« Will make a point of staying here again & stay at other Best Western Hotels »

We had a couple of very enjoyable nights here, everything is 1st class from underground car parking to very well appointed rooms and such helpful & friendly staff with magnificent breakfasts to boot. One of the most enjoyable hotel experiences to date, just about faultless. Some say this hotel is too business orientated and lacks charm, who cares I like standards & being made tio feel important and well looked after. This hotel is a credit to the chain.

« Good time to be had in Munchen Gladbach »

Good hotel with multi-lingual staff that were very pleasant and welcoming on arrival. They arranged gluten free food without having to be asked! The room was clean, spacious and in good order. Secure underground parking was available.

    « Good hotel »

Stayed here for three nights for football trip. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Domestic staff great with new towels when needed. Rooms comfortable. Cooked breakfast mediocre with same thing each day but great selection for continental breakfast. Very good location for town centre ( make sure to ask directions as we went wrong way first night). Thank you.

« Fantastic friendly clean hotel. »

Stayed here last week and was treated really well by the staff. They looked after us and nothing was a problem. Special mention to Helmut the night porter. We were so drunk on the German beir one night he made sure my mate got to his room. Hotel was clean and minibar well stocked. All in all no complaints.

« Great time in Gladbach »

We went to watch a Borussia Monchengladbach game so just need accommodation for one night. We arrived early but even so our room was ready and we were able to check in. Our room was a good size, clean and comfortable, good wifi and aircon, a minibar, safe etc. Maybe a bit dated décor wise but perfectly suitable for our stay. The bathroom had a shower cubicle and no bath but that suited us. The staff were very friendly and really helpful. After the match we got back to the hotel quite late so had a couple of drinks in the bar, the prices were reasonable and the barman was friendly. There is a PC and printer near reception so we could print off our boarding cards for the flight home. The hotel location is good, we walked from the Hauptbahnhof and it took about 20 minutes, we went to do a bit of shopping and it was about a 10 minute walk to the start of the main shopping street. There is a supermarket next door and a bus stop close by. We had a great day in Monchengladbach and would stay here next time we come to watch Die Fohlen.

    « Cozy »

It was a nice small property by my standards but with clean rooms & all basic amenities. The location is pretty good and the staff friendly. Our group had not opted for breakfast but our local group were quite happy with it.

« Average business hotel lacking dining facilities »

The room is what you would expect for a business-type hotel and breakfast was good, although pricey. It states in the description that there is a restaurant. Well, beware. I arrived early evening to be told that the restaurant was closed "for a summer break" and there was no room service available either. There is a very ordinary Chinese next door, which was almost empty and other eateries are at least a ten minute walk away. As I was a lone female, I didn't relish the thought of walking around an unknown town at night. Plus, I am only 3 weeks away from having a hip replacement, so my mobility is not great. I deliberately chose this hotel because it boasted restaurant and room service facilities, so I was quite cross. I was in the area for a family funeral and had planned to stay 2 nights, but I managed to change my travel arrangements so that I could avoid staying the second night.

    « Good Location »

The hotel was in a great location, within walking distance of the Old Town and only a 10 to 15 minute walk to the railway station. It has a clean and tidy exterior. The lobby is clean and welcoming and the reception area was easily seen. Whilst checking in there was a choice of water or Ice Tea on the desk. The staff were all very polite and helpful. The hotel had everything we needed. Only one very minor negative point, the room was very hot but due to road noise we couldn't have the window open, there was however air conditioning.

« Short stay for football trip »

Stayed here recently on a trip to see some Bundesliga football. Clean and comfortable rooms, helpful reception staff and close to bus links for station. Reasonably priced and nice little bar on ground floor for those in need of a nightcap! Ideal for our purpose. There were nine of us and There were no complaints.

    « Perfect for a weekend's football in NRW »

This is the second time a group of 9 of us (various ages) have stopped here on our annual trip to Germany to watch Bundesliga football - previously we stayed at the Holiday Inn (now Leonardos). The hotel is conveniently situated adjacent to excellent public transport facilities both for Borussia Park and for the main railway station for travel further afield. The hotel itself is excellent for our purpose, incredibly helpful staff, well priced and although the breakfast is a bit pricey at 15 euros there is a superb café just across the road. We'll be booking again next year once next season's Bundesliga fixtures are published

« Poor value for money »

I planed to pay with Diners credit card, it was option at Booking and in the lobby (they have list with accepted credit cards including Diners). They refused to accept Diners, asked for differend card, preauthorized for 40% higher amount than my room booking. New card costed me additional 5%. Never happened in last 15years of my travelings worldwide. Room was terribly cold, like being outside. Heating was poor, way too loud, 3 days after non stop heating it was still cold, so I got sick. When checking out they wanted to charge different amount than one I booked via Booking, 10euro more, but it is a metter of principles. I do find all this very unprofessional both from Booking (who didnt bave reaction at my 2 complaints) and hotel side. Not recommended for pleasant stay. Way to expencive for accommodation they offer. Breakfast was excellent. Room service very good.

    « Business trip »

We stayed at the Best Western Monchangladbach last week for 3 nights on a trip organised through my work. The Reception staff were excellent being very help all speaking fluent English. The room was of a good standard with air conditioning comfortable bed bath & shower. considering it's city center location we had 3 very good nights sleep. The city center is only 10 minutes walk away We would take this opportunity to recommend the Mendoza Steak House - best steak ever!!! Breakfast was of a VERY high standard easily a 4 star quality.Free Under ground parking for those who are precious about there vehicles. We would return..

« Perfect for going to a Gladbach game »

This hotel provides decent value for money and is a good base for when going to a Borussia Monchengladbach game. The hotel is a 20 minute walk at most from the city centre and the rooms are very nice and classy with a reasonably priced mini bar. There is also a supermarket next door for any food and drink if you don't fancy a walk back up to the city centre. The only fault I could find was I didn't find the staff very friendly or helpful when we were trying to order a taxi to the stadium.

    « Good location »

Good location ideal walking distance to high street and shops, rooms standard size clean and tidy. Lack of pillows on bed and had to go to desk to ask about wifi. Different passwords for every device. Although hotel states free parking we ended up waiting as car park outside hotel full so we went to underground hotel car park however was told this was also full. If looking for average cheap overnight convenient location ticks the box .

    « Gladbach Experience »

Fantastic City and the Best Western is an ideal place to stay when staying in Moenchengladbach. The hotel is very comfortable and clean as well as being situated a short walk from the shops and bars. I will definitely stay here again when I am in the city.

    « Absolutely Superb »

We (2 adults + 1 child) stayed here for one night but would have loved to extend our stay. The hotel is a business hotel but also has a pleasant ambience for a leisure stay. Staff were great - especially Anna H at reception. She was helpful, professional and explained everything very well. We had a double 'comfort' room on the top floor (4th) overlooking the park. Room is a reasonable size and well-layed out. The modern, new bathroom was a good size and had a bath +shower (over the bath). Everything was well-maintained and clean. An additional bed was placed in the room for our 13-year old son. I did find the cost for the extra bed - at about 50% of the room rate (not incl breakfast) - a bit disproportionate. Beds were very comfortable but it was a pity that two single duvets are provided for a double bed. Breakfast is charged at EUR15 but considering the extensive choices of wonderful food (buffet and cooked) and tastefully decorated dining room, I consider this to be well-worth the price. A big plus for me was free parking in the hotel parking garage. The town centre with its modern shopping centre is a pleasant 10-15 min walk. Overall a superb stay and we will no doubt be back some time.

    « COULDN'T FAULT IT »

Only stayed one night and couldn't fault this hotel or it's helpful and friendly staff. The room was excellent, very clean and smart, the bed was very comfortable. The hotel itself was spotless and there were no noise issues inside or even outside considering the busy road junction it sits on. We had a slight problem at check in as we were given a double bed not twin beds but the staff brought another bed into the room within 5 minutes and gave us vouchers for a free 'stress buster' beer. The hotel is a taxi ride from the train station and it is a 10 minute walk to the Alter Markt, some of it uphill, but well worth the effort as there are some really nice bars and restaurants there. If I visit Monchengladnach again I will definately stay at this hotel again, to be fair I would have liked at least one more night on my first visit.

« Expensive for what it is »

We stayed here for one night in late September and the location isn't great for sites, shopping, etc, but its easy to get to by car and it does have free parking. The rooms are small but clean. It has a small bar by reception which stays open late. The restaurant area is on the 1st floor and is well presented. We had breakfast for 15 euros. There is the usual selection of meats. cheese, fruit, bread, etc, and it was ok for the price. The hotel is more of a stop off point as opposed to a base for exploring.

« Good but not the best »

Average hotel which delivers what it says on the tin, I can't say the beds were very comfortable and was only there to sleep. Reception staff were a little bit uninvolving however there was free onsite parking in the underground carpark. There is better in town, see my other review.

    « Clean & well presented »

We stayed here for a few days to visit the area. We booked 2 rooms on the park side which is the quiet side, although we slept well, evenings can be noise with local people using the park, so if you have young children be aware. Rooms were clean and well presented. As said previously there is free wifi with a code from reception. Breakfast is extra but our daughter eats very little and at a cost of €15 each, it proved costly. if this is the case go to Netto next door and buy some of the croissants and orange juice for a fraction of the cost. Free parking but underground car park a little difficult to get to at first. Staff friendly and efficient, would recommend.

    « Great place »

This hotel is 10 min walk located from the shops and nightlife and a busstop is across the road The room was clean and quit big with comfi beds and free coffee and tea. The breakfast was buffed style and had a bit of everything. For the price i can not fault this hotel and would defenetly come back
