"Ok but not 4-star level"
leonardoo01, 01 Avril 2024

Positive: - Clean and good price - Generally comfortable - Nice view of their green golf course Negative: - Bit old fashioned - Poor breakfast, certainly not 4-star level - Room with shower support broken and TV not working - Daily room cleaning only under request still with the excuse of Covid and they didn't tell us when we arrived - Bad Wifi

"Great but breakfast was a let down"
LRM666, 31 Mars 2024

We were looking for a hotel that we could use each time we travelled down to Bath to visit our child at university. We were greeted by probably the most welcoming reception staff that we have ever encountered. Not just a "going through the motions" check in but a real interest in how our journey was, where we had come from etc. I would most definitely employ these people myself. Our room was spacious and clean and there was plenty of car parking onsite. Tea and coffee making facilities with a range of choice. Our room was quiet and no road noise. Blackout curtains were great. Good shower and bath. The thing that really let it down for us was the next morning. Eating out for breakfast is a bit of a treat and not something we get the time to do often so we were looking forward to this. When we walked into the restaurant we weren't acknowledged and had to work out for ourselves what the protocol was for the buffet. We found our own table which was dirty and still had plates on it but there were no clean tables. The restaurant staff kept walking by with no introduction. My husband went up and asked if they would like our room number and then asked if we could have our breakfast order taken. As we still sat for a further 10 minutes, I got up and asked. I then went to make another coffee and the milk jug was empty. The apple juice was empty. We had gone down at 9.15 and breakfast stopped at 10 so not sure why and there were only 2 other tables with people on at this point. When our breakfast arrived there was no toast with it, not a problem as you can make this yourself but nobody had told us that. Thankfully the waitress on this occasion did rush to toast bread for us or our food would have gone cold. We wanted to set off for the rest of our journey after a relaxing breakfast having had a long drive the day before but we left feeling a bit let down by that part of the stay. Unfortunately I think this for us would put us off staying again or if we did, we would certainly only do a room stay.

"Best Western experience"
collinsconstruction, 20 Mars 2024

An excellent hotel with excellent staff throughout. Clean rooms, fresh food with excellent options. Hotel staff know the area well and can assist with anything you need. The restaurant change the menu regularly with beautiful food.

"Surprising good hotel"
belliestravels, 04 Mars 2024

Was unsure what to expect at this hotel but was pleasantly surprised. Modern large room, recently painted and new carpet, warm, decent hot drinks selection, quality towels and quiet. Easy to park. The bathroom was modern, although low pressure in the shower not so good for hair washing. Fantastic breakfast, comprising buffet with huge choice of fruit, cereal, pastries, toast etc and variety of cooked options to order. The mugs for hot drinks could be larger! Great service from reception and restaurant, friendly and helpful staff. The views from the restaurant over the golf course are amazing. All in all a very enjoyable stay and would return if in the area again.

"Lovely Hotel"
isharkey2024, 27 Février 2024

When we are in the area we always stay at this hotel because we know what a lovely hotel this is. The staff are lovely, the food is always of good quality and we always leave knowing we will be returning soon.

"Excellent stay."
Janet J, 25 Février 2024

Friendly and efficient staff along with comfortable rooms made for an excellent break away. Good food and wine also helped! The view from our room across the golf course and the quiet atmosphere was very relaxing. There is also an excellent bus service into Bath.

"One night stay "
WyreForest, 10 Février 2024

Excellent room, superb shower. Restaurant food in the evening was very good. Didn't have breakfast but if the evening restaurant meal standard applies it will be very good. All in all a very nice hotel with good facilities. Nine hole golf course would certainly appeal in summer months. Well located hotel .

"10 out of 10 for The Centurion"
Lisa H, 29 Janvier 2024

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel over the weekend. A warm welcome from the lovely lady on reception and a clean and comfortable room with a spotless bathroom and warm, fluffy towels. Breakfast was the best we had eaten in a long time, I travel frequently and it's not your average hot buffet counter at The Centurion. Hot breakfast is made to order, an omelette and Eggs Benedict cooked perfectly and a nice selection of fresh fruit, pastries, etc that you can help yourself to. We're not often in Midsomer Norton, but would definitely book again if we're in the area. Well done to all the team there for being so professional and accommodating.

"Very happy with stay, restaurant and amenities"
Francesca G, 17 Janvier 2024

Staff were very friendly and helpful for my 3 day stay - and the food in the restaurant well surpassed my expectations- delicious home made tortellini with beetroot filling and my son enjoyed the rib eye steak a lot - would happily return. Good little gym and we enjoyed the golf course- only wirh the steam room and sauna were open beyond 4pm on weekend and open during week as I could not make their times

"Cold food"
Z9608KNsarahb, 03 Décembre 2023

Rooms good, staff good, food awful! Had to send my dinner back as it was cold. Came back from the kitchen still cold. You do not serve food on cold plates, especially when it's fish. Suggest the chef is restrained? I wait to see what breakfast is like.. think I'll stick to continental breakfast..

"An enjoyable stay."
Paul B, 20 Novembre 2023

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, centrally situated for visiting nearby attractions and within walking distance of Midsomer Norton. The room was of a good size, the bed was comfortable and it was quiet every night so we slept very well. Wi-fi was OK most of the time, sometimes we lost it and had to log back in. Every member of staff we met were very friendly and helpful, and a credit to the hotel. Breakfast was very good but at £15.95 it was overpriced for what we had. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel but tried restaurants in Midsomer Norton and Radstock. A 12.5% tip surcharge is added on to the hotel dinner meal cost, I would much prefer to give a personal tip to the waiting staff to reward good service. Rooms were not serviced during our stay unless we asked for it to be done. I'm not sure if the reason for this, maybe a lack of staff? Overall we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, there were many positives.

"Handy for Bath park & ride."
Nigel S, 27 Octobre 2023

Very clean room and public areas, excellent breakfast just the ticket to set you up for the day. Found all staff very friendly and extremely helpful ,plenty of parking available. Just a short drive from Bath park and ride.

"Enjoyable stay"
Culture187112, 24 Septembre 2023

The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating. Our room was spotlessly clean with large, thick towels. A rare treat was windows that open with both blinds and thick curtains that provided a complete blackout for sleeping. Breakfast was also of a high standard with a wide choice of foods.

"Overnight stay"
Leanne H, 18 Septembre 2023

Disappointed with our stay at the centurion hotel. Pictures very misleading. A lot of noise from road/industrial estate opposite. Walls are paper thin so could hear a lot of noise in the hotel, tv didn't work, very musty smell in the room and corridors, very outdated hotel and needs a lot of work, bed was very uncomfortable.

"A 'So-So' stay. "
Journey07842558217, 16 Septembre 2023

An average stay, with some disappointments. No lift, so avoid the upgrade rooms as they are on the first floor - staff were reluctant to take our luggage upstairs on arrival and downstairs again when we left 4 days later (we are disabled). Rooms are not serviced unless you ask - and even then they did not make the beds every day. Breakfast was hit and miss - tables not cleared nor cleaned between guests, bread ran out one day, coffee and cups/ mugs ran out another day. Difficult to find staff to sort this at the time. Plus side - hotel near several bus routes. room generally clean.

"Clean and comfortable"
hataylor2023, 16 Septembre 2023

This hotel needs serious upgrading and some areas, the damp carpet smell is strong. For a night, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast was lovely and the service was quick. Don't forget to ask for member perks, as they won't tell you about them otherwise! This place is OK for one night.

"August family stay"
HappyTravelsUK4, 21 Août 2023

Stayed as a family at this hotel, for 4 nights. An earlier reviewer was recently very critical, which made me concerned about our booking, but I need not have worried. The hotel is lovely - the pictures online represent the hotel well. We stayed in a family room which was spacious and very clean. Like most hotels nowadays, service of the room was offered on request, which suited us fine. The grounds are beautiful - the breakfast area (and restaurant, although we did not eat dinner at the hotel) look out onto the golf course, which is full of trees. There's an area for sitting outside if you choose to and a fish pond in the hotel garden. The staff are friendly and helpful. Re breakfast, I note the earlier review said it was 'basic'. There were 10 types of cereal, fresh fruit, pastries, juices, yoghurts, fresh bread/toast and a varied choice of hot menu (which you order from the breakfast staff and is brought to your table). The lounge is quiet with comfy chairs and there is a separate bar area within the restaurant part of the hotel. Location wise it's a great base to explore the area, with Bath Park & Ride 15 mins away, Wookey Hole caves approx 30 mins away and lots of other places to visit. Price is good for the area too. We would be very happy to stay at the hotel again.

"Catherine room function"
nigeltG2102UB, 19 Août 2023

Booked the Catherine function room for a celebration of life recently at short notice. Popped in to check prices and availability was shown around and had the options explained in full. On the day the room was prepared as described. We ordered the £9.50 ahead buffet tea coffee with cakes. Freshly prepared and tasty. Would have preferred more savory plates as there was a lot of cake left over. Cakes were nice thu. Have to compliment ALL the staff from the initial booking with follow up questions on e mail which were answered very promptly. On the day staff showed great respect in our sad situation were very friendly and efficient ben behind the bar was very good as were the two young ladies. Did not get there names but got one to take a family group photo she did a fab job at that Catherine room is a good space with a very good outside area to use if the weather is good grounds were well kept with a nice view. Would recommend for functions

"Would happily return!"
nomad535, 15 Août 2023

Overnight stop. The setting at the front isn't very attractive, but it's a nice place and the view at the back makes up for the front! Friendly, helpful staff good food and unfussy but decent rooms. Would happily return.

"Motel not hotel"
MKtwo, 04 Août 2023

Booked this hotel based on the pictures they post. How misrepresentative. On arrival, we found the hotel to be opposite an industrial estate. On entering the reception area, there was silence, no atmosphere. The mature lady behind reception was not particularly welcoming. The main reception room shown as their headline picture had the appearance of a store room, not somewhere to relax. There was no bar, only stacks of conference chairs around the sides. The hotel still appears to be in covid time, only servicing rooms on request, and furniture changed from the nice comfy chairs they show, for a hard wooded chair. Not even 2 of them, so you couldn't both sit together. There was also a musty smell as you moved through the hallways to rooms. We did ask the manager for a change of room. Talking to him was like talking to basil fawlty, he seemed in bothered in the difference between the pictures they display, and what you get, but did change our room, we got 2 chairs, a hard wooden one and a conference chair as shown in their conference picture. We stayed for 4 nights. The main reception room was unavailable for use for 2 days as set up for a wedding service. The restaurant seemed to be in the attached leisure club/golf club area, not in the hotel area. The staff here were better, but the food offering was basic and satisfactory. Breakfast was part buffet (cold items), with table service for a hot selection. The buffet again was basic, but poorly stocked, though they did use nice bloomer bread. There was never much choice of pastries, only a couple of each type, and once gone, that was it. We had to pass through reception on way to room, only once did we get a greeting from the receptionist. Overall, ok for an overnight basic stay, it was generally clean, but not at all a nice place to stay for nights.

"Nice place to stay"
David H, 23 Juillet 2023

Room was very comfortable. Nice fluffy towels . Tea making facilities. Staff really helpful. Really lovely breakfast. Just a shame it rained all weekend. Still managed to get out to nice places nearby.

"Great location and super hotel"
chestersantana, 03 Juillet 2023

Perfectly situated in a rural setting but easy to get to Glastonbury, Bath and beyond. Superb dinner and nice gardens overlooking a quiet golf course. Really good value and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"Stay at the Centurion Hotel"
minehead1234, 01 Juillet 2023

Nice location for Bath and Somerset attractions. Hotel is located next to a golf course in a quiet area - 20 minutes drive to Wells/Glastonbury/Bath. The hotel has ample parking and nice facilities on site to relax and keep fit with restaurant and lounge and bar areas.

"Lovely gardens but disappointing restaurant"
Charliegirl75, 15 Juin 2023

Hotel and gardens were lovely but restaurant very run down. We had a lovely evening meal on the Friday but service took a while and staff seemed to not have a clue what they were doing. Clearing plates when not all of us had finished, had to ask for condiments, more drinks, the dessert menu, putting clean cutlery on a dirty table and nobody asked us how our meal was. Tiny bar with a poor selection of drinks and all the staff trying to get behind there to serve, nobody seemed to have a job/ selected tables so it was rather chaotic but staff were friendly, they just need training. Breakfast was over priced for our 4 year old who had one slice of toast and one glass of apple juice for £7.50 ! My smoked salmon was grey and inedible and the melon in the fresh fruit salad was slimy and tasted awful, my partners full English was over cooked. The continental side of breakfast was the best part. Replace your dead plants around the hotel and give it some tlc

"Fantastic out of town hotel"
Weegie75, 13 Juin 2023

This was so reasonable priced for Bath. It was a friendly, exceptionally clean, so comfy hotel. Parking onsite. A wee bit of a drive from the the centre but nothing to bad. Breakfast was lovely.. Highly recommend.

"Visiting family"
175janew, 04 Juin 2023

We came this weekend to visit family. Very pleasant stay, lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. We didn't eat here so could not comment on the food but room was lovely and clean, staff very friendly, would definitely stay again if in the area.

"5-star service! Everyone is amazing! Would recommend to my friends"
Joan C, 04 Février 2023

The service is excellent. My friends and I (7 pax) had an amazing stay. All members of the staff that we came across were accomodating from the receptionist to the housekeeping. I forgot an important item at one of their rooms. I was initially planning to go there myself to retrieve it (I live 3 hours away) but they have been so helpful that they sent it back to me. They swiftly replied to my email and guided me throughout the process. In just a couple of days, I received the item. Kudos to them! Saved me time and effort. Thank you!

"Really nice experience"
mingkeeyuen, 10 Janvier 2023

The hotel is nice and classic in a quiet location. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and warm. It is clean and tidy. Many channels in TV. Highly recommended for retreat. There are some supermarkets within 10 minutes drive.

"One night stay before a family chritening."
mrrumble44, 09 Janvier 2023

Very disappointed no where to eat around 9pm, also the bar was closed at this time too. If you wanted a drink you are expected to go to reception and ask reception to go and get you a drink from the bar and you can sit in a lounge in the reception area. For me this is not acceptable for the price you are paying. One plus is the breakfast was very good.

"terrible: looks like a hotel for the 80s"
houssemboukadida, 23 Décembre 2022

Can you imagine in 2023 having One Tap for cold water and one tap for hot water: so either you have very hot water or very cold water!! very old hold stinks humidity. So cleaininng unless you ask for.

"BW Centurion - Radstock"
watercleek, 02 Décembre 2022

Overall okay, improvements/ investment necessary in a number of areas if only to smarten up the offering. Breakfast tables showing lots of wear, in need of a refurb/replacement, building issues (leaks) need addressing. Staff v. good but better training req'd in areas. Reception excellent.

"Perfect spot"
marknQ6666GB, 02 Décembre 2022

I have now stayed several times. Service is fantastic. Friendly and helpful. They go the extra mile to meet your requests. Rooms clean and well appointed. Spa is amazing and gym and restaurant great too.

"A gem in somerset"
Crisps35, 29 Octobre 2022

We booked a family room during half term and felt this hotel was an ideal base to get to all the places without fuss we planned. Somerton, Wells, Bath, Cheddar Gorge and Bristol. The room was lovely and large with excellent facilities and large fluffy towels. It was nice for our daughter to receive a BED instead of a sofa (which is often the case when booking a family room). Breakfast was good - a fine selection of cold things and hot food cooked to order. After our long daily walks the spa was very welcoming and lovely that our teenage daughter was allowed a short session in the jacuzzi bath!

"Very friendly staff, nice clean rooms"
stephenbutterw0rth, 17 Octobre 2022

Very friendly staff as always, the bar lady was extremely busy but very helpful. My room was clean and tidy and you could tell that it was cleaned the same day as my arrival. I would recommend anyone from family to business personnel.

"Great everything but needs a bathroom door"
trailorg, 08 Octobre 2022

Loved the room, price, service and food but the bathroom didn't have a door on to the bedroom. Just didn't suit us and so wouldn't stay again unfortunately. Just needed a sliding door between the toilet and the bed otherwise it's open plan with someone being on the toilet and someone being in bed.

"Excellent hotel exceptional cleanliness and amazing food"
Claire W, 08 Octobre 2022

We returned here for a night 10 years after we got married. The hotel is immaculate. The extras that you can pay for in the room were lovely. Wine and chocolates exceptional. The restaurant at dinner and breakfast served the best food and I had the best breakfast I've had in a long time. Beautiful gardens. Staff go above and beyond. I would highly recommend the centurion

"Lovely hotel but overpriced compared to other best westerns"
carolinep323, 06 Octobre 2022

We stayed as needed to be local for friends who live near by. The lady on reception was lovely and nice that parking was free however its a bit dated in places and this doesn't warrant the price especially as Bath City is a short drive and there are better hotels cheaper ! The breakfast we had included in the room rate however if I hadn't of had this it definitely wasn't worth the extra cost they were charging . Would return only if prices were dropped and other hotels were fully booked up .

"Well run friendly hotel"
Nadinbros, 17 Septembre 2022

Our second stay and the reception were just as friendly, as we're the other members of staff we encountered. Both breakfast and room service meals were excellent. We stayed in the Leona suite and it had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.

"Never recomend for families"
Prejaneesh, 02 Septembre 2022

1. Extremely disappointed 2. Stayed with Family for vacation. But no swimming pool for kids and no pool access for adults as well 3. No place to walk around. Only 1 big Golf Place and there is always people for golf play. So the kids and family was unable to walk through 4. Most of the places of interests are far away (Around 1 hr of drive) from the hotel. So, the entire vacation is spent to drive through.. 5. There is no buffet breakfast. Only fixed menu for all the days and very few choices as well 6. Never recommend for anyone else. There are plenty of good hotels with the same price rate

"Lovely hotel with lovely grounds"
kelfish1992, 28 Août 2022

Lovely stay, was able to check in early which was great when having a little one. Lovely big rooms double bed & single & a travel cot with lots of space to move. Avoid room 221 very noisy by stairs with ppl passing up & down steps. Other then that no complaints at all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"Base of ops for Longleat"
72jhartley, 21 Août 2022

Stayed here for a single night prior to visiting nearby Longleat. Excellent clean rooms, helpful staff and breakfast. The only thing that would improve the setup would be ac in the rooms. We stayed on on of the hottest days of the year and felt it! The hotel did provide courtesy can in room but given the temp it was fighting an impossible fight. Would thoroughly recommend.

"Please check the milk prior to breakfast"
Mick1302, 19 Août 2022

We had white floaters in our tea and coffee which put us off drinking them, our server could not rectify the matter until a new delivery has been made. Personally I think the person in charge should consider finding fresh milk from a shop as it was only 07:15 probably lots more people to come for breakfast.

"Great facilities"
marknQ6666GB, 19 Août 2022

The gym and spa are really great. Super clean with great steam room, sauna and hot tub. Excellent range of high quality new machines in the gym. Better than many five star hotels. The outlook over the golf course is lovely. The restaurant had an excellent breakfast with good choices available. The room was clean and well appointed.

"Did the job"
kevvykevkev, 18 Août 2022

Stayed for business, didn't have dinner at the hotel. The hotel is a bit dated but clean and comfy enough. Good selection of tea/coffee in the rooms. The shower is good and has loads of settings. The breakfast is made to order and was nice enough

"B and b for 4 star prices ."
mlyd5, 08 Août 2022

Tired and worn out no aircon small fan in room a joke. Very noisy when weddings on later than midnight. Beds and pillows have seen better days. TtTheres much better value out there.no pool as advertised

"A good hotel on the whole"
tasman1967, 21 Juillet 2022

The location was nice and the amenities were good, on the whole a nice location to go to. there was a small issue with the toilet where the water was running throughout the night. The main thing I thought was not great was the eggs benedict sauce. other than that, everything was really nice, I would go and stay again.

"Average room for sky high price"
Pete M, 17 Juillet 2022

Booked two rooms for an overnight stay after a local wedding . the front and approach to the hotel is quite tatty down a little used track . The public rooms and gardens are lovely but the bedroom was quite basic though large , daft things like no where to plug the kettle in and no air con meant the £186 price tag without breakfast felt like a complete rip off .This is not London or even Bath but a little village in the middle of nowhere very hard in my view to justify that price and I will be very reluctant to book at a Best Western again The reception staff were nice and friendly but it really stuck out that no one asked if we had enjoyed our stay or had had any problems , no idea what the food was like as there was no way I was spending £8 each for Continental Breakfast or £15 each for full English !!

"Perfect stay"
Timebridge, 28 Juin 2022

Thank you so much for making our one night stay at the Centurion Hotel in Bath so perfect. From the comfortable bed and pillows to the bathroom facilities to the food and the extremely welcoming and helpful staff. We came for a family wedding arranged by the hotel and it was all done absolutely perfect.

"Wonderful stay"
saphomen25, 22 Juin 2022

Everything about my stay exceeded my expectations. The food was tasty, hot and plentiful. The room was clean with plenty of storage. Supplies of complimentary tea, coffee etc were plentiful and easily replenished via reception

"Excellent stay"
61Joy, 20 Juin 2022

Great location for exploring local towns and villages. Wells is beautiful. Helpful staff and clean comfortable rooms. We stayed for 3 nights and wanted to stay longer as so much more to do and explore. The view of the golf course was a wonderful extra.

"Superb!"
pensavill, 13 Juin 2022

This hotel has lovely grounds, beside a golf course, with masses of parking. The rooms are comfortable, the food was excellent and we had the friendliest, most caring staff ever. I was organising a society weekend attended by 16 people.

"Extremely poor value for money"
Visit0r57, 29 Mai 2022

We thought we would walk along for Sunday lunch . Only one choice of roast , otherwise pub grub, starter of goats cheese tasty, creamed mushrooms ok Main course unimpressive beef had 24 shin beef it looked like dog food , Yorkshire pudding not light or fluffy crisp but tough , and chewy , I would venture to say stale, tasteless gravy. The ice was grainy Why Ice Cream Can Become Grainy. Ice cream can take on a grainy texture if it melts and then refreezes! I sent it back but it was still Put on the bill????!!! We did get it taken off, why was it added. No one asked about our meal! No atmosphere . Missing Jubilee opportunity no flags or proMotion of any sort Mind after dinner experience I will not visit again

"Mrs"
Christine C, 10 Mai 2022

We had a great two night stay in a pleasant and clean well appointed room overlooking a tree lined golf course. What made the experience was the well trained staff. The delightful and very helpful head receptionist who welcomed us set the tone, and this continued with the charming waiting staff at dinner and breakfast. The food was excellent in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. All in all this hotel was very good value and we would happily use it again if in the area.

"Not good value"
Connector812539, 01 Mai 2022

We were in the area visiting family. Paid £175 for a twin room - TV set up for a double bed - so not easily viewable - for the person in the bed further from TV Tray of drinks etc - I biscuit and 4 small sachets of milk - told the receptionist when checking out . Who made a note on a post it - no apology! Kettle had to be forced under the cold tap in the bathroom in order to make a hot drink. One pillow standard on the beds. Found the other pillows in the morning- at top of wardrobe. All in all an expensive bed for the night!

"Outstanding Hotel"
Rex A, 19 Avril 2022

The Best Western Centurion Hotel is clean and comfortable with welcoming staff in a beatiful setting. The breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately we did not get the chance to try the lunch or dinner menus due to family commitments. We stayed in the Leona Suite, which exceeded our expectations in terms of luxury and comfort, and has wonderful views over the gardens and golf course.

"visiting relatives"
Stephen M, 13 Avril 2022

although we had room only all systems in place where acceptable and staff knowledgeable and attentive. services within the room all very good and there are amenities such as golf course and leisure club which would be a benefit for residents.

"Birthday party celebration"
neiltporter, 11 Avril 2022

Excellent and welcoming venue, nothing was too much trouble. Food and service was excellent and rooms very clean, functional and comfortable. Will want to return once the pool is available! We had a really enjoyable stay

"Always a pleasure"
jocooper2022, 08 Avril 2022

I have stayed at the Centurion Hotel three times now, I didn't eat in the restuarant this time but on previous visits have. The food is absolutely scrummy, I'd recommend a visit even if you're not staying. Breakfast I have eaten on every occasion - plenty of fresh choice. The rooms are incredibly clean with everything you could want, especially a super comfy bed. Thank you mostly to the amazing staff, each and every one are always keen to help and on hand to assist.

"The best Best Western?"
helshug, 03 Avril 2022

This was not our first stay at the Centurion and it won't be our last. We consider this to the best Best Western Hotel we've stayed at. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the rooms are always clean and well maintained and the breakfasts are very good. What more can you ask for?

"Best western"
amycullimore, 27 Mars 2022

Really pleasant stay here. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room and en suite very clean. Nice to have a smaller breakfast option. Decent coffee served in the bar. Nice sun terrace overlooking golf course. Very peaceful.

"Great stay"
Kev81Wales, 27 Mars 2022

The hotel is in a great location for visiting bath/Bristol/longleat and also places like Glastonbury. Froome is really pretty which is very close by. The staff are really lovely, and everyone was super helpful. Decent breakfast and they had vegetarian options The evening meal was nice (couple of vegetarian options ) but really limited for kids, and no veggie options. With a slightly better choice of kids meals, would have rated it 5 star not 4. The rooms was spotlessly clean, and quiet. I'd happily stay again.

"Very slow internet and TV not working"
Kwok Yuen L, 21 Mars 2022

Our room faced the car park. In the morning, people walking in the car park can see our room, not ideal for privacy. The room was small, and with two single sofa, there's not enough space to do simple exercise. The room was not well lit. TV was not working properly. The internet was very slow. The water pressure in the bathtub was ok but not great. The view of the restaurant was nice and the breakfast was good. There's free parking as well. It's not good value for money.

"Good room with lovely view"
Clive1234x, 21 Mars 2022

We had the Leona Suite which was great - two separate rooms, both with TV and a huge bathroom with feature bath. Lovely views over golf course (even though hotel is across the road from an industrial estate - you would never know) Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely breakfast cooked to order - You might wait a long time if its busy though.

"Wonderful stay"

Had a wonderful one night stay at the hotel. Everything was just right. Staff were very friendly especially the receptionist who was very helpful. Hotel was very clean. Breakfast was good and a good choice on the menu.

"Good stay"

Had a lovely stay here last weekend with my dad. The staff were lovely, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room we stayed in was nice. Dinner was yummy and the breakfast choices were really good, lots of choice. Thankyou for a good stay.

"Beautiful, hotel"
Culture319328, 07 Janvier 2022

This is a very clean, beautiful hotel, most of the staff was really helpful and the food was cooked beautifully and taste great. We didn't get to do much because of Covid-19 but overall my trip was relaxing. I'm looking forward to visit in summer because I believe there is more to enjoy then. There were a few minor issues but it was more to do with myself. I am very impressed with how clean the property was.

"Good Hotel"
thorncroftgu30, 29 Décembre 2021

Great Hotel with extensive grounds. Being disabled and in a wheelchair, the staff were very attentive. The young lady on reception even offered to remove the easy chairs in the room to give me a greater area to move around in. I had pre-booked a table in the restaurant for an evening meal with relatives, the staff had a table reserved for me at the bottom of the ramp into the restaurant. Food in restaurant and breakfast was good. The only down side was that, even though the room was accessible it did not have a wet room so no shower for me (but this is the case in 99% of accessible hotel rooms in UK).

"Comfortable Room"
828jasona, 13 Décembre 2021

Comfortable room with an excellent bathroom, nice reception area with a lovely Christmas tree. Very friendly staff. Not the hotels fault but we were left let down by other guests slamming the doors, noisy kid and general noise between room .

"Good Overnight Location"
hughess6, 01 Décembre 2021

Very good service and value for money. Loved the bathroom in the Leona Suite. A better selection of refreshments would have been nice. Service in the restaurant was very good with ample choice for breakfast and a lovely evening meal.

"THE Best of the Best"
Thomas Q, 23 Novembre 2021

Fantastic friendly staff. Great views over the golf course. Very clean comfortable room. Couldn't ask for more. Located in between Bath and Wells which is a beautiful place to visit. Can't praise this hotel and staff enough.

"Just brilliant!"
Tottontigger, 21 Octobre 2021

Had a short break at this hotel and can't wait to do it again! Really convenient location for a relaxing holiday. We left the car in the car park and walked to the nearby bus stop for days out in Bath and Wells. We enjoyed our one evening meal and breakfast was great, there being plenty to choose from. We had a nice comfortable room but above all else, the staff are absolutely awesome. Super friendly, very helpful and above all, just plain nice!

"Incredible staff experience"
341desf, 13 Octobre 2021

The staff are extremely friendly and this is a theme throughout the staff interaction, from reception to the spa. I stayed in the suite which is very comfortable and spacious. The spa is limited in equipment and not particularly inviting but the exercise suite is well equipped and the fitness instructors are friendly. The restaurant food was great and the staff wrote again amazing. Would definitely come back

"Lou the top supervisor"
651kanem, 07 Octobre 2021

Had a great stay at the Centurion, the food was really good, sampled a different dish every night for my evening meal and again from the breakfast menu so thanks to the kitchen staff. But id especially like to say thanks to Lou and her front of house team, as they are super friendly and helpful. Lou is a great supervisor, very friendly and welcoming, super chatty and smiley and cannot do enough for you! So thanks Lou! Hope to see you and your team again soon! Kane, insta @kmicrei x

"Excellent find"
Smokeraiser, 03 Octobre 2021

A very friendly hotel near to plenty of places to visit. Good value for money. Our large room overlooked the golf course, was well furnished. Dining is in the conservatory. Breakfast is full table service. Plenty of parking and easy to find.

"Won't be visiting again"
V1716PAdavec, 27 Septembre 2021

My dad and I stayed at this hotel last weekend while moving my daughter into her halls of residence. On our stay we were so disappointed on the service of food for the both nights we were there. On the Friday night we had booked a table for 19:30 only to find when we came to the reception fest we weren't booked in so had to wait for a table to be seated . We explained we had booked in but they had no proof of the booking , to witch the restaurant manager just told us to sit on a round table in the corner and we waited 20 min before we were even issued a menu. To cut a long story short for the price they charge for the hotel rooms per night the food was terrible and cold and felt like I was eating at aWetherspoons pub not a great western hotel. We came down for breakfast the nxt morning only to be put in a dark cold hall when there were clearly tables free . We complained then they sat us down at a table only to be forgotten and waited 40 min until someone came out table explaining we were forgotten about and they gave there apologies. The breakfast came out which want bad but when I asked do they have any beans for the full English they replied they don't do beans on a breakfast!!! Very confused . Won't be visiting the hotel again not a pleasant stay

"Lovely stay"
Linda C, 25 Septembre 2021

We stayed 3 nights. The staff are amazing and the food excellent, we ate one lunchtime there and three evening meals. The quality was excellent as was the choice and beautifully cooked too. If the gentleman had read the dessert menu properly the pannacotta was termed as gold hence the colour and the ice cream was salted caramel, it was delicious.

"Eat out"
Tiffin99, 24 Septembre 2021

Nice hotel, friendly staff. We had a garden view room for 4 nights, it was spacious and comfortable. Shower but no bath. Breakfast is good but we survived only one evening meal. The menu is rather narrow. Fish and chips had too many chips and not enough fish. Then the panacotta! It had some flavour added but was beige. So was the ice cream that came with it. So was the plate. Looked awful and tasted the same. There are a number of good pubs not far away - try the Old Down or the Italian restaurant Castillo. Location is good for Bath, Wells, Street and more.

"48 4 £48"
mtm1804, 22 Septembre 2021

Friendly hotel with staff that went of their way to assist. Nice backdrop to golf course at the rear of the hotel. Even when the hotel appeared to have full occupancy it was still peaceful and a restful place to be.

"Exceptional staff"
Les B, 17 Septembre 2021

We had a problem with our room and asked if we could change to a another room and this was dealt with in a very professional way by Karen on reception. We enjoyed our 3 night stay and dinner & breakfast was nice and the staff we encountered throughout our stay are what make this place so special. Parking is easy with ample spaces. Would stay again if we are in the area in the future.

"Centurion Hotel, Midsomer Norton"
PaulD6105, 13 Septembre 2021

A stay without problems. Met by a very friendly receptionist and from then on we had an excellent, relaxing break. All staff were helpful and polite at all times. The room was very comfortable with a delightful view across the golf course.

"Splendid Hotel: Great Staff"
Iain D, 13 Septembre 2021

From the welcome at Reception through the quietly efficient and very friendly service in the restaurant to the well thought out room facilities this was a great stay. Having just had an appalling couple of days in a Salisbury hotel the Centurion was like arriving at a cool and tranquil oasis after a long desert journey. Thank you!

"Wedding"
sarahaH3156CZ, 10 Septembre 2021

After booking with the centurion hotel for our wedding on the glass slipper package we had a uncertain time due to covid so had to re book another year later. But Mark Manley was amazing nothing was too much trouble he was friendly, bubbly and made our wedding day special we will definitely come back to visit. The weather was perfect and perfect scenery and grounds for photos. Thank you to all the staff who helped and a big special thank you to Mark Manley you are amazing! Sarah and Troy Vining

"Autumn 3day Break"
David J, 09 Septembre 2021

This is a excellent hotel to stay in for its location to the Somerset attractions. Staff very good and informative of what the local area can offer. Restaurant was very good and service first class. In these difficult times we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel

"Great place, location but access room needs attention"
Marty264, 05 Septembre 2021

The location and surroundings of the hotel were beautiful and just on the doorstep of the Mendip hills with easy access to Bath. The outlook, restaurant, food and service were also very good and the staff were really cheerful and helpful especially as my mum uses a wheelchair. The biggest problem was the access room, we managed as my mum can walk but the room just wasn't big enough for wheelchair users. The room arm chairs were squeezed in and left no room at all, however the biggest problem was the shower room. It was a step in shower that was very slippery. We could have asked for a bath mat but didn't as we didn't think they would be available due to COVID and they weren't offered due to potential accidents and liability. You need to ask for one. The step and slippery surface were a big negative. We also had to ask for extra tea, coffee, toilet rolls as there wasn't enough and we only had one or two drinks a day so we weren't abusing the facilities! These were small things but a nuisance to have to keep asking. On a positive, the hotel was spotless and the service was great, the staff were very obliging even getting the ramps out for us to go into the larger lounge so that we didn't have to sit in our room all night. A few things could easily be amended to make things better but the room situation is more of a problem.

"Disappointing exoerience"
227Cecile76, 31 Août 2021

Had a dreadful time at this hotel. Rooms very dark and dingey and cold. Restaurant food was awful and other diners complaining how bad the evening food was. Very rude staff including a threatening manager

"Bring your own pillow"
TheodosiaRussell, 29 Août 2021

I just want to say staff were super friendly and lovely!! This is not atall a reflection on them! We stayed Friday to Saturday night, the room was clean but there were a few areas that could do with a deep clean or replaced like the radiator in the bathroom, some areas had not been dusted aswell. Pillows were dreadful and made it extremely hard to sleep, well, we barely slept, my husband put towels under his pillow, I tried to angle and fold the pillow, the mattress was OK but we had doors slamming aswell during the night to. Double bed was very small it seem. TV was very basic, so bring entertainment of staying awhile, we like to have TV on in the background going to sleep but it was just pretty much channel's 1-5. Shower we had to turn the handle all the way to red to get some hot water. Breakfast prices were extremely expensive when being a family, it would of cost £12.50-£15 per person, with me being vegetarian and then having an 8 year old, it's not value so we did not bother with the restaurant, we also got multiple emails and asked when we checked in (I know staff have to ask) if we want to book breakfast. Positives again are staff, they were lovely! Though the few areas, overall the room was clean and felt clean. Plenty of seating and cupboard space if needed. Good check out times if needed. Location is OK, I guess depending on what you'll like to do. Curtains are good black out ones it seems If we were staying more then one night we would of mentioned the pillow situation or see if we could change, again, this is not about staff atall but I did not find it value for money as such, we wanted a good night sleep for a long drive the next day and spent most the night, if not all awake and sore in the morning.

"15/8/21 our Wedding"
E8600KPtanyab, 19 Août 2021

My husband and i (thats taking some getting used to haha) got married at the Centurion on Sunday, it was by far the best day ever!!! Both Mark, Bekka and all the team were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble. I cannot recommend this place enough. The wedding packages available are fantastic value for money. It takes the stresses away as people are in place to provide certain services for you. Thank you soooo much. We will be back xx

An enjoyable stay at this gem of a hotel. Excellent food and service, all staff very friendly, good size rooms, gym facilities good. would of given five stars but no swimming pool, needs to be made clear this hasn't been available for about three years apparently.

"Great location…excellent service"

Lovely hotel, great views. Good selection of vegetarian and vegan options. Leisure facilities were. Disappointment, pool was closed m hot tub blower was not working. G6m was great, well equipped and never busy

"The staff make this place!"
alexhall7, 03 Août 2021

This exceeded expectations, when you enter through reception there is a lovely sitting room straight ahead when you first enter. The reception staff are warm and friendly and couldn't have provided a better service. The great hospitality continued as we were shown around the gym and spa. The restaurant was wonderful, albeit a small menu to choose from the food was insane. The breakfast was also insane. The staff really make this place as they are so accommodating and it was a wonderful break. The rooms are modern and clean too.

"A nice hotel"
Martin U, 02 Août 2021

The staff make this hotel. House keeping, Leisure Reception and Dining Room Manager were all excellent. Facilities were very good and an excellent spa room with Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Gym all good. Didn't get to try the golf, shame I didn't bring the clubs. Depite some pictures of a swimming pool on some sites there is no pool. Make sure to check the official site when booking for all up to date info.

"Typical BW Hotel"
Johnro46, 02 Août 2021

The hotel is very impressive looking, in a countryside surrounding with attached 9 hole golf course. Receception was quick and easy in these Covid times and the head receptionist was delightfully friendly and helpful as are all staff at this hotel. The room was clean with good facilities, although not serviced during our stay due to the pandemic. It was a fairly large room and the beds were comfortable. The letdown for this establishment on this ocassion was the restaurant and food, which is why we only rated as 3 star. On all three days of our stay, menu items were unavailable at breakfast and the only meal we had here was served on cold plates, with a pork chop that was so tough you could have soled shoes with it. Restaurant staff were very friendly, polite and obliging, but were unable to offer an alternative or reduction on the meal. Hopefully we just caught the restaurant on an 'off night', and overall we would return here again and can recommend it to other users.

"Fantastic hotel"
Lynne R, 29 Juillet 2021

We stayed here for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast and a meal in the restaurant on the first evening basis. The hotel is spotless and the staff are superb. We stayed in room 212 on the first floor a double room. The bed was a king size bed and the room was a very large room. Again spotless. We ate in the restaurant on all the evenings as the food and the service was excellent. The staff could not do enough for you be it in the bar the restaurant reception or any other areas. The staff made you feel very relaxed and welcome. We were sorry to leave this hotel One of the best we have stayed in in the UK. I'm sure we will visit again.

"3 night 60th Birthday Treat"
ShaunKimT, 27 Juillet 2021

Hotel was exactly as my wife and i expected as we have stayed in other Best Western Hotels that are similar, nice greating on arrival even though we were very early, plenty of safe parking too, large twin room on upper floor with golf coarse view exactly as requested and booked, nice large tv, the only criticisms i have is the fan in the bathroom was very dirty and clogged with dust which continued down the wall also, plus the fan supplied for the room that was in a sealed plastic bag was also very dusty, milk sachets were down behind large tv unit which highlights the room was not thoroughly cleaned, not quite 4 star observations,i do realise the situation we have all been in for 18 months or more and things are not back to normal yet but i still feel these issues shoud not be occuring, i did not feel the need to mention it to any staff though because i felt all were doing thier best, All the staff we met from reception, housekeeping, bar, dining, and spa were very pleasent and very helpful so could not wish for more, this has been our expierience at all our Best Western stays so far so long may it continue, the only thing i was annoyed about was the gratuity charge i discovered on my reciepts when we ate in the hotel bar and resteraunt that had been automaticaly charged, this totalled more than £14 for 3 visits i did see on the menu in small print that there was a gratuity charge so did not want to make a fuss as the staff were doing so well and seemed slightly stretch at times. i belive a gratuity is something a company pays thier employee not a paying guest/customer at the hotel, it should be my decision if i wish to reward staff a moneytary gift for their services not automatcaly added to the bill without my knowledge or agreement at least, i suppose i am not accustomed to charges like this and personally do not agree with them, all that said we would not hesitate to stay at the Centurion again as our overall experience was great.

"Friendly staff, delicious food"
Loobz78, 25 Juillet 2021

We used a Wowcher deal for 3 nights, fantastic value for money. Most impressed with the food in the restaurant, a good variety of options and produced to a high standard. Breakfast in particular was superb, with lots of options. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. My partner did find the bed a little uncomfortable and the room was very warm; there was a desk fan available. I would certainly recommend to others who are visiting the area, a 10 min journey to Bath Park and Ride.

"Wedding"
michaellU4851AH, 25 Juillet 2021

Hotel booked for family and friends for Wedding at nearby Priston Mill on 23 July. Front of House staff Professional and extremely helpful st all times. Room team very polite and friendly always ready with a smile and a 'Good morning'.Restaurant and Bar team were attentive and professional and as a young group made a very favourable impression providing a welcoming environment to all.

"Easy access room does not mean wheelchair accessible"
tctrencrom, 18 Juillet 2021

Very disappointed, travelled 200 miles, having phoned twice and a friend visited to check we could get in with a wheelchair. Sadly the bathroom door opened inwards so for a full time wheelchair user it wasn't possible to close door. Large step into shower 6". Beds 27" + high. Drove back home same day.

"Great place, great food, service and grounds"
Jeff H, 10 Juillet 2021

We had as 3 day break in Bath and chose this place, by accidnet but what a great result. It was further out of bath than we thought but...what a joy. Staff were freidnly and helpful (thank you Emmilime, Laurie, Kirsty and Steph for the food service). The food was excellent, breakfast was varied but always well cooked and presented. We had two evening meals int eh end becuase it was so good. The Satay Starter and the red curry main were wonderful.

"Wowcher deal"
501kimmy415, 07 Juillet 2021

We stayed using the wowcher deal for 3 nights. The room was very comfortable and great facilities. The food was delicious and the breakfast has a great choice. Waiting staff seemed to be short staffed but they were fantastic so didn't mind a bit of a wait. Highly reccomend.

"Atrocious customer service from the 'manager'"
johnoV9353WJ, 07 Juillet 2021

Appalling customer service. Attended a meeting at this hotel and used the car park on site. During the 30 minutes the car was parked another vehicle caused a mass of damage to my car. Only one camera on site covering the car park entrance/exit Requested the manager review the cctv to check this small window for a car with the same colour as the paint transfer entering or exiting the car park. Told very bluntly that vehicles are parked at own risk and that they would not review the footage as there were lots of vehicles coming and going (not on Tuesday morning AFTER school drop off times). There was never an indication that the hotel was to blame, simply a request to help identify the vehicle as part of a police report so that I wouldn't be out of pocket for the lengthy repairs. Incredibly unhelpful, poor customer service skills and seriously need to sort their defensive attitudes out

"Fantastic wedding!"
debbiedS2694KD, 27 Juin 2021

We got married here yesterday and truly had the best day of our lives. Mark, Bekka and the rest of the team made the day flow like a dream to make it very special for us. All the guests commented on how amazing the food was and many said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. We cannot thank them enough for their care and attention to detail and support through Covid restrictions to make it incredible for us. The wedding suppliers again made it all so fabulous, I cant praise you all enough, just awesome!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

"A beautiful hotel with really friendly staff"
ChristineT449, 26 Juin 2021

A beautiful hotel, we stayed fir 3 nights in the Leona Suite. The room was fabulous a large lounge, bedroom and magnificent bathroom. The Covid safety was excellent and the staff were friendly and very helpful and efficient. The quality of the breakfast was excellent, great choices too. We have been away for 4 weeks in the last 6 covering 8 different hotels and this was easily one of our favourites.

"Perfect"
Angie71c, 25 Juin 2021

We have just returned from a 3 night stay & couldn't recommend this hotel more. The staff were all lovely, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was immaculately clean & very comfortable. The food was lovely, we had breakfast & dinner & our only complaint was no beans with breakfast.

"Lovely comfortable stay"
Nicky K, 24 Juin 2021

We stayed for one night whilst visiting Longleat. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was easily accessible and close to the car park and hotel amenities. The room was very clean and comfortable for an overnight stay. The bathroom looked fairly new and was very clean with a shower over bath. The bed was super comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. We also ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious. All in all it was a great stay for a really reasonable cost. My only niggle was that the lighting was really dim in the room, but it didn't bother us much for one night. We would definitely stay again.

"A very pleasant stay in Midsomer Norton."
416stevew, 18 Juin 2021

The location was very convenient for visiting friends and family in the area, and the 3 nights for 2 deal with breakfast included was what decided us. The hotel was comfortable and all staff were friendly and helpful, and the receptionist, Todd, who greeted us, went to extraordinary lengths to ensure that we had our preference of a room with a bathtub, and not just a shower. Dinner on the first evening was excellent and reasonably priced, and though the breakfast choices were a bit limited, having freshly cooked items is always better than a tired buffet. I used the fitness room one morning which was well equipped, clean and well organised with booking slots to prevent overcrowding, and we felt comfortable with all the necessary distancing and hygiene measures. It was pleasant enough sitting outside one evening for a drink, and again, all the staff we had contact with were unfailingly polite, welcoming and friendly.

"Fantastic staff"
R5m1th, 17 Juin 2021

Really enjoyed our two nights stay here, lovely setting overlooking the golf course, clean rooms, good food and special mention to the excellent staff who were all friendly and very helpful throughout our stay.

"Wonderful Wedding"
U881SIhayleys, 16 Juin 2021

We recently got married at the Centurion under their glass slipper package, which is amazing value for money. I honeslty cannot fault the staff there and the organisation. Given restrictions were in place, this didn't affect our day in the slightest, both Bekka and Mark couldn't do enough for us, no job or task was too much and we were looked after so well. The food was incredible, and they even created the most perfect desert based on my love of panna cotta! I couldn't have imagined a more perfect day, and I'm so so glad we picked the Centurion as the place we wanted as our wedding venue, the best service we ever could have imagined receiving!

"Short Break"
davidgY5806SO, 15 Juin 2021

Stayed for two nights. A very enjoyable stay with excellent food and service and with very friendly and professional staff. No delays in being welcomed and seated at mealtimes despite ongoing Covid requirements. We hope to return in the near future.

"Successful Covid-wise long weekend"
Modigli, 13 Juin 2021

Cheerful and helpful Reception staff. Strenuous efforts being made to observe Covid-19 safeguards. Breakfast and Dinner very good, but a long wait for Sunday dinner. Would definitely revisit in healthier times, to experience the hotel when all restrictions removed

"Family half term break"
Takeaway20, 07 Juin 2021

Stayed in this gorgeous hotel for 3 nights in May half term . Family room was large, clean , modern bathroom , lots of towels and tea& coffee . What a beautiful hotel this is . Gorgeous bar, restaurants and attractive lounge area . Very attentive friendly staff especially at breakfast . We also ate in the restaurant one night . Varied menu , freshly prepared and not too long to wait. Used the gym & spa which had to be booked in advance . My son & husband wanted to play golf but unfortunately had forgotten their clubs & were told due to Covid it was not possible to hire them which seemed a little OTT . Outside grounds were very pretty and it was warm enough to sit and have a drink in the garden which was lovely . Definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Somerset as it is close to all the major attractions, in a beautiful location with great staff and decor .

"Excellent"
Claire S, 31 Mai 2021

Hotel is tucked away with a beautiful vista. From arrival to checkout we have been thoroughly looked after. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated, beds are very comfortable and the staff are a credit to their owners. Food and service exceeded our expectations. Nothing is too much trouble.covid facilities are very good hand sanitizer everywhere. Will certainly return

"Fantastic stay at Centurion"
Happymujer, 30 Mai 2021

The staff at this hotel make this a must go to hotel. Clean, spacious, comfortable room with excellent facilities. Tod Philips on reception is outstanding and is so accommodating and professional. We were so impressed and supported by him. He arranged trips, he made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special. I cannot sing his praises higher. The ladies in the restaurant are fantastic too. Nothing was too much trouble. I am a wheelchair user, they went out of their way and totally looked after me. The chef is magnificent, our T-bone steak was excellent as were all our meals. Breakfast is perfect! We never left the hotel to eat elsewhere as the menu was so enjoyable. It's worth staying here for the friendliness of the staff alone.

"Amazing Food"
jgregorimm12, 30 Mai 2021

Booked through Wowcher, a deluxe room which was massive, for 2 nights B&B with dinner on 1 night. I didn't realise that dinner had to be taken on the first night. However it was extremely delicious. My Partner who has stayed in many hotels over the years around the World said his Red Snapper Main meal was one of the best meals he has ever had in a hotel. The dark chocolate dessert was phenomenal too with a raspberry coulis. Included in our price was a glass of Prosecco each which went down nicely too. The restaurant overlooks the golf course which is a stunning view. The bed was huge however the pillows were not very comfortable as they were too soft. On entering the room it felt very warm. Even though the radiator was off. A desk fan was provided in the wardrobe however I had to use my own phone charger to plug this in as it was a usb cable but no socket. Hangers also provided in the wardrobe and a full length mirror. There were 2 chairs by the TV which were very low to sit on. Plus a desk chair and a sofa. The windows did open though too. Overlooking a pond which was also a nice view to look out on. Good black out curtains on top of window blinds. A hairdryer was provided in the desk which was powerful enough. Internet speed was poor. The bathroom is decorated to a high standard with a double rain shower which was superb. Standard tea & coffee facilities provided in the room also. However we did not use these. Towels were of good soft quality and size. A bathmat was also provided. The bathroom has an extractor fan which stays on with the light. No lift and 2 flights of stairs. We also used the spa facilities which consist of a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi spa. This was a nice clean and quiet area to relax in albeit small. The jacuzzi spa isn't very powerful at all though in terms of bubbles/blowers. Towels were provided at the spa reception however you do have to take them back to the same reception when used. Thought this was a bit odd as they were wet. So I'd recommend a towel bin in the changing room. Which were also unisex, that we found to be weird. Also that we had to walk through the gym to get out. I appreciate the 1 way system however surely minimising the amount of people that we pass would be more efficient. The hotel itself is in Radstock which is about a 20 minutes drive to Bath. Which costs about £30 in a taxi. Breakfast offering was good with a varied selection. All staff encountered were friendly, informative, polite and helpful.

"Superb 3 Night Stay"
Carl T, 28 Mai 2021

My wife and myself have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Centurion hotel and I would just like to express our thanks and gratitude to all the members of staff in making our stay so memorable. We really cannot fault the hotel in anyway with the staff friendliness and helpfulness second to none, Nothing was too much trouble for any of them and everybody had a smiling face. The hotel was excellent in terms of cleanliness, quality of food and facilities. We really had a wonderful time and thank you once again,

We had to travel for business and medical reasons and the hotel did its very best to look after us during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff are very approachable and friendly. Well done to all of them.

"Wowcher Scam"
dorisdF3402OL, 05 Mai 2021

Booked a Wowcher voucher, hotel not answering the phone when it did yesterday, i was informed that no dates were avilable in the timescale that the voucher had left on it ( 3 months). Staff memeber(a man) was not very helpful, i said to him so basically i have a voucher i cannot use, he said yes.

"Dishonest"
Go742602, 19 Avril 2021

We bought a Living Social voucher for a stay here, but couldn't use it due to Covid. Called earlier this year and was categorically told it would be extended till the end of August 21. Tried to use it today to coincide with a theatre booking and the manager basically called me a liar and said I couldn't possibly have been told that and the extension was only until the end of July. I now have a worthless voucher. On the plus side, I have just read that this hotel is up for sale as the company that owns it has gone into administration! Karma is a wonderful thing...

"Friendly staff, room not agronomic."
domknight838, 24 Mars 2021

Shower sprayed water in all directions, desk seats were so low the table was up to my neck, tv so slow it would struggle to simply turn on. Good points: staff were exceptional and kind, room was clean and tidy.

"Great hotel with friendly staff"
andyfreeman2021, 20 Janvier 2021

Exactly what you want from a good hotel chain. Friendly staff, clean and stylish rooms and decent food. Only drawbacks are the lack of a lift and leaky, single glazed windows that allow monster drafts through.

"Pre Christmas family visit"
andynatholidaymad, 22 Décembre 2020

We choose this hotel due to its location to our family and was very surprised by the level of room we had, although we did have their lovely suite, which is well worth the extra money and only adds to your experience at this hotel, The quality of both the breakfast and the restaurant meal was over and above what we had expected. All the staff were very friendly and attentive during our stay.

"Family meeting"
popbetenson, 14 Décembre 2020

We met our daughter here to exchange Christmas presents. It was a fabulous hotel, and all the staff were very helpful. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant that evening, even though our daughter was on the next table. (Covid restrictions), and the breakfast was good the next morning. We visit the west country frequently, and will definitely be using this hotel in the future.

"Absolutely beautiful hotel."
Emmasnell, 03 Novembre 2020

The rooms were modern and spotless, fantastic nights sleep. The grounds were lovely, enjoyed sitting out the garden and having a stroll around the golf course. Ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant having a full english and the steak, mushroom and brie pie. Great quality produce. Covid safe. Most definitely will be coming back when the spa has re-opened.

"A Great couple of Days Away"
Steve H, 01 Novembre 2020

My wide and I stayed at the BW Centurion for 3 nights. Really it was just a quick getaway and was a result of the various travel restrictions currently in place. That said I am so glad we found this place. We had 3 nights there and wished it could have been longer. Firstly and mainly - all of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. From our first check in to the restaurant team - everyone was great and no requests refused. We stayed in the Leonna Suite. This is quite a large room as you would expect - with a dining table, seating area, and separate large bedroom. The bathroom was also a bit special with large bath tub, walk in shower and his and her sinks with a lot of room in there. The room was comfortable and clean. The restaurant was also comfortable being split into two - small main dining area and a number of other tables in the conservatory. The menu was your usual offerings of steak, fish, burger and veg option. The food was very good, good portions - (the fish on the fish and chips was huge- recommended). We ate there for the 3 nights. and also took advantage of the breakfast each morning - again a good choice and portions. The hotel is situated ideally to discover Bath , Wells, Glastonbury and Chedder Gorge. We drove to all of these locations and explored the area. There is a golf course attached to the hotel with also a spa / gym. We ran out of time to try these facilities. It is obvious that the hotel is applying all guidelines when it comes to the Covid situation and despite this the hotel was still comfortable and accommodating. As I said we only had 3 nights there as a quick break - We would (will) go back again. Thank you to the Centurion and all the staff for a great few days. Hopefully see you soon again.

"Just what it says on the tin"
Sporty3334, 29 Octobre 2020

Great value hotel with very helpful and professional staff. Facilities were a bit tired but for the money, spot on. The breakfast was very good and the staff did their best to keep up with demand. We enjoyed our stay here.

"Feels like home"
SANDRA C, 27 Octobre 2020

Have stayed at The Centurion many times and have always been extremely satisfied with the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms and the excellent service of the staff. Given the current Covid situation we felt very comfortable in all common areas of the hotel and were impressed with the safety precautions currently in place.

"Nice hotel, very helpful and friendly staff"
A D, 26 Octobre 2020

Very helpful and friendly staff. Convenient location for visiting Bath, Wells, Salisbury, Stonehenge etc without paying city centre prices. Lovely breakfast, nice evening meals too. The only problem was the lack of lighting in the room - even with all the lights on, it was still dark - but the room was very comfortable otherwise.

"Lovely 1 night stop off!"
Steph W, 25 Octobre 2020

We stayed for 1 night as a stop off on our way to Cornwall. Love the suite, the bathroom was definitely the highlight. We had room service for dinner which was lovely and chilled. We used the Spa for an hour which was nice after driving all day. We didn't use the bar/restaurant so can't comment on those. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

"Relaxing Weekend Break"
46heidih, 09 Octobre 2020

Arrived fairly late at the hotel at 10pm, but receptionist was friendly and check in was quick. We booked a deluxe room and was definitely worth paying extra. The room was huge with a super king size bed and a sofa. It was all very clean and well looked after. The room overlooked a pond and the golf course, which was very pleasant. The room was very hot with the radiator blaring when we arrived. We turned it off and had the window open all weekend (October) We opted for room only, so can't comment on breakfast. As we visited while there were still COVID restrictions, the spa had a booking system. We had a day out in the rain and booked for 5.30pm. Considering current COVID restrictions, the water in the spa pool was very cloudy, so decided not to go in. The staff said that it had been heavily used and was due to be drained and cleaned. As we weren't using it, he proceeded to drain and clean it, so that it would be ready for us to use in the morning. When we got to the spa in the morning it was crystal clear and very clean. The only down side was that the pump wasn't working so there were no jets!! A little disappointing, but we used the sauna instead, which was lovely. We avoided the steam room, as it smelt very musty and didn't smell clean. We didn't use the gym and the swimming pool was closed for refurbishment (but we knew this before booking) We had dinner here and the food was lovely. Plenty of parking and a quiet location. Perfectly central for exploring Somerset. Overall a very pleasant stay and would go back.

"Great hotel for price, friendly and excellent food"
fional903, 07 Octobre 2020

Really enjoyed the stay. Comfortable and clean. Enjoyed really good food - well above what you would expect. Super friendly and helpful staff, making even a COVID world hotel experience nice! Plenty of space for parking. Safe and secure. Windows open for fresh air and ventilation - so not an AC sealed box of a room!

"Suited us perfectly. "
alan_crockert, 28 Septembre 2020

Every single member of staff we met were really friendly, which always helps, but rarely happens. 9 hole golf course is adjacent to the hotel, and indeed the bar and restaurant are situated at the golf club, however it's an internal 2 min walk through the property to get there. The grounds are really nice and might be worth checking if there is a wedding on. There was when we were there but with Covid restrictions on numbers, it was quiet. Food excellent.

"Good hotel with amazing staff"
iprodrick, 26 Septembre 2020

We stayed here for 5 nights as part of our 11 day trip to Somerset. Booked directly on the best western site and got a good price on the Leona suite. The check-in experience was great and the receptionist friendly and helpful. The suite was very large and consisted of a very large bathroom with freestanding bath and walk in shower and a separate lounge with large screen TV. Unfortunately I would not choose this room again unless some changes are made. There is no door, or floor to ceiling wall between the bathroom and the bedroom, as a result when I got up earlier than my wife, the automatic lights would come on in the bathroom, and therefore into the bedroom and any WC / shower use noise also transferred into the room. Not great. The room overlooked the garden seating area and golf course, but as there was no net curtains we had to be cautious of being near the window unless fully dressed as on the 1st floor. Bar area and breakfast was very good, again with amazing and friendly staff. evening meal option was limited due to covid and offered no variety day to day, an occasional special on the menu would have been good. The website indicates that mineral water is included in the room and that is not the case, when I requested from reception was told I could get via room service, so clearly not a covid thing, it just not included anymore Would definitely stay here again, but as stated would avoid suite unless door installed and walls built up to ceiling

"Lovely!"
Skydiver012, 26 Septembre 2020

Despite the pool being drained, all the ornaments and cushions being gone and bare tables, the atmosphere here was lovely and the staff couldn't do enough. A lazy evening overlooking the golf course with a Pimms was just what was ordered on a business trip. Tea and coffee were still in the room and I took porridge as the breakfast bag wasn't suitable for dairy intolerant people. You get one set of towels and one shampoo now so you might have to request more if needed. The staff got me lactose ree ilk in for my coffee which was very nice of them. Chape price also.

"Exemplary, welcoming and friendly service from all the staff"
Iamdmaiden, 24 Septembre 2020

Stayed at this hotel with my sisters for four days and, from arrival to departure, the service was exemplary. The staff are welcoming and very friendly. Having stayed at other hotels, I can definitely say that they need to train staff at other hotels. Strongly recommend that, if you are planning to stay near Bath, then book here. I doubt that you will be disappointed. Thank you to all at the Centurion.. you made my birthday celebrations very memorable.

"What a delight!"
FamilyofFoodies, 23 Septembre 2020

Lovely setting, extremely competent friendly experienced staff, spotlessly clean & well maintained and make sure to dine in - the food is excellent. The grounds overlooking the golf course are a lovely place to sit and enjoy a drink. Can't go wrong!

"Lovely place."
jbags, 17 Septembre 2020

Room on ground floor, very spacious, clean, excellent shower and bathroom. School opposite, parents use the carpark as a drop off. Slightly noisier at school time. Bed big and slightly harder than used to. Good wardrobe space. Good tv and brew facilities. Staff in bar and restaurant very helpful and accommodating. Here with Covid restrictions, most customers abided by the rules, the staff did not enter your room and directives were provided to solve all queries. Great location to visit lots of places, used as a base to do so. Would stay again.

"Pleasant and comfortable weekend."
hlpendula, 09 Septembre 2020

Booked a 3-for-2 weekend through the Best Western offer. We found the hotel was well located and serviced the local golf course. We booked a golf course view room on the ground floor which was close to the Reception but did not suffer from any noise whatsoever. Understandably, due to covid, some of the facilities were reduced but did not impact our stay. The room was very clean and tidy and appeared that it maybe had been decorated during lockdown. All of the staff we had contact with were especially polite and smiling and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was served at the restaurant table and not in a box as described. All of the food was of high quality although the dinner menu had been reduced to cope with Covid staffing levels. Overall we had a very pleasant and relaxing break. No air conditioning in the room and we found the continental quilts very heavy.

"Friendly"
Lizc16, 09 Septembre 2020

The room was modern and clean. The restaurant/bar staff are friendly and happy to help. Unfortunately it was difficult to social distance while there as there was a group who didn't social distant and didn't social distant anyone else. Overall, lovely stay

"Very Good Hotel"
jeffnorthlondon, 29 Août 2020

I booked 3 rooms for my family members and myself to attend a family birthday party in nearby Coleford (Radstock). I was delighted with the safety, the size of the room, the exceptionally comfortable bed and pillows. We all asked for non feather pillows and they were provided. The tea & coffee making facilities were a pleasure. My room only had a shower in the bathroom which was fine, as a never bathe. My room overlooked the adjoining golf course which was lovely. The bar was comfortable and well stocked. My only criticism is that if you want water, you have to order it from room service. I will have no hesitation in staying there again when in the area.

"Brilliant hotel"
Gerry H, 26 Août 2020

We were following the John o'groats to lands end bike ride lead by our eldest son . They are raising awareness of mental health & raising funds for Mind. “Kelly's Heroes “Is a tribute to our beautiful granddaughter who we lost to Suicide . The hotel accommodated us fantastically Considering the difficult times at present. The rooms were spotless & very comfortable. The staff were lovely, & dinner was fabulous. Thank you all !

"Excellent service"
Bryan D, 23 Août 2020

Just had a lovely weekend break at this hotel. All of the employees are excellent with a very natural and engaging service approach. Breakfast and dinner also was excellent and very high quality. Would highly recommend this hotel.

"Lovely staff"
C8375GUpaulk, 22 Août 2020

Me and my wife spent 5 days at the Best Western Centurion at Radstock and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a deluxe room overlooking the garden and golf course. The view was lovely and the room was huge! The bed was enormous and very comfortable. What struck us most though was how lovely all the staff were. Nothing was too much trouble and they really went out of their way to help us on multiple occasions. We definitely hope to visit again.

"Highly recommended "
gerdos2017, 16 Août 2020

This was a last minute, extension of a family visit. We stayed with a view of the gardens/golf course the room was nice style . We had the hot breakfast box which was high quality and a good choice to choose from . We enjoyed the restaurant so Much we ate both njghts. Staff in the restaurant went above and beyond I think the ladies names were Heather and Emmalin. The only downfall was the room was so hot a small fan was provided but didn't really do much .

"Last minute booking"
TrudyR198, 16 Août 2020

After booking a different hotel but finding the facilities and safety not paramount, my friends and I decided to find somewhere else. The Best Western was a fantastic find. The staff where friendly and extremely helpful. The safety was paramount and fully adhered to. The rooms were very clean. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the manageress was helpful and friendly.

"Nice hotel"
davidmk1975, 25 Juillet 2020

First hotel after lockdown, so a little nervous. The staff were really really amazing though, and the hotel really quiet, so felt pretty normal. The room was a family room, nice size for all 3 of us. Nice location on the golf course, and close enough to get to Longleat Safari Park the next day. Had a problem with the make up of the breakfast boxes, not really worth what you pay, but hotel was happy to refund. Be better if they just served in the restaurant as that is open. Really nice food in the restaurant, and fabulous friendly staff throughout.

"2 nights stay - during the Covid crisis"
susietyrrell, 23 Juillet 2020

All the staff were brilliant - friendly, helpful and cheerful. The restaurant manageress was very good. Unfortunately the spa and pool were closed. the gardens are small but really well maintained and lovely.

"Excellent Hotel "
Ian B, 22 Juillet 2020

Spent two nights at this hotel visiting family. As this is the first stop in a hotel since “lockdown” we were a little nervous. However, the friendly staff put us at ease. The service was excellent all around the hotel from the check in desk through to the bar and restaurant. We had a lovely room overlooking the gardens and golf course. We will definitely be back!

"Would return"
Amandamariex2, 15 Juillet 2020

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, really lovely hotel and grounds. Close to amenities and what we needed, rooms were spotless on arrival. Not cleaned during stay due to Covid which is understandable, would return to this hotel without a doubt. It was so peaceful too, never heard another soul. Staff were very friendly. WiFi didn't work in bedroom but that didn't bother us. Thank you for a lovely stay.

"It's not bad"
joemC8236EZ, 22 Février 2020

Not a huge fan of Best Western hotels they tend to be modelled on dated American hotels. This one is ok, it's clean and does the job, wouldn't go out of my way to stay here however. The spa is a little odd, it appears to be a rain shower and two hot tubs, this appears to gain the hotel the ‘plus' in the Best Western Plus!

"Very Friendly Staff"
Y1557MKgarym, 05 Février 2020

Well impressed by this hotel ,Stayed here 3rd - 5th Feb 2020, Very comfortable, lovely food and Staff were very Professional and friendly, Hopefully I will be visiting again, Not one bad word to say at all,

"Very impressed"
CraigS95, 25 Janvier 2020

I only stayed here one night but in the past I have found Best Western to be very hit and miss and had more bad experiences than good. This was an excellent experience. The hotel is everything I expect when away with work. Comfy. Great WiFi. Proper towels in the room. Well equipped. And I only had a standard room too. The food was lovely and reasonably priced and everyone very friendly. Ell Recommended

"Very Comfortable overnight stay"
S4fetyman, 17 Janvier 2020

When arriving at the hotel there was ample free parking, the check in procedure was efficient and the lady on the desk was very polite. the room was clean and very spacious, my evening meal was very tasty though the beer was a tad expensive. a very good night sleep which is very unusual for me as I am a bad sleeper. breakfast was excellent and the quality of the food was super.

Parsjo, 12 Janvier 2020

My visit was an absolute delight from start to finish. Staff were all very friendly and polite. My room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was very nice you catered for everyone.lots of choices. Room was very comfortable. Thank you x

"Great stay"
foxielady1973, 04 Janvier 2020

We stayed here for one night on New Years Day as has wanted a hotel within 30 minutes of Longleat that had on site parking. We arrived just after 8pm and were warmly greeted at reception. Checkin was quick and easy and the reception was friendly and informative. Our room was much better than we were expecting - modern, clean and comfortable. We had a cooked breakfast in the morning, which was very good and the waitress was welcoming and helpful. The car park was large and had plenty of space. We will definitely be booking again if we need to stay in the area.

"Good hotel for a good price"
JamieNichols1989, 04 Janvier 2020

We stayed here for one night after a day out in Bath. Hotel is located in a quiet location just outside of the town Midsomer Norton. Rooms were nice with good bedding, tea and coffee selection and a newly fitted bathroom. Service at the front was good and there was a well stocked bar to have a drink in during the evening

"New Year's Eve"
Nonetheles123, 02 Janvier 2020

The manager at the centurion booked a heavy mental band to play all night, resulting in 80% of guests leaving very up set . Our group paid over £200 to have what we thought was going to be a good time with music and dancing and instead had to sit llistening to pink flloyd up to 10:30 with nobody able to dance. When we complained to the manager he said he liked pink flloyd that's why he booked them with no apology and no consideration to a paying customer, we will never go back again.

"Always a pleasure"
Alan S, 10 Décembre 2019

I stay at this hotel regularly, business travel, I sometimes invite guests to dinner here as well, the restaurant is great, staff are always very friendly, food is always fresh, very well cooked and very well presented.

"Dated and very thin walls"
JLM71, 26 Novembre 2019

I stay in the area every week and usually stay in Wells but thought I would give this hotel a go. The hotel is very dated, the area around the bar and the bar itself looks like it hasn't been finished. Not a nice relaxing comfortable environment at all, in fact it is pretty grim. Restaurant is soulless and uninspiring. Staff however are really lovely and food was good. Room was clean and comfortable but the walls are very very thin. As solo business traveller I won't stay here again.

"Fantastic hote, lovely staff"
CheshireMabel39, 23 Novembre 2019

First stay here and definitely won't be the last. Everything was great, room was lovely and very clean. Great range of room beverages. Staff were friendly and helpful. The TV wasn't working in the room and Hannah the receptionist was quick to get the problem fixed. Breakfast was varied. The porridge was the best I've tasted. Definitely staying again.

"Lovely setting"
Sandra M, 21 Octobre 2019

Hotel set in the grounds of a golf course which gave me a lovely view from my window. Sadly not all rooms have this view. My room was clean and nicely appointed. Breakfast was good with sufficient choice and the evening meal very enjoyable. Good location for Wells, Bath and Bristol and NT places.

"Very cosy and friendly hotel"
Al3x01234, 10 Octobre 2019

Very cosy and friendly hotel. The staff are all delightful. The rooms are clean and cosy. Nothing too exciting but functional and pleasant. The restaurant food is excellent, the restaurant itself is not traditional in its decor or design but it somehow works really rather well. Very pleasant. Nice scans, steam and hot tub. Shame the pool isn't open.

"Lovely"
Sylvia1941, 23 Septembre 2019

Enjoyed a overnight stay in the hotel My room was large and clean with beautiful view of a pond and countryside Dinner was nice and portions were ample My breakfast was lovely and staff in the restaurant were very attentive

"Best Value Sunday Lunch"
poirot56, 22 Septembre 2019

First time visit to this hotel which I combined with a train ride at the Somerset & Dorset Railway at Midsomer Norton. I had booked lunch for 12.15 but arrived a bit early however this was not a problem & the friendly staff soon had us sat at our table in the conservatory. Thankfully air conditioned this room has a really lovely outlook onto the golf course. Our order was swiftly taken and it was not long before our roast beef lunch was served. Plated was the meat, roasties, cabbage & Yorkshire (a meal in itself!). We then had side dishes containing a wonderful selection of six other vegetables including roast beetroot and why not!! Condiments and more gravy were also bought to the table. A lovely meal, nicely presented and cooked. Feeling rather full we opted for ice cream and choose our flavours from a wide choice. Finally we rounded our lunch off with a good old pot of tea. Altogether very impressed with the standard and value. Finally thank you to all the waitresses who were attentive but not intrusive. It was a round trip of 90 miles but well worth it. Hope to return later in the year.

"So helpful"
gillianebarnes, 15 Septembre 2019

Excellent hotel. Immaculately clean. Some of the best and most helpful staff we have ever encountered. My husband had a fall on our first night and all staff made it possible for us to complete our stay.

"Excellent Business and Golf Hotel"
Enrico P, 30 Août 2019

Free Parking, Wi-Fi, Spa. With inhouse Pub and Restaurant. Best Breakfast I ever had in the UK, cooked to customers preferences. The Restaurant has a good choice, vine list is OK. The staff is excellent, friendly and helpful for all requests. Negative: The Wi-Fi in some areas is weak and there is no elevator for the 2nd floor.

"Below expectations"
nicbel01, 29 Août 2019

As part of our southern uk trip we had an overnight stay at the Centurion hotel, looking for a nice room with a round of golf. Unfortunately the golf was fully booked for the next morning and there was no room overlooking the golf grounds. Instead of looking at the parking lot, the receptionist offered for an additional 10 gbp a room (117) overlooking the terrace. We accepted, but experienced during the night a continuous noise from the utility room below, which was not mentioned. The dinner area seemed boring, so we went to the nearby Redan Inn, very good. Breakfast at the hotel was nice in a sunny area, but when checking out we heard there were drinks put on our room that were not ours. Friendly staff corrected this, but it is recommended to check your bill. So wishing the hotel all the best, it was just not matching our expectations.

"Perfect"
LCT2705, 18 Août 2019

Last minute stay for my fiancé's birthday. It could not have been more perfect. Spotlessly clean room with a beautiful view . Very friendly, helpful staff and the breakfast was the best I've ever eaten in a hotel. I'll be back!!!

"Poor Experience"
stmalcolm, 13 Août 2019

We stayed in this hotel in Early August for a long weekend spa break for £350. The were: - the hot tub was not working (they tried to pretend it was, but it wasn't). Note: If you are going to the spa, please check it is working before booking. - Room 221 is above reception with 2 fire doors one behind the bedhead, one by the room door. Saturday night was very busy with a coach arriving after 1am the beep beep beep of the coach reversing, the noisy guests and cigarette smoking outside our room were all awful. Note: Avoid room 221. - a fraudulent entry was added to the bill, at 2am in the barfor nearly £18. I spotted it and I got my money back, but they had my signature so it was clear I hadn't signed the bill. Note: check your bill carefully. Apart from that the restaurant is very good for dinner and breakfast. Hotels.com agreed it was a poor experience and gave us our money back, thank you hotels.com

"Wedding"
NeilC1460, 30 Juillet 2019

A good wedding was had here. Nice grounds, clean hotel and professional staff. However, it was ridiculously expensive. A beer, a wine and two kids drinks reached £18.00. They certainly know that they've got you there.

"Wedding stay, definitely recommend!"
KiranJohnson, 29 Juillet 2019

All contact I had with hotel staff -over the phone to make the booking, later to inform them of a change of arrival time, and in person to check-in, check-out, book cab at Reception, and in the restaurant for a very swift breakfast - was exceptional! Very nice clean, comfortable room and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

"Wedding"
276lizl, 26 Juillet 2019

The bed was comfortable and shower excellent. Breakfast good too. But we had the misfortune to stay on the hottest day of the year. The building was steaming hot and the fans provided were laughably pathetic. I've never seen a fan so small. Unfortunately this spoiled my stay.

"A haven before an event"
Stuart M, 14 Juillet 2019

Stayed here in February as a prequel for our July stay before a family wedding nearby. We were impressed enough first time to book fourteen rooms for our guests on the later stay. The staff are very friendly and special mention for the events co-ordinator, Bekka for whom nothing posed a problem or caused and issue. We've stayed in the suite and in a deluxe double, both with views over the golf course. The food was good. It has a small but functional gym but the swimming pool isn't available as its not built yet! The grounds and reception rooms are lovely to relax and/or to meet people. We didn't eat in the evening but chose nearby restaurants

"Sunday lunch"
Mike F, 02 Juillet 2019

Staff very friendly but I'm afraid the lunch is a big let down. Poor choice of veg (who has beetroot with their Sunday roast). I had pork which was tough. Roast potatoes were bland and the gravy weak. Left feeling very disappointed and hungry. Never again

"Fantastic mini break"
Sherpa49034191201, 01 Juillet 2019

An excellent choice. All needs catered for with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble. Rooms clean and comfortable. Gardens and outlook wonderful. Friendly fantastic staff who cateted for all our needs. Food choice good. Staff knowledgable and attentive

"Lovely hotel & staff"
569chelseah, 28 Juin 2019

We stayed here for our second wedding anniversary and it was lovely, the staff were exceptional and the room was amazing, it was a deluxe double and more than we expected, the only disappointment was the pool was shut but other than that it was fantastic, definitely recommend getting breakfast here as that was superb

"Great stay"
Ann S, 23 Juin 2019

Went for 3 days as visiting friends. The hotel has a lovely facade despite facing an industrial estate which is screened by large trees The check in was efficient and Karen was friendly and informative A little disappointed with room as we were expecting to over look the golf course not the car park although on saying that the room was comfy clean and had all we needed the beds were comfortable and the towels so luxurious and really good hot water We ate in the restaurant one night with our friends the meal was delicious and the staff attentive and efficient All the staff we came across cleaners reception staff bar staff very professional and friendly The car park was big only downfall was that in the morning and afternoon parents used car park to drop of children at the nearby school causing extra noise and some concern if any damage to our car The whole stay was enjoyable and would definitely stay again as situated within easy access for visits to Wells and Bath

"Would definitely look into other options"
qwerty2721, 16 Juin 2019

We stayed recently for a nearby wedding but if returning to the area would look into Air BnBs or alternative hotels. This one has potential as the location is good and some of the staff are brilliant, but it's a bit of a red flag when the general manager is extremely rude and dismissive when we raised some of our complaints to give them the opportunity to rectify them. The rooms were fine but I resented having to pay an extra £20 for a golf view room which I didn't ask for. Based on the time of booking, there would have been regular rooms available as other guests who booked after us were given the cheaper rooms. We raised this and were told (in a very condescending manner) that the price was clearly in our confirmation email. Yes I know, but it should have been made clear that this was a higher price than a regular room. The cold breakfast buffet was quite good but the cooked breakfast was very poor. We ordered 3 of the items from the list and literally got one of each. One dry piece of bacon, one tiny spoon of scrambled egg, and one hash brown. Really? It looked laughable on the huge plate. The eggs benedict was a bit better, but the coffee was awful. For the price you pay, I'd expect a cafetiere! The TVs not working for the entirety of the first day was unacceptable. We were told it was a simple retune but this was still not done by the time we went to bed. The blonde lady on reception was helpful and professional throughout our stay and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I gather the bride also found Bekka to be very helpful in the lead up to the event, although she wasn't working on that weekend. I might have returned to the hotel in the future as I imagine the TVs would be fine and would know what not to choose for breakfast, but the rudeness and complete lack of customer service from the general manager has put me off entirely.

"Average hotel.....below average management"
Nicole0134, 14 Juin 2019

So first the pros - reception staff and cleaning staff were very good - rooms were spotless. Views of golf course nice - but you pay extra for that. Waiting staff again very pleasant. Cons - general manager was poor. There was an issue with the TVs which was area wide BUT this was mentioned to reception at 3pm by numerous guests. We were led to believe that this could be rectified by the general manager but he was dealing with a wedding. Re-tuning was required, could have been a quick fix on the computer apparently but they were still not working at 9pm. This upset the plans of several of our guests who were at the hotel for a wedding the next day. Real apathy from the general manager who generally had a bit of an attitude problem. Needs more training in customer service for sure! Bar - poked our head round at 7pm, seemed a bit rough to be honest - sticky tables did not enhance our opinion. Food - not the best. Also be aware that if there's a function at the hotel, loud music can be playing til midnight as it was when we stayed. General manager took nearly a week to respond to our comments.

"weekend break to bath"
Y9552UVpetert, 10 Juin 2019

firstly cannot fault staff and cleaning staff all were brilliant could not find any fault with staff,,,,,,,,the hotel is situated next to industrial estate ,rooms are travel lodge standard but at £135 for double room cannot be jusified,,gardens are very nice ,had full English breakfast was awful ,as was evening meal ,the bar area is at best, average most rooms at no tv coverage in bedrooms all weekend I understand this may have been an area problem but the management should have kept guests informed ,,would I return to this hotel?no. to sum up staff faultless,,,,hotel poor

"Centurion Hotel, Midsomer Norton"
DSSLpool, 08 Juin 2019

This was my fourth visit to the hotel. As always, the staff were friendly and welcoming and extremely helpful. The food from the restaurant was excellent. The room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. I would have no hesitation in staying in this hotel again.

"Ok.."
772kirstenl, 02 Juin 2019

Pros: -Nice modern room, shower and facilities -Friendly bar staff -Very friendly and helpful staff at reception desk. The first room we were allocated had a very strong smell of smoke (and aftershave probably used to disguise the smell!), so there must have been guests the night before who disobeyed the no smoking rules. The reception staff kindly and without hesitation allocated us a different room which was much appreciated especially since I am pregnant. Cons: -Room quite stuffy, unclear how to control the temperature. Couldn't keep windows open as there was a loud party on the grounds that went on until midnight on the Saturday night. Could still hear the music until midnight so couldn't sleep until then. Not ideal considering 7 months pregnant and exhausted. -Pool closed -Breakfast menu/ staff not very accommodating for special dietary requirements. My husband eats everything but I am a vegetarian with dairy/ egg allergies and there were no cooked options for me on the menu. When we asked the waitress we were initially told that they could do ‘only the options on the menu'. Managed to get a dry piece of toast with a hash brown and a couple of mushrooms. Not great really for the price and most places are generally more accommodating in this day and age. I would suggest adding a vegan friendly breakfast option to the hot menu with plant based proteins such as beans and veggies like spinach, mushrooms etc. Could also include hash browns/ potatoes or even a vegan friendly sausage option. Also it would be good to have dairy free milks/ spreads etc as part of the cold breakfast buffet.

"Choir tour to Midsomer Norton"
Ruth7447, 20 Mai 2019

54 of us Stayed for four nights on a choir tour, singing in Bristol Cathedral, Wells Cathedral and Midsomer Norton Church. My husband and I stayed at the hotel a year ago to see if it was suitable for our choir, which contains several people who have difficulty walking. Although the hotel does not have a lift, they were able to accommodate everyone with walking difficulties on the ground floor, some with walk in showers. Throughout the 5 days we were there the staff could not have been kinder, especially Bekka, (who we had made our original boooking with). We were allowed to rehearse in the lounge of the hotel, which was great. The dining area was lovely, overlooking the golf course. We had to prebook the meals the night before, which was fine, and the hotel were able to accommodate extra people dining with us on an ad hoc basis. We cannot thank the serving staff and the catering staff enough, as we had several people with eating disorders. Nothing was too much trouble. Especial thanks to the general manager, Mark. On the second day, one of our members had to be taken into Bath Hospital, and again, the hotel staff were wonderful, looking after the patient's wife, and helping out with directions to the hospital etc. Everyone was impressed with the hotel, and several have plans to come back. Thank you to everyone concerned on the staff.

"Lovely parkland setting"
keith and anne s, 03 Mai 2019

Stayed with 26 other people and felt very well looked after. Rooms were spacious and comfortable with a decent price for single occupancy. Staff were cheerful and helpful. The safe in my room did not work but I was able to use the main safe at reception. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits in the room and topped up daily.

"Comfortable stay"
EIIIR, 26 Avril 2019

Excellent: View over golf course, grounds, birds (good range of species spotted on site), Easter Egg delivery on Easter Sunday. Good: breakfast, dinner in restaurant, staff, proximity to Stonehenge and Longleat, room cleanliness. Disappointing: TV remote was SO SO slow, high speed internet didn't reach our room, twin beds pushed together in place of a double, lack of special touches (We stayed for our honeymoon).

"Our wedding"
rosscameronwylie, 26 Avril 2019

My new wife and I would like to thank each and every person that made our wedding day so amazing and special, especially Mark and Bekka. We booked our wedding 18 months ago with the Centurion and it was the best decision we made. The glass slipper package suited all our needs and is excellent value for money. We were invited to meet the different suppliers that are part of the package; florist, transport, photographer, cake maker, the list goes on. We were able to contact Mark and Bekka via email as we don't live very close to the venue. They responded quickly and answered all questions we asked. They went the extra mile, allowing us to have a bouncy castle for the children as well as arranging an Easter egg hunt for them too. (We supplied the eggs, etc) The day went with no problems at all. It ran as smoothly as we had hoped. All of our guests were well catered for, including young children, vegetarians and a gluten free guest too. The whole day was relaxed, we didn't feel rushed or under pressure to keep within any time limits. It was a massive bonus that the sun shone for us that day and our guests enjoyed making use of the gardens. All of the guests complimented the bedrooms saying how clean, tidy they were and how comfortable the beds were. They were all decorated and fitted out to a high standard. My wife and I cannot believe the size of the honeymoon suite (Leona Suite). We had the best nights sleep we've had for a long time. The bathroom is enormous and the amenities were amazing too! Breakfast was amazing too. A great selection of fruit, cereals, toast, juices, hot drinks and cooked breakfast too. The morning staff were really friendly and happy. Our nieces and nephews were well catered for too. Once again, we would both like to thank everyone that worked Easter weekend for making our day special. We look forward to coming back to see you all again soon.

"Weekend break"
Escape49817720707, 26 Avril 2019

Excellent all round value for money, staff, facilities, food and accommodation all superb. Easy to locate with excellent local facilities, ideal place for a total relaxing experience. I will certainly be using this place again.

"Brilliant customer service & staff"
D5822JTpault, 04 Avril 2019

Recently spent 4 days away on business and used this hotel based on ideal location and other recommendations. Could not fault the staff as they are the cheeriest, most welcoming and accommodating hotel staff I've had the pleasure of dealing with. Rooms were spotless and well-appointed with all the usual requirements. Food was also very good & reasonable and I would stay here next time I'm visiting this region. Didn't get opportunity to use the gym or other facilities but maybe next time.

"Would recommend"
Sarah L, 31 Mars 2019

The hotel is well situated to visit Bath or Wells. Reception was efficient and friendly. Our room was clean and contained everything we could need, the hot drinks tray offered an extensive array of choices. The beds were very comfortable and the towels were lush :-) We were given a room with disabled facilities and although we didn't require them they seemed very comprehensive, beautiful and huge shower too. I would stay there again

"Excellent comfortable stay"
Happiness41642387734, 29 Mars 2019

I stayed at this hotel for two nights whilst working away from home on nights I found the hotel and staff to be of an excellent standard and would highly recommend it especially the reception staff who were excellent

"90th birthday celebrations"
stevenssnr, 18 Mars 2019

This was pre booked by the family and was a large gathering of people for a 90th birthday celebration . The area around the venue is stunning as it's a golf course as well the actual restaurant is inside the very sustancial building we had our celebration in the conservatory which was very comfortable and roomy we had three long tables to facilitate our large party When the food came it was very good and hot the staff were attentive the buildings are very tidy and clean the toilets very clean a very good place for your celebrations plenty of parking as well.

"Fantastic"
Marshall2016, 14 Mars 2019

A fantastic hotel on beautiful grounds, with golf course. The room was large, comfortable and clean. Large tv for entertainment, firm comfortable bed with luxurious pillows, lovely large towels everything you needed in the room and bathroom. Staff were welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived. The town is within walking distance with places to eat if you're wanting a change to the hotel. Would definitely stay again

"Reveiw on visit"
Char8536, 01 Mars 2019

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel, room was pefect and staff were friendly. Jays bar lady was lovely unfortunately cannot say the same for the gentleman that took over from her. Slow service and not very professional

"Anniversary/Birthday"
shell9672018, 25 Février 2019

Stayed in the Leona Suite, was very happy. Very clean. Only small gripe was the kettle couldn't be plugged in as there was no socket there we had to place it precariously on the chair. Over looked the gardens and golf club. Didn't get a chance to use amenities that the hotel offers. Looked at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast but found the range limited and pricey. The young man on reception was very chatty and welcoming. Overall very happy with stay and would recommended.

"First class customer service"
Julie W, 23 Février 2019

I had an excellent stay at the Centurian. The young man on reception offered the best customer service I have received in a very long time. Without doubt would stay here again very happily. Highly recommend.

"Overpriced restaurant "
pauline1006, 21 Février 2019

Just back from 3 night stay. Lovely room, comfy bed and pillows. Bathroom had everything you need. Only gripe was the restaurant. First night staff got our orders wrong and we found them over familiar. Gave restaurant another try on the last night. Different staff on much better service. Prices were over the top. £14 for fish and chips!!!!

"Winter wedding - Glass Slipper Package"
Mike R, 02 Février 2019

The choice to have our wedding here in December 2018 was easy, albeit somewhat hastily decided in the September, after attending one of the hotels open evenings promoting the 'Glass Slipper Packages'. Despite only giving ourselves, Mark (the manager) Becca (assistant manager) and their team just three months to get everything sorted, all was dealt with total professionalism and efficiency. The beauty of having everything 'under one roof' so to speak, is brilliant! Not having to individually source the services yourself takes so much hassle away from the couple preparing for their nuptials. With an excellent choice of suppliers already in place, I believe you'd be hard pushed to find better value for money. Each of them offered a unique one to one service, giving excellent suggestions and advice whilst competently adhering to our personal requests. Everybody employed at the hotel is extremely helpful and very polite, a real team spirit is evident in the staff who clearly enjoy working there and whatever role they're deployed to do, a real credit to the management and company. My stay began on the night before the wedding, where check in was simple, welcoming and being personally escorted to my very comfortable room before partaking in a few beverages in the sports bar to settle any pre wedding jitters. An excellent full English breakfast in the morning was served up quickly by the friendly staff. The choice of food to get your day under way is large and caters for all preferences. As the guests started arriving late morning, everyone was warmly greeted, and those who had chosen to stay for the night were dealt with efficiently, before being shown through to the lovely room set up for the ceremony itself. A sumptuous wedding breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, as was the evening disco and celebrations, all under Marks watchful eye to ensure nothing was out of place. The rooms, particularly the bridal suite, are very comfortable, clean, quiet with excellent bathroom facilities and all you need to make sure your stay is just as expected and as it should be. In short, the glass slipper package and the service at the Centurion is nothing short of excellent and highly recommended for those who don't want to or can't spend tens of thousands on a wedding. When an offer like this is available, why would you? Thank you, thank you, thank you a million times to all at the Centurion for making our day go swimmingly, it was fab and so are you!

"Clean & Friendly"
EODUK, 01 Février 2019

Stayed for a total of 6 nights over a 3 week period. The hotel is situated on a golf course with spa. Checking was easy and the staff are very helpful and always have a smile. My room was large, clean and modern with views across the golf course. Bathroom was good with large bath, shower and heated mirror. Bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast is cooked to order using locally sourced produced, again the staff in the dining room are great, very helpful and cheerful. Dinner menu is OK but if you're staying for a long period you may tire of it, but the chef will try and help by cooking something not on the menu. The bar is themed as a sports bar, it's OK and Dan the barman deserves a special mention too. A great stay and I wouldn't hesitate in returning if I'm in the area again.

"Business Meeting & Dinning"
CMRef, 01 Février 2019

Fabulous staff here that are very attentive and extremely helpful and genuinely friendly.Restaurant food served for lunch was from a fairly basic lunch menu however when served was excellent.Overall cleanliness is 'spotless'- Have booked our meeting Room monthly for the whole of this 2019 year

"One night business stop over"
Paul B, 30 Janvier 2019

Big car park, quick check-in, comfortable and spacious room. Good shower and clean bathroom. Really nice staff at Breakfast and a good selection of hot and cold. Freshly cooked eggs and bacon were very good. Check out was efficient and staff again very polite and professional

"reduced rates on Sundays"
craffien, 22 Janvier 2019

Polite, helpful staff.Room good size, clean and very well presented.Hotel amenities normally brilliant but unfortunately not on a Sunday evening with restaurant closed and very limited menu available in ' sports bar' which is not my idea of a pleasant venue. Also Wi-fi was virtually non existant.Decided to give breakfast a miss due to the rather high price.

"Birthday Weekend Trip"
suehX9480SL, 20 Janvier 2019

My partner booked a surprise weekend away at this hotel due to a giant antiques weekend fair being held at nearby Shepton Mallett. The hotel location was quite difficult to find on the outskirts of Midsomer Norton next to a school. The hotel grounds of several acres however were lovely and if it wasn't for the time of year I would have loved to have taken a walk. The hotel decor was of a high standard. There were plenty of areas with lovely sofas and chairs to sit and it was very clean. The breakfast had plenty of fresh fruit, breads, cereals, pastries, jams, yogurts, fresh juices etc to choose from. There were very friendly polite waitress staff who then took orders for coffee, tea and a cooked breakfast of your choice. The food was freshly cooked and was delicious. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

"One Night Stay"
Peter G, 16 Janvier 2019

Stayed Jan 1st for one night. Easy to find. Got a warm welcome from the receptionist who explained the hotel and told us that the restaurant was closed that night but we could eat in the bar, and showed us the menu. We had a lovely room and noted that the towels were very good quality. We were thinking of going out for a meal but I went down to the bar to get a menu to check the food on offer which looked really good. As we'd had a long drive and really didn't fancy going out we decided to eat in the bar. We went down to the bar in the evening and it was just like a kids playground with children running all over the place and using different tables to eat off. (I personally blame the parents for not keeping the children under control.) We selected a table next to a family who we could see were nearly finished and I went up to the bar to order our meals only to be told that they were only doing Pub Classics that night. I was annoyed that no one had told us this particularly the barman who had given me the menu earlier in the day.I went back to my wife with the menu to choose again only for the lady at the next table knocking over a large glass of water as she got up to leave, some of which went down my wifes leg and left me sitting in a pool of water. Needless to say we changed tables. For the meal I had chicken pie and chips and was very good but a bit on the expensive side and not really what I wanted. Breakfast the next day was very good and made up for the disaster of the previous night. It consisted of the usual help yourself to cereals, fruit, toast and pastries and a menu of different cooked breakfasts which you could add to or leave off items. Would I stay again - yes I would now that I know what to expect.

"Paying to sleep in double bed"
ruskaz, 13 Janvier 2019

Lovely hotel. Lovely staff. It was almost deserted when we stayed last 2 nights. Only downside is you have to pay extra to sleep with your husband. Which some might glad about but not me. Come on Best Western why discriminate?

"Excellent hotel, very comfortable. "
ChrisBrown1965, 05 Janvier 2019

Great hotel, great price, stayed for 2 nights and will certainly stay again. Very comfortable, warm room, easy check in. Spacious room, good quality towels. Didn't eat here as I thought £12.50 for breakfast was expensive.

"Impressive "
pottingshead, 04 Janvier 2019

Stayed here for a friends wedding near by, loved the setting, room very clean , beds comfortable, kettle all the drinks you need pluse decaf that I have , cosy warm , bathroom perfect walk in shower, soaps shampoo, lovely towels . Sports bar friendly drinks reasonable .

"Fantastic hotel very friendly"
Nigel C, 04 Janvier 2019

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it excellent value for money and very friendly staff. There were two bars and I could watch the football in one and another for those who wanted a quieter drink. The breakfast was fantastic, i chose egg Benedict and it was perfect. Highly recommend this place .

"Very friendly hotel"
Nadinbros, 13 Décembre 2018

We stayed for three nights in the Leona Suite and it was a very nice experience. The rooms are big, well decorated and very clean. It included bath robes etc. and the bathroom is superb. Worth the price of the room on it's own.

"Excellent hotel in North Somerset"
Kevin A, 12 Décembre 2018

Excellent Hotel in Midsomer Norton near Bath. Excellent staff who looked after us well. Excellent food in the restaurant and bar. Excellent for exploring North Somerset and surrounding areas. The room was up to date and very comfortable.

"Excellent"
Sharon B, 15 Novembre 2018

As a member of the gym and a customer at the restaurant I can honestly say that this really is a fantastic place to eat stay and work out. Top staff . I would definitely recommend this hotel and gym. I can recommend the spa and hot tub, the gym staff are amazing and really friendly, this gym has all abilities attending , everyone is real friendly and helpful.

"NO WIFI"
GlennAndrews, 05 Novembre 2018

Omg probably the worst wifi i have ever had in a hotel does not stream or even give browsing speed.. hot tub is also rubbish if you farted you wpuld get more bubbles. The rooms tho and the staff very nice and choose room 235 its massive .....

"Great stay from start to finish"
Eleanor H, 30 Octobre 2018

Booked the family room for one night, which was faultless - very clean, spacious, 1 double and 1 single bed, modern bathroom with bath and shower over, complimentary toiletries, tea and coffee with herbal teas and hot chocolate too. Individual radiators in the bedrooms meant customised temperature control, and the room was cosy and warm. Friendly, kind and helpful staff, great with the children. We ate in the bar. Good choice from the children's menu, more than just nuggets - kids had chicken curry and rice and spaghetti bolognaise. I had fish pie. All tasted good, were piping hot, followed by lovely desserts, beautifully presented. Breakfast was also excellent - all hot items were individually cooked. I enjoyed the eggs royale with smoked salmon. Lovely view over golf course with frosty grass and mist rising. We had slight problem with the hairdryer cutting out, but I called reception and they replaced it within a minute. Great service.

"Dinner Visit"
JoergAsia, 27 Octobre 2018

Good Food nicely cooked but feels a bit artificial and missing cosyness. We had venison stew which was very nice. Staff was very well trained but also here it does miss the authenticity. Nothing to complain.

"A very comfortable stay"
julie s, 23 Octobre 2018

We were traveling as part of a coach group, always a challenge for any hotel. They coped brilliantly. We had two evening meals which were served hot and were extremely tasty. Breakfast, which was self service was again freshly prepared and eggs were cooked in small batches to ensure they were hot and not overcooked, the bacon was delicious. Staff were helpful and cheerful, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Well done, it shows that this is still a family run hotel.

"Warm welcome"
Elizabeth H, 16 Octobre 2018

We had a warm and friendly welcome from the reception team. They gave us all the information we needed to get started on our stay. The room was comfortable and clean with everything you could think of supplied. The room was quite warm as a very mild evening but there was a fan in the cupboard. WE ate in the Jay bar where there was a good selection of meals and we had a delicious caeser salad. The Hotel is situated on the outskirts of Midsomer Norton so we drove in to the town and parked free to have a wander around. The garden of the Hotel is small but very quiet and looks out on to the golf course. The breakfast was fine with a reasonable choice of cereals fruit etc. The cooked breakfast was good. A very pleasant stay we would come here again.

"Comfortable stay"
Rhys D, 22 Septembre 2018

We stayed here as part of a wedding group and were very happy with the room, quality of service from the staff and the food /drink. The rooms here are very comfortable (having been recently refurbished?) and spacious with good facilities. The staff were really polite and helpful. I was particularly impressed with the reception staff. Food and drink are of good quality, although alcohol is priced a little higher than I expected. Great hotel for the price we payed and would definitely recommend.

"Good location"
Alan J, 22 Septembre 2018

Pretty good hotel but not easy to find at present, even if it is just off the main road. It is located on Charlton Lane but the road signs are obscured by fencing from a building site, one is actually behind a BT box! Best to follow the signs for Westfield Industrial estate and take the entrance off the mini roundabout, the hotel is on the right. The rooms are good as is the breakfast deal. The bar food is limited in range but servings are generous. One downside we found was that the bedding was very heavy and difficult to move.

"Good room - Poor breakfast"
markwilson56, 16 Septembre 2018

Corporate hotel which was fine but the breakfast was not nice (my wife and I only realised afterwards) as the bacon tasted and smelt of fish (kippers?) and the poached eggs were hard. Plenty of staff to help but is it really worth £30 for the two of us???. I would stay here again , but would look for an alternative first.

"Lovely hotel."
Sara C, 12 Septembre 2018

Stayed here Sunday night after the last hotel we booked turned out to be a dump so we left and came here. We turned up at reception and managed to get a room. Lovely clean hotel, very modern, beautiful views over the golf course. The lady that checked us in was very friendly. Shame we didn't book here to begin with. Will definitely use this hotel again when in the area to visit family.

"Clean comfy and welcoming"
Susan C, 10 Septembre 2018

Lovely clean and comfy hotel Staff are brilliant Cant thank the young lady enough who was on duty on 9/9/18 around 5pm When we turned up after walking out of another local hotel. She booked us in without any fuss as quickly as possible She could see i was very stressed. We have stayed her 3 times now. Cant rate it highly enough.

"Good West Country base"
Nickshare, 07 Septembre 2018

We had business in Bristol so decided to to stay in the area for a few days. I often use Best Western Hotels because they offer good value and are so different to other franchise hotels. Each of our experiences, in England, in recent years, have been very good and some of them like this one, excellent. I agree with another reviewer who does not rate Best Western hotels in the States very highly. The U.K. approach is much different. Like others that have posted I would certainly use this hotel again when in the area. There are so many places to visit within a relatively short distance, Glastonbury and Bath being just two of them.

"A great experience"
judyhalladi, 02 Septembre 2018

Brilliantly located with free parking made this a good choice to begin with. On arrival the staff were really helpful and friendly and so it remained throughout our stay. The food was wonderful and the room sizeable, clean and very comfy. Can't wait to stay again when hopefully they'll have their pool built.

"Lovely hotel"
Melly_B_uk, 02 Septembre 2018

We stayed for 2 nights in the Leona suite. Really clean and well maintained hotel and suite done to a very high standard. Loved the small details of robes and slippers and good selection of teas etc in the room. The Leona suite is luxurious and we had a really relaxing stay. Highly recommended for a nice weekend away.

"So clean!!!"
eleanorjkerr, 31 Août 2018

We booked this room very last minute as an airbnb booking fell through a few days before our trip! We weren't expecting much as it was very reasonably priced for such short notice but we were very pleasantly surprised! The rooms were spotless! I am a real clean freak and inspect beds and towels etc. for hairs when I stay in hotels - I think this must be the first hotel I have stayed in where I didn't find one! The facilities in the rooms were good - nice tea and coffee selection. It would have been helpful to have an iron and mini ironing board in the room though. Staff were very helpful, we we going to be arriving back late from a wedding so they took our bags for us and had them ready waiting in our rooms for us when we got back. Overall very impressed with what we got for such a good price!

"Nice hotel - minor issuess"
Vealie, 27 Août 2018

Stayed here August Bank holiday weekend. The hotel was very well kept clean and tidy. Rooms were lovely. A lovely hotel and the Staff were very helpful, but I would suggest that the staff should be allowed to do one job at a time. The hotel has 3 bars, but trying to get a drink was very difficult, two of the bars were closed and The barman at Jays bar (the only one open) whilst being the only one serving had to also serve food and do room service. The hotel also show a pool on their website so we thought great can have a swim - no apparently the pool has been closed since December. I mentioned this at the spa reception- it still shows a pool on their website. They have a dartboard in the bar, but no darts, If they could just get these few issues sorted it would have made the stay perfect. We stayed there with friends so we had a great time and laughed about it but we won't be going back !

"Wedding Venue"
Mike P, 27 Août 2018

Visited for a friend's wedding. This place was fantastic. Very spacious and all the staff very friendly and helpful. The food was really good with no complaints. There was enough rooms and space for food in the evening as well as quiet rooms away form the dedicated room for the evenings disco. Highly recommended.

"Midsomer Norton Best Wetern"
stuartmcinally, 24 Août 2018

Great food, wonderful views, very comfortable athmosphere and some of the best staff you could wish for. A great location for Business or Golf, would highly reccommend to friends and travellers in that location.

"Very comfortable night"
MartinH2816, 22 Août 2018

We had a very comfortable night in a spacious room with a huge and comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent in a bright airy conservatory. We are thinking of going back to the same hotel for a longer stay...

"Family Wedding"
peterclarke90, 16 Août 2018

Great hotel. We had a wonderful time here and stayed 2 nights, the food that was served was very good, and the breakfast in the morning was more than adequate, although we were bothered by a lot of wasps, but then it is the summer. The staff in general are very helpful and polite, and I can fully recommend a stay at this hotel, it is also a great base for exploring the area if you were to stay a little longer.

"Exceeded our expectations!"
Sophie L, 15 Août 2018

We stayed for 2 nights in a family room whilst visiting for a wedding. The room was spacious and clean and comfortable and the staff were all very professional and polite and friendly. I was visiting with a baby with a few allergies and the hotel staff all went out of their way to accommodate us, including getting in special milk and butter. The food, although on the expensive side, was absolutely delicious and worth paying that bit extra for. Overall I was really pleased with how our whole booking and stay was handled. Everyone , without exception, was smiley and personable and made our whole experience of travelling with young children so much easier. Thank you!

"Almost perfect"
Alan N, 13 Août 2018

Stayed for two nights, we chose the Centurion because it was close to the venue for a sporting event. Our room was very good, clean with every thing we needed. One minor point the quilts on the beds were very heavy and much too warm, We used the restaurant for our evening meal, the food was excellent and cooked to perfection. The full english breakfast was again excellent and again cooked to perfection, albeit the breakfast was just a little over priced. We made use of the Bar which had an excellent portfolio of Lager's and cider. Sadly very disappointingly the two real ales were both very poor and undrinkable. I had to ask if my first was actually ale because it tasted like cider. This was changed and replaced by a Doombar which when place on the bar looked like Guinness. We opted for a Pilsner which was excellent. (my advice to the Hotel is to stop offering Real Ale which requires a lot of looking after) The hotel offered a Gym and spa which is of the highest standard I have found in a UK hotel. The service and house keeping was excellent, We would certainly stop here again and can certainly recommend the restaurant, the only negative being the real ale.

"Surprisingly good"

I was extremely anxious about staying here as I guess I have become a bit of a hotel snob. How wrong I was. This is one of the nicest hotel experiences I have had in ages. Family run, the staff are so friendly and the welcome is warm. We had a lovely room, far better than some I have stayed in for three times the price. There for a special family birthday, we had a private dining room and the food & service were really good. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel if you need to stay somewhere in the area.

"Wedding"
Janet R, 06 Août 2018

For the money we paid for our room, the hotel did not have any air conditioning and when it is 30 degrees out, it would be good to have it. The room that the wedding and reception were held in were unbearable due to the heat. The room what also very hot and not worth the £125 per night that we paid. The breakfast was below par as well.

"Good hotel, great food"
Steve J, 29 Juillet 2018

Just had 2 nights at the Centurion hotel, the rooms are great, clean, tidy and well presented. Bed was really comfortable, water bottles also in the room. I only ate in the bar, but on both nights the food was excellent. Breakfast was also of a very god quality, hot breakfast was made to order. The hotel also has a golf course, looks good and well kept. Would stay at this hotel again when in the area good value for money

"Weekend break"
Keith W, 23 Juillet 2018

This hotel gave us everything you would expect from a four star best western plus. Decent Size double room with view over the golf course. Very clean room and and extremely comfortable bed. The food in the restaurant was of very good quality and the service and staff was very friendly and efficient. However no air con in any bedroom and in this summer the room was stifling even with the fan that was provided. At £175 for a double room with breakfast included. I think it was over priced. No major criticism at all but have stayed at better hotels at a cheaper price

"Lovely overall but some minor let downs"
Lorin1990, 10 Juillet 2018

The hotel was really nice, lovely scenery and nice receptionist who was cheerful when greeting us. Unfortunately the experience was let down at breakfast time. The menu and prices were not made clear at all, we in fact found out that we had paid around £14 per person despite only getting full English and making no use of the buffet available as we didn't know whether it was included or not. To add insult to injury, our order was not taken for over 10 mins of being seated and until we called over a waitress. The waitress appeared flustered and took our order without even writing it down, it clearly then appeared she had not remembered any of it. I waited over 10 mins for a coffee and I had to personally find her and ask her about my order to which she appeared to have no knowledge of. Once the food arrived it tasted nice but the overall wait and experience made it unpleasant. Safe to say we did not eat breakfast there the next day.

"Great Food & Service, Good Value for Money."
Derek G, 10 Juillet 2018

We had the occasion to attend a family event for my fathers 90th Birthday, at the Centurion. This was a great celebration attended by family, friends and neighbours alike. The food from the menu tho limited, was exceptionally good. I think the chef likes his portion control. That said the food was tasty and locally sourced. The staff were attentive and gave great service. The manager on duty who wore both a pink shirt and tie, ran around as if his hair was on fire.

"Good enough on balance "
RussellTrip23, 10 Juillet 2018

The room was superb with plenty of space and nice bathroom. However we did struggle without air conditioning during the heatwave of the British summer. Appreciate that is a seasonal issue. The breakfast was also disappointing with our order being forgotten about which led to general confusion amongst the staff. The food on arrival was OK.

"Always a pleasure"
helshug, 07 Juillet 2018

We've just had a short 2 night break at the Centurion. This was our 4th stay at this hotel and it's our hotel of choice when visiting the Bath area. The staff are all so friendly and courteous whilst maintaining their professionalism. The breakfasts are very good with a huge choice available and the restaurant manager, Alex, is very personable. Our room was well appointed with a small but well equipped bathroom. It was very clean and the bed was lovely and comfortable. As we stayed during the heatwave we had all the windows open so we experienced some road noise but this is the first time we have done so and the hotel cannot be blamed for the very hot weather!! We will return to the Centurion next time we're in the area as we just like it there. The receptionist, Courtney, recognised us when we checked in this time, which made us feel even more welcome - Thanks Courtney!

"Great happily stay again."
ChucklesUK2014, 01 Juillet 2018

Not very happy with Best Westerns in the states so was a little reluctant to try them here however glad we did. Very clean well equipped room very good staff everyone we came into contact with were first class. The only gripe was with a company policy of supplying very heavy duvets in a heat wave. A fan was supplied but the duvet was such a high tog rating we had to remove the cover and sleep under that. The hotel/pub we stayed at en-route had the option of using a duvet or a sheet plus a nice Dyson fan and they were cheaper but were still of a very high standard. That said would certainly stay again.

"Enjoyable and good value"
Rizzo999, 20 Juin 2018

Very good, clean and spacious. Nice well appointed room overlooking the golf course. A bit extra but worth it. But not essential. The girls on Reception greeted us with a smile showing an interest in us and our stay. Thanks and Mention for Karen and Courtney. Although the meals and service were good it was disappointing that we were the only 5 dining at 3.30. A bit late but being Fathers Day we expected there to be others in the Dining Room creating a bit of atmosphere. But that was the only time we were offered.

"bed and overpriced breakfast"
Bill N, 19 Juin 2018

Room clean and well appointed Hotel ideally situated for visiting Bath, Wells. On arrival wished to order bar food but could not have it served in lounge. Only available in ''Sports'' bar which we found to be inhabited by rather loud younger customers. We found breakfast to be rather highly priced and decided against ordering.

"An overnight stay in this lovely hotel"
Ruth7447, 16 Juin 2018

One night stay in the Centurion while we travelled around looking at venues for our choir tour next year. Hotel staff were lovely and enthusiastic about the possibility of extending the sports and spa facilities inthe near future. We were shown around by Bekka, showing us where our group would eat and what leisure areas there were. We stayed in a room overlooking the golf course. Spacious room with very comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean. We ate dinner in the conservatory overlooking the golf course. Very light and airy, food was good and portions generous. Breakfast was a buffet of fruit salad, cereals and pastries then we ordered a cooked English breakfast. Again, staff were lovely. A very enjoyable stay, thank you,

"Superb!"
659bob, 14 Juin 2018

Stayed there for one night with my elderly mother. As requested we had all the facilities and easy access to facilitate my mothers needs. Plenty of parking spaces. Breakfast and evening dinner was great. Very friendly staff.

"Lovely lunch and great staff"
lynetteandcocopops, 02 Juin 2018

Recent lunch at the Centurion, an ordinary but beautifully prepared and cooked menu. Peaceful lounge for tea prior with fab views of grounds, mature trees etc and everything spotlessly clean, including the loos - they sparkled! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were all helpful and attentive.

"Great Staff and Excellent Food !"
Nancy S, 28 Mai 2018

I recent;y stayed at the Best Western Centurion and can't say enough great things about the staff! Bekka, Krysta, Louise, Cameron, Courtney, Wendy, Charmane and even Mike the Chef all went above and beyond in their attitudes and great service ! I was with a group of 23 women ad on many occasions we were all eating at the same time so servicing a group that large can be overwhelming . These folks pulled it off like it was a labor of love. The food was excellent. I wish they had elevators for folks like us traveling abroad from other countries and I disliked the towel warmer being situated so close to the toilet in the bathroom that it was easy to get a leg burn if not careful. Otherwise, great marks on all counts !

"Weekend Away "
Russell J, 28 Mai 2018

Good rooms, pleasant staff & lovely garden area. We didn't eat in the hotel, but good looked ok. The bar in the restaurant was very comfortable and nice atmosphere. Jay's bar was just a run of the mill bar with little atmosphere and less spirit selection than the restaurant bar. As a golfer the Fosseway GC looked a nice 9 hole course and at £8 (Mon - Fri) is great value, unfortunately I didn't get chance to play the course though. We fully enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

"Great hotel near Bath"
Betsey97, 23 Mai 2018

Wonderful hotel with kind and caring staff, clean rooms, with a beautiful garden in the back and a lovely view toward a golf course! It offers a quiet and peaceful environment, free parking, and a nice restaurant and bar area. It is about half an hour away by car from the center of Bath.

"Good hotel clean and tidy"
N553LOpeterd, 14 Avril 2018

This is the second time at this hotel. It is clean, tidy and the staff are polite and efficient. Although on the pricey side of things if you are going to use all the inclusive benefits of this hotel it makes the price more reasonable.

"Fantastic Stay"
Moby56250, 27 Mars 2018

We chose this hotel after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. Although we wondered whether we had made a mistake as we approached the entrance to the hotel car park entrance due to the proximity of a small industrial estate on the opposite side of the road, we need not have worried. At reception we were given a very warm welcome and when we got to our room was delighted to find a comfortable, reasonable sized room that was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Our room overlooked the golf course and was exceptionally quiet. We had two excellent evening meals in the restaurant, where the staff were extremely helpful and attentive without being overly fussy. Breakfast was lovely with adequate choice for cooked and continental. Our three night stay was excellent and we cannot fault the hotel or its staff. We will definitely return for another stay as nothing was too much trouble. A big thank you to all the staff for making our stay perfect.

"Quality hotel"
Alistair S, 27 Mars 2018

Had a 2 night stop over at this hotel. We found all the staff very pleasant and helpful. The room was excellent, spacious and well equipped and ultra comfy bed. We ate in both the bar and restaurant and both times the food was very good, well presented and extremely tasty. Breakfasts were just as good with a full range of choices. We will be back to stay here.

"A mid journey break"
Rob N, 25 Mars 2018

We stopped here on the way to Torquay. A very nice hotel with friendly staff. The room was clean and well maintained with the best towels ever at a hotel and the evening meal was very good. Definitely would visit it again.

"Overnight stay"
madavey68, 12 Mars 2018

Great stay, great facilities, decor amazing, we had a deluxe room and could not fault it, meals were really nice, great atmosphere, the staff really made it, very friendly, polite and welcoming. Sadly the pool was closed but this due to improvements being made, will be back once treatment rooms and pool reopened

"Brilliant just brilliant"
GlennAndrews, 03 Mars 2018

nice clean well located hotel top hotel for me great parking great food breakfast was limitless, nothing i could mention to make it and better really. People were polite access was easy. Check in and check out was easy

"Best Western Centurion Bath"
andrewgrainger, 28 Février 2018

Stayed here with work and couldn't fault the hotel. Very impressed with the staff - from check in to restaurant, bar and spa their friendliness and helpfulness couldn't be faulted. Nice modern rooms, good facilities with spa and golf course attached, very good restaurant with locally sourced food. All in all I couldn't fault this hotel and would definitely stay again.

"Very pleasant stay "
beckiedanielle, 17 Février 2018

Very nice hotel, bit out the way but short commute to bath/Bristol etc. Good facilities, used the gym and golf course. Restaurant and breakfast overpriced so we ate out at local restaurants. Only complaint was WIFI was awful, gave up in the end after waiting over 10 mins for a website to load! Overall good value for money.

"Great Hotel"
Theresa D, 12 Février 2018

Friendly and helpful staff, lovely room, excellent food. The hotel was great value for the money, one of the best hotels we have stayed in for a long time. Everything was perfect. The food was locally sourced, fantastic quality and prepared to a very high standard. This hotel has a great gym, sauna and Jacuzzi which is all included in the price. It was so nice to find such a gem, looking forward to our next visit

"Best Western ''PLUS'' ???"
craffien, 04 Février 2018

First impression was of a very well presented hotel. Well decorated and tastefully furnished with clean nicely appointed room.(lighting could be brighter) Unfortunately bar area was not conduisive to quiet drink with friends, mainly occupied by a younger, noisy clientelle. Also the bar food was not of a quality one would expect from a hotel of this supposed standard. The real ''PLUS'' however was the breakfast price. £30 for two full breakfasts. (£20 continental). this seems excessive for a fry up and surely with the prices charged at the hotel should be included. All in all a lovely hotel well presented in nice grounds with the exception of the above points.

"One night stay"
Katy T, 29 Janvier 2018

Stayed here for my husbands birthday. We booked the Leona suite and it was very impressive. However the bath wasn't working. There was no door on the bathroom leading into the bedroom so it was very noisy overnight because every creak of floorboards or door closing in the corridor was echoed around the large bathroom and subsequently the bedroom. We ordered room service which was nice but the two separate meals we ordered first weren't available so we had to settle for something we didn't really want. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere so I'm pleased we only stayed for the one night. Staff seemed nice enough and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. Nice stay but not worth the money upgrading to the suite!

"A terrible experience. Avoid this hotel at all costs."
MaMilbs, 11 Janvier 2018

We booked to spend New Year at this hotel; we chose it because of the pool facilities and the fact they were having a New Year Party. When we arrived at the hotel we discovered that the pool was closed and had been for a month - the hotel claim that they emailed us but our booking had been made by telephone and no email details had been shared. Our room was not made up with the extra bed as booked; to be fair this was put right quickly. The food in the bar was horrible and even hungry teenagers could not make themselves eat it. We arrived at the New Year Party within 10 minutes of it starting to find that there were no seats left in the party room - we were advised we could sit elsewhere in the hotel. We have tried to get a refund for our tickets but the hotel and Best Western chain feel that it was ok for us to buy tickets to a party which didn't have room for all of the guests. There were other problems along the way too but truthfully we were are so disappointed we won't even bother to go into them. The breakfast was great. The staff, with the exception of the general manager, were lovely and a goodwill gesture of £25 was made to us for not having made up the room. The hotel tried to overcharge for the New Year Party but rectified this however they did charge us TWICE for the party we were not able to attend. They have since refunded the money. DO NOT COME HERE FOR NEW YEAR. DO NOT EXPECT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE MANAGER AND IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM DO NOT EXPECT THE BEST WESTERN CHAIN TO SUPPORT YOU.

"Business trip"
Gary M, 07 Janvier 2018

I have stopped at this hotel many times. comfortabletaff have always been friendly, but professional. The room was warm, clean and tidy a very comfortable bed. You can either eat in the restaurant or the bar. The food is very good in either. The breakfasts are very good with a great choice.

"Excellent stay"
Robert Andrew B, 05 Janvier 2018

the hotel staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful, the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice with both buffet and cooked to order. The restaurant food was very good and the service first class. the leisure facilities had a well equipped gym, steam room sauna and jacuzzi. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stop here again.

"Excellent family own business"
Clive W, 26 Décembre 2017

I found this hotel are excellent quality, service and facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff well recommended. Sauna and swimming pool are clean. Golf course also good to enjoy in Dry weather. Restaurant menu need updates more regularly to complete other good local pub and restaurant. Prices is on high side But may be that is what you pay for. Well done centurion hotel. I love it

"Skittles team xmas meal"
Teresa B, 17 Décembre 2017

A booking was made for a large table for the skittles team and their partners 1 team member and his partner couldn't attend due to his sister passing away suddenly earlier that day, the captain of the team explained the situation and asked due to the circumstances would it be possible to refund the money for the two meals sadly he was told that no refund could be given. Being as how much the team spent on food and alcohol I would have thought as a gesture of good will they could have offered something to the grieving couple even if it was a meal at a later date.

"Great hotel "
Ian F, 16 Décembre 2017

Nice warm welcome with really nice staff. Rooms are very clean and well laid out. The food is good and plenty of choice from the bar menu through to the restaurant. Had a nice little golf course attached which I couldn't play but looked good. Really would recommend it

"Business stop over in Somerset"
Tony K, 15 Décembre 2017

Lovely hotel with spacious and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast with lots of choice, well presented and cooked. Not a 'quaint' hotel but absolutely functional. Rooms could have been warmer - why do the staff turn the radiators off?

"Great Stay"
Dawn H, 13 Décembre 2017

We selected this hotel for it's location mainly as we were staying for 4 nights and during our stay wanted to visit Bristol, Cheddar Gorge and Bath. What a great choice. The location was perfect and within fairly short distance from all of these places. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The facilities were also excellent. Did not eat here but always seemed to be plenty of people in the restaurant. Would definitely stay here again and thoroughly recommend it.

"Vist to Bath Xmas Market "
Tim G, 10 Décembre 2017

This hotel satisfies the key things that I'm after in an overnight stay: 1. Very clean and tidy 2. Helpful and polite staff 3. Clean and comfortable rooms 4. Great shower and bath 5. Excellent breakfast It's great value and only a short drive outside of Bath city centre. We had a lovely stay and it's somewhere I would definitely recommend.

"Mature couple taking a well earned pre-Christmas break."
CharlesandJulie2015, 08 Décembre 2017

My wife and I decided to take a short, three night, break at the Best Western Centurion in Midsomer Norton in order to visit Bath's Christmas Market and take in a couple of hikes in the Mendip Hills. We couldn't have asked for a better 3-star hotel. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The hotel's breakfast buffet is virtually perfect, and the staff were most helpful. Bath Christmas Market's worth a visit too.

"Best Western Centurion"
C2060JAandyw, 06 Décembre 2017

excellent Hotel, one of my favourites for staying for business. Very clean spacious rooms, very pleasant staff, good choice of buffet and cooked breakfast. The location was perfect for my business trip, but also in a very nice location.

"Lovely hotel"
laurajennings19, 05 Décembre 2017

Just returned from an overnight stay at this hotel which we used as a base for Bath. Lovely hotel, very clean, fabulous staff and excellent breakfast! During a conversation with the hotel manager I mentioned that me and my husband got married in September and when we arrived at our room there was a complimentary bottle of prosecco on ice waiting for us - a lovely and very thoughtful touch! I would definitely recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to return if we are ever in Bath again.

"Lovely stay!"
Maisie C, 12 Novembre 2017

We have just come back from a lovely weekend away to see the festival of lights at longleat . I visited with my partner, sister and her partner. The rooms where spotless and well decorated, we have a lovely view overlooking the golf course. We ate on the first night, I had the chicken and my partner had the fillet of beef, both looked and tasted amazing, desserts also a hit! It was a pleasure to stay here and I'm sure it won't be the last time.

"Nice autumn break"
Robin L, 11 Novembre 2017

Great hotel for a shopping trip to Bath and local sight seeing. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, room was warm, clean and well equipped. Large TV, nice facilities to make tea and coffee. The bar is really an annex to the spa where there is a gym, pool and so on. The restaurant offered seating both inside and in a large conservatory. Menu was not extensive, but the food was good. Handy and safe parking. Park and ride to Bath not far away.

"Excellent Spa and updated rooms"
johnshears, 07 Novembre 2017

Very convenient for the Bath park and ride at Odd Down. Good local Fish and chip shop within walking distance and very good Italian restaurant in Radstock(10 minute drive away). Rooms spacious and well appointed if a little dark but several large lounges

"Excellent in every way"
alienaylings, 05 Novembre 2017

I telephoned to book and requested a room we had twenty five years ago and wanted a bit of nostalgia. The receptionist was very helpful. The room was lovely, comfy bed and two lounge chairs. We've stayed at hotels where they provide only one lounge chair and I am puzzled to think only one person can sit in an armchair. This hotel has it right. The room and bathroom were totally immaculate and the room was large in comparison to other hotels with cosy furnishings, looked as though it was recently refurbished. The lounge was beautifully furnished. The breakfast was the best selection of fresh food I've seen in a long time. Fresh, bakers, Real bread and lots of cooked choices, pastries, fruit, fish, cheese, charcuterie, traditional English and the selection and quality of the ingredients and cooking was superb. Staff very helpful and friendly. I couldn't fault it. The swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room were a bonus. The changing rooms are fairly basic but that didn't bother me.You need a pound coin for the locker, I had undressed before I discovered this. There was a good information book in the room. It told you about the lockers but not about the coin needed. We loved our stay here and would happily return. We stayed over to get to a funeral early the next day and the hotel was a good antidote to our stress. Great place.

"Nothing but positivity for this hotel"
Rachel N, 30 Octobre 2017

All of the Best Westerns are pretty similar so you know what you are getting, but the staff here as exceptional.. reception staff could not do enough for us. They are an asset to the hotel. Rooms were lovely; breakfast was fab... although no baked beans with a full English breakfast... apparently they make the plate look messy!! Please reconsider this decision! ?? A great hotel at a great price with breakfast included. Would go again.

"Wedding weekend"
highflyer2016, 26 Octobre 2017

Spent two nights for friends wedding. Disappointed unable to get evening meal from bar on arrival due to sickness! Only able to obtain crisp and chocolate from vending machine or wait until 6.00pm couldn't even get a sandwich not the service you would expect in a hotel. Breakfast ok but wedding meal lovely. Staff pleasant but sadly wouldn't return. Hotel set in lovely grounds but very dated decor could be more bright and cheerful especially if holding weddings.

"Nice hotel"
Cloudr, 24 Octobre 2017

Only spent one night. Staff excellent. Good free spa. easy access from the road and easy to find. Lots of parking. Rooms very comfortable. Only minus was the bar had closed early, even for a pub, when we got back in. Breakfast was really good.

"Charming Hotel and Staff"
network21, 09 Octobre 2017

Stayed overnight here prior to visit to Longleat and was very pleasantly surprised. Wasn't expecting much really but it was really tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and looked like it had just been re-furbed although this may not be the case. All staff were bright, cheerful, friendly and helpful from the receptionist to the bar man to the chef (who cooked something off menu to accommodate a fussy teenager!). Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable - not even a tiny spot of mould in the bathroom! Wifi good and free in room and common areas. We ate from the bar menu which was perfectly adequate and food of a good bar meal standard and breakfast was excellent - continental and/or full English (although the regular full English isn't that substantial, however, the menu makes clear one of each item and if you'd like more just ask when you order). We didn't go outside but the grounds looked inviting and extensive. Great little place.

"What a shame"
Lee M, 04 Octobre 2017

Booked two rooms here for a Saturday . Had I known it was a wedding venue I might have avoided it. My daughter was placed in the room over the disco. No one wants to ruin a families wedding celebration by asking for the music to be turned down but some of us had early starts ! We politely asked if she could be moved to be told the hotel was fully booked. In the morning the receptionist was left to look sheepish. To be blunt its greed that someone books out a room knowing the noise is going to be present. It is not indicative of a caring hotel that its guests get a good nights kip. I doubt the owners would have slept in it. To be blunt if I had been able to find another local venue fast enough I would have left and my daughter sleeps through most noise - disgraceful.

"Great service from Courtney"
Daniel W, 20 Septembre 2017

We arrived after a very long drive last Friday and were greeted by one of the most helpful hotel staff we've ever come across - thank you Courtney for being so welcoming, sorting out some food for us and helping us relax after a long journey! (The hotel itself is really nice - great pool - although the wifi didn't quite reach our room)

"Lovely room, staff and facilities"
Jessica K, 19 Septembre 2017

We spent one night here and made full use of the gym, pool and sauna/jacuzzi facilities. We did not try the restaurant but had a pizza delivered, no problems! It is about 20 mins from Bath, which was good but definitely not a route you could cycle! The staff were helpful, as they saw us rushing back from swimming at 10am to check out and extended our time to 12pm and brought us up fresh towels, which relieved our stress and helped a lot! They also were friendly and didn't mind us (a young couple) being confused about a couple of things and were helpful (where is the kettle?!). We wish we could have stayed another night, as we loved it here - very comfortable and great value!

"Short stay, very comfy and great food! "
skphillipsss, 15 Septembre 2017

Only stayed here for one night whilst on a cycling journey. Very welcoming staff who were always helpful. Comfy rooms, clean bathroom, great facilities open late. We ordered room service, food was quick and delicious! Thank you for having us.

"Tremendous value for money"
Annalogg, 14 Septembre 2017

Just spent 2 nights at the Centurion and my wife and I were both agreed that it offers great value and is well situated for visiting Bath (P&R 15 minutes drive away). The staff were universally pleasant and cheerful, the place seemed to be professionally run and the afternoon receptionist could not have been more helpful. Room allocated was not vast (think Premier Inn) but nicely furnished and with all the essentials - smart and modern. Even though we were told the hotel was fully booked it didn't seem crowded and there was very little noise. Excellent breakfast in a roomy and light restaurant with great choice of hot dishes - the only criticism was having to share it with Chris Evans - personally I am more than capable of eating without musical accompaniment of someone else's choosing.

"A couple of niggles"
Dolly2579, 13 Septembre 2017

After a long journey to this hotel all we wanted was a cuppa and cake or similar after checking in. However we were directed to the "sports bar"? where the seating was not comfortable and the cushions were all odd, tired and "manky". We were only offered a packet of crisps with our drink! For a hotel of this standard we felt the lounge area was more appropriate and should have had at least a small selection of cakes, biscuits etc. There was the Vintage Car Club staying which were mostly Rolls Royces in the car park so it was surely in their interest to cater for them too. We found the evening meal expensive too. On a positive note our room was clean and comfortable with a garden view. There were 2 garden tables near our window where people enjoyed afternoon tea on the Monday we stayed and they werent cleared until the Wednesday when we left! Not a good sign. These 2 feedback comments should definitely be looked into to enhance visitors stay. We enjoyed most of our stay especially the added bonus of the 17 Rolls Royces to view.

"Glass Slipper Wedding Package"
Fatima H, 11 Septembre 2017

The greatest decision my husband and I made for our UK wedding was selecting the Glass Slipper Package (August 20th, 2017)! We live in the United States and stumbled upon the package online. From the moment I made contact via email/telephone, Mark was absolutely amazing! He made me feel at ease about the entire booking, and ensured I was comfortable with all aspects by sending additional photos/videos of the venue so I could make an informed decision. I was also helped by Lauren at the Centurion to aid with any queries, and she was always up to date on whatever Mark and I were discussing. All of the vendors were just as great! Each vendor went above and beyond, especially Sweet Pea Floral, Nigel Coles Photography, Louise Bespoke Bakes, & Gary with Sound City2. On the day before the wedding, the hotel even allowed us to have my husband's birthday dinner in their restaurant and made us feel as if we were priority, even though they had another wedding going on. The food: absolutely first class; still getting compliments; wifi had some glitches after midnight, the beds were pretty comfortable, hotel was clean, breakfast was really good in the breakfast area (ordered; did not try buffet). The staff at the hotel was the icing on the cake....both my husband's tux and my dress were really crinkled up during transport, and Kamila was to the rescue! Kamila and Lauren continually checked on us to ensure everything was going to plan and they simply could not do anything more to ensure a perfect day. Mark as host for the evening truly kept things rolling and took the stress out of our hands so we could simply enjoy; he really paid attention to the details. The honeymoon suite is absolutely gorgeous! I would highly recommend this package and hotel. We got everything that we wanted for a very reasonable price. This allowed us to splurge on the extras which gave us the wedding we wanted (bigger cake, extra guests, photo booth, centerpieces, extra flowers). Matthew and I cannot thank your team and vendors enough for absolutely everything. I truly hope to visit your hotel again xxx

"Pleasant stay in pleasant surrounding"
PeterG44310, 11 Septembre 2017

Booked a deluxe room which was very large as was the bed, however the bathroom was relative small although fitted with an excellent shower. Evening meal in the restaurant was of good quality although the breakfasts were below par. The fruit salad was not very interesting needing more of a variety of fruit. There is no lift to the first floor which would be a disadvantage for the less able. Very ample car parking.

"Good considering the price I paid "
Carol-Anne N, 09 Septembre 2017

I stayed here for two nights over the bank holiday weekend as was visiting Bath and it was a fraction of the price of the hotels in the centre and only a 20 minute drive away. The room was nice and clean but the beds were so uncomfortable....couldn't quite believe what horrible cheap beds/mattresses they were as the rest of the furniture was really nice. Also the room was boiling hot and even opening the window didn't help so didn't get a good nights sleep either night. Also the hotel has a pool but didn't realise it's a small health club joined to the hotel which meant it was really busy and the pool was very small and didn't look pleasant. For the money I paid I wasn't too bothered with my stay but wouldn't rush back!

"Bad breakfast nice room"

The hotel is nice and convenient for Bath if you are travelling by car. However, the swimming pool is not pleasant. Water was a bit cold and ugly surrounding. The breakfast included in the room is really average. Does not have any cheese or meat and the croissant was not good. We asked for scrambled eggs which took forever and was not very well made. The coffee was very watery as well. Overall does not worth the rate.

"Summer break"
Florence2005Kent, 26 Août 2017

Booked for quiet break! 2 nights of loud music from wedding discos and noisy guests. Not impressed! I won't be going back. So always check the functions they have on when you stay or take earplugs. Room good and staff very friendly and helpful.

"Lovely one night stay"
Rebecca C, 26 Août 2017

Stayed here after a visit to Longleat Safari Park. We had a lovely stay here. The lady that welcomed us on the reception was very polite and helpful, making us aware of dinner/breakfast times etc The rooms were basic but very clean and tidy with a beautiful view outside of the golf course. There were a few issues with the tv as it hadn't been retuned and the remote was abit sensitive. We also had a picture hanging on the wall which wasn't very well hung so kept falling off. But other than that it was perfect. We booked a reservation for the restaurant on site. The food was really nice (though quite pricey and not much to choose from) We then enjoyed sometime in the pool & spa facilities. The pool is open until 10 pm and spa I believe was 9 pm, a nice little perk if you've got the time. There is also a small co op around the corner and other shops/pubs a little bit further away if the food at the restaurant isn't to your liking. I'd say this hotel is predominantly more for business use or for functions. But for one night stay it was well worth it. Thank you

"Comfortable bed for the night "
Caroline F, 22 Août 2017

We chose this hotel being almost equidistant between Longleat and Cheddar after buying their joint ticket online. The hotel was comfortable and had everything we needed for our one night stay and there was plenty of parking available. We went out for dinner and there are a number of options within a 5/10minute drive. We would stay again if we were in the area so would recommend.

"Great location, great service, great value."
crob9, 21 Août 2017

We chose this hotel for it's central location when visiting the area for a weekend with old friends from college days. It was excellent in every way. the staff were all helpful and (most notable0 cheerful, something often missing in service industries these days. The hotel is an attractive building next to a golf course. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfasts were first rate. I have paid much more to stay in hotels that didn't come up to this standard.

"5 star staff"
mobwort, 21 Août 2017

Hade an excellent few days here while attending the new wine conference nearby during the last week in July. The only down side I would say is the layout of the bar area etc which lacks a certain charm. But that is the only negative thing to say. Although this is what I would consider to be a 4 star hotel there were some exceptional aspects. The staff are absolutely 5 star. The lady (who's name I forget regrettably - but she seemed to be in charge of the breakfasts) was just superb. Perfect manner etc and perfectly helpful, as were the other waitresses too. The front desk ladies (we didn't see any men) were again just brilliant. Nothing was too much for them. I witnessed one of them dealing with a difficult (and clearly in the wrong) customer with firmness but absolute politeness. This hotel has adopted a service with a smile attitude which is about the best I have come across. Once again, the lady who was serving our breakfasts and those on the front desk were top notch. Their manner was 5 star! The room was very nice and spotlessly clean, and the breakfasts were exemplary.

"Excellent facilities with helpful staff."
deb0rah54, 18 Août 2017

Stayed here for three nights whilst exploring the local area.Rooms clean and well appointed. Stunning views over the golf course. The restaurant serves a high quality selection of food and the staff are charming.

"Expensive for what is on offer"
rubyme, 09 Août 2017

Firstly ,the staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. The gardens are very nice and well kept.Rooms well decorated and clean. The resteraunt was fine,, reasonably priced. There is a golf course and a gym, sauna and pool. The pool changing rooms were just ok and then you have to come out of them again to go to pool entrance. This area and the stairs could do with refurbishements. The pool is nice but the atmosphere a bit dreary and it is used for swimming lessons too.I did not see any access to the pool for disabled. There is one nice sitting room and a dreary looking other area near the bar. The place feels very corporate with boardroom etc. For me the main problem was with the noise from the function room, used for weddings etc.If you want to sleep before midnight ,take ear plugs. We did not hear corridor noise. My fault..did not check if it had a lift ,it didn't do some difficulty with stairs and unfortunately no ground floor available.Staff kindly helped with luggage etc.

"Great hotel with fantastic staff"
annerX8762FO, 07 Août 2017

We spent three nights at this hotel and were most impressed from the moment we arrived and were warmly greeted by the very helpful receptionist who treated us more like friends and for whom nothing was too much trouble. It is so rare to get decent customer service these days and so it was a very refreshing change that the staff were uniformly pleasant, friendly and efficient, whatever their role. Our room had a lovely view over the golf course, was for the most part very quiet and was very clean and comfortable, particularly the beds. Breakfast was excellent and so was the one evening meal we had in the restaurant which we chose in preference to the bar which was not as pleasant. The only slight problem we had was the music from an 18th Party on one evening but it was in a separate building and once we had closed the window, we were soon asleep. Certainly, one of the best hotels we have ever used.

"Dreadful place"
alastair w, 02 Août 2017

Walls paper thin and so much noise in the corridor Room not ready when we arrived No bathroom locks Drunks all over the building They rip you off on the breakfast Would not recommend it bette hotels in the area

"Great business or leisure base"
Bertie500, 26 Juillet 2017

Good hotel, great facilities, gym, pool , Golf etc. Rooms are well decorated and offer a high standard of facilities and nice bathrooms. Restaurant is excellent, the menu and quality is above expectations for this class of hotel. Staff are always friendly and accommodating.

"Great staff"
Jeff1903, 24 Juillet 2017

A pleasant hotel with spacious rooms which were clean and comfortable, with very pleasant and helpful staff. The rooms have free wifi and tea and coffee trays. It is a long and low building, which means not many stairs, but it can be a long walk to the restaurant and bar. We were there for a Sunday evening and the restaurant was closed, but food was available in the bar. It was pub grub type stuff, fish and chips, pies, grills etc, and while the quality was OK, it was pretty expensive. I guess that a large proportion of guests are business so it is less of an issue for them. There was also the welcome sight of a hand pump serving cask ale, Doom Bar, again not bad but a bit pricey. The bar seems to double up as the club house for the golf and when we were there, a couple of the golfers (identifiable by team shirts) had set out their stall at the bar with money, keys, phones, cigarettes, lighters and such like spread out along it, which, coupled with the golfers themselves made it difficult to get served. They were also quite loud in expressing the kind of opinions that I guess are common in golf clubs up and down the land, but liberally punctuated with adjectives that I hope are not. Overall we had a great stay, but may look to eat and drink elsewhere if we return.

"Good hotel as a base"
carolcP2621XY, 23 Juillet 2017

Excellent hotel and location to use as base rooms comfortable lovely restaurant more choice on menu would be an improvement staff very friendly and helpful beautiful gardens. Can't comment on swimming pool and sauna as we did not use them

"A very nice stay at this hotel"
paul b, 18 Juillet 2017

had a really nice stay at this hotel clean and tidy room very friendly staff all round very nice breakfast well presented and served by very friendly staff. the pool and other gym facilities are a bit of a miss mash but i understand that new pool etc will be added soon nice if its true also in our room in the bath you need a grab rail and a slip mat for the bath otherwise could not fault the hotel and a very reasonable price.

"Should be an excellent review but very good as it stands!"
21stCPragmatist, 18 Juillet 2017

What a very pleasant place to stay for the final night of our holiday. The Reception staff were extremely pleasant and helpful both on arrival and throughout our stay. Our rooms with views of the Golf course large, clean, cool, also beds very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were also of a very good standard and again staff well trained and hospitable. The however, comes in the accessibility issues for elderly guests. Whilst there are access ramps to the public areas; bar, restaurant and pool fitness club, the lack of hand rails was an issue for members of the group who relied on walking sticks. The restaurant also requires diners to walk up and down a flight of carpeted stairs (8 steps) without access rails - hence we took breakfast in the bar area. Ironically there is a hand rail to the fitness area and swimming pool so easily sorted! I did feed this back to reception staff who were pleased to receive the comment so please this comes more as a warning to future guests with family members who are mobile albeit with the aid of walking sticks and face the real risk of trips and falls.

"Good location , good hotel"
jacknott n, 15 Juillet 2017

We only stayed a few nights so we didn't have time to try out all the facilities offered here. Golf course looked like it might be good and there was a gym and spa. The room was really good. decent bed and quiet. the only complaint could be no air conditioning on a really hot night. Staff were polite , but we didn't need much so it as difficult to rate them for helpfulness. This is a great location for trips to Bath and the price seemed average on a per night basis. Plenty of free parking , which after the extortionate cost of parking in London was very welcome. Breakfast seemed a little overpriced , so we ate somewhere else. Other than that , I would recommend this place to anyone traveling in the area as a great place to stay and explore from.

"Lovely hotel"
Barbara L, 09 Juillet 2017

Had an overnight stay here with family on our way to Longleat Safari Park - grandparents, parents and a four year old. We all found the hotel delightful. Lovely comfortable spacious rooms overlooking the golf course, helpful, friendly staff in a very peaceful and attractive setting. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on a Sunday evening, but a member of staff rang and forewarned us so instead we all had an enjoyable bar meal sat in the garden . There is a pool which the family, especially the grandchild loved. We found the hotel to be spotlessly clean and liked the very fluffy towels and the fact there is a fan in the rooms - very useful as it was a very warm evening. I gave the hotel 4 rather than 5 stars as a small fridge in theroom would have been perfect and the pool area could be easily smartened up - rather tired looking. Otherwise super hotel and would definitely stay again.

"Cheap "

"Hotel at Midsomer Norton in Somerset England from June 21st.to 27th.2017 to visit Wells and the suo visit Wells and the"
shawtwo, 28 Juin 2017

All round a really good hotel with a high quality of food in the restaurant. All the staff were very pleasant and the standard of cleaning and maintenance of the room was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our stay and all our friends who came either to stay with us at the hotel also seemed to be impressed.

"Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds."
Gill C, 25 Juin 2017

Our rooms was very clean but slightly on the small side. Nice toiletries in the bathroom. Brand new kettle and clean mugs on hospitality tray. Breakfast was excellent. My husband is a coeliac and this is the only hotel we have stayed in that offered individually sealed gluten free cereal for breakfast. They were also very accommodating with the gluten free options for room service. The gardens and gounds are well kept and beautiful. Would stay again.

"Family get together "
Claire S, 19 Juin 2017

This hotel was a base for our family from North and South to get together. With a mix of ages and dietary requirements, the staff were very friendly and helpful to us all. The food choice was a varied menu with something for everyone. Will definitely recommend.

"Poor food selection"
Carole338, 12 Juin 2017

The staff were brilliant but the food and the choice of evening meal was poor. Also not happy with a 10% charge being added to the bill. We ate in the bar as the restaurant was not open on the Sunday - tables were left with used dishes and it was a bit of a shambles.

"Wedding accommodation "
Da H, 04 Juin 2017

The staff at this hotel cannot be nicer, they are friendly, caring and go out of their way to help. Nothing was too much trouble. So welcoming. Lovely facilities, clean, great decor, atmosphere great, food fabulous, family friendly... cannot praise them enough. Definitely going back. Rooms also spacious and tastefully decorated. Thank you to all the staff.

"Great staff, booking.com let us down "
Natasha M, 30 Mai 2017

We booked this hotel as a chance to get away and relax a bit. The facilities are good, gym is top of the range and the manager was happy to give me a tour and talk through the equipment. The spa is small but met our needs (especially as it's no children) and the jacuzzi is great. Only down side was the food which wasn't as good. Rooms are basic but you get everything you pay for. I have never been somewhere where all the staff were so nice - we had a couple of issues with our booking and everyone was so helpful. I could not praise the staff here enough.

"Beautiful"
Sharon H, 21 Mai 2017

Rooms are lovely and comfortable and the hotel is in the grounds of a golf club. Really peaceful. Restaurant is excellent and the choice and quality of breakfast was fabulous. There is a pool and spa facilities there. The staff are pleasant and friendly. Everywhere is immaculately clean. Not far from the park and ride into bath

"West Country"
globetrotter08uk_8, 19 Mai 2017

Good location for visiting the main tourist attractions in Somerset but beware that the road network is very slow to transit allow extra time when planning visits average speeds about 28 mph road closures in force around time of glastonbury festival could be problematic

"Disappointing"
adrianrfpawsey, 18 Mai 2017

Pulling in to this hotel I was actually looking forward to my stay but sadly all I got was disappointment. They could only offer me a single bed which is a nightmare for me but no help was given from reception, the attitude that came across was "tough". I sat in the bar with a colleague and asked for a pint of draught bitter, well known brand and one I happen to like. I asked if the young lady behind the bar could use the sprinkler tap as I like a head on my beer, I might as well have asked her for a shore hardness Durometer as she didn't have a clue what I was on about. So, one flat pint later I asked her for a menu, she pointed at the side where they lay and walked back to the bar. Nice! In the restaurant the food was pretentious but didn't quite reach the heights promised, it was an inverted snob of a dinner if you understand my meaning. Breakfast food was fine but I was sat in a corner and ignored by the staff, clearing empty tables and having a gossip was more important than serving customers.

"Not the greatest"
Colbow, 15 Mai 2017

Stopping over on a 2 day business trip, uncomfortable beds, taking food away when not finished, and had to prove breakfast was included, night sleep broken due to first bedroom passed reception, and this after only one night I certainly will not be stopping here again in the future and falls short on what I expect from a Best Western

"Hidden star of a hotel"
User, 14 Mai 2017

My cousin and I stayed for two nights in one of their garden view twin rooms. The room was slightly tired but it was lovely and clean, with fantastic view of golf course. Customer service recieved from all staff was great and everyone was very friendly. The breakfast is one of the best I have had. Overall a hidden star of a hotel.

"An unexpected gem... wonderful staff & facilities"
Paul S, 10 Mai 2017

I absolutely adore this hotel. The staff are incredible and make this place so much better! Breakfast is cooked to order and delicious. Kitchen & bar staff are incredible and very helpful (am trying to avoid all the naughty food) and cook meals off menu. Rooms fantastic... Great gym and pool. It may not be technically 5* but the staff and for all the reasons above, I can't recommend it highly enough. From a frequent traveller Paul

"Great hotel"
LisaEdm, 07 Mai 2017

Very warm greeting, helpful and considerate staff. Delicious and tender steak. Very generous and comfortable room to accommodate three of us - a queen bed for my husband and me and a single bed for my mother. Bargain price also included breakfast. Love Best Western.

"Our stay enhanced by really wonderful staff"
Penny B, 29 Avril 2017

On arrival the receptionist on duty, Courtney, was the friendliest and most welcoming person, which gave our weekend stay a great start. Our room was very comfortable with all the usual complimentary items available. The only small criticism is that the lights are too dim to be able to read easily at night! The staff at the restaurant were again extremely friendly with Louise going out of her way to help us at lunch time. There is a good choice of continental and/or cooked breakfasts and the lunch menu was also comprehensive and our choices were very tasty. We would definitely return.

"Charges and Food Errors"
abibway, 20 Avril 2017

The food was reasonable, however I was charged for a full pint when I have a larger shandy. I also enquired as to the contents of the plowmans (due to being veggie), was informed that it was cheese and bread and received a meal with ham and pate. The menu does also not state whether dishes are veggie,

"Perfect"
ctrchick, 12 Avril 2017

Stayed in a twin room with a friend, comfortable and suited needs. There were 12 of us in total. The team were helpful and we made use of the lounge area. Would recommend and return. Car parking fine, rooms good and the restaurant was lovely also.

"Disappointed"
Arianade, 12 Avril 2017

The original has been extended and extended, so a bit rabbit warren ish. Room OK but two easy chairs very modern, so much lower than usual and only one arm - so difficult to get out of, and not possible to use table while sitting. No grab rails in shower, had to request non-slip mat. Meals OK until Sunday - Sunday lunches served all day, so dining room closed for soup and roll lunch - had to eat in very scruffy health club bar. Evening dinner absolutely dreadful. Only roast available, and everything had obviously been kept hot or re-heated from lunchtime. Yorkshire pud tough on outside, cold inside, veg soggy and shrivelled up. Potatoes like rocks. Beef really tough. We were with a party of about 25, and we heard complaints all round. Only comment from manager - it was all cooked this afternoon! Won't go there again.

"Lovely wedding reception venue"
jonathan_knight, 11 Avril 2017

Our daughter held her wedding reception here on 25/03/17 ,where many guests also booked rooms overnight. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are wonderful. The reception was perfect from start to finish, from room decoration, food quality, service to the speed of converting the room to an evening disco . Mark was absolutely brilliant as the Master of Ceremonies, and also overseeing the whole event with a very professional team of polite and friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the spa facilities were also very relaxing.Highly recommended!

"Family 40th Birthday"
Clayton N, 18 Mars 2017

Menu was non descriptive, portions very small. My wife had line caught pollock with clam and chorizo. She had a total of 4 clams but a dozen clam shells on the plate. Slow service, got a lot of meals wrong even though we pre-ordered. There was the Macarena blasting through the walls from the wedding next door. Very disappointing. Very expensive for what we got

"Very high standard"
Vintagehippy, 15 Mars 2017

I stayed here with my fiancé as part of our tour of historic sites last year (June 2016) and I have been meaning to leave a review! The hotel is situated outside of Bath and is set in beautiful grounds. There is ample parking and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is easy to find your way to Bath from here by car as we did and you can take in everything from there. We ordered room service and I have to say the food is amazing, I had a homemade soup that was served with a poached egg while my fiancé had a homemade lamb burger. The room was spotlessly clean and of a superb standard; we had booked one of the suites. It is set up to be a romantic little apartment really with a showcase bathroom. The bath has uplights around it in the centre of the room that can be viewed from the bed through an open plan doorway, and you are presented with his and hers sinks and bathrobes. The shower is huge has lots of features and this truly is a stunning bathroom. There is no door from the bathroom to the bedroom at all nor a curtain and whilst at first you think this is romantic it then occurs to you that the toilet is in the corner, with a spotlight on it and there is NO TOILET DOOR. So depending on your character you could get to know your sweetheart a little too much on a romantic get away!!! I didn't like that one bit and neither did my fiancé! Fancy laying in bed and your companion having no privacy on the loo!!! If you book this room and nature calls take it from me there are very good facilities downstairs in the entrance and near the restaurant. Life essentials for me are toilet doors - air fresheners and toilet brushes as standard... there we none in this room! We took it as an amusing point to laugh about however, but I can't imagine it would feel great if it's your first retreat with your partner!!! (I hope you see what I am getting at here). We were up not much past midnight and were not making much noise but got the wall banged to us; which is disappointing if I am honest because the suites are set up as a romantic couples retreat with a hugely romantic bathroom (excluding the showcase toilet lol) so I was a bit put off by the thin walls. Lets face it folks a romantic get away in lovely surroundings but make sure you're as quiet as a mouse else you might get the miserable neighbours tell you to keep quiet! Its an interesting stay yes for sure; but I just didn't feel comfortable about the toilet situation, I need to point out that there were no doors missing, the design is an open plan bathroom and an open door way to the bedroom. I guess its down to personal preference but I prefer privacy on the toilet - not everything should be shared with your partner.....

"Amazing!"
natasha w, 27 Novembre 2016

Booked this gorgeous hotel as a romantic getaway and to see baths xmas market.. first time staying here and the staff was amazing ..so friendly and so helpful. I wanted the lady at desk to put a chocolate heart on my bottle of prosecco in my room and she gladly done it befor my boyfriend saw it.. the room was so clean and tidy . Amazing view of the golf course.. we had the last twin room left and everything in it we needed. Later we went to jays bar and had food . Natchos to start with was real tasty. Then burger and fris and I gotta say the burger was absolutely stunning. Fattest burger I've ever seen. So tasty and big portions.drinks are good prices to and watched the rugby on big screens .in the morning we wanted to go into the pool abd soa. Realised my boyfriend forgot his swimming shorts. So we rang the reception and asked if they sold them. She said no.. but rang bk 2 mins later and said they had spares in cupboard and what size was he.so helpful and we laughed at the shortness of them. But so glad we cud test the pool out. Pool was fair size nice n clean then the hot tub jacuzzi and steam room and sauna was Amazing. Loved it all. definitely coming back here to this amazing great priced hotel xxx

"Pleasantly Surprised"
polleyanna76, 17 Novembre 2016

Stayed here for one night mid-week for an unexpected last minute trip, due to the very reasonable price and slightly dated appearance we weren't expecting much but it is a really nice hotel, rather quirky but excellent food in the restaurant and good friendly service from all of the staff. We had the only suite which looks to have been recently refurbished very nicely and has a fantastic bathroom with a large freestanding bath. Worth mentioning though, as someone else has, it is a very large open plan bathroom so the toilet is open with no privacy door or panel so if you are shy or a 'new' couple you might be better with a regular room! Gym, pool and spa facilities good aswell. We stay in hotels alot and were genuinely pleasantly surprised, would definitely come back, great value!

"Lovely stay"
elj16, 15 Novembre 2016

Lovely hotel with facilities with a very welcoming, friendly receptionist (Karen) & also Mike in the gym! Rooms nicely decorated with comfy beds. Salmon & scrambled eggs at breakfast were great but slightly disappointed beans weren't part of cooked breakfast. The only other negative was the restaurant prices .. £15 for 6 pieces of vegetarian ravioli as a main! Very pricey. Other than that nothing to fault!

"Unique room....."
kene66, 12 Novembre 2016

So the first thing to say is that the staff are very helpful and friendly and made us feel very at home. We stayed in their one and only suite through circumstance rather than grandiosity but it was very nice having separate "living" and "sleeping" areas. However what was a little unusual for a suite was the fact that the toilet and bathroom were open plan to the bedroom and the toilet and the bathroom were both without a door. Less than ideal for a romantic break! :-) Added to that the bearings on the bathroom fan had clearly gone so the fan was both very necessary and very noisy! I think the kindest way to describe the room would be "quirky" :-) :-) :-) We would certainly stay in the hotel again but would be a little hesitant in choosing the suite!

"Hotel and Spa in very scenic setting"
Eddrach, 09 Novembre 2016

A clean & friendly hotel looking out over a golf course. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable - a little bit of style over substance - you have to sit bolt upright in the chairs, and there's no shelf space in the bathroom, but these are small niggles in what was a really good hotel. Breakfast was excellent, cooked to order. Dinners were good too, though the choices a little eclectic. They need to carry a bigger stock of wine - too many had run out.

"Really good stay"
hippomay, 07 Novembre 2016

Stayed here to attend a family wedding.Hotel very clean and modern- except there is no lift. Rooms spotless and modern. The staff are very friendly and helpful.Breakfast is exceptional.. The hotel was very bus but no noise in the room. Highly recommended.

"Very happy with room and breakfast"
trinity__97, 28 Octobre 2016

We stayed in a deluxe room, which was large and very well appointed, bed was fine, but pillows a bit on the hard side op for me, but others may have liked them! Wifi was free and good. Breakfast was also very good, with lots of cooked options plus a cold buffet. Communal areas were clean and tidy. From the outside the hotel looks a bit rubbish, but inside it is nice and modern!

"Good base for exploring area"
BrummieWelsh, 24 Octobre 2016

Stayed here as a base for visiting Longleat, Wookey Hole, Wells and Bath - about 20 minute drive from all of them ! Had to book a deluxe double in order to get an extra z bed in the room for our son. Room was fabulous though- plenty of space, great shower, huge TV and great views. Easy to find, plenty of parking. We did not eat in the restaurant other than breakfast - which was the only disappointing part of our stay. The continental part was OK (self service) but the cooked part was not as good as it could have been. It was cooked to order - but on both mornings bacon was tough, sausages well under cooked. And no baked beans ! Coffee had to be ordered too - how easy is it to mix up a latte and a cappuccino ? We used the swimming pool - it was OK - a bit small for proper swimming but great for a splash. The gym is (as with a lot of hotels) open to non-resident members and looked good. Staff were very good - friendly and helpful. We had a good stay overall and would recommend.

"Informal, welcoming and friendly"
Richardcpfc, 23 Octobre 2016

Nice room, delicious food, helpful staff, great facilities! Lovely little golf course attached to the hotel, perfect to while away a couple of hours. Live music in bar or quiet restaurant catering to all tastes. Highly recommend.

"Super Somerset"
monron9, 17 Octobre 2016

2 storey building with beautiful small garden & access to the golf course. Biggest drawbackj- no lift BUT the staff helped with the luggage and any other little problem quickly and smilingly.Recently renovated . Comfortable, quiet room and bathroom clean with large fluffy towels. Heated towel rail not needed as it was warm and sunny. We had a club- organised w/end with a choice from 3 at each of 3 courses in the Restaurant . Food was locally sourced and very good. Service again helpful , prompt and efficient. Large car park. Use of leisure centre and spa treatments at cost. Buses stop 2 mins away to Bath and Wells and Bristol. The room & facilities for the Bridge were good , drinks reasonable.Get a map . sat nav. or google directions, entrance is set back from the road We really enjoyed our stay .

"Nice hotel "
User, 08 Octobre 2016

Nice hotel. Not the luxurious 4 star that we expected in terms of Service not to say the service was bad just not on par The attached Golf course / gardens made for charming viewing during breakfast . Breakfast was simple buffet spread with delightful local produce we thought that was nice until further delighted to learn the absence of cooked breakfast buffet was due to the fact it is made fresh upon request. The scrambled eggs ( most people cannot get it right ) were perfect and proof they had a real Chef there . The waiting staff were sincerely polite and non pretentious . Hard to find these days . Equally hard to find was the hotel itself nestled deep into the non illuminated car only accessible countryside a true escape but a good 30 mins drive to bath town . Rooms were satisfactory but lacked amenities I felt this was more a members club than the 4 star hotel I had anticipated . Mattress was too soft for my liking . I still don't know what the pull cord above the bed was for . Hot tub was large 6-8 ppl but broke on the 2 nd day . Pool looked nice and of a medium size although we didn't swim . Breakfast , fitness , Golf and spa would be the reasons to book this hotel .

"Friendly, welcoming and comforting.."
Cazz111_12, 03 Octobre 2016

A great location with outstanding views which were delightful (albeit next to a golf course) the hotel is set in an area overlooking a mass of green, open spaces. Check in and check out was fast and efficient and we encountered nothing but friendliness and warmth from all the staff we made contact with and Best Western should be proud of the team that runs the hotel, efficiently and effectively with their constant smiles and warmth. From reception to bar to breakfast service we were made to feel welcome at every turn and they go out of their way to ensure your stay is a good one. The hotel seemed somewhat old fashioned but this may be the style to which they aspire and prices were more than reasonable. The rooms were spotless and although the bathrooms do not overflow with luxury toiletries what they provide is more than adequate for their guests. Communal areas were comfortable and breakfast, freshly cooked to order was excellent. Beds were rather firm but the peace and quiet from the location of the hotel made for excellent sleep quality. Well priced for an overnight stay we were more than happy that we had received excellent value for money. Good, ample parking facilities, though I am unsure whether this is a hotel you could use without your own transport as it is set a fair distance from Bath and Bristol or any major local attractions and we were not here long enough to test public transport. I, personally, would have no hesitation in recommending the Centurion for a place to lay your head. Thank you to everyone involved in making our stay a good one.

"Very disappointing-ineffective management, dirty swimming pool. Not recommended."
Cathy J, 02 Octobre 2016

Throughout our dealings with this hotel we were given conflicting and inaccurate information and the management were totally ineffective. I would definitely not recommend having a function here as when trying to deal with our situation, we were continuously told that the on-call manager wasn't coming because he, "didn't have the authority " to deal with it. When we asked to speak to a manager who did , we were told, "Mark deserves a day off". I have never experienced such poor management and customer service. I find it unbelievable that in a hotel that size and advertised as a Great Western Plus that there was apparently nobody with the authority to help until 2 days later. The dining room staff and spa receptionists were very helpful but the swimming pool was green all the way around and the floor in the spa was incredibly slippery and dangerous. Overall, I would avoid this hotel particularly for functions such as weddings or conferences as the staff tell you one thing but, this is not backed up by the absent management.

"a simple choice"
RAY S, 26 Septembre 2016

Clean, pleasant hotel ,well staffed . Overall good value. Restaurant good quality but not cheap. Some menu items are a bit "strange.Bar menu ok but may need a bit more imagination. Not the cheapect hotel, but ou get what you pay for.

"Faultless"
User, 18 Septembre 2016

As soon as we checked in we had a good feeling about this place. The staff went the extra mile with their friendliness and 'can do' attitude. The room was excellent as were the other communal areas. Food was outstanding and was only bettered by the excellent, friendly waitresses. Would definitely recommend. Why isn't this place packed with locals? We'd be there every night.

"Would go back just because of the wonderful staff!"
clijan, 10 Septembre 2016

Three night short break at the Centurion and this proved to be one of the best places we've stayed for a long time. The main 'attraction' for another stay, aside from the lovely rooms/views, would have to be the staff. Without exception, staff at reception, at dinner and at breakfast excelled at good service and friendliness as well as being enthusiastic about their work; they were all delightful and the managers can be proud of their team. If there was a downside, we initially booked into the suite which you could only say was extremely highly appointed. But it really was form over function as the only thing separating the loo from the bed (about 6 ft away) was a 6' 6" partition wall with no door. I suppose it's a matter of personal taste/preferences but I'm afraid effectively 'performing' in the bedroom was less than comfortable for us. Nonetheless, when we asked for a change of room (the Deluxe Double was also very high spec'), the reception staff could not have been more helpful or efficient, arranging another room immediately and offering to move our suitcases for us while we went out for the day. Our waitress at dinner (which was also good) could not have been more enthusiastic and happy to recommend from personal experience. Breakfast was equally fine and set us up nicely for the day. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would say a big well done to all the staff.

"Excellent hotel - brilliant, helpful staff"
RE042016, 05 Septembre 2016

77 of us stayed at this hotel for 1 to 4 nights each, for my daughter's wedding at a nearby farm. We all had a wonderful time which was enhanced by the helpful staff who went out of their way to make our visit perfect. The food, 1 night's dinner and all the breakfasts, was excellent.

"Great facilities"
Shaun G, 04 Septembre 2016

Stopped here on and off for a few nights at a time over the past few month. During the weekend it is busy with wedding functions and other group functions, but these didn't impact upon my stay despite the influx of guests. The staff and management are really accommodating and can't do enough to help. Next time I'm in the area I won't hesitate to book in for my stay.

"Groupon spa deal"
lesli r, 02 Septembre 2016

Bought spa deal with friends through Groupon. spa is lovely but very small and pool not a great size. staff friendly, place is clean. one thing i would say is don't where the slippers they give you in the sauna area as you may well fall on your backside!! (health & safety!)

"Overnight trip"
brysonfamily, 30 Août 2016

Stayed for one night while visiting friends and taking a trip to longleat safari park. Staff were so friendly, we booked the family room which was a brilliant size and very clean. Swimming pool was clean and perfect for freshening up. Beautiful views all around. Very quiet overnight. Swimming pool opened at 7am so went for a swim before breakfast. Breakfast was lovely. Continental and full English. You can pick and choose as much or as little as you like. Service was with a warm welcome smile. Lovely hotel, lovely staff, can't wait to go back

"Short or Long Break"
Jonathan G, 29 Août 2016

As good a hotel as they come with all amenities, happy staff and lovely setting. Pleasant golf course. Very well equipped leisure centre. Swimming pool looked reasonable size. Did not use sauna. Room probably redecorated within the last year. Part waitress service breakfast that seemed to work well. Generous with breakfast food. Could use this hotel as short family break with children or business break.

"Lovely stay"
Julie P, 23 Août 2016

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting friends, found this a very friendly hotel with excellent reception staff nothing was too much trouble for them, the rooms were comfortable and clean and the breakfast was lovely all in all a great stay.

"No murder in Midsomer"
Ian F, 22 Août 2016

An excellent stay in this modern hotel, which is nailed onto the side of a golf-club. Our room - an upgraded one - was big and beautifully decorated. The public areas are looking tired, especially the hotel bar, but no matter. The restaurant is somewhat overpriced and the food average - my steak was at least 40% fat - and it was impossible to use the small swimming pool as it was full of screaming kids! That all said, we had an enjoyable stay in pleasant surroundings with very friendly and attentive staff.

"Lovely stay, friendly staff"
Marion S, 11 Août 2016

The hotel is beautifully appointed and the staff are friendly. The room was well equipped, clean and comfortable, especially the bed. The bathroom was also clean and well equipped. I booked room only but decided to treat my self to a full English on my first morning. Sadly this was the one area that the hotel lost points on both quality and value for money. My charge for my breakfast was £14.75. There was the usual choice of cereals, juice, fresh fruit, of which I only had juice and coffee. A full English is my treat to myself and sets me up for the day. Sadly my breakfast took more than 20 minutes from ordering to arrive. If I wanted toast I had to toast my own. The offering on the plate was one egg, one mediocre sausage one small rasher of overcooked bacon, one hash brown, half a tomato and half a slice of black pudding. Earlier this year I stayed at another spa hotel in the Lake District. It cost £20 less per person for the room and included all the usual cereals, juices, fruit, as much fresh toast as we could eat (brought to the table for us) and cooked breakfasts of locally sourced eggs, veg and meat which were very generous to say the least and cooked to perfection. In all other aspects the hotels were very similar. Other than the marked difference in breakfast costs and quality there was nothing to choose between them. A search a few moments ago on both hotels to book identical dates for identical stays in September showed the same cost disparity. That's a shame because everything else was wonderful.

"Anniversary Tour"
G9003MXmichaelg, 08 Août 2016

Booked it as a treat for the family. A well appointed hotel with all the amenities. Staff were very attentive and accommodating. Breakfast was good but the service was a little slow. Thought the meals in the restaurant were a tad overpriced for what they were, steak chips and a bit of lettuce £17.00 for an example. My wife wasn't full of praise for the four clams and bit of fish for her main either. Rooms were good overlooking the mature gardens and golf course.

"Friendly and Welcoming Hotel"
PolmontTravellers, 07 Août 2016

We stayed her for two nights while attending a relative's funeral in the area. We travelled over 400 miles from Scotland to this destination in Somerset and were delighted with the overall quality and standard offered by the hotel. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel most welcome and the staff without exception were friendly, professional and most helpful. Our first port of call after checking in was the bar for a drink after such a long journey. As there was a wedding reception taking place that bar had been designated for guests only but the lovely young lady serving said that was no problem and willingly served us two great G&T's. We then sat outside in the sun in beautiful gardens overlooking a golf course. We ate dinner in the restaurant both evenings and found the service outstanding and the quality of food excellent. Great choice of wines at very competitive prices too. Breakfast was also served in the restaurant which again was of an excellent standard offering a great variety of continental and freshly cooked items. Our waitresses were exceptionally polite and friendly and really helped to make a sad occasion that bit much more enjoyable. The funeral wake was also held here and the hotel provided a really nice finger buffet during the afternoon. Jake at reception was a really decent and most helpful staff member and presented a great example of how to deliver top quality customer service. Well done to all for making us feel so welcome. Room was very comfortable and well appointed and delivered quality at a very competitive rate. Would recommend highly to fellow travellers and only 13 miles from Bath with free on site parking too.

"Wedding 31st July 2016"
Lisaskelt, 04 Août 2016

We had our wedding here and the staff was great. The food was lovely. Great grounds. For pictures. Weather was nice and hot, It was a fantastic day we thank Mark very much it was a great day Coz of him and the team. Thanks again. Xx

"Treat yourself"
Ian T, 03 Août 2016

If you want to treat yourself, stay here, the staff are fantastic, if you need anything ask reception, you will find her so helpful. i have stayed in some great best western hotels and this is in the top 2

"Better than it Looks"
Martin C, 25 Juillet 2016

We recently had reason to stay for 2 night at this, a well specified independently operated Hotel. Although it not the most attractive of buildings it was a welcome break and the staff could not have been nicer. Everyone in our party had a good experience with good food (occasionally an over cooked black pudding) and great facilities. Clean and up to date rooms! Would stay again and recommend this Hotel.

"Perfectly professional pampering!"
pian032, 21 Juillet 2016

This was a girly break for two school friends. We used it as a base to explore Bath and the surrounding area. It was an absolute pleasure to be at this hotel. We were pampered like we were the only guests there. The staff were a delight.

"Pleasant, but could be noisy"
Molesey19, 14 Juillet 2016

Nice friendly welcome on arrival with offers of help with our luggage. Despite having a Best Western Diamond Card and showing at reception there was no ‘Recognition Gift,' so perhaps they don't fully participate in the B/W Rewards programme. We were a party of four in two separate rooms. Our room (215) was located at the rear of the hotel overlooking the golf course and well maintained garden with its pond. The room itself was comfortable and of a reasonable size, but the view from the window was spoilt by the integrity of the double glazed window having gone. There was a refreshment tray with biscuits and bottled water that were replenished each day. There was a small laptop available from reception for quests use, but when we borrowed it, it lacked power and failed to work when plugged into the mains. Breakfast was the usual full English with a few alternatives. During our stay there was a function taking place which had some fairly loud music, therefore those wanting a quiet nights sleep might want to avoid the weekend.

"A great hotel "
Suegolf, 13 Juillet 2016

Recently stayed as part of a large group. A warm welcome and efficient check in for a party of 14. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was superb and cooked to order. On a couple of days we had an early start. .pre ordered and all delivered on time! A quiet location would highly recommend. All staff extremely helpful.

"FOOD GREAT - BEDS AWFUL"
GEORGE H, 05 Juillet 2016

Everything was great until we went to bed and found the beds to be rock hard.We both have bad backs so were not expecting the beds to be as soft as ours at home but we did not expect them to be as hard as they were.We hardly slept a wink.I mentioned this to the Receptionist who said all the beds were the same and there was nothing she could do.Needless to say we cancelled our return visit.Shame really as everything else was fine especially the breakfast.

"Lovely Hotel"
Pookies62, 23 Juin 2016

My husband and I have just returned from a three night break at this hotel and we had a lovely time. It has obviously recently been refurbished and our room was like new. There were lots of nice touches such as a black out blind, good wi fi and Clipper teas. Breakfast was lovely and hot selections are cooked fresh to order. We also ate in the restaurant on two evenings which was very good. I would say that the restaurant would have been quite pricey if we hadn't had a Tastecard. One small criticism was that we went to the spa to use the jacuzzi but we only managed to make it work for a couple of minutes and then it went off and there was no one around to help. Apart from that, 10 out of 10.

"Amazing hotel , great value for money"
bobblehead35, 09 Juin 2016

Stopped here for 1 night . Its in the sticks which is perfect for us. The room was very very clean and the the Spa / Pool was Great. Surrounding gardens beautiful and peaceful. However Reception Staff need to go on a training course !!! Both women that we met (one on reception on the first night and one on Pool reception the following morning ) were sullen rude and unhelpful!!! You would have got a 5 if they had done their jobs properly. Didnt stay for breakfast so cant comment on that.

"Comfortable and elegant"
John_D1096378, 07 Juin 2016

The staff are friendly and helpful and my room, which had a beautiful view over the golf course, was comfortable and well-equipped - perfect for a one-night stay in North Somerset. I have already booked my next stay.

"Better than it looks"
Vanessa R, 07 Juin 2016

I booked the Leona suite for a night following a weekend in Wales as a half way stop. On approaching the hotel I was very disappointed. It's in an industrial area and doesn't look great from the outside, however the grounds of the hotel, which are at the back and cannot be seen from the roads are absolutely beautiful. The golf course is beautifully maintained and the gardens are lovely. The room was really nice, the bathroom was exceptional but there were just a couple of things that let the experience down. The bathrobes were cheap nylon and could have been better and the room has no air-conditioning and was exceptionally hot. That aside we did have a lovely stay. The staff were very amenable and couldn't of been more helpful, the food was excellent and the sun was shining.

"Nice but soulless"
Vale_P_1973, 05 Juin 2016

The hotel is nicely kept, a Best Western with all its features: nice, modern decoration, great bedding, perfectly equipped bathroom, etc. But the grounds here are so beautiful that it's a shame that no effort has been put into making the most out of them in terms of service. They have tables and benches outside - yet no service (we wanted to sit outside for a beer one night and not only we had to get the drink ourselves: they did not want to open the door for us to get out!). The restaurant has a nice decor, yet the waitresses were cleaning with chemicals the table next to us while we were having dinner. The indoor pool is in fact part of a gym so there are people doing lanes rather than just relaxing and there are no chairs or sunbeds to relax, and don't even bother with the rest of the "spa" experience - just awful. We even got nasty faces from the staff when asking at reception for the bus timetables to go into Bath one morning. You get the picture: the place should be great given the infrastructure/grounds but they make no effort to be welcoming or provide you with good service. It's a shame, really.

"Pleasant Stay"
Julie B, 04 Juin 2016

Very pleasant stay at the Centurion Hotel. The staff were were very pleasant and amenable. Our evening meal in the restaurant was delicious in the dining/ conservatory room. The hotel is within close driving distance of Odd down Park and Ride giving easy access into Bath.

"Enjoyed my stay"
Lucy C, 01 Juin 2016

Went to pick up my daughter from her first year at uni... And stayed overnight at this hotel. Really good choice.... nice bedroom, excellent breakfast and a quick swim before I left. Oh and a Helpful receptionist who advised on where to eat. I definitely be returning to stay in this hotel on my next trip to bath.

"Three night stay in May"
Iain M, 30 Mai 2016

We stayed for 3 nights in May 2016 and found this hotel to be in an excellent location for bus services between Bath, Midsomer Norton and Wells. The rooms were excellent, the staff very helpful and a delghtful experience for breakfast in the conservatory. Leisure facilities very good and it also has a 9 hole golf course.

"Lovely hotel when staying for Wedding"
Alisa A, 24 Mai 2016

My family and I stayed here whilst away for a wedding. The breakfast, restaurant and bar staff were very helpful and friendly to all if us. You could have a swim or have a workout in the gym, which seemed well equipped. The family rooms were an excellent size and included a reasonably sized bathroom with a shower. There was plenty of car parking space and although the Hotel is spread out over a reasonable area it had a welcoming and friendly feel. Would definitely stay again. Would recommend that you book a deal to include some meals as the restaurant could otherwise be a little expensive.

"On the edge of Bristol, but surrounded by countyside"
Quintin C, 21 Mai 2016

Don't miss out on the characterful pub and a steaming the orangerie! The hotel is a unique layout, but is well maintained, clean and comfortable. Ample parking, just make sure to park close if rain is forecast or remember your umbrella. It might be helpfull to book a table door dinner as the bar and restaurant can get busy not just with residents, but locals too.

"Some things wrong but overall I liked the place - rating really is a 3+"
malcthetalc55, 21 Mai 2016

Mixed feelings about this place. evening food okay and served in a really nice location. Breakfast overpriced. we went to local farm shop after first encounter. Room quite nice although bathroom was small. The shower controls were vertical and very stiff. My wife could not turn them on at all. Not good for older people or those with arthritis or rheumatism - need a rethink. Hotel appears to be in the middle of an industrial estate but has lovely gardens and a small golf course which is a nice surprise

"A very pleasant hotel with friendly, helpful staff."
gazzawi, 19 Mai 2016

An attractive ,modern hotel with spacious,well-appointed bedrooms. Breakfast was excellent but we did not dine there. A good quality golf course was attached but I did not have the opportunity to play. The only downside was that some of the bedrooms were overlooked by the on-site road which gave us poor privacy unless the blinds were dropped.

"Nice hotel, excellent restaurant"
J8381QOjohns, 18 Mai 2016

Stayed one night on business. The hotel is nice, modernised and quiet. Pleasant rooms and lovely views over the golf course. The restaurant for dinner and breakfast was outstanding for a hotel restaurant. Beautiful food and very good service.

"Excellent again"
lembing, 17 Mai 2016

Had another great experience here having last visited about 4 years ago. Staff were extremely helpful and Katie on reception showed a genuine interest in ensuring all our needs were met. ( we arrived early and she arranged for our rooms to be prepared as a priority so that we could check-in) The place was very clean with some lovely outside space. The swimming pool delighted the children ( and adults!) Dinner was a good standard and they accommodated a brought in birthday cake no problem. Great selection for breakfast with an accompanying level of great service.

"A short pleasant stay"
michaelvw, 25 Avril 2016

My wife and I stayed for three nights bed and breakfast and were very satisfied, even though the stay was rather expensive. I would have preferred better overall lighting in the bedroom. The bathroom, although rather small had excellent hot water - perhaps too hot, but it was easily controlled.

"Easy access to Bath without paying Bath premiums"
Jules1812, 25 Avril 2016

A nice little hotel 9 miles (approx) outside Bath. Bit unsure on arrival as in middle of housing estate but lovely grounds out the back to the golf course. Very quiet, despite there being a wedding reception that evening. Very clean, pleasant and a good bus service into Bath that cost £6.50 return per person- cheaper than parking your car for the day, however we did notice there was a park and ride near Radstock too. Great breakfast and easy check out.

"Bath hotel break"
Mole48, 09 Avril 2016

Lovely hotel in a good location. Unfortunately some members of staff would benefit from some customer service training. Mark the manager was excellent at sorting out an issue we had whilst on our stay and Neil was so helpful and really went out of his way for us! ~Thank you Neil

"Surprisingly Good!!"
Red1Bristol, 05 Avril 2016

I stayed at this hotel for one night during early April on business and have to say that I am struggling to find fault. . . At all!! From the moment you arrive to a warm welcome from the clearly well drilled desk staff to the moment you check out, everything just seems to work here. The check in and check out process was quick and efficient and the rooms well appointed with all that you would expect such as desk to work at, refreshments aplenty, complimentary waters, separate table and comfortable high back chairs. The room I stayed in (229) was extremely clean and faced out across the adjoining golf course so nice and quiet. The bed was clean and comfortable so a good nights rest was had. Free Wi-Fi is on hand also which is a necessity these days I feel and runs at a good speed. The main restaurant had a decent menu but what surprised me the most was how well portioned the meals were as well as being excellently presented. I had space for 3 courses and remained comfortable and not stuffed. A lot of restaurants could learn from this approach for sure!! I stay in a lot of hotels and dine in many restaurants and I have to say that the presentation was high end eatery level (certainly on the night I stayed at least) which really wasn't expected at a Best Western establishment. The waiting staff were polite, efficient and unobtrusive which is exactly what I hope for at any restaurant I use. Breakfast was a similar experience to the evening meal with a young, polite, efficient and unobtrusive waiting team who appeared happy at their work which was a pleasure to witness. Food quality was very good with a good selection of options. Before departure, I needed to utilise a lounge for a brief meeting with a colleague and was offered a comfortable lounge to use and was advised (by who I believe was the Manager) that there were also other lounges I could use if the one provided wasn't suitable!! The lounge was again, well appointed with comfortable couches, chairs and coffee available if needed as well as looking out across the garden and golf course so a pleasant outlook. There is also a health club at this hotel which I didn't use but have no doubt would be managed as well as the hotel itself. All in all, I would be inclined to congratulate the Management team at this hotel as they have a great team of people who make this place a pleasure to reside at. Very well done!!

"Excellent service"
Anthony B, 03 Avril 2016

Overall a very well priced hotel for 4 nights for my wife, myself and our 1 year old son. Front desk staff were very helpful in sorting out a small problem we had, and to put my bike in safe storage whilst we stayed. Very attentive during our stay. Breakfast (included in our deal) was excellent with lots of variety. Hotel restaurant in the evening was a bit limited (few items on the menu were not available) but although quite pricey the food quality was excellent and staff wonderful with our son. The pool was great to take our son in, and we had good treatments at the attached spa. Only problem was on one night the noise from a wedding in the hotel carried to our hotel room. We mentioned it the next morning and the staff seemed concerned and interested to prevent it happening again.

"Easter Sunday Lunch."
MrsG47, 27 Mars 2016

We were visiting family in the area and they booked a table in the Restaurant for the 6 of us to have Sunday lunch. The Cornish crab starter although very tasty was in my opinion a little overpriced for the amount that was on the plate. My husband had the wild garlic soup, which he enjoyed. 5 of us had the Roast beef with lovely crispy roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. My husband had the Lamb, which unfortunately was rather rare and we weren't warned of this when ordering. He ate most of it but didn't really enjoy it. The cauliflower cheese and other vegetables that are served in seperate dishes were very nice indeed. The waiting staff were all very pleasant and very polite. Would we eat there again? Yes we would.

"Lovely hotel and wedding venue"
Karen E, 27 Mars 2016

We stayed the weekend for my niece's wedding and had a wonderful time. Rooms were very comfortable, staff helpful and food excellent. Delightful views over golf course. Very nice spa, gym and pool included without fuss or extra charge. Breakfast was delicious - one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had! Wedding food also top class, with spacious rooms for party. Very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Would highly recommend, both as hotel and wedding venue.

"Great hotel. "
lloydy1978, 27 Mars 2016

The hotel is great, clean and well looked after. The staff were friendly and helpful. The was first class. The only downside was that when we stopped there was a wedding party and it sounded like the dj was in our room. The walls aren't very thick which meant we heard the wedding guest come back turning lights on and off and you could tell what was on tv due to the volume. Our 4 year old son wasn't impressed. Even with this downside I would most definitely stop again.

"Valentines Weekend"
Sanka1, 27 Mars 2016

Visited on the Valentines weekend. Hotel located in a quiet area and next to a well maintained golf course. Although the weather wasn't nice enough for us to play, there were plenty of indoor activities such as the swimming pool and spa. Would be best if breakfast was provided free since its quite far from Bath.

"Location"
Ronald T, 25 Mars 2016

Very nice ,quiet Hotel with good amenities and an excellent restaurant overlooking the golf course. Wide choice on the breakfast menu and very good dinner menu. Ideally located for exploring local area and especially Bath.

"The Staff make this Hotel an excellent choice"
Peter B, 23 Mars 2016

We chose this Best Western Plus Hotel to visit the Somerset area especially Wells. The Hotel is everything you should expect from a Plus Best Western. The rooms are very well maintained by very polite staff who always take the time to talk to the residents. The Breakfeasts are freshly cooked to your choice and arrived just as you specified.Poached eggs are done to perfection.would highly recommend this Hotel which is very quiet at night. If you can ask for a Golf Course view room much better than Car Park view.

"Spa and Lunch"
Ange101, 20 Mars 2016

Groupon Voucher. Gym facilities:- Mike was super helpful and got us set up really quickly. Everything was there that would be needed for a workout. Spa:- Sauna, steam room, spa pool and showers were all working, clean and tidy. Great way to wind down. Restaurant:- Lovely lunch, nothing to complain about. Efficient service and tasty food. Priced well. A great morning spent here. You get slippers and a robe when using the Spa. All of the staff were friendly.

"Great hotel"
Yimeng P, 09 Mars 2016

Friendly and helpful hotel staff. Feel welcomed and the restaurant food was amazing! I stayed with my 3 year old daughter and my mother. They both enjoyed the facilities of the hotel. Thank you for giving us a lovely time.

"Location, location, vacation !"
Violette V, 28 Février 2016

The couple at the bar were confused, this hotel isn't in Bath ? No it isn't but the location is better than Bath. With easy access to many local Somerset attractions but all the quality of a Bath hotel the countryside location makes it easier to navigate to and where would you put the 9 hole golf course in central Bath ? Lovely appointed rooms, warm and comfortable with modern decor and attentive, polite and cheery staff to help you. The on site spa is a bonus and guests can use that and the gym and pool while they stay. The restaurant has its own bar, but a separate sports bar is available if you need to catch up on the Rugby or Football or just the latest music. Great stay and worth a visit to the restaurant for a lovely choice of dishes and one of the best breakfasts laden with ocal produce that once could ask for.

"Anniversary "
nickysafc, 23 Février 2016

Stayed for 2 nights. Clean and tidy beds comfy and had amenities in room.used gym and spa both good but pool poor and cold. J Bar area was cold and bar staff Ashley wasn't very pleasant or helpful. Food ok but pricey for what you got. Restaurant was lovely and breakfast was lovely and pleasant with plenty of choice. Was disappointed as got a raw egg instead of a poached one! For money paid was ok would use again if necessary.

"Comfortable and friendly"
Cacourt, 23 Février 2016

A very acceptable base from which to make a day trip into Bath. Not cheap but more reasonably priced than other hotels in Bath itself or closer in. The hotel is about twenty minutes drive from the Odd Down park and ride on the south side of the city centre and from there it's a ten minute bus ride into Bath itself, at a fare of just over £5 for two people. The park and ride is a bit tucked away off the roundabout found at sat nav location BA2 8PA. The entrance and car park to the hotel Is immediately opposite some unattractive warehouses and on a main road, so first impressions aren't great. When you're inside the hotel all of that is soon forgotten and no longer noticeable as views of the garden and small golf course mostly take over. We booked a deluxe double room on the first floor on the garden side. It was spacious and comfortable and complimented by the very modern bathroom. The only slight drawback was a lack of control on the room temperature. There was no central room thermostat if you wanted to edge up the temperature. But the bathroom towel rail blasted out heat most of the time, so opening and closing the door made quite a difference. Dinner was good, delicious steaks, venison and scallops being among items added on the daily specials menu. Good freshly and individually cooked full breakfasts too. My wife enjoyed some good and reasonably priced spa treatments, booked a couple of days in advance. The swimming pool doesn't look particularly enticing compared to some in similar sized hotels, though the gym certainly looked well equipped. The hotel's back bar doubles as the clubhouse for the onsite golf course. It has live music on some Friday nights and a good choice of beer and lager from Sharps brewery on the pumps. It's worth noting that's there's no lift available for hotel guests here (there are only two floors anyway) and it looks like the hotel is often busy with wedding receptions and events. It's probably worth checking ahead if you're concerned that might affect your stay. Overall we enjoyed our two nights here and would certainly return again.

"Excellent choice of food"
LMO14, 22 Février 2016

We had a fantastic week last year at the Centurion and this time stayed for three nights. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful as before and the cleanliness and facilities could not be faulted. This year the wonderful surprise was the choice in the restaurant. The breakfasts always had lots of choice but this year, at both lunch and dinner, as well as the main menu (with choices) there was an additional menu with daily specials. This was excellent for me as I mainly eat fish and there were different dishes to tempt me each day - scallops (wonderful), sea bass (lovely crispy skin) and turbot (moist but a bit small). Well done the new head chef (ex-sous chef). Keep up the good work!

"very Pleasant stay"
Paul S, 18 Février 2016

We based ourselves at this hotel for a sightseeing visit to Bath and surrounding areas. It is about 6 miles from Bath, but an easy journey in, or use the Park and Ride en route. The check in was quick and efficient. Large car park. The room was fairly standard for a Great Western, plenty of storage for clothes etc. free room safe, tea / coffee making facility. Bathroom had bath and powerful shower. Lighting in bathroom a bit dim. Free wifi coverage very good. Only downside to the room was lack of power outlets on top of work surface. The TV was plugged in and in front of the only double socket, so we either had to move the tv to plug kettle in, or use a floor socket. Guests have free use of swimming pool and spa. Very good. Breakfast choice was very good, with several cooked options with flexibility to add or remove items from full English. All staff were very friendly and polite. Didn't have a chance to use on site bar or restaurant so can't comment on those.

"Good midweek break"
Peter P, 18 Février 2016

My wife and I stayed three midweek nights recently. We had a ground floor room with good facilities. We made use of the Spa and Pool each day. These are good except the pool is not adjacent to the jaccusi, sauna and steam room. The pool is a good size though. The food in the restaurant is excellent. Breakfast could not be more extensive. Overall we had a great value winter break.

"Terrible experience for birthday treat!! "
hay1233, 13 Février 2016

If you plan on using the spa and booking a treatment double check and triple check your arrangements!! No communication between the two departments!! Turn up for a relaxing day to find there wasn't enough room in the spa for 5 of us when we had rang at least 3 times to confirm booking!! Disappointing as was planned as a surprise for a 30th birthday celebration!! Green Apple staff couldn't have been more helpful shame I can't say the same for the staff at reception!! Won't be planning a spa day here again!!

"Lovely Stay"
OspreyGP, 08 Février 2016

Staff were very helpful, the hotel was very well appointed and the rooms were clean and very comfortable. I really cant praise this hotel enough, it was a very pleasurable stay and i would have no hesitation in staying again.

"Our second wonderful weekend at this hotel"
Gill504171, 08 Février 2016

I cannot say how lovely the staff are in this hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for them from the staff in the spa to the reception and waiting staff The food was wonderful and there were lots of choices, the wines were not as expensive as the usually are in hotels and again there were lots of choices The rooms were lovely and comfortable.

"Pleasent"
Paula L, 05 Février 2016

Lovely hotel, with very helpful cheerful staff including the cleaner. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. The only slight criticism was that we didn't feel that for the price we paid for our food in the restaurant we got a great meal. Very pricey and the choice was not varied enough for all tastes.

"A weekend stay to see family and friends"
thesaint0_2, 01 Février 2016

This is the second visit to the Centurion for us and we were not disappointed if anything the Hotel has gone one better with upgraded decor and staff who were very pleasant and attentive to any issues that arose. The restaurant staff and chef provided the most delightful dining experience, 5 courses of creative delicious food and drink. The spa and gym are very well equipped and a nice swimming pool to relax in afterwards all lead to a wonderful stay. The room (deluxe superior) left you needing to ask for anything spacious very clean and fully equipped to a high standard, the shower and bathroom were again excellent, other guest traffic noise was non existent. Will be back for new years celebration for sure.

Very clean and friendly service. Breakfast was lovely and well presented.Would recommend this hotel. Situated about 20 minutes from Bath. We took a trip to the Thermae spa in Bath and had a brilliant day.

"Hotel receptionist was fantastic"
648Sue, 03 Janvier 2016

We stayed for a family get together and a trip to the Bath Christmas market. Angie, the hotel receptionist, was fantastic. She was very friendly and professional, and helped us a great deal. Jake was also helpful advising us on the Christmas market. The hotel was comfortable. The treatment at Green Apple therapy rooms was very professional - much better than most hotels we have stayed at.

"New year/ birthday celebration "
Natasha P, 02 Janvier 2016

I don't often write reviews on trip advisor but I felt eager to share my experience. I had organised a trip to Longleat for my sons first birthday, which is New Year's Day. I spent numerous hours maybe even days looking/ researching places suitable for my son.. And this hotel came out best for facilities, distance to Longleat and price. And having stayed two nights at the hotel it did not disappoint. New year can be a funny time of year with limited places to eat open .. And we were aware before our visit of the restaurant being full New Year's Eve & the bar serving food till 6.. We had made other arrangements. This didn't bother us. We arrived to another couple checking in, giving the receptionist 'a bit of stick' for the above, but they were able to give room service after this 6pm. The receptionist was pleasant and extremely helpful. All the staff were beyond accommodating and friendly. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for ourselves and our son. The bed was comfortable. We weren't disturbed atall.. Even though it was New Year's Eve. The breakfast was full of fresh produce. My husband had a full breakfast, which he enjoyed and I had a continental breakfast. There was many local pressed juices, yoghurts, fruit etc We were never left waiting or asking for a thing.. The staff would approach is always first to ask if we wanted anything or recommended something or anything to help us or make things easier. We felt relaxed and comfortable at all times. The pool was warm, and our son enjoyed himself! There was a number of other small children using the pool too which was lovely. This hotel really does seem to accommodate families well. We had eat at Jays bar new year day in the evening .. And I was hungry but didn't fancy anything of the menu .. Not because there wasn't much choice .. Because there was.. Just after Christmas I wanted something plain & simple .. So I asked for chicken & vegetables .. And I was served that .. With a lovely sauce .. And it was wonderful! Probably the tastiest chicken breast I have had for a while!! We have both already said we would like to return. For value for money, and purpose of this trip it suited all our needs... It was beyond my expectations. Could not recommend this place enough!! Just hope we return soon!!! I've left feeling relaxed and have a wonderful memory of our sons First Birthday!!

"New Years Eve"
Elaine E, 01 Janvier 2016

My husband and I had a fabulous stay at the Centurion, the 5 course dinner was amazing really tasty, presented exceptionally well, the staff did a great job nothing was to much trouble, we stayed over and again the room was clean and comfortable and met a high standard. Breakfast was high quality the staff very welcoming and tentative to our needs. I would recommend a visit to this little gem of a hotel

"Average Hotel"
239shelaghh, 21 Décembre 2015

Very nice to stay and staff very good until they are due to go home.Food in the restaurant very limited and would probably choose to eat somewhere else next time. This was a family get together and we all left dissapointed.

"Centurion Hotel"
Kate222015, 11 Décembre 2015

Never judge a book by it's cover, and this applies to the Centurion Hotel, as inside, the décor and presentation as well as the helpfulness of the staff, outdo what on the outside appears bland and standard fare. The only draw back, the leisure facilities which are due an upgrade.

"Leisure Trip 2 nights"
Paula Jean M, 06 Décembre 2015

Room very poorly lit. Extremely noisy despite having porter try to stop noise from fan upstairs. Awake all night, fan eventually went off at 6.30a.m. Nowhere to put anything in bathroom. Presentation of meals very poor, cold food including breakfast. Unable to have scrambled eggs. Fish overcooked at dinner. Service non existent at breakfast and dinner time, took ages for meals to arrive and long wait in between courses. Very uncomfortable chairs in bedroom, too low had to sit on the bed. View from window was the car park. Bed very comfortable and sheets, duvet. Room and all areas of hotel spotless.

"Nice event but disorganised, over-charging and pestering us for extra payments left a bad taste"
Jo C, 05 Décembre 2015

I went to a party at this hotel and it was fun, food was good and duty staff friendly and helpful. My bad experience was related to charging. There was a discounted room rate that we were told we would be eligible for but that guests would have to book separately themselves. As soon as I was told this I promptly booked two rooms online. Meanwhile the hotel had taken a provisional booking list with my name on it. It was pointed out at least twice to the hotel that my booking was for the rooms on the list but they failed to make the reconciliation in numbers or to let me know about the discount. Not only did I pay full price but they then tried to charge me for the extra rooms. They pestered my family with phone calls and emails which I did not appreciate. When I finally got to speak to the manager, who appeared to have instructed his staff to collect payment and then gone on leave, it became clear that there had been a breakdown in communication on their side because the event coordinator had left the company. He did agree not to charge for the extra rooms (kind of him) but said he would not apply the discount because I had booked online. At no point was I told not to book online, The manager gave a reason that my booking online was because the hotel would have to pay commission....however if the events coordinator had made the correct reconciliation there would have been time for me to cancel and rebook, as my booking was 100% refundable. Basically my impression was that the hotel just wanted to maximise their revenue and not take responsibility for their errors. They spent the best part of a week pestering for payment then avoided talking to me when I wanted to complain. It's a shame, we had a good event, I thoroughly enjoyed the evening but being pestered and being over-charged was not part of the deal!

"Perfect brief stay"
DAVID N, 03 Décembre 2015

we stayed in the suite for two nights and I would recommend the experience to everyone. The view of the golf course is great and the bathroom is stunning The main thing about the centurion is the attitude of the staff they are all so happy and helpful. Bath and Bristol are reasonably close and the park and ride for Bath makes visiting the city so easy

"Second stay...It just gets better"
SpringExpert, 26 Novembre 2015

After an enjoyable stay a couple of years ago, I decided to rebook as I had to return to the area. Last time there was some building work being done, but all is finished now and everything appears complete. The food is very high quality...especially breakfast. The pool is a reasonable size, but six of us trying to complete as many "lengths" (it's a square pool!) as possible was a little cramped. I'll definitely return.

"Everything I wanted - will definitely return!"
Honeybee_Xxx, 23 Novembre 2015

What a great find for business travellers. The room was clean and well equipped with a high quality hostess tray and nice products in the bathroom. The hotel has a spa, pool and gym. Most importantly, they do room service which is really nice when you're travelling solo and tired. There was a good choice and the food was delicious. They were considerate and brought the pud 20 minutes after the main. I felt like I was getting really good value for money and an excellent service. Also nice that the TV was a good size. All is all - very impressive for the price.

"very clean hotel and frendly staff."
Sharon P, 21 Novembre 2015

All the staff at this hotel were friendly and helpful, the hotel was very clean, the food was nice but a bit pricey in the restaurant , 10% was added to the bill for service on top so a meal for two was £45.00, which for the restaurant we was in just seamed a bit step in price, also the pool at this hotel needed a clean around the tiles at the top edge of the pool, the bottom was very clean, we was surprized about this as the rest of the hotel was spotless, the Jacuzzi room was lovely and our over all stay was very good , we used the hotel as a base for going into Bath and Longleat etc.

"Winter break"
Mr M W, 18 Novembre 2015

Staff were very helpful and friendly at this hotel. Very comfortable hotel in an area which has lots of interesting areas to visit. We used the restaurant for dinner only once, but found it quite pricey and limited choice. Breakfast was adequate, would have liked beans and fried bread to make it a true English breakfast!!

"Comfortable and modern."
gsbdud, 16 Novembre 2015

Stayed for 2 nights including Sunday to get the special offer. Room was quiet, clean and modern with good quality free wifi. The room was warm without having the heating on. We ate in the bar and found the food to be good if a bit over priced. The restaurant menu is limited and very pricey so we didn't eat in there. Breakfast service was a bit slow but the cooked option was good (although no baked beans!) , the continental selection was limited but the bread was lovely. The hotel does have a comfortable modern lounge area to sit in and there is a pool and gym . It was not easy to find in the dark but the location is ideal for visiting Bath -we used the park and ride service.

"Lovely hotel in a tranquil setting"
BorntotravelUK, 16 Novembre 2015

This hotel doesn't disappoint! Have stayed here many times and always good value for money. We tend to book a deluxe room as we like the extra space and larger bed! The staff are always cheerful efficient and have a ready smile. The food is excellent both in quality and quantity. Local ingredients are always sourced and on offer.

"Affordable Luxury."
Kevin F, 07 Novembre 2015

This Hotel is a real find. Their attention to detail is probably the reason, but whatever it is, it works!! I have no reservations in recommending this for special occasions or a bit of self-indulgence - the Spa is very good quality, with a great steam room!

"NOT a cheap weekend break!"
Andreaa2510, 03 Novembre 2015

We were greeted by a rather grumpy looking woman, after arriving at 6pm we went straight down to dinner, we found the food was over priced and the atmosphere very depressing. We had a small drink each and a main and it came up to 40 quid!! We were offered a newspaper and wasn't told there would be a charge. After leaving I was then noted that I had been charged for smoking in my room and that they had taken £75 out of my account.. I am a non- smoker, therefore this charge is ridiculous! Brining the grand total for 1 night stay to £225!! Umm should have booked the Ritz!!

"Comfortable and clean"
Margaret W, 02 Novembre 2015

The Hotel has good facilities with a bar, restaurant and swimming pool, and our room was comfortable, clean and quite spacious. However, we were above the laundry and our sleep was disturbed by machine noise, which was a shame as the bed was comfortable and the area is quiet otherwise. I would recommend asking for a room facing the golf course. Apart from this, it was a nice Hotel and staff were friendly. It is rather isolated. Midsomer Norton is a mile away, where you will find the nearest pub - The White Post Inn - a real ale pub popular with locals, but I wouldn't want to eat there.

"Impressive"
Gary2102, 30 Octobre 2015

Lovely modern hotel with great views of the golf course. Top quality food and great prices. Room was a good size for the 3 of us and easily accessible. Only gripe was that the hot water tap is boiling hot!! Not good if your training your little one to wash hands. Would recommend highly.

"Clean, Friendly, Limited choice at restaurant"
Richard W, 30 Octobre 2015

The hotel is very good. Rooms are of a decent size and plenty comfortable. The only downside to the hotel is the restaurant attached. If you don't like steak or any seafood then you have a limited choice. Luckily however I don't have this problem

"Good but not the best...."
186414Dave, 28 Octobre 2015

Clean, tidy, excellent staff, good food, easy parking, spacious and comfortable bedroom. Jays bar seemed to be the local pub, very few seats due to vast outside custom, I would prefer a hotel which has a bar specific for guests. On our day of arrival we were informed no guests would be able to eat in the bar or the restaurant until after 8.30 due to a wedding. We found this shocking-no warning until we asked to book a table! The only way to get something to eat was to order from the room service menu, this we did and had to pay a "tray service" charge! The pool was acceptable but not quite what we thought it be after looking at it on-line. Overall a place we would stay again but check that they don't have a wedding on. We stay often at Weymouth(Rembrandt), and although not a "plus Hotel" we find it far superior. They do a fantastic Buffett breakfast there, whereas The Centurian do it to order-not as good.

"A good base for a business stay"
Phil W, 28 Octobre 2015

The hotel has good facilities for an informal business lunch or meeting. Rooms are of a high standard, Wi-Fi is robust, food of a decent quality and service friendly. As we have many associates in that part of the world, we will definitely be using that hotel as a base for future meetings.

"Spacious rooms, expensive resaurant"
Paul B, 14 Octobre 2015

Very impressed with this hotel. Staff very helpful. It's a long walk from reception to the restaurant and bar but this meant the room that I had near reception was very quiet. Probably the best night's sleep I've had in hotel for a long time. The restaurant food was excellent although a bit on the expensive side. £22 for steak, chips and salad. The peppercorn sauce was delicious though. The room was spacious and well equipped. Everything in the hotel was spotlessly clean. Although I didn't get to try them out the swimming pool and gym looked very appealing. Maybe next time. I recommend this hotel and will certainly stay again.

"wedding"
Cherry H, 07 Octobre 2015

fantastic staff and food excellent rooms great nothing was to much trouble our daughter and her husbands wedding they've had the most fantastic day stress free and a lot of family stayed here with us over four days and not one complaint from anybody including staff

"Lovely"
Rebekah B, 03 Octobre 2015

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights at the end of September. We found the room to be nicely decorated, very clean and well stocked. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We used the pool and sauna/steam room/jacuzzi, which were all in good condition and nice to use. We had the breakfast included and that was fine too. All in all we had a great stay. :)

"Excellent Hotel"
lindaboo62, 01 Octobre 2015

We would definitely recommend this hotel - all areas are spotlessly clean, the breakfast offers a good range of products that are beautifully served and presented and the rooms are of a good standard with well appointed amenities within. The grounds are kept immaculate and the hotel itself offers a great base to explore the West Country areas. The only tiny gripe would be that the Lounge/Bar only offered one vegetarian option on their menu and when that was ordered they didn't have it and we had to accept the alternative - more veggie choice would be good, however the vegetarian breakfast offering was excellent. All the staff were friendly and professional, the on-site spa was a treat and the communal areas are comfortable and inviting. We would definitely choose this hotel again if we were in the area.

"Small & Quiet"
Julie P, 30 Septembre 2015

Lovely little hotel with friendly staff who go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant, nice pool and spa too. The only disappointment is, that because we were booking with Tesco Clubcard Tokens, we were not permitted to book a double room, resulting with our anniversary break being spent in a twin bedded room, beds could do with updating too, other than that, can't complain.

"Should have been better"
Markyboy1st, 24 Septembre 2015

We used the hotel for visiting Bath. It was a cheap way to do this. We used our Tesco points converted to BW vouchers. It's close to Bath and the park&ride so we didn't have to use the expensive car parks in the city. The hotel was great, the food was good for both breakfast and evening meals and I cannot fault the staff at all. Very friendly and helpful. However, a lot of reviews have already said the same thing and that's 'WEDDINGS'! We stayed Sunday to Tuesday and to be honest we knew it was a popular wedding venue before we stayed but didn't expect there to be any weddings on on these days. Our room was far enough away from the main function room that we couldn't hear the music but all night we had guests walking up and down the corridors shouting, singing and generally being disrespectful of other hotel guests who were probably trying to sleep. This took the edge off for me, hence the score because without the disturbance I would have scored 5/5.
