    « Liability room »

This room should have been taken out of rotation until everything was fixed or before the whole building burn downs. I probably should have changed rooms but I figured I was safe and ready to go to sleep since the breaker tripped and there wasn't anymore power to the room other than the ac unit and bathroom light. They had to know there was a problem before giving me the room because everything was unplugged in the room. The breaker blew once I plugged the alarm in.

    « Guys Golf Weekend »

We come out here once or twice a year for a guys golf weekend and or a family getaway. This last trip was great as usual. Comfortable bed, good food, and GREAT golf. The property looks great and looks like they have done some minor upgrades recently. Always well worth the drive and I always get asked by the guys when we are going back.

    « A Louisiana Gem! »

We love it here!! We live in Natchitoches, 40 miles away, and when we need a mini vacation...this is the first place we think of! LOVE everything about it!! The staff is amazing, I can't think of an accommodation we have ever needed that they couldn't do! Hoping to be back there before lunch today!!

    « Breathtaking »

The most beautiful & relaxing place I have ever stayed. It is a hidden jewel. This place has been kept a secret all these years is all I can say, but that's why it is such a quiet and laid back experience.

    « A Great Hideaway! »

The perfect place to get away! This is a golf resort. I don't play golf but had a great time! There are trails to walk on, a clean fitness center, a nice pool, and areas to " sit in the butterflies" all around the complex. We had a great time visiting the area and the "Tamale Festival" in Zwolle. Will not eat for the next week because there was sooooo much great food!

    « If you haven't been, go »

It's worth the drive! It's very relaxing, a beautiful property unlike anything else in Louisiana. I would compare the hotel itself to the Marriott Grand in Point Clear. Even if you don't golf or have a boat, just go - it's a gorgeous hideaway.

« Out of thew way and worth it »

This may or may not be on or near your destination (unless you are a golfer) but it is worth a little extra travel to get there. The staff are warm and friendly, the beds are very comfortable and housekeeping does an excellent job. If you put the address into your GPS you will wind up about a mile short but just keep driving and you will soon see signs for the property. There was a cut towel sculpture swan to greet us on arrival and each day's return. It is a peaceful and quiet setting among the woods and near the lake.

    « Enjoy your marriage! »

Is the best place to relax and enjoy nature! The hotel was full but you don't feel the crowd. You can enjoy everything! The staff are great. You can enjoy play golf, go fishing, swim, read a book or only seat outside and enjoy the beautiful view!!!!!!

    « Amazing Getaway »

My wife and love getting away and this place was absolutely the best price while delivering a beautiful experience. Grounds are very well kept, rooms are very clean. We had mimosas while rocking in rocking chairs soaking up the morning view with a nice breeze. I had seen other negative reviews and how the food was overpriced...all I can say is you don't get out much. The steak and glazed salmon were off the chart. Highly recommend this place and will visit again and again.

    « A lovely hotel and a wonderful stay »

Cypress Bend is beautiful. The hotel itself and the grounds were lovely and beautifully kempt. Our stay in the Golf Suites was perfect for our family. We had some problems with our reservation, but the staff took great care to make sure everything was as we needed it. We look forward to returning in the future.

    « Quiet Beautiful Place! »

We had a great time for Labor Day weekend! Golf Course was nice, beautiful view with the lake behind. Pool is very small, fitness center is ok. Clean Room and bathroom. Staff very friendly! A/C unit in the room was crazy loud and didn't stop all night. Good Value Hotel! I will sure comeback!

« Good Stay considering other options in the area »

Toledo Bend doesn't have many options for groups but this has been the best one we have stayed in. The suites are a little outdated but served their purpose. The pool needs to cleaning but the greens and the overall atmosphere was great. The cleaning staff on Friday and Saturday were adament that it wasn't their fault our room wasn't cleaned it was a computer glitch. They didn't even bother to come in Saturday to change out the trash they gave me the extra bags to put in the trash cans. Same for the towels. The girl on Sunday was precious she came in and cleaned the entire suite and was so kind. All other staff members were very kind and helpful.

    « Best Stay Ever »

Wonderful experience at this beautiful property. Well worth the drive. Upon arrival you sense that this is a place of relaxation and restoration. The food prepared by Chef Jon and staff is beyond delicious, prepared especially to enjoy and savor, and presented by staff that gets the importance of an enjoyable meal.

« An alright stay but not slept up place »

Stayed one night and man. Asked for a late check out and was told no with all the people checking in they couldn't. I go on web site and can reserve rooms all day long the same we had. People around resort were rude and snobby to my children. They ask one lady a question and she looked at them and walked away (17 year olds not small children) ask politely excuse me and all. A/C hardly worked & fan on patio falling apart just like all the wood rotting away. They need some help getting that place back represent able. Would stay again if it was only choice. Being from the country these people don't know politeness air respect from what I can tell. Food was decent.

« Christmas get away with family »

Resort was very quiet and nice to visit. We stayed in the suite and had the family and friends with us. Was great having it to ourselves and the pool was great to enjoy with it being indoors. Will be going back soon. The price was great also.

    « Magical Wedding Weekend »

Cypress Bend Staff, I wanted to say thank you again for working to make your hotel available to our 200 guests for my daughter's wedding. It was a magically 3 days and it could not have happened without your help. Many of our guests had never been to Louisiana and went away with a love of Toledo Bend and a desire to visit your hotel again. Your staff worked tirelessly to take care of our guests and treated everyone with good old fashion southern hospitality. Our rehearsal brunch was perfect in the social room. Deborah, from the front desk, was our go to girl. She took excellent care of us during all the planning and room scheduling, all the way through to the last day. I know there were issues with some of our guests rooms not being ready on time and delays in the dining room which I would encourage you to improve upon in the future. Thank you again for helping to create a magical wedding weekend. Sincerely, Teresa Hebert

« Not worth the money »

Arrived at 2:30 PM, was told that we could not check in before 3:00 PM, the computers were locked. Ten minutes later, after conveying my displeasure, the computers were unlocked, and a room was found. You may have a policy, but don't lie to me. The rest of our party, approximately 30 people, had to wait, some for over 3 hours, for their room. We have held our bi-annual function here for over 16 years due to the proximity of older relatives. You would think they could get it right by now. Employee shift change is at 3:00 PM which is check-in time. Customers have to wait for this change while ALL COMPUTERS, golf shop, restaurant, service desk, etc. are locked. Really? Shift change at mandatory check- in time? How dumb! When we went to our room, the temperature in the hall was approximately 90° F. The room was cool, but the hall was hot as hell. The food was good, but overpriced. Our group would not stay here for our family reunion except for a 96 year old aunt who lives close by. And please, don't try to make amends with a complimentary round of golf like you have done in the past.

« Memorial Day with family »

Cypress Bend is a beautiful location. The hotel is older, but in a very regal way. We checked in Friday of Memorial Day weekend. One of the big pluses for me was that they are pet friendly. We had about six rooms overall and everyone was on the first floor. You can access your room downstairs from the inside or outside. On the side of the resort with the stupendous views it was a little extra for the patio but oh so worth it. The restaurant is ok. Buffet is good food, nothing spectacular. We had snacks late Saturday night and the burger looked good. Terrence in the dining room took good care of us, brewing me fresh coffee and boxing up our to go orders as well. It was apparent that this weekend was probably their first busy weekend. Once the staff gets into the routine of the busy season the service level will probably step up. And of course I never once received BAD service. It was a great experience and I will go back. Didn't get a chance to try spa when I do I will update.
