Best Western Hotel Madison

Had a great stay here with my daughter. Spacious room, good bed, clean. Quiet, so good sleep quality. Lovely breakfast with a lot to choose from. Location is excellent - just a few minutes walk from Milano Centrale and shuttle busses to/from both Malpensa and Linate. Couldn't ask for more.

Main railway station nearby and also Airport Coach departure point. Decided not to pay Euro 15 for breakfast and found excellent cafe 100 yards away.

This property is quiet, clean and most hospitable. The staff is excellent, helpful, and compassionate.

Excellent staff. Room was fine, not huge but suitted me. Not far from train station, airport bus, subway and double decker tour buses.

The staff at the Madison is fantastic. Helpful and friendly! They made up for the fact that the outside of the hotel is being redone although I had no problem what so ever with this. No noise, nothing.

Room size is very small and they don't have AC in the room which at time leads to suffocation. I had to request change of my room because of the renovation work going on outside not allowing to opening of windows.

Friendly staff, good location less than 5 min to Milano Centrale. Convenient to all areas of Milan including airport by train or bus. Breakfast was simple but OK Room was decent size and had nice black slippers ;)

The BW Madison is a good standard hotel. Clean, tidy and everything works as it should. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bed is comfortable and it's located near to the station. Would recommend it for business or family travel.

Place 5min walk from central station. Very comfortable, lovely staff, clean and great choice of breakfast. The rooms are big enough to accommodate 2 people, and the bathroom offers nice toileries. Although central, very quite street. I did not use the parking lot.

Hotel was well positioned near to Centrale station which made it easy to get around Milan. Room was large and very comfortable. Staff were exceptional and could not be more helpful and welcoming. Great selection available for breakfast. Would definitely go back and stay in this hotel.

Good hotel with a very good location close to the trainstation with connections to the airport and near the central city. The breakfast was very nice with a lot of options. The personnel was friendly and service minded.

Well stayed and good service. Disappointed by outside wall repairing. The space of restaurant for breakfast is small. Communication between hotel and TripAdvisior was not smooth, so hotel asked us breakfast charge, in sipte we booked hotel including breakfast.

A very good choice in Milan. The room was comfortable, the wifi worked well, everything in the bathroom was fine. The breakfast was good. Service by the staff was good. I would gladly come back to the hotel.

We have enjoyed oyr stay at the the hotel, the rooms are large modern and comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful, my wife needed medical assistance early in the morning and the receptionist was extremely helpful, breakfast was good, the hotel is centrally locates, good value for money.

Checkin was smoothly done, we got a nice room, clean and comfortable. The customer service is great, the employees of the hotel are polite and always willing to help. Filipo was nice to take of his time to advise us how to visit the most of the city! Highly recommend if staying in Milan!!!

honestly you cannot pin anything wrong in this nice hotel. From the check in which took 3 minutes with a big welcoming smile from Martina the receptionist who was extremely helpful throughout with the other staff, to the perfectly sized room, very clean , big bathroom, very comfortable bed, good AC , efficient house keeping and the Location. 3 minutes walk to the tube, 2 minutes to central station and 10 minutes to an area with a good restaurants. The only thing which may get better is the breakfast, cannot default it but can get better. Fresh fruit poor, no Milano Mortadella!!!!, cake quality is poor . And at 7.30 am one day the waiter says no more boiled egg is available and he was not happy I asked the Chef about it. It was strange but did not upset me. I had a very pleasant stay

When I missed my train, the receptionist was very nice and helped me with the logistics to get to where I needed to go. Beyond the cleanliness of the room, it's important to note the great customer service that was provided, and the help was was given to me. Not to mention the friendly staff at breakfast time. It was super helpful that they spoke English too. Great hotel and experience.

The staff was very attentive to make our short stay a success. Pointed out things to visit and cared to explain short routes to points of interest. Breakfast was very enjoyable. Hotel is not to far away from the railway station.

The Best Western Madison was recommended by the City Center BW, which we had found very comfortable. Our room was hardly larger than the bed, making it very close for two adults, The room was clean, and the bathroom was also very clean. Filippo, at the front desk was fantastic, making our stay better than it would have been had he not been so friendly and helpful

A lovely hotel. I don't think I have ever stayed in a cleaner one! The room was perfect for the three of us (2 adults and a child) and the hotel staff were fantastic- really helpful and friendly. There is a good selection of food at breakfast.

Horrible! Don't ever go here! The hotel is going under reconstruction and they are accepting visitors nevertheless! After a long way we came to the a small crumpled room, and there are builders walking outside the window! They are actually building a hotel while we are staying here! They are working with drills and hammers non stop! This is an absolutely disgusting experience! Awfull, cheap, greedy hotel!

Clean and silent. Small rooms, but quite OK if you only intend to sleep in them. Quality food, tasty options in the breakfast menu. Very friendly personnel, extraordinary English spoken at the reception desk.

We spent a few days here recently whilst in Milan. The hotel is clean and well positioned, providing a lovely breakfast also each morning. Staff friendly and helpful . Rooms very non descript, but adequate for our needs. No views in our room, looked out onto bins and a car park .

Our stay was for 5 days. The location of the hotel was very convenient. Only 3 minutes walk to the station which was great. We arrived early but were allowed to check in. Our room on the 4th floor was very nice. Unfortunately there was a problem with the hot water taking up to fifteen minutes to come through. This problem was quickly resolved by a VERY helpful and friendly person at reception called Filippo. He tried his best to move us to another room but since the hotel was full we remained there for 1 night only. The following morning Filippo upgraded us to a junior suit on the ground floor that was very comfortable. All the staff were helpful but Filippo's professionalism made our stay even better.

The hotel was in a great location for Centrale Station and travel options in and around Milan. Bedroom was very clean but super tiny! Bathroom was clean and a good size, but the water pressure was terrible. Breakfast was ok, a good choice of continental fayre, but cheap fruit juices - tasted like Sunny D! It was not cheap to stay here (Milan isn't cheap to stay in general) and I didn't feel I had value for my money. Overall opinion is it's not bad, but it's not great either!

In an excellent location between the major rail stations with good quality rooms & attentive staff. The breakfast offered ranged from meats & cheeses, cereals, fruit, pastries or scrambled eggs and bacon.

This hotel is located next to Milano central station a dangerous location at night. Full of refugees that Italian state can't accommodate so they hang out and grab what they can get - just like the Middle Ages. So I was mugged just outside the hotel - no one truly cared, no cameras nothing I am diamond but the upgrade was nothing I could hear the couple arguing next door. Scaffolding out of window. Felt poor and miserable

I've stayed in Madison each time am in Milan for over eight year, staff are courteous and always willing to help, proximity to central station is amazing and the rooms are spacious which is a plus to me

I visit Milan often for work purposes. This time I was slightly unprepared and had a few more requests than usual for the staff. They always proved very helpful. Good job! I have nothing to say regarding the cleanness of the rooms, they are spotless (congrats from a germaphobe). The one slight thing I would recommend is to add slippers to the rooms as standard rather than on requests (always free of charge and available from the staff), and the possibility to control the room temp. independently.

The staff were lovely especially the two ladies on the reception, very welcoming and helpful. However I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel at the moment as they are undergoing building works and the scaffolding is very noisy during the night in the wind and also the builders early in the morning stood at my windows. The room was very small and very noisy location. The breakfast was also very limited. However it is in a great place to reach everything you need to see in milan with great train and metro links.

Stayed for one night for business. Major problem with the heating, the whole hotel was uncomfortably hot. Reception staff moved my room quickly and efficiently but second room was still very warm. Staff on reception and in the restaurant were very nice though and did everything to help. Used the conference room for a meeting and the AV etc was perfect.

Very clean no fuss easy hotel for couple of days. Room was ready before the 2PM check-in time. The best part was…the location! Just 100 metres away from Milano Centrale (Milan Central Station) with plenty of cafe and restaurants choices at the Mercato. Also easy access to the Milan central city as we walked easily to all the attractions were. Definitely will come back in the future…thank you!

Location is accessible and near to Milano Centrale Station. The exterior of the hotel is under renovation and it's a bit hard to find given that the hotel name is blocked by the scaffolding. Clean and compact room with complimentary amenties such as kettle, toiletries, coffee, tea and a bottle of water. However, it was quite noisy as my room faced the street, even though I requested for a room with quieter facing. I can hear the sound of trams running past from day break to late night.

Fantastic hotel very central location only minutes from train station. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Everyone took the time to speak to us and help us with directions. The rooms were spacious and clean. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to explore Milan as it is a good base for this city.

We stayed here during our 3 days in Milan from London. We wanted to stay by Milano Centrale as we planned a day trip to Lake Como on day 2 and this hotel was in a great location - just walk down the road and you can already see the station. The 3 person room on the ground floor was lovely, very spacious, for the three of us in 3 single beds, large dressing area including a walk in wardrobe with sliding door (perfect for a bit of privacy to dress in when the bathroom was occupied). Plenty of power sockets and lovely complementary toiletries. It was a bit cold during the night, so we called and asked for extra blankets. Check in was smooth, we arrived an hour early and as the room was ready we were able to check in and start our day. Friendly staff who provided a lot of information upon check in, and answered the reception phone very quickly when we called from the room. The room service Tiramisu was so delicious - be aware, there is an additional delivery charge to what is printed on the menu in the room, also a 'standard' room tax charge upon check out - I think it was 5€ per night extra. We didn't spend too much time in the room, as we were out exploring Milan, but it was the perfect space to come back to after long tiring days. I would stay here again if ever in Milan.

The room felt out of date and a bit claustrophobic. Nowhere to open up the suitcase except on the bed. Bath was nice. Liked the bidet and felt much more spacy. Ok breakfast for an Italian hotel. Good service in reception and house holding.

The only thing that was slightly bothersome was that the room was warm (you could only get heat in your room in November) and we had to leave the windows ooen at night, in order to sleep comfortably. That sai, the room and bathroom were very nice and the frint desk recommended and made reservations for us at a magnificent restaurant, Il Tavolino. We ate lunch there the first day and dinner there our last night. Wonderful food, wine, and service.

Location is very close to the central train station. Staffs are very nice and helpful. Although it is not near the Doumo but still in a walking distance. Optional to have breakfast with a reasonable price.

Sometimes i come to this hotel and forget how bad service is in front desk. Always rude People receiving guests . You try to understand something and i treat like dum. The dont know i do around 200 nights a year in hotels

Tea & Coffee facilities poor in room. Our family room had a window that only opened on a tilt. The bathroom window opened but you had to be careful you didn't bump your head on it. Breakfast was a bit repetitive. Staff friendly, but overall the hotel a little tired.

The rooms are very spacious and clean. I booked a single room and i can say that it reached my expectations! The bed was so soft and I slept really well during the night. The staff is also extremely friendly, nice and ready to help you at any moment.

Easy walk from the central train station (I was on a train itinerary). While this feels like a business hotel, it was certainly fine for a leisure stay albeit in a more sleepy neighbourhood. It's at least a 30 minute fast-paced walk to the heart of Milan. But less than 15 minutes to Bosco Verticale and the Porta Garibaldi and Porta Nuova neighbourhoods where there are some great restaurants and contemporary parks. Buffet breakfast is very good and the room was comfortable and well-presented.

We stayed at the hotel Madison for just one night and it was perfect. Near to the station, the hotel is not new but perfectly maintained and with the addition of modern comforts. Welcome by the reception guys was efficient and friendly. At lunch they got interesting and very reasonably priced proposals. We will go back!

Location is great: 3min walk from central station. Room not too big but sufficient for 1 person. Some lights did not work in the room. Bathroom is perfect, good shower and lot of space. Personally, I don't need clean towels everyday. Not too noisy, staff was kind and always available.

Everyone and everything was spot, only complaint was bottled water in room should be free. It's in an excellent location for going about city close to underground and train station went to football match and lake como, got to both no problem from hotel.

The reception staff, has a clear lack of sympathy with the costumers, when asked for the receipt I was answered this is what Italy law says if you do t wanted is your problem… I only asked if the ticket was the receipt, usually is a A4 sheet… every morning waiting for the taxi at 8:00 the cleaning team was cleaning the entrance to the clients foots that were waiting for the taxi.

Hotel was very clean and updated. Staff nice and helpful. We arrived quite early and our room was ready. Very pleasant surprise. Quiet location. Two blocks from airport bus stop and main train station. Great little inexpensive restaurant on the corner for a quick meal and close to two metro stops on the yellow line which takes you to directly to the Duomo. Would stay again.

First trip to Italy, a very nice hotel with friendly staff who listened to all our questions. I have very good memories of his stays, if I come back to Milan I would come back here. Thank you very much for the welcome !

Best Western Madison is situated at a 5 minute walking distance from the Milano Central Station and is best located for both Business & Casual Travelers who would not like to waste time commuting in and around Milan.

If you like capsule hotels, this is for you. Rooms are ridiculously small. There is zero space to put down a single suitcase. There is no refrigerator in the room. There is no place for a flatscreen television except on the ceiling over your bed. This place is definitely not for business travelers. This is as close to a capsule hotel as it gets.

3 night stay without television, water pressure and nothing done by hotel to fix. Shower had mould and no water pressure. Asked for ice and told to wait 4 hours till 7.30 when restaurant open. TV not working from day 1 and never fixed despite requests. Won't stay there again. Only positive was its location but many more hotels in area I would stay in next time

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellentand convenient location about 3-4 blocks from stop for Malpensa airport buses. Area feels safe with people out and about around Central Station. Easy access to variety of eateries at the Mercato Centrale attached to the train station. Rooms were clean and functional, although decor is functional, comfortable, but not particularly stylish. Hot breakfast included in our rate included eggs, steamed vegetables, array of breads, cheeses and hams--certainly more than sufficient to give you a good start for the day.

Mistakes happen, we were double charged for the room. We called the hotel and they asked us to submit documentation. I sent 3 emails with pictures and bank statements and confirmation emails and they never bothered to return any of them. Thankfully our credit card company was kind enough to handle the situation but this was 100% on their end and it's incredibly rude to just ignore a customer like that. The room itself was pretty standard, a little dirty in the bathroom and kind of dark in the main room but other than that it was pretty basic lodging for the area. We would not stay again, I think for the price you could have a better experience somewhere else.

Convenient for Centrale station though in a dismal side street. As you'd expect from a Best Western, perfectly acceptable service and accommodation. All immaculately clean room and excellent shower. We didn't have their breakfast, opting to have this in the rather wonderful Mercado Centrale under the station.

Telephone was not working and wash basin in washroom was choked in the first room. This room was changed subsequently. In second room, AC water was leaking from the ceiling at the entrance. I complaint to the reception immediately however the only effort they made by putting towel on wet floor. Reading light was also not working.

Madison Hotel was nice to enjoy a variety of delicious breakfasts. In addition, there was a key card exclusively for guests, so it was possible to worry less about outsiders entering, and the room was clean and the floor was soft, so I wanted to stay for a few more days. However, in the case of toothpaste and toothbrushes, it is regrettable that they would have been placed in the bathroom in advance according to the number of people. However, it is clear that it is a hotel with high-quality services overall!

Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff located within walking distance from Milan Centrale. The rooms are small and a little run down but the beds are comfortable and the hotel is on a quiet street so it's easy to get a good night's sleep.

Very nice and clean hotel super close to the Milan Centrale trainstation. I stayed in 1-person-room which had a spacious bathroom and clean shower. Cleaning was every day. Breakfast was good enough, nothing special but you could choose from sweet and salty stuff. In an area where there are few restaurants and a subway station 4min-walk away. All in all everything you need.

Small rooms, very weak air conditioning, flooded sink, Inexperienced receptionist with poor organization and communication, good breakfast but overall a bad experience. Not recommended and won't visit

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, and we recommend to any one who visits Milan to stay here. Very good location, comfortable and clear room, good services, and good breakfast. We really enjoyed to stay.

Really liked our experience. The room which we took first was very large and clean. But we wanted to smoke, so they changed our room with another one whic had a balcony. They helped us so much, thanks for everything.

Great base for exploring Milan and the Italian Lakes due to proximity to Central Station and Metro to the historical centre. Good Breakfast and friendly staff Rooms clean and had everything we needed Air conditioning really was a godsend.

The receptionists were extremely kind and helpful in many ways. Appreciate their service. They offered great advice and assistance when we were awaiting our lost luggage to be found by the airlines. And they were willing to provide ongoing assistance even though the luggage did not arrive when we checked out

The BW Madison Hotel was clean and quiet with easy access to Central Station for tours, airport transport, and metro to Duomo. Helpful staff! I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Milan!

This was a very comfortable hotel, convenient for both Milano Centrale and Garibaldi train stations. We were moved here from the hotel we had originally booked, just around the corner. Despite this confusion the staff were very helpful and got us settled in. Rooms very clean with good selection of toiletries.

Nani, in-charge of breakfast is very accommodating especially she knows already I will ask for ice for my tumbler. Very nice of her to serve us cappuccino too. Breakfast is also a plus served by the hotel! The hotel receptionist was very kind to sell beer even if the restaurant was closed already. Will go back. Grazie!

We were doing an overnight quick trip to Milan, and this hotel was perfect for that. Perfect location for transport, clean and spacious suite, comfortable bed and amazing breakfast selection. Was very impressed.

Hotel was great, staff very friendly and helpful. Close to Central Station. We upgraded to a suite and was very pleased with the amenities. Room very clean and comfortable. Not much of a look out from the windows, but being so close to transport this was no problem.

We were at the hotel for 4 nights with two rooms - 1 double and 1 triple for 3 teen girls. Our double was very good, great bathroom and shower, toiletries, large towels. Beds were a little firm but with nice bedding. The breakfast was great - lots of choices. The best things about the hotel were the helpful and friendly staff and they had valet parking next door (additional cost). It was close to the central rail station for public transit into the center of Milan and the Mercado dining area of the train station was phenomenal. The air conditioning did not work in two rooms they assigned to the daughters, however, they finally put them in a suite without any additional charge. They were accommodating.

For a hotel so conveniently located near the Train Station with its important links to the city's airports, breakfast time starts at 7:30am? You can't be serious. The rest was good. Staff is kind and professional.

I stayed for five nights with my 9 year-old son. We received such a friendly welcome from Fabio and Christian on reception that I decided I loved the hotel even before I'd seen the room! The room was the perfect temperature for sleeping - great air conditioning - and so peaceful too. It was hard to believe we were bang in the middle of Milan. The hotel is very close to the central station and Metro, making it a perfect place for day trips, not only within Milan but across the surrounding region too such as Lake Como. The bathroom was modern and has been refurbished recently to a high standard. The beds were really comfortable - we both slept well. We found the fridge in the room very useful. There is an Aldi round the corner so we stocked up on fruit etc. The only thing the room lacked was usb charging points. Breakfast is lovely - a wide choice of food available. Staff are friendly and approachable in the restaurant area. When we return to Milan this hotel will be our first choice.

The hotel is very well communicated. It is near Centrale and Sondrio subway which brings you directly to Duomo. The staff was very nice and friendly. They are well-informed about the city and are very flexible. The room was very clean and well furnished. Great air conditioning system. They are also offering free beer at the lounge area. I had a great stay at the hotel! I will surely come again.

We stayed for one night at the Hotel Madison and were allocated a suite. This was clean, well equipped, comfortable and quiet. The reception staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful and looked after us very well. Breakfast was fantastic and highly recommended. The location is brilliant - near to the central station but easy to drive too. We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to visit again (especially as Milan is a wonderful city and we'd love to return.) Thanks for a great stay.

A really nice hotel, the location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from Milano Centrale. Everything was great, except the view from the rooms with uneven number. You should ask for rooms with street view. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

Location was perfect for our purposes-good connections to attractions (Sondrio Metro station was near, about 200 m) and excellent location to make a day trip to Como (from Central Station to Varenna by train; and a ferry connection from Varenna to Bellaggio).

Hotel is in a great location 1 block from Milan Central train station so you can literally igo anywhere from. Including getting a shuttle bus to the airport in front of the train station. Rooms are clean and reasonably priced. Word word word word word word word

Good location, smooth check in, decent breakfast, not so happy about the view from the window (in fact no view at all). Funny smell in the room. Also, they charged the credit card used to guarantee the booking, without announcing, despite the fact that I would have prefered to pay cash.

there was a constant noise coming from outside at the back of the hotel. Ithink it had to do with the ventilation instalation of the hotels restaurant. ( i saw a big airtube going up) the dubble glazing of the windows did dampen this noise sufficiantly . But at night such constant noises are perseved as a little bit louder.

Room with a view..........checked in this afternoon, my room was ready early, thanks for that. In my rush to get unpacked and out sightseeing I really didn't take too much notice. Fast forward a few hours I showered, and like other people have said the water pressure is not too good. The air conditioning makes a huge amount of noise without really lowering the temperature so I decided to open the windows. I should have realised when there is vynil over them that something might be amiss. Now, I wasn't expecting a view of the Duomo or anything like that but I was truly shocked, see pics. I'm tired, have unpacked and just haven't the energy to complain but in many years of travelling this is the worst.

BW Madison is located 5 minutes walk from the central railway station where arrival from Malpensa airport is handy (ticket 13€). From Madison it is easy to walk to the main shopping street Corso Buenos Aires and f.ex. to Duomo (appr. 3 kilometers) - or take a tram, f.ex. No. 1 leaves quite near from the railway station and goes next to Duomo. Madison is very clean and breakfast was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed our stay at Hotel Madison which was in an ideal location for our stay in Milan. Great breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff. We did have a problem one night with a very noisy TV from the next room but when I eventually rang down to reception they dealt with the problem very quickly and efficiently. Overall a very pleasant stay and would go back again. Thank you.

Good standard budget hotel and very convenient for the main station. Pleasant, helpful staff with good command of English; clean comfortable room with well fitted en-suite; provision for making tea/coffee and complimentary bottle of mineral water. Well worth what I payed.

The hotel is on a quiet street corner, but within 5 minute walking distance of the central station, even closer to the airport shuttle bus stop. The bed is somewhat firm and could be a bit more comfortable.

The hotel is an ideal location close to the main railway station 5 minute walk and other transport links. It was very quiet the hotel was clean and well maintained, the staff were friendly and helpful. We orginally booked this hotel for a visit in March 2020 but couldn,t go because of covid the booking was non refundable but we were goven a voucher for the amount of the booking and kindly gave us up until the end of March 2022 to use it.

I had a great time the staff could not have been more helpful and it's near central Milan. Breakfast was great and the rooms had everything I needed. Would stay again if I am in Milan Highly recommended

I spent a night at this hotel in February 2022. I lost a pair of very expensive hearing aids.....3 emails later there is no response. Maybe they didn't fond them but it would be nice to know that they looked for them.

Hotel was neat and clean. Service excellent, receptionist booked a brilliant restaurant for me. I loved the bathroom in my room. Room size moderate, but you don't really need a bigger one. No gym, breakfast food not very good.

The room was very nice, very clean when we got here and also everyday they changed towels, sheets and cleaning everything! Also had a very big tv with the ability to connect your phone and watch whatever you want! The service and the people the work here are excellent, very polite and helpful. The breakfast had everything you needed and equipped with new technology items (like smart coffee makers etc.). The outdoor space for the breakfast is a little bit rough but it's alright! Everytime you need something you have to go at tbe reception. Staff is very unfriendly. They would not assist you. I have left my cards in the room but they had responded in a very unlikely manner. They dont care really..

The location is so convenient. The central train station, underground stations, and tram stop are all within 5 minutes walk. Many shops and restaurants around the conrer. The front desk is informative and helpful. The breakfast buffet included is nice.

I had such a great stay. The rooms were clean, the staff were very helpful and polite and the location was great. Two metro stations are nearby, there's even a supermarket a few streets down. The breakfast was nice too. I wish I could have stayed there for longer. I have no complaints only praises.

We stayed here for our one night in Milan before flying back to the U.S. The hotel was a 5 minute walk to the train station. More importantly, this was a very nice hotel. Clean, well decorated and an extremely professional staff, this hotel was a great way to end a three week vacation to Italy

Great convenient hotel to stay situated right next to the central station for onward travel and also metro for getting around easily in Milan. Good varied breakfast and friendly staff. Check in/check out very efficient and room clean and comfortable.

First time in Italy and this hotel is less than 5 minutes walk to the central station. Lovely staff, If I was visiting Milan, would stay again! The views from the 2nd floor aren't great, but that didn't impact my stay. The hotel is on a side street, so I wasn't surprised ☺️

Situated right next to the central train station, breakfast is decent and the staff is nice. There are only Italian channels on TV. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The central location allows you to travel easily by subway or regional trains

This hotel is in a great location, it's super close walking distance to the metro where we took a train from Milan to Venice. The staff were really helpful and friendly, too. The rooms were comfy and spacious for 3 adults. I definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Milan and who doesn't mind taking the metro or a taxi into the city centre.

Staff are always friendly and the location near to the central station is great. Great coffee at breakfast and nice bar. The rooms are always clean but fairly small everything you need for business with good wifi and working desk. Kettle in all rooms for tea and coffee

We choose Best Western because of the great photo and good reviews. Actually this experience was terrible! The room was very bad , smell very ugly, the floors was broken . The personal from concierge told me that they are sorry and they can offer me a free breakfast. Very Bad services !

Comfort, refinement and politeness are the best way to describe what Best Western Hotel Madison is. Thanks to its beautiful atmosphere, I completely felt at home! I went there for a meeting, had lunch at the Mad'son Restaurant (a mouth-watering meal!) and stayed there for two nights in a very comfortable room. The proximity to the Milano Centrale Station is another highlight. I also asked for the laundry service at the reception desk and they quickly helped me with my stuff. Breakfast was very satisfying and everything was good. I guess I will come back for a future trip in the amazing Milan. See you soon Best Western!!!

Great location for the train station. Quiet and clean. Nice breakfast with a good variety of food. Friendly staff. The room was spacious and clean. Close to some local restaurants. The room was cleaned daily.

Stayed for 3 nights as part of a cruise package. We had a triple room that was very spacious and even had a walk in robe. Location is great - 100m from the main railway station and we did several long train trips so this was ideal. About 10 mins by taxi to main shopping area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only negatives - limited menu in the restaurant (though plenty of cafes close by - recommend the one on the corner), and the shower wasn't great. The shower head would not stay in position and was then moved by the cleaners every day.

We were at the hotel for just a night. We chose it simply because of the proximity to the train station since we had to catch an early morning train out. The hotel was also good enough to pack us a take-away breakfast since the breakfast service only started after 7 am. The rooms are mid-sized and clean. Nothing to complaint about. However being close to the main station meant being about 30-minute walk away from the main centre of town but we knew that and chose as per our priority.

Very close to central terminal which made it so convenient while arriving to Milan by train and While departing to the Orio al seiro Bergamo airport (by a shuttle bus beside the terminal). The closeness to the terminal is not a negative point at all (compared to Roma termini for example) because the hotel is located in a clean, quiet street, away from the fuss of the terminal. Access to the central area of Milan is so easy by metro. The hotel itself is quite cozy and the room given to us had plenty of space. The staff was kind and the breakfast was very good. I will definitely stay in this hotel if I go to Milan again.

Had great stay experience in overall. No recognition for BW Elite member though. They should add breakfast service (even a continental) for free that makes a stay more enjoyable. Its location is very good as it close to the central station. It takes only 3 min by foot.

We only stayed here 2 nights on the way home. Handy position near train station and metro, to get into the town centre. Nice clean hotel, staff friendly and helpful. We had breakfast included , which was worth the extra. Not great choices but enough. Room we had on 3rd floor very quiet. We found it to be a quiet hotel. If ever in Milan would stay here again.

The guest suite on the first floor needs some renovation, especially the bathroom. There were large black mold in the bath tub area. I can't believe my eyes when I saw it. It was so obvious but they didn't clean it up before they let guest in. And there was this obnoxious smell once you walk into the hallway and the guest room. Can't make out what the smell was. It might be some cleaning agent. It didn't go away for the two nights we were there. The location was good, right next to the central train station.

This is a nice hotel in a very convenient location for the station and metro. It's a fairly quiet area with some good bars and restaurants nearby. It's opposite a beautiful church. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice with a good range of food. The bedrooms are variable. We had two. One had been modernized with a nice bathroom, comfy bed and was spacious. It had a nice view. But it was a noisy room and woke me up a few times. The other which was a suite, was more dated and in need of updating. It had no view other than the car park which was a shame. But it was a fairly quiet room. I probably wouldn't stay here again but it wasn't bad really.

Excellent staff went out of their way to help and make our stay pleasant. Convenient location to train station. Restaurant is not that great, but other place nearby that are good. I would stay again - price was good.

The hotel as an overall look is good, it has an everyday clean service and good breakfast. The location is also good (near the central station in a 5 minute walking distance) and quiet. I was not happy with the half board service (breakfast and dinner) and the waiter's behavior but the rest of the people were really polite and helpfull.

On arrival after a 30 hour flight at 9:30am the staff went out of their way to get at least one of our rooms ready. They provided space to get changed and freshen up. Breakfast was good (especially coffee) and the location is awesome - just a few steps from the train station, restaurants and open top bus stop. A great 2 night stop before heading out of the city.

We choice this hotel for its proximity to the Central Train Station and were very pleased with the hotel and comfort of the room. The bus to Malpensa Airport ( MXP) is just up the street and a metro stop is in the train station putting all of central Milan a short walk away. We will stay here again if ever in Milan.

Good accomodation for a quick stop over. Located close to the main Milan Train station & metro. Close walking proximity to shops and local attractions. Lovely buffet breakfast. The staff here were accomodating & the rooms clean (family of 4 between 2 rooms)

We stayed in BW Madison for two nights, to finish off our trip in Italy, train station very close and within walking distance, airports easily reached by bus. A selection of restaurants on the door step, one being a Vietnamese which we tried and enjoyed. Staff were extremely friendly and professional, good choices for breakfast and coffee made to order which I really appreciated. Room was at the front of the building and we found it very quiet. We would recommend this hotel, and return if we ever make Milan our destination again.

Hotels was very close to main train station, nice staff, clean rooms, good tv and channels, great wifi, good breakfast. It was perfect for our one night stay. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again!

Made res for hotel to cap off our visit to Italy months in advance. The room we were given was directly above the restaurant and lounge. Major noise issue long into the night. Bathroom stank of sewer.

This hotel was adequate. There is no luxury here. However, it is clean and overall neat within the rooms. The hallway needs some repair as some floor tile was chipping and could use some detailed cleaning. Its elevators are too small and when 3 people are on the elevator personal space is severely violated. The breakfast is good. The staff is courteous, efficient, and helpful.

I was blown away by the friendly staff who in every way went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The hotel was clean, neat, and very comfortable. I could not ask for anything better in a hotel. Would definitely recommend!

If arriving by train, this is a handy hotel. Only 5 or so minutes walk. It's not much to look at outside but inside is nice and the rooms are clean, fairly spacious and comfortable. On the fourth floor we had small terrace off our room which was great. Little water pressure issue with shower....certainly not wasting water! It's a long way from Milan's main attractions but there is a subway train system close by.

Great hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Close to train station. Quiet area so no worries about getting a night sleep. Rooms were exceptional clean and stylish and good value. I wi choose this hotel again on return to Milan and highly recommend it.

Great location! Just less than 5 minutes walk from north exit of The centrale station. Lobby is small but clean, neat, well maintained and decent. Reception staff were friendly. They gladly and patiently gave us really useful recommendations on nearby day trips. Room was not very big but sufficiently big. Definitely no problem to open our suitcases. Toilet was spacious and clean. Toiletries were provided. Cleaning staff politely greeted us in the morning and asked for permission to clean our room. We didn't try the breakfast there but there was a lovely family style cafe just around the corner of the street and definitely recommended.

My friend and I stayed here in a twin room for three nights in April. As this is a chain hotel there was nothing unique about it which is to be expected. The room was spacious, beds were comfortable (one pillow made me a bit sad), bathroom clean and the amenities all what you would expect. We were room only so breakfast came at a 10€ supplement daily which was okay and the selection vast. The reception staff helpful, railway station a 5 minute walk, subway less and trams everywhere. It was okay, nothing....wow. The Ronseal of hotels.

Clean and modern hotel on a side street less than three minutes from the train station. So close to many restaurants, streetcar lines and convenience stores. Super quite and a great value. Fast check in and courteous staff.

If you are looking to use the Centrale Milan Railway system and underground Metro, this hotel fits the bill. Less than 5 minute walk to the station plus the Airport Express buses are located outside the railway station. The Best Western brand ensures that your room will be clean, modern and comfortable. The bathroom is small with a mini-shower-stall. Good buffet breakfast with the usual - cereal, eggs, bacon, cold cuts, juices and hot beverages.

Exceptional service and larger than normal rooms. Less than 10 minutes on foot from Centrale and 3 minutes from Sondrio station (yellow line). Neighbourhood is more residential which means good grocery stores, bakeries and meat shops. You need to travel a bit for better restaurants but it is easy. All staff speak English. This is the view from our room (206).

Near the central station. The location is very good but because of that the surround cleanness is not good. The inside of hotel is acceptable. The breakfast is good not excellent. I they have to add some hot dish a little more. But the espresso coffee selection was very nice. The room is small but similar with other hotels at Milan.The kindness of front desk was good. But I asked several question to find out some shop and failed to found out even I look around along with their recommandation.

This is now my regular hotel in Milan. The staff are welcoming, the breakfast coffee and service is great and the rewards scheme is the best out of all of the chains. The hotel is very close to 2 metro stations and the area is quiet even though so close to the central station. As a solo female traveler I feel safe and welcomed!

This hotel is in a great location, close to central train station and we had a fantastic view from our room, facing the church. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and the staff were very attentive. It is a great base for a short city break.

Just back after a weekend stay at this hotel. The hotel was beautiful and clean with lovely helpful desk staff. The hotel is situated in a very quite location but still within a5 min walk from the Central Train Station. Food was lovely also with very helpful bar staff. I would say that my only gripe was the disclosure that there was a 5 Euro city charge per person per night when I checked out. I did not know that this was a standard charge in Milan and so possibly would have been useful to know at the point of checking in before the cash has dried up :) Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.

We recently stayed at Best Western Madison for two nights. The hotel is conveniently located in walking distance to Milano Centrale station and bus exchange, with shuttle buses to the airport. The area did appear somewhat sketchy though and possibly unsafe at night. Overall the staff were friendly and helpful. The complimentary wifi was appreciated, as was the generous sized elevator. The room was standard size. The bathroom was quite big, however despite placing the sign on the door, we were only provided with one towel each for the two nights. The shower pressure was also quite weak. The room was mostly quiet in regards to road noise however there was a pervading, intermittent banging noise throughout the entire stay that we could not identify. The bed was quite hard also. As such, this coupled with the noise led to poor sleep. We also had difficulty turning the heat down in the room so it became quite hot and stuffy, and opening the windows let in traffic noise. The major let-down was the food. We ordered room service a couple of times including pizza, two types of pasta, and steak. The pizza (when it was actually available) was mostly fine but was only available on one night. The pastas were lacklustre in flavour. The steak was very tough, fatty, and inedible. My partner ordered a toasted sandwich and it was burnt (see photo). The bread provided was also stale and disappointing. I also think charging 5.50 euro for the room delivery is excessive. A buffet breakfast is offered in the restaurant each morning. Unfortunately it was disappointing. Toast was very difficult to make and took a very long time. The hot food was rubbery and lukewarm, and the eggs tasted “fake”. The pastries were also stale and I saw a hair in the fruit salad.

The hotel is conveniently located only about 5 minutes walk from Milano Centrale, so is perfect if you are making your way to Milan by train. The room was not so spacious but it was clean and comfortable. Most staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, very good value.

Amazing friendly service (Cuban guy at reception very helpful) , very clean, close to station, dog friendly (they welcomed my dog with open arms), very nice atmosphere and delicious generous breakfast. Definitely recommend!!

My wife and I have just completed a one night stay here, and it definitely exceeded our expectations. Roomy, clean and with a very comfortable king sized bed. Very professional front desk staff also. Thank you to all for a great stay!

The location is very central and easy to commute.The front desk staff are very accommodative and cater to our requirements.The rooms are big and comfortable. The breakfast is good but lacks variety in the hot items...had the same one for the 3 nights we spent there. The water pressure in the shower needs improvement...

This hotel turned out to be a real find. It is located one short block from the Centrale train station and is on a rather quite side street across from a large church. The location is really convenient because of proximity to the train station and also the bus to the airport. There is a subway stop in the train station and a ride to the center of Milan takes only about 10 minutes. Also, there are good restaurants on the side streets near the hotel. There are quite a number of larger and much more expensive hotels in this neighborhood; among them the Madison is a standout value. Our room was of a decent size with ultramodern appointments. It was equipped with everything including a smartphone that was provided for our use to carry anywhere in the city during our stay. The hotel served a very nice breakfast and the staff was friendly and helpful. On any future trip to Milan this is where we plan to stay.

We had to make a quick trip to Milan and found the Best Western to be the perfect place for us. We could walk to all the places we needed to go. The staff spoke excellent English and made sure our needs were met. Room was clean and comfortable. Delicious breakfast in the morning. With the high speed trains we were able to get from Venice to Milan in two hours.

The hotel is conveniently located a few blocks from Milan Centrale train station. The lobby is very nice, and there is an elevator which is not always the case in Europe. The room was large by European standards as was the bathroom, although the room suffered from a common hotel problem of not enough light. Even with every light on it was still not bright enough. The bed was rock hard and it felt like we were sleeping on the floor. There were a few annoying issues: Our reservation was fully pre-paid, booked on the Best Western website. When we checked in I verified that with the desk clerk who confirmed that it was FULLY paid in advance. But at check out we were hit with a 40 Euro charge for "city taxes" which came as an unpleasant surprise. It's not the amount, but the fact that if there is another charge that should be noted and you should be informed of it in advance. Not a nice way to end a stay. The other annoyance was when we checked in we asked the gentleman at the front desk where we could find a grocery store and a bakery. He suggested we check back at Milan Centrale train station. That did not sound right, so I looked on Google Maps and found both of those things literally around the corner from the hotel on Via Ponte Seveso. Someone working the front desk at a hotel should be able to answer a basic question like that about the local neighborhood.

Very well located in a quiet street next to Milano centrale a few minutes from Duomo and teatro alla scala by metro. Very clean and decent room. Very nice staff. My room was ready when I arrived at 11.30 am which I did appreciate. Price reasonable for Milano where hotels are quite expensive. Will use again this hotel when in Milano

The hotel is just a minute away from the Central station. It has its own restaurant which offers a full breakfast buffet for only 8 euro and it is really cheap for such an abundant breakfast. Also, when I ask for a hair dryer they brought a full beauty kit which they offer to women freely and it contains such necessary things such as hair dryer, face cream, hair straightener. The hotel is way better than how it is in the photos and the receptionists are very helpful and nice.

Good location near Centrale. Very friendly staff. Car park in house but with limited space to 5 cars max so booking is essential. Good rooms but a little bit tired. Breakfast is very basic. Don't expect much. But coffee is great. I guess a lot of things are for sale at breakfast.

Perfect place to stay. The location for this hotel is great so close to Milano Centrale train station. The room wasn't very big but all we need for a 2 night stay. We caught the train to see the Cathedral and sites in Milan (3 stops) very easy. The breakfast was very good and all you need. Make sure you try the restaurant at the end of the street fantastic inexpensive food. Would recommend staying here.

You know how when you get to the room you think to yourself that it does not look as nice as the published photos. This is the first time for me that the room actually looked better than the photos. It is a single room, and sure, it is small, but it was nicely decorated, had good lighting, and was clean and comfortable, and contains a safe and phone, and has fast wifi. The bathroom is large, clean, with a good shower, and a hair dryer. What was also a nice touch is that BW sent an email a couple days before the stay which included a map, so the hotel was easy to find a couple blocks away, as soon as you walk out the door of Milano Central station.

We only stayed one night as we arrived late after our flight from the US. The hotel is easy to find and a 5 minute walk from the Milano Centrale Station. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, both at check in and check out. Did not get a chance to try the breakfast but the room itself was spacious and had a balcony. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure on the shower was strong. To be honest, this is one of the nicest BW I've stayed in. We had a great night's stay and would definitely stay again!

Everything new and sleek. Friendly helpful staff at the desk. We did not stay for breakfast as we had an early flight. Location of hotel makes getting to shuttle bus to airport a breeze. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is literal steps from the central station, so it is awesome for location!! Check in, they were genuinely pleased to see us and check us in. Room was great, quiet and clean. Breakfast in the morning was terrific, hand made cappuccino's and a good sized selection of items for breakfast. I would not hesitate in recommending Hotel Madison!!

The location of the hotel is good, very near to the central station. Breakfast is not included, you need to pay 8 eur daily. They have free internet connection, it works. The room was clean. You have two bottles of water free but they didn't put the second one. There is no slippery. The shower was small

We chose this hotel for a short stay in Milan due to its proximity to the Central Station (where we were arriving from Cinque Terre and which has express bus and trains to the airport and metro and tram stops). It is very conveniently located for transportation and a short metro ride to the main tourist attractions. The hotel itself is small and very nicely appointed, with all amenities (including tv, a cell phone you can use during your stay, safe and refrigerator). I recommend paying a little more for a suite which gives you some nice added room. They have a large breakfast buffet which is included in some rates or available for a reasonable charge. Finally, the staff is very polite, knowledgeable and helpful. For example, we asked about trains to the airport and they recommended the shuttle bus which was more convenient, nicer and less expensive. We highly recommend this hotel for a nice, quiet stay in Milan.

This is a 4 star hotel located a walking distance from the Milan Central Station. Great for travellers arriving and leaving by train. Them main attractions are more far away thow. Nevertheless there is the Sondrio metro station nearby. The rooms are nice, confortable and not too small. The breakfast is ok, nothing much but has everything that is expected. The staff is friendly and polite. Nothing very good but also nothing very bad.

This hotel is just a few minutes from Milano Central. Hotel is clean, staff lovely and breakfast is excellent. Hotel does provide a mobile which we didn't use but handy if required. Some lovely places to eat within a few minutes walk. We visited Rome and Venice via Milano Centrale this made the journey even easier as so accessible. Area is clean and safe and has a handy little store close by. Would stay here again..

I stayed here on November 2017. this is the best place that is very close to central station. 1 block from bus stop at central station (we were using bus from Malpensa airport) Milan is such a quiet city at night except the Duomo area. because I prefer to stay near central station rather than Duomo, I have to make sure the area is safe and near the public transport. Staff is very friendly, room is small but clean, fit for me and my husband. enough for having a good rest. they provided a handy phone in our room that we can bring outside and can be use free for local call and internet. will recommend this hotel to others.

The location of this hotel is ideal. Near to the train station and it not so noisy. Everything is within walking distance and for Muslim traveler, halal food is just around 10 minutes walk. The staff is friendly and helpful and the hotel provide a mobile to help traveler getting around Milan.

We experienced some problems with the shower, the wi-fi and the access cards. After every shower the water floods the entire bathroom and the floor became dangerous full of water. The wifi is almost unfunctional every time, with frequent messages like "you are offline, do you want to commute to another network ?". We were forced finally to use our own resources. The breakfast is good with a variety of fresh products and great coffee. The room is clean and functional. Large window in the bathroom with a lot of pleasant natural light. The staff try to be helpful. The access cards are frequent useless/unfunctional in the elevator or at the room door.

I didn't pay attention to it until I was ready to check out. My bad! I'm too cheap to buy an international call/text plan for my iPhone when I'm traveling in other countries, so I can only use it when I'm in the hotel or a restaurant with free WiFi. But at this hotel... Each room has a cell phone you can borrow and carry around with you for navigation and all the things we love cell phones for. Free! What a lovely perk and the only hotel I've run into that offers this. The staff is friendly, the rooms small but clean, the beds hard, but...a cell phone you can borrow...! :-)

The hotel is located very near to milan central railway station. The hotel is in peaceful location. I found front office staff helpful and friendly. The rooms are small but functional for short visit.

Room was spacious, A/C and appliances worked well, service was good and linens and breakfast were spectacular. Hotel is a short walk to Milano Centrale in a decent neighborhood so it was optimal for a short visit to Milan. Only improvement would be the room's bathroom which was ok but could be updated to make a 5 star rating.

The location of the hotel is near to the central station, which is useful for tourist using high speed trains. The staff was also nice and helpful. The room was clean and spacious , I like the map phone idea .

Will surely come again. As a business traveller I had good service, central location, working wi+fi, a good night sleep and good breakfast. I couldn't really ask for more, and all of this at a fair price. AAA

Stayed one night before return flight home. Very nice breakfast for 6 Euro. Rooms are ok. Pretty average but decent size for Europe. Front desk staff were helpful as they stored our luggage while we visited for a night. Great location near train station.

An understated boutique hotel next to the busy Central Station and the coaches for the city's airports. Clean, affordable, with carefully selected amenities in the room, and a must have breakfast with 5 stars selection and quality items. Friendly personnel and fast response to requests. Overall a treasure for a traveller!

Stayed here for 2 nights in May 2018. Initially my review was going to be much different than a rating of "4" but the hotel staff was able to change my mind. After arriving, our room seemed to be quite warm, compared to the lobby and adjacent hallway. I inquired to the front desk, which sent someone up to check on it within minutes. After adjustment of the thermostat, we stayed in the room for about another hour. There didn't seem to be any difference in temperature happening. We decided to go out for dinner, and mentioned to the front desk that if there was no change by the time we got back, we would be requesting a different room. After dinner we arrived back almost 2 hours later. As we entered, the front desk mentioned that they checked and there was no problem with the room. Upon entering the room its temperature felt no different. We gathered our belongings, and went back to the front desk. They gave us a different room with much better air circulation, and temperature. The room was upgraded from a regular room to a suite, which was very nice of the staff, even though we did not ask for that. Comparing the two rooms, the suite was very nice due to the extra space, however the regular room definitely had a more recently renovated bathroom. The hotel breakfast (included with the room rate) was EXCELLENT, with lots of various items to chose from. Overall, I would recommend this hotel, and would consider staying there again.

We stayed here 4 nights in may. The location was perfect for the 2 day work conference as well as exploring the city. The central station is so close and many metro stations and trams are available to get you wherever you want, although many of the main tourist areas are walkable as well. The hotel is comfortable and the breakfast was great. Would recommend this hotel for a well price place to stay while exploring Milan.

Perfect location for Milan Central Station, yet tucked away down a side street so was very quiet. Comfortable room and very good breakfast. Close to several good local restaurants and only a 40 minute walk into the centre of Milan or 5 minutes on the Metro. Abdu on Reception was especially helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for one night to see some Milano highlights. We didn't expect much but were surprised with the luxurious and spacy room. The hotel is coveniently located near Milano Centrale. Staff was a bit formal but very friendly. Breakfast was great. Good value for money.

This hotel is almost too good for the price I was able to get. It is just 200 meters from the Milano Centrale station and within 3 kilometers from the Duomo di Milano and the fabulous mall. Very well kept rooms, very good service and a great breakfast spread. My only complaint was that the breakfast scene was very chaotic at the rush hour. I did not eat any other meal at the restaurant.

This was the first hotel that we stayed during out tour to Italy. Fantastic hospitality, nice rooms, wifi connection and good Breakfast option. Breakfast costs Euro 6 per person. Its very close to Milan Central Station - 5 min. walk. There are lot of hotels nearby. Stefano was extremely helpful and very supportive to our requirements. This was one of the best stays in Italy.

I booked this for a surprise birthday present for my partner, and we were not disappointed. It is only a few minutes walk to Milano centrale when you can easily get to anywhere in the city via train/metro/tram. The staff were brilliant and told us the best areas to go for what we wanted. The hotel was clean and the room was always in perfect condition when we returned on an evening. The bed was so comfortable, I slept wonderfully every night. Our room was on the side that faced the church so our view was always lovely. It is a quiet road so there was rarely any noise. Breakfast was beautiful, definitely worth the price. Everything was fresh and there was a great variation of meats, breads, fruit juice, cakes etc. The staff were also very welcoming and attentive every morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was close enough to the city for us to easily access everything but far enough not to be too expensive and loud. There were lots of restaurants within walking distance where we had some great meals, and there is also lots of good shopping in the train station only a few minutes away. We highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is only 5min walk to Milan Central. Many restaurants around, so finding food was not a problem. We booked a standard room. The room was a little small for 2 adults. But in general, room is clean and bed is comfortable.

This is a very convenient hotel as it is some 300 or so feet to the Central Milan Station. The station has connections to all or most of Italy. Walk a few feet go to the station , take a train to Venice in 2 and half hours. The Station is also home to the "Buses" from and to Malpensa, and buses to Bergamo and other sites. The Milan trolley car terminus is here and you can take the trolley to Navigli, the last stop. The hotel is located on a quiet street with a nice Italian Coffee Shop and around the corner from a great small Deli. The rooms are large. The breakfast is large. A super place

Nice hotel very close to Milan central train station. Rooms are small but very neat and tidy. Very Convenient to travel in the city from Metro which is just 300mtr from Hotel. Breakfast choices was less but good from other similar European Hotels. Certainly will prefer to stay again when in Milan.

Great central location. We were on a short tour of Italy and relied on trains and buses, so the proximity to the central railway saved us time and money. Only 15 - 20 minutes walk to the shopping district which again saved time. Our room was a good size, wardrobes, tea/coffee making facilities and clean modern bathroom. Our stay was certainly made very easy with help from Stefano and Klaudio on front reception. They comprehended and answered my questions (in english) giving advise on restaurants and clothes shopping. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Great work gentlemen - THANK YOU.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for four nights while in Milan. The hotel is two blocks from Milan Central Station. You get out of the station from the right side instead of the front. Look for the signs for buses and taxis. You walk straight two block- you will see a big church in the end of the second block which is where the hotel is located. The streets are well lit and we felt safe walking the area in the evening- being watchful, of course. The hotel is very clean and the room and bathroom were very good in size. The front desk staff were helpful, specially Stefano. He was very customer friendly with a very humble disposition. We left for Verona for two days and then came back to stay at this hotel for the remain of our stay. The hotel held our luggage for those two days at no cost !!!!! this is a great service and a great reason to stay here. We were able to bring only a carry on with us which was very nice. One thing though, on our second visit, the room assigned to us had the thermostat locked at almost 80 degrees F. (26 C). I called the front desk and they send me someone who had no idea how to fix it. I called the front desk again and a gentleman came to assess the situation. He offered me another room, but with a queen bed instead of a king bed. The room was also much smaller in size. No discount was offered to me. But, in lieu of all the positives, I left it alone.

I've been at the Madison hotel before, and it was delicious but, I must say that after the last renovation the improvement has been huge. The attention to details is excellent; they even provide a smartphone to surf the internet or make phone calls free of charge and, and that you can take away for the time that you booked the room. Obviously, the staff is nothing but perfect. When I come back to Milan, I can't think of a better place to stay.

This hotel is very close to the main terminal for train and access to metro. Easy to locate and walkable distance. Located a few stops from Duomo and other tourist spots in Milan. Our room was very modern. The bathroom was new and recently renovated. However, room 129 smelled. It smelled like a sewer back up. We ended up opening the bathroom window and closing the door to air the bathroom out. We only spent one night in the hotel so we decided not to make a fuss about it.

The hotel provides very good location - 3 minutes walk from central railway station from which you can reach all nearby airports (Malpensa and Bergamo via direct train or bus) as well as all districts of Milan are reachable through the underground. Many dining options are available just a few steps away from the hotel, which compensates for hotel restaurant beeing closed on Saturday and Sunday. Rooms, although a bit compact, are quiet and solid blinds isolate from daylight, which allowed me to sleep during the day.

Staff were nice and we had a lovely modern room with wood flooring and a good amount of space in both the bedroom and bath (shower) room (although not sure if the accessible rooms have more space than the other rooms, for some reason we were given an accessible room, perhaps it was the only twin room left...), it was generally quiet except when we could hear the toilet flushing from the room next door. Things which could have been better was to have curtains or be able to control the external window blinds, there was only see-through nets and the external blinds were halfway down and we didn't know how to control them (if we could). Lastly it was a bit disappointing the bed linen wasn't changed as I noticed a small stain on my duvet cover which I didn't fuss about because I thought I'll let them change it the next morning but they didn't, makes me wonder if their housekeeping knows the procedure that's on the hotel's changing bed linen card left in the room, I intentionally read it but it made no difference, if not for this issue then I would have given this hotel 4 out of 5.

The location is very optimal for a city traveller, only a few minutes walk from the central train station and still situating by a street with minimal traffic. The suite room was spacious with a very good air conditioning, silent (although situating in the first floor) and with comfortable beds offering a good night sleep. The reception personnel was polite and very helpful. Very satisfactory breakfast. Really recommended.

The location of the hotel is great, near central train station. We took the airport bus and arrive at the central station, walk less than 5 min and we arrive at the hotel. The room is comfortable for a short stay. Staff are very helpful and restaurant on site is great. We stayed here for 2 nights before we heading to Venice for a cruise. We return to the same hotel for one night before our flight back to NY. There is a small cafe on the same street, food is great and affordable. Walk further walk toward the train station, there is a restaurant serve very good food and affordable price.

Chosen primarily for convenience of the area we needed to be in, so was not particularly close to attractions but was right near metro lines. Was excellent service and good value. Staff were wonderful in helping us with things we needed, and accommodated our request to leave our car parked in the space beyond our check out, as our tour did not arrive back in time. Very clean rooms.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during our stay in Milan. The hotel is close the the Milan station, and it's actually few subway stops away from the main sightseeing spots and shopping mall (e.g. Duomo and Monte Napoleone). The room is clean and the bathroom is very big. The services provided by the hotel staff are very good. The hotel offered breakfasts as well and the food is good. Before we went to Milan, we actually were reminded by many friends of the security issues there. However, there were many polices patrolling around Milan station, even after 10pm. The areas around the Milan station are safe. By the way, if travellers would like to go to the airport from hotel by cab, the hotel staff could help you book a cab in advance. It's around 45mins to go to the airport.

We have stayed at Madison twice in the last month, we find it very accessible to the city of Milan, very close to the Central railway station and metro. The rooms were a great size very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and will go out of there way to help you, beautiful breakfast.

I booked a quiet room at this hotel, and was so happy that it came with a balcony where we could sit and have drink in the evening. All in all the room was very nice - comfortable and quite large. We were on the 4th floor and the location of the room certainly ensured that it was quiet with no noise from inside or outside. The hotel is located in a very handy location, close to the Statzione Centrale with plenty of restaurants etc. close by. Staff in the hotel were very helpful, allowing us to leave our bags there after checkout and giving lots of useful information about travelling into Milan and to the airport. Amazing breakfast - lots of choice and great value for money!

We had a very pleasant stay at this little hotel. The staff were lovely and the room was clean and comfortable with all we needed for our weekend visit. Large bathroom with shower and nice toiletries provided. Breakfast buffet had a good range of food with cooked options available. There are not a lot of public areas but there was a small bar situated in the restaurant area. In my view it was good value for money.

The B.W. Hotel Madison in Milan was a great choice. Very clean, good price, short walk to the train station (Stazione Centrale) , copious breakfast, and nice staff . Good option of restaurants nearby.

The hotel is fine. Rooms are clean. It was too expensive (for my taste) in the weekend, but okay on weekdays. The staff is extremely helpful (arranging free umbrella's when we had to go out in the rain) and the location very close to subway and train station was very convenient.

This property is average and what I'd expect from a Best Western. It has nice size rooms, decent bathroom, we had a view of the church. The staff was friendly and professional. The property is two blocks from the train station which was great for our early morning train to Switzerland. I didn't stay long enough to explore the area but my niece, who was alone for one of the two nights, was able to find her way around without a problem. We used booking.com and didn't have any issue.

Checked-in on May 19, 2017, we totally booked 6 rooms, and arrived the hotel at 9am. The front desk was a very friendly kind and handsome guy, he used to work in Shanghai. When he knew that we just arrive Milan after flying 12 hours, and we were going to have meetings in the afternoon, he arranged several rooms for us to shower and to change clothes. We truly appreciate his understanding. The rooms are very clean, not very small. Breakfast and wi-fi very good. Location is very good. 5 min walk from train/metro station. Good value. Easy to catch a cab.

Rated as 4 Stars, in fact is more like 3.5. The rooms are big by any standards, but noise from neighbouring rooms is present though nothing can be heard from outside. The location is very close to the Milano Centrale. The biggest issue is the water flow in the shower. We were at level 4, and it looks like the hotel was trying to save the water, but the result was opposite. You still need the same amount of water to wash yourself but it takes much longer to do it. We stayed there twice, first time in 2014, and we didn't notice that. The breakfast was much better in the first time. The worst part we found this time is the luck of smiles from reception desk and breakfast room staff. They don't understand that if guests don't feel as being welcome they will select another place to stay next time.

Stayed in February 2017 in single room. Everything was good, except the room was a bit small - but it still had everything one would need. Breakfast and wi-fi very good. Safe car parking included. Location 5 min walk from train/metro station. Good value.

Slightly longer version: This hotel is very accessible. This was our first visit to Milan and we arrived at the Central Terminal station and walked to the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, offering us tips and advice. The room provided everything one needs, TV spacious desk and wifi and was very clean. The bathroom was pretty large and had a window that opened. We had breakfast included in our booking and the buffet offered many good options.

We stayed at the Best Western Hotel Madison twice during our Italy trip. We choose this hotel because it is very close to the Milano Centrale train station and because the cost fit our budget. The hotel is located a short walk from the train station. The hotel is very nice, comfortable and clean. The rooms were modern and well appointed.

I did not know this hotel when booking, and did not know what to expect. Very conveniently positioned near the main train station in Milan, but in a very quiet street. The room I received was very large, modern and comfortable. Staff was extremely polite and useful. Even when I called to get directions to the metro they very patiently instructed what to do. Price was very fair, and breakfast (for only €6) was excellent. I recommend and will go there again.

Everything was very adequate here the staff was good and the rooms were good could have been a bit bigger in the shower and the bedrooms but satisfactory for what we needed a good area to be located in walking distance to everything take a chance and just walk it's amazing that you will find and everything is in circles

I was there on business and enjoyed my stay very much. the staff was very nice and helpful, the breakfast was very good (yes, I am talking chocolate croissants) and there was free wifi in the room which came in very handy as I needed to work. I would definitely go back (there's a very cool looking church right outside the hotel that I didn't get to see).

We stayed here as we needed to come late night and take an early train to another city. The rooms are very comfortable and the front desk is very friendly. Overall had a very comfortable stay at this property.

Initially we had a fairly decent night at this place when on our way through Italy to the 2017 Moro GP race in Mugello. We sat at the bar most of the night and when returning to sleep the rooms were fresh and spacious. The trouble started the next morning at breakfast. We noticed most of the food at breakfast was stone cold and most of the containers holding the food were left open to the elements. When asking for fresh food to be put out one of the waitresses simply snapped at us saying "yeah I hear you, 5 minutes" how rude. After all of this the following day, 3 out of the 5 people in my party fell ill with food poisoning making our trip further into Italy extremely difficult. One of our party has had to leave early and is returning to the UK with gastroenteritis. When complaining to the staff at the reception after our dreadful breakfast, we were told to have a nice day. We will be taking this further as it has absolutely ruined out trip. AVOID THE FOOD!!!!

Fine and fair service. Excellent location, very close to the central station and to the metro. Good service and good wifi also. Breakfast was quite bad and they also charged 6€ for that, so that's reason why I'm giving a 4/5-rate.

The hotel is situated in a excellent location for Milan's main train station and for the Metro to the city. By Metro the Duomo is only 3 stops, approx 10 minutes and the San Siro approx 45mins. The room we had was very clean & very modern and of a good size for a city hotel. The hotel staff we found very helpfull and polite regarding our questions of getting around the city. The only slight down point I would say, which could be easily rectified is that the hot food items at breakfast where cold each morning. The remainder of breakfast was good though. Overall, a very good value hotel for what we paid and would recommend it to others as we would certainly stay here again if we was back in Milan someday.

Clean hotel a few minutes' walk from the main station, refrigerator, friendly service. Breakfast average. Hotel directory in room states breakfast is on 4th floor, Breakfast is on ground floor. Adults will have difficulty with the needlessly complicated WiFi login procedure and the elevators, which have a mind of their own when it comes to deciding whether and in which direction they are going to move. We will stay here again the next time we come to Milan.

We didn't realize it at the time, but one of the best things about this hotel is it's consistently working internet in the rooms. We were not able to get that at all of the hotels and B and B's we stayed in. It was clean and conveniently located.

Modern hotel about 4 mins walk from the train station. Ideal for a quick stopover. Our room was comfortable clean and had everything we needed, kettle, hairdryer, toiletries. We had to ask for the air con to be sorted out and the wifi password didn't work but the guys on reception were friendly and understood English. Their recommendation for dinner was terrible.. don't take their advice to go to 'Friends' st then end of the road! Breakfast was continental but we had enough with cereal and toast. Would stay here again if i need a short stop in Milan. One word of caution, stay clear of the big square in front of the station at night, there were groups of men loitering at every turn.

Arrived 12 April for 2 nights before flying home. -reservation through booking.com for a single room,finished check in on few minutes..arrived room to discover that it's a box not a room..pictures in booking.com by management are fake.. went down and complained..after 15 minutes they upgraded me for a better room for free. -Hotel renovated recently..modern style. -WiFi is great in all locations and for free. -location is 4 minutes walking from the Milan central station and 15 minutes from Buenes Aires famous shopping street. -The area is full of cafes and restaurants for all ranges. -I checked the breakfast buffet but I didn't like the items.. anyway it's 6 EUR cost. -I would like to thank the front desk staff Khaloudji, his manager and another Moroccan lady (forgot her name) as they made my stay great .

Chose this hotel simply because it was close to the Office I would be visiting for a number of days, and was handy for a quick escape by train to the Milan Malpensa Airport. Basic amenities at an economical and fair price.

The price equals a standard experience. Great location, close to awesome restaurants, rooms are similar to hostels. The area was safe and the hotel staff extremely helpful. Take the staff's advice on restaurant recommendations, they know all fantastic places to eat.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in October in a 3 bed room. Hotel is centrally located, just behind the Centrale station, so it's very convenient. Decor is modern and very well kept. Staff is very friendly and breakfast is good, though it comes at an added price if you book through booking.com .

Single Room like a hostel - looked out on ugly estate/building wall. Very disappointed in reception staff, a European male staff with glasses, on 1st day there, I asked him about day trips, he kept referring me to the central train stn to get details there?!! He appeared uninterested and more interested in chit chat with reception colleagues. Wasted whole day at Central station wondering around like an idiot trying to find out about day tours only to find when I returned to hotel, I noticed the hotel had tons of leaflets on one side giving all the info I needed!!! I was so mad with that particular staff member and told him so. All he had to do was say 'take these leaflets behind you'! Given I was there only 3 days. Such a basic tourist question which reception staff couldn't answer. Wouldnt stay there again. No room service. No food available outside of breakfast. Breakfast was below average. Hot food all soggy! Except the boiled egg. Just goes to show it just takes 1 person and bad customer service to ruin a trip.

I feel it is one of the good choices to stay near the train station. The hotel has modern look, rooms are beautiful, bathrooms are amazing. One can just walk to and from train station. The staff serving breakfast was little rude.

Lovely welcoming receptionist and friendly restaurant staff. Rooms big and individual heat and air con. Very handy for Milan Cental station (3 minute walk). Only draw back was bar being in breakfast room so no atmosphere. Would definitely stay again if passed through Milan en route (as we were) or for a city sightseeing stay.

Stayed for business 3 nights , hotel is very close to the central station in a very good central location. However you should have a map or ask as reaching it is not easy. The restaurant for breakfast is ok , but the only issue is that the rooms are really very small I booked a double room single use, and the room was so small I cannot immagine a single room how would be, even the bathroom is so small you barely can sit on the toilet Apart from this hotel is clean, staff very helpful

Beds very comfortable, Breakfast poor, not replenished for long periods and comes out cold. Hotel is spotless clean. Staff try their best with all your requests. Plenty of English channels on the TV. Location is very good and is within walking distance to all the major transportation networks.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly but the food in the hotel restaurant was grossly overpriced. I ate dinner on Sunday October 23 at 7:30pm. The meal consisted of dry microwaved lasagna, microwave curry chicken for 25 euros and a dried, stale bun. A quarter glass of wine was 7 euros. In my opinion the meal definitely not worth this price. My room was the size of a university dorm with only one pillow and no complimentary bottle of water. At every Best Western Hotel I have stayed at, a bottle of water has always been supplied.

The hotel is only 4 or 5 stops from the historical centre. 2 minutes walk from the central station but there are very few restaurants so you need to take the metro to go for a pleasant meal or drink . Hotel ok. Clean. Very nice staff. Noisy as next to station. Restaurant if you are desperate. No atmosphere

This was the 2nd place I stayed on my visit to Italy. Here are my thoughts on the BW Hotel Madison in Milan, Italy: Good - Klaudijo, the front desk attendant was AWESOME!! He greeted me by name every time he saw me and he was always pleasant and helpful when we spoke. The room was small but it was still a good size for one person. I was impressed by the bathroom because it was larger than what I'd just come from in my hotel in Venice (see my post on Hotel Giorgione). Both the room and bathroom were clean & tidy. The bed was very comfortable and I slept great! The breakfast was not a large variety but it was good on the first morning. The next day, not so much. It is best to go to breakfast earlier, like when they open at 7am. Location from the train station to the hotel is great, just make sure you go out the correct side and you won't be turned around. Bad (but not really bad) - The breakfast the second day. I went down later, around 9am, and the food that was suppose to be hot was uncovered and cold. And the fungi (mushrooms on the buffet) were slimy and not good - and I love mushrooms! Walking to the hotel from the train station upon arrival was a chore. I was turned around and went the wrong way but the hotel is literally a block or two from the station. It's kind of sketchy in the area by the train station but I walked at night, as a single female, and did not feel too worried. Ugly - none! I'd definitely stay at this location again! It is a great location to the train station (now that I know where I'm going), the staff was very nice (especially Klaudijo), and the free breakfast was good.

We only stayed for one night but our room was very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. We were driving and upon our arrival we were very lucky to find parking on the street right outside the hotel for about 2.5 Euros overnight. Overall - good spot!

Great hotel for a business trip in milan. Very well located right next to the central train station and access to the metro also. The hotel has been renovated is very comfortable for our two nights. I strongly recommend!

As in other reviews it's close to train station so if you are travelling around then it's a great base and also good for metro to the centre. No iron but phoned reception and they sent one up immediately thanks hotel Madison. Room and bathroom clean and a good size. Only downside is it was a bit noisy and maybe close to hospital as there was a lot of ambulance noise but earplugs would sort that out. Window would not open which was just slightly disappointing as it's nice to have some fresh air. There was a sign for a bar but we couldn't find it. No other issues and we would stay again, very enjoyable for one night.

We had stayed here 5 years ago and chose it again because of the close proximity to the train station. The hotel has been renovated and we found it to be very comfortable for our two nights. Great little restaurant just down the street called Friends Ristorante where they were very friendly and good food reasonably priced. Also the station had a metro which was easy to use. Certainly recommend this hotel

This hotel was a disappointment to start with, largely because the room (as least the one I stayed in, but the bathroom was newly renovated and modern) was very old and needed an upgrade. The TV didn't work the first night either. However, disregarding all these, the hotel is actually good. It is in a good location, there are restaurants in the area (especially one of the pizza places makes excellent pizza), staff at reception was very helpful (including fixing the TV), the hotel is clean, breakfast is included and the food does not disappoint. Unless people prefer a 5 star hotel, then the BEST WESTERN Hotel Madison is a good choice when staying in Milan. Also, the hotel is located on a small quiet street.

Great hotel less than 5 mins walk from the main train station. Modern clean rooms comfy beds excelkent air conditioning friendly reception gents on reception. Lucky to have a room facing onto the church. Didn't use restaurant but always looked busy. Offered breakfast I think 8 euros each very reasonable. Absolutely find highly recommend as a base for Milan.

The hotel was immaculate. The staff were so friendly especially the night shift staff who was able to rectify a situation promptly and made us laugh. The food is lovely and priced moderately. The hotel is near the train station with many shops that opened till late.

This room was wonderful. Modern, spacious, comfortable and clean. It was near the central train station (5 minute walk), but on a quiet street so you didn't have noise at all hours. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was good too.

Had a night in Milan on our way to Lake Como so wanted an affordable hotel near the railway station. This hotel is modern and clean and very close by. If you are staying for a longer period it's probably not the best location but if passing through it does the job. Just be aware there is a city tax in Milan which we needed to pay in cash.

We arrived by train and it was an easy 5 min walk to a very welcoming hotel. Great staff super room all amenities good breakfast. Very quiet and comfortable. Easy walk to metro where a 2 day pass got us on all forms of public transport for €8.50

We arrived at Centrale Station and walked the 200 Metres to the Hotel to be greeted like old friends, although this was our first stay. This room and bathroom were fabulous, breakfast was included in the rate and was superb. The staff all spoke our language (English) and were very helpful in every way.

I have been travelling around Europe with friends following concert tours and we chose this hotel initially more for it's location than anything else with such easy access to the Railway station and the Buses that take you to the various Milan airports, it takes a couple of minutes walk to both but you do not hear any of the noise that you would associate being so close to transport hubs. The Hotel is down a small street and without the sign would be quite anonymous, we arrived late at night and were checked in efficiently and with friendly reception staff. We were very hungry and although the kitchen was closing they managed to serve up to us a lovely fresh pizza and we were exceptionally grateful for that, thank you. The rooms are accessed by a lift controlled by a key card system for additional security, I was in a double room and it was a decent size and a comfortable room with whilst not a large bathroom one which still had a full sized bath with a shower over it. The bed was large and comfortable with decent pillows, there was ample hanging space in the wardrobe and there was also a safe for your valuables. I was pleased to find a Kettle with decent tea and coffee making facilities, this really does make a difference to one's stay. The TV had a couple of English language stations. There was no view to look at from the windows but this is an inner city location, it was however thanks to blinds and curtains very private . The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries and had great towels, the bath was also big enough to have a good soak in which always gets a big thumbs up from me. A request for more pillows and an iron and ironing board were dealt with very quickly. I also used the laundry service and this was equally efficient. Breakfast had a great choice and was plentiful. This is a typical inner city business type hotel, it was well located for that and for transport hubs.

Real 4-star accommodation at a reasonable price. 3-sleeper room had plenty space and facilities. Good service. Full breakfast included and of good quality. Close to main station. Highly recommended. Will return either for business or holiday.

A comfortable, quiet and clean hotel, very conveniently situated near Central Station in Milan, only 5' walk from bus terminal. Room was small but comfortable. Staff were polite, nice breakfast with original dishes but lack of fresh things. Well recommended.

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending 4 nights here on our first trip to Milan. After an early flight from London I was pleasantly surprised they allowed us to check in at 1030am. We always found the staff to be helpful and pleasant during our stay. We had breakfast included and I would say it wasn't too bad, my only complaint would be that the hot items are cold a lot of the time which is a shame. The hotel is in a good location and we used the metro all the time, so easy! I would return to this hotel again if I ever come back to Milan!

We found the Madison to be well located and quiet, rooms small well furnished and clean. Reception was courteous and efficient, the big letdown was breakfast buffet, whilst the range of food offered was the norm, the hot food bar did not attract the attention of staff, that was required, of our three days breakfasts two were cold and one of these the spillage of food and mess was off putting, we requested our plated selection be reheated. Our final day breakfast was better presented, due to our early arrival.

This hotel give me the best experience and value for money. I have to mentioned the front desk staff (afternoon to night shift) are handsome guy and pretty girl, friendly and helpful. They are really caring and I can feel that they are truly treat you as a friend. The location is super and only 5 mins from Milano station. So train and Metro are no problem. The hotel is convenience and quiet. My room is facing a beautiful church so all 5 stars!!!!

Flew into Milan on way to Venice via train to catch a cruise. Hotel was adequate and met my expectations. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Is an easy 5 minute walk to train station. The 5 members in our party had no problem walking to hotel.

What you expect from your Milan Hotel but possibly larger room then usual. Brand new bathroom. Comfortable and clean and very close to the train station. Served its purpose and would stay in it hotel. Might be that they have refurbished rooms. Mine was a bit oldish but still comfortable. had an internal room and was great as it was really peaceful.

Milan was our first stop in Italy and being greeted by the two gentlemen at reception couldn't have been nicer. They were bubbly and easy-going and really made you feel welcome. It is just a short walk from the main train station, with a few uneven surfaces to encounter. Our room was of a good size - enough room around the bed to move freely when the other is sitting at the desk. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and well worth the small fee. Everything so fresh and continually stocked (I couldn't help myself and had to keep going back for more). Best Western does it again!

The hotel was very near the central train station which was what we were seeking. the price was very fair, the hotel clean and in keeping with the chain's standards. I would recommend it, tho not convenient to the major sites to visit.

We spent one night at Best Western Hotel Madison - and we chose it for its proximity to the Central Station (it's literally 2 mins away from it). Considering that the hotel was close to the Central Station my expectations were low - i was, however, very wrong. The hotel staff was very friendly upon arrival and it took us only a couple minutes to check in. The room was nice, clean and the biggest surprise was its balcony: which was very big, with a table and two chairs, a perfect place to hang out. The bed was comfortable, the free wifi worked perfectly fine (and it was fast). The check out process was a bit frustrating. We were in a hurry to catch our bus to the airport and the only person working at 5 am was slow (although i'm not a morning person myself so i can understand this to some extent). We had to pay the city tax too (don't know why we couldn't pay it when we checked in, considering the fact that we announced that we will check out very early), the person at the reception told us that the systems weren't working very fast, all in all we were a bit uncomfortable thinking about the possibility of losing the bus. In the end everything worked out just fine.

Great staff at the desk! Sparkling rooms with terrific, firm mattresses. Just a few blocks from Stazione Centrale. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and beautifully laid out. Be sure to walk the few blks. to Il Tavolino restaurant for a spectacular dinner.

Good Central Hotel.. Only 3min walking from Milano Centrale (central train station and metro station!). Comfy, spacious and very clean rooms, Quick check in and check out, Polite staff. The breakfast was ok but for a 4**** hotel could definitely get better! We would stay there again..

First of all should state this is a well located hotel if spending a short time in Milan as a five minute walk from Centrale station where can get trains or coaches to the airport and other places such as Como as well as the metro straight down to the castle etc. The price is reasonable too. We did have a few issues... The air con did not work and despite reporting it took a day too long to fix. Even in June means the room became warm. The lights switches are all very random and you have no idea what you are going to get and for some reason the light by the wardrobe is on a sensor which stays on for a few seconds only so can disturb your partner if need toilet in the night. Bathroom was okay although shower somewhat old fashioned. Did have modern TV which you can change language settings to receive the American shows in English. Be useful to leave a guide on how to do this as our Sardinian hotel did last year. We left Milan with some nasty bites too which I hope wasn't because we had to open the windows. Like others feel this is a reasonable 3 * for a short break.

Situated a 5 minute walk from the train station (milan central)this is an easily accessible hotel. The staff are welcoming ,the hotel is clean and the rooms are a realnable size..no pool and no gym,but a good quality 3 star hotel. We walked ro the highlight of the city ,the duomo cathedral,and it took about 45 minutes. It would be easy to catch the metro. Breakfast included was ok.all up this hotel represents good value.

After a 20 hour flight we were made to feel very welcome when we arrived to check into Hotel Madison. Reception staff could not have been more helpful and cheery. Location was excellent for our rail transfer the next day.

The hotel is located steps away from Milan main train station. Rooms are clean and actually more spacious than photos suggested. The whole Front Office team especially Kamir are wonderfully hospitable. We stayed for 3 nights and were out most of the time but he recognized and greeted us by names. Overall a pleasant stay and great value for money!

We spent only one day at Best Western Madison. Convenient location, few blocks away from Stazione Centrale, good decor... We wanted to try the restaurant for dinner, but the menu which was on display in the lobby made us change our mind immediately: it was way too expensive for that location, plus the restaurant was completely empy, bad sign for a restaurant. Location, yes. Friendly staff, yes. They start serving breakfast - which was OK - only at 7:00 am, which, in my opinion, is a little late for the type of customers of this hotel, who usually have their connection flights or trains in the very hearly morning. Nothing more to write back home.

I stayed in best western Madison hotel for 4 nights. The reception is courteous and provided me a fast check in. Rooms are nice. Just aside the Milan central railway station. Ask for alternate room if you find smaller room for single accommodation. Should be improved on breakfast, as it seemed to not have a nice spread. Fresh cut fruits were lacking.

I stayed here last night in room 115 and loved it. Hotel very close to station - you can easily walk, staff helpful, room very modern and I enjoyed the variety at breakfast especially the local cheeses, fresh ricotta and nicely made coffee. It's not in a busy part of town if that is what you are after. I would stay there again.

Stayed there only because of it's close location to the Milano Centrale. My room was REALLY claustrophobic, also the whole corridor and all the room doors were "under construction" (but it looked like it is liked this from a long time). I wouldn't recommnd this place to stay there longer than 1 night.

Stayed here for 3 nights recently on a city break to Milan. This hotel is located on a fairly quiet side street less than 5 minute walk from Centrale station with also a few tram stops nearby too so it's ideal for transport connections. The room was clean and quite well appointed, it pretty much met all of our needs. The reception staff were great, most spoke decent English and check in and out was straightforward. The buffet breakfast was ok, except the hot water for tea and coffee was tepid and some of the food had gone cold on a couple of mornings. The staff can make cappuccinos, lattes etc on request if need be. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. The location was ideal for us as we were travelling around Milan and elsewhere. I do recommend staying at Madison Hotel.

Stayed for 4 night at Best Western Madison and to be really honest I liked it. The room was big enough and really well cleaned (daily) while the single beds were really comfortable. The staff in the reception were more than friendly and welcomed! As for the breakfast I didn't expect it so good based on previous comments I saw in Tripadvisor. There was a big variety of croissants, muffins and Italian pastry that were freshly made and really delicious and the 4 days we stayed. I asked the staff for coffee and the made it really fast even by using my travel-Italian skills. The biggest advantage however is the location; really close to Milano Centrale where you can get a regional train, the metro line and the bus to the airport. Definitely recommended and I will go again next time in Milan!

We usually stay at hotels with the Best Western badge and this one kept up the usual standard. A hotel that we will definitely stay at again due to location being so close to main railway station to get to other places. Only one draw back at breakfast, sadly some nationals do not queue (like the British do) and barge at the breakfast buffet.

I booked for three nights. At check in I already remind the lady at reception for extra bed. And they did not provided because the man in charge said he had so many things to do and promise to do it tomorrow morning. Next day they still did not provide it. In the morning I remind the reception and he said will do it immediately. When I came to the room in the evening, it is still not there. Very lazy Italian. The air conditioning was not working. I ask the reception and they said they will send the man, until I checked out still there is no person come.

This hotel is about two blocks from the Centrale train station which also means it's near subway, bus, and trolley lines. Check in is easy and the rooms are Spartan, but clean. The bathrooms have been remodeled and, while small, get the job done. The room is "just there." Just what you need and nothing more. The beds, however were odd. We had two twin beds and they were not comfortable for either. The breakfast is not so good. The day we tried to eat there the eggs were cold, food was running out at all times and the staff seemed to be very busy doing what, I do not know. Do yourself a favor, grab a cheese sandwich and eat in a real Italian restaurant later. This was, at best, a bad American cheap hotel breakfast. Overall it's a fine place and gets the job done. I would stay there again as it is convenient, well priced and well kept.

The hotel is very close to Milan Centrale Train Station, and that's where the good things end. It's still a fair walk into the centre of town (about 20 minutes). I was disappointed with breakfast. The warm food (bacon, mushrooms, eggs) were congealed, and rubbery. Muffins and croissants were stale on some days (I think they were probably left over from the day before), coffee was weak and cold. The staff also constantly tried to clear your table to get you out, rather than just leaving me to eat my breakfast. We also had a weird smell in our bathroom for the whole time- it smelt like stale water, but there was no way to get rid of the smell. We also noticed this in the corridor on our floor on some days. Overall, it was ok. The reception staff were very nice and helpful, but if I needed to stay near Centrale station again, I'd probably look for an alternative option.

Steps away from the central train station, in a silent alley in front of a historical religious school. Rooms are tidy and comfy. If you fancy (and have the time for) a visit to the Duomo or other points of interest, the underground stop is within the train station

Very close to the main station. The single room was very small and gave me claustrofobic sensation. The bathroom was bigger than the room itself. Not a 4 stars hotel standard for me. Breakfast was ok. Price not too high, but I don't think I would come back here in the future...

I was impressed with the reception and service from all the night and morning staff. I was unhappy about something and the night staff quickly sensed it and put it right. I also had trouble with the heating in the middle of the night and when i called, they were there in a jiffy.

I traveled through Europe partly by train and this hotel is pretty close to Stazione Centrale which makes it easy to get to and from, didn't even need a taxi. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.

With a late check in and a very early checkout I just stayed at the hotel few hours so I can just say that bed was very comfortable and staff was friendly. Location is great if you have to catch a train early in the morning, Central Station is near by

Location very close to Milano central station, convenient to everywhere with access to train, metro and trams. Wifi very fast, breakfast also pretty good. A good selection of ham, pastry and fruit. Staff is pretty indifferent. Not responsive to requests and enquiries. I had to pick up stuffs like toothbrush and slippers at the reception myself. Most hotels deliver these stuff to the room.

Situated in a quite street about 5 minutes walk from Milano Centrale main line and metro station the Madison is a functional hotel and was ideal for my four night stay. The room was spotlessly clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite good and consisted of both hot and cold food. I'd be happy to return.

Rooms are small, but clean. Sound travels between rooms such that you can listen to the TV in the next room easily. My room had a great view of the beautiful church across the street. Restaurant was very good quality, surprisingly so. Breakfast was included. No gym. Hotel had aspects of 3, 4, and 5 star hotels. Guide I looked at showed every Best Western Hotel in Milan as 4 stars...I suspect that...then again, they had some other hotels listed as 7 stars. On a scale of 1 to 7, this rates 4. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Two blocks from Central Station, so you can easily walk it with luggage. Street is only 1 block long, so you'll need to look at directions on Google Maps before you arrive.(I used Street View feature, so I could find my way when I arrived.)

Approximately?? €20 from airport by taxi. Hotel has a restaurant (but there are several other good ones in the area). Staff very friendly and helpful. They have a printer at the front if you need to print a train ticket. The room was one of the cleanest around the world and made up impeccably. Large bathroom (mine only had a shower) and had higher-end soaps and shampoo. There was an electric hot water kettle included. Breakfast was full/hot and included a higher-than average assortment of bakery items.

Best Western Hotel Madison is located just a few minutes walk from Milano Centrale - making the location easily accessible and convenient. This Hotel has recently been refurbished, with many of the Rooms & Hotel Interiors updated. The Rooms are equipped with Flat Screen TV's, Comfortable Beds, Mini Bar & Work Desks. The Bathroom was not refurbished, however it was still quite Large and contained all of the amenities needed. The Air conditioning in my room did not work and was automatically controlled, making it difficult to sleep as the room was hot. Thankfully the window opened but the noise outside constantly disturbed me. The Breakfast room is large, with a great selection of both Continental & American style buffet options. Although I might have been a bit unlucky this time, I would stay at this Hotel again. There is much worse!

Great location.. walking distance from the Central Station. Clean though tiny rooms. Very Average breakfast. No variety even in the fruits in the 3 days I was there.No choice of eggs...just boiled or scrambled. They do have good aceto balsamico though with suggestions on what to have it with! Will definitely stay here again

Had a comfortable night's stay here. Honestly, I wasn't expecting for this room to be so nice. I booked a few months prior and didn't really look at reviews or pictures. I'm a rewards member and Best Western has always been a safe way to go. They've always been a good value. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Even though I'm a native Spanish speaker, my Italiano is severely lacking, thankfully they all spoke English and didn't make break out with some bastardized version of such a romantic language. The Madison is centrally located and within walking distance to the train station and many restaurants. If you're a lazy American tourist like me and need a taxi from the station it should only be about €5-€7. As with most places nowadays, breakfast and Wifi are included. Ciao ciao!

The hotel is conveniently located to the Central Railroad/Metro station in Milan. The hotel is modern, the room was a good size and clean. Breakfast had a good selection of food and coffee. There was not a view from our room but the hotel is in a city setting so we did not expect a good view. It was a nice hotel.

Very clean and bright room but so tiny that it fits only solo traveller. The breakfast is poor and small. The price is very high for this comfort. Location is good if you plan to use Milano Centrale for trains often

The Madison is a nice, modern hotel in close proximity to the Central Railroad Station that is also a main Metro Stop. The hotel has bright, modern decor. The bedrooms are not cramped and are well decorated. The bathrooms are very, very clean. The breakfast area is large enough for the purpose and mostly has a choice of tables to chose from. The food includes beacon, sausage, eggs, fruit, vegetables, pastries and local slices meat and cheeses. A variety of coffees are available and individually made. It is a self serve breakfast with staff to take away dishes and ensure that the tables are cleaned. The views from our side of the hotel were poor but that is to be expected in an urban environment. Staff are very professional and helpful.

I stayed at this hotel back in May and just had the opportunity to comment. It depends what you are looking for. I wanted to see Italy on a budget. You pay for what you get. The rooms are small but clean. The hotel is in a corner but close to a church, so I felt slightly better. You can walk to the trains and rails so very convenient. The pluses were the staff. One person at the desk, Abdu, he was exceptional! He was knowledgeable on attractions, restaurants, and transportation. Abdu is the best! The hotel is not one of the better ones but it served the purpose. The free breakfast is small but it was something. Free wifi a plus.

I've been there with my family didn't like it at all: the location was far away from everything. Rooms and toilets are very small. Breakfast is very poor and bad even not clean. The staff was very rude not all but most of them. Very noisy. If you don't have any other choice go to it.
