« Great value,. great location »

Really nice hotel in Chiswick, We stayed here on a recent Twickenham visit for the Rugby, I was pleasantly surprised with how nice this place was - and in a great location! Good option if you need to stay in the London area!

    « Very smelly breakfeast! »

We spent 2 nights in this hotel. Our room was on 2nd floor at the back and really nice. On first morning when we woke up, having slept with window open, (aircon not available), we found ourselves in a very smelly room. The grilling of bacon from ground floor was overwhelming, coming up through staircase but also coming in through window from outside! Needless to say that was very unpleasant!

    « absolutely horrible experience »

I had a project with company in Chiswick Business park. I arrived 2 days before the project and book this best western. Those were the coldest nights ever. I was sleeping fully dressed up and it was 10C degrees in the room. Complained many times to reception but nothing. the things became worse when i woke up and wanted to take hot shower - there was no hot water !!!! they said they couldn't do anything until the following day. NEVER stay there again.

    « Pleasant Stay »

We stayed here for two nights for a leisurely break away. It's a really nice area with some lovely restaurants and shops close by. The hotel is very nice, very clean, staff are friendly. Our room was really spacious with a living room area and kitchen however it was in the basement so we had no windows out onto the street and it was really warm but it did have air conditioning. It did feel a little claustrophobic at times. On our last morning the shower was cold. We rang reception and they told us it was a boiler problem and a one off thing but it would be fixed soon and they gave us an extra hour to check out but the water never fully heated up so we had lukewarm showers. The breakfast is very good. There's an underground station only an 8 minute walk away. It's a very safe area. We told reception that the shower never heated up, he did apologise and was very pleasant and told us if we ever decide to stay with them again that they will look after us. I think it would have been more fitting to have offered us some of our money back to be honest. On the whole it was a very pleasant stay. My only faults were the basement room and the shower problem.

    « Short Business Trip »

I stayed here while attending meetings in London and the Location was very good for what I needed. The Room I received was in the basement and was very small. This was ok for a couple of days as I was barely in the room but any longer and I may have went stir crazy with it

« Last minute booking but pleasantly surprised »

Excellent location on Chiswick High Road. Close to all restaurants, shops and bars. Our room was not part of the main hotel but in a block through a walk way which was fine. We had a king size bed and the room was very spacious. Everything clean as you would expect. Duvets were very thin so had to use the spare in the wardrobe but that's just down to personal preference. Ensuite clean and products available. Ironing board available on the stairs if needed. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. TV with remote in the room too which was good. All in all, a very pleasant room and perfect for what we needed which was a room for the night. Wouldn't recommend if you were looking for a hotel which had a bar as this doesn't.

    « Stop over 1 night »

Stayed here en-route to a holiday departing from Heathrow. We live in Essex so know the area well as previously lived in west London. Chiswick is such a lovely area and this hotel was lovely. Nice amenities in the room, lovely biscuits. Everything you need. I would really recommend this hotel to tourists visiting London, Chiswick high road is gorgeous it has great transport links, is 30 minutes from Heathrow and 20-30 minutes into city. Would definitely stay here again.

« Superb Hotel, and great value »

Stayed one night, to visit the nearby Sipsmiths distillery. Location is an easy 5 mins walk from Stanford Brook tube station. Checkin was efficient & friendly. Our room was comfortably large and looked immaculate - in fact it looked as if it just been refurbished. We did not try the aircon, but the Wifi worked perfectly. Tea & coffee were available in the lobby and in the room. The bathroom was "compact" with a decent size shower but no bath. Breakfast (extra £10) was a sizeable buffet, with decent cold and cooked options. We arrived by tube, but noticed there is a large carpark available. Highly recommended, especially considering the rate charged.

    « Brilliant very happy indeed !!! »

This was just a pit stop between travelling up the country, but i wil for sure return this has such a feel to the place you feel welcome from the second you walk in, nothing is to much trouble, staff amazing and attentive. Spending half my life in hotels due to work I do have a high expectation when it comes to the rooms and the staff but could not fault this hotel one bit. Thank you to all the staff i will for sure return in the very near future.

« best hotel i have stayed in! »

Would 100% recommend!! Stayed last week in the apartment suite, was so much more than i expected. 2 huge beds, a sofa and kitchenette with table! room and hotel is very clean and beautifully decorated. Breakfast room is gorgeous with the conservatory part in the morning. Breakfast had a very good selection which i thoroughly enjoyed. Staff were brilliant and more than helpful. The General Manager Pravin spoke with us and he is a very lovely and knows the area well. Excellent location, lots of shops and places to go around and easy access into London!.

    « Fantastic!!!! »

Stayed on Tuesday night with friends in an apartment suite. The rooms was beautiful and spotless. Breakfast room was beautiful and our breakfast was lovely. Staffs were very friendly especially the GM . Great location and surrounded by beautiful shops, restaurants and bars. Easy access to central London. If you are visiting London I would like to recommend this hotel, fantastic!

    « Lovely overnight stay »

I only stayed here for one night. The staff are friendly, the room was very clean. The only slightly off comment would be the bed and pillows were a little too firm for my liking. Overall a nice place to stay

« Very clean hotel and friendly stuff »

I was staying 4 nights in this hotel and it was very clean and comfortable, super friendly stuff. Only one thing that was not superb was breakfast. Beans were often pretty cold and eggs looked strange. All together great stay! Hotel is in very nice area and near to underground

« A good location to see many of London's attractions »

Excellent location on Chiswick High Street - with lots of eateries to suit all budgets within walking distance. Staff are very welcoming and friendly; rooms are spotless (albeit quite small). Has a FREE car park.

    « NOW LOST A REGULAR GUEST! »

We have had a company account with the Best Western Chiswick over the years as it is a convenient hotel near to our Head Office, but over the last year the customer service has reached an unacceptable level. When I booked a room for my boss (this booking was made on the 3rd October for a 1 night stay on the 24th October, so not a last minute booking) I spoke to the hotel receptionist, Miguel, and he confirmed the date and room booked and also followed this up with an e-mail specifying the date and room requested. When my boss arrived at the hotel he was told that they are fully booked and would have to take any room they have available. My boss tried to explain that he had a booking made for a specific room and that, even if the hotel is full, the room should have been reserved for him. Miguel told him that they do not reserve specific rooms for guests must that he must be mistaken! When my boss tried to tell him that he had himself sent us an e-mail confirming the room he become extremely rude and started to make faces at the other staff (professional?!) to try and make himself look right and my boss wrong. I wrote to the hotel manager and received a reply apologising and said that a trainee had accidentally removed the notes regarding the specified room from the booking but that still does not address the fact that the receptionist Miguel was extremely rude, denied any knowledge of an e-mail confirmation, although he was the person who sent it to us, and then made my boss feel extremely uncomfortable by indicating that he was ?not telling the truth?. I will not be making any future bookings there!

    2
    « We feel cheated!! »

This could have been a 5 star review as the room itself was perfectly nice and the bed was comfy. However, we were unsure whether we had paid for breakfast within the cost of the room so asked when we checked in and we're told yes it was included and were given breakfast times. The breakfast buffet was distinctly average however if included in our stay nothing to grumble about. On checking out however we were slammed with a £60.00 breakfast charge and even though we explained what we had been advised the gentleman on reception was more than unhelpful and ruined our last day in London by making us feel like it was all our fault. I must tell people if you are happy to pay £10 for breakfast which is what you will pay at the hotel, have a wander just outside the hotel where are there are lots of lovely coffee shops and restaurants offering tasty but affordable breakfasts that will leave you much more satisfied. Sadly will not be returning.

« You just lost my business »

I booked a basement room and sent an email requesting a basement room and got a reply from a receptionist called Miguel that I would indeed have a basement room. I arrive and check in only to discover that I didn't have a basement room. But luckily Miguel was on duty. He said that the hotel was full and he did not promise a basement room and when I said he himself had confirmed to me by mail that I did book a basement room he said that was not possible. He was very rude, unhelpful and kept on pulling faces to other reception staff like I was totally in the wrong. I've stayed in this hotel many times but now never again and if they employ staff like Miguel the standards will soon hit rock bottom.

« Not Impressed with this BW »

My room had a small narrow bed, a good amount of "walking around" space, and a small but nice bathroom with a shower. On the street, but quiet except for the occasional sirens. The "curtain" on my skylight did little to darken the room. Check the shower in your oom, as some are short, especially if you are tall. Mine was fine - open to the ceiling. The computer in the reception area needs updating, de-bugging, and a better browser. It would not let me access many of my usual sites. The night-time staff were unfriendly and not helpful, but the day-time staff were fabulous. Breakfast was not included in my rate but I treated myself one morning. It consisted of yogourt, fresh fruits, croisnats, bacon, sausage, eggs, etc.

    « Perfect »

Pristine hotel in excellent location to center of london. Very friendly staff , decor looks brand new quite modern but well done. Very clean. Excellent location in chiswick for direct access to the center of London also a descent price for a twin room.

« Great location really good price for London »

This is one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed in. One night stop over for a birthday week end in London. The room was huge, great bath room. I would like to give 5 stars but the room was so hot it didn't make for a very comfortable night. There is A/C but was ineffective.

« Probably the best location from which to explore the area »

A long weekend to visit family saw five of us stay here. It does not offer full hotel type facilities, such as a bar &c but that apart we had no complaints whatsoever. This place offers breakfasts at the (current October 2016) cost of £9.99 which were adequate and tasty. There is a coffee maker always on standby from which to obtain drinks on a totally free basis. Rooms were clean and tidy but do vary in style and size. Bed was very comfortable and did away with what I call "sweaty pillow" syndrome, that is to say, they are not of the type filled with the stuffing which makes sleeping uncomfortable and the nearest to feather type. Parking is limited at the front of the premises but a fairly large car park is accessible through an archway to the west end of the building. However, this is rather narrow and care must be taken when negotiating this access. We would return.

    « Nice Hotel »

We spent 2 nights here in a 3-bed family room. The room was very clean and spacious, the bathroom was small but again very clean, modern and functional with a lovely shower. The staff were very pleasant at check-in/out as were the cleaning staff we came across. We didn't have breakfast but it smelt fantastic as we walked past the breakfast area! The hotel is in a convenient location for the underground, buses and local restaurants. We will definitely stay here again.

    « very convenient location »

clean and tidy hotel, friendly staff. Great location close to nice bars and restaurants. minutes from the M4. Room in main hotel are very nice. Rooms in adjacent building nice but rooms slightly too warm I have stayed here several times and will do so again

« Excellent Hotel in a Perfect location »

We chose this hotel because it is close to Sipsmith Distillery and our daughter and son-in-law had given us a voucher for a tour there. The hotel is well situated within easy reach of two underground stations and there are plenty of places to eat nearby, Although our room was very small it had everything we needed and was clean and fresh. The breakfast is a buffet and you can help yourself to anything you would like. The staff were all pleasant and our check in was quick and efficient. We would certainly recommend this hotel as an ideal base for travelling around London because of its access to undergrounds and buses.

« A Great Place To Stay In London »

London is always a difficult place to find quality accommodation at a great price in a good location but this place ticks all the boxes! Or arrival we were ushered to our "room" which was out of the main hotel! It turned out to be an apartment! The place was lovely! Loads of room and great facilities! The hotel is situated close to some fantastic bars and restraints which are all reasonably priced and there is a Sainsburys and KFC just over the road. Tube is only a few minutes away and there are regular bused into the city! We never used the restaurant at the hotel due to our having a busy weekend planned but it looked lovely, as did the food! Reception staff were always friendly and helpful. Nicest stay in London to date!

« Good value and close to the Underground »

We have family who live near the hotel, so staying here was very convenient. We spent 3 nights here in late September 2016 with the first night being in their "Annex" building next door (more on that later). The hotel is very clean, though it could use a little attention to small maintenance things like fractured caulking around the doors and windows. None of this was in any way a problem, just a tad unsightly for me, personally. Our first room was room #50 in the Annex building "around the corner" on the hotel's adjacent property. The room was ok, not great, and the reason we moved after one night was because I was kept awake by a low volume, low-frequency slowly oscillating noise that was worst right at the head of the bed. Imagine a twin-engine airplane with it's props out of sync. My wife could barely hear it, but I am unfortunately sensitive to low frequencies like that. I brought this to the attention of the front desk, and the gentleman I spoke with was extremely friendly, sympathetic and helpful offering to move us (and our luggage) to another room in the main building (room 110). His willingness to improve our stay made our day; that was customer service at its best. The new room faces the street, but with the windows closed, we slept fine. The bed was very comfortable, and the size of the room was just right for the two of us. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are visiting in Chiswick.

« Nice Hotel, Nice Price »

A nice hotel that does not look nice from the outside. My first impression was Oh No but once you entered the building it was a nice surprise and I will use again. If you are coming from South London and worried about missing a plane this hotel is worth the visit

    « Disappointing stay »

My husband and I arrived from Spain for our friends wedding and stayed for three nights. On arrival we arranged for a late checkout (1pm) due to our late ish flights back to Spain. Our room was small but I must say nice and clean, I think the bed was a 3/4 and not a double although I couldn't be 100% sure. I did ask reception but received a muddled response. The ensuite shower/bath is tiny, it is impossible to stand under the shower. I am pregnant and found it extremely difficult to manoeuvre, at a guess I would say anyone above the height of 4ft would be in the same position. On our last morning we received a call from the duty manager (11.20am) telling us we had to be out of our room at 12pm. I explained our prearranged late check out which fell on deaf ears and I must say im pretty shocked at the level of customer service we received. There was a night porter on duty on Thursday 21st Sept who was extremely polite and helpful. I suggest this gentleman carry out some customer service training for the duty manager.

« Good value for money in a beautiful area »

I spent a night here when I was attending a nearby conference. Quite possibly some of the friendliest reception desk staff I've ever met. The room was small but that is not a negative - it was perfect adequate for a night or two if staying alone. The bathroom was also snug, incredibly clean and pleasant. WiFi worked well. I didn't eat breakfast, I went to a rather nice American place just up the road. I'd definitely recommend this hotel, very good value for money.

Always a pleasure to stay at this hotel, convenient for west and central London (on the District Line), rooms clean and everything works, staff very friendly and helpful. Use this hotel a lot when in London.

    « Friendly and Convenient »

Stayed one night in single room. Very clean and tidy. Good location in Chiswick with friendly and efficient staff. Car parking is available but the entrance is extremely narrow and requires a bit of confidence to negotiate. Should be no problem as I managed to get my Honda CRV in and out. Would recommend if you need to stay in Chiswick area. My compliments to the staff.

    « Here for a Wedding »

Stayed here This Friday & Saturday night told we were being upgraded to the basement Wasn't very pleased about this after reading the review but was told to look at the room & if we wern't happy we could change we went down & found the room was actually a suite was lovely plenty of room had 2 Widows that opened up wide + air condition Travelled with our daughter & her family We had more room than my daughter had in her family room We found all staff were very friendly & polite the room was spotlessly clean

« Wembley stadium, Billy Joel concert. »

Chiswick palace hotel, one night stay reason for staying Billy Joel concert at Wembley Stadium, comfortable accommodation good size room and reasonably priced. Breakfast was reasonable, good selection both full English and continental style. Would recommend for visiting London , and various venues. Chiswick itself is an attractive suburb leafy roads also close to the Thames.

« Night away for the Proms »

I chose this hotel based on the balance of its ease of access by car from M4 and tube into the city. Certainly excellent for both. Chiswick itself is rather nice (for London) lots of places to eat and a generally pleasant ambiance. The hotel overall is tidy, freshly decorated and difficult to criticise at that price point. Our room was large and again pleasantly decorated. Bed was firm - but perfect for me. Not to much road noise. Only minor complaint is that the room was over warm but there were a couple fans available if needed. The breakfast was perfectly adequate. Nothing to write home about but certainly nothing to complain about. The sausages were tasty and apparently the ones the Queen has!!!! I Would recommend this hotel.

    2
    « Never again »

We chose this hotel because it was close to the Chiswick House and Gardens, and because Best Western has a good reputation. At reception we were delighted to hear that we had been upgraded. Our big smiles of delight and eager anticipation turned to puzzlement as we took the lift down to room which was below ground level. Our 'upgraded' room was dark, the only daylight coming from a narrow widow from which came the noise and fumes of street traffic. We declined the 'upgrade' and were then allocated the on

    3
    « Underground Sauna »

Perfect location for my business trip. Quite a small car park but carefully negotiated into a space. The hotel is spotless and shiny. I was directed to my room in the basement, as I entered my room the heat hit me. There was a window into a sunken courtyard and a window into a vent on the other side of the room. Both were open but it was still stifling. I promptly switched the air conditioning on and this cooled down the top of the wardrobe that it blows on to but it did little to reduce the temperature of the room. The fan in the room cooled it slightly but it was far too hot and this was on a cool September night I can't imagine what it would be like in July.

« What more could you need? »

Booked this hotel as we were attending FriendsFest in Chiswick house. The location was perfect, simple route off the motorway. The car park is small, we arrived at 2 getting one of the last spaces. Very tight alley to get into the car park, but we had a large car and managed it. The surrounding area was great, loads of small little restaurants. Close to a sainsburys local. We stayed in a triple room on the ground floor, perfect size of the amount of people. Bathroom good size and shower was great. Room was brilliant. Only issue aircon in our room wasn't great so the room was quite warm. Also a little nosey as on main road, which is to be expected! Still thought the hotel was brilliant. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Can't comment on breakfast as we went to one of the cute restaurants on the street, called Brew (which was lovely) but the breakfast at the hotel smelled great. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again if in London.

    « Terrible service »

Rooms were quite big/spacious, but I have to say that the service was absolutely unresponsive/unhelpful/unsympathetic. 1. Early on our first morning (5am), a service person knocked on our room door. Apparently there was an issue with the water in the room above, and the only way to address the issue was through entry into our room. The service person was friendly, but seemingly unapologetic about waking their guests up. 2. Before leaving my room one morning I laid out 3 clothes items on my bed to wear later that day. When I returned to the room in the afternoon the clothes were missing. I'm willing to believe the clothes were not stolen purposefully, but they did go missing (I'm guessing they were accidentally put in the laundry when the room was cleaned). The staff was completely unresponsive when notified, I followed up with them ever morning after (several days later, they said they checked the laundry, but seemingly made no further attempts at addressing my concerns). Rather than trying to solve the problem, or at least show some empathy for my situation, they seemed more intent on debating with me ("We didn't take it. YOU must have lost your clothes."). Emails to the hotel manager (Soren), are now not being responded. I had to buy additional clothes to wear for the trip. This was a family vacation trip, but I visit Chiswick often for business as my company has corporate offices located there. I will not be staying there again, and will recommend that my company stop using the hotel entirely.

    « Very Pleased »

We weren't sure about staying here, as it is a bit further out from the City Center than I would have liked. We were pleasantly surprised by the neighborhood. It is very cute and has a decent selection of restaurants and cafes. It is quite international. The hotel was great- spacious rooms for London (although the bathroom was a bit tight). My husband and I both run and the area was perfect and safe for that.

    « Good Value »

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Clean and tidy, next time, prefer not to have a basement room. Good value for money. Location good for us, so we could visit family. 5 mins from tube station, 30 mins to Leicester Square. Ate locally, pubs and restaurants (London prices). Staff at the hotel, friendly and chatty. All good.

    4
    « Small but pretty »

Nice hotel with small rooms and spaces but very clean and with great attention to details. Isn't too far from the Underground stop so You can easily move to go anywhere. There are also few good restaurants to try, right on the opposite side of the street.

    4
    « Nice hotel »

Nice hotel. We had a very big room, clean and quiet. They offer you a drink when you check in. The location is also good. In a quiet area but very close to the underground station. I would go back and I suggest this hotel especially for families with children as the family room is really spacious.

    5
« Quiet neighborhood, wonderful breakfasts »

Very clean and comfortable room in this small hotel in upscale neighborhood in London. 3 blocks to tube station. Rooms are very small by U.S. standards, but it worked for me traveling solo. Staff was very friendly.

    4
    « New visit »

Hotel was easy to find but the car park is small and you can't prebook, its first come first served. We had a family room which consists of a double bed and 2 singles which was in the basement. Lovely and clean just a bit stuffy. There was air in but this just made the air dry. Breakfast expensive, £10 each, so we gave this a miss. Easy access to where we were going and not far off the motorway.

    5
    « Surprisingly perfect »

Stayed one night and found staff very friendly and total hotel spotlessly clean. It's an excellent refurbishment. Breakfast was very reasonable at £10 with in a beautiful conservatory. Coffee from machine was very good and free all day. Parking behind hotel very useful. Would definitely recommend. Paid £79 on booking .com.

    4
« Nice, quiet location out of the city center »

Really enjoyed this hotel, which was located in a nice, residential-type area with lots of local coffee and food spots on the doorstep. Less touristy than near St. Paul's, where I had stayed prior. Enjoyed the bars, tasty pho, and artisan coffee shops all within walking distance. Casual and relaxed, and the room was pleasant (although a bit outdated--perhaps not quite as "modern" as in the photos). Staff were friendly. Overall, would recommend and would stay again.

« Duty Manager Mr S not prepared to listen »

The Duty manager was extra Rude Mr S , I have stayed in Best Western so unhelpful when i was trying to explain to him i had traveled on my own and he charged me for double breakfast !! He referred me to booking .com He promised to follow it through and send me an email back but never bothered.. still waiting

« Just what we required »

Very practical and decent hotel. Quiet at night, good size room with one double and two singles (family room). Nice selection of biscuits and really cool tray thing with kettle integrated. Beds are a bit hard and pillows pretty hard too. Good clean ensuite shower and a very decent breakfast buffet. Excellent location and has all the facilities you might need.

    4
    « Mid week break »

Coming from the west M4 I was looking for somewhere that would be easy to get to and also offered car parking..... As parking is limited I arrived early and found a space with no problem.... the staff on arrival were friendly and helpful and indeed remained that way throughout our three night stay. The room was spotlessly clean but we did find the bed a tad uncomfortable and the shower was tucked under a sloping ceiling. Nevertheless, with easy access to all forms of transport and the reasonable price charged we would not hesitate to recommend the hotel and will certainly use it again for future visits.

    « Chiswick Palace stay »

Very good hotel with very friendly staff, wanted to stay an extra night and this was no problem despite an emergency. Obtained taxis for us when requested, At £9.99 breakfast was very good value for money when compared to elsewhere. Ideally situated for visitors to London with bus stops and tube station nearby. Good value for money. On the downside couldn't connect my tablet to the Wi-Fi.

    5
    « Family vacation »

We really enjoyed staying at Chiswick Palace. The room was clean and the beds were really comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom, def on the small side! But I understand that is normal for British properties. There were several very good cafes and shops nearby, and the tube was only a few block walk.

    5
    « Well kept secret »

I don't want to say too much about this hotel, except it is superb. There I go, said it. Newly fitted out the hotel must be one of the best in the area. Staff very polite and helpful. Will definitely stay again. Only slight down side was the size of the room, but as it was only a base it didn't make much difference.

« Great location, clean, and good staff »

Our suite for a family of four was snug, but new, clean, and perfectly comfortable for a three-night stay in July. The location is great: close to Tube, Chiswick House and Gardens, and plenty dining and shopping options all along Chiswick High Road. Also an easy Tube ride to Heathrow Airport. Neighborhood felt very safe. The staff were friendly, helpful, and maid service was great. The room is snug for four people and luggage. The kitchenette was a nice feature, but was not entirely equipped with utensils, though certainly workable. In the lobby there were complimentary hot beverages offered all day. It was quite warm when we were there and the A/C work, but dripped a bit. While there was body wash, there was no shampoo or conditioner. Overall, a very good experience. I would recommend this to friends and family, especially if you would like one room for your family--not always easy to find in Europe/England.

« Great Hotel, Great Location »

Our 4 night stay could not have been better. The hotel is modern and clean, the service was outstanding, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel's location is outstanding, only a short tube ride into central London, with many restaurants, a market, drug store, and other shops on the same street in easy walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

« Great location. Clean and comfortable. »

We stayed here for one night as we had booked in for a tour of the Sipsmiths Distillery, which is just around the corner. The hotel is in a great location, on Chiswick High Road, within easy reach of the underground and on a bus route. There is parking behind the hotel which was a big plus. Check in was easy, the staff are friendly and helpful. We had a lovely comfortable room on the ground floor. This was at the front, which was a little noisy (our only niggle). Apart from that, spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Lovely comfortable bed and powerful shower. We were given the option of breakfast in the morning, which we declined (but it did smell good!). Chiswick is a lovely area, nice bars and eateries. We enjoyed our twenty-four hours here and we will definitely visit this hotel again.

    « Comfortable,clean and friendly. »

The Chiswick Palace is a very good hotel located in Chiswick on the High Road. It is relatively easy to get to with two underground stations within walking distance, Turnham Green and Stamford Brook. The reception staff was welcoming and informative. My room was on the ground floor and was larger than I expected it to be. The room was clean and the bedding was comfortable. There was free Wi-Fi in the room. The breakfast was adequate.

« Great hotel in Chiswick »

Always use this hotel, it's of a very good standard for what we need. The staff always go out of their way to help you and make sure you get what you need. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in the vicinity and its location is perfect for West and Central London. Shhhhhh... don't tell everyone about this or we won't be able to get back in !!

    4
    « Efficient staff »

We were very impressed with Miguel on reception who organised a very early check in so we could get ready to attend a wedding. He even offered us breakfast and found an unoccupied room on the ground floor for us. This was a king size room - spotlessly clean with a sparkling bathroom. Only downside was the room was very warm even with the window open. The air conditioning was preset and made the room very very cold so all a bit hit and miss. Be careful when accessing the car park as the narrow corridor you drive through is quite tricky. Breakfast buffet was extremely good - lots of choice and well cooked hot option.

« Great stay in Chiswick »

Very nice Hotel in nice area located not too far from London Underground Station with easy reach to the City center. Staff was helpful and the Hotel had a nice atmosphere. Truly recommendable for a stay in London. Also Airport Heathrow is in good Connection with Underground.

    « Good breakfast »

Room offered was in the basement with only a small skylight. We were offered another room " in the annex ,this was around the corner but at least the window opened, room was small and tired, toilet / shower was good

« Smallest and hottest hotel room ever! »

We have just spent our first night of 4 in this hotel... We left the room at 5 this morning after having had absolutely no sleep because we could no longer continue to stew in the hottest room in the world. The Windows barely open and the fan provided just blows around hot air. I'd love to say it's because of the beautiful sunshine outside but it's cold and wet. The hotel itself is beautiful and obviously a lot of work has gone in to updating and upgrading it. The one staff member we have met is very kind and welcoming but that's not enough when you're not able to sleep. The room (room 79 - I don't know if they differ depending on room number) is also tiny, one side of the double bed is against a wall so it's ninja style manoeuvring to get in and out and during the night you spend a great deal of time avoiding hitting your arms and legs off the wall that you're inevitably pressed up against. The area that the hotel is in is amazing with loads of lovely bars and restaurants lining the streets and I would definitely stay in Chiswick again but probably in a different hotel.

    5
    « Refurbished with style »

We have visited this hotel many times over the last 20 + years and watched with great interest each stage of its refurbishment. We are delighted to be here in 2016 and enjoy the changes. Its location in Chiswick is excellent as always and it has retained its friendly welcome to all its guests.

    4
    « Good Value »

Upon arrival the reception area is very lavish giving us high expectations, until we were told we were staying on the basement floor. The room was a really good size, beds were comfy and plenty of towels. Down size there was a tiny box window that you couldnt even reach and had very minimal light coming in, it was a humid night and got extremely stuffy so we had the fan on all night. I would specifically request not to be in the basement if I was to stay again. The bathroom was lovely and clean although incredibly small. For the price we paid to be in West London we were quite happy with our stay. It's 10min walk from the tube line, 20mins outside Victoria.

    5
    « Absolutely stunning hotel »

This hotel is absolutely fantastic Everything was just perfect. We had a late check in, there was no issue there. Was a bit worried when we ( family of 4) were told our room was in the basement. But there was no cause for concern. Free 4GB of wifi per device (over a 24hr period). The decor. The staff. The breakfast. Amenities. Car park. Beautiful rooms

    2
    « Poor »

For the price this hotel is not worth it. I would recommend if you need this area that you stay in Chiswick rooms instead as its a much better alternative plus its closer to the station. The staff are not very friendly.

« Thoroughly enjoyed my return visit! »

First stayed at the Chiswick Palace & Suites in summer of 2011, which was pleasant.. Having seen that the hotel had been refurbished, and having various functions in London, I decided to book it again, for June and October.. For my latest stay, in June I booked a Single room, and was located on the lower ground floor. Although there was just one very small window, the room didn't feel boxey at all, and was new, clean, comfortable, with a lovely bathroom, tea & coffee facilities. I enjoyed a very comfortable night's rest! Breakfast the following morning was a vast improvement on my last stay, as they now cater with a full English breakfast, as well as cold meat's, cereals, and pastries.. The staff were very pleasant, and I am looking forward to my future stay in October!

    3
« Too HOOT AND TOO EXPENSIVE »

If you don't mind a hot room in the summer a lumpy bed and very slow internet this is the place to stay. The amount of money we spent you would think we would have a cool room to sleep in , a soft bed, and a nice hot free breakfast .

    4
    « Great Location »

We stayed here for one night for a stop over stay in London. Chiswick is a very nice area with lots of restaurants and shops which the hotel is all within walkable distance of. There is a couple of options of tube stations which are not to far away if you want to go into central London. We checking in and went back into London that afternoon. The room was quite small but was very clean and comfortable and have to say the shower in the room was brilliant. We book breakfast so cannot comment. For an overnight stay I highly recommend and was very reasonable in price. Would stay again.

    4
« Great location, small room »

Great location for BSi. Nice accommodation, rooms clean and neat but on the small side, but OK for short term visit. Pity there isn't a bar on site, however there are a number of bars on Chiswick high street. Didn't book breakfast as this was £15+ and therefore can't comment on the food

« Excellent hotel, location and staff! »

We stayed here for one night while attending a concert in London and are so impressed that we are going back again soon for the same reason! The hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a room at the back and couldn't believe how quiet it was, which made for a great nights sleep. We also needed parking and there were no issues with this request. The location is perfect for enjoying the vast array of eateries nearby, and the tube stop is a 5 minute walk. We didn't have time for breakfast so I can't comment on the food but we look forward to trying it out next time. Wont hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel experience to family and friends.

    3
    « Avoid room 17! »

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting relatives. Our room, 17, was very small , but spotlessly clean, as was the en suite. The towels were lovely and big, which is something I always look for. The problem became apparent during the night, despite the noise of the air conditioning, which we kept on all night because of the stuffiness of the room, we could hear gurgling and water running on and off all night. There was a boxed in pipe running from one side of the room to the other that was making the noises, don't know whether it was a water pipe or sewage pipe, but whatever it was, it certainly disturbed our sleep. Can't say anything about the breakfast because we didn't have it, it looked all right- a buffet breakfast. Would I go back? Yes, it's convenient for the area, there is parking, but don't attempt to get in the car park if you have a big vehicle, our 4x4 went through with a fag paper to spare either side, you have to go through a covered area in order to reach the car park, there is a small amount of parking space at the front. Yes I would go back, but I would make sure that I didn't stay in 17 again.

« A little outside of London but in a great neighborhood »

This hotel is not in the main part of London (Zone 2 on the tube) but is located in a nice residential neighborhood with shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. It is about a ten minutes walk from the Turnham Green tube exit. The hotel has recently been remodeled. There is staff at the front desk 24 hours and you have the option of purchasing breakfast in the morning for 10 GBP per person. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel because there are several cafes nearby where you can get a nice breakfast with fresh muffins and coffee. There is a cafe right next to the tube stop where you can get a full English breakfast for 5.99. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable and they provided lots of clean towels. The bed was comfortable with 4 large pillows. The bathroom was recently renovated and very clean. I would recommend putting the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door if you do not wake up before 9am because they will knock to come clean the room around that time. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting London but wants to experience a nice neighborhood outside the chaos of the larger tourist parts of Central London.

    « Surprise find »

I stayed for two nights whilst exhibiting at Olympia. The hotel has not long been renovated, it is modern, clean and tidy. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly. My room was at the fornt of the hotel and I was worried about traffic noise - I should not have been I didn't hear a thing! I had a king bed, wardrobe, desk, it was a reasonable size room. The bathroom was a good size with a big shower however the shower door open right beside the toilet! I had the breakfast buffet which is served in reception, it was of a good quality and kept refreshed frequently. There is a coffee / tea machine which you can help yourself to at anytime. There is parking at the hotel which I believe is free. I would recommend this hotel.

    4
« Great location, facilities for the price »

The best thing about this hotel is its location and price - you wouldn't get any other room in Chiswick for at least twice the rate. The bus stop is right outside the hotel and Turnham Green tube station is a 7-8 minute walk. All the restaurants, pubs of Chiswick are a short walk - between 2 & 10 minutes - so you can't ask for more We had a family room - with 2 adults and 2 grown-up kids - and the room at times did feel cramped but the staff was friendly, accomadating and that more than made up for the room size

    4
    « Work stay »

I had to travel from Wrexham (3.5 hours away) for a 3 day work course and arriving at the hotel I was amazed. Gorgeously clean and tidy, helpful staff and room was lovely and clean. The only downside was it was a bit hot in the room and I was having to leave the fan on all night just to be able to sleep. Breakfast was beautiful and plenty of choice!

    3
« Very small and very hot »

Apart from ludicrously small room (couldn't walk round bed, no space for suitcase etc) and sweatingly high heat level from unadjustable air con and heated towel rail, this hotel offers reasonable value.given the location. Be aware of aircraft noise from about 5 am in rear rooms if window left ajar to counter heat. Some rooms looked somewhat larger....suggest clarification with hotel prior to booking as the hotel generally seems too busy to change rooms on arrival

    5
« Great Hotel in a Great Neighborhood »

If you are looking to spend some time in London but not in the city center, then Chiswick may be for you. We spotted this place on a 2014 trip to London and rushed to stay here when we traveled last month (May 2016). Chiswick is a neighborhood to the west of London's city center with a ton of nightlife and restaurants. It's mostly local (as much as we could tell) and provides a different view of a London neighborhood than you might usually get. The hotel has small rooms but compared to London hotels it's relatively affordable and close to public transportation. We loved it here. If we come back to London again, we are definitely staying here.

    4
« Great neighborhood, way too small rooms, comfy bed and great bathrrom »

I had a big suitcase and also did my boyfriend and we had no space to walk in the room!! If we were not on the bed or in the barroom there was no space for us to stand. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very modern, clean and was big enough. Way better than the room itself. The neighborhood is great! Very lovely and lots of cool and nice restaurants around. We loved the location! Breakfast is expensive so we didn't buy it! The cookies and tea are very good! The only friendly people were the cleaning ladies and one man at the reception desk. The man and the woman at the reception desk that speak Portuguese are not friendly at all and are zero attentive From 1 to 10 I would give it a 7

« Well located hotel for West London »

Having stayed at the Chiswick Palace Hotel every year for the last five it just gets better and better. The major refurbishment has transformed it into a very comfortable experience. Plenty of fantastic restaurants close-by. Typical hotel buffet style breakfast not to everyone's taste. Staff really friendly, helpful never had a poor experience. Free parking and easy transport connections make this a real gem.

    « Great hotel - great location »

This hotel was a nice surprise, being on the cheaper end of room costs for the area. It has a few quirks, but not bad enough to complain about. The location is excellent for Chiswick High Road, The Thames and Tube (District Line). The only mild issue we had was with our room facing the main road so got woken up a few times. Breakfast was not suitable for vegetarians so we ate elsewhere. Staff were all really helpful. Would definitely stay again.

    4
« Small room but a great price and location! »

I didn't expect a very large room -- but it was definitely small for 4 people. However, the hotel is modern and clean and sleek. Chiswick, the town, is adorable and full of local shops and food. A MUST TRY! The price was amazing and it was a short walk from the Underground, which made getting around London a breeze. The staff was super accommodating and always had our room spotless :) The wifi worked great. we never tried the breakfast, but it looked delicious. Don't expect anything large!

    3
    « Great start »

After booking rang the hotel regarding parking, being disabled we requested a parking space, in order to reserve a space it cost £10, having arrived and checked in by the most ignorant, dismissive man I have ever come across behind a reception desk we moved our car to the allocated parking. We were checked in to a small but freshly refurbished room, although small adequate, limited tea and coffee so couldn't wait for breakfast. Breakfast served in the reception area ! Limited space with people checking in and out but doable, first disappointment was cold plates, what looked delicious and appetising soon became a bigger disappointment, breakfast was self service and mostly cold at £10 ahead I would of expected better. At £100 a night the beds are comfortable and although small and very warm air con is provided. Chiswick a great location, a walk to the tubes but accessible.

    3
« Great hotel, shame about the reception staff nember »

We stopped here for an overnight as we had a dental and a hospital appointment early in the morning. As we were arriving in the evening, I called to ask if I could reserve a parking space as one of the guests is a blue badge holder and although the hotel provides free parking, I was informed there would be a £10 charge to reserve a space! Outrageous! The hotel is lovely inside. Our room looked like it was freshly decorated and the toilet/shower room was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable, but I found the pillows not quite so, I did wake with an ache in my neck. On check in we were greeted by a gentleman, his attitude changed from pleasant to abrupt when he realised it was 2 males sharing a double room. I thought that diversity and equality were paramount in this day, This is after all, 2016 and we are legally married, this uncomfortableness needs serious addressing. The breakfast in the morning was very tasty, but what a massive let down as it was served on cold plates, it did not stay warm for long. Would I stay again? Yes, if the eastern gentleman was not on reception.

    4
    « A nice hotel »

The hotel is located near Turnham Green station! Clean, nice rooms, although ours was very small! It is located on the central road which, is a bit busy, but our room was located at the second building and it was rather quiet! Staff was very nice and helpfull!

    5
« Best Western in Chiswick was a good home away from home. »

This hotel, while outside the center of London, had great tube access to wherever you wished to venture to. The rooms were great and breakfast filling! We were put on the bottom floor but that was fine as we are really on in the room to sleep, kept the noise from the street out. Staff were friendly and helpful. No complaints at all. I would stay here again if I was to go back to London.

    4
« Good base between London and Heathrow »

We chose to stay at Best Western Chiswick due to its location near enough to London for quick access by tube, its closeness to Heathrow, and its car park. We were pleasantly surprised by the newly renovated interior and were more than satisfied by the accomodations and amenities. Staff was pleasant and helpful, breakfasts were good, and we slept well while we were there. A bonus was all of the excellent restaurants just a few blocks away.

    5
    « Smart choice »

Clean and comfortable boutique hotel in downtown Chiswick. Ideal for proximity to local pubs and eating places. There is limited car parking but a space can be reserved in advance. The hotel has been totally refurbished and is ideal for a short stay in west London.

    3
« Nice and quiet room »

An OK room in a separate terrace house with its own entry. The only disappointing things were the breakfast which was very limited and the available TV channels. I thing the 4GB internet connection limit will not be a problem for most of the visitors but for me uploading videos about my trip it was way too little.

    5
« Ideal place to stay in west London »

Nice hotel in good location. Car parking available , which is always a bonus in London. Had a lovely room after being upgraded because it was my 50th birthday weekend. (A little comment when booking worked!). Close to the river and a nice walk along to Hammersmith. Tube station a few minutes away for those with less energy.

« Smart and convenient location - Chiswick »

Staff are polite and friendly. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to Turnam Green tube which is 5 mins down the road. there is parking at the front and around the back but access is tight to the rear carpark - a Kuga goes through but you find yourself breathing in ha ha. The carpark is secure and if you're happy to park up and leave for your stay. In 20 mins you can be in centre London and we use it for this very reason when we stay in London. Bars and restaurant have a lovely atmosphere for a chill out at the end of the day on the Chiswick high street with a café culture atmosphere. Also you're not far from Kew Gardens in this location a 15-20 minute walk or a 5 min bus ride will get you to Kew Bridge. There is no restaurant here only a buffet breakfast area but to be honest with so many places to eat in the evening around the area you don't really need it. My husband discovered the hotel due to business stays and we now use it for our weekend breaks when ever visiting London.

    2
    « No Sleep »

Was quite expensive or maube thats just London for you. The first room was located directly underneath the foyer entrance, and smelt like wet dog, and the bed was tiny. I asked them to move me abd they did much to my delight - but the second room was only a little bit better. The bed was good, but this time it was located directly under a noisy pump, and the fire alarm led was so bright I could see objects clearly in the room - it kept me awake. 3 night stay, not much sleep

    5
« Full marks for this little gem! »

A business meeting took us to Chiswick and an early start demanded a hotel in the centre of the town, hence choosing the Chiswick Palace. Great location just off the motorway, easy to find, easy access with small but available car park behind which was a real surprise. We were greeted by a friendly and welcoming reception team. 10/10 for the staff of this little gem! Our room was great (503) and more than adequate for our needs. Very spacious, clean and well equipped. Power sockets for laptops in the right position a nice little desk space too. Only two very small criticisms - our room was in the basement which on it's own wasn't a problem but it was below reception which meant an impromptu wake-up call at 6.45am as the breakfast tables were organised...and secondly the size of the TV on the wall of the generous room was absolutely tiny and a struggle to watch - minor points in the grand scheme of so much that was just spot on. Locally, it's a great location - with over 70 restaurants and bars within 1/4 mile walk and very close to the main underground station into Knightsbridge and the wider delights of London. Great stay, keep up the great work team! So, we'd certainly be

    3
    « Three night stay. »

We stayed for three nights while on a trip to explore a bit more of London. Very clean and well decorated hotel, the service was good on check in but we were put on the top floor of another building that was not connected to the main hotel. We had a very uncomfortable bed that was pushed up against the wall as the room was very small. Good bathroom but also very small. The shower worked really well and the room was serviced daily to a high standard. We just felt forgotten about away from the main hotel.

    4
    « Nice hotel, great location !! »

Very nice price/quality relation, in a great location. In the middle of Chiswick High Road, close to a supermarket and a no recommended 24/7 shop, plenty of nice restaurants and shops in a comfortable walking distance. We'll be back.

    5
« Lovely hotel, excellent location »

We stay at this hotel regularly as our daughter lives close by, however, even if she didn't this would be our first choice of hotel when staying in London. Good location, close to tube station and the excellent pubs and restaurants in Chiswick High Street. Never take the breakfast option as there are so many lovely little cafes close by, however, it always looks nice and with a delightful sunny conservatory in which to eat. Rooms clean and comfortable and parking being a definite bonus for London.

    3
« Clean but rather basic »

There was a lot more Travelodge than Best Western to this hotel with a lack of things you would expect from the brand. The parking though free is limited and in varying locations and as some of the staff's grasp of English is not perfect things can get confused. They are friendly though.

    4
    « Quality Hotel »

Everything was great on my stay, no problems, clean room, efficient staff good sleep...all good! Parking was included and no suurprise extra payments needed all round great hotel and value for money I paid.

    5
« Great location, free onsite parking »

This is a great hotel to stay at if you have a car and need to park it, they have free onsite parking and we were able to get a spot. We were then able to get into London to visit all the sites via the Stamford Brook tube station, which was only a 10 minute walk away. Also plenty of restaurants to choose from right near the hotel.

    3
    « Good location »

Stayed for 4 nights. Clean room, comfy bed but room was so hot even with the heating off and bizarely opening the window didnt help! Plenty of places to eat nearby. Breakfast was very disappointing - badly cooked and lukewarm - I would go to a cafe nearby instead. Turnham Green Station bus stop has 2 buses which will take you to Westfield and also to Picadilly Circus/ Oxford Circus so great for shopping and sghtseeing. Walk down Chiswick Lane to the Thames path. Annpurna is good for dinner and the cafe next to Sainsburys local is wonderful.

    « Value for money »

The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Very friendly and extremely helpful. Not an ideal location if wanting to spend most of your time in central London. But, the neighborhood itself is lovely full of shops, restaurants and pubs. The rooms are interesting probably because the hotel is many renovated row houses. We had 2 rooms directly next to one another. One room was big with large windows and the 2nd was small and dark, but had a kitchen, which was fairly handy. Since we could use both rooms, we weren't disappointed, but would have been if we had just the small, dark room. The rooms were clean and beds were surprisingly comfy.

    5
    « Inexpensive and Comfortable »

I stayed here for one night and was very impressed. The hotel is easily accessed from both Turnham Green and Stamford Brook stations. The hotel is recently renovated, very clean and comfortable. It also has a lift, which is by no means a given in London hotels. The bed was very comfortable, the shower had excellent water pressure, and there was plenty of space in the single room I booked. The free wifi was fast and did not drop out. The hotel is right on Chiswick High Road, where there are plenty of restaurants, pubs and shops. The price is just right. I paid £54 for my single room, which is a bargain in London. Chiswick is by no means central London, but given that the Tube is so close, it is a very reasonable place to stay even if you are planning to spend your days in the centre.

    4
    « Nice hotel »

Nice hotel with great staff! We were three couples traveling here and two of the rooms were quite small while our room was big and nice. It was not far from the tube station Turnham Green. Many nice restaurants nearby! If you stay here, make sure to visit High Road Brasserie! The hotel was all in all nice and the wifi was free and very fast!

    4
« A handy retreat in a lively part of London »

Excellent value hotel, with good, comfortable facilities and a great breakfast. It is very convenient for a range of bars, brasseries andrestaurants etc. in Chiswick, a pleasant and lively district to stay in. I use it several times a year.

« A very nice stay at the Chiswick Best Western Hotel ... »

Our recent stay there was very nice. The hotel renovation has been remarkably well carried out and the end product is excellent . The stay would have been absolutely perfect should we had felt a little bit more "warmth" , enthusiasm and "smiling faces" from the hotel staff ...

    4
« Convenient location in London »

Clean & comfortable hotel in a good location. Close to London underground tube stations. Lots of restaurants close by. Westfield Shopping Centre very close. Free parking at the hotel. Newly furbished bathroom. Modern décor in room.

« Nothing short of perfect »

We stayed here twice when we came to London and we all really enjoyed our stay! It's in a lovely neighborhood located in an area with lots of shops and cafes and restaurants, and it is also a 5 min. walk from the nearest tube station. The hotel itself is clean and the staff are friendly. The rooms are spotless and the beds are wonderfully comfy! The hotel also offers complimentary drinks in the lobby, which we certainly took advantage of. Would definitely come back here :)

    « best western chiswick »

great hotel, spotless clean and helpful knowledgable staff, nothing too much trouble, great location and very nice area, easy to get to central london via Tube /bus AND free carparking at the hotel (but spaces are limited) It would be wrong to name helpful individuals as they are all so friendly and helpful at the hotel generally, specifically the reception area

« Pleasant stay in Chiswick »

We stayed here in a king size room for 1 night in order to go to Twickenham. Our room was fairly spacious and the bed very comfortable. It was more than adequate for our requirements and would book again.

    « An adjustment »

Our 50th stop on our trip around the world was in London at the Best Western in Chiswick. Chiswick is a really nice neighborhood and the building where the hotel is located is really nice. So far so good. The front desk people are nice for big city people. Although there is free wifi, it is really only available in the reception area. Our room (for four) was in the basement area. As such we had only one small window and basically no view. Free coffee and tea at the reception area is a plus and the dining area can be used to eat your take away food. Free parking is available on site. Coming from the US and prior to that Asia and Africa, the hotel room, including space, shower and condition of the room in general, was great adjustment.

    « Dreadful »

First impressions of this hotel are lovely, nice building, lovely spacious room. Then it all went wrong, dreadful mattress that probably should have been thrown away some years ago, I had a dreadful nights sleep on the most uncomfortable bed I have ever laid on, a bathroom with a great shower but with cracked tiles ( wall and floor ) and mildew, and an extractor fan that did not work. Breakfast, most of it was was ok, but the bacon and the scrambled egg were cold. Don't be deceived by its appearance.

« Birthday Trip to London »

Have just returned from Chiswick this evening after staying in this hotel for the weekend. Our requirements were for a double room and a family room which I booked online with very little trouble. The hotel decoration in the reception and eating area was very modern, shiny, grey walls, tile floors and large mirrors giving overall quite a glamorous look. Breakfast was served as a buffet and the number of choices couldn't be faulted. From fruit, yoghurt, cereals and juices on to bacon, eggs, beans and sausages followed by toast or bagels with varieties of teas and coffee. At £9.99 for as much as you could eat it was very good value. The reception staff (Polish ? I think) were both charming and helpful. The family room was a great success, a large room with good size beds, one large double and two good size singles plus bathroom. It's a shame that I now have to say that our double, which was of the same high standard, was so small it could have been uncomfortable for a longer stay. In particular the bathroom was very small and I needed to come out to be able to dry off after a shower and I am only 5' 3". My unlucky partner is 6' so found it extremely cramped. Tea and coffee making available in the rooms and to.The last point I would mention is good/bad depending how you feel about a warm (very) room. We had to turn off the radiator and have the window open to be able to sleep comfortably. To sum up, an ideal short stay hotel near the centre of London, easy access to tubes and buses but little to no parking on site. Just remember try to avoid room 207.. !!

    « An OK stay »

Great location with some lovely cafes and bars near by. Stayed in the attic suite which was ideal for a family visit too. Great size with a little kitchen in the room too. Would definitely stay here again if required.

    « Perfect overnight stay »

My daughter and I stayed overnight as we had an early appointment the next morning close by and didn't want to chance being late. What a pleasant hotel this is. Spotlessly clean and very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were well decorated and comfortable and we got a free upgrade. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

    « London Break »

This is an ideal place to stay when visiting London. Just 5 minute walk from the tube on the District Line and maximum 30 minutes into Central London? Plenty of places to eat and drink near the hotel with prices cheaper than city centre. Hotel is very clean and modern room on the small side but newly refurbished.

« Stayed for a day and night with wife and daughter in a family triple room- first class! »

Well presented exceptionally clean decent quality accommodation that's also great value. Great location on Chiswick high road close to all shops restaurants etc as well as Artsed theatre school and Turnham Green tube station (ca. 10 - 15 mins walk away). Very friendly polite and helpful front of house ( thanks Soren!). In short a great place to stay for a few nights - modern clean with modern fresh decor all at an excellent price.

    « Staying for business? »

I would suggest to anyone staying that the arrive early if you are in anything bigger than a saloon car as parking is very restricted, though the porter is very helpful you may encounter a receptionist that has a curt manner and accuses you of telling lies if you request a disabled space and do not walk into the reception area with your badge

    « Best Best Western »

Can only reiterate what many others have said!! Superb position, superb rooms, superb staff, best room service menu that I have seen in some of the best hotels in the world!! Parking is limited but if you get there early it is available and once there the tube is minutes away! Pubs, shops, beauty salons and restaurants surround you! At the incredible price that we were charged I trust that they are making a profit because this is a hidden gem and deserves to survive!! Thanks for letting us stay and giving us some memorable moments!!

Excellent service minded staff and super hotel! Great location near shopping and restaurants and the Tube station. The hotel let me extend an extra hour prior to my 15 hour flight to let me rest up with complimentary tea and coffee! No regrets staying here and look forward to my return!

    « Lovely small Hotel »

I was a little worried en-route to hotel because 'Booking.com' had listed the hotel as having no parking but when I arrived I found there was free parking for up to 20+ cars. The hotel is beautifully decorated and although our room was quite small and the en-suite bathroom was tiny it didn't spoil the experience. The hotel is located on a busy main road ( Chiswick High Road ) but we were never aware of any traffic noise. there is a bus stop just across the road for buses to Shepperds Bush/Hammersmith for central London which takes around an hour. If you prefer the tube the nearest station is only a ten minute walk and I believe its only 20 minutes into central London. Breakfast is taken in a very pleasant conservatory and although quite basic has more than enough hot and cold options to satisfy most appetites. Hotel staff are very pleasant and always willing to help make your stay enjoyable. The cost of our stay was very reasonable and represented excellent value for money. I will certainly stay here next time in London.

    « Wonderful! »

Booked a single room. Got a double bed, en suite and kitchen! Think breakfast is overpriced and squeaky floors meant I was awoken by the room above at 4am!!! However, I would definitely choose this hotel if I were to visit nearby again. Great value. Lovely room.

    « lovely staff »

This hotel is located in a very posh neighborhood, quite near to the subway station (walking distance). I got there very late in the evening, got mistaken with the entrance and ended-up on the staff entrance, just inside the reception. I was very well received by the staff and really felt at home, i have to say. The gentlemen helped me with the very heavy luggage into the bedroom, and that was really nice as the amount of stairs to my room, made me feel a bit desperate after some hours travelling. My room was at the main building and i was unfortunate to stay near a corridor where there was some maintenance going on at the time. I was awaken at 7 a.m. by the noise of the constructors. Apart from this detail, the room was small but comfortable. There was coffee and tea available and some cinamon biscuits too. The breakfast was also good and the balcony to the garden was definetelly a nice place to enjoy the first meal of the

« Modern Interiors, Good Service, Lovely Stay! »

We booked a one night getaway as we live locally but wanted to go somewhere cheap and cheerful. We paid £60 for the night, no brekkie. The communal areas are really smart! Very impressed when we walked in, and with the free room upgrade, as well as the free hot drinks 24hrs, we were very happy. Our room was small, and not as nicely decorated as the communal areas, but absolutely fine for a Best Western. It was completely clean, no mould/dust/breakages at all. Towels provided, as well as tea and biscuits. We were very satisfied with the hotel, the room itself and the service was excellent. As a side note, I left some clothing there by accident, and called them 2 hours after we checked out, they popped it in the post the next morning and I received it today! £5 charge to do so, but I could have easily gone and collected it for free, but don't have the time. Their service and standards were great, no qualms at all! Recommended for a nice cheap getaway. Go to Kalamari Greek Restaurant (come out and turn right) if you fancy some delicious greek food!

    « A quiet, clean shelter! »

We arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night and the stuff was very kind and helpful! The room was in the basement, however it was very clean, and brand new. Great, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and a mirrored window to bring natural light. Free coffee, biscuits and tea every day, good Wi-Fi. It is located in a perfect, quiet neighborhood with local shops and cafes.

We booked this hotel to stay in when we went to see my daughter in a show at Arts Ed in chiswick. We wanted somewhere comfortable and not too expensive. I was delighted with this find. About 10-15 minutes walk from Turnham Green station. Friendly staff. Spotlessly clean and superb breakfast. We had one twin and two single rooms. We had actually booked 2 twins but they offered my son and I singles instead for the same price which were small but perfect for one. Lovely hot strong showers. I have just booked another break there at the end of January for the same reason. 2 singles and 2 twins this time. Looking forward to it.

« Comfortable stay at the convenient location »

It was the second stay at this hotel. It locates not so far from the London city centre, short walking distance from the underground station. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff at the check-in counter are always friendly, helpful and professional. I had an early flight to fly back and it was perfect since the hotel is a few minutes walk from the bus stop (N9) that goes straight to Heathrow.

Stayed one night. Ticked all the boxes. Good value for money on an advance prepaid booking. Would definitely stay again. Nothing too much trouble for reception staff. Room not huge (double bed for single use) but well thought out layout in terms on plugs/mirrors/tea point etc. Good shower with plenty hot water.

    « Pleasant stay »

Excellent hotel. Clean, polished and new. Room was decent and new decor. Bathroom was splendid except for incredibly high soap dispenser by sink which meant water dropped everywhere when applying to wet hands. Amazingly had A/C in room which is a plus for a hotel in London. Really easy getting there from the Shires, just off A4M. Oddly, was quoted £60 but charged £70 when arrived with no explanation! Decent hotel for budget and within walking distance of Chiswick.

Will be staying at the hotel often and have already recommended to friend who have stayed and had the same good experience. After thorough search on various sites we decided for this hotel to stay 4 nights. 5-8 minutes walk from Metro, (direct line to Downtown), fairly good access from airport(s) via Waterloo station. Nice part of London, with some old charm, 40-45 minutes to the major sites by METRO. We got a nice double room, the staffs were helpful and friendly.

« Avoid the basement floor! »

I stayed there in one of my travels to our company HQ at Chiswick Park; other options were full or too expensive as it was a very short notice visit so I thought this would be the time to try this hotel. Very clean; fully refurbished; close to the tube station; right on the Chiswick High Road with plenty of buses passing by, also fine for an evening stroll; a lot of restaurants, cafe's around; relatively cheap; staff was ok; breakfast was just enough -nothing special. But on the other hand, the room was very very small, more like a cabinet. And the room I stayed at was at the basement; literally right below the enterance of the hotel. There was a window; at first I thought it was a proper one but later I realised that it has a mirror system reflecting the light; no option to get some air. The room was terribly hot although it was 12 degrees outside and when I switched on the conditioner it got cold too quickly and the thermostat did not work properly. Also very early in the morning I started to hear people leaving the hotel carrying their luggages right above my head. Not a good experience for me. To be honest this can only be an alternative for a short stay if you have things to do around Chiswick but avoid the basement floor for sure. If you are claustrophobic, run away :)

    3
    « No restaurant »

The room was great, but I should have checked that the hotel had a restaurant because when I'm on business I prefer to come down from the room and eat in the hotel rather than roam the streets trying to find some where I like the look of.

« Good stay in nice area »

We were shown to a basement room but it turned out to be cozy and quiet. The hotel and staff were great, hotel modern and clean. This is the area to be in if you are tired of central London - very laid back and British. Restaurants and pubs galore, jog along the Thames, shop in Hammersmith or ruminate in the antique shops. Its proximity to Heathrow is super as well. Everyone has a kind word and don't looked stressed out. We followed the advice of some reviewers and ate breakfast out which we regretted because the hotel had a great buffe and the price was no different as the smaller cafes.

This is a great place to stay on a budget in West London. It's a short walk to Turnham Green station and there's a great selection of restaurants and cafes nearby on Chiswick High Road. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, the staff are friendly, and they have a wide selection of free teas and coffee by the reception, which is a nice touch. I would stay again!

« Weekend with my whife without kids »

I found the Hotel on the internet and it looked OK and on the London map it look OK sites from London center. Sorry but it do not. It takes min 30 min. in the tube and walk from the station to the Hotel. When we arrived at the Hotel we was given a cellar room with at tiny window, but It was changed the same night that my wife suffers from claustrophobia. The new room was sites on second floor and was very small but we decided that we would be in London all day and only had to sleep there we could live with it. The breakfast - well not very much to tell, no service, small buffet, coffee from a machine so we had to stand in line several time to get a cup. Over all experience - I dont think we will come back.

    « Very acceptable »

There is very little choice of hotels in the area of W London and this a good value with adequate free parking and buffet breakfast. Near Tube station and all shops and restaurants Rooms are modern and position perfect on ChiswicK high road I fully recommend the place if you need to stay in this area .

« Too hot to sleep »

The hotel was not far from the tube, lots of shops close by & convenient for access into the city. Our room (510) in the basement was spacious & well decorated with a lot of nice touches. The downside was that it was just too hot to stay in there, this was in November and the heat was unbearable. There were no windows and the room was oppressively hot. The air conditioner unit although operational was totally useless. Stay here by all means but ask for a room with a window and DO NOT book room 510 until the heating is fixed.

    « IDEAL BASE CLOSE TO M4 »

This is an ideal base for those visiting Olympia or London, being very close to the Hogarth Roundabout at the end of the M4, as well as the Underground We had a suite consisting of a double bed and a single. Both were full size in a room easily able to accept the furniture. We did not need to use the fair sized separate kitchen, but it looked clean and functional. The room was quiet and we were able to relax. Didn't need to eat but there seems to be a large breakfast area.

« Close to tube station, pubs and cafes »

Rooms in London will be small, king size bed was really a queen. Updated bathroom very nice. Overall enjoyed. The staff on the morning shift were courteous, however we felt like we were bothering them when asking a question. The afternoon shift were much more pleasant. Did not try breakfast as it was not included in room charge (which I will need to check website again as I did not see any mention of additional charge there) Good pubs and cafes in the area. Also nice shops. Very convenient to catch the tube (underground train)

« Reasonable rates in a lovely neighborhood. »

I would rate the service excellent, save the one condescending brunette female at the desk who was more interested in blaming us for the climate issue with our room than fixing the problem; a problem of which the hotel was clearly aware, as there was a large portable AC unit in the middle of our room...in the autumn. I believe that this problem stems from the way the towel warmers were installed, just a theory but you can feel the heat radiating through the bathroom floor. We arrived very late and the gentleman who showed us to our room was very helpful and kind; however, we could feel the heat rising as we climbed the stairs and my husband mentioned it as we entered. It was probably 80s, although it was supposed to be 40s (F) that night and the window was open...so this wasn't us being picky tourists. The attendant was apologetic and informed us that the hotel was at capacity, but we could change rooms the next day if the heat was a problem. The room was adequate otherwise, and we slept until very late the next day, due to the time change, jet lag and a lack of sleep. The AC unit provided worked well, but the condensation made the carpet around it quite damp and I put towels down in an effort to minimize the damage. However, I didn't discover this until after we had risen that afternoon. When we approached the woman at the desk with the problem, she shifted blame to us for not reporting the problem sooner (although we had reported the problem upon our arrival and I explained that we hadn't been up long) and then chided me for using the AC unit provided, as I explained it was leaking. Translation-the hotel was still full and no one knew what to do about the problem. She agreed to send maintenance around-who agreed that it was hot and turned the AC unit back on-and we were moved the next day. The rest of the staff were great, the second room was still warm but we had a thermostat, so wasn't a problem and the breakfast was great. Unfortunately, my treatment by the one rude employee-who should have apologized for the issue rather than treating customers like naughty children-totally soured my opinion of our stay there.

    « Good experience »

The hotel and rooms are situated in several buildings next to each other. We had reserved a double room, but on arrival I asked if it was a quiet room on the back. We were upgraded to a studio room in a side building. It was a triple room with kitchen as well as a shower room. The kitchen was quite large, with sink, hob, fridge, toaster and microwave, but there was no equipment. No pans for the hob, no cooking utensils, only three plates, bowls, knives, forks and spoons. We were delighted to have the fridge and wine glasses, but anyone paying for the kitchen facilities might want more than this very basic provision. The room was clean and comfortable, generous supply of towels and hot water etc. We had reserved parking and were able to leave the car there for our two day stay. The hotel is very well located, being close to bars, cafes, restaurants, convenience food stores and a wide range of interesting shops. It is a few minutes walk to Turnham Green station, very quick into central London.or east to Kew Gardens. We clearly got a good deal, but I think I would have been happy with our original booking. It is a middle range hotel, value for money and we would stay here again.

    « Great Location »

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. The Hotel is in a great location in cheswick. Just on the high road, close to shops, bars and cafes. The hotel and rooms are very clean and well presented, and the hotel has recently undergone a refurbishment. The staff are very helpful, and when thay realised that several of our family were all staying at the same hotel, the staff moved our rooms to ensure that we were all close together.

« Three day visit to london »

Location is quite close to underground train station, hotel is on a busy main road (very noisy) can't leave your windows open if you are situated in the front of the hotel, make sure you get a room at the end rear, room 202 has shower bath but is only good if you are 4ft tall. When checking in the staff were very speedy and friendly. I booked a double room which is a little on the small side, the room is very clean and modern, you have all the extras that one would need, wifi is very good but there are limits on whaht you can download. Television channels are limited (no sport channels) and if you are travelling from Europe there are no German, French, Italian, Spanish channels only English. Breakfast is average, on my first day the food was Luke warm and the fried eggs were hard and leathery the sausages are the cheapest that one can buy. Chiswick High St has plenty of restaurants and pubs all London prices.

Stayed for four days on a sightseeing trip to London and enjoyed it so much we shall be staying again in the spring .Very pleased with the hotel and especially our room which was clean and comfortable. Special praise for the bathroom ,very modern and bright. Prices are reasonable and I was able to park in the hotel car park with no difficulty. Staff at reception were polite and helpful and recommended a trip to Fullers Brewery which is close by ...enjoyed the tour. The location is very good . Chiswick is pleasant and has a good selection of shops , pubs and restaurants also good train and bus connections for central London.

« Good value for money »

Stayed at this hotel during the rugby world cup. The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel clean and tidy. A good breakfast is included in the room rate and I regard it as good overall value for money. Closest subway station is Turnham Green and about 10 minute's walk away. Only negative is that not all windows can open and one of our group members had a room without an aircon - make sure upon booking that you clarify this.

This is an updated older hotel, quaint and clean, and very handy to the tube. The village itself is lovely, with lots of shops and restaurants. It's close to the Thames, which has a great walking path. The rooms are small but adequate and very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

« Great location and rooms refurbished to high standard »

Stayed here solo for one night on a Saturday in September 2015. I was visiting friends for a party and so wanted somewhere relatively near to their place - this hotel was ideal as it's about 10 minutes walk from Turnham Green tube and in a great location on Chiswick High Road, which has plenty of shops and restaurants. Check-in was smooth - despite being busy, there were 3 receptionists and they found my booking quickly. I was offered the opportunity to upgrade / include breakfast but declined as there was a Sainsbury's just down the road. My single room was downstairs in the basement - it was small but more than adequate for a one night stay. It had a comfy single bed - despite me being 6ft, I had ample room in the bed and the linen was all very clean - a desk and chair, kettle, tea & coffee facilities & biscuits, flat screen TV, hanging space and a decent air con unit. As you'll see from the pictures, there wasn't really a view as it was a basement room but that didn't bother me. The bathroom was also very modern and small but perfectly formed - the shower cubicle was big enough and had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The towels were good quality and spotlessly clean. The free wifi had good signal (even in the basement) and was fairly quick - it was needed though as I didn't have great mobile signal in the room for obvious reasons. I didn't hear any noise during the night really - did hear some guest going past in the afternoon, but other than that, it was silent despite being by the stairs. Overall, as I literally just wanted a place to sleep and spent most of the time elsewhere, this was an ideal room for a short stay - if you've got luggage and / or have a longer stay or will spend more time in your room, you might want to look for somewhere bigger - in terms of location and value for money, I was very pleased.

« Good location with secure parking »

This is a smart, modern Best Western with tiny rooms with barely more space than for a double bed. It is also noisy overnight, we had a lot of loud excitable Spanish co-residents who woke us throughout the night chatting in the hall and slamming doors. However, the good outweighs the bad, it is nice and tidy, beds are comfy, the area is really busy and pleasant, you get secure free parking and the tube in 5 minutes walk away. The city is about 20-25 minutes by tube. Lots of eateries nearby, too, and pleasant staff.

« An average hotel in a good neigbourhood »

Hotel: The hotel consists of multiple buildings and it seems to depend in which building your located how much you will enjoy your stay. It feels more like a combination of 5 houses than a real hotel. Different than I am used to but not bad to be honest. it does have free Wifi! Price: Prices are average for what you pay to be honest. It's not much, but without breakfast included not cheap either. Room: The rooms differ quite a lot, we were located in one of the side buildings and had 3 totally different rooms. 1 was a single bedroom which was really small, one was a larger double room but the bathroom was really old and the last one was a double with a bath in it and looked a bit newer. Strange to see so many differences in rooms. The biggest reason for giving this hotel a 3 is the noise. The rooms are really, really noisy. When somebody in the building takes a shower, you will notice this because of the noise, so if one of the residents decide to take a shower at 6 in the morning, there is a good chance you will wake up because of this! Furthermore not airco seems to be present, not a problem during our stay, but it might get warm during peak summer! bathroom: Not bad, just average and like stated before differences per room. Services: The staff is friendly and the lady walked us to the building. we didn't use any other services in the hotel. Food: We didn't use the food service but there are a lot of dining options close by. neighborhood: Good and nice neighborhood, it felt safe and contains a lot of shops of which a few are open 24/7. i would recommend the area for a stay in londen. The hotel is also close to the metro station which is also a big +. Parking: didn't use the parking, but the lot is really small, wouldn't recommend staying here if you own a big car :). Overall: Overall it's a nice hotel, but i expected more from best western. The noise levels in the room where the most annoying and make me more annoyed. The most important thing for me when staying in a hotel is a good bed, a good shower/bath and a quiet place to get some sleep. Unf. this hotel lacked a lot on the latest point.

    « Hidden little gem »

I had booked a double room via Booking.com and the check-in process was smooth and I was ensconced in my room within 10 minutes. I had chosen this venue as it was on the underground District line from Heathrow airport and close to the location of the Blogger's conference I came to attend. I had requested a ground floor room at the time of the reservation as I was unsure if they would have a working elevator. Fortunately, the hotel has been recently renovated and they have both an elevator to the upper floors, as well what appears to be a lift of sorts into the basement for wheelchair bound guests. The room itself was small, but since I would be out or alone for most of the time, it wasn't really a problem. Everything had a place and the layout optimized the use of space. A small wardrobe fit into an alcove between the bed and the bathroom door and also housed the ironing board and built in safe. The one bedside table was adequate for my needs. The en-suite bathroom was cosy enough for one person and had a toilet, shower and hand basin unit with sufficient storage for toiletries. If I have one pet peeve about hotel bathrooms, it is that they sometimes tend to be less than immaculate in terms of cleanliness. My heart literally skipped a beat when I checked the shower tiles and saw no visible grime. Similarly, when I inspected the areas surrounding the hand basin and couldn't even spot a speck of dust! Every day when I returned from my outings, the room would be restored to an immaculately clean and pristine condition. The complimentary beverages and cookies were restocked in the room on a daily basis, and I was informed that I could also use the complimentary beverage facilities in the hotel lounge. I did not avail of the hotel's buffet breakfast as I left early on most days and preferred to eat on my outings. It may be included as an optional extra when making the booking, or even later when you decide to partake of it. The hotel has free wifi in the rooms and public areas and I was able to connect via more than one device at the same time. In the evenings I sometimes took a walk down the Chiswick High Road for dinner, and the variety of establishments in such a small suburb are remarkable. In addition to cafes, there were also a number of artisanal cheese shops, bakers and delis within walking distance to the hotel. On the day of my check out the front of house staff called a taxi service for me to the airport, as I realized at the last minute that I had no inclination to cart my expanded luggage to the station. The ride to Heathrow Terminal 3 lasted approximately 20 minutes and I was deposited at the entrance to the terminal.

Immaculate, stylish spacious, well appointed ground floor room, comfortable bed, with extra hot drink facilities in the lounge area. The hotel was on the main High Road, and only a 5-6 minute walk from Turnham Green underground station. Very pleasant area, well served by a fantastic selection of eateries. All staff extremely polite and helpful.

« Best hotel find in London! »

Great beautiful updated hotel that is a perfect stay for anyone touring London! The prices of the rooms are extremely reasonable. We could walk to the tube and get to all the amazing sites of London. Staff were excellent! The hotel rooms, although small, were very clean and the hotel is tastefully decorated. A perfect location as the community is very beautiful and some of the best restaurants around! I will definitely be back and cannot think of a more perfect place to stay!

If you stay here check the room is adequate. Our basement room had a bathroom so small that you had to dry off in the bedroom after a shower! 2 people could not be in the room at the same time. There was constant running water noises, presumable because we had basement room. Didnt sleep well. It was overpriced for what we had. The hotel is clean and tidy and the staff fine. Breakfast average.

Probably its London. So its kinda small. You will find it hard to move your body. Probably this is single room with single bed. This is room 102. Facing behind so less noisy. Breakfast included. Expensive at £100. Free tea and coffee all day. 4GB data per device of wifi.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my husband. It's in a lovely area with plenty of choice for eating out. Close to tube and bus routes. Room was clean but small and at the top of the building (in an annex). It was cramped but I suppose ok and functional. We didn't have breakfast as there were so many places on the High Street. In the main reception area you could help yourselves to tea and coffee. You have to get there early in the day to secure a parking place. Narrow entrance to car park.

We spent a couple of nights taking in the sights in London and stayed at Best Western, Chiswick. A recently modernised and very pleasant hotel in easy reach of London town. Sparkling clean with friendly staff and not too far away from the District underground line. No one bothered us and we enjoyed a comfortable and relaxing stay. Highly recommended.

We booked in here for a local family wedding and had a double and a twin room. The booking in process took a little time but only because the very pleasant manager was trying to ensure that we got upgraded. Having stayed in a number of tiny London rooms on business, I was pleased to see that we had a room which was lovely and clean, seating area, good lighting, air conditioning, free wifi and a decent bathroom. The twin room was fine as well. I am unable to comment on the food as we chose to eat breakfast out at the various cafes close by. The hotel is situated within easy reach of lots of pubs, restaurants and cafes and 2 tube stations. I would definitely stay in this hotel again if I need to go back to Chiswick.
