    « Tout à fait satisfaisant »

We received a nice welcome in this hotel. Our room was large and well decorated. The hotel was clean and it was pleasant to stay in the lobby or near the swimming pool. We'll come back if we have the opportunity to come again in this area.

« Best Breakfast attendant in Texas »

The hotel was clean and service was good! The breakfast attendant was kind- she didn't rush even though we stayed past the closing time. Good help is hard to find --lets hope they keep this sweet woman!

    « Clean and comfortable »

Hotel is clean. The beds were super comfortable. It was a good halfway stop over for us between Fort Worth and College Station for a very quick overnight stop. Some additional toiletries such as a separate shampoo and conditioner would nice to have. Breakfast was average - your typical hotel free breakfast bar.

« BW Marlin Inn, Marlin Texas »

This is one of the best managed BW my wife and I have stayed in. In this small community they seem to always fine very competent employees from the desk clerks, the kitchen staff, maintenance and maids. they seem all well trained and eager to assist us if they are able. The owner operators should be considered as management for any company owned BW hotels at least in the immediate area.

    « Stop over »

Room was clean and quite. Breakfast was very good with many choices for all tastes. Convenient location from main highway. Friendly staff and prompt with requests. Will use it again if the occasion requires to travel in that area.

« Best Western Marlin Inn & Suites »

This was our first trip to take our son for a college visit and what should have been a fun exciting time turned bad with our stay here. Our room had a horrible odor which we determined was coming from the A/C and the A/C was not even cooling. The beds were bad and room hot and noisy so we could not sleep. The breakfast was poor with expired creamers for coffee and nasty cold gravy. The internet service was very intermittent. I would not stay here again.

    « As Expected »

We were arriving after midnight, so we decided not to splurge on an expensive hotel and went with this one just for a clean place to sleep. The hotel was fairly new and pretty clean except for a hair in the fridge. We stayed in room 101 and could see the hotel was not well-built and will run down quickly, but it's good for now. The carpet had an exposed seam and the bathroom door is hard to close. There is an added screw holding the vanity on the wall. But overall it was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was plentiful. We would stay there again.

    « Exceptional Service »

Everything was great. Beds were comfortable. Staff was very concerned about an issue that occurred concerning another room that we booked and ended up not needing, this hotel took great care of us. Wee were visiting a very sick family member.

« Do not stay here »

The water was undrinkable and was posted as such. The staff was not very friendly and did not offer an alternative for drinking water. The room rate was twice what other name brand motels in the area charge.

    « Don't stay here if you're expecting a comfortable stay »

When I arrived, the front desk clerk was rude, she acted like it wasn't a big deal when I told her that there was no toilet paper in the room. The breakfast was horrible, the biscuits were hard as a rock and the eggs were fake. I always stay at Best Western when I travel, but I will make sure that I stay away from this location.

« Good, clean place to stay. »

We were in Waco for a football game, and opted for a room in Marlin rather than pay Baylor Parents' Weekend hotel prices in Waco. The Best Western was convenient and clean, but it was a little shabby in some areas, like repairs or modifications had been made then poorly patched or painted over. These were purely cosmetic though, and in no way detracted from the stay. The pool area seemed nice, though we were there at night to relax outside in the chairs, not for a daytime swim. We didn't eat breakfast there, but I did go down and get some bacon and sausage for an early morning snack. The bacon was best left alone...thin and plastic-like, though the sausage was fine.

« Be Careful Not To Help Drunk Stupid Girls Here »

Well I had been staying at Best Western for about a month in July and I loved it, till one night a drunk girl called me wanting to talk to me. I unplugged my phone and called down to the desk. I told the night clerk to not give my room number to anyone. Five minutes later the desk clerk called up and said there was someone in the lobby for me. It was the girl drunk, after me saying I wanted my privacy. I took the girl to my room to not let her cause problems. But I fell asleep....next morning the desk clerk said I had to leave..I hadn't done anything and she agreed. But I had to go. Why? My house still has not been wired, so I came back tonight. Same desk clerk said that she was told by the owner Mr. Patel to call the police on me. Why? In a month I had caused no problems, spent$3000 and kept my room immaculate. Yet they would call the police. By the way if you stay here learn Spanish once again no English speaking house keeping, rewards are hard to get. And apparently once again a good guest is not appreciated. So far Relax Inn is the Best place to stay in Marlin.

« This Has Been THE Best Place Yet »

In fact I am still here, Because of my problems with my building I have stayed at every motel/hotel here in Marlin.... But this one is my absolute favorite. It cost alot more, but when you add on the hot breakfast, the office center, the rewards program, the staff and the pool... It is well worth it! The lobby is gorgeous, bottled water and FRESH Coffee are 24 hrs a day. There is a nice gym, guest laundry, clean pool, the staff are awesome! You can ask for anything you need 24 hrs aday and they do their best to get it for you! I love Shannon and Olivia, they are always nice even at the end of a long night when you know they are extremely tired. The rooms are clean, I always check under beds when I am visiting in case the last guest have left something that I dont want. and it is as clean there as it is all over the room. The rooms are huge, some have a couch chair combo, some a hottub and some with a nice kitchen the Breakfast is first class! I am a gourmet Chef.....They should hire me as a concerige/room service.lol The only thing I hated is that it is NOT pet friendly. I do dog walking people! As most know I hate to be away from Hooch. So I go thru alot of emotional stress anywhere without him. Call and Book Stop and say Hi... Im still here! Carla Holland-Strange

    « another wonder outing »

I have stayed at the Marlin Best Western before and as always I had a great stay. It is located right off the freeway. There are several good stores located near by such as Walmart. There is a Dairy Queen up the street.
