Was greeted by some exceptional staff members working the front desk that I think deserve some recognition. Danny and Roma educated me on near by restaurants and places to visit in the city. Peter at front desk on the way out was amazing as well

I went to this hotel for a 2 day work conference that my colleagues and I were organizing and I have personally never received such incredible service! The general manager, Rafik Zikry greeted me at the door both days and remained available at all times in case we needed anything. He replied to emails within an hour and made our experience one to remember! I would definitely not hesitate to return to this Best Western for any future events! Thank you all so much!!!

What a great place. Everyone is kind and welcoming and the accommodation is always comfortable and the rooms are well tended. The located of the hotel is excellent with many nearby attractions and restaurants. I think the second time I returned to the hotel the attendant called me by name. Mr. Vikry and his staff are warm and welcoming as well as highly professional. Everything was in place for our conference in the Mont Royal 1 room with careful attention to detail. The food was delicious and the view of Montreal is beautiful. A perfect place for a work event.

We booked a meeting space, and the hospitality was impeccable! Rafik, the general manager and his team ensured everything was taken care of and were very accommodating. Our group was very pleased with the service provided. We would definitely go back there when in the Montreal area.

We recently held an international event at this venue, and we could not be more pleased with the service, accommodations for our international guests, conference rooms and the food. My husband and I frequent Montreal often for a weekend getaway to enjoy some hockey and the city's culture. Once we experienced the Best Western Ville-Marie, we look no further. We are committed and loyal to this hotel based on our wonderful experiences. The front receptionist staff, Peter is the face of this hotel. He ALWAYS greets us with his big smile and makes us feel like we are home and very special. His co-worker Sam has also been great. This duo is exceptional! They are always personable, making a point of remembering and addressing us by name, highly respectful, and deliver service excellence every time. Anything we need, they ensure we are having a pleasant and comfortable stay. Overall, we are very happy with the service, cleanliness, and location of this hotel. Having stayed at the Ville-Marie Best Western a few times now, I truly have zero complaints with the care or experience. It's just as you'd expect, and a comfortable stay every time. I actually showed up day-of without a reservation (as sadly I had to travel on such short notice), and Danny at the front desk was able to book me a room on the spot. Would definitely keep coming back :)

I just wanted to say how welcoming and friednly the entire staff is. Led by Mr. Rafik Zikry, his team took exceptional care of us and the guests we had with us. We have stayed at this particular BW multiple times over the past year, and each and every time we have had no one complaint or concern. The rooms are very clean, the staff very welcoming, and the price is affordable for the location.

Best beds ever! So close to fine restaurants and museums. Get a 3 day pass for the Metro and you can see the city. The staff are so accommodating and very friendly. The restaurant and cafe that are attached are perfect. Good food and great latte's. Our short stay there made our trip outstanding.

We have been coming to this hotel for quite a while, it is clean, centrally located and customer service is extremely good. The front desk reception is always a delight to deal with, Peter is a very professional, reliable, and a very big reason why we continue to come back to this hotel, he has amazing customer service skills and always there to assist you. if you have not stayed here you need to, the rooms are very clean and good size.

Conveniently located in downtown Montreal near McGill University and Mount Royal Park. The rooms are clean and have all the amenities expected of a modern hotel, but a bit on the small side. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a bar and restaurant on the premises.

We were there for a conference. The hotel staff were exceptionally responsive and helpful, especially the general manager. The room was clean, spacious and functional. The location was very convenient right on McGill's campus and very close to downtown attractions.

Great location, friendly staff, great dinner and breakfast menu and food, very clean room, spacious in size, very comfortable room and bed, nice exercise room and equipment, friendly talk able manager, just a great motel would recommend it to anyone and hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

Very nice place to stay. We were very pleasantly surprised to be welcome by Rafik, general manager, on our first breakfast. He and his great team gave us plenty of advice to discover Montreal. The room was perfectly clean, beds so comfortable and the view on McGill and Mont Royal really worth it ! This was the first hotel we stayed at during our Canadian tour. It was okay, room was clean, hairdryer had the strength of a gentle breeze, room had tea and coffee facilities. The lobby makes the place look grander than it actually is. Hotel bar is small and seating is limited and there only ever seemed to be one member of staff doing both the bar and restaurant.

This hotel is the most welcoming place, I have ever stayed at. You feel part of their family, as soon as you walk in. Staff, is so welcoming and interested In your day and adventures. The staff actually stops and talks to you, like they know you for years. The Manager Rafik, is so pleasant and helpful. He jumps right in and helps gust and show them around. Highly recommend this hotel, if you want the family feel and welcoming.

The front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating. Our room was very clean and well maintained each day. The bathroom was clean and the fixtures worked well. My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much and had no complaints at all. We would be very likely to stay here again

I held 3 corporate events at Best Western Ville Marie and they were excellent. The venues were great and had a professional atmosphere especially the board room. The food was wonderful and the service was outstanding. Mr. Zikry was outstanding to work with. He proactively thought of all the details and directed his staff so that my events were so successful. I am definitely gong back!

Hotel was clean, employees were friendly. I was disappointed that the bar & restaurant were closed the entire weekend. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was because it had a bar. It worked out, we just spent our money elsewhere. The bed was uncomfortable, had a divot in middle so tended to roll that way. The linens were nice, but the mattress needs to be replaced.

Front desk staff very friendly! But our room was horrible due to the location next to the gym. It sounded like machinery coming through our walls and you could hear every conversation being had in the gym.

We were with our two sons ages 19 and 24 and the hotel is fantastically located to shopping, art musem etc. The hotel staff were so friendly, Peter at front desk was exceptional. Also the older short gent at the cafe was so friendly with my one son and offered him a free espresso and was genuinely curious about his visit to Montreal. So much so that my son remarked while he lives in Toronto for 1. 5 years no one has ever reached out like this. Montreal was consistantly friendly and the Best Western here was minute one for being helpful and curtious. The bedding in room 407 was amazing. I tried to pull back sheets to see what the brands were, but not successful in finding out. Pillows too. The hotel itself is dated but for a place to sleep it was great. We didn't need a fancy lobby for our kind of trip which was spent all day walking shopping and viewing the Fine Art Museum.

It wasn't hard to find a public parking around the hotel, but it was very inconvenient! Imagine dragging your heavy luggage on the street in a rainy/windy day. Especially with children, it was such a pain. The hotel itself was very old, therefore it was overpriced. There are lots of better hotels out there in the area, if you like this location, find a better one around!

If you're looking for a good hotel that's centrally located in downtown Montreal for corporate group bookings, this is the place to go! The facilities are good, the coordination and staff our truly exceptional. Service is key when you're organizing a large group. I would highly recommend and recommend workign with Rafik who is brilliant!

I want to start by saying this is a very nice hotel. We went to Montreal for a weekend get away. The people at the front desk were very helpful. We had a king room on the 14th floor and it was very roomy. The room was spacious and very clean. The house keeping staff was great. They cleaned our room and supplied fresh towels daily. There is a little café at the hotel which serves fresh croissants and breakfast sandwiches. They also serve lunch with fresh sandwiches. The food is excellent.

This hotel was well located and close to shopping, many restaurants and sightseeing locations. Lovely quiet room. Nice to have a coffee shop in the Hotel lobby. Close to McGill and Concordia. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

Close to all amenities, exceptional friendly and helpful staff. selling point for me was the closest to Mont Royale and old Montreal. Tip call ahead to the hotel before booking online as the hotel is quite flexible at time to give you a better deal thank online

2nd time in this hotel within the last 18 months. great convenient location. Clean. Very comfortable. Fridge is kept the coldest when we enter the room, so we can put our medicine in right away! Although the price does not include breakfast, it's worth the price. Very good customer service. This time there is valet parking, but we didn't use it. Last time we parked in a parking lot across the street, perhaps we arrived too late this time and the receptionist did not mention about that parking lot.

People, location and facility is wonderful. I stay here every time I go to Montreal. It is welcoming and hospitable and they remember your name. The best experience I have had in a while with an attentive and kind staff.

The phone didn't work, the pipes rattled, the toilet squeaked, the sheets were stained with ink in spots and there were lady bugs. Also, when I booked, I said there would be need to use the sofa bed and there were no pillows or blankets for it. Also one of the lamps didn't work.

After a long day of work and hot shower the bed was very comfortable. It is also well situated with lots of food options close by. The hotel is located right next to McGill University and I am sure there are plenty of entertainment options close by.

Great staff, had an enjoyable experience. Walking distance to Mount Royal, downtown, Old Montreal, and the Port of Montreal. Lots to see and do very close to this hotel. Staff and restaurants were very good as well.

Very nice lobby and friendly front desk staff. The location is both a positive and a negative - it's so central to McGill University, shopping, restaurants, etc, but my room was facing the main street and it was extremely noisy at all hours of the night and day! There was construction going on across the street that continued up until midnight and then started again around 5-6 am! I'm so glad I had earplugs but still! I asked to be moved, but the front desk staff said there were no free rooms available. I think the least that they could have done was provide a discount for rooms facing the street, because it was extremely loud at all hours. The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows, and were it not for the noise, it would have been an extremely comfortable stay. The room was quite large, and included a mini fridge and coffee maker. What I don't understand about this hotel room (not sure they are all the same) is that they had blackout curtains but only for half of the window! It was impossible to close them all the way because the curtain rod was split into two non-joining pieces! Why in the world would anyone have blackout curtains that could not be closed, thus defeating their entire purpose? We were in fact worried about people from adjacent buildings being able to see into our rooms at night, because while there was a sheer curtain that covered the whole window, it was physically impossible to close our curtains! The reason I gave three stars instead of more was due to the noise and the lack of curtains - otherwise, it would have been a 5 star stay.

Jacuzzi did not work, front desk manager was rude and only wanted to discount 2nd night stay. Jacuzzi also did not fit multiple people as told by hotel staff. Good location however parking will be at a premium if you require access to your car. No 24 hour access as no valet from 11pm till 7am

Stayed here to send my son off to university. Great location. Older hotel but spacious. Right beside campus. Walking distance to downtown Montreal. Farther walk toOld Montreal, Waterfront, Norte Dame and Chinatown.

Hotel was in a great location downtown. Friendly & accommodating staff. Room was quiet & clean (stayed on 11th floor facing Olympic stadium). Room had great view but soon realized we had to keep windows closed majority of the trip; the building had a corner and so we could see right into another guest's room, and vice versa. The window faces our bathroom and you could see us walking around all the time. Room was perfect for 2 people but would be small for 3+ (Got single queen bed room). Offered valet parking but chose to park 5 mins away for cheaper. Overall great hotel for the price paid.

Stayed in room 603. Stains on carpet and poor mattress quality, too soft with crevasse in middle. Not typical, usually very clean carpet and comfortable mattress. Overall great front desk service and valet parking service as I have have had many visits to this hotel in last decade.

Can't beat the location. Restaurants, shopping, entertainment all within walking distance. Very hospitable and helpful staff. Spotless rooms, lobby and cafe. Ample parking in immediate area. Fluently bilingual staff.

We didn't know montreal so chose this place based on location. It turned out to be too far to walk from the station with heavy cases, so a cab was needed. Bit it was ideal for a walk up to Mont Royale via the staircase. Reception were super helpful and friendly throughout. Decor of the hotel was dark and unwelcoming. Rooms were OK. Restaurant was closed due to staff shortage.

We've used this hotel multiple times and will continue to use this as our Montreal accommodations. Convenient location. Clean rooms Amazing staff. Parking service is fabulous. The cafe in the main floor is amazing!!!

The hotel is perfectly fine, we did not have breakfast but the room (6th floor) was large, well decorated, very comfortable mattress and pillows, good wifi (for up to 6 devices per room!) and television with plenty of channels in various languages. The pipes (either radiator or bathrooms) were kind of noisy, as they would make regular noises every time other floors would be using their bathrooms (luckily, this didn't tend to occur at night and it didn't wake us up). Unfortunately, although the location is great for the University, upper section of Montreal and Mount Royal... the hotel is right in the middle of an extremely busy road, with ambulances driving at night and waking you up. The staff were very professional and helpful.

Good clean rooms, friendly staff, little cafe for snacks. Best Western has you covered in Montreal. The only thing which would be easier is the parking but that's to be expected when you go downtown. There is an underground parking for 20 bucks a night across the street.

I think you are business man that could be perfect place because it is very close downtown and you can walk for meeting centre but if you are visit family and please do not choice this one because they did not provide a lot service such as food and beverage and parking

This hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location within walking distance of lots of shopping, restaurants and we even walked to Old Montreal (30 min. each way). The parking was expensive and the food in the Cafe were way overpriced. We had two medium coffees and two buttered bagels and it was $17. Yikes.

We really enjoyed our stay. Centrally located. Friendly staff and valet parking was a plus. We would recommend it to our friends and family. This is our 4-5 time staying here. The cafe is very convenient in house.

Room rate too high. Wifi is poor at best. Bathroom could have been cleaner. No included parking or breakfast. On a positive note desk staff was very helpful, friendly and courteous. Location was ok for most people but if you have any limitations access to center of downtown could be difficult for some.

Hotel Staff are very helpful and try to do everything to make your stay enjoyable. Hotel is clean and in the middle of all the action during F1 Weekend. I am a repeat customer for this very weekend and I am thankful that the hotel management ensure we have a wonderful stay.

Having stayed at this location for my previous 6 Canadian Grand Prix weekends and then again this year (after a 2 year COVID break), Rania, Peter and the rest of the staff at Best Western Ville Marie in Montreal once again provided great service. This centrally located hotel is situated perfectly at the intersection of Peel and Sherbooke streets, right in the heart of the Grand Prix festivities. We are always greeted with warmth and smiles and a hearty "welcome back!" I never worry when booking this location as I always know what to expect.. It's like heading to my second home in Montreal! These folks take great pride in the service they provide and it shows. I'll be booking again for next year's race and look forward to experiencing the exceptional value this location offers. Looked at other reviews and so many 1 out of 5, 2 out of 5, 3 out of 5. Very poor customer service. Booked for Formula 1 in 2020 (expensive). Covid hit, hotel would not refund money - it did say no cancellations but we live in B.C. and the airlines stopped flying to Montreal. Salem Tome (Director of Operations) said as a gesture of goodwill during these times he would issue a credit for future travel. Lots of other reputable businesses refunded the money. No where did the email say it had an expiry date. We called front desk and they confirmed we had a credit so I went ahead and booked for this July 2022. Salem Tome has come back and said I need to use it before June 11 or I will lose the credit. I had already booked airfare for July and been confirmed by the front desk that I had a credit. Now I will lose all my money because I can not change plans within the week before the credit expires. You would think a reputable company could extend the credit one month especially seeing I am going to Montreal when Formula 1 is not on so the hotel probably won't be full. Just very disappointing! I will stay at another hotel that wants my business.

I hosted a 3-day conference at the Best Western Ville-Marie in June and it was a very successful event, mainly due to the excellent service we received from the staff - the front desk staff were super helpful and polite, and we had excellent lunches and snacks every day (best cookies in the world!). The managers were very accommodating to our group and were very attentive to all our needs. Our guests were very satisfied, I highly recommend this hotel for business trips.

I booked online and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is on a corner right near McGill. There is so much to do within walking distance and the area was very nice. The hotel is decent, nice lobby with 4 elevators. We had a room with two beds and the size of the room was very big! My sister had one bed and her room was smaller but still nice. There is a lovely coffee shop in the front and there are large windows all around and they open some for a nice breeze. The decor of the coffee shop is like you are in an old Spanish villa and I really liked it. Every morning we went and had great coffee, tea, cappucino or espresso. There is a restaurant as well, we had a breakfast there one morning, it was sufficient, nothing spectacular but still nice. For the price in that area, it was good. Front desk staff very polite and helpful.

The hotel location is right at downtown Montreal. It was close to the metro station. The size of the room was a nice surprise and staff accommodated my requests. Everything was in a working condition inside the room. As for cleaning I would strongly recommend to schedule carpet shampoo inside the room in a nearest future. In addition, it would be a nice touch to offer a bath robe as well. Cafe on the main floor was nice. Overall, nice hotel with a great location.

The first night that I arrived in this hotel, the receptionist -his name was Peter-- was so unkind and stubborn that still, I cannot understand how callous, uncaring, stubborn and unkind someone can be!

They have no parking but recommend the one from Le Cartier ($22 per night), which is VERY bad attitude and said they are FULL. I asked any other suggestion and they only said They are not work for the Hotel and ask us to leave (no sorry). I understand that the hotel has no choice but they should able to do more research to help. However, we asked and they suggested another one and that one were closed. At the end we just drive around downtown is try to find any available. That is 10PM. basically, we only feel helpless at the late of the night. Also the hallway so noise, people yelling at hall and the staff banging the door... at night and early morning. BUT Overall beside this, everything is very good!!! ALSO, I made a mistake at the very beginning that book the hotel from "reservations.com" and PLEASE DON'T book it there because they have service charge and US Dollar!!!!!!

Staying here right now and extremely disappointed. The room temperature is 16C and the heat is turned off, front desk also confirm we can't get heat because of the system was turned off already. My wife is freezing and nothing can be done, they offer more blankets this is a joke ..... Lucky we are here only two nights. Room is ok for the price but too many extra furniture where you could bang your toes. There is no parking or Valet they direct you to other parking near by. I had to do two as one was already full. Only restaurant attach is only open for breakfast with very limited menu. The only positive is the coffee shop in front. I know the town so I am ok but people that are new to Montreal could get lost. I ask for a map of the underground city and the clerk at the front desk at the time had no clue of what I was talking about lucky a more experience clerk showed up and gave me one. This Hotel would be ok for warmer season, because right now the rooms are too cold.

The room was not cleaned, garbage on the floor cleaning bucket and supplies left in the room. I guess we were supposed to clean the room I guess? Clumps of hair left in the tub. Brought the bucket and cleaning supplies to the desk and explained the situation. Nothing was done, but thanks for bringing the bucket back. I can't believe i paid to stay in a dirty hotel room. Don't book here, save yourself the trouble and book at the Marriott.

It couldn't be closer or more convenient to McGill, and it was the least expensive hotel I found of any in the area. Big, clean room and great, unobtrusive service. The front desk associate was friendly and gave good advice on where to go for dinner.

We were traveling with with our two young girls and the location made it super easy to go around downtown area by foot with access to shopping, metro stations and all activities. The rooms were also very comfortable, clean and spacious. Highly recommended!

The trip to Montreal was my Birthday present, so everything was booked by my friend. I loved my short stay there. It was very clean and cozy, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. I loved the breakfast too; good quality and again super friendly people. The hotel was very close to the public transit and the museum of fine art that I was planned to go. Overall, I had a pleasant experience. Thank YOU!

Always greeted like family by Peter and Danny. Rooms clean and comfy. Miss the room service and valet for luggage help, but with Covid…..have many hospital trips to montreal general and this breaks up our trip nicely

We were given a good sized room with an entrance area with seats in between the bedroom and bathroom areas. The decoration was a little tired as were the bathroom fitments. Friendly and helpful staff on reception. The breakfast was a bit poor and we were simply given the breakfast of the day, which was either eggs, bacon and water melon or eggs, bacon and croissant. Some choice would have been nice.

Recently I had to make a last minute trip to Montreal. I'm not much of a solo traveller, so I was a bit overwhelmed. Booking at the Best Western was the best choice I could have made. The check in and check out process was very fast. There is a cafe attached with lots of options! Also, a breakfast area/restaurant. My luggage was lost, but I was directed to a little market store across the street, so I was able to get a few things! It worked out perfectly. The front desk was very helpful! They gave me fantastic recommendations and offered me help throughout my stay. My only negative thing would be the breakfast restaurant. I would I have liked for it to be open later, so I could go there for dinner, rather then having to walk at night or order in. Also, the breakfast served was pretty simple. For being open only for breakfast, I would expect much more for the menu or just better quality food. I absolutely loved my stay. The staff were so helpful and accommodating. A special thanks to Herby and Danny. The help they gave me and the kindness they showed, helped me feel not so overwhelmed and made my stay much more enjoyable. Because of the kindness and support of these two, I will definitely be choosing Best Western hotels more frequently.

The room is new very nice, clean, big. Nice tv with all the channels that you need. Good fast internet (Wi-Fi). Closed to everything. Many good restaurants around. I will recommend this hôtel. My favorite Bestwestern in Montreal for the location and the Nice room

The location of this hotel was great the purpose of my visit. It is very close to railway station (Centrale) and the US consulate (which was where I had business to attend to). The staff is friendly. The hotel interiors is old . The corridors in particular are dingy and dimly lit. The rooms are better. They seem to be renovated in the last 5-7 years. However the HVAC systems is ancient. My room was very warm and would not cool down despite putting the AC on coolest setting. That combined with the noise of traffic from the street (with windows closed) did not allow me to sleep. If I had to do it again, I would book one of the many other hotels in the area by paying $10/ $20 more per night.

Enjoyed our stay at BW when we travelled to Montréal to see the Casse-Noisette (Nut-Cracker) at Place des Arts. Welcome was warm and pleasant. Great location in the heart of Montreal. Public parking lot a few meters away is convenient.$22

The hotel location worked very well for us. Many restaurants and pubs were within walking distance. Only about 4 blocks away from Centre Bell which worked great as we were attending a concert. The hotel is older but very clean. We weren't spending much time in the hotel as we were out for most of the day and evenings. Other hotels were nearby which were newer or fancier but they were much more expensive. This hotel suited our needs.

If you are able to pay more for a room at another hotel, I suggest you do so. We regret our choice to stay here.. room was not clean (stains on walls, carpet and chair. Hair on the floor of our washroom. Blackout curtains are only a decoration and don't close. Windows arent sound proof and construction/traffic below will keep you up at night and wake you up at 7am). No parking on site as advertised. Pro: LUNA parking is 16$/day (24h), worth the walk if your hotel dosent have parking. Near the bell center.

We had the opportunity to stay at this Hotel in Oct 2021. Great hotel located in downtown Montreal. Friendly staff members, shout out to Rafik (GM) for making our stay a memorable one. Clean rooms and well worth it for price you spend. Highly recommend for anyone that's looking for a clean and conveniently located hotel that's well priced.

This is the worst place to stay in Montreal, the property charged my $920 for 4 nights and I did not receive any housekeeping at all in my entire stay. As soon I checked in they explicitly told me that I would receive housekeeping on 3rd day but it was all a lie, The room ran out of everything even shampoo and when I talked to the reception, they had no answers and they made me haul the towel and toiletries to my room. This is the worst hotel stay I ever had , It is a gratified and expensive Airbnb with the worst host ever. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here. If I could give them negative stars I would.

For the price and location this hotel option was extremely reasonable. Friendly staff. Parking was at another location. Our main aim was to explore Montreal on foot so did not stay in the hotel much. There was noise from our neighbours which was an issue on one night.

My wife and I were visiting Montreal for our anniversary. From the lobby to the elevator to the room, this place is filthy. The room smelled and the carpet was disgusting. We were booked for 4 nights and were advised on check in that there would be no in-room housekeeping during our entire stay. If we wanted fresh towels we would need to come to the front desk for them. The restaurant was closed. We left next morning as it was late evening when we arrived and booked into another hotel that was wonderful.

This is my second stay at the Best Western at the Ville-Marie in Montreal. Love the location. The suite we had was amazing. Big enough for small family for sure! The bathroom is huge with a jetted tub, so relaxing after a long day of walking. The service is quick and friendly. They have a nice cafe attached to the hotel with lots of options. Will definitely stay when back in the city.

The hotel and room itself were fine, but it is/was a very noisy area. Of course with Covid being such a situation now, I can't speak much on services because there really weren't any besides check in and check out.

A great hotel in Montreal Downtown. Staffs in the front are very nice and helpful. Room is not very big but very clean. We have a room close to elevator, I still can hear the noise of elevator during the night time. That is the only thing I am not very satisfied with. Beside of that, everything is good. Kids are happy to stay there. The location is very convenience and you can go a lot of places by walk and metro. We have a great trip.

I stayed with my family for two nights. I made the choice on this hotel based on location and price. It turned out great on both counts, but also in the very courteous staff and the hotel experience overall. Everything was clean and well-maintained. There was sanitizer around and the staff were good about respectfully asking COVID “anti-maskers” to don a mask before they could assist them further (much appreciated!).

This hotel has location as it's only plus. The rooms are disgusting for a Best Western. The bathrooms are even worse. They do not offer parking they refer you it a lot that has a valet who will not park SUV's or minivans. Front desk service was mediocre at best. The TV remote did not work, there was a hole in the sheets. Bathroom has extension cords mounted under the counter, the door has glass and offers no privacy. This is not a 3 star hotel, it would be a 2 star at best. Most disappointed with the Best Western, normally they are a great place to stay with family this is not the case at this location. Not worth the price I paid for 2 rooms which they could not even put on the same floor as requested let alone beside each other.

Let me start with check-in. The front desk person was polite but had nothing to offer. No parking no valet no wifi no rooms on same floor, only that he was sorry he could not do anything. The room was not well lit, windows were not replaced you could hear all traffic and the whole night we heard sounds from the other room. The carpet was super dortly with drink spill stains. To top it up a spider came and sat on my face. Front desk just apologize d couldn't do anything. We couldn't afford one proper hour of sleep. Our other couple friends couldn't either as their room was knocked by anon at 2 in night they could hear sounds and what not. Location is 5 min walk to McGill university and 10 min walk to mesuem of arts and that's it. You can't walk to old city. Anyway, my experience with bw has been dented nowm I generally prefer bw and I loved most of their properties but this was really sad and I may refrain to trust pictures they upload from now on. You have lost an advocate. I really want my money back on this one.i tried calling that day but your office is off on Sundays. I expected atleast a decent sleep that couldn't get. We had to drive long way back and it could have led to something stupid had we not switched drivers. Bw has disappointed me. And this property needs to be worked upon. Shady lifts, smelly corridors spiders in rooms what is it are we in a run down motel??

Absolutely rude front desk service! We requested early check-in at 12 to 1 PM at the time of booking, as we were travelling from Sherbrooke to Montreal. Once we reached the hotel, we came to know that the room that we booked was not ready (we paid a bit more for the big spacious room), but what we got was a small room near to the elevator. We asked about this, and the answer from the front desk guy was 'I am hearing the same story ten times a day'. Really!! Don't ever disrespect your fellow customers. We are asking what we paid for. There are 100s of hotels there, if you cannot provide the customers early check in, if they have requested, just respond to them on time. In this case, customers will look for other alternatives before the free cancellation ends. Don't respond during the check in. It is irresponsible. Horrible Wi-Fi connection, not even showing the availability of WiFi, disconnects every 2 minutes. Asked for two wine glasses in the front desk, not available. Requested for late check out, just an hour more until 1 PM . No consideration at all. Even big hotel giants like Marriott (even for non-members), have a courtesy to accept/respond to the requisition of early check-in and late check-out. only pros: Location of the hotel

No parking!!! The hotel across the street offered parking but was $24/night and if you left to go out shopping or sightseeing, you had to pay another $24 upon your return. The Best Western should cover a portion of the cost considering the cost of the hotel room.

Hotel was ok, but for being downtown in the middle of everything it seemed a little rundown. Maybe my expectations where a bit high but you can definitely find nicer hotels for the same price around the area. Most annoying was that they had no parking available. Had to park at a other hotel.

Worst experience I ever had. Some how my credit card was used for security for two rooms in our group. I was assured that everything was fine that the card only had an authorization and it would disappear in 48hrs. I paid before I left hotel but charges went through for the other party, because the other guests didn't pay in the end. I did finally get the money from the other person but instead of dealing with me and trying to sort what happened they dealt with the other person who before he paid me said “ I already paid her I'm not sure why she phoned you. “ Yes I did get my money back in the end, but you put a charge through my account for some other person and i had know idea about it. The hotel even threatened me when I went through my bank to get the charge reversed. They said I already had money my money back and would report me. Honestly when someone other than myself used my account it should have been me that threatened them. Sure I knew the guy but I never gave permission to the hotel to pay for his vacation. Booked this hotel for convenience of location to business meetings. Internet was great for full day online and zoom meetings. Quiet and clean, room also had a little ensuite, perfect place to set up work station. As this was during pandemic, fitness room, cafeteria were closed and all food needed to come from restaurants. Being new to Montreal, the front desk was happy to assist with local information and were well acquainted with best places for select dishes, as area is full of a variety of foods, within walkable distances. Service was excellent and staff was happy to oblige. All queries were handled respectfully and exceeded my expectations. Thank you! (Parking run by separate business across the street)

racist and white privilege was experienced during my stay. i wasn't given any warning that my guests were loud, i got a loud knock on the door, and was told that my guests should leave immediately because we were black. then she said she was going to call the police because we asked why didn't we get a warning. staff needs proper training, you don't threaten to call cops on black people especially knowing the times and how black people are getting killed by cops!!!!!

Love the hotel, beautifull room and close to everything. Would recommend it to everyone. Staff is really nice everything is within walking distance. Room very clean and well decorated. Restaurant was closed du to covid18, but looks nice and will try it next time.

We stayed here for our first trip to Montreal and didn't know a lot about the city prior to going. The Location is wonderful! The hotel itself is nothing special, however every staff member we encountered was exceptional! Peter checked us in and was very friendly and accommodating! I didn't get the names of the two staff members that helped us on August 21 when we ordered takeout late at night and it came without cutlery. They went above and beyond to help us find some cutlery so we weren't eating poutine with our hands! Stay here for fantastic staff and a great location!

Hotel is clean and the front staff are great and friendly. They also will provide great trip suggestions. The location is great, you can walk right to downtown. The room was spacious, not sure why they have a small ramp to the bathroom.

honestly thought the place was going to be a dump based on the lobby. I was surprised to see the rooms. Clean, spacious and bright. The night manager was pleasant and speedy with checking my family in.

The hotel does not seem to care at all about the COVID19 pandemic. They refused to cancel, or even change the date, of my reservation. I find it disappointing that they would put profits over lives, but I can't recommend this place.

We were planning to stay in early June, but canceled due to Covid-19 and the Canada quarantine on USA visitors. The fully paid reservation was non-refundable, but under the circumstances, we thought at least a house credit for our payment would be reasonable. They refused, but said if conditions persisted, they might reconsider. Conditions did not change, they haven't responded to my inquiries, and no accommodation has been made for our loss.

We booked a cruise into Montreal and paid $1200. in advance for 3 days at this hotel. Due to COVID-19 the trip was cancelled. We prepaid the hotel a year in advance knowing that it was not refundable. (If the circumstances were my fault I wont care about the refund.) COVID happened and was totally out of our control. We requested a refund from the Manager, SalemTohme. He said no. Explained the circumstances he didn't care. Said I could have a voucher but wouldnt give it to us to the end of 2021. Salem wouldn't permit it to be transferred to a relative. We spoke with BW customer service and they couldn't help. BEWARE - I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL - THEY OBVIOUSLY DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS ESPECIALLY SENIORS!!!! We emailed his manager and of course they never responded. BEWARE DON'T BOOK NON REFUNDABLE TO SAVE A DOLLAR - IN CRISIS THIS OUTFIT COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOU. FURTHER I DON'T BELIEVE ALL THEIR AMENITIES WERE OPEN FOR OUR TRIP DATE!

The manager was very nice, and the food was delicious, best breakfast I've ever had. The hotel gym was very nice also. It was in an area where you could walk to shopping, parks, anything you wanted. Some other friends of ours stayed there as well, at the same time, and we all had a great time. There was always someone available to give you directions or suggestions on what places to visit in Montreal, and how to get to your destination.

A stay was a bit affected by renovation work on the facade, it will be made soon. I would appreciate a bottle of water at the room. Though a wending machine is at basement floor. Acoustic isolation from a corridor can be better. People at reception were polite all the time. :-)

Aside from construction, which is only temporary, they started early on a Sunday morning. The hotel is always clean and staff are enjoyable! We always stay here when coming to MTL for a night! The Valets are super helpful at directions around the city!

This hotel is in a great location off Sherbrooke St. and near McGill & Concordia. Our room was spacious, quiet and clean. The attached cafe makes excellent coffee & bakery goods. Beds were comfortable. Elevators are fast. The valet parking is a great feature. My reason for only giving it 3 stars is that no matter what I did with the antique, dial-style (not electronic) thermostat, I could not get the room to cool down. It was hot and stuffy all night, so I got almost no sleep at all. The windows open, but only a crack, which didn't help. The hotel is undergoing some construction, so the open windows also made things noisy early in the morning. (To be fair, we didn't give the hotel a chance to fix this; we were only there 1 night and came home after midnight, and didn't want to deal with it so late at night.) I would go back if they updated their heating & cooling system, but not so sure otherwise.

We stayed at Best Western Ville-Marie Montreal Hotel one night before visiting McGill. The hotel is one block from the welcome center. The room was large and a great deal for the price we paid. Also close by are restaurants, the Metro, and Underground Montreal. We also greatly appreciated having valet parking for 25 CAD per day.

I arrived at this property very late in the evening on February 13. I was exhausted and hungry. I was told that room service was available. I decided that a meal at such a late hour was not in my best interest!! The room was small but very comfortable. There was a desk area and 2 arm chairs, and a small round coffee table. The bed and pillows were comfy. I personally found the room to be too warm. I couldn't open the window for a bit of air. I made do. The bathroom served its purpose. What I found kind of yuck was that there was a toiletry bottle under the sink area. I did not drop it there!! I was wondering if the bathroom had been cleaned after the last guest!?!?!? Breakfast was not included in my stay. I am pretty sure a breakfast buffet of some type was available in the restaurant for under $20. I found this property to be charming and quaint. I loved the location. There were a lot of eateries and shops within walking distance. Just not when you arrive late at night like I did. The gentleman at the Front Desk in the morning was very helpful with suggestions and directions. I would definitely stay at this property again.

Room was very loud, I found the bed to be very uncomfortable. I asked a late check out by 2 hours so I can check out after my meetings were done for the day, but they requested more money, it was mid week and the hotel was empty anyway. No one cared to ask about my experience. The coffee shop downstairs is excellent.

This hotel has decent sized rooms and bathroom. The room has coffee and tea making and a fridge. Everything was pleasantly clean. It is an easy walk to St Catherine Avenue. Breakfast was not included.

Good location, nice rooms... only downsides were that it was a bit noisy as our room was next to the elevator and there is no kettle in the room... only a coffee machine. I was sick so I needed a kettle to make my NeoCitran.

We were assigned a room on 19th floor. Hotel is nicely located for shopping on St. Catherine St. stores - lots of nearby restaurants and bars too wihin easy walking distance. Visiting the Old Port is a quick 10 minute drive. Staff very courteous and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable etc. but found it a bit on the small side compared to most hotels we have stayed at - that would be my only "complaint" regarding our recent stay there. - and a very minor one overall.

The Hotel is well located, the staff is courteous and friendly, and the environment is clean and appealing. The proximity to restaurants and shopping centres makes the hotel quite unique and inviting. It was indeed a rewarding experience in Montreal.

Stayed in room 504, which was a large room next to the lifts. Clean and no road noise at all as had double glazing. Very good downtown location to restaurants etc. air cond very quiet which is a bonus. Couldn't hear the lifts so not an issue. Only negative is this had an adjoining room which means you can hear your neighbors but ours weren't too bad.

Rafik and his team couldn't be nicer or more helpful. They provide courteous and professional service with a warm, personalized touch. Abdul ensures the food service is great. Everyone was keen to ensure that all of our needs were met, and all with a smile. We couldn't have asked for anything better for our professional development day at the Best Western Ville-Marie Hotel.

This hotel never disappoints! The location is perfect, the rooms are large and clean, and the staff are exceptionally caring and genuine. I take my annual trip to Montreal every year with my brother and father and we have stayed at a few different hotels over the years. This hotel is not only a great value for the price, but the staff have consistently gone out of their way to make us feel comfortable. This trip we had a chance to speak with the manager, who took the time to not only thank us for our patronage but also gave some inspiring words about family and the importance of making social connections both at home and at work. Mike the concierge was very helpful with getting us tickets for the Habs game and he always takes time to ask us about our stay as well. The staff is a big part of why we keep coming back, they make a personal connection that you just can't find anywhere else. Thank God for the concierges, Mike/Manuel & Abdulla; they were the only kind individuals at this property. Because the ongoing construction at this location, the worker's noise was a constant distraction to my stay; Construction work began at 7AM & the Mont Royal 20th floor conference room was noisy, all week. We were there for a week-long workshop with workers replacing panels on the exterior of the building. Also, one course candidate had workers outside her 4th floor window & saw her in a state of undress despite the very small windows. Workshop location had to be moved because of construction noise to a dimly lit, windowless room. Location did not place notices or apologize for the inconvenience of the construction; a usual consideration for guests.

Great location, valet parking was simple to use. In the heart of the city so easy to explore from to get to McGill U, shopping or Resturants Friendly front staff, clean, bright rooms and comfy beds. We shall return!

Wife and me in Montreal to see a hockey game, TML vs Canadiens, sadly the Canadiens won. That's not my review though. The BWVM is a nice quiet hotel. Nicely decorated lobby, check in. Polite friendly front desk personnel. Our room was on the the 15th floor. It was clean and spacious. Good value for the money for the most part. Here's the problem, the mattress on our bed was horrible. Soft and about 8 years passed it replacement due date.

Very well situated, comfortable and clean facilities! I had a pleasure of staying there for a week for a conference and I was impressed. The staff and the service were very professional. What really stood out is the great food and service at the restaurant. Abdullah, the manager of the food and drink service, has really provided an outstanding service. He goes out of his way to get whatever you need and is a great pleasure to deal with. He made me feel as if I was a guest in his home and that made my stay very pleasant and comfortable! Thank you!

Well located for sightseeing purposes, the room was standard and comfortable. The best service was from the Concierge. Not impressed with the bar service, returned at around 10 pm one evening to find the bar closing and no drinks of any sort being served.

This hotel was perfect for our three night stay in Montreal. Located right in the middle of the city common. Surrounded by wonderful sights to see and tour, and nice eating and drinking establishments. The staff was was courteous and help. Room with two queens, very clean and spacious.

Nice hotel in a great location. The room was clean. Just a few minutes away from lots of restaurants and the metro station. There is a cafe just outside the hotel which has great bagels and sandwiches.

I booked this property based on past experience with the brand, and this stay exceeded my expectations. The room was big and, considering the location right downtown, quiet after midnight. What I really appreciated was the in-room thermostat and the A/C/heater. Unlike the usual noisy units you can get in most hotel rooms, this one was exceptionally quiet. The building is solid concrete and there was little to no hallway noise, especially in my room which was at the end of a hallway with no adjoining walls to other rooms. The bed was as good as any in a five-star, super comfy. This hotel is at the foot of Mount Royal in the heart of the restaurant/entertainment/shopping district and a block from the Metro. Staff are terrific, the concierge is always there, and the adjoining Castel Cafe serves up excellent coffee and breakfast croissants (egg and chocolate were my favourites...) and lots of other grab-and-go options. Great value and super location. I would book this again for a wonderful stay in Montreal.

Room is clean , quick check in and Check out process , our family was just there for 1 night stay . Rooms are quite big for 2 queens. There is construction and the road is block off going the other way, but that is out of the hotel hands, not much they can do there. We stayed from a saturday to Sunday . we would defintely stay here again. Peter at the front desk was excellent and pleasure to deal with .

Stopped here while on an across Canada trip on 12th/13th September. We were on the 8th floor facing the office block across the road. The room was big, clean and comfortable with 2 queen beds, décor was old fashioned. The room worked well though I would comment on the rust on the radiator in the bathroom. Lighting levels were poor. We tried breakfast at Cafe Castel - accessed from the hotel lobby. There was construction directly outside the hotel but it didn't disturb us. The location is convenient in the downtown area, near shopping and businesses.

Our room was on the 16th floor of the hotel, so we had a fairly quiet location. The room was clean and comfortable, and a rather unique layout in an L-shape. There was a small area off to the side with 2 cushioned chairs and a small table, which provided a view from the only window - mostly of the streets in back of the hotel. We tried breakfast at both Le Parmigiano and Cafe Castel - both can be accessed from the hotel lobby. We preferred the cafe, because the food was great and the prices very reasonable. The breakfast buffet at Le Parmigiano was pricey, so we ordered a la carte from there, which was plenty to eat! It was slightly challenging finding where to park while unloading our luggage - due to the construction.

My girlfriends and I stayed 4 years ago and decided to book the hotel again because it's a fantastic location. They have rooms with 2 queen sized beds (perfect for sharing and not available at most other hotels). Rooms are spacious and very clean and the cafe out front has some delicious offerings. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Check in and out was easy and quick.

This hotel delivered on all fronts, central to all of Montreal's shops and restaurants. The room was spacious and clean and the hotel staff were supportive for all of our needs. We would return again if the opportunity presented.

I stayed two nights at a rate of $245 per night plus taxes and fees for a total of $292 per night. I would classify the room as basic accommodation so the rate was not really in line with the quality of the room. I had trouble even booking a room as vacancy was extremely low in Montreal on the days I stayed so guests were really being overcharged. The room smelled somewhat musty when I entered but since I really just used the room to sleep and shower, it didn't bother me that much. The front desk person that checked me in was amazing. Great service! There was no restaurant or lounge open at the time I checked in (around 9:30 pm). There was construction directly outside the hotel but it didn't disturb me although the taxi had to block all traffic behind to stop and let me out. And acceptable place to stay although nothing exceptional. The location is convenient in the downtown area, near shopping and businesses.

I have been bringing a cycling club to Montreal every year for several years. We use this hotel because of its central location on the Golden Mile beside McGill University. An easy walk to lots of restaurant choices (within 15 min). The room sizes are large which allows us to store 2 bikes in every room. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a bar in the lobby as well as a coffee shop - both popular with the 18 people in my cycling group.

All though this is not the fault of the hotel, we had difficulty getting to it. Our GPS kept trying to take us on a street that was fully under construction. Thankfully the concierge was able to guide us in when I called the hotel. The valet parking staff were exceptional as were the front desk staff. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you have asthma or perfume sensitivity. There was an air freshener in our room that was extremely strong, even when it was removed, the smell lingered all night. We weren't able to get another room, therefore I had a terrible night. Our friends room smelled of cigarette smoke, I'm not sure if it is a smoke free hotel or not, if it is, people are nor respecting the rules. We wonder if the air freshener was in our room for this very reason or not. There wasn't one in our friends room. Other than the staff, this was a disappointing experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is an exquisite hotel with a very "French" feel. Very beautiful hotel. The attached café is very quaint and the food is delicious. I did not attend the attached Italian Restaurant. The hotel has a fitness center which is very nice with an abundance of equipment. It is very clean. The rates are excellent and the staff are very nice. I wanted to commend Supervisor Peter for his professionalism and kindness. He was excellent during my check-in during registration and throughout my stay. He was helpful in my room assignment and ensuring that I had a comfortable stay. I really appreciated him. In addition, I would like to commend Concierge Mike for his assistance. He was so cheerful and pleasant! I really appreciated his helpfulness in my daily ventures throughout Montreal. He was extremely knowledgeable about the various sites and activities in the city! He also was helpful in arranging my transportation to the airport! He is such an asset to the hotel. I would very much recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Montreal!

Nothing special, but nothing bad. Room size was okay. Located in a neat area of old town. Lots of places to eat and drink within safe walking distance. Checked in late at night and the front desk staff weren't overly friendly.

Selected this hotel due to its proximity to McGill which was helpful as we were on college visits for our daughter. The room was amply sized for a family of four, however standing water was left in the mini fridge which we had to clean out before being to use the it. The worst piece of the stay was the construction of which there was no notice of before booking our stay. The construction was right outside of our room and started at 6 am even on the weekend. Jack-hammering and vehicles beeping when backing up kept us awake each morning. Paid over $700 USD which was a very high amount for 2 nights at a Best Western to begin with, but when you add the construction noise the price we paid was ridiculous. Asked the front desk for a reduction of the rate when we checked out due to the construction and was given the managers business card in response. Unacceptable response.

We stayed there in May 23-26 2019 for a tournment trip. The location is excellent and close to all venues in downtown montreal. The hotel facilties are 3 star level. The buffet food is average though .

The location is perfect.the rooms are spacious and clean. Not much more to ask for, or is there. Yes there is. The breakfast is not really special, rather go next door to the Cafe. So all good I thought but then I got pretty angry when the concierge who deals with the luggage asked for a second tip for taking our luggage in and out of a small room. I worked in this industry myself and this behaviour was just rude and not professional.

Cannot say enough about the staff here at this hotel! The front desk staff and concierge staff were so pleasant and helpful. Cannot fault this hotel for the construction in Montreal which is everywhere with numerous street closures which change daily we were told! Other hotels on this same street face the same problem as well. We reserved a superior room and were very pleased and happy with the room and services. TWe valet parked our car and never needed to use it until we left as the location of the hotel is excellent and convenient to Metro and many restaurants and bistros. Nice coffee shop right outside of hotel with great coffees and pastries!

First impressions were not good when faced with a plastic looking waterfall in reception. The ambience of the hotel is dark and grey, very old fashioned in a city of skyscrapers. The beds were comfortable although the carpet was filthy and I didn't want to walk in bare feet. The coffee making facility was unsatisfactory, no decaf coffee and the milk powder was hidden in with the sugar. They just didn't supply decaf coffee and certainly not proper milk. The one redeeming feature of the room was that bathroom has a pullout drying line. Reception were quite helpful but I would not stay there again

the hotel is very convenient and close to metro, malls and Mt Royal. The room decor is quite antique which is good for short stay in a cetral location. Staff is very helpful. Parking is quite confusing. After asking the reception, hotel is only service for valet parking.

The hotel staff were great but the whole city was ripped up and coned off. All roads surrounding the hotel were deeply in the throws of construction. This affected nearly the whole drive in from the U.S. to our whole touring experience around Montreal. We were meant to stay two nights and we left early! I have never considered doing this before, but it was THAT bad.

Clean and comfortable room ,good location , shopping and tourist areas nearby, stay enhanced by the valet parking attendant Mike, he was very helpful explaining where to go and what to do and when we left he directed us to go via 1000 island for a boat ride and lovely scenery and a relaxed drive to Kingston, then Toronto. His Manager should be very pleased to have such good employee on his staff .

I come to Montreal on a monthly basis and I choose this hotel over Marriott properties where I am Platinum as well because of this great location by McGill University. It central to a lot of places in downtown Montreal. The front desk staff in the morning are great and they very knowledgeable and personable. They know their regulars and you feel very welcome when you check in. Kudos to the morning front desk staff -Danny and Alessio for making all your guests feel welcome!! The coffee attached to the hotel has lovely food and has that European feel to it so try that out and the restaurant is a great place to grab a meal as well. The owners are a real nice couple who are always there and very personable adding to that personal touch of the hotel. I enjoy staying here and the rooms are great and just a great property to stay at. There is a lot of construction going on around Montréal and the hotel surroundings are impacted by this as well but its not that bad. Enjoy the beautiful city of Montreal!!

This was already my 4th stay in this hotel. As usual I was very satisfied. It's close to the Metro, the underground mall and Mont Royal. The room was clean and comfortable. Though there was major road work going on in front of the hotel, there was no inconvenience. However, if you come by car, there might be a problem. I will probably book this hotel again.

Excellnt location and frindly staff, esepcially Rania, Peter, Andy and MIke. The hotel has sapcious rtooms and a nice restaurant. Rania Tohme the sales manager is very effeicient and polite at all times. Peter at reception is excellent.

What a lovely hotel. Shame Montreal decided to do road works though. It didn't impact that much. A beautiful clean place to stay. We had a room on 15th floor. Huge and warm and comfortable. The bed was a queen size. There were 2. Bathroom was nice loved the wide bath with shower over. Only gripe was the toiletries provided. Very hard to squeeze out and not enough. Even though replenished daily. Lots of towels though. Also changed daily. Breakfast is a must. Nice and freshly cooked or the continental breakfast looked really tasty too. Try the cheese omelet not your normal type but really rather nice. The man who owns the restaurant is brilliant. Really remembers detail etc. He was there every morning and ensured a fantastic service. He's been to UK and Leighton buzzard which was funny as we live close by. We had a lovely conversation with him about Milton Keynes and London. The young lady who also serves breakfast was so helpful with our questions about where to go during our stay. The music at breakfast is so nice and relaxing. If they sold a cd of it I'd buy one. Tried the evening restaurant a few times but we preferred to eat out. I can't speak highly enough about the place. Perfect

Great location for a good price. Just a few blocks away from the main shopping area with plenty of restaurants nearby. Valet/concierge staff, especially Mike, was very helpful and patient with suggesting tourist/local attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

I was planning a stay in an air bnb in montreal BUT that person decided to cancel 20 minutes before arrival. I called the Best Western and they immediately got me a room set up (Danny was amazing) The location is AWESOME for shopping and valet is convenient. The hotel has a cafe and a restaurant which is super helpful as well. I would stay here again for sure. Thanks for the service!

we stay one night in the BW, front desk nice and helpful (free umbrella for the day), you can leave your all luggages at the concierge. Literally 5min walk from Mc Gill Univ. 20min walk from railway station. Good beds but bathroom could used some renovations (urine smell) and carpet could be changed. I booked a room with breakfast (via booking.com) and it didn't gave us access to the buffet breakfast, you will have one plate with eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausages : very basic. Because there is these two types of breakfast the manager is chasing customers and he is obsess with the way you are going to pay : not a nice way to start the day.

The Best Western Ville Marie is a boutique hotel located on Rue Sherbrooke. It is a gem of a property, close to the Metro, Underground and Museums. The rooms are tastefully decorated and are very quiet. There are only about 9 rooms on each floor. The staff is delightful and couldn't be more helpful. There is a Cafe and an Italian restaurant, Le Parmigiano, on premises. Both are great.

We stayed in the Best Western Ville-Marie while visiting Montreal. The hotel is in an ideal location for exploring the city; although it was approximately a 30 minute walk to the Notre-Dame Basilica. Restaurants, museums, and public transportation are within a few minutes walking distance. Our room was clear and our bed comfortable. Staff were kind and willing to help in any way. The cafe in the lobby served delicious coffee and breakfast items at a reasonable price. The only downside to this hotel is the fact that there is only valet parking and currently the sidewalk just outside of the entrance of the hotel is under construction making unloading challenging at times. Otherwise, we enjoyed our visit and would recommend the hotel to others visiting Montreal.

I organized an event there, as I have many time over the years, where we needed 60+ rooms and then conference facilities and meals for over 200. The manager Rafik and his staff are amazing to deal with. They provide excellent value and make sure every detail is attended too. Rooms are very nice, location is perfect, and the food is excellent. Have been going back for a number of events for our organization for nearly 15 years.

I was there for work, from may 28 to jun 02 and did not have much time to know the city. Goog location allowed me to know everything I wanted. Also, Mike concierge gave me amazing tips, helping me to save time and know lots of nice places from restaurants to stores and turists points. I wold like to go back with my family!!!!

Although the entrance of the hotel was unreachable by taxi or Grayline bus due to construction on PEEL St., this is a great hotel for location. Grayline tours will pick you up at this location, metro is within walking distance and close to the Barbie Expo. The concierge/valet staff were excellent. Coffee shop was attached and very good. The room and hotel were very clean. Highly recommend--call about the construction first.

This is a terrific hotel located near McGill. You'll find the Metro within a few hundred feet of the entrance. Staff is among the best I've ever seen - across the board, every person I encountered was terrific. The room was quiet, comfortable, and roomy. The shower/bath awesome. I didn't hear anyone around me; nighttime noise pretty much non-existent, though you should anticipate daytime noise as the area has a lot of construction. If driving, just pay the $25 valet charge and be happy. Streets in the area are going through major construction, and you'll quickly regret trying to drive around (trust me on this one...) This was a top-notch experience that could not have been better; the hotel compares favorably with chains such as Hilton and Marriott.

This BW property is nicely located for access to the many Festival venues, the Place des Arts, Mount Royal Park, Old Montreal, and the river. This Best Western is nicely appointed with an Old World feel.

i loved this hotel, specially the guys that take care city tour package. Mike, Manuel and Brahim. Excellent service. Also, the coffee shop downstairs. I did not like the Italian restaurant, the food is not good at all.

Stayed at hotel for 2 nights, part of a tour group. Room was was spacious and well appointed. As a tea drinking Brit, would have preferred a kettle rather that having to use the coffee machine. Major road works on the road outside, which seemed to start early on the Friday, but not so early on the Saturday. Staff were very friendly. Handy having a resturant in house, especially as first night it was raining very heavily. Also coffee house very good

We had a wonderful experience at Ville-Marie. Everyone was very attentive and professional with excellent customer service skills. Mike, Manuel, and Brahim, especially, made us feel welcomed and relaxed throughout our staying in Montreal. I recommend this hotel to everyone who is planning to visit this amazing city.

Only stayed here a few nights, but the rooms were impeccably clean and tidy. The bathtub was AMAZING. I would recommend it to anyone who asked. The location was perfect it was in the middle of everywhere and close to the shopping district.

The location is close enough it the metro to get easily to Old Montreal but I would recommend staying in Old Montreal. Close by is a Parc which takes you to a beautiful overlook. Located bliss yo college neighborhood.

stayed 4 nights. First the good points. Well located and convenient for lots of things. Also the staff were all unfailingly great, personable and profesional. The Hotel is surrounded by road construction and access is difficult - not really the hotel's fault. However it is a hotel sorely in need of a revamp - it looks tired, the bedroom corridors have a slight musty smell. The rooms are just OK but look dated. There are much better similar priced hotels nearby

The hotel is good but the restaurant in the hotel is great. Go see Abdalla the owner. He makes great Bloody Caesar's The food is great and you get lots of it!! We had dinner and the breakfast buffet along with drinks. Hard workers.

My experience at Best Western Ville-Marie was excellent, the staff was extremely welcoming and so accommodating, especially for such a large group. They were happy to help with extra bedding and cots. The room itself was spacious with a large and shower and toiletries. Further, the hotel was excellent in terms of location and we were able to easily park, walk to locations near by, and had a plethora of food options. Not to mention, I forgot an item at the hotel and they shipped it immediately to me (all the way in Massachusetts) free of charge!

From the outside this may not be an exciting hotel however its location and facilities are well worth considering. Our room was very comfortable and quite and we had a good nights sleep. The shower was good and the room very clean. Its location is excellent and there are a number of restaurants and bars closeby. The neighbourhood is very clean and safe and we would definitely stay again. The staff were also friendly !

I had a pretty nice room, with useful gym access, and good room service. The room was large enough to make me feel comfortable although it was a bit chilly (alas the overall temperatures were fairly low in the first place). Except that the on site restaurants were not exactly as exciting...

Recently stayed here during a short business trip Location is great for all downtown amenities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Full size pickup truck didn't fit into their parking however parking was available a little walk up the street for $15.00. Construction all around the hotel however all was quiet during the evening and had a comfortable night's sleep. Wifi is free however breakfast isn't included. buffet was ok.

Here on spring break with my husband and three teens and while it is not their fault, drove up to terrible construction surrounding the hotel. the staff was friendly enough, but a few mishaps related to cleanliness and a generally blah feeling all around led us to decamp for Quebec City a day early. The location is good and the staff was very very nice. Accommodating and friendly. But not enough for me to recommend or stay at this hotel again.

This is your typical Best Westen nestled in a little alley way in the heart of old Montreal . If you want the basics and comfort with everything at your finger tips this is the place . Especially in Summer . Check out parking rates in and around hotel . They can be expensive . I lived in Montreal for years so I know the area well . It's not one of the HIP Momtreal hotels but it's a great place to stay .

Had a great time at this hotel. Was attending a meeting. The location couldn't be better. Walked in to a nice lobby and lots of smiling faces. Check in was easy. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Check out took less than a minute. Will definitely stay here again.

The Best Western Ville-Marie is situated in a great location. It is located close to Mont Royal and McGill University, the underground metro rail, and shops/restaurants. The room was well presented and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The wi-fi was free and there is valet parking for an additional charge.

The hotel needs to check to make sure phone in the room works for safety purpose. The false fire alarm went on b/c someone used the emergency exit. I took my two young kids down to lobby thinking it may be a real fire, kids were crying and screaming thinking it was a real fire. The hotel need to address this problem as the staffs know this was not the first time. They need to put up signage to warn ppl not to use the exit unless it's emergency or it will trigger alarm. Instead the staff told us “things happen and it's out of their hands”.

I had never been to MTL in the middle of winter and typically we stay closer to old port but on a recommendation from a friend we booked the Best Western near McGill. Lets Start with the location. its conveniently located near shopping an restaurants. getting there was a bit tricky with traffic how ever the hotel offers Valet with in and out privileges for $25 per day. There is a small tax on this service but its worth it. check-in was fluid and the staff are very helpful and willing. Once we figured out the process it was great. the hotel is split with part being above the 15th floor to the pent house. I'm curious about the pent house... maybe another visit LOL. Rooms: Slightly updated with some of the original finish with some updates but nothing that jumps out as being absurd. the rooms are nice, clean and well organized. We loved the bed, bedding, pillows and had a wonderful couple of nights sleep. on the 18th floor it dose take a couple of minutes for the hot water to get there especially with its -30 out but its worth the wait for a great shower. Amenities: walking distance to lot of shopping and eating. we enjoyed the café in the hotel lobby for a cappuccino and croissant. The Cappuccino comes with insane foam art. 10 minute drive to the look out on Mount Royal and Getting around. you have the option of transit, driving or ride sharing services. It depends on your requirements. Cost, at $105 a night it was well worth it a the time of our stay.

I use this hotel since 12 years regularly. Over the years, it has improved its infrastructure and provides a constant value. However, it is not a top luxury accommodation, but it definitely matches the price you pay.

Have stayed here numerous times when having to go to the hospital and all staff are amazing. So much so that the two times out of so many i can't count that we stayed there where there was a concern they acted right away and showed us so much attention and even gave us a suite both times! Everyone from the vallet to the receptionist to the room service every one is amazing. I would recommend this hotel to EVERYONE!! I believe the name of the gentleman that helped us so much the last time is Fatih or Fatin but he was super amazing as is the rest of the staff!! Stay here when you come to Montreal and you won't be disappointed!!! Thank you to all who have turned this hotel into more of a second home although I stay because of having to go to the hospital I am always excited to come back home to the best western ville Marie!! With gratitude the ladies who always stay in 1806 :)!!!

Stranded in Montreal and was sent to this hotel. Wow! Treated exceptionally well, had an awesome room and received service above and beyond. So with a visit. The desk manager was one of the best. Would like to stay here again!

The location of the hotel in the center close to the underground mall is perfect the rooms are large...but older... the stuff is friendly and service good...parking only valet for 28$... Gym no towels and not really working equipment... Breakfast you can choose Restaurant or in-house Café...tried both and both OK...but I preferred the fresh made Cappuccino of the Café...

The location is very convenient if you're visiting for anything near McGill University. The hotel and rooms show their age. The doors are flimsy so if you're concerned about security, this may not be for you. There are basic amenities in rooms. The closet is literally a bi-fold door like the ones from my budget finished basement at home. The shower heads are crumby. It's not the worst hotel but I regret not going with other options. The bistro cafe looks nice but don't expect evening service. They close way too early. Went in two nights in a row (once after 9pm and once at 7:30pm) and both nights they were open but guy there told me they were closing, no service. Yet both times people were still sitting with laptops and plates of half eaten food. Are you closed or what? Was it me? Who closes and leaves the place open for hours afterwards? Anyway, the guy was very unapologetic. I'll never eat there now. I don't think I'll ever come back to this hotel. My money belongs in the hands of a hotel that values my business more. Good luck!

NO STAR. Please do not go to this tribble hotel. They are worst staff in the world. They don't care about anything exept money. Two weeks ago, we booked 2 room for me and my husband and one room for my mother and father. One weeks before travel to montral , my mother got sick and we cancelled our trip to Montreal. i called the hotel 100 times and told them the whole story but didn't care and they told me they won't cancell the hotel. Omg, i paid them 500$ for two rooms , how they can not see the others people emergency situations and don't care about anything except money. Even, I told them only charge me a penalty for 100$ and please give me the rest of money which you charged me but they told me No No No No. only money, we don't care anything except money. WHAT A SHAME.

Hotel Ville Marie located in downtown Montreal is an excellent hotel. Valet parking is cheaper than any parking lot nearby. Well worth using this service. Great front desk staff and concierge. Beautiful hotel, great cafe and restaurant. Rooms are big and ultra comfortable.

Don't stay here if you want to sleep. Stay here if you want to listen to a bunch of college drunks slam doors and scream and fight. I stayed here before and it wasn't a problem but the staff said tough luck that you couldn't sleep.

My parents had actually stayed here a couple of years ago at our son's graduation from McGill -- so it's really well situated. I needed a one night hotel stay in Montreal when working and visiting our daughter, and found the Best Western to be in a good location at the right price. I needed a place to work, and a place that was convenient,. BW fit all that. What didn't really work for me is that the hotel is old -- the rooms a bit tiny, and it was like a time warp visit. When downtown, I've stayed at other hotels (admittedly at a far more expansive rate), and the rooms were more generous, the decor more stylish, and the sense of a more premium contemporary experience. This was a flash back to the 1960s, hence my parents rather liked it, but it didn't tick my boxes. What was particularly annoying was the fact that the shower tap didn't really work properly. When turned to cold -- it was cold -- when turned to hot -- it was cold. It was lukewarm in the middle, and so I had a lukewarm shower. I've not had a lukewarm shower since a trip to a jungle lodge in Peru on the Amazon. When I mentioned it to the front desk, they kind of shrugged it off, and said they'd get maintenance to look at it. The location is great, and by no fault of the hotel, the street outside is completely dug up, but the hotel has done well to accommodate this issue. Would I go back? Probably not -- there are lots of alternatives in the price range, but admittedly, if I had to go back and be right smack in the middle of the McGill University campus, I might. I'd highly recommend it for my children's 80+ year old grandparents when our daughter graduates -- they probably would think it fine. That much being said, the beds are comfortable, the wi-fi is fast, but it seriously needs an update.

This hotel is situated at Peel and Sherbrook St. Peel St has good restaurants. You can walk down the street and find Saint Catherine St which is full of stores (good for those who enjoy shopping) The Hotel has a good wi-fi connection, is clean and attentive staff. Mind the five or six steps at the main entrance.

I was visiting Montreal from Toronto for a couple days with my boyfriend to tour the McGill university campus. We are ages 17 and 19. My boyfriend smokes marijuana, which he buys legally. We went out for dinner the second night we were there, and he smoked a joint outside far from the hotel. We come back to our room to find the door is locked so we went down to the front desk and ask or new Keyes. The man behind the desk informed us that we will be locked out of our room until we pay the $350 fee for smoking in the room. We explained that we did not smoke in the room. There was marijuana in the room which may have produced a slight smell, but in no way did we smoke in the room. The man at the desk assures us that we will be refunded if we explain the situation to the owner. So I payed the fee and we went back to our room. The next morning we go down to the lobby to talk to the owner. He in no way is open to listening to what we have to say. He said it doesn't matter if we smoked outside or in the room, one of our jackets may have smelled like marijuana therefore the smoking fee still applies. He then sent people up to check our room which was in perfect condition, then proceeded to kick us out. I believe my boyfriend and I were taken advantage of because of our age and because we are not from Quebec. This was a terrible experience which put a damper on our whole trip. I will not be visiting another Best Western any time in the near future.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We had two adjoining rooms for 6 people. Hotel itself was fine. Nice valets, clean hallways. Construction was extremely annoying to trying to park or load/unload vehicles. Many vehicles parked directly on the sidewalk causing problems. Our main problem is that this is a non-smoking hotel, which we respected the entire time. In fact, the valets and front desk must have seen us at least a dozen times going outside to have a cigarette. After we got home I realized they added two separate $345 charges to our stay. When we called up they said it was a smoking charge. However not once did any of us smoke in the rooms at all. We have no idea why they added a charge to our credit card without asking/talking/emailing us. Now we are in a battle to try to get them to remove the charge. Everything was good with this hotel until this disaster. We are not happy at all.

Best Western Ville-Marie Monteal has a fabulous location, in walking distance of museums, restaurants and shops. They have a GREAT coffee shop on site that makes good coffee and homemade snacks and breakfast fare. The mattress was awesome -- the best mattress I've ever slept on in a hotel. It felt like a Casper or Endy. Great pillows too.

The hotel is beautiful, nice staff. Wonderful and comfortable bed. Great amenities, but horrible corner. Construction makes you miss this wonderful jewel. Take your time look up. Don't miss this hotel, way worth it

I am here because I had to add an extra day to the front of my Montreal visit and the Bonaventure could not accommodate me because they are full with the conference I am attending. I'll move there tomorrow and will actually be paying less for a higher quality hotel. This one is pricey because of "dynamic pricing". By the time I booked they were already fairly full. The hotel is OK. The room I am in is clean and the bed is comfortable. I always object to paper and plastic cups but Best Western is not a luxury chain despite the luxury price they are charging me this time. The building is getting a little bit tired. There were stained floor tiles in some of the hallways and cracked tiles in at least one elevator. My first room, 1104, was right next to the elevator and one of the four elevators squeals when the doors open like it is scraping on something. I asked for a change and got 811. Smaller but much improved, it is as far away from the elevator as you can get and I actually have a view of a portion of Mount Royal rather than of an office building next-door. The staff almost makes it worthwhile staying here. They were pleasant, accommodating and efficient. The location is also good, just about 30 seconds from Saint Catherine's Street and all the shopping you could want. There are also lots of pub style restaurants in the vicinity and some high-end ones as well. I could stay here again but it won't be my first choice.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and was very disappointed. It used to be a SangriLa hotel years ago and seemed a good and well maintained property. The entire hotel seems worn out and poorly maintained. The staff are not overly friendly at the reception! The room was simply not made at all.

I walked over after the bed & breakfast i had booked closed down (but still showed up as available online through the business travel tool my company used due to a glitch). Oscar & Melanie at reception went above and beyond to get me a room on the spot. They were fully booked due to conference season but had a last minute cancellation. Clean comfortable rooms. Mattress was very firm so provided great back support. Great location next to McGill. Highly recommended

If you use this hotel, which is great in many ways - clean, well located, DON'T let the bell boys take your luggage. It really is a shame that they are unable to tell the difference between 304 and 403. We were part of a tour group and pay for this service within the price of our holiday - they managed to put the right room number and deliver one of our cases - but not the other. Then they had to go round every room in our tour group and all the neighbouring rooms on our floor until they finally manged to locate it. In the meantime we had managed to order and eat our evening meal in the bar. This was good. We couldn't use their restaurant because it had been booked out for the evening - but no-one came to eat in the hour and a half we were next to it.

We had two nights at this hotel. Even though we arrived very early our room was ready. It was a really large room with plenty of counter space for our stuff & two suitcases. The bed was comfortable. We even had a lovely little alcove with two big chairs for sitting with our coffee. Front desk staff and the bell men were very friendly & helpful. It's a great location for shopping. It was about a $15.00 taxi to Old Montréal though.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful, and they accommodate non French speaking guests. It is also conveniently located to McGill University, and many restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel.

Received absolutely amazing service at the Best Western on Peel Street. Both Danny and Jenny were superb and gave me and my family 5-star treatment. The room was impeccable as well. Next time we're back in Montreal we will definitely be back!

The room was very clean, the elevators fast and the staff were helpful and knowledgeable! I would say that the breakfast was overpriced, and the hot buffet was cold (though more food did come out as we were leaving). We were able to walk from the hotel to Old Montreal, it took about half an hour each way.

This hotel exceeded my expectations; very friendly staff; very clean rooms and excellent location. No problems at all; so happy with my stay that I would definitely stay there again. Stayed three nights and loved it.

We stayed one night here while in Montreal. Booked it late in the day, last minute. It was a gem! Clean, and super friendly staff. Parking could have been an issue without valet, due to toad construction. But we were taken care of. Thank you!!

Good location for walking and public transportation links. It is on a very busy intersection and lower floor rooms are quite troubled by traffic noise if you're at the front. Huge rooms with great storage space and very comfy beds. Bathroom is very small compared to the sleeping area. Nice coffee shop attached which did great breakfast rolls and best coffee we had on the whole trip. It's dry popular with the McGill students from the nearby campus.

Located along one of the main drags of Montreal the hotel offers a very central location. It's a 1980's style high rise building and not much to look at from the outside. The interior is pleasant enough but felt a bit dated and wasn't necessarily my personal taste. Most importantly staff were very friendly and check in was fast and very efficient. My room was one of the smaller ones on the floor but it was very adequately sized and well appointed and the decor was fresh and homely. The King sized bed was extremely comfortable with quality linen and as good as you would get at any 5 star hotel. A very pleasant surprise as I wasn't expecting this level of quality bedding at a Best Western. Fast complimentary WiFi. Bathroom was smallish with shower over the bath but functional and the usual amenities were provided. Unfortunately my shower was cold in the morning, which wasn't ideal but I completed the survey I was sent with my receipt and had a reply from the GM of the hotel the next morning apologizing for the inconvenience. These things can happen and it's good to see that management actually read these surveys and address any concerns. Can't ask for more. I recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a good value for money hotel in a central location in Montreal.

Stayed here while visiting my son at McGill University. Good location. Mediocre hotel with decent accommodations. I was never there except to sleep and shower so it did the job. Attached cafe in the corner was ok.

Quite a big hotel which was our home for three nights as part of a tour. The rooms were dated and in need of modernisation. The bed was quite uncomfortable with a bow in the mattress. I found the lifts to be slow and at times I had to wait some time for it to arrive especially when a large group had just arrived. The attached cafe and bar seemed to have odd opening and closing hours which didn't suit our needs. One annoying aspect was our key-cards; on two occasions we arrived back at the hotel to find we couldn't access our rooms as the keys were not working. We had to go back down to the lobby for them to recharge our cards. This happened twice, so not at all impressed.

overall the accommodation was average. The rooms very spacious,but I thought the carpets were very shabby and not too clean breakfast was average. The hotel breakfast staff on the first morning were very pleasant, but the second morning not so helpful. The tea and coffee was terrible so had to ask for a separate jug of water and teas bag.

Our tour company booked this hotel for our group, and quite to our surprise it was one of the nicest on our 5 city tour. The bellmen were efficient with our luggage, the rooms were comfortable and clean. Best of all the location is great. Also, they were very accomodating when our large group took over the bar area for our final night together!

Unimpressed with the service throughout. Cafe was overwhelmed by the arrival of a large group so took 30 minutes to make a flat coffee, toasted bagel and chocolate pastry. Coffee machine not working.... In a coffee shop?? Service in the bar was slow even though they were quiet. Very offhand. The room was clean but average though the bed was very comfortable. Key didn't work on return the same day.

The hotel was well located for exploring Montreal, but the decor was rather dated. Rooms were comfortable enough and staff quite courteous. Bar area was not very inviting - needs updating. More or less what you would expect from Best Western

This hotel is in a great location to start, the staff are very friendly and the beds are comfortable. Other than that, you're getting a dated Best Western experience. I booked late and during a long weekend so there were limited options in the area. The only parking option is valet and is $25/day. The valet service is good, if you tip well. The lobby of the hotel feels dated but there is a nice cafe attached. The elevators are not for the claustrophobic. There are 3 and one is of normal size. If you put 4 regular sized humans in one of the smaller, you will get to know the other people pretty quickly. The double queen room I had was typical but the bathroom was very cramped and their choice for a bathroom door was very strange. 5 frosted glass panels in the door made for an awkward experience for both the user and anyone else in the room. The cleaning staff were spotty at best. Not refreshing certain items, e.g. no face cloths some days, garbage not emptied. The power outlets between the beds did not work for charging electronics and I don't think the floors were vacuumed the entire stay. Overall, the hotel got the job done. If it wasn't in the location it is, I would not pay the rate they charge.

Hotel is well situated as close to Peel subway for visiting local sites and St Catherine St for shopping ! Hotel rooms are fairly large with usual amenities including fridge. Staff friendly and helpful. There is a good coffee shop on site - did not get around to using the on site restaurant. Lowish rating is due to original room allocation - room 315, as we found on the first night of attempting sleep, is next to noisy extractor / ventilation and with pipework seemingly behind our wall even bed seemed to vibrate ! (is it because we used booking.com - don't know ?) We were relocated to a room on 12th floor for second night and enjoyed a good nights rest.

The hotel is wonderful in all respects. Great staff and location. Just a short walk to the main shopping area of Montreal, and to a Metro Station for quick and easy access to other points of interest, such as, the Old Port (including Notre Dame Basilica), The Botanical Gardens, The Atwater Market. Our favorite restaurant in Montreal was L'USINE DE SPAGHETTI Du VIEUX-MONTREAL. We visited mid August and the weather was perfect. We took the train to Quebec City and stayed three nights at the Hotel Claredon. (Booked the smallest room for price - the location and quality of accomodations is excellent!) Did a five hour "Country Side" bus tour with Old Quebec Tours - very good idea! Be sure to do the guided tour of the Parliament Building. Our favorite restaurant in Old Quebec was Buffet de L'Antiquaire. We returned to Montreal for three more nights at the Ville-Marie. Our bellman Mike stopped by the best bagel shop in town on his way to work to bring us bagels for our trip back to New Orleans. We are well seasoned travelers. We HIGHLY recommend a ten day visit to Montreal and Quebec!

Great hotel, great location, very clean and quiet. But the true gem of the hotel was Mike, the gentleman who handled our bags, called our taxis, made recommendations for tours, restaurants, etc. A true professional. He made our stay Great!

I booked in to the Ville Marie and I had such a great experience. The Desk Clerk Jenny was so pleasant and accommodating and right away I knew I had made the correct choice of Hotel. The Hotel is in the heart of Downtown and a great location in Montreal. The room I was given at first was not really what I expected and one phone call changed it all. I had a room with a Mountain View and it was spectacular and I felt so comfortable and cozy I was very happy. The room and the bathroom were clean and really taken care of, sheets were changed every day and so soft and fresh. The Staff at the Hotel made our stay a delight and thanks to Mike who helped us with directions and recommendations to places we wished to visit. I highly recommend this Hotel and you will not be dissapointed.

Located downtown so very convenient. Also next to McGill university. Lots of shopping around and restaurants too. Rooms are clean with the usual amenities - ticked all the boxes of a good hotel. Even had connecting rooms.

We booked this hotel as we had 3 adults and it had a reasonable rate compared to surrounding hotels. I researched the hotel using trip advisor and it rated pretty well. The hotel is on a corner on Peel street and close to McGill university. The hotel is good not exceptional however the service is extra good, clear and concise. The bag / car / tour guys are very helpful. Our room was on 16th floor and looks like it has been renovated. Good size and the beds were comfortable and the shower hot. There was a bit of noise from the hallway especially the doors closing and one person saying sush a lot. Only negative. Valet parking is $25 with unlimited in and out per day. There is a cafe and restaurant on the ground floor. We used the cafe and it was quite good. All in all a great choice and it met our needs.

Good sized room, appeared to be recently redecorated. Great location, close walking distance to many restaurants or venues. Free Wifi. The only concern I had was I could hear noise in the hallway, but this could be due to the bed being situated close to the hallway. I did not use the restaurants at the Hotel so I cannot comment on those.

This hotel needs a way better customer service. The man at the front desk who was working on the Saturday July 28 between 4-5pm when we checked-in was completely incompetent and could careless about making our experience better. we didn't have a credit card so we had to take out cash we were short of 1$ and a couple of cents, he forced my partner to go get more change. At this point we were so frustrated with the service, because the lady working at the front with him , had told us if we cancelled with booking.com we could have the

Our room was large, and like the rest of the hotel, it looked as if it had been recently decorated. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and all the ones we came across could speak English (although French is the main language in Montreal and quite a few people don't speak English). Despite exceptionally high temperatures outside the air-con unit was very quiet and efficient keeping the room at 20 degC on its lower setting. The sink and shower were supplied with instant hot water. The outside of the hotel looks a bit "tired" in comparison with many buildings but inside it is fresh and welcoming. The nearest metro (Peel) is only a block away and there is a wide range of good restaurants within walking distance.

Old hotel in a good location. Room was very simple, very plain, no kettle nor mini bar in room. Room was fairly large and clean, wifi was good until the last day of my stay. OK service. Good location, close to subway Station, tons of cafes,restaurants, shops around. But I couldn't find any convinient store/grocery store nearby. Its a bit pricey for what it's worth, parking is 25/day for hotel guests since it's 18 across the street.

So we stayed in this hotel last June on our way through Montreal last year. It was a little shabby and the staff was not terrific but it was fine for what we needed. This June, my sons were travelling up to Northern Ontario to work at a Canoe trip camp with children and gave themselves an extra day so they could see Montreal. As a gift, I offered to get them a room at this hotel. I found out the day that they were to arrive in Montreal that there was a delay with the Canadian government with their working papers and they would be delayed crossing. I immediately called the hotel to explain the circumstances, knowing as a prior customer they would understand and provide a refund. They refused and said it was because I booked through a travel site. I called the travel site, who called the hotel and the hotel again refused to provide a refund. I sent an email to Best Western to explain what had happened so they sent a claim to the hotel asking to assist us. I then got an email from the manager that, and I quote "it's not our problem you couldn't cross the border, it's yours" I was dumbfounded, I have never experienced poor customer service like that. Its bad enough that the hotel is a little seedy but to have that type of customer service, it is the worst. Luckily, there are plenty of other well appointed, customer friendly hotels in Montreal. Shame on you.

OK, the hotel room was nice, the elevators kind of funky and the location required you to travel everywhere. Unless you are going to McGill, then it is perfect. The restaurants nearby were kind of mediocre. Service was excellent. Free internet.

I loved the location of the hotel. The rooms were very nice. What I found problematic was the service. From the restaurant workers to the front desk, to the concierge - the staff appeared indifferent and downright unpleasant and unfriendly and most certainly unhelpful. As a single, older woman who doesn't speak French, I felt that I was not welcome there. Too bad - it could have been fantastic!

The hotel was nice, and in a good location. The concierge and front desk was helpful also. Our room was fine, except that we had a couple of stains on the carpet in our room that probably could have been cleaned fairly easily.

The hotel staff at this location are fantastic, especially Brahim and Mike who went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful vacation. They were knowledgeable of all the landmarks and festivals going on and helped us route out stops to get the full Montreal experience. They recommended fantastic restaurants and greeted us so warmly every time we entered the hotel. The Hotel was very nice. Concierge services provided by Mike were great!!! He gave us direction to all the site seeing places in Montreal.. Decided to see the Jazz festival after a few years of not coming to Montréal! Hotels were booking at a faster rate than I expected, so I decided to make reservations! Nice & clean and comfortable! Good location, within walking distance to st Catherine street and restaurants and shopping! Checking in was a breeze with the help from Rita at the front desk! Very pleasant and friendly which made it very easy! Will stay here again when I come back!

This has become my go to place in Montreal and I always recommend it to friends and family. This time around I had multiple rooms booked with different arrival and departure dates from people around the world. The staff was excellent as always, kept track of all my bookings and were very helpful with baby beds etc... It is a safe location but walking distance to the heart of everything and the valet service is very convenient. In the middle of a 37 degree heat wave it was always fresh and cool in our rooms. I never regret staying there.

This hotel is in a fabulous location. I refer to it as a boutique hotel as it is quiet, beautiful, and in the middle of everything. The staff is wonderful, happy to please always. The new restaurant opening while I was there, La Parmigiano and it was delicious with excellent presentation. The rooms are lovely and couldn't be more comfortable. Can't miss this place.

The hotel was easy to find and was amazingly clean and tidy. The staff are very helpful and polite. The room was very neat and the bathroom spotless. Good all round. The area is great for shopping and dining too. Would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is just OK. The Bellman are very friendly. The front staff is also friendly. I put the do not disturb sign on my door, and they still entered my room. I had originally left a tip, but when they can't read I picked up my tip and took it with me.

I met the nicest people at this Best Western. The staff here are incredible! We were in town for a short visit, Oscar & Peter went out of their way to tell us places to see, places to eat... we had wonderful conversations, shared stories and lots of laughs. The concierge was so helpful, calling for cabs, helping us out as it rained every day. The room was immaculate, modern, super comfortable bed. Everyone at Best Western made my first trip to Montreal a truly lovely experience. Thank you. Cheers

Spent 2 nights in this great hotel centrally located to art museums, subway, restaurants. Easy to get around from here. Rooms were clean and modern. Bed very comfortable. Neighborhood is safe and bustling. Breakfast and lunch venue in lobby. Very good. I would stay here again if I visit Montreal again.

We were welcomed warmly at the desk in a lovely lobby and the concierge on duty(June2) was so helpful and enthusiastic while loading our luggage etc. on the cart and then up to our room . We were very comfortable in our 17th floor spacious and clean room with a view of Mount Royal. We would recommend this hotel and will certainly be back to stay on our next trip to Montreal. We arrived late and cold and wet. Everything at Best Western Ville-Marie went beautifully. We had great food in the cafe, comfy beds and pillows, a good view, and great service. There were 19 in our group and we were thrilled with the lobby and adjoining area. Lovely location. We left happy.

On our 4th night of our Grand Tour of Canada and Alaska, we spent the night at the Best Western Ville-Marie hotel. The staff were very helpful and told us where to find good restaurants. We ate at the Churchill Pub, good food keenly priced. The following morning we walked to Old Montreal and spent a pleasant couple of hours exploring. Then it was off to the airport for a flight to Calgary, Rockies here we come

Reasonably priced and staffed by friendly people. Right near McGill and the Metro on the edge of everything. Had a quiet room that looked at Mont Royal and the campus. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is very conveniently located next to McGill University and the Fine Arts Museum and also has loads of bars and restaurants in easy walking distance. A cafe attached to the hotel is good for breakfast though we never went to the restaurant. Room was fine but nothing special.

The hotel is very central, close to shops, and restaurants. Definitely met expectations for the price we were paying and Oscar at the front desk was great!! Very helpful and showed us places to check out.

Our check-in was great - the front desk is very welcoming and multilingual. The issues arise after you check in. My card had to be re-activated numerous times, even though I never kept it near my wallet or cell phone. My colleagues encountered the same issue. The front desk staff was very accommodating and would issue a new card immediately, but it was still an inconvenience, especially late at night. I kept the 'do not disturb' sign on my door while I was there and the cleaning staff still knocked, insisted on coming in, and I had to essentially yell through the door while I was trying to take an afternoon nap. If the sign is up, that literally means that you do not disturb that door! I then was stepping out and the cleaning lady tried to get into my room, even though the sign was still on the door. Unlike other Canadian hotels, they have a habit of replacing towels that have barely been used and are not left on the floor, so I didn't want her in there yet. It was upsetting to have to fight with her about not entering my room. I was trying to take a nap and the interruptions made it nearly impossible. The walls are also quite thin, so I woke up, startled, whenever a door slammed shut and my bed moved slightly as a result. I'm a pregnant woman and need to take brief naps during the day between conference meetings, but I was lucky if I could get a solid half hour in at any time. The gym facilities, while spacious, offer no option for cleaning down the equipment. It's not clear how often the gym is cleaned, but there was no way I could wipe down any of the machines. Finally, be aware that room service ends at 10pm. If you're looking for a late-night snack, you either need to go outside and find a restaurant in the city or order delivery to your room. There's essentially no security in this hotel, so the delivery person can go straight to your door - I did this multiple times. The location is fantastic, as you're right in the heart of downtown Montreal. Montreal is a wonderful city, but you're better off staying at another hotel.

We hosted a professional event here recently and every single person we came in to contact with was incredibly helpful! The staff is so nice and was so well prepared. We can't recommend this enough!!!

The hotel was in a great location. Easy to walk to the underground shops and dining. It was a classic/traditional hotel. Comfy and clean overall. The elevators were small. Loved the little coffee shop attached to the hotel.

So much to say but only word needed: amazing! We held a two day conference with a group of 35 which all the guests stayed at the hotel as well. We had a two floor conference room which was quite spacious with amazing view. The coffee break and lunch were very good and always prep perfectly on time. They keep making sure we don't run out of coffee, water, cups, fruits, etc. We forgot our hdmi cable for the projector and we just had to contact the manager Mr. Zikry, and someone shows up right away. I was very relief with the support of the manager and the staff as well whenever we needed something. The guests were happy with their rooms. They accommodated the guest requests very well. I cannot pinpoint any bad points since there isn't any! From the reservation to the day of the events went very smoothly and perfect.

We recently held an two-day education symposium with 140 people in the hotel's Grand Salon and were delighted with the support and accommodations made by Mr. Zikry, the manager, Mr. Abdullah, the food and beverage manager, and the hotel and wait staff. Lunch was served as part of our conference package, and the hotel staff accommodated food allergies and special requests very well. The food was fresh and plentiful on the buffet. Everyone was attentive to our needs, no matter what the request. We could not have asked for better service. Challenges were anticipated and dealt with in order to have a smooth beginning to our event. (The usual parking facility was under repair and accommodations were made nearby. Everyone was notified and arrival was smooth on the first day.) The only "ick" for a large group is a pillar in the middle of the Grand Salon. But we were accommodated by two screens and two synchronized projects, so that everyone could see the front screens, although not everyone could see the speaker all of the time. The speaker moved across the front of the room with a cordless mic as she was speaking. With the small group work at intervals, the pillar became irrelevant. The symposium participants who stayed in the hotel were also pleased with their accommodations. All in all an excellent experience! Thank you! I have since recommended this facility to others.

Me and my wife spent one night at the hotel and loved the experience. The location is perfect, in the middle of downtown, but what really stood out was the service! The staff members always made us feel welcome and at our service. The room was clean and the bed very comfy. The Best Western Ville Marie is now a top choice for us, whenever we will need to come back to downtown Montreal!

I have been chosing Best Western for years for my accomodations and needless to say, this one is my all time favorite. Great rooms, AMAZING service all around, just a wonderful experience! I strongly recommend everyone to choose this hotel if they are looking for a place in the middle of the action of downtown Montreal with impeccable service. Will certainly come back!

I spent the weekend in Montreal and stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The location is in great proximity to many sites, restaurants, shopping. I was impressed from the minute I arrived - greeted outside, friendly and accommodating desk staff Oscar and Peter. The room was in very good repair and very clean. There is a really nice cafe in the hotel too. On my second night I had a noisy bunch in the next room and the security dealt with it quickly. If I have one complaint it was that the hot water in the shower was slow to come on (ran the water about 5 minutes before it warmed up). I will stay here again for sure!!

We stayed here on the 5th floor (505). The room had 2 double beds and was surprisingly a good size. Room was clean and has been updated in the last few years by the looks of the bathroom. Hotel offers valet parking for 27 dollars, this is only good until checkout, but you can pay for additional parking for 15 dollars which is good until 7pm. Overall a good downtown hotel and you really cannot beat the price compared to others.

We stayed for four nights while visiting family. This was a well-located hotel, handy to the train station and the downtown sights. The room was large, with a living room and a bedroom (no door separating them). I found having the bathroom door right next to the bed a little inconvenient. There was a TV in the living room and the bedroom. Amenities were good. There was a small fridge where we could keep a few things for breakfast. A greater range of teas and coffee for the coffee maker would have been nice, as would a table to eat at. The cafe just off the lobby was a good place for breakfast or lunch. The seating area in the lobby is somewhat oddly located behind the check-in desk, but it was a comfortable place to wait when meeting someone. We enjoyed our stay here. It was comfortable and economical.

I hosted an event at this hotel. The entire process, from booking it and menu selection, to checking out was superb. When we arrived, there were absolutely no issues with anyone checking in. Reservations were perfectly executed, and the check-in process was pleasant. The front desk staff were eager to help with directions, even looking up the closing hours of nearby stores so that I did not waste my time with a fruitless walk. At every request, they went overboard to meet our needs. The room we used for our event was set up perfectly, snacks were delivered so efficiently that we hardly noticed they had "appeared" on the tables. All audio/visual needs were accurately accommodated, the the food was both great in quality and taste. The hotel General Manager Rafik Zikry even stopped in at lunch to make sure everything was perfect. Our final morning, he met us at the front desk, thanked us for our visit and letting his staff serve us, and even invited us to share a latte with him in the cafe. Everything was clean and professional, from the lobby and elevators to the meeting spaces, rooms, and restaurants. The location is convenient to the Metro and McGill University. The customer service at the Ville-Marie was superb, and I will not use any other hotel in Montreal moving forward. I will be back.

We recently stayed at this hotel for four nights. The hotel itself was clean and well decorated. Our room was on the 12th floor, with two queen beds. The room has a small fridge and a single brew coffee pot (NOT a Keruig). My only complaint was the quality of the beds (and while I realize this is subjective to the sleeper); while the linens seemed fresh and clean, the mattress was very soft, to the point of sagging in the middle. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant, but we did stop several times in the cafe attached to the front of the building. The coffees, pastries and sandwiches were delicious, fairly priced and fresh. Parking was $25 a night, and breakfast was not included unless you include it in your reservation. I can not say enough about the wonderful valet staff, especially Mike, who offered us solid recommendations on restaurants and places to visit. He went out of his way to call to confirm times and offered to help with reservations if needed.

One of the most economical places to stay in downtown Montreal, it has all the amenities a very good restaurant, clean comfortable rooms and walking distance from downtown. I recommend it for the shhort stay business traveller.

The staff are nice and friendly, the rooms are nice, everything around ( downtown, McGill, Concordia, mont royal, subway etc ) within walking distance. Breakfast is standard and tends to get boring if one is staying long but the staff there too are extremely friendly. Overall a good budget property

We stayed 3 nights at the Best Western Ville-Marie and were very satisfied. It is centrally located and only a few minutes walk to the Bell Centre and numerous restaurants, shopping and eating establishments.

This was my first trip to Montreal. I was extremely impressed by this hotel. Amazing location, super friendly staff and cleanest rooms I have ever seen in a hotel. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend coming here.

I've been here some 30 years ago and did not like the rooms... too small. However, this is my first visit since then and WHAT a difference. This BW seems brand new. I was upgraded to Double Suite. Great large room. Love everything except: 1) Opaque glass door to the bathroom.... awful decision. I would hate to have a daughter as you can see the silhouette of anyone in the bathroom. Also during the night the light would awake you as it shine in your eyes as my face was facing the door. 2) should have a microwave and a breakfast like all the US BW. 3) Valet parking prevented me access to my van anytime I wish without having to go through the valet service. Despite these negative issues, I will not hesitate going back to this BW. - Excellent service. - Very clean - The Hot/cold air-condition was just a low hum and being in the living-room, did not blow the air straight at you in the bed like so many hotels. - 2 blocks from the excellent metro, 3 to St Catherine street - Near many good restos, the Musee des Beaux-Arts and the entrance to the Les Cours Mont-Royal shoppingcentre with its long underground concourse leading to many big stores like Simons,,. I highly recommend this BW.

We booked 2 rooms (2 Queen beds in each room) and I wrote to the hotel manager to give us connecting rooms if at all possible. He was kind enough to reply to us with positive news. Thank you again. Check was quick and easy and done efficiently. On arrival the hotel served us a welcome fruit plate which was a really nice gesture. Thank you again. We booked the room with parking included. On arrival we noted that parking was Valet parking. That was great but we had an issue with one of the valets. He was not friendly and made it know to us that he needed to be tipped each time by showing us the palm of his hand. All other valets were professional especially one valet, sorry don't know his name but he was bald. Really nice guy, Both rooms had 2 Queen beds. The rooms are large with lots of space. We did not have breakfast in the hotel but did use the cafe attached to the hotel. I was quite disappointed with the gym. In the hotel pictures online I noted free weights but when I went to use the gym, there were no free weights at all just some machines Overall I would recommend this property as we did have an overall pleasant experience except for the one valet.

Our check-in was perfect I dealt with A gentleman named Peter he was very professional courteous and absolutely amazing to deal with I I totally recommend this hotel to anyone, this is the pride of Montreal when you talk to this hotel they're perfect perfect perfect this is what hotel should be like when you stay anywhere. The hotel is very clean. Room was great, king size bed was super comfortable, and bathtub/shower is quite large and deep. Service was excellent from the front desk. Unfortunately the location is a bit far from the port/old town and a lot of the great restaurants but we just used Uber the whole time. If it were summer we would have walked without an issue though.

Great value for the money i paid. Very accessible location to see most Montreal's attraction. Whether you choose to climb on Mont-Royal or visit Musée des beaux-arts - everything is at your finger tip.

Generally very clean and nice, but the highlight was definitely the helpful staff. In particular, Mike the bellman, was extremely helpful in helping to arrange the best and cheapest way to the airport as we were leaving. Thanks Mike!

Love this location it was within walking distance to the shopping district. My room was awesome. Very spacious, clean and lots of towels just the way I like it. My room also had a jacuzzi and a stand up shower.

No complaints at all. Room was very clean and comfortable. Conveniently located at the edge of the downtown area. The do have valet parking, but NOT for regular pick up trucks. I had to find street parking, but the guy running the Valet parking helped me secure a spot on the street across from the hotel. Bonus! I would stay here again....

The room was excellent, the service was excellent and the stay was excellent. We had a 4:00pm wedding to attend on Saturday afternoon and with a 3:00 check-in time, we figured we might not have enough time to dress etc. I called the front desk and spoke with Danny who was amazing. He did everything in his power to get us an early check-in. He made the room available from before 1:00pm which was a huge relief and obviously gave us enough time to get ready without any stress. Thank you Danny - keep up the great work - you have an amazing team!!

First time staying at this Hotel. Personnel is friendly, the room was comfortable (king size bed) and the price was right! It is an older building. The restaurant inside the hotel served a fantastic breakfast! I had forgotten my phone charger and contacted the hotel. Someone got back to me quickly with the news that they had found it and asked for my address. Wow - that was unexpected. I received my charger in no time and in good condition. I really like the extra step that these people took. If you are heading to Montreal and need a hotel serving the downtown area, give them a call. Bus right at door and close to metro and lots of shopping. They have valet parking, but we just parked outside.

Very loud. Paper thin walls. Heard every vivid detail of a floor-wide party - yelling all night, heard our teenage neighbor vomiting all night as if it were in our own room, constant noise and disturbance from 3:30-10:30 am when we had to just leave.

Fantastic location in downtown. Helpful staff. Average room but in need of either upgrade or serious maintenance. Little things; phone didn't work, bathroom floor tile needed cleaning - stuff like that.

We decided to stay here due to its convenient location to the metro and the shopping area. There is valet parking, but we just left the car parked there during our stay and took the bus and metro everywhere. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel. When we picked up the car at check out, the valet staff was very friendly and helpful even though it was -30C outside. The room itself was clean. The walls were a bit thin as we could hear when the neighbours sneezed or coughed loudly through the walls. Other than that, we had a good sleep.

I usually stay at the Europa because it's cheaper. I was glad to test this one out on points, the location is better than Europa because there is more choice for restaurants and indoor shopping within 5 minutes. Note it was -25 Celsuis outside so that was important! I liked that they have valet parking as well.

Great location. 19 floors but not many rooms on each. Quiet, clean and modern. Valet parking worked great. Had a quick bite in the Lebanese restaurant off the lobby and it was quite good. Two block walk to Metro and Ste. Catherine St. shopping. Will certain be back.

I realized that I forgot my passport 9 hrs before the flight, and it was 1am. I walked to the lobby and asked for help see if the locals would have any solutions. The lady (Elizabeth) was so patient and went through every method tried to get my passport in Kingston (which is 6 and half hr ride for a round trip). She looked up all the busses and trains available, even called her friend asked for help. I cannot appreciate more. She didn't forget to calm me down. At the end it all worked out and I didn't have to go on a 6-hr trip for $500 at 2 in the morning (or staying at the airport for another 24hrs and pay $1500 extra for changing the flight). I wouldn't be able to do it without her assistant. She is a Christmas miracle. The overall service at the hotel is great, and there are many amazing restaurants within walking distance. The lady also told me there's an airport shuttle bus really close to the hotel.

This hotel ended up being a great choice for our weekend stay in Montreal. Great location and a few dollars cheaper than comparable coupons. Valet parking is 25 dollars a night. We had room 1602, which is huge and quiet. Might not hurt to ask if it's available. BTW: The agent at check in was really friendly. I think her name was Elizabeth.

We had a professionnal event in this hotel on November 23rd. This hotel is well located and clean. The rooms are spacious and beautifull. The meeting rooms and banquet hall are very good for business events. The staff are friendly and eager to help. Thanks to their help and recommandations our event was a real success! The General Manager of the hotel _Rafik is just amazing! He did everything he could to accomodate us. I definitively recommend this establishment.

I made a reservation at this hotel because I had a positive experience at the Best Western Herald Square NYC earlier this year. Reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights for 3 people. From start to finish everything was great especially the staff. The staff really make staying at this hotel a plus. From the valet(s), to bar staff, housekeeping, front desk and even the nice gentleman who helps with the business center. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the city. I reserved an early am taxi the night before departing. The taxi arrived 5-minutes early ready to go. We neglected to bring toothpaste and the front desk had a tube of toothpaste brought to the room. The rooms are somewhat dated but very clean and quiet. Beds were also very comfortable. Location is decent and very much walkable to most points of interest. Good lighting in the bathrooms.

The hotel was clean and well appointed and the staff was friendly but Mike at the transportation desk was amazing. When he found out that we needed multiple cabs to get around and then back to the airport he arranged everything which really took the stress out of getting around.

Rooms are large, free wifi, desk in room and large bathroom. There is a walk-in-robe a/c, fridge and coffee percolator, the room is a little noisy from traffic outside, but the location is suburb, close to the Uni and major shopping centres, restaurants and cafes.

The hotel was well located for our purpose. Close to business meetings, restaurants and shopping. Valet parking available. Decent restaurant in hotel. Wonderful bed in a more-than-average size room. Quite comfortable.

The Best Western Ville-Marie is right downtown and only a walking distance to the major shopping areas. The hotel itself is average. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. It's not in a noisy part of town, so you won't hear a lot of noise. I had rented 2 rooms about a month in advance and requested them together on the same floor (as my children were in the other room). They did not honor our request, in fact we were on two separate floors, and the staff on duty were not that apologetic or concerned. If being closest to everything downtown is what you're looking for, then this would do!

In the past 15 years, we chose to stay in this hotel for its location, friendly manager and comfortable room. The hotel is one block from a major underground shopping mall which takes you all the way to Simmon department store, McGill university, Bay department store etc., You take the entrance on 1445 Peel street and you are in the mall! Last week, we stayed in room 901, a spacious junior suite with two TVs, mini fridge, Kerug coffee maker. The heater/ air conditioner is extremely quiet, one could hardly hear any sound when it is on! The Queen bed is firm and comfortable. Bed linens are fine too.

Hotel was very clean, staff were very accommodating. Nice hotel. Not fancy but just right. Will definitely stay here again. The cafe in the lobby area is simply amazing. The best coffee I have ever had in my travels

We have used this venue a number of times to host group trainings, dinners, and other events. They give an excellent service for catering and have a private, quiet space with tables for your meetings.

Despite the hotel being a bit older, our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff helpful, polite and very welcoming. But this hotel's biggest asset is its location right downtown, within walking distance to everything. There is no self-parking, so valet parking was a necessity and an added expense of $25. The Cafe Castel adjoining the lobby was handy for a quick breakfast before we left in the morning (the cappuccino art was very impressive!).

I have been to this hotel twice and I visit Montreal all the time. They have valet park ring and bellmen to bring up your luggage. Also the two restaurants inside the hotel are great and it is right downtown in the best spot you could be! Everyone is very kind and helpful if you need anything. I recently had a situation where I left some clothing at the hotel!! I was so upset because I was sick on my way home and couldn't go back to get it. The manager Rafik and his assistant Rania were right on top of it and were able to get my clothes to me overnight! I live in the states so needless to say I was elated to be able to get my belongings back. I will definitely be staying there again as I love the service there!! If you love Montreal and need somewhere affordable this is the place!

Good place to stay for business. Internet worked well (which is important), exercise equipment also worked well - which is equally important for somebody who spends a lot of time on the road. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff needed to be a little more diligent, especially when you pay a premium.

The location is in walking distance of local shops and restaurants. The management and staff were very friendly and helpful. Their customer service is way above other hotels I have stayed at. We also had a dinner at the hotel with like 65 people and the servers and food were excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We love this property!!! We have just finished our third year working with with this property and staff for our conference. We always receive excellent customer service, enjoy very clean (newly remodeled) rooms, very tasty buffet meals and a great experience from the time we arrive until our departure. I stayed three nights at the Best Western Ville-Marie on a recent business trip to Montreal. The hotel is very close to McGill University and the shops downtown. There was no breakfast, but adjacent to the lobby is a small bistro, where you can have a croissant and coffee for a reasonable price. The building looks a little bit old fashioned, but the room was average Best Western Standard. Overall, it is a good choice for a short stay in Montreal.

I asked for a room away from the noise of the elevator - I was put right up against the elevator. I needed sleep because I had work early in the morning and they filled my entire floor with partying college kids. They moved me to a quieter room at 3:00 in the morning, which was nice, but I got 2-hours of sleep that night.

Everything started so well here, it is sad I can only give this 2 stars. The (repeated) violation of guests' privacy cannot be made up by great location, etc. The good: - Quick check-in - Protocol for Diamond BW Rewards members followed perfectly - Very convenient location for McGill, shopping, sightseeing - Great room size - Ample towels and amenity products The unacceptable: Despite the "do not disturb" sign my room was being entered by hotel staff for cleaning. When I complained I was treated so badly! The guy just wanted know if anything was stolen and when I said I don't think so, the conversation was over for him! I had left personal items out because I trusted the "do not disturb" sign would meant the hotel staff would respect my privacy. All my private documents were on the desk! It is not only about something being stolen, it is about purposefully violating guests' privacy. The room doesn't get entered by accident. As you can see from the picture, the sign is in the key card slot and has to be removed for staff to use their keys. Horrible! I started searching the reviews and it seems this keeps happening. Why is management not addressing this issue? What is going on here? I would never go back here.

We spent 2 nights in Montreal to see a hockey game. This hotel has great valet service, but make sure you take everything out of the car as parking is not on site. It's a short walk to the Bell Centre and amazing restaurants.

I stayed at the Best Western Ville Marie for one week. I was on holiday alone, and had a junior suite. The suite had a separate bedroom and living room area divided by a 3/4 wall. The bathroom was small, but adequate. The bathroom door opened out, which was good considering the space was small. Inside the suite there was also. Kitchenette with a mini fridge, toaster and microwav, which was convenient as I planned to get a few groceries. It would have been nice to have had paper towels provided, since there was a kitchen area. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I used the gym, which was adequate. Plenty of cardio equipment and nautilus style weight machines; no free weights. Overall, I was pleased with the hotel. It was good value for dollar, especially if you are staying for a week, like I did. I would stay here again. The location is perfect, and had direct access to Mont Royal via Rue Peel; that was a real plus.

Good 10 min walk from the Bell Center if you want to see the Canadiens. Much cheaper to go out for breakfast than to pay hotel rate. Only real complaint was that the water pipes were real noisy in the room next door, it woke us up little pass 7am and we couldn't go back to sleep since it when on a while due to them being 4.

The experience was good overall. Check in was smooth and check out was fast. Staff was excellent with information for suggestions where to go out and eat. Everyone was friendly and the wifi worked very well.

We enjoyed our stay in October. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and neat. The restaurant needs to have their buffet breakfast hot vs. Luke warm but the waiter was more than to happy to reheat my French toast.

My friend and I spent three night in this hotel. We were visiting Montreal and found it a really good location. Barely a block from the Metro station which was very efficient at getting us around. A short walk from an area with lots of restaurants and shops, although we spent most of our time in Old Montreal. Staff were friendly and helpful, although they were unable to resolve a problem with the cigarette smoke smell in our room - from an inconsiderate guest, since this is a non-smoking hotel. The room was very quiet and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was huge, maybe for wheelchair access, but it would have been nice to have some hooks or a towel rail closer to the sink. Shower was hot, but not a very strong spray. I wish the maid service would complete the making of the bed. Once I took the multiple pillows off my bed, they were never replaced, were left on the chair. I like to come back to a fresh looking room where I can sit in my chair!

We stayed in Montreal in unseasonably warm weather and the visit was perfect. The BW Ville-Marie is a great hotel and the location is excellent. The stay was made even better by the staff but I have to call out Julien! He is the man! Anything you need ask for Julien. He will see to all your requests. Great Guy!

I stayed here for two nights for pleasure. The hotel is very conveniently placed for downtown Montreal and is one block away from the nearest Metro station (Peel). My room was facing away from the main roads of Sherbrooke and Peel and was therefore quiet. Its a shame the other guests decided to have a party at 2am in the corridor, which detracted from a good sleep. My room had a fridge, iron/ironing board and hairdryer. It was clean and a reasonable size. Breakfast was extra on my deal and I didn't think it was worth the cost, when there are so many places to eat out nearby. Staff were helpful too, and overall it was a reasonable place to stay.

It all started with our valet parking and Julien who helped us unload our luggage to the cart and then to our room. He was ourstanding and helpful throughout our stay! We cannot say enough about Julien, but all staff was great. The hotel is located within walking distance of many restaurants, high end shopping and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, our main readon for visiting Montreal. Our breakfast, at Zawedeh, in the hotel, was good. We ordered off the menu rather than taking the breakfast buffet. It was good and the pirtion size perfect. Their coffee was outstanding. We booked this hotel in advance, through Trip Advisor, getting an excellent rate. Our room is more than adequate, updated and very clean. We'd stay here again.

My wife and I recently visited the beautiful city of Montreal for the first time this October. We stayed at the Best Western Ville-Marie for three nights and were very pleased as it is in a great part of town near many good restaurants, museums and transportation. The hotel also has one of the best concierges ever, Mike. He was extremely knowledgeable. and helpful in his recommendations and suggestions during our stay. I had left my raincoat in our hotel Quebec City and arranged to have it sent to Montreal, but it did not arrive until early Monday morning after we had already checked out and had gone the train station to return home in New York. When it arrived 30 minutes after our departure from the hotel, Mike drove it to the station, found me and returned it to me just as we were about to board our train! Kudos and many thanks to Mike for going above and beyond!

Located conveniently beside McGill University with very close access to the downtown core of Montreal. Walking distance from Rue St. Catharines which is a great spot for shopping. Staff fluent in both French and English and always willing to help. Rooms were very nice and well-kept!

Stayed for 2 nights at the hotel at whilst on a tour of the Eastern Cities of Canada. Great location close to all the action. The staff were first class. We had dinner the first night in the restaurant and enjoyed the meal with good service. We also had breakfast at the hotel and were very impressed with the choice on the buffet and the service from the staff. Our room was large, beds were comfortable and there was a fridge. The manager is very hands on and it was nice to chat with him before as we collected the luggage from the storage room on the last day. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Montreal! Thank you for a lovely stay.

The hotel was in an excellent location. It was user friendly, the staff was excellent and most willing and able to answer any of our questions. I was a little worried about noise in the heart of the city but this hotel was quiet Andy you heard only minimal movement of other guests.

The location of this hotel is great for business as well as for leisure; a walk away from downtown. The rooms need soon some updating, but they are clean. Parking is not easy, and you need help from the concierge. People are friendly and helpful. Nice cozy bar helps to rewind after a busy day.

I usually stay at the Best Western Europa. But, the rooms there are quite small. Rooms at this hotel are spacious. But, our bathroom could have been cleaner. Found some hairs in there upon check-in. Also the floor area where the tub meets the caulking was not very clean. I ended up cleaning up the dirt from there. I also think they have bit of an issue with mold in there. The concierge fellow is a bit of a scammer. We called and gave plenty of notice re: cancelling a taxi because our plans changed. He seemed to want compensation and tried to make us feel bad about cancelling. The fellow at the front desk was no better. When I mentioned what happened with the concierge, he asked me what the problem was and said that I wasn't charged for anything. I didn't like that... I also didn't like what happened when I requested room service. I requested tea before 10 pm when room service ends. I was told the kitchen was closed. I did end up getting my tea. But, I had to insist I be served. The tea was provided free of charge. But I should not have had to insist that I be served. I don't like to give negative reviews. But, I was really unhappy with my stay at this hotel.

Spent two nights there as part of a trip across Canada. Central to main shopping street and underground. Quite a walk from the old town and we found it a small bar. The restaurant was Lebanese, ok if you like that food. Room was a good size and clean, staff friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for a family weekend trip to Montreal. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. Hotel was in a good location for the downtown area, and just a 30 minute walk to Old Montreal.

Usual Best Western standard, good location and amenities. Good size comfortable rooms. Staff helpful. What makes this hotel classed as EXCELLENT by us is the manager Rafik who went out of his way to sort an issue for us. As a manager nothing was too much trouble for him and would recommend staying here as an ideal base for exploring Montreal. We will continue to use Best Western whilst they have good managers like Rafik who are genuine and want guests to be satisfied during their stay.

We stayed here during our tour of Canada and it was an ideal hotel in a great location. Very spacious rooms with all you require including coffee maker, hairdryer, large tv, iron and free wi-fi. Plenty of places to eat nearby in Peel Street and we also walked to Notre Dame area which was about 20 minutes walk. I would recommend this hotel.

Room we had was very big, with large fridge and safe. beds were a bit soft but comfortable.Our room faced a busy road but double glazed windows kept the noise away. We had a huge television but the picture was braking a lot. There were plenty of restaurants near by and large supermarket 15 min away.

They have the best location in downtown, proffessional staff, rooms are super nice, clean and big,they have by far the best restaurant in montreal, very good looking from exterior to interior , I recommend it to everyone!

On the corner of Peel and Sherbrooke, the hotel is ideally located for visiting downtown atttractions- the McCord and Contemporary Art Museums are very close, as is the McGill campus, and shopping on Ste Catherine and surrounds. Also a walkable distance from Old Montreal, and if that doesn't suit, plenty of nearby public transport from buses and Metro. The hotel is quite large so it is popular with tour groups. The rooms are well-insulated so noise is not a problem, but the presence of tour buses unloading and unloading can make for an occasionally hazardous trip past the luggage piles through the lobby and for crowded elevators.

The hotel is in a good downtown location and the rooms are clean and comfortable, if a little basic. It's probably time to start refurbishing the rooms...the carpet in our room certainly needed to be cleaned. Staff were friendly and helpful.

If you plan on living in the place then it is a average to above rooms are basics but have everything you need .Front desk is helpful.. the Bar down stairs was run very well . The support team is really great specially the Front office. I had to keep on extending my days due to some unplanned job, however they have tried and kept me in the same room as long as they could. Really very helpful. It has situated in the best location.

We had a double room with 2 double beds and good size bathroom. We were on a breakfast included option. Both me and my grandson aged 11 liked the breakfast which included hot food, fruit, Danish pastries and cereals. We also had one evening meal in the restaurant which serves Lebanese food. This was delicious and compared favourably price wise with other meals we had in Montreal. The location is excellent for shopping, visiting Mont Royale and McGill University. The metro is nearby. The staff are very helpful.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The location was convenient to restaurants and other attractions. The hotel staff were very helpful and spoke both French and English. We had breakfast in the restaurant each morning -- good buffet. The only parking is valet parking -- the service was good, but a little expensive. I would definitely stay here again!

Great experience. Rafik Zikriy - general manager made every effort to make sure this was a comfortable experience. Location was great and staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel is clean and well kept, would defiantly go back.

The hotel and services were excellent. BUT, accessing the hotel front entrance either by Peel street or Sherbrooke street is IMPOSSIBLE...because of "one way " signs all over the streets around the area making it impossible to park temporarily at the front entrance to unload/load luggage.

Pros: Great location in downtown Montréal. Close to shopping and the Peel metro station. Very clean, comfortable rooms. Cons: Parking was a little on the expensive side but the hotel is located downtown so it is to be expected.

This hotel seriously needs to lift its game and look up the meaning of customer service. I Wasn't advised my credit card was charged stay plus bond on arrival. Couldn't find my bags when I came to check in staff where rude. When they found my bags downstairs I was told I would need to get my friend and we would need to carry them. When I checked out staff had sneakers untucked shirt looked like he had rolled out of bed. Asked for an umbrella as it was raining was told they didn't have any I would need to get wet. At reception struggling with two bands two bell boys stood there didn't help. Ordered room service toast was bread and no salt and pepper, no conditioner in room, phone didn't work. Attention to detail not there and staff have no customer service and are disinterested in helping and will pass u off as soon as possible so they don't have to do anything. Room was very noisy listening to other people's plumbing running through your room make sure you bring ear plugs. Cosmos group also stay there so can be big groups around doesn't help when u need to check in. Location is quite good 20 min walk to old town and station close by. Room size was good in a twin room. I am sure there are better options available I would look elsewhere.

We found the stay very pleasant. Staff were very accomadating and courteous. We would stay there again if we were in Montreal again. The location was good for us.We don't speak French, but found no trouble in communicating with staff.

Stayed 2 nights and enjoyed being able to walk to Mount Royal and Catherine St. Looked around for cheaper parking but ended up using the valet option with in/out access. Lobby and room were pleasant, staff were helpful. Would stay here again.

We stayed here for 4 nights to move our daughter into McGill. It's a perfect location, close to McGill, metro stops, lots of shops and restaurants. The room was OK. It was clean, but pretty small and bare bones for the price point. Not a lot nicer than the place we stayed last year that was slightly cheaper and a suite plus free breakfast. Some wear and tear and light staining on the carpets. Not a big deal, but not something I expected from this brand or price. The bathroom was clean, but there was zero counter space, even though it was fairly spacious. The ceramic kleenex box was conveniently located on top of the toilet, blocking the flushing mechanism, so we kept it out in the main room. There was a tray of toiletries that was kept on the rim of the bathtub, so we kept that in the main room as well, since it would get knocked over very easily. A small stand or table in the bathroom would have solved both these things. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful, especially the valet staff who kept our bags on our checkout day and arranged a cab to the airport for us. I did like the elevator set up, which was 3 small elevators (4 people max) and one large one, which meant that there was always one available. Other pluses - the free wifi was good, and the mini fridge was handy for drinks and snacks. Would I stay again? Probably not. There was nothing wrong with our stay, but it wasn't enough better than a budget hotel to justify the price difference.

Hotel is located right downtown and only blocks away from major shopping venues. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Bed was a little too soft for my liking but the rest of my family enjoyed them.

Located in the downtown and very near to all the good eating joints & restaurants is a good place to stay. The staff is very cooperative & helpful. Nice - clean rooms. Though the buffet breakfast is not elaborate but ok.

As 2 Senior Women visitors to Montreal, Q C, Canada, I from NV, my friend from VA, we were unsure of where to book a room. Relax & Enjoy a stay at Best Western Ville-Marie, Peel St & Rue Sherbrooke, w/ Flags from every Country flying Proudly. The room was Large, Clean, Comfortable, my bed was Comfy, there was a refrigerator, a real Coffee Maker, Yay, free WiFi, & we were in the middle of every possible mode of transportation, shopping, eating places & visitor attractions. All employees were friendly & helpful. My only complaint- there were no towel bars in the bathroom & only 1 hook for robes or wet towels.

This hotel is in a great location. We spent five days there and enjoyed their friendly staff and good restaurant and coffee shop. Parking is available -- but there is a daily charge. The room was comfortable, clean quiet and reasonable. We enjoyed our stay and did lots of sightseeing.

I stayed at the Best Western Ville-Marie at the end of a tour of eastern Canada. It is in a very good position, close to many museums, restaurants & other places of interest. The room I had was on the 10th floor, it was a lovely big room, nicely presented & very quiet.There were plenty of towels, an iron & board & a safe. The day I was leaving, my taxi arrived late, to take me to the airport. In the confusion, I left my reading glasses on the reception desk. I only noticed they were gone when I looked for them to read on the plane. Arriving back in the UK, I emailed the hotel, to see if they had been found. The general manager replied, saying they had been found, & he would post them to me.They arrived, & I cannot thank him enough for his help. He was so courteous , & the shipping charges were paid by the hotel. I will stay here again when I am next in Montreal. Thank you, I had a great stay with you.

We were on a Starr Bus trip from the USA. Nice room, refrigeraterin room. Comfortable bed. Close to places to pick up a quice meal or a snack. Nice view from the outdoor terrace Nice staff. free Wifi.

This hotel is clean and comfortable. It's located in a nice area and close to a metro stop. The staff were very courteous. Unfortunately, the parking is only valet and costs $25 (Canadian), but otherwise, I was very satisfied with my stay.

We met in an multi-national group for our reunion at this location. The rooms were good- clean and accessible. The cafe in the lobby was expensive and had a limited menu but other places were nearby. The location of the hotel was quite central to places to visit.

Really enjoyed this hotel. Close to everything...... we were able to walk to restaurants and attractions. Concierge staff was helpful with transportation information and restaurant suggestions. Restaurant staff were cheerful and friendly, too!

This hotel is very overpriced, the breakfast looks like a school cafeteria, with tiny plastic cups for juice, small selection of food. The hallways are dingy, and the hot water took over five minutes of running the water to get hot in the shower.

Hotel centrally located. Walking distance of Montreal main shopping above and below ground. Superb restaurants and pub eateries. Hotel staff excellent, professional and accommodating. Room was on 19th floor with an excellent view of Mont Royale. The room and accessories were relatively ne and no complaints about the bedding. Mattress was excellent for a good night sleep.

Very satisfied with this property and surprised there was availability considering all the major events going on in town at the same town (world triathlon championships, 3-day music festival, cosplay event, and Latin festival).

Stayed here on the last night of a tour of eastern Canadian cities. The beds were nice and the rooms clean although the bathroom layout was a trifle odd. The staff seemed helpful. There are a few restaurants within a couple of blocks and you're only a few blocks from the center - although it's all uphill when returning. There us a nice sitting area behind reception if you want to sit and visit as there is only a desk chair in the room.

Booked this hotel on a discount website , thoroughly impressed. Very clean and centrally located to downtown and a short car ride away from old Montreal. Cafe out front was very good for a quick breakfast / coffee stop.

If you're interested in a medium level hotel at high prices, this is the place for you. There are two great things about this hotel, the lobby is nice, and the location is pretty good. After that it's just nothing particularly special. The rooms are fine, but nothing out of this world, you have to pay extra for breakfast and parking. Worst of all you have to use valet parking, so you have to wait for your car. You can call them in advance from your room, but frankly I still had to wait anyways. Worst of all you're expected to tip the valet for a service you may not even want. The folks at the front desk were nice enough, but not particularly warm or helpful. They checked you in and that's about it. The thing that makes this hotel below average is the fact that it's not cheap. If it was a bit more moderate in price, or at the very least offered free breakfast then maybe I wouldn't have written this slightly negative review.

This hotel is centrally located, within walking distance to many sights. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our room was a little noisy being right next to the elevator but did not keep me up at night.

The room was very odd shaped. long and skinny then open to where the bed was. Long walk to bath area. oddest shaped room I have ever seen. My wife took a shower and I knowing better walked across the carpet barefoot to the shower. Puddles of water were still in the shower. I stepped in and my the water turned colors from dirt on my feet. I ran a damp white wash rag over the carpet and it came up dirty. disgusting. Breakfast of scrambled eggs in the plush dining room was not even eggs. It had the consistency of grits, and did not taste like any scrambled egg I have ever ate. This facility was not worth anywhere near the $205 it cost. Terrible place.

Comfortable hotel.Spent two nights. Only had a coffeemaker in room. Overseas travellers need an electric jug for boiling water for tea. Handy to Mont Royale and eateries. Coffee shop staff very friendly.

I found the hotel to be nice and centrally located in a smart neighbourhood. The hotel itself looked decent from the outside and a nice clean lobby. The front desk staff were polite and the checking was fast and efficient. Our room was on the 5th floor, was clean fairly modern and had all the standard facilities you could want. The in room wifi was excellent and definitely a selling point. We were able to leave our bags with the concierge on check out so we could wander around the city with hauling our luggage behind us. I also left a item in the room which the general manager went out of his way to return to me via international post (fantastic level of service). I can't comment on the food as we paid for a room only rate but the cafe on the ground floor looked very promising. All in all a very nice hotel at a good price point with very good customer service.

I slept one night in a room, but I had to change of room. When I arrive the mornin at the lobby, they told that my room wasn't ready, so they didn't gave me my room card yet. When I went back in the evening, to go take my room card, they told me that it wasn't possible to give my room because they needed my credit card information, when they were supposed to keep tose information, but I didn't have my credit card on me. I live 5 hour from this hotel. So I faced the receptionist who put me away, and make me wait 1:30 at least. So the service is really, I had work to do, I had to eat, but all of this didn't happen that night, because of the poor service

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in March 2017. The room was comfortable and the location wonderfully central, but what I remember most is the great service. The front desk staff were always more than pleasant; they seemed like truly kind people who wanted to make sure I was looked after. I needed help twice during my stay, and both times the hotel staff went out of their way to help me. The first problem was that I needed access to a printer so that I could print a train ticket, and the front desk staff saved the day by allowing me to use the printer in their office. This was wonderful of them. The second problem was that when I checked out, I left a computer cord and phone cord behind. I called the hotel and found out that the housekeeping staff had turned in the items, which was impressive in itself. Even more impressive was that the hotel manager himself packaged up the cords and shipped them back to me and then called to make sure they had arrived! I felt like a fool, of course, for forgetting the cords, but he graciously said that it's so easy to forget cords that people do it often. All in all – if you want a comfortable, centrally located hotel, and if you want to be treated kindly and with respect and consideration, I recommend you go to the Best Western Ville Marie Montreal!

We enjoyed our stay. Access and location were very convenient.Room was comfortable with nice view. Valet parking was expedient. Restaurants, shops and McGill University were all within easy walking distance.

Clean rooms, comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was healthy and filling and the staff were well informed, courteous, and helpful. The hotel was situated close to all the attractions we wanted to see. Would certainly visit it again.

This hotel is beautiful and perfectly located. You can walk to a lot of places, restaurants and museums. Close to Old Montreal as well. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, you have to pay for parking but we didn't it was too expensive $25CAD per night. Nice staff and they have a little cafe on the main floor, it was ok food but convenient

Hotel is in great location with an excellent café for food throughout the day. Staff welcomed us close to midnight and were so friendly and incredibly helpful throughout our trip. It is really clear that they want to ensure everyone has a special time in Montreal and our family certainly did. Rafik Zikry, the General Manager, went above and beyond when my daughter thought she had lost her wallet there. She was most upset about losing her Montreal school I.D (she went on 3 month exchange trip in Montreal recently). Rafik even offered to help liaise with the school to get a duplicate one issued and to arrange shipping to Australia. That level of genuine customer service and concern truly stands out. We enjoyed our two night stay while visiting Montreal. The rooms were quite large with comfortable beds. The staff were pleasant and helpful. There is a cute coffee shop with excellent baked goods attached to the lobby. The location was great we were able to walk to many attractions including the art museum and several jazz clubs.

Central location, a bit of a walk to some points of interest (like old town), but close to public transportation, in a good downtown area, good room size and good layout, totally separate bathroom, but translucent panels in bathroom door allow light to shine into bed area, clean, quiet, comfortable, good condition, and good restaurant in house.

We were able to check in early at 1PM by friendly efficient front desk and our car was parked by valet service as we planed to use the great Metro subway system Montreal has.We spent a great afternoon and evening at wonderful The Jazz Festival in the heart of the city. My only complaint was that room service was not available after 10 PM. The room was small but certainly adequate for our needs and clean.

Hotel is very convenient to multiple Metro stops, various restaurants, and downtown. Plus McGill, and several universities, are only a few minutes walk from the hotel. Room, Lobby, and common areas were clean and inviting. Breakfast is a nice continental breakfast and was included with stay. Rafiq is the GM and greeted us most kindly each day, as did all of the employees at the hotel. We have stayed a couple of times and plan to do so again soon. Our visit kept us over a weekend and we found a couple of churches in the area that we would recommend as well. Renaissance Church is located in Little Burgundy and is an English speaking Church and La Chappelle there is a French speaking Church. Both have wonderful pastors, who are true to the word and Love their communities and show that love through their actions, and involvement, in their communities. Nothing in Montreal is more than a few minutes away via the Metro systems, and the town and people are so kind. Needless to say we will go back.

My family and I spent 5 nights in this lovely and well-located hotel. We booked our reservation to attend the Montreal Jazz Fest as well as Canada Day, and both activities were within a maximum 30 minute walk from hotel. We were very well serviced by specifically two very kind men, Brahim and Mahmoud! They knew the city very well and provided us with directions to everywhere we needed to go. They also helped us with our luggage and car. The staff at reception were also very genuinely kind :) Highly recommend a stay in this hotel! However, we DO NOT recommend breakfast as it was expensive and the food offered was not worth the value paid, you could easily get something to eat from the café next door or anywhere near the hotel as there are many good breakfast options near the hotel.

This hotel is in a fabulous location. It is a "Boutique Style" hotel, very quiet but in the heart of everything. The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable. The staff can't be more helpful, they are professional and very courteous. The restaurant and cafe offer varied menus. Close to the metro, McGill University, the Museum of Beau Arts, you can walk to just about anywhere. Put this on your list. I love this property.

The room we had is big and comfortable. The bar area is quiet and uninspiring, we didn't bother with the restaurant as there are several in walking distance. I agree with some other reviewers who said the front desk staff are a bit difficult. One note of caution is not to use the iron and a hair dryer at the same time. It tripped our breaker and we lost power from all sockets for 30 minutes until the maintenance staff fixed it.

The location of this hotel on Sherbrook street and close to the train station and metro, art museum and the main park is its main asset. On the other hand, most of the hotel facilities look rather tired (such as doors, elevators, windows, etc.). In our case (we had a studio), one of the rooms had absolutely no light (we found this very curios and frustrating and we had to relocate a lamp to have a bit of light), the opening of the windows was a nightmare (old system impossible to operate), etc. Worst of all was however the breakfast which is not included in the room rate. We were surprised to see when arriving that there was only another table occupied. We understood why when seeing the so called buffet - they were having almost nothing and the existing products were of a low quality. Even for the coffee (which was not very good) we had to ask the waitress for a cup to pour in as you cannot find it there. On the top of it, the cost of the breakfast was very very high for the quality. Everything was made as if they did not wanted you there. Even the personnel, while smiling, they were rather discussing between them than taking care of us. To conclude - a hotel too expensive for the quality.

Descent hotel, OK cleanliness of rooms, very good location. My biggest issue was dealing with Valet Service. They act like beggars, always expecting you to tip them, even just for bringing your car up and down for parking, no other options for your parking, just valet, for which you pay extra $25 per day. And if you dare not to tip them, they make faces and fuss about it. Also found them making inappropriate comments to my wife.

In this range of price, you can found a better hotel in Montreal. We had not a really nice service and the follow up on our demand was not made. We ask to received the invoice by mail and 1 week later, after follow-up we didn't received anything... we had also some problem with the room when we arrive, they ask us to change after one night in another room...Overall pretty average service in an average hotel.

Convenient central location for seeing Montreal, we walked miles! Booking in at reception was smooth and efficient. I booked two rooms and found we had adjoining doors which was great as we shared a suitcase. Rooms were comfortable and huge. Great shower. Disappointed with the bar which we like to use in the evening after a full day of exploring. My pet hate are TV's in the bar and there were 3 of them plus a radio station providing the music with lots of breaks for advertisements. Needless to say a couple of visits were enough and we found somewhere else nearby. I asked the concierge for help on our first night as the ladies facilities are accessed in the evening with use of your room key but the door was difficult to open. He made me feel uncomfortable about interrupting his conversation with other staff members and I received quite unpleasant looks from him the following evening. I didn't approach him again for information or help due to this incident.

I stayed 7 days in this hotel recently. Everything about this hotel was great. 1. The booking with the reservation manager, Rania Tohme was a pleasant experience. She was at all times prompt and polite.2. The staff at the counter were all polite and helpful. They go out of their way to help us. 3. The restaurant staff were also very efficient. The food was good and ample. I was a returning customer and my previous and current experiences with this hotel have been great. The hotel is in the best position with a 5 minutes walk to the Metro and close to shops and restaurants. I will NOT hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone hoping to visit Montreal. Wonderful weekend at the F1 GP, thanks team Best Western for going the extra steps, nice room, clean (very), quick to fix a small issue, valet parking was worth it. Will stay there again in the future.
