Best Western Plus Pinewood Manchester Airport-Wilmslow Hotel

Firstly I would like to say our room was lovely , it was very big , clean and warm. Unfortunately we were kept awake by someone shouting, swearing , banging doors in a room close to ours. It spoilt our stay. I mentioned it to reception the following morning to be told we should of rang reception when it was happening ! Not the best customer service to be honest. Breakfast was disappointing , hot drinks there are now out of a machine which is slow so you wait your turn while your breakfast goes cold as there's only one machine and a lot of guests. Breakfast food was okay but for the price having tinned fruit and not fresh fruit isn't acceptable. Jams are now in small plastic packets not jars. Black pudding was undercooked , beans cold. Very disappointed and unfortunately has changed not for the better. Bobby who works on the bar is very hard working and very helpful and polite.

Absolutely disgusting spoilt the day never again not recommended…weren't asked if we had allergies / dislikes no staff… what a rip off… Soggy sandwiches / cake spoilt my mums birthday treat…woukdnt choose it again..not happy at all…with service..

I had a sizeable room, which was clean. Bathroom was also big enough to move freely. The bed was comfortable. It was quiet, with good internet connection and plenty of parking spaces. There was coffee pods and biscuits which is a nice touch.

We always stay at the Best Western Plus Pinewood Hotel. It's a brilliant location if we need to use their Park and Fly option so we can leave our car here whilst we are away. Their package includes taxi to and from the Airport. The hotel is close to the Motorway and also Handforth Railway station. Their gardens are beautiful to sit in during spring and summer months. There are also local shops and eateries that you can walk to. We often meet our family who all live in that area,

I turned up on Valentine's Day , I know the staff well having stayed here a few times and they lovingly put a little heart of my napkin at my table with my name on it , I don't get thought off and treated this well by my own family hahah . I just love this hotel so much I can't recommend it enough A++++++

Easy check in, free car parking. Staff were polite, helpful and provided excellent customer service. Room was large, quiet and warm, bed was very comfortable. Easy access to airport from hotel. Restaurant was good food and service for evening meal. Would recommend and use again

I booked a family and accessibility room to celebrate my mums birthday. Been here before. The staff are polite, professional and helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy. We enjoyed the free Total Fitness day passes, mum enjoyed swimming, sauna, steam room. Then a good nights sleep with yummy breakfast. What a treat. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend you to treat your loved ones and yourself here, great relaxing mini break. Value for money. Go on you deserve it.

terrible , creaky bed , and floor boards, every time you moved, noisy neighbours shouting in the corridors at 12 am in and out different rooms, no consideration fro other guests , could not wait to leave, so left at 7am.

Staff wonderful to our elderly aunt and uncle who were staying in their 90s. Great hotel that was able to meet their disabled needs. Restaurant food was fantastic! All staff were friendly and helpful. Great location!

The staff are all great, parking is good, nice garden and local facilities are walkable. Breakfast has gone downhill with yoghurts and continental meat options removed. However the hot stuff is really spot on. Rooms are retro but clean and workable. Bathrooms immaculate and are not showing there age.

Happy to stay in this comfortable, friendly and easily accessible hotel. Lots of parking in a safe and secure car park. Friendly staff on reception and in the bar/restaurant. Always happy to go back when I am away on business in Manchester.

Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable. Close location to the airport made our early morning departure easy. The only problem encountered was the food. Our dinner salads were laden with grit. My flatbread brisket entree had spinach sprinkled over it, and the grit from the greens covered everything. Couldn't eat much of anything. The food preparers need to rinse all greens THOROUGHLY before serving. This was the worst meal of our trip.

Stayed over the night before our flight to Turkey and the night we landed. Excellent experience as always. Lovely evening meal and delicious breakfast. Transfers to and from airport are great. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We stayed the night before our flight from Manchester airport. All staff are friendly and efficient. The hotel is clean and the bar food was excellent. It was convenient and great value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the hotel for an evening before flying out to Greece, the check in experience was OK, and the room was OK too, however nothing to write home about. However the food in the restaurant was terrible, we ate from the "a'la carte" and paid £75 for poor fish and chips a falafel burger and a bottle of cheap red wine, after starting with frozen calamari. Mind the bus load for pensioners who were eating from the buffet were treated to chicken nuggets (gujons?), broccoli and chips.....which looked disgusting. Breakfast wasn't much better with everything seeming to be of the lowest quality it was possible to obtain. The staff were pretty much all miserable, and looked as if they didn't want to be there. Back to the Premier Inn, normally a much better experience all round.

The hotel was fine and the room was perfectly adequate. It was a room for a disabled guest which was neither requested nor needed but still comfortable. It was next to the lift and the noise of people using the lift during the night was very disturbing.

Myself and my fiance stayed here for my fiances birthday. Chosen this hotel as we are getting married here next year and wanted to see what it was like. We wasnt disaopointed at all. The hotel is beauitful and very very clean. Beautiful room, we chosen the balcony room and it was lovely to look at the gardens whilst having a chat and chill out. Bed was amazingly comfy! 1000% would stay here again

We had a very enjoyable night . Nice room. Enjoyable food , enjoyed a few drinks in the longe / bar & had a very enjoyable breakfast next morning would definitely be returning to this hotel in the near future

Nice room, clean and a comfy bed. Tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits. Hairdryer and toilettries. Lovely breakfast, lots of choice, various cereals, juice, fruit, pastries and full English. The only downside was we were in room 119 and heard the lift pinging throughout the night/early hours of the morning.

Very easy to find. Good spacious Car Parking. Reception speedy and friendly. Rooms quite modern with adequate tea and coffee making facilities- including tasty biscuit. Bathroom a tad cramped- toilet up against towel rail but water hot and fairly immediate. The shower is in the bath and the downside is the bath is too high to both access and get out. Grab handle not in the best position. The Hotel is near the Airport and I did hear aircraft noise in the early hours. The Hotel has free Wi-Fi which is fine but no internet connection. When I enquired I was given the password for the Conference Wi-Fi Which was ok Good bar and Restaurant with plenty of space. Breakfast was good with everything on offer. The breakfast staff were eager to clear. I got up to get a tea refill and when I returned to my table it had been cleared including my half eaten toast

Perfect place for meeting family and friends when visiting family living in Stockport. Excellent value for money, lovely choices for breakfast, clean comfortable rooms and friendly, helpful staff. What more can you want ?

The whole wedding was a shambles the wedding planner was not in that day . The other staff members had no idea and did not guide our guests.to the complimentary drinks area. All staff were rude and obnoxious . Particularly the woman behind reception when i asked dor a room for my.disabled aunt to be closer to the lift. The manager was another rather small.rude unhelpful man. I would advise against anyone having their special day at this establishment

Stayed prior to flying from the airport the following morning. Free parking for overnight stay (enter your car details on a computer next to reception) and if you book directly with the hotel you can pay for longer term parking as a package including airport drop off/pick up as part of the service. Rooms clean and pretty standard size although some may think a little dated but don't let that put you off as its excellent value for money and about 3 miles from the airport. We never ate in the hotel as the restaurant menu was the same as the bar menu which was slightly disappointing, so we ate at a local greene king pub the Waggon and Horses which was a 10 minute walk away but I wouldn't recommend eating there unless you want cheap but not cheerful! Reception kindly gave us a breakfast to go in a bag that we were checking out before 7am, with a coffee or tea to go, which was appreciated. Be aware the hotel requires prior notice the night before for that order. Would we use again? Yes, although next time I'll leave my car there for the duration of our holiday and use the hotels drop off and pick up service.

Stayed for one night in business. Hotel staff very nice. Parking included and plenty of space, just whether details when you get to reception as it's a pay for parking car park. Restaurant was very good and no complaints there. Room was nice but very warm. Safety latches on window meant you couldn't open it for fresh air other than one inch. There was a fan that didn't help. Bathroom ok too. Would stay again no worries.

We chose this hotel because of its location close to my Brother in Law. It was a good choice. The Staff were excellent and well trained. The food was OK and we dined there each of the five nights we slept in the Hotel. We would thoroughly recommend the Best Western Pinewood Hotel

My family stayed at this lovely hotel on their stay/flight package and it's amazing! Easy hotel to get to, a lovely friendly welcome, nice surroundings and a great price to stay over with parking for the duration of your holiday abroad and transfers to and from Manchester airport. Rooms are dated but clean and comfortable. Highly recommended and will return.

Stayed for one night prior to airport departure. Bedrooms are super clean with everything you need. Quite night sleep and comfortable bed food and beverages good choices. Service by staff excellent . Can highly recommend.

The hotel is in a great location close to the airport, although the taxi the hotel booked for us charged us £25 for the privilege of driving us down the road… Inside, the bar area is quite nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the floor we stayed on was damp and stank. Water was actively pouring through the ceiling. I cannot understand why you'd have guests staying anywhere near this - the place should be closed while it's fixed. We woke up with the sniffles, unsurprisingly, after a terrible night's sleep due to the smell and noise from neighbouring rooms.

The room was fine - a little dated and very few plug sockets- but it was clean, spacious and had everything I needed. I slept ok on the Friday night (although the bed wasn't very firm). Saturday night was a different matter though as there was a wedding downstairs and my room was over the venue where the disco was playing. I could hear the music and DJ till around 2 in the morning. Then there was the constant coming and going of guests with doors slamming and people having long conversations in the corridors. I was here on a course and to then have to undertake work with so little sleep was very challenging. I did fill in the Best Western feedback form but have had no response. My recommendation would be to find out whether they have an event on before you book and definitely ask for a quiet room away from the function rooms.

We looked for a hotel near the airport and the price was so good we loved it. Food was fantastic . Rooms were comfy and clean Staff very friendly. We left at 4 am and it was perfect to get to the airport in 5 mins

We have stayed at the Pinewood for single nights on a few occasions this year. For what we wanted to do the location was ideal. The Hotel was as we would expect, friendly staff, high level of cleanliness, rooms spotless and breakfast excellent.

Christmas is a busy time, The staff were always friendly and speedy.. The location of the Hotel was ideal for friends and family to easily join us for breakfast and Dinner.. Parking was good with facilities for electric cars .

Best hotel we've stayed out prior to flying from Manchester to the Caribbean. Reasonably priced with 15 days parking and shuttle service included. Food is of a very high standard in fact excellent and the service. Rooms very comfy with good facilities- normally never ever sleep the night before a flight - slept like a log here. Really enjoyed the stay and receptionist really helpful and friendly will definitely go back. The only negative point was the over all cost included private transfers to and from the airport - taxi did turn up and collect us on way back but this was not covered by the hotel and I had to pay although I'm sure if a called the hotel they would look to rectify this as we are a party of 8 and will be looking to rebook for next years annual holiday. Don't let this minor point put you off it really was a great stay and really clean too

This was my second stay. Last time was lovely but I missed breakfast -, left at 6.30am Really enjoyed my night before flying from T1. SO QUICK TO GET THERE NOW! Amazing staff There was a function on but it finished exactly when I was told it would

We love this hotel, so this year we booked one of the party night for 14 of us. We all had a fantastic night. Food was amazing and we danced the night away. 7 of us stayed the night, booking 4 rooms. These were a mixture of twins and doubles. The rooms are great value for money and beds are so comfortable. We can't fault anything and the breakfast next money ended a great night's stay. Only issue we had was noise from people above one of the rooms during the night, but that's not the hotels fault.

DO NOT BOOK ON WEEKENDS. Booked for Friday & Sat before a flight Sunday morning. Function on downstairs Friday and two of them on Saturday. Room right above the function room and the DJ pumped tunes to 12pm. Mentioned it on Saturday and were told we couldnt move rooms because there were no more double rooms without upgrading. SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO SELL ROOMS WHEN THERES GOING TO BE MUSOC BLASTING.

Great hotel, great staff, secure car parking and immaculate rooms and housekeeping. There is even a great choice of breakfast fare, all top quality. Things awry when it comes to the restaurant for dinner: terrible menu, silly prices and for most of the main courses you need to pay extra for the vegetables. Starters, including soup, start at £7. To top it all, the only Cider to be had was Magners, which is fine if you like Magners, but who does? So, stop in the hotel by all means, but go elsewhere for your evening meals. PS. This place demands a £30 charge on a card to cover "extras" at check in. I thought that hotels had stopped doing this because they trust their guests to settle up on checking out. Admittedly I only checked out in the afternoon of 1st December, but so far that full £30 charge is still on my card a day later, even though my actual spend on the room was only £3.80.

The staff are lovely but I didn't have a relaxing stay as the fire alarm went off twice in one night, once at 12am, then at 2.45am because someone was smoking/vaping in the toilets. There was also a loud party going on in the function room downstairs, into the small hours. I was on floor 2, so feel sorry for those on floor 1. It's not on, having a loud music disturbing guests past midnight. Lastly, the breakfast is not great and is quite poor quality, or perhaps cooked poorly? How about sourcing local meat & produce?

I was very disappointing to ask for the same thing over and over again. Myself and one more person in our group needed soya milk for health reasons but every time we had to ask. For the first breakfast I had to wait for someone to go and buy some whereas the day before I arrived at 2pm and I asked them for soya milk and they said they have just ran out of it. But the day after I had to wait for it to be purchased and the story continued every morning.

Excellent facilities, decor, services and overall level of professionalism. Tool very comfortable, and staff were extremely helpful and polite. Very impressed and would not hesitate to stay there again.

What a wonderful hotel and literally 10 minutes from Manchester Airport. Check in was very smooth and our room was super comfortable. We decide to eat in the hotel and had a great waitress Taylor who recommended the dishes of the day which we went for . On the whole this hotel is 10/10

We have been looking for a different hotel near the airport and came across The Best Western. We where both pleased with our stay and all the staff are very friendly and professional and the room was spacious and spotless We enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant and Taylor looked after us ,next morning the taxi was there on time as arranged 7 minutes to the Airport and when we arrived home we phoned the Taxi firm and he was there in 5 minutes, Great service

we stay at this hotel before we go on holiday and when we arrive back. All staff very helpful and nothing is too much trouble, very clean hotel and beautiful gardens and plenty of parking to leave your car. Rooms are good and a bit bigger if you upgrade, food excellent in restaurant and fantastic breakfast excellent choice of food. very good rates for park and fly which includes taxi to airport.

We have just stayed at this hotel again just before we go on holiday , The hotel is just outstanding service clean etc it's our 10th anniversary and they just made it so special from the moment we checked in the staff are just absolutely fabulous , would fully recommend this for any occasion , please see attached photo it's the little things that make the difference this was in our room on arrival .

After a long flight home we booked this hotel for 1 night to rest up before onward journey home. We arrived around 11pm and first impressions were good. Staff were on hand with a pleasant friendly welcome and advised how we could get food that late. Check in was quick and easy and lobby with bar was clean and welcoming. We went to our twin room which was clean and very comfortable with everything you could need. Very good night's sleep no noise and felt fully revitalised to face the day ahead. Can't fault this hotel perfect location just 7 minutes drive from airport.

So so happy with the service I received. I can to the pine wood looking for a room to hold a surprise 60th party for my mum. At this point we had been messed around and cancelled on by the last hotel 3 weeks before the party. At this point we were very stressed and didn't think the party would go a head. Hannah was amazing and sorted it out for me, she showed me the rooms and mentioned everything that came with it. We discussed prices and communication was great throughout the whole process. On the night everyone enjoyed themselves, the food was amazing and the venue looked great. I can't thank the pinewood enough for been so quick and helpful, making part happen. Thank you thank you thank you !!

Came from Northern Ireland never been to this area before, staff didn't know the surrounding area and what services were there to help(transport,food etc). Staff was rude at breakfast, tap was broke in room and staff that cleaned the room woken even notice it was broken

This won't be a long review , I've been staying here on and off for years , any hotel that consistently provides a great service this long and without any problems is top class and this one has , I don't really like staying away though I do a lot with work but when I'm Manchester way I look forward to staying here everything is EXCELLENT:)

Excellent stay at the Pinewood Hotel on Wilmslow, very high standards of customer service. We stayed in a double executive room overlooking the garden. Great option of a "grab and go" takeaway breakfast, including freshly made hot rolls. The food here is great both in the restaurant and room service. It is refreshing to stay somewhere with staff that are genuinely helpful.

Substitute hotel as the one I booked decided to refurbish so swimming pool missing aside I had a very enjoyable one nighters and hope my car will still be in one piece and there ready for me to drive home to London.

We use best western hotels a lot, but im sorry to say this is the worst one we have stayed at.... and the reason is the food and how it is cooked and presented. Asked to speek to the chef to explain why (on a technical term) but got the impression they are not concerned on the health implications by not conforming to the correct cooking instructions supplied by the manufacturer... ye the gesture was nice but thats not the answer......... employ grown ups not kids....

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions. We have no issue with the hotel accommodation or the staff. In fact we booked a Superior room which was very large & comfortable. The problem related to the car park; we were very surprised at the shortage of spaces on arrival & on returning from a dinner struggled to find a space. It transpires that this hotel now offers a stay & fly package which resulted in the lack of spaces. We spoke to the team as we wanted to avoid a problem on the second evening & they could only say that some staff finished at 11pm which could free some parking We will not be returning unless the management has resolved this problem

Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good (had in the room). Staff were excellent and food in the restaurant was very good. Only downside was the radiator making slight noises but it did stop.

Noise from extractor fan and radiator made it impossible to sleep which is the whole purpose of a hotel right? The heating wasn't on(no need) and the bathroom light wasn't on. Also, buffet breakfast, fruit was too dry and hot food is under heat lamps for too long

Very good and welcoming staff and everything was clean and tidy, but rooms too small, too hot and too much noise from the corridor and lift going up and down. The whole place would benefit from an update to make it much more light, airy and spacious.

The room we stayed in was a superior room on this trip but we have stayed in a double before both rooms were clean and comfortable . The evening meal in the the restaurant was very good I had the duck main course and would recommend it.

The hotel room I stayed in was an executive, the view was great but the windows were difficult to open and kept closing. I stayed with kids and its extrewmely hot and humid as the bathrooms fan extractor didnt work. The room was swapped but the sheets didnt look like they were done a while ago as you scould smell dust. Despite no air conditioning there are not enough fans to cover the the entire room.

We got married here on saturday and the staff were absolutely amazing they went above and beyond for us! The hotel was absolutely stunning and was everything we ever imagined so thank you so much for our amazing day!

My husband and I stayed here last night as we were attending a wedding at the hotel. Swift efficient check in, our room was extremely spacious & spotless. An iron, fan and hairdryer were provided in the room as well as complimentary toiletries. Considering how busy the hotel was & how close to the main road the hotel is we were surprised how quiet it was-even with the window open all night. We had an excellent nights sleep. All the staff we met were friendly & attentive. The gardens are lovely. We enjoyed our stay here & would recommend. Also only 10 minutes drive from Manchester airport.

I booked a double room for my stay and certainly wasn't disappointed, I could almost get lost in it! It wasn't just the size but the cleanliness was very good and it was obvious that the staff have gone the extra mile to make the room more than just presentable. Although the staff were very nice the service wasn't great. I found it really hard to understand the lady working on reception which meant the directions and instructions that she gave me were misunderstood. The waitress, although very pleasant, didn't know what lagers were on offer (there were only three) and I wasn't notified of the dishes of the day without requesting (although she did for customers after me). The food was very nice and obviously made to order rather than prepped meals that are simply heated up you can sometimes get. To finish on a positive, the personal hand written welcome note in the room was a really nice touch for such a large hotel and very much appreciated!

One nights stay for park and fly. Staff were very helpful and courteous throughout. Organised taxi pick up. All very efficient and trouble free process. Emails prior to arrival were responded to very promptly. Definitely recommend

We stayed here for three nights to visit family nearby. All areas of the hotel were well maintained, clean and tidy. Staff couldn't do enough to help and were polite and friendly. The grounds are beautiful and due to the hot weather we enjoyed relaxing in the many shady areas, there is even a huge sandpit which many children were playing in. The restaurant was always calm and organised at breakfast time: we also ate there one evening and the food was fabulous. We'd highly recommend staying here!

Our welcome at the Pinewood hotel could not have been better. Easy to find and easy to park alongside the pleasant gardens set out with tables and chairs. In the freshly cleaned room we found it nicely decorated and a very comfortable bed. Unfortunately with an early morning flight it was not possible to enjoy the full night sleep! We had dinner in the restaurant before retiring. Good quality food was served but with a limited choice menu.

We stayed last Saturday for a wedding. We were unable to check in until 3.30pm which was way over the check in time. Given that we were staying to attend a wedding there that day we would have expected check in at the actual time or beforehand. Given that we had received an email the night before to check it the hotel would have been well aware that the wedding was taking place so unsure why rooms weren't made available. This in turn made us miss 2 hours of the wedding party as we were not offered anywhere to shower and get changed. Staff very flustered and openly spoke about a member of staff who left earlier than she should have. Then at the end of the night we were charged £25 for two bottles of water which was then resolved after informing staff that it was only 2 waters we had purchased. Room services for two cokes took 40 minutes also. All round a bad experience.

Wilmslow is my home town and halfway between where I now live and family in Southampton. The Pinewood has for several years been the natural place to break out journey. Always immaculately clean with good food, helpful friendly staff and restful gardens. Why would anyone use a hotel at Manchester Airport when this peaceful oasis is so near?

Stayed on return from holiday priced at £135. We originally had a train booked and were staying on our return. I rang the main best western line and explained that if our train were to be cancelled would it be possible to park for the week. The lady then spoke to someone at the hotel and confirmed yes it would be fine and the charge would be £5 per night which would make up the difference of a park and stay package. On arrival we were told this information was wrong and we then had to pay another £90 to park. However, we still had a pleasant stay and would stay again despite the misinformation.

This is probably a good hotel for the airport but also events, we see placed away from potential noise which was great, Room was basic but comfy, great for one night stay before flying. Literally 5 minutes from the airport. Some food options nearby and a Tesco

4 day visit. Not told two weddings and function. Long check in and only one person on desk. Very busy obviously. Be nice to have known as covid on increase. Except reception no one wore masks. Parking very difficult even after 10pm. Room not cleaned first day. Restaurant very good and excellent menu. Veronica on front desk very helpful and organised us late night parking, toiletries and very polite. She runs rings around every one else! Fantastic lady and thankyou. You are an asset to this hotel and hope you are paid well! Thankyou Veronica!

While not a fancy place, it had a very nice "feel" and the restaurant was excellent. Like many places now, they are stretched on staff, but the three people we worked with were great. A very nice place with which to reach MAN airport, but with zero plane noise.

If you plan on staying here before an early morning flight the following day, look elsewhere. A ridiculously loud party going on until the early hours of the morning making it extremely hard to sleep especially considering how thin the walls are. We went downstairs to reception to complain however Veronica at the front desk was extremely rude and unhelpful only offering us apologies and not trying to help at all. If this is the same for all the receptionists they need to focus their training on customer service.

Went downstairs to reception to see if they had any solutions for this, the lady on the desk Veronica was extremely short with us. Offering no solution, only how she had no rooms and no earplugs, we weren't asking for a lot. We were extremely disappointed by this and believe she needs a lesson in customer service and problem solving!

Smart clean hotel in a convenient area. Rooms are lovely. Good restaurant and bar. Very clean hotel. Staff helpful and friendly. Check in and check out staff didn't keep me waiting and were attentive.

The room was very good & spotless. Just what was needed for a 1 night stay. Got lost getting there following the hotels directions & also when we arrived back home in to Terminal 3. The hotels directions said to wait outside the spar store. This we were told moved to Term 1 along time ago so needs updating. Hotel uses Lynx taxis & our driver who picked us up was the star. He parked in the car park & came to find us as he was aware we had 4 pieces of luggage. He helped us with this back to his car. This was very much appreciated & he went beyond what was expected. The taxi company was excellent & after 3 flights home from the US their help was gratefully accepted. Thank you.

Booked as close to airport for an early morning flight and had free overnight parking. Would not recommend. Car parking was a right squeeze, barely managed to find a space. Reception staff were lovely. Given room 411 on check in, avoid this room if possible. Room was absolutely tiny as was the bed, in a very bad state of repair. Mattress was very uncomfortable. Carpets looked and felt older than I am, furniture too. Barely enough room to walk around the bed never mind store suitcases. Bathroom looked decent enough, had a fixed hsad shower and tiny bath. Sealant was peeling off around all edges which is a really quick fix so don't know why they haven't sorted it. Also had a weird bit of wall jutting out over bath that's quite a hazard! Room overlooked some kind of roofing, window only opened a couple of inches before it hit a wall, and was positioned over an ancient desk so hard to reach. Worst part was that the room was SWELTERING. Like, unreasonably hot. I don't know why it was this hot as the radiator was cool to the touch? The staff are obviously aware of this problem as the window had been cracked ahead of our arrival. There was a desk fan in the teeny wardrobe, but this was pretty ineffective as you couldn't open the window enough to get cool air in so it just whooshed hot air around. On top of this, there were only 3 plug sockets in the whole room? Yes this hotel was not expensive but it is definitely not worth what they do charge for it. Would not stay again and would not recommend.

Stayed here twice. It's not quiet. Ground floor window doesn't even have a latch. Can hear every car go by and people speaking outside in the carpark. Very little sound insulation between floors. Reception can do nothing. Tip for staying: DONT. Food was not terrible. Even though they suggested I get a deliveroo instead. When the staff say that you have question their quality.

Stayed at the Best Western this last weekend on an anniversary trip with my wife. Hotel is lovely and clean and the staff are very friendly. Room was spacious and well presented, quite modern and had a great view of the gardens. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept very well. Highly recommend a visit if your looking for a place to stay close by.

The room was clean which is basically what I needed. I chose this hotel because it was fairly close to the airport and Best Western is a known brand. I could not access WiFi from my room for more than 2 seconds at a time. When I reported it to the front desk, nothing was done. I needed it to check in for my flight, which had several steps - complete one portion and wait for a confirming email, proceed to the next step and wait for an email, and so on. I was going back and forth to the lobby all evening, at a time when I needed rest for a long international flight the next day. I realize in the grand scheme of things this is not a major problem. However, it was a major annoyance.

Booked here for parka and stay when going to Italy. Room only as leaving 3.00am. Parking worked well. Room not ready but left overnight bags with Reception while we did bag drop at airport via taxi - quite expensive for a 10 min ride; black cab. More expensive coming back airport to hotel so if repeating would re-order company used by hotel. Park and stay price includes taxi to airport on day of departure and then ring taxi company to collect on return with no further charge. Writing while we are away so haven't finished our experience yet but everything went like clockwork so far and staff were very helpful.

Excellent hotel, very close to Manchester airport about a 5 minute drive away. Clean comfortable rooms and has EV charging which was a godsend after a long drive down to Manchester. I recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again when using Manchester Airport.

Spent two nights here, with a child, Friday night arrived v late and hotel quiet, room very pleasant and breakfast perfectly ok. Saturday night was a completely different experience. Two functions happening, zero sound proofing between the function rooms and the bedrooms on the first floor. I imagine it was a little like paying to sleep on the pavement on Canal Street at kicking out time from 10pm to 1am. We could hear every word of every song, every DJ comment, guests screaming and shouting inside and outside our window, and then running up and down corridors slamming doors until the early hours. According to staff they have sound limiters that cut the music off when it reaches the legal limit, proudly told me at 10pm it had already shut off twice, not sure boasting that the DJ was pushing the volume as far as possible over and over was a great response to our question as to whether there was any chance of getting some sleep that night. Also galling that they told us they call guests to warn them in advance, but only if you book direct. Apparently it's too hard to contact guests who book through any other system, although amazingly they managed to contact me three times to offer a paid upgrade and responded within hours to my note that we would be checking in late. We didn't need to leave until 10am, so managed to sleep from 1am to 8am, I feel incredibly sorry for guests who had an early flight on Saturday and had to listen to the incredible noise until 1am before rising early for flights. Advice…. Call before booking, if there are any events happening go somewhere else, if no events at all then a perfectly fine place to stay.

We stayed for three nights over a busy Easter weekend, to spend time with our daughter, son-in-law and new grandson, having travelled 220 miles to see them. Great quality breakfast, with excellent service. Our room was perfectly clean and well appointed, but a continuous mechanical droning noise caused disturbance - when we reported this, we were moved without fuss or drama to another room. We enjoyed our stay, despite the move, and would stay again. Thank you to all the lovely people at BWP Wilmslow, especially the chap who moved us at silly o'clock!

Great all around hotel, great service and facilities, would highly recommend. Free car parking, executive room was in great condition and had everything needed. Breakfast and evening meal was great. We also had 12 people for afternoon tea and was delicious. Will definitely be back!!!!

Best Hotel if you are travelling from Manchester Airport or for a great base from which to explore Manchester and the surrounding area. 5 minutes from the airport and all motorways and the staff, rooms, food and quality cannot be faulted.

I stayed for one night at this hotel and was really impressed by the staff who were, without exception, really helpful and friendly. I had a single room and although the room was quite small, it was spotlessly clean and very well equipped and the bathroom was spacious. Nice breakfast too!

We held my husbands 60th birthday meal at The Pinewood, so where do I start? The team were amazing from the arranging of the evening to second we left the following morning. Nothing was too much trouble. The best customer service I have personally experienced in a long time. The food was lovely and all our guests complimented the food. We hired a room, for our party which was dressed perfectly with white linen tablecloths and romantic candles. Our bedroom was spacious and clean and the breakfast was fab with lots of hot and cold choices. I would highly recommend this hotel for its staff, food and accommodation. Thank you again for making our evening go smoothly and enjoyably.

This hotel was very good. Easy to get to, clean and tidy, with good amenities. It was well priced with no additional car parking charges. The menu was limited in choice, but it was very good and not expensive. The only issue was that we had to leave before breakfast started. But to be fair not many hotels start breakfast at 4:30am.

Groupon bed breakfast and evening meal deal.Well worth the money, lovely staff, great food, plenty of choice and clean modern room. We were given the choice of room up grade which we did and had a balcony executive room, nice added extras of coffee machine, toiletries and dressing gowns.Will definitely return.

I was given the task of organising parking for two large vehicles and 4 hotel rooms for 3 nights , On the Thursday i booked all rooms, i laid out my needs and wasn't met with one issue at all, on the Sunday i was feeling a bit anxious as this needed to go well so i rang the hotel and enquired about the stay coming up on Monday , the cones had already been put out ready for the large vehicles and the rooms had all been sorted with all of the rooms upgraded as i stay with best western a lot . The whole process was worry free, as was checking in and this whole business trip has got off to a great start al thanks to the hotel and its staff . Genuinely cant sing the praises for this hotel enough best ‘best' western ever !!

I took mum and family for a mini break. All had a brilliant time. Hotel, rooms etc were very clean and tidy. Fab accessibility for our disabled. Staff were polite and professional. Breakfast was yummy. Great day pass for Total Fitness.

We had the most enjoyable stay at the Best Western PLUS Pinewood in Handforth. It is just perfect for visiting my parents who live a short 5 minute walk from the hotel. Reception staff are welcoming and friendly, restaurant is spacious, relaxing and food excellent and staff friendly and efficient. Bar is well stocked, and staff friendly and helpful. Room is clean, beds very comfortable and room has all you need including a fantastic shower. Housekeeping did a perfect job making up our room during our stay. We will definitely be staying here again.

Just returned from a weekend in handforth visiting family and staying in the pinewood. 5 of us in total and we had 2 Rooms which were comfortable and clean with a shower you could spend all day in. Food was fabulous from breakfast through lunch and dinner. A decent selection of food to choose from but not so much that you feel like there is still some creative effort in each dish. But the standout for me was the staff who all represented the hotel with generosity, flexibility, personality,passion and pride. To list the folk I had a personal encounter with, housekeeping, restaurant managers, servers, bar staff and reception. What a great team. And afterall, the people are the hardest thing to get right and when away from home it is the people you encounter that make a place warm and friendly even if all the rest is top notch too.

The hotel is basic but very clean and ideal for a short stay. Extremely good value for money for an outer London hotel. There is on site parking too for £10 per night. The only issue in my room was that the electrical sockets did not work but I didnt need to use them and actually forgot to mention the issue when I checked out. The reception staff were very efficient.

Extremely noisy throughout the whole night. Walls are so thin you can literally hear every word from the adjoining rooms. Plug sockets are on the opposite side of the room to the mirrors so impossible to dry your hair unless you stretch the lead into the bathroom (not advisable). No plug sockets near the bedside table so unable to charge phones. Rooms are tired and not the cleanest.

We stayed at the hotel 2 nights. One night before departure to Cape Verde from Manchester Airport and we decided to book a night last minute for when we returned late from Manchester Airport. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only issue that we had is that we had booked the Park & Fly Package and on the morning that we were dropped at the airport the taxi firm insisted that we pay him even though the hotel had paid the taxi charge. As we had a flight to catch we just paid the man and asked for a receipt so we could inform the hotel. When picked up for our return flight the man who picked us up did not charge us. When we returned to the hotel for our second stay we advised the man at reception who advised us to take it up in the morning with the manager. As a good will gesture the hotel gave us free sandwiches which we were grateful for as we needed some food before bed. In the morning the hotel manager refunded us £15 which was the cost of the taxi on the way to the airport. Brilliant customer service and very apologetic. We were also advised that this isn't the first time that the taxi company has done this, to which we said it wasn't their fault but the taxi firm were to blame. The staff however acted brilliantly and were very apologetic.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel with my family. The rooms were clean and spacious lovely coffee machine and drinks. The food was delicious. Staff so friendly. I will definitely recommend and definitely I'm returning

We bought a Groupon Deal for our first proper night away since we had our daughter. We had a perfectly nice stay, dinner and breakfast was included and the food was fine, very decent choice for the Money we paid. Our room was satisfactory, had everything we needed but was in need of a refurb. I know many rooms have already been refurbished but ours was a little tired. The bathroom in particular was ready for a refit. We stayed in an executive room which had a big bed and a coffee machine. There was hot chocolate in the room too which is always a little treat. We were above the function room which you could hear but it didn't go on too late, and as parents to a toddler with a rare night off we slept deeply!

Our third attempt at securing a venue for our wedding reception on 29th December and we couldn't have asked for a better place! Staff went above and beyond and all the stress was taken out of our hands. The bridal suite was huge and amazing and we most enjoyed our second night for relaxing and enjoying room service! Food was brilliant and all the guests thought so too.

This hotel is so overpriced and outdated unless you pay the high prices for the upgraded rooms but bear in mind you are then over the function rooms so they are very noisy! Rooms are cold and very drafty in the old part, no heaters available and nobody was bothered. Towels and bedding are worn and have holes. The weekend I stopped there was a big brawl at a wedding and at 11pm three police vans arrived- not what you want when away for the night! Food is all fried, fish smelt terrible. Don't waste your money on this hotel

After a tiring drive in the dark the bright Best Western lights of the hotel were a welcome sight. A cheery and airy Reception and lively bar/restaurant area with friendly and happy staff greeted our arrival. We were quickly checked in and directed to our spacious, spotlessly clean and well furnished room. The restaurant offered a wide ranging menu; the food was tasty, freshly cooked and well presented and friendly and attentive staff were on hand at all times. The breakfast buffet was equally impressive. In summary. For a splendid break in a caring and welcoming hotel, where value for money is given the highest priority, the Best Western Pinewood Hotel is a sure winner.

This hotel is way below standard of a 4 star hotel, our first night we pulled back the bedsheets to discover hair all over the bed, the deputy manager came up and changed straight away but I would not expect this at the apparent standard of a 4 star, first night was noisy, wedding was on which is not really highlighted on the website. We had dinner on our first night which was documented as alcarte- it was not- chips were frozen, with some actually still hard and cold in the middle. Breakfast - good choice but again food was cold, we were served cold coffee and the eggs were undercooked. Night two was by far the worst a wedding that was on had the music on so loud the whole room vibrated for hours, I called down to reception several times and spoke to another manager who did absolutely nothing, I also spoke to a staff member called Lesley who was patronising and put the phone down, when I called back to ask why she had put the phone down I was told to get on with it as it was a wedding so basically it wasn't her problem we couldn't sleep. Lucky for us it was only a weekend away so the 3 hours sleep we got over 2 nights wasn't much of issue, however if I was flying the next day I would of been absolutely disgusted with the lack of care for guests that weren't at the weddings!! Part of the hotel was actually blocked off and not able to be used during the day due to one of the weddings also so no consideration for other guests. The hotel is not worth the money or the 4 stars it's been given! Avoid at all costs unless you want to rave into the night with the wedding guests!!

Stayed here to celebrate my sister in law's 60th birthday, the first time our family has been able to get together since before Covid. We had the most wonderful time. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable, the food outstanding but most of all the staff - they could not do enough for us - even had the chef helping us put up birthday balloons! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We are a big family who live all around the country. We decided to celebrate my Auntie's 60th Birthday at the Pinewood (we all also stayed overnight). The staff and manager could not do enough. Helping us decorate, accommodating our every request and ensuring we had a good time. The rooms were very clean and food was delicious. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for a great stay.

So as the title eluded, I've been coming here for 10 years because it's simply one of the best hotels I've stayed in . The staff are exceptional & the food is excellent :) very very happy and have never been let down once.

Room was alright but pre paid taxi service was crap waited 45 minutes and it cost £39 return. Don't book it as it's rather annoying. Not the taxi driver's fault but the hotel need to be keeping a check on this. Also why did I get eight YES EIGHT emails about my stay?!!!

We stayed here while our grandson was getting married at nearby Styal Lodge. My wife was arranging the flowers and because we come from Nottingham, she asked if she could prepare them in our room. The hotel could not have been more helpful, including providing a cool store room for their overnight storage. And the rest of our stay was equally good - lovely large and well-equipped room, excellent evening meal and breakfasts - the sausage and bacon were especially delicious. And without exception, the staff were helpful and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend it! Rick in the restaurant was especially helpful.

Customer service was amazing, food was surprisingly great considering I got room service. There was so many options and it was delish. Room was a great size for the price and was well set up. Shower was really good which I find rare at most stays away. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff.

This was a pleasant place for a weekend. The food was tasty, and the staff were friendly - there were several girls there who really went out of their way to make us comfortable, especially Kathleen, and they created a very welcoming atmosphere.

The accommodation is acceptable but nothing special. The rooms are clean but a bit dated. The bathroom is functional. I don't like the use of a shower curtain that sticks to you in the shower and the bath is quite high to climb into. The toiletries provided are nice. Breakfast was good, service could be improved. The one bonus is having use of an electric car charging point.

The room which was an executive double was quite outdated looking and did not reflect value for the price, you could get a similar room at a big standard travel lodge for less than half the cost the staff however were very pleasant , on the way to check out the lift was also out of order

Staff were compassionate, courteous, polite and over all went above and beyond to help me in a desperate situation, when another hotel refused to allow me to stay despite having a paid booking. The staff were helpful, put my mind at ease and made sure I had all I needed. They made me feel safe and valued. Excellent, above and beyond customer service. All staff were friendly and helpful.

This was a very quick overnight while visiting relatives and we arrived late and left early so can't comment on much. However the staff were friendly, the room spacious and very comfortable so we look forward to returning and seeing more of what the hotel has to offer.

As a disabled guest you expect the lift to work , at best it was hit and miss. Not much use to me The booking was made and payed for six days prior .at £135 I had to leave my Debit card details on booking in . At this time we were told by the receptionist that we were not being charged for anything. But it was for if we incurred any extras that were chargeable . Checking the transaction receipt I discovered we had been charged £155 in addition to the first charge. It was replaced back on my card with the excuse .” It was a replacement on duty” All in all not the best experience we have had . Luckily we spotted the “overcharge” You have done better on the past !!! Slipping standards ?

Great hotel with clean rooms. Decor dated, and needed more electrical sockets near the beds, but everything else was spot on. Very friendly experienced staff. There was a lovely wedding going on but the noise was barely audible. Plenty of parking but don't park near trees. Had to wash the birds mess off my car. Not a pleasant experience

Booked a Groupon deal for me and my sister to celebrate her 70th birthday. Made to feel very welcome on arrival and after a slight mix up of our room we entered our allocated room to find balloons, banners, cake platter and a birthday card which my sister very happy. I cannot thank the staff enough for making our overnight stay so memorable. Our evening meal was a delight and we were very happy with our choice even if the set-menu for our Groupon deal was limited, we were very satisfied. Breakfast was excellent - continental and hot buffet with very good quality ingredients. The strawberry/banana smoothie was delicious and not often found on a hotel breakfast menu. We were very impressed with the whole visit from start to finish. Very friendly and polite staff, extremely clean bedroom/bathroom and excellent food/service. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

I booked this hotel as I was attending a wedding. I can't remember the price, I think it was £68 it was well worth it. The room I had was a double and it was very spacious and the price included breakfast. The breakfast had a continental and a full English. The continental was very surprising as it usually some cereal and a bowl of fruit but here they had cured meats, some cheese and a variety of fruit and fruit juices. The full English was a good spread as well, it was self serve but usually with these things it's some horrible looking sausages, scraggly bacon, beans and watery scrambled egg. Here they had the full works, black pudding fried eggs, nice sausages and bacon, tomatoes beans. It was a really good breakfast! The staff were very very friendly from the receptionist, to the people helping with breakfast to even the housekeeping staff. I would deffinately stay here again and reccomend this hotel.

This is a fantastic hotel with amazing staff that are friendly, professional and go the extra mile. Having worked in hospitality previously, I'm rather fussy. I was welcomed late in the evening by Jess, who is a credit to the team. Wonderfully polite and helpful, I saw her several times throughout my stay where she dispensed extra coffee, plasters and smiles throughout my stay. Upon opening the door to my room, I was very impressed with the cleanliness and amenities, which included the normal tea and coffee, a coffee machine and most importantly, a fan located in the wardrobe. The room was gorgeous and I had a wonderful night's sleep. The only criticism I would give is there wasn't a bath in my room, but the shower was lovely and warm. Note my room was upgraded from my original booking. I also made a special request when booking, and this hotel did not disappoint - see pictures for my framed photo of Spock ♥ Simon, the handyman/gardener was also lovely, stopping to have a chat (which means a lot when you're traveling alone) in the beautiful gardens. I spent rather a lot of time there in the peace and quiet reading, the roses are rather lovely. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and I slept soundly all night. I'm staying in Manchester City centre this evening and while the hotel is perfectly adequate it's nothing compared to the personal service and attention to detail I had here. Nothing is too much trouble and should I be returning to Manchester I will be staying here again.

The food options in the restaurant are great and all the food I've eaten were really tasty. The rooms are very clean and up to date.the pillows andthe bed are comfortable. the tea coffee and biscuits are ample.

The room was large enough, clean and well equipped; tea and coffee etc. Good bathroom. The restaurant served a good meal, although the service was slow. Free parking and free WiFi. Breakfast was excellent; a good choice of food. Friendly staff.

Stayed for 1 night as a stop over between destinations, I was unsure due to the reviews but gave this hotel a try. Plus point was the free parking and located close enough to a supermarket/ food establishments. The staff were friendly and check in was easy enough. The room was an okay size but very dated which for me instantly makes me think the place is unclean, the bathroom was small and uninviting, we did not use the bath or shower as it just did not look pleasant. The hotel was just okay and I would not stay again but no issues overall

We recently had our wedding here, due to Covid we had to change our date 4 times and I can honestly Say the staff were amazing and made us feel at ease each time it had to be changed. A big shout out to Kathy, Katherine and Gabor. Gabor helped run our day, from the night before the wedding he was very reassuring calming my wedding nerves and ensured our wedding day went to plan. The food was amazing, the rooms were spotless and the service was faultless!! I would recommend anyone to get married at the Pinewood Hotel.

Booked this for a short break with my kids. £ 300 for b&b for four nights seemed reasonable, and since it's a four-star hotel I thought I couldn't go wrong. Check-in online was straightforward and it was easy enough to find our room, kind of wish we hadn't. Dirty walls, stains on the chairs, a shower unit that was easily from the 1990s... I don't know how often the family rooms are used, but ours was in desperate need of an update. Breakfast wasn't much better. I'm aware that this could be classed as an airport hotel, but not all the guests are looking to get away early of a morning. On all the days we made it downstairs before the end of service, but I got the distinct feeling that everything was too much trouble for the staff. The service got worse as the week went on, culminating in us being told to 'find a table' as opposed to being shown to one, which I'd have been happy to do if they didn't all have used cutlery and crockery on them. The final straw came when I was served undercooked chicken on the last night. The meal was refunded, but I did start to wonder how the hotel managed to receive a rosette. I had booked the hotel so my children could play on the man-made beach, which remained closed due to the poor weather during our stay, which was fair enough. My eldest and I laughed off the irony of seeing it open as we were leaving! A hilarious ending to an awful stay. We'll not be returning. Top tip: If you're not a gym regular but are looking to use the fitness centre the hotel has a link with, take a padlock.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my family and was expecting so much more from reading the reviews. Stayed whilst there was a wedding at the hotel and they pretty much took over the hotel. The doors to the rooms cannot be shut quietly so you hear every door in your corridor opening and closing. Certainly wouldn't recommended this hotel for a restful break. Rooms are very dated and small. Room wasn't ready on arrival and receptionist tried overcharging us compared to rate advertised.

We booked this hotel for 2 nights for a work event and very much regret it! They cancelled one room of our booking and resold it, so when our coworker arrived she was left stranded as there were no other rooms available in the hotel. We had told the receptionist she can't make the first night when we arrived but she will be here in the morning, she said that was no problem at all she'll make a note of it. However they instead resold the room without contacting us at all. It was an eventful week in town and all other hotels were booked up- we ended up having to book our colleague in a motorway stop off hotel 40 minutes from us!! They were not apologetic and offered no form of compensation at all, we were stuck paying for an even more expensive last minute booking at the other hotel and a taxi for 40mins- absolutely disgusting customer service. If you do end up here, make sure youre not on the side where the garden is as you end up with the pub people out there being noisy until late! Do not recommend at all.

Had another brilliant overnight stay here. The staff are so friendly nothing is too much trouble for them. Rooms are always very clean. We had lunch and sat outside in the lovely grounds. In the evening we ate in the onsite restaurant. The food was amazing!!! We have been here lots of times and we have never been disappointed in our stay. Love the place!

Booked this hotel for its proximity to Peak District and to trial it for future airport hotel stays. Despite being very close to Manchester airport and on a busy road, the hotel and its very attractive grounds did not appear to suffer from a lot of noise. The food at the hotel was of an excellent quality and very well presented, staff were friendly and the rooms were satisfactory, albeit on the warm side. We will definitely be returning

My best friend got married here this sat wow the staff really did qo above and beyond Simon general assistant was by far the best!!! Very polite and friendly anything I needed as I was best lady to groom he couldn't of been more helpful it's lovely to stay at hotel and for a member of staff go above and beyond his job role!!! Really was a pleasure to meet him not to mention the head house keep obviously being best lady I had jobs that I needed to do and she was on had all day if I needed more towels for hairdresser and makeup artist and the decoration of suit was a nice touch!!! Monica who also organised the wedding was fab we had a slight change to colours of tables and we asked her to just cross it out on seating plan but she re printed it for us just fab!!! And the general manage Rob!!! What can I say iv never meet a general manager who actually gets his hands dirty normally they are sat in an office and only come out if needed but u can see he truly values his staff!!! And not scared to get his hands dirty overall u guys are amazing can't wait to visit again and would highly recommend for weddings they go above and beyond!!!

Despite booking our stay months in advance, we were unfortunately given a room (115) directly above the function room. There was a large wedding party so the noise continued until the music stopped at midnight and shouting/door banging continued till 1am. Honestly though the dj was in our room it was so loud! Young daughter was very distressed, despite ringing reception we couldn't move rooms as they were full and we couldn't fit into a nearby hotel as they were also full. I love a good wedding as much as the next person, but this was a huge oversight by the hotel to put a young family in this room knowing that a function was booked. Received a full refund in the morning.

Although based on quite a busy road you didn't really notice. The garden was lovely to sit in with a lovely atmosphere in the evening, whilst in the morning it provided a very chilled start to the day. The food was very nice. We had the sharing platters which were scrummy. Staff are stretched though - as in most hospitality sectors at the moment.

Arrived home on Saturday 24/07/21, after an excellent 3 night stay here. I was with 2 friends and we all felt the same. From the moment we arrived until we left we were given 5 star service. I was in room 319 (accessible) - perfect! The food and service was excellent, lovely choice on menus. Special mention to Rick - bar, Charlotte - reception, and there was a young lady waitress that was working Friday morning who always went the extra mile. She has long tied back blonde hair, sorry didn't get her name. If I am in the area for an event again I will definitely book to stay, in fact I would return anytime. Thank you all.

I'm sorry to say that when you arrive at the hotel and see the lobby and dining area and beautiful gardens you think your room will be the same. We booked a family room which was literally a room crammed with a travel cot and 4 beds. Heat in the room was unbearable for the young children. Mouldy chips on the floor when we arrived in the room and mould in the bathroom. The room was so outdated, carpet looks like it needed shampooed and not worth the money we paid at all. Very disappointed and won't be choosing best western again.

Me and my partner went over Friday evening to stay for 1 night with a 3 course meal and breakfast included in our package deal. We arrived and dropped our bags off in our room and went down to their beer garden for a drink, our room overlooked the beer garden - it was sunny, beautiful and had a great atmosphere. Upon arrival the card situation was a little strange, we'd swiped a card for our room but it was never connected when we went to use the tab for drinks, so we had to go back to reception to fix this. The meal was lovely and the food was great, although one of the servers did spill a tonic all down me and I was offered nothing to fix this except sitting in wet clothes. The room was clean and tidy upon arrival, they have really lovely rooms with great decor and modern bathrooms. We were not advised when to leave our rooms nor was anything mentioned in the letter we were given, but we were ready to leave already in the morning when the cleaning lady came to do the room. A very good stay, just a few minor things here and there but other than that it was great!

Great value for money. Excellent facilities for a family stay, the family room was one of the best we have stayed in! attentive staff, delicious good quality food. Would definately recommend and will return next time we plan a stay in Cheshire

We stayed here for two nights in July. Very impressed with the hotel for the price we paid. Lovely staff, great room (we overlooked the garden), great breakfast. Very clean and good amenities. The only negative was the temperate of the room - very hot. It wasn't overly warm weather so we couldn't understand why it was so warm, but there was a fan in there that helped a bit.

Hi, we had our Wedding at the Pinewood on Friday 02.07.2021 and was lucky with the weather to have the ceremony outside under the gazebo it's was amazing we couldn't of asked for a more perfect day fhe weather was glorious and the whole pinewood team were outstanding and fantastic throughout our planing and they pulled out all the stops on the day so professional team of people, Kathryn Harding amazing wedding planner nothing was any trouble to sort for us Kenny and Monica along with everybody else were amazing on our special day and the food was fabulous throughout. A lovely afternoon tea sat outside on the lawned area in the sun. Crustless sandwiches, tiny cakes and a scone with jam & clotted cream, lovely. A couple of glasses of Prosecco just topped it off. Very friendly and eager to please. Would go again. Only negative - smokers by the front door. Not nice to walk through, either on entering, or leaving after such lovely food. Spoilt it sadly, but not enough to not go again. Did report to man on the bar, but will it be addressed? Not sure, he wasn't overly bothered but was polite and thanked me.

Lovely friendly hotel, especially Charlotte at the front desk. Swift check in/out, nothing was too much trouble. Also the chambermaids were amazing. We spent one night here and we were so impressed with the friendly staff,beautiful gardens and a very nice bedroom with lovely bathroom. We had a meal in the hotel which was outstanding and breakfast was very good too. Can't wait to return again.

Booked for work and didn't expect much, but wow, will be returning for a break and bringing my family. Beautiful gardens, good breakfast, clean rooms and brilliant staff. I honestly can't recommend this hotel enough. Close to Tatton Park and Manchester City centre good base for days out exploring. The staff are the Standout features. Monica, Charlotte, Jess and Will, never make you feel rushed always had time to talk, they make the hotel one of the warmest places I have ever stayed

Lovely place to stay . Executive room has a view of the garden. Staff were excellent! Dinner enjoyable and a nice selection. Breakfast table service ( due to covid) Everything from full English to omelettes cereals etc Pretty garden with lots of seating , lounge available to watch football if that's your thing . Very clean . Recommended :-)

We are never disappointed, If you are used to a Premier Inn this is the same level hotel but better. Nothing negative, it was what we expected, a comfortable night. Covid restrictions limit some aspects of our stay, but that was to be expected.

Fantastic place lovely friendly staff. Jess on the front desk greets you with a warm smile and just in general a lovely person. Also Simon who looks like he does hotel maintenance was really lovely and loved a chat. Nice clean room comfortable bed what more could you want. The venue was magnificent. The food was gorgeous. The room and the hotel was clean and tidy. The beds were really comfy. In the room they provided a hair dryer, a fan, extra towels and more! The garden was lovely.

Recently had our wedding here and the hotel and staff were amazing! Didn't feel like a covid wedding at all. Staff were so welcoming and friendly and was there super quick for table service. Kathryn the events manager was absolutely amazing and so accommodating, she couldn't do enough for us and our wedding (and I was literally a pain!). We made so many changes due to covid restrictions and Kathryn was there to support us through it all. Our whole stay went smoothly with help from Kenny and Monica, who managed our wedding reception and breakfast the morning after. The hotel was perfect for our children as there was a huge sandpit area with sun loungers outside. We enjoyed breakfast outside in the gardens with all our family and guests the day after and it was just perfect! Can't recommend this hotel enough!

The outdoor area/garden was great, the sandpit was great for the children and it exceeded my expectations . The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff were amazing, they went over and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as can be. That bar staff were friendly and great and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Despite a busy bank holiday weekend, our wedding was absolutely faultless! Thank you to Kenny, Monica, Kathryn and the team for looking after us and making our day extra special. Delicious food, amazing service and we'll definitely be back! Our overnight stay was peaceful and relaxing and the team went out of their way to decorate the room for our arrival. There were plenty of different options for breakfast and ours came hot and on time. We couldn't have asked for more!

First and last stay at the best western. Loud noise of music kept us up at night. 1 hour wait for breakfast and was not worth eating. Had a hair in my egg. Waiters were rushed off their feet and service was unacceptable. I would never stay in this hotel again.

We had my elderly neighbours wake here last week and everything was beyond expectations. We had 11 of us in our party in the end including 2 vegans. We had afternoon tea served in the marquee in the gardens and there was plenty to go around. The two vegans (who usually have low expectations when dining anywhere) were blown away with the standard of their offerings. After a solemn occasion, this was the perfect location for family and friends to reflect and refresh. Ric, Alex and Serena and Harry all on hand to help and kept the tea and coffees flowing. Thank you again.

Made a booking and cancelled within hours due to cover restrictions. The hotel would not refund money paid, atrocious manner on the phone. Desperate, dreadful behaviour from a low rate hotel. Be very careful when booking with this company.

The hotel is nicely situated in Wilmslow area. A waling distance to the small parade of shops. A large car park. Checking in and out was swift. Staff are very good and helpful. Breakfast set up and items were good. Harry at the Bar and at breakfast is very helpful. I got a take away from the Chinese shop near the chicken place. Very good. Room was a decent size and decor was good. I could not work out the air condition system but I thinks it was just me. Enjoyed my 2 day stay alot. Will definitely stay at the hotel again. Would recommend it.

Very pleasant hotel, extremely friendly and efficient staff. Room nice and clean, comfortable bed. Breakfast was disappointing. Not hot and overcooked. Soggy, cold toast. Restaurant food very nice but overly expensive, veg as extras at £3.50 per item ridiculous.

Lovely spacious room in pristine condition. The shower works like a dream! The staff were all lovely and helpful. We were shocked at how good the food was when it arrived as the prices on the menu weren't bad at all. I would recommend trying the salmon starter with quinoa and wasabi, what a treat and at only £7.50. Caesar salad also delicious. Hats off to the chef. Breakfast was great too. Highly recommended.

Quite simply the best place we have stayed for a long long time - the staff, the accomodation and the food are exceptional. It has become as much a talking point to friends and family as the visits we made.

Took my 91year old mother in law here for her birthday.The hotel is mobility friendly with a ramp at the front of the hotel and disabled parking. The dining area is contempory with views of lovely garden areas via patio doors. The staff were attentive and pleasant. The food was really nice. Mixed sandwiches, assorted cakes and scones with jam and clotted cream served with tea or coffee. Water on the table is complimentary. A great experience for an elderly lady.

Cant say enough great words about this hotel. Tge friendly staff, cleanliness and freshness of the room, and cheaper to stay there and leave your car for 2 weeks and stay overnight twice than use Manchester Airport parking. You can leave your car in reliable hands, and get transport to the airport included. The main reason for the 5 stars is that we arrived back from Florida after being awake for over 36 hours, and check in time was 2 o'clock, and we were tired to say the least. I explained this to the reception staff and they hurried the cleaning staff to prioritise the room and get us in there as quick as possible. By half ten our room was available and we got some much needed sleep, thank you .

We only stayed here for 2 nights, prior to and on return from holiday, flying from Manchester Airport. It was the first time also for using a Best Western. All we can say is if this is what the Best Western hotels are like, we are converts. I booked this initially due to the very competitive cost which included 2 weeks parking and taxi transfers. I was initially wary because it seemed really cheap and I wondered what I would get. I could not have been more wrong. The hotel was modern and clean but also homely and welcoming. It is set in nice grounds and about 20 minute transfer from hotel. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. They went that extra mile in ensuring that flowers, card, balloons, cakes were in the room for our return from holiday to celebrate my wife's birthday. The breakfasts were very good standard and always warm. The dinner in the restaurant was also very good. Overall a very good option to stay even if it is for the airport run. Extremely good value and the staff are a credit to the hotel and organisation

This is a ‘Very Good' hotel, but I have decided to give the full 5 stars since we didn't actually come across any issues and felt the value for money was excellent. We booked a sleep park and fly package (we couldn't find a premier inn cheap enough and has forgotten to book airport parking) A room on Saturday evening, parking at the hotel for a week, and taxi transfers to the airport and back - £116, completely faultless, and far far cheaper than booking airport parking and a nearly hotel, particularly on a Saturday evening. Hotel has ample parking round the back. This whole process was so efficient, form filled out at reception for the time the taxi was to be booked for, kept up to date via text message and taxi waiting outside at the exact time requested. The hotel is 4*, and deserves just that, it is set in some really nice gardens just off a main road, but quiet enough to enjoy the ambiance. The staff were helpful and friendly but didn't doing anything outstanding - again, good enough for us. The room was spacious with some nice extras, docking station, coffee machine etc. A large TV with good range of channels, hairdryer, ironing board, iron, all the usual stuff. Bathroom had a shower but no bath, and the room looked out into the nice gardens. The bed was extremely comfortable, one of the best we've slept in this year. The room was spotlessly clean too. Negatives - few and minor - A wedding was ongoing at the same time we were there, and as others have said in their reviews, it's SO SO LOUD. People out in the gardens ALL NIGHT and still noisy in the reception area at 4am when we went to get in the taxi. This was a wedding reception so this can be forgiven, but perhaps the guests should not be allowed outside at such hours making so much noise. - No Air Con. It wasn't a particularly warm night, but the room was absolutely boiling, we had the window open which helped slightly, but it was too loud. There was a fan in the wardrobe which we thought would save us, but after turning it on I thought I was sat under an aeroplane engine it was so loud, even on the lowest setting - so that went back in the wardrobe. Overall, a great stay - may come back

I stayed at the Pinewood when in the area on business primarily because they were running bed and breakfast offer which represented the best deal available in the area when adding in the benefit of free parking. I have stayed on previous occasions when a similar offer has been available. The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Handforth which offers some good restaurants if you are staying for several nights and fancy a change from the hotel fare The car park is large and there are always spaces available though if you arrive later in the evening they may not be close to reception. On the plus side if you arrive early and the weather is good then you can relax in the garden area. Check in staff were efficient and friendly and completed the formalities with the minimum of fuss. My room was nicely furnished and nicely presented though space was limited between the foot of the bed and the wall mounted television. There was no air conditioning in the room which could have been an issue had the weather been hotter Tea and coffee was available with enough supplies for several cups. The bathroom was spotless with reasonable lighting over the mirror. Toiletries were provided and were of a reasonable standard The bed was large and very comfortable and enjoyed a very good nights sleep Breakfast was a bit of a curate's egg. A good selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt and a cold buffet with cheese and cold cuts. However the hot buffet displayed the all too common practice of cooking large quantities of items and leaving them to sit on a hot plate. The fried eggs looked particularly unappetising and the top bacon rashers had started to dry out to the extent that I decided to forego what should have been my starter for the day. Tea and coffee was brought to the table and the staff were attentive in ensuring refills were available when required. Would I stay again? Yes, if there is an offer available as the Pinewood then offers very good value. In the meantime I will develop a liking for poached eggs cooked to order.

Very smart hotel, great staff. Ate in the restaurant, very limited menu I'm not a fussy eater but would struggle to eat in if more than one night stay. But don't let that put you off, just be aware. The bar and general areas are very good, will return some time soon. Great for the airport if you need a stop over. Hope you enjoy, thanks.

As in other reviews, the wedding parties are ridiculously loud - and I mean ridiculous. Intended to eat at the hotel but was far too noisy. Then back in our room it was too loud to even watch the television. I would not stay here if I were paid if I'd known this is what they do. Can't believe the management think it's acceptable to take bookings when they have weddings going on.

Just stayed here for 2 nights but I have stayed in this hotel before and it is a lovely hotel. The reason why I didn't give 5/5 is the first night I decided to get my breakfast delivered to my room for a £5 supplement fee which I think is a fantastic idea and it was lovely. See photo! I then decided to do this again last night for this morning so the procedure is you have to hang your order on your door before 5am and they come around at your designated time however no one collected it this morning so I didn't have any breakfast, not sure how this was missed so I was slightly disappointed and hungry but I had to leave for work. Room was lovely and loved that there was a fan as it was needed! Reception very friendly too and called taxis when needed to get to work, very quick! I do enjoy staying at this hotel!

It's really hard when you want to give places the benefit of the doubt. I'm always wary of Best Westerns and this one is no exception. Just tatty, broken tv remote, bed with a dip, mould on bathroom ceiling. Nice lobby and food decent - needs investment in my opinion

The Pinewood is always our hotel of choice when flying from Manchester airport. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. The park and stay offer is very convenient as you leave your car in the hotel car park and they include a private taxi to and from the airport in the package which can only be booked directly with the hotel. Another highlight of this hotel is the excellent restaurant which is worth the stay just to dine here. See separate review.

We were a party of six and had the 3 course meal off the specials menu. Food was very nice and service was smooth and friendly. Good value and a lovely time was had by all. Hotel has adequate car parking and the surroundings are nice.

My aunt stayed there, she had a lovely room, she is used to US size rooms and in the U.K. ours are usually much smaller, but in this case she had a really large room which was really stylish and clean, the breakfast was good and bar and garden area is lovely. Staff very helpful

Like most large hotels these days weekends are mainly for weddings with other guests mixing at the edges. Besides the noise associated with discos booming until 1 am these rooms suffer from a major flaw. The heating system, once on, sounds like the pipes of someone running a bath with a constant 24 hours roar in the background all the time. Not once moment of silence not even in the middle of the night :-( You cannot alter it from your room. Even ear plugs in don't stop the roaring sound! Reception said you just have to put up with it :-( If you like a quiet nights sleep AVOID. Also large bed it two beds put together with a sheet over the top.

Have not stayed at the hotel only visited the main restaurant for a dinner. I will start with the positives, the restaurant is modern and stylish and with a good range of food and wines. Now the negatives, the menu was full of pretentious terms like jus, puree, pan fried, hand selected, kobe beef etc etc, it drove me made trying to dicherper what to eat. The waitress did her best to say that the hotel was trying to appeal to new foodie type customers, but this was a saturday night and the place was like a morgue. Although the food turned out to be quite tasty, the sheer pretentiousness of the menu and unnecessary complexity of it made for a rather irritating evening and as a group we all decided we would not be returning, overpriced, bland atmosphere and snooty menu not for me thank you.

If you are looking for an airport hotel when traveling from Manchester this is the one! We took the overnight and airport parking deal which was really well priced. The staff were all really friendly and helpful from the friendly lady taking the intial booking to reception and bar staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable beds. Nice outside area to sit and relax. We parked for the week at the hotel and were provided with complementary transfer to airport which was around 4 miles away and pick up on return. Fantastic service from hotel we will use again and recommend to all.

Really lovely hotel with a big car park and nice garden with tables and chairs. Very clean, rooms a good size and comfortable bed. Breakfast is buffet style but one of the nicest buffet breakfast ive had with tea and toast brought to your table. Check in and check out very quick and polite.

Visited this hotel with friends. Spent two nights one of which we all had dinner. (Around 60 people) Could not fault the rooms, the service. The food at dinner was exceptionally good . The breakfast had everything you could possibly require. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed.

We stopped here purely due to the ratings and feedback from previous clients and weren't disappointed. It is a comfortable and clean hotel with a good breakfast very reasonably priced. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We actually booked to stay there again the Night before we flew back to the USA because it was so close to Manchester Airport and very reasonable. Would keep this hotel in mind if we flew from Manchester again.

Very large room with good facilities and attentive staff. Excellent location close to Manchester airport and just a few minutes off the A34 and motorway network. Excellent breakfast with a very wide variety of food and drinks. Plenty of parking.

We stayed here overnight again recently and it seems to have gone a bit downhill since we last stayed. There was a wedding on when we arrived and when my husband popped back up to our room to collect something he passed a couple of staff giggling in the corridor because they'd pinched a bit of the wedding cake. If that had been my wedding and I'd found out, I wouldn't have been impressed. At breakfast we were seated at a table that wasn't set properly and I had to go hunting for butter, jam and milk, all of which had presumably been used by the previous occupants. When my pot of tea arrived it had no tea bag in the hot water and again I had to leave my rapidly cooling breakfast to get a tea bag from one of the waiting staff. Dirty plates were left on the table despite staff walking past and seeing them there several times. This made it difficult to fit everything on the tiny table. These are basic things that are not hard to get right but there just didn't seem to be anyone in charge or in control of what was going on. I think some staff training might be in order. Particularly for the managers, if there were any present.

My partner and I stayed here for a number of reasons. We wanted to visit Jodrell Bank Observatory and explore areas where the late Blaster Bates lived and worked. We were comfortable and well fed. The other reason for staying here was the free charging for our electric vehicle.

From check in to check out our visit was perfect. Lovely friendly staff modern hotel. We booked a dinner offer which was brilliant value for money, food was freshly cooked with lots of menu choices. Waiting on staff could not have been nicer and chatted with us and at breakfast. Rooms spacious and spotless just hot but we had a fan. We'd stayed the night before in a hallmark hotel there was no comparison we will be back

Went on a Saturday afternoon very relaxing atmosphere selection of sandwiches and cakes all well presented choice of tea or coffee and we had a glass of sparkling wine as well. Had a choice of where to sit pleasant gardens as weather for us was very hot. But could sit inside overlooking gardens if preferred.

Our first visit to this hotel, and found the gardens and location, excellent. The tea itself, we both agreed was one of the best ones we have experienced. We are regular visitors for Afternoon tea, and have had many to be good judges here. We would have no hesitation in recommending this location. The quality, selection, freshness and quantity were all top class. Large pot of tea, and the offer of top up, or coffee later was also a strong positive. Excellent service by all staff met. Overall highly recommended.

The rooms are small, no air conditioning is a pain in this heat, but it is clean and a bed for the night. Not overly impressed for a 4 star in Wilmslow but i take it is used for airline staff and travellers.

Booked here spontaneously and got a last minute deal. 85 pound for the night. We chose the hotel because it had reviews advising it was clean and tidy. We were given a room with 3 beds (only 2 of us staying), so we welcomed the space. The walls were paper thin and so it was hard to drown out the voices coming through the walls without turning the tv up. So we found it hard to relax. We would choose an alternative hotel next time on this basis. In addition I thought the room was expensive given it did not come with breakfast.

Great hotel, clean,tidy and quiet. Close to airport, convenient taxis, Lucy at receptionist was awesome! Nothing too much for her to do for us. Restaurant service great, meal excellent and affordable. Definitely stay here again. Free wifi!

Meet here most months with friends for lunch and a catch-up. The food has consistantly been good, not one complaint from any of us. The only comment I would make is that service can be slow. Since the public areas have been tastefully decorated it is currently our first choice for our get-togethers.

Stayed here on several occasions. This time travelled alone . Basic newly refurbed double room fine for one person but cramped for 2. Superior much better but more expensive. Walk in shower as I requested. Space in bathroom tight. Shower screen quite narrow so power of shower limited to avoid flooding. Several messages left on notices asking guests to report any breakages/ missing items/requests to open windows more.... Name of chambermaid recorded . Customer service at reception good. I did not eat here so cannot comment on restaurant.

We celebrated a 70th birthday here with afternoon tea for the group. It was our second visit here so we already knew we were in for a treat. A good sandwich selection and a really good selection of cakes with unlimited hot drinks. A minor criticism would be that there are lots of different cakes so you can't try one of each (I'm likely sounding greedy and I definitely don't go short!). Also worth mentioning the staff who are super attentive and helpful! Also really nice gardens (often used for wedding photos) so take the camera and grab some lovely photos (weather permitting!)!! Well worth a visit and expect to return!

Our daughter was holding her wedding at the Pinewood and a good number of family members were staying over which gave us the opportunity to view several rooms - all of which were good sized, some were very spacious, all were clean & well presented and kitted out to a good standard. Fast WIFI - free of charge - is available throughout the hotel. The main event was the wedding though and that's where the Pinewood really came into its own. Karen & the team were really professional, organised and friendly and the function rooms, bar, terrace & garden all worked well to make it an ideal venue. Food was really good, from the wedding breakfast to the late night buffet to the excellent breakfast the morning after the wedding. I've entitled the review 'couldn't be better' and I mean it, a perfect day leaving some wonderful memories.

Stayed overnight for my birthday. Very pleasant and polite staff, always had a smile on their face. Room was very clean and very quite. Didnt have an evening meal, but had the breakfast, which was a help yourself. Lots to choose from. Lovely breakfast. Would go again.

A great venue, a lovely garden for photos and mingling with guests, the meal was really good and served quickly and efficiently to all the guests, the staff were brilliant nothing was too much trouble. we were made very welcome, the whole wedding ran like clockwork making it a really relaxing day for all of us

Stayed here on a last minute Groupon deal of bed, breakfast and 2 course meal on a Friday night for just £79 so we weren't sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised the room was lovely and modern and more than comfortable for 2 people overnight the rather large tv was an added bonus. The bed was so comfy and we slept really well. We went to the restaurant for our meal which was a £20 allocation from their menus. We ordered a rump beef dish from the seasonal menu which cost the £20 we'd had a bit of a wait for it which the chef sent his apologies for but said the wait would be worth it and boy was he right the meal was amazing the beef was cooked perfect and melted in the mouth and the smoked potatoes accompanying it were devine it was probably one of the best meals I've ever had. We had Manchester tart for dessert which I was really happy about seeing on a menu as I love it but have not seen it anywhere else I've been before and it was lovely and refreshing. If you get the deal on Groupon book it it's amazing value for money we will definitely be back to the restaurant when we're around that way we're and looking at using the hotel when we go away as it's close to the airport.

I visited this hotel with a McDonald's Monopoly win. It's more expensive than places I usually stay. Check in was easy, plenty of parking on site. Room clean and comfortable. WiFi accessible in room. Tea making facilities and nice shower too. Room was quite nice, although overlooked nearby houses. Good amount of natural light. Had meal in restaurant both nights. Pricey and portions not huge. Fancy names for normal menu items (eg fish and chips) Well cooked though. Breakfast was brilliant, continental and cooked, eat all you can. Good fresh fruit/smoothie options. This hotel is in Handforth, not much there, few small shops/ cafes. Airport not so close, I did not notice additional noise due to proximity, but I don't think it's hard to get to from here. A nice stay, expected comfort. Staff friendly and helpful.

This hotel was booked by my organisation as part of a business trip and we chose it on the basis of location, price and facilities. On arrival we were greeted by very friendly and courteous staff and the hotel looked as if it was recently refurbished. The rooms were very clean and everything you need was available. The beds were comfortable and I had a king size which was very nice indeed. We decided to have bar meals on the first night of our stay and the quality and price of the meals were reasonable. I had a burger and was not disappointed.. My only complaint was the bun was a bit dry but otherwise good. Breakfast is excellent, good choice and variety, plenty of condiments, variety of fruit juices and excellent fried breakfast. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for business meetings , we had booked a syndicate room and the staff provided some equipment that we had forgotten so top marks there.

Good enough hotel. Nice gardens and bar area. Bedroom was very small but comfy bed. Bathroom was ok although the bath seemed to be high had I been a small person would struggle to get in it. Breakfast was good.

Welcoming staff who are pleased to assist at reception and in the dining room. Good breakfast buffet in pleasant surroundings. Good road links off the A34 and when finished the Airport relief road. Handy for local shops in Handforth.

Great staff, lovely room with balcony, lovely relaxing atmosphere with bar and the gardens are beautiful. Central Location and a short walk to the train station. Shops and restaurants nearby. Staff made our stay even better.

Pros- Lovely rooms. Beautiful gardens. Fantastic service. (Special Thankyou to the young lady with glasses and braces who served us at dinner, unfortunately we didn't catch a name, lovely girl who couldn't have done more for us). Comfy bed. Good range of gins (definitely recommend the palma violet and Turkish delight ones!) Cons- Rooms very hot, with no air conditioning. They did supply a fan but would expect this to already be available or air con in a 4* hotel in 26 degree weather. Food not great for vegetarians. When booking we were advised that there were lots of veggie options (we are both veggie) and there was only one or two mains to choose from on the menu. Also very overpriced- this didn't affect us as we had prepaid for dinner but the standard charge for the average, cannelloni dish we had was £12.45; which seems a bit ridiculous. Also veggie sausages were vile. Final niggle, the bathroom is extremely small; only one person could be in there at a time and barely enough space to turn around, water pressure was also not great. All in all it was good but not the usual standard of 4* that we have previously experienced. Overall, the hotel was lovely and the selling point for us was the excellent service. The staff really do go out of their way to provide excellent service and are a credit to the hotel. A few small niggles that were overlookable as we were only staying for one night, but any longer and this may create some issues.

Just had an excellent High Tea. Awesome deal through Groupon. Can't recommend this deal high enough. Great sandwiches & yummy clotted cream for the scones. A pot of tea or coffee per person & delicious cakes to share as well. Great value for money.

I stayed here from 18th May to 21st May and found the whole experience to be wonderful. I stayed with my parents as we were in the area to celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary. The hotel was beautifully kept to a high standard allowing us to feel cared for and comfortable. The gardens are amazing and give a real sense of relaxation and peace despite the hotel also being in a brilliant location to access all major roads easily. Once in the hotel you feel you are in the middle of now where and it was great for my parents and I to return there regularly and get time to relax before continuing with the various things going on for their anniversary weekend. The staff and food were superb throughout the entire stay. We ate in the restaurant, from the snack menu and enjoyed fantastic breakfast choice every morning. Liam was the chef whilst we were there and I think he did an outstanding job, while also finding the time to have a friendly chat with us in the morning. The two managers on shift at different times were also fantastic, being friendly and helpful, but unfortunately I didn't get their names. The lady manageress on the Friday night was chatty, friendly and very helpful, making me feel instantly relaxed on my first evening and th;e Bar man on our last night (Sunday) was also exceptionally chatty, friendly and helpful, despite nursing his broken heart at Man Utd being beaten the previous day ;-) Being in the industry myself I appreciate the effort that goes in to customer service and the Pinewood excelled in this area. The room was well decorated, kept brilliantly clean and very comfy. An added bonus for me on the trip was to find a bath in my room which was a luxury much needed for my aching bones after a long drive from Norfolk. All in all, as you can probably tell, I can not say enough good about my experience and should I find myself up North again in need of somewhere to stay, I will definitely be back. Thank you to the entire team for a fantastic weekend, you added an extra special touch to my parents Golden Wedding celebrations. Keep up the good work.

We needed a hotel just for one night and managed to get a good deal on a room here. The room was spacious, no noise from outside the hotel or the corridor and the bed very comfy - with lots of pillows! :) The staff were really helpful and polite, check in and out was really straightforward. I can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't eat there but we did get a snack at the bar and this was fine - not the best I've ever had, but no complaints, and the staff in the bar area were again very polite and happy to help. I recommend choosing a room deal with breakfast included, it cost us an extra £20 for the both of us, but the breakfast was really good, I'm a vegan and there were plenty of options for me, and pleased to find lots of fresh fruit on offer as well. I'd definitely stay here again, easy access to the airport as well. Thanks for a pleasant, if short, stay :)

Altogether eleven members of the family had arranged for five rooms following attending a wedding at a local Golf Club. Despite prior arrangements having been made by the Bride and Groom to have breakfast included we were told this couldn't be given. Also the only rooms available were Executive Rooms, more expensive than those originally promised and not including breakfast. To rub salt into the wound when we woke up we found a dead cockroach in our room which I reported to the reception desk. The receptionist merely said she would report it to the cleaner to remove it, as if it was nothing. Very disappointed with the lack of concern. On the plus side the breakfast we had was very good although this did add £40 to my bill.

The service at this hotel was the best we have ever had whilst staying in Manchester. I think the lady's name was Nicola, Italian national, she was an absolute delight and could not do enough for us. Thank you, Best Western fantastic service

Visited Monday afternoon for food. Absolutely beautiful Afternoon Tea, the best I've had (and I've had a lot!). The food was delicious and plentiful, lovely selection of little cakes, homemade scones. Only slight disappointment was squirty cream instead of clotted. Service was fantastic; many thanks to Rick who looked after us. Beautiful garden to sit in as it was a gorgeous day. Highly recommended, already planned our next visit!

I arranged a group visit for 2 nights and also arranged an in house dinner. Staff were helpful and flexible and would recommend this if you are visiting local businesses in the area or Manchester Airport.

Stayed here last Friday night, check in was easy and quick. Upgraded my room for £15 and the room was huge, nice bath and separate shower, comfy bed and large tv with various channels. Only let down is no air con but there is a fan in the room which was loud and full of dust on the back.

Typical hotel you get nowadays, nothing stands out as good, but no air-conditioning, a reception that does not listen, or chooses to ignore you, make it 3 star rating, at best. We had no air-conditioning, so asked for a fan. We tried to phone reception but the phone was out of order, so I went down to reception to ask for the fan and informed them that the phone didn't work. I was told that it would be dealt with, it wasn't and no apology or reason why. Also wedding parties are held hear until around 12am on a Saturday. Not good when you're up at 4 to catch a flight.

Extremely disappointed. This hotel books weddings and parties and they don't inform you when they are. After arriving at the airport after a very long journey, we arrived and a wedding was taken place. A disco until 12.30am when all you want is sleep. This is not an airport hotel. The staff were disinterested. We were told it is a very popular hotel for occasions. We were on top floor but fire exit doors were underneath which were opened from the wedding. We could not eat in the hotel due to the noise and busyness. Very disappointing indeed. Go to the premier inn instead just down the road.

Overnight stop after a very late flight arrival. Very disapointed, mainly that this is NOT as described an 'airport hotel'. Receptionist says they are allowed to call it an airport hotel if it's within 15 miles of an airport! Cost almost £40 return taxi just to get to and from the hotel. On arrival we found a big loud party going on in the function room next to reception - impossible to talk to the receptionist. Our room was directly above the function room and everything was shaking, the noise did stop after about an hour (just before 1 a.m.) but utterly disgusted. Room nothing special, OK but certainly not worth £100 a night. Full English breakfast was good, though the coffee was poor. Would not recommend the hotel for anything except the breakfast, if you need an overnight at Manchester airport pay the bit extra for one of the on-airport hotels and save the wasted taxi fare.

Needed to stay after a flight into Manchester on Business. The hotel feels fresh and modern and the room was comfortable and well appointed. I didn't eat dinner as I just wanted to catch up on some work so I walked up to the local Tesco express for a sandwich. The hotel is well located for my needs, far away enough from the airport not to be hounded by aircraft noise. I normally do not give 5 stars to hotels as I believe all hotels catering for business customers should provide electrical charge points for cars. I didn't see them but later was informed they have 2. So all in all an excellent find of a hotel on the BW points system

Firstly, I don't complain to get anything. But I believe an honest review is feedback for the hotel as well as future guests. Now, I made a mistake through my online booking system through my work. At 2230 at night I booked a hotel for the following night but turns out it books me in for the same night. I've tried to book hotels for the same day before and it wouldn't let me. So yes I made a mistake. I had an email invoice from hotel. So I rang to ensure I was booked in for the night I wanted. The night I had booked (wrong night) was a double bed but now the only option was a single room or a support for 60 pound more. I contacted hotel as I am a diamond rewards customer with Best Western and explained that my company booking system had let me book the wrong night. I didn't ask for money back, but as I hadn't stayed, therefore I hadn't had breakfast, and my room hadn't needed cleaning and that I'm paying for another night as a diamond BW customer I could get the upgrade to the superior room. This never happened. Worth a try right? But I accepted the single room. And paid 99 pound for it. I have seen caravans bigger. I could lay in bed and touch the wardrobe on the opposite wall. How a hotel can charge 99 for a room this small is beyond me. My spare room in my new build house has more floor space. I went to dinner. Initially after being tired from work I would ordinarily order food to room but as the room was so claustrophobic I went to eat in the restaurant. I was greeted by some duty supervisor who literally told me off for not booking. She fitted me in and I was grateful only to sit in the restaurant filling 6 of the 25 tables I counted. The food was good. The pudding was good. The menu was good. The waitress that hosted me was very pleasant. I came back to the room the watch tv to find the signal kept making the screen blocking, making it impossible to enjoy it. I am a great fan of BW hotels but I must say, that despite the service of the waitress in the restaurant my stay here was quite disappointing. I will stick the the cresta court from now on, where you get what you pay for. 99 pound for a tiny room isn't, in my view, acceptable when a premier inn down the road would have given me a king size, a working tv and less claustrophobia. Maybe I need to understand what a BW “plus” means? Is it similar to a Tesco “metro”?

Bit disappointing, loud music until one in the morning then loud chatter that seemed to go on for another half hour or so. The room was small and claustrophobic. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and the breakfast very good.

very disappointed after inadvertently booking 2 rooms, (duplicated booking in error). I asked hotel if could amend, but werent very helpful. So i cancelled one room, straight away, but i cancelled the 'flexible' rate room wrongly, instead of the non flexible rated room. Even though it was a genuine mistake there was no understanding or lenience, in my request to amend, as I had to change flight and was required for previous room. Sometimes we all make mistakes, but in this case, I paid for it, was charged, even though explained what had happened, and was treated just like any other 'number' customer i guess, with a not possible to amend unless i pay the new rate of £86.50 (after being pleased on previous visit to be offered a special rate of 58.50 incl breakfast. So guess I'll think twice, when booking not only through booking.com, (who were very understanding) but said the hotel wasn't able to be 'flexible' themselves! So i cancelled.

Took advantage of a Groupon deal for Afternoon Tea with Prosecco. Lovely fresh sandwiches with several different fillings. Various mini cakes & mini scones with a cream & jam filling. Excellent service.

The staff are brilliant, helpful and efficient. Stayed two nights in an executive room. The room was very small, no room to put suitcase on the stand, only one socket for multiple use - lamp, kettle and phone charger, no sockets near bed. Bed extremely hard with horrid pillows and stiff duvet. First night woken at 4.00 am by a brief false alarm, this was loud and startling, difficult to go back to sleep after the shock. Second night disturbed until 1.00 am by a very noisy wedding reception. I was annoyed that we hadn't been warned about this. Guests for the wedding should be accommodated in rooms above the reception area so that other guests can be away from the loud compare and music. In all it was a very disappointing stay - you go to a hotel to sleep and on both nights this was not possible because of the noise!

Stayed here for one night after a wedding. The wedding itself was nice no problems there our room wasn't great however. Good points - all the staff we spoke to or dealt with were nice and polite. The breakfast was good we had to wait a few minutes for a table and the young lady that saw us to our table couldn't apologise enough for the wait (it was literally 2 minutes). Check in was quick. Comfy bed. Bad points - the room was £85 for the night, the bathroom was old and dated and had black hairs all over the place on the floor, at the side of the sink a long black hair from someone's hair in the bath it just didn't look clean. There were stains all over the carpet and I didn't feel comfortable walking round with no shoes. The room was cold so I turned the radiator up which made loads of noise so had to turn it down again when we got back as couldn't sleep with the noise. The windows didn't open to air the room in the morning. The furniture was all old looking and worn. We just thought for the price it was a rip off and they should be charging half the amount. The hotel corridors and if our room is anything to go by could just do with a makeover. We didn't bother complaining with us only being there for one night and it being a wedding but if I would have been there for longer I would have been asking them to give it another clean.

I only stayed one night however I was mightily impressed. Check in was quick and easy. Staff were very welcoming. Room was lovely and spacious. I had booked a single but they upgraded me to a double. Par king was ok. Breakfast was very hearty and a good range of items. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is always welcoming and comfortable, close to our family and close to Manchester airport. Access from A34 excellent and car parking generous. The rooms always clean and beds comfortable. Lovely dining room and breakfast first class.

As above, the bed was extremely comfortable, room quiet, large Tv nicely refurbished room. I personally found the menu, difficult to choose from, Quite a lot of different style chips involved with the two menus rather similar and rather expensive. We found the third menu which is a two/three course menu the second night of our stay, still rather expensive. Eating out of a metal basket may look great for presentation but it is very difficult to eat from. Give me a plate anytime. The breakfast was okay but luke warm both days and the bacon looked microwaved. The staff are extremely friendly. I have given 5* for the hotel and 3* for the food making it 4*

Easy parking. Good vicinity to the airport if required. Food in restaurant very high quality at a very reasonable price. staff courteous and friendly which is nice when you are dining alone. Although the room was a single, did not feel too small and all room amenities of a good standard.

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect. We were utterly delighted when we went into our room to find the housekeeping manager Janet had made us a beautiful Anniversary card and also a plate of chocolate dipped strawberries. Delicious! So very kind and thoughtful! Thank you.

Thoroughly enjoyed a relaxed afternoon tea at the Wilmslow Pinewood Hotel with my friend Amanda, who had made the booking for us. On arrival, the very friendly staff provided us with options on where we could take our tea. We decided upon the formal dining area, as the sunshine and views over the landscaped gardens were rather appealing. Sandwiches and cakes were beautifully presented and equally delicious, and there was plenty of tea. Background music was set to a perfect volume level where it didn't intrude on our conversation. Thanks to both the hotel and the staff for a really lovely afternoon.

Exploitation of a captive audience with excessively high beer and wine prices...almost London prices. Food is very nice but again, a tad expensvie for tbe quantity served. I will not book here again since there are plenty of other hotels in the vicinity of the airport.

We have stayed in Best Western before but have not been back in the recent years. BestWestern has changed or is this only true of Best Western in the UK? We expected the usual airport chain hotel and we were gob smacked especially after eating in the hotel restaurant. It was tasteful in its decor and food. could still taste the grilled lamb I ordered. The room is spacious and clean that we definitely will stay in a Best Western Plus property again.

I had an amazingly comfortable stay here for a course it was before Christmas and very busy for parties so my only issue was the amount of people that stood outside to smoke as there were loads! I ate at the hotel a couple of nights in s row and the food was lovely I would recommend this hotel.

Returning to Manchester Airport at the tail end of the snow storms. The M62 was closed so I needed to stay over until it re-opened. Room 401 is a single so small but as long as you are expecting small (I was) it is fine. Almost like a cabin it was just what I needed to last out the storm. Everything was clean and relatively efficient. I have seen a few complaints about breakfast in the reviews but thought it was better (particularly the coffee) than what I was getting in Germany. Can't really fault the place for anyone needing a sleep over near the airport. Certainly got me out of a pickle.

Stayed at the Best Weston Pinewood as this is a hotel that came highly recommended to us by a colleague, who uses this frequently. No issues with the rooms or bar, but my main point was the breakfast. There was three of us sat around a small table, with no room to put anything. The waiter just kept dumping food items wherever he could, regardless of how cramped we were. As for the quality of the food, the Bacon had been cooked at 6am along with the fried eggs. They were still there when we ate at 8! So Bacon jerky and rubber eggs it was. I did ask if there were any fresh items coming, but only got a gruff response, and no fresh items were forthcoming. Coffee was lukewarm, and the toast was warm bread that hadn't been toasted. Other than breakfast, it was a pleasant stay, just not sure if we would stay again.

I stayed for one night due to an early morning flight, we booked a double room with dinner and breakfast through a Groupon deal. The room was clean and everything was fine with no issues, a little noisy at night due to a large party which had been drinking since late afternoon, I believe this was from a funeral, but little anyone could do. The dinner was good, but clearly as it was a groupon deal, the menu and content was paired down to meet the cost, however, the food was well prepared and very good service from the attentive staff. Breakfast was one of the best buffet style breakfasts we had had for some time, quality ingredients, but the preparation and the care of presentation, was excellent, also the serving staff were extremely friendly and very helpful, I could not fault the breakfast or the service from the staff, truly 5* My only comment to management would be over the start time for breakfast, service did not start till 8am on Saturday, with the Hotel clearly used for the nearby Manchester Airport, serious consideration should be given to an earlier breakfast start time ?

Visiting family at Northenden Mcr and had enjoyable comfortable night in Exec room with. Groupon offer. Excellent choices for breakfast although at 8.30 bacon and sausage were dry and seemed to be previous day warmed up. As a Monday morn with few people booked in would expect frequent reduced volumes of food to be cooked to keep fresh. All other foods available excellent including staff services.

We had 2 rooms double and twin. Both where a good size and clean. Staff where friendly and polite. Booking in and out quick and easy. All you can ask for from a large hotel chain. Didn't eat so can't give any feedback on the food. Would happily go back again

We chose this hotel as a stopover for a flight next day from Manchester. We were lucky to get a Groupon deal that gave us evening dinner and breakfast but putting the extra value aside the hotel impressed us right from the helpful check-in. The interior is nicely decorated in a contemporary style but at a much better level than your average sterile chain. Our room was large and again the decor good and all in good order. We went to the restaurant for evening dinner and were offered two different menus depending on what we wanted to pay. The meal was well presented (on black plates, a bit chefie but fine) and of a good standard. Staff were attentive but not over bearing. As you would expect the drinks menu for wine was a bit pricey but they have to make some money somewhere. Breakfast was equally good with an excellent range of food to set us up for the day. Overall we had an excellent stay which was above our expectations, rooms good, staff good and food good. We will definitely stay again.

I phoned the hotel to ask if they had a St Valentines special on for the restaurant that night, I was told yes they do and it includes a welcoming glass of proseco and a red rose,very nice I thought, do you have any tables left? Yes she said, would you like me to E mail you over the special menu, OK I said, it dualy arrived so at £35.00 each I booked a table for me and my wife. As we don't uasully celebrate this event my wife was delighted with the surprise and was looking forward to the event. Although we only live about 800 meters from this hotel we haven't eaten there for about three years, any way although it was a dreary drissley night we put on our hats and overcoats put up our umberellas and walked there, this should be good. When we arrived and presented our selves at the wait here to be seated sign we were approached by a charming young lady who asked us if we had booked, to which I replied yes we have booked the St Valentine's Day special, with this she showed us to a table, hold on a moment I said do you think we could leave our wet hats, overcoats, and dripping umbrellas some where else, she checked with some one and they were then taken away. We were shown to a table about 2ft x 2ft next to a guy who was working on his laptop or something not Ideal for a romantic dinner, my wife asked if we could sit at a different table more suitable for the occasion and this was agreed to. Once we had settled in we where asked what we would like to drink, I pointed out that I was expecting a welcoming glass of proseco and a red rose for my wife, oh right he said, I had not mentioned this to my wife as I wanted it to be a surprise, so that was ruined wasn't it. So eventually the rose and Proseco arrived and we ordered our starter and main course, what dessert do you want, we don't know my wife said we need to see how we feel after the main course OK they said. Having finished our starter, very quickly, the main course arrived, who is having the steak he said, hold on I said we are supposed to be having a raspberry and vodka sorbet, oh he said like he had no idea what was on the special menue, so he took our food away and eventually came back with the sorbet, it was very nice By this time the fun had gone out of the evening and the rest of the night was just what it was. I think we where probably the only people in the restaurant cellerbrating St Valentine's Day and if the Hotel need advice on how to put on an event like this, this ex pressure washer salesman will point out how it could be made to be special for the customer.

Good: most staff are very pleasant and easy to deal with. Great selection of healthy but also indulgent food for breakfast. Bad: my room (401) was far too small to be comfortable. Seems like they found some extra space at the bottom of a stairwell and made it into a room! Also, the bed felt like sleeping on a bean bag. Pillows were poor. The decor in the room is tired and bordering on chintzy. At breakfast, espresso coffees are not included in the price - really??? Finally, I've never been to a hotel where they offer a laundry service but you need to drop it off at and then collect it from reception.

Stayed at this hotel the night before a Manchester flight. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, room was comfortable and the food in the restaurant was good. Slight issue on checkout when someone else's meal was charged to our room but it was sorted efficiently. We will use this hotel again.

Nice hotel, good clean rooms, food good. Disappointed about the lack of gym or hot tub onsite but they are linked to the biggest in the UK which is 2 miles away. Room service is good especially the pizza fries. some of the rooms don't have baths so you need to request one that does. would stay here again

Use this hotel alot throughout year.. Stayed Saturday 3rd Feb. Found toilet to be dirty after inspection. Toilet overflowed after flush.. Receptionist upgraded us after we reported the toilet issue.. We were grateful to the receptionist. Had a light meal in the bar.. Sandwiches..Beef x 1, Ham x 1. 2 x chips= £20. Bread was poor quality and filling was none discript. During early morning a noise woke us up!!! Not sure if this was from the kitchen. As our bedroom was close/above kitchen!! Such a shame on last nights stay. As this is used frequent for business..

Stayed there for one night, weekend to take an early flight. The whole place was occupied by a wedding. So do not ask about the sound level. But besides that all worked well, service was good and it is an easy one to the airport.

What a great Groupon deal, this was. Hotel very comfortable and clean, nothing too much for the staff. We did the dinner bed n breakfast deal, food top class, presentation and service. Room was very comfortable and well serviced. Wonderful relaxed break.

Absolutely loved this hotel. The room was big with comfy bed and beautiful clean bathroom and room with big flat screen tv .Nice and quiet too .Staff nice and friendly and we had booked on a Groupon deal with breakfast and two course meal which was excellent loads of choice for breakfast more varieties then other hotels I've stayed in .I would definitely recommend this hotel look forward to staying again

Stayed here quite a few times on business and must say I couldn't fault it! The restaurant and bar area are very spacious great variety on the menu aswell bar staff are more than helpful. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms very clean ! Great for a short trip!

My friend and I had an early flight to Malta so booked this hotel has it included parking for the duration of our holiday but what it neglected to tell us until we'd paid and got the confirmation email was that parking was not onsite as expected but we had to leave the next morning and drive to the long stay 1 parking at the airport! We set off following the hotel instructions which sent us back on the motorway one junction and to the airport where it said long stay 1 would be signposted - wrong!!! Short stay, medium stay, jet parking all signposted but no long stay so we drove what seemed like miles and couldnt find it - it was after 6am and we needed to check in 2 hours before our flight at 8am - eventually we saw a Ryanair crew member walking along with her case so asked her and she told us that she was asked that every morning by lost travellers and gave us directions. Very difficult to find and also difficult to get a space - we drove round and round and eventually ended up parking at the end of a row that probably wasn't a properly marked bay but we were running out off time. We waited 15 mins for a shuttle bus in the cold until one came! The hotel itself was fine but I'd never stay there again as it isn't an airport hotel it's miles away! I only booked it as it said it was an airport hotel and led us to believe we parked up there! It had a grill next door which didn't open for a couple of hours so as we hadn't eaten since breakfast we had to go find a pub to eat in. Not a good start to the holiday!

Brief stay but very satisfied. The room was exceptionally clean, with a very good ensure shower room. Only negative was the coffe in the room which was awful, and at breakfast the bacon and sausages seemed to have been overlooked and left on the hot plate too long. Distaff were courteous and efficient and friendly,

An easy to find hotel with friendly staff and good facilities. A quiet and comfortable room. Plenty of car parking. A great improvement since the hotel was re-furbished. Close by there are many attractions to visit.

40 members of our Social Groups Walking Section enjoyed a pleasant pre - Xmas evening at this excellent venue. This is the 6th year that we've held this event here, but the first time we've been so close to Xmas day itself; on Sat 23rd December. Surprisingly the venue wasn't as packed as usual, which made it a much more enjoyable evening, with only approx 70 of us in this pleasant function suite. The meal was bog standard Xmas fare, but well presented and quite tasty, served by a quite professional staff. Most members of our group anyway felt that the food was good value, though the drinks a bit pricey...£3.95 for a mainly lemonade Shandy and £5.45 for a small glass of wine.. Evening finished off with a good Disco and a great start to the Xmas Holidays

We were booked on an early flight from Manchester . so to avoid any chance of a poor journey from home we booked this hotel . The Airport ones were expensive and quite a few wanted to charge you for parking whilst you stayed overnight ,so they were out. When booking our stay at Best Western I thought less than ten minutes to Airport and pretty reasonable tariff . Lots and lots of free parking , WiFi that works and the room was very nice indeed ,big ensuite and comfy beds . Great value Thanks Best Western Plus .

After a very successful Christmas day lunch 2 year's ago my family & I booked for the same experience this year. Sadly we were all very disappointed with the food,very limited choice, poor quality & very amateur presentation.Smoke salmon starter was a 'non starter'. Beef main course mean & tasteless. Turkey dinner bland! Butternut squash tart a joke. No way did the price reflect in what was served up. Redeeming feature good staff, very polite & helpful. No way will we be back.

Business trip to Manchester ideally placed hotel and was one of the nicest BW hotels I have stayed in, rooms were modern clean and had every amenity a business traveller would need, Food was wll presented and creakfast was excellent value

The room was great and clean with a lovely view over the garden and the bathroom facilities were excellent. The room was a little warm to begin with but this was easily remedied - not a bad thing on a cold winter's night. The staff on Reception and in the dining room were all most pleasant and helpful and the food and choice very good.

Been to a few best westerns over the years. Tended to be at the bottom end of the scale. A bit run down and alike. This one is not like that at all. The room was new and even had that new room smell you get in show homes. Bathroom was clean and tidy. Lots of off-street parking. Alt better than I expected.

32 people attending our annual staff Xmas event For mass catering the food was hot and tasty , wasn't to one or two of our parties taste but nevertheless as the organiser I thought it was very good . The staff in all areas of the hotel are brilliant , friendly and efficient . We also stayed over , great value bed and breakfast ,rooms spotless and perfectly adequate for an overnight stay , breakfast was excellent . Would of given 4.5 if I could have . I stayed here my last night in the UK due to the easy access to the airport. I arrived at 1.30 pm, hoping to check in a few minutes early as I had an appointment at 2.30 pm. However, I was asked to wait in the lounge which I did. When I went back to reception soon after 2 pm, I got the impression that my room had been ready for some time. It would have been good if someone had come and told me when my room was ready. I found the room somewhat stuffy and oppressive and would have expected a mini fridge in the room in a 4 star hotel. On the other hand, the hotel was good value for money, the staff were friendly, I had a good night's sleep and I made my appointment (just).

Overall a good stay, Hotel is clean and tidy with staff very helpful and considerate. Rooms made up and towering changed daily although I declined the service as I didn't consider it necessary or wanted. It would be better if the fan system in the bathroom would switch off at sometime, an observation not a complaint, unfortunately I was accommodated between storage rooms that were used as linen and towel refreshment storage. Overall a good stay and would recommend and stay again. Thank you

We came with a party to the 80's Party Night on the 1st December -AMAZING!! The whole night was extremely well organised, food delicious with hot plates and the band and DJ were fantastic. Thank you to Richard and his team for making it such a fantastic night!! Please, Please can we have another one....SOON!!

Very clean, staff very friendly and helpfull, bar and restaurant prices very reasonable, ample parking for vehicle and car park well lit, found it very easy to find and only a 10 minute drive to parking for Manchester Airport

What a fantastic night we had. Three of us are celiac and the food was delicious. As we couldn't have the cakes, they very kindly made us fruit salad. I also had the problem that I can't have strawberries which wasn't a problem as they immediately made me a fruit salad without strawberries. Richard and the staff were an absolute delight, so pleasant and helpful. Please arrange another 80's night as we are all desperate to come back. Pauline

Came with friends for a Christmas party. Absolutely fabulous 80s night. Rik and his team were amazing, very attentive and nothing was too much trouble Food was great and excellent value. Can't wait to come back soon

do not know where to start what a night all staff at this place are fantastic nothing is to much trouble ric and hjs team worked very hard to keep us happy food was lovely music great I did not here any body moan have never been to a party that was that good well done all the pinewood team

We stayed for one night before our flight the next morning. Check in was smooth however when we reached our room found that it was a disabled access room meaning we had no bath and the wet room meant flooding the whole bathroom floor making any further visits to the bathroom very damp under foot. The toilet flush was weak. The room itself was small but annoyingly the radiator had a blue square glowing light directly at eye level when lying in bed which caused discomfort when trying to sleep. We skipped the overpriced breakfast which cost more than in the airport itself but did have an evening meal which I can only call average (the steak in Guinness pie was overly rich so the flavour was heavy and I left half as hard to enjoy). Would I stay here again? Probably not, there are more spacious hotels in the area who will allocate bedrooms with able bodied bathrooms. Perhaps I should have returned to reception to moan about the room when I arrived but it was a one night stay so figured it would be fine at the time until we used it. Lesson learnt.

Stayed here in August 2017 before an early morning flight Didn't see much of the hotel but the room was clean and bed very comofrtable. Hotel bar was chilled and staff were friendly. Good distance and travel routes to the airport so this is ideal for anyone looking for a nights sleep before/after a flight at Manchester AIrport The only slight issue was that when we first went to our room, a wet towel on the floor was holding the door open which seemed rather odd. Obviously we just moved this to one side but didn't give the greatest initial impression.

Spent a Saturday night after a family function. Got back to the hotel to find a party going on past midnight. Wasn't told when booking, had to wait over an hour to go to bed. Went to reception, was told we should have been told when booking and there was nothing they could do as hotel was full. If you get a room on the second floor at the weekend, expect to be kept up! The rooms are dated and not to the plus level I'd expect of a Best Western. Much more like any generic dump half the price. Pretty scummy place with bare plaster on some walls and worn carpet. Avoid if possible.

Hotel was easy to find and in a good location. Hotel very nice looking with a nice garden area loads of parking. Our room was fine although we had two single beds and the room got so hot we had to have the fan on all night after unsuccessfully trying to turn down the heating as the radiators weren't even on...very strange. Bathroom ok quite small but good shower and nice bath - a bit high to get in and out of and bath mats would be an idea - I read in the welcome brochure that they are available at reception but would be easy enough to provide for the convenience of guests. Enough towels and an iron with ironing board too. Television was small but had Freeview channels. Didn't order room service as the food seemed very expensive with £5 just for brining it on a tray - dominoes delivery was a lot cheaper ???? I would recommend this hotel and probably would return again ??

Booked 2 rooms here in October. Travelled as a family of four and stayed for one night. We enjoy the extra space of having two rooms - my son and I in one room, my wife and our 2 year old in the other. This only works well if the price is right, but this hotel was no more (maybe less) than similarly located Premier/Holiday Inns and the standard probably a bit better. Here are a few of my thoughts - 1. Location: we were visiting relatives in South Manchester (Fallowfield) and the hotel was around a 10 minute drive when the traffic was quiet. On the Sunday night we stayed we could have chosen virtually any hotel in the city but opted for the less-hassle option of heading away from the city and parking more easily. In this respect we were not disappointed - road links are good and the car parking seemed plentiful. 2.Service - cannot fault anybody who we met during the stay - check in was polite and efficient. Initially we had rooms on different floors but this was changed swiftly enough when requested. 3. Quality of rooms - I get the impression from the website and other reviews that some rooms are really impressive. My wife stayed in an executive double room and was happy enough. I found the room a little lacking in space and was glad to get to the other room we booked. I'm not sure what this room was - I'm sure we originally booked a double and 2 single bedded family room as our second room but this room had a double and one single. Obviously we changed our room on checking in so I was not going to query this. In any case, this room seemed much more spacious, the bathroom was bigger, it had dual aspect windows being on the corner of the building. Overall, I was quite happy spending time in this room. We also ordered room service, which seemed fine. Wifi worked fine. Everything about the stay was more than adequate. For me, a comfortable 4/5, possibly deserving a bit more though the double room just underwhelmed me a little. Although I'd be happy to visit again, it's not one of those hotels which wowed me and left me wanting to return.

Stayed for one night before traveling to the airport .The hotel was pleasant disappointed that access to the leisure complex was by car due it being in Wilmslow. The food was good both in the bar and at breakfast . The staff were excellent and very skilled. Taxi service to the airport was efficient and a reasonable price. It was a good experience but do not think we would go again as there was nothing we could identify as “ special “

Stayed for one night and upgraded to Superior room. Stunning! Super king bed with sofa, armchair and coffee table. Bathroom was huge and beautiful. Large bath, large shower, fluffy towels. Perfect. Towelling robes and slippers provided. Fresh ground coffee and cafetiere. All immaculate. Ate in lounge bar - food was excellent and we'll presented. Breakfast was buffet-style. Food was hot and there was a good choice. Staff very pleasant and attentive.

I stayed at the Best Western Wilmslow Pinewood for one night, a Saturday night, for a work related trip. The day before I arrived I had a phonecall from reception to see if there were any specific queries or requirements I wished to run by them - a lovely, proactive touch. Nice. I needed an iron and ironing board and these were in my room when I arrived. When I checked in, the reception staff were really welcoming and efficient. No queue either. I was in a rush to get to my work appointment, so asked if someone could help me unload my car, which they did, and kindly took my things to my room. I was so grateful as this helped me to stay on time for an extremely important appointment! Spacious double room, everything I needed. Biscuits were particularly good! 40 inch TV. Clearly this room had been refurbished, probably within the last 18 months. The bed was lovely and comfortable, plenty of pillows, 2 soft, 2 firm. Loads of towels, good spacious shower, high quality modern fixtures (throughout). Decent quality shampoo etc. Only issue was the volume of the party in the function rooms downstairs. It would have been appropriate and (I hope) understood by the party goers, if the music was turned down after, say 10pm, but it went on until 1am. This didn't affect me tremendously; perhaps I was just tired, but I do see there being some lack of consideration here. I would't be surprised if other guests complained. Decent stay, nice quality, affordable hotel.

I had 2 good nights here - the room was very nice and clean and a good standard. Bed and pillows were comfortable so I enjoyed my sleep. Bar menu is the same as the restaurant and the food was good and well presented. I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night on 20th September prior to flying out to visit friends in USA . I booked some months prior and a few weeks before our visit I checked out the recent reviews (some of which were far from complimentery) so I was a little apprehensive - I didnt need to be - dont believe those negative reviews - this is an excellent hotel , good food , attentive staff , and yes they DO help you with a taxi to the airport. We had an excellent and trouble free stay

Having once lived in the area we returned for 3 nights to visit family. The room was modern, good wi fi, no bottled water and a bit stuffy. The room could do with better storage eg hooks by the door for coats, drawers in bedside tables and dressing table would be useful. It had a huge TV!! I know this is used by people travelling to and from the airport - hence the crowded carpark which we just managed to squeeze into. Breakfast was extra and as we don't usually eat this meal it wasn't a problem but this made the room rate a little more expensive. The bar area seemed to be frequented by a few local drunks - though not causing trouble it did bring the quality down a bit. I don't think this hotel caters for visitors of more than one night - they seem to be concentrating on the airport park and ride customers which is a bit of a detriment to others. The disco was quite loud too but it did end fairly early for a Sat night.

We stayed here in 2016 as it was much better value than the local budget hotel's and more convenient for the airport and parking. We decided to stay again in June this year before flying to Jamaica the main reason for staying here is there park and fly deal works out better value than the local budget hotels and airport parking, due to the hotel organising free transfers to and from the hotel I find this makes for a good start and end to the holiday. ARRIVAL / CHECK IN Parking in the long stay car park around the back of the hotel there was plenty of spaces available. The check in girl was very friendly and helpful telling us every thing we needed to know and arranging our taxi transfer for the following morning to the airport. THE ROOM The hotel called a few days before we were due to arrive and said all standard doubles were sold out and would we like and executive double at just £10 extra we decided to go for this. The executive double was a very good size room for 2 people the room was very clean and tidy with all the amenities you would expect from a hotel like this. THE BATHROOM the bathroom again a good size and very clean, I did notice some areas looking tired in the bathroom and some one seems to have gone mad with the sealant every were. The bed was very comfortable and we both got a good nights sleep. RESTURANT AND BAR We booked a table at the restaurant for the evening, being honest there was no need as it was dead only two other couples in there. PARK AND FLY the hotel has a separate car park for park and fly customers around the back of the hotel, plenty of spaces available, due to the over booking at T2 car park at Manchester airport we didn't want to take the risk and the price for the room and car parking was less than 1 weeks car parking at T2 great value for money from this hotel. to say how dead the restaurant was the service was quite slow and the staff not overly friendly or talkative. the food was ok but nothing special at all, the price as to be expected for this area was high. Generally a ok meal but nothing to write home about. the bar was very busy that night with a group of people who had far to much to drink they were being very loud and causing a nuisance. In my last review I mentioned the taxi drivers were very impolite and unfriendly this time round both taxi drivers were very good. We are looking to book soon of our 2018 holiday.

Stayed before and after a trip from Manchester airport. Service included car parking while away, taxi to and from the airport. Staff were very good, food very good, hotel cleanliness very good, rooms very good.....overall it was very good as you may have guessed! And after experiencing Manchester airport, it was appreciated!!!

We were using this hotel in readiness for an early flight the next morning, so we wanted peace and quiet and a good nights sleep, and we got it! We had a refurbed room on level three which was lovely. Could not fault the hotel at all, and would recommend the early bird deal at the Italian down the road.

I was lucky to be able to attend a special tasting menu event at restaurant one eighty recently. Well, what an experience! The restaurant has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, the staff are attentive and professional and the food is amazing. The flavours and presentation of the dishes was exceptional, can't think of 1 thing to fault. This was my 3rd visit to this restaurant and definitely won't be last. Special thanks to the chef for such a special meal.

We stayed overnight before flying out home to Australia, we were really pleased with our choice, the room was spacious, clean and the bed was super comfortable. Plenty of parking and the wifi worked well. The hotel was close to shops and eateries. Everything you want and close to the airport.

Visited the hotel on 01/10. I was checking in quite late, therefore emailed the hotel to notify them not to put me into no show. Got a very quick answer that they do not resell the rooms after certain time. Which is a very good thing! Check in was very quick. Receptionists organized me a wake up call, taxi, invoice for the morning and even a lighter. Rooms are very clean, however the only minus no bottled water in the rooms. Great service from Will, couldn't catch the name of the other receptionist. I would recommend this hotel and looking forward to come back again in a week!

Nice hotel, perfectly situated for a short stay whilst travelling back to Australia. Within a 10min walk to a train station for easy access to Manchester City Centre. Rooms were nice and clean, comfy beds and the check in/out experience was seamless. Would definitely stay again on my travels to the UK.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Wedding celebration in progress on our arrival. Rooms tired and in need of some cosmetic surgery. Restaurant small with limited menu. However the food was very good and caters for gluten free. Catered for our early morning departure and booked airport taxi for us.

have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 17 years in its many guises. room was very good, comfortable and clean. bar is reasonable and food was freshly cooked. booked a taxi transfer which was on time.

Went for a family funeral so not the best of visits. Was told we would have a discount on room because of the funeral tea being held there. No discount because we booked through Booking.com. even though we were told it could be sorted out at the hotel. Not a helpful receptionist at all. We had a meal (9 if us) in the restaurant booked for 7.15pm....the menu should read...what we have left!! A joke at that time in the evening. The food was terrible and the chef should be sacked. Cannot fault the other staff who were fighting a losing cause and were commendable, esp. the lady who was there in the evening/morning and afternoon. For the money paid it was terrible and we would not stay or recommend it to anyone.

Very nice hotel, easy access. Very close to the airport, £10 cab ride. Staff friendly and accommodating, room was very well decorated, the balcony being a huge plus. Very clean and well kept, bathroom bright and spacious. Would definitely visit again.

Stopped here for one night as en-route to Manchester Airport the following morning. Upon arrival staff were extremely friendly, curtious and helpful, the process to our room booking to transfer to the airport the following morning was excellent. The hotel has had a recent refurb since we last stayed there and must say the rooms are excellent, lovely colours and a warm comfortable feel to them, so spotless ... would definitely recommend and certainly stay there again when travelling. Well done all... keep up the good work..

As we live an hour or so from the airport we decided to stay the night before so not to get caught out in the traffic. We arrived during darkness and rain so we didn't have much chance to see the outside of the hotel but it looked nice. We had a nice room which had everything we needed. We had a couple of drinks in the bar and had a snack from the bar menu. The hotel was very quiet but it was a Sunday night. In the morning even allowing for roadworks it was an easy drive to Manchester airport. We would definitely use the hotel again for early flights. Easy check in/out No problems at all.

We stayed here before flying from Manchester airport. The staff were very polite, the girl that checked us in was very chatty and funny. The hotel grounds are very well kept and the hotel itself is modern and comfortable. I would stay here again !

This hotel bills itself as an airport hotel, and although the hotel is close to the airport, the hotel does not offer a shuttle. Expect to pay 26 GBP (!) roundtrip. The hotel staff also refused to help me book the taxi, so I had to do that myself over Skype while abroad, and their recommended taxi service was not organized or efficient, so it was a scramble to get to the hotel. When I arrived, I discovered that my room was up several flights of stairs (hotel desk staff did not offer to help me with my luggage, I had to ask). I was in a single room, which was clean and comfortable, however the very loud noise of water rushing through the plumbing system kept me awake. All in all, this was a disappointment despite the Best Western brand.

My wife and I were unfortunate enough to stay one Saturday evening. We should have anticipated trouble after having been served the worst lunch ever, but not wanting to start our travels on a bad note, let it lie. We went shopping for the afternoon and returned to the hotel around 8 pm. OMG....ten feet from reception was a reception room with the door open and music vibrating the building. We couldn't even communicate with the staff to ask how long the music would be going on for it was so loud. Grim face we went to our room on the first floor above reception. Needless to say the floor was vibrating. As we were getting up for an early flight I decided to talk to the duty manager and find out when the madness would stop. It was going to be 11 pm for the live music to finish and midnight for the DJ's music to finish. We went to look at another room on the second floor which was no better, in fact a little worse than the room we were already in. It was now 10 pm and we had little option but to face a sleepless night. We insisted on a refund, which we received, however faced a 14 hour flight tired and worn out. NEVER AGAIN......

We booked the park stay and fly package direct with the hotel as I couldn't find anything suitable on the usual holiday extras websites. What a great find! The whole experience from getting a phone call from the hotel prior to our stay to check if we wanted restaurant reservations to the complimentary taxi to and from the airport made a stress free start and end to our trip. All the staff were extremely pleasant, our room looked like it had been recently refurbished as everything was new, clean and modern. but the best part was dining in the hotel. The food was amazing. The chef really knows his stuff. Far better than the usual airport hotels. Will definitely be staying here again next time we fly from Manchester.

Nice, clean Hotel. I got a double bed room which was perfect. Check-in and check-out easy and quick. Staff are OK, friendly. The Airport is very close, only 7-8 min by car or taxi. The breakfast is better than the average British one.

Stayed here for 2 nights in a executive room. Lovely hotel in a quite suburban area outside of Manchester, massive, comfortable bed in a good sized room. We had a nice view of the gardens at the back of the hotel. Room & bathroom clean & well maintained with complimentary toiletries. Good selection at the buffet style breakfast with tea, coffee & toast brought to your table, no waiting for those awful toast machines that either give you burnt offerings or warm bread. All staff we encountered were friendly and very helpful, even on checkout on the Sunday morning when we asked if it was OK to leave the car in their car park so we could have another day out in Manchester we were told no problem. The train station is a good 10 minute walk away with direct line to Manchester picadilly station. There are lots of places to eat out near the hotel although we didn't try any as we spent most of our time in the city. Would stay here again.

This was my first stay at this hotel but it won't be my last. It is well situated near to Manchester airport but far enough away not to be too bothered by aircraft noise. The room I had (superior) was large, very comfortable and well equipped to suit my needs. Wifi was good. I had room service food which was excellent and enjoyable. There are shops etc. a few minutes walk from the hotel. Breakfast items choice was varied and well presented. I look forward to my next stay!

Stayed here overnight in 2014 and found rooms to be tidy, staff were ok, food was great, not far from Manchester airport and Wilmslow town centre ideal for overnight stay if catching an early flight..

Stayed at the hotel and had a meal in the evening, both my partner and I really enjoyed the food,I had the warm tuna stake salad and my partner had the duck. The staff were very friendly, helpful and cheerful. An all round good experience! We only stayed one night and the room was modern, fresh and comfortable. Plenty of parking and lovely garden

I have stayed here approx six times now on business. This hotel is very close to Manchester Airport which is good if you are travelling. The rooms are quite spacious with full tea and coffee facilities. Good selection at breakfast time too, staff are very friendly and more than helpful. Conference facilities are basic but they have coffee and tea on tap! The only drawback for me is that the rooms are very very hot it gets very warm at night, the window can be opened but there's very little air can get in. I have been offered a fan but it makes little difference and is noisy!!

We arrived early and although we couldn't check in we were invited to sit in the lounge and buy coffee at the bar after we parked our car. We had arrived on a weekend of car clubs gets together. The foyer was filled with one lot leaving and another arriving and some, apparently, staying on. Oh, and there was the party for a 3year old girl - lots of shrieking, music and a booming PA system talking them trough party games. Time to check in, band on 2-00pm and a long wait for the lift to the 1st floor - lots of holiday cases, too heavy to walk up stairs. We got to our floor and found it full of enormous dirty linen containers and lists of busy staff. Unsurprisingly or room was on the others side of them. A well equipped room and good bathroom but out luggage took up a lot of the floor space and it was somewhat of an obstacle course to get from one side of the bed to the bathroom. Returning back downstairs to explore we again had a long wait for the lift, when it arrived it was full of dirty laundry containers and staff. We walked down. I'm sure this hotel is usually less disorganised but I was glad we decided to not have breakfast but leave early for the airport.

This hotel proved to be a good price for a hotel so close to the airport.Reception and staff were friendly, the hotel clean and the room comfortable. It's everything you'd expect from a Best Western. The hotel has plenty of outdoor free-parking.Cost of a taxi into Manchester centre was approx £25 and £18 with Uber (off-peak). Nice choice if you need a good hotel close to the airport.

We stayed here the night before our holiday. The hotel is clean, fairly spacious and well decorated. The staff were lovely and it was just what we needed for the night. Although we didn't eat at the restaurant, it looked very nice and if I was to return I would definitely try their food.

I stay here occasionally when we have a family gathering and we need to stay over. The rooms are always clean and the service good. Last time I stayed however the breakfast wasn't great. Everything was a bit over cooked and not that hot. The last time we stayed was for a family birthday. We stopped in at the bar for a last drink and the barman was a bit abrupt and slow. Also £22 for three drinks on my bill the next morning was a bit of an unpleasant surprise.

I stay here on a regular basses with work and always a Great Place to stay. Never had a problem and with friendly staff always willing to help. Nice restaurant and good take always near by. Great breakfast.

The staff were particularly helpful. We had booked a room 'without stairs' for our elderly mother who had difficulty with mobility. When we arrived we found all rooms only accessible by lift and her room unsuitable as it had a bath not shower! We should have specified disable access. The staff scoured suitable rooms to change. The hotel was totally full making this difficult, however they did manage a room swap and upgraded our mother.

Nice hotel, but lacking in friendy service. Everyone (except the bar staff) seemed distant and made you feel inferior (I am an owner of 3 successful business'), and care deeply for MY staff. Do not expect late check out without cost, period. No shuttle to airport (Taxi only). Restaurant nice but unpretentious.

This is a clean and comfortable hotel close to main routes and Manchester airport. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful but don't bother with dinner. The menu is extensive and fussy and the food.....well ordinary and expensive for what it is.

Stayed her last year before our flight, had the superior room which was fantastic, full on comfort, enjoyed it so much we are returning this year before my special birthday trip to Italy, and bringing the kids, again superior rooms. Thanks to all the staff who were so helpful, and made the start to our holiday a very enjoyable one. We had our evening meal here also, which was quite good value, and really nice. The hotel is only a short drive to the airport , and in a good area. Thanks again guys see you on 31st august .

We are BW platinum and do not expect to pay for water in the room never experienced this in any BW including Castle Green Would recommend this hotel as the staff are good but management very thin on the ground On a lighter note a guest/ cast beer would be a good idea Rooms clean and functional Will visit again

Greeted at 3am, with pleasant smile and offer to help with luggage. The room was beautifully decorated, very restful pale and deep greens. Immaculately clean and bed soooo comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, cooked my egg on request to perfection, all the staff were so helpful, even the young man on work experience. Can't mention just one name, all staff were so pleasant.

Very quiet hotel, far from the train station, but closer to the airport. We booked it thinking it might have a shuttle, but no such luck. The room was a good size, but with twin beds and no air conditioning. Although, it was cool outside, it was a bit stifling in the room and the window did not open all the way. The staff was very helpful and the hotel was very clean. A good place to stay if you don't mind catching a cab to the airport.

Ideal hotel for Manchester city centre or the airport. Rooms clean and tidy, great breakfast lots of choice and large free carpark. Wifi good speed and lifts to floors which is helpful with a pushchair. Can be a bit pricey but is worth it for standard you receive.

Stayed here mainly to take advantage of the park and fly offer. Sounds great and worked well from the hotel to the airport. The room itself was adequate for our needs. However, although we followed the instructions for the taxi pick up on return and having been told one would be there in 10 minutes, it was actually an hour of standing by the information board and several calls before the taxi arrived. We complained to the reception manager who sympathized and offered a cup of tea but frankly the cost of the taxi at least should have been refunded. Poor service with no explanation as to the delay. Will not use thus hotel again.

Stayed at Pinewood Court the night before our flight .Booked direct and hsd evening meal along with breakfast and 2 weeks parking..Hotel was brilliant..lovely clean bedroom nice and quiet..there was ample car parking spaces and all the staff were polite friendly and helpful..we had a really good evening meal wih ressonable prices and had a really good nights sleep..breakfast was excellent..lots of choices..hot breakfast..cereal. yoghurts cheeses fresh fruit.all cooked to perfection and looked appetising..the young lady who served us was lovely..chatty, friendly and smiling which was great..Taxi to the airport arrived bang on time..a really nice guy ..also stayed on the night we returned from holiday once again taxi on time, a clean comfortable bedroom with a bath which i really enjoyed..once again evening meal and breakfast were excellent..will definitely stay here everytime we fly from Manchester..The best most friendly hotel yet near to the airport..

The room was very small with very poor amenities. Did not have a fridge which I required to put my medicine in. This room had very little space to move around and storage of our luggage was very limited. Where we were accommodated was very noisy and every time a guest open the fire door it was very loud. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Booked two nights in an executive room as this was advertised as being 'more spacious' than the standard room. I would not describe our room as spacious at all, it was on the smaller than average size for a hotel room, I have stayed in Premier Inns with bigger rooms. It was also a bit dark and the decor and furnishings were in need of a complete make over as it was very dated. However the biggest problem was how noisy the room was. We could hear every conversation of people in the hallway and unfortunately hear explicitly everyone's visit to the toilet and bathroom in adjoining rooms. There were a couple of functions in the hotel on the Friday night which went on till 1am with loud music which kept us awake. Our room was immediately above the function room and bar. Unfortunately we were not advised when checking in that functions were happening which is usual practice. The bar and restaurant were very pleasant and staff very friendly, we had a snack in the bar which was very good. Breakfast was ok . The cooked food was very good but the rest of the selections pastries, yogurts, fresh fruit exc. left a bit to be desired. Looked dry, and very little choice. When we checked out we mentioned the above to a member of staff. She advised that our room (110) was one of the quieter rooms. Not sure how! Bearing in mind that this is a BW plus, we would consider staying here again.

Hotel is great, staff brilliant, rooms great, the only issue I had with the hotel was the level of noise, from other residents either leaving the hotel or arriving, due to the locality of Manchester airport, if the hotel could insulate the rooms better that would make the stay perfect.

I had a fantastic room, it was massive but think this was becasue I booked last minute and it was all they had left, it was quite pricey! The reception staff were very friendly and answered all my questions. Room service was good but again a little bit pricey. The only negative was that breakfast starts quite late on the weekend and I had to leave really early so I couldn't get any

We have stayed at the pinewood many times, wether it be visiting family or a base to stay before we go to the airport. We like the hotels modern interior, especially in the restaurant which is always nice for dinner and breakfast. The rooms are always clean, and beds comfy. Staff are professional and friendly! A good all round hotel in South Manchester.

Stayed here for a night in June whilst visiting customers. Food - evening meal and breakfast, both of very good quality and the Malbec is nice to. Rooms - well furnished, modern and extremely comfortable. Had a great nights sleep after a week of travelling. Staff - very polite Only issue was getting my laptop onto the wifi but I think it was the user not the wifi.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, though small basics of cleanliness were missing ie mirror not clean, glass with lipstick mark and coffee mug not clean, bathroom had hairs in bath and floor, wardrobe woodwork dusty. Once they were reported and pointed out to reception, it was immediately corrected by staff. Food was lovely and breakfast excellent.

During a total stay (weekday nights only) covering 170 nights at this address, I have nothing but praise for the whole team. Quality premises, good food, and cheery but sincere personalities. I would not hesitate to recommend this address family, friends or business acquaintances.

Stayed one night hotel was lovely, staff excellent the reception staff really helpful nothing a bother even going for more coffee up to housekeeping, and breakfast staff well organised by head waitress she was very professional and friendly it was busy food excellent rooms immaculate and so comfortable will definitely choose this again if I visit this area again. A pleasent ten minute walk to train into Manchester.

We have just spent three nights at the lovely hotel. Couldnt fault the staff or service. My partner was doing the 10k run in manchester. So only a short train ride away from hotel. The only problem was that the noise and bad language from a guest attending a wedding at the hotel was quite bad. It carried on till early hours of the morning . When we told reception staff the following morning they did appologise and said they had a wedding party in the next night too and it shouldnt be too bad ..... although still noisy there wasnt any foul language ..

We stayed at this lovely hotel the night before our flight to the Maldives and also the night we landed. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we had a lovely spacious room both nights. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel is ideally placed to reach Manchester Airport and would definitely recommend.

Checked in by a pleasant member of staff who arranged for help with our bags, although no trolley's are available perhaps that is something to look at in the future. The room was clean with a queen bed but the window is security wired so will only open a few inches and as there isn't any AC that might be problematic if we get a good summer in Manchester! We booked an evening meal which was nice with plenty of choices for food and drink, after a rested night sleep ( I would ask for a room at the back next time away from the traffic noise, not excessive but nevertheless) we had a buffet breakfast which was freshly cooked and my husband assures me the coffee was really good, check out went just as smoothly and again we were helped with our bags, it is just a short drive to Manchester airport so we arrived refreshed and relaxed.

I stayed here for a night a few weeks ago. The location is very convenient for Manchester Airport, and is a half hour drive from the city. There's local shops and restaurants within walking distance in the village. The receptionists were all really friendly and check in was very quick. My 1st floor room was a little on the small side but was fine for a night. It was well decorated and had plenty of desk and storage space. The bed was comfortable and the ensuite was clean. The bar is reasonably priced, the staff are friendly and the garden is a lovely peaceful place to relax with a drink in the evening. Overall a pleasant stay- I'd happily return if need be (which I'm sure it will!) and the would definitely recommend this BW for a stopover.

An ideal stop over, lovely hotel. Shame about the extreme noise BASE - BANG BANG from a wedding. I would think the thumping noise was exceeding the legal limit. Only consolation was that it finally stopped at midnight. If you have an early flight, check first if there is a wedding going on.

Attended a wedding at this hotel Friday and Saturday night. We arrived on Friday evening and on booking in at reception were told they had an event on. Our room was on the 2nd floor 2 floors up from the event so we would not be disturbed by noise. If the reception staff believe this to be true they must never have stayed in any of their rooms. The noise from the ,event, finally stopped at 1.15 am. That was the time we actually managed to get some sleep. Unfortunately the experience was repeated on the Saturday. We were even further away from the disco but it did not stop the constant drumming. I can only assume that when the rooms were added to the hotel there was inadequate insulation and soundproofing installed. It may be ok midweek but if you are booking with a view to staying prior to a flight from Manchester Airport I strongly advise you enquire if they have any events on that particular evening.

Lots of parking & a warm welcome on arrival. We were advised at check-in of a function that was taking place in the evening, but the receptionist said as we were on the 3rd floor it shouldn't affect us too much. We went out for an evening meal & returned around 21:00 to find the function in full swing. After going up to our room we found it was too warm (it had been a sunny day) so we opened the window. This unfortunately meant we could hear the loud music from the function. So we were left with a dilemma. Have the window open & be unable to sleep because of the noise, or have the window closed & be unable to sleep because the room was too warm. We decided to leave the window open. But we did not expect the function to continue until 02:00! Breakfast was good, but all in all, we did not enjoy our stay as we were unable to sleep. This spoilt what would otherwise be a lovely hotel. We do not plan to return, and based on our experience we will not be recommending this hotel.

This is the second time i have stayed for business . Yuck yuck yuck. Customer service is non existent . I was put in a twin room that was approximately 10 foot by 10 foot . No air con and no opening window . It was a sauna . I asked to chane rooms that one that had adequate ventilation and was told they were all booked up except for one above a function until 1/2 am . I advised I wasn't here for work and needed to sleep and was told tough luck. At 130 pounds for two nights with no breakfast it's too much to ask for sleep. How is this even adequate h&s when the window is locked shut and can't be opens until 8 am , and no air con in a box room which is without exaggeration a sauna . I have pre hooked pinewood best western for several Months stay and will be looking at cancelling . Whatever you do I sincerely advise you don't stay here .. you may be lucky to get one of the rooms that has been done up and has a window or you may not . Apart from that customer services that says at 10pm tough luck is way outnofmoreer !

We stayed here for one night before flying from Manchester on holiday. We would normally stay on the airport but so glad we didn't. This hotel is an absolute gem! We had a fabulous double aspect bedroom in the old part of the building looking out onto the lovely gardens. Our two course evening meal was perfection but wine a little over priced. Breakfast was equally good and the dining room also looks out over the garden. Friendly and helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. We will certainly stay here again next time we travel through Manchester...well worth the extra taxi fare to get here. We feel like we started the holiday from the moment we arrived in the hotel!

Stayed one night here before a flight from Manchester Airport. Booked in for Room Only plus taxi to the airport (15 mins. drive) and back again a week later to retrieve our car. Taxi service very efficient. We had dinner at the hotel. The food was good. Wine fine too, but expensive, but this is par for the course at airport hotels. Our room was fine, but the radiator was horribly noisy and warm, despite being turned off (it was a warm night). I phoned Reception and a member of staff arrived within five minutes. She said she didn't have anyone on site to deal with the fault, but she would move us to another room on the same floor, if that was OK? We were fine with that and the room happened to be an executive room at no extra charge. The member of staff was very helpful and we were impressed with the customer service.

We had our wedding breakfast and evening celebration at The Pinewood on Wilmslow on 30th April 2017. From the first time we went to view the hotel until we booked out we were met with the utmost politeness and professionalism. The staff made our celebration an amazing event by the manner and helpfulness. Our guests stayed over and joined us at breakfast and again the staff were truly helpful. The room for our celebration was beautifully presented and we were able to leave everything to them, leaving us free to party.

Working in Wilmslow for 4 nights so based on reviews, this was one of the places to stay, so I did. Everything was as on the box described, ate in the restaurant very deserved of the 2 rosettes. Wifi great, room decor all good shower pressure could be a bit more stronger for me, but that's just me, all in all a great experience so far. Then Saturday afternoon /night arrives and then it went to s##t. Firstly after working a particularly hard day, was having a quick snooze in the Arvo and off goes the fire alarm, not once twice, 3times and more. In the end, I rang reception and was given an explanation that there was an issue with the ventilation, that's it. My issue is why, didn't the hotel let the guests know via public address system, what was going on instead of me having to ring and find out, the guest across the way, got out the shower ventured into the hallway to find out what was going on, very un professional on all accounts and certainly not the best health and safety practices. This leads on to the highlight of my visit, whilst I fully understand that your venue caters for weddings/events, I can't for the life of me understand why paying customers, and you certainly are not the cheapest option in the area, need to be subjected to hoards of pissed up wedding guest marauding through the hotel, shoe less in a lot of the case, imagine if I had done that on a non wedding night, basically making it like a Friday night in Blackpool. Some one actually spewed up in front of the lift. The noise kept me awake till past 1am, and your answer, two a4 sheets, blue tacced, with a request to try and keep the noise down as guests might trying to sleep Well done chaps, it didn't work and lastly to top it all off, somebody scrapped the side of my van, I'm assuming pissed up trying to get out, but I'm only guessing but a pretty good guess I'm betting. What started as a great visit become a truely awful experience.

If your looking for an airport stop over dont bother with the horrible overpriced hotels round the airport stay here. Lovely tranquil setting, absolutely spotless room, comfortable and modern. Nice well Lovely grounds, this is a really great example of hotel that the owners take a real pride in looking after. Great staff. Only 5 mins to the airport. Nice area with local shops and pubs. Plenty of free parking. Highly recommended.

In short fab hotel amazing food. Comfortable bed and great staff. Lovely gardens at the back to sit in and relax. I only stayed one night but wished is was longer. Very convenient for Manchester city.

Loved this hotel, I booked a superior room with balcony -it was gorgeous! Thoughtfully furnished and stylishly decorated. I had the best nights sleep in the king sized bed. I will be a regular whenever I'm in the area on business! Super standards thank you!

Booked in for a night while attending an event in Manchester. Got to the hotel late in the evening and car park was very busy but lucky its also on the large side so this wasn't an issue. Check in was quick and easy as we had pre-paid. Room was on the 3rd floor and was very nice, clean and tidy. The only small issue was the bathroom was a little too small no bath just a shower (a bath would have not fitted in). However saying that the room was quiet and comfy. Breakfast was nice, lovely sausages and quick service. Overall would happily stay here again, Very nice hotel!

Stay at this hotel whenever I am working in Manchester. Rooms are lovely - well maintained and clean, beds comfortable - great pillows and bedding, food good - always fresh and well cooked, staff great - very helpful. Would suggest you give it a try if staying in the area.

I booked a superior room as I knew our flight would get in late and this hotel looked good and was handy for the airport/our parking. It was our first trip abroad, just the two of us since our honeymoon 20 years earlier and i wanted somewhere nice. The room was lovely and spacious with fruit and bottled water, lovely comfy bed and well fitted bathroom. The cooked breakfast was really tasty, but I have to mention the granola bar where you could mix your own cereal - finally no dried fruit (made me happy anyway). Great staff, clean and comfortable room and lovely food. Finished our short break off perfectly. We've booked again for this year (with the kids this time, wish us luck). Looking forward to another visit.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at this well-situated hotel prior to our flight out to Sicily in July. It's ideal location to the airport, scenic gardens and luxurious, countryside-esque presentation made it a top choice when choosing our pre-flight slumber destination. Being in early holiday mode, we made excessive use of the bar (be warned - bit of a toll on the wallet). The bar area was a very relaxing and friendly environment, consisting of leather sofas and televisions showing live sports. An extensive range of drinks and bar food is also available However, as we were on the liquid tea menu, I couldn't comment on the standard of food. Please note, the reception and bar area were quite rowdy due to a wedding currently taking place (a regular occurrence I'm led to believe). However, if you are wanting a quiet evening, do not let this put you off, you cant hear anything once on the above floors where the rooms are. Following a good skinful and a stagger to the local village for a kebab we retired to the room to get some sleep. The rooms were above-average standard, complete with comfy beds, regular amenities and a pleasant, clean bathroom. If you are wanting a luxury stay ahead of jetting off to a holiday destination, this is definitely worth considering.

We decided to stay here as it was half the price of on airport hotels. Everything was fine with the hotel, the room was comfortable and it wasn't too expensive to get to the airport the following morning. The main issue was that we were in the room next to the lift. Every time the lift arrived it made a loud 'ping' which went on throughout the night. Another issue was that people getting in and out of the lift throughout the night at 1am, 2am, 3am etc. didn't seem to have any awareness of the locality of the bedrooms to it so chatted away at quite a volume. In a normal hotel this probably wouldn't be quite as much of an issue but with this being near the airport people are coming and going at all hours. We had to be up at 4am to get our flight and I felt like I had an hours sleep in total. So overall, I'd recommend this hotel if you want a cheaper night before you fly but if you get to your room and its next to the lift it might be a wise idea to ask to move.

Just back from one night stop over here and have to say had a fab time. The hotel is lovely and spotlessly clean and the gardens are beautiful and lovely to sit in and relax. I didn't eat in hotel but chatting to others there they said the food was very good. If you fancy heading out to eat can recommend the Bulls Head had a wonderful meal here and staff were great. It is only about a 10/15 minute walk from hotel. Will definitely stay here again

I stayed at the Pinewood when in Manchester on business primarily because they were running a special Easter offer of bed and breakfast making this hotel the most competitive in the area. Hotel is close to Manchester airport and the centre of Handforth with its restaurants and shops. There is a large car park and plenty of spaces though those on the far side of the garden require quite a walk to reception. When I arrived I was warmly welcomed and quickly checked in. The reception staff were very friendly and ensured that I was made aware of the busy periods in the restaurant and where all facilities were located. I was allocated an “accessible” room on the third floor that had been recently refurbished. The room was clean and bright with a large double bed covered in the now obligatory array of cushions. The bed was very comfortable with a firm mattress and soft pillows. All the usual facilities for tea and coffee making were provided plus some very nice shortbread biscuits. An iron, and ironing board were tucked away in the wardrobe. Due to the large “accessible shower room with wet area the room was smaller than normal and with the table and armchair a little cramped. There is no air conditioning and heating is from a very effisient electric heater though the control panel is so bright it acts as a night light if left switched on. The shower room was vast with a large wet area for the shower. It was brightly lit with excellent lighting over the mirror and a plentiful supply of toiletries. Towels were large, fluffy and soft. The shower was very inefficient with very low water pressure. Not the best to rinse away the nightime cobwebs. Breakfast was served in the restaurant and for once no issues with toasters as toast and tea or coffee is prepared and brought to your table. However it does mean coffee lovers cannot have the variety that is available from self service machines. There was a good selection of fruits, Kellogs mini pack cereals, fruit juices and cold meats on the buffet. The cooked breakfast was limited to bacon, sausage, egg, saute potato, beans, tomato and mushroom. Scrambled and poached eggs were also on offer. Throughout breakfast the staff were very efficient, quickly clearing away empty plates and offering more toast, tea or coffee. Overall this was a good value stay, though at normal rates there is better value to be found in other local chains. Would I stay again, absolutely as at these rates it is great value, but at normal full price perhaps not.

Clean, spacious rooms, although lacking a bath if that's important to you. Large TV in the room with facilities such as an iron, kettle, safe, hairdryer. A pub, along with a different range of takeaways and restaurants are just a short walk away, if the restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel is too expensive for your liking. You won't find anything such as a gym, pool, spa etc here - but then again, a lot of places don't offer this service. Parking is off road and feels safe and secure. Staff are friendly and make the stay easy. The Metrolink (East Didsbury) is just a 10 minute drive away where you can park for free and jump straight into the centre of Manchester. Would stay again if the correct price became available.

We got married here in Feb. This hotel is clean and modern. The staff are fabulous and the food it spot on. The rooms are amazing, spacious and modernised to a very high spec. We've been back to eat a few times since as the food is so good. It's a wonderful place.

We have stayed here as a couple and loved both the room and the restaurant, but this time booked our daughters in too. We had a room in the new block which was not up to the standard of our previous stay, NO BATH, which was unexpected for the price. The room was also uncomfortably hot with no way to override the safety catch on the window to enable more than a 2 inch opening, and no air conditioning. The restaurant served really good food, but the service was somewhat erratic as they really busy with a wedding and it eventually trailed off completely. We would have liked coffee but everyone had disappeared. It was still a good night's stay but I'm not entirely sure we received the service we expected for the price.

We got married at the end of February and needed a room block for our guests, I dealt with Ruth the Reception Manager and she was just great. Any changes or new bookings she very confirmed them in a prompt manner, also Ruth kindly upgraded our room which meant the morning of our wedding when I was getting ready with family and friends there was plenty of room. On the night before the wedding we also had a nice meal in the restaurant area, breakfast both mornings was very nice too. Thank you Ruth you were fabulous and a credit to the hotel.

Stayed here prior to a meeting I was having in Stockport. I can HONESTLY say it was an absolute delight - from entry to departure. Reception (Sarah?), was welcoming and efficient. The room was slightly on a smaller scale than most hotel rooms, but it was well laid out. Clean and well stocked incl safe. Dinner was DIVINE. I had the burger and truffle & parmesan fries, which I still think and talk about today. Service was also excellent. Nice area to relax with a drink afterwards. Plenty of parking + free WiFi. Exceptional hotel with exceptional food and exceptional staff.

The staff were fantastic and the exterior and reception looked lovely, rooms are slightly outdated and could do with modernisation. Cleanliness was good and shower was old but very powerful. Rub a dub dub Id like a modern tub.

We stayed here because most of the hotels in Manchester were full or ridiculously priced due to the Christmas market and big Mancs vs Arsenal match. A little bit further out than we would have liked for a city visit but great for the airport. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful - a joy to be served by staff from the area as it lends to the sense of place when you're travelling. The decor generally was good, bedrooms well appointed, beds comfy and rooms quiet. I would have liked a hairdryer in the room, but I'm sure reception could have provided one, so a relatively minor point. Breakfast in the morning was of a good standard and the buffet generously provisioned. Would stay here again.

Just returned from a 2 night stay for my best friends wedding can't praise this place enough. Lovely hotel with such a relaxed feel the perfect balance,room was great huge and everything you could ask for we had a family room with bunk beds our girls loved it. Now for the icing on the cake the staff AMAZING really top notch the wedding was perfect went 100% to plan thanks to Lucy you do a fab job nothing was too much trouble you're a true asset to the hotel. The lovely ladies who took care of our rooms were ace too not sure of their names our rooms were 143,128,129 etc thank you all so much we all had a wonderful time. If your thinking of having a celebration or just some time out then you're sure to enjoy this hotel x

Close to the airport, which is why I stayed there. The staff seemed like I was bothering them when checking in or ordering food and drink at the bar. The room was difficult to get to, had to get off on the third floor, go up stairs, down stairs, and finally found my room after a maze of a hallway. Room was VERY small with tiny shower. It was fairly clean.

A 10 minute drive along country lanes from the airport & car hire return, but be careful if driving in rush hour (then you need 25 minutes!). Good rooms, good service. Short 45 minute walk to village with shops and several restaurants.

We needed a place to stay for 2 nights prior to a party in Stockport. This met the bill and more. Although listed as an airport hotel and 15 minutes from the airport you are not aware at all of the planes, nor people coming and going in the night o catch planes. We had one of the third floor new rooms, lovely finish, very comfortable bed and quiet. We had asked on phoning in advance for a quiet room and it was all noted on our reservation. Breakfast good choice hot and cold. Very friendly staff made it a good stay.

We have just had a three night stop at this hotel, and must say what a pleasure it was from the moment we parked the car. Yes a car park with ample space. On getting to reception we were greeted by a lovely warm and friendly receptionist who took care of all the booking in side of the visit. Into the room and what a great feeling of cleanliness and comfort. Superb. Warm and friendly staff throughout with nothing being too much trouble. Public transport into Manchester is virtually right outside the hotel on the other side of the road. It takes about 50min but saves all the parking worries. The one and only downside we could find was the cost of the restaurant. There are other restaurants just down the road in the village of Handforth should you so wish. All in all a very worthy stay. Thanks to all the staff.

Stayed here for one night with a party of delegates visiting the UK. Prior to arrival: Due to the M56 being closed as a result of a bad accident, we arrived about an hour and a half late. During that tortuous journey to the hotel, the front desk staff were excellent in providing information to us about the closing time of the restaurant etc. Location: A bit out of the way, but a nice semi-rural setting; plenty of car parking but not so good for a coach. Check-in and out: Smooth and organised; providing luggage storage for a short period of time etc. Restaurant: Good quality late meal with very good service for a group of people; extensive buffet breakfast. Public areas: Tastefully decorated with a comfortable bar area. Bedroom and bathroom: I was in a standard double and it was comfortable, albeit rather dated. The bathroom had some dubious grouting and mastic work - not up to 4* hotel standard. Our driver was in a single room and he informed me that he struggled to sleep because of the size of the bed. To sum up: The hotel served its purpose well as a last night stop-over before going into Manchester for the day and then flying from Manchester Airport. All members of staff we encountered were polite and friendly and all in all, it turned out to be a good overnight stay.

We stayed here the night before our holiday in October 2016. we found this to be an excellent hotel in every respect. The staff could not be more helpful, and the hotel is very nicely appointed. Our room was clean and comfortable. Although the restaurant and bar looked nice, We did not eat here as we wanted to go into Manchester. We were advised of the location and distance to the train station by the hotel receptionist (10 minute walk). We chose the park and stay option, and paid £108 for the room + 17 nights parking! this price also included a return taxi service to and from the airport. Absolute no brainer if flying from Manchester airport. Highly recommended.

This hotel was perfectly located for our flight out of Manchester airport and close to restaurants. Staff was helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean. The area was quiet and the grounds were lovely. Worth walking around if the weather is pleasant. Plenty of free parking.

We had a lovely looking large room but the noise from a golf club party below was extremely bad. We complained but were told there was nothing they could do. The next day we met a manager and were granted a ~50% refund and told that they had never had any complaints about noise in that room. Looking back through TripAdvisor, we see numerous complaints, so they knew all along that we would have had a problem. They should never have let the room to anyone other than someone attending the party. Even then, they would have been disturbed by staff clearly up afterwards and very loud plumbing sounds.

Our 2nd stay this year...once again a fantastic experience. We were in one of the brand new rooms and absolutely nothing to complain about! Spacious comfortable and well appointed. The best thing about this hotel tho....the staff. Absolutely nothing too much trouble. A brilliant reflection on hotel manager John Scott! Roll on our next stay. Ps. Fantastic breakfasts!!??

What an absolutely perfect day everything ran like clockwork and all the staff were lovely nothing was too much trouble. The family room was great plenty of room and very clean, beds and pillows were very comfy. Breakfast was fabulous so much choice and you could help yourself to as much as you want. All in all a wonderful stay highly recommended ????

Recently stayed in one of the suites of the hotel. Really lovely spacious room with lots of complimentary goods. Had room service from the hotels restaurant, excellent food. Bed really comfortable so really good nights sleep. Good selection for breakfast- cooked breakfast and continental available. Would be nice if breakfast did cater for allergies so for me the selection was slightly limiting. Very friend staff at the hotel and I would stay there again.

I love this place, the staff are so friendly and nothing is to much trouble for them, our room was beautifully decorated and immaculate. John the manager really makes you feel at home. I can't wait to go back. The breakfast is amazing too ! X

Will definitely stay here again. 15 minute drive to the airport. Room was really clean and comfortable. Staff were both friendly and efficient, and we had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Also very good value for money compared to many of the other hotels around the airport. Totally recommend.

This was a real surprise. We had fairly low expectations of a c.£60 per night hotel near an airport, but this place appears to have received a comprehensive re-fit fairly recently and is therefore modern, comfortable and quiet. A ten minute drive to the airport makes it very convenient for an early morning flight, and we will certainly stay again when the need arises. We didn't try the restaurant or breakfast, so can't vouch for either ( though the evening and room service Menes looked fine).

This is a decent hotel, staff are helpful although the layout of the hotel means you dont really get a chance to see them. Its a bit convaluted and hard to find rooms but you get a mix of people there coming for all sorts of different events which makes it fun, the breakfast is nice too. Much better value for money than the more expensive average hotels in Manchester

I needed a comfortable, reasonably priced, easy to find hotel with 24 hour desk, and easy journey to Manchester Airport. The roads around the airport can be horrible in the morning, especially on a Monday. I needed to check in late, park my rental car, check out early, drive to the airport, return my rental car, and get to my terminal with minimal problems. This hotel provided everything I needed. Perfect spot for an early morning drive to airport. Friendly staff, wake up call, tea kettle in room, comfortable, spotless room. good night's sleep ....perfect. (And even a clearly marked route to the airport, and a petrol station en route ....perfect!).

Overnight stay for early flight was not a good experience - no wake up call as requested and WORSE, they sent my taxi away!! I woke by chance at 4.40, rushed down to be told the taxi didn't know the room number so they sent it away. I was not pleased! I did get to the airport later than planned but it was not a good start.

Myself & my mum stopped here for 1 night before our flight the next day from Manchester. The staff were all very polite & helpful. When we arrived and checked in the receptionist said we wasn't booked down for breakfast, having explained that we had already paid for this when booking the room she soon sorted this out for us, I think her name was Kathryn. We had some dinner in the bar area, which was very tasty & a few drinks. There was a wedding on at the time so the atmosphere in the hotel was great. We had a twin room which was perfect for a one night stay, slept well & couldn't hear a sound from any other guests. Breakfast in the morning was buffet style, help yourself. It was great, lots of choice from cereals, continental, to cooked breakfast. Tea, coffee, juice etc. Within the park & fly package we got a twin room, breakfast each, parking for 3 nights & also a taxi to and from the airport, the hotel use a taxi firm called Lynx & they book the taxis for you when you check in. On the morning we checked out waiting for our taxi, after half an hour it still hadn't showed up, reception gave them a ring for us and the taxi firm said they hadn't received a booking for us. Which was a lie as i got a confirmation text through on my phone, however after reception phoning them they sent one out straight away. They was also about 45 minutes late picking us back up from the airport, even after we had rang them to say we had collected our baggage! So the only fault was the taxi firm, the hotel was great & would stay there again!

We stayed overnight as celebrated my friend's wedding here. Was a fab day and night and most of the staff were very very good. John was always checking everything was ok and any issues were resolved quickly. The rooms are spacious and modern and the bed was very comfy. The breakfast was very tasty. Had a fantastic time at the wedding and my little 1 year old daughter enjoyed her stay too!

Me and my new wife Danielle just wanted to say a massive thank you to the Pinewood team. The feedback is a little late but it really was the best day of our lives and the Pinewood did not disappoint us. We had over 100 guests for the day and around 170 total for the evening and everyone we have spoken to since said what a wonderful venue it was and how good the staff were. A special mention to Lucy who co-ordinated the wedding for us on the day and had everything running to a tee and made us feel massively at ease as soon as we arrived. We really cannot fault anything about the hotel from the rooms to the food on the day which was superb. Just wanted to thank John Scott manager at The Pinewood hotel for a fabulous stay food is always amazing and the atmosphere and the staff are all a credit to the hotel . Would always recommend The Pinewood hotel to my friends and family.

I believe in praise where it's due, we stayed overnight for a family visit. From arrival to checkout, this hotel was faultless. Our executive double room was gorgeous with a very comfortable bed..and the little touches were all place for you , pillows were numerous lol and the decor was modern and light....a flat screen on the wall opposite the bed made having a morning cuppa very comfy....a big plus for me was the staff...from night to day the staff were friendly and attentive...breakfast was hot with plenty of choices even though we were almost at the end of breakfast service. Overall I'm very impressed...lovely relaxing overnight stay..

Ample parking on arrival, reception staff friendly, efficient and welcoming, reception area, bar and restaurant warm and comfortable. Had booked a balcony room, not particularly useful in Manchester in October, but would be nice with decent weather. Room large and well equipped and nicely decorated, bed very comfortable, bathroom clean and asthetically pleasing, only negative was the glass shower door which wouldn't stay in position, allowing water to flood the floor

Stayed here before our flight from Manchester Airport, good clean rooms in the new building and we found the staff very friendly and helpful. Didn't use any of the other facilities, including bar or breakfast, so can't comment on these. A word of warning if your planning to leave your car in the car park for a few weeks or so, watch where you park your car and make sure it's not under one of the many trees in the hotel grounds, as you may return to a car covered in leaves and tree sap, and the inevitable clean up job. Perhaps the management could think about bringing this to your attention, by placeing a warning note on the taxi pick-up information sheet that is handed to you at check-in.

It was meant to be a simple overnight stop before our flight. Being a touch delayed we rang in to see if we still had time for dinner. Our experience from Sophie at reception who was super attentive and helpful to Karen the restaurant manager, was first class. Above average food, tasteful well designed bedrooms, attractive surroundings and a 10/15 drive to the airport. On top of that very good value price when we booked. Thanks a great stay to start our holiday. On important point. There are two Best Western hotels in this area with Winslow in the address. Just make sure that your satnav has the correct one. They do weddings.

We booked this hotel very last minute, it was very nice. The room was a little small but cosy. The staff were very nice and extremely helpful they printed off my flight tickets for my flight the following morning. It's about 10minutes from Manchester airport.

We stayed at The Pinewood the night before our holiday flight We arrived at the hotel following a horrendous journey through thunderstorms and torrential rain, indeed the hotel had been flooded at the entrance. On arrival we were told that our room had been upgraded and as this was my birthday this was a lovely surprise. Dinner was lovely apart from my choice had run out. Compensation was a glass of Prosecco for my husband and I. Unfortunately the taxi booked for our transport to the Airport was delayed by 1/2 an hour apparently due to the taxi firm not picking up the email. The staff were lovely, friendly and polite. It would have got 5 stars but for the taxi problems
