    Stayed here for 5 nights.Room was very spacious and bed was very comfortable.You get complimentary brandy in your room which is a nice touch from the owner.Food and service in the restaurant was great.

    « Lashings of hot water... »

    We stayed here for one night when we had no hot water or heating for 4 days and nights due to a broken gas pipe. The booking (online) was seamless, the room on arrival was clean and warm (much needed)and reception staff couldn't be more obliging. We couldn't dine in the restaurant due to a function but were offered a bar meal and given plenty of information about times and menu. The room was quiet, which surprised us as the function went on late. So overall we were happy with the room, service and price we paid.

    My daughter's wedding breakfast and evening party were held here. The organisation was poor. Several issues occurred before the big day, personnel changes, promises made and broken. The hotel's performance over the weekend was dismal, from guests being booked into the wrong rooms, given keys to dirty rooms, the wrong meal being served at the wedding breakfast, no MC, painfully slow meal service, etc. The management response to the more than 80 (yes, eighty) items listed in the original complaint has been to ignore the majority of issues, minimise others and even to make statements that are (provably) untrue, so evidence is now being collated for the court case. There were additional minor issues that we didn't even bother to list. The problems seem to be caused by 1) taking on more business than they could cope with, and 2) inadequately trained staff. The few that were around were mostly from the "Nothing to do with me. It's someone else's problem/I'm only a temp" variety. The result was way below any reasonable expectations.

    Booked a particular room months in advance. Received what I believed was an agreement from the booking staff that I had booked it. Refused it by the check-in staff who outrageously announced that -- "No, you can't book a particular room, just the grade of room" These guys need to get their act together. And while they're at it they could change the burnt-out light bulbs occasionally.

    My son got married at this hotel.Let me say the staff are very helpful and friendly.Unfortunately the organisation of the event was beyond awful.The hotel had managed to book two weddings over one weekend.They said they only have one event each weekend.This put pressure on us because the ceremony room could not be accessed until two hours prior to the event for dressing the room. The evening do was was great apart from having to chase the buffet.Get more food which we did not order.Finally they ran out of beer.I ask you at a wedding.

    « Shame about the desk staff »

    Been here before so booked our favourite room. Shame the booking staff didn't record the booking. Got allocated a different room. Told there's no guarantee when booking a room that you'll get the room you have specifically booked! Talked down to by desk staff that it was somehow our fault for expecting what we reserved. Left the hotel quite pissed off hence this write-up.

    « Beautiful old building and staff very helpful »

    A lovely stay, great (but I agree with others a little dated) room at the front of the main building and the staff were brilliant, especially as the restaurant was literally full and yet the staff still found time for me as an individual traveller. If you need a hairdryer you have to ask at reception as there wasn't in the room, luckily I noticed the night before and popped down to reception rather than when I needed this the next morning! I thought the small decanter (with Brandy) was a quaint touch in the room, although I passed on this as I had a very busy trip ahead! I got a good deal hence I think good value, but I wouldn't have paid near their full price - I stay in this area a lot so without a deal I wouldn't be back from a value point of view.

    « Ready for a refurb »

    We stayed here recently as part of a weekend away. Got a deal on a well known hotel website which turned out to be £10 more than the hotel charged directly. We requested a large bed room which we got and the room was huge, it just felt a bit tired and stuck in late 80's/early 90's. Complementary whiskey in room upon arrival. Didn't use restaurant and quite pricey so visited a local Italian restaurant instead (see my other reviews) and breakfast was £14 a head so ate elsewhere for that too. On a positive, it was quiet and clean and staff were friendly too. Conservatory area had a bad leak in the rain but didn't effect our stay. Plenty of parking which was free too. Would stay again if in the area, just needs a good update inside.

    I had a room booked for a meeting which then got cancelled. I understand that the room was booked at a special 'non refundable rate'. However, my meeting got postponed by a week at the last minute so I had no need for the room and wanted to move it back by 1 week. This has happened to me before at other hotels and other places have been understanding and just moved the booking. I now have a room paid for at £98 which I cant use ! Safe to say, I will not be staying here next week, nor ever again. Its really not that nice anyway

    Stayed here before many times. It's a bit of a lottery what standard of room you get. Some are very good whilst others not so good. This stay my room was fine. Restaurant serves nice food and cooked breakfast really good. Some mornings it's only a buffet breakfast. Overall nice stay

    « Could be better....but all acceptable »

    What looks like an lovely imposing building from the outside, certainly disappoints when you walk through the door. The decor is dated and lacks style and grandeur. Is in desperate need of a make over. Staff seem a little like rabbits in head lights and never quite know how to deal with a request; for example; if someone has booked their function room then there is no more food served in the bar, but you could still order room service (well how about if you're not actually staying at the hotel and have just popped in to eat? - do you eat it sat on the staircase then and that's ok?- the function isn't in the bar, so why can't you eat it there? What's the issue? The kitchen being unable to cope or location of eating? No one knows!) The food itself is fine. It's not going to win any awards but it's simple and fills a hole, can't complain. This hotel has so much potential if only it would raise the bar on decor, ambience and service.

    « Comfortable Hotel but Poor Service »

    We stayed for 1 night on Saturday and the hotel seemed to be busy with a wedding party or two. Check in was good and room nice and quiet with all expected facilities. So far so good. Ordered mid afternoon food from the bar and service Ok although we had to wait to order as no one was manning the bar until we asked. Food was Ok. We went out for the evening and then straight to our room when we got back. Nice quiet room and decent sleep. Got up for Breakfast on Sunday morning, Went down around 9.20am. There was a queue to be seated for breakfast and no one organising!! The restaurant was clearly not large enough for the number of staying guests. We waited (with no communication) for around 20 mins to be seated then to be told we would have to share a table with other diners we didn't know...very Odd. We were seated but the queue had then moved to the Hot Breakfast counter and we waited a further 15 mins for a buffet queue to go down..... my advice is check whether the hotel is packed with group bookings or weddings before you stay there.... or book room only and travel somewhere else for breakfast.

    I knew of this hotel because I live in the area 30 years ago. We had 2 rooms which were fine, ours a very large space away from the main hotel building with large bed and huge tv and massive bathroom with roll top bath centre placed. The overall impression is that the hotel is very dilapidated and has probably seen more opulent times. We did not have the breakfast here as it appeared uninspiring, instead we found a lovely place in Woburn Sands. Our stay was good for the wedding on Saturday and we have no real complaints. There is a very good Thai restaurant next door and now the Anchor restaurant close by - I cannot see this place competing which is so typical of many hotels like this that just lose their mojo over time. They have the space and if with a good chef and a bit of money there is the opportunity to offer a good cocktail bar and bistro dining, but a long way to go before they get to that point even if they want to.

    Visited with a coach party and stayed for four nights. Friendly staff, quick check in. Room comfortable and very quite. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Evening meal varied with 3 choices of starters, mains and sweets. Well cooked and presented. All staff helpful and good service. Hotel well situated for visiting interesting places in the area.

    Recently stayed here after celebrating friends wedding, all Staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful on arrival, the Room was a decent size in the cottage rooms and clean and tidy, the décor made it feel a little dated but for a one night stay it was fine, the complementary small decanter of brandy in the room was a nice touch, although not sure on the taste as we didn't try it.

    Hotel is ok, Very little to do locally. So if your after just a bed and breakfast then it's perfect. No gym, swimming, small bar area and nothing else in the village. Nice to see the Windows facing the extremely busy main road have had an attempt to reduce the noise with a second inner window installed. But the noise can still be an heard.

    We stayed here for my sister in law's wedding. My Sister/Mother/Brother-in-law also stayed. We were all very disappointed. The reception staff were welcoming and courteous and there was plenty of parking, but that is where the positives end. The bed was hard, the pillows like cardboard (all four of them - resorting to a terrible neck pain for most of the next day). The toilet seat lid was broken off it's hinge, but resting over the toilet seat. The ?full' english breakfast was missing any eggs (both days according to my sister-in-law, due to 'no gas'). In actual fact the ?full' English breakfast consisted of: beans, sausage, bacon, toast (from a toaster from the bygone age of hotels that by the time the toast was warm and brown, the rest of the place of food was cold), black pudding and tomato. There was no milk on our table - or sugar - or butter. I had to get up and go searching on other tables. There was limited cereal and limited milk. In fact when I asked where the milk was, I was sternly told 'on the table!' When I asked if there would be any eggs/hash browns/mushrooms, I was told - again sternly, ?If it's not there, no'. We were not offered a refill of tea. One small pot between two. We were lucky to get anything for breakfast at all as when we checked in we were told that breakfast was at 9-10am. The receptionist then turned to her colleague and corrected it to 9-11am on a Saturday. She then told us to avoid it at 9-10am as there was a National Trust group in who would be there and that they were quite large. She continued that the breakfast room would be very busy at that time. The breakfast was more boarding school, with the staff treating us like naughty latecomers to breakfast. Although it's a three star it is clearly charging 4 star price. So, all in all, not a great experience at all for our £135.00!

    « Problem with nearly everything »

    Stayed here for a friends wedding, the happy couple also staying, in the morning in the bridal suite we needed an extra chair in the room for the hairdresser, apparently the whole hotel did not have a chair without arms! The bride ordered breakfast for her elderly parents, it wasn't delivered, when called to chase was told it was not delivered because they could not cook any form of eggs whatsoever?! We could not check into our other rooms early so was told if we left our bags in the suite they would be taken to our rooms during the day, on arrival back in the early hours all our bags were still in the bridal suite #awkward! The hotel arranged us a taxi from the venue, the journey of about a mile was charged at £15, when queried the driver said the hotel had agreed that on booking but this was not relayed to anyone. All 20 guests staying at the hotel were supposed to receive sandwiches on our return, these were not made available, the following morning the hotel insisted we had refused them and were still charging! 20 people who'd been drinking all day refusing food?? Just not the case. Felt like problems from start to finish and did not make the couple feel special like they should've done!

    Stayed 1 night. Room needed dusting & hoovering. Evening Meal in the restaurant was good although side salad was forgotten and brought just as meal was bring finished. Breakfast a disaster waited for table to be cleaned then laid had to ask for tea & coffee then wait for the food to be replenished. Pale bacon no eggs. Not worth £12.

    Recently stayed here after celebrating friends wedding. All Staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Room was ok, clean, but could hear the road through the single glazed window in the bathroom. Bathroom door stuck, so needed forcing closed. Breakfast was basic, scrambled eggs where pale and bit tasteless. Biggest problem with breakfast is lack of space where the hot food is served, meaning everyone is on top of each other waiting. Would have been 4* if it wasn't for this.

    « Overnight stay for Woburn Abbey Safari Park! »

    Had a lovely stay at this hotel, a family of 5 we had a family room and a double room, both really lovely, clean and spacious. Bathroom both good, family room had 2 sinks AND large corner bath with 2 shower heads and toys for younger guests. Both rooms had mini decanters of brandy with mini glasses, a nice touch although as a non drinker would have actually preferred a bottle of water, I didn't ask but they may well have swapped. Was nice to be able to open windows fully and our family room had French doors and a small balcony area. On the improvement side: Was lacking air con which would have been welcomed given we stayed on the hottest day of the year (which incidentally helped us choose on wether to dine in the hotel restaurant or not, we opted for a 5 min drive into the local Kingston centre for an air conditioned restaurant) the hotel restaurant was, like many these days, in a conservatory without air con so like a little green house (which was was what it was called I believe). Storage of scaffolding in front of our room I'm assuming is temporary. The staff varied a little, reception on arrival was lacking in warmth, no humour or friendliness however the waiter at breakfast, Asad I think was his name, was simply wonderful, friendly, accommodating, nothing was too much trouble...check out was reasonably fast. We would defo stay again next year for our annual Woburn visit. Book it Danno!

    This hotel is a quiet retreat just off the M1. It ha a large car park and clean well equipped rooms. The restaurant is very good and the staff are very helpful. The breakfast is nice because you can order any combination of food, which is prepared fresh to order

    « Hmmm- could be better and should be!? »

    As a family of 4 we stayed at the hotel overnight for a local wedding (not at the hotel though that's what it seems to cater for - be warned!) out of logistical convenience. Check in was OK though there was some confusion if we'd paid in advance (we had to my knowledge) or otherwise. Our two rooms were booked months in advance and I'd asked for quiet rooms on the top floor away from noise - the room my wife and I had was properly accommodated (room 49?) at the end of the annex corridor on the top floor but my two sons room (33) was mid level within the hotel and they suffered a disturbed nights sleep (or lack off!) due to inconsiderate child 'guests' running up and down the corridor throughout the early hours and I believe other guests complained about this! The rooms seemed reasonably furnished with nicely appointed bathrooms. Though it's August the central heating was on(!?) so our room was very warm and needed the windows opening overnight - not a problem being at the quiet end of the hotel but an air conditioning unit or fan would have been a godsend. Breakfast - we'd paid I think £12 a head for the breakfast - my advice is don't bother and go elsewhere as the ingredients used were of poor quality - cheap orange juice, under cooked bacon, fatty sausages and oddly flavored scrambled egg and my wife advised the black pudding was the poorest she'd ever tasted! Toast was DIY and only brown bread was available(?) The mark of a good hotel is the quality of it's breakfasts and as such this is definitely lacking - not enough choice, not enough staff to clear tables and re-set and to offer follow up service and poor quality ingredients - there needs to be an improvement here! Would I stay here again - I think not and would happily travel further away to a better hotel so my advice is shop around and read reviews before you commit.

    « Overall, disappointed. »

    We stayed two nights, down from Scotland for a family wedding taking place locally. We like Best Western hotels but this stay didn't live up to our other experiences within their hotels concept. Check in was quick and easy and our room was 66 in the annexe. The annexe entrance area was in need of a vac and remained so throughout our stay. The room was small with a standard double bed and peeling faux leather head board. There was no fan or a/c and boy, was it hot. Single glazing meant that the kitchen fans in the main building directly opposite were intrusive. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. A nice touch was a bedside tray with two glasses and a small brandy flask compliments of the Management for a bedtime snifter. Breakfast on the Saturday morning was a car crash. We sat down at 09.00am with few in the dining room, within 30 minutes the arriving guests were clearing and laying their own tables. Just not enough serving staff to cope with the numbers. The buffet area was without tongs for bread, the plates were cold and wet, the scrambled egg a solid hot block. Overall, the hot food quality wasn't impressive with many providers in this competitive hotel sector doing so much better. Overall, disappointed with what we experienced.

    « First Anniversary stay »

    We were married here last year, and included in our wedding package was a night in the bridal suite on our anniversary. We took advantage of this kind gesture. Upon arrival, all staff were well presented and very friendly. Every time I have visited this hotel all the staff have been very welcoming, they are all a credit to the business. We had the same room as we when we married here which was nice, and it was clean and comfortable. We had dinner in the Greenhouse Restaurant which we both enjoyed. Again, the staff were excellent. We had breakfast in the morning. We were staying on a B&B basis, but if you have not paid for B&B do not be put off by the £12.50 price tag; that includes your choice of cooked breakfast, unlimited tea and coffee, continental breakfast, fruit, cereals and juices. The price might be a bit steep, but you can definitely get your money's worth. The waiter at breakfast was extremely friendly, he engaged in lengthy and in depth conversation with us while we were trying to eat breakfast, but we are shy people and were just too polite to ask to be left alone. I don't mean to criticise, he clearly enjoys his job and does it very well. We always enjoy coming to Moore Place, sometimes just for a drink or for coffee (we live about 15 minutes away so is easy for us to get to). When we arrived on Sunday there were some glasses out on the patio tables, and were still there 3 hours later. The exterior of the building is starting to look a little shabby, but it looks like they have this well in hand as there are scaffolding poles lying out of the way in preparation for use. We will continue to pop in here, and would recommend a stay here.

    Stayed here on business and found the staff to be very helpful. The rooms were very warm in the original building, however they were nice and spacious. The decor was a little dated. Overall a decent place to stay.

    « Very pleasant and relaxing stay »

    My wife and I stayed here for two nights, in room 2 (in the main hotel building), on a DBB basis. We found the hotel which surprisingly did not have the usual large BW sign outside. There was plenty of parking. We were pleasantly greeted at reception and shown to our room. This was large with a four poster bed, large wardrobe, window seat, coffee table, big tv and three chairs. There was plenty of storage space, though no fridge or safe. A kettle and coffee and tea supplies were on the coffee table. Also, to our surprise, complimentary decanters of whisky and brandy! Two packets, of Lotus Biscoff, each containing one biscuit, were supplied which we thought was rather disappointing. Also disappointing was the tea comprised typhoo tea only - no green tea, earl grey or fruity types. The bathroom had a bath, separate shower and WC. A useful feature was the toilet roll holder which could be positioned to suit! The water was always hot. Toiletries comprised moisturising cream, shampoo and bath/shower gel. One poor aspect of the bed was the poor lighting if we wanted to read in bed. Although there was a light beside the bed, the drape of the four poster shaded the light. Wifi was good, reliable and reasonably fast. Breakfast was a lovely selection of cold food to which you help yourself and hot food cooked to order. The cold food included fresh fruit, cereal, juice, croissants, pastries and yoghurt. The waiter was friendly and remembered our coffee and tea order. Breakfast starts at 0630 weekdays and 0800 at weekends which may be a little late for some. Servicing of the room was ok but they removed the very slightly used shampoo and shower gel, replacing them with two shower gels. We had to get more shampoo from reception. There were a couple of very minor maintenance issues with fixtures in the bathroom which we notified the reception of when checking out. Included in these was the extractor fan in the bathroom gave no sign of working. In no way did these minor issues detract from our enjoyment. The quiet location in the village and nearby attractions of Woburn Abbey were excellent. The hotel appears to be used mainly by business people during the week when we were there. However, at weekends the hotel hosts weddings so this might affect the parking and cause noise. There are no shops in the village. There is an Indian and Thai restaurant next door. Also the nearby Anchor Inn and restaurant, which has been closed for refurbishment, should be open again in mid September. The hotel has its own restaurant which is good and reviewed elsewhere. However, note that the allowance for Dinner is £25 which is not sufficient to cover 3 courses unless you choose the cheapest options.

    « Breakfast police! »

    Room upon arrival was small, no fan in the room or AC. Arrived quite late after a day travelling. Went into breakfast quite late, no orange juice, selection of fruits, cereal and yoghurt! Seemed ok, just need some cereal and coffee and go! The guy (bouncer) on the breakfast room entrance was quite miffed I had come in and I had only paid for my room! I sometimes forget when booking many business trips, if I book RO or B&B. No problem I can pay the extortionate £12.50 when I check out! He kept pacing, checking on me, I genuinely think he thought I was pulling a fast one and I was going to do a runner!!!! Please This is quite intimidating, and your breakfast and rooms are overpriced!

    This hotel is located in the little Village of Aspley Guise, minutes away from M1 J13. The hotel room are nice and the surrounding is very quiet. Good value for money, great location not far from Milton Keynes but with the benefit of a village atmosphere.

    « Relaxing stay »

    My husband and I stayed here one night before going to Centreparcs at Woburn forest. We had a warm welcome and check in was quick and easy. We stayed in room 37 which had a fresh look and was clean and comfortable. The only drawback was the view from the room which looked out onto a scaffold tower. We went downstairs for a drink in the bar but had to wait a while for someone to come and serve. We decided to eat in the restaurant as the menu was quite inviting. My husband has the steak whilst I had fish and chips. The steak was cooked just right where as the fish should have been in a chilli/soda batter but I could not taste the chilli. Other than that the fish was good. We both had dessert which was rather indulgent. The waitress was friendly and helpful and the food did not take too long to arrive. The one thing that would have made our evening better was to have music in the bar and restaurant, it was so quiet there was no atmosphere........ We did not have breakfast in the morning although we did have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Checkout was quick and easy too. A stay here is recommended.

    « Friendly and helpful staff »

    We have just a stayed a night here and found the hotel to be both comfortable and pleasant. Check-in was efficient and the lady behind the desk was helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom could do with modernising. The complimentary drop of brandy in the room was a nice touch. The bar staff were brilliant and many thanks for going out of the way to find us that corkscrew. The breakfast was of good quality. Would we stay here again? Yes!

    « Fur Coat - but no knickers! »

    This place is primarily a commercial hotel and conference facilities which I am sure it serves adequately. However, this becomes an event venue at weekends and there were at least two or three weddings taking place and the property is simply not big enough to accommodate that number of people - to the detriment of those of us who were not associated with a wedding. The rooms are adequate for single occupancy business bookings but standard double beds, at these prices, are unacceptable. Bathrooms are similarly compact and the shower was installed in such a way it soaked the rear wall, mirror and all toiletries and cosmetics stored on the shelf above the sink. The TVs have been installed at a sensible height for viewing from the bed but the bedside lights, suspended from the ceiling, are too bright and too high to be of any use. The mattress was old and uncomfortable and the old vinyl bed head was crumbling away all over the pillow and sheets. It should be noted that despite the criticism the rooms are spotlessly clean. Then we come to breakfast. What a shambles!! The room is too small for a full hotel of families so the timing had been extended to 8.00am - 11.00am rather than 10.00am but no one had told the restaurant staff!! We arrived to find the breakfast room looking like the aftermath of an explosion in a china factory!! Tables had not been cleared from earlier and we were left with no choice but to sit at a dirty table and wait whilst a sullen woman cleared the table, and then complained we had taken a table that had not been laid. The drinks order was simple - one coffee, one mineral water. She delivered a pot of coffee and a pot of hot water - and no cups. The breakfast buffet was poor. Many missing items and when fresh food was delivered it was in dirty plastic ice cream containers and simply tipped into container. The eggs were grossly over cooked and the bacon was of a very poor quality. It was make your own toast and, allegedly, croissants were available and fresh ones were being prepared, I waited forty minutes but none arrived. The head waiter is simply not capable of operating a business with this volume of customers and his team are equally ineffective - after all - they only have to serve the wrong drinks and clear tables! At 10.00am they immediately started to wind down the breakfast service informing customers breakfast was finished, pointing out that the key cards stated 10.00am despite the receptionist having pointedly explained breakfast would be extended at checkin. This place has aspirations of competing with similar properties in the area but, although it has a good location, poor service standards, lack of attention to detail and staff who struggle to understand English all conspire to leave a taste of sourness in the mouth at checkout especially at the prices they charge. The place looks good but unfortunately there is nothing to support it underneath.

    Booked in for one night to recover from a long flight and jet lag. Booked a room in the main original building and found it to be very tired and shabby. I have never stayed in a Best Western hotel where the shower cubicle was actually mouldy and the carpets were dirty. the bar area, reception, the main entrance, corridors and my room were shabby and in need of some maintenance. Every door and door frame was dirty and full of black marks and chipped paint. However the buffet breakfast was excellent and the breakfast waiter was very good. Overall not what I expected from a Best Western Hotel

    Stayed the night at this hotel lastnight for a friend's wedding and though i didn't mind the basic amenities of this hotel, the rooms have no ventilation. A simple blower fan installed in the rooms would be sufficient but it was hot and humid every where i went within the hotel. Rooms were clean and liveable but will be in need of a makeover in a few years. The grounds of the hotel were very nice. Love the waterfall by the reception. All staff very helpful. Breakfast was a simple affair lacking choice. All in all i had a great wedding night which overshadows this review.

    Stayed whilst working in the area. Check in was quick and smooth. Room I was allocated was in the outside building so back out into the rain. I have stayed here 3 times and always been put in the block and not the main hotel. The room was small but ok and the small double bed was adequate for one person. Internet fast and good sized tv. However the channels do stick now and again. I had a pizza which was good and very reasonable price for hotel food. I would stay again but hopefully be in the main building next time.

    I have stayed in lots of hotels over the UK and this has to be the worst ever. Room was so warm and small it was difficult to breathe. So i opened the window to get some air to find that the window opened out onto an industrial extractor fan from the kitchen that blew warm smelly air over the lodge rooms. This meant that it was like some form of white noise torture all night. The temperature control on the shower did not work so after being scalded needed to fill the bath with cool water to relieve the pain. Bed was lumpy and pillows flat. Walls paper thin so very communal hotel. Internet was very fast.

    My colleague and I stayed here last night having stayed many times before but we won't be staying again! My tiny, dingy and fusty smelling room was filthy and hadn't been cleaned, it was scattered with other people's toenails and debris, the bed was broken and slanted and blinds didn't fit meaning the room was floodlit all night with the street lights! My colleague had to be moved as she was faced with other people's pants on the floor of her room! Reported it to reception who were apologetic but really couldn't care less. At £80 a night we would expect better and didn't want the added bonus of pants and toenails that were thrown in for free!!

    As long as a hotel room is clean nothing else really matters for me....but when you find a pair of dirty undies in your room this is just too much(they weren't mine! )! I mean the standard of the room barely met with the standard you would expect in a roadside motel. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and quite frankly enough is enough. They did move me to another room which was of a higher standard but it was so late at night and after a long day at work I cant say I was full of beans. The lady on reception was pleasant enough and I can't fault her but I feel more compensation was needed....a large glass of red came to mind to help to calm me after this horrificly soiled find...but no such luck.

    they were helpful on arrival and sent me to my room, however the room was in a different building. On opening the door to that building there was a very unpleasant smell. It did not seem quite so bad in the room initially, but i did not sleep well as the smell eventually became overpowering. I was relieved to get out in the fresh air the next morning for my very early start. As i was booked for 2 nights, i called and complained later in the morning and requested a different room not in that block. They acceded to my request and i was given a much nicer room without the vile smell. I do hope they address the problem in that block. Overall the staff were friendly and helpful. i didn't eat there so cannot comment on the food.

Breakfast was fine although they did have a power cut over night which delayed things. Overall would recommend.

    Really warm and welcoming staff - Great location - very peaceful and quite in lovely village setting (Aspley Guise). Great room - very comfortable - Sat outside in courtyard for drinks in the sun ...really relaxing. Had evening meal in the restaurant - good food and great service. All in all very enjoyable - My new favourite MK stop over.

    Family celebration (meal + staying) not spoilt despite the efforts of a fairly shambolic hotel. Here are the grumbles... - Warm white wine (a flood was blamed but surely they have ice?) - No water on tables - Bread rolls served AFTER the starter (dished out with no choice of preference) - Candles not lit (and empty of oil anyway, so we couldn't light them either) - Salt cellar lid didn't fit resulting in VERY salty trout (we weren't offered a replacement when handing faulty item to waiter...it was on the table again at breakfast still faulty!) - The belly pork was awful, dried out but with the crackling just a sheet of soggy pigskin (I should have had the lamb shank which people loved... perhaps they were heat and serve ones from Costco?) ...... enough! I could go on! We didn't kick up a fuss at the time so as not to spoil the celebration and disappoint my father who had organised and was paying for the event. Oh I nearly forgot - One room was not available upon check in. I have been to Moore Place a few times before, it is a shame about this time it could be so much better. I get the impression that the staff are not happy in their work (or not capable) and this is the cause of the problems. Rooms great, bed comfy, big telly, receptionist lovely, breakfast good.

    A perfectly acceptable one night stay here - we would have liked even longer to explore the village (which looked very picturesque and quintessentially olde-worlde English) and Bletchley Park - with a very jolly manager, but the breakfast staff did not look/seem very happy - no smile or welcome/explanation at breakfast or tea/coffee order taken, and it was definitely dress-down Saturday for them! Double rooms in the annexe were quite small, but perfectly comfortable.

    A nice room, which was comfortable. Our issue was staff, we were made to feel we interrupted the ladies when checking in. On going to the bar staff are a bit hit and miss although the bar appears to be monitored with a camera. Looking into the restaurant for a menu, one is pounced on "what do you want" on explaining, we are told "you can't have these". When we get a menu, the substitution of common or garden for the exotic options raises a smile. We opt when staff appear for a meal in the bar. Several guests are refused entry to the restaurant while I remain at the bar waiting to be served. Apparently when its says 7pm it means it although the staff are only disappearing in groups gossiping and giggling -nice to see them happy at work -I'm still at the bar. We order, it arrives and our meal is barely warm we mention this to a passing person, who says "I'm sorry" and walks away. Breakfast, the staff are hardly pushed but it is painstaking, from waiting for one of several dirty tables to be cleared, to the wait for a pot of tea and poached eggs - we have to ask when ???? Check out, we say although you didn't raise your head or ask : we unfortunately think this about our stay ...... typically the young woman is not interested or concerned. You can pass reception at any time and no one looks, let alone raises their heads or smiles .... heaven forbid Never again, and we have to admit to having a Best Western loyalty card......

    We stayed in the cottages. A huge, clean room with plenty of space even 5 of us in it. The hotel staff were exceptional, especially Marcel. Nothing was too much trouble, every request met with a smile and delivered perfectly. Would I recommend? Of course, time and time again. You were GREAT!??

    This is the third time we have stayed here, last time was two years ago. The staff are helpful and friendly. This time we were in the cottage for a week. Great room very large, bathroom just as big with a large pedestal bath. One big negative was the pillows are no longer soft and the bed not the best, uncomfortable and a little tight for two people. Hopefully they are due for new ones soon. In spite of that we will be back.

    Booked to break up a journey from London but after recent reviews on Trip Advisor I nearly cancelled but I wonder if I was at the same hotel. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, the room was well lit, clean and with a comfortable bed and the decanter of brandy was a surprise but very welcome. Dinner service was good and the food very good although there was noise from the kitchen. A good selection on the breakfast buffet and a full English including fried bread. Very reasonable room rate and will use again when in the area.

    We arrived at the hotel full of anticipation for a great weekend exploring an area of the country we had not visited before. Check in was quick and we were given the keys to our room. On opening the door it was clear that the room had not been made up after the previous guests. The bed was unmade and there were wet towels in the bathroom. In fairness, after reporting the situation, the staff responded quickly and were very helpful but overall not a good start! Our evenings were very sociable as we were in a group of like minded people. The meals were adequate although the hotel needs to re-consider its policy of serving the same starter etc. to the whole room rather than to complete a table at a time. This avoids people at each table waiting for food to get served to others while theirs get cold!. I understand that this is more difficult to achieve but we have frequently had better service when travelling in a group, with meals that have been pre-ordered and the hotel notified of who was sitting at each table (as was the case this weekend). We often stay at Best Western hotels and I always look forward to breakfast as the choice is usually so good. However at Moore Place the breakfast was a fiasco! I accept that the hotel had two large groups of guests but there is no excuse for poor service. Fresh fruit was limited, cereal bowls and plates were at times non existent and the trays of hot food frequently ran out. We waited ages both to be asked and for the hot drinks to be delivered. I felt very sorry for the young staff who quite frankly were "run ragged" and were helpless to know what to do. Several people spoke to the "management" but little was achieved and apologies were inadequate. Would we stay again? I would consider staying again if we were visitng the area but only as a couple and only if there were no large groups booked in!

    On arrival at the hotel, we thought it looked and seemed lovely. The rooms are nice and cosy. The beds nice, big and comfy. Also the breakfast is great, buffet style home cooked fry up. All round top notch for the price you pay. But unfortunately after checking out I received a text message from the hotel stating they have taken £50 from my account for 'smoking in the hotel'. This was a terrible accusation, we are not smokers, and we are not rude people smoking in unpermitted areas. When questioning they accused us of covering fire alarms? And ash on the window sill? This was actually a joke, and it was so difficult to get it resolved. There obviously trying to rip people off, such a disappointment after such a lovely stay.

    Last weekend we stayed at the Moore Place Hotel for 3 nights. It is a lovely hotel in a nice location, with well equipped rooms. The evening meals were good value but a bit limited in choice. However the breakfasts were a disaster, quite the worst service I have experienced in 45 years of travelling! There was just in-sufficient staff to cope with the number of guests, consequently we had to wait ages for tea and coffee (25 mins on Sunday morning) and the self service breakfast bars and grill were not being stocked up, neither was the supply of plates and bowls. The main problem was they had a National Trust coach trip staying there, and they took precedence (no doubt a regular arrangement). If you are contemplating using this hotel at weekends check to see if they have a National Trust trip booked in, if so find another hotel. The management were not interested in the problem.

    Possibly one of the most uncomfortable beds that I have slept in when staying in a hotel. The mattress was harder than usual and the duvet and pillow were synthetic. The room had no air conditioning and was very stuffy. I left at 05:45 as it seemed preferable than staying in the bed. The hotel is quite dated and tired looking, not my cup of tea at all.

    The room was small, the bed comfortable and clean and was located across the access road in a modern building. The reception staff were very accommodating and helped with arrangements, looked after our equipment. The car park is of a good size but on a fair slope. The only down side was that meal trays were left by others on the corridor floors and were there all night. checks need to be made to ensure the corridors are left clean and clear. The buffet breakfast was a bit dried up on the weekday morning.

    We booked our wedding at the hotel and it was fantastic! the staff were friendly, thoughtful and highly professional. I cannot praise Miguel enough for his work on the day, making sure the hotel looked great - both for the ceremony and the reception. The rooms are excellent and the food sublime. I really cannot praise them enough. The atmosphere created by the hotel really worked on our guests - all of which seemed to have a great time - judging by some of the comments we have had since. If you are looking for a venue for your wedding - I would recommend a chat with Molly and Miguel at Moore Place!! Brilliant!

    Stayed here for one night after attending a wedding reception held at the hotel. Really can't recommend this hotel, the bathroom was like stepping back in time to the 1980's, and the bed was not comfortable at all. The room was very hot with no air con, and even with both windows open it was still an uncomfortable temperature. This was also the case downstairs in the bar and breakfast area which is all in a conservatory, this also had no air con and was sweltering, I felt sorry for the staff having to work in those conditions! The breakfast was very average and nothing special. The only redeeming feature of this hotel was the very friendly staff who could not do enough for us! At £85 a night it needs to up its game, i've stayed in much better Premier Inns.

    Hotel is a little tiered in decor but this is made up with the staff that are so friendly and nothing is to much trouble. The restaurant is nice and fresh food with a different menu most evenings. Our waitress remembered us from last visit and her service was as impeccable this time as it was last time. Had smoked salmon to start followed bumpy chicken which was not dry and full of flavour then a nice creme Brûlée and as it was nice finished with a cheese board - all of which was tasty and fresh. Breakfast is really nice and quick which is what you need when working away. All in all 8/10 2 points lost for tiered decor and a single bed (I'm 6ft 4!)

    We stayed here for a Friday and Saturday night as we were going to a wedding in Woburn. Our large room was in the main building and very clean. Good bathroom no bath but a double shower. Breakfast on the Friday was continental buffet and full English served at table. Saturday breakfast was all buffet style. All staff were friendly and helpful. Our Saturday breakfast waitress was particularly helpful telling us where to visit in the local area. We would stay again if coming to Bedfordshire.

    We stayed 3 nights as it was only a few miles where we wished to visit.After checking in to find initially had only got us for 1 night they quickly found the other two nights.We had used reward points for first night.Regretably we had to move rooms after 1st night but the new room was much better.Staff were excellent and food was good.The main downside we found was that on the friday we could not have a meal at night due to a wedding taking place.Very Poor do if you had booked dbb.Whilst the pub in village has shut there was a good indian place next door.Our new room was a little noise through the night which appeared to be a pump for possibly a central heating system running located outside but not sure.

    Stayed here for 2 nights. Room was good and pretty clean. Staff friendly but distinct lack of them! Breakfast on the Saturday was a disappointment as the one waiter on duty was elusive.     Stopped here one night whilst on business was given a stateroom in the main building. Large room with huge TV on desk and only comfy chairs so if you need to do paperwork or computer work you can forget it. Moved to room 26 a family room/ suite large room with sofa. Poorly lit bedroom. Halogen bulbs not working in bathroom rotten bath surround. Rubbish Internet Bedroom hadn't been cleaned properly. In the morning nobody in reception and I had to go into the restaurant for someone to check me out. Not upto normal Best Western standard . I wouldn't recommend this hotel and won't be returning

    I moved down to the area for work and whilst I was looking for a place to rent I stayed in the Moore Place Hotel for three weeks. The staff were very friendly, you could have conversations with them, they wouldn't just answer a question and run away like a lot of places do. The food was amazing (especially the steak) and the room was ideal for what I needed. Overall an enjoyable stay in a very clean, well looked after hotel.

    Stayed the night, as was out the area and taking my Grand Children to Woburn Safari the next day. Check in was swift and professional. Room was good. We had a family room, which was a double bed and a sofa bed. All perfectly adequate. Had a complementary Brandy left for us, which we thought was a nice touch. Room had a balcony too. Spacious bathroom, no complaints. Had a meal in the hotel restaurant which was very good and tasty. I have stayed in a Best Western years ago, and this was a major leg up on previous visits. Staff were all positive, accommodating and had their heads on the right way up. Ample parking. Keep the room card away from your mobile phone, it corrupts you entry key. That said, nothing to worry about, all good. The local village of Woburn Sands is worth a quick visit if you need shops. Very pretty area. We all loved it. We would go back.

    We are sitting in this hotel as we speak. About to leave tomorrow. We love this hotel so much that we tried to book an extra day but being the easter holidays the hotel was fully booked. Which was a shame because we really don't want to leave! We are staying in one of the cottage suites. This hotel has so much character, friendly staff. Brilliant room service. They allowed us to come with our dog, which is a bonus. We had to rush down to Milton Keynes at the last minute due to illness in the family. The hotel and surroundings have been very comforting in what is a difficult time for us. I also fell ill and needed a paramedic; the staff jumped right on it and came immediately to my aid! The first aider ran to my room immediately, I felt very grateful for the help I received. Very professional staff, amazing service. We will likely be using this hotel for family visits from now on (I promise, it won't be this eventful each time we visit!) So the hotel will be seeing us every couple of months! We even plan to pay a visit to another best Western hotel next month for a romantic vacation. It looks like we'll certainly be loyal customers of Best Western from now on.

    The hotel itself was very nice. The reception and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice :-) Very clean and nice decor. Downsides... Our room was very warm which meant having the windows open. Our room overlooked the courtyard/entrance area where there is a seating area, with tables and ash trays- we had the smell of smoke coming through our window on a couple of occasions :-( A new mattress wouldn't go a miss! The Greenhouse restaurant is quite pricey and the vegetarian options are limited. Check your bill...we spent £22 on room service but when we checked out they said I had a £90 bill to pay! That said, it was resolved very quickly, even though they could figure out why the other £68 was on there!

    The staff were very helpful and eager to assist in any way possible. Very comfortable room and great internet connection. Able to watch a film on netflix without any buffering. If you have their very affordable breakfast, I would just say dont go for the scrambled egg - it tastes of nothing (not sure how this is possible). Fried or poached eggs were fine. If you need to turn the heating down in your room (I found it too hot) turn the knob clockwise.

    On arrival i parked up in the very large carpark. Heading into the reception i was very warmly greeted by the cheerful staff. My room was up in the roof space with sloping walls. This said the room was a very good size although the work desk was a little small which was a shame because the free WiFi had a great signal and was very fast. While on the subject of size, mention must go to the TV, it was huge, a nice change to the usual tiny hotel TVs. Breakfast was a standard fair with a good mix of cold buffet and hot menu. A very good hotel for a business stopover, i shall stay again if in the area.

    We booked quite last minute on a non refundable deal which meant we stayed B&B for under £60. We arrived at around 4pm, were checked in very quickly by Claire. She was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful which was a lovely start. Had a room on the ground floor which was tucked away, but to get to it we had to pass an unsightly leak and bucket (which continually filled for our stay). Not a problem as once we were in our room that was fine. The room was quite newly decorated, but a little tatty on the edges. It was clean, and had plenty of space which was great. The bathroom was a little more dated but the shower was lovely. The complimentary brandy was a nice touch. I found the bed to be far too soft, and the room a little warm, but it was comfortable for a night. We had a few drinks in the bar, prices very reasonable for a hotel, but had to wait nearly every time as the poor barman seemed to be called from all ends of the hotel to serve us. I appreciate it is quite and it wouldn't make sense to have a bar person on waiting to serve us. Breakfast was good. We were the only diners for a long while which was fab, our food came quickly and the continental choices were a nice addition too. We would stay again given we get such a good price.

    Met our friends there for dinner along with our daughter and three year old grandson who was a bit tired & grumpy after spending the afternoon swimming at Center Parks. Therefore, even though it was around 7 PM, we were stlil a bit worried about him being in the restaurant along with other guests. But the staff were fantastic. They gave him things to do at the table such as drawing and cards to play with. And even took him for a walk around the lounge area whilst we finished our deserts. It just made it so much easier and a lot less stressful for us all. Never have I experienced such a personal touch. It totally made our family dinner a wonderful experience. Thank you to every single one of you. PS. The breakfast was wonderful as well. Good old fashioned freshly made breakfast to order.

    Winter Wedding We were delighted with the service we experienced at this hotel. Molly was an excellent wedding planner offering support and guidance before the event. On the day the hotel looked wonderful, it was spotlessly clean, warm and beautifully decorated. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Guests arriving for the wedding were able to book into their rooms on arrival. Miguel, the Maitre'D could not have been more helpful and calmly guided and supported us throughout the day and evening event. The staff worked really hard throughout the day transforming the ceremony room into the dining area for the wedding breakfast, and added extra touches to the table decorations which made the room glow on a dark late November afternoon. The food was good. It was piping hot and tasty and service was swift as it was well staffed. Members of the party with particular dietary needs were excellently catered for. A large number of the party stayed the night and although a number of the guests found the bedrooms rather hot, they also commented on the cleanliness and comfort of the bedrooms. Because of the number of guests staying the breakfast was served buffet style with a good choice of food immediately available, however an administrative error led to two guests being refused breakfast which was disappointing. I would recommend this hotel as a wedding venue without hesitation.

    Dinner in the restaurant was not what you would expect from a Best Western, quality was not there, no different to a chain restaurant. Breakfast was over priced for what was available. Rooms were good and staff were attentive, helpful and friendly.

    « Historic hotel modernised to medocrity »

    This once reasonably garland hotel has been modernised unsympathetically and is now mediocre. With a little effort some character could be restored, but not much effort is apparent. Specifically desk staff were unable to tell me in advance lead I would need to connect a DVD player to the TV in my room, the radiator was on full blast all night and not adjustable, so we had to sleep with the window wide open or melt, and all of the tables in the bar area were sticky.

    I was booked in for 9 nights. I complained on the first night about the noise. The extractor fan was very noisy and you could hear all the traffic passing. Because my room was facing the main road near a junction I could hear the traffic passing all night. I asked to move rooms and was informed all rooms were booked. After 3 nights I decided to vacate this hotel and book into another hotel.

    « Understaffed and poorly managed »

    Was pretty disappointed really. Went for a dinner function which in itself was nice enough - food was ok. The beer at the bar was a bit tangy though, almost like there was pipe cleaner still in the lines. This was possibly the reason several of my party including myself had splitting headaches later in the evening. The evening service was poor due to only one member of staff being responsible for serving drinks and manning reception. He disappeared for about 40mins at around midnight to check people in. Upon turning in for the night my room was freezing and the radiator was gurgling furiously! There was obviously a lot of air in the system so I had to turn it off. This meant it was a cold nights sleep... The room was clean and tidy and nicely decorated so that was a plus. Woke up to no heating or hot water. For which the staff discounted the stay by 10%. Not enough all considered really. Breakfast was a joke, again they seemed to be on skeleton staff and we had to wait 30mins to sit down. The food was cold and a bit manky and it took us another 30mins to get a cup of tea. Also check out the poorly washed cup below... All in all a bit of disaster and won't be staying again!

    « Ok, but would stay elsewhere next time »

    Great village location, lovely main building, but that's pretty much it. The service was fine, though the staff weren't overly friendly - but there was a wedding on, so they were very busy. Our room wasn't in the main building but on the ground floor of the 'newer', adjacent building. It was very small, a bit 'tired', and looks much better in photos (including our own) than it did in reality. The window looked out on to the hotel driveway and the back wall of the main building (with a noisy generator attached). The bathroom wasn't the cleanest I've seen, and we had no hot water for the duration of our stay. Not sure what the rooms in the main building are like, but wouldn't recommend the 'adjacent building'.

    Four of us booked in for a nights stay at this hotel to take part in a murder mystery evening with a three course dinner. We all had a great, fun time. The food and service was very good. The hotel is in a lovely village and a quiet location. We had good, clean and comfortable rooms. The only slight minus was the rooms were too hot and we couldn't adjust the temperature. We would definitely all stay on this hotel again.

    Lovely hotel, very quiet and in a nice village setting. Good value for money and would return. Friendly staff. I stayed at the weekend and the hotel seemed to be run entirely by 3 people ? receptionist, bar man and maitre d'. There might be a chef but the maitre d' might have been the chef. There is an army of cleaners too. Try and get a room overlooking the courtyard in the newer main part of the hotel. There is only one disabled parking place and the car park slopes up a hill. Ground floor rooms are available. Our luggage was taken to our room. Good choice of food on the evening menu but might get bored if there for a long time. Dinner allowance was £25. No bar menu was evident nor a wine list. Ordering cooked breakfast was chaotic- had to wait for ages to order and then the toast and coffee arrived 10 minutes before the hot food. The cold buffet section had good selection of fresh fruit/cereals but no breads/meat/cheese. The bedroom was large. Not many drawers but adequate hanging space. Radiator in the bedroom needed bleeding. Huge TV. Bed was VERY hot I think it was due to the mattress topper. Only one chair in the room and no table so I wonder what happens if you order room service. Bedroom was very dark even with all the lights on and it being sunny outside. Very bright and spacious bathroom but the heated towel rail did not work. Check out was chaotic (I did check out early). After I had left they rang and emailed me to ask why I hadn't paid for my extras even though I had checked out and I had preauthorised a card as well and I am a Rewards Member. (The hotel has since contacted me to apologise about this). I also had to ask them twice subsequent to this to send me an invoice for my prepaid D,B&B. Everywhere was very clean with the exception of the balcony which was sticky and covered in ash which walked in all over the carpet. Everywhere looked newly decorated. I wouldn't want to stay there if a wedding was taking place as the hotel is small.

    We only stayed here one night, but the whole experience was excellent and would definitely like to stay here again in the future. The room, restaurant and staff were first class and very accommodating.

    Hot with individual character, old and new wings combined. Staff very helpful and friendly, just a few niggles,e.g. bathroom loo holder half off the wall in room 22. Room comfy, nice duvet, but tucked into bed as if a blanket! A nice individual touch was a small carafe of Brandy in the room. This is apparently in every room, as is a yellow plastic duck in some room too. Breakfast usual fare, but waiter was delightful, coming round to offer fresh pastries (warm croissants) and offered me some fruit from the bowl on the breakfast table as I left.

    Booked here last minute for a wedding and I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was nice and ideal for what we needed. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Stay was only for one night but if I was back in the area again I would be booking here

    Have stayed here on several occasions. On arrival, receptionist very welcoming and informative. We were upgraded which was a lovely surprise. Room/s clean and comfortable with some extra touches like decanter of sherry; toiletries; sizeable towels; etc. Relaxing bar area. Parking close to hand.

    I booked via booking.com and tried to cancel 5 minutes later as i have chosen wrong town. They did not let me and wanted to charge 100%. Manager was not in to escalate and they did not want to call him to clarify. Wifi signal is very weak depending on the room you got.

    I recently had an overnight stay as my company was having a meeting at the hotel. On arrival the check inn was very friendly and efficient. My room had been upgraded at no extra cost. The room was room 8 very large and comfortable. Clean and the bathroom had a separate shower and bath. I ate in the restaurant for my evening meal and again very good service and the food was very good. Breakfast was also an enjoyable experience but I would say the portion of the black pudding and the fried bread was really small but the breakfast did taste nice.

    The standard at this hotel was excellent and all the staff where so friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. The shower was marvellous with two jets so you got plenty of hot water front and back - very relaxing! It is a lovely place to stay and close to Woburn and Bletchley Park.

    « Fine for a couple of nights stay »

    We used this hotel as a base to visit Bletchley Park. The location was within a few miles located in a village style area. We were accommodated in the annex to the hotel which had the disadvantage of having to walk in all weathers to the main building for the restaurant, bar and reception. Overall staff were attentive and gave the impression that they cared. We would use this hotel again when in the area but request a room in the hotel itself.

    Stayded here for business, had a good rate so thought would give it a go. I was a female travller staying on my own, I was put on the ground floor, in a building not connected to the hotel, you would think they would at least put me on 1st floor as I was alone, windows didnt seem too safe so rather nervous. Room was cold, I couldnt get warm and slept in my jumper and socks, shower was luke warm, as you can imagine at 530am this wasnt what you wanted. I also woke at around 1230am to loud banging noise coming from the bathroom which seems to be coming from pipes under the bath, couple with that I think an outhouse or something was backed onto my room and ther was also some shuffling in there. Bed was comfy but that was all I would say was good. All in all I wouldnt stay again, quite put off by the experience and will def be using the Premier Inn next time

    Ok hotel with good breakfast, dinner and wifi. No elevator so be prepared to drag your luggage up the stairs yourself. But the worst thing is that this hotel unjustly charged my card with an extra ?200! So monitor your credit card expenses very closely. I will definitely not be going back here considering the money steal.

    Myself and my wife went to Woburn Safari Park, so we wanted to find somewhere to stay, Found this place on the internet,The shower was cold and the room was a bit grubby,Also it had two televisions on the table. One must of broke down and it was just left there, It was very disappointing, if this is what the places are like, will not use again.

    My group of 15 all thought the hotel was excellent and the food superb. We were all comfortable and well cared-for; one of us had an electrical failure at 6am which was dealt with promptly. A wedding party took over the restaurant on the Saturday evening and there was disco music until midnight, but none of us heard the music and even the guests made little disturbance. The wifi in all rooms was useful and highly efficient, and our one disabled lady was happy with her ground-floor room. We would all happily stay again.

    We had our wedding here a couple of weeks ago and have nothing but praise for this fantastic hotel. The hotel is well decorated and was ideal for our small wedding and larger evening reception. Miguel our wedding coordinator completely put us at rest and handled everything superbly so our day went smoothly all the other staff were warm friendly and went out of their way to help. The food was perfectly cooked and the reception buffet was complemented on by our guests. Would highly recommend this hotel .

    Stayed here two weeks ago - Good stuff - staff are lovely and friendly - breakfast staff especially and breakfast (full English) was very nice. Lovely surroundings over all and great restaurant next door ( Blue Orchid). Village hotel lovely relaxing surroundings. bad stuff - stayed in top corner of hotel - room was cold - shower in the morning was tepid at best (and I ran it for ages!!) - phone didn't connect to colleagues room had to use my mobile. Came home with a cold and developed into a chest infection - was it down to the room and the shower?? who knows but I know it didn't help!! Bed and room were comfortable and clean.

    Our room was comfortable with everything we needed for a two night stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking was easy. We will stay again if in the area. The restaurant menu was limited so we ate elsewhere on both nights. Tip: If there is a wedding party staying and you are not part of the group, ask for a room where you won't be affected by people leaving at and after mid night.
