    « Awesome experience! »

We stopped for the night and was pleasantly surprised about everything, from the room, breakfast, comfort . . . everything was wonderful and we hated to leave! The internet was fast and the beds were very comfortable. The room was really clean and the breakfast was very good, too! If I'm ever in the area again, I'd stop here again!

    « Clean and Quiet »

Very well maintained, clean and peaceful; polite staff, easy access to highways and tourist attractions. An older building with nice updates and attention to detail in modernization. The indoor pool building was very clean. Well maintained landscaping. Outdoor entrances to rooms made it easy to unload and load up.

    « Thanksgiving trip »

Very impressed with cleanliness, lovely well kept grounds, staff very friendly and helpful. The beds were amazingly comfortable, great pillows and wonderful adjustable shower head and water pressure. Free breakfast buffet with hot and cold choices. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

    « No sleep »

I was given a smoking room after telling them I prefer nonsmoking. The room was dingy and smelled like an ashtray giving me a massive headache. The noise from the interstate and quality of the bed made it a completely restless night.

« Great location and breakfast »

We stayed on a trip from Michigan to Orlando, longer leg first day allowed us to get in Orlando just in time for check in 3pm. Located close to shopping and good restaurants. Hot breakfast was very good, good service, room was ok, nice shower.

« Good place, nice service »

Stay 2 nights, the breakfast was good & the employees were friendly. The rooms were clean. We use the spa and pool that was good too. The breakfast had pancakes, eggs, oatmeal, apple & orange juice, grits, yogurt, milk, bacon & sausage. Very good. Not far from downtown Macon.

    « Macon »

Great and very comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast with lots of country food.. Close to the Macon mall and other shopping and the interstate to go north or south. Pet friendly. Indoor pool was nice also.

    « pet friendly »

not the Hilton, but a decent place to stay if you have a pet. Staff were very nice and attentitive. Breakfast exceeded my expectations. Were resurfacing parking lot and noise and smell were not good. Overall it was good.

    « Macon »

Very good breakfast, hot, most do not have bacon and this one did. Great beds and very comfortable. Too much noise from upstairs bumping from the ceiling/floor. There was a party going on. Rooms are clean, checkin clerk very nice. I needed a handicap room and it was a very nice bathroom with the handrails.

    « PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! »

On our way to Florida, we stopped here for the night. The room was very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. But what surprised us was the 'free' breakfast, one of the best I've experienced on our trips on the Florida/Wisconsin trek since we've been doing this for the last few years. I don't usually leave a tip because....well most are not very good, but the lady in the breakfast room was very sweet, offered to make our waffles and refilled the coffee, (really good coffee!!), the eggs were hot and good biscuits.

    « Wonderful Hotel »

    « Exceeds expectations »

This is the second time this year we have stayed here. Clerk, whose name is Mark, took care of people ahead of us then started on us, the phone rang, he answered and said he was with customers and please hold. FINALLY someone with sense. Room looked clean and smelled fresh. Beds and pillows were good. Nice size flat screen TV. . We were in a handicap room as they were short on rooms due to tile replacement in 8 of them. Did not use the pool this trip. The laundry room was next door and they were running their cart and banging the door at 2 a.m. and by 6 a.m. housekeeping was in full work mode. Breakfast was pretty good. Check out is quick...put the key card on the ledge inside by the window and close the door.

    « Dog Friendly, but... »

Reserved a room here for 2 adults and our small dog. We usually pick Best Western because they are pet friendly. The room we were given turned out to have a terrible odor of pet urine. The hotel was booked solid because I-95 was flooded and traffic was heavy in this area, so no other place to go at that time of evening. The sheets appeared clean, so we stayed. After about 20 minutes of walking around on the carpet in our bare feet, we noticed that our feet became covered in filthy grime off of the carpet. This hotel was redoing their bathrooms to new tile. Our dog started itching terribly about 3:00 o'clock in the morning. Got really scared about fleas, but did not actually see any. Breakfast was about a 2 on a scale of 1 to 10. I let the front desk lady know upon check out about the 2 major conditions of smell and filthy carpeting. She seemed to know and said they were upgrading. Sorry -- not good enough. If you are remodeling, take a few rooms out of service and do them 100% -- don't have guests stay in dirty conditions. Will not stay here again.

    « Any port in a storm? »

For the first night of hurricane Matthew this was the only hotel I could find to book. Thank goodness it was only for one night. The room was more depressing than my house with hurricane shutters. So dark and shabby, with an entrance to the parking lot. The neighborhood, if you can call it that, was a mess o cheap motels and horrible traffic, and did noteven seem safe. Never again.

    5
    « Just passing through »

We stayed here for one night on our way to Florida. The motel is the kind with the exterior walkways. Our room was clean and comfortable. Showers had good water pressure and hot water. We didn't hear any noise from the outside or rooms next door. Breakfast was good and hot. We'd stay here again.

    4
    « Enjoyed our stay »

3 Adults traveling were able to get 2 comfortable queen beds. The room had a microwave and a good sized refrigerator with a freezer. The hot breakfast had many options and the attendant kept the area very clean and stocked. Room was clean and attractive.

« A nice stay, but rooms are showing their age »

The BW is in a convenient location, even on a major road it is a quiet place, but...our room was showing its age. Plumbing in the bathroom had been poorly repaired, Had a bit of trouble turning the shower on and off. A/C unit had a "ring" to it when running. On the plus side the free breakfast was one of the better we have found in a BW. Well prepared and hot, yes the typical BW fare, but nice staff and clean. We will stay again as we pass though.

    5
« On our way west »

Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Best stay of our 5 day trek to Wyoming. Even had a hot breakfast. Very friendly staff. Lots of pillows with comfortable beds and linens. Plenty of parking. It was convenient to our Highway yet far enough away so we heard no road noise. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    5
    « Really nice »

« Clean and comfortable, EZ on/off the Interstate »

Two Adults stayed one night in King Bed size room on the 2nd floor. The room was clean and comfortable. Front desk was friendly and had our room ready when we arrived early, which was a nice bonus. Would stay here again.

« Even though this place is pet friendly, don't do it to your dog! »

Had a reservation, checked in about 11pm after driving all day. Lady at front desk was very nice. That is the good. Room had a VERY strong cleaning fluid odor. Went to bed right away , but woke up itching later. Realized there were fleas! We didn't have a dog. When I asked for a refund in the morning, I got $11 discount...not good enough!

« BW Macon GA by pass »

We stay at this BW site when traveling I-75 North & South for several years. If traveling North thru Atlanta leave around 9am and when reaching the Atlanta area get into the HOV lane until the end. The HOV lane is great going North or South and is less stressing. Try to avoid the going to or from work travelers by choosing an off hours to go thru Atlanta.

    5
« Great stay. great service, great value »

Been staying at this BW for over 12 years. Always clean, great . For seniors. it is a great value. The prices fit to our budget very nicely and we can relax at a very comfortable place. Since they have gotten new bedding, it is to die for. I sleep so well there, I want to take it home.

    4
    « Nice find! »

Enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They even allowed us to park our motorcycle under the front awning. Breakfast area was very well managed. Our bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Felt it was a bargain for the price.

« You Get What You Pay For »

Reserved this room on our way home from Ohio and used our Best Western Points (Platinum Member) to save some money. Based on the reviews, we assumed it was a nice hotel. It was actually a real dump. The room was dirty (icky hairs in the bathroom and bathroom area). We tried to take our kids to the pool only for the management to kick them out after ten minutes (in their broken English they said it was closed). We were kind to these people explaining the kids needed to dry off but they ran us out.The location was awful and none of us got sleep because we were scared. Should not be considered a Best Western Hotel. Motel 6 is probably a better choice.

    « Excellent value »

My spouse and I stayed one night on our drive north. It was perfect for us: well maintained, clean room, comfy bed, modest price. Our room was really CLEAN- not a fleck of mildew in the tub, not a drop of anything in the mini-fridge, not a piece of lint on the carpet. There were damask type sheets in the bed and fluffy towels in the bath. No odors, despite the ridiculous humidity of this area. The grounds were clean too- zero trash. Not even a cigarette butt. The free breakfast was more than good- tasty, warm, fresh. If you must find downsides, you have to look off the property itself. A couple of nearby buildings are in disrepair, the local Waffle House has some scruffy clientele and the trucks of the nearby freeway create a constant dull roar. Inside our room that all was completely irrelevant. Enjoy this place--a business that delivers quality at a modest price.

    5
    « A really good place »

Just stayed one night, but it was exceptionally clean and well run. Not too far from anything and easy to get to. Beds were great, room was large and Clean. Breakfast was good and the lovely attendant ( whose name I didn't get) even makes your waffles if you like. A very pleasant place and one that the owners and managers should be proud of.

    « Never again! »

We stayed here for one night....one night too many. The front desk staff was friendly....no problems checking in. The room on the other hand was old, smelly and the neighborhood was scary! Got into our room, smelled of very strong cleaner. Bed was so so. Appeared to be clean. The tv did not work...had to wait for maintenance to fix it. Took about 2 hours for maintenance to show up. Area is not safe in my opinion. Next to this best western was an econolodge. Viewed sketchy activity by people staying there. It appeared the individuals staying there were not travelers. We had concerns for our moving truck we had parked outside. Go to another hotel in another town!

    5
    « Pleasantly surprised »

The room was clean, well maintained & appeared to have been recently remodeled. Service at check in, check out & at breakfast was cordial & efficient. The location is very convenient to the interstate & local restaurants. I will definitely stay there again & will recommend it to others.

    « Over night stay »

Clean and neat. Best Western always my first choice on the road. Plenty of hot water, good breakfast, convenient location. Restaurant close by and gas station too. Indoor pool and had a quiet side of building.

    5
« Traditional with Drive Up Room »

The hotel is conveniently located to interstate and many restaurants and convenience stores. A Wall Mart is close by for those of you who like "Wally World". The motel is an older style one but has a great staff to keep it in excellent shape. Breakfast is varied with cold and hot items and front staff is seasoned and professional. I stay here a lot on business trips, and I believe the hotel offers excellent value for me.

    5
« Great place to stop »

We just needed a quick stopover on our way down to Florida. This was a great choice as we had a 2 queen suite which was perfect for our family of 6. It was quiet, safe, and easy to get to off the interstate. The breakfast was good too--something for everyone with some basic carb breakfast items, fresh fruit, bacon and eggs, biscuits and gravy, and juices and coffee. The attendant was quick to replenish anything running low. Friendly staff, reasonable rates, and comfortable beds. I would stay here again if passing thru.

    « missing item »

stay was wonderful except for the missing item .they acted like I misplaced it .I do remember leaving on dresser.Shaddy looking guy cleaning the rooms that's about all I have to say about that pool was great so was the hottub

    « Best TV EVER! »

When I get a room for 1 night the object is sleep and 3hrs of TV. I also look for nearby food/drink. This property appears to be a 1st gen Hampton Inn rebranded to a B/W. Upon arriving to the area, (after not having lunch), I was REALLY hungry. So I spotted the hotel from I-75. Then saw a Cracker Barrell at the next signal east of the hotel. If you turn left (and go up the hill you'll find several more eateries and a Kroger store). Within 100yds of the hotel on its road,is a Waffle House (a southern favorite). Upon checking in I noticed it had exterior hallways , ZIKA,ZIKA ZIKA!!!(THANKS media).( Just stay inside after dusk). The property has a indoor pool which I don't use but looked inviting. The TV had 50-75 TV channels (ALL HD)!!! Channels I don't even get at home. On my stay there was an issue with really slow WIFI (which surprised the desk clerk). Since I needed to make the next reservation (if you don't have one you'e basically the same as homeless),Because of that, I had the shakes so bad I couldn't even double click the mouse. He patiently helped thru the problem The breakfast bar had the BEST eggs in a hotel I can remember,(HMM butter!!).along with sausage muffins etc.

    « Heading to FL »

My husband & I have stayed here before on our way to FL & decided to again this yr., because of the quality & price. It has easy access from I-75. It is close to good places to eat. Think you will find it a bargain.

  • 3
    « it was OK. »

Not a bad place. I think we paid like $89. It wasn't bad, probably a good spot to stop if we had brought our dog. Super friendly staff, breakfast could have had more selection, but it was complimentary! It's just older and needs some updating... but good for the value. I would stay here again but my hubby said he wouldn't....

    4
« GREAT PLACE TO STAY »

Great place to stay but the parking area is tight if you drive a full size car or van. But, the breakfast makes up for it because they have the best person I have ever seen in charge of the breakfast area. She made each guest feel like they were the only person in the breakfast area and she was there for your ever need. Her smile and cheerful personality lifted everyone's spirit. What a great person to start your day with!!!!!

    5
    « Great Stay »

Customer service was excellent from phone reservation, check in /out, breakfast attendants....Clean rooms and everything functional. I would recommend this hotel for one or multiple stays. Easy access from Interstate 75.

« *Potential Hospital/Death risk due to Anaphylaxis/Allergies to Pet Dander in rooms »

I call the 800 number for Best Western (because I was recommended Best Western Hotels by AAA, of which we are members) to get information about these hotels. We have always stayed at Sleep Inns with NO probelms what-so-ever. We have severe allergies in our family to foods and animals. Most hotels do allow animals, however most also have rooms where animals have never been for those of us who have severe allergies. I was told by the CSR at the 800 number that every hotel should have rooms where animals have not been. It turns out this hotel has NO rooms that animals have not been in. (Gee, I'm glad I asked because had we reserved a room and a family member died in the night due to severe allergic reaction, can we say MASSIVE lawsuit?) The manager said they don't turn away anyone who has an animal--that's great for animal lovers who don't die from the dander--but not good for those of us who have anaphylactic shock from animal dander. Don't get me wrong--I love Fido as much as you--he's fluffy, he's cute--I wish I could hold him, but I go to the hospital if I do, or if I come in contact with his skin or hair or saliva. This chain should have better rules about having rooms which have never been visited by animals over all. I never have a problem at Choice Hotels like Sleep Inn or Comfort Inn. Never been sent to the hospital once while staying at a Choice Hotel. I guess I'll return my business there.

Our family of six had a great overnight stay at the Best Western Macon Georgia off the 475. Everything was very clean and satisfactory. Beds were very comfortable and the wifi and cable were excellent.

« Excellent Stay, best breakfast attendant »

We arrived at this hotel rather late. Mark, the front desk clerk was very pleasant and check in went accordingly. The property is well managed and kept well. The room was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. The room came equipped with a flat screen television, mini refrigerator, and microwave. The bathroom was very clean and the shower provided great water pressure. WiFi was a bit spotty, but it was no problem. The hotel is very small however it does offer an indoor pool and fitness center. Breakfast was above average and the number of choices were endless. I have no complaints about my stay. Stephanie, the morning clerk was also very pleasant and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Ms. S. the breakfast attendant has a wonderful attitude and loves talking to the guests. She even asks what guests want to eat and personally serves them. I would expect this level of service at a full service hotel. I was very impressed. Congrats to Ms. S. on Employee of the Month.

    « Overall good »

Very happy with my staying at this hotel , price was right, clean rooms ...an unpleasant odor when going in the room but will go away with personal perfume. The breakfast was the best , a lot to choose from and the lady in charge was a doll . Will stay at best western hotels again in the future . The person at front desk looks like he may need an energy drink , kind of slow and not too friendly but I will not rate hotel for this . I will recommend and will stay again in the future on my regular traveling .

    5
« Pet Friendly, Great Service, Spacious Lobby »

Very please with this pet friendly hotel. Both check in was very smooth and I would definitely stay at this property again. Breakfast was typical but the service was outstanding the server was very attentive.

    2
    « Okay »

It was okay for the money. The beds were awful, extremely noisy (bad Springs) and uncomfortable. The floors were very dirty, but you should assume all hotels are that way. The only real good thing was the hot breakfast. I would spend the extra money and stay somewhere a little better.

    5
« The BEST hotel I have ever visited! »

The staff was the friendliest; the shower had the hottest water I could use; the sheets were the softest I've ever slept on; the A/C was the coldest and was on and running when I arrived. Even though the hotel is right next to the highway, it was the quietest I have ever experienced at any hotel I've stayed at.....This hotel is an award winner for sure!!! I HIGHLY reccommend Best Western Inn & Suites of Macon!

It met the requirements for my purpose. Close to what I needed. The room was clean, smelled fresh, quiet atmosphere. Customer service was great. I do plan to book again in for November. I was accommodated downstairs due to my military injuries and that was a plus.

« Still Cheerfully Pet Friendly in Macon »

We have reviewed this hotel a number of times and the reviews have always been favorable. Once again we stayed at the Best Western, Chambers Road on May 27, 2016. Several times a year we pass by Macon on our way to the N.C. mountains or other places and since we travel with our dog, we require a pet friendly hotel. Time and time again we return to this hotel to find it well-maintained, clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and with a very good included breakfast. While we don't need anything fancy while overnighting in Macon, we do hope for a reasonable degree of "cheerfulness" and we find that here. We have stayed in a number of pet friendly hotels elsewhere that while fulfilling our basic needs, are run down and a bit depressing. We will continue to return to the Best Western, Chambers Rd.

    5
« Regular stopover while traveling »

Regular stop for us as it's about halfway between home and parents house. Great place for families at a reasonable price. Pool is nice and open year round. Beds are great and rooms are clean. Also, they have one of the best free breakfasts for a hotel that I've had.

    5
    « macon stopover »

While driving from Tennessee we targeted Macon as our halfway point. WE we were pleased to get lodging at this BW on Chambers road after reading reviews. Rooms were nicely appointed, great tv, indoor heated pool and large well kept spa, adjoined the fitness center. There was also the full hot breakfast avaliable the next morning, and 24hour cofee in the lobby. Several restaurants available at very short distances and easy on and off highway make this spot exceptionall atttractive. All service people we dealt with were pleasant and efficient. We would highly recommend this hotel .

    4
    « Stopped while traveling »

We stopped here while traveling because they allowed dogs. It was clean, the free breakfast was good. The service was great. It was cheap. There really wasn't anywhere to walk to dog though. All around good stay. We stopped here while traveling because they allowed dogs. It was clean, the free breakfast was good. The service was great. It was cheap. « Over night stay »

Stayed in room 205. Two queen beds. The room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean with a massaging shower head. Adequate linens. Clerk was friendly at check in. Even provided toothbrushes upon request. We enjoyed a quiet nights rest. Breakfast was good with a selection of scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, cereals, waffles, sausage patties, various muffins or Danishes, juice and coffee. The lady in the breakfast area was very accommodating and sweet. Did not have time to enjoy pool or hot tub. Fast, easy check out.

    « Nice hotel! »

We didn't know where to stay in Macon, so we tried this hotel based on the reviews. Glad we did! It was a very nice clean hotel with a great indoor pool and full breakfast. The staff was friendly as well. I would highly recommend this hotel if you ever find yourself traveling through this town!

    5
« Good room, good price near I-475 »

The hotel is surrounded by other hotels near I-475 in west Macon. There is a Wal-mart nearby and we wound a great Indian Restaurant nearby. Check-in was polite and quick. The room was clean, had comfy two queen beds, nice bathroom, wifi, min-fridge and microwave. There were plenty of channels on the flatscreen TV. We enjoyed the indoor heated pool and hot tub. We had a quiet nights sleep. The breakfast was good and had a decent selection of hot and cold items. The bacon and the eggs were sitting in water though. The price was decent too.

    5
    « Great!! »

The room was great!! Clean, nice, and comfortable. The TV was nice and big. We got the jacuzzi room and the jacuzzi was big and worked great. It was very relaxing. Check in was fast and easy, and friendly crew.

« Great value for the money! »

Loved the large pool and hot tub. We had a King Suite which was very large. The bed was extremely comfortable. Large flat screen TV with extensive cable channels. The breakfast was excellent with many choices and the staff was friendly. Would definitely stay again.

« I stayed here by accident, but was glad I did! »

To explain my title, there are 2 Best Westerns in Macon. I thought I made my reservations at Best Western Riverside, I'm a bit technically challenged on the internet. I went to the front desk at Best Western Riverside, the young lady wasn't able to find my reservation. Very pleasant, patient and helpful she did determine my error and gave me directions to the Best Western I made the reservations at. The Best Western Inn & Suites is located conveniently near the Interstate and restaurants. Now that I was at the right hotel checkin went smoothly. The hotel is older but has been recently remodeled and updated. Very clean and quite. The WIFI was dependable and fast compared to a lot of the hotels I have stayed in. They have a soda machine but no snack or candy machine. The room had a small refrigerator/freezer and microwave. Breakfast was buffet style and good. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

    « Carol williams »

This was a very clean, friendly and comfortable Inn. The breakfast room was immaculate with lots to chose from but the best part was Sheryl Slaughter who works the breakfast room. She greeted everyone with a big smile and morning greeting, she offered to cook your waffles while you fixed your plate and got your coffee. Great stay there.

« Not quite very good, but better than good »

We chose this hotel because it's right off the bypass around Macon, and the price was right. We asked for a quiet room when we made our online reservation and the desk pointed out he was giving us a quiet area on the second floor. We were happy with the lack of noise even though the hotel was mostly full. Our room was clean and comfortable but was beginning to show some wear on the appointments. TV and wireless internet worked as expected. A/C was adequate and kept the room a constant temp. Breakfast was adequate but not outstanding. Waffles were just OK. Cereal choices limited, and sausage links looked strange. Breakfast staff was very helpful and friendly. All entrances to rooms are from the outside. Office is locked overnight until exactly 6 AM, so no getting hot coffee early at this place. Overall it met our needs for a one nights stay.

Room was very comfortable. Nice breakfast in the morning. Hotel had indoor pool. Mall and lots of restaurants close by hotel. Would stay here again. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Easy access to freeway.

    « Overnight Stay »

We used this hotel as a stop on our way to Orlando. I booked online, and check in on our arrival at the front desk was easy. Staff was nice and very informative. Our room (non-smoking, king sized bed) was very clean and comfortable. The room door opens to the outside. The hotel is close to the interstate but from our room there was no noise. Plenty of food options all around, including Chickfila and lots of sit down restaurants. We had dinner at a local Mexican place and it was awesome! Hotel bed was comfortable and was everything I was expecting plus some. Check out was just as easy as check in. Great overnight stay for those passing through!

    « Oldie but a Goodie »

Stayed one night on our way south. Good location very close to interstate. There are a few restaurants very close as well. This hotel is older but we found the room to be tidy. Great spot for one night when traveling in our opinion! Staff is fantastic. From desk staff to the breakfast attendant, all were very friendly and helpful!

    « Dirty rooms »

The rooms were old, the carpets were dirty - my kids socks were black after walking around in them in the room. The toilet would not stop running, and we found dead bugs on the bed. We chose this Hotel because we were looking for a pet friendly hotel and this hotel was the first to come up on TripAdvisor as pet friendly. I would highly recommend the La Quinta right behind this Best Western in Macon GA. It is also pet friendly and new!

    « Surprising Stay! »

Saw this site on Booking.com for about $80 (including taxes and fees) and thought we would give it a try. The king-sized bedroom was very nice and clean. The only issue was the humidity (which made the room feel "damp"), but what else to expect from an outside entrance, in the summer, in Georgia? The a/c worked great to cool off the room. Breakfast was great, and Ms. Sheryl was the true definition of "southern hospitality". As usual patrons of Hampton Inns, this place makes me rethink where to book next time. In other words, my husband and I look forward to possibly using Best Westerns in our booking future!

Very convenient to the places we needed to be and the staff very helpful. The rooms were cleaned each day by return time and not any noise from above or next door which means for a nice rest. stay here

    « Yummy breakfast »

We stayed last night. Cranesong smell when entering Lobby was very strong which i suggest another cleaner. Rooms were adequate beds were okay and the breakfast was much better than most eggs bacon , biscuits and gravy and waffles. Sheryl the breakfast attendant was very helpful. This is an average hotel at an average price and a great one-night stop over.

    « Excellent »

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the BW in Macon. We will make this our usual stop on our travels from Illinois to Florida. If you need a place to stay in Macon, GA do not hesitate to make this your stop. I cannot say enough good things about this motel. Everyone is super.

    « True review »

Check out my other reviews. We stayed here based on reviews and it is right off the exit. This place is disgusting and over priced. They lure you in with coupons from the hotel coupon book and then they tell you they will not honor the coupon. The rooms reeked. We had to air out the room for a few hous before it was bare able. The breakfast was only adequate. If you are looking for a nice place to stay off I 75, try the Days Inn in Tifton. Reasonable prices and nice new rooms.

« Rude manager, room smelled »

We stopped to spend the night in this hotel on our way home. We stayed in a gacuzzi suite, the room smelled like mold , it had a strange lemon smell which only made it worse. The room was pretty clean looking. The next morning we ate breakfast at the hotel, it was average ,however the women working in that area was very helpful and overly friendly. When checking out after waiting up front for over 10 minutes I walked to the breakfast area to ask that employee where the front desk employee was so that we could check out. A few minutes later a women wearing a managers badge came and said we would just have to wait that they had a water leak. Then she said to just give her the key. I asked for a copy of the recipe, she then said it was a free room why did i need a copy. I told her that there was a $5.00 fee that my points did not cover , she said you want a copy of the charge for $5 , i said yes i want to know what my charges are. She then printed me a copy she was very short and very rude . She should not be working in guest services at all. Plus the room was not free it was earned from the points rewards which I have earned from past stays. The girl who checked us in last night could not explain the $5.00 fee either, she said it was some city fee that she has only been working there a year and did not really know what the fee meant. Seems like she needs an in service. In closing the room smelled, and the front desk morning manager was rude, unprofessional and should quit since customer guest services is something she is not good at !

    « Nice stay »

Great value. Comfortable beds, very helpful staff. The lobby has an attractive water feature. One particularly nice feature in the room was the freezer in the mini fridge. It was an actual freezer with a separate door. Great for those traveling with coolers and "blue ice"! We had a king suite, which is on the back end of the building and heard no noise from the highway. We would definitely stay here again.

    « Nice stopover »

Needed a pet friendly stopping point on recent trip to NC. Based on TA reviews, we selected BW. Checkin with Stephanie was fast and friendly and ended w a doggie treat. Nice touch! Room was clean, quiet, and a good price. There is a Waffle House just up the street and a mall just up the road. Downtown Macon is 5 mi away. Good eats, well, kinda scarce.

« Great Breakfast comfortable bed »

The breakfast choices were very good, the staff was helpful and courteous plus we had a very good nights sleep on a comfortable beds. Room was clean, we were able to get a handicap friendly room because of our mentally and physically handicapped daughter.

    « family overnight stay »

We stayed here on our way to Florida for our family vacation. Rooms were clean, peaceful and accommodated nicely. The hallway was hot and humid but the room was nice and cool. Immediately off I75 and would definitely stay here again.

    « Good for a night's rest »

This hotel is on a strip of hotels and motels, and it is right off the interstate. There are restaurants within walking distance. There is no elevator, so get a first floor room if you have difficulty with stairs. The pool is in another building, but it's a short walk and the pool is heated and fairly large. There were a lot of smokers standing on the balconies outside of their rooms, so that was a little sketchy to have to walk through the smoke. The breakfast was good - lots of hot and cold options, a nice attendant, and plenty of room to sit. The beds were comfy, and the room was clean and quiet. I would probably stay here again if traveling through on a budget.

« Home away from home »

We love the Best Western in Macon Georgia!! Clean, comfortable rooms, great staff and super breakfast. We didn't use the pool or fitness center, so not sure how nice that facility is. The hotel is right off the bi-pass expressway, very convenient and easy.

    « Good Hotel »

Would have like to spend more time in Macon. Rooms were clean and the exterior was good, beds comfortable and reasonably priced. Best Western have a pretty good vibe. Free parking and free internet... free breakfast was ok.

« Great stop over spot »

We have stayed here several times as a convenient over night place when traveling. The motel is well maintained and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are fine, clean and well maintained. The location is just off the I75 exit and in an area where there are several restaurants to choose from. The breakfast is always good and the attendant is the best.

« Rated 3 Stars because the staff were great! »

I had reserved a King Accessible room. I got a double accessible room. I was never contacted before hand about this room change. While the room was comfortable, it was not what I reserved and was confirmed. When I opened a towel, I found a very long black hair inside the folds of the towel. The carpet was frayed at the entrance to the bathroom. The lobby had a strange fragrance about it that I cannot place but certainly did not like. The breakfast was OK. I do believe the eggs were real. But the sausage, biscuits and gravy were the typical bland stuff that most of this type hotel use. But since it was free, you get what you pay for. I had left an electronic device (e-diary) in my room and was called about it by the front desk. I went back by there and picked it up after I finished my business in town. I would stay here again unless I found a better deal. I wont mark this one off my list completely but would definitely look for another place first when going back to Macon.

    3
« Friendly Staff, but Unclean Room »

I was very impressed with the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. However, when I got to my room, I was disappointed. The floors had not been vacuumed and the bathroom was gross (there was hair on the floor and in the tub; there toilet paper was there from the last guest; and the toilet had not been cleaned). The bedroom nice, but could use some updating.

« Very Pet friendly and clean. »

The hotel was excellent - the whole property was very clean and well taken care of by the staff. Very pet friendly. We will stay there again on our return to Florida. It was the best hotel we have stayed in on our trips to Florida and back. The lady handling the breakfast was extremely courteous and went of her way to help us. The beds were comfortable.

« Good place to stay »

. Room was nice and it was CLEAN. There was a table and chair and above the table, a socket on the lamp to plug in a computer or whatever; large flat screen tv and easy to use remote, an easy chair w/ottoman, and the bathroom area had a spacious vanity area. refrigerator and micro worked fine. Wi-fi worked good. Swam in the indoor pool and it was clean and warm. Temp must have been around 83 or so. It was very nice. Bed is a little firmer than I usually like, but it was ok. Pillows were great. Breakfast was excellent, with homemade scrambled eggs cooked by the attendant, tasty sausage links, and some pretty good sausage gravy and all the other breakfast amenities. The attendant kept the tables and whole area clean. All in all a good experience; the only drawback was an odor emanating from the A/C when it ran.... it smelled like disinfectant. Or something you'd spray a dog with to kill fleas. Plenty of gas stations nearby. We would stay again if in the area.

« After a long day of travel »

WE stay at this hotel on our return trip home to Florida. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. We enjoy the complimentary hot breakfast after a relaxing and good nights sleep. We wake refreshed and ready for our second day of travel.

    « Stay Here! »

Great place to stay near Atlanta and Macon, convenient to I-75, easy get-on and get-off. Good breakfast selection. Clean rooms, nice pool. For those with disabilities, no elevator, outside stairs to upper level. Will be returning!

« Very Clean and Large Room »

We stayed for one night on a trip north. The room was very clean and it was also very large. We slept great and had many channels on the T.V. They had a good free breakfast in the morning. I would recommend this Hotel. The price was great for what you get.

    « terrible odor/filthy carpet »

Reception had to came spray the room as the odor was so bad. i placed the towels/hand towels/face cloths in a path from my bed to toilet so I do not have to touch the carpet. They were dishonest in not telling us it was a room used by animals. We could have left, but we travelled from Naples, Fl and after driving the whole day we did not have the energy to go look for another place and stupidly, we thought we will get use to the smell, but we were mistaken

« Five Star for Quick Overnight »

This Best Western was great for a quick overnight. It was very well maintained. Everything was nice and clean and neat. Front desk service was professional and helpful. The room was excellent with nice beds and bedding and all room amenities were perfect for the price. Easy parking in front of room. They had a very nice full standard style breakfast with "real" eggs. The breakfast attendant was very cheerful and helpful. She offered to make my waffle. She was very good about giving directions to local shopping areas. This hotel is on a service road by the interstate. Great for a quick stop while traveling.

    5
    « Family Trip »

Great Hotel - We've stayed at this hotel many times. Excellent restaurants are located nearby. Location off the highway is excellent. Breakfast is excellent. But, better support to handicapped travellers is needed. Rooms are noted as ADA compliant, but some simply have hand rails in the bathroom. That does little to help handicapped travellers.

    « Satisfied and rested »

After driving 14 hours, all we needed was a clean room, comfortable bed and friendly service. We were completely satisfied. The room was very clean, the mattress was super comfortable and Sheryl, the staff that served the morning breakfast, was the best customer service of our trip. I will mention that it is a two story building, so if you don't do stairs, make sure you ask for the main floor.

« Bed Bugs Dishonest People »

So i book the room i stayed in for a week. After a couple of days i started feeling like i was being bit by something. I assumed it was maybe a mosquito so i continued to stay. Well up until i was eating my food a hard round brown bug reared his ugly head. I pressed on him until he stopped moving. Wrapped him up in a napkin and sat him in the drawer so that i could show management but after i experienced that I couldn't sleep so i asked a relative to pick me up. When I called to complain I was told that management has to call their technician to inspect and I'll hear something later. He also told me that the housekeeping staff didn't find anything. Afterwards I told him that the bedbug was in a drawer wrapped in a napkin he immediately hung up the phone on me I guess that was to rid the evidence now I wish I had of kept it and took it to the health department. There is no way an Establishment is going to admit to bedbugs which upsets me because that was their way of calling me the liar and covering their behinds. Very unprofessional and dishonest. No compensation and I have these embarassing marks on me. Do not stay here unless you enjoy getting feasted on. Pictures doesn't lie. Haven't heard anything maybe this would help.

« very neat and clean »

We were very happy with everything about this hotel. Friendly helpful staff, rooms very clean, breakfast was very good. The location was near restuarants. However we ordered in as we were tired. I would recommend this hotel. All areas of the hotel were well maintained and clean. Great place to stay.

    « Clean Rooms »

Friendly staff and clean rooms we were also impressed with the hot breakfast. We travel through this area often from Nashville to Florida and we will be staying there again. I will be recommending this hotel to our friends and family members that also travel this route often.

    « Claims to be dog-friendly »

Most of the staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean and the indoor HEATED pool and hot tub were fantastic. One of the bad thing was that there is practically no grass on the hotel property. We brought our dogs with us and they had no where to go to the restroom at besides close to the road. Also one of the employees tried to hit my 9 pound dog with a broom. My dog was10-15 feet away from this woman and was on a leash under control. There was no reason for this.

    « Very Good Value »

« Great Place To Stay »

My wife and I are traveling with our daughter and her family to DisneyWorld and wanted to get closer to Orlando before driving the last leg of our trip (from Chicago). We reserved two rooms. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel is clean and the rooms are very nice. The desk person was very friendly and helpful. Even the lobby was very pleasant and well decorated. You can tell the management is determined to run a nice place. The swimming pool and whirlpool were clean and large. The kids had a great time staying here as well. The breakfast was good -- real eggs instead of dehydrated and a good assortment of items to choose from. I recommend this place highly. Jim T.

    « 2 separate overnight stays »

Stopped here on our way to and from Florida. Great price and clean! Stopped just to shower and sleep. 2 different ladies when checked us in on 2 different weekends. They were very friendly. Only complaints- Upstairs ice machine was out of order, so we had to go downstairs since we stayed on the 2nd floor both nights. Parking was very full when we checked in around midnight on a Thursday night (Easter weekend). Not a very big parking area for the amount of rooms. But we'll definitely stop here again on our next long drive to Florida!

    « Tried it but couldn't stay »

After sitting in room for an hour, I felt itchy and uncomfortable. Entry to the room was from outside which I did not care for as I was traveling solo. I also had my 2 small dogs with me and there was no where to reach grass (only rocks) from my side of the building. I asked for and was promptly given a refund which was appreciated.

Super clean and quiet hotel at a great price. Got one of the rooms with the huge tub with jets and my husband was so excited to finally have a bathtub he could fit in. Great value for the price! Also had an awesome breakfast there and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely re-visit!

« King Bed great but sofa bed a disaster »

We needed a sofa bed for our teenage daughter and I called twice before we landed in order to confirm that was the type of room we were getting (king bed plus sofa bed.) When we got in that night and opened the sofa, it was really gross. The stained mattress (there were no linens) was about 2" thick and the foam was coming out the rips in the side. Our 5'9" kid was willing to try and drape herself over the loveseat rather than deal with the mattress, even if the front desk could give us linens. Instead my husband asked the desk person for a rollaway which arrived about 25 minutes later. We opened it up (linens on it) and it turned out to have the same type of creepy mattress as the sofa bed had -- with the added ugh of a very creaky frame so every time she turned over, it woke all three of us. We wound up taking our comforter and trying to create another layer as a buffer and then used our beach towels on top as blankets. A miserable night for all. On the plus side, the room was surprisingly quiet, the room and bathroom was very clean and the king bed was terrific which is what made the sofa bed/rollaway situation all the more frustrating. The breakfast was pretty meh, although the staff was remarkably pleasant. Had to remind ourselves that it was a pretty good value for an overnighter although that bed thing...

« Do not like the area »

Made it up to Macon, Georgia at 3PM. We stopped at a Best Western on the bypass around the city. This area is full of hotels, but in an environment, we do not like! We also found it difficult to get to eateries by walking. = Never been to a hotel with TWO strong extra locks on the door!!!! In the future I will not stop in the Macon area.

    5
    « Stay in Style »

Best Western has proved me with many wonderful and relaxing overnight stays. While traveling I arrive tired and they process my registration with minimal delays. They serve a wonderful and diverse breakfast prior to my departures. Try this hotel chain, you'll be happy you did.

    « Great Night Sleep »

We were traveling home from Florida and planned on stopping for the night somewhere near Atlanta. It started to rain pretty hard so we got online and found the Best Western in a hurray for a deep discount off the regular rate. The room had to be entered from the outside and we were getting wet but the room was spacious and very comfortable. The hot breakfast had eggs, bacon, waffles, biscuits and gravy, juice etc. Good night, Good breakfast.

« Great place to stay for things going on at Middle Georgia State College!!! »

This hotel is awesome for a family!! Our son was competing at a tech competition at Middle Georgia State College, Macon Campus, and this hotel was literally 3 minutes from the campus. It has complimentary full hot breakfast, indoor pool and indoor hot tub AND they allow pets!! Great front office, easy check in, landscaping was beautiful! Price was great.

    5
« Great for a Night or even a longer stay »

This is an older style hotel with all the rooms opening to the outside no interior corridors. Our room was a King suite with a very comfortable bed, a small fridge with a freezer compartment on top, microwave, one cup coffee maker w/ decent coffee, sofa and a very large flat screen tv (50" or so). Very clean room and bathroom shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. Everything had been updated so even though it was and older property the management cares about keeping it in good repair and the furnishings up to date. Even the included breakfast was above average with hot scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy and all the usual cold options. I highly recommend this property.

« Great stay after a long day on the road »

We really like this place & will be returning when we head to FL again in the future. Was surprised the pool was heated along with the big hot tub. Food was really great & staff did excellent job with the food, check in & check out. They even remembered us from the time when we were there before!! Liked that there were so many places to eat close by. Was able to walk over to the Waffle House for our evening meal.

    3
    « Adequate for a night stop »

We found this Hotel very handy for the I 75 road network and it provided us with a good location for a night-stop. The exterior of the Hotel was not exceptional but the room was spacious, clean and tidy. It also had tea and coffee making facilities which we greatly appreciated. There were restaurants around but you will need to drive to them. We made the mistake of walking and could only find a Waffle House and Subway (attached to a garage). Breakfast was included in the booking fee and was of buffet style with a good choice. We found the staff very nice and helpful.

    « Above & beyond! »

This was a one night stay that resulted in a precious item accidentally being forgotten. It was a family heirloom that my recently deceased husband had given our son. When we realized it was forgotten we contacted the hotel who promised to mail it to us. We were on pins and needles till it safely arrived. It was not the first time someone in our family has forgotten an item in a hotel. It IS the first time we actually received it back. Other times far less sentimental value and NOT this hotel. We definitely plan to return the next time we travel through Macon, GA. There was also an individual who prepared breakfast who was very gracious and accommodating. It was great to have freshly scrambled eggs and bacon instead of the usual microwaved prepared breakfast.

    « Finally! »

We had a not so pleasant experience with the weeklong hotel we stayed in florida so upon heading back home we wanted a decent priced hotel with a indoor pool and hot tub. Macon, Georgia! We got their last room for the night and they were soo friendly and this place was just what we needed! This one night stay was much better than our 6 days stay at the hotel in florida! Nice comfy beds and the morning hot breakfast was excellent! The lady even made my entire family fresh mini waffles. This was a winner in our book! Keep it up!

« Best Western Recent Visit »

Breakfast variety is great. Rooms are very tidy. I had stayed at this Best Western several times in the more recent past and enjoyed each visit. The room met my basic expectations and the hotel staff was cordial and very accommodating.

« Room smelled of stale smoke »

The room was clean and very nice. Big TV with good programming. Only problem was my room smelled of old smoke even though it was a non smoking room. I didn't ask to switch because the front desk person seemed put out just to check me in. Overall, it was a good place to stop for the price.

    « Very friendly hotel »

Staff at this hotel were exceptional. They made us feel that they were glad we stayed at their hotel. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when we go through the area. I had accumulated enough points on my best western reward program for a free night. I was not aware of this but the gentleman that checked us in let me know that I was eligible for the free night. I would call this exceptional service ...

« Good, but not sound proof »

Stopped for one night. Room was clean, comfortable, well maintained, but could hear noise from neighboring rooms (TV, doors closing), and highway noise (our room was on the highway side). The noise wasn't loud, but was noticeable. This hotel is in an area with other hotels, gas stations, WalMart, restaurants. There is an outside, security night-check-in window; indicating there is crime in the area. The pool and whirlpool were large by todays standards. The room had a small refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast provided consisted of hot scrambled eggs (not usually found on a continental breakfast buffet), bacon, biscuits and gravy, cold cereal, oatmeal packets, toast, bagel, hot waffles, apples and bananas packaged pastries and the usual beverages. Ten percent discount rate is available for AAA members., but have to ask. This hotel serves its purpose of providing a clean, comfortable environment for a nights rest and moving on.

« Good Motel for the price »

First, remember this is a Best Western, with doors going from the room to the outside, and built probably in the 1970's. The rooms are clean, large, and a little dated. Beds comfortable, good large flat screen tv, refrigerator, microwave, quiet, plenty safe, well lighted. Very nice staff and breakfast. There is no elevator that I found, so if you don't want to carry luggage up an outside stairwell get a first story room. All rooms seem quiet, but we preferred one toward the back. Well located with lots and lots of restaurant options, Walmart about half mile away. Good value for the price.

    2
    « Quick stay »

Although the room was big and the beds comfortable, the floor was not vacuumed (we found toe nail clippings) and our TV didn't work. They did send a maintenance man to quickly fix the tv. The sheets were well worn and one set had pinkish stains on them which worried my daughter though they were clean. This is a budget motel, our room was near the entrance and the freeway noise was very loud. If you are looking for a cheep, quick, one night stay this might work for you but I'd give it only 2 stars.

« Very bad neighborhood with our rental truck broke into »

This location is in a bad neighborhood which of course we did not know prior to arrival. Just down the street a block is a transient hotel with a lot of shady things happening daily. They have very limited truck/trailer parking which that night was full. We were told to park next to the hotel in an unlit and un patrolled lot for which I had to talk my way out of a ticket for parking there without the owners permission. While parked overnight our rental truck was broken into in an attempt to steal our belongings and car on the trailer on the back of the truck. The hotel was unwilling to compensate me for our full loss and corporate said they could not as each location is independently owned and operated. Best Western has now lost my business and they should be ashamed of how they failed to step up after this incident.

    « A Good Place To Stay »

Everything about this location is top-notch. The only problem that arose was the hot water ran out during my morning shower. I stayed warm. I will say the place was full. If you stay there, you might take your shower later or earlier than 7:00AM. As an old road warrior, I know that's when hot water can be at a premium.

TA had this one pegged right. Clean, friendly, safe, quiet and super affordable. Paid $78 for King room. Had pullout couch, fridge, microwave. Pet Friendly. One off location. Walking distance to food/snacks/ beer. Good looking pool but heater broke on day we stayed. No biggie. Breakfast was awesome. Eggs/bacon/ biscuit n sausage gravy were among a wonderful assortment. Everything presented bright and clean. Attendant kept it spot on. She even cooked your waffles! Will definitely stay again on my Florida runs. Great job Best Western!

« Overall a clean, comfortable hotel, in a location with plenty of restaurants nearby. »

Chose this for a convenient, economical 1-night stay on our way to FL, so only needed it for a nonsmoking room wth a bed, shower, in-room wifi, and breakfast, but it also had a microwave, small refrigerator, sofa sleeper, indoor pool area, laundry facility, and was close to a variety of restaurants. The room and common areas were clean and in relatively good condition. Next morning's breakfast had nice offerings, the eating area was kept clean and stocked, and the attendant was friendly. When we checked in at 4:30 p.m. on a Thursday, there was only one other car in the parking lot, so we expected a very quiet stay in our 2nd floor room. But when we left the room for dinner at 7 p.m., the lot was full, and a large group of road construction workers staying there were near our door, lining both sides of the outdoor corridor balcony, smoking cigarettes and holding bottles. We felt uncomfortable walking through them to our parked car at the base of the stairs, though they said nothing verbally abusive. But when we returned and they were still there, we felt more comfortable parking our car at the base of the other staircase and reaching our room from there. Once in our room, cigarette smoke leaked in through the air handling unit, and they were loud and banged room doors, but we were watching TV at that time. To their credit, when we went to bed at 10:30 p.m., you wouldn't have known they had been outside (quieted down, left, or went to bed), but the room still smelled like smoke, and I am sensitive to smoke. I told the front desk associate about it the next day, but she simply apologized and said as long as they were outside, it was allowed, so I didn't press it. That is the one downfall of having only outside entrances to the room, so be aware of that possibility. Otherwise, the facility overall was clean and pleasant, and we will probably stay here on our routine winter trip to/from Florida, possibly requesting a room closer to the front of the hotel.

« Why only two stars? »

I really do not understand why this hotel has only 2,5 stars? We found it via tripadvisor and were very happy with the recommendations/price and the fact that a fitness studio is available. The room is very big and clean and also the fitness studio has a good small selection for sport. I can recommend a stay!

    « Macon »

Pool towels were not available. Parking was not good based on an RV and three vehicles with trailers. Unable to park anywhere near our room. Guests in the pool were inconsiderate and their children were unsupervised.

« Always Stay here on way to Florida »

This hotel is clean, convenient and has a friendly, professional staff eager to help in any way. The rooms are clean and all the amenities included. Gas and restaurants are nearby often within walking distance.

« Driving home through Ga. »

Since we were going to be getting to hotel late we decided to look for something less expensive than normal, I was a little nervous about that only because I like a clean hotel. Not that expensive insures cleanliness. I was very happy to see the room. It was CLEAN. Once air was moving in the room the smell of being closed up was gone. Bathroom was very clean. For an older place I was very happy with how it looked. The carpet was the only thing I thought could have been cleaner... But all floors could be, including my own. For the price and the fact that all we did was sleep in the room it was great. We may use this one from now on. The free breakfast was very good too. Much better than our usual place. All of the employees we had contact with were really nice. Good place to rest your head. Maybe bring your own pillow :)

    « Good breakfast »

Nice, clean room with a good hot breakfast. Staff were very helpful in getting us a ground level room. Only wish it had interior corridors. Very convenient to I-475 with lots of restaurants and shopping in the area.

    « Xmas Trip North »

The hotel is very convenient to the highway and the staff was very nice.Every thing was very clean but very old,it must be at least 20 years old.The breakfast was nice and the room was clean, however it was very small 10 people was an overflow crowd. The exit is a little dangerous as a clear view is needed.

    « Stopover »

My wife and I stop here as a half way point on our way to Bradenton Fla. each New Years Eve and we are always well pleased with this hotel. The staff are all courteous and effeicient, rooms are very nice, breakfast is great. The value is there too. We recommend highly.

« Nice Property, Right Off the Highway. »

This is a property at the intersection of Exit #3 and I-475 that goes around the City of Macon. There are many properties in the area. I suspect there are a lot of one-night stays at the BW property, as it is conveniently located from the highway and on the route through Georgia to get to Florida or to locations to the north. One parks in front of the rooms on the first level, and take the stairs for the second level (we were on the first level). There was little noise from vehicles or other guests. The bedding and heating/cooling, along with other amenities were very comfortable. The check-in and check-out was very efficient, and the room was very reasonably priced (the least expensive of all stays between Michigan and Florida!). It was my experience on this two-week trip with several stays at BW properties that they have the 'better' complimentary breakfasts compared to their competitors. There are lots of choices for restaurants and shopping nearby, and the trip into Macon is not that far for an even greater selection. I would stay here again!

    « Helpful Agent »

I was very pleased with the hotel management that noticed upon arrival that I am a senior and offered a discount to the reserved rate. Nice touch, the Evening Agent was very helpful. The placed is clean and comfortable and affordable. I will plan all my future stays when travelling south at this hotel.

    « Disappointed »

Booked this strictly for the pool and hot tub. Paid via Hotels.com. Upon arrival, the lighted marquee outside said heated pool and hot tub. Upon arrival at the front desk, there was a sign saying the pool heater and hot tub were not working. Paid just shy of $100.00. Daughter was totally bummed as we drove from Orlando all day. It was too late to cancel so I forked out the money. In the future, I think these hotels should be required to notify guests if their advertised amenities are out of order prior to the cancellation period. Many people book hotels just for such things as indoor pools or hot tubs. This is the second time I've been burned by a Best Western with their broken indoor pools and this is probably my last time staying with them.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was great and furnished well, bed was very comfy and shower was wonderful.. Indoor pool was nice and warm although the hot tub heater was not working. Work out room was satisfactory . Appearance of overall building and grounds was clean and up to date. Check in and check out was quick and easy, Great location from I-475.

    « Very Nice »

I spend alot of time in hotels related to work and this hotel was 4 out of 5 stars. Very clean, new furniture, comfortible bed, everything worked in the room. The only negative thing I can say is I sleep during the day because I work nights as a traveling nurse and the noise level was too high. Located next to a busy interstate and my room was also at the bottom of a staircase near the vending machines/ice machine and customer washer and dryers...A high traffic area...just wish there was more peace and QUIET please...

    3
    « good location »

good location, restaurants near, staff wasn't friendly, beds were very uncomfortable. I wouldn't stay here again unless I couldn't find anything else. it is just off interstate that's a plus. the breakfast wasn't to bad.

    « Comfortable nights sleep »

One night stay on way to Florida. Just off the highway. Near shopping and restaurants. The suit was nice, king size bed clean and comfortable, breakfast was good. Staff at breakfast was very friendly. Will stay again.

    « Sleep tight. »

Easy access to I475. Bed and pillows were a dream come true; great night of sleep. Room was clean and linens, towels were v/g quality and plentiful. Front desk and breakfast room staff were helpful, friendly and engaging. Room was spacious; amenities adequate; breakfast hot and typical fare. Chose this inn based on Trip Advisor reviews and pet friendly. No negatives; will stay again.

    2
    « "Motor Inn" - older, dated »

Friendly staff. Hotel is really a motor inn. Bed, bedding and towels need improvement. Overall presentation low quality. Telephone in room wasn't working; night clerk attempted to resolve problem to no avail. As we did not immediately need it and were tired from our journey, we left it alone.

« One night stop over »

Beds very comfortable, decor needed upgraded, the room was clean except for stains on carpet. Location was very good, was easy off interstate. We normally stay at this exit several times a year, will be staying here again.

    « Brutal traffic noise »

The room itself was fine. Beds were comfortable. We arrived very late & were exhausted. Still had a terrible night - the noise from I75 was a killer. Very close to 75 and no real "back side" of the building since it's built perpendicular to the freeway. The rest of the motel was fine.

    4
« I would definitely stay there again »

The rooms were very clean, nicely decorated, and the staff was very courteous and helpful. The layout of our bathroom was a combined shower and vanity. So it got steamed up and took a while to clear out for my wife to put on makeup. But it was not a big problem. I would definitely stay there again.

« Great hotel for a quick stop »

Great hotel right off interstate 475, pet friendly with very nice indoor pool and spa, clean up to date rooms nice shower and good beds. Only problem I see is there is no parking if you are towing anything.

« Best stop over heading to Florida »

This is the second year in a row we used this hotel as our stop over on our way to Disney. Once again, this Best Western did not dissapoint. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was large, clean and comfortable. As usual, the hotel appeared to be pretty full, but we hardly heard any sounds. The breakfast options are awesome! One of my daughters listed making her own waffles as one of the highlights of our trip! See you again next year Best Western - Macon!!

« Great hotel, but no elevator »

We stayed one night on travel through. Lovely hotel and very nice person at desk. We were assigned a second floor room and when we found there was no elevator, we asked for a first floor room. The reservation woman was very accommodating and put us in a handicapped room on the first floor which was great.

    « Good enough. »

I booked here because the cost was reasonable. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good in it's choices. The sausages links were a bit cold. Eggs were good. Sausage gravy was pretty good. Fresh fruit and etc. Something for everyone. I will stop here on our return trip.

    « An oldie but a goodie »

This hotel is older, but it is clean. We weren't too crazy about the outside entrance to our room, but we survived ;) The blankets on the bed were clean, the room was clean and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was very good! Sheryl, the lady that takes care of the breakfast area, is AWESOME! ! She offers to make your waffles and keeps the area so clean and tidy! She deserves recognition of doing an exceptional job!

Big Bang for your buck. Rooms very clean, okay gym with 2 treadmills, one elliptical and an okay weight machine. Nice breakfast buffet style includes biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, yummy sausage, waffles, fruit and the usual beverages. Sweet, SWEET lady helping out in the small yet roomy dining area. I'll go back especially because of her (hope she's still there!) I would definitely recommend this hotel!

« Great Rooms, Pool, Breakfast & People »

From coffee service in the lobby upon arrival through a very nice hot breakfast with lots to choose from, our stay in Macon was exceptional. Mark suggested an inexpensive upgrade & we seamlessly checked into a king suite, which was -indeed- sweet. The pool, whirlpool, & fitness center were excellent, & just what we needed after a long day's drive in terrible weather. And the bed was even better. Thanks to all the welcoming employees, it was an exceptional stay.

    « Bed bugs! »

Wife and I spent just one night at this Best Western. The night before we were home. Before leaving the motel we both started to itch. Upon further inspection we found we had 20+ bed bug bites each!... even killed one on the bed this morning. I'm sure the housekeeper saw the large blood smear.

    « Great »

I was very please with it very clean and bed was so nice good night sleep, the full breakfast was great. The only thing I suggest is adding closet are rack for Long clothes not in the bathroom. (I would stay again and go thru the Tripadvisor for the great deals, I did tell friends about my stay and it was right off the interstate which was great because the place I attend was two exit always. Great Location

    « Convenient location »

We stayed one night at this hotel. We found the staff to be very pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was good. The hotel is older but it was very clean. We were able to get to most restaurants easy enough as it has a good location.

« Perfect stop and pet friendly »

This is the perfect hotel for us: pet friendly and handicap accessability is excellent. Rooms have been recently redecorated and beds are excellent and very clean. Bathroom was spotless also. Outside noise was minimal but still just off Interstate so very convenient. We stay here every year and will continue to do so. Also: breakfast was excellent!

    « A Gem in Macon »

We decided to split up a long day on the way to the mountains, and picked the Best Western because of it's location and pet friendly policy. What a great choice! It's right off I-475 and near a lot of shops and restaurants and it's a great hotel. The rooms are clean and up-to-date and the property is well-maintained. Free breakfast in the morning is a bonus. Highly recommend!

    « Excellent stay, again! »

We had a repeat stay here, having passed through Macon twice this year. This is an older hotel but exceptionally well maintained in terms of cleanliness. The hotel had the cleanest tub/shower of any of the 5 hotels we stayed in over an 8 day period. The beds were comfortable, our room which was upstairs, was quiet. The ladies stocking a great breakfast went out of their way to greet guests and help in any way possible. Definitely will stay here again.

« Good safe place to stay »

I was traveling down to Florida and needed a place to spend the night. The Best Western was clean, brightly lit, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was hot and there was a variety of foods available. It was a good value room.

    « Homecoming »

This Is a convenient location and a great value for the price. Bedding and pillows were very comfortable, and I enjoyed my stay. I was a little concerned about entering the room from the outside, but had no problems. I did not notice a problem with noise as indicated in some other reviews. I would definitely stay here again.

    « Perfect Place »

We broke up our annual trip from NC to FL with a rest at the BW in Macon and found a great hotel in a perfect location. We will return there next year. This pet friendly room had no effects of previous pets and the beds were very nice.

    « Wonderful Breakfast Service »

We last reviewed this hotel in June 2015 and praised it for being pet friendly and comfortable. This time we want to give a shout out to Sheryl who presides over the breakfast that is included in the room price. We have stayed in many Best Westerns and breakfast is frequently included. The breakfasts tend to be similar but we have wondered why the breakfast at the BW Inn & Suites of Macon is always much better than most. We stayed there again on October 16th and it was clear that the reason that the breakfast is so enjoyable is because of Sheryl who greets every guest as they arrive in the breakfast room and ensures that they have a pleasant experience. Sheryl always offers to operate the waffle machine for you and if you need to take something back to your room offers to get you a tray to ease your journey with the coffee, eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage, juice or whatever. I think that Sheryl's friendly nature rubs off on the guests as we seldom see any grumpy folks at this hotel. As noted, this review is about Sheryl and our earlier reviews address other aspects of this hotel.

    « You'll Enjoy Your Stay »

This motel is conveniently located near 475. The facility is well maintained (inside/outside), room was clean, neat, orderly and offered several amenities. The breakfast was outstanding and offered a variety of entries for your choosing. The employees of Best Western Inn & Suites of Macon, Georgia makes one feel welcomed and at home. They are the Utmost gracious host. The employees were professional and courteous at every level. Their exemplary Southern hospitality guarantees that I will recommend this motel to all my family and friends! If your travel take you in this direction this hotel is a must stay.

« I will not stay at another Best Westeren »

This hotel is so clean It fells like my home. Very close to our exit from the inter state. I fell safe there and welcomed by everyone. The bed felt great and no lack of covers the wash cloths and towels were white and not some other color.

    « Very poor service »

We were amazed and disappointed to be told that the jug coffee would not be refilled. As we could not find a cup of coffee in the nearby shopping mall we returned to the hotel at 5.00pm to be told by the front desk person that the empty jugs would not be refilled! This added insult to injury and totally destroyed our views of this hotel - indeed American hospitality. Yes, there was a coffee maker in the room but that's not the point. Hospitality is what separates good from bad in the hotel business and in this place what we received was closer to hostility. I travel to many places and have never received such bad service.

    5
    « Shower Bliss »

This shower has the most awesome water pressure. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows (there were 4 on each bed) were terrific. The room was clean, the staff was very professional and the breakfast was cooked to perfection. Great place to stay!

    « Great Value »

    « A very pleasant stay. »

Visited our son at Mercer University for the weekend and needed a hotel that was close to the school, had a reasonable cost, and had good ratings from customers. We found all 3 at the Best Western. The room was nice and clean with comfortable beds and a great refrigerator or our food items. The décor was modern and well-maintained. The hot breakfast was great and the ladies that served us were very friendly. The express checkout was a breeze too. Well will be staying here again.
