Hot Water My bad. DO NOT STAY HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had the unfortunate experience of staying here we had booked for four nights but checked out after one the hotel is unclean damp and very smelly it's the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in the breakfast was inedible one to be avoided

Great place to stay so close to everything and a good price .Easy to find just off I526 Check -in easy fast and friendly staff .Excellent breakfast great choice hot and cold . Once again super easy check out with great staff again.

The location of this hotel is perfect, as it's close to the Yorktown and a quick drive (or Uber) across Ravenel Bridge to the historic district. Not to far of a drive from Boone Hall and Shem Creek. Have stayed here before and was overall satisfied with this stay as well. The good: beds were comfortable and pillows were plenty. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast with fruit, cereal/oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, eggs, biscuits & gravy and yogurt bar. Staff did a good job keeping it stocked. Staff attentive to any requests we had regarding the room. Plenty of restaurants and stores in the area. Microwave and refrigerator in room. Fresh baked cookies in the p.m. (so good, they run out quickly!) Only a couple of issues: Double queen room we had still had carpeting (saw other rooms with no carpeting) and, as others have commented, there was a moldy smell. Hotel obviously aware as there are humidifiers in room. I picked up some air freshener which helped, but could be concerning if you have allergies. Shower water pressure good, but often struggled to keep a nice hot temperature. No USB charging ports for phones, which could be solved by alarm clocks or lamps with those built in. Wi-Fi was a bit spotty. Overall, a truly pleasant, comfortable and affordable stay.

Not worth the stay the clerk on check in seemed very disinterested the room smelled of mold the room phone did not work and the night clerk could not fix the phone and did not replace it. Had to wait 5 minutes at desk to check out. Overall there was no southern hospitality at all

Clean rooms, very friendly staff at Check-In and lots of parking spots. Good location, it's easy to get to Charleston by car. I can definitely recommend this hotel and I will book it again if I have to go back to this area.

Location in Mt. Pleasant is just over the bridge, and Mt. Pleasant is great itself. Hotel is very nice, well maintained, and the staff goes out of its way to help you. If I get the chance to visit Charleston again, this is where I will stay.

The room & my stay was just as expected. I was comfortable & breakfast was good. My car was safe while I cruised. I was grateful. No complaints. The room was clean, water hot, everything in the room worked. I could have had a refrigerator, but it wasn't a major issue. I didn't request it & it wasn't a big deal. The shuttle service to the port was on time & courteous. I was called when I came back & picked up promptly. This was my second stay & it was just as good as the first.

My family has stayed at this hotel several times the past few years. Close to everything....especially The Citadel! Great rate...great breakfast...great service...clean rooms. Would highly recommend. We have never had a problem.

Rude unhelpful front desk service. Falsely advertised that they have airport shuttle services. After booking room and arriving at hotel, I was told they offer service through a 3rd party for 35.00. That's outrageous, then charged me a fee for not staying there totally unacceptable!!! IM going to dispute that charge with my bank. I will never book there again.

Very nice hotel, clean, nicely appointed rooms and great staff. Jarred at the front desk was pleasant and always said “hello” to us as we came and went during our stay. Breakfast was great, nice selection and good and hot.

This hotel is top located to the Patriots Point. It takes only 2 minutes to drive to USS Yorktown. The distance into the historic center of Charleston ist also quickly done. Just over the bridge 10 minutes to go. The breakfast area was too small.Too many people in this room are making the athmosphere uncomfortable. The pool was not really clean and the rooms very dark. The staff was o.k. For that what you get is the price to high

I received a warm and friendly greeting upon arrival to the hotel reception desk. I was given a complimentary bag with two bottles of water and a bag of sun chips. You can never be too careful so regardless of where my overnight stay is booked I always inspect the bedding with a UV flashlight. The sheets, pillow cases, towels and all appeared to very clean. The bed was comfortable and I had a good night's rest.... I'll be back soon...

Best Western patriots point I have bn staying here for years anytime I'm in Charleston it is always a pleasure. The staff is always professional helpful and courteous. I enjoy seeing the same staff members there year after year.

The parking situation is horrendous, it was overflowing and clearly not nearly enough. There were long black hairs on the bathroom floor, and if I had stayed more than one night, I would've reported it but I did not. The staff was generally poor in appearance and behavior, Loudly talking to one another and carousing.

Looks nice on the outside. The room, looks nice at first. The sink in the bathroom, the faucet is too close to the back of the sink, so you splash water everywhere! Shower's Temperature would NOT adjust and was hot, not much pressure. The pillows were very uncomfortable, old and lumpy. I could hear every step the person took in the room above me. Pool not clean. The pro is is it is close to the historic district downtown. Free parking. Most of the staff is friendly.

I stayed in this hotel for a meeting I had at the cruise port. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. No parking fees and they don't put a "hold" on your card they just have you slide it for incidentals, which I love. Nothing is worse than getting to a hotel and them putting a crazy hold on your card and dipping into your trip funds. They are very close to the cruise port and do offer park and sail if you are cruising and need to leave your car.

Stayed overnight before boarding a cruise. Staff was very nice. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious!!! Will definitely stay again when we are back in Charleston. Thank you for a great stay!!!

This location is handy to get to the beach or downtown Charleston but while this hotel has had some upgrades, it is still lacking in other areas. The room we stayed in smelled very damp and they even had portable dehumidifiers in most of the rooms (they told me this). Housekeeping did not make up either of our rooms and there were dirty walls in several places. We probably would not choose this hotel again.

Love this hotel. The staff from check-in to check-out, breakfast was great, breakfast staff was exceptional, maids who serviced our room were friendly, helpful, serviced as we requested....will definitely stay here again. Great location.

Stayed for one night and it was a pleasant experience.Tasha and Tammy, were very pleasant, accomodating, and helpful making my reservation and during my stay. The room was clean and to up to date. The workers there seem to work very hard to make sure things are up to par.

The stay was nice. The rooms had hardwood throughout. Our room had the view of the satellite dish, but otherwise it was nice. It was surprisingly quiet. We could not hear the hallway or other rooms. The staff was cheerful and helpful. The young lady for breakfast, worked hard and was super nice. The food was hot and tasty.

The smell of mildew and moisture in the lobby and rooms is terrible! If you have asthma, allergies or breathing issues- do not stay here. The room was also not very clean. We found hair on the bathroom floor, tub etc. I'm not sure when the room had been last dusted. Thankfully we had only booked one night. We left a few hours earlier than intended in the morning as we started to cough and have sore throats from the poor air quality. We stayed the night before a cruise and although the location was great, there are a lot of hotels in the same area and next time we will book elsewhere. Very disappointed as the room was not inexpensive.

Would not stay here again. The exterior appearance and lobby is appealing but the rooms are old and musky smelling. The AC wasn't very cold. The Holiday Inn Express across the road is worth the extra few dollars.

This was our one and only family vacation stay in the Charleston area. Just one night. From the moment we pulled up and stepped inside, it felt like we made a great choice that was above average for the price. The place is clean. Looked relatively new and was already getting new painting. Our room was great. Very comfortable. NIce outdoor pool too. Only disappointment was the breakfast. They ran out of sausage fast and did not replace anything but eggs (in the 20 minutes we spent eating). There was enough other food to select that it didn't matter too much to us. This location works well for visiting Charleston, even though it is a bit confusing to find. But that is what GPS is for, right? Great property to stay at and one of the best hotel values we found for our trip.

You can't beat the value and friendliness of this location! We have made multiple visits to this hotel over the past few years and enjoyed our stay again this time before leaving on a cruise from the Charleston Port. Close to everything in Mt Pleasant and Charleston!

-room smelled awful, like mildew -door either wouldn't close or jammed -wifi didn't work -room phone didn't work -paper thin walls w/ loud guests, front desk did nothing -loud, drunk people in the pool late @ night, front desk did nothing -No guest laundry facility as stated online -Final night discovered bugs on the shower curtain that bit both myself & fiance -VERY rude front desk clerk -interrupted w/ the do not disturb sign on my door stating that check out time had passed when I wasn't checking out that day -Front desk clerk was again very rude & unprofessional when it was the staff's lack of communication that caused confusion -Corporate did absolutely nothing, but fwd my information to the hotel There are much nicer places to stay within the same price range & location! Will never stay here again!

We stayed there 2 nights while in area visiting Charleston. It's maybe 10 minute car ride to historic area. Convenient location off RT17. Room was large and clean, staff was friendly and helpful Only negative was breakfast- It was very unorganized, they had one lady working area and they were out of almost everything and many people waiting on refills. Both mornings it was an issue. Food was typical once it was refilled. Overall. it was a very good hotel and we would stay there again, price was decent

The hotel is okay but definitely needs updating. We couldn't get the cord to fhe phone in our room plugged in. I reported to the front desk. Someone came the next day and plugged it in but the phone still had.no dial tone!?! Breakfast the first morning was ridiculous. We went down at 9 and most items were empty. The area was packed and the lady doing the food seemed confused and just couldn't keep things full. That is disappointing. A gentleman was working breakfast the second morning and there were no issues. The handle to flush the toilet was almost under the counter and difficult to reach. The shower temperature control was loose and hard to control. The beds were comfortable and the place was reasonably quiet. However, for the price, I expected better.

We stayed at this Best Western the night before our cruise. Booked 2 rooms. We arrived before check in time and both rooms were ready However one room had an issue with the air conditioner. Resolution, the maintenance installed a entire new a/c unit before we actually needed the room for the evening The hotel is close to restaurants, a shopping center within 2 miles and other attractions where nearby. Beds were comfortable. Staff very friendly. The only negative I have is the layout of the breakfast area needs to be reconfigured for a better flow. The breakfast area is small but was well stocked. We would stay again.

Stayed here twice before, go for quick overnight. Good: located just off bridge to Mt. Pleasant, close to Rtes. 17 and 26, close to all of Mt Pleasant, VERY close to picturesque Shem Creek. BUT: lobby does not look like usual lobby, has uninviting, open-area reception area, no usual chairs, sofa quickly visible. So, WOW...asked other guests who were sitting in little alcove with sofa, if we were in proper checkin spot, they said, "YES," immediately followed by quite irate reception person who had been behind translucent glass, " I heard everything you were saying," etc, etc. many other lower priced places have 2 checkin persons. Also, with reservation of one queen bed on Expedia, we were put into tiny box of a room on first floor. For our previous visits, we must have booked 2-bed rooms, since they were more regular-sized rooms. Also, maid yesterday opened our room with her maid's key, no knock - I had just gotten out of the shower. Also, smelled of possible mildew in hall; there was a mini-dehumifier in room...Same woman was working the reception desk this morning. Looked, hoping to talk to different desk person. The breakfast area was decent sized but crowded. The breakfast lady seemed to be working very hard; she was very pleasant. Cleaning lady was very pleasant. I used to write reviews frequently and we travel frequently. Only a couple of times treated so poorly by a reception person. Buyer beware.

I made a huge error on my booking date. I paid for the day before I was actually going to stay. Being in vacation mode-I made an honest mistake when I booked-I explained the situation to the manager and she gave me a credit for the night I didn't stay. The staff was awesome at the front desk when I arrived and realized my mistake. I was able to still get a room for that very night I needed. Room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was very well stocked and a lot of choices-something for everyone. Thank you to all the Best Western staff in Mt Pleasant, SC.

Upon check-in, Linda was extra helpful in redeeming a gift card we presented. She also gave us a great restaurant tip to eat at Melvin's BBQ. When we got to our room, the floor was sticky. When I asked Linda about that, she did not hesitate in moving us to another room. She even went with me to check out the new room to make sure it was satisfactory. She was really wonderful!

The very first thing when a I arrive to check in they told me my reservation was cancle. Lucky they were able to get me into a room with in an hour. The second thing was the room it smell very bad and the aircondition cover was on the floor. I ask for another room which they gave us. It was a little better did not smell as bad. The breakfets area was to small the only had one waffle mechine for everyone which ment for a long wait.

I would say that you get what you pay for but that was not the case, at almost $200 per night. I expected better. I checked in at 3pm checkin time and rooms were still not ready. There was lack of organization, staff seemed unhappy and disgruntled.

Best Western Patriots Point is located only a short Uber ride from the Charleston Historic Downtown, which saves you both time and money, if you compare it to parking costs and hotel prices in the downtown area. There are a couple of nice eateries close to the hotel for example Sticky Fingers and besides that, there is also a Whole Foods grocery store within walking distance. The standard of the breakfast was typical of BW, good or bad, I guess it is up to each and everyone to decide for themselves, but it is very basic and the breakfast was overcrowded.

Had issues upon arrival BUT, Ms Bell(GM),site manager and staff quickly corrected the problem...Ms Wanda (executive assistant) did an awesome job personally Inspecting our room....Thank you for making our stay enjoyable. .

Our original room door would not open so I went to the desk and asked for a different room. We checked into that room and the room was dirty- hair in the bathroom in various areas. The room also reeked of mildew and the beds needed replacing. The hallways also smelled of mildew and while we were leaving we did see an exterminator on our floor as she was leaving. The hotel also has a no smoking policy posted at the front desk. Well our floor and the the parking lot smelled like a Grateful Dead concert. We stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and the only thing new was the lobby and the breakfast area. I would suggest travelers check the surrounding hotels before checking in to this hotel.

Great hotel, great people and overall best break fast. the rooms are very neat with all the qualities I was expecting. internet service, refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, nice television, good lightening, coffee maker, good looking lockers, modern bath top, etc.

Pulled the covers back and looked like flakes from a Croissant on the sheets. Wonder what else was on the sheets? Nasty! Wont be staying there again! Hotel did seem clean and I n God condition overall.

Stayed here for six nights in June. Nicely positioned for touring. Extremely large room and bathroom. Lovely window seat and windows that could be opened - great! Good breakfasts and a lovely pool, very friendly staff. Our room, due to its size, low hanging bar in the wardrobe and many many rails in the exceptionally large bathroom pointed to it being for someone disabled (not needed by us). It was also bang opposite the lift (handy for a disabled person) so we had a fair bit of noise outside the door. Finally we had a connecting door that also gave us plenty of noise. We would definitely stay here again but would not want a disabled room ever again!!

We chose this Best Western as the city centre hotels were very expensive and we were staying for five days.. In retrospect is was a good choice. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. We had a large room with a sofa, microwave, fridge, and two flatscreen tvs. One at the foot of the bed the other in the sofa area. The breakfast had all the usual hot and cold servings. There were lots of pamphlets available for planning your sightseeing. There is a pool, and ample parking. The entrance to the bridge into Charleston is at the bottom of the road so it was an easy transfer into the city. Within walking distance (10-15 mins) there is a selection of restaurants and it seemed safe to walk. A short drive will take you to a larger selection. There is a Walgreens nearby and several other shopping areas around. The naval museum with the Yorktown is approx. 5 mins driving from the hotel. We would book this again if we went back to Charleston

The service is always great!, clean hotel, great location and close to everything, nice breakfast. Love the warm cookies in the evening. Jared at the front desk is very helpful and quality customer service.

Clean room, good breakfast, great location, very helpful staff, free parking. A very positive experience. Just 5 -10 minutes from downtown Charleston. A better value than most downtown hotels. Will stay here again.

We were here for 2 nights. The bed in the first room we had was very squeaky and Jarred moved us to a new room immediately. The rooms are on the smaller side, but still very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and the sink was in the bathroom. There were 2 luggage racks, a microwave, coffeemaker and fridge. Lots of TV channels. The beds were very comfortable and each bed had 4 pillows. There is an elevator. On the 2nd day, Tammy at the front desk helped us get a shuttle ride into Charleston so we wouldn't have to drive. She was great! There aren't any restaurants within walking distance, but there are several not very far away. The location is fantastic if you want to go to Patriots Point Military Museum and close enough to Charleston, that it is easy to get there without having to drive or pay a fortune for a shuttle. The only problem we had was the internet. It was difficult to get on their system and the front desk had to help both days we were there. Breakfast was also great - lots of options including scrambled eggs with cheese & ham, sausage, waffles, cereal, breads & pastries, juice & coffee, etc. The breakfast lady kept everything clean and none of the food ever ran out.

I'm a Charleston native (that lives in Atlanta now) and I gawk at the high cost of hotels during summertime there! ....but I had to come down for my brother's wedding and we needed a place to stay the night of...so, this hotel was the best bang for its buck for sure! It was close to everything, the rooms were very clean, and the front desk staff was amazingly helpful with questions we had. Plus the breakfast in the morning! dON'T PAY 300$ to stay on the peninsula when this fairly priced hidden gem is right over the bridge. :)

We wanted somewehre to stay with easy access to Charleston's attractions and this hotel was perfectly placed. It was spotlessly clean, the room was comfortable and breakfast had something for everyone. Staff were helpful and friendly. We would stay here again if we return to Charleston.

Really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean, beds were comfy, air conditioning was cold and the bath water was hot. Close and convenient to the beach and Charleston. Pool was nice, parking was ample. Staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions and directions. Would stay again!

Very clean, friendly people at front desk, comfortable bed, just very, very small room. Easy to find with ample parking. Not great choices for eating nearby. Had to drive a ways to restaurants. Breakfast was not great. We have had a lot better food AR other best westerns.

We stayed here on our visit to Charleston. It was a comfortable stay. The location is very quite. However, you need to drive to get to some restaurants in Mount Pleasant; and to some points of interests in the area, which are many--such as the Ravenal Bridge. Parking area is likewise free and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful, and gave us some suggestions where to go and eat. Continental breakfast was also available/free; and was quite adequate for light eaters like us. The price is reasonable, compared to most hotels in downtown Charleston. The hotel is an easy drive to Charleston (where parking is a big issue). We will stay here again, when we come back to Charleston and Mount Pleasant.

The Bad: lobby and hallways dirty, room that we were given had not been cleaned, desk clerk unfriendly to the point of rudeness. The Good: second room was clean. Got a welcome snack as a Gold member. Room had microwave and refrigerator.

Staff was so nice. Check in and check out was a breeze. They do have a great breakfast, buffet, waffles, cereals, bagels, toast, muffins, pancakes, etc. The room was very clean and cozy. The bed was real comfy.. hurt our backs, but we sleep on a real firm mattress at home. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Our refrigerator was sitting on a old block of wood it looked like and was wobbly. It still worked fine. The underneath of the sinks was poorly done, but this really didn't matter to us. This place was a great place with a great location. Really good for price. We would stay there again. I'm big on clean and comfy and it was both of those things. The pool was nice.. a little dirty, but I think it was just where it hadn't been cleaned that day or something. They also put out delicious warm cookies in their lobby. They are delish. They have an awesome fish tank in the lobby too! Elevator was nice and clean.

On a road trip, and our objective was a visit to the Boone Hall Plantation, so Patriot Point meant the we didn't have to negotiate Charleston and the combined pressure of Memorial Day, and the Spoletto Festival... (though had our stay been longer, we could have accessed the city from a base here). It had the advantages of free on-site parking, and a lift to our upstairs room. Our only problem was logging on to the internet from our room at the end of the building. We had to go halfway to the lift to access the log on page... Once logged in we had full access from our room, as well as all other parts of the hotel. The front of house manager (Jarrad) was very helpful, advising us about local dining and transport options.

My husband and I stayed here when we spent the weekend exploring Charleston. The check in and checkout process was quick and the room was clean and welcoming. It was too cold for the pool to be open, but I would stay here again!

I tried to check in early via a phone call and then in person. For some reason, they didn't have up-to-date info on what rooms had been cleaned and ready (pretty inefficient and incomprehensible, to me). I was asked to come back in 30 minutes (a waste of my time), which I did and got to check into a room about an hour early, which was nice, but it could have been earlier when we arrived. This is a nice-looking property in a row of hotels in the Patriots Point area of Mt. Pleasant. We were in a fair-sized 2-queen room,with a small refrig and a microwave hidden by door in a piece of furniture. There was a closet for hanging garments. The bathroom was sizable, even with the sink inside the bathroom. One "problem" for men: there is a small shelf that extends to the end of the toilet tank (doubles the shelf space in the bathroom). For men, you will have to hold up, with your hand/fingers, the toilet top and the toilet seat when you "go." Not nice! The shower was pretty good, but the "controls" were a little tricky to navigate. Bath towels were huge and pretty soft....very nice. The breakfast room is just off the lobby and is impressively large. Lots of tables and chairs and a long "bank" of chairs at a long counter. Pretty much everything, but there were a couple of interesting items: large, fresh, navel oranges and for your waffle and/or yogurt several kinds of syrup and lots of toppings (chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, sprinkles, sliced almonds, and more). Terrific breakfast!

This hotel was excellent. It is close to Patriots Point which is where we wanted to go and only a short 15 minute drive to downtown Charleston. The room was very nice and the free breakfast was enjoyable. We would stay there again.

we choose this hotel in mount pleasant when we visit charleston - WHY? its economical, great complimentary breakfast, nice staff, nice looking hotel on outside, nicely decorated lobby and rooms. only about 10 mins from downtown charleston - lots of nice things to also do in mount pleasant. corridors could use a facelift. beds were super comfy

I suffered for 3 nights. Front desk said “ we are full” and offered no help or suggestion I went to another Best Western in Savannah for last 3 days of trip and it was perfect. I can never cone back here and I can't rely on Best Western to screen their hotels

Refrigerator did not work and were unable to replace. Shower only had hot water and no cold water. Maintenance personnel unavailable to repair so unable to take shower. At breakfast, ran out of utensils and had to ask to resupply. Also, no fresh fruit available.

It was the spur of the moment and we decided to go to Charleston. We called Best Western and secured a room at Patriot's Point Best Western. Unbelievable location half a mile from the bridge. Clean, large, modern rooms and a great staff. We had a wonderful night that allowed us to have an unbelievable day in Charleston.

Check in was a breeze. Rooms and beds were super comfortable. Great hot/cold beverage options. 24 hr hot beverages-handy for those late arrivals after and before a long drive. Easy access to everything and a nice view of Arthur Ravenel bridge with a short walk around the corner. Try sticky fingers bbq while your there! Totally worth it.

Stayed at the BW and found the property to be very acceptable. Room was spacious with a unique window seat. Bathroom was roomy although the sink was a little small, but you are not home. Check in was quick and efficient and the desk clerk answered all questions. Even though the elevator was not working at our time of arrival we were offered a first floor room (103), it was near the back door and pool but was not a problem. Breakfast was normal with eggs, biscuits and sausage along with waffles. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

Stayed there with the family for one night. Staff was friendly; hotel was clean; good location (easy access to the bridge and the peninsula); and the area was safe. The room was comfortable although the bathroom was a little small. We didn't try the breakfast as we we had plans for eating downtown the next morning.

I'm currently staying at this hotel as my wife, toddler son and I traverse back to Pittsburgh from Disney world. The check in staff were delightful. The continental breakfast was decent, nothing out of the ordinary. We were given a room on the top(3rd) floor. It was apparent as we entered the room that there has been some water damage inside. Very musty. There is also a small dehumidifier in the room which I dumped out twice in the 20 hours we've been here. I'm guessing the carpet needs replaced at this point. We weren't warned about any water damage in the room by the staff. This place could easily be amongst the top in the area if they remedy this water issue. And looking at other reviews, it appears that this is an ongoing issue. Other than that, the ac worked perfectly. Plenty of channels on the TV. Shower was hot and powerful. Overall I would rate this place a 2.5 out of 5. Would I recommend? Probably not. There are many other hotels in the area.

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst holidaying from Australia. Our room was quite spacious, with a large window seat, handy for stowing our cases up at good height. We had a comfortable stay here, the hotel and its location was nice and quiet (except for last night- when the room next door had its ultra -noisy air con going all night-don't know how they put up with it-it kept us awake!). The bed was comfortable and the shower nice and hot. The internet worked ok too. Power points were available on both sides of the bed- great as many motels only have limited charging points. We found the breakfast good and especially liked the lovely fish tank in the reception/breakfast area. The motel is in a convenient location-close to popular Patriots Point for viewing the USS Yorktown and taking the trip out to Fort Sumter, it's also easy 15 min drive into the historic area of Charlestown, and over to Sullivan's Island beaches. Close to many shops too -for a variety of food options - we found China East, just around the corner-great for some yummy no frills Chinese. Would happily stay here again and recommend to others.

Motel was very clean, well kept up, overall pleasant. Appropriate for the price, Breakfast was great with plenty of options and well stocked. Made the reservation on the way by phone with no problem. Good stay. No down side.

Super friendly staff. Nice clean rooms and near to everything. We visited the USS Yorktown, quite an experience to see how the sailors lived during the war years. Ate at the Fish House just up the road. Excellent supper

We said here one night. It was a fine place to stay for a reasonable price. Room was good, breakfast was adequate. Easy short walk or run to the bridge or Fort Sumter tour. Easy parking and short drive to Charleston.

We typically look at booking at BW where we vacation because we are treated well. Patriot's Point is no exception. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had an slight issue with our room, but the staff quickly addressed and fixed it quickly. The breakfast is standard across the nation. Gotta love the waffle maker! It is always nice to know that a hot breakfast is provided. The only issue we had that negatively impacted our stay were the mattresses in our room. They felt outdated and were very uncomfortable. We have stayed in many BW hotels, and this was a first. We actually had 2 rooms (family of 7) and the other room had nice mattresses. I feel as if the mattresses we had in our room will be upgraded real soon. We would stay there again (would request another room IF we had those same mattresses though).

The hotel was easy to locate, nicely surrounded by trees and plants. There's nothing special to say about it and I think Tripadvisor should not expect lengthy reviews. Not everything is over the top or super fantastic!!

Comfortable room, good breakfast, parking was easy & extended parking was available romm was clean, no issues. Transportation to the cruise ship was uneventful.was easy to find, staff was friendly and helpful.

I have stayed at this hotel for about two months with the company that I'm contracting with in the area. The location and price have been very reasonable. The desk staff are very attentive to the needs of their guests. I have had the occasional tv that didn't work, stained towel, etc but that is common anytime that you stay in a hotel for an extended period of time. Breakfast has a lot of variety but the quality can be a little low at times. They also have hot cookies upon check-in most days which are very popular. If you plan to stay often be sure to take advantage of the rewards plan as well. For those who like to exercise, there is a picturesque bridge nearby as well with designated areas for pedestrians. Overall this is a good value for a two star hotel.

We were greeted at the front Desk by Linda, she was awesome! Very informative and helpful. Linda made us feel at home and was very friendly and diwn to earth. My girlfriend and I was on a girl's weekend trip in the area and Linda took her time out to ask us how we were enjoying our trip and helped us with sharing her knowledge about the surrounding area and what Mt Pleasant and Charleston has to offer. She even offered us cookies, coffee and gave us a coupon for sticky fingers local restaurant. Our room was clean inviting and comfortable. I am so happy we decided to stay in the area another night and stay at this Best Western. I only wished we had stayed here the whole trip instead of isle of palms the night prior. Linda you are genuinely a caring person. We thank you for going above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one!! We will be back

Awesome waffle toppings and friendly staff. Only 30 mins max from charleston with a good price to boot. There are plenty of chain resturants around plus waterfront seafood/bars only 8 mins away. The staff will also give you discounts as well.

My son, and I stayed at the hotel January 9, 2019 and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and our room was newly renovated and very spacious with 2 double beds and a couch and window seats. The bathroom was huge with plenty of towels and nice amenities. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was quiet. In the evening they have freshly baked cookies in the lobby, and the morning breakfast was available from 6:00am -10:00am even on weekdays so there was no rush to get up early to grab a bite. The breakfast included all the regular cereals, yogurts, oatmeal, grits, fresh fruit and breads, coffees, teas, fruit juices, but also a Belgium waffle maker, scrambled eggs, link sausage, buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy. We were only staying one night, but it would be the perfect hotel for an extended stay without the cramped feeling you get in most small hotel rooms. We look forward to returning on our next visit.

I stay at Best Westerns on a regular basis. This was a very nice property and the staff was great. My wife and I were going on a cruise and the location of this property was only about 15 minutes from the cruise terminal. It's also in a location with lots of great restaurants and convenient gas, and on and off the highway. We would definitely stay there again.

Best Western at Patriots Point is a clean and comfortable hotel with friendly service. It's close to dining and historic sites. There are plenty of brochures available, a nice sized dining area and a beautiful fish aqaurium in the lobby.

The Hotel was nice, the staff was friendly. At the time we stayed they were doing some refreshing which the building was in need of. The rooms were spacious but much like other parts of the building could use some refreshing as well. All in all we had a good stay and would choose the Best Western Patriots Point again.

the property looked newly renovated except our king bed was the worst. Mattress crunched on the edge, uncomfortable. Needs replacement. Child's P.J.'s left in the dresser from previous occupant. Breakfast room large, attendant was very good at keeping everything clean and filled with food. Service desk personal very helpful.

Friendly staff and a solid breakfast but the room left a lot to be desired. Issues: 1) Squeaky and lumpy mattress. Horrible nights sleep! 2) Room did not smell fresh or clean. 3) We stayed for 4 nights and for 2 of those nights our linens were taken out of our room and we never received fresh linens. We were told they were out. 3) Maintenance walked-in our room without announcing himself. 4) The smoke detector was missing from our room the first night of our stay (just wires hanging from the ceiling). 5) Only has one, very slow elevator. We made do and had a great trip to Charleston but next time we will stay in a different hotel!!!

Was met by Brenda a check in, very polite, informative, professional, with a great personality. I asked where we should go to dinner, her suggestion was spot on. The exterior of the hotel look good, clean. Lobby was on the small Side, but the staff made up for it.

Nice place in a somewhat weird location, but it's on the river and very nice. The location is sort of out of the way, but it did have an unusual bonus. Just down the river was leftovers from the set of the movie "THE FUGITIVE" with Harrison Ford. The train / bus crash scene was filmed there and some of the equipment is still there.

This hotel is in a decent and safe location, easy to get around the area if you have a car or using Uber. The staff are friendly and professional. The free breakfast offers a good variety of hot dishes (eggs, biscuits, gravy, and sausage), yogurts, boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, etc with plenty of room in the breakfast room. The rooms are clean and modern with two televisions, one in front of bed and another in front of sofa. My only complaint is the old knotty sheets feel like sand paper and the mattress was the absolute worst I have slept on. Never accept a room by the elevator, my fault, SO loud both day and night. Overall it is a very decent hotel and price is reasonable.

Arrived at 3:00 PM and checked in. Room was clean and found nothing that was in need of repair or replacing. Person at desk was very helpful with directions to excellent restaurant. Quiet night. Gave directions to VA Hospital in Charleston, SC. Upon arriving back at hotel gave more directions on place to dine for evening meal. Left the next morning for home. All in all, this was a excellent place to stay. We'll be back!

This BW offered an attractive deal in Charleston. Downtown is well accessible from the hotel, and the USS Yorktown is near. Breakfast was appropriate, although not particularly memorable. Sleep was good.

Our stay here is always great. Looking forward to going back. This is the only place we stay. We have to go to MUSC and it a short drive from here. Everyone here makes you you feel like family. Every thing is always clean. Breakfast is always good and hot.

Cons: The first room they gave us smelled and was dirty. Took the staff almost an hour to put us in another room. Better, but still shabby. No exercise room and only a seasonal pool. Pros: Convenient to Ft. Sumter & USS Yorktown tours, Charleston, beach. Sufficient parking. Super Pro: The lady who tends the breakfast on weekends is absolutely wonderful. She truly cares for the needs of those who eat there and makes sure customers have what they want and need. But if you don't like being hugged, you'll have to tell her so because that's her specialty. She loves helping people and it shows.

I have stayed here several times before during and now after their renovation. My visit this particular time had awesome people at the front desk, so cheerful, so helpful and they truly made me feel welcome. The outside and the lobby were very well maintained. It was easy to get to my room, very quick check in. My room was quite comfortable and the building inside and out were very quiet. I went to the breakfast area and I have never seen such fresh fruit at a hotel breakfast. I am sure I will stay here again when I visit my friends. This location is close to everything and is very easy to get to when you visit the city.

We arrived for 2 nights before our cruise. Great front desk staff, courteous and helpful. Berissi and Jarred were the ones who helped us the most. The housekeeping supervisor helped me get our luggage into our room; her name is Myra, as I was struggling to get 2 large pieces of luggage across the carpets. My husband uses a scooter and couldn't help. Franny in the breakfast room is a person who is attentive to your needs and has welcomi g cherry comments to start your day. Outstanding breakfast of any motel we have stayed in. Cookies in the afternoon were awesome with a nice variety. Beverages available 24 hours a Day is better than most hotels that only offer water. The only negative is the carpets in room, hallways and waiting area need a good steam cleaning so that is why I gave 4 stars

Stayed 2 nights when visiting Charleston area. Nice Hotel with well kept surrounds and there seems to be some pride from all concerned . Very friendly helpful staff with nothing too much trouble. Breakfast is very good and the lady in charge is a hoot....she sure seems to like her job and is a credit to the Hotel . Very clean rooms even though some of the rooms need a little updating it seems to be a job in progress. Would stay again if in the area.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel is old and badly in need of updating . Some rooms are very old smelling and the heating systems are badly in need of changing . The were felty .

Great Location, Friendly Staff. Carpeting in guest room looked like it needed a good shampooing or replacement. Mattresses were okay, but not as comfortable as other Best Western hotels we've stayed in.LOVED the window seat in room, perfect for reading a good book and extremely cushy. Also LOVED the charming murals at the elevator doors! Friendly caring staff, the breakfast server was AMAZING!

We stayed here while visiting the Charleston area. Good beds, rooms looked clean. Breakfast good. Every morning we had : scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, cold or hot cereal, yogurt and toppings, pastries, and make your own waffles. Good coffee. Every employee that we spoke to was very friendly and helpful. Didn't go out to the pool. The hall carpet needs a good cleaning. Over all, good place to stay.

Good hotel, nice breakfast area and many items to choose from. Could use updating and renovation although there seems to be some painting and changes being made.Good location to Charleston just over the bridge-easy access.

I stayed in room #223 on October 11, 2018 ...and I woke up in the middle of the night with 8 to 10 bedbug bites. When I hopped out of the bed in shock, I saw a bedbug running to the head of the bed and I started taking pictures. The hotel gave me a full refund, but I'm emotionally scared from the incident and I already suffer from anxiety.

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night due to a cruise leaving out the next day. The location of this hotel is very nice, as it is just across the bridge from the port. The staff was very nice, even the breakfast lady that I have heard so much about...she was amazing! Spoke to everybody, even though some snotty folks did not even speak back....she still spoke and asked if anybody needed anything. The breakfast spread was very nice...biscuits and gravy was good. The only thing I did not like was the room. It was VERY musty and humid...they even had a little dehumidifier in the room that we had to keep dumping water out of all day and night...yet the room was still very humid and musty....so other than that...room was ok for the night.

Staff was very friendly. The woman that worked in the breakfast area was so overly helpful and was always asking are you ok do you need anything. The bed was very comfortable. The tv was ok. The breakfast was amazing.

Easy access to downtown Charleston (although a shuttle service would be a nice feature!), friendly staff (especially at breakfast!), quiet rooms (even next to elevator!). Trouble using tv remote & finding channel guide hidden in room.

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Charleston and surrounding area. Bed was comfortable, room fairly clean but rug didn't look like it had been vacuumed. The shower had issues but staff was quick to remedy. Breakfast was pretty good, same offerings as all other BW's, there was a woman who worked the dining area one of the mornings we had breakfast who was over the top, she was trying to be friendly and hospitable but as crowded as the room was and how loud and overbearing as she was it was too much. I get the whole southern charm and hospitality but I don't need you to fix my breakfast or put your arm around me, no offense but learn some personal space rules.

We are Lowcountry locals, but when some friends came to Charleston for a visit we stayed a night in order to spend more time with them. Downtown Charleston hotels are stupid expensive (double what we paid in NYC a few weeks ago!), so knowing that Mt P is so close we suggested it. My husband, who has a talent for finding good hotels, chose this one. It was a good choice. The property has been recently updated. Everything was in good condition. All of the staff were incredible, especially Grannie at breakfast. She insisted on hugging everyone that came in, even me though I had just been for a run and was less than presentable :) The breakfast is good, but the area is small; if you show up at a peak time it is more hassle to try to get some of the hot food than it is worth. Keep the timing in mind for breakfast. The room itself was comfortable. It was well-appointed, the a/c worked well, and the room had been updated as had the rest of the hotel. The cleanliness was passable. My comment on this is that there was a healthy bit of dust on top of the tile base at the bathroom floor, on the hair dryer holder, and the corners. This to me means they do a good job cleaning, but don't go that extra step. In time these areas will build up and make the room look dingy. Also, the lotion bottle provided was empty, which also shows a lack of attention to detail when servicing the room. That said, I'd rather the bathroom fixtures be clean knowing that these fine ladies and gentlemen have only so much time to turn an entire hotel of rooms around each day. If I ever had a need to stay in the Charleston area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

From the time we walked in the door everything was great! Bereese was so engaging and sweet even at 1am! We wanted to stay an extra night and she remembered! Someone cancelled and she was able to book us an extra night. Warm cookies in the evening were a nice touch! Miss Frannie in the breakfast area was the absolute sweetest! Check out was super easy. I won't hesitate to return here or to recommend this location to friends and family!

Great visit from start to finish, Check in was friendly and quick. Parking was free which is always a plus. Rooms where a good size clean and had everything you would need except no fridge. Breakfast was good but I don't remember her name but the lady who was in charge of the room was amazing friendly and willing to help. Location was a very short drive to Charleston as well as beach.

Our visit to South Carolina was very enjoyable ! We stayed at Patriots Point Mount Pleasant South Carolina Best Western ! The room was large with plenty of room for our family and it was clean!! We will return to this Best Western!!

Room was comfortable, however when I moved chairs found allot of dirt and food droppings on floor. Cleaning staff is not thorough. Breakfast was the standard Best Western, which is OK. Check In/Out was fast. Not much more I can say

I really enjoyed this small hotel and the service from the staff. Using point accumulated from a free night help tremendously. The breakfast had plenty of options to choose from. Check-in and check-out was seamless. I didn't have time to use the internet or the pool. I'd recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Very close to the brige that takes you downtown. Room was clean a little smell of mold but not sure what it was. The guys that check us in in the pm, were very friendly and helpfull, gave us a bunch of dining recomendations and a map that helped me out in what we wanted to see.

The hotel was nice, but the rooms were a little tight. Would stay again though and staff was very friendly and helpful. We came down for our anniversary because we love Charleston and all it's history.

Staying with Best Western Patriots Point is always a pleasure! I am on the road approximately 340 days a year and BWMP always makes me feel like it is my home away from home. From the front desk staff, housekeeping and hospitality, I am treated like family.

Room was nice very clean and had a great amount of space for me and my hole family. We had two Queen beds and a full size couch bed. Our children really enjoyed the pool. Very easy to find. I recommend this place to everyone. The breakfast lady was THE BEST lady we have ever met and most kind hearted person ever. She had to give hello and goodbye hugs to everyone in the room. She was a wonderful person to meet as you start out your day. Taylor Family

Our stay was great and we really appreciated the hospitality of the entire staff at this location!! The culture of friendliness and hospitality was evident in all of the staff! This was a second visit for us and even better than our first stay a few years ago. We will be back!

This Best Western in Mount Pleasant offered a comfortable stay with a cheerful staff (especially Franny in the morning in the Breakfast Room) and an excellent location for trips into Charleston (via Uber!). The only negative is that the Breakfast Room is a bit small and somewhat tight for moving about.

I mostly I would like to say that the wonderful lady in the breakfast room was THE BEST we have ever encountered. She was totally involved with refilling food choices as necessary. She gave hello and goodbye hugs. A beautiful person!

A wonderful and nice experience. It is wonderful to go to a place that provides all that you need at the comfort of your stay. Our family had an emergency and Best Westwrn made our stay at this location and throughout the country a time a time of tranquility and mindfulness. Only thinking that we felt well rested and refreshed and ready to share with the family after a full hot breakfast. Thank you for all you attention and thoughtfulness. It was a nice stay. the people are super nice and friendly' I will be back in the future. The hotel is a bit old other than that everything was good. Could be a little bit cleaner. Bring you flip flops to wear in the room.

My room had one of the dirtiest carpets I have ever seen, but everything else was fine. The breakfast was varied and copious; I particularly appreciated the fresh pears. Tea and cookies in the lobby were also nice. All the staff were extremely pleasant. The location is pretty good for this expensive city, especially on a Sunday, when you can drive in and park for free in a matter of minutes.

We have stayed here 4 times in the last couple of summers. Always very clean, front desk super friendly. Room always very clean and fresh. Free breakfast is always up to par. Don't deal with the gig prices and traffic in Charleston, stay across the river and Uber to Charleston and relax.

Everyone was friendly. every thing was clean. Could not ask for better place to stay. Breakfast was better than we thought it would be. miss Franny was a joy to meet. She always had a smile and a hug for you.

We found a great deal for this hotel on a booking website. The reviews were confusing but this hotel is what we were looking for! A good deal! It is not “over-the-top” fancy, an AMAZING location, and friendly staff. The room was ready early for us and they made sure we always had what we needed. The breakfast staff member is sweet. You can tell she is working hard to help everyone enjoy starting the day with a good meal.

Stayed here 4 nights. Its clean, beds are good. Staff was nice. The lady in the breakfast room was the best ever. Always asking what you need. Saying God Bless you , the best. Food was good, chouce of waffle or wake mix in pancake shape. If you need anything like extra towels etc. They were good. Room halls could use upgrade, but still ok.

We stayed at Best Western Patriots Point for 6 days and we loved it. It is located very close to Charleston downtown and to Shem Creek (an area that is worth to pay a visit both for the views and activities but also for the restaurants). The hotel staff were amazing, very friendly and accommodating. High five to the lady in the breakfast area, she made us feel at home. We were pleasantly surprised with the facilities and the maintenance, would definitely stay there again.

It has a extremely convent location between Patriots Point and Charleston to allow quick access to both locations within minutes. Its breakfast is extraordinary tasting better then any hotel food that I have ever had and the staff were beyond kind and helpful. And while the staff were adequate and quick in their cleaning of the rooms, it was obvious the staff did not have experience in cleaning the pull out couch bed's sheets that were used by our third guest as they ignored it the entire time during our trip. The showers seem to be quick in losing hot water and there are small upgrading needed here and there, but over all, a highly recommended hotel.

This was a pretty good place to stay. The staff were very friendly and made sure to speak to you when they saw you. The rooms, lobby, hallways, and dining area were clean and well kept up. Breakfast was the normal for most hotels with the twist of a lovely lady who takes care of you like family. She always had a smile and hug and would go out of her way to speak to you. We would definitely go back.

Beds were very uncomfortable, there were spring beds and creaked every time i sat down. I didn't sleep well and kept waking up with back pain. The hotel was clean and staff was nice but when you don't get that much needed rest on a good bed everything else counts for very little.

This hotel was conveniently located near Charleston and reasonably priced. The room was adequate for the 2 of us and was very clean and quiet. However, we had 2 TV's (apparently the room was a suite, but it was just 1 room with a bed and a sofa) and the TV in front of the bed did not work. Breakfast included waffles, biscuits and gravy, sausage, fruit, pastries, cereal, juices, and coffee. The breakfast lady provided top notch service with the ultimate southern charm. We would definitely stay here again if we were in there area!

Great place to stay and tour the city from , the staff were amazing and although the hotel is a little older it was very comfortable and clean . Breakfast included was a bonus and the pleasant woman working the breakfast room was delightful and brought my coffee to my table .

Ms Fanny made everyone's morning! She was an absolute pleasure and needs a tip jar AND A RAISE! The hotel was nice and clean like you expect from Best Western but shes the reason I'm taking the time to write this review.

This hotel is a conveniently located to the main road so it is minutes to some great restaurants,the beach, shopping, the battleship, and the historic district. The room was comfortable and clean. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable (especially about the restaurants). Miss Frannie, the breakfast lady, is friendly, helpful, and caring. Eating breakfast with her is like being a grandma's house. She is a doll! We would definitely stay there again.

The housekeeping was TERRIBLE. During our 3 day stay we had to ask shampoo/soap, towels and CLEAN glasses. It was the worst experience EVER staying at BW. Being a Platinum BW member, I and my wifer were so surprised and DISSAPOINTED! Dirty and stained sheets and pillow cases? Truly UNBELIEVABLE!! The only bright spot was with Fran, the breakfast lady who was so caring and cheerful, that we kind of missed that kind of attitude in the other BWs we have stayed at. She deserves a raise or at the very least some kind of special recognition. SHE IS THE BEST! :)

The room smelled like mildew. It was so wet and humid in the room the entire stay. I noticed the dehumidifier that was in the room so this must be a common complaint but it did not help at all. I felt constantly sticky while in the room and all of the linens and stuff in my suitcase felt damp. Also, upon check-in I had to clean the bathroom with the Lysol wipes that I had packed because there were hairs all over the bathroom and urine splatters on the toilet! I also picked up about 3 dead bugs on the carpet. Carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a while and it was filthy. My son wore his clean white socks in the room one morning and the bottom of them were dirty from the carpet. The front desk staff and the breakfast were nice but the humidity and dirtiness of the room would keep me from ever staying here again or recommending this hotel to anyone.

Janessa and Janesca were so helpful. They suggested a restaurant for us to get takeout from and “saved dinner” (according to my 9 year old) by finding us some ketchup packets. The hotel is clean and safe and very close to Sullivan Island.

Room was clean and the beds were super comfy. Service was good. Nice hot breakfast each morning. The only downside was the small dining area. We did not check out the pool. Conveniently located to Isle of Palms, My Pleasant, Shem Creek and Charleston.

We couldn't get more than barely lukewarm water from the shower the first day, even with it turned completely to the high setting. The hairdryer didn't work, and we had to wait for a repair on the morning we were leaving. The door to the room had a crack on the side as well as the bottom, so the usual trick of putting a towel at the bottom of the door didn't help keep noise out. The king-sized bed was very comfortable and the free breakfast was complete and tasty. We expected better service for $159 a night. Most of the staff was professional and friendly, but it's the exceptions that make or break a stay. We won't be back.

the place is mediocre, nice but nothing special. small pool but private kinda. hotel is in a very good location if you want the cruise or stay close in. but the lady that does breakfast and their breakfast was phenomenal.

I appreciated the location in Mount Pleasant. The staff was okay. They didnt acknowledge you unless you approached them. We had one request and they were prompt. The morning kitchen lady was our personal favorite. She was lovely and helpful. Our room was okay. It was clear the staff overlooked some things. They had just painted our door and left the tape on it. Since the doors were just painted they all stuck shut in the humidity. There is a small light near the bathroom that lit up the entire room makimg it difficult to sleep. I had to put my shirt over the light both nights so we could sleep. The room was not as clean feeling as i had hoped. There were crumbs in the corners and dirty sheets on the pull out couch. Overall the hotel was dated, the kitchen area busy and small and staff was okay. I really appreciated the location but next time I will look around.

The rooms at the BW Patriots Point were small, crowded (two queen beds) and the A/C didn't work very well but the staff at the hotel made up for the inconvenience. If only the hotel owners had the same attitude as the staff. Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast staff did a wonderful job. Great people, mediocre hotel.

We chose this hotel because of it's location to the sights that we wanted to visit. We are glad that we did because it was very clean and all of the employees were friendly and helpful. Whenever we visited the dining area Franny was there to greet us with offers to get us anything that we might need telling us not to get out our seats that she would get it for us. Front Desk employees were helpful in suggesting places to eat as well. We would definitely stay here again.

For visiting Charleston is just a bridge over. Close to the shopping area, for the the famous retail stores and close to all known restaurants. And not far the the ferry to Fort Sumter. Also very close to the National Park.

Location was convenient and exterior appearance was fine. Bathroom was not as clean as expected (hair in tub / shower enclosure - wall and base). Breakfast was sub-par. Beds were comfortable. Elevator was hot and slow, but worked. Lobby and parking were adequate. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful.

We had booked at the hotel next to BW for a three day stay. We were afraid to walk out the door at the other hotel! I started looking for somewhere else to stay and found this BW. I immediately booked a room for the next two nights and cancelled my existing reservation. It was slightly more expensive but well worth it! The check-in staff (Michele in particular) went out of their way to help with anything we needed. The breakfast was fantastic - Franny was great keeping things stocked - and they had a good variety of food. The pool was nice, especially after a hot day of sightseeing. The room was a good size and very comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay here again

The Hotel employees were extremely helpful and showed genuine attention to my needs and requests. They were a friendly group of employees. I was only there for one night, but they made my stay a great experience.

Its far enough away from the high dollar hotel range but close enough for a quick drive across the bridge or a cheap uber into the area. Also, near good shopping and restaurants just outside of Charleston... Prime location for the lowest price and best quality

loved the fact that it was out of the city. Our room was nice but small. The pool was very nice and there are many place to go and enjoy a meal out or shop nearby. Breakfast was an added bonus. You are going to pay plenty in Charleston so this is out of town a bit but safe.

Great reception from two friendly and helpful front desk attendants. First room assigned was on the first floor and dark, damp, aged and smelled. We asked for a room change, and they immediately accommodated request. Overall hotel is okay, its looks very new on the outside but very aged inside the rooms. It met the need for a one night stay , but I will not choose BW again price was high for what we got. Will go somewhere more consistent.

The hotel needs some interior TLC. The guest room had a strong mildew'y odor to it. A party the night before seemed to have gone unnoticed as drink glasses were left abandoned in the hallway for a good part of the morning. I will not be returning. We relocated for our second night to Springhill suites next store. A little more expensive but a real pleasure to stay at.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were ever so helpful. At breakfast Frannie made sure everyone had everything they wanted and said God bless you. My three sons loved her and got hugs from her! We just had to get a picture with her before we left. The beds could be more comfortable and the shower was a little small.

Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was good. Location is great, easy access to Charleston and a lot of good restaurants nearby. Only complaint was our room keys did not work for the entire stay.

Nice breakfast - eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage, breads, small danish and muffins, waffles, cereal, coffee juice. But the best part was Franny - true southern gem (she helped with breakfast.) All staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Average hotel room - ours did have a musty smell. The reason for the 3 stars was the room smell.

We had an extremely bad experience at this hotel. Room smelled extremely musty and curtains on the window were extremely sheer and see through. There was a parking lot outside our window with a huge street light that streamed into our room all night since we had no way to block it. Between the smell and no sleep due to the light in the room we couldn't wait to check out. Breakfast was a one positive note. Also the afternoon/evening desk staff was very friendly but when we checked out in the morning we were barely greeted and she didn't bother to ask how our stay was.

We were very happy with everything at this hotel but you are blessed with a gem like Franny orchestrating the most wonderful breakfast buffet. Her cheerful gregarious welcome started everyone's day off right, with a smile and an appreciation for all that she was offering us. Her cheerfulness was contagious. Looking forward to the next time.

We stayed 3 nights and really liked our stay here. Our room was clean and spacious. Bed was very comfy with nice soft pillows. Shower was hot and powerful. We had no problems at all with WiFi or TV. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The only reason I'm not giving 5/5 is the breakfast. The room is far too small for a hotel of this size. Some mornings all the tables were taken and there just wasn't the room to get your food. I'd like to make a mention to the lady who was running the breakfast room over the weekend. She was brilliant, always kept coming in asking if everyone was OK and if we needed anything. This is a nice hotel in a good location which I would recommend.

We selected BW because we wanted to go to Ft Sumter. The hotel is practically in walking distance to Patriots Point - but we drove. Lots of places to eat in the area. It's also a short ride from Charleston. So if you'd rather not stay in Charleston and aren't looking for a fancy place, this is fine. The free breakfast is good and the staff is very helpful.

I'm so happy I chose this hotel for my cruise stay. I had a really bad experience at another hotel in North Charleston a couple of years ago so I was really skeptical about this hotel. But I'm beyond pleased and happy that I stayed here before my cruise. The shuttle service to the port was very easy but coming back was a little difficult because the shuttle that dropped us off wasn't there when we got off the ship. So after contacting the bus driver he sent us a taxi which was actually cheaper then the shuttle bus. The hotel was very nice and clean. I really like the area and I felt like my car would be fine parked there for the week. The employees were extremely friendly and the morning breakfast was delicious. This will be the only hotel I will stay at for now own before my cruise.

Hotel is conveniently located to all there is to do in Charleston. Room was clean and beds comfortable. The ongoing rehab put us off a bit so my rating is a bit low. We would stay here again because of the location.

I spent one night here after arriving from Boston. The hotel is in busy Mt. Pleasant but on a side street which is fairly quiet. (It was bad luck that there was construction going on at a nearby property.) The room was small but comfortable and had all the amenities I needed, I chose this hotel partly for the hot breakfast, which was average. The breakfast layout was better organized than in most motels. The one negative I have is that, when I checked in, the desk clerk was having a private conversation with her partner behind the desk (security man, I believe), and this continued while she was working with me. I consider that unprofessional, and for a hotel as nice as this, I think the management should discourage personal repartee between employees while they are dealing with customers.

Can't say anything really negative about this hotel. Location is very convenient for exploring the Charleston, good parking, clean rooms with good beds, satisfactory breakfast, polite staff.. Just a couple of minor minuses: no shelves in bathrums and relatively poor soundproofing of our room - I had to run AC in fan regime for white noise. Overall - good value for money.

Upon arrival at Patriots Point, we were told pool would be closed. We specifically booked this hotel due to the pool. We wanted to swim. I was at the desk asking about the pool hours and the clerk didn't respond, however a passing employee just blurted out that it's closed for 4 days. Next on the 2nd day, we realized that our door did not close all the way as we left. This meant that anyone can just push the door and walk in. We reported to the desk, and told we didn't want to leave the room until the door was fixed. Waited an hour and no one came. At that point we asked again only to be met with annoyance from desk clerk. We decided to put the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door and take all valuables with us. This hour wait caused us to be late for our tour, and there were no more tours for the day available. We were also very un easy leaving our room un locked, but we didn't have a long stay so we needed to meet our college students and get on with our trip. By putting the do no disturb on, we obviously were not provided clean towels, soap etc. Other notes to mention; we did not feel comfortable walking on the carpet barefoot. It was gross and sticky, plus the bathroom sink did not drain properly. the only positive I have to note is that the lady providing the breakfast was SO nice. Every morning, she greeted everyone so very pleasantly!!

You get much more for much less money than staying in downtown Charleston. Breakfast daily, coffee, tea, water always available. Nice outdoor pool. No fee to park at hotel. Short drive or Uber ($16) into Charleston. 1.2 mile walk (25 min) to Patriot's Point. Employees at the hotel were pleasant and helpful, and Franny, the warm and welcoming breakfast attendant, was a pleasure to see each morning. She was attentive to every family's needs, and made each person feel special.

We wanted to see the USS Yorktowne, USS Laffey and USS Clagmore at Patriots Park. The park is literally within walking distance of the hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Coffee is available 24 hours -- greatly appreciated.

The Staff was friendly and very helpful! They even delivered a few forgotten toiletries within a few minutes right to the room! The room was clean and just perfect for a weekend to visit the USS Yorktown. Perfect location to it.

Clean room and very hospitable staff. Nice welcoming front desk, fresh and southern breakfast. I stayed in the room with two queen beds. It was clean and comfortable with all little things that I need for my short trip to Charleston. The restroom was clean and upgraded. It seems that the hotel is done a lot to renovate and still in process to update some details for guests, as elevator and carpet. I enjoyed.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Checkin was done in seconds, the room was spacecious and clean. Standard breakfast was available. The Hotel is close to a number of Restaurants but we were facing some difficulties to find one which served a good meal in a quiet atmosphere.

Not accommodating at all. We came in for my sisters wedding. They wouldn't even put us next to each other after asking 2x before arrival and them telling us okay. Instead put us in adjoining room with strangers and they complained at midnight that we were talking and our TV was on. Our toilet kept breaking and spraying out from the tank.. some water line. The bed sheets didn't fit. They wouldn't even zipper on. We woke up on a dirty stained mattress.

First off! Shame on management that only “one” person available for check in. 98% had reservations Took 2 hours in line to get a room key. The clerk at the front desk did a great job. Not his fault no other staff on duty. Mgmt might think to cross train others on duty when a crowd arrives. No restaurant - coming soon. Bar open til midnight - room was very clean - pool water. Cold heater broken -safe hotel

We stayed here for one night on our visit to Charleston. The hotel is minutes from the impressive bridge which joins Mount Pleasant to Charleston. It was a left turn right after the bridge on the mount Pleasant side.We arrived late afternoon, checked in to our comfortable room. Great beds and pillows. Breakfast was self service and adequate. What I liked about this hotel was that, although it was not in the centre of Charlestown, it was relatively easy to get in to the centre as Bay Street (which leads down to the historic centre) is just off the bridge into the city - 10 minutes drive. The other bonus was that the helpful staff of the hotel recommended that we ate dinner at one of the many restaurants down on Shem Creek. This was a 5 minute drive away (on the Mount Pleasant side of the bridge).We enjoyed dinner at a waterfront restaurant then took a quick drive around all the beautiful streets looking at the houses near the waterfront. I would definitely recommend this hotel - good position, clean, comfortable, quiet and cheaper than the hotels in the downtown.

Luckily I paid for this room with my points. If I had to pay $138 for one night I wouldn't have been very happy. The carpets were dirty and weinkled and the bathroom counter barely held a toothbrush it was so small. The breakfast was good. The staff was good. I wanted to stay there for the proximity to Fort Sumter

We have stayed here before never disappoints. Excellent staff, great breakfast. Location is fantastic easy to get on bridge to Charleston. Lady helping with breakfast was so cheery and helpful it was a pleasant change.

Booked this hotel after reading reviews on trip advisor. The location was perfect, considering it is very close to many of the sites we wanted to see. Extremely close to Patriots Point and only a quick 10 minute ride into historic Charleston. Spent a few days at this hotel. We were given a room on the first floor. They are doing some renovations on the other floors, but we never heard any construction nor did we hear any of our neighbors. We had a double queen room. Rooms were small, but if you aren't spending a lot of time in them, they were more than adequate. There were 2 of us, but if you have more in your group, it could get crowded. Rooms came with a mini fridge, microwave, ironing board, hairdryer. Shampoo products were Pantene. The bathroom had a tub/shower and vanity was inside the bathroom. Water pressure was excellent and water could get extremely hot if you weren't careful (but we never ran out of hot water). Beds were firm and comfortable. Towels were a bit rough, but did the job! Breakfast in the a.m was more than enough and always stocked. You could make your own pancakes or waffles. They also had eggs, breakfast meats and sausage gravy. A nice plus was the yogurt station with lots of toppings to choose from. Always felt safe, as rooms are inside of building. Adequate parking. Took an Uber from the hotel to the City Market and it was about $10 one way. Beats fighting the traffic and dealing with parking. Rooms were clean. They missed cleaning our room on the first morning - - they managed to take our dirty towels, but did not replace them nor did they make the beds or emptied the trash. This was brought to the attention of the front desk & we ran into no other issues. Staff were helpful. Not overly jovial, but we're able to assist when assistance was needed. Overall, I would stay here again and recommend this hotel.

The staff really made our trip. This is a great location to explore Charleston and the historical tours around Mt Pleasant. Highly recommend. Breakfast was tasty and there was always cookies and coffee available.

Location: GREAT, across from entrance to Patriots Point, down the street to lots of fun, great restaurants by Shem Creek. When we checked in, reception person lackadaisical, almost rude, just didn't seem to want to be there (maybe supposed to go off her shift any moment?). Reception area kinda strange. Supposed to be working on looks of elevator...Room itself was a 3 to 3 1/2, bed very comfortable. Small tub. WATCH OUT FOR EXTREMELY HOT WATER!! Breakfast room and breakfast lady = FAB. Checkout was great. Construction nearby.

Being at Patriots Point made all of the attractions in the Charleston area easy to get to. We used this trip as our annual anniversary trip. We have been to Patriots Point before and new the area was right across the bay from Charleston. We arrived in time to visit the battery and walk around for a little while. When we arrived, the check in was easy. Our room was comfortable and roomy. Could have used some additional seating. There was additional information about the area in the lobby and we were able to plan our day in the city from our room that night. The bed was comfortable and appeared new. Really good pillows. Overall stay was excellent. Good value. Breakfast was standard fare with waffles and in this case a pancake maker. Eggs and sausage and biscuits and gravy. Ali was good. Also had cereal bagels and muffins. I prefer the cooked items. Very satisfying.

You will enjoy everything about BW. Value, service, location, rooms, beds, good shower ,helpful informative staff, breakfast ,clean, computer available, refrigerator, microwave, in room coffee, swimming pool and room amenities.

Low price was reflected in service and hotel smelled like it was just fumigated. Check in was slow and when coffee machine in room malfunctioned I was met with less than friendly service at the front desk

This is a great hotel with reasonable rates and a short drive to downtown Charleston. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is wonderful! The lady in charge of breakfast kept everything stocked and greeted people, offering to get them coffee or juice.

Minthia, the lady who checked us in was a gem. Tammy, the front desk lady the next morning was rude and snobby. Our keys did not work and she argued with us about keeping them close to our phones which we did not do. Franny the breakfast lady was great. Even with the problems, we would recommend this hotel.

Wonderful staff. Both check in breakfast and checkout. Rooms a little small but comfy beds and clean. Breakfast was available for a good amount if time. Up until 10 am which is nice so you don't feel you have motivate early.

I really enjoyed my stay with my boyfriend! It was so nice and everyone was so welcoming! Will stay again! It was our first time as a couple to go out of town so we decided mount Pleasant and I loved how everything was so close to us!

Very good locations and services. Clean and with a modern look at the entrance. excellent breakfast.Only issue, the room was too humid despite air conditioning on. The small dehumidifier in the room was not enough. Fair room rate of $102 x night including all taxes and fees, stayed 3 nights.

excellent customer service , clean rooms, great location at a cant beat price . the area around the hotel was safe and there were several eating establishments and grocery stores within walking distance !

We stayed here a couple of years ago, but unfortunately this BW hasn't maintained. We requested a handicap room and were informed it was on the 3rd floor BUT the elevator wasn't working so we would have to use the stairs....that doesn't even make sense. We then requested a regular room on the 1st floor, and to their credit, one was available...it came with someone else's underwear on the floor next to one of the double beds. YUCK. Wasn't too confident about the cleanliness of the room/bathroom overall. Will not stay here again. On the plus side, location is good and the breakfast was good.

One night stay. Hotel staff were awesome. I called since website showed fully booked. Asked them to call if they had a cancellation, they did. Really, really appreciate their help. Definitely will stay here anytime we come back. The lady serving breakfast was great, constantly asking if we were ok and if we needed anything. Again, I can not thank the desk staff for being so helpful!!!

Stayed here the night before a cruise and we left our car for the duration of the cruise. Excellent location, clean and friendly staff! You can take their shuttle that was $10pp each way or taxi/uber/lyft to the port and be there within 10 minutes. We'll be back!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful but Ms. Franny's morning greeting would cheer even a grumpy person. She went out of her way to greet you, serve you and encourage you. She made the stay very enjoyable. I looked forward to her "good morning!" each time I went to breakfast.

My husband and I took a brief, “mini honeymoon” to Charleston, and we chose to go with a less expensive hotel so we could stay longer and enjoy the city. This Best Western was absolutely perfect, and I will definitely be booking here again in the future. The rooms and lobby were very clean, the staff was kind, funny, respectful, and attentive. We have no complaints, whatsoever.

From the time we entered the hotel we were greeted with exceptional customer service. Tasha at the front desk was kind and very accommodating. She was attentive to us and gave us needed information about the property and surrounding area. The hotel both looked and smelled clean.

Hotel was great, food service superb for what you expect with the free continental breakfast. Beds were a little stiff for our preference, but everything else was superb.Great location, staff gave great recommendations on dining and things to do.

This hotel was nice and clean. The room I had was a great size with a great size bathroom. No complaints at all about the room or the hotel. The free breakfast was fantastic - cereals, scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, breads, bagels, pastries, and even different flavored creamers for your coffee.

During the Blizzard of 2018, my wife and I, were unable to safely climb 2 sets of exterior steps stayed at Best Western Patriots Point. We met Tammy the front desk manager who frequented Jersey Mikes at same time we did. Tammy was very friendly so when the need arrived we went to stay with her. Tammy was snow bound with us for 3 days and along with Henry the Maintenance man, efficiently ran the Hotel.The guests wanted for nothing and she was on top of all our needs. We also want to thank Keith who came in on the 3rd shift so Tammy could get some sleep. Tasha , and Tiffany the Gm ran the desk on the weekend. Support staff we also want to thank are the Breakfast team Donet, and Franny, Debra the Housekeeper. Later today i learned that though corporate business. Best Western Patriots Point ran so well is that Tammy, Tasha and Franny are also family. We recommend the Best Western Patriots Point its awesome staff. For a traveler it is the best place to stay, one right turn from the parking area and a left or right at the first light will easily take any tourist to Down town, The Beaches, or Shem Creek Water front dining and of course Jersey Mikes where we met Tammy whose friendly face and warm smile , made choosing Best Western Patriots point and easy choice for locals unable to climb 2 flights of exterior steps during the storm choose Patriots Point Best Western.

The three days we spent were wonderful. Staff was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was off the chain. Every afternoon, there's hot baked cookies. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate all day long..

Except during a Blizzard MT Pleasant is a wonderful place is call home. Steps add to the treachery . A chance, Circle K encounter with Manager Tammy Brown led me to contact Patriots Points Best Western. Tammy Brown and Henry Heyward the maintainance man, came to work during the blizzard. For 72 Hours they took care of both guest services and including baking cookies , and houskeeping. Keith the third shift man who lived within walking distance allowed them to sleep for a few hours. We came an met Tammy at the front Desk Tuesday evening at 7 pm, with a smile, it is now Friday Tammy is still smiling , Thank you Tammy, Henry, and Keith for your hard work.

BW Patriots Point is very convenient for getting into and out of Charleston easily and the parking is free. King bed was comfortable and the room was clean and serviceable. The breakfast had many choices but was standard fare. The people at the front desk were especially nice and helpful.

The hotel was very clean, they had a good breakfast, and it was very close to cruise port. The parking was ample and the service desk people were friendly. Will definitely stay there again if we are in Charleston. Thank you

Our stay was very nice. Bed extremely comfortable. I had requested a ground floor room since I was traveling with my elderly mom. The room was directly across from dining room. The noise during breakfast (beginning at 6am) was terribly annoying. I now know not to stay on ground floor. :-) Otherwise, great hotel.

Happy best western customer. We have been coming to Charleston for over 40 years and since we lived close we never spent an overnighter until tues. I love Charleston and will keep coming back. This hotel was easy to get to and centrally located to where I wanted to go.

This is a great location for visiting Charleston. My daughter, mother and I stayed one night. Hotel is clean, very comfortable and very convenient to Charleston. Breakfast was good. Check in and check out very fast.

Nice room, breakfast, & stay, but where is the stuff I inadvertently left there? They said they'd call me back about it, but never did. Fortunately it was only a couple nightgowns on the back of the bathroom door and not something more valuable, or I'd be really upset! We enjoyed the breakfast and the super nice lady who covered the dining area (can't remember her name), but she kept coming by every few minutes to greet her dining room guests & make sure they were happy with everything & didn't need anything else!

Although this is an older hotel, it is clean and well maintained. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was good, and there was plenty to go around. The location is excellent, it is near Patriot's Point and the bridge to downtown Charleston. The AAA discounted rate for a 2 queen bed room was $65.00, which is a steal for an interior corridor hotel in this area. They had an outdoor pool, but it was out of season, but it looked well cared for also.

We travel quite often and I can honestly say that the people who work at this hotel are superb. We checked in and had trouble with a Bookings.com reservation and Danet, the lady at the front desk, couldn't have been more accommodating. She was so helpful and kind. Also, Franny, the lady who works the breakfast room, was charming and extremely helpful as well. Actually, we didn't meet any employees who weren't friendly. Best Western Patriots Point is very lucky to have such great people working for them.

My husband and I love staying at this particular Best Western. The hotel staff is very welcoming and helpful. The room was very presentable and clean. The location is prime to many of Patriot's Points tourist sites, restaurants, and shopping. We will be back.

We pay for basically a few reasons 1) Being safe-This hotels side doors are open for anybody to walk in and rob-mug-rape or what ever crime they want. 2) Comfort.....The beds were so bad we asked to change rooms and did just that. The new room was worst than the first. The smell was unbelievably BAD. These are the basic reasons what we expect when we stay at any Hotel. Safety and Comfort you DO NOT HAVE

Having been to a dozen different hotel chains over the last decade, nothing stood out as 'memorable' than a simple 'Good' cup of coffee to start the day. To me, this showed a true interest in the client. And when I said a 'good' cup of coffee, your coffee machine makes freshly brewed 'great' coffee. I had to return for several more cups as its taste 'motivated' me to prepare for the following days' client meetings. I already started recommending this hotel to my clients, and friends.

With a military discount, very affordable. We shared two queen beds for one night with our cruising buddies. Close to Port of Charleston to embark Carnival Ecstasy as well as a lot of site seeing available in Charleston. This motel is aged but unique and well kept. The breakfast offered hot entrees as well as continental type breakfast items. Parking for cruisers is available with shuttle service for a nominal fee.

This is one of the least expensive hotels in the area, but at almost $170 I expect more. When we first checked in we were given a room that was an absolute disaster and had not been made up. After dragging all our luggage back downstairs we did get another room that was OK, but a bit worn and with the smell of very old smoke. On top of that, one of the beds had a cover on it that made a lot of noise whenever someone moved - a noise that made most of us cringe. The bathroom is designed very inefficiently as well, with a countertop that extends to the area above the toilet which makes it impossible for the toilet seat to stay up without holding it, and forcing you to lean forward when sitting down. We also had to stop and start the shower multiple times to get hot water. I will say the staff was friendly, but for the kind of money we had to spend, I was deeply disappointed.

This was our first family visit to Charleston. We came from Georgia and Pennsylvania. We loved the location of the hotel as it enabled us to drive across the bridge or use the Water Taxi. We will definitely visit again.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Best Western Patriots Point. The staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. The hotel location is very accessible from various highways. The breakast provided was very good.

I liked the hotel. Very attentive staff, nice and clean room, and full breakfast. I generally stay in hotels like Marriott and Sheraton, and I can tell you that although this hotel may not look as glamorous, service was on par. Reception staff is very attentive and spent their time explaining me how to get to the bus station. Bus stop is about 5 min walk (I would not recommend walk late at night) and Uber is about $10. I think this is perfect for someone who has a car and have enough time to explore Charleston. If you are visiting only 2-3 days without a car, I would recommend staying closer to Charleston, since buses do not come as often. Breakfast includes eggs, waffles, muffins and fruits, and it was well prepared. Breakfast lady made sure that there is enough supply of food and would always ask if guests need anything. I think it is a very good value for the price. Very happy with the hotel.

The building itself seemed to need some repair and cleaning. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was really good. The lady preparing everything was so nice and nothing was ever not in stock. When arriving the lady at the front desk gave us coupons and a map of downtown Charleston and a list of eating places. Also, if you forget toothpaste, soap, etc. they have it for you at no extra charge.

Clean inside and out, easy parking, good breakfast and nice rooms. Friendly staff at the desk at check in. If we are in the area again we would consider staying here again. Lived crossing the cool bridge to get there from Charleston.

If it hadn't been for a slow toilet that eventually stopped up and when reported we were asked to come down to get the plunger ourselves, instead of sending someone to take care of it or them bringing up to plunger for us, all would have been very acceptable and we would have been pleased.

Cleanliness poor, maintenance poor, insufficient parking spaces, unfriendly staff . This BW desperately needs a refresh. Location of this hotel is the best feature of the facility. Staff acted very bothered when additional information was requested.

Just across the Ravenel bridge is Mt Pleasant and the Patriots' Point Best Western. Clean hotel and rooms with super-friendly staff. Usual great Best Western breakfasts. Easy access to Hwy 17 for Charleston or the Boone Hall Plantation, Ft Moultrie or the Hunley.

Enjoyed our stay. Near Patriot Point & right over the bridge from Charleston. The staff was great and the room was clean & comfortable. Eat at Sticky Fingers-great food. Coffee 24 hours. Loved the cookies!

Location, breakfast, and room cleanliness are all a perfect 10! Be sure to set aside a full day to visit the nearby Patriot's Point park, and take the water taxi if you can fit it into your plans. It only goes between the Marina and the Marine Center stops right now due to hurricane damage and construction.

The Hotel was a very clean, the staff was very friendly, and informative. The Hotel offered a shuttle to the port and offered free parking during the length of our cruise. If your looking for a place to park and not pay too much, this is the place. Would recommend to others.

We came here for a weekend getaway and to see the beautiful and quaint city of Charleston. As diamond members, we have stayed in many Best Western hotels. I usually give them 4 stars unless they are the more exceptional Best Western Premier inns. Compared to others I've stayed in, this one was very mediocre. The facility itself might look like the other regular Best Western hotels I've stayed in, but there were some problems with this inn that made me dislike it and not want to return to it. 1. When we entered the room, we were nauseated by a bad smell. It was bad enough to make me want to visit the front desk and ask for a different room. I went into another room, but it smelled bad, also, so we kept the room we had. It was a Saturday night, so they had no other rooms. You couldn't open windows, or we would have done so. We feel that if people leave bad smells behind, the housekeeping department needs to be sure that they are gone when the next guest arrives. 2. Cleanliness. The hallways and other public areas appeared to need to be vacuum cleaned. This was in the afternoon and evening. 3. The towels were very rough in texture. The management needs to consider using fabric softener or get new towels that aren't scratchy. These seemed like budget hotel towels. 4. The mattress was very squeaky. I am only 110 pounds, but when sitting or lying on it the mattress was noisy. It seemed like a cheap mattress. At $149 a night plus tax, I can definitely see myself staying elsewhere during my next weekend visit to Charleston.

Came in for the weekend prior to my cruise and planned on visiting the area. This hotel location worked best as a central point and easy access. It was close to the USS Yorktown, Ft Sumter ferry, and the cruise port. Would stay here again

A great location to access downtown easily, walk the bridge and enjoy patriot's point. The staff is friendly and helpful. The carpeting needs to be replaced and the rooms are smaller. Too many cigarette smokers hovering around the doors.

Average to below average in the room area but front desk staff was above average except the woman responsible for the breakfast area. She was above superior. She was exceptional. Give her a raise, she deserves it. She was wonderful

Location and breakfast were great! Office staff and breakfast lady were friendly and helpful. Lady in charge of breakfast was a hoot! Rooms were clean and fine. I can't type 80 more words--200 is ridiculous.

This is our last morning of a two night stay here. The one star is awarded for the ladies on reception for their help on check in and directing us to a nearby eatery. Two stars have been removed for our room not being made up and a further two stars removed due to the employee responsible telling lies by saying that the "do not disturb" sign was on the outside of our door (room 228). Strangely enough, she was just finishing the room opposite ours when we left around 10.30am (complete with rucksack and handbag) in order to meet our Uber driver. We returned at 8pm to find the room untouched. When I rang reception to complain I received "I'm sorry about that - housekeeping has gone home" and "did we need any fresh towels?". This was followed by a return call about the sign being left on the outside of the door! Furious does not begin to cover this. We are at the end of a 3 week trip to the USA - the first night spent at yet another Best Western where the shuttle bus failed to collect us from a local restaurant as "we were not staying with them". Really? That's not what our bank account says! Will stick with Holiday Inn from now on. Very unhappy.

Good clean hotel. Great rates and very convenient location. Ample parking. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice. Breakfast was good and Franny was very nice and accommodating. She deserves a special award!

The outside appearance of the hotel was very appealing. I thought it was going to be a great stay. Other than the breakfast and the front desk attendants, it was a less than acceptable three day stay. House keeping missed our room two out of three days despite being out by 10:00am. The beds were very noisy. We were not use to this from Best Western.

Great Location for central access to beaches, aircraft carrier, and Charleston. Very clean rooms. They are a little older, but still clean. The staff was very helpful to help us find a restaurant for the evening and even gave us a coupon for an appetizer. Breakfast did have some good choices and the coffee was good. Recommend for location and price!

We just returned from our stay here and we were very pleased. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, from the front desk to the housekeepers. The lady who worked the breakfast area was always available and asking if anything was needed. The property is older, but very well maintained and spotlessly clean. It's also quiet even though it's close to the main thoroughfare. We will definitely stay here again.

Friends staff checked us in right away but we had to get another room because the electronic key wouldn't open the door. The room had an overbearing Fabreze or whatever to cover up the mildew, bug spray, smoke - whatever. Had the air conditioner on full with the vent open to try and help neutralize the odor. After dinner when we returned to the hotel, we discovered the carpet was wet in a few areas. Wet from what? Never mind, don't want to know. Won't be staying here again.

Location of this property is excellent - within easy walking distance to Patriots Point and only a short water taxi ride from there to downtown Charleston. The friendly staff made it so much more enjoyable as they were willing to take the time to give us great tips and pointers to local shops and attractions. The breakfast was complete and even included an automated pancake maker which I had never seen before, and of course the staff, again, was very friendly and helpful. It is so refreshing in these times to find people who are really enjoying their work, and I truly believe that these folks do!

Sayed here for three days 10/10 - 10/13. Tammy the front desk manager was very welcoming and accommodated an early check in. Room comfortable and clean. Great hot water pressure. Weather was a warm 85 degrees for October and we went to utilize the pool. Water clean however leaves were not swept away 2 of the 3 days we utilized. This made it look dirty and cluttered. Breakfast was adequate and constantly refilled. The morning ladies were always asking if we needed anything. Attitude of staff was outstanding. Great recommendations for dinner in Shems Creek area, Would definitely return due to easy access to Isle of Palm, Sullivan Island and Charleston. The Revenel Bridge is too cool.

Everyone was so wonderful. The women taking care of the breakfast is OUTSTANDING and exceeded my expectations!!!. Great choice of food for breakfast. Front desk was also always pleasant and saying hello and goodbye!! Check in was so Fast!. Room was clean and had all we needed for our 3 night trip. Only comment - on our 2nd day we were out of our room from 8:30 am to 1:30 PM and the rooms was not cleaned. The person asked us to please leave soon as she needed to have the room completed by 2pm On the 3rd day of our visit the room was 'started' to be cleaned---garbage cans were emptied but nothing else done. The front desk was great in responding to our comment. I am leaving it to that is was busy weekend and staff got confused.

Between changing rooms and mold I am sure we will be very cautious of staying at a BW again. There was a mold smell that would almost take your breath and the floor was wet in room 320. Then they moved us to 328. Room still had a mold smell just not as strong. When we were leaving we noticed blood and lots of mold on the bed skirt. It was horrible experience thinking we were sleeping in a mold infested room and could possibly be the reason my husband is sick.

My wife and I really enjoyed the hot breakfast and cookies in the lobby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The staff greeted us upon entering and exiting and was great with answering questions. If cookies were not in the lobby, the staff baked some upon request. We redeemed reward points from a credit card for several of the days on our stay so we only paid for 3 or so days. This hotel was above our typical price range, but we saw the value of the amenities after being there a few days. Best Western also offers a loyalty program similar to a Kroger's card so we signed up for that. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and will likely stay at another Best Western when a deal presents itself!

We really enjoyed the breakfast and the lady who looked after us. The rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful too. The aquarium was beautiful and Melvin the puffer fish stole the show. We will be back to see Melvin! Negatives: The AC unit was too noisy and kept us up at night and the pool needed to be cleaned.

Overall we had a great experience at this Best Western. We stayed here for 4 nights and we got married on that Saturday. The hotel staff was very nice and inquired about our wedding and how everything went. We even brought them some food that was left over from the wedding because they made us feel at home. The only complaint is that our room had a slight odor to it and our entrance door kept getting stuck and was hard to open.

This was a nice hotel in a good location close to the many activities at Patriots Point. We went on a dinner cruise leaving from Patriots Point so the location was perfect. Breakfast was available in the morning, so it was a good place to stay in the area.

We chose the BW PP purely on price, however we were pleasantly surprised by the overall set up of the place. At the time the downtown Charleston hotels were going for $100-$150 a night more than this one. You are about a $8-$12 Uber ride from downtown but you can get a lot of travel for $100-$150 a night. The rooms were well appointed, may be a little cramped but that was ok for us as we spent most of our time out. Beds were comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was included and was very good. The lady who looked after the breakfast bar was incredible. Nothing you could ask for was too much trouble. We really felt very well looked after. Desk staff were friendly and helpful. Should add that the TripAdvisor site suggests the have an airport shuttle - they do not.

My cousin and I stayed at Patriots Point Best Western on October 2,2017. We made reservations through the Charleston Visitor Center with a discount! After a full day of sightseeing, we checked in late. The staff was extremely pleasant and competent. We arrived in our room that was clean and comfortable. After a good nights sleep we headed down for breakfast, which was very good. I will return to this hotel again.
