    « Best western amazing! »

    On this trip, i'm going with my girl friend visited malang couple days ago, and my trip was amazing!! Best western are the best hotel in malang i think. I wanna say thank you to the housekeeping staff who made our room beutifull with honeymoon decoration and that is surprised my girl friend. Our room was clean, i have arjuna mountain view and that was amazing. But the most entertaint me is the sky room rooftop. I can see the view of malang city in the night. My spagheti was delicious. I would like to say thank you to the all staff who were very kindly and helpfull, especially mbak tiyas (reception) who help me for the check in and take my special request for the room! We'll come back soon!!

    First Time in this hotel for staying with the Holy Destination Group.. beautiful room , all staff having own smile. Thanks for Jaya Front Desk already provide Rose Flower in my room , and for Hapi security already lend his bike to me for looking the Mini mart nearby.. And all staff are awesome ??

    stayed here for 2 nights at june for family trip. These hotel really best atmosphere with a really good competitive price. but unfortunately whe stayed in 10 th floor, there's a bad smell at outside room. i have told this to the front office. The room we've stayed was very clean, and with a good view from window. We tried the rooftop bar, we find this place is so good .

    Someone recommend me this hotel, then i tried it. Actually his recommendation was right. Not dissapointed at all. As my expectation for mid range hotel. Room was good, clear, spacious, and have good city view. The food at breakfast so-so. Okey for the taste and not much variant. The most that i love, they have a bar or lounge at the roof top called Sky Room. Good place with nice view, city of Malang from top. A cozy place that good for hang out.

    I was here for business, the room is ok, with a nice big bed. They have all the facilities.. And i like that in front of my room there's a open meeting area. All was good, location wise also good. I easily took an ojek or taxi to go to nearby restaurants.

    GOOD - 2016 This hotel is fresh and new, very nice bed and clean. BAD - The Hotel failed to arrange the pick up which had been requested. There are many reasons why travellers request such service, and foremost it is because as strangers in this place, we do not want to be giving directions to a driver in a foreign language, let alone having to use google map and data charges in a foreign country which is very expensive. This hotel is new and nobody knows where it is. If the hotel is not going to honour the service, then do not offer it. UGLY, UGLY, UGLY - Do not try to order food or drinks from this hotel, the kitchen and bar are in complete disarray. First they offered some tea and snacks to make for their failure to pick up from the airport. These only arrive an hour later after we enquired about them. Secondly, another mystery surrounds the ordering of dinner and drinks. Ours were only served after a secondary call and going to the kitchen threatening to take the food up myself. Luckily there is a good Asian restaurant next door, you are better off going there.

    Stayed there for a week, the service is good, and it is located at the city center. The breakfast is buffet with wide variance of Indonesian food. The room is okay, too small for me though, and I don't really like the vibrant colors if they can replace it would be better... The gym is too small it is more like a mini gym, but the pool is good and it is an indoor one.

    Highly recommended for both business and family travelers. One of the best Best Western brand hotels. Sky room on rooftop is unique in Malang and has a great view of the city. Very relaxing place. The sitting lounge on 5/f is also great for gathering so ask for a room on 5/f if you want. Properly managed, efficient room design, very clean. Professional and friendly staff and effective service. 10min car from the more touristic part of the city. Gym and pool can be improved. We stay here every time for 1-2 weeks. Will come back.

    Located in quite strategies road, it's easy to find this hotel. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable for sleep, but for me there is one minus point, service provided is not very good, especially the hospitality. Breakfast is very simple, and had mediocre taste.

All of my family enjoy it very much. we also come to roof top restaurant in Hotel and taste some menu over there. unfortunately, for services of roof top restaurant we're not satisfied enough. the services is rather slow

    I stayed 2 nights here for family retreat. I request connecting room and i never expect that i will get it as i stayed during high season. It really surprised me. Everything was great, the room spacious and clean, the staff also friendly and good located hotel The only thing that stop me to give excellent rate only because the breakfast not so great If i have chance, i will stay here again and recommend this hotel for other occasion

    Whenever I come to Malang, I choose to stay here because it is centrally located to wherever I want to go. I once stayed the night here after going to Mt Bromo with friends because of its walking distance location to the Malang Kota Train Station. Then few weeks after, I came back here on the last day of Ramadan with my family. They have great breakfast buffets, great room size (very comfortable and spacious bed too!). Also worth mentioning is that they have great internet speed if you need to do any kind of online business meeting or other work related needs.

    The Hotel has the good standards as Best Western but the room are very spacious and there is also a rooftop bar with nice view. Location is good, maybe Breakfast could have been better for a western (little options unless fully Indonesian) but overall good hotel to be considered, especially for a business trip

    Sadly we didn't opt to stay in this hotel, opting to stay in unfortunately a far inferior one next door, but we food visit this hotel to enjoy the facilities, namely the sky bar on the top floor which boasted amazing views over the whole of Malang, with a Beautiful view of sunset over the distant volcano range. Staff were attentive and polite. Faultless service (apart from lack of Bintang in stock!)

    stayed for a family overnight: spacious rooms, good dining at a correct price. friendly staff, good services. On the minor side: international hotel, so little "local atmosphere". as we arrived at night and left very early, no idea about surroundings.

    Stayed two nights for a business trip. My room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is good, although the selection is limited. Hotel staffs are attentive and friendly. WiFi is fast, stable, and available 24/7. A famous rooftop restaurant is located at this hotel. I did not have dinner there, but the locals I know enjoy the restaurant mostly for the city. I suggest you take taxi or rent a vehicle to move around, as this is not in the middle of tourist attractions. Overall, this is a great hotel for the price. Would consider staying here again next time.

    I goes to this hotel because of the reviewer but what i get is not same with others, i book 2 room in this hotel and i ask for the cold room, but what i get is not as i get, second the roof top is very crowded. And parking place is small. For the breakfast, not many kind of variation for 4 star hotel, and the service is too long. For me is not good.

    « Best Western for the Best Moment »

    Upon arrival time, the bell man who welcomed me seemed like a trainee, so I don't really mind not being helped bringing all the things which coincidentally came with me down from the taxi. Since I arrived a lot earlier (07.50 a.m.), the front desk agent named Amel told me that I couldn't check in and asked me whether I would like to wait and yes, I waited. After a few hours of waiting up to 10.05 a.m. and assumed that they wouldn't bring any welcome drink out for me (that was tolerable remembering that she allowed me to wait in their lobby for that long and -later- allowed me to check in earlier after my long trip from Bali for a visit to my hometown), at 10.10 a.m. I was called and informed that the Deluxe room that I booked was ready and I was allowed to check in earlier. Received the room key card, I was rushing to the elevator on my own with all my stuffs, up to the 9th floor. The Deluxe room was great yet so spacy, it was clean and tidy, created a relaxing atmosphere in such a calming environment with the city view where I could see a line up of mountain there. Overall, everything went very smoothly from here, the room facilities and all the amenities provided were, the breakfast provided on the next day was very satisfying. I also saw the chef checking around and make sure everything about the breakfast was running well as it was expected by himself. Near the noontime around 11.00 a.m., I got a (if I may say, it was a kind, polite, and friendly) courtesy call on my room from the front desk agent named Tyas informing that the check out time would be at 12.00, then I informed her that I got another reservation for that day up to the next day in the Executive Room, after checked, she offered me whether I need help from the bell man to bring my luggage to the Executive Room later when it was ready as well as telling me that she would inform me as soon as possible when the Executive Room was ready. At 12.10 I got another call from Tyas, informing that the Executive Room was ready, then I went down to the lobby to pick up the new room key which already prepared and exchanged it with the previous room key. Checked in to the Executive, the room amazed me and succeeded to get my attention for some moment, not only clean, tidy, and spacious, but the honeymoon flower bed set up was also set along with the Teddy bear as I have given to the housekeeping staff on the previous day made a perfect surprise for my spouse. At the afternoon we went to swim on the swimming pool at the 3rd floor of the hotel, there were some clean towels provided on the table near the swimming pool toilet, the swimming pool size was not too big but clean and the atmosphere there was calming, far from any noises. Until the time I have to go back to Bali and left my hometown, everything was running wonderfully, I did enjoy all the time stayed in this hotel since the first time I stayed during the pre opening up to the day I have to check out on 19 May 2016. There might be few flaws here and there but I believe that there was nothing perfect in this world and those mistook which enabled us to learn how to be better in the future. Keep up the good job, team!

    « A nice hotel...outstanding roof top »

    I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights (29-31 May 2016) with my wife. Despite the fact that they have limited single bed rooms, the BW OJ hotel gave us a wonderful stay. The room was clean and the room service was nice. One spot that guests need to visit is the hotel's roof top which have a great view of Malang at night (too bad they don't open it in the morning). The hotel is located at a strategic location near the city. The food was nice and they changed the menu. One thing that need to be improved (upgraded to be exact) is the pool and room floor. They also need to work on the room soundproof.

    Best Value when you are visiting Malang. I recommend you to pick room at higher floor sou you can see the beautiful scenery of Malang. Mount Kawi & Mount Arjuna at Eastern Side and Mount Bromo & Mount Semeru at West Side. They have restaurant named Skyroom on top floor. The food taste is average but the price relatively cheap, but they offer nice experience if you pick the outdoor area. Overall service is good and i will go to this hotel again when i am visiting Malang.

    Great to stay at this hotel , services was very nice . i went to malang with my parents because we had an invitation for opening st**b**ks in malang . i choose Best western because my friend recomend this hotel . they told us about skyroom . and really , the skyroom cafe was very beautiful scenery , located on 12 floor . very high !! and very cold in the night . prepare your jacket , but we dont have a time to enjoy the facility because very busy , and we have to check out earlier because we get the first flight . and frontline staff , they offering us for breakfast box , and wake up call . PERFECT !!! its just a simple things , but sometimes hotel staff forget to offer that facility . will come back soon ..

    i have stayed in BW for 3 nights, since 6-9 March 2016. first, the room size is quite big for my family (i have 1 toodler who like walking around) and suprisingly, the room is the same with the picture i have seen before (usually between picture and reality are not the same ). breakfast is so so. we had same menu for 3 days in a row. location is quite good. staffs are very helpful and friendly. keep the good works guys :) maybe i will stay again next time.

    i just know this 4 star hotel from my wife , and we try to check in 2 day's ago . first time we arrived here , the staff are very helpfull , they help us to bring our heavy luggage . very friendly , and smiley ! and the check in process was very easy and fast because we are very tired. i just feels like home . we went to sky room in the night and there are live music , we can enjoy the music and food not so expensive but tastefull . recomended skyroom outdoor side . and choose 5 floor , they provide us free evening tea . i will come back as soon as possible . with my family

    « Nice hotel poor restaurant »

    The hotel is noce and clean and staff helpful. However when we decided to have lunch on the 12th floor as it was raining outside we were disappointed. Service was slow, and the kitchen even slower. As if they had to wake up the cook. Food was also so-so. Salad was good,, the pasta small in size. The oxtail soup ok, but the oxtail soup with fried meat (sup buntut goreng) came without soup. On the positive side the breakfast had a rich choice of Indonesian food.

    Best Western OJ Hotel is situated in the heart of Malang city. The lobby is small and modest, so is the coffee shop.When I checked in I ask for an upgrade of my room and have no problem. and it is surely a speedy check in. Staff is polite too. Price is fair for the room. they gave me a spacious room and also comfortable bed. but unfortunately they don't have a nice view. also a wall was erected in front of the bed, so the window was blocked. personally I prefer the view from my bed. (although it is only rooftop :) for the view). they have the rooftop outdoor restaurant where we can view surrounding from 12th floor. there is live music where we can sing along with the accoustic band if we want to. it is quite a crows at nite. but the food is not as good as the venue. and the staffs too busy fooling around themselves and makes lots of noises too. the attention for the guests was neglected. maybe the management should do something about this indoor swimming pool available, but the location is quite remote as we have to pass by rows of unattended spaces. there is really nothing special about the swimming pool.. so If you are business traveller, where you don't expect much of the facilities, this hotel should be your choice, if you are travelling with family or leisure, I suggested another hotel.

    Due to flight cancellation i have to extend my stay in Malang. Simply pick this hotel and it's worth to value. Spacious room with flat tv, clean and comfy, friendly staff. My room also equipped with iPhone docking through i'm not sure if it's working with the latest iPhone series. If you stay in Malang this is one of the good place where you can enjoy your evening sunset dinner from hotel rooftop, the view is extraordinary and best place to taking picture of Malang. The BBQ dinner are ok and meal taste elevated when you enjoying your meal with the beautiful city view. The cons is (in my case) you need to be early for breakfast, at 8AM most of the food in buffet are empty and seems they don't add more food, after waiting for 30 minutes more we did not see the FB adding more food  so we decide to look for other place for breakfast.

    Quiet simply one of the best best western hotels I have stayed in. The hotel is not too far from the train station and the airport so location is pretty good. I based myself there for hiking in Taman national park area so I found it a good location. The facilities in the hotel are close to 4-5 star standard but the prices were very reasonable. The rooms were nice, modern and clean - I was impressed. There's a really nice atrium area with a bar and an excellent coffee selection. I really enjoyed sitting out there and enjoy the cup of nice coffee. Overall I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to anyone. The hotel is suitable for any kind of traveler.

    Located in central state malang (tugu malang). In my opinion, i think this hotel can predicated good budget hotel. The room is so good. Have a pool. Have a good view also. Bathroom also good. Overall worth to value for money.

    I booked 2 rooms for 3 nights for business. Pleasant and clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staffs. They prepared my room on time, i even can check in half an hour faster than scheduled. Good foods on breakfast. warm welcome with warm smiles. i would love to stay more and more. On check out, i forgot my laptop mouse. They checked and directly delivered it to me in the lobby.

    I dont have any complaints about the room and the staff. Since I stayed there for business, the meeting room definitely needs improvement. The lights was not okay, the room was not suitable for big meeting. The food needs more variations if I may give suggestion. However, the location is perfect.

    « "NEED IMPROVEMENT" »

    Here are our overview after 6 night stay at BW OJ : 1. Front office staff are very helpful and friendly 2. Our room 503 got Bromo Mountain View 3. No bathrobes in the room 4. TV reception was very poor but doesn't matter for us 5. 3 years old hotel but 1 of our drawer was broken 6. The floor in the shower room was very slippery 7. The wall very thin. We can hear next door talking, walking, flush toilet when they watch TV at 4 o'clock in the morning. Just be careful when you want to talk something secret, neighbor can hear you. 8. In front of our room ( 503 ) there's a bar. When people sit there have a drink and talk you will hear all the noise from outside. ( strange design hotel). 9.Tiny bathroom like budget hotel 10. We ate dinner twice at sky room, food was superb. Love the rendang pizza 11. Most of the juice and food we want to order are not available at sky room. They should cross or remove. There are long list of juice, but only 2 juice available. There are so many food menu, but they don't even have nasi goreng to order. 12. We want to joint valentine gala dinner. We got information that we can make reservation direct to restaurant or front desk. But when we try to make reservation at FO, they said we only can make reservation to the admin not at the reception. But once we spoke to "YUAN" she made us really confused.She gave us different information. She told us the gala dinner would be buffet etc which we got told before is set menu. If she don't know anything about the gala dinner is okay to tell us. So when gala dinner start, 6 of us got the same appetizer( when we booked we request 3 chicken and 3 shrimp). After appetizer 4 of us got the soup and ate finish. But 2 of us waited for 30 minutes the soup didn't show up. When we check with the waitress they said the run out of soup. Unbelievable ....!! They set all the menu, so they should have enough for all of guest who has made reservation. In this even was not that many table, but the staff running around busy. So honestly,,,we are not really happy with the valentine gala dinner. 12. Breakfast was average. Everyday during 6 days of our stay, they serve an old salad. Lettuce was yellow, slice cucumber and carrot was like 5 days old and capsicum was slimy. Juice wasn't taste good. Drinking water was taste like guava juice. Papaya was cut in really small slice and hard to take from the plate. I really wish the management will change the breakfast. We knew most of the guest are Indonesian, but there are still some foreigner guest. As Best Western OJ is a group hotel, you should provide good quality of food. 12. Staff in the restaurant need to be more active. They seem like they are all not happy. I really don't like to leave a bad comment in any hotel we used to stay, but what I always wrote are something for the management need to know for improvement. management will not know without guest comment.

    « Good hotel in Malang near to Train Station »

    I booked two night at BW OJ Malang, the good news was that I can check in and occupied the room early, which is very good as I just had 15 hours travel by train and I came to the hotel with my 11 months baby. But no welcome greeting no one open the doors for me, no one take my suitcase even though they saw me and my wife heavily lift the suitcase. the room is comfy and good, but the toilet shower seem to be leak so it makes my bathroom wet. The restaurant is good, food also good. the pool is big no no as it is semi indoor pool and next to meeting room Metered taxi available in front the hotel. the hotel building is new but too many Chinese influent to this hotel, is not CNY it's nearly Xmas.

    Pros : Spacious room, complete amenities, good breakfast selection, attentive staffs Cons : Poor TV reception with very limited channels, I have reported this the minute I checked into the room and they said they were having maintenance that would take about 15 mins but there was no improvement until the day I checked out. The big TV is such a waste. I also don't like the design of the hotel building. It has a space in the middle (mezzanine) which allows noise to echo all over the building. You can hear all the noise, door shutting, kids screaming. Just not an ideal place to have a quiet moment. The room rate is also quite high compared to the other hotel in the area. We had to stay in that hotel due to family emergency during the NY, so we didn't get much of an option. Otherwise, I would prefer to stay somewhere else. Being a 3 star hotel, the hotel needs a lot of improvement.

    Positives: 1. Strategic location, just off the main Surabaya-Malang road in the center of town. 2. Capacious, brightly light car park, a rarity among hotels in smaller Java cities where parking often meant leaving your car on the street. 3. Atrium arrangement of rooms feels fresh, airy and safe. Negatives: 1. Breakfast menu: aside from the excellent egg station, western choices were very limited 2. Breakfast service: lazy staff seems to only clear tables in bulk two or three times during the entire breakfast session, maybe to minimize time spent working. This left the breakfast area an unsightly mess, those joining breakfast late found it difficult to find seats. Service at breakfast slow and indifferent, in contrast to dinner in the same restaurant and generally good service elsewhere in hotel Trivia: 1. The "OJ" in the hotel name stands not for "Orange Juice" but an abbreviation for "Old Java", so the staff told us 2. There is a good cake shop across the street, as well as a decent selection of warungs

    Nice hotel.... Bed is very comfortable but still queen size, tv program its only 22 chanel and not in good signal, room is very clean, lightning is in good position. Its only shower there is no bathtub in there. Breakfast food is so delicious, and the staff is nice But overall this hotel is nice, we'll stay there again when we go to malang.

    « Very dirty, because of using its towel, i got allergic »

    Very not recommended!!! 1. I order from Panorama Tour Single Bed, when I come they wanna provide me a Twin Shared Room by a reason based on availability room when checked in. I complaint because it is written that I will get Single Bed room and the reason is rejected by me because it is only written about availability of King Size Bed, not for option of Single or Twin. 2. Only 1 card room is provided. When I ask for my second card room, front office said that she only can give me one card room because it is limited. I complaint because usually Hotel with 4 Star rating always gives me 2 card room. I need 2 because sometimes technical problem might be happened, so I need another one. 3. Towels are dirty. After taking a bath, I get allergy suddenly. It is very big problem for me. I never get allergy even I stay on 3 stars Hotel. This is my first time get allergy when living in hotel. Very annoying me, in addition I need to present on office event tomorrow.

    We used to wait about 4hrs bcause we came early, but thats alright. Nice hotel in main area, good staffs and good breakfast. The room is big. The bar really cozy. Also easy to get local restaurant in area. Worth the price :)

    Reasonably comfortable hotel that stay, Friendly staff, fast wifi, clean rooms, only less varied breakfast menu, a great view of the sky dining restaurants lt 12, such as a hill stars at night, menu in cable TV is also a lot less but still ok.

    Comfort room with high speed internet free access. They have so minimalize amenities, no liquid soap, sanitary bag, comb, shower cap, cotton bud etc. The gym was so small, only 3 equipment available. Certainly no sweat you can gain from here. Skyroom lounge at 12th floor was great. Nice atmosphere with city view. Nice coctail served and you must try the 'banana platter', its so yummy.

    everything is okay with this hotel, except the WiFi. i was staying there for 3 night and the WiFi never worked, it can be frustrating if you are staying there on business travel. they have very nice rooftop cafe and i love it ! the apple pie is yummy !

    The hotel was good, a comfy and spacious room with two single bed, flat screen TV, clean bathroom with towels, and complimentary tea and coffee drink. At the ground floor there is a good restaurant with a nice self service breakfast. The location is not too far from City Centre and Train Station. At the top floor, the 12th floor the Hotel have another Restaurant/Bar with open space to see the city from the height. Swimming Pool available at the 3rd floor, parking spaces available at 1st and 2nd floors. Bedroom located between 5th to 11th floors. One Cons is the two lifts available are too slow (under capacity) during the peak season or weekend, sometime guests are wait too long, and the stair is not properly functioned because it goes to the Front Office instead to the Public Ground Floor. Anyway, it is a good hotel, in our preference list when visit and stay in Malang.

    Simple design hotel. Size of the room and TV was truly value for money. Cleanliness and maintence should obviously be improved. Reception staff could have been more helpul. Breakfast was so so. No, they have not done anything yet with the murky water at the simming pool.

    The rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and smily. The hotel has restaurant/bar on the roof top which offers a nice panoramic view. The terrace is a lot better than the restaurant indoor but unfortunately they weren't capable of providing us with many drinks on their menu. We had massages in their spa which is actually a room in... the garage on the second floor. The massages were really good and the lady very sweet though but "spa" isn't really the adequate term according to me. Dinner was acceptable but nothing extraordinary and breakfast was quite good comparing to other hotels here in Indonesia (we had viennoiseries, cereals, good bread...).

    I had chances to stay for 2 nights while resting from trip business trip on wheels. Too bad the music was loud which can be heard for the room, also I heard loud conversation from the room next to mine. I ordered room service for both nights and it took quite long until it arrived. They forgot the condiment I specifically ask on my first order (they sent it later, after my meal was finished). I didn't try the breakfast. The room was famous for its rooftop restaurant at 12th floor, probably that was the reason I can heard it from my room (on 6th floor). The room was not big (I don't think it can accommodate extra bed), but the TV is definitely bigger than standard TV in most hotel.

·From: Abdul Rachman Airport. From Abdul Rachman Saleh Airport go to the east side, then turn right to Jalan Asri Katon and go straight to Jalan Laksmana Adi Sucipto. Turn left to Jalan Jenderal Ahmad Yani. After the fourth traffic lamp turn left to Jalan DR Cipto and the BEST WESTERN OJ Hotel is on the left side.
