    « Great stay n service »

This was a great stay excellent service. Very clean and accommodating! Went to badger game and had transportation to n from game. Everyone very friendly and caring. Breakfast was phenomenal with many choices to choose from

    « Badger Game Stay »

I stayed at this hotel as we were attending the Badger game. The staff was great, the hotel was clean, the breakfast is excellent with lots of options. My only comment is that the bathroom is small and the door bangs into the toilet. Secondly, the pizza in the restaurant was terrible.

    « Nice place »

We stayed here on Saturday night after the Gopher/Badger football game. Nice hotel. We had a king bed. The room was on the small side but everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic. We visit Madison often and will stay here again!

    « Accomodations »

Excellent place to stay. Rooms were in excellent shape. Complimentary Breakfast was super. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who has family at the UW Hospital near by. It was a 10 minute walk to the hospital.

« Thanksgiving in Madison, WI »

We have traveled to Madison for the past four years and been staying at the Best Western Inntowner since. We are extremely satisfied with the accommodations and amenities this hotel has to offer. The location is also excellent as it is close to the downtown area, the airport and to where our daughter lives!

    5
    « Holiday »

This was a trip to visit family who live nearby. It was associated with the annual Thanksgiving break. I found the Hotel quiet and comfortable with an excellent breakfast. It has become the hotel we use when we visit Madison several times a year. We live 75 miles distance so visits to Madison with hotel use are infrequent.

« Great Renovation, Super Convenient to UW Hospital »

Very nice job renovating what has to be an older property. This hotel is less than 5 minutes from the UW Hospital and has a free shuttle back and forth. Our room was clean and quiet and equipped with a large flat screen tv, microwave, and refrigerator. The only downside was the height of the bed (way too high). The restaurant menu is quite limited but the food was excellent as was the free breakfast buffet featuring freshly scrambled eggs and many other entrees.

    « Badger Reunion »

This location isn't walking distance for a night game at Camp Randall for the average "boomer". The staff were all accommodating. For $200/night on football weekends, this property should have its Club Room cleaned up and available for people to use. Our room was on the Campus Drive side of the building, which was very noisy. Ask for a room facing inward to the old University Ave.

« GOOD HOTEL NEAR HOSPITAL AREA »

Well we stayed at this hotel for one night last week due to my daughter had an interview at University of Wisconsin for Internal Medicine Residence Position and the whole experience was good , excellent staff service , free parking and breakfast and comfortable room for our nightly stayed. The hotel is around 5 minutes in car to the University Hospital and also had few good restaurants very closely and we enjoyed this place during our visit pregame Wisconsin vs Illinois weekend extravaganza .

« Better than we expected »

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The bed was VERY comfortable and the room was quiet even on a UW football game night. The room had a large HDTV. Service at the front desk, bar, restaurant and housekeeping was very good. The only complaint is that it took several minutes to find a parking spot. The hotel was full or close to it because of the game and that caused the lot to be full.

« Mostly good but a few things could be better »

Great location for access to the UW hospital. Rooms have undergone a huge makeover and have many nice amenities. Major complaint was in room Internet. Had to go into the lobby, lounge or restaurant to get a decent connection. Restaurant is adequate if eating "in" is necessary but many good eating choices nearby.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

This hotel is beautiful place to stay. Courteous and helpful employees! Handy if you need to use the UW Hospital. Looks great on the outside and the rooms are spacious and CLEAN on the inside! Quality for the price! Comfortable beds.

« The nicest staff ever!! »

I can't say enough about the staff at this hotel. Matteo checked me in and I was very distraught. I had bought the night from priceline thinking that it was downtown and very near my daughter. It turned out that the hotel was on the far end of campus and several miles from downtown. I called Priceline to get a refund to which they denied me. I went up to the front desk and Matteo told me that it was going to be ok and that they would help me. They gave me a beautiful room with a king bed in the quiet part of the hotel. Also, Matteo scheduled the shuttle for me to drive me downtown to see my daughter and pick me up and drive me to the airport the next day. Dennis, the shuttle driver was tremendously kind and told me that he would work past his time if I needed a drive back to the hotel after 10:45 PM which was the end of his shift. The breakfast is lovely with real china and fresh fruit. The housekeeping staff are smiley and friendly. I will stay again for sure. Thank you so much for your kindess.

« Good stay after a campus visit »

I have been to this place twice while visiting the University of Wisconsin-Madison. And my second visit was as good as the first!. The hotel is impeccably clean, it has a nice restaurant where you can have lunch dinner and of course breakfast, and the rooms are modern midsize and both the room and the bathrooms were very clean. This is a good place to stay close to the university.

    5
« UW Madison Hospital friendly »

Within 4 blocks of hospital.....with free transport available (did not use)...clean....friendly staff...nice rooms....would be a great place to stay even if not using on hospital stay. UW hospital system also gives a reduced rate for stay....check into it if using with a hospital stay.

    « June 2016 Wedding & Reception »

When we first told people that we were having our wedding at the Best Western Plus InnTowner in Madison, some of them were sceptical. However, the InnTowner is NOT your average Best Western! All of the banquet staff went above and beyond, exceeding our expectations. As a same-sex couple, we needed to be sure that the hotel we chose was accepting and respectful, and the InnTowner has supported the LGBTQ population in Madison for years. We held our ceremony in one of the smaller rooms, which was set up and we decorated, while the reception was held in the large ballroom. Everything was perfect, from the table settings to the bartending. Our guests raved about the buffet, which included fresh steamed vegetables, chicken marsala, vegetarian lasagna, and roasted prime rib. Lauren, the Banquet Coordinator, went above her call of duty helping out with logistics; she even dismissed rows after our ceremony and delivered our gifts to our suite (which was included in the package!). When she saw that a table skirt has a stain on it--right before guests started to arrive--she swapped out the skirt for a clean one! It's that type of attention to detail that really makes Lauren a special addition to the InnTowner team. In retrospect, from enjoying the pool to having close friends and family down the hall, we are so happy we chose the Best Western Plus InnTowner. Considering the great price and the superb job everyone did, we couldn't have asked for a better venue to host our ceremony and reception!

    « Wisconsin football game »

Great Hotel and friendly service, especially by William the bartender. Able to walk to Camp Randall for the football game. Shuttle service to State Street and bus service to football game. Friendly and accommodating staff.

« Great location to UW Hospital »

I was very pleased with my stay at the Inntowner, with one major exception. The in-room WiFi was terrible. I had to go to the lobby area to get a good enough signal to get my work done, and my son had a difficult time doing his school work. Room was comfortable, the breakfast was good and we had appetizers in the bar that were also good. The bartender was fantastic.

« Unable to use bathroom »

I had reservations for a wheelchair accessible room at the Best Western Plus InnTowner Hotel Sept. 21 and 22, 2016. I was appalled to find the bathroom was in now way wheelchair accessible. Grab bars are installed around the toilet that are BLOCK access to the toilet for a person who uses a wheelchair 100% of the time and cannot stand, as in my case. The only way a person in a wheelchair could use that toilet was to sit sideways with one leg thru the bar and the other leg on the other side of the bar. The bars on either side of the front of the toilet that go down to the sides prevent a wheelchair from getting close enough. The door to the bathroom opens inward and covers most of the shower area, actually hitting the seat and not allowing space between it and the bars around the toilet to permit access. I was not able to use the shower, and even worse, I had to go downstairs to the public area to use the toilet, this is totally unacceptable and not in compliance with ADA regulations. I was unable to find another hotel with a wheelchair accessible room. It was Parents' Weekend at the University and all hotels I called had no openings.

    « UW Health Visit »

This hotel is very convenient. they have handicap rooms and free transportation to and from the hospital. A free Breakfast buffet is included in the price of the room. They will also transport you to most restaurants and shopping in the Madison area.

    « Parent's Weekend »

Great Hotel to visit our student at the University of Wisconsin. Great parking and breakfast. Can walk to campus (a little far) but they have a shuttle if you book it far in advance. Rooms are very quiet and beds are ok. A little far from restaurants and State Street stores, but good location overall.

    4
« Clean sheet and Nice stuff »

I stayed two nights for a meeting. The room is clean and quiet so I got a very good sleep, which is very important to me. Breakfast is decent and stuff are nice. Only thing is the parking lot is small, and need to be careful when doing u-turn.

    5
« Great place to stay for bicycling! »

We came to visit Madison, Wisconsin, for the bicycling. Madison is rated the most bicycle-friendly city east of the Rockies, and we learned why. This hotel is located within blocks of many bike paths, routes, boulevards, and bike shops, so we didn't need to drive anywhere. We just got on our bikes and toured the city and the university. The accommodations at the hotel were excellent!

    « Good- mostly. »

Room was clean. Super close to UW health with great shuttle service. Good restaurant and bar. Clean inviting lobby. Popcorn in the afternoon is a nice touch, as is free breakfast. My shower had an issue where the water cold and hot markings were reversed but once I figured it out, it was fine. Also, my door didn't close automatically behind me all the way and the deadbolt was a little loose. I only noticed because I'm a female traveling alone so I always check. Also every day when I got back, there was toilet paper in the toilet... not sure what the deal was there. Not gross, just odd. The bed was super comfy and clean. I loved the recliner and desk for working and the wifi works great. I definitely would stay again. Told the front desk about the plumbing, door, and to issue on check out and they were very apologetic. Good customer service.

    4
    « Good and clean »

The room was very tidied up, nice beds and helpful staf. The internet and and the connection with my cellphone was useless.I didn´t like the breakfast because there was just one type of bread and scarse with yoghurt and fruit.

    5
« Best Western Plu Inn Tower »

Excellent! The staff went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The room smelled fresh and was top-notch clean. The check-in process was simple and pleasant staff. The restaurant on site was excellent and not too pricey. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding and it wasn't your typical complimentary breakfast and it a nice spread.

    2
    « Lack of Professionalism »

From check-in to room cleanliness and items working properly - not a good place to stay for the $$$$ you spend. Front desk young gentlemen was rude, dressed inappropriately and lacked overall professionalism. The room had dysfunctional lighting, non working air conditioner and a refrigerator that was frosted over and was not working either. The shuttle service, although free - was frequently late and exceeded long waits for them to arrive. Elevator was cluttered with paper and debris that had not been cleaned up and the check-out was assumed that I did not want a paper copy and didn't even offer express check-out.

    5
    « Best of Madison »

Love this hotel! The location is perfect. The staff is friendly staff. The rooms are beautiful. If you're visiting the University of Wisconsin, this is the perfect spot for you. The hotel is located in a cute neighborhood and it's very easy to get over to campus.

    2
    « Treadmill Nightmare »

One of the worst nights at any hotel in the last 20 years. Room backed up to the fitness center (Room 147) and when the treadmill was used it sounded like someone was pounding on our wall all of the treadmill duration. Morning and night! This room should be OFF LIMITS for customers!

    4
« Close to UW Hospital and Excellent Service »

The rooms were large and extremely clean. Keurig, microwave, refrigerator. Free shuttle to UW hospital, if needed. Restaurant in the hotel was very good but not open for lunch. The room price very reasonable. Breakfast is not included. Staff very pleasant. My only complaint is the free wifi had limited connectivity. I would definitely recommend.

« Good location to college and hospital »

We were not concerned about being near the college, but as it turns out that the hotel is very close to the college campus. This became an asset to take advantage of the shops and restaurants in the area. There is a nice selection of these close by to the hotel. The staff was not really "warm" at check-in. They have quite a varied amount of customers. We noticed that there is a hospital nearby that customers will then utilize when family is admitted to that hospital. The staff needs to be able to accommodate everyone.

    3
« Close to UW Madison Hospital and clinics »

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights while my spouse was in hospital. Two best things about the hotel.... Free Breakfast buffet and within walking distance/short drive to hospital. The room was quiet with a nice shower. Bed was okay. Toilet was needing some maintenance as it was rocky when sitting. Staff was helpful and they had cold water and coffee available 24/7 in their lobby. Biggest negative was realizing that the floor was not vacuumed very well as I found something on the floor on the 4th day that would have had to been there from the 1st day. Overall, I give this hotel a 3.5. I would stay there again due to its location.

« Ready for an unfriendly and rude welcome stay here »

Haven't even gotten out of the lobby and I can tell it's going be a bad stay. Didn't get a hello how can I help you from this lady at the front desk, nothing. I knew we were early but thought we'd try and check in anyway. Right away she started with we can pre register you but that's all. Ok fine I thought .... I asked if we could possibly change to double beds instead of kings and before really even acting like she looked...'nope we are completely booked' not a sorry, a smile, nothing. Then she gave us s parking pass and I said we have two cars could I get another? 'Nope we only give out one'. Without offering any options or saying sorry we aren't able to for whatever reason nothing! So I ask if there are other places to park and she said sure there are slot of areas thru out Madison and I felt almost that it was hard for her to offer up the sheet and explain the options. I just looked at her and really wanted to ask why she works in a customer facing job if she doesn't smile ask how you are and want to help people but I didn't I just walked out with the one pass and nothing to really show that we pre registered for our room. Not all that excited to go back there but hopefully she'll be gone or we won't have to deal with her. I'll update my post if things get better.....hope I do!!!!

« Great place to stay »

Very friendly, competent and helpful staff; hot tub and small but nice pool for relaxing; quiet; excellent breakfast; great location for business with the university hospital. Good quality little restaurant on premisses. We will definitely come back ther for any business in Madison, Wisconsin.

    5
« Great stay with minor problems »

The handicap accessible room worked perfectly for my husband's needs, with a shower seat built into the wall. However, we had to call for extra towels because there were only 3 bath towels for 2 adults; good thing we did, because the accessible shower allows water to run all over the bathroom floor (hazardous). The iHome unit is obsolete (works with iPhone 4 but not 5 and newer). The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were not; they were too soft. The refrigerator was not cold (perhaps not plugged in?). Aside from all of this, we were extremely happy with the room in general; problems were trivial. Shuttle to hospital is wonderful.

    5
« Very Nice Hotel for the Price »

I will definitely stay again! Very helpful staff, clean facilities. My room was quiet and was located close to an exit. I was not there long enough to eat the breakfast, but is included in the cost of the room. Parking can be cramped there.

    5
« Great hotel, great staff »

We checked in on 9/3 and departed on 9/5. Room was very clean and nicely maintained. AM breakfast buffet was delicious, and well stocked all the time we were there. All of the food & beverage staff that we encountered were extremely helpful, polite and friendly. We will definitely be back!!

« Wonderful stay at nicely renovated hotel very close to UW hospital, Lake Mendota, and walk/bike trails »

Having spent 8 nights I had numerous positive interactions with many employees in all the departments: front desk, restaurant, housekeeping, and shuttle drivers. Alycia, Chrissy, and Mateo at the front desk were very welcoming, helpful, and accommodating with regards to my numerous questions, requests, and shuttle drives. The shuttle drivers were all very friendly, accommodating, and timely. Breakfast was excellent with regards to the food quality and the service was top notch. Ricardo and Maria gave VIP service to me and all the other guests. I met the restaurant manager, Freddit, and complemented him on the quality of the food; he has a very positive relationship with his staff. In totality, a very memorable stay, with excellent service; I stay at hotels of all levels most weekends of the year and this has to be one of the best stays based on level of service. I cannot wait to visity beautiful Madison and the University of Wisconsin again.

    4
« great location, great staff, small room »

room was smaller than expected, can barely fit between bed and cabinet. Breakfast was awesome buffet. Shuttle drivers were very courteous, taking us to Memorial Union Terrace. Location was great, close enough to campus but far enough to not be too noisy and distracting. Parking was not a problem using pass provided.

    4
    « Good Hotel »

Good location to UW with excellent staff and service, but poor internet. I recommend this hotel for families coming to the university to see the students and staff. Beds are below average, but very convenient to the UW. The hotel is large and parking is adequate.

« Nicer on the inside »

This hotel may not look like a typical hotel on the outside but the rooms and amenities are quite nice. The lobby is small, but clean and nice. I'd say the same for the pool, small but nice. One of the best things is that the rooms were quiet. We found out there was a bachelor party using 4 rooms on our floor, and we didn't hear a peep. The king room with whirlpool was spacious and the decor quite nice. It was very clean and the jacuzzi worked. The bed was quite comfortable. Two refrigerator and two televisions were great to have. A few minor problems with a light not working over the jacuzzi and the exhaust fan not working in the bathroom.. The refrigerator somewhat cockeyed and a foot stool worn out. Shower pressure was weak, a water saving feature I'm sure. And the toilet was loose and wobbled. With a few touch ups, this room would be excellent.

« Great Place to Stay While Family at VA/UW Hospital »

Great value and proximity to hospital. There is a "hospital Rate" and the stay includes breakfast and shuttle to the hospitals so the value is excellent. The walk to the hospitals is about 10 min. max, so it's easy to walk if you are able. Front desk staff were extremely accommodating when we weren't sure when we were going to check out. Fitness center is small, but has pretty much all you need and pool area is small, but was never that busy. Rooms are nicely decorated and have a microwave, coffee maker and fridge. Breakfast was eggs/bacon or sausage, hashbrowns, pancakes, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt/fruit and pastry, with all the standard juices/coffee. Eggs aren't great, but adequate. The bar area is nice and the bartender was generally attentive and very friendly. Dinner menu is varied and pretty good, but a bit pricey. There aren't many restaurants in the area, Oliver's (pretty good, excellent desserts), a pricey Italian restaurant and a pub. You will need to drive if you want to go to Target. State Street area is about a 30 min. walk. The parking lot is a bit cramped, but we always found a spot.

    4
    « Hotel »

Stayed for one night. Very nice people work there. Nice amenities such as pool, spa, beds, and etc... Breakfast was an all you could eat buffet with many choices for food. Rooms were nicely set up with everything in the room.

    « Good Value »

We stayed here for four nights while attending USPSA match and visiting family. We found the motel to be clean, convenient and with the free breakfast a good value. They also offer free shuttle service to campus and downtown so you don't have to drive and deal with parking. Would return in a heartbeat!

    4
« Good location -Shuttle Service »

Picked up at airport. Room very comfortable. Breakfast sufficient, not superb, but other options close or by shuttle. Shuttle took me to my destination each day or close enough to walk. There is a mall close with movies and restaurants. Pleasant shuttle drivers and staff. I would return.

    « We'll Stay again »

We stayed at the BW InnTowner on a Saturday night. The hotel sold out so the parking lot was almost complete full. Madison is a liberal mid-size midwestern city so not only were the staff very friendly but all the other that I talked to were very friendly too. The InnTowner must have been renovated a few years ago because it is in very good shape. Like most BW Pluses, that we have stayed in, the king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but more than adequate. The room was roomy and made up very nice. We usually look for motel/hotels with swimming pools, free wifi and free breakfasts. All three of these were exceptional at the InnTowner. The only item that we found irritating and in need of repair was a ceiling exhausting in the swimming area. The fan had high pitch whine that made carrying on a quiet conversation nearly impossible. The warm pool water more than made up for noise. Nice weight room and business center. The bar was small but nice.

    3
« Good location, good hotel »

This hotel was clean, well-staffed and comfortable. Rooms recently refurbished. The breakfast was ok - coffee was weak. Within walking distance of university and hospitals for those with business there. Would stay again if needed - good value.

    4
    « Near Hospital »

We recently stayed at that Best Western located near the UW Madison hospital. The staff was very friendly, the shuttle very convenient, the rooms very comfortable, an overall great experience. It was a safe environment. The morning continental breakfast was nice as well. I like the free morning USA today paper in the lobby along with the refreshments. A nice small bar area was there as well.

    « Thank You »

I have stayed at this location over 20 plus times in the pass year on business. I must say I am always pleased with the accommodations and the staff. If I encounter any issue they would make sure I was satisfied. Cassandra S., Lisa K, Thelma R., Andy S.,Todd C. are truly the best and I hold them with high regard. I appreciate the entire staff that work so hard to create a pleasant atmosphere. M. W.

« Great hotel, great location, unusual guy on staff »

The room and experience overall is excellent. They now provide breakfast but sadly, did away with the concierge floor. (Boo.) Beds are comfortable and rooms are fine. Our sink wasn't draining in the bathroom but I informed the front desk and they took care of it. I'm always confused how they can't know these things...if the cleaning crew washed out the sink at all, they would see that it wasn't draining. Did they just forget to report it? The front desk staff did a great job. Our only real oddity was the shuttle service. We got into the van and the driver took us to the hospital to pick up someone (visitor, not patient). Instead of then proceeding to our destination, he took him back to the hotel before continuing to our destination. We were then regaled with the driver's story of leaving Chicago because "they were rounding up all of us". He said if he didn't leave he'd be in jail like his friends for no reason. We felt very uncomfortable. Then, he spotted a friend in another vehicle and stopped, rolled down his window, and chatted with him for a while. We appreciated the ride but it took us about 25 minutes to go 2 miles. We are frequently in Madison for meetings. I'll still stay at the InnTowner because we love it but next time I guess I'll just call uber.

« If on business a place to consider »

This is my second time staying here. I always enjoy when the staff members remember guests returning again. This trip got extended twice to total 20 days. I want to thank the staff at the desk to work with my travel coordinator to keep me in the same room. I want to shout out to the food service staff and the drivers!! Excellent service timely drop offs and pick ups! Diffidently enjoyed the bar

    2
    « Disappointed »

Stayed here as part of a wedding party. A word to those considering the use of this hotel for wedding events - don't trust that wedding gift baskets will be given out to any guest staying as part of your wedding group. As far as the rooms, make sure to view the rooms before providing them to guests - i.e. the room bathroom doors only open 25% because of the placement of the toilets.

« Great Place To Stay »

All of the people are kind and courteous! They go out of their way to make your experience a good one. The hotel is located close to the hospitals, local attractions and they offer shuttle service. Everyone is so nice and pleasant! The rooms ore clean and comfortable.

« Severe Mold or other Fungus Problem in Hotel »

This seemed like the perfect location for us to stay for our medical appointments at UW Madison Hospital. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the worst stays (healthwise) that I've ever experienced. The staff was friendly, but not helpful at all, as when I explained the problem to a guest services representative, all he could say was that he was sorry. I strongly encouraged him to have this checked out, but he was noncommittal and wouldn't say anything other than he was sorry. Upon arrival to the hotel, we noticed the hallway was abnormally cold (about 64 degrees). Our room was also extremely cold (67 degrees). I adjusted our thermostat to 71 and settled in. Within an hour I was all congested and starting to feel my chest tightening. When we left the hotel for a few hours, my congestion and chest cleared up and I felt fine again. However, upon our return, I got considerably worse, and had to use my asthma inhaler multiple times. After a sleepless night, I was ready to leave for fresher air. I noticed that the ceiling in the hall had water damage right outside our room. I am guessing there is a lot of mold in the walls that hasn't been taken care of. May places keep their air conditioning extra cool to help inhibit its growth, which would explain the cold temps. I'm also guessing that the air conditions haven't been cleaned in forever, which would promote fungus growth, another health hazard. I encourage everyone with any health issues or allergies to steer clear of this hotel until they address their mold and/or fungus problem and it becomes safe for people to stay there. To the hotel: you did a big renovation, I understand. Please take the extra step to ensure your guests' health and have the place checked out by the health department.

« Great location and recent remodel »

The ease of getting to the hotel and the UW hospital make this a great location. The recent remodel makes it a nice place with modern touches. The pillow top mattress was super comfortable. The full breakfast buffet included in the room price make the hotel a good value and time saver. We were there one night and so we didn't need a lot of service but the interactions I had with the staff were very good and friendly. I would stay there again, even just for a pleasure stay.

Very clean and quiet hotel. Beds were super comfortable. Terrific shuttle that picks you up at the airport and takes you all around town. Friendly staff that had great recommendations and an excellent breakfast.

« Lack of Customer Service »

I was very excited to go to this hotel for a weekend birthday get away with friends. Problems started shortly after our arrival when the supposed "high-speed" internet was not working. I called the front desk and was told I could call their internet providers tech support to try and figure out what was wrong, as the whole hotel was having issues with it. Later, we called for extra pillows to help elevate a family members broken leg and were told they would be right up. An hour and a half later when we had nothing, we called again and were told that someone had come and we never answered the door. I find this to be a complete lie as we never left the room. I was completely unhappy with my stay and don't think I will ever book a room here again.

« Great hotel at reasonable proce »

Nice breakfast spread with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and pancakes each morning. Best feature is the hotel shuttle (driven by awesome Johnny) that will bring you to/from the airport as well as within a 2 mile radius of the hotel - which includes all the great downtown restaurants.

« Best Western Plus InnTower Madison »

Very nice hotel. Would recommend that they come a bit in price, for those who have family in the VA Medical Center or the University Hospital. Might want to reconfigure their bathrooms. The bathroom door can not be opened all the way, it hits the toilet and the door did not lock.

« Super staff, few flaws--will stay again! »

Very nice décor, clean, and the staff is very customer service oriented. The main elevator did not function upon check-in, but was running the next day. Coffeepot in my room did not work...regardless of what I did with it (moved it from outlet to outlet)! The hot breakfast buffet is much better than most hotels/motels (there doesn't seem to be any other breakfast place within close proximity). A great way to start the day. Thank you Inntowner! PS: There was a little confusion about my reservation, but the manager corrected the error and my bill. Kudos!

I highly recommend the Best Western Plus Inn Towner in Madison. It's great location, fine staff and excellent facilities helped make it an incredible stay! An extra thanks to my favorite bartender, Will!

« Nice, basic, and fits needs »

In for a quick trip and no need for luxury so this place fit the need definitely. Was pleasantly surprised though - much better than what I expected. I have not stayed in a Best Western for many years so I was unsure what to expect, but again pleasantly surprised. In short, here are a few pros and cons: Pros: -pretty lobby, staff very nice -great free breakfast -inexpensive -great location to campus -great coffee shop right across street -down the street from couple of restaurants -free shuttle within 2 miles Cons: -shuttle a little inconsistent on availability -small bathroom with door that hits toilet I'd recommend this place for quick, inexpensive place to stay with close proximity to campus.

We stayed at the BestWestern from May 19th until July 15, while Jill went through cancer treatment at UW Hospital and then a few weeks recovery. During that time Jill lost her urge to eat and drink much of anything. The rooms were very nice and cleaned daily and the food at the restaurant was great too. They had a free breakfast buffet every morning and the restaurant reopened at 500 until 1000 for those wanting to eat supper. Because I was so busy helping Jill I did not take the time to use their indoor swimming pool or exercise room. They had a 24/7 shuttle service to UW hospital and also took guests to the airport and other areas. We also had a free USA today every day to keep up on news.

« Excellent place for UW hospital stays »

Our adult daughter needed surgery at UW hospital in Madison, and we needed to stay in town 3 days for a post op check, since we live 2 1/2 hours away. Excellent place to stay! Rates lower for hospital patients, only two blocks from the hospital, 24 hour shuttle to the hospital. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Ample parking. Great food. It was wonderful not to have to worry about anything and concentrate on our daughter.

    « Call Anthony Melchiorri!! »

The bed was clean and soft, so it cannot be totally horrible. The rest..... oh my!! To get the bathroom door to close I had to stand in the tub, to get to the toilet tissue, I had to close the bathroom door. The dust on the top of the tv shelving was so thick I could see it while lying in bed. The outside lights barely shine for the spider webs. Make a reservation for the hotel's famed shuttle and share with 6 other people going 6 other places. I'm going to say "yes, they have a shuttle" but remember that also means, "Yes, they have a shuttle, but you may not get it and it may take longer than walking." Staff is nice, but someone is dropping the ball on maintaining this property. Also, good luck getting a hotel receipt!!! You ask for a receipt, the lady at the desk says, "we email those" you ask again, she says, "we've gone green, we email those." I'm calling today to see if the email will ever arrive. Do not walk away from that desk without a paper receipt or you may never get one.

    « Over night stay for V.A. »

Perfect place to stay for V.A. appointments, close to the facility. Has transportation if you need it. the breakfast is nice, but we couldn't enjoy it because of surgery. the best part for me was the popcorn that was made fresh and the nice bar/lounge to enjoy.

    « Clean, modern, quiet »

I did a Priceline for downtown/campus and got two nights for cheap here. It seems like it's newly renovated and really nice and clean. They do have a free shuttle too that can take you to and from the airport and downtown. My only criticism is that the furniture in the rooms is way too big - you have to turn sideways to get past the built in armoire thing. And the bathroom door won't open all the way because it hits the toilet.

    « College Visit »

Great location for our visit to UW. My daughter and I enjoyed the pool after walking the campus. We also used the business room to print our itinerary. Very comfortable and quiet room...felt safe and location was near restaurants. Breakfast was great and the service help were so friendly and helpful. Price is right!

    « A Pleasant Surprise »

BW is not usually on my radar, but this BW Plus property was a pleasant surprise. Very clean and efficient. With a Sr PGA event in town, room availability was tight and rates were jacked up all around town. The location was convenient - just west of downtown and the university, I'd stay here again.

« Parking and Shuttle a huge plus »

Well-kept hotel right in the heart of a neighborhood in Madison, close to the university, but a long walk if you're in a hurry. We've depended on the shuttle service, once when there was a blizzard you could not walk in and we had meetings on campus, and just a few days ago for orientation/registration of our daughter on campus. Once you check out you're allowed to keep your car in the lot all day, AND the shuttle will take you and pick you up from your same-day meeting at or around the university! This is huge if the weather is bad, which it has been both times we've taken advantage of this service. The shuttle is free, though we gladly tipped the drivers, who along with the desk staff, are friendly and pleasant.

« Better on the inside »

From the looks this Best Western looks... average. I was incredible surprised by the modern look, offerings, and cleanliness of the inside. Rooms are great, staff is helpful, coffee and water in the lobby all the time, too! There's a board room on the first floor that is amazing for meetings. Large smart TV with all of the A/V hook ups and wireless controls. I had my pre-conceptions about Best-Westerns before I came here- now I will have to set my assumptions aside!

    « Hotel stay »

The staff was amazing and so helpful! They took great care of us and made us feel so invited. I would definitely stay here again. The staff moved our rooms for us. The pool and fitness center do not open until 6 am, which I found a little late, but other than that it was wonderful. The management was also incredible.

    « Clean, tidy, professional! »

    « Gem of a hotel »

I've always stayed away from booking a room at a Best Western because I had not heard good things about this chain. This particular hotel, however, was absolutely lovely! The rooms are very nice, great indoor pool, nice workout room and fun restaurant and bar. The complimentary breakfast was terrific. Lots of options and tasty. The hotel is within walking distance to the university and downtown area. Don't want to walk, the complimentary shuttle is always available!! If you are planning a trip to Madison, stay here!!

    « Very Accomodating »

My flight got canceled the night before so missed check in, but they were able to easily accommodate me. The WiFi was ok. Every once in a while it would cut out in my room. I really liked the hash browns at breakfast. Probably not the healthiest, but they were good.

    « Close to Campis »

Hotel is tucked into a small lot. Parking is free but limited. My room was small and door hit toilet upon entry. Clean, breakfast was not as good as advertised. Bar and restraint on site with nice balcony. Half block from Blue Moon Bar and Grill, art deco and local with good burgers. High end Italian across the street, Lombardinos.

    « Hospital stay »

My daughter is in the hospital and we usually stay at the Ronald McDonald House when she's hospitalized, but they were full, so they put us up here. I couldn't be more pleased and appreciative with the way the management went out of their way to make our stay possible. Im on a fixed income and could never afford a motel at this time. I am so grateful for their hospitality! I know a lot of motels have free continental breakfast, but this place has a FULL BUFFET every morning in a sit down restaurant!!! The rooms are very nice and well updated! I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel. 5 stars all they way around!!!

Nothing real special about my stay. There was construction going on in the parking lot which made it hard to get into the hotel. There was a huge gross stain on the bed cover and we didn't get our in room coffee replaced until I found housekeeping and asked for some. But besides that it wasn't bad.

    « Bachelor Party »

A group of us stayed here for a bachelor party. I mentioned this was for a bachelor party when I made the reservation. Apparently the room we were originally going to stay in had guests that had complained about noise the night before. The front desk had the foresight to move us to another room prior to us arriving in order to avoid an inconvenience for both party's. We didn't spend much time in the room but it was nice and accommodated 4 men well. It was within walking distance to a few restaurants and a short cab ride from State St.

    « Memorial day getaway »

Nice, clean, quiet hotel with great pancakes for breakfast, and abundant coffee. It's slightly outside of city center, it probably requires at least a 40 minute walk to get to the main square. We drove each time - about 10 min, and had no problems finding parking at garage structures.

« May visit to Madison »

I stayed at the Best Western Plus InnTowner for 5 nights. The staff was very friendly. Nice shuttle service. Clean large room. The hotel is out of town a bit but perfect for my purposes. Restaurants are not plentiful within walking distance but the shuttle can accommodate. Madison in general was vey agreeable. Pretty college town. They do like their beer. Madison courthouse is beautiful and open for exploring.

« High Quality for the Price »

We are staying at this hotel due to the proximity to UW Hospital. Felt it was very good quality for the rate we received. Rooms were nice, Pool and hot tub were really nice, husband used the fitness room. Over all we felt out stay was excellent.

« Pay the extra $ stay elsewhere »

Check in was a debacle. The woman working was clueless. I had 3 family members that had checked in under their own reservation, and she was confused that we all had the same last name. I showed her my id, and told her I was checking in to my room, she finally understood, but wow. Met up with my family members, briefed them on check in debacle. They laughed and said they knew exactly who I was talking about. My brother said he had to walk out because she was so inept on how to do her job. Moving on...we were put in room 253, if u get this room request another. The door to the bathroom did not open all the way, because the door hit the toilet. It was insane that I paid $150 a night for a room that I couldn't even open the bathroom door. The bathroom was so tiny, if two people are in the room, it was impossible to both get ready. Really unacceptable. Bath tub was dirty with hair and dirt. Gross. I didn't expect a lot from a 3 star hotel, but come on Best Western...tried to get food/drinks at restaurant, they were always closed. So, we went to the Blue Moon down the steet. Awesome food there! Pool was quiet, overall hotel was quiet. Soft beds. Hallways were freezing though. Biggest thing was the bathroom and clueless employee checking us in. Also, if you are debating paying a little extra for State Street, I wish we would have done that. Almost all businesses were shut down or closed by this hotel.

« A friendly place close to the university »

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights for a little vacation trip. The hotel has been nicely renovated and looks modern/chic inside. The room was nicely appointed, the pillows very soft, bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and tidy. The stay comes with a daily free breakfast buffet. Granted, it's free, so not top-of-the-line for food, however, it was the best "free" breakfast buffet I've had (most are horrible, particularly the eggs). The eggs & sausage were better than most, the OJ was good, and the pancakes were pretty good. The décor of the restaurant was very beautiful compared to most lounges where you get a free breakfast. The staff were all very friendly, courteous, and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Madison. FYI, if you do stay here, there's a great Italian restaurant (Lombardino's) right across the street from this hotel that is quite fabulous (décor not fancy, but food and service were both terrific).

« Underrated hotel, great weekend »

On a road trip through the Midwest my boyfriend and I stopped into this hotel because it was extremely affordable in comparison to nearby hotels. Let me tell you, trip advisor doesn't do it justice! We were pleasantly surprised to see how well kept the hotel was! It has obviously been updated recently. It is a bit out of town but the hotel offers a free shuttle service to anywhere in main Madison. The hotel room was very clean and the hotel staff were extremely friendly. The COMPLIMENTARY breakfast was very good! Overall I would highly recommend this hotel. Do not waste your time or money on any other place!

    4
    « Nice warm hotel »

The hotel is nice and comfortable, especially after the recent renovations. The staffs are very friendly and they also have a shuttle van service to different locations across the town which is extremely helpful. Amenities are average and the breakfast is plain and simple.

    5
    « Hospital visit »

The renovations look great! We stay here for the Children's hospital discounts and the proximity to the hospital. Our younger daughter has had some surgeries there. We always have a nice stay, overnight with no complaints. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is great! As well as the food we've ordered through room service. The new rooms are very nice and a king sized room leaves us enough space for our pack n play-for the baby to sleep in. We plan on bringing our older daughter the next time we have a hospital visit, to have some "family time" in the pool!

« Amazing huge quiet room »

Was very surprised when I got to my room. It was huge, beautifully decorated and spotless. And so quiet. Not what I expected for being downtown. The staff was outstanding and the shuttle service was great. My driver was excellent. I will definitely be staying again.

« Wonderful place to stay! »

Nice room and a great free morning breakfast buffet. Tastefully decorated hotel close to the Waisman Centre and U of Wisconsin. They have a shuttle bus that will take you anywhere within a 2 mile radius. The shuttle bus will take you to Hillsdale Mall and the opposite direction to downtown Madison -where the state capital buildings are. The shuttle bus will also pick you up and drive you to Dane County Airport. It is also a nice safe area with lots of trees, greenery and lakes....

    « Very good experience »

Very helpful and friendly staff. Food was excellent. they got me to my medical appointments on time and was very quick to pick me up again when I was done. I will return to this motel again when traveling in the area.

« Nice Rooms, nice Staff »

Rooms look new! I think this an older hotel, but the rooms and lobby seem brand new. Staff was very nice and we were pleased the hotel had a shuttle that went back and forth to campus activities. We also enjoyed the breakfast.

    5
« Great Option for Madison Area »

Close enough to Madison but away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, busy campus, and crazy traffic and parking. Nice hotel with good service and food, parking, free shuttle, and even at that within walking distance of the campus and downtown (1 to 1.5 miles). And if you can't walk that far it's easy to use the hotel shuttle. Perfect place for UW Madison Commencement lodging or other university area events. So happy to find this gem.

    « Convienent to UW-Madison »

Family has stayed there several times while visiting our daughter attending UW-Madison including this past weekend for her graduation. The hotel is conveniently located to the campus and local establishments. The rooms are very comfortable and the hotel recently completed an upgraded renovation of the restaurant and lounge areas. The free breakfast is pretty nice compared to most "continental breakfast" options at other hotels. The staff was once again very courteous and helpful and there is a free shuttle between the hotel and local businesses/locations.

    3
« Serviceable and convenient, but no real extras for the price »

Convenient location for university visits, nice breakfast bar, and on-site parking. Staff was pleasant and helpful. But the place is well-aged and a bit dank, and pretty expensive for what it is. Sleeping here on business is OK, but a resort it's not.

    4
    « Business Trip »

Nice hotel for the area. The Staff is great! I had a problem with TV in my room. I called the front desk who was able to send a repair man up right away. He assessed the issue, could not fix it so worked to have me moved to a different room which was right across the hall making it easy to move. One negative was shower drain was very slow. Water would back up during shower. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was included which was great!

« great room. food? meh. »

The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The room was very comfortable and very clean . The TV remote had a cover on it saying it had been cleaned . I appreciated that . There is a bar/restaurant. The food was mediocre. Great dish ideas but the meals were barely warm . The breakfast was good coffee was good.

« Nice motel close to UW »

Newly updated this motel will not disappoint. Off street free parking. Transportation to and from airport as well as anywhere else with 2 miles by pre arrangement. Walkable to UW and UW hospitals. Hot free breakfast. Great staff. Modern rooms with everything you need. Reasonable priced. What more could you want?

    3
    « Good, basic accomadations »

This hotel mostly serves those affiliated with the UW hospital in some capacity. My first room was very smoky as the person in the next room was smoking. I turned on the air conditioner, which only pulled more smoke in. Fortunately, they had another room available and offered to help me move rooms (I did not take them up on this as I have very little luggage). The new room was a bit untidy- I found trash on the floor, someone's food in the fridge, and the sheets had stains on them. The hotel has a shuttle that can take you to the airport or to UW, and not really anywhere else. I ended up using Uber to get around. Lots of hotels offer shuttles, so if you anticipate doing much downtown (meaning, you want to have a nice meal out), you might do better to stay on the other side of the UW. Very friendly and professional staff.

« Our stay at the Inn Towner Best Western »

Our trip to Madison WI was for medical reasons. Our luck was that the UW Hospital had an arrangement for patients to stay at the Inn Towner which is just a short distance away. The arrangements, the facility, shuttle service and breakfast made our extended stay of 2 months so much easier for our family. The hotel staff made our stay very comfortable and easy. I recommend the accommodations and the service highly.

    5
« Exceptional Service and great location »

I stayed here for two nights while visiting Madison for business. The shuttle service made it super easy to get to and from the airport as well as to some other areas in town if desired. The campus is just across the street as are some great bike/walking paths. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The free Wifi could have been faster but other than that I couldn't have asked for more.

« Reliable, comfortable, location is great for University of Wisconsin »

I have stayed here about 6 times since January. The location is fantastic for University of Wisconsin Hospital and Health facilities and there is a convenient shuttle. The staff are warm and welcoming, the rooms comfortable and the hotel generally quite. I'd like to give a special shout out to Tameka who is particularly engaging and makes the place feel like home every time I check in.

« Excellent hotel and stay............ »

Stayed one night at Best Western Plus InnTowner in Madison, WI as a family member was a patient at UW Hospital. This hotel is awesome. From the moment we walked in until checkout we could find nothing wrong - room was clean, bed was very comfortable, staff very accommodating (especially Lisa at the front desk). Had a long day of driving and had not had supper when we checked in - the restaurant in the hotel was closing in a few minutes so Lisa recommended a spot just about a block away. Very close and a great recommendation. The noon checkout was a very welcome surprise - our patient was being discharged that day, so we didn't have to hurry in the morning. Took advantage of the breakfast buffet - very good. Overall, if you need a hotel near the UW-Hospital system, this is the place to stay!

    « EPIC Conference »

Let me say I was pleasantly surprised and very please with this hotel. I don't usually stay at Best Western's not because they are bad, but they are not usually on my radar. I can honestly say that has been a huge mistake. This hotel has been renovated and modernized and is really nice. I stayed on the 4th floor and my hotel room was beautifully decorated. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. I loved that they have a shuttle that will take you anywhere you want to go within a 2 mile radius of the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant that was very good and also has a full service bar. There are not that many seats so if you come with a crowd some of you will be standing. At 4:00 pm they start their "happy hour' and serve freshly made popcorn. I stayed 4 nights and for the first two nights the popcorn was perfect, unfortunately on the last two night they kept burning it, that left the lobby with that lingering smell. Trust me that was the only bad thing and I think it was because the person making it was new. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and especially if your in town for an epic conference. There is also a shopping area that is about 1.5 miles away with nice shops. The Dane Pub on Price street to me is the better restaurant than the one downtown. The beds were soft and those who have read my reviews know one of my sore spots is a bathroom setup. Well this hotel gets a 100 because the double rooms have the sink, tub, and toilet all in one bathroom. I am not a fan of rooms that have the sinks located outside of the bathroom. I do know for this hotel if you get a King Bed then they will have the sink on the outside. Great price, great location, I will definitely be back.

« Very clean, great people and indoor pool and spa! »

My room was spotless! Updated recently and well worth your stay. Happy hour was great, with $2 Modello's. The restaurant has new management, and although I didn't eat there, I was able to review the menu. It looked pretty good! Additionally, there is decent food within walking distance if you like different fare. I was there recently for a family emergency, and was referred here by the front-desk at UW Hospital.

    « Best Western Plus - Madison »

Good Hotel, Close to PLS-CADD course. Close to Capitol as well. Overall good stay. If you Order food from restaurant to your room, they will charge you $3 extra. I didn't know that, so I ordered food up to my room and a $6.00 Casadia cost me $9.00.

    « A Necessary Journey »

It was an excellent choice given to us by UW Madison Hospital. I would recommend the Best Western chain to all travelers. It was very clean with wonderful service and very close to our final destination. Thank you very much!

    « Wedding weekend »

We had a block of rooms at the Inntowner. The months leading up to the wedding weekend were filled with lots of questions which the staff cheerfully answered and made lots of suggestions that were so helpful. We also held our rehearsal dinner there. The food was delicious, a spacious set up for the bar, buffet, dining tables and mingling space. Steve Morgan was our point man. I cannot thank him and the staff enough for a flawless weekend. We also hired their shuttle bus to ferry our guests between the hotel, church and reception venues. Although the church was about 3 blocks, there were elderly guests who appreciated this service as well as the late nighters at the reception. All in all, I would certainly do it all again at the Inntowner! I HIGHLY recommend it!

« All the comforts of home »

The staff at Best Western Inn Towner in Madison, WI is exceptional. They go out of their way to make sure guests are taken care of. The shuttle worked well and was on time. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. I did not like the taste of the water from the faucet to drink or for coffee. Next time I will take bottled water. The hot/cold breakfast was more than sufficient. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

    « Epic Conference »

Came to Madison with my husband for a three-day Epic conference. At my first glance of the Hotel I thought we were booked with a low budget hotel. Actually, the inside of the hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. The view from our room window was of the top of the roof and a liqudor store. They offer free shuttle services within 2 miles but you need to schedule in advance. Our shuttle driver, Mr. Johnny is a great guy, we enjoyed such a personable ride with him to the Henry Vilas Zoo. Its helpful to know your surroundings and to be provided great details about unfamiliar places. The ride to the zoo was also quick and safe. Mr. Johnny is certainly a valuable asset for the company and travelers. The only compliant that I have is the staff in the breakfast area of the Hotel seemed unfriendly; stood around watching if as I was stealing a complimentary breakfast; each time I got up for a refill some older lady would took my plate this happened twice before I finished it was so frustrating. Overall, our stay was good.

1 mile away from Union South but the hotel had a shuttle that was extremely accommodating and all staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean, hotel room standard and beds comfortable. Would recommend staying here for family visit.

I was very surprised at the quality and the service at this hotel. It was VERY nice. Halls were quiet and had great bed and pillows. They were busy with check in's when we arrived could have used a bit more help at the desk for afternoon check in

« Family in hospital - stayed for a week »

My dad was in the hospital for a week at UW, so I stayed here for a week. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. I spent a lot of time in the room in between hospital visits, and I always felt safe and comfortable. Every staff member, from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the restaurant/bar staff to the shuttle drivers were absolutely wonderful and friendly. I will say that the shuttle drivers went above and beyond. They always made trips to the hospital a priority, and they were timely and friendly. They made a difficult trip much easier to bare for me. The free breakfast was very good, and I ate in the restaurant almost every night, and the food was great then as well. My only suggestion is to have some kind of laundry service available for people who are there on extended stays - either a service or a coin op available downstairs somewhere. Other than that, my stay could not have been better.

« Free breakfast, Wifi, pool, parking, close to campus... Hard to beat. »

I booked this hotel through Hotwire.com for $82 a night, roughly $100 after taxes. I would say for being close to downtown, offering free parking, Wi-fi, hot breakfast, courtesy shuttle within 2 miles and still being walk-able to campus and state street it was a pretty good deal. They also have a pool, fitness center and business center. I stayed here 20 years ago on a recruiting trip to Madison and they have really classed up the place. My room had a King bed and handicapped accessible shower on the first floor. The only complaint I have is that the noise from the toilets flushing and doors closing was very noticeable but otherwise the hotel was great. Staff was super friendly, and you are best to schedule a shuttle well in advance. The walk to state street is a bit of a hike but not bad, I opted for it when I heard it would be over 30 minutes for the shuttle.

Oh my goodness! These folks went above and beyond to make my daughter's trip to state as good as it could be one week after knee surgery! We were facing a ton of walking with her, but they had a wheelchair she could use! There was a shuttle service if she got tired, and room service made sure we had plenty of bags for ice. The beds were wonderful after a very long day! Breakfast service was hot and ready to go at 6:30am. We especially enjoyed Mattheo's cheerful banter. We are so thankful to have received such kind service from the staff. We will definitely return the next time we are in Madison!

    « Convenient to UW-Madison »

We had a terrible weather day in Madison--every 5 minutes or so a full blizzard would start up, heavy snow, 40 mph winds. Then blue sky/sunshine, then blizzard again. This went on for several hours. Though we were about a mile & a half from the university bldg. where we needed to be, it was un-walkable. The hotel has a wonderful free shuttle that took us to the bldg. on the university. And get this. Even though we had checked out, we were allowed to keep our car in the hotel lot, and we were given the number to call for the shuttle to pick us up and take us back to our car! The hotel was clean, nicely decorated, and the staff exceptionally pleasant/friendly.

« Great for family hospital stay »

Very close to the UW Madison hospitals - within walking distance. Great place to stay if you have family at the UW hospital. Room was small, but updated. Staff at front desk was very helpful. Breakfast was good, lots of hot and cold choices. Nice swimming pool.

« Nice hotel for the price »

Nicely updated lobby, restaurant, and rooms. Pool and fitness area just ok, outdated pool/spa area. Staff were friendly. Free shuttle and proximity to nearby UW hospital a big bonus. Many UW hospital & clinics patients stay here due to this.

    « BEST SERVICE EVER!!!! »

We arrived to the hotel early & was greeted with the best welcome ever!! Tamika was the first person we met to check us in & helped us out with everything we needed. Tamika always greeted us by our last name which I thought was great every time she saw us & asked how we were doing & if we needed anything else to help us out. Then there was also Lisa from the front desk which was also a great help with every thing we needed from the time we checked in. Lisa would also say hi & ask if we needed anything ever time she saw us. Then there was a time we had to get to the hospital right away & the shuttle bus was out on a run so Lisa took time out to take us because it was slower & there was enough staff at the front desk. Then there was Johnny the shuttle bus drive who was also helpful. He said anytime we need to go anywhere let him know. He also helped us with our luggage. Over all the staff was great & very helpful. It is a great place to stay & was very well kept up & clean. There was always some sort of house keeper cleaning the hotel at all times.

    « Great downtown hotel. »

Our adult family met up in Madison for a night out. The location to Smokey's Restaurant was a big selling point. The hotel is recently remodeled. The room was large, the cable TV was great, the water was hot, and the wi-if worked everywhere. Our bathroom door didn't open very well because the toilet was in the way--weird. Very cool elevators. We would like to stay here again.

« Online Photos Don't Give It Justie »

The property has been renovated from top to bottom. The place is modern, and the room was excellent. If you are going anywhere downtown, UW, near west in Madison, THIS is the hotel for you. I've stayed on the isthmus in hotels, and I've stayed in the hotels along John Nolen Drive. When I first saw this hotel, I was skeptical about its location being "downtown." But the hotel makes up with free shuttle service to/from downtown and other places. I didn't take the shuttle, but frequent public transit (that runs 365 days/year) is right in front of the property. Confused with transit? Don't be--Madison has schedules on virtually all its bus stops, including the inbound and outbound bus stops at the hotel. Driving to Madison? This hotel is a great place to go. It has a parking lot. Other hotels downtown have garages and require payment. This hotel has a parking lot, and less traffic than downtown--meaning less of a hassle getting in and out. The free hot breakfast was great. They actually don't make you feel like a thief for going downstairs for breakfast--you just walk in, eat, and walk out. There's a free business center with free printing on site, as well as free (and really FREE) wireless internet. This place was everything it promised to be, and much more. The exterior looks a bit different than the photos now--that's why I say don't judge this place by the photo. The only thing I can say "bad" about the property was that I couldn't find a coin-operated laundry for guests. I took the train/bus to Madison and packed light and needed to wash a couple things to feel fresh getting back.

nice and clean place, good room size, big TV, keurig coffee m., nice staff, there were some renovations made parts of the hotel look unclean but that was understood and they apologized for it. The bad thing is their cleaning supplies are of bad quality, I asked for a razor and shave cream, razor was very bad and the cream was so dry and hard

« Worst stay ever anywhere »

Had an appointment at Hospital so we decided to stay where it was very close. We drive 1 1/2 hrs and weather was supposed to be bad so we decided to stay. When booking the room we requested a room as close off elevators because I have bad lung problems and can't walk distances. Had to do some stairs with a walk to the elevator plus down the long hallway to my room. Was totally out of breath when getting to my room. Phone did not work in room so they sent maintence person in to fix when I was there very inconvient. Bed way to high off ground and I am 5'10" needed a step stool to get on bed. Bathroom door would not open all the way only 1/2 way stopped by hitting the toilet. Remote control batteries were dead and then the new one they brought me same thing. At this point I was so sick and tired of dealing with the front desk I said forget it. Start putting the money that customers and patients pay for rooms and invest comfort in your rooms. All rooms should come with Recliners not just a select few. I come for a stay I don't want to have to sit on the bed or a hard chair to watch t.v. sorry. For the supposable discounted price we got because being a patient was not worth a penny. I definitely WILL not stay here again. Patients be aware they are not the cheapest place out there. Drive an additional 5 to 8 mins and stay someplace else.

« Above and beyond service! »

My daughter had to come to Madison for surgery at UW and this hotel helped make the entire experience more comfortable for all of us. Specially, the free shuttle service drivers, Johnny and Dennis, went above and beyond to make myself and my daughter feel not only comfortable, but almost like family. They took us wherever we needed/wanted to go, offered ice cream recommendations in town and even brought us movies from their own homes to watch when my daughter couldn't make it out of the hotel. We couldn't have asked for more caring and kind people to help us through a rough trip. Additionally, at the front desk, Cassandra, Lisa, Miriam, and Aldemer were incredibly accommodating.

    « Great stay! »

I really can't say enough good things about this hotel. It has great value for the money if you consider its proximity to UW (I was attending a training on campus), free shuttle service to/from the airport as well as other nearby locations on and off campus, free hot/cold breakfast, comfortable, updated rooms with plenty of outlets, fridge, keurig coffee maker, etc., and pool + workout room. My room was quiet and peaceful as most of the renovation is done. Last but not least, the staff, especially Lisa and Dennis, were super friendly and provided excellent customer service during my stay. Thank you very much!

    « U. of W tennis regionals »

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Inn Towner in Madison because it so close to the University. My daughter had to play 7 tennis matches in 3 days and it was so easy to go back and forth. The breakfast that was included was great, especially for all the athletes who needed to fuel up quickly in the morning. We also appreciated that the hotel accommodated our request for late checkout when the last match ran over and we couldn't get back to check out on time

    3
« Nice hotel after renovations »

Nicely renovated room, comfortable bed, great breakfast buffet, free shuttle service and pleasant staff are all pluses. There was a lot of dust from the ongoing renovations, and we were unable to keep the room a steady temperature: it fluctuated between hot & cold. As another reviewer noted, the bathroom door hits the front left toilet bowl so the door doesn't open all the way.

    5
« Excellent Place to Stay »

Every employee is very kind and welcoming. This is a great hotel to stay at and very convenient to local sites and attractions. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that is traveling to Madison Wisconsin. All of the people in Madison are kind, welcoming and courteous.

    4
« A Good Place to Stay only AFTER rennovations »

We basically enjoyed our stay at this hotel, but would recommend reserving a room only AFTER the renovations are completed. We unfortunately experienced overwhelming fumes on our LAST night due to construction work on bathrooms below our floor. The odor was over-whelming noticeable. (We noticed that a room next to us had the use of a fan to ventilate their room.) This, in our opinion, was unacceptable. At check out we were given an apology, but no compensation was offered towards a future stay; which would have been appropriate. For this reason, we would not stay here until after the renovations are complete and we would most probably chose another hotel over this one; unless we had no other choice. We will be traveling to Madison quite frequently in the upcoming years since our daughter will be attending the University, so this hotel missed out on correcting a wrong for a future customer. This hotel is in a good location for the school and offered a nice breakfast. Again, it is recommended to stay at only AFTER their renovations are completed.

    « So great! »

My family recently stayed here while my dad was at UW Madison hospital for a kidney transplant. This hotel works with the hospital which made things so much easier. The staff was friendly, helpful, and patient, especially when dealing with me and my exhausted self. The room was newly updated, the pool fantastic, and the included breakfast was just one less thing I had to think about. We also took advantage of the free shuttle to and from the hospital which again was a huge help. They even went out of their way to make my 7 year old son happy after a long day hanging out with grandpa. I cannot say enough about how great this hotel took care of us. Thank you!

« UW Twin Study put us up at residence »

This hotel is under renovation, but it is clean, quiet and the pool and is open. The pool was clean and warm, the rooms were clean and we slept well. Easy location from the UW Campus! We didn't use the shuttle, but they do have a nice service to shuttle people to campus or a 2 mile radius. The breakfast was hot and had a nice selection.

    « Great stay. »

Stayed at this property because we were able to get a good deal on Hotwire. Pleasantly surprised by the property and the very able staff. While the building is currently going through renovations (to be completed later Feb 2016), the rooms that have been done already are quite nice and comfortable. Nice and close to the UW campus, and within walking distance to many fine dining options off of University Ave. Shuttle service available, too.

« There are some issues that the staff makes up for »

This is an extremely convenient hotel if you are visiting University of Wisconsin Hospital on a daily basis. The beds are beyond comfortable, great water pressure but awkward positioning of the bathroom door makes it a bit cumbersome to maneuver in the lou.

« Great Hotel, Incredible staff! »

We had an extended stay at the Best Western Plus Inntowner for a family member's surgery at the hospital. We chose this hotel because we knew we would be going back and forth to the hospital often and they have a 24 hour shuttle. Five stressful days and nights were made much easier by the stellar staff at this hotel. From the moment we checked in it was clear the the guests are a priority and the level of service and training showed in every part of our stay. The room was very nice. The restaurant was fantastic, and the complimentary breakfast was an awesome plus. Every employee, at every opportunity was friendly and helpful. I would positively stay here again. I have stayed at hundreds of motels and hotels and this was the most brag worthy of them all.

« I was much more comfortable at the hotel than at home! »

The room was large and beautiful, the huge flat-screen TV was a delight to watch, and the hotel's personnel were all very friendly and professional. Madison, Wisconsin is not ordinarily a place I would choose to go to in February. It was necessary for me to take the trip because I am a participant in a study being conduced at the University of Wisconsin. I had a great trip however, despite the typical February weather, in no small measure due to the quality of this beautiful hotel.

    « Good location »

This hotel is close to town area and University of Wisconsin Madison. So a good option to stay here if you are here for visiting students or maybe sightseeing on foot. Its value for money . Buffet breakfast nothing great. But they provide shuttle service to town area and there's lot of choice on State Street for food and fresh juice bars.

    « Just as you'd expect »

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and professional. We utilized the free shuttle service to get us to a concert downtown and saved on a taxi. Complimentary breakfast the next morning was a pleasant surprise and was better than most would expect a continental breakfast to taste. I would definitely stay with BW again.

Wife was having surgery at UW Hospital, stayed at Best Western for 6 days. Hotel was very convenient to hospital, 24 hour shuttle is awesome, will take you anywhere within 2 mile radius which is also convenient for many restaurants and shopping you may need to do. Hotel is under construction but still very clean, breakfast is good, bartenders are great. Driver Johnny was very friendly and helpful in navigating us to different locations in Madison. Overall they made our stay great!

« Great Location to U of Wisconsin School of Nursing »

Stayed here as my wife was working on some heart research studies with a colleague at the University School of Nursing. The hotel is literally two blocks from the School of Nursing/ Medical School, and makes for an easy walk. However, that's not normally an option in January with temperatures close to zero and lower. All in all a nice hotel and friendly staff. It was unfortunate that booking websites didn't mention anything about some very major construction going on with the hotel, and that was an inconvenience for sure. However, they did all they could to accommodate their guests with a makeshift restaurant. We would stay here again should the occasion arise.

    3
    « Disappointing »

We reserved a suite. We expected quality but the bathroom cold water handle came off in our hands, the living room chair was very wobbly and felt like it was going to break. The table also had a bad wobble. We reserved the suite because we are a family of 4 and the pull out sofa was to be for our daughters but when we arrived back in our room there was no bedding to make the bed for our children. Calling to the front desk produced sheets but no blankets or pillows. By that time we were all so exhausted we gave up. The next morning I reported the issue and the gentleman at the front desk was less than apologetic. On a positive note the main bed was very comfortable and the shuttle was prompt even though it had a broken window covered in plastic and tape and the indoor pool was warm.

« Pleasant Stay. Great, if you are a patient at the hospital :) »

We have stayed here twice. Both experiences were good! The hotel is under construction, but that wasn't really an inconvenience at all. We have a 1 yr old daughter who is a patient at Children's hospital. We had an early appointment and when we returned, just as breakfast ended. The staff allowed my husband to grab some breakfast and encouraged him to take as much as he could! We were so appreciative!!! The rooms are great, with updated furniture, but the bathrooms are old. Our second stay was also very nice. All the staff are nice, friendly & helpful.

    « Great Hotel »

Hotel was great and clean, in a good neighborhood. The entrance was under construction, so that changed the way the hotel looked, but other than that everything else was great. Breakfast was good, although I wish there were a couple more options.

    « Good value hotel »

This hotel is on the west end of campus, close to Camp Randall, UW Hospital and the Natatorium. The rooms are a little tight but nicely kept up with newer furniture and newer carpet. Beds were very comfy. The bathroom in our room was 20+ years old and it showed. There is a remodel going on of the lobby and it appears guest room bathrooms. So ours is probably on a list for upgrade. The pool was nice and the water was warm....a big plus for the kids. Staff was great and very accommodating. Free shuttle anywhere nearby, free wifi and free breakfast. The resturant area is under construction so it wouldn't be fair to rate the area where you eat b/c it is in transition. Parking is free, sometimes far from the main entrance. There are two slow elevators on opposite ends of the hotel. Use the stairs if you are on an upper floor. Much quicker to use steps if you are not hauling luggage. They have 4-5 luggage carts for easy in/out. Overall great value and good experience.

    2
    « Dumb reservation agent »

Agent had no clue of the problems related to remodeling, etc. Sure they had parking for cars with trailers -- those parking places were filled with construction materials and equipment. If you arrive late and are face with what wasn't accurate, it spoils the stay.

    5
« Conveniently located near UW Madison Hospital »

It is only a mile from the hospital. It is pricier than the Best Western which is about 5 miles from the hospital. We prefer the other one but this one is very convenient when you need to be at the hospital quickly.

« Staying in Madison for UW Clinic Medical Appointments »

On the morning of our departure, I slipped in the tub while taking a shower and fell over backwards out of the tub, hitting my head on the door and slamming my back against the floor. The staff were very attentive and helped me complete an incident report. With the exception of my fall, our stay was great and all the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. They have a great hot breakfast, a pool & workout room, and it was very reasonably priced. We would stay there again and recommend to friends.

« Needs guest room renovation »

Great location, nice staff, some nice features. There is currently a renovation happening to the outside of the hotel but signs don't indicate if this means something is going to happen INSIDE the hotel too? Lobby is fine, corridors are OK, main part of guest room is also fine, but the bathrooms are very dated and worn.

    4
« Well adapted to their niche market »

This was my visit to the InnTowner since moving from Madison over 20yrs ago, and first stay ever. Our stay was centered around a UW Hospital patient, and it was quickly clear that has become the InnTowner's niche -- although some guests seemed to be on business, but most likely connected with the UW. Proximity to the Hospital and Clinics, and west side of campus, can't be beat, especially for those unfamiliar with Madison. Despite some exterior construction, making entry/exit to the hotel cumbersome, the simple free parking for guests is also easy to appreciate. Dining options are not exactly full-service and reminded me of a mash-up between motel breakfast room and airport food service. You don't want to entertain or take a date here, but the included, full hot breakfast buffet is as good as any, and overall the options are perfect for those with other pressing business or spending long hours at a hospital bedside. Except for one very annoying bartender, service throughout the hotel, including the lounge/dining, was very friendly and helpful. If I have any complaint, it would be the room. While the sleeping area was nicely redone recently and beds quite comfortable, the scale of the built-in taking up the length of the room on one wall is much too deep for the size of the room. It made it difficult for even two normal sized, able bodied people to move freely in the room at one time. Even a few more inches clearance would help. And oddly, the bathroom had not seen any update as of our stay. While seemingly clean, the age and condition of the paint, tile, fixtures, etc. were not in keeping with the rest of the room.

    5
    « Hotel Evaluation »

The parking was easy. The room was very nice. The breakfast was excellent. The bathroom was satisfactory for my use of a walker. The bed was comfortable, but was to high. The room was quiet and close to the elevator. The elevator was easy to use for a disabled person.

    « Outstanding service »

The customer service provided at this very comfortable and convenient hotel is very good. The management team does an exceptional job of making everything as convenient and customized for each guest as possible, most notably Kris. A particularly valuable service was the hotel shuttle that makes it so much easier for people visiting without their own transportation, special mention honors to driver Johnny. Very warmly recommended!

« Hospital visit made easier by amenities and consideration of staff »

We flew in from Florida for a transplant evaluation at UW-Madison. Your hotel was recommended and we could not have been happier with the rooms (one even upgraded to 4th floor). The dinner there was reasonable and excellent, and an early complimentary shuttle to the hospital was invaluable, especially with construction. We booked two rooms for Thursday and one for Friday. Upon return from the hospital (thanks again to the hotel shuttle) with the very good news that a transplant was not needed, we asked if there was a chance we could cancel our room for that evening. Not only did Cassandra Smith let us do that (saying good news from the hospital is a reason to celebrate), she reduced the rate of our rooms the precious night to reflect the preferred status for hospital patients. This was the best hotel experience we've had in a long time! Thank you.

« Going to the U of W or Camp Randall Stadium? This is the place to stay! »

My companion and I are in town to watch the grandson play in the Wisconsin High School football championships. This motel is located near campus and has a free shuttle service for places within a 2-mile radius. We made use of this for our night-time football game. While this is an older property, it is clean and well-cared for. There is an indoor pool, exercise room, and conference/meeting rooms, a bar and restaurant. Parking is limited in the lot as there is renovation occurring but we had no problem parking the car for our 2-night stay. Breakfast is included and the offerings included: eggs, pancakes, French toast, sausages, bacon, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt and beverages. With the location so near the campus we will stay here again if the high school basketball does as well and gets to the championships in March. Oh...in case you are wondering...our team won the Division 4 championship, 28 - 0 against an undefeated team!

Rooms were quiet, despite families of various ages attending. The housekeeping staff especially, were very thorough and tried to be as undisturbing as possible. We had a winderful wonderful time. The shuttle was so handy for attending the reception at the Blackhawk Country Club.

My niece had provided us a room at this location as a gift to getaway. We live in close to Madison but it was nice to be away from home. We were greeted with a warm friendly smile as soon as I walked in. Staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean and the beds are heaven on earth. I would recommend this location and will be back again!

« Excellent hotel for all travellers »

This hotel is well situated just outside the university only minutes from Downtown Madison. It is an easy drive to all parts of the city. Plenty of parking and great rooms make this a good choice. Suites are big and well appointed with small kitchenette including a microwave, fridge and generous cupboards. 2 tv's and a spacious bathroom add to the experience. A nice restaurant and bar are nice if you get in late and want to have a drink or a meal close by. There is a private lounge upstairs for the guests in a suite

« This is a great hotel to stay at! »

The staff is very courteous and kind. It is in a great location to the University of Wisconsin hospital and clinics. It is easy to get to as well. The comfort of the hotel is great as well. They did an excellent remodel of this hotel a couple of years ago and they did a good job., It is an inviting place to stay even if your reason for being there is because you have to visit the U of W Hospital.

« Wonderful Surprise and awesome experience »

This was a trip for myself and my children. When we got to the hotel after our 4.5 drive, and found out we were upgraded, we felt very special. The staff was so accomodating and easy to deal with. On the 4th floor, the lounge staff was awesome, she inquired about our stay, and gave us great information. I will definately be back! Thank you for this wonderful suprise!

« Should have been better »

From the advertisement I read between this Best Western and another in Madison it should have been great but I was greatly disappointed. They stated recently upgraded but it was just new furniture that does not fit into the small rooms making them too tight to turn around in. The bathrooms need a lot of upgrading. I expected a great breakfast as it is open to the public and is a buffet. It was poorly kept and the food was not hot and had been sitting too long. I don't think they draw customers off the street for the breakfast as the price for the fair is poor.

I was in Madison supporting a friend running the marathon, and was assigned this hotel through Hotwire. Located near the university and the hospital, it would be a moderate 45min walk to the city center, but the hotel offers a shuttle service and plentiful parking in its own lot. Being a Best Western Plus (a division of the brand that's designed to offer above-average amenities) and having been recently refurbished (there's still construction work going on around the entrance, but it didn't affect my stay), the room was nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. For me, the second-floor WiFi worked well on my phone and laptop, and the complimentary breakfast was varied and satisfying. There's a small pool that was nice and warm when I did a few laps, and a fitness center next to it. Overall I was pleased with my stay here, and would consider it again on a future visit to Madison.

    « Great place »

nice quiet hotel which provided enough space for a family of four with two grown children. We were looking for a hotel near the University but not right on campus. There are some great restaurants nearby and the hotel is easy to get to and super simple access to the University campus and our child's on campus housing.

« Solid "3-Star" hotel, very nice staff »

The front entry way was under renovation during my stay, but didn't adversely affect anything that I could tell. When I arrived at the airport, I didn't know you had to call their shuttle, but luckily someone had and I flagged him down. He seemed strangely bothered that I hadn't called by asking me several times about not calling. Other than that the staff was really nice. I checked in with a young woman who was being trained. It was only her third shift there. The trainer seemed like a very good coach and gave her tips on how to manage some requests I made through their computer system. My only complaint was that I booked the Federal Government rate, which match the maximum allowed for those of us "on per diem" but when I checked in they only had that rate for the first two nights, then a higher rate well over the maximum. They didn't divulge that fact, I had to catch it on the paperwork myself - that's a bit fail in my book. But, when I pointed out to them that the government would not pay the higher rate (so it would come out of my pocket) they fixed it without a lot of push-back after first saying that it was their government rate, but that it changes during my stay - um no, it's doesn't work that way. Maximum is maximum, and it's allegedly a fair rate set by market research by GSA. I hope they learned to study up on government travel issues. Those of us on official travel really do have our hands tied, and end up paying our of our own pockets more and more if we're not thorough. The only quiet room away from the elevators left when I checked in was a handicapped equipped room, 343. Being that, it was relatively roomy, and it was very quiet as requested. Their facility management style appears to be one of partial renovations along the way rather than major shut-down-and-strip-everything renovations. That's a fine strategy, but the result is that something are good and some thing stick out like a sore thumb. In the case of my room, the furnishings were in great shape, but the shower and tub were obviously "next on the list" - or at least they should be. I love the functionality of the hand-held shower, but the make/model had a really cheap feel to it. The sink and mirror area was not new, but in good shape. Being a "handicapped equipped room, it had one of those absurdly tall toilets, which I have heard people in wheelchairs actually don't like either. Internet was easy to connect to, slow with the amount of traffic on it, but not dysfunctionally slow as other hotels I have been to. I like the Keurig coffee system and wrapped cups because you know it's all actually clean. Overall my room was very clean. I would definitely recommend them stay there again. Perfect location for visits to the Forest Products Lab (FPL) for those who have official business there. *** Major kudos for plenty of USB charging jacks and outlets convenient for CPAP machines on both sides of the bed! ***

« Good for the price »

Staff was awesome and very respectful. Always asking if everything was alright. Cleanliness of a few things could've been a bit better. Free Breakfast was TOP notch. Absolutely delicious and had a LOT to choose from.

    « Disappointing - noisy, dial-up speed internet »

OK, so the accommodations are pretty decent and the location is incredibly convenient. Some of the hassles of construction will be ending in the not-too-distant future. But there are a few issues that certainly need attention. I was in an even-numbered room and could easily discern traffic noise all night (don't know if the odd-numbered rooms are any better). The front desk apparently has some turnover -- I don't think I ever saw the same person there over two days. The young lady who checked me in was clearly not aware of what she was doing. But the biggest issue was the abysmal internet. My computer connections are rock solid most of the time, but I kept getting bumped off (one-two bars MAX) and the speed hearkened to the dial-up days. For a hotel that caters to the university crowd, this is unacceptable. (Note: I did get decent signal in the lobby, but the lobby/restaurant is definitely NOT conducive to getting work done.)

    « Great place »

This hotel is an excellent value; the room charge includes full breakfast, internet, fitness center and a shuttle to and from anywhere within a 2 mile radius of the hotel(which covers just about anywhere one would want to go in Madison). The staff is very friendly.

    « Awesome Place »

Wanted to go to a Badgers Hockey game and also see some of the sites around the Capitol. We got there Friday checked in parked the car and never had to move it the rest of the weekend. They shuttled is to the game came and picked us up when we called. Dropped us off by the Capitol in the square told us some good places to eat. Walked the downtown area and when we were ready to be picked up we called told them where we were and they came and got us. Same thing for day 2. They made our stay awesome.

    « Disappointed »

I have stayed here before when attending a Badger football game and when a family member attended UW Madison. The location has been a primary factor. This is the first time a booked a fourth floor room with a sofa bed. The mattress on the sofa bed was very poor and I had to ask for bedding. The staff had no acceptable resolution. I choose to pay $300 on what is considered a premium room to accommodate four quests but should have paid half that price.

« Reasonable accomodations, good service »

Great service, adequate accommodations with nice room decor. Free shuttle service within 2 miles of hotel is nice. Also free shuttle to/from airport though you may have to wait awhile getting picked up from the airport (30+ minutes). Very courteous staff, especially Dennis, Johnny, Todd & Matteo.

« over the top service »

A friend and I stayed on October 24.Our evening plans included a destination which was beyond the area that the Hotel offers for their shuttle service-They offered to take us anyway and picked us up when we called them for the return trip. The Hotel was wonderful-Loved their Linens and super comfy beds-The free breakfast was extensive and well prepared-we had a great time- Thank you Best Western for going over the top to make our mini vacation great

    « Don't rely on the shuttle »

Needed the shuttle to go to and from the Overture. We did not get the shuttle either time. We had to use an Uber. Staff checking us in seemed overwhelmed and the process was painfully slow. Rooms were nice but NOT big. They felt crowded...claustrophobic.

    « Great Customer Service! »

First of all, I used a complimentary night stay voucher that I received last Christmas. The purpose of my stay was to have a fun night in Madison with a friend I have not gotten together with for a while. When I called to make my reservation, the front desk staff was very helpful and pleasantly answered all of my questions. On a suggestion from a link to their website about things to do in the area, I booked a Haunted Brewery Tour through Hop Head Tours. When we checked in, I inquired about the complimentary shuttle offered by Best Western to get us to our pick up site for the tour. Once again, the front desk staff were very helpful discerning the location of the brew pub we were looking for. They discovered it was a bit out of range for their service but agreed to take us anyway! They also had the van waiting for us to return at the location at the appointed time to take us back to the hotel! Kudos to the staff! Our room was quite nice with 2 double beds and a big screen TV. My friend is the head of housekeeping at a major hotel in Wisconsin Dells and she immediately inspected our room for cleanliness. Her criteria is that she can ALWAYS find 5 things in any room. She was only able to find 3 very minor things in our room. She searched for quite a long time to locate a gum wrapper lodged behind the bed, a candy wrapper stuck under the cushion of a chair and a fingerprint on, something. Boy, she is picky and that was ALL she could find! Another point to mention, this facility is 2 blocks from the VA Hospital and would be perfect for anyone who has a loved one being treated there. In the morning we thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary buffet breakfast. There was not much they did not offer and everything was hot, fresh and delicious. I was very impressed with this venue and will definitely stay there again!

Pleasant, helpful staff. Nice, clean rooms. K cup coffeemaker in the room. Craft beer in the lounge. Unfortunately, I had to be at work too early to sample the free breakfast. All in all it was a pleasant stay.

One of the better Best Western we have stayed at. Great location for attending functions at UW Madison. Within walking distance of Camp Randall and State Street. We will stay here again we visit Madison.

« Walking distance for/from Camp Randall Stadium »

The shuttle bus service to the Badger Game was easy to get to but it was not on the way from the game so we decided to walk which was only about a mile but plenty of tree lined streets. but overall the experience at this hotel was great.

« Best breakfast EVER! Great staff. Shuttle Service. You will not be sorry! »

Very accommodating staff. Shuttle service to the hospital 24 hours a day, and free service within a two mile radius. If you are there for UW Hospital, it is the most convenient and a great place to stay for any ot her reason...great for sports teams.

    « Independent opinion »

Overall it was a very pleasant experience. I have not stayed in a Best Western for a very long time, and based on past experience I had quite low expectations, but they were exceeded in most ways. The only less than satisfactory issue was the front desk's confusion over shuttle service availability to UW Madison hospital, which was eventually resolved.

« One night on 10-10-15 in the Highland Club - room 427 »

The shower head was very poor - mounted too high, sprayed on bathroom floor and plastic removable shower head had limited adjustment so always pointed too far forward. The complimentary bar / snack area was a nice plus but for the added cost of the Highland Club room I would have thought the bathroom would have been much better. Poor placement for the electrical outlet at the sink to operate the coffee maker, etc... Therefore, too expensive for what we received.

    « university family weekend »

I chose this location because I was traveling with my older son to see my younger son for family weekend. I wanted a location that he could easily find his way back to from being out with his brother. However, the room was clean and nicely appointed. The bed was excellent. I asked for a quiet room and it was silent there. The breakfast had a lot of variety. Most of it was good. they could use some work on the oatmeal. But, the biscuits and eggs were good. I would definitely recommend this hotel for those reasons even if the price is a bit steep for what it is.

« FANTASTIC LOCATION!! GREAT ACCESS TO CAPITAL AND UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN »

Easy drive during "rush hour" to the best located inn. Easy mile walk to University of Wisconsin (be sure to have a beer at the student union on the lake); close to local college hangouts and good food. Even toured the Capital building across the street which was an added bonus for us. Valet parking but cars were delivered very quickly. Mid west atmosphere and hospitality.

« Top Class Staff and Perfect Location »

A perfect hotel to stay while our family was at the UW Health Hospital. The Best Western InnTowner offers a very competitive rate for those family members who are visiting patients near the hospital just down the road. During a recent Homecoming Game + Ironman, the hotel staff was more than accommodating finding our family a room. Hands down the best hotel staff I've ever experienced!

amazing place to stay, staff is wonderful! Hotel is beautiful. Had meals in restaurant several times and it was always good and price is reasonable. I feel like they will go out of there way to make your stay pleasurable. Not the first time we stayed here, was the third and I think it gets better every time

« We came to enjoy supper at the Badger Grill »

We were met, seated and served by Ms. Araceli Lopez. Ms. Lopez was warm, friendly, took great care of our orders and saw to our dinner very nicely. We were not overnight guests. The hotel was filled to capacity with football guests. Despite all that commotion, Ms. Lopez made sure we were taken care of in the dining room. We appreciated her great service.
