    « Great Logan Stay »

We stayed in a King suite, great comfortable bed, large screen TV. Large room with updated furniture. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a quiet, comfortable stay in Logan, Utah. Would definately stay there again.

« Baugh Best western Logan Utah »

Staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent Room was comfortable Grounds are very clean & neat & scenic. Desk clerks went out of their way to guide us on tourist activities & directions, stayed an extra night to see some of these. Internet was spotty & difficult to get on. Location is easy to find & archetecture was very interesting & different.

    « Nope. »

Cute little old-style motel! Not so cute old-style everything else. The beds were hard AND lumpy. The dirty bathroom made me long for some bleach and an old toothbrush. All faucets leaked, one of them onto the floor. And the non-smoking room smelled of smoke.

« comfy bed. low quality bathroom »

walking in you see a nice room, big tv and fireplace. when you look inside the bathroom, you see chipping celing sheet rock and paint. our room had a creepy window leading nowhere, a really old shower head and a tub with black mold under the silicone sealer . very uncomfortable to use the jets in the tub.. donr know when those were cleaned last. yikes.

    « Relaxing comfort »

The Baugh Hotel offers a sweet hometown experience with the most comfortable beds in town. We have stayed at 7 other hotels in town over the years just to check them out and because a few offered cheaper rates. In our elderly years we have found that cheaper or expensive rates do not necessarily mean comfort. The beds at the Baugh Hotel are perfect for us due to arthritis and back pain. We enjoy the breakfast offered and often take it back to our room due to the small eating area. The employees are friendly and professional.

« Older Classic but excellently maintained »

My parents and family visited this motel a few times in the 1960's, and my wife and I visited it Sept 2016 - and I was very impressed with how well they have maintained this classic brick architecture motel to date. Good beds, good TV, good bathrooms, clean and good breakfast with hot eggs and sausage to boot. Add in their reasonable price and we were pleased to spend our time there.

    « western road trip »

It was very refreshing to stay in such a lovely "motor court" type of place. We had a very lovely large corner suite that our dogs could enjoy with us. There was a grass covered yard with a stream running through it behind the room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance to restaurants. We loved the place! Hope it doesn't change.

« Review of Logan BW Hotel »

While the staff was pleasant and accommodating, the property is a little dated and could use some eventual upgrades. The heating system controls did not work correctly and a lamp did not function. The carpet was nice and the bed clean and comfortable. Its just a little old and could use some more modern touches here and there.

« Utah National Parks trip »

This Motel is a gem. It is a colonial-style motel and has been in the family for many years. It is in wonderful condition and when repairs are needed they try to use original materials. The furnishings are beautiful and are also of the colonial period. The grounds have a picnic area near the Logan river which borders their property. The staff is wonderful and they provide a full hot breakfast with pancakes, eggs, bacon, juice, fruit, etc. Jeffrey checked us in. He was extremely congenial and helpful. Our room was immaculate. There is a heated outdoor swimming pool and hot tub. The Blue Bird Restaurant about 2 blocks away had wonderful food and homemade chocolates. The interior was of the old soda fountain style.

« Older but nicely maintained »

My wife and I stayed at the motel so that I could attend a conference. When I made my reservation, there were no regular queen singles, and I had to take and upgraded King for more money. The 2nd room was nicely decorated with modern TV, Internet and lighting. The bed was very comfortable the HVAC did a great job. The bathroom had older style, but very well maintained equipment, except for the controls for the tub which were a little temperamental. The hot breakfast was good for this kind of a situation, but the breakfast room was pretty small and was very crowded and hard to get around in with everyone trying to get to the food items. The hotel has a pool, but we didn't swim. The conference room was in the basement of one of the buildings, and was rather long and narrow, but the temperature was adequately controlled, and the furnishings and decorations were pleasant. The motel is just south of the center of Logan, and only two blocks N of one of the best brew pubs and resturants in Logan. The parking is generous and it was easy to get into and out of the motel

    « A 12 on a scale of one to ten »

My husband and I stayed there a week ago while returning home and couldn't say better things for this motel. One of the nice rooms we have ever had. The front desk was personable and lovely. Restaurants were close by for dinner and wonderful homemade breakfast.

« Excellent room and lots of room »

Excellent hotel room, clean rooms, good size breakfast and good choice of food as well. Property would looks like resort if exterior is worked on little. Its much better inside than what it looks from outside

« The front desk was inviting and helpful »

We stayed here for 2 nights while my spouse had his family reunion in Smithville. Upon check in the gentleman at the front desk was helpful and informational. The room was comfortable and near the pool which my son loved since we are from southeast alaska we were over heating in this clement change. The house keeper did change out put towels but did not finish the room; which was fine, and she was a little quiet when she approached us to see if we needed room service. However the following moring upon check out we had a different housekeeper which stopped by the room 2 hours before check out time and we just finished breakfast 5 min after getting back to the room to gather our belongings for the 11 am check out time.

    « Really lovely »

From the outside I was really worried the room would be awful but I was surprised- we hit jackpot! We booked on booking . Com and we have had a few nasty surprises with hotels, but this was lovely. The room is huge, with quaint old fashioned furniture- like real old Wild West ( in my opinion). Clean and a comfortable bed. Not yet had breakfast but my first impression is a high five to my husband that picked it. We were travelling from Bryce Canyon to here, en route to Yellowstone. I'd come again for sure.

    « very nikce motel »

An American dream. A very nice motel, nicely flowered, nice, quiet, clean and lovely. Friendly reception staff. Very nice employees of maintenance and cleaning. Pool and jacuzzi well maintained, located at the centre of a small quiet place surrounded by several wings of the motel (1 floor) Breakfast continental/American very good. Room a little small. Possibility to take the breakfast in a Chair in front of each entrance Chamber. Magnificent. At the rear of the building (2nd floor), a very nice plot of green grass at the edge of a beautiful small river lined with trees to rest quietly.

« Destination Resort in Logan, UT! »

We had a two day family reunion and really enjoyed the pool and picnic areas. We were close to fast food, Willow Park and Willow Zoo which our toddler grandchildren enjoyed thoroughly and yet they were close to cool, quiet rooms for naps and quiet times. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and the air conditioning kept the rooms nice and cool. We were close together yet we each had the privacy of separate rooms. Big rooms! The FREE Hot Breakfast was excellent too. I plan to buy a pillow from the motel for use at home. We plan to do this again in the future.

« Comrtable, clean, hepful and friendly hosts »

Built in the mid-20th century, this family-owned and -managed motel has been very well maintained, has nice grounds, and is only a block and a half from Logan's city center--within walking distance of the Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre, which we attended for three memorable shows in late July 2016. A moderate, hot breakfast is included--the space for dining is a bit tight, so it's best to start this meal at least 25 minutes before the end of the breakfast hours. Beds were quite comfortable. Having had three back surgeries, I am especially picky. What really stands out is the friendliness of all of the staff. They welcome you as if you had been friendly next-door neighbors for decades, and they will go out of their way to help you.

    « Good, Clean Accomodations »

This was a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. The hotel isn't new, but it has been maintained nicely, is nicely furnished, and is kept clean. The grounds are beautiful (take a walk behind the hotel and sit by the river.) The pool looked very inviting. There was a full breakfast with several options. The gentleman who checked us in offered everything just short of a foot rub. (Fresh hot cookies in the afternoon.) I really don't think I've seen a hotel try harder for its' guests. It is a family owned and operated hotel (in the area I grew up in), and has been around as long as I can remember. I've not had a reason to stay there until now, and I had no idea it was so nice. The Baugh family certainly takes pride in ownership and it shows.

    « A very nice looking motel »

The big thing I remember about this place is how well it was kept up. It is obviously an older place, but it is in excellent repair and is frankly just beautiful as a building. I would like to say it is brick, and I at least retain the impression that it is a fine maroon color. I was impressed with the landscaping, something I usually do not notice. The room was not just spotless, but it was tastefully decorated with furnishings that gave the impression of graceful age, as if one had gone back forty or fifty years and was seeing a nice hotel of that period when it was new. They served a good breakfast in a special room near the office, and it did include real breakfast food and not just rolls and fruit. This is a rather large property, and I was a little puzzled as to why there seemed to be so few guests. The parking lots were mostly empty. I know October is not exactly a tourist season, but I would have expected more people in a good sized city like Logan. Oh, well. somebody else's loss. There was, apparently, at one time a restaurant on the premises, but it is now closed. However, the desk clerk said there was a rumor it was to be purchased and re-opened. Very nice, quiet place.

    « I'd return here any time »

We just returned from a three night stay at this hotel. What a little gem! We were in town to see several performances of the Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theater. We couldn't have been in a more convenient location, just a block and a half away from the theater. There were many great restaurants within a short walking distance of the hotel as well. This hotel has been family owned and run by the same family for 60 years. The friendly young woman who waited on me at check out turned out to be the great granddaughter of the man who opened the hotel in 1956. You don't find family-run hotels much any more! They provided such warm and friendly service. The included breakfast was far better than what's usually offered in corporation-owned chain hotel. On our first morning in the breakfast room, the cook came out into the dining area to greet and briefly chat with each of the guests. The beds and pillows in our room were super comfortable. The room was quiet and we got a great night's sleep. We especially loved the pool area. The pool is large and immaculate and the water is heated to a very comfortable temperature. It's nicely fenced, for privacy, with many lounge chairs for sunning or tables and chairs under an overhang for shaded relaxing. Surprisingly, very few guests were using the pool during our stay and we had it almost all to ourselves. Typically when we travel, we choose a hotel that is large, relatively new or recently remodeled, with upscale decor. I wasn't finding anything like that when I searched for a hotel in Logan, so I settled for the Baugh, given its very reasonable rates and the fact that it was described, in reviews, as clean and comfortable. Another factor in my selection is that guests booking a three night stay were being given a code to use to buy discounted tickets to Festival performances. We couldn't have been more happy with our hotel choice. It's likely we'll return to Logan in the future, for the Festival, and we will always stay at the Best Western Baugh. It was a charming, vintage place to stay.

    « Roomy & Clean »

We stayed here for two nights while visiting family. The rooms are large, clean, and very comfortable. It's in a beautiful setting with a river running behind the property. We were very happy with the outdoor pool and hot tub. We'll definitely be back!

    « Wonderful Stay! »

Thank you BEST WESTERN LOGAN for making our stay so comfortable. The room was great - the Pool was so clean and refreshing and the breakfast was an added bonus! We truly enjoyed Jeffrey, the front desk clerk who was so helpful! He is GREAT! We plan to come back next year!

    « This is excellent »

A very nice place to stay in Logan Utah and a memory for us as we had our honeymoon night there. This was before it was a Best Western and was a private entity. But it is a very nice place in the heart of downtown Logan. There they have a wonderful festival of musical plays that we wanted to see and the Baugh motel was within walking distance of the theatre where we saw those events.

    5
    « Theatre Visit »

Lovely hotel and grounds with small river and grassy area in back. Great outdoor pool and centrally located to theatre district and good restaurants. Will definitely visit again. The bed was very comfortable as were the rooms.

« Best Western Baugh Motel »

This is a very nice motel and pet friendly as well. The rooms are nicely done in a traditional style and are spacious, and included are a fridge, a microwave, a large bathroom and comfortable beds. They have a nice breakfast as well. It is family-run and very friendly and efficient. The grounds are also lovely. We were not there long enough to take advantage of the swimming pool as we were enroute and only stayed the night, but we would definitely stay there again if we ever have the chance. It is in a very convenient location as well.

    4
« Quiet Comfort on Main Sreet »

The staff is as warm as the fresh baked cookies offered at Tea Time and the site along the stream is very peaceful, despite this vintage motel's location right in the center of old town. It is a delightful throwback to another era; no frills,, but all required comfort we expect.

« Comfortable stay after long drive »

We stayed this hotel on our way during return journey from Bryce Canyon and Cedar Breaks at Utah. We arrived in this hotel at midnight. At reception we found one representative who made our check-in process smooth and quick. He provided room at 1st floor level as per our request during booking. This hotel have few two story buildings and few single story buildings. But they have motel like arrangement and have no elevator. However, we parked our car below our room and entered in our allocated room with all our bag and baggage. Condition of the room was good, beds were comfortable and all amenities like Microwave, Refrigerator, Flat screen TV etc. were working nicely. Speed of wireless internet was also very good. After a nice sleep at morning we arrived in breakfast room (breakfast time 6-30 to 9-30 AM) near reception. In this connection it may need to mention that they have many buildings for staying and as a result guest need to move out from their building and need to walk/ drive few hundreds foots to reach breakfast room and reception. It may be a concern during rain and cold weather. However, breakfast was good. It consisted of egg, pork, bread butter, serials, juice, curd, muffins, pancakes, tea., coffee etc. Service at breakfast room was also good and that staff filled items even up to last moment, which we normally do not observe in many hotels. We stayed here for only one day, Our check out experience also good. Location of the hotel is also at convenient place. Just side of highway and facing mountain of Logan. We liked this hotel for good amenities and quality of maintenance with cheaper rate than many other hotels at Logan. If we plan to stay in Logan in future, we shall consider this hotel first.

« fun throw back to the 50's »

This is a great throw back to the 50's clean updated rooms with 50;s bathroom. Nice friendly staff, great pool. don't stay here if you're a snob. This place is for down to earth people, who can appreciate the past history of this well cared for hotel.

    « Great stay »

Molly was great to work with. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable! Very clean rooms, very quiet hotel! We come to Utah every year, so this will be high up on the lists of hotels to stay at. Also walking distance to many nice places to eat.

« So disappointed with lack of follow up! »

I am a Best Western Rewards member and I booked and paid for a room online May 2016. Early the morning of my check-in I had a family emergency and had to get to the Huntsman Cancer facility in Utah ASAP. I stopped in at the hotel and explained the situation to the front desk clerk and cancelled my room out of courtesy. I also asked for clarification on the cancellation policy any my chance for a refund. He stated that the I would need to talk to the manager but that he would give her my name and phone number. I called on Monday, two days after I had cancelled, and asked for manager. She was not in and I called back and this went on for four days where I could never seem to talk to her. She was not in yet or was in and busy and they said she would return my call and she never did. I think over a two week span I called 6 times with no success at talking with her and/or receiving a call back from her. Even if the answer to a refund had been "no" I would have felt better than the poor communication this manager demonstrated. I won't book or stay there.

« Great Place to Stay, with or without Pets »

We were in Logan for a doctor's visit and to attend the art fair. This motel was very nicely located for both. Beautiful park like setting for walking the dogs. Big trees for beating the heat. Beautifully maintained old style motel built around a court yard parking lot with a pool and lots of big trees. The room was large and very clean, the beds were wonderfully comfortable. This is the kind of peaceful and lovely older motel I wish I could find in every place we travel to.

« our stay in Logan, UT »

We often travel to Logan for business and pleasure. We like to stay at the Baugh Motel because we can swim and soak in the hot tub. Breakfast is a bonus and being able to have our dogs with us makes the biggest difference. It is convenient to everything in the valley.

    4
« Good location for Bear Lake. »

The motel was easy to find and well located on Main street so we could walk to local shops and restaurants. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The pool was closed but we could sit outside there.Breakfast was unusual.

    5
    « Very Nice Motel »

Clean room, very nice and helpful staff, charming property grounds and a nice neighborhood are just just a few things to expect when booking this place. I have been to Logan multiple times and this is my first stay here and I thoroughly hope to have the opportunity to stay here again. The check-in was simple and quick upon arrival. Once we got to our room I was rather surprised at the size of it. This is an older property but the room was rather large. Most importantly of all, everything was spotless. The bed was very comfortable and again, very clean. The included hot breakfast was very good and the server was incredibly nice. This stay was an absolute pleasure and I look forward to returning.

    4
    « Nice surprise! »

Great, well-tended older property! Pillow top beds were fantastic and the 1930s retro bathroom was wonderful, with great tiling and deep old tub for soaking. Staff was great, nice little breakfast room and choices. Price reasonable and right downtown near everything. Would recommend or stay again!

    5
    « Pleasantly surprised »

We had stayed before but the kindness showed, the quality of the room and facility, the great breakfast and the location, made it all just a great weekend. it is a wonderful city. the motel is just out of the craziness of downtown so you feel like you are close to everything but not in the midst of everything. it was just a relaxing weekend. We relaxed there more than at any other time. We just felt right at home and pleased with the service and location.

    4
    « Charming Property »

I love the openness of this hotel. It has a very peaceful setting and is open and inviting. The temperature of the pool is perfect, the rooms are quaint, and the hotel staff very helpful and accommodating. My two complaints are the beds aren't the most comfortable that I have slept on and the breakfast is average and served in a very small location.

    4
« A peaceful start for my trip to the Grand Tetons »

This small city has some of the nicest and friendliest folks one would ever want to meet. This motel was also very peaceful, spotlessly clean, and having a very comfortable bed. I only found three minor things that annoyed me, which was mainly the awkward position of the toilet paper dispenser. The maid had wisely put the next roll up on the window ledge above the heater facing me, as to offer a much better solution. It was also a very long walk to the ice machine and the outdoor hot tub was not yet open for the summer season. Since none of these three things are needed very often, they only count as very minor problems. The full breakfast was quite filling enough to hold me over until I got to the Grand Tetons that afternoon.

    5
    « Clean »

The most important thing for us is to feel comfortable and without worries about cleanness. We experienced it during our stay. We were welcomed warmly and the breakfast before our departure was really good.

    4
    « trip was good »

the room was very cozy and clean but the only problem I had was I couldn't get the room cool to my liking. I either didn't properly operate the machine or it could use an upgrade but overall the room didn't disappoint.

  • 5
    « Very pleased »

We were very impressed with the pleasantly efficient way Jeffrey treated us and the way he handled a heater problem in the first two rooms we were assigned to.....he was so apologetic (even though it was not his fault!) and upgraded us as a reward for our patience....we didn't feel that was necessary....we felt bad we were causing him a problem! He also offered to get us signed up for Best Western credits from now on.....Truly a very accommodating employee!!

    4
« Peak Rates not so good »

Went in to Logan for commencement exercises at USU. This was a peak time for all motels. Second night paid 140.00 for a substandard room. First night, paid 80 for a upscale terrific room. However, other motels were asking 250.00.

    4
« Nice place, good price »

We enjoy this hotel. It isn't the swankiest of places, but the rooms are large and clean, the beds and pillows are comfortable, and they take big dogs. We always stay here when we go to Logan. It's convenient to the University and other attractions in town, and there is plenty of space for walking the dogs.

    5
    « Wonderful Visit »

We enjoyed the spacious room. We had to have a roll-away brought in for the granddaughters and there was still LOTS of space to maneuver in the room. Large bathroom! Very clean. The breakfast was great, good selection and friendly lady. VERY comfy beds!

    5
« Great Stay at the Best Western Baugh Motel »

The main office has a unique history. The top of the building looks like a light house. The staff was friendly and answered my questions about the buildings history. The room was nice and met my needs.

« Thanks for hosting mushers »

Thanks to Best Western Baugh for being a sponsor of the k9 challenge sled dog race and providing a discounted rate for participants. Nice to have a consistent clean hotel to annually host the mushers for the sled dog race. very relaxed setting.

« Got a free upgrade for being a diamond member »

I was pleased that they offered me a free upgrade in my room for being a diamond rewards member. The parking was close to the room and had an easy walk to a nice thai restaurant nearby you should really try.

    « Disgusting »

We ended up here through Priceline and out of the dozens of times we have used Priceline, this is the most disgusting place we have ever ended up and we'er are suck for 2 nights!! They gave us a smoking room and they told us to upgrade to a non smoking room it would cost an extra $50 a night. The room is gross and when I set a book on the desk it stuck! Not sure I want to know what i just washed off the desk! lesson learned ?? avoid this place and priceline. So much for a nice weekend away.

    4
    « Comfy and Clean. »

We always enjoy our stay at the Baugh Motel. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There is a fridge in the room that we often use. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a simple hot breakfast available. The shower had good pressure and stayed nice and hot.

    5
« Utensil need an upgrade »

everything at this motel was perfect. friendly staff, very quiet, computer area was very dusty and must not have been used in months. eating utensils where all cheap plastic. very clean rooms with lots of room. bed was unbelievably comfortable. i would definitely stay here my next trip around.

« Nice place to stay »

This is a family owned operation. They go out of their way to ensure your are adequately taken care of. Only problem here is the Best Western Corporation and their requirement of the ONE cup coffee pots. Best Western, What is your issue with family service. For a lot of us, 1 cup just doesn't start our engines.

    4
    « old favorite »

I've been staying at this motel for many years, since I was a graduate student at Utah State University. It's family-owned, and the people who run it are family members, so it has a bit of the feeling of staying with distant relatives. Even though it's right in the heart of downtown, easy walking distance to nearly everything, it's extremely quiet, private and comfortable.

    3
« ok for one night stand »

We were there for a football game so the prices spiked up for that night. I thought the increase in price was a bit too much for the quality of the motel. It was clean and nice to look at. Parking was good and we felt safe in this area of town.

    4
    « Decent place for a nap »

I just needed a room for a two day trip to Logan, for a conference. Because i was at the conference I checked in very late at night, but someone was still there to help me. The rooms were pretty good, and the only problem I had was that the fire alarm was triggered from the steam in the shower. I've never seen that happen before, but it wasn't a huge deal.

    5
    « Just Right »

I picked this place because the price is right and my expectations were exceeded. They went the extra mile to make the stay nice. The room was spacious and quiet, the extra blankets were wrapped to stay clean. Even the tv remote was wrapped to stay clean. Breakfast was good. I would recommend this place to my mom. :-)

    5
    « excellent care »

This was a very pleasant experience in beautiful Logan, Utah. All the service staff were helpful and extremely eager to give me a comfortable stay. The rooms are immaculate. I should definitely return to this hotel on my next visit to Utah State University.

    « Horribl,, »

The sign said pillow top mattresses on it. Didn't happen..probably one of my worst nights rest ever. Service was very good at front desk.we won't be back! Very thin walls as well..very outdated in its entirety.

    3
    « OK »

An older property in need of a facelift. The best price I could find for something purportedly decent in Logan. Lots of heavy equipment stored in public places. Breakfast room is small. Food was marginal to ok, but nothing to write home about.

    4
« Clean rooms and nice breakfast »

Nothing wrong with this motel. Rooms are clean and spacious, beds are comfortable and breakfast is tastefull. Only minor thing is that there's a lot noise outside near the pool area but this stopped around 11 pm so we could sleep and have a good stay at this best western.

This motel is Logan Utah's best kept secret. Very good accommodations, and very clean rooms. We were very pleased with the pleasant room, and grounds. The staff was very good. We were very happy with the area and would recommend this to others.

We traveled to Logan to help our daughter move onto the university. The Baugh Motel was a very nice place to stay. It has a lovely exterior, super clean and comfortable room. One of the best beds I've ever slept on. The staff was very nice and helpful as well. The location was excellent for all of our needs.

Nice clean hotel, quaint older furnishings in perfect working order and cleanliness. The bathroom had pink tile with a dark trim which looked like it had recently been re caulked. It looked like an effort was being made to keep the older hotel well maintained. Bed was a little hard.
