« Nice hotel close to Hannover Airport »

Stayed here one night on our trip down to southern part of Germany. Very pleasent room, and very nice breakfast buffet - the best we had during our stay in Germany. Hotel has a good location near Airport, and with nearby train to both airport or Hannover central. Good parking facilities if you are in car.

« OK, not more, not less »

A basic Best Western with ok rooms. A bit worn down, but otherwise clean enough. Friendly staff and, surprisingly, good food in the restaurant. On the downside there are not enough parking spaces, which is annoying. Close to airport Hannover-Langenhagen and Autobahn A2 and B352 which connects to the A7.

« Not bad, i am simply not impressed »

I will stay at the hotel for 4 nights. My experiences? It's too hot in there! Rooms and restaurant are badly airco-ed. In regards to diner I'm for sure not impressed. After 3 days I am not sure whether I would like to eat overthere a 4 th time due to the fact they only offer a very limited menucard. Food in general doesn't taste like being fresh. More welldone then medium baked? Parking in the basement will be charged at an additional rate per day without prior notice. Being a reference visitor for my company I cannot rate it as 'the place to be'. Sorry for that but maybe I'm spoiled based on earlier experiences in this region.

« Excellent for Short City Break »

Stayed here for two nights whilst visiting friends who had been ill. The Hotel has lovely bright decor and is spotlessly clean. The rooms were a good size and the beds comfortable. The floor covering in the corridors meant you didn't here cases being dragged along in the night which makes a nice change to hotels near airports. The staff were very friendly and we have to mention Carmen who went the extra mile for guests including having a language dictionary at hand which helped with Spanish guests who spoke no German and little English trying to order a meal late at night. It is close to the tram which took 20 minutes to the City centre. Breakfast and evening snack very good. Will stay here again.

    « Hannover Messe 2016 »

Let me say from the beginning that they increased the price minimum twice only for the fair. It is well connected by railway to the centre but the price is not worth the service. The staff is ok but at 200€ per night it is the minimum. And you don't have a great choice at the restaurant: the same menu everyday. Take care that if it is the day off for the staff the restaurant is closed. Amazing.

    « A Good Quality Basic Hotel »

I stayed here for a couple of nights whilst working at CeBIT. It is a long way from the Messe, but the prices of hotels there were so ridiculous I couldnt stand to pay them ( even though my company was paying ), this hotel was more reasonable - although will still be high compared to other weeks. Getting to CeBIT was very easy on the tram, the tram stop is 200 metres from the hotel, and although you have to change in the city centre, its the same platform at the station - you just get off , wait 90 seconds, then catch the next tram - and the hotel had printed instructions. In fact the tram service was better than taxis, and you buy tickets from a machine on the tram platform. The hotel was a little austere, it was very clean, and well maintained, but had lino/laminate flooring and quite basic decoration. The bathroom had a shower and bottles of shower gel/shampoo all-in-one on the walls , I was glad I had taken my own toiletries. However the staff were really lovely. The reception staff were really helpful, and the staff in the restaurant in the evenings were very chatty and pleasant. The food was OK, nothing spectacular but not bad at the end of a long day, with the breakfast being better than dinner. I would stay here again unless I got a better deal closer to the centre.

    « Ideal airport hotel... »

Situated about 10 minutes from the airport, this hotel is ideally located for transfers without having all the associated airport noises. Check in is from 3pm with friendly and helpful staff in a small reception area. Check out is 12 noon on the day of departure. Parking is available on site for a daily fee. Adjacent to reception there is a small bar area and restaurant. Breakfast is served from 6:30 - 10:00am and dinner up to 10:00pm. One small lift (max. 2 people with luggage) is available to the rooms. Room 119 with twin beds was pleasantly decorated and provided basic facilities. There was open hanging and shelf storage for clothes with closed shelving and a mini bar in an adjacent cupboard. Other room facilities included tea / coffee tray, free Wi-Fi (reliable), a small desk and TV. The bathroom had a walk in shower (small step up) with complimentary shower gel and a wall mounted hairdryer. Dinner was served in the restaurant and offered a good but not extensive selection of meals. The food quality and service here was good. Early checkout was efficient and local taxis readily available for airport transfers.

« Nordic Hotel Ambiente Hannover »

Nice comfortable hotel in Hanover with a very nice and friendly restaurant. The rooms were nice, the bar is good and the food tasted great. What more can you ask for. Extremely convenient for the airport, railway station and city centre.

« Might be the best in Langenhagen but still a mediocre hotel »

In all fairness, it was a very warm day with maximum temperatures of around 30 degrees. The fact that when checking in, the (very friendly) receptionist already warned us about the temperature in the room I had booked, didn't promise a lot of good... Upon entry of the room, which was on the 4th floor, the term "hot" was even an understatement; it was scorching... No air-conditioning and only a little fan meant it would be a sweaty night? I just felt lucky that I was only going to be here for one night as the forecast predicted temperature above 35?C for the days to come. The room itself was tiny, the bed very narrow and the bathroom basic. Highlight was the shower which had very good water pressure (exactly what you need after a sweaty night). Best feature of the hotel is breakfast. Good breads, perfect (several style) eggs, salmon, a choice of cheeses and charcuteries, yogurts and fast service. A good start of the day!

« Ideal for overnight stay »

Super location as it is very near to the motorway. Easy to find. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Good breakfast. Quiet. Staff were friendly. Parking available for a small fee. If you are visiting Hannover a tram passes near the hotel.

    « CeBIT 2015 »

I stayed at this hotel during my visit to the CeBIT 2015 expo. It is in a good location, near both the S train station and the U train stop, so it is very easy to get around. It is also near the airport and near downtown Hanover by train. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was surprisingly good and with many different options. Overall, it is a great place to stay during a business or leisure trip.

    « At last a hotel with a restaurant! »

At last I find a hotel with a restaurant. Normally, I'm told that there isn't one and it's always a bit of a disappointment. I tend to check into hotels in the early evening after a busy day, and I look forward to chilling in the hotel restaurant with a decent meal and a glass of wine. Instead, I regularly find myself wandering the streets of a strange town looking for a restaurant. Not today, as Buzz Lightyear might have said. The Nordic Hotel Ambiente in Langenhagen ? where CDs were first mass-produced and where Elrike Meinhoff was arrested in 1972 ? near Hannover in Germany has a restaurant, but despite this, I still wandered out to see what was on offer. In fact, there's a decent Italian restaurant somewhere but I can't find it; I first stumble across a pub and then a Chinese restaurant so I headed back to the hotel for dinner. Armed with a copy of the Economist I ordered a salmon starter and a cod main course, not forgetting a wheat beer, and settled in for a relaxing evening reading about President Putin. This is a good hotel. Let's start with the check-in, which was fast, efficient and friendly. Within minutes I had my room card and soon I found myself in Room 210 on the second floor. They say little things please little minds and I was taken aback by, of all things, the wood-effect linoleum flooring because it looked like real wood. In the corridors they had the same pattern repeated but this time it was carpet (quite a design feat, I thought, resorting to touching it to confirm it was carpet and not linoleum). I'm pleased to report that the Nordic Hotel Ambiente trusts its guests: there was a full minibar! As for the bathroom, it was good to have a walk-in shower and not the usual shower-in-the bath set-up. The WiFi worked fine, there was a decent flatscreen TV ? but no British channels ? so I switched off the light and fell asleep. The next morning, last night's hotel restaurant had a new identity. The bright sun was a contributory factor, but everything looked more colourful than last night, there were nightlights on bare tables and it took a lot of effort to re-imagine the white-tableclothed restaurant from last night. I chose fresh fruit, yoghurt and muesli with a pot of tea and a couple of small croissants and then, after a walk around town (which is dominated by a pleasant shopping mall) I returned to the room to pack. Checkout was straightforward and soon I was on a tram heading for Hannover Hbf and a train to Brussels. I liked the Nordic Hotel Ambiente for many reasons: the people on the front desk were friendly and helpful; the room was comfortable and the food and beverage options were good. I'd definitely return.
